    « HUGE Rooms! »

I'll admit I was pleasantly surprised at this property. They are a tad outdated on decor, but I expected that from photos online. But to make up for it the rooms are giagantic. We had a group and stayed in 4 rooms of different configurations. All were large and mine was very large. Much bigger than standard rooms at other chains. The staff at this location in Rome , GA was super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast had a decent spread, wireless internet was adequate and beds were comfortable. Cleanliness could be improved but wasn't awful. My worry at an older place like this is always the smell and it didn't smell at all in any of our 4 rooms. You can't beat the price here so if I were to come again this would definitely be my first choice!

« Great stay for the price »

Appears to gotten a recent overhaul, paint looked super fresh, carpet appeared new, and bed was great. Plenty of plush towels as well. Staff was super friendly. Only negative was staff members smoking in front of the hotel.

    « Great »

Booked a room here for a overnight stay. Arrived close to midnight, but was great by friendly staff. Room was excellent and well stocked. Only complaint was the security light was outside my window and made the room less dark than what I desired. The complimentary breakfast was good as well. Enjoyed my stay.

« Nobody ever looks up »

We checked in 9/23/16 (around 1am - late arrival) into Smoking Room 209. Upon entering the room we noticed there was no towels, no ashtrays, dust everywhere, and the table legs wobbled. Also, we saw a spider in the bathroom shower, so after disposing of it, we checked the other bathroom ceiling corners and were horrifed to see a USED DRUG SYRINGE placed between the door jam and the ceiling. We reported this to front desk and of course no housekeeping or mgmt staff were on duty (they did bring us towels and ashtrays). At 11am the Front desk manager came to our room to see everything. She advised there are new owners and this was her last day. She did take 20% off 1 night of our stay and housekeeping cleaned the room (removing the syringe). We were gone from room all day on 9/24/16. Upon arriving back around 11pm, we discovered housekeeping had not worked the room (did not remove trash, get dirty towels, or supply clean towels). Again the front desk person had to bring up towels, Upon checkout on 9/25/16, we asked to speak to mgmt, but they do not work on Sundays. I was able to leave my info for a callback. I have never been called, I have left several messages with no response. This is very upsetting because I have to travel to the area quarterly and really liked the location. I expected much better service from a BW hotel.

    « Met all expectations »

As usual, Best Western met all expectations. This is not a luxury, resort nor is it expected to be, It is comfortable, safe, reasonably priced, facility where you can be confident of a good stay. The staff is friendly, polite, and thoroughly competent.

« Not the place to stay »

My room had bugs , people were smoking right out side my room,, not the most enjoyable stay the staff was nice , but the rooms were not the cleanest ,, good location ,, but 2 other hotels close that are nicer ,, I had co-workers staying in the other ones and they were very happy ,,

    « Friendly staff »

This is not a 5star hotel, but it is clean, with friendly, courteous staff. Decent selection for breakfast. Good for the price paid .Fairly comfortable beds, not the best constructed building. Heard the people above us when they were walking. Other than that, was relatively quiet.

« Great place for price but request extra towels »

Love this hotel, pool and staff. Rooms always clean and it's quiet. Easy access to food and gas. Only issue was that the room did not have extra toilet paper, tissues and only provided 2 towels for 3 people. Had to request "extra" for the 3rd person in the group. Other than that, experience was great and price excellent!

    « Loud »

While the room was okay the noise level from the room above us was awful we heard them walking until 3 AM The room phone did Not work and we were unable to call the front desk. Breakfast very limited and consisted of prepackaged food,

« Average stay but good for pets. »

Average in today's market; if you book a room, do it directly through the hotel. Do not use internet booking unless you are SURE it is with the actual location. Staff was helpful when the problem with reservation occurred but apparently this was not the first time...should be remedied.

    « Great stay »

I was very pleased and all employees were very nice. The room was very clean. This was the best hotel stay so for this year. I would totally recommend this Best Western if you are in this area. The price was great too!

    « bathroom disaster »

Looked lovely on internet, in fact much older & worn, toilet wouldn't flush - clerk wanted me to fix it myself, after some delay her fix didn't work. I checked out - not charged -very disappointed - I had driven all day in heat & didn't want to find a new room for 2 nights on July 4 she did help carry my luggage to my car

    « Best Wester Stay »

Our stay was very nice. All Staff was polite and helpful. Everything was in order easy check in and check out. Would stay here again in the future. Light the fact they are dog friendly will take our dog next trip.

