Best Western Lodge at River's Edge

The Lodge at River's Edge has the best staff, location and amenities of any BW we stay at - and we stay exclusively at BW's when we travel. The staff are friendly and efficient. They do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is good. The patio setup is wonderful. During the riding season, they have a bike washing station with a bucket, hose, soap and microfiber towels. If you're a fisherman, they have a fish cleaning room. There are plenty of places to eat - all within walking distance of the hotel. During the summer, they have a happy hour in the lobby with beer, wine, etc. They have a Guest Igloo if you are traveling with friends and want an exclusive place to get together in the evening (and it comes with a gift basket). The rooms are large and always cleaned to the highest standards. The River View rooms have a deck overlooking the Clearwater River and Highway 12 on the other side. The access to Lolo Pass is 2 blocks away. Perfect for those who come to ride the pass to Lolo and back. And, if you're on a motorcycle, they leave 2 water bottles under your bike in the morning so you stay hydrated during your ride that day. If you haven't tried this hotel, you're missing out.

This is a very well managed hotel. The location next to the river is beautiful, and the staff were all helpful, courteous and kind. The hotel is very clean and pleasant, and I recommend it highly! We always prefer Best Western hotels because they allow pets.I made a mistake in my reservation by not contacting the hotel direclty to confirm that my dog was coming along. Two days before our arrival I called to make sure all was in order, and I discovered my mistake and that the pet rooms were all taken. I was in an absolute panic! Danielle at the front desk worked tireless to contact other guests to see if some rooms could be rearranged, and she made it happen. She kept us informed, and by the time we arrived we had a place to stay with our dog. I was so impressed by her amazing customer service and her willingness to work so hard to solve a problem I had caused! When a hotel has this caliber of staff, you know you are staying at an excellent property! Hats off to the Local Management!

This hotel implemented a texting option to keep us up to date on hotel amenities. They also have a pre checking in process that made it so smooth at check in. The room was comfortable and clean. The amenities were exceptional

My room was clean, the pool and spa was fun, the staff was friendly and the continental breakfast hit the spot. Also, there was a very beautiful view of the Clearwater River. If I had to find a reason to complain then I would have to say "bring the price down a little". But then again I'm cheap and still not used to this inflation.

Breakfast was delicious with tons to choose from and the room was very clean and comfy. The staff was amazing and very kind and helpful. What a gorgeous view and amenities. We will definitely be back!

Good breakfast lots of food. Nice and quite. My biggest complain was the closing of the pool area. Went to sit in the hottub little after 11pm and it was closed with my schedule I'm awake during the night early mourning was really looking forward to the hot tub didn't get to use it. There's no reason to close the pool there is staff working.

We love staying at this hotel and can't recommend it enough! The location is quiet and the views and outdoors are amazing. The beds are so comfortable - the most comfortable we've ever slept in at a hotel. Everyone who works here is friendly, helpful, and so positive. We always look for Best Westerns now wherever we need a place to stay!

Enjoyed the setting by the River and the staff treated our dog, family member, so well. The woman who prepared breakfast was so thoughtful and helpful. Will definitely stay here next time we are in town.

Excellent service, from check in, to breakfast and check out. The clerk who checked us in even remembered our name the next day and was additionally helpful after checking in making sure we had the extras I asked for. The room had a great view and was extremely comfortable. To top it off, the hotel even has a place plus supplies for washing our motorcycles!

Awesome location. Very clean. Very scenic right along the Clearwater River. Awesome staff that seemed to care about their guests. They had recommendations on where to see things in the area and they had a great dinner recommendation. Complimentary water bottles by each motorcycle in the morning. Complimentary bike washing station with water soap and towels.

We are on a road trip of Western States and were working our way from Boise to Whitefish. We chose Orofino as our stop for the night, due to the Rivers Edge Best Western. We had a very nice room overlooking the river. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating. It was a great stopover, along a beautiful drive.

For a lovely experience please stay here! The entire place is beautiful. The staff is completely amazing. Loved this stay! Also the restaurant next door is handy and has a good selection. 3 nights was not enough!

This establishment far exceeded my expectations. Customer care and satisfaction is their goal. The facilities are gorgeous inside and out. I will most definitely be staying there again and recommending this location to everyone I know.

Fun trip & BW is our Favorate Hotel to use. Staff was very friendly. We love the breakfast variety. Beds are very comfortable. I loved the BW in Orofino ID right on the river. We were amazed at finding 2 bottles of water by our bikes in the morning.

Admittedly, I am somewhat sentimental about the Orofino BW as we stayed there 6 years ago with friends and had a wonderful time. Sadly, one of our friends has since passed, so our return this summer was bittersweet. However, our 2023 stay was once again worth the trip. We appreciated the little extras which add up in a big way: the social hour and complimentary beverages and snacks, the fresh lemonade/iced tea/coffee/tea/ice water and COOKIES, the abundant complimentary breakfast, the bottles of cold water beside our motorbikes in the morning, the bike wash station, the recommendations for local dining by the always friendly front desk ladies. We love the setting on the river and spent much time in the lovely patio area. When possible, we stay at BW wherever we travel as it is typically a very satisfactory experience, but the Orofino BW is definitely outstanding. Although the amazing motorbike rides are what draw us to the area, the Orofino BW is in itself a destination. We've recommended it to many others and will be back!

We stayed 2 nights on our way home. We were beyond happy and impressed with the hotel. Everything was outstanding. All the staff we friendly, and caring. The breakfast was outstanding, and plenty of seating and the view is incredible.

The atmosphere from the riverview rooms is amazing to me! I open the window at night so I can hear the river. So therapeutic to have breakfast and coffee with a book on the balcony looking over the river!

We have nothing but praise for the employees. In every aspect from check-in to check-out we were impressed by the dedication of the entire staff. We travel extensively both in the United States and abroad. It is a surprise to get this level of service in a small town in rural Idaho. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to return soon.

Friendliest staff - great rooms and breakfast was great. Enjoyed all the perks and gift shop offered many cute things. Did purchase a shirt and greeting cards. The social hour and snacks were a welcome after a long drive

My three-night stay was one of the best lodging experiences I've had in my decades of travel. The lodge, grounds, and my room were exquisitely clean and cared for. Quiet, serene setting, and calm, helpful, resourceful staff.

The Orofino location is one of my favorite places to stay! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We have stayed in a regular room as well as mini suite on different occasions and both were clean and comfortable. The rooms on the river side have balconies on which to enjoy the beautiful views! There is a restaurant across the parking lot that we appreciated both for the location and for the delicious food! Breakfast is similar to other locations, but the dining area was large and open, or you could choose to sit at the tables outside overlooking the river. All around a relaxing stay for us!

The excellent breakfast alone makes the Lodge at the River the best choice. Staff are are great. Rooms are clean, modern I decor and comfortable. The lodge is a beautiful facility with lots of wildlife accents and paintings/photos. A great place to stay.

Our second time staying at the BW Lodge at River's Edge, in a riverview room. It is right on the edge of the beautiful Clearwater River with a mountain ridge beyond. Room very clean and comfortable. Liked having the sink counter outside the bathroom. Cookies in the evening (choc chip or oatmeal raisin, individually wrapped, warmed briefly in room microwave, yum!) Good selection of hot and cold breakfast items. They even had peaches, strawberries, chocolate chips and whipped topping for the waffles (if you need sugar free syrup though, bring your own.) All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is in an incredible location next to the famous Clearwater River. They have great food, a free happy hour, a fish cleaning station, an outdoor patio that overlooks the river. I am always excited to stay here when I get to go to Orofino for work.

A very reasonably priced river front property. We had views of lovely fall color with fly fisherman in the river. Sound proofing in the rooms isn't great. But I would still stay again without hesitation!

I am in healthcare and a bit of a “clean-freak” myself, so when I go into a hotel room (I have travelled allot) – I rather naturally look for details. Everything was perfect! Even the deck chairs and table outside were clean (grit-less). The rooms are very, very clean and every detail is simply perfect. Wow. I understand the value of great staff and how much the cleanliness means to most customers. There is not a nicer hotel anywhere! And what helps makes it superb, is the staff (everyone) and the cleanliness. From the front desk to the breakfast staff to the housekeepers- ALL ARE THE BEST!

We decided to take a different route from Montana to Seattle than the usual I-90 route. We went through southern Idaho, which was a gorgeous drive, and Orofino Best Western promised river view rooms. We had a lovely evening on our balcony, terrific Mexican food nearby. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and decorated very attractively. The front desk clerk even allowed us to freeze something we were trying to keep frozen through the road trip. Excellent experience!

This BW is located along the Clearwater River. It is a beautiful hotel run by friendly professionals. Conveniently located near Dworshak Dam for fun on the lake. Conveniently located close to a variety of restaurants.

I was fortunate enough to earn a free nights stay at a Best Western. I also used some of my points for another free night. We booked our stay at Lodge at River's Edge in Orofino. What a wonderful experience. I will definitely stay again. Rooms were awesome, especially the river view rooms. The outside patio was awesome and the view was awesome.

Very pet friendly, had a doggy bed, pet bowls and treats! That was incredibly welcoming. Breakfast was great and always stocked and clean. Pool was clean, towels were always stocked. This is a really nice facility and it's extra amazing being right next to the clear water river. Next time we hope to get a balcony room! My family lives in the area and I was able to have the grandkids over to swim. The staff was very nice. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

I travel a lot because of my job and stay at a lot of IHG hotels and I have to say this BW outshines them all. The staff members are all very professional and the scenery is outstanding. The hotel needs to put more directional signs out on the main road, hard to find unless you have GPS.

This is an excellent stay BW in a small town. Great a/c in 100 degree plus weather. Spacious clean rooms with good lighting. Good towels & bedding. Spacious clean entry/front desk/breakfast area. Great hotel and great staff a must stay for anyone, Best Western plus is the best valve and convenience for any trip highly recommend for your stay. Very Clean rooms and always can locate in any city or town that has this hotel and great for people that ride motorcycles they treat them right.

The location of the hotel along the river was amazing. My room was clean and comfortable. They have an outside sitting area overlooking the river that was a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Great little town.

From the get go this place was great. Hostess was very friendly, we arrived during happy hour and each had a glass of wine, and the room was clean and cool. After staying at the Silver Creek Inn in Bellevue Idaho and the Ashley Inn in Cascade Idaho, this one seemed like we had gone to heaven. Very nice place to stay and keep up the good work Best Western.

This hotel always exceeds my expectations. From check in to check out your stay in Orofino is complete. Kids swam in the pool, internet was great and mom didn't have to worry about breakfast. It is the best place to stay while in town so generally you see friends also staying when in the lobby. The outdoor seating is beautiful as well. Very thankful Orofino has this destination in the heart of town.

Stopped over in Orofino and stayed at this Gem. Every detail in this hotel is perfectly executed and customer service is #1. Restaurant next door was a great addition to our stay. Don't miss the bakery and coffee shop close by.

Awesome experience-the staff was amazing-definitely motorcycle friendly- they have a bike washing station-when we went to our bikes to leave each bike hah 2 bottles of water next to them for us to drink-there's a great Resturant next to the hotel- we will absolutely stay here again- wished we could give them more than 5 stars- you want a great experience stay here!!!

We came for a wedding and stayed here 4 nights. The staff here are top notch and the room was excellent. You can't beat the riverside location with walking distance to the local bars and shops. We'll be back!

This BW is truly the best in the network of BW hotels. They have the most pleasant staff and they are as efficient as they are nice. From Memorial Day to Labor Day they have social hour with wine and munchies from 4:00 to 5:00. For people like us who travel by motorcycle, they have a bike washing station with bucket, soap and microfiber towels to clean your bike up. For those who are fishermen, they have a fish cleaning room where you can clean your daily catch. The lodge sits right on the Clearwater River and you can opt for Riverside rooms that have a gorgeous view of the river below. The breakfast selections are great and The Edge next door has great dining for lunch or dinner. There are other good restaurants available nearby that you can walk to. And best of all, they are located right on Highway 12 (Lolo Pass) which is a great road to ride over to Missoula, MT and back if you desire. But the very best part of this destination hotel is the staff. They are simply great at their jobs.

As we sat outside our room on the river's edge an eagle circled above with a large fish in its talons. The beds are super comfy. Our grandkids loved the big pool. The full breakfast rivals restaurants.

This is a really lovely, high quality hotel. Very well appointed rooms and common areas, sparkling clean, great staff and amazing location. Breakfast was one of the best I've seen and indoor pool was tons of fun. It's a bit pricey compared to the other options in the area, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend the river view rooms - stunning!

This could be a destination instead of just a stop en route in vacation travel. Friends made the reservation for me as a transit stop on my way home from a gathering in Walla Walla. The drive to Orofino was beautiful and the motel site was spectacular on the edge of the river. My room balcony on the river side was the unexpected bonus.

Great hotel, perfect on the river. Very clean and beautiful. The breakfast was very nice. Great service for our fur baby! Finding grass for potty was a little challenging. Walked across the street, but private yards.

Staff and hotel were fantastic. Plus the breakfast and pool areas were always well kept. This will be our place to stay whenever we travel north to visit friends. Oh one last thing! The river along side the hotel was beautiful, be sure to wake up early morning and take a stroll to help wake you up.

The Best Western in Orifino Id is the nicest hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at. Clean and friendly staff. Good quick check in. Ultra Friendly staff. The hotel is in a great easy to get to location with some really nice view of the Clearwater river. Close to down town and plenty of good spots to eat at.

Right on the Clearwater River, make sure you pay a little extra for a room on the river side. Saw an eagle diving for fish in the river from my balcony multiple times. Hot tub was hot, pool was cool! Will definitely be back!

