"Nice and peaceful in rainy season"
paul h, 05 Octobre 2018

Visited in september 2018 which is still rainy season . It rained most days and quite heavy on a few but it was still very hot , easy enough to use hotel's minibus taxi to go to Phuket old town and patong and use wet time for a spot of retail therapy , Patong was still very busy even in rain . Hotel still runs activities and live music on a few nights but as hotel was quite , there were not many takers .Small bits of refurbishments going on but nothing to cause any issues , very low key .Room was spacey and kept very clean , all the staff were very helpful and always had a smile and were constantly busy , we had a ground floor room which opened onto pool area . The good thing about going out of season is you never have to fight for a sunbed or queue for anything . We would defiantly return to best western but might wait till later in the year next time

"Only just better than average"
Etienne1980, 28 Septembre 2018

We just came back from the resort and it's fair to say that it hasn't been as good as I thought it would The main positive point of the resort is the staff, they know what customer service is Nan, sake, zun to name a few were superb Bedroom are spacious with all amenities you would expect from that type of resort Michael who is in charge of customer relation was also good to give us some tips of where to go and see but equally good to try and solved our discontent Foodie people beware!! At the time we were there, breakfast buffet style was ok (not really a fan of hot dog sausage though) then you have 2 restaurants but one of them was closed at lunch time therefore had no choice than eat at seafood restaurant, there are 2 different menu, a seafood one and one where you find some Thai dishes , and some European dishes like pizza, pasta, burger, etc, the downside is they use same menu for lunch and dinner therefore becomes boring Where I am disappointed the most is it shouldn't matter if within off season or not Customers should receive same level of service Once the F&b manager Eric was back from holiday and heard about the issue we had with the quality of the food he did everything he could to make sure it wouldn't happen again and it didn't So for that we are great full to him But sadly it leave a bitter taste as what it could have been if Eric would have been there from the start Overall nice quiet location with great staff(except chef) let down by the food experience

"Wonderful trip - few minor improvements would make it even better"
CatherinePace, 22 Septembre 2018

This is an extremely difficult review for me to write. I returned to the uk on Wednesday night having spent the most incredible two weeks in Thailand staying at BW Bangtao beach resort & spa hotel. Apologies in advance for this epic review! We travelled to Dubai from Manchester with Emirates on A380 airbus which was great, hundreds of movies to choose from and the meals were nice too. We then had a 2 hour transfer time which was mainly spent getting across the MASSIVE impressive Dubai airport- lots of walking involved as well as 4 lifts a TRAIN and an escalator too! The second leg involved an extremely uncomfortable flight lasting over 6 hours on the Boeing 777 in ridiculously narrow seats and cramped conditions. Found this plane totally unsuitable for such a long journey and I think it's use needs reviewing ....but hey - wasn't going to let that spoil things We arrived in Phuket early morning and were picked up by private taxi and hit the early morning traffic but this gave us a chance to get a flavour of life in Thailand. The hotel itself is in a quiet location down a bumpy road with a few street shops, a 7-11 store, restaurants, taxi service and loads of massage parlours. The entrance looked deceptively small but once inside the place opened out into a nice spacious well air conditioned reception area where we were greeted warmly and given a refreshing welcome drink and vouchers for complimentary breakfast. Found this a bit strange since we were all inclusive but I guess it worked out as a 15th breakfast on a 14day/ night stay. Even though you are AI you have to sign for everything food and drink wise at this resort.Breakfasts (and evening meals - unless you prebook the seafood restaurant) are in a lovely setting beach restaurant right on the Andaman sea. There are plenty of staff catering to you at this hotel each one as friendly and obliging as the next.Tea and coffee are brought to your table and breakfast choice from the buffet is decent quality and there is an egg/ omelette station where these can be cooked fresh to requirement. Everything looks reassuringly clean and staff are constantly cleaning down bench areas. Feeling refreshed but tired we returned to reception to complete check in ,collected our key card, towel cards and were given resort information including information how to access free WiFi ( an important thing to many) . Our bags were carried to room 1207 just upstairs from reception by the 24 hour luggage service boy who gave us a quick tour . We were greeted in the room with a lovely welcome note and fresh fruit basket. We were really happy with our spacious clean accommodation with its view over the pool and a partial beach view. The bed was (as many guests describe) quite firm but personally I prefer this to a saggy soft mattress. There is a walk in shower and plenty of complimentary toiletries (replenished daily) which serve as a back up if you didn't bring your own, a hair dryer, safe, plug in mosquito repellant, a free supply of tea coffee and water facilities but you have to pay for anything in the fridge. The room has ice cold air conditioning but can easily be warmed up using the thermostat and is serviced daily - we always found standards to be high although a little extra such as towel art would have been a really nice touch. After grabbing a few hours sleep we set off to explore what is a deceptively decent sized beach side resort. There wasn't much of a beach for most of the day since the water came right up to the edge of the rocks but any litter/ plastics washed up were immediately collected and despite the red flags warning not swim (no lifeguards) and warnings of Portuguese man of war jelly fish some people still ventured into the sea. There are two pools with plenty of sun loungers, however it was low season and since not very busy it would be difficult to give assessment of how adequate they would be when it was busy. There is a very small activities programme ( weather and numbers of participants permitting) I would recommend the hydro cycling which is at 11am - shout out to Tom- wish I'd had more sessions!!!! It was rainy season and most days had at least a small amount of rain so although it didn't spoil our holiday it did disrupt some activities. Don't worry about waterproofs - these can be purchased for minimal amounts for reusable ones at 7-11 store and each room at hotel is provided with a large umbrella . The lunchtime menu at the seafood restaurant is actually the same as the evening one. Hubby and I had only just commented how a lighter quicker choice would be when an additional menu appeared. All of the food here was delicious - the Thai foods as you would expect are amazing and I also particularly liked the grilled chicken breast with prawns. Some foods on the menu have a red sticker on them so you have to pay half their marked price even if you are an AI guest. Evening meals are of very high standard with choices from an appetiser, then soup or salad and a desert from the menu. Again as you would expect the Thai food is superb and the panaeng curry (choose your strength) is to die for. What this hotel does really lack is evening entertainment. A couple of singers play a set a few evenings but a programme at a set time each evening would keep guests better entertained than a bookcase and pool table. The space in the reception could be better utilised than just a few seats... these are minor things easily rectified and I think other guests would approve of. You can book a shuttle bus to take you to Patong or Phuket or there is taxi booking just outside. The mosquitos in Thailand are vicious. I discovered that dousing myself in my usual brand of tropical strength product only seemed to attract the little critters even more. A lovely couple we met gave us spare wristbands with supposed 340 hour protection but sadly they didn't work so I visited the pharmacy and was given a roll on which Thai people use and proved effective. I also purchased antihistamine cream for bites and hubby needed antihistamine tablets too. We were disappointed that although our TUI rep Olli would visit at your request by e mail or telephone there were no set days/ times for visits and not even an information board! We eventually booked 3 trips ( see my other reviews) which were fantastic but disappointingly we were informed by other guests that the exact same trips could be booked at a fraction of the cost outside of the hotel. Also be aware that if there aren't sufficient numbers for trips then they may be cancelled! Unfortunately on my way to meet the rep to book the trips I stumbled and took a heavy fall on the uneven twisting hotel path that runs along the seafront .it was just one of those things but you do need pay attention and not get too distracted by the stunning scenery! The hotel staff not only cleaned and dressed my wound but provided me with iodine and spare dressings and checked I was ok. The staff here are so friendly - some of the nicest we have encountered on our many trips and a real credit to the hotel - big shout outs to all staff but Teekor, Jen, Jun, Archie,Yanie, Christina and especially Gin ( who redressed my wounds and even brought me balm the following day to aid my healing) It was with heavy hearts we departed and faced the journey back to uk. Although we knew to expect the discomfort of the trip on the first leg after our outward flight Somehow the airbus felt very uncomfortable too. I felt a bit feverish and had a headache. We arrived back in Manchester slightly ahead of schedule and because we had a 3 hour drive home we opted to stay in an airport hotel to get a nights rest before our journey. However this was not to be and after an entire evening of d & v , shivering and sweating , headache and with a sore abdomen I was hospitalised. It's unknown where I picked this up from and i won't let it spoil the wonderful holiday but would use this opportunity to urge anyone visiting this country to take all hygiene precautions and drink plenty of fluids to ensure they stay well. Would I return? Definitely - yes- in a heartbeat! Thank you Thailand and especially BW Bangtao hotel Xx

"Not a four star hotel "
Michelle B, 20 Septembre 2018

First, it's not in the greatest of locations. Its cooped up in some back street . Very little to do outside hotel restaurants aren't great and bars. Our room was very grubby their was blood on our sheets and some yellow stains that looked like makeup the sheets needed to be dumped the wooden tables in the room was filthy the room needed a deep clean. Especially the bed not impressed. Also we paid for a trip where told we where going to Robinson shopping center in the old town phucket was looking forward to seeing the old town having lunch a bit of shopping but at the last minute they changed where we were going and brought us to another shopping center the central one was out in the middle of nowhere it was far to expensive unless u want to buy a lambarghini Merc Ferrari aston Martin maybe a designer bag worth a couple of hundred or a bottle of perfume way dearer then what you pay at home. Was the hotel in cahoots with the shopping center they wasted our day... Not happy

"5th year running!"

I come back to this hotel because it is perfectly located on the shores of the Andaman sea. You can have your breakfast in the breakfast room by the sea. Such a great choice for breakfast, too. The bedrooms are all en-suite with air con, and very large. The staff at this hotel are wonderful, helpful and friendly. I will be booking again for my 6th visit in 2019

Just come back yesterday from this hotel. Couldn't fault it. Lovely big room overlooking the pool. Right on the beach. We stayed bed & breakfast but the food was always excellent. The staff can not do too much for you & are always polite. Shops & restaurants outside. Our favourite was the I-talay restaurant across the road. Good prices, fantastic food and entertainment. We also had 15% discount. This is a nice central base for Phuket town, Patong and you can do all the trips to James Bond Beach, Phi Phi etc either from the hotel or outside on the strip. I would suggest you shop around for these as different prices everywhere. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Also we were so lucky with the weather. Do not be put off going in September, we had a brilliant time!

"A wonderful stay"
kaye S, 12 Septembre 2018

We found this on Secret Escapes. The hotel was beautiful. Had lovely rooms overlooking the pool and sea . So many staff keeping everything spotless . We came in September low season . So the hotel pleasantly not full . Fansatic breakfast I can't think of anything any nationality could want that they didn't serve . So many staff filling coffee , making omelettes . We were just bed and breakfast. Ate in both restaurants. Both very good . Found some nice restaurants near by . Had free massage in spa excellent . Did yoga and water spin . Staff so lovely ...

"20th Wedding Anniversary Holiday "
Spiderlady75, 02 Septembre 2018

We stayed here for 2 weeks, to be honest the place on the whole was great with a few negatives! Firstly food, there are 2 restaurants, we were half board so could use both, the seafood restaurant also had a vegetarian menu, which was good for us, we ate there 4 times and the children both enjoyed the seafood. The vegetarian menu had ample choice so we were able to alternate our food, although we did have the Thai Green Curry a lot because it was amazing! The other restaurant was buffet style until the last 3 days of our stay when it became a la carte, however to be honest we were not eating from the buffet as the vegetarian choice was very limited so we were offered the vegetarian menu from the seafood restaurant which helped. Lunch was very limited if you don't eat meat, so we often resorted to pizza, which can be rather repetitive. The accommodation was fantastic, we had one of the deluxe family villa, which meant the children had their own room, this was great and gave us plenty of space. The rooms were very clean and our bed was made up with flowers on our Wedding Anniversary and both my husband and my birthdays. Our house keeper was lovely too. There were 2 swimming pools but to be honest once the children decided they liked the one with the bridge and football goals they stayed in this one. My husband and I preferred to sit overlooking the sea, but we were happy to do this as we could still keep an eye on the children. It felt very safe the staff didn't allow anyone not staying at the hotel on the site and the people selling things were kept to the beach. We were able to swim in the sea and enjoy the waves. The entertainment was almost no existent, not once did any of the entertainment staff talk to us! There was nothing at night to interact with, 3 nights a week they have a couple who sing, they are ok, but obviously have a set and stick to it!!! There are 2 pool tables which we did play most nights, but the hotel was quite so they obviously decided nothing needed to be put on at night. Every day in the pool you could do aqua bikes, my son (11) and I both wanted to join in, I was told by a female member of staff if he could reach the peddles he could join, however a Male then said no he is too young, I pointed out I had seen a young girl doing it the day before, however he said no! This was my only interaction with the entertainment staff! (I was also a bit miffed the next 2 days when the same little girl who was younger than my son was allowed to join in!!) The rest of the staff we met were lovely, most knew my children by name and what they liked to drink or eat! It didn't bother us that it was quiet, it was to be expected at the time of year. It might have been nice to have something going on in the evening though! Also we booked all our tours through a local shop, not the reps, it was a lot cheaper, we used the ladies in the clothing shop across and right from the hotel, the ladies were all lovely and helpful and we could barter to get a better price, they were also cheaper for a taxi than the chap directly opposite the hotel, I would recommend you book with them if you want to go out and about. Overall it was a fantastic 2 weeks and like I said the negative points were only small!

"Friendly staff, nice room, great food!"
DLB93x, 27 Août 2018

Me and my two friends visited here between 21st - 26th August whilst staying in Bang tao. We checked in easily and then was shown to our room. I think the women took us the long route, as we had a tour of the hotel before getting to our room. The room was nice. It was big, clean and comfy with a nice ish view. We had a sea view room but we have had better views at other hotels. We had breakfast included in our booking so most mornings we went to breakfast, it was nice with a big variety to choose from. Including alot of fruit juices! We ate at the sea food restaurant once for dinner, the food was nice but abit expensive! The beach wasn't very nice, looked like something you would find in Benidorm or Blackpool. The hotel was quite busy whilst we were there, but we still managed to get sun beds by the pool! There were two pools at the hotel. There was a seven eleven opposite the hotel aswell as a few shops and restaurants with in walking distance, which was good. I would recommend.

"Great hotel in a great location "
rossmacscott, 15 Août 2018

We stayed in August 18 with my wife and two children. The hotel is clean, staff are very friendly and the location is great. We picked the All inclusive option which was great for hungry teenagers. Food was varied and nice, we missed lunch on two days as we had been out on tours and the bar made us some pizza to eat by the pool. The location is excellent as the hotel is on the beach, given August is low season the sea was rough but this is to be expected, the hotel displays flags to tell you if it is safe to swim. The beach is fantastic. Because of the big waves crashing onto the shore at high tide the gardeners were out every morning cleaning up the sand and rocks from around the resort, very clean once this was tidied up every day and no fault of the hotel. Outside of the hotel is very safe and there are lots of bars and places to eat. For 150 bhat you can take a ride to the night market or into other parts of the village. The hotel was quiet as it was the low season and the evenings we very quiet however for families this is perfect. Bang Tao is my favourite place in Puket and the hotel couldn't be faulted. Five stars.

"Lovely hotel - wrong time of year"
ILOVETHESUMMER, 08 Août 2018

We visited the BW bangtao at the end of July into August which is out of season for Thailand so the hotel in general was very quiet there was no evening entertainment apart from a live singer on the odd night who wasn't great there wasn't much going on during the day either but again this was probably a seasonal thing however there was an ample amount of guests so some activities/entertainment wouldn't have been wasted. The location of the hotel is spot on, right on the beach where there are sunbeds so you can sit and relax whilst watching the sea come in and out - paradise. The spa is very expensive! However there is a hut on the beach where you can get an hour massage for 400 bht which is nothing, there are also several massage parlours around bangtao anyway there is one across the road from the hotel. We were bed & breakfast for the duration of our stay the breakfast buffet was average there was omelette and boiled/scrambled eggs daily and your normal fruit and yogurt etc then there were things like boiled rice and sweet and sour fish which I found a bit bizarre to be eating first thing in the morning but we were in Thailand. Overall the hotel was lovely our room was a family triple which had a separate room for our 15 year old which he was delighted with (as were we lol) it was kept very clean and the cleaner made a visit every day without fail. You get bottled water in glasses every day which you can keep in the fridge for when you need it. The only down side is the beds, they are rock solid and take a bit of getting used to it's like sleeping on the floor, my son and I both had bad backs but a Thai massage sorted this out. I would definitely visit the BW Bangtao again the beds didn't put me off that much but I would go in season as Bangtao is quite far out from the main towns like Phuket and Patong so you need to get taxis in which is very expensive

"Fantastic experience"
PATRICIAENSENYAT, 07 Août 2018

- Well located, 30 mins from airport by taxi - Quiet area, away from Patong - Rooms are clean, well decorated and with balcony looking over the sea - Minibar well stocked - Staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. Any issues that you could encounter, are sorted at the minute without delays - There are two pools: one for families and one for adults - The Hotel is locates in front of the sea - There is a hotel staff that book tours for you. She is available from 10:30 hrs till 16:30 every day - There are two restaurants: one with international cuisine and the second one specialised on seafood (just for evening meal) - Spa is gorgeous: I recommend thai massage overlooking the sea - There are lots of activities planned for the guests (morning yoga is a must) - Food quality is beyond incredible: I recommend All Inclusive package or Full Board.

"25th Anniversary Holiday in Phuket - All Inclusive"
JLuz L, 01 Août 2018

I guess the best way to start this review is to say that I would be happy to holiday here again...it's not so much the facilities that this hotel has but the staff that make the holiday here an easy choice. The Room We had room 2305 and obviously I don't know if all rooms are the same but the room we had was fairly simple but had everything we needed and was always clean which is impressive as we did a lot of bodyboarding and surfing so couldn't help but get sand everywhere! We could have done with a bath to relax in it's true but the shower had to suffice and as it happens the shower was pretty good! Didn't ever switch on the TV and the balcony was used to dry our clothes overnight ready for the next day. I should point out that we had a bowl of fruit waiting for us as we were there for our anniversary and our cleaning lady made a wonderful happy birthday pattern with petals on the bed which was amazing. Food You have breakfast in the buffet restaurant and then a choice of a buffet restaurant or a seafood restaurant for lunch or dinner. The Seafood Restaurant has two menus to order from but you need to book a day in advance- not that they were busy but that is what they ask you to do...something which one lady with a daughter wouldn't accept ending the embarrassing situation with ‘but we don't like anything over there!' I really hope she didn't come from England. The buffet restaurant does target a region each evening (so they had a European food evening, a Thailand evening etc) but trust me there is always something that you will like there and the food is good. Interestingly, if there isn't that many people booked in for All inclusive at lunch time then they automatically send you to the Seafood Restaurant which I guess is good for both customer and staff. The restaurants are both very close to the sea and at high tide the waves are breaking against the rock barrier which is like spitting distance from the closest tables - wonderful drinking watermelon shakes while listening to the sound of the waves etc. I know that some reviews complain that there should be a dress code for the evening but it is a 4 star resort for families and as a father I can understand that if you have kids then getting dressed up can be hard work so no complaints. We were a couple so we turned out for the evening - each to their own. They had a couple provide live music every other night and we asked them to play two songs which they did and was very cool. Activities Most reviews mention how good the Activity Staff are and so actually when we got to the hotel in the morning we made a bee line to them to see what was going on etc (at this point I should say that we had barely finished the conversation when we were notified that our rooms were ready...brilliant). So they have two pool tables that are usually used in the evening by families but you have to pay with coins...we never had coins so we didn't get to play. The table tennis is by the second pool where the bar is and and had a cover over it mostly as it was windy but as much as I agree with another review who mentioned its in the wrong place I'm not sure where else they could put it. We actually brought our own bats but only played once out of the 14 days. They have two sit on top kayaks - great for November onwards when the water is still...I can imagine taking one out and doing some snorkelling from it! They have a number of windsurfing boards but didn't investigate these as it's far too rough. They had one intermediate surfboard which cost 400bt (£8 roughly) per hour. Lastly they had enough bodyboards for maybe two families which we used all the time. If you are all inclusive then the windsurfing boards, the kayaks and the bodyboards are free to use. Bizarrely, it felt like my wife and I were the only ones using the bodyboards which we did each day....the waves are incredible...1 hour and you have had a workout! The activity staff put on yoga, a fitness workout and Zumba each day if there was interest. We had lots of fun doing the Zumba with the activity staff and hopefully they also enjoyed our enthusiasm even though we were obviously hopeless at it. They have a small gym which we used once but it had everything you would want in a gym. The jacuzzi I think you have to pay for - this seems quite weird as they are usually free so I could be very wrong about that - and they do massages for the same price you would pay in England. Regarding the massages, there is a hut in the resort premises that separates the beach from the table-tennis and second pool where you can get massages for 400Bt. The ladies in there are all very good, the massage parlours that are dotted all over the place in Bang Tao are all 400Bt so unless you are paying an extra £25 for privacy I'm not totally sure and I'm not affluent enough to find out why the hotel would charge 1200+ for a massage. So to conclude, the resort has all the facilities to keep you happy but it's really the staff that make this a four star hotel for me. When you go on holiday you want everything to flow easily and for us the staff made that happen. Tipping wise, we tipped 20Bt daily for the room cleaning staff, 100Bt after lunch and dinner and 100Bt per massage and we also gave a 100Bt to the two musicians who obviously don't get tips that much from us tourists, as he got off his chair, made his way over to us to shake our hands...actually I was quite taken aback with how thankful he was. Massages We had a massage in the morning each day at the hut on the resort and as I say they are all good but you do need to ask for a gentle massage as the usual Tai massage is like being beaten up but somehow you feel good after it. There is one lady who I have dubbed the ninja and if you see her give massages you will instantly understand why. I tore my calf muscle a couple of years ago and if you press down in certain places it hurts. They found that place on the first visit but all other visits they all seemed to be aware of my calf muscle issue no matter which lady I had. We visited the massage parlour across the street from the resort and also the massage parlour next door to them but found that there was only one good masseuse in each parlour the rest kind of just went through the motions so on the second week we went further afield. If you turn right out of the resort past the Restaurants, around the corner, over the little bridge and left at the T junction. Past the Heavenly massage parlour which looks a little shady, on the right side of the road you will see Crystal Massage which is run by one lady and joined by another at 5pm onwards. Both of these ladies give lovely oil massages - they do not do Thai massages - and aloe Vera massages for 400bt which is also cheapest around. However next door is another massage parlour where a certain masseuse named ‘Gift' gives the best relaxing massage ever. I almost cried when she gave me my first massage...they are exceptional! After that I rotated with my wife having a massage with Crystal Massage and then with Gift next door. Trips We only did one trip as I'm not sure they ever live up to your expectations. We booked our rafting trip with a tour shop outside the resort by the restaurants, we were given a brochure which looked very similar to the ones in the hotel except the trip was 1000bt cheaper. On the day we were picked up by a minibus that collected other tourists from various hotels...the trip offered a ride on the flying fox zip wire, an elephant show, an elephant ride, quad-biking, rafting and then a visit to a couple of places. You selected what you wanted to do and we selected the minimum which was an elephant ride and rafting. What we didn't know is that everything is in the same place so while we waited for some of the tourists to go on the Flying Fox - which was rubbish by the way - and the quad-bikes, which a French family found them to be fairly old and underwhelming, oh and watch the baby elephant perform (and then be chained up between performances) we kind of had to stand around waiting and endure the elephant show about 4 times. We just felt sorry for the elephants and were thankful when we finally left for the rafting. However on our way we did pass more Elephant places which had their own Flying Fox and looked as if they were better cared for, so I wonder if I had booked with the hotel would we have got those places. Surfing After enjoying 1 hour of surfing with the hotels surfboard we discovered Skyla which give local kids surfing lessons - sometimes right next to the resort - anyway they have a yellow tent on the beach that you can walk to and hire surfboards from them. So we ended up negotiating a very reasonable rate so that I could walk down at anytime and do some surfing. I can surf all day at Woolacombe Bay in England but an hour in the water at Bang Tao and I'm done....fantastic fun but hard work...the second week I have to confess to doing more bodyboarding than surfing. Anyway, we had an excellent time and I hope that has been useful.

"The best"
chanelleaa, 26 Juillet 2018

This was so amazing. The hotel is clean and fresh. The pools are clean. The sea is right there. Loads of restaurants outside. Can have street food for lunch. The staff is great. The buffet I thought wasn't great till I came to Bangkok. So I can say the buffet is amazing. I just wish at night they did more Thai food and less western food as I came to Thailand to eat they food and culture. The weary of the cruises. The brochure lies you won't see all those things. I would recommend this hotel. Our room was on the ground floor and the pool was right outside. For cheaper massages but still great as we did both the hotel one and the ladies near the big pool. I can the ladies near the big pool are worth every penny.

"Heavenly"
Wenwin01, 25 Juillet 2018

I honestly couldn't fault this resort for anything at all. The staff are efficient and polite, the facilities are just marvelous. Particularly enjoyed the outside massage area, the setting is simply divine and all in all gets the best rating from me. Would go back in a flash!

"Can't fault this place"
Rina C, 23 Juillet 2018

What an amazing place to stay. We had no idea about the location or this hotel prior to our arrival, but it was the best. The facilities are fantastic, three pools (well maintained), 2 restaurants, 2 bars, a gym, spa, massage, kids club, pool tables, free activities (yoga, zumba, aqua bike) just to name a few. The grounds are immaculate. The staff are courteous, delightful, and unobtrusive. The location has a small but busy local street behind it with lots of eateries, massage places and minimarts as well as a few souvenir shops, tailors, taxis etc The rooms are clean and comfortable (cleaned daily) with great airconditioning. The beds are a little firm but fine. Modern bathrooms with all the little extras. We didnt have a pool facing room but our room was quiet. This is a four story facility with no lifts just stairs. The luggage is bought to your room if it is on the higher floors. Be sure to request a ground floor room if you cant do stairs. There are lots if tours available from the concierge who are very helpful and can arrange all of your day trips etc for you. Finally the scenery from the resturants and beach front are stunning. This is a great spot for families or people that dont need the craziness that Patong offers. We will be coming back. A perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries. You can do lots or you can do nothing.

BEST WESTERN PREMIER Bangtao Beach Resort & Spa 124/29 Moo 3 - Bangtao Beach Cheung Thalay Tambon Choeng Thale, Amphoe Thalang, Chang Wat Phuket 83110, Thailand Hotel We just enjoyed our 6th visit to this resort .We love the boutique style atmosphere and the location of this resort. We are usually there in low season but there is always an abundance of friendly staff who welcome you as if you were family. (special thanks to Alliwayne Torrecampo Reservation Officer)for fulfilling our group reservation. The surrounding area has everything you need from 7/11 to chemist's, great restaurants, tailors , night markets and of course massages. Buffet brekkie is awesome and the restaurant at night provides live entertainment and quality food. The gardens are immaculate, In fact the entire resort is spotless. I would recommend this resort to anybody , regards, Shane Cahill from Australia.

vespasian3583, 15 Juin 2018

Visited mid June 2018 and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is clean and well maintained with lots of Staff to make our stay comfortable. It is off season so there were just enough other guests to have some company around the resort but not queues for food or sunbeds etc. A big thanks to Dhan, the ever smiling Foy and the rest of the breakfast team for an excellent dining experience. The only downside is that the beds are a little firm but overall, an enjoyable stay

"Amazing Stay "
gavaksh, 14 Juin 2018

We stayed here for 2nights on our Phuket trip. From the moment you enter you are left awestruck with the ambience. The check in was smooth and staff showed us around the resort. We were upgraded to room 4309 a sea facing room. The view from room was breathtaking. The room is very spacious and has a balcony. We spent most time around the pool area, free beach towels are also given. We also went for massage at Spa and it was very relaxing. They had a special promotion buy 1 get 1 free. The breakfast was wholesome and lot of options to choose from. We loved our stay especially the hospitality of Mr. D from check in desk. The only thing that stopped us giving it 5/5 rating was that we asked for a wake up call which we never received for our early morning flight. Luckily we were able to reach just in time. We would definitely visit again

"Peace and quiet "
allens27, 27 Mai 2018

This hotel is set right on the beautiful sandy bang tao beach, if your looking for a slower paced retreat this could be for you. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the service is friendly. The restaurant overlooks the beach and the food is varied and fresh. Also there are only a handful of restaurants outside the resort, but they serve good food. The transfer to and from the airport is approx 30 minutes but is reasonably priced. This resort is away from the main town so its ideal for snoozing by the pool, and for us the sound of palm trees in the breeze and the relaxing atmosphere we're a great way to recharge.

