« Very nice and clean hotel »

Convenient location on main street of town, clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very helpful too. Dinner in hotel restaurant wasn't great. Didn't try breakfast. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. AC unit was very loud but necessary.

    « Inviting Staff »

This hotel was very nice and very clean. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat because everyone from the front desk associate to the bar maid in the lounge was very nice and personable. The location was great because we were close to a variety of places to eat

    « Very good stay »

I hadn't stayed at this property before but thought I'd give it a try. Just north of the downtown core. Lots of stores and restaurants within any easy walk. Also a grocery store across the street. Older hotel which has been updated. Lots of adjacent room noise. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very good beds and pillows. Nice staff. No included breakfast but a 10% discount voucher to the attached restaurant. A great bakery across that also serves coffee as an option. Great staff in both the hotel and restaurant. Very nice place too stay.

« Visit to Quesnel to visit family »

Excellent location for our purpose with a friendly staff attentive to our needs. Next to a grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, and all the expected amenities of a B.C. small town. We have stayed here multiple times and experienced consistent quality at a reasonable price.

    « Old but clean »

Welcoming staff, clean and central location. First Best Western we stayed in that did not include breakfast, and rate direct at hotel was 20% higher than on a third party booking site. Breakfast included a gluten free option.

« Not Pet Friendly...if you have a pet, look elsewhere »

This typical BW advertises itself as pet friendly. In fact they have 1 pet room and once that is booked, no more pet friendliness. We suggest you look else where to other pet friendly places. On suggesting we look for other hotels in town, the night clerk cheerfully informed us that we would be billed for the room anyway. Our daughter slept in the parking lot with her dog. Thank you BW.

    « Best Western Quesnel »

We have often stayed at this hotel because of the friendly staff and good value at reasonable prices. However, it is getting time for this hotel to be updated, particularly in the bathrooms. Modern toilets would help.

    « Great Night's Sleep »

We were pre booked as part of our Rocky Mountaineer tour. They met us at the train to issue keys which was very helpful. The rooms were clean, it was quiet, the staff were super nice and very accommodating. We arrived after dark and left before sun up so I can't say much about the exterior or surrounding area, but although the accommodations are moderate, we were very pleased!

« Stop over on our way to Jasper »

Booked in by the Rocky Mountaineer into the Best Western in Quesnel and the hotel is quite modest, but clean and provided a good night's sleep. Everything was pretty basic but then we were not doing any activities in the town and served as an overnight accommodation only.

    « A bit disappointed »

We have stayed at quite a few Best Western Plus during our road trip. Found this one to be okay. Room was clean, large with comfortable bed. We were surprised to find a piece of disabled equipment in our bathroom. We planned on eating at the restaurant/bar only to find it was closed. Also we thought breakfast was included (which it had been at the other Best Westerns. They did offer a 10% off voucher for the restaurant. On the bright side the staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of things to do.

« Largest Room Ever in our Experience »

This hotel is old but located in the centre of Quesnel. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and most helpful. Although their restaurant is not open in the evening others are just down the street. We ate at Savalas steakhouse which was very good.

    « Adequate for a good night's sleep »

We only stayed one night but hotel is more like a motel. Get there early we were delayed by a visit to the local hospital and the place was closed by 11 o'clock except for a Subway down the block. Rooms were reasonable for this class of hotel and staff were friendly.

    « Only a very brief stay »

We spent one night here, leaving before breakfast. We had a restful night. The bed was good ,in a quiet room with both airconditioning and opening windows. There was adequate storage and good lighting.Coffee maker, kettle, fridge and safe were present and correct. The bathroom was of a normal type ,with bathtub. The ventilation fan was good ,and there was a dry shelf. The only particular defect was the lack of a toilet brush.. We had a simple but satisfactory dinner in the hotel restaurant.

« In the heart of the city »

Always enjoy this hotel as the location and nearby amenities make it easy to stay here. Close to the river walk and downtown shopping if you are so inclined. Rooms well appointed and BW beds are hard to beat.

