    « Beautiful Stay »

We had a fantastic weekend here. The rooms are beautiful. Upgrade to the sea view- it's worth it to sit on the balcony and enjoy the views. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helped make this stay enjoyable. Breakfast was included and very tasty. Great hotel.

    « Southern trip »

Great place to stay on Orange Beach. The room was huge, corner room gave us views of the gulf and the bay. The staff was wonderful, valet was complementary, they were fast and courteous. Lots of amenities, close to Florabama and lots of restaurants.

    « Excellent stay »

Everything about this hotel was excellent, particularly the staff. This was a ?girl's? trip and everything about the stay was outstanding. We discussed this on several occasions and would return to it

    « Very nice hotel »

Beautiful beach, lovely lobby with windows overlooking the beach. BF similar to other chain hotels, very adequate with hot buffet items. Room comfortable with a fridge and microwave. The hotel is located on a very busy major road without sidewalks. There is no dinner available at the hotel so we walked at night to a couple of close restaurants, but it was a bit scary walking alongside speeding traffic on the dark side of the road. Otherwise, it would be easy to get take out and eat in the breakfast area of the lobby or in your room.

« First time at the Tides »

First, let me say that the staff is very patient and accomodating. The breakfast is the best we have had yet, at a hotel chain. The rooms and beds are very updated and clean, but a little in the small side, but this could be bc we didn't have balcony suite. Our only complaint is that extras that we have enjoyed at other nearby, similar hotels were not included or had to be requested. The staff did explain that it is due to people taking liberties and hotel property going missing. All that said, BW the Tides is a solid hotel, but not really worthy of it's "premier" designation. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, but book early for best rates and get a gulfront view room. As for us, we will be trying elsewhere next year, maybe the Phoenix or Caribe.

    « Great Choice! »

We were here with our teenage daughter over spring break. We were impressed with The Tides Hotel. Everything is new and very clean. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. One day we brought lunch in (if you haven't try Lartiques's Fresh Seafood - it's fantastic! You pick what you want, they cook it right there, and you take it with you.) and we asked if it was okay for us to eat in the dining area that is used for breakfast. They answered without hesitation with a big yes! The whole area is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows that showcase the beautiful, white sand beach. Also, there is sweet tea and fruit infused water available 24/7. The location is good, but you do need a car in Orange Beach. The hotel is right on the beach. You can walk out the door and be at the pool, hot tub, and a few steps away from the sand. The breakfast is good and is included in the price of the hotel. Also, one morning we ate out on the outside deck overlooking the ocean. That was fun! Parking was no issue at all - they have a garage and there is no fee.

    « Great stay! »

We were sad to leave. Had a wonderful stay here and will return. Friendly staff and super clean hotel! Beach front and wonderful views from the balcony. It was a little chilly in the gulf so the kids loved the heated pool.

« Nice beach front hotel »

overall very satisfied with all aspects of the hotel, good chance we will be back. Parking was ample and easy. Room was comfortable with a great view. Access to area attractions was easy with no traffic issues. Staff was friendly, room was well maintained.

« Outstanding staff and spectacular surroundings makes me want to be a full time resident »

The staff was so attentive and the facility was scrupulously clean. There is beach maintenance during the night and people come out to well groomed beach front in the morning. The staff we interacted with the most were Anne and Mitzi at the front desk, and Lynn, Breakfast manager. When we wanted to stay longer, Anne was able to help us with that request. This was at the start of Spring Break and they were busy. Mitzi has a smile in her voice. When she put me on hold to check something I didn't mind waiting. Lynn, had recommendations for restaurants. Kaylee had our room ready when we arrived. We were in room 625 . Fantastic view of the beach and Gulf. We left the door open at night so we could hear the surf. The room has good storage space and we did not feel in the least crowed. Mr. Morris, who did the floor maintenance takes so much pride in doing his job. We had a small glitch getting on line and there was a young man to help. Sorry, I don't know his name. Anne got him to help. I was so impressed with this staff. They are a perfect blending and work well with each other. I was so appreciative of the restful environment. Thanks for a Great Stay.

