"Okay for one night"
ridgeley, 26 Mars 2024

I'm in Palm Springs for just one night and didn't want to spend a fortune on a hotel, so I tried this Best Western. It's a basic, not a Plus or Premier. Okay location, though not prime, south of downtown, too far to walk there. It was very quiet overnight, no loud guests. The room is tiny, with mostly beaten up furniture. But, it's very clean and the mattress is new. A really nice mattress, I slept well. Plenty of hot water in the shower, plumbing all works fine. Housekeepers are very friendly as you see them working around the property, the guy at the front desk for checkin was nice enough. Free parking. Breakfast is poolside, which is pleasant, plenty of seating, nice view of the mountainside. If all you need is a place to lay your head and you're not looking for a resort hotel, it's fine, if uninspiring.

"Select another hotel if you possibly can"
Burny1_ct, 21 Mars 2024

So I don't really like to write reviews unless I am 100% convinced it will make a difference. I also don't like to write negative reviews as, being in the hospitality industry myself, I understand what an impact it can have on the establishment. In this instance I'm compelled to say something. Eveyone always says don't use 3rd party booking services as the hotels do not value you as much as when you book directly. On the other hand the 3rd party booking agents spin a completely different story saying it pays to rather book through them, due to their buying power, as you will get better service because the hotels do not want to lose the business. With this in mind, and being a gold member at hotels.com, I booked this best western with them. Selected the room with king bed. I may add that I also checked the best western's website to make sure the room we wanted is still available as this should be live data. In any event, we arrived and I go in to check in. Lovely lobby, clean and it looks well maintained. The associate behind the desk however is a completely different matter. Could not be more disinterested if he tried. NO people skills whatsoever. Fine, not there to have a tea party and casual chat. He hands me all the items I need, and off I go to find the room. Now up to this point no communication about not being able to accomodate the booked room. Get to the room and it is dismal - think motel feel. Not the room booked as it is tiny and there are 2 queen beds in. Room is also dark. Clearly this is not what I booked. Back to the front desk. Explain that this is not what we booked. Associate checks his computer looking very confused. Then very matter of factly state “oh we told Expedia we don't have this room available”. I informed him this does not make sense as no-one contacted me. By now another associate joins the party. I inform them that this room is unacceptable. On top of that I make the comment have they actually stayed in their own rooms as it is horrible. The new associate makes the comment “yes our rooms are horrible” - she then asks her associate if some other person is still on duty - I'm assuming it was a manager - this person is not there. She then says “we have cancelled your booking and refunded you - you can leave the lobby now”. Now maybe I could have been bit more tactful in showing my displeasure. Having said that, the attitude of the staff in my view is not how Best Western staff normally behave. What actually irked me was the fact that my booking was confirmed for my room type and on top of that their own website confirmed they had rooms available. Probably the fact that they are busy makes them believe that they don't need to respond in a certain way to guests. Of course if you are sold out of a room you cannot make one appear, however telling a lie that you informed the booking agent, which by the way was not the case as hotels.com have no record of this, and then be rude about it on top of that, is really not good. Will be the last time I book at Best Western, directly or via a 3rd party company. Be careful when booking at this specific establishment as they do not value you as a client.

"Don't stay here unless you don't mind being skeeved out and overpaying."
Davina K, 16 Mars 2024

This place is run down. I was horrified when I pulled up and saw the outside. Most of the rooms look off onto a wall of another building only a few feet away. The carpet is stained and the furnishings inside are run down. Everything everywhere else is booked this weekend so I can't even leave and I have 3 nights in a $245 dollar a room night that's no better than a motel 6. We are so bummed. The pool is at the very end of the hotel and looks nothing like the rest of the hotel. It's a dump. If I was paying $80 a night then it would match the value.

"Needs improvement"
connielarocque1, 15 Mars 2024

This hotel is not kept up. It's very old and very expensive. Staff was friendly but doesn't make up for the hotel being so outdated. We will not be staying there again. Very disappointed in this hotel.

"Too noisy of a room - but clean room and good bed"
deysnc, 23 Février 2024

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the shower was good. The air conditioner/heater sounded like a truck was coming through the room. At 3 AM a whining sound started and lasted about two hours. Sounded like some sort of machinery, but couldn't figure out what it was or where it was coming from. Squeaky floor from the room above. The hotel is also in a good location.

"rude staff/ room dirty"
mirandaprz2827, 12 Février 2024

Front Desk agent who checked me in was rude. Was on the phone when I checked in. Didn't give me no explanation where my room was. Room towels looked used and hair all over shower. Tried calling the front desk but nobody answered.

"Do not stay here"
Whaleboner, 26 Janvier 2024

Do not stay here unless you want to be Verbally assaulted by the front desk staff. Like I was for placing my credit card in wrong and too slow- When I said it said approved the front desk guy was yelling I did it too slow to do it again I told him it said approved. He said it didn't. Did it again And got back to my room and was double charged

"Terrible BestWestern..STAY AWAY!!!"
Cesar R, 11 Décembre 2023

I was not satisfied with this hotel. This should nit be part of the BestWestern Chain. Seems as if building room was just done half complete. There was tile falling from underneath the sink area and also behind the toilet. The bathtub was seemed to be the wrong wize. So much noise as you walk on it. You could see the cracks along the side where the caulking should be. The pipes for the faucet where longer than the wall. We could here popping sounds most of the night, come to realize it was a breaker in the bathroom. While using the restroom it popped again loud, the vent stopped working and you could smell burnt smoke. I called and spoke to front desk, Richard, and all he could say was, "I'm sorry." For sure I would never recommend this play. Should not even be part of the BesterWestern name!

"Perefct post-Thanksgiving Three-Day Escape"
SteveLicata, 30 Novembre 2023

My wife and I really enjoyed a three-day post-Thanksgiving getaway at this fine hotel. The location is excellent - halfway between downtown Palm Springs and Palm Canyon. It is also next to the nice Moorten Botanical Gardens, across the street from the very famous hole-in-the-wall savory crepe stand called Gabino's Creperie and good Mexican food at El Mirasol, and just down the street from legendary Elmer's Restaurant for breakfast. The staff are very professional and courteous and even though they were at capacity we never felt rushed or crowded. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and the free breakfast is quite filling. The pool area, however, is real treat. Situated right up against the steeply sloped mountain, the shallow pool (no more than 5 feet deep) , was at least 85 degrees, so I just ould lay at the bottom and look up at the blue sky and clouds. It is really that comfortable. The jacuzzi is also nice and not too hot, so you really could spend a lot of time at the pool and on this busy weekend we had the place almost all to ourselves. We definitely will be back!

"Good Value for Price"
Sandra3584, 27 Novembre 2023

We chose this hotel bc 1) they offered a continental breakfast and 2) they advertised a heated pool. The breakfast offered a really good choice of waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs, bacon or sausages, very good coffee, juice, fresh fruit +++++. It also has a very nice breakfast area by the pool. Many hotels say the pool is heated when in fact is isn't and this pool was heated. Very pool area with plenty of table and loungers.

"old building"
royhead, 19 Novembre 2023

this is a very old hotel and shows it. The bedding was not very comfortable and I hate those half bed pillows. The tv was small, I'm guessing 28 inches. The breakfast was good and I appreciate that. They did let me check out early.

"Pleasant stay in Palm Springs"
Joseph B, 12 Septembre 2023

The BW Inn at Palm Springs is at the edge of the downtown area and very convenient. I did not have any problems at all. The room was ready early so I was able to check-in at 1:30. It was comfortable and clean and I enjoyed a very good night's sleep.

"Run, don't walk away from this BW"
MissMarcy501, 23 Juillet 2023

This has got to be one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. We wanted to do a quick weekend getaway and found a deal that we now realize when looking back was too good to be true. The pictures do not truly represent what you get once you arrive. The building is old and rundown. However, the woman (Linda) who checked us in was very personable. There was ample parking and this is where the positive aspects of our stay ends. As we headed to our room, we noticed the carpet in the hallways were stained and smelly. This continued once we got to the room, which was disappointing at best. The carpet smelled and was worn out and buckling in some areas, the chain lock on the door was broken, the curtains, drapes and walls were stained, there was dust that had settled on all the surfaces, the room finishes were poorly done, there was an unused napkin chucked behind the television, and the pool was completely exposed to the public/street view; (because of this we didn't bother using the pool). I found the whole ordeal to be so disgusting I hardly slept and when I did it was on top of all the bed coverings. I promptly ended our stay and checked out the following morning which was earlier than we had anticipated. Checking out turned out to be the highlight of that entire experience. Had I known better I would have done so as soon as we entered the room, but I was under the impression that once checked in you were obligated to stay or forfeit the cost for that night. The only words that I can use to sum up this experience are "icky, gross and unfit to be a Best Western franchise". Whatever you do, please read the reviews and consider them before booking at this location.

"Regrets."
Seaside12668923593, 08 Juillet 2023

Only good thing was exterior entrance but I got a room where that was not possible because it was in the middle of the hallway. Internet very slow, pretty much dial up speed. Room was in need of overhaul/upgrading. Bed OK. Desk covered with Ice bucket/coffee and giant lamp which took up all the room I needed for laptop. Drawer pull came off when I tried to open drawer. There was a tv channel listing but it had all kinds of channels that you could not get. All HBO channels listed but not available...what a tease....also had to go all the way through town coming from the west just to get here, passing lots of exterior entrance motels that looked pretty nice. Should have stopped at one of them but was too tired from driving.

"Simple and Pleasant"
98gopherus, 24 Juin 2023

Pleasant hotel for the price and only minutes from downtown activities, without having to be downtown. One person run front desk. Doors open to outside and very simple pool area. Decent and simple accommodations.

"Nice and quiet hotel. Great for a few nights."
Ricardo A, 07 Juin 2023

Nice hotel with 24hrs pool and jacuzzi. Delicious breakfast at the pool. Rooms may need some work but are very comfortable with microwave, coffee maker and fridge. Restaurants close buy w/in walking distance on E Palm Canyon. Downtown is just a 25min walk north of the hotel.

"Will not recommend or return"
peacelovedez, 05 Juin 2023

The room was disgusting, shower head falling off the wall and no fan in the bathroom. Carpet and walls were extremely dirty and a strong odor in the room. Did not feel clean and found multiple bugs in room during our stay. Staff was not friendly and breakfast was not very good. Spent the least amount of time possible at the hotel.

"Best to avoid this property"
brucewalla1, 16 Mai 2023

This was the dirtiest, most poorly maintained hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpet had big stains in the middle of the room. The bottoms of our travel slippers were black when we left. The bathroom was functional, but backsplash was falling off the wall, the floor grout was dirty and the towel bar was loose. The breakfast was good, you could eat outside around the pool. The room was so uninviting we preferred to stay outside.

"Excellent hotel"
yidelNeuman, 06 Février 2023

No words, it is an excellent hotel for everyone....... Dont hesitate book it and go....... Its so quiet and nice around the whole area...... The pool is beautiful and so the jacuzzi....... Changing the linen everyday.....

"Nice bones, needs work"
desertcrow, 05 Février 2023

Great location. Loved the pool are up against the hill. Room was well decorated and obviously someone cared at some point. However it was run down. Lights over sink and fan didn't work at all. Lampshade damaged. Lots of dings and nicks and general wear. Paint drips on wall. BUT the room was clean. The DO COME IN TO MAKE THE BED AND GIVE NEE TOWELS WITHOUT ASKING. I was horrified to come back and find someone had been in the room, I thought those days were passed. Changing towels without request in the desert seems wasteful and I had confidence work papers in the room so would not have allowed entry had I known they did that.

"I think there is better"
Eric H, 01 Février 2023

Stayed 4 nights here, one night was on a voucher, other 3 we paid, on short notice booking so non- refundable. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The stay was ok, good location, nice size room and comfy bed but... The condition of the room and certain areas of the property are very disappointing for money paid. We were going to talk to the manager until we realized this seems like an ownership/Best Western Inspection issue and we felt that moving rooms wouldn't really change much hopefully the owners or BW management will see/read this and make some changes. It appears any repairs made have been made by those that don't care or by those that have no idea what they are doing. Items in the room that should be noticed by staff have not been. The paint job in our room looks like it was done with no intent to be made without going onto other walls or areas, Paint on the hallway floors outside is all over the walls. The toilet seat was basically falling off, the bathroom fan made lots of noise until it had run for 5 min (maybe warmed up), the tub/shower did not drain, shower head leaked and had low pressure compared to the sink, patches and paint over holes/scrapes in many locations (no filling holes before painting). It appeared they moved the towel rack in the bathroom at some time but just left the old holes for all to see. The controls on the air conditioner were worn off/gone completely. All the main hotel room doors open to the exterior (no hallway) and ours had no weather stripping, so the cold/heat could escape or get in, along with any parking lot noise (think a group of Harley riders pulling in/heading out). Outside at the pool area grass is growing up at the corners of walls and floors. It looks like they repaired 2 loose tiles on the steps in the pool area deck but just let the grout/cement run down the rest of the stairs. Other areas, water/overflow has run and it has just been left to discolor the walls and dirty the pool deck. There are loose tiles/grout around the pool. Sand /gravel gets on the parking lot and doesn't seem to get swept up/cleaned up. Gardening seems nonexistent. We can only comment on one end of the hotel (pool end) so I'm not sure what the rest is like, but I can't see how this would only be limited to one portion of the hotel. This hotel has everything you could want but needs attention, lots of it. We have never questioned the Best Western's “non-refundable” room purchase in the past, but are going to question it in the future, for what we paid (directly through BW website) and that the property is a “Best Western” we expected more. We won't be returning.

"Convenient Location"
LindaF627, 26 Janvier 2023

We have stayed at Best Western locations many times. We liked the location - centrally for our needs- on this visit. This is an older hotel, but beds were comfortable, breakfast satisfying, didn't use pool/hot tub, but clean and other patrons were using. We will stay here again and recommend to others

"Best is relative"
John C, 17 Janvier 2023

Best Western should be what the name implies, Best for the economical cost. The floor needed to be swept, breakfast was cold and the place needed an upgrade from the 70s and the late 90s poorly installed hard floor. Friends that stayed at Motel 6 had a nicer room.

"Excellent little place"
Keith R, 10 Janvier 2023

The people are nice, beds are clean, the building is a bit rough but seem to be working on it but everything functioned well. The location is great, near downtown and on the way towards the swank areas nestled next to the mountain. Complimentry breakfast is very good, with hot food like sausage and eggs as well as cereals and yogurts as well as drinks of coffee and juice.Amazing value

"Poor Food and Service"
amunoz562, 08 Janvier 2023

Cont breakfast was low quality food. Support staff had personal cell phones blasting and never once put them down to attend to customers or turn off their music. This has been twice at this exact hotel so its a regular thing for them.

"New years"
robertascalise18, 05 Janvier 2023

Very old and unkept motel. Rooms were clean but all paint is peeling, inside and out, and door and door jam were very old and poorly maintained. King bed was nice but room AD/Heater is a very old style and made alot of noice. Walls are like paper. heard things we did not want to hear.

"Rest Stop during travel"
mikebev74, 29 Décembre 2022

We stay at this hotel for the first time as we traveled for the Christmas. We were very pleased with the accommodations and location . We will absolutely return. We had our dog with us, and it was perfect for him as well.

"Dated motel"
travelcookiegurl, 19 Décembre 2022

One of the worst looking BW I've stayed at. Room had stained couches that I wouldn't even leave my purse on. Beds, while clean, gave me genuine paranoia about bedbugs. Dusty corners, shabby carpets, tiny bathroom. Breakfast super basic w uninterested server/overseer. Far from anything in a dead part of town. The place had a classic horror movie vibe where a bunch of clueless teens are taken out one by one. Can do much better hotelwise.

"Avoid at all costs - absolutely disgusting!"
GlobeTrotting761041, 13 Décembre 2022

If you insist on staying, check in during night hours so you can't see how disgusting this property is. It is so old and decrepit, felt unsafe, my door had 1/4-1/2" gaps all around it that would let air and bugs in and did not shut properly, no sprinkler system in the room (I didn't search the rest of the property), popcorn ceilings, coats and coats of paint to try and cover the age of the room, it was literally awful.

"Great Best Western"
kimlR1203FH, 10 Décembre 2022

One of my favorite Best Westerns. Super friendly staff. The room was super clean & comfy. Great lighting in the bedroom & bathroom. Nice breakfast by the pool. Downtown Palm Springs is very close. Very relaxing stay.

"Best Western At Palm Springs"
AudreyB72, 20 Novembre 2022

The hotel is very dated, entrance to room was very grundgy, breakfast was in a cold courtyard by the pool, food was bland, powdered eggs were disgusting and there were not a lot of food choices. Desk clerk was not at all friendly and the rooms are dingy.

"Average hotel"
U218BMchristiana, 17 Novembre 2022

The hotel was ok, it seemed to be in a good area, and was well priced relative to other options. The internet worked fine but the breakfast was limited for options and no condiments, and the TV was difficult to watch

"Don't Stay Here"
Nancee21, 16 Novembre 2022

Room – This is the worst BW that I have stayed at. It is like a pig with lipstick and makeup because it looks nice from the outside but is still a pig. You walked into the room, and it looks the person that painted had no clue what they were doing. You can see every roller mark, the door to the bathroom should be removed because it blocks the door to outside. I would think one of those rolling barn door still would work here. Also, the front door has an automatic close feature on it, but it doesn't close all the way. I rushed in to use the bathroom when I first got in, and I figured it would be closed but as I headed out later it is still open like an inch. This is supposed to be a wheelchair room and it seems they tried very hard to make it that way except it is a very small room, the bath/shower does not have any railings to help lift in and out of the tub. The shower has great water pressure, when I turned it on the spray part of the nozzle was working and it sprayed all over the floor. I fixed it before too much water got on the floor The air conditioner is hooked up to a box in the wall that has all sort of black on the edges and I didn't have a sore throat before I got there and now, I do. I went out on Sunday evening, got back to the room at 11ish and went to bed, at 12:30 am, I get a call from the front desk asking if I was calling out for help, I say no, but it woke me up and made me feel nervous for another hour before I could sleep again. Then first thing in the morning I get another call – just one ring – no one knows what room I am in, so I figured it was the front desk again, so I call the front desk to see what's up, all the FD Clerk could tell me was that he just got on and didn't call me. No let me check, no nothing, the phone was an old office phone and after the morning call it started blinking like there was a message but there wasn't one. I walked down to the Front Desk on Monday to discuss the issues – got the same guy that doesn't know anything and the Maintenance man was there and he came a little later and tried to fix the door, he got it a bit better but it still doesn't close completely automatically, he also replaced the phone but it was still blinking and he couldn't get it to stop so he got some electric tape and covered it so I didn't have to see it all night. Housekeeping – The first morning I asked the Housekeepers not to go in my room and to wait till Tuesday when I leave – they don't need more work. Well, I came back later, and they made my bed and took the trash. The room did not have a privacy notice in it I have stayed at over 40 BW's since October last year – more if your go back farther. There have been a few that I didn't like and a couple that have scared me. This one is both. I will never stay at this hotel again! Breakfast – Now I have a bad knee which is why I always ask for a ground floor toom – the breakfast room is up a flight of stairs by the pool. There is another place that says breakfast room, but it seems the employees use it as a break room that is not upstairs. The servers at breakfast were not welcoming at all and it wasn't until I had talked to the maintenance man that they are supposed to let the guests know that there are Waffles as well. One of the servers was just sitting in a separate room that had a window out to the food area playing on her phone. All the guests that I saw there were busing their plates. They had a tip jar here, but for once I didn't tip, and usually my gripe is that the servers deserve tips and some BW's don't let them have a tip jar. The eggs were watery and there weren't that many options. I have been waiting for the review request that BW always sends out the day of check out and still haven't gotten one so this is why I am posting on Tripadvisor instead of on the BW website. They know I am going ro write a bad review.

"Adequate hotel"
E7354APevap, 14 Novembre 2022

Although the hotel needs updating it reasonably priced and close to downtown and the airport. We didn't take in the complimentary breakfast but I having it around the pool did sound like a nice touch. I would stay here again

"If you have a choice, sleep on the street....."
El G, 19 Octobre 2022

We needed a place to stay in a hurry, for a Fri to Sat stay, this place was almost $200 but we were in a bind. We realize weekends cost more, but definitely not worth the price. The pictures of the room on the website show a desk chair, there was none in the room. The pictures also didn't show the big ugly A/C unit, it was conveniently left out of the pictures. IF I had to say one good thing, it would be the coffee at the continental breakfast, but the bacon was paper thin and we couldn't eat the eggs because they didn't look like any eggs we'd ever seen. I would say the room in this hotel reminds me of the worst rooms in Tijuana when I used to crash there as a teen, but I don't want to insult Tijuana rooms.

"Comfortable, clean and reasonable rates , great pool"
Cindy C, 20 Septembre 2022

Wonderful pool, and room. Very friendly staff, will definitely stay here again. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Breakfast was served out on the pool deck so it made for a great way to start the day. I love this place

"Sept. 17th Stay"
Cheryl C, 19 Septembre 2022

Hotel was outside of the main downtown area so a car is needed to go anywhere interesting or to nice restaurants. Hotel was in shoddy condition, way overdue for renovations. Room was comfortable, breakfast okay but beautiful breakfast setting by the pool overlooking the hillside. Pool dirty, hot tub had cigarette ashes in and around it and cigarette butts littered the area. Would not stay again.

"Great place that is pet friendly"
jamiegareyc, 20 Août 2022

We've stayed at this property twice now and each time it was great. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. They are one of the very few properties in the valley that welcome 3 pets in a room, and have pet friendly rooms on the ground floor. The rooms are older, but are well maintained and very clean. They even have a nice breakfast out by the pool area. The hotel is perfectly located at the bottom of the main drag, near the "curve", so food options are plentiful and everything else is within 15mins drive. I highly recommend this property, especially if you are traveling with pets.

"Nightmare"
Pathfinder621422, 09 Août 2022

It was a nightmare the room they put is in was like a serial killer basement the hardware on the door was falling off it was dirty and disgusting. Our dog hated. The only thing that worked was the blow drier. The toilet plugged up and they do not have maintenance they put us in another room. Not as bad but disgusting. They serve breakfast and we did not attend as we were thrown off and traumatized by the whole experience. I would not let my worse enemy stay there.

"24 hour pool"
mcanela1990, 18 Juillet 2022

This is the only pool I know of that is open 24 hours. The pool is decent size and not too deep. 5 feet max. Breakfast is great also with variety of offerings. (Scrambled eggs, sausage bacon, yogurt, bagels, bread, coffee, juice, cereal (lucky charms, cheerios, raisin bran). They also have someone available to make you waffles at your request! You are able to grab anything freely as it doesn't get very packed. There is enough seating for everyone. You can also eat by the pool. The rooms are decent. This is definitely my go to place when coming to Palm Springs. You can also check in and out on the app and request amenities. Only downside is the ice machine is never working on the 2nd floor.

"good, but..."
davitdon, 04 Juillet 2022

Don't know why this hotel rates only 2 stars, its cleanliness, helpful staff, working elevator, pool, and hot breakfast is included. Speaking of breakfast, they got bagels, toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, orange juice, coffee, and fresh fruit but... they should stop using powder eggs for scrambled eggs; otherwise, a solid 5 stars for your money!

"Decent property"
Bearteacher1964, 04 Juin 2022

Decent property but it's looking a little ragged and worn down. Carpet was dirty. Shower head leaked and we had to put a towel over it. I also didn't like that the air conditioner was located in a spot where it blew directly on the bed but didn't cool the rest of the room very efficiently. It's in a convenient location and it was ok for a few nights.

"Nice Get-A-Way"

Cleanliness of a room is important and we were not disappointed. Bathroom was spotless! Room quiet; slept extremely well. Very nice daily Continental breakfast. Good central location backs to side of mountain.

"Great location in Palm springs"
Dean H, 13 Mai 2022

Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast served pool side. Short drive to stores and walking area in downtown Palm Springs...less than 2 miles. Pool area is nice. Nice and quiet at nice for a good nice sleep.

"Extremely Rude employees and very run down hotel"
Lynda T, 21 Avril 2022

From the minute we got to the hotel the front office guy was rude and it carried out though the hotel. The hotel is run down and just not clean. Stacy (front desk) was the only one who talked nice rooms didn't seem clean and they blamed it on a busy weekend. Overall this whole hotel needs a remodeled. Toasters don't even work at the breakfast location.

