"Soccer tournament"

Traveling for a soccer tournament and this was the hotel we all stayed in as a group. Checking into our first room after a 6hr drive and coming in at almost 9pm, we pulled the sheets back to get into bed and there was hair all over the bed. We were put into another room after complaining and there was poop all in the toilet in the second room. It was the most unpleasant hotel stay I have ever experienced in my life.

I requested an early check in but when we arrived the room was not ready. So my daughter and I went and grabbed some lunch. When we came back the room was ready and they had upgraded us. Beautiful room and excellent service. Pristine bed sheets and pillows.

I spent one night at this hotel. Stayed on the 5th floor, rm 504. It was clean and the beds were comfortable which was all i was really hoping for. I could hear people in their rooms fairly easy in the hallways but once in my room it was quiet. The hallway was a little run down looking but the room was good. The free breakfast in the morning was pretty good. Make your own waffles, hot eggs and bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels, fruit, juices, and coffee.

The staff certainly made this stay a great experience. It was also easy to get to this hotel and was very centrally located for the places we needed to go to. There was plenty of parking and the pool was nice Although, we were very near a highway, we did not hear any traffic noise. This is a great benefit to a good night's sleep.

Very friendly staff at the reception, good size and clean rooms. Great location even though not in the city center. The best thing is the breakfast: very rich and tasty! I definitely recommend to go there!

I stayed at the Best Western on Jacksonville's southwest side, with easy access across the bridge to offices and dining in the southside. The location is ideal. After checkout, I left behind a small bag of chocolates purchsed as gifts for some associates in Jacksonville, and the staff at the hotel secured the anonymous bag and gave it to me on my return. Nice touch, great service, nice hotel.

It was ok. The room was clean for the most part. The bathroom trash had some toilet paper in it when we arrived. The rooms are solid, kids were playing and you couldn't hear it too much. The pool was dirty. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is good. It isn't big enough though. There is quite a crowd at breakfast.

We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. The staff were very friendly and professional. Housekeeping every day. Rooms were clean, fresh towels every day. Full warm breakfast :) waffles, sausages, bacon, eggs, yogurts, bagels, and much more!!!! definitely recommend it!! Felt safe :) no bugs , wonderful furniture. No complaints

This hotel is located in convenient place for travelers. However cleanness (in elevator, hallways) was 3. My room was clean but I had no idea why it's so humid and floor in bath was slippery. Ice machine on 4th floor didn't work. I think hotel has very good breakfast.

This was a very good value for the area. I drove an extra 6 miles off I95 and it was worth it! It is an older Hotel but very clean and everything we needed worked great. The Breakfast bar had the extra touch!

We used this hotel midway of a trip and especially to avoid the Georgia Hotel sales tax of 13%. THey even called me at 8 pm to make sure I was still coming and going to make it. I told them I was 2 hours out. Very nice and friendly service. Easy access off interstate, and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Nice clean room but it was really different than average hotels. Sink and all in bedroom. Only toilet and shower behind the door. Ice machine on second floor so you have to walk to it. Great vending, ice. pool, breakfast and facilities. There were several family reunions going on here. I would definitely recommend this or the next nice BW is 200+ to the north in Santee, SC I have stayed at them all in between and I am telling your the truth.

All the usual amenities of BW. Very friendly staff. This location is the most north of all, only one north of 295 and in an isolated location. I thought hotel was clean. However, exercise room was very smelly. I got a decent rate, so it was a decent stay.

We stay here when we come to visit family as they have great service! They have ice filled water with limes available as you come in the lobby all day as well as coffee. They have lots to choose from for their continental breakfast such as toast, bagels, muffins, and biscuits along with sausage gravy. You can choose between scrambled eggs or egg/cheese omelette. They have sausage patties or links and bacon. They have three different cereals to choose from, two types of milk, orange juice or apple juice. They also offer fresh made waffles, fresh fruit, and yogurt. We were given extra towels, pillows, and soap along with shampoo, conditioner, face wipe, and shower cap. The staff is helpful and friendly and responds to your call. We will be back!

We stayed on the ground level and the room had a constant smell of mold when you come in. The lock was broken, 1 part of the ceiling was broken , the ceiling vent in the bathroom was very loud. This hotel need serious renovation as it is outdated. Also I was very shocked that the management decides to use foam and plastic ustensils for their breakfast buffet. Not environmental friendly at all...

We were there for both business and pleasure. Everywhere we were in and around the grounds was clean and presentable. Hotel room was more than adequate with a work table and separate area for kitchen. The only elevator was broken at one point as we passed, but was repaired very shortly. The breakfast area and available items were what you'd expect. Food was fresh and well restocked.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed it. Clean, modern, wifi non available most of the time but that did not bother me. I am not in the room that much since I am working during the day. What I did not realize is that they DO NOT HAVE SECURITY CAMERAS OUTSIDE, I assumed that a hotel of this brand and reputation would have them for the safety of their guests as well as a deterrent to any crime happening. I had a very expensive Honda EU7000is generator cable locked in the back of my pick up truck, backed in to a parking space with shrubs and located right as you come into the property. Did everything I could to make sure nothing like this could happen. That mistake has costs me $4000. The hotel does not think they are liable for even my $1000 deductible. Luckily my home owners insurance is paying for the other $3000 I needed to purchase another generator. The generator weighs 300-350#s so this was not a one person snatch and grab crime. They had to cut the cable and have at least one or two more people to help lift the generator out and through the beat down shrubs. Without the security tape the police are helpless to try and recover the generator unless the thieves do try to pawn it and the pawn shops sees the serial number on the database as stolen. When I contacted the hotel the manager told me they were now "considering" putting in cameras. I can't believe the hotel's insurance company would not require them to have them. I told him I would give them 24 hours to respond to my request for the deductible payment and they have now had at least 36. So that tells me they do not care if their guests are safe. I hope if you are reading this review that you let them know you are not booking with them because you do not feel safe.

The room was mildewy smelling,black mold in upper corner of bathroom, damp feeling in room. And the light in bathroom was very dim., the exhaust fan in bathroom was dirty. The hotel was was renovated at one time it seems. The workers did a poor job. Will never stay here again.

Satisfied with all the facilities, they make me feel at home. I will be back gain next month as I have been staying here regularly for the past ten years. Good location, friendly staff, good breakfast, easily reached from the Interstate plus some good BBQ places very close by.