« Good stay with the Grands »

The staff was super nice and kind. We were not happy with the instant breakfast. Initially we were looking to book at the Best Western on the Beach because of the free home cooked breakfast and got this hotel by mistake. Pleased overall with the hotel stay but the breakfast as stated by my grand kids was yuck!

« BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AT BEACHSIDE HOTEL »

A wonderful stay at a lovely hotel which had beautiful views from the dining room or oceanside rooms. Right on the beach with easy walk out, outside pool and hot tub and easy, free parking. Family rooms available with separate bunk bed room for children. The staff were friendly, happy and more than willing to help you, more so than any hotel I have ever stayed in.

    5
« New favorite on the Gulf! »

Two years old, breathtaking beach views, perfectly friendly staff, pool and hot tub, pretty close to restaurants, spotless room, all in all no complaints. We would definitely stay here again. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra for a beach view from your balcony!

    4
« 2nd time staying, still pretty happy! »

This hotel has an EXCELLENT location with the beachfront view, worthwhile to pay extra to get the beachfront view with a super nice balcony to have lunch or drinks on while enjoying the breeze! The internet speed is pretty good around 5mbps for Netflix streaming, as well as the quality of breakfast (which changes daily, we were there for 4 days), the only downside is the value you receive. We paid right around $300/night and you could get a pretty nice AirBNB or condo rental someplace. All in all, would consider here again if the price was right; the beach is really awesome! Also in the future, don't come in March, it is a little too cold still!

« Great Place, poor customer service »

This place is beautiful, room was spectacular, but upon checkin we were double charged on a reservation that was already paid for. Over $800.00 was taken from my checking account and the only response I got from facility and corporate was I'm sorry for the inconvenience but you can contact your banking institution and ask for refund to be expedited. I'm now on day 3 of our 5 day vacation stressing about finances and all you get is my bad, I'm sorry.

    5
    « Perfect »

We were over the moon with the views, beach access, amenities, breakfast and service of this hotel. It was so affordable as well. There's nothing I can honestly say I'd change. It was clean and absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. None of the other hotels around even come close to this for the price. I'll definitely recommend to all friends and family who are visiting Orange Beach/Gulf Shores.

    « Breathtaking property! »

The 4th floor lobby area offers space for a bar, relaxation, internet, breakfast and a spectacular view of the ocean. The provided breakfast buffet is the best provided hotel chain breakfast that I have ever experienced. It is staffed with the most pleasant employees. Hot food is hot and the buffet is super clean. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and luxurious and the bedding is very comfortable. The outdoor pools are crystal clear and so clean. This was our second visit to this property and we were delighted to see that it is well maintained.

    5
    « Gulf getaway »

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Great room and helpful staff. Awesome view from the oceanfront room. Enjoyed the balcony view with a nice glass of wine from the bar. Couldn't be better!!

    5
« Best of the best! »

You will not be disappointed at any part of this BW. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you during your stay. Check out the double queen room with the bunk beds. It was super for the boys and adults!

    5
    « The Tides »

Gulf tides go up and down responding to nature's call, The Tides, a Best Western Premier resort, however, is always up in terms of customer service, friendliness and abundant smiles, comfort and quality regardless of room type,a great breakfast buffet and super ease of access to the beach and gulf (great views of the pier and, as often as not, great dolphin activity as they feast and play in the water!)

    « Sweet Home Alabama »

Last night on the road at the end of a long, rough trip moving from California to Florida - weather, traffic, breakdown, etc. Arrived late to the BEST Best Western ever; what a refuge! Beautiful property and rooms, fantastic value. Next morning was even better, great sunrise breakfast in the wonderful dining room right on the beach. Happy and well rested to continue our trip. Slight billing problem, but night & morning staff were very pleasant and professional overall. Would recommend anytime.

This was a spectacular place to stay. We enjoyed our visit so much that we can't wait to return. The staff was amazing and the hotel was unbelievable. The views were stunning. Best experience in many trips.