The room was immaculate, the staff was very helpful and gracious. I was very impressed with the way the Lodge was decorated. Very homey atmosphere. The deck outside was near the Clearwater River and we enjoyed the wilderness.

The hotel is on the banks of the Clearwater River that has a nice view of the river and surrounding mountains. The hotel is very clean and the all the staff I have interacted with were very nice. The breakfast area in the morning is maintained very well.

This was our seventh visit to this property, after nearly 20 nights we've never experienced any problems that weren't handled with with grace and professionalism. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the views from the river view rooms are awesome.

This is a great location whether traveling for business or pleasure. The hotel is right on the banks of the Clearwater River in the historic town of Orofino. This hotel is my choice to stay whenever I am in Orofino. If you are traveling on US 12 through Idaho and you're looking for a nice place to stay, without going into Lewiston or all the way to Missoula, depending on the direction you're going, definitely check this place out.

I love Orofino and this is by far the best place to stay. The Edge restaurant next door is very good. Prices were fair and the wine list was surprisingly long & of great quality. The room was perfectly clean & quiet. The lodge sits on the Clearwater River with great views.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and a well-stocked continental breakfast. We always get a room facing the river--beautiful. They offer suites for a bit more but the hot tub in the room is great. The surrounding area offers much to see and do, whether fishing, hiking or just soaking up the scenery.

Who doesn't want to stay in a clean and friendly hotel? The pool area was spotless and always stocked with clean towels. The hotel room was very roomy, clean and beautiful bedding (lots of pillows!) and the bathroom was equally as nice. For the price of this room, you can't beat a getaway to Orofino, ID. Lastly, the staff is amazing, particularly the lady working the breakfast in the morning. The entire time my family was eating she was running back and forth restocking and helping customers, she never stopped, always had a smile and was very very kind. This is a great place to take a family for a night or a weekend away!

Great Place to stay!!! Friendly staff and quick check in and express check out. Nice clean rooms, great time saving breakfast and extra friendly staff. There are river view rooms with a great view of the Clearwater Rivers just yards away from the building.

A great hotel and staff. I booked the dog room. It came equipped with dog bowls, treats and a bed. The room was clean. The hotel is beautifully decorated. There is a banquet room and a lovely deck looking out over the river.

Nice clean and Awsome staff. Beautiful lobby views of river and wild life. Hot tub and pool was clean and plenty of seating for our family gatherings. Breakfast was great clean and great tasting. Top of the line for a motel.

Beautiful scenery throughout. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the breakfast the next morning was the best I have had at a hotel for a long while. The town of Orofino itself is pretty small, but there were plenty of adventures and hikes for us to do.

We enjoyed our stay in early November 2021 at the BW Lodge at River's Edge in Orofino ID. Clean hotel and room. Liked having the sink area separate from the shower. If it had been warmer, would have spent more time on the private balcony of our 3rd floor room just enjoying the river view and sounds. Good size mini fridge, but no freezer compartment. All staff very pleasant and helpful.

Fishing/leisure trip. The BW in Orofino if you decide to fish the Clearwater River. It's literally right on the river. There's a good restaurant next door. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding!

Made this reservation traveling cross country, I needed to upgrade the room, so I called, spoke with a lovely lady, Stacy- She took care of picking the room. I received an email ahead of time of time to check in, so I did, but the system took away my upgrade and it was Stacy to the rescue, She remembered speaking with re: the upgrade and took care of it by calling me and confirming and to our surprise, she upgraded us upon arrival and what a beautiful room, fantastic service.

Dont pass by this lodge without staying a night. Such a great place. Nothing was bad about it. Stayed for 2 nights. My wife and I felt like royalty. Had a spa and fireplace in room. Balcony overlooked the river. Beautiful

As an earlier poster indicated, I think this the best BW ever! I had increased my reservation to two nights to explore the history of the surrounding area, but getting to stay in this hotel two nights was wonderful. Not only is the hotel pleasing to the eye, it was very comfortable and all staff members were extremely kind and helpful. If you can, get a riverview room. It is so worth it! The Clearwater River is gorgeous, especially from a private balcony. Covid precautions were very good and made for a more relaxed stay. I loved my stay here.

We stumbled upon this hotel as we drove into town and loved everything about our stay. The proximity to the river was such a treat. The decor inside the lobby and outside the patio were perfect for the setting. The room and bed were comfortable. The hot breakfast in the morning was a pleasant surprise and all of the staff we encountered were kind and helpful.

This is a great hotel with a good breakfast. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We would recommend this place to anybody. It is clean and really a great get away. Overlooking the clearwater river is beautiful.

Your entire staff helped in anything we ask. Gave us water upon arrival, had water by our motorcycle the next day with a note to have a safe trip. Manager came to my room to assist in getting my cell phone setup in order to make calls. Gave us directions to walk a few blocks for dinner since it was Labor Day and the restaurant next door was closed. Lite the outside fire pit so that guest could enjoy. Had wine and beer to purchase with snacks. Sit outside by the river and had fun talking with other guests. Had a great view of the river from our room and a great balcony to sit out on. Just a relaxing stay and all staff was so kind and treated you like you were their only guest. A big 10 in our books and a great place to stay. Will go again and stay here longer than 1 day.

The Best Western in Orofina, Idaho has a very friendly office and housekeeping staff. I have stayed here multiple times in 2021 and they have always been accommodating for any requests. The Rivers Edge Restaurant in on site and the food is excellent. Continental Breakfast is great. Lots of variety.

This Best Western is right on the river. So nice to sit outside your room facing the river. There is ample parking with easy access while carrying luggage and the hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly, professional and accomodating.

This is an a very nice hotel sitting on the rive with a veil of the mountains. The employees are very nice and accommodating. The breakfast is excellent. I definitely recommend staying here. Don't miss the happy hour. The pool and hot tub is also inviting.

My husband and I travelled to stay at this location with friends who have stayed there several times before this trip. We have not been staying at Best Westerns lately due to prior negative experiences. This location is amazing, The hotel is located on a beautiful river and the hotel mirrors that beauty inside. The room we had facing the river was exceptional. The staff was friendly and always will to help us, The outdoor patio by the river was worthy of a very high end hotel, yet the price of this hotel was very affordable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay here in the future.

What a pleasant surprise during a long drive. Everyone was friendly and facilities were all good. Pool, breakfast,views, town info was perfect. A great stopover for us. We walked into little town for some great Salmon dinner at the ponderosa diner. Priced right also.

The Best Western in Orofino, Idaho was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We had a third floor room with a balcony overlooking the Clearwater River. The bed was SO comfortable! The complimentary breakfast was very good. Most importantly, we don't remember ever staying anywhere with a friendlier staff...the ladies at the front desk, the lady taking care of the breakfast area, the housekeepers....everyone was just wonderful!! We will definitely stay here again and are more likely to stay at a Best Western elsewhere because of the excellent experience we had.

The setting couldn't be more beautiful, the staff more friendly, or the room as large, clean and comfortable. This is a hidden gem if you're traveling between or through Lewiston and Missoula. Great value, too.

Great room, the suite was amazing and well worth the money. Can't beat the view, staff and cleanliness. They host a great breakfast and are always friendly asking any questions. It was our anniversary and they helped our daughter plan/set up wonderful surprises for us. It was a trip we will never forget.

During the days of Covid, i was dreading going to a hotel for fear of masks, paper bags of food, no pool, and all the other crap people are succumbed to, boy was I in for a treat, it felt like the old days all over again, normal people taking care of each other, enjoying each others company. Amazing people that are running this place, great breakfast, nice rooms with great A/C ( it had been over 100 for over two weeks while we were there), amazing views. great experience. I almost don't want to post a review due to I'm a little selfish. We saw this place 2 yrs ago on a motorcycle ride with my wife & son. fell in LOVE with the area and town. We decided to travel there this July 2021 with our group of 15 people., I can't say enough about the staff & the facility. Above & Beyond is an understatement. They took GREAT care of us and we met new Friends Dennis & Julie who stay there often, and were willing to spend time with us (which we loved). We travel all over the west and this was by far the best place we have stayed. I want to thank the staff and management for the great work they do. Any time we travel to the area, This will be our stop. THANK YOU !!

Can't say enough about the staff and location! SPOT ON! Never a problem and if you need anything…Ask, they will help. If traveling on bikes, they will take care of you and your group. If traveling by car and you need something…all they will help! Social hour right before fireworks, fantastic! The fireworks…phenomenal!!!

The place is super staffed with the nicest people. I made reservations the day before on a spontaneous trip on a busy 4th of July weekend. I was well taken care of by the manager Stacey, whom took my call, held a room for over an hour as my wife and I debated the trip and then gladly booked us the room we requested. Because it was so late on the reservations there was no river side rooms available, however Stacey kept looking for us in hopes that someone might cancel up to about 4 hours AFTER we already arrived and checked in. Stacey and the staff were amazing and we hope to be back with a riverside view next time. Place was spotless and pool accommodations were great. Had a great weekend thanks to them.

Every aspect of this hotel exceeded expectations!! What a magnificent property!! Thoroughly impressed and please with the people, our stay, our room, parking, location, amenities, you name it. This place is fantastic and a great value too for the money. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This was the greatest hotel all around that I have ever stayed at. From the outsude of the property to the inside, it was great. The free happy hour was the icing on the cake. The water bottles left in front of the motorcycles every morning was so nice. We had a river view room and it was fantastic! Will be a regular property we come to when traveling.

My husband and I stayed here for an out-of-town wedding in early April and our stay was wonderful. I highly recommend upgrading your room to riverfront - it is worth the extra few bucks. The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean and fresh and the room itself had ample space. The staff's eagerness to serve and satisfy your needs and requests is unmatched. Only negative remarks I have is that the noise in the halls carries at times into your room, but nothing too disruptive. The hot tub had a small odor due to overuse, but was quickly addressed by management. I'll end with the positive start this hotel gave me - it's complementary breakfast. It offered hot food and even a waffle-maker with all the fixings. There was truly something for everyone. If I ever find myself out that way again this will be the place I'll be returning to!

The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. She gave us a room on the 2nd floor with a river view and a beautiful view of the evergreen-covered hillside. The workers were all very friendly, including the housekeepers. There was a gift shop. Coffee available all day. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the sun, listening to the river rapids.

This was our second stay and we put it at the top of our list for a road trip destination hotel. The rooms are very clean and quiet (!), the staff is very friendly, and the view is awesome! The long drive from Oregon was totally forgotten as we were sitting on the balcony listening to the river and watching the deer on the hillside. Great place to decompress. Great hot breakfast, too!

I am originally from Orofino and love to visit. We typically stay at the Helgeson but this time decided to stay at the Best Western. We did not regret the decision. We were provided great service, the room was affordable, the hotel is clean and you can't beat being right next to the Clearwater.

It was a great place to stay. My parents home isn't super kid friendly, so it was where we could stay, and the kids could enjoy their spring break as well!!! The pool was open, and the breakfast was fantastic.

The thermostat doesn't work. Comes on for a few seconds and then shuts off. It is set on 80 and I have 2xtra blankets on my bed. Complained 2 times in 1.5 hours over the neighbors. We could be moved, but the party boys could not. If you want to get sleep during a winter getaway, you should look elsewhere.

My husband and I had the best service at this hotel! We wanted a quick getaway to go fishing and we picked this this Best Western to stay at. Every employee was amazing! They were very courteous and very helpful. Our room was very clean and nice! We will definitely be back to stay at this hotel!

This hotel is kept top notch. Big rooms, wonderful views of the river, comfy beds, no complaints. We had a king river view room. It has a wonderful balcony and nice layout. We enjoyed the breakfast even during covid, it was staff served.

Everything was great except the parking. Trucks with boats parking across 5 spots made parking annoying. get some designated spots for this not right next to the building. I cant be the only one to bring this up.

The Clearwater River and Orofino Creek really do come together at the hotel's edge. From my balcony I've watched deer walking in the moonlight along the shallows, geese resting for the night, snowy egrets preening, rafters drifting by, and fishermen who seem to favor the mouth of the Orofino Creek flowing into the Clearwater River... Nature at its finest.

Our family had a wonderful night at the Best Western Rivers Edge in Orofino. Beautiful views from our room. Super clean and beautiful pool. We enjoyed time at the pool. Then Breakfast the next morning was wonderful.

If you are traveling in Northern Idaho around HW 21, you will run across a beautiful town called Orofino,, along the Clearwater River lies the Lodge At River's Edge! Beautiful setting and wonderful place to stay even if you stop early!! Staff is the finest I have ever run across,, it is our destination 3 or more times a year,, especially at New Years where we have stayed for 10+ years! Can't beat it!! They have many rooms overlooking the Clearwater River,,, and a number of lovely suites to chose from,, if available!!

Everyone was friendly and helpful, breakfast had everything! Little link sausages, biscuits and gravy, waffles real fruit in a syrup, tortillas, eggs, apple and orange juice, honey, coffee all day. Beds were extremely comfortable. Staff was always right there, attentive, kind and accommodating. Absolutely beautiful. Great prices. Will be back!

This Best Western is clean, has lots of the modern amenities, and is directly on the river, so the view and the sound are beautiful. Hot breakfast was yummy, and it's near the best restaurant in town, The Edge.

Beautiful locale on the Clearwater River. The hotel and room were really clean and comfortable. The hot tub in the room was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The adjacent restaurant, Dining on the Edge was excellent!

The Lodge at River's Edge is an excellent choice if you are planning a fish trip to the Orofino area. The staff are pleasant and followed the COVID guidelines. I would stay there during future fishing trips and passed that on to Jones Guide Service.

This is a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful view, friendly staff & great breakfast! It is also walking distance to downtown Orofino. If you like the night life there are several bars that you can walk to and unwind for the evening.

