Best Western Plus Plattsburgh

We stayed Monday 28, 2024. The room was a 2 double bed. The was pleasant enough and was generally clean but there were some issues: The reclining chair was broken and had a large stain on the footrest, the light switch plate looked questionable but I didn't want to touch because looked unsafe and the bathtub was quite dirty. I have photos.

The hotel is situated off the highway and close to the mall for easy access . There's a small but well equipped gym and a nice size indoor pool for the kids to use. The free breakfast had many different items to choose from. The rooms and the bed seemed worn . Also then hotel seems to be a collection of 2 story buildings making walking to amenities a little confusing. The hotel is a good place to stay overnight and a nice place for young families.

This hotel has a convenient location close to lots of shopping and restaurants. The amenities like the indoor pool and the small games room and fitness center along with the super free breakfast and attached restaurant allows for a fun stay. Room rates are more than fair. Rooms are clean but are lookin a little tired and could use an update.

Over the years, my family and I have stayed at the Best Western in Plattsburgh about 15 times. We have always been completely satisfied. My wife and I look forward to our trips to Plattsburgh in large part because we know that we'll be staying at the Best Western.

Great location Close to the big malls Clean Safe Staff is ok. Not super friendly but they do the job………. Nicer than we anticipated! Great parking and outdoor patio Ice machine and close to the local good restaurants Great value! Will return!

Checked into the Best Western in Plattsburgh NY while waiting for a load, I'm a truck driver. It was very cold, single digits cold with some wind chill. The hotel was nice and warm. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was very hot. Breakfast had several good options to choose from. The business center was awesome as I needed to print some emails out. I will visit this Best Western anytime in in Plattsburgh. Highly recommended!

Asked for 2 rooms. Put them on separate floors when asked to have them near each other. Manager refused to assist when I called them. There was a boiler issue and would have liked notification ahead of time .when I called to ask for assistance was told I should be happy rooms have heat and hot water

Our stay during the holidays was amazing. I highly recommend staying with best western Plattsburgh NY. The food was great. The service was amazing. The rooms are spacious and nice and clean. Anything we needed we got. Thank you very much. We definitely will be back for future stays.

We booked a great hotel in plattsburgh with best western.our room was beyond what we expected it to be.very clean large room with plenty of ammenities.no doubt we will book the same hotel next time in plattsburgh.although we didnt get a chance to use it this time the indoor pool was looking very tempting.which is on our next time list.overall very great hotel

The staff is very polite and it is very convenient to have the 99 restaurant attached to the hotel. I will utilize the facility again the next time I am in the area. I have yet to have a bad experience. That is why I retrun.

The room was ready for us earlier than expected . It was clean and spacious . The free breakfast was the best I've had. The eating area was clean , the staff was accommodating and the food was fresh and tasty. There was a huge variety to choose to choose from as far as a free breakfast . The pool was clean and large with arcade games available .

decent budget hotel at not a budget price. . rooms were comfy and well-appointed with toiletries etc. The curtains were nice.. Was woken up at 830am (was up late working) by a dog barking then a child shrieking in what felt like was right next to me. Very thin walls.. But if that didn't happen, would have been fine.. So be aware this is a dog-friendly hotel. Also took a few panicky minutes to find the late night clerk to check me in..

This hotel is enormous. Walking around from one wing to another reveals the scale. The amenities it has are all well done. The carpets and overall fit and finish of the hotel are all very high for a mid-level hotel. You won't find some sorry 10 year old treadmill and a cheap set of weights passing for a fitness center. The fitness center is large and not cluttered and has about 4 different cardio type machines along with a multi-purpose resistance machine, free weights and a bench etc. The pool area is beautiful with exposed wooden beams and lots of space. It was quite stuffy and humid in there which isn't ideal but the pool area and all the associated furniture looked great. There is a business center which looked useful and well cared for but we didn't use it. A small guest laundry is also available. Service wise, our front desk interactions were very good and even well past dark there were multiple people manning the desk which made it easy to ask for an extra pillow etc wihtout waiting in line or wating a long time for somebody to find time to respond. Our room was serviced early in the day on our 2nd day which is a rare feat these days, much appreciated. So often we either get no service on 2nd day or they come at 4 or 5 pm by which time we're often back in the room and have to go away or pass on the service call. Basically, everything the hotel offered was not just a check list item but a really well executed amenity. There is one obvious thing this hotel doesn't have and that's a hot tub or sauna. It is basically attached to a 99's restaurant which is adequate but I don't think that is open for breakfast. The hotel provides a breakfast but we didn't even look to see how it was, they aren't usually very exciting. Several other eateries including 'Indian Grill' were a very short walk away as is a convenience store. This would be a great location for a conference or convention and no aspect of the hotel seemed anything less than very good.

It was pleasantly quite despite the fact that BW was fully booked. Toilet had unpleasant staining in the bowl and the bathtub caulking is moldy. A/C and TV worked as expected. The beds were comfortable but the pillows are small and quite thin. The in room coffee was excellent and the fridge worked marvelously! Would stay again.

The property is well kept and the staff are very accommodating and are always willing to answer questions to the best of their knowledge. They also were able to provide local knowledge of the area to refer me to stores that I inquired about within the town and offered suggestions as well.

Awesome hotel with a cool room for the kids with the patio door opening right by the inside pool. I feared it would maybe smell chlorine but no. Everything is super clean but mostly awesome staff. There was some bug with the website when I did the reservation which doubled it. Veronica and the manager all took care of it for a stress free weekend! One of the biggest choices I've seen in an hotel continental breakfast buffet. Only complaint is the shower accumulating water in the tub but I really dont mind. Will come back for sure next time i'm in the Adirondacks!

Room was clean and quiet, breakfast was above average with a lot of options. Indoor pool and games. Close to RT 87, near to town and lake. Lots of corridors to walk though but ok. Free cookies were a nice touch.

By and far, one of the nicest Best Western's that I have stayed at in my travels! Everything was top notch - from the front desk staff, breakfast staff to the cleaning staff. And the property and rooms were immaculate. Huge bonus was the availability of gluten-free options at the breakfast station (including bread!). Lots of conviences nearby & dinner at the on-site restaurant - Ninety-Nine - was great. They even have a motorcycle wash facility on-site! Highly recommend this hotel as a stop on your travels!

Traveling on an East Coast trip and stayed on night at this location. Part of the Hotel is outside entrance and the remainder are inside. The Front Desk staff was so welcoming and helpful. They pointed everything out to us that we needed to know and helped us figure out where we might have dinner. The morning breakfast area was huge and had all kinds of options. Very impressed and the lady helping out in the breakfast area was awesome. Only drawbacks to the property was the room could have used a little updating (carpet) and I wish all hotels (not just BW) would start installing comfort height elongated toilets as I'm tall. Thus why I left off one star.

Great facility very well maintained and very clean with great staff. The service was second to none. they're a big swimming pool and fairly size fitness room. the hotel is located right next to the Champlain Centre mall and closed to many great restaurants and a liquor store.

We staid 2 nights for a travel softball tournament. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices. The pool was very clean. They value was right on. Very affordable.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Impressive array of included breakfast options, including several for vegans and vegetarians, with pleasant outdoor seating by a little pond. Friendly, smooth check-in and check-out. Little touches of luxury like free espresso and cookies in the lobby. All of this for less than half of what other hotels were charging on Memorial Day weekend in Burlington, VT or Lake Placid, NY. Right off the highway, minutes from the ferry to Grand Isle, 20 minutes from Ausable Chasm to get a jump start on the crowds there, or just over an hour to get to Burlington, VT or Lake Placid, NY, the hotel is in an ideal central location. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights. King bed. Vey comfortable- clean. Looked like it was recently updated. Front desk staff were very polite- offered us cookies upon arrival. Room was spacious- no unpleasant hotel odors from the carpet- halls- ac worked perfectly. Pool was nice for my son. Water was crystal clear. No strong chlorinated smell. Full breakfast was included. Waffles, baked good, fruit, oatmeal, hot foods, cereals, etc all great!

We love, just that our room has fenster but not door to the balcony , room small but clean, Tv a lot of channel , internet was fast too, and people were nice too. If I come back to Plattsburg I will go again to this hotel .

From check in to check out everything was great. The room and bathroom were clean. The pool and fitness area were well cared for. The breakfast had a nice variety of fresh food. Overall a great experience.

There was this young lady named Mckenzie working today night, and she was SO RUDE, we payed full price for the hotel and reserved it online. We go in and she just kicks us out and tells my husband who is 20, that it's only 21+ to check in to every hotel in New York. We literally went to another hotel and it took us 5 minutes to get checked in. She could've at least been nice about it and said she didn't know INSTEAD OF LYING

BWP is the only property I stay in Plattsburgh, it's central to everything and it's pet friendly! I've stayed in a number of various rooms on the property and every time is a v good experience, I recommend this property to everyone!

Amazingly clean , extremely friendly every single person you run into. Making a reservation directly through them saved me money compared to websites. The room was exactly what we needed the king suite with great features and the jetted tub was amazing. The pool was great for whole family and was very big, a crib was provided for my small child and they are pet friendly too. The suite had everything you need for a weekend away without having to pack utensils plates etc nice coffee maker and even a toaster oven besides multiple tvs and comfortable bed and sofa bed. Everything was just perfect

We love going to best western plus in Plattsburgh, New York. Poolside rooms are always a must. It's nice to sit out there with family and enjoy the view. Don't have to freeze walking in a hallway when u get outta the pool.

A typical good BW hotel. Good service. Good, clean, large room. All the basic amenities and a good breakfast offering. Easy to get too. Other services near by. There is a good restaurant on site. Easy access.

No issues whatsoever and clean. The pool was nice, warm, big, and clean! Breakfast was great and the hotel is very comfortable. We were there for 5 nights and had no issues at all. No issues with staff and we would return again without a doubt.

We only stayed for one night. Easy check in/out. Room was clean and a good size. All amenities worked. Pillows need to be replaced with a better quality. It's those square uncomfortable ones. The breakfast was great. Big space and great set up. The lady working it kept everything up very well & replenished often. Scrambled Eggs, corn beef hash, bacon, waffles, variety of bread items, fruit & some other things. The Laundry I believe was a $1 each. Now this is my only real complaint. I had planned on doing a load or 2, but in order to get to it it was a darn maze. I had to go down my hall, down stairs, and up/down 4 other halls (each had staircase too). Passed the pool area which was very nice & big, but the walk to get to 1 washer & 1 dryer set off a hall way .. not a room.. just an opening. It was odd. I was not walking back & forth that much to do laundry. I almost got lost trying to get back to my room. I waited until our next hotel stop (there's was just down the hall).

This hotel.is close to all shopping. Breakfast was great. Clean rooms. Pool was great even if they has a small heated problem. Stuff very friendly. I did even know that they had a small play room where the pool was. Arcade games . Lot of room to eat outdoor

Hi, On August 31st 2022 my mother, my grandmother and I decided to go to Plattsburgh New York for the day for a ‘mini vacation' to get out the house and change scenery. We decided to reserve a hotel room at the Best Western Hotel in Plattsburgh, NY. Being a Diamond member, travelling frequently, I have stayed at many Best Western Hotels within the past year, without ANY issue. We had checked in around 2pm, luckily they had a room that was ready we checked in(119),we left our belongings in the room and decided to go eat and go shopping for the day. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. As we arrived back at the hotel at around 9PM my Mother and I decided to go eat for supper and my Grand-Mother decided to rest as she was tired. Our plan was to stay overnight and the next day continue shopping and or visit the beach. BUT at around 2:15AM, as my grandmother and I were already asleep my mother woke us up in a very frantic mood, she was still awake on her iPad. She had yelled out for me to wake up and grab a Kleenex quickly as she had seen a bug crawling on the bed sheet. As I turned on the lights and I gave her the Kleenex she confirmed that it was a bedbug. She jumped out of bed freaking out she then noticed that there was indeed more and killed them, totalling 5 bedbugs( mother keeping them in a Kleenex/ in a ziplock). We took Pictures immediately with our iPhone. Now, IMAGINE, if my mother fell off to sleep, she would have got eaten up. ( no bed bugs were in my grandmothers single bed, or my cot bed). We quickly called the front desk, explained the situation clearly. The employee (working over night, very nice man) suggested to change rooms, we declined, we were very turned off not trusting the cleanliness of the hotel. We decided to head back to Montreal at around 2:45am all 3 of us in our pyjamas. He offered us muffins and coffee. We mentioned that we wanted a refund and in addition a refund of the “reward points” I used to book the hotel room. The night auditor mentioned to contact the hotel Management regarding the situation, being that in the moment he did not have that authority to refund etc. My mother did mention to the employee that she would be writing on trip-advisor website, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured for sure we would receive a refund. I guess Not. Therefore here we are now. On September 1st/2nd I received an email from the (Chief Operating Officer) (Vice President & CFO) of that specific hotel regarding the situation, I also gave my “recent stay” feedback and was contacted by The owner. I even called the main offices / customer care at Best Western multiple times and have been told that The Specific Hotel itself needs to authorize the refund which TILL this DAY, have refused to do, nor do they want to. They have not called us, all communications have been through email only, even ignoring my initial email reply on Sept 7, and only replying on Sept 19th( in between that I sent 2 emails sent). It took a phone call from myself on sept 19th and leaving a vocal message to receive the email reply after 12 days. I guess this important issue is not a priority to this hotel. The first reply email to the Chief Operating Officer was sent Sept 7th, explaining the situation , including a full detailed explanation, full proof pictures, with including a CLEAR GPS location for all (3) pictures. In short being indirectly told that we are lying and that this never happened at their hotel room, that they did an inspection and nothing was found but a spider in a corner of the room. (OF COURSE! Bed bugs come out at night when its quiet). Why did the night auditor not come inspect our room right away? Why was another employee not sent to see the room to inspect and see the proof? In addition, in that frantic moment, my mother did not show the night auditor anything, this was her first experience ever with bed bugs. At 2:45am, we decided to leave and head home, who would leave for an Hour+ drive back to Montreal, Canada with their 82 year old mother/grand mother who has been 98% shut in for the last 2 years?!. ON TOP of that as Canadians, we need to fill out the ArriveCanada (vaccination) app proof and are limited to spending, shopping purchases, according to how long we stay in the USA, all hassles to deal with when crossing back at the border. Now, the Chief Operating Officer has been dismissive and combative even indirectly/directly accusing us of lying, if this was the case, why would we of not taken advantage of the free breakfast in the morning, swim at the Pool Before check-out and have a goodnight sleep? Is a refund too much to ask after all of this?! We arrived home at 4:30am by the time we dropped off my Grand-Mother and travelled to our home. Despite the hotel looking good, being rated highly, staff being very nice and professional, our “mini” 1 day vacation was ruined. Despite all the CLEAR proof of pictures of the bed bugs, this situation has been time consuming, irritating and frustrating and upsetting. Hotels have a duty to keep their facilities clean and have failed in our case/ our room ( we are not accusing the whole hotel as it is well rated and overall clean). The customer service we have received from the management team has been very unprofessional and we feel let down. We have given them the benefit of the doubt but have not received any concrete help in 20 days, but a simple email with apologies made, but this is not enough. This is why we have decided to go the social media/news method and allow people to read our story, experience and try and help us. We have made a claim with the BBB.