« Best Western?...More Like Best Vacation ever! »

The staff are real. They're not just automatons going through the motions! We can't wait to go again! I highly recommend this hotel. The view during the commentary hot breakfast is spectacular, from the large windows of the lobby breakfast are you can see such things as dolphins jumping and angry waves pounding the beach. Thank you for making our vacation wonderful!

    5
    « Exceeded expectations! »

Our family spent a long weekend here and we wish it would have been longer! The hotel is truly stunning. The pool is perfectly heated with beautiful landscaping and has direct ocean views. Our room was immaculately clean and all of the facilities were well cared with tasteful and beachy decor. I cannot say enough about the staff; they were so friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast has many options and is located in their lobby where you dine with a gorgeous view. It is clear this property is well managed and cared for by competent and caring staff. We can't wait to come back and visit soon!

    « What a terrific find! »

What a terrific find! We usually stay in condos when we go to Orange Beach, but we wanted an overnight trip and decided to try this hotel. It's a fairly new hotel and had lots of good reviews, so we booked it. The hotel exceeded our expectations! All the staff was helpful and friendly - front desk, breakfast staff, cleaning staff, everyone. UNFORTUNATELY we don't remember all the names, but Jo, Desmond, and Mitzi at the front desk deserve special recognition. Covered parking, Heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Fire pit. Complementary bicycles available! Complementary breakfast was terrific. Beautiful lobby and dining area with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beach. We extended our stay for an extra night. We are looking forward to coming back!

    « Great place »

This is my first time staying here. It appears very new. It is on the beach. Everything was in top notch condition. No paint chipping off, nothing was marred or dirty (both in the rooms or in the halls), and the facilities available were numerous. The rooms were immaculate. It was obvious the property was perfectly managed. Your parking is free and in a building. Floors 1 - 3 are a ramp. Floor 4 is the office where you check in and register. This is also where the included breakfast is served. The view over looking the beach while eating breakfast is unbelievable. The food available is hot and cold with many items available. One of the best we have had. There is a pool and hot tub overlooking the beach. They are very clean. I have nothing negative to say about this place.

« Real jewe...l even in the rain. »

What a nice spot, we visited here in late January, unfortunately the weather was not nice. Heavy rain and chilly. We parked our car below the hotel and took the elevator to the 4th floor lobby. What a wow factor, the lobby/ eating area had a very large window over looking the Gulf of Mexico, it almost seemed like a cruise ship view, just spectacular. We were greeted by very friendly front desk staff and had a well appointed side ocean view room. Our nice size balcony overlooked the beach and the Blvd area, great views both day and night. This was our first visit to Alabama and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately we were moving on to Florida the next day and never had the chance to see the sun shine here. This place is a real jewel...even in the rain.

« Best kept surprise! Pictures are from day of check out!!! »

Pretty sweet hotel with nice amenities and guest rooms. Our room had a separate kiddie room with double bunk beds and a separate tv. The kids loved it, especially as it was their first time sleeping in bunk beds. The lobby area was pretty sweet with the breakfast area attached, open view windows, many seating options, and a view over looking the beach. The hotel staff, from front desk to kitchen personnel, were all very friendly and inviting. We received a recommendation for food to go to the Shrimp Basket, and it was definitely with it; always nice to get a local favorite!!! The room itself was a nice size, clean, and can't really complain about it. To get to the attractions we wanted to visit, there was a short, but comfortable drive attached; nothing too out the way. The pool was of a nice design and warmed/ heated, which helped with the chilly, windy conditions (couldn't enjoy it as long as we would have liked for fear of getting kids sick). Didn't ever the fitness center, but it was there with the usual accommodations (treadmill, free weights, assisted weighted machine, and usual cardio options). Wi-Fi suited the needs of the kids to not have you bother about hotspot. The access to the beach was pretty straight forward right outside the pool area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and extended from the original (1) night stay to (2) nights. We will definitely stay again!!!

    « Great place! »

Me and my husband came here for a quick weekend getaway and this place was awesome. The staff was always super helpful and friendly. The room was great and I loved the covered parking, plus the breakfast was really good too! If we travel here again I would definitely book this place again.

