Rude and uncaring. Besides being charged twice for the room due to a computer error, the hot water was non existent , the elevators were crappy and felt unsafe, the locks on the doors were janky and the perimeter of the hotel and rooms were unkempt (ie. Wallpaper and wood peeling). Never again! The manager was of no help during this whole process and refused to follow up.
I have been in this hotel in November 2023 for business. It is a good nice and calm hotel, perfect if you are on a business trip. Receptionists were very kind and helpful and the heating was at a good level. We arrived by car and there is a large parking there.
Room stunk previous guests left food in room. Markings on the wall broken items. Wasn't satisfied in the room with the price being charged. One elevator was broke. Elevator that is in use sometimes doesn't work. Guests above us were loud had to call front desk multiple times
Smelled like pot and bad meat. Staff was mostly absent from the front desk, Breakfast was worth skipping. I rarely give a bad review, but here it is. Poor elevators (only 1 worked) . We were all there for a wedding and it was just not nice. Price was fine but it ended there,
The staff is terrible they don't really clean the room I stayed in room 303 and the room was not clean they bathroom shower was dirty they lock to my door was broken and when i tried to report my problem to the staff they would not help when I wanted a refund they called the cops on me
This is gonna be a long but very necessary read if you even THINK of booking at this nightmare of a location. Where do I even begin? Maybe I'll start with the staff that is extremely disrespectful and almost openly discrimatory in the way they treat residents of a certain "class". The manager of this property "Zubear" has not only frequently engaged in telling paying guests what they can and cannot wear, sit, look like, do, and whom residents can speak to and converse with as if this Best western is run by the gustapo. This hotel is pretty much 80% water because the laundry room is consistently flooded to a more than dangerous slipping condition but also water from the ice machines make it easy to step off of their in much need of repair elevator systems (probably should be inspected for safety reasons do to the fact that the elevators have gotten stuck on many guest in my 4 months stay). The breakfast is god awful, it comes complete with half cooked powdered eggs, water sopped sausage patties, stale bread, and once in a blue moon some paper thin bacon may be on the breakfast menu. In my time being here I have seen more than 6 people arrested on the property (would hardly consider it safe) the frequent police presence is disturbing, what seem to be heroine needles were filmed in the parking lot, residents are often harassed for doing common things that more let's say "privileged" few days guest do and are told "it's different they're only here for a few days". Not to mention an elderly man and his sick wife on an oxygen tank spent 3 days in the conference room because they needed their room to accommodate for their overbooking during a recent car show. The list is long and grueling but to sum it up this is a vile place, dirty inside, unwelcoming staff, there's even an old man named Paul who just sits in the lobby and harasses guests and residents and come to find out the man doesn't even work there!!! This place needs every investigation possible, health, fair housing the whole 9. Be advised before staying at this ignorant hell hole and go spend a little extra and go down the street to the Fairfield, I hear the breakfast is actually edible there.
Dirty Dirty Dirty rooms!!!! The room had a kitchen, and I found the table and chairs and furniture to be greasy, with visible fingerprints! All the mirrors were streaky and had a foggy film! The absolute worse part was when I slightly moved the furniture, I was met with personal items , clearly left from previous guests, dust and dirt AND the worst part was to see food crumbs, and Dorito chips on the floor! JUST GROSS !!!!
We stayed 2 nights in a suite with a kitchenette. The room was clean. The front desk and kitchen staff were very professional and kind. Our room was missing a few items but a quick trip to the front desk and we got everything we needed. The kitchen staff was very accommodating and frequently asked all if they had what they needed. Would definitely stay here again.
The folks are the greatest. The hotel is very clean and would request all to stay here. The breakfast is good as well. Very helpful folks willing to help you out with your issues. Nicely lighted for safety issues. Nice place to stay next to mall.
It's nice everything you need in the room stove microwave sofa bed it's like a small apartment no lie. friendly, respectful. highly recommend it oh ps and they have the games they have in gas stations and smoke shops lol coffee all day 2 tvs I could keep going for try it out you'll see
I upgraded to a kitchenette room to use a pot to warm cider for a work function the next day. The room did not have ANY pots or pans in the room. The kitchen sink was dirty, the floor was sticky, and the elevator was not for the faint of heart. Very disappointing!