The hotel is great, and the staff is the best. The inside pool was fun and clean. You can walk inside to all of the hotel. The parking is close to our room and well lite at night. We had a great stay. We liked the location near the Hi way.

Was a decent hotel for the money… Average complimentary breakfast, decent room and the pool/arcade area was fun for the entire family. Had a small issue with the washer but the staff quickly got the issue resolved.

We had never stayed at a Best Western before. We arrived in the area and actually had stopped at a different hotel first. I was not impressed with what I saw there and so continued on to this Best Western after reading the excellent reviews they had received. This place did not disappoint; from the delicious complementary cookies, to the clean room and the friendly staff we were pleased with all aspects of this hotel. We have been converted to the Best Western chain.

Good bang for your buck. Perfect location for leisure (I explored the Adirondacks which I highly recommend within itself). Service was solid but would prefer a wider variety of breakfast choices especially for those staying multiple nights.

My wife and I just looking for a getaway vacation. This place was wonderful. Close to everything you may want or need. The breakfast was excellent. We had our dog with us and the staff was very receptive to our needs.

We stay at the Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh, several times, throughout the year. We always enjoy a restful stay. The staff is wonderful and the breakfast is amazing! We look forward to spending time in the indoor pool and grateful that we can bring our dog, on some of our visits. We are looking forward to future stays!

The people at the front desk were delightful. the agent was very forthcoming about no elevator available for the floor that contained the king rooms, but they were on the second floor and there were railings on both sides of the stairs. The room was large, clean and very comfortable; so comfortable that we overslept and missed breakfast the next morning! Overall, we would return in a heartbeat.

The facility is clean and convenient. The staff made the difference though - they were fantastic. From a very helpful check-in, to extra towels from the cleaning staff, to a very quick visit from maintenance, everyone was excellent. The breakfast buffet is good. The fitness facility is small, but has everything you need. We would definitely go back.

The breakfast is especially wonderful - full hot breakfast options - meat/home fries/corned beef hash- and a full range of fruit/cereal/yogurt/drinks coffee and more. The rooms are well appointed (the bathrooms are especially roomy) and well lit. The staff is friendly and ready to provide recommendations.

Everything was perfect from upkeep to friendly staff. The breakfast was above average and large area so you didn't feel cramped. They had outdoor fireplace by pool which was large and indoor. Would recommend try it!

The pool, the size of the room, the comfy beds, the friendly staff, the location and the hot breakfast are all great when traveling with family. The room was also very clean and the 99 restaurant being attached to the hotel just sealed the deal.

We booked the hotel at the last minute. We were pleasantly surprised what a wonderful hotel this was. The staff was so friendly, the pool was like an indoor resort, the breakfast was plentiful and the whole place was very big and very clean. We will definitely stay again.

We stay here when visiting family. Normally this hotel mets expectations but last stay didn't. We're usually on 2nd flr and no issues, but last time on 1st flr. We had bugs, wet floor, and it smelled.

A very pleasant one-night stay, with lovely staff at check-in. This is a huge hotel with plenty of free parking. Our room was super clean and spacious, even with three adults in the one room. The breakfast was one of the best I've seen at a BW (and I stay at a lot of BWs!) — we were uber impressed. The gym was also well maintained and I was the only one using it the morning we left. The pool seemed inviting, but was very stuffy and packed with kids during our stay — so we didn't end up using it. Although the air-con in our room was a tad temperamental, we had an otherwise quiet stay and slept well. A couple of (minor) negatives from our stay: - there was no recognition at all of my BW status (nor offer of the usual water or bonus points) at check-in - one member of staff was incredibly rude to my friend when she headed downstairs to breakfast, to the point where she felt she wasn't welcome there. I'm grateful for the owner who said he'd speak with his staff about this. - the bathroom in our room was incredibly small; there was only one hook and hardly any space to put your things

Great stay! Staff, breakfast, clean, great restaurant (99) Great experience with all aspects! Other places should take note! 100% will stay again and recommend anyone who's going to be in this area to check it out! I'm sure anyone would be very satisfied just like myself and all of my crew which was up to 13 guys sometimes!

The BW in Plattsburgh is a very nice hotel. Close to shops restaurants etc.Nice indoor pool with patio outside. Breafast was great Eggs bacon waffles. Lots of choioce very nice staff. Beds are very comfortable

Family trip. My mother passed away. We needed a place to stay while we attended the burial and sold our home. Motel great. Ninety-nine less than acceptable. Rude hostess. Forty minutes before closing she refused to serve us.

Hotel is in great condition and room was clean. Breakfast was good and dinner at the restaurant on-site was a fun experience and also had good food. Do not hesitate to stay at this Best Western hotel.

Very nice Hotel...the room was very clean and very spacious...very nice staff always ready to help, even the concierge or maintenance people in the hotel smiled and said Hello ..Beautiful indoor pool...close to restaurants and shopping centers.

Our family has stayed at the Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh, NY several times over the past several years. We have traveled to the area on business and to visit our son who is a student at the local SUNY school. We initially stayed, to be able to travel with our dog. We have since stayed, whether we are traveling with or without our pet. The accommodations are excellent! The rooms, building, pool are always very clean. Breakfast is wonderful and delicious! All of the staff is kind, professional and attentive to the needs of all of their guests. We became Best Western members and we are very happy with the process while making reservations, checking-in & out, the rates and membership rewards. We always look forward to our stays and plan on returning often!

Breakfast was, in my opinion above average. Many types of bread, yogurt, bacon, hash browns, eggs, juices AND flavored water, good coffee, waffles and cereal. Very clean hotel, smells fresh. Staff very nice and accommodating. Dustin, in particular, brightens your day with this constant smile. As a plus, there is a 99 in the same building for other meals.

After three years of remote learning, remote working and finally my retirement I decided a break was needed and the first place I thought of was this hotel. From previous visits I knew I could get peace and quiet, a comfortable room and be close to shopping and restaurants. I had 5 days and four nights of peace, comfort and a contented feeling. Friendly staff, clean rooms and great amenities. Will be back soon with the family!

This is one of the better Best Westerns I've stayed at and definitely one of the best hotels overall. The rooms are clean, the complimentary breakfast is extensive with several hot options, the pool and pool area is very big and always clean. The beds are super comfortable also. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Hotel was great. Staff was excellent, the pool area was clean. And the breakfast was amazing both mornings. Thank you best western for a great stay will definitely be back for many more of our little getaways.

Hotel was great for families. Lots of kids at this place. The pool area is big and kept warm and also has a game room area for the littles. Breakfast is great. Hot fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cold cereal, juices, tea and coffee with a waffle maker as well....it saved our family of 4 adults and 4 children a lot of money on breakfast. We requested rooms next to each other and the hotel gave us connecting rooms so the grandchildren could run from room to room. Close to shopping with a mall right next door within walking distance. Rooms were clean but would have preferred queen size beds, they were only doubles. Overall, great stay

Been staying here on and off for 18yrs. Hotel is kept up to date and in immaculate shape. Restaurant attached to hotel makes it handy for meals and the food and service is always good. Highly recommend

We really enjoy this hotel and it's pool! We have stayed several times and have not been disappointed. Amazing pool! Great Breakfast! I am in love with the poolside rooms. We love what the area has to offer. Close to the mall and movie theater.

My family and I love it here. It is the best pool around! The hotel is so clean and the staff are very friendly. We never want to leave. The best part is that they are very accommodating when we ask for anything.

This Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh, NY, is an excellent value. Our room was large and nicely laid out, and very clean. The indoor heated pool was amazing and an added bonus is The 99 restaurant is attached!

HOT, FULL breakfast! Pool is clean and area is well-kept, guest rooms are clean and well-appointed, staff is always friendly and helpful, and the common areas are always clean and neat as well. We've stayed here three times now and this is now our go-to place when we're visiting family in the Plattsburgh area.

The hotel is close to all shopping and dining areas. Staff is very friendly and helpful, we didn't use the pool but it looks clean and a great place to relax. They have a restaurant that is attached to the hotel so you don't have to walk outside if the weather is unpleasant

Had to spend the night waiting for our PCR test to cross the Canada border. Randomly picked BW - extremely satisfied. Beat expectations. Last time I stayed at a BW was maybe 30 or 40 years ago when I was a kid. As good as any out there.

We have stayed here several times over the last four years. Despite Covid restrictions these folks seemed to have figured out a way to make things work. There have been a few minor bumps along the way but each time we visit we feel that everything is going in a positive direction. The staff are pleasant and helpful, rooms are clean, breakfast is great.

We were pleased with size of the room and the amenities offered on site. Would definitely recommend. The room was clean and well stocked and neat. My wife and I stayed in the executive suite for two nights and very much enjoyed our time there. We will be going back!

My grandson had surgery and since he got released after dark, I decided to stay overnight. The staff put us near an entrance, so he did not have to walk far. They all were very professional and polite during our check-in and after.

This stay was really nice and affordable. We stayed because we attended a concert at my daughter's college — SUNY Plattsburgh. It was only 1 night and wished we could have stayed longer especially to enjoy the other amenities like the indoor pool.

Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and design of the room. Walk-in shower was perfect and besides the beds being a bit high, everything worked well and was stocked well for our stay. Would definitely stay again.

4th year we have stayed here when hunting in Chazy NY. The attached 99 restaurant is fantastic! Great food , good prices . Hotel is clean and offers us a discounted rate when hunting thru a local guide ( Frontier Waterfowl Guide Service , Chazy NY ). Highly recommend hotel and Frontier !

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was serving a wonderful, fresh, HOT full breakfast. The room and pool were very clean and neat. The front desk staff was accommodating and friendly. My husband and I have decided that we're staying at the Best Western every time we're in town. Very, very happy customers.

The amenities are AMAZING and the service is most courteous and professional! Beautiful rooms and hotel building. There is an easy parking for 7-10 semis. I was traveling by car on this trip, but will definitely stop here when driving my semi.

Whenever my parents have come up from FLA, they have always stayed here. The rooms are clean, breakfast is great, and the staff - front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, etc., are second to none! I highly recommend staying here! The pool is also a great accommodation, larger than most hotel pools!

This is a "can't miss" property. Clean. Roomy. Exceptional full breakfast. Pool area is huge with a big pool and excellent hot tub. Fitness center is well equipped. Front desk efficient and helpful. The restaurant on-site was good. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. This is a very well run property. We will not hesitate to book another room here whenever we're in the area.

As a hotel manager at a premiere hotel & resort I have fairly high but also fair expectations when traveling. That said, the BW was good and I would recommend. Grounds and appearance: The property is in a good location, just a couple minutes off the highway. I will say that the exterior appearance had me slightly worried, however once inside I found it to be a clean and well appointed property. The halls are a little dark and dreary in my opinion, but there's nothing wrong with that by any means. All in all 7/10. Room and Housekeeping: Having managed a Housekeeping Department I fully understand the woes of that job, but I must say my room was clean and well appointed. None of the normal mishaps were present, such as a dirty fridge or stuff left in drawers. The fitted sheet on the bed was inside out but who cares. There was a slight odor in the room, almost like stale cigarettes, and the lamps have clearly not been dusted as there are cop-webs and a good layer of dust. I have one other thought on the room that has nothing to do with Housekeeping; the microwave is facing the bed and therefore the clock is right in your face at night. I may be in the minority here but I like it dark when I sleep so having a green clock in my face was less than great. My advice to Housekeeping would simply be to sit in the chair like a guest will and see it from their perspective; I have a feeling the dust and whatnot will stand out from that perspective. 7/10 Front Office: When I arrived I was promptly created by Erin who got me checked in quickly while taking the time to ask me about my trip. I was given clear directions to my room and brief rundown of the property, everything I needed. Checkout was quick, I swung by the Desk and Dustin got me squared away super fast. 10/10 F&B: So there is a Ninety Nine attached to the hotel, but for obvious reasons I ventured elsewhere. I also got up a little late so I was not able to try the free breakfast (6a-10a during the week). Thoughts for Ownership: I have a couple thoughts I'd like to share since I know the owner actively reads reviews here. The patio/balconies for the rooms are cool, but they have no furniture; even a couple chairs would be nice. I love the tile in the showers and they look really nice, and one improvement I would recommend would be making them rainfall showers. Overall your team does a great job and you should be proud. Giving a final rating is difficult for me. I am used to full service premium properties and therefore have that expectation, and this is certainly not that level of hotel. Given the price and what this property actually is, I would give it 8/10. It proved to be a clean and comfortable stop during my road trip, and I would recommend it for other travelers.

We stayed in a pool side room with my daughter and two friends for the 13th birthday. Our experience was nothing but awesome. The room was a great location. The staff was super friendly. And the 3 teenagers all found something they wanted to eat for breakfast.

Hotel staff are great and breakfast was wonderful. Rooms are decent if you do not mind the dust/musty odors. TV remotes are not easy to operate and no channel guide. Restaurant is easy to access and pool is very nice.

We arrived reserving 4 rooms to accommodate family for our daughter's wedding. We were exceptionally pleased with everything! We loved the restaurant, the food was great. And the pool hours were awesome too. We will definitely stay with you again.

My 4 year old twin grandsons had a great time and so did we. We definitely plan on going back with them. The room was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was a lot of fun.

I spent 2 nights with the Best Western Group at their Plattsburg property. The motel was very clean and well lighred. outside, The breakfast was outstanding with a number of hot or cold choices. There are a large selections of restaurant, in fact the 99 is attached. I made a good choice.

We stayed here as a "staycation" birthday for my grandson. We stayed poolside, which was awesome, met some great people, loved the pool and fact it is open until 11pm. The fitness center is open 24-7 which is also very nice. The breakfast was nice, with much variety. I'd suggest getting there early (that's typical with any place though). This hotel is located right in the heart of "uptown" Plattsburgh, you can walk to the mall and very short drive to anything else, including the city beach.