    « Long weekend »

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The attention to details everywhere, including even the bathrooms was really nice to see. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the lady who worked the breakfast went above and beyond. This was the best Best Western I have ever been to.

« Winter is beach time too! »

It was overcast and cold but you wouldn't know it by the staff. Thanks for the always upbeat greetings and buffet breakfast. Our very spacious ocean front suite had a great patio and its own Keurig. Great location to rest and reflect what an amazing world we live in. Thank you again for a great escape. Your staff goes above and beyond with customer service. Perfect 10 for cleanliness in the suite and common areas.

    « Nice surprise »

Having stayed In hotels all over the world I never have high expectations of average prices hotels. This was a pleasant surprise, the hotel is newly decorated and very clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Sheri who was a gem and one of the hardest workers I have seen. Breakfast was good. Rooms a nice size and location seemed central.

« Chilling out, literally in Alabama »

Made arrangements in November hoping to get away from the Pittsburgh arctic freeze.Temp in orange Beach was in the 55-65 range all the way up until we got there....LOL The 2018 Arctic Freeze followed us down, it ended up in the teens two nights and mid forties and real breezy most of the stay. We made the best of it and saw many local things. It was a nice trip. This hotel is brand new with a wonderful staff and rooms. You won't be unhappy here....just go when its a little warmer...

    5
    « A hidden Jewel »

This property is a hidden waterfront jewel with an inviting & spacious lobby with a great view of the Gulf of Mexico and a few steps from the beach. What a refreshing experience it was to be surrounded by first-class professional customer service personnel. I want to particularly recognize Desmond Tolen, Assistant General Manager, for his professionalism, efficiency, friendliness and most helpful ways to make all guests feel welcome and at home. My husband and I are already making plans to return. And? I don't want to forget to mention that their buffet breakfast is worth waking up early.

    5
    « Loved it! »

My husband and I booked an ocean view room with two queens and bunk beds. I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. The view was FANTASTIC. The lobby has wall to wall , floor to ceiling windows that allow you to see the snow-white sandy beaches and emerald waters of Orange Beach, Alabama for miles. Our room had an ocean front view balcony where we could sit and watch the sunrise and sunset each day. I loved the beachy decor and everything was very clean. Two of our grandchildren stayed one night and when my granddaughter asked the staff if they had any games she could play, they sent up and connected an Xbox for her! The breakfast was THE BEST of any hotel we've stayed at. Kudos to Lynn! From the time we arrived Ann, Mitzi, Jeana, and other staff were so friendly and helpful. Mitzi and Ann went above and beyond to answer our questions and make our stay a wonderful one. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

« Wonderful, affordable beach resort! »

We have been so pleased with this hotel. It is situated right on the beach and the view is absolutely gorgeous! The attendant at the check-in desk was extremely friendly and kind. She made us feel very welcome. We chose to spend the extra money to upgrade to a room with a oceanside balcony and we are very happy that we did. The entire hotel was furnished beautifully with modern furniture and it had a really calming beach vibe to it. The lobby is on the fourth floor and includes floor-to-ceiling windows that you can sit by as you eat their complementary breakfast. It is served buffet style with a large variety of food. The food was very good and one of the chefs offered to make me some fresh fried eggs. Later, she came to clean up our plates and she gave everyone at our table some Mardi Gras beads. The pool was heated and it was very relaxing. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. The view from the room was perfect and we woke up to the ocean out if the huge wall of windows. There is not a single complaint. They even have several bikes that guests can use to ride around the beach area. Their fitness center had yoga mats, dumbbells, cardio machines, TV's, and a cable machine. We were extremely satisfied with this hotel and it was the best one we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. We enjoyed our stay so much that we came back on our way home.

Amazing hotel with the best front desk staff and service I have ever experienced. Rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and well upkept. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beach getaway.

    « Weekend getaway »

Great hotel with immediate beach access. We had a great time just staying at the hotel and walking across the street to eat dinner. The only downfall that I saw was it was a lil pricey but overall we would stay again.

