Best Western Park Hotel

All cars on the hotel parking broken open during the night and no one sow or heard something, no info from reception in the morning. You had to discover yourself.. No cameras, no information that the zone is dangerous. Better to spend some euros more for a hotel where they care about the guests.

The hotel is large and offers an 80's feel, complete with outdated rooms and decor. As it's a little out of town and after a long drive we decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant - whilst service is friendly and welcoming, the food was pretty bad: dry bread, dry chicken and chewy beef entrecôte.

I have stayed inthis hotel quite a few times, and have always enjoyed the services that correspond to what I usually expect when going to a Best Western hotel. Last time was still overall satisfactory but I have noticed some details which demonstrated lower standards than usual (empty minibar, no complimentary slippers, no bathroom set). These are details and I imagine that the Covid19 period can explain reduced services, but I hope that in a near future they will rise up to their usual standard. Great experience however at the restaurant, where we had a great dinner ; even if the menu offered liited choice, the quality of what was proposed was beyond what we had expected.

The reason I am giving this 2 stars is because I  sleeped awfully in the bed, I found my mattress very uncomfortable. To be fair my wife next to me slept like a log. The picture quality on the TV was very good indeed, so much so I am making a comment about it.  A printed list of the channels would have been very useful. No idea why the channels we had were advertised as "premium".  The only English channels we finally found were 3 news channels.  Apart from films you would have on any normal Italian TV, no other films. WiFi was very good. The Bathroom was very nice, with an ample supply of good towels. We went for the half board option.  Glad we did.  The food in the restaurant was very good, we could order any 2 dishes from the menu. We ordered our selves 2 glasses of wine with our meal.  After we finished I offered to pay for these extra.  I was very surprised to be told they were included in our meal deal. Good food and service, good value for money. All the staff we spoke to had good English, and were very welcoming Covid restrictions like the whole of England were now very limited. The staff had mask, but no restrictions on us guests. So for the first time in maybe 2 years we found ourselves sharing a lift with 2 unmasked individuals.  This is going to become the new normal (again).  If you are not happy with this situation your only option would be not to travel. This is not a criticism of this hotel, just  a comment on governments policy's. On going down for breakfast I was initially disappointed they was no all singing coffee machine, only a filter one.  After a couple of minutes I realised other residents were asking the serving staff to bring them their favourite coffee from the kitchen which they freshly made. Why not display a notice stating this? Compared to any  humble French hotel the bread quality was poor. However the selection of sliced cold meats was very good. They also had cooked bacon and scrambled eggs. The fruit juice  offered was not the real thing. I can't remember when I had such a poor night's sleep in a hotel, so we will not be going back, which in many whys is a shame.

Hotel can be reached easily from/to highway when travelling to/from southern parts of Italy from e.g. Germany. Offers everything which is needed for stop-over including restaurant which offers variety of local/italian dishes of good quality. Friendly service. Location unattractive (suburbs, industrial zone) but if this doesn´t matter if you are there for stop-over. Good parking opportunties. Rooms are fine and clean except walls to other rooms could be better isolated to avoid noise from these.

No surprise whatsoever. Reliability. Cold reception. Large free parking area. Spacious rooms with only the essentials, clean, good climatisation, huge sitting areas, a bar and a fair restaurant. To my taste too sterile. Fair prices.

This felt very functional particularly when I arrived late and the bar was already shut. Room was basic and clean. A sensible option in Piacenza if other higher quality spec hotels are busy. Staff were polite and recpetion desk staffed both morning and late evening.

The hotel is old and (maybe) refurbished a long time ago. It does not feel welcoming to an arriving guest and even finding the main entrance from the parking place can take more than it should (no indications available). Nevertheless, staff at reception desk are truly nice and do their utmost to offer the best support so I wish to thank all of them for helping me through my stay. A recommendation to property owners: do something, especially to the bathroom facilities.

