This hote is currently under construction for updates, so if the sight of boxes is going to ruin your life... wait until the remodel is done. For us, it was no problem! The remodel already completed looked beautiful and clean. We never had any problem with construction noise. We barely knew any work was going on at all. My husband and I stayed on floor one in a king bedroom suite, and our friend stayed one floor up in a queen suite. They honored our ground floor request for my husband's injured ankled, as well as the request for us to be a nearby the second room as possible. The concierge/front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. We appreciated the living space being truly separate from the sleep space, with a door to close to the bedroom. We also liked the full-size fridge, so we could put our whole case of water in on day one, and not have to worry about reloading it as we drank. The bed is a little firm for our personal taste, but it didn't hinder us from being able to sleep. The breakfast area looks remodeled already, modern and clean. Coffee, various juices, 4 cereal options, muffins, bagels, eggs, waffles, french toast sticks, toast, and everything you need to dress those things - milk, peanut butter, jelly, cream cheese, butter, and syrup. There was bacon one morning, and sausage the rest of the mornings. The location was convenient for us, as we were visiting both Universal and Disney parks. I'd say we were right smack in the middle of the two brands. It's on the quiet end of the street, and super easy to get to the parks, shopping, and restaurants. We used the side entrance, which was accessible with our room key after-hours, and happened to be steps away from our door. All-in-all, it was a comfortable, safe, clean place to lay our heads down at night after a long day at the parks, and we would definitely stay again.
After being screwed over by VRBO the day of our arrival, my sister hurriedly found this place and we booked it for our trip to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween at Disney and Brick or Treat in Legoland. We had a suite with two queen beds and a sofa bed which was just enough space for 6 of us. The unit featured a nice kitchenette but as a hot continental breakfast was provided, we really didn't use it. We swam in the beautiful pool on our off day. This place was minutes from the outlets and minutes from Disney. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and we even got housekeeping one day (rare post COVID). We would definitely consider staying here again but as they are undergoing renovations, it will probably be out of our budget the next time. Thanks for salvaging our trip!
Hotel is under remodel. Hoping rooms get upgraded as well. Great location and love having a kitchenette.
My stay was wonderful the facilities was under renovation so hopefully next time it wouldn't be so noisy but over all we had a good time staying at SureStay
Lets start whit the room : TERRIBLE smells like mold or a dirty air conditioning , my keys never work on the middle of the night someone have to help me to open the door. Breakfast the food was not good. and No air conditioning in the hallway......
The room was big and cleaned. Customer service was good. The building is modern. Location is good. The price was fair for a suite. Overall I enjoyed my stay
I understand that this hotel is ready to be upgraded but there were stains everywhere on the hallway carpet, the bathroom sink was cracked and the room is tired
The room was nit clean. Microwave and toaster in the room were dirty. Mold in the shower and tub was dirty. Door to the room was hard to open. The A/C was so loud it woje you up everytime it turned on during the night. Location is near Disney which is nice.
I thought this place was great, even though under renovation. From the rules sign in the Fitness Center it looks like it was once a Homewood Suites. I don't care! This place was hopping even under reno. We asked for a room on a higher floor. The young man checking us in got on the phone---to Housekeeping I presume---and we got Room 448, top floor. It had a huge living area, a huge bedroom, and practically a FULL KITCHEN with big fridge, microwave, stove top burners and a DISHWASHER!!! It was Home Away From Home! I wish I could have stayed longer and done some cooking! Room had HUGE alcove type windows looking down on the pool and grounds. We were cool as cucumbers with great air even though the place was under renovation. Great breakfast with hot foods, cereals, muffins, Danish, French toast, you name it. Coffee, Milk, wide Juice selection. Fitness Center had a great machine with a combination chest press and fly machine. All staff were fabulous, personal and professional. We got Best Western Rewards Points for our stay. All for $92 a night. Talk about VALUE! Parking is ample and well lit. The hotel is located on the gorgeous Palm Parkway, surrounded by huge stately Live Oaks. Literally minutes from Disney. Once this renovation is complete, this place is going to be quite the place to stay. Anyone who isn't a BW Rewards Member needs to get enrolled ASAP!
