The hotel on the outside seemed decent, and it was one of the only name brand hotels in the entire city so assumed it would be fine but I was wrong. The rooms were just ok but the fridge had a weird odor and there were cockroaches on the ceiling when we got into the room. For the breakfast they had rotten fruit and croissants that had mold on them. Definitely wouldn't recommend staying here
There were dirty socks in the night stand, feces on the bathroom door and both hallway and room smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. Door lock was broken and bathroom was extremely dirty with mold in the corner by shower. Seems like a family run establishment, but the cleanliness, order and overall upkeep was lacking. Would pay more to stay elsewhere. See photos.
This hotel needs serious sound proofing! I didn't bother to complain because what are they going to do renovations on the spot? Breakfast was ok no variety like other best western hotels. Bathroom was tiny with no working exhaust fan. I will definitely not stay there again.
The best “typical” motel I have ever stayed at. Great room… amenities…and breakfast. Great staff too! If in area… this is the motel to book… she's not too fancy on the outside…but well taken care on the inside…. Hot delicious breakfast… very nice beds..shower was world class…
Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place!!Pay a bit extra and go to the Hampton Inn! When we got into our room, which was mediocre, the TV did not work and I smelled a moldy musty smell, also there were people right outside our window partying, the smell of cigarettes was coming thru to window A/c. My son is very asthmatic started having trouble breathing so I know we were not going to be able to stay there. We were in our room less then 10 mins, I went out to the front desk and told them I would not be staying, the manager was VERY aggressive, smug, and accusatory, and started badgering me with ridiculous questions. He did offer another room BUT because of his behavior I just wanted to leave. I had been up for nearly 24 hrs and my son was starting to have an asthma attack I was literally panicking to leave ASAP. I was told I had to give 24 hrs notice to cancel to room, so I agreed to pay for a night or 2, which I dont thin is fair considering it was unsafe physically for my son to be there. Now I got a receipt that I was charged almost $500 for 3 nights for a room I was in less than 10 mins. I called customer care, of course they said they cant do anything and that I would have to reach out to the manager again, but I am not subjecting myself, I will have to dispute the charges.
I had a nice stay at the Sure Stay Hotel. The room's air conditioning wasn't very effective, making it hard to maintain a comfortable temperature. But the front desk sorted it out quickly. I was genuinely impressed by the service I received.
I had a good time at the Sure Stay Hotel. I liked how easy it was to get to nearby attractions and restaurants. But, the AC unit in my room didn't cool as expected, making the nights less comfortable. The staff tried to resolve the issue. While the location was great, the room could have been better.
I had a good time at the Sure Stay Hotel. I liked how easy it was to get to nearby attractions and restaurants. But, the room had a musty smell that bothered me, and the air conditioner was noisy, which made it hard to sleep well. The location was great, but the room could have been better.
I stayed at the Sure Stay Hotel recently, and it was great! I noticed that the bathroom lacked essential amenities, which was disappointing. After informing the staff, they provided hand soap and tissues, which was appreciated. I'm looking forward to going back!
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times within the past 2 years. Within these two years I have received great service and the professionalism at the front desk has always been superb. I recently stayed there and the service and professionalism has decreased. I noticed that Sam was no longer working at the hotel, Sam was always polite and helpful. He seemed to know how to make sure the guests stayed happy and content within their stay. The guys working the front desk now seem to have no idea what they are doing and lack in professionalism. I will not be staying at this establishment again.
I recently stayed at the Sure Stay Hotel with friends and had a great time. The breakfast was yummy with lots of choices. The hotel also has a gym. The only problem was with the hot water, but the staff fixed it quickly. I highly recommend the Sure Stay Hotel.
Sure Stay Hotel offers a comfortable stay with convenient amenities. The gym facilities were decent, although some equipment seemed outdated. The musty smell and dirty carpets in my initial room changed the bed sheets and made efforts to freshen up the room. The staff were responsive and helpful.
I recently stayed at The Sure Stay Hotel, and it was amazing! The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options. The rooms were nice and tidy, but unfortunately, my AC didn't work. However, the staff quickly provided me with a new room. Despite arriving late, the check-in process was easy. The elevators worked well, and I appreciated the fact that they had a gym. Overall, my experience at Sure Stay was fantastic!
I went to Sure Stay Hotel for work, and it was awesome! The breakfast was yummy, and the staff were helpful. The rooms were really clean, which I liked, but my room's AC wasn't working. I told the staff, and they quickly gave me another room. Even though I arrived late, checking in was easy. The elevators worked well, and it was cool they had a gym too. Overall, I had a great time at Sure Stay.
This hotel has been renovated it's clean bright and the beds were exceptional which is a rare find. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation
Our first room didn't have a smoke alarm. It also had a broken toilet paper holder but that alone wouldn't have been a big deal. We requested to move to a room with a smoke detector. The young girl at the front desk was trying her best but she kept having to call the manager. He'd clearly told her she couldn't make any decisions on her own but then he didn't offer any solutions either. She called him 4 times in the span of a 10 minute conversation. When I finally asked to speak to him, she said she would check with him. She called and he was clearly telling her off for asking if I could talk to him. She hung up the phone and told us "he's unavailable". They kept saying the maintenance person was fixing it "right now" so I asked if he was in our room with all of our belongings without my knowledge. She said: "no, how would he know your room number?" Like I was the dumbest person she'd ever interacted with. I asked when it would be fixed then and she again said "right now". It was the most frustrating customer service experience I've had. We would've just let it go if it wasn't a safety issue. She ended up moving us to a different room when she realized we wouldn't just let it go. The manager here was not onsite and left his young employee to deal with customers that were unhappy with no support and no way to manage a situation like that. Somebody needs to oversee him because he's not doing his job. The hotel was also in bad shape, it felt trashy and I'm disappointed in the state of the rooms considering how much I paid.
Friendly and courteous staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Coffee available 24/7, continental breakfast available. Reasonable rates.
I recently had a pleasant stay at the Sure Stay Hotel with my friends. The breakfast was delicious, and there were a lot of options to choose from. The hotel also offers gym facilities. The only issue I faced was the hot water, but the staff quickly resolved it. Overall, staying at the Sure Stay Hotel is a great choice.
I recently stayed at the Sure Stay Hotel with my friends, and it was a good experience! The breakfast tasted delicious, and they had a lot of options to choose from. They also provide a gym facility. The only problem that I faced was related to hot water, but the staff fixed it quickly. Overall, staying at Sure Stay Hotel is a good choice.
I recently stayed at Sure Stay Hotel with my friends, which was awesome! The dinner they served was delicious and we all enjoyed it a lot. There was a little problem with the bed sheets in our room, But when I told the staff about it, they quickly changed them. It was also convenient to have a gym available. Overall, we recommend staying at Sure Stay Hotel.
