It is the first time that fashion and the hotel business have joined in Brazil to create an environment of interior design and styling concept. The Best Western Premier Arpoador Fashion Hotel by Gloria Coelho presents inspirations from the stylist, with whites, light streams, wood, glass and vertical gardens, bringing a technological and minimalist tone to the hotel. The apartments are full of facilities, with exclusive amenities and the mini bar that is included in the daily rate, following the new local philosophy that incorporates well-being with regional products. Experience a unique service in Rio de Janeiro, such as the pillow menu, with four options of different heights and materials, inside the apartment and, to encourage sports practice, you can borrow a bike to ride the Ipanema bike path. In addition, the cuisine of the Restaurante O Beiju, de Culinária Brasileira serves menus with a mix of typical and lesser known ingredients. the perfect opportunity to explore the flavors of Brazil.

    « Excellent Stay & Service »

I stayed at this location during the dates of 5-12 May. This was my first trip to Rio and I was in town for vacation to celebrate my birthday. This hotel offered excellent service. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming from the moment my mother and I arrived. We were greeted out front when we arrived via taxi. Our check in process was smooth. One the day of my birthday there was a very sweet note and small cake awaiting in my room! This location is idea for anyone looking to have convenience during their stay. It is every close to the metro. Take 2 lefts out of the hotel and you will be at Ipanema beach. The beach service offered via the hotel was superb, free umbrellas and chairs! The complimentary hotel breakfast was great as well. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Rio!

    « Great stay »

Really nice hotel in a great location right between both beaches. Very clean and well kept with staff more than happy to assist with any requests. We got a free upgrade too which was a nice bonus. Great value too so would highly recommend.

« Maybe it would have been better with a more premium room »

Maybe it would have been better with a more premium room. The room that they gave us was just a stark white room with no decorations and looked very different from the pictures the previous travelers posted. There were stains on the floor and chair and the bathroom was less than ideal. It was to the point where we forfeited our payment that we made for the first night, and went to go stay at another hotel which was a complete 180 and well worth it. Also, this hotel is on a quieter street (which may be what you are looking for) rather than being right off the beach. Honestly, this hotel will work if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep and that's it but the hotel we switched to (Miramar) made it seem like we were on vacation (views, concierge, amenities) and that is what we were looking for.

« Amazing Room, Location, Value - let down by poor check-in »

This is a great hotel. Don't dismiss because of the 'Best Western' label - this is an upscale design hotel in a fantastic location in Rio, steps away from the beach, shops, restaurants, and supermarket. The rooms are modern, clean, and our A/C worked great. This hotel was quiet inexpensive compared to other Rio hotels, and this represents great value. Secure hotel with beautiful common areas. 5 stars - except for a poor check-in booking situation. This wasn't handled well. We arrived for 2 nights and the check in staff said it was only for 1 night. I showed him our reservation and it said 2 nights but he insisted it was only 1 in the hotel's system. I called the booking company (Expedia) who confirmed it was for 2 nights, and I had to ask them to contact the hotel to explain this. This occurred, but when I went to extend my room key and make sure it was ok, there was no apology or anything. It wasn't so friendly, so this is only 4 stars based on that. Otherwise, this would have been a solid 5 stars and I would definitely return!

« Nice hotel at good location »

My husband I spent 3 nights at this wonderful hotel last year in November. We had arranged for airport pick up and it was on time, good and reasonably priced.Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The staff at the reception was extremely helpful for all local tours and arrangements. We had already booked some tours in advance and they helped us find the place to get the bus. The location is very good and we walked to Ipenama beach and also Copacabana beach! There are a couple of wonderful small restaurants just outside the hotel and they serve lovely juices too apart from the famous caipirinha. The staff at the reception speaks good english and that was very very helpful. The rooms are big and have a view of one of the favelas on the hill which actually looks nice! The hotel has a superb restaurant which serves healthy food and I highly recommend it as it is reasonably priced, has a lot of vegetarian choices too and the service is very good. In fact, we had two out of three dinners at this restaurant! The bathroom was awkwardly designed with glass door and two separate cubicles for toilet and a shower but it was good sized and comfortable. The wifi was good and I would highly recommend this place for any one while in Rio!

