    « Surprising »

Yesterday evening, I have spent a dinner time in Le Ciel - 1 star Michelline restaurant. A today, I was going to dinner in my hotel and wondering what I can expect? But definitely, really really good foods. I have enjoyed all of them. Typical bayerisch food... I can recommend. Good choice with no regrats...

    « Amazing alpine retreat... »

Our week here was a simply amazing experience: a wonderful location; beautiful room; excellent facilities; delicious food; and above all, a superb team. I really cannot think of anything to fault and would come back in a flash. Stunning!

    « A snowy holiday in a pretty village »

A very pleasant hotel, a little ramble, but very comfortable. Large well appointed rooms and modern bathrooms. A superb indoor oool with lovely views, loungers, sauna, jacussi and beauty treatments. A buffet restaurant with an array of tasty, healthy food. Helpful, cheerful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Set in a small village and on the edge of a National Park with lots of walks, a feeding centre for wild deer with a viewing platform. There was a good bus service to neighbouring villages and lakes and to Salzburg, a very interesting beautiful city.

« Great Family escape in the alps! »

I stayed with my wife, 3 year old and parents for 3 nights. The hotel is located in the heart of the german alps, only 20 minutes away from Salzburg, and offers a cozy and relaxing environment, tasty bavarian dining, relaxing spa and sauna, and very polite and friendly staff!!! Trank you for a beautiful stay!

« 4 night stay in Winter wonderland »

Spent 4 nights at this hotel in February. Superb location for access to nearby national park and Lake Konigsee, with great walking /hiking trails in the snow ranging from very easy to slightly more strenuos. Great sized room , with very comforatable bed. Food was both excellent and plentiful, with a wide choice of food available to suit all tastes at every meal. Staff very attentive and friendly

    « A Winter walking week »

We recently spent a week at this lovely hotel as part of a walking holiday arranged by Inntravel. As is common in Central Europe, this is a family-run hotel. Staff are charming and professional. Many speak some English, helpful to us as we have very little German. We had a glorious room overlooking the valley with mountains behind and a south facing balcony although that is not so useful in snowy February. The food at this hotel is wonderful and most generous. The breakfast buffet covers most options for Europeans and eggs can be ordered freshly prepared. Soup and sandwiches are offered at lunchtime together with afternoon tea - although we were never around for that. The evening buffet was varied, although essentially German in character, with different nightly themes. We had some of the best roast meats we have ever eaten, the meat was tender, moist and succulent. There are choices of salads and good vegetables, and the bread is wonderful. There were very few choices of white wine by the glass, and all were German or possibly Austrian. We would love to return to this hotel during the warmer months and explore the many hiking trails and we would certainly recommend this hotel most highly.

« Large rambling hotel with excellent food above a pretty village »

This hotel seems to consist of several parts but once you have found your way around, it is a pleasant place to stay. The buffet is huge, extensive and delicious and service is friendly. Our bedroom was standard size and decor but clean and modern.

« Excellent Stay in Gorgeous Setting »

The hotel is located in a peaceful, beautiful mountain setting. It has sufficient free parking. The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool. We didn't use either--no time. There is a spa which we also didn't have the time to try. Lots to see in the area and lots of hiking opportunities. We stayed in a Studio Sonnenrose in the new building. It's a good sized room with a king bed. The bed is a little too firm for my taste, but I slept well anyway. The hotel has different pillows you can request. The bathroom has a large tub, separate shower with nice showerhead and separate toilet room. The water temperature in the shower did fluctuate a bit during our stay. There is a window between the bathroom and the bedroom. If you don't like the openness this provides, there is a blind you can close. The room comes with a good sized balcony with two chairs that can be adjusted to lie completely flat for sunning. Our room was in the corner of the building so our balcony was open on two sides. We had a beautiful view of the outdoor pool and the green hills beyond. The room has blackout curtains so you can sleep late if you like. We never heard anything from the rooms next door or above us. It was very quiet. I had emailed the hotel to let them know that my husband suffers from allergies. They suggested that they remove the sheepskin rug that is normally in the room. I answered back that that would be a great idea. When we checked in, there was no sheepskin rug in the room. That's great service. We got the full board package which includes breakfast, snacks, lunch, afternoon cakes and coffee, and dinner. All our meals were delicious. They are served buffet style, with a lot of different choices to choose from. At breakfast you can also order eggs and various meats to order. The croissants are fantastic. Breakfast was my favorite meal here. They cooked the fried eggs just perfect. Everything is included in the meals, except for your drinks. For breakfast juices and coffee come with the meal. The only juices that cost extra are the fresh squeezed orange (delicious & highly recommended) and grapefruit. One morning we asked if someone could pack us a lunch for our hiking day. We were provided with a bag and encouraged to make our own lunch with the available things at the breakfast buffet. The hotel also provides you with a backpack, which we didn't use because we had our own; but this is a nice gesture. At dinner you get an assigned table; but for breakfast you can sit anywhere. The hotel has various areas to eat breakfast, including a beautiful terrace patio that we didn't discover until our third day. Unlucky for us the next morning was raining and the terrace was not open. If you happen to be at the hotel on a beautiful morning, try eating on the terrace. There is also a nice bar where we had after-dinner drinks. The hotel also has individual small rooms where you can dine a la carte in private. One night they had a Bavarian three-piece band in the restaurant during dinner. Really lively! The service in the hotel is exceptional. Everyone tries to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I normally take wash cloths with us to Europe because so many hotels there don't provide them. We used our own wash cloths the first day and hung them up to dry. When they cleaned our room, they left us hotel wash cloths, without us even requesting them. Again, that is service! My only complaint was with the bathrobes. I didn't like the color (sort of dirty brown) and the quality was not what I expected from such a nice hotel. Overall, I would highly, highly recommend this hotel and would have loved to stay longer than our four nights.