"Very noisy"
Themilkstar72, 11 Mai 2018

Nice place to stay ,until arrogant people stay up all night and make as much noise as they like.Very noisy in the family suites in the garden area..It amazes me how people think they have the right to make noise at all hours of the morning .

"Very Nice!"
Sally W, 07 Mai 2018

We are here now, have been here for more than a week. Love it. Pools and beach are lovely. Staff are all great. If you ask for something it is sorted very quickly. We love our ground floor rooms by the main pool. Housekeeping staff do a great job every day. Gardens are lovely and constantly being maintained. What a great team of staff! Thank you to everyone.

"Great hotel "
wonderwomanGrimsby, 04 Mai 2018

Been home 6 weeks now but my heart is still there. Arrived at hotel at 9.45 am knowing that check in is 2pm. Check in was smooth quick and very friendly..we were informed that our room wasn't ready but would be by about 12pm. We were pointed in the direction of a changing room and within half hour was on sunbed by the pool with a drink in hand. Our room was available at 12 when we went back to reception so they try their hardest to get you in asap. Their are 2 pools ..one where the daily entertainment takes place and a quiet pool with swim up bar..we chose the quiet one in the morning and the other one in the afternoon once the daily entertainment was finished. The gardens are kept beautifully clean and tidy as is the rest of the hotel ..faultless. there are a lot of trees and could be a problem if you like baking in the sun ..which we do ..but you can move with the sun throughout the day with no issues as a lot of people like shade so you kind of swap around. No sunbed on the beach as against new Thai regulations but there are beds a step up from the beach with the sea views. We were in room 3209 which is around the noisier pool but it was never really noisy we had a great view of pool and beach so we were happy. The room was lovely and big with everything you need in it from flip flops and slippers and robes to toiletries and for the ladies ..the hairdryer is a good one so leave yours at home. As we went for my belated 50th birthday they had decorated the bed with happy 50th upon our arrival and then a bowl of fruit was delivered ..nice touches. As we were all inclusive we ate at the hotel throughout and the food was lovely ..fresh and beautifully presented..and the welcome from the staff upon entering made us feel like royalty ...sitting outside with fantastic views of the beach and sea everyday was fab. The seafood restaurant which you book to use the day before is so nice. You choose from a menu and are served at the table ..it's so relaxing and the food is mmm lovely. We only used this one a few times but should have used it far more on reflection. Night time entertainment is actually done in the dining room which is strange but they had lovely singers and dancers on ..then the resident jet tours club did some games and things that were really for the French guests although we were invited to join in a few times. This animation team can be quite loud and take up quite a lot of space around quite a small bar but we just tried to switch off from them really. There are plenty of restaurants and shops directly outside the hotel for anything you need and all reasonably priced ..and you feel very safe whilst walking outside of hotel and the people are very friendly and don't hassle you which was really nice. The beach was lovely ..soft sand warm sea ..and if you got the energy in that heat a great walk ..probably take a few hours to walk the full bay. We did trips to phi phi island ..the early bird one ..another day trip to James bond island ..quad biking for half day to big Buddha.. which I will add you either have to be brave or mental to do as the forest paths were very uneven and narrow with big steep up and down bits which scared us veteran quadbikers lol..so be warned. All these trips are well organised and punctual and all great value for money. We booked outside the hotel at one of the shops and as we booked 3 trips at once got a great deal.. our last trip was half day to the jungle elephant sanctuary ..this was just unbelievable..the best experience up close to rescued elephants bathing and feeding them. There is no riding them here thank goodness just lots of love and care for the elephants ..I would highly recommend this trip at £55 each and that includes transport and a gorgeous Thai lunch and a free souvenir. Not really any complaints about this small lovely resort except maybe some more comfortable seating around the bar area needed as when jet tours do their nightly entertainment it can get quite loud and you end up sat in the middle of it ..maybe open the swim up bar for people who want to sit and talk on a night time as the bar is quite small anyway and would ease the build-up also..other than that I have no complaints at all.. the vbar staff work so hard and are so friendly too ..loved Arvie and Nan..and the others whose names I've forgotten ..they are a credit to the hotel. So despite the fact we had never fancied Thailand..within an hour of arriving I had fell in love with the hotel food beach and more so the thai people who work so hard to make sure we had a great time ..thankyou to you all ..and we will see you all on March 6th 2019 as we miss the place so bad and just wanna come back that much we rebooked today ...305 days to go lol Looking forward to seeing you all again take care til March

"Perfect place for a holiday"
roberthklein, 04 Mai 2018

Spent 3 nights in this nice hotel - top service and nice atmosphere. There is plenty of space on the whole ground of the hotel - a perfect treat for a family on holiday. If you have any questions or need help just ask for Michael - the French man working in the lobby of the hotel. He is very polite and tries to help wherever he can and has lots of advises for things to do on Phuket island.

"Hotel with a smile"
veen0592, 28 Avril 2018

A great hotel, very well kept and clean rooms. Hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden and is right on the beach. The restaurant with buffet style, both with breakfast, lunch and dinner, always plenty of choice and varied. The food was excellent. The employees of the hotel, from gardeners, cleaning staff, service all super friendly and always with a smile. The rooms always clean, good hotel. Although it is clearly indicated that the sunbeds are not allowed to be reserved with towels, what everyone just does, it is not supervised here, fortunately plenty of sunbeds, but that could be better. Opposite the hotel a good supermarket as well as plenty of cash machines. For the hotel everything can be booked in the room, which is very handy. Top holiday

"Nice hotel"
Jacqui M, 22 Avril 2018

Arrived at the hotel and allocated room earlier than anticipated which was brilliant. Room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel was nice , along with the staff, lots of French people staying . We stayed over Xmas and New year and a lot of effort was put into decorating the hotel and the gala meals were excellent. Breakfast was reasonable along with evening buffet. Cons The entertainment Christmas Eve was a let down , the entertainment not good, they done some sort of mime thing which I don't believe anyone understood , it was slightly improved on New Year's Eve. All the sun beds are under the trees beachside, I believe a law regarding sun beds prevent the hotel from having them on the beach, but maybe prune the trees. Would I go back, no much better hotels in Thailand, although saying that there is nothing really bad at the hotel , maybe just not our cup of tea

"Fab first visit"
JanMEngland, 21 Avril 2018

Oh my goodness what a fab place to visit and we were so lucky to celebrate Thai New Year. The hotel is relatively small and very comfortable. The staff cannot do enough for you. Credit goes to Zake, Bew, Nan and Ban who made our holiday special. The food is absolutely gorgeous and you really are spoilt. The shows were great and I really loved the Thai traditional dancers. We spent a lot of time at the poolside as no loungers allowed on the beach but we did go onto the beach and in the sea which was so warm. We booked our trips through the Hotel with Ban who gave us great help and advice. We did two trips into Patong and one to Phuket town to the market. Our guys did river rafting and ATVs and we all did zip lining, James Bond Island and Phi Phi Island tours. All worthwhile. Thanks so much to everyone who made our stay so very memorable.

"Not as expected"
Mark H, 20 Avril 2018

Best western bangtao 31st March 2018-21 April 2018 TUI (Thompson) £4800 all inclusive. Reception We arrived at the hotel about 9 am. The hotel is quite un-assuming from the road but once inside it opens up like the tardis. On arrival our room was not ready (but we knew that in advance). We checked in, and everything was explained to us regarding bars, restaurants and activities. And we were given the appropriate leaflets etc, then off we went for breakfast. Which was plentiful and very tasty. Our room was ready at about 11 am and we were taken to our room and a porter followed shortly after with our bags. The reception staff are very knowledgeable and speak fairly good English. Room The room we had (3802) was clean spacious, airy and had a balcony over looking the main pool. The bed is about 6ft wide and although I found it very uncomfortable (like sleeping on a plank of wood) other guests we spoke to also found the beds uncomfortable. It got to a point I actually couldn't walk it hurt my back so much. I spent 16 years in the army and I have slept in more comfortable trenches and Fox holes ! But upon request the housekeeping put 2 single mattresses on the bed from two put you up beds. Not the greatest solution from a 4* hotel. The air conditioning is very good and it's nice to be able to go back to a cool room after spending all day in the sunshine. There is a safe (which is free) and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. We brought with us over 50kg of luggage for a 3 week stay and there was still plenty of space left once we had unpacked. However our room seemed to be infested with either fleas or mosquitoes and despite taking all the precautions it is the only place we got bitten and no one else we spoke to seemed to get bitten as much as us. Again housekeeping took care of the problem for us and all was well after they sprayed the room. After that we sprayed our bed regularly with mosquito spray that we brought with us. My motto is ask politely and it will be done. No good moaning here if you didn't ask to rectify an issue. Bathroom The bathroom is very spacious with a huge shower and plenty of hot water. Good size sink and room to store all those bathroom items. The loo is a loo (enough said) The sink didn't fill as there was no rubber ring around the push plug. But no matter I just shaved in the shower. Dining room Firstly there should be some sort of dress code for the dining room and bar area. I for one do not want to see bear chested sweaty vest wearing men eating their meals. And the cardinal sin of dining .... men wearing hats at the dinner table. I have to say mostly European men are guilty of this. However, the dining room is very spacious and well laid out. Just enough breeze off the sea to keep it cool. The food in the dining room is always good and freshly cooked and they even have a “live” cooking station where they cook fresh food to order. The meals are very tasty. And cooked to perfection. The only downside to the food is ...... most of it is not Thai food ....... erm hello we are in Thailand! It seems that the food is catered towards the French and Germans (there's a surprise) as another holiday company (club jet tours) brings copious amounts of French and Germans to the hotel. For the life of me I can't understand why you would go all the way to Thailand to eat the same food you eat at home. Surely the point of going to foreign parts is to experience that culture. Having said all that when Thai food was on offer it was truly delicious. The staff are very professional and are always busy and always with a smile. But if you want experience real Thai food leave the hotel for one of the many pop up restaurants outside on the main road. If you want lunch without the up heaval of moving everything to the restaurant try the lunch menu at the bar. It's all Thai food and the pad Thai is to die for as is the red curry. Sea food restaurant We booked into the sea food restaurant one evening and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The portions are ample. In fact on our second visit to the restaurant we had starters as our mains aswell. I had a mix of sea food and my partner had fish and chips (I know!) The service was great and the food was fantastic. The portion sizes are also very generous. So much that on our second visit we had starters for main course. The fruit platter is enough for 2 people. Bar The bar area is fairly big and well staffed. As with the restaurant you have to sign for everything. It would be a lot easier for a quick computer update and to then swipe your room card each time. The paper work created by the current system must be phenomenal. It is also worth noting that they allow smoking at the bar despite (at check in) you agreeing to the hotel being non smoking. I complained to the management about the smoking and vaping but was told nothing could be done about it. The service is great at the bar and always greeted with a smile from the staff especially “Nan” she is always cheerful and pleasant. She is an absolute asset to the hotel. SMOKING AT THE BAR SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED. And permitting e cigarettes is even worse ! Entertainment It is what it is. Hotel entertainment. Something different most nights from a soul singer to traditional Thai dancing and lady boy show ! All in all a good laugh if nothing else and most only lasts 30-40 min. So it's a good watch. Pool area The pool area is spacious clean and tidy. Plenty of sun beds and despite the signs saying you are not allowed to reserve your sun beds by putting towels on them, the usual suspects are still out there at 6 am doing just that. And the staff seem powerless or unwilling to to stop it. Although it may also be that the Thai people are wonderful non confrontational people. It is also worth noting that apart from reception or the restaurant there is actually no where to sit. I mean no where. You are either laying in bed or laying on a sun lounger. At the main pool there is a pool bar and the service there is great. You can order your lunch from the lunch menu and it is delivered to the bar about 10-15 minutes later and boy is it tasty and hot and plentiful. I would suggest that after a few days in the main dining room the the bar food will be a refreshing change. It's Thai. It's fresh. It's hot and plentiful. Overall Overall the hotel is great. It's everything you'd expect from a 4* Hotel. And nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always smiling and willing to help. During our stay our door lock broke twice and an engineer was on it in a flash ! The electricity goes off and on on a regular basis for 2-3 hours at a time. When it rains (and it does rain)(mostly at night)) various parts of the hotel get flooded due to lack of (or just Thai) guttering. From a personal point of view I would stay here again even though the amenities seem to be weighed towards a bigger holiday company whether this is intentional or a natural progression over several years I'm not sure. I'm going to guess the latter. Also the French are very loud especially after a drink or two and in the middle of the night. We also came across a scam that families with children do. And it is this, pay for bed & breakfast and at breakfast fill up bags with croissants and take them away. A nice little scam. We watched a French family of 6 do exactly that over 2 weeks that's 84 lunches saved at an average of £45 per day (£630) not a bad way to save some money on holiday. It's commonly known as stealing. It is worth noting that whilst we normally go adults only, this hotel is a family hotel. But for the most part the families seem to stick to the 2 smaller pools. With the odd exception (as always) a French family seemed to think it was ok to throw your toddlers screaming and kicking into the pool at 0730 am ! Waking everyone up. As our room and a lot of other rooms over look the pool. Nothing I've written here is a moan,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here I'm merely trying to write an honest and frank review. We would recommend this resort. It's everything you need in one stop ........ but you might want to take an inflatable mattress!

"A wonderful stay"

The Best Western on the Bangtao beach is a great place to relax. We loved everything starting from our comfy accommodation to the excellent and kind staff who rendered impeccable services in and around the resort. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you to the team of Best Western Premier Bangtao for making our stay so special. We look forward to coming back.

"Wonderful holiday "
Dave B, 13 Avril 2018

We have just arrived home from our stay here & I can only give 100% positive feedback. The location right on the coast is spot on, the staff are all incredibly friendly, the rooms very comfortable & of a good size. We only stayed on a b&b basis so can't comment on the food quality for lunch or dinner, but the breakfasts were very good, great variety & the omelette station, which also, cooks French toast, mini pancakes & eggs to order, was well used. There are 2 main pools, we were housed at the far end of the complex & used that pool which we thought was a bit quieter or walked the 50yds to the beach. We highly recommend this hotel & can safely say we have every intention of visiting again in the future.

"great hotel"
Bert R, 11 Avril 2018

great hotel on the beach. provided with 3 swimming pools. good western and thai breakfast. Nice big rooms with enough space. excellent swimming pool bar. kid club and several sporting events well organized. hotel visitors are mainly France, russian and german.

"Welcome back"
nicholasandronald, 08 Avril 2018

3rd visit to this hotel, and this visit was better than ever, great renovation to the guest room, Ri, our chamber maid did a great job, our room was spotless every day for 17 days. As we were returning guests we got a few treats, voucher for free cocktails, 10% discount on all food and drink, 20% discount on spa treatments. Although this hotel is one of many along bang Tao beach, it is a really friendly hotel, the staff are so friendly, Tea on reception, the breakfast team, the beach towel guys, and last but not least Wandee, one of the management team, always so friendly, and generously let us keep our room till 3 p.m. with no extra charge. Everywhere in the hotel/ gardens is so beautifully kept. We as a couple, love Bang Tao beach , it's one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand, and certainly on Phuket, if you walk away from the hotel, you can walk for roughly 8km to the far end of the beach which is far less commercialised, sitting by the pool all day, not for us. The breakfast at the hotel is fantastic, just so much choice, can't fault the hotel in anyway, great value for money.

"Not the best but not the worst"
angharad m, 05 Avril 2018

The main areas of the hotel are spotless and cleaned every 5-10 minutes, however the pool was dreadful. There is a layer of algae and body scum around the tiles..children were writing their names in and this remained for the whole 2 weeks. Sunbeds are not cleaned and there is the sun cream from the previous several occupants on them. There was mould at the side of the pool from things that have been spilt. These areas are swept but not cleaned, as you see daily in all other hotels we have ever been to. The cleanliness of the pool meant our children stopped using it (by their own choice) the last few days - They saw what was floating when using goggles. I do not think the filter was working. Never an issue getting beds around the pool though, which was great. I think you have to get there early to get a seafront view bed though. We didn't so not an issue for us. Staff - all smiling and friendly but very intrusive. Three times at night they just let themselves in our room to give flowers. Seriously knocked and entered at night - they were very lucky that we were not in a state of undress! Haha. Putting the chain on does not stop them, or the do not disturb sign. Noooo they just rattle the door on the chain shouting "flowers". Just be aware of this total lack of privacy in the villas. The food is good, but do not expect huge variety and their themed nights are nonsense. Everything is a variation of the night before. Food quality was excellent though. Service OTT. Three people to bring you a drink to the table every time. Is over kill and quiet uncomfortable. I have read on here that housekeeping is excellent. That must be in the hotel, we stayed in the villas and it was lacking. They'd be in there for ages and make the bed, empty the bin and put in fresh towels. They never cleaned the bathroom and often did not replenish the water, coffee, tea and so on. No problem as reception would have it delivered within minutes. The hotel felt predatory in the waiting to part you with as much cash as possible. I have never stayed anywhere where there is lists of fines everywhere, seriously there is an overpriced list of items for the room. Break or take a tiny cheap basket (that holds the tea and coffee sachets) 350 THB. It made you feel like they expected you to steal from them. Something I have never done and did not like the constant implication that I would. Before you pay to play pool, look at the price list of items, should you damage something accidentally, it would be cheaper to ship your own pool table over. A minor grumble, I know, just never had it before and it made me feel uneasy. There have been lots of complaints about the French company, Jet tours. Don't see why. Usual pool games, dancing etc. They where fun and did not bother us in the slightest. Staff - The gardening team are exceptional and keep the grounds pristine. Actually they were lovely too, always friendly. Reception staff were great, really great. Trips - The majority we booked through first choice, prior to arrival and they were wonderful. We booked a mini city tour (C2 is the code) through the hotel and provided by James Bond Island tours (or something to that effect). Warning - you visit a "duty free shop" this is a gem store, a honey factory (no tour of the hives - just show you overpriced honey and give you the hard sell) and the cashew nut factory - this is an over priced shop not a factory. You spend more time in these than the sites. Not the hotels fault at all and we expect at least one hard sell tour of something BUT three, just WOW. Mentioned just to give you a heads up. Elephants - we know that they are not well looked after in Thailand. Expect to see heartbreaking sites. If you want to visit them I recommend the seaside elephant retreat in Khao Lak. They do not allow riding. Excellent range of good quality drinks and their milkshakes are lovely. Friendly bar staff. Bar snacks are great quality too if you don't fancy the restaurant. Public toilets here are just so clean! Excellent job. This hotel is okay but not excellent or even that good. Great as a base. It could be so much more but the management - who walked round the pool several times a day did not seem to be worried about the filth. But hey ho, nobody got ill and all in all we enjoyed it. Would not return.

"Brilliant Holiday"
KevinSue1702, 02 Avril 2018

This was our first visit to Thailand, this hotel made our holiday even better. Our room was not ready when we arrived, so we were given a voucher for breakfast. It was a while before our room was ready, we were given a Villa. The room was spacious, lots of extras and a fresh fruit bowl bought to the room. The staff are all very friendly and polite. Food was good, the hot food was hot and salads were cold, not both luke warm as we have experienced in other All Inclusive hotels. There is a seafood restaurant that you have to book the day before, it is well worth it, food was lovely. There are two pools, one is quieter than the other, the water is warm. The gardens are well maintained, and you can often see cleaners around the lobby area. Alcohol is not served until 12pm, all cocktails are made fresh. You do have to sign for all your drinks as not all guests are All Inclusive. There are sellers on the beach, but they are friendly and polite and don't hassle you. Just a few yards outside the hotel are shops, bars and restaurants, and money exchange booths - the exchange rate is slightly better than the hotel. The british are in the minority here, the clientel is mainly French and German - we didn't have a problem with this and still had a good time. All in all would we go again - yes.

"Great hotel"
mp8625, 18 Mars 2018

Only a small hotel however we found it a fantastic place to stay. We were all inclusive and found there was plenty of food on offer and a great selection of drinks. Never had an issue getting sun loungers next to the pool. What makes this hotel are the staff, all very happy and will help you with any questions you have. We arrived early so our rooms were not ready but the reception staff worked hard with house keeping to get them for us as soon as they could. I have never returned to the same hotel for a holiday but will definitely be coming back here.

"A Cosmopolitan Hotel"
yorkspuds, 16 Mars 2018

Our first time at this Best Western franchise, which we booked independently and direct with the hotel. A quick and pleasant check in and shown to our room - 5406 The hotel is set in a ‘E' shape of 5 blocks (plus bungalows) and we were situated in Block 5 on the top (4) floor - which is the furthest Block from the exit and reception. Please note - For those that are not able bodied, this hotel has no lifts at all and it is quite a trek to the top floor. We had no difficulties with the steps but some people might. -Many of the steps are on the outside of the building and as as there can be occasional torrential downpours, you might well get soaked. However, the hotel does supply umbrellas in your room, you just have to remember to take them if rain is forecast! Our room was large with a super king bed. The room was very clean and our lovely maid - Sarinee - kept it spotless. The bathroom had a modern walk in shower and there were plenty of toiletries - soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. There was also in our wardrobe, 2 bathrobes, flip flops and slippers for guest use. WiFi was free in the room and we found the signal to be pretty good. There is a big fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee and a litre of bottled water is replenished daily. We found our block (5) which overlooks the second pool, to be quiet. Blocks 1&2 overlook the first pool and are where the animation team work and above the small lobby bar/buffet dining area, so these blocks could be noisy. Breakfast was very good with lots of fresh fruit, cereals, breads, salads, the usual cooked western breakfast fare as well as Thai food - noodles, greens, sweet & sour fish and a number of Thai meat dishes. There is also an ‘eggs to order' station too. Coffee is reasonable - poured by the wait staff or there is a machine for cappuccino/espresso etc which is slightly better. As we were only B&B we cannot comment on other meals. There are lots of restaurants around the hotel and we had no problems eating out. There is also a 7/11 just outside the front door and a number of other small, but well stocked, supermarkets and pharmacies a matter of meters away. The whole area is very low key with all you will need for a relaxing holiday. As we were at the end of a long 4 week trip we made use of the laundry services just outside the hotel - 50Bht per kilo (about £1.20). The hotel sits on a beautiful, gently shelving beach with golden sand. The sea was warm (29C) with a long shallow area. There are one or two local folk selling the usual items on the beach but it is all low key and absolutely no hassle. Mention has been made to the number of trees affording shade in the hotel Grounds (which are beautifully kept). In fact we found this a bonus as the sun can be very hot here and it was good to seek out the shade. In fact we got great tans through the dappled light. We made use of the hotel shuttle to Phuket town one day - as there were only 2 of us, it worked out cheaper to use the shuttle as a taxi place quoted more. We paid 650 for 2 return (about £15). We enjoyed the trip and the old part of Phuket town was interesting. Guests are from around the world, but mostly from France (Club Jet Tours has a big presence), Scandinavia, Russia, Germany and a few from the UK. All the staff without exception were helpful and charming. We very enjoyed our stay here and if we are ever back in Phuket would happily return.

"Fantastic Holiday"
scouse64, 16 Mars 2018

We returned from holiday yesterday after a fantastic 2 weeks at the BW. We had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the quieter pool in block 5 so where not bothered by the loud french tourists, but could see why people that had rooms above the lobby bar would have been bothered as the French where noisy and took over the big pool and the lobby bar. The room was clean and well decorated and very spacious, the food is excellent with plenty of choice and all of the staff went out of their way to provide a fantastic service. During the holiday my girlfriend trapped her finger in the sunbed and needed to go to hospital for stitches, the hotel staff where great and even left a bunch of flowers in the room with a get well message. All in all we had a great holiday, and even though the French are noisy this didn't spoil our holiday. We will be thinking of returning next year. Thanks BW for a great holiday.

"Lovely Hotel Spoiled By French Holiday Company."
Jeanette P, 13 Mars 2018

This hotel is lovely, fantastic service from staff, food okish (a bit repetitive) the a-la-carte not great a bit like pub grub. The hotel and rooms are clean, it has an amazing beach and one of the pools is quiet and relaxing. It is in a great area with just enough shops and restaurants. I have to agree with other reviewers in that it is spoiled by the French Jet-tours animation team who are very noisy, in your face, they take over the bar and one of the pools. Their guests are rowdy, rude and generally rough! Benidorm in Bang Tao for the French mob. I wondered at times if they had won a competition to be there. Anyone who has been to this hotel will know who I mean by Jet Boy who is probably 45 and acting like he is working for a club 18-30's holiday, a complete w****r. It was very hard to relax with the party events which are constant. It is impossible to have a drink at the bar without the cloud of smoke and football like chanting. In my opinion the hotel should have a larger bar with a seating area with tables. Maybe a jet-tours bar and another evening chill out bar for everyone else who likes to have a drink on holiday (maybe keep the pool bar open). We were even asked by animation team to move from our seats inside during a thunder storm so they could set up their party equipment. On an evening many of the non french guests got their drinks in plastic glasses to sit on the sunbeds near the beach away from it all. In our room which was right above all the action, it was impossible to sit out to chill and even with the sliding windows shut you could still hear the constant noise. Even though we were all inclusive we ended up eating out every night to get away from it all. It's such a shame as this hotel would be amazing without the tacky jet tours club. I am also annoyed with TUI as I had requested a quiet room which I didn't get. I would like to return especially to Bang Tao which by the way has some fabulous eating places and very friendly people especially the corn lady on the beach. Maybe a different hotel next time - shame!

"Too noisy"
Elwood2012, 06 Mars 2018

In a nutshell, if you don't mind noise and chaos and lots of it, this is otherwise a great place in my opinion. But I didn't pay this kind of money to be deafened and disturbed constantly. The crux of the problem seems to be that BW has sold their soul at this location to a French tour company called Club Jet Tours. I guess they keep a steady flow of French tourists coming in. This club keeps several employees on site, one of whom just can't seem to not be shrieking like a baboon in heat most of the time. Ditto his female counterpart, and exhorting they're guests to do the same. The kids with this group run roughshod over the entire main pool area, jumping, diving, doing somersaults into the pool directly in front of other guests, splashing everybody. All in contravention of clearly posted signs prohibiting this behaviour. The actual BW staff does nothing to intervene. (The management may point out that there is in fact another pool, arguably quieter. This is true. It's just not as nice, and not where we wanted to be. And shouldn't be used as an excuse for this sort of chaos.) So that's daily life by the pool. In the evenings, this same group takes over the main restaurant and sets up a stage with microphones, music, and a couple of million watts of amplification. Which routinely kept my wife and I awake well past our bedtime. After one of several complaints of mine about this, the management response was "We asked them to turn it down". ......Asked? Who owns this place? How does Club Jet Tours even have the latitude to ignore BW staff asking them to turn the noise down? As I said, sold their soul, I guess. But otherwise a great place. Front desk staff were always helpful, room was cleaned and re-stocked every day. Shame about the noise.

"FANTASTIC HOTEL"
taggy1965, 03 Mars 2018

My wife and myself stayed at The Best Western from 01 Feb - 15 Feb 2018 and had a superb time. The staff are great as is the food and the location is superb too with nothing much to worry about! Location - The hotel is situated alongside a small resort and when you arrive the hotel entrance is slightly underwhelming but this changes when you get inside and things get so much better. The resort outside is great and very safe so perfect if you fancy popping out of a beer or two and maybe a meal just to change the scenery. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops plus car/moped rentals and plenty of massage shops and also there is a 7/11 and a pharmacy opposite the hotel. Food - The choice of food is not as massive as some of the hotels I have stayed at but the quality is without doubt the best. Virtually all the food is Thai based (as you would expect) and it is cooked fresh plus there is a nice salad bar and at lunchtime there is a small snack station with burgers and chips plus a pasta station where the food is cooked fresh. There is a speciality restaurant that you have to book for and try it at the start of your holiday because the food is ordered off a menu and is superb! Pool/Beach - there are 2 pools with the bigger one having the pool bar attached and there are plenty of sunbeds but you do have to get down early to get the best ones. There are palm trees everywhere at this hotel and also along the beach and although it makes the resort very pretty it is a problem if you are a 9 to 5 sunworshipper as only a small part of the big pool gets sun all day and if you sit by the beach it is sporadic sun through the breaks in the trees but you can go further down the beach where it is sunny all day long. Don't be worried though because the resort is lovely Bars/Entertainment - all the staff are brilliant and very friendly and the local beer Chang is pretty good and I am no lager lover either. The entertainment is ok but they do make an effort and the local team put on karaoke and quizzes at night if that's your thing! Rooms - the rooms are fine with ours being very spacious and had comfy beds with a balcony that overlooked the bigger pool so if I was you I would email before you go with any requests as I did and got what I wanted. Gym - the gym is ok if you go at the right time as it is quite small but has everything you need for a workout - 2 runners, 2 bikes and a decent multi gym plus a few weights. All in all the Best Western really is a great hotel set in a fantastic location on the beautiful Bangtao beach so if you have booked then you have made a damn fine choice ????

