The hotel it self is a little old and is starting to show it's age. The rooms are very clean and very quiet. The attached restaurant is very clean and the prices are very good. The hotel gives you a voucher for an excellent breakfast

    « Clean & great restaurant »

We have stayed here once a year for about 6 years due to the location for a tournament & the waterpark for our teams. This year we had a poolside room which was small and had terrible beds. The restaurant food is good & we used our free breakfast vouchers. The only negative is waiting to be seated & for the food when you have early morning games. If you don't need pool side access, ask for a third floor room. They are WAY better.

« Beds are craters, beggar our front »

Old and run down...don't go. I stayed 2 nights and the King bed had a huge divot in it, Carpets were run down and the place is just old. Unless your getting a super price, don't go there. Also, twice there were people out front begging for money. I gave, but just not professional. They were picking at a leg sore.

    « Dance Competition Getaway »

We stay here every year for our dance competition. Now that they offer breakfast it is perfect to the location and allows kids to have some play time in the pool. I try to always stay here if in Regina I like that the pool is always warm, rooms are always clean and that the price is pretty good. I only have 1 complaint and it is the stairs to the waterslide. I wish those could be redone but it is by far the best hotel waterslide so I hope they never to with the ones that you find in some of the newer hotels.

« Nice stay - clean Hotel - was impressed »

pool side room - was nice - a little loud but hey - its a poolside room - clean - neat - Keurig coffee in room with free at front desk - pool was a nice temperature - and pool attendant on duty - no lifeguard though - but waterslide was functioning well / Ricky's restaurant was good for our stay - we ate there for at least 5 times in 2 days - 2 night stay -- gets pretty busy with DFREE coupons breakfast mornings - beware Hotel is clean - neat and kept up --- told the manager of the hotel I was going to place this review - very hospitable man - Did have an encounter with a steroid freak at poolside one evening at 10 pm closing time - who was so pissed he was weaving and swearing - calling me on and uttering threats - almost ruined the stay - told the manager the next day cause I figured shouldn't let this go - pointed out the room to his last known whereabouts ---never heard anything back - perhaps he was a disgruntled Christia Freeland supporter and was upset that NAFTA was not yet complete - who knows - either way - good stay - clean place - good food - will likely return ...great location

    « A fine hotel! »

The waterslide/pool area is amazing! I would like to see a little sauna room added there but it still is one of the nicer pool/lounge areas in a Regina hotel, if not the best! The bed was very comfortable and relaxing. A very nice hotel for the price! :)

« Very rude customer service »

I got a voice mail regarding I guess about my incoming reservation the message wasn't clear enough that's why i call back to check if any problem about my reservation. Called 8:05 pm April 02, 2018. The girl in customer service doesn't give her name when she answered the phone giving me hard time blah blah blah. Don't you have a system that will check your guess last name on your portfolio? The girl ask me " WHY DON'T YOU GO TO YOUR EMAIL AND CHECK YOUR RESERVATION NUMBER AND GIVE IT TO ME SO I COULD FIND OUT WHATS IN THEIR. is that how they welcome their guess.? and beside why would they bother leaving a message to confirm and ask about incoming reservation dont they have policy about cancellation the reservation will be 2 weeks from now and it is book 2 months ago paid with credit card already.

    « Great family hotel! »

We received the best customer service. Front counter staff was excellent. We had a small issue with the fridge in our room and they were right on it! The staff member was in our room in under 3 minutes and the problem was fixed right away. We had a room with a door right into the pool area and what a treat that was! The slide is amazing. So much fun for the kiddos.

clean and enjoyable stayed only 1 night but very good staff were great and will return to this hotel in the future very convenient on the main road going through regina sask food and service was good and clean hope to be there again thanks timmer

    « Ok Hotel »

The room was ok. However, the room had a door to the adjoining room and the neighbors talked all night. I did not sleep well as a result. Pool looked nice. Wi-Fi was ok but not really high speed. In general it was just a very average hotel. Nothing special.

    « Average stay »

Really average hotel. It worked for our needs, a quick overnight stop, but I'd probably pick another spot next time. Hotel has had some good years i am sure but shows the wear and tear of age. Ceilings in hallways are very low so feels a bit trapping. Room was clean and quiet, everything is just, well, old. Breakfast at Rickis was a bonus.

    2
« Waterslide stairs need to be replaced »

We've been going to the Seven Oaks for years but won't be back until they replace the stairs to the waterslide. The waterslide is the main reason we take our family to the Seven Oaks but the stairs have rusted so bad it no longer feels safe. Its too bad because we really like the hotel otherwise.

    3
« Not so Hot but yet Warm »

Stayed here for business. Hotel needs some updating (has been around a long time). Rooms are ok but the bed was very soft (not in a good way) and sloping on one side. Room was also very warm so when adjusting temperature it didn't seem to matter. Pool area is ok too but needs some good updating especially water slide area, very rusty. Only good thing was the pool was very nice and warm, one of the best temps I have seen. Overall, 2.2/5.0.

    5
    « Very nice! »

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The fact that the floor was a nice laminate rather than carpet was awesome. Also the linen was all washable and not a heavy spread and blanket. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

    1
« One of the worst $140.00 a night hotel water parks I've ever stayed at »

Staff seems incompetent and uncaring. when we called for an extra blanket we were told it would be a half hour and when I offered to run down and get it I was told that was not possible as her guy went to the airport whatever that means- so when I expressed my disappointment and that I'd complain to a manager desk lady just said ?ok? not to mention they refused to take a cash deposit even though the credit card holding the room was only prepaid with 100.00 which made no sense as incidentals cost more than that-also slide was outdated-scary looking and place is definitely in need of updates-I will not stay here again due to their pure lack of concern and customer service-lots and lots of other places in town that are just as nice-more accommodating and better prices for same quality-I will also b making sure our travel club sees this as to not recommend to any west gate customers this is only the second negative review I've given in my lifetime

    4
    « Good family hotel »

Probably one of the best water parks in the city. It's getting time to have the water slide fixed up. But good place to get together with your family. I utilize this hotel for the park and fly option. It's well worth it

    2
    « Old »

Breakfast was just okey, could have been better. The hotel needs a face lift. The pool area seemed dark and the slide looks old. The hotel offers a reasonable price, but with the tight competion i would prefer to book other hotels around Regina that has a better waterslide and pool and newer rooms. The good side, the pool area has tables and chairs which is good. Some people would bring in food and drinks.

    1
    « Terrible »

Terrible services from the time you arrive, from the front staff to the restaurant servers, security they were all rude. Terrible experience. Will never recommend anyone staying here ever again. Very rude did not want us there.

    4
    « Albert Street Access »

Very nice hotel and easy to get to with lots of outdoor parking. The interior of the hotel is very nice when you enter and the check in staff were superb. Good restaurant attached and amenities available. Bed quality was about medium. Pillows were excellent, with a variety of depths and softness/hardness to suit anyone. The bed I got sagged towards the one side and the mattresses were in need of turning. Slept on the other bed in my room and it was perfect, so must have been seldom used. Temperature controls worked perfectly, everything was clean and well supplied, coffee machine worked without difficulties and room was quiet, even though its on a busy corridor. Only thing to keep in mind is that I didn't see any plug ins in the parking lot out front. They may have had plug in parking stalls that I didn't see, but call ahead and check if you are driving a vehicle that needs to be plugged in.

    4
« Excellent quality for the price »

We frequently stay in Best Western hotels as we trust the BW brand and the Seven Oaks doesn't disappoint. Large, very clean rooms, excellent customer service. Love that there's a fitness room on the third floor away from the pool area. The attached restaurant has good food and great service. Will definitely stay again.

