The pluses were a very friendly and helpful staff, decent rooms, and a tolerable daily breakfast. The downside was the fact that the property is being upgraded, however, the elevator had brown paper taped all around it, the hallways had all sorts of construction equipment, plaster and debris on the floors. We were disappointed by the outdoor pool, the picture on the site showed clear blue water, our pool looked green and not usable, this is a poor representation of an amenity we were looking forward to using. We would have appreciated a heads up that the property was being renovated as after a long drive to the property we were looking forward to clean, comfortable accommodations and not having to step through nails, plaster, and debris to get to our rooms. We will no longer be staying at any Best Western property.
I don't usually write reviews but sure read them when choosing hotels so I've decided to start writing reviews. Everything was great. Room was refurbished, all worked well and staff in evening and morning were great. Have been enjoying rediscovering Best Western hotels. Will be using them more and more.
The ac unit is not working in room 210. It was very hot!! I let them know and they just came to look at it. I could have done that myself!!! The breakfast was good though the orange juice could be better!! Other than that it was ok. I will be thinking twice at staying there again if I am in the area!!!
The hotel is conveniently located off of I95 and it was a good stopping point in route from Florida to New York. It is easily accessible to Savannah if visiting Savannah is in your plans. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty standard and offered a reasonable selection of hot and cold food. I would suggest requesting a room facing the rear of the property because there is a tractor trailer parking area adjacent to the hotel parking area and there seems to be a steady amount of engine sounds at all hours of the night. Also, there are only 3 handicap accessible rooms in the hotel so request and confirm ahead if needed. The only thing that we found unusual was that, even if the rooms were vacant, we could not have a first floor room because they are "only available to guests with pets." Overall, we found the hotel comfortable and would stay there again if our travels took us there.
horrible experience here staff is rude and unwilling to help! location is horrible everything around this hotel is fast food and overpriced! $4.00 for a 16oz bottle of water at the hotel! no ground floor roooms unless traveling with a pet.please go 2 or 3 exits foor better choices!!!
The staff needs training. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was no as good as some motel breakfast included. We got a good night's rest.
Room was clean & fresh. Service by hotel staff upon arrival was excellent. So happy we chose Best Western.
I was looking for a place to stay that was halfway between Florida and North Carolina. This Best Western was conveniently located as a quick stop off I-95 and was decently priced so I gave it a try. It was such a lovely place that I booked a second night for the return drive home to Florida. The hot breakfast was fantastic - one of the best breakfasts at any Best Western I have stayed at. The rooms were nice, the temperature was comfortable, and the staff were all very pleasant. Great value for the money.
Very quiet and comfortable room. This is an older property but has been maintained pretty well. They offered a full breakfast and it got the job done. The motel is convenient to Savannah and Hilton Head activities.
Not enough staff. One person running everything. Check-in was thus extremely slow and backed up. Really tired of hotels cutting services while raising rates, and then cutting staff so that to get someone to even answer the phone is almost impossible, because the (one) person on duty is too swamped to do it. It give the place an out-of-control feeling that is not at all welcoming. The room was very nice. Bedding was good quality, clean, and comfortable. The elevators had warnings, crudely-written on blue tape placed over the buttons, indicating some problem with the buttons and the lights. So we took the stairs.
Not a bad place to sleep while your traveling. Overall the hotel looks nice, but is definitely in need of some up keep. We had a leaky toilet from the bottom seal. Breakfast started out really weak. Food was floating in plastic containers, but by the weekend it had turned around. Overall this is a good place to get a night or two of rest.
The room was dirty and smelled like mildew. The shower was not properly cleaned. The towels smelled old. The front desk staff was very rude about us checking in past 2:00 AM. There are other hotels around, go to one of those.
Paid with points. Given room with wobbly toilet, mildewed shower curtain, missing towels. Woman behind desk seemed put out by having to find us towels. People who stay often enough with BW to use points, should be given decent rooms. Very good breakfast however.
This hotel is worthy of 5 stars, one of the nicest place to stay in the area.the rooms were very clean and the bathroom was just like home plenty of towels and great water pressure. Not much else to say very good experience
Train runs past the hotel every 3 hours. Breakfast is about a 3-4 out of 10. Rooms are not clean as you would expect. Dead roach found in bathroom. Just better options out there and just not a relaxing clean environment you would expect after a long drive on the interstate.
Modern, clean, comfortable place, just off the interstate. Amazing price. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast that starts at 6am, allowing for an early start. We were on Motorcycles, and staff was extremely reassuring that they would be monitored all night. Thanks! Also, a Decent taco joint within 100 yards.
This is an old hotel and clearly need updates/remodeling. Only 1 working elevator. The toilet in our room would not flush and after several complaints to the desk, it worked so so. Sitting in the breakfast room one morning a Roach was crawling on our table. Bed pillows are lumpy. One plus near interstate.
The hotel has been renovated and is very spacious and attractive. I showed up without a reservation and was given a big room at the end of the hall with a comfy king bed. It was so quiet that I had the best night's rest I've ever experienced at a hotel. I was on a long trip home and really appreciated the quiet and comfort.
The route from Georgia to Virginia was the last "leg" of our trip. This exit/hotel/location was just perfect for stopping and sleeping. The girl checking us in was so kind and well mannered. The breakfast the following day had a vast selection of choices and the coffee was good!
Stay was excellent , rooms very clean . Up to date , smelled very clean . No complaints at all . Very satisfied , will definitely go agin . Bridgett at front desk was excellent , guy at breakfast bar so awesome .
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. Located very close to restaurants, stores and easy access to highway. Would definitely recommend this facility. very good quality for the price.
Don't arrive until 5 minutes before check in time, or you are charged $25. Don't expect to be recognized as an elite member. Do expect a gentleman to watch you eat breakfast, and have a sign requesting tips. Do expect the front desk person to not care if you are inconvenienced. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, easy off the highway, and easy drive to Savannah. High price, but the whole area is high priced.
The front desk checked us in quickly and explained the hotel amenities well. Breakfast was the standard eggs, toast, cereal, waffles etc. All were plentiful and tasted fine. The hotel is located near a busy intersection but there are many restaurants nearby.
We stayed overnight at this hotel in the way to Florida. Very comfortable, nice breakfast in the AM. There was an outdoor pool and fitness room, though I didn't use them. The room was big and beds were comfortable.
Easy access (though a 12 minute drive) to Historic Downtown Savannah. Property was clean, beds were comfortable. Staff was a little unsettling as they did not give a professional appearance. Property is tired, needing refurbishment, but was a relative bargain compared to other similar properties.
Recently stayed at the Savanna North location while traveling. Room was clean and ready upon arrival. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the following morning, however we did not avail ourselves of any other features of this location.
This is a very clean and comfortable place. The front desk staff is very accommodating. The location is convenient to multiple great places to eat. The rooms are quite large and cozy. The proximity to I95 is great. Will use again when we pass through Savannah
I would not recommend this hotel! My experience was one of the worst experience I ever had in my entire time that I have ever travel. The hotel room needs an upgrade and experience several problems. Thanks
The first floor room smelled like a moldy, musty, damp basement. There was a dead cockroach in the room. The person at the desk insisted it was not a "city roach" but unfortunately we're familiar with what they look like. At least it was dead.
I might have been more fogiving if this was in the middle of the pandemic, but we are well out of it and there is no excuse for this kind of experience. 1) Overwhelming midldew smell in room. 2) inoperable TV. 3) Business center also inoperable (computer, 2 printers not working). 4) Mediocre breakfast.Lousy coffee.
If you are traveling in the Georgia area on interstate 95. the best western in Port Wentworth may be worth staying. the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is good. it located right off the highway for easy access. the only issue was is the cost is just a little high for me. Normally the best western is reasonable but it could have been the my timing.
It was a good stay and one of the best Best Westerns we have stayed at in our road tripping. The room was clean and we had one of the best sleeps of our whole trip here. I was glad to get biscuits and gravy at the breakfast before heading out for the day. The staff were very pleasant!
Rick and the staff were really nice and made a fantastic breakfast eggs, grits, sausage, biscuits, cereal and alot of other things. Really hot shower it seemed like it would never run out of hot water clean and fresh towels everyday. Granted it's about 30 minutes to an hour away from savannah its really great and affordable.
Amazing hotel for price! Rick and Caroline were amazing! Very clean and good breakfast. I think it is a great option that is close to downtown Savannah if you are a tourist planning to go in the area.
Very nice hotel. The people were great and very accommodating. Clean rooms and good breakfast. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Quiet rooms and great showers. The towels were thick and soft.
We were helped by a very charming lady at the front desk who went out of her way to get us a first floor room. She showed us the snack area and answered my questions about local food options. Very friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff. Clean room, but bed not as comfortable as I had anticipated. Good breakfast variety. Priced a little higher than comparable hotels, but it was a weekend and near a tourist destination.
It located near a truck stop, so with all the traffic from the trucks, it is very noisy and hard to sleep at night due to that. Breakfast is provided. Room cleaning was done daily. Front desk lady named Tahera was very accommodating, and nice!
I kept feeling like something was crawling on me in the night. I finally was able to swat at it in the dark and felt it. Got up and went to the bathroom and I had killed it and had blood on my hand. Went back to inspect the area and found a smaller one crawling up the wall near the headboard. I put the dead one and living one in a cup and took it to the front desk. The clerk was friendly, however was unable to provide me a refund. We left with no shower, no breakfast. I couldn't leave quick enough even though it was 5:00am! Clerk told me the manager would call me. I asked for her number and she provided it to me. About an hour after leaving, the clerk called and asked me to wait until tomorrow to call the manager because she is off today. I feel like this warrants contact as soon as possible. And a thorough exterminator visit!!
good location. Parking was okay. Night staff was excellent and responded to our needs. Activities were easy to find. No problems and lots of pamphlets to entertainment and tourist events and locations.
The room was a basic room, but not the best cleaned room. My guest and my allergies were triggered the whole while there. We had trouble with our key cards and had them replaced, only to experience the same issues. We requested house cleaning services and specifically requested new bedding. The beds were made up with the same dirty bedding. We had to wait for an attendant at the front desk more than once. It's on the same level as a higher-priced motel at this point. Not sure why this hotel is named Best Western “PLUS.”
The room was cleaner than last time I was here this time only a used tissue behind the night stand was left but last time I stayed here a dirty diaper was left in the vault. Also when I went to the room this time there was no pillows on the bed and when I got the pillows I didn't get pillow cases. The elevator didn't work every time when I went for the pillows I had to take the stairs because the elevator doors were not staying closed. The second time I went to use the computer but when I was finished the elevator doors would not open. Finally the hallways were hot and occasionally smelled.
From check-in to check-out everything was awesome. The staff checked me in with ease. We came to Savannah on a couples trip and was very pleased with the distance from all the attraction to this location. The room was big and spacious and breakfast was delicious..
Relatively last minute stop on drive home from Florida on a Friday night (reserved online about two - three hours before checking in). A few others also checking in at same time, although it was about 10pm. Employee was on her own, handling all with very friendly and professional manner. Really left a good impression; and it was obvious that she cares about the comfort and concerns of guests checking in. Room was very clean; comfortable bed and shower had good water pressure and hot water in morning. Breakfast was good and coffee was delicious. Would stay here again.
I reserved and paid in advance for 2 rooms in June 2021. When we arrived we were told there was no availability. I have still not been refunded my $489.23. The MANAGER does not return my calls. Best Western customer service does little to help.
The room was clean and comfortable. The night and day staff were friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions, Even though our stay was only one night as we still had another full day of travel we were able to relax and enjoy our stay.
This hotel shows has a NO PET policy. The hotel was full of dogs of all sizes. We dropped our belongings in our room and stepped out. Upon our return a couple and their very large dog was in our room. They were unpacking even though we had already dropped our stuff off. It doesn't end there! During our stay 2 other families tried to enter our room while we were in bed. The most frustrating and unacceptable experience at a Best Western. Each time I had to go to front desk because our key card was cancelled and assigned to others. The front lobby was packed with one employee trying too manage reservations and those looking for rooms. The booking system did not work so the employee had to go to each room and floor to see what was available. Hence the triple booking because our room was not listed as booked. At 11 pm front desk was banging on our door asking for our name. She continue down the hall doing the same. At midnight she returned to room across the hall banging and asking for their name. Never in my life have we had such a horrific experience. We are Diamond Best Western rewards customers and I expect the best service, experience and be valued as a customer. I have sent a written complaint asking for a full refund. Our experience was the absolute worst stay at any hotel.
We were surprised the room was as clean as it was for a Best Western. No noise at night. Breakfast was good. We were arriving late and the night clerk checked us in by phone. Only negatives were no luggage carts at night and BW really needs to clarify their pet policy for this hotel. We need a pet free room due to asthma and allergies and their website says they are pet free. Luckily we were ok with a bit of medication. But we should have been able to know this policy before check in and management should consider pet free rooms for sensitive guests. Otherwise we felt this was a good value.
Great location right off I95 and plenty of places nearby to get food. Room was wonderful and traveling with our dog there is a great place to walk. Liked the fact that a full breakfast was included. Room was well appointed and comfortable.
We stayed to visit family. This is a fairly new hotel but was very reasonably priced thru Expedia. The desk clerks greeted us & were very nice & friendly. We stayed 3 nights. R room was very clean with very comfortable beds. The breakfast variety was pretty good & tasty for the price of the room. The gentleman who was servicing the breakfast was efficient & friendly. I spoke briefly to a housekeeper & she was nice & friendly. We were very happy guests
Just happened to be stopped by this Best Western, figured I would give it a shot. Definitely worth the money. I used my membership card and got a great rate. The staff here were over the top wonderful. The place is starting to show it's age. The carpet is showing heavy traffic. The TV is is a few years behind the times. Unfortunately during this trying time, there was no breakfast as advertised. Don't know if was a staffing issue or supply. Overall it was a good stay. Can't say enough about the staff. Awesome.
Stayed at this hotel for two nights on my trip to visit the city of Savannah, GA. I am partial to the Best Western brand of hotels so I always try to stay at one when possible anytime I am on a road trip. Most of the hotels I have stayed at usually exceed my expectations I am happy to say. But this particular one was a tad underwhelming in my opinion. The room was nicely furnished, all the amenities such as the TV and WiFi worked well, I had plenty of hot water for showering and parking was plentiful in a well lit parking lot. As for the....well lets's just say the areas of improvement I feel are needed. First, hot breakfast items such as eggs and bacon or sausage are only served ONLY on weekends. During the week if you desire such you have to go across to the nearby McD's. The only hot food you can get during the week are waffles. The exercise room was not maintained as far as making sure it was kept neat and orderly and the same applied to the guest laundry. The TV channels could use a increase of available channels for the guests entertainment. When I entered my room the odor was somewhat unpleasant which was from what I assume, the AC being left off between guests thereby allowing the room to get a funky smell. And finally, a couple of the staff members, ( I won't mention names or their positions) could use a refresher course on how to be more pleasant to the guests. One of them came across as if she couldn't be bothered to answer questions I had. So in some respects my stay there was pleasant for the most part as the room served its main purpose. In other respects I was left disappointed.
What a sparkling clean – and friendly – Best Western this is… thanks to a warm greeting from Tahera at the Front Desk. We so appreciated her working with us on our arrival time to make certain our room was ready. And such a fantastic room (this, thanks to Breece when we booked it): a King Suite that had a wet bar, small refrigerator with a little freezer, windows that opened for a breeze, a giant bathroom with tub. A tiny head's up: the room is huge, an L-shape that allows someone who may rise early to not disturb a late-sleeper – but here's the head's up. The TV is way across the room from the bed, so there may be some squinting. But everything else about this suite more than makes up for that. Once again, thank you so much, Tahera – for your professionalism, pride and good cheer. Nicely done here, GM Nirav!
Hotel was very clean. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and had recommendations when asked about food options in the area. Booked online through Best Western website and check in and checkout was very easy. Would definitely stay there again.
Ok so I am a frequent visitor but after this stay I think I'll have to stay some place else! Let me explain im a corporate traveler that visits Savannah area several times a year and this was a real disappointment this time! 1. We arrived and the staff is always the best, easy check in and polite! 2. The elevator is breaking down and wasn't working properly. The outside of 3rd floor was very unclean and didn't look like someone cared. 3. Arrived in the room and looks like all the wall art was taken down and never replaced during thir renovation. The beds and furniture have seen its life span. I'd say for a corporate Best Western standards this is declining and fast. Very disappointing! 4. The season wasn't ready for pool but it was unbelievable it was green and no one was addressing it. There were beer bottles, broken glass all over as well as cans. No trash cans for anyone to place them in. 5. The worst part is at the 8am the breakfast was cold and not appealing actually think I got sick as it as it wasn't monitored. 6. At 830am get back to the room to shower and leave there wasn't any hot water now really guys thats not acceptable we waited an hour did what we could and went home. Again for one of my go to places I am very disappointed this trip in the overall conditions and situations we were placed in! So buyers be ware there are some better accommodations that are not far and at same rates with better attention to details!
