I stayed here for 9 nights recently. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was OK, and the hotel was well situated. The only problem was that breakfast only started at 7:30am, which makes it a bit of a rush to make an 8:30am meeting on the other side of town.
Walking distance from major metro station, lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel has tickets for the Hop on tour bus, and the breakfast has lots of options. Important for tourists from the states to remember our star rating system differs. The staff, Armanda Silva and Maria Jose were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a great job.
Perfect choice in porto. Close to the river and old town. Excellent breakfast. Safe box in the room. Friendly staff, easy and efficient check-in. Beds a bit hard - the only negative I can find to say. Lots of bars in the neighbourhood.

Situated in walking distance from city center. Rooms old fashioned but very nice. The breakfast was wry good and serve in an elegant dining room. Parking offered in nearby parking house. Staff friendly and helpful.

Good morning, Thank you very much for your kind words. We are glad you had a pleasant stay with us and that you enjoyed our breakfast and team. We hope to see you again with us! Best regards
Very dated, almost gloomy. Whom ever rated this hotel was looking at the stars (in the firmament) and not at the conditions of the hotel. The furniture is faded, towels are scarce and so are the pillows. Not happy.

Dear Orlando, Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry you did not enjoy staying with us. I want to inform you that we plan to more renovations at the end of the year but regarding towels and pillows, our guests are always welcome to ask for more at the reception if they want! Best regards
This is hotel is within walking distance of most attractions in Porto. We had a good sized room at the end of the hallway. There is also a public outdoor parking across the street which is free on weekends and at night. Only cost 1 Euro from 8:00 a.m. for two hours. Great breakfast, impeccable service. Orange bathroom with orange toilet paper !!!
The hotel is in a good location, about a 20min walk from the river and with lots of places to eat nearby. The rooms are very clean, but a bit dated....except on the first floor which has been refurbished. A few of our party found the air conditioning had a mind of its own, particularly during the night! The breakfast is excellent with a good choice of fruit, cereals, yogurts, cheese and ham, bread and pastries. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. Amanda on reception was amazing. Vasco's gin and tonics were works of art!
There were so many breakfast options, the hotel was central about 15 minutes from everywhere and the staff were very helpful. I was able to early check in as well, and everyone was so friendly and great!
A very comfortable hotel ,very near the centre of Porto where you will find a fantastic breakfast buffet and very helpful staff. We definitely go back there ! Yves, Maria.Julia and Terry. ( however we were very disappointed we the red sightseeing tour bus ! Nothing to do with this hotel, apart for selling us the tickets !)
The rooms in the hotel are of a good size and standard for this level of hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with the standard facilities. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and had a very good choice of meats, cheeses, breads and cakes, along with cereals and fresh fruit. The staff are extremely helpful, willing to go the extra mile to help. We had a problem with our airport transfer, which was not booked through them. They sorted out this problem quickly and efficiently, to our satisfaction. Drinks and food ordered through the bar were very reasonably priced. We had a sandwich, glass of wine/beer, cake and coffee for €7. The only drawback being the amount of tea bags that were left in the room. Overall a delightful place to stay, with extremely helpful staff.
We stayed here for three nights. The staff is absolutely wonderful. We asked for very little but nothing was too much to ask for. So helpful and are able to speak English. We couldn't have asked for more. ??
