Excellent service from front of house staff, food was delicious and general great style for a hotel in city central. In the end it all comes down to staff and they were very polite and professional. Will definitely stay again

« Wonderful city break, highly recommended. »

Wonderful, efficient reception, and we were shown up to the room quickly. Fresh flowers in the bathroom a lovely touch. Asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, when we replied it was my partner's 50th a complimentary bottle of French sparkling wine was sent up to our room. The chef's tasting plate on the grazing menu was excellent with it,in particular the fresh oysters, wagyu albondigas and the smoked venison. Everything felt personalized with a welcome card from the management. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, and the drinks list extensive and reasonable. I had the Moroccan inspired snapper with Pernod clams. Our package included a bottle of house wine and we were advised we could pay the difference to upgrade to a bottle of our choosing, which we happily did. We enjoyed breakfast the next morning also. Unfortunately the cinnamon waffles were completely lacking in any cinnamon aroma, but we still finished it after each having a hot breakfast with sides of mushrooms and hash browns which were crispy and delicious, despite my partner feeling she would not be able to eat any more. Wait staff were excellent throughout our stay. The bathroom in our suite was fabulous...sumptuous, and we enjoyed a few long soaks during our stay (not every room has a bath). Bathrobes and slippers were provided. Tapware allowed the kettle to be filled easily. We just loved our stay and the package was a super way to celebrate a special birthday. Highly recommended.

« Large group dinner booking »

Shocking service tonight people. From start to finish of this large group booking it was a travesty. They messed us about with the menu, limiting it more and more. Food was so average and to charge individual bill payers for no shows without prior warning is unacceptable. We will never return.

« Give the Terrace Hotel a try »

I often have business meetings, breakfast and lunch here as the location, table service levels and quality of food and coffee are superb. What is surprising is how quiet it always feels though. Inside and outside dining options, good value and in the Perth entertainment book too. Give it a go sometime as you don't get these service levels everywhere.

    « Wine dine stay! »

Ref:23855772 Very nice midweek stay. Restaurant food very good, big wine list! Service excellent throughout stay from all staff. Stayed in suite 1, four poster bed, heritage decorations. Bed very soft so may not be to everyones liking. Ipad to use during your stay and coffee machine. Short walk from train station or they have valet parking. Pretty quiet considering position.

« Great location, old but appealing property, good food and wines »

Just a 10 minute walk for us, we really enjoy the genteel pace and surroundings of the (top of the) Terrace Hotel. True sidewalk dining, semi courtyard or fully internal, the Terrace Hotel covers all the bases for all weathers and all moods. Have only had a few meals there, but last time with friends we all had the pasta of the day and from the first taste to the last this truly was 'special'. And mid $20s for a substantial sized bowl this was a delicious bargain. On top of that the beer drinkers all found a personal favourite tipple and again at a very competitive $11 a pint. To round out an enjoyable dinner and drinks the staff were up for a bit of cheeky repartee which is often lacking in busier places. This is our favourite place to relax and rarely is it too busy to be welcoming. Recommend you try!

    « Wonderful »

Stayed for one night midweek. Great location, pleasant and responsive staff. Efficient check in/check out. Lovely room; the cut roses in the bathroom were a bonus. Breakfast in bed was delicious. Will be back!

« Charming service providing hotel within walking distance of Kings Park and City Center »

Friendly and comitted concierge staff gave valuable advice to make our four days stay a success. Clean and well furnished rooms with good beds and spacious bathroom gave us a quiet and healthy sleep. Lunch Special every day for 25 AUS Dollar inclusive 1 glas of wine is competitive. Walking distance to Kings Park, City Center, Ferry Harbour and Bus Terminal ( 10 to 20 Minutes) .

    « Pleasant surprise »

I wasn't expecting much when I saw the name of this hotel on my travel itinerary. It wouldn't have been my first choice but the booking was out of my hands. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is part of a tastefully renovated heritage building which includes a bar and restaurant. The room I stayed in was decorated with antique furnishings complimented with some quality modern fittings. They had put some thought into everything in the room. The hotel is in a great spot at the end of St George's Terrace allowing easy access to the city and parklands on foot. Well done guys, I really enjoyed my stay.

    « Heritage suite »

We chose this property based on location and reviews and it didn't disappoint. Our heritage suite was very well presented and the amenities were top shelf. I would not recommend our suite if you can't use stairs. Like most heritage properties there are short stairs to get to your door. The bed and bedding were soooo comfy Definitely worth another visit if I'm in Perth

« Private, classy, classic and romantic »

Can't wait to return here! We planned to stay a night in Perth City, with the choice of so many fine hotels they began to look the same. The Terrace is a modern but classic and classy place with a personal comfortable touch. With such character and originality it stood out above the rest of our choices and we were not disappointed! Lovely service from all staff and they made us feel like we were the only ones in the building- personal and so very accommodating. Would recommend to anyone with guests coming to experience Perth for its history and unique experiences. Thank you Terrace Hotel, till our next visit!

    « Visit to Perth »

The hotel is a great location if you a doing business in the Central Business District. A short walk to the Exhibition centre, the bus station and the railway station. The hotel is very modern but quaint and the Indonesian lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful..

    « Lovely place »

Gorgeous accommodation in great spot. Had a Terrace Suite and it was enormous and luxurious. The black marble bathroom was one of the biggest and best we have ever seen. The welcome was professional and delightful with full attention to detail. The breakfast we had in our room was an extra touch of luxury and was perfect, the best eggs benedict ever. A great place to stay in Perth for a touch of luxury. Definitely will come back when in Perth.

« Show me the money! »

I knew as soon as I'd hit the button I'd made a terrible mistake. One of those awful ?booking' sites telling me I had one chance to secure the Terrace Hotel room at this incredible rate or lose out forever. (The saving off the regular room rate worked out to be about $30 at best) It was a non-refundable booking, with no changes allowed and gave the property the right to take full payment from my credit card whenever they liked. I made this booking in July 2017 for a stay at the Terrace Hotel in March 2018. I arrive at the Terrace on the 6 March 2018 and request to pay with my debit card rather than my credit card. ?Oh no, sorry, we took full payment from your credit card yesterday. Can I have your credit card? Please put in your pin number?' (It's not until I check my credit card balance later that I even realise they have put a pre-authorised payment of $100 onto my card. What the hell is this for?) I come down with a nasty head cold and end up checking out on the morning of 7 March 2018 instead of 8 March 2018 as I had originally booked. The concierge takes my key card as I explain I have to go home because I'm sick. She waves me off as an inconvenient interruption to the phone conversation she was in the middle of, without any paperwork or formal acknowledgement as her vacuous, ?Have a nice day, maam' follows me out the door as I lurch into another fit of sneezes. I call them on the 9 March 2018. My phone call is only answered after two earlier failed attempts. ?Can you explain to me why there is a $100 hold on my credit card?' ?That's required for any incidentals you may have used during your stay.' ?How would I have been advised about this before my stay?' ?The information would have been provided in your original confirmation email. It will take between 5-10 business days for the funds to be released back to your account.' In the fine print on the booking confirmation I find; ?You have now confirmed and guaranteed your reservation by credit card. The total price of the reservation may be charged at any time after booking. Please note that your credit card may be pre-authorised prior to your arrival.' The manager rings me a little later in the afternoon and I describe to him the circumstances of my early departure. As I hang up after getting him to agree to send me a confirmation email that I really had left the premises on the morning of 7 March 2018 I was really disappointed not to hear, ?let us refund you for the night you were unable to stay,' or perhaps a, ?here's a discount voucher for your next visit with us'.........nothing except; ?I hope you feel better soon.' I do feel better knowing my soon to be daughter in law's family, flying in from Malmo for the wedding will not be staying at the Terrace Hotel, as I had originally envisioned, as I have just booked the 25 of them into the gorgeous new accommodations at the recently re-opened Melbourne Hotel.

    « Hidden Pearl »

This stunning Heritage Hotel is a secret that is kept too well... The service ethic & attention to detail from management & reservations through to the restaurant, kitchen & bar staff is superlative... All the rooms are luxuriously appointed in period furniture with all the mod cons.. Very special thanks to Nick, Niall & Amanda Hoyne for a unique experience.. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone...

    « Character hotel in Perth's CBD »

We liked our stay here very much. This is a boutique hotel, with minimal staff, and it is quite small. But everything was well organised and the staff always friendly and helpful. The rooms were very well appointed, with large bathroom/shower, espresso machine, good linen, and more than adequate toiletries. Breakfast is at the attached restaurant, you get a voucher and order off the menu. Selection isn't huge but it is adequate. No buffet. Very good coffee. Personally would prefer more choice at breakfast and a more traditional hotel meal but it is truly not a huge issue.

« We were given a gift voucher for our stay and what a gift it was! »

We were in Suite 5 with a lovely sitting area and the softest bed and a roomy bathroom with all amenities. Double glazing shut out all traffic noise and we slept 10.5 hours!! after a very nice two course meal and wine. Although we intended seeing more of the city, we instead took our time enjoying the hotel facilities and breakfast - best Eggs Benedict ever. Highly recommended! The staff were excellent too.

    « What a gem of a hotel »

What a great find and a gem of a hotel. We decided to stay at the Terrace Hotel following a concert. We have stayed in a number of places in the city in the past but this was by far the best. Unique boutique hotel in the Perth CBD. A must stay if in Perth. Close to city centre, Elizabeth Quay and Kings Park. Would highly recommend. Booking reference 99322961

« Five nights at the Terrace Hotel- February 8-13, 2018 »

We stayed in room 3, on the second floor of this small boutique hotel. It was a nice room with a king size bed and a sitting area. The bathroom has a tub, an open shower, toilet and double sink. The staff was very pleasant and the hotel is well located. The TV provides minimal stations and most of the channels we had an interest in (like the olympics) were not available. The shower in the bathroom was a problem, it didn't drain properly and flooded the rest of the bathroom if we didn't use our towels to damn the water. Parking is a problem and I would not recommend this hotel if driving a car.

« Best hotel in town! »

From the moment we stepped into the Terrace Hotel, we were treated as welcome guests. Kimi at Reception was extremely helpful and polite. The room was large, clean, cool, inviting. The bed was oh so very comfortable. The bathroom, well, what can you say about floor to ceiling marble, a walk-in shower, beautiful fixtures and fittings throughout. Location was perfect, very central to shopping and Kings Park. Can't wait to have a reason to come back to Perth to stay here. Breakfast was top nosh, and the coffee was the best we've had here in Perth.

« Honeymoon in the City »

We recently stayed at the Terrace Hotel in January for 3 nights throughout our wedding. We stayed in the Terrace Suite - it was a beautiful room, plenty of room and perfect for everyone to get ready on the wedding day. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner on a few occasions and the food was amazing. The service we received during our stay was above and beyond. Definitely look forward to staying here again in the future. Booking ref no B5314223

« Boutique Hotel with history! »

Was a short stay, but extremely comfortable! I was greeted with excellent hospitality by the staff upon check-in. Loved that the hotel has history behind it, it has character with it's decor, the rooms are also sound proof as well so it provides you with a really peaceful sleep! Would recommend for something different to your bigger hotel chains.

« One of Perth's Finest Boutique Hotels »

From our first meeting with Gustavo (Reception check-in & valet parking) through our stay and right to check out, everything was absolutely wonderful. Had booked Heritage Suite for 2 nights, given upgrade to Terrace Suite No. 5. The Decor, bed, mattress, walk in shower in large marble bathroom, shower rose and deep separate bath, tv in both lounge and bedroom, toiletry amenities, tea bags, coffee capsules for machine, fresh milk daily were all perfect. One small concern was a lack of full length mirror in suite maybe the back of bathroom door in Suite 5 would be a suitable site to mount one. Some stains on the bolster on chaise-longe need addressing. On arrival, Gustavo showed us how all suite amenities worked e.g. tv's, air con, wi-fi and he was so friendly and helpful. On first arrival we inadvertently parked at other end of Mount Street so he had a long walk to retrieve car and luggage and nothing was too much trouble for him. Next morning he asked after the comfort of our room and showed a genuine interest in our opinion.Breakfast a la carte was lovely both mornings but would prefer the offer of cold milk when ordering English Breakfast tea ( not warm frothy milk). All staff were pleasant, helpful and professional throughout our stay and we would love to stay again. ( Review on Restaurant is not good - see Restaurant reviews) would never eat dinner here again.