    « Bad Customer Service »

I have stayed in many hotels all around the world and other Best Westerns as well. The customer service here is the worst I experienced. The nonchalant attitudes of staff and lack of concern for the guest is concerning. We were switched out of our rooms 3 times because of issues with the air-condition. In the first room there was a bad leak that leaked all over our bags. After waiting 1 hour for a repair man we were told the issue is not repairable and we moved to a second room after everything was already unpacked. In the second room the A.C. was blowing out hot air (Extremely warm temperatures outside). When we alerted management of the issue they said we weren't using the correct controls and they'd send someone up. When that person finally got to our room they weren't sure what the issue was but said they would come back up within the next hour to see if it started working. After no one came up we reached out again and finally we were moved to a third room with was finally ok. No compensations or even apologies were offered for the inconvenience. About 3 hours of our time and most of our first day was spent dealing with room changes opposed to enjoying the city. Also, when we fist checked in we were told there was an issue with our reservation and that we needed to pay an additional 80 USD for an extra person which was annoying but ok. Then at check out we were told it was nearly 500 USD additional (80/night). The staff was unconcerned about the discrepancy and since with had to catch our flight we just paid and left. All and all I'd say the rooms were okay. They had a bit of a hospital feel, but were pretty comfortable, for the typical price. However, we stayed during carnival which meant I paid nearly 400 USD. This will likely be my last stay at any Best Western.

    « Great Rio Hotel »

I was staying at this hotel for one night before joining my husband who was working on a cruise ship. I have never been to Rio before and was a little nervous as a solo traveler. The staff was AMAZING at this hotel. They all made me feel very comfortable and relaxed after a long flight. I even received a room upgrade which was a really nice gesture . The room was very modern and clean. The lightning was very cool and I couldn't stop playing with the different options. The bed and linens were VERY comfortable. I slept like a rock. The complementary breakfast was really nice in their dining room and there were a lot of choices. Although I was not at this hotel to site see, the location was great. My luggage was lost and I had no clothes for 2 more days and the front desks led me to some great stores around the corner where I bought some really cute outfits inexpensively. The hotel is located in between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. They are easy walking distance. If I ever go back to Rio I would definitely stay here again and not hesitate to HIGHLY recommend it.

« New and comfortable hotel between Ipanema and Copacabana »

My wife and I spent one night at the Best Western hotel in Ipanema. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was small but very functional, the hotel and room were very clean, and we even got a parking space free of charge. Great value for our money. We'll definitely return next time we're in Rio

« Great hotel and great location »

The hotel is excellent, the stuff is really friendly and helpful, the room was also great. Breakfast is good and they have expresso (short). Also it is very well positioned, about the same distance from both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. There are lots of things to do In walkable distance. We had a great experience and would definitely come back.

    « Ms Maureen »

I had a wonderful week's stay at this beautiful hotel where I spent my birthday on 24/01/2018. The hotel design is modern and minimalist. My room was clean with a fresh, pleasant smell with the most comfortable pillows. I found all of the staff to be warm and accommodating. A special thanks to Leandro Freitas at the front desk. He wrote a beautiful note to wish me happy birthday and sent the most delicious cup cake up to my room. The hotel is close to the beach, they offer towels, loungers and umbrellas. Keep up the good work everyone. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

« Very modern and nicely design »

This hotel has been beautifully designed. The breakfast is of excellent quality, the staff are very professional and welcoming. There is a nesspresso machine in the foyer for the use of all guests as well as one in the superior room. It was very clean. The superior room had Trussardi vegetable soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

« Good new hotel, don't book cheapest category »

Everything in this hotel is brand new, the staff are nice, the design of the rooms is very modern and the view from the top floor deluxe rooms is breathtaking. Just don't book one of the cheapest rooms since they are located in a separate tower in the back and at least mine didn't have any view at all - the only daylight came through a window you couldn't see through and it felt kind of claustrophobic. I went to a deluxe room later and they are much better.

    « Need better cleaning... »

Good hotel, friendly staff, which is rare in Rio, nice location, nice decor, however, cleaning is a big problem. There was hair everywhere, on telephone, on the bed, on the floor, bathroom. Maintenance is also a problem. Had two lights in the room that never turned off, as well as weak air conditioning. Was my second time in this hotel and both times had to change rooms for different maintenance reasons. If the hotel solves those problems, it would be a great choice, otherwise, it will be time to avoid. Arena Ipanema is a good and alternative choice.

« Great Rooms, Well Located, Excellent Service »

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It's well located in Ipanema, walking-distance from the beach and nearby eateries. The rooms are not particularly large and in our case didn't have much of a view either but the beds are comfortable, breakfast is great, and service is impeccable. The staff was really helpful with arranging my mobile phone connection for instance. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for something at the higher end of mid-range without wanting to splurge on one of Rio's more expensive luxury hotels but still with all the comfort of a well thought-through hotel.

« Holiday visit to Rio by father and 11 year old daughter. »

Great hotel conveniently situated near Ipanima and Copacabana beaches. Nice clean rooms with very comfortable beds, TV and internet. Friendly and attentive staff. Good breakfast. Quiet and safe environment.

« Wonderful Stay in Rio de Janeiro »

The staff was very helpful... starting at front desk, restaurant, up to the housekeeper and doorman. They honored all my requirements with a smile on the face. Room design are very modern, which enhanced my experience. Even our small pet was very welcomed. Definitely next time in Rio, I will stay again at BW.

