Best Western Plus Pleasanton Inn

Overall stay was almost perfect due to an outstanding staff that make you feel at home. They were all extremely friendly and capable in their jobs. From check-in to check-out (including the breakfast service) they made you feel welcome and appreciated your business.

hotel is bit of out of dated, but is in a good location. Service is great. room is clean. The stuff are friendly and willing to help. I asked questins about the tour to San Francisco, golden gate bridge and Chinatown and got a informative answer.

People are always very nice, great breakfast options, clean common areas and rooms. Mini fridge and microwaves in rooms, spacious rooms with extra attention like k cups, non-slip shower mat, and ear plugs for those super sensitive to sounds.

I am not someone who enjoys leaving bad reviews but I care about others so here we go... When I pulled into the parking lot @ Best Western Pleasanton, CA I had immediate regret. I tried to stay positive and checked in thinking of the good reviews I had read online even though the lobby smelled repulsive. My "freeway sound" room had a horrendous odor of smoke, dog pee, and mold. The main door had to be shoved tight for the dead bolt to engage - I could barely do it by myself. The old aluminum window looked like I could push it strait out of the frame. The bathroom was old and moldy. The bedding looked clean but I can't imagine the mattress underneath. I was so grossed out that I grabbed all of my belongings right then and there and split. It also felt grossly unsafe. Sadly, I ended up having to pay because I had missed the 24 hour refund requirement! Total waste of money. Do not stay at this hotel! Stay at the Marriott up the street instead.

I cannot submit this review without mentioning the cleaning staff who clean the rooms as if they were their own. The ladies work really hard and should always be acknowledged and rewarded. Let's face it, if companies, businesses, organizations did not have a cleaning staff, they would all be out of business. Please reward the cleaning staff and treat them like they are human beings because they are.

Very nice, well kept property. Road noise was not a problem for us. Pool was nice, breakfast was good, staff was friendly and we felt very safe. Great location, close to freeways, rental cars and lots of food options. Only thing we could complain about was the beds were hard, I guess you can't make everyone happy.

The big plus for this BW is the location. Close to the freeway (i-580) with easy access. This plus is also the one drawback in that the rooms close to the freeway can be noisy. Breakfast is standard BW. The service line was kept clean and refreshed frequently. Dining area is large enough for a small group.

Dated hotel with poorly maintained rooms. Shower drain was slow resulting in tub filing with dirty shower water. Cheap towels and mold on the bottom of the shower curtain liner. AC was delayed and not properly running to maintain temperature. Only plus was the bed itself was very comfortable which of course is huge.

I booked the room to a third-party and pre-paid and the front desk clerk didn't know how to retrieve that information so he double charged me for the room. I sure hope they figure out how to refund me.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and a great stay overall. Only thing that did not meet our expectations was the lack of a hand-held shower head in the handicap shower which made it difficult for my wife. Hotel was notified of this and we expect they will review and be in compliance with ADA requirements by our next trip.

They provide earplugs for the highway noise. The room contained used towels once they got me in a room that was not occupied. Fridge was dirty. Was checked into a room that was occupied and walked in on people. Took nearly 45 mins from start to finish to get into a room.

This is not the Hyatt but it is very clean, comfortable, and priced reasonably. The staff were all polite and helpful. Those things combined to make our trip a very pleasant and enjoyable one. The breakfast isn't bad either as it has hot and cold things. Something for everyone. Thank you Best Western Pleasanton.

Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Staff was great, friendly, helpful. The grounds were very well kept. Breakfast was very good, above my expectations. Location was great, close to everything I needed.

Our experience at this hotel was exceptional. The check-in and check-out staff was fast, friendly and helpful. They provided helpful information for area eats, shopping and entertainment. Although, we had no issues they made it clear they were available to assist in any way. The "pet friendly" room for our service dog was clean and quiet. At check-out the manager was helpful and informative for best nearby gas and travel directions. Additionally, she was so caring she offered 2 bottles of water for our service dog. So although it was a short stay our experience was exceptional.

From filthy couches, cheap surroundings, inferior decor and 100% minority run property this is not the level of excellence you expect from a best western! I should have seen it before I booked it. Never again

Called front desk and was told that sub-1mbps down and sub-.4mbps up is functioning properly. Literally had to disconnect from wifi to post this. Only best western I've stayed at with potato internet.

I am going to preface this by saying that I recently stayed at a Best Western Plus in Lebanon, Oregon and that experience was off the charts!!! So I was a bit disappointed by this Best Western Plus. The rooms were clean but well-used, tired, and smaller than the ones I stayed in previously at other Best Western Plus hotels. The carpet had been vacuumed and all surfaces were clean. The bathtub has some mold along one seam but it was inside the caulking so not an issue as far as allergies. The towels were thin and scratchy but clean and refreshed daily as needed. TV worked and had a large variety of channels. Had a refrigerator that we didn't use. The staff and housekeeping were FABULOUS. The free breakfast was decent with both hot food (eggs, bacon and sausage and waffles) and a good variety of cold items. The price was very good for the Bay Area. The area was safe for two senior traveling women unfamiliar with the area.

Worst hotel, workers are thieves do not stay here had a reservation originally for Friday made a reservation to check in for a day earlier and they charge me $200 no show fee even though I am currently staying at the hotel and refuse to refund me the bogus $200 no show fee, no customer service rude front desk and smug personality beware do not stay at this shady place

I needed a hotel about midway between Brentwood and San Jose. I have had good experiences with Best Western on road trips in the past and counted on my expectations of the brand that the hotel would provide a good night's sleep. When we arrived at the hotel I was immediately concerned by the extremely loud freeway noise. I asked for a quieter room and was given one seemingly away from the freeway, but on the third floor, essentially getting the full blast of the noise from the 5-lane freeway. It was almost impossible to sleep with constant noise. Because they do not allow cancelations on the day of arrival we weren't able to just go somewhere else. Additionally, Best Western Plus are supposed to provide nicer amenities than the standard. This was not the case. If you stay here expect the bare minimum. After reading the other reviews again, which I did before booking, I expect that the hotel has been posting positive reviews to increase their rating.

Wi-Fi constantly shut down, main productivity impossible. Pool was closed, in AUGUST. Room was small but livable. Plenty of ice was available. Breakfast was decent. I don't understand how this place earned the Plus title. Facility is old and hard to find for people who don't know the area. We are loyal to the Best Western brand or we wouldn't have been there. Step it up.

very nice stay, spent day at Alameda County Fair, back to hotel for a few hours rest, then back to fair for Super Diamond Concert! nice to not have to drive back home at night! Would have like to have been able to check in earlier as we are Diamond members, but no rooms available, so we understood.

Best spot in the area very accommodating to your needs I appreciated the hospitality and understanding of all the staff made me feel welcome no matter what time of day it was went above and beyond to service me I feel like I owe them one for showing me how a business is supposed to treat you, showed me nothing but love and respect thank you.

Although located next to the freeway but surprisingly we slept very well ( they provide earplugs if needed) . Five minute walk to BART and frequent trains into San Francisco. 10 minutes drive into the town and lots of restaurants Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The rooms were clean, the area felt safe and the staff was very nice. The other guests were nice, I've been at hotels where the other guests are very sketchy. The breakfast was good and had a variety of options. There was a Black Bear Diner right next door, clean and good service.

I have stayed in lots of hotels and I have to say this might be the friendliest place I have ever stayed. Each person there spoke to you and greeted you. Not just in a polite greeting, but an honestly open and friendly way that truly made you feel welcome. From the front desk team, both evening and morning staff, to the breakfast manager to the maids, everyone was above and beyond friendly.

I do not recommend this hotel. Noise was extremely loud. Bug in my bathroom. Nice that food places was close but I would not stay here again. Do not stay here. I repeat do not book here. Convince is not always better.

I got in late, but front desk read accommodating and friendly. Rooms are large, clean, quiet. I like that there is a fridge and microwave in the room. My room faced the freeway but you didn't hear it at all. Just a heads up though rm 336 as of the date of this review does have a really really loud ac lol but it was so cold out i ended up being able to turn it out without room getting hot. Overall a great stay as usual and i will be back.

This is a decent hotel for a short stay. Unfortunately, the location along a freeway and busy room make for a very loud noise level in the rooms even if you ask for the quite side of the hotel. Seeing ear plugs on the night stand lets you know this is a problem the staff is aware of. This is also an older hotel where the room's windows looked out over the walkway access. That means everyone going by looks directly into your room if you open the window curtains. That means no natural lighting to have privacy. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the room was clean and neat.

Room was too small everything was to crammed up. Bathroom was super small.Beds did not look like queen beds but like full size. Bed too close to air conditioner. It seems like they tried to fit everything into a small space.