    « Great place. »

Whenever we need to stay at a hotel in Regina it's the Seven Oaks. Relaxing in the hot tub is the perfect way to settle down for the night. The main pool area has a ample pool with a very fast water slide. The tropical setting can get you ready for any upcoming vacation if you choose to stay there before it starts. They do offer a park and fly option which depending on how long you go away for can be a cheaper option then parking at the airport even with the hotel cost. They offer shuttles to the airport, or to the Rider games. The on-site restaurant (Ricky's) is very tasty and affordable.

    « Not a business trip hotel »

Traveled on business with a friend - we each had a room. No idea why they placed we 2 little old ladies at the very far end of the property! I'm talking all the way to the back. My room was a pool view room, my friend's was not. The night man scared the crap out of me both nights I stayed by rattling my poolside door! I thought someone was trying to come in and called the desk. Their response was not helpful. Needed to ask each day for tea for the coffemaker. Was not impressed with the interior room layout - cross hall bathroom setup with the toilet and tub on one side of the main door and the sink on the other. Finally, they really need to look at replacing the kindergarten toilets with ones made for adults. full 16" high toilets should be a given at any hotel. This might be a great "family" hotel with the pool and such, but not a good business space. The restaurant attached was OK

    4
« Good- Pool hours need to be longer »

The hotel is very nice. Rooms nice. Great pool area, however the hours not great. Should be later on weekend or allow for time to just sit in pool area. Adult time in area would be nice. Breakfast not great. Not a great selection.

    4
    « Pretty good »

Very helpful front service. Loved the pool and rooms near pool had own entrance way and Wi-Fi was nice and fast. Bed was soft and loads of nice pillows. Breakfast wasn't the best thing I ever had. Would definitely stay again.

    4
« Great hotel for staying with family. »

Nice clean hotel that has been updated within last few years. Wonderful pool area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant has good food. Really like breakfast being included with the stay (some days buffet style, other days it's in the restaurant).

    2
    « Won't stay here again! »

Stayed as part of sports team - group rate higher than other teams staying! At booking - told brekkie was off menu from restaurant - wasn't! It was cold/half cooked scrambled eggs & sausage "buffet." 2 men loitering out front begging for cash & cigarettes. Won't be back!

    1
« Blood on the sheets, rash from the pool »

Staff need to be trained in customer service and compassion. Their website gave me information that conflicted with what the front desk staff gave me upon check in. They were incredibly rude to me when I challenged that information. There was blood on the sheets where my 11 and 8 yr old sons slept that I didn't notice until morning. The pool is so over chlorinated that we all got a rash. When I brought this to the managers attention, all they could say was, "there's nothing wrong with the chemicals in the pool". The quality of the continental breakfast was very poor. I was made to feel like a jerk for bringing any problems to the staff's attention. I will never stay here again!

    5
« Good hotel with Ricky's All Day Bar & Grill Restaurant in facility. »

The BW Sevenoaks is a very large hotel. Worth mentioning mobility issues at check-in as the elevator was a long distance from our room, which seemed to be in another wing. Wasn't a problem, just a very long walk. The hotel and room spotless and all staff pleasant. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Easy free car parking and free Wifi. The attached Ricky's Restaurant was very handy and is used by the BW for breakfast service. They give a voucher to guests and if nothing extravagant ordered the breakfast is free. My husband had a delicious breakfast of eggs etc., which was free and I paid a small amount to have Eggs Benedict, which was perfect. We had also eaten dinner there the previous night and it was so easy after a very long, non-stop drive to walk in from the hotel and have dinner. The menu was extensive, prices moderate and service good.

    « Great hotel »

Great hotel, great waterslide and pool, great staff helpful courteous, comfy beds, couch a little to soft but overall great experience. Close parking with plugins pets welcome. Hotel is clean good food

    5
« Excellent Staff and Service »

Clean rooms, pool and hot tub well maintained, staff very friendly. The location is close to many amenities. No bed bugs which was fantastic ??. Very handy having a plug in for vehicle with the extreme windchill. It was rather relaxing. Have no complaints at all. Definitely recommended to stay again there. The food was great as well.

    « Hockey Tournament »

Stayed at the Seven Oaks for our daughter's hockey tournament. Hotel was within 10 minutes of main arena we played at. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. Loved the large pool area and the kids loved the pool-side pizza. Will definitely recommend for our next tournament.

    4
    « Experience »

Nice experience just for 2 nights though. I would certainly pick Best Western again. Very calm and quite. I wish I could have stayed for more than two nights. The only problem was it was snow on these nights I stayed there.

    3
« Making my sales call rounds »

The beds are okay and I brought my own pillow. But the TV channels and remote. There is no guide button on the remote so you need to always remember that channel and start from there, an upgrade should be considered.

    4
« The secrets in the service »

Older but extremely well kept hotel with quiet comfortable rooms, friendly experienced staff, tons of room for parking, restaurant has really sharp staff and great service. Without a doubt some of the best trained and experienced front end staff you'll find

    3
    « Regina, SK »

Pros - the room was big and the pillows feel heavenly. The looks great. Taxi is free going to the hotel and airport. Cons - it does not look as the usual BW. The carpet looks filthy. The resto service is a bit sloppy.

    4
    « Edmonton Return »

I use this hotel occasionally and it is a decent clean establishment. The one amenity that commends it to me is the attached restaurant which allows access to food and beverage in inclement weather without having to leave the premises. The restaurant is very good and the staff courteous and efficient. while the menu isn't over extensive there is adequate choice, well prepared and cost effective. The rooms are clean and well maintained..

    4
    « 1st Winter night »

Stayed over a Sat night while vehicle was in Canadian Tire Auto shop. Surprised by friendly staff, big play off game for local fans against Calgary. RR lost but staff were enthusiastic and engaged with patrons, very personable while performing duties. Staff provided genuine and authentic opportunity to engage with guests.

    5
    « Fantastic water park »

Your family will love the water park. Constantly staffed with people who care about your safety and hotel experience. The breakfast is your choice of several meals at Rickies. Very friendly lounge. Nice little liquor store as well. I was very impressed with the internet speed. The location on Albert Street north would be ideal for many travelers as well.

    5
« Convenient Place to Stay »

Good value, there is a Rickys restaurant attached and the hotel offers free breakfast there for hotel guests. The staff is friendly and happy to help with any problems or special needs. They have a good exercise room.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

In Regina on family business and had an early flight the next morning. They have breakfast on the go for those early morning departures when nothing is open. Hotel was excellent and looks like a great spot for kids as well.

  • 4
    « Pleasent Stay »

I enjoyed staying at the Best Western Hotel Seven Oaks in Regina, SK. I would definitely stay again. Two small complaints. One the bathtub's plug would not seal so bathing was not an option. Second, they did not refill my coffee pods in the room for my second night.

    5
    « Amazing Hotel »

Hotel pool area was amazing with a 3-storey water slide and hot tub that is very suitable for adults and kids. Rooms were excellent with a large fridge, microwave and keurig coffee maker. Lobby area is very beautiful and welcoming. Breakfast coupon provided for restaurant with great food. Would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Regina again.

    4
« Visit for football game »

The location was great for our needs- easy to access and the service from check in to check out was great. Very busy restuarant- so try to be there during non peak times. The service at the restaurant was still good!