« Amazing hotel and great value in Rio de Janeiro »

I stayed for 9-nights at the Best Western Arpoador and can't say enough positive things about the entire experience. The location is perfect, walking distance to Copacabana, Arpoador and Ipanema beaches. Several restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, juice bars-- anything you would need-- within 5 minutes walk. You can't beat the location. The staff here is absolutely wonderful. The manager, Pamela Stein, is the most gracious and generous host, completely attentive to any questions or inquiries you might have. The front desk team is so kind and helpful, my fav was Nana, she's amazing. Even the cleaning staff were always nice and left notes wishing me a Merry Christmas. The room was large, modern and spotlessly clean. After a long day at the beach or out in Rio, it's so nice to come back to such a clean and fresh feeling place. If you've been to Rio before you'll agree that so many hotels are old and outdated, so this place is definitely a breath of fresh air. The other great thing about this hotel is the little perks it offers: free chair and umbrella rentals on the beach, free bicycle rentals, a great little breakfast spread for guests, etc. Everything was fantastic, I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be staying here again on future trips to Rio. Thanks, Michael Young

« Good hotel for a Rio first timer »

Great location in Arpoador, 5-10 mins walk from Ipanema beach and feels very safe around there. Lovely, friendly, and helpful staff who provided good recommendations for our first visit to Rio and spoke great English. Our room was in the back tower, 2nd floor, two twin beds, and was really quiet and clean. The main issue we had was that there was a very damp stench in the room. You sort of got used to it and it wasn't super offensive, but it was very strong. We think it came from the air con but weren't sure. We're not too fussy so didn't make a big deal about it and opening the window helped - but looking back I think I would have asked for a different room. Another thing is that they are quite stingy with the minibar - we got like 1 or 2 bottles of water free but even the coffee pods for the nespresso were charged? Not a big deal but I thought it was sort of greedy to charge for coffee. The complimentary breakfast was quite good though - best we had out of all 3 hotels we stayed at during our trip to Brazil. I would recommend the hotel - but make sure you don't get a stinky room.

    « Great place! »

Just left this hotel after staying for New Years and the few days before. Staff were amazing! So helpful and always smiling and lovely. Hotel in general was great. Loved the restaurant too with lots of healthy and vegan options!! Thank you!:)

« Perfect location, good urban hotel. »

We have stayed once again this year (first time was also for a night during the Olympic Games) and the hotel is a nice place. Particularly the surrounding neighborhood is calm, and location is very good, as you are right at walking distance from both Copacabana and Ipanema.

    « 1st time in Brazil »

Very friendly staff at check-in. They go out of their way to accommodate your needs as much as possible. Half of staff pretty good in English communication as well. Hotel is in ideal location to beach, the city itself, and plenty of restaurants. The room was very presentable and clean, and staff was always inviting and hotel food was really GOOD. No complaints to make, only compliments. There is no gym on site, but they have access to Fitness Rio, (thats a 5 minute walk tops). Will definately be at the top of my short list for years to come....

    « Good Location »

Fairly new hotel, spacious room, lots of free water, spotty wifi, okay breakfast but better coffee. We stayed here for 5 nights in November. We read lots of reviews saying how comfortable the beds were but we found them very firm. The location is good and in walking distance to some good restaurants and the beach. The hotel has a section on the Ipemana Beach. Look for the Best Western Flag. Make sure before you go to the beach that you pickup a couple towels from the front desk. Umbrellas and chairs are provided at the beach and a selection of affordable drinks. We also were able to use UBER easily from the hotel and we felt safe walking in the immediate area.

« Money stolen from room; Manager says, "You didn't put it in the safe." -_- »