Would be so happy if all BW locations followed same standards for appearance and cleanliness. Have stayed at some that were exceptional, others disappointing and this one fell somewhere in the middle. A older building, advertised as smoke-free lodging. Our unit had obviously been a smoking unit at one time in the past. Bed and bath linens fresh but upon entering, the room was stale smelling like smoke had permeated the walls and fixtures. Room amenities (TV, AC, WIFI, frig, etc) all functioned well. Disappointed to see little bugs crawling on walls around sink basin. Room probably due, or past due, for pest treatment. Bed comfortable. Front desk and breakfast attendant employees friendly. Had choice of bagged breakfast or a few selections (waffles, cereal, toast, muffins, fruit, beverages) at counter. Access to 580 and 680 convenient. Light sleepers might be bothered by traffic noise. Walk to Starbucks. Location of motel north of the heart of Pleasanton about 10 miles.

It feels like BW purchased a motel, face lifted it to make it acceptable, but the bones still make you feel like you are at a prison motel that is off the beaten path. Comes with ear plugs which I don't normally see at most best westerns. Still acceptable to stay at, one of the rooms had a noisy AC unit compared to another room I stayed at but at least it still worked.

Love the city, but this hotel while nice and clean is right next to the 580 and the room noise made sleep very difficult. The bed are very firm so that added to the poor review. On the positive, room was very clean and hotel was in good condition, just the bed and location are the negatives.

Our stay was great. The staff is wonderful and friendly, and the property is maintained and clean. The beds were a little too hard compared to what we have at home, but overall nice. The breakfast was good, and a welcome addition.

Hotel staff is very kind and welcoming. The hotel is perfectly located at walking distance from fast food restaurants, a quick drive to other fast foods locations, walmart, grocery store, the bart station, and the outlets. Beds are comfy, grand variety of channels on tv, and the breakfast area is well stocked.

The location is very convenient right next to the freeway. However, that does make noise a factor. However, we asked for a room on the side away from the freeway and that helped some. They also provide foam earplugs, and between those and the air conditioner running, the outside noise did not keep us from sleeping fine. It was disappointing that they still were serving breakfast we paid for. They had a "grab and go" bag of food, but still not the same. The room was very nice (we had two queens), nothing fantastic, but very nice. Had everything you would expect/need in a room.

The place was perfect. Very clean and well-kept. Walking distance to the BART station. The only downside is that breakfast was not offered, but the was a sign of the times, and not the fault of the establishment. I will stay here again when I'm in the aera.

We were booked into this hotel for a business trip for 3 weeks. Upon arrival the desk clerk said that he would put us on the quiet side of the hotel. Ha! Using a dB sound level meter the noise level inside my room measured around 73dB. Even the hotel admits there is a noise problem by providing earplugs on the nightstand in each room. This seems to be the only measure they have taken to reduce the noise in the rooms. The management has yet to respond to my email about the facilities that I sent on our first day. We don't fault the staff of the hotel as everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We ended up cutting our stay short at this hotel because the noise from the nearby thoroughfare and freeway made sleeping a nightmare.

This hotel worked great for an easy commute to Oakland. I was able to print things from the 2 computers in the lobby. Pool and Hot Tub were closed due to Covid but looked nice. Staff super nice. This hotel was a great value considering the $25 promotion Best Western was offering per night for up to 4 nights as well as if you buy a Best Western Gift Card for $100 you get a bonus $20 card.

I usually stay at Best Western when I travel, for good value and comfort. This bed, however, was dreadful; I woke after two hours sleep and could not fall back asleep. Noise from nearby highway was too loud to sleep even with earplugs. I was booked for three nights but left after just one.

The website states the hotel is pet friendly but does not say anything about a $100 pet deposit with $35 per day for the pet being there. That's ridiculous. Apart from that the guy who checked us in realized I was coming in with my same sex partner and he proceeded to tell me that “we're family, because he has a brother like me too.” I'm sure he did not mean it in a bad way but I was so annoyed by the comment and by the extra money I had to pay that I checked out of the hotel two days early

This Pleasanton hotel continues its great service, and of course it's the best value in Pleasanton. Their "grab and go" breakfast offerings are labeled so it's not a "grab bag" which is a nice and appreciated touch!

Was on my way home from Napa to Hemet California. Being a Best Western Customer, I decided to stay in Pleasanton before making the long drive home. Being my forst time their I found it to be very convenient for my travel. It had good restaurant near by, coffee shops and it was very near my highway home. The staff was very helpful to help me for all my needs.

Excellent value for the price. Terrific amenities. The staff was competent friendly and went out of their way to insure my overall comfort. The only item for improvement is to upgrade their TV reception to high definition

Overall good experience. Large size rooms. Very good house keeping service The hotel is ideally located.The front office staff is friendly and the breakfast options are decent. Slight problem due to the highway nearby.

The room was clean, cozy, and warm. Theere was plenty of hot water when I showered. The bed was comfortable and the TV was in working order. The employees were freindly and informative. The breakfast was good and had a wonderful variety.

We stayed here for New Years to get away from the fireworks at home. The property is nice, just didnt realize how close it was to the freeway. They do provide ear plugs. Note they charge a $100 deposit on their rooms which I wasnt aware of. Most best westerns charge maybe $25 deposit per night at best. The hotel is nice but reminds me of a Motel 6 lol. The room decor and cleanliness was 5 start though

This hotel is right next to a major highway; there's earplugs in the room for a reason. The ice machine or laundry must run all night because we heard clanking and banging opposite side of the freeway. Now I've been to BW Plus were they have make to order breakfast but not here it's a very institutionalized offering.. a simple hint- with all the amazing restaurants nearby do not eat here. Next time I need a hotel in Pleasanton I definitely will be going somewhere else

My friend and i went to Pleasanton for the Harvest Festival at the fairgrounds. Hotel was relatively inexpensive for a Saturday night. Natalie, at the reception desk, greeted us with a warm, friendly smile, and her bubbly personality. Our room was very clean, and looked like it had been renovated recently. The windows are double paned, and even though the hotel is close to the freeway, we got a good night's sleep without having to use the earplugs that were provided. The provided breakfast had several choices of both hot and cold items to choose from, more than just a continental breakfast, and something I have come to expect from BW Plus. If I am ever back in the Bay Area for an overnighter, I would definitely stay here again.

I returned to Pleasanton where I lived for 40 years to take my grandson to the Montyerey Jazz Festival. In the course of the trip I spent 4 nights at the Best Western Pleasanton Inn. I would not have stayed that many nights if the hotel were not very pleasant.

Check in was ok. However, we were out here for personal family business and we wished we would've stayed elsewhere. We left our room around 1pm and we got back at 6ish and room was still not attended to. We had to walk around to the front desk which I had to wait because no one was there until the side door popped open and a guy out of uniform walked me to the side of the hotel to get towels which I had to carry back. We had no toliet paper in the room and my husband had to walk up front to get some. The pool was no heated in this cold bay area weather. There were certainly sketchy occupants in the hotel as well. The ONLY thing going for themselves is the free parking and free breakfast. The ladies stationed there in the morning are pretty nice, other than that, I HIGHLY recommend a different hotel in this area.

Other than dodging reckless and dangerous driving by a hotel guest in a Silver Mustang in front of the front lobby, my stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The misguided young man in a Silver Mustang nearly hit a pedestrian when he was squealing his rear tires in front of the front lobby.

The hotel itself was fine- once we found it! It is tucked behind an area of car dealerships and retail. Plus there was a lot of construction going on back in the parking area so you had only a few access points in and out of the hotel. It was right off the Fwy so easy on and off- once we figured out how to drive around all the obstacles. The hotel was average- breakfast was fine - but we had to go down to the hotel desk when we got back late one evening- because the maid service only left us ONE Bath Towel & 1 bar of soap for shower and sink in a room for 2 people! Then the front desk person had no towels & said we'd have to wait till she had someone to watch the desk to get us them from the laundry room!! It was already after 11pm & We just wanted to go to bed! Argh! The noise from the Fwy was minimal at night- but definitely could be heard if you are a light sleeper. Only thing that was memorable about this hotel was the Nations Restaurant within walking distance behind the hotel - where you could get food 24 hrs.

I've stayed at 4 local hotels/motels in the Pleasanton area. Some high end. I find this place has more amenities, great staff and is well kept for the price. Having a free breakfast, comfy room and the staff kept the entire complex clean. I would definitely stay here again.

I would stay here again. Service was good. Hotel and rooms were clean. Hot in could have stayed open later if I had to find something to complain about. Freeway was noisy, but once door was closed with tv on it was fine. There should be a sound wall. Good value.