    « Amazing hotel! »

This place is gorgeous! The rooms are beautiful. Stayed in an ocean front room with a balcony and fabulous views. The lobby/bar/breakfast area is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows. You can enjoy your morning coffee or complimentary breakfast at a table overlooking the beach. Spotted a pod of dolphins swimming past while eating breakfast. Stayed during December, so didn't use the pool, but it had a really nice setup with a poolside bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything you need.

    « WOW »

Took a long road trip on our way to Austin Tx. Felt the need for a little beach time and found the Tides Hotel. About an hour off the trip route on interstate 10, it is really worth the detour. Mitzi welcomed us and told us all about the Hotel. The draw of course was the beach which has unbelievable sand and fantastic gulf views. Herons everywhere and almost no one else around. It was cold but still bearable for walks on the beach. We stayed two nights. Every morning Lynn made sure we had what we wanted for breakfast. She even offered to cook eggs that were not out. Best buffet breakfast we have experienced. Room was great, shower, towels, etc. top notch. We will seriously think about going back. Orange Beach was never in our plans but we are so happy to discover this area.

    5
    « extraordinary hotel »

The architecture on the hotel is very modern. The rooms were had all the modern conveniences you could want. Plenty of plug ins for electronics both usb and standard wall outlets. Flat screen TV. Keurig coffee maker, microwave & refrigerator. No additional charge for wi-fi. Overall a great experience.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

The hotel is only about a year and a half old but they are maintaining it very well.. The pool is heated so swimming in the winter is not a problem. The open lobby is very nice and the entire place makes your feel at home. I will most definitely stay here again!

« The good, bad and the ugly »

My husband and I stayed here Dec 18-23, 2016 and everything was fabulous! This year we booked our daughter and grandson 2 nights Dec 28-30, 2017. I must say we were disappointed. Things really changed ina year. Her room was a king beach view room. Great room and balcony view of the beach. The shower is in need of some touching up and looks icky around the bottom edge. Very spacious shower though. I am a professional cook and was super impressed with last years breakfast buffet. This year, not so good, to us. I do enjoy that there is tea, lemonade, coffee or hot chocolate available all times. Lovely breakfast area looking out on the gulf, watching the dolphins swim. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not complaints there. All in all I like the hotel and would consider it again. We are just disappointed this year.

    5
    « Great hotel! »

Love the balcony view of the gulf! Love the 4th floor Lobby with a great view an atmosphere! The hot tub was nice, didn't try the pool due to the cold (even though it's heated) but it looked nice. Property is practically new (opened in either 2015 or 2016, can't remember) so it's very nice!

    5
« Great hotel, great views »

Excellent breakfast! Great views! Professional and friendly staff! Highly recommend. A little pricey but the amenities make it worth it. Love the tea and coffee available 24 hrs, and the hot home-cooked breakfast is terrific.

    4
« Great resort for the money »

The hotel is very nice, the breakfast is amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach is beautiful and the hotel is close to good restaurants. My only complaint is that they do not have enough parking, so you might have to park across the highway and walk over.

    5
    « 2017 Beach Christmas »

WOW I give this hotel a 10 FIVE STAR RATING BEST OF THE BEST!!!! Everything was perfect for our Christmas getaway. Mitzi was SUPER NICE and very helpful. Breakfast staff was awesome food was yummy!! WE WILL BE BACK SOON!!!

    5
    « A Lovely Gulf View »

We spent two nights at this hotel right on the Gulf. The room was airy and spacious with a balcony facing the water. We enjoyed the exercise room and the hot tub and pool. The staff is well informed and helpful. The location is on the quiet, outer edge of Orange Beach but close to many restaurants in the area.

    5
« This is the place! »

This is a new hotel, about 18 months old. It sits RIGHT on the beach and is just beautiful! All the facilities were great, the location is great and the price was right. We will absolutely be staying here again. We enjoyed the breakfast and the daily sweet tea and lemon water was a nice touch. The lobby was on the 4th floor so you could get a great view of the beach while eating the free full breakfast served 6-10 AM. I'd advise getting a beach view room. A few dollars more, but worth it!