Room was comfortable & spacious & clean. Upon entering hotel you were welcomed with professional staff who efficiently checked us in and thanked us for staying professional decor. Breakfast was the best I have had at a motel. Hot, fresh & a variety to suit any food choices your diet may need. Area kept clean & inviting by breakfast staff

the suites are excellent! Each with its own character and awesome view. Always like to have a room with its own hot tub and these are excellent choices. The rooms are huge and easy to stretch out in. A great stay

From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with a big smile, behind the mask of course, and excellent service. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and included biscuits and gravy, juice, scrambled eggs, link sausage to name a few.

Coming in from a long drive - this hotel was a welcome reprise. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are comfortable. We had the riverview and it is beautiful. Front staff was welcoming and friendly. Ate at the Edge restaurant next door - good food and quick service. The only thing I found odd from both the hotel and the restaurant is not a face mask in sight. We have an entire country wearing them but i saw none in Orofino - maybe they don't have Covid here? Just wondering why. Anyway it was a great stay and i'd highly recommend. Very Clean.

We'd been camping in less than perfect conditions (smoke, rain) and decided to treat ourselves to a hotel stay. Saw the lodge from the highway and liked the balconies and patios associated with the rooms so decided to check it out. They allow pets and the value of the room cost was perfect. They provided a dog bed and bowl. The lobby and outside common patio are were great. Staff was great and got our room ready early.

We were riding up the Clearwater, then up the Lochsa so made a stop here. What a pleasant surprise. The hotel is clean, and the room was roomy and comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the river, with a small balcony. They have a motorcycle wash rack and we were definitely due. They provide wash and drying towels. Washed the bike and took a ride up to Dent Bridge which is a great road for a bike. The staff was very nice and were very good at their job. Our stay happened to be while a fire was acroos the road a couple of miles away and the smoke was very heavy outside but was not coming into the room or the hotel. They have a very nice patio with gas fireplace overlooking the river. Breakfast was one of the nicer ones we have experienced. Checked out and as we got outside, the staff had set two bottles of water at every bike. Our next stop won't be an accidient, but definitely planned to stop her. The restaurant next door was awesome as well.

Clean, friendly, relaxing environment. They have comfortable beds and great water pressure for a shower. We chose a river front room. Great in the morning but hot on a summer afternoon. It was perfect for celebrating our anniversary.

We had an evening getaway for our Anniversary. We stayed in a beautiful river view room. It was clean and the room amenities were high quality. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was warm fresh. Couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our Anniversary!!

Great hotel that is motorcycle friendly. The staff is excellent, and there is a motorcycle washing station as well as they provide clean cloths for cleaning your bike. The river view rooms are great!!

Was staying for a wedding. Everything was great but if your planning on drinking and enjoying a wedding and plan on sleeping in at all the next morning make sure you are not on a 1st floor room. We could hear everything going on above us and the people had kids who started running labs and banging on things at 745am.

Online it showed that we would have a private balcony overlooking the river... We paid EXTRA for this upgrade. Instead, we were on a ground level open walkway right next to the lobby. I could have sat in my robe on a private balcony to enjoy the views... not here though. We tried to sit out on our "open patio" as tons of other guests walked through, walked their dogs, passed through to get to the lobby. We couldn't leave the curtains open to enjoy those river views that we paid for because everyone could see into our room. I would not have paid extra for this. I feel like it should be LESS than a regular room since you have no privacy and tons of people able to look in your room. Sounds like elephants overhead. If a quiet couple pays to upgrade for a romantic getaway... maybe put them above the larger louder families with the private deck shown in the online pics that they are paying for. Would love to stay here again in a better room, but feeling cheated by not getting what was advertised and we paid extra for. Front desk staff were delightful. Room not as expected.

We had the pleasure of staying here two nights, and wish it had been longer. From the moment you enter the lobby, you feel relaxed and at home. When I made the reservation, I mentioned we were celebrating an anniversary. We had to change our plans at the last minute. Not only were they able to accommodate us in our room of choice, but they took the time to set up a gift and anniversary card in our room to welcome us as we arrived. The room was sparkling clean. Even the balcony and furniture appear to have been swept and cleaned. The rooms are well appointed, and the balcony view of the river so relaxing. The staff must enjoy their jobs because every staff member we encountered took the time to greet us as we came and went. Attention to detail can really enhance a hotel stay, and they had a few that were very appreciated. Lots of extra wall outlets, bright lights in the vanity area, big mirrors, two suitcase racks rather than just one, and even upgraded two-ply toilet paper. We arrived at the end of a long two week road trip. We always joke that we need a vacation at the end of our vacation. Our stay there felt like that vacation. Thank you Best Western at River's Edge for a wonderful stay!

Very nice BW property....we had a river view room balcony get kind of hot burning mid day sun but in the evening its great to watch the river go by and have a drink..No bar or resturant on site but there is a very good one right next door we only planned on staying 1 night but extended our stay for 2..we will be back!

This hotel sits along the Clearwater River, the views from the river front rooms are great. We left the window open and enjoyed the sound of the light rapids. The hotel staff was friendly and the service was great. The complementary breakfast was one of the best I've had. We only had one night but plan on making a return trip to spend a few days.

This place is a great place to stay, friendly staff...very clean. The breakfast was well stocked with many choices and always open to help with anything you need! There's laundry, swimming and beautiful views of the Clearwater River. It's worth the stop.

Their suites are awesome and worth the money. Everything was extremely clean and new looking. The rooms that look over the river have beautiful setting and are right on the river. There is a beautiful deck on first floor with fountain and umbrella tables. Just wish there were more options to eat in town. I will return here for sure. Staff couldn't be nicer.

Great: -When we made reservations the lady was very nice, helpful and listened carefully to what we needed. We were traveling with our two small dogs. We stayed two nights. -Great location. Right on the Clearwater river (we stayed in room #115). Our room was quiet and in the very end of the building. Beautiful view of the river! We were on the first floor with a door leading out to the patio overlooking the river. Very clean. I walked around the room in my white socks on the carpet and tile and my socks did not look gross. -Plenty of towels (they are a little rough so if you like soft towels bring your own). They also provide two luggage racks in the closet! You don't have to ask for a second one. -Dog bed, two bowls, treats and poop bags were in the room when we arrived. -Super fast WiFi! Also, if you have AT&T as your cell phone carrier there is no service in this area (Orofino). -Very friendly, helpful service at the front desk. -Breakfast was great. The lady in charge of the breakfast was working hard. We made sure to leave her a good tip. -Breakfast is yogurt, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels, yummy blueberry muffins, cereal, you can also make a breakfast burrito too. -Nice hotel gift shop with yummy huckleberry items to purchase! -Hotel is close to many restaurants. The Edge restaurant is just a few steps away from the hotel (it's in the parking lot). Great seafood (shrimp sandwich and salmon sandwich was amazing). Beautiful patio overlooking the river but it's not dog friendly so we picked up our food then brought it back to the hotel and ate it on the hotel beautiful patio. -Amazing huckleberry ice cream shakes at Augie's located in old downtown Orofino. Highly recommend! -Many nice areas to walk your dog near the hotel. The city park is next door and there is a nice greenbelt path from the hotel (cross the old railroad bridge) to find the path over to the park (kids splash water area and playground equipment). -Very comfortable bed, sheets and pillows. -We loved having a ceiling fan above the bed and a good fan in the bathroom! Air conditioner worked great! -Our room had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. -Overall we were very impressed with this hotel especially with it being in a small town. -If you're looking for things to do drive over to the dam, lakes and the canoe park (where Lewis and Clark built many wooden canoes). Also, there are a few fun shops downtown. -We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends!

I love this motel with it's incredible views of Orofino Creek and the Clearwater River. Super clean, lovely up to date decor and very pleasant, helpful staff. The pubic patio space on the river is extraordinary. I stayed in June 2020, mid CoVid pandemic. Even though Clearwater County has had zero cases, all the precautions I expected and appreciated were in place. Plexiglass shield over check in desk, sanitized pens, drop box for used keys and the staff were very careful with anything they handed you. This was not true at a BW+ I stayed at the 2 prior nights in Liberty Lake, WA. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautiful. The River View rooms have an extraordinary view and private balconies. I watched humans and Bald Eagles fishing just below me. However, the balconies can be quite hot in the direct evening sun. Bathrooms are lovely and well equipped. In the morning or after the sun goes behind the hills, the balcony is the perfect place to just sit, visit, have a drink or do yoga. I stayed in the Kelly Suite, which did seem a bit pricey - but it was the only room available with a river view. Regular rooms are priced well On this trip, it was worth it for me.

Just feet from a very deep swift river. My husband was so happy as he could walk out on the balcony and keep tabs on the river. Literally a few steps to a great place to fish. Step on the balcony and enjoy the sight and sound of the rushing water. The beds were pillow top comfort and were nicely decorated. A pretty property and friendly staff. We will stay again.

Great property right by the Clearwater river. Very nice rooms. Great price! So many things to do in and around orofino then to come back to a great room. Convenient and tasty restaurant right next to the hotel with other options within walking distance to choose from

If you are looking to get away from it all and have a relaxing time in a pristine setting, then the Lodge in Orofino, ID is the place to go!! Friendly and warm town with a slow pace,, cannot beat it!! Staff is outstanding and have become friends!!

I stay at the Orofino location almost every weekend for business. The location is breathtaking! The decore is Gorgeous! The staff is knowledgeable about saved points, and deals to save. I highly recommend all Best Western locations, but Orofino as well as Leavenworth Condo's!! If you haven't had the pleasure of staying with Best Western, I would recommend it! You won't be disappointed!

Location, location, location. Sitting outside having a glass of wine, watching the Clearwater River flowing by and a Bald Eagle flying over looking for dinner. Stayed here numerous times and will stay many more

Our visit at the Orofino Best Western was wonderful. The staff are excellent and the amenities are great. I do not have cell service in Orofino (T Mobile) but with the outstanding internet at the hotel my service on my phone was not interrupted.

We're staying at the Lodge At River's Edge again and I'm so glad we are! We have been cooped up for a damn month in our house because of COVID and decided to get away for the night and came to Orofino. This hotel is still one of my favorites. They have the greatest staff, I swear! They are some of the most friendly and accommodating people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Sitting out on the patio overlooking the river and drinking beer around the fire pit with my family has been great! I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and the Lodge At River's Edge just does an amazing job of making it personal. I really don't know how they do it, but they do. Thank you for giving me 2 great memories of my life. I'll be seeing you again soon!

excellent venue, right on the river, very nice hotel. nearby restaurant is very good. hotel staff were all friendly and complementary breakfast was good with a nice variety. Beer and wine can be purchased on site.

This hotel and its staff go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and perfect. The hotel sits on the Clearwater River and is an idyllic spot to just go and spend a night. The restaurant next door is good and so is the Mexican restaurant in town. But most of all, if your ride a MOTORCYCLE, don't miss this place. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and they have a wash area with bucket, soap and microfiber towels to clean up your steed. And if you FISH, they also a fish cleaning room. The pool is heated and indoors which is uncommon these days. And the scenery is spectacular. A must stay at BW!

Stayed at the lodge while on a social trip to Kamiak. Room was comfortable, quiet and the patio directly faced the Clearwater river. Room was very clean, comfortable and had all necessities for the night we stayed. Parking was a challenge when we arrived due to a large event happening in the event center but quickly cleared out after the event ended. There is an attached dining/bar area next door. We optioned for something else to eat in town but did stop in for a quick drink and to catch up on the football game. The morning breakfast was plentiful, hot and excellent.

Orofino's Best Western is beautifully located at the bank of Clearwater river. We stayed there on the family trip with our dog. As many hotels are pet tolerating, this one is trully pet friendly including bed, bowl and treats for our dog in the room. Very clean facility, room and towels. Within last week we stayed in two other Best Westen hotels this one is above and beyond.

This property is so beautiful as it is on the clear water river. excellent property for fishing hunting anything out doors. This is the ideal property. Open comfortable. The lobby is like a huge living room. Very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and has coffee all day long. Cookies after 5pm are always nice.

Very clean - comfortable bed - welcoming staff. The balcony overlooking the the Clearwater River was a great place to relax! I am looking forward to go back and get the suite with the bigger balcony and fireplace.

This is our preference of motels in this area. The staff is always welcoming and very helpful when questions arise. It's obvious that the staff like their job.The motel is pet-friendly which is a plus for us. The motel setting is great fot nature lovers, on the banks of a river and great scenery.

Cooped up for weeks due to cancer treatment, I decided my husband needed a nearby getaway. We'd driven by this hotel many times and heard was nice. That's a huge understatement! After explaining my husband's compromised immunity ti the reservation clerk, I was assured they'd be extra thorough cleaning the room. I asked about the free breakfast buffet (which my husband can't eat from) and she said they'd be happy to cook fresh just for him. Wow! We arrived to a very nicely furnished room that looked brand-new clean and fresh and the river view from our private deck was beautiful. This morning when I asked for a muffin that hadn't been put out to the public yet, the breakfast lady said, "oh I had a note about you!" and proceeded to offer all sorts of special items. As we left the hotel she even offered treats for our road trip home! We will definitely go back!

It was very clean and the staff was wonderful. Had a room on the river side with great views of the river. If passing through on old highway 12 a nice stopping off pont. The breakfast was the typical free breakfast, but area clean and we'll stocked

Location was great, beautiful room on the river, great breakfast, resturants closeby and smiling staff, loved listening to the river and pet friendly, I highly recommend if your are ever in the area. Comfy bed!

This hotel is lovely. Staff are all great, full breakfast offered every day. Rooms are immaculate. A very pleasant place to be. There is a lovely deck and an outdoor fire at night. Lobby has a gas fireplace too. Good parking; very safe.