The evident highlight of this hotel is the staff; from the receptionist to the cleaners, the staff were incredible and welcoming. Everything I asked for and I did not ask for much mind you, I got and got with a smile. I especially appreciated the fact that when I requested the express breakfast for the following day (as my tour was due to commence at 07:45), rather than provide me with the express breakfast as requested, the hotel staff went above and beyond the call of duty and opened up the breakfast room 20 minutes earlier (it normally opens at 07:30) to accommodate me and a few other guests. Most other hotels would have provided me with simply the express breakfast if it was available. The breakfast itself was a reasonable affair with Portuguese pastries/sweets, fruits, cereals, juices, cold meats, cheese and 3 hot dishes usually comprising of eggs, vegetable stir fry of some description and small sausages. I must state that the decor (certainly on the second floor) was reminiscent of the decor one would have expected from the 1970s or the 1980s but I must admit it grew on me during my stay. There were sufficient towels, toiletries and sheets/blankets to satisfy my needs. I did have one minuscule concern with the room and that was simply perhaps due to the antiquated nature of the plumbing that when you used either the shower (I did not see any yellow water) or the toilet the noise made was rather considerable. The lifts themselves were lifts I had not seen in many a year but nevertheless was still fit for purpose. Pointer: The nearest metro station (to be honest they are more trams than metros) is Trinidade and it is an approximately 8 minutes walk from the hotel, up a rather steep hill.
Positive points: some people are nice. Some!Location is good. This hotel is of 70s/80s. In the bathroom the water came out yellow. No restaurant. No place where to work. And many other negative points
Good location. Double windows aren't always closed and a bit of street noise if not. Staff are very nice and helpful. Air-conditioning just seems to turn itself back on during the night and be quite noisy (but maybe I just didn't work out how to manage it). Very good breakfast.
The aspect of the hotell was the staff. They were all very friendly, helpfull and always willing to lend a hand. Thank you to all of them for making our stay great!! The hotel itself merits no complaints. The room was great, fully accessorized. The location was close enough to the turistic attractions (10 min walk) but in a "local" area so there were many great restaurants. Metro for airport & busses are also easely accessible and so is a supermarket closeby, just for some snaks. Breakfast wich is included (best thing of any hotel) continental servigs (eggs, bacon and what not), sweets and the usual. Next Porto visit I will definately whant to stay here.
Let me first compliment Amanda Silva for making, not just us, but everyone I saw in the lobby, feel welcome. Amanda knew each guest's native language and greeted them and helped them in that language! She is amazing. The room and bathroom were good sized and very clean. We did not find it at all "dated" as some have described so perhaps they have modernized some of the rooms. I appreciated the tea/coffee maker in the room. The buffet breakfast was ample. The parking was convenient and safe. The hotel location felt more residential. In my opinion it is excellent, about 15 minutes to the tourist area. We loved that we were close enough to walk to the river, but not so close that we had noise issues or too many people. We felt very safe walking back and forth. I would definitely stay here again.
We were in the hotel for two nights. The hotel was fine but, espesially the room, was pretty dated. Beside that the stay was nice and the staff is very friendly. The beds are good. The breakfast, which was included, was nice. Only the coffee was not. End result is someware between 3 and 4 stars.
Good location, a twenty minute walk to the river. Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable and very good value. The buffet breakfast was good, but it was the hotels staff that made our stay so much more enjoyable. In particular,Jorge the barman,a real gentleman and very helpful and Amanda [?] on reception, who was a mine of information and also booked our Porto FC tickets when I rang ahead , great service.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Firstly, we reached hotel at 10am and rooms ( three rooms!!!) are available for us ( most of hotels i stayed hv to wait till 2pm) ; secondly , the reception is very friendly and very efficient! The location of the hotel is very good, near historical area and not far from hop on hop off stops. Hotel room size is reasonable and some room w garden balcony! ( no extra charge for that) ! Breakfast is good also ! Wifi also good speed !
Very friendly front desk staff, our room was on the 6th floor with windows on both sides of the hotel. Lovely views. No problem finding the hotel from the metro. Fairly straightforward. There is an outdoor parking lot right in front, €15/day. Breakfast was interesting, a lot of choices. My first BW that sets the tables for the buffet. The lady who is working down there (possibly the manager) never smiles, felt a bit strange. Overall it was still one of the better BW buffet breakfasts I've had.