It's right by the freeway, pls do not underestimate the noise. It's LOUD! Our beds still had blood stains from prior guest and management didn't do much to address situation. We had a super loud next door neighbor who had kids opening and closing the door which was soooo squeaky because it wasn't well oiled and kept us up super late.

This place has some of the best rates and the rooms are always clean. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast hits the spot.I asked for a specific side of the hotel to get away from freeway traffic and I was given that, even though I made the reservation just the day before and it was a very busy weekend. They always do their best to accommodate me.

This is the best BW we have stayed in for the size and quality oof the room, primarily. Also, the close proximity and ease of access to the major freeways made this location ideal for traveling east (Livermore), north (Walnut Creek), west 9Menlo Park) and south (San Jose and 101 back to LA).

Upon entering the hotel, Night Manager, Scott, could have not been any more accommodating. He took genuine interest in our reason for the visit and proceeded to go over and above to make sure we were treated like family. The remodeled rooms were comfortable and tasteful. All of the housekeeping ladies were friendly and took great care in tiding up the room each day. Thank you one and all for your thoughtfulness. Great stay!

I planned on rating only 1 star. However, the manager did reach out to me and gave a discount, so, I will rate three stars. I will provide some details about my stay. First, the lady that greeted me upon check-in was not only on an obvious personal call, but was visiting with a friend when I walked up. I did not wait long, however, should not have had to wait at all. The WiFi coverage was not only poor but intermittent at best. This issue goes beyond a mere poor signal issue. However, I immediately knew this was an ongoing issue when the front desk recommended moving closer to the router to resolve the issue. They didn't ask any other questions or offer any troubleshooting. I could hear heavy footsteps above me. The Air Conditioner struggled to maintain a temperature. The noise from the road made it hard to stay asleep. I did notice a card on the night table that recommended wearing ear plugs, however, there were no earplugs. Well, that and the bed was very hard. Unfortunately, if it was just the WiFi issue, I might consider staying again. Due to my overall experience, I will not stay again.

Very good location and near Restaurants and Highway Access. The room may be a little overpriced as compared to other Best Westerns. I would suppose this is because it is in California Bay Area. Still a very good value.

Several people in line, which is understandable, but the guy at the desk just kept complaining about how, busy it was when, "everyone shows up at once". Was given a room which was already occupied and walked in on a lady sitting on the toilet with the bathroom door wide open. Then was given a room that was directly next door to the lady that I walked in on.

Had a great experience at this location. Room was clean, everything in working order, nice sized fridge in the room as well as microwave. Perfect for us. The breakfast provided was more than expected and was always fully stocked. Great hours for breakfast, too. I always look for a place that serves breakfast, and will always look for Best Western Plus from now on, as this was perfect for me and my family.

Was not a Plus Hotel. the work out room was really bad. It was not what we expected, most Plus hotels are supposed to be the nicest and the best. My husband and I would not stay here again. Not sure what else to say.

I would like to say that your front desk clerk micheal was very nice and patience with me cause I forgot to bring my credit card and I had to transfer this and that but it all worked out. This Hotel was Great !!! Starting with the lady at the reception desk which had a beautiful personality. The room was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. This hotel is in a very good location especially if you like to take a run or walk . Upon check out there was a different lady there and she was Great as well. This is my go to hotel next time I have business in the Bay Area.

Stayed at this BW a few weeks ago. Although there is parking on one side of the hotel there is no parking on the front side. Upon unloading and settling in I called the front desk to clarify the parking situation (there were places in front belonging to an event center and a restaurant). This was about 7:30 PM. I was informed that my car would be towed if I parked in those lots. Therefore, I went around behind the hotel and parked along a curb that was not painted any color. The front curb and the corner were painted red. There were also signs on the building stating that the parking were for hotel guests only. At 12:30 AM I got a call front the front desk saying that I was parked in a Fire Lane and I had to move my car immediately. That was bad enough, but the girl on the phone was snippy and rude. The next morning I went to the desk to clarify the parking situation. They said they'd get back to me. Later that day I again went to the Front desk for a clarification. Again, no answer other than I was wrong. This hotel isn't great enough to put up with their rude attitude and poor rooms.

Fairly basic motel, not BW Plus standard, and very close to freeway. Very pricey for what it is - over $160 dollars poor value. Breakfast perfectly good,however, and plenty of parking. The hotel is well away from the town centre of Pleasanton, which is very nice, and where the best restaurants are,

A nice hotel, a little noisy due to close proximity to the freeway, but earplugs are provided.Breakfast is nice - there were some good choices. It would be nice to have flavored creameras all three of us prefer that for our coffee.

We were very disappointed with the hotel. Was not like any Best Western Plus that we have been in.The only thing comfortable was the Jacuzzi. The beds were terrible. The gym was terrible and very small.

Recent reviews are generally accurate, except for price. This motel is as expensive as the places around it, and we're talking over $200 a night. Place is clean, check-in woman very helpful and friendly, parking is adequate. I requested a room away from the highway, got room 230, and it was quiet. Wifi slightly slow, login was clunky and didn't work in the morning. When I booked online, the website didn't give me a choice of smoking or non-smoking, and they have both. Apparently they're assigned at check-in. This could be a major issue for those checking in last. Also, I booked for two nights but had to leave after one. When I told them at the front desk, I didn't ask if the price would change and the clerk didn't say anything. When I checked out, the price showed as $215 instead of $193. I didn't pursue it, but now I'm wondering if my AAA discount got lost. Overall 3/5. Wifi 2/5. Value 3/5. Overall would have been 5/5 if the internet worked.

The site seemed to be just below a BW Plus designation. Our room was very clean and nice. Maybe even renovated in the last few years. In a major traffic interchange area and was loud outside at times. Motel provided earplugs so must affect all rooms. Staff was very polite and did their job. Breakfast was standard hot fare but was always kept fresh and stocked. Better choices than most motels we have stayed at. My only complaint and probably minor to most guests was the very poor TV signal and picture. We stayed in the room (#320) at nights and we do use the TV. It was a 2013 LG HD TV but still had only a very poor Standard Definition cable signal. It's been many years since I've stayed at any motel without HD TV and never at a BW Plus. The screen aspect was incorrectly set wide and not changeable and all the local channels had static white dots in the picture. Closed Captioning did not work. To me this is totally unacceptable at a BW PLUS in 2018. Staff didn't even understand the concept when I asked but were very nice.

It's a really old motel but at the low end of Best Western standards. Highway noise but convenient bedside earplugs made that a non-issue. Clean but old. Nothing comes close at this price . Convenient access to freeway .

The hotel is very clean. The staff is extremely helpful. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked great. The only drawback is parking is limited in the front of the hotel. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was nice to be close to Bart so we do not have to drink and drive to the stadium. The rooms were very clean and the staff was wonderful.The pool was very clean and the grounds very clean. The breakfast was delicious and we had many options. Plus the internet service worked well for my son.

This was a good stay for everything that happened. The staff w as s great and very helpful. Could not have asked for a better experience for everything that happened that day and the next. They made it feel like you where home and nothing else was around.

Nice hotel everything was good and service was well helpful the beds were comfortable and the rooms had alot of space. Bathrooms were clean and everything worked so i had no problems the only thing is that the cable was basic and should upgarde

Room close to highway....yes, VERY loud if room is on that side. Location was okay, actual hotel seemed worn out. Room was fine, had everything we needed. Breakfast buffet was good, except coffee was empty. Not enough seating. All was fine until a week later when I tried to use my card. I used my card to hold this hotel but paid with another card. When I wanted to pay for another hotel using my card, I found out that this hotel did not release the hold even though I paid with another credit card!!! What hotel keeps a hold on a credit card for 1 whole week?? Is this common? First time I have run into this problem and unfortunately BEST WESTERN is now BAD WESTERN in my book. Never again will I stay at these lower end hotels. They got paid, but would not release the funds on my other card. Unbelievable.

This hotel is a very good value for the area. Lobby and room were very clean and nicely decorated. Hotel staff was great, as you would expect for Best Western, and the hotel is located next to a pretty good restaurant and several fast food places. I don't often stay in Pleasanton, but would definitely consider staying here again if business brings me back to this area.

Bad ventilation. Bad cigarette smell in a non-smoking room. Check out Clerk was unconcerned. Which did not impress me especially since I suffer from asthma and I had been hooked up to my inhaler all night.