We were on our way to Florida and were looking for a one night stay. The front desk person was very indifferent upon greeting. Felt like we were bothering her. Understandably, Covid restrictions were in effect but alittle nicer greeting would have been nice. The room was ok, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. But NO hot water for the morning shower. Glad we weren't staying longer.
I honestly don't know how BW determines which properties qualify for Plus level but a room with pictures off The wall (4 sets of hardware speak to their absence) and a pool full of dirt and debris!? It's spring break for goodness sake! I checked their website which promised exercise room, pool and hot breakfast would be available. Maybe I should have been suspicious of poor service when the desk clerk didn't mention diamond status or offer the “members reward' of bottled water and a snack so prominently displayed at checkin desk. I'm not quick to find fault but I'm back in the room to change out of my suit and I'm NOT happy.
We stayed here on our way home from Florida and were very pleased with the experience. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The location was convenient, right off 95, and was close to downtown Savannah. Would definitely stay here again.
Conveniently located just off I 95. Safe and well lighted parking area. All inside access rooms. Clean and well kept inside and out. Trains can be a little annoying at times. All amenities were in working order and had no problems with the accommodations.
The hotel is a great location, very quiet and convenient to the I-95 highway. You can walk to the Taco shop and convenience store nearby to get supplies and dinner. We stopped for the night on our travels. The hotel was very nice! The lobby was spacious and clean. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff was exceptional!
We stopped here on our way to drop our son off for the semester. The room was fine. The lady checking us in was nice but wore her mask under her nose. The lady working the morning didn't even wear one even though signs are posted. Breakfast is mostly packaged stuff because of health concerns. That's to be expected. The lady working was sitting watching tv. Tables were dirty and could have been wiped off.
updated, modern, reasonable rates, friendly people well worth the stop. Close to the highway which makes it easy to get to and get going from.Staff was very friendly and willing to go out of there way to make your stay pleasant.
Great place to stay! Clean, accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, right in the heart of everything! And the bed are soooo comfy! The hostess was so friendly. She gave all kinds of information on the area and where you could find different attractions and different restaurants.
I had a terrible experience the night before at a Best Western Sure Stay Plus in Roanoke Rapids, NC, so I was skeptical about trying another Best Western. I was, however, very impressed with my lodging accommodations here in Port Wentworth, GA, right off of I-95. My room looked clean and smelled fresh. I would definitely stay here again.
Thankfully and luckily, I do not often have to leave bad reviews. I also hate to leave a bad review based upon the actions of 1-2 individuals, I however, adhere to honesty and the facts. My family and I stayed here one night whilst traveling. Thankfully, it was only one night. The room was fine. The breakfast was fine considering Covid was going on. However, there were two "ladies" employed here who destroyed any chance of a good experience. The morning of our check-out, these two "ladies" who worked the front desk (one, having a managerial role) somehow got into a VERY VERY loud shouting match with someone on the phone. So loud was it, that many guests came out of their rooms (us too) to see what was going on. It was a very long argument that lasted at least 15-20 minutes. The two "ladies" had someone on their mobile phone on speaker and were yelling at the top of their lungs and using every nasty word you can think of...including words that start with "C" and words that start with "F." I'm no stranger to salty language (there's always a time and a place), but these two "ladies" would make a drill sergeant blush. Seriously. I have never ever witnessed anything so unprofessional and so disturbing at a hotel ever, anywhere. It's the sort of thing you would expect to see out of two highly drunk 21 year olds outside of a club at 3am on the Vegas strip. Certainly not employees at work at 10am at a hotel. These two "ladies" moved their shouting match with the person on the phone outside, but of course, everyone who had a room on that side of the building could now be made aware and woken up (assuming they already were not). It was quite severe. Again, when you disturb the entire hotel with a foul-mouthed screaming match and guests cannot check-out or get assistance from the front desk, then something is direly wrong. I also encountered one of these two "ladies" (the "manager" of the two) at the coffee dispenser about 20 minutes before the shouting match. She stood in front of the coffee dispenser on her phone dispensing multiple coffees for at least 5 minutes whilst the queue behind her grew (including myself). Because of Covid, everyone had to keep their distance. She took no thought or care about that. I finally gave up and sat down in the lobby until she was finished chatting on her beloved phone and dispensing her barrels of coffee. It shouldn't take longer than 10 seconds to dispense a coffee. Again, she did not care one bit for the guests that she inconvenienced. I thought that was poor service, but then when the shouting match started about 20 minutes later, I soon found out how terrible she was. In order to check-out, there was a very nice guy that apparently was called into work to work in their stead (he had been off of work for a few weeks due to Covid); he was very helpful, friendly, and apologetic. He helped us with a very simple request and helped us check-out, as well as other guests. We encountered housekeeping, they were very kind too. Everything was fine with the hotel and the other staff (which is why I rate it as "Poor" instead of "Terrible"), but those two "ladies" that morning was beyond anything that I have every experienced anywhere in all of the countries and continents I have ever visited (which includes China and the Middle East). Congrats on making a memorable experience, but not a positive experience.
I hate to leave negative re8if I don't have to, but when you opened the door to my room 206, you could smell a moldy smell right away. Everything else in the hotel was clean without any smells. I always stay at Best Westerns, and this is very unusual for them, even though the staff sitting down the entire time of my stay my made excuses that it was normal without doing anything. Hopefully they correct the room(s) mildew smell problem.
Windows were very dirty. Looked like a child had finger painted on them. Tables by elevator was dirty. Staff did not wear masks, (front desk and cleaning staff) There was a sign on the door saying masks were required. Must have been a joke. Came back from dinner around 8 pm. Doors were on night mode and staff were gone,
Easy Check-In and Out:) Quiet room overall during the night:) Nice comfortable bed and room came off clean:) Employees checking us in very friendly:) Shower curtain would not stay closed:( Shower/tub floor creaked when standing within it:( Could NOT use gym equipment without sighing up :(
We arrived late in the evening and was very kindly greeted at check-in. The woman was very friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable with nice pillows. We heard no sounds from the other rooms. On check-out I accidentally left my Ipad in the room and the cleaning staff brought it to me so obviously very trustworthy staff there. I highly recommend this hotel.
Check in was easy and even though there was a rain storm occurring at the time things went smooth. The motel overall was clean enough however we would have like to have been advised that the motel pool was down and the ice machines were not ab\\available-maybe due to CoVid 19??
We reserved a room here online. Upon arrival, the front desk rep was in a back room, talking on her personal cell before realizing we were waiting for 3 minutes. She was unable to check us in without calling another rep, placing that rep on video, showing her the computer screen. All-in-all, it took about 15 minutes for her to get us checked in properly. It took another 5 minutes to get the room keys, after I had to request them. Of course, we got to our room and both keys were not programmed correctly causing me to go back down to the desk to have them reprogrammed. After that, only one key worked. When we entered our room and turned on the AC, it made this terrible loud racket, but after the fiasco of checking in, I was afraid to request another room. I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic and reopening things but that is no excuse to have staff attending alone who are not trained properly enough to be left on their own. And I should mention, that each time we walked through the lobby, the attendant was either on her personal cell or outside smoking.
The hotel was well located along the 95. Easy access, clean rooms and good breakfast. Staff are very helpful. Would recommend hotel for one night stop.I like the fact you can get back onto the highway quickly. Plenty of restaurants close by.
The 4th floor carpet smelled horrible it hit you soon as the elevator doors open my toilet didn't flush in the first room and long black hair on the shower wall and tub went to Walmart bought cleaner and clean my shower first time staying at Best Western Plus don't foresee myself staying here again I was here for a birthday party let me not forget the power in the event room only works on the back wall extension cords had to be used and placed in the walking area limited parking a bus decided to take all the parking in the front which shouldn't have been allowed that bus could have parked in the back due to limited parking because they are working on extending the parking area I guess that's whats happening I didn't enjoy my stay
Easy on and off I-95. Easy travel to downtown historic Savannah. Great breakfast area and good selection of breakfast items. Nice clean and comfortable room. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Water pressure and temperature could have been a little better. The only problem we had was our key cards kept having to be reprogrammed. Would stay here again.
Very helpful employee with our check-in. Nice hotel with good breakfast in the morning. Reasonable price and nice clean room. McDonald's across the street from the hotel but not much other eating facilities close.
Breakfast needs a little work, what food there was, was good, but the hot breakfast buffet was out of most items, no eggs, sausage and whatever was supposed to be in the other 2 places for hot items. Coffee was also out. We had to leave and could not wait for items to be put out and others had same feeling. Apparently they did put some food out as we were leaving though. Great room though. Not many place to eat near motel though.
The place is Ok but this place needs some dusting. The cubbies below the bathroom sink have a layer of dust. The recessed panels on the back of the bathroom door are thick with dust. This hotel won't be first on my list next time I'm passing through.
This was a comfortable place to stay while returning home on a long drive home. The bed was very comfortable and the staff very pleasant. Paper products were too thin. Location cnvenient, being right off I-95, little traffic but several restaurants and gas stations to choose from.
This stay was exceptional.... from the curb appeal to the express check out. It was a great stay. The ladies at the front desk during check in were such a delight and really started the stay off on the right foot!
Based on reviews I decided to try this motel instead of others I have stayed at in Port Wentworth. It was a bad decision. The staff is very nice and the rooms are clean enough. But, it is not quiet. The walls are paper thin. I hear the coughing next door as I write. And, I've heard a train I never heard at other places "up" the road. There are lots of places to stay in Port Wentworth. Oh the coughing..... go up the road.
Clean, new hotel. Great location and price. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Breakfast room server kept food flowing, and dining room clean. Housekeeping had our room sparkling clean. Front desk at check in and out we're wonderful. They all should be rewarded. Many thanks to them all for making our stay a fabulous one.
very roomy king bed room. roomy lobby and check in area. Breakfast good. mattress enclosed in its own covering. good to know. Bed was comfortable to sleep in. very good value. easy location to get into and out of.
When trying to schedule a trip to visit Savannah last fall within my budget, I discovered there was no affordable hotels within the Savannah area. Even outside the historical district, rate was unreasonable high considering their locations with paid parking. If I have to get a car rental and drive for this trip, there is no reason not to look outside Savannah. In addition there are sightseeing to be done outside the historical district. So unless I want to pay for tour service, staying inside Savannah does not completely eliminate driving. And this hotel fits all my needs, it is roughly 20-minute away from Savannah. Like most BW, this has free parking and breakfast as well. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast has the usual hot and cold items. Services were not exceptional but I did not encounter any issue worth mentioning. Plenty of car parking around the hotel. I did not visit the pool or the exercise room so I cannot comment. Overall I have a nice stay there and would consider staying there again when visiting the surrounding area.
Much wider range of hot and cold breakfast items than most hotels that include a breakfast. We didnt face the road, our room faced the very quiet woods. We would recommend this back side of the hotel.
Upgraded my room. It is equipped with a comfortable bed, large bathroom, chair, sofa, dinette table with sink. The room was clean and quiet. Pleasant staff. Good selection of breakfast items. Would recommend. Easy to get to off I-95.
We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the 3 different BW's we stayed at on this trip. ALL of them had new wonderful bedding in addition to the obvious appearance upgrades. Rooms are reasonably priced and I believe they are on a successful track to garner a lot of business from competitors. Good job.
I and my family were satisfied with the staffs and services provided. Specially, this Best Western PLUS provides great breakfast. Also, there are many convenient stores around this hotel. So, you do not need to drive around to find any convenient stores.
We got a room where the a/c is inoperable (425), we did not get a very good night sleep the first night. I never got anything from the repair request I sent online but we were able to switch rooms the second night after talking to someone at the front desk for the second time about the problem. The breakfast was decent, get out there earlier for better options because what is out does change as the morning progresses.
We stayed here this past week for 4 days and enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms are newly renovated and very spacious. The best past about our stay was breakfast every morning. Offer plenty of options.
The front desk were polite,Our room was o.k.,But the hallways smell stale, our A/C leaked onto the floor. Now to my complain,For the money it was an o.k. stay the first time I stayed breakfast was wonderful there was an older white lady, working hard to be sure everything was just right for everyone staying, GREAT SERVICE,Thank you,The next 2 days we had to different other ladies a Ruth who was rude as could be an the food was old, dried out an cold, the next day was a skinny black lady with no name tag, She hardly came out of the kitchen, Tables were dirty,She didn't talk to anyone an look mad,For our whole breakfast.every time I went for the eggs or sausage it took ten minutes for her to come out an check. If you want breakfast I'd say go somewhere else. Without a breakfast the price is to high to stay here,
We had a terrible experience here, The "room key machine" was not working so we had to have an employee walk us to our room each time we entered it. This wouldn't have been so bad if they had entered us in the right room in their computer. Consequently, they argued with us about which room we were in and then did not provide maid service or replenishment of items such as clean towels and toilet tissue because their computer listed us in a room we weren't in. All of this would have been forgiven if they had followed through with the promised adjustment to our room charge. it's been over two months since we were there and even after several communications and promises, there has still been no adjustment. This is very poor customer service. Does the management think I won't remember they promised an adjustment - even wrote me that they would credit me. Hasn't happened yet, so I don't imagine I will get the promised refund. I won't be staying there again.
We stayed here for 3 nights while in Savannah to see our son in a theatre production. The hotel was exceptionally clean and modern. Beds were very comfortable. Microwave and refrigerator in room breakfast was more than adequate. Fruit, waffles, yogurt, eggs and sausage. Only disappointed in coffee. Not fresh brewed but from concentrate in a machine. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We will surely return for a longer stay soon to see more of beautiful Savannah. Only 10 miles from city center.
Charge extra 30$ for 4 tissus left on the ground. I had my baby and he was sick, no more space in the trash bin. Employee named Renee is rude and not professional. I would not recommend, probably one of the worst customer service experience I experienced yet.
The hall ways smelled like gym socks the room smells and feels damp. The breakfast was horrible. Meat dried and burnt not a lot to choose from. The workers never stayed at the front desk. They just sit in the dining area.
The hot food for breakfast was late due to staff shortage..everything else was good. The lobby was nice. The lobby had fresh complimentary water for guests.Room was clean and comfortable.Check out was easy.
great place to stay ,very close to i-95 friendly helpful people, clean and neat .the room was great the breakfast is very good ,will stay there again when going to and from Florida.the only drawback was the traffic designs and construction going on there.
The problem with the Best Western brand is that you never know what you are getting until you et there. This one, just north of Savannah, was a gem. The recent renovation was tasteful and nicely done. The rooms were excellent...we both had a great night's sleep on extremely confortable mattrasses. Rooms and bathrooms were spotless. Breakfast was very good. Free breakfast, free wifi, free parking. With the online coupon the rate was extremely reasonable. (Of course front desk staff should learn that online coupons do not need to be printed.)
Room was very nice and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. One negative, in the morning there was dirt on the floor in the halls from the construction workers even though there were places for them to scrape their shoes outside the door. Not a good way to wake up on the way to breakfast. Would stay here again.
For an overnight stop, visiting Savannah en route from Florida to North Carolina, this takes some beating. Very good location; nice, clean and welcoming; and a very quiet night's sleep (apart from the train at 7am!). Very easy drive into Savannah, and perfect for getting straight back on I-95. Decent breakfast, too. At $10 cheaper, this would be 5-star value.
Very nice stay at this hotel. It was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Nice breakfast food selection. Staff was friendly and helpful! I will plan to stay here in the future.
Desk clerk might be the best I have evèr encountered. Breakfaßt with the ladies who prepared was a super experience, hot, good, ßuper selection, excelent preparation, presentation. Room was suite-like. Gòd parking, quiet, just right for me amd you.
Nice clean rooms nice staff. Breakfast was great in the morning. I have stayed here multiple times and plan on staying here every time in the area. They have just recently renovated the whole hotel. Best hotel in the area.
We stopped here on our way home from vacation. We planned to stop a few hours in Savannah so I made a reservation at this hotel ahead of time. Our room was fine. We would have taken a king bed but for some reason it was a few dollars more expensive. Check in was slow for whatever reason. Also the key cards were not working so the staff had to run up and unlock everyone's door every time we went out. Not sure what that was about. Since we were only there to sleep then were moving on, it wasn't a big deal to us. Breakfast was just ok. I've had better. The lobby floor looked like someone used a dirty mop on it. The hotel itself is in good repair. I was not a fan of the shampoo and other toiletries. They smelled like furniture polish.