    « CBD Delight »

Overnight stay which we do a couple of times a year 1st time at the terrace and was more than pleasantly surprised. Staff were excellent and when we got to the room the bathroom was stunning. Walking distance to the new Elizabeth quay and the older CBD with plenty of bars and restaurants. Would defiantly stay again.

« Pleasantly surprised by hospitality and helpfulness »

Was supposed to be here for 2 nights. Because off a hickup by the company had to stay another weekend (3 nights). The staff was well willing to help get another room to extend my stay. The food was more than excellent, and the dishes look perfect. The hotel itself is a beautifull building itself in the center off Perth. In walking distance off all popular places in Perth. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely book this hotel again next time I go to Perth!

    « 25th Wedding Anniversary »

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in a suite in this lovely little hotel. It is in a great location, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the staff were delightful. Very friendly & welcoming. The room was quiet with now noise from the busy street. Would highly recommend this hotel - much nicer than large impersonal chain hotels

« Lovely old building to look at »

We stayed in this lovely old building which has been modernised in a way which some people think old buildings should look. Black marble bathrooms with poor lighting is not what most people want of a bathroom and many people cannot get in or out of the free-standing bath.As with many old buildings the rooms are quite small, so don't visit hoping you can swing a cat! The staff are helpful and friendly.

    « Excellent Value »

This is a lovely boutique-style hotel and represents excellent value. It is located in a great part of the CBD, handy to all the attractions. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. And the restaurant food is exceptional. A little gem!

« A convenient stay in central Perth »

The Terrace Hotel is located at the heart of Perth. It is within walking distance to major tourist attractions, shopping arcades, restaurants and bars. Yet, we didn't feel crowded from staying in the downtown area. Although we only got to stay overnight at the Terrace Hotel before driving to the Margaret River, we found the place to be very well maintained. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful when we arrived for the check-in. The room is clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is big and has great design. We also had relaxing lunch and breakfast the following day at the hotel restaurant. We would recommend anyone who gets to visit to check out this hotel. We found the price to be reasonable for the service we received.

« Great location, staff with room for improvement »

Spent 3 nights in this so-called boutique- hotel. Housed in one of the few left heritage buildings of Central Perth the biggest plus of this hotel is its Location- Kings park, ferry jetty and main sights of Central Perth are within walking distance. Our disappointment started with check-in, when absolutely nobody of staff supported us with our lot of luggage Rooms are well furnished, but small, and windows cannot be opended. Quite a remarkable knowledge gap showed up, when we asked at the reception for recommendable top notch- restaurants . The restaurants were we ended up as following their recommendations were maximum average. There are a couple of Tamara de Lempicka- prints hanging around, but it needs more to be allowed to call oneself a boutique- hotel.

« Fabulous boutique hotel. A real treat. »

While we have previously dined and enjoyed drinks at the Terrace Hotel, this was our first stay at the hotel. We were not disappointed. Every aspect of this establishment is about customer service and comfort. From the warm welcome at reception, to the friendly bar and restaurant staff. We were always taken care of. The beautifully appointed room was comfortable and classy. Nice modern touches but with loads of warmth. Well located for restaurants, shopping and even Kings Park. This will be our hotel of choice while staying in Perth. Fantastic

« Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Perth »

This is an awesome boutique hotel housed in a heritage building in the heart of Perth. The hotel only has around 15 rooms, is immaculately presented and has lovely little touches that show attention to detail. Check in was a very personalised service at a small desk. The same lady escorted us to our rooms and showed us the media centre and other features in the room. Room service was prompt and order was taken beyond the cut off time for the lunches and beautifully presented when the order arrived to the room. Morning breakfast was a la carte and could be ordered at the restaurant or to the room. All in all, we had a lovely experience at this hotel. For me it was a great discovery in Perth and something very different to the mainstream 5 star hotels. I'd highly recommend it for business/luxury stays., cheers Jeelan

« Surprises all around in Suite #5 »

Scattered here and there among the tall office buildings of the new Perth are smaller older and quaint buildings dating back to when Perth was just a pre-industrialized mining town. The Terrace Hotel is one of such buildings located on a busy traffic corner. The building is surrounded by trees in a park like setting and if it wasn't for the tables and chairs on the front patio a traveler might mistake this cottage style architecture for a private residence. We learned that this structure was indeed a residence at one time - for the Anglican bishop of Perth. The trek to the reservation desk takes one back down a sidewalk to a small office with an executive desk and a couple of chairs facing this desk. Check-in occurs over said desk. The hotel interior spaces, though small, were grand with chandeliers, ornate staircases, a stunning bar and artwork throughout.. When we arrived at our room in the company of the on duty manager we first encountered a spacious and rather lavish living room with a fireplace and an ornate chaise. Power outlets were limited and a bit hard to find - travelers with more than one electronic device may wish to bring a multi-outlet charging adapter. The other furniture in the living room is in dark wood. There also is a very tall cabinet that housed the mini refrigerator, coffee maker and other mini bar treats. More about this a bit later. The next room was the bedroom. This room consists of the other side of the fireplace, a large wardrobe cabinet, a couple of end tables, a desk and a very large and very comfortable four poster bed. But wait ... the bath! Almost as large as the other two rooms - the bath is set in black marble with gilded fixtures and a very large and comfortable white tub. In the corner of the room right next to the commode is the shower. There are no partitions to the shower and the water runs right on to the floor and spills merrily where gravity takes it. Thus the floor was very slippery for me and upon taking a step during my first shower there I almost slipped and fell, and since there isn't anything to hang on to except the handle to the toilet which, as previously stated, is right next to the shower I had a very exciting and a bit scary first shower experience. I called down to the manager and requested a non-skid shower mat, and as there wasn't such a mat available several extra bath towels were brought up so I could stand on them during future showers. There are also paintings adorning the walls. Paintings of young ballerinas reclining or stretching and paintings of other young comely ladies in various modes of undress and relaxation. Now back to the very tall cabinet in the living room. The cabinet is so high that my wife had to climb up on a chair to retrieve the coffee maker in the mornings. Where was I to help? you might ask. Well it was morning and I am a late sleeper and my sweet wife didn't want to bother me. But the service - nothing short of excellent. For example, one morning we had reservations for a tour that was to depart before the restaurant opened for breakfast, and management arranged for us to have a breakfast tray consisting of pastries, juices, fruit and coffee sent up to us an hour before the main dining room opened. All through our stay we were greeted by smiles and a genuine feeling of friendliness by the staff. As we left the hotel for the last time the manager helped us with our luggage to our waiting car. We will always have fond memories of the Terrace Hotel in Perth. Our one recommendation would be for the property to invest in some non-skid shower mats.

    « Boutique Beauty »

After a 37-year career as a long-haul jet pilot I thought I knew hotels inside out. After all I had spent nearly a third of my working life in plush accommodation around the world. Then I discovered The Terrace Hotel. From the moment my wife and I checked in we were treated royally. Kimi, the desk clerk, is everything you would expect of a hostess. Charmingly attentive, friendly and accommodating, she accompanied us to our suite and pointed out its features. She wished us a happy anniversary as she departed and twenty minutes later a complimentary bottle of bubbly in an ice bucket was delivered to our room. The accompanying note wishing us a long and happy life together was appreciated every bit as much as the wine. Now. About the suite. Staying in it was like being at home ? only better! The four-poster king size bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The décor is eclectic ? while it may not appeal to all tastes there is something there to suit most guests. It is a refreshing change from the bland, antiseptic finish of contemporary hostelry. Breakfast was included in the room rate and the menu provides a range of tasty options guaranteed to satisfy the most finicky diner. I highly recommend The Terrace Hotel.

    « Lovely stay again »

We selected this hotel as we wanted a hotel very close to Perth Arena and have stayed here before. This boutique hotel specialises in good old fashioned service and is always a delight to stay. Beds are luxurious as are the bathrooms. Love the massive shower heads most rooms have a large bath. Even though we stayed in the room directly at the top of the stairs, the walls are so thick we did not hear a sound from the restaurant, so you can be assured of a quite night. Its the little touches... chocolates, iPad in room with free WIFI, pod coffee and newspaper at the door all makes for an excellent stay. When driving up to this hotel, the front facade is deceiving as there are clear plastic curtains which makes it hard to identify it is the right place. Parking is generally not included in the rate. There are Wilson carparks in Spring (side) Street and across road. Parking for checking in can be a bit difficult for this hotel as there is no parking directly out the front of hotel. If heading east to west along St Georges terrace, there is parking in front of the Commonwealth Bank (next door to The Terrace but it is metered), or the first parking bay in Spring street as you go around corner is a 5 minute non metered bay, although not always available.

« Friendly personalised approach that ticks all the boxes »

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I was made to feel welcome and the raison d'etre for their existence. No request was too small eg. I ordered room service at midnight and they threw in a bowl of fries because it had taken 20 mins! The rooms had a kitsch decor that I did not mind but more refined types may find a visual strain. More importantly they were comfortable with all the usual services you would expect. My only complaint would be the exorbitant prices on the minibar alcohol ($23 for a 200ml bottle and $55 for a half bottle is daylight robbery).

    « Another Excellent Stay »

Stayed here last year , said if we came back we would return to the Terrace , and we DID. Had a wonderful time during our two day stay. From the minute we checked in everyone was so pleasant and helpful towards us. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent , good choice and great service. We plan to return to Australia for a longer time , doing a RV tour, but will make time to have a meal at the Terrace. See you then!!!

« Good location for an event we went to close by. »

Disappointed with the service overall. Seemed very amateurish for a 'boutique' hotel. First our room wasn't ready for check-in until almost 3.00pm (check-in is 2.00pm). We tried to order room service, but reception didn't pick up the phone. After three attempts, I physically went downstairs to find someone to take our order. The next day by 4.00pm our room still wasn't made up, I had to request that it be done. And that night when we tried to get back into the hotel after our function finished (midnight), we were left outside for about 15 minutes, frantically making phone calls to reception because they didn't answer the door buzzer (the sign on the door says to ring the buzzer to be let in). The lighting in the room was very poor - like trying to do your make-up in a night club, and there was a small tear in our bottom sheet. We ordered toast for breakfast in the restaurant - the menu said it came with condiments. It didn't and was two tiny bits of underdone bread. Overall, we wish we'd booked a large chain hotel really. A pity.

« Extremely Poor Restaurant Service »

Heading back to Esperance and last night in Perth so thought might have a nice meal out. Terrace Hotel well rated apparently 5 Star!!!! Made a reservation all good. Arrived on time and front of house made us feel unwelcome. Anyway took us to a table by the store room. Understand this is Monday night 6:30pm only 1 other table of 2 in the restaurant. Offered us water which was great. 10 minutes later had to ask for the drinks menu. Ordered 2 cocktails, again understand not exactly busy here!!! Story gets better!!!! Another 10 minutes took our dinner order still no cocktails!!! I ordered a bottle of Henschke wine only to be told 5 minutes later no stock!!! Ho hum. Starters turn up STILL no cocktails!!! Revised wine order turns up STILL no cocktails!! Decide to eat starters and finally had to ask about cocktails!! Another 10 minutes and shahbang a miracle - cocktails. Something about having a dry martini between courses!!!! Not recommended but at least it gave the wine time to breathe!!! Sarcasm sorry. Mains turned up all placed in front of the wrong person ho hum. Sirloin tough and pork cutlet overcooked. All in all a 2 out of 10. We will NOT be back. Tab came to nearly $500.00 and absolutely no discussion/apology for the poor service and food. I reckon Ruth needs to go to a refresher on customer service extremely poor performance and I expect better. In fact doesn't matter next time I will go to Sushia Izakaya where they really know customer service!

    « Amazing »

The hotel was beautiful, the bed was so comfy pure luxury in its fit out very happy we will be back, the only down side was we had a share platter that was $36 it was minimal and not good value at all that was the only food we had there though.

« Zero understanding of customer service »

I had a function in the city during the week so I decided to stay in town overnight. I saw a good rate on Booking.com and emailed the hotel to see if they would match that rate, as I prefer to book with hotels direct. I had some argumentative return emails from the hotel challenging me about the existence of the rate, when I was looking at that rate on the screen at the time. A very distasteful and unsavoury response for them to actually doubt my word! At that point I decided to book in elsewhere. Shortly afterwards, a Nick from "guest relations" ( what a joke that is) called me on my mobile. He didn't call to offer a price match. He called to harass and berate me and insist that his colleague was correct! This harassing call was at 7 pm during my leisure time, after a busy day. I couldn't believe the crassness of this call. I told him I had no wish to converse with him, but he continued talking. As I hadn't initially caught his name, I asked it. He lied and said it was Simon! Bizarre behaviour. In his arrogance and deviousness, he had forgotten he also left a message on my landline, which is how I found out his real name. I have been to The Terrace for enjoyable lunches, dinners, and cocktails many times, so this appalling customer service was most disappointing. I booked in to another city hotel ( lovely) where the staff were both courteous and professional.