Stay away until renovations are complete! We had a horrible experience and the place should be closed during renovations. The pool is closed, the downstairs bathrooms are closed, there is junk everywhere. Unsafe tile in the breakfast area. Our room was gross. Deteriorating everything. Our shower/bathtub was black and I saw bugs twice in the night when using the bathroom. We couldn't stay after that night. The manager was nice when brought to their attention but other people were also complaining. Felt terrible for families that were probably on vacation.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL We stayed for one night in November 2023 and when we went to check out the following morning our car was gone. We thought it had been stolen but when we checked with the front desk clerk he told us it had probably been towed. This happens frequently at this hotel. They tow your car even if you are a paying hotel guest. Apparently they have some clandestine agreement with Brignoni Towing a local unethical and dishonourable company. They prowl around in the middle of the night to steal your car. They claimed we had expired plates (tags) which was untrue. We showed them a govt document stating that our plates (tags) were valid until Feb 2025. This ordeal ended up costing us $370.00. The hotel manager (Adriana) refused to speak to us. We called 3X and she would not return our call. On Feb 15 2024 we went to the hotel to speak personally with her and she was supposedly in a meeting. We explained to the hotel clerk why we were there and he told us that guests from Europe had recently had their rental car towed. Emailed the manager and again no response. No response from the hotel owner Jumani Hospitality. Best Western CEO Larry Cuculic said "sorry the response received from the hotel isn't what you expected and thanks for the feedback". Do not stay at any Best Western Hotel or their brand. They do not care about their paying guests and do no act with honesty and integrity.
This hotel is under renovation and looks like they have just stopped in the middle of it. the rooms are in poor shape and the pool was drained and not working. Half of the lights in the room didn't work.
When I booked this hotel I was never told that it was under construction. Pool was closed. There was no water for a few hours in one occasion, on my last day I had no hot water. In order to have my room cleaned I had to request it at the front desk. During my 10 days stayed my bed sheets were never changed, and my bed was made two times only because I also had to request it, and the way they made the beds were very slappy, it looked like the just throw the blanket and pillows. I took pictures just in case.
Arrived at the hotel around 1900. Hotel is under construction with loads of boxes at the front. The 2 guys on the front desk were spot on (guy with a beard) making best with what they have. Got to the room and there was no hot water. Still none this morning. Unable to shower. The room was pretty big, but there was an electrical box in a cupboard (unsecured) with high voltage signs! Not great for kids from a health and safety standpoint point. It was also quite loud, which made it difficult to sleep. If you plan to use the laundry, be prepared to visit about 100 stores to get $6 on quarters. No change at the hotel - pointless service!
Hotel rooms are spacious and clean. There's a seperate room with couch and kitchen. Perfect for families visiting Disney area. It is in the Best Western family of properties and I highly recommend their rewards program.
This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever been to! I've never had a horrible experience with Best Western until I stayed at this Sure Stay Plus hotel. It reeked of urine, tub was atrocious, stains on the furniture and mold on the ceiling. The hotel manager refused to give me a refund even though I left the hotel within a couple hours. I have never written a bad review for Best Western before, but I sure will write a bad on this specific location on ever platform I find! I can't see how anyone would this these conditions are acceptable to rent to anyone! I encourage their staff to shower in their tub or to lay their head on their filthy furniture!
Pool is not usable. It was filled with rainwater and debris. Not like the picture on the website. Hotel is being remodeled and we were in a room that was finished. Big stain on couch. Underwear hanging from the floor lamp right when you opened the doot. Not convinced that the room had been cleaned but the sheets were clean but no blankets. Breakfast was sparse. Room had no blankets or spreads, just sheets. Bathroom had mildew. Appliances dirty. Staff was polite.