« clean but some areas need refurbishment »

We had a one stay arranged by a tour company. The hotel was clean, but some areas could use refurbishment. Our room was clean. The furniture was somewhat dated in style, but still in good shape. There was a flat screen television with a good selection of channels. A nice touch was labels on some light switches to save one from the trial and error exercise. The bathroom had a large counter and the shower-tub combo had a curved shower rod for more space. The internet worked well. The A/C and heater wall unit was noisy, as they usually are.

« Stayed here for 6 weeks. Would do it again. »

6 weeks of work in the Quesnel area and I was lucky enough to get a room here. Comfortable, quiet and clean. All downtown amenities are very short walking distance. Front desk staff very helpful at with our ever evolving schedule to make sure we always had a place to stay.

    « Decent »

Beds are hard but clean and friendly. Would stay again for work or play, great location, walking distance to everything we need as a family. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Will be back next time we are through.I am

« Uncaring and Robot Staff »

Two things I hate about staying at hotels 1) getting to your room and keys not working and 2) housekeeping staff that throw out stuff they shouldn't. The second of which is probably the most disconcerting. That's what happened here. When mentioned to FRONT DESK staff immediately after finding out they really didn't care and REALLY dismissed my concern - which to me REALLY was a concern. Restaurant staff aren't that professional and breakfast prices - WOW! The parking lot lights also go on and off on sensors - difficult to unload vehicles in the dark.

« what we thought of hotel! »

everything was excellent, have stayed there before and will do so again. have no complaints, everything good. we have family working there and it was nice to see them and they seem to be happy working there. easy access to hotel and to rooms and quick access to surrounding stores and banks, etc. being central we enjoy staying there, we have family in Quesnel but still like to stay in some of the hotels, the Best Western, Tower Inn, being one of them..

« They have to stop here! »

The train stops here I guess because it can't go any further in one day. That said this hotel was O.K. The people were very friendly; and although the hotel was a bit basic the room was clean; it had all the usual amenities and the bathroom was well stocked with towels. The shower itself was a little weak. We ate in the restaurant. The minestrone soup starter was nice but the baked swordfish main was raw rather than rare in the middle. The ice cream cake dessert was tasty but still too frozen in places. The restaurant service was fine.

    « Modest but nice »

This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Quesnel. The rooms are modestly updated and nice. The rooms on the west (front) side are a bit noisy due to traffic. You can lessen the noise by closing the window and rely on the HVAC system, but that is even noisier. Overall, a pleasant stay nevertheless.

« Not what we expected either! »

Overnighted with a group from the train tour. Friendly guy at the front desk. Old hotel and old, dated rooms. Clean as could be but carpet needed replacing. Bedding was ok. Towels were on the rough side, not so comfy to the feel. We wanted a king bed but ended up in a room cramped by two queens. The TV cable service is very basic. We couldn't leave soon enough. Not that they aren't trying, but this isn't a place we would want to stay again. Town is welcoming and friendly

« Not what we expected »

I have to say I have been to better Best Westerns. Rooms and beds are good. Ammenities....not so much. We travel on motorcycles and like to stay at hotels that have restaurants on site. They have a restaurant but are not open for dinner. And the pub on site has been shut down. Yet they still advertise pub and restaurants on website. Thank goodness for Mr. MIkes steakhouse. Pop and water machines did not work.

    « Friendly & good location »

One night stay on business again, changes since my last stay 3 years ago as lounge bar & restaurant are now closed, Was my only disappointment. I booked through no issue at all & even took my BW loyalty card details for reward. Gent on checkin was amazingly efficient & polite, corner suite was open & spacious. Iron was cheap and nasty but I've had to use worse. Wifi & TV worked well with good channel selection. Points & express check out, easy parking & Starbucks across street made me smile. Only one block off main highway makes this hotel a favourite for future journeys through this area.

« Do Not Use Expedia »

It is nice hotel in downtown Quesnel do not book this with expedia as have no idea where you are the wrong date they will book for you will be charged to your credit card for later processing on refund

    « Very Welcoming »

We had a very quick overnight stay and were a bit skeptical given that our previous night was at a Four Seasons, but it turned out to be very nice. The staff is very friendly and the rooms very clean with very nice bedding. The air conditioner was a bit loud, but I enjoy white noise while sleeping so that worked out well. This is the only hotel where the TV remote is stored in a "clean" bag. Impressive! The coffee in the lobby is strong, hot and delicious.

