My mistake was reading the previous reviews before our stay. We were there for 1 night for Rolling Stones concert. That hotel was so clean and manicured, from the parking lot to the landscaping. Not in a bad area at all, no prostitutes...it can compare to any 5 star hotel. Floors were shiny clean. Location was perfect. Don't let the bad reviews discourage you. Those people with bad reviews probably complain about everything. Go.
Don't. Just don't. Bad part of town. Housekeeping was terrible. No soap or shampoos in room. No coffee for coffee pot. Room lock not functioning. exterior entry doors broken. Just a bad run down property, despite the efforts to spruce up the tiny rooms this place is well below most standards.
I had removed my previous review after giving another chance but no more nice woman. My first time staying here was November 2022. I booked my room in March of that year. Fast forward to December 8th 2022. I forward booked my room for November 2023. I had attempted to forward book my November 2024 room. But they refused to open books due to "no rates yet" cool you wanna raise prices and gouge for the November event. No problem .I left a review about it. Because it is the only BW doing that. Let's move to now. I booked a room February 28th 2024. For March 2nd 2024. I arrive 8 pm at night. Chris says "oh I've been waiting for you to check on" And then says "Oh the owner put a do not rent in your file". I assume.he was upset about my previous review which I had removed. So you are telling me..you waited until I drove 2 hours to Orlando to tell me I can't rent?!? But your system allowed me to book. You sent me not 1 but TWO confirmation emails. About my booking. You can't tell me that was not on purpose to prove a point. I will absolutely never give more money to this hotel ever again. For a mediocre hotel at best. And when I asked why I will not be rented too all I was told was "I don't know" unprofessional staff. Sub par accommodations. I have screen shots and proof of everything I have said in this review.
Very old and needs a lot of renovation. Beds looked good but the bathroom was disgusting. I did not stay and I doubt I'll get my money back. They were sold out and could not offer me another room. The owner has not reached out so he's probably dodging me. I've never left a room with out staying before and I've travelled budget lodgings since I was a little kid, over 50 yrs. I always try to see the positives but last night I was having to scrub the bathroom down just to go in there. It smelled like old urine with splatter on the floor. I started to clean and I thought' what the hell am I doing?' It was late and I was tired, so I packed back up and left. What a garbage dump place and maybe the owner lives in filth too so it seems normal.
We stayed there for 4 days for the Pro Bowl and Olympic Marathon Trials in early February. - The Room: The room at this property: one of the dirtiest experienced. Floor was dusty/dirty, bed headboard/table/bathroom door had splatter of stuff?, sheets were clean but thin that you could see mattress stains, got new hand towels since the ones in the room were stained, and clean extra blanket had cigarette burn holes. - Weird smell out of air conditioner or corner of the room started. We were laughing at how bad the room was. We could have asked for another room but the hotel was completely sold out, and other guests said their rooms were about the same. So, what was the point? - The Key Card: Every day, without fail, our keys would stop working, though we kept it away from our phone or other magnetic items. Staff never wondered/cared why it was happening daily. - Hotel location: Hotel is on the corner of 2 very busy and loud traffic areas. We felt safe walking/running around the neighborhood (we had no car). - The Breakfast: Weekday bfast was a bag of snacks. Weird, but okay. Weekend bfast, you needed a voucher from the front desk for bfast at the Chinese restaurant next to hotel. The food was not great; no other food in the area other than a WaWa down the street. - Good points: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. - Bottomline: this property is really tired & rooms not clean for the price & location. The staff were very friendly/helpful, but don't expect ‘going above and beyond.'
This was unfortunately my first experience with a Best Western property that fell below bare minimum expectations. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for so by no means was I expecting a modern, updated hotel however my room is EXTREMELY dirty, so much so I used some cleaning products that I had in my car to rewash the floors as my feet were black just from walking around the room bare foot. Other issues include the toilet not being properly fastened to the ground and the patio sliding door not locking. I requested a non smoking room however the hallways + my room are on the same level as a Vegas casino. I'm not certain on the hotels allocation of smoking vs non smoking rooms however it's common sense that you can't have both types of rooms next or across the hall from one another. On a lighter note, the staff was reasonably friendly and there was sufficient free parking. I liked the landscaping of the property and the coin operated laundry is quite handy and very much appreciated. If the operator plans to keep the property, it would be in their best interest to refresh all of the rooms with new paint, window coverings and flooring + make it a non smoking hotel. But that's just my two cents and the small business owner in me.
We had a great experience when we traveled to see the Marathon Trials. Super fast check-in. Arrived between 9-10pm. Called on the way and let the front desk know we would be arriving after 9pm. Room was very big, and we had lots of space to move around and not feel cramped. The fridge was huge and cold (not a tiny beverage fridge that never gets cold enough). The freezer section actually refroze my ice packs! And we had a microwave! So many hotel rooms don't have microwaves now. We also liked that we had two sinks, one inside and one outside the bathroom. The shower had hot water with lots of water pressure. Was it fancy and brand-new? No, but everything worked and was clean. The halls were clean. We didn't smell any smoke or anything weird. No one was loud or disturbed our stay or sleep at all. The area is fine. Is it the best area? No. Is it the worst area? No. We, two women, went for a run at 6am in the dark with no problems. We walked the 2+ miles to and from the trials again with no problems. For the price, we would definitely stay here again.
Horrible marijuana smell in the hallways during our entrre stay. Look elsewhere when staying in Orlando. Rooms were clean and fairly recently renovated, including the bathrooms. Such a shame that the marijuana smell was present every single night and would get into the roooms making sleeping very difficult.
I stayed at Best Western many times, I have never ever seen the filth, unprofessional staff and the most disgusting rooms like the hotel at Orlando West, FL. I will never stay there again. Not recommended.
It was a clean establishment however, (Chris the supposed manager) in particular has been very rude since staying at this establishment. They refuse to take reservations even when you tell them you don't care what the price is that they are establishing in the future. Last year we were able to make reservations in December for EDCo 2023 where they charged more than double what they usually do, which doesn't bother me other than the fact they tried to cancel my room when I checked in late before the rush even started the following day. There is absolutely no reason to not be able to book rooms for a year in advance and at least take a name and non refundable deposit. (Which they kept after they canceled my room.) Other than location there really is no reason to want to stay here. If you are even able to get a room good luck on keeping it, because these people are just a money hungry group that doesn't care about their customers or having repeat customers. The house keeping and maintenance staff was very kind, but all the management in this place needs to go.
We stayed here over the weekend and the Hotel exceeded our expectations! We loved our room as it was spacious, clean and well equipped. We had a large balcony facing the pool, and every staff member was super nice and helpful. The location was great and had free parking for our car. Will absolutely be back!!!
Everything was filthy upon check in, bed sheets, toilet tissue had feces and black stains in bathroom, the toilet flooded, the staff unconcerned gave me sheets to change bedding myself and gave me three rolls of tissue to replace the disgusting ones with feces on them. Finally Chris gave me another room which had the same problems flooded toilet. Staff gave me plunger to fix myself I was totally disgusted!! They said they have no staff and mgmt won't be in until the morning I called to Complain
Great location in proximity to the city and a very comfortable bed. Also allowed me travel with my cat, which was a major plus. The internet was also very fast! I was pleased with the connection speed. It does lock the back gate when it gets late and there's 2 layers of security.
This Best Western is the worst we have ever stayed in because of the filthy floors and overpowering scent of disinfectant. If the room had this smell, why wasn't it clean? The walls are thin and we could hear the people upstairs yelling at each other. Many parts of the room were in disrepair. We only were staying one night and had to go to an event soon after arriving, so we did not tell the staff.
We stayed here during our stay in Florida and were very happy with the Best Western, they even had a pool. This was a great value and highly recommended! Check-in was very easy and straightforward, as was checkout. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodated all of our requests.
Clean room except for coffee stains in the sink. Nice quality toilet paper. AC and smell were good. Bed was soft and comfortable. TV image/image was not terrible and could not be adjusted. Loud neighbors.
Made reservation for a room on first floor because my husband is disabled. Got there and room is on second floor and she won't change it. Now my husband can't walk upstairs and there is no elevator. But they still charged us for the room. We were evacuating from Tampa...stuck with no room.
I got to this hotel in the middle of a storm, and power was out. The lady that helped me check in was nice, and it went downhill from there. I got to the room, and I work in restoration so luckily I had a flashlight. First of all there was dried DOG POOP all over the floor. I was soaking wet after falling in their fountain that was dangerously close to the curb and completely impossible to see with the power off. When I got to the room dripping wet, I immediately noticed the dog poop that someone had stepped in and spread all over the floor. I was disgusted, but with the hurricane outside, and me dripping wet, I tried to clean the water and the poop up with a towel. The poop was so dried on that I couldn't get it to come up. Disgusted, but desperate I decided to check the bed for bugs. I didn't find bugs, but I found blood and curly hairs on the sheets. Had I not been soaking wet I would have slept in my truck. Instead I slept on top of the blankets, called my wife and cried myself to sleep. Woke up early, and because the shower was so gross, put on my wet clothes and went to the office. The owner was there and I told him about my experience. He immediately told me that what I was saying was impossible. We walked together to the room where I showed him the poop and the blood, and the nasty dirty chair, and the insanely gross shower. He then accused me of spreading the poop in the room basically calling me a liar. I didn't have a dog with me and I showed him my shoes to prove to him that I didn't have any poop on my shoes. We went back to the office, and had he offered at least a discount I would've been fine, but instead he yelled at me to get out of the hotel and then charged me anyway. I would give this less than one star if I could. I travel for business and this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in
Stay here to watch an Arsenal vs Chelsea game. Arsenal won 4 to 0. Yay Arsenal! So glad this hotel is a 20min walk from the Champion Stadium. The game was sold out so there was no way we could have catch an uber with 63,000 plus people. The hotel was clean, staff was super friendly and there is a Chinese restaurant attached with $4 soup. Can't beat this deal if you are in the vicinity to catch a game. Highly recommend it.
Stay away 1st pictures do not reflect actual property it is run down bullet proof glass can't get into lobby attendant was rude prostitutes roaming property that's as far as I got as the reservation I had couldn't be found and we left as I wouldn't give another cc. Called 800 and they sent us to another property
A comfortable and a pleasant place to stay, particularly for family vocation. There is clean swimming pool, entertainment room, conference room and it is very convenient to Tavel from this hotel to near by famous and interesting points such as Disney, sea world, and etc.
We did an overnight because of an event we were attending at the nearby Stadium. The rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable. Will stay again if we need something in that area. Try the restaurant next door - the food is great!
Cleanest hotel I have stayed recently, even the parking lot was clean! AC worked, room was clean, property looked well cared for, price was more than fair. My new go-to when doing business in Orlando.
Whenever I'm in the Orlando area I come stay here. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are large enough for you to sprawl out in. You don't feel like you're in a closet room like some of the other resort hotels.
Motel does not look like the photo on the website. The neighborhood did not look safe enough to walk through at night from the events at the stadium. There was a shuttle with a charge. They were in the process of remodeling some of the rooms but the rooms that were not being remodeled needed a deep clean. The price was spot on though. So your choice, price or cleanliness? No breakfast bar makes it a negative also. Full size beds, another negative. Price and location are the best things.
The staff is always friendly and the rooms are big compared to other hotel rooms ive stayed in. The bed is comfortable and I fall fast asleep. The hotel is conveniently located by I-4 so I can easily hop on and get to where I'm going.