"Lacks Service"
_lyzinsing, 28 Février 2018

We stayed at Best Western Premier the day after Christmas 2017 for 3 nights and the staff throughout the hotel was not the friendliest. On of the days we left our do not disturb sign on the door for only two hours and housekeeping failed to service our room the entire day. Since rates are at a premium after Christmas, I felt the rate did not match the value, hence wrote a review in Dec. Upon listing my not so favorable review, their communication supervisor trolled through my social media and sent me an email they would give me a 10% discount if I changed my TripAdvisor review. Quite unprofessional and unethical, so beware if you add an unfavorable review, they will troll through your social media

"Smoke at bar"
colinmort, 26 Février 2018

Here at moment lovely hotel and food but the big let down is people being able to smoke at bar near restaurant which is no smoking everyone round bar is smoking some people smoking cigars so you have to stand in a wall of smoke to get a drink not the best please mangerment sort this out and have a smoking area away from bar area

"Very good hotel right on the beach"
Darren207, 21 Février 2018

Great hotel with lovely pools and all nice and clean. We had a sea view room on the second floor (this we would call the first floor) the room was in the first block so close to the reception way out, the room had a king size bed, bathroom with dressing gown, slippers and flip flops provided and bottled water every day and a large refrigerator.. We chose not to upgrade to all inclusive as it there are plenty of very good restaurants within walking distance. There are a couple of supermarkets near by so buy your beers, etc, 2/3 cheaper than hotel, there and pop them in your hotel room fridge. The breakfast was excellent with a vast number of choices and loved the daily walk along the 5 miles of golden beach, not the whole length every day plenty of bars on the beach but prices tend to be about the same whether you drink at the hotel or other bars. The sea was lovely and warm to swim in all in all a fabulous holiday but Phuket is the most expensive resort we have been to in Thailand dearer than Bankok.

""Best spa" "
Dwight C, 17 Février 2018

We have been with my friends last year here and so far, this is one of the best place to relax in Thailand. Nice scenic views, relaxing environment and nice people working here. Will come back here again

"Fantastic Hotel and staff"
MollyPortsmouth, 14 Février 2018

We have just returned from a great holiday at this resort. It exceeded our expectations, the food in the main buffet restaurant was amazing, we were there 10 nights and the food was really varied and of lovely quality, we could not fault it! The beach is beautiful and clean and you can walk for miles, the sea is warm and calm. Special mentions for the staff who cannot do enough for you they are so lovely and friendly, although there were many more staff that served us, the ones that we remember are Nan and gingtonic (who made us laugh all the time) Christina, Teekor and Bew (who were so lovely, helpful and sweet) Jefferson,Zake,Bum, Dhan and Jun also Then there was the entertainment staff who did such a great job, every night and day they organised a quiz or karaoke or dancing, the three girls Lise, Katia and Matea were so lovely and included us in all the daytime and nightime activities even though they were primarily there for the French guests they included everyone The rooms were great, beds very comfortable and air con very good There are shops and bars just outside, we were all inclusive so did not use the restaurants but heard they were all very good, our food was so great we did not feel the need to eat elsewhere We met so many lovely people on this holiday, the hotel has a great atmosphere and we really could not fault anything, we would definitely go back again

"Beachfront resort"
daniela222015, 10 Février 2018

Beautifully positioned hotel with direct access onto the beach, brilliant staff although a little more evening entertainment as it's a quiet resort. Spacious rooms and even let us check in 3 hours early with complimentary breakfast. No lifts at the hotel so request a ground floor if needes

"Excellent all inclusive relaxing hotel right on the Bangtao Beach"
DavewUK72, 03 Février 2018

WIFI very good. two very good size pools. with a childs pool .. beach activities all moments away. Sea lovely and warm.. Clean beach. minutes walk from hotel reception are shops and restaurants but to be honest food was great. Evening they have another place to eat called Sea Side has a smaller menu but feels very exclusive.. both places on site to eat are right in front of beach. very relaxing hotel... with bar to finish the evening off. light entertainment most evenings but not late into night. very quiet night location. For night life take a trip to Patong....

"Highly recommend "
timot927, 27 Janvier 2018

I really loved this place, the people and the rooms was so nice. Good big buffee breakfast and the coffee, I will be missing that good coffee in the morning. Everybody welcomes you to the hotel when you take your first step throught the front door. There were two restaurants inside the hotel, but we only used one of them at lunch. Rooms were very quiet, so you don't hear any noises from the poolside. Roomservice was excellent and fast! Also the food was good. You can access the sea straight from the hotels poolside and the beachside was nice and clean. They also provide a shower, if you take a swin in the sea. Lot's of restaurants near by and a 7eleven just in front of the hotel. I highly recomment this place for everyone!

"good."
rolfspillsa, 16 Janvier 2018

The hotel is all what you expect. Clean, comfortable, with great food. The girl at the front desk was extremely, close to the beach and breakfast buffet had many choice, i can say good hotel on very good destination.

"Beautiful beach"
Sophia B, 08 Janvier 2018

We stayed here over the Christmas period for 10 days. (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Accommodation We stayed in a family villa. The room was spacious and always spotless. The housekeeping team did a great job. The beds were very comfortable and you had tea & coffee facilities. You could also use the fridge and the room service was affordable. However, they don't refill. I presume you have to ask. The only downside (for us!) was the cockerels roaming around and crowing between 6am and 8am. That's ok if you are an early riser but we wanted to have a lie in each morning. Other than this the room was great. Food & Drink The hotel has got 2 restaurants. The main buffet one (where you have breakfast) and the Seafood restaurant. We were bed and breakfast only but it appeared that most of the guest were all inclusive. As we were checking out I heard the check-in staff offering other guests to pay to upgrade to all inclusive, but we were not offered this. Breakfast was good, it was the same every day but you had plenty to choose from. We ate at lunch time once in the buffet restaurant which was of an average standard and in the seafood restaurant a few times. The seafood restaurant was al-a-carte so was a bit better quality but he portions were small. However, both were reasonably priced. There was also a pool bar and the lobby bar. I think you can order food from both of these places but when we tried to get some lunch, nobody knew what we were asking for so we ended up going the beach. There is a happy hour in the afternoon but service is slow. I think that is just generally the pace in Thailand. Entertainment There wasn't any, or none that we saw. In fact a few nights we had been out and when we came back to the hotel thought we would go to the lobby bar and it was dead. It was only 9pm. There are a couple of pool tables and that's it. It seemed very odd. There is an entertainment team at the hotel, however if you're not French then you won't be included! We were always sat by the pool and my 2 teenage sons were never asked if they wanted to participate in anything and they weren't confident enough to ask to join in. I frequently saw people getting tours of the grounds by the entertainment team. I think they may have been associated with a holiday company and not the hotel directly. We booked direct with the hotel. Pool area There are 2 big pools and a small children's pool. They are quite cold but that's just a personal preference. There were plenty of sunbeds and you get given towels to use, which you can exchange every day if needed. The only downside to the pool area is it smelt of sewage every day. At times it was unbearable. So you just have to go for a walk on the beach! Beach The beach is amazing, lovely white sand and loads of space. It is such a lovely walk up and down the beach. You can get boat taxis' to wherever you want to go. There aren't many water sports but we did do Jet Skiing a couple of times, which was about £60 for 2 jet ski's for half an hour. Which wasn't bad. There are loads of beach bars and restaurants all selling great food. There are also loads of Thai massage huts, which you will have to try. A Thai massage is around 300 TB (approx £7 ) for an hour. I'm sure you can barter with them but for that price, there is no need. Local area The area is quite quiet. There a a few bars/cafe's immediately outside the hotel and you can always get a tuk tuk or taxi. We went into Patong a few times, and the taxi was around 500-600 baht (approx £11 - £14) which isn't bad as it's about half an hour away. Again i'm sure you can barter with them. We found a tour desk on the beach (Genaro tours) and they arranged some tours with us, and again you can negotiate the price. My son was 12 years old and not classed as child in Thailand but we managed to negotiate a child price on all our tours. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel but it could be quite boring at times. This may suit some people but with two lively teenagers we wanted to do a bit more. However, the transport is so cheap to get taxi's etc, that you don't mind paying the prices to go out. Do venture out though and make sure you do your research on the area. There are lots of decent restaurants but you will need to venture out a bit further. If you want more of a lively holiday then maybe stay a bit closer to Karon or Patong beach.

"Great Place"
TRACEY029, 06 Janvier 2018

This is a great hotel in a good location. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The food in the main buffet restaurant had plenty of choice with a different cooking theme each day. There is two large pools with plenty of sunbeds and you also have the beach on your doorstep. All beers are served from bottles and their is plenty of choice when it comes to soft drinks, cocktails and spirits. The entertainment team were great and the hotel put on some good shows. The bars were excellently run the staff were absolutely great, nothing was to much trouble and great team work was evident. You can order drinks and snacks directly from your sunbed if you want and again service is excellent a member of the team will remember this Buzzz! :) The buffet laid on Christmas eve was out of this world and again staff worked non stop to its success. If you want to get out and about you have a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The hotel also lays a shuttle bust to Patong etc for a small fee. All the staff at this hotel goes out of there way to ensure everyone enjoys there holiday, thank you to you all and all the very best to the staff in 2018.

"Better than expected"
Christina H, 05 Janvier 2018

The Best Western standard is well known in Europe and I have stayed in various hotels on my home continent. This one, however, was more than I expected. My room with a a pool AND sea view was amazing.

"Great relax holiday!"
vladimirsO8671FN, 05 Janvier 2018

Nice hotel! Great location! Very helpful staff! Many activities in hotel, such as yoga, Pilates, Zumba, aqua Zumba, puddle board. Big rooms. We like this hotel for our family holidays, we would like to come again!

"Xmas getaway "
janine-dawson, 02 Janvier 2018

Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were a good standard and had a balcony which overlooked pool area. The buffet food was a good variety of English and Thai food as you would expect but as with most buffets they do get monotonous. The alternative is an on-site a la Carte which I was pleased to be told you could visit As often as you like. You can also visit the sun wing sister hotel which is further up the beach as part of all inclusive deal once a week. All the staff here made us very welcome, the animation team was great esp Alvin who was a star at the aqua bike sessions! The hotel isn't massive but is a nice size and overlooks it's own private beach. The beach is lovely and the sea is warm, there are a few activities on the beach like boat trips and jet skis if that's your thing. There are some bars as well that are open til the last person goes, these to are just a little further up the beach. All in walking distance. There's a shuttle bus to patong and Phuket operated from the hotel, but if you prefer there are taxis outside and if there's more than 2, can work out cheaper than the bus. That said there are few shops and bars and money exchange nearby. But the main towns Patong and Phuket main town are roughly 1/2 hour away. There are good variety of trips to chose from we enjoyed bathing the elephants and a downstream rapids which wAs great fun! There's loads to see and do and if you are visiting Phuket this is a great hotel to be at whatever you want to do.

"Brilliant Holiday."
Ross M, 31 Décembre 2017

What a lovely hotel set in a great location. Nice beach running for miles in front of hotel. Rooms were very spacious and maids cleaned everyday. Two large pools , lots of sun beds , no problem ever getting one. Swim up bar at main pool , serving all types of drinks and you could also order food to eat . Jun at bar was fantastic and always got you a drink and ordered us food. Always smiling and helpful , a credit to the hotel. We booked all our trips outside the hotel at the kiosk outside the Seven Eleven store. Very reasonable and helpful . Ask for Mr La La , he took us everywhere on the island and on boat trips. Also just outside are many restaurants and bars as well as shops. Nice walk in the evening to walk off that meal. The restaurant food is not to bad and we always found something to eat.In the evening there was always some act on stage while we ate.In the evening the foyer bar served drinks and Nan the one barmaid sorted us out. Such a laugh. Thanks Nan. Our two weeks were so enjoyed . Thanks to all the staff at this hotel. Trips worth doing are Phi Phi island , James Bond island , Soi dog home and island trips.

"3rd time..feels like coming home again!"
Mrc D, 29 Décembre 2017

It was our 3rd time spending holidays in this beautiful resort.( Every year in Nov) As in our previous reviews nothing changed in all these year into a negative way. We felt very happy about to see almost the same staff working there. The reason why I always chose this hotel is that in every situation you feel welcome as a guest and not as a "costumer" who just pay for his stay. Started while we checked in at the front office to the service in the restaurants and bars. Special thanks to Ed, Ging, Nan, Arvie and Teekor (Restaurant/Bar) and to Apple ( Front Office). Also the room change ( First we got a room at the activity pool which was very loud and not as good as the rooms in block 4 at the relax pool we had the years before) could be realised very quick without complication! Big thanks to the manager. We will definitely come back in future for a 4th time.

"Lacking Service"
_lyzinsing, 28 Décembre 2017

Service is not the greatest and on one of the days they did not service our room and we had the do not disturb sign on the door for only two hours. We stayed for three nights right after Christmas so it was peak rates and overpriced for the lack of service.

"Met most of my expectations..most :)"
pippa1964, 25 Décembre 2017

When my 2 daughters and I arrived at the hotel at about 9am after a long flight we were told our room wouldn't be ready until between 2 and 3 pm. This was disappointing as after such a long journey we just at wanted to get in and unpacked. We took our swimwear out of the cases and stayed by the pool until the room was ready which was the best we could do in the circumstances. The food was mainly very good with plenty of choice at each meal..the only grumble was the shoulder of lamb which looked very undercooked..pink and rubbery. Service excellent from the waiting staff, very efficient and polite. Our room on the ground floor was very spacious. Just a couple of gripes..beds are very hard and shower pressure quite low. Air con was great and WiFi excellent. The swimming pools were nice enough but the sun beds are very close together ,which makes it awkward trying to walk in between them. If u are all inclusive ,like we were, you will be asked to sign a receipt after every thing you eat or drink..this does become tedious after awhile. The hotel is in a very nice area, outside the front are many shops, ATM's, bars and restaurants . There's a night market from 4pm onwards twice a week which is easy and quick to get to if you use one of the many tuk tuks parked outside the hotel. The beach is lovely but the sea isn't as clear as shown on the brochures/ internet photos. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is a little tired in parts but this didn't bother us. The staff all appear to work very hard and smile while they do it :) I will say to anyone reading this that i can recommend a very good company if you want to book day trips etc...I paid half the price for the same trips that other people booked through their hotels and/or their travel company. Definately worth comparing prices. If you drop me a message I'm happy to tell you more.

"GOOD LOCATION WITH FEW CROWDS DURING HIGH PEAK."
Neil M, 25 Décembre 2017

The good: -excellent staff with good english -promotions for booking direct with them -adequate services -organised breakfast -comfy bedrooms -its basically a private beach -fewer crowds compared to patong -good big pools -good reataurants and supermarkets nearby - very essential for families - clean beach The bad: -Cleanliness should be considered -bedsheets have kind of rough particles , not so much of a concern but even though we told the housekeeper the same issue arised -noise from drainage of the other room and electricty may go up early in the morning -same breakfast everyday and not for an indian person. -full of europeans especially russians and pool becomes a bit uncomfortable as it is surrounded through out with beach sunbeds as people keep on starring at you!! -old furniture if you are peculiar and table tennis tables are at the wrong location where people are drinking and talking rubbish most of the times.

"Very good"
midstravelor, 23 Décembre 2017

Great location on the beach, very well run, great breakfast, and dinner. All staff were excellent. Our beach bungalow was lovely. Would stay here again. The only thing on first impression was reception area was dark and a little tired.

"Fantastic hotel"
brian m, 19 Décembre 2017

This hotel from the start to the finish of our holiday was absolutely fantastic, the staff from reception at check in were very helpful although we had to wait about 30 mins for our room to be ready (due to the fact of Thomson's having such an early arrival at Phuket). Our room was of a good size with a very large bed nice shower room flat screen TV & average sized balcony there was also a mini bar(some of which is not part of the all inclusive package)also tea & coffee making facilities. The food in the restaurants was of good quality with a different theme for each evening in the main restaurant, the staff in the restaurant were always very pleasant & nothing seemed to much trouble for them. The entertainment staff again were very friendly if you didn't want to participate in any activities they didn't pester you Alvin who appeared to be in charge of entertainment staff gets a special mention always making time to have a laugh and joke with us. Now to the bars special mentions to Nan,Arvie & Edmund they were absolutely fantastic again nothing to much trouble for them even though they work long hours. All in all we found this hotel very very good and I would have no problem giving this hotel & staff a 10 out of 5

"Very nice stay and really wonderful staff"
aktori, 19 Décembre 2017

I stayed on the last 4 days of my trip and was great. My bags were taken to the room and was welcomed with a bowl of fruit and fresh flowers. Lovely touch! The staff are so friendly and kind as you become to expect in Phuket. Nothing is to much and service is always with genuine kindness. I booked with breakfast but only did one morning. Good selection of everything and good service again. I had room service for a couple of evening meals and was good quality and very reasonable. The rooms were very nice and cleaned well everyday. Good selection of what you need in the bathroom with complimentary water, tea and coffee, slippers, flip flops and and umbrella for the occasional downpour. Mini bar was better priced that the local 7/11 which is rare. There are two pools and my room was near the pool furthest from reception which was quieter, a little more chilled with a great pool bar. I took the hotel shuttle bus out one day and was easy trip both ends. The beach is really nice. Water is clean and warm but there are rocks between the hotel and beach with two stairs. You would get wheelchair access down the side of the hotel. Plenary of great cafes and bars along the beach and a couple of nice beach clubs. The hotel is located town end which is why I chose it so no need to get taxi or tuk tuk which you would need for the other hotels along Bang Tao. Town has a couple of super markets, chemists, lots of restaurants, bars, usual tourist shops and massage places. Could have done a week or two here easy. Only downside for me is the place could do with a little tlc here and there and am not a fan of organised entertainment around the pool. Was fine as I was located in a family room by the second pool. The family room was large with a very comfy bed, good size fridge, few seats, a desk and reasonable balcony with a couple of seats and a drying rack. Very nicely designed. It much to fault and fab staff and highly recommend.

"For everybody... or is it?"

An Englishman, a Frenchman, a German and a Russian walk into a bar… Sounds like the start of a joke, but it's actually just the start of another happy hour at the two bars of this hotel, from 4-6pm daily. Happy hour used to mean two for one drinks, but when we stayed here for 8 days in December 2017, the offer had been reduced to 30% off per drink. Not that it mattered to our European friends; most of them were on an all-inclusive deal, as you could tell by their wristbands and levels of consumption. And that's what this hotel seems to be about – include a bit of everything, but specialize in nothing. I guess that's the product of catering for so many different nationalities and age groups - aim for the lowest common denominator – though that's still no excuse for playing the Macarena as part of the evening entertainment. All nations catering also applied to breakfast, where you can have Chinese congee, followed by pancakes and maple syrup, French patisseries, bacon and eggs, German breads – all washed down with, unfortunately, American style coffee. Another triumph of multiculturalism were the activities, ranging from petanque to yoga, to Latin dancing to pool volleyball and water polo – the latter played with ferocity approaching the famed Hungary versus USSR game at the ‘56 Olympics. Have I mentioned Thailand yet? There is little to remind you of the host culture, other than the people in the uniforms. But I guess that ‘s what you should expect from a chain called Best Western. It's not their fault, catering for so many tastes as they do, but the whole experience begins to feel like a cross between one of those British Butlins style holiday camps and a UN Security Council meeting. It's all quite entertaining though, whether you're watching the tactical vying for the sun lounges around the pool or, as I did, observing two middle aged Brits improvising with their own game ‘Who can pull the most nasal hairs out of the other's nose using just your fingers'. On the subject of sun lounges, as other reviewers have pointed out, the ‘no reserving before 9.30'rule is not enforced by the hotel, so you have to be early for the best seats. How early? I did see one Russian lady from our balcony, staking a 6am pre-dawn claim. She was a real expert, claiming not only two by the pool, but also another two in the front row at the beachfront. It seems like the Russians and the Brits were the best at securing their places; maybe that's why the Germans lost the war- they didn't get up early enough and all the best trenches were taken. Food in general is middling without being special and the a la carte restaurant was a little disappointing, the mussels notwithstanding. We ate outside a fair bit and, if you like wine with your evening meal, would recommend Café Bang Tao, which serves a drinkable South African wine, red or white, for 100bht a glass. Food is better than average as well. The Indian across the road from the hotel also tasted pretty good to our Thai-jaded palates. Overall, I think three stars is fair – mainly for the value this place represents. Before coming here, I read lots of rave reviews with only one or two dissenting voices. I assumed these contrarians were either completely stuck up snobs or people with an axe to grind, but now I'm not so sure. To sum up, this place is not for everybody – or actually it is – and that's its main problem.

"Great place"
Senad S, 16 Décembre 2017

On the beach and the beach is great too. Lots of sun and lots of shade as well. Only complaint we had were the hard beds and the shower pressure is too low. Beds are really hard but BW gave us extra mattress and then it was fine. The shower pressure you just have to live with but that's not a big deal. The hotel has great breakfast, rooms are spacious and clean, alot of activities in the pool area, good kids club, great staff, nice guests in general. Fitness center is just a small room suited for 3 people at a time. But there is one. Surrounding area is nice and quiet. Not much to see but there are good restaurants and bars around. We had a wonderful stay.

"Beach front hotel"
Ainy T, 15 Décembre 2017

The hotel serves varieties of fantastic buffet breakfast. The two pool are big with plenty of sunbathing chairs both by the pools and beach front. Really enjoyed the daily activities organized by the club jet tour in the hotel. I was stopped by the guard one night when we came back to the hotel after our clubbing and he just spoke to me in Thai. Unfortunately I don't speak Thai and asked him repeatedly what he's talking. He then let me go. I felt offended as he must have assumed that I am a call girl since I'm asian and who's walking in with my husband who's european. I think the hotel have to look at this matter because if security is checked after midnight for guests safety, please do check on all guests that walked in and not only those who look asian and walking in with their European partner. Other than that, the hotel is excellent, beautiful, clean and very friendly staffs.

"Great hotel, something for everyone."
Vixter247, 11 Décembre 2017

This hotel is in a quieter area and is great for relaxing. There are two pools and one is geared more towards families, the other has a swim up bar. There are sun loungers overlooking the beach area and choices of restaurants etc. We had a 'sea view' room but the only complaint is there was not much of a view as tall fir type trees ran along the beach but apart form that it was a really great stay. The exercise classes were good, just be sure to book in advance and the hotel is happy to help with arranging onward travel etc and day tours.

"Family Holiday 2017"
biggunLondon, 05 Décembre 2017

Have to say one of the best holidays we have had and we thought it great value. Staff were great, helpful, polite and cheerful. Room was good 5101 ground floor, we could go out the patio doors to the pool, which was nice, pool bar staff were generous what more do you need, restaurants provided a very varied menu the ala carte one has a rich tasty menu and very attentive staff. Go see Nan in the main bar ask for chocolate milkshake with cream, you don't have to drink alcohol!! The taxi rank outside provide value trips we found the Tiger Kingdom brilliant.

"Nice clean hotel right on very nice beach"
Marko R, 03 Décembre 2017

3rd time in BW Premier Bangtao Beach, because its just so good value for money. Everything is clean and the food is good. Room cleaning could do bit sharpening up, but nothing worth reporting. One thing is notable: The food on Seaside Restaurant is really good and prices are very reasonable compared to ”cheap beach- or street restaurants”. The menu is just a little short, but our favourites were all there so no worries. Yummy seafood garlic and pepper, (remember to ask it with sauce, European style). In the Seaside, waitresses Gen and Gingtonic (funny name) were supernice and real professionals. But by far, the best restaurant personnel were Teekor and Jane. They have the rare talent to be professional and simultaneously give the customer the feeling of being cared for and appreciated. 12 points to Teekor and Jane. Finally we wish to thank Alliwayne Fancuvilla from reservations dpt for going the extra mile to ensure that all our wishes were met, when booking the hotel on a peak season. Hope to go back many more times to this nice hotel. Warm and sincere recommendations.

"Dirty room, unwelcoming staff "
Nonie_kop, 28 Novembre 2017

Dirty room (see the photos) that we had to wait to be "deep cleaned" as we complained upon our arrival. Though better after cleaning, the room is still worn out and tired. Mould in the bathroom, almost inexistant water pressure in the shower. Stained walls and upholstery, missing decor in the headboard.. Real disappointment. It is our anniversary and we chose best western to be a part of our longer trip to Thailand. We mentioned it in the message to the hotel upon reservation. If it's the best room in the category that they have, I do not want to think about worse ones.. The person at the reception was not welcoming at all. Asking for documents or deposit by simply stating "immigration card" or "100 USD deposit", as if he doesn't know the words "please" or "thank you". In lack of simple politeness indispensable part of hospitality, we obviously do not speak about absence of welcoming fruit we had in all previous hotels. Haven't seen the breakfast yet. Hope it will somehow make up for the room and awful check in. But at the moment, we wouldn't recommend the hotel to anybody.

"Perfect holiday"
sandrulyte, 22 Novembre 2017

Still can't get over how amazing our holiday been! We stayed for 2 weeks in this hotel and it was great! Staff -thank you so much for service provided it was excellent. Everyone working long hours and many days a week but everyone so happy all the time and make you feel relaxed and looked after. Some travellers should be more considerate as I seen some customers being very rude to bar staff if they can't understand straight away people need to understand where they go and that not everyone will speak perfect english! Food - such a variety everyday! Meat , seafood, fish or vegetarian dishes every day all very tasty! Also A la carte restaurant great as well we been there few times when wanted more table service. Drinks - every cocktail made to each customer not from bags or taps. Beer, wine from bottles or cans. Bar staff - so funny and friendly! Location - perfect beach location. Just few meters away from beautiful beach. We used paid sun beds on the beach as it's more sun than the ones hotel provides but cost a day around £2 so not a problem. I seen pool always have free beds but we enjoyed sea more. Overall - amazing! Came back so happy and already planing next year to visit again as it's been just perfect for us! Beautiful country and great people. Thank you so much for our lovely holiday! See you 2018 x

"Trip to Thailand"
ninapospai, 06 Novembre 2017

Last minute I decide is time to change our destination and try Thailand. Booking was done with Travelbag and I was surprised the service amazing. Driver waiting for us, drop off early morning by private car and represent Mr Nook a really gentleman. Hotel is around 30 minutes to Patong Beach by car but you have everything you need around off hotel and inside. Beach side , 2 swiming pools and lovely breakfast area. Rooms was clean and big with balcony, only issue not for us but I'm sure for elderly person is not a lift. Just out of hotel you got shops, restaurants, etc. Over all we enjoyed so much than our next trip on the way . Thank you Best Western Premier Inn Bantago Beach.

"Lovely beachside hotel at Bangtao Beach"
Lynne O, 03 Novembre 2017

Had a wonderful 8 days arranged by Trailfinders at this hotel. So relaxing. Many activities like aqua aerobics which my husband enjoyed with enthusiastic staff- all included in the price. I was more for a restful time on the beach, which I enjoyed . The beach is lovely - quite a few traders come along but they are not oppressive and happy to take no for an answer. The staff at the hotel were excellent and the room was lovely and spotless. The breakfast was fine with a mixture of western and Thai food . Outside the hotel there was a fair mix of restaurants ad we took a motorbike ride for a day for an incredible £4. Driving round Phuket one could see that the the Bangtao resort was beautiful compared to some we saw which were a bit sleazy. This is very much a family resort and the families seemed to love it. I have no criticism and would love to come back some day.

