    « Excellent location »

This hotel is in an excellent location, just 15 mins walk from the square, Charles bridge etc. 10 minuets from the metro. Our room was a large spotless and quiet. Breakfast was nice with a good selection. The reception staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help you. If I return to Prague I would stay here again.

« simple but very friendly and central hotel »

Very good prices, a simple hotel but perfect for the very central location: it's close to every important place to see in the center, from Vaclavské Namesti to the Old City, and also Mala strana and castle are not faraway. Try the old beer house U Fleku just close to the hotel.

    « Good location »

Rooms clean, well serviced - ask for quiet room at back of hotel. Well placed for touring on foot the main sightseeing spots. Plenty of local restaurants nearby. Breakfast is well provided, plenty of choice, enough to start the day well!

    « Great Hotel »

Hotel Pav is situated within easy walking distance to the centre of Pragues old town. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The beds are comfortable if a little low. Bathrooms large and modern and again extremely clean. The staff in the hotel are polite and very helpful, giving directions to places of interest. The breakfast had both hot and cold selections and were on a self service base, meats , cheeses, tomatoes, cooked sausages, bacon and egg. Very filling and fresh. The hotel is just done the road from the river and a short walk to the Charles Bridge. Then the walk into the square is about 10 minutes. We were in Prague with friends for the Christmas Markets, the stalls were very busy but well worth the visit. Hotel Pav has a bar in the hotel and is also close to a couple of nice restaurants with reasonably priced foods. There are also a number of small bars close to the hotel with a good choice of Czech beers and spirits. I would recommend this hotel if you wish to visit Prague and its polite and courteous staff.

    « Clean, nice location »

The location of this hotel is in a nice spot. Rooms are nice and clean. Fairly modern. Staff was pleasant and helpful when asked. Easy to find in a city where a lot of buildings do look similar! I would stay here again.

« Good location, friendly staff »

We stayed three nites and we were triple sharing. Our room was spacious and the beds and pillows were comfortable. I agree with the comments from other reviewers i.e. to take higher floors because it can be noisy at night. There are many pubs around the hotel. Convenience store is just across the hotel and you can also find nice places to eat nearby. The hotel is within walking distance of most tourist attraction in Prague...that's a plus point but if you need to take the public transport, underground or tram stops are nearby

« good location and great value for money »

The location is good in walking distance to all main places like Dancing House, Charles Bridge, Mala Strana, Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were big and clean. The breakfast were good with a wide variety of food and well prepared. Great value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

    « Nice »

Visited this hotel for 3 nights very clean hotel comfy beds huge pillows and very friendly staff, the hotel is just south of the main tourist area but within easy walking distance we would definitely visit again

« iStayAt. BEST WESTERN Hotel Pav, Prague »

Best Western Hotel Pav Prague My second journey, second residence and first time in Prague. During my time in Prague I booked a 4 nights stay at the Best Western Hotel Pav. This hotel isn't a high-class 4-star residence, but a decent 3-star. Great location The hotel is located in a quiet and less touristic part of Prague. Nevertheless, it's still in the city center and only a 5-minute walk from the shopping street ?na p?íkop??. The same could be said about some of the sight-seeing attractions, for instance the famous Charles Bridge only a 15-minute walk. Wondering where the nearest metro stop is? It's situated just before the shopping street ?na p?íkop??, approximately a 5 to 10-minute walk. But let's be honest, who needs public transport if the taxis are unbelievable CHEAP!? From Václav Havel Airport to the hotel Before I arrived at Václav Havel Airport I already pre-booked a private airport transfer with Sky Transfer. One of the advantages of booking such an airport transfer is the little chit-chat you'll have with a local driver from Prague. The trip from the Airport to the hotel took me about 15 minutes, quiet fast! Total cost of a single trip was € 20 and for a return it was around € 38 (1100 czk). The hotel Like I said before I wasn't expecting a high-class 4-star hotel, so I was already prepared on the unexpected. But I have to say I was pretty overwhelmed by the excellence of the hotel, ok maybe I'm a little bit exaggerating. But for instance the interior wasn't outdated but really modern in it's own way. I guess the best way to describe the overall style of the hotel would be a little bit of RETRO-ISH. Staff Yet again I brought my lucky charm with me. The staff of the hotel were so kind, polite and friendly. During my check-in I had a question about the nearest Vodafone store and some must-go-to places to visit. They gave me a map, circled some spots and explained to me where the nearest Vodafone store was located. The same could be said about the helping maids. They were very friendly and helpful, I even ended up giving them some CZK because of the great cleaning service they provided. Simplicity After my check-in I could directly go to my room. The room was located on the third floor and was situated at the front-side of the hotel. I have to say the room was enormous compared to what I'm used to. The retro style from the hotel was also noticeable in the room. The bed really looked like something straight out of the 80's, but it was very comfortable. The bathroom is best described as a standard one, nothing special though. This room was all about simplicity and they accomplished in expressing that. Overall My stay in the Best Western Hotel Pav is definitely one to remember. I never could have imagined that the hotel, including the service, was going to be this excellent. I definitely got more service compared to what I've paid, AWESOME! Due to this I'm really wondering how a 4-star hotel would be in Prague. Guess I'll have to find that out somewhere later this year? For those who are looking for a hotel with a low-budget, great location and helpful staff. I really recommend you to at least consider your stay at the Best Western Hotel Pav in Prague.