« Very well appointed room. Hotel close to all the action and remarkably helpful staff. »

Although we arrived after midnight (following a flight from the UK), we were made very welcome and delighted with our room/suite. The hotel is close to the heart of Perth and a short walk from Kings Park. Lots of restaurants and amenities close by. Being newcomers to the city/country we needed lots of advice and the staff, particularly the hotel manager, couldn't have been more helpful. delighted to recommend this charming establishment.

« Convenient spot on the terrace in central Perth for quick stopover. »

Loved the overall styling of the room, not as impersonal as bigger hotels. The jarrah bed frame, dark and stormy bathroom with roll top bath and rain head shower, tea station, comfortable mattress and great linens all deserve a mention. I believe the hotel upgraded me so I think the standard rooms would be rather cramped as this was pretty petite but functional. Bath water tap was not hot enough to fill the bath and retain its heat to be hot enough to really relax for any length of time, probably some nanny state requirement for health and safety, but annoying waste of a luxurious bath opportunity following a long haul flight.

    « Disappointed »

After seeing the gorgeous photos I booked this hotel through a booking website. I was looking for somewhere with a bit of luxury and a bathtub and I needed some time for me. All the photos showed the bathroom with a beautiful tub. When I was show to my room however there was no bath. I spoke to the client liaison manager who said that the room was one of two that did not have a bath as they were for disabled access. I pointed out that I had no disabilities and could they move me. Apparently not as the hotel was full. I was told several times that they took no responsibility as I'd booked through a third party. There was no offer of finding me an alternative hotel (the Parmelia Hilton was unable to help me but rang other hotels for me!) and I left feeling very disappointed. This was supposed to be a big treat for myself and ended up in total frustration as it took me two hours to find another hotel.

    « Excellent boutique hotel. »

We made a last minute decision to stay the night at the Terrace Hotel for our wedding anniversary. What a great find, attentive staff, very comfortable room an bathroom and a great restaurant with an impressive wine list. All topped off with a complementary bottle of sparkling in our room. Would certainly recommend and will return.

    « Great Feel »

Have lived in Perth all my life and spent a romantic weekend here with my partner. The moment you walk in the door, you are met by excellent service from the concienge and are made to feel right at home. Walking distance to everything including Kings Park and faultless service.

    « Unexpected luxury »

As I walked up to the entrance I thought that this was unlike any Best Western hotel I have ever stayed at before. Gustavo, who booked us in and took us up to the room was as efficient and pleasant and welcoming as any concierge I've ever met. The room was extremely well appointed and the bathroom was exceptional. The bed was very comfortable and the décor quite luxurious. Definitely first-class. The location, close to the CBD, is great because all the main attractions are within an easy walk and the free city circle bus is only a block away. Perth Mint is about 20 minutes and Kings Park is about ten minutes. The hotel restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is great.

« This may be the most under-rated hotel in Perth CBD »

Great service, fantastic restaurant and god location - not sure why i never heard of this hotel but I highly recommended it for a business stay. Rooms are enormous by Perth standards and the bathrooms are of the best I have had in a business hotel.

« Sub standard attempt at boutique »

This small hotel presents itself as a boutique option. It looks nice enough with black marble bathrooms and a fancy TV remote system, but fails on the details that make a really comfortable stay and are the hallmark of a thoughtful boutique experience. The hot water isn't all that hot. The teabags hadn't been replaced and it took two goes to get them delivered. There's a bathtub but no bath gel. The anti-slip strips that had been applied to the bathroom floor were peeling off. The carpets in the lift and entry ways badly needed vacuuming. They advertise a turn down service but that never eventuated. And if you have a car, there's no parking. I admit we should have checked that more thoroughly but the hotel said they had valet parking and I didn't check the price - it's at the parking station round the corner at a fixed cost of $5 an hour, even overnight, no discount for long stay. The staff were pleasant and the bed comfortable, and the hotel is quiet. It's located right in the city centre, a short walk from the Print building with all its great restaurants and bars, but is not as peaceful and leafy as it appears in the photo. The entire front area shown in the picture is now a restaurant with plastic wind sheeting around it. Really this place is just an old pub style hotel that has been tarted up in the hope of attracting business travellers looking for something other than the usual business hotel experience. At around $300 a night, this place was not worth it.

    « Anniversary Getaway »

Stayed at this lovely hotel to celebrate our recent anniversary. The room was beautiful, the bed really comfortable and the shower was awesome. Staff were welcoming and provided us with a complimentary bottle of sparkling to add to the occasion. Would highly recommend this as a great place to stay if you are wanting somewhere quiet and a bit out of the city but still close enough to walk to all the central bars and restaurants.

« First Class in all respects »

Arrived very late and it looked closed; however, someone was expecting us and took very good care of us. Only 15 rooms but they are very nice. The room itself is a decent size with a king. The wardrobe opens into two parts. The left is for storage and the right is a stunning bar with quality liquor. A totally unexpected sight. But it's the bathroom that ranks as the top attraction. Massive! Black tile on ceiling, floor, and walls. A free-standing bath tub in the centre and a shower (with no walls) next to it. The food we had was exceptional. The staff was top-of-class. Perfect location. Well done! Highly recommended.

    « Splendiforous. »

Fantastic service from the moment of arrival until checkout. The room was luxurious and the bathroom looked amazing (better lighting needed here though). We stay in Perth City regularly but did not visit all of our usual haunts as we were quite happy to have drinks on the terrace before a fabulous dinner and a final drink in the impressive back bar. A special mention to our waitress Catherine who served us with patience and humour. Highly recommended.

« Beautiful room and great location »

We booked a Terrace Suite for a weekend 'staycation' to celebrate our anniversary. Suite was beautiful! Lounge room, huge comfortable bed, huge bathroom and free-standing bath. The only disappointing thing was the operation of the TV. We are both reasonably tech-savvy but we found the I-Pad frustrating to operate and accessing and selecting a movie through Fox or Netflix drove us crazy. It wasn't intuitive and we almost gave up after an hour. Not being able to get out on to the balcony to have a drink was a little disappointing also but otherwise, a great boutique hotel in a great location and would definitely recommend to others and would stay again...but will take an IT person with me next time.

« Lovely hotel and first class customer service »

The rooms, restaurant and bar at this hotel are absolutely lovely. Quality fittings and elegance all around. Customer service is second to none. I won't stay anywhere else in Perth if there is a room available here.

    « Amazing staycation! »

Spent an incredible Sunday night in a Deluxe Room. Beautiful bathroom with huge bath (big enough for two!) and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in!!! Dinner downstairs was absolutely delicious and the extensive wine list made choosing just one bottle quite a challenge!!! Service throughout our stay was warm, friendly and personalised - would definitely recommend a night or two at The Terrace Hotel if you like reasonably priced luxury!

« Great hotel in central location »

Great hotel with old world charm. Friendly, helpful staff and good food. Highly recommended for business or personal travel. It is right across from the main buildings of the large mining and oil & gas companies in the area.

« Surprising Luxury - Very Good Value »

I moved here when my other hotel could not cope with my unexpected extension of my stay. I was pleasantly surprised. The price was lower and the amenities were better. Super comfortable room and amenities. Nice bathroom. Great mini-bar. Only down side was some outside noise of party people on the Friday night. One of the better hotel options in Perth, of which Perth needs more of.

« Why did I wait 4 years to come back! »

Amazing, once again my stay with my wife was fantastic. We stayed in a Premier suite which was fantastic. The staff are great and nothing is too hard. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning and it was spot on. Great location only a 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. I will be back. Reservation number 18371. Thank you!

    « Luxury and Comfort »

What a wonderful escape from my conference hotel room (near the elevator) to the Terrace. The spacious marble bathroom and the soaker tub made the whole experience luxurious. The King bed was cozy, the loaner iPad was a nice touch as was the milk frother ,espresso maker and custom blend teas in the room. The service was second to none. Breakfast in your room- no problem and no extra charges. The Terrace is a beautiful historic brick structure smack dab in the middle of high-rise Perth. Great central location just minutes walk from a beautiful park. The breakfast was included in my online booking and the a la carte menu had tasty choices and generous servings. The Terrace appears to be a popular business meeting spot for breakfast and lunch so there is a constant happy buzz of activity. However the rooms are an oasis for relaxation and make you feel like you are in a 5 star European Inn. This place is worth every penny.

    « 25th Anniversary Celebration »

My husband and I celebrated a wonderful experience with our family on our anniversary. I wanted somewhere nostalgic, intimate, excellent menu selections and where we could stay overnight. The Terrace ticketed all the boxes. The staff could not have been more accommodating and professional with the service we received from booking to leaving. There were many moments that my husband and I were astonished with the extra touches that made the stay delightful. Food and cocktail's were remarkable. Very enjoyable. Thank you Nick and Charmaine for your professional and personal attention. My celebration was more than I could have imagined.

« Still offering great tasting foods »

We visited on Sunday for dinner. The place is cosy and the service is great. Most importantly they are still offering great tasting foods. Off street parking available if you are driving. Love the chips and coffee costs only $3.

    « Old classic beauty »

Such a lovely place to stay. We found it better than the Treasury on Como because it was comfortable, real milk in the fridge and a newspaper at the door in the morning. Sensational breakfast and we wish we had have eaten at the restaurant at night but had a previous booking. Would highly recommend to everyone.

    « A nice hotel »

Though the room is not too big, it's comfortable. Nice and stylish decoration. The lady receptionist is helpful but a waiter at their restaurant is rude and impolite. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay there and will stay again if i go to Perth .

    « I love my stays! »

Whenever I come to Perth I always stay at the Terrace Hotel! Excellent service, the staff are attentive and friendly. Excellent food, and the wine list is top quality. The rooms and decor are quirky and fun while being luxurious. Parking is close by. I love my stays!

« Small, eclectic and personable »

Had 2 nights/days here on a little 'rejuvenation break' and loved it...great bed (yes an afternoon nap happened quite by accident it was so comfortable) and fantastic bathroom - a long deep tub and great pressure from the shower. Staff at all levels were accommodating, helpful and welcoming. The decor might not be to everyones taste but I loved it...quirky in some aspects but not jarring ...the dining room was intimate and sumptuous...lovely outlook from the window areas and further back the leather banquette seating was so comfortable. It was a delight to stay in a smaller hotel and have an a la carte breakfast menu...not a buffet for a change. I thought the individual pricing was very reasonable for breakfast menu although I had pre-paid breakfast...next time I probably wouldn't. My only negative was that trying to get dropped off was a bit of a nightmare -no designated spot available and had to do a couple of blocks to do so. Would definitely come back again.

« Quaint but not so good »

What's good 1. Location - top end of St George's Terrace near the miners and Kings Park 2. Upgrades - I was upgraded to a suite What's not so good 1. Decor - kitsch, rooms are oddly decorated, faux period furniture, odd art work, 2. room features - expensive TV but small screen and takes ages to work out how to activate, no shower screen in the bathroom so that the floor is flooded when you use to toilet, wardrobes too short to hang trousers in 3. offer of $10 credit on bar bills if you don't have room serviced! BUT you have to ask for a voucher to get the credit - doesn't come off your bill 4. food heavy and old style 5. bar seating is super uncomfortable

    « A delight for the senses »

As a Mother's Day gift I had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel last week. I've been past the hotel before, but never inside. I must say - it was FABULOUS. From the minute we arrived the staff were fantastic and the room was great. Especially the bathroom. All very luxurious and they've got the old new decor throughout. Very fancy. We had a few drinks in the bar with a lovely guitar player who sang all our favourite songs and the young barman was very friendly. The food was really good too, although not cheap. Somewhere around $50-$60 per head with a drink or so. All round a great experience, I'm hoping next Mother's Day comes around soon so we can stay again.