Been staying at this hotel on and off over the last 18 years. They continue to upgrade and keep there hotel at a immaculate shape. Rooms are very well kept and furniture and beds are like new. All staff are very friendly and seem happy with their jobs

Room was very clean, accommodated our pet. Even a bowl of fresh water at the reception area. Woman who checked us in was very gracious. Other staff members offered a good morning on their way to and from... Clean bathroom and shower, additional sink in the living area... bed was great as were pillows, often a complaint of ours. Very pleasant experience.

Very good choice in Plattsburgh. Amazing service, with quick check-in, check-out. Great breakfast, and great pool. Rooms were ultra clean. Our stay was a delight. Hotel is near just about everything, and guest service was so helpful. (recommended a great coastal restaurant, which was fantastic). We will return to this hotel again.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and recently updated. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and helpful, from the time I checked in and was offered a cookie to after I checked out when the front desk staff person reissued my key so I could retrieve items accidentally left behind. I was very pleased with my experience and would definitely choose this location again if visiting Plattsburgh in the future

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and check-in was seamless. We entered our room to find it extremely well maintained, a pleasing scent and very comfortable beds. The pool area was not only clean and well organized, but big with many choices for seating and rooms that overlook the pool as well. There were many games for kids to play including ping pong. Besides the awesome room and pool area, we were really impressed with the exercise room. The equipment includes weights, balls, treadmills, steppers and a bike. All are nice models and this area features towels, water and cleaning agents. Due to the nature of our stay, I asked for a late checkout and it was granted with grace. Plain and simple, I would highly recommend this facility. It is easy to access and we received excellent service!

My husband and I made an impromptu trip to Plattsburgh and stayed in one of the Best Western suites. The room was great, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. We also used the pool and it was warm. We had the whole pool to ourselves.

Everything and everyone at this hotel went above and beyond maintenance gentleman even helped with our room key and info rooms were very clean will definitely go back family that came to visit are now going to stay next time they come to town

We were there for our uncles 100th birthday...frontdesk employees were excellent from check in to check out...always checking to make sure we were comfortable and checking on our needs..they even took pics of us with our uncle..how caring is that?...will definitely go back

You only expect so much from a hotel located in the middle of a mall, but Best Western Plus Plattsburgh insulated me from the unappealing surroundings with great comfort and quiet. I loved having access to the swimming pool, and had a very satisfying meal at the restaurant next door. The staff were all super friendly, welcoming and helpful.

My husband and I took our 5 year old here for the night. I am a housekeeper at a resort in lake George, NY, so I tend to be very picky about hotels. This hotel was extremely clean, very pleased. The staff was friendly and courteous. The pool was awesome! Highly recommended!!

There were no blankets, they were more like textured sheets, the beds were old amd uncomfortable, but st least they were clean. Virtually non existent water pressure, the T.V. wasn't much larger then a tablet.

We had multiple issues.. from brown stains on my clean towels which ended up drying off with my own cloths. To cream substance on our couch. Black hair all under the sheets of our bed..i approached the manager at the front desk about these issues an was told that house keeping could go in and clean.. unfortunately i told her never mind we will just move to a whole new hotel... she did not care she said okay we packed up n left! I called corporate an emailed them have not heard back at all from them!! Extremely sadden about having to pack an move but the next hotel was much better!!

This was a great place to stay for the weekend we would definitely stay at this resort. Any issue the front desk responded and address them and fix them breakfast was a good starter meal the ninety nine restaurant was a good choice for dinner the couple of night that we stayed

Was in bathtub while water filling. Noticed an abundance of organic material floating in tub. Gross. Bathtub was clearly not cleaned. Hotel staff offered to come clean it. Have stayed multiple times in Plattsburgh area at different hotels. Not the worst experience but far from the best.

All staff were friendly, kind, helpful and compassionate! The pool was awesome!l, the bed comfortable. The room was very quiet! Internet was great for I required this for my work. Location was excellent!

Our room and hallways smelled like cigarettes so bad it was disgusting! Our bed was as hard as a rock, the thermostat didn't work so it was like a sauna in our room, it didn't look like the room had been cleaned, and there was a party above us that was so loud we couldn't sleep! If I hadn't been so far away from home I would have left!

Been staying at this hotel on and off over the last 16 years. It's as well kept now as back then.my last stay I saw they were remodeling rooms that I've stayed in and thought they were better than other hotels ive been in. Keep up the good work.

Midrange hotel. Very nice and spacious room. Property and room were clean and well maintained. Bed and bedding were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful with local information. Plenty of free parking. Close to shopping and restaurants and airport. Pet friendly. Located off a main road but our room was quiet . Fitness room was by appointment only due to COVID and the pool was open.

The pool is our favorite winter activity. We love the olympic size pool and the arcade (even though the machines tend to take our money unecessarily everytime). Staff are extremely accomodating and friendly. Rooms and decor are amazing and perfect for the children and adults to enjoy their stay. We go every few weeks for a mini vaca. We have had much better free breakfasts (no bacon or waffles), but the breakfast attendant is so friendlyevery time we go that we couldn't help but give her the rest of our arcade money for a $10 tip.

This was a last minute trip to spend the weekend with my daughter who is away at college. The staff was helpful and very welcoming. The prices are reasonable. The rooms are clean. They provide a free breakfast with a nice variety of items to choose from.The service is top nothch.

We stood one night here while visiting colleges with my daughter. This hotel was great!! I was so impressed with how clean it was. I am very nervous about staying in places due to COVID and I have to say that this was probably the best one we stood at. The staff was cleaning so much. The guests were all wearing their masks. The price was great and the breakfast was awesome. I also would like to add how friendly the staff was. We brought our dog with us as well for the first time travelling and I was worried that the hotel would not be clean due to the allowance of pets. I could not have been more wrong. I highly recommend this place!!!

We have stayed at the Best Western Plus several times over the past two years. We enjoy traveling with our dog Charlie. Whether or not Charlie is with us, we stay here as the staff is courteous, friendly and professional. The rooms, amenities, staff, breakfast and location are a perfect fit for our family's needs. We always look forward to our stays. The building and rooms are modern and very clean. We highly recommend stay here. It is our Plattsburgh home, away from home!

Our room was clean and comfortable—equipped with a jacuzzi that really came in handy after a long day of moving our daughter into her dorm in nearby college. Location is great, near several restaurants and across from a wine store!!!! Highly recommend.

If you are traveling by motorcycle. There is a complete furnished wash station. That is a plus. Clean rooms . I would stay again. My reservation was not correct. Make sure in advance that your reservation are correct.

The room was not cleaned well prior to our arrival. There were items in the room and refrigerator clearly left by the last guests. This was really concerning especially during what is going on right now.

We were there with our two kids. The room was great. Because of COVID the breakfast was limited but fair. The swimming pool is large and great and the kids really enjoyed it. The restaurant next to the hotel is fine as well.

Excellent staff upon check in and check out. Very clean and I felt very comfortable with all aspects of stay during Covid challenges. Checked out at 4:30 am and had grab and go breakfast ready to roll. Thank you and Great job!!!!

My family and I really love the Best Western! The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful, pool is fun too (maybe a bit cold for some people) but its always clean. Breakfast is good to and like many other places in Plattsburgh, its close to everything. We have never had a problem here. See you guys soon!

Great place to stay enroute to Montreal QC. Friendly staff and excellent housekeeping. Plenty of places to eat that are within walking distance. The local Walmart and diners will deliver. The 99 is a great place to eat and it's connected to the hotel.

We decided to take a quick last-minute getaway to New York and on the way back we stayed at the Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh. We were able to get a really good rate through AARP for a king suite. Overall we were extremely happy with the location, the room and the breakfast which was included in the price. There were just a few minor things such as outdated creamer in the refrigerator, water stain on the ceiling, and we would have to say the mattress was not that comfortable. Other than that, we were happy with the room and would stay at this hotel chain again.

Great Staff all around.. Really nice place to stay and relax.. Pool was great for the kids.. I likes that the pool an arcade where in the same area... Clean Breakfast area . An the one nice thing is there is a restaurant just feet away.....

We got a suite and it was very nice./ comfortable. In room coffee/tea/ microwave toaster oven. it was quiet. We got there early for certain reasons but room was not ready. We wanted to go for a swim but were not allowed. I don't know why, we would have been comfortable and happy. Lots of kids in the pool that weekend but it was alright. Over all nice hotel but there canadian discount was cheaper on expedia.ca so look before you book. I will go back

Hotel room was in great shape. Breakfast selection was great. Kids enjoyed the pool although it was really popular with all the other kids staying there on the weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel was very pleasant. The staff was always courteous and efficient. The breakfast selection was better than most of the other chains that offer free breakfasts. The hotel areas were recently renovated and the room was clean. Some of the furniture was dated but very clean. We stayed here for 4 days and enjoyed the stay.

This hotel experience blew me away. I've stayed a lot more pricy hotels before. Our group of 15+ were very happy with professional staffs and clean rooms, pool, and fitness center! I will definitely come back. Oh by the way, it was in the center and walking distance!

This hotel has a Great, huge pool which was perfect for our stay for a hockey tournament. Lots of tables by the pool which was handy for pizza with all our families. Also, a few arcades games by the pool to keep the kids entertained. Great selection at the morning breakfast which is included. Centrally located. Will definitely stay again.

i was very surprise how well Best Western has change in comfort of hotel and how they handle situations. we haven't stayed with any Best Western in years but someone told us to try Plattsburgh and I did and was very glad we did. Very pleasure hotel.

The Best Western Plattsburgh is an older property that has been renovated, perhaps several times. The lobby was updated as well with newer furniture in several seating areas. The room is accessed by interior hallway but has an outside entrance, too. At least there used to be a door. The room was very clean with dark carpet. Mattresses were newer as were the linens. Could use a little higher wattage light bulbs. The bathroom has been updated to a higher standers than the room. Nice tile with a sink in the bathroom as well as one outside...this would be nice if travelling with others. Room was quiet and plenty of parking. Bizarre shower head with two elbow joints and thumb-screws holding it in place. I used the restaurant but brought dinner back to my room. Food was fine but the restaurant needs some theme or decorations...pretty austere.

Hotel was clean and neat. Pool area very well taken care of .Cleanliest pool in hotel so far. Needs a restroom close by. You have to go back to your room dripping wet to use restroom breakfast was good.

Walked in and immediately greeted / welcomed. The hotel was amazing! Only wish they had a gift shop for snacks. 2 restaurants to choose from the 99 & The Ground Round. Night Auditor was extremely friendly and worked with me on a receipt that my company would accept. Overall they should be a premiere not a plus.

Excellent Hotel .. Super comfortable beds and fantastic service. Great breakfast in the morning.We rented a pool side room (225) the only complaint we have is regarding young children screaming their heads off until 11pm at the pool. We heard it loud & clear in our room even with the patio door closed. I would highly suggest to management that the pool become an adults only swim time after 8pm .. Other than that we had an excellent stay!

We had originally booked a reservation at another hotel in the Plattsburgh area only to arrive to a smoke filled broken door disaster!! At 11:30 pm, after driving over 6 hours we didn't know what to do. I called and spoke to a representative from Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh and they graciously assisted us in booking a 2 night stay at their location. We were traveling with our parents as well one of which has stage 4 cancer. (We traveled to the Plattsburgh area so she could see her sister who is disabled and unable to travel) So to say the least it was a bittersweet trip. The room was amazing and the breakfast was fantastic. Everyone that we came encounter with was very friendly. Great experience!!

This hotel meets all of our expectations. The rooms are clean. The pool is large and warm. It's nice to be able to enjoy drinks and snacks by the pool. Many hotels do not allow that. The staff is friendly. The included breakfast is good. The location is great. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

Centrally located to mall, other stores and restaurants. We only stayed the one night but it was a nice stay. Well worth the cost. Room was clean. Only issue is lack of outlets and charging ports other hotels have.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Great rates. Lots of restaurants around. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over 15 years or so and have never been disappointed. The hotel has been updated several times over the years so it never seems dated or run down.

I spent 1 night at this hotel due to work needs. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of eating options within walking distance. Even a ninety nine on site which was a very good meal. I would certainly stay here again when traveling in that area.

The indoor heated pool area has arcade games, very nice. The Jacuzzi rooms are a rip off. Only big enough for 1 person, faucets are located in a position that requires you to be inside the tub to run water. Not big enough for an "intimate" experience with a partner... Seriously a huge letdown

I only stayed here for one night and used points, so I can't comment on value for price. This is an old HoJo's converted into a Best Western, so the layout of the hotel is a little different than your standard Best Western. That being said, everything is very accessible (you can still get from point A to point B from anywhere in the hotel, which was great since I didn't want to walk to breakfast in the rain!) and there is plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast tasted fresh and there was a decent selection of food. Where this hotel loses a star is for the extremely thin walls. Throughout the night I could hear our neighbors talking, watching TV, and even snoring! I understand this is a structural issue that likely came with the hotel and probably would be difficult for Best Western to fix, but if you are a light sleeper and/or hate neighbor noise, this might not be a place for you. Also, the pillows were much too soft for my liking. Overall, this place was just fine for a one night stay in Plattsburgh. It's close to a variety of stores and restaurants and getting to/from the highway is a breeze. Plus, they're pet friendly, which was exactly what I needed.

Whenever we travel for leisure, we look for a hotel with a jacuzzi tub, a luxury we don't have at home. This hotel has an awesome mini-suite with a big tub that we really enjoyed. The room was very clean, as were all of the public spaces, the furniture was comfortable. The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that the air conditioning unit was very loud every time it cycled on, which was really annoying while trying to sleep. I didn't ask anyone to do anything about it, because I think the only fix would have been to switch rooms, which I didn't want to do.

My wife and I have been going to this particular BW for more than 30 years.It is a short drive to the Canadian border and is centrally located within walking distance to all the amenities. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The indoor pool area is especially family friendly. This property has become a family getaway as my daughter now goes there with my grandchildren.The owner is very hands on ensuring quality.

Although our visit was for business, we enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage. We were able to bring our dog, as this location allows pets. The staff was welcoming and the hotel was updated, clean and very well maintained. We were impressed with the complimentary breakfast, with real plates and utensils as opposed to plastic. The food was fresh and delicious. We plan on visiting this hotel, at this location, often in the future.

Everyone was excellent the General Manager Tricia Chase, along with ownership continues to go above and beyond with service and quality, the renovations looking spectacular and add a nice element to this property.