Very pleasant & accomidating staff. Room were very clean. Close to highway for easy on easy off. The hotel was full when we were there but was not noisy or any disterbance. Ac worked great without alot of noise. We have family locally and we We will stay again.
Peaceful stay. The employees are super friendly and the breakfast was really awesome. Clean rooms and nice bedding. I recommend this place to all my family and friends. One of the safest place that I ever stayed. I will definitely come here again.
I have been staying at this hotel since August and I have been having a great experience! The staff are very friendly here and they have been very kind to our family. The food is great, they have a pool and they have a very convenient fitness center. I would definitely recommend staying here.
We had a good experience. We stayed there for a wedding. Breakfast was decent, multiple options to choose from. Staff was excellent, different staff members came up to us to make sure everything was fine and to see if there was anything else they could do for us. Even got a bottle of water when we checked in!
Love this place, you'll love it too.all the family loved it .Staff is great. This place aims to please their customers. Place is very clean and neat.I highly recommend this place to all family and friends. They also have a pool , fireplace, and nice area to sit at outside by the pool.
Excellent service I experienced in this hotel. I use to travel all the country. This is the super friendly staff. I enjoyed all breakfast here. This is the best hotel I'm in till now. I recommend this to everyone. I will try to be there for my next stay as well. Excellent staff
Super nice and efficient front staff. Really can't say enough about the front staff folks; they made me feel like family despite only staying one night. Really awesome people. It's an older hotel that has been refurbished so nicer than most hotels its age. I think the room could have been cleaner but I'm really picky and always go over everything with Lysol before I touch anything. If you want to use the kitchenette in a suite room, I highly recommend brining your own dish rag and dish soap since that isn't provided (there is a dishwasher though). The fridge is a small size that sits under the TV. Tiny freezer component. Lots of toiletries are provided and are of nice quality. Black out curtain worked well. Wish most hotels had them. Was very quiet while I was there; I did not hear any neighbors.
Excellent service room and hotel is clean. The people I met at the hotel are really kind and the staff was most helpful in all the situations. I recommend this place to everyone I know. I hope I will come here and stay again at this hotel. Everything excellent.
Very nice & clean hotel staff is PHENOMENAL love the customer service Very attentive to your needs HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this location due to cleanliness attentive caring any concerns they definitely take care of you in a matter of minutes I'd ihaz to giveaway ratified would rats this hotel at 1000% PROFESSIONAL
I like everything here. Nice breakfast all the surroundings are clean and nice. Respectable staff. Nice spot to stay with family. the front desk agents are cool. I made friends here as well. I have also experienced other hotel and I can say this is the best hotel that I have ever experienced. I'm going to recommend this hotel to my family and anyone whoever is looking for a hotel
Overall, the hotel was very clean, with absolutely no musty smells or odors. Room was nicely furnished and very clean. The pillows on the other hand left much to be desired. Tjey weren't a deal killer, but could stand a major upgrade. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety, including waffles fruit and yogurt. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is in a very quiet area, a major plus.
The stay was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel itself is very clean I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in this area as a traveling nurse I've been to plenty of hotels and this hotel exceeded my expectations
Not clean, and definitely not worth your money. its stinky, run down, and not well maintained. I think there was only one staff member there that i actually saw working and he seemed to be doing everything by himself. Stay at the Fairfield in suits.
New owners in March (?). VERY evident they are making a serious effort to upgrade & renovate. Staff were readily available & happy to help with anything. Even tho' hotel was busy with lots of hockey tournament guests - all areas (room, breakfast area & adjacent front lounge area, hallways, etc) - were exceptionally clean. Used my points & a previous promotional offer (stay 2 nights & get a free night), so for 2 nights, I paid about $44. Excellent deal & good value for the 1st place that felt CLEAN since Covid.
Very clan and spacious hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful . 10 out of 10 for all the services. Best hotel we have ever stayed in. My kids and relatives loved the hotel. We really had a great time !! Breakfast was good. My kids loved swimming pool. Staff is very friendly, humble and helpful
i thought at some point i was at a five star hotel. they made me feel like i was the most important person in the world. the team was very professional and experienced to the fullest clean room and top notch hospitality it felt like i was home the whole time
The beds are extremely comfortable , the staff always so willing to help out . They have a pool outside that's been very useful . I definitely recommend you stay here when you come to Pottstown . And if you're a traveler . Pottstown hospital is right down the road and so is a lot of places to eat including Wawa
Gross!! The hallway was dirty. Needed to be vacuumed. Bathroom had a bad oder, room floor was sticky with film, lamp shades had brown stains on it and lamps on one side of the room didn't work. The hotel had a very strong smell when entering. Not pleasant. Would t stay here again.