"Not quite what BW is supposed to be"
Arnold_Ziffel, 13 Avril 2022

Loyalty points got me here and price. BW is particularly generous with their points as they don't take them if you go to sleep for a little while. I would call the BW brand misleading for this property. It's not good enough to wear that label compared against the countless properties I've used across this nation. The problems I did report to the staff did not get prompt attention. I would grade my overall stay as D-. The pictures you see are true and correct when it was young, and it's not even close to young. A whole lot of cheating everything about the business is what you get. I'll call this “Best Western cheats the customer inn.” They leave the trash gondolas outside full of trash over night. Of course this attracts homeless varmints going through the trash late at night, and they knocked my rear view mirror off my car on the way. I went out very early for breakfast only to catch someone emptying a whole gondola onto the ground. Not only does this look bad it attracts the wrong kind of people to the property and subsequently puts my car and belongings at a higher risk than a property that puts the trash in the dumpster at night. What kind of hotel stores garbage in gondolas next to the stairwell over night? Bad idea and it looks bad to boot. This place is OLD but they have done a fairly good job of keeping the place current. Still, first impressions are everything, and they have allowed the non-skid paint on their walkways to begin peeling in huge hunks. It looks terrible, quite frankly, and says something about the willingness to spend on the property in other places. The stuff is under extreme use rolling heavy carts over it every day and of course its not going to stay there very long using it that way. It should never be allowed to deteriorate this much before getting some paint and covering that up. In the bathroom there is mold around the tub. The caulk should have been cut out and replaced long before this. The tub has an anti-scald valve installed backwards where the hottest temp is closest to off rather than the coldest. These valves cost a lot more than conventional and to buy that and install it backwards is an act of insanity. They are an attempt to idiot proof the world and when you install it wrong it makes risk even higher. The tub itself has worn out as all of it's slick surfaces are rough. Every dirty foot that has set in it left dirt behind such that six days in here leaves the bottom of it black. It requires daily cleaning at this age and I got none. The room also has one of those fake bathroom fans that only makes noise and circulates the same old air around the room. The engineer who invented that should be fired, and the product should never have been sold. It does absolutely nothing but use electricity and add noise but it does not clear odors or humidity from anything. Why buy it in the first place? This one worked as designed adding no value, adding noise, using electricity, and stirring the same old air in a circle. It's another place in this building that's a lie attempting to look like the guest is getting something they are not. In my room is an unsafe table lamp which I just unplugged. The socket came loose from it's holder and leaves line voltage exposed. Those things are never used in a hospitality room for safety reasons. Hotel table lamps always have switches on the base but not at this place. The lighting in this room is bizarre for today's standards. There are switches in here that it's not obvious what they were for years ago, and by today they seem to control nothing. There is a niche where the bed was intended to go with reading lights and a switch by the bed. Across the room are a short span of track lights from the era where that was the whiz bang thing everyone wanted. The way these were installed they are stuck with them unless they are willing to deal with drywall repairs too. They do work but the reason for them has gotten away. The bed was turned 90 degrees and the lamps leaving the head board fixtures light up nothing important. Very curious why the bed was moved in the first place.. I'm sick of Covid as an excuse for cheating the customer of value but the whole industry has jumped on that idea and I doubt we will ever get back to full service. The housekeeping around here has not been adequate as they didn't even ask if I want it. It provokes me to ask for every day in revenge even though I don't really need it. Lowering your costs and blaming it on covid while charging the same rates does not work for me and I will respond by using supplies needlessly and adding cost intentionally more than I otherwise would because I didn't get a choice, and I don't believe they are doing anything more than putting up stickers claiming to be doing marathon cleaning, when they aren't doing any cleaning. I'm not going to give them any prizes for doing nothing and telling me it's helping me. The door lock is a mortise style and the holes that hold it are stripped. It swings out any time the door is opened and requires coaxing it back in place to get it closed and locked. That's one of many clues to the age of this place that ought to be remedied. The sheer curtains that still let light in are sun rotted and shredding while the black out curtain on the inside of it has holes in it big enough to let a lot of light in. It's quite obvious they were bought in the 80's and should have been gone by the 2000's. This kind of thing leaves the guest feeling like this is a ratty establishment, and I think they pretty much earn that title. The free breakfast was surprising. They offer those fake scrambled things intended to look like eggs, plenty of paper thin bacon or sausage links and a suitable amount of breads but no sweet breads, and coffee or juice. I've seen a lot less for free breakfast and this one is better than a lot of them but everyone should have at least a cinnamon roll. There was an employee on the flat grill and I didn't ask if they would make fried eggs or pancakes but it looks like they intend to offer free cooked to order breakfast with a little twist. The most annoying thing in this room is a “clean” TV remote designed for hospitals that has no option to use the alternative TV inputs. I don't know if they are just being cheap, or if they want to prevent me from using the full function of the TV. They are not getting what they wanted. I went out and bought myself a full universal remote and I will definitely leave this room with it set somewhere that maintenance has to come out and correct it for the next guest in revenge. I need the TV for a laptop monitor and I'm not going to accept this and walk away. This is not acceptable quality by any stretch of the imagination… It's a surprising fact how many things life has to offer us that can be smoked leaving no trace of smoking behind yet a smidgen of tobacco can't be hidden at all and the evidence very stubborn to get rid of when we actually want it gone. Oh you bet I smoke everything but tobacco in the room in an act of defiance and a belief it's a right to use this space any way I want when I'm paying for that use. When trying to seal their smoke detector I learn I am safe from accidentally setting it off. The battery is totally dead and it's a home model not intended for use in a public building. Were there a fire this is a useless piece of plastic screwed to the ceiling in an effort to get it past the inspectors with no concern at all for the guest dying in a fire. While I'm not running off screaming this is a complete abandonment of fire safety practices REQUIRED in lodging properties. It's the wrong model and it's not working even if it was correct. Thanks again for nothing; this property is not good enough for the brand its wearing. I do like to write hotel reviews and the length of this one is proportional to my length of stay and how many things I had a chance to see that I shouldn't have. Other GM's from other brands have let me know they don't value this much detail and that just motivates me to be sure to talk about everything wrong. If there's anything I wrote about they don't like it's also something no guest should have been exposed to. All anyone needs to do is hide it then I won't have any input material to comment on. Holiday Inns used to tell everyone the best surprise is NO surprise. They were not kidding. This place is full of surprises the franchise police need to see. The Brand is being cheated of what it's supposed to represent at this property and I can't recommend this place mostly because it's almost what it's supposed to be but they are charging me for all of it. The BW brand is a big lie as it always has been that it's a chain. Every darned one of them is privately owned and the brand represents a standard of quality. They grew up out of WWII in an era where a traveler had no idea what he is getting. The better properties banded together with a commitment to high standards. This property is committed to get your money and do the least they can to get by the inspectors and they are not remotely interested in spending to maintain but will spend the least to try and defeat the purpose for the brand. I despise companies or people who's philosophy is to see how little they can get by with. For that reason I won't come back here, and I'd warn anybody this is a portion of what BW intends to be. Old hotels get sold to independent owners because they age out and can't meet standards. This building is too old to be a Best Western and it would cost too much to bring it up to new. Caveat Emptor.

"great value in Palmspring"
anthdancer, 11 Avril 2022

BW is at the southern end of town but still close to all the main attractions. While this was rated only as a 3 star hotel, it has one of the nicest pool area of hotels in this category. The pool area was ringed by palm trees and away from main roads so it is quiet and secluded. The pool and the hot tub were large and the umbrella and lounge chairs are of good quality. The breakfast area located at the pool make the experience very resort-like. We were a family of five and BW at Palmsprings is the only hotel that offered a two story two bedroom accommodation that fits our family. It even comes with a full kitchen and living and dining area. This is rare and for the price we paid, an excellent value.

"CONCISE SUMMARY: DONT GO"
Jeffrey L, 04 Avril 2022

Yes, it's well like located not far from town. And yes there's a nice shoe of the mountains from the 24 hour heat pool. But, but, but. The hotel clerk seem to really hate his job. He was civil more than even polite or helpful. The room is very modest with many imperfections and outdated furniture floor etc. Hallways are outdoor concrete floor. To feel blankets and too thin. Pillows are small and very uncomfortable. Not recommended.

"Rundown and subpar"
jamielharker, 29 Mars 2022

Absolutely crappy hotel - staff was kind, and AC almost functioned, but everything else was mediocre to crummy. Toiletries were only half full, there were no proper full-sized towels, everything was dingy (though not outright dirty), the pool must not be cleaned frequently as it was full of dead bugs. Poor value for price.

"Over-rated"
Virginia D, 28 Mars 2022

Required last minute booking. Mis-advised by BW rep re: this property. Charged $285. per night for an $89.property, or worse. In my opinion, this motel should not be accepting guests until they complete their renovation/maintenance. Cannot believe Best Western lends it's name to this property.

"Old hotel - in serious need of refresh"
LauraH482, 25 Mars 2022

This hotel doesn't live up to Best Western standards. Elements are good - the pool! , good shower, bed was comfortable, everything in the room worked. Bad - the ceiling wasn't finished after repairing a roof leak, the trim around the sink and baseboards was slapped up - obviously not professionally installed, wall coverings old, linens need to be replaced, tiny towels. The exterior corridors are noisy - we heard every, single person who rolled their suitcase down the walkway. Don't ever get the room next to the elevator - you'll feel like you're sleeping in a bowling alley.

"Nice Hotel"
Martin M, 23 Mars 2022

Although the room was a bit dated it was clean and everything worked, loads of TV channels to choose from, it's well located and the breakfast was good, the check in was easy, plenty of free car parking

"ripped off"
sjhewitt7007, 13 Mars 2022

Very dissatisfied. No running water available due to broken water main which they told me AFTER I completed checking in. Drove across desert and no shower, couldn't even wash my hands! No luggage carts. No bottled water provided. No ice.

"Needs some love"
Robert A, 12 Mars 2022

Great location, nice pool area, good sized room, but rooms are tired, repairs slipshod, carpets need deep cleaning. Our feet were dirty from walking on room carpet. Nice breakfast by the pool. Easy check-in, check-out.

"Needs updating"
t0nyg44, 27 Février 2022

The bathroom had water damage in the shower ceiling and damaged tiles. The shower water pressure was extremely low and made it difficult to wash your hair. The rooms need fixing up and updating. Breakfast was mediocre.

"Beautiful Pool / Breakfast Area"
Morgan J, 25 Février 2022

Although the man working at the front desk was very unfriendly, the view from the pool was great and the breakfast was fresh and good! Outdoor corridors are a little weird, however we did feel safe and the rooms were clean, with plenty of towels.

"Could have been better but not real disappointed."
H684DQkimr, 15 Février 2022

I rented my room here and my overall experience was just alright. Front desk was courteous and helpful *would have liked to been told ahead of time about the $100 additional room deposit charge* The price I paid for the 6 nights was more than expected for a BW. My room was clean. Bed was comfortable *could have used an extra blanket tho* Bathroom was clean, but walls looked unfinished. The shower was awesome! LOVED the pressure! Shower head leaked but if u twisted it the right way it was just a drip. I had a Large King room and maybe the Bed could have been arranged differently, because the TV wasn't big enough to put it on the desk across the room. Maybe if you put it on the wall next to the bed, It would be easier to see. Just a suggestion to Management. Now, if your looking for a view, this isn't the room. The window faces the wall of the hotel behind BW. No front window either. I liked the in room coffee, the microwave and fridge, I didn't use, but liked that if I needed to it was there. The free breakfast was good. Liked it poolside. The choices were adequate. Overall noise level was low. Parking was ok. All in all I had a good stay in Palm Springs and despite the small cons of the room, I had a good stay.

"In need of update"
2gk2022, 08 Février 2022

The property and rooms are not up to the Best Western standard. They are seriously in need of a refresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish I had been aware of the extra $100.00 deposit required at check-in though.

"Love the Best Western Plus Las Brisas"
Ruth M, 04 Février 2022

Las brisas Palm Springs is a touch of Old Hollywood! Great reception area! Very welcoming! Wonderful, friendly staff! Beautiful pool with a bar and food service! Loved the entertaining bartender! So fun! Rooms were good! We will definitely stay here again when we come to Palm Springs! Thankyou to the staff and the great ambience❤️❤️

"Not the best Best Western and it wasn't cheap either! Walking distance to some restaurants, coffee shops, bars."
dwfr, 25 Janvier 2022

PROS: ~Woman on check-in desk was friendly. ~Complimentary outdoor parking. ~Five minutes to downtown by car. ~Restaurants, bars and coffee shop within a few minutes walking distance. ~Room offered a safe, coffee machine, iron/board, mini-fridge, microwave, complimentary toiletries/shower cap/sewing kit, flat screen Samsung TV. ~Complimentary basic breakfast including oatmeal packets, cold cereal, plain bagels, toast, bananas (Although brown spots galore!) yogurt, hot items, juices, coffee, hot chocolate (no tea). Breakfast was outdoors near the pool, which was good for Covid. (Jan '22) ~Complimentary wifi ~Pool and hot tub available which we didn't use. ~Very comfortable mattress. CONS: ~Hotel generally shabby. (See photos). Things like hallway floors needing patching, shoddy paintwork in rooms, many scratches on wood furniture, chair material shredded, mold around bath, shoddy workmanship, used Q-Tip found in bathroom. ~Room smelled musty -- we immediately opened a window. ~This was one of the least expensive hotels we could find, but it wasn't that cheap at around $183 a night. For the standard of the hotel, it should have been more like $110. ~Bath towels were small. ~Plugs for charging on one side of the bed only. ~No soap dish. ~Nobody on desk at check-out -- we left the keys in the box. ~Thin walls -- we could hear the TV next door. General noise level was average -- some street noise from cars and doors being closed. We slept with earplugs. ~Breakfast wasn't finished being put out when we arrived at breakfast first thing. (7am) All in all, a very average to below experience.

"Below BW expectations"
leeA7692IH, 18 Janvier 2022

Old, damaged decor. Shotty, third world workmanship in the room and bathroom. Cleanliness was fine. I just expect more from BW. Seems like they purchased a distressed hotel, and just hung their sign up. Keep your expectations low at this location

"No power, no hot water, no refund"
imanuelchen, 12 Janvier 2022

We booked a room for 2 nights. The first night, there was a power outage. And for the entirety of the stay, there was no hot water. The front desk told us we could get a refund but we had to go through Expedia since we booked the stay from there. However, Expedia is now telling us that the hotel is refusing to refund us. I understand that unexpected things happen, but ultimately these issues were with the property and not the customer, and yet we are the ones suffering for it when we're the ones paying Best Western for a comfortable stay. Though overall we thought the property was fine for the cost, this sort of service is unacceptable.

"Close to hiking trails, restaurants and businesses"
Sightsee18974715263, 07 Janvier 2022

The front desk clerk was friendly, kind and offered us our choice of floors so we took the 1st floor, room 112. We added a nights stay to our visit and he brought new cards to our room. The room was clean and quiet, the room and surrounding areas were very outdated and the furnishings didn't seem to fit the room but we were able to tell that they are in the process of remodeling. We were happy to have a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was served outside by the pool which we appreciated due to COVID, it included eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals, yogurts, juices, coffee, breads and they provided gloves for serving yourself.

"Disappointing Stay"
Nomad44656454551, 29 Décembre 2021

This motel used to be awesome! Not anymore. Frugal breakfast, no hot water. These are the most important things- and they are blowing it. I heard other guests in the hallway making fun of Best Western.

"Palm spring motel experience"
Gugubillo, 25 Décembre 2021

Outside is not good, no vending machine in whole complex, ice vending machine not working. Staff not friendly. Swimming pool is good but they don't provide extra towels. I asked extra towel for family of 4 but they gave only 2 towels.

"A place to stay!"
dmaclean2, 02 Décembre 2021

Room was large and comfortable. There was no TV guide or instructions on operation or chanel listings and the generic control was very difficult to manage. The WiFi was very weak and not available at the pool deck.

"great place to stay"
H4819RHwills, 27 Novembre 2021

Easy check-in and the breakfast was great. The unit was pretty big, ground floor so it was close to our car. There were a lot of places real close to the property so it was easy to see a lot of the downtown area.

"Sad and Broken"
yvonnea777, 16 Novembre 2021

Bed had metal spring that squeaked all night. Interior of the room was bad: Stain on ceiling, weird lighting, dirty footprint on the bed cover, and the water pressure in the shower was high enough to peal paint.

"Doesn't get much worse than this place."
358gigig, 18 Octobre 2021

Best Western should visit this property, even if it is a franchise, and take their branding name off the place. It is disgusting in many areas. The lobby and common areas on the way to the rooms are like walking through a third world country, dirty hallways, paint stripped off the floor and walls and just generally horrible. The only reason I'm even giving it 2 stars is because the room was just ‘ok' and 2 stars is all the basic, outdated, broken furnishings deserve. The bathroom did look like it had received a minor renovation that had been done to a poor standard overall. Front desk clerk upon evening check-in had zero personality and very robotic customer service. I politely enquired as a Diamond BW member if they had complimentary bottled water, you know, like 99% of other hotels with member elite status, I was given the answer that there were no ‘Diamond' benefits and that the water was $2 per bottle. This place needs to be demolished!

"Worst stay ever"
bridgethogan, 02 Octobre 2021

Upon arrival manager was unwelcoming and dry. Many items brought to their attention during our stay fell on deaf ears. Many homeless come and go on this property which was uncomfortable. Pool was chilly, guess maintenance didn't set for fall hours. Pool area needed maintenance in pool area. Looked like black mold on back wall near pool area with some loose tiles on upper deck pool area. Stairwell light in suite did not work on top of stairs and my spouse fell. This Best Western needs some TLC and perhaps an experienced management team. Took pictures of multiple items that needed repair or adder with finally making a call to corporate, still waiting for their callback. Think twice about this location, sad, we've gone their for many years and it was the worst experience ever.

"Great stay, awesome value"
acmike8, 12 Septembre 2021

Not much to criticize, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the property was quiet. The pool area was very nice, and the free breakfast was better than I expected. Definitely would stay again.

"Nice, clean, and good location!"
ericsN1958DZ, 10 Août 2021

Nice, clean, and good location close to downtown if u dont want to spend the money for BW Las Brisas property. Although this one can be a bit cheaper since it is not the best looking property. Otherwise, its fair and will do aside from the small rooms. Comfy beds and pillows though!

"Terrible!"
Maria H, 20 Juin 2021

This place is horrible. The room was dark and depressing. It didn't feel or look clean. Hairs on the floor, dead moths, live worm ! The water pressure in the shower was pitiful. The pool was dirty , especially after 15 kids and 10 adults showed up last evening- doubt they were staying there. The pool the next morning was cloudy, hair clumps, bandaid, Cheetos… They didn't even spray the pool deck, lots of spilled sticky stuff and gum and who knows what else. It happened to be too hot this weekend , like 115- the AC in the room was old and rickety - sounded like a motor all night with little cooling. Think twice before going here.

"Unbelievable."
carlynn66, 02 Juin 2021

Not even sure how this place is a best western. Hotel toilet had toilet paper, hair, etc upon arrival. Went to front desk to make them aware. The customer service of the front desk made the situation worse with their very un-personable, monotone response, as if this happens all the time. The rooms smelt like musty grossness. The pool was literally the only nice thing about this place. Will not be going back to this location.

"Not great..."
maggiet3232021, 01 Juin 2021

No available wifi. Large cockroaches in the room and hallway. Carpet not to wall with tacks/nails sticking out. Morning coffee was nice and nice sitting area outside by the pool. Disappointing overall...expensive and very run down.

"No frills Dog friendly"
Bonthego, 26 Mai 2021

Needed a fur all friendly place for one night. I suspect they put dogs into rooms that aren't updated or that need work. The carpet was filthy, the ac was on its last leg (loud and smelly), the sheets and towels were clean, shower hot and good pressure. Breakfast was on par for pandemic and price point.

"Terrible"
Crossroadslivin, 20 Mai 2021

My husband & I have traveled full time for 15 years for work. I RARELY write reviews unless they are exceptional or TERRIBLE! This one...AWFUL! This hotel is the most OUTDATED, dinghy, place we have stayed. I even added photos! The name of this hotel does not need the word "BEST" in it @ all.

"Satisfactory, but Needs Improvement"
MsMEGarcia, 10 Mai 2021

Remember when we got our school report cards? That's why I gave this review this title. We're nearing the end of the pandemic in California, May 2021, so some things may be forgiven. However, basic maintenance needs to be done, like the lock chain missing its hook for extra security. What my friend and I liked: 1) close to Downtown; 2) pool/breakfast area is pleasant; 3) nice options at their "grab-n-go" breakfast. We didn't like that 1) the bathtub/shower was slippery, with no grab bars; 2) the clothes hangers and bar were too high; 3) ramp from handicap parking was not near the elevator. Basic amenities they provided were appreciated, like the toiletries, clock, color tv w/remote control, and so were extras, like the mini-fridge and microwave. Still, the owners should provide $$ for maintenance and improvements or it may not pass next time.

"Nice staff, property needs works"
AriS938, 09 Mai 2021

So first, I want to complement the staff working here. They were are very nice and accommodating. We stayed a weekend and immediately noticed that this property is more Motel than Hotel. It was obvious from the minute we walked in that this property needed updating. The rooms were fine but some attention is needed to the basics of a room. The air conditioning in the room did a fine job cooling but the unit was very noisy, our friends had the same experience in their rooms. There were obvious cracks and filling in many places. The rooms also need some serious updating. The property was not kept clean, it is obvious they are under staffed and the property shows it. We saw the same garbage on the floor for the two days we were there. The pool was not cleaned at all and the water was cloudy. The pool area is lacking, at best, with broken chairs and umbrella stands with no umbrellas and garbage left around and not cleaned. I want to underscore that the staff was wonderful, but the owners have let this place go and don't seem have any intention to do upgrades. If you need a place just to lay your head, this will do the trick for this 2 star MOTEL.

"Needs To Be Updated"
Lorna P, 03 Mai 2021

Hotel was the least expensive of all the hotels in Palm Springs. The saying that "you get what you pay for" runs true. The hotel was old and dirty. The carpeted area to our room was filthy and the door had to be pushed closed. Just a nasty place! Hotel is approximately 2 miles from the downtown area where all the excitement is happening. Don't stay here if you want to be in the middle of the fun! Had a hard time getting a Lyft ride back (not enough drivers) so we walked back which took a little over 30 minutes. Some areas during our walk back were very dark with no street lighting. Staff members were really friendly! Best Western needs to upgrade the entire hotel and give your employees a nice place to work!

"Hotel Needs Major Upgrade"
Nancy B, 21 Avril 2021

Upon arrival, the hotel looked okay. The office was dark, so much so that it was difficult to see if there was a clerk behind the plexiglass. When we checked in, I looked over the estimated charges, and questioned the $25 pet fee. Their website indicated a $20 per night pet fee. The clerk only said it was $25 and "they must not have updated their website," which I thought was rude. I asked but he wouldn't honor their posted price. Not a big deal, it's just a matter of principle. I asked for a room away from the main street, which he accommodated. The carpet in the lobby area outside the room was filthy. When we opened the door, it was very dark. The sheer curtain at the window had been torn in several places and looked like it had been badly mended. Other parts of both the sheer and blackout curtains were hanging off the rod. The coffee pot, cups, ice bucket and iron were sitting on the lower shelf of the makeshift closet with no curtain instead of on a counter, the safe didn't work because the batteries were corroded, and the hair dryer was hanging off the wall by two screws and looked like it could fall off completely if you touched it. It appeared that this room hadn't been used in a while given the state of disrepair. The furnishings were old and lighting was poor. We tried to use the TV and the remote wouldn't work. So I called the front desk and he said it should work and tried to walk me through it on the phone. Finally after trying my own hand at figuring it out and another call to the front desk, he asked if the remote was black or white. I said it was black and he told me that it was an old remote and we had to come to the office to get a new one. He didn't offer to bring one to us like another BW Hotel we stayed at. On the bright side, the only things that were decent were the bed and refrigerator (although we did check the bed for bed bugs before laying down to sleep), and the fact that it was within walking distance of a pretty good Mexican restaurant. Otherwise, if you are looking for a Best Western in Palm Springs area, stay away from this one unless you are prepared for the worst.

"Very friendly and helpful staff. But the rooms need some love"
laurenh692, 19 Avril 2021

We stayed overnight 4/17 - 4/18/2021. The room was very clean, but really needs some attention in terms of chipping paint, counters pulling away from the wall, severely torn shower curtain (I honestly can't believe they would put it back up in the condition it was in). Also many guests gathered to get their "to go" breakfast without wearing masks. And it was crowded in there.

"3rd rate Best Western"
donc913, 12 Avril 2021

If you smoke and drink and like to litter the place with you cig butts and beer cans, this is the place for you. Room was filthy, white socks turned black. Top sheets stained. Air conditioner rattled, had to knock on it to stop. Poor workmanship rehab inside room. Graphitti on front sign

"Excellent location"
rlee069686, 29 Mars 2021

Only a few blocks from downtown with many many different experiences for dinning and/or shopping! Walking distance to shop at a variety bouquets. Minutes from many golf resorts. Several shopping outlets within minutes drive!

"Nice but could be better"
Christopher R, 09 Mars 2021

Daily housekeeper is available on request.only.I was okay with that but they should have told me when i checked in.Room clean and nothing fancy. But hotel needs someone to look at the little stuff. Lamp switches needed to be fixed, Lamp shades needed to be cleaned/replaced. Plumbing needs some maintainance attention. Should not take 2 flushed to clear the toilet bowl.

"Decent property"
Bearteacher1964, 15 Février 2021

Great location. Decent facility that, while having some updated features, could benefit from a bit of a facelift. The staff was great; very attentive and responsive. Bedding was comfortable. In all a good experience for the price.

Nomad44656454551, 02 Février 2021

Great Front Desk Staff, Super Clean, Quiet, I am always happy and content here. They are serving a modified breakfast. This is my favorite Best Western in the area. I have stayed in others but return here.

"Bad area"
Janlmark13, 02 Février 2021

Well not the safest area! My car was vandalized at 2am. People milling around like it's 10 in the morning. Very shady area and no security. I'd avoid this place and area. Palm Springs PD won't even come to write report or investigate. Room was clean but very dated.

I have stayed here several times and will continue to stay at this property when I am in this area. The staff is always friendly and professional. The other guest I have met are always pleasant and enjoyable to meet. The pool is always clean and warm and inviting.

"You get what you pay for"
D4727HScharlesm, 06 Décembre 2020

I would recommend avoiding this hotel if you can. It's a great price, but you get what you pay for since everything else in the Palm Springs area is significantly more expensive. My friend and I got a room with 2 beds. The bed sheets didn't appear to be cleaned. When I opened up the sheets to get under the covers for the first time, there were multiple strands of hair scattered about. The sheets were also super uncomfortable and itchy to sleep in. The shower was broken. No water pressure whatsoever. The shower head was loose and the water just fell like a waterfall instead of spraying through the shower head with any water pressure. The shower rod appeared to be bent so curtain would not close all the way. Therefore, the water from the broken shower head would just spray all over the bathroom. I reported all this to the front desk in the morning during checkout and the gentleman didn't appear to give any care about the broken shower. He just gave me an, "I'm sorry about that," as if this is a common complaint he hears often. I wouldn't give much weight to these problems if the customer service was better and more professional. If you want to avoid a shower with no water pressure and piss poor customer service then you should stay elsewhere.