    « Great spot for a "staycation" »

We had a lovely dinner and stay at The Terrace Hotel last weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival we found a nice personal note, a bottle of wine and some delicious chocolates in our room. Staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful, great menu and wine selection. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return

« One of my favourites »

We have now stayed at The Terrace 5 times over a couple of years. It is a treat worth investing in for its quirkiness and boutique nature. The staff are attentive and punctual, the beds are fantastic and the rooms are well.... roomy. The breakfast is below the standard of the rest of the place but still enjoyable. There's a really great bar downstairs as well. Highly recommended

    « Superb »

Stayed at this hotel last minute to take my wife away for her birthday. From first to last could not fault it. The little touches were the thing. Not requested but Bubbly, compliments of the management in the room. Proper milk in the fridge. The room was as described and staff were lovely. Definitely be back.

« Wanted to stay longer »

Sadly only stayed 1 night during a business trip to Perth (ref: 625262242) If you are looking for an intimate, luxurious get away in the middle of Perth with very friendly, helpful staff, this is the place for you. It's old world charm will not be for everyone but who really wants to stay in a sterile "dog box".

« Great hotel, great location »

This is a small hotel and the fact that it is part of the Best Western Chain is misleading. It is really a luxury hotel with a beautiful stone and brick exterior. We stayed 3 days at a special rate and then extended our stay at the same rate. The people at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. The room was large and well appointed with European style artwork. For example, the shades were painted and we had a beautiful painting in the room. The bathroom was incredible with dark marble walls, a giant white tub, a large shower head, and really great toiletries. I would say this was the most outstanding hotel room of our 5 week trip. This was despite the fact that there was no view. The hotel is central, within walking distance to most places of interest. The free city bus is one block away.

    5
    « Absolutely Stunning »

We stayed here on our wedding night and it was absolutely stunning. Upon entering, the receptionist greeted us with a welcoming smile and once we checked in she showed us up to our room and explained how to use the TV. The room was quaint and beautiful, but the best room was definitely the bathroom. The bath was big enough for both of us to lay in and was extremely relaxing. The bed was a king sized bed and extremely comfortable, although a little too soft for my husband. We ordered dinner as well as breakfast and I can't fault the food. Every staff member we passed greeted us with a smile and a hello. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to everyone.

    « Boutique with Charm! »

The Terrace is a hotel with charm and character. Nicely situated in the Perth's business district. The overall service, starting with housekeeping, is superb. The amenities in the room are top shelf. I was impressed to find a yoga mat in the room. Incidentally, where can I get the yoga mat? It is the best travel mat I have seen. WGH

    5
    « Quiet and luxurious »

My wife and I debated whether the price of the room ($300 per night) was worth the money. Here are a few reasons why we decided that it was; The bath room has a huge rain head shower and a stand alone bath which is deep and big enough to have a long soak. The bathroom is large and very clean and for a hotel room is really nice. The bed is King size and so comfortable that's it better than our bed at home. The TV is quite small but has Foxtel and as Apple TV so if youre staying in there is plenty to watch. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the Hotel was quiet. There is a Wilson car park or street parking close by or valet parking if required. Overall it was the little luxurious touches that we decided made it a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend to other travellers.

« A classic hotel right in the business district. Definitely one of the best hotels we've stayed in anywhere. »

We are staying at the Terrace for 8 nights until 13 April. We have only been here for three days but can't wait to write a review because this hotel is like a dream come true for us. The staff are very attentive, very service minded - right from the moment I started writing to them prior to the trip. All the preparation had been made according to our requirements. The location of the hotel is more than perfect. The establishment itself carries such a classic look (too bad the front side has to be covered due to the rain I guess) and the room (with the oversized bathroom) is very large and comfortable. The food is fantastic.

    « We'll be back »

Walking on St George's Terrace looking for a new place to try and an acoustic guitar player sucked us in. He was playing music out the front of the Terrace Hotel. We ended up staying for drinks that turned into dinner once we experienced it all. The service here is by far better than most in Perth. The staff were friendly and always present. The food was good, we had steak, lamb salads, but not what you'd call cheap. But considering the good service and free live entertainment and the flashy environment the price seems less important. The inside decor is very classy. We'll be back for sure and hopefully catch some more acoustic music and some quality food and service. Great place.

    « 26 November »

We had a very plesant stay. Hotel and facilities are great. Comfortable bed. Luxurious bathroom. Excellent food. Two complaints though, firstly the music was loud and very loud in our bedroom and didn't finish until midnight. Secondly the toilet paper was of a poor quality. Seems trivial, but for a great hotel this wasn't expected.

    « Business Trip »

First at this Hotel. Booked it on booking.com what a nice hotel and I've stayed at plenty of different hotels in Perth. It has that old world charm. The room was very spacious, bed and pillows were very comfortable. The Hotel has a good bar and Restaurant. Good location, price was about what a 4-5 Star should be. I wi stay here again on my next visit. Staff was very friendly, they.offer valet parking and parking is hard to find.

« Great hotel with a mix of old and modern »

We stayed one night for our wedding anniversary. The room was lovely and the king bed was awesome. Excellent facilities - huge bathroom and all mod cons in the room such as apple TV and coffee maker in the room. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Highly recommended.

« Well located for visiting city »

Stayed here for 2 nights. Was good value for a city centre hotel. Comfortable room with good facilities. Very convenient for the red route bus for sight seeing. Breakfasts in the restaurant are very expensive - all at a la carte prices (if you have breakfast included in the room rate that gives $30 towards it but you have to pay if you spend more which could easily be done). Instead, recommend the ExpressoBar in the ground floor of the tower bloack at the next corner heading eastwards.

    5
« Great boutique hotel, perfect location, good service »

Although I've eaten at the restaurant many times over the years, I've never before stayed at the hotel. Beautifully finished room, gorgeous! Not like what you expect from a chain (Hilton, Sheraton, etc.). Hotel staff were very accommodating. Only criticism I can offer is the restaurant. The space is gorgeous, and the service is good (for Perth), but the quality of the food has deteriorated since they first opened. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

    4
« Well positioned for East Midlands Airport »

This is a nice hotel which is well positioned for East Midlands Airport which is why we booked the hotel for our recent holiday. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated and the staff very helpful. There is a nice restaurant and bar which forms part of the hotel complex. All in all a nice hotel.

« Nice little boutique hotel »

Our first time in Perth for a short visit. Didn't know where to stay. Read the reviews and decided on the Terrace hotel. Turned out to be a good decision. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was adequate with great amenities. Large bathroom and very clean. It was centrally located at the CBD and that means we can just walk to restaurants and shopping. Definitely will come back when we are next in Perth.

    5
    « A treat »

Excellent friendly service - from all staff in the hotel and the outstanding restaurant. Luxurious accommodation with attention to detail. It is great to stay in a hotel that is individual rather than bland, and the big bath was a treat. Despite being so central and on a busy street, the double glazed windows ensure the room is extremely quiet. We wanted to book in again on our return to Perth, but it is popular and was booked out well in advance. 16582 (Booking reference)

    « Unusual boutique »

If you're looking for a high-end small boutique hotel, you could do worse than this. The huge bathroom was definitely the highlight with a gorgeous bath (just no bubbles to put in it, sadly). The decor is elegant and it all feels very premium. Having just 15 rooms makes it feel exclusive too - no huge hotel reception and vast lobbies. It's quirky and interesting and the staff were very welcoming and helpful with local tips and directions. It's a 10 min walk to the Botanical gardens - albeit up a hike of a hill (fine if you're fit and healthy) and there's plenty of life around it once the sun's set.

« Lovely Boutique Hotel Walking Distance to the City and Kings Park »

From the moment I stepped in the door I felt special. The concierge is lovely, offering a drink, chatting about the place ( he has been there since it was re-developed). I was upgraded just because. The room was beautiful with a spectacular bath-tub that just begged to be used (and I don't even like having a bath!). It is a great spot- a quick walk up the road and you are in King's Park and a walk the other direction and you are in the heart of the shops. I will definitely be back

« Lovely stay in heart of Perth »

I stayed here for four nights from 31st October, I checked out today (2/11/16) My stay started on a positive note. The entrance to the hotel isn't clearly market so I mistakenly entered via the restaurant next to the hotel entrance. One of the bar staff saw me struggling with my bags & swiftly took my bags and guided me to reception, a good start to my stay. I forgot to ask his name & meant to provide positive feedback. Positives: Gustavo & Riina were both lovely & nothing was too much trouble. I ordered food a couple of times from ubereats which was delivered to reception. I intended to collect but before I could, Gustavo kindly brought to my room without me asking. All staff I encountered were very friendly and positive. I needed a document printed & scanned, Riina did this quickly even though I could see she was busy & I told here there was no rush I received it within minutes of asking. There are PC's for guests to use in business centre as well as complimentary iPads in the guest rooms. The bath was lovely, nice and deep and the rain shower had great pressure. Large flat screen Tv with all Foxtel channels. I had breakfast included and I was able to eat in my room if desired, a nice touch. Most hotels charge extra to have food delivered to your room but not The Terrace. My room, number 2, although facing busy St George's terrace was quiet. I am a light sleeper and I slept well. Negatives: the bathroom was very dark even with lights on I found I had to apply my makeup in the living room. The bathroom was a good size just a but dark, it did have a makeup mirror but even lit up was still dim. The menu. The food was delicious but I'm a vegetarian and there was very little vegetarian options. Hardly any veggie options at all. However the food I did have was yummy. The breakfasts were delicious & even decorated with edible flowers, very nice. I would definitely stay here again & highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely little hotel with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Good location near Kings Park and a short walk from the main jetty. With only 15 rooms this hotel has a lot of character.

    « Beautiful Lady »

Stayed at this hotel for two nights (14th and 15th Oct) recently for a very special wedding anniversary and it was amazing. It's a beautiful old building (let's call her the Lady!) and the staff, the service, the quality, the fantastic wine and liquor selection, the room, the décor etc were all equal to what you can expect from fine hotels in Sydney and Tassie. Definitely the "Bestern in the Western" and I hope to be back soon. Special mention to two excellent staff members, Thea and can't ever forget the barman from Berkshire!

    « Not very restful »

We spent a couple of nights here after a long flight from the UK. Our room, Suite 3, was interesting if not wildly practical with a small opaque window which, as we discovered, appeared to overlook the staff smoking area. Bathroom was huge and baroque - but again not very practical with a wet-room style shower where the water discharged under the bath to flood the area in front of the loo. Our major problem was noise - from the kitchen vent which was attached to the bedroom wall which thrummed non-stop (although after we complained it did appear to be switched off the 2nd night), to what appeared to be an A/C unit gushing loudly every 30 minutes or so, to door banging late at night and early in the morning. This was a real pity because the bed was sublimely comfortable. Food was okay, if not particularly memorable. Our a la carte breakfast was good if expensive, but the venue is clearly very popular if the number of non-residents was anything to go by. Service throughout, however, was polished but friendly. Our rate, excluding breakfast, pre-paid 6 months in advance, was over $300 per night - somewhat toppy, I thought.

« Mixed feelings... but generally good »

First stay at the Terrace despite staying in Perth plenty of times, and it wasnt as expected. Got a deluxe room for $270 inc breakfast which was pretty good that night. Add in $49 for a nights valet parking though. The hotel portion of the Terrace looks a little run down with a tiny lobby filled with leaflets, strange corridor leading to a lift, where the whole vibe felt like staying at a pub rather than a 5 star hotel. The room is newish, but styled in an old fashioned way. Not particularly to my taste but ok for a night. Massive bathroom that would appeal to many. Two tiny windows with no view despite staying in a deluxe room, tiny desk area and no table for room service meal. No complimentary water in room (although my colleague had some in their room). Massive soft bed that made up for all the low points with a super soft excellent sleep! Also enjoyed a really good breakfast. Overall its a convenient location for Perth CBD, comfortable for a night and reasonable price. Its not 5 star and cannot compete with hotels like Como, Richardson etc, but if you can get it for about $200 its better than many of the 3/4 stars nearby.

« Great boutique hotel at the end of the Terrace »

Stayed 2 nights and loved the room. Breakfast was massive and could easily be shared. There are only a few rooms as it is a heritage listed building. Had dinner in the restaurant and found both food and service good. Parking for a weekend stay is an issue if you do not do valet, which is quite expensive. Taxi or uber would be a better option if possible. Great place to stay for events at the convention centre.

« Amazing service in a beautiful boutique hotel »

We had our wedding at the Terrace Hotel, and the hotel team made our stay so special, enjoyable and a one of a kind experience. Right from the beginning Charmaine helped us plan and organise our reception; and even arranged a last minute wedding cake for us on the night!! We stayed in a suite, and the rooms were boutique, beautiful, comfortable, homely while being spacious. All staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, and made our wedding a truly amazing experience. We will most certainly stay at the Terrace Hotel again and will be recommending them.