I appreciated the presence of the owners and staff at this newly acquired family business. They aim to please and it shows. I wish them the very best because they are working to give their guests an excellent experience. Clean and tidy matter to me, as do details like finding everything in working order. I especially like nice linens, a comfortable bed, a good TV, quiet AC that gets as cold as I want, and fresh coffee available all day. This hotel met all of my preferences. Some hotels use too much fragrance. It was not a problem at this hotel.
An overnight stay after a long day on the road traveling to PA alone and visiting with family members and hospice terminal ill family member treated by a warming and caring manager. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Clean and fresh smelling linens and room, extra fluffy pillows. The refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are extremely helpful when traveling in an emergency to help save travel costs. As always I enjoy the relaxing and refreshing swim pool and complementary breakfast is always a nice feature.
Our room at The Best Western in Pottstown was spartan at best. The shower water pressure almost nonexistent. There were no curtains just a large shade which although stopped someone from looking in it did little to darken the room. The one good thing about breakfast was that the coffee from the machine was amazingly good.
most all was good, nice spacious room but bathroom super small, only one way to get into shower, even just having one person in bathroom and you could not move around.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last year and the quality of amenities and cleanliness has been hit or miss. That has changed. My most recent stay was a surprise in a good way. I immediately saw that the staff and owners have put many improvements in place. Everywhere I went it was clean and fresh. The staff was inviting and friendly. Keep up the good work!
Awesome experience with staff and room at this hotel and I enjoy the breakfast too I will be back to stay there for some more nights
First room did not match online pictures at all. Got a tub, not a nice glass shower. Requested new room and constant slamming of doors all night kept us awake. Light through window in the morning was even worse (it might as well have been left open). Shower didn't get beyond lukewarm. Breakfast was just okay. Go for the eggs/coffee and skip the rest. AC was the only good part, we nearly froze before I turned it up a bit. They had it set at 64° and it definitely worked.
Thank you for an extraordinary weekend!!!!! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed everything that your hotel had to offer. The continental breakfast was amazing on both Saturday morning and Sunday morning too. The king size bed was awesome!!!
Best Western Plus in Pottstown PA far exceeded my exceeded any & all expectations. Their staff was courteous, helpful & friendly, our stay was extremely comfortable & memorable. They are obviously family oriented as well as professional & considerate
The door to our room didn't work. It was broken. To get in you had to body slam it only to find that you couldn't shut it when you go in. Looking at the door it was missing the latch on the door jam. When I asked to switch rooms they told me no because it was booked and that they would fix it. They never came down so we decided it was unsafe and we wanted to leave. When we went back out front to get a refund we were met with arguments and them telling us the door worked and that it was safe. The owner couldn't even open or close the door without body slamming it. They first refused to refund me saying that they had more rooms (even though they were booked up) and we kept saying no. They finally refunded me for the second night and we just left.
Our room door was broken. we had to body slam it to get it open to noice that it was missing the main latch on the door frame. It was just an empty whole. then we couldn't shut the door and if we some how did we couldn't get out quickly if there was an emergency. The front staff first told us that there were booked and we couldn't switch rooms the mangers told us the door worked and was fine (even though he had to body salm it to open it) and when we told them we were leaving and wanted a refund because we refused to stay the argued with us and told us there were rooms aviaible and when we told them it was to late and we just felt unsafe they argued more and then finally only refunded us for 1 of our 2 nights.
Building showed its age and needs a good cleaning from top to bottom. Took a week of daily requests to have trim cleaned and fresh towels. 2 day with no hot water
I have stayed at this hotel for a minimum of two to three weeks each of the past three years working for exeloncorp at the limerick nuclear plant. I enjoyed the hospitality starting with Denise T. At the front desk it's been a pleasure dealing with her always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast has been good with a good choice of food. The rooms are fine with no complaints. The whole staff has been just great and they continue to improve on upgrading the hotel.