"An expensive motel."
yes4me, 26 Novembre 2020

This definitely feels like a motel. It can hardly be called a hotel. I am sure the hotel got away from a technical point of view, but anyone coming here will not call this a hotel. - $140/night (+$100 deposit) - Slow internet speed: download 14.84 Mbps, upload 5.13 Mbps... when you have a chance to connect - no housekeeping at all - 3 story, no elevator - Door is definitely not sound proof. You will hear everyone passing by. - Everything look old and falling apart. The AC, the lamp, the bathtub, Toilet is ok, but flush very slowly. the desk chair is really uncomfortable, etc... - The hotel is located out of nowhere. There is nothing near by. You will have to drive no matter what. - limited breakfast - came in the room... and it was set to 30C (=86F) - The pictures on yelp must be when the hotel was just built or remodeled. It doesn't look like that at all. + microwave in the room + Laundry available

"Below expectations of Best Western brand"
Califormom, 24 Août 2020

Perhaps you get what you pay for, although the going rates midweek, midsummer, during covid were in general fairly low in Palm Springs. The air conditioner varied between loud and louder all night long. I think I woke up every hour. Second we killed a huge 2-inch beetle on the wall in the evening. (Indeed a first for me in any hotel I've stayed at in this country.) Finally the "to-go" breakfast left a lot to be desired: 2 cereal bars, a danish, a water. Also coffee. I thought they could have put a little more creativity into this. Fruits like apples, bananas, oranges do have some shelf life. So does yogurt. There was an attendant at the breakfast table, so that person could have distributed. Even a bagel or something would have been nice. Not sure if Best Western has decided to go farther downmarket or if it was just this particular property.

"Quiet Comfortable and well located."
Hanna1955, 12 Mars 2020

When in the Palm Springs area I always stay at this motel. The employees seem to go out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The rooms are being refreshed and are always quiet and comfortable. The pool is open 24 hours and is always clean and well. The breakfast out by the pool is a pleasant way to enjoy your morning.

Another great golf vacation in Palm Springs & staying at Best Western Plus S Palm Canyon Dr Palm Springs. Facility & staff great. Location ideal, close to downtown & many many attractons, events & golf courses. Facility is set next to mountain & by pool, with a patio buffet breakfast. Has all the amenities in rooms. But the biggest highlight is the staff who are extremely friendly polite and helpful in all ways, they make you feel very welcome. We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed & will be returning again next year for a prolonged stay.

"Poor Maintenance and Bugs"
U9198BYsharonb, 19 Février 2020

Maid left her hair in the bathtub twice. Carpet poorly installed with staples popping out and a hazard to children. Bugs in the bathroom and when told the front desk only offered a minimal discount with no follow up. Did not even come to the room to see. Also vaccum dust dumped outside our room and not cleaned up for over 3 days.

"Outstanding value!"
darrencS9092BN, 19 Février 2020

Outstanding value! The room was great, the staff was awesome, perfect location, excellent bartender at the swimming pool! We stayed for a three day weekend and would highly recommend best western Palm Springs!

"Great Location"
terrycK9672UY, 10 Février 2020

This property is very nice, although a bit dated, but very clean. The room was very comfortable and roomy. It is close to the downtown area and the Convention Center. Although there was a cheer competition at the Convention Center and some participants were at the hotel, it was extremely quiet. The only downside was the breakfast area. It was outside and normally that would be OK but it was very cold that weekend, even though it had heaters. The area is small and would be nice if the food presentation area was spread out. The food selection was great and the very nice staff kept it filled. We will be staying there again!

"Relaxing "
Maps684050, 29 Janvier 2020

A very nice place to stay in Palm Spring. tucked back against the mountains but close to town, a wonderful staff from front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast attended all went out of their way to be friendly, and helpful. The room was roomy and attractive stocked with all the necessities all at a reasonable price.

"Not worth the money and would never recommend."
jaycon2003, 24 Janvier 2020

We stayed here for my kids lacrosse tournament for a few nights. The first night my child was pricked by a toothpick stuck in bed by his feet. The bed had been made overtop of the tooth pick. The next day the cleaning person left there dirty bucket and scrub brush in our room for us to discover that night when we returned from my kids sports. I informed the front desk person who said he would talk to the manager and gave me an email address for the general manager who I e-mailed with my concerns. No one contacted us in regards to either issue. When we checked out the person I had spoke to at the front desk assured me he had spoke with the manager. We still have heard nothing.

"Not up to BW standards"
WallysworldCalgary, 14 Janvier 2020

Needs a renovation and quickly. Staff was the only bonus in booking a room here. The breakfast was adequate and the location is great if you want to be close to downtown. The coyotes yapping in the mountain directly behind the hotel was an experience.

"Above average room Below average cost"
sincityterry, 14 Janvier 2020

This property is a good value in Palm Springs, nicely located slightly away from the center of town, but quiet, nice, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly, the breakfast selection is about what we expect for a complimentary meal, and the rooms are larger than many similar BW properties. No complaints. Nice stay.

Best Western Inn at Palm Spring locate right beside Palm Canyon drive, about 1.5 miles from downtown Palm Springs, you can ride #111 bus or free BUZZ Trolley to downtown, or ride #111 bus to Palm Desert. Indian Wells, and Indio, both are very convenient for you to go shopping or go sightseeing. The hotel provides continental deluxe breakfast and nice breakfast service outdoor at very beautiful pool area, there are ham or bacon or hamburger meat or sausage, there are banana and orange everyday, toss, bagel, muffin, waffle, and scrambled eggs. Beverage including coffee, juice, milk, yogurt, and cereal. The guest room is spacious and clean, but TV is small. There are several restaurants within walking distance, including Pizza Hut, El Mirasol Cocina Mexicana, Miro's Restaurant, Mr. Lyons, Koffi South Palm Springs, Elmer's Restaurant, to name a few. The hotel is right behind Stein Mart from Downtown Palm Springs, you can take a walk in the morning to Moorten Botanical Garden to enjoy the fresh air in the beginning of the day.

Great location, customer service is wonderful and their free breakfast can't be beat! Thanks for hosting us for 7 nights. Nice place and very friendly staff, efficient too. A LYFT ride was under $7.00 to downtown Palm Springs, but if you choose to walk it's about a 35:00 - 45:00 minute walk. Breakfast is included and the breakfast meats change daily, but there are other choices to eat besides eggs.

"Great Place"
mslade, 09 Décembre 2019

The door to the rooms is from the outside. There is no inner hallway. Check in and out was easy, room clean, bed comfortable and bathroom clean. Breakfast had hot and cold items. Plenty of parking. There is a pool on site. I will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, nice room, comfortable bed, clean, lots of amenities, close to things we were interested in.Nice pool, good breakfast, the WiFi was good, everything in the room worked. We used the microwave and fridge, plenty of closet space.

"Fun in the Sun"
SusanP59, 15 Novembre 2019

We stayed at the Best Western Palm Springs Inn for 5 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast was great and it was so fun to sit outside by the pool every morning where the breakfast was served! Our room was a little outdated, but it was roomy and had everything that we needed. The customer service provided by the hotel was excellent!

"Clean and comfortable"
WYbirdwatcher, 06 Novembre 2019

Clean, comfortable rooms and good service for a reasonable price. One of the closest hotels to the Tramway, which is why I chose it. The breakfast buffet was stereotypical, with limited hot offerings and bread, but was served outside by the pool, so you could relax in some of the early morning fresh air. I stayed two nights and was satisfied with most everything. The room I was in (113) was a bit like a cave, however. It and 112 were in an alcove behind a suite of other rooms, and had no view to the outside. If this bothers you, be sure to check with the desk to get a room with an outside window.

"Inexpensive doesn't mean giving up quality"
RodneyZ27, 28 Octobre 2019

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of service and overall condition of the hotel given the price. I expected much less but got a whole lot more. Great location in North Palm Springs. Highly reccommend to anyone heading that way.

"Affordable and Comfortable"
tsage33, 27 Octobre 2019

This was an affordable alternative to the many expensive resorts and boutique hotels in Palm Springs. You can tell it is a slightly older hotel by the tile or finishes in the bathroom area, but otherwise the furnishings were updated. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and competent.

"Great price for a nice hotel"
danaguilar2, 20 Octobre 2019

Came for a conference that my employer was putting us up in a swanky resort and spa for a couple of nights. However, I wanted to come up a day early and avoid traveling the morning of the conference. The resort my company was paying for the following nights was really pricey, so I was looking for something affordable, but not one of those shady places. BW was a great deal and the hotel was just clean and the employees were very friendly. The bed was actually more comfortable than the resort's. If you are in Palm Springs and need a nice place to stay, but don't want to spend an arm and a leg, this hotel is a solid choice.

"Quiet Comfortable and well located."
Hanna1955, 19 Octobre 2019

I have stayed at this property before and have never had a bad experience. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff is always professional and make you feel welcome and appreciated. I will be staying at this hotel in the future when I am in this area.

"Weekend getaway"
Melissa B, 14 Octobre 2019

This was a weekend getaway for the hubby and I. We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. The hotel room was very roomy. The room had a microwave and a fridge. The bed was comfortable. The pool area was nice. You are able to bring your drinks and snacks to the pool area. The breakfast in the morning by the poolside was relaxing and satisfying. They even had the fire place outside going during breakfast. The towles were a little rough. The a/c was a little loud. But not bothersome. The emplyees were helpful and friendly. We will defintly stay here again.

"Just ookk"
Christo O, 16 Septembre 2019

This was a quick overnight trip and we did not require much. The hotel is fine for a one night stay. The a/c unit in the room was noisy and should get some attention. This is the way with all older hotels where they have a piece of junk trying to cool the room down. The room was redone but the hotel forgot the a/c unit.

"Great value "
846louiset, 24 Août 2019

Stopped here for a couple of nights. Room was nice, quite small to others we have stayed in on this road trip. Allowed to check in early which was a nice bonus. It's about a 20min walk into Palm springs so either Uber/drive up into town as it's a nice and toasty walk!! There is a KFC and Pizza Hut close by if you didn't want to walk into town for food/drinks. There is also a shop across from the hotel if needed. Free parking on site, WiFi included. There is good AC but we couldn't have it on over night as it kept squeaking. Great value for what we wanted whilst in the area.

"very good place to stay"
1l3, 16 Août 2019

I was very happy to stay here for the night. I had no complaints . the room was quiet the bed was comfortable and the AC kept me cool while it was 120 degrees outside. the staff was friendly and receptive. good value for the money.

"Excellent customer service during a stressful time"
NIKKI B, 07 Août 2019

I was in Palm Springs to purchase some real estate and as per usual the printer in the lobby did not work with W-Fi nor did it have a USB cable port. This is not unusual. I don't have much succcess with printers in hotels. Anyway, the general manager Ana Aguilar and her stafff went above and beyond the usual service by printing and scanning many documents for my real estate deal. I will be forever grateful and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Palm Springs now. You can't find a better location The prices are great. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is plenty of space to lay down your belongings and plenty of hangers. The breakfast had lots of options and the hot food was fresh and tasty. I now have my mid-century dream home and I owe a lot of my success to Best Western hotel staff.

"Great bargain for your money "
usmcpaizwife, 23 Juillet 2019

Went here for a weekend getaway. Rooms were nice and house keeping was polite and efficient. Loved the free breakfast, not just a continental breakfast. It had fresh ready to order waffles, eggs and all. Favorite part was the pool is 24hrs. and clean. Would definitely go again

"Great value"
JaneEgashira, 23 Juillet 2019

Excellent value. Bed was comfortable. Short drive to downtown Palm Springs. Basic, clean, safe, no frills, well run hotel. Very quiet, off of main road. Steinmart one block away. Delicious expensive unique traditional Japanese restaurant nearby called Kiyosaku. Try the three seaweed salad. Edible art.

"Changed"
vegas19052018, 22 Juillet 2019

We have been visiting this Best Western for over 30 years. The pool is great and the free buffet breakfast is very good, clean and well staffed. On our last visit the desk clerk was not what I would call friendly or helpful. This was a surprise because in the past the staff was always polite and helpful. The light cover over the sink was full of dead bugs and the A/C was very loud. They did clean up area separating the hotel next door and the landscape in general. Will go again. They need to remind their staff to smile.

"Average Best Western"
mawamusa, 21 Juillet 2019

Check in was reasonably easy although lone clerk was interrupted by phone calls at least twice while checking me in. Room was clean and well appointed. Wall air conditioner was rather loud and turned on and off all night. At 3:23 I finally had to turn it off for the night.

"Good and Bad"
Z8491CFkarenk, 18 Juillet 2019

I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is in a good location close to downtown Palm Springs and is quiet at night, being just off the road. The pool area is lovely and having the breakfast out there in the morning is a real treat. The breakfast was very nice, so hot food and everything was laid out well. The rooms are ok but we had a very noisy (and I mean unbearable) air conditioner which was too close to the bed (freezing the person next to it) and we did not sleep at all due to its noise and cutting in and out all night. We did try and move rooms but the one in the next room we were offered was worse. Liked the hotel overall but the noisy A/C and lack of sleep makes it a pretty average hotel for me

"Nice and Quiet with Hillside Backdrop"
Diane D, 15 Juillet 2019

I liked the hotel because it was located along a hillside where no other buildings were blocking the view of the surrounding landscape. We had a special treat as we parked the car: a pair of California Quail emerged from under a bush along the edge of the parking lot and they had at least five chicks following them! Parking was a little bit challenging as we were towing a 20-foot trailer; we had to take up several parking spots to accommodate the truck and trailer and the backing area was narrow but we got it on. Frederick at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. He even had to come to our room to help us get the TV remote working; it apparently had to be programmed a special way. The room wasn't anything particularly special but was clean and comfortable; it was nice to have the refrigerator too. There was also a safe but we didn't need to use it. It's great that they allow pets as we were traveling with a cat. We both enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi in the evening and the morning. Breakfast was included with the room and there was the option of having the ladies there make us fresh waffles, which were delicious. There were also many other cooked breakfast offerings as well as yogurt and fruit. We wish we could have stayed until checkout and enjoyed the place a little longer but we had made reservations for the 9:30 tour of Cabot Pueblo Museum in nearby Desert Hot Springs.

"Solid Value"
Stickfam1, 07 Juillet 2019

This is not a new facility. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Nice, poolside breakfast. We had six adults and they had a two bedroom upstairs suite that was reasonably priced and so nice to visit!

"Nice"
dolphinboy1, 06 Juillet 2019

Stayed here in late June for a few days on a visit to palm Springs. The Hotel is nicely positioned, the reception staff friendly and polite. I am a Diamond Member and although i was offered a better room, I was not upgraded, however, I decided not to pay extra and was more than happy with our room. Breakfast is light but complimentary by the pool which is nice. The staff here are all very nice, although on the last morning, going for breakfast, we did say the usual good morning to the server but was what we thought totally ignored. On closer inspection we noticed she was plugged in to her iphone. Not very professional. However, i would stay here again and would recommend it

"Pleasant visit"
Geekgrl, 24 Juin 2019

I stayed for 1 evening over the weekend and it was a pleasant stay. The checkin was a slight hiccup as they couldn't find my reservation by my name. But once given the confirmation number it was a breeze after that. I did enjoy the little welcome bag (2 bottles of water, some peanut butter cracker sandwiches and cookies). The complimentary breakfast wasn't anything fancy but there were a few hot items (scrambed eggs, made to order waffles and a rotating protein). The a/c worked great in the room and some basic toiletries were provided. My only real compliance and why the 3 stars instead of 4 was the elevator was not functioning. Normally I wouldn't care that much for the inconvenience but I suffered a bad sprain 2 weeks prior to my visit. It is still healing and still somewhat painful to walk on. So I had a bit of trouble using the 2 flights stairs while carrying my luggage to and from my room.

I have stayed at this property before and have always been treated with the utmost respect and hospitality. It is a older property but well maintained. It is always quiet and secure. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Hotel its self is fine its clean, has a very nice pool & hot jacuzzi which backs onto the mountains. Great breakfast is provided in the mornings. It's a bit tired though could do with a make over. The nets in the rooms were very dirty & could do with changing. Staff were very pleasant.

Paul D, 28 Mai 2019

MY wife and I have stayed at several Best Westerns and they all maintain a standard for mid price hotels that do not disappoint. The front staff was courteous, the rooms clean and the bed very comfortable. The morning breakfast by the pool was a plus and had all the goodies you'd expect.

"Run down and dirty"
Curious39241130439, 11 Mai 2019

Please see previous comments. This hotel needs an entire renovation. It was not a pleasant experience. Carpets were dirty, walls of rooms were dirty, bathroom floor was dirty, heater/AC unit was hanging off the wall:(

"Frequent visitor."
uksunseeker_11, 11 Avril 2019

I have stayed at this Hotel many times before. If I wanted pure luxury with a magnificent “Feast” for breakfast and an Olympic standard swimming pool - I would have gone to stay at a Hilton or a Hyatt!! This hotel offers a 24 hour outdoor pool with a complementary breakfast with some hot food items available for 3 hours every morning - if it's cold there are heaters provided and also an indoor area to eat it! An old property, but constantly being repaired or improved. The reason I come back is that I travel alone - I want a clean, safe room with friendly helpful staff that make my stay very pleasant. That is exactly what I get here - every single visit. That is why I come back for an extended stay not once, but twice every year. I am a “tight Fisted” English man that likes value for money - which is exactly what I get from staff that are very helpful and more friendly that in the more expensive chains! I will be back soon for more of the same!

"For what we paid two months early and on line, it was worth all the disappointment about this Best Western"
Blooms65, 28 Mars 2019

It pays to book ahead of time especially during peak season. This hotel is in bad need of some TLC. The place is in dire need of paint and new carpets especially in the hallways and alcoves. The shower was acceptable but we had to laugh as we stayed seven nights and each day when we would return to our room, there was a different shower curtain hanging. Two were off white and badly torn where it connects to the hangers. The dark brown ones made it dark inside while showering and they were also old and not in the best of shape. There was fairly new laminate flooring in the bathroom along with a newer sink and fixture. The towels and bedding were fine accept for the lumpy pillows. The paint in the bathroom was chipped and caulking had been gone over so many times, it looked like an amature had done the work. The bed was comfortable, medium firm which was fine for us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but we were disappointed in the breakfasts. Even though there was plenty of selections, the eggs, bacon and sausage were pretty bad. They serve breakfast outside around the pool under a patio type awning. Even though there was a fireplace and some heaters, not everyone got to select a table near them and it was chilly during the time we were there. All in all, for the price it was doable.

"Worked for us"
JD-94-travels, 24 Mars 2019

This turned out to be a good base for exploring the Coachella Valley. It was relatively quiet because it wasn't in one of the busy areas of Palm Springs. The breakfast had good variety and included meat and eggs. It is served by the pool, which was a ways from our room, but that wasn't a problem for us. The room looked like some things had been updated recently, and it was spacious, but it also was obvious that repainting was needed in several areas. Our window looked into a no-mans land between this hotel and another. For us, that wasn't an issue since we weren't in the room much. Be sure to ask about room location if your view or the ability to open a window is a concern. Our biggest problem with the room (#106) was that the door was sticky and hard to open. I reported it when we checked out, and the staff person was apologetic. If you like Mediterranean food, we highly recommend Evzin, which is just a few blocks from the hotel. A reservation through Yelp is a good idea.

"Good place to stay within walking distance to downtown."
denningj2014, 20 Mars 2019

The location and price of this Best Western works for us. The breakfast area was at poolside with many locations to sit and enjoy the sunshine while eating. Although we did not go into the pool, several people were enjoying the water. Some areas could use upgrading, but overall, it works.

"Unappetizing hotel experience"
SallyM265, 19 Mars 2019

Checked in last Friday around 7:30 pm, get to my room to find a USED TAMPON in the toilet (see photo). I called the front desk and he said "I will let the cleaning crew know." HUH? The building itself is so rundown and unattractive. Looks like it could have been a really nice place back in the day, but the owners have let it go. Nasty fluorescent lighting in dank and grubby outdoor hallways. Just very unattractive hotel. Looks like it hasn't been repainted in 30 years. Although, the GRASS is very nice. The room seemed clean enough, but I was already completely grossed out from the tampon incident. The water pressure in the shower is inline with 3rd world countries. The price was insanely high because of the tennis tournament in town. This place is on par with an average Motel 6. The clientele was not exactly high class. Small kid screaming in the pool during an early morning breakfast. I would never stay here again. Overall lame hotel experience.

"Very tired hotel in Palm Spring not worth the money to stay at it."
Terry U, 15 Mars 2019

This Best Western was one of the worst we have stayed at. The decor was very tied and worn, the breakfast not worth going down for, the bathroom door neither open or closed very well. The lights was very dim and the drapes in the room dirty.

"Poor maintenance and condition of room."
Taster, 27 Février 2019

I went with 4 women and we had requested an adjoining room, or a room close by each other. This was on our reservation form. We checked in and our rooms were very far apart and the weather was freezing at the time in Palm Springs. We asked for other rooms. They stated that the hotel was full, even though we checked in on time. My friend and I could not access our room with the card key after about 20 tries. We were finally able to open the door by literally bashing it with our bodies. We are 77 years old. Once in, we could not open the door to get out and called the desk. They informed us that "maintenance" would be there in the morning. I told them we could not work our door and couldn't get out. A safety issue. They sent "the manager?" and he cleared the lock and gave us new keys. The lock and and the door never worked as we had to quickly, within a second of the green light, push the door very hard with our body. The toilet seat was loose on one side and slid halfway off when using it. The hair dryer was loose on the wall. We reported these issues twice and nothing was done. We also left notes in the room reporting these issues when we checked out. I have stayed at Best Western many times in my travels and have never had issues. We had to stay two nights with these conditions, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice, reasonably priced Inn. We had a great stay here while we were in town for Modernism Week. The continental breakfast also included eggs and breakfast meats. I appreciated the fresh fruit. The pool area is very inviting with a fantastic view of the hills right behind the Inn. Great location, close to all the shopping and restaurants on Palm Canyon

Breakfast on outside patio by pool & spa is a nice touch. I don't know what planet some of the reviewers are from! This place had NO breakfast room, so the choice was to freeze in the pool area or huddle in a converted storage room a long way from food and coffee. Horrible room layout in both of the rooms that our party had. Dark and semi-dirty, shelf falling off the wall in the bathroom. NOT an acceptable place. The staff were all very nice and accommodating, but they only have so much to work with.

"Best Western, more like So So Western"
Navigator45810020831, 10 Février 2019

The staff was friendly and they did their job. The room smelled a little funny as we walked in and took us a little while for us to get use to it. They gave us a room with two full beds even though I am sure that the booking I made stated two queen beds. Overall I really felt I should have used the Motel 6.

"Amazing views"
kellytN7016XY, 09 Février 2019

the pool area and breakfast area were great. the room really needed updates. And new furniture. Lamp was broken, ceiling in the bathroom was falling down and something was leaking in the bathroom. staff were very nice and helpful. pool and hot tub were very clean.

"Very nice hotel"
fehlow, 08 Février 2019

We stayed here for 3 nights. We loved this hotel. The room was large and well equipped and had a view of the mountains and good parking. The breakfast was just ok and it was necessary to sit outside which was challenging on cold mornings. The tv was good and the staff were very nice. The area near the hotel was quiet with good coffee shops. I wish I could have stayed longer.

"A Gem In The Desert"
Nomad44656454551, 07 Février 2019

Older Place but very well kept. Great staff! This Best Western is within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs. I love taking a walk by the mountainside before breakfast. This is my second stay here and I love it!

"A place to stay with a bed, a decent breakfast and a nice pool."
mhays7670, 06 Février 2019

This hotel is definitely not as nice as the pictures make it out to be. We were in town for a gymnastics meet and booked a room here since the pictures looked nice. The beds were hard and the room was definitely dated and older. The room was also awkwardly arranged with the TV on a dresser facing the wall. The pool area was nice and they had breakfast out on the patio by it. However the little birds in that area like to swoop down and eat the food on your plates if you get up for a second or even by the dispensers. The staff was very nice. If you just need a place to crash it will work but if you want to spend some time in your room or a softer bed, I would look elsewhere.

"Convenient and quiet location"
Connie C, 04 Février 2019

The hotel is older and needs some TLC and/or updates. That said, it was quiet and an excellent value. Includes a hot breakfast. The receptionist, at checkin was curt -- as a BW Rewards member, I had the choice of a bottle of water (specifically as labeled for Rewards Members) or points. I found this disappointing, particularly given I booked via the website. The AC unit in the room was somewhat loud and blew air directly on the bed -- I had to build a wall of pillows to stay cool and not have air blow directly on me as I slept.

"Great Location and Price."
Hanna1955, 16 Janvier 2019

I have stayed at this property before. I am always made to feel welcome and treated with the utmost respect. The rooms are always clean, quiet, comfortable and well kept. The staff seems to go out of their way to make your stay a pleasure. I highly recommend this location for anyone visiting this area.

