« Well located, but old »

Location of this hotel is good, but it is too old - it could real use some serious refurbishing. also, the fact that this is a Best Western doesn´t mean much. They are not connected with the system and the points were never creditted to my BW Rewards account. I´ll choose a different hotel next time in Quito

    « Dark & Dated with a Great Location »

This hotel seems old... perhaps because it is? The location is great and the hotel was clean - it's just in need of a makeover and update. The staff were friendly and helpful - even going from room to room to gather up additional water for us as we checked in very late and the store was closed. The room was more than spacious - a 2 room suite where one room was an office/living room. A lot of space - but not super functional.

    « Excellent »

When we stepped in the hotel it was absolutely beautiful! Not what we were expecting from a beat western. Staff were helpful and the rooms where nice with a little sitting area and then beds separate. I would definitely stay there again

« Great location, great room, friendly reception »

Everyone we interacted with during our two night stay were friendly and helpful. Room had a large work table with three chairs - perfect for a business meeting we held with one other person. Portable heaters in both bedroom and living room and refrigerator were all convenient. Taxi stand offered standard taxi rates with friendly drivers. If you have business in the area, the location was good - across the street from a shopping mall, a short walk to huge city park. Breakfast was included in my room rate and was good.

« Way past its prime, but still a good choice/location »

The location is the most important feature of this hotel, which kind of got stuck in the 80s when it comes to decor, ambience. It is still a good choice for 1 or 2 nights Just ask for a room not facing either of the two main avenues to reduce noise impact. Rates are attractive

« The worst reception ever »

The worst reception ever. Hotel was perfectly located nice and comfortable rooms nice breakfast .Only the gentleman who was working in reception was terrible extremly rude . I have never seen such a rude staff in my life. One single person sometimes could change your opinion

    « Good hotel »

The location is good, but a little bit far of the center. There is a good mall (Quicentro) in front of the hotel. The only bad thing is the breakfast (which when I bought in Expedia mentioned that the breakfast was included) that we need to pay USD 12 - a lot for a breakfast that do not offer a food for this price... and as it opens at 6am it was the only option I had. The other bad thing was that I sent some clothes to the laundry and when they sent the clothes back to the room I should pay at this time (so, you need to have cash all the time for everything). Besides this, the restaurant at night is a very good option, overall the service is good and the people were lovely with me.

    « Mmm... »

I chose this hotel because I had stayed in other Best Western hotels and felt like it would be a good choice, however it was just ok. Yes, it did have wifi and all the amenities, but the place was old. The decoration and infrastructure was old and everything worked slow. (except the elevators, fastest ever) The breakfast was not included, and it didn't offer basic things. The staff was a bit slow to bring things out and one even told me that because it was a festive day there wasn't any orange juice left because people didn't work during the HUH?? Besides that, we were a group of 3,(parents and daughter) and we had booked a double bedroom, but when we got the room the beds were super small, 2 could barely fit in one, and when we asked for extra beddings for the sofa bed there was they said it was impossible because it wasn't included in the fare. To that we answered that the 3 of us could not fit properly in the room due to the beds, but the resolved that the next day. (so one night we slept like we were in a tuna can) The location was pretty good, next to a mall and to 2 main avenues, but there was a lot of noise during the night and especially during the early morning. The staff was pretty helpful but they worked slowly, I want to believe it was because of the systems the used and not because of them.

« Great Location - But LOTS of Urban Noise and a Nightclub - Take Earplugs! »