Feel like you're right at home, friendly and professional staff. The rooms are very clean and overall a comfortable stay. The receptionist, Komal, was very polite, respectful, and selected the best room available for me. I definitely recommend this hotel!
We stayed here during the eclipse. I believe all the rooms were booked. The staff were so pleasant and attentive. It was such a great place to stay. The beds were super comfortable and the pillows were so fluffy!! Very quiet and enjoyable. Coffee was really good and breakfast was a bonus! We were very happy with our stay and appreciated the hard working staff!
I stayed at the Sure Stay Hotel for a work trip, and it was great! Breakfast had some good options! I particularly liked the croissants they served. They were delicious! The rooms weren't very clean, but there was one problem with the bed sheets in my room. I told the staff, and they quickly changed them. It was nice to have a gym there too. Overall, my stay at Sure Stay was really enjoyable.

Staff was excellent and extremely nice. Place was clean and quite. Had a great variety for breakfast with great hours. Location was close to the college and town. Staff was friendly and willing to help with anything their guests needed. Easy to find.
The hotel was very clean and spacious. Breakfast offered with a wide variety of food. My bed was extremely comfortable. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home.. Hands down best hotel in Presque Isle with the best possible value for your money.
I've had the best experience staying here at the surestay hotel. Very quiet and comfortable. Everyone is very kind. Front desk is always on top of things especially when you ask for extra towels. I stayed for about a few days and it was amazing. Housekeeping really did an amazing job with cleaning the rooms. The place is being remodeled at the moment and looking awesome. Breakfast area is always clean and food is well prepared and stalked. This place would be my number one pick again.
The service is great, and the price was very descent even with a booking made right at the counter. The bed is clean, comfy and allows a good night rest. The hotel is freshly renovated as well making this hotel definitely the best value in town.
The manager was very helpful when there was an issue with my bill. I was charged for the wrong dates and the manager issued a refund. Excellent customer service. Staff were polite and kind at every interaction.
Excellent rooms - comfortable beds & pillows - very clean - Great breakfast - great staff. I give it a 10 out of 10. Bathroom was a bit tight but completely updated with new rugs and comfortable bedding.
After retuening from Canada to Maine we went to three motels from Caibou to Presque Isle. By far the nicest rooms and deal was Best Western Preque Isle. Special thanks to Dam who made the check-in friendly and easy!
I had a great time there. Clean quiet the people are so nice. Love the coffee and breakfast! It's so modern which I really liked. I would definitely recommend staying there. They have a beautiful fireplace to sit around. Enjoy!!
From checking in to checking out, the hotel staff, Sam, showed warm and friendly hospitality during our stay at Sure Stay Hotel. The room and hotel lobby was immaculate. Front desk were attentive to our needs by going above and beyond our guest expectations. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I recommend this hotel and it's not far from downtown. Waking distance to bars, restaurants and the movies.
Hotels limited in Presque Isle. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is lacking. Big box trucks take up multiple parking spots. Leaks on ceiling from toilet above leaking. Local kids rent rooms here to party. One night all we heard was running all over the halls.
Had a quick trip through Presque idle for business and pleasure and this was a good spot to spend a night. I especially appreciated Sam who helped us sort out a logistical challenge resulting from only having one car. He was so kind and helpful. Also the staff member on duty in the evening the night before was helpful too'.
The staff is very friendly and fulfilled my requests in a timely manner. Doing layovers means that I sleep at odd hours but the cleaning personnel was whisper-quiet. Surestay is always my first choice.
I stayed for a night on a business trip. It was quiet a pleasant experience. Rooms were spacious and Hygenic. I would say the hospitality from the staff has been the best part and i would surely recommend anyone seeking stay at this place.
The Front Desk Agent Sam was always welcoming, friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable about his job. He was able to get me an early check in and went out of his way to make sure I got the kind of room I wanted. The hotel was clean and modern and all staff that I had interactions with seemed to really enjoy their job and were always willing to help answer questions when I had them. It feels luxurious to stay here and even has great walking paths through a beautiful local cemetery located just across the street if you want a little exercise. Thanks again to Sam for making me feel like an appreciated guest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
I booked using points, but they billed me anyway. My points were cashed in and I have record of this on my BW Gold account. When I called to ask what the charges were for, "Kane" hung up on me three times.
Absolutely a pleasure , staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed . Room was Cosy and clean. I highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness , value and location . You will not be disappointed!
The overall rating I chose was poor. Poor due to the inhospitable male clerk. He wasn't friendly & seemed generally uninterested in offering any assistance beyond giving the key to the room. When inquiring about taxi service to the airport there was no offer to book a taxi for me. Pointed to a business card on the wall while telling me taxi service sucks here. The TV didn't work in the room, the floors creaked and the walls were thin being able as I was able to hear the TV in the adjacent room. In the lobby at 430am I turned in my key to a different unkept male clerk. His response when I asked about if the taxis were on time here was I don't know sir. My recommendation to SureStay Best Western in Presque Isle is a required course in hospitality training for each clerk.
Let me first say that the people working here were very friendly! I was traveling with my mother who is in her mid 70s. Even though we made our reservations weeks in advance, we were told that they only had rooms available upstairs, with NO ELEVATOR!!! When we got to our room, we noticed immediately that the smoke detector was wrapped in a wash cloth (see picture). This is illegal, I think. The room was filthy. We stayed a week and couldn't unpack our clothes in the drawers because of how dirty they were. Every night we would hear the people, who we believed were the owners, in the room next to us talking and laughing. This lasted until about 9pm. A couple of nights, we could smell the food that they were cooking. We were staying in room 214. In the corner of the room, you could see the problem with insulation (why we could hear them and smell their food). Don't let them put you in this room!!!
We stayed here one night on October 8, 22. We had reserved a suite. The hotel was better than I expected as far as being clean and up to date. This is an old hotel that was renamed and renovated. There is no elevator, so if you are disabled, the second floor isn't for you. Unsure if there are suites on the 1st floor. The front desk staff did their job well. Continental breakfast was better than expected with hot eggs, pancake machine, cereal and bread choices, fruit and a couple of other items. The juice machine was not working the day we were here. The suite passed our clean test. We clean all rooms again and inspect. The mattress was not enclosed in a protective cover. I recommend the hotel do this. The kitchenette had most of the basics to get by. Once again clean. Furnishings were up to date. King size bed was very comfortable. Pillows were EXCELLENT. We are planning to purchase the Best Western exclusive pillows from a vendor. Bathroom was very small.Toilet and tub. Maybe a little bigger than the average motor home bathroom. Small sink located before entering the toilet/shower area. Wifi connection was slow but met our need. Lighting was good. I did not see a clock in our room. Now for the NEGATIVE. Since this is a older property, the interior floors and walls allowed for ALL the noise to be clearly heard. Heard snoring all night. Every foot step in the hall was heard. Other people's conversations were clearly heard. Even inside the room each foot step is heard. Imagine how bad the noise is on the first floor. Check out time is 11 am. Would we stay here again. Yes if we needed to. I would bring ear plugs though. This was the first time we have stayed at a Best Western branded hotel in over 25 years. Except for the noise, the hotel is decent. With discount, the price was $222 including tax. Too high for what you get. Supply and demand at play.