    « A Quick Stop »

Well located within town and easily reached from highway, premises were clean, staff friendly. A good stop at a reasonable price. Watch for Sundays and Tuesdays when guests from the Rocky Mountaineer occupy the hotel as a number of rooms are set aside for their use.

« Central Location and a great Restaurant »

The room was very comfortable, we stayed 2 nights and were very happy with the room. We ate both nights in the restaurant and the meals were excellent. I was disappointed that they didn't offer a continental breakfast. They give 10% off.

    « Best in town »

Very clean and well prepared rooms in this motel which were very comfortable, but its best feature is its service. The restaurant stayed open to serve a late arriving party, the bar staff couldn't have been friendlier or more willing to help. You just felt the whole staff were happy to see you and glad you were there. Well done!

    « Excellent »

We consistently stay at a Best Western establishment when traveling if one is available. The Tower Inn Plus in Quesnel is a prime reason for our loyalty to this chain. Excellent value, attention to details and a feeling that this is home during our stay.

« Quaint smaller Best Western »

This Best Western is not a grand hotel like in some towns but it makes up for it in style and staff attentiveness. The rooms are large and clean with flat screen tv and a large bathroom. No breakfast included but 10% off breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. I come and stay here twice a year and have never been disappointed.

« Nice Hotel in a Busy Small Town »

Dropped in here from Seattle on our way up the Alaska Highway. Nice hotel in a town dominated by a pulp mill which had a big maintenance turnaround. They were busy but the rooms were quiet, comfortable and well appointed. For less than $100 US, it was a bargain and the restaurant was good as well.

    « traveling through BC »

We stay here several times a year and it is always a great experience. rooms are always clean and in great shape. The staff is always helpful and friendly! couldn't ask for anything more. thank you!!!

« On the Road again »

Having been retired for a dozen years I decided to make a trip over part of my old territory again. It was great, saw the Caribou just as Spring breaks and it was a good trip. Cattle country and saw many new calves among the herds. Ice floes in the Fraser River and remembered many years when it would jam up and flood the lower areas. Glad I did it..

    « Great Hotel »

I stay here every 6 months or so, good parking (especially with trailer). Quiet. Never had an issue. recently renovated. I didn't like the breakfast at the restaurant (they need to review their choice of meats & pancake batter).

« Not bad place to stay for a night »

Right in downtown Quesnel, it was nice to have a restaurant in the motel. Rooms needed updating, and ours had a qtip stuck to the wall which was quite odd. Shower was wimpy. Liked the location, walking distance to the grocery store and other shops. Just could use some updating.

    « Comfy beds »

Comfy beds and very clean. Shower needs improvement. Internet was slow but didn't care we enjoyed our stay. A bit noisy but I would stay here again. Staff are nice, check in was easy. Good location. Recommend this hotel

    « Nice Hotel »

A very clean and comfortable hotel. It has a nice pub and restaurant in the building, which was good because it was minus 14c outside. Pub food reasonable prices, decent food. Really good bar service in the pub!

« Comfortable & friendly stay in Quesnel »

You'll be welcomed by a very friendly Staff, and the King room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable at a reasonable rate. The windows were a bit thin and we heard more from a few Saturday night bar exiters than we wanted to, but that is a minor complaint as the noise didn't go on too long or too late. and the area is quiet and close to amenities.

    « Perfect for a stopover »

Quesnel strikes the visitor as a typical British Columbia town from years gone by. The Best Western fits the mold, but it's been nicely updated. There is a nice restaraunt on the premises, and it's close to everything. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

  • 3
« Satisfactory stopover while traveling by train »

We arrived in Quesnel by train late and left early, with breakfast on the train, so spent very little time in the Best Western. It is a satisfactory place to stay -- quiet and clean. We did not have occasion to try the attached pub or to interact with the staff, so this is a fairly limited review.