This is a nice hotel in a great location in Quito. It's right across the street from Quicentro, a major shopping mall in Quito and it's also right across the street from the start of the hop on / hop off Quito Bus tour. We stayed at this hotel because the location was perfect for us, it was two blocks away from where our daughter was spending her semester abroad. We stayed at the hotel in Mid October 2017. We arrived late (1:00AM) on a Thursday night (Friday morning), and stayed on the third floor. Much to our surprise, there was very loud music to be heard when we arrived and were trying to fall asleep. Friday night was also very noisy. Saturday and Sunday night were not as noisy, but it appeared that there was a wedding reception or something going on in the banquet facilities. The hotel has large banquet facilities. In the morning, the traffic noise is fairly loud. To be fair, our home is in a very quiet neighborhood and we are not at all used to traffic noise. Other than the noise, the hotel was great. Service was good. KEY TIPS: 1. The hotel charges a 10% service charge - so no need to tip the staff. They will willingly accept and appreciate it, but we were surprised to find a 10% service charge on our bill when we checked out. This is a fairly common practice in Quito restaurants, but we were surprised to also find it on our hotel bill and were not informed of it when we checked in and tipped throughout unaware of the service charge. 2. The concierge may offer to get you a "safe taxi". If you are comfortable riding the local taxis, absolutely no need to take him up on his offer. Go outside the hotel and get in a taxi. The premium for a safe taxi on our one trip was 50%. Mind you taxi fares in Quito are extremely reasonable so, it's not that much more. In fact, Quito is the only city I've been to where taxi fares are usually less than the cost of a drink! Really, no excuse to drink and drive.

« Huge Rooms great location »

I stayed here September 2017 while assisting tattoo artist and actors who attended the Ecuador Tattoo Convention that also took place at this location. I was extremely happy with the suite size rooms! Included was a wet bar, sitting area with couch, Jacuzzi tub, huge walkin closet as well. The hotel is centrally located so if sensitive bring your ear plugs. But DO take advantage of the huge mall right across the street and excellent restaurants all around. There is an awesome park right across the street as well! I felt extremely safe in this downtown city where many people are seen coming and going from jobs and happy hour. The hotel played awesome throw back music in the lobby and had gorgeous rose bouquets all around too. Food was also exceptional! really a great pleasure staying here. something to note ... Ecuador is very high above sea level. I absolutely noticed it in my breathing. Pick up some liquid oxygen to add to your water! It helps.

    « Not Happy »

I felt the hotel was overall not a good deal. The gymnasium did not have treadmills that worked properly. The jacuzzi and sauna were not working in the gymnasium. I thought breakfast was included but was told I had to pay extra for it. When I tried to check out after paying in full at check in I was harassed and told to pay an extra 57.00 for no reason.

« Great Place to Stay in Quito »

Excelente hotel con un magnífico servicio. Great Hotel, excellent service. This a very well located hotel with good amenities and very well trained personnel at a good price. Hotel muy bien ubicado en Quito con magníficas instalaciones y a muy buen precio. Personal educado y bien entrenado.

« Excellent Hotel near a large mall »

The hotel was very clean and spacious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is across the street from Quicentro Mall, so there were several options for shopping, food, and snacks. Overall a great experience.

« The worst internet experience that I have experienced »

Actually I lived in this hotel for 4 times in the past 4 years, and I never saw any progress. The hotel building is old,the same as the facility. But this time, the internet really disappointed me a lot. I cannot even work with my computer, and always disconnected with my celphone. The bed also not comfotable. I reserved for two days, but I only lived one day. My room was 711 that day. Farewell, never see you again,I swear.

« Very Noisy, nice location. »

The hotel is nice enough, and is in a good location, but it is VERY noisy at night. There is a club in the hotel that starts music around 8 pm and keeps going until well after midnight. The music started again around 9 am. My room was on the 4th floor and I slept with earplugs. Still, I could feel the pounding of bass while in bed. My advice would be to ask in advance about the club schedule and be wary if you plan to get a good nights sleep.

« Nice hotel, good location »

Nice hotel, on a good location, opposite shopping centre and near Carolina Park, but on busy road which is very noisy and difficult to cross. My room was comfortable and had temperature control but my colleague on a different room could not control temperature and was not comfortable.