« Visiting Rome on Business »

Just to be clear this is a motel. The entrance doors to the rooms open to the parking area, but with that being said the rooms were clean, well maintained and up to date. There is food within walking distance and we felt safe walking there. Parking lot has video surveillance and a pool. The staff was extremely helpful and polite and the complimentary breakfast was decent. Good free wifi and TV had a clean technology remote. Stayed 2 nights to attend a function at Berry College which is about a 10 to 15 minute drive. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

    « Rome, Ga Vacation »

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and well prepared each day. The pool was clean and we had a a great time. There was sights nearby and we enjoyed them also.

    « Clean, older hotel »

Needed an inexpensive hotel for a quick overnight stay. Got in late, left early. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good variety for breakfast: bacon, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal.Clean, updated room. Only complaint is that the room had a strong deoderizer smell in it.

« Excellent value for the money »

Stayed one night during college orientation; staff friendly; motel clean and surprisingly quiet; room spacious; shower hot; internet fine; breakfast had hot food and fresh fruit choices, pool clean. No reason to spend more money!

    « Great Value! »

No need to stay in much pricier accommodations. Husband & I had 3 week stay here & we'll definitely stay here again. All of the staff (front desk, housekeeping, & breakfast service) are professional & make every effort to meet all your needs. Clean room, bathroom, fridge, & microwave. On the down side, washers & dryers aren't available. However, a hot breakfast is available with biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage or bacon, along with fresh fruit & yogurt. The waffle station includes chocolate chips, cinnamon, & whipped cream. There is also a choice of grits & oatmeal, apple & orange juice. An assortment of breads, bagels, & muffins are also available. You would be foolish to pay more when you have it all here. Very pleasant stay.

    « Nice room »

The room was well maintained and comfortable. The bed was very comfy! I had a king room and it was very spacious. Microwave, fridge and love seat were nice extras. I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever in the area.

    « Business Trip »

The Stay was pleasant and the room was nice. The Breakfast wasn't the best that I had but it was alright. The front desk had for no reason up-graded me to the presidential suite which at no additional cost was nice. Maybe because they were filling up. Thank you for the service.

« Very good place to stay in Rome, GA »

One-night stay in Rome, GA for business. Great value. Room was nice & clean. The breakfast included lots of choices - more than I had expected. Nice staff. Convenient location not far from downtown. Quiet. Overall, very good stay. I would recommend.

« Great value in Georgia »

Exceeded expectations at every level at a great price. We came in tired from traveling, and it was comfortable and affordable and quiet. Breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts. and everything was clean. Will recommend definitely!

    « Pleasantly surprised »

I was a little apprehensive when we first arrived as the lobby was very small and I was expecting a hotel rather than motel style. However, the room was very clean and appeared that it had probably been recently remodeled. Staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Great value.

    « Expectations Exceeded! »

Wonderful Hotel with excellent staff, Wifi needs updating but great otherwise! I was expecting somewhat indifferent staff and a low quality breakfast and ok room, but everything was great, I will be staying here again for sure... It was clean and a great value!

« Perfect in every way! »

Very clean, a little dated but was very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. The staff asked and made sure my stay was good. It felt very welcoming. I will stay again and would recommend this to friends and family.

Traveling back home from Atlanta and stopped to see the Berry College eagles. I have stayed here several times on business with no problems. Room was clean and comfortable but on the first floor it is to close to the parking lot. Loud trucks coming and going around 4:00AM. Late to breakfast but overall pretty good, enough to get me going. Overall a good deal and will continue to stay her.

« Good hotel for short stay »

I stayed at the Best Western in Rome to visit my daughter at Shorter University and run in a Half-Marathon at nearby Berry College. The room was adequate and economical for a Friday night stay. The staff were very courteous and polite. The room was clean and simple. Internet worked fine and HVAC was good. The nearby highway has a lot of road noise and can be bothersome to the light sleeper like me. The breakfast was adequate, but had run out of milk and orange juice when my wife stopped by in the morning. Ok for a short stay.

« Clean room, very friendly service »

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I booked it because if it's cost efficient rate. But, we were treated like we were family. All of the employees went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean.