    « Unfortunate Stay »

Early September 2017 we spent 3 days in the hotel. We had booked a double room (Bergenzian) with half-board dinner. During the three days, the dinner consisted of a buffet, meat heavy, with a limited amount of fresh salad, little amount of fish dishes and an even more limited selection of vegetarian dishes, mainly in heavy cream sauce. First night, we were led to the table, afterwards forgotten for more than 20 minutes, no menu was presented, neither were we asked for our beverage order. The balcony of the room was neglected, as was the planting in the outer bordering. Access to the hotel internet in our room was not possible and even the hotel operated tablet PC was not able to connect. When inquiring with the reception, been told, the problem is caused by the internet provider. This was obviously wrong, as our mobile device showed full reception by the local provider. This negative experience was shared with some other guests, who were not able to connect their mobile phones to the hotels internet. When checking out we addressed our observations to the reception, who was not much interested in our suggestions. Overall this was a disappointing stay at a high price.

« Lovely and comfortable hotel »

This is a beautiful hotel and the setting is gorgeous. We stayed as part of a walking tour of the area and the whole region is gorgeous. We were hot and sweaty when we arrived after a long walk but we're made very welcome and enjoyed a cold sparkling wine as we checked in - very nice indeed. There are two pools - indoor and out and a spa and the decor throughout is modern, fresh and reflects the alpine flavour of the surroundings. Our room was spacious and had all mod cons - lovely bathroom with quality toiletries, minibar and TV. Food was good too - hearty and plentiful and we were well catered for as vegetarians at every meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout and we also loved the afternoon snack buffet - very nice touch. The reason I'm not giving this a 5 is because of the position of our room. While it was lovely and we did have a terrace, we were disappointed to be looking out over the back of the hotel and onto the back of the kitchen. OK the noise was minimal and we were out all day walking but when we were back we had the noise of the ventilator and comings and goings of the staff. I know that we should have asked for a change but we were so tired when we arrived all we wanted to do was shower and get changed so we didn't and we were only staying a couple of nights. Otherwise - really lovely and I'd definitely recommend it - just ask for a better view than we had!

    « Very enjoyable week »

We really enjoyed our week at the BW Rehlegg. The room was clean with a lovely view, the food was delicious and the breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding. We went to the spa ever day and it was fabulous. Patricia at the front desk was charming and always helpful. She's a credit to the hotel. As well, Melanie and Uta in the dining room were very nice. This is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy hiking.

    « High Score! »

No disrespect to the other hotels in Ramsau, particularly as I've not stayed at them, but the Best Western is a winner and I can understand why it's got the top ranking. Comfortable rooms with views to die for, an excellent sauna/spa area that obviates the need to leave the hotel to find a therme, and an outstanding staff. The hotel is well equipped to be a home base for hiking and roaming (there was a day pack in my room for my use during my stay), and then to help you sink into a happy state of bliss with the spa or a massage, a swim in an indoor or outdoor pool, or just lying about lazing the day away and taking in the Alps. So yeah, high score!