Went to celebrate my birthday with family and go see Billy Joel at a venue close to hotel. Got there at around 3:00 was told we could check in within the next 15 minutes we wanted to freshen up before concert. The rooms were not available till 5:45 we checked in but didn't go to our rooms came back at mid note to a disgusting room that hadn't been clean we didn't even have soap! We were given 800 number to call to complain because there were so many people in the lobby complaining we missed our Uber! We called the 800 number we were offered a $25 gift card to stay at a best western, no thanks!
On the third night of our stay, my 11-year-old daughter and I were woken up at 2 am by people making extremely loud and indecent noises. And by loud, I mean really, really loud. I called the front desk; 20 minutes later this terrible racket was still going on. I called again; another 20 minutes went by and nothing changed. When I called the third time, the lady at the front desk was very rude and essentially told me that it was my problem if I could not put up with this kind of "conjugal" noise, as she put it. She argued that it was these people's rights, essentially, to make as much noise as they wanted. Unbelievable! The manager refused to refund the 3d night of my stay, though we slept very poorly (and had to move to another room in the middle of the night). I've always considered Best Western to be a family-friendly hotel... well, no more!
I couldn't wait to get back home to warn everyone about staying at this Best Western. We booked a non-smoking room. Our room was "non-smoking," but there were smoking rooms on one side and across the hall. Plus, the smell of marijuana was intense - in the room, in the hallway. We complained (the person behind the front desk said "What can you do, it's legal?") and got moved to another non-smoking room in a hall that was completely non-smoking. It was much better that day and night, but the next day it smelled strongly of marijuana too. In addition, even though there is a sheriff's department close by, the road outside the hotel was like a drag racetrack all night long.
Neighborhood isn't safe. Saw "deals" happening during the day in the guest parking lot, not safe. People that would appear to be street people wandering upstairs halls, not sure why.. Extremely loud, both the area, and other ?guests? only thing I didn't hear during my stay was gun fire. No reasonable restaurants nearby..
Very nice stay friendly other visitors was very nice also to us food right next door hair store family dollar phone store nail salon two of them hair salon gas everything with in 5mins walk if u don't want to go to far and looking to relax I would book here again I can't wait to come back
The experience was unforgettable in the worst ways. The service by the staff is off-putting, along with the rooms, and the area surrounding the hotel. Everything feels dirty as well, along with the fact that the beds were uncomfortable. Spend your money somewhere else and save yourself a bad memory.
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Easy check in/out. Room was clean and spacious. Disappointed that there was no breakfast nor onsite dining options. Facility appears to be pet-friendly, as I heard a few barking dogs.
Arrived from the U k after a 9 hour flight to be met by a charming man on reception, very smooth check in lovely room enjoyed relaxing round the pool Would definitely stay here again if visiting Orlando again.
I recently stayed the Best Western Orlando West and Maurice was very helpful. He even got my room ready a little early. Overall very friendly staff with answering questions. Bed was comfortable too. Will stay again.
This is my favorite place to stay when I'm in town visiting friends and family. It's just far away enough from the theme parks so I don't have to deal with that traffic, yet close enough so if I wanted to go, it's not too far of a drive. I especially loved how big their rooms are (that's a feature you wouldn't get at/close to, the theme parks).
My 3 night stay was about 125 a night with a small 12 year old pug. It was only a $10 a night fee to have a dog. I thought that wasn't to bad of a price. I reserved online with a balcony figured it would be on the second floor so I could go out on the balcony and sit outside and utilize the "smoking rooms" with my dog and not worry about someone trying to steal my dog. They gave me a downstairs room with a plan patio with no chairs!!! After the first night I got my $3.50 value worth snacks and water for their breakfast bag. 2nd day I go and try to get my bag and the lady went back to get the food and then came to tell me I was to late as it was 9:25am and put them back in the fridge. I had to argue with her, I came the same time yesterday and the male owner gave me my belongings and I went on my way with no issue. She called the owners and asked if I could have my granola bars and water, they told her to give it to me. After my 3rd night I got my bag of items from the male owner and as he was giving me my bag has was like your dog barks, the people beside you were complaining. I looked at him and said "oooh nooo" and then just walked away. "Best Western Orlando West offers 107 well-appointed rooms", there was 3 or 4 sections of the building plus it has two stories, why would you complain to your guest that paid for their nights with paying extra pet fees when you cram your 20 guest into a side by side room situation. You have many room opportunity to space me away from others as I'm the one paying the pet fee! The rooms don't get cleaned just organized for the next paying person. Long hair stuck in towels in the room, the bathroom had pubic hair on the toilet seat, small hairs around the outside of the tub and in the tub as well. The patio door was horrible, would only move if you force it and it would scrap along the bottom tracks. Didn't try the pool out as I was just frustrated with my whole experience at this stay. I would only come back if the prices matched the service, $40 bucks a night
This is one of the Best Western hotel we always choice to stay. Besides the excellent service and the excellent environment, it is very convenient from this hotel to visit interesting spots in Orlando at a short distance. There is a very good restaurant adjacent to this hotel for you to enjoy Asian cuisine.
We decided to stay at best western because the hotel from choice rewards was very terrible in every way! Not clean rooms, dirty carpet, refrigerator did not work. The pool needed cleaning and the pool area plus the hall ways!
Room are fine but double check your booking. The front desk claimed they didn't have our booking but pitched that they had one room left. Desperate, I needed a room and was charged more than my original reservation. Later on, I called booking.com and told me that yes my reservation still stands. It was a festival weekend so I can see why this property was looking to make more money. I had this reservation since April. On top of that, they have been dodging phone calls from booking.com to try and solve this matter. Very unprofessional.
It would've been nice if we could've enjoyed the beautiful pool. In fact, the entire time we stayed there I never saw anyone near the pool, which is a shame because it's actually the nicest part of the property and the entire reason I chose this particular hotel. Unfortunately we were to afraid to spend time on property with our children once we arrived and realized that this was a seedy motel. My husband went down to grab a bag that we had forgotten and not only was there a man sitting on the hood of our car, but he also offered to sell my husband a full menu of drugs including weed, cocaine, crack, or anything else he might need. -soft, hard, green, or whatever you want were the actual terms the salesman used as he relaxed on the hood of my car. When my husband politely refused and proceeded to retrieve the bag from our trunk, the man realized it was our vehicle he was using as an office so he was nice enough to offer a free sample. The next night when we returned for the night, there was, again, a back lot full of people drinking and buying/selling/doing drugs and also 2 "working girls." It was nuts. A total open air market. This property is surrounded by gates and all but one are closed and locked after dark so it's obvious that they have knowledge of what's going on there, yet they still have no night security. So if you're on an adult trip and looking to party, then this place is for you, but if you're traveling with children avoid it like the plague!
Booked a reservation a month in advance, even called to confirm reservation the day before for NONSMOKING double, when checking in, only room available was smoking double. Floor was full of dust, hair blower did not work.
Very convenient location. The receptionist and housekeeping lady were extremely friendly and nice. Great experience in Orlando. I can imagine my next stay in Orlando will be Best Western Orlando West!
Check in /out was great alomg with man who did it but didn't get connecting rooms as requested, nor the balcony as paid for. Not the greatest area, definitely smelled like weed inside and out. Shower was dirty with hair on wall. Never came in and cleaned our 2 rooms, or gave us new towels. Pool area great/relaxing but SUPER cold water and a vacuum was in deep end the entire time.
In the website or online the hotel looks nice and reviews seems fair. The exterior of the hotel was very nice. However the interior was Run down, the room was super hot and not pleasant at all. There was no elevators I originally book for 3 nights I had to check out the same night. Worst experience ever.
We had a inpatient medical procedure scheduled for Advent Hospital in Orlando in June. Doing our research on line we located the Best Western Orlando West within a reasonable distance from the hospital. Reservations were made. We arrived at the motel a few hours before check in time. Maurice was at the check-in counter and very graciously allowed us to check in early. He also called our room to make sure we were happy with our room accommodations. The room was clean, walls painted white with a nice king size bed, refrigerator, safe, microwave, and a large TV.. Vinyl floors, instead of carpets was definitely a plus. They also have a very nice pool area. For the price we were very well satisfied. If we need to return for further medical procedures we will stay here again.
The exterior of the motel was very nice. However the interior was not. Run down, but mostly clean. Public laundry space was unclean, scary looking. Upon check in I found hairs in the bed sheets, the shower and towels. When fresh towels were brought daily, hairs were found in them. I did report it and was told they would speak to housekeeping.
When I first pulled up and checked in I immediately thought I'd be booking a new hotel the next day so glad I didn't. I'm fairly certain this is a motel straight out of the 80's. But it's clean, comfy and has incredible staff. It's not the typical hotel I'd choose while traveling for work - but this lil gem has changed my mind.
Had a very enjoyable stay.I have been there before and always chose to stay there because of the location and the emendates. The service was also excellent and the convince of the restaurant on the property was good to be able to eat breakfast. There were other numerous restaurants convent to be able to eat as well.
We chose this motel because of it's proximity of the I-4. We had some trepidation about this motel because of some the reviews. While the motel is not in the best part of town, we did not experience any problems and felt safe. The grounds were well groomed, the room was clean, breakfast, while having a limited number of options, was sufficient..and in an interesting Chinese restaurant which had we had more time we would have come for dinner. The staff were very helpful.
I wasn't here long, but had a good experience. Staff was friendly. Although an older, not as updated hotel, it was still very clean and I had everything I needed. I thought the price was fair for the location and quality of the stay.
This is by far the worse BW we've stayed at. Everything was booked so we chose this off-side hotel in an impoverished area. The good things were decent decorative styling despite the cracked walls that disclose a seedy motel past. Microwave and large fridge. The bad things were many. The bathroom floor was sticky. Every area of the cheap, uncomfortable mattress creaked making it impossible to sleep. Super cheap mattress. Creaks horribly if you touch it with one finger. Will have to visit a doctor for my back for the first time ever. Toilet runs constantly, loudly. Hotel too cheap to fix it. We went to breakfast five minutes before closing and they denied us entry since it was included in our way over- priced room. Steer clear.
Check in was 4:00. We arrived after 4:00 and were told we would "have to be patient" because the rooms weren't ready. Odd because we hadn't said anything or planned to be inpatient. It took about 30 minutes to get a room after being sent to the wrong room. That was the first of a number of reasons I would not recommend staying here. We chose this hotel because of proximity to stadium and decent reviews.
Don't stay here period..... just ugh basically a motel or old apartment building.... seemed clean until I noticed a spider on my pillow! Never again... pay extra to stay elsewhere! Was close to Amway but screw that plus no shuttle service that's a lie has well... I'm tired of this review they need to close this MOTEL!
We came for Citrus Bowl. We chose for the location and ease to stadium. I almost cancelled on the way due to poor reviews. I am happy I did not. Hotel clean through out. Room was very pleasant, bed could be softer, but that is just me, my husband slept well. If I came to another game I would definitly stay here.
Never had a problem staying at any Best Western locations. The rooms are always clean and everything works. The staff is friendly and they always aim to please. We will most definitely be staying again.
Took players to NBA game, and was surprised to see how low quality the hotel was for a BW Rooms smelled Hallway smelled Two broken irons I would have made an issue, but did not stay long period in the room
- On edge of business area and residential area - Few choices to eat at within walking distance - About 25 minutes from Orlando International - Outside pool is well maintained - Breakfast (American) is in attached Asian restaurant. Made to order, small plate. No seconds. Can order extras for a cost. Expect to tip the server.