Entry the hotel is nice and well put together. Staff was nice. But when we checked into our suite,it had a terrible smell of smoke /cigarettes and it was absolutely filthy. Our feet stuck to the floor. There was some sort of sticky substance dripped down the kitchen cabinets. The frig wasn't wiped out. The hallway mirror was filthy. There was hair in the shower, as well as pink marker wrote on the glass shower door. We asked to be moved which we were after an hour of trying to figure where to put us , but they could not accommodate us into another suite for our family. We had to be put into two separate rooms on 2 separate floors. They were not as dirty as the suite, but they still were dirty, with particles on the floor, game pieces on the floor from the last people , hair in the shower, and bugs in the bathroom . Overall unhappy with this facility and its cleanliness . Also, they only serve breakfast from 7 to 9 and on a weekend that we were there they had multiple sports team in and at 8:30 there was a line for breakfast and by the time we got up to the front the hot bins were empty and the staff was not making any more because it was 850 and they shut down at 9. On a sidenote, the exercise equipment is acceptable. However, there is no wipes in the room to wipe off any of the equipment after it's been used which is very unsanitary.
Shame on u Best Western Plus. If u allow someone to use ur Brand u better hold them to a standard. Dirty Dirty, Dirty. Show that u care maybe just a little. Dead Bugs everywhere, warm water at best, terrible Breakfast. C'mon you bought “Great Value” brand yogurt. Nothing against Walmart but someone bought yogurt at Walmart and transported it in ur personal vehicle to serve to the public. Shame on u Health Code Violator!!!
I would recommend avoiding at all costs needs new management and owners.Awful service be prepared for the price to be double at check in, bug infestation, black mold customer service is a scam we still want a complete refund because we showed up to these awful services
The room was nicely designed, but upkeep was clearly lacking. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, but the sheets were wrinkled and I couldn't tell if it was a lack of ironing or ??? The shock was in the morning when I pulled up the shade and there were over a dozen large dead bugs on the window sill that looked like cockroaches. Clearly housekeeping was not dusting the window sill! Also, there was visible dust on the floor. and the desk lamp was missing.
The night attendant was not friendly, never smiled or showed appreciation for my business when I checked in. The kitchen had a full coffee setup, so we helped ourselves, she came over to yell at us, "that is for the morning" and turned off the nights. The lobby bathroom was filthy, and the hallway rugs were dirty.
The front desk made us wait two hours for a room. While waiting in the lobby for two hours, we watched the same front desk person give away 17 rooms to other people. Finally, the front desk guy decided to give us our room. As I am getting undressed and am fully exposed, the front desk man walked in and saw me completely naked and made me cry. My husband left the room to talk to the man at the front desk, and he literally ran away from my husband. After my husband talked to him at the front desk, he said he NEVER CHECKED THE ROOM OFF AS CLEAN BEFORE GIVING IT TO US. Then he said he would contact the manager and that they would talk to us in the morning. When we came down in the morning, the manager never heard about what happened to me and refused to give us a refund. She told us she would take down our number and have someone else contact us. Of course, nobody ever did. I never stayed at a best western before and never will ever again after this. We got married the day before and this was supposed to be our first cute trip as an official couple. Now I am humiliated and scarred and I can't believe how we were treated.
Not pet free at all! It's advertised online as pet free but it is not. The first room was so disgusting and filthy we couldn't stay in it. The door on the second room was so hard to open and close my husband had to do it for me. Luckily there wasn't a fire when he was away from the room because I wouldn't have been able to get out! We were there for four nights and not once did housekeeping give us fresh towels or even empty the trash cans. The internet doesn't work well at all. If you need to conduct business, you won't be able to. The exercise room was filthy and the sanitizing wipes were dried out, it smelled and there is no AC.
Very good hotel, super clean and neat, the check in was easy and quick. The location was kind of fine too and close to a lot of things on 422, but a very poor breakfast and there weren't hardly anything 15 mins after it opened.
Tried to charge us 25.00 to check in early Had no crib as requested Pool broken and not listed as such on website Breakfast was not good Out of many items Many items stale and not fresh Unhelpful staff
The king suite was clean and it was a perfect size with a couch. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. They provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, coffee, and tea. Plus the have a great breakfast from 7-9 AM. It is close to SoulJoe's and was perfect for us.
