My family & I had a wonderful experience at the Tides during our family vacation! The ocean view was breathtaking, room was clean & comfortable, staff was friendly & helpful, food was delicious & the pool/sauna was the best! It was overall an amazing time & I highly recommend this hotel. We felt very safe & at home here with our young children.

We absolutely had a blast and very compatible with our toddler! Has the absolute best breakfast view. Worth every penny right on the beach. Clean, comfortable, and they have everything literally at the hotel from drinks to pizza to towels and sunscreen you really don't have to leave to go get anything!

The staff is so friendly and really made the trip amazing. The facilities are clean and easy to navigate, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby to visit. The beds are soft and the breakfast each morning was so well made and full of variety! I really can't say enough good stuff about this place. They make you want to come back as soon as possible.

Great time at the Tides! Super clean and comfy hotel. Zay and Sierra took great care of us (go dominate you 2!) Marianna at the pool bar was super friendly. The beach is amazing. Very clean. White sand, very large. The team worked so hard preparing for the “suits” during inspection, which I'm sure they passed with flying colors! Looking forward to a return trip!

The Tides Staff are an amazing group that creates a true welcoming environment!!! They are more like family than a business! Everyone wants you to have the best experience while visiting Orange Beach! The layout of The Tides offers captivating views, job well done! Staff are always productive, cleaning, and serving! Exceptional!

Just a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice. Room was very clean. Pool and bar area was awesome. The Lobby has windows all around and the scenery was spectacular. Employees were always working and cleaning the building and the grounds. Just had a mini vacation, we will be back.

This is our 3rd spring break here. The hotel is always clean and smells fresh. The staff is very pleasant and has awesome customer service. The breakfast is no longer complimentary but it is reasonable and very good. We will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay. The staff is very friendly. They even have a number to text for any needs. We didn't need housekeeping services daily, but when we did we just texted that number and they responded quickly. We also left a bag, the front desk called and will have UPS send it to us! Great trip!

The Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly! There was easy access to the beach. I would definitely stay here again. My entire family enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Having access to pool/beach towels is definitely a plus and very convenient.

The tides always delivers on a great experience! You never even have to question! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the people are amazing. It's a must when you want to be on the beach. We have been coming down since it opened and they are maintaining a top notch facility!

Good relaxing stay for a vacation. Right in the beach and very accommodating. I really like the most that I was informed of any charges. That makes me plan out my budget for my trip even better. The breakfast was good and we ate outside on the patio over looking the beach. The lobby view is to die for.The room was right for my family of 6 with the bunk bed room for my boys. They loved that the room came with an Xbox for them to play! The staff was very friendly and very accommondating. I will be back this summer and when I'm there it will be my hotel of choice. Would recommend.

This place was super sanitary and well kept. The staff was so helpful and kind. I would give this place a million out of ten points just on the staff alone! They were AMAZING! If we go back this is where we will be staying! Keep it up you guys you're doing great!

The tides is so beautiful & the beach view is a plus. Very nice beautiful clean environment , we absolutely did not want to leave! All the staff were very nice & friendly especially Trisania , omg you guys have a sweet soul on yall hands ! Loved her ! Thanks so much for everything. We will be back

Love the view and the pool ! The room is clean and spacious ! Quiet and lovely. The lobby is stunning - house keeping is great and the room is well kept through out. But don't like the fact the breakfast is now a paid breakfast- overall it was fantastic