When you make reservations you might not get what you reserve first dirty never cleaned 2 room not a pool room 3rd was going to have to do but beds are very low end I don't believe floor was never cleaned
Stayed overnight because I had a conference Downtown and didn't want to pay Downtown hotel prices. Got this room less than 2 miles away for only $100 and figured it would do. Staff at the desk was friendly, but the room smelled so strongly of pot that I had to open the patio door and run the AC for an hour before it started to clear. There were two half-smoked blunts on the patio, along with a random baby sock. I went to dinner in a Uber, and the driver was afraid to drive around back to my room because she said it wasn't safe. While heading upstairs I noticed that dirty (or maybe clean?) linens are stored in the stairwell in a pile. Upside? Excellent water pressure in the shower and not a single bug in site. Those two are pretty awesome qualities, so at least there was that! I've stayed in a bunch of Best Westerns and it's always hit or miss, but I guess you get what you pay for.
The outside doesn't really look inviting but the rooms are at least clean. No USB ports and the restroom could use updating and perhaps regrouting?? Beds aren't as comfy as other locations we stayed at either. This location does not offer a hot breakfast buffet like at most other Best Western locations. Be prepared for a very limited menu selection with the voucher the hotel provides you with to go next door to the adjacent restaurant.
This hotel looks terrible, there were boxes items pile everywhere in the lobby area. The rooms are smelling bad, the curtains are dirty, and it is located in a unwelcome area. As soon as one walks in; it makes you feel unpleasant.
Very good location to the main hot spots, walking distance of the Magic Mall. Hotel were well lighted which made you feel very safe and secure. Lots of things to do in the immediate area food, shopping, sightseeing, etc.
Given this hotel is in a rough part of town, they clearly spent more time on photoshop for the google photos than actually cleaning or repairing the hotel. My room smelled like mold, the exterior doors were broken, hair on my shower walls and looked as if they fired the maintenance guy 10 years ago and forgot to hire a new one. The staff was friendly but corporate has some serious work to do to get this hotel back into shape.
My wife and I stayed here 1 night during our visit to Orlando for the Thomas Rhett concert. We chose to stay here because of its proximity to the Amway Center. This place is old and outdated. The musky and mildew smell was overwhelming. We've stayed at better places for half the price. We asked for 2 extra pillows when we made a reservation and again 1 week prior to our stay and needless to say, no extra pillows. Don't think you can charge your phones either because there are no USB ports to be found. When packing up the next morning, a roach ran out from under my suit case. To top it all off, I believe I was bitten by bed bugs on my arm. Stay here at your own risk.
This hotel very dirty, Chinese manager very nasty mean old man our room card didn't work most of the times doors are too old falling apart and he declined to give us another card or resolve the problem, hotel is no worth for price .terrible experience noise, smell like mold, very dirty and beds are old and uncomfortable
Construction workers ONLY...! Their companies will pay whatever for a write-off & amenities or looks don't matter. You will stay full without fixing anything. Don't let the occupancy numbers fool you. This is not a typical BW hotel. It's not even worth half of the booking price!
We stayed here 1 night. This hotel is much older. It stinks of smoke n it has very musky smell too! The hotel desk clerk Chris was awesome! He was friendly n helpful to us. He had a great attitude! For the room it was ok (old) needs to be updated for sure! The bed was hard n old too! The tv reception was a bit snowy so it was hard to watch tv at times. For food There's a Chinese restaurant on the premises that you eat at for breakfast for free n lunch n dinner for cost$ we didn't get to eat dinner there they were just closing when we got there so We ordered food from a restaurant n had it delivered. The breakfast food was ok.The coffee was very strong I couldn't drink it n I love my coffee! The service there was slow n sucked! We didn't stay long just to say. Positive side of things we did like the security of the grounds they have a gate they lock at night at 10!
Had problems checking in with the lady at the desk claiming we never paid when it had taken money out our accounts. Also called us children and was talking to a friend on Bluetooth the whole time. It was just horrible service
Stayed one night, July 6, 2019. They charged us for two nights on our Credit Card, while appearing to charge us for only one night on the hotel receipt... -Called the hotel 25Jul19 to get it resolved. Asked for them to check the charges, 'Chris' said they only charged for one night, and that they would send a copy of the receipt. They did not send it. Then we called our credit union, to verify the charges, which were indeed for 2 nights instead of 1. Now it has been referred to our CU Fraud Dept for investigation. -Don't stay there, they will rip you off.
Awesome front desk and my housekeeper Gennie is amazing and free breakfast waitress was so polite I love this bestwestern west colonial drive We kept the same room ..all room furniture is cherry oak and air conditioning is cool all night and everything is in its place I love the front desk staff so much Pool is clean and blue..lol The entire property is clean and gated with security cameras and hassle free to get the same room It our Anniversary hotel we love it Great price great location great staff
I loved this place. It is gorgeous on the inside. The customer service was excellent. The rooms were well decorated. The only thing I did not like was the smell of cigarettes in the non-smoking area. I preferred the breakfast over the usual continental.
Super CLEAN!!!! BIG rooms!!! breakfast included and great attitude And easy check out and check in. I was very surprised how nice and comfortable was the hotel. Perfect location because the greyhound bus station was one block away.
We checked into the hotel and the room was very spartan at best. The hallway was dirty and had trash in it. We chose not to stay there and went to another hotel. This hotel doesn't deserve to be affiliated with Best Western or any other chain.
Don't stay here if you can help it. The room is unclean, including the floor which hadn't been mopped in a noticeably long time, and the chair in the room had something spilled on it. The bed was not comfortable to sleep on (which is the minimum they should get right). On breakfast wasn't served by Best Western, it was outsourced to the restaurant next door.
My husband and I just stayed at this hotel for the second time. Our reason for choosing this location is because it is within walking distance of Camping World stadium and we did not want to deal with traffic when our event was over. The hotel itself is a perfectly fine basic hotel. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated, the pool is great and the staff is very nice. There is also a shuttle that will take you to the stadium at a charge of $5 each way if you do not want to walk. The downside to this hotel is that it is in a very questionable/undesirable area which is why I did not give it a higher overall rating. If I were to have booked this room for a week long vacation in Orlando, I would have been upset. I felt safe during our stay because the entire hotel was their for the same event so everyone was walking to and from the stadium at the same time. I would stay again for stadium events, but no other reason. One other thing to note, bring snacks with you for your room! There is nothing nearby and you will be happy to have them at night.
I do not understand why people are giving this place a bad rap. I stayed here during the Monster Jam World Finals and I was greeted by friendly staff everywhere I went. Jenny that was taking care of our room never hesitated when we needed something. The girls at the front counter were helpful and friendly. I was not impressed by the restaurant, they were shorthanded and it took a while to get our full order. They were friendly and tried there best to get it done. The building itself is a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. I had a room right on the pool deck and I went out to the pool several times. the pool area was nice as well. I will stay there again.
If you can remember the days of hotels and the quarter machine on the side of the bed well this place reminds me of that. Old old old old. Straight out of the horror movies or old drug movies. Spend the extra $20 and go to a nicer hotel
Stuff are very friendly and curtious, room and all around the property are very clean. Free breakfast is more than I expect. Check in and out is very timely. Lovely swimming pool. Will definite stay here again when we visit Orlando again in the future.
Never I have been i a worse hotel , sleeping on the street was a better choice ! . The room was old like in roman times, When I open the sheets of the bed is smels like somone has died and been there for weeks . The restaurant on the picktures is gone , breakfast was in the lobby and very poor . Also they charge my credit cart 2 times for the one night . This place must close ASAP ! . I got a lot of bites in my leg after sleeping there , see pickture !
Friendly staff, large rooms, big enough to sprawl out. I was pleasantly surprised by the room size and the amenities. The restaurant is a great addition to the property too. Loved the food! I'll be sure to come back soon.
This hotel is more like an old motel 6. I mean it really needs to be remodeled and updated. we stayed in a handicapped access room. Beds are old spring beds, shower and bath are old, the place is expensive for this kind of accommodation. it's like an old Days Inn dump. It was $112 for a realistic $59-$69 type of room.
Staff was courteous and very nice clean rooms. Breakfast was good and quick service. Liked the fact there were security gates and property was very well maintained. Would definitely plan another stay if ever in the area
Hallways by the vending machines were very dark and unsafe. At breakfast I just wanted a cup of coffee. The Manager told me to just go next door to the Cinese restaurant to get the coffee. Every other Best Western we stayed at always had coffee available in the lobby. When I got to the restaurant they informed me I had to have a voucher to get any coffee so back to the desk I went. Once there the Manager calls the restaurant and tells them they better not charge for a full breakfast since I only wanted coffee. I did not want to hear arguing I just wanted a simple cup of coffee. We will not stay at this location again. Having to get a voucher and go next door for breakfast is ridiculous.
Lobby smelled musty. Check in the key wasn't activated correctly so went all the way to room on 2nd floor just to have to come back to lobby and have them fix It . Not a big deal but It was an inconvenience since we were limited on time before we had to be somewhere .
Todd and Joslyn are some seriously awesome people. I was stuck in the lobby waiting on my colleagues to come for check in and they made sure that I was well taken care of and felt at home. Very funny and friendly people.
My fiance and I needed a place to stay last minute, and I'm so glad we chose this location. The room is typical but clean. The staff was very pleasant, and Melody helped us out and gave us some great suggestions. The hotel is located a few minutes from the downtown area which has a ton a great food and drink options. Overall a really stressful situation was turned into a good experience. Thanks!!
We have been Best Western members for over 10 yrs in fact we are Platinum members which tell you how many Best Western Hotels we have stayed at, I usually check out the reviews on all the Hotels on our trips to America but to our cost we did not check this one. This hotel falls well below the standard I have come to expect from Best Western :- 1 The reception staff that booked us in were off hand to say the least, the person on the front desk was moreinterested in answering the phone than giving us ay information about the hotel, we had to ak the Janitor were to get breakfast , by the wat it stated in the website the hotel has a breakfast room it does not Breakfast is taken in the ajoining Chinese restaurant. 2 To get your breakfast you have to obtain a token from the front desk which you presnt to the server in the Chinese restaurant which every morning smelt of last nights meals, the choise of menu is very restricted every morning my meal arrived served on a cold plate so the fod was cold before you finished eating. 3 This is a non smoking hotel but when I went out on the balcony I found a coffe cup full of cigarette butts this cup was still on the balcony when we left four (4) later, it was obvious that the rooms are not cleaned properly if they were then the balcony and the cigaretee butts would have be removed. The overall condition of this hotel is very poor and should not have Best Westerns name on it, avoid this hotel if possible
Did not realize how close to the magic mall and down town Orlando this location is. The area is a little unsettling but I was pleasantly surprised with the easy check in process because they were dealing with a disgruntled guest when I arrived. (The front desk host was new, she was nice.) Was taken back a bit when they needed our tag numbers because I only knew one at time of checking and when I called to give the other one was told it was ok they only needed to list one, so I did not see the purpose it just made me nervous that one of the cars might be towed. The room was nice and spacious! One key card stopped working while unloading the car. The cupboard was a little was a bit warped. The place in front of our room was like an automotive shop at the back was very loud for a while but it was nice and quiet when they left. The room did have a balcony but I think it might be better over the pool area. Did not get to stay for breakfast. I thought it was going to be continental style but on checkin she said we would just need to come get vouchers to eat at the restaurant next door. All in all a good overnight stay!
Very pleased with the service and cleaniness of room. The breakfast was good aswell. My room and stay was very pleasant, i would suggest anyone to stay there, its also close to local businesses and quiet
Wonderful front desk staff. Great free breakfast in the morning. Nice pool for sunning and swimming. Shuttle service to the Amway Center which was perfect! Will stay there again. Very helpful staff when I misplaced my phone charger.