  • 5
« Best boutique hotel on the beach! »

We loved staying here because it is beautiful, clean, well decorated and it's placed perfectly without any high-rise condos on either side. It's only 7 stories so not overwhelmingly big. Great hot breakfast is complimentary. Staff even offered to prepare custom orders! They had a lovely Christmas tree in the spacious lobby overlooking the beach. Free wifi, free covered parking, balcony with chairs, heated pool, and luscious hot tub! Short walk out to the sand. Just perfect- everything!

    5
« Superior quality hotel with friendly staff. »

Great beach front hotel with superior quality rooms, breakfast and staff. Beautiful view overlooking the white sands and the Gulf of Mexico; stunning views of the sunrise and sunsets. Absolutely no hesitation to recommend. Will definitely be staying there again.

    5
    « Perfect Getaway! »

If you like to look out over the Gulf of Mexico whether you are in your room or eating breakfast; this is a great place to do it! Also, to be able to walk right out onto the beach without taking more than a few steps. There are loads of places to eat very close to the hotel, even in walking distance. Many places to see, great scenic drives along the gulf also. Another little plus about this hotel is that it has a parking garage and that is always a plus when it is raining!! The staff here were all wonderful too! Love it and can't wait to visit again!

    5
« Great Place to Stay! »

Comfortable and clean room, all amenities supplied. Would stay here again. Friendly staff. New Hotel. Winter months, so very quiet. Bar was good and service very friendly. View was of other building next door.

    5
« Great place to spend a few days. »

We spent 3 nights here in December. What a bright, cheerful place. Seemed brand new. Lovely lobby and breakfast, bar area overlooking the beach and ocean. Room was new, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was laid out like a high end hotel buffet. Very attentive staff at front desk and in breakfast area. Whole hotel was kept very clean and neat. All in all, a wonderful time and at a very reasonable price. I would come back here again.

    5
    « Best Experience »

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel and beach are gorgeous! Lobby has an amazing view. Pool is heated. Easy access to the beach. Parking is very convenient and covered. Hoping to visit again soon.

    « Soccer tournament weekend »

We were in town for our son's soccer tournament and will definitely stay here again. The hotel is in a great location, wonderful beach, the kids loved the heated pool, and the breakfast was delicious!

« Great find right on beach! »

Great value for what you get. Location on beach is amazing. Pool and bar below hotel on beach were great. Rooms were clean and new. View from lobby on 4th floor made the breakfast experience perfect. Games in lobby for kids were a huge hit. Will definitely stay at The Tides on any future trips to Orange Beach.

    5
« Great Price and Beautiful View »

This was the best deal we could find for a beach front hotel. Views we're gorgeous, the pool was nice. Free breakfast was vast with a lot to choose from; breakfast included is a must when you're bringing kids, we could wake up and walk to the restaurant/lounge, eat until we couldn't eat any more, then walk right out to the beach ?? Definitely a great place to bring the kiddos!

    4
    « Great Value!! »

Great value! New and clean, suite w/bunkroom great for families; wonderful location and breakfast. Decor above average for this price point hotel. Only complaint would be that bedroom a/c blows straight on bed and no way to redirect. Had to turn completely off to sleep.

We travel a lot in our retirement years and every once in a while you come across a place that well exceeds your expectations. This was one of those places. Desmond Tolen went out of his way to make sure our stay was pleasant. We were going to just spend one night on our way to Florida for the winter, but we liked it so much we stayed an extra night.

The Tides at Orange Beach impressed us from the time we arrived until our checkout two days later. The parking was great; signs with instructions on how to access the lobby were understandable; the lobby was beautiful; the staff was very nice and helpful; the room was so nice and serene; view couldn't have been any better; the bed was super comfy and the sheets were excellent; the hot tub was so relaxing; the fire pit and sectional was a nice touch at the end of the day; the continental breakfast had a huge selection and was really tasty! What more can I say? It was a great place and value. I would love to stay here again!