Great place to celebrate our anniversary. So nice to stay in a hotel that is unique and not a nondescript chain hotel! Rooms are beautiful- we had a suite- furniture and lights and art work all add to the character of the hotel. The bathroom also lovely with a free standing bath. Restaurant downstairs was 5 star and we enjoyed our meal & had a drink at the bar. Staff very nice - I would recommend getting the valet parking for $49 as it would cost more than that to park overnight in a city car park. Highly recommend for a romantic night away! « Gorgeous little Gem! »

I recently stayed at the Terrace Hotel...I was initially booked into another hotel but after a colleague suggested we meet at The Terrace for lunch, I saw the reviews online and on their site and booked straight away. So many amazing things to say about this hotel (and I'm super fussy!)...Outstanding service, gorgeous clean rooms and huge bath, beautiful restaurant and best of all in a great location. The price was incredibly reasonable, especially for Perth CBD. What I loved most about it was it didn't feel like your standard 'chain' property but more like a Boutique style hotel. I was travelling for business and this felt like a home away from home. I will be travelling to Perth regularly and I will most definitely be returning here. I've also highly recommended the property to my colleagues. Looking forward to staying again soon!

« Favourite Business Stay in Perth »

I stay in Perth two to four times a month and the Terrace Hotel is my preference every time. The rooms are super quiet and the beds are amazingly comfortable. It also has a full Foxtel iQ box instead so you don't miss out of your favorite shows. It is nice and close to the business hub in the city. It costs a little bit more than the Hilton around the corner but well worth it in terms of room quality and comfort.

« brilliant staff, lovely room »

Our booked accommodation was dire so booked into Terrace Hotel and the staff sorted us with great attention and all hotel aspects were good. We really enjoyed our 5 nights here and would book again if travelling to Perth.

    « A lovely night »

On Sunday night we stayed at the Terrace Hotel and enjoyed dinner there. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. The room was upgraded to a suite which we really appreciated. We were also given a complimentary bottle of wine as it was our anniversary. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. We were a bit put off by some of the nude artwork, but maybe it was just our taste. Our dinner was delicious, as was breakfast. We would definitely return for another stay. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

« Not horrible but not as expected »

This property is like an old bed and breakfast, which is certainly not how they portray themselves on their web site. The check-in was efficient. The room was clean but the furnishings and carpet are a bit tired and shabby. It is very noisy, especially as they had functions in the dining room that went on very late at night and then vacuumed at 5am the next morning. If you decided to stay here, definitely check whether they are hosting any parties. We were happy that we had planned an all day excursion while we were there.

    « Outstanding »

This hotel set near the centre of the city is fantastic. The location is great with some beautiful gardens just outside the back door and a short uphill walk to Kings Park. The room was attractively decorated and the bed really comfortable. The food was excellent and their everyday $3 coffee is very tasty. The staff were courteous and friendly as well as helpful and unobtrusive. The part of the hotel where we stayed was colonial in style and tastefully decorated. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed.

    « Value proposition »

I would actually rate this hotel a 3.5. The staff are very friendly and try to be helpful. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows superb. The issue was the price point which is the same as The COMO where we also stayed and is closer to a 5. (Review to follow.) The room was small and dark and the furnishings are dated and a little strange, depending on your taste. (The bathroom shower isn't enclosed and water goes everywhere.) That said, if the quirky, old style hotel appeals, then this hotel would be excellent.

    « Amazing place! »

Located in a beautiful listed building, right in the heart of the city on St Georges Terrace. Easy access to all mayor attractions, within walking distance from Kings Park, Elizabeth Quay and the Bell Tower. Absolutely amazing staff at the reception: very helpful, well informed, made me feel very welcome on my arrival. The room was also 1st class: beautiful bathroom with large bath tub and a separate shower, super comfy bed and high tech telly with large channel selection. Additionally a great restaurant and a bar on-site. Perfect place!

« Dinner with great service »

We have been to the Terrace Hotel on several occasions for meals (not for accomodation) and always found the service and staff fantastic. I've been to a high tea afternoon, a shared platter & cocktails night and tonight, a dinner for 4. On each occasion the staff have been very friendly and the food plentiful & tasty!

    « Great boutique hotel »

Great little heritage listed hotel. The staff are fantastic. There is a small well stocked bar and a good restaurant with a nice outdoor dining area. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with a fantastic deep bath. There is no onsite parking. May be stressful trying to arrive at the hotel during busy traffic times.

    « Disappointed »

I had done extensive research on Perth hotels and had rejected all the famous chains like Pan pacific etc who had great tripadvisor scores at cheaper prices. I had wrongly believed that The Terrace would be a nice luxurious boutique hotel but it is not. Alas, it is more like a high end motel than hotel. Sadly, I was disappointed even though paying more than $300 a nite. Ameneties are passable and basic. Service is ok, they try but they are short-handed. Overall a disappointment!

    « Fantastic »

What a great stay. I've been to the bar and restaurant here many times but this was my first weekend stay. I'm glad I did. The suites are amazing. Very spacious, tastefully furnished in period but with all the mod cons. Staff were very attentive and efficient. I had a wonderfully relaxing stay.

    « Excellent Hotel »

Stayed here a couple of nights with my wife . The room was luxurious in every aspect , clean ,comfortable , modern and one of the best. All the staff were very helpful in making sure our stay had no issues. Breakfast was superb , all you could wish for . We had evening meal one night , again excellent food and service. Could not fault anything , well done to all staff. We would return if ever in the area again.

« Nice venue for a cosy dinner »

You can tell when a restaurant is good value when, after you have dined there with a coupon, you rate it worth a return visit at the full price. Such was our experience at the restaurant of the Terrace Hotel. It was a cold, and blustery night when we made our way there for a family celebration. We were quickly seated (inside although there were heaters to warm those sitting al fresco) and water served. Our waitperson returned with menus and gave us enough time to look it over before returning for our orders. It offered a good selection of meals and included gluten free options. The baked camembert was terrific as was the fish and crab cakes. The latter can easily be over-seasoned but this was nicely done. For mains we had the pork belly, lamb shank and duck confit. No complaints from any of us; flavour and seasoning were deftly done and the meats tender and m For dessert we opted to share a plate of three desserts. Apart from being too full to have individual portions, this represented good value and gave us the opportunity to try the apple and rhubarb crumble, the orange cake, and several ice cream flavours including a delicious green tea brulee. The two course meal, dessert was extra, came with a glass of red or white. The white was nice and crisp and the red was more than decent.

    « Beautiful evening »

We experienced great ambience, food and staff when dining at the Terrace Hotel. It was mid week so we managed to obtain on street parking 5 minutes away. Now the food! There were quite a few vegetarian options for my partner. We both chose as a starter mini Camembert cheese with a fig jus and we couldn't fault it. Presentation was very creative. My partner had a pumpkin salad with lots of exciting goodies in it and enjoyed it. I had the slow roasted Tuscan lamb shanks with polenta and French beans - hearty and warming on a cold, wet evening. We both had desserts of rhubarb crumble and sticky date pudding. Really recommend this restaurant to locals as well as visiting business people or people on holiday.

« An oasis of character, charm & service in the heart of Perth »

If you want to experience a character filled boutique hotel with excellent service in Perth then stay here. From the get go the service staff were excellent. Great service in an unobtrusive yet effective manner. Great service all round - well done to the service manager. The building is heritage listed and the renovation has showcased his history - a rare thing in WA. The deluxe room was excellent. Great king sized bed. Open marble tiled bathroom. Responsive room service. Look I think everyone should enjoy a decadent weekend away in Perth in this hotel it was exceptional. I will be going back. Well done to all the staff. Currently staying the hotel room 12 and must say it is always a pleasure to stay here, the bathroom is the best around , along with the comfortable bed , the omelet for breakfast was very nice . « Beautiful hotel with Old World charm »

I can best describe The Terrace as a boutique hotel with old world charm. It only has 15 rooms. There were only 2 rooms on our floor, very quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable. The bed was a luxurious KIng size with down pillows and doona. There was even a doona under the bottom sheet for extra softness!. The bathroom has a modern feel, with marble floor and walls with rainshower and a separate big bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very early checkout (4.30am) but that was no problem for them to organise some breakfast the night before. There was a bar downstairs that always seemed to be full, but we heard no noise at all in our room. Each morning our room would be made up whilst we were having breakfast. I would certainly recommend this hotel to couples travelling to Perth.

« Working towards near perfection »

Thoroughly enjoyable 2 nights, breakfast included. Very comfortable, nice staff. Cosy during heavy rain confinement. Excellent variety of wines by the glass. Generous, quality breakfast, but slow service on the Saturday. Far preferable to Parmelia Hilton nearby which used to be gracious. No reply to stay questionnaire personally handed in.

    « Sunday Lunch »

My wife and I enjoyed a marvellous lunch yesterday at The Terrace Hotel in St.Georges Terrace. It was nice to discover a little bit of history amongst the modern high rise office blocks on The Terrace. We shared a tasting plate for entree which included veal and chicken paupiette, the best crab cake I've ever tasted, natural oysters and shots of the soup of the day which was cream of cauliflower. We also had a selection of French breads (4) served with olive oil and balsamic, and dukkah. For $9 I thought that was exceptional value. For mains my wife had the fish of the day, a lovely fillet of Baramundi served with tea smoked prawns and asparagus. I went for the Angus Beef Fillet with broccolini. Both dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. To finish we shared the apple and rhubarb crumble served with an amazing and, very innovative chocolate and cardamom ice cream. What also merits a mention is the restaurant's very extensive wine list which included many wines served by the glass. This was a bonus for me as my wife does not drink alcohol. My wife and I dine out regularly in Perth; what impressed us about The Terrace restaurant was the high level of attentive service from the staff. Steeve Maugy, the maitre "d" on the day was very impressive. It was a joy to be asked a few minutes after both the entree and main was served ....."is everything alright sir ?" How many times do you go into so called top restaurants where staff do not appear to be in the least bit interested as to whether you enjoy the food or not ? To sum up, our lunch at The Terrace Hotel was a meal experience to savour and remember. We even took a look at a couple of the bedrooms; there is only 15 of varying categories; truly a "boutique" hotel. A venue well worth getting acquainted with; highly recommended. (INV.83508)

    « A lovely boutique hotel »

Everything about this hotel was perfect. The location is just 10 minutes walk to Kings Park, 20 minutes to the museum complex. The rooms are immaculate, the hotel beautifully decorated with lovely art work, and the restaurant has one of the best wine lists I have seen. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the price of the room which included breakfast valued at $30 per person was incredibly good value. I can't fault this place!

« Classic, beautifully appointed and so cosy »

This is the second time we have stayed here. The first was on our wedding night! Both times we had great experiences. This hotel is beautifully appointed in a handsome, old, restored building at the top of Perth's CBD. A short walk to the great views of Kings Park. Room, service and food were all wonderful. We can't wait to stay again.

« Over night Stay in Perth's centre »

We stayed a night at this lovely Hotel having booked a private dining room for a family celebration for 19 people. The booking was seamless and the staff offered a warm welcome on our arrival even allowing us to check in a little earlier to allow us to change for the function. The catering for our long lunch was superb and everything went without a hitch. At the conclusion of the luncheon we enjoyed free entertainment in the front garden bar with a fabulous trio performing latin/jazz music. To cap off a wonderful day the Hotel surprised us with a bottle of bubbly on ice when we returned to our room.

« Faultless Stay at Beautifully Restored Hotel »

I booked the Premier Suite for my partner's 30th birthday and we were blown away by not only the accommodation but the staff, service and food and beverage options. We were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in a beautifully restored hotel room which was so warm and welcoming amongst the stormy weather outside. The spacious bathroom and comfortable bedroom coupled with the large living area made leaving the hotel room a daunting task. The staff at The Terrace Hotel were all friendly and knowledgeable of the food and beverage services on offer. This was a faultless stay - we will definitely be back!

« Boutique hotel wonderful service old world »

Business trip. The hotel is hard to find and being on St Georges Terrace has no outside parking. There are only 15 rooms. If you like art Deco you will love the hotel. The best thing if this hotel are the staff. Totally client centric. The good. Free WiFi. Room large and bathroom modern. Valet parking provided The disappointing. No gym facility. The TV is stuck on a side wall. The breakfast was awful and expensive. The breakfast was a let down. The coffee was cold I had scrambled eggs and mushrooms and avo . The plate arrived swimming in butter. Cost $28.pity would have given hotel ?? a higher rating if not for awful breakfast.