    « Great value »

Have just returned from a long weekend stay at this hotel and will try to keep this brief.... Good points...... Excellent VFM Clean Well presented Excellent accommodation Great location ( approx ten min walk from old city and Charles Bridge ). Not so good points... Not enough seating in restaurants At breakfast, breakfast is continental style but if you want trad English breakfast there are plenty of reasonable priced places to eat close by. Had to asked for tea and Cream sachets to be replaced in room Everyday, toilet rolls not replaced. Overall the staff at reception are friendly and helpful however some do come across as though we are there for there convenience and not the reverse. On a final note we had a room overlooking the Main Street and as its a popular area for pub/restaurants it can get very noisy outside til the early hours, ask for a room at the rear of the hotel ( must say though the room itself was excellent ). That said I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay and would have no hesitation in staying there again.

    « hotel pav »

good location and excellent staff and hotel clean and tidy /room excellent /facilities in hotel excellent /good price all round hotel close to the old town and Charles bridge 10mins walking easy for trams as well

    « Hotel Pav »

Now I would give this a good in the ratings , we didn't spend much time in there other than breakfast , a few drinks ,then sleeping , we were out all day and all evenings, it's a good base , it's clean , staff were good and helpful , breakfast was the usual buffet style and fare . If you want an older , fancier ,character style place look else where , but if you want a good base for a city break this is fine , we had no complaints and would stay here again .

    « Basic »

Went to Prague for the Christmas market and a treat before Christmas. Prague itself is so beautiful, you will not regret going. However, do not stay at this particular hotel unless you don't mind basic accommodation. A very dark and dull hotel, more atmosphere and things to do in a travel lodge. We just used it as a base. There are so many beautiful hotels in this city. Don't waste your money on this one. X

« Great value for money »

My wife and I came back from a great city break yesterday having stayed here for three nights. The rooms were big, the staff polite, comfortable beds and very clean throughout. We didn't eat in the hotel and, while breakfast was included, it wasn't our cup of tea (not many pastries or, of course, anything that came close to a full English), we just went out and found breakfast elsewhere and, given the low price of the hotel, it seems too harsh to mark it down for that. We'd highly recommend it.

    « Value for money »

Great spot, right in the downtown of Prague, descent breakfast, the room was great, the bathroom excellent, very clean, personel seemed not in the best mood. This hotel is perfect for those who want to make looong walks and return in a descent shelter

« Last minute short break »

Great hotel for a short break. Ideally situated for all that the city has to offer whether on foot or using public transport. Staff were very friendly especially Martin on reception. Good variety on offer at breakfast - varied every day we were there. The hotel offers transport to and from the airport - not the cheapest on offer but reliable and prompt. My only criticism was that the room was very hot and if we opened the window it was noisy in the morning. Eventually we turned off the bathroom radiator and that helped - certainly didn't need thermal pyjamas!!

« Close to city center with amenities »

My 14 night stay commenced on January 11. The Best Western Hotel Pav has a very good staff with Robert as manager. This includes the housekeeping personnel, food and drink services, security, and the front desk. The morning meal provided an added positive that came with the stay. The room was large and quiet and also comfortable. Valuable information was provided that benefited my stay in Prague by all. The Best Western Pav is situated in a safe section of the city, which is, for the most part, quite safe, The value of the trip was unbeatable in terms of cost and experiencing that which is new. The tram is nearby as are numerous eating and drinking establishments. The laundry service does good work and is fast. The hotel gets a prodigious plus and made travel congruous with a well spent 14 night vacation. I will recommend the Best Western Pav to family members and friends. The city is magnificent. The only caution would be to be careful around uniformed groups who are not members of the local police department. I noticed personally that their training was lacking, big time. But the hotel itself gets a Blue Ribbon. The girl who checked me out when I left after my 14 night stay was especially nice and a credit to Best Western.