Hotel smells as soon as you enter the lobby. Could smell cigarette smoke on elevator. Beds were uncomfortable. No tub in bathroom. Definitely needs renovating. Breakfast was terrible. Everything was cold (eggs, biscuits, even the sausage gravey). I ended up throwing it out and just ate a bagel. I would not recommend this hotel

My husband and I spent the weekend at this hotel we were visiting from Savannah , Ga to attend the UniverSOUL circus. ; we stayed April6-9. We were originally gonna leave the 8th, but we were so comfortable we stayed an extra night. We started off on the wrong foot because when we first got our king room there was hair in our bed and in our tub. I immediately went to the front desk because we were not about to be in a dirty room. The guy at the front desk mickey made sure someone came up and cleaned the tub and changed the sheets while we were there in the room. So i would definitely be staying at this hotel again when we visit Jacksonville !!

This hotel is far from excellent! First of all DO NOT let the pictures deceive you. It is amazing what a nice camera and good lighting will produce. The hotel has a stale smell that even the best air freshener couldn't mask. I found fingernails on the carpet and dust everywhere. There was even toothpaste on the back of the front door. They offer a continental breakfast but I wouldn't dare eat it.

My family and I had a unplanned trip to Jacksonville To See family, we stayed at BW and to our surprise it was very pleasant. The Suite we stayed in had two queen beds & 2 pull out queen bed couch's it was very spacious for our party of 6 . The rooms were very clean and well kept . The breakfast was the kids favorite they offered a variety of hot items , biscuits & Gravy , waffles , eggs, sausage along with the basics bread ,bagels, fresh fruit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we had questions... what a value this was price wise and location! Will be staying again our next trip to the area.

BW Southside is a real value for one's money. Rooms are clean, comfy beds, a decent breakfast bar, and a staff that knows the value of service. We choose this facility when in Jax area for several days two-three times a year for the combination of service, price, and location.

We recently stayed at the Best Western for a night. The room was a very nice size, clean, and with a comfy bed. Service was acceptable at the front desk. Street noise is very loud on a Friday night, and it really sounded as if the road is a common spot for people to race their cars. Many engines revving late into the night. In the morning, the shower never got warm despite me waiting about five minutes to see if it would warm up. It was too cold for me, so those who highly value a hot shower and a quiet room might want to look elsewhere.

Check in was fine. Room itself was very large. However, the laminate floors made it seem very cold and uncomforting. The sofas were extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom had a large hairball under the sink and I saw 2 roaches. The bathroom itself was much to small considering the space for the bedroom and dayroom.

Sorry to say this hotel didn't make a good impression. Will it do in a pinch, sure. Why: our door lock was faulty & had to be worked on by maintenance, the hot water only got warm, the floor of the tub was stained so it looked dirty, outside the tub around the baseboard area and creeping upward - was falling apart from water damage. The carpeting looked like it hadn't been shampooed in years. We had the breakfast and survived, but some in our group were nervous to do so!

I was very impressed with the room I got for the price I paid. It was very clean and comfortable; I had two very good nights of sleep on my bed. Having the sink across from the bed was a bit unusual, but it was very clean and well-kept, and I was able to keep all of my grooming and oral hygiene aids on the sink's good-sized counter. It was very convenient to all Jacksonville-area activities (about a half hour from downtown, where I went to see a show) and to many area restaurants (I ate breakfast one morning at the Metro Diner about 2 miles away). I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and need a clean, comfortable and adequate room convenient to many points of interest.

Had no hot water, called front desk said they're working on it but questioned why they failed to mention it at check in, not apologetic. Hard to wait over an hr to get cool water, was late to a family viewing because of this. Still no hot water the following morning. Our 3 days here ended yup being one. Do not stay on the side with the gym opposite side had hot water.

The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. We had no reservations but have always found Best Westerns to be very nice. The room was clean but it was postage stamp size. Bathroom was very dimly lit and the sink to wash in was in the bedroom area almost directly across from the bed - needed to use the sink in the dark if you were with someone else. Breakfast was disappointing. The orange juice was watered down terribly. Only 1 restaurant close by - the rest were over a mile away. I would not stay at this hotel again.

On a weekend populated by a great many first timers coming to JAX for the NFL playoffs, the hotel seemed very busy the entire weekend. Staff and facilities were ready for the crowds, and the hotel was neither noisy nor messy, despite all the crowds. Really a good experience

Great hotel to stay at and I would recommend it. Good hot breakfast, Attentive staff, room was very clean. I had very little issues with this hotel. My only issues were that it took a long time for the water to get hot and that the internet provided was extremely slow. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

Nice hotel for the money, clean and very reasonable. Close to NAS Jax, shopping and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Easy access to the interstate and US 17, just a short drive across the bridge and you'll be in Mandarin.

I chose this hotel for the location near what I was going to be doing while in the Jacksonville area. That said, the hotel is easy to access right off 295. The location is kind of off by itself on the one side of 295 - there are a ton of restaurants on the other side that are a quick car ride away. Overall, I would say this is a fairly decent area and felt safe/comfortable. The check-in process was quick and easy (I had prepaid on TripAdvisor) and was given the option of choosing my floor - I chose the first floor. The room (a single Queen) was nice, clean and decent for the rate that I paid. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. My only complaint was the noise from the other rooms as people shut their doors (they slammed really loud) and most people aren't considerate enough to realize that they need to shut their doors quietly. There was a small gap under the door that allowed some sound in as well but I just put a towel down to try and mute the sound. The room had a nice size TV, small fridge, coffee maker and a desk. Breakfast was served in the lobby and included a mix of hot/cold items - eggs, bacon, waffles, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, juice/milk/coffee - nothing spectacular but it served its purpose. Check out was a breeze since I had already prepaid. I would recommend this hotel and would have no problem staying here again in the future.

For the price, you can find a better hotel. Not impressed. The reservation was for a special time with my husband, bed too soft, nice Jacuzzi but it took forever to get the water hot to enjoy it. Doors from the lobby would open for anybody, did not need to use you room card, did not make me feel safe.

The only thing that I wish they could do is mix the breakfast up a little bit.... it gets old after a week. Otherwise excellent good place to stay close to JAX. Easy drive to St. Augustine and outlets

Cannot recommend this hotel if you want hot water. Lame excuse from staff - "We're at near full capacity." They should not rent out extra rooms if they can't provide basic hot water to all customers. We heard from other guests that this has been a problem since at least Thanksgiving. Will request some type of refund.

This spot was most convenient to the Naval Air Station for activities there. Clean and a very tasty breakfast layout. However, the room was a bit too stuffy and no air-system change seemed effective at reducing that. Also, the pool is not heated. In addition, the fitness center was mixed: some equipment needed adjustment not to create banging noises and the TV remote could not be found. Convenient to groceries and restaurants in the area by car with some variety 5-10 minutes from there.