    « Regretfully can't give a higher rating »

The staff was friendly and the rooms were pretty clean. Unfortunately, this place is not worth the price, especially since management prioritizes the business of parties and banquets over those of guests paying to sleep in their hotel. We had booked through a travel agent and couldn't change our reservation so we spent a total of 4 nights there. The first was fine, as it was a Thursday. On Friday night, we were in a room that was comically loud. There was a wedding in the building that sounded like it was in the room next door. Even with earplugs in and a pillow over my head, I could still hear the bass in the music until 2 am. The bed was vibrating from the volume of the music in the room. We were exhausted and didn't want to pack up and move in the middle of the night, so we dealt with it. The next morning we complained and the staff moved us to a room which they assured would be quiet. Much to our surprise, it was. Had we been in the quieter room the whole time, I would have rated the hotel higher overall. It wasn't the staff's fault (it seemed like they understood the issues and had heard all the complaints before). Management clearly needs to rethink its vision and either soundproof the banquet rooms and guest rooms or not book guests into the loud rooms on nights they know they have an event scheduled.

« Dated, very hot rooms, overpriced »

We stayed in a suite on the 6th floor where we had a great view and lots of space. It was great that check out is at 2PM. The staff were kind and friendly. The decor contains lots of wood and it was very dark and dated. Our room was very hot and we could not cool it down. The pillows were too high. The shower temperature was either very hot or cold. One of the reasons why we booked this hotel was for the gym facilities but unfortunately the equipment was not working. The hotel is located opposite Carolina Park and a shopping mall but generally the area lacked character. A public taxi to La Plaza Foche in La Mariscal was less than USD 2. We didn't like that the driver in the hotel quoted us USD 5. The hotel is opposite the bus stop number 1 for the hop on hop off Quito bus tour which was handy. Breakfast was not included in the stay. On the first day we paid USD 7 per person to eat their buffet breakfast but the quality was very poor and not fresh. I recommend you buy breakfast from the shopping mall opposite the hotel. Overall we felt that it was an overpriced hotel for what we got.

    « Perfect hotel & Perfect Location »

There are no words to express what a great hotel this is! Location, service and rooms are impeccable. Staff very helpful from Bell boy to Front desk manager. Free coffee and water in the room along with snacks for purchase totally recommend it as location is perfect across form Quicentro major mall with even a supermarket to buy local items. totally recommend it.. thank you again!!!! Pekele Bejarano Santa Barbara California

    « Great location »

The hotel is directly across the street from Quicentro, a major shopping mall with a fine food court and many good shops. At one shop, I purchased 15 memory cards for my camera at a very good price. I needed and used all of them during my 30-day stay in the country. Ecuador limits the number you can bring into the country to 6 unless you pay a tax. There is also a grocery store at the mall, which allowed me to follow my special diet. I was happy my room had a minibar. The hotel is also across the street from La Carolina Park, a fine place to walk and watch the pickup soccer games and to visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens. From my hotel room, I had a lovely view of La Carolina Park, El Panecillo in the Old Town, and volcanos on a clear day. The hotel is generally quiet, considering all the activity close by. There is some traffic going to the Old Town Monday through Friday, but very little on the weekend. Museo Guayasamin and Guapulo are not far from the hotel.

    « trully the best »

we are caught up in a earth quake, on the coast and needed to find some place inland that was relaxing and a place to settle our nerves before returning to the U.S. Staff was outstanding in welcoming us and catered to our every need.

    « Family vacation »

Rooms were clean, televisions and cable did not work the best but internet signal strong so we could stream movies. Close to city center to visit attractions we wanted. Recommend this hotel. Skip Breakfast buffet and eat a regional breakfast from a local restaurant.

    « Very good »

Great place to stay close to man events and parks and restaurants. My wife nad I enjoyed the hotel and the many amenities avialable. The tour city bus just across the store at the park was great. We highly recommend C-Plaza Best Western.

« Nice Place, but dishonest checkout gives them a failing grade »

Good location, nice room, nice breakfast. HOWEVER, found out when I got home that they slipped in a 10% ($45!!!!) tip that I did not notice. Called a "propina" in Spanish, I did not catch it. $45 tip for what? the chambermaids? The check in staff? Rip me off once, but never again.