Shout out to Dustin for changing my room promptly after the heater was not working. He always does a great job as does Jessica and Caitlynn. I stay here every week and have stayed else where in town before discovering this gem. The staff is really some of the best I've encountered on my travels, they really do their best to make you feel at home, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The Best Western in Plattsburgh NY has a very cordial staff including housekeepers. The 99 on site restaurant has excellent food and very pleasant wait staff. Pool is absolutely wonderful, clean and pleasant. Great pricing. Thumbs up!!

The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The parking lot should go all around the hotel not just down 3 sides as it is a little confusing. Also at first we were confused as to where out suites were as it was not labeled on the outside of the buidlings

In the chaos of our wedding weekend, this place was wonderful. Clean, friendly staff, Huge suites for us to get ready in. I heard no complaints from any of the 50ish people we had staying in this hotel with us.

The staff in Plattsburgh NY are super nice and is always there with a smile and ready to help. The lobby in Plattsburgh NY is beautiful. The pool is really nice. Some of the ground floor rooms have a little balcony. Sweet The rooms are tastefully decorated and boy o boy the pillows are really comfortable. Looking forward to my next stay.

This was our 3rd overnight stay at the Best Western Plattsburgh in 9 months. It is a great place for us to stop before heading into Canada. This time, we enjoyed the swimming pool & breakfast as did not have to rush out for our next destination. As expected, check-in was quick and the staff was friendly as always. Our room was clean with patio access to the pool. We prepared a simple dinner in our room with the microwave (b/c of food allergies). It was a treat and a convenience to enjoy the pool & then have dinner on the patio table just outside our room. Our kids also enjoyed the arcade. The next morning, the breakfast spread offered a good variety and the staff worked hard to keep with the weekend rush. We were then off to our next destination in Quebec for the rest of weekend. We look forward to returning again this winter on our way up to Quebec for our next ski trip.

We celebrated our anniversaries with another couple and reserved 2 rooms on relatively short notice when our AirBnB host cancelled on very short notice. We were greeted warmly, and checked in promptly. Rooms were great, and updated. The facility appears to have been "built out" at different times, and it was a challenge to navigate from our rooms near entrance #7 to breakfast. We found it easier to walk outside, but be sure you have your room key to get back in. It was a short ride to the ferry to Vermont. ~$25 for 4 people & vehicle. About 75 minute drive to Old Montreal. The breakfast is excellent, and the staff worked hard to keep up with the Saturday & Sunday morning rushes. The chocolate chip cookies in the lobby were worth the long walk from the room :-) There are 2 Tesla "destination chargers" in the parking lot. My wife still won't let me get one :-( We heartily recommend this hotel and will stay again. My only disappointment- my wife booked the room through booking.com and I lost out on 6 nights of Rewards points.

We stayed over for one night with a bunch of kids of all ages. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was amazing and also very very clean. The arcade was perfect for the kids to waste a bit of time. The staff were amazing and friendly and we will all be coming again.

The lobby and main areas of the hotel have been updated and are well maintained. The breakfast was excellent. Individual rooms are quite dated, horribly dark, and temperature control was limited. It was the first week in September and Fall comes early to the North Country. I was FREEZING in my room and there was no way to turn on the heat. Staff were friendly and helpful in general. I was easily able to find parking near my room. The location is good for any destination within the Plattsburgh area.

If you are looking for a clean and comfortable hotel, Best Western has your back. We were greeted by a friendly front desk hostess who explained al the amenities of the hotel. Breakfast is included in your room rate each morning. Indoor pool was perfect and many area's inside and out to just sit and read a book or chat with friends. Rooms are large and bed is very comfortable. Room was very clean and bathroom was quiet large. There is a business center if you need it. easy walk to local restaurants. The 99 restaurant is attached to the hotel. Highly recommend

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh during a conference at the State University of New York! It felt so home like!!! Great staff, very helpful and friendly. I loved the breakfast and looked forward to it!!!

Hotel is nice and clean. Check in was delayed by over an hour. Our reservation said 3pm but apparently its not until 4pm. Breakfast was chaotic due to the layout of the tables, making navigation difficult.

Very comfortable, clean accommodations with extremely helpful and friendly staff. A recommended restaurant, Twisted Carrot, provided one of the three best meals we had over an 8-day trip from Burlington through Montreal, the Laurentians, and Quebec City. Breakfast was better than any other we had, even in posh hotels Our room backed the pool, not the best view, and would have benefited from a bathroom night light instead of the whir of the fan when the light was on. The staff, however, was top drawer.

Great Stay when dropping off my daughter at college! In the main lobby they had a snack and drinks for the people staying and dropping off their kids to college. Jessica at the front desk remembered me from a previous trip. It was nice to be recognized. She remembered that I left something from my last trip and got it for me. Service was great and the breakfast too.

Staff....Staff as always are very professional and accomodating, rooms are clean but the water pressure in the shower was not strong. I wish if they had fixed small safe to secure valuables. the breakfast was very nice.

We were in town for a baseball tournament and this was a nice affordable place to stay. The pool was nice for the boys to swim in but the pool area was quite hot and humid. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was decent. If we return to Plattsburgh next year I am sure will stay here again.

Ok found double small for family of four. Would have preferred two queen beds. Front staff should have suggested to us a room with two queen beds, special knowing the age of the children, could have been offered as a free upgrade.

A August get away to the Adirondacks.Take the slow route and see the sights.The weather was perfect and the destination in Platsburg New York was the furthest point and down to Old Forge for some shopping and then home.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus overnight as we were passing through. It made for a perfect stop for us. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. The bar/restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and a fabulous bartender,Jeremy. The happy hour deals were great as well. In the morning, our breakfast was good with plenty of options. We didn't use the pool but it looked pretty large and very clean as we walked by. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

A nicely renovated BW hotel with pool, fitness center and 99 restaurant attached. Conveniently located with courteous staff and a very good complimentary breakfast. The rooms are attractive and well maintained.

Plattsburgh sits on Lake Champlaign, and has lovely views and summer activities. There is only one restaurant on the water, which was comfortable and very comfortable, however, the food left alot to be desired. The hotel is conveniently located and one of the nicest BW I've ever stayed in.

The hotel is labeled as a Best Western Plus. Although I'm not handicapped, I do advise people who are physically challenged to ask for a first floor room because this inn does not seem to have an elevator. Also note that this inn won't let you check in until 4:00, unlike many other hotels which allow a 3:00 check in. If you arrive earlier than that, you can walk over to the mall. You don't need to cross any streets to get there, and it is literally right next door. The room itself is very attractive and good sized. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed in a pool deck room by the swimming pool, which was a very nice room with a table and chairs outside of our room. The pool is extremely large as hotel pools go, and it's 9 feet deep at the deepest point. We did not see a hot tub in the facility. We had breakfast in the breakfast room and ate off of regular plates and used regular tableware instead of plastic forks, knives, and spoons and foam plates. There was a very cozy atmosphere there with the fireplace. There's a nice sitting room outside of the breakfast room with the fireplace. There's also a very nice sitting room outside of the hotel with the fountain. There are a number of restaurants very close by both fast-food casual and more upgraded. You can even walk to them if you want to. We chose to eat at Friendly's across the street. You can get a 10% off coupon when you check in for Ground Round, which is next door. The building could use a water power spraying to look cleaner.

I have been staying at this hotel for a lot of years, and they are always improving it. They have recently expanded and improved their breakfast area, which is a very enjoyable part of staying here. The improvements to the exterior of the hotel are fantastic. The rooms are great, with comfortable beds, and always clean. The staff is very professional and friendly, always willing to help. Great location, with two restaurants right on their property, a shopping mall next door, and right off the Northway (I-87), which is very convenient.

Nice, comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Breakfast was good and hotel centrally located near numerous shops and restaurants. Would recommend hotel to short term and long term visitors. Beautiful, large inside pool as well.

We had a great visit to Ausable Chasm and stayed at the Plattsburgh BW. The room was clean and the breakfast sufficient. The only negative I have is the air conditioner in our room was loud cycling on and off. The air was necessary as it was a hot July week!

My husband and I recently stayed in a lovely suite at Best Western in Plattsburgh, NY for several nights. The quality of the entire experiance was fantastic! Very friendly, effecient and responsive staff; very clean suite with great amenities; suite was extremely quiet and comfortable; great and reasonably priced menu at in-house restaurant; a tasty and varied selection of foods at breakfst (including gluten free options:); and fast and easy check-in and check-out!

My wife and I decided to stay here on our way to Montreal and this was a great stopover. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We got a great room at a great price. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and cozy as well. The hotel is easily accessible from I-87 at Exit 37. We would definitely stay here again

The hotel was clean, although much of parking area was closed. The only issue I had was I was quoted 1 price and charged a higher price. The continental breakfast was outstanding and the cleaning crew was very helpful.

After a horrid experience at the Comfort Inn nearby, this hotel found a room quickly for our family of four; two kids under four years and our small dog. The king bed suites are wonderful; large bedroom and living room, newly renovated, clean and quiet (corner room). The outside is dated, you aren't sure what you're walking into only to find wonderfully accommodating staff and a renovated clean interior. The pool was a hit with the kids, nothing special but the water was a good temporary, the air was warmer and they had some pool toys (balls)— most hotels have very cold water. Breakfast was also good— so needless to say, we will be back when in town. Thanks!

After all these years, this is our first TripAdvisor review... We are a family of 4 with 2 young children & travel to Canada often. For us, Plattsburg is a perfect location to break down the long road trip to the Quebec City/Charlevoix region. We have stayed at this Best Western before in Dec 2018 & chose it again for this reason. At our stay the other night, we experienced a mechanical issue with our room at approxmimately 1140pm. Scott (the overnight manager who has worked on the property many years & was very professional) responded to the matter quickly & immediately moved us into a new room. He helped us move our things to the new room since we had 2 children. The next morning, Tricia, the General Manager followed up. We explained we were pleased with how the matter was resolved & it did not prevent us from having a very restful night. We will certainly stay there again & next time we will use the awesome pool!!

Stayed at pool view room! Room was spotless! Pool was perfect temperature! Balcony was nice & warm considering the cold May we had in Ontario Canada! Complimentary breakfast had a large assortment of warm & cold food! The only noise we had was the air conditioner/ heater in the room! A very nice getaway!

The rooms are all wonderful, we got a great queen suite with a jacuzzi. So cozy. We love taking our little one to the pool. Always nice to get away on a dreary day and visit a pool. We're locals and will continue to stay at this hotel.

We go every year for work and they always look after us. they`re 45 of us and they let us use their patio for a BBQ and are very helpful with all of our needs. We will stay there again next year. The rooms were nice and Clean. People ready to help. There are longer than normal walks to the rooms.

After a planned trip to Ontario fell through, the kids were bummed out. So we decided to take a quick trip from Montreal to Plattsburgh. I have always visited for a few hours but not for two days..... We left Friday night to avoid issues at the border. The hotel is located basically off the I-87. Upon arrival, we noticed that the main entrance was blocked off. I found the alternate entrance and went to check in. We found out that a portion of the parking lot is being stripped for repaving. We got a room on the second floor at the farther end of the hotel. We drove to an access door that needed to be unlocked by our key card. I liked that. With the exception of a few rooms, access to the second floor is by stairs only. The room is of simple design. We had reserved a 2 double bedroom but opted for the kind and sofa bed. The king was fine but I think it needs to be replaced, The hide a bed definitely need to be replaced. but all served our purpose. The AC is great, very new with digital readouts Breakfast is included, usual fare, both hot and cold options. The pool is big, and there is direct access to some hotel rooms from the pool area For this trip, we visited Champlain mall for some shopping. 30 years ago, it was crazy with cross border shoppers, but now it has slowed down a lot. The food court is very lacking. We also visited Ausable Chasm. Amazing walking trails, and great views. Many tour options, though the best one which includes a raft ride was not available as water levels were too high and dangerous. My wife and kids did the walk very nicely and there was a shuttle trolley to take you back, if you were too tired to make the return trip on foot. Our dinner highlight was to the Texas RoadHouse. New place, not bad but is for another review Enjoy

Very clean and comfortable rooms, updated and fonctionnal exercise machines, great service. But what makes it very special is their breakfast, the best I have seen and we have stayed in almost 100 of them all over USA and Canada.

Stayed over for only 1 night. Hotel was perfect. Room was very clean,beds were comfortable. Full breakfast in the morning. Nice big pool and close to all of the shopping areas. I would reccomend a stay at this property!

Over all a good hotel. Good breakfast. My kids absolutely loved the pool. One downfall is it's a confusing layout so be prepared to walk if your at the far end and some of the arcade machines did take some of my kids money.

I stay at BW Plus in Plattsburgh for my business trips from Canada bi-weekly. The people are genuinely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the value for money is excellent.

Very helpful staff and clean hotel. We had a terrific day. There is plenty of parking. Also, this hotel is located very close to the interstate and numerous restaurants. We have stayed here in the past and it continues to be a great place to stay.

Hotel was clean, shuttle from airport was great, highly recommend for future visits! The fitness center and breakfast were great added bonuses. Rooms were nice, a little dark, but overall can't complain

Stayed here just to relax after having major surgery. The trip was much need after being inside for 2 months. The room had a wonderful jacuzzi tub. The pool was very refreshing and relaxing. The 2 restaurants were very good with great food and service. Will definitely be going back with the kids next time.

The Best Western Plus is well located ....easily accessible, very clean, and inviting. The rooms are A+. The pool area is spacious and beautiful ! Chairs, extra towels, perfect temperature... it's definitely a FUN experience ! The Breakfast area is again very nice, comfortable and very well kept...Plenty of choices and overall excellent ! On top of it all ... the staff is polite,concerned and helpful..... All is HERE for a pleasant stay!!

Rustik pool area, very scenic and comfortable. A lot of space to sit around the pool in either a beach type chair or sit at tables on either side of the pool. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable beds!

My dad had to be here in plattsburgh for thursday march 22 2019. The hospital CVPH helped us get a room for my parents and me and my cousin. We arrived Wednesday nite at 4pm. We were greeted by a young man, his name is dustin. He was so awesome. Very nice and polite and courteous. Anything we needed he helped us with a smile. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Its very clean and a great breakfast. We were so impressed by dustin i went and asked scott for dustin's name so we could give him a good review. I also asked scott his name he was on duty the next morning. He also was very nice and helpful and courteous. I love this place and plan on staying here from now on.