The people are very nice. The rooms are OK. They are clean and the rooms modern. However I can't conceive on the percentage of "excellent" or "very good" ratings. The masses must be correct though. I think the rooms and motel is Good. But just to get a picture in your mind, a modern Holiday Inn Express, A Hampton Inn might qualify as "very good". A Hilton may be " Excellent". This place is only good. It's ok for a night or two. You can still hear through the walls. Parking is tight. The climate control is not perfect etc.

The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. Rooms average size, bathroom very small, we didn't have hot water during our entire stay we rented two rooms during our stay. The hotel is out of the way. Easy check-in and out process...

I had 4 hotel rooms for a family reunion and each of the hotel rooms were very smelly. The hotel room had plumbing issues, no hot water, the toilet kept running over all on the floor and carpet. No hotel room service we were told after wating for someone to fix the problem because the toilet was running all over the place that we had to fix the problem and clean it up because they do not do maintence and they do not have staff available. I was not even offered another room because their seemed to be an on going problem with the plumbing and short staff.

No hot water and unclean room Do not stay here. This was the worse hotel I had to stay in. Sleep in your car before you stay here. That is how bad it is. Was planning on staying 3 nights but it was so terrible we packed up and found somewhere else to stay.

I prefer to stay in Best Western whenever i travel. Price is moderate, rooms used to be clean always. Representatives are friendly even when you contact them midnight. Above all i like the breakfast served here. More options and fresh and good food right in the morning.

This is one of a few hotels where offers free breakfast in this area. I heard the Best Western Hotel chains have been improving, so I gave a try. It was a mistake. The entrance doors were old scratched up hand-opening doors. The front lobby was dark and smelly. The inside elevator door were so filthy. The room appeared that it had been renovated a few years ago. It was nice that a disinfected wipe was on the phone. The sink and bathroom were cleaned, but the water smelled badly. So bad that I had to use bottled water to wash my face and brush my teeth. The hotel staffs were friendly. The breakfast attendant was a nice lady. I will not stay this hotel again.

Hotel is outdated and in desperate need of renovations and deep cleaning. The staff were very friendly and super accommodating which made the stay bearable. There is only one room in the entire hotel with a walk in shower and it was unavailable. The room itself was quiet but nothing seemed to work correctly. Internet was slow with frequent outages. There was no hot water our entire stay so we took lukewarm showers. There is mold growing in several places in the room. The curtains were stained. The bed was horrible with a sagging, creaking mattress with a huge dent in the middle. Air conditioner did not work. Breakfast was mediocre. Food ran out and was not hot. First and last stay at a best western.

Room was ok. The hotel is under a major renovation. The beds weren't very comfortable and the room had a little odor that was covered by air freshener. The towels were not very soft at all and on the small side, perfect for a child. The value and location is what sold me. Breakfast was included and was nice being we had a large group.. it made the start of our day easier to grab something and go. I think once the hotel has completed their renovations it will be a very nice experience. The staff was nice and engaging and the location was not difficult to access at all.

While the outside of this hotel looks nice, it really is not good. I could not get in our room when we first arrived because the door latch was out of alignment. Once "fixed", it would not latch, and additional work had to be done. Power flashed twice causing the TV to shut off. The breakfast is frozen stuff warmed up, and the juice machine did not work while I was there. Worst of all, the water never got warm for a shower. Spend the extra $20 and go across the street

Decent place to stay one or two nights, but the rooms are pretty tiny - you have to squeeze between the desk and bed to sit down or get up from the desk chair. Also - a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR pet PEEVE of mine - the hotel's internet cuts in and out. I spent better than 30 minutes on the phone with "tech support" for what is clearly an issue with the hotel's router. And once more, I ended up burning through a HUGE chunk of my cell phone data plan because I had to use my cell phone as a mobile hot spot to get anything done for work. The breakfast is okay, continental-plus, but nothing that will knock your socks off. I REALLY wish they would do something about all of the doors that don't fit the frames clearly. Guests have to slam the doors to get them to close, which can get very annoying. And never mind the housekeeping staff who think nothing of slamming doors DOZENS (literally) of times as they clean rooms - if you're unlucky enough to be at the hotel while the rooms are being made up, you'll be jumping out of your skin for the continuous series of "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" as the housekeepers go in and out of rooms. The parking lot in back of the hotel is VERY poorly lit, and there isn't much parking in front of the hotel The only reason to stay here is the price. If I get a match or better price at another nearby property on my next trip to town, I think I'll give the other property a try.

This hotel smelled terrible. Was told by staff that it was due to water damage from hurricane. Our room smelled terrible too. We could not change rooms due to event. I had booked my room 6 weeks prior if not longer and was never given an opportunity to try a better place. The staff was nice enough but really they should of closed that place up. I will not be returning.

We had to get a hotel for one night for my son's soccer trip. The Best Western provided an excellent experience. Check in and check out were a breeze. The hotel was nice and clean. I would stay at this hotel again if we visited the same area.

Nice for the price. We would stay here again. Some furniture too large for the room. So be careful using the toilet at night, turn on a light. Odor in the Elevator, smells like some electrical or mechanical part is going bad. But worked just fine.

Had a terrific stay at the Best western Southside. The hotel provided a nice breakfast. It is conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants and the Navel Base. Right off of 295 Beltway. Just a hope over the bridge to Highway 95 or Rt. 1 to St. Augustine.

A one night stay almost went awry due to a 3rd party booking service, but the manager stepped up and straightened it out for us tired travelers. We have a tastefully decorated room that is obviously recently refurbished. The bed mattress is very comfortable. Everything is very clean! So glad we picked this hotel. Big thumbs up all around!

No parking, lazy staff, smelled of chemicals that'll knock ya down, the elevator was unsafe and smelled like burnt rubber we even felt the heat when we got off. The rooms smelled musty and the bathrooms were dirty.

I ended up here because the other two reservations my company made for me got messed up. It's kind of a weird location but close to the interstate. Parking can be difficult as it seems there's not a lot of parking spots available. Faith was very friendly when I checked in and took care of everything. Whoever checked me out was horrible. It's like I woke her up and she didn't know how to handle an Expedia checkout. Said she had to call and it would be awhile. I had to work early so never got to experience breakfast but hot coffee was available all the time. Housekeeping needs to work on its consistency as my room was never properly cleaned/stocked after I arrived each evening. All in all it was a pretty decent stay and I have no problems staying there again if I am back in the area.