"Amazing stay!!"
Jelly_t0, 03 Novembre 2017

My husband and I stayed here for 8nights at the end of October. The hotel was full of guests from all around the world and lively- which we enjoyed. We a young couple in our mid twenties, we found the area peaceful ,not much to do at night. If you want night vibe or nightlife this area is not for you. However the hotel had night entertainment every night ( shows, cabaret, live band) in the dining area which was fine for us. Check -in was smooth ,bags were taken to room for us. Room was spacious, clean and functional. Bed and pillows not extremely uncomfortable as we anticipated. Shower pressure was good as well as hot and cold worked well. Balcony was perfect for drying off wet clothes and relaxing. Maybe some frames or mirrors to be added in the room for a more welcoming/cozy feel. Complimentary tea, coffee etc. and 2bottles water provided daily. Room cleaned daily All staff were friendly , kind and helpful - We thoroughly enjoyed the vibe and entertainment by jet tours team - it kept us going throughout our stay - the music the activities etc.The real live wires of the resort. Compliments to them. Breakfast was good, large variety and view. Breakfast Staff were on point with offering tea and coffee and clearing up. Poolside service was good- food and drinks were tasty and staff were prompt. The beach is beautiful in Bang Tao - its amazing for a long walk.Note that in front of the resort the water comes up to shore during high tide. Take a walk on the beach and u'll find many Thai massage stalls - a must try experience. We went to the one closest to catch beach club and the one next to the 7-11 on the road behind the hotel. Lots of restaurants on the beach and behind hotel-we tried the famous Thai banana pancake and fruit shake at one. Beautiful beach for sunset. Also visit Surin beach nearby. The hotel has a shuttle service to Patong beach and Phuket town 3times a day. Staff were all lovely , friendly ,helpful and kind. We'd recommend this hotel and this area to all our family and friends- it has everything you need for a good holiday. Thank you for an amazing stay!!

"Lovely hotel"
Julie W, 03 Novembre 2017

This is a lovely hotel if visiting Phuket. It does seem to be in a bit of a poor area, but never felt frightened or threatened. Travelled with my two daughters. The hotel is very welcoming, clean and food great, especially the a la carte restaurant which was very reasonably priced. My only grumble were the beds, they were so hard, could do with thicker mattresses. The pools (there are 2) were very clean and the gardens were very well maintained. We were on the top floor and there are no lifts but we soon got used to this. Unfortunately the beach did have a lot of rubbish on it, it would be good for someone to clean this! The area is good for the usual trips out, James Bond island and Phi Phi. We stayed 5 nights before moving North.

"Staff are great, pool is filthy"
Marie B, 26 Octobre 2017

Stayed here with my husband and another couple. Cannot fault the staff or their dedication to the residents but some things need to change. Firstly the pools are filthy. Children are allowed to eat and drink whilst in them and leave all manner of detritus behind. The staff do not speak enough English to stop this, or request parental supervision. There is meant to be a family pool and a beach pool but kids over run both. Even the kids club staff allow the kids to disturb other users. It was annoying!! Secondly the most visible reps are Jet Tours. They are very overwhelming and in your face. Very young and keen but not for everyone. Many many French families in and around the hotel loved them, and in turn took over the bars and pools to the detriment of others. If you're just looking for a nice room and a bed then this place is fine, but don't hang around during the day.

"Could be better"
Deidre K, 26 Octobre 2017

I have been visiting Thailand for over 40 years. While most of the amenities at this resort are satisfactory there have been a couple of disappointing problems. We booked a non smoking room which was provided but guests are allowed to smoke around the pool area right outside the room. If you open the door or chose to sit on the verandah you have smokers right next to you. There is no SMOKE FREE zone anywhere in this resort. Smoking is also allowed in the dining area which we find unacceptable while you're eating. We found this made our visit unpleasant as we were looking forward to a few days relaxation. Today no towels were available for the pool luckily I still had a damp one from yesterday. Also I requested an extra 2 hours for a later checkout and was informed it would cost an extra 1500 baht. I have never had such a request refused at any hotel previously, rooms are kept neat and tidy wherever we stay so cleaning for staff is easy.

"Great views. Pushy staff. "
Chaia09, 20 Octobre 2017

We stayed here for 2 nights and mostly just used it as a jumping off place to get to Phang Nga Bay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it's right by the ocean so views are nice. Now the bad: -We booked a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and while we were in the car someone from the hotel called the driver to talk to me about booking tours. Why not just wait till we were at the hotel? Also, they were very pushy about booking a tour and did not like that we had things in place already -We asked about closing times of the post office and the front staff were more than happy to look it up. They were also more than happy to set us up with an over priced cab ride to said post office. We tried to bargain with the cab driver, noting that it was approximately 6k away and he was charging us more than double for that distance and he would have none of it. We told him we'd walk and he tried to berate us for attempting to walk Phuket streets. The impression I got was that the hotel was in with this particular cab company. We walked 20ft down the road and took a tuk tuk (which was an adventure all on its own) for half the price of the cab. I would be wary of this place in the future.

"Theres more to Phuket than Patong Beach"
Debby K, 11 Octobre 2017

After spending 5 days in Patong we moved onto the second half of our holiday to 5 days in what I can only describe as Phukets hidden haven. From the moment we walked into this hotel we felt relaxed and calmer than we bad in the previous 5 days. As crazy as Patong is Bang Tao is chilled and relaxed. This hotel is literally on the beach with 2 big pools and 1 kiddies pool. My first suggestion is pay the extra for a pool access room. Its not straight into the pool but only a couple of steps and your in. A long stretch of beach to take long unhastled walks. Hawkers only ask once and then leave you alone. and some of the best sunsets I have ever experienced. The staff are friendly but for some of them english is a bit of a struggle so be patient with them. There is usually some kind of activity to join in if thats your thing but mostly guests were on the sunlounges overlooking the beach or at the pool. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it. It is also an excellent choice for families

"Great beach"
lizzygf, 08 Septembre 2017

Very pleased with stay here. We had deluxe rooms so two bedrooms, both a good size and a good size bathroom also. Cleaned and replenished everyday to a good standard. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Pool fine and plenty of sun loungers but very close together. Reception staff very helpful. Beach beautiful.

"Beach holiday"
holimood, 06 Septembre 2017

We stayed here for 2 days in a 2BR unit and spent most time was at the beach itself. Plenty of shade, sun loungers, swimmable sea, massages on the beach (clean n good price), good breakfast at the beachside restaurant. Tuk-tuks outside, 7-11 across. All v.convenient but food selections were average n so expensive compared to my last trip. Don't assume the rustic bamboo restaurants on the beach are cheap.

"Enjoyable stay but could improve"
Dan_Meopham, 04 Septembre 2017

Lovely location and couldn't fault the room, perfect for us on ground floor over looking the pool, excellent breakfast also, nice to be able to walk outside to bars and restaurants. A few points that could be improved on 1.Around the pool quite a few broken tiles and concrete that need tidying up 2. Hardly used the swim up bar and didn't see anyone else using it as the bar faces the wrong way and it felt like at inconvenience for the barman to serve us. 3.found it a little strange that they didn't promote any drinks promotions or cocktails around the bars and lack on menus, I guess this because most people are all inclusive? These are just minor things and In all we really enjoyed our stay here

"My time"
burdon123, 02 Septembre 2017

I would highly recommend this hotel; the staff are absolutely amazing, they are all extremely polite and are always happy to help! The hotel also comes with amazing views alongside beautiful scenery! They have a wide range of facilities which are also available on site, some with at a cost and some without... Overall a brilliant hotel!

"Fantastic Experience! Definitely Returning!"
Bonnie U, 30 Août 2017

This is a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location with one of the most beautiful beaches out front. It is suited to all types of patrons. We were a group of friends (2 couples) and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The pools are great, one busy and one quiet (plus a kiddie pool), the breakfast (included) is also very good. A good variety of options to suit everyones taste. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. When we checked in we were given a seaview/pool view room as requested but we were not aware that this would be on the 4th floor, there is no lift. We asked to be moved to a ground floor pool view and the staff were very accommodating. Most appreciated. The resort is located in a very beautiful area of Phuket. You have a wonderful beach that you can swim in if you choose. The beach is great for a good long walk on. It is surrounded by plenty of very good reasonably priced restaurants. There is a 7/11 right outside and the highlight for us was that the very famous Catch Beach Club is just a short walk up the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return, soon I hope!

"Fantastic break"
Andy H, 27 Août 2017

A great hotel yards from a beautiful beach. We (2 adults and a miserable teenager) arrived early morning expecting wait for our room until lunch but the staff were very friendly and offered us breakfast while they prepared our room. There are 3 pools, 1 is a little kids pool, 1 has polo, volleyball nets and at times, aqua spin bikes and music all day long. The 3rd is a much bigger, quieter pool which is great for relaxing and you can swim up to the bar for a nice drink. There's a spa, a massage area and a gym in the complex too. We had breakfast included and it doesn't disappoint. Plenty to choose from and caters for all. The restaurant area is large and we never had to wait for a table. Pick the right one and you'll have wonderful views about 5 metres from the beach. The rooms were clean and tidy with aircon and big enough not to feel on top of each other. They have a fridge and coffee area and there's also a safe in the room. They are cleaned every day by the happiest cleaners you'll ever see. My only gripe would be that the rooms are a little dark. Could do with more lighting but that's trivial. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The beach is literally yards away and goes on forever. Head onto it, turn right and take a stroll past the storm drains and you'll hit a bar with tree swings. Great for that "I'm in paradise" photo. There's also jet skis and surf boards to hire. We were here mid August for 11 days (monsoon season) and we had 3 days of on/off rain. Don't let it put you off when you hear monsoon season. It's not a bad time to go. A quick heads up- if you do the phi phi/maya bay tour you're best doing the early 0600ish tour so you miss the hoards later on. It'll be worth it. All in all a great holiday. Would we stay here again. Yes, without a doubt.

"Nice place :)"
gabryelle25, 16 Août 2017

Beautiful location, right near the sea (Bangtao beach), for those which search for a quiet place. The hotel is close to the airport (20 minutes by car), and near many places where you can eat delicious food. The stuff is nice and helpfull, but for the cleanliness, I would give a 7. The hotel's pools are nice, and the private's beach even if it's small, it's ok. You have only to go down to some stairs, and you will have the Andaman Sea at your feet. The locals-sellers aren't too agresive, as the ones from Zanzibar (my last year trip).

"6 stars if it was allowed"
Arnd H, 13 Août 2017

An absolute fantastic hotel with very spacious rooms overlooking the pools and view of the sea. Our room hat a king size bed, separate table and chairs, study table, flat screen tv, mini bar and comfortable bath room with shower and balcony. The main restaurant offers fantastic food, the evening Buffett changes every night and offers a stunning view into the lagoon. Pool area is amazing, too. Only thing missing is a sand beach since the area at the hotel is rocky but after a short walk, one can rent sun beds on a sand beach. The hotel is very quiet and upmarket and a great place for families to enjoy a fantastic holiday while the singles will certainly enjoy accommodation closer to Patong Beach... August is not an ideal time for a visit since the weather is unpredictable and it rains a lot and the sea is muddy

"Relaxing stay"
A7811, 09 Août 2017

Decent, quiet hotel to stay. Good for couples. Friendly staff, good service, clean rooms with all furniture and equipment in place, small but nice territory. Breakfasts have enough variety and are of good quality. We dined several times in the hotel and I liked it even more than local restaurants. Pleasure music and decent buffet with Thai and international cuisine. There are many restaurants and small shops in front of the hotel, so you have reach choice where to go.

"Just ok..."
CBR1980, 30 Juillet 2017

The Good: Great location. Great wifi. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Nice food at lunchtimes The Bad: awful coffee and juices at breakfast, staff not overly friendly, repair work needed by the pool and generally all throughout the resort, annoying card token system for pool towels, really loud music by the pool at times, bar drinks presentation could be improved

"Nice relaxing hotel at a good price during the off-season."
Steven P, 26 Juillet 2017

Hotel is in a nice location not far from the airport and the hotel did arrange airport pick up for us. The hotel is well laid out with two nice pools and is right on the beach if you prefer the sand. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the servng staff were awesome. We didn't eat dinner here however so I can't comment on that. I really enjoyed running on the beach then using the small, but well equipped fitness room. My wife and I also joined in with some of the activities which were great. Our room was lovely and very clean. We usually like to travel more independently and rarely stay at a resort but as my wife is pregnant we wanted a good value, quick and easy getaway from the city heat and humidity and this place was ideal.

"Lovely hotel in a peaceful location"
Soniakh, 23 Juillet 2017

We have been at the hotel for almost 10 days. I really cannot fault anything.located directly on the beach, it is in a lovely location . The staff are really nice and nothing is too much trouble. The deluxe rooms we have are spacious and overall the hotel is very clean. Breakfast is good too and the restaurant is sea view. Right outside the hotel, there is a 7 eleven, laundry service, massage parlours and bars and restaurants, our favourite was siam mumbai as they have amazing indian food and other dishes too. Ricos is lovely too. The hotel restaurant is lovely too. Tuk tuk and taxi service available too. Patong area is very busy so if you want something a little peaceful then this is perfect. We would definitely recommend the hotel and come back. Thank you

"Excellent hotel!"
noiroo, 20 Juillet 2017

We had our wedding reception at this hotel (januari 2015) and it was just so perfect! The staff is just amazing and we had a pleasent stay! Room: We had a Deluxe-Room and it was big. A really nice patio facing the pool! And the palm trees just outside. So perfect. The bed was comfy and we had a good sleep. Bathroom: Perfect size. Big mirror. Good shower. Pool: A really big pool, but freezing cold. It was alright, because we went to the beach anyways. The poolbar was perfect! Beach: Really nice and beautiful. Clean sand. Reception: Big and comfy. Really nice staff! So kind and helpful.

"Very nice place, would go there again. Right on the beach!"
427jean, 18 Juillet 2017

Right on the beach. Basically all rooms has a sea view. Pools are perfect. A lot of shops for everything you need right outside the hotel. The buffet breakfast leaves nothing wanted and the quality of the food is good. The restaurants are very affordably priced and has a good choice of western foods.

"Nice location & great staff"
KhalidJ, 12 Juillet 2017

If you looking for place to relax away from infamous part of the city than this your place. Down side the rooms are out of data & required renovation very soon. But having great staff making lot of different which the hotel has.

"Superb location"
Christopher O, 11 Juillet 2017

The Best Western is a superb hotel that me and my wife have stayed in many times, and i would highly recommend this hotel. The location is right on the beach , excellent ! The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the food is very good. The rooms are perfect for me and my wife and we have never had any problems while we have had our holidays there over the years.

"Second visit - fantastic "
Emma W, 05 Juillet 2017

Our second time to this hotel, as the staff are VERY friendly and very helpful, cleaning staff excellent, Eric the food and beverage manager such a fantastic manager. Edmond the bar tender now a supervisor amazing bar man as was last year! One night we went out with a couple of the staff - Chang (unfortunately no longer with best western but their loss such a great person and big boss won't give her job back!!) ging, arvie and Philip, looked after us such an amazing night. For the Brits only they do all inclusive you'll need to pay when you arrive at reception. Other outstanding members include June pool bar, and Nan lobby bar. Always a must visit the weekend BIG market phuket town! Fantastic holiday yet again! Must visit this hotel!!! Lee and emma England

"Incredible!"
chelsholland, 24 Juin 2017

Everything was perfect about best western. We had the most amazing room right by the pool. Breakfast each day was great, staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was also great, enjoyed our stay and will defiantly be back! Close to the beach only 30ish steps away, quiet and quaint, loved it!

"Lovely hotel let down by a few staff"
George B, 22 Juin 2017

We arrived at this hotel as part of our travels around the Thailand area. The hotel was beautiful and as soon as we arrived we were welcomed by reception and given drinks which was lovely. We were told we had received a free upgrade as we were staying 5 nights at the hotel which we were so thankful for as this is the last hotel to end our travels. When arriving to our room we were happy with how clean and nice it was. It did have a slight smell what I feel was perhaps damp but other than that it was lovely. Our first day we just wanted to relax but constantly the phone was ringing and people at the door bell which was a little annoying when we had just traveled and needed a bit of sleep. The next day we arranged a trip to phi phi islands which was average, it wasn't what we expected but when we arrived back at the hotel maids had put a sign on our room saying 'do not disturb' and our room had not been cleaned and our safe was open? Nothing had been taken out but myself and my friend are very much on the ball with ensuring we check the room before we leave. I attempted to get in touch with reception about this but no answer so I rang house keeping to ask why they hadn't cleaned and put the do not disturb on? They couldn't seem to understand what I was saying so I asked for clean towels. They did come straight up and offer to clean the room then but at 19:00 I felt this was a little pointless as we were wanting an early night. Reception then phoned the room asking if I still required the room cleaning. I said no but in future I'd like the room cleaning and not for maids to put the sign on the door themselves I also raised concerns about the safe being open when we arrived back to the room. My reply was, 'hmmmmm' so I explained again... It which I realised I wasn't getting anywhere I just gave up and put the phone down. Breakfast was lovely but again, a few staff ruined this by being extremely rude to my friend, laughing at her because she had came from the poolside and still had her bikini top on, the member of female staff then walked over and said 'you need to put a top on' which was fine and understandable but then I do not understand why a circle of female staff then stood around laughing at her making her feel so uncomfortable she felt she couldn't eat at breakfast that day. I was actually disgusted by the attitude of the staff on this day!!!! We had fabulous room service and spent most of our meal times eating in the hotel which the food does not disappoint. It was lovely!! Unfortunately there must have been some Improvements being made to the hotel in which there was a lot of drilling and noises which wasn't pleasant when I was wanting to relax on days I wasn't feeling too well. On our last day we attended the bad near the pool which a member of staff named Jun attended to us, he was absolutely fantastic and his customer service was second to none. Later on when we were hungry we asked to eat in the restaurant area, my friend originally asked a female member of staff who looked at her up and down and said she did not understand and took her over to Jun, my friend asked Jun who said of course we could eat our food there and even went and got us a fan to keep us comfortable while eating!! The female member of staff who unfortunately we couldn't see her name tag came across very unwelcoming. Jun serviced us our food and we paid our bill with him also. This man is a credit to your hotel and other staff should take note. Over all, we did have some negative experiences but the hotel was nice and there were some brilliant staff it was just a shame about others that had 0 customer service skills in my opinion.

"Wonderful, relaxing holidays"
fcb69, 21 Juin 2017

We stayed in this hotel the first two weeks of June 2017. The transfer from Phuket airport was perfect arranged by the hotel and we had a warm welcome from the staff at the front desk.Since the Villa Wing is under renovation at present we got an upgrade to a room with seaview. The room was spacious with a kingsize double bed and we felt very comfortable during our whole stay.It was cleaned and made up every day and there is nothing to complain about. Service from all departements was very attentative and friendly. When we returned to the room in the evening of my birthday the bed was nicely predpared with "Happy Birthday" made from Orchid leaves and blossoms. The breakfast was tasty offering a broad selection of warm and cold dishes, croissants, different rolls and bread or fruits. The location of the hotel directly at beachside makes it ideal for those seeking relaxing beach holidays. The beach streches a couple of kilometers throughout the Bang Tao Bay. It's fine white sand invites for extensive walking tours. Outside the hotel you find several restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood, seven up store and a pharmacy. We left Best Western Bang Tao after two weeks very pleased and definitely plan to come back agin. A clear recommendation to all planning to spend their holidys on Phuket island.

"Excelent hotel"
Steve W, 21 Juin 2017

Great location and hotel staff excellent. Rooms big and spacious and 2 massive pools. It was low season when here so the local restaurants and bars very quiet but great spot for just chilling out. Hotel is down a small soi off the beaten track but plenty of restaurants and massage places on the doorstep. The night market at Cherng Talay is worth a look. Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection available to suit most palates. Fitness classes held daily if that is your thing on holiday. Taxi to Patong on the shuttle bus is suitable 3 times a day and gives 3 hours in Patong.

My husband and I are just back from 14 days at this hotel we had a great time Hotel Located right on the beach spotlessly clean there was always someone cleaning twice when we were there one of the maintenance staff had the fish out of the small pond by the lobby scrubbing the pond also seen I cleaner cleaning the outdoor shower tiles with a toothbrush Room The room was lovely with a massive bed light and airy with a lovely bathroom with a wide variety of toiletries and huge fluffy towels that were changed every day Plenty of wardrobe space and a large fridge also tea and coffee making facilities with 2 complementary bottles of water every day large balcony our room was on the 1st floor with views over the pool and the sea wonderful great air conditioning and wifi signal Food and drinks We were bed and breakfast and there was plenty of choices from cooked breakfasts to Asian dishes as well as a great choice of breads rolls and pastries The drinks from the lobby bar were priced much the same as the restaurants outside the hotel and the cocktails were good Service We booked a taxi through the hotel to pick us up when we arrived which saved us the hassle of getting 1 at the airport on arrival at the hotel we were greeted by very pleasant reception staff and given a cold drink while we checked in which only took about 10 minutes we were then shown to journey room while a porter carried our bags to our fist floor room anytime we went to the reception desk everyone was very pleasant Jazz from the tour desk was lovely always saying hello and smiling when we went through the lobby she helped us book flights to Bangkok for a few days and when we came back asked us all about our trip Well what can I say about Nan who worked at the lobby bar she had us laughing every night what in infectious laugh she had she always knew what you wanted to dink There was a couple of singers on a few nights we were there and they were very good but I think they were on a bit too early Would love to return to this hotel in the future I don't have 1 complaint

"Wonderful place & great service"
Netchanok K, 03 Juin 2017

This is my second time at this hotel, very impressed with their warm welcome and the service is great. The hotel is close to the beach and this beach is such a peaceful its not for you if you're looking for crazy and party. The room is clean, the hotel and the pool are big also the massage place is great. Breakfast was very good too.

"Nice and relaxing"
Nigel A, 02 Juin 2017

We stayed here for 7 nights as part of a wedding party. A nice clean place to stay that is out of the busy areas but not far to travel to popular places. Patong only 20 mins by taxi. The rooms were nice and clean. The hotel staff were great. Very friendly. We had buffet breakfast as part of our package. That was nice with a lot of variety. Great place for kids too with the two pools, beach and activities in the hotel. Recommend for anyone wanting a nice get away. Only down side was the smell of sewage occasionally outside the front of hotel but this being my first time to Phuket I'm not sure if this is the norm or not.

"Loved it "
Ann D, 05 Mai 2017

Second visit and we had an amazing time again staff are perfect and make your stay even more special nan had us laughing every night her laugh is so funny and ging the best waitres you will find the hotel is kept immaculate there are plenty of choices for food and drinks we stayed in a beach front bungalow which we loved. Would 100% return to this hotel and would recommend it highly. The only thing we found a problem was the mosquitoes but not somthing the hotel can do about this as its nature but they did spray the room and give us an extra trap. See you all again soon and thank you for another amazing 2wks.

"All in one"
Joel H, 02 Mai 2017

A place for family with kids would be the best option for holidaying. No worries to keep your kids occupy with activities and even for adults to join in some organized fun activities. Two big and nice pools but closed a little early. The room is good and comfortable except that the noise from the next door may be a disturb if the guests speak loudly. My friends heard a couple quarreling with "interesting" language used. There are convenient stores and restaurants nearby.

"Brilliant !"
ATM_12, 30 Avril 2017

LOVED this place ! Staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a poolside room which was just perfect. Really good size room with comfortable bed. Breakfast included in the rate was excellent.....so much choice and many seats available at all times. One Pool has swim up bar the other is aimed more at families with children. Beach was beautiful with lots of restaurants/bars available. Recommend The Beach Cuisine looking out over the Andaman.

"Great Location"
badger661, 22 Avril 2017

It's not easy finding a resort to suit 23 people getting together to celebrate a 50th birthday party and family reunion in a country you've never been to before especially when the group comprises of ages ranging from 7 to 82! I decided on the Best Western at Bang Tao Beach in Phuket and was not disappointed. The heat and humidity was a bit of a shock at first but the swimming pool and sea within meters of our room soon cooled us down enough to start taking in our new home for the next 10 days. The staff were amazing and they went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room was big, the bed comfortable and bathroom modern. The breakfast spread covered all bases and was a good way to start the day. Apart from the generous full English breakfast there was also loads fresh fruit, breads and, weird at first, Thai specials, not usually enjoyed at this time of day, such as pork in ginger and pepper, fried rice, sweet and sour fish. The beach stretches for miles and has local businesses selling food and offering long tail boat rides, massages and jet skis for rent. The local village is crammed with street food, bars, restaurants and agencies selling tickets for everything imaginable. All in all, a place for all tastes at budget prices. Highly recommended!

"Brilliant first time in Thailand"
h0lidaymaker11, 22 Avril 2017

We have just returned from our 2 week holiday with Thomson/First Choice at the Best Western Premier Bangtao Beach. This was a our first time in Thailand and we already can't wait to go back! We were on the all inclusive package. The Hotel was about a 40 minute from from Phuket airport and a half an hour drive from the lovely town of Patong. We were checked in by Jonathan who was very friendly and attentive, quickly checked into a room on the 4th floor after a 11 hour flight. Room was very nice modern, was facing a quiet road and the sea. The food at this hotel was very good, we were on the all inclusive package. Excellent choice at breakfast ranging from Thai dishes, pancakes, cereal, fruit, omelette and egg station and full English breakfast available too. We never had lunch in the buffet restaurant, we always ate at the pool bar for lunch where you could order one main course off the menu each. The food here was really good too, would recommend the Thai dishes here! There was a different theme every night in the main buffet restaurant (Thai, Italian, Asian, international, barbecue). We were there for two weeks, and all though they did repeat the theme on some nights, the variety of dishes cooked were always different. This was great as we did not get sick of eating the same thing all the time. With the all inclusive package you can eat the the Al-A-Carte seafood restaurant as many times as you like. Food was excellent, could have a 3 course meal if you wanted and there was plenty of seafood dishes to Choose from. We stayed at this hotel in April which is a busy time for the hotel, but we never struggled to find a sun bed round the pool. We had drinks at the bar every night and we served regularly by Nan. Very friendly staff on the bar and seemed to remember every single guests regular drink order. The hotel did provide evening entertainment which was in the restaurant area. It seemed to start at 8pm and finish at 9pm then the entertainment team would play games. We thought the bar area could do with more seating at night and the entertainment be on a little later instead of when people were eating in the dining room? Only other thing about this hotel was some of the bar staff on the pool bar during the day seemed to avoid people waiting to be served for drinks, or who would serve people who had just walked up to the bar rather than people who had been waiting a while. Sometimes they looked at us and saw us waiting then ignored us and served someone else instead. Be prepared to sign your bill with your room number, after lunch and dinner and after any drink orders too (even if you are all inclusive). Overall we loved this hotel and our first visit to Thailand and we can't wait to go back. So much stuff to see and do in Thailand. If you are thinking about booking, I wouldn't hesitate and get it booked! Thank you for a great holiday.

"Fab, just fab"
sarah J, 20 Avril 2017

We have just returned from here, we had a brilliant time. Rooms very clean and tidy, pools again clean and tidy although the pool by reception can get a bit lively. As far as trips go, I would shop around there are two or three shops where you can purchase almost identical trips a lot cheaper.