The staff was very friendly, the facility was very clean, kept up and well decorated. We had a river view room and it was so nice to sit outside of our room on their clean deck and watch/listen to the river. We would highly recommend this hotel and we are kind of picky after traveling for a living.

I had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Best Western Orofino. Beautiful hotel, clean, and staff that were well trained and pleasant. The hotel and location is beautiful. It had a comfortable bed, and nice pillows. It was quiet, and I had a very nice experience. The breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of variety. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Orofino for business or pleasure.

I stayed at this hotel this last weekend. I have stayed there before. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure your needs are met and always smiling. The breakfast is very good, with some healthy choices, fruit cheese meat etc. It is always kept stocked. The hotel is very clean and the cleaning staff are very helpful as well. It is in a beautiful spot by the river with a lovely patio overlooking the pristine Clearwater River. Nothing like the sound of a river outside to relax someone.

Exceptional front desk service. Hotel patio and firepits were very inviting and played a big part in our selecting this hotel. Lobby, eating areas, and rooms were up-to-date with high-end bedding. There was ample, secure parking and rooms offered balcony or small patios with river views.

From the time I checked in, from the time I drove away16 hours later, I was blown away by this exceptional property and its employees' attention to service. The owners obviously spent a lot of money to make this a showcase property. This beautiful hotel is located along the river with a large outdoor patio, high-quality wrought iron outdoor seating (not a resin chair in sight), and professional, well-maintained landscaping. The large lobby is nicely done in wood and stone that lends itself well to its mountain location and its recreationally-oriented customers. Rooms were also very nicely appointed with custom furniture, widescreen TV, high-quality carpet and bedding, upscale bathrooms. Staff is first-rate. They were very welcoming, politely answered all our questions, and offered up bottled water and treats upon check-in. And then they told me that the hotel hosts a free happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00 (beer, wine, snacks). Nice! Breakfast buffet is a notch above most chain hotels. It's nice to have some hot food offerings such as breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles. My group was traveling on motorcycles and as we walked out to depart in the morning, the staff had neatly placed two bottle of water next to each bike. How nice is that?

Our room had a balcony overlooking the river which was so nice to sit on in the warm evening. Our room was very comfortable. They had a customer appreciation at 5 pm with free beer or wine and snacks for 1 hr. There was a hose at the end of the hotel where we could wash the bugs off our bike. Also, in the morning, there were 2 bottles of water in front of every motorbike, complementary from the hotel...nice touch. Hot breakfast with eggs, sausage and all the usual breakfast items. We would definitely stay here again. Nice place to stop after the Missoula/Lolo ride.

The hotel was much nicer than expected and the staff was very friendly. The parking lot was in very good condition, the inside of the room and lobby were outstanding. The setting of this hotel on the river is just stunning. Highly recommended.

Love this Hotel. I have stayed here a number of times on my way through the area every year while riding to Sturgis. I have always make it one of my overnight stops. The staff is excellent and the setting is unbeatable.

I stay in a lot of hotels i travel for work. So believe me when i say this hotel is pretty awesome. Waking up to the sound of the river and sitting out on the porch in the morning over looking the river was so amazing. The beds were so comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean smelt good. Room decor was on point.

We were at the hotel for a class reunion over the weekend. The room was great but the highlight was the breakfast. The best hotel included breakfast we have ever had. Waffles, biscuits & gravy, breakfast burritos and more.

We visited this Best Western the summer they opened....I believe it was 2005. At that time it was the nicest Best Western we'd ever been in. I am happy to say, that is still true today. This property is so well maintained and sparkling clean that is seems as tho it is brand new. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast is nicely presented, good choices, and plentiful. Sitting on the patio in the evening and watching the river is a great way to relax. Our riverside room had a small window that we opened at night to listen to the river while falling asleep. The days were hot but the nights got cool enough to leave the air conditiong OFF. This is a great place to truly relax.

This is a beautiful, pet friendly property with all the amenities you would expect for the price. Staff understands hospitality. Danielle took good care of us and got us checked in early. Rooms are excellent and river view is worth it! Sadly we were there on a Sunday night and the adjacent restaurant and bar were closed. We were looking forward to dinner and wine overlooking the Clearwater River on the beautiful patio.

Two of us on a motorcycle adventure on our way home to Oregon. We had planned to camp but were at the place where we both were hot, needed showers, and wanted a good meal. Place has a wonderful staff and is kind of classy looking - and many amenities. We had a great dinner at Fiesta En Jalisco about two blocks away. When we came out the next morning the staff had put bottled water by all the bikes in the parking lot. They also have a place to wash your vehicle for free. Two big thumbs up for Best Western Lodge At River's Edge in Orofino!

You will NEVER find a better place to stay. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel is clean as well the surrounding area. PLUS you're next to the river and the sounds put you to a peacefully to sleep. Kudos to the manager, she does a great job coordinating and managing the establishment. I'll be back. Jim R.

We booked this hotel and the ballroom venue for our wedding. They were super amazing to work with and worked very hard to give us everything we requested. They set up all the chairs and tables and did exactly as I had wanted. They were wonderful! The guests all loved the rooms and breakfast. It was amazing!

Beautiful location on the river. Spent a little extra to have a room with a river view, Very clean rooms and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast really is exceptional. We always enjoy our stay when traveling through this area.

This BW has become our favorite getaway on the bike. Great staff. Great accommodations. Great food nearby within walking distance. A bike washing station complete with bucket, car wash and hose plus microfiber towels to wash with at the registration desk. Happy hour Monday thru Thursday with beer, wine and snacks. Plus bottles of water under your bike in the morning for your day's ride. Lolo Pass is right across the river for your enjoyment.

This was our second stay at this facility and we timed it to coincide with 4 July and the fireworks. We were not disappointed with this display. It was short but the valley caused reverberation and echoing that enhanced the whole performance. Well worth it. The facility is very efficiently operated and the staff is exceptional. I mention two people specifically....Elizabeth and Stacey on the reception desk. The adjacent restaurant was closed for the 4th and a local pizzeria didn't deliver due to the holiday. I am diabetic and required sustenance. These two ladies went out of their way to go out and get me a sandwich. Above and beyond and I'm very appreciative of their efforts. The hot breakfast was good quality and offered many different choices. We have already booked our return visit for this time next year

Excellent facilities; excellent service. Particular attention paid to motorcycle riders! All motorcycle riders get two bottles of water per day. There is a cleaning station for the bikes, which makes it handy for cleaning windshields and fairings...

When we first arrived at the hotel the front desk service was exceptional and very friendly. The hotel was very clean and the interior design was very warm and inviting. The exterior was nicely landscaped with a pond out back full of Coy, balcony overlooking the river and nicely shaded seating areas. We stayed in one of the Suites and I would say it was 4-5 star quality, with a hot tub, fireplace, living room, deep tub, kitchen area, sky lights, and a balcony overlooking the river. It was very quiet and relaxing and the bed was extremely comfortable.

This was a very pleasant place to stay. Everyone one at the front desk was very nice and helpful with any questions. The housekeeping staff was also very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.

I traveled to Orofino with a small group of motorcycle riders and enjoyed the two ladies who assisted us with checking in. These two had personality plus and were helpful with dining advice. They even made reservations for us. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly maintained. As we were preparing to leave the next morning, we discovered the hotel had supplied each motorcycle with two bottles of water. What a nice touch. This property excels with details.

Impressed with Best Western Plus in Orfino, Idaho. We have a Memorial Service to go to in Butte, so took scenic route through Orfino. This place is gorgeous, right on the river, one would think they were at a spendy resort. The staff was extremely kind and caring, rooms spotless. We will be coming more often.

Whenever we travel from Boise, Idaho to Darby, Montana, we go way out of our way—through Orofino, Idaho—because we LOVE to stay at the Best Western Lodge at River's Edge. It's clean, spacious, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And it's pet-friendly. Our room (#115) comes with dog biscuits, a water/food dish, and a plump dog bed. The river view from room #115 is gorgeous and the room has its own patio. There are many restaurants in town to choose from, but we always enjoy walking next door to enjoy the food at Dining on The Edge and Upstream Bar.

Maybe the nicest BW I have stayed at. Riverfront room with balcony. Large room comfortable bed quite all you can hear was the Clearwater River flowing by. Check in was easy and friendly. They also have a happy hour for the guest.

Great destination to visit on motorcycles. The hotel provides a great group experience with the large outside patio with views of the Clearwater River. The riverside rooms have decks to also take in the views. It's just relaxing & the hotel staff is so accommodating. They have a bike washing station & leave you bottles of water to wash the windshields off.

This is an mazing hotel! Clearly the best Best Western I've ever stayed at. They have a social hour ever day with food & drinks, a beautiful outdoor patio with fire pits and a gorgeous view of the river, nice rooms, good breakfast, a delightful staff, AND a motorcycle cleaning station AND a fish cleaning station. Something for everyone. I talked to a couple from Canada who said they've come here ever for the last 10 years.

A lovely hotel with all the amenities and rooms right on the river, with a little balcony overlooking it. Luxurious room with desk and lounge chair, comfortable bed, good free breakfast, pool and ex room. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, great restaurant right across parking lot.

This is by far the most beautiful Best Western Hotel I have ever stayed at.this was at least the 3rd time at this hotel. The inside and outside of the facility has many sculptures and other paintings that are truly outstanding. The pool and hot tub area looked brand new.

We attended a family wedding here. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the river. From our deck you could literally drop something into the water. So beautiful. They had a very nice free breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, and more. Lovely reception area and big patio plus party room. Our room was very comfortable and had all of the expected amenities: micro, desk, comfortable bed, and a safe plus my favorite part - chairs on the deck with a river view!

This appears to be the best hotel in the Orofino area and for miles around there. It's located right on the Clearwater River, at the junction of a fast flowing creek. We stayed for one weekend night in a riverfront king room. The river is right below you in these rooms. They are fairly pricey, but it's definitely worth the extra cost. The room was spacious and well furnished, perhaps a notch below the typical Hampton or Hilton Garden room, but comfortable. The bathroom was the standard motel variety with a shower tub and typical amenities. The hotel is across the river from the main highway, so there was no road noise. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The free buffet restaurant was good. There is a small indoor pool. Orofino doesn't have many decent restaurants,but there is one right next door to the hotel, and also a good Mexican place right in downtown (we ate there, and it was very good). The only issue we had was that the elevator was broken when we checked in. Since we were going to use the hotel's laundry facilities, we had to carry in all of our luggage, and lug it up to the top floor. But the elevator was fixed later on, and this wasn't a big issue for us. Overall, a good stay, and the riverfront location is a big plus.

This property is well maintained, very clean and comfortable. I loved the location, right on the river, and surrounded by trees. The hotel has a large deck that offers great views and is a wonderful way to unwind and relax. The rooms are spacious and very clean with updated amenities. I found the staff to be very helpful, answering questions, making suggestions and always smiling. A very nice breakfast is served each morning with a variety of choices and great coffee!

We have been here a few times since my last review however I need to up this to a full 5 STAR! We stayed here 05/11. We were traveling on business from Spokane. We had our first client at 9:00 in Grangeville so needless to say, we have to get up very very early to make it to Grangeville on time. Anyway, we finished up with our clients early and we were exhausted. We thought we would just stop by the hotel (with fingers crossed) to see if there was anyway we could check in early. And they accommodated us! Most hotels we have been to are very strick on check in time so this was a big plus! We also had a river view room with a balcony. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so needless to say, we have a beautiful view! Room was very clean (thank you Lisa!) and of course the breakfast and coffee were exceptional as well as the ladies who host the breakfast! We just love coming here. The first time we stayed, we were a little disappointed but we have been back a few times after that and it has just been the best!!

Spotlessly clean and comfortable and excellent dining within walking distance. Great personable staff and beautiful location. So TripAdvisor says I have to have a minimum of 200 characters- don't know what else I need to say. Great place to stay and will stay there again!

We stay here as often as possible, the views are beautiful and the staff and friendly and professional. Our daughter loves the pool and breakfast, and we love the comfort and view of the river. Will return again!

This is an amazing place to stay! The accomodations are great and the employees are, too! The gift shop is small but a fun place to browse. Breakfast is good and it is fun to chat with other guests while looking out on that beautiful river!

This location checks all the boxes. Great views, easy access, modern rooms, excellent staff. Close to great food as well and the place is spotless everywhere you look. I will drive out of my way when traveling near this area to stay here.

This hotel blew my mind! Beautiful hotel and great location. We had a River View room - balcony was nice! We only stayed one night, but we will be back for sure! Even on a rainy day, it was a beautiful place to stay!

BEST Best Western hotel you'll ever stay at. They have something for everyone. Mountain or riverside rooms with plenty of room and comfortable accommodations. Happy hours in the lobby. A conference room if you're planning a wedding or event. A fish cleaning room for those who fish the Clearwater River. A bike washing station with bucket, soap and hose for us motorcyclists - plus two bottles of water under your bike when you leave in the morning. This hotel is on the very scenic and beautiful Lolo Pass connecting Missoula, MT and Lewiston, ID. There is nothing NOT to love about this particular hotel.

Overall a very pleasant staff. Room was nice with a great view. The breakfast was better than most places I've stayed. The local knowledge of the staff was spot on. When I go back to Orofino I'll be staying there again.

My stay at the Best Western Lodge at River's Edge was a great experience from beginning to end. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was great!! Would definately recommend to anyone that they also try this out.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 31st Anniversary. It is definitely a great place to stay. The room and view was beautiful. We definitely recommend it. We have been to a few weddings there and they were beautiful.