I'm currently staying here at this hotel, and I'm pretty frustrated that $120 US Dollars has gone missing from my wallet (which was in my room), and $R20 Brazilian Reais have gone missing from the desk. While I locked most things in the safe, such as my laptop and passports, I forgot to lock my wallet in there when I went out yesterday. I had six $20 bills neatly folded and tucked inside of it. I had not been using the wallet for the past few days, and had grown accustomed to leaving it behind rather than bringing it into the street, since it only had US dollars, and random cards inside. When I left, I did not realize that I had left the wallet outside of the safe. Still, I paid for a pretty decent (and safe) hotel, so it's unfortunate that leaving something out in a room that I've paid for would result in having that thing stolen. But that's not even the worst part. When I spoke to reception last night, I was assured that the manager would look into it in the morning, and contact me. Of course, that did not happen. I had to go downstairs this morning to find the manager on my own, since she had not contacted me. When I got there, she told me that a) she reviewed the footage, and did not see anyone other than housekeeping going into my room. I was gone for most of the day, so I imagine that she must've sat and watched several hours of footage in a very short time in order to come to this understanding. Then, she told me that b) if housekeeping sees money outside of the safe, they exit the room, and they don't clean it. But that's completely false, since I had $R20 right on the table, and my room was clean when I came back - not to mention, two crumpled American single dollars were still on the table when I returned (and they are still here now). She also told me that c) I left my money outside of the safe... So there was nothing that she could do about it. So, in my room, if there is anything outside of the safe that gets taken, the hotel is not responsible. That defies logic. It also makes me feel like I need to somehow fit every single item that I have in my room into the safe... which would be impossible. It also does not make me feel... safe. No pun intended. Lastly she told me that "this hasn't happened in the hotel before." That was it. Not "This hasn't happened, so it's a surprise to hear it" or "This hasn't happened, so I'm sad that it happened to you" or any other variation that might make sense. Just "this hasn't happened in the hotel before." When she finally explained further, she said that since it hasn't happened in the hotel before, it didn't happen in this instance. So...I'm now here in a hotel where I've had money stolen, and a manager (Danny) pretty much explain to me that, because the money was not in the safe, there is nothing she can do about it. And that since it hadn't happened before, it didn't really happen now. So... I've filed a police report, although I don't expect to see any of that money again, nor do I expect this hotel to do anything fair or kind or comforting in regards to the theft of my cash. In the end, feel free to stay here at your own risk. The area is fine, and (most of) the folks are nice. The rooms are clean, and if you don't forget anything outside of your safe, you should be all right. If you're looking for a vacation where you can feel comfortable possibly leaving something outside of the safe for a couple of hours, this isn't the place. I've stayed at various other places in the area, and this one was already at the bottom of the list in comparison before my money was stolen. Now, this one goes beneath a few hundred other Rio hotels that I've yet to visit.

« very happy with our stay »

The hotel is modern and very clean. We stayed 6 nights in total (we left to go to Iguacu and came back). Our room was a little tight on our first stay, bigger on the second stay, and was well equipped (3 small water bottle, snack bar complementary and coffee machine) The internet was a bit spotty in the room but great in the public area. Without exception the staff was lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed the good location and used uber to get to places we couldn't walk. Breakfast was good but didn't change at all over the week that we stayed. If you go at 9.30 on a week end, it will be crowded and a bit less pleasant so try to go a bit before. It would have been amazing to have crepes or pancakes or small waffles from time to time, but it is after all a fashion hotel, not a place to be a glutton..! ;) The staff kept our luggage for one night when we went to Iguacu, which was lovely from them. They put a little cake in our room as it was my fiance's birthday when we where in Rio. We would definitely recommend this place!

« Perfect week in Rio. »

Great hotel with a clean modern design.... Short walk to Ipanema and Copacabana. The included breakfast is great with lots of fresh fruit and won't get bored. Last but not least is the kind and accommodating staff.... They ALWAYS have a warm smile and a genuine willingness to provide local info or help when needed... Danny in particular at reception was a gem and really helped to create a memorable stay. Thank you!

    « Fantastic in RJ »

A very very good hotel with European standard in RJ without being stupidly expensive. Hotel is very very clean and staf extremely helpful. Very well located with so many benefits! 2 good Supermarkets one in each corner. Residential area, calm but close to everything. Shopping or beach, calçadão or surf....

    « Great location - average breakfast »

Good: Location of the hotel was excellent for beaches. Copacabana and Ipanema beaches are very close by. Staff were nice and allowed us to check in early. Bad: Wifi is very sketchy... only really worked in lobby. Needed to use my mobile data a couple of days to check attractions/weather etc Also the breakfast is not great. We stayed 7 nights and were hanging for cooked breakfast... after about 5 days we realised we could order and egg. We were never told about this. Never ate in restaurant as it appeared very expensive so can't comment. Some really nice restaurants around.

Arrived early but were able to go to our room straight away. Check in was fast and efficient and we were given maps and information about Rio and also a free drinks voucher for the bar. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and the black out curtains helped towards a good night's sleep. The hotel is very well located, not only for the famous beaches but for restaurants, metro and bus stops (Rio has thousands of buses and we made use of several). The staff, with one exception, were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of healthy options and some Brazilian specialities which were interesting to try. We were able to check out a couple of hours late for no extra charge which was great as our flight was not until the evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would use it again if ever in Rio.