This hotel has to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in for many a while, years I would say. From the outside it looks like the building needs to be knocked down so was hoping inside may be better....it wasn't. The decor is circa 1972 with everything brown, chocolate brown & yellow that includes reception area, bar, dining area & the rooms which are in major need of refurb as is the whole hotel. Tired looking does not cover it. I closed my brown curtains at night to go to sleep & one of them came off the cheap plastic rail which left me with the dirty looking net curtains. Food wasn't great either, we were the only ones (2 of us) in the dining area at a “peak” time and the waitress looked so bored that she seemed happy to see some form of life in the restaurant and the food itself was pretty awful. I would recommend anyone who is in this area to go elsewhere unless you like old, quite dirty, lifeless hotel. I had to change rooms twice as both rooms stank, awful experience.

A good Hotel with a very kind staff, located close to the highway and not so far to the city center. Modern room, beautiful hall. The breakfast is very good and completed with local food. The car-park is free

Over the years we have stayed at many Best Western Hotels and this one without doubt has to be one of the top ones. Situated just off the motorway it's ideal for an overnight stay whilst travelling through Italy. Large car park with plenty of spaces at no extra cost. The hotel is modern with a beautiful reception and a little cosy bar area. The bedrooms are nicely decorated, the bed comfortable and the bathroom spotless. Great food in the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. All this at amazing low prices. On the outskirts of town but a 30 minute walk will take you to the centre.

The rooms are very clean and modern, all the necessaries. Mini bar tea and coffee. TV and free WiFi, very nice walk in shower. The hotel ha a nice bar area and a great breakfast, there are plenty of choices, hot and cold. There is plenty of parking. A 20 minute walk from the centre of Piacenza. Except for one grumpy waiter in the restaurant everyone else was very friendly.

This is a clean, modern and efficient hotel with friendly staff and a very convenient location, close to the main access roads and motorways serving Piacenza, but not too far from the old centre (30 minutes walk). The hotel has good rooms, with large comfortable beds, plenty of storage space and large multi-channel (including BBC World News) TVs. It has good well equipped bathrooms, and the room serving is very good. The breakfast in buffet-style, with an extremely good variety of food allowing a rich choice, including an English style breakfast if required. Plenty of parking available at the hotel, for which there is no additional charge. If there are conferences or events at the venue the car park can become quite full, but during the week I stayed there I always found somewhere to park. The hotel is very quiet, especially considering it is not too far from major road networks, and many rooms have charming countryside views with the mountains in the background.

Enjoyed a one week stay for a business trip. Convenient parking, pleasant rooms and amenities including breakfast and a nice restaurant on site. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay again when I return to the Piacenza area.

I stayed here for three nights whilst in Piacenza on business. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and it ticked a big box for me having a gym and power points beside the bed! I ate in the restaurant and the bar and whilst the food was decent, the menu is limited.

We chose the Park Hotel because of the proximity to the autostrade and our early afternoon flight home. The hotel was clean and offered standard amenities. Please note - breakfast is NOT included in room rate and is an additional 4€ at check-in or 10€ if you choose to show up in the morning without having pre-paid. Breakfast was generous and diverse.

This was the best ever! If you want to go there do it! it's the best! it's well put together! it's also beautiful! I hope you thought this was helpful for you and your family! Also, it has a great tv!

Sorry but for an international hotel (like this) I would expect at least your restaurant personnel to speak English. Anyway to overcome this if a customer of yours orders the most expensive plate in the menu I would expect to be DECENT- not cooked a day before and worm up to be served after 5mins of ordering (not even warm - the sides), no question about ordering a medium cooked fillet (Check the attached pictures out). At least the music in the restaurant is great! Apart from that unpleasant issue, the hotel is great, the rooms are OK, bed comfortable (but please upgrade the restaurant services - shame on you).

In Piacenza the best quality/cost ratio hotel. Good room, excellent restaurant and the staff is very kind. The parking is free. Close to the main road, easy to get. The breakfast is various and with local food.

As usual, another great stay in Piacenza. Very kind staff at the front desk and in the restaurant. Very good quality food in the restaurant. Copious and varied breakfast buffet. Nice rooms. Clean and comfortable. And on top of all this, the price is very reasonable. Great value for money.

Stayed here 09/10-13/10 2017 The reception is very friendly Room was spacious & clean Pity that they could not provide an electric iron for me . No tooth brush available to purchase No shops , restaurants around Hotel restaurant is reasonably good. Beware if you are checking in very late, eat before you arrive otherwise you will go hungry to bed.