Excellent...room, staff and pool. Breakfast could have been nicer. Really no choices, no fruit walmart brand yogurt, we just ended up skipping breakfast. Other than that very nice. Room very nice with a small convenient kitchen.
This was 3rd BW during the week. Stayed 2 nights in July 2023. Found hallways dirty & stained. Surfaces in room needed wiping. Have photos of hallway, cobwebs on wall, backed up bathtub, broken shower faucet, & damaged bathroom door. 2nd morning breakfast at 7.15am consisted of scrambled egg, few yogurts & toast/waffle mix. No sausage/bacon, fruit or muffins. I guess they had run out by Monday morning. Receptionist at checkout was missing. Needed FaceTime to review billing.
Pool was not open in June. No Cream Cheese for the Bagels, No syrup for the waffles, Only one kind of yogurt and only 5 of them, the breakfast was not satisfactory. Lady in the front booth referred me to the kiosk, while she was texting or heavily involved doing something her phone. A man in a computer, he was nice but who wants to talk to someone in a computer! Kiosk is not Hospitality! Maybe a kiosk would be ok for checking out or anyone who chooses to use it BUT when there is a person behind the desk and they ignore you and then when they do finally acknowledge you, they tell you. "You can use the kiosk". I was the only one there. No line! Air in my room did not cool below 78 and it was 85-90s out. Super uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel was booked and I was told maintenance would not be back until Monday, there was nothing they could do until everyone checked out on Sunday. Front desk also called during our first night at 12:15am! When you get in from a long 9 hour drive and need to be up super early, thats unacceptable. To let me know one of the two elevators was out of order working (it was working by morning). Now that I think of it, that means maintenance was there! I have stayed at Best Western's before (7 times this year until July 11th) BUT this trip was just a hot mess. Our travel teams used Best Westerns for tournaments. Thankfully house keeping told me I could check out a day early. Yes Housekeeping because again No one was at the front desk. The only thing this hotel had going for it, was it was clean. Ugh Hot mess!
Normally, I don't stay at best Western, but due to its location and availability I took a shot. Arrived at the front desk and check in was OK. Although, I did have a hard time understanding him due to English being his second language. No biggie. Then I walked down the hallway, and was stunned at the amount of stains and fill on the carpet. From spilled paint to leftover food and dirt. It was disgusting. Then I got to my room. My shoes stuck to the floor as it was sticky. The sheets look cleaned but the mattress and couch were stained. The bathroom was disgusting. I normally don't leave bad reviews but this warranted it. I will never stay at this hotel again.
Im not sure where to start on this review as everything about the stay was horrible. It started with a virtual check-in to not having anyone available to assist. The bathtub had hair in it. The toilet tank was loose and leaking. No person was operating the front desk other than a person on camera who could not help us because he was not on site. There were people outside our window until late hours having a party and the door by our room was blocked open. We felt very unsafe.
Staff were extremely rude and were not willing to help. Sheets and floors in room were dirty Hallway trash and towels were left out for entire day. Pool was green and closed for at least 2 weeks according to guests Breakfast was horrible - eggs dried out and burnt at times. Waffles cooked unevenly. Each day there was no yogurt available Only guaranteed at times 1 new towel Staff were often on their phones Hot water in sink was scolding hot. Had to make my own bed with the new sheets they gave me since the other ones were stained. Having working in hospitality before this was the worst hotel I have stayed at by far.
The floor was dirty, the heater didn't work properly, the shower dispensers were empty, breakfast was sparse, there was no live person to watch the front area for people coming in or to check you out. Very disappointed. We always stay at Best Western. Never again at this onev
Rooms are very clean, customer service was good & the cleaning people were very friendly & smiling a lot , there's no carpeting throughout the rooms, I believe people live here? It was a lot of families here. For the most part I was happy with the hotel, it was close to the venue we were going to visit. Only thing, it was noisy with the other customers letting their doors slam shut all night & morning. But I would consider stay here again.
As a travel nurse I have stayed at many hotels. The staff at this hotel will do everything possible to make your stay wonderful. There are renovations going on in the hotel and management seems to actually care about what happens to the hotel. The staff is wonderful and willing to help from housekeeping to the front desk.