« Average hotel in town »

We visited this hotel with a group of 20 people. The hotel is not bad, the building does not look really sexy, but it's renovated inside. The room was clean. It respects the Best Western standard. Breakfast was good.

    « Quick 'overnighter' »

My wife and I were checked into this hotel on 14th September, as part of our Rockies tour. The phrase about 'not judging a book by its cover' is an apt analogy to use for this hotel. Architecturally, it's not the most inspiring building you will stay in. It also does look tired. Our room (308?) was on the third floor at the rear of the hotel. The air conditioning unit was loud and brilliantly efficient, but the room was clean and we especially liked the note posted in the room from the housekeeping team about the pride they had taken in preparing our room. All of the staff we met were polite and courteous and when we checked out the next morning, we especially appreciated the coffee/water than were on offer, plus the cheerful lady on reception who said goodbye to us all. As a building, we will instantly forget this hotel. What will remain is the pride in which the staff have in presenting their hotel and the efforts they go to in trying to delight their customers.

    « Don't judge it by it's exterior »

We almost didn't stay here when we saw the exterior of this hotel. Even though it's been somewhat refurbished it still has the appearance of a tired old hotel on the outside. However, the interior has been completely upgraded and the rooms are what you would typically expect from a Best Western though the beds are not as new. However, typical is what you want when your options are limited. Located in the heart of Quesnel's downtown, the shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

« One of the best in town »

Nothing fancy, but clean and good sized rooms. The hotel is a bit dated, but one of the best in Quesnel. Decent location for downtown Quesnel and friendly staff. The price is a bit on the higher end for Quesnel, but this is one of the top choices.

« Nice place to stay »

Nice place to stay. Shower head didn't work all that great. Room service was pretty fast and food was good. Room was nice and pretty comfortable. LOVED that they allowed pets as I traveled with my dog but disappointed there wasn't ANY green space to take the dog out for bathroom breaks. Had to walk around the block and use whatever grass I could find. I would stay again.

« Trip back in time »

Stayed two nights and visited Barkerville, hotel is in a good location in downtown Quesnel. You can walk to everything you might need. Rooms are clean and pretty well appointed. BW beds are always the best.

« Great stay in Quesnel »

Very friendly and quiet, nice clean rooms, great breakfast... Close to most amenities.... I would definitely stay here again. The water pressure is great, the bed is firm, the room is quiet. A short walk in any direction was something to do or see, the river was right there, including a foot bridge.

    « Adequate for a short stay »

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a Rocky Mountaineer tour. The room was adequate, nothing special. Decor was rather drab. Location is good, right in the town. Didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast so I can't comment on those.

« Stayed here with Rocky Mountaineer »

Didn't have to worry about checking in as we were given our room and wi-fi access prior to getting to the hotel. Stayed in room 110 - a good sized bathroom and room space for our luggage for the night. Great wi-fi service - no difficulties logging in. Room clean and tidy, only problem was we could hear the TV of adjoining room but that was okay, didn't use any other amenities here.

    « Okay but tired »

Stopped here one night. The staff were friendly and attentive. We arrived late and were disappointed that the bar shuts at 10pm so had time for just one drink. The room was ok. It was clean and the bed w comfortable however the air conditioning unit worked only on full, power which blasted right at you as it was situated on the wall at bed height. Then when we turned it off we realised our room was located just at the outside fans or blowers which were on for most of the night! Not a good nights sleep was had here.

    « Pleasant stay »

You will not go wrong staying at this hotel. Pleasant staff, nice rooms, bistro on site. We have been finding on our travels, some of the hotels and motels do not have a place to eat on site. It's usually in walking distance. Not that we mind walking, but when you arrive late and tired, walking is not on the agenda. Great experience Thank you Best Western

    « 3.5 out of 5 »

I thought the hotel was comfortable. The beds and pillows were good and the room was in good shape. The bathroom was fine but he shower was a little finicky. My only real issue was that the air conditioner only blasted on high and went right at you if you were sitting in the lounge chair or if you were in bed. It was so noisy that it would wake you up with both the noise but also the ice cold air. I would suggest this hotel is great for all days but when you it is hot out. Overall though for the times of year that you do not need air conditioning the room is well appointed with a nice bed, lounge chair and a fridge.

