This is our 1st experience with Best Western. Being gold in Hilton & Marriott I was a little hesitate to book this hotel. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but I knew about it.and you need a car. Its about 15 min driving to Napoli and about 10 minutes to Pozzuoli. The hotel/suites was very spacious and the kids and us have our own room including 2 bathroom. The price is right for what we got. It about 5 minutes to the zoo if you are interest it. The breakfast needs improvement. (the hot area, eggs, sausages (hot dogs) was completely cold. a working warmer could be good. No place to eat near the hotel. Need to drive around 10 minutes to find something to eat. When I book the hotel I was looking for free parking and spacious room within a budget. And this hotel did it. If I will return to the area will stay there.
Stayed for work. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and functional. They lack a working space for business travelers like me. The place is very far from Naples and its great if you have transportation. Do not trust the bus system. It is very bad. Breakfast was normal. Loved the pastries. Its very peaceful, but very little to see around.
Location is awful, it stinks so bad when your approaching the hotel. It's in the middle of nowhere. If you don't have a car don't stay here. The WiFi connection is very slow to none. If you have a LAN cable bring it with you and create a hotspot, because the WiFi is almost non existent. The staff was awful and the breakfast is not good at all, especially the eggs.
This was my first trip to Naples and unfortunately I didn't realise how far this hotel was from the centre. Public transport is available but does not stick to a timetable and finishes around 10-11pm depending on the day. There is free parking for guests on site but this did not help us as we were not driving. The hotel itself however was lovely. The staff were really friendly. The outside could do with some work but as it is located in an industrial estate this is not surprising. The inside of the hotel is incredibly clean and modern and the rooms had all the usual facilities. WiFi was available but the signal did not reach some parts of our room so we were unable to use it. The beds were very comfortable, the air con excellent. Breakfast is served downstairs and was delicious. Various types of cereals, pastries and much more. Dinner is available in the American Hotel next door. It is reasonable priced and very nice. As a whole I probably won't visit Naples again but if I did I would stay at this hotel providing I had a car. Great hotel for a couple who are driving round Italy and don't want to stay in the centre.
After arriving at the American Hotel next door, we were informed that we will be staying at the Best Western. On arrival the receptionist at the American Hotel had already informed the receptionist at the Best Western of our imminent arrival. Check in went smoothly and we proceeded to our room. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside as it is run down and in some need of exterior work, but the inside of the hotel is immaculate. It's clean and very modern. The rooms are what you would expect bright, airy, clean and full of all the mod cons. The hotel offers bus tickets to the local metro station and the bus stop is directly outside the hotel for convenience. If you are driving there is on site parking which is free for guests. The hotel has free wifi, although signal wasn't that strong in all parts of our room. Staff are friendly and help in anyway they can. Breakfast is a continental buffet with a good selection of choices, dinner is served in the restaurant at the American Hotel which is good value for money. The hotel is situated outside of Naples on an industrial estate, which can be a problem if you are returning late as public transport stops quite early. Overall this hotel is a good choice if you are not put off by the location. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Naples.
Stayed for one night after meeting up with friends in Pozzuoli. Alfredo at the front desk was charming, helpful, and an excellent host. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Great hotel experience!
After I have checked for weeks for a hotel for our visit to Naples, finally decided for Best Western Suites, as good price and free parking, breakfast included. The hotel itself is nice, clean, room was spacious , shower/bathroom fine. From the hotel it takes at least 45 minutes to reach central Naples by public transport, but we knew this when we booked. Breakfast is very limited , only on our first morning there we had some scrambled eggs, later on just cold snacks/pastries . Staff was somehow friendly, a top note for Alfredo, the receptionist who even lent us some cash on the day of arrival for bus tickets, as no cash machine close by. But we have had to experience a very shameful experience . We went to Naples in order to meet along some friends travelling from Rome, the had their hotel located in central Naples, Saturday we visited Pompei, using just one car (ours) , on return, we decided to avoid central Naples and drove directly to our hotel, planning for our friends to go to their hotel by public transport. The receptionist very rudely asked the couple to identify themselves with their ID cards or passports , she said after that that if they are coming to our room for a drink is her duty to retain their ID cards at the reception desk, and, unbelievably, after only 20 minutes she phoned us and said that out guests have to go as this is the policy of the hotel. We were like in shock, didn't want to create any upsets , hence our friends have left. Never ever again in any Best Western hotel from now on, as we never ever experienced anything similar anywhere in the world.
This hotel is excellently located, just meters beyond the Naples city limits in an area primarily with auto dealerships and a former U.S. naval installation across the street. Although not in the center of the city, almost all points in the Naples area and beyond are easily accessible by car (but mind the hours of peak traffic when it can take 45 minutes to get into the center of the city), as well as by bus and the Naples metro, the nearest station of which is about 10 minutes away. There is excellent dining less than 5 minutes away in Pozzuoli as well in the nearby Agnano, Bagnoli and Fuorigrotta areas, about 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic. The rooms are large, well equipped, and spotless. The included breakfast buffet is excellent. Wifi service is fast and reliable. Secure parking is available at no additional charge on the premises. This is a big plus for the Naples area, but, as noted below, can also be a source of small annoyances. The staff are, without exception, very friendly and helpful. The only significant flaw is the inadequate staffing at the Reception Desk. It is usually staffed only by one person who, in addition to performing reception and concierge functions and answering the telephone, also must operate the two security gates to access and leave the hotel -- and all of this with no apparent backup. This sometimes results in delays getting in and out of the property, as well as other minor services. This little problem, which can get annoying after several days, is the only reason why I could not give this property an overall rating of 5. I would definitely recommend this Best Western property, notwithstanding its suburban location and its "super secure" access.