We looked for several places to stay in Pleasanton and ended up staying at the BW plus. Room price was not cheap but for the 5 nights we booked the price was the best we could find. We were staying in a room on the east side of the building facing the road that leads to the on ramp for the 680 fwy. In the room there were earplugs on the side table, which says it all! The noise from traffic is just terrible. Early in the morning (530ish) commute traffic starts to increase and it's merely impossible to sleep. In addition we had a cooling-truck stay at the parking lot one night running the cooler all night. In the hotel there were staying lots of construction workers who also start working very early in the morning. That may have been a coincidence and no offense to these hard working people but their work schedules and our rest pattern just didn't line up. After our stay we had one more night in Pleasanton at a different hotel, just 300yrds up the road away from the fwy. No issue with noise there as the rooms are much further tucked away from the main road. Sorry BW. Your location is just terrible in Pleasanton.

There are no extra blankets, pillows are very small. There is a big gap under the door where wildlife can get in, there's a hole in the wall under the sink, and multiple gaps in the air conditioning unit. Tonight when we were about to go to bed, I walk into the bathroom and there is a giant spider in there, thank god my husband killed it for me. I have no idea what kind it was but there is currently a bath towel shoved under the door so hopefully no more get in. Breakfast is complimentary and is ok, but nothing to write home about. Front desk staff is friendly, but gets overwhelmed when it's busy. Close to highway so you hear all the cars going by.

I have heard some nasty things about this hotel threw other people,I'm so happy that I don't believe everything people tell you. Scott was very nice and made good conversation.Great stay there and will come back again.

Hot food always ready in the morning with lots of choices. Very clean rooms and comfortable. If your on budget and still want to enjoy your stay, its the place to go. Close to movies and dinning and in a quite area.

Close to shops, restaurants and freeways. You do hear the dull drone of freeway traffic, but it is not bad. The breakfast buffet was nice every morning. On an unrelated note I can't believe I have to type two hundred words for this review to submit.

This was our second time staying at this property. We stay here the night before we need to go to San Francisco for early morning medical appointments that we do not want to be late or miss due to traffic. We use the BART to go into the city and this property is a short distance from the BART station. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is always friendly.

The Best Western Plus Pleasanton Inn was a great motel at Best Western standards, including the breakfast service. It was strategically located and a great value with our AARP membership. We always look for Best Western Motels when we travel on business or for family gatherings.

Located beside a noisy freeway. Rooms are very dark. Staff was friendly, but I had to ask for my room to cleaned and more than one towel. Light bulb was out in one of the desk lights but even with all lights on still very dark. Did not feel safe in the neighborhood with rooms open to exterior( no interior hallways). People walking audibly past your rooms at all hours.

Staff was very courtious and friendly, room was very clean, within walking distance to some restaurants, close to a BART Station, breakfast items were simple and fresh, I would highly reccomend staying here

This hotel is clean and very convenient. Rooms are updated and have all the amenities. In room coffee was not good at all, but downstairs in the breakfast area it's much better. We didn't do the breakfast, but it looked good. This BW is situated right by the freeway and even though the road sounds didn't bother us, they do provide a packet of earplugs just in case. Nice touch. Easy check in/out and friendly employees. I definately recommend.

The hotel is on the highway. It is so noisy, that they give you ear plugs. As a result, the sleep quality is poor. I told my company to remove this hotel from the list of possible hotels in Pleasanton. On the good side, the wifi is okay, and the rooms are clean. I guess you can come if you have a hearing problems.

Reviews are pretty accurate. Hotel was decent. Three coworkers and I stayed here for a week. Phones in the rooms didn't work, my bathtub plug didn't work, my partner had to change rooms because his fire alarm kept randomly going off, we were booked in king rooms and given double queens, people on our floor were smoking outside of their rooms, walls are thin and they give your earplugs for a reason. Breakfast was decent: waffles, bread, scrambled and hardboiled eggs, fruit basket, hot and cold cereal, bacon or sausage, and juice. Overall it wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't stay here for a week again.

Booked a package (air+hotel+car) through Priceline with a reservation confirmation. The Air and Car portion went without a hitch. Upon arrival at BW the front desk had our paper work right on top like she was ready to go. When she attempted to process the reservation she started having a problem. She tried several times and said the 'card' was not going through. I called Priceline and asked them to contact the desk which they did through the 3rd party reservation company they used. The claim was that the card (not mine the 3rd party company) was not going through? I asked to speak with the manager. The front desk called the manager and after a few minutes she handed the phone to me. I told her I had just flown in after an 8 hour flight and had been in the lobby on the phone for an hour and had a funeral to attend and if she could just put my wife and I in a room tonight they (Priceline and BW) could work it out in the morning. The manager said it was against protocol to do that. I said I understand but with the situation I really didn't have another option. She stuck to her guns and said no and sorry you're stuck in the middle of it but she could not accommodate us unless we wanted to use our own credit card. That was not an option I was willing to deal with and slid the phone back to the desk clerk and stormed out. I called Priceline back and they said they would attempt to try and clear it up. After being on hold for 20 minutes Priceline said BW was unable to complete the reservation. I was booked at La Quinta across the freeway and when we arrived the front desk said welcome here is your room key and we were set. I asked if there was more to it since we had a problem at BW and she said, "No it's a prepaid reservation, they're easy"!... My wife and I laughed as we went to our room. I understand there are rules to be followed but telling a customer sorry for the sake of protocol, in my opinion, is very poor customer service.

Check-in and out was nice and quick. Road noise was the real negative. Position of the hotel is too close to the freeway, but very close the job site for which I was staying for. Rooms are average, but very functional. Price is nice for the area.

Truck parking is in the cul-de-sac in front of the hotel & is very limited ( 2 trucks maybe)--so call ahead. Appreciated having a smoking room & it was extremely clean. Our room was in the back & you can hear the freeway a bit, but we slept well. They do provide earplugs if needed. Breakfast was great, alot of hot/cold options & fresh fruit & breakfast burritos. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a nice place. Clean and quiet considering it is next to 580, a busy freeway. All amenities I needed, staff was professional and friendly, rooms were quiet and comfortable,decent coffee and breakfast.

We stayed here purely because it was close to where we needed to be. On arrival the woman behind reception was busy chatting to a guy who seemed to be there in the evenings just to chat to her. She really wasnt very friendly to us at all, however she was the exception, all the other staff we encountered, breakfast and the cleaners also were very friendly and helpful. The pool really didnt look that clean so we didnt bother, we saw cats drinking out of it at nights! There seemed to be loads of them wandering around. The hotel was quite noisy but it really didnt bother us that much. The room was nice enough and the breakfast was outstanding, really good choice of foods and all tasted lovely.

The facility was conveniently located near the freeway but the noise didn't significantly interfere with our sleep. The staff was efficient, both behind the counter and in the breakfast area. The biggest annoyance was that the fire alarm went off twice while we were getting dressed in the morning. The front desk was responsive and apologetic but couldn't explain what had happened.

People stomping around all night didn't get any sleep I was here for one night on business. Made my work day extremely long and very exhausting. Also rodents in the walls chewing on this all night. People partying in rooms I continued to call staff and no one did anything. Will never stay here again worst stay ever

This hotel was clean, affordable, and had great service. The front desk agent turned the game on for us in the lobby after check out so that we didn't have to go to bar to finish watching it! It is a bit noisy due to the freeway, but earplugs are provided.

The carpets in our room were wet carpets. There was,no map of the hotel at the front desk. There were no complaint cards in the room or at the front desk. The parking was not big enough. We are unable to park our truck and trailer, there was a container in the way. There was also a large dryer drum taking up parking in the lot. I left a "Do Not Disturb" sign at the front desk and my room was entered anyway. I feel my privacy was invaded. I did not appreciate this.

Exceptionally professional staff always makes staying at this property a reassuring experience for the business traveler. Having zero internet problems as compared to some properties that do not utiize a reliable provider is one of the single greatest values when time equals money. Special requests are filled without issue. Very easy on and off access to the 580/680 corridors with a decent variety of quality food offerings within 5 minutes in any direction. Overall safe and secure environment. For the $125/night and under comparatives, it is the best value in the area and exceeds that value when compared to other properties that are priced higher.

Average hotel overall in terms of room, etc. Very clean, a little small. There was some construction going on, but it didn't effect our stay. I'm going out of my way to post because of the staff: they were very friendly and helpful and as someone who stays at hotels a lot, they made me want to use this one again. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who checked us in, because she was great.

Nice hotel with good parking. It looks like they are doing some upgrading, as there was construction to the stairs, etc. Rooms are clean and breakfast was good. My bed was worn out so sleeping was difficult.

This hotel is convenient for me when visiting family and less expensive than other options in the general area. My room was very clean, and the bed very comfortable. The only problem is the noise from the freeway which I was aware of ahead of time, it's a pretty steady hum. Not sure that any rooms are really better than others in this regard. The hotel provides ear plugs.