« In the heart of Prague »

Although a bit off Standish at first, the front desk staff was fast to accommodate a room change to the top floor suite. The hotel is very clean and suites are newly appointed. Suite air-conditioning worked very well, which is unusual for European Aircon. Despite a very full and crammed breakfast area, breakfast is very well stocked with fresh local and international choices. Above all, the hotel is ideally located by the river and all the attractions. My only issue is that the front desk staff requires customer service training. Very, very good value.

    « Excellent staff »

This hotel has been managed exactly the way all hotels should be. In addition to highly professional staff the whole place is smartly designed, very clean and comfortable, has great art on the walls, and the breakfast is as good as can be. There should be no complaints. The rooms facing the street do have traffic but the front desk will inform you of that when you check in. We were very pleased. The proximity to the major sights is a bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. We will be back!

    « Great hotel »

Lovely hotel....great location....friendly helpful staff...we have stayed here three times already the location is great just a short walk over to the charles bridge and into the centre of Prague...the rooms are clean and very comfortable....the breakfast is nice but to be honest it can get a bit busy in the morning and if theres a group of you can be a bit tricky to find a seat together but overall would definately recommend.

    « Perfect Location!! »

Really perfect location stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and everything is 5-10min walk from the hotel; charles bridge, metro & tram access, shops, Lots of near-by bars and even Nebe club which is on the other side of the street, good ambiance & music there. Breakfast was always nice lots of choice.

« Good location for visiting the city »

Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and speak a number of languages. Great breakfast with good selection of food although very busy each morning. We had a room for 1 week during October 2015. The room was located on the 3rd floor to the front of the hotel. The noise from the street was just too much and continued with revelers singing, shouting and even breaking bottles past 3 am every night! Ensure you get a room to the rear if you decide to stay at the Hotel Pav.

    « Great Location »

Loved that this hotel was on the edge of Old Town, in New Town. Easily walkable to attractions and explored spots in New Town that weren't on the main maps. The room was comfortable. There was no thermostat you could control but if it got warm you could open the window or door to balcony. Has a small bar. Only food available are microwave Paninis after the breakfast. Plenty of restaurants close by as well as a couple mini-markets so not a big deal. The free breakfast was okay. Nothing extraordinary and only ate at it twice in 11 days as there are so many great breakfast places around. Good value for the money.

    « Awesome breakfast »

breakfast I have ever seen!! So many choices and flavours!! I loved it! The hotel is clean and has very comfortable beds and pillows. It is located next to a mall and supermarket and 15 min away from the old city. The rooms are provided with hairdryer, nail file ( important for us women), water boiler and free coffee and water! I highly recommend it!

« Great location, great value »

Stayed in this hotel for one night and loved it. The staff was friendly and was knowledgable about transport to the airport. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was great as we were able to walk to all attractions easily. They also give you a voucher for food which was great! Would stay here again!

« Great little hotel - well worth the money with excellent location »

Stayed here for 3 nights in November. The location is absolutely fantastic - right next door to U Fleku - one of the oldest if not the oldest restaurant in Prague, and easily walkable to buses and trams to take you to the sights. Our room was in the attic (lifts available, so no problem) and was very modern, light and airy. Comfortable bed, great shower. Breakfast room probably a bit too small, as the hotel seemed to be pretty full, but there was an overflow area. Good selection of food including cereals, pastries, cheeses, cold meats and cakes. Also some hot food including sausages, bacon and a rather odd bread pudding! Ate our dessert at the little restaurant one evening - apple strudel and hot raspberries - delicious! Also had some of the house wine - which was extremely reasonably priced. Staff all very helpful and we would definitely choose to stay here again.

« Great Location and value for money. »

Stayed for 2 nights in snow covered Prague.Hotel ideally located for Old Town and close to Charles Bridge.Rooms were nice and warm and an excellent filling breakfast included in cost.Even better,Hotel is next to U Fleku Bar and Restaurant, great atmosphere and also value for money.