Every time that I come to Orange Beach I am sure to stay here. By far my favorite hotel in OB! The location is gorgeous, the staff goes above and beyond, the rooms are always clean, and the ease of checking in and out are awesome!

This is our second Best Western Premier we have stayed at and they are a well kept secret. These places offer above average accommodations at excellent prices. The staff at every one have been beyond friendly. Do yourself a favor and check out Best Western. You won't be disappointed.

We loved it. Great parking garage and easy access to rooms. Room was spacious, clean and our balcony looking at beach ocean was great. We loved the look of the hotel. The pool was great. We have a tough time walking sometimes and had no issues with hotel or even walking to the beach. Loved it. So relaxing and the hotel just gave off a good vibe. Had fun driving around and looking at area. Tried the "Gulf to go" food deliver for pizza and highly recommend they come to your room. Ate our pizza on the balcony. Was a great stay.

The Best Western Premier property was built with the consumer in mind. With every detail of the chalk boards on each floor and main areas with messages to "enjoy the beach life" really add the extra to your vacation. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have every amenity you need. We had an oversized balcony which was amazing to have 240 degree views of the beach, bay lagoons and East Orange Beach. The staff is attentive and eager to help with every request. Breakfast was a nice and the view made it excellent facing the beach with floor to ceiling windows. The pool was heated which is surprising given it is off season. When looking to stay in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, stop searching, this is THE place!

« Amazing Property and even a better staff »

By far one of the best properties that we have stayed, we plan to make it an annual event. The staff helped make our 50th anniversary celebration delightful as well as memorable. Bravo and well done. We will be back!

« Excellent Hotel With Great Staff »

My wife and I have stayed at the Tides 5-6 times in the past year. A great hotel and excellent staff. Beautiful beach, pool and hot tub. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I have had anywhere. Good value for the money.

Stayed at this hotel as a last minute trip to OB. The hotel was very clean. Room was a good size with a mini frig and balcony. Breakfast, which was good, was included. It has a nice but small outside pool and bar. It is on the beach in a desirable section of Orange Beach. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel for the price.

Wow, I was very satisfied with my stay. The scene from the lobby/breakfast area is amazing, a great view of the beach. The breakfast was good and nice variety. The rooms are made for family vacations, a nice lil room with bunk beds for the kids. The king bed is nice and comfy. I will definitely stay there again if in the area

This was my family's first trip to Orange Beach in AL. We absolutely fell in love with it and look forward to the next time we are able to come down for a vacation. It was very peaceful. The hotel was so pretty and the breakfast was so yummy.

« Nice, Clean Hotel on a Fantastic Beach »

We stayed here for 3 nights and found this hotel very modern, clean, and well appointed. The room size was more than adequate, however, the bathroom was just a tad small but very functional. The entire facility was well maintained. It provided a full breakfast and had a bar facility. Unfortunately, I did have a concern with the attitude of the front desk personnel when I checked in as she was less than friendly, but that was only one person out of the entire staff. The housekeeping staff went out of their way as far as customer service and all were extremely friendly. The actually acted like they liked their jobs. Additionally, there were some extremely obnoxious guests in the pool area each night which caused us to leave that area. I understand this is beyond the control of the hotel. Overall, this is a nice, clean well maintained facility on a pristine beach and I would stay here again.

We felt the staff made sincere efforts to please. Keys didn't work first time around, need them to access pool and common areas in addition to room. Bar had limited selections This web site is pathetic.

An amazing, immaculate hotel property with excellent value right on the Gulf. With an excellent sugary sand beach and the warm Gulf waters, we'd love to go back to this Best Western. The staff was terrific and the beach front view is awesome!

