Best Western El Dorado Panama Hotel

Good hotel, good service. I would go again. Easy to park, good breakfast (not great, but good enough) Very kind personnel. A little noisy on Sunday if your room is close to the pool, but not a big deal. Overall I would say it is a good choice for a short stay

Excellent hotel, 100% recommended, the staff is very attentive to serve you at any time, close to casinos and shopping centers, good facilities, and access to main roads very close. The rooms, although not very modern, are very comfortable. Some rooms offer a microwave and refrigerator so you can have food if you need it. Good hotel

Hotel was really nice, staff was very friendly. If you are looking for a view, do not book the large suite you will be staring at an old dirty building. This hotel was in a great location for shopping and eating. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Great hotel and great services, in a great location in Panama City! Especially since it was my first visit to Panama, it was a great prime location for me to venture out, Uber around, or guides come pick me up, and visit the rest of the wonderful city and surrounding areas while visiting. Breakfast is a great light mix of American and Panamanian continental, and adjacent to TGIF, and other local international restaurants. Thanks for taking great care of me!

Nice, clean rooms, well stocked breakfast buffet with plenty of options. Close to the major MegaMall five blocks away. Lots of traffic noise during the daylight hours.

Listennnnnnnnnnnnnn this small hotel was ideal for us. They have a store across the street, a restaurant right next door ( TGI Fridays) and further down the street (about 5 minute walk) the first mall of Panama and other shopping and food outlets. Our visit was fantastic. The team even sang me happy birthday on my way in after a day out(they remembered 😊) the staff are super friendly, informative and helpful.The pool area is small but very comfortable. They're clean and cozy. We definitely will be back again next year!!

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only complaints I had was the spotty WiFi and the view of a wall from our room window. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. TGI Fridays right downstairs was a nice touch. The stores close by also provided convenience.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Variety of food for breakfast. Clean pool area. Many restaurants, grocery stores and a mall within a 10-15 minute walk. Safe area to walk around, day and night.

No no no never. Parking bad. Food plebians. Not in 1000 years would I stay there. Many other fine hotels. Management not responsive to problems. WiFi spotty and slow..desk said had some problems blah blah

This property is located on a very commercial area of Panama City, there are countless dinning options, although mostly Chinese, there is a mall and many other shopping options if that is what you are for. There are also quick access to the intra-city express ways and to the bus terminal and local airport.

Firm bed for comfortable sleep. Clean hotel. Within walking distance of many restaurants & El Dorado Mall for shopping. Decent breakfast. Free WiFi but some connectivity problems. Would stay there again.

I had an excellent and fun-filled time at Best Western El Dorado. Moisés and Carolyne, staff at the hotel, made my stay easier and stress free by going out of their way to connect me with tours organizers who gave me great memories of Panama City's landscape. The hotel is always pristine clean and nice smelling, very well situated, within minutes of major attractions, with a beautiful outdoor pool, very comfortable bed and an amazing, complete continental breakfast every day. I had a very satisfying vacation and I will certainly be back.

Best Western was my choice of hotels to stay for my short visit to th eisland and I didnt regret it one bit. Rooms were impeccably made, toiletries on par, Bed linen clean and beds nicely made, a nice welcome after being on the road all day. This hotel I would definitely recommend to anyone planning a short or long vacation. The front desk staff was polite and helpful. At no time did we feel like we were being imposed upon.

This hotel I have recommended to a friend of mine. I am happy my friend was satisfied. I think the price is good and the area. If you want to save money and still be in the city I believe this place is good for the price. It is very clean They have a friday next door. It is very close by from Albrook and Dorado Mall It is very easy to get an uber or taxi. You can even walks to coffee stores and some restaurant.

An average hotel in Panama city, the cost compare to the US is high. but convenient though! It would be nice if the hotel provides transformation from and to the airport and have local tours to the customers. That kind of services are needed in order to gain more customers.