"Good place to stay"
FriendlyMani2ba, 15 Janvier 2019

The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly & professional. The hotel is on the older side but Our room was clean & had everything we needed. The continental breakfast had hot coffee/tea, juices, cereal, eggs sausages, & made to order waffles. You can eat inside or outside. The pool was warm & the hot tub was hot!! This hotel was within walking distance of a great Mexican restaurant, liquor store, coffee shop & close driving distance to downtown. Will definitely stay again

"Almost secluded but close in"
sincityterry, 13 Janvier 2019

This property is an above average Best Western inn, slightly off the main Palm Canyon route, about a mile from the center of Palm Springs. It is clean, quiet, and convenient with several good restaurants close by. Breakfast is served outside by the pool - very pleasant. Front office staff is pleasant and helpful.

"Shabby out-of-date property"
emsbeck, 11 Janvier 2019

This hotel has in the past been above average in value. It is now VERY shabby, worn, hard, thin towels. Boring breakfast in a cold outdoors serving area. Rooms are in need of updating in every way. Keyless entry card often didn't work. Furniture needs to be replaced.

"Ok, I guess"
ZLI, 09 Janvier 2019

The pluses are pet friendly - we had our doggies with us - very nice employees, easy parking, clean rooms and a decent breakfast. The negatives are the beds are like cement slabs, the decor is grim, the rooms are shabby and in desperate need of refreshing. The pool is very small and when filled with children, is not pleasant. We usually stay at BW when travelling because we are reasonably sure of a certain standard. For the price it was acceptable, the really nice employees made it pleasant

"Great spot when traveling with pets"
Sightseer33536445551, 04 Décembre 2018

Far from the interstate, but worth the trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. Area is nice. Room was a great size with a lot of nice updates and very clean. Pool was amazing and breakfast was good. We would definitely stay there again

"Beware"
Kevin P, 06 Novembre 2018

Rooms are very small. Newly renovated bathroom shower would not drain. Breakfast was lousy and served outside by the pool with bugs all around landing on you and the food. Parking is inadequate for amount of rooms. Do not recommend going here unless you are by yourself because too crowded for two people.

"Good for a quick stay"
Mindy19492015, 28 Octobre 2018

Average hotel, clean but obviously older but well maintained. View out the window was trashy, unmatained dirt. Pool area very nice. Good courtesy breakfast at the pool with average choices. Close to town, Indian Canyons and restaurants.

"Good Stay, Quiet Location"
schultzfamily, 25 Octobre 2018

Location Good, Quiet, About 15 min walk from Downtown, Easy parking, Rooms Updated somewhat in bathroom , counter tops. Rooms had a older smell , hallways dated. We had room 427, we looked at 3 rooms, as it was a quiet time, that was about the only/best view of the hill behind . But as we aree out mostly , that is not always the most important. We are Best Western reward Members so thats why I chose this location with points, value for points.

"Two nights at BW Inn Palm Springs"
ANGELO V, 15 Octobre 2018

I spent two nights at BW Inn Palm Springs. This hotel is very well positioned, just south of the city center. The room was big and well furnished, but the air conditioner was noisy and inefficient. Also the insulation from outside noise was poor. The bathroom was good. Common areas would be better if they were cleaner.Breakfast at the pool side was cool, and good food choices were available, but watch the little birds present on the trees nearby: if you leave your table they will flock in and eat your breakfast!Staff were OK.

"Trapped in elevator; no hot water; rude manager"
hershey413, 13 Octobre 2018

I was trapped in the elevator at the hotel. Sadly my phone had died. I rang the alarm multiple times, and was ultimately stuck for about 15 minutes before the door finally opened. (No one works the desk at night, so my ringing the alarm did manage to wake other customers, but their calls to the front desk did nothing.) There was also no hot water in the room, which make showering unpleasant. When I complained to the manager the next morning and said I wanted my money back and would contest it on my credit card if I didn't get a refund he replied that he was going to give your money back but since I was being demanding about he refused. (Note: I didn't yell or raise my voice, didn't swear, didn't say anything insulting--I simply said the service was unacceptable and I wanted my money back and if he disagreed I'd complain to my credit card company.) Ultimately my credit card company did reverse the charge for me. This is a horrible hotel and a manager who does not belong in the hospitality industry.

"Good hotel, well located with friendly front desk"
GardeningBabe, 28 Septembre 2018

We were on a road trip and found this hotel the morning of the reservation. We got it at a very value price for a Saturday night in Palm Springs. The location was good and the room was basic but had all that was necessary for a one night stop. Comfortable beds, coffee in room, and included breakfast at a great price!

"Excellent base"
tripeagle, 07 Septembre 2018

Review for family of six incl 2 children, four night stay. We had stayed here a couple of times over the years, and liked it so decided to make this our anchor in the Palm Springs leg of our Road Trip. Right choice. The premises is in the middle of renovation, so there is work in progress, but this was not intrusive for us and will probably be completed before the season starts. Check in was smooth and friendly, we got the adjacent rooms requested. They looked as though they had been remodelled/refurnished, everything was very clean and presentable. Free Wi-Fi. Breakfast next to the pool was fine. The pool was clean. Free parking (does get full later on as it appears in the coupon magazines) and none of the "resort fees" that seem to be common in Palm Springs. No dining on site, Elmer's is a short drive along 111. We used to walk into the Old Town but with kids a bit too far. There is a bus- there was a free shuttle apparently but it went out of service in July, shame. We were really pleased with our stay, as on previous occasions. We loved the free aerobatic show by the Humming Birds every day, and the Road Runner which scooted across the lot into the hill behind. Recommended.

"lovely hotel will def come again!!!"
McStankie, 07 Septembre 2018

The pool was empty most of the time so felt like our own private pool, nice mexican restaurant accross the road and a fun american pub 10 minutes walk away. Ralphs supermarket is a 10 minute drive and the liqour shop accross the road do the most amazing sandwichs for just $8 Ariel tramway is a must, what a view and experience, the joshua tree is good too...again amazing views. Maid came daily, reception and the polite gent on our arrival was lovely and helpfull, breakfast was good, enough choice and sitting outside was lovely...just watch your breakfast as the cheeky little birds will sneak it if you leave unattended. A very pleasant quiet relaxing holiday and we toured Califonia, stayed in 2 Best Westerns and these were the best hotels so I would defitnetly book with them again, all the facilities you need, iron, fridge, ice machine, microwave, usb sockets. All the staff worked very hard. So very pleased with our stay - Thank you

"PSP 2018"
Dean B, 06 Septembre 2018

Hotel was great, no issues, staff we're very friendly and helpful. Bus stop located just a 2-3min walk up the road next to The Liqour Market and Deli. Bus is only a dollar, you are downtown within 10mins, bus # is 111, it runs about every 20mins.

"Great Service but nasty room"
mjose58, 02 Septembre 2018

I found a scorpion and by the looks of it there were more so I requested a new room and they gladly changed it and even upgraded me! The breakfast was very bland and minimal but it did vary from day to day.

"Fine hotel in Palm Springs"
Jurgen A, 18 Août 2018

The hotel is located a few minutes from the town center, unfortunately a little bit too far to walk. Staff at check-in was friendly. The room (2 queen bed) was clean, had enough space and was equiped with TV, Refrigerator, microwave and safe. The bathroom was clean, with fine shower. A big disadvantage was the location of the AC in the room: 5 inches from the bed!!! This is very unconvenient, it blows like a hurrycane over the bed. Sleeping with AC on is really not possible. But on the other hand, with the high temperatures in Palm Springs AC is required to keep the temperature comfortable. The placement of the AC also causes that it is hard to get the room on the right temperature. The hotel has a nice pool, which we enjoyed in the late afternoon. The (included) breakfast was also in the pool area. The breakfast was of a good standard and provide a good selection of food. On the morning of our check out I was disappointed that leaving my swimming trousers, drying on a chair in front of our room door, was taken/stolen by someone. The bathing suits of my wife and daughter were still there, so this was a deliberate action. Issue reported to the front desk staff in order to warn them that these things happen at their hotel.

"OUR STAY"
evacasto, 01 Août 2018

Upon arrival to this Hotel, we were met with friendly staff that were very accommodating to our questions... Very quick and efficient checkin. Location was easily accessible... Rooms were very neat and clean.. Bed was very comfortable... Good choice for breakfast items. Pool was cool and relaxing..

"Nice place to stay and relax"
EileenBudandDude, 22 Juillet 2018

I like the staff here. They were very nice. Our room was clean and the breakfast was wonderful. There was plenty of parking. Too bad the free Trolley is being discontinued. We took it downtown to t\\he Thursday street fair and to the art museum. It was much easier that driving down and having to find parking.

"Best Wetern Inn P.S."
vegas19052018, 15 Juillet 2018

We have been going hear for thirty years. It is not a 5 star hotel, it's clean, quiet and the guest are nice and the staff is helpful. The complementary light hot breakfast is great, always clean and well staffed. The best thing about Best Western Inn is the small 24 hour pool. It's right next to the mountain.

"Decent hotel "
Fiona S, 11 Juillet 2018

We stayed here for two nights and had no problems. The room was clean, although a bit dated but plenty space. Breakfast had a good variety and the pool/jacuzzi area was good (although was a bit messy when we went first thing in the morning). A bit out the way but you pay for what you get and is fine to get around if you have a car. Parking is tight though, hotel could really use a few extra spaces.

"Clean, average motel. Typical desert motel air conditioner."
vegasenv, 02 Juillet 2018

This is a relatively inexpensive place to stay. Clean. Laminate flooring. A TV remote control that's cleanable. A bed runner at the foot of the bed to protect the white satin-like bedspread. The air conditioner was typical of one that's been overworked for years in a hot desert environment. I now understand the ground floor AC are noisier than the floors above.

"Great stay"
craigsgirlie, 28 Juin 2018

Nice place not 5 star but clean and comfortable. Excellent helpful and very friendly staff. Nice breakfast included and heated pool. Not much within walking distance but we had a car so wasn't a problem. Reasonably priced too.

"Not worthy of Best Western status"
Roberto Clement... R, 26 Juin 2018

Very run down room. Beds not becoming of a best western. Trash cans overflowing with crap right outside the room. Hotel manager knocking on door at 11:08 asking when we're leaving. No thanks. Never again.

"Ever get locked INSIDE a room? And out ? "
cyclamen27, 25 Juin 2018

Worst Best Western Thought it would be better than a motel six. It's not. My door keys almost never worked. When they did the door would stick and wouldn't open anyway. Usually took me no less than 15 tries to get in EVERY SINGLE TIME. Then, the first morning after putting the chain lock on I got locked IN the room cuz the door wouldn't shut enough for me to release the chain. Not only making me late to my meeting but also a dangerous fire hazard! What if there had been an emergency at night?? A fire ? Earthquake? Health emergency ? When I returned with armfuls of stuff later the keys stopped working all together and I had to let frozen food sit in the heat while I made the long trek to the front office. When I told her she just asked what room and remade keys. Didn't ask for my name or ID. So I guess anyone can get any key to any room here whenever they want. Breakfast was served in the awful heat and was terrible. The coffee was brown water. There was nothing edible. The water pressure in the sink is so hard that it splatters when you turn it on and ironically the shower head pressure is so low you can barely get your hair wet enough to wash. The last night I stayed here, I came back to no parking and had to park a few blocks over in someone else's hotel lot. Which meant in the am I had to trek to get my car and move to my own hotel so I could check out and take all my bags down. Never staying here again.

"Only stay here if you are on a very limited budget"
Mark S, 07 Juin 2018

Let me start by telling you about my trip to the pool. There's tons of people, and also in the hot tub. Everybody seems to be having a nice time. The pool is heated, but kind dark because it's not so well lit, and the sun has gone down. So we swam a while, till it started to get cold, and then said lets take a quick hot tub to warm up before going back to the room. The tub has a few people, but there's room so we climb in. After about five minutes, somebody moves, unblocking the light in the tub, and you can see much more clearly. My wife says “what's all that stuff in the water?”. My daughter and I and I look down, and it's bugs. Dead bugs. Thousands of them. Maybe tens of thousands. Little tiny gnats and mosquitoes and whatever flies around the dessert at night I guess. We're sitting in bug soup. It's freaking disgusting. Apparently whatever filter is supposed to clean the water isn't working. So we immediately get up of course, and decide that we should rinse off in the pool (we have no idea if the pool is filled with bugs too because still not much light there. For all we know, its even worse). Getting back to the room, we take turns showering, and when I take my bathing suit off dozens of little dead bugs fall to the bottom of the shower. It's super disgusting and I can't scrub myself clean enough. OK…the family is exhausted and need to sleep. As usual, I claim the side of my bed by the air conditioner, but I stay up with the lights out and watch a couple Star Trek episodes that I ripped to my laptop. Now it's midnight, and I decide to climb into bed. Here's where I discover problem two. The room is so small that the bed is literally six inches from the air conditioner. I have to slide in sideways to get in, but that's not the problem .The problem is that the air conditioner is six inches from me and blowing like an icy hurricane on me. So I turn it off. Just a few minutes later it is hot and stuffy because its still 90 degrees outside. This isn't going to work so I turn the air back on. Blizzard. I try sleeping completely under the covers, so the air isn't blowing directly on me, but that doesn't work. I'm suffocating. It's now about 12:30, and I give up and decide to sleep in an arm chair. I give that a shot for about an hour, but nope. But I spend that time productively and figure out how to make a wind break using an extra sheet between the bed and the air conditioner that I rig in place with some heavy objects and shoes. The air still blows, and still keep the room cool, but I can lay in bed and not feel like I'm in a winter storm. Great. But its two AM. Did I mention that the people above us are either elephants or horses practicing fence jumping? Because this whole time they are stomping and banging like their feet are made of iron. Which they start up again at 8AM, so I wake up after just a few hours of very fitful, not restful sleep. No problem, a hot shower will get me going. Oh wait, problem, no hot water. The hotel water heater can't keep up with demand. Breakfast is exactly the same as every other free hotel breakfast. Bread products, cereal, waffles, yogurt, scrambled eggs, and something that's basically bacon jerky. It's boring but it is free so I can't complain much about that. The facility is clean and well stocked. Overall, I would NEVER stay at this hotel again, nor recommend it to anyone. I will say that the front desk service was very friendly and helpful, but it doesn't make up for the shortcomings of the facility.

"Wonderful setting"
Jessica S, 04 Juin 2018

We all loved this hotel. The environment was very relaxing. The pool was great with a poolside bar. The location to downtown was perfect and we had a great time. The rooms were clean and roomy. Breakfast was amazing with made-to-order omelettes.

"Hell in the Sun...."
August W, 29 Mai 2018

I have been visiting PS for many years now and have stayed here at this place as always liked it. However, things were not so good this time. and Ah what a lovely visit. I know was Memorial Weekend but a hundred kids with horrible families all screaming, yelling jumping in the pool - onie almost half killed me jumping in, and the management did nowt to stop anything at all, despite my complaints. There was a lady and her husband with two dogs and parked outside and the dogs barking away there. She told the kids to stop and one of the men in the party yelled at her and told her to go back to the room. I have been staying down in Palm Springs since I emigrated from the UK many years back. I have stayed at this place many times as well. I know it was Memorial weekend but this was just too much. Then an awful bloke on reception told us we had to move our room due to some maintenance. They never told us when we first arrived so I refused to move. I have a bad back and husband recently had surgery so would have been a bit of an inconvenience. I did not want to be put next to any of "that" lot anyway. However, the place became back to normal after the weekend. On leaving this morning, I had a lovely greeting from the front desk. I started my complaint, and there he was skulking in the background just waiting for me. The manager, called Todd. He unloaded on me, but I did yell back at him, but did not swear. He went on and on that we were the problem and not the other guests. I ask you. Then he told me never to come back...... and then I got my husband and it got more ugly. Swearing and yelling he was at both of us. Disgusting to say the least. Effing and blinding, and then told us to Get the F out of the place, and I think he went to call the Palm Springs police and never ever come back. On that note I think "a late check out" I was going to ask for was out of the question. Sayonara. Enjoy your corporate career with the BW. I shall be writing to the corporate office. I need not to be insulted like that ever from a hotel.

"Reasonable price"
Donamisty, 22 Mai 2018

This is my second time to stay at Best Western property. Breakfast is not exceptional but its good enough for the price you pay for your stay. Their rooms are spacious and clean, the safety door lock in our room was broken though wifi was fast and my kids enjoyed the heated pool. It was a relaxing stay.

"It works "
Kate C, 01 Mai 2018

We wanted to stay in Palm Springs one night on our way to Arizona and not break the bank. Reviews of many hotels in central Palm Springs said they were noisy. This one is a few miles away from the center but worked for us. As we arrived they were blocking off 2/3 of the parking lot for repaving. It's stayed blocked off all afternoon and evening and maybe they plan to repave it tomorrow but it was pretty inconvenient to park so far from our room for a re-paving job but it didn't happen. They had sent an email for early check in and we specified quiet room/top floor but when we got there they offered us the first floor. The pool and the hot tub were great except for people blaring music and talking in loud voices which are probably beyond the control of the hotel management. The refrigerator in our room was appallingly loud and there was no way to unplug it or turn it off. The desk clerk was sympathetic and said he'd leave a note but there was no solution. I would come again if we were passing through and hope for a better experience. I wouldn't stay here for a long vacation.

"Really good but could be great"
Gary R, 24 Avril 2018

We really liked this place! We're Best Western junkies but we still call it like it is. It reminded us of a 60s style hotel that had undergone an adequate facelift. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The rooms had the usual BW features (rockin AC, microwave, fridge, in-room coffee, SAT TV). There was one spot that the wall paper was peeling...the hand towels were the cheapo ones with the blue stripes on them like gym towels (the bath towels were okay). The mattresses are in serious need of upgrading as are the pillows (IMO). Overall the place is really a 3.5, but with all of the good features and the potential of being really good I give them a 4..

"Great location for Coachella "
Carla B, 23 Avril 2018

Despite much needed renovations, this hotel is very clean and maintained. The location was perfect for the festival, and the free breakfast snacks are a plus as well. Housekeeping staff were very sweet, however if you want you're room clean leave out before 2pm because that's their quitting time.

"Ideal for Coachella "
Ruaidhri M, 21 Avril 2018

Stayed in a family room and had 6 adults. 3 double beds and a living area made our stay that bit better. Ideal for coachella and especially on a budget. Had nice pool and breakfast (which was included) was fine.

"Comfortable and quiet"
Eva S, 19 Avril 2018

We enjoyed a two night stay in Palm Springs at this hotel just outside the bustle of the touristy downtown area. I admit that one reason we stopped in Palm Springs was to see the downtown, but it was nice to be staying in a quiet area. The hotel is in The Mesa neighborhood and we enjoyed taking a ride around and seeing the mid-century homes there. Also, it is about a block from the Moorten Botanical Garden, which proved to be a good place to tour even in unexpected heat in April. The room was ordinary and a bit crowded, plus the building itself could use upgrading. But it was clean and the bed comfortable. The parking lot got crowded but we were able to find a parking space pretty close to our room. Breakfast served in the pool area was typical Best Western fare and waffles were being made to order. Even though there were some flies and bugs around, the view from the pool area where breakfast was served was great. We enjoyed the pool the first night we were there and found it to be nice and clean (I am picky about clean pools). The staff was friendly especially the young woman at the front desk, and all-in all, this was a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

"Good but not without a catch"
ShAmir41, 18 Avril 2018

Having to be back in San Diego in time, intentionally we stayed at this hotel only one night on our way from Joshua Tree NP. Therefore, we did not pay too much attention to details. When we book short stays like this one and I hesitate between motels or between rooms my spouse is used to say: “Hey, don't waste your time. Anyway, the hotel is not for sale, and you are not going to buy the room”. So the rate was reasonable, and we booked one night. The motel is located in the corner of a main street (Palm Canyon Drive) and a side street, but most rooms face the side street. Hence, our room like many others was very quiet. We booked a 2Q room, which was spacious and clean. The beds were okay as was the wifi. There was a desk in the room but as usual only one chair. Is this a hint the management puts forward that it does not want you to bring your breakfast to the room? Free parking is provided, but the parking lot was almost full or even full, and sometimes you had to park quite far from one of the entrances to the building. Free buffet breakfast was served. In principle, breakfast is served in either one of two places: a breakfast room in the first floor or by the poolside. When we got down to have our breakfast, the room was locked. Near the pool there were several iron tables and chairs for people to sit. The breakfast items were placed nearby on other tables with blue light heaters (or perhaps mosquito repellents?) hanging above them. These devises were not effective. They even did not warm the food tables, so that expecting them to warm up the guests sitting near the eating tables was pretentious. There were no mosquitoes because it was freezing cold (outside temperature was around 38). The bad news was we had to stay dressed with our coats on, but this was only half of the trouble. What was really annoying was that we had to wear gloves. Bringing up old time memories of our mornings camping out in tents years ago as a younger couple, we could not but laugh aloud. At the same time we were deeply disappointed almost to tears because we lost the zest for breakfast. It did not matter anymore what there was for breakfast. What mattered was how come BW Inn at Palm Springs picks up a person so insensitive and thoughtless to choose the breakfast place. Luckily we did not have to busy our minds with the question how such bad managerial judgment would have affected us if we stayed longer than one night.

"Select rooms are good"
lrp77, 15 Avril 2018

Hotel location is good but most rooms window is few feed from wall of another hotel. The twelve rooms on each floor that jet out from the building are fine (where he had stayed on prrevious visits.) But, at all costs refuse the room next to the elevator unless you do not mind noise. The pool area is nice and open 24 hours and at the foot of the mountains. The breakfast has large outside seating area that is very pleasant and the homemade waffles (not a maching) are excellent.

"Old and shabby"
Kelly K, 02 Avril 2018

This Best Western could use a little face lift. There is only one undersized elevator in the center of the building, with the pool location to the rear of the property this makes going to the pool inconvenient if you are carrying items. Breakfast was weak even for Best Western standards.

"Very nice hotel"
User, 02 Avril 2018

We got to an Airbnb, and was not advertised properly, it was a dirty mess. So we had to find an alternative place to stay. We checked out this hotel and the manager was very accommodating, ended up staying here the rest of the week, the location was great, breakfast poolside every morning was perfect, clean rooms. We had no car for the week, no problem, between our bikes, free BUZZ shuttle and bus line, and Uber rides to and from airport, we had no problems getting around. Would definitely stay here again.

"Another comfortable stay. Return visit already booked!"
uksunseeker_11, 01 Avril 2018

Been to this Hotel many times before because it is value for money, is very clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I consider this Hotel to be my second home - as a solo travelled I get to chat with very friendly and helpful staff who are more like family. The property itself is quite an old property but is constantly being updated.... rooms contain a fridge and a microwave. A complementary breakfast is offered by the pool each morning and has many items available. New hot items have recently been added to make it even better. Decent sized room! Very clean and a good pool area which is open 24 hrs.

"Adequate Budget Motel"
Mabud5455, 18 Mars 2018

Pros: Responsive staff, breakfast is on time with variety of hot and cold, not far from central PS, dim light switch in hallway near bathroom for middle of the night visits, shower water pressure better than average, firm and clean bed. Cons: Stalinist architecture, noise travels easily thorough walls and windows,1 large roach.

"Yearly trip"
Patricia B, 10 Mars 2018

This was out 3rd stay at this Best Western. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. Our room was clean upon arrival and cleaned every day. The breakfast in the pool area was good. The pool itself along with thw hot tub were very nice and kept clean (we saw thw pool being cleaned 3 our of 5 days we were there)

"Good stay!"
Lucho_M_L, 01 Mars 2018

We stayed for two nights and we were happy with the price/quality ratio. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. The staff was friendly and they offered bottled water when we checked out to continue our road trip.

"Nice stay"
racewalker2, 26 Février 2018

Quiet, comfortable room. Nice breakfast options. Pool and jacuzzi were clean, staff was friendly. Good budget hotel, not too far from downtown. Good Mexican restaurant within walking distance from the hotel.

""Best Views""
travlermb, 24 Février 2018

At checkin, I was asked if I want 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floor. I said give me whatever is best. I was told "I've given you a room on the 3rd floor. 3rd floor rooms have the best views". In the room I opened the curtain and looked directly at a cement wall. The best views?

"Good location, needs a little updating."
TNGAtwo, 23 Février 2018

We chose the hotel because it was within walking distance of restaurants and the downtown area. It was clean. Didn't care for the free breakfast but they do have that as an amenity. Parking was OK and free. Had an issue with the hot water but other than that the room itself was standard motel. A bit of an upgrade would be worthwhile. The area around the pool is nice,

"Basic accommodation"
DennisDykau, 23 Février 2018

The Best Western Inn is a basic accommodation in a convenient location close to old Palm Springs. Some good points were as follows: comfortable bed, clean room, ok breakfast. Bathroom was small and with dated fixtures, towels had seen better days, the smell of cleaning products was overpowering. We were on the second floor in a king room in an alcove with other rooms. The carpet in this alcove as well as all the exterior doors were quite worn and tired looking. It was a good basic accommodation for a short stay.

"WOW AWESOME AGAIN/STILL"
bobnrhoda, 18 Février 2018

Wow still great. Very clean well maintained facility. Free great breakfast outside & or inside by pool patio great views great food & service. Rooms,Beds clean & comfortable Close to many venues & attractions We are avid golfers great courses all nearby. However the staff led by the GM Todd are exceptional, extremely friendly & helpful not only do the make you feel welcome they make you feel like extended family always smiling & greeting you. Todd sets the bar high and he gets excellent results. We have been coming here for many years and will be returning again & again due to this goutstanding service and facility. Thank you Todd & Staff

"If Only"
WoHop132, 15 Février 2018

Since the last time we stayed here the room has been upgraded. Large room & clean. Upper floor near the elevator. Good location. Only stayed 1 night. Good breakfast to start your day. Now we come to the 'if only'. In the morning when I was ready to jump into the shower I found that the handle was broken so no way to take my morning shower. The guest before should have said something to the front desk. I told the desk clerk & he did give me a discount. So I would have given the hotel a very good rating but because of the shower just an average rating.

