The Hotel Quirinale offers all guests an unforgettable 4 Star Roman vacation in the very heart of one of the most celebrated cities on Earth. The elegance and charm are befitting a hotel surrounded by Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Venezia and the Trevi Fountain. Each of the 209 rooms is decorated with period furniture and equipped with every modern comfort. The excellent service and hospitality of the Hotel Quirinale welcomes tourists, families and business travelers with efficiency, professionalism and style. Guests can enjoy the elegant restaurant, cozy bar, private garden, exclusive fitness facilities as well as conference rooms that can be tailored to the needs of business meetings, wedding banquets and industry conventions.
Well located and a walk or 1 tube stop (1.5 euro a ticket) from the main railway and bus station. An old hotel with some charm around lifts, staircases and the garden area where breakfast is served. Breakfast is ok - perhaps less than what I would hope for in a 4 star (but in line with others in Italy we stayed at). We stayed in a small double - we knew small when booked and this was represented in the price. This was also ok, but as they said not generous, but would rather have smaller room in a better hotel. Lots of decent restaurants and pizza trattorias (go left out of the front door and about half a mile and left again - lots of decent choice in this area, at good prices) Somewhat disappointed that water in the fridge was not replaced each day - said you had to use room service which implied a cost.
The moment we arrived we didn't like this hotel. The staff are not friendly and the place is very dirty. On the surface the decor is opulent and Italian. However when you scratch the surface it is run down, dirty and staff do not care. Positives Decent location for restaurants, shops and train station Size of the rooms Negatives Dirty. Carpets filthy. Needs maintenance Smell of sewerage through the air vents Room had previously had a leak so the flooring was uneven in the entrance way and smelt fusty Air con doesn't come on till May. Didn't have any fans so no sleep in the heat. Room was 25 degrees on our second night. You can open the windows but the area is noisy all night. You either sweat so much you can't sleep or noise and heat makes you not sleep. Staff not friendly Breakfast really poor. Couldn't eat anything. It tasted awful and there was no choice at all. It isn't fresh. The garden bar service was poor. Waited so long to be served and waiter rude. Other people complaining about this too. The bathrooms smell disgusting and showers are not great in the bath (it is too near the taps) Really disappointing with this hotel. It was a special occasion and it was totally ruined. We had a terrible time.
One of the staff was quite fierce and dismissed me by saying It was upgraded when I asked about my room reservation. Check in staff did not inform me that they have changed my room too. Booked a room with bathtub but was given a handicapped toilet. The bell boy was polite and friendly though. Breakfast was ok but with good variety of food. Room doesn't look like the photo that they have posted. Dated furnitures. Noisy neighbourhood if the room faced the main road which happens to be ours. Overall, not recommended for couples and families with kids.
Hotel Quirinale was the perfect getaway experience for me and my boyfriend. The hotel is located in a gorgeous old building with lots of character, but all of the amenities were still modern enough to make it a very luxurious stay. The service and cleanliness were top notch, especially with COVID still happening. The breakfast buffet and Rossini restaurant provided delicious meals, really exceeding my expectations. It's worth noting that the bed was also extremely comfortable, as I have back problems and very often have difficulty with beds other than my own. I don't think I can praise this hotel enough. Thank you Quirinale!
This was my fourth visit to my favourite city and this was the nicest of the 4 hotels I've stayed in. The location is super and the style of this hotel is old world charm which really enhances a trip to Rome. The room was beautiful with high ceiling and chandelier! Loved the spacious bathroom too. All of the staff we met were very helpful and we really appreciated how accommodating reservations were as we had to postpone a few times due to Covid lockdowns. For breakfast it was perfectly adequate but some fresh fruit and better quality of juice would have been nice and an additional toaster as there was a bit of a queue some mornings. But overall this is a lovely hotel and I would definitely recommend it.
An enjoyable 3 night break here. It's a traditional style hotel with old fashioned charm. The stay was very comfortable, everywhere was extremely clean, staff were helpful. Breakfast was basic but adequate. It was convenient for the Roma Termini railway station-10 mins easy walk & 10-15 mins easy walk to the Roman Forum/Palatine Hill/Colosseum
We were 3 adults in a big suite, very pleased with. The hotel was clean. The room was spacious. The breakfast was not very rich but not so bad. The location was absolutely perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I could recommend that hotel!