    2
    « Very old hotel »

This hotel in desperate need of upgrading. The hotel room has a funny ghetto smell like some cheap hotel smell. Wall finishing, counters and toilet are very old. Will not come back to this location. Poor breakfast choice as well.

« Visiting Regina for Skate Canada International »

I stayed at Seven Oaks Best Western Oct 26-29, 2017. I checked in after midnight and received excellent check in service. The room was clean and comfortable and I enjoyed the King bed! The free included breakfast at Ricky's was good and the staff friendly. I enjoyed the pool once as well! It was a fantastic spot to stay as it wasn't very far from the airport, downtown or the Brandt Centre. Good value too! Thanks for a great stay!

    4
    « Pleasant experience »

Excellent service and facilities. We were impressed by the service as soon as we entered the building. When they realized we were tired and anxious to get registered, coffee was offered and even delivered to our room along with cookies! I believe it was the manager who delivered this personally. We felt that was certainly going beyond their duty!

    4
    « FUN »

Liked the layout of the Hotel and the fact the breakfast offering was handled through the adjacent restaurant .I would just add a additional offering be made available which included fruit otherwise breakfast offering very good and staff very good.

    4
    « Quality »

Hotel is clean and well managed, but is starting to show a little age aesthetically. It has a huge pool area with a massive slide, and they let you have food and drinks in the patio area, which is great if your there with the family.

    5
    « Another Great Stay! »

We have stayed at Seven Oaks before and have already booked rooms for travel in 2018. The hotel may be dated but that does not mean that it isn't clean and inviting. We like the fact that we can leave our vehicle here while we are away for a nominal fee. The shuttle to and from the airport is also appreciated. Nice big pool area with bar service.

    4
    « great service »

Staff was great, hotel was clean and quiet. Made for a good place to spend the night. Central location in Regina. They had everything I needed and lots of parking space with good access. Thanks to the staff!

    « Vacation »

This hotel definitely was one of the best we visited this year (and we've visited many). The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms we had (on the way out west and the way home) were lovely. In fact the second room was even better than the first. The breakfast was excellent..Very good value overall.

    4
    « Good Hotel »

The hotel was ok. it is a old hotel however the staff is friendly. The area where the hotel is located is not that too nice. the breakfast was good. the gym is small and it has everything you need to basic workout.

    5
« Great value for the price »

Excellent amenities. Fitness centre is MORE than just a treadmill and water fountain which is very appreciated. Room was spacious and functional. Bed was deliciously comfy. Could use more mirrors......you know...for science. Great experience with staff.

    5
    « ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE »

As I travel quite often , both business & leisure, I like to have a place that I know in advance is both clean and save. This I have found with the Best Western Group. I also appreciate the fact that in any of the Best Western hotels that I have stayed in, the staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful, about things to see and do both in the city as well as their particular area of it. They also recommend places and events to see and do.

    3
« Best Western Seven Oaks »

Hope the hotel room smelled musty and the toilet leaked. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! The location was great! We did not use the pool or waterslide as it was a very busy area.

    4
« Labour Day Long Weekend »

Have stayed here. couple of times. Usually for Rider Games. This was the best. Game stared at 2. Got in around noon. They had a room read for us this year. Were very happy about that. The room was clean. Had everything we needed.

    5
« Perfect little get away... »

We had a mini holiday with another couple and all our kids. We had a blast. We went to the science Center, royal museum and then spent the evening swimming in he pool. The kids had a blast. Rooms were clean, internet worked great and we even got free breakfast the next morning.

    3
    « Moderate »

Food in Ricky's was horrible. BBQ chicken tasted like it was boiled and sauce just added on top....yuck. The rooms are older and not updated but fair value for the price. Nice looking pool even though i didn't use

    3
    « G&R »

We have stayed here many many times and the rooms were always nice and clean, except this last time, there was hair in our bath tub and our toilet seat in the inside had poop it, was not impressed and complained to the front desk and ask for our room tobe done as a complete, when returning to our room our room was cleaned but the hair still remained in the shower, so needless to say we were not impressed with the cleaning staff this time around, but front desk did pay for our lunch that day which impressed us.........we also found out a long time staff member in the lounge Sherman will be retirering this February and he is one of the reasons we stay their cause he makes us always feel like at home when we are their.....so I would like to wish him well with his retirement and hope to run into again the next we are in Regina along our travels!!! Our room was 348 so look for hair in the tub befor staying in that room!!!

    « Regina ain,t so Bad »

Went to Regina to pick up some parts we had ordered. As it turned out the hotel was actually very close to where we needed to go. Along with that the hotel was near a beautiful downtown area with beautiful old homes, and a huge I believe man made lake area, and park. All these years driving through Regina , i have never discovered this area. We really liked what we say.

  • 5
    « Awesome hotel »

Love this hotel. Poolside rooms are great and the kids love it here. Easy to keep an eye on the kids in the pool area. Rooms are renovated and spacious. Plus if your traveling they will take you to and from the airport for free. Plus you can park at the hotel the entire time you are away.

    4
« A great place to stay - especially as part of a rally or other event. »

My husband and I stayed here while attending the 3 C.A.V. (Canadian Army Veterans) Rally, with others from across all four western provinces. The room was just fine, and had everything we needed. The meals were great - plenty of great-tasting food and very good service!

    5
« Best Western Regina - good place to stay »

friendly and courteous front desk staff restaurant has very good food and welcoming staff bar/lounge easily accessible from inside hotel pool is children friendly front parking at a minimum but lots on side

    « So Many Memories »

This is a great hotel! The price, location, and quality of service was amazing! I will definitely be coming to stay here when I come back into town, I made so many memories that I will never forget, and it's all thanks to this hotel!

    2
    « Rooms smell »

Smelly rooms. The only good thing about this place is the pool for kids. No breakfast. Needed to use my own pillow. Bad part of town (crime rate... look it up for yourself). I would never stay here again.

    2
« Unbearably hot room, mould in the shower »

Room was unbearably hot. Called front desk was told to turn it up two degrees otherwise it would continue to blow heat (even tho we had it on cool). We could barely sleep, it was so hot in there. I know the ac was working in the other areas of the hotel because we would periodically open our door to let in a blast of cold air. This wasn't a good experience. I just assumed that a well known chain hotel in Canada of all places, would have decent ac and heating in all rooms (if the room is baking in the summer heat I assume it would be extremely cold during our prairie winters). I will have to change how I reserve hotel rooms because I don't want to experience this again. This summer has been crazy hot on the prairies. I suggest you skip this location and either keep driving or cough up the extra $50-75 for an upscale hotel where it would be less likely that they have such outdated/minimal heating and cooling systems in their rooms. Sorry guys, but I've stayed in multiple BW locations, and this particular one was lacking because of the ac situation and the fact that the shower was mouldy. Didn't see this until late at night and didn't want to wake my kids if they offered to move us, so didn't report. However I think that your cleaning staff are capable or identifying mould or growths in the bathrooms while they are cleaning. It shouldn't still be there after cleaning...there's a Canadian Tire store right across the way, so there's no way you can tell me that you couldn't get mould remover.

    « Great Stay! »

Came into the city for a last minute Rider game. The hotel was close to the stadium and lots of amenities. The pool was fantastic and refreshing! Our room was quite humid and hot, but it did reach almost 36C that weekend. We had maintenance check our ventilation system which he said it was working. He offered us a fan to help circulate the air which was great! Definitely would stay here again!

    4
« Close to Mosiac Stadium »

Nice hotel rooms recently renovated clean & quiet. Rickis restaurant in hotel good food great service. Great place to stay if going to Mosiac Stadium for a Roughriders game. Hot tub was under repair but a very nice pool area with a water slide.