We drove all night, not knowing if we'd get a room... but luckily, when we arrived at the hotel, they had an extra room available, which they immediately set up for us. Usually, their check-in times begin at 3 p.m., but the staff was very supportive; they understood the situation and allowed us to check in the morning. Overall a wonderful experience.
Never received confirmation # via email, called to cancel and they couldn't find my reservation. I requested a cancelation # via email once she had her system up, never received. Called to fix and they initially removed the charge, then charged again. I can see on my cell where I called in to cancel.
Room was clean but room service never happened on the day we ask, it took asking over and over again for them to get it done. Door on left side of hotel was full of spiders, bugs, and cobwebs. Spiders and bugs falling on me when going in and out of side door. HORRIBLE
Listen, the owners are so friendly and accommodating. However, the property could use work. I also get that there is a shortage of housekeepers but that is no excuse. There was cobwebs hanging above the bed, there was hair in the bathroom and the carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed very well in a long time. We turned on the A/C and immediately flared up with allergies. I felt the need to wipe things down first. The breakfast was pretty MEH we tried everything but only took one bite and threw the items away. Also the noise. It was a huge issue for us.
First experience with this place. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. House keeping was nowhere to be seen. We stayed for 7 days and we only got fresh towels once and only then because my wife caught a staff person in the hall,
There was enough hair from a pervious guest (or hotel staff) on the bathroom floor and sink that I thought I was at a chemotherapy clinic on a cancer ward. Bathroom sink was plugged and wouldn't drain - mentioned this to staff but no repairs were made or attempted.
Great location and very safe. Near restaurants, shopping, and an endless assortment of outdoor activities. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and clean room. Great price and dog friendly. Everything during our stay was wonderful.
This facility is very basic, offers very minimal breakfast. Also, this facility is located right next to a main road and you get a lot of road noise which can make relaxing/sleeping in room a bit challenging.
Rooms are kept neatly, the staff is friendly, and the location is ideal. It is safe to spend time with family. Best Time Spent with family. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was a pleasant stay. Highly Recommended.
Excellent hotel, Convenient location, Nice breakfast, Good spread of dishes. Needed to call someone to get some of the dishes fresh and hot but Dependable room service and housekeeping. Overall satisfied
Front office and housekeeping staff very courteous and efficient. Rooms are very good even for double occupancy. Buffet breakfast was nice. It was a bit busy at the parking lot but we got the help from front desk so cheers!
After staying here last year with an okay experience, I felt comfortable staying again. That has now all changed. When we checked in, I noticed the room charge was quite a bit more than my reservation. I thought to myself I'll just go back to the desk once we drop off our luggage. When we opened the door to our room, we found it occupied! We went back to the front desk and the owner/manager gave us an apartment for the night (no tv, coffee maker). I asked about the billing discrepancy and he said he would fix it when we checked out and would give us a deal on this first night (we booked for 4 nights). When we went to check out 4 days later, the clerk wasn't able to fix the discrepancy, and said the owner would have to do it. The discrepancy was almost $100, so I really wanted to get it corrected. Come to find out, the owner put us in the apartment as part of our reservation and tried to charge us for it. We waited almost 1 hour for him to show up (he actually lives in the apartment next to the one we stayed in). He eventually corrected the bill. To me, it was obvious that he tried to take advantage and was hoping I would just leave. Please be aware. Also, the place is definitely showing signs of neglect.
An extremely pleasing and warm stay for us. The thoroughly professional and courteous crew was the highlight of our stay. A memorable stay which will remain etched in our memories for times ahead. Thanks Team SureStay. Very happy with our little getaway
If you really want to get pampered, good comfortable clean room, good food and good customer service, this is the place. Room was cleaned. Every thing was upto the mark. Customer service is good. SureStay hotel is exceptionally good. Impeccable service and surrounding.
It was a nice family stay!! Thank you SureStay Hotel for making this holiday memorable. My son ejoyed the most as they are a pet friendly hotel so we did not have to leave out Zuzu back at home. Highly recommended and will certainly come back again!
The rooms are very clean and spacious. The location is also a plus. Staffs are very courteous and helpful. I went there with my friends for the weekend and it's been a really good stay. Really happy with the services
Comfortable bed, the view from the room and the overall cosy setup. Also warm welcome at the reception. All staff is highly customer centric and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay with a toddler
It was my first time at SureStay hotel with my family and friends but I must say they go beyong the bars to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Really happy with the polite and friendly staff, we could even brought our pets with us which is one of the best things about this hotel!
I always feel good when spending holidays at SureStay hotel as they provide us with the homely feeling even when we are not home. Would love to recommend it to everyone visiting Presque Isle, Maine anytime soon
Traveling with my wife, a dog, and two cats. They tried to stick me in a room that was basically a closet with a queen bed in it. DID NOT STAY, GOT CHARGED ANYWAY. Rude staff, did not offer any accommodations.
The Sure Stay was a very pleasant hotel experience. The hotel has recently changed hands and the new owners obviously want the guests to have a comfortable time and return again. The room was totally new, comfortable bed, big TV, Microwave and Fridge in the room and most important, because I was there on business, the desk chair was in great working order! That does not happen a lot when I travel. Staff was pleasant. Room was quiet except that they were finishing up on new siding outside. The siding staff was considerate of guests and started working later and ended early so as to not disrupt the guest experience. I will stay there again!
To start off, we had a pet friendly room to be able to take a service dog and had to pay $100 for this. The room smelled terrible of animal urine. The AC and fan made it worse. The shower had oubic hair on the handle. There were weird beetles as well as fruit flies in the bathroom for what reason I will never know. My 8 month old found a tack under the edge of the bed frame and I had to pull it from her mouth, which I found what looked like cracker crumbs and old pieces of possibly popcorn chicken. The hair dryer cord was cut, the remote had no batteries in it. There was a dog barking most of the night, workers outside of the window talking til late hours. A used coffee pod in the coffee maker. The worst part is the bed had two fleas in it and dog hair as well as two spots of what resembled blood and I am pretty sure it had not even been changed, just straighten and made. I get the impression this room was not even cleaned between guests and my teenager asked if we could have caught something staying there. I am DISGUSTED!! Not at all worth the money. Sad to say this was a better place with a lower end owner years ago. I am baffled and have filed a complaint with the BBB. I left along note which I took pictures of in the room and left first thing in the morning just to get some place else and shower. But the check in staff was super friendly (Michelle).