"A great stay"
Laurel M, 15 Février 2018

Before I book a hotel I always check the Trip Advisor reviews. The majority must be very good or excellent. Then I always read the terrible and poor ratings. I shake my head at some of these reviews. What do people think they are getting for a mid range hotel. If they want perfection, spend $1000 a night and stay somewhere else. This Best Western is a lovely Motel. Sure, it's not perfect but I can look past some broken grout or a poor view out the window or other minor issues. We were warmly greeted by Brian when we checked in, our room was huge, clean and very comfortable. And I've never had a Motel room with so much lighting. We stayed 4 nights in room 205 and even thought the hotel was fully booked we never heard any other guests. Pool area is large and very clean. Breakfast was typical of complimentary fare and I'm quite happy with good hot coffee, yogurt, cereal and fruit. That's what I eat at home. It would be nice if the breakfast started earlier than 7AM though. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

"A Very Welcoming, Nicely Appointed & Affordable Hotel in Palm Springs"
Islander-7, 09 Février 2018

We stayed at this property during a water line break at our newly purchased condo and found Todd, the Mgr. & his staff most welcoming and helpful which greatly helped alieve our stress. They gave us a room on the north side (422) on the top floor accessible by elevator with a nice view of the lights of the city. The room was good size, very clean, & nicely appointed. Also quiet ! Breakfast was served in an outdoor covered patio and offered either items off the buffet or cooked to order. We choose a table nearby overlooking the swimming pool nestled at the base of the hillside. I would recommend this hotel for guests who enjoy a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price for this resort area.

"Inexpensive but well worn"
MongoSchwartz, 06 Février 2018

The Best Western in Palm Springs offers good budget accommodations, and a scenic breakfast. That's the good news. But it is in need of a face lift. The grout around the shower is cracked. The bathroom walls poorly spackled after new accessories were installed. The A/C units loud and disturbing. There were hard boiled eggs left by the prior visitor. Our key cards had to be reprogrammed. The poolside breakfast is a nice touch, but still, it is what it is.

"Rude Front Desk staff"
John L, 06 Février 2018

Travelling from Canada. On arrival front staff told us that the credit card that the travel agent was rejected. I couldn't understand why. Neither guys were interested in helping. Told me call my travel agent...it was Sunday. They were extremely Rude!!! When I came back with my confirmation they were not interested and one guy said "this should be good can't wait for what u have to say". It will cost me $103 If I wanted to stay. We left and stayed somewhere else. When I got back to Canada I called travel agent. He looked into it and said they had raised the room rate and wanted me to pay an additional $103 They had never experienced this before.

"Enjoyed our stay"
cruisers24, 06 Février 2018

We thought this was a great location and nice place. Other review mentioned that it was outdated but we must've gotten a newly renovated room. Very quiet at night! The towels were thick and soft. Pool and breakfast area very nice.

"Good hotel for one night but ordinary"
Melanie L, 04 Février 2018

Stayed here one day for a business trip. The hotel was ok, service was good, it is very close to the mountain and at the pool you have a great view of the mountain but the room was very ordinary with a view of the hotels air conditioner. Breakfast was good. For the price probably could of found a better place. Don't think I would be back.

"Good spot"
Deanna C, 04 Janvier 2018

Though the room we were in was a bit dated, it was clean and comfy. Breakfast by the pool is a nice atmosphere to enjoy for morning coffee, and loved that a Christmas tree was out there too. The location was great for all that we wanted and did get to experience. Staff was great with any needs. We would stay again if visiting the area within the next year.

"Good locatioln just out of downtown"
Ray H, 03 Janvier 2018

This is a good mid range hotel located at the bend in Palm Canyon Drive about two miles from downtown Palm Springs. The rooms are comfy and moderately priced The pool is open and heated 24 hours, with a good view. Breakfast is served at the pool and is standard fare with freshly made waffles. The location is great. Close to downtown shopping and fun via the free Buzz shuttle service run by the city. Also close to several hiking trails and bike paths. I would recommend this place for anyone planning a active trip to Palm Springs where the room is not the focus of your trip.

"Great! "
Sambamslamm, 03 Janvier 2018

Lovely small and friendly hotel, very warm welcome when checking in. Rooms spacious clean and equipped with all you would expect. Lovely pool area and surprisingly good breakfast. Great value for money.

"Outstanding value."
Sherwood Q, 30 Décembre 2017

Third time I have stayed here; planning to stay again next week. Why? Outstanding—very clean: rooms, exterior, pool area and really great breakfast by the pool. Place full but WiFi always fast. Staff the best.

"Charming hotel"
juliehG7104IC, 29 Décembre 2017

Everything was top notch at this medium sized hotel. It had a boutique feel, especially poolside breakfast patio area. Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Hotel was full at night, but was absolutely quiet. Located about 5 minute drive to downtown.

"Don't Stay at Best Western Palm Springs!"
505lucindal, 28 Décembre 2017

Even after I requested that the cleaning staff do our room, because we were staying for two days they didn't clean the room. The keys didn't work and we had to get new ones twice. The shower kept going to cold water from hot and the bed was terrible: lumpy and hard. I can't believe that they didn't clean our room even after we requested it!! I would advise anyone not to stay here!

"Excellent value: clean, quiet, and well-situated in town"
LVinWA, 27 Décembre 2017

We stayed in room #108 (king) and enjoyed a quiet, clean, modern room with perfect proximity to downtown PS. Easy parking. Able to have our pet (cat) stay with us for no additional charge. Would stay again!

"BW at Palm Springs"
DS I, 26 Décembre 2017

Excellent hotel with clean room and friendly staffs. We enjoy the stay at this BW with easy access to the major attractions nearby. The breakfast is by the pool area with a beautiful view to the mountain as the backdrop. We wish we have more time to spend at this hotel and we will definetely go back next time.

"Palm Springs Trip"
chazking, 20 Décembre 2017

Thought I would try a different hotel for a change, and was not impressed, was further out of town then the map looked like. The breakfast area was outside, and not kept very warm. The rooms are a bit smaller then expected by the photos online.

"Best western Palm Springs 1633 South Palm Canyon Drive"
T8943ZWpeterf, 13 Décembre 2017

Hotel needs a little updating, but the service is great and any slight problems were looked after immediately. We like the outside breakfast area with a great view of the mountains and the pool. We have stayed here about five times for about 11 days in total. We will always come back because of the great service and generally nice hotel.

"Relaxing"
karunnion, 05 Décembre 2017

Great location, within walking distance to down town. Pool and hot tub were very relaxing, with beautiful views of the mountain and Palm Trees. Very clean hotel. Breakfast is until 10am - with a great selection. Rooms were clean and quiet. I would definitely stay there again! Everyone was very friendly!

"Unpretentious"
CLAUDEMontreal, 30 Novembre 2017

This hotel is about half a mile from the Main street. It is quiet , rooms are not very new but very comfortable. The pool facilities are very nice. You can enjoy it on the pool patio when the weather permits.Reception is cordial and parking is part of your deal.Very good place

"Inn at Palm Springs"
mikell997, 30 Novembre 2017

The hotel very clean and location was perfect. Amazed about how roomie the rooms were and the lighting in the room was perfect. We enjoyed the jacuzzu one night but was surprised that pool towels were not provided.

"Great find in the desert"
734kayb, 26 Novembre 2017

We are members of Best Western so got a great promotion rate. I liked the location - convenient to the main drag of Palm Springs but far enough to not be congested. Rooms are a little dated but very clean and quiet (we were on the top floor, away from ice machines and elevators). Very nice complimentary poolside breakfast.

"Pleasant"
cs549473, 26 Novembre 2017

Great location to Palm Springs proper and super close to dining, movies, Indian Canyons, Tahquitz Canyon and waterfall. Quiet. Free bfast by outdoor pool and desert. Only bummer was no scrambled eggs at bfast, oven was broken. I am not a carb eater so this hit me. They did have sausage and hard boiled eggs, waffle bar, etc. Pleasant staff. Clean. Comfy beds. Slept great here.

"Mixed review"
A93274, 21 Novembre 2017

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. It felt dated with an attempt to upgrade with granite countertops. While spacious there was only one bathroom for a suite with a king and 2 queen beds. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioner. Each room had an air conditioner but it was so noisy it woke us up each time it cycled on. The breakfast by the pool was a nice touch.. It was what you would expect to get from a free breakfast, eggs and bacon, pastries etc. Personally I would not choose to stay in that room again.

"OK if your expectations aren't too high..."
J933FLterryl, 21 Novembre 2017

The good: Rooms are clean. Internet worked well. Bed was comfortable. Refrigerator had a small "freezer" section to re-freeze blue ice for my cooler. Microwave worked well. Room safe is a nice touch. The blueberry muffins taste good. There's enough free parking. Check-out was easy. The bad: VERY overpriced during the winter "high" season. Beware of rooms opposite the clump of rooms that stick out into the parking lot - - the windows on these rooms look across a 12 foot gap at the back wall of the Vagabond Inn next door. The Vagabond's air conditioning fans are in this gap so you get no view, a lot of noise, and hot air from the Vagabond! This is an older facility that has been updated to add amenities, but rooms smell old and musty. There's too much furniture, poorly laid out in rooms that weren't designed to hold everything the modern traveler wants. There's no counter space to prepare food for the microwave, and the microwave slides around so much you might accidentally pull it off the shelf when you try to open the door. Air conditioner/heat pump in room 223 was very weak and very noisy. Every lightbulb in the room and bathroom takes time to come up to full brightness. It took so long at first we thought they were all broken! The blueberry muffins were the only good tasting item at breakfast. Everything else we tried was stale, tasteless, or poor quality. (Note: we didn't try the waffles - - maybe they're O.K?). Don't try to use a "shopsafe" bank issued single use internet credit card number to pay for your room. You can use it to make your reservation, but they'll force you to give them a physical card they can swipe at check-in. I've successfully used shopsafe numbers at other Best Westerns, but this one wouldn't let me check in with it. Then they actually charged 1 night to the shopsafe number and the other night to my credit card! There are LOTS of choices in the Coachella Valley. I suggest you stay somewhere else unless you get an unbelievable price here.

"Back-In-The-Day"
625Johnboy1, 17 Novembre 2017

A largish complex of rooms with a warm welcome from Todd & Richard on Reception. It must be a maintenance nightmare which they Manage Exceptionally Well and All have to be commended for. The rooms are large with a Super Comfortable Bed-Well Done. The pool area is compact and maintained with a morning breakfast area. Exceptional Value for Money. Exceptionally Clean and Tidy. We had a view of The Hills. We would return. It is on The Free BuzzBus Route Thursday to Sunday. Run to 1am. Quaint Bus.We used it last night.

Decent hotel. Good value for price. Staff was very friendly. Bathroom needs updating. Shower water pressure was low and curtain needs to be replaced. Good location and grounds were in pretty good shape.

"On our way to Arizona"
User, 12 Novembre 2017

So we chose this hotel as we were looking for a place to stay the night on our way to Arizona and they offered a two bedroom suite that suited our family of 4 adults and 1 kid as 1 room had double beds and the other room a king bed. My only real issue with this hotel was it is in disrepair. Broken tiles, old carpet, no screens on the windows so we had to use the AC which didn't work very well and was very noisy so we didn't sleep well. Pillows were too firm for our liking. It was clean, but they cut corners with very worn/stained towels and a continental breakfast that was really just ok. They should probably remove the bird feeder from the breakfast area as the birds were landing on the tray with the utensils to serve eggs. The pool was warm and clean. The customer service was excellent, the offered us bottled water for the road which was nice, they just need to invest a little more into the property and their breakfast. If not they should probably reduce their price a bit because they are also off the beaten path in Palm Springs.

"This used to be a nice place"
Susan B, 10 Novembre 2017

I am sorry to have to write this review but there were at least 20 roaches in the bathroom this morning, the coffee maker in the room did not work, and there was no coffee in the office. Also, there is nearly an inch gap at the bottom of the door. The hotel used to be decent, my friend stays there for work, I am not sure what changed. No one will be staying there again. Too disappointed.

"Don't stay here"
BevB205, 07 Novembre 2017

An update on all rooms, very dated, wall paper coming off on the wall, rooms had a terrible order, no views to speak of. Not a good lay out of the rooms. Had trouble with the keys, phones in friends rooms kept going off with no one there, at all hours, having to take the phone off the hook. Very poor quality for a Best Western. And we have stayed at many over the years.

"Best Western Palm Spring"
drewburnett1, 06 Novembre 2017

Very easy going, helpful staff. Breakfast could have used some variation (we stayed for 5 nights). Some room features (night light, and telephone) malfunctioned. Had trouble with printing boarding passes/baggage claim tickets, but staff helped solve the problem.

"Nice view of mountains"
robertnN7169TK, 06 Novembre 2017

Good quite location just blocks from downtown . Good places to dine and drink within short walk. Staff was friendly and helpful . Room had a great view of mountain and surrounding desert area. If you just want to hang out and not drive anywhere for the evening that is possible due to the location.

"Overnight for an Event"
John H, 05 Novembre 2017

I received a great rate for a weekend night at the BW Palm Springs. The room was a king sized bed and the room itself was very large with a separate bathroom and separate sink areas. It had a refer, microwave and safe and came equipped a coffee machine and hair dryer. The main room had a desk and separate large chair and flat screened TV. There was plenty of outlets for all of ones equipment. The staff was courteous and there was a morning meal free around the swimming pool.

"Business stay"
Bill L, 03 Novembre 2017

Great service, breakfast and comfort. Found in a good location where the area is quiet and accessible to service areas such as food, gas, etc. The motel is close to the Palms Springs Airport and access is very reasonable

"Very nice and reasonable priced"
northernk, 02 Novembre 2017

Enjoyed a two nite stay here in early October. Nice sized room comfortable with all one's basic needs. Bathroom is a little small but manageable. Comfortable bed. Great area for continental breakfast which was okay but not great. So many great places in the area didn't really want to waste calories on most of what they had to be honest wasn't worth it, however like i said a nice place to relax in the morning. Friendly employees all around from front desk to food and cleaning crews. Thank you all.

"hotel failure"
Ronald W, 02 Novembre 2017

My room was large but a bit shabby. With a broken desk chair and very dated furniture. My window faced a the back wall of an building a few feet away. The hotel's location was very good. My problem was mostly with staff. My visit started poorly when I was asked to complete a pet policy form prior to check in. I explained I did not arrive with a pet. I am a person with a disability but I am fortunate to have the assistance of a trained and licensed (by the state of California) service animal. While the law is very clear that I should not be excluded from areas of the facility generally open to guests, the pet policy put some areas off limits. What made matters much worse was the way this has been handled by staff. When I tried to explain why it was not appropriate for me to be required to agree in writing to these limitations, I was told "If you don't want to sign the policy then we can cancel your reservation right now." Finding a hotel room for 5 nights in Palm Springs at the last minute may not have been possible and it would surely have cost much more than what I had prepaid through priceline. I was further told if I continued to ask questions about the policy, their phrase was "pick it apart" then they would cancel my reservation. So I shut up and signed the policy. As I checked out I copied some information regarding the ADA and service animals for staff to review. I noted in writing on the document my resentment regarding the violation of my rights. I received a voicemail from the Manager who essentially doubled down supporting the use of the policy indicating authorities in California and BW legal staff had revied it and found it appropriate. It is very unlikely that anyone with an understanding of reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities as mandated by the ADA would approved this policy to be used with guests travelling with service animals. The manager also admonished me for not contacting him earlier in my stay. Since I had been threatened by staff to say no more about the policy I waited until my last day to raise the issue again.

"Not happy this time!"
Rise E, 25 Octobre 2017

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. It's in a fantastic location and the rooms are nice and clean, bed is comfy and they have a free breakfast (which is great if you like junk food, not healthy at all, the fruit was pretty bad, eggs runny). The phone system was broken. The message lite was on with no message, (no biggie), but the phone rang 4 times in the middle of the nite with no one there. Upon talking to other guests, apparently it's been a problem! The biggest issue I had was at the pool. There were 4 or 5 belligerent ladies who were drinking and drinking and being rude and lewd! I asked them to watch their language, as there were many children in the pool. I was called the B word and then one of the gals took her breast out and shook it at me! (Not pretty). I complained, along with several other guests, but the clerk did nothing, said they were allowed to drink as long as it wasn't glass and if I had an issue, I should call the police! NOT a good answer! Also, the umbrellas were ripped to shreds! Should have been taken away or fixed. I'm super unhappy with the way I was treated, I do business where I am valued, and this obviously is not a business that does. Lots of choices for hotels in the desert!

"Older but Clean and Good Value"
Gena S, 24 Octobre 2017

This hotel is a little older but I though it was great for our purpose. It was central to many of the things we wanted to do and even walking distance to some. Overall the employees are very accommodating. I thought the price we paid was very reasonable for three beds and it included breakfast.

"We are in love with this place!! "
Ryan S, 23 Octobre 2017

We were here twice this past month. We just love the staff, service, location, and overall environment of this place. If you're looking for a peace and quiet mini vacation, Best Western Inn at Palm Springs is your best bet. The pool is great, the views are breath- taking. We love the fact that it is about a mile from the main downtown area. Lyft/Uber is easily accessible from the main lobby. Free breakfast is always a plus! And this place is very affordable! We will be back again very soon!

"Very good value"
Christy P, 23 Octobre 2017

This is not one of the fancier Best Western's I have been to, but it is a great value for the location close to downtown, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast outside by the pool is a nice touch.

"Top notch service"
lmslater, 23 Octobre 2017

Stayed two nights and was very pleased with the accommodation and breakfast. The staff were very pleasant. Adam at the front desk called us shortly after check in to make sure that we were happy with our room and that everything was in working order. On check out, we received bottled water for our drive. Would stay here again. Close to downtown PS and other shopping areas.

"Disappointed "
ScarlettHippie, 15 Octobre 2017

Great photos on their web site, not so great when you get there. Room was suppose to be non smoking but had the smell of a room that use to allow smoking. The air conditioner rattled. The tv noise from neighboring rooms was annoying. The bed was comfy and the view of the mountain nice but not a place we will be coming back to.

"Road trip"
kelly12n, 13 Octobre 2017

We stopped here for 1 night and loved it. Check in was effortless and staff friendly. Pool was lovely and stayed around the pool area for a few hours. Rooms were clean even though looked abit dated but everything was in excellent working order and bed very comfy. Excellent location. Would defiantly stay there again.

"Good Place to stay"
davidwX7613EY, 11 Octobre 2017

Property seemed a little older, but kept up nicely. Room was average size, but they managed to fit in all the amenities you might want (microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board / iron, large work desk). One of the best free breakfasts we've seen. Served by the pool with nice view. Waffles made to order with a slew of toppings, eggs, sausage, breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee etc... Real plates and silverware instead of plastic. Good location and minutes from anywhere you might go.

"Wonderful facility"
160jaynec, 10 Octobre 2017

The front office staff here was amazing. Provided directions to various attractions - recommended other attractions - great central location. The continental breakfast was hot and had variety every day. The room was cleaned daily and they did a wonderful job. I would recommend this hotel to others visiting the Palm Springs area.

"Average hotel"
Charles K, 06 Octobre 2017

Located close to downtown Palm Springs, this hotel is clean, but has an old, outdated décor. The parking is sparse and currently they undergoing repair (construction) for an elevator which meant I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to my room, which wasn't terrible, but an inconvenience.

"Not recommended!"
John C, 04 Octobre 2017

We stayed here for one night on a fly-drive package and it was the worst hotel on our trip and one of the worst that I've ever stayed in. I'm normally happy with BW, they provide good value and comfortable stays so I have no idea how this one gets into their portfolio. It's so old and dirty, I'm not sure even an upgrade will save it. There was dirt and stains all over the furniture, flies coming in around the windows and making home on the beds. Everything felt dirty. It's also not very convenient for the main town area. If you need to dine you'll have to drive into town to get a good choice. If it was $20 a night you might just put up with it. Do yourself a favour and find a PS hotel with better reviews. Horrible!

"Dissappointing"
MandMvK, 04 Octobre 2017

We booked the Best Western to break our trip from the Canyons to LA. We booked a family room and were promised their best room. The room was spacious, but the air conditioning did not function in one of the bedrooms. After done attempts to fix it, we got an extra room splitting the family again. In the bedroom of family room with airconditioning, there were no decent curtains, so we woke up at 6am. The pool was small and not very clean.

"Doctor appointment"
Leann G, 03 Octobre 2017

I'm a Dan of Best Western chain... Great prices, great service and super rewards program. I fly here to see a doctor. Took fee extra days for a short break. Been here before had top notch Best Western service. This time they fell short not offering me my extra points or gift bag(points please :))... Anyhow no big deal. The breakfast help was pretty unfriendly again no big deal but for a true BW experience this lacked some. The location is so so compared to the other one in downtown the breakfast is minimal compared to that one as well. I chose this location because service last time was on point. Either way I'd stay here again.

"Excellent Hotel in Palm Springs"
972tyronep, 30 Septembre 2017

The Best Western in Palm Springs was excellent. The room was clean and neat. Everything was where it should be. The internet, tv, iron, shower, toilet, refrigerator all worked perfectly. The cleaning staff was great and kept the room looking good. The lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave me a map of the hotel and circled where everything was so I could get around on my own. They allowed me to check out an hour later at no extra charge. They give you complimentary water, cookies, and breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

"Great hotel stay"
roxannec327, 29 Septembre 2017

The staff is great and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the morning breakfast has alot of choices. One of the best things about this hotel is the pool is open all night. The hotel is close to the buzz bus which goes into town every 15 min so you don't have to drive once you park at the hotel!

"Spacious room with great pool and whirlpool"
cowwzz, 25 Septembre 2017

Room was spacious and clean. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful!! Great breakfast with lots to choose from. Choice of waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, yogurt and juices. Best part of hotel is the hot tub. Very hot with great jets to relax your tired body after hiking the Joshua Tree National Park.

"Lovely hotel, with lovely friendly staff."
euncstwrt, 16 Septembre 2017

Booked in here for 1 night on our road trip. Checked in early, with no problems, exceptionally lovely friendly staff, gave us some cookies while we checked in, the rooms were lovely clean with comfy beds, the air con was nice and cool, in the room, which was great, as it was 109 degrees outside. The pool was lovely, great to cool us down on the exceptionally hot day. Great nights sleep, lovely breakfast with lots to choose from, in a lovely location beside the pool. Would definitely stay here again if we were ever in that area....

"Business"
Leann G, 12 Septembre 2017

This wasn't the usual BW experience that i have had at other locations and even here. I am still pleased but wasn't offered my elite points or gift bag which i always go for the points. the location is good not as good as the other BW right down town however i do prefer the price here. I will stay here again.

"Best place in PS for the price"
poetrjp, 28 Août 2017

Excellent check in and service - free cookies !! Our room was clean - was provided with fridge, microwave, coffee machine and coffee. Free breakfast pool-side (or they have a private room if you desire, with big screen tv in it). Pool is open 24 hrs, huge plus. Quiet part of town - and guests were quiet as well. We even met a celebrity one morning at breakfast. We had a great time. I had my wife and 2 others with me. Comfortable - and most important, priced excellent and almost half the cost of most others in town. We will be back !!

"Terrible Stay and GM is a Liar!"
Doug D, 22 Août 2017

I have stayed at several Best Western properties in the recent past, been very satisfied, and even gave the Best Western in Indio a 5-Star review on July 30. This place is on the OTHER end of the pendulum. When we arrived, were placed in a room with a non-working air conditioning system (they did move us to a room with one that worked). But at night when we returned from our night out, we wanted to use the pool and jacuzzi, there was a family with at least 15 people (and no less than 10 kids) that had overtaken the pool area with beer cans and bottles of alcohol everywhere. At 1:00am, mind you. When we asked the Desk Attendant to do something, he basically shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. So we never got to swim or use the Jacuzzi. The next morning, we were rudely awakened before 7am by a helicopter flying no more than 300 feet overhead, spraying insecticide (!!!) on the guests outside eating breakfast (they serve breakfast outside, next to the pool. The flies love it). It was flying so low, that I was even able to take pictures of the helicopter and sent it to BW Corporate offices. When we asked the GM Todd, what was going on with this, he quickly told us it wasn't the hotel's fault. This Todd guy also lied to Best Western's Customer Care Dept., telling them I used specific derogatory terms about people that I did not use, and other falsehoods he attributed to me, just to make himself and his lousy hotel look good. Verdict: Do not waste your time or money by staying at this sub-par property!

"Worst Hotel"
carolwC3899HC, 09 Août 2017

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in !! Needs a whole new make over. Snake on patio. Something wrong with water and A/C. No blackout blinds. I will never stay there again. . Best Western should be more involved in who they franchise too.

"Room for improvement "
Sandrulla, 31 Juillet 2017

There were millions of bugs in whole Palm Springs and our room was full of them as well as everywhere in the hotel. Not mistake of the hotel but they could have at least sweaped the floor. Especially in the breakfast area where we found it disgusting. The air condition is extremely loud and right next to one of the beds. So either you freeze or you sweat. The bed itself was comfortable and the breakfast was ok.

"Consistently Pleasant Place to Stay"
X3909KFedwardh, 23 Juillet 2017

Have now stayed at this BW Inn about 3-4 times. Always a pleasant experience. Staff friendly, rooms are well maintained and clean. Breakfast is set outdoors by pool in a very nice setting near open desert land -- in the city but it feels very quiet and private. I plan to return: It's very good value for the price.