« Id stay here again »

It was 6 nights of good sleep. I was on the back side and the room was quiet and dark. The room had a bad deodorizer smell that frebreez took care of each day. The room was clean but the bathroom kinda small. The staff was great and restaurant was too but am let down breakfast is NOT included, so i brought breakfast stuff. Id stay here again because location was great.

    « Didn't get what I paid for. »

Booked a queen room, pool access on the main floor on the Best Western website. Went to check in and was told they had me in a double bed with no pool access. I showed my reservation and luckily there was a pool access on the second floor, but it only had double beds. As well the stair structure for the slide has seen better days. Not going to stay here again. Too bad b/c the location was very good.

    « Beat expectations »

Before we left for our trip to Regina, we had heard "horror" stories of what we would expect for this hotel. It was recommended to seek another hotel, which turned out to be too late to do so. However, upon staying at the Seven Oaks, we were pleasantly surprised to find that none of those stories were true in our experience. Our room and the premises appeared to be clean the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, one huge problem we encountered was the walkway from the second floor ice machine/elevators to the hallway access to the rooms. There is a gentle slope of the floor down to the hallway and one night I had a huge fall on that sloped floor due to someone having dripped water from their ice bucket onto the very slick tiles of the floor. Just a little bit of water will make these tiles treacherous...I can't imagine how bad they would be in winter time with everyone's wet winter boots. One fall would have been bad but I could get over it. However, my daughter, who was there for volleyball nationals, also took a huge spill, almost identical to mine. She went down hard and the ice bucket contents went everywhere and she hurt her elbow slightly. The sloped floor needs a bunch of grip strips so that the your feet have somewhere to grab onto if it gets slippery. I wonder how many others have fallen. I was going to complain to the desk but there was a huge lineup and so meant to do it at checkout, but were in a hurry to get to our games. Otherwise, the hotel was a good choice for our stay.

« Hotel was nice, but no breakfast »

While we enjoyed our stay, we were not notified that they were no longer offering breakfast with the stay. We ended up having to run out and eat elsewhere. The staff didn't seem to know when and why they stopped serving the free breakfast. Very frustrating.

The staff is absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful. They shut down water slide pool area to help us locate a lost hearing aid in pool . They also provide a container of rice to aid in drying it out. They asked several times if it was working. They are a definite true display of customer service and satisfaction. Highly recommend this establishment.

    « Comfortable Stay »

Stayed one night, staff very friendly, rooms clean and beds comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly and there is a green space next to hotel to exercise the dog and they even provide a station just in case you forgot your clean up bag. Rooms are quit and the breakfast ample. Quick assess off and on to the TransCanada.

We enjoy our stays at this property. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful and make sure you are satisfied. We park our vehicle here and fly, very reasonable rates. They have a waterslide and pool complex which is great for families. Ricky's Restaurant is on site. Situated on Albert Street which is a main street, that you can access shopping malls, box stores and restaurants.

Clean, high quality hotel for a great price. Dog friendly! Green space for your pet. I had no idea the hotel is located in the highest crime rate area of Regina. However, my experience exceeded my expectations. My friend and her kids joined me in the pool and we all loved every minute of it. I recommend this hotel for sure!

Not at all satisfied with the staff. Not helpful at all with what we needed. Just stood there and almost had blank stares. King room was only on inside with no windows, but they didn't really care. Should have been told that upon making the reservation on the phone.

« Doesn't like teams just their money! »

Pool close too early. Kids can't be kids and no place for parent to socialize after 10!! Pool supervisor constantly kicking kids out for having fun. When kids were out parents wanted to stay in the pool common area and enjoy a few beverages- no way. We hung out in the hall until the security guy nearly had a fit because he had three floors and four teams and he couldn't sleep on the couch in the lobby!!

    1
    « Not team friendly »

Terrible hotel guest accommodations for teams. No common area for parents or kids to congregate, pool area was off limits after 10pm. Security was confrontational in all areas of hotel. Don't book team.

    « Great experience »

Excellent experience with this location. Nice ambiance inside, very clean, every amenity, surprisingly sound proof rooms (hockey kids staying near us), comfy bed/pillows, breakfast, a gym, and late check out (12:30!) option. What more could you want for the price? Only thing I'd change was the reception service - should be warmer, friendlier, more welcoming. Other than that detail, highly recommended for this decent price.

    1
« If you are part of a sports team not stay here »

The pool closes at 10 and the hotel closes at 11 with no common area. 4 hockey teams at $5,000 per team we offered to book a meeting room told us no, the security person told us that he was not happy that kids were playing man tracker and that he would remove us if the kids were running around. My question, why didn't you tell us the rules when we set up the reservations and took the teams $5,000/ team reservation. Would have stayed at the Sandman where they do accomidate teams.

« Would definitely stay here again ! »

we we're in Regina for volleyball nationals , were supposed to stay at a different hotel but the quality was so poor we moved here . They managed accommodated almost our entire team ! The entire staff was extremely kind and helpful . The rooms were clean, comfy and the pool area was awesome ! We would stay here again for sure !

« Great hotel, Amazing Restaurant »

Hotel is great for families and teen sports teams. Waterpark pool is amazing. Rooms are clean and decent. Ricky's restaurant staff were amazing. The breakfast was quite good for being included with room. The staff at the restaurant was some of the best I've ever seen-super friendly, helpful, and welcoming!

    4
« The pool was great »

Overall we had a great stay. The pool was the highlight of our visit. My son was provided a life jacket upon request and there were towels and pool side chairs. The slide is a real hoot. Our reservation identified free breakfast but when I requested where to go to eat, it was communicated without mich empathy that they no longer serve free breakfast and we would have to pay at the restaurant. Overall I still recommend best western as they're a great place to stay.

    3
« Hotel ok to stay »

Hotel ok to stay. Staff should be pleasing voice while interacting with customer. Hospitality of the receptionist should be improved. Hotel is clean but little old. Amenities are good. Place of the hotel near to the city.

    « Good stopover »

Stopped for the night and booked our rooms on points. Staff was great and both check in out were a breeze. This is s large hotel with a lounge/bar, Ricky's restaurant, liquor store and a number of banquet rooms as well as a pool with slide and hot tubs for kids. Our room was by the pool which was kind of unfortunate as we didn't have kids with us and we're big planning on utilizing the pool. We also ended up with no window as a result, as our room looked out to the pool.

This hotel is what you'd expect from chain. Rooms were clean. Located near train tracks so a bit annoying. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Continental Breakfast had less choices than normal.

« One of the best hotels I've been to in months. »

Last time I was at a hotel like this, it was also a Best Western. Beautiful decor, modern rooms, excellent service. The free breakfast is amazing, and it's in the restaurant so it's not a crappy Continental breakfast. Has many good and filling meals to choose from. Awesome pool with waterslide and rooms opening up onto the pool, which would be awesome for a family vacation. Rooms are clean and quiet. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful time.