« Good base for Barkerville »

Stayed here for 2 nights while we explored Barkerville. The room was clean and quiet and the front desk staff were friendly and knowledgable (both about good places to eat, and about what we could expect weather wise in Barkerville.)

    « Clean excellent room »

The room was clean, no breakfast but price of room was reasonable. Excellent location, friendly staff. Would stay here again. This is an older facility. It should be rated Best Western Not Best western plus! The restaurant food was good. App says 200 characters. iPad app needs fixed

« Stay here for business »

Nothing earth shattering here, but I always get good service, clean rooms and an overall good stay. I like the convenience of having Begbies Pub and the restaurant downstairs. The hotel is also very close to the downtown core, all walking distance.

    « They try hard! »

Quesnel isn't a big city and prior to our Rocky Mountaineer trip, I had never heard of it. Its not surprising that the accomodations in town aren't lavish but they provide reasonable value. We arrived at the Best Western at around 7pm, tired. The room was clean and quiet and served its purpose; we were in it for about 12 hrs. The biggest drawback was that there really wasn't a place to open two large suitcases.

    « Love BW hotels »

It's not fancy, but predictable. Love the bed !!!!!! It's clean , well run , and comfortable. Here for 2 nights on tour to Barkervillve. Heard very good things about the food in the restaurant. But I'm going for Chinese food.

    « Great Location »

For a small town with few options, this is a great hotel in the center of town walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the scenic lake. The downside is that we had asked for a king room and received two doubles and the air conditioner is so loud and blows so hard that my husband had to rig the air flow with a laminated paper (see photo)...we spoke with all the other Rocky Mountaineer guests and they too complained of the same loud A/C system. Overall, it's a good hotel for a night or two.

« Good Stay for Overnight While Traveling »

This was a one night stay while traveling. Room was large, clean and well furnished. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were pleased and would stay here again.

  • 3
    « A bit musty »

Beds are clean as was the bathroom. When I first arrived there was a strong chemical smell of cleaners but underneath an old musty smell which seemed to permeate the floor. Parking lot was daily small if you are driving a truck. No complimentary breakfast but a 10% off coupon for breakfast at begbies attached to hotel from 6 to11:30 am. Front desk friendly however seem a bit disorganised I witnessed someone attempting to cancel a planed stay and apparently he was not staying anyways as the inn did not have his room booked.

Excellent service during telephone reservation and same person at check in. Room was large, clean and bed comfortable. In room service for dinner was fantastic and food excellent. The woman at the front desk during check out was ok which surprised me as the rest of the staff we dealt with was fantastic.

« Possibly the best hotel in Quesnel »

Quesnel is perhaps the smallest town we visited during our tour of Western Canada and, thus, the hotel options don't match large cities. However, this hotel has obviously made the upgrades that are important to customer comfort - beautifully updated bathrooms, sedate but tasteful room decor, comfortable beds with nice bedding, TV, wi-fi, bar with refrigerator, coffee in the lobby, and helpful staff. There is even a microwave in the hallway for guest use.

« Average, OK for Rocky Mountaineer stop-over »

Pretty shabby, out-dated and bland. Like Quesnel, itself, really. Food in restaurant was substantial but uninspiring. Not a great night's sleep, but still better than Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise by some margin.

    « Clean and Friendly »

We stayed here en route on the Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Jasper. Due to hot weather and speed restrictions on the line we were late arriving, keys to our rooms were given to us at the station and we were greeted at the door by the duty manager. Unfortunately none of our party could make their electronic keys work, so we all had to troop down to the front desk to have them "refreshed". Our room was as expected, very clean with good air conditioning and good linens. I would recommend this hotel, although we did not have an opportunity to have a meal there.