The room was much nicer and cleaner than I could have asked for. The staff was kind and thoughtful. I was afraid the motel was too far away from the venue, but it was fine. I would definitely stay there again if i go to the Disney Theater.
The staff person who checked me in swiped my card several times. My room cost was $310...over the course of two days they held 4 differ amounts totaling over $500...after I checked out they charged another $200+ that I'm disputing right now.The staff doesn't know how to work their system.
I didn't like that its advertised as having free continental breakfast, but they only offer a voucher for the number of people you choose during your online reservation, and its sit and dine where you can only get one drink ( its 2$ for any additional drinks). And if your a person of color, Maurice (the guy that was at the front desk) needs to check if you are guest and how many people were in my room, when he didn't check the 3 other Caucasian people that were in front of me, in order to receive their breakfast vouchers. Due to this and the fact that the room wasn't the best and smelled like cigarettes, I would rate my hotel experience POOR. The hallway smelled like someone smoked a packed of cigarettes ( we were in a nonsmoking room) Good thing my sister had Febreze. Defiantly NOT worth the over 100$ paid.
This hotel has plastic up in the lobby window - the room air didn't work when i went to take a shower there was clothes from the last guest there! It did appear as they were trying to redo the hotel but man i can't take an unclean room! The beds were very hard.
The area was so bad. As soon as I got there I knew I should have went elsewhere. Was there with my family and honestly never even stayed the night. Ended up checkin out early after only a few hours. The location did not feel safe at all. Lots of loud people talking, could not rest. Definitely would not recommend at all especially if you are with your family. Way over priced cant believed I payed 110 to stay a few hours in this place!!!
Checked in told the lady i had 3 people an she said ok an i went to my room an i found a orange stain on my bed which means this place dont change their sheets disgusting so morning time hits and we go for breakfast an i have to pay for my 3rd person they said i never said there was 3 people when i most certainly did so that happened we go to breakfast an the food was burnt over cooked it was terrible
I stayed here two nights while in town for the Citrus Bowl on 1 Jan 2019. I could see the top of the stadium from my room. This facility met my expectations. It is not new, but it looked like it has had some renovations done to it recently. I requested a room with a balcony when making my reservation, and stayed on the second floor of the building nearest Tampa Avenue. Keep in mind that there in not an elevator if you have any physical limitations. I found everything to be as I expected for a hotel in this area and at this price. The staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful each time. The room was clean and everything functioned properly. The building is secured by key cards to enter, and the parking lot has a fence around the perimeter with two means of access. There is a Chinese restaurant next door that provides an American style breakfast for guests. Pick your voucher up at the front desk, you have four or five options to choose from, and it is very good. This hotel is located in a commercial business/residential area that some reviewers have termed "sketchy", but I never felt unsafe there. I walked the mile to the stadium, it was during daylight hours, and also spent time outside after dark along Colonial Drive and side streets and never felt concerned. Stay aware of your surroundings and you should not have any issues.
We took our adult son and his wife to the Citrus Bowl. I googled hotels closed to Camping World Stadium and Best Western Orlando West popped up. Although the hotel is not new, it was by far the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. The hotel was filled to capacity with Penn State and Kentucky fans and we all commented on this subject with no negative remarks. Our family decided this is the halfway Mark for future visits and this is the hotel we will stay at again. Thank you to the staff on every level for making our stay so nice.
This is a VERY basic motel. How Nothing fancy here. Room 216. If you are on the 2nd floor please note there is no elevator. The lobby smelled like mold. The rooms did not smell bad (though you could smell a heavy air freshener in the hallways. Not sure if that was disguising another scent??). They were in need of remodeling---especially the bathroom. I paid $155+ tax (this was the "PAY NOW" price which was cheaper!?) for this room and based on the neighborhood location and dated appearance--and some cleanliness issues, I was not happy. It's more like an $80/night motel. The sliding balcony door was difficult to close/lock (it was actually cracked open when we got in there). The balcony door did not slide easily on the track. The bathroom had moldy/dirty caulk around tub, the tiles inside the tub walls looked like they needed cleaning, a hair inside the tub, tissue holder falling apart. The tub wall looked like there could be some water damage behind it. The sheets and towels, while they was laundered, were dingy looking. The TV was grainy---not a crisp picture. The best thing about the room was the new vinyl/laminate flooring. The neighborhood was not one you would want to be walking around along or at night. Trip Advisor gave this hotel 3.5 stars??? I would give it a 2 to 2.5 stars at most. One reviewer used the word "ELEGANT" to describe this motel. This is far from reality and I have to wonder about such reviews!! We based the out-dated decor and bathroom when we considered how we would rate this motel. Close to highway so we heard road noise and a car alarm going off somewhere nearby. I think my rate of $155+ was inflated for the Citrus Bowl we were attending at Camping World Stadium. I would not stay here again.
After 10pm they close the lobby. FD was rude and grumpy. He didn't add my points to my rewards, never recognized me as a member and said that in order to have any discount/points I should go to a Best Western... (haha, was that a joke? no, was not) because that was a franchise. For me was clear that he had no idea of what he was talking about. very bad customer service comparing to the ones I'm used to! Would never come back and already contacted the central to have my points credited AT LEAST
Key Pass Cards either did not work, or worked poorly. The end door of the Hotel was left unlocked overnight (Severe Security Breach!). The Internet connection only worked intermittently. The hardwood floors are noisy. Outside noises were a problem as well. Breakfast was not as good as Best Western locations that have a Breakfast Buffet.
Booked here last minute for a two night stay. Arrived early to drop off bags and to our suprise our room was ready very early. Check in was easy. We were not offered any help to our rooms with our luggage and as we were the other end of the hotel it was quite a struggle. The rooms were dated but clean. The beds were comfy and we had a microwave and fridge. Breakfast was included. However it was nothing special very basic and not much choice. The pool had been closed for maintainance which I was not informed of when booking. However a staff member said I could use the pool at the comfort inn next door. I did this no problem. The following day our pool was open. The pool water was absolutely freezing so no one used it whilst I was there. Reception sells basics water, soft drinks, beers and a few microwave meals. The hotel advertises free shuttle buses however these leave at 8am. There was free internet and computers in reception along with free coffee. The staff were pleasant. Location was ok. If you just want a reasonably priced room to put your head down for the night it's adequate
Best Western Orlando West is in a great location to downtown. It's a very short ride to some great restaurants and night clubs. The pool was clean and breakfast was good. They have a very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Stayed for two nights. Our room was nothing fancy, but it was clean, and everything was in working order. Some have commented about the nasty neighborhood. It's not Rodeo Drive, but it's not the ghetto either, and I did not feel unsafe. The breakfast in the adjoining restaurant--which doubles as a Chinese restaurant in the evening--was well-prepared. It was well worth the $90 per night that we paid for a balcony room with two beds. I would recommend this hotel.
This was a lovely experience for anybody who wants to be in the downtown Orlando area. The hotel is simple it has hardwood floors it was clean and the use of the amenities was excellent. Housekeeping did a very good job breakfast is a hot fresh made-to-order meal. That certainly enhances the hotel. There is a lovely water fountain right up front there's a restaurant on the premises. So it's a very simple and elegant stay.
My wife and I stayed here for one night recently, the hotel is a bit tired could do with some updating. The area it's in seems to be a bit run down, we went out for a look around in the afternoon, within a hundred yards of the hotel we were approach twice by people asking for money a bit intimidating really, didn't feel very safe. On a good note the breakfast was good and served by a very nice friendly lady.
Not one of the newer properties, but the stay was comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly, both at check-in and check-out. Was a bit concerned at check-in when a group of approximately six college age couples finished checking in before me. I was expecting a noisy stay, but I was placed in another section away from the couples. Never had a problem with noise.
Comfortable stay, love the restaurant. Excellent food, love that there was a voucher for breakfast,. Make sure you receive one from the front desk. The restaurant staff were so nice and pleasant. Great atmosphere.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Did not check the Reviews as I am familiar with this hotel brand. One bed in our room was not made due to fact that my daughter left night shirt on bed and their policy is that they will not make up bed with any item of clothing on it!! Totally ridiculous and no sign posted in room about this policy. Also towels left on floor in bathroom & stain on sheets of made bed. Mark the front desk clerk could have cared less so I called Customer Relations and spoke to Jordan & Johnathan. They were very nice and called hotel. Spoke to Manager, Maurice and he did not argue as I had already reported them to Corporate. I received 1 night compensation. Hotel is in a high crime area. I do not recommend this hotel. Learned my lesson and I will check reviews from now on.
Despite the area, the overall maintenance of the property was well kept. The rooms were satisfactory for the price. I deal with 3 desk clerks during my 2 day stay and they were all equally rude. It felt as if any question, or check-in itself, was a bother. Not a greeting, hello, go to hell nothing without my initiation. The beacon was the sweet waitress that served the complimentary breakfast. Super sweet and lovely.
Stayed here for one night while in town for a game. The area is a little sketchy, but it's an easy uber to downtown stadiums. The place is much more rundown than the photos let on. It reminded me of a motel in a bad Vegas movie. The room was dirty (hairs in the bathroom, grungy shower) and in bad shape (outlets didn't work, chair was stained.) We considered cancelling our reservation, but the man in front of me at check-in was struggling to do so. The staff was nice enough, but you're on the hook for the room if you cancel with less than 24 hours. Since we were only staying the night and heading home early the next day, we decided to just go ahead with it. We slept on top of the covers and would not shower there. I wouldn't stay here again, and wouldn't recommend it. It's the kind of place I'd expect to pay $39/night on the side of the highway, not something that should be charging $100/night.
needed a place to stay close to a concert venue I was attending...and this BW was perfect....rooms nice, staff nice, pool nice.... and you got a voucher in the morning to go over to an attached restaurant for a breakfast that was included in the cost of the room...you got to pick from 4 styles....the area is sketchy....so when I got in late to check in (10:45pm) I had to check in at a window that reminded me like a drive-through bank :) .....anyhow...the 2 day stay was fab...and I'd go back!
Whenever I'm in Orlando I always stay at this BW. Close to restaurants, shopping center and sea world. Great cook to breakfast. Very clean rooms with wood floors no smelling carpet. Just a few blocks from camping world stadium and not to far from soccer stadium and basketball arena.
I was not happy with my stay. First of all the guy at check in was very rude, if I was to ask any questions he was rude about answering my question. He was not happy to be there and that's not my fault.
This hotel is not new, but has been remodeled and refurnished recently. The associated restaurant makes a great breakfast which is included in the price of the room. The lobby personal were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here because of the cost and the location near the Amway Center (we took uber to the event). The staff was friendly enough at check in and check out. We stayed on the 2nd floor but wasn't quite sure if there was an elevator or not but we just walked up the stairs. We only had overnight bags. The corridors heading to the rooms are very hot and muggy. The room was nice. I like how the room did not have a carpet floor. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. The shower tub could have used some updating but it was clean. The ac worked well, my friend said it woke her up a few times from being loud but it didn't bother me at all. I really likes how there was a sink in and outside the bathroom! I would stay here again if I had an event in DT Orlando.
before booking this hotel, I read quite a few, mostly bad reviews. because this was close to the amway center, I decided to take a chance. I agree this hotel isn't in the nicest location, but other than that, I felt perfectly safe there. the grounds are manicured and clean as was the rest of the hotel. this is not the Hilton, but it's nice enough for a couple of nights. we stayed in the second building, upstairs with a balcony overlooking the parking lot and a quiet residential area. I would suggest this option since it's quieter.