I use this hotel as a stop of to and from my house in Italy. It is a great place to drop of the motorway system and easy to find. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast is a real steal at €3 On this occasion the restaurant was disappointing, but has been excellent on previous visits. Overall for the price it is great value.

If you are looking for somewhere basic and located next to a main road whilst traveling this hotel is ideal. Do not pay their prices book instead online with Booking.com is is so much cheaper ! For example we asked to be upgraded to a suite as our standard room had a stale smell of cigarettes and the suite advertises it has a spa bath. Yes it did but as shown in the photo's probably one of the first ever ! the suite rooms were not worth their price of €150 per night we looked on Booking.com and they are €109 Standard rooms they wanted €100 but on Booking.com they are €75? The breakfast is the most basic ever , why they need 3 waiting staff on I have no idea as they certainly were not keeping an eye on the only 2 hot foods as the scrambled eggs ran out and no one noticed? The wallpaper in the "suite" room we had looked tired and had some kind of damp coming through from the bathroom as shown in photo. The terrace to sit outside was behind the restaurant "The Veranda restaurant" ? and if you wanted to sit outside you had to walk out of the front door and around past the outside car park,all the parasols were not up and so no shade to sit in as it was in the 30's we had to sit back in the lobby and read instead. There was also some more comfortable seating area at the back with the parasols up but you could not get out of the locked door ? The food in the restaurant was basic and the same menu it seemed the 2 days we were there. Nothing to do unless you wanted to work out in the gym, no comfortable lounge area to sit in except for the lobby with TV's all on showing the Italian news. If you are traveling though and need a stop gap to shower eat sleep then perfect as right beside a main road. + Clean sheets & towels,

We stayed overnight at the BW Park Hotel in April 2017 during a road trip accross Northern Italy. The hotel is ideally positioned on the motorway, allowing you to continue your trip (to all directions), without having to go into the town. So location is ideal for a stop-over, considering Piacenza is right at the middle of Northern Italy, within a few hours drive from Turin, Milano, Venice and the port town of Ancona . Staff was very friendly and helpful, food quality and service in the restaurant was beyond what you would expect from a hotel on the motorway, while breakfast was indeed a bit basic but more than adequate for a day or two (it comes at a price but a very reasonable one). We had two very modern and clean rooms which were connected while the wifi was good without limitations. Password was given with the door card. Now, parking is important during a stop over. The hotel has a large free parking area, which looks big enough for the size of the hotel. We have been informed that the hotel charged for the closed underground parking the amount of 50 Euros. That is, if we understood correctly the particular member of staff who only spoke Italian, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. However, do note that if you are planning to stop for the night you can choose the pit stop offer, which allows you access to the closed underground garage with 9 Euros. Luckily, we had made that reservation upfront as we had booked in advance through their website. The garage was nearly empty actually (at the time there were only a few empty spaces in the free open parking), which probably means that we did get the number right. Nevertheless, if you plan to stay for one night and you carry things in your car (so you want that extra peace of mind), or if you need direct access to the hotel (the garage is directly connected to the hotel reception through a staircase), then have a look at the offers, ideally before you reach the hotel. Overall, our staying proved a very pleasant and problem-free experience which exceeded our expectations. So we do recommend it.

Well we checked in very late, had difficult time checking in, they said we booked 3 rooms, through a 3 Rd party, not correct, booked directly through best western, only needed 2 rooms, we had to show the email, still the lady refused to accept . Poor customer service, just wanted to make the $$$, they refused to adjust the invoice, charged us the rate of 3 rooms even though we used 2 rooms, gave no loyalty gift, not even a discounted breakfast, what a waste of time, I guess if I was Italian, maybe they would have offered anything/something for being a platinum member. I will never recommend this hotel to friends or family, spend your $$$, elsewhere.