We came because a large oak tree fell on our home, which resulted in a loss of power. Don't know if you've experienced the hot muggy air of low pressure brings but it makes for and uncomfortable day and night, even little Roxie was panting. We struggled to find and empty room that wasn't a dump and this Best Western was a lifesaver! It was pet friendly and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially since they were filled with hurricane refugees from Harvey and Irma. The rooms were clean and cool and the continental breakfast was better than most. They served the usual waffles, bread products that were complimented with sausage gravy, bacon, Canadian bacon , and pork sausages. I probably won't stay here unless it's an emergency since I live 5 miles away.

We recently stayed at the hotel for one night after a motocross event in west Jacksonville. Firstly, our hotel room smelled like body odor which was quite disconcerting. It seemed to be in the carpets. In addition, when eating a continental breakfast, we were misinformed of the time and instead of being given warning or time to finish gathering our meals, hotel staff started cleaning around us and we were rudely told that breakfast ended at 9:30 so we were out of luck. They all but snatched the plates from us. We felt generally unwelcome and will not be returning. The only plus was that the labor-day weekend rates were reasonable.

Very nice, stayed for two nights. Clean room,could use some updating but not bad. The bathroom was a really odd set up. If you weighed over 200lb your leg will be touching the toilet paper roll so it's not gonna roll. Had to take it off to get paper off. Very noisy guests across the hall slamming doors at 6am. Didn't take points off for that, I have had that happen in many hotels. Exceptional breakfast buffet, coffee all day and night. Courteous staff all around. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Good location, multi-story hotel. Our 2nd visit there so that should tell you something. This time we found the beds uncomfortable and didn't get a good night's sleep. Breakfast had only cheese omelets and sausage plus all the ordinary stuff; would have preferred scrambled and bacon!

While traveling to family for a few days we stopped half way to our destination at this property. I chose it for location, price and review. I was a bit skeptical because i am a hotel snob, I prefer new but didn't want to spend 150+ for a place t sleep for a few hours. This Best Western was recently remodeled and looked almost like new. The room was clean, new carpet, comfortable bed, USB ports in several areas, bathroom redone with clean new tile. Our room also had a small kitchen area with table and chairs, granite countertop, fridge and microwave. Well done Best Western!

Considering the reason for the stay was not a pleasant one, custody suit in family court, it was nice to know everything was taken care of. We had no worries for breakfast. There was always coffee, hot chocolate and water (with lemons or oranges) available. Rooms were comfy and the pool was refreshing to spend time with the kids.

The Best Western Orange Park continues to provide nice accommodations to me on my frequent trips to Southwest Jacksonville, FL. Nice breakfast, pleasant staff, overall a positive experience. The hotel has recently completed a remodel and a refit, now being more modern and amenable. Good wifi. Not a deluxe neighborhood for a family vacation, but well located with nearby food and beverage options.

We traveled from Texas to Jacksonville for a Martial Arts tournament and checked in July 14, 2017. We originally were placed in room 406. We quickly discovered that the toilet was not in working order, Sherman, the maintenance attendant promptly responded to our room where he attempted to resolve the issue. Sherman was gracious and professional, but ultimately unable to fix the problem. We asked for a room with a functional toilet and were offered a king suite with a fold out sofa sleeper. Given how late it was and the family being exhausted from the drive, we were willing to utilize a sleeper sofa until things could get worked out tomorrow. We packed up our room and moved to 411. The "suite" was horrible and smelled like old dirty socks. The sofa sleeper itself was in terrible shape. The mattress and support springs were completely worn out and about half of the springs were missing or ripped through the supporting fabric. We again sought a solution at which time were offered another double room. Not sure how they came up with another double room when they didn't have one just a half hour earlier. Again, we packed up and moved to 502. While trying to sleep we were awakened to the sound of two men trying to access our room. The latch banging against the door is what woke us up. My husband confronted the men at which time they said they had been checked into 502. It seemed odd that the two men had no luggage with them and only possessed room keys and a six pack of beer. Their keys worked to our room! Thank goodness we had the latch secured! Worst part of all this is the employee's response. With an attitude he said HE personally didn't do anything, and it must of been someone else. No apology, no concern for our safety, just refusal of accountability. Save your money, stay somewhere else where your family will be safe!

Upgraded nicely. Saw no damage. Shower was amazing as was the bed. Couldn't hear the couple next door to us or the street traffic. Check in was fast and easy. Staff friendly and courteous. Well worth the stay. Only thing that held back the 5th star was the parking. It's a little tight

The new renovations were sloppy - gaps in wall paper, repairs not done properly to walls before repainting, carpet not stretched enough, carpet tacks along wall edge stick up. But even with this I STILL RATE THIS PLACE good for the money. The showerhead had excellent pressure! I can never rinse my hair in a hotel without using the tub faucet, but this showered was great! Breakfast was HOT and GOOD, had variety and changed daily. Nice location, easy to get downtown Jax. But just outside enough to be able to get around and do things without having to drive in downtown. Close to great local eats, target, and fast food places. It does have a SMALL pool, not recommended for vacations where the hotel IS your destination. But we were in town for a convention so we wanted a good breakfast, shower and sleep - which we got, though the mattresses are not the best and make noise when you move around. I recommend paying a little more and getting the 2 room suite! The maid let us look at it and it would have been worth the extra.

The hotel was nice and decent. The room was clean and the A/C seemed to work fine. The bed slept nicely. The hallways were clean and the elevator was fine. There was ample parking. It was easy to get in and out and to get back to the interstate. There was also easy access to the base (less than 1.5 miles). There were 3 stray cats out back but they minded their own. The breakfast was great which included waffles. Price was affordable, especially compared to other hotels within the same area. I would stay again and I would recommend to others.

Staff seemed uninterested in guest, had to wait almost 10 min for somebody to check me in. Breakfast attendant was rude and the breakfast set up was mediocre. Probably won't be staying at this hotel again.

Stayed for two days, this was my second time in a weeks span staying here. First time no complaints except for broken ice machine. 2nd time still broken ice machine, and our frige was not in working condition. Overall great place for the price. Also may want to get breakfast at another place.

A good stop in a quiet area, convenient sited for the usual activities, restaurants etc. Hotel staff were very good and enjoyed a joke or two, they were helpful with their expertise in local knowledge, which was certainly very useful to a visitor from overseas. Breakfast, included in cost, was good and plentiful. Again the lady undertaking the duties was delightful.