I need the restaurant to function till 11 pm or at least have room service and the room price should be affordable ... i hope there was a pick up and drop offf courtesy service , cause i arrive from MIiami through the Grey hound station in order to visit my daughter.
little black bugs flying in the room the noise of traffic and planes kept us up all night. this room was not worth the money. we were told when we booked that they would shuttle us to the amway center. when we got there the lady at the front desk said they wouldn't
If you blink, you'll drive by this place. But it's worth finding. Our room rate on a Saturday was just over $100. It included breakfast. And that was a FULL breakfast in a full service, attached restaurant. The place was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. We especially liked the room flooring... a sturdy hard wood type of stuff. Uber service in the area was very fast.
We stayed last weekend for the Jimmy Buffett/Eagles concert. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. We received a complimentary breakfast (though it wasn't the best as the kitchen is being remodeled and they were working on a hot plate) the service was incredibly good and the food was hot. The hotel staff was very accommodating/friendly and helpful in every way they could be. They have a deal with a shuttle service and arranged for transportation which takes you back and forth to the stadium for $10.00 per person round trip (Big shout out to Melbourne Transportation!). This all was a big plus for us as we were not familiar with the city and had no idea about getting to and from the show. We would stay there again when we are down that way again.
We went to the Buffett/Eagles concert there last night, we live an hour away but adult beverages were going to be consumed so we stayed the night. This hotel was among the closest so we booked with minimal research, glad we did. The rooms are fine, clean and comfortable. The owners couldn't have been nicer and provide a free breakfast at the restaurant next door. Full breakfast menu and the food was great. The place was only open for breakfast during renovations so I can't comment on the lunch or dinner aspect. Now here is the best part, a limo company (actually suv's) have a deal with the hotel. It's called Melbourne transportation and provide free service within a 3 mile radius with a charge for farther destinations. They do charge $5 pp, one way to and from the stadium, well worth every cent. It was cheaper than using the available parking unless you can pack your vehicle like a clown car and have a designated driver, the police presence at the venue was pretty heavy. We will be back to this best western.
Inoperative phone, no wake-up call, noise from street, poor check-in/check-out experience, inaccurate billing, over-priced at $107 per night. No self-serve breakfast, need to use a café with poor service, limited choices. Stay away! Food is no good & I had to wait 1 hour to order breakfast. They need more people to work in the restaurant. The air conditioner was very poor in the restaurant. The rooms need new mattress & need new pillows.
This property has a lot of guests and they are working constantly to keep it up. It's not perfect, but it is clean and the beds are comfortable. The parking is secure and the breakfast is actually cooked for you in the attached mini-restaurant. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful. The pool is popular with the kids, so screaming and yelling is the norm during the sunny part of the day if your balcony faces the pool. Only once, when it was very quiet at night did I hear the microwave sounds from the adjoining room, but it seemed to come from the door, not through the walls. Otherwise, I never heard any noises from other rooms. No bugs, no mold and a nice TV. I stayed six days and was very satisfied.
Not up to Best Western standards The service in the restaurant was adequate but they were understaffed. The food at breakfast was not very good. The slider in the room was drafty and the floor was cold.because there was no carpet. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The staff was gracious and supportive. However, breakfast was not the usual buffet. It was in a connected restaurant that was having a major remodel to the kitchen. Breakfast was good, however, if you didn't make it by 7:30, you could pretty much forget getting served. It was clean and probably a stellar Best Western about 20 years ago. However, as I stated before, staff was nice, it was clean, but not exactly what one would expect. The section of town in which it is located has gone downhill, I am thinking. Not scary, just not that great.
Had a three nights stay it's close to downtown and many shopping options, has coffee and bagel with brekkie I liked the hardwood decor and floors the decor in the hotel is very up to date and modern world stay again
Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was at the adjoining restaurant. It is under renovation but the food was good. Cooked to order- i like that better thsn buffet style. Would stay here again easily. Good value especially for Orlando
I Stood one night with my wife it was the worst experience ever it was nothing like I was Told over the phone I asked if the area was ok and their feed back was yes. I honestly felt like I was entering the twilight zone the hotel was dark very poor lighting all around the facility, inside & out the rugs look nasty Not! even vacuum the rooms were dirty, bathroom tub was filthy, it look more like a section 8 hotel shelter.......
My husband and I stayed here after attending the UFC fight. I normally choose a Hilton or Marriott, but The Best Western was convenient being so close to the Amway Center. Never Again!! The hotel is run down and old. We had what appeared to be a hooker, knock on our door at 2 am looking for a guy she visited the night before. The people in the room next to us had their rap music on blast all hours of the night. At 4am there was 2 girls having a very vocal confrontation outside of our door. The environment made me extremely uncomfortable. My husband wouldn't even let me walk to the vending machine alone. Just a piece of advice...spend a little more and stay somewhere else! I'm so glad I didn't have my kids with me, because its definitely not a kid friendly environment.
This hotel was just what were looking for. We were in town for a concert, we took an Uber Downtown just a couple of miles away. Quick and easy check in, SUPER CLEAN and updated room with hard wood floors through out. I found every person on staff from check in, maid services, to the grounds keeper and breakfast attendant to be friendly.
I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it was not a first class Hotel. This time, the place was gorgeous. The rooms totally remodeled and clean to perfection. The carpets replace with floors that are easily cleaned. A first class TV. A refrigerator that was new and quite large. A nice microwave. A spectacular shower. The lobby looked great. The grounds well groomed and everything worked. The pool and all of the tables and chairs were new. What a difference a couple of years can make WHEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT OWNERS. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT STAY.
Late night check in service was very poor and uncomfortable for us because of the clerk being rude. Room/property layout to get to your room is odd(certain areas get cut off then you must rewalk around entire property to go back), rooms were not very clean. floors were sticky and made our socks disgusting. A couple of our towels had stains on them. overall would not stay again, it's not worth the price at all. it's also located in a somewhat sketchy area. managed to get hilton hotels the rest of our trip and we were very happy with them.
I like the swimming pool area . The emplee are very polite . The location is very convenience to me . I can go to downtown in 5 minute and go to Disney Spring in 20 minutes. I like Asian market and it is so close.
This hotel is in a bad part of town that has few services in the area like restaurants. The staff is competent but unfriendly. The bathroom in our room was in desperate need of a paint job. The towels in huge bins at one of the entrance was distasteful. I'm stunned this Hotel is part of the Best Western chain.
This is possibly one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had... We stayed here for two nights and all we were looking for after a long journey was a clean bed and a hot shower. The room was very spacious, but filthy; there were blood stains on the bed sheets; towels looked and smelled disgusting and the bathroom was extremely unhygienic. Someone should alert hotel hygiene inspection about this place - it is just not fit for humans!
The hotel was good. The floor workers always made the room and kept it to our liking. The beds really did suck and the hotel was a little outdated. Some of the front desk staff were nice while others were just rude. The overall stay was average
Not at all recommended. Refrigerator was not working. Breakfast was nightmare. Upon asking to replace the refrigerator, we were thretened to check out night at 10 PM. No staff. Shortage of supply. Shortage of staff.
Nice place to stay close to downtown. It's a short uber drive from downtown. Good restaurants and entertainment downtown. Parking was good at hotel but, downtown was a little tougher and they charge for anything we found. We were there for a sports event so, it was a short trip for us. The staff was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our weekend stay and would recommend the hotel.
Though it was a bit further from the airport than I wanted, It was a nice place Had a good ADA bathroom for me to use as I am disabled. Next time i will stay closer to MCO, so the drive wont be so far away.
Overall it was a decent place. We were grateful to have found a room to stay in last minute. The check in Lady was not very friendly at all. Poor attitude - like we were interrupting her day. But checkout was great.
This hotel is in a bit of a rough area of town but don't let that stop you...very clean, secure, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was very good...regular restaurant with about 6 choices of which breakfast you want to order. Be sure you ask for a smoke free room, this hotel has rooms where smoking is allowed so if that isn't pleasant...just be forewarned.
Prisoners have better accommodations. Service, cleanliness, value and SAFETY all far below hotel standards. Hotel staff should have involved police sooner for a drunk guest who ranted loudly for at least 4 hours.
We needed a hotel room for 3 nights around Thanksgiving. This was the only half decent place that we could get because there was a big football game Friday night. Not really close to Oviedo, where we needed to be. Nothing around hotel, no restaurants nearby. Room seemed clean, but had a smell of urine in the main area, not the bathroom. I opened a packet of coffee to mask the smell.
Discovered mold in room on ceiling, the hotel overall is very old looking, rooms are modern but bathrooms are so small, the location is pretty shady, would like to have seen security at night, the breakfast area was very old looking and need to offer a breakfast buffet and stay consistent with other BWs.
I've stayed here twice in the past 2 months because it's close to where I had business. It's probably the best value for your money in the central Orlando area. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Grace, the night desk clerk, gave me some of her own tea. And Maurice, the day person, actually drove me to my appointment when I couldn't get a taxi. Other pros: full breakfast included, hotel feels secure.
This hotel is located in an extremely dangerous area of Orlando, there was a shooting across the street and someone died. The GM did not want to honor my AAA discount and was extremely rude, condescending and unprofessional. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free.
The shower handle broke off and management could not fix it in timely manner. They also did not want to change us to a room with a working shower we had to argue and make a fuss it was only when a large group of outer towners arrived did they change there mind because they did not want us to continue arguing. It was our anniversary and they made my fiancé cry it was a bad experience
Friendly staff, clean rooms, and overall great stay. My room was huge, bigger than my whole apartmen. Though on a busy street, I was able to get a good nights sleep. I am a very light sleeper. Will stay again!
if you stay here keep your shoes on or your feet will be filthy, the hotel seems to care but they never get around to fixing any problems in your room, I stayed there 5 nights and couldn't get a remote control to the TELEVISION that would even work, the restaurant is not language (PROFANITY) friendly for childern
Hotel was OK... other than the musty, moldy odor in the room. this is very stupid..why do i need to have so many letters to say the room was STINKY!. just bring room freshener sray with youhfhgjfjfffuytylj
THE SO DIRTY HOTEL, when I enter the room - a lot of damp and mold - the sheets were one with black spots and the other bed with yellow spots - in general very dirty and disgusting - I called Expedia and canceled the reservation at the moment - Do not stay at this hotel - You will waste your money and time.
The Best Western Orlando West was an ideal place for us to stay. The location was perfect for access to everything we required. The hotel property is very well maintained and the roomservice are immaculate. The staff is very friendly.
We left the hotel as soon as we saw the rooms. The bed sheets were disgusting, they obviously weren't changed from the previous guest. The hotel smelled horrible. And the staff were rude. I don't recommend anyone to stay here.
A great place to stay. Staff and owners are very friendly helpful and accommodating. Great pool area! Hotel is super clean and very well maintained. Service at the lounge bar is very good and great prices.Have been staying here for the past 30 years and hope to continue doing so for many more years to come.
The staff is excellent and the stay is pleasant always very friendly well maintained building always get a good nights sleep. Breakfast is always hot and well cooked with care. Coffee is excellent and they constantly strive to improve
We were hesitant about choosing this site to begin with, after reading the reviews online. We were however, pleasantly surprised. We now wonder if we were staying at the same place. From Check-In to Check-Out, our stay was stellar. The Host who checked us in, was exceptionally helpful. The rooms were very clean, and quiet. We were told we could receive a voucher for a full breakfast the next morning. We picked up our voucher, walked across the parking lot to a restaurant where a great waitress greeted us and took our order. The food was wonderful and the service could not be better. We will certainly stay there again, if the opportunity ever arises. Ron and Judy, Pensacola, FL.