« Do Not Spend your Money Here »

I called to book 4 pool side rooms which I was confirmed were booked. My family arrived and checked in before I arrived, my flight was a little later. Needless to say, we did not have pool side rooms. I went to the front desk to inquire and was told that they cannot guarantee any location for your room when booking. A few short sentences later the girl at the desk said all of the pool side rooms had been booked 2 months prior. I find this to be a conflicting statement. I was told I would need to speak with the manager who would be in at 8 am , then 9 am. The following morning I went back to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager, turns out he would not be in until 11 am now. At 10 am our group was packing our belongings to check out (check out is 11 am) the cleaning staff waited outside our rooms with supplies in hand to clean our rooms. We felt uncomfortable and like we needed to rush to leave. Pool was cold and hot tub was not hot. The kids had fun on the water slide, however, there was no supervision at the top of the slide and the kids would come too closely together and land on each other at the bottom. Pictures on their website advertise this hotel as being newly renovated. Definitely not any of the 4 rooms we were in. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

« Great choice for stopover! »

Stopped on our way to Winnipeg and found this to be a very clean friendly atmosphere. The pool was busy - which was expected because it was Easter weekend, but the kids still had a blast and the water slide was seriously awesome. Having to restaurant attached to the hotel (Ricky's) was very helpful - the included breakfast saved me dragging 3 kids to another venue before we left. The service in the restaurant was wonderful and they were great with my kids as well. The rooms were clean and nice, wifi was great and overall I had no complaints!

« Older dated hotel, not best location »

Hotel offers free Wi Fi and breakfast included, with airport shuttle. The rooms are smaller and dated in decor and looks, need some TLC. Not the best location in town on Albert St. need a vehicle to get around. The hotel has good restaurant and bar attached which met our needs. Front desk service was good.

    « Nothing Special »

I was unimpressed because I am used to Best Western having a free breakfast, which this location did not. The room smelled very strong of a perfumed spray when we arrived that was covering up another musty smell. Bathroom was not clean, carpet was not clean. I was disappointed for the first time with Best Western since becoming a loyalty member. Was not offered an upgrade which is normal with my membership status. Won't be very loyal next time I stay in Regina.

    « A Beautiful Leisure Trip »

I reserved online at BestWestern.ca and I've stayed here before. The swimming pool area is one of the best in the country. A well maintained relaxing area. If your room is poolside the kids can be a little loud in the morning but that's to be expected I suppose. That's why I put the sleep quality at only Very Good. The king size bed was comfy, the room was very clean and the staff were very kind and courteous. Overall I highly recommend the Best Western Seven Oaks Inn!

    « Good Enough »

The location was excellent for my needs. When asked for a credit card for incidentals they actually ran it through and put a hold on $100. That had to be reversed at checkout and it was. Very clean! The heater was a little noisy. No one advised me that there was a free breakfast. That was unfortunate

« Excellent Family Get Away »

Our family spent two nights in this hotel on a recent trip to Regina. The room was very spacious and very well equip, with mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig, etc. We stayed in the far corner on the 3rd floor and never had any issues with noise, despite the hotel being full of other families. The pool area was wonderful. We spent pretty much the entire time poolside. A few things that I would like to see fixed/changed are: 1. The floor around the pool is EXTREMELY slippery and a very real health and safety hazard. Over the course of the two days we stayed at the hotel, I witnessed several slips and falls on the floor surrounding the pool, including one from a member in our group, who ended up with bruising due to the fall. There's also limited space between the deep end of the pool and the stairs to the water slide, and with the slickness of the floor, it's entirely possible that someone could slip and fall right into the deep end of the pool. There are no lifeguards on duty, so that could be a potentially dangerous or tragic situation. Please consider applying a texture coat to the floor surrounding the pool and employing a certified life guard in this area. 2. Hotel food is the only food permitted in the pool area. I get why this rule may be in place, due to licensing issues, but it was rather inconvenient to try and get the kids to leave the pool area, dry off, go to the room to eat and then go back. Given that we were on the third floor and in the far corner of the hotel, that was quite a trek. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and would be glad to stay again.

    3
    « Completely Satisfactory »

Room was very clean and had a fridge and microwave so we had breakfast in the room. A little dated decor but can't fault it. If you had kids with you the pool would be great but not so much for adults. Staff were friendly but we didn't have a lot of exchanges. Nothing fancy but no complaints.

« Well located and great experience »

I was in Regina overnight for a football game. This hotel is very close to the stadium as well as shops and restaurants. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels of the same quality. The room was very quiet, clean, well appointed with fridge and miro-wave (which I didn't need to use).. Even though the hotel is right on one of the busiest streets, the room was very quiet. The queen size bed was very comfy and I had lots of towels in the bathroom.. I had a breakfast in the restaurant, service was good and food was tasty. I would definitely stay here again.

« Great Stay at Seven Oaks »

Have not stayed here in awhile, Rooms appear to have been recently renovated and are well appointed. Modern décor and comfy beds. The hotel is well located for dining out, access to highways heading north, and downtown. Has a pool, and restaurant on site. Good place to stay for a family trip or business.

« Hotel brought down by restaurant and bar »

We were at the Seven Oaks Inn for the Labour Day Classic -- a mix of Bomber and Rider fans. The hotel itself was quite nice. The restaurant and bar not so much. Sunday breakfast at the Ricky's was disappointing. Our waitress could rarely be found and when the food arrived the plates were piping hot and the food was lukewarm and the food requests weren't followed at all. We were given 50% off our meal by the manager, but it was our poor waitress who had to come and tell us. On the Sunday night two of us went into the almost empty bar and we saw quite soon why it was so empty. The woman working as a bartender was about as friendly as a startled rattlesnake. She was excessively grumpy from the moment we arrived with lots of eye rolling and rudeness. Ugh. The hotel itself though...actually pretty decent.

    3
« Good Hotel but noisy »

Took family for a few days. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly enough. Pool area is huge and kept fairly tidy. Hotel does not have control over guest and chooses to ignore rather than quiet loud people down (kids screaming, running in halls, etc at all hours of night). Owner was very rude to staff and seems to have a hate on for clients staying at hotel.

    4
    « Pleasant »

Check in was very quick and friendly. The room was excellent. There is a restaurant in the hotel. I did not use it as I had another previous engagement. There is a nice workout room. Overall my 1 night I stayed was pleasant and quiet. I was told by some locals that the area isn't the best but I had no issues on this occasion.

    « Good location »

This hotel is in a good location which is easy to find. We all like its swimming pool and hot tub. There are many shops and restaurants in its neighborhood. The staffs are very helpful and nice. Its security measurements are so great that we have a peace of mind.

    « No A/C »

We checked into this hotel and they gave us a room on the third floor. Entering the room, I noticed that it was very warm, but the thermostat was set at 68 degrees. The air from the fan was not cool. So I went down to the front desk and they wanted to send a repairman. I asked for a different room, rather than sit in a hot room waiting to find out it would not be fixed. They gave me another room on the same floor. After not being able to unlock the door, a hotel employee that was passing by tried with no luck then opened it with is key. I went in to find it was a slight bit cooler but not still on the warm side, perhaps 80 degrees. After having to go down again for a key fix, we didn't want to complain about the second room, so we just moved our stuff in. It was the worst night's sleep of this 6 week trip...way too hot to sleep in that small room with 2 people and a dog. Clearly the compressor for these rooms was not working. And interestingly, the thermostat did not have the option to switch from heat to cool, something I have never seen on a system that does both. So, perhaps the rooms don't HAVE A/C at all. Will not stay here ever again.

« Bit pricey for what you get »

We recently travelled halfway across Canada and decided to stay in Best Westerns at each stop. This one was by far the most expensive for no real added bonus. It was easily 30 dollars a night more expensive than the other BW hotels (which were BW Plus hotels!). If you have kids though, this might be fine for you since the access to the pool can be had right off your room and you can see the children from your room or sitting on the patio.