« Lovely hotel - refurbished rooms still need tweaking »

We stayed as part of a walking holiday. Ramsau is a centre for this and the hotel is a great oasis. It was 28degrees when we stayed and the pool was a welcome and refreshing way to cool down after a long hike (yes, I did shower first). We stayed in a newly refurbished block and the rooms are beautiful. One or two teethign problems, though: 1/ the Tablet (IPAD) that provided information on all facilities in the hotel was not working --an IT issue. Though we reported this it had not been dealt with by the time we left. 2/ There was no fridge/mini bar as the ones fitted in the refurb were the wrong size, I am not a mini-bar person, but when it's 20 degrees at night you do miss somewhere you can cool down your bottled water. The buffet style meal at night was more than adequate with lots of choice, but there is a la carte of you want it. As hikers who were walking 25k per day, we had absolutely no complaints and the courtesy lunch buffet and cakes were a big temptation. But the hotel does need to get it's IT issues sorted and the fridges fitted to avoid niggles. Like others here, I think that if it was privately owned as opposed to a Best Western, these issues may well have been sorted earlier. IMHO.

« Excellent for hikes and scenery »

Ramsau is just a tiny village so the hotel will have to supply most needs. Beautiful large room overlooking the mountains with a large private balcony. Modern bathroom and good shower. Outside unheated swimming pool. The evening buffet was good with different themes i.e. Bavarian one night Italian another night. The restaurant has an upstairs sectionalise a mezzanine where you can see the buffet section below. We were asked to use the same table every night so ask for a downstairs table if stairs are a problem as you go up and down for your food. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice ,also a nice selection of teas. Large carpark in hotel grounds. Free WIFI. There are lots of marked trails -some starting from the hotel.

« Great Hotel in Great Location »

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in May. The location of the hotel is excellent, and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The weather was a little chilly during our stay, so the saunas were used frequently and were very relaxing. The Bavarian dinner buffet and breakfast were delicious - the duck in the buffet was really very good. My only complaint (and reason for 4 stars instead of 5) was the Italian dinner buffet served our second night. The food was really awful, and both my husband and I wished we had not dined at the hotel that night.

« Very nice hotel in fantastic nature »

We stayed in this Hotel two nights enjoying the outdoor pool in zhe morning and the fantastic breakfast. We were also lucky to participate in the buffet, a typical bavarian buffet with duck and dumplings. Just fantatic the kitchen. Very nice bar as well with brilliant staff. Rooms decorated very stylish. Very strong recommendation!

« Perfect for hiking and relaxing »

Stayed for 4 nights this time (returning guests) in a Königskerze. This time the room had views towards the reception. The room was a little bit tucked away and had a cosy fireplace which was nice, but I prefer the rooms facing the outdoor pool because of the panorama views. As always the staff was super attentive, but not overwhelming. Special thanks to Uta who served us at lunch and dinner! The hiking is spectacular. I really love the fact that the experience starts as soon as you exit the hotel and you have access to several trails without ever having to use a car. We walked to Hintersee and then hiked to Halsalm and the scenery up there was amazing. Good job Rehlegg! We will definitly return!

« Beautiful in the Alps. »

4 nights in the German/Austrian Alps absolutely breathtaking. We stayed at the Best Western Berghotel in Berchtesgaden and we would have to say that it was the nicest Bestwestern we have ever been to. The staff bar none were outstanding bar none. The accommodation was beautiful and the all inclusive meal package was excellent. Great facility in a beautiful setting in the mountains.

    « Super hotel experience! »

Excellent location, never had such a view before! Great food and friendly staff. If you rent a car, you can explore cities and towns nearby. It is all I wanted for my winter wonder holiday. Will be going back for sure.

    « Understated bliss »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Berghotel Rehlegg in Autumn. The room, meals, staff and facilities were excellent. The location made it perfect for early Autumn walks and the spa facilities ensured a relaxing and indulgent stay.

    « Nice & relaxing »

We liked this hotel mostly because of the room. Very nice specious room with comfortable bed and balcony with nice view. A jar of water plus tea and cake as arrival present was a very nice touch. The spa was nice. Some saunas and a pool with a bit cold water but not too bad.if your walking in the hotel corridors it might be a long walk from your room to the spa or the dining room(we took a shortcut from the outside). The only minus is the food. The breakfast buffet was ok but i really didn't like the food at dinner. The Italian was ok but the german night wasn't my taste. A nice touch is the fact that every evening you sit at the same table so you don't have to hurry worrying of a free table. We saw the cakes buffet but didn't try it. It looked simple with a few choices. The staff was polite but not smily .if it was just for the room i would give 5 points but i was expecting more from the food. Still-i would love to return and its a good value for money. By the way-at the beginning i booked directly from the hotel but then i found that on the best western site it was cheaper. I send the hotel mail asking for the new rate but they didn't gave me that so i made a new order throw best western and then canceled my direct booking. So do check prices on both sites.