Room was very nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy off and on to interstate 95. The breakfast could be a little better, but it was ok. I would stay there again.
We were greeted by Ansa Rae Smith and she was friendly, polite and a pleasure to work with. But the establishment needs some upkeep. The first room we had, as we requested, had a king bed but smelled so musty we had to request another room. They only had queen doubles so we got that and the room was fine. But then there was no tv remote. Ansa quickly got us one but it did not work. We did not bother to ask for assistance because she was very busy and we were just there for the night. Because of a power problem due to construction across the hotel, the room key pad did not work. This resulted in Ansa having to walk us and everyone else to the room and use a universal key every time the room had to be opened. Never once did Ansa not have a smile on her face. She made the stay pleasurable despite the inconveniences. She is a keeper. Kudos to her.
Room was clean and stylish. Front desk was very helpful at check in. Had an outdoor pool but we didn't have time to check it out. We stopped at 2 other hotels in the area before this one. They looked a little sketch and one claimed they couldn't even check for availability because of a system update. Had no problem walking in and securing a room here.
I stayed overnight to break up a trip. Room was large and comfortable. Very convenient to I 95 (Can see from the highway.) Breakfast was above normal with good selection of hot foods. I stay quite a bit at Best Western as value for money beats many of the other chains and this property did not disappoint. Will definitely stay here again if convenient during trip.
This is a safe and clean area right outside Savannah if you don't want to pay the high prices of a downtown hotel. It is recently renovated with modern amenities. Staff is very friendly and rooms are clean and good sized. The TV channels were a bit limited but overall a great place to stay if you are not looking for the resort style hotel and high prices.
We drove from East Texas to see Savannah for a couple of days and stayed here. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were extremely helpful. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel.
We needed a place to crash after a 10 hour drive, I called Best Western last minute requested a room and compared the price to all the locations along my route for the best deals, the rep was able to check which location had the best rates that was nice and I saved some money
Our group stayed here during a bus tour of the Savannah area. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Lots of breakfast options. While waiting to depart the hotel the following morning, we were informed by the bus driver that there was a problem with the bus and we would have to wait until a mechanic arrived and the bus was repaired. During our more than 3 hour wait, the hotel staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The General Manager, Nick, even offered to order lunch for us and provide bottles of water. This was Southern Hospitality at its best.
Attractive, clean hotel with nice, comfy rooms just off I95. Staff was friendly and helpful despite a tour group with a lot of senior citizens who required a bit of extra help. Breakfast was a step above the normal Comfort Inn/Best Western Plus (which is pretty good). Lots of restaurants nearby (tho not walkable). This is on our list of favorites.
Very good place to stay! Would definetly stay here again. Clean rooms, no bugs, comfortable beds, nice decor! Stayed here 2 nights on business using company hotel card. Front desk girl, who was very nice, tried on insisting on having my personal credit card on file for "incidentals". I don't do incidentals! I never give up a personal card, thats why we have corporate cards. They want a personal card so they can charge you an exuberant fine if they THINK you smoked or brought a pet in or wrecked the room or some other perceived slight. After a friendly discussion, she relented and I accepted her doing me a favor by letting me slide on the policy. The lobby and halls were sweltering, but the room was nice and cool. Double queen beds, I prefer a king, but beggars can't be choosers, right? One night stand for 2 beds, but hey, it was just me. 3 open power outlets behind the nightstand, one on a lamp plus 2 more wall outlets. Plenty for all chargeable devices. A lounge chair was squeezed in next to one of the beds. Comfortable but not very functional. View from the window was over the rear of the parking lot where several shipping containers were sitting. A bit of an eyesore. I also had a good view of the dirty and cloudy pool. Kinda glad I hadn't planned on taking a dip. The bathroom was small and cramped, but that's pretty much the norm for motel rooms. Two negatives, the motel opted for harsh florescent bulbs instead of soft lights which didn't make for much of a homey feel. The ac fan blower was very noisy, as if someone dumped a bag of rocks in it and let them rattle around. I asked for maintenance to take a look at it, don't know if they ever did. Shower water pressure was a little on the low side but manageable with the right shower head setting, of which there were several. The spicket was loose against the wall and felt like it might break off. Shampoo bottles were super tiny. This room was designed for a 4 person occupany and these bottles were barely big enough for a single person. The workout room was very small with 3 machines, a weight bench and a variety of dumbbells. Where this motel truly stood out and shined was their breakfast bar! 6 stars here! First day had scrambled eggs, sausage patties, home fried potatoes and gritts as well as waffles, varied breads n muffins, cereals fresh fruit and canned fruit cocktail as well as hard boiled eggs. Milk, coffee and various juices were also availabe. Second day offered an omelet choice or eggs over hard with two sausage choices, links or patties, biscuits and gravy and grits. Awsome selection! Best I've seen for a free motel breakfast buffet! Kudos! Would have been a perfect stay if not for the ac noise! Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was very clean inside and outside. It appear to have been upgraded with most of its furniture. TV remote did not work. There is no one there on weekend to make small repiars. The lady at the front desk could really care less about her job. Overall experience was excellent. Clean hotel. Very clean
My family and I felt very at home in our short stay it was well work the money spent. The circumstances of the trip was a funeral so it wasn't planned joyous occasion however everything worked out for our good.
We did a pre-check in by phone and by email prior to our arrival on August 24-25th. We had requested early check in if available and extra blankets. My sister and I walked in and started to tell the clerk we had a reservation, she was bent over her computer and stayed there the whole couple of minutes. She informed us that no rooms were available. She was rude and no help what-so-ever. I inquired about shopping nearby and she couldn't be bothered so she said there are brochures around the corner. The phone was not working as we did not receive the blankets we requested nor was there enough towels for the 4 of us so my brother-in-law had so walk down to the front desk to get the towels. We never did get the blankets. When we went for breakfast they were completely out of eggs and bacon and was not refilled during the time we were there. The pool looked dirty and a terrible green color so my nephew could not use the pool. I cannot recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay here again.
When we arrived this hotel looks very nice. However our room had an extreme musty smell, the bathtub had some mold and when it became dark outside we realized how dark the room was. It didn't help that one lamp had no lightbulb and another was not very bright.
The Staff upon arrival very nice and accommodating. Very clean lobby. Hotel is kept up very well. Our room was very clean and the beds and pillows were quite comfy and bathroom was clean so those are the only things that matter to me as I never eat the breakfast.
This is our 3rd time staying here and as always it was an amazing stay. The room clean, the staff always friendly, the location is great. And the breakfast was hot and fresh. We will only stay there..
Excellent location, friendly staff, very clean, excellent breakfast included; eggs, sausages, biscuits, waffles, coffee, juice and more, very quiet, near outlets, restaurants and fast food. I totally recommend this hotel.
New hotel. Very clean. Great staff. We were very pleased with our stay here. Went into Savannah for dinner. Would recommend this hotel. Close to freeway easy ride into Savannah. Check out the Chart House if you are looking for a fine dining experience. Waterfront is great.
Poorly run. Booked a room with a sofa bed. Not useable. They provided no sheets, pillows or blankets. The sofa is old and nasty. The pull out bed, if it had sheets is awful. Not as advertised. Way overpriced. When I asked the desk for sheets they said they couldn't get any. They had no pillows and the linen room was locked. Said talk to manager in morning. We checked in 1am traveling for a funeral. Next morning 9am housekeepers knocking on door and they did not provide a do not disturb sign. Asked for late checkout for funeral. Not an option. Employees here don't care. Dirty room. Stay away. Outdated, poor breakfast.
Decided on a last minute getaway and thought Savannah was just the place to go. This BE hotel will not disappoint you. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Beds and room in very clean and good repair. I will make this a stop on future excursions up 95 corridor. It is close to many rating establishments and is co variant to the city .
The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again. The drive to downtown Savannah was only about 18 min so that is not bad at all. The price we paid was well worth it.
We went there for a family reunion. The facility was clean and well maintained, but not so when it came to our room. The handles on the sink faucet came off in our hands, the shower fixture was not properly mounted to the stud in the wall and flopped around when we turned the water on and off, a light bulb was burned out next to the dresser and the bathroom door was out of plum and kept closing when we walked out. Otherwise, the room was nice. Breakfast was equal to other hotels.
Great place to stop and rest our room was very clean and the beds were amazing! beakfast was ok front desk was nice when checking in but checking out we had to wait for a breakfast attendant to help us which took longer than it shouldve.
My family and I have stayed at this location several times. The room is wonderful with very comfortable beds. We love the staff, everyone treated us like family. Best Rates in the area!!! Fabulous breakfast aswell.
We experience 5***** Star service from the minute we stepped into the lobby until we left. Our host made sure our room met our expectation. She also gave great recommendations for our dining experience. Sweet Tea's is the place to eat!!
Plus: Staff was great. Breakfast was okay. Great location. Bed was comfy. Quiet. Negative: Roaches. House keeping doesn't bring towels. Pool was small. Thin blankets. Bathroom was uncomfortably small.
Very clean rooms, great breakfast, would definitely stay there again ! Ladies at front desk, were very nice and informative. If you need a place to stay overnight when traveling to Florida, this would be a great place !!
The hôtel the staff are helpful and friendly. The Room are spacious and clean. The pool is outside and clean. The beakfast was really good and lot of Choice. I was surprise!!! They did the extra miles too accomodate me....Bravo!!!!
Easy access from I95. The room is super clean and as inviting as the main lobby was. After a long day of driving, finding this place was the best thing that happened today. Don't hesitate to book a room with this BWP.
I like the bucolic leafy setting of this hotel. Very nice lobby and a nice pool. However my room smells like there was a flood in it and there was almost no hot water.. They do have really cheap rates though.
I have stayed at Best Westerns in US and Europe and have had good experiences up until this stay at the Best Western Plus North Savannah Port Wentworth, Georgia. Total lack of customer service and zero response to our unpleasant experience after check-in. Totally surprised as apparently the management does not care about the customer at this hotel. I recommend you be very wary about staying at this hotel. It's given the Best Western brand a bad name. My wife and I checked in the evening of April 12 after an all-day drive and discovered that the room shower was inoperable due to missing the shower valve handle, and the tub was dirty with some residue. We showed it to the night manager Renee and asked if we could have another room. She responded there were no other rooms and wasn't authorized to offer a refund so we could find another hotel and take a shower. Renee said the only one that could do that was the general manager who was gone until Monday; that she would inform him and he'd back back to us for a discount or refund. Renee acknowledged the room was undergoing repairs earlier that day and that apparently the workman did not put back the shower control lever and did not clean the tub of his residue. Renee told us to hold on and she would get someone to fix the shower (it was already around 11:30PM). So we waited in our travel clothes for over an hour for the workman and fell asleep on the chair and the made bed in our full travel clothes and noone ever came to fix the shower. In the morning we mentioned what happened to the morning manager and she apologized and said she would contact the general manager so he would call me regarding the issue and our unpleasant experience. It's been 4 weeks now and not a word from the general manager, and no response to my 2 emails. I am very surprised as I have stayed at Best Western hotels in the past in the U.S. and Europe and have always had a good experience and feel Best Western is customer centric with responsive customer service. NOT THIS PROPERTY. I'd expect a prompt call from the manager offering some remedy to alleviate our very bad experience. Not a word yet after 4 weeks and 2 emails. STAY AWAY!
We stayed here one night on our way back to Florida. It is only 8 miles from downtown so it is convenient and 4 miles from the airport. Check in was seem less, and we used points to reserve and pay. Oh no, when we checked out, they charged my $35.00 and could not adjust because there was no manager available until at least 11 AM. I asked to have here call me and I got a card and was told I needed to make the call. I did call at 11:14, left a message return my call and never heard back. Finally talked to someone at 4:00 pm. Was told there is a South Carolina room tax that I had to pay for. Was never told of that charge on check in, and why I was charged for $26.00 initially, I don't know. Was told staff would alert patrons in the future. Watch your bill. Room was adequate, smelled a bit of musty ness, missing the drain stopper in the bathroom sink, the tub drain did not stay in the drain properly. Towels were fluffy and nice, breakfast was good, complete and presented well.
The rooms were nice and great as usual but the staff was not. They did not really seem to care about how your stay was. I typically do not judge a hotel on its breakfast but when getting to the breakfast room, we were told they were out of many of the items. The disappointing part of this was the way we were treated when we asked. This is not typical of best westerns.
My husband and I stayed here overnight while traveling north. We are frequent travelers around the country and this Best Western exceeded our expectations! It's close to the interstate, shopping, and restaurants. The lobby was nice, beds comfortable, rooms and bathrooms very clean, and the hot breakfast was nicer than we often get in much more expensive hotels. We were greeted upon arrival at the front desk by a very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable woman name Christy Cox. When we checked out, the front desk was staffed by another helpful and outgoing employee, Tesheonah Fowler. All of the staff we encountered were helpful. I often make an initial judgment of the accommodations by the lobby appearance and staff I encounter at the desk. I believe this is a new hotel or recently renovated. I would stay here again.
Best Western North Savannah will welcome you and attend to your needs efficiently and expeditiously. The complimentary breakfast is a time saving, bountiful and delicious plus! The room and amentities are well appointed and the beds are comfortable.
This hotel is just fine for a quick overnight on the way to Florida. Bed, pillows bathroom were all clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was lacking. We didn't eat anything because the presentation and breakfast items weren't appealing but the hotel itself was very nice. I do wish they offered water in the lobby. Overall a very nice BW
Overall it was a good hotel. Room was large and mainly clean (I noticed a lot of hair on bathroom floor) but rest was fine. Staff were helpful and friendly. Easy location Bit noisy from the traffic outside but that could just have been our room location.
Multiple issues with room and staff. Toilet did not work. Required multiple flushes. Reported issue to the front desk. When I asked later I was told the toilet had been fixed, it wasn't. I requested a 7 AM wake up call, never got it. When I mentioned that to the person at the front desk at 7:30, her response was, "Well, I just got here!" I haven't been in a motel room without a clock radio in many years. Reported issue with the thermostat and was told that they were in the process of refurbishing the rooms. I will say the breakfast was good. Fresh and good variety. Overall, a poor first experience with Best Western Plus. Lots of other, better choices in the Savannah area.
I booked this hotel due to the proximity to I 95 and the excellent reviews. I don't know who put in the reviews but I certainly would not rate it as excellent. First of all, I had trouble even getting to the property because of traffic especially truck traffic.Little did we realize we were so close to train trafficas well.During the night, we were awoken at least 4 times by high speed trains no less than 150 feet from the parking lot of the hotel.Every PLUS Best western has cookies in late afternoon and evening. I asked the duty manager about them and she said something about timing ( duh).My wife found a candy wrapping on one of the chairs. The faucet in the bathtub was loose and needs repair. The breakfast was the worst I have ever experienced, to the point I only had coffee. There were some type of biscuits gravy and sausage which did not even look eatable.I guess you can sense by my review, would I recommend this hotel (Not in your life)
Very nice place to stay. Room was very clean, bed was harder than i was use to. Good location just off the highway. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good and plenty of food with a good variety.
Check in was fast and easy. Room was clean and large, attractive decor. Breakfast was good, check outowut speedy. Hotel appearance inside and out was very attractive. The young lady who checked us in was very helpful and informative.
Everything was good, nice people at the front desk. We arrived just afternoon and they were nice enough to let us check In early. The room was right by the elevator so was a bit concerned but turned out to be just fine. Very nice lady at the breakfast area. All was very nice.
The staff at this beautiful, modern hotel were amazing! They saved our trip for us after a bad experience at a nearby hotel. They went the extra mile to make sure my husband's insulin was kept cold for us so we could explore Savannah. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was great!
We stayed at this Best Western based on the rating seen here and my experience at other Best Westerns. If you can, avoid this place at all cost. The rooms are infested with roaches. Everything else was fair as expected.
It was my first time staying at a BW plus. When making another reservation I would not hesitate making a reservation at a BW Plus. Our accommodation was excellent. Checked all my boxes for cleanliness, bed comfort, convenient location, good breakfast, TV and internet.
Stay here while on the way from Fort Lauderdale to North Carolina. Hotel was very clean and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was satisfactory although I would have like a little more variety but for the money was adequate.
You have to experience in person the excellent service staff at this Best Western Plus hotel. Nevernever ruffled, always ready to help...always with a positive attitude. They made a good hotel experience, great and we are very lucky to have stayed there. These young ladies can teach all of us what the meaning of quality service is.