« Good for a stopover - pool with waterslide »

We stayed here on an overnight trip to Winnipeg from Calgary. Beds were comfy, room was clean. Bathroom was on the small side but for one night it was fine. I would find the small sink tiresome for a longer visit. A microwave and fridge (no freezer) would allow some self sufficiency. Food was easy to order at Rickys and you can eat poolside. We brought our dog and had no issues. The hotel borders the railway tracks. On checkin I asked for a quiet room and we did not hear anything. I used the treadmill in the fitness area and it was well maintained and the small fitness area was well equipped and clean. The pool has a good waterslide, and a tiny swimming area. The pool area deck was pretty slippery so I would be very cautious with smaller children (mine are 8 and 10). The stairs/slide showed signs of age but it was clean and safe. Waterslide was a perfect way to decompress after a long day of driving. We had no energy to go out anywhere else. I would stay here again!

« We had a pool party at the water slide pool »

We were there this weekend for a pool party. The hotel is very nice, nice big rooms with a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. I found the room to be clean with great furniture, good Restaurant with good food. The pool area is very nice with a big water slide, poolside rooms with lots of tables and chairs. We were able to order from the restaurant to the pool area food and drinks! One big problem that I saw with the pool area was the floors. The floors are always wet and are very slippery. I witness at least 6 children slip and fall (2 on their head ) and one elderly man. I slipped myself but didn't fall, thank God. Other than slippery floors we had a very nice stay. Bruce B.

I work for a school bus company and we had to come out this way to pick up 10 buses to take back to Edmonton, Alberta. The front desk staff were friendly, quick and helpful. The room was basic but large with a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. I found the room to be clean with great furniture. I also enjoy the shared room door between the 2 rooms as I had coworkers/good friends right next door. As I look at the Window I could see the large pool area and the sun through the Window on the other side of the pool area. I would stay here again if I come back to Regina for business or pleasure. Highly recommend.

« Best Western Seven Oaks Regina, SK »

My two granddaughters and I have found the perfect hotel for our annual birthday outing! They love the pool (I did, too) and the room was very nice. I sat and watched a lot of the time they were swimming and was VERY impressed with the young man who was the pool person. He was busy the whole time; squigee-ing up water, keeping the towels stocked and doing whatever he had to. Never just sat and did nothing. Very good work ethic for a young person nowadays!! The rest of the staff were wonderful, too. No reproach when I locked myself out of our room and later when I forgot my pillow and had to go back for it. We are already looking forward to next year and I'm trying to talk my husband into going there for our anniversary! Thanks BW!!

Great place with great people. From the front desk to the Corner Pub. Can't think of a better hotel to stay in when in Regina. I have stayed at almost all of the hotels in Regina and I keep coming back to the Best Western Seven Oaks. Rooms are clean, food is good and there is lots of parking. « They helped to make my wedding amazing! »

I just want to start by mentioning how much I appreciated all of the hard working staff who are employed here! You rock and you helped to make my wedding day amazing! :) Booking a group reservation for my guests with the front desk was easy. We were given a great rate and amazing service. I stayed Friday and Saturday night. The bed was so comfy! I swear, if I could have strapped that thing to the roof of my car as I left.... The room was super clean and cozy and housekeeping was so quick and efficient Saturday morning about getting the room cleaned before we were to take pictures in the room. We had rented a banquet room for our reception and the banquet staff was so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to help make the evening work the way I had envisioned. The buffet during the event was so delicious. There was so much food I had to try not to pop out of my dress! :P The power went out at one point, (I guess someone at the Rider game had shot a confetti canon at a power line?) but for whatever reason parts of the hotel were still lit which really worked out for us. The DJ still had power and there were candles lit about the room so the evening became very intimate. All my guests were actually happy with the way that worked out. My new husband and I got to have breakfast in bed from Ricky's on Sunday morning. It was REALLY good. The perfect way to complement our stay and set our honeymoon excursion on a high note! Thank you everyone at the Best Western Seven Oaks!

This hotel allows animals. We have a small dog that was accepted and actually greeted. We loved it. People were friendly and full of advice when asked. There was always someone at the desk willing to say hello and did you enjoy your day out. Smiles all around. Lobby was pleasant to come into since this is a family hotel. Parking was convenient and there was an area set up outside the hotel to take our dog for a little walk and a place for her to do her duty. Two hundred words Is a lot to ask when one has just answered all your questions on the survey.

We stayed here for sport tournament. Our group found the hotel great for our needs. The pool area was perfect for group dinners and lounging after busy day. Kids loved the water slides. « Terrible experience »

My family and I stayed at the Best Western/7 Oaks in December 2015. We had a poolside room, which, upon initial inspection, seemed clean and well kept. My daughter and husband were both sleeping when I began to hear a squeaking. At first, I thought it maybe the heat/air unit and tried to sleep. I then heard the squeaking again and this time, it sounded like it was coming from a different area in the room. I wa totally freaked out. I turned on the lamp and listened for the sound, which, by then, I realized was coming from the headboard/head of my bed! I woke my husband to listen, and once he heard it, he pulled the mattress away from the wall, just in time to see a large mouse/rodent enter a huge hole in the wall, just below our bed! We immediately began packing up and called the front desk to complain, and at this time it was around 130am. We actually seen the rodent/mouse again, as it came back out of the hole and was sniffing the air. There was no apology, other than a brief, muttered, "sorry" from some night staff member, who didn't seen too concerned about the issue at hand! The offered us a $30 discount for the nights stay! What a joke! Disgusted and not impressed! I will never stay there again, or recommend this place to anyone!

The room was OK. The Pool and Slide, Stairs and Railings (on waterslide) are in very bad shape. Paint cant fix and doesn't repair anything. They have tried to cover up everything that is rusting ect with paint. On top of the duct work in the pool area is full of garbage i mean full of it. The guys on strike are so bold walking back and forth across the parking lot entrance you would think you will run over them if your not careful. Country is in a recession i am sure there are many people that would be happy with their jobs. Dirty Hall ways on second floor. Dirty band aide on the floor the whole weekend wasn't picked up...Now here is the one positive thought .... Not sure if i would stay there again but the kids do see past this kind of stuff and you can get pool side rooms.

    « Absolutely Horrid »

I can't believe how bad this stay was. I've been using Best Western for years to do all my business travel, I will NEVER make the mistake at staying at the Seven Oaks Best Western again. My unfortunate stay started with talking to a manager after getting my room and finding a cockroach in the bathroom. The overly sweaty manager Glenn told me that the cockroach was no issue, "It's only one". The AC/HEATER in my room was broken and they wouldn't switch me to another room. Then I saw how Glenn handled some striking workers outside. When leaving to go to dinner I watch Glenn harass strikers out front. He repeatedly shoved a woman. As a woman very unsettling, is this how Best Westerb handles strikers? If so I'd rather use Motel 6, it's cheaper anyways.

    « Dance Mom's Den »

The Seven Oaks has become a haven of hairspray and glitter for our dance families as the hotel is located within walking distance of the dance competition. The fact that you can retreat to the quiet comfort of your own room or join your friends around the pool is a very attractive feature. The on sight restaurant is a plus as you can enjoy a early morning breakfast or a late night lunch depending on your schedule. The pool is always a hit with the kids and hot tub is pretty inviting after a long day of costume/hair/makeup changes. Super friendly staff at the Front desk! We look forward to next year!