    « Great Basic Hotel »

If you are looking for a hotel within easy walking distance of main town, this one is great. A very clean, tidy & reasonably priced hotel. Beware of the city tax, 15 Czech crowns per person per night. Hotel arranged airport transfer, which made everything so easy. Would definitely recommend

« all you need from a city break hotel »

we stayed at the Hotel Pav for a 2 nights in January on arrival check in was friendly efficient and speedy. We stayed in a first floor room which had lovely high ceilings and was adequately furnished the bonus of memory foam beds was unexpected and a first for me (I can confirm extremely comfortable!) The bathroom was spacious and well lit both rooms were spotless and despite snow and low temps outside both were extremely warm. Free WiFi in the hotel was actually better and quicker than my home! we had drinks in the bar downstairs which although not luxurious was more than adequate and the drinks were on a par with town price wise, all top brands and EU measures not UK! our room (115) was directly above the breakfast room and scraping of chairs could be heard in the morning but to be honest it just meant we didn't oversleep and miss the breakfast service which finished at 10am if you are a light sleeper you may want to avoid this room. Breakfast was well prepared and a good selection, eggs, bacon, cold meats cereal etc etc. tables cleared by staff promptly and again the whole area was extremely clean. when we checked out and arrived at the airport we discovered we had left an expensive item of clothing in the wardrobe we emailed the hotel from the airport and they confirmed it had been found and handed in (wish every hotel was this honest) the hotel have returned the item to us by post within a couple of days of our notifying them, fantastic service. overall an extremely good city break hotel no frills but actually all you need as we were out all day, not sure if this is standard in Best Western Hotels or if we were just lucky but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when we next visit Prague if you do stay here I would recommend trying out The Funky Bee Cocktail bar just a little way down from the hotel, fab cocktails and great staff who will fix you up your favourite or create one of his signature cocktails (try the Gimlet it became my new fave) the Old Fashioned was quite potent as was the one with chilli (got quite a kick!)

« Great location in beautiful Prague »

Prague, A beautiful city with a lot of history, culture and shopping.. The hotel location is perfect for all.. We love to walk the cities we visit as we feel it that way better then behind a window of a bus.. For those who rather move on wheels (Or have to) The hotel is 3 min. walk to a main station (Trams & the B line underground) Walking - 20 min. walk to the Palladium Mall (200 stores) 12 min. walk to Charles Bridge (Karl?v most) and just 30 min. walk to Prague Castle.. And so on.. Clean, nice rooms.. Nice breakfast.. Fair price.. Enjoy. Slider

« Lovely Hotel in a beautiful city »

My partner and i stayed in this hotel for three nights as a anniversay stay. The hotel was lovely modern clean and central. The best part was it snowed the whole time which gave prague a magical feel as also all their christmas trees and decorations were still up aswell as their christmas market still on. The hotel was close to all amenaties, theres trams stops and train stations near by but we walked most of the time and also used the hop on hop off bus, prague is very cheap, our three course meals for two with four beers and one coffee came to around £23 english money, would very much reccomend prague and this hotel

    « Noisy! »

Hotel is nicely located in New Town; it's an easy walk and even easier tram ride to anywhere. HOWEVER, we had a room on the fourth floor facing the street. Across the street there are 2 or 3 nightclubs/bars that close between 2 and 4 am, depending on the day. If you have a street-facing room, do not expect to sleep until after these venues close each evening - the narrow street makes for near perfect acoustics. Not only could we hear loud drunken conversations, we could understand each word almost perfectly, too!

« Very well situated and suitable »

We stayed in this hotel few days before Christmas and we could walk everywhere from here. It is in centre of town and the room is basic but clean and suitable. Breakfast was ok and overall a satisfactory hotel. Will stay there again if I go to Praque because of where its situated...

    « Nice stay »

Clean hotel at a nice location. We changed hotel half-way through our stay, and if I go back I'll rather stay here than 100 a block away from the Charles Bridge as we did first. Still short distances, but some more silence around the hotel and access to shops with normal prices outside the door. (Not about the hotel itself, but KLM recommended a beer place we realized was in the same building. It was disappointing.)

« A real gem in the heart of Prague. »

We have stayed here for 5 nights over the New Year. A lovely hotel, spacious rooms, very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And always have a smile and hello when the pass. The only fault we could find was in the breakfast area. Not enough seating to accommodate all the guests.

« Excellent hotel in great location »

We spent 5 nights here in mid December 2015 (only just getting round to writing a review) and the hotel is a perfect base. Its location is superb and we were able to walk everywhere (and we went to every major site during our 6 day stay). The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The bath was surprisingly large and double ended. The breakfast was brilliant, fresh and varied every day. The staff all spoke perfect English and were helpful and friendly. Charles bridge is 10 minutes away, old town square 15min, Prague castle 25min away. There are also several good restaurants and bars right on the hotels doorstep. Would highly recommend and I'm hoping to return later this year.