Nothing unusual about the hotel if you expect good service at the front desk, a decent size room and a parking spot. The location is great to get on and off I295 easily and quickly. However, you WILL need a car to get anywhere to eat. There are plenty of food places within 15 minute drive. They have an outdoor pool but it's really only good for a few youngsters to play about in - if "lanes" are your thing then forget it. All in all a good hotel, friendly staff and one I would certainly use again.

We booked this hotel through Hotwire and were pleased by the reviews. We checked in late as it took 15 hours to get there and we had a little trouble finding it bc the google maps on the phone wasn't working. I probably would rate it very good if we had not received a room next to the ice machine. The hotel was full and somewhat noisy. The room itself was nice enough though the AC was also noisy and we didn't sleep well. This room had a single queen bed facing a large tv atop a chest of drawers. The sink was next to the chest and outside the bathroom with minimal counter space. There was also a desk in this room. A small room just behind the bedroom contained a sink, coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge and had just enough room for a table & 2 chairs. That's the first time I've seen a room set up like that and it was nice. The bathroom was unremarkable and had no counter space at all. The breakfast consisted of the usual pastries, waffles, eggs and sausage.

This hotel is ok but vertalen noisy. You van hear the neighbours all night. It's also to far from the beach andere downtown. It's almost 30 minutes by cab. Breakfast is ok and there is a pool when you need it.

My partner and I took the weekend to ourself. We are Jacksonville residents and we needed time away from our daily stress factors (jobs, kids, obligations, etc) I had my heart set on a spa tub and this was the only room with one available that wasn't incredibly expensive! We traveled back and forth to St. Augustine for 2 days, and it was a great place to come back to to relax. Only downfall was the mattress. I'm sure it would be adequate for most, but I have back issues, so it wasn't super comfortable for myself. Loved our stay and our time to ourselves.

I travel all the time for work and I stay in and out of a lot of hotels. My check-in experience was okay the room was standard and clean . Breakfast could have been better a lot of dry food. * my check out experience was the best. I met a beautiful African American well spoken women. I believe her name was Tiffany or Stephanie. She had a line to the door of people who wanted to check out this morning . And she was so bubbly and friendly to each one of us did not show signs of frustration or anger . Gave her my business card. Very professional and gave the company a great look. Without her 3 stars!

Good place to stay; however, it is a lot of traffic right there where the hotel is at. The Base traffic is awful. I would recommend that animal control be called to remove the number of stray cats on the property. The hotel itself is clean, nice beds, clean bathroom, and a wonderful group of employees. It is also a good price.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Florida. Check-in was quick, and all the employees were friendly. The room was neat and clean, which is typical for this chain, with a microwave, refrigerator, TV, as well as a very comfortable and king size bed, with an adequate amount of pillows. Like most moderately priced places we stayed, the bathroom could have used some updating. In general, it filled our needs. The breakfast was typical for a chain such as this with not an abundance of selections; but enough to get one started first thing in the morning.

after a long day I got back to my room and discover that my room was not cleaned. My bed not made and no fresh towels. I called the front desk and all he said was we don't have housekeeper here at this time but u can get some towels.

It was in the right location for me, easy access. Even though there was ongoing renovations the lobby and dining area were set up nicely. The free breakfast was surprisingly very good, coffee was fantastic. The room met my needs, bed was comfortable and pillows were great. The wifi for my room was fast, a/c unit started making noise my last day but it did its job keep the room temperature comfortable. I would recommend this to others. Will stay here again on my next trip.

Diamond member upgraded to suite and it was very nice. Quiet overall. The morning meal was OK and needs cut fruit bowls for breakfast. All in all a very nice place to stay near NAS JAX. Parking is good. The mall is three miles away and has everything there.

My husband and I recently waited out Hurricane Matthew at the Best Western Southside Hotel and Suites in Jacksonville. The star quality leadership of its manager, Shawn Sadberry, created a comfortable and responsive atmosphere for guests and staff alike. She is clearly a model of courtesy, cooperation and competence. The entire staff (desk, housekeeping, food and maintenance) were on hand, doing their jobs but quick to step in when other staff members were already busy. Their teamwork was carried out naturally and with such good will. It is also a staff who clearly appreciate and respect their manager. The service was wonderful at all levels and what could have been an anxious and inconvenient experience was so comfortable and responsive. We will return to this hotel. Best Western is fortunate to receive the services of Shawn Sadberry and her staff---and so were we! Jeanne N

Sometimes Best Western can be good, sometimes not so much. This one is Great! Right off of I-295 and just a short drive to St. Augustine. Property looks newer and is very clean and well maintained. Courteous staff and free breakfast. A "real" breakfast with sausage, corned beef hash, cheese omelets and more. Not the usual corn flakes and stale rolls other chains offer. Comfy beds with lots of pillows. I would definitely stay again.

Recently remodeled and absolutely friendly environment! I highly recommend this location as it is conveniently located with easy access to Jacksonville, Florida. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They ensured we had an easy access room for my 84 year old mother. The room was very spacious with a small kitchen nook. Very nice. Beds were comfortable and all spaces were clean.

This was our 31st anniversary. We don't like to travel far any nire and it's a two hour trip for us. That's my driving limit. It's worth it to get away for a few days and the people here are so happy and friendly, it makes it all worth while. Since this hotel became the Best Western it has improved immensely. We will be coming back every year now.

This was another in a series of trips to JAX and north FL for business. Has a series of appointments, and the central location of the hotel with access to varied interstate connnections was ideal. We had to drive across town, twice, before leaving on Monday and were able to navigate around much of the rush hour traffic with this hotel's proximity to I - 295.

When I first arrived to the hotel after hours of driving, the last thing I want to do is settle for a room that cannot be dealt with. The customer rep Brittany, was dealing with allergies AND was an off shift personnel of the hotel during my stay. My first room that I was introduced to, had a leaking refrigerator. She did not miss a beat, and moved me to another room without attitude or delay. In my next room, the rooms AC refused to come on. With my service dog being a northern breed, I needed something more accommodating to his needs, and mine. (77 degrees in a room to sleep is NOT comfortable). I checked the AC plug and still couldn't get the AC to cut on, only to ask Miss Brittany to help yet again, to try to fix the plug so my stay can be more comforting. She also could not get the AC on. And yet again, gave no excuse, no fault thrown, and not only moved me, but upgraded me with no charge to me for the hullaboo that I had to endure as soon as I checked in. Handled PERFECTLY!! As a person that does not throw a big stink over things such as this in colder climates, and usually just keeps my mouth shut for the money I am paying, I felt NO GUILT, NO ATTITUDE back at my defense towards the reps, spoken under my breath. I WILL be staying at this particular hotel again, and I recommend it to any traveler. Well done BEST WESTERN ORANGE PARK!!!!!!!!!