Left something in the room, and call to see if theyfound it. The said yes, asked if they could hold the object atthefrontdesk for me. They said yes, went to pick it up and was told that it was locked up in the managers office , and she was gone four the day. General manager was called at 8 pm at night and the following is what she said: I can meet you at the hotel at 10 pm. I have children to take care of. I did not leave the object in the room, you did. General manager Renee, never showed up that night at the hotel.
Checked in on January 23, 2019 and was given the usual WiFi password. While still at the front desk I attempted to log in using their free WiFi. I was told to go to msn.com and enter the passcode when prompted. My iPhone is on airplane mode since I don't have a data plan while in the USA and therefore could not connect. This is a classic Catch 22–you need to have a data plan to connect, otherwise you can't connect. Whoever designed this brilliant system needs to check with everyone else in the world who actually has free WiFi. Also, the toilets need to be flushed more than once to clear the bowl. Other Best Westerns don't have these issues. Management at this BW Plus needs to listen to their customers and correct things. Also no fresh fruit at breakfast. Time to move on.
We stopped here for our half way point to Key West! The hotel was spotless. Beds were comfy, pillows were great, great stay! We usually stay in Hilton owned properties but decided we'd try this one. Very impressed and this will not be our last stay with Beat Western!
I had not stayed in a Best Western in years. On one leg of this trip, we stayed in one and it clean and wonderful and the staff were friendly. We thought staying at another Best Western, this one a Plus, would be the same. It wasn't. The rooms were not clean. One of the bathroom floors had broken tile, not just cracked. Moving, broken tile. That same room smelled like mildew. I didn't use the hairdryer, but just looking at the dirty bag it was in, I wouldn't have even if I needed to. The breakfast was good. The staff friendly.
Nice play to stay with close proximity to I-95. Staff recommended a pretty good restaurant for dinner which turned out to be a bonus. I'd stay there again. Comfy beds and pillows as well. Checkout was a breeze.
Great Stay! The front staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great. No problems! Had everything I needed. This requires 200 characters so Jib Jab Jibbidy Joo Joo Berry Bob Bulding Burger! Hooray Christmas!
I went up to Port Wentworth Ga just two hours from my home. For a little rest, railroading and history. I looked into the Savannah Ga area first but even in the dead season the hotel prices were lower but parking prices IMO were nuts. So I decided to stay away from Savannah and picked Port Wentworth GA instead. This Best Western was only $74.00 a night and my total cost for four days and three nights with tax. Was $266.00 and parking was free. I arrived on a very cold day for the area Dec 10th 2018. I drove around the area before going to my hotel at 3pm check in time. The front desk personal was nice but the printer didn't work and she had to go get a piece of paper printed to check me in this took about 15 minutes which to me was stupid. She informed me the printer had just gone down, I wonder. I got my room on the first floor #127. They put me down at the end of the hall. I bet I could have asked for another room but I didn't. It was away from the elevators and check-in but for the life of me a lot of the guests preferred to run down the stairs? My room was nice I loved the high ceilings on the first floor. The controls for the a/c heater on the wall didn't seem to work very well but did work much better on the unit by the window. The clock radio wasn't plugged in and when I did plug it in I noticed why someone had unplugged it it made a noise not needing it I unplugged it myself. There was a four issues in the bathroom one starting with the door. I do not like to close the door when I'm by myself. And the door was damaged on the bottom. Why hotels don't do pocket doors to free up the space in the limited bathrooms makes me sad. The toilet would have to be flushed several times to get rid of ones waste. The shower curtain was short while I showered I found a lot of water would need up on the floor. And the tub spout was loose. I didn't report these problems to the management. The TV was a 32 inch with a lot of cable TV channels and several movie channels When I went out for breakfast the next morning Dec 11th 2018. The waffle machine didn't work well the counter didn't work at all. The breakfast hostess did inform me that the waffle iron would work every other time. But the handles were also loose. I did cook a waffle but the syrup was nasty and I threw it away. The Hostess did tell me about some breakfast potatoes that were coming out and I enjoyed them with some eggs and sausage. The other two days I didn't have breakfast. Look this hotel to me is average the grounds looked good but IMO management needs to fix the things I saw. To make this a better hotel.
The hotel was nice. The lady who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The first room we checked into had damped carpets, must've just shampooed it. Our second room was a bit better however there was a huge hole mold spot in the bathroom tub area. At this point we were tired from a 6 hour drive and had just left the Econolodge up the street due to their horrible rooms. All we wanted to do was sleep. About 6am the next morning, we were awaken by the fire alarm! We evacuated the building and took a nap in the car. About 5 - 10 minutes later, we were adored to go back in. There was no compensation for the inconvenience and I'm a Best Western member.
The hotel was nice, simple layout, clean. Friendly staff, eas y to talk with. The breakfast was very good, biscuits and gravy with a nice selection of juices and coffee with limited creamers to select from.
I was very impressed with this hotel. Everything was clean and nice. I had a non-smoking king room and it was very large with a separate sitting area with desk. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. I had requested a room away from the elevator and common areas and they put me at the very end of the hall and it was indeed very quiet. I will definitely stay there again and I do recommend this hotel.
Heading back home from Florida and decided to get some sleep. Found this hotel nestled away in a quiet area. The room was quite big for the price and the bed was the most comfortable I have been on in a long time. The hotel staff was real nice and helpful. if I could, i would have stayed another night.
Hotel was great. Pool was under renovation. Breakfast was good and staff was accommodating and friendly. We were able to get a King Suite at an affordable rate. Only down side is that the location was somewhat near a train track and there was some late night noise. Would stay there again.
The Room was nice...that's where the "Good part" ends. My wife has a "walking disability". I asked at time of reservation, to be in a room, centrally located, regardless of floor, but near the elevator. We were as far away as humanly possible. Upon going out to eat, we discovered that the Safe had been left Locked by the previous occupant. We called down, asked it to be Unlocked, and gave them permission to Enter while we were out. NEVER HAPPENED!!! Came down for Breakfast at 8 AM. About a half dozen people in the Dining area. No Coffee! Ran out! No Eggs. Ran out! No Maple Syrup. (instead of getting some for me, I was told that it was "under the counter in one of several cabinets" that I could look for. Coffee & Eggs came in about another 15 minutes. The Waffle Maker Timer runs for 2:30 minutes. Brown on the outside, but when you it back to your table & cut into it, it is somewhere between raw & looking like undone White Bread! All the while, throughout Breakfast, I was "serenaded" by the sound of an unending phone ringing at the Front Desk (since most of the time, no one was there to answer it). It looked like She was also helping out with Breakfast. In short, this Hotel was woefully understaffed. It almost looked like the Owner/Mngr was simply "Milking" the property, to maximize profits w/o regard to Customer Service. I asked to speak to the Manager On Duty...None! I asked if they could be called. "No"! I asked if the Property were to be "On Fire, could you call the Owner/Mngr"? "Yes" "Good" I said, "then call them now!" "No" was the response. I left my Business Card, requesting a call back. Two days later, still no response. TOTALLY RUN BY NEARLY ABSENTEE MANAGEMENT! (Or so it appears?) This place is to be avoided like the Plague. I am "reaching out" to BW Corporate. Remains to be seen if they will respond? UPDATE: I must have called, literally, a dozen times, by way of follow-up, to reach a Mngr. The Front Desk recognized my voice & knew my name. Never, ever, would Mngt take my Call, or call back. BW Corporate was all but USELESS! To repeat-THIS PLACE IS TO BE AVOIDED. "Abandon all hope, ye who pass this way". Truly, I have read some of my fellow travelers Favorable reviews & I must wonder: Are we talking about the same place? Now, I "get it"...if your room is "okay", and basically, you're "in & out" with no "needs", then your experience is reflective of your review, but having asked for anything, and being totally "shut out" leaves a very Bad Taste when Mngt is Totally non-responsive.
Everything at this hotel was awesome. I have stayed there before and will again. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Area is great and close to everything. Usually stay there on my way to Florida. Breakfast was everything I expected.
Ok place for a quick stopover. Undergoing renovations which should make even better. Comfortable room and decent breakfast. Staff was friendly and abundant. Did get assigned a room with a sleeping family in it, which was traumatic for both families at 12:30AM, but the issue was quickly resolved.
About 25 minutes by car towards Savannah district. When we arrived at the hotel, the television in the lobby was the first thing that caught our attention. Loud volume. Very loud. The receptionist was new. She was nice, but she had not been well trained in many aspects of her work. She did not have much knowledge about things – it wasn't her fault, they just had to take more time with her. She asked me to pay for my reservation. She had not realized that it was already paid with Expedia, she had to go into an office to ask what she should do... another woman came out with her phone in her hand playing a game... and told her that it was ok. They gave us a room (406) from where, as soon as we entered, we had to run away because of the foul smell of urine that it had. They gave us another, the 202, it was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. A very ordinary hotel. The room, very normal, truth be told. Not bad for one night. They have information in the bathroom about "green stays" and how to help preserve the environment by taking advantage of towels or refusing to receive room service to save the environment. Contradictorily to this, absolutely everything at breakfast was disposable: plates, cutlery, napkins… how many tons of garbage do these produce as well? It seems to me then that the notice about taking advantage of the towels didn't really have an environmental purpose but had more to do with saving a few dollars in external laundry services. Seriously, they should think about all the garbage they produce... their grandchildren will pay the consequences... they should take note of what other major European hotel companies are doing worldwide in relation to the production of garbage... The minibar door was greasy at the top. The ironing board was stained, and the level of carpet cleanness was not adequate for an empty/clean room. The breakfast very average, very American - greasy sausages, bread, some fruit, yogurt… it wasn't bad for one night, but they were missing things like some simple turkey ham, cheese, and lighter products. Not all of us want to ingest thousands of greasy calories first thing in the morning. During the breakfast time, there were 4 staff members in a corner talking all the time... without stopping... it was a little annoying. Between the volume of the TV and this, the truth is that you cannot have breakfast in calm and peace.
Our stay was great! Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Their breakfast was awesome. There were so many things the choose from and it was all hot and fresh. We will definately come stay again next time we visit Savannah!
This Best Western is an excellent place to stay...right off I-95 with nice clean rooms with a friendly staff and close to Savannah without being too close. Good breakfast seating and quite a nice selection of breakfast items. Would definitely stay here again.
I enjoyed my stay again. I have stayed here a few times and will continue to return when I am in the area. The rooms are awesome. Nice and clean. The staff is very friendly also. Only wish they had smoking rooms.
Talked with Renee and Deanna at the motel in Savannah about my stay in June. They have informed me it is Best Westerns policy to take money unannounced, and quote prices intended to deceive and steal from your customers.. Those were my words, their words were policies of their motel. I was quoted a complete price by the clerk, I Paid a Complete price upon arrival and got scammed in the middle of the night (3am) by this motel. I have stayed at motels all across the country and have never been stolen from with the explanation of its company policy! WOW, unbelievable. Best Western use to have a good reputation but this place is destroying it.
Horrible hotel in North Savannah. AC not working and bug/ants all over bathroom floor. Maintenance came after midnight to fix, all he did was unplug ac and plugged back in, worked for a minute then turned off again. sprayed pesticide all over bathroom floor and just left it so we couldn't walk on the floor. Told I would get a refund at the front desk but they lied. Never staying at Best Western again and will tell all of my friends and family the same.
It was clean and nice, the only drawback was the extra 30.00 for having a small pet, other than that it was an excellent place to stay. The queen size beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well in fact we had to turn it off because it was so cold. Once it warmed back up we turned it back on and it was fine, I think it just got turned down a bit too much. It was a great stay!
I always stay here when in that area. It is always convenient for local family get-togethers. I know I'll be staying again when in the Area service is good breakfast in the amenities are good it always fits my needs.
I used Hoteltonight.com. Found an inexpensive room at a very decent price. Its always nerve wracking to just book a hotel and not know much about it prior. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanlienss and the hotel overall. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Room was clean and ample room and amenities. They were short on towels but immediately replenished with asked to do so. Grounds were nicely appointed. Ample parking for moving trucks. Helpful employees
My wife and I stopped on are way from Tampa to Myrtle Beach. Hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel lobby was very clean. We had a standard king room and it was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again when we go back to Myrtle Beach.
It was a great hotel for a stop on our way to Florida. It was less expensive then other hotels in the area and a great value. Michelle and Mercedes were professional, caring, and very helpful! Would stay again
I requested a one hour early check in like I have in hundreds of Best Western Hotels across America and they said it would cost me an additional $25.00.They had a party going on at the hotel with loud music being played well past midnight and from what the staff told me when I complained about everything it all comes down from the owner of the hotel.
Stayed 3 days and bug on bathroom floor was there the whole time difficulty with room keys not working especially on arrival numerous peoples keys didn't work upholstery dirty/soiled hair in bathtub on arrival &mine wasn't the only one ran out of food constantly I was on a bus tour and there was 40 of us
We had a really nice stay at this hotel in savannah, ga. The hotel and the rooms were really clean and spacious. Really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Also it is not too far away from downtown savannah.
Stayed here for the night because hubby had cataract surgery and needed to return to the doc the next morning. It's a convenient location right off 95 and outside Savannah. Nothing exciting about the locale but we only needed a place for him to rest and sleep. Place was well kept and beds were comfy. Continental breakfast was available in the morning. The strength of this spot was the front desk personnel who were extremely friendly and warm. Price wasn't bad.
I have always stayed at the best western and this is one of the best I have stayed at. I really enjoyed my stay and the breakfast in the morning was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back on my next visit.
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our visit to savannah and "loved it". All of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was really good and the attendant was courteous. It is few minutes away from downtown but the drive is very short.
This was my first time staying at this Best Western, Carrie at the front desk greated me with a smile and welcomed me to the hotel. She was very helpful and courteous and made my stay a comfortable one.I travel a lot and it would be nice if all of the front desk people were as courteous as Carrie. I would stay here again if ever in the area.
We enjoyed our three night stay. The price was much better than the historic district of Savannah. Very friendly staff that took care of a minor problem with our room. This is the third Best Western we have tried in this area, and it is the best one we have tried.
This was our main hotel on a bus trip to Savannah/Charleston. I would not recommend this place. The hotel staff appeared to be disinterested at best. There were about 40 people in our tour group. Just about everyone of us had issues with the housekeeping aspect of the hotel! Our room was missing hangers and there was mold on the shower curtain liner. The hangers I could see, the mold, there's simply no excuse for that!! Many in our party complained of not having their rooms cleaned. When all of these issues were brought to the attention of our tour group guide, she requested to see the manager. She was informed that the manager did not come in till about 10am. In general, this place is in need of a major overall from the top down!! There was even a morning that although breakfast is served at 6:30, there was no coffee for at least 20/30 minutes later. If you're heading to Savannah, or anywhere else in the vicinity, I would bypass this hotel!
We stayed en route to Savannah. Checked in late and front desk staff was very nice. Apparently we got the very last room in the place. At first glance it looked fine but it was not. As soon as we turned the sink water on the handle fell off. We screwed it back on but it just kept falling off. Under the mirror was disgusting, looked like it wasn't cleaned in months. Ironing board was broken (shown in picture). Tub floor was dirty black and disgusting. Spilt food on bed not cleaned up. ( All shown in pictures ). Housekeeping is obviously lacking. Breakfast buffet was ok, But busy and tables were all dirty. Would not stay again.
I really enjoyed being at the Best Western. I was close to my uncle and aunt's house. It was near the Tanger Outlet in Pooler. It was a peaceful location. Lots of restaurants in Garden City and Pooler. Nice place to take a break.
Stayed night of 4/3/18. Check in by two people took 20-25 minutes and I could not get any response as to why. It was as if I wasn't there asking a question. Finally climbed into bed and noticed toilet was running. Tried to turn on TV in every which way but finally discovered there was no power cord. When technician came up he searched all over the room for one and then went to get one. Nice guy; brought us some water; we did not know it was available downstairs. When I reported the toilet and TV issues the next morning, the clerk did not seem to care and did not even offer an apology. When I reached my destination, I discovered that my credit card was charged for the stay even though I prepaid with American Airlines Advantage Miles. I called and was told it was a mistake and that I would get an email that showed the charge was reversed... I am still waiting....