This hotel probably just scrapes the requirements of a 4 star hotel. It's clean, the rooms are spaceous and the breakfast bar is well stocked in the morning (continental breakfast only though). However there is no actual restaurant in the hotel itself - it sends small groups across to its sister hotel, The American Hotel next door, although larger groups are catered for via the American Hotel's kitchen. Our junior suite had a nice bedroom and spaceous living area, with a small kitchenette (hob, fridge) and limited utensils. In addition, the mini bar is probably the cheapest I've ever come across. The only issue we had was with the hotel's location. We knew that it was on the outskirts of town, but we were shocked by the state of the street the hotel is in which has no amenities whatsoever. We were equally dismayed to learn that the local bus service is virtually non-existent during the month of August, forcing us to rent a car. During our stay we've witnessed a lot of coach tours stay here, and that is what the hotel is really set up to cater for - the visitors staying for one night. It isn't really suitable for longer stays (we've been here for two weeks), where you might want to lounge around the hotel or its surroundings.
The hotel itself is in abit of a rundown area, however the staff were very helpful, the rooms were very comfortable. It is situated just outside of Naples and if you want to venture into Naples it will cost you 0.95€. Overall a nice experience.
The hotel is located just outside of Naples, in a safe area with a secure parking and a security guard. The rooms are amazingly comfortable. The staff are helpful and ready to guide you. The only negative for this place is the poor breakfast.
The Hotel is all in all decent with clean and large rooms, a working AC and it provides secure parking! That said the staff gives you the impression that you always disturb them in their most important doing; whatever this may be. The hotel is located in the car dealership district with the flair of a southern Italy industrial zone. The only positive about the location is the rather close access to the freeway. If you don't travel by car or you looking for a romantic/relaxing hotel this place is definitely not for you.
Really one of the best hotels in Naples for the money. It was clean and comfortable. Had a nice breakfast and overall a pretty good place. It is in a non-tourist location but very comfortable. Also gated and safe. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Good location to go for a trip around Naples. You need a car for visíting for example Solfatara. You CAN park free at The hotel. The hotel is Quiet, rooms are comfortable. Helpful staff. Special Thanks to Alfredo!
Poor location in industrial area. The car is required. Convenient for good value for Money. Parking free And good And various breakfast. Ideal for Families. Large family rooms. Not so Good The typical sulphureus smell of that area. Optimum for trip around Naples area.
Located close to the train station, good staff and a nice clean room. Comfortable bed and excellent double glazing on the windows. They stored our bags for the day, after we checked out, which was really helpful. On Saturday there's a cool local market out the front of the Hotel on Saturdays.
Mr. Salvatore at the reception was very pleasant and helpful, he could not be nicer. Recommended nice dinner restaurants and made sure our stay was enjoyable, I surely recommend this hotel to everyone coming to see Pompeii or Naples, the accommodations was modern, clean well kept. The service was excellent, hotel accommodations were amazing.
We stayed here for four nights, the room was large and very clean. The receptionist Fabiana was very helpful and spoke very good English. The waiter in the restaurant Luca was brilliant really looked after us. The only problem was the location nothing around but car showrooms
I was very dissapointed when I arrived to the hotel and realized that the staff who took my booking had lied to me. The hotel isin the middle of nowhere and I was told I was only 1 km away from my conference venue, but in fact I was really far. I was told there were a number of other services offered, which was not true. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody, in particular because of the abusive and cheating staff I encountered. I received an awful treatment which made my first 2 days in Naples quite unpleasant.
The room was ok, but no air conditioning (not acceptable in April). Therefore slept with window open, allowing the sulphorous smells in. The alternative was waking in a pool of sweat. With window open, nightclub over the road heard to 5am with shreiking kids. Breakfast dismal. No fresh fruit in a modern hotel ........ pathetic. No proper bar. Nearest restaurant 15 mins down the hill. Thank God it is decent. Shockingly scruffy location. May be cheaper, but stand-by to be ripped off by the taxi crooks. Avoid.
I stayed here recently for 10 days. It is a long way out of Naples City and as far as I can see it is only useful staying here if you are in the market for a new car. The road the hotel is in in full of new and used car showrooms along with disused factories and barking dogs. Literally across the road from the hotel is a weekend only late night club (12-5am), the shutters and patio doors keep the sound out but as the aircon is ineffective it makes the room hot. Also across the road is the entrance to the refuse collection depot. Room large with comfortable beds, large bathroom. Hot water was in short supply as was the shower pressure. Breakfast was pretty good although nearly every day something key ran out. One day it was coffee, next the luke warm scrambeld egg. The staff didn't seem to notice and had to be told every time. Also the tables were too close togehter so it was impossible to get 4 around every table. The 'welcoming bar' was never manned and there is very little round here either. If you go left up the hill there is a Pizzeria which is good value. Down the hill by the traffic lights is a good but more expensive restaurant and the Glory Bar that also does food. There is also the sister hotel, The American, next door which does food in the evening and has a more welcoming bar.