We stayed as a team and were treated like Kings and Queens Staff went out of there way to make us all comfortable. Mad sure the team was located in a block together and were a in a quiet location. No issues

Can't believe that this property is not a Best Western "PLUS". Beautiful property on the Clearwater River in a remote Idaho valley off Route 12. Town itself has plenty of small businesses and no fast food which is nice once in a while. The Lodge has a very helpful staff.....spotless rooms....a great indoor pool....and a breakfast room with a great view.

This property is clean and fresh looking. The location is wonderful . Nice restuarant on property. It should be the model for Best Western Plus. There was a dog bed and treats and a water/food bowl in the room. Lobby decor is worth noticing. We used our binoculars from the patio to see osprey.

This hotel was very nice! I wasn't sure what I'd find in a smaller town like Orofino, but it had great, clean rooms and the front desk staff was very accommodating. Breakfast downstairs was good for a hotel of this type:)

I wander around the West on a Harley-Davidson and one of my favorite rides is highway 12 over Lolo pass from Lolo to Orofino. It always ends at this BW. The staff is unmatched, the rooms are superb and the location on the Clearwater river is rewarding. (Hint: book a river view room on the upper floors). This house books full early for a good reason so reservations should be made well in advance. This is one of my top 2 choices for BW in the West. It is the top standard by which I rate other hotels. Enjoy......

We stayed at this hotel on the first night of a 1-week motorcycle tour through Idaho, Montana and Alberta. It was a hot 95-degree day of riding and after stopping to fill-up in preparation for an early start the next morning, we headed down the street to the hotel and were greeted by an oasis. The location on the river is idyllic, the staff super-friendly, the rooms spacious and clean with great working AC units, and the bonus is they are SO MOTORCYCLE FRIENDLY!!! A wash area is clearly marked and they even left a pair of bottles of water next to each motorcycle the next morning. Oh and their morning breakfast was very delicious set in the open area facing the patio and the river beyond. This place is a gem not to be missed along the way and is the perfect gateway to US-12 and Lolo Pass which we rode the next morning.

This hotel is very pleasant, the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the scenery was beautiful! My daughter's used the pool, and it was very clean. We were running a little late getting down to breakfast, but they had plenty of food available for us to choose from, and it was hot and fresh.

We felt so blessed to get a room at all, but this Inn is one of the very best in many ways. Can't recommend too highly. Stacey at the front desk checked us in and was so helpful at recommending a place for the evening meal. Yeah Stacey. We loved all the sculpture in the lobby, deck and pool areas: western art that celebrates the wildlife of this beautiful area. The deck provides a closeup view of the Clearwater River, where in October 1805, Lewis and Clark recuperated from their grueling journey over the Lolo Pass of the Bitterroot Mtns to the east. The indoor pool was clean and lovely, better for families than swimming laps, although I made to. The ceiling is pine with 4 large skylights. Tres classy. The room was clean, lovely, and quiet. I'm attaching a picture of the bedspread.

This is my second stay at this Lodge and we deliberately included it in our motorcycle route. I wasn't disappointed. It is still just as good as it was a few years ago. The staff and facilities are outstanding, the breakfast was excellent and the dining room next door was superb.

Very pleased with the accommodations. Beautiful view from the patio. Everything very clean, from the lobby to the rooms to the patio area. It was a busy weekend but you would not have know....room was extremely quiet.

Located on the Clearwater River this property takes full advantage to provide wonderful view from your room and from its terrace. The terrace also serves as an out door lounge and breakfast ‘room”. The staff is terrific and totally accommodating. They also have a pre dinner social hour for the guest s with wine, other beverages and snacks served. There is also an excellent restaurant (The Edge) immediately next door.

best stay of our 15 day trip on our motorcycle,hope we can get back there again.if you have the stay we had you cant go wrong.the staff went out of there way to make our stay great. even had a surprise of water waiting by our bikes when we left in the morning.

First place that had a wash area for your motorcycle and in the morning each cycle had two bottles of fresh water waiting for them. The breakfast was awesome. Beautiful facilities on the river in the middle of nowhere. Very motorcycle friendly. Provided microfiber cleaning cloths and allowed parking up front. They even left 2 complimentary bottles of water at each bike as we were leaving. This place is a 10/10.

We've stayed at this hotel several times and it never disappoints. Hotel is always spotless, and they have the most comfortable beds. Get a room on the river side, if available. Breakfast is included and it's pretty good too!

I loved this Best Western probably one of the best I've ever stayed at! Allowed us to park motorcycles under cover...had bike towels and 2 water bottles beside bikes in the morning...that's going beyond great service...thank you! Staff very nice and helpful...rooms clean and comfortable...pool & hot tub were nice....breakfast was ok...over all great value. The patio was beautiful...nice sculptures...lots of seating along the river. Restaurant next door had awesome food...patio seating along the river.

We were on the road longer than we had planned and really needed to get off the road. We find the best western brand to be very reliable and this location was no exception. The facility and rooms were spotless, the staff was terrific, and the location was great. There are a couple of alternatives in town which we took a quick peek at and rejected them on site. Best Western is by far the best choice in Orofino

We stayed here at the end of a 3 week road trip and couldn't have been happier! The hotel is in a beautiful location right on the river . The decor is wonderful! Our guest room was large and comfortable with a balcony right on the river which we enjoyed relaxing on. Hotel staff we're friendly, helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed all the amenities and used the indoor pool and hot tub, both were great after a long drive. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant next door which had tables outside on the river, food and service was excellent! We loved everything about our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer! We hope to return!

We stayed in a room on the top floor with a river view and a deck. It was fantastic. Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and we had plenty of room. The staff suggested a place to eat (the Mexican place) which was good too. Definitely would stay here again.

We have stayed in many hotels over the years ,spent up to $500 per night and have never experienced anything like this hotel,everything about this hotel is perfect in every way,other hotel owners should come to this hotel to learn how to run theirs,they absolutely think of everything that makes your stay incredible,The nicest staff,the cleanest rooms,the softest towels,super comfy beds,the ambiance,the sparkling pool and hot tub i could go on and on ,do yourself a favor and experience this hotel for yourself

We had a very pleasant stay. The river view room was everything we thought it would be. We will be staying here again for sure. The breakfast was really good, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I haven't been to a Best Western in several years. If this is how most of them operate, then I need to stop in more often! Such a nice facility right by the water. A great restaurant next door makes it a great package deal. Ample parking with beautiful scenery all around. The room is spacious and clean. Everything works as designed. Staff were courteous and professional. Job well done.

The hotel staff was extremely helpful, courteous, professional, and flexible. Our players haven't stopped talking about the breakfast and how nice the rooms were. Our parents and coaches loved the location. It was close to the baseball field, it sat right off the river, and the views were spectacular.

This is an excellent hotel, well-designed, pleasant decor, and very well-maintained. The river side rooms have balconies with 2 chairs and a small table which directly overlook the Clearwater River. The staff is welcoming and friendly. One of the highlights of a trip to the Clearwater River valley.

We stayed overnight Sunday April 29-Monday April 30, 2018. Hotel was very quiet, almost empty, as the season really doesn't start in this area until Memorial Day Weekend. Wonderful hotel, great staff, lovely breakfast!! We paid a few dollars more for a riverview room, and it was worth it. The surging Clearwater River was at the limits of its banks, but we were able to comfortably sit on our patio overlooking it for a couple of hours before the clouds obscured the sun and it got too chilly. We really like the hotel and the town!

Everything and every aspect about this place is a 10! I couldn't of asked for more. I have stayed there before and I have made my reservations already for my next trip. The river view is definitely worth a few dollars more.

Fabulous views of the Clearwater River in a darling town. If you are taking a great drive along the Clearwater and Locksa Rivers, please stop at the Lodge at River's Edge. Also kindly this great room is pet friendly, with a cliding glass door out to the lovely private patio to watch the river running feet from your door.

We were on a tour of Idaho and had been driving a long time when we got to Orofino. We drove through town and didn't find anything that looked appealing so we were going to head to the next town when we noticed this best western right on the river and decided to go back. We're so glad we did! We got a room on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the river. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching the biggest bald eagle we've ever seen, simply spectacular. We were directed to the Mexican restaurant for a good meal and returned to our comfortable room to relax before turning in to the most comfortable bed of our trip. Breakfast was satisfactory. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here a couple weekends ago on a business trip. The rooms are very dark (even with all the lights on) and I didn't see a hat that fell on the floor with my bluetooth headset in it. They shipped it to me 'express' (their only option) at a cost of 25.00 for 8 ounces of merchandise. Oh, they didn't notify me, I had to call them. I'm a club member and they treat me like this? Oh, their workout equipment is cut rate stuff and their very expensive restaurant is overpriced but the customer service is very good.

I stay here a few nights every month while doing bussines in the area . I have been a Diamond member with Bestwestern since the program rolled out and it is by far: The nicest CLEANEST hotel i have stayed at in many many years The view of the river is something that's a must to see . There riverview rooms are truly right on the river There is a great restaurant that shares the parking lot . Very good food , and a great bar If your looking to have a special weekend with someone , THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY !!!

If you're planning a trip down Idaho Highway 12, you might want to stay at this beautiful lodge and get a Riverview Room. Outstanding staff is there to make your stay very enjoyable. I was there for about 6 weeks and enjoyed the balcony view overseeing the river and hill side. No traffic noise to disturb your rest. The gift shop has great high quality items for you or your loved ones.

Room was always clean and spotless and adjoining restaurant/bar was great! By far the best eats in Orofino which is important after a long day of activity in the area. Staff was always sweet and helpful. Breakfast availability at 6AM was a definite bonus. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Stayed for a full week

This is by far my most favorite hotel to stay in! The river view rooms are fantastic, and the staff is always so friendly and courteous. The pool is well kept and hot tub is hot (like it should be). I love making sales calls to Orofino!

The staff at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was large, clean, and had a gorgeous view of the river. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable — we had a great night's sleep!

Loved this hotel. Stayed a couple nights there and it was great. Good breakfast, great staff, great rooms. Short walk from downtown. Walked the walkway by the river and enjoyed the restaurant that shares the parking lot.

We checked in for a nice romantic weekend getaway at the beginning of February. Sort of a birthday gift for me from my wife. We stayed in the Selway Suite (which you can't book online. Have to call). The Lodge is right on the river, where it's met by a nice running creek. The suite was outstanding, with beautiful views and a Hot Tub in the room. A see-thru fireplace also makes the suite very cozy. AND, even in cold weather, you can sit outside on the deck and be kept very warm by that same fireplace. The room is just spectacular. We only left to eat at nearby restaurants. The hotel staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, from the front desk and breakfast staff (great spread!), to housekeeping staff. While we stayed in a suite, a river front room would do just as nice for anyone who wants to listen to the river while they fall off to sleep. We can't wait to go back in mid-spring.

We stay at this hotel once or twice a year when we travel over from the coast. We have always enjoyed our stay and encounter a very friendly, helpful staff. Clearwater rooms and comfortable beds, great hot tub, especially after being outside fishing all day.

The Orofino Best Western is a gem. Off the beaten path for sure, on Route 12 from Lewiston Idaho, but right on the river. The lodge-look of the property is charming and the staff are exceptional. (If you're a fisherperson, you'd appreciate the separate fish-cleaning room.) Nice pool, nice comfy lodge-seating area inside and another outside. Good restaurant on the same property.

We stayed to do a group trip for bowling on New Year's Eve weekend. We enjoyed the upgrade done to the room we stayed with the new bathroom shower and fixtures. Also they had a lighter comforter on bed that made the night rest a lot better.

A hotel I would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and beautiful getaway. Most rooms are right on the river and hotel boasts a hot free breakfast and indoor pool and spa. Staff is extra-friendly going out of their way to make your stay a good one.

It always is an excellent experience at this hotel. First class in rooms and treatment, this hotel is an hour from our home, but the hotel is great and there is a wonderful restaurant on the same property. .

Well we had to go over on business from Spokane and we had a snow storm. After 5 hours we finally made it to the hotel. Gorgeous! And with the snow coming down, it was picture perfect. However, the TV really had a "bad" picture and ever though we turned up the heat, we just couldn't get the room warm. There was only a sheet and bedspread on the bed with no blanket or extra blankets in the closet. The bed was very comfortable and even though there were teenagers staying there for a local tournament, it was very quiet. However, I must say, I am really impressed by the lady that handles the breakfast in the morning. She knew there was 24 teenage boys staying the night before and she made sure there was plenty of food for these young men including all the other quests as well. She also helped me out when I was having issues with the waffle machine...LOL...This lady has such a heart of gold and I really hope she is treated as a valued employee!!!

Great hotel, friendly staff, close to downtown and all the river access points. My friends and I were on a fishing trip and found the indoor fish cleaning station a big plus on the cold December nights.

Great location. Directly on the Clearwater River. River view rooms are an upcharge, but they offer some wonderful scenery. Highly recommend, however be prepared for rude fishermen staying at the hotel. If they are towing boats, they often will take up multiple parking spaces leaving no room for other guests. Also, this is a major attraction for conferences, so it can be very noisy and busy.

Had a business trip to Orofino. My wife and I ended up going together. Stayed at the Best Western At River's Edge. Great stay with a very friendly staff. We ended up switching our room to the Selway suite at the last moment because my wife love's fireplaces. It included a Hot Tub as well. We have stayed in a lot of nice hotels in lots of different places. With the view, the beautiful room, and the staff, we personally thought it doesn't get much better.

This Is a very beautiful place to stay o the Clear Water River in Orofino Idaho. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with balconies on the river side of the locations of the hotel This is a small town with a warm and friendly people. I will be staying at this Hotel when I am in the area.

Orofino is an easy day trip, decided to stay on a whim, I have visited before and knew the quality. Very clean, premium mattress (foam), view room...Full breakfast was better than most. Should have packed my fishing-pole.