Terrible check in (more than an hour) Bad smell in the room. Dirty floor. Dirty towels in aisles. Dirty bed sheets and pillows. Sticky pillows. Breakfast just ok however the hotel was full and they did not refilled on time
We decided to move up to Orlando when Hurricane Irma was approaching to save my family having to try and get us to Orlando Airport nearer the time. It was hard to find hotels at this time - they were getting booked up quickly and choices were diminishing by the minute. So when I found a room here, decided to take it as have stayed in Best Westerns before and found them ok. Had to amend the booking as we decided to move from Melbourne earlier than expected and was panicking when Brian said he had no record of a booking at all. But it was soon sorted and an extra day added. It was a solidly built hotel, just 2 floors and we hoped it would provide good shelter from Irma. The staff here were wonderful. Brian, Doug and Mark, Cindy and Beth, Roger and Michael (and others whose names we don't know) - thank you for being fabulous in such a difficult time. The hotel room was spacious, 2 comfy beds, big TV and fridge and microwave, good air conditioning and coffee maker with supplies replaced every day. Housekeeping checked every day to see if we needed anything. Was told the flooring was all new and carpets in hallways were also new - liked that the rooms did not have carpets. Great pool, with nice furniture outside as well. Breakfast was included which was a bonus and was really good, with various options available and coffee and juice. Celebrity Lounge drinks bar on the premises where we had a few drinks with new friends. For those with any animals the hotel is pet friendly which was no doubt a relief for those Florida residents seeking shelter from the storm. Wifi was excellent as well. There were some problems when Irma showed up, power was lost and it became a stressful time but the staff remained calm and the hotel did indeed keep us safe for which we are extremely grateful. We left a day earlier than planned as we still had no power and we wanted to get closer still to the airport so got my family to organise a move as they still had power and internet. When power was restored, it did not come back in our room so in hindsight it was the best decision for us. We had a good time here despite the circumstances and met some lovely people both staff and other guests, who were also so helpful and pleasant and looked after us - we are so appreciative of the help received. Would be lovely to return one day and I hope we will Many thanks to all from Linsey and Richard from the UK
We are still here and waiting to leave. Bathroom grout moldy and floor stained. Room smells musky and AC filter is horrific. AC sounds like a jet propulsion engine. Neighborhood does not feel safe. Very busy, loud street. It's close to the Mexican Consulate and we have business there. That is the only good point. Very very old and rundown. The online picture is a fantasy!!!!
Hotel is old and needs updates however, staff was friendly, and had shuttles ready to take us back and forth to Camping World. Hotel was clean inside of the room but smelled in hallways. Safe and did the trick for one night.
Older Hotel smelled broken running commode people hanging clothes on make shift clothes lines off balcony. Bathroom stained black dirt. Bed hard. Mix match furniture.Rushing you to check out when no one was even checking in. 6 cars in parking lot. not what I expected from a BW chain at all.
The hotel did not seem to be as nice as the picture. The hallways were not air conditioned and smelled. The room smelled musky. The grout in the bathroom was not cleaned very well. The breakfast was very good and the waitress and cook were exceptional.
We have enjoyed the atmosphere of the Hotel before Our Experience was even more enhanced by the locality of our movements. Overall the courtesy of Service made us feel so comfortable We feel as well We were at Our Home. Definitely a 5-star Event & We recommend the West Experience to All venturing into the Area.
Stayed here for three nights on our roadtrip along the east coast and must say it was one of the cleanest and best hotels we came across. The staff of the hotel was very caring and gave us some great tips for our stay in Orlando. The breakfast was good and also the restaurant staff took really good care of their costumers. You felt warmly welcomed every morning! Also big PLUS for not having carpets in the rooms! :-)
Everything was great at this hotel, room was clean, and staff very nice, I enjoyed my stay, and the price was reasonable, a special bonus is that you get free breakfast ad it made to order right there on property.
Everything was great, I had accidentally double booked but with the receptionist's help, one was canceled. Later I unfortunately lost my phone and received all the help I need to find it. Rooms are clean and everything works fine.
Close to stadium, but was advised not to walk back at night because the area was dangerous by check in staff. Room was good for a 3 star hotel. Had homeless begging for money in the parking lot which wasn't pleasant. Dud not report to staff, so not sure if a security guard was on duty or if staff would've handled it.
As we went to check saw a man urinating on a wall. People in the parking lot hanging out kind unpleasing when you have kids. Ok hotel for contract workers. Not for a family. The price (poits) way too much for the area and the hotel itself
Got there 12:22am on Tues 6/14. Check in was very easy. Clerk on duty (Mark) was very courteous and helpful. Very large room and clean, because I always inspect everything. Comfortable bed. Their own Restaurant for breakfast on premises was very good before check out. I would visit again. We were passing through on our way to Louisiana.
Kind of a old hotel rooms tiles and floor and closet's in very bad condition. No good restaurants in area very shady people walking around at night did feel safe leaving my car. I was told drug area very close by owners our old didn't seem to care about property from re-overgrown not very good Wednesday again
This is the worst Best Western I've stayed at by far. Room floors were dirty and sticky horrible smell fridge smelled like beer and didn't even get cold internet didn't work properly dirty bed sheets overall worst
The vents on the bathroom wall was filthy, the AC was broken (knobs), The bed linen was old, the wash clothrd were torn, the shower curtains was filthy, the wall around the light switch was dirty, the floors were not mopped and cleaned. The owners of the hotel was very rude, you had to eat at the restaurant that they provided tickets for, you couldn't order your food to go, breath fixed for children tickets only provide them with one pancake and one bacon for an 11 and 12-year-old kid. The headboards had not been wiped down and Lord knows how long.. mold was behind the wall around the tub granite. Over all updating.. no elevators, no air conditioning in the hallway you had to carry your luggage upstairs, the vending machines took your money and the front desk didn't want to reimburse the money lost in the vending machines. Sink was stopped up & hair dry didn't work properly
Great clean place to stay and the best hotel breakfast! Love the fact our room has laminet floors (no dirty carpet). Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. This was our second stay and won't be our last. Close enough to the theme parks and very close to the Amway center.
Wonderful experience; room was very clean and appeared to be recently painted; loved the hardwood flooring! Great breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was also very quiet. Would definitely stay again at this Best Western.
The hotel is located in a very depressed neighborhood. I was uncomfortable with a ground floor room and was provided a room on the 2nd floor. The hotel is nice and the attached restaurant made my stay very good. I wouldn't recommend going to any of the local establishments(other than the attached restaurants) after sunset.
I was a little concerned with the neighbourhood initially but noticed things are well kept, lit up and locked. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Everything works and a good breakfast is provided. Not the usual but an actual hot breakfast with several choices. Internet works and they have a pool. Price is right and not far to many of the attraction if you have a vehicle rented. 10-15 minutes to Universal. I used this hotel to visit State Parks to the North.
Nice hotel but but the area a little too expensive. I had no problem, the room was clean. The wood floors were amazing, i hate hotels with the germ infested carpets. I would stay again. The happy hour at the pools lounge was also amazing. They bartender was so helpful and friendly.
The room was very spacious (King with Executive desk), it also had a fridge and microwave. Newly renovated and loved the flooring, no carpet is a huge plus. The cooked to order breakfast was very good and was included with the stay. The pool area was clean and quiet when we used it. I would stay again and recommend this hotel to friends. The rooms at the back are very quiet and tons of parking back there. Lots of food choices (chains) about 3 miles down the road.
My room was good very happy with that. The hallway smelled like marijuana and i was with my child so having him smell and inhale dope was not on my itinarary. Also a shuttle service tried to hustle me into using there service at the hotel saying if i went out at night id have to fight for a parking spot. I should not have to pay for a hotel room and fight for a parking spot, this was not the case the service was trying to husle Money outnof me and the hotel staff allowed the man to do this
The hotel is an excellent place to stay. the price was great, rooms were very, very, very clean. Hardwood floors. There were no odors in the room. The restaurant and lounge are very clean. The breakfast was not your usual serve yourself, the was cooked to order with excellent selection, it was free for guest.
Considering the many hotels in the area the price is reasonable and the room is clean. However it does not offer a microwave or fridge which is a bit aggravating when you are trying to cut corners. The beds were reasonably comfy and the service was good
Clean, very BASIC room ... handicap accessible....new flooring in room & bath very nice .....2 queen beds, adequate towels ... no information at check in regarding the "amenities" like rules for .pool, breakfast.....had to call & ask....only 2 outlets to charge phone/ tablet ....1 was in the bathroom !
The hotel was clean and cozy. The employees were extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is the best choice in Orlando. I enjoyed a lot my stay there and will definitely recommend to all my friends that plan to travel in Orlando.
This is a terrible area to stay! We did not feel safe with only a chain on the door! Two double beds... One gave me a back ache! My daughter and grandson used the other. She was laying on the bed and when my grandson plopped down she was tossed almost off the bed! It was an accessable room that was mostly usable but there was black mold on the bathroom wall!!! It was late and I was just too tired to drive any further or we would have left!!!!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!
Very nice inside and out staff is amazing always keeping up the rooms are nice breakfast was offered we stay here each time we go the fairgrounds for and event such as edbd or kinkfest and it's super inexpensive
Service from front desk was exceptionally wonderful as I am disabled and they helped me to check in and check out, especially in handling of luggage from and to my car. Only disappointment was the opening time of coffee shop (7:00 am vs 6:00 am), but I did locate an IHOP restaurant that was open.
I been there for a few days, every thing was very nice, the room, the stuff, the food, the service. It is value of money. I got an upgrade from room to suite I see this nice from the friendly stuff. You can enjoy there. Also the location is very good.
Wasn't sure what to expect. Was surprised with how nice both room was as well as front desk. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Maybe not so attractive from outside but rooms are very roomy. Did not go to pool.
We were needing a room on short notice due to hurricane Matthew. I looked at Best Western.com and found three hotels. This suited us. The exterior and lobby are somewhat dated from the sixties. For me that was the charm. The rooms have been recently renovated and hall carpet appears very new. Our room was very clean. I applaud the staff in making the place nice since many staff were unable to come in due to the hurricane. Personally, I would not use the cocktail lounge. I peeked in and there was fresh cigarette smoke.
This is an excellent hotel with great owners and staff Amenities, especially the pool are great and located near grocery and other shopping stores Great place for relaxing and enjoying your time in Orlando
Lovely room decor recently upgraded. Love the tile floors that look like wood, but they weren't swept and mopped. New granite counter tops, large refrig. microwave, iron and full size ironing board. Beautiful native plants surrounding the grounds. Love that it was only two floors. Outstanding hot breakfast friendly waitress. We had 5 rooms, all were pleased and I would stay again. We attended a family funeral
If you looking for a great hotel for a great price. I recommend you stay here. Its very convent to shopping plaza. You can just relax and no worries. If you need any thing just ask front desk they will try their best to get you what you need or send you in the right direction.
This is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed in. As soon as you open the door you smell wet rot, mold, mildew. The ceiling had obvious water damage and mold. Everything in the room was wet. The towels, sheets, and pillows were damp to the touch. I plugged my phone in to charge overnight, the next morning the back of the phone was wet. I left my canvas tote bag in the room for the day, it was wet, not damp, WET when I returned. Also, the shower did not work properly. The circular dial could only be adjusted in quarter turn increments. The water choices were cold, cold, room temperature, and slightly warm. My husband and I were able to make due on the warmest setting but my grade school age child was completely chilled. There was no vent/fan in the bathroom. I visit Orlando frequently - I will never stay at this hotel again and I will not refer anyone to it.