This is a small 60 plus Hotel, There is a small lounge and buffet- style breakfast room. The breakfast offerings should cater for most people: fruit juices, cereals, continental- style pastries and meats etc. The Hotel does not have a restaurant, so guests have to find somewhere else to eat for other meals. There are plentry of these within a short walk, so this is no hardship. The Hotel is situated in a somewhat bohemian area favoured by students and arty people. There are hostels, shops and cafes catering for this kind of clientel nearby. The centre of town is within reasonable walking distance. It is all downhill, leading down to the river, so coming back is a bit more difficult. Taxis are about 6 Euros from the centre. Porto is an interesting city, much more attractive and varied than might be thought, with attractive riverside and beach areas as well as good shopping. It is not totally overwhelmed by tourists, although there are plenty of these.
Arriving in Porto by train from the airport we had great difficulty at first in finding this hotel and had to get the help of a young couple to point us in the right direction. Once found the hotel is actually in a good location about 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The room was clean and tidy, comfortable bed and plenty of room for two people. The maid came in everyday and tidied and cleaned the room and bathroom. Staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choices both hot and cold. Our room overlooked a carpark but the street outside was fairly quiet at night so no great problems. Would stay again.
I rent for 6 nights and that was great. Service was correct, the room quiet good but noisy. Especially when the room besides takes a shower at 1:00am. You can hear the loud and screeching noise the water pipes produced. I was in a room facing the street and that was noisy too. Except these, I've had a good experience: the breakfast was good with various things to eat. The location is quiet central, close to everything.
Location is good. Rooms are clean but service is not good! There was no warmth whatsoever in the service except one barman who was truly smiling. Every time we talked to the front office & F&B staff, we had the feeling to "disturb/annoy" them. Ever time I was greeting/greeted by housekeeper however she was so lovely.
Stayed for 3 nights Great location with virtually everything being walkable. From the airport it's just as easy to get off at Trindade rather than Aliados, and it saves changing lines Staff were friendly and helpful - they let us have our room at 12:30 pm which was a massive help Reception and bar area were small but suitably furnished. The bar was relatively cheap We were on a room on the 2nd floor...what can I say? Very, very dated. It reminded me of my bedroom when I was a small child...in the late 60s/early 70s. On saying that, it was in a good state of repair and perfectly adequate. It didn't have the expected scuffs which you tend to get with dated rooms. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Air-conditioning was fine. Flatscreen tv. Looks like the 1st floor has had a recent refurb btw Breakfast was ok rather than good, with the cooked choice being really quite limited However, for the price, I'd say it was good value
hotel is situated perfectly Rooms slightly dated Staff is very friendly-in particular the 2 receptionists -Armanda (?) and a young man. Breakfast was fresh and nice We booked 2 nights and returned there after a holiday in vila real
Only positive is the location; in the middle of the city centre. Think part of the hotel rooms are updated, but most of them are old fashioned, dirty and just not suitable for 2017 anymore. Parking possibilities are OK and private, do not expect too much from breakfast.
Everything about this place was average except the service. Service was great. Room was clean and not uncomfortable. Everything was small. You are a bit away from things but it was still walkable. Parking was close by
Hotel Inca suited us perfectly. It is conveniently placed in a quiet square, but note that it is an uphill walk from other parts of the city, including the short distance from Trindade metro station. The staff speak English and were pleasant and helpful at all times. The rooms were spotless and supplied with tea-making facilities. There was a wide choice at breakfast, including local specialities which varied from day to day. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
The hotel is located close to the city center, a 5 minute walk will take you to the main plaza and railway station, where tourist buses etc depart. The hotel itself is quite old, although everything was working just fine in my room. Beds were okey and I didn't have any issues staying there. The breakfast could have been better, the heated dishes (bacon, eggs etc) did run out quickly and the staff didn´t refill that fast. Could recommend staying here since it is cheap, but don´t expect too much else.