Arrived in the eternal city, Rome, on 24th march 22, had booked this hotel on a friend's recommendation and it certainly filled the bill, beautiful elegant style with antique furniture displayed on every floor, we had a room with a balcony overlooking their garden, staff were super friendly and helpful with information, great location, 10 minutes walk to central station, if I get to return I'll certainly use this lovely stylish hotel
After booking two years ago we finally arrived. The hotel has a feel of the Age of Elegance - our room was good, clean and with all the basic necessaries. Breakfast is very good and well managed and the hotel is well located near to the Metro, train station with several good restaurants near by. I would especially note the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and very professional. All in all, a good place to stay.
This hotel gave off a regal upscale vibe visually, but the room was small and a bit dated, The bathroom door was a wooden sliding door that provided no real privacy if you were sharing the room with anyone. The toilet took quite a bit of effort to flush each and every time. It was very inconvenient and the staff just seemed to be ok with the fact that it worked even though it was quite inconvenient. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel on our last night and they were vey unorganized and the food was just ok. The service was poor, as if they didn't have enough staff to accommodate the amount of patrons. Also the noise level of the carts rolling down the halls were annoyingly LOUD. Overall, the stay was not terrible. It was very conveniently located to everything you could need or want. However, I would not stay here again.
When we arrived at the hotel the hotel had a problem with the system at that time Katherine received us very kindly. She is a very kind person at that time she became my accomplice to surprise my husband for the 5 years of our anniversary. together with Alain they surprised him! it was very pretty. I recommend the Hotel and when you arrive ask for Katherine she will kindly help you
This was a really nice hotel with even nicer staff. I went here for my 21st birthday and had a blast the hotel isn't as lively as others in the area but it was busy non the less. Our rooms were cleaned everyday which was very appreciated. For the Americans planing to travel remember to bring was rags and make sure to buy USA-to-EU power adapters to charge your devices the hotel does not supply either of those. The rooms were decent but the bathrooms were very beautiful. The breakfast was free but is consistent and doesn't change day to day. The hotel is rather close to most attractions and Ubers or busses are readily available. We definitely plan on visiting Rome again but might give a different hotel a try.
I know how challenging it is to find a nice hotel with good service, that's clean, has character--and is not a chain. This hotel is it. It's beautiful with old world charm, well-kept, and well-located. The photos are true to life--elegant lobby and restaurant, spacious rooms, well-appointed bathrooms. The staff was very responsive--giving me exactly the room configuration I asked for (queen bed in one room, two twins in the other) and even allowed my 19-year-old daughter to stay in the room after we checked out. The maid service was impeccable. The water pressure was divine, and I especially liked the fact that they used refillable soap and shampoo (no need to ask for more as well as environmentally sensitive; no conditioner so bring your own, which, luckily, I had). The towels were fluffy and ample, and they gave us enough each day (no wash clothes, oddly enough). Bathrobes and slippers were the cherry on top. The location is wonderful--it is a solid walk (20 minutes or so) to the pantheon, coliseum, and Spanish steps/Trevi fountain--BRING THICK-SOLED SHOES! I would have walked a lot more if I had brought shoes that worked better on cobblestones. As it was, my boots and Vans just couldn't handle it though I've had no issues in the past. The Via Nazionale is quite nice with many shops. Rapid COVID testing is available just up the way at the plaza/circle in a pharmacy in the colonnaded building to your left. As an older building (dating back to 1800s) there is a tiny bit of wear and tear but nothing major. In fact, given the exquisite details, it's remarkable how well-maintained it is. Everyone wore masks -- felt quite safe. In sum--a great hotel. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the breakfast (which was part of the room rate, so really, who can complain) was mediocre along with the restaurant. Bartender was very nice--made a tasty mojito. ALSO--we contacted them after the fact to leave a tip for service staff--they told us it wasn't necessary but that they would use it to donate to a fund in support of the Ukraine as one of their employees was from there.