« Great staff, great neighborhood »

I love hotels and I choose this one after a very unfortunate stay at the Sheraton in Leblon. BWT Arpoador got great reviews on trip advisor and that played into my decision. Located in a neighborhood that's close to everything. Nearest metro, General Osorio, is three blocks away. Hoppin and poppin Ipanema Beach is 3 blocks away. Zonal Sul grocery is 1.5 blocks away. Grab a ?free? bike from the hotel and ride around the beach. They provide for beach access on Ipanema Beach. The hotel was clean, safe, fairly quiet. The stark white decor actually misses the point for me. Too much white and too much fluorescent lighting. I like soft light at night and the lighting did not allow for any adjustment. Lighting preferences are so individual AND lighting can really influence the mood. There were some other small annoyances such as the glass bathroom door that banged every time you closed it, the wood toilet seat that also banged upon closure, the mediocre quality of the bath towels. I vote fluffy. Despite these SMALL issues the staff made up all the difference. ALWAYS helpful, kind, responsive, attentive and friendly. I would stay again for sure.

    « A very pleasant stay »

The hotel was very nice, with staff in the small lobby ranging from good to excellent. Checkin was fast and easy, and we had to leave our luggage in storage since we arrived very early. The staff put our luggage in our room when it was available, saving us some effort. The hotel is very modern, all in white and somewhat austere. Nevertheless the bed was very comfortable, show good and hot and strong, and room to change up clothes etc. The free breakfast was good, with good coffee, a variety of juices, breads and jellies, fruit, pastry, and some hot Brazilian food as well. the lunch and dinner menus were limited and expensive. The hotel is well located with easy walks to beth copacabana and Ipanema beaches and a nearby square with restaurants and a morning market.

« Many Repair problems and Check your bill »

The room needed many repairs and the front desk kept changing the amount that needed to be paid. She was very obviously trying to extract more money than what I was quoted at time of reservation. other guests I spoke to also complained of repair problems in their rooms.

« Outstanding value in Rio »

Stayed for a week and would definitely return. The hotel is modern and stylish. Our room was a little tight but was immaculate and well equipped. The internet was a bit spotty in the room but great in the public area. Without exception the staff was lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed the great location and used uber to get to places we couldn't walk. Breakfast was good but didn't change at all over the week that we stayed. The food in the restaurant was consistently good and fairly priced. The extras like the beach club and free bikes were terrific. There was a laundry a half block away that did a good job and reasonably priced. For the price paid (check the website for special deals) the value was outstanding.

« ultra modern hotel in Rio »

Very convenient and friendly hotel. Staff were excellent and all helpful. the hotel has a simple colour scheme. White everywhere. It had a reasonable breakfast. The rooms were well appointed and supplied free water. nothing else in the mini bar, but you just asked for what you required. wold use it again

« Lovely hotel in a great spot of Rio »

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while vacationing solo in Rio. No complaints about the room - very clean and cozy. The location was great - right in between Copacabana & Ipanema beaches (walking distance for either). The amenities were just fine - great included breakfast, gym pass to a local fitness center (how cool is that!), and is a pool really needed if you're 5 minutes away from a world renowned beach?... Most importantly, the staff was great - nice, accommodating and spoke great English (perfect for me since my Portuguese stinks!). A particular shout out to Cleo (working in the dining area / bar) - she was amazingly welcoming, charming, and helpful. Please pass along to her how grateful I am for the Caipirinha-making lesson! Cheers

« Good location and value for money »

We stayed a couple of nights here. The hotel and rooms are new and fresh. It is a mid-class hotell around 3 stars. Breakfast ok. Location is excellent between Ipanema and Copacabana. There is also free rental of bikes, which is very nice to ride bike along the beaches. The hotel also has free access to a beach club and bar on Ipanema which very nice. A very good choice if you want value for your money in Rio.

    « Perfect location,clean and comfortable »

My husband and I stayed here when we visited rio on our honeymoon - the location is perfect, the rooms are comfortable and clean ( deluxe room is recommended) and the breakfasts/food in general was brilliant. Would highly recommend!

« Great place to stay at Rio! »

Me and my friend stayed over Best Western Premier last week for a total of 4 days / 3 nights. We had a great time at the hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans on staying at Rio (if you don't need to be right next to the beach)! Location wise, the hotel is very convenient with just 5 min walk to the beach (2 blocks away). Room was small but we weren't planning on staying in the room all day anyway, so it was a perfect size for us. It was very well-maintained and clean. We had some problem with the AC initially but the hotel staff has fixed that after receiving our inquiries. In addition to the good condition of the room, the hotel staffs are friendly and helpful with directions and any help we asked of. This is extremely useful especially we speak very limited Portuguese. Would definitely stay over again if I visit Rio!

« Classy hotel with excellent staff »

A classy boutique style hotel with lovely rooms. A relatively short walk to the beaches. Nice breakfast. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel for visiting the Copacaban/Ipanema area, although it isn't on the beach it offers a very high quality of service and comfort at a slightly more affordable price than beachfront accommodation.