    « Enjoyed Our Stay »

The hotel is a little dated. However, We found it to be clean and comfortable and in a great location. We also thought the staff were friendly and very accommodating. I also thought the bed was comfortable and I slept very well. I would stay here again. The mall across the street was fantastic, the park across the street was also very convenient. May I also recommend Swiss Corner, a little pattiserie down the street that was absolutely delicious. Have a great stay! We did!

« Good location but too old »

I just spend a couple of hours in the hotel. Arrived late at night and left early in the morning. Functionally speaking the hotel is good. It has a good location, good room layout and decent breakfast (included). But it is too old. Elevators are old, bathroom clean but old style, I had trouble to turn off my bed side light (need maintenance). Price was fair. If you need to do business in the neighborhood, this might be a cost efficient option. If you are going for vacation, forget about it.

« Nice Hotel, Great Location »

This hotel is very nice and modern. We had a large corner suite with a sitting area and it was very large. The service was good as was the breakfast buffet that was offered. There is a nice and safe gated area outside for smokers.

« Great location. Very small beds. Service not up to par »

First the location, superb. Downtown Quito. 300 feet away from Quicentro (big Mall) and 300 feet away from Parque La Carolina (think Central Park on steroids). We got a suite for our family of 4. We were in Ecuador for 3 weeks and we did this in multiple hotels. The only suite we didn't like was at this Best Western. While the suite was big enough, the beds were TINY. I mean TINY. I strongly suggest you get rid of that huge desk (move it to the presidential palace where it belongs) and get bigger beds. The restaurant staff was very cooperative and accommodating. Particularly when it came to our family food allergies. The service was slow (45 min plus to get your food), but it is understandable as they cook everything fresh and from scratch. This is a reality in most of Ecuador and it's a good pro/con factor. We dealt with it fine. The hotel is always very busy. They have a casino and conferences all the time. The first night we arrived they had a 'born again' conference in the dining room. While we are always ready to hear 'the good news', it was 10 pm and the noise was excessive. We went back to our room and ordered room service. We probably wouldn't stay here in the future. The hotel is definitely not geared for families. It's more of a business conference hotel.

« Recent trip to Quito, Ecuador staying 10 days at BW. Location is excellent, next to a upscale shopping mall. Very »

Convenient for everything. Hotel staff are nice. Hotel facility looks very old and outdated. The bathtub must be more than 30?years old ! The safe deposit box in the room is from 1980 !? Need to modernize ....

« Excellent hotel, outstanding friendly staff »

The staff was super friendly and ready to go out of their way to accommodate any special requests... Thumbs up!! The room was very big and comfortable, everything went very well. Always a delicious fresh juice waiting for you at the reception. Location also excellent, next to the Parque de la Carolina, very good for running in the morning.

    « Lots of malfunctions »

Hotel was full for conference - so full, they claimed they could not change my room (preassigned, zero choice) even though safe deposit box inaccessible (antiquated key system). Colleagues had malfunctions (variously windows and bathroom doors would not close). Electronic access keys took many tries to get into rooms. Breakfast buffet was nothing special. Was stranded on service floor once when 2 waiters switched off lift to load chairs and forgot to switch on again. Disco noise penetrates all rooms. Sound insulation terrible. Good point: they did kindly provide free luggage storage.

    « Good hotel »

We liked the hotel. The shower temperature varied a bit. Location is very good and the room was very large, a suite. Food in the restaurant was very good and they had a young lady playing very nice piano music in the restaurant 2 of the 3 dinners we had. Breakfast buffets are excellent. We did not like the loud TVs in the restaurant. This is a nice restaurant and the TVs should be replaced with quiet background music in our opinion. At least turn the volume down or off. We noticed this problem a lot in South America - it is also a problem in North America but not quite so bad.

    « Excellent!!! »

Location excellent, cleanness in rooms excellent, breakfast excellent. Very friendly and professional staff. I highly recommended this hotel. The down sideis that the lobby needs a make over. Well come back to this hotel next year.