"Good hotel for money! "
Georgia R, 13 Juillet 2017

We stayed 3 nights in Palm Springs here - all positive however please be aware the location is further away from the town centre(shopping/restaurants) so in summer you'll want to uber and not walk! Other than that the room was clean and very roomy! - we had heaps of room for our shopping and bags plus some! Bed was comfortable as well. The free breakfast was great good selection of items. Pool got a little warm due to the summer heat (42 degrees C outside) but was still nice in the evening! Would stay again :)

"It was an ok stay"
LoveTraveling67, 29 Juin 2017

So hard to book a room online and never seeing it. This was an ok stay, we have had worse. The room was pretty warm even with the A/C unit running on full. It was 120 degrees outside so I know it had a hard time keeping up. Not a large room and not great laundry area. The pool was a nice refresher (pool was pretty warm though). The breakfast was served 1 hour late and is served pool side, I would have liked to be inside with A/C, and it was a basic breakfast nothing fancy. Probably won't stay here again though.

"Still a great breakfast"
scott j, 27 Juin 2017

We keep coming back to this motel.Close to old town and pleasantly quite. The breakfast is almost as good as Tonopah, (biscuits and gravy, from Betty) Slow moving "old" toilet. Spacious rooms, 2 queen. Our friend had a king, and it was still nice.

"Great Place, Great Price,Great Time"
bannercaptain, 12 Juin 2017

A great location and great room was just perfect. Very quiet rooms and a staff that is overall fantastic and help you in every-way.And a breakfast and a view that really makes the stay with your while.

"Don't bother, no matter how low the price"
christopherV9976XD, 06 Juin 2017

Checked in to first rom which had no further nctionng a/c. It was cooler outside in the outdoor breezeway than the room at 100+. After 20 minutes, front desk guy comes up and says wait couple of hours to cool the room evenhpugh the act fan was stuck at n left w and no cooling. Finally changed the room. Securities Ned room had a broken safe, mini fridge that was not working and later I discover d after unpacking and swimming pool n the Pool to cool off, no working plumbing for shower or bath! By now I am so aggravated, the idea of re packing and moving us beyond thoughts, so go to dinner, come back and take a swim to clean up. Then no internet, wifi. Front desk blames it on my iPad and phone, even thought I was able to connect fine in all the other hotels on my trip, and the restaurant in Palm Springs at dinner. Next day I check out and after being asked how my stay was, !!, front desk manager steps in and says they will comp me. I explIned I didn't want a free night, just a decent stay in a Five Star resort town. RuiNed my stay- was thinking no of staying a second night but decided to move on farther this fiasco. The place us run down, in need of major renovation to everything that is old and decrepit. Clearly the owners don't care as evidenced by other reviews on this thread With equally sorry tales. Go elsewhere and save the grief. I spent a week on the road in five western states at other Best Western properties and they were all excellent. This place is appalling and should be Voide at all costs. The only. Redeeming quality was the pool- if you like to bathe in pool water, this is fine, but it's not the place to shampoo and use soap to clean up. After bike ride before dinner, it was my only choice!!

"Never Again!"
kagonz1, 04 Juin 2017

This hotel has issues. In a period of a couple of hours, we moved to 3 different rooms. The first one had a broken toilet handle. The remote for the TV and phone didn't work in the second room. We decided to remain in the final one even though the AC was loud and obnoxious. We asked for a discount for our hassle and we received it (10%.) Thankfully, we were there for one night only. In good conscience, I can't recommend this place. It's in dire need of a remodel as it's old and run-down. The location isn't good either as it's 3 miles from downtown Palm Springs. It seems like a short distance but it's not especially on a hot day!

"Horrible Stay at Bad Western Inn at Palm Springs"
Lynone, 02 Juin 2017

I recently stayed at this hotel which looked clean and nice from the outside. We had a small room with a broken toilet and no towels. We told the front desk and the guy came down to look at the toilet and moved us to the next room. This room, after going out for the evening was another headache upon trying to get settled. The TV didn't work at all, the phone didn't work, so again, we were moved to a third room. At this point we were so tired and irritated at the whole scenario, we unpacked for the night (again). The room was tolerable but the air conditioner was so loud and barely worked, not to mention the really soft beds, that we made it through the night. Not a good visit!

"Very Friendly staff - nice rooms"
rexgolfer62, 31 Mai 2017

The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly. They were very accomodating when we had a special request. Very comfortable bed. Room had a small refrigerator, microwave and small safe (if needed).

"Best western at Palm Springs broken toilet and front door!"
Karen M, 30 Mai 2017

Broken toilet for 12 hrs had to per in bath tub Broken door could pull open for 10 minutes problem continued worried us cause it was a fire hazard, when told front desk they said sorry not let us discount u or offer free future night which encourages future visits!

"Road trip"
Grandpanubs, 17 Mai 2017

Nice older hotel in hot Palm springs. Clean ,comfortable, well maintained. Breakfast served at the pool area with plenty of seating in the shade and around the pool. That was unique having breakfast outside with plenty of coffee and eggs and other goodies.

"Excellent Value for the Money in Palm Springs"
Borg S, 08 Mai 2017

This was my second stay at this property. Besides being located conveniently in Palm Springs, the prices are reasonable compared to many other hotels/motels in the area. What impressed me most was the quality of the staff - friendliness and attentiveness. The room was also clean and comfortable with amenities like a coffee pot and refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also well above average for a hotel in this price range. They also have a pool and spa. I will stay here again and recommend it to others.

"Unhappy Stay"
William I, 04 Mai 2017

The breakfast area was all outside, including the food. Birds were walking & landing all around, including the tables the food was on. The TV system was terrible. The numbering of the channels overlapped, and was very hard to understand. My wife was ill at check out time. I asked for a late check out. The manager only offered 1 hour, and each additional hour at a $15.fee.

"Nice Place to Stay."
Basil G, 29 Avril 2017

Your typical BW, inviting, clean, friendly staff and comfortable. The King room we had was well decorated, but not a lot of room to move around. A lot of updates and renos but you can still tell that its an older building. I'm not knocking it, it is very quiet at night.

"Reasonable price, older facility, friendly staff."
Mark H, 29 Avril 2017

We stayed in town for a wedding and several family members stayed here. It is an older facility but has been maintained and contains many updates. We found the rooms a little smaller than a more modern building, but very adequate. The prices were very reasonable for the area. The morning breakfast is served in the very nice pool area and was well done. Wifi worked well. Everything was clean and all interactions with the staff were very pleasant. Staff was even friendly after a heavy windstorm filled the pool with palm fronds, which they had cleaned out in a short time. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family staying in the area. Just keep in mind it is an older hotel. It does have an elevator to the 2nd and 3rd floor.

"Just OK"
CACDNGrandma, 27 Avril 2017

Room was comfortable but some things were cheaply done and not to standards I have come to expect from Best Western. I probably wouldn't book at this location again. Staff was excellent but room was disappointing. I booked a room with two queen beds.

"Friendly staff, good accommodations"
Susan S, 25 Avril 2017

I was pleased with our choice. Unfortunately, my husband became ill on our first day of travel and climbed into bed as soon as we got there. Not wanting to drive someplace for dinner I asked the desk staff for a recommendation I could walk to. There were many to choose from, but she recommended Sherman's Deli and Bakery if I might want some Chicken Soup for my husband. Great recommendation. The room and bathroom were very clean, nicely decorated and updated. I liked the shampoo, body wash, conditioner dispenser, just not where it was located. Because it was so low it was really hard to dispense the products. I do have to say the room (two double beds) was very small and made it feel a bit cramped. Being we were two people, and a one night stay if was fine. I would think if you had kids or more than two people with luggage it would definitely be uncomfortable. I also really liked the fact that it had two phone ports on the nightstand between the beds. Made it so convenient and you didn't have to search for plugs. The free breakfast bar was very good, I liked the freshly made omelettes. Perhaps drop the need of the "breakfast card" though. After going back to the room because I forgot it, I wasn't even asked for it. I would definitely recommend, but check room size. The on-line picture pretty much shows it being small.

"Use as last resort only!"
L6702ESedwardd, 24 Avril 2017

While I was virtually forced to stay here recently due to lack of reasonably priced availability of other accommodations because of Coachella, this hotel represented extremely poor value with marginal cleanliness and run-down condition for a rate of over $250 US/nt.

"Good location, service, rooms and staff was very helpful. Check out was also very easy."
Chuck C, 22 Avril 2017

Have stayed here before, and have always had a very good experience. Comfortable beds, decent breakfast, and the price was very good and well worth the price, will stay here again. I have tried other locations during my travels, however, it seem Best Western has the best deals than most other hotels.

"Trip to the Desert"
RoadTrippinAgain, 15 Avril 2017

What a nice location!!! Check in was easy. The staff was very nice and cheerful. Made me feel welcome and happy with my choice Our room was doors down from the pool/breakfast room/breakfast area. We were able to park very close to our room. The room, while I've read some comments that it is small, was perfect. The room area was set up quite efficiently. The bathroom had an alcove where the refrigerator/coffee station were located. I liked that. The pool is open 24/7. Some guests complained that there were people who were out late too loud. Sorry to hear that. So, a heads up; if you are out late to swim, people CAN hear you. There are two breakfast areas. At least while we were there, both were open. One is stationed indoors with a t.v. and counters with coffee and tables to eat. The other location is outdoors by the pool What a nice area! Very nice to enjoy breakfast outside. Everything was delicious. Important to know: at the window where there is a tip jar, you can order waffles. If you can order anything else, I don't know. I would recommend this location to anyone and do intend to go back.

"hotel stuff very helpful"
563fritzk, 14 Avril 2017

upstairs room was close to breakfast area, you could sit either outside or in a separate room, good breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage etc. very good oranges offered daily, all in all very good breakfast. Also good location.

"Boutique hotel"
Dianne W, 05 Avril 2017

This seems like a boutique hotel because it is small, in a great location against the mountain not far from downtown Palm Springs. We enjoyed breakfast by the pool every morning - a real treat for us! The rooms are small but we were hardly in them and the beds were great!

"Expensive tiny room."
BettyandMichael, 04 Avril 2017

We paid $167. including taxes for a very TINY, OLDER, pet friendly room. This was suppose to include senior / AAA rate. Very very basic. No frills here, no onsite restaurant nor bar. Basic breakfast served outside in pool area. Room and property was pretty clean though and the location was pretty quiet. On our return trip we just stayed at a motel 6 which was way less than half the price and about the equivalent.

"Good base for a couple of days."
Nicki B, 31 Mars 2017

We stayed here for two days during a tour of the area. The hotel room was very clean and a good size - nothing fancy, but represents good value for money and staff really helpful. Nice location, a bit far out of town to walk, but restaurants within walking distance were good. Breakfast by the pool was really nice - plenty of choice and well organised. Plenty of parking close to rooms. It was also useful to have a visitor laundry facility.

"Okay for the price"
Kim R, 28 Mars 2017

Our room was pretty run down, the bathroom especially, and the layout is weird in that you have to go through the "closet" area to get to the shower and toilet, with the sink across from the closet space. So that meant me and my friend were constantly jockeying for position and trying to get stuff done but there just wasn't room. But the staff was very friendly and nice, and the breakfast was nice and didn't have the usually super short hours places with free breakfast offer (it's my vacation, I don't want to get up at 7 to have breakfast), the housekeeping did a good job considering. Orange trees in the parking lot even had oranges on them! I liked it being up against the hills, so that when you went out to swim, you were looking at scenery instead of just cars, and there were a lot of birds flying about. I also really appreciated that the windows open a little bit--air conditioning was a bit much for the time of year, except our last day, but keeping the window open made it just right. It's within walking distance of a really cool little cactus botanical garden/preservation place, and I highly recommend strolling over there. There aren't a ton of restaurants or coffee shops within walking distance, but if you have a car you're fairly close to a couple great old fashioned diner type places, and of course there's always the main drag of Palm Canyon. If you're looking for cheap accommodations, though, this isn't bad, just…a little rundown and has that funny layout problem a lot of older motels have.

"Perfect for what we were looking for."
Darla N, 27 Mars 2017

We've stayed here before and will again. The hotel is not fancy, but it's clean and the staff is very friendly. The pool is open 24 hours which we love. Breakfast is average, but the setting by the pool makes it really nice. The staff told us about the free trolly that took us back and forth to the downtown area, and it typically took about 15-20 minutes to get back and forth. Totally free, just tipped the driver. Overall, it's perfect for what we need.

"door to room hard to open. shower was unusable for someone with limited strengh. valve for shower hard to open and hot a"
60lorenzof, 28 Novembre 2016

And cold water opposite. Very small quarters. Room needs alot of attention! Door was very difficult to open. Heater was right next to one of the beds. Motel was hard to find. The BW sign is hidden from the road.

"Quick Getaway"
khatchadourian, 27 Novembre 2016

Pleasantly surprised by this return visit. Hotel sita near a dead end right by the mountain and it is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was a plus with a casual by the pool brunch. Wall Street Journal and free cold water at check out made us very happy. IN room fridge was also very nice!

"Nice place to stay"
bbtraveler0412, 27 Novembre 2016

Out of the bustle of downtown but easy to get to the night life. Very friendly staff and breakfast was small but good and you could eat by the pool with a fireplace (it rained the night before) or a breakfast room

"Excellent place to stay"
laney2102, 22 Novembre 2016

Myself and my friend visited for two nights The location was pretty good We hopped in uber for $5 which took us into the town Rooms were excellent super clean Beds were ok. Bed pillows were uncomfortable sadly Rooms were well stocked Breakfast was adequate Pool area is nice but would have preferred a heated pool Great place to stay Good value

"Cheap - standard matching price..."
323jensn, 11 Novembre 2016

This is not a suitable hotel if you are a business traveller, and adequate rest is essential. The aircondition sounded like an old diesel generator when starting. There is no restaurant or room service.

"Excellent choice of hotel"
Jennifer W, 10 Novembre 2016

This hotel is a little beyond the main street in Palm Springs but although there are a range of restaurants within a close walking distance of the hotel, there is also a free bus service 4 nights a week, every 15 mins. For the other days the regular bus service operates an excellent service too. The hotel is well managed, with very spacious rooms. They were serviced very well on a daily basis. All staff were came across were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities are excellent with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker in our room. There is also a laundry which touring travellers would find useful. The pool area was lovely with plenty of good quality beds and the area where the good complementary breakfast was served.

"Great for a couple of days"
rockandrose21, 08 Novembre 2016

We spent two nights here in a room with two double beds, TV, air conditioning, TV and a large bathroom. The room was comfortable and fine for a couple of nights. The bathroom was spacious and disabled user friendly. The pool was nice with plenty of sun loungers. The location was okay but not very close to town but there is a nice Mexican across the road which sells reasonably priced cocktails. The breakfast at the hotel was really nice. It was outside by the pool and consisted of cereal, toast, bagels, waffles, muffins, eggs, sausage, yoghurts etc. The wifi was down during our stay so it only worked in reception which was okay, we managed as it was only for a couple of days. The hotel was nice for anyone looking to stop off in Palm Springs for a day or two.

"This place deserves an A+ and I'm picky"
Charles M, 07 Novembre 2016

I literally travel the world and I must say this is home away from home. I am very picky about cleanliness and this place met my needs in every way. Most hotels that have breakfast usually give you a hard bagel and send you on your way, but this Hotel had eggs, sausage and cereal and waffles to order and all done in an awesome pool side area that's so inviting. I will be back for sure and I would imagine all the people I met at breakfast will too.

"Palm Springs Overnight"
Breathless_in_Bali, 04 Novembre 2016

For travellers wanting a quick overnight trip to Palm Springs from nearby Los Angeles, this hotel is a good choice. It's not too far from downtown Palm Springs and it's a short 10 minute drive to San Rafael street where visitors to the Aerial Tramway take a turn towards the mountains on the road to the Aerial Tramway station. Our hotel room was very clean and the hotel staff especially Todd, the front desk manager was very helpful, courteous and friendly. The buffet breakfast was the typical American breakfast, nothing fancy but still very good for us southeast asians.

"Good Value"
Jon W, 30 Octobre 2016

Stayed here as a low-cost alternative to hotels near the convention center. Everything was clean and worked. Staff extremely helpful, breakfast by the pool excellent. Room layouts a little weird but a terrific option for area.

"Good but not impressive"
ladylodger, 26 Octobre 2016

We had a ground floor room with 2 queen beds, which were fine. The bathroom was clean, and we had more than enough towels. I enjoyed using the little one-cup coffee maker. Breakfast outside around the pool was good but not exceptional. It was nice sitting out there while we ate and also reading a free copy of The Wall Street Journal. The room had a bad odor from a combination of deodorizer spray and perhaps older furnishings. Since the windows didn't open, we couldn't get any fresh air. The AC was noisy but worked well. The parking lot could have been better lighted at night. Next time I'll look for a motel without the smell.

"Excellent Hotel Experience"
Bill S, 26 Octobre 2016

This is the 4th time we've stayed at this hotel in the last 3 years and we've always had an excellent experience. The staff is professional, prices are reasonable, rooms are comfortable, and breakfast is very good. The employee at the front desk even found my wallet when I accidentally left it in the office and personally returned it to me. We will stay here again next time we are in Palm Springs.

"Quiet and Convenient"
Perry C, 26 Octobre 2016

Quiet and very close location to everything. Nice Continental breakfast. Had trouble with hot water when taking shower LAST DAY ONLY. Would not get warm but the faucet did. Felt guilty letting the water run trying to get the shower warm. Many gallons of water wasted in a desert/drought area.

"Location, Location, Location"
tdw295, 25 Octobre 2016

Resort style hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Older buildings, but has been kept up to date. Quiet and comfortable room. Breakfast of hot and cold selections was served around the pool. A very nice place to stay. Located near the airport.

"Could be better"
557philipk, 24 Octobre 2016

The hotel is in a convenient location and the breakfast/pool area has a great view near the mountains. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. However, the hotel is showing its age. We've stayed here several times in the past but even though the price is good, we will be considering another hotel next year.

"Best Western Palm Springs"
Kevin K, 19 Octobre 2016

I thought everything was excellent. Great staff and GM. breakfast was free and very good. Room was clean and well maintained. Lots of outlets for charging electronics. I only wish the grapefruit on the tree was ripe enough to eat.

"Nice Stay"
ConsumerMike, 18 Octobre 2016

The property is nice, although dated. We were not offered Express Checkout. Breakfast was OK, but not anything to brag about. Hotel is at the far end of Palm Canyon Drive. Pool area very relaxing. Staff is very courteous and helpful.

"Excellent value"
Mike T, 18 Octobre 2016

This is a hotel on the outskirts of Palm Springs and it represents really good value. For the 2016 Desert Trip concerts we booked three nights here, and it was only about 25 minutes away from Indio. The hotel is comfortable and a good place to rest. Very nice staff. Highly recommended.

"handy location..."
Thomas T, 14 Octobre 2016

The location was very handy for us; easy in and out. This is an older Best Western Hotel. We stayed during the off-season so we did not experience noise or other inconveniences. Our room was clean and neat. And, we did enjoy the pool and eating breakfast outside!

"Good hotel for a short stay"
Sa1ad, 12 Octobre 2016

We had booked an AirBnB for our Desert Trip adventure which was cancelled at short notice. We found Beat Western Palm Springs to be a good option under the circumstances. It's a bit far from Indio, around 40 min coach trip. Our room was clean but smelt musty upon first entry. It was freshened once the window was opened. The staff were very friendly, cleaners included. The pool area is a really relaxing place for breakfast and pool is very clean. They have lifters in pool and spa for disabled guests. Very accessible hotel all round. The air con in our room was mounted on the floor and blows straight on the bed making it a bit cool on your back and little hard to find a good temp to be comfortable sleeping so we turned it off at night. Lift is a bit scary and slow but we managed ok. Lift could do with a renovation. Guest laundry is welcomed along with drink and ice machine as well. Would def go back if I had a need to visit Palm Springs again.

"An older PS motel"
MilleMiglia08, 11 Octobre 2016

This is an older Palm Springs motel that has been partially updated as the years have passed. In reality, the updates have been only partially successful. Our room layout was unusual to say the least. Generally clean room, the beds were OK, satisfactory linens, noisy AC. The management says in comments to other reviews that they are trying to retain that "retro" look and feel, but accomplish only retaining a very old facility. Terrible paint colors. In Europe, this would be considered acceptable. Here it is sadly dated. We would seek other accommodations next time.

"Best Western Palm Springs."
Russell D, 06 Octobre 2016

Nice hotel. Included free full breakfast. Nice rooms. Good price. Friendly and informative staff. It's the best value I found for a clean, comfortable, attractive room complete with a full breakfast. It's the place I'll stay when I'm in Palm Springs.

"I've had better, I've had worse"
Robert N, 05 Octobre 2016

The nice thing about this hotel, they let me check in early, the not so nice thing is the free wifi didn't work. When I spoke to the desk clerk I was kinda annoyed, when I asked for some kinda credit for the non working wifi he said well it's free and your not paying for it. I said yes I was paying for it, it's not like I'm at Starbucks where the wifi is indeed free. The hotel overall was nice, hot shower and ice cold AC. The pool and spa were nice and inviting. They offered a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning by poolside. The only gave one set of towels, for a room with two occupants. The decor could have used a tad bit of sprucing up (wallpaper bubbling). The room had a refrigerator and microwave. The checkout was quick and flawless.

"Lower end B.W."
Mike P, 04 Octobre 2016

I am a Diamond member with B.W. and have stayed in many different properties. This one is on their lower end. While the room was clean and adequate size, they were having problems with their internet service and the further away you got from the office the worse the service until, in my room, I was never able to connect. The breakfast is nice on the pool deck.

"Sad"
Nonna4308, 22 Septembre 2016

I travel for business and stay at many hotels which include the Best Western chain. This was by far one of the poorest kept hotels. The rooms are majorly dated and the wall paper was coming off the walls. The rest of the room was in the same poor condition. Just glad I had only booked one night. The breakfast was sad. If you have a choice select another hotel in the area.

"Not good!!"
thered101, 20 Septembre 2016

The room is falling apart, is very small for handicap! It is very shabby and outdated. Has a tub, I can't get into. The only good thing about the room is the TV. The wifi sucks if you can even get it to work. Noises are heard everywhere! Upstairs, every time they walk the ceiling creaks! The bed is positioned right next to the front door so I hear everything outside! There are hardly any plugs in the rooms! The air conditioner sounds like it is going to blast off into outer space!! Ugh!!!! I want to go back home!!!

"Accessible to many things"
Theal H, 16 Septembre 2016

Located near things I like to visit. Stores, strip, theater, great eateries, casinos activities and just for pleasant walks. Just pick the venue of clubs for night life and enjoy yourself. The price was right for a three day getaway that was must needed.

"spring break"
670henryh, 14 Septembre 2016

This motel is quaint and in an excellent location near downtown. Restaurants are everywhere and all serve fantastic food, especially the fish market across the road. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was great as well, with made to order omelettes.

"This is a great place to stay away from the strip."
Baldie_Pauldie, 14 Septembre 2016

The Best Western lives south of the downtown strip. You can take a long walk to, or use the trolley to get downtown, if it is not too hot. Overall, for the area, it is a nice hotel. Pros 24 hour pool - the pool is always open. I think they get away with this because they are so far away from the crowds that you aren't going to see any non guests jumping in. You can have a pool and a jacuzzi all to yourself at 3am. Free Breakfast - Not the greatest but they have hot stuff, the eggs are kind of gross and spongy though, THe pastries were just OK. Staff - very friendly, very nice. ALways responsive. WIfi - is fast usually but it went down a few times on my stay and became unusable sometimes. Fridge and Microwave in the room - Stop by Raph's and stock up on burritos. Cons THe hotel is older and a little run down. In some cases it can distract from the stay. The ceiling in my bathroom had noticeably uneven paint for instance no big deal but the shower had to be pulled and twisted to turn on. Not a huge deal, I called the front office because I thought it was broken and I was instructed on how to turn it on. ___________________________________ The single bed rooms vary a bit. My first room was up against the back of the travelodge on the top floor. I was larger than the other rooms but still I was not happy with this. I imagine since it was the middle of the week, I was easily transferred. My new room was much smaller, it was model featured on the BW site 360 view. Smaller room but the view out the window was was nicer, I could see the rocky martian looking hills and palm trees of this beautiful city. If you want a clean pleasant place to stay you could do a lot worse.

"Great staff"
Susan A, 08 Septembre 2016

We stayed at this hotel for one night during out self drive holiday of California, the staff on the reception were very friendly, checking us in very efficiently, the room seemed quite dated, however, it had all the amenities, coffee machine, iron and board, TV and microwave and fridge. The pool area was great, keep a look out for the quirky mobile mast, see if you can spot it? Breakfast was included and was served outdoors on the patio by the pool, fantastic. Great nights sleep in really comfortable beds.

"Award Winning Stay"
Chris K, 05 Septembre 2016

From the beginning to the end I was treated like an award winning client, every staff member gave me an Award winning Smile and always willing to accommodate me . Check in was effortless and they helped me with my luggage to my room and provided me with extra pillows without any wait. The Staff is A-1..

"Good hotel but poor wifi "
Zippyzoe, 30 Août 2016

A good hotel at a very convenient location at the southerly end of the downtown strip. A good free breakfast was appreciated, served in the pool area. Our room was spacious and clean. Only criticism is that the wifi at the pool end of the hotel was very poor and frequently dropped.

"Better than average and a good competitive Value"
Bret R, 27 Août 2016

The room interior has been remodeled to present an up to date, quality look, with granite counter tops and nice colors. The room was spacious, the bathroom small but efficient. The TV was large and offered good volume, unlike some facilities that limit the sound and make it difficult to hear. The bed was not great, and had a rigid wire around the edge that was actually uncomfortable when you sat on the edge of the bed. The in-room coffee supplies were so-so and could be improved. The negatives were the smell of the room upon entry. It had that kind of musty, mildewy odor. We were tempted to ask for another room, but chose not to. And, the room air conditioner was loud throughout the night, even though we used earplugs. If you are a light sleeper, you will not sleep well with this noise.