The pictures of the hotel looked amazing. I felt that the furniture, walls, bathroom seemed old and a bit run down rather than very grand which is what I was imagining. Shame our bathroom had a shower curtain which doesn't make you feel comfortable in a shower. However, staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was good (although cooked had cheap bacon, sausages & bland eggs). TV in room was modern & advanced. Hallways & stairs were stunning. Good location. Final note, we needed an ice pack or ice at 3am as my partner had a bad injury the day before. The night porter was extremely unhelpful and said bar is closed so couldn't give us anything. Surely there should be first aid kit
Quirinale Hotel is a historic and charming hotel, with lots of personality and character. The service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious with high ceilings. The bathtub was also a great feature! Quirinale Hote is also walking distance from the Rome central train station, making it convenient for on-the-go travelers.
Our recent visit to Rome saw us staying at the Hotel Quirinale. The hotel, an older establishment was from the start a real gem. It is in a great location, just a short walk from train station Termini. It is also a short walk to several wonderful sights. Taxis are easily had with the front desk summoning them in just a few minutes. Also a Metra stop is close by. From Termini we were able to take the Italiarail fast train to Florence and you can also access Venice or Milan at the same station. The hotel itself offered us a wonderfully large room, even an outdoor sitting area. The beds pushed together were of a king size and the bathroom had a great shower soaking tub combo. We also had plenty of closet space and dresser space. A mini fridge and coffee service were also in the room. Breakfast downstairs was served daily with appropriate Covid precautions, and was an adequate offering to start your day, with hot selections, pastries, cereals, and beverages. The hotel team was absolutely wonderful, the front desk, housekeeping, food service, everyone was very friendly and eager to help. Our first time in Rome was definitely enhanced by our stay at Hotel Quirinale. Mille Grazzi!
The hotel is in a great location. The breakfast, which was included in the reasonable price of our room, was fabulous. We needed some information on Covid testing, as well as with a car service we had ordered. The staff made calls for us and were very knowledgeable and pleasant. I would recommend the hotel.
We booked a trip to Rome and stayed at the Hotel Quirinale with had been recommended by a sister. Right in the heart of Rome and just down from Repubblica Square this hotel delivered on all fronts. Spacious rooms, tall ceilings, excellent beds, gracious front desk hosts and a relaxing charm. This hotel gave us everything we wanted. From the hotel we could walk in every direction and get to any attraction or museum within 30 minutes. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Rome. From the Rome Ciampino Airport you can get a cab directly to the front door in about 30 minutes. Is it an old hotel? Yes! It has been around for about 150 plus years and it continues to deliver excellent service. For those of you who can't live without wifi connection it too is very good. Give it serious consideration when you make your plans. It is not the Ritz but then it wasn't meant to be. It is Italian landmark that delivers old world charm in a modern fast paced world.
Hotel: Very old fashioned and not the most appealing hotel from the outside. Everything is just very old so don't be expecting anything modern when arriving. Staff were ok didn't really say much and weren't over excited to help out. I think we got maybe 1 hello when passing in and out and that was a lot of going in and out of the hotel. Room: Again, Very old fashioned. literally. The floors must be there I don't know 50 or 60 years? could be even longer I don't know. But what I do know is that there was some squeak out of them thats for sure. Would wake the deepest sleep getting up in the middle of the night. Double bed was 2 single beds put together which bugs me why can they just have that down and then you know what you're getting. Alot of scratches on furniture etc. Bathroom was ok and clean. The bedroom itself was just a box really not much space. Food: We only ate breakfeast once here in the 3 days and had paid for 3 breakfasts so if that doesn't say anything I don't know what does. Wasn't great. Not much choice. Location: This is a tough one. It was quite good. Its close to the Trevi Fountain, the walk to it is great. The walk back to the hotel from the trevi fountain is a killer. Its hills all the way back! This location would suit someone who needs to use the Termini station as its quite close. Overall: I would not stay here again simple and cannot recommend this hotel unfortunately. We were recommended this hotel from a friend who obviously had a better expereince than us. From a value perspective I don't think it is worth it. Its a lot of money to be forking out for just an average stay and such an old fashioned hotel. From are travels around the city we definitely found double figure number of hotels that looked nicer and were cheaper. P.S.. There was a wedding on in the hotel for our second night and everything seemed to have been closed off. Found this very peculiar as what if people had planned to eat in the hotel. Basic...