« Very nice hotel with unfortunate shortcomings »

Very nice hotel with a lot of charm and good spa facilities in convenient and beautiful location. Regrettably, contrary to expectations, average dining. More importantly, unfortunately, in serious need of service improvement and attitude adjustment. Perhaps catering mainly to local visitors. A challenge for non-German speakers, as nearly everything, from services brochures to spa facilities explanations and instructions seems to be available exclusively in German. The hotel is in many ways a lovely establishment and has a lot of potential. It is a real pity that it currently does not realize this potential, until it benefits from a serious revisiting of its approach to professionalism and client service.

« Nice hotel with corporate management issues »

The hotel is overall nice and perfectly located overlooking the valley. Rooms and common areas (including pools) are very well maintained. Two issues I would like to warn about: (i) dinner was a big disappointment for me because it was served in the form of buffet only which is for the hotel of this ranking and pricing unacceptable which drives the quality of the food served to level of ?OK? (for foodies ? please do not even think about this place); (ii) being there in the first week of August 2016 I was surprised how dead the place can be in the evening. I went to the bar twice in a week time and there was really no one after 21.00 so do not expect any evening fun in this place. To sum up the hotel is nice but it is very much visible that it is not owner driven but management driven place which takes away a lot of charm to the place.

« Superb stay in every way »

My husband and I stayed here for a 3 night break, on a half board basis, to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. (Our trip was in August, so apologises for the late review!). From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted very warmly. Guests are welcomed with either a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice in the reception area - which is a nice touch after a long journey! Our room was upgraded there and then- to a superior room in the newest hotel wing, and was a wonderful surprise. Our room was on the ground floor with it's own private terrace, directly over looking the swimming pool and stunning mountain scenery - definitely had the WOW factor! The two tier restaurant has a very traditional Austrian feel and look - and our first evening meal, was complimented by a traditional Tyrolean music quartet which was just the icing on the cake to a perfect evening. The restaurant is buffet service, with a good choice of starters, mains and puddings, although vegetarian choice is limited, as the food is more traditional meat based (we did enjoy a fish course starter on two of the evenings). All the hotel staff were wonderful and the service was so efficient during our stay. Many of the staff were English speaking, although my husband enjoyed practising his pigeon German! After dinner, we enjoyed venturing out of the hotel, where we heard live music being played in a bar, just a short distance from the hotel, where we were treated once more to a traditional Tyrolean music and dancing evening outside in the warm evening. The hotel provided us both with a free travel pass, enabling us to use the local bus service that took us back and forth into Berchtesgaden town itself. Unlike in the UK, the bus service is extremely efficient, running to the exact minute - and a very handy service to have, rather than having to pay for cabs. Overall, we had a fantastic stay - and we are already planning to return next summer.

« Germany not as good as Austria »

I wish the girls helped in English more... the hotel seemed geared toward their German tourists difference was stark because i just came from Austria... where it was soooo different... i left Ramsau... and dashed back to Austria... no muslims... no weirdness .. sorry I am a DEPLORABLE

    « beautiful alpine resort »

The perfect location near the top tourist attractions of kongsee and many alpine walking tracks. Friendly staffs and helpful . Good value dinner buffet for 29€. Walking distance to the top photo spot for the Alpine postcard

    « Worst meal »

I booked half board, but it's the worst meal I ever had in my traveling history. People are friendly, the welcome drink is lovely but snack served without much choice and you pay much more expensive beverage for it, it's costly at the end.

« Very German in excellence »

The location is good with elevated views of village with a surround of mountains. This was an 'over night' stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The initial booking-in was accompanied with a complimentary glass of wine to be enjoyed on the terrace. Reception staff speak English but few others do but are helpful. We had a superior double with a very comfortable bed and typically modern German bathroom all very clean with bags of sweets in room. Flower lined balcony with chairs. The half-board rate meant that we had an evening meal which can best be described as 'typical' German carvery. All sorts of meat ( Duck, Pork, Veal etc) but no so good for our normal choice of mainly Fish which was not in evidence. Help yourself to additions eg. dumplings, sauerkraut, red cabbage etc. Various deserts. Breakfast was in typical German / Bavarian decorated room with a very wide choice of the usual meats, cheese, breads, juices etc.and was very good. The car park is on ground about 100 metres from hotel and can get busy. Hotel is slightly up hill. You are not encouraged (but not forbidden) to drive up to reception to off load and then find a space. A very enjoyable stay

« Can't be any better - coming back here again »

We stayed for 4 nights here at the end of July. Stayed in a upper floor superior room in the new wing with a balcony and a view of heaven! Excellent and helpful staff, super service and food. Will have to be back here again. Great location for exploring Berchtesgaden and surrounding areas. Having a rental car here is a great idea, but there are bus connections to B'gaden and the hotel apparently offers a shuttle. Great location for a hiking base.