The place needed help. Wall repairs, carpet cleaning, paint, etc. Room had sticky substance on end table. Breakfast was without any protean or potatoes. Scrambled eggs only. Was due to spend five days but checked out the first morning.
Do not stay at this hotel if you want to sleep and feel safe. The hotel is run down, terrible customer service and amenities are a joke. I stay in hotels all over the country and by far worst experience on a recent trip
The room was fairly clean but had several dead flies throughout the room. Was not informed we would not receive any cleaning service unless requested. Only one elevator worked. Beds were very comfortable and great coffee.
The hotel recently implemented some new changes. The first is a guest kiosk at the front desk. That kiosk is aggravating at best. I stay at the hotel every week and the staff knows me by name. My usual check in is to say "Hi, I have a reservation and their response would be "Hi, Mr. XXXX, here is your key card." The entire exchange might take two minutes. Now, not only does it take considerably longer but it does away with the human element. I understand making do with less but I feel that the money used for this kiosk could have been used more wisely elsewhere. The second change that was made was that there are no hot breakfast items available anymore. No longer will eggs or bacon or sausage be offered. I wasn't really happy with this change either. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping are wonderful and have akways helped me in anyway possible
Room was clean, but be aware you are right by the highway and you will hear it. Also the doors to the rooms slam shut so your stay can be noisy. They did provide breakfast daily which was nice. In order to stay connected to WiFi it required you to connect every time you wanted to use it but was glad to have it.
Stayed in town for a girls weekend and visit to the Pennhurst Asylum. We were very happy with the BW Plus (as we have all been hoteliers for 20+ years, we are a little picky) - the staff were friendly, the room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast had a nice variety of choices. We plan on making this trip again and will most certainly be looking to repeat our visit here!
I work as a travel nurse in the ER of a local hospital. The hotel is less than 1 mile away from the hospital making it convenient, more than that though is the staff. As a traveller, I stay at many hotels but here the staff has made me feel welcomed and always ask me how my day went. It's important for me that I have a quiet room since I'm only there to work and sleep, and I have never been disappointed.
Rooms were filthy urine stains on sheets floors filthy and switching rooms that bed had blood stains garbage in hallways and elevator I will never stay here again. What a shame because the hotel has potential.
Location was great, easy to get to and felt like a safe area. Check in was fast and easy, we had to switch rooms because TV had no cable and even that was fast and easy to do. Staff at this hotel are great always greet you with a hello and a smile.
Came for business this past weekend and the rooms were filthy. We were moved once to a so called clean room and placed into yet another dirty filthy room. Floors were dirty. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting with cigarette burns on the toilet seat. One bed looked as though it had been slept in. Dust everywhere. The front desk offered to move us again but it was just getting worse as they moved us. Shame on you Best Western. We literally slept on top of the blankets and laid on our own clothing. If it wasn't for the rest of the hotels being full we would have walked out.
I am not picky when it comes to staying in a hotel as most of the time is not spent in a room. However I do expect my room to be clean and my key to work. I stayed 2 nights for an event and the location was close to the event. When I went to my room I noticed the sheets had stains, hair in the shower and the halls were dirty with paper and trash all over. I paid for 2 nights and when I returned to my room on the 2nd night my key had been deactivated and my registration card had been taken down. There was no reason as to why and the front desk was able to reactive me a key and I returned to room. The staff and the breakfast were good but, the cleanliness and smell made it hard to enjoy, some of my group had to change rooms due to the cleanliness and one of the suites we were in had food splattered on baseboard behind trashcan, no paper towels of dish soap in suite to clean up mess. For the price that I paid I expected more.
Stayed at this hotel for a car show that was held in town. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and service at this hotel. The pool/patio area was well kept and there were two grilling areas available.