Excellent staff at check in and during stay. Very helpful Had long day driving and was pleased to enjoy a nice room and staff I called ahead and my room was held for me. The cleanness of the bathroom and bed was excellent making my stay very relaxing. The rate was good also

    « Very pleasant room »

Very pleasant room. Clean very happy with the stay. Deep tub and heat lamp in the bathroom was a nice addition. Nice and quite. Not a lot more to say it was everything expected. Lots of parking and very cheerful at front counter. Would stay again for sure.

    « Nice stay »

We had a great stay at this hotel! Nice pool area with a waterslide. Easter weekend it was pretty busy so it was hard to get time in the pool but once we did it was quite nice. I thought we would walk into the room and there just be a bed, like a normal room, but it has a couch in it too. Which I thought was great! Hotel shuttle is so great and convenient too! And Rickies in the hotel for breaky is awesome! Front Desk staff was very friendly as well. The younger boy and the two girls working on Monday 28th Morning were great to deal with! Only negative was it seems like the doors are super thin as we should hear everything on the outside. But never heard anyone above or beside us! Also our a/c / heater woke us up a couple times making a very odd load noise.. But front desk was told and I'm sure that's fixed now. Room 117. At one point to our power was turned off for about 5 minutes which was odd.

    « Amazing place »

First of all I would like to give props the owner for hiring a gay man as a director of sales! Our room was enormous and amazing!!!! The restaurant is the best thing Regina has to offer. There was a strike outside but they didn't bother us.

    5
    « Love this place »

Every time I come to this place, I feel very welcomed, the director of sales always happy to see me, and asks if everything is at my taste, the front desk ladies are friendly and helpful It's been a while since the strike is still on, but that doesn't seem to affect their business, the rooms are descent and clean, the restaurant food is great, from breakfast to dinner, the internet connection is amazing, I was told that his hotel uses the fiber connexion, and this makes a big difference for me, especially since I work in IT

    « Great place »

My wife and I had to go to a cousin's wedding in Regina, who had previously booked a block of rooms for us. When I first heard that we were staying at this hotel, I was hesitatant as I heard there was a strike, but once we got there everything was just flawless, the service, the amenities, the restaurant on site, Rick's restaurant. We traveled with 3 children under the age of 11 and the staff were very accommodating even making a special trip to the room with 2 cots for the kids without us even asking! The kids enjoyed the water slide.

    « Amazing for families »

We tried this hotel couple of times before, this time we decided to bring the kids so that they can enjoy the water slide, despite the strike, everything went smooth. The kids had fun, the pool area was big, we ordered pizza from the restaurant and had it served there, the kids had a blast and so did we. The rooms are nice, the service was nice, and we couldn't ask for more The front desk were nice and helpful.we will be back and we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family

« Perfect Team Stay, Pool is beyond great »

Great place to stay with a team or group! Pool area has lots of tables, what a great night of visiting able to keep an idea on swimmers. Rooms are great, lots of parking, Ricky's is a great restaurant attached.

    « Perfect stay »

This property has become our primary place to stay, unless they have no more rooms for us. We enjoy the pool area, the waterslide is a lot of fun, I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. There was a picket line line outside, it did not affect our stay in any way. We loved it

    « Security Needs Improvement »

During a two night stay people in our group were repeatedly asked for money by men in the entranceway and beside the vending machines, one offered to follow lady back to her room so she could get a $20 out of her purse, there was a loud party after 1 am, and generally the hallways felt unsafe. To be fair and positive, the staff we dealt with were all very good and the restaurant accommodated a large group efficiently.

« The strike is the least of their problems »

Over $160 dollars per night?! Are you kidding me?! Our room was super small and cramped (look at the pictures) and it had this horrible moldy smell. Then there's the train. Great idea to build a hotel next to the train tracks!! You can be sure the train will wake you up. The pool seems to be unattended, but that could be because of the strike going on. BTW, no one told us anything about the strike, so to go in and out of the hotel you will have to go through the strikers, and they keep honking those damn horns all day long. In the end they even had the gall to ask for a positive review, so here is my review.

    « Enjoy our stay »

Friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient, reasonably priced, provides parking for a reasonable rate for those travelling, provides transportation to and from airport has waterslide, pool and hot tub restaurant on site, booking and checking out easy.

    « Good hotel »

It's always nice to stay at this hotel, the staff are always there for you, whenever we needed something, we asked the front desk for help and we got it. There was a picket line, not sure if they are allowed to curse at employees and calling them names in front of my son, I am part of a union and the way the picketers (UFCW) were behaving is definitely the wrong way, I am very disgusted and disappointed, they set up a bad example on behalf of all of us...I will have to contact them and hopefully talk some sense to them We will be back to this hotel, my son loves the pool area, and after a day of pool activities what better place to eat at than the onsite Ricky's restaurant

    « Weird smell »

I stayed at this hotel on Jan 28th and the first thing that I noticed was a strange smell in the room. I thought it might go away, however it didn't. This smell was present the last time I stayed at this hotel about 3 months ago. I have business in Regina every 3 months and will not be staying at this hotel, because of this smell. However on a positive note, the bed and room was clean. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on me, there won't be a third time.

    « Never again »

Back in Regina last night and had to stay here as my other hotel was fully booked. The worst Best Western I've ever stayed at. IN ADDITION TO THE STRIKE OUT FRONT! service of the few staff left to work inside was almost non-existent. I cannot recommend this hotel.

« Strike put a damper on things »

My wife and I have stayed at many hotels in our lifetime, and in all of our years we had never seen a strike going on outside our hotel room. Until we stayed here. Checking in was fine and our room was clean and spacious, so no complaints on those fronts. But the strike/picket line really put a damper on things. We had some difficulty getting in and out of the parking lot, and the atmosphere inside the hotel seemed very tense. Had we known there was a labour dispute going on, we wouldn't have stayed here. I'd recommend going somewhere else.

    2
« Sounds like they mistreat their staff »

Stayed here on a business trip earlier this month and unfortunately they are going through a labour dispute. I work in the financial sector and don't consider myself to be a "union guy," but out of curiosity I decided to chat with some of the striking workers. They said the hotel wants to cut their benefits in half, and won't negotiate with them unless they accept the cut. Sounds like this place mistreats their staff. The hotel itself is fine; my room was comfortable but I noticed that there weren't too many employees working and my room service took a while to arrive. The restaurant also seemed understaffed as I had to wait 10+ minutes for a drink. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again unless I knew there wasn't a strike. Not a memorable experience.

« The employees deserve better! »

Visited some family in Regina shortly after Christmas and was looking for a spot for my wife and children because my family's place was too small. The closest hotel was the Best Western Seven Oaks, which I heard great things about -- especially the Ricky's restaurant. Unfortunately the workers were on strike. After going to the picket line to talk to the workers to let me in, I learned that the owner of the hotel refused to sit down and treat the employees fairly. This establishment is not worth crossing the picket line for in its current state. I will not be going here until the strike is over!

« Good hotel except for the strike »

The hotel itself is fine - room was small but clean. Pool and water slide are dated but well kept up. We unknowingly booked out stay during a strike and I've never seen such belligerent people in my life. They didn't want to let our car through to get in the lot and harassed people with a bullhorn every time they saw anyone come in or out of the hotel. The staff inside were wonderful and very apologetic of the situation. We used the free hotel shuttle service as well and it was terrific. Very handy service. Will go back again.

    « Holiday stop over »

This is the third time in the past year that we have stayed here. As before it was a pleasurable experience with a good staff and hotel ammenities. No doubt we will stay there agian on our next visit to Regina.