Very nice and clean hotel. Very comfortable bed! Breakfast buffet was delicious. The furniture in the room needs some updating, along with the heating unit. The heating fan was a little to loud, kept waking me up when it turned on.

I had an overnight stay 3/13 to 3/14 . My sister made the reservation for 5 rooms, we were in town for a funeral. One reason she chose the property is it is pet friendly, and I never" leave home without" her. A $1,500,000 refurbish was recently completed. The outcome is very neat and clean. I feel they could have spent a little more money since they got a good loan rate, staff told me about the arrangement. So, the story goes a bank was looking to relocate and the property owner leased the bank an adjoining piece of motel property for a 10 year term. In reciprocation the motel received an equally nice term for their loan for the renovation. Point being, it was looking to get the biggest bang for their buck. The complimentary breakfast is quite inclusive, the coffee is always available, it has computer access and a pool. The closet hangers are very chintzy, the don't take me kind because you won't be able to use them and the sliding closet doors need a bottle track. In a pinch it filled a need but I'd choose a different brand of pet friendly if I made the choice. I did not pay for the stay.

I checked in and was so badly greated , said I have emailed them the night befor for reservaction and to discuss the price and the lady at the counter told me it is impposible that I emailed them look it was just bad the second I put my two feet into the place.one thing I will admit is that it is very clean and the bed's are coffie...If you get to sleep , all we heard was kids running up and down the hallway and then they have sum kind of heater in the room that keeps going on ever 45 minutes and what a noise..We did not sllep all night..Would I go back to ( NEVER )...The front desk is not pleasant at all , you can not sleep due to all the nioise in the room...what a waist of my hard earn money...

We traveled to Plattsburgh NY to see the Gibson Brothers at the Strand Center. We stayed at Best Western. Our room was very nice and comfortable. The jacuzzi was perfect! Slept like a baby. The staff was friendly and helpful! Definitely would stay there again !!

My wife and I had a very nice suite with remarquable styling. My daughter and her husband came with us and slept on the pull out couch which was very comfortable. All in all, we had a nice stay and we feel that you can't go wrong with the Best Western at Smithfield!

We have been going to this hotel for years, I took my children when they were young wanted to take my grandchildren on February break, My daughter made reservation one month ahead two rooms pools side, prefer adjourning but side by side was ok arrive and find out somebody called the Arizona office and canceled our rooms. We would never call the Arizona office we call directly to the Plattsburgh office since we are only an hour away from home support the North Country, the only thing they could do was give us two regular rooms close to pool, did not want to disappoint my grand children so we took it, as we asked around pool side rooms both evenings to find out most of those people just book their rooms within a weeks time frame. So I do not know what really happen, so you can burn me once but not twice, I can tell you I will never be back nor will I ever recommend a best western hotel again.

We've been coming to this hotel for over 40 years when it was the Howard Johnson with my parents. We then came with our young children, with parents as well. Now we come with our adult children and grandchildren! We love the renovations Best Western Plus has done! Beautiful lobby and amazing breakfast area! And they've kept the poolside and pool view rooms !!! BEST CONCEPT EVER! It's like being in a resort, patio area outside your room with big round tables, access to pool from there. Perfect for snacking and playing board games. IDEAL for families!!! It's THE PERFECT SETUP! The hotel offers complimentary hot breakfast every day. Many great fresh selections to choose from! Perfect for families! Staff is friendly and helpful! We had a small hiccup at checkin. We mentioned it to Tricia the manager who is extremely gracious and friendly. She definitely listens to customer concerns and genuinely cares to make customer satisfaction a priority! Big kudos to Tricia!!! Also Erin at front desk is very helpful and accommodating! Thank you to both! We will definitely be back to make more family memories at Best Western Plus!

The staff were very friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and there were a lot of options for breakfast. It seems very family oriented and has a great location for anyone doing some shopping from Canada.

Always wonderfull to go there. By the pool is the best, the room are clean, breakfast is perfect and the restaurant...the food is so yummy. Vegetarian or meat lover will find what they want. We're always satisfied every time we go.

My friend and I went for a shopping spree in Plattsburgh this weekend. We stayed at this hotel because we are fans of Best Western (lots of pluses for what you pay) The rooms are always very clean and Nicely decorated. I have coeliac disease and travelling is often quite difficult, I brought my supper with me knowing there was a microwave and fridge in the room, I also brought my toaster bags and bread for breakfast. When I went for breakfast in the morning I was glad to see and to hear that there was counter space that was gluten-free and a dedicated gluten free toaster available upon request . The hostess was very helpful and Advised me that the eggs, bacon and potatoes were all gluten-free. It was so nice to be able to have breakfast like everyone else and not have any physical reaction afterwards. The staff at this hotel is very well informed and personable. I highly recommend

We had an amazing time at my grandson birthday party pool side everything was great.. can't wait to go back again! It's just February so we still have plenty of time for more pool side fun. Having the pool side rooms with children is the best.. no confined to a small room!!always a bonus if you book early enough!

Just got back from dropping my daughter off at college and we stayed here again. We have made this our “home” hotel for every time we drive her to school. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Davey at the front desk even remembered me from out last visit. Breakfast was great and a good variety for everyone in my family. The rooms were very clean and nice and warm. Next time in Plattsburgh make sure you stay here!

We have been long time customers of this hotel. We have been staying here since 1972. Some years we have stayed more than 30 times but won't go back. We noticed over the recent years especially the past 5 years it has seemed to go down hill fast. Customer service is terrible. The front desk workers change very quickly and they are young women who seem not to care at all about the hotels customers. They are rude and have no concern. Their day manager is just as bad. The only good staff there is the maintenance people that I see at the pool area. Our main issue is the partying that goes on in the pool side rooms. On our last stay the people in the room next to us were letting their friends in ( who did not have a room here ) in through the back doors. I know this for a fact because one of them told me himself. I guess they are locals that do this often. At one time I counted 25 people yelling and drinking next to our patio table by the pool. Front desk wouldn't do a thing. We actually felt unsafe and threatened. When we spoke to the young women at the front desk in the morning she basically said to stay somewhere else if you don't like it. That's exactly what we did. We went over to the Comfort Inn next door where we had a great stay. These problems could be resolved with good staff or having the owner on hand to oversee things. There are a lot of hotels in Plattsburgh to choose from and I would not recommend this plac.

We have been to this hotel many times. Always had a great time. This year we had three rooms for family and enjoyed the first couple of days. The problem arose when we went into the pool....it did not look clean....in fact it appeared to have feces in it. We called the desk and the pool was immediately closed. There was only one other family there who had earlier quickly all left the pool. Apparently they had called the desk to say there was "something " in the pool. After much discussion with the staff, they had been called previously concerning the aforementioned family's children noisily running around and into our room!! Also in the middle of the night the parents had been locked out of the room by the children and were banging on the patio door. When we asked them to quiet down, they just laughed. Nightmare neighbours!, Although the staff was polite and realized that there was a problem with these guest's they tried to move them to another floor....but they refused to be moved. We were very disappointed, but decided to leave. The aggravation was just more than we could take. I realize that this was a very difficult problem for the staff and they did try to resolve it. I do fell it's a shame that the people who are not causing all the problems are the ones to leave. Unfortunately I don't think we will ever come back to this hotel.

spouse has multiple medical appointments in Plattsburgh (too many/too often) we always stay atBestwestern. Great location to malls/restaurants. Friendly/professional staff. Gain reward points onevery stay. Great place to stay.

Great experience. Great location with everything you could want under one roof. We used the lounge for a couple of beers and had a great time. We ate off property and should have stayed on the property .

A great place to stay, a fabulous restaurant on premises,a mall across the way and close to downtown- it has all you need while in Burlington close by. If you want to walk to downtown, you can or uber is available and very accommodating, The hotel has a great inside salt water pool and and outside pool for the summer.

Always nice to stay at a BW! It is our home away from home! The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The pool area is to die for!!!! It is so rustik and relaxing. We dont stay anywhere else for our vacations.

Let's face it, you shouldn't expect to find a five-star property in Plattsburgh, and you won't, but the Best Western is a safe bet if you're looking to stay overnight in the area, as we did on a quick one-night get away an hour from home during the holidays. The hotel is clean, both in the common areas and the rooms, the staff friendly and the beds comfortable enough. There's a nice pool with a mini-arcade though the kids weren't in the mood to partake in either during our most recent trip. Included breakfast is nice, and the hotel is in close proximity to most of what you would most likely be doing in Plattsburgh (shopping, restaurants, etc.). My only complaint would be the HVAC system which it seems offers you a choice of either freezing all night (or I'm guessing being extremely hot in the summer) or having to endure a very loud noise emanating from it sporadically throughout the night as it cycles on and off, which makes getting a good, uninterrupted, night's sleep a challenge.

Perfect hotel for those traveling with children. Awesome pool area and pool side rooms. Great amenities on site including breakfast, fitness center and sports pub type restaurant. Staff was welcoming aff very pleasant

A portable heater would be useful in winter. Restaurants are attached, or close by. Everything worked. Towels were new and soft, HW was plentiful. During the winter you may want an upstairs room to get the benefit of heat from downstairs.

This hotel is always awesome- the renovations look fantastic. The service was terrific, the pool was spotless and warm, breakfast was more than amazing, and the restaurants are top notch. 99 is attached and Ground Round is right across the lot, a very short walk.

Maybe our 3rd or 4th time here.. Always nice. amaing staff. They have done renos and the breakfast place is much bigger and with lots more hot food. Very nice.Walking distance to everything and 10% off at Ground Round wwhich wa also very good.. We had a free night due to points Love BW for that..

I love it when I stay in Plattsburgh. As i walk in, I get greeted with smiles from Rebecca. she knows where I like my room (close to the entrance). Hands me my keys and off I go. Location has a full service restaurant inside and another outside. Indoor pool, breakfast, arcades and games for the kids. Their fitness center is one of the better ones out there. Stay here and enjoy!

The pool side rooms are the best, the breakfast is free and I have gluten free family members and the menu caters to them as well, staff is very friendly, and a shopping mall with a movie theather is in walking distance

The weekend we choose was a holiday weekend therefore the hotel was busy. The front desk were all smiles and very helpful. All our questions were answered before we asked them. Room was large enough for the two of us, lots of light, one queen bed very comfortable, writing desk with chair and a lounge chair. Bathroom was clean. The hotel was very quiet considering the holiday weekend.

I don't think you can top what you already do. This is I believe my 3 or 4 time staying at the Plattsburgh, NY Best Western and I continue to be in awe in how smooth everything runs or how helpful the staff is with any of my requests or queries. Why even down to the ketchup bottle.. yes, ketchup bottle, I was having the warm delicious breakfast when I decided some ketchup was needed. Got up and grabbed one of the bottles on the counter and when I flipped the lid open.. wow... it was perfectly CLEAN!! Rarely at home or in other food establishments is the ketchup bottle top clean of any ketchup residue. So this was a biggie for me* It seems the establishment is properly managed and that trickles down to the staff. I see it in how they genuinely want to help or take care of any issues that arise. Im VERY happy with this establishment and will continue to stay there while visiting Plattsburgh. GREAT JOB ALL AROUND!!!!! Thank you, DEFINITELY see you on my next return trip!!!

We keep returning because this property has it all, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. It is clean, well managed and the staff are there to help.The poolside area is like being in a resort. To that end, even my children and grand children have started to go there keeping up with a family tradition. Even the breakfast room is open until 10:00 am weekdays and 10:30 on weekends. When you write a review on this facility, it is the owner that responds directly not a manager.

Clean, friendly check-in staff, very roomy. Wish I could have had the breakfast , liked great, but was short on time. Room was quiet, internet easy to access.check in was fast and easy, front desk area very open.

This Best Western was close to the highways so it was convenient to stay. The hotel is clean and freshly decorated. The staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Overall a good spot to rest for the night.

The Best Western in Plattsburgh is the perfect place for an extended weekend family vacation. It has great facilities and is conveniently located with LOTS to do in the local area for families. We were pleasantly surprised by the facility, location, and the people of Plattsburgh!! What a great city! We will be back!!

We always stay here. The staff is amazing. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. And soooo clean. It is where we stay because of the staff and how clean it is. The rooms are always very clean and the cleaning staff is so helpful if you need anything. Close to shopping!

This hotel was a good find. Clean, comfortable and convenient. Several nice places to eat within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. Our bathroom was very clean and the staff at the deck was friendly and helpful.

This is a nice place to stay in Plattsburgh and has a number of amenities you won't always find in every hotel: free parking, in-door, heated pool, fitness room, game arcade, free wi-fi in every room (not just the lobby), and daily breakfast buffet. Lots of reviews say the breakfast is "okay" but look, they have to cook for hundresd of people, so you're not going to get a "made-to-order" omelet station. The food was hot and tasty, the coffee was very good (Seattle's Best) and the dining room was clean. Comfortable beds and clean towels rounded the trip out. Definitely ejoyed my stay, and would return.

Check in was timely and the receptionist courteous and helpful. Entered the room and was pleasantly surprised not only with the cleanliness but the furnishes as well. Wife thought the bed was the most comfortable she had ever slept in. She attributed it to the quality of the sheets. There is a pool and fitness center. Another surprise was walking in and seeing the extent of the breakfast. Real plates and silver and not paper and plastic. Breakfast selections a nice assortment. friendly and courteous. We had a quick trip for our sons soccer game. Great hotel. Clean, friendly with a great breakfast! The coffee was excellent. It was nice to have the restaurant right next to the hotel and it was excellent as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Very close to NY87 which was extremely convenient. Also in walking distance to a few malls and restaurants. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel was very good and moderately priced. They also have a great breakfast included in the room price.

I was passing through twice so I stayed here both of those times. The staff was nice and the breakfast was great. The room was clean and I dig the colors they chose to paint it. No boring beige here. See you again someday...

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night in a business trip. Generally speaking, the hotel is clean, spacious and the room was satisfactory. The pool looked nice but I had no time to enjoy it. I would have preferred to find a shower cap in the bathroom instead of having to call housekeeping to get it. As I didn't have time for that, I just used the laundry bag. Also, we had hard time to find the entrance. The signs are very misleading.

I was very pleased with our stay this past weekend. We had two separate reservations one for Friday night and one for Saturday night. We requested that we would be able to stay in the same room that we checked into the 1st night, they called the booking company and was able to make it happen! We did not have to switch rooms which was very nice. The room was great the only downside is we had two double beds which is kinda small for two people in each room but they were clean and comfy. The breakfast they provide in the morning was great too, very well maintained and a good selection. We will absolutely will stay here again!