Slow check in, not enough staff at check in. Slow to no wifi, bathtub backed up (yuck). Loud music past midnight and every time we called the front desk the call would be picked up then hung up on. There are many other hotels for the same cost with better service.

Hotel was clean and location to various areas overall was good. But the actual proximity to a highway made traffic noise unbearable for sleeping. Has a pool, but not enjoyable to view and listen to traffic.

This location was a great value and well worth it. The staff was very friendly. I only stayed overnight one night, but it was very comfortable. The room was nice and had everything I needed. Breakfast left a bit to be desired, but I did have a waffle with blueberry syrup which was delicious. Overall I probably would go back for a quick weekend get away.

I would highly recommend this Best Western. Great location with great extras. I really liked the continuous fan setting on the air conditioner unit. Easy access to downtown Pleasanton for dinner, Enjoyed my stay.

I HAVE TO BE HONEST WHEN I GAVE MY FEEDBACK the worst stay i have ever been for one night and checked in late as well, flies in the room, heavy smoked as i always requested for a non smoking room, i was coughing all night did get enough rest. conveyed to the guy who checked me in named michael, he just shrugged his shoulders..soo i said alright he won't do anything so here i am THE WORST BW EVER.

Value for money, including breakfast and no resort fees. Clean rooms, nearby shopping outlets and just 40 minutes away from San Francisco. Friendly staff. Will book Best Western hotels from now on. Quiet neighborhood and safe.

Very nice pool, excellent beds, A/C worked perfectly (and it was 112 outside). Just a nice average Best Western. Normal breakfast of waffles, cereals, milk, coffee, juice, etc. They also had eggs and sausage one day and eggs with bacon the second day. I made a breakfast sandwich with the muffins or bagels.

I went to the hotel with my wife for vacations for 10 days. We went there to visit the whole area including San Francisco, Napa and other nearby tourist spots. We choose this hotel for its good location and price. You could think it is too far from San Francisco, but the BART (metro) service is excellent ($6.50 each way). The BART station is 3 blocks away (10 minutes walking) from the hotel, with excellent service to San Francisco from 5AM til midnight. There are restaurants at walking distance and large shopping malls at 10 minutes by car. We got the Clipper card which can be used in the BART, Muni buses, trams and the cable car. We got it at Walmart and recharged it many times at the station. It is very easy to use. We never used our car to go to San Francisco. Public transportation is quite good and allow us to relax and enjoy the California wine without the risk of driving. Room had coffee maker that we didn't use because there was coffee always available at the lobby. Room also has a small fridge and microwave oven. The room was always clean. Breakfast was great including everything from juices to eggs and burritos. Hotel employees were always friendly and helpful.

GM ignored my email regarding possible room entry violation. Rude unhelpful staff. Proximity to freeway makes the room unbearably loud. Found a birth control pill on my floor upon entry. Plenty other hotels in the area, don't stay here.

This hotel is very close to the freeway and not sound insulated. Rooms need to be upgraded, décor is dated. Not worth the cost. The breakfast is decent and most of the staff are friendly. Housekeeping needs a bit of work; second day I was there they forgot to refresh the toiletries. They also booked me into a smoking room and I ended up in alternative room with two queens instead of a king bed.

The Best Western Plus Pleasanton Inn was a perfect stop on a business trip to the Pleasanton/Dublin, CA area. The rooms were fresh and clean and the staff was very helpful when I had accidentally booked a smoking room and am not a smoker. They had a nice continental breakfast with make-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon, juice, pastries and muffins, yogurt, and even frozen breakfast burritos you could microwave in the lobby or in your room. (Our room had a mini-fridge and a microwave.) If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the front side of the hotel. The back side is right next to the freeway, but it honestly didn't bother me or my husband at all. The hotel must've thought about this because they provided free ear plugs. :) Finally, if you've got more than one suitcase, you might want to ask for a ground-floor room. No elevators, but I got my work-out in climbing up to the third floor!

We stay at this hotel at least once a year. The personnel and service is very good. The hotel has recently had some upgrades which makes it a good value for the area. The rooms are clean and the addition of a fitness center is a nice touch.

Location is right off the freeway. Very noisy. How noisy?? They have ear plugs waiting for you on the night stands in the rooms when you check in! Air conditioning unit also very loud when it comes on.

Everything was fine. Even though it was very close to the Interstate, the noise wasn't too bad. We were on the front...the back may have been a bit noisier. Like that you can walk to the BART station. Also a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

This hotel is a pretty good value. Good location, about 45 minutes from San Francisco and 1 1/2 hours from Santa Cruz. The hotel is close to the freeway and also near the BART station. Many good restaurants in Pleasanton, so we had plenty of options for meals. Also, as runners, it was nice to have a park about a mile away that we could run at. Overall, our stay was good. My only complaints are, the internet was slow and the swimming pool was pretty dirty.

The Hotel was clean and the room and bed were very comfy (lumpy pillows though). The downside was that we were on the back side of the Inn (because we had a pet) and this was on the Fwy side. The room had good windows and was quiet so the Fwy noise really was not an issue. The most noise we had was from running the A/C unit. We stayed in July and it was hot so the A/C was necessary.

Clean, comfortable. Friendly service, Quiet inside room despite adjacent to highways.Internet difficult to connect to and inconsistent signal. Small eating area; typical food fare. Pool area lacking privacy. Rate, over $200, was too high for a Best Western motel, especially for this area in the bay area.

I stayed here while in town for a training session, and was very happy with the hotel and the service. The room was VERY clean and well appointed, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The property itself is very well maintained and conveniently laid out. The workout room is small, but very clean and the equipment functions perfectly. The complimentary breakfast was quite tasty. The front desk clerk was EXTREMELY helpful, professional and courteous. She got me exactly the room I wanted, recommended a(perfect) restaurant, told me where to stock up for the evening, etc... very helpful. Pleasanton is going to be a regular stop for me now, and this will be my hotel of choice when I am in town. Keep up the good work.

I am not for fancy hotel amenities, but my opinion, better than expected for a "Motel". Location was central for my purpose visiting family and friends within the area. Easy access to freeways to get where you want to go.

Best attitude from staff and owners that you will find at a BW property. If you secure lodging around the $110/night area, this is a good value. For business in the Tri Valley, exceptionally easy on-easy off Interstate access but beware of commuter traffic times and perhaps use altenative back road options. Improvements and upgrades being made during this stay. Will look forward to any positive changes that will enhance any future stays.

Nothing out of the ordinary, but we were comfortable. It was difficult to regulate the air conditioning. The iron and board was convenient for touch ups. The breakfast was average and there was not enough seating. We ate in the Lobby.

Not impress, need to add bigger dining room for more guest, need more waffle irons so less wait time and so food doesn't get cold while waiting in lines. The lines were longer than the amount of room to sit down and eat.

Old town main street is about 4 miles from this hotel. Really neat shopping area and restaurants. Found one place called Beer Bar that was really good. Don't let the name fool you. they had a outstanding selection of bourbons.

Nice hotel. Kind of hard to find by car. It is located right across from a Mercedes dealership. Close walk to the BART train stop. This makes it really nice to get to Oakland or San Francisco. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast looks good and the staff is friendly. All the hotels in this area are kind of pricey. I would recommend this hotel.

The issues I had were very few. For the money, this BW was great. Though they displayed no organics, they did have a big selection of breakfast foods to choose from. Fitness room was clean and well-maintained; they had an outdoor elevator, and even a clean pool....I'll definitely stay there again.

The good: location is close to dining and shopping, BART station is next door. Not-so-good: hotel is dated, our initial room assigned was not made up, and the second room had hairs in the bathroom from the prior guest (s). There are probably better options out there!

Rooms are clean. They were remodeling some of the rooms, so they are keeping up the rooms. Front desk was very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was good and breakfast hosts were very helpful. Internet work perfectly fine. I would stay here again.

We have stayed several times at Best Western Pleasanton It is the only place we will stay. it is close to Oakland, but not in Oakland. Easy access from the freeway. We just love it there. People that work there are very friendly.

Booked hotel not knowing of the proximity of very busy freeway. Non stop noise throughout the night made it impossible to sleep. This was the reason we booked hotel as we were traveling. Hotel should have ear plugs available or change out windows to assist with sound proof rooms. Will not recommend stay at this hotel.