The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk , I believe her name was Michelle was very pleasant and helpful. The one thing that I would mention is that on the hotel web site I did not see anywhere that there was no elevator available to get to the 2nd floor. For some with their luggage and knee surgery that would have been a nice thing to know. Overall though I would recommend this hotel and also thank your staff through this tough time for being there and doing their best.
Heading says it all. Nice Grab & Go breakfast and best tasting coffee ever in a lobby, 7/24. Clean room with lots of pillows Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly with large cemetery across highway for long strolls after day in car.
This hotel didn't look very impressive from the outside or from the lobby or hallways, but the room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable. I think it was a good value and would stay here again.
Check in took 40 minutes as the new employee had to call for help as I had a Best Western Coupon. Then my cc was charged twice. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was a bag. Still hadn't resolved my check-in problem at check out!!
Nice clean hotel. The price was ok considering the high hotel prices in Maine. Staff was 50/50. Evening watch was not very friendly but in morning staff was very nice and friendly. Simple amenities but in good condition.
Both nights at this hotel there was commotion in the hallway. One night was from 1:30am to 2:30am and the other night was from midnight to almost 1:00am. Adults and kids in the hallway with no respect to other guests. After calling the front desk, I was told it was the owner and his family and they “just hadn't gone to their rooms yet.” No offer to speak to them and mention the concern. It is typical to expect intoxicated people around the midnight hour, but the owner and his family......Poor judgement to guests who are paying for their rooms. Pay the extra money and stay at the Hampton in Presque Isle.
Perfect location to stay a night on this trip to see Aroostook County for the first time and specifically Maine potatoes in bloom. After searching many web sites this appeared to be a good deal and had mostly good reviews. After arriving early (I know everyone these days is short handed and I didn't think the room would be ready but it never hurts to ask, right?) Staff not at front desk but a note with number to call was helpful. Emily showed up at the desk on a portable phone with another customer. She finished her call, greeted us with a smile and I told her of my reservation and my name and that I knew I was early. She explained the room wasn't ready but she (yes, she was also housekeeping) would finish up the room she was doing and do mine next "give me about 45 minutes". She offered to check us in so when we got back we could get right into the room. She was friendly, informative and smiling throughout the interaction. Room was ready when my friend and I returned. The room was neat and clean and quite comfortable with everything I expected. Emily was answering the phone, checking people in/out and cleaning rooms. How she managed to keep her cool, keep smiling, talk pleasantly maintaining a good attitude is beyond me. Other staff we interacted with were all pleasant and hard working. I truly hope the management is aware of their hard work and that they are rewarded for working during these continuing difficult times.
The guest in the room above our room was running back and forth and was yelling and screaming for hours between 1 am and 5 am. Was unable to sleep. After reporting it was told there were multiple reports of the same. I could not stay another night at this location during my stay at presque isle.
Based on reviews in Tripadvisor and other online sites, we booked two rooms into the SureStay in Presque Isle for several nights while on business in the town. It is true that these rooms have been renovated recently, and those renovations provide a facelift to them. But, the overall hotel remains very tired and in poor condition. Although the hotel was not close to capacity, our room assignments were on the first and second floors on opposite ends of the corridors and couldn't be altered. Regardless, both rooms experienced slow draining sinks and bathtubs which points to a systemic problem with the plumbing. Due to COVID conditions, there is no room service and guests are to be given a "welcome" letter explaining the policy. No letter was presented upon check-in. Similarly, the hotel provides "bag breakfasts" that are embarrassingly poor and inconsistent in what is offered. All-in-all our stay will be memorable for all the wrong reasons.
A wonderful stay in an affordable hotel. No elevators and small bathrooms but value versus quality just right! Comfy king size bed, good TV and abundance of channels, quiet on the backside, and exceptionally friendly staff makes for an enjoyable stay!
We stayed here for a recent snowmobile adventure! The room was great, ample truck and trailer parking. Easy access to trails and fuel! Great local options for food. Centrally located. Thanks for a great stay!
Needed a place for my truck drivers to park the trucks, rest comfortably, and with breakfast included. It was easy to reserve a room and the manager was very helpful and professional. My drivers did not complain and was well rested. This place was great!
The rooms and staff are wonderful . Convenient to stores and food . They are doing bagged breakfast- we felt very safe - they are following all the Covid guidelines. They also have a laundry - but bring your own soap ...
If you need a place to stay for the night this property is fine. Things were well run and everyone was welcoming and pleasant. The room was on the small side and the bathroom even smaller. WiFi was good and Covid-19 precautions taken.
Jasmine checked us in. She is amazing. My children felt instantly at home here for our long stay. Room was cleaned to perfection when we got here. everything was sanitized. Sanitizer is everywhere. All safety measures are taken. Beth the manager of housekeeping and Sherry make sure the rooms are fully detailed with everything you need. The thing they don't advertise is how you are a part of the family when you stay here. These ladies take care of everything. It was an amazing stay for over a month and a half
We enjoyed three nights amid the pandemic. The only downside was no hot breakfast or boiled eggs. The go-bags included yogurt, muffin and fruit, plus water and OJ. Coffee, tea and cocoa were available in the lobby for free. The queen bed was comfy and the fridge and micro were convenient and appreciated. Room 134 was the best, with a small strip of grass for sitting outside.
We love staying here for our snowmobile and a ATV adventures! Lots of parking, direct trail access, great size rooms for gear, comfy beds, nice continental breakfast, fast internet, friendly and welcoming staff!
This place has been totally remodeled. The rooms are beautiful, clean awesome. Very nice place to stay!!! Beds are comfortable. All the comforts of home! You won't be disappointed! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
My trip was short and last minute so it seems i got the higher per night price of $120. Saw adds for as low as $86 for AAA but for some those rates were not available for my trip. They have spriced the place up some with fresh paint and minor upgrades to the rooms. there are other options in the area so i just say do your research.
I was pleasantly surprised! I needed a dog friendly hotel in the area and found this one online which had great reviews. I was still a little nervous but was happy to find the room was updated and clean with fresh linens. The internet was good. Staff was excellent! They had these miniature whoopee pies at the front desk baked by a local baker that were yummy too!
I have stayed with this hotel for the last 8 or 9 months. I asked for a little change for breakfast. Just looking for some kind of egg product. Sylvia my morning desk attendant actually went to a local grocer and brought hard boiled eggs. I ate a couple and found out the following week that other guests liked them as well. I just want to thank her for following up and trying somethimg new. Also thanks to the whole crew for all they have done for me.