« GET AWAY TO THE COAST »

My Wife Kathryn and I got to the gulf coast to relax from our lake house in Georgia so we have tried it all. The rental House are one of our preferred places to stay but after the Tides it may change our thinking. We love the access to the beach and proximity to good restaurants and Zeke's Marina for fishing trips. Great breakfast and balcony beside the Lobby (which we used quite often) great rooms we stayed in an inland room and used the hotel balcony for our coffee and wine overlooking the ocean. Great lobby on the 4th floor which took a little getting use to. The last day we had a slight insect problem in our room but after calling the front desk Gina the Manager was right there and handle the situation for use we were treated very well will be going back as soon as we are able. The las day we were there my wife fell and broke her shoulder at a near by restaurant, so it may be a couple of weeks. Thanks again to a great staff, Jesse & Kathryn

My wife and I enjoyed our October beach trip to the Alabama coast. This was our first stay at BWP the Tides in Orange Beach, and it won't be our last. The place is modern, clean, friendly, and a great value. Beach access is wonderful. The breakfast is great. The lobby is awesome, and the people are friendly.

« Outstanding Value in a Great Location even in the "inland" rooms. »

This is a great hotel with a very reasonable price. It really helps that this is a newly built hotel (2017). It not only has great decor and amenities, but is a really smart design for Hurricane prone areas (the firs three floors are parking making this a much safer hotel if flooding should occur). The common areas are really beautiful and functional. The guest balcony is great, and the pool, hot tub, and balcony are all nice for the size of the hotel (somewhat smaller hotel means fewer guests sharing these spaces). My family stayed in one of the "Inland" rooms with bunk beds. Although these lack a balcony and direct beach views, they are fantastic rooms for a family and the common spaces in the hotel are great for views and hanging out. The pool is rather small, but the outdoor bar and overall layout of the common areas make this a really fun hotel to enjoy. It is unfortunate that the nearby fishing pier is private access for another property, but the location on Orange Beach is excellent for this hotel. There are a lot of great little features at the Tides, like free water refills at the Brita filler station, free Keurig Coffee, free breakfast, free parking, etc. This makes the cost of the stay very reasonable and predictable. I highly recommend it to families or couples.

« Great hotel and location! »

We just got back from a weeks stay at BW the tides and I have nothing but good things to say! We read the reviews before we booked as we always do and the all seemed pretty good. When we arrived my wife stripped everything off the beds to check and make sure there were not uninvited guests. Not because she suspected it, just because that is what she always does. It passed her test. The only thing we did find was a water bottle that had fallen behind the night stay. I cannot say enough about the pool and hot tub area overlooking the beach. I could watch my family on the beach while I was swimming in the pool! The staff was incredible. From the front desk workers to one of the managers, Desmond. That guy was made for the hospitality industry. The lady that took care of cleaning up the breakfast area on Monday and Tuesday was about as sweet and polite as they come. I think her name was Beverly. Even one of the night shift guys talked with us for awhile and gave us some local info while sharing a hot dog with us on the provided grill. He even knew that was what we were planning on doing for dinner that night so he made sure the grill was clean for us and ready to go! Overall a great place to stay and would definitely return!

« Perfect hotel for our family of 5! »

It's so nice to find a hotel for a family of 5! Our room had 2 queen beds and a small alcove with 2 bunks, a tv, and 2 beanbag chairs. The closet was large with a mirror, ironing board and outlet, shelves, and wire basket drawers. The lobby is on the 4 th floor providing a gorgeous view for enjoying the free breakfast. They serve a much nicer free breakfast than the typical hotel. Real eggs, sausage, breakfast tortillas, waffles, pancakes.... and flatware wrapped in a cloth napkin! The beach was just steps from the pool area. Nice pool and hot tub area. We loved it. Especially the winter rates!

This is a great hotel very clean, employees are friendly and helpful, rooms are quiet, breakfast was really good, all parking is under roof and the location is good, a easy in and out. We stayed here three nights and loved it. When back in Orange beach this will be our hotel.

« Great view but management needed to be on the same page :) »

I didn't get the room I paid for due to a hurricane. My room was much smaller. I was not happy with the refund due to being told one amount and receiving a different amount. The atmosphere was excellent and the people were nice but didn't seem to have time for my complaints or there was just really nothing they could do about them. I was a really nice place other than that.