    « Excellent »

The staff and amenities were wonderful at this Best Western. High Speed Internet was a PLUS, Enjoyed the breakfast in the lobby before checking out. I have stayed at many Hotels in Rome, however, by far this one is a WINNER!

    « Best in Rome! »

I've stayed here several times over the past few weeks because my house is currently undergoing extensive renovation, and I can honestly say it is by far the best value option in the entire region. The rooms are really and truly CLEAN! Even the bathrooms have been completely spotless. No foul odors, no spots on the coverlets, nothing out of place. The noise is minimal, the wifi is fast and the beds and pillows are super soft and comfy. I have been quite impressed. The front desk personnel have likewise been friendly and helpful. The only tiny issue we encountered was their policy regarding cash payment. If you pay in cash they insist on a deposit, and in order to get the deposit back you have to wait until someone goes over the room during checkout to make sure you haven't stolen any towels. Seriously. You wait up front and they nip back to inventory the towels. Now I understand in theory why they have this practice and I agree that sadly in today's world one might sometimes encounter circumstances to render such measures not only justifiable but, indeed, necessary...however I have never had this happen to me anywhere else and I couldn't help but feel a bit insulted. I suppose in a way it is rather amusing that anyone could look at a middle class couple in early middle age with a young child and think "Wow, they look like shady characters, better watch the washcloths!" And yet...I don't know. It took the rating from "excellent" to "very good" but I still highly recommend the accommodations.

« Good place to stay »

I have been traveling for 34 years and spend a average of 3 nights a week out. When in the Rome area I have stayed here for years and have never been disappointed. They are always polite and see to your needs. Rooms are always clean and well taken care of. The beds are comfortable and the rest of the room is well furnished.

    « A good clean room »

Our room was very good the staff was good, didn't get to try the whirlpool this time though maybe next time. The price was a little more than I'm used too but well worth what we paid. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

    « Everything we need »

We always stay at this Best Westen when in Rome visiting family. The location is convenient and it is very quiet. Rooms are large and we like being able to pull up to the room for easy unloading and loading.

    « Clean and Professional »

The staff was professional, the room was very neat and nice and the furniture was good quality. We truly took advantage of the office desk and enjoyed having a loveseat to sit in versus sitting on the bed.

    « Avoid If Possible »

Low budget feel, vastly overpriced, doesn't feel very clean. The "Executive" designation is a total lie but the price (which must have been jacked up because of a busy tourist weekend) made me think it was something it's not. I'm extremely annoyed with both the property and online booking service, and will never use either again. The 1960's are calling, they want their hotel back.

« Not the best "Best Western" for sure »

The hotel didn't have enough staff. Only one person on duty at any time, doing front desk, housekeeping, preparing breakfast, etc.. Rooms were fair at best. A/C was very noisy making it hard to sleep. Breakfast was awful and they only had 2 of each item. Guess that was enough because no one was really eating the stuff. Would not recommend this location.

    « Stolen Trailer hitch. »

Staff - friendly and helpful. Accommodations - The bed was comfortable. The channel selection was good. The hotel was clean. Problems - the internet service was poor. The keys were constantly not working and no I did not have them close to my cell phone, or computer. My trailer hitch was stolen overnight. When I asked about video, the manager said they have cameras, but they are not recording.

    « Super Customer Service! »

I made a mess of my reservations by changing nights, etc. and by the time my husband and I arrived, even I was confused. The manager, Dineesh Patel, straightened everything out like a pro and with an awesome demeanor to boot. Would def recommend this BW. Neat and clean, awesome front desk staff, comfy and quiet.

    « Not that hospitable »

The boss at my company booked a stay here for me. When I arrived the lady at the desk said she could not check me in because my name was not on the reservation. The lady said she would have to call my boss and make sure the room was meant for me. She asked ME for his number. I asked her if she really expected me to stand there for as long as it took for him to call back. She had my drivers license and credit card in her hand but my honesty was still in question on this prepaid room. Luckily he called back right away because I was ready to walk. I also asked for a ground floor room and was told there were none available. When I left at 6am there were only half a dozen cars in the parking lot. Not a single bus. I was there 10 days earlier and my stay was great. I had the ground floor room I asked for too. A different lady checked me in,