"Lovely Beach Hotel"
evesamcam, 16 Avril 2017

Myself and my husband stayed here from 5th - 9th April 2016. I had let the hotel know in advance that it was my husband's birthday while we were in Thailand. They decorated the bed saying "Happy Birthday" in flowers and we had flowers and fruit in our room as a gift. We were going to use the public transport to get to the hotel from the airport but as we found out on arrival there are no public buses that take you to Bangtao Beach. We ended up having to get a taxi - cost 700 Baht one way - which for Thailand is quite steep. The hotel can book this for you too but it does cost the same. It is a shame that they don't provide a free shuttle service as the hotel is out of the way. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink - very nice touch. We were taken to our room on the 2nd floor (although I had requested a higher floor I was glad that it wasn't on the top floor (4th floor) as we wouldn't have been able to see the pool or sea due to the height of the palm trees - our view was beautiful. There are no lifts in the hotel - so the 2nd floor was high enough. We also had a large balcony with seats and a table. There was also a handy clothes drier to hang clothes outside. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The bed was huge. There were robes and slippers for us to use and lots of free toiletries (toilet rolls, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton buds, shower cap, body lotion, razors, etc ...) these were topped up on a daily basis. The bathroom was lovely - huge walk in shower with rain shower. Plenty of space at the sink for your own toiletries, etc. Free Wi-Fi in the room and all public areas of the hotel. The TV has a few English Channels too. There is a hairdryer in the room too. Lots of free tea & coffee available. We also found a mosquito killer that we used - seemed to help keep them away. We were given 2 free bottles of water everyday. There was a minibar in the room with drinks and snacks but these were chargeable - we just kept the water in there. When we were there it was the Easter Holidays - just before Songkran (Thai New Year) - the hotel even though it was 95% full never felt that busy. We always found a sun lounger with a parasol at the beach or pool at any time of the day. The hotel has a policy that sun loungers cannot be reserved before 9:30am. We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis although a lot of the guests were from the UK, France & Russia that seemed to have booked All Inclusive. The breakfast was extremely adequate. So much choice and always plenty available. They catered for every taste and diet. No complaints from us - always left stuffed. The restaurant that they have breakfast in is in a lovely setting just by the beach. Beautiful views all day. The hotel can book trips / return shuttles to various destinations but it isn't cheap from Bangtao Beach. We wanted to see the big Buddha which is near to Patong but this would have cost us around 1100 Baht each way. Although the hotel does have shuttle service to Patong for around 300 Baht return twice a day they. We also checked with the taxi people who were just outside the hotel but they charged the same prices. If we had known about these high costs before we booked to stay here we may have chosen to stay elsewhere. This put a slight dampener on our stay as it would have taken quite a considerable amount of our budget just to get to and from places. We decided in the end just to have a relaxing stay and stay around the hotel for the 4 days. There is a village next to the hotel. This has adequate restaurants, shops, tour operators, bike & car hire, laundry services, 7/11, etc. We used a laundry service not too far from the hotel that charged 50 Baht per kilo - we dropped it off and collected it the same day. The 7/11 was quite handy for buying water (from 7 Baht) and snacks. There was also a street vendor right outside the hotel that made amazing banana pancakes - you must try these - very yummy. The restaurants we found to be quite expensive - same cost as the hotel. We ventured 10 minutes away and found a small roadside vendor where we ate every night - each dish was around 40 Baht - 80 Baht and beautifully cooked. The hotel had a Happy Hour every day from 4pm - 6pm where drinks were half price. This was worth having a couple of drinks for the same price as one. A nice treat. You don't pay by cash - you charge drinks, snacks, food, etc to your room - although remember that they add VAT on top (7%). We booked our stay through Booking.Com - No problems using this company - very efficient and no deposit / upfront costs before our stay. All in all a fab hotel - I would highly recommend staying there.

"Not our kind of place"
Anissa S, 16 Avril 2017

The hotel appears nice and clean but we didn't feel very comfortable there. Honestly, there isn't much management could do to improve it, we were just a bit annoyed with the loud all-inclusive guests and the very crowded pools. The maids were quite noisy early in the morning when we were still trying to sleep and having lunch at the pool bar, we were yelled at by the staff for inquiring about our sandwich after a 25-minute wait. It is a nice place and I'm sure many people like it, but it just wasn't for us.

"Hotel close to the beach, restaurants, bars and very relaxing"
Kavita P, 11 Avril 2017

A most relaxing and enjoyable stay. The concierge staff were very welcoming, and any of the staff I met around the resort were very happy and friendly. I was upgraded to a Junior suite which was a nice room to be upgraded to. The room had a little lounge area off the bedroom, a curtain divided the area. Also off the lounge was a balcony. The room has tea and coffee facilities and you are provided with complimentary water. The bar fridge is very large. There is also a universal power socket, so I could plug in my Australian power adapter without need for a travel adapter. The view from my second floor room was of the pool (of which there are two pools at the resort) and also I could see the sea. As my building (no. 4) was not near the reception, bar & restaurant it was very quiet at night. If you have kids or are older with bad knees I would highly recommend requesting for the ground (1st floor) or even the 2nd floor. There are no lifts at the resort. The breakfast had a great selection of food. Egg station made excellent omelettes. I commend the pool & beach staff for patrolling the outdoor chairs to ensure people did not leave towels there before 9:30am. The sea water was warm & calm. and beach well maintained. The hotel is close to restaurants, bars and massage and convenience stores. My only one criticism was the selection of alcohol at the bar, there was no top shelf options and sometimes bar staff were very stingy and not put a full nip (it would definitely be under) in a cocktail. What could be improved is putting up shade cover over parts of the two pools. Amenities and services that is helpful is that there is a taxi service outside of the hotel where you can negotiate prices for tours & shopping/ day trips. Hotel also has shuttles to Patong & Phuket. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to families, couples and friends. Would stay here again.

Great beach front resort. If you are looking for quiet near the ocean this is a great place. Not much around the resort however so you mostly just stay there. Awesome breakfast and good beach. Beds are pretty hard but rooms are clean and modern

"Super stay"
MiddlesbroughJazzer, 26 Novembre 2016

Hi just had ten nights at the best western on a bed and breakfast basis,, lovely welcome by reception staff and a very efficient check in, due to mobility problems we had requested a ground floor knowing this can't be guarenteed and hotel was full reception staff sorted a ground floor room for us after two days, sorted by dad and the French gentlemen so a big thank you on that one, it made a big difference to our holiday, rooms at bwp are of a very good size and standard, facilities excellent and cleaning carried out to a excellent standard by housekeeping staff, breakfast had excellent choice with more than enough to please everybody , breakfast staff carried out there duties in a proffesional and friendly manner, smiling there way through breakfast service , special thanks to Webster, Cristina to name a couple,we never spent much time at the hotel through the day as we were out and about on a scooter, but each evening on our return there was the usual friendly welcome, and the staff enquiring how our day had been, the gardens were kept in pristine condition by the staff, all in all a excellent hotel ,made even better by the wonderful staff, from reception, housekeeping, breakfast staff, and all other members of staff , who all make a stay that much better, all members of staff are indeed a credit to the hotel well recommended

"Popular with Thomas Cookers"
BeenThereEatenThat, 24 Novembre 2016

We stayed here last minute due to previously arranged accommodation becoming unavailable. This is a very seasonal hotel. Clearly the bedroom AC is switched off for several months over the low season to save power but this results in the rooms becoming very damp when we visited in November. Perhaps they will dry off as season progresses. I resent the demeaning pool towel rules which involve silly tokens and threats of €800 THB fines if not returned. Rooms are OK if you're not used to anything better. Clientele are mostly easily-pleased British package tour crowd. Breakfast was a slop fest washed down with cheap watered-down 'made from concentrate' juices. If my commentary sounds snobby then you'll probably be happy here.

"Pleasant stay at the beach"
Riesst, 24 Novembre 2016

The Best Western Bangtao beach is located directly on the beach, away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket. The hotel has over 200 rooms. These are spacious and of a good standard: The beds provide a good night's sleep. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin. The Internet is fast and reliable. Complimentary fresh fruits were placed in the room. I would have contributed a better holiday feeling to have some examples of seasonal exotic local fruits than an apple and a banana. The breakfast buffet is plentiful. The food at the hotel restaurant is reasonably priced and is tasty. There are some small local restaurants nearby and a 7/11 convenience store selling drinks, snacks and telephone cards. The beach is cleaned daily from garbage that is washed ashore. The two swimming pools are large and clean. There are enough sun beds available. The staff is friendly and providing good service with the legendary “Thai smile”. This hotel is more suitable for relaxation and swimming than for night life and party goers.

"Best western "
Peta H, 22 Novembre 2016

Stayed at Best Western for 1 week. Beautiful hotel. Could not fault the food at all. Our favorite part was the sweet barman Edmond-who continuously went out of his way for us. Will come again for the wonderful cocktails and service

"Unique and Amazing service"
Søren Birk J, 15 Novembre 2016

This hotel has got a very friendly and service minded staff, who is always ready to help you with anything. Highly recommended to anyone who like a nice and peaceful time with a stunning seaview. Further more the hotel offers a wide variety of sports, games and entertainment so you wont feel bored any days.

"Excellent all inclusive "
User, 13 Novembre 2016

Arrived here a week ago. Reception seemed a little slow maybe because our flight was 8 hours late. Shown to our room. Very good size, excellent shower etc and good range of toiletries in ensuite. Tea/ coffee in room, fridge plenty of hangers but could do with more drawers. TV reception a bit suspect. Nice balcony. All that said we paid for a ground floor upgrade as there are no lifts. Some people have said beds are a bit hard which they are but I find them comfortable Pool is excellent. Depth varies from about 1.4m to 1.6m in our pool. Hotel is shaped as E with a pool in between each fork. Staff are Thai so are very friendly and helpful. Drinks are local spirits etc but quite drinkable. Good range of cocktails. Beer is surprisingly served in bottles. Not silly little little cups. Chang/Singha/Heineken etc so very good. Only issue is you have to sign every time at the bar even on the all inclusive at 0 cost. Good range of sun loungers all good quality aluminium with legs at each corner. So if you sit down it doesn't tip up. As others have said there is a rock barrier between the hotel and the sea. At high tide it is obvious why it is there. Plenty of steps down to the beach though it's about 4 to 5 feet high. Another thing is there are radio buzzers put out by the loungers for you to call drinks. Very good. Snack service at pool bar best I have ever had at an all inclusive. Food. Someone did say it was hit and miss. Personally I think it is excellent but would like to point out that at any European all inclusive you can go to the restaurant and try everything. It's what everyone does. That then means you get a mixed grill every night and people say it's 'samey' well this is Thailand. They possibly cook the best food in the world but if you get a little red curry and a little green curry and a little yellow curry all on your plate, technicolor curry doesn't work. In the same way if you go to France take a bucket and mix some pilsner with wine and throw a cognac on top it just won't taste right. The food here is really good. The specialist restaurant is even better. Outside the hotel there are enough restaurants to eat somewhere new every night for 2 weeks with a smattering of shops. If you want a quiet relaxing good hotel this is the place. If you are looking for excitement try elsewhere

"The Best Part of Phuket for Us"
hopper_globe_2010, 07 Novembre 2016

We stayed here for almost a week and it was probably the best part of Phuket. The property is clean especially compared to the rest of the city, which can look...rundown in the best light. The city is advertised as a tourist attraction, but honestly unless you visit for a very specific purpose (a very non-family friendly purpose, hint hint), it's not very much to look at beyond the beaches and beachside hotels. Got here when it was raining (happens a lot apparently) and the waves were a bit rowdy, but the trip was still an excellent one. Pros: Great staff and the breakfast buffet is really good, so I would recommend spending the extra for the daily free breakfast. Service in general was excellent by pretty much everyone at the place, and the desk was helpful in arranging transportation beyond the hotel grounds. Honestly, we spent more time at the pool than on the beach, mostly because it was so nice. Cons: This isn't the resort's fault so I hesitate to put it here, but we chose one of the private villas, and while this gave us a lot of privacy, it also meant leaving the confines of the resort. The villas are in their own little section next to the main building, which is great if you absolutely need to do your own thing, but if I had to do it all over again I'd have chosen one of the regular (and cheaper) rooms that's right in the thick of the action. But again, not the resort's fault, so not really a con. Overall: I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. I'm not sure how "private" the beach is, as there was some kind of local school field trip when we were there and the place was crowded with kids learning to surfboard. But they were well-behaved kids, so not really a big deal. I just thought the beach was a private stretch, that's all. Guess not? This is really a slice of heaven especially compared to the rest of Phuket.

"Really Best Western"

"Great Hotel"
colncoll, 03 Novembre 2016

Had a great time at this gem of a hotel, food was amazing and plenty of it. Drinks were very good especially the cocktails. Staff couldn't do enough for you, we found them very friendly and helpful. There's a few bars, restaurants and shops outside the hotel. Nok and jo's is a must had a great night there. The beach is lovely and like walking into a bath and you could get bbq'd sweetcorn on a stick on the beach it was lovely. There's a few bars and restaurants on the beach too, or you can hire a long tail boat on the beach to take out exploring. There's a market that's on twice a week just a tuk tuk ride away that sells everything very cheap too, got a few bargains from there. Patong is a taxi ride away, this is a must place to see. We went in January 15 and loved it so much that we're booked to go back for 3 weeks in January 17 and can't wait.

"Best Location, Very Close To The Beach BUT Some Of The Staff Need Improving"
Veerapak, 02 Novembre 2016

I stayed at Best Western Bangtao from October 27th - 30th. 2016 I and my parents chose to stay in a garden zone because it seemed quieter and more private in the pics and this zone really was. I like this thing about the hotel. However, the television in my parents' room didn't work properly, but after calling the front office, they tried their best to fix this problem. I'd like to say Thank You again. The air conditioner in my room didn't work well. And again after calling the front office staff, they sent a guy to fix it. But the air conditioner was the same. So I asked if they had a room that we could move to. Luckily they managed to move me to a new room with a great great service mind. Thank You Very Much. The next morning, My parents went out to walk. After coming back to their room, my mom's key card didn't work. And my dad left one key card inside the room. So I walked to the front office to change the new key card where Miss April was on duty. Miss April managed to change the new key card-I walked back to my parents'room-the key card didn't work. I walked back to the front office again. Miss April insisted the key card was fine and managed to activate the key card again-I walked back to my parents' room-the key card still didn't work. I walked back to the front office again. Miss April checked the key card and said it was fine. But this time she called one of the maid to go to my parents' room. SO I walked back to my parents' room-the maid came-the key card didn't work. The maid used her card to open the door for my mom and dad. I wanted to know what Miss April would do this time. So I walked back to the front office. Miss April checked the card again and this time she came to my parents' room with me and she experienced by herself that the key card didn't work. Miss April told us to use one of the key card that worked (the one that my dad left in the room) But my parents' need 2 key cards (the hotel gave 2 key cards and that was a good thing) So Miss April said I could change the key card again when I walk pass the front office to have breakfast!! The thing is - Miss April should not have made the guest walked forth and back for many times like that. And she should have gone to change the card and came back to give it to the guest. Plus Miss April should acknowledged that if she wants to work in Thailand. She must learn how to smile and try harder not to show bad feeling on her face. Some of the staff gave great services, some just meet the average, a few are below the standard. The room were clean. The garden was beautiful. The pools were good. The Breakfast was OK. The beach was great. The towel staff in the swimming pool area were great esp. the woman who advised me to do the Stand Up Paddle Board. She was great. (I din't know her name) The 7-11 and Family Mart are in front of the hotel. There are good restaurants where you can dine and they are very near the hotel. I personally like the place called Emmy Thai Food. From what I saw, The hotel management are trying to make this hotel a better place to stay.

"Not as well as expected...."
Steve F, 02 Novembre 2016

The BW is not so bad in average. Staff is very friendly (yes, you are really in thailand), breakfast is good, amentied are pretty good (nice swimming pools, spa, stand up paddle, kayak, fitness), location is close to some good restaurants. The really bad points are the family rooms, close to the road for some and to some very noisy bar. And you don't have a lot of place to make yourclothes in order. I would recommand booking rooms in front of the swimming pool, more calm.

"Very nice hotel and staff"
DE_and_KB, 22 Octobre 2016

Stayed here for 10 days on an all inclusive deal in the middle of October. Booked an airport transfer with the Hotel which was there waiting for us and cost the same as the local taxi. 700Bht. Arrived at about 7.30pm and checked in with no delay. Shown to our room by the excellent reception staff which was spacious, clean and adequately equipped. Nice view over one of the pools and gardens towards the sea, although tall Palm trees and Fir trees do restrict seeing the sea. For those that need it the Wifi was great with no drop outs and worked everywhere we tried it. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice, either Western or Asian, but even though the hotel wasn't full it was quite busy some days. Expect at peak season a wait for a table could be experienced, although we never had to. We were all inclusive and were able to order anything off the A La Carte menu for lunch and dinner (dinner buffet wasn't in operation due to hotel not full). Thai food was excellent and the occasional western meal we had was good too. All inclusive drink menu was restricted but was adequate and included local spirits and cocktails! Hotel drink costs were the same as outside bars (80Bhts for a 330ml bottle of Chang beer), food costs also looked good value (not that we paid). Grounds of the hotel are very well kept and the pools were clean as were all the sun beds, no issues for us getting a bed at any time, but again it was low season. Thai massage which was very good, 400Bht for 1 hour, 100Bht more than on the beach but spotlessly clean with fresh towels and pillows. Outside the hotel are a couple of bars, restaurants, convenience stores, massage places, clothes and tour shops. Not a lot but enough to enable you to eat and drink elsewhere if you wanted. The hotel is right on the beach and there's a few bars/restaurants on the beach too. One thing not noted by other reviewers is, while we were there anyway, at high tide there is no access to the beach as the water comes right up to the boulders that are in place to help combat erosion. You also have to go down a couple of steps set into the boulders to get onto the beach. Not a problem for us but may be for anyone less able. Same goes for the rooms, no lifts so ask for a ground floor room if stairs are a problem. The beach is around 7km long and made a great place for a leisurely walk each day. Totally sandy but was littered in places, possibly due to the time of year with strong winds and rough sea. The best bit about this hotel are its staff, everyone we had contact with had a smile, seemed happy in their work and couldn't do enough to help us if we needed anything. Within a day they knew our room number, what drinks we liked and what food we enjoyed, can't praise them enough. Not much to do around the area unless you travelled (either hotel shuttle or transport supplied by attraction) so if you want to explore Phuket Island you might want to research if this is the right location for you. Great place to just relax and do nothing as, when we were there, the place went quiet at about 10pm. Other guests were mainly Russian honeymooners or with very young families, German couples and a smattering of French and English couples. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back if we wanted to stay in that area again.

"Expensive for what it is. Not a BW Premier"
james b, 21 Octobre 2016

I have travelled here on business and stayed the night. The arranged airport transfer was present at the airport, on time and the journey was swift. Hotel check in took an age - because I had booked return airport transfers I was required to sign the paperwork x 2 at reception - it would have been easier to add it directly to the bill. The main grounds are attractive but attention to detail is lacking in places. To access my room a walk past the standby generator was required - ugly and out of place, although I recognise the importance of it! Rooms were well appointed. I stayed all inclusive but this did not include the use of the spa. I was hoping to use the steam room and sauna during my very brief stay but I was told this was not included in the rate. Food at the hotel was average. Large portions, when smaller, more tasteful portions were probably the order of the day and slightly more modern. The interior rather feels like you are walking into a bank or government office as opposed to a friendly hotel. In summary, if you want average for a higher than average cost, stay here, otherwise consider spending your money elsewhere to get better value.

"Nice an quiet "
Omer A, 16 Octobre 2016

Nice can quiet hotel in the slow Bangtao beach. The hotel is cooped up in a back Street with shops and restaurants so on top of the 7/11, there are good places to grab lunch or dinner. The hotel is ok, nothing fancy. We stayed at the "Villa's" 2 rooms area out side the main location. The staff are friendly, the breakfast buffet is good and cater the taste of all people. The SPA is simply few massage beds under a tent type location near the pool area. Again nothing special comparing other hotels. The hotel have 2 pools and also a kid one. Although I was in the low season the area of the hotel is quiet and need to be considered if you are planning to party as the van services are expensive. Enjoy!!

"Beatiful location, loved this hotel"
Carol B, 09 Octobre 2016

Having spent a week in Patong, we arrived at Best Western Bangtao for some peace and tranquility and that's exactly what we got! It's just a lovely place, some nice little shops around the resort, just enough in our opinion. The people here are lovely, not too pushy like Patong. The beach walk is really lovely with all the cool little bars. The beachside massages are amazing! I also did a Thai Massage at the spa which was excellent. The pool bar and pools are fantastic, the lobby bar, the pool tables for the kids. I really recommend this hotel for a family. We got a cab to Chintalay, unsure of spelling, but it's a lovely place for dinner and you get to see a bit of the real Thailand on the 15 minute bumpy journey! Only one downside was the dinner - it wasn't the best Thai meal we've had and we ate out the second night. Breakfast was lovely. We were very sorry we hadn't booked to stay here for longer, we'd def come back.

"good for the price"
malcolm c, 07 Octobre 2016

A very acceptable good value option. Not a lot outside of the hotel, but they do run a shuttle to Phuket town and Patong. Good spacious room with all the usual amenity's. Two pools and right on the beach. Breakfast had plenty to chose from and the service was good. Did not eat lunch or dinner at hotel as there are a few decent places just outside

"Quite nice- doesn't wow you!"
rohan t, 04 Octobre 2016

The BW Premier is nice and as expected based on the pictures and descriptions. In some ways, the experience is standardised but in the end lacks any special character. It is good for what it advertises but will not blow you away on any front. One thing that does stand out is the helpful staff - they are very attentive and cordial.

"A-MAZING"
K W, 04 Octobre 2016

Hotel, decor, bars, restaurants, staff, pools, beaches, location, everything was AMAZING! Hotel room was huge, with up-to-date modern decor there wasn't a bad view. we over looked the street and it looked like 'proper Thailand'. Regularly cleaned with fresh towels and sheets daily. Pools, there was two, 'family pool' and 'swim up bar' pool. Both very good, we spent most of our time round the swim-up bar, food was available to order there and the staff especially Jay were amazing. (only down side, somedaytime entertainment would have been nice, even if it was just a little bit of music) but bar staff would put your phone on for music. Beach was long, clean, and beautiful! You are not pestered by people selling, once you say no they leave you alone. Cute and tasty restaurants on the beach. Lots of narrow boats which will take you to little different islands/beach including banana beach and patong beach. definitely worth a visit. Bars and restaurants on the complex were delicious, buffet had a weekly menu, so would change every day to a different country/ style of food (then repeat on the next week). Are not many on site restaurant but the ones which are are delicious. Main lobby bar is a nice place to start and or finish you evening, not the most exciting to stay the whole night. But the bars on the beach are fab. You MUST go to Patong in the evening to see the 'party scene' it is fab. get a taxi there it is only cheap and they are all waiting outside the hotel and then get a tuk tuk back, it is like nothing you have ever experienced before. I would definitely return. I love Thailand and I love Phuket!

"Great Value, Great Location"
Mark H, 04 Octobre 2016

Stayed in a two bedroom family option. Being the end of the rainy season it was a very good room rate including a full buffet breakfast. Large clean room. Two large clean swimming pools. Right on the beach. Beach is nice not fantastic. Being the end of the rainy season there was some trash washed up on the beach. Staff very friendly. Only criticism on the room was our kids said their beds were very firm. Our king was comfy.

"Fabulous hotel"
Debsjh, 02 Octobre 2016

Great hotel. Large room with a lovely balcony overlooking one of the pools (no lift, but easily managed the one flight of stairs with a pushchair and the staff took our luggage for us upon arrival and departure). Good wifi. Fabulous breakfast with very friendly staff. Arranged an airport collection prior to arrival and was met by a friendly guy and had a smooth transfer (with complimentary bottles of water). Didn't visit at the best time of year to appreciate the beach, but the hotel is right on the beach and you can wander along in either direction to explore and find an alternate place for dinner. Inland there are also some bars/restaurants if you want a change and the 7/11 is right by the lobby. Would highly recommend.

"Girls Trip"
dnewts, 26 Septembre 2016

Visited during a quiet period and found it to be perfect location to relax and decompress. The staff were very helpful to all of our needs and the staff at the restaurant were so polite and lovely. The room was well maintained and stylish. Our only issue was the hardness of the bed and this was sorted immediately after speaking to staff. I would definitely look at coming back to this hotel!

"Great location, great staff, great stay"
Carole W, 25 Septembre 2016

This is my third visit to this hotel. I love it because of the large ensuite rooms and the location of the restaurant. Only 10 yards from the Andaman sea, you eat your breakfast to the sound of the waves, and have a pleasant gentle sea breeze to keep you cool. At evening dinner you can marvel at the beauty of the ever-changing sunsets. There are two pools if you don't want to swim in the sea, good wi-fi, but what really makes this place stand out are the excellent staff. Friendly, courteous, they just go the extra mile.

"Super hotel 5*"
leebarugh34, 08 Septembre 2016

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, Friendly staff could not ask for a better service, Management superb, reception superb. Bar staff outstanding they can speak English too which is very helpful, I came met Edmond (pool bar) - fantastic super friendly guy always smiling/ laughing and chatting, asset to the hotel. Would highly recommend . However due to no lifts in this hotel is stay on the ground floor. The town of Phuket / and patong is about 30min drive in taxi which will cost around £1200 Thai bhat Also it's worth visiting the floating market. Will defiantly be returning to this hotel Lee Mark:

First of all I'd like to say I can not fault this hotel. Our first time in Thailand. From day 1 they have been absolutely fantastic very friendly making you feel welcome especially the bar tender cha - lobby bar, absolutely fantastic person asset to the company, could not ask for a better service. Weather has been superb considering its monsoon season. Rooms cleaned everyday. The beverage manager has been very friendly. The food is cooked by a English chef he's such a lovely guy knowing that the kitchen is spotless makes us at ease. We have already made reservations for next April in this hotel. No complaints from us Brits :-) 5 out of 5 for everything. 100% spot on. Emma 3306.

"Peaceful place"
Elle L, 26 Août 2016

My boyfriend and I stayed here 20th-24th Aug as part of my birthday vacation. We just came back and I thought to give it a review. This is my first review here in tripadvisor as I always do mine in booking.com but this time I booked online. I emailed the resort, the reply is so quick and Recy Ramos is quite patient to all my inquiries. Check Inn was easy breezy with Dao, such a lovely lady in the reception. She made the first and last day memorable and got ruined by one staff though:( Resort was good, beachfront, 2 swimming pools, we booked the pool facing and my boyfriend loves it. Theres no lift. Only stairs thats why he prefers the ground floor. Lobby area was clean and welcoming. Breakfast has great variety ( asian and intl ) great staff too all were courteous always smiling. The hotel has a good location, outside has massage parlors, lots of restaurants, bar, scooter rental, money exchanges, convient store (7/11 and family mart). Theres a Tesco w/ shops and fastfood ( mcdo etc ) 5 minutes i think by vehicle, Infront of the hotel theres tour shops too. If you walk in the beach lots of massage and small resto, foodcourt, small bar, lots of hotels/resorts within a walk. There was a couple of swings to play with but a little walk, good for instagram photo lol. The beach water looks a bit brown its because of the sand and the waves. Sand is not white but near the hotel its clean. I always walk until the end some has a lot of litter ( some ppl were throwing plastic and bottle of beer ) there were cleaners i see when in the morning. The water was getting better not too much waves unlike karon beach, there so many guest swimming. We rented motorcycle 300baht deposit is 1000baht. The lady was honest, she returned the 1000baht no drama. I spoke to some guest they said they walk to surin beach for about 10min. There's shuttle to patong, karon etc 200 baht per pax. Patong 30-mins, karon 35-40mins, wat chalong, big budda 45mins or more by scooter. Thank you to the staff who really went beyond. Ma.Cristina charming girl always up for a chat in the breakfast area. She managed to brighten our mornings with her smile. My boyfriend and I was always in the pool most of the time and we met Reynaldo and Alice. They were in the towel booth. Had few laughs, Funny, great guest interaction. Felt like home very attentive and polite. We couldn't open our safe and called someone to fix and Dao comes to the rescue. She was fast and very reliable. The hotel is lucky to have her. Something happened in our toilet on the last day, it got blocked. I called housekeeping. Supanee comes to fix she tried and she called engineers i think 3-4 men comes tried and managed to fix the problem. Thank you job well done. The hotel was not full as its a low season, you can see 20% of the sunbeds were occupied, loads of empty ones, breakfast was not crowded. Theres only few people in the hotel. When we checkout I asked for late checkout 9pm as our flight leaves 12:10am emirates back to Dubai. They told me I have to pay a full day 3,199baht i believe if i want to checkout at 9pm and 700baht if i leave at 5pm. There's no consideration at all if they told me half amount of full day i will gladly pay it to be able to checkout at 9pm as it was raining in the last 2days before we go as the normal checkout was 12pm, it will be very inconvenient to stay 9 hours in the lobby and walking around will be not nice in the rain so I was forced to pay up to 5pm. When i update my keycard in the morning of 24th to extend Dao was such an angel to give me another hour extra, it was considerate and humanly act. Here comes the girl who called me at 5:45 exact. Her tone was so rude, impolite and I felt i was a criminal trying to steal time. She asked me "what time you checking out?" I said 6 she reply " NO, you check out 5" i told her i still have 15 minutes to 6 and Dao gave us time. She kept repeating who gave it and said Ok hang up. I hurried my boyfriend and when I reached there she didn't came to apologize just looked and she spoke so nicely to couple of caucasian guest. What was that??? Too unprofessional and racist! Her name is APPLE. I came there as a guest and I paid everything with my own money not my boyfriend, a little respect would do. The guy in the reception keep apologizing, he doesnt have name tag. He was nice, i cant vent my anger to him. One rude staff and the checkout time was bad. It wasn't high season,70% empty rooms and dont lie we are not stupid we can see and feel the low season atmosphere. I understand business but in the end be considerate to people especially with raining weather and late flights. We are willing to pay but its ridiculous to pay full amount in 9hrs and staff switch like a split personality. Bad policy and staff always ruined the peaceful moment.