I first came to Presque Isle looking for a house (moving to Maine). Things didn't work out, but the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They readily answered my questions about the area and conditions, giving me tips as this is my first time in the cooler climate. After looking elsewhere, I returned. It felt like coming home to come back to SureStay by Best Western. The folk working here were happy to see me again and I was happy to be here. After finding a home to purchase I stayed until closing time. Everyone (front desk, housekeeping and maintenance) has made me feel so very comfortable. Anything needed or wanted has been seen to promptly. There was one necessary room change, due to maintenance and I was offered a free upgrade on the room and help from the head of housekeeping. Thank you, everyone. Jasmine and Lisa at the front desk, Sherry, Doris, Erika and Shelagh at housekeeping and the maintenance guys (Bill I had the most contact with). A special thanks to the owner, Scott for his kindness during my extended stay. I would, without hesitation recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Presque Isle.
I stayed at the SureStay this weekend and I found it to be a great little hotel with the friendliest employees. They went out of their way to make sure your stay was great. My suite was recently renovated and consisted of two rooms, king bed and great shower head. The best thing is they allow pets. I made sure by little bichon was on her best behavior and they welcomed her with open arms.
I've stayed here a few times and have always had a great stay. The staff here is wonderful!! I haven't had a problem prior to this last stay, but this past stay in 10/19 where the thin walls allowed me to hear my neighbor fully. I could even hear her snoring!!! 1 out of 10 stays I've had this issue, so I imagine it isn't a constant issue.
Each time we stay here, we are amazed at how friendly the staff are. They go above and beyond. They really care about the people who are staying there. When I asked if they had ketchup packets for breakfast, the girl at the front desk apologized and then offered to check the break room! That's service. They also give you the best whoopie pies at check-in!
At first site of this hotel I was not pleased when advised I would be staying there for 2 weeks for a business trip, once inside I must say the room was totally updated and turned out not so bad. The staff was EXCELLENT and I would recommend if your'e in the area and need a hotel, this is your place. For the area, you're in close proximity to the places in this little town
Surestay is located at a very strategic place. Easy to access the high way and not far from the city. Staff service was excellent and the rooms was clean. Would recommend this place if your visiting..
I stayed here while I visited the near by college. The staff was super helpful with any questions I had. Kayla was informative of the area and gave great local restaurant suggestions as well! Goodtimes!
This shiny new place is the former “Budget Traveler” motel in Presque Isle, Maine. It's not a luxury resort or a “destination” in itself, but it is sparkly clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. AND, the place is dog-friendly (as was the Budget Traveler). Not especially common in these parts. If you're looking for a reasonably priced spot to hang your hat while in Presque Isle, and ESPECIALLY if you're traveling with a furry friend, you'll find a very good option at this recently rehabbed motel.
This was booked at the last minute by phone ( due to family emergency) I spoke with Lisa who was very caring from the start. She greeted us when we arrived late and was great! She worked out the best available discount for us, with a smile, as if caring for a good friend- ( complete strangers) The room was nicer than expected. Comfortable bed!! Very clean, the best pillows. We come to Presque Isle often and have not been here before but we will be back.
The local Hilton property was not available for government rate. This hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly. The pillows were nice and the bed comfortable. The only complaint I would have was the lack of towels, only two in the room
Would definitley recommend to others. Staff was very friendly and accommodating even providing us with a new toothbrush as we had forgotten to pack one. Very convenient location. Overall facility was clean as were the guest rooms.
Nice spot, staff is very friendly. Definitely would recommend this spot. Asked for extra supplies at check in and everything was in the room when we return from our afternoon of shopping. There is a drainage problem in the sink but they are supposed to be fixing this in the fall.
Beautiful rooms, great value - and those pillows!! We checked in very late but the front desk staff was there and ready to help. The roim was larger than we expected it to be and very clean. The beds were soooo comfortable and the shower nice and strong. The breakfast offerings were standard and in good shape, and the coffee was good, fresh and hot.
This hotel is located just south of town. There is not any food near by. Plenty of parking, the rooms are small but very clean & updated. The breakfast needs improvement but overall if i needed a place to stay, i would stay there again. There is not alot of choices in this area.
Could not get into another top rated hotel in the area, and learned that there was a restaurant I affiliate in this little town. It was a decent hotel with a good price. Clean room, although the windows are very dirty, perhaps they just haven't gotten around to cleaning windows and doors yet. Walls are very thin, with little effort we could hear the entire conversation of someone in the next room who is talking on her cell phone and we could hear the person who is on the cell phone. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were nice to! The room has a flat screen TV and microwave and a refrigerator. And a coffee maker if you so choose. Good shower pressure and tub works. Slow draining sink in the lavatory which is in the room, not separated from a bathroom. The breakfast did not work for us. We ended up going to a diner in the next town over. But it probably would work for most people who don't mind eating baked goods for breakfast. The yogurt machine was broken. There was mix your own pancakes area and whole fruit and milk. I would stay here again if my first choice wasn't available. It's nice to know that there is an option. I think that this is a new Best Western of Philly yet so it may be taking them some time to get everything up to standard.
We were in Presque Isle for one night and needed to find a hotel that took pets. This hotel was newly renovated. We had a room with 2 queen beds which was a good size room but the bathroom was small. The Beds and pillows were very comfortable and linens were excellent. The sound barries in the walls were not that good as we heard a baby crying at 11PM for quite a while. Breakfast was continental with no hot food but was adequate enough as we are not big breakfast eaters... toast, bagels, english muffins, muffins, pan cakes, juices, cereal, yogurt, fruit. When we checked in at 3PM there was garbage overflowing from the trash cans outside the front door onto the ground.
Room was excellent with a kitchenette, king size bed, a sitting room, satellite TV. Hotel did not have an elevator. Breakfast in the morning was very light, and not a lot of variety. Located right on the main street into town with easy access in and out.
I was very reluctant to book a room at this location as the previous owners of a couple years back had given the place a “bad rap”! You can't imagine my astonishment when I entered the lobby only to find a bright and cheerful decor. The real “kicker” is when I entered my room I would of sworn I was in a “high class” motel like you would find in Vegas! I actually didn't want to checkout two days late!
The hotel was very clean and the from desk was very accomdating. This was a one-night short stay prior to catching a 6AM flight home. Overall my wife and I were very satisfied. The hotel has been updated recently. Unfortunately we departed prior to breakfast hence I cannot provide feedback on it.