    « Spacious Room »

It was a nice hotel with spacious room and free wi-fi internet. The location was okay, we liked to walk along the river before to sunset back to hotel. The breakfast was nice, many selection to choose. The woman at the reception was unfriendly and tried to avoid if guest talked to her in English but the others are great. The others front staff were great and helpful. It was very noisy at night, especially if your room situated face to the street.

    « Short break »

We have just returned from a lovely three night stay at Hotel Pav. We had arranged transfers from the airport with the hotel and the driver was very polite and friendly. We received a warm welcome from the staff at reception and were given directions to the nearby restaurants and sites. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from the Old Town but it is a beautiful walk along the river. In previous reviews I've seen guests mention that the rooms were noisy, the wifi wasn't very good and the water pressure was poor. We stayed in room 302 on the third floor, facing the main road and didn't experience any problems. The wifi was not speedy but was enough to check emails etc. There was little to no noise and the shower was always fine. The room itself was huge. Overall Hotel Pav is a great base to go exploring around Prague.

« Enjoyed My Stay Here »

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The facility is lovely and nostalgic. The rooms are comfortable, the service is polite and the morning breakfast is more than adequate. The room rates are fairly reasonable for the location and the quality of the experience. I was in Prague for a conference and needed a place that offered a decent rate. The hotels close to the conference center were a bit too expensive. While the location of this facility was not perfect with respect to proximity to the conference, it worked quite well as far as proximity to amenities. I am also a Best Western Diamond member and am generally drawn to properties in this chain. I arrived in Prague via air. The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was 900 CZK. The driver had no problem at all finding the hotel even though it was off the beaten path. The external appearance was consistent with the historic neighborhood. The lobby was a bit small with sparse seating but it was also well kept. The bar was off the lobby and the breakfast room was down the hall. I was checked in quickly by a polite front desk agent who assigned me a room on the 5th floor. This suited me well. Upon arrival, I found my room to be clean and adequately spacious. The slanted ceiling conferred a different feel to the room that gave it a unique ambiance. The decor was basic but pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the environs were quiet allowing me to get good sleep. The bathroom was unusually spacious which made things more convenient. The work space was also more than adequate and the WiFI functioned fairly well during my stay. The location turned out to be a highly positive feature. There were several dinner options were within walking distance. Many of the attractions of Prague were also within a 15- or 20-minute walk. The subway was also within a five-minute walk. Breakfast was included in my room rate. I was happy enough with the offerings as there were a few hot dishes as well as the standard cold items such as cereals, breads, yogurt and fruit. The coffee was decent as well. The room rate was reasonable for the quality of the facility and the location. My average room rate was 3447 CZK including tax. This was about $141.50 USD per night. Considering the rates of the alternative choices at the time, this was a great bargain. Overall, this place is an excellent option as a base for either business or leisure in Prague. The location is well placed and the facility is quite nice. The rooms are more than adequate, the service is polite and helpful and the morning breakfast provides a good start to the day. The room rate is very good for the quality of the product they offer meaning that it is an excellent bargain. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for a stay in this lovely city.

« One of the best hotels in area »

    « Brilliant budget hotel »

Some friends and I booked this hotel as we decided as long as we had somewhere clean to stay, close to the attractions we were not too fussed about our hotel. It more than met our expectations, three friends stayed in a large triple room with generous shower room. I and another friend stayed in a generous twin room not far away. All of the amenities were as described online. There was plenty of choice for breakfast the 5 of us were able to eat together the first day and were separated in 2 groups the second day as the breakfast room was small. There was always plenty of food so not sitting together didn't seem too bad- if it was a problem we should have got up earlier! The early bird etc Staff were always friendly and helpful. We found a great deal and for the price we paid we couldn't have asked for better. I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel for another stay in Prague

    « Romantic easy hotel »

Good location close to main attractions, such as Dancing House. Charles Bridge and Old town hall are all in walking distance. Average breakfast and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff and safe area. However, shower water pressure is very weak and mattresses should be replaced.

« Great location, quiet rooms »

The location of this hotel is ideal for exploring the town of Prague. It was a busy place the weekend we stayed, but inside the rooms noise from adjoining rooms did not carry. It is surrounded by some excellent, inconspicuous-looking restaurants. Breakfast offered a wide variety of food. Our room was cold, our daughters' was not. Wifi was weak in our room as well, and water pressure - if that matters to you - was terrible. However, it was a good place to stay, close to all attractions and tram lines.

« Great location for exploring »

Clean and comfy hotel, staff were very helpful in answering any questions we had. Large warm rooms. Breakfast was ok, there was something for everyone. Ideal location for exploring on foot . I would stay here again.