I have been here before and wrote a great review. However I got a newly redecorated room last time and was really impressed. Clean as always but much lighter with a superb mattress and very nice bathroom. Definitely even better then before

The Best Western Park Hotel is located east of the city of Piacenza on the ring road. The center of the city is located in 5 km distance. The hotel has 100 rooms, of which most of them are newly renovated. One of the older rooms was assigned to us first. The friendly gentleman at the reception switched us to one of the remodeled rooms on our request. The newly renovated rooms meet the usual business standard, are decorated in modern design and look sober. The equipment is limited to the essential, consisting of a desk and two chairs. A kettle for tea/coffee is available. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin. Internet is fast and reliable. The room and the bathroom room were perfectly clean. A breakfast for the price of € 3.- is offered. It is amply garnished with cheap products. The scrambled egg was prefabricated and lacking consistency. For the small token of € 3.- I did not expect much more. The ambience in the breakfast room is noisy and comparable to a concourse. In the evening, the Veranda restaurant proposes two 3-course dinner menus at the price of € 16 and € 18. Here, the atmosphere is quiet and elegant with white clothed tables. The is food is traditional Italian cuisine; and tasty. The hotel has a large, free, non-guarded car park. The employees at the reception desks are helpful and speak English. I was wondering about the park. There is actually none despite the name. The price – to performance ratio is good

The hotel it's in a confortable place far away from town traffic and has private parking. The service it's very good and the rooms are confortable and clean, and many service are free as computer station, photocopier, printer directly in the reception area.

Located about 10 kilometres from the autostrada. Easy to get to. This is a well appointed hotel with nice rooms. The beds are comfortable too. The staff are pleasant, well mannered and keen to please. I last visited a couple of years ago, some of the same staff are still there. The hotel's restaurant is very nice and the menu allows you to try some of the local produce. The local alcohol can even be tried. The hotel has a free sauna and gym. Kettle and tea/coffee now in the rooms, in the past you had to collect from reception if you wanted it. Definitely a big plus after a long drive, well done.

Stayed at this hotel twice this month. The service, ambiance and rooms are all excellent. Had dinner in the restaurant both evenings we were there, just marvellous. Wonderful Ialian food, beautifully presented with helpful staff excelling in every way. Good selection of wines plus only 4€ a glass should you not want a full bottle. The buffet breakfast is exceptional value, just 3€, not a misprint, per person. Extremely accessible to the Motorway.

Hotel was good and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and tidy with all the facilities you require. Restaurant was fine and the food served quickly and was reasonably priced. Rooms were air conditioned.

Arriving later than anticipated after a long hot day on the road driving south, entering the large, cool and modern reception area was a pleasant surprise considering the dated and tired looking exterior. We were welcomed and checked in by the friendly receptionist and minutes later we were in our comfortable and clean rooms with very comfortable beds. As we were so late we dispensed with our original plans to wander in to Piacenza to find somewhere to eat and instead ate in the restaurant. Very clean, cool and simply furnished with staff helpfully recommending dishes. The delicious food was delivered quickly. On checkout, there was confusion as to whether we had prepaid as the hotel could find no record. To our surprise, the receptionist said that we should check when we got home and if the prepayment hadn't happened the we could get in touch to make the payment later – most other hotels would have insisted we paid and then request a refund once we could prove we had prepaid. Well done Best Western. So a very pleasant experience all round – great value, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great dinner (and breakfast) and no quibbling over the missing prepayment. A definite revisit if we come this way again.

Friendly staff; good room - well equipped and very clean; conveniently located close to the highways. And what appeared to be a nice town with a good number of places to eat and drink. I arrived a little late to explore but the hotel restaurant was very good and opened until 10pm. Be aware that general parking is not guaranteed secure, which is a pain if stopping mid-journey and you don't want to empty your car. Secure garage is available - but costs extra.

All staff (check-in, bar and restaurant) helpful and friendly. Room and bathroom spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant was much appreciated - delicious food and wine at extremely reasonable prices. The hotel has a large private car park and us ideally situated for easy access to the motorway south, but well away from traffic and noise - our view was over unspoilt countryside. Excellent value for money. We will be using this hotel again.

This is a modern unlovely looking hotel on the outskirts of Piacenza (too far to walk). We only stopped here for one night but everything was perfect. Large free car park, underground if you want. The welcome and the service generally was excellent. The room was big and the bed was huge. The room lacked nothing and it was clean and comfortable. WiFi was free and perfect. Dinner was also good in the bright and pleasant restaurant. You can't miss the 3 euro breakfast...what a feast!! Fantastic selection of breakfast items to cater for all tastes. I.m sure that this would make a good base for visiting Piacenza.....we were just passing through.