« Good stay, needs some updating! »

What we liked: we had a poolside room which was awesome! Nice to just walk out to the pool & waterslide. Ricky's grill the food was really good and they will bring the food poolside for you to eat which is really nice. Room was quiet. Hot tub nice and hot. Waterslide was fun for the kids! What we didn't like: The pool area needs updating! Very slippery! We saw numerous people wipe out on the wet concrete by the pool even my son fell and hurt his elbow. The waterslide was nice and big and fun, but it looks rather old. The bathroom in the hotel is very small. Not good when you have little ones!

    « "Unpleasant Stay" »

Our initial booking was to stay Dec. 26 -27, 2015. Due to unfinished business we requested an extension on Dec. 27 to stay over on Monday as well. First thing on Mon. morning, Dec. 28, we realized there was picket line set up at the entrances to the hotel and that the workers were on strike. Had I been informed on Sun. afternoon that the strike was in the works, I would have checked out Sun. evening and found a room elsewhere. It was very unpleasant for our family to go out and come back in - having to cross the picket lines each time.

    « Needs cleaning »

This hotel was awful for cleanliness:( elevators to the floors and carpets were beyond disgusting.. Thermostats don't work one room was boiling one was freezing... Rooms need work as well as the pool was far to busy as we got asked to leave because it was to busy even though we were paying patrons:( very sad experience and the people that they let in is scary and the area is not the best. Stay in the new areas this isn't a recommend

Simple, basic hotel which is very accessible to all locations in Regina. I did not use any of the amenities offered as it was a quick business trip. Basic Hotel rooms, but comfortable bed. Would stay again

    « Helpful Staff »

I needed a room last minute for myself, my brother and sister due to a family medical issue. The front desk staff was very helpful, accommodating us last minute on a very busy weekend. I have stayed here in the past and always have a good stay. The hotel is central to many locations. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had a room that overlooked the pool area, the families below looked like they were enjoying the waterslide. Even though the room overlooked the pool, the noise was minimal and after 10pm all was quiet. No charge for parking which was nice, and ample room in the parking lot. Thank you Best Western for making a stressful trip less stressful.

« In need of renos »

We recently stayed here for 8 nights, which we do every year for Agribition. We are given the same room every year, which is nice. Makes it feel more like home for us. The rooms are clean & the beds are comfortable. The temperature control is easy to adjust. The staff is very good & always friendly. The hotel itself, however, really needs some renos as it is very dated. Carpets need replacing in our section as well as the furniture. The sofa bed in our room still has the same squeak of springs in it as it did the first time we stayed there 5 years ago. It would also be better if there was a free breakfast included, as the cost of breakfast really adds to the cost of staying here.

    « Regina Bound »

All in all there were ....Nice rooms, Great Bed, fitness center is OK. Coffee Machine in room was a nice addition to the stay (kuerig) The Pool and hot tub were a nice treat....and the water-slide was fun.....even for youthful 55er.....Yee-haw! Having a Ricky's Restaurant in the Hotel lobby was also good....decent food. All in all, a pleasant experience....... Thanks for asking!

    « Enjoyed it »

Had a family member visiting me in Regina, our home was packed and so I paid the room at the Best Western Seven Oaks, kids loved the water slide, got them busy all day long, and I get to sit with my sister and talk and catch up. This hotel has the fastest internet ever, faster than the one I have at home. The only hick up is that my sister forgot to mention that she is a CAA member, we could have got a 10% discount...Next time

« Stay while passing through Regina with the family »

Stayed at the BW Seven Oaks on Albert Street while passing through Regina on a family mini-trip. Location is ok but we largely chose this hotel because it was the only pet-friendly hotel in Regina that had a water slide. Kid's loved the pool and slide and having a pool-side room, although less quiet, was certainly handy. The rooms themselves are in need of a bit of an overhaul but for the most part, everything was acceptable. Some rowdy guests in our hall were promptly ejected after some noisy behavior, which was appreciated, but the hotel security staff were very loud and somewhat unprofessional in accomplishing this task. When all was said and done, the rest of the evening was very quiet.

    « Average at best »

Hotel is in need of a renovation, common area are worn, bed was comfortable though. No real climate control in the room (heat only) and it had a stale odour. Service was good enough though. I typically stay at the holiday inn express and it is much better value for the money

« My home away from home »

Great experience, I enjoy all the Best Westerns from Alberta to Saskatchewan. I have tried other Hotels in the pass, I have been using this Hotel chain for over 5 years now. I have always found the from desk pleasant, processional and friendly. The house keeping is there to help with needs after arriving.

    « Just Okay »

Our room was clean until our last day. We stayed Friday - Monday. The room was clean, comfortable but the walls are rather thin. I could hear the people next door in the morning and I could smell their coffee through the adjoining door that I did not request. Upon returning Sunday evening it was apparent that all that was done in our room was the bed was made and garbage taken out. Nothing was cleaned and yes the recycling was left. The coffee was not replenished. I called down to the front desk and they sent a housekeeper up to deliver me coffee. I must say I was disappointed. Also worthy of mentioning was that I wasn't aware they were a pet friendly hotel. I have pets but do not travel with them. I do draw the line at being barked at when trying to return to my room. A bit disappointed. The restaurant was lousy. My eggs were cold and when I asked for them to be warmed up (via microwave) the only thing that came back decent was the hashbrowns. I have stayed at worse but stayed at better. The room was unbearably hot most of the time and the fan was loud. I think next time I will be trying another establishment.

Very nice location, and you can count on the staff, they are always happy to see me and help me. Enjoyed the pool with my kid, he loves it there. « One Night Stop »

Chose this hotel for a short business meeting. Restaurant and Lounge located right in the hotel which made it convenient. Lots of parking and new treadmill in the fitness center since my last visit. All in all an average hotel with comfortable beds and good internet speed from the hotel provided service.

    « Pet Friendly »

We were impressed at the quality of room we had considering we had two dogs with us. Other hotels put us in the bargain basement rooms! It was a great stay with a comfortable bed! The Seven Oaks is a central location in Regina making getting around the city easy.

    « Good stay »

We stayed here one night after a hockey game. It was a quick check in, the card worked ,room was neat with ample space . We stopped at the lounge after the game and the waitress was informative about our available choices and then surprisingly quick to serve us. She checked back to see if we were done in the right time frame. Very good.

« A Great Stay in the Queen City »

I stayed at this hotel while in Regina for an appointment. I had stayed here before and this time did not disappoint. Everything was great and relaxing. The pool and hot tub were a nice way to relax at the end of the day. Parking and WiFi with good strength and coverage were free. Room service was okay with good portion sizes and prices. Overall, a great stay. I would recommend this hotel for both business travelers and families.

« Clean rooms and friendly staff »

The room was very clean, the restaurant was top-notch, the staff was friendly and helpful. We stay at this hotel every year with a group of students from Germany because we have always been treated with respect and kindness. The swimming pool is always a highlight.

    4
« Went down for a family reunion and based out of this hotel »

The restaurant was great - service and food. The water park was a bit weathered but was clean and the kids loved it. Rooms were a bit small but clean and the cleaning staff were never ever in your face but whipped in like ninjas - only saw them in the hallway never heading for my room when I was there. Bathrooms were too small though.

    3
    « Perfect for Families »

Stayed here with three other families for a weekend away. We stayed poolside which was fantastic for the kids (wet floors as there was not much drip time between the pool and room). The staff were relaxed about outside food and bevvies which suited our style. The room by the pool is a bit noisy if you need to be asleep before 10 or have little ones. Good location for almost anything in Regina. Rooms were comfortable with microwave & fridge. Recently upgraded flooring & decor.