We have been staying at this Hotel for over 20 years and it was always a great experience like my other rating mentioned but this time was very disapointing. We had our room 50 minutes late, the a/c in our suit was blowing hot air. We explain the situation to the establishment and all they had for us is that they were sorry. We were supposed to have a suit with 2 rooms but we were not able to stay in the living area temperature was over 80, no compensation offered.

The hotel is in a perfect location for biking around Lake Champlain. The refrigerator is a good size, king size bed is comfortable, breakfast is plentiful and tasty, except for the strange round, dry 'bacon'.

My two kids and I stayed here and it was great. Location was amazing, staff was great. We had a pool room which my kids loved and the easy access to the pool was very nice. A little warmer in the pool area then expected but as long as in the water all was good.

Wasn't a terrible stay but it was far from what we expected based on the rating. Upon entry into the room you can definitely tell that at some point it was a smoking room. It was updated and neat and clean on the plus side. Another downside was the paper thin walls that let you hear more noise than we're used to. I reported an apparent party going on in the room next to us and it seemed like the staff was able to settle it down some. Enough for us to get back to sleep finally. Next time through the area we'll definitely stay at a different place.

This Best Western was among the nicer that I've stayed at. It has all the amenities you would expect. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. They pointed out that a 99 restaurant was attached and that it beyond the Ground Round next door offered discounts to guests. They even took the time to call regarding hours of operation. The rooms were lovely and ours had a sliding door to a small patio. The grounds are well-maintained although there are views of parking lots everywhere. Breakfast was adequate, though not special. There is a lovely garden area where you can relax and forget how close you are to shopping centers and the highway. I would certainly stay again.

I would say I enjoyed staying here as much as I enjoyed staying at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Counter staff: amazing! Always positive and helpful! The Room: Excellent soundproofing and knock-out blinds, VERY comfortable bed, pillows, bedding. VERY clean. Tons of on-site amenities (pool, business center, exercise room, free wi-fi w/strong signal, etc). Sure, the layout is a little sprawling and can be a bit confusing, but I had it down by day 2. As a vegetarian, I was blown away by the "continental" breakfast. I was expecting stale bagels/croissants if I was lucky, was greeted each morning with fresh pastries, coffee, oatmeal + toppings, yogurt, waffle bar, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, it was extensive and I was thrilled. Also, very pet-friendly. No complaints whatsoever. I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

The rooms, the pool, the service, all were excellent. They were all, downright exceptional. The breakfast, however, was pitiful. The eggs were terrible, and there were no fruit, no cheese, nothing except from the waffle bar. Not good at all. sorry.

Stayed here on an overnight stop. Very friendly employees at the front desk. Rooms are very clean and very spacious. Beds are comfortable. Had reserve 2 double bed room and one mattress was very soft and the other harder since this was perfect for us. The location is just off interstate 87. Close to restaurant and shopping. Would highly recommend this place.

We have made this hotel our new home base since my daughter has decided to go to the college in the town. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. They let us check in early. The breakfast is great. The rooms were very clean and neat. Staff was knowledgeable about things to do in the area. I have recommended this hotel to my friends and family and will continue to do so.

This hotel is a very clean hotel. We loved having a Bike Wash station to clean all the road grime off our Harley. There is a Ground Round restaurant next door that gave a 10% discount for hotel guest. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

We found this newly renovated hotel to be a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was large and well stocked. There were two groups staying at the hotel when we were there, and the breakfast tables were full. But the ladies working in kitchen worked very hard to keep food and coffee fresh and hot. One very nice point was that breakfast was served on china plates with 'real' silverware - not paper plates and the plastic forks found in most 'free breakfast' hotels. We would stay at this hotel again, and would recommend it to others.

This is a motel style that has been beautifully renovated . Rooms and public spaces have been redone fairly contemporary however there is still a bit of an older odor in the breakfast area. I would give it a higher rating but as I entered to shower there was a whole bunch of hair on the wall . I was so grossed out and even through the bed and room appeared very clean I was worried all night that if they didn't clean the bathrooms thoroughly then maybe they hadn't cleaned the beds well. Hopefully this was not typical of the cleaning at this hotel. Otherwise location was convenient.

We stayed at the Best Western Plattsburgh for just one night with our 2 kids and our small dog. The night we were there we opened up a pull out couch to find a big brown stain and also a faded stain around the big brown one. We called front fldesk and asked them to replace it. The lady came to our room, said she didn't have another mattress and just turned the mattress around. The next day when we check out we received a phone call stating that our dog peed on the floor and they would charge us $50. Although we cannot say for sure if our dog did or didn't, we unfortunately accepted this fee and they charged our card. Then they called us again and told us there is a stain on the mattress and they needed to charge us $200. THAT WAS THE DISGUSTING STAIN THAT WAS ALREADY THERE, that my husband was forced to sleep on. They claim our did did it even though our dog never er even goes up on any furniture including sofas or beds. Why would they charge us for a mattress that was already damaged, and we were the ones that brought it up to them to begin with?? Please save your money and go somewhere else. These people have no decency and don't believe me even though I know what I am saying is the truth. THEY EVEN DELETED MY COMMENTS ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE to sweep this under the rug. Terrible hotel. We will continue to fight to get our money bag as this was not our fault.

I took my family for a one night stay and rented on of the suits. I slept on the pull out couch on which I discovered a large brown stain on the mattress. I called the front desk who came and gave me linens to cover it. They turned it around the opposite way and did not replace or offer another mattress. I am accommodating so I let it go. The following day July 9th we left. I was told there was a pee stain on the floor and would need to be paid for. I did bring my dog and although I did not see him do it thought it within reason that I could have missed it and paid 50$ plus tax. Later in the day “ Dave “ the front desk manager called and said the pullout mattress had a pee stain on it. I slept on that mattress myself! The very same mattress I called in about a stain. They claim it was wet and smelled. My dog did not sleep on the mattress with me. They are charging me 200 dollars for the mattress! I told them in no way would I pay for a mattress, that already stained and disgusting they would have the nerve to tell me to pay for it. Secondly I did not pee on the mattress! I can assure everyone that. I am a 39 year father in good shape. They went ahead and charged my card anyways! Best Western has insulted me. The mattress already needed to be replaced and they know that and then call me to blame me , the man who accepted to sleep in said dirty mattress. I will never use the chain again, I will contact their corporate offices and expect a full reienbursment of the 200$ plus tax for the pull out couch mattress. What frustrates me the most is I was very accommodating about the large brown stain on the mattress in the first place.

This is a wonderful place to stay. This property is quaint inside and out. Our room was spacious and clean. The pool area is very large and inviting. They offer cookies in late afternoon. Coffee and tea all day. Check in and out was fast and friendly. Breakfast had quite a few items to choose from including but not limited to waffles, eggs, self serve yogurt, cereal etc. The breakfast area stayed well stocked. I would definitely come back to stay if I'm the area.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Plattsburg for a couple of days as we traveled through the Adirondacks. We arrived in the evening and the fellow at the desk was quite friendly. He told us all about recent renovations that had taken place and informed us about what the hotel had to offer. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. The best feature of the hotel is its swimming pool; large, heated and indoor! The breakfast was okay, but not as good as I have had at some other Best Western Hotels. And the price is a bit on the high side for what the hotel has to offer. But such is true for hotels in the area. Would I stay there again? Yes, absolutely, but only if I could find a discounted rate.

Didn't expect too much at this motel in Plattsburgh NY; the daily fee was so reasonable. WHAT A SHOCKER: 1. The staff was so accommodating. Tricia Chase, Manager, was delightful and so efficient 2. Very relaxing nice breakfast daily (large assortment of food). Coffee available all day.(all complimentary) 3. The room was clean and comfortable. Can't think of any downside.

We went to visit our daughter at college, she had a medical emergency. We requested the room by the pool, thinking we can use the table and chairs provided outside your room, it was warm and we figured relaxing. We had the complete opposite experience. The pool area was so loud, children unsupervised running all over the place, adults drinking by the pool. I am ok with it up until the pool closes but this went on until 1am. We did complain to the front desk, nothing happened. The next night the same thing, now at this point, we did not have hot water. We complained again, nothing happened. When we did check out my husband complained and got sorry there was nothing we can do. I complained to the company and they offered a upgrade to our status as a member, That does nothing for us. We will never stay there again. Customer service was terrible, no security, no control. The hot water does not work if multiple people take showers. Not worth it.

Always a great experience. The staff goes above and beyond to help you. We arrived a little early however, they were able to get us in our room. Really appreciated this effort. We stay here every couple of years and always receive a great receiption.

Our recent stay in May, 2018, at the Best Western hotel in Plattsburgh, New York, takes hotel nightmares to new heights! Eight hours after having checked out from our room (it was an overnight stay to catch a flight from the Plattsburgh airport), we received a call announcing that the hotel had taken $405 from our credit card in order to pay for a TV they claimed we had smashed. I can appreciate that clients do break things and walk away, but to be falsely accused and made to pay for something we did not do with no possibility of defending ourselves was indeed insulting to us personally and to any sense of American justice. When we flew back to Plattsburgh the following week, we re-visited the hotel to politely insist on our innocence but to no avail - we were told that their verification system was fool-proof and that we had to be guilty. We then contacted Mark, Best Western's supervisor of customer relations at their head office in Phoenix, and felt that we had successfully made our case, only to receive an email the next day from Julie Kramer, Vice President and CFO of the Nine Platt Hospitality Group, detailing their proof that we had done the damage: a photograph of the door, the smashed TV, our check out time and the time that the housekeeping staff came in and discovered the damaged TV. Case closed. Guilty! We then came to the frightening realization that the $405 could have been $1000 or even $5000! Once Best Western has your credit card and you've signed their agreement to pay for property damage, they can charge you anything they want and are only limited by the value of the damaged object documented in a photograph that they themselves take! Perhaps we should we feel fortunate that they didn't charge us more! At Best Western in Plattsburgh, New York, we were treated like criminals. If that's what you're into, go for it. For ourselves, once was enough.

I have been a BW Rewards member for 20 years, so always choose a BW property when one is available. We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and have always been happy. Great location, friendly and professional staff, and clean, comfortable rooms. We avoid pet-friendly hotels as a rule, but have always requested and always gotten a pet-free corridor and room. The hotel has been renovated since the last time we were there, with a new and improved breakfast room, a comfortable business center, and of course, the rooms. Our room was lovely, with new furniture, a teal accent wall, and green accents. Super trendy, very calming, really so pretty. The artwork in the bathroom even matched. And speaking of the bathroom, it had a new vanity and fixtures (but a ripped shower curtain). The bathtub and surround would have benefited from at least a glazing if replacing them was not in the budget as both were chipped, stained, and clearly old. (As was the ceiling tile that looks like styrofoam.) Breakfast was awesome as always with lots of choices. Okay, so that's the good part. Now for the disappointing part . . . There is a glass shelf in the bathroom, and it was full of sticky residue from I have no idea what. We didn't need the space, so just ignored it. It held a worn, pilly, faded washcloth that said ''makeup remover''. Okay, I get that they don't want to have their white towels stained with makeup, but that thing was disgusting. Who would use it? Other hotels have little disposable towelettes which would be a nice option, but I mean It's not required to provide makeup remover and this rag belongs in the trash. The towels in the bathroom were all damp, like they hadn't had enough time in the dryer. Not a huge issue, but they were still damp the next morning. The hair dryer now comes in a cloth bag, and hangs on the back of the bathroom door. You know it's the hair dryer because the bag says so, in the same print as the makeup remover rag. It matched that rag well actually because it was filthy, stained with who knows what. Just gross. I wouldn't want to know what the hair dryer inside looked like but happily, I didn't need to find out so ignored that too. But here's what we couldn't ignore . . . when turning down the beds, we discovered hair on all the pillows. We had 2 beds, so 6 pillows, and each one had hair on them. One even had pubic hair on it. Not kidding here. I called the front desk. The guy I spoke to said ''I apologize for that. The maids are supposed to wear hair nets but sometimes they don't''. And that's all he said, like that was supposed to suffice. I told him we had 6 pillows with hair, we were disgusted, and something needed to be done immediately. He asked if we would like new pillows. A few minutes later, a different guy appeared with 3 pillows. We showed him all the hairy pillows (which he removed), the gross bathroom shelf and hair dryer, and he agreed all were unacceptable and said he hoped the maids weren't getting sloppy because they'd had that problem before. We wondered whether the pillow cases had actually been changed, that made us wonder if the sheets had been changed, and by then we were just grossed out entirely. The next morning when I was in the shower, I used the supplied shampoo only to discover the bottle was almost empty. Not a big deal because I always bring my own anyway, but again, just a reminder that the room really hadn't been properly cleaned and prepared with any attention. Look, the hotel is nice and I still recommend it. We obviously had bad luck in the maid department but it was disturbing enough that I think it'll be awhile until we want to stay there again.

A quick visit in Plattsburgh at this well maintained property was a pleasure with all employees being helpful, friendly and happy. The included breakfast had several options and was kept neat and full even when 30 people came through.

this place is clean and always enjoyable to stay at. May things to do in the area. SO many restaurant selections too it is great. This has to be one of my favorite best westerns i stay at. The staff is always kind and respectful.

We stayed here two nights and found the room to be very comfy, clean and spacious. They do an incredible breakfast as well, including real dishes, not paper! Great location too with many stores close by and restaurants too.

The room was very nice and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Everything in our room was very neat and clean. Our only issue was the mattress on our bed left us with a bit of a sore back. The breakfast menu was excellent and very good.

We stayed recently in a pet-friendly room. Room was clean and well-appointed. We left a bowl of water and dry food for the dog; woke up the next morning and both dishes, the carpet, and the cabinet holding the microwave and refrigerator were covered with hundreds of ants. If I had seen the ants earlier in the evening we would have checked out. I spend 175+ nights a year in hotels and have never had ants!

The hotel is very nice and reasonable with two restaurants within 100ft of the hotel which is very convenient. Friendly staff and a very clean hotel. We were treated like family when we checked in and checked out. Very nice pool and nice size rooms

This is a fine, clean roadside hotel. Convenient location. Some decent amenities. There was, through no one at the hotel's fault blackout while I was staying here. Annoying to be sure. The staff did everything they could to be pleasant and informative. Nice gym. Good pool. Great parking. This was one of the best Best Westerns at which I've stayed.

The rooms are always clean, the bathroom's been updated. Pool is large but in order to get a room by the pool you have to book 2 nights, that's a drawback, also no jacuzzi. The breakfast is the best of the hotels in plattsburgh. Front desk always has fresh cookies, a nice touch. Also coffee & tea is always available in the breakfast room. Great access to Restaurant 99 without walking outside.