We are packing now for our departure from this lovely hotel and we are very sad to be leaving. This hotel is beautiful with two pools and a breath taking beach. We have been in a deluxe sea facing room with a stunning view over the pool and out to sea. Ignore the weather forecast and just come we have only had two rainy days and the rest has been clear sky's. The hotel staff are the best, nothing is to much trouble and everything comes with a smile. Outside of the hotel is a great little village with a 7-11 opposite and many bars and restaurants- all great ,we ate somewhere different every night and loved them all. Breakfast in the hotel is buffet style with lots of choice from fresh cooked omelette station to fresh fruit and breads and bacon etc all very nice . My wife and daughter had a milk and alovera massage at Divas just across the road and both agree that it was great. I don't want to go home but one thing is for sure we have fallen in love with this place and can't wait to visit again.

"Great holiday and Good value for money"
28blackorchid, 15 Août 2016

Today is our last day in this resort. We are very pleased with the choice we have made, the hotel is very nice, all staff very friendly and competent. We stayed for 10 nights, considering is low season, the standard of service was excellent, very impressed with the WiFi ( my teenager soon is very grateful for it). Every single day the room was cleaned despite lots of rain and mud and sand we brought into it! We ate 4 nights in the hotel restaurant and the food was nice and plenty staff to look after us. Hotel had 1 small kids swimming pool and 2 big ones, one of them with a bar to swim up to. Edmond lovely young man, very polite and with good English, looked after us, nice cocktails and especially his Irish coffee! Onsite outdoor massage was excels t, professional and very good price. One last comment, impressed by the little details, went for breakfast, after leaving out bags and towels on the sun beds by the sea. Big tropical rain started and we knew that by the time we will get to our bags they will be already soaking wet. To our pleasant surprise, some members of staff, security guard / cleaning staff ( constantly looking after the green area or swiping up sand on the paths) have already covered our bags and kept them dry. Thank you. Overall good value for money and great first time experience in Thailand, would love to come back.

"Great place to holiday & relax & experience a part of Thailand"
jak776, 11 Août 2016

Everything was great, the resort which was right on the lovely beach where we swam, both the swimming pools in this resort were excellent, the breakfast was good, our views from our balcony very nice, there was everything you need, gym, children's play area, restaurant in the resort, etc. Only a few shops, cafes, restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, etc in the street & very close by. The location of this resort was half way between Patong & the airport. I would recommend to upgrade to a room near one of the two pools.

"Nice hotel."
Oleg M, 10 Août 2016

We booked it for 3 nights , upon arrival we had free room upgrade. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is clean, has 2 large pools and kid's one. Drinks at bar are not very tasty as it appeared, so we used nearby cafes for drinks. There is 7-11 just near hotel, so you can buy beer yourself.

"Fantastic value"
Farshall M, 05 Août 2016

Lovely location on a very nice beach with lots of shady trees. Two big swimming pools and two restaurants with very reasonably priced meals and great breakfast buffet. The street outside has local shops and restaurants, and the hotel has a shuttle to Patong if you need more shopping and nightlife. The room had a sea view and was very comfortable. Wifi was excellent

"Average "
Khaula H, 03 Août 2016

This is by no means a 4 star hotel. It's 3 stars at the best. Thankfully we just stayed here for a night, which is what it's most likely best for. It looks way better in the pictures advertised- in real life it's pretty tacky. The rooms even smell like an old 3 star hotel. Otherwise the food was decent and most of the staff pretty helpful, other than a few rude people at reception when we first checked in. They were very to the point and robotic. Didn't feel very warm and inviting like hotel staff should be.

"Very good location, staff and food"
David L, 03 Août 2016

The stay at this hotel was very good thanks to a good location on the beach and beautiful swimming pools. The food is good with local food well prepared with lot of choices. And the staff is so friendly with all of you. I would like to come back.

"Great Staff and location"
TheSutties, 27 Juillet 2016

We had read many reviews about this resort and left it to our last week in a 3 week trip to Phuket. We weren't disappointed. The staff are great and the resort and gardens are beautiful. We had two interconnecting rooms as we were traveling with our 2 teenage children and it was prefect. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very modern and large. We had a look at the family suites but with teenagers we need 2 bathrooms and 2 tv's!! WIFI worked really well. Also we loved having the sea view rooms as the resort is located right on the beach. It's located in a nice little spot in the village with shops and restaurants located right outside the resort. Diva massage is one of them. The pool bar staff were great and we enjoyed many happy hours chatting to Jay, Ae and Nan who make the best cocktails. The prices to eat and drink in the resort are very good, the only thing we found is that the menu doesn't change from lunch to dinner, but the food was very good. We can't wait to stay there again.

Paul L, 27 Juillet 2016

Just an awesome hotel right on the beach. Brilliant facilities, very helpful staff, excellent food. 2 big swimming pools, 1 has volley ball and hand ball. The other is just really big with a drinks bar by the side. Excellent gym with all the stuff, hot spa, jacuzzi and sauna. Most beautiful sunsets right across the andaman sea to finish off the day too.

"Lovely hotel"
Louise M, 26 Juillet 2016

Lovely hotel with fantastic views of the sea. Location close to lots of restaurants and amenities at the hotel good. Good value for money although it may grow repetitive if here for more than a week. Food and drink reasonably priced and spacious rooms.

"Good value for Money"

we where a family of 4 , 2 teenage boys , and we had a great time . The facilities were okay , food was okay , although after 4 days we got tired of it. The 7/11 across the road was very handy !!! The staff courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. No problem going back !

"Good experience"
mirha, 24 Juillet 2016

The check-in was smooth. Service was great. Use the provided mosquito repellants for the room. Breakfast spread was decent. Halal options were provided upon request. Rooms were quite nice. Bathrooms were clean. Bang tao is a quiet place. 7/11 and a few restaurants are right outside the hotel. Theres a halal restaurant around 5 mins away. You can arrange tours from the hotel. The beach was decent. The taxi services from the guys outside the 7/11 seemed pricey. Better to make travel arrangements beforehand. I booked the phang nga bay trip from the tour office next to family mart outside the hotel. In hindsight, i could have negotiated further but the service was good. I came from don mueang airport in bkk from where i arranged the airport transfer. After getting dropped off i spoke to the driver and booked the van for the next day to see different sights around phuket. Expect to pay around 300 baht an hour, min 10 hours. Everything closes early. The tuk tuks outside the hotel will take around 100 baht each way to go to tesco/mcds/pharmacy which is around 3 km away. Check out took longer. I felt the staff was overworked but they were accomodating and polite.

"Overall good value for money"
Sven I, 22 Juillet 2016

We booked the hotel one day before our actual arrival due to be super wary check in at 7am, we had email conversation with the hotel before but when we arrived they have considered us as a now show a day before, hence why the room was not ready and we had to wait after super long arrival/travels, very upsetting. Reception staff really not good trained with minor English and area knowledge, we asked few questions about Phuket/Patong which find out online earlier but even be most wanted thirst they had no clue about it & made really no efforts help any further. The hotel and the facilities are in good shape and well taken care off. Decent pools areas with good space to swim. F&B: Breakfast was alright, good choice and selection of dishes, however the quality of all items where really minor. Outlets and room service food was good, again good choice between western and Asian foods, surprising the European food was nice, but mostly we had Thai foods..:-). Room service clearance really terrible up to 3 hours waiting for somebody to come clean the dishes....terrible. Lack of service, Bar man Edmond pretty rude in attitude and behavior. 0 pool service for drinks, only help yourself, poll towels only twice a day can be changed... Housekeeping even after topping, not once the mirror and glasses in the shower where cleaned off, lot of dirt after service was done was left over...poor. Overall the hotel is alright for average tourists but surely not for luxury seeking people as lack of service in the entire hotel and their departments was there. Would not return in this case...

"Beautiful hotel with lovely people"
Historygirl5, 21 Juillet 2016

I stayed here for four nights and felt very comfortable and looked after. My hotel room was a minute's walk to the beach alongside two of the hotel's pools. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. There are no lifts here, so be prepared for stairs, and my large room came with a gecko who couldn't have been more accommodating by dashing away from me whenever I entered the room! I'd advise buying large bottles of water from the nearby supermarket as, although the hotel provides you with two complimentary bottles, this is not enough. I strongly suggest sitting, without any distractions, to watch the sun set one evening. It's really quite breathtaking.

"Unwind to the max"
Jorn B, 17 Juillet 2016

Beautiful resort to enjoy your stay in Phuket. There are two pools available, one of which includes a pool bar. Breakfast in the hotel is absolutely delicious and widely varied. Hotel is located directly at the beach. There are beds available at the beach but these are usually full early in the morning. As a whole it is a beautiful hotel to have a vacation in which you can unwind to the max!

"Great hotel at Bangtao Beach. "
Piotr B, 16 Juillet 2016

Great Beach. Beautiful large rooms. Awesome food. Great view. Everything is just great. We're off season (july) do it's not crowded. No annoing salesmen. The internet is quick and reliable. Great place to stay and chillout.

"Enjoyable and warm place"
Ludmila N, 16 Juillet 2016

Great location, excellent hospitality. The staff are genuinely nice and sincere. Our room was facing the pool and beach, and was very clean. There is free coffee and tea in the room, WiFi, international plugs and free flip flops. The only issue was that the tolilet gets blocked quickly but the hotel sends services and fix it on the spot. No public transport but shuttle bus is available to some key locations on the island. We left the hotel to go back to visit another island and came back to the same hotel again. We were greeted with even more warmth. Rates are very reasonable and there are many nice restaurants just walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed it very much and will go back to it again should we have an opportunity to return to Phuket.

Great service, very friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. Lovely quiet beach and resort with access to lots of other restaurants on the road outside. Really recommend The Beach Cuisine restaurant next door owned by a French guy.

"Paradise!"
RachelGyves, 13 Juillet 2016

My partner and I stayed here in December 2015. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. We were able to check in quickly and a lovely member of staff carried our luggage to our room (god knows how as we were up four flights of stairs - which I would say was the only negative as there was no lift). Our room was amazing. Perfectly clean, very spacious and we had a nice little balcony overlooking the pool/sea/mountains! Breakfast is a lovely buffet. There is something for everyone and it is all fresh. If you are an early riser it is lovely and quiet facing the sea. The lunch and dinner service can be buffet or A La Carte EVERY DAY! Highly recommend the vermicelli prawns and the satay chicken skewers. The pool was clean and a good temperature. Every single employee were polite and friendly. A special shout to Nino, Chet & Rafael. Rafael was in the entertainment department, he made all activities including French Bowls & Archery really fun. Chet gave us some fantastic tips on things to and he was really nice. Nino was the absolute star of the show. He is polite, friendly, professional, we loved him. He should be the manager! Also a shout to Tar who brought our room service a couple of times - lovely lad. The beach is nice but if you walk 5 mins to the right, there is a stunning beach. I could go on all day about how much I loved this hotel but I won't. Just trust me and go! Also, the guitarist they had for entertainment at night was superb!

Fabulous hotel, staff excellent couldn't be more helpful. Can't do enough for you. Made to feel like royalty. Hotel right on beach, palm trees, ?? ??food, buffet style breakfast, plenty of choices, pool excellent. We visited during August which ideally isn't the best time as far as monsoon season goes, but it's the first time I've used the umberellas around the pool to shelter under when the heavens opened.?? When it came down it poured, but it was fab!! ?? We used local taxis which were very reasonable, and they would stay with you all day, excellent rates. We went to see Thai boxing which was well worth a trip. Went to see Tigers and actually went in the cages with them. The huge marble Buddha is worth a visit. Will definitely be returning one day. The markets are incredible. Thai food is the best!!!

We were upgraded at no additional cost. Room on the pool, spent 5 days there, wonderful place to relax. Watersports available, we took the halfboard option and it was fantastic. (Many thanks to Chet for being a great help, wonderful person and very professional) Only negative part is that the wifi is a bit slow and logs out within 5 min, so you have to put hotel room number and surname each time.

"Great hotel"
Krishna S, 09 Juillet 2016

The hotel is a bit far off from the main attractions in Phuket , but overall the place is awesome . Staff were great , location in Bangtau is decent as there are quite a few shops near by to try out on food and drinks, and the hotel it selt was clean and relatively new. Did I mention the food was pretty darn good too , especially the pastries. Will definitely hope to come back here in the near future , and I would recommend this place for sure. Only problem is the distance from Phuket town and the exorbitant taxi fares you need to pay to get out of Bangtau as the luxury taxi drivers control the area ( 700 baht ) for a trip to travel to the city.

"OUTSTANDING STAFF & LUXURY AMENITIES"
ChrisPlakos, 03 Juillet 2016

We loved our stay at the Best Western in Bang Tao Beach. We felt like it was our own private beach. Plenty to do right near the hotel but if you feel the need for crazy a shuttle to Patong is offered. With shops, pharmacies, tailors and restaurants within walking distance we will surely be returning.

"Very Good"

"Outstanding hotel & staff ! "
WilsonWellings, 21 Juin 2016

Stayed here at Easter, 2 adults & 2 teenagers for 2 weeks. All loved Thailand (my daughters first visit) and especially this hotel. Couldn't fault the food and the staff were so friendly & nothing too much trouble for them. The location is ideal, there's a few bars, restaurants & mini supermarkets just outside the hotel so even though we stayed on an all inclusive basis we enjoyed eating out a few times & spent a few evenings in Nok & Joes (just around the corner) & The Beer Garden (opposite hotel). Loved our rooms, we had double balconies over looking the spa & the pool, everything was very clean & housekeeping do a fantastic job throughout the hotel. We had a couple of spa treatments, Swedish massage etc & highly recommend. There's also a massage hut overlooking the beach, we tried half hour massage when we first arrived to recover from the long flight - it worked a treat. The hotel is right on a lovely beach where you can walk off your breakfast. You can hire a long tailed boat by the hour & they will take you round to the next bay, Banana Beach where we had the beach & beach bar to ourselves, definitely worth a visit. As said in previous reviews a couple of days the sea had sea lice so we just swam in the pool, 2 really good size pools, always beds available, we preferred the pool with the swim up bar where the staff really looked after us. We did tip but no pressure to do so & service was good for everybody. Hired a taxi a few days so we could sightsee around Phuket & also one day went up to Khao Lak, best to shop around for taxi fares as few options along the beach bars & also opposite hotel. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for food, location & especially the staff. We will definitely return here one day soon.

"Single visitors welcome?"
MHPenang191, 20 Juin 2016

Stayed at hotel for 6 nights - very comfortable and staff very friendly. My only complaint is that the shuttles offered to Phuket Town and Patong Beach required a minimum of 2 and otherwise you have to pay inflated taxi prices. Many people travel alone and should not be discriminated against in this way. If a hotel runs a shuttle it should do so irrespective of the numbers. On basis that they don't value single occupants I decided I wouldn't eat lunch or dinner in hotel after the shuttle episode.

"Clean, friendly staff"
Littlewingfan, 20 Juin 2016

Nice location, breakfast buffet was great. Staff were friendly. Only bad things I can point out are the beds are so hard, I had a difficult time sleeping and I wish the bar would have been a cash bar. They only let you charge to the room and I wasn't a fan of that.

"Lovely place at the beach"
xtarux, 08 Juin 2016

We spent 2 weeks at Bangtao Beach and we enjoyed it very much. Hotel was right at the beach and we did long walks at the beach every day. It took us about 1,5 hours to walk to the other end of the beach, but it was well worth it. It was very quiet and very clean there. Hotel also had many activities, yoga was my favourite. It was great to do yoga by the sea when you could feel the breeze and hear the waves. Yoga mornings were the best. Also they have massage at the hotel premises and people used it a lot. Try Thai massage, coconut oil massage or foot massage. Also it you rather have a massage in the evening there are several places close to the hotel. We liked the place right opposite the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was very nice, lots fruits, omelettes, bread, etc, Best Western is very close to many nice restaurants and some small shops. I think most of the restaurants are within 5 minutes walk. Also at the beach there are restaurants. We often had lunch at the hotel, the food was really good and price was almost the same as in other restaurants. If you like Thai food it is very cheap, if you want a steak it is a bit more expensive but still cheap. I read about jelly fish before our holiday and I was a bit worried because we enjoy swimming a lot. Some days there were lots sea lice or jelly fish and you noticed it when there were no people swimming at all. Next day it was ok to swim. I did see some huge jelly fish I have never seen before anywhere, but still I think this is perfect place for families as beach is really nice and shallow and water is clean. Most of the people at the hotel were families or couples. Not a place for party people. It is very quiet there after 10 pm. If you enjoy the sun, beach, good food and some activities this is a place for you. There is a market place twice a week short tuk tuk drive from the hotel, also if you want more noise and people you can take a bus to Patong and there are everything you want from shopping to party. It is about 20 km, 30-60 min away from Bangtao. Definitely worth a visit.

"Honeymoon "
Adam H, 07 Juin 2016

This hotel is amazing. When we arrived we got a free upgrade due to it being our honey moon and the rooms are superb. They came and done a big honeymoon decoration on the bed and we received a bottle of champagne with a fruit platter for free. Mourning our stay the staff will help as much as they physically can and will do anything for you. They have decent English which is a bonus. The views are amazing from your rooms to the beach. The food here is amazing every meal has being perfection. My wife who would never try Thai food is not eating it every night after 4/5 days of getting her to try it. A full 3 course meal with a few drinks has being costing around 1300 baht very maximum which is around £25. On average we have being paying 1000 baht a night for meals which is £20 and that's 3 courses just with soft drinks Beers are 80-100 baht £2 Cocktails 150 baht £3 Cheap as chips out here and defiantly a place you will not regret coming too. One of the nicest places you will visit.

"Hidden Oasis"
Susan O, 07 Juin 2016

A true gem ,situated on the beach, within a quaint village, on door stop. Spacious. clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Two large pools to swim in. Great Happy hour every night 4 till 6 Family friendly.

"Second visit - even better than the first"
denise247, 04 Juin 2016

We love this resort for its location. Its right on Bangtao beach but more importantly convenient for visiting our family who live in Phuket. Last time we stayed. 2 years ago, the rooms were looking a bit tired and old fashioned but the sleek, modern room with a veranda onto the pool, was delightful - especially with "welcome back" spelled out with leaves and flowers on the bed. Rooms are spacious and everyone from the reception staff to the gardeners are so friendly. Breakfast is one of the best we have had in Thailand with excellent choice. Although we were on our own I would say this is an excellent choice for families with young children. In terms of the area outside of the hotel there are plenty of shops and restaurants and we'd certainly recommend a visit to the Indian restaurant and Bo's Restaurant. Definitely our hotel of choice for our next visit

"Great Beach Location"
emilyc1014, 02 Juin 2016

Transfers to the hotel arrived late at the airport yet once we arrived at the hotel we were upgraded to a sea view room, which we were very thankful for. Yet the free WiFi you have access to in the room is good but you have to keep logging on. As travelling at the beginning of the low season the weather was temperamental, yet we still managed to enjoy the gorgeous beach and pool's. The hotel also offer return or one way transfers to Phuket town and Patong beach for a very reasonable price compared to the local taxi services. Yet the times are very strict and limited to a maximum of around 3 hours. Therefore, if going for a meal and shopping you feel rushed to fit everything in that you want to do during this time. We also received complimentary 90 minute massages as part of the room packages and would recommend booking this service, the staff were excellent and it was very relaxing. Overall a good stay for 4 nights in Phuket.

"Best Western is Wonderful"
Beth R, 02 Juin 2016

This Best Western surpasses any I have stayed at in the US. They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful during our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, the pools are beautiful and the beach is spectacular. The food is much better than other hotel food we ate in Thailand. Our family enjoyed our stay and wish we had stayed longer

"Wouldn't go again to this hotel"
Shazzyshaz1963, 18 Mai 2016

This hotel has no respect for its guest. From disgusting bath water to dirty pools very over crowded. Food nice and that's about all I can say is nice about this hotel. Oh very sorry also the waiting staff is all about its got going for it. The bar is a tiny circle which can fit about 10 people around it so you need a lot of luck if your thirsty to get a drink.

"Amazing location and staff"
travel_lover106, 15 Mai 2016

Beautiful resort right on the beach with very swimmable water. Staff are amazing. Food is excellent. Negatives: - wifi connection is very cumbersome and needs to be repeated throughout the day - a fragrance is automatically released into the bedroom through the a/c vent; staff tried but were not entirely successful in disconnecting it for my room.

"Don't Book"
Lgclay, 12 Mai 2016

Unfortunately we had to change our booking after our flight was cancelled, asked these guys not to charge us and gave them 48 hours notice and they still charged us. Having lived in Asia as an expat and travelled throughout Asia, this is the first time that when I have had a genuine reason that a Hotel has still charged me full price for a cancellation, during the low season and away from major holidays. Most hotels will not charge you in the hope you might come back next time - Oh well I guess their loss.

"DISAPPOINTING "
newlydiate, 10 Mai 2016

We booked to stay here for our last 3 nights in Thailand, so my husband booked a junior suite with a jacuzzi. When we arrived and checked in, we were told this room wasn't available, this didn't sit well with my husband as he booked this room as a surprise for me, and the staff didn't really seem to understand the disappointment. We were shown to a bungalow on the beach, which at a quick glance seemed ok to look at from the doorway, but my husband wasn't keen on the fact that right outside the door, there were lots of sun loungers and people sunbathing, so we passed on that room. We then walked all the way back to reception, and then taken to another room 3 floors up (no lift). We reluctantly took this room, we just wanted to relax after driving for 3 hours from Krabi, but my husband told the lady that he still wasn't happy at all, at the choice of room. I myself couldn't fault the room, it was ok, although the bathroom was quite small, and being on the 3rd floor, the thought of all those stairs in the heat, was a bit off putting. We had a nice enough view from the balcony, in between a couple of Palm trees of the pool and the sea. The next problem was the wifi, you had to keep logging in every time you used it, and it wasn't a straight forward process. We rang down to reception to say we couldn't get on the Internet, so we were given another code, but this still didn't work, we were told they were upgrading, and then we were given another code, but you still had to keep logging in, it was very frustrating, by this point we decided we were going to check out the next day, the disappointment had already set in at check in and the lack of apology over the room, followed by the frustration of the wifi (which was a real pain, when we had to spend most of our evening trying to find another hotel to stay in). Apart from the hiccups that we experienced, these had nothing to do with the fact that the location of this hotel right on the beach is great, the pool area seemed nice, and the breakfast buffet was nice. So I think it's safe to say we wouldn't stay here again.

"Short Holiday"
Jack_Smer, 05 Mai 2016

We had a nice stay experience. Top food quality especially the breakfast. The beach is beautiful enough but could be possible walk 200 mt to enjoy clear sea water. I suggest you to rent a scooter because the taxi in this area are very expensive We will return on this resort!!!

"Not new but very nice"
Mika M, 05 Mai 2016

Place is not new but there has been renovation in the rooms. Renovation was somewhere little bit sloppy. But cleanness was good and you can have new towels every day. We had family resort so we dont know what kind of hotel rooms were.

"Very relaxing stay"
Jason B, 02 Mai 2016

stayed for 8 nights with family, 3 kids, and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very good, friendly and always willing to help. Great setup with pool areas, as we have little kids, the kids pool was very close to the next size pool which my other kids enjoyed, which we were then able to keep them close. The breakfast buffet was beautiful with a great selection for all, very nice omelettes, and if you can manage a table on the beachfront first thing, it is a nice way to start the day, staring at Bangtao Beach and having a lovely breakfast. This hotel gives you a really nice Thai feel as you leave their front entrance straight into a small Thai village which is Fantastic experience for yourself and any kids as its not as full on as somewhere like Patong. And do yourself a favour and have some fun by doing the fish in a tank, just nearby. Kids thought it was great. Will definitely come here again.

"Best holiday ever"
Bombersuzi12, 29 Avril 2016

I highly recommend this hotel, the staff are excellent. We arrived very early on the day of our check in, even though our room was not yet available we were given a free breakfast and full use of all the resort facilities until our room was ready. This even included free cocktails. Our room was very comfortable and clean, as was the resort. Plenty of pool chairs around the two pools and on the forshore. This resort is right on the beach with a great breakfast room and pool bar and menu. It's location is good too, its not in the crazy hubbub of Patong but if you want some night lift you can either walk up the beach to the Bliss bar or catch a taxi out the front into Patong. We will definitely be returning to this resort for another holiday.

"Feels like home"
raquel_ssf, 28 Avril 2016

Not normally so keen on resorts, but this hotel has been soooo good. The Location is astonishing (see pic of the sunset taken from the hotel sun beds) breakfast by the see. Rooms are massive, very nicely decorated, plenty of good restaurants around. Food at the hotel is ok, but definitely not its main strength. Been there for 4 nights and loved it, we are going back in two weeks at the end of our trip around the country and I can't wait.

"Wish i was still there!"
mesteadman, 27 Avril 2016

My new husband and i chose this resort as our honeymoon destination and i can honestely say that we couldn't have made a better choice. Aside from the eden like surrounding of the beach and the fantatsic facilities in the hotel, the staff are the most friendly, most helpful people that i have come across. The Bar staff, in particular, a lovely young man named Edmond, who put up with myself and my husband as we endevoured to try every drink on the cocktail list and ended up pretty worse for wear. He always greeted us with a smile and, on the nights we werent being silly and drinking concoctions of everything on the top shelf, rememebered our drinks and was preparing them even before we had sat down. he really did help to make our honeymoon that little bit more perfect. The food, there was a wide variety of food, the buffet dinner in the hotel and the jamba restaurant with the a la carte menu were a struggle to choose bewtween as they food was so good from both. We didnt get to use the spa, as were too busy relaxing by the swim up pool bar, but the massage hut on the beach was used more than once and very fairly priced. The masages were amazing! Over all we couldnt have asked for a better experience the only problem I have is that it was over too quick! another 2 weeks wouldnt have been long enough !!!

"Holiday"
Janet H, 26 Avril 2016

We stay for thirteen nights well minus two as we went the phi phi islands for two nights. Loved the hotel in bangtao rooms were great, clean, ours was ground floor so we could walk out straight into the pool, breakfast was plentiful. Sunbeds always taken up before we had a chance to use them but sometimes no one on them, by the beach that is but happy enough to use Poole specially swim up pool bar. Only thing that let it down was no were to sit to have a drink in an air conditioned area of a night especially as it was so hot and humid. I found staff friendly especially the French guy who dealt with the entertainment once he found we were from Liverpool always talked and made us laugh, staff were friendly would I go back yes I would but not in April much too hot

"Second visit"
TomJermy, 26 Avril 2016

Once again I stayed at this hotel. This time for 9 nights, and once again I am pleased to say that the quality and standard had not diminished. The staff were are friendly and helpful The food as usual excellent. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, and hope to return again next year

"Comfortable hotel and terrific beach front location !"
KEITH H, 20 Avril 2016

We have recently stayed for 6 nights at the Best Western Premier Bangtao Beach Resort & Spa. We enjoyed our stay here and would summarise our review as follows : Good Points : Very comfortable and large rooms. All facilities worked very well. Air Con was quiet and effective and Wi Fi signal strong. Terrific beach front location on beautiful sandy beach Very friendly and professional staff Close to amenities and some good restaurants. Very wide breakfast selection including exotic tropical fruits and pastries Not so good points : Paying extra for an ocean facing room not really necessary as the trees obscure most of the view to the ocean from the room. No elevator, so quite a hot climb if staying on the fourth floor. As mentioned, the sun lounger policy is not rigorously enforced. The sun loungers in the best positions are "reserved" by 8AM by the placing of towels / personal possessions and are retained for the whole day. (If you want to beat the many Russians and Germans staying here to the sun loungers, you need to be up by 8AM latest, to get the best shaded positions !).