We were not told there was no hot water until we were checking in at 930pm. I went to take a shower in the morning knowing it'd be cold, however there was simple NO water. The room size was great for the value, but definitely smelled old and musty.
The furniture was old and stained, the kitchenette was very old with a cracked microwave with interior rust A gross tub that had some body hairs stuck on the.shower walls, a loose sagging shower rod and a thick matt of hair in a rust drain trap. The floor was stick, the ac unit made a loud noise each time.it cycled, and the provide linens and towels were thin, and the blanket something that should be donated to dog rescue. I wouldn't eat nor prep there
Book this hotel only if you want to ruin your vaccation. Its a construction zone with paint smell and broken floor at various places. Smelly and dirty rooms noisy AC. Park your car at your own risk. Hot and humid lobby and corridors.
This was my second stay at this hotel and I'm sure I will visit again. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the halls and rooms are quiet, breakfast is fresh, warm, and tasty (albeit simpler options) and the location is convenient for spending time in the Disney area. It's not a luxury stay, but I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice experience in an affordable stay.
Very very bad experience. I have never reviewed a hotel before and this was an intolerable experience. I have to clarify. The hygiene is very unclean, the toilet is very smelly, and the bathroom door is broken and cannot be locked. The most important thing is that after staying for one night, I developed a rash on my body and hands. because bug。I asked the hotel for a refund. They said the manager was not available and waited for several days. The hotel responded that they did not agree to refund. I have checked out early. I can't live any longer. They don't refund me even if I didn't stay. This is simply an overbearing clause. Unreasonable hotel. Breakfast is also very limited. The room is very old.
The room I got in the first place had a bad smell. And it was wet. Not sure it is because of the weather in Florida. And the AC thing (more like a furnace size thing) was tool loud. The staff was nice. Total experience was ok. But I will check other places first if I come back. I will find somewhere else next time.
Room was well equipped, staff were friendly and helpful. Room felt a little dated and could do with updating, but everything was clean, and good value for the price paid. Air conditioning unit was very loud however. Very good location a few minutes from I drive and Disney Springs
The manager at this location Zoey is very unprofessional and discourteous , while trying to check in she had not fully checked me into the system and ended up rebooking my room to another person. This man comes into my room scaring my three kids and spouse half to death. When I go down to the lobby to get things sorted out Zoey the manager becomes extremely defensive and tells me that “things happen” and brushed me off as if this is a normal occurring problem. Truly the worst experience I've ever had and the manager zoey should get out of hospitality if she is unable to be kind to guest.
Opened the refrigerator upon arrival , it had an horrible smell. Went to check the beds , there were crumbs & hair in the beds & bed skirt, the curtain had a dead fly. Hotel did offer to move me to another room but still wanted me to use my points for the first night & they give me 1,000 points back. How wrong is that? Then I was told by the front desk clerk he did me a favor letting me check in early . So letting me check in early justifies giving me a nasty room?? He also claimed to be the owner but his name tag said front desk. He clearly didn't know how to handle himself & had to continually consult with management eventually management spoke with me & refunded me my points and allowed me to cancel. I had spoke with another guest prior to leaving the hotel and she said she had to switch rooms her day of arrival because her original room was nasty as well.
Great hotel , staff very helpful . Price and quality is great!! Great breakfast!! Shamir at front desk is awesome.. Rob was very helpful also , so far me and my kids love it here .. I will stay again !
Just for one night! We were looking for an affordable to spent a night in Lake Buena Vista Area! It is an old hotel, a former Quality Suites for many years, then a Jumanji Suites and now the Surestay! They are trying hard to renew the hotel, and it is already partly done, but they should have finished before opening to guests! Staff is nice, but careless! We checked in and after Walking carrying 2 heavy bags for the hallway , we found an untidy and messy room! We were tired and had to wait to the room ready! Breakfast was great, but I really feel the hotel was not ready to receive guests!