« NIce hotel in the old town »

Wouldn't give much from the outside, but this nice hotel in the city center offer a friendly staff, nice rooms, well working wifi, a copious breakfast and a little bar. They also organized me airport transfer at a small extra fee. Highly recommended if travelling with an eye on the wallet.

« Comfortable and good value »

Pleasant hotel in a quiet location. Good buffet breakfast but not great for those trying to be healthy! Very clean and comfortable rooms and for the price think it is excellent value. Very efficient check-in and out.

« Ideal location near the city centre. »

Just a 20 min. stroll into the city past plenty of shops, restaurants and bars, this hotel is an ideal base for a break in Prague. The hotel is in a quiet street just of a main road. The hotel is very clean, the staff are helpful and courteous. The hotel was very warm and the rooms clean and very tidy. This is a hotel we will be returning to in the near future.

« Good Hotel in Prague City Center »

Best western prave is located in a very good location in prague city center. Almost all touristic centers are reachable through walking. Good food and clubs could be found bearby. The room was clean and comfortable. Also the staff were helpful. I will stay again in best western prav if I take trip to prague again.

    « Lovely Break »

Booked for a three night stay. Our room was on the 5th floor and was huge. Separate toilet and shower room, main sleeping area, dressing room, single bed upstairs and a balcony. Everywhere was spotless, lovely soft fluffy towels, tea tray and all you would need. All the staff were very pleasant and so helpful, even laughed at my mad moments. The breakfast was not to my taste, only because I do not like cheese, but my husband enjoyed all he ate and there was wide variety to choose from. Prague is a beautiful place, loads to see, great choice of places to dine out and big choice of bars. Even the weather was kind to us, crispy cold but sunny. Thankyou to all at Best Western Hotel for a lovely stay.

« Good value for money »

Rooms are average size, with tea and coffee facilities, very clean and well presented, breakfast is included in price, some road noise but nothing to horrendous. There is a lack of English channel on the TV, with just CNN news.

We were a party of 4 that stayed at the Best Western Hotel in Prague from the 3rd of Dec to the 6th of Dec. We were very pleased with our stay, and the hotel was clean and very presentable. The breakfast was plentiful, with a good choice of different food, and the rooms were comfortable if a little hot! Free wifi was available throughout the hotel, and the staff were very friendly and arranged transfers to and from the airport. It was only around 7-10 minutes walk to the main square with many good shops and local bars. Overall very nice place to stay and very reasonable price. Had we known this in advance, we would have walked across the Charles Bridge and taken the open top red cars that take you for a tour around the city, as they showed us many interesting places that we would have liked to have seen more of, such as breweries, good places to eat and popular tourist places, such as the Grand Castle. Price was around £10 each, but would have saved us a lot of walking around and would have enable us to maximise our time there.

« Great hotel for a weekend break in Prague »

This hotel offers good, spacious and clean rooms with private bathrooms on a superb location, just outside the historic city. The location is on walking distance to the famous historic places and to public transport like tram or metro. Breakfast is good and sufficient choice; breakfast room a bit small for the capacity of the hotel.

    « i love praha »

very nice hotel... very clean rooms... excellent breakfast..... excellent location only 10 min on foot from the old town square. the bed was perfect big and comfortable... around the hotel thera are many places with perfect food and delicious drinks.

« Nice clean basic hotel »

Stated here for 4 nights for the Prague Christmas markets (which incidentally I thought were the worst ones we have visited over the years). Check in was painless and advised by a lady of the breakfast times etc, however had to hand our bank card details for anything we used while we stayed. Was also given a few vouchers etc for meals and tours which I thought was a nice touch. Room 304, clean tidy and basic, didn't want anything to fancy as whilst on these trips we don't spend a lot of time in the room. Bed - a little on the soft side for me, and pillows were huge but again very soft. I contacted reception on our first night for two additional pillows which were sent up to our room promptly with no problems. A couple of times our room wasn't made up when we got back after a long walk around Prague returning around 18.00pm which didn't matter as anything you needed towels, toilet rolls etc, you could just ring reception and they would bring to you. Breakfast was fine with the usually bread, meats, fruits, yoghurt, bacon, sausage toasties and some prague breakfast cuisine, carrot and peas and some kind of garlic boiled potatoes which was served from 07.30am. Basically a lovely stay, at the front of the building it was rather noisy at times due to the pub next door meaning you couldn't always have your window open, but that didn't matter. Would/have recommended to others and would stay again if ever in Prague.