Very big hotel. Stands for 156 years now. We were given a very nice room overlooking the inside garden, with a big balcony. Spacious and very clean rooms and friendly staff. However, the hotel needs some repair in outdoors, painting of windows. Breakfast was just ok. I think they could do much better.
Right in the centre of Rome this fantastic hotel is perfect for any break. Situated so close to the Central Railway Station it is really easy to find. Walking distance to all the main sights and even a private walkway through to the Opera House. Breakfast staff went above and beyond to provide rice milk for my daughter with allergy to both dairy and soya. We felt that nothing was too much for their guests. Large rooms and palatial stairways added to a feel of grandeur. As an older hotel some people might find it dated, to us it added to the experience, after all it is Rome and anything less than 1800 years old is modern.
A hotel to large to be familiar but to small to have a professional staff. Cleaning not good and no renewal of shampoos, no change of glasses etc. Good breakfast. One minor detail is that no one said Hello when entering the hotel
Held a meeting at this hotel. It was wonderful. The location, service and food were outstanding. General Manager Fabrizio Battisti was very gracious and helpful. We are from U.S. and felt welcomed. The staff was professional and accommodating. The rooms were gorgeous and the hotel has old world charm. We enjoyed it very much.
We love this type of hotel. It is old-fashioned, arguably dated, but so nicely preserved in an older style. All parts of the hotel feel this way. So many hotels in historic buildings end up feeling completely modern inside, erasing all the historic texture. This place is not for everybody, but if you want a grand, full-service hotel at a reasonable rate near the main train station, this place fits the bill. There is also a lovely, large green courtyard that separates the hotel from the opera, with a full bar in service.
This hotel is a charming hotel in Rome. It is fairly close to a lot of the typical tourest sites. It is also close to the Roma Termini which if you are traveling to other regions of Italy it is the perfect spot. We walked to the train station in about 10 minutes. The room was clean and comfortable with twin beds and a comfortable desk and chairs. The bathroom was spacious and modern. We loved the shower!! The decor was so Roman and lovely with paintings, sculptures and other relics. Breakfast was good as well with croisants, scrambled eggs, fruit, etc. If you do stay, you might want a room facing the courtyard as if you are facing the street it can get a little noisy. Also, the hotel can be a little noisy at times. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Yes, this is an older hotel but that is what gives it its charm. There are lots of sculptures and beautiful paintings adorning the hallways and common areas. The hotel is immaculately clean and the service from all the staff was excellent. It's in a great location close to the metro and also Rome Termini station. Amongst the positives there are a couple of things that do need attention. Every morning the scrambled eggs were completely different, obviously depending upon the chef. Some days they seem to have been thickened with corn flour or something like that and made them tasteless and almost inedible. The wooden floors in the rooms, all those beautiful, did creak a lot and obviously they would need a major overhaul to fix them. When people moved in above us we could also hear their floor creaking when they walked, not just ours. The thermostat in the rooms for the air conditioning was not really adjustable. It was as low as it could possibly go on the thermostat and kept us relatively cool but it never actually got cold. We would have liked it colder. In the first room we tried the air conditioning was not even cooling at all, and they changed us to another room. I hope the hotel takes note of these comments as we would love to stay with you again. We also appreciate that things have been very difficult from a cash flow point for you over the last 16 months or so. Thank you for an enjoyable stay and thanks to your excellent staff.
To start off we visited in may 2019 but that option wasn't available in the list. We decided to chose a supposedly nice hotel to end our Italy trip in 2019 and we chose this hotel in Rome. (275 a night) When we arrived we checked in and everything seemed fine. This lasted until we arrived to the room. The room was a small, disgusting, pile of garbage. The floors were destroyed and squeaky, the furniture was all scratched, the windows would rattle constantly, and the bed which was supposed to be a double was two single beds stuck together. All this for almost 1000$.... I immediately called Expedia as this hotel was disgusting and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Expedia told me to speak with the hotel to try and get another room. We were presented with another room which wasn't much better than the last, the only difference was cleaner floors and slightly better bed. I tried contacting Expedia to cancel and refund but the hotel refused and Expedia stood by them. The manager Stefano at the hotel kept telling us that it's an old hotel and not all rooms are perfect. Unfortunately the price doesn't fluctuate depending on how old your room is. I'm writing this review for anyone who's even thinking about staying here. It's not worth your money and time. After walking around Rome we found nicer hotels that offered even better pricing than this dump and we would never return or recommend this place to anyone.