I don't care how nice a place is: clean, nice amenities, etc., if you can't get a good night's sleep! Everything about this place is great, EXCEPT the beds! Nice breakfast bar, wi-fi okay, good staff. Too bad they missed out on the most basic: a good bed. As a side sleeper, there was no comfortable position.

The lodge is very pleasant, people are friendly, and it is convenient to town. Get a river view, it is worth the extra 10 bucks. Lot's to see and do there including fishing and exploring the Lewis and Clark trail.

We were back in Orofino, and based on our good stay last time returned to this hotel for a three night visit. We were not disappointed. We stayed again in a river view room; the view was great, even though it was too cold to spend time on the balcony. The room seemed to have been refreshed in some way in the intervening year, although I could not put my finger on what it might have been. Checking in and out was welcoming and efficient. We were worried that our second floor room - across from the elevator and ice, and near the open wall to the floor below - would be noisy, but it never bothered us. The room was clean enough, but service during our stay was a little spotty. I wish they would rearrange things so that there were better light for reading in the chair. Breakfast was all right, but nothing special; unlike some hotels, it apparently does not change, so you get the same thing every day of a multi day stay. We will be back the same time next year.

One of my favorite places to stay. The setting is gorgeous and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Orofino is an unexpected delight. Location of the hotel is along the river so it is tranquil. It is an easy walk to multiple restaurants in town with equally friendly staff and good food.

The Best Western Lodge at River"s Edge in Orofino, Idaho is a beautiful and comfortable hotel blessed with a competent and caring staff. It has a splendid view of the Clearwater River. We enjoyed our short stay there.

I stay at this hotel every time I am in the area. Staff is always very nice and the beds are very comfortable! Very clean and nice hotel. Breakfast has everything you would want as well. I stay here for both business and with my family.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very helpful. The hotel is on the river and I believe the room rates are too high due to the lack of other suitable hotels in the area. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We were there celebrating a friends birthday and I didn't have a chance to get him a card. No worries, the hotel had cards for all occasions.

I live in the same town as this Hotel but often use it when friends come from out of town. The Suites are wonderful and it is nice to have both a private hot tub in the third floor room, overlooking the river, as well as a pool and hot tub at the ground level for a larger group. The setting, nestled at the foot of the mountains on the bank of the river, is breathtaking. The décor is upscale yet very casual and comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional. Whether entertaining out of town guests, having an overnight birthday/pool party for my granddaughter and her friends, or enjoying our stay received as a 25th anniversary gift from our children, we have never been disappointed. Orofino is fortunate to have a lodging of this caliber in our community. And don't forget to treat yourself to a quality dining experience by visiting "Dining on the Edge" next door to the Hotel. Eat, sleep, and be Merry!

We have been staying at this particular inn for years. We always take a river view room and have been pleased with the accommodations. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is far better than most motel fare. Highly recommend.

This property exceeds our expectations every time we stay here. It is great to know that there's a sure thing whenever we come to Orofino. Highly recommend the river view as it's spectacular. We look forward to our next visit.

We've been to this hotel twice and have found it to be exceptional. Staff is great, rooms are great and there is a restaurant 200 feet away. We have stayed in the river view rooms both times (make sure you reserve these ahead of time because they are popular). They have a wonderful private balcony where one can sit and have an evening cocktail while watching the river and the birds. Rooms are quiet. we were there during a wedding and reception and never heard a noise all night. Also, excellent value for money.

I just wanted to see what was going on in Orofino, lol. not much!! it was fun just exploring the area, and this Best Western Lodge was Beautiful. I have heard about this area as being Beautiful, but to be honest it was hard to see that because the Smoke was pretty bad from all the Fires in the area and coming in from Montana too, so I can't say it was Beautiful, it was also very dry. No shopping at all, aren't any cute store's to browse, it does have one nice Mexican Restaurant, I think I saw a small Grocery store, wow, this Town needs help. sorry, but true.

It is always a great pleasure to come here. we always look forward to it. Staying by the river and being able to just sit and enjoy the beautiful things God has given us in total comfort, it just dosen't get any better. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay such a treat.

Very beautiful place, our room faced the river. Very nice balcony. We have stayed here twice, the staff is excellent. This was an motorcycle trip, nice bike wash at the Hotel and they have bottled water by your bike for your trip.

My family and I love the experience of staying at your hotel. There were 10 of us this year since not all of us were able to visit this year. My children, a few grand children and a great grandchild was able to make the trip with us this year. I was raised in Orofino and my father was killed in a logging accident when I was 13 years old. We visit his gravesite when we are there for the Lumberjack days.

This motel sits on the rivers edge and has beautiful design to fit the surrounding area. Its customer friendly and clean and accommodating. I always enjoy my stay here.The staff is friendly, the breakfast is inviting, the rooms are clean and relaxing. Sit out on the large patio and catch some sun or on a cool fall night sit around the fire pit tables. Nice lobby area has great seating for visiting any time . This motel will not disappoint. You will satisfy all your accommodations needs here.

Our stay in Orofino, Idaho was a delight because of the Best Western here. The hotel has an amazing outdoor patio right along the Clearwater River. Decorated with plants and blooming flowers the tables and chairs gave us a relaxing place to visit with friends and share a glass of wine (that we purchased in the hotel.) The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning that offered a huge variety of cold or hot foods including a breakfast burrito bar and a waffle station. The fresh fruits and berries were a treat also. The front desk staff was kind, caring, and helpful. They offered us suggestions about where to dine and gave us directions around town. We will be staying here again during our next visit to the area!

Best motel of our 2 week trip. Beautiful grounds, good hot tub & good variety for breakfast. Room had real glasses & coffee cups so that was a plus. A separate sink made getting ready in the morning much nicer. Quiet motel right on the river. Upgraded to a river view room which had a small patio, well worth it.

Love the king size beds with river view. The Mexican restaurant is great. The rivers edge restaurant next to hotel was convenientt and yummy ... a visit to dworshak reservoir is a must! The breakfast is such s plus so all can sleep in without worrying about bresstfadt!

Excellent conditions, staff, and amenities! If you happen to get a room on the river side, it's a nice relaxing view. The Social Hour was a great surprise "extra" provided by the hotel. Clean and tidy facilities all around! I will choose it again on my next travel route to Orofino!

A most enjoyable, comfortable, and pleasant place to stay, and one I will definitely return to. One could not ask for a more serine setting on the banks of the Clearwater River. With the relaxing sound of the river to "rock" you to sleep every night, the "hustle and bustle of everyday life are soon forgotten.

we did not have a balcony with a river view but we were still very pleased with this hotel. the staff is very friendly and helpful. we would like to send a special thank you to marinda & steph-they really went out of their way for us. the room was very clean and comfortable. the breakfast had some variety including eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and yogurt and some other items. we would definitely stay here if we ever visit orofino again. we would recommend this hotel.

Located on the beautiful Clear Water river! I stay here often and am always happy with the helpful staff, and am always impressed with the overall cleanliness of the facility. With a great restaurant located right next door, it really makes for a comfortable home away from home!

It was everything I read about and more. The staff where so friendly and helpful and made us feel like home. The hotel, grounds and room where very clean. Extras like an area to wash your bikes and water bottles waiting at your bike when you went out in the morning. Bikes park close to the entrance. I have a trike (Spyder) so hubby and I were parked farther down in the parking lot and lo and behold they found us and left us our complimentary waters. I LOVE this place. The breakfast lady kept everything perfect and even came around and topped up our coffees with a warm smile that made our day.

I have been to many many hotels of 5 star category and elegant homes of airbnb. Nothing by far comparison to this basic, but impecable clean hotel. Loved it, loved it. I have never stayed in a cleaner hotel. By far the best!!

Every year we head to this hotel as our destination from Calgary. It is the highlight of our bike trip where we are treated with friendly attentive service. The bikes can be parked against the building where it's safer. A bucket, hose and cloths are available for clean up - and you'll find two bottles of water by your bike in the morning. They welcome groups and offer the best value for your dollar in all of Idaho/Montana. The riverside patio is the ideal place to have a cold beer or wine (yes, they sell them from the lobby!) and watch the boats float by on the Clearwater River. Bird watching along the river is fantastic and the sunsets are gorgeous. Walking path beside the hotel leads to downtown. Quaint town with big hearts and friendly people - the hotel is the highlight of our stay everytime.

A truly wonderful and enjoyable experience. Went to Orofino on a lark and stayed. Can't begin to say enough nice things about the staff and the service. Great town and great location on the Clearwater River.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times before and it is one of my absolute FAVORITE hotels. On the river, a great deck, wonderful service and next door to a really good restaurant/bar which has outdoor seating on the river. My stay this time was not as good as in the past because they put us in a handicap room. The bed was low and not as comfortable. I would stay again, but I would make sure they had a room available that was NOT handicap!

Staying at the Best Western Lodge at River's Edge is an experience you won't soon forget. All rooms with balcony, many facing the river. Amenities include a delicious hot breakfast, beautiful indoor pool and hot tub, evening social hour with beer and wine and more. But the river is it's biggest asset with wildlife abounding and breathless views of mountains and sunsets

My wife and I (and our Llhasa Apso, Daisy) have been here twice before and we love it. My wife passed away last November so this time I brought our daughter, and Daisy, here to share what her mother I had enjoyed staying here. The view of the Clearwater river is unmatched, the facilities are great and the staff is tremendous. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is on the edge of a beautiful river and a wonderful place to sit and watch the river flow by. We were not able to have dinner at the restaurant next door, but it is always great. We alway prefer to stay at this hotel while in Orofino.

Very comfortable dog-friendly, handicapped-accessible room on the banks of the Clearwater River. Nice bed, ample space in room, pleasant patio with direct access to walking path along the river. Close (150 yards) to the charming downtown.

Our stop was partially seeing Lewis and Clark locations and partially for me to get in a run in Idaho. The hotel was great. The room was reasonably spacious, clean, well maintained and with good WiFi. The location is over the top. I sent my wife a 5 sec video of the river that I took sitting on the patio so she could see and hear the river.

Another good Best Western set on the river. Would have preferred a higher floor for a view especially since we booked 8 months prior. Our room was too close to the reception for comfort but noise level was ok. Very well set out hotel with modern lobby and lounge. Breakfast typical of Best Western good but not great. Easy walk into town.

The Lodge at River's Edge is one of my favorite places to stay. The hotel is very nice and the setting on the patio wonderful. That said, we had a catered event on the patio, which turned out to be too hot for the food to sit out. We appreciated their letting us use a meeting room to serve the food without additional charge, but we had problems when one of our group was having difficulty, probably due to the heat. We wanted to have her remain near where the food was and eat at a table where she was in an air conditioned space. They insisted she could not stay even though she nearly fell a moment earlier and could barely walk. She was made to leave and go to the lobby, which was a difficult task for her. They did say a wheel chair was available, which was appreciated. Even so, it would have been far kinder and easier to let her stay. I dropped my rating from Excellent to Very Good because of this.

an absolutely beautiful location; the river flowing by our balcony gave a relaxing atmosphere to sip wine and chat. The lobby and outside patio, ditto. The staff welcoming and helpful, open to questions and offered suggestions for dining and sightseeing. Dined at the nearby restaurant, The Edge Upstream. Delicious meal, and again, great staff.

We came to Orofino just to hang out at Dworshak Lake. Wonderful room, that faced the river. A little more expensive but well worth being able to walk out and sit on the patio. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. The restaurant next-door is very good... steaks etc. On July 4, they had a managers party before the fireworks. For a small town, the fireworks were fantastic. Very loud, with the sound reverberating off the mountains, but excellent.

This hotel is super nice and clean. Staff is super friendly. Really recommended. View from our room was spectacular. Breakfast was really nice as well. Everything was just perfect, we definitely will return to this place.

This lodge is truly at the river's edge. It is a beautiful place to stay and all of the ammenities that you would expect with Best Western are there. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. We had a wonderful time.

Third time on Motorcycle that I have stayed here. Always a outstanding experience! The cold water to go is just one of those special things they do that take a little time but make the visit so good. Breakfast is always outstanding also! Will be back again when next I pass thru.

This Hotel is an incredible place to stay. Not only is the hotel clean, comfortable and welcoming, but the views are totally incredible! Request a room by the river and have coffee on your own patio in the morning and watch the eagles fish.

This is the BEST Best Western in the chain and we've stayed at a lot of them. The staff is wonderful and always help with your needs. The location is riverside and can't be beat. The patio area has lots of tables, chairs and umbrellas so you can sit and watch the world go by. They love motorcyclists and do their best to make us welcome by offering a bike washing station complete with buck, hose, soap and microfiber towels. They have a fish cleaning room for those who want to fish the Clearwater River. They have a social hour from 4:30 til 5:30 with snacks and beer/wine or iced tea. The rooms are clean and fresh. The breakfast in the morning includes make it yourself burritos and the coffee is perfect. You really can't ask for a better place to stay. Plus you get to ride LoLo Pass if you want to. What more can you ask for? Don't be surprised to find two bottles of water under your bike in the morning before you take off!! Really special place!

The beds were so comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and we loved that there were a few pet friendly rooms ( which included pet bed & treat)!! The location being right on the Clearwater River was awesome!! Wish we could've stayed at this hotel longer.

A beautiful little town and a nice venue if you have a little time to enjoy the surroundings. Better not to be in a rush! I had had a long day's drive and I had a very restful night's sleep. This would be an excellent spot for a quiet weekend for two.