If we had never been to the Tides, we probably would have rated our visit 4 or 5 stars. But this was our 3rd visit and things were radically different. What we had LOVED about the place was the free breakfast with breathtaking view, and the wonderful coffee machine that allowed us to make coffee or cocoa any time of day, exactly as we liked it. The staff, too, were wonderful: cheerful, laid back, helpful. But just a week or two before our stay, "management" had done away with the free breakfast and the magic coffee machine. Now the breakfast is $15 per person, and you have to order coffee from the bar. We had been grandfathered in since we had made our reservation long ago, so we got the breakfast free, but now instead of just walking in, choosing a seat, and helping ourselves, you are supposed to wear or carry a wrist band (for the entire stay, we were told when we checked in--I almost turned around and left then!), then check in at a hostess stand. You don't get to ponder where to sit because a staff member now follows you and asks if you want coffee. The (complimentary at breakfast) coffee is bitter, no matter how much sugar you add, and they didn't have any non-dairy creamer for me as I was able to get in the past. But the worst part is that you've got this person assigned to you, making it obvious that they expect a tip. The whole feel is unpleasant compared to the ease of seating and helping ourselves as before. There had only been one woman running the entire room, cleaning the tables and chatting cheerfully with everyone. Now there's a bunch of uptight young people who are vying for tables. They have added a few more items to the breakfast, but still, with a $30 price tag now on it (plus tip), we felt that if we came back in the future, we wouldn't pay it and sleep later. There was a lot of new staff and the one desk clerk that we had really enjoyed talking to had less hours, so we only saw her once. Not seeing her familiar friendly face when we checked in and went to breakfast also added to our feeling that things weren't as nice as before. Last year, there was a lot of excitement over Mardi Gras, and they were giving away beads and Moon Pies. This year, there was a small decoration on the front desk with some beads in it, but it seemed that they were not for taking but only for decoration. We almost checked out after two days and went somewhere else, but I was able to find a flash sale online for the very room we were staying in: by checking out and then rebooking our room, I was able to save $200 over our original booking. (The front desk clerk "couldn't" help me with it--apparently saving $ is the guest's responsibility.) In conclusion, we had planned to make this a yearly stay in Jan/Feb, but now we will be looking to see where else to go. The Tides now seems like any other hotel where $ is more important than the guests.

The beds were not very good. The pillows were flat and gave no support even with multiples. Parking is very tight. Was not easy to find one that wasn't next to a wall. Shower was fine. Good pressure and hot water. But the beds were the worst

The Hotel was clean and nice but my reservation was wrong. Only 1 room left but was $200 more. Ice machine was broken, called 4 different times for pizza no one ever answered. Noise was awful. Heard traffic from the bedroom. Could see and hear traffic from balcony. People smoking on balconies and were not supposed to. I am allergic to smoke and it caused migraine.

Enjoyed our stay at The Tides. Beautiful hotel, pool and beach! All the employees are very friendly and helpful. Great location in Orange Beach. Hotel is clean, comfortable. Breakfast is delicious , something different every day. We had a great time.

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous view, great location; close to good restaurants & short drive for shopping; comfortable room & beds; friendly, helpful staff; nice heated pool, hot tub & too bar!! Bartender was friendly & made some great drinks!! All this & right on the beach!! Will definitely stay again.

The hotel was really nice clean with rooms with a view of the ocean for a decent price. The Best Best Western I have stayed at . The staff were all friendly. the pool bar was good with a great bartender. Walk out to the beach from the hotel. Hotel is close enough to town. Breakfast was good although you had to pay a small fee for it.

Beautiful facility. 5th floor accessible room was quiet, very spacious. Comfy bed. Nice deck. Staff was gracious, helpful. I didn't do b'fast, not an early riser. Direct access to beach. Covered parking, but not free. Good location in heart of Orange Beach.

Great staff, location, room, breakfast buffet, pool, and access to beach. The view of the beach for breakfast was amazing. LOVED our king bed room with 2 bunk beds — perfect for our fam of 4. Very clean place. Can't say enough about the entire staff — they are so wonderful! Soooo easy to get to the beach.

Great service, check in smooth, staff was professional. Hot tub broken first day & hotel had it repaired overnight. Awesome! Trusted the reviews. Can't say enough how pleased we were with our stay, very relaxing and perfect being right on the beach....