Really good hotel in the middle of what it looks like Chinatown, a lot of restaurants and good places around, nice pool and breakfast was pretty good too. You get the city experience without it being too loud, you can get some traffic since it is in the middle of everything.

The hotel was good for the price. Centrally located near several restaurants and stores. The room was large and clean. The hotel has a pool area that is very clean. The breakfast is adequate, but not extensive. You could order scrambled eggs and corn cakes. The internet connection was available and free. However it was not dependable for video calls.

Food was great, waitress disappeared after serving the entrees and if you are going to serve a $16.00 drink there should be a price somewhere or told the price by the server, we visit El Jalisco when we go into town, normally I like to spend more on my entree then on one drink, but we will not ever order those over priced under liquored drinks again. As I said the food is always good, service is usually better. No excuse for not saying the price of a *?&$+# $16.00 drink is not excusable, I will drink tea instead.

The hotel is ok small clean , the staff is not very helpful, I had sent them 2 or 3 emails asking for a king size bed , when we arrived they said they never got my emails, and all they had was a queen , the bed is actually a double the rooms are very small , but the bathroom is a nice size, the rooms are clean , no fridge in the room , breakfast was ok ,

Great facelift and services since Best Western has taken over! I would recommend it easily to others. The free breakfast took some getting use too but after figureing out how to fill out the form , everything was good.

It was a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. They were helpful with some questions we had regarding other errands we had to perform.

Started our group tour here. Nice pool, comfy rooms, good breakfast. Plenty of eateries close by for sampling in the evening. Ice machines on each floor but only worked on ground level. First floor had DIY laundry facilities.

We were very pleased to get an early check in as we had a long night flight. Room was tidy, with cool decor and a great view over the park. We spent time at various city attractions using Uber easily. We also enjoyed time at the pool and one day had it to ourselves. We spent 4 nights using BW points so that was also a bonus. The pool view is wonderful with a handy cafe that's got a nice menu offering great snacks and beverages. The free breakfast was decent, everything I like. Probably the quietest location we had in our 3 weeks at various Panama locations & a super comfy bed. Staff was helpful with attractions and directions as well !

This hotel is just what you expect from a Best Western and more. Good location great people and very good breakfast. Also parking is free. Clean and modern rooms Nice outdoor swiming pool. Walking distance to many attractions.

Good service and nice place. The location is quite good even is not in the center of the city but i have to travel outside the town the connection by road is good. The breakfast is good divers even the yogurt is very sweet.

Nice hotel in a good location near PAC airport. Safe area with a TGIF restaurant located next to hotel. Property was clean and comfortable, Staff was attentive. I thought the price was a little high. I would go this hotel again,

this hotel is quite noisy, if you opt for a room at the back of the building, you will have an automatic alarm clock with very strong Chinese music, a group of Chinese do their gymnastics every morning

A good Hotel to pass a night in Panama City, very quiet at the center of the city. For shopping and turism at city you can stay there, also for business. Hotel is near to restaurants and Dorado's Mall, lack of parking when they have activites and backside's restaurant is full.

Really good price for the place. Its very clean and people are nice. The rooms are pretty standard and hot water and internet works very good. The only complain I may have is that yhe hair dryer is not of very good quality and it turns itself off after a couple of minutes. And the breakfast even though is good but it finishes way too early (9:30a.m. on weekdays and 10:30 a.m. on weekends). Otherwise all very nice.

The personal was friendly and helpful, the breakfast needed a ittle more choices for low carb diet but mostly it was really good to be able to go and grap a quick breakfast included on my room price. The suite had a microwave, small fridge and mini coffee maker, that was a huge plus. I will recommend suite 228 I stayed there for 13 nights and it was nice and quite room. The manager of the hotel Veroushka Badillo was extremely nice, helpful, friendly and always trying to make us feel at home. I will definitely go back on a heart beat. Yes this hotel is not by the beach or has great views but it is quite and safe area, you can walk to EL Dorado Mall and there are plenty choices of restaurants around.