My husband had a commitment to be in the Pottstown area Friday evening and all day Saturday. During my inquiry regarding hotels in the Pottstown area, I was told there was "only one decent hotel." Best Western wasn't the one mentioned which was a big mistake, in my opinion! Based on calculating the distance from the Best Western to the event, it appeared to be a five minute drive, though in actuality, it was more like 10-12 minutes. I was able to book the hotel with no problem other than having to call the toll free number. There was no answer when I called directly. However, I was able to book the room and use our AAA card for a discount. Initially, the plan was to stay overnight and check out on Saturday morning. Check in was a breeze. The front desk personnel was efficient and pleasant. The elevators (there were two) were fully operational and without issue. Our room was adequate and clean, though a king size bed rather than the two queens was preferred and I believe would have been just a tad bit less expensive. There was a mini fridge and microwave. One problem was the dispensers in the shower, labeled body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Another was the ice maker on the second floor. They were not operational. A call to the front desk revealed that the dispensers needed refills, and were on order, though they appeared to be full. I could, however, come to the desk for that type of amenity, if needed. The third or fourth floor is where ice makers were available. Thankfully, my husband had his own body wash and I had brought along a bar of soap, among other things...you just never know, right? Oh, and be careful with the hot water faucet, it's really hot! Returning from the first night's event, we decided to request another night. It just seemed like the thing to do for convenience sake the next morning. We were quickly obliged. Breakfast both days was the usual fare, with coffee, tea, juice, milk, waffles, bagels, other assorted breads, eggs, grated cheese, sausage (not sure if they were pork or not since we didn't partake), hot and cold cereal, with toppings for the hot individually packaged cereal) and fresh fruit. Oh, while we didn't take advantage of the outdoor pool since our plan was to only stay one night and check out the next morning, that pool looked very inviting, especially based on the current heat advisory in the area. Check out was without a problem. I inquired about the current promotion of staying two nights, get a third free and my husband was quickly enrolled. Based on this experience, we will stay again at a Best Western and hopefully have as decent an experience there as we did here. so while the rating should be good, based on the above indicated issues, there wasn't a good rating from which to choose. And our stay was above average.
The stay was good , the pool made it even better and more enjoyable for me and my family to stay at. We will be coming back again . Thank you for a good experience and a memorable stay me and my family won't forget .
What a gem, great location, with an easy on/off to major highway(422), close to downtown, very clean, well managed and friendly. Everything needed for a safe and happy stay at this location. I will absolutely stay here again.
I'll make it short: dirty stained sheets, phone didn't work, construction noise (very loud) from 8am to 8:30pm. Not for me. Hotels are for a clean quiet place to stay. Best of all only Taylor the young girl at the desk in the Eve was willing to make or try to make things right. The owners or manager didn't care. I was told they are renovating and can only get the contractor during those hours. What! 8am? I was right underneath the room being renovated. Never again!
Very poor-quality service. Served already used packets of sugar, creamer in the room; all dispensers in the shower that was supposed to have soap, shampoo and conditioner were completely empty; very difficult to open the shower door from inside (heavy glass with no handle); On the good side - bed was comfortable, air conditioner worked
The first thing I noticed when I arrived was there is no smell at all. No deodorizers covering up anything. So, I had no allergy symptoms nor did anyone else in my group. Before I arrived, someone answered the phone whenever I called, which saves me time. The front desk was always manned, with pleasant people ready to help. And the bed was very comfortable with wonderful linens. The fact that everything in the room worked properly and was clean, with adequate space, was appreciated too.
It was okay to stay. Wish I had asked for a handicapped room. All rooms have walk in showers but they Re not handicapped as they have no shower safety bar. Had to go buy a suction one to mount on the glass door.
This hotel is completely remodeled on the interior and is very welcoming. The hot breakfast really hit the spot. Who doesn't like a hot waffle on a cold morning? The room was very comfortable and the bed was like a cloud. Front desk staff was amazing!! I agree with other reviewers who say to ignore the bad reviews and check it out for yourself.
I have stayed at several hotels in this area. Many were overpriced during this particular week and as I was only staying one night refused to pay nearly $200 for a night. This hotel popped up with average ratings, but had been newly renovated. I read the reviews and replies and was a little hesitant to take a chance but the cost was decent for one night. I was impressed and will stay again if they continue to keep prices down. I only had a few minor issues but overall the room, hotel and staff were pleasant. I liked not having carpet in my room. The only small issues I had were with the swept dirt being left at the doorway, no "Do Not Disturb" sign, and the toilet keeping the the bathroom door from opening all the way. For a one night stay, no big deal but as I do sometimes come to the area for multiple nights, these could become an issue. My wishlist would include a little bit more breakfast offerings, but that is minor. I will not hesitate to stay again as long as they continue to do their best.