This hotel was very nice. We stayed only one night but it was one of the best stays in a hotel we have ever had. We got upgraded to a suite which made it even better, but for a short stay it was unnecessary. Not complaining, but it could have been left for someone who may have needed it more. Very nice eating area for the complementary breakfast as well. The only downside was the bathroom was so tiny and when we were in the hallways it felt like a sauna.

This is the closest Hotel to NAS Jacksonville that I could find that was clean and had good rates. it is close to Everything you need. Short drive to everywhere. The staff was excellent. I stayed 16 day and everyday when I returned my room was clean and all my belongings were right where I left them. I would recommend this Best western to anyone who needs to be close to NAS ( Navel Air Station).

Hotel is in a great location for busy at NAS Jacksonville. Five minutes from the gate with easy access. Breakfast is good and complete. This breakfast would cost you over $20.00 at a restaurant in town. Not much of a gym, but it you are working on base just use the gyms on base.

JAX becoming more and more crowded with the passage of years, and this hotel has a nice location removed from all the traffic, but still close to town, the base, etc.

If you are looking for a nice, clean place for a reasonable price close to the Naval base, this is it. Beds were comfortable. Place was clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast was adequate. We had come here to visit son on the base. This is within just about 5 or 10 minute drive and almost a straight shot. Staff was helpful to give information about local places to visit and directions.

The hotel is an average, basic hotel & it is kept pretty clean. The beds are comfortable. The location is good if you have a car (right off 295 and next to the Navy base), but not if you need to walk anywhere. It's a great place to stay though mainly because of the customer service. We were there for two weeks with a toddler, both of us working, so we had some extra needs/requests. Anytime we needed anything, Bobby at the front desk went above and beyond to help us. Bernadette, who does the breakfast in the morning, was also such a sweetheart. She takes great pride in making sure the dining area is clean (I even saw her cleaning the light fixtures and picture frames after breakfast one day).

I felt totally safe and well taken care of. The staff is awesome. Pool was clean, breakfast is outstanding and the over experience was just totally great. Very well located to highways, bases and my son's home. Very convenient to get in and out of as well.

Great hotel. Friendly staff, rooms and property was very clean. Not too far from the Jax beaches and restaurant were located nearby. Also near the navy base for sight seeing. Casino also near the area for entertainment purposes.

Good hotel in Jacksonville, convenient to expressway, shopping, restaurants. Choice for breakfast was much better than what we normally expect. Room was clean and beds comfortable. It was a good choice for our overnight stay.

I opted to book this hotel (July 2-7) based on the location and price since we only needed a place to crash while visiting family in Orange Park. Upon entering the front door, my kids immediately noticed the smell and said that it smells like stinky feet! As with some other reviews, the A/C was not working when we got to our room but the staff was very responsive and had maintenance on it within 5 minutes - very good! Maybe it's because I told her that I'll move to another hotel if they can't fix it. The bad thing about this though is that they should be checking this BEFORE they let the guests in the rooms. This also made the smell of the room more noticeable as it was warn and humid in the room when we first got there. Another bad thing about this property is that the walls are very thin and hardly provide any sound insulation of any sort. It was a busy 4th of July week when we stayed and there were a lot of people walking down the hallways at night and you can hear them loud and clear as if there were no walls at all! I even heard the TV from the adjacent room one night when I couldn't sleep. I thought I had a good deal when I booked this hotel but after staying there, I think it's overpriced for what it had to offer. We also did not try the free breakfast as it was always crowded so I can't comment on the food.

Looooved this place! Spacious standard room & clean????????. Will be staying in BW hotels every time I travel. Breakfast was amazing as well!! Anything you want, they had it. The ladies at the front desk were so nice to us, even though we were sooooo late to check-in: due to driving 6 hours from Alabama from visiting families. It was such a great stay. I recommend this place for everyone. Especially families traveling on a budget ??

This hotel has been updating common areas using granite and Quartz. The transitions are steep and low troughs at the elevators threshold. Bath rooms are converted to handicap accessible. There were no grab bars in the no threshold showers..odd. The room I was in was nice, no smells or cover scents which was great. Breakfast was adiquit. Eating area very nice and open but also busy exit/ entry. Outside Noise level were low its location is isolated. Overall a good place for the price.

Room was very nice for the price. Roomy, and comfortable. Only negative was at check out , I was told the clerk would email me my receipt, didn't happen. This is convenient to Orange Park and NAS Jacksonville, Fl. Right off of I-295 and US-17 , but you don't get the road noise like at some hotels close to major roads.

Breakfast could have been better. waffles were sticking and no non-stick spray was provided. The Bathroom needed updating badly, wall paper was pealing. Internet was poor to non-existence at times. Location was not bad, easy access to freeways.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The front desk receptionists are hands down the most friendly and accommodating people I have ever encountered. If you ever have the pleasure to stay here do not pass it up. Bobby, Margo, and Cal who work at the front desk are amazing. I even have had the chance to speak with the manager Mrs. Shawn a few times and she is the kindest manager I have met, she will help you out with anything you could possibly need. 10/10

Reported broken shower and TV and during 3 night stay neither was repaired. The handle controlling the shower was broken and I reported it but it was never repaired. The TV remote did not work and we could only get one channel. This was finally repaired. I have always stayed at this hotel for convenience when taking care of my parents. I will find another place for future visits.

My husband and I were coming to Jacksonville to visit relatives. My husband is a cook so we looked for lodging with a kitchen. All of the places we usually stay in were booked. We ended up making reservations at an Extended Stay America. After arriving and seeing the place, we asked for our money back. It was not up to the standards we were use to. They agreed to refund us our money, but we were left with no place to stay. We went to my relative home in Orange Park and she suggested this Best Western. I had tried earlier and it was booked. We drove to the hotel and was told they had no space. The gentleman at the front desk (Bobby) called several hotels in Jacksonville trying to find us a room. There were no room available. We thanked him for his efforts and were getting ready to leave when he called us back. As he was helping us, a cancellation came in. We were able to secure a room for the two nights. When we entered the room, we were very pleased. The room was very spacious. It had a separate living area from the bedroom. It was modern and clean. I cannot compliment the space enough and I certainly cannot say enough positive things about Bobby. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again!

I was traveling with a senior group from Georgia. This hotel would not have been my choice. How surprise I was with the quality of the breakfast food, the extremely clean room, comfortable mattress, the friendly staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff. It's location is another plus. The environment around the hotel was very quiet. I did not go to the pool area or the exercise room. Definitely would recommend this hotel to others.