    « Bad Stay »

Walked in room and pulled on Drape cord and Drapes fell to floor. The A/C didn't work and they replaced it with one that Blew more hot Air into room than it blew cold. Asked several times in our 2 week stay for another room and never got one. Will not stay again

« Good hotel just in the center »

Hotel is OK but I am sorry to say that the restaurant wasn' t good. Very bad meet and also the service. For the breakfast I was waiting 20 minutes for 2 eggs. And for this level of hotel, in my opinion, should be more variable.

    « Not happy »

Confusion between what I read online with what I got. It said 2 rooms, 2 beds. What that means is that there is 2 beds in 1 room and the other room is for the living/dining room. Than I changed to the 2 room, 3 beds, that was worst, it was a single room with 3 beds with no divider or living/dinning room, I don't understand. The overall set up was really simple, nothing fancy. It was good, but not very good, I was expecting better. The price is better online, 1/2 the price.

    « Long ago certainly a beauty »

The Hotel has a great Location just opposite of the Shopping mall and the Carolina park and public transport is right there, too. The interior is old and the lighting is very poor, also in the rooms. Some lamps were not working at all. It certainly has not the standard of a 5 star hotel and would need a big makeover. But we had 2 suites at a very low rate and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were rather chilly as the windows were not tight and it gets cold at night. It was also rather noisy. The staff was very friendly, but the service in the restaurant was slow and also the staff offen disappears and as there were only few guests we had to wait before we could place an order. The parking lot also was often without staff, so we had to open and close the gates ourselves.

« Great service, beautiful rooms »

We stayed in different hotels during our stay in Ecuador, this was definitely the best room and the best service we got. Location is excellent! You are close to bars, restaurants, the mall is accross the street, the two floor city bus tour leaves from across the street, you can walk around La Carolina park. Great hotel! I definitely recommend it.

    « A good option »

The best part of this Best Western is the competent, profesional staff, from the front desk to the travel agent to the guys who get you a taxi. We also enjoyed the charm of this older hotel, like the chandeliers in the restaurant and the colonial-style furniture. We ordered room service one night and the food was exceptional. We felt safe, and our room had both a safe (you must ask the front desk for a lock) and an AC unit. Other reviews mention that the hotel is in need of an upgrade, and this is true. The hot water did come and go during the course of a shower- but it always came back. Our room was on the 4th floor and you could hear some street noise in the morning, but that's as to be expected when you're in the city. We paid about $100 on and, at that price, would stay again.

« Good budget hotel in Quito »

This hotel is in a great location in the centre of Quito. Good points: Great location Good breakfasts Friendly service Good price Car park Provided water in the room Not so good points: Decor/hotel and room decor/furniture is dated Shower in the room was poor

  • 3
    « needs renovation »

Great location but the hotel needs some work, it looks its age, mattress and pillows are bad...uncomfortables. room size is good, breakfast was short on personnel but food selection was very good. Price was adequate.

    « Beautiful city »

We decided to stay in Quito for a few days. Truly a beautiful city! This hotel was nice, it's not luxurious but I thought the staff was very pleasant. The room we stayed in had two double beds, big closet to fight our luggages. Great location, right across from the mall, and the mall is huge! Take advantage of the breakfast buffet in the morning, perfect way to start the day before sightseeing.

    « Great Location »

Hotel looked very Luxurious from the pictures but very outdated. Location is perfect for visiting Quito. Parque Carolina is across the street as well as a shopping center. The stadium is also a short walk. Rooms are ok and beds are small .

    « Outdated »

This must have been a very luxureous hotel, well not anymore. All you see is outdated and needs a fresh up. Restaurant food is average. Bar is empty. Staff is friendly. Location is great, near to business area and parc Carolina. Price I paid was acceptable, but I don't think I will return here

    « Quito hotel »

Large rooms we had a suite Large park, Carolina, across the street which is well utilized and has a Botanical Garden Hotel staff very gracious and helpful Breakfast buffet was not included ,but was under $10.00 and was good Taxi's are cheap approximatly $ 25 to the airport and43.00 pays for a lot of local trips

    « Greatly improved hotel. »

Professional and very courteous staff, fine service, best location, great value. Staff members went out of their way to please and fulfill our requests, we would also recommend eating at their restaurant the food was great and better than in other places.