    « Boutique heaven »

We expected more of a 'chanin fee' as it was a best western but were happily surprised that this had a more 'boutique feel' to the place. Little touches like apple tv and coffee machine really added to the quality of the rooms. The rooms themselves had high quality furnishings throughout. The bathtub in our room was lovely and relaxing

    « Unique Hotel »

We found the staff very helpful from the moment we arrived. As we entered the main entrance dragging our bags a staff member escorted us around to a side door that had us arrive directly in front of the reception desk, saving us from traipsing through the restaurant and rabbit warren of hallways. The receptionist then took us to our room showing us how to get to the bar and restaurant as we went. Our room was lovely with a wet room style bathroom which we had seen before so was not such a surprise as it seems to have been to other reviewers. I had a wonderful deep hot bath. We slept very well on a lovely comfortable bed. The only disappointment was that we couldn't get the TV to work. Not a major as we needed our sleep as we had a very early start. We only had 20 minutes for breakfast as we were being picked at 6:50 am and the restaurant opened at 6:30am. Our Muesli and coffee arrived promptly giving us time to eat and enjoy. We would love to stay again one day and hope this beautiful building is protected for years to come.

    « Unprofessional, forced, Lied. »

I booked this hotel at 9 am at 9.35 am I rang to organise parking. Reception said the confirmation had not arrived from website , no problems that sometimes happens. Arrived at 1.46 pm reception said it had still had not arrive, Guest Manager was at desk, I showed him the voucher on my laptop which clearly states it was for their hotel he said "No problems I will honour the room rate and breakfast voucher it will be 99% fine". We even came back between wedding, reception to check we received the same answer from GM. Went down to breakfast on Sunday at around 9.35 am (breakfast service was very slow, food cold). My Husband went to organise our car, he came back with a voucher for a hotel in Canada. Went down to book out and receptionist proceeded to tell us we were now liable for full rate he also twice told me I had made a mistake. He did not show us our account, nor did we authorise for him to put it through our credit card. We at this point felt forced and lied to by the GM and the receptionist who showed us no professional standard. After leaving we found that he had charged us for our breakfast so my husband went back, again he wasn't interested. I phoned the GM on Monday and put it too him " did you know before our having breakfast that you would not honour the voucher, Hotel have credited our breakfast. I have since found out that it was a website malfunction and the website have been amazing, professional, quick with their responses and have cared to care.

« Boutique Hotel with very good customer service »

Recently enjoyed a Saturday night stay at the Terrace Hotel to celebrate my birthday. Rooms were tasteful and the bathroom was amazing with a beautiful free standing bath. Coffee was very good and at $3 a cup a bargain for the Perth CBD. We dined at the restaurant and my husbands beef was perfectly cooked, my fish was disappointingly overdone. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately our stay was let down by the excessive music from an event next, door which blared till mid-night. Apart from the noise a great experience.

    « Gorgeous Boutique Hotel »

We only stayed here for one night, but it is a lovely boutique heritage hotel in the centre of Perth. Being a Perth resident we don't tend to stay more than one night in the hotels, as its normally only for a special occasion. Perth hotel aren't up to the quality/standard of asian hotels, but the Terrrace is probably one of the best in the city. The architecturally designed rooms, with beautiful big freestanding bath and separate shower (which had fantastic water pressure & flow) and comfy bed, together with foxtel and apple tv made it a comfy stay. We had an issue with a button missing from my husbands shirt just as we were about to walk out fro a night out and I called reception and they found a button & sewing kit and dropped it straight up to our room. Fantastic service, couldn't fault it.

    « Nicely presented »

We stayed at The Terrace Hotel for only 1 night, it was nice and quiet, and the people that we met at the bar were also a quiet bunch. We had booked into a standard deluxe room, again very clean and nicely presented. The seperate marble bathroom was my favourite part of the room and I think probably the cleanest bathroom I've come across at a hotel. Not a lot of bench space if your have lots of make up but there was a desk in the room, no mirror there though but as I take one with me, it didn't matter. The only downside to the bathroom was that after one use of the bath, the plug broke and we couldn't release the water. I'm sure if I had mentioned it to management when it happened, we would have sorted it out, but we didn't until we were checking out, so I didn't get another chance for a deep soak. The shower worked fine though. We didn't eat here but there was a nice set up for dining. If your looking for a very quiet, getaway in Perth, close to the Perth Convention Centre, then this hotel is well worth having a look at. They have bigger rooms as well if your after more bedroom space.

« Great experience for a special occasion, but BYO pillows »

A great stay at the hotel in the Heritage Suite for our 10th anniversary. The hotels staff were very attentive and the food in the Terrace Hotel Cafe was top quality. The only negatives were that the only TV in the suite was not in the bedroom, which made watching TV in bed impossible and the pillows were not comfortable at all, we slept with the pillows from the lounge as they were more comfortable! The artwork throughout the hotel was fantastic and set the mood even it they were copies!

    3
« So close but not quite there »

Visited this hotel last week on my first visit to Perth. This hotel is situated in a great spot - only a short walk to Barrack St Wharf and Perth Railway station. Free wifi was good. Our room was beautifully furnished but the bathroom had a shower with no shower screen which resulted in a very wet floor after we had showered. The service at breakfast was consistently slow and the first morning our coffees were cold.

    « Pure luxury »

What a magnificent place to stay, dine and enjoy. We were totally surprised and pleased at how good this hotel is. No fuss, luxury hotel, The check in process is seamless and very professional but still relaxed. Check out was the same. Room comfort is exceptional with very high standard of fittings and facilities. Apple TV and De Longhi coffee maker a special touch. Breakfast on both days of our stay was outstanding with the fresh fruit salad, muesli and Eggs With salmon a standout. Coffee is superb snd just right. The location of the hotel makes it perfect for business visitors and tourists alike. Keep up the good work guys.

« Lovely, large room. Great Location. »

We stayed in the Heritage King Suite 1. The room was street facing but was not noisy. The artwork as pictured on the website is a bit avant garde, but it really is a very nice large room with a large bathroom and wonderful bedding and good WiFi. The location is very close to the beautiful King's Park where you can spend all day walking. The park provides amazing views of the city, harbor and Fremantle. The walk to the harbor and boat cruises is about 12 minutes and walking to the well known C Restaurant, with 360 degree views of the city, is just 8 minutes. We did not have a car so I do not know about the parking. We never ate in the hotel restaurant but we did have a drink in the nice small bar with a terrace facing the back. Would definitely stay at The St. George again.

« A lovely stay at this small hotel! »

This is an lovely old building with only 15 rooms which I managed to visit twice in quick succession recently. It's a nice alternative to the other hotels at this end of town. The first visit was just for one night and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Heritage Suite. Lovely room with large bathroom and freestanding bath (pity I didn't have enough time to make use of it!) Arrived very late at night so had to ring the doorbell for admission. Had to rush off the next day, but as we were coming back in a few days, we were able to leave a bag with them. Also had a parcel delivered to me here and I received it with no problems. Returned for two nights and had a deluxe room (Room 8). I believe this may have been built as a disabled room, as there was no door on the very wide doorway to the bathroom. There was no privacy whatsoever, particularly as the bathroom was situated next to the room door, so would have been embarrassing if using the bathroom and your partner came back into the room from the hallway! Anyone passing would have a full view of anyone using the shower (with no shower screen or curtain). As most users of this room are probably not disabled, can I suggest a curtain or something for this opening? Had some technical issues with the TV in this room, so had to call reception and staff were very prompt in coming to help (and relieved to find it was an issue with the TV and not me!). The beds are REALLY comfy, and this is not something that I have ever commented on anywhere else. Was it just because they had a wool overlay on the mattress? I don't know, but they were so good, I pulled the sheets back to see what make etc it was! Even though they have a bar/restaurant downstairs and my room was at the top of the stairs, I thought it might be a bit noisy, but didn't hear a thing. Even if you had a room facing St George's Terrace, I don't think this would be an issue as it's not as busy as thoroughfares in other capitals. Look forward to returning on my next visit to Perth!

    « Unloved and unprofessional »

This boutique hotel feels very unloved. Such a shame as the building is lovely and the location good but there is no sense of anyone in charge. In our 3 night stay we barely saw the same staff member twice, let alone a manager. I wonder when management from Best Western last visited ? None of the staff we met were Australian and hence they lacked local knowledge and in some cases they struggled with the English language. The service at breakfast was particularly lacking with one poor member of staff expected to do everything - lay tables, take orders, make all the coffee and teas individually, serve food, take payments, etc. With 8 tables seated at the same time you could feel every guest's frustration. And this was over the Easter holiday weekend - surely the hotel would expect to be busy ?? I suspect that when this hotel was opened 4 years ago, it provided a much needed alternative to the Holiday Inn, Ibis, etc. but you cannot charge their prices and offer no service. Our 'deluxe' room was adequate with a particularly comfortable bed but so little space to store any belongings and a slick, designer bathroom but with no thought for practicalities. An attractive stand alone bath in the centre of the bathroom with absolutely nowhere to put soap or shampoo etc. The internet worked fine in the restaurant area but was hopeless in our bedroom (room 11, 2nd floor) There was no heart or soul to the place. The bar area was permanently empty with no sign of a bartender. Such a shame. With professional management and staff and a few changes to design, this place could be a gem.

« Federation grandeur in heart of Perth »

We were fortunate to be able to stay a night in Suite 5 on the first floor. Beautiful marble bathroom and wonderful mix of modern facilities and federation age style and elegance. It is a trip to a bygone era and a terrific change from the usual sterile rooms you expect from modern hotels. Combined with excellent food and fine wines in the restaurant for dinner it was a magic stay.

    « Weird rooms, »

We stayed at this hotel because of the reviews and the fact that it looked like a beautiful property. This hotel is very small, and the pictures of the entry, etc. are not very accurate. The Delux King room was very small, and the bathroom did not even have a door. The windows are closed over, so that while some light comes in, they are frosted so you cannot see anything outside. The shower did not have an enclosure (just falls onto the floor of the bathroom) - very weird! The Internet was spotty and slow. It disconnected each time your phone//iPad went to sleep, and would not automatically reconnect when they woke up. We complained loudly about the layout and our "Deluxe King room". The second night they moved us into a large suite, but many of the issues remained. Showers that have no enclosures, frosted exterior Windows, port internet, etc. We stayed again (already planned) for a third night on our way back through Perth. We had a room that was in between the other two. Not their largest suite, but a "King Suite". All of the same issues were encountered. The frosted windows are really quite ugly, as you feel very closed in. SHowers still fall directly on the bathroom floor (no enclosures), and become quite messy. And - if there were ever a fire or emergency, there is no way out of the room except the entry door. Forget the window exit, as they don't open and I have no idea where they go anyway! In their ads, they show very friendly staff, supposedly who know their guests, as there are not many rooms on the property. The staff never remembered who we were, etc. The TV's worked, but using their "Apple TV" was difficult and did not really work well. In our last room, the TV wasn't in the bedroom, but was in the area with the the desk and chair???? The restaurant was OK, and about par for a hotel restaurant. However service was VERY slow. Would not recommend or stay at this hotel again.

« Lovely stay at end of business trip »

This hotel is truly lovely from beginning to end. Upon check in I was greeted by an attentive and efficient lady who tended to my needs but knew how not to be overbearing. The rooms were beautifully decorated and super comfortable. I loved the stunning bathroom and it was the first time I've ever been enticed to use a bath. I had dinner in the hotel's restaurant which had a great atmosphere and tasty food. The only downside of my stay was the waiter who looked after me, she appeared to forget about me at the end of the night and never brought me the bill. The hotel is located close to Kings Park, which is a gorgeous park to walk through. I would definitely stay here again and recommended it to friends.

« Grows on you once you know it is not a standard hotel »

I stayed here for 3 nights on business this past week. The first impression was that it reminded me of old hotels throughout England and thought this was going to be a treat. And it was. Given I was exhausted upon check in, I found it took some getting used to things in the room, such as the open shower with no enclosure and not even a door for the bathroom. Additionally, there is no counter space to put your belongings on so had to remove hotel items in order to put my toiletries. So this left me almost wanting a "normal" hotel bathroom however once I tucked in for the night, I found the bed absolutely amazing! And slept like a baby as well. We had 2 breakfasts and one dinner at the hotel and the meals were fantastic. No doubt this boutique hotel has an outstanding chef. Now I have decided that, beside the strange bathroom configuration, this is an outstanding hotel and absolutely very different than the normal cookie cutter hotel and after 3 weeks of straight travel, this was a very welcome change. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Anniversary get away »

Lovely, quiet hotel where all the staff seemed to be French. Great location, comfy room and room service, loved the bath in the luxury bathroom. Only disappointment was waiting 30 mins for breakfast order on a Sunday morning in Resturant. Will consider again. Walking distance to all of Perth including Northbridge and Kings Park. Great little boutique hotel.