« So tired and Best Western was that place to be :) »

Staff went out of their way to accommodate us as we were late due to a flight delay of over 4 hours, I called and let them know and they said that it's fine and were very welcoming once we finally arrived and all was good

« Good hotel Great staff »

Older hotel has the feel of the logging town. Very close to river and walking trails and shops. Great staff with a good restaurant attached. Room was clean and orderly and i found the bed to be consistent with all Best Western beds.

    « road trip 2016 »

long drive from van island place to stop till continuing on my road trip north. stayed at this hotel before. had great customer service, hotel is clean, great location easy to find. doesnt serve continental breakfast but gives a discount for breakfast in the restaurant.

    « BW Quesnel »

The staff were very pleasant and courteous. The service level of the staff is the primary reason for my stays here. The premises are very clean and the rooms are well maintained. It is in a convenient location. close to the highway and yet is a quiet place to get a good nights' sleep.

« Excellent property, very efficiently managed, and convenient to downtown »

I really enjoyed this property. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the staff really pleasant. What more could one ask for. Honestly, I wish I had had a second day to spend time wandering around Quesnel, but that was not in the plans.

  • 4
    « Pleasant and reliable. »

Very pleasant desk staff, room average BW standard, clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. Good location, with restaurant / bar on site and Safeway across the road. They had a Rocky Mountaineer group to deal with but still found time to help us out.

    « hotel »

This hotel was very clean and the personnel were very helpful and polite. The bed was very comfortable. This is a pet friendly hotel. The hotel is in a great location to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Perfect Location »

I always stay at the hotel when I go to Quesnel. It is right down town. Quesnel is a quaint little town so I love walking along Reid Street. There is a lovely pub and restaurant in the hotel as well. The rooms are very clean and the services was very pleasant!

« They want your money - but not you! »

So we were stopping over in Quesnel for one night. The hotel was advertised as pet friendly. No restrictions listed. None. So I book the VIP room. The best room there. Then I had to fight with them about two small dogs that do not shed what-so-ever. These two dogs are so good at hotels, many either wave the fee or reduce it. Nope not this one! I had to fight with them for 20 minutes and they added an aditional $50 fee on top of the $20 dog fee to clean the room better after we go. Well the room was not all that clean in the first place!! There were feathers under the kitchen table you eat at that hookers/escorts dress in. Yuck! Dirt in the bathroom and dust and everything. And this place was worried that these two dogs were going to be a problem for the guests after who have allergies? Really? This places cleaning is more of a threat thanks... I have a few photos I am uploading here to only further my point. Then on check-out I was rudely informed that next time the dogs aren't welcome in the VIP suite. I promptly informed the front desk that the Sandman will be getting all future business on my way through. I will be contacting Best Western directly about this location. The rudeness of this place made me sick. And I came to spend money.

« Perfect stay for Business travel »

The Staff and location makes this hotel a perfect place to stay when in Quesnel. Everyone is very helpful and accommodating and clean and quiet place to stay. Great parking and a wonderful restaurant at the Hotel. The rooms are cozy. It is obvious the owners take pride in their business. I found the Staff always to be so helpful and friendly which is important when away from home.

« Great service, comfy bed »

We drove into town looking for a place with good parking, a restaurant and reasonably priced. The Tower Inn checks all these boxes and more. Standout service by Katie on the front desk and our two servers in the restaurant. We loved our salmon special (dinner) and eggs Benny (bfast).

« not worthy of Plus rating »

the eggs benedict at their restaraunt used a gravy sauce instead of a hollandaise sauce on the eggs. The room was Ok but quite old and a little musty. The wi-fi internet connection was terrible, it kept disconnecting .

    « Use for bussines »

Ok for up to 2 weeks business trips. Is in the downtown so easy accesses to shops and restaurants and the river walk. If you have been in other best western hotels this one won't surprise you. Bar and restaurant empty most of the time, but if you want to buy a bottle of wine after lunch and take it to your room it's comes up handy.

    « Great stay »

Stayed at this hotel for business. I had a great stay. The staff were accommodating and the room was nice. The location is close to everything. I will definitely be staying there when I return to Quesnel.

« Good place to stay on the way through town. »

This is a fairly good hotel, nothing special, but the rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly and the room rates were reasonable. I had stopped overnight on a business trip and everything was fine.....just nothing noteworthy. I would stay again.