We stayed two nights. The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located near Savannah. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Not sure if it was new or newly remodeled. The rooms were nice. Average hotel room. We had a room with two queen beds, refrigerator, small microwave, iron, hair dryer, desk and a side chair. The room was comfortable for three adults. There is no view, as well as some road noise from traffic. Not enough to bother us. I did find the linens on the bed to be very thin and not warm. We asked for two extra blankets, which were promptly delivered, but were more like sturdy sheets. The location was great for shopping at the outlets in Pooler or exploring Savannah. . .about 10 minutes away from each. Nothing to speak of for restaurants nearby, go into Savannah. . .worth the effort. Would stay again.
Spent one night on our way north. Easy to find beside I95. 20 minute drive in to Savanah for dinner. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Good free wifi. Good free breakfast. Free parking. Friendly reception.
The staff was very professional and made us feel at home from check in to check out. Kawaka was very helpful and got us set up with the rewards program. The ladies were friendly and fun to talk with..
Nice hotel , very friendly staff and efficient . Rooms ok but not the ssme as other BW Plus rating . However hotel is fairly clean and has been given a face lift on inside, it's vlose to several truck stops as its tight of I 95
I was driving my children from Florida to South Carolina on January 3 when a freak snow storm hit the Savannah area. (It has not snowed there in almost 30 years, so this is not an area equipped to clear roads, etc.) Interstate 95 was closed by authorities, and some secondary roads were also closed, so we quickly needed to find a hotel for the night. I was immensely grateful to find this hotel had a few rooms left, as there was a mass exodus from the interstate. The two ladies at the check-in desk, Deona and Sequoia, did an excellent job getting everyone checked in under pressure of long lines and frayed nerves of some customers. I was particularly impressed with how they handled an emergency situation when a guest called down to say he thought his wife was having a stroke, and then when it was discovered that another guest had smuggled his dog into the hotel without telling any hotel staff. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and a very welcome "port" in a storm. We appreciate this staff!
I was on my way to Florida for a month and ran into a snowstorm in southern South Carolina. The highway was a disaster. I called ahead to the Best Western in Port Wentworth Georgia, knowing that I had to get off the highway They took my reservation. This was in the middle of the afternoon. By 5 o'clock I still wasn't moving on the highway, I called them to confirm that I still wanted that reservation, that I would be there. They said you are confirmed. By 8 o'clock I still wasn't moving on the highway and I called once again to confirm that I would be there. They said you've got your room we will see you when you get here. I finally got there at 9:30 PM, the two young ladies that were at the desk were so welcoming to me they called me by name and said Oh so glad you made it. We would not have given up your room. Many people came in after me, there were no rooms left. If I had not called ahead I would not have had a room, but they kept my reservation for me. I am so thankful for these young ladies. It was a very stressful time and they made it so much better. They even helped me get my luggage up to my room. These ladies went above and beyond. And I would give them a gold star. I would always stay here if I was traveling and needed a place near Savannah. The hotel is old, clean, breakfast is adequate, but the staff is exemplary
While being on the road for 10 hours we booked this stay on the fly arriving very late. The staff were so friendly and took the time to answer all our questions (breakfast, serving times, internet, check out times, etc.). Normally we would know these things about planned hotel stays, but since this was done on the fly, we had a ton of questions. Also, we normally had another hotel we would stay at this I-95 exit, but that other hotel increased their rates that night (New Year's Eve) where this Best Western was still normally priced. The hotel is modernly renovated. We were very pleased and will stay there again!
I am not sure why this is a Best Western Plus. First of all they need some training in hospitality.Next this was supposed to be a handicapped accessible room. The bed was so high I had to struggle to get into it. The toilet was so loose it wobbled. The slide bar for the showerhead was missing and the showerhead leaked badly. I asked the front desk for a showers and they were out. They were out of girls at breakfast. The breakfast person was busy watching tv. Will not stay here again.
The hotel is very easily accessible from I-95. The hotel is very clean and has good rooms and amenities. There are restaurants nearby and pilot travel center right across for snacks etc. The breakfast was good and the person managing it was very nice and helpful.
How does this hotel rate as a Best Western Plus? Probably the worst Best Western I have stayed at and I have been to about 25 different one in the past year. Has to eat my waffle with a spoon because they were out of forks at breakfast.
Hotel room smelled and had a broken air conditioning unit. The window couldn't be opened either to cool down. We arrived late and the staff didn't help. I recommend going a couple exits in either direction and staying at a holiday inn express. They are typically a much nicer experience.
Clean hotel conveniently located near Savannah International Airport. Friendly staff. There is a small gym with limited equipment and an outdoor pool. Safe parking also. Breakfast is provided with limited items but is enough to get the day started without having to go out. The hotel is not too far from outlet shopping and within 20 mins to downtown Savannah. It is a relatively inexpensive option.
We received no room service during our two night stay. It took us notifying the staff on two separate occasions just to get towels. The rooms are dated and were not the cleanest. There was splatter on the bathroom door and the comforter was stained. Overall the value was good but only if the hotel would have lived up to it's promise.
Quiet place to stay in Savannah area while travelling north from Florida Dining options are limited but good. fast food abundant Only one restaurant at this exchange. 3 miles north of large outlet mall.
I did take the time to get the name of the lady Who prepared the continental breakfast Maria .She was very good at her job. She was even apologetic for only serving pork bacon and sausages saying that she would speak to management about a different variety of meats .
We were extremely impressed with the staff in particularly with Maria whose help and extremely pleasant personality made our day at breakfast. The hotel was also easy to get to from I-95. Room was clean and lived the bed!!
My wife needs a hip replacement and cannot walk too far. I asked for a room near the elevator and was given one with no problem. The free breakfast was good and the breakfast area was large and clean.
We stayed three nights at this excellent Best Western Plus. Hotel was clean, great staff, breakfast, and at a good location. It is right on the interstate with many restaurant and stores in the area. Great place to base yourself to visit Savannah. We will stay again and recommend this hotel.
MILITARY PAY MORE THEN AAA MEMBERS THAT PAY A $60.00 DOLLAR MEMBERSHIP FEE??? Military put their life on the line every day, but have to pay a higher price then a membership fee?? Than is not right, This is Best Westerns policy a cross the Nation and i will find an other hotel who respects what the military personal do for the FREDOM THIS COUNTRY HAS DUE TO ALL OF US. Thank you
Stopped at this hotel on the way to Florida. Called ahead to make sure they had a handicap accessible room. They front desk staff was very friendly and assured me that they had a room. Upon arrival the clerk greeted me with a smile, even at 1:00am, and had a room ready. On the way back from Florida my wife and I decided to stay there again...this time we booked through Trip Advisor...had a bit of a problem booking...Trip Advisor booked the room for 2 weeks out. After resolving the booking issue we checked into the hotel and again the desk clerk was wonderful. The rooms were both clean and comfortable. We will most likely stay there again since we travel to Florida to visit family a lot.
The room was very nice, beds comfortable. My only big issue was the bathroom floor - there were hairs (not ours) mopped into the floor. They have peach juice as an offering for breakfast - a nice touch for a Georgia hotel and quite delicious.
We stopped here on a return trip to WDW where my son was married. It was friendly, clean, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the free breakfast. We will definitely Stop here again on future trips.
Very nice hotel! Easy access to Savannah without pay the higher prices! The bed was extremely comfortable! Maria that helps with breakfast goes out if her way to be helpful!! Donna at the front desk was very informative!
We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus North Savannah. A pleasant young lady named Sequoia checked us in. She was not aware of any extra points we were supposed to get on our account as gold level members. She advised us to ask someone in the morning. When we went to check out the next morning, we mentioned that we wanted to use rewards certificates toward payment of our bill to Kawaka , she informed us she already charged our credit card. We were also scolded twice that we should have given the rewards certificates to the clerk who checked us in. She was very rude and disrespectful. I was not about to give the certificates to someone who didn't even know we were supposed to get extra points for being gold level members. Kawaka did end up taking the rewards certificates for payment toward our bill, but not until she gave us an attitude and made us feel she was doing us a favor. She then refused to give us a receipt to show our credit card was credited for the amount charged after asking her twice. As far as the hotel room goes, it was clean and in good condition. But due to the poor customer service, I would not recommend this property.
There was a problem with the shower curtain being too short and the head housekeeper came to our room to see the shower curtain problem. Kawaka checked us out and she signed me up for the rewards program. She is a very pleasant person.
Outstanding venue. Quiet, clean, great staff. Recently refurbished and very pleasant minimalist decor. Only negative no decent restaurants within 5 miles unless you prefer fast foods. With area and number of hotels motels, very surprised.
Substandard staff makes this a place I wouldn't recommend even given the nice amenities. Check in was tedious. This is the first hotel we've stayed at in many years that didn't allow a one hour early check in. Were told to come back "after" 3pm. When we did check in they were disorganized.
polite and courteous wait staff. Awesome room service. Very good breakfast, especially the morning they had little omelets.Would definitely stay here again if in Savannah area. They had accommodations that we we did not have time to use
Shower wall and curtain was not clean, had shampoo running down the wall, something black splashed on the curtain. The comforter on the bed had something brownish red on it and there wasn't even a comforter at all on the other bed. When I told the lady at check out, she asked me to stand there and wait for housekeeping to come up there so I could tell them about it. Why she couldn't handle it and deal with housekeeping later, I have no idea. I was given an apology by the housekeeping lady, she never once looked at me. Also, the breakfast was gross. I've stayed 12 nights of this year in 3 different Best Westerns and they were great! You'll be disappointed of you stay here.
I had an wonderful stay here. Everything was excellent the beds where comfortable. The breakfast was good. You have 2 wonderful workers name Mrs d & Vicky smalls made sure everything was great & okay. Thanks
Nice quiet room just off of I-95. I am a local and got the room for out of town company. They had no issues and slept very well. They said the room was clean and comfy bed. I would use this hotel for out of town guests again.
Our company is in town for the next 5 months , staying at your Hotel and from the moment I walked in Holly who works at the front desk ,was very helpful and so polite checking me in ,and explaining the extras in the hotel .i would like to thank Holly and the rest of the staff and management for being so accommodating . Sincerely , Chris Maillis Seminole Equipment Inc.
Holly at the front desk is amazing! Best customer service I had in a very long time. Rooms are clean wonderful, Most comfortable beds bathrooms are spacious and clean. In the morning they have a very selectful spread for breakfast.
we recently had to evacuate our home because of Hurricane Irma.. In a tough situation with the hotel shortstaffed they did an outstanding job serving everyone. staff was extremely polite and hospitable. Amazing experience
Our room was every thing we expect of a BW Plus. The service was also very good. Breakfast included all the normal items and Maria did a very good job of taking care of the guest and keeping the buffet supplied. I will definitely stay at the hotel again.
We recently passed through Savannah and after bookings.com booked our family of five in a room with a max of four we had to look for another hotel. We checked out three other hotels in the area and they were all dirty and the front desk staff were cranky to say the least. When we stopped at the Best Western Plus North Savannah it was different. Sequoia, the gal at the front desk was exceptional. I witnessed her working with several other customers and she was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. My personal experience was the same. Sequoia went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a clean comfortable place to stay.
Room was not clean when we got there had to wait to clean it and then they ended up giving us another room then the keys wouldnt work for that room also sheets were dirty and remote for tv not working
Holly and Sabrina are very nice desk clerks and very helpful and courtious as well as management and staff it's a very quite and clean motel to stay at and i would recommend anyone to this motel we will be staying here more
This hotel is one of the best ever we stay here every year and we enjoy it to the fullest. The breakfast is great, the service is professional and maintenance is amazing. The rooms and the waiting area is always clean amd smells good! Pastor Davis
Excellent room location on the first floor -we were told they allow pets on this floor but we found it perfectly clean! We totally enjoyed our stay at this BEST WESTERN - found everything about it was good - including the easy location to I-95 AND the eleven miles to OLD TOWN! ANOTHER IMPORTANT POINT IS THE FRIENDLINESS & HONESTY AND HELPFULLNESS of the STAFF! We forgot an expensive back support brace in our room when leaving and the honest cleaning person DID turn it in and the office personnel shipped it back to us!
Poor service. Poor food selection for breakfast. Room smelled. Water pressure was minimal at best. Vending machines were empty and the pool was "closed for maintenance" for three days yet no one worked on it the entire time. Internet was so slow it compared to the dial-up modem days. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Holly at the hotel was exceptionally helpful. I had my graduation party there in the banquet room on Saturday, Aug 5th and we had a wonderful time. The staff went out of their way to provide assistance.
Although it was close to the highway and surprisingly quiet, the hotel itself was not the best. The room size was sufficient. BUT although it looked clean there was an odd mold like smell in my room that never went away and the shower had the faint odor of urine, there were also some sort of mites in the room (I still have welts). Also the phone had to be unplugged or it would not stop humming. The breakfast was not tasty at all. I had to go elsewhere to eat. The ONLY saving grace for this hotel was the front desk staff HOLLY and TYRONE were very accommodating and professional.
The room was very nice. The property was safe and clean. The front desk service was polite and sincere. What I liked best was that there were a number of places where we could go eat, get gas, drive to sight-see, and shop.
Holly and Sabrina were awesome, they helped me with everything I needed and more.. it is very clean they are fantastic staff.. expect me to spend my money here again! They answered all my questions with ease.. very responsive
We had a great stay. We had one night to spend in the Savannah area on the way to Florida. The hotel was easy to find right off of 95 in a safe area. The price was great. It was an easy drive to downtown Savannah and Tybee Island. Nice clean rooms and good free breakfast. The ONLY suggestion I have is to get better blow dryers. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the Savannah area.
It was nice.Everything we needed. Room was clean and comfortable. We will come back in the future. Excellent location to restaurants. Easy on/Easy off at the Interstate. We'll be back when we visit Savannah and we'll stay 2 days. I would recommend this hotel.
While passing through on I-95, we found this hotel, and while they wouldn't honor our travel coupon for the holiday weekend (July 4th), the clerk went above and beyond to get us a great rate. Room was spotless and very comfortable for the night. Would stay again if our travels brings us in this area again. They do offer a hot breakfast, but because of dietary restrictions we didn't have anything, but it was the normal waffle, cereal, breakfast meat, etc.
We arrived about 10:30 pm after traveling all day and when we got to the room it smelled like smoke which my wife is sensitive to and the room was very warm. It was late and we were tired and did not want to change rooms. The room did not cool down until about 2am. Got about 3 hours sleep and then had to travel again. When I mentioned it to the two gals at the front desk they seemed very disinterested. Said they should have charged last person $200. because of smoking in room. I travel about 2 times a month but will not be stopping here again.
Best Customer Service I've Received In A Very Long Time Tyrone & The Young Lady Sacoyia Despite A Mix Up Made Sure I Left With A Smile. I Will Stay At Best Western Plus Now Without A Second Thought...
My wife and I recently spent two night here. This was a great stay! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed gave us good nights sleep.Hotel is convenient to I-95 and gas here was less expensive than anywhere else in the Savannah area.Staff was wonderful.Breakfast was delicious and the attendant was always available to take care of things. Can't wait to stay here again!
First time staying at this location. Very nice place. Will return when I am in the area for sure. Lots of places to eat at. Only wish they had smoking rooms. Thought would be noisy being close to Interstate but not at all.
Would never stay her again. Our room was not cleaned upon arrival, days later the house keeping staff didnt clean it again. They never offered to move us into another room. A day later we didnt have any toilet paper. Now Im fighting with hotel to receive a credit on my bill. Front desk staff now is getting defensive and rude. Dont stay here EVER!!!
This hotel has the best beds, the best breakfast in the morning, the cleanest hotel and the friendliest of staff. It also is the best location for spending the day in Savannah and returning to the luxurious hotel to rest up for your next days adventures.
I had high hopes for this property, but those hopes were quickly dashed. We checked in on June 30 for one night. We were assigned #328 on the end of the hallway. Upon entry to the room, I noticed the door swung open as if it wasn't closed properly to begin with. We were in only a few minutes to drop our bags. When leaving the room, it took me several attempts to get the door to catch shut. Hours later, when we returned, I could not get the door to catch securely. We contacted the front desk. A maintenance worker was sent up around 10:30pm. He tried and tried, as did I, to secure the door. In a span of 15 minutes and a lot of door slamming, he was able to get the door to catch but only twice. The problem was, he was on the inside of the room each time. Even when the door did catch, the deadbolt was rendered useless. It did not work while the door was closed. I asked him to try fixing the door from the hallway. Again, it took multiple attempts to get the door to catch. The noise (repeated slamming of the door) upset guests in nearby rooms. Once we were able to get the door to catch, I utilized the security latch higher up on the door; opened up a closet door and rolled a desk chair in front of the door to serve as blockades. The hotel was sold out so they were unable to offer us alternate quarters. On the morning of July 1, we lodged a formal complaint with the front desk. The person on duty had no power to make adjustments or offer other concessions. She promised we would hear from the manager later that day. Of course, that never came to fruition. I am still waiting on a call back. Frankly, I would be surprised if the manager and hotel staff were not already aware of this issue. And, now since we're gone, they have no interest in trying to make things right. Lack of a properly working lock on guest quarters is a security concern that needs to be corrected ASAP. Additionally, there were other concerns about the upkeep of the property that added to my disappointment. I will be contacting Best Western Corporate directly with these concerns. I am sure Best Western made a significant investment when they rebranded in hopes of boosting their image but it's for naught if they aren't going to raise the bar on the upkeep of their properties. Hopefully this is an isolated incident they can rectify. Let's see how they respond when I make contact with Corporate, shall we?