The experience from check in to check out has been by far the best in a very long time. We definitely received more than what we paid for or expected. The staff was super nice and caring. They all seem very happy with taking care of the guests. The hotel was super clean, the towels very white and not like thrift store / good will old towels. The breakfast area was incredible food and delicious. Location was just perfect r walk for church, restaurants and just to look around.

We had a good stay at this Best Western. Disappointed to find they charged $15 for breakfast. When I made our reservation, breakfast was free. Found The Ugly Diner which was very good for breakfast. Also, $11 per day for parking which was not terrible. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice with waterfront balcony. Would consider this location again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay here. It feels very safe, secure, and clean. We would love to comeback and spend more time. The location is perfect and the views are great. We did not eat breakfast because of the cost, but it wouldn't deter us from staying again. We didn't use the pool either but it looked nice.

Changes from December '23 is reason for very good rather than excelent rating. Neither of the noticeable changes would be cause for not considering future stays. December '23 stay breakfast was included but is now charged. Still a quality breakfast but for the price I will go eat at a restaurant. Coffee machine available 24hrs in the lobby during December '23 stay has now been removed & replaced with water dispensers.

Great location, on beach with plenty of shopping and restaurants! Comfortable room with plenty of storage space, safe, microwave and fridge! Hotel was very clean! Great access to pool and beach! Very impressed with the staff that continually made sure that everything was ok from before check in to check out.

My son reserved our room about 2 months before our trip starting January 20th to January 24th. Breakfast was included per website. After arriving at the hotel and at breakfast podium on January 21, was told Monday and Tuesday's breakfast would be $14.99 per person because of policy change. My son did not really want to address the issue. I DO want it addressed. I feel because of when this reservation was made, we should not have been made to pay that fee for the breakfast we paid for months prior. I realize and know my son used his points for this reservation. Don't know if it's been done as of yet, but I suggest the website be changed to “no breakfast” included and show the amount if you choose to eat on property. I will say property was very nice, as was the staff and breakfasts provided with the booking. That is not the issue here. I feel this was unfair to my son and me. It is not the amount, but the principle. Thank you. Room 704

My room was super clean and spacious, had a view of the beach. Lobby is very spacious, clean, inviting, and has a beach view as well. Super friendly staff members. Great breakfast menu everyday with lots of choices, I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great hotel along the beach. Good parking available. Little different than most hotels as the lobby and check in is up on the 4th floor. Spacious area for check in and the staff was extremely friendly. Decorated very nicely for the holidays and great view of the ocean. Room was very comfortable will everything you need and nice balcony. Very quiet. Breakfast was good and had everything you need. Very clean throughout the entire facility. Look forward to my next trip to the area and will stay here again

Last min family getaway , the rooms were clean and the staff was excellent.. breakfast was delicious get variety for everyone . We were able to eat outside and experience breakfast by the beach it was so relaxing

This hotel was better than the pictures online. It was the cleanest hotel I've stayed in and every amenity was carefully thought out for their customers. We loved the delicious breakfast and overall customer service. The view was beautiful and we will definitely stay here again!

We love Orange Beach and the Tides. We have stayed here 3 times and will stay here again. This isn't a big hotel but it is nice. The beach location and access is great. Free breakfast is very good and has just about anything you could want. All areas are always clean and neat. Also has easy access to restaurants and shopping. Staff is friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms may be a little pricey but not terrible. Rooms may be on the smaller side for some, but why sit in the room? Sit on the beautiful white sand beach!

Omg!!! I love this place. The balcony with the look to the beach is great! The breakfast and all staff were excellent. The pool next to the bar lounge was perfect. At night the pool was beautiful with the LED lights lit up. Overall was an amazing experience! It was a great gift from my family for my bday. Thank you very much

Loved everything about this property! The staff was excellent, great convenient location, excellent breakfast buffet, nice rooms, clean pool area, beautiful stretch of beach. My only areas that could have been improved upon were the too firm mattresses and the scratchiness of the towels (if you are sunburned, it will be torture!). All in all, excellent and will be our go-to place to stay :)

Customer service was excellent especially Courtney and Robin. Perfect location and atmosphere. First time in Alabama and just stayed at another hotel for conference and finished time at The Tides. Will return next year!