« Good hotel with some suggestions »

I like this hotel due to quietness, cleanness and friendly staff. Hotel has good parking with sockets for block heaters. Rooms were well maintained and I liked the washroom and shower. Few issues that I had are : No microwave in the room even we had mentioned a baby with us, Wi-Fi is really crappy and so much so that I used my own network data, hair dryer was not working. Despite this I would be happy to recommend this hotel. In the end, good comfortable bed, nice shower, great staff and squeaky clean room is all that matters

« Good clean room at a reasonable rate »

Room was very clean. No problems at all connecting to internet. Restaurant and pub very conveniently attached to the hotel. Hotel staff were quite helpful. I have eaten in the restaurant on other occasions and the food and service were both good.

« Great room and beds, ridiculous road noise! »

Spent one night here and were happy with the room and bed. Super comfy! Unfortunately, we slept terribly to the noise outside of the hotel. Someone had run over the stop sign by the hotel around 2 a.m., causing a loud bang. Due to the hotel's proximity to a main highway, we could hear a LOT of big trucks rolling through town. I know this is not the hotel's fault, but if you are a light sleeper, you will want to look for a hotel that is in a quieter location.

    « Comfortable and quiet »

We stayed here on a business trip. The location is close to everything, coffee shops, Safeway, walking trails, liquor store, etc. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and the beds allowed for some of the best sleeps I can remember in a long time! There isn't a breakfast with this hotel, although they provide 10% off for the restaurant attached to the hotel. Don't waste your time or tastebuds on the restaurant. We had breakfast and lunch there, both were lacklustre and disappointing. So, stay at the hotel, but go elsewhere to eat. There's a very special coffee shop, just steps away. :)

    « another wonderful stay »

I cannot say enough about how awesome this hotel and all their Staff and Owners are and how welcome they all make you feel -I highly recommend this hotel to stay at when in Quesnel, BC. It is close to everything you could possibly want or need.

    « Hit and Miss »

Have never had a problem with the rooms. Beds are super comfy. Room has always been very tidy and clean. My only complaint is with the restaurant. Food was substandard and decor is tired and old. Restaurant staff could use a little help with customer service and are lacking in enthusiasm towards their job. Not all, but some seem indifferent with a could care less attitude. Not a lot of professionalism.

« Good central location if on business »

This is my preferred hotel to stay at while on business in the area. They are always friendly and the rooms clean. If going in the summer and staying Monday night, book early as the train guests take over the hotel.

    « Surprisingly quiet »

I had avoided this hotel before, always thinking that downtown Quesnel would be too noisy. However, it was quite the opposite at the Best Western, where I stayed on my way to and then on my way home, from Hazelton. Nice renovated rooms, friendly, efficient staff, and a comfortable, quiet night. Just off the highway, and 1 block to the old movie theatre, restaurants and coffee shops. No continental breakfast here, but you get a discount coupon for their on-site restaurant, which serves a great breakfast!

We prefer Best Western over other hotels. This hotel does not offer a lot of what the other Best Westerns offer. IE Continental Breakfast or Swimming Pool. Good Price Clean Hotel. Close to the area of town we wanted to stay in. This time we actually got the free upgrade for having a Best Western Diamond Membership.

« Most enjoyable hotel on our Road Scholar 11 day trip. Come find their 23 Little People on the walking tour. »

Spent the night in this lovely older renovated hotel in this warm and friendly town. The rooms were quiet, very comfortable, and had everything you needed. We were greeted by friendly staff wherever you went. The restaurant, part of the hotel, accommodated our needs when we arrived late. The hotel was within walking distance to shops, other restaurants, and a local grocery store. Quesnel has a delightful walking tour of the town which enables you to find all 23 of Quesnel's Little People (humorous Painted Fire Hydrants).

    « Very nice »

this is probably the nicest hotel we have stayed in Canada since we have been traveling thur. It was neat and clean, recently remodeled. The receptionist was very friendly and pleasant. Probably won't be traveling this way again but I highly recommend this hotel.