"Bathroom not family-friendly"

Except for the bathroom, this rating would have been much higher. We reserved a 2-room suite for three days. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was pleasant and professional. The living room was large, with two sofa-sleepers. Extra sheets and blankets were in the cabinet drawers for the sofa-sleepers. The bedroom had two queen beds. They were comfortable, with four pillows on each bed. Keep in mind, though, that if you close the door to the bedroom, it shuts off the air conditioning to the living room. The bathroom, though, looked like it was designed by an idiot and installed by Wilt Chamberlain. The sink design is convex, putting you away from the sink, and increasing the chance of splatter. Even worse, the sink was mounted about four feet off the ground. This is great for tall basketball players, but bad for short women or children. You need to lower it or include a step-stool. The tub/shower lacked grab bars. The water is extremely soft and slippery and grab bars could eliminate an accident. Overall, this is a nice hotel. Improving the bathroom would make it even better.

The staff here is wonderful! Very helpful and kind. However, they are a little aloof at what is going on here. Trespassers in at the pool, the laundry area, breakfast..... either they don't care or really not paying attention. Other than that, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Loud at nights, but it is what it is. A hotel.

Checked into my Sweet suite at Best Western, Orange Park. Turns out I've stayed here before. Didn't realize this until i recognized the location. I was here in june of 2014. I don't travel that much but I waa very glad to see that i book this hotel again. Quiet rooms even though it is right off the main roads.

everything was good. just thought the room was a little small and over priced. The vending area was a little hard to find. breakfast was okay. nothing to jump up and down about. My wife and I were in town for a overnight stay. The location was just a little out of the way. Bed was very comfortable, we slept great. and the A/C was kicking.

The overall was good, but, however the lighting in bathroom was very poor. the breakfast sauasge was not the usual good tasting meat, not 100% pure meat. The sausage meat had yellow blotches (fillers I think). Maybe someone is cutting cost of meat.

Not up to BWs normal super standards. Staff nonchalant, parking not great. Elevator very slow. Luggage carts not available. Plenty of good restaurants not too far. We ate at Sam's St. Johns Seafood and it was great, good food and service !

We stayed in one of the 2 room suites and the value was excellent. We have a fun-filled day and the bed was perfect and so comfortable!!! I would recommend it. They also had a full breakfast the next morning with lots of options which is great when you have picky eaters.

The breakfast is lousy...minimal selections. Room television is flat screen but all channels broadcast in scruffy low-definition....and due to the hotel budget will not go HDTV until late 2016 or 2017...according to their front desk. Room lighting is awful....subway white lights. Noise...hotel sits adjacent to I-285 with truck/highway noise all night...windows have poor sound insulation. Better options a 1/2 mile away away from highway and closer to many restaurants. This hotel is being run on a shoestring budget and it feels that way. Stay away!

Having booked a room then to be upgraded because of my patience whilst she was dealing with another potential customer on the phone was unexpected. I visit Orange Park often and I love staying at this hotel! Great Staff, Clean Rooms, Comfortable Beds, Awesome Breakfast, Overall great experience. Located close to NAS and Orange park mall, tons of dining locations and activities nearby. Laramie Cundiff is very professional and will ensure your trip is memorable.

We could not have had a better hotel or staff to help us with whatever questions we had. We always feel welcome there. The employees at the front desk do an outstanding job in assisting us with all our questions. The breakfast supervisor does a great job, also. It is a very clean hotel and the beds are comfortable. This hotel is awesome! The breakfast is good, the employees are friendly and professional and the hotel is clean. The room was spacious. I liked the area - near plenty of restaurants, casual and fast food. I enjoyed my stay and if I return to the area, I will be back in the area.

Very nice, a heated pool would have been nice for the small size the pool is. Internet is hit or miss, not a very strong connection in some rooms. Not sure if they just shut it off at a certain hour. But I just logged back on using the meeting rooms connection using the same password. I would stay here again,

This type of accommodation was so much better for us than a regular room--just a little more room makes so much difference. With a separate little living area we could each pursue our own relaxing activity without keeping the other awake. I could read without my husbands TV program interfering.

We rushed down to JAX through the blizzard of 2016 and were grateful to find a room at the BW in SW JAX. Close to friends and family and business matters. Decent breakfast, good coffee, nice people at the hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel two previous times, but this was the best time. It was obvious that improvements have been made in the last two years. The breakfast area and the eating area has been changed and improved. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The Breakfast area lady (Sunni) does a great job keeping the food items supplied and the area clean. She is constantly cleaning and checking on the area. The Check-in process went quickly and Laramie has a very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome and at home while on the road. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when going through the Jacksonville area.

Came into town to visit my son. This particular hotel was close to the Navy base and some attractions. I stay at Best Western quite a bit because they usually have a hotel wherever I go and breakfast is included. The facilities were clean and orderly. You got to let the water run a while before it gets hot. All in all, it's a nice quiet place at a good price.

The hotel is great. The room was clean and everything was brand new. However, the room with only one queen bed was very small and the only sink we had was next to the bed... I had a problem with the password for the internet.

We booked this hotel as it was a good stopping point on our way further south. The exterior and lobby looked like it had been recently updated and had a trendy look. We did not arrive until around 11pm and we were all exhausted. It was a spacious suite. It had two sofa beds on the main living area, but only one could be open since they overlapped space. There is only one air unit in the bedroom that also cooled the living area. So it was really cold in the bedroom and warm in the living area. Speaking of air, the unit was so loud it was difficult to sleep. In the morning I was the first of our party to take a shower. NO HOT WATER! I had to turn the shower off twice because of the chill. I mentioned this upon check-out and the lady took note of it as if it was a surprise. Breakfast was bland, but that is expected. If the water temperature was better and the air conditioner noise was fixed, I would stay again. Overall rating = average.

Have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years, and with recent remodeling and continuing efforts with breakfast, it is a predictable and fair value. Quiet, comfortable. Not the very nicest hotel on the planet, but a safe and practical option for me and my family.

Took shower right after wife and ran out of hot water. This looks to be a retrofit hotel and things are not to the level of quality that I was expecting for Plus property. Uneven floor at front door and elevator. Manual door at entrance made it difficult negotiating with luggage.

This was a great place to stay. It is a nice peaceful location. The room was very nice and comfortable and it was close to where we were going. The staff was great and helpful. There is a very good breakfast to start your day off it you get up early enough to enjoy it.

The staff was so friendly and made you feel at home. We arrived early from an early morning flight and they let us check in without charging us extra. Everyone we encountered were very caring. Our air conditioner stopped working during the night and they were there to fix it almost before I hung up the phone. Wonderful stay!