« Great location, good service and reasonable reduced mobility room. »

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel, which is in a great location between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. I am in a wheelchair and had booked the reduced mobility room, on arrival reception wanted to upgrade us to a different room with no special facilities, which we declined as I require these. The accessible room does get quite a lot of noise from staff on break in the garage, so perhaps thats why? The accessible room is still very small and as I sleep on the left side of the bed, which was too narrow for the wheelchair we slept upside down. I had no issues with the bathroom, it floods but most accessible rooms do, we take a water scraper that helps.. We enjoyed breakfast as it was a little different to the normal, and they catered well for my husband who is vegetarian. We had no issues witb the wi-fi, but we did find the mini bar confusing, not sure if it included water at all times?

    « A Great Place To Stay »

We stayed here for 4 nights this month. Our room was large and comfortable and also quiet. We had no view to speak of. The shower was large and had good hot water. The staff was very friendly. The white color might get old for you as it did for me. Everything seems white. The breakfast was horrible, with runny eggs, and just about everything else cold. The buffet left me scratching my head wondering what this stuff is. I went out and bought my own cereal since they seem to specialize in inedible granolas.

« Good location and helful staff »

The hotel is in a good location and the staff were very helpful. They arranged a taxi to Leblon Shopping Mall and recommended a very nice restaurant also. We felt the room was a bit tight for two people and it was difficult to get in and out of the shower bath. We did sleep well as the room was quiet and the bed comfortable.

    « Wonderful hotel - don't miss out! »

Fabulous hotel with attentive staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Great location, a series of great facilities on site and close by. The fresh breakfast with plenty of healthy options was much appreciated. Look forward to returning soon!

« Great hotel and very friendly and helpful staff »

The hotel was great - we stayed there for 9 nights in 2 rooms while we enjoyed Rio. The hotel rooms are a good size, it is all very clean and well presented. The free area at Ipanema beach was very welcome. Breakfasts were good, though the food was a bit different to usual, but we all enjoyed it.

    « What a great hotel »

From the second we arrived this hotel impressed. We were greeted, offered water and a coffee and taken straight to reception. The staff were just delightful. The hotel undersells itself. I would classify it as a boutique hotel. The rooms was spacious and inviting. Coffee machine and plenty of free bottled water (take note Sheridan Club!). The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel. It's a relatively small hotel so they know all the guests so no hassle of waiting to identify yourself. I'm not sure how they do it but you were subtly encouraged to eat a healthy breakfast and enjoy it. In reality probably had less of a range than many hotel but the quality was superb. Definitely a case of less is more. We got a late check out at no cost and on leaving the staff were as attentive as when we arrived. I'm quite hard to please but hopefully fair in my reviews. This hotel qualifies as one of my favourites. I don't think I've ever said this before. Thanks to all the staff - you are superb.

    « Recommend highly! »

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It is centrally located between Copacabana and Ipanem. Spotlessly clean and with some of the most helpful and friendly staff I've ever encountered-they couldn't do enough for us. We were within walking distance for a lot of the tourist spots and in a very safe area. Make sure to ask the reception staff for tips -they have many:-)

    « Best cost-benefit »

We are Brazilian and know Rio very well, but we have been living overseas for many years. On this trip we wanted to stay in Zona Sul, and this hotel had a wonderful location! Walking distance to both Copacabana and Ipanema, supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel is extremely new, and the rooms are fresh and clean. The breakfast was delicious, and all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is all-natural and vegan friendly, all the ingredients are extremely fresh! We stayed at this hotel twice, and loved it each time.

    « Excellent location »

Hotel does look exactly the same as the photos. Classy & immaculate and friendly staff who could also speak English. Danny on reception was excellent in helping us around the local area, borrowing the bikes and organising a personal tour when original tour was cancelled at the last minute.

« Pristine and glamourous hotel, with friendly service and delicious breakfast on a budget »

Stayed here with my sister and had a great experience. Upon entering, was impressed by the style of the hotel and its glamour. Check in was a very easy process and the front desk was very welcoming and friendly, a consistent experience throughout our stay. We were given a room on the 9th floor which had a view of the street, with glimpse of the water at the beach just beyond. The room itself was quite spacious for having a double bed, and the bathrooms were clean and had double sinks. The bed was comfy, there was lots of closet space and the minibar was free except for any refills! There was coffee available downstairs and in the rooms along with tea and bottles of water, which was nice. I cant say enough about the breakfast. First of all, the restaurant/breakfast room was gorgeous - just white tables and chairs and greenery everywhere. The food was so good.. fruit, hot dishes, cakes and pancakes, breads, jams, different kinds of granola and juices. The coffee was great too. I would book this hotel on their breakfast alone! The location of this hotel is between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. We chose to go to the Ipanema beach which was very fun and a relaxing experience. It`s about a 7 minute walk to the Ipanema side. For our first time in South America we were so glad to have chosen this hotel for the service and the breakfast and would recommend it to others as well. The one thing I would comment is that the wifi was not super strong on the 9th floor.