This hotel was in a convenient location less than a half a mile off the interstate. They have a large pool which is good for the family. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance and the 99 restaurant is attached to the hotel. There is plenty of parking and the hotel is clean and the staff is friendly.

The staff is amazing. They accommodate your every need as well as their professional behavior at all times. A truly exceptional experience. The general manager of the hotel is personally involved with ensuring all guests are satisfied. Rooms have all of the amenities needed for traveling.

I was traveling on the Northway from Albany and decided to find a spot to stay over during an evening rainstorm. After exiting the highway I saw the bright Best Western Plus. It was an easy entrance and looked like there were a lot of amenities in the area. I was very surprised to find such a great facility that had rooms without a reservation. This Best Western is really a PLUS in every way. Clean, comfortable, convenient. A very helpful and friendly staff. I had a great evening an returned to road relaxed and refreshed! Stayed for a one night getaway with the Grand children. Great service and rooms. The staff bent over backwards to make sure our stay was great. The new breakfast area is beautiful and the food was excellent. Would have no problem coming back again.

I've stayed at this hotel on quite a few times and I'm always extremely pleased with this hotel. This part of New York is very rural and there isn't anything going north until Montreal and nothing going south until Lake George. This is a perfect halfway point when I'm going to Quèbec City. The price is always fair. The staff here really care about the guests. There is a big and beautiful pool that you can enjoy for hours. It's a short distance off I-87 at Exit 37. It's quiet and not too close to the highway and there are a lot of food and gas and shopping options in the area. This is a definite must stop in either direction. Not much either way. But this place has everything you'll ever need. I will return again and again.

I can't understand why some guests have left a less than 100% review of this hotel. I can't imagine how to improve it .. considering the room prices they charge. The hotel owner has his office in the hotel and he takes care of it like his own home. I booked directly with the friendly staff working the front desk of the hotel. I wanted a room near the pool, one king bed, in a quiet area and my requests were met perfectly The hotel was clean, quiet, room temperature easily varied, near several big box and specialty stores, they have two restaurants on site, one of them a smaller, laid back version of a 'Texas Roadhouse' Breakfast had about 100 individual items. Juices, milk, coffees, teas, porridge, various cereals, jogurt with various toppings, eggs, sausages, gravy, biscuits, breads, muffins, bagels and the 'make your own waffles'. We are from Canada and stay there when we make a longer shopping trip to Plattsburgh. Heads up guys .. Harbor Freight is very close .. I stock up on tools to utilise my personal exemption for being away for 48 hours. The taxes we save at the border pays for our room! Altogether a great place but the special thing that brings us back, trip after trip is the very large, indoor, heated swimming pool .. absolutely delicious!

My family booked two rooms for two nights at Best Western Plus. Everything was very clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to have been ungraded and the new look is great. Breakfast was plentiful. The pool was clean and well-maintained. We really had a great time. I will definitely go back.

Best Western Hotel in Plattsburgh is a nice and clean hotel. However, we did not feel welcome. We checked in around 11:30 pm at after a long drive from Canada and were very surprised to learn that we would not be able to use the pool after our check out at 11:00 am the next day. We had our kids with us who were extremely tired and slept until 9 am which only left us with enough time to eat breakfast which ends at 10:30 am. We asked if it was possible to extend our stay until noon given that we checked in so late and were told that was not possible. The pool was the reason we chose this hotel. If we wanted to just spend the night, we would have gone for a simpler and cheaper option. All hotels we stayed in before allowed us to use the amenities after the room has been vacated so Best Western stands out in a negative way. The front desk reluctantly gave us a few small bottles of water for the four of us saying that they normally charge for regular size bottles. I don't think we will ever use this chain again.

we arrived on Sunday afternoon about 230 the room we requested near the pool were not ready he advised they should be in about 1/2 hour we left and went to the mall returned about 410 and the new clerk we spoke with advised the rooms still weren't ready after a short discussion he had with the manager they upgraded us to a pool side room which we thought was extremely kind as we were willing to wait the staff were very accommodating and pleasant the room was fantastic very clean the breakfast was fabulous great stay thanks

At our arrival we were quickly greeted by two friendly staff members. They answered all our questions. We had dinner at the 99 restaurant. Very affordable and they serve excellent food. Since the restaurant is in the same building; it was very convenient to walk to our room after dinner. We will do yhis again.

I treated myself to the queen suite as a birthday present, just to get a night away. It was such a good idea I think I'm going to make it a yearly tradition! Beautiful hotel, clean rooms. The bed was so comfortable! The best nights sleep I've had in months! Also the jacuzzi tub was such a good choice, will definitely be staying again in the future!

I was so impressed with this hotel! I booked online and almost instantly got a call back from very helpful Denise; I had requested a pool side room in the notes section, but had not picked the right type of room. We were a bunch travelling together, and she fixed us all up! The hotel itself is showing some signs of age, but it is very clean and well maintained. But the real heros here are the staff! Everyone we met was helpful and so pleasant. It is clear that customer service is the culture at this hotel. If you want a truly pleasant experience, go to this hotel. We will be coming back next Christmas! In fact perhaps we have started a new tradition.

Perfect for what we needed, as one of us became very ill on our travels. Great bed, great dinner, warm and friendly. coffee in the morning was fantastic, and we are persnickety about our coffee. Would stay here again if we find ourselves in upstate NY.

We always receive excellent service and the hotel is very comfortable! It's very convenient that it has a restaurant attached and a pool making it a nice cozy getaway when it's cold outside. You don't have to leave the hotel because everything is at your disposal!!!

We came down from Ontario for a weekend away and stayed at this great hotel. Check in was pleasant and prompt. Room was clean, roomy and close to where we had parked around back. Numerous doors allows for reasonably close parking to your room. Room was equip with Mini fridge, microwave, cable or satellite tv lots of channels all in tune, king sized bed, hide a bed and full bathroom with ample hot water, and windows that open! Breakfast buffet was loaded with a great variety of cereals, yoghurts, breads, muffins, cereal toppings, fresh fruits, eggs, sausages, waffles, juices and coffees. Perfect for little finicky eaters. All the staff we encountered on our stay were warm and welcoming. The most amazing thing about this hotel is the pool it is BIG and clean and goes to 9 feet deep. Great for swimming laps and large enough for lots of people to enjoy. The pool area is well equipped with fresh towels and lots of seating all around the pool including a second level where visitors can sit right outside there room at pool side. Both the second floor and first have safety gates to keep little one safe! Joined to the hotel is a great restaurant Ninety9. Good food, friendly service and reasonably priced. Here our little one wanted a bowl of whipping cream for dessert and they didn't hesitate to fulfill her wish. About 100 feet is another restaurant Ground Round went there for lunch good food nothing particularly special. Another great feature is this hotel is 1 min drive to Champlain Mall and it is big. Lots of shoppes to choose from. We definitely will be back super clean, easy access to what we were going for and of course our daughters now favourite pool. Thanks for a great weekend look forward to coming back.

Great hotel, many updates done and they continue to renovate. The pool area is the largest I have ever seen with lots of room around the pool for family to gather and socialize while in the pool. Breakfast was delicious and well set up.

This is a very nice Best Western. The entire hotel is very clean, well run and inviting. The room was large and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a hotel. The staff are friendly. The internet service very reliable. Pool area very nice and a great breakfast is offered. Free and easy parking. I just loved this particular Best Western.

We really like this place for location and the indoor pool. Wish they had a hot tub..Oh well. Anyway great customer service.. Leanne checked us in and we had a problem with our points Call BW and got is fixed.. Tricia the MAnager wa amaing too.. Go out of their way.. SAm was also very ehlpful came to ou room to help with the A?C unit.. Great palce. and good breakfast..

The Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh is the perfect location if you are going for shopping. The poolside rooms are ideal if you intend to use the pool during your stay because access is super easy and convenient. The break fast included in the stay is very good. The waffles and eggs were my favorite. The coffee was also good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I received a better rate at check-in because of the staff member who went above and beyond for us. I was very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of our room however. There was a thick visible layer of dust on the lamp shades, atop the headboard and a few other areas. Cobwebs around the base if the floor lamp spoke to an overall lack of thorough cleaning. Although I reported this to the front desk and was assured it would be addressed. It was not. That was disappointing. Very comfortable beds and a good overall stay otherwise.

I have stayed at this Best Western several times in the past few years and have always found it to be a great experience. The staff have always been great, the accommodations clean & comfortable, and the breakfast top-notch.

Our third trip to this BW...We must compliment the housekeeping staff. My husband I were not early risers nor did we leave the room very much. Yet when we did go out for a late supper, we came back to a tidy room, beds made, trash cleaned. We were impressed. Thank you for being patient and thorough!

The hotel was close to the college. It had a great indoor pool. (large,clean, and well lit) The breakfast was great (plenty of choices) The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I have no complaints.

We stayed at BW+ because we were on our way to Canada from Pennsylvania, and we were bringing our dog with us. The hotel is pet friendly. The pool also was a plus for our kids. There are plenty of food options around the hotel too.

The facilities were clean and well kept and the staff was helpful and friendly. The pool was EXCELLENT - large pool, bright room with a game room to boot. Our room was quiet even though it was near an exterior entry. The attached restaurant was nice so you don't have to "go out" in the cold.

A nice hotel with great rooms. Nice decor and spacious. Bed was firm, clean and fresh smelling, the room was spotless. They need some coasters for the wood tables and night stands, they were so nice I did not want to put my drink on them. The "window" was a glass door to the outside. It was small and in the corner and very different. It was dark when we got there and dark when we left so the view was not important. Next time though I will request a room on the outside 2nd floor. They have a balcony and I'll be spending more time. Hotel itself is a quick on and off the Interstate, lots of nearby shopping and dining available. Conference room was under construction while we were there, but it did not bother us, you have to fix things up sometime and it was clean around the area. Hotel manager Tricia was really nice, professional and fun to talk to. Gave us some pointers on the area and made sure to welcome us back anytime. You can't pay people to be nice, they just are. Hotel has a 99's attached to it. Good burgers and a Balsamic chicken my wife liked,but ..... it's fast food. There is a Ground round at the other end of the parking lot, so we're going there next time. Same thing I suppose. There is a Butcher Block nearby though. We were too late when we arrived to get back in the car again

Davy, The manager on duty went out of his way to fix an issue with booking (not an issue with this Hotel) I booked using points and the voucher I had was not for the level this Hotel was. He retracted my voucher and re entered the points into my account and re issued a voucher for the current cost of the Level hotel this was...Thank you very much. Great places to eat nearby...

From check in to check out the friendly and helpful staff made my stay fantastic . Room was clean and comfortable . Enjoyed the pool as well . Front desk was professional , friendly and extremely helpful , they went over and beyond to make my stay amazing

The room was cold, the heating was not working. There were double instead of queen beds, and we were super far from everything. The food was great, a great variety, the pool LOOKED beautiful and the arcade was very enticing for my 11 year old son, but unfortunately we were far from all and when we were able to use them, they were closed..

We checked in early and a room was ready, but it was past the restaurant and across the parking lot. Our room was on the second floor, no elevator. It wasn't easy finding the place, so many driveways. There was a road near our room that went back to a mall. We didn't have any noise issues. Breakfast was near the lobby. We walked through the parking lot instead of the maze of hotel, several stinky buses were running. The breakfast seating area was fairly large, but when the soccer girls came in, the food area got crazy! The were everywhere.

The exterior of the hotel was something to be desired. We could not even figure out how to enter the parking lot. The building itself looked old and run down and it looked low budget. Our bed was comfortable. Our remote control did not work for the TV. The toilet tissue holder fell off the wall the first time the bathroom was used and the bathtub stopper did not work. There was a strong cigarette smell emanating from the hallway into our room. Overall, not a great stay.

Traveling all over the country and Canada like I do takes a lot out of you,not seeing home much ! when you have a hotel experience as I did at the Best Western in Plattsburg,NY. with a friendly and helpful staff really brings the feeling of home a little closer during these travels ! We booked this hotel for the weekend October 14 to October 15 with another family and it was amazing. The Hotel was very clean, great staff, clean rooms and a Buffet Breakfast. In the Downtown area where we were close to the Malls for shopping, groceries and more. I would recommend anyone looking for a place in Plattsburgh that's the place to be. I want to thank the staff there for a great service. For sure I will be booking there again in the futur.

The location is central, just off the Interstate 87, about 20 minutes from downtown but close to a mall and shopping centre. There are 2 restaurants associated with the hotel and other restaurants within walking distance. The room (king bed) was very clean, appeared to be recently renovated, and equipped with a bar fridge and microwave. There is free wifi and free buffet breakfast. The breakfast is basic but hot and hearty. The front desk staff (Denise, Dustin, Davey and Leanna) are tops, not just efficient but friendly, accommodating and they make you smile. Customer service seems to be well taught as even the staff we encountered in the hallways greeted us with a "Good morning/Good afternoon" whenever we passed by them. There is a heated indoor pool which we didn't use, but was very popular. All-in-all, a great value hotel with super staff and one that we would stay at again in Plattsburgh.

Good value for money - reception friendly, efficient and smiling! Good facilities for those of us on a road trip and travelling - laundry/washing machine a must after travelling.... Good breakfast included in pricing, which a lot of 'run down' motels charging similar prices do NOT include. Did not try out swimming pool or other facilities. Parking good. Internet OK.

Easy to find. They were nice at the front desk. We walked over to the Ground Round for dinner, and had a discount coupon form the hotel as well. The breakfast nook had lots of options, it was pretty busy when we swung down, but we don't usually eat much for breakfast anyway. Would recommend this place to stay, very clean and met expectations. Didn't go to the pool either, possibly would have if we were there for more than a night.

The Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh NY was a great place to stay! The staff were very friendly, the place was clean and the Breakfast buffet was very spacious and comfortable. The food was ok. My only complaint was that the pool room needed better ventilation! It was way to hot in the pool room.

This hotel is pet friendly and that is why we stayed here.It has friendly staff and nice rooms.It could use a table and chairs in our king room to eat at in stead of a big empty area.The hotel is about to update some common areas...hopefully bigger breakfast area.Breakfast was good overall and included.The pool area and pool is great.The hotel is spread out so you might have to walk a lot and no elevator but it is only 2 floors so not important.We will stay here again if we have our pets with us.Our room was clean and like the 2nd.floor ceilings. Stayed at the Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh for one night. The staff was great. The room was clean, well kept and the bedding was comfortable. The hotel night included breakfast. They will be upgrading the breakfast room to accommodate more people, which is greatly needed. Would stay there again and recommend for my clients as I am a travel agent.