We planned this trip back in June of this year, thinking it would be exciting to ride a paddle boat down the St johns River and have a lunch aboard. The boat ride was good for the short distance we were on the boat and the crew went out of their way to make everyone happy on the ride.

When we we checked in with a huge wedding last weekend,we were greeted by a young lady by the name of Amber. She was very friendly had a great smile and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. As she was checking us in she did mention that she was brand new and to please bear with her as she was still learning. She did great, got us into our room and even called us to ask if our room was okay. She took the time to make sure we were okay. VERY nice touch feom her. You can tell that she really has the customer service and that she likes her job. HARD TO FIND that these days. We highly recommend this hotel and the staff!!!

My wife and I were in town for a wedding and we had seen a special on trip advisor for this hotel and decided to give a it a try. Staff was very helpful and accommodating (we needed early check in) and the room was clean and comfortable. We did not have the breakfast.

This location was fantastic. An error from Priceline caused my bride to be's room and 3 day booking to new be scheduled, during Florida/Georgia weekend (one of the busiest days of the year in Jacksonville.) Laramie Cundiff, the front office manager went above and beyond to fix the booking, make the entire situation better, and really treated my now wife amazingly. She truly saved the day and made my wife's weekend a lot less stressful. Great staff. The breakfast was incredible too.

Closest to the Naval Air Station in Jax, as well as I-295, this is THE place to stay if you're visiting anyone living at or near NAS. Like the Navy personnel is caters to, it's always at the top of it's game in terms of cleanliness, courtesy and quality of the facilities. A great value, especially if you qualify for any of the available special rates.

I thought I had reservations at the Navy Gateway but I messed up so I called the Best Western nearby and they were very accommodating and even giving me an up grade to a jacuzzi suite. We were visiting our son stationed at the nearby Navy base and our anniversary! The staff was wonderful. A Special thank you to Deidra and Lamara. The coffee in lobby- great!

The staff was very nice, and the room was clean, but there a pet/musty smell to the room. I asked the front desk if they allowed pets, and they said no pets were allowed. Not sure why it smelled that way.

Sometimes it is difficult to control what some of our guest do during their stay. We work to the best or our ability to remove anything that may be offensive to someone else. We stay here whenever we have to be in Jax for business. Clean hotel, staff is efficient and helpful, room and bed are comfortable. Breakfast is typical for a BW. There is a laundry room and the desk has quarters. The price is good for the area.

I stayed here last minute after the previous sleeping arrangements I had fell through around midnight. They took me in right away with a reasonable rate and I was in my room by 12:30am! The front desk was great, the room was clean and the breakfast in the morning had a big selection and was very tasty!

We recently returned from a 4-day stay in Jacksonville, FL at the Best Western Southside. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd have to go with a 15. Probably the first motel I've ever stayed at that there's not a thing I'd change. Staff is very friendly and professional, free breakfast is exceptional and the location is convenient to everything. We'd definitely stay there again, plus recommend to all our friends This was just a plain comfy, clean, just like home motel....with kitchette table/chairs, microwave, mini fridge and sink.

Very pleasant experience. A very clean and well maintain facility convenient to where my family wished to go. The inn is quite close to the interstate, yet very quiet. Very helpful and courteous staff. Good value for my money. I highly recommend this hotel.

My daughter had a bag of clothes in the bathroom that were while we were away with family. Talked to the front desk and they wouldn't do anything about the missing bag of clothes. Also had a plugged toilet. Said they couldn't help with that either. Night help at the desk said this.. Will def be getting ahold of someone higher up about this issue.

Came to Jacksonville for a visit with family and chose this specific hotel because they are non-smoking and very convenient to I-295. Upon arrival we were greeted by the check-in lady with a smile and a welcome. After we got to our room and unloaded our luggage from the roller cart the lady that checked us in called and asked if we were satisfied with our room or needed anything. She always greeted us when we left and came back. The room was clean and decorated nicely. They have done some remodeling and it looks nice inside and outside. The breakfast is EXCELLENT! A variety to items to choose from so whether you want hot or cold it is available. The lady that provided breakfast was attention to detail so everything was clean and had utensils and was delicious. Outside the hotel is clean (no cigarette butts laying on ground) and the lobby is beautiful. Plenty of seating available for breakfast. One thing I really liked was there was a BIG pitcher of ice water with lemon up close to the check-in counter that was available all the time with plenty of cups.

Yes The Staff I Came In Contact With Were Friendly & Helpful. But The Hotel Itself Was Ok At Best. Other Than The Staff, My Experience Was Not Positive. The A/C Was Noisy, Room Had An Overall Dated & Used Feeling. Not Close Enough To Anything To Walk To. Sign Say's Updated Rooms---------------Not. With Tax I Paid $83 Per Night. Shop Around, You Can Get A Nicer Place.- Lesson Learned

I spend three nights with a senior group of 54 . The stay was very good . Rooms were clean , the staff was so friendly and Helpful. Breakfast each day was tasty Food area always very clean . Help tried To care for all our needs. Only thing that kept me from giving a five was all phone services was out in rooms and had difficults with turning of tv or finding chanels due to no guide on or of tv. Would stay again if in area.

The staff were very helpful and sympathetic in meeting our needs for this visit. The Front Office Manager, Laramie, was very accommodating in giving us a great rate for an unexpectedly long visit with family in Jacksonville. The evening manager, Bobby Shook, was helpful in correcting some incidentals to our room as well as seeing that our final billing after check out was corrected. The billing problem was not his fault but he was very prompt to straighten out the matter. Bernadette, who oversees the complimentary breakfast each morning, was especially cheerful and helpful in seeing that our needs were met.

I will choose to stay in this hotel next time. Very clean and convenient that is close to NAS JAX if Gateway Inn and NAVY Lodge are all booked up. Although breakfast everyday pretty much the same but it is OK. Hopefully they can provide more different kind of fruit, that will be great.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to a junior suite without asking and was surprised by the size of the room. Very spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The free breakfast was very good. Nice selection of food. The entire staff was helpful and everything was super clean. For me, the outside cats were a plus :-) This will be our go to hotel for all future stays in Jacksonville.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The room was clean. We had a king size bed that was very comfortable. They have a nice breakfast layout in the lobby, with a nice area to sit down and enjoy it. They have a nice little pool area that we enjoyed very much with family. The entire staff was very professional and friendly, especially the Hotel Manager, Laramie. She is awesome! This is the place that we will stay during our visits to Jacksonville.