This is a beautiful property - very well maintained, clean, pretty, and right on the river. The rooms were so beautiful, I thought the hotel must have gone through a recent remodel. The staff told me that housekeeping just takes tremendous pride in their work. Well, it shows! The front desk staff and the manager were also very professional. When I arrived, I discovered that the room I received was not on the side with a river view. I had thought I'd booked that but when I checked my confirmation, I had not - my fault entirely. The front desk was very gracious with my confused state. The hotel was booked full that night so we could not move, but the staff went to work right away the next morning and we were able to move to the river view side for our second night. My experience at this property is what convinced me to become a Best Western member. I would stay here again without a doubt.

This hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It has the most comfortable beds and the view is gorgeous. It is very clean. There are a sufficient amount of plugins that you would need. It is a highly recommended hotel!!

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms looked brand new as did the lobby. My bed was more comfortable than the bed at the Doubletree I stayed in the following night. The location was very pretty and it was easy to find. The fitness center was small but adequate for a hotel of this size

When you think of the southern part of Idaho's panhandle you think of agriculture. Orofino is a gem surrounded by trees, green forested hills and a majestic river. I recommend Orofino and best Western every time you are in the area!

The Lodge is nestled in on the Clearwater River where the river meets Orofino Creek. The site itself is beautiful. The amazing sunset that we saw while sitting out on their beautiful deck area was worth every penny spent. The crew is very professional and caring. The breakfast lady was also very sweet and put out a fabulous breakfast!

Stayed in Orofino for one night. Used trip advisor to figure out where. This Best Western lived up to the reviews. Clean, friendly staff, full breakfast reasonably priced. Beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were better than average. The room charge was reasonable for the time of year and location. The complementary breakfast (actually we really do pay for it) was the average Best Western fare - it will hold you until lunch.

I stayed for a few days for a local event. They made my stay comfortable and I will be coming back. Pool was good, breakfast was good, small gift shop, some beer, all right by the river. Also if I were more of a fisherman this would be a killer place to stay, they even have a room to clean fish how cool is that!

Best Western at Rivers Edge is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy and all amenities included. We had a deck with the river running past. Worth it! Well trained staff and polite. Good breakfast. We will continue to stay at Best Westerns.

We recently stayed at this hotel with several family members everything was great until we checked out and had left the hotel. We found out that our son's fitbit was stolen by the cleaning staff. Upon our call back to the hotel we were told they would check. We received a call back stating the fitbit was found under the pillow on the bed. This was very suspicious as both my husband and I had taken everything off the beds to ensure the boys had not left anything. When we returned to the hotel, my son came to me and showed me where the fit bit had registered someone heart rate and fat burning and more The only way this could of happened is if it was on someone's wrist. We back tracked when he had taken if off and it was on the chair next to his bag Thursday evening to go swimming, Friday morning/afternoon we were at a memorial service and when we came back he noticed it was missing but never said anything until we left the hotel.

Our stay was wonderful.The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were perfect.The morning breakfast was not so good.The biscuits were hard and cold and no jelly/jam was available.Even though the restaurant next door is not part of your facility we wanted you to know that the service was poor and the food was mediocre.Also we cannot visit again because you do not welcome pets.So sorry,we'd like to stay more often.

I really had a great Experience at this Hotel, I stayed here for 3 days and had a great stay. The Clearwater River was right out my door. The view was Beautiful. Quaint little town. Nice people. I would stay again.

I travel many nights for work and pleasure, and stay at best western anytime it's an option. I have yet to stay at any best western that failed to meet all my needs and comforts. They also have a great rewards plan, and this is why I always choose best western over any other option.

Did a 5 day drive through trip in Idaho from CA. This was the best hotel and location. Rooms were clean, breakfast was outstanding, eggs, waffles, bagels, toast and juices, fresh and plentiful. Hotel appears to be new within a few years. Indoor pool and spa. Riverside room views were outstanding of Clearwater river. Orofino creek to the north of hotel was at river stage with recent weather. Resturant's within walking distance. Awoke to have breakfast and watched fly fisherman from the balcony and great lobby style entry to hotel. Will definitely make this a must stop for travels going this way in the future. Room rates were outstanding for the features and amenities.

Fantastic property right on the Clearwater River. Great breakfast, great rooms and most importantly GREAT Staff. Katlyin was great! Sorry if I spelled your name wrong! Perfect place to stay if fishing for the fantastic steelhead or hunting for the deer in the area.

We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary here. Fairly close to home but far enough to feel like a great little getaway. Had a very comfy room with view of the river and a small patio with chairs and table fir us to sit and enjoy the scenery. Enjoyed the hit tub and a very nice dinner at the restaurant next door. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. We appreciated that this is a pet friendly hotel. Will go again.

We are a group who pays 100% attention to customer service and customer detail in our shop, its nice to go somewhere and recieve excellent service and products. Way to go you all did great!! The minute we showed up for check in they knew exactly who we were and were totally prepared check in was a breeze, fun and inviting personalities really made our group feel welcome.

Great newer hotel with amenities for the sportsman. The management understands that the facility is possible due to recreational activities. There is a fish cleaning station indoors at the facility. The breakfast is timed to make sure you are out in the field at sunrise. They are not too concerned if you take your gear into the room. Highly recommended.

Best hotel in Orofino! Be sure to book a river view room and arrive before sunset to enjoy the beautiful scenary. Balcony is spacious with furniture to enjoy wine in the afternoon and coffee in the morning (unless it's after October - then it's probably too chilly.) Beautiful large stone fireplace in the lobby to enjoy with friends and lots of outside seating areas with thoset beautiful river views.

The view on the river is beautiful and the staff are all friendly & helpful! The breakfast is OK and the lobby is comfortable. The staff are willing to help you with suggestions for sightseeing and fun. Get the river front rooms!

We stayed at this wonderful Lodge while fishing this past year. The Lodge faces the Clearwater River, and has a number of rooms facing the river that is less than 100' away! It has a large lobby that is always stocked with drinks and snacks. They serve a pretty nice complementary breakfast there as well. With sausage, eggs, waffles, etc. Across the parking lot sits a nice restaurant and lounge. The pricing is very reasonable at slightly over $100 dollars for a decent room, we recently booked the Clearwater Suite for $248 dollars. A beautiful place to spend a few days whether you're a sportsman or just want a quiet place to get away!

We always make sure we stay at least one night on our annual trip to the Northwest. Love sitting on the balcony and watching the river. Always clean, quiet and friendly. Great stay, staff is always helpful.

We had a good stay here. From the reviews on this site I expected a whole lot better, but that's not the hotel's fault. This property is an older midrange hotel with meeting space in a pretty setting. It is well maintained and and has excellent staff. Our room was clean and had reasonably new furniture and carpet. The bathroom had a newer one-piece plastic looking tub and surround. The bed was comfortable. The room was dark enough that we needed to keep all of the lights on even in the daytime. Our balcony would have been pleasant in warmer weather. All of the employees I met did a good job, particularly the breakfast attendant. But I stay in a lot of hotels, and I recall a tip jar in the breakfast room only one other time. I wish they would pay her more and if need be add it to my room rate. Ditto the tip solicitation from each of the three different people who apparently cleaned my room. Some people will love the kitschy decor and gift shop. I am not one of them. But the view is great.

A really pleasant stay. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Very nice room with good amenities and a comfortable bed. Nice breakfast too. Only there 1 day and kind of hated to leave.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and always a great stay. Highly recommended! The view of the river improves the experience and adds to the calm. There is an excellent restaurant one minute walk from the hotel as well.

Very clean, nicely appointed rooms and a killer location right on the river. Trust me, get a river view room - the sounds and view are amazing. Staff has always been very friendly and the facility has always been remarkably well kept. It doesn't get much better than this for the price. I've paid much more for much less. I haven't tried one of their suites yet, but look forward to trying one of them next time.

We chose a room on the river side, sat on our balcony until dark, and then left the door open so we could hear the river all night. The Clearwater is a beautiful river and this is a great place to stay - right beside it. The staff is friendly, the rooms are cozy, and the breakfast filling and delicious. There is a nice patio for an afternoon drink or for breakfast in the summer and the whole facility is well maintained. I'd love to go back - a dream of a place to sleep!

We have stayed at this Best Western before and loved our experience. That is why we chose to stay again. It has a beautiful setting next to the river and wished we had been able to have a room on the ground floor.

Close to town, very clean, friendly staff and beautiful view. Overall a great place to stay. I would stay here again anytime and have made reservations for next year already. They offer all amenities needed including a very nice restaurant next door. The river view is absolutely amazing.

Friends of mine and I were traveling cross-country on motorcycles. We got delayed due to me running out of gas and booked this location. What a wonderful site at the end of a long day. River view at dusk was wonderful and calming, close proximity to a great restaurant was nice so we could stay off the bikes and breakfast near the river on their large patio energized us for the ride ahead! Would love to return some day.

We drove by this hotel two years ago - umbrellas on the patio, setting sun. . . we agreed that we wanted to stay at BWPlus Lodge at River's Edge next time though - it was everything we could hope for and more. Your staff and breakfast were especially lovely. Really enjoyed our stay.

this place has a lot of little extras, for your stay. the view is great, the patio with the fire places or heaters make it nice to enjoy. lobby area is wonderful. and each room does have a balancy ,the extras are just great. easy on and off of main road

This was a wonderful experience, while we were working on our new property, we were able to come back to the room and just unwind, the rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was wonderful and overall it was wonderful experience.

If you are looking for a hotel at the west end of the Lolo Pass, this is a good choice. A nice hotel with the typical amenities. It is located on the river, and has a great patio outside to enjoy the view. They even had a complimentary happy hour with free beer and wine. A very nice touch. But the clincher is how they cater to motorcycle riders. When we arrived, they told us about the bike wash station. They provide microfiber towels to clean your bike. They let us park our bikes under the awning in front of the hotel, because rain was expected that night. When we got up the next morning, we found two water bottles by each bike with a message for safe travels. We really appreciated the extra care.

We had a room with a small balcony and view of the river on the third floor. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. A microwave and a mini refrigerator were also provided. The tub/shower combo looked brand new. So, we had a surprise in the morning while preparing to shower. There was no hot water, no matter how long the water ran. There was hot water in the sink ouside of bathroom. Since the fixtures in the tub looked new, we figured that the hot water line was not connected. Other than that, our stay was comfortable. The evening reception was nice as was the hot breakfast in the morning. Will stay here again when in the area; provided our room has running hot water!

Feels brand new! Everything is spotlessly clean! Just a really nice, comfortable hotel with a great room style lobby that opens onto an outdoor patio filled with umbrella tables that overlook the river. Comfortable beds and hot breakfast items. We were impressed!

This hotel was ideally located along the river close to the main part of town. It was quiet and very comfortable.Great place to stay if you are passing through or exploring the area. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. The patio overlooking the river was very relaxing during happy hour. Breakfast had lots of choices and was very good.

We travel by motorcycle and were just passing thru. Several friends had told us this was a really nice place, but we were blown away. Sitting alongside, almost over the beautiful Clearwater River, a nicer setting you will not find. You arrive on the parking lot side and it looks nice, but just wait till you walk through the door and see, 1) the lobby and 2) look across to the huge beautiful patio overlooking the river. This is the kind of setting you wish you had at home! Staff was so nice and helpful, the breakfast was first class and the room was perfect. We wished we could have stayed for another night (or week). Karla wants to make that ride along the Clearwater again, and stop for as long as possible at the Lodge at1River's Edge. Rates were beyond reasonable. You will regret it, if you stay anywhere else.......you're going to love it.

We have stayed at many, many hotels over the years but I have to say that this one ranks up there at the very top of those that we found to be exceptionally clean. Every detail was spot on. The bathroom fixtures were so clean I could have been told that they were brand new, had never been used and I would have believed it. We could not find a single flaw in our stay other than their internet was a little slow. The staff was very friendly and focused on making it a very pleasant stay for us. The breakfast was very good and the selection very broad. They even had it set up earlier than their stated ready time. It had a lovely restaurant next door that had excellent food and service. Our overall stay couldn't have been any better!

This Best Western is spotless, with some of the friendliest, most consciencious staff we have experienced. Every employee went out of tbeir way to be courteous, friendly, and helpful. Most went the extra mile to show they care about their guests. For example, we noticed they put water bottles out for their guests who were on motorcycles and getting ready to brave the heat. Orofino is a small town, but staff recommended we try the local Mexican restaurant that was also excellent in terms of service, food quality, and cleanliness. We happened by this small town in Idaho and turned in. Cute town and saw a Best Western. Walked in and voila- beautiful with great helpful staff. Room was suburb overlooking river. Breakfast hot and lots of choice. WOuld stay here again if in area. Everything was great.

First review I've ever written in my life. Have to say this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in a long time. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. Beds are really comfy. Pool was nice. The scenery with the river is great. Well done Best Western!

Stayed here for 1 night while riding my motorcycle to the west coast and back in August. The hotel is gorgeous. So clean and located on a beautiful river setting with mountains all around. The hotel had social hour which served free beer and wine with snacks. Met some nice people. There is a huge outside patio with seating with tables all around. The inside breakfast area is really nice too. Had a river view room and the room was outstanding. Would highly recommend

The location is just beautiful. The hotel is located along the Clearwater River. You can get rooms with balconies practically at the water's edge. The view is fantastic. The hotel is really nice. The outdoor patio, along the river, has a pond. The inside is decorated with local art. The quality is better than what you might normally see in a hotel. The staff was great. There's a free breakfast and free happy hour. Adjacent to the hotel is a really good restaurant, also along the river. The food was exceptional and not terribly expensive. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was large, clean and quiet. The outdoor patio was perfect for eating a meal or just relaxing. Breakfast was good. It is a nice place to spend a night or a week in the quiet of a small river town.

Upon entering this town, I was tempted to move on to the next one, but this Best Western is the nicest place in the entire area. It is built along a river, the rooms on the river side have balconies, and the lobby is quaint and welcoming. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The full breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was in the lobby which faced the river. Beds were comfortable and the restaurant next door had wonderful food. We were welcomed with bottled water and there was a wine and cheese reception in the late afternoon. Very relaxing and a comfortable stay.