We stayed at this location with a large group of over 20 people for an event in the area. The hotel manager was very helpful and arranged to have most of us located on the same floor and area. She also allowed us to use the lobby area for a birthday party and gave us wonderful information on places to eat in the area. We were a bit nervous as the hotel didn't have the greatest reviews but we had a wonderful weekend and very helpful staff. The hotel is set in an industrial area but stores are only a couple a miles from the hotel.
Needed a hotel close putting flooring in and walked in explained and was very happy quite and spent sometime with the grandkids watching movie eating popcorn we had a blast. Kids wished it was warmer but enjoyed the waffles you can make. Taught my oldest granddaughter how to make one.
It is not a plus or executive hotel. It's just a hotel. The coffee dispensary tray was missing. The dispensaries in the shower were all empty. The door to the bathroom would not open fully. Room 230 is directly above landscaping lights that shine directly into your room at night. The blinds do not mask them on each side.
The hotel staff is very friendly and doing their best, but there is a lot of little annoying things wrong with the hotel during my visit. Dirty dishes in the room, no soap shampoo in bathroom, out of about everything including silverware at breakfast, the lobby door is broken only one elevator works and so on. They just need to fix a bunch of things and maybe get a little more staff to keep up on things.
Do not let the hotel official photos fool you! This place maybe was renovated sometime recently but it's still pretty much a dump. The elevators are terrifying. The 2nd floor hallway smelled awful like smoke or weed or who knows what else. We only booked this hotel because we had to be at a nearby sports facility in the morning and the weather was going to be bad the night before. There were other hotels in the vicinity, but this one was slightly less. I thought, this was renovated so how bad could it be?' The answer is bad, really bad! Always spend the extra $30 to stay somewhere else. The room was remodeled but not very well. In every wall I could see it looked like someone spilled drinks all over them and just left it without wiping or cleaning. The shower was redone too but there was messy sealant all over and the floor looked like someone walked all over it with some that stained it. The room to our door was t cut right and had cracks all around it like someone could peep in from the hall if they wanted to get that close to the dirty floor. I had my 12 year old daughter with me. The moment I turned off the tv around 10, it sounded like a prostitution was at work literally outside our door. Like, I cannot even explain how loud this was and disturbing. I gad to turn the tv back on and up and left it on. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well. Also, free breakfast is advertised. It's just a basket of cheap granola bars. Please take my advice and if you are not a drug dealer, prostitute or homeless, stay anywhere else!
This hotel was in the midst of remodeling and this should have been told to guests booking ahead of time. There was no bar soap in the room, no vending machines, the ice machine wasn't installed yet, no do not disturb signs, no pens, paper or Bible were in the room. It was extremely hard to get help or find the desk clerk during my stay. The snacks were non-existent and the debit machine to buy refreshments was hard to understand and the clerk offered no help. This motel was in the midst of converting from a Days Inn to a Best Western. I except much better from Best Western than what I received. I informed the desk clerk upon check-out about the issues and he did not seem very concerned nor did he offer to any discount for the shoddy motel that I stayed in. I would definitely not recommend this motel to anyone staying in this area. There are a few others just a few miles away that are much better.
The hotel is off the main drag which means it it relatively quiet. The area looks sketchy but seems safe. The hotel is undergoing a major upgrade so there is a lot of construction dust in the air and material all over the lobby at the time of our visit (Feb 2020). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. we had an upgraded room which was very nice. Breakfast was nothing to look forward to.. Better to go out. Selections were very limited - Carbs only.. possibly due to the renovation.. Best to eat elsewhere.
I can't say anything negative about this place...It's no frills for sure...but clean and comfortable...Slept great. employees very friendly. We went to a New Years Eve party at Sunnybrook Ballroom which is close by..great restaurant.
From research we have done, this is the best hotel in Pottstown. They are renovating presently, but the next time we stay we probably will see a big change. Things aren't terrible now, but they could be a bit better. The staff is very nice and will help you in any way.
There was alot of construction and the shower curtain had holes bad stains. The bathroom shower ceiling felt like it was going to fall in on you. Seems like they started work in common areas, but should have started with the bathrooms.