Having stayed in several Best Western hotels, and reading the reviews on here, I must say we were very disappointed with the hotel. How it is rated as a four star hotel is beyond me. The room was tiny, outdated and freezing cold. It smelled musty, and the bed was tiny, both in width and breadth. The matress was old and springs worn out,not suitable for two people sleeping on it. The room did have a little fridge, and it had a kettle so you could make yourself a cup of tea in your room..If there was a plug to plug the kettle in that is!!! Further the hotel boasts it has a gym. Yes, it has, if you consider a tiny room in the basement containing a treadmill, an exercise bike and an elliptical machine a gym. No weight equipment, only an exercise ball.. Very disappointing. The positives of the hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to pretty much everything.. Also, the breakfast is half decent with a varied selection of foods for every taste. And, customer service was pretty good and the drinks in the bar were actually quite cheap. Nice to sit for a quiet drink (if you don't mind stepping back to the 1930s)... Those are the only reason I rate this place a 3..... I would only recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a bed to sleep in and not much else. The hotel is in desperate need of modernisation and revamp. I would not stay there again..
We recently stayed at Hotel Inca. Room was comfortable and clean nice sized bathroom. Breakfast was really nice and included in the price of the hotel. Staff were very helpful nice part of town quiet ten minute walk to trinidade station.
This hotel was very clean, amazing buffet breakfast! Located in easily accessible area. Staff always keen to help. Stayed with a friend over a weekend during January. The hotel is near many attractions and sightseeing areas, easily doable by foot. Definitely recommend this hotel. I plan to come back to visit Porto, and will gladly stay at this location. The hotel organised a taxi to take us to the airport, which cost approximately 25 euros, but the metro is easy to use as well.
Even Though the subway is convenient, the district/place is really not close to center. This is the only drawback. Hotel is nice, clean, no complaints. We did not eat there, so we don,t know the breakfast. Staff are friendly.
The hotel is located near to everything...the old city center, night life, trinidade metro station, shopping centre, shops, restaurants etc. It is a little warn down but clean. The staff is very friendly and nice. I don't like the carpet in the room but everything else is ok. The room is very clean. It has safe deposit box, frigde, airconditioning, tv etc. All you need. If you come with a car parking is available but payable. It' s good value.
Stayed here for two nights as part of an organised tour. Rooms were clean and spacious with decent air con and a good breakfast buffet. Nice enough hotel, bit dated in parts. Only downside was that my curtains were permanently drawn as my room was very overlooked
The gentleman at the front desk was very efficient and helpful when we arrived. His recommendation for dinner was also excellent. The hotel is situated in a central location, not too far to walk to hop on hop off bus, restaurants and the shopping district. Like all of Portugal, the walk always includes hills, so may be an issue for someone with physical limitations. We parked our car in a public garage a short distance away for 15E per day. There is a parking lot across from the hotel but it has two hour max and is monitored. Our room was a standard city hotel size. We had wifi in the room, the usual amenities as well as a kettle. They charge extra fro use the safe. The decor was generic, with a splash of colour; not drab nor modern. We were on the front side of the hotel, and we could hear noises from the hall and the street, but it was not annoying. Breakfast was a good variety and well presented.
Good location to explore city close to hop on hop off locations. Check in was quick and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Hotel is very clean with fairly modern deco. Nice to have a kettle and tea and coffee in the rooms. Breakfast was great with fried eggs and bacon a plus over most hotels scrambled eggs. Only problem I could find is they could use another towel bar in bathroom. Parking is pay parking about 100 ft up street and the safe you have to pay to use. I would definitely recommend
The hotel is in a good location on a little square, rather closed to the main sights. Two elevators, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is quite good, rather big choice, very good bakery products and famous portuguese cakes and sweets. Room spacious, minibar, flatscreen tv, aircondi, soundproof windows. Quick check in and check out. Only problem, that the walls are very thin, earplugs needed. Definitely recommend.