I was here just this last weekend, all the staff has welcomed us as no one has ever done before, I felt at home every minute I spend there, especially thanks to General Manager Fabrizio! The room, the view, the restaurant, the breakfast....everything was perfect! I am still feeling tonic and energize, even if I consumed enormous amounts of delicious food, the restaurant service is wonderful! Outside the Hotel, you can easily reach the Repubblica metro line in one minute walking, for the services offered and the value for money, at least is a 5 stars superior! My room was awesome on the 1st floor, with an incredibly large bathroom, the breakfast was simply amazing, with a lot of fresh fruits and a great variety of choice, everything organic, biologic....unfortunately I have been only for 2 nights, I wish I could spend a week Quirinale Hotel! I recommend it for those who wanna spend some days to refresh their soul and body... The last tip I can give is to book directly on their website, the fare is significantly lower than you can find on the net. Thank you again Quirinale hotel
The hotel we have visited twice, January and September this year. The staff are really helpful, the rooms really good size and location is brilliant for everything. Everything except the vatican is no more than a 20 minute walk.

Dear Guest, we thank you for your stay at our Hotel and for your feedback. We are happy to read that you enjoyed our services and location. Hoping to welcoming you back by your next trip to Rome, Kind regards
Large hotel in the style of the glorious past with large liberty halls, period furniture and paintings and a unique atmosphere. Great location, just minutes from Termini station and 30 meters from the metro. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the beds are comfortable and the large bathrooms are excellent. The staff is polite, welcoming and always ready to help. The breakfast is good and very varied. Prices are moderate compared to those of the average of hotels of the same category. We have been there a few times in the past and we will definitely return. Recommended.
Beautiful hotel, nicely decorated and at the same time fully equipped with all necessities. Rooms are quite spacious with big bathroom. Very good breakfast (due to COVID) served to the table. Hotel very close to many attractions and Termini Station.

Unfortunately, I'm giving this hotel a negative review and this is why: I booked a room for end of March for my mom back in late January.. it was her 50th Birthday and I spent a long time planning this trip for her and her sister. I finally found this hotel after a lot of research and was very happy with the choice.. I booked a non refundable room just because I was 100% certain this is going to be the best Birthday surprise ever! A few weeks later the situation in Italy got very bad and with a saddened heart I had to cancel my moms trip (even the flight got completely canceled). I had Expedia reach out to this hotel and they still decided to charge me $200 (first night).. I felt this was very unfair and unprofessional.. I decided to reach out to the hotel myself and one time I got a negative response and the second time I haven't even gotten a response.. I, myself am in hospitality business and my hotel went through A LOT of cancellations and without hesitation all of them got approved. As much as I know it's a hard time and as much as I feel it myself, all of this will pass.. And after it does was the $200 really worth it? I will rebook my mothers trip however I'll seek another hotel to do so. At he end of the day, I do hope this was only a look over with all what is going on!
Kudos to hotel quirinale for doing the right thing for its client despite the pandemic. Booked this hotel last feb 2020 for a 4 day stay for april 2020 but unfortunately have to cancel. Hotel refunded the money right away even with my non refundable room. Would be recommending this hotel to friends and family and we will see you once we are able to travel again! Thank you for the good service during this time.

Recommend to stay in this hotel while in Rome. Walking distance to railway station. Close to food outlets and also attached dining. We arrived on train very tired and unsure of where we were in a strange city that spoke a different language to us. We entered the front door and our worries were over, the friendly and helpful staff took over, spoke our language and settled us into our room. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had been travelling around Europe for just over 5 weeks and this hotel I would class as one of the best in all We had stayed at. Thanks.