This hotel is everything I expect from a Best Western. Clean comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Excellent customer service. A little high priced but since they are the only game in town, it is to be expected.

Best Western is earning my loyalty - especially when it is a "Plus" or "Premier" property. We stayed on our way into Glacier from the Portland area and we were not disappointed. One should know that there are not many restaurants within walking distance - just one in the same parking lot. Getting a late dinner could be tricky. We were ground level near the office and there was little to no noise.

We picked this hotel based off of reviews and photos. Gorgeous river's edge view from our room. Loved that each room has a balcony to enjoy the sounds and sites of the river. Room was clean and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the complimentary Happy Hour on the sunny patio of the Hotel. The sculptures, fountain and landscaping are lovely. We spent some time in the pool and hot tub, both very clean and peaceful. We ordered in pizza and ate it on our private deck off the room. Was a great experience!!

We stayed two nights and both nights we found waters by our bikes each morning! After riding through lots of rain on our way there, our bikes were very dirty. The bike wash was awesome and very convenient. Not only was soap available, there was bug cleaner as well. The outdoor seating areas were very nice. The pool room was beautiful. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained.

The property is beautiful. We spent the extra few dollars to have a balcony overlooking the river and woke up to the sound of water. Terrific. Preferred parking for motorcycles and when we went out to the bikes, they had left us bottles of water. Staff were very friendly! We'd come back!

There is really nothing that could be improved at this facility. It is everything you could ask for in a spectacular setting overlooking the Clearwater River. For something extra special try one of the suites!

Staff here were great. they got us every thing we needed plus more. FYI - they are VERY Biker friendly - have a bike wash and let you park right in front - gave us extra water for our ride and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. We will definitely stay here again. The breakfast was outstanding.

This hotel caters to the motorcyle enthusiast. Preferred parking under the eaves in case of rain - in the morning they leave two bottles of water beside each bike. There's a wash station too. The patio is beautiful, the view of the river, birds flying by - rafters on inner tubes floating by. You can purchase beer/wine/coolers at the reception desk, and take them out on the deck. Very cool concept that I wish more hotels did. It's a short walk to any of the local restaurants and the staff are great at recommending one for your tastes. This is always a destination hotel for us on our Lolo Pass bike trips. You'll love it.

This motel's attention to detail gets the five star rating. They let us park our motorcycles up close. In the am we had two water bottles sitting by each bike.way cool! On Thursday they had a free social hour with beer and wine. Great after a long and hot day of riding! The breakfast was excellent. Again due to the attention to detail. The rooms are very clean and the beds quality. I highly recommend this motel.

Would highly recommend this hotel, couldn't ask for better in all respects. The rooms are spotless extremely comfortable, the view of the river is outstanding especially from the third floor. And on a night with a full moon, what more could one ask. The breakfast bar has improved a great deal, we would have skipped the meal here a while back, but not any more.

Everything about this stay was special, extraordinary really, from the beautiful setting looking over the Clearwater river, to the impeccably clean, oversize and nicely appointed room. There was a social hour welcome right when we got there, and the staff were among the nicest I have encountered anywhere. Everything in the room looked new, altho the property is 11 years old. We will definitely go back.

This inn is the perfect regional getaway, very reasonable in rate for the value received and beautifully situated at the confluence of Orofino Creek and the Clearwater on the Lewis & Clark Trail. The accommodations are just below grand, squeaky clean, and superbly maintained. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the river on a sunny morning is a delight. This property rates the highest praise

Had planned at staying in a different motel in another town down the road but they couldn't me my requirements and I was able to make a late switch to the Best Western. Fantastic place with a great view of the Clearwater River. The breakfast was great with a do it yourself burritto bar. Quite with wonderful beds. On a road trip with my 17 year old grandson. He loved the town and a nearby Mexican restaurant.

EXCELLENT place to stay!!. We REALLY enjoyed this hotel. Rooms are perfect and very CLEAN! We did not book one but you can reserve a balcony room overlooking the river for a fantastic view. You can sit on the deck overlooking the Clearwater River and look at the amazing surroundings. Restaurant beside the hotel is a good add as the town is quite small. The free continental breakfast was perfect compare to many other types of hotel. The staff was nice and very polite. They knew that we were motorcycle riders so early on the next morning the staff put 2 bottles of water next to our motorcycles for our next day ride. You want wipe-down towels and access to a cleaning station so that you can clean your expensive bike? This Best Western has that ready for you. Just ask them. I am a proud owner of a beautiful BMW bike and, like many others, it is important to keep our expensive toys spotless after a day-trip. In the past, motorcycles used to be scary for the general public (because of the lawless biker gangs) but today that reputation has been smashed by "real world" motorcyclists. Pay attention to the riders (especially the ones with a BMW bike) in the next lane beside your car because they might be your doctor, your lawyer, your teacher or your accountant. When I arrive at a hotel, I expect to be treated like any other customer - all motorcyclists expect to be welcomed with respect. Not too many hotels in North of America respect motorcycle riders. Best Western is a “Rider-Friendly” hotel and for that reason I give this hotel a deserved five-star with a big PLUS :)

Excellent in every respect while visiting Orofino, Idaho. Great steel fishing near by. Very good restaurant close at hand, with both outdoor and indoor dining, and friendly wait staff. Beautiful mountainous location and scenery.

A nice clean facility with helpful staff made the stay very enjoyable. Nice to have everything in place when you pull in so one can focus on other details involved with doing service work. A well done job, thanks again.

We have stayed here several times. This time we rode our motorcycles through about 150 miles of rain to get there. Once we arrived and got into our room we headed to the lobby. Since it was July the fireplace was off, but they were nice and turned it on for us. We got all warmed up by the fire and could sit and have a drink. Had pizza brought in since the restaurant next door is closed on Sundays :(.We could sit at the tables and eat our dinner where we had plates, napkins and coffee, water if we wanted. They also put 2 bottles of water next to your motorcycle for your next days ride.

They have a very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was super-clean. It had a nice patio with comfy chairs where we could relax and enjoy a view of the gently flowing river. Breakfast was good, with plenty of selections. What's not to like? Will definitely stay here again.

We reserved a balcony room overlooking the river. We watched people floating and fishing along the river. The room was clean and breakfast was good. The free breakfast was good and the Edge restaurant next door was excellent.

This is an amazing place to stay. I go every 4th of July and the experience is wonderful every time! The staff is amazing, the breakfast is wonderful, the rooms are always very clean and the view in Orofino, Idaho is out of this world. I will go there every year, no doubt about it.

Orofino is such a beautiful little town and this hotel definitely captures the beauty by sitting right at the river's edge. The property is wonderfully decorated and is very clean and welcoming. The staff were all wonderful. They had a nice happy hour where we could sit on the deck and look at the amazing surroundings. I would definitely recommend a river facing room. We sat on our private balcony for about two hours drinking wine and talking and taking in the view. Fabulous!

We stopped here on the way north based on a recommendation from my family. They loved this hotel so much they have stayed here twice and insisted that we did. Orofino is a very small town but this hotel does not feel like a roadside hotel. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are very well appointed . We were traveling with our dog and the hotel was accommodating and it was convenient for the dog to come and go. Nice social hour with beer and wine in the lobby or on the beautiful patio surrounded on two side by rivers.

We came to Orofino for a wedding and were really pleased with our experience here. The location is right on the river and the building takes advantages of the incredible view. The room we had was well appointed, perfectly maintained and comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly but my favorite was the lady who sets up the breakfast in the morning. She worked so hard every day to make the breakfast perfect for guests. It was clear that she took her work personally. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay!

This hotel is on the Clearwater River in a beautiful setting. For those traveling by motorcycle, you will find the "motorcycle washing station" unbelievable. It not only has a hose, it also has a bucket and liquid car soap. Just ask for a washing towel at the desk at sign in. In the morning, we found 2 bottles of water by the bike to ensure we had water on the bike for the ride up Lolo Pass. It just doesn't get any better. The onsite restaurant has really great food - the cook is to be commended for his abilities. It also has riverside deck dining. The hotel offers room on the river (complete with chairs on private decks) as well as less expensive rooms off the riverside. The employees are wonderful and you'll enjoy the social hour in the evening in the lobby. It doesn't get much better than this when you're traveling by MC and get to ride Lolo Pass before and/or after your stay. Orofino, ID is a small community with a fabulous hotel.

Wonderful place to stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast personnel was great, housekeeping made sure you had everything you needed. Peaceful and comfortable. This was our third time staying there and will definitely not be our last. We love it there!!

We recently stayed here for 2 nights for a friend's wedding. The hotel's location is beautiful! It's easy to find - right off the highway and RIGHT on the river. You can pretty much put your feet in the river from the patio. The rooms were immaculately clean. Our room had a microwave and mini fridge which are always very useful wen out of town. The bed was so comfy we hardly wanted to get out of it. The linens were so soft as well as the pillows. The only thing getting us out of bed on our first morning there was the gorgeous view we had of the river. We had a river view room on the 3rd floor. We had our own private balcony with little seating area where we could enjoy our coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. The staff was so friendly. We were coming in from out of town and didn't realize there was a time change (oops) and we got to town extremely early. They allowed us to check in early which was such a relief for us. There are housekeepers there at all hours of the day...there were tons of them, always working very hard. The continental breakfast was probably the best I've ever had at a hotel. They had a good selection of hot and cold choices, good coffee and fresh fruit, among many other things. There was an attendant at the breakfast paying full attention the whole time, making sure everything was neat and clean and fully stocked. The wedding we attended was gorgeous and the staff was well prepared for that as well. We got all of this for a very fair price. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!

We took a trip over Lolo pass and were going to stay at Lochs Lodge (not good) left after looking at the cabin! Further down to Orofino but this is a marvelous place and deserves all of the good reviews. Wonderful setting, looks and feels as if it was built last year- clean and a lodge feel. Very nice reception, professional. Great patio, we had a riverside room on the third floor which was great with balcony and chairs. Not many places with that view. Quiet, HVAC was whisper quiet, computer charging station, nice amenities- really hard to have any complaints.

We have stayed at BW Plus/Orofino seven nights over the past 3 months, and we have never been disappointed in service or accommodations. The staff is friendly and efficient, the breakfast bar is extraordinary, the bed is comfortable and the room is not cramped size-wise. The pool is nice/clean and a treat during the colder months. There is also a small gift shop with nice articles to buy that you won't see anywhere else. This Hotel is tops!

This BW is located on Main St. just off Highway 12 in Orofino, ID along Clearwater River. Convenient travel on & off the main roadway yet quietly secluded. Private patios on the ground floor along the back of the Lodge allow you to watch the swift moving river and enjoy watching the local wildlife. We stayed in Rm107 about the middle of the lower floor. It was a very enjoyable stay. Close to all the amenities a small town has to offer. Plan on eating before 9pm or you may have trouble finding a place open. We found the pizza restaurant in town that stays open until 10pm and great pizza!

This place is the bomb. The rooms are spacious plenty of room for luggage and bicycles the lobby is big and relaxing there's a huge patio deck sitting right by the river they have a social beer and wine for free our at 430 + fresh hot cookies at 5:30. There is a pool and jacuzzi that are at awesome temperature and very clean. And the breakfast bar is absolutely to die for I have never seen blueberry waffles on the breakfast bar and fresh fruit toppings and all the fixings to make a breakfast sandwich omelette and breakfast burrito the list just goes on and on this is a fabulous place you gotta try it.

The employees are all very pleasant and friendly. Located next to the Clearwater River. Beautiful setting. Nice patio area overlooking river. Good hot breakfast. We were in town for a wedding, one of three for the weekend. It was also graduation weekend. Yet we never experienced any problems. They were well prepared for the number of guests.

Our accommodations and service were excellent The location and surrounding countryside were lovely and peaceful. Good selection of eateries in immediate area (walking distance). The complimentary breakfast was of good variety, plentiful, in comfortable surroundings. The Social Hour was an unexpected and pleasurable experience. The pool and hot tub were spacious and handicap accessible, the first we have seen.

This is the best kept secret in the State of Idaho. There is more scenery than you can take in, great places to eat, things to go and see but the best thing about this Hotel is the friendlies of all the Staff.

This location is a great getaway for a weekend, right on the Clearwater River. You have the mtns, Dworshak Dam , Fish Hatchery, Clearwater Casino about 30 minutes away to visit. This location has become a yearly event for our motorcycle group. The staff at the Best Western River's Edge are awesome.

This was one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in in recent years. The river view was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was better than most hotel complementary breakfasts. Staff all were great. I will make it a point to stay at this hotel again even thought it is not near an interstate.

Stayed in many hotels and was surprised to find this gem in such a small town. On the river and a great lobby space. Greeting by an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Happy Hour was a treat after a long day on the bike. Two bottles of water beside the motorbike in the morning was a surprise! You can't go wrong here.

Such a beautiful hotel. Make sure the have the riverside view it is amazing to sit on the patio in the evening and in the morning. Best hotel staff always so happy and willing to help with whatever. Amazing continental breakfast hands down.

Excellent accommodations. No restaurant on site, but a small selection of good places within easy walk. Beer and wine available, with a very comfortable outside seating area on the river with a Koi pond and beautiful scenery.

This is a typical Best Western. Modern, clean, courteous staff, convention center, exercise room, heated pool. It is located right on the east bank of the Clearwater River. They have a continental breakfast but I am always on the river before it begins. They do have fresh coffee at 3:00 am. There is an excellent restaurant right next door and a really nice fish cleaning room attached to the hotel. Business or fishing, this place fits right in.