This was our first visit to Porto so the hotel was a gamble but one that paid off. Not far from city centre and pleasant restaurants. Its up a hill - but then again so are most places here - not complaining, just saying. All reception staff pleasant and helpful. Our room was very good (1st floor over reception) although there was some traffic noise during the night. Most enjoyable breakfast to set you up for the day. The high spot though was the evening drink in the bar after returning from a meal in a local restaurant. The very satisfying drink to round off the day was supplied by John who makes the best gin and tonic, according to my wife, that she has ever experienced. Outstanding. We would definitely use again.
Chose this hotel because we have had excellent stays at Best Western hotels in the past. Some reviews called it dated and in need of refurbishment but our experience was yes, it's decor is a little dated in places but the service was an old fashioned way of being curtious, helpful and very friendly! Our room on the first floor had been recently refurbished with an excellent bathroom, bed and working air conditioning. The room however needed higher hanging space for my wife's dresses and there was some road noise but not during our sleeping hours. Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice and ample hot coffee. The hotel is a 20/30 min walk downhill into the old town and advise a taxi or bus on your return. Loved this hotel - thoroughly recommended!
We booked this hotel a week before we went to Porto. Great price, free WiFi, breakfast included And that for the price of a 3-star hotel. It's near the centre And after a few day you'll know all the shortcuts. This might be one of the best hotels i've ever been. The beds are the only thing that weren't perfect to me but I weigh 215lbs. Not the newest or most modern place but they do open the door for you when you arive.
This Hotel is 6 minutes from the center of Porto and 20 minutes from the river. Inside the rooms they need renovation but they are clean. Breakfast is good and staff helpful. They charge 1.50 euros per day for the key of the mini safe. Good location for parking the car.
The rooms is too small The bathroom is too small and everything is old. The air-conditioner in my room was dropping water inside the room. The breakfast is very poor and there is no live cooking. The gym is very poor. In the other hand it's in a perfect location near everything (from monuments to restaurants and even night places)
Nice hotel, a little out dated as far as the room decoration and equipment are concerned. Agreable and amicable staff, very good breakfast buffet, major Porto attractions available within short distance.
This hotel has a good location at the top of the hill for an easy walk down to the river, breakfast has a wide range and the rooms are clean. The service made it for us and the receptionist couldn't of been more helpful. The rooms and hotel do need updating but for the cost and the amount of time the hotel is used on a city break it did the job perfectly.
This is an old hotel in the downtown. Localization is very good because is very near from metro stations and there are plenty of bars and restaurants. All the infrastructures are old and worn. In my opinion it's not a 4 stars. The room have carpet and it's very warm.
The hotel rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable - and an excellent rain shower - but the room was extremely compact - no room for any seating apart from the bed, the bedside tables minute, storage limited, the minibar hidden behind the suitcase stand and so camouflaged it took us 24 hours to locate - the picture missing and not replaced even when we pointed this out - no bath as advertised in our booking details - and very mean on toiletries - one little bottle of shampoo and shower gel expected to last two of us two days. We also had to keep going down to reception to ask for more tea bags/milk for room. Perhaps they hoped we would use the bar instead. Breakfast was OK with reasonable choice of cold buffet but very limited hot choice and quality OK not exceptional. Having said all that it was reasonable walking distance to the old town and all the sights as long as you are reasonably fit - OK for us but others may find the distance and uphill climb at the end of the day challenging and would need taxi. We were disapoointed with the hotel overall but it was the best available at short notice in reasonable price bracket. We also found good student eating places nearby for both evenings of our stay.
The hotel serves with everything you need. You'll reach the old town center within a 15 minutes walk or a short drive with a taxi. The interior of the rooms is a little bit oldfashiond, but everything is clean and in order. Service is very competent and friendly. Breakfast is included in the price.
This hotel rates as the worst I have stayed in for many years. Apart from the staff that on the whole were very friendly and helpful, there was nothing positive to report about. However, no porter was to be seen to assist with the luggage both on arrival as well as departure. The Dining Room staff had a very limited English vocabulary. The room was matchbox size and the bed certainly the smallest that I have slept in in a long time. The bathroom was so small that you could literally shave while sitting on the toilet with the washbasin right in front of you. The towels were not even folded up after our first night there. Then they still have the audacity to charge 3 euros so that you can access the safe. At most I will give this hotel a 2 out of 10 rating.