The sign changed. The price definitely changed. Not much extra for your money. Maybe upgraded bedding and an expanded breakfast area which had only an apple and black coffee as a possibility for a diabetic. Sugar in everything! Bathroom still tiny but the added curved shower curtain bar made it necessary to tuck in the curtain to use the toilet and still the tissue holder shared the space. Sink was so slow to go down that it was virtually unusable. HVAC was louder than many airports. Waited 15 minutes for a desk clerk to show up for check-in. Not the worst but there are better values for your stay in town (Hampton Inn?)
When we were stuck in Presque Isle because the flight was full we ended up staying at the Best Western Surestay. They were able to accommodate our request for an early check in around noon. Although we were leaving before the breakfast officially started we were told to help ourselves on the way out. Friendly, accomodating staff!
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to finished with remodeling and the hotel is looking good. The room was clean and the location was good for easy access to town and highway.
jasmine was the greatest staff person i have met in a small town motel.she made you want to stay there.our room was small but comfortable and the beds were great.this motel has the best coffee and great pancakes.
Great place to stay. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms are very clean and bright. Breakfast was good and FREE. I would return to this hotel and I highly recommend it. It is in a great location with a good selection of places to eat.
I enjoyed my stay at the SureStay Hotel by Best Western in Presque Isle. The employees were very helpful, friendly, and courteous and the the room was comfortable and clean. I had a restful night's sleep and continued on my trip the next day refreshed and ready to go.
Our stay at SureStay Hotel by Best Western in Presque Isle, Maine was wonderful. When making reservations, Beth was so helpful and provided us with brochures of places to visit and happenings in the area. All the staff was very friendly. They always asked if there was anything they could do for us. They should be the ambassadors for Best Western and all other chains.
Stayed in a King Bed Suite room that was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast selection. Would highly recommend staying at this Best Western when visiting the area.
The hotel is easy to find and a very attractive property. The lobby is warm and welcoming and we had an easy check in. The rooms are spacious and very clean looking. The beds are AMAZING! My friend had stayed here earlier in the year and wanted to stay again just for the comfy bed! Staff was quite friendly and there is a nice continental breakfast room.
Clean, very clean and just a nice place at a good value. I highly recommend this motel. Every thing looked brand new im the 2 different rooms we stayed in. Did i say the rooms are spotless. best value in presque isle.
Sylvia Jasmine and Kayla may not be the newest singing group but surestay should be proud to have them. I arrived there as a walk in using a walker and all three went far above and beyond including bringing me breakfast in bed when I couldn't make it to the breakfast bar. Also they did my laundry when I needed it done in a hurry and brought me ice and water at 3 in the morning among other things. As it was very difficult for me to get around this assistance was invaluable. Room was all white had four pillows and was super comfortable. Considering it had been a very long and exhausting day I slept very well. I cannot give this place anything less than a 10 and I will absolutely return anytime I would need to. Again many thanks.
Breakfast was excellent . A lot of choices and everything was fresh . Staff was amazing and so friendly .The rooms are so clean and bright . Awesome hotel and will stay here again ! I would recommend this place to everyone !
Very clean hotel, friendly staff, and right on the trail, with 24 hour gas pumps, right across the street!!! Ask the staff anything, and our crew did, and they can assist...if not they will certainly find out. Rooms are spotless, beds were comfy, oh and the refrigerators were so clean and not the super mini ones...these were a good size to fit all our beverages. Meet the new owners...they are super nice and energetic....great job!
Would like to thank the the night clerk who checked us in on Friday June 28th. She gave us extra towels and milk for my one old grandson bottle.we arrived late that night. Very helpful. Would stay again.
We had stayed at the former venue several years ago, and we were very pleased at the new look of the hotel. As noted in the ratings, we had no problems with the general categories. They were pet friendly, which was a great calling card as we had to bring our 7-year-old Italian Greyhound on this trip. There was a minor issue on checkout with the billing but was handled appropriately. We did miss the pancake machine, however.
I first stayed at the Presque Isle Best Western in April when they closed the roads due to a winter storm. The hotel, staff and location were so nice, I booked another stay for a recent business trip. Great staff and the location is close to a variety of restaurants and things to do.
Nicely remodeled! Clean and the staff very helpful. Comfortable beds! The bathrooms are tight but that is nothing they can do other than rebuild the place. The complimentary breakfast was great too! Price was very reasonable also. Parking was okay as well, and it was quiet every night.
When I checked in to my room, I thought I was in New York or Europe. Not because of the location, the amenities or the charming decor, but because it was TINY! The photos on TripAdvisor really don't convey how cramped the rooms are. Got toiletries or medications you are used to spreading out on the bathroom countertop when you travel? Leave 'em at home. There is no countertop, just a sink with maybe 3" of surface to precariously balance all your stuff. Similarly, there's no closet or armoire to hang coats or clothes, just a coat rack in the room. And it's by the (tiny) window, you block some of the light coming into the room. There are other problems. The property is set back maybe 80 feet from the main road into and out of PI, so it's noisy. If you're on the first floor, you can hear the conversations in the parking lot right outside your window, and you'll enjoy F bombs galore if you are trying to make phone calls from your room. You will also want the drapes pulled to keep arriving guests from peering into your room. The second floor is likely better, but there is no elevator. Say what? A multi-story modern chain hotel with no elevator? Strange but true. As others have noted, there is next to no noise insulation. Luckily the A/C unit is LOUD, so you can leave the fan running and block out some of the noise from your neighbors. Finally, the lobby has all the charm of the waiting room at your local DMV or VA clinic. All of which is unfortunate, as the owners clearly had their hearts in the right place, and there are some good points about the property. First, PI is a very unusual market, as there is only one hotel from a national chain: the Hampton Inn is a wonderful property, but their room rates reflect all the advantages of monopoly pricing. (I'll stop just short of calling it price gouging, but it's close). The Hampton Inn also sells out A LOT, so travelers to the County really need a competing property. As others have noted, the staff is friendly (although there was no mention of the offered room upgrade others have noted, despite the fact that I am a platinum Best Western Rewards member). The internet is fast. The 43" Samsung TV has Direct TV, a great picture, and it's fast and easy to scroll through channels. Finally, the property is spotlessly clean, no small accomplishment when you are in an agricultural market. But on the whole, the good is overshadowed by the bad. I wish the owners had built from scratch, or renovated a different property. They deserve to be rewarded for the effort they put into this project. But I won't be coming back; the Hampton Inn may cost $50 more per night, but it's worth every penny.
Beginning at check in, Beth was a jewel and accommodated us in every way possible, Manager also greeted us, offered to view the available rooms and they upgraded us to a beautiful suite at no cost. Clean and supplied everything anyone would ever want. Best of the best for comfortable beds, up-to-date air conditioners in every room, even the halls smell fresh and clean. Everyone offers to carry your luggage, maintenance guys are great and the housekeeping staff are phenominal! I never experienced such a friendly, professional and pleasant staff in all my years of travelling. So much so, we went o the florist and purchased a thank you gift which they so appreciated. We visit this quaint little town quite often and would never stay anywhere else than the Surestay BW. Thank you all for making our trip so enjoyable!!!