Very nice hotel. We arrived without booking on a Saturday evening and they had adjacing double rooms for us (2 adults, 2 kids) for only 129 €. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was fair. Breakfast was good, nothing extraordinary. Rooms were spacious and clean, nice bathroom.

Had a good nights sleep in this comfortable hotel. Easily accessed from highway but located in a commercial area without charm. Rooms was good value for money everything worked and it was clean. In the morning the reception was kind to show me a very good track for jogging in a good park close by. Maybe I will return in the future for more business.

We stayed one night one the way to France. Good localisation for the car travellers. Free parking space. Friendly staff, very clean and modern rooms. Well equipped gym and sauna free for quests use - which I really like! Breakfast ok. I can recommend it.

We spent two nights last month. The hotel is clean, modern, and within easy reach of the city centre. The front desk staff were very helpful recommending restaurants and arranging for taxis. There is a good bus service right around the corner from the hotel and in less than ten minutes you are dropped off in the centre. We left our car parked for two days. Breakfast is buffet and good value. Our room (twin beds) was big, clean, and very quiet. This hotel is good value and we have recommended it to our friends. Seems to be the only game in town! The staff was friendly at the reception. The room that I had for three nights had a toilet that was impossible to flush and the shower did not have a shower curtain and only a half door making it impossible to shower without wetting the bathroom floor. The buffet breakfast I would rate as a seven and one of the servers seemed bored or annoyed when we requested more coffee. I would rate the hotel with 3 stars. This is my opinion based on my experience.

Nice place to stay, not for from the city center and many attractions. Clean room, nice bed except the matress was too hard and pillows very soft. Nice staff, nice welcoming. Very good breakfast. very good quality for the price paid. Free parking.

I always stay in Best western Park hotel when come to Piacenza. The best hotel in the city. The numbers are very good + the service is also very good. In the restaurant - La Veranda you can order and amazing hot dishes, and you can see, how they cook them.

Parkhotel offers good rooms at reasonable prices. Although it is situated a few Miles away from the autostrada, it is an ideal hotel for a stopover. They do offer good food at the restaurant. Staff is vert friendly and efficient. The place is very clean and modern.

The hotel room was large and nice. The staff in reception was friendly. The hotel is some distance from the center. I arrived in the evening, and left after an early breakfast. Generally speaking, a good stay that met my expectations for a four star hotel.

I recently stayed in this hotel (September 2015) and I can highly recommend it. The rooms are beautiful and the prices quite fair. Couldn't find any negative points! This is certainly the best hotel in this part of Italy.

The hotel is close to major roads; but is set back and screened by hedges. The lobby is spacious as was our room. It was hot and the air conditioning did not respond to the controls. Several calls to the staff finally produced some air conditioning; but problems with the system meant that it had to be fully on or off (no adjustment possible). The terrace part of the restaurant was pleasant and the food was reasonable. At least one of the catering staff seemed to be a trainee and dropped several items.

This hotel gives you exactly what you expect. It is a large, chain hotel; clean, efficient and impersonal. Reception staff were friendly, the wi-fi worked and there was plenty of parking. The restaurant could have been better. Although the food was ok the service was a bit chaotic. My husband and son ordered starters but I just ordered a main course, Unfortunately this was brought at the same time as their starters so I had eaten most of it before their main courses arrived! Ok for an overnight stop.

Room fine if expensive due to little further availability of accommodation because of said convention.. However, Please don't eat in the restaurant. Very poor quality food, cold, undercooked but the main complaint was the hopeless manager defending it all. I stood his ground, face to face when he shook his head at my comments to the poor quality meal. It got close to a confrontation...with him...no customer service whatsover. Please catch a cab into town.

The hotel is over 20 years old and it looks like they didn't do anything to update it, or keep it up during that period. The two elevators made a lot of noise and bumping going up and down. Wasn't sure if I'd get stuck. The room was clean, but using the shower, the drain was slow. Also, the safe in my room did not work. The coffee at breakfast was good, but the food was very under whelming. Dinner in their restaurant was consistent and good. This an OK hotel, but I wouldn't classify it as a four star.