The bed was very comfortable and pillows where great. Had a small fridge and microwave which I didn't use but it was nice. The bathroom amenities were tight but for one person stay I would recommend. Close to freeway.

staff was not friendly when encountering around the grounds. In fact when I arrived, there was work being done in a room near mine and I had to wait for them to move tools and stuff in order to get to mine. It seemed like I as the one in the way.

good location but the hotel still needs to work on customer service. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. the hotel has apparently a scary homeless guy walking around at night, we have been told " he is harmless, he belongs to this place..."

This property is right next to the 580 therefore very noisy. The hotel/parking lot were inside a chain link fence and poorly lite. The layout of the room required that anyone using the sink or closet had to leave the area for anyone to access the bathroom. The decor and bed were good as well as the breakfast.

our first time staying at this best western. the place was super clean and they gave us all our special requests. the breakfast is superb. the rooms are felt like brand new and the beds are super comfy. this is a great hotel to stay at and the location was perfect. you are also close to different places to eat also.

Pros: * Front desk: Were nice about getting me a room close to the elevator/stairs when I asked * Breakfast: Though it's the same every day, it's still good quality and clean * Price: Better than most nearby * Location: Near my office, and near a lot of restaurants and stores Cons: * Motel setup: I'm not a fan of doors that open directly to the parking lot; that's a motel setup, not a hotel setup, and not what I'm used to when staying at Best Western in other locations * Upkeep of the place: Marks on the outside walls, rips/tears in interior wallpaper, discolored grout in the bathroom flooring, etc. They're not doing a great job of keeping the location looking its best * Toilet and handyman: Toilet overflowed when a guest flushed. Front desk was quick to get someone up to check it out and fix, but the handyman's frequent flushings caused the toilet to overflow poopy water on the floor. Handyman cleaned up the water with towels after fixing, but didn't mop or spray cleaner on the floor. Yuck! * Traffic noise: You're right off a major road and a freeway, and you can hear it all. I'm 50/50 on whether I will stay here again.

We travel for dog shows. Best Western is one of few that are pet friendly.This particular Best Western is one of the nicest and friendliest I have stayed in to date.easy access to freeway, places to eat and shopping. plus it is near a bart station for those that would like to go into San Francisco

This morning during shower I found a scorpio in our bathroom. Our room was nice, breakfast tasty, but scorpio - thats not nice, thats dangerous. We will never choose this place again. I dont think its safe, especially when a receptionist told us thats its not their fault.

Awesome staff, quiet, clean, and great breakfast. Bart station within walking distance. Will stay again! Stayed here for the Raiders game two nights with my pregnant wife and it more than exceeded our expectations.

This hotel is good and in a good location. Bit dated but staff makes up for it. Staying an extra couple of hours as our flight home was in the evening was no problem. Linda who was in charge of the breakfast made sure that everything was spotless and replenished. 40 people had been in before us for breakfast and it looked as if we were the first ones that morning. So well done to her and the lady at reception whose name I don't know.

I was NOT happy at this motel. Stayed 2 nights for a family member to have surgery at a nearby hospital. My mom needed a shower cap so I called the front desk since the only articles in our room were 2 small bars of soap, one small shampoo and two small hair conditioners. I was informed they did not provide shower caps and didn't have any. (Even cheap, discount motels have shower caps! ) There are 9 other reasons I was not happy at this motel. Definitely not a Best Western "PLUS". Would not recommend and would NEVER stay there again.

I've been moving from hotel to hotel found a good deal at bwestern room is clean but need to deep clean in smoking rooms nice pool although the spa is closed the font desk is the best so helpful I will return if needed

Overall very well pleased. Clean, well located, good service, good price. Would definitely stay here again. Very close to BART and was able to take it into the city to see a Giants game. Right off the freeway for easy access.

I stay here every year for the Scottish Highland games, and this is a prefect place to relax after a long day of bagpipe music. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, and the price is very good. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is enjoyable and a good way to start the day. I will be making next years' reservations soon.

Normally i am very pleased with Best Western Plus properties but this hotel is not very representative of that title for the following reasons: 1-location of hotel is hidden. Hardly anyone was staying at the hotel and it felt unsafe. 2-Staff was ok but there were opportunities in the service they provided. 3-i was very disappointed with my room. Phone and Fridge did not work. Carpet was dirty.

This hotel, although conveniently situated for the BART had no other redeeming features. A power failure effected EVERYTHING. The swimming pool was out of order too. This has soured our experience an effected how we viewed this hotel. Poor value.

This room was a little dated and small, but it worked fine for us. This is a Pet Friendly hotel, which is why we stayed here. They had a microwave and a refrigerator. The breakfast was really good here. You need to use your room key to get ice from the machine, which is the first time we have saw this.

I recently had need to attend a militaria show at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA. I had thought about staying at the host hotel, but all rooms were booked. So, as usual, I stayed at a nearby Best Western motel. Although the motel is ideally situated near both the fairgrounds (about ten minutes away), has numerous restaurants nearby and is close (perhaps too close due to noise) to both the 680 and 580 freeways, I have to find fault with this BW due to several problems I encountered during my stay. First, although I requested a ground floor room, when I arrived to check in at a little after 5 PM, I was informed that no ground floor rooms were available and that my room would be on the top floor (third floor). I was too tired to argue the point and kept my grievance to myself. Secondly, in using the internet service, I noticed that it only remained connected for about an hour if not in constant use, thereby necessitating the re-entry of the username and password multiple times, which was repetitious, tedious and a nuisance. Surely they could set up to remain connected for at least a 24-hour period, as most hotels. motels do. Lastly, the entire motel only had ONE baggage cart to serve all the guest rooms, which probably number close to 100. I was lucky to get it in my move-in, but when I checked out on Sunday, there was NO baggage cart to be found, thereby necessitating multiple trips from my room to my car via the slow elevator from the third floor. To the good was the responsiveness of the desk staff and custodian to a report I made regarding the slow drainage from my shower/tub. It was draining properly by my return later that same day. Also, the room was very spacious and well-laid out. In summary, good location, but multiple irritating problems, which should be easily solved if they put their mind to it.

Works well for my Business travel, good location and access to freeways, enough restaurants in the area to have choices. Good pillows. Be selective on the room if possible Freeway is close and loud. Breakfast starts at 6:30 so I didn't have access to the breakfast options since I leave before 6am

I was surprised at how clean our hotel room was. The only downside was that we were facing the expressway so it was too loud to keep our window open at night. We took the BART in from San Fran/Oakland and it was only a 5-10 min walk from the hotel to get to the station. You could actually see the station from the room we were in. Breakfast was a decent selection.

Hotel was old, run down, right by the freeway and had a pathetic breakfast. I can't really think of anything nice to say about it and will not stay here again. Not sure why it was a Best Western Plus, because it was more like a Motel Six quality.

My stay was great from when I checked in right up to check out. Everyone was very nice and my room was great. Size was fine, clean, bed was comfortable, TV midsize, Fridge a little bigger than most, microwave, good WIFI, full free breakfast, close to freeway but the noise isn't bad and there is plenty of free parking. I felt safe and was happy with my accommodations.

Here is what you need to know: Safe hotel and area, clean room, good wifi, free breakfast (waffle machine (yay)), free parking, good service. There is a pool and spa area. I would certainly stay here again. We stayed overnight traveling from Yosemite to San Francisco (roadtrip). There is many places to eat. I think i did't like, is that i still haven't got my deposit back even though they said they released it, when we check out. The freeway didn't make any problems, and if you do get a room that is noisy, by some earplugs. The must important thing for me is the safety, no noise and cleaness which was good at this hotel! I recommend this hotel, if you are on a roadtrip. It takes 1 hour with no traffic to San Francisco.

We stayed here while visiting San Francisco. With a very friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is located near Interstate 580 and near the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, which made getting around easy! In addition to the courteous staff, the place is well maintained and secure. Super clean rooms, super fast free Wi-Fi, overall great stay!

The room was clean. We asked for a room away from the freeway and they did their best to accommodate us. The staff was very helpful. The freeway was almost next door, once I hit the pillow I slept very well and didn't hear any noise at all. If you book through Priceline call the hotel afterwards to make sure you get a smoke free or pet free room. Also if you have a hotel card your points may have to be requested afterwards. The breakfast was good. They had scrambled eggs , sausage , waffles, juices , fruit and coffee and tea. The hotel is good for sports teams as well as couples.

This is an older exterior entrance building. They are taking strives to maintain the property as they were power washing and painting during my visit. The windows block out a lot of the freeway noise but the noise does come through the door. The rooms are a typical size for a building this age. Overall I nice place to stay for a reasonable price. Breakfast is a typical for this level of hotel.