My sister and I thought we would take a drive to Presque Isle to do a bit of shopping. When we arrived we thought we would check out the hotels and perhaps spend the night. We had stayed at the hotel that was previously on that property, many times and we were not even sure if it was operating any longer. Well, what a pleasant surprise we got when we walked in through the door. The place had been totally 100% upgraded. It is just unbelievable. Comfortable beyond belief. We stayed in one of the suites on the first floor. The desk clerk, Beth was beyond pleasant, as were the cleaning staff and the maintenance crew. We met the owner, and he too is so courteous and was anxious to show us around. The rooms are just amazingly clean and the suite we had was equipped with everything you could imagine. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the coffee is the best, We travel a great deal, and I can honestly say this was one of my most enjoyable overnight stays EVER. I will be staying there again without even a second thought. Highly recommended.
I was blown away at the comfort. The beds were amazing. They even had an assortment of pillows for you to choose from with different thicknesses. I went out for breakfast and a refreshing breeze was blowing in the hallway. It was a beautiful day so they had the windows open. I was told they offer a complimentary continental breakfast. They offered muffins, toasted bagels, fresh pancakes, automatic yogurt dispenser with assorted toppings, several cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and a variety of juices and delicious coffee. I would highly recommend them. Not to mention their customer service and attitude rivals any five star resort.
Recently reopened after SureStay took over and cleaned up. Impressively clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Furniture and appliances worked great. The only drawback in this 2-story building was that when the 2d-floor room above our 1st-floor room was occupied, the sound of steps above our ceiling was very loud. If you don't mind carrying your luggage upstairs (the hotel doesn't have an elevator), I'd suggest a 2d-floor room.
The renovations to this hotel since the last time we stayed there is over the top. The room was so clean and well put together, with an amazingly comfortable bed and nice fluffy big pillows. So clean. We especially liked the heating/air conditioning unit, so easy to use. Breakfast is included and the variety available will start your day out right. Best of all was the hospitality, warmth and friendliness of the staff, just like being at home. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip back. Thanks so much to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant.
Clean room, very very friendly helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again if we're back in the area. Would highly recommend. And they give you whoopie pies when you check in! Great location near town.
Recently renovated, very clean rooms. Beth and staff are always available and very helpful. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Sherry was our housekeeper and maintained our room impeccably. The breakfast was more than enough and very welcoming. We stayed here for two weeks. During our stay we had the privilege of meeting the owner who made certain that our stay was comfortable and we didn't need anything. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
icely renovated former poor to fair hotel. Need to work on resevs & check in. plumbing may need minor attention. unavoidable road noise from Rt 1, better on back side. Very clean & comfy, pretty rural surroundings. High priced but no worse than competition
Would recommend this hotel. Very clean, and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and very pleasant. Very good nights sleep and great breakfast in the morning. A lot of breakfast items to choose from. Loved the pancake maker! Great coffee.
Conveniently located, clean spacious room, good coffee and nice continental breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful from check in to check out. Had a problem with noisy neighbor on first night. Night clerk dealt with it promptly and efficiently. Although it was not the inn's fault, they apologized for the inconvenience and moved me to another room so it would not happen again.
Recently stayed at this hotel for about 8 nights. I can't state it enough that the housekeeping and front staff were helpful and so welcoming. And as a mother of 4, having my bed made and the suite cleaned up daily, as well as the dishwasher run, well it was such a nice surpise. The rooms were large and updated. A full kitchen! I didn't expect it as other long terms I've stayed in definitely paid less attention to those rooms. But not the Sure Stay, we felt safe and comfortable. They have a gym, laundry and breakfast. My only complaint is that they didn't have more hot breakfast options, but with their low pricing, what they did have to offer certainly was fair! Thank you so much for making my transition smooth and peaceful.
My wife and I highly recommend staying at this hotel if your in Presque Isle. The staff were very accommodating, the breakfast which included a pancake making machine was great. The coffee was very good. They have done a great job renovating this hotel.
I arrived about two in the morning. The two ladies were cheerful and enthusiastic about my arrival. The younger lady offered to carry my suitcase to the room. I thanked her, but I turned down her offer. When I checked out two days later, I was surprised to receive a goody bag. I had not mentioned my loyalty membership when I checked in. I am very impressed.
Over the past several months I have found that I sleep well in a nice comfortable new bed. The staff is extremely courteous from the moment I walk in with a warm welcome at check in to my breakfast and checkout in the morning. The first time I stayed was when I noticed how much I was valued as a guest. I mentioned to the staff that the room I had seemed to be a little thin in the wall. I don't know if I just had loud talkers next to me. I was taken at my word and given a different room the following time and subsequently have never had another incident like that. I look forward to hitting my room every week. It is also comforting to know that the owner (Scott) is around quite a bit when I am there. This man is working toward a successful future in this hotel with the renovations and quality staff he has working for him. TO THE STAFF I SAY CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL ON WED.
Owner Scott LeFleur and associate Beth Johndro delivered first rate service, repeatedly, on their own initiative throughout my stay. I arrived on a Tues. night via motorcycle, after riding over 600 miles from White Plains, NY. I was participating in a national motorcycle scavenger hunt event (Tour of Honor tourofhonor.com ), and the last of my 24 destinations was Presque Isle, ME. I was exhausted, chilled to the bone, and ready for rest and a hot meal. Owner Scott LeFleur came out from the rear office to offer his advice on how to arrange for dinner to be delivered to my room. Beth Johndro and the front desk associate provided me with multiple dining choices and their "local advice" on final selection. The next morning, the front desk associate came out to the breakfast area, and asked if I wanted pancakes or any other assistance. Add'l background: I s/w Beth Johndro the week before, explaining my need to ensure availability in the event I made it to Presque Isle to take a picture of a local memorial. She confirmed there were a number of rooms available, and there would be a room for me if I arrived as planned. As it turned out the weather turned unfavorable and I was unable to make the trip as originally planned. But when I arrived a few days into the following week, the local staff delivered the service described above. Beth in particular set an outstanding example of listening to my (customer) needs and doing her best to not only meet, but clearly exceed my expectations. Compliments to owner Scott LeFleur for creating such a terrific culture of customer service and kindness to worn out motorcyclists - it fit right into the Best Western brand, for sure. As a motorcyclist, I ALWAYS head for a Best Western property, because Best Western WANTS motorcyclists to be their customers. So nice to see the Best Western brand come through, even in "remote outposts" like Presque Isle, ME!!!