"Relaxing holiday but could be even better..."
Robbie0101, 17 Avril 2016

Spent 10 nights and this has proved to be a hard review to do really. There is so much that is good about the Hotel and then there is the bad which brings down the rating. It really could be a fantastic Hotel so I will start with the good points first. The restaurants - both are positioned beach front and are really very nice places to sit and either have breakfast and dinner. Get a lovely breeze especially in the evening. Pools - swim up pool bar, great pool to swim in, loads of room and also very quiet. Lovely having a nice bar to swim up to as well. Also very clean. Housekeeping / reception - housekeeping excellent no problems here at all. Reception very friendly and extremely helpful. Happy hour - 4.00 - 6.00 pm in the Lobby Bar and Pool bar area. A true happy hour with 50% off all drinks including spirits and cocktails. BBQ Buffet - they do different theme nights and the BBQ buffet night was fantastic, all the meats cooked to perfection. Bedroom - nice and spacious with very good air conditioning which is vital for the humidity and heat here. Now the Bad points. Service - found the service to be unfriendly especially by the bar staff. No hello's, thank you, etc nor any smiles. This was both at the Lobby bar and especially in the Pool bar area. Also breakfast time, no staff to serve coffee / tea even though maybe only 10 other guests in the restaurant. Didn't see many people tipping them so perhaps that is the problem. Breakfast - no variety the whole time we were there. Pastry section if you wanted something sweet was non existent. Really need to change things rather than the same food every day. Menu - nighttime A La Carte menu is disappointing, not enough choices so you end up eating out of the Hotel. Reserving sunbeds - my biggest bug bear. There is a policy that you cannot reserve a sunbed before 9.30 am. Well that doesn't exist. We saw people reserving at 6.30 am one morning, mainly the beds along the beach front which have the nicest views of the sea and get the best breeze. And they often take up 5 at a time. Yes you can get other sunbeds but often the ones in the full sun. They do nothing about it apart from if you are not on your bed when they go round they just fold up your towel but still leave it there so nobody else can take it any way ! Lobby Bar - far too small and no air conditioning so gets very, very hot. Real pity as they have a pavilion that is hardly used that is closer to the beach so would get the sea breeze and would offer great views. Would be a fantastic bar area. All in all we still had a good time but it really could be a great place. Would we return .... no........ better options out there.

"Bangtao beauty"
Maggie O, 14 Avril 2016

It is right on the beach, which is very much a plus. The jet skis are located by this part of the beach. The swimming pools are great, the children loved them as we did too. There are a good selection of beach bars, cafés near the hotel and the beach restaurant of the hotel is good as well - the menu could be a bit more extensive though (especially in Thai food). The swim-up bar to the hotel was great as well. The rooms are good, the staff very friendly and the hotel is good value. What would be ideal if they put the hotel bar nearer the beach as the view is beautiful, especially the sunsets.

"Great beach location, nothing much to do in evenings"
Cristina T, 12 Avril 2016

We really liked the beach location ( no problems with sea lice as previously reported but we had sea lice during our visit to James Bond island). The hotel us right on the beach. Lots of European and Australian tourists. We did not see large groups so that was a plus. Breakfast was the best we had during our stay in the different hotels: lots of options and the Thai food was great. The restaurant by the beach offered good lunch and dinner options. The staff was ok but not very friendly: no smiles either. We arranged transportation with the hotel and we had somebody waiting for us at our arrival 2am. The bill was added to our hotel bill which was great because we had no Bahts. We checked in around 3 am and our room was waiting ( we had booked from the day prior to our arrival). We also booked a taxi through the hotel for transfer to Patong when we checked out. We enjoyed walks on the beach early in the morning and early breakfast. We had no issues getting chairs by pool or beach. Pool was very nice and close to beach. No issues with bugs or mosquitoes and room was very clean. The drawback of location : nothing to do in evenings and taxis are expensive. Patong is lively at night and great to visit but taxi fares are high. Arrange return at the same time you book the way to Pating. The other issue we had: we got room 1206, right on top of the restaurant. We did not sleep at all: clean up of dinner dishes was followed by deliveries of bottles it seemed all night and breakfast prep. The location was also by the street so some of the noise maybe street noise. We finally got up at 5am without any sleep. The manager was not there until 8 am, she said she would tell the restaurant staff but was not very helpful. We were checking out that day so could not get another room and she said she was booked 95%. The hotel did not appear very full. In my opinion, those rooms should not be rented, definitively not a 4 star rating on those. The other negative: the first night my daughter actually got bruises on her hips because the beds are so hard. We could not believe it but it happened! She slept on a 3rd bed for extra guest. The regular beds are hard too but we did not get bruised up! All in all I recommend but we enjoyed 2 days there, not sure it was worth more than that. We actually stayed in 3 different locations in 10 days in Puket: Bangthao, Patong and Karon. We did all our tours from Patong so we enjoyed the nightlife in Patong without having to spend the days on a crowded beach and did the beach in Bangthao and Karon.

"Great family hotel, not really for twenty somethings!"
Cara M, 09 Avril 2016

I don't really have any complaints about the hotel itself - it was very clean, the breakfast was epic (seriously huge buffet!) and it was overlooking a quiet and beautiful beach. The only thing was that the hotel is mostly families and older couples and myself and the friend I went with are in our mid twenties so it maybe wasn't quite the right place for us! I recommend Surin Beach (not far from Bangtao) for younger people. A huge plus though was the 100 baht happy hour cocktails they do at the hotel in the late afternoon! :)

"Good Points and Bad Points"
vanessa w, 02 Avril 2016

Hotel is in a lovely position, spotlessly clean and very friendly staff, rooms are a very good size and the food in the Al La Carte is lovely very well presented and tasty. Excellent bar staff Cha and Nan are fantastic. The massage girls near the beach on the hotel site are fantastic. Personally my downside was the buffet restaurant the food was so repetitive it was on a weekly rota not fortnightly so if you had 2 nights of food that you did not like then you knew the following week it was going to be repeated hence several nights it was a roll and butter with chips. The language barrier made it quite hard sometimes as we took chicken back as it was not cooked but the staff just laughed as they did not understand what we was saying. Lunchtime the choice in the buffet was not good at all so we ate most lunch times in the Al La Carte. It is such a shame that they have a lovely beach but cannot have any sun beds on it if you want to sit on the beach you have to take a towel so for this reason we would not go back to Phuket - there is nothing better than to sit on the beach and listen to the sea. Another problem is the flea lice you go in the sea and you constantly get stung. Of an evening the only bar that is open is by the buffet restaurant where everyone gathers as there is no where else to go but the temperature was reaching 90 degrees most nights and the only form of release is two fans which everyone hurried to get to. Surely it would be nice having the bar by the pool open of an evening so people could sit at the tables or even the Al La Carte so you would get a breeze from the sea as also at this bar there is only a few stools so you have to stand all evening unless you want to sit on a sofa away from everyone. The entertainment is on while you are eating your dinner in the buffet restaurant so if you are in the Al La Carte then you miss it. Again surely this would be better of an evening like most hotels do at around 9pm to break the night up. You must go into Patong there is shops, restaurants, lady boys and much much more extremely busy and buzzing sitting at a bar people watching is great. We met some lovely people which made our holiday. Would we go back no would we go to Thailand again yes but not Phuket we would go to a part that you can have a sunbed on the beach and that there is a bar in the evening that either has air conditioning or fresh air.

"Brilliant "
suzidog, 30 Mars 2016

Stayed here for two weeks from March 5th. Rooms aren't meant to be available until 2pm but after a long flight we were glad to get our room around 10am. We stayed in block 5 which had a pool view, rooms are very large though lack of drawer space the wardrobe was big and had a safe free of charge inside. Bathroom is a good space and loads of toiletries, razors toothbrushes cotton buds etc a very nice touch and are replaced as often as you use them. We were staying on an all inclusive basis which runs from 12noon until 11pm daily. There is the standard buffet and also an a la caret restaurant. The buffet isn't that great and runs on a weekly menu but the restaurant is excellent and we ate there most nights. The pool areas are lovely though shaded by the trees and the pool bar staff Nan and Ae are fantastic and Cha at the night bar was just brilliant and does the bar by himself and you never have to wait for drinks. The gardens are beautiful and the whole area is spotless clean. We made some wonderful friends whilst staying here and are definitely considering going back next year. My only criticism would be they need more fans and comfortable bar stools at the night bar.

"Perfect holiday, stayed 11th-26th March"
tilly1379, 27 Mars 2016

Room 3204 overlooked pool. Central for Phuket and Patong on nice comfy air con.shuttle bus,( small charge) beach, pools, room, lovely. Staff amazing, service in both restaurants brilliant, as was the food, authentic Thai.special thanks to Nan at the pool bar, for looking after us and teaching us a little Thai.and Cha at lobby bar. Traveled with another couple. Had perfect weather, warm sea and pools. We have all travelled extensively, including some 5 * hotels, never return twice ( big world out there) but we will return here at some point soon

"Beautiful it's just paradise"
simon d, 25 Mars 2016

Firstly I must say how fantastic Cha (chadix maraña) the barman is he really made our holiday awesome, relaxing and enjoyable (he really deserves a pay rise or a management position) he is one of the reasons we will be returning to Thailand. The rest of the staff from the bar, reception and the restaurant were all really friendly, helpful and made us laugh everytime we seen them especially Tone and Ging, I stayed in room number 5402 which was great as it's on the top floor so I got a great range of views of the pool, beach and sea as well as the surrounding Thai hills etc. The other nice thing was that we were away from the main pool and entertainment area so it was always nice and quiet. The entertainment team were great and aways tried there best to get everyone involved and having fun, I even ended up singing karaoke. We rented scooters for 9 days at 2000 baht which was a much more cost effective solution than getting tuk tuks everywhere at the cost of 1200 baht return to the nearest town. We got the scooters and booked all our trips outside the hotel (which was much cheaper) from a lady called Lee just round the corner from the hotel, mention Simon sent you! If you fancy a night out but don't want to go far the Orange Corner Bar where Cha took us is brilliant, fun, cheap and its just over the road from where we got our trips plus you can stream your own music from YouTube to the play in the Bar which was really cool and also they serve international alcohol there. The hotel itself was great with a lovely setting and right on the beach which had amazing views and you must watch the sunset it's magical, the rooms were always cleaned to a high standard with fresh towels and bed sheets everyday, all the staff were amazing and want to do everything for you! Which is great as you can just relax. Finally the hotels all inclusive is great lots of things to eat and drink including beer, cocktails, soft drinks, and milkshakes even iced coffees. my advice is to try everthing, breakfast is awesome with everything you could possibly want! There's a great bar menu free if your all inclusive and we even had steak, kebabs and king prawns a few nights, all meal times had a chef on hand to cook you anything you wanted on the grill right in front of you, if I had to mention anything it's that the menu's for lunch and dinner should not be the same each week and the mini bar in your room should be free but there just suggestions. I have no issues and no complaints, So overall I'm extremely happy and pleased with everything and now I'm certainly in love with Thailand, I would definitely come back and I would definitely stay in the best western again. I also recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Phuket. Thank you Best Western Premier hotel for a great holiday.

"Nice beach hotel with excellent value for money, cleanliness better than in many 5 star hotels"
Marko R, 25 Mars 2016

Hotel is nicely located right on a nice quiet Bangtao beach. The breakfast is of good variety, the food is fresh and the thing that separates this hotel from similars is the level of cleanliness. You can see the difference in rooms, restaurants and pools from small signs. I.e. the mattresses of sun beds are taken away for the night not just left hanging on the bedside. The service is very good although not everyone understands or speaks English sufficiently. We were very happy with everything in this hotel. Special mention to Pawnee guest service lead, who is a real professional on her demanding job. Nice touch was also the hotels own sport instructor team who made excellent sports activities like water gymnastics and nice free shows in some evenings.

"Beautiful"

I came to Best Western 4th March to the 19th and our 2 week stay was lovely. I can't find a fault in anything at all. Our rooms were spotless and the staff were all friendly (especially Cha) our favourite. He is amazing. However I am not impressed by the extra workers at your hotel the French workers that work as the Framissia team as one of them (Rapheal) followed me all the way near enough to my hotel room and tried to kiss me about 6 times. I pushed him away more than once and he would not leave me alone and carried on pushing himself onto me and touching my face. He later begged me to add him on Facebook and I know that his interest in younger girls is pretty common with guests that stay at your hotel.

"A Perfect Stay! "
Jade M, 21 Mars 2016

My Boyfriend and I stayed here for two weeks 04/03 - 19/03 and we had read some mixed reviews of the Hotel but it was so lovely. We arrived at the Hotel at 8am where we were greeted with a welcome drink and had some Breakfast there before heading up to our room which was nice that we could check in early after a long flight! There are plenty of sun loungers there as there are two pools and the loungers on the Beach front. Not once did we struggle for two loungers next to each other. Our room and bathroom was larger than we thought it would be and our Balcony over looked the pool and beach, so beautiful! The Staff were ever so friendly and would always make sure you were ok. On food and beverage "Arvie" served us quite a lot and was so polite and always happy, a lot of the staff were very polite which was lovely to see. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner was always plentiful and there was always a huge variety of foods to choose from. Everything tastes so fresh and gorgeous, especially the desserts!! This was our first time to Thailand and I can honestly say we would love to come back to this hotel as we loved our stay, two weeks was just not long enough!

"Nice location friendly and helpful staff"
kwcool21, 17 Mars 2016

I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days to relax after traveling S E Asia For 4 weeks 4 countries . The hotel grounds are nice ,right on the beach which is why I chose it . The hotel was full of Europeans ,not very polite ! Every morning they would put things on the lounge chairs to claim them For later use . Sometimes they would claim pool lounge chairs and beach chairs both ! I guess they wanted to be sure they had everything the wanted ! The ratio of guests to chairs is about 3 or 4 guests to 1 lounge chair . I thought this was very rude . One day they even came and took my shade umbrella for them selves. The hotel is not to blame but a pool observation person might help the problem . The beds were typical cheap hard Thai beds found in 2 star hotels . For a Best Western I expected much better. I stayed in the Sleep With Me in Patong for $50 a night and the beds were great

We have just stayed here for 10 days, it was our second visit to this hotel and it did not disappoint. Our room was very comfortable, the pool area lovely. Ths hotel has a policy of no towels before 9.30am on deck chairs unless you are sitting in them! They enforce this policy and it works perfectly. We never failed to get a good sunlounger. The breakfasts were excellent, plenty if choice and we used the restaurant several times, tasty food, sometimes the service was a little slow. The one thing I would like to see is a dedicated non smoking area in the breakfast area and although they had this in the restaurant, it was adjacent to a smoking area - not pleasant for non smokers. The beach was lovely and the pool areas comfortable.

"A wonderful place for a visit"
mb2197, 07 Mars 2016

Spent a relaxing two weeks at this hotel. Situated right on the beach where the sea was safe to swim in with a Lifeguard situated within 100 metres. The hotel has two restaurants, one buffet with a good selection of both local and international cuisine and the second an a la carte, which catered for all palettes and was very good. 2 bars are available, one being situated adjacent to a swimming pool. There were two swimming pools and a children's paddling pool. Boule, table tennis, Canoes and sail boards are available for free use by hotel residents. A gym with treadmills and exercise bikes were available for those so inclined. The hotel had its own massage parlour and jacuzzi. Rooms were large and well appointed. They included fridge, telephone, TV, kettle and the relevant facilities to make tea and coffee. 2 bottles of water were provided for guests use daily. Staff were very friendly and looked after guests very well. A taxi rank is situated close to the hotel entrance.

"Great hotel, breakfasts and buffet nights "
Amanda1505, 06 Mars 2016

Stayed here for 2wks with my boyfriend; this was our first visit to Thailand. Accommodation clean and fulfilled our needs. Breakfast bar 5*. Definitely try the little chicken stall by the front of hotel - best street food and so cheap! Will be back this year

"wonderful hotel!!"
chelsea f, 05 Mars 2016

I stayed here with my partner and another couple the week commencing 13th for 2 weeks. What a lovely hotel! • Hotel – Very nice, clean and tidy hotel. Smaller than what we are used to but it was still a wonderful hotel. 2 swimming pools with plenty of sun loungers around each. We never used the pool with the swim up bar because it was fairly shady most of the day and we just liked the one close to the restaurant. Both pools and area kept very clean and tidy. As mentioned, the hotel is somewhat ‘shady'. There were parts around the pool which had sun majority of the day but if these loungers were taken, you would have to move later/earlier on in the day if you liked to follow the sun. Nothing can be done about it so for me it wasn't a problem and was thankful for a slightly shadier afternoon being so hot. Beach was nice and kept clean. I do not go on the beach much only for walks but it seemed nicely kept and tidy. There are no sun beds on the beach itself provided by hotel (due to a new law) so you would have to pay a local for these. The rooms were wonderful and very spacious. We were in block 3 and had a partial sea/pool view. Palm trees were in the way but didn't bother us as we never sat out on the balcony. Beds were huge and slightly hard but you could ask for a mattress topper if you wanted. There was a desk and table in the room if you wanted to eat in also which was nice. Large wardrobe with safe. Also in the wardrobe were slippers and dressing gowns which made it even more special. There was a fridge with bits in the hotel charged for but we just hopped across the road to the super market and stored bits in it. Nice big walk in shower in the bathroom. Quite a few toiletries in the room also which is a nice touch. A great thing was the fact that a majority of the plugs sockets in the room were suitable for all UK plugs without the use of an adapter! You could just pop it straight into the wall which was extremely helpful and far easier. They also have a mosquito plug in included to use. The maid will bring round refillable tablets. Note- Lots of Mosquitoes! Do not bother to buy the bands they do not work! And buy a strong spray with lots of deet! • Restaurants- 2 restaurants one buffet and one a la carte. We were all inclusive so I couldn't say whether they were priced reasonably or not but the food is good. I am not a eater of curry/fish/spice or things but always found something to eat. The buffet restaurant has theme nights every night. International & buffet were my favourite. Also plenty of food available warm and tasty. Breakfast was buffet to and again plenty of choice. The a la carte was really nice. We could eat here as often as we wanted for lunch and dinner. There was arrange of dishes from all over the world and it was a 3 course sit down meal. Never had a problem with food or service. • Staff –Extremely helpful and accommodating. Some struggled with English but, tried their very best to understand and if not would ask a colleague. Never experienced any rude or unhelpfulness from any one. Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. Got us checked in quickly and efficiently. Our rooms were not ready until 2pm but we were able to go off and use the facilities. I am not good with names, but the bar staff (near the lobby) were brilliant. Always quick and cheerful! Also, tried to remember what you were drinking. The waiters/waitresses were extremely pleasant and accommodating. Maid always did a great job tip or no tip. Top marks all round! • Location – Literally 10 steps across the road is a row of shops and bars. Supermarket 7/11 is very convenient if you want to buy any snacks or drinks or anything in fact. If you keep walking around the bend your come across A few little restaurants and bars. Patong is about 45mins away traffic depending! Well worth a few visits down here in the evening. The hotel offer a shuttle bus for a fee. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere and very busy! You will get your lady boy photos here and a club vibe. Even if you don't want the whole ‘night out' experience, it's great to walk up and down the main road and maybe stop somewhere for a drink and just people watch. Plenty of characters! But also if you do want a party scene this is it!! This is a must do either way! We went to phuket night market which is on a Saturday and Sunday. Definitely go here is you want your tat/cheap clothing or any fake items (bags, sunglasses etc). Probably around 500 stalls all indoors (which means it does get extremely hot) but there are plenty of food/drink stalls around. A great way to spend the evening and just soak up Thailand. My main advice is barter barter barter! We did 3 excursions all booked through Thomson – 4 in 1 safari , James bond island and phi phi island. Recommend all of them! Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic holiday and would 100% stay in this hotel again and can't wait to go back to Thailand.

I just came back from this beautiful hotel, which is directly at Bangtao Beach. The rooms are really comfotable and look very nice and everything was very clean all the time. We werd also very satisfied with the employeed because they were always ready to help amd fulfill every wish. However, especially Edmond from the lobby bar, stayed in our minds. He made us coffee every morning. He is very friendly, always in a good mood and simply good at his job. We want to say thank you to Edmond for making our stay so confortable. Stay the way you are.

"amazing hotel and resort with the same Buts"
andy1966a, 04 Mars 2016

hotel was great - staff was great - location was great Kitchen staff in particular for the cookery class - A*** slight disappointment - that hotel tried to relocate me despite booking 9 months in advance (poor customer service there) and also sea lice as per previous writer however did not detract from brilliant time

"Great place to stay...........But!!!!"
Gary344, 01 Mars 2016

Just got back from this lovely hotel in Phuket and what can I say. Hotel Brilliant, staff very very nice, helpful and polite, rooms spacious and clean with air con and if you are lucky enough to get a sea view then even better. The hotel is on the beach so no complaints there. The food was ample and a big variety. The Head Chef Danny is a great guy. My thanks for the friendliness of Cha the barman and Apple the receptionist. Highly recommend but I did say a but, well 3 actually. 1. The water is full of stinging sea Lice and jellyfish ( google them ) a mild temporary sting but uncomfortable. 2. For people like me with a bit of a thirst in hot weather, the bar shuts at 23.00. 3. If you are unlucky enough to be on the 3rd floor like me there re no lifts in the hotel. Perfect quiet location for a peaceful holiday and the exchange rates at reception are as good as anywhere.

"Returned Visit - Just as Good"
billy1950, 28 Février 2016

We stayed at the hotel last February and enjoyed the accomadation and resort that we returned this year. Before we arrived we asked for the same room as last year 5310 and were delighted that we were given the same again. The hotel was fully booked but even so the management were able to meet our request for the room, it was greatly appreciated. The hotel continues to provide a high level of service and customer care. Since last year there have been new loungers around the pool and grassed areas and also a policy of no towels being left blocking them until after 9.30. We were on a B and B basis and breakfast was of a good standard and range of choice. This year we were able to access wifi across the whole site including our room which is an improvement from before were reception or nearby was the only access point.

"Amazing holiday"
Wiz C, 21 Février 2016

Just got back from a fortnight staying at the Bangtao Beach Resort and Spa. The welcome on our arrival was great, cold drink and a speedy check in and although we arrived 7.00am our room was ready. Huge room on the third floor of the 5th block. Very clean, spacious and everything you would need, I've hair dryer, fridge, wifi etc. The food was amazing - we are mainly in the buffet restaurant but we also ate in the a la carte restaurant. The food choices were plenty - the fish was plentiful and delicious and if you love prawns they are plentiful! Beautiful view from either restaurant of the beach. Pool bar staff very attentive and never overly busy. The beach is fabulous and you can walk for miles ...... There is a baby elephant on the beach on some occasions. Beautiful clear water to swim in and lovely sand. One night we ate at one of the restaurants on the beach which was a lovely experience.....delicious food and great atmosphere listening to the sea. Few shacks along the beach where you can get a cocktail drink and watch the sunset - very special The staff were soooooo helpful - Sorn in the pool bar, Teekor in the restaurant along with Ging and Vorathum who is the F & B Manager to name but a few. I would thoroughly recommend staying here for the beach, the location, food, hotel and staff - just sad to be home in the dreary cloudy UK!

"Great hotel"
Sylwia M, 19 Février 2016

Best Western Bangtao Beach Hotel is an excellent hotel. We were staying there in December 2015 and had absolutely amazing time. Food was really good, an excellent service ( especially Nino, shame he doesn't work there anymore. People who complained are probably miserable in general!) . Rooms are large, very nice swimming pools. Perfect destination for a holiday. I would go there again without any hesitation.

"Great hotel.... Amazing location!"
RachelPeterborough, 14 Février 2016

We came from a 5 star hotel in Bangkok and noticed differences straight away, however we arrived around 8pm in the dark, once we had slept and woke in the morning, we realised our room was really good, its was a large room, with a fridge, complimentary water, hair dryer, toiletries everything you could need. The view at breakfast was amazing, the breakfast was great, again not 5 star level but still really good and the view more than made up for the small quibbles. The two pools were great and the swim up bar was nice too, my only complaint is sun disappears around 4.30pm, but we are beach people and quite often spent the day there instead. The hotel has a couple of great restaurants. they have an area where you can get a really great massage for around £7 for one hour. The hotel bar stays open to 1am and serve some great cocktails. They also have alot of activities throughout the day if that's your thing. The hotel is on the beach and its one of the most beautiful beaches i have seen, we spent most days walking up and down the beach, stopping for a swim if we got too hot (the water is so clear) or we stopped at one of the many beach shacks for a drink or food all were very good, the one next to the hotel was great and as the sun goes down they bring tables and lights out to the beach, so you can have dinner in a really nice setting. In the small town you will find quite a few good restaurants and bars walking distance, such as Nok and Jo's, Bo restaurant, the bistro. The Orange corner bar is great and stays open until about 3am. Also next to the hotel, is a couple of shops, chemists, cash machines and Taxi rank. Really great holiday cant wait to go back.

"Great would go back"
kathgBristol, 13 Février 2016

I am currently at this hotel. It's beautiful here, pool clean plenty of sunbeds, room is large with beautiful views of pool beach and sea. People are really helpful, food is good, I can't really fault this place. If you go just outside there are shops, pharmacy,ATM, and restaurants. There are also a couple of tuck tucks selling street food. This is our first visit to Thailnd and based on this hotel I would definitely return.

"A relaxing holiday in the sun"
JohnBoy582, 12 Février 2016

We booked a fortnight's holiday in this splendid resort in the hot January weather. Immediately upon arriving there was a problem, as we had been flying overnight, and arrived at the hotel at 9am Thai time, very tired as we had hardly slept all night in the aeroplane, but the room was not available until 2pm! So we had to sit around with our cases for five hours, you do need to be prepared for this, have your shorts and T-shirts in hand luggage to change into to sit by the pool for a while and a good book to read! After we had some sleep in the room (and had a Thai massage) the holiday improved dramatically! The hotel pool is warm and deep, ideal for swimming, and the beach is lovely and ideal for walking along, and right alongside the hotel. The Thai people are very helpful and do their best for you, and we really like Thai food, their menu is based on rice dishes but the choice of meats or fish is very wide and good quality. There were good beers, wines and some cocktails included in the all-inclusive menu. The "Jamba" restaurant in particular was excellent, a wide choice of tasty dishes. Service is excellent. The room was huge and very comfortable, the only problem being that, as it was situated in an annexe to the hotel next to the main street, we occasionally had loud noise in the late evening from bars along the main street immediately outside the room. Room service was excellent. The entertainment was also surprisingly good, with singers and musicians as well as Thai dancers entertaining us in the main restaurant in the evenings. If you book excursions, check exactly what is included in the outings, as we found they were usually not very well described and there was a lot of repetition between different excursions. Wi-Fi was intermittent in the hotel room, to be certain we often took the Ipad into the hotel lobby where the signal was strongest. The electrics also cut out on occasions, but the staff were quick to rectify the problem. Overall a very relaxing holiday and to be recommended!

"amazing hotel"
tammy31266, 12 Février 2016

Just returned from two weeks at this hotel it is perfect in every way its immaculate everywhere the rooms are large with all facilaties you may require. The food is of a very high standard with a lot of choice it also has a a lacarte restaurant that you can use day or night this also is suberb The staff everywhere are really friendly and helpful We would like to give a big thanks to sorn and jay at the pool bar who are very hard working and make the quests feel important . The beach is very large but not too busy and the sea is warm the local fisherman are very helpful and will take you out for the day if you want . my husband went out twice fishing with them. James bond island is a fantastic day out and well worth the money so is the elephant trekking . id never been to Thailand before but will be going back next year to the very same hotel. Outside of the hotel there are several bars shops and resturants All in all this hotel is worth the money and a credit to thailand

"Great Hotel!.. Fantasic Holiday!!"
Dawnelle, 10 Février 2016

My family and I went with a group of 17 (all family and friends) in Jan 2016 for 2 weeks, we all had a fantastic holiday! The hotel is very clean, the bathroom is a wet room which is fab! the water pressure is great too. Friendly staff and food is very good!!... Location is perfect, except no sunbeds or parasols are allowed on the beach, which is a shame as the trees surrounding this lovely hotel leave you in the shade, but there is sunshine around the pool all day (we just wanted to sit on the beautiful beach)The bar staff are happy and like to chat, one of our friends had a small accident in the pool and they were straight over with first aid box and rang the hotels first aider .Be Aware you WILL get bitten!! no matter what you do!! 15 of us did (various degrees) out of 17... the mosquitos will leave you alone after the first few days though!!.. The little shack bars and restaurants along the beach are lovely, they look amazing at night. You can hire a long tail boat from the beach, negotiate the price!! (although its always cheap) they will take you to little beautiful islands and will stop when its good for snorkling! (take a cool bag on holiday for these trips)... All in all I totally recommend this hotel.. Enjoy Thailand.. We did and will go back!!!!!