The first room, we were given the bathroom was not clean; so we were moved to the room next door. This room seemed to be fine. We had 3 adults so we requested more coffee, towels, & toilet paper. We were given it the second night but were not given extra the next two nights. We had to go to the service desk t o ask for this the last nights. We stayed for 4 nights. Maria, the lady that handled the breakfast was great! She greeted us every morning & kept the area clean. The breakfast provided was also delicious. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel- I would just recommend they work on the cleaning crew. And I would recommend that they work on the air conditioning in the hallways=== The room temp was great but the hallways were ridiculously hot!
My family and I were on our way to Disney World for my family's first visit ever. We decided to stop right outside of Savannah, as we had been driving for almost 12 hours. About 2 hours from Savannah, I look to see what is available in the Savannah area and saw the Best Western Plus and booked a King Suite for me, my wife, my teenage son, and a 2 year old toddler. Normally, I stay at Hyatt brands, but none were available in Savannah, the only closest being in Jacksonville, FL. I do this because of the suite style with the couch and lounge area. Hence the reason I booked the King suite at BW with a sofa bed for my teenager. When we get to Savannah and get to the desk, the front desk agent was helping another guest and also fielding a couple calls from guests complaining about an issue that I heard her say was the 2nd one that day (First Flag). When we checked in, she made mention that she didn't think our room was available, as the manager had been housing his sister for the last several weeks! and did not know if they had left yet. She also told us that they had put the room on out of order in their system to keep it from being reserved. She called her manager, and confirmed that manager's sister left the day before. After getting our keys, we got up to the room, and...disaster. Extremely dirty linens on the floor, SEVERAL full trash bags on the floor, a huge stain on the couch, beds stripped, and a stack of room keys on the table (there had to be about 15-20 total. I tired calling the front desk from the room, but the phone didn't work. I didn't even have time to take pictures, because as dirty as the linens were, and with all the trash, I wanted to get my 2 year old out of the room. We went downstairs and let the front desk agent know, and she was quite visibly upset, as this was obviously not the only headache that night. We unfortunately were told that there were no more king suites available. Unbelievable...I mean, not really, as it was a summer weekend, but we took the 2 queen room instead, and were disappointed again with this room, as it was about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the king suite with no couch. Also, we still paid full price for queen room after being downgraded due to negligence. I have no issue with hiccups due to things beyond control. However, this was a case of severe negligence by the manager. To let somebody live in there and essentially lose the hotel money, and ultimately a guest (me), for life. I've been in the hospitality industry for almost 13 years, most of it management, and this is absolutely ridiculous. Had I known this was going to happen, it would have been worth the extra 2 hours to Jacksonville for the Hyatt. The ONLY redeeming quality of this, hence the 2 stars, was that the breakfast was actually nice. Belgian waffles, cereal, hot food, juice, etc. but that's it...
Best Western Plus North Savannah was a great experience staff is amazing they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable and the atmosphere pleasurable.
My family and i decided to stop driving and stay the night at a hotel for the night. Best Western Plus was amazing...we didn't wanna leave. The hotel was very clean and staff was very courteous. We will definitely stop and stay on the way back. Oh, and reasonably priced.
We chose this hotel because it was close to Savannah/Tybee and had excellent rates. This was our second time visiting the area, but our first at this hotel. We highly recommend it. It was clean, affordable, in a safe area, and the staff went above and beyond. Every single staff member we saw during our stay there was kind, friendly, and attentive. We looked at other hotels closer to the city, and also airbnb, but nothing came close to the affordability. The drive back and forth to the tourist attractions was quick and easy. Our seven-year-old daughter loved the outdoor pool. They allowed us to check in early (with a small fee) and when we were forced to leave early due to illness, they even offered us a partial refund on our last night (we didn't leave until after check out time that day, so it was unexpected and very kind). Sequoia took the time to personally follow up with us the next day to see how our daughter was feeling and to let us know our credit card had been refunded. Incredible service! I highly recommend this location for families visiting Savannah that want a clean, safe, affordable hotel option.
This facility should be named “Best Western Plus Cockroaches”. This hotel was purchased about a year ago by BW and re-modeled. We chose it because it was touted as being 100% smoke free, and with my husband's asthma that's important. The lobby area is spacious and looked new. The change began when we stepped off the 4th floor elevator and the hallway was very warm and stuffy. However our room was cool, spacious...and we were tired. I noticed some flaws: blistered paint, carpet pulling away from the threshold, but we were only staying one night. Breakfast was good, and managed by a lovely lady who was very warm and friendly. When we went back to our room afterwards, that's when I saw the cockroach in the bathroom. I told the checkout clerk, Sequoia who replied, “Well this is the South”. As a native Southerner I took great offense. I told her that we've stayed in hotels from Va. to Fla. to Tx. Never have we had cockroaches before. (Not to mention none of the houses I've lived in.) She replied, “We have Orkin spray once a month”. She said this without an attitude, more like her standard reply. I rolled my eyes, paid my bill, and started drafting this review.
Only a short drive into Savannah w/ free parking at hop on tour bus lot. Saves both room and parking costs. Not great amenities [small outdoor pool and fitness room] but since we were there to tour Savannah, we didn't care. Breakfast was very good.
THE BED IS SO comfortable , high quality linens CLEAN, GOOD BREAKFAST included , close to SAVANNAH RIVER STREET AND savannah airport, right off I95 exit with restuarants nearby. outdoor pool looks beautiful however we did not have time to use it, but river street was exceptional, what a sunset!
We had never stayed in a Best Western Plus and didn't know what to expect but after speaking to Holly when we made the reservation we felt comfortable. When we arrived our attendant Holly was most delightful and helpful. Because we were traveling with family we got a king-sized suite. Our son was delighted to feel like he had his own room though it has no actual wall separation between sofa bed and king size bed. The room was clean and comfortable.
Room was great, bed comfortable, quiet environment, clean. Breakfast was mostly plundered before we got there at 8:30 on Sunday morning. No coffee! I can forgive the waffle batter being gone, the eggs eaten, the skimpy pastries, but no coffee??
The room is clean and staff are friendly. However, the noise from the room above your head is enormous. Breakfast room is not fully staffed. The same person behind the check-in/out counter is also the one who serves food in the breakfast room. The trash piled up, coffee is lukewarm, etc.
We stayed over Memorial day weekend and informed the lady at the front desk 2x about the air not working. It was not fixed and the toilet did not flush. The check in process took about 30 min. The location is about 15 minutes from downtown Savannah.
Maria the breakfast worker was an amazing help and she was doing whatever she could to make everyone's stay amazing. The people are so considerate and kind it was truly a great stay! thanks maria for making it great!!
Checked in after midnight on a stopover and found out the only crib the hotel had was already in use. I had noted needing one in my reservation but didn't call ahead. We made due with the sofa cushions and end tables to "trap" our 8 month old. The king suite was a big room, biggest room I've stayed in for this class of hotel. The staff was all very friendly- room was clean and decent breakfast to feed kids before we hit the road.
On our way to our home in Florida we like to stop at this exit for dinner and an overnight. We have used various hotels here, depending on the reviews and the price. This was a good choice last night. The room was spacious and very clean. Bed and pillows comfy for a great night's sleep. Plenty of hot water to shower. Free breakfast was adequate. The AC blower was loud enough to interfere with the tv--but not with sleep. We always eat at the nearby Sweet Tea Grill; be sure to check it out. The only downside to this hotel was making the reservation. The local number wasn't answered so I called the 800 option and had no problem making it that way, with a discount when I asked. I'm glad I persevered.
Was a fairly priced hotel. The room was overall ok, nothing special. Good breakfast and the staff was very nice. Would stay again in the future if in the area. Only about 15 mins away from historic Savannah downtown.
My husband and were in town for a friends wedding. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was great, especially Sequoia and Deonna who went above and beyond to make our stay great. Would definitely stay here again.
Visited from Charlotte for my son, the groom and his beautiful wife's wedding. The staff went above and beyond with their personal service. Chris Williams eased my mind by reminding me my son will always need his mother. Management staff was unbelievably friendly and accommodating, as was the housekeeping staff. Everyone was amazing! The rooms were very nice, clean & comfortable. This hotel comes highly recommended! Staff at other hotels should take a lesson from this fine group of employees!
Stayed called back asked it they found my license - they said yes and my credit card - they said they would mail it back to me - 4 weeks later I still don't have it. so are they using the information to steal my identity - I have alerted credit card company but how can you relax when you stay in a place with housekeeping master keys and they are willing to steal you stuff - yea sleep tight at this place. KNicholson stayed April 9 2017
I chose this hotel because of my conversation with Holly when I changed my reservation. I called the wrong hotel and ended up changing to this hotel because of her. She was at the hotel upon check-in and was so happy to see me. I was travelling with my dog and she made my stay great!!! Thank you, Holly!
This is a great hotel and the staff is excellent. Went to savannah for the 1st time and decided to stay at this hotel for the weekend. Very close to downtown savannah and great restaurants nearby. We also had nice buffet style breakfast in the morning which included bacon, ham and cheese omelet along with many other items.
We just stayed here over the weekend and the hotel is awesome. The hotels location is ideal. hotel is very nice and clean. very nice staff and helpful too.. room was clean and nice size. we have enjoyed our stay, and will book this hotel again. It is only minutes away from downtown savannah.
Maria taking care of the breakfast area was very attentive and had a smile on her face. She seemed to be glad to be there. Attitude does change everything. The safe was locked when we got there and I called down to see if they would open it but I guess they forgot and it was never fixed. We had two queens and only one was made up when we returned to the room. Small stuff that doesn't matter but it was noticeable.
external construction. Inside a very average experience and the interior needs refreshment.Breakfast was minimal. No tv guide in room or instructions. Location has little to offer in way of restaurants. Went to a very tatty Ruby Tuesday at previous exit
A terrible experience and would not recommend. Multiple lights not working in room, 1 night with no hot water, dirty cups sitting in bedside drawer, stains on bedding, room keys did not work any night we were there had to get replaced every night.
We are from North Ga. Just driven 300+ miles not knowing where to stay. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Sequoia who made us feel at home with a great personality...then upon leaving Angel who so helpful and wonderful personality made us feel important and priority. It was all around a great experience...THANK YOU STAFF..OF BEST WESTERN PLUS...
Front desk staff was excellent -- friendly, yet professional. Room was clean and comfortable. with nice firm mattresses and bedding. Front desk staff provided excellent local dining recommendations. Our home away from home in the Savannah area ...
Don't pass this place up just because of the truck stop across the street. Its a solid hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sequoia at the front desk was extremely helpful in finding us a local place to get seafood. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We were concerned that it might be noisy due to some construction across the street but found it to be quiet.
We were able to get a room here after a canceled flight at the Savannah airport. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout the weekend. The room was overall clean and updated. This was a very decent hotel for the money. Good amenities including a small fitness center and outdoor pool. Not many healthy breakfast options, but there was a good variety of food.
While visiting Savannah, GA with my family on a quick weekend trip, this is unfortunately the only hotel we could locate that had any openings. There were several events taking place at once, causing our original booking at a different hotel to be canceled. The staff had mixed up our room numbers, and we were billed for a room we had not even occupied. We also had guest try to enter our room in the middle of the night. The management was very poor and had obviously had several communication issues with the other staff members. All in all, it was a place to sleep. I cannot say it was a "clean" place to sleep. We eventually had to move rooms again because the one they put us in was already dirty/occupied. I would not recommend paying to stay at this establishment. Poor service.
This is a solid hotel right off i-95 just north of Savannah. It's about 6 hours from Sarasota and makes a great first stop for travelling back to Canada. Rooms are immaculate, staff is very friendly, breakfast is great. Don't think you will be disappointed.
Staff very professional, room clean, bed comfortable and breakfast was ok. My only complaints, room key didn't work second night. Had to get new keys. Some TV channels worked, but would go out in middle of program. I definitely would stay again.
We made plans to stay Friday to Sunday. Saturday about 9:00am a knock on the door housekeeping. We stated we will be out in 10minutes. We was gone all day didn't get back until11:30 pm.The room wasn't clean no clean towel or toiletries not even any tissue. The garbage were still in the room.
We checked in for a two day stay as we are moving into the area. We have stayed here a couple of times and every time there is a problem. This time when we got back after being out all day the bed was not made. The sheets were just pulled up. The roll of toilet paper had 10 sheets left on it and not changed. There was no bathmat and the towels were thrown on the rack. The manager seems not to care about the people who come here. We only stay here because it is close to our new home. The house keeping service is really bad and it comes from poor management. I will contact AAA and have them downgrade this property
The common areas, room, and bathroom were all pretty clean. There were plenty of linens and toiletries. Breakfast was decent - nothing spectacular. The only real issues I had were a creaky elevator (no that big of a deal) and I had to kill a roach in our room the 2nd night (I'm glad my wife had gone out for a walk at the time). I discreetly told the young lady at the front desk at check out about it and she said the exterminator was scheduled to come later in the week. I'd like to give special recognition to Najee who made us feel extra special by engaging us in a heartfelt conversation during check in. I asked him to recommend a good buffet and he sent us to a place the whole family enjoyed. Roach aside, I'd stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay, but didn't think it was worthy of "plus" . Wasn't as clean as I expected, but nothing terrible(elevators has smeary hand prints etc). The breakfast was average, no yogurt or fresh fruit. Bathrooms were small and awkward, but clean. Would return, the price was good.
I requested by phone on Oct 30 in the morning a reservation for a king bed + I was told by Koran (?) it was not necessary because hotel would be empty at night, I could choose what I wanted. I requested that he put notes in my file about the room I wanted. He promised me I would have it for $104. When I arrived after 3pm, I was told by a lady that no such room were available, they were still recovering from a big week end and cleaning. No choice I was put in room 102, small, beside a storage room and exit door where you couldn't come back with your key and luggage because lock was damp....Nice to hear when you are a senior after a 7-8 hours drive. To tired to get out of the hole. Exit door was kept open with a stick. Later we wanted a coffee from the drink area. It was cold so we and other clients asked for fresh coffee and hot water. An employee said she would make some. She was working alone now, had to do everything. So we are ready to be patient and considerate. Later we go back to the station to find that she just add boiling water to the old cold coffee. Taste was disgusting. No milk or half & half . She went to get the big gallon of milk.....In the room, the bed was not comfortable. Safe was broken, some towels missing, no TV guide, clean bathroom but very filthy behind the night table. Bed was clean. This hotel is a shame to the brand, should be downgraded to lower than a simple modest Best Western. We have never been treated like this during our multiple trips over the past year. The employees over there just didn't care. Some need training, others simply laid off.
I was with a group and many of us had a poor experience . Room keys that did not work on a daily basis , report of bug bites , lack of towel /linen replacements including toilet paper . Printer in the business area with no ink and they had no replacement . Poor food quality And a fire , a small one with lack of proper notice and evacuation . Avoid this place
Clean rooms, very nice beds & linens. Clean and neat breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, and various breads. Would like to see some fresh fruit on the breakfast buffet. Hotel provided coupon to Sweet Tea restaurant nearby which had decent food at very low prices.
Short drive to Savannah, near Tangier Outlets, and shopping, close but far enough to miss hussle and bussle of growing Savannah. You will be pleased with the Plus accommodations, vs the average BW. Professional staff, very helpful.
Nicely decorated rooms with coffee maker, med fridge, microwave, lg screen tv, roomy bathroom, hair dryer, ironing board. Wifi. There was still watery soap left in the dish from the previous guest, a continuous facuet drip, and sink didn't drain well. A/C was pre set and guest aren't allowed to adjust temp to their satisfaction. It just ran all night and didn't cool until the next morning.
Our annual reunion was scheduled here this year from Oct. 5th to Oct. 9th. We enjoyed our time here, such as it was. Our room was very clean and modern. No complaints regarding the staff or facility. Only problem was the governor's issue of mandatory evacuation due to Hurricane Matthew. The breakfast was good. No complaints. If we are ever in this area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel.