« Wonderful stay in Perth.. »

It has been exactly one year ago that we stayed at the Terrace Hotel. Our room was wonderful and so was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Tara was especially helpful. Thank so much for a great experience. We stayed March 2015

We stayed here for our anniversary and it has to be one of the best hotel stays we have had. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel welcome. We arrived on a hot day and the concierge bought us glasses of cold water whilst we checked in. We were shown to our room and shown how to use the facilities. The room included a bang Olufsen television, an iPad plus all the usual items you would expect from a quality hotel. The room was spotless and well presented. There are no views however, the windows are covered by the buildings outer façade. There is plenty of natural light in the room though. After freshening up we went down to the bar where we offered free drinks as it was our anniversary, it's the little things that count! We had breakfast the following day, service was a little on the slow side but the food was worth the wait. Great room, amazing staff well worth a visit and we will definitely use the hotel again.

Attending concert at Kings Park so enjoying this great hotel again as just a short walk to venue. Staff are very nice and helpful, food prepared well and very tasty. Thank you to Michelle for her attentiveness.

« Amazing hotel in every way »

I booked a night in this beautiful hotel for my husbands 60th birthday and also dined with four couples in one of their private dining rooms and it was the best choice of venues I could have made. This hotel is exceptional. I upgraded to a suite and it was just beautiful complete with chandeliers, crystal ornaments and plush furnishings. I loved everything about the rooms and the manager sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate. The bathroom was just beautiful. A huge bath and rainfall shower. The only down side, and this is a VERY small downside, was that the bathroom was a little dark for me to put on my make up, even with a lit make up mirror, but honestly, I'd be nitpicking to find anything. We booked a private dining room which was just lovely and the food and service was fantastic. From the initial booking to the final checkout, this hotel was first class. They couldn't do enough to assist me in making this surprise dinner a success. We included breakfast in our package and it also, of course, was first class. I can't wait for our next special occasion so we can return for another amazing night out. A big thank you to all the staff.

« The only place I stay in Pert.... unless its full! »

The Terrace is a great little boutique hotel that I have stayed at a number of times in the last couple of years. Excellent and friendly service from the staff. The rooms are decorated in an unexpected fashion with big asian lacquer cabinet and an "open plan" bathroom, all of which I like. Good breakfasts cooked to order and a nice bar for casual dinner and a craft beer or wine.

« The only place I stay in Perth... unless its full »

Stayed at the Terrace several times over the last couple of years. Always a good welcome, and a very comfortable room and board. Really nice change from corporate hotel, still retaining charm, and somewhat quirky but calm and cozy rooms. Breakfast on the outdoor terrace is good, watching the city wake up, and it gets pretty popular with breakfast meetings. Food in the evenings also great, especially the oysters in my opinion. Usually oneor two decent craft beers on tap at the bar. in the morning there is an annoying noise like a garbage compactor outside, but that is the only negative I have.

    « Could have been 5. »

We arrived mid afternoon on a Wednesday, there was a short queue for check in so someone showed us to the bar and offered us a free drink which was a very nice touch. The hotel is well maintained and has been well restored. We had a very spacious room on the 2nd floor with an impressive black marble bathroom, we are not found of wet room showers preferring an enclosure but this one had been well designed and when showering I didn't make the whole room wet which was what sometimes happens. We didn't like the fact that the windows can't be opened nor that they have some sort of metal screening on the outside which obscures the view. There was some early morning noise from nearby building works but it wasn't intrusive and neither we disturbed by noise from th bar or terrace some have commented on. The only downside we experienced was on our last morning. Normally we avoid hotel breakfasts preferring to eat out but as we were picking up a car and wanted to hit the road we decided to save some time and eat at the hotel. Whether we had chosen a busy day or whether they were understaffed I don't know but it took 20 minutes to get 2 coffees, toast and muesli.

« Not as good as expected for the price »

We stayed overnight in one of their suites. The building and the architectural features are inviting. The design and décor in the room take advantage of the provenance of the place. However, as mentioned in other reviews- the soft furnishings were a little tired and stains on the chaise unacceptable when paying top dollar. There was also a musty smell in the bathroom. I was also surprised at how much traffic noise was to be heard from the room. Breakfast was well executed and portion size very good. However, the top up charges already alluded to by another reviewer just lets the hotel down. This is not a budget hotel. We mentioned these issues, during check-out , to the member of staff on duty. All in all - it didn't live up to its hype and was a disappointment .

« Classic Style and Charm »

What a gorgeous hotel in a great location, I came across The Terrace Hotel while looking for a boutique hotel in Perth and actually couldn't believe i didn't know about it. What a beautiful little hotel. Easy valet parking, great welcome in reception, showed to our room by Nick (hope I got that right) who showed us around the very classy room and explained the TV, iPad and WiFi. the marble bathroom with clawfoot bath oozes class, all furniture and fittings including chandeliers are all of very high quality and the 4 poster bed is like sleeping on a cloud, my wife got straight onto the internet when we left to order similar pillows and pillow top.

« Small things go through the cracks »

It is a beautiful hotel and my first impression was that I wanted to give it 6 stars but the stay revealed sine issues. Noise from the restaurant does filter into the room sometimes. Whatever they had going on there Valentine's Day had the walls shaking It was so loud. Basic toiletries were not replenished until I asked for them by which point between morning service and turn down they had been in the room 5 times and even moved the near empty bottles around. WiFi is free but spotty. Nice hotel, good location, has some issues to fix if it truly wants to be top tier.

« The gem of St Georges Terrace »

I am in Perth twice a month and have tried a few of the major hotels down the east end of St Georges Terrace and the Terrace Hotel is my favorite by far. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. They have proper Foxtel box in the rooms and not just a re-cast subset of channels. The food in the restaurant is a little pricey but worth what you pay. A great wine list if you are into that.

« Good, small hotel but a little noisy »

The receptionist was welcoming and helpful when we arrived. The two-room suite we had was pleasant and well appointed, although some of the pieces of furniture would benefit from fabric cleaner and stain remover. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom also large, with roll-top bath, wet area shower (but it also showered the toilet seat) and a large wash basin and surround. It was well stocked with toiletries. Good coffee and tea making facilities were also available. Our room was above the entrance to the downstairs bar so we had thought that it may be noisy. In fact there was no noise from the bar but the large window onto St George's Terrace had only secondary double glazing, which was ineffective at keeping out road noise. We received a card upon which was written 'Breakfast 2 pax'. Breakfast the next morning was very good. We each had juice, a pleasant cooked meal and tea and coffee. After we finished, I handed the card to the waitress who advised that I had to stand in line with the walk-in, non-resident diners at the cashier desk. When I reached it I was asked to pay two dollars! Apparently, the breakfast allowance (unspecified to us) was sixty dollars for the two of us and my second cup of coffee had taken us two dollars over that limit. Given that we had a fairly modest breakfast and the room rate was $379 per night, I was rather bemused.

    « Lovely treat »

The room that we had was luxurious, amazing bathroom and knitted out with technology. A real treat. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Mini bar was expensive but to be expected in a hotel of this calibrate.

    « Getting tired »

Hotel could do with brightening up. Bar staff not very attentive and seemed to think they were a bit special, but wait staff were excellent. Room was a little tired but well presented. TV not visible from the bed, only an uncomfortable Chais that was badly stained

    « Beautiful room »

Had a delux room. Beautiful bathroom. Staff excellent. Individual attention. Very helpful. Bed very comfortable. Downside windows opaque. Saturday night late night music. And as another reviewer said remote control high tech and not easy to use. Never managed to get anything on screen apart from the news. But could have asked staff and sure they would have showed me again.

    « Great Hotel »

This is a lovely small hotel in the centre of Perth. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. Our room was of a good size with all the facilities you would expect from a quality hotel, including a Nespresso machine. Our bathroom had both bath and a 'wet room' shower. Sleep quality was good. Due to the proximity of tall buildings windows are opaque. Rooms have Apple tv's so seek out the remote instructions. The hotel's restaurant offers interesting selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    5
« Great room and Staff »

The room was very comfortable and has a great bathroom - all very well designed and fitted out to a high standard, as well as good quality amenities. We arrived by car and there is no easy place to drop your bags (its in the CBD after all), but the staff handled it very well and we used their valet service. Its in a heritage building and has a very pleasant 'feel' about it. Room service was of a good quality - very tasty - and prompt. I did not like the TV remote control - found it quite unintuitive. It involves a touch screen and push buttons and its very uncomfortable to hold. It took me an hour to find out how to adjust the volume...

« Perfect for a great night out in the heart of the city! »

It has been a long time since my husband and I had a night out in the heart of city. We chose the boutique Terrace Hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived we received a friendly welcome and great service during our stay. The Deluxe room wasn't huge but had a high quality fit out with a very comfy king size bed. There are so many new restaurants and bars in Perth, it was a great base to explore the Terrace down to the new State buildings. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant and both meals were very good. Highly recommended for a special night in the city.

« 2 Nights Stay over the weekend »

We stayed in the Terrace Suite for two nights taking advantage of a special promotion and couldn't fault our stay. Great service from friendly and accommodating staff. Spacious, clean and very well-decorated rooms with a vintage feel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable (like sleeping on a cloud!). We wanted to change rooms because of the room number (considered unlucky in some cultures) and thankfully the hotel staff were able to switch our room with another without any fuss. Even though we are locals, we would stay here again and highly recommend it.

« Special occasion dinner and stay. »

We stayed 2 nights to celebrate a special birthday and stayed in a Terrace Suite which was well worth paying for. They are very large rooms with excellent furnishings and very well appointed.. The bed was the softest and largest I've seen in a Hotel for some time. Bathroom has marble floor and walls and could be a little slippery when wet and there's no full length mirror anywhere, but this is a minor point. We had organised for 10 friends to join us in the Sommelier room for dinner which was a set menu of 2 courses - excellent food and service. The breakfast is not a buffet and so the food is freshly prepared and gives good value for money. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

    « 3 night stay »

Great service! The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The rooms offered all the modern amenities you would require but the layout was strange and not functional. The open plan bathroom didnt give any privacy from the room entrance, there was no room to put toiletries next to the wash basin or anywhere else and no hooks to hang a robe or towel of the floor. The lighting was poor and no mirror in the room. The windows were covered with a metal frame allowing light through but made you feel as if you are in a prison. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I would not stay here again if I had a choice but would definately come back for a drink or meal sitting outside on the terrace enjoying good food and great service.

    « Elegant Boutique Accomodation »

We stayed in the Premier Suite, lots of room, elegance and charm. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff and amenities were very good as were dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommended and we will be visiting again.

    « Ideal location »

We had deluxe suite which was comfortable if not spacious. No view at all, small double bed (you need to be friends) but an excellent shower. Good breakfast and we also had one dinner there too which was fine. Great location. There are only a few rooms (maybe 9?) and we think some a larger but more expensive.

    5
    « Great Location »

Very pleasant facility in the heart of Perth. Staff exceptional in attempting to assist us as we had trouble with the airlines in securing our baggage after a very long series off lights. Would recommend this location above others.

    4
    « Character & Comfort »

Other than the heritage charm to this boutique hotel the first thing you notice is the personalised service you will receive. Being a smallish hotel the staff really do give you one on one service as was evident when I was walked to my room from reception and taken through the rooms features by that same staff member. I stayed in a deluxe room which I thought was great for the price when compared to other hotels through the city area. It is definitely a character type room but has been done very well with no apparent short cuts taken. The bathroom was finished entirely in marble and looked an absolute treat. Breakfast was included in my package, it was nothing over the top but was very nice all the same. The alfresco dining experience was very nice and popular with the local business people, as there were many coming and going while I was dining. This may have been because of the coffee which was as good as I have had in Perth. Overall I thought this hotel was great and will happily return there on my next trip to Perth.

    « Perfect Hotel Pick »

This hotel was perfect for us after a long cruise. It had so many amenities and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast outside on the terrace was terrific and this hotel was in a perfect location to see Kings Park which was in walking distance. The only negative thing I would say about this hotel was that it had so many tech gadgets to do simple things like operating the TV, that you would have to stay there more than one night to learn how to use them. It is a boutique hotel so you would have to tend to like that sort of thing. We had heavy bags and they brought them up to our rooms for us. They also held our luggage until our rooms were ready since we arrived early off the cruise ship. All in all, an excellent stay!