« The superior rooms provide fantastic accomodation »

Stayed for 3 nights half board in a superior room in the new block overlooking the outdoor pool. It certainly was worth paying the extra. The room was spacious with an amazing bathroom which included separate toilet and shower rooms within the room with a large bath. The room had a separate lounge area which opened onto a large balcony with spectacular views over the valley and mountains. It was very hot during our stay so did not use the spa facilities but instead the lovely outdoor pool. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to have most meals on the terrace which again had great views. Breakfast provided a great selection of quality food. The evening buffet had an emphasis on meat so vegetarians may struggle a little. A bonus were the lunch and afternoon tea snacks which were appreciated after long hikes. To get the most from the hotel as a base for visiting local site/hikes a car is essential.

    « Stunning view »

The location is the best and of course the views are stunning. Refreshing the inner soul..... The feel of this place is great.... The breakfast was nice. The evening buffet was even better. The service is good and rooms are very clean, spacious, nice ambience...

« "Drape a towel round and worrying overhangs." »

Berghotel Rehlegg A central place to stay with lots of forest trails to hike. The area has stunning scenery. The food is excellent and the evening buffet is worth having. If you like saunas then this is the place to stay. There is a pine sauna where the floor is spread with aromatic pine needles. The German and Austrian saunas are mixed and totally nude but you can get round this by pretending to be a Roman and drape a towel round and worrying overhangs. The rooms are bright clean with good views of the mountains. Not far away is Eagle's Lair, although this is closed in winter.

« Great service, ambience, food and fantastic views! »

This Hotel is a luxurious home away from home. The Staff will help zou with every wish or question, The rooms are spacious, the new welness area is great, with a beautifull pool area with view on the mountains. And let"s not forget the food! The different buffet themes offer a great variety of local specialties and all time classics which prove the qualities of the kitchen brigade. A perfect stay to enjoy the beautifull area!

« Oasis in Berchtesgarden area! Wonderful hotel, attentive staff »

Stayed in this hotel back in March with my family. Hotel is located higher in the mountains and the view from the hotel is beautiful overlooking mountains, blue sky and a small river. Rooms are excellent. We stayed in Junior Suite, which has a solid size and incorporates bedroom and living room with big comfortable sofa. Room is nicely decorated, same as terrace with wonderful view and two sunbeds. Hotel has two pools: an outdoor heated pool, where you can also swim during spring and an indoor pool within the SPA area. SPA area is situated on the second floor and has panoramic windows overlooking mountains. We had a HB booked and both breakfast and dinner were excellent with great variety of dishes offered for every taste. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Free outdoor parking. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay unforgettable! Highly recommended hotel!

« Get off the grid »

Great hotel to visit for couples and families. Exceptional facilities and comfortable rooms to rest in after hiking your legs off. Numerous trails surround the hotel from easy strolls to mountain assaults! Excellent restaurant serving locally sourced produce. Buffet style meals on an evening couldn't be further from your usual buffet standard. Meals here are prepared with care. Cosy bar to sit in of an evening and have a beer or three! Would love to come back in summer and see the hotel in summer colours! We'll done to all the staff for making our trip so memorable. You've been great! :-)

    « Perfect! »

Coming from the United States, this's hotel epitomized what I thought Germany would be. The hotel was just lovely and well maintained and everyone there was friendly and very helpful. The food was also very good...simple but delicious. The best part was being able to sit by the indoor pool and watch the snow coming down on the mountains while skiers skied past. I cannot say enough about our stay, except that it was perfect. The only drawback was the wifi connection. It worked very sporadically. But the accommodations and the staff made up for that minor inconvenience.