The staff was very nice and accommodating The room was super clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend and stay there again. The price was also very reasonable. Great Job!
Clean place and a good price. They have done a nice job with renovations. Very pleasant and friendly staff Also very accommodating for a late check out. Have stayed a few times and always happy with our stay
Great stay! I was traveling on business. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good, nothing fancy but a good start for the day. I would recommend Sure Stay if you're traveling in the Presque Isle area.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming even on arrival at 11 PM!! Our stay was warm and cozy in 3 degree weather. The staff was very helpful with recommendations.
My Husband and I had a great stay here! The room was very clean and very attractive! Was a very nice surprise considering this was a room we had to have because we had our dog with us. The staff was very nice and helpful! The continental breakfast was more then i had expected . Very satisfied and will certainly return with pleasure
Very well done, recently remodeled, basic hotel. Best Western never lets us down and this reidence is no exception. The owners know their buines and are hands on and totally committed to insuring the best customer care and experience possible for their guests.
great place to stay .Trail groomed right to the hotel parking lot. Young new owners trying to cater to sledders. Completely renovated hotel with continental breakfast and laundry room for wet snowmobile suits. will match local lodging establishments. Can accomodate large groups parking for 20+ vehicles with trailers
All of the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accomodating on what has been a challenging trip. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. I was visiting UMPI so the location was ideal.
Everything was updated in 2018 and the amenities are very nice. Clean rooms, though some of the details the were cut during the remodel detract from what could have been a great presentation. Things like doors and door frames were left untouched in the remodel and they show their age. For a business traveler or those working on a budget this is an ideal value option! Be mind full, in winter the parking lot is set down from the road a considerable amount making leaving a challenge if there is a recent storm.
My husband and I were headed north for a quick overnight trip and wanted to bring our two small dogs. We were delighted to see that SureStay allowed dogs (up to 80 lbs each) for a $25 fee and refundable $75 deposit if they don't do any damage. We booked the room for a good price and when we arrived in Presque Isle, this was one of the very first hotels we got to on Main Street - so it was very convenient and easy to locate. The staff at the front desk were VERY friendly and helpful, and we were able to check into our room early. Our room was small (we had a single room with one Queen bed), with a very tiny bathroom, BUT, it was clean, comfortable, and very nice for what we needed for the night. They have a free continental breakfast in the morning, though since we don't eat flour or sugar, there wasn't anything we could eat - it was mostly bagels, toast, a cool pancake machine...but my husband was happy to hear that they had coffee available 24 hours a day. We would DEFINITELY stay here again.
Room was clean and nicely furnished. Suite was great for us and the kids. Two rooms with separate tv's and heating/ac units meant the kids could do as they wished. Kitchenette had everything needed to make a quick meal or keep and heat leftovers. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Right next door to UMPI, and close to downtown.
Recently during a storm I had the chance to stay in this newly renovated hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful and had great personalities. The rooms are beautiful and very welcoming. The best part of the stay was the beds for the first time in years I woke in no pain and that is great. This place is a great stay for the price as well. I plan on staying again. Thank you SureStay
Several snow club members needed a place to stay. SureStay got us the rooms we needed at a group rate and upgraded one room at no charge to a suite so we had a place to assemble after riding hours. Their onsite breakfast nook was perfect as we ate the other meals on the trail. Great, accomodating staff at a perfect location.
This was our first time staying at a SureStay and it did not disappoint. Perfect location right next to UMPI, exceptionally friendly staff, and newly renovated rooms with new beds - We slept like babies! Thanks guys, we'll be back!
Had a wonderful weekend filled with friendly efficient staff, cozy beds, very clean newly renovated rooms, and a wonderful breakfast! Conveniently located to all amenities! Will definitely be back!!!!
I had a great stay at this hotel. My room was newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and professional. Rates are well-priced. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to family and friends.
I recently stayed at this hotel with my family and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Newly renovated and you can tell that the beds are new! Pretty basic gym, but really all you need for a workout away from home.
The hotel met all our needs. It was very clean. We had a suite with a kitchenette and plenty of room. The bed had a very comfortable mattress. The hotel was convenient to the Bluegrass Festival (indoor) we were attending nearby. The staff were professional and very helpful. We had a great weekend.
I picked this hotel as I had heard it was fully renovated and converted to a Best Western. The room was beautiful. Everything looked brand new and spotless. Bed seemed brand new as well and was very comfy! The room and the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Very impressed with the quality overall and will definitely stay again if I am ever back in town.
Great value! Hotel is newly renovated, rooms are clean. We enjoyed having access to a fitness centre. Breakfast was great, standard hotel fare, but was nice to have included. Thank you for your hospitality!
This is the first time returning to this hotel after the upgrade. Enjoyed the excellent staff, the room cleanliness and comfort. One of the former downstairs room/apartment was turned into a fitness center and has adequate equipment to satisfy the traveler. We were impressed with Veronica, who was the front desk employee who checked us in. She was cordial, and changed our room to a ground floor as needed. She offered us assistance to bring in luggage, it was appreciated.
This was the first time we stayed at a SureStay Hotel by Best Western. This hotel was up to the standards and did not fail us in our trip to the start of US1 in Maine (Ft Kent). Front desk staff was very professional and very friendly. The hotel is under new management and is in transition so when we got up the worker bees were buzzing, but we did not hear them until we got out in the hall. Breakfast was the standard fair but the staff was friendly which is a BIG PLUS for traveling. Smiles always start the new day, thank you.
I stayed in this hotel about 20 years ago for a Lions Convention, and I could hardly recognize it this week. It has been completely renovated! The outside looked bright and new, but the interior re-design and quality are amazing! You are greeted with a beautiful entrance lobby with fireplace and adjoining breakfast and lunch room. The rate we paid was considerably lower than any hotel in town, and we all thought it was belter than the more expensive one we had stayed at last year. New Fitness Centre in the basement which I used every day, brought my own Ipad for tunes. Hot Continental breakfast was included in the room cost, and friendly Christina was there to make waffles, pancakes,, bagels or toast for you. All day free coffee, and coffee machine in the rooms. we were there for a sad family event, having siblings coming from all over North America, even though we were sad and exhausted, Scott, the owner, Sylvia, Kai, and Jim the maintenance guy went out of their way to help us and accommodate our needs. Hotel staff were amazingly friendly and understanding. The entire hotel was great, staff were wonderful, price a delightful surprise, but the best thing about the hotel was the beds. Nice and high numerous pillows and luxurious sheets. Took about five minutes to drop off into Dreamland. My family and I highly recommend the Sure Stay Best Western in Presque Isle, Maine.
We had a sudden death in the family and our original accommodations fell through. The staff here set up 4 rooms for us very easily and were very pleasant and helpful. A decent breakfast is available every morning as well.
