"A hidden gem in padova"

GreldonKB, Italy 07/03/2021

This small hotel is central enough to be walking distance from Padova centre yet not in the traffic restriction zone, and offers secure parking for a reasonable fee. They gave me a tastefully decorated room with a brilliant private terrace, a comfortable bed, good toiletries, soft towels, and an unexpected jacuzzi. The shower was brilliant too. Breakfast was good. I particularly liked the nice touch of a book exchange library. I will certainly return.

"Way beyond expectation!"

J3087CSjohnt, Glasgow, United Kingdom 22/10/2019

This was a last minute pick on the train going into Padova. Wish I could always be so lucky. The light, airy bedroom was good sized with a mix of fresh modern and traditional fittings. En-suite was spacious, well-appointed and with a jacuzzi bathtub. The south facing veranda was big enough for table, chairs and a sunbed. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough to do it justice! A quirky breakfast room provided a more than adequate breakfast to start the day. I thought location might be a downside, but no, the hotel is a fifteen minute walk/€8 taxi ride from the station. Located in the old part of town the hotel was a fifteen minute meander through porticoed streets to the heart of Padova, passing plentiful cafes, bars and restaurants on the way. With no negatives, Hotel Patavium was a winning pick way beyond my expectations.

"Good small City Hotel"

Leadon, England 21/10/2019

Stayed here two nights to explore Padua, chosen for its location and private secure parking. We were very satisfied with Hotel Patavium, the room was reasonably spacious with a good sized bathroom both very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfasts were very good with a good continental selection and freshly made coffee. The location is within walking distance of the major sights in the city with plenty of restaurants to choose from

"Beautiful Hotel...outside old City but not far"

john b, Valparaiso, Indiana 17/10/2019

This Hotel is first class. Train station is close...we walked. Outside Old City by about 3- blocks. We walked, no problem, but we ate dinner at the opposite end of the Old part. Beautiful room. Small/tight because they has a nice size bed plus a pull out couch. All new. Pictures are what you get. We had a deck with chairs. Very clean. Great bed, great bathrooms and towels. Staff was great. Breakfast very good. Would recommend for business or tourist. Price, very reasonable for what you get. If too far to walk...stay here, take a cab to wherever.

"Very good "

imhonot, UK 13/10/2019

A pleasant 10 or 15 minute walk away from the town centre and a very clean modern stylish interior . Very comfortable bed in a large bedroom , large modern bathroom , jacuzzi bath ,great towels , bedding and amenities . Room was dark and quiet to sleep in . We didn't have breakfast but turn left and within 50 metres there's a great little cafe doing the best coffee we had in Padua for €1 , a third of the price in the cafes of the main squares .

"Perfect hotel"

Good hotel in a perfect area in Padova. This hotel is situated near the train station. The room is big and clean. The staff are cordial. The car parking is present but is a payment. 10€/day for each car

"Nice hotel, but owner does not understand payment system"

VicM, Australia 16/07/2019

This was a great hotel, close to the train station and a pleasant 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre and attractions. I would have given this hotel a 5, unfortunately, when I arrived the owner told me I had not pre paid for the room & demanded payment. I booked through AMOMA & had definitely prepaid. After a few words with the owner I paid in cash again. Later at checkout, a young gentleman was at reception & I queried payment with him, he checked paperwork & advised I had prepaid & that the hotel just had to request payment from AMOMA, which he did & received immediate transfer from AMOMA. So I had paid twice, I requested my over payment back, the poor guy had to withdraw cash from his own account to pay me, as banking for day had been done. Thank you again for doing that, I hope your rather incompetent boss gave you money back & I hope you explained the process to him as you saved him from getting a score of 1. Back to the hotel, as I said a great little hotel, modern and very clean, room a little tight for 3 people, but still very nice. Bathroom also very clean and modern, with excellent water flow. Beds were comfortable, room very quite. Breakfast was quite good, a little less than you would expect from a Best Western, but still adequate. Overall a good stay, I would definitely go back, the hotel deserves a 5 and the owner should understand the payment system before he mans the front desk. Again, thanks to the young man at reception, you went well beyond what is required from you as an employee.

"Súper hotel"

Amazing small hotel, absolutely ideal for short stay, it's right in the middle of the town, with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere that surround the place during the night. The rooms are quiet small but super clean and the staff is nice and polite.

"Nice and well located hotel"

ozgep94, Padua, Italy 26/10/2018

The hotel is very close to the center and the train station, so in a good position. And the area is quite. It has nice rooms and shower and a very comfy bed. But it would be nicer if they have more things for breakfast. In general it is a nice hotel.

"Small and good for the short stay"

talgatd, Almaty, Kazakhstan 16/07/2018

The choice for Padova came as convenient place between Venice and Verona. It says that the hotel located in the center but it is not real center. They say that center is what inside is the old walls. It will take about 15-20 minutes walk to reach the center. The rooms are small and clean. Breakfast is very simple. The good thing about hotel, it is about 15 minutes walk to the train station. And not very expensive.

"Excellent choice in Padova"

SoCy33, Campinas, SP 01/07/2018

This was an excellent choice. The hotel is very comfortable, nice atmosphere, cosy, close to the city center, quiet, and it offers a great breakfast. The staff is nice and friendly! I was in Padova for a conference, but I greatly recommend it for anyone!

"Padova Hotel"

Delightful Hotel within 20-25 minutes walking distance to St. Anthony's and the train station. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. As we got in around 7:30pm and were looking for someplace to have dinner. The young lady at the desk was helpful is suggesting a place about 2-3 blocks away, even phoning them to make sure they were open. (they were). As i am learning Italian and wanting to speak the language, she was very patient with me and even helpful in encouraging/correcting our conversation. They next day, they let us leave our bags onsite while we walked down/back to St. Anthony's before catching the train to Milan. Breakfast was just lovely in their large, clean, indoor/outdoor dining room. Food was plentiful including hard boiled eggs, yogurt, meats , fruits and pastries. Better than just a continental breakfast. Room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom....and quiet location.

"First Impressions!"

User 06/06/2018

After driving for over 2 hours on a mad, truck laden freeway we were understandably tired and irritable. We then arrived at Hotel Patavium and were immediately unimpressed with the appearance of the hotel and it's immediate surroundings. We struggled but eventually managed to find somewhere to park. Note that the hotel has access to secured parking a couple of hundred metres away and the charge is 10 euro per day. At reception we were led through the dining area, out into the rear garden and shown into an outbuilding at the far end. “Oh god” we thought! We settled in however and quickly realised that our accommodation was, in fact, very nice indeed.... a bit like a self contained granny annexe. Largish bedroom with beamed sloping ceiling, really good sized walk in robe/ luggage storage area and a terrific bathroom which seemed to have brand new fittings including a shower with a huge ‘rainwater' head. Electrically operated window blinds, efficient and quiet a/c, a safe and best of all no noise from traffic or neighbouring rooms. So, very happy. We then realised that we had arrived at siesta time so the neighbourhood looked dead because all the shops were closed. A walk into town revealed that Padua is a big place and home to all the top fashion shops. We chose Padua as a destination as we intended to spend a lot of time in Venice and didn't want the hassle of parking in the immediate outskirts or paying huge prices for hotels within the City. Venice is 20/30 minutes by train and the station is about a 20 minute walk. A word of caution. The railway station and the adjoining streets are, at night, frequented by large numbers of young back men and it's not a particularly ‘comfortable' feeling making your way along the dark streets. You may want to get a taxi (6/8 euro) back to the hotel. After some initial unfounded concerns we eventually had a fabulous time in Padua, the Patavium and Venice.