« Very Luxurious for a great price »

I stayed in the Quito Best Western Crown Plaza on April 22-25, 2016. I was given a 3(1/2) room suite with an entryway that had a fridge, coffee maker, walk in closet, a bedroom with a king sized bed and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and shower and a living room with a couch, chairs, and work desk. My room was number 410 but because of the odd way the floors are numbered I think I was actually on about the 7th floor. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfortable. The view overlooks the city and you can see some of the construction going on. There was free wifi in the whole hotel including the room. It was strong and constant the whole time I was there. The hotel is just across from a major park and is very close to a ton of restaurants and bars. It is directly across from a mall of some kind and is centrally located in the city. The lobby of the hotel looks like a European castle. All wood paneling and chandeliers. It is simply beautiful. The staff was fantastic. I especially enjoyed speaking to Andre Romero. Andre is a ball of energy who spoke perfect English. She was always flashing a brilliant smile and gave me a ton of good suggestions about what to see and where to go. Definitely the high light of an already very good stay. I booked the hotel on and paid $323.00 for 3 nights. That price did NOT include breakfast which they said would be $9.00 a day. When I checked in the posted rack room rate was well above $200 a night so I think the booking was a good deal and would suggest seriously considering looking at the TripAdvisor rate.

    « Comfort in a great location »

The rooms are very nice and very quiet. The location is in front of a shopping center where you can find just about anything. The WIFI works fine. There is a very nice welcome drink the hotel offers its guests. For breakfast there is the option of a buffet or a la carte.

« This Is a Qenuine Enjoyable Place »

We chose this hotel because of its good location in Quito. Traffic in Quito can be challenging so the closer you can be to things the better. We found the decor very pleasing with warm rich colors and surfaces. This hotel was very quiet. We had no noise issues and a very pleasant environmemnt. The staff was tremendous and helpful. A Real Issue in Quito! Quito is over 9,300 feet in the ar. After about one day, my wife and I developed severe altitude sickness. It is a miserable feeling of unsteadiness and dizziness. The worst is the inability to sleep and anxiety. It is supposed to improve after 2-3 days.Oursnever did so we left Quito

« Bad experience. Too old. »

The toilet in the room is not working, this problem is really annoying. In general this hotel is too old. The buffet breakfast doesn't offer a good variety of food. The room is not well ventilated. The good thing about this hotel is the location.

« Good Hotel in very good location »

We stayed in this hotel for 6 weeks on a work assignment in Quito. The room (708, corner room) was very big with a separate bedroom. It looks like a one bedroom apartment! Comfortable couch in the living room and big desk to work on. Location is great across from the park and the shopping mall. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our room safe wasn't working and they installed a new one on the same day. We didn't use the break fast buffet but people told us it was good. The air freshener spray other reviewers talk about is located only in the elevators. They installed air freshness that automatically dose. In a small elevator, the smell is very in your face and causes discomfort. Hold your breath!! Housekeeping was good. Nice people and detailed cleaning. (Don't forget to leave a tip on the bed!) Small bathroom but with great shower. The (jacuzzi)i bath is useless. Comfortable bed. WiFi was free and working well. (on occasion it stopped working but it always got back after a while) Good enough to watch Netflix or streaming video. There is one very negative issue at this hotel: what ever you do: DO NOT ORDER ROOM SERVICE!!! We used it once and it was DISGUSTING!! Fries soaking in oil and still raw. The grilled chicken was chewy at best. We only ate the salad and put the rest in the trash bin. I should have asked my money back but didn't want to start a shouting match at the front desk. After sharing my experience with my co-workers, they all had similar stories. I saw even someone in the elevator coming down with his plate of (disgusting) food to complain at the front desk. My advice: don't order room service; go to the little restaurants out side or the terraces at the shopping mall. (see my other reviews) Other than that, the hotel is a good choice.