If you want a reasonable priced hotel in Porto then this is one for you. It is well located but out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, but within a 10 minute walk. The rooms are a little dated, but the cleanliness and service makes up for this. Breakfast is excellent and for those who like tea and coffee facilities in your room, this hotel provides them. The barman is so attentive, and was so helpful on our first night when we needed a meal, but were tired and didn;t want to walk far. If I went back to Porto would stay there again without hesitation.
We stayed for 2 nights in Porto. Hotel Inca was in a fabulous position, close to restaurants and significant landmarks. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic- lots of choices. It is a great place to stay. The
I didn't expect much when I first arrived at this hotel. First let me start off with the minor negatives. There was renovation work going on which meant the 1st floor out of 6 was out of bounds and only 1 of the w fairly dated small in size elevators was functioning. When I say dated I mean it had a door handle that needed manual opening and it was also slow and bit clanky. Also the room wasn't very sound proof as I could here the phone and the shower of the person in the next room go off as well. And i was slightly confused as to why suddenly I got a call from reception saying my cooling system needed sorting. Whichever way I am grateful they were apologetic about it as they were aware I was alseep at the time. Also my safe wasn't functional which wasn't a major issue. Now moving on to the good. The first good point was it was well located in the city and only a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station. Also the staff were extremely helpful to my needs, and the room was very comfortable and part from the minor mishap above, I had a great nights sleep overall. Also I needed help contacting a local tour company regarding some tours I booked and the person working on the desk was extremely helpful in sorting that out for me. Also I decided to have a quick snack and drink at the hotel bar and even that exceeded my expectations. Also the breakfast was of a very good standard and the wifi signal was beyond excellent. I would be more than happy to return here if I visited Porto again as I'm quite sure this hotel will be much better once all the renovation work has been completed.
Stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent , the reception staff were so helpful, and the guy behind the bar was so attentive . The rooms were clean , albeit a little dated, but no issues at all. We came back Valentines evening to find a single red rose and chocolates plus a love letter waiting for us. Breakfast was exceptional. The little restaurant down the road served us an excellent evening meal even though it looked a little basic, and there was an amazing wine shop round the corner which also served drinks, would recommend either. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed in this hotel for a week during January 2016, it is a clean hotel and cozy, the staff is very friendly there and the breakfast is good and tasty , they tried to do what they could to help us indeed, they have just one slight problem. Most of the rooms are very narrow and some of the rooms needs plumbing, to change a burnt lamp or an old batteries for a remote control for AC or TV. This is in general their problems.
Inca in old part of town with small bars and restaurants for locals nearby. however Riberia a short taxi ride or 15 min walk to river....Staff very friendly and recommend excellent restaurants ..try ZE Bota near Carmos 7 mins walk.. we went twice... hotel oldfashioned in style but warm and welcoming..I found breakfasts excellent extensive choice....and till 1030 good for visitors..shuttle to station and airport and easy ride to Gaia for the port lodges. Yes returning in the summer we stayed five nights to enjoy the flavour of the locality. and the city......Thanks Inca muito obrigado
The location is really good, near restaurants and shops and an easy walk to the river. The decor is dated to the point of being retro, but everything is clean and works. There was a fridge in the room and you could request a tea/coffee maker, iron, or other items but we didn't bother. The rooms were fairly large and quiet. The breakfast was typical, with baked goods, cold cuts and cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and a small hot selection. We paid for their secure parking in a garage just down the street. The staff were very helpful.
The hotel is in easy walking distance of the centre and buses and metro. There is parking opposite which is free at week ends. The rooms are standard and have a small fridge. Wifi can be intermittent. The breakfast was excellent, serving the usual breads, cereals and cakes with fresh fruit and a hot egg dish, different each day. Not to be missed is the small custard tarts a speciality of the area.