"right on the beach * alergy cards by food"
007jezabel, 09 Février 2016

Spent Christmas 2015 here. Wonderful beach reached by a couple of steps. Great walk along the beach at the south end of the beach. Two large pools with plenty of seating. Table service after lunch. Pool bar offers lunch or snacks. Handly shops across the road, mini market landry etc. This is the only hotel i have seen the buffet breakfast have alergy information next to each food and drink. I found the attention to detail perfect for those with extra needs. We had a fun filled Christmas Eve buffet dinner with a band and local dancing. the hotel has a couple of reps for entertainment, even though we we not psrt of that holiday company we could join in if we wished no pressure. Alround great experience. Along the beach there are places to eat and trips. No excuse to move very far away everything you need is within 10 minutes.

"A Real Surprise"
ClontarfPorky76, 26 Janvier 2016

We wanted to stay out of Patong which is far too busy to enjoy a relaxing holiday. In booking this hotel we expected an average hotel not too far from the airport. The taxi journey from the airport worried us as we seem to be going through very poor areas. On arrival at the hotel the Lobby was not attractive but the staff were friendly and welcoming. First shock was to find our room was on the third floor and there was no lift. However the room was very good and overlooked one of the two lovely pools. Breakfast was very good served in their beach side restaurant. Variety of breakfast foods a bit limited. We enjoyed swimming in the pools but the best was swimming in the ocean from the great sandy beach in front of the hotel. At night we ate in the two local restaurants set up on the beach. Food was good and cheap. There is also a number restaurants in the street outside the hotel. We would rate the hotel very highly. Only negatives, no lift, beds hard but staff very friendly and the hotel is in a great location on this beautiful Bangtao Bay.

"Birthday Celebration "
Stuart M, 26 Janvier 2016

Unbelievable resort. Accommodation, Staff and facilities were excellent. Food was amazing. Made some great friends. Will definitely be going back. Staff members Cha in the lobby bar and Edmond in the pool bar will look after you and help as much as they can and not forgetting Jane on reception was also very helpful.

"great holiday"
vivian d, 24 Janvier 2016

we have just returned from 2 weeks at this Hotel it is in a great location on the beach and is right next to shops and restaurants so not a lot of walking to see local area, we were on all inclusive at hotel but ate out a couple of times just for a change, but food at hotel was very good at both Restaurants one buffet and one al- a- carte if a problem food could have been served a little hotter this was not a complaint but just a small point, the staff were all first class and nothing to much trouble from reception to restaurant and,bar staff and room maids..The rooms were very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The Beach was clean with plenty of room which was great as after reading other reviews was not sure what to expect but the law on beach now says no sunbeds allowed so lots of space with plenty of beds around pool and under trees in grounds which was great as heat reached 35 -38 c most days. would i recommend this hotel this Hotel Yes if you want nice surroundings and staff that would do any hotel a credit then try this hotel you will not be sorry.

"Memorable Holiday"
Chris H, 16 Janvier 2016

This was our first time in Thailand and we were certainly not disappointed. This hotel was really lovely. The hotel is on the beach and at the end of Bangtao Beach so it was never too busy. All the staff were lovely, polite and friendly. Our room was on the first floor and overlooked the pool and had a sea view. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and toiletries were really nice. The food and drinks were amazing! We ate in the restaurant on the beach most days as the choice was very good and to a high standard. The deserts would have benefited from being kept cold and under cover but that is the only negative about the food. The only reason we would not return to this hotel is because most of it is in the shade. As we are sun lovers this proved to be a pain as only a few of the sun beds round the pool get the sun all day and most of the beach front beds are in the shade of the trees. Obviously if you are sensible and don't like to lay in the sun all day then you will not find a better hotel than this!

"Good hotel next to the beach"
Alex S, 10 Janvier 2016

We had a great stay for two weeks. The biggest surprise came with finding out that there was no elevator in the hotel and we were placed on the 3d floor. Traveling with a baby makes it very inconvenient. We expressed our concern to the reception and they upgraded us to the ground floor terrace room for free. We really appreciated this. Two swimming pools are spacious and beach proximity is nice. Rooms have been well cleaned. AC behaves a bit different, basically keeps buzzing and blowing all the time (unless turned off) but cooling function turns on and off. I would rather like it to go off when the setup temperature is reached. In addition low fan mode blows too much, so you can feel it at night. The gym is OK, rather old equipment, bikes need replacement. Staff is welcoming, but English (of locals) is not their strong point :) Jane is the best ;-) WIFI kept hiccuping most of the time.

"Okay, but not quite 4star"
nickconlon, 10 Janvier 2016

Wonderful setting in the beach - it is at the southern point of Bangtao beach so you can walk up to the surrounding hotels - and nice rooms, but to set expectations this is quite a crammed and a tad outdated hotel. If visiting in peak times expect a packed, quite small pool area which is a far cry from many of the spacious hotels further along the beach Not quite 4 star in my opinion and probably below standard for an average Best Western

"Great"
Sebastian B, 06 Janvier 2016

I stayed here for a few nights and did accommodate some 50 people for my wedding in here. I want to congratulate the stuff, they are awesome and do make this place special. The rooms and the setting is quite standard but if you are booked in the suites you do have a decent room to yourself. Due to the size, the common areas can be rather packed. The location itself is pretty neat as Bangtao is rather quite compared to other areas. You are in a decent restaurant in no time and also the golf courses are easily accessible. I mostly would recommend this place for a larger group or a family.

"Who Designed The Layout To This Hotel?"
sunandsandseekersuk, 04 Janvier 2016

This was our first trip to Thailand and our first time away from home during the Christmas and New Year period. Having never been to Thailand before I decided to go the all inclusive option so we knew we had the services to fall back on. The approach to the hotel doesn't do it justice as it is down a small shop and restaurant lined road with countless bikes and Tuk Tuks whizzing around (Tuk Tuks are local motorbike taxis). Arriving at 9am meant we couldn't check in immediately which we knew about however I had a plan to upgrade, which we did and manage to get into our Junior Suite straight away. The immediate impression I got of the place was the friendliness of the staff and their smiley faces - a welcome assurance following the long flight. We took a look at the room choice before making the upgrade and was pleased we did as it offered more space, a slightly better view and a Jacuzzi as well. The room was clean and well presented and this was achieved every day by the hard working room maids. At this stage I will not comment on the Spa facility or the Massage area as we used neither of these during our stay. At lunchtime we were feeling a little peckish so ventured to the Jamba Restaurant which is the Al A Carte restaurant at the hotel. Finding a table near to the front and sitting down you suddenly realised what a beautiful part of the world you are in. The sea is blue and the beach stretches out forever. On looking at the menu I realised we were in for a real treat. Lovely choices and prepared specially for you served to the table and washed down with a Chang beer or refreshing glass of wine. So why the questioning headline? Considering where this hotel is the layout of the facility, in my humble opinion, is wrong. The main evening bar for instance can sit about 20 people around it if you are lucky and once they are in place the rest of the lounge area is not very appealing mainly because it is so far away from the beach. If you care to read any of my other reviews I have been to a variety of places most of which have capitalised on their views by having a large enough bar in a position that you can appreciate where you are. Unfortunately, all you can appreciate in this bar is people playing pool or a Butlins style attempt at Strictly Come Dancing - not what I have come to see! Furthermore, the main buffet restaurant lacked any atmosphere with bright lighting and tables and chairs which looked like they had come from a motorway service station. I must add however that the choice and quality of food at the buffet restaurant was very good - it was just a shame that the ambiance was as it was as it would have resulted in us staying in more evenings than we did. The hotel did stage two Gala events during our stay to celebrate Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Both had entertainment and music going on and one could see that a huge amount of effort had been made for the spectacles. Unfortunately there was not much turkey left when we came to get our main course and it was apparent that a lot of guest had gone straight for the carvery which had been exhausted by the time we got there. I can't say we left hungry because there was plenty else however this was a disappointment and if we had been paying for the evening at circa £60 a head it would have been a problem. The pool we used was the main pool with the pool bar which was nice because families with children tended to use the other pool area thus keeping their noise and play in one place. The pool bar itself was a bit strange as it was on two levels, the bottom level of which wasn't attended so you had to attract attention if you wanted to be served. To the credit of the bar staff they were good and quickly got to know your preferred drink choice (Special reference to Cha, Sorn and Edmond!). One daft thing however was that all inclusive customers couldn't have "free" alcoholic drinks until 12 noon whereas the pay as you go guests could order after 11am - for the sake of one hour, come on! One other criticism of the main pool is the exit points - there are only two dedicated step ladders out at opposite ends of the pool - not enough. One other point is that it would be simple to add a small step either side of the pool bar to allow guests to exit that way as well. Personally, being on the large side it was difficult getting in and out as easily as I would like to. The sun loungers were comfortable - especially those with the added cushion layer. Naturally there was the usual towel laying going on which can't be stopped I'm afraid so I have a view if you can't beat them join them. I am however a believer if you do reserve a lounger that you should be using it before 11am. I probably sounds like I've moaned more that complimented however I don't want to give that impression. It was so cheap to go outside to eat in the evening that we had many excursions to local restaurants which added to the variety of the holiday. This is a lovely place however with a few adjustments it could be superb. My endearing memory was sitting on the beach on New Years Eve watching the amount of lanterns increase from 30 to 50 to 100's before one of the most spectacular firework displays you can imagine when all the resorts up and down the beach let off their own individual displays that collectively created a feast for the eyes. Would I go back to Thailand - almost certainly. Would I stay at the Best Western again? I rarely go back to a resort however if I find they're changed the layout to be a little more user friendly you never know! If you are going there or planning to go I am sure you will not be disappointed.

"Fabulous staff = exceptional holiday"
BigBirdKentishMaid, 29 Décembre 2015

Our 3rd visit to Phuket but the first time to this area. We were initially drawn to the fact that it was going to be quieter and more relaxed and the area didn't disappoint. The beach is beautiful and whilst the water is not so clear as other areas it is still good. The hotel is spacious and inviting. The rooms beautifully clean and comfortable, some may find the bed a little firm but this suited us. The only downside to our room was a lack of draw space but this is again a minor point. As far as the public areas are concerned the hotel is very good. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and facilities like the toilets well maintained throughout the day. There are two large swimming pools plus a paddling pool if the beach is not your thing. One has a swim up bar and naturally lends itself to being more adult focussed. The pool with the swim up bar is looking a little tired but again nothing too dreadful. Plenty of sun loungers, with cushions - again these were regularly cleaned. (Just need to train the guests not to hog the sunniest ones and then not use them). The food in all of the restaurants was very good. We were there for the gala Christmas Eve dinner. That was astonishing, amazing food, The best part of this hotel though, are the staff, everyone from the gardeners to front of house are unfailingly polite, helpful and cheerful. Special mention must go to Edmund, Pas, Cha and Sorn. Nino and Liza in the restaurant too. Thank you for a most memorable holiday.

"Fab holiday "
DEBBIEA39, 23 Décembre 2015

First time to Phuket not a great start due to our flight being delayed 24 hours . The hotel is really nice the rooms are a good size with part sea view we was in 3303 and it was close to everything . the staff are lovely cha and pas worked fab together good at there jobs nothing to much trouble. The food was some of the best we have had . We had no trouble getting sun beds there are plenty even in the afternoon both pools are nice and the water not cold , The beach is really nice the sea is warm there are no sun beds on the beach but I can see why as it would spoil it . Getting round Phuket is easy as well from this hotel taxis were fine we went to the night market took us there and then we said a time to come back and they was there and they are cheap . You have shops just out side the hotel . The entertainment team are good especially Raphael he was so funny and nice . We are already looking to book here again next Dec

"Threatened by incompetent and rude staff"
khenghoe, 21 Décembre 2015

I stayed at this hotel on 21.12.2015. One staff of the restaurant, Nino, who spoke the best English amongst the staff, unfortunately did not do his job properly. He took orders but his orders never came. The other staff who were less competent in English also took orders and the orders came promptly. As I was halfway through a phone call, he came to disrupt me because I put my legs on the chair. I was annoyed at being disturbed and waved him off but he refused. Instead, I had to end my call. He then started calling out loudly to me that I am rude and this is not my house. I told him to go learn do his job properly since he couldn't even take orders properly. His response was, "If you want, let's go outside now". I have NEVER been threatened by a hotel staff ever. This was a first. The rest of the staff at the restaurant had to pull him away. The manager came and apologised, She was nice enough, but really, you do not stay at a hotel expecting to be threatened by a hotel staff. I have been to Thailand so many times but I have never encountered a bad situation like this. This is my WORST hotel experience ever, and I have stayed in a range of hotels from backpackers to 5-star hotels.

"Nice spot needs a bit of improving "
Nalin W, 21 Décembre 2015

My second time here after 8 years, it's still a nice place with friendly service - it has grown much as has the rest of Bangtao Beach. The air-conditioning needs a refurbishment as it's not consistent through the night & WiFi needs fixing as it is pathetically weak.

"Fantastic holidays and a great service"
Mrc D, 20 Décembre 2015

It was my first stay in Best Western Bang Tao and I will definitely come back a 2nd time ! From the staff at front desk to the staff at the Bar and in the 2 Restaurants, it was a very good service. Especially the 3 bartender Cha, Pas and Edmond were always friendly and attentive. My accomodation was in an extra area next to the main building ( With a nice garden view ). The facilitiy of the room was simple but sufficient with enough space in the wardrobe. The bathroom was unfortunately very old and needs to be renovated but it was still clean. The Hotel ist located in a very nice bay and highly recommended for long walks and guests who just want to relax and escape of the daily routine at home. Because of the really good service, the nice location and the good standard of this Best Western Hotel - I can recommend this hotel in every sense !

"Perfect Holiday, great resort"
HeiMie, 09 Décembre 2015

We are not exactly resort-people, as we more like the local and familiar feel. But as we now had our 10-months old daughter with us, we decided to take the "easy-way" and book a room from a resort. I had no high expectations, but if I would have had some, they would all have been exceeded. Everyone can build a nice resort, but it is the staff who give the soul to it. Here we had it all: Nice surroundings, great room, great pools, best beach possible for a wanna-be-toddler. But most importantly, the people. The staff was like a big family and it was really hard to leave. There is not a rating high enough. From the maids to the waitresses - all were attending and caring and genuin. So we got it all - the easy stay in a resort and the local and familiar feel! Also the fault of many other resorts - too high pricing of food and drinks was not true here. You could get great food and shakes/drinks at the same price than what you would buy from the street. So eating in was actually a good idea here. The only "negative" I could mention is that the language skills were generally poor. This does not really matter anywhere else, but the front-desk personnel should really have better english-language skills to be able to ask advice etc. But this is definetly not a reason not to go there :)

"Great visit"
onmove2013, 07 Décembre 2015

Taxi from Airport 700 bht.Half hour ride. Stayed in garden villa - large room 44m2. good condition - gardens beautiful. Two great pools. Restaurant very high standard, same price as outside resort. Eat in resort every day for evening meals and breakfasts good also. Reception staff first class - cleaning staff same - Shuttle bus to Phuket town/Patong 200 bht one way 325 bht return. Taxi rates the same organised from the resort as outside. This resort is worth a visit but area not the best if you want night clubs and shops - go to Patong.

"Fantastic Holiday "
L M, 07 Décembre 2015

We had a fantastic holiday at this hotel in November this year. The hotel was clean, friendly and the food was fantastic. The hotel sits on a 3 mile beach that has all sorts of water sports. The hotel provides some free but all the motor sports are chargeable by guys on the beach, my advice is haggle with them. Don't accept your first price there are discounts to be had. Thai people are lovely people, learn hello and thank you as using these went a very long way with people. The staff will help you. A lot of the staff in this hotel are from the Philippines. Again very lovely respectful people. In the main apart from a couple of occasions the service received from the staff was fantastic, particular guys to look out for in the bar. The expert bartenders Cha, Edmund, Arlee and Trainee Pas were outstanding. The service and perfection you got from these guys made our holiday special. In the restaurant 2 guys stood out Chit and Milmo they were over offering new drinks as you got to the bottom of your glass they couldn't do enough for you. The attention to detail was second to none. We also went out and had food in restaurants in the area. Majority of guests were French and each night the French holiday team put in some entertainment if you can call it that. The hotel put on different things in the buffet resturant every night. The entertainment was not the best and the resort very quiet. I'd probably move to a busier resort next time in Thailand. We didn't book our trips with Thomson and we got the same trips at half the price Thomson was charging. The hotel has shuttle bus to Phuket City and Patong for a small fee. This was great and we used a few times. All in all I I will be back to Thailand however I won't go fully inclusive next time. Bed and Breakfast is ample as it is very cheap to eat out and there is loads of delicious places to eat. The reason why I downgraded from a 5 is because after being awake and travelling for 22 hours we arrived at 9.30 am to be told we could not get into our room until 2pm. This was not particularly convenient so we then decided to go to the bar for a drink to cool down in the sweltering heat when we were advised you cannot get a beer on fully inclusive until 12pm. We were at the restaurant more as the buffet sometimes if busy there would be hardly any choice and it took quite a while for them to be refilled back up. The food was also sometimes cold as some hotel residents felt it too difficult to close the lids on the food. All eating establishments and the bar are all based outside and the humidity in Thailand increases in evenings there should at least be fixed fans at the bar to give a bit of relief from the heat. The bar staff above did help by getting fans but there was not enough for everyone at the bar. Somewhere to go to have a drink in air conditioning would have been welcome at times. The bar for such a large hotel was far too small as in the evenings it was impossible to get a drink comfortably before dinner. We ended up buying drinks in the supermarket across the road and having pre dinner drinks in the coolness of our room before going out to dinner (there's a fridge in the room). N.B. Beware of the 7/11 shop across the road. Check what they charge you as we caught them blatantly overcharging by 150 Bhat (not a lot but since the bill was only 610 bhat it works out to 25% of the bill so a large proportion). There is another 24hr supermarket just down the road which we used from then on and didn't have any other issues.

"Excellent!"
flyingirl, 06 Décembre 2015

We received a warm welcome and really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Only 25 mins from the airport. Nice clean room, good breakfast and set upon a very nice beach. This resort isn't too big so you're never far from reception or the restaurant.

"Staff are a highlight of this hotel. "
Shaun Lee B, 29 Novembre 2015

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay here. All the facilities you need for a great holiday are included. I stayed here for two weeks all inclusive and couldn't have been happy with it. It is a little out of the way of the big Phuket tourist attraction but all very easily accessible by taxi. The hotel also runs shuttle buses to Patong and Phuket town at very reasonable prices. The staff are exceptional from greeting in reception, food and beverages to the mains. Our maid was Ma, who could not be faulted are room was spotless everyday. Everybody should of course take precautions when it comes to their valuables but we had no reason to be fearful of damage or lost property; everyday we left out iPads, kindles, money etc (mainly because we were clumsy and forgot). The food and beverage staff are excellent and so friendly. We were mainly served by Nui in the restaurant, who was pleasant and helpful. Other staff who stood out where Mino, Pong, Cha, Ben, Edmond and Ya. However they were only the ones we came in contact with I'm pretty confident all service staff are just as great. The hotel is right on the beach which is not a busy beach. They can offer various water spots from the hotel, any they can't you will find by just walking on to the beach. Great location with a pharmacy and shop very close by. You also get a 200tbh discount at Phuket adventure mini golf, if you mention you are stay at the Best western! Heard a few people complain about sun loungers but we had no issue getting them, without having to reserve them.

"Great week away."
Rhino, 29 Novembre 2015

Great hotel by a fantastic beach with warm sea. The hotel was always clean and tidy, food ,there was plenty of choice of local and European. The staff were all lovelly and friendly especially Char and Edmond in the lobby bar.Would go again .

"Amazing!!"
Stacyrouse, 27 Novembre 2015

Just got back from an amazing 2 weeks at this hotel.. No complaints at all and will definitely be returning next year. The hotel itself is wonderful.. The photos really don't do it justice.. Really clean and well kept.. Our room was beautiful and cleaned very well by the maid.. Can't remember her name but we were in 3408.. Thank you again ?? The food was amazing.. And plenty of choice.. Nino at the restaurant was excellent, always smiling and going out of his way to make sure everybody is okay.. Excellent worker! Thanks for taking care of us Nino. The pools were beautiful, clean and well maintained. The hotel is in a great location not too far from anywhere and there is a shop across the road and plenty of ATMs.. Cha and Edmond at the lobby bar.. Excellent workers.. Never had to wait for a drink and soooo nice!! I would feel comfortable coming back to this hotel alone because the staff especially the ones I mentioned were exceptional in making my stay enjoyable and memorable.. Thanks to you all!! I will definitely be back next year ?? amazing hotel and exceptional staff! ?? see you next year! Thank you best western bangtao beach!

"God facility bad managed"
Per L, 25 Novembre 2015

The four of us stayed in two rooms at this hotel in the beginning of November 2015. The location is great and the hotel has a great potential to be rated higher however the negative parts did not go away. I read in the reviews before I booked the hotel about the hassle with the sunbeds where the management assured they do not allow anyone to reserve sunbeds before 09:30 and towels will be removed. At 08:30 all sunbeds were reserved and unless you want to start your holiday morning arguing with the staff, don't stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious but when we arrived we didn't have any cold water inte the shower. It was fixed 1 hour later. The following morning we didn't get any towels in the room after house keeping and it took three calls and few hours to solve. Again, you want a hassle free holiday and you should not be forced to push for things to happen. This hotel could be a super nice if it was managed in a better way. It is up to management to step up and improve the business.

"Lovely holiday"
Casawoolly, 23 Novembre 2015

Spent a week here from 6/11 to 13/11. We were travelling independently so had arrived by taxi about 10.30pm. The reception staff made us very welcome and gave us a drink as we arrived. We had booked two rooms and we were given an upgrade to two, two bedroomed garden rooms! The rooms were very spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Nice that they had a separate seating area inside as well as on the terrace. We had booked on a b&b basis. Breakfast was served over 4 hrs, so suited early risers and those who like a lie in. There was much to choose from too and suited all tastes. Both restaurants overlooked the beach. We ate in both restaurants in the evening but our best meals in the hotel were in the restaurant where you chose off the menu as opposed to it being a buffet. We never paid more than 2000 baht for three of us for two courses each and a couple of drinks each. This also included a tip. We found all the staff to be very efficient and extremely polite and friendly. We also used room service one night. From ordering it was delivered in 15 minutes and was lovely and again very reasonably priced. We did eat in the village and on the beach. Excellent meals at excellent prices. The one in the village which was our favourite was called The Bistro. They serve Thai and Western food. My daughter and I had massages in the gazebo on the beach which were amazing. Again very cheap. We did not opt for Thai massage however, as it looked a bit too physical! Drinks in the fridge in your rooms are reasonably priced, but there is a supermarket outside of the hotel which sells most things you may need. There is also a pharmacy there. There isn't really entertainment in the evenings in the hotel, but that didn't bother us. The hotel is in the village of Bangtao which has a number of bars and restaurants and shops, including massage shops, souvenir shops and Tour booking outlets. There are also bars and restaurants along the beach. Tuk tuks are available in the street outside the hotel and we used one to take us to the Monday evening market. Not sure how sturdy they are but great fun! We booked a couple of tours through an agency on the street in Bangtao called Mr John's. He was very good in helping us select the trips we wanted without forcing anything on us. He also gave us very good discounts. We did the Island tour on a speed boat including James Bond Island and the floating village as well as the Khao Lak Safari. Two excellent full day trips. We also went into Phuket on the hotel shuttle bus. We used the guy from the office at the bus stop to ferry us around. He charged us 200baht and was with us 3 1/2 hrs! Great afternoon. The only critiques I would make is regarding sun beds. There needs to be more, and also management need to look at preventing people reserving sun beds for long periods of time and not sitting on them Also cushions would be appreciated on the chairs on the terrace to make more comfortable. Loved our time here and just wished it had been longer. Thank you to all the staff x

"Very nice treat "
Andre W, 07 Novembre 2015

We enjoyed our visit here. Was brief, just as a luxury treat. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful resort. Excelent spacious room. Few shops close by. The beach is not wonderful but the resort is close to surin beach which is an excelent, 1,9km. We where very impressed with the resorts restaurant.

"A little bit of paradise"
ucrysj, 01 Novembre 2015

Stayed for 2 nights as a treat at the end of the weeks tripping around Thailand and Vietnam on a budget. What a great place to chill and relax, right on the beachfront, nice pool, good breakfast, helpful staff and a ginormous room! There is however, very little too do in the area, only around 5 bars for the evenings, and pretty much just the beach during the day, unless you book a trip out somewhere, although at the end of a long trip this was exactly what we wanted! There's a great bar about 5 mins away to with the best live singer and guitarist, all hand built by the owner! We'd go back here!

"A week on the beach - perfect end to a months tour of Thailand"
Ken_R_McLean, 26 Octobre 2015

We chose this hotel because of its location on the unspoilt Bangtao Beach - 6km of sand to walk bare-foot. We were not disappointed - our room was newly refurbished and the bed super comfortable. There are several pools to enjoy but our preference was a sun lounger in the shade of trees overlooking the beach. Breakfast was really something to look forward to - big selection and they had gluten free bread for my wife. The restaurant was good value and the food delicious and imaginative, for this reason we ate-in each evening although there are a range of other restaurants around. Minor observation if you enjoy an early morning run on the beach: (1) you will need trainers as this is a wild beach and overnight storms can bring in debris, (2) there are streams flowing into the sea to the north and south of the hotel so run distance is limited unless you take your shoes off! Better to use the well appointed gym in the hotel :)

"Fantasic hotel"
jbro17, 21 Septembre 2015

Stayed here for 2 nights in July with my partner and we are so glad we picked this hotel. The service from staff was exceptional and the rooms were lovely, bright and clean. The hotel was being renovated when we stayed so it was a tad noisy around the pool area. The food at the restaurant was brilliant we ate there for dinner both nights. The view from the beach is amazing as well. Overall, lovely hotel and very good value for money.

"Return Trip"
TomJermy, 15 Septembre 2015

"Brilliant hotel "
harriet1434, 13 Septembre 2015

24th August 2015 Absolutely brilliant hotel, so relaxing clean and friendly! Rooms are beautiful, the beach is directly onto the hotel. Really good food and a*room service ?? the only thing I can moan about is we go confused about our flights and was supposed to check out Thursday dinner but they let us stay till Friday without telling us! So we missed our flight ???? so keep checking flight details haha!

"Hotel of smiles in the land of smiles"
Carole W, 08 Septembre 2015

I was happy to return and sad to leave. My second month-long stay in this hotel. The location is just on the beach, and from the restaurant, you can watch the changing colours of the Ocean, hear the waves and enjoy a gentle breeze on your face. In the evening, marvel at the changing sunsets. The food is varied, fresh and high quality. All tastes are cateres for. The buffet breakfast is generous and sets you up for the day! Evening meals cater for all tastes, and the ambience is relaxing and enjoyable. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable . The ensuite has a large walk-in shower. When you want a break from the heat, just go to your room and blast the air-con! The lobby is spacious, with a business area if you need to work, although wi-fi is available throughout the hotel. I could go on...but what makes this hotel really special are the staff. They are not only courteous, welcoming and helpful, but I witnessed so many acts of kindness to the guests. Most of the staff were there last year also. I think that says a lot about the caring ethos of management. I will be back next year!

"Fabulous hotel with exceptional staff"
PeggyJane2015, 04 Septembre 2015

This hotel is exceptional. The rooms have just been refurbished and they are all beautiful, very large and comfortable, with great power showers. The hotel restaurant is right on the beach and the restaurant staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfasts evening meals were all delicious. This hotel is a real find - much better than some of the luxury hotels in Phuket that are much more expensive.