    « Top Notch accomodations »

I booked a small and comfortable unit with full board and I thought it was great value. Room was nicely appointed with a functional heated towel rack. They have a nice pool, Spa, Sauna and wellness Center as well as other optional extras, such as a Back pack you can rent for hikes. They also give you a discount card for attractions and parking in the area. Breakfast buffet (with cooked Eggs) was amazing, as was the Supper buffet. Afternoon Cake was offered with salads and sandwiches as well as Coffee and other beverages available to order. This was probably the nicest place I stayed during a month long tour of Europe.

    « Heavenly! »

I love this place. I´ve been here twice and can´t wait to go back. Both times we stayed in a room I believe they call studio Sonnenrosen. The room itself is beautiful with nice wooden furnitures and lots of space and the bathroom is exceptionally good with both a separate shower and a bath. But the highlight is the large balcony with views to die for overlooking the mountains and the village and the sounds of the river and bells from the sheeps walking in the fields. Breakfast is nice with a good selection of everything you need. Eggs are ordered by the table in any style you like. The dinner that was included in our rate was extremely good. More 5 course than buffey. I like that they use local produce. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone that likes to relax in beautiful surroundings.

    « Delicious food! »

We stayed nearby but ate dinner twice at their restaurant. The first night we ate the buffet which cost around 30euros each but had high quality, fresh and delicious options. The other night we ordered off the menu. These were the two best meals of our trip. The service was welcoming and excellent. Friendly staff.

« OK for a mid range hotel »

The hotel is large and gets parties of all sizes and is more suitable for parties than couples. The room was fine and had all the required facilities although the bathroom was very small. The package that we landed up on named the Schnuppertage involved having two dinners, one a buffet which was more like a boarding school atmosphere very noisy and pile it high! so we decided to go a la carte that evening which meant eating in a separate section of the hotel reserved for a la carte guests. The food was was edible but expensive for what it was, the following night we were again in the separate section of the restaurant which was meant to be a seasonable four course menu. There was no choice and the main course was steak which I cannot eat any mature beef and my wife also did not want beef as she had that the night before. The maitre d was less than pleased and clearly expressed this by charging out of the alcove we were seated in and in a loud voice saying something in German about the English and then proceeded to bang himself into a wooden bench. Later another couple in the alcove who appeared to be on the same menu as us asked the maitre d why we had a different main course, the maitre d then proceeded to whisper to the other couple which made them laugh and us feel very uncomfortable. The buffet breakfast in the main restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice and cooked eggs etc available to order, the waitress's were extremely helpful. The other staff in the bar and all the waitress's were very good it's just that the maitre d lets the hotel down.

« Place to relax and chill, and enjoy good food »

On my first night, I was already thinking of coming back. The hotel has a lovely feel. As soon as you walk through the doors and step into the hotel, you feel perfectly relaxed and at home, My room was a single bed with mountain views. It was comfortable and pretty, was clean and well-presented. It has great facilities and a superb position, also a great place to have conferences and weddings. It is rare to find a hotel where all of the staff can be really really friendly, helpful, pleasant and can speak english. The staff are relaxed but attentive. It was in such a wonderful location. The main restaurant has wonderful views of the mountains, offering buffet breakfast, cakes and dinner and turn out food at such high quality. I really enjoyed my organic chicken on my first dinner night that was so moist, in right portion and taste like home cook meal prepared by my mum. Outdoor and indoor pools when the tide is out can be enjoyed by everyone. This wonderful family run hotel does not disappoint and a great value (short) break. Definitely somewhere to add in ?Places to Try? list and I'll certainly be back again.

« Excellent hotel in excellent surroundings »

Very nice location, very good hotel (where saying very good is the understatement of the year :) personnel friendly and attentive, kitchen absolutely superb: very tasty and gourmet level, good etiquette. Price of the stay is upscale, but so is the feeling and yet homely and comfortable enough. Very much satisfying! I would recommend this for corporate team event workshops as well as leisure travel, short or longer holiday stay, with friends or alone.

« Simply wonderful in all respects »

We stayed for 11 days.I wish it could have been more and have little to add to the large number of glowing reviews supplied by others. A most welcoming, comfortable hotel with excellent amenities and numerous thoughtful small touches, all in a beautiful location. The staff were all very kind and attentive (and forgiving of our appalling German!). My daughter's need for a gluten-free diet was met proactively and with imagination by the friendly restaurant staff. It would be invidious to name individuals: many thanks to you all for a great holiday. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful hotel situated in the valley surrounded by majestic mountains. Staff is friendly (German friendly) and breakfast is very good. Wi-fi is free and the rooms small but comfortable. Beautiful bar with nice fireplace makes for enjoyable atmosphere.