I booked one of the cheap rooms (#3) 50 euro per night. Room was ok, simple and on a smaller size. However it was loud from the kitchen employees way into the night. Breakfast was above average, not bad. Good location, about 10-15 min walk to center

    « Great Hotel »

Great hotel for a break close to the main tourist areas but a quiet location. Lots of nice local bars and restaurants close by. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Our room was nice and very clean just like the rest of the hotel. Would certainly recommend it and would use it the next time we go to Prague.

« Pav is the place to stay :-) »

We loved the look of the Hotel Pav when we booked it, but loved it even more when we got there and saw it in person. Apart from it being in a perfect location for all the you want to do in spectacular Prague, it offers a professional but warm atmosphere. The friendliness, helpfulness and attentiveness of all the staff makes you feel like you are the only person staying there. The cleanliness is also excellent you will see the lovely housekeepers around and about day and night. Our room was superb and offered all the little extras that you may need to make use of. The breakfast is also brill, there is a vast choice of continental breakfast, and a very good choice of drinks - having experienced breakfast at the Hotel Pav we cannot agree with the negative opinions that have been posted about it. If we are lucky enough to return to the magnificent city of Prague the Hotel Pav would be the only place we would stay.

« Superb comfort at a reasonable price »

This charming hotel conveniently located near Narodni Trida Station and Mall (5 mins on foot) certainly deserves a 5 on TripAdvisor. The staff at the reception is friendly and welcoming, while even allowing early check in at no cost 2 hours prior to stipulated time as availability permits. Room at block A is spacious (and so is the toilet in terms of European standard). Breakfast had great variety, featuring some Czech buns etc. Only down side is that the street has some pubs nearby (not a problem for others who enjoy nightlife). Will definitely return again when visiting Praha.

    « Fantastic Hotel »

We were warmly welcomed here by the reception staff who give us lots of tips, brochures and discount vouchers for nearby restaurants when checking in. The room was lovely, spacious and warm. Breakfast was very good and it definitely had something for everyone. All the staff we met during our 4 day stay were very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities were not provided in the room but within ten minutes of asking reception for them, staff had brought them to my room. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « great location »

Arrived at hotel by a company called Suntransfer à very reliable company and cheaper than normal taxi. We were greated by very friendly staff who very quickly got us to our room. Room very good and clean also warm plenty of hanging space and a large comfy bed also very quiet, rooms were cleaned every day and change of towels also rooms are aquipt with hair dryer and a safe of which you create your own pass word. Breakfast very mixed something for everyone. Location good out of main doors turn right head down street turn right again head straight to bottom turn right again your on your way to Charles bridge and Jewish quarter s, if you turn right from leaving hotel to bottom of street then turn left you will see big sandy coloured building follow this around cross road pass banks and McDonald's your on your way to Wenceslas square and old square many ways to see every thing also on way to Charles bridge over 1st bridge this will take you to hunger steps and petrin tower best advice just walk . drink and food prices vary. Also don't use little yellow boths to change money as they can charge 28% as hotel pav charges aprox 8% which is not to bad had great 1st time in Prague and would stay at hotel pav again . visited 12/11/15 to 15/11/15 thank you for pleasant stay

Great base to explore prague from . Great little modern clean friendly hotel .close to bars shops and restaurants :) close to local ammeneties bars shops pubs and great link to the local metro and bus services

« Excellent hotel, well located and we will return.... »

Had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Hotel Pav in Prague a couple of weeks ago and was well pleased with the place. It is an ideal location for exploring the delights of Prague and within walking distance of all the local sights. It was clean and well presented, don't let some of the grafitti in the streets put you off, it's all over Prague and is in no way a reflection of this hotel or indeed the area. Breakfast was always a pleasing experience, plenty of food and drink available, never felt like they were skimping on food. Staff were always pleasant and spoke English well and were very helpful when it came to working out the local tram system. Will definitely go back to the same hotel as a first choice if available next time we visit.

    « Perfect City Base »

We stayed at this hotel recently for 3 nights. Found it to be in a central location 2 streets back from the river. Very clean bedroom & bathroom- quiet location. Breakfast was very nice One day it seemed more busier than usual so we didn't wait for a table & left. Breakfast room could do with being larger to cope with customers. However overall would recommend this hotel in a beautiful city.