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel is very clean and well kept and we enjoyed having a restaurant on property. Free Breakfast is always a plus. We chose this hotel because the rates in Burlington, Vt. were quite a bit higher. Enjoyed taking the ferry to the attractions.

Pool side rooms, so awesome. Bring the kids and sit back and have a blast! Order in or pick up food at the local Walmart and have a patio party. Don't forget to bring your pool noodles to float around there comfortable pool temp.

This was our second stay here. Hotel was clean and spacious. Staff was very attentive and timely in fulfilling our requests. Hotel manager was lovely and pleasant to speak to. Breakfast was well laid out; very busy, only tidbit of advice for the hotel would be to provide more fresh fruit, and gluten and dairy free options for those with dietary restrictions, as my daughter has. We plan to use this hotel every event our daughter has while attending university at Plattsburgh.

The front desk staff was fairly accommodating as we arrived too early to check, but after a little sightseeing, we got our room. Pretty average by Best Western standards, which isn't bad and the beds were comfy. The breakfast area was a little small and crowded on the day we left but we managed. The food was.... well, the usual sausage and scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels, cereal.....you know, it's universal.

From the superb friendly staff, to local restaurants to clean room, excellent value and motorcycle washing station to boot!!, it's an excellent choice very helpful in guidance for planning our next steps for travel

Good hotel, staff was pleasant. During fall season, rooms were not ready even though there was a block of rooms, reserved for the wedding party. Tried to check in at 2 pm, and staff said to give them 45 minutes and they'd be ready, even though check in was 3pm. Our rooms were ready at 4pm. Had to be at a rehearsal dinner for 5pm, this was just too rushed. The hotel was decorated nicely, breakfast was good.

Had a great time at the Best Western. Traveled with a party of 3. The pool is GREAT! Very big even with several people inside. 9 ft! The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good. Great selection. They even change up from sausage to Canadian bacon. The 2 waffle makers are the best. So many toppings to choose from. Juices, coffees were good as well. The restaurant connected to the hotel (ninety nine) was great as well. Many shops, restaurants, liquor stores, market, dollar store, mini-marts around the area. We went apple picking as well in Peru, NY.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the last year. The staff is always friendly, the hotel is always clean, hot cookies, water in the lobby. With 99 attached it makes for a nice and easy dinner to be had.

I booked a room that was part of a block of rooms reserved for a wedding party. Check-in and checkout were easy. The front-desk staff recommended places to eat and provided directions to the restaurants, as well as to the location of the wedding. The staff seemed eager to help. Comfortable rooms. Full breakfast, with juice, eggs, sausage and even biscuits and gravy, was a surprise. I didn't make my own waffle; others did.

Excellent hotel, room updated and very neat and tidy, beds very comfortable, pool area well maintained and lots of room to walk around. Buffet breakfast delicious and well presented. The hotel is located right beside the Champlain Center Mall, perfect to walk over and back.

I went to visit Ausable Chasm this month and chose this hotel for a night stay. Friendly stuff, free parking, clean hotel room, excellent breakfast. Finding the reception took some time and they can do a bit more by putting some more signs but that was not a big deal. Lots of restaurants around. Pretty close to Walmart. Room had a microwave and a small fridge which was really helpful. Loved my stay and would definitely recommend to others.

A typical hotel near the Interstate. Quality service and facility with no surprises. Little staff interaction but what I had was excellent. A good value for the price.Breakfast could be improved a bit by adding link sausage and regular bacon. RFID key cards were a first for me at a hotel and worked well.

The front desk staff were very nice - beautiful clean bathroom and nice bed; and the location was great. One of the managers went out of her way to try and resolve a problem I had with CANCELON.COM (by the way steer clear of these 3rd party bookers!) The breakfast was good - had everything and was filling and plenty of tables to sit at.

I stay here a lot as a business customer and decided to spend part of our anniversary here due to the great experiences I've had in the past. We brought our kids and stayed by the pool. The pool was the cleanest I've ever experienced. The hotel staff, led by GM Tricia, met our every need and desire! All extras we required were waiting for us in our room at check-in. The pool towels were restocked quickly during the busy night. I cannot think of anything negative to say, except that we eventually had to leave.

so friendly cannot say enough about the staff. We travelled with our dog and with the outdoor doorway so convenient. Breakfasts were outstanding but the thing that shines through are the people behind the desk. Best Western should be vey proud of this location.

Everything at lake Placid was booked due to an Iron Man competition, so we booked a room at the BW. Our room was clean. It was a nice stay! Some of the corridors seem to have been added on through the years...it was like a maze trying to find the front desk from our room. they served the typical "free" breakfast. It is located next to a nice restaurant for those that don't want to get back in the car to go eat.

This hotel is very well located, easy to go to shopping center. However, we waited longtime before we got our room. Most importantely, the air conditioner is so noisy that we woke up serveral times during the night. We don't think go back to this hotel ever.

We only stayed one night which we were grateful for as our room was a motel style room with a door accessing outside and another inside. The room was quite small and very dark and dingy but it was very clean. Indoor pool was exceptional. Staff very friendly. We would only stay again if we had another room

This is a beautiful and affordable hotel it's clean it has nice decor great service Ground Round resteraunt right on the premises it's a great location close to everything including my sons college and breakfast is included you can't beat it!!!!

Stayed for a week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, everything very clean and nice. Breakfast was similar to what is the usual fare at similar establishments. Large indoor pool. The only thing to watch out for - this facility is very spread out and thus you may find yourself walking a long distance from your room to the breakfast place.

We stayed at the Best Western Plattsburg after 7 hours of driving. We arrived at 00:30, without an advance booking. What a pleasant surprise to be greeted by a friendly staff member who was happy to help us find a quiet and nice room to rest. He even apologized because he couldn't get us a room of the first floor. We didn't mind the second floor. We had a room with two double beds. Notice that they aren't queen beds, but that didn't matter to us. The room had a mini-fridge, a microwave oven, toiletries, four washcloths and four towels. The room was really clean, and smelled good. We were happy to be able to watch TV in French (Radio-Canada). Don't worry, there are plenty of channels in English as well. The complimentary breakfast was good. You can make your own waffles. There is a little for everyone: cereal, bread, scrambled eggs, etc. The pool has a good dimension and is saltwater. Nice for the kids to move and play before we leave for our home. I will definitively check out other Best Western hotels when on vacation.

Will always stay at the Inn @ Smithfield / Best Western Plus We stay there as the staff is awesome. And it is near all the shopping you could ever want!!! And Hobby Lobby is coming soon around the corner. Breakfast was great too.

We have stayed a handful of times and are always pleased. We always request a second floor room. If you want to ensure less humidity and odour of pool, request a room away from pool otherwise don't be surprised and leave bad review! So far, so good :)

My wife and I almost always seek out a Best Western hotel in our travels across the country. On our way to Quebec we stopped in Plattsburgh at this Best Western Plus. I had read pretty good reviews of this hotel on the internet and it looked like the hotel was booked. But my call to Best Western direct was successful in getting a room at a BW Rewards Diamond status rate. This hotel has met and exceeded expectations. The room is large, the mattress and pillows comfy, the front desk friendly, and there's even what looks to be a club lounge, quiet and enclosed. The restaurant is in the same building. It has an open kitchen and a large oval bar with an airy and friendly atmosphere. I had a manhattan - just so so - and then a martini which tasted like a martini but was yellowish in color. .?? Also in this building is a huge room with a large pool, up to 9 feet in depth. There is an addicting air hockey table and a couple electronic games. Nice place for anyone, esp. families. Outside is a nice patio with a brick fireplace/grill. Didn't use it because it was raining hard. And there was a tornado alert. Free breakfast in a nice room with eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, dairy. Coffee was good. This morning the charming ladies at the front desk were enthusiastic to tell me that later in September the restaurant area is being upgraded and there will even be China plates. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean updated hotel. Lots of parking. Swimming area was amazing, indoors, protected from the elements, nicely decorated to make you feel outdoors. Quiet at night could not hear any noise from other guests, had a great sleep.

We booked our room through the website "booking.com", but when we arrived at the hotel, the front desk clerk, Alyssia, never wanted to give us our room because we had a prepaid Visa card. We tried everything, cash, and other warranty, no solution was offered, and after a long drive we had to get there with our two children to find another hotel.

I had a so so experience at that hotel. You can tell the owner upgraded and worked in the hotel but unfortunately didn't check the work of the team he hired... in general, it's nice but when you look more closely, some "corners were rounded"... however, this is not the point of my review!! My room smelled of humidity (and I wasn't near the pool) and my clothes (that were in my suitcase) smelled the next morning! Also, the maid obviously skipped some things before our arrival since there was hair stuck to the shower wall and all over the bathroom floor... makes me wonder if the bed sheets had been changed too... not going there anymore for sure!

As a franchisee, the owner of this hotel does not honour the Best Western chains military discount policy. The hotel only offers a military discount to people travelling on orders. Veterans and military families can find better accommodations

Ive had good and bad experience at Best Western hotels, this one is not good. You see they have tried to update the hotel on top of a older motel. Job not well done, you will notice the job as been done fast and some of the electronic equipment as not been changed. For example the AC, yes it was hot outside but the AC seem to through more humidity inside the rooms and made the entire room smell of mold. The matress was somewhat comfy, but the pillows will make your neck sore. Do not base your choice from the hotel pictures, they do look better than they actually are.

Wonderful stay! Spacious room and everything was clean and tidy. The only downfall was no elevator, but Dustin was amazing and helped us with our luggage so he more than made up for the inconvenience. Very friendly and helpful front desk help!

The accommodations and staff are exceptional for the North Country in general and Plattsburgh in particular! The breakfast offers far more than "continental" and varied from day to day - it made for a great start to our day! Very close to Interstate 87 and large selection of restaurants in the vicinity (we were very pleased with 99, which is adjacent - very convenient). Book early - they do a brisk business and are worth the effort of booking in advance.

We always have a great experience here and will continue to stay here when we are in Plattsburgh. We always get a room in the area we need as sometimes we have a boat and we need an outside power source. The laundry facility is easily accessible and very reasonable. Parking is great and 2 restaurants within walking distance.

Love this hotel so very conveniently close to stores, restaurants, cinemas etc. Hotel is clean, breakfast is good and staff is awesome. Will stay again in the future and would recommend for anyone to stay there.

room was outdated Air conditioner was really loud No fan in bathroom which was not that clean Bathroom really small, not clean, hardly any towels. furniture and carpet was stained and really old. Location is good, close to all amenities. Only positive is that the staff were very friendly and receptive.

FOr the price, the hotel value can't be beat. Comfortable bed, nicely decorated rooms, free breakfast, indoor pool, washer/dryer. Slight drawback was the wifi; 2.4 GHz only (no 5 GHz). Good wifi most of the day, until evening, then if became "spotty".

What a clean, good smelling, wonderfully friendly hotel this is! The newly remodeled lobby features new tile, a small store area, and a two sided check in counter to help with traffic flow and the ease of checking in. The business center and fitness rooms are awesome, and the breakfast area is cramped due to the number of seats, but otherwise perfect. This hotel is easy to find, just off the highway, close to several eateries, and super clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and give me some great recommendations of places to eat. The rooms are very good sized, as is the bathroom. A full sized tub with shower, and a nice sized vanity as well. Ok- here's the one complaint- there is no light in or near the closet. At least in room 200. It makes the closet very, very dark. hard to pick out clothes if you had a multi-day/multi outfit trip. Just know that. If you are traveling to Plattsburgh- stay here. You'll thank me later!

This is a very nice hotel,clean rooms good location close to mall grocery stores and restaurants,salt water heated indoor pool, The breakfast is great without being to overcrowded,slept good in a firm bed.

Had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus in Plattsburgh, NY. The staff, at check-in and the gentleman that picked up me and my family in the shuttle van from Amtrak were all very nice. I just wish I could remember their names to say "thank you" for first class service. The room and had a microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, iron/board, & hair dryer. The bed and pillows, were comfortable. I also enjoyed the heated pool and exercise room. The hotel was clean and the complimentary breakfast was great. I will definitely be returning.

My husband and I loved this hotel. Front desk staff, particularly Alyssa, was terrific! All re modeled, absolutely wonderful place to stay. Warm cookies at check in were an added bonus. Highly recommend!

This was a pretty, well maintained hotel that was in a very convenient location close to the mall, SUNY Plattsburgh, and many businesses in between. They provided a lot of in house things to do just in case of a rainy day which definately appealed to me. I felt very safe and comfortable while in the room and slept very well in the clean and comfy bed. Best Western Plus will be my go to hotel every time I visit Plattsburgh!

the hotel is very nice and clean , pool is decent , no hot tube (will be very nice ), the breakfast is ok, we are on low carb diet , and it was not a lot of options for us, simple boiled eggs will be nice addition

Trica was on duty and showed us the main entrance changes, which were well executed and functional to all. Good for the busy Summer tour. Going back in August and in October. What more can one say? Beds were particularly comfortable.

Great place for family, especially poolside rooms. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and grocery stores.Breakfast is included.I have been going to this particular BW for over 30 years and I will go back again.

I was in Plattsburgh for two night while my son had college orientation. The initial impression of the hotel was not great. Lobby was dark and had a musty, stale odor. I was not looking forward to my stay. After going to my room, it had the same odor, I opened a window and sprayed air freshener and it was better. The room was very clean, staff was extremely polite and helpful. Easy access to many major stores and chain restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff was very helpful. The room was nice and clean. And it is pet friendly. There are plenty of shops in the area if you get bored. There are plenty of restaurants in the area too. Nice flowers in the back. Good walk for the dog.

I have been to many hotels and by far this one has the most friendly staff. The room was nice.Clean and modern. Several choices for breakfast. cereal, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bagels, english muffins, Waffles and oatmeal. plus a few other choices. They are located on a very busy road but from in the hotel I couldn't hear any traffic. Sleeping was no problem. The bed was very comfortable and had lots of pillows. The pool was fantastic! warm and deep. Deep end goes to 9 ft. Next time I would ask for a poolside room. There is no place to change so you have to walk to and from the pool in your bathing suit and when wet is very cold. They have a 99 restaurant connected which is nice. I will review that separately as well. But in short. Great service and good food. But freezing ( i had to put on sweatshirt) and smelled like fish. I would absolutely go to this hotel again.