I enjoyed my entire stay. The staff was helpful with any of the guest requests. They were eager to introduce me to dining facilities, entertainment, malls, and other activities near by. Great job!! I would highly recommend Best Western Plus to all travelers.
Stayed here with my family a weekend in September. When my husband called to reserve the hotel a couple of days before our trip, he specifically asked if the outdoor pool is open and was told yes since that was one of the main factors for us when deciding where to stay . The minute we walked in the kids wanted to check out the pool ( because they were looking forward to all day of swimming in 90 degrees weather ) but we were told by the front desk person that the pump is broken and might or might not get fixed by tomorrow. We went to dinner and came back to find out there was I electricity in the hotel as there was an accident and the power company doesn't know when it will be fixed. We were told we can get to our room but the phones will not work either and worst of all : No AC ! Had to climb the stairs to using our cell phone's flashlight ( no kidding, there were no emergency lights or flashlight in the stairs or front desk !!!!) . When in room, we realized that there were no bedsheets for the pull out couch, couldn't call the front desk ( no phone bc of no electricity) and We were not going to try to go downstairs in the dark with the whole family to get bedsheets so all of us slept on the king bed and was so hot without the AC ! The electricity wasn't back till around 4:30 AM. The next AM I asked the housekeeping to make sure they leave us bed sheets for the pull out couch . Well when we came back to the room in the evening, there were no sheets again . I called the front desk and a nice front desk lady brought it to our room. She asked me how my stay has been and I shared my concerns with her . She agreed with me and said she will get back with me. A few minutes later I get a phone call from another front desk person ( she introduced herself as Cassandra ) . She said the pool pump is not the problem. All the outdoor pools " in the country " are only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day ! She goes on and on about how she has kids and travel with them and that's the rule in the whole country ! because even though it's 90 degrees in Savannah but after Labor Day kids get sick if they swim outdoors !!!! I told her that we were told the pool is open before booking and at the arrival, we were told that the pump is broken and that's why the pool is closed but might get fixed !She said that was not the case ... Then I told her I understand that loss of power was not the hotel's fault but we had to sleep without AC and there is no emergency lights I the stairs , plus we didn't have bed sheets for the pull out couch. She was very rude and kept telling me : imagine you lose power in your house , do you have emergency light or AC !!!! I told her don't own a hotel . And when I told her about the bedsheets for the previous night, she said : oh ! Did you look in the closet ? I said yes, and none was there . She said : we just brought you the bedsheets !!! I decided not to argue with her but she definitely needs retraining as it was mentioned in another review by another reviewer. I have to say the other staff : Maria ( the BF attendant, and Angel ( another front desk person ) were really nice and friendly. The breakfast is nothing to bragg about and the room was not really clean ( see photos). Update : I would give this place minus stars if I could . While we were leaving , I shared all the issues with the "nicer" front desk staff ( Angel ) who wrote my name and phone number and reassured me that Diana Williams ( front desk manager ) or Naji kotob ( general manager ) would be contacting me the following Day, well that was 3 weeks ago ! Stay away from this dump ! Beware!
Overnight stop over driving from NJ to South FL. Room was clean and comfortable. Checked out early so no comment on breakfast, although appreciate 24 coffee in lobby and coffee maker in room. Only complaint was with a room location. I belong to their rewards club, made the reservation on their web site, and requested a room on the first floor. When I arrived after 14 hours on the road, I was on the second floor the room furthest away from the elevator. No big deal, happy to have a room for the night, but still disappointed they could not honor a rewards member request. Still, next trip up I-95, will consider staying again.
Location good off of i95 Room ok; bathroom a bit "beat up"...had to request toilet paper, as there was none except the very small amount still on the roll. Staff nice. Could use Reno, but, again, ok for 1 night (cheap) & short stay.
Nice and comfortable. Convenient to Interstate 95. Very Friendly and helpful staff. Location was quiet and safe. Breakfast was great with plenty of different variety of food. The staff went out of their way to please. When I ask for the snack to go, staff made sure that we had our to go. Said I could get the water from the pantry and made sure the fruit was fresh. Dining area was decorated beautiful, light and roomy.
We spent 2 nights at this property, One room booked with points and the other we paid the going rate (very reasonable for Savannah). I was pleasantly surprised, when both rooms were identical. The "free" room was just as nice as the paid room. The rooms are large with enough space to hold both your luggage and have the room to move around easily. The rooms were CLEAN, and well maintained. My only complaint was the the television channels would suddenly quit working. The front desk tried to fix them, but it really was the service providers (a dish company) problem. The included breakfast was adequate and the150mps internet was a surprise bonus. Stay here, if just passing through or visiting Savannah
I work out of town most of the year and stay in a lot of motels. I can honestly say every Best Western Plus I've stay at was nice and clean. This motel is one of the nicer ones. It's convenient time I 95 and about 30 mins from River Street And 45mins from Tybee Island. Will continue to stay while working in the area.
The price is good. Room was decent and clean. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Restaurants and a pharmacy in the area. The breakfast was include. It's a self service with a basic variety of cereals, muffins etc. It's minimalist but do the job!
I stayed at a BW which was not a PLUS just a week before my stay here. It was not clean, things did not work properly and there were ants in the bathroom and in the bed. Never experienced a BW like that before. This BW PLUS quality was excellent. Clean, everything worked, very friendly people, very helpful.. Only like $10 more than the regular BW I was in a week ago. I say go for the PLUS. They seem to be keeping the BW standards we have all been accustomed to and trusted.
The room was clean and spacious. Since space allowed we would have liked a sofa for 2 instead of a chair for 1 - I really do not like sitting on the bed or even a desk chair after a day on the road. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Keith at the front desk was friendly and helpful and Chris did a very good job of keeping the breakfast area clean and well stocked. The parking lot is generous and well designed - important to us since we were hauling a trailer. Would stay again.
Average with some benefits being location; less than that for overall. Rooms were not cleaned as well as they should have been. Toilet paper holder needed cleaning. Floor cleaning did not occur on two of the three days of our four night stay. TV would not get all stations; 4 or 5 were black with only video. When I questioned it I was told it was controlled off-site and someone would fix it. Well, an adjustment was made and some of the channels that had been black came on, but others went black. It;s like they have a certain number of Channels available at any given time, not all of them
Very clean and functional, helpful staff. Quiet location, well designed parking. Excellent value. Good bed. Will consider staying here again. Room thermostat seemed to have little effect. An extra comfortable chair or sofa would have been nice. Breakfast was OK if you liked carbs. Eggs and breakfast meats were dissapointing, but not inedible.
This hotel was in a great location to the interstate, outlet mall and eating. I would stay here again if in the area. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom and shower could've used a better cleaning. It looked to just be wiped down. Front desk gave us extra towels when needed and breakfast was plenty. Hotel was quiet and no outside noise.
Why should you stay at this Best Western? I've been on vacation for two weeks, Heading home to maine from FL. Left fort Myers at 10 pm know I would have no place to stay til 3pm. After eight hours of driving it was time to sleep in my truck or pay two nights for a room, I stopped in Port Wentworth, Ga. First stopped at Inn At Mulberry Grove. Was told to come back at 930am no clerk til then, so I came over to Best Western and Ashley was at the front desk, I figured I would just have to pay for two nights, I didn't care I was tired, I understand hotels are there to make money, I asked about a room and how did it work with me checking in at 630am, Ashley look and said there was a room and I would not need to pay for two nights, This may not seem much to others, for me I was impressed most don't care, Not many chain hotels would do this., Ashley even told me to go over and have there complementary breakfast, I could go one, but I'll stay here again because of what Ashley did for me, the hotel is cleans, nice clean modern room, worth a stay to meet Ashley, she is very genuine and funny
Great property, they have great people working there. It is in a great location. We enjoyed the stay very much. We would very much consider this hotel for future stays in this area. The rooms were clean, the staff was great and even the breakfast was very good.
I loved everything about this hotel the staff greeted us friendly and helped us out with our rewards vouchers. the stay was comfortable and we enjoyed the entire two nights we were booked. we would stay at this or any Best Western hotel every time we travel from now on.
Overnight stay on road trip. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Nice lobby and pool. Bathroom clean. Rooms had Refrigerator and microwave. Quick stop and go traveling on the road. Just one night stay
Best "Best Western" hotel I have ever stayed in. Beautiful property, great, modern rooms, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast. Very impressive remodel of the hotel. Everything looked new! Staff went out of their way to take care of us, even locating some cream cheese when the regular supply was out.
Upon our arrival we were greeted and treated with great hospitality. The rooms were very spacious with a refrigerator, and a microwave . I love the chair and ottoman by my bed, my Son and family enjoy their room and the others that we travel with did also . Very clean, really nice , we also enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning. Begin I have hot oatmeal, but they did have the package which I did not care for, but in all everything else was very nice.Very nice lobby and dining area .There were also restaurants in the area and not too far from downtown and only 15 minutes outside of Savannah Georgia where we were going. And the maid in the hotel was nice. You received clean fresh towel daily and the maids were just as friendly very hospitable. The family enjoy the swimming pool and I am I put my feet in the water that was enough for me. I enjoyed the gym working out not as nice as I thought it would but OK .
Staff was very friendly from the first moment we arrived. They room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Location is a little far from the historical places we wanted to see but great value still.
We stayed one night. The room was good sized, the beds comfortable and it was clean. It was quiet and everything worked fine. Minor issues: Breakfast was pretty good although they had run out of all juice by 8:45 and were a bit slow to restock the waffle batter. One pillow case had a stain and one bed coverlet had a sizable black mark on it but they appeared to be clean. I would stay again.
Stopped overnight on our way to Orlando nth hotel is very nice for the price. The breakfast is good for a free hot breakfast. Parking was scarce as a few tractor trailers were taking up 8-10 spaces each. That wasn't the hotel's fault. Would recommend.
This was a last minute choice but a very good one the rooms were cleaned and the staff were on point. Stayed there for 3 days and did not have any issues, and the breakfast was good and the price was fair as well.
This location in in remodel the should have closed till finish or hire a cleaning service to clean if they are having guest during the remodel! My room had BLACK mold in the tile grout shower curtain hung too high when I showered it blew outside the tub and flooded the bathroom had to use extra towels to soak up water. Bathroom door would close by itself used the trash can to prop the door open. Exposed wires in the elevator. Housekeeping mopped the interior of the elevator 3pm in afternoon use the mop top prop door open which made use of inoperable. fortunately I travel with sanitizing wipes the furniture in the room was covered in powdered grime. Morning of checkout I used my flip flop to kill a ROACH climbing up the wall!
We really enjoyed this hotel. Very clean rooms, newly renovated. And I have to mention this: The breakfast was very high end. For those of us who travel in this particular price range or travel in the "savings" end of things, this hotel really brought the class for the breakfast- eggs, bacon, coffee, waffles, cereal, breads, etc. You don't need a trip to MacDonald's in the morning, so long as you are down by 9:30. The head breakfast staff told me that a lot of people complain because it's not a huge offering of breakfast, but quite frankly, they are offering a very nice breakfast for it being added to the room. If you need a better selection, you may need to pay for that. My only mention to the company: The night person we encountered when we checked in on Friday, June 17th, after 1pm, was a bit creepy and very stern with us. I guess we look like teenagers that are going to smoke and have pets in our room or something. I was rather surprised that the rest of the staff was very accommodating.
Well, we called and were traveling and reserved a king room with a roll away bed. All was set when we got there and the rollaway bed was already in the room. However, the room was 79 degrees and the A/C would not turn on. We called the front desk and were told to unplug it and plug it back in. 5 minutes later it was still not working. I went to the front desk and one of the ladies (Cassandra) said come with me. She proceeded to mess with the A/C for about 45 minutes. She asked the other lady at the front desk what rooms were left. The one at the front desk told her there were two left. Instead of moving us she kept playing with the A/C. It came on and Cassandra assured me it would work all night. It stopped 30 seconds later. We proceeded to look for other rooms at a different hotel during this as we had no faith it would work again. Good thing we did as they sold the last two rooms during this time and could not move us once they decided to do so. The two staff got into a disagreement at the front desk with one stating to Cassandra that they should have moved us when she advised there were two rooms left. Our card was already charged. When we asked about a refund, Cassandra said it was cancelled and would refund soon. My wife asked for something in writing stating that and got attitude from Cassandra. Another guest told Cassandra to just sign the paper and to calm down. The staffer snatched the paper from my wife's hands, not exaggerating that point either. She wrote "no charge" largely on the paper and slid it back across the counter. We left at that point. The place looks nice and the other lady working was very professional and accommodating. Cassandra needs retraining. I do not expect much from this posting. It seems the replies from management are similar canned responses.
We stayed in this hotel on our travels to North Carolina and on our return journey...the location was convenient to the highway, it had lovely spacious rooms and a good breakfast to set us on our way, however it was the excellent customer service from management and staff that impressed us the most... we hope to return one day
It was impossible for an older person who is 5'2" to mountain climb into the bed and I was not the only person to have this problem because they actually provided a step stool, which to me is dangerous . I will not stay here ever again
Had a great stay at this hotel. Great last minute decision. Will definitely visit again. Courteous staff, Very clean. Great breakfast with many options. Relaxing and fancy lobby area. A good place to stop on the way to Florida
After driving for almost 12 hours, we booked a room here while on the road. There was a massive traffic tie-up but we managed to find a back way into this place. The front desk welcome was very pleasant and we felt welcomed here. Parking is free and provides convenient access to the rooms and elevators. Rooms are normal, quiet and comfortable - and clean. Breakfast was provided and included hot and cold selections. Enjoyed our stay here.
Unsatisfied with room due to air conditioning, television channels and reception, cleanliness and staff attentiveness. Breakfast was prepared with timeless and the best you could do with low cost products provided to staff. It may do for one night on the road, but not good for extended stays.
This hotel was a really clean last minute stop. They also honored the price I showed them from trip advisor. Staff very friendly! Basic breakfast provided in the morning . Would definitely return and recommend to others. Free wifi included as well
This was a very nice Best Western. I have stayed in a few Plus Motels and this ranks up there with the best. The staff was courteous and friendly. An added benefit was the 8th Air Force Museum just down the road. This was a hidden gem and a real delight to tour. We spent 1 1/2 hours there and could have spent the whole day.
We have stayed at many excellent Best Western properties. This was not one of them, though it certainly is not totally the fault of the management. The area is basically industrial and a short distance away all the semi-trucks in the world are moving up and down the highway. Railroad tracks run behind the trees at the back side of the property just beyond the parking lot. They were noisy. The tracks are not mentioned in the AAA tour book, though two properties in a city we intended to stay at in South Carolina had such a notation in the tour book. The motel originally had belonged to another chain, so probably Best Western did the best with what they had. We had taken a suite, which was a large inverted L open room. Light from the parking lot could not be blocked out because of the design of the curtains. As it was a suite, the TV was very far from the bed. In order for two people to watch at the same time, it had to be angled at the couch and we had to turn our heads to watch. The grill vents on the heater/air conditioner were missing. It was not a problem, but indicated to me that someone was not making periodic checks for required maintenance. I will say the shower was good, not a trickle one gets at so many hotels and motels. There is no information book in the rooms as there are at other properties. I went to the desk to ask for one, but she said they do not use them. They would give you a list of what you needed, such as churches or restaurants. The restaurant list had only fast food locations with the exception of one regular restaurant. At afternoon rush hour it takes 10 to 15 minutes to reach that restaurant which is only about 1 1/2 miles from the property. There are no side or back roads to the restaurant. They did give us some good literature for visiting Savannah, which allowed us to plan a wonderful day in the old city and on River Street. Because of large crowds at breakfast, some breakfast items were totally gone, regardless what time one arrived. One day my wife was told that she had gotten the last yogurt, for example. Another day we were told the bacon on the line was the last of it, though there was plenty of a very nice tasting sausage. The only fruits were apples and bananas (one day there weren't even any apples). We stayed 3 nights.
Easy access from highway and a gas station right across the street. Nice breakfast and easy check in and out. This was the first time we stayed at this location. We travel to Florida several times a year and Savannah is our stopping place. This will be our place to stop from now on.
Was traveling and reached my driving limit and needed a room for the night. There were other hotels in the area but can't go wrong with Best Western. Only problem was the knob for powering the air condition unit was missing.
The rooms are very clean and comfy. The pool is amazing, but the sun deck could be a little larger. The breakfast is okay, standard nothing extra or fancy. No biscuits and gravy just eggs and sausage. Waffles too!! Plenty of pillows in the room and plenty of parking for cars and trucks!! I like that you can eat breakfast outside!! I would recommend this place and definitely stay here again!!!