« Tram ride away from centre »

Hotel is down a side street, it is 4 or 5 stops away from square on the number 14 trolley bus, The hotel is clean rooms are very hot even with the heating turned down beds are very comfortable breakfast is a bit strange to say the least unless you like vegetables, there are a few bars and restaurants in the vicinity, we found a very nice small bar at the top of the street called Charleys for cheap wine and beer well worth a visit

    « Cheap and cheerful »

Hotel has a great location, with bars and restaurants around if you want to stay local. Room on 4th floor a decent size, memory foam beds very comfortable, however a musty smell in the bathroom, that said I can't fault cleanliness. I wouldn't bother with breakfast, I know how challenging it is trying to cater to many nationalities, the food is edible, however the room is cramped, spare yourself the hassle and visit the bakery at the end of the street. Overall fair for the price and walkable to all of the main attractions.

« Clean and Friendly Service »

Not the easiest hotel to find on a dark night but, once there, a very welcoming receptionist soon booked us in. Room was very clean and surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was very varied and could .not be faulted ( very unusual machine for making fresh toast). Would not hesitate to book here again.

    « Lovely hotel - excellent value »

We had a huge room with a lovely clean en-suite. Breakfast was huge and plentiful. The staff were all lovely and friendly - they even made us a breakfast package for the day we had to leave to catch a train before breakfast. Great location just outside the main city centre, loads of nice pubs and restaurants in the vicinity and just a short walk to the main old town.

« Perfect for weekend stay »

Good size room with comfortable beds & excellent pillows. Bathroom larger than expected with shower cubicle and soap & shower body/hair wash provided. Clean throughout hotel & although not a massive choice for breakfast it was perfectly adequate. Good location as not noisy at night. Staff speak good English and are pleasant and helpful. Small bar for drinks. Only negative was the shower was not very powerful but overall would recommend this hotel.

    « Well satisfied overall. »

Staff & service V.G. Breakfast fresh, varied and plentiful. A1 locale. Sad room. Reading light head fell off flextube, exposed wire (IKEA not commercial grade) Wardrobe tilted, door opened into bed. Bath soap dispenser broken.

« Really clean modern hotel in the heart of the capital. »

We stayed here on a stag doo to Prague. Really good value for money, clean modern rooms throughout. Close amenities, bars, clubs and restaurants. I would definitely stay again! Breakfast was really nice. Plenty of choice for all appetites. I would recommend to family's couples and groups alike. No trouble what so ever. A+

    « Great Stay »

I stayed at this hotel with my partner back in September/October 2014 for 4 nights. The staff here were friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were asked what facilities we preferred (shower/bath) and was allocated a lovely room. The room has a great street view and was clean. The bathroom we had with a shower was small but everything worked so the size wasn't an issue. Some reviewers found noise from the bar below to be an issue however, we did not have any issues at all - maybe the time of year... If you wish for tea/coffee facilities in your room ask for it on arrival as they usually already in the room. The room had a safe too. The breakfast was simple but plentiful for us. Best to keep some Koruna aside to pay for the city tax on departure from the hotel. The cost pnpp was displayed behind the reception desk. The location is great. There was no need to use public transport to get around. Would advise a good pair of walking shoes. Loved walking to and from the Old Town along the river from the hotel. A shop that amused us which was around the corner was based on all things Scottish. They even has a can on Iron-Bru in the window. I would recommend this hotel and we have already booked our 2nd stay at this hotel for later this year.

    « Nice stay »

Enjoyed our Monday to Friday stay. Initially we thought we were a little out of the way but once we did the walk into the old town we realised that we were only the stated 10 minutes or so walk away. We were delighted with our rooms (we had 4 booked). Nice and roomy, good size bathroom and everything spotless. Hotel was nice and quiet and not once did housekeeping wake us up as is the norm in most hotels from early morning. We requested coffee/tea making facilities and these were placed in the room for us. Breakfast was not great for us - the usual fruit cereals etc and the one morning I did think it was ok I had poached egg and bacon. Thought the option of cauliflower, carrots, pasta and salad a bit weird but maybe that is a Czech thing. Nice friendly staff in the bar especially one dark haired lady who was so pleasant. One word of warning we did ask one morning if the receptionist could order us a taxi to the old square to be told it would be 12 euro, we said we had got taxis the previous night which only cost 1 koruna with AAA - her reply was that it was the hotels own driver and she didnt know the number for the taxi - we ended up walking as we weren't prepared to pay 12 euro for such a short journey. That was a pity as other staff had no problem phoning us a taxi on further occasions. So keep that in mind. All in all we had a good stay and I would not hesitate recommending this hotel as long as you don't want to be right in the centre. Loved my stay in Prague - what a beautiful city.

    « very comfortable »

Staff were very helpful, service was above average position excellent, close to transport and restaurants, No air conditioning but a fan was adequate as the weather had improved. Breakfast was pleasant with local foods available