The desk clerk was very unfriendly & quite unwelcoming. Room was very smelling and need to be clean, the cheap pillow smell terrible that can sleep that night, this is worst and most terrible hotel ever stay. Breakfast was nasty. STAY WAY FROM THE HOTEL.
Stayed here for a football game. Mile or so walk straight to stadium. Clean rooms -older property kind of old side of town. Nice fence al the way around. Safe walk to stadium. WE would stay again for events at citrus bowl. Good value. Nice pool area .clean property ,
Having stayed at this hotel before we booked because it had always been good. Now that it has been updated it's even better. All the amenities are new, fresh and attractive. The staff continues to be helpful and always there for you. I will definitely continue to use this hotel.
Our hotel room was super clean, I love that. The linens were clean and bed & pillows were really comphy. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fridge & microwave in the room. Very close to the Citrus bowl.
hotel, swimming pool, room all were very clean well kept. staff was very helpful. will stay again; resturant was not as good as expected, but for the free breakfast that they offered for hotel guests it was ok. went the orlando with 5 other woman to bowl and we all liked and will return to this hotel for next tournament .
By far the best hotel we've stayed at!!!! The lady at front desk absolutely friendly staff so friendly and helpful!! Finally a hotel with the pool and pool area beautiful And in the shower they have dispensers for soap and shampoo on wall amazing
Best Western Orlando West is in the West Colonial Drive, I like their room style, neat and clean, with the floor tile instead of carpet. There are some good restaurant nearby, at the same Colonial Drive, Chinese and Vietnamese. There is pool, which I haven't had a chance to utilize it because my tight schedule during my stay there.
This hotel is very cheaply made, they barely meet the standards that other Best Western hotels that we have stayed this past 2 weeks have. The only thing that was OK was the breakfast. The staff, the pizza boxes left in hallway all night & morning, no clock in bedroom, creaky elevator. We would not recommend this hotel.
Property was pleasing to see as you arrive, easy access. although hotel is not new, it has been upgraded and kept very well. It has easy access to many attractions in the area, all of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful.
While the location is probably not ideal for most visitors & the exterior looks slightly dated, the interior and amenities are kept very clean and up to date. The staff was very helpful when I had any questions or concerns. Going back to the location for just a second, it is very close to I4 wich is convinent and there are lots of things nearby. I came down for the week to visit my brother, so it was nice to be able to walk to various different places within a reasonable distance. Overall the room had everything I needed for the stay and I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area!
The Staff was very Help full.. especially the front Desk... he was very patient with helping my Granddaughter get wi fi on her phone,,, that is very important to a teenager. Also with advising us on place to eat and directions... I would stay there on my next trip..
When you see this place, your primary concern is probably its locations It is right next to an exit off I-4, which is extremely convenient. Unfortunately, this is not the best part of Orlando by any stretch, and that might put you off. But the grounds are fenced and guarded, and inside everything is perfectly fine and safe. They have a large courtyard with pool. Despite being next to the highway, its not noisy. Rooms are large and comfortable with everything you could want in a motel. Best of all - and perhaps because of the location - its dirt cheap at about $50 per night.
Nicely run hotel. Ample of parking spaces. Convenient location to downtown & local business areas. Complementary cook to order breakfast is unique to other hotels. Front desk is very courteous and accommodating.
May 2016 The good news is, should you be a cigarette or cigar smoker, this location has rooms for the smokers. The bad news is the room was somewhat dirty (mirrors, tv, sliding glass door) plus the coffee pot had the wrong sized slide in filter holder, so you couldn't make coffee. When this reported to the front desk, they were not concerned whatsoever. So you decide if you want to stay there. Oh, not the best area of town.
Not easy to find, but a great value - older hotel, but rooms are obviously new and indoor hall helps too. Staff was great and check in and out was very quick - did not use the pool, but it looked great. I dont usually notice landscaping, but it was very well maintained.
Over the years, I've stayed on this property multiple times. The staff is very accommodating to make your stay pleasant. All the room have been recently renovated with new furnishings. The landscaping outside is always maintained.
Even though the hotel doesn't look to be updated from the outside, it's super clean in the rooms. You'll have everything you need for a stay, long or short - fridge, microwave, coffee, etc... Saves you some cash on eating out when traveling!
excellent price. close to Citrus Ball, convenient to downtown Orlando and Theme park. Very satisfy with my stay. nice size pool. front desk are very profesional, friendly and helpful. Will stay there again and recomend to friends. Nice job. Thanks
We recently stayed at the Best Western Orlando West to attend an event at the near by Amway Center. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. You receive tickets for breakfast at the little diner next door which was very good! The room was clean, well equipped and bright. Loved having the free wi-fi and the wood floors were a very pleasant surprise. This is something more hotels should do. The only problem was that the handicapped parking space was so poor marked that people without the proper parking permits took the space.
Hotel was clean, staff is friendly. This hotel is minutes away from downtown for half the cost of hotels that are a little closer. The room had wood floors which was nice, because hotel carpet can be gross sometimes. I found the room to be clean and the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. They offer free internet and each room is equipped with a small fridge. I have stayed here three nights in the last two months and I will be staying again as needed in the future.
Hotel clean and affordable; Hard wood Floors were new and immaculate; Meeting room new and seating chairs comfortable. Environment friendly, safe, and vacation like tropical atmosphere. ;This is one of my favorite hotels in the Orlando area.
This property is not for business travelers. The rooms do not lend themselves to the needs of a business traveler. It was also hit or miss with the coffee service. This property is fine for families on vacation but not at all for business travelers.
Very clean, comfortable bed, wood floor nice touch. Grounds and lobby are dated, need improvement, and neighborhood is not good. Seems to attract a lot of smokers, and there was a noisy tractor trailer truck at one end running its engine.
great & Excellent Hotel & Restaurant Ever Find from My Trips and From Date Check-in until day Where I Leave Feel As home Sweet & Warm my Heart. here got to Thanks Who's the Management done such great Jobs !
It's always a pleasure to stay at Best Western Orlando West. The accommodations are above expectation, the staff is always eager to assist, and the conditions are excellent. It's also within close proximity to food, and entertainment. I would gladly recommend this hotel to family, friends, and coworkers.
I didn't lik the fact the hotel did not have a restuarant. While booking I had the feeling this service was also offered. Also, found the bathroom not as clean as expected. Long hairs in the towels which is always unpleasant. Maybe the previous experience I have in different Best Western Hotels broke all my expectations this time.
I will agree that the staff are very nice and the hotel itself is adequate. However, this hotel is located in a terrible neighborhood. There is a lot of foot traffic and there are large gates and bars around the hotel. However, the gates and bars don't make you feel safe. We used the room to change and did not sleep there. We were extremely disappointed that this is what would would get when paying over 100 dollars a night for a room with best western. Don't stay here.
Nothing good about this place. Located in a nasty part of town. So bad that the complex is gated at night. Just do not go there. There is nothing more I can say but I have to write at least 200 characters otherwise I can not post this.
This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. The location was good but once I got there I noticed a couple of things that I didn't like. The room has a front glass sliding door which made me feel unsafe. I called the front desk to request the wifi password and they took forever to pick up the phone and the worst part of the stay was when I woke up the next day I noticed I had BEDBUG BITES??
It is in a really bad neighborhood even though the police department is one block away. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. I had used a free voucher from BW and this was close to the AMWAY Center (where were attending an event) but was certainly disappointed in the location.
We only stayed one night. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff members were pleasant and accommodating to our requests and inquiries. The breakfast choices were surprising and the portions were enough for two. We would definitely stay there again.
Stayed for one night. The price was okay. Check In was smooth and the housekeeping was very friendly. Props to them! Problem was that they didn't inform me that they wil block the money on my credit card. We paid cash and the money stayed blocked for more than a week. It would be appreciated if you let your customer know that you will block the money on the credit card. People outside of US might not know that you will do that. While visiting US we stayed in 6 different hotels and i had the same problem in one another hotel as well. Rated them with 2 stars but i will give 3 to best western because of their friendly housekeepers!
This hotel is not in the best neighbourhood. Room is obviously not clean, hairs on bed, dirt on walls and doors. Noice from neighbours. I'd pick another hotel. There is free WiFi, a fridge in room and a small pool. Room is Large, reception not overly friendly.
We chose this because it was halfway between two relatives' houses and it was very affordable at $80/night. The hotel is a motel style with a fence around the property and locked hallways. The immediate neighborhood is commercial with car dealerships etc. We had no issues with it. At check-in we were given vouchers for breakfast at the attached restaurant (read the fine print as to what is included -- eg coffee OR OJ but not both) Our first morning it was a good experience. The second morning the service was challenged, but it worked out. It was nice to have a cooked- to-order breakfast.
clean room, comfortable bed, soft towels, helpful, pleasant staff, the right location, free WiFi for a very reasonable price. It was not as posh as many Best Westerns but it was also much more reasonably priced than most Best Westerns. The floor was tiled rather than carpeted which gave it a bare look but it is much better for our pet allergies. We were looking for a cheap but comfortable one night stay and we found it.
We are fans of Best Western so expected better. We were traveling and looking forward to a good night's sleep. But no. First roaring engines and motorcycles from business next to our room. That seemed to calm down by 11 but then people checked into the room above us. OMG. Thumping and banging. The ceiling shook. Had to call front desk multiple times. There approach was to call tgem and ask them toquiet down. That obviously wasnt working. The noise mostly calmed down around 12:30 except for the occasional thump just as we were drifting off. Ok. So sleep was a bust. At least they offered a sit down breakfast. I can't even begin to explain the awful service. The manager told us to be seated. Then forgot we were there. Had to go tell him. He said he forgot. The food was fine except it came in shifts. Eggs and bacon with no toast. Oops forgot. I'll make the whole wheat toast now. Somehow it turned into white toast between the toaster and my plate. Had to ask for silverware. Asked for water twice. I could go on but this is enough. Lots of we are sorrys. They said it was all because they had been really busy earlier. Just don't go there.
Clean, spacious, hot and made to order breakfast, nice staff, and all for a great price! Close by to many other restaurants too! :) Good TV and channels in my room and new furniture and a new fridge. I had a pleasant stay. They had toothpaste too (I forgot mine), at the front desk.
Recently stayed here as part of a work trip. The hotel is easy enough to find it is right off a main roadway and close to the Sheriff's Office, in a business district part of town. For a heads up, it is NOT the best part of town to be in. Check in was easy enough, staff was friendly. The lobby is very small and old. They gave us a voucher for the lounge that is attached/next door for a BOGO drink (we didn't use it). They also told us if we wanted breakfast to check with them in the morning. They gave us a voucher for a free breakfast at the attached restaurant . It came with a choice of like 5 or 6 different menu items. We got there right after 7 am 2 of the mornings we stayed. Service was quick, but the food was only average. You have to go outside to get to the rooms, but the doors were interior, be careful of the stairs they were sort of marble like, with skid strips, but still felt a little unsteady. There is an outdoor pool, but was to cold on the days we stayed to use. We were on the 2nd floor. The room was a good size, there was laminate wood floors not carpet, easier to clean not sure how it was for anyone staying on the 1st floor. There was 2 sinks, one inside the bathroom and one outside by the door. That made it easy since I had a co worker as a roommate. The beds were doubles, not queens, they were ok as for comfort level. The room itself was clean , but it was older and needed updates. There is a long skinny balcony with cheap outdoor furniture. Unfortunately our room over looked a used car lot. At night the road noise was awful!!!!! We constantly heard tires peeling out. Every morning around 330 or so there was beeping and machine noises, not sure if it was a delivery vehicle at a nearby business or what. Also one of the mornings there was a lot of banging going on, not sure if at the hotel or next door since there are a lot of business surrounding the hotel. So we did not get a lot of sleep. The room was averaged price for Orlando, but I have stayed at better more updated hotels for the same price.