    « Loud, Loud, Loud »

Spent the night here in transit. All I could hear and feel was the music from the attached night club until after 1. Then more music and dancing started in the salon above my room in the 9th floor until 3am. Swear they were all jumping around. Front desk would do noting. Its 3:30 am, wide awake. Have to leave for the airport in 2 hours. If you want a hotel that provides rooms you can SLEEP in, go the the Hilton.

    « A very good stay.... »

I stayed here for 10 days with a large group in July 2015. Overall, the hotel is very, very good. The staff was very friendly and willing to help - always. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms were cleaned well, and early in the morning. I didn't experience the hotel restaurant, as we did a group meal every breakfast and dinner, down in the banquet area. Food was good! Service was good! This is an older property, that has been kept up fairly well. There is a major (yes, major) mall directly across the street! Taxis were readily available whenever needed. And taxis are not expensive! You will get a good opportunity to practice your Spanish! Although most at the front desk were fluent (enough) in English. ;) This Best Western is a good choice.

« Terrible Hotel All Around! »

We stayed at several hotels during our stay in Ecuador, ranging from local bed and breakfast to five star hotels, and this hotel was by far the worst! Everything from the front desk staff, quality of food, to the gym amenities were terrible. Examples: 1) The front desk staff spoke very little english and was not friendly. We were there over three days, so it was not a case of one staff member. It was several people. Regarding the english, when staying at the bed and breakfast I was not expecting any english, but when staying at a "BW Premier Property" I expect to be able to communicate with the front desk when ordering a taxi. 2) We reserved a room for three with a king bed and a pull out sofa and paid $40 extra for the third person. There weren't any sheets for the pull out sofa. We had a second room and checked in that room too, but there still weren't any sheets. Over the duration of an hour and a half, we called down to the front desk/housekeeping several times and went in person to front desk to ask for sheets. 3) We went to dinner at the main restaurant we ordered hamburgers, a steak and chicken burritos. After waiting over 45 minutes for the food, the chicken burritos were good, but hamburgers and steak were very over cooked and barely edible. 4) The gym had several machines, but at least half did not work properly.

« stop over in Quito from Galapagos »

I usually stop over in Guayaquil on my way back from the islands, so staying up in Quito was a new stop for me. Imagine my surprise when the taxi took us and all of our surf gear all the way to the Plaza. i was well worth the drive; the penthouse restaurant was excellent and the wrap around view was breathtaking. they served these little seafood empanadas for appitizers you really should try and the rest of the meal was great from there. the wine list was comparable to California and the desserts were great. the servers throughout the hotel were very gracious and did not hesitate to assist with our bulky surfboards.

    « Good option »

This american chain hotel is well located, in a safe and nice area. It is big and pleasant. My room was BIG, with a very beautiful view, Very confortable and clean. I had two problems: Employees walk around with an air freshener bottle spraying everything and everywhere, several times a day. Perfect recipe for a migraine. Really awful. The food is not great. it is not fresh, they warm up pre-cooked dishes with very little taste. The presentation lacks style. It is a shame. So I would stay there again but eat elsewhere, this time it wasn't possible I was there for work.

    « Defintely a Best Value Hotel »

My Fiancee ad I spent 4 days at the Quito Best Western from 24 to 28 December 2014 and our stay was fabulous! The hotel is impeccable, the service is friendly, and very customer centric. They go way out of their way to make you feel comfortable. When we trying to figure out how best to get to the mountain Cotopaxi and also Media de Mundo the front desk provided us excellent referrals for transportation that was reliable, reasonably priced and friendly. The food at the hotel resturant is very nice and the food is excellent. Great location, excellent service, very clean rooms and great price- this was a perfect stay for us in Quito-definetly will stay here when we return to visit Ecuador!