The staff and the accommodations were excellent. Hotel was clean and up-to date. They were repainting the outside while we were there. Beds were comfortable; microwave and refrigerators worked well. Breakfast was great with hot scrabbled eggs & bacon, as well as the waffles my kids love. They had fruit and chocolate chips for the waffles - nice treat. Staff was very friendly and accommodating by moving rooms so children could be right next door. The ONLY issue is something that the hotel has no control over and that is the noise from 580. We did notice that one room seemed to have better sealing and thus less noise through the door than the other. There was little noise coming through the windows. Something the management may want to consider in their next renovation. We used to live in Pleasanton, and this will probably be our home base for visiting our friends and family there. Great location and price for the Tri-Valley.

Best Western is the least expensive of the quality hotels in Pleasanton, CA. I would definitely recommend staying there as I will again. The service is excellent and the food and rooms are very good. I was in and out quickly without an issue.

We came to Pleasanton for a family event. Some family members went to the Doubletree we came here. The free breakfast was everything we expected and the atmosphere was very nice, friendly people tending to the buffet. The landscaping around the hotel was horrible (I realize there is a drought going on but a little more care taking at the entrance wouldn't hurt), the pool looked kind of messy (a little skimming off the leaves wouldn't take much), and the room was tiny and cramped. On the last day there no one made up the room which made it even stuffier and unpleasant. Our other family members got a better rate at the Doubletree and enjoyed peaceful evenings by the fire for the same nights we were there. Breakfast top notch as would be expected from Best Western.

I tagged along with my husband on a business trip recently, and this is where we stayed. It's a pretty easy drive into SF from here took us about an hour. There are lots of places to eat, I chose "Gotta Eata Pita," which I really enjoyed! The room is clean and basic, wifi was difficult at times, wouldn't even send an email unless we went to the hotel "business center." This was a deal breaker for my husband who has stayed here 2 other times, and said he wouldn't book a room here again just for that reason (business trip, lots of emails). Would've been nice to know they were painting the whole outside during our stay. and apparently my room had the water spicket on the outside, so was extremely noisy. Coffee was lukewarm (maybe bad timing on my part?) and breakfast was eh. Although, there is a "Specialties" coffee shop nearby that was a good choice. This was right over the road from Dublin, we may try that city next time.

Perfect Location to go to the game...take BART...you are there. Very comfy and clean and affordable. The staff were helpful and I felt safe as a single woman traveling alone. Breakfast is convenient. I did not have the opportunity to use the pool but it looked clean and inviting...maybe next time! The AC in the room worked very well...;-)

My husband and I have stayed here twice, because we like Best Western and this one is close to Bart that takes us to the Oakland A's and Warriors stadiums. The staff is helpfull, the place is clean, quite despite it's closeness to the freeway and has good breakfasts.

From early check in til we checked out, the accommodations were excellent. I would recommend the Best Western PLUS to all my family. Even though the temperature was 118 degrees, we were very comfortable in our home away from home!

Conveniently located hotel with average rooms and pricing. Rooms on freeway side of hotel somewhat noisy. Easy freeway access with convenient parking. Nearby restaurants, however closest shopping is a few mile away.

Convenient location, close to freeways, food, fuel, and entertainment. Visit Dublin and Stoneridge Mall for shopping. Visit Livermore for excellent restaurants downtown and its many wineries. Pleasnton itself doesn't have much to offer, except the Alameda County Fair in the summer.

The room was average and the staff were very pleasant. I would not stay here again only because its located so close to the freeway. Our room was facing the freeway and we could hear the traffic all night long. I had to use ear plugs to drown the noise.

This is a comfortable quiet place to relax. The breakfast waffle maker is fun to use and the waffles taste great. The people that run the breakfast room do a great job of keeping everything replenished.

I stayed there for 10 days and I can say the hotel staff are supet nice. The only problem was with the toilet, the flush used to clog every day, they changed the toilet seat and we were ok. Oh and if stay for more days you'll get tired of the breakfast, they have waffles, apples, yogurt and sweet breads.

Enjoyed my stay here with for a family get together with family. Check in and check out was fast and easy. Very clean rooms, ice machines on every floor, pool available, plenty of parking for guests, service is great and enjoyed the breakfast. Location is close to freeway, restaurants are close to location and their staff are courteous and helpful.

Great location to Interstate and Bart. Walk to Peets Coffee and Nations Hamburgers, what more could I want? Exterior is a little tired, but rooms were fine and updated. Freeway noise in daytime, but wasn't noticeable later at night . I would stay again.

I decided to stay here because it was close to where I needed to be the next day and the price was reasonable. The people at check-in and check-out were friendly and helpful. the room was clean and comfortable. My only issue was with the breakfast. I need something more than carbs and sugar, but there is a very nice bakery next door that serves breakfast sandwiches and Peet's coffee. There is also a Burger King next door.

Nice accommodation close to major freeway intersections. A little noisy from the freeways. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Parking is not directly close to guest rooms, requiring some walking to access. Breakfast was fair with mostly cold or microwaved offerings.

Very convenient access to any business or pleasure in the immediate Dublin/Pleasanton area including numerous quality food options within only minutes of the property. Hotel staff is one of the best experienced from someone who stays at BW as a first choice when possible. With a decent real hot breakfast (waffles don't count), you won't match the value for the price point in the immediate area.

Good value for the bay where the others --not so much, close to freeway, BART station, food, gas. nice staff.!! I stay all over in expensive hotels, perhaps not the ambiance of others but for business travel, a safe dry place, hot shower, decent free breakfast. Earlier in week in Santa Barbara I paid $30.00 for oatmeal and an orange juice. This place works fine for business stay.

Room was nice and clean...Important.. Outside corridors, bed was very comfortable. Internet was great and fast. No problems there. Breakfast was indeed skimpy. Pastries, cereal and waffles. No eggs, typical lousy hotel coffee. Sorry BW but this should only be a standard BW... Not a BW Plus..

small room but clean. not much protein items for breakfast, pretty much all carb. no cremble eggs, bacon or sausages. Next to the highway, very noisy. had to stay for an event, price was higher than normal. bed too soft, but this is personal preference.

Loved my stay and will continue with the Best Western. I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. The staff are very friendly and had been very supportive. The staff members were kind and offered assistance particularly to us when we new in the area. We felt being cared and looked after.

Good location, good rooms, close to venue that we were attending, easy to find, seemed quite and clean. The hotel personal were nice and very friendly and helpful. Our stay was nice and would recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed during the week and found traffic not to bad on 580 & 680 to get to golf courses in the morning. The room was a good valve for the cost, others wanted 240.00 to in the Bay Area and it was nice to be away from the heaviest of traffic. The room was a little small and the tub needed paint.

The good: Very clean room, nicely furnished, frig and microwave. Staff is VERY friendly and makes sure you are taken care of. Breakfast was fine - nothing to write home about (no eggs/meat; the usual waffles, cereals, breads, juices (bad oj-watery) and coffee The bad: What looked like blood spatters on inside of shower curtain - staff replaced it next day. Rust stains on tub ledge. Dead Lock on door stuck when being opened. The ugly: THE FREEWAY NOISE! (in caps for emphasis) I have stayed at hotels next to freeways many times, but this hotel has single pane windows while other hotels install dual pane windows to cut the noise. The neighboring 580 freeway never slows down, it is a main thoroughfare from central California to the coast. It is busy all.the.time. If you stay here, bring ear plugs. If you forget them, ask at the desk, they have plenty - and they were not surprised by my request, so obviously I was not the first to ask.

The only thing Plus about this Best Western is the price. I stay 100 plus nights a year in hotels mainly Best Western, this place was by far my least favorite Best Western. The freeway noise is extremely loud and the breakfast is below average.

Overall my visit was good. I checked in at night and put some left over Chinese food in my refrigerator. I didn't notice that it wasn't working. It felt cool to the touch at night. The next morning I noticed the fridge wasn't working and threw out my left overs. I wish the breakfast was a little bit healthier. Packaged breakfast burritos and hard boiled eggs are the only protein on the menu. Everything else is carbs.

Right next to the freeway, if you turn on the buzzing air conditioner, some of the noise is drowned out. If you want breakfast...avoid the free packaged buffet and walk through the parking lot to the coffee shop nearby. If you want to sleep... bring a mattress topper or something to place on top of the cement slab they call a bed. If you want to leave the room, open the door then open it again, as opening the door engages the deadbolt and the door wont close. same when coming in from outside. Open door then open again from inside to close it. "It's supposed to be that way" the front desk says..... The tub in our room doesn't drain. but by this point we didn't even bother asking about it. The only thing positive I can say about it.. is it "looks" pretty. It looks comforting and inviting on the surface. The walls and ceiling are nicely painted, nice wallpaper and wall hangings, nice bed coverings. It's pretty. Just not comfortable.