"Just fine for a road trip"
Simpson0n, 17 Août 2016

A one night stay as part of a road trip. Hotel clean and spacious. Rooms a little dated in style but very clean. Staff very pleasant. Pool is a giant hot tub, but to be expected in 35degrees plus. Good location for bars and restaurants. Good value.

"Better and cleaner in 2011"
Miriam S, 15 Août 2016

Front desk staff was very friendly. Cleanliness in the room was ok but could be better e.g. around the faucet and on carpet. Cigarette butts in front of the rooms; spilled cereal and milk in front of room and on stairway. In-room aircondition was really loud. Without it it was too hot. Breakfast at the pool was really nice. And one really positive thing - they use real spoons, knifes, forks, plates. ALL other places we stayed at have everything out of plastic or wrapped in plastic. At all other places we have seen garbage cans in breakfast rooms fill up with the speed of light. It was really hot in Palm Springs, so we took the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up into the mountains and went on a 7 hour hike which was awesome. Great temperatures, great views, great nature. Breakfast or Lunch at nearby Elmer's is a must. Also Dinner at Las Casuelas where they have live Music.

"Not good"
vanmar1523, 13 Août 2016

We got the 2 story hotel and it was hot air did not work correctly and the sun comes into the room right away no block out curtains it needs more air takes forever to come on and doesn't get that cold I didn't care for this hotel some staff were nice.

"Great value"
Monty M, 12 Août 2016

We stayed here as part of a Californian random two-week tour after a stay at the swish SLS hotel in Beverly Hills, so we weren't expecting much for the basement price. However, the inn/motel was excellent. Great service when we called while on the road and a completely acceptable room. The 24-hour pool and hot tub was a bonus (especially when compared to 6pm closure of SLS pool). I would recommend this inn/hotel on many levels, but at around $80 for a family of three, this was an utter bargain.

"Good value, fairly good experience all around"
NurseJello, 10 Août 2016

I have stayed at this location several times now for work, and I have had pretty good experiences in general. I found that the first floor rooms are hardwood floors as a rule and the second floor rooms are carpeted. Breakfast is very good for the price of the hotel overall. As mentioned below, there is fruit, pastries, cereal, and eggs and sausage. They also have freshly made waffles that you can order at the window and they will bring out to you. (I say order, but they are basic waffles, not customized.) Also, if you are not interested in sitting in the outdoor, though shaded, pool area for breakfast, there is a room with A/C and a tv not far away, with some breakfast items in there too. The pool is great; comfortable temp and clean, and it's nice that it's 24 hours. Palm Springs weather (especially in the summer) means that it might be best to swim early in the morning. The pool is set a little ways away from the building, so no one will be bothered by splashing or people in the pool. The hotel is in a not-as-nice neighborhood, but it doesn't ever feel sketchy or unsafe. It's just away from the main downtown area. It is an older building, but it's been kept up pretty nicely as a whole. I love that I have the individual A/C, fridge, and microwave in the room. The beds are comfortable. The hotel staff can be hit or miss in terms of how friendly they are, but they were accomodating and helpful to me when I had an issue with the A/C in my room. The manager, Todd, is great. Don't forget to become a Best Western rewards member online and get better rates on rooms. I was also able to take advantage of a promotion to stay twice and get a $50 gift card!

"best western palm springs,"
Rich M, 06 Août 2016

I have stayed at this property many times, and everything was always perfect. Room 128 however, was different. proximity to the parking area, pool and jacuzzi area, is excellent. layout of the room is very nice, roomy. however, the a/c did not cool the room down very much, the hi/lo on the fan, did not work, the bathtub had to be rinsed out, before using it, because of some residue on the floor of the tub, and, the refrigerator of the room did NOT cool what was put into it, even tho it was on. I will stay there again, I like the facility very much, but, am not sure about Room 128.

"Pleasantly surprised"
Kevin A, 26 Juillet 2016

During a weekend visit in the sweltering heat of the summer, had initially booked the property next to this. However, after a very unpleasant experience next door (hint hint...see my review of the Vagabond Inn), I decided to "upgrade" my accomodations and for about an extra $40-50 per night, wanted to give my old stand-by choice of Best Western a try (who generally never disappoints me for the price category that I am paying for). On first impressions, found the front desk staff friendly and helpful. Each room at this property has their own individual air conditioning unit built into the wall, and low to the floor--which was perfect for me cuz it blew a nice stream a cold air when i was sleeping in the bed. Despite other reviews of this property, I did not have dirty carpeting. My room (# 113) had clean wooden hardwood flooring. I enjoyed having the complimentary medium size fridgerator, the microwave oven, and the Direct-TV offerings instead of the standard hotel nickel-and-dime you for anything you watch. Free parking and free Wi-fi was a welcome bonus. As for the complimentary daily breakfast from 7-10am in the shaded section of the outdoor pool area, I was pleasantly surprised what was offered. In the past, when I have stayed at Best Western properties, its always a standard selection of cold or room temperature "Continental" Breakfast. At this location, besides a selection of 3 dry cereals, 3-4 types of bread for toasting, 3 different kinds of fresh fruit, as well as at least 5+ kinds of pastries and muffins, and free-flowing Orange, Apple, and Cranberry juices...they also offered HOT scrambled eggs and hot link sausages. For the price, I thought this was a good value for the money. The property overall was in good shape. Yes, it could use a little TLC here and there, but mostly for superficial, cosmetic things..if you look hard enough. In my room, everything worked, nothing was falling apart or did not work. As long as you understand that you are staying in a better-than-average "motel" and not a Hotel...than this property will be choice worth considering the next time you are planning a visit to the Palm Springs area. Located just a few minutes drive or walk from the always busy and noisy downtown district, this property is in a quiet area to guarantee you a good night's sleep.

"Decent stay"
lb_949, 25 Juillet 2016

we stayed three nights, close to downtown its a short drive to downtown, average continental breakfast, the staff was friendly, free parking, and the pool is open for 24 hours which is nice when you want to stay cool.

"Horrible Hotel"
christolec, 18 Juillet 2016

This was the worst experience ever. i travel a lot and stay at a lot of hotels and this one would never get another penny from me. The room smelled bad, the floor was dirty and had nails sticking up from the doorways, the bathroom had old towels with stains in them. I stayed two day and the bedding was never freshly changed, the room was half cleaned, there was no iron in the room. When it was time to eat breakfast, the eggs had a very old smell to them, the assuage was not fully cooked and looked white, and all the juices provided was watered down. The employees who served breakfast all had bad attitudes and did a lot of whispering in front o guest. I advised the front desk of these issues and received an apology and some cleaner towels. I will never stay here again, this experience was the worst and definitely effected my overall stay to palm springs when I came there to relax.

"Needs a lot of work"
Millyj, 11 Juillet 2016

We live in LA so we come to Palm Springs a lot. Decided to get an average hotel just for a night to stay - hotels has free parking, free breakfast, ice machines but needs a LOT of work. Hallways were dirty and the exterior needs updating. The interior was OK but could have used a lot of work. The staff was ok but kind of nonchalant. Air conditioning in room was standard but the carpet in those rooms were FILTHY! I didn't want to take off my shoes. The popcorn ceilings need to go as well. The plus were the mini fridge and microwave. Pool was fine nothing special goes from 3 1/2 to 5ft. My daughter was able to get in some swimming in 100+ degree weather so that was good. However, that pool area could use a LOT of updating as well as the horrible sewer smell that we had to endure while eating breakfast by the pool (breakfast was outside near the pool. I wouldn't stay here again; I'd pay extra to go somewhere a bit nicer.

"Ok overall"
Hélène D, 03 Juillet 2016

Dead cockroach in the bathroom, lone pubic hair in the bathtub, tired toilet flush... Hum, this did not bode super well - are first impressions really everything? The room was generally functional though, comprised fridge, safe, electrical plugs, iron and ironing board. I had a good, undisturbed night's sleep in the bed. And double plus, no gross carpet on the floor - just plain latticed wood (or fake wood but I don't mind that). Hotel's location was a 15min walk from the town center, which is nice if you like to walk - which we do. Cute pool and outdoor breakfast area (I do love my morning sunshine) although breakfast food wasn't anything out of this world. My conclusion: upgrade the cleaning standards and I'd give this hotel a 4 star instead of 3. For a one night stop en route to LA from Vegas, it was all right really.

"great hotel great price"
Sue&mike, 03 Juillet 2016

Looked for somewhere to stay as a walk in in Palm Springs on Saturday night, didn't want to stay in the centre. This was a great option, just on the outskirts of town, great pool, breakfast is served outside, in the pool area, which was great, we had an early morning swim followed by breakfast. Lovely ladies on check in, gave us directions to the free trolley service to downtown. Really good to park car free & be able to get downtown to eat. thoroughly recommended.

"Great customer service!"
Molly B, 02 Juillet 2016

I had some difficulty with the a/c and then turning on the water for a shower. I called the front desk and each time, the staff person on duty came right down to fix the situation!!! I was delighted in their friendly and prompt service!

"Good hotel in a good location with a nice pool"
Faith Q, 29 Juin 2016

Stayed at this hotel for one night only but we arrived early and so had some time to spend at the pool before heading down town for food later in the evening. When we arrived Rene greeted us and was genuinely so friendly, helpful and nice. She even phoned us to see if we got to our room okay. Parking is outside the hotel and is free of charge. You can park as close to your room as you like but not all rooms look out onto the car park. Breakfast is served beside the pool which is lovely, but there are slightly more sheltered seating areas too. You help yourself at breakfast and it is relaxed and varied. We only had one issue while staying at this hotel and that is that our shower water didn't drain properly. It was the type of shower where you stand into a bath tub and the bath tub filled more and more as I showered, so basically I was standing in my own dirty water. It did drain eventually, but not while I was showering so I am sure it is something that could be fixed no problem.

"Don't waste your money"
VTSunGirl_11, 27 Juin 2016

We decided to splurge on our last night of our road trip across the country and what a nightmare! We were misquoted on the rate and the boy at the desk just smirked at my husband and said "there's nothing I can do". The room was the size of a cardboard box and not worth the money and the condescending reception upon arrival!!!

"Nice breakfast"
scott j, 21 Juin 2016

The employees are great, however, I was displeased with the TV and shower. My unit was an older one, and the bathroom showed it. But a great location, hospitality breakfast starts you on the right foot for a long day. The A/C was great. The evening was pleasant in their outside (enclosed) pool and hot tub, I would come back.

"Good hotel convenient to Palm Springs attractions."
Lynn O, 14 Juin 2016

This hotel is nice and clean. They have good water pressure and decent internet. The closet is very small but there is also a chest of drawers for your clothes. They have a mini fridge as well as microwave which can save on meals (there are grocery stores nearby). The breakfast is good - eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, danishes and cereal. Would stay here again.

"best western inn, palm springs, ca"
Rich M, 10 Juin 2016

everything about this hotel was first rate --- the staff at check-in, everyone I met during My stay, the room, the 24 hr pool and jacuzzi, the continental breakfast, the proximity to the main streets of palm springs -- EVERYTHING. I highly recommend it.

"Friendly staff, large room with comfortable bed"
Xavier0988, 03 Juin 2016

We went on a road trip (june 2016) and booked all our hotels via Best Western: Inglewood (LA) -> Palm Springs -> Needles -> Grand Canyon -> Page -> Bryce Canyon -> Zion -> Las Vegas -> Mammoth Lakes -> Yosemite -> San Fransisco -> Santa Maria -> Inglewood. We were very friendly welcomed and got some extra information about the area. We had a large room with a very comfortable bed and pillows, bathroom was rather basic (so far in every hotel, seems to be a trademark of BW). Very good airconditioning system (what is needed over there). There was no extra charge for parking space. There was a small swimming pool available, however the water was not really clean. Breakfast was served at the swimming pool -> basic but okay. Free wifi with good connection was available.

"best western - palm springs"
traceym429, 31 Mai 2016

this hotel is in a great spot if you like to hike the local mountains or want to do the tram ride. Its very plan wrap but a very good value for the price. Most hotels in Palm Springs in the spring are at least double the price

"Run down, old"
Marcie Y, 30 Mai 2016

Spicket for tub out away from wall. pool open 24hours but seemed like people lived there having a party in their backyard. Breakfast was outside in pool area. I asked for a ground floor room and got 3rd floor right next to elevator. Could hear engine from elevator the whole time. Stayed two nights. Overall ok for the price but very run down.

"You get what you pay for "
My Info B, 25 Mai 2016

This is basically a motel 6 with a nicer pool and a decent free breakfast. The double queen room had a bulky 30 inch plasma TV and a mini fridge that was not working. The breakfast is served poolside only. The pool is locked with some sort of pin system. I saw many ppl try to get in and fail, then just leave instead of being embarrassed. Simply pull up on the black pin and the gate opens. If you have high expectations for this property you may be let down.

"vacation"
Karen K, 25 Mai 2016

We were very pleased with the large room, and breakfast served out side at pool was quite enjoyable. The staff was most helpful and pleasant. It was easy to find hotel in Palm Springs. We would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

"Short stay"
468alicek, 18 Mai 2016

My daughter and grand daughter and I visited family in the area and found this location to be suitable. They offer a nice breakfast each morning which was included in our price. The pool is open 24/7 which provided some needed quite time late in the eve.

"None"
Michale S, 09 Mai 2016

This hotel was fine. The hotel staff and desk hotel staff were very friendly and helpful/informative. It would be nice for the hotel to have a restaurant on site for its customers. Maybe something to think about in the near future. Or a snack bar at the pool to grab a quick lunch and a beverage while out enjoying the pool and hottub. More thicker and longer towels should be offered to the customer as well. The ones the hotel has arent that great. Overall a nice stay!

"Dirty"
Steve W, 05 Mai 2016

The room layout was very strange - track lighting pointing at the walls - no biggie. I went barefoot to take a shower and when I yanked the water on (very hard pull) I looked down and there was very dirty water around my feet, The wallpaper is pulling away and paint is needed. There were stains on the carpet and chair. Very shabby. I did see work being done on a couple of rooms but they are way behind on their maintenance schedule. The only thing that kept me from rating it terrible was how friendly the employees were. They have a lot of catching up to do.

"Stayed here for Stagecoach"
Nicole M, 01 Mai 2016

Stayed here this weekend for stagecoach. We had a two queen bed set up with a small couch for one person to sit and a desk. Room also came with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It's a spacious room we were able to fit a twin blow up bed with no problem. We needed more sleeping room but the hotel would not give us a roll out bed. They offer a decent continental breakfast out side by the pool. As far as location for stagecoach it was a pretty far drive to get to the Venue.

"Bring your own pool towel"
CJ M, 30 Avril 2016

Pretty basic discount hotel. Recommend Las Brisas over this one. Bring your own pool towel as the ones provided are the size of a hand towel. Bath tub is very small and low to the floor. Pool is small but okay. Breakfast is good. Staff was friendly.

"Clean and comfortable "
dswgr6, 28 Avril 2016

Very pleasant stay here with family. Rooms were large and comfortable. Lovely pool area and outdoor seating areas. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Convenient location within easy walking distance of many restaurants. Okay free breakfast with omelet station. Hope to return!

"Great find!"
Zeppelin1979, 27 Avril 2016

I have now stayed here 3 times! It's a great place to stay with really friendly staff! I normally stay every second year when we travel to the States for Coachella. The rooms are always clean and you have a fridge and microwave and plenty of space. The morning breakfast is simple but good! I cannot complain and there is options for me too (I have a wheat allergy) so thank you! Pool side is really nice too. A good 30min stroll to town however now they have the BUZZ bus on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday you can go in for free have a few drinks and be dropped off at the door! Would (I do) highly recommend to friends!

"First bad impression at a BW"
Enrique M, 24 Avril 2016

The Palm Springs area was pretty booked for that date. The fare was about 70% of the Holiday Inn Express, but the quality was about 40%. The AC blasts at bed level. Had to do tricks to be able to use it.

"Nice Place to Rest Your Head"
Marianna M, 24 Avril 2016

This was the second time my family and I stayed at this Best Western. We found the room quiet and comfortable. The room was very clean and well stacked including towels for the pool. The WIFI worked well, and the 24 hour pool was refreshing. The breakfast staff is friendly and very helpful. The selection was more than continental, with eggs and sausages. The waffles came our perfect, because they were made by the staff! We wished there was more parking spaces available. It was a bit pricey due to the Coachella Music festival.

"Not as nice as last year..."
plc52515, 20 Avril 2016

Hotel seemed less cared for, hair dryer did not work, parking very tight. Complimentary breakfast was decent, pool inviting. The hotel is quiet, the clientele mixed, family, seniors, couples, singles. May stay there again, but will read reviews over time.

"Great location"
Michael B, 16 Avril 2016

The rooms were very nice and every thing worked in our room. Very good Wi-Fi which kept us connected for the two days we were there. The breakfast was very good and the wait staff were most helpful. When we checked in the front desk were good at seeing that we had what we needed and took care of everything for us at check in and check out, .

"Has gone Downhill since 2 years ago!"
Jeff B, 13 Avril 2016

Stayed here before multiple times and LOVED this motel. It really has gone downhill since 2 years ago ;-(( Very noisey refrig. in room, shower curtain rod sloped down and looked as if it was ready to fall off wall & nasty black spots in multiple places on bathroom floor. The staff DID change out refrig. next day after complaining about noise. Last evening of stay contractors were working to replace carpet in halls on second floor. Continuous pounding with hammers reverberation was very loud down on first floor. The pounding lasted until after 7:00 PM (Unacceptable!!!) We were offered $100.00 off our stay which was nice but not worth putting up with this nuisance while while on vacation. The housekeeping staff really doesn't seem to care about the upkeep of the rooms or possibly if reported the management doesn't care??? Hope to hear better reviews in the future and might reconsider another stay again. Until then we will seek other accommodations when in Palm Springs.

"I would stay here againl"
Judith R, 11 Avril 2016

The hotel is a little shabby and improvements could easily be made. The doors to the rooms and the tiles on the bathroom floor need to be replaced. The garden outlook from the rooms needs to be improved. However the wonderful staff, excellent breakfast, and location to the free bus to the centre of town more than make up for these minor faults. I would definitely stay here again. The rates go up on weekends.

"Relaxing Vacation"
uksunseeker_11, 02 Avril 2016

Another pleasant stay at this hotel. Very friendly helpful staff who work as a team to make guests comfortable. Since my last visit, the breakfast has been improved with the introduction of a couple of hot items giving even more choice. I cannot think of a more pleasant start to the day eating breakfast on the pool terrace with a great backdrop view. Very enjoyable! The rooms are being improved all the time, very comfortable beds with a very good housekeeping service. Booked for another visit later in the year already!

"Not what I expected"
Leticia R, 31 Mars 2016

The card reader for the door did not work. The water pressure was very low. The water temperature fluctuated between the two extremes. You can hear the people above and next door. The staff, however, were very professional and pleasant.

"Best Western Palm Canyon Drive is great!!!!"
Jeff V, 29 Mars 2016

Went for spring break 2016. Stayed for one week. yearly ritual since 2009. Stay here every time. my wife loves this place. 24 hr pool was awesome. Great for both adults and families. Great view of the mountains. Hot tub was great also. Excellent breakfast with muffins, toast, eggs, sausage, cereal Would recommend this hotel to all. I will be back.

"False Advertising"
Thomas K, 27 Mars 2016

Room is smaller than photos on website. Noisy. Small Bathroom combined w/storage, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. Tiny sink area and no towel racks (unsanitary). View of weeds and hotel wall next door from room window. TV didn't work. Shower controls didn't work. Cigarette smoke from people outside flows under front door.

"Poor air circulation, odor and very very noisy"
William V, 26 Mars 2016

The room smells very stuffy due to poor air circulation. You can't open the window as there isn't screen for the window. The window is dirty. The bed smells like bleach. All the pillows smell like bleach. Your head hurts after sleeping on them. Our room was right under the service members' room. All night long, you hear people walking above your head. I ordered extra towels and they were never delievered.

"Great Place for the Value - Not super fancy - but nice enough - Good location"
cody123411, 23 Mars 2016

This hotel is a great value. My wife and I went here for a quick getaway to get out of the rain in Seattle and enjoy beautiful Palm Springs weather. We booked the place on Expedia, we got a good deal, just a little bit over $100 a night. Pros- Room was clean and quiet The Manager, and all the hotel staff were very friendly and always helpful. The pool area is quite nice. It is relatively small, but a nice place, with not too many people there & you can bring your own drinks and food in no problem. The included breakfast is great - nothing super fancy - but really nice with fresh fruit, pastries, waffles, coffee, eggs etc. You don't feel like you are in some snob factory. Cons- The beds are not super comfy and they don't have a lot of pillows and blankets. Also the towels are a little limited. I would say the bed was actually sort of hard. We were lucky that our room was quiet, but I did talk to one other party who complained that they had a dog barking next door all night. When we first checked into the first room I heard the dog, and I asked to move, They moved us to a quiet corner spot with no problem at all. Overall a great value. If you are looking for just a solid relatively inexpensive room near the main DT area of Palm Springs this place would work well. If you are looking for boutique or fancy - this is not the place. Palm Springs has those places but they are more money.

"Disappointing "
dslip, 21 Mars 2016

I was quite nervous about staying at this hotel based on previous reviews. Unfortunately what has been described is pretty much what we experienced. Upon entering our room, we encountered an unpleasant musty odour. We bought scented candles to rectify this issue which for the most part worked. The bathroom was spacious but the rest of the room was very small. There was two of us staying there and we barely had room for our suitcases and nowhere to unpack. Our shower did not have hot water so we were forced to have cold showers until it was fixed 2 days later. On a positive note, staff were so friendly and really tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They did provide a 10% discount for our shower issue. Also, the poolside breakfast was a nice way to start each day. I doubt I would stay here again as there are a lot of other options in the Palm Springs area but are more expensive. You certainly get what you pay for!

"I chose function over flash !"
Daniel K, 21 Mars 2016

We have stayed at this Best Western in Palm Springs every year when we attend the BNP Paribas Tennis Open at Indian Wells. Although it is quite a distance from the event, we don't mind the drive, because we are getting an excellent value for our money. The hotel is always clean, quiet, secure, and comfortable; plus you are treated to a nourishing breakfast to start your day. I caution you to reserve your room early, because this hotel is no secret. That speaks well for the staff and the facility.

"Good place to stay...no problems"
Glenn & Marcia H, 21 Mars 2016

The only complaint we have is the comfort of our bed when we stayed. Everything else was great. Beautiful breakfast area right by the pool. Friendly staff. Room was clean. TV and internet worked great. No complaints except for the bed.

"A basic hotel"
bgoliver, 19 Mars 2016

The hotel is in a great location only about 2 miles from downtown. I stayed in the suite that was supposed to sleep 6 but it only had a very small bathroom although it had two bedrooms. It offered a very basic breakfast for the price. The Vagabond Inn next door offers better value.

"downtown disappointment"
Leames, 18 Mars 2016

i had a couple of extra days so looked for a Best Western in the Palm Springs area. The disappointment was the officious check in clerk, the dreary room and poor noise separation from above. It does have a really nice pool. Very nice Mexican restaurant across the road.

"Don't stay here unless you have to!!!"
Tom M, 16 Mars 2016

First let me say the staff were very helpful and friendly and the continental breakfast was pretty good. The view out the back is also pretty nice. The problem is the first thing that greeted us in our room was the heavy smell of disinfectant. This is never a good thing. Fortunately we were able to open a window to ventilate the room a bit. In addition the carpets were filthy. We made sure that we always had shoes on whenever we were walking around the room. You would think it wouldn't be too hard to clean a carpet to make it a bit more pleasant?? In general everything was a pretty run down. We stayed only because there was nowhere else available.

"Clean, Comfortable, & Amazing Breakfast"
happycustomer531, 08 Mars 2016

My stay at the Best Western Inn, Palm Springs, was truly lovely. Although the Inn itself is basic, it stands out for friendly service, cleanliness, fluffy pillows, and amazing poolside full breakfast!

"Good for those on a budget"
Lindsey S, 07 Mars 2016

For the price, the room was decent. The room was clean upon arrival, bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The bathrooms are desperately in need of an update! The breakfast was your basic items...cereals, bagels, pastries, eggs, sausage and they also had the option of waffles made by the staff. The breakfast is in the pool area which makes for a pretty view to start your day. Overall it was okay for a last minute trip where we didn't want to spend $300 a night. Ultimately, you get what you pay for...so if you are looking for a resort atmosphere you will be paying for a resort price.

"A NICE STAY"
Ellyn T, 03 Mars 2016

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit nervous about having booked five nights at this hotel. I needn't have worried. We asked for and got a room on the top floor. I guess there are some rooms on the first floor that are parquet floors, but ours wasn't. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. If I had any criticism it was the bathroom. The fan did not keep up at all when the shower was used, and some new caulking around the outside of the tub could be used. Everything else was fine. Fridge, microwave and safe all worked great. This hotel was quiet as it was not right on the main drag. The lobby is small, being remodeled, but we were only in it to check in and to ask a couple of questions. The pool area is fantastic. A gorgeous setting up against a large hill or mountain, lots of chaise lounges available on two levels. Bathroom available. Tables and chairs both outside of, and inside the covered breakfast area. Adequate lighting to play cards or games at night as well as heaters. Breakfast was more than adequate. Scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, bagels and muffins and bread for toasting, as well as cereals and waffles, and some fruit. The breakfast area was kept very clean and well-stocked. This is not a fancy hotel with tons of amenities, but it certainly is a decent place to stay at a very reasonable price.