I highly recommend this hotel. We looked from 6:30 to 12:30 trying to find an alternate hotel with good reviews for a price we could afford. Our resv. got messed up at another hotel by the online booking co. and by the time I realized it last week the price had doubled. We finally lucked upon this hotel and I called the hotel directly. From the time I first called and spoke with the person that made our resv. I got excellent and friendly service. We arrived on Friday and again got exemplary service. The maintenance man was in the lobby and he was super friendly each time we saw him over the weekend stay around the hotel he was just as friendly with both my husband and I. It was the same with every staff member we ran into during the weekend. Our housekeeper was awesome, the room was absolutely immaculate. There wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere in the room, not in the remotest corner, not on top of any of the frames or on top of the mirror or closet area. The only other time I've ever seen a room that clean was when the head housekeeper cleaned the room at the hotel I used to work at and I had to stay because of weather. My only complaints at all were cafe was only open for breakfast and lunch and we got there too late for lunch. The traffic is pretty heavy in the area and the only restaurants close by were on the opposite side of the road. Nothing within walking distance. I wish the cafe was open all day. It would have been more convenient. The other thing is the mattresses, my husband loved the firm mattress, they were too firm for me. However they were not lumpy or anything. I've stayed on much worse. The pillows were all fluffy, no lumps and they didn't smell at all. No stains. The other thing was the floors were tile, no carpeting, now in some ways this is great because they can keep them much cleaner, carpteting tends to get stained and smelly after awhile. The problem was it made the floor extremely cold which chilled the room quite a bit, if you turned up the heat enough to warm the floors a bit it got too hot in the room. Next time I'll bring slippers, problem solved. :) If you are there during the week and have somewhere to be at a certain time in the evening give yourself plenty of time if it's anywhere near rush hour. The traffic is AWFUL. Not the hotels fault of course. Just giving others the heads up. I've stayed in hotels twice the price as I got a family discount from my brother or employee discount when I still worked at a hotel years ago. This one outshines even those as to staff and cleanliness. The internet worked perfectly. I've stayed at other hotels where it was really spotty and slow. No problems at all. The hotel is close to the fairgrounds where the ham radio event we went to was held. 5 minutes and you're there. If you're into doll house miniatures, Ron's miniature store is up the street within a couple of miles and is wonderful. During any time other than rush hour it didn't take long to meet up with friends in Altamonte springs. Maybe 15 minutes. During rush hour it was a LOT longer than that. So avoid rush hour and you'll be fine. The rooms have a fridge which was working when we got there and worked perfectly and as with the rest of the room was immaculate inside. The last time we stayed in the area we stayed at a 4 star hotel and it took 4 refrigerators before they got us one that worked. For the price, best place we could have chosen. We'll stay again next time we are in the area.
A very clean hotel with very friendly staff located literally 15 minutes from the fairground (even in height of rush hour traffic). Lots of parking. Good lounge. Only thing lacking is a restaurant for supper.
Exceeded my expectations, it has a great location, very clean e best cost benefit. The only thing that could be better is the breakfast, did not have too much choices. The internet was very good. Friendly staff.
We stayed one night while attending a show at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts. It was just a couple miles away and much cheaper than other downtown Orlando hotels. It was clean and comfortable and our breakfast in the attached diner was free, I'd stay again.
Great stay. Breakfast at the on-site restaurant. Our only complaint was that the bed was a little hard. Other than that it was good. Not a full indoor walk from check-in to the room, had to go outside.
Ovetall, your hotel was more than expected. Very clean and with friendly staff throughout the hotel.. in the restaurant each morning, my family and i was greeted with the most friendliest waitress. Our food was brought out to us appealing anf hot. I would recommend your hotel anytime. The lobby was very impressable as well. Thank you for a great experience at Best Western. I will ook foward to another stay at BW in the future!!
I have been staying here for over 10 years and it is always pleasant and clean located near Downtown and all the attractions. I am staying there again this weekend. Celia a, Cindy, and Mark & Doug are great So is maurice.
I used this hotel because near (15min by walk) to the greyhound bus station. The room was 116. Big and clean. No moquette in the room: good. Two queen beds. Persons at the desk were efficient. There is a pool, but I didn't use and I had not breakfast because I left the hotel at 5 am.
Overall the hotel was a good deal for the price...the only thing was that they advertised that they had a lounge opened 7 days a week, when we got there on Sunday afternoon they told us the lounge was closed on Sundays
Enjoyed the staff. Exceptionally professional and nice. Did not enjoy the lounge bartender. Very rude attitude and matter of fact. Just awful. Regretted giving her a tip. The drink she made was okay so poor review for her. The room is located about 7 blocks from the stadium. Great if you like walking which we do. Also very dog friendly and the hardwood floors were non-slippery for our dog who hates laminated flooring because it is slippery. Overall great place for a Citrus Bowl Event. I may not choose this place though for a trip to Walt Disney or other attractions. Also close to downtown and Lake Eola park which is absolutely beautiful and safe feeling for walks/jogs. Love Orlando! I am going to retire near there.
After having a bad experience at a different hotel, I came to this place, Heaven, the gentleman at the front desk very polite help me with a room, double bed, after taking care of the reservation he took his time to show us to the room, the pool was beautiful clean, the service and smiles of the staff made us feel welcome, the room was clean, air conditioner, wifi, tv, everything to enjoy a great vacation, to the gentleman at the front desk, Thank You, to the staff keep on the great smiles,,,I will be back,,,
Overall it was not great. 1) My check-in experience was that of a roadside motel. I had to get my check-in card under a small glass window comparable to a movie theater. 2) The look of the hotel is a typical motel - frustrating 3) If you are with family (we were 3 including our child), you will get only 2 BF coupons. You have to manage. 4) Breakfast is at a different restaurant nearby. They tend to give priority to customers who did NOT come through BEst Western. and there are more as
Room looked & smelled clean. Cost was best we could find in area. They have smoking rooms for those who want & accept pets for a fee. Nice pool. Felt safe at hotel & in parking lot day & night. Places to eat nearby. It is an older hotel, so our room was a bit small, but our had been nicely renovated - fresh paint, new floor, nice bathroom, newer furniture & appliances. Mattress could have been better, but was satisfactory. Front main lobby could use an update. Easy drive to 408 & I-4. 1st time here. When we booked, we were skeptical because of the great price for this location, but we were very satisfied. Wireless internet was fast & dependable. Staff was very pleasant, cheerful, & helpful. If you want a clean room to sleep & shower, as you will be out most of the day/evening & at a great rate, this is it.
By far one of the best Best Westerns our family has stayed at- from the responsive staff to the clean, spacious rooms- all at a great deal! The pool is a perfect size and well maintained. I plan on staying here every time I come to Orlando with my family.
Although it is quite a sad little run down motel/hotel it met our needs for our stay during EDC and having enough booze in our system not to care. This hotel is not in the best area of town, but is in close proximity to Tinker Field/Citrus bowl. Cleanliness-wise it left a lot to be desired, our hotel room/bathroom had a stale urine smell. There is no elevator. Could benefit from having more than one person working the front desk at a time but staff was generally helpful.
Hotel staff , very friendly and caring... Hardwood floors were new and beautiful in room and meeting rooms. The lounge drinks were very reasonable, pool was clean and pretty. I will always come back for business meeting, can not beat cost of rooms and superb location.
Very clean.Pool was amazing.Location is central to Downtown shopping and entertainment.Parks and attractions can be easily reached from the Hotel's location. You'll find that all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Although the building is an older facility, the premises are well kept, the rooms are in good repair and very comfortable. The staff both front desk and housekeeping and maintenance were courteous and helpful if needed.
For a city motel, the price was wonderful. Had trouble finding it because the sign was so small. Thank you GPS! First motel I have seen with no carpeting on floor, just simulated wood, which made for easy cleaning. Large refrigerator, single cup coffee maker. Very nice shower head and good flow of water. Nice recliner and ottoman for reading or watching TV, plus desk and chair. Temperature of room stayed very constant without blowing us away. Needed a little maintenance over a few things installed crooked or latch falling off door, but overall cleanliness of room was wonderful. No continental breakfast, which was okay since price of room was so cheap. Plenty of food places in the area, and a restaurant on the premises. Nice pool area. Overall we were very thankful for this motel and it's location, which was only 2 1/2 miles from Amway Center, where we needed to go.Bed was too hard for my back problems, but some like hard beds.
I have been going to Orlando for the past 13 years and I have always stayed at this hotel. It has always been very enjoyable and could not imagine staying anywhere else. The pool is excellent and the people there are all great
The employees in this hotel were so friendly. The room was so clean and amazing. As far as I know, they just renovated. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND tourists to stay here. The value absolutely exceeds its price. The breakfast I had was complimentary and it is really good!!!
Great stay. Nice friendly service. Comfortable bed. Plenty of Parking space. Great swimming pool. If they had an exercise room this would be ideal. If you have to book this hotel do not wait until friday to do so. It books fast.
Clean but looked to be set back in the 70"s...the staff and people as well as the lounge and restaurant... lots of load noise and seemed to be in a rough area of town...not somewhere I would want to stay again unless I had no choice...
Hotel/motel is quite good. You could not expect something more from a motel. Big and clean rooms, pool outside if you need it. Free parking place. Some renovation to rooms and corridors needed. We stayed with children. Helpful staff.
Excellent place to stay. Very clean and great staff. Pool is exceptional I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone It was one of the best vacations I have had and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will continue to stay here every year
The lady that runs the desk during the day, is rude, does not understand the simple things that you tell her and she tends to repeat what is said to her 4 or more times, like she is trying to get her brain in gear. The internet does not work, so if you are going to have a meeting that needs internet go some where else. The beds are hard and uncomfortable and the air does not work right. I left a day early just to get to a better place.
I was at this hotel previously and they improved the facility. However, they should include breakfast. But for price and location is ok. For a short stay works, but if you want to stay closer to Disney attractions there are other BW hotels in that area. I stayed here because I was going to a concert in the Amway Center, which is very close to this hotel.
okay remodeled room with new floors, but the beds and mattresses are so old they sag and hurt to sleep in, bathroom is just okay, shower water pressure and heat just okay, skimpy towels, hallways and doorways and general neighborhood felt less than safe after dark, needs a lot of updating. Swimming pool was okay, clean. bar is a dump, no dinner places except one takeout chicken place across the street, and there's nothing within walking distance if you don't have a car. Breakfast restaurant out front is decent with a nice staff and newly remodeled.
I have stayed at this Hotel for over ten years it is a good hotel great staff they make the experience. The rooms are clean and the new Diner is great for breakfast. I have stayed here over 100 times and will continue to stay here as long as I can afford to, it has gotten more expensive to stay in Orlando.
The bathroom was set up awesomely for a handicapped person. Nice roll in shower and toilet the right height. The sink could have been a little lower, but it was usable. The bed should be a LOT lower for a paraplegic. There is no way to lift yourself into that bed without help if you don't have the use of your legs.
We got into town at a little after 2:00 am and rather than travel to Kissimmee at that time of night, we instead checked into this hotel closer to the greyhound station in Orlando. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even extending the checkout time for us at no charge since we were getting in so late.