    « Something a bit different »

This is a small, individual, boutique hotel, which means that what pleases one person may irritate another. After travelling around nearly a month staying in corporate hotels most of it pleased me a lot. An excellent central location, comfortable well equipped rooms, fresh milk in the fridge for early morning tea, an excellent dinner, friendly staff (although "I've not been hear long" was heard more than once) and no room service charge. On the debit side, it beats me why the architect of the rear extension thought people wouldn't want to look out of the window, the a la carte only breakfast was on the expensive side, the TV control was hard to use, and in line with the rest of Australian hotels they charge a credit card surcharge. Enormous congratulations, though, for the sign referring to what the Australian service industry, following American euphemism, call a rest room, or even a bathroom, as a LAVATORY!

« A lovely hotel in central Perth easily accessible to shops and restaurants. »

A lovely hotel in excellent location in centre of Perth. Rooms very comfortable and quiet and well provided with coffee, tea etc. Staff, especially reception staff, very helpful and pleasant. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. One tip. If, like me, you prefer not to eat breakfast in hotel, there is a lovely patisserie called Destiny 5 minutes walk away which does excellent takeaway snacks and will tailor croissants to your choice far cheaper than hotel breakfast .

    « Small but outstanding »

Stayed for 1 night only after a cruise. This is a privately owned hotel and it shows.Extremely comfortable bed,i pad, good tv,well stocked mini bar with champers and crystal glasses.Luxury bathroom with freestanding bath and excellent shower.Bathrobes and slippers and White Company toiletries even bathroom scales. Breakfast outside on the terrace was unbelievable never seen so much food on a plate.I am starting to believe Australia is trying to match America in the food portions. Location is excellent just a stroll uphill to Kings Park and downhill to the Quay area. All in all a special place to stay with the emphasis on the guest. The staff also need a mention very friendly and quite willing to have a chat when time allows. The manager also gave us a potted history of the hotel which was interesting. I also received an e mail from the hotel after my stay which almost beat me home,a nice touch.

Ideal location fabulous room, great staff overall a fantastic experience and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location of the hotel was ideal for access to King's Park [a must visit] with fantastic views and things to see. Also close to the quay which is ideal for boat trips around the harbour or further afield [we took a boat to Fremantle]. The hotel is located at one end of St. Georges Terrace very close to shops and restaurants.

    « Relaxing Getaway Break »

This was our first stay at the Terrace Hotel. A nice change from the standard hotel room. We were greeted by friendly staff and escorted to our room ( Terrace Suite 4 ) and shown all amenities. The room was fitted out nicely with good quality appliances etc. the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Only let down in the suite was the bathroom, which had a very unpleasant damp odour, even with the exhaust fan running the entire duration of our stay. The shower floor also was not very clean, having a greasing film over the floor and a previous "tenants" hairpins on the floor. We had some pre drinks at the cozy bar followed by an evening meal in the main dining area. The meal was excellent and the service to match. We had breakfast in the morning which was also as good. A very relaxing and pleasant stay. Very polite staff.

    « Would recommend a stay here »

Arrival was at 0145 to a very welcoming and efficient check in. The hotel entrance is to the right of the 'main entrance' which is in fact for the restaurant, and closed at the time we arrived. The room was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom a delight. The food the following evening was very good and with the location of the hotel at the quiet end of the CBD, I found everything to be more than satisfactory, except the TV control which was very strange. Instruction is required if you haven't seen this gadget before. If you like hotels which are not formulaic and standardised, you'll enjoy this one.

« Nice but not quite as expected »

Early (09:00) arrival from an overnight flight, staff most helpful trying to make a room ready, but still didn't manage to check in until 1:30pm. Awarded an "upgrade" from ordinary room to "Suite" but it is not really a suite, just an ordinary and old room in the original heritage building and with a four-poster bed. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. But do artistic pictures of naked women on the walls make this a "suite", not at all. The room though, old and not really giving the impression of being perfectly clean, (long hairs on the carpet !). The bathroom on arrival looks impressive but in practice is not quite practical. Certainly not too clean, soap marks on floor and counter and with long blonde hairs on the floor, looks like ti could do with a good scrub. A lovely powerful rain shower but no curtain or enclosure means the whole bathroom floor gets washed when used. As an alternative, the tub looks inviting but it is slippery and without grab-handles and has a rounded shoulder which means there is nowhere at all to place soap or amenities etc. It also empties onto the floor so the floor is going to be wet no matter what. The lovely thick and large towels are not close to the shower or tub so one needs to plan ahead or suffer a wet trek. Useful though for mopping the ever-wet floor. The turn-down service is also a misnomer, it does not actually turn down the bed or ready the room for the night, a chocolate and a weather forecast on the night stand seems to be the sum-total of turn-down service ! On the positive side, almost all of the staff are exceptionally polite and helpful, the hotel is very well-located, a short walk to the town centre or to the Kings Park. For amenities, a super Nespresso machine is provided for coffee but it is stored on a high shelf and there is nowhere to operate it except to balance it on the edge of the bathroom counter. The TV and entertainment system are of exceptionally high quality but are fairly complicated to operate. Once mastered though the system provides a wide choice of TV channels and entertainment. An iPad provided in the room is also useful and the "high-speed" wifi is free although not often high speed. No breakfast buffet available in the restaurant but a good selection of a-la-carte choices. The "Terrace Breakfast Feast" is to be feared, I was defeated by the last sausage, but it will last all day foregoing lunch ! A pleasant stay

Quite simply stunning. We recently stayed here on our wedding night. After allowing us an early check-in for the Bridal Party to get ready, the staff were professional, yet effusive and warm in their welcome. On our return later that night, we were greeted in our room with a bottle of champagne and a box of gourmet chocolates. The bed and bedding proved to be luxurious quality and divinely comfortable while the bathroom boasted thick, fluffy, decadent towels and gorgeous toiletries. The suite was beautifully presented and well equipped. We left vowing to return every anniversary. Thank you to The Terrace Hotel for a wonderful stay.

Lovely, old, small boutique hotel in central location. Heritage rooms are lovely, comfortable, peaceful and the bar is excellent offering the best cocktails in Perth. Restaurant was also good. Staff are friendly, helpful. [note: had serious problems for one night - our dry cleaning was forgotten/ the air conditioning unit was faulty/noisy and we had to change rooms at 01:00 - but everything was done to rectify the situation by staff and management who were then generous to upgrade us. I think it was just a blip].

I stayed for 3 nights while attending a conference at the Perth convention centre which was literally a 5 minute walk out the back door of this hotel....down thru a magnificent garden. It is a small boutique hotel that would surpass any larger hotel for service and friendliness of staff. Great food terrific setting and magnificent hotel furnishings. Close to Kings Park too.

We recently had a lovely stay here - everyone was very warm and helpful. The highlights were the gorgeous bed - maybe I'd spent too long in a camper van, but the comfort factor was amazing! Great mattress topper and king feather/down pillows. And the massive bath was dreamy! God access to city and Kings Park.

« A great and very comfortable hotel to stay in »

Our overall stay in this hotel was very pleasant. The room was very well appointed, although the style is not 100% to my taste, but it has great amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable due to a quality mattress, pillows & linen, which I really appreciated. There was complimentary wifi in the rooms but it was a little weak. There was a good entertainment system in the room. Staff extremely professional & helpful. Food ok, but could have been better. One of the top 3 hotels we stayed in during our 5 week trip to western, northern and central Australia. Would definitely come back.

« Great hotel to stay in »

We stayed at the Terrece hotel on the 9/10/15 and so glad we did. I will start with how fantastic the receptionist was that I dealt with, her name was Elsa. Else saved me $$$ and was very patient, as I had booked this hotel through wotif with no extras, then realised that I could get a better deal by booking the celebration package directly through the hotel. This deal included early check in, late checkout, bottle of champagne, newspaper in the morning at the door, box of chocolates and breakfast( breakfast is not a buffet, you order off a menu and can have as many items as you like, juice and coffee included) I saved myself $140. We had lunch in the restaurant, all course's were fantastic, then we were shown to our room, the heritage suite 5 and we were really impressed, fantastic room and amenities. The only issues that let the whole experience down was the air conditioner was very loud and didn't cool the room down very well and the WiFi didn't work very well. Thank you to all the staff that we dealt with, you were all very professional. Well done.

« Lovely hotel, great service and food »

Our overall stay in this hotel was very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the pillows provided were of both hard and soft which was good to sleep on. The bathrobes provided were comfortable and different from other hotels. The room slippers were SO comfortable and nice on the feet. So tempted to bring them home! The toilet and bathroom was an open concept, which can be weird for some. However, it was a good size which meant no wet floor when going to the toilet. We ordered room service for dinner and the food was fantastic. No complaints there. There was complimentary wifi in the rooms but it was a little weak and keeps disconnecting. What I liked about the entertainment in the room is that they have foxtel, normal TV and apple TV. It was such a novelty to use the apple TV. One thing I dislike was that not all the channels listed on foxtel was available. It would be better if it was removed from the menu as it was slightly confusing. There was an ipad provided in the room which was great however, no charging cable was available and the ipad was not fully charged. The service was great. Breakfast menu was good. We had caramel waffles and eggs benedict. Caramel waffles were so good! Lovely stay. Will return again.

« Hidden Gem in the CBD »

A great hotel, hidden in the CBD and not what you would expect. Hotel is quite a small boutique hotel (wasn't obvious to me when I booked) but this is a plus. The room I stayed in was perfectly appointed, both the style and the fittings themselves. I travel around 70% of the year and live out of hotels with my job. The check in and staff at this hotel are some of the most welcoming and friendly I have ever come across! Slight noise in the early to mid evening time as my room was above the restaurant and looked onto the street, but this was not a big issue. Other reviewers have commented on the quantity of the food in the restaurant (I only went for breakfast as included in my room rate) and I must agree, there isn't much on the plate. BUT the quality of what was there was very good. Slight issue and annoyance at check out with my bill accuracy, but sorted out after 20mins (front desk had to call head office I was told) Would defiantly come back.

    « Stylish and Comfortable »

My wife and I just spent a couple of nights here at the start of our WA holiday. The hotel is stylish - more so than you might expect of a Best Western. The restaurant and bar are well appointed and both offer a pleasant atmosphere. Our room was small but again well fitted out and a comfortable king size bed. My wife thinks the bathroom was designed by a man - not enough light to do your makeup but chic! The location is good at the top of St Georges Terrace. All round, one of the best I've stayed at in Perth.

« Exceptional service. Average room comfort »

We won this overnight as a raffle prize. The service from beginning to end was personable and excellent. However, the mattress was old and soft - I had trouble sleeping - and the bathroom whist very pretty to look at had an shower that was open plan (no curtain) and squeezed into the bath in such a way that you could barely lift your elbow! breakfast was also very good

Excellent hotel and loved my recent stay there. Staff warm, friendly and helpful Only bummer was the bathroom and shower all together and water was everywhere and thank god for extra towels to place down on the floor. Delicious breakfast and the first for awhile, it was hot. It is expensive but worth it Go

« luxury, romance and old world charm »

I surprised my partner for his 30th birthday with a night's stay in the Heritage suite. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. We were greeted by a smiling face and were then showed up to our room- very rare that you receive a private escort and mini tour of your room! When you walk into the suite, you feel like you have stepped back into time. Every detail, fixture and ornament has been planned to perfection. The room is full of old world charm and is immaculately clean and tidy. The bathroom is nothing but sheer luxury and certainly the highlight of the room. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have slept in and the separate lounge area appointed with a mini bar and espresso machine was a great bonus. Dinner was nothing short of perfection. All of our meals were divine and the service was 5 stars- we had mentioned in a passing comment that that my partner was celebrating his birthday and the chef organised a beautiful dessert with a ?happy birthday' message. When we returned to the room, we found little chocolates and tomorrow's weather forecast on our bedside table, a very cute touch. Breakfast was no different, fantastic service and delicious homely eggs. Coffee was perfect. We could honestly not fault one aspect of the room, hotel or service- if you are looking for Perth's most luxurious and boutique accommodation, no other place compares. We will be back for sure! Great service, beautifully restored period building with well appointed spacious rooms and ensuites. Only issue was the air conditioner became noisy very early AM. Advised reception on check out and they assured they would rectify.