I was traveling home from a vacation trip and made a reservation to stay in this hotel. I was pleased with the courtesy of the staff and the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The refrigerator, microwave and air conditioning were in perfect work order. This is close to the highway so it was a easy off/on to I95. When in the area I will absolutely stay here again.
Room was very clean and well laid out. I especially appreciated that the AC/heat did not blow directly onto the desk area and the beds. Beds were comfortable. Decor in the room and also in the corridors, lobby and breakfast area seemed more upscale than typical of this price range.
This Hotel is always a good choice. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and the staff are welcoming and friendly. It is just off I-95 and only 15 minutes away from Savannah downtown/Historic district. They have an excellent hot buffet breakfast and a nice outdoor pool that we did not use. I will definitely stay again in the future and recommend this hotel to family and friends. Keep it up!!!
Room was nice. Bed very comfortable. Only complaint was no bathmat. Floor is slippery with wet feet from shower. Also, angle of shower head causes water to spray on bathroom floor. Except for those little things, room was nice, people were nice, enjoyed the stay.
We stayed 2 nights I think that if you're looking for affordable accommodations and not that far from River Street about a 15 minute drive. Our room was clean and my best friend and I were not in our room long but the staff was friendly our housekeeper was the best and we got breakfast with our stay I didn't use the pool or the fitness center but I did take advantage of the free Wi-Fi which saved me on my data. If ever in the area again I would most definitely stay here again!
Stayed at this hotel for a night before flight out early the next morning out of SAV airport. There are hotels closer to airport but pricing was better at Port Wentworth. Had no issues as the room itself was clean and everything functional including climate control which ran quiet. My rewards status was acknowledged at check in which was appreciated. The lobby was spacious and two computers were there for use but they were occupied by people (staff?) playing games. I was somewhat annoyed since I wanted to check in my flight. They were gone a little while later. I found it noisy initially especially when a bus load of older travelers arrived. The din did die down and it was quiet soon after. Importantly the bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep, ready to go early the next morning.
This hotel met our expectations for a reasonably priced one night stay. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was the usual BW fare but good. Room was recently renovated and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to a family member or friend looking for a good stop between southern Florida and Ontario.
Nice hotel but a little too far from SCAD which was my reason to visit. A plus is the hotel is located close to Savannah AIRPORT! The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included hot and cold items and plenty of room to sit down. Also, the BEDS were comfortable.
water fountain not working in lobby; dysfunctional door for pool entrance; dirty pool; customer service is great depending on who's at the desk. Breakfast is a joke; don't expect much - save money for the nearest restaurant.
Last time we stayed here it was a windgate hotel and all was great. Now it is a best western and service had gone downhill. First day when we returned to room bed was unmade. You never get replacement soaps and shampoo after staying here for 3 days. We went out and got our own supplies. Will be traveling back into this area but will no longer stay at this hotel
Our family wanted to visit Savannah and had the opportunity to stay just outside of the city. Good location, only 15 minutes from Savannah, nice restaurants in the area and the hotel had a wonderful breakfast. The bedding was wonderful.
Stayed for just one night. While traveling North, we waited to see where we would be ready to stop for the night instead of making reservations. We picked up one of the flyers with hotel specials at a gas station once we crossed into Georgia. We checked one hotel nearby but they wouldn't honor their rate, so we checked out this hotel instead. As soon as we walked in with the flyer, before saying anything, the lady welcomed us and told us she had a room and at the rate in the flyer. The hotel was in a great location for accessing 95. Our room was very clean and recently updated. The bathroom was clean as well. There was some noise from people around us, but that is to be expected. The breakfast bar was OK. My mom had eggs and bacon but the eggs were cold. I just had toast and cereal which was fine. There was also a waffle maker which we didn't use. The hotel also has an outdoor pool that we did not use.
Lobby was very inviting, checking was easy and manager upgraded my room to a suite, I guess he heard about how bad my stay was at Days Inn, Mt Pleasant Charleston-Patriots Point. Although I wasn't able to make it down for breakfast because of how comfortable the bed was, I heard from other guess that they enjoyed the breakfast. Parking lot are well lit and clean and housekeepers are very kind and pleasant.
The Motel was average and we felt that a Plus stay would be significantly different than the average Motel that we've stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful..the food selection was just average ..perhaps we expected more but it was average. We stooped here due to massive traffic problems ahead. I would recommend this Motel.
This newly-renovated hotel was nicely located off highway I-81. Staff was caring, friendly and helpful. Advance check-out made our departure easy. The only draw-back was the limited breakfast items like fresh fruits, yogurts, for a BW Plus.
Friendly staff, great welcome, easy parking, and good sized rooms. Unfortunately, maintenance is not quite up to "plus" standards (e.g., shower curtain mildew), but all-in-all a nice place in a good location.
Made a reservation for a place past half way to Florida spring break weekend. Glad we did, roads were worse than expected. Just spent the night there but very nice rooms, very comfortable beds. Standard breakfast. Room rate seemed reasonable for weekend. Pleasant staff. Would stay again.
the check in was great and Sara-the personal at the desk was so professional ,pleasant and efficient at her job-I would highly recommend her. the hotel was lovely and the breakfast was fine. Sara recommended a dinner location when we asked her and it was a super choice. Sara was extremely busy and it was great to see her multitask so efficiently
I was overcharged for regular room-$229.99 before taxes, $264.89 overall, that was just unbelievable rip-off. I have platinum reward card, stayed in Best Western for many years in Great Britain, Canada, US but never before had such an experience, the staff was not friendly, the room did not have enough towels, TV had only few channels, sink in bathroom was clogged, everything did not correspond to the price paid
We have never had a bad experience at a Best Western. The bed at this location was extremely comfortable. The check in gentleman was very knowledgeable of the area as we wanted to go downtown for dinner. He gave us great directions! The room was clean and the whole facility was clean and nicely decorated.
Great stop-off on the way to Florida. Nice, clean rooms, friendly staff and right off the interstate so it was convenient and a welcome sight after the heavy traffic! Breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary, but good and convenient. Would definitely stay again if the need arises.
From check-in to check-out the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and lobby is clean and inviting. Had issues with water pressure in toilet and shower but the staff was quick to make things right. The beds were comfy, the a/c was perfect and the breakfast was yummy. Very easy access to downtown Savannah and the staff gave us really good tips and brochures about the downtown area and Tybee island.
The hotel itself is very nice and relatively new. However, the maintenance is not very good. For example the cleaning of the lifts took more than 24h even though a sticky liquid had been spilled. If this does not change, this nice hotel will quickly become less attractive.
Apart from minor 'problems', readily reported, this hotel is a pleasant 'place to stay'. Easily reached just a short distance from the Interstate, this location is suitable for all types of travellers, business or leisure.
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. From the lobby, to the room, which was completely refurbished and the breakfast next morning. Beds were F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. The night desk clerks at check it were fun, nice, and on the ball.
This as well as all the Best Westerns I have stayed in was Great all the way around. Stayed in Best Westerns my entire trip. Will stay with them in all my trips from here on . Clean, Friendly , and this all made my stays great.
Stopped by on my way to fla, best nights sleep ever ,those beds are the best thing since sliced bread,I would stay there anytime in area, the fresh rooms and great breakfast you can't go wrong if you stay here
The room was not thoroughly cleaned making it difficult to unwind and relax. Breakfast looked fine but the coffee was very weak and the eggs unappealing. The best part was dinner at a nearby restaurant, Sweet-Tea Grill.
Our car club holds two events a year, and we switched to this Best Western for a group of 35 drivers. Checking in with Cosandra was so smooth and efficient. All the staff is helpful, friendly and accommodating to any request. We held a large dinner that was catered for our group, and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful in making sure we had all that we needed. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. When you call the desk, they answer on the first ring. Service far exceeds other hotels we have used for this event, and we will definitely come back. The owner, Naji is very nice to deal with and could not have been more supportive. My suggestion is to book early or as soon as you know you need a room in that area because they fill up quickly, and they are well worth the price.
This Best Western Plus used to be a different hotel and had recently been take over and remodeled. The renovations are still in progress and we noticed workers were tracking dirt in a number of places. The bricks on the front column had been removed for some reason. Our room was very nice with a king size bed, stuffed chair and ottoman, and desk and chair. There was microwave and a small refrigerator with a tiny freezer. The tiny freezer was welcome because we could refreeze our ice paks that we use for sore shoulders. The bed was firm and very tall - too tall. Neither of us could touch the floor when sitting on it. Our room on the top floor faced the back and the light coming in was bright. Even with the drapes closed there was too much light coming in. We place a few things against the drapes to keep them against the wall to reduce the light. The bathroom was new and clean. The water was hot but the stream was not very strong. The sign indicating how much they would charge if a towel or clock radio were taken was both amusing and annoying. The exercise room was redone and the bike and treadmill were great. The elliptical seems like it was not assembled correctly and was tippy. There are hand weights and a bench. The TVs had no remote and when I did find the on button there was no signal. WiFi worked fine. Breakfast fare was typical for this brand. The fresh made waffle was very good. The bagels were small. The woman running the breakfast area was very friendly TV flicker The train does run behind this hotel and we heard it twice in the early evening but not while we were sleeping. When renovations are complete and some of the odd things addressed, I can see adding a star to my rating.
My stay at the Best Western Plus was wonderful. My family and I stayed for the weekend. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Gave me great directions for places to eat and shop. The hotel was very beautifully designed and decorated. The rooms were very clean and updated as well and beds were extremely comfortable. Found out they are pillowtop mattresses. My family and I had breakfast each morning we were there. It was very filling with hot and cold items on the breakfast bar. We love savannah and will definitely be back. Free parking, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, newly renovated, great price. You can definitely say I will stay here again.
I stayed at this hotel when it used to be a Wingate. I decided to stay at this location again after the hotel was renovated and changed to a Best Western Plus. I must admit, I am happy that I did.The hotel looks so much better and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I stayed while there was a group of people who loves to drive porches were there. The hotel was very busy but it didn't interfere with the service I received from the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I got great directions to the historic area of savannah and was given a great place to eat from the lady at the front desk. This place is a real diamond in the rough. I will be sure to return when ever I am in this area again.
My wife and I visited this place on a short trip to the Savannah area. We arrived very early to see if early checkin was possible. From the moment we walked in the front door, We were greeted with warm smiles from the staff and management. They were happy to check us in early! The room was spotless. The set up was nice for my wife and I. We were able to enjoy breakfast before going to our room and it was great too! The breakfast hostess was a real sweetheart. I have found a home away from home at this location. We will return everytime we visit the savannah area for sure!!!
We stopped here after a very long day on the road and reading many many trip advisor reviews of hotels in the area this was the one with the best rating and least negative reviews so starting positive, the woman who worked the desk both nights we were there was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable, free breakfast was good and different both mornings. For the most part the entire place was very clean but our bathroom smelled of mildew, the wall in the bathroom between the tub and door had some holes in it and appeared to have been repaired many times, there was a bug in the tub when I woke up Monday morning and when I woke up Sunday morning I had bites on my neck, right hand and right wrist though other than the bug in the tub Monday morning I never saw any other bugs in or out of my bed...appears to have been a spider bite. SO...bites, bugs and the smell of mildew...can't do this place again
Very nice facility. Everything was newly rennovated with modern decor. They have a small exercise room but we didn't have time to use it. And an outside pool, but it was too cold to be in the pool this time of year. Very nice property overall and right off I-95 exit. Cassandra was most helpful with restaurant suggestions and seemed very glad to be of service.
Stayed here one night on a road trip from NJ to Orlando. Great front desk service, very clean and comfortable room. Free breakfast included and low price for the night using AAA, hard to beat that deal. I would very much highly recommend and stay again on the next road trip.
No serious problems at all, would recommend highly. Minor complaint of no fresh fruit available for complementary breakfast. Location easy for access to freeway. All in all, a good experience. Staff was very helpful with directions and such too.
We overnighted here during a long road trip. Not a luxury establishment, but more than acceptable. It`s clean, quiet, free wi-fi and breakfast at an affordable price. When driving long distances in places you don`t know, not having to worry about safety or cleanliness is reassuring.
room nice but no elevator not happy with that, I have a bad knee, BREAKFAST WAS CLOSE AND LADIES VERY FRIENDLY WHERE FOOD WAS .there are plenty to do around hotel.the people at front desk are very friendly.
Had to stay here as my truck was being repaired at Freightliner dealer down the street. Room was clean but the a/c was not working, asked for another room and was told they were full and it wasn't happening. Also the remote for the TV was broke and there wasn't a replacement. Lobby was basic no frills. Breakfast was adequate and should give you a good start for the day. Shower water pressure was low but plenty of hotwater. Later I found out I could have stayed at the Hampton Inn for a lower price had I mentioned I was having my truck worked on at the Freightliner dealership.
What a wonderful experience, after a very long drive from Ontario via Virginia we were exhausted and fortunately we were accomodated as walk-ins. We selected a more comfortable room with a separate sitting area and were able to lounge around and unwind. We were able to enjoy The Sweet Tea Grill as suggested by the hotel staff and it was excellent. Love everything about this location and will suggest to friends and use next year when we travel down.
The dirty bathroom (floor and Tub) and very poor breakfast selection gives this otherwise nice hotel a bad name. I also asked at the check out process in the morning why I wasn't offered express check out. The girl told me it was because that hotel opted out of that process which I thought was strange.
I am a new customer for Best Western & I enrolled in their reward program. I will probably switch to their brand, following my stay in North Savanah. If you want a clean, quiet hotel, located away from the greasy food spots, you go there. It is pretty, very convenient, just out of I-95 but located in a kind of enclave, surrounded by trees. Staff was courteous, breakfast delicious. Wifi is good in the room, but computer for guests in business center is bad news. The price is right. No rip off like my usual brand lately. So all together bravo
Fairly new hotel was clean and well maintained. Free breakfast was better than average. Rooms were comfortable and not too noisy. This is part of the hotel chain's rebranding effort and seems to work well.
Nice hotel seems that it was renovated not to long ago. Worked well for a place to sleep on my way home from FL. They had a free hot breakfast so I was able to eat before getting back on the road and not having to look for somewhere to eat before my 14 hour drive ahead.
Stayed here with a group. and our stay was really nice. Cassandra went out of her way to make sure that all of our needs were met. She even let us use the dining area for a little social hour. We were there Sept. 14th. Thanks Sassy Ladies Travel
Employees were wonderful and friendly. Management is another story. Housekeeping did not properly clean, replace items or maintain the rooms during my 3 day stay. Upon arrival our king size bed had a full size mattress cover on it which did not fit and was all bunched up under the sheets. I went to the front desk and was given the correct size by the person at the desk, but was told housekeeping leaves at 4 P.M. so I would have to remake the bed myself. Sheets were never changed on the bed the entire stay. Beds are extremely high and very hard to get in for a short person. Pillows are the most uncomfortable that I have ever experienced any where. The toilet constantly ran and no one seemed to know what to do with it. In speaking to others staying there it seems it's an issue in almost all rooms. The first morning there was no toaster for breakfast supposedly it was broken. The management should have immediately went out and purchased a cheap toaster until the other could be repaired or replaced. There seemed to be only 1 person on duty after 5 P.M. which meant if something wasn't in your room they had to run it to you and not be at the desk or make you come get it. I feel really bad for these employees working in these conditions. Management needs to get with it. Have no shuttle service and there are no restaurants close enough to walk to.
The staff was checking a bus in when we arrived. We had to wait more than 15 minutes to check in after a long ride. We were greeted as platinum members but it was downhill from bthere. We asked for extra pillows on the way to our room. Didn't get the, the toilet didn't flush so we called the front desk. A lady came up and said it must be because of all the other guests. Well it ran all night and would not flush properly. Staff wasn't friendly or appreciative.
This Best Western was nicely redecorated. HOWEVER, the bed was to high and the toilet was too low. The power kept going on and off affecting the TV. There was not paper showing channels available. and no number shown on the telephone to call. We had to physically walk to the front desk. The ice machine was one floor up. There were no restaurants nearby, We will not stay there again.
Our stay at the Best Western was a nice one. The room was nice and clean, but bed to high for short people.Service was given when asked for. The buffet breakfast was nice and hot, and the coffee was very good.A special thanks to Cassandra for her extra help...............
The hotel was recently remodeled and updated, which made for a nice experience. The room was well cleaned and maintained. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good, and we all slept well. The bathroom was quite small in my opinion.