« Excellent, great location, great service, very nice rooms. Very highly recommended. »

I stayed there for one night. I was very pleased with all aspects of my stay. Check-in was fast and friendly. The room was large, bright and clearly very new. Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of variety and interesting/ creative dishes based on Brazilian cuisine. Location is also excellent. Despite not being at the beachfront, it is a short walk to both Ipanema, Arporador or Copacabana beaches. Although I did not have time to use it, the hotel also supplies bikes and gives guest a pass to a use good fitness center just around the corner. I definitely plan to return to this hotel next time I am in Rio.

« Great location and comfortable hotel »

This hotel is in a great location, close to both Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. The staff are very courteous and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. I had a room on the first floor - it did not have any windows so it felt like being in a box - so when you check in make sure you ask for a room on an upper floor. Other than that, the service and amenities were very good.

« Very good hotel with great people »

The hotel itself is new, clean, close to top beaches and serves good breakfast. But what makes the experience even better is the great team ( I think dream team you may want in a hotel). We cannot thank enough to Vanessa and Leonard and those all other employees made us feel like home. Don't search too much just book it and enjoy Rio!

    « Perfect stay »

We spent 4 nights in the hotel. Location is very good, close to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, quiet, short walk to subway station. The room was very modern, nice, big enough and clean. We appreciated Nespresso machine in the room. The stuff was very kind and helpful, excellent breakfast. There were also some bikes available. We use them to make a great tour around. Exceptional service, everything was just perfect. We fully recommend this hotel.

« Very good and well located »

This small hotel has everything you need to visit Rio de Janeiro. The rooms are great with space and a great bathroom. Clean. Breakfast was very complete and delicious. They have bikes (which are not in very good conditions) that can take you every where in Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon. You can also go to Lake Freitas biking. We are looking forward to coming back to Rio and this hotel will be the first choice.

« Modennial and central boutique hotel »

I stayed at this hotel for a full week. All in all I can say that this is an excellent hotel located right in the center of the tourist area of Copa Cabana and Ipanema. Located on the border between these two regions and very close to the beach. On the day of arrival I received a very small room in a separate building and back. I quickly realized that this was a mistake and that this was not the room I had ordered and I saw in the pictures. There was no closet in the room and it was very crowded and unpleasant. After a conversation with a receptionist he offered me a larger room with an additional fee and I agreed. In the end he was very nice and decided that he did not charge her with a charge. The second room was perfect spacious and beautiful as I had ordered in advance. I did not like breakfast that was repeated and not varied. Very nice staff

« Great choice near Copacabana & Ipanema beaches »

We are very happy to have chosen this boutique hotel for our three nights in Rio. The design is crisp, modern, and elegant. All members of the staff are professional, welcoming, and helpful. The price is right. The breakfast, which starts at 6am (great if you're heading out on a tour) is copious, varied, well prepared, and included in the price of the room. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but you are a short walk from bars and restaurants. Wifi is decent. We would definitely book here again.

    « FANTASTIC - highly recommended »

I am very fussy when it comes to booking hotels and it took me ages to work out where to book for my trip to Rio. This hotel was absolutely fantastic and was definitely the right choice. The staff were polite, very personable and made us feel like valued visitors to the hotel. The location is perfect - in between both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. The room was clean and fresh with comfortable beds, a good sized bathtub and bathroom. The iPhone dock speakers were a good touch. It may not be the most luxurious hotel you could ever stay in but the real assets were the staff, the service, the price (in comparison to nearby hotels) the location and the bedrooms.

    « Beatiful Hotel »

Beautiful Hotel, and great location. From the check-in time service was great. Nice buffet breakfast every morning with great service. All hotel personnel ready to help and give you directions. Area very safe and location is between Copacabana and Ipanema. Close to restaurants and beach.

    « Good hotel »

Very good location between copacabana and ipanema in a nice area cose to the beach and many restaurants Good breakfast. The stuff is nice ad well. Too bad no swiming pool. Recomend to book the city tours from.them

« First time in rio »

Great hotel, great location, super partnership with a great gym just 3 blocks away compared to the extra under equiped gym that other hotels in rio offer. Breakfast was good, staff was extremely qualified and fluent in english. Highly recommend it. Special mention to the lady at recepcion.