Never thought I'd book a BW in Portugal, but the Inca was a great find. Staff was very helpful, room was clean and quiet and breakfast was convenient, though very standard. The only downside was that this was a distance from the river and other main attractions. The walk from the train station was colorful and burned calories to be well spent later in the day!
Rooms were a good size with all you would expect. It is dated but we liked that. The breakfast was good with a large selection, stay away from the hot selection. It was a pity there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We would be happy to go back. The staff were friendly and helpful.
After an unfortunate experience of noise when we first arrived from neighbouring room and fearing that we would have an uncomfortable night I asked to be moved. Rooms are slightly small however all amenities available, room clean and bed very comfortable Breakfast superb,a very good fresh choice of food, offering lovely Portuguese pasties, fruit salad and other treats. The staff were very good and friendly and we would be happy to visit again.
The hotel is in a good location for exploring Porto, being very close to the centre but fairly quiet It is also comfortable, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. On the negative side, the rooms are on the small side, and the hotel décor is generally dated. The hotel only offered breakfast while we were there, but there are plenty of really good places to eat just a short stroll from the hotel
What''s good about this hotel is its location, close to the centre of Porto, and the friendly, helpful staff. On the negative aide, the rooms are small and lack anywhere to sit comfortably. The hotel is clean and tidy, but the decor is decidedly '70''s - just a shame I forgot my flares!
this hotel has a good location, is 5 minutes walk to one of the bus stops of the hop on and off buses, is in a very old part of town, the personnel is nice, there is a self service laundry two blocks away, open until midnigth, there are good places to eat around, among them cafe luso, but at hotel the carpet is very old, it looks worn out, dirty, they were nice when we needed anything, breakfast is very good, we had a nice view of the town, but pillows were not good and bed super hard
Multilingual helpful friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. No kettle in room and a daily charge for the use of the room safe. Breakfast buffet fresh and pleasant. Not very handy for public transport so taxis needed for the Ribiero etc. small, rather uninspiring bar but adequate for a place to wait.
Stayed here for one night with my son. The hotel is very tired and needs a complete renovation. The rooms are ok but all needs replacing. I certainly wouldn't want more than one night here. The shower was poor and the sink in the bathroom leaked. (505) We had a good nights sleep, but only because we were so tired. Didn't use the bar, so cannot comment on that. Breakfast was continental only, its was ok, but we had something more substantial at the airport. The plus signs are the staff were very friendly and helpful, the lady on the front dest let us check in early at midday and lent us a phone charger for our stay as we had forgot ours. Free wifi was a bonus in the hotel and it works in your room. Wouldn't stay again, sorry.
We stayed here for four nights with a group of twenty two ramblers from the UK and it proved to be a very conveniently situated hotel from which to walk down into the centre of Porto. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were very keen to offer advice about the city. It is only a half mile or so down into the city centre, but do beware, for the road back is steep and hard work on a hot day. However, we found the local taxis to be cheap and readily available. The rooms are not large but are reasonable in size and quite well appointed. I would advise trying to book a room facing the front as the back rooms look out on dark and dank courtyards. There is a small car park at the front of the hotel but I believe that the hotel has an arrangement with a nearby enclosed car park. The lounge is only small and can only accommodate twenty or so people but is comfortable and cosy. The breakfast is good and plentiful. All in all, a comfortable centre from which to explore the town.
Hotel staff very friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The Room neat, clean, tidy and very comfortable, breakfast very good. Their advice and excursions were very good and affordable. My wife and I will always recommend this hotel if someone wants to visit Porto, in Portugal.
One night only in August 2015. Easy to reach by car and they have a privat parking even if it cost 15 euro a day. Good position to visit the city, but not the best Rooms are tiny and a bit too old. Bathroom in my room was ridicously tiny Breakfast is good Great personnel, very friendly and professional