"Pleasantly Surprised"
William C, 28 Février 2016

This was a nice property and I would definitely stay here again. Wasn't sure what to expect, but since a cheap and poorly run hotel in another part of Palm Springs had cancelled a group reservation we ended here. I was quite glad it worked out the way it did. Yes, it's a Best Western and not a Hyatt or Marriott, however, this was worth the money, quiet, easily accessible, and I had a very comfortable room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that my third floor room had plenty of warm water, but I was trying to get cold water from the tap. It took forever before the water started to cool down even a bit.

"Contemporary decor with a desert sensibility"
PBandJ01, 19 Février 2016

Enjoyed the contemporary décor not characteristic of most Best Westerns. Also enjoyed the compact outdoor pool and breakfast area with a desert setting. It's a mile walk to the downtown amenities, and there's no coffee/food stop nearby (so only 4 stars). They were re-doing the lobby but that should be in shape shortly.

"Low Key and Quiet"
Mary Austin K, 18 Février 2016

The Best Western Inn at Palm Springs is in a good location, 1 mile away from the downtown area and a few blocks from the Ace Hotel, and the best place in town for coffee, Koffi. The pool area is nestled against the base of the mountain, making for a nice desert retreat. The rooms are well-appointed but will be in need of updating soon. Staff is super helpful. A great value for lodging in Palm Springs. We greatly appreciate the pet-friendly policy too.

"Best Western Palm Springs, CA"
russellc114, 16 Février 2016

Exterior looks good. Room we had was outdated. Pool nice. Breakfast poolside is a home run. Repairs needed for bathroom shower fixtures. Getting the right set for a shower was impossible. Room outdated, hard floor surface, no carpet. Location a bit awkward to find.

"Lots of Noise and A Couple of Other Issues"
AGoingGal, 10 Février 2016

The lobby was small and I didn't notice any coffee or tea on offer. We were given a room at the back end of the property that was near the breakfast area. This made things convenient in the morning. the layout requires you to park at one end of the building and then walk through a hallway where rooms are grouped off of it. It is an unusual set up. There are no elevators. There was a lot of noise caused by people slamming their doors. Not their fault I think because our door was difficult to close without slamming because it stuck. The room was nicely decorated and seemed warm and welcoming. All seemed clean enough and I liked the placement of the microwave and refrigerator just off the entry. You go through this area to get to the bathroom. I liked that there was storage space here. I also appreciated the full size vanity that allowed plenty of landing space for our toiletries. The internet was in and out and not very consistent. They have laminate floors in lieu of carpet so you really needed to wear slippers or it was pretty cold underfoot. We checked in at 1740 and at 1915 they gave another couple keys to our room!! We aren't good about setting the dead bolt and we met some nice people who were shocked to find us in the room. Breakfast was strictly continental but the coffee was very good and they did have raisin bread for toasting and hard boiled eggs available which kept me happy. The breakfast area is “al fresco” and set out by the pool area. Most of the seating is also outside. They have heaters placed in the sitting area near the outside fireplace so this made eating outside tolerable. They also have a guest room near the pool designated as an eating area for those people who don't want to sit outside. It was an OK stay but I would probably try somewhere else the next time I'm in Palm Springs.

"No hot water"
Lasue2014, 09 Février 2016

The hotel is quite noisy. We and our friends in another room were unable to get hot water in the shower. at breakfast the toasters did not work. The staff were unable to fix the problem we had to suggest they move the toaster to another outlet which worked.

"Oasis in the Desert!"
bluelakelady, 09 Février 2016

This is a very centrally located hotel with a remodel going on. Our room had been pleasantly updated. The al fresco breakfast was good and is enjoyed around the pool nestled up against the hills. The tiered pool area is a retreat under the palms, but could use some daily maintenance, as there was some broken glass and tables needed wiping down. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Great Location"
Jstfun, 28 Janvier 2016

Hotel staff was great, breakfast was great, televisions and internet not working correctly and appartently are on going problem at this property. The room also had a funny odor, but you couldn't beat the location and the great staff, I would stay again, even with the few issues.

"Great Beds"
Traci B, 25 Janvier 2016

Had to go down to Palm Springs for a Gymnastic competition and did not know were to stay and did not want to spend too much. The hotel is older, but the rooms have been updated. They were clean and had a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. The best part was the comfortable bed. Were were there for 3 nights and never slept better.

"Palm Springs - great; Best Western Palm Springs - not so great."
Nick L, 24 Janvier 2016

On the face of it this hotel seemed like every other Best Western but is priced higher in the range - but ok it is Palm Springs so maybe it would be a more up market experience and worth the extra $$'s - Not So! There were lots of problems with the room and the building itself felt more than a little tired. Significant to the experience were two things - insect presence in the room and a strong unpleasant smell. The insects: Cockroaches? The manager made some effort to explain why there were insects present in the room but his explanation didn't add up. He said the presence of this kind of insect was due to the palm trees being so close and occasionally they come into the room, and that this is so in all desert locations. He claimed that it is common in Las Vegas, I doubt that this is the case. I have stayed in many desert locations and never encountered this before - Phoenix; Santa Fe; Yucca Valley; Flagstaff; Tucson; Austin; Las Vegas NM and Las Vegas NV. To be fair I was offered a reduced rate at check-out because of the insect problem - (reduced from $134.99 to $120.00) this was very much appreciated and went some way to acknowledging that the price could come down a little for the quality of whats on offer. The Smell: I encountered a very strong smell of bleach or some kind of cleaning agent or disinfectant, it wasn't so bad after a time but was still noticeable. It was unpleasant to encounter such a strong chemical smell on entry into the room. It would have helped to open the window but this wasn't possible. The building has an odd construction with no rear aspect. It backs onto the hotel next door - The Vagabond (which also has the same aspect) there was a window in the room facing the back wall of the other hotel which is about 6 feet away. The curtains were fixed closed with the large TV cabinet and desk in front of it so it was impossible to open the curtains and to get to the window to open it. The breakfast was very poor too. very basic with no hot food option. Hot food would have been good especially given that the breakfast area is by the pool - outdoors. On the face of it breakfast by the pool sounds great but in Palm Springs in January its 48 degrees in the morning. Other hotel residents were hugging their coffee looking miserable and complaining about the cold too - Oh well.... Overall this was not the best Best Western Hotel experience - rating #3 in the worst three Best Western experiences of all times - next to #2 Kearney Nebraska (now closed down) and #1, really significant as the worst hotel experience in America, the Best Western Bridge View Motor Inn, Superior WI. The staff were courteous and kind throughout so its a shame about the hotel.

"Wonderful Stay"
Rebecca W, 23 Janvier 2016

Nice clean motel with friendly customer service. The pool and outdoor area to enjoy the Continental Breakfast was awesome and so relaxing. We would stay here again. And the beds were heaven. Great location, right in the heart of Palm Springs.

"Great, helpful staff but hotel is "tired""
katdod50, 21 Janvier 2016

If you can get a room cheap enough, then go for it, as the hotel is in a good location with lots of free parking. They have a decent free breakfast (made to order waffles) around the pool. The hotel needs updating...the carpet in the hallways is simply worn out. However, everything is clean, and our room on the top floor was quiet and comfortable. We got a good price the first time we stayed here and were quite satisfied, but the rate was $25 higher the second time, which is enough to give you pause and look for other hotels in the $100 price range.

"We Really Liked It"
JWo1977, 17 Janvier 2016

We weren't really in Palm Springs to be in Palm Springs, it was just a stop over on a cross country move. This is also a budget hotel, so be aware of that - my 5 stays don't mean it's a 5 star property, just that it exceeded our expectations for the type of property we knew we booked. That said, the suites in this hotel are a hidden treasure in Palm Springs. When you've been cooped up in a car for 10 hours a day, only do be cooped up in a glorified closet of a hotel room with the same occupants of said car, it's nice to have a little room to stretch your legs and this suite did not disappoint. It had a downstairs living/dining/kitchen/patio area and the upstairs had two bedrooms and a very small, but renovated bathroom. Breakfast was a little wanting, I'll be honest, but it was good to put something in our bellies before getting back on the road. If we ever have to make the reverse trip or even stay in Palm Springs for a little time away, this is an affordable, spacious option.

"Quiet hotel, ok location"
Carl Johan C, 14 Janvier 2016

Check in and check out was fast and cheerful. The room was a bit worn, but nice and comfortable - yet with a certain smell (detergent?) that my wife found annoying. Breakfast was good and the outdoor seating worked well (it was cool in the shade, but nice at the other side of the pool in the morning sun in January). Walking to the centre of things (S Palm Canyon) was about 15 minutes - but during the hight of summer, that would probably not be possible!

"Great Family Value"
USCircusMom, 13 Janvier 2016

We're a family of four with two teenage sons. We booked at 8pm for that night. Used AAA card for discount. Once at Inn, we asked for the Booking.com rate which we were granted. Including all fees and taxes, it came out to about $120/night. We asked for a quiet room. The room on the third floor was clean, simple with comfy beds and decently decorated. We liked the continental breakfast in the pool area next to the fireplace. The waffles were made-to-order. Great deal considering we have two growing boys! We also used the heated pool and jacuzzi at night. Overall, the inn had good customer service and great location near downtown off the main drag. Amazing family value if you just need a room and breakfast!

"It was NOT a "Best" Western"
Patricia G, 12 Janvier 2016

This is a run down hotel with a nice pool area. The area is a nice area and convenient to Palm Springs. The room had linoleum floors, a dirty cloth chair, an uncontrolled heater/cooler, poor breakfast presentation. It is just not up to the Best Western standards that I am used too. Don't let the outside fool you.

"Great Value, Great Staff"
Parky04, 06 Janvier 2016

Second stay at this property at again couldn't fault the experience. Large clean room and great breakfast at the pool. Quiet location but well connected to the free PS Buzz trolley. Received excellent service from Cameron on front desk, a charming young man and a great appointment by the hotel. Todd and the the rest of the team were brilliant as ever. Faultless stay and we will return.

"Pleasant stay"
josch1122, 03 Janvier 2016

Very nice property, professional staff. Spacious room, comfortable bed. The room was great with mini fridge, coffee maker, in room safe. Good location, nice neighborhood. Close to downtown, the Indian Canyons, and other attractions.

"Friendly front desk, nice room"
chipnchair, 03 Janvier 2016

Stayed overnight during recent Winter Road Trip while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Front desk was friendly and helpful with area information. We did like that there was good dining located within driving distance. That said, not so sure we would feel super comfortable walking around the area during certain times of the day. We did get a nice room which was updated and there were no issues with it. The walls are thin so if you get noisy neighbors, that could be an issue. We also used the laundry facilities on site and that went well. We were able to get detergent and necessary items at the front desk.

"DO NOT STAY HERE"
Clyde S, 31 Décembre 2015

All has been said, the place is a wreck, no shower curtain, wall paper falling off the wall and the value was way below the travel standard in CA. I use BW for most of my company travel and will never use this venue again. And, its been renovated to boot. I will not use their contractor for the renovation either.

"Expected more...wanted more"
bbfiat, 30 Décembre 2015

For this price I expected more. My dogs hated it, hardwood floors made them slide all over. My little canine girls spent all night on a blanket that we had brought, or on our laps. It was small room with no place to store out luggage out of sight. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. However, I will not stay again, only because I expected a larger room for the price. If it were cheaper, I would stay again.

"Very impressed"
jack L, 19 Décembre 2015

We have returned to this hotel several times a year and this place just gets better and better. It was once a very 'tired' facility but now the rooms have been substantially upgraded. The AC and Heat is efficient and quiet. The bathroom facilities have been all updated. The beds are comfortable and best of all, the staff are very good. Great attitudes at Registration with a courtesy call to the room after check-in to ensure that everything is ok. The staff are great!

"good for overnight stay, nothing special"
Rike H, 15 Décembre 2015

We stayed in the hotel for Thanksgiving break. It is in a very good area and easy to find. Te location is brilliant to go downtown, hiking or just explore the city. The room was ok, really big, but the bathrooms need a little updating. You can hear the TV noises from you next door neighbors, too. Otherwise the rooms are very clean, staff is extremely nice and forthcoming especially at the breakfast area. The breakfast area is outside - in the summer I suppose it is great to have breakfast outside but we had less than 55 degrees audit was freezing although there are heater and a fireplace. the pool area looks inviting, but we have not used it. I had better experiences in a Best Western.

"Worst Best Western Ever"
Ken R, 15 Décembre 2015

Firstly, as a premium member, I was not offered an upgrade which almost all other Best Westerns offer. Secondly, there was no way to control the room temperature and the two nights I stayed there were very cold and I had to sleep with my clothes on under the blankets. Thirdly, the breakfast was outside and the first morning I tried it, it was very windy and cold. The only hot food they had were waffles. I did not even attempt breakfast there the second morning. Overall, this was a poor experience and I would not recommend this Best Western to anybody.

"A very disappointing experience"
miss b, 28 Novembre 2015

This hotel is very noisy. I was very sad to have to call the front desk and ask them to kindly request the people having a party outside to please quiet down, this went on till 3am. I was in a room that was dusty, the shower was very odd & the shower head was placed in such a way that the whole bathroom floor wet, it was odd. Our towels were stained, the bed sheet had crumbs on it and everything had dust on it. I really did not like this hotel and honestly I don't see how this place even stays in business, it was really run down and gross. I am very sorry to say please do not stay stay here, you will regret it as I did.

"WORST WESTERN"
highplainsdrifter411, 28 Novembre 2015

THE WORST best WESTERN I HAVE EVER GOT STUCK IN. USED THE 1-800 Best Westerns Reservations number they put me in this Dump at Palm Canyon. I called to complain but 1-800 Best Western says that cannot help me change the Non-Refundable reservation they made for me....I will have to fight the independent hotel manager. ENTRAPMENT? BAIT & SWITCH? SCAM? And I am Best Western GOLD PLUS Member. This dump has one (1) tiny elevator 4 feet wide by 2 feet deep, for 3 stories of rooms? The halls are not level, the old cement stairs are crooked, tripping hazards everywhere. The pool area had many huge cracks, large holes where I could see kids cutting their feet, falling. The Breakfast had NO HOT FOOD, no eggs, potatoes, bacon/ham/sausage like most Best Westerns, The luggage carts look like bought from junk yard, and wheels hardly roll, Congratulations WORST WESTERN of Palm Canyon Drive.....You are the WORST, Maybe the Best of the WORST.

"Comfortable and cool overnight in PS"
Lomle, 27 Novembre 2015

Our family of 5 stayed here for 1 night in late September. Palm Springs was hot, but the air conditioning in our accommodation was fantastic. We had a two bedroom, two story unit with a full kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of living space downstairs. Kids went swimming in the pool after dark, and breakfast at the pool the following morning was good. The only negative we experienced was our room had no detergent for washing up after cooking. When we asked at reception if they had any available they told us to go to the supermarket and buy some. I was not impressed by their response (and did not spend my 1 night in PS trekking to a supermarket to buy washing up liquid!)

"Palm Springs"
Joe S, 22 Novembre 2015

We found the hotel to be disappointing and not up to Best Western standards in our opinion. The first day we arrived the pool and hot tub were very dirty as well as our room. We woke up on the first morning to cockroaches in the room!

"5+*s on a Budget!"
Rose B, 18 Novembre 2015

I LOVED my stay here... I was accommodated with a ground level room when asked, no questions.. The room was beautiful.. the design, the size, all the details were that of a 5 star hotel!... Microwave, fridge, safe, ironing supplies, coffee maker, hair dryer... every towel folded in a beautiful design, the TV remote sanitized, plenty of coffee and supplies and toiletries... LOVED the hard wood floors! Room was super clean and smelled fresh not perfumed. Quiet, close by all that we could have needed. Plenty of Parking, and above all.. a safe space.

"Will never return and never recommend."
Steve R, 14 Novembre 2015

Worst service I have had in hotel stay .. Won't be coming back to this place. Bad never cleaned my room . Was terrible experience Took hotel staff several times to find the sheets to fit my bed. Then they were not friendly and acted like it was our fault that the room wasn't clean, we confirmed with them that it would be and maid never showed up . They gave us 20.00 off room but at that point big deal with it was 150.00 a night .. Very poor staff and mananagment. Won't be back to this place ever

"only stay here because its cheap"
mrsthoughtful, 10 Novembre 2015

This WAS a hidden gem. No more. Worn out and threadbare. Since being here last they have added a cell tower and accommodating loud fan coolers which come on every couple of minutes while at the pool. You can not talk over it. Obvious the remuneration from the tower outweighs the comfort of the guests. The opposite side of the pool greats you with the A.C system of the Vagabond next door. Forget quiet. The pool deck is very cracked and worn out. The bathroom in the room was very worn out, poor repairs made, no bathtub plug. No fresh air on the lower floor as the window was screwed shut. They are building a new entrance arch, whoopee, put the money in the rooms. Its a good stopover for a night, no longer a good place to spend a few days. Loud conversation between the staff at the pool.Do not stay on the lower floor, way too noisy. .. Price reflects the condition. They have removed carpet from some of the rooms, keep going as its musty. Breakfast is still ok and the beds are ok but smoking at the pool and breakfast area should not be allowed. Its supposedly a non smoking facility .Most residents just sit outside their rooms and you get to enjoy the smell. Best bit was a Roadrunner entertained us at breakfast, serious bird. and the front desk crew is great. Best part of being at this hotel is El Mirasol across the road which is a great place to eat and drink and gab! Cost to enjoyment has fallen.

"Clogged toilet and noisy refrigerator"
Takashi T, 09 Novembre 2015

The toilet is clogged again and again even after fixing it using a tool borrowed from the front desk. The refrigerator was very noisy, but there was no way to shut it down. The hair dryer of the room was broken and out of the order in the room that my friend stayed.

"Great location, average overall for quality, but comfy"
Blondesteven, 09 Novembre 2015

This BW hotel is nice, with large rooms with all conveniences, and with the Palm Springs Buzz Bus (Free) that can pick you up a few blocks away, it's a good deal. Room décor was dated, continental breakfast lame (bad fruit, no cream for coffee, and mediocre quality pastries), and the top sheet on the bed was full of holes!

"You get what you pay for!"
APinkLady, 02 Novembre 2015

This hotel seems tired and dated. Our room was ok, it was off the main walk way on the first floor so no passing customers. I think reception was in the middle of a refurb so hopefully the rest of the hotel will follow. Having said that the hotel was pretty cheap and therefore we got what we paid for I suppose. Staff were polite, helpful and gave good restaurant recommendations. I think if I was in the area again I would pay a little more and stay in one of the larger hotels, mainly for their position and facilities.

"should've paid more and gone elsewhere"
Pamela R, 31 Octobre 2015

price was right, but hotel is very tired-looking and a/c doesnt work well. lots of variation from room to room as far as quality of room and a/c. need good a/c in the desert! breakfast was fine. pool fine also. breakfast and pool area not easily accessible to those unable to walk stairs!

"Better than most 2 star hotels"
debenfl, 21 Octobre 2015

I didn't realize until we arrived that I had stayed at this same hotel in the 70's. Although this is an older property, the grounds are well maintained. We had a room with 2 queen beds, desk with desk chair, another upholstered chair, console with flat screen TV & drawers, combo tub/shower & w/c separate from the basin vanity which had plenty of countertop space for our things & was supplied with complimentary toiletries if you needed them. There was a nook with a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, ironing board & iron, a rod to hang clothes and plenty of space to store luggage. The bath mat & some of the towels appeared a little dingy - worse for wear, but the bed linens were nice. triple sheeted over the comforter, which is a definite plus. (wish all hotels did this) the beds & pillows - 4 pillows per bed, were much more comfortable than a recent stay at a 4 star rated hotel. There were no odors of smoke or febreeze type sprays in the room & it was very quiet. Access is by exterior hallways, there is an elevator & luggage carts. Complimentary breakfast was served poolside, coffee, juice, milk, fruit, cereal, yogurt etc typical for most Best Western's. Although we did not use them, the pool & hot tub are open 24 hrs. This is one of the better 2 star rated hotels we have ever stayed at. The price was less than $100 & we have paid double + that amt for some 3 & 4 star hotels that were not as acceptable to us.

"Small and dingy"
Kristine P, 19 Octobre 2015

Expected more in Palm Springs. Small hotel. Staff didn't go out of way to be friendly. Continental breakfast was small. Hotel room had horrible view (not that we expected great, but were never asked). Things were broken in the room.

"Best Western Palm Springs"
Kenneth J, 19 Octobre 2015

Average facility but very good service and cleanliness. Although the gentleman who checked us in had a bad attitude. He put 1 night stay on our room key when we had two. The rest of the staff was great.

"Palm Springs"
Nona D, 13 Octobre 2015

Had both AARP and Auto Club cards. Another guest got a $99 rate because she had a smart phone that allowed her a much better rate. I have only a simple flip phone from Consumer Cellular. I was lead to beleive my $130 was a good price for a Senior.

"Good Nights Sleep but showing its age!"
Michael M, 12 Octobre 2015

We were here for a weekend overnight stay. First I'll say that we stayed here because we used our member points for a free night. This is definitely an older hotel that is in need of some needed improvements. Not that we were complaining, but the maintenance of things could have been better. Our room was quiet, the air conditioning worked great and the bed was super comfortable. We got a good nights sleep and just loved the bed and bedding. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear some noise from the room above but it was not too distracting. The pool is nice and clean but is also showing its age. The chairs, umbrellas and pool bathroom was clean and things were new. The concrete around the pool was in poor condition and needed to be resurfaced. The breakfast in the morning was very good. They had a variety of fresh fruit, cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs and breads. Not bad at all. We were satisfied with our stay. Everyone on staff was very attentive and friendly. The bed was great, the pool clean and breakfast more than adequate. This property could certainly use a refresh but they are doing well with what they currently have.

"GOOD VALUE & LOCATION, SOME DISAPPOINTMENTS"
mike110742, 10 Octobre 2015

Room: spacious, GREAT bedding, easy to control temperature. Good sleep, near blackout curtains. Refrigerator (used) and micro (not used) Simple but well-presented breakfast by the pool, which looked lovely (I didn't use it.) Staff helpful: put me on first level as requested; retrieved an appliance charger I left in the bathroom; gave me an hour "late" checkout at noon, accompanied by a warning "$15 an hour after noon." Housekeepers were great; tip them! Guest laundry is a major rip at $3.00 wash (41 min front load), $3.00 dry (60 min). About double the charge at SFO hotels. In my opinion, go elsewhere if you have time. My visit was exploratory, and I had a car. Ralphs (major market), a USPS and Elmer's Restaurant all within 1.2 miles. The mountain tram takes you WAY up into San Jacinto forest where it was 40 degrees (vs 100 in the valley). Trevor O'Donnell leads a van-based 3-hour tour of modern architecture, well worth its $85. See his reviews.

"such a disappointment !"
Robert Pierre S, 06 Octobre 2015

Have been going to this hotel for past few years , what a disappointment ! Being remodeled , forget taking a nap! Noisy at nite coming from the main road and from parking where cars come and go all all nite. Trash over the property of hotel residents probably drinking at nite on parking (?) A cat in the window? Did a resident sneaked in his pet ? So no on site manager walking the ground ? No wonder why I sneezed bad when I came in my room! My room may have hosted a cat in the past! Front desk is unfriendly and took forever to check me in so many choice in Palm Springs ! This one is the last one for me

"Great pool, lack of hotel facilities"
carlasalter, 04 Octobre 2015

We stayed at the Best Western Inn @ Palm Springs as part of a road-trip that had been booked through an agency. The hotel is on the outskirts, this doesn't mean that it's a million miles from anything but it's best to have a car - not great if you want to go out for drinks. You'll need a taxi or be happy to walk. It's location makes it quiet, which is great when relaxing by the hotel's greatest asset - the pool. It was 40c + when we stayed so it was welcome respite from the heat! Check in was easy, lady was friendly and giggly. Our room was nice & clean if a bit dark but then again the curtains were best closed to keep the strong sun out! Bed was comfortable too. The room had necessary amenities including toiletries, hair dryer and coffee machine. Only issue we had was not being able to get the shower to work, reception told us in the end but we still weren't sure if it was working correctly. Hotel doesn't have it's own bar/restaurant. Which is a bit of a pain as it's nice to have somewhere to chill out. We drove a few mins into town and grabbed a great meal from Kaiser Grille (I'll review this separately). We didn't sleep well, it was noisy outside our room as the bedroom doors are open to the outside so we hear people milling about. Also the batteries to the fire alarm gave up so we were woken to the very loud beeping, to which my husband had to climb up and remove them! It was the worst night's sleep we had on the whole trip. Breakfast was included in the price which was very handy. We enjoyed an all you can eat continental buffet outside in the warm climate. Check out was quick and easy.

"Great value in Palm Sprinsg"
VenturaCoTraveler, 03 Octobre 2015

Great place, very good value and close enough to Downtown. Dog friendly without all of the ridiculous fees that so many place in Palm Springs like to charge. We really enjoy visiting Palm Springs and the Downtown area has more entertainment to offer then most of the other areas in the Valley.

"Good Hotel"
james f, 03 Octobre 2015

This was a lovely hotel, clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious, our friends had a problem with their air conditioning and it was no problem in changing them too another room . Breakfast filling and plenty and a very good location too enjoy it, by the side of an early morning pool. When we returned too the hotel around 10.30ish pm we were amazed that the pool was still open for late night swimming and chillaxing.

"Good location, good price "
heusa, 18 Septembre 2015

Really good price. 10 minute walk to city centre of Palm Springs. Pool open 24hrs and heated so swimming at night is possible. Really good breakfast. Clean room, hot shower. Room cleaned and towels replaced daily. The people at the front desk were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also really good. Good spread of choices