« Great location in widespread Rio »

Very close to Ipanema and Copacabana beaches but no views- maybe a 5 minute walk. Near Orsorio subway stop. Subway is easy to learn and clean. Many many buses rand Taxis available. Most buses cost R3.80 or about $1.20: pay with cash on the bus either to the driver or often cashier on the bus- enter at the front. Subway costs R4.30 per person to go anywhere or $1.50 approx. it is very easy to use and quick. Announcements in Portuguese and English. Buy ticket at a ticket booth. Hotel is clean and modern. Diego in the Dining room provides excellent service always wanting to please you. Breakfast was included for us and it was excellent with many choices. This hotel was built to be ready for the recent Olympics and smaller than you might expect. The Copacabana and Ipanema beaches were cleaned nightly; not always true elsewhere in Brazil. Hot sun, cooler breezy evenings which could require jackets in the winter months. Good coffee and wine are clearly not emphasized. We still can't find a wine store. There are a few Starbucks if you can find them. Safety is not a problem in most areas with exceptions. Wearing expensive or even cheap jewelry not recommended. Use ATM's in bank branches in good neighborhoods. Bus #581 goes to Urca where you get the Sugarloaf tram to the top of Sugarloaf from the beach areas. Bus 583 returns. At beaches, use sun tan lotion. Do visit the ultramodern museum of the future.

« Very Pleasant Stay & Professional Staff! »

I was very impressed with this hotel from beginning to the end. Very welcoming staff, bi-lingual in both Portuguese and English. Very helpful and took their time to answer your questions and explain things. We were greeted upon arrival. The gentleman handled our bags, took them up to the room, and check-in was pretty smooth. There was one hiccup with my check-in, but the manager resolved the issue quickly. I requested a quiet room. We had a King size bed (even though on the website it said Queen). No complaints!! The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. The room was a good size. Plenty of closet space to hang your clothes and store your suitcase out of the way. There was a mini fridge stocked with ice cold bottled water, free of charge. The bathroom was nice, large, 2 sinks, and plenty of counter space. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. They had tons of fresh fruit that was ripe and delicious, an assortment of breads, and sweet breads and chocolate cake! Ham, cheese, lunch meats, spreads, jams, fried eggs that were very runny and wet, and hard boiled eggs, and scrambled tofu. There was this cool sandwich press to heat up and toast your sandwich. The only complaint was that they did not have the traditional Brazilian pao, bread rolls traditionally served with breakfast. Fresh squeezed orange juice, watermelon juice, and a pretty good green juice too. Coffee was hot and they offered re-fills and cleared used dishes right away. There were free bike rentals as well. You sign a waiver and they give you a lock. Cool to ride the bike along Copacabana Beach and explore. They offer free towel service and beach chairs at the beach. However the directions we were provided to get there were completely wrong. We were told to go a very long, roundabout way to reach the post. However, upon return, the guy at the post gave us quicker directions and we were back at the hotel much quicker. My only feedback would be to hand out a page with easy directions to follow, with a drawing of the streets, so you know where to go! Other than that, absolutely great service. Very new, modern, sleek hotel. Staff was professional and really did a great job. I personally thanked them for helping to make my first trip to Rio a memorable one. You will not be disappointed.

    « Excellent! »

The Hotel is located in a great location, near Ipanema Beach and Copacabana Beach. The staff was very helpful, specially David (concierge) that was great. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, the room was clean, modern, comfortable, nicely designed....I would recommend this Hotel warmly!!!!

« Excellent value at a great price! »

This hotel is in a great location where Copacabana and Ipanema meet. Being relatively new, everthing was sleek and modern. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room, Deluxe King, was spacious and comfortable with a nice size bathroom with large shower. Short walk to beach and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was just ok, but thats really the only thing I could find wrong with this place. Will definitely stay here again.

« Brand new hotel with excellent location right between Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches. »

Close to the subway station General Osorio, this brand new hotel was very good news. Close to Ipanema beach, it has an excellent services team and a great breakfast. The restaurant is sophisticated and the fare is reasonable for the service and location you get. I recommend.

« Wonderful boutique hotel near Copacabana Beach »

This hotel is a jewel of a find situated between Ipanima and Cocacabana Beaches in the heart of Rio. From the moment we checked in, our experience was nothing short of excellent. This is a new hotel (opened in July 2016) and the attention to detail, from the comfy bed and pillows to the spacious bathroom, was really appreciated. The delicious breakfast, complete with hot eggs (you have to request these) and a extensive buffet, was a delightful surprise. The staff were friendly, attentive and very professional and even carried our chairs and umbrella for us, to the beach. Overall, a memorable experience!!

    « Amazing! »

Amazing hotel, nice big bathroom, comfy bed, great wifi, super friendly and helpful staff, very clean everywhere and a delicious breakfast. Close to both Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

    « Very recommendable! »

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It is beautiful and cozy and the staff is very friendly. It is located close to a lot of really nice restaurants and shopping possibilities In ipanema. The rooms are small but very clean and have everything you need. Sandwiched between ipanema and copacabana you can choose to go to either beach. Definitely recommendable for a Rio holiday!

« Close to shops and transportation »

Room was clean, maid service was efficient and in-house restaurant was very good. Taxi and bus service was outside the doors. Streets around were busy with people and traffic. Area around was very safe.