We arrived late after our flight and stayed for one night. The room was okay except it was located on the first floor above the pool so it was very noisy early in the morning. The hotel arranged our airport pickup and the driver was great. Breakfast was basic.

Arriving in Panama City-Panama, I decided to spend the night at a cozy nice small hotel I frequently stay at when in Panama, I was surprised that the hotel was bought or acquired by Best Western Hotels, decided to call it in as a walk in, no reservation guest, hence I was a frequent guest with the previous administration I thought it would be a good idea to call and introduce myself, explain my expectation and how I used to deal with the previous chain; that been said, the lady not only kept my rate, but gave allowed me to park in a “hotel staff” designated parking space, there was no parking and it was raining pretty hard. The check in was very professional, friendly and fast. Got my room and headed there, just like all other times I stayed there, the room was clean, king side bed in front of a nice size TV set, be as it me be, I just crashed to get some rest, time passed that I woke up about dinner time, soo I thought, I call to order something for dinner, it took for ever, “the operator” (nice guy) tried several times to connect me to the restaurant, no answer, finally he offer to go there and find out what was going on, call me back and said that now it was ok for me to dial direct, soo I dialed and a nice young lady took my order, great food! Broccoli Cream Soup and Salmon Caesar Salad, finish my meal, watch Tv for a while and fell sleep, having to do some work I decided to make me a cup of coffee, strike one! “No bottled water in the room”, strike 2 small refrigerator was completely empty (usually is like an assortment of beverages and others that you pay at check out time), ok, tap water still pretty good in Panama, got some water from the restroom sink and made my coffee (Only 1 courtesy pack, usually is two), coffe was good..after having that cup of coffe, watch Tv, do some more work, I decided to take a short nap, ups .. woke around 2.30 am, realizing that I didn't take my night shower I prepared myself for a well deserved, very late night shower; that was strike 3; the shower floor was just filthy dirty to my and I believe anyone's standards... God dressed up and checked out at 3.30 Am more or less; check into another hotel... that's a different review. See pictures. Other than the shower floor, I could of survive the first two strikes, Hotel has a pool, gym and is overall a nice small hotel very well located, great for a business person not too finicky willing to iron or wash your his/her clothes. See pictures and draw your own conclusions. I may be back, “so long they keep clean those shower floors”.., maybe.

Country Inns and Suites should be embarassed to put their name on this hotel. While I know they are going through renovations, they should close instead of giving guests a negative view. There isn't a resturant, just a place for breakfast. The pool, restrooms and awnings are all torn up. I would not recommend it as this time.

The location was away from the main downtown area. Very quiet area. There is a very nice yacht club across the parking lot. Only issue I had was that the door was nonfunctional the latch did not lock. It was fixed on second day of stay.

This hotel has suites so I somehow assumed the rooms would all be large. Wrong. Our room was so tiny I really felt afraid of bumping into the furniture at night. Other than this claustrophobic situation, the hotel was OK. Staff was great! The free breakfast was often a chicken dish steamed with onions and was very bland. The juices were more like "drinks" than real juice. Nothing tasted good, but it was convenient to have a hot breakfast every morning before going out. The location was fine for us, near to shopping centers and several Chinese restaurants.

I hardly ever give a perfect score when rating because there is always room for improvement. However, at this hotel every employee that we had contact with was pleasant and accommodating. From the time of checking in; the front desk employees, maintenance, housekeeping and breakfast staff, all were pleasant and accommodating. Two front desk employees at this hotel went over and beyond exceeding our expectations, Hector and Shamyr Anderson. If I were asked to give an award for employee of the month it would definitely go to the night employee Hector! Great job all! Because of the excellent service one is able to over look or forget a smaller issue such as store bought cookies instead of the fresh baked like we're used to getting at other Country Inn & Suites. The breakfast was excellent!