Have all the electrical products work. Have housekeeping make sure the Microwave is plugged in and the Phone cords are plugged in. Keep the refrigerator on a few degrees so that it will be cool for the guests. We have stayed here many times, but this time it was awful.

Lovely room. Too close to Freeway. Hotel is good . Beds are comfy. Breakfast is the usual. Clean and fine to stay in. We just didn't like the noise and very commercial area. The person taking the reservation was not pleasant at all. The staff at check in was great. When checking out and trying to book another stay, the reservationist was fixing herself coffee and left the desk and did not answer when I called for help. I did not see her until I rang the bell. Then she spoke to me.

The staff is and always has been great & helpful. The rooms are always clean and stocked. I love that you get a little frig & the Clock was very nice withe the sound escapes the sea, the creek, my fav with the frogs and the creek sounds. I'm going to see if I cant find one for us.

Rooms were not ready at check-in, and the staff obviously didn't care. When we got into the rooms, they smelled of chemicals, I think form AC units being cleaned right before we were allowed in. Breakfast wasn't great - left me with mild indigestion.

1. So noisy that jetway-style ear protection is recommended. 2. Doesn't matter if you reserved a non-smoking room, they'll put you in a smoking room. 3. Staff clearly doesn't give a rip. 4. There are other places to stay in the area. Stay at one of them.

This hotel is located just outside of San Fransisco. There is a train station 5 minutes walk away. The train is called BARTS and it takes you straight into San Fransisco for around $12. Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable, and the free complimentary breakfast included cereals, toast, pastries to name a few, as well as tea and coffee, was more than enough for us.

our stay was very nice...However our last night we had an issue with the door... the MOD tried to fix it but could not... we had to put up a chair to keep it shut for the night.... We were offered another room, but we knew we would be leaving early in the morning. The Hotel manager, whose name was Tim, was very nice and very professional. He was sympathetic with what happened and offered us 50% of our room rate for that night. Our stay of four nights was nice and yes we would return back to this hotel. The staff was very very nice and down to earth as well as professional. The room was clean and ready for our arrival...

This BW's manager, Tim, is a top-of-the-line hospitality manager and will make your stay the best it can be. He is knowledgeable about customer wants and needs and he and his excellent and cooperative staff will do their best to accommodate you. He is a gem, and that makes this BW the place to stay when you're visiting California's Bay Area.

The bed was comfortable, and extra pillows were provided. Nice sized room. Very friendly breakfast staff. The employee went out of her way to answer questions and help with the waffle maker. Convenient to downtown Pleasanton, with easy freeway access.

I am a BW Rewards member and stay only at BW motels when available, I expected more from a BW PLUS motel. As others have mentioned, the breakfast offering was certainly nothing special. I found a dirty towel in the closet area and took it to the front desk, saying it was not my doing, since I had been told they would check the room to make sure everything was intact before refunding my deposit. There were no tea bags in the room, but that really didn't matter since even though the coffee/tea machine was there, there was no carafe to make it useful. The outside walkways were quite dirty and needed to be mopped or steam cleaned. There was a lot of traffic noise, but luckily we had a room on the west side, and once the door was closed, it was quite quiet inside. We were there only to have a place to sleep, at a Best Western, before continuing on our way the next morning, so it was sufficient, but I had expected more and was rather disappointed that I had chosen this BW PLUS motel.

Although their rates have gone up quite a bit, and thus priced me out of that market for most stays (I'm on pension), I stay at a BW at least once a year - it is a luxury, and worth that extra cost. I also used to travel extensively for the Space Agency, staying in motels about 150-160 nights a year. Best Western was always the best of the motels. I personally prefer to park next to my room door - and I could do that at this motel. It was a major factor in choosing it. Also, by driving a few miles I was able to book a room there for a rate within my ability to pay. It's also close to good restaurants, right on the Interstate (but quiet), and all-in-all a good place to stay.

It s really a reasonable deal. For customer to stay in Best Western Plus location at Pleasanton Inn. They provide you nice breakfast, all the staff good service and comfortable bed and pillow. Over all I'll HIGHLY RECOMMEND to pick. GOOD JOB PLEASANTON INN keep going. I'll be back on Spring Break!

When you make your reservation, ask for a quieter room, which is on the west side and near the back of the complex. I agree with the many complaints of poor selection of breakfast foods. Staff was friendly and helpful.

dont judge this spot by the outside. its much better inside than you would think, the rooms were not what we expected from seeing the outside. the room was nice and comfortable. Thanks to the bakery next door we had good breakfast each day.

Stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was just ok. It is an older property and the rooms have been updated, but still just so-so. Continental breakfast was included and it was not good. The pastries were packaged and the fruit consisted of oranges and apples. Limited varieties of toast. Waffles were the best bet. The hotel is pet-friendly which is why we chose it. Next time we will try another place.

Except for the morning highway noice and a breakfast offering that leaves room for desire, this property is worth the price point when compared to other offerings in the immediate area and it is a pleasure to encounter a hotel staff where every person you interact with is treating you like a 5 star guest!

Stayed six days and very satisfied with cleanliness, location, staff and cost. My only complaint (and a minor inconvenience) would be the fact that I had to keep entering the user name and password everyday. You'd think that once it is entered, the device would just be automatic ( which it always does load immediately) but not here! During my six day stay, I've had to re-enter it numerous times which is an annoyance.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in March of 2015. We enjoyed the convenience, cost, accommodations, and staff a great deal, and decided to stay again in November of 2015; this time we stayed a full week. We'll be back.

Not really poor, but below average! Breakfast was all carbo-hydrates; no meat or eggs. After the first day, we went out to eat and paid for it! Second day I reported faucet leaked onto the floor, but it was not repaired. Cleanliness was sub-par

Great night! Room was extremely clean and very beautiful! The moment we walked in we couldn't believe how gorgeous the room was. Everything was perfect. Front desk staff was very pleasant and friendly both at check in and check out. Will be visiting again!

The Best Western in Pleasanton was a great option with the over priced locations in the area. The room was clean and had everything you will need. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable, but there is a "Starbucks" like coffee shop just next door. Easy access to the highway, but try and get a room in the back to avoid some of the noise.

After staying at The Tree House in Shasta I figured the Pleasanton Inn would be comparable. NOT. They had no ADA rooms. On arrival in our room it was clear that a complete cleaning was not done after the last tenant. There was no TV guide, no extra blankets. It was really bare bones and showed a lot of aging. The hot tub was dirty enough that we would not use it. Continental breakfast was sub par. We will not stay there again.

This hotel meet our needs. Just a one night stay for business. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. The only thing I was not too pleased about was breakfast. I thought there were going to be hot food items. But there was only waffles and frozen burritos. The hostess (Linda) made up for it though. She is a very sweet lady. I would stay again.

We had a very comfortable stay. It was right off the freeway and next to restaurant and coffee shop and the movie theater is close by if you like IMAX. We will defiantly be staying again in the very near future.

This was clean, nice, reasonably priced as compared to others in the area, even though it was not cheap. Nice location and has breakfast included. The people are friendly there and helpful. located not to far from the fwy.

Cheaply built hotel. We were kept awake until late and woken up again at 4am until they left at 7am by the people about us. This experience, I hope, can't possibly be the norm but know that you will hear every contact with the floor above. Top floor only... Good luck otherwise. Room decor and staff nice though. If you like a hard bed you will be disappointed but soft bed lovers will be happy. Great little Mexican food place right near the hotel.

I stayed here for three days and my experience was quite ok. The check in staff were courteous and did their part to ensure a smooth check in. The room was good and cozy. Bed was comfortable. The surroundings were neat. Couple of strip malls nearby having most of the top fast food places. Overall, good.

Room was decent, but definitely less than "PLUS" quality. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, breakfast was another story. I think the worst breakfast I've ever seen at a Best Western, or for that matter, even lesser hotels. Selection was extremely limited, I mean, come on, not even bagels?

Our family was meeting together at Pleasanton so we booked our room at the Pleasanton Best Western. Since we booked online and early our check in was painless and efficient. Room appeared to have been updated recently and was clean, well lit and decorated nicely. Our room was on the second floor and very quiet and the wifi was great

Stayed for business, overall clean basic hotel in the right area. Stayed before. No frills, bed is fine, good location. Outside looks a bit run down but its OK. Pretty reasonable price for the area. Might not stay again unless not better option.

It s a motel not hotel. Breakfast is so cheap, better to choose Holiday Inn for the same price. Better service and providing all bath supplies even tooth brush and toothpaste. The interior in Best Western is so bad need to repaint in side and outside of the building