It is very clear that the staff of this hotel make customer service their number 1 priority! They were the friendliest, most helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I honestly can not recommend a better place!

The first room assigned to us smelt like pee. They quickly moved us. I couldn't really complain because they were letting us check in 2 hrs early. The second room coffee pot broke and refrigerator broke over night. They did fix it as soom as we told them. The refigerator issue was a little sad lost a bit of cash on food that spoiled. However the hotel staff was always willing to fix or help. We told them about the fridge at breakfast, when we got done eating, we went back to the room and it was replaced already. They were always kind. The rooms were clean. The elevator is slow. The bar by the pool makes a great drink. The breakfast was very good. Very family friendly by the hotel. We had a nice view of the water and was impressed by most of the accomidations. So for a hotel to habe issues thats normal, but the fact they fixed it immediately put them in the 5 star spot for me.

This hotel is a little gem. Forget everything you think about Best Western. Service is excellent. Great staff. Angie that works the very early morning shift is very helpful and got my day started on the right foot. Scott and Miriana (I know I didn't spell it correctly) are great at the bar. Rooms are clean. Pool area is nice and clean. Excellent walkway to the beach. Beach chairs are available. The beach area was never crowded. We will be back!

Everything about our stay was wonderful! Will definitely be back! The breakfast was outstanding, the view was wonderful, the staff were amazing and served the guests with smiles and the location was so convenient!

I try and give honest reviews on hotels wherever I go and this one is no different except…. please understand it is MY OPINION of why I gave it an average rating. The property is very clean and had nice accommodations. The staff were all pleasant and while the breakfast did not change too much over the course of our stay, it was nicely done. Now you are wondering,”what could be wrong?” Well, as a guest you need to wear these plastic bands at all times..when you are using the amenities and eating breakfast. I was informed by management that they will be upgrading to a silicone band instead of plastic and the breakfast will be upgraded with seating options and will soon become NON COMPLIMENTARY! This band wearing did not stop those non guests from using the facilities as my husband and I witnessed first hand during our stay. So the burden of their security issues are put back onto the consumer and personally I do not believe if I am paying for the accommodations and now if I was to return, I will have to pay for breakfast and still wear a tag at all times. No thank you. Not for me.

The hotel and staff were great. My only complaint was with the tv service, direct tv. The reception was in and out. TV service should be upgraded not a satellite on the beach with the wind continuously knocking it out.

Love the safety features, felt that our family & grandchildren were safe, breakfast is delicious, staff are very friendly & helpful, there is always staff cleaning , love that! Excellent location . Can't wait to go back

Great place. Very nice people, great handmade pizza, not overly packed. Just need to add some lights at the pool area. One downside is the fact that the peir is for a different hotel. Would have been nice to be able to walk out there.

We arrived after traveling 13 hours just to be informed our room was gulf view. I showed the associate my email stating beachfront and she stated no it meant gulf view. I asked for a manager and she said no one was working today. I asked her to contact management and after an hour she did. It took another hour before a manager arrived just to inform me it meant gulf view. I stated that's not what I purchased and showed him my email. He still stated it meant gulf view and that's what I purchased. After 4 hours he finally relented and we received our beachfront room. I have never been treated this way before here since we frequent this hotel each year except last year for our wedding Anniversary. I hope the management team reaches out to me. If they'd purchase a few days for us to return next summer I may reconsider this hotel again.

Beautiful hotel! Big lobby with an awesome view of the ocean. Nice, clean pool. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious! Lots of options. The beach was amazing and right out the back of the hotel. Walking distance to a good restaurant across the street. I would have loved more options for food on site. Short drive the the Wharf, restaurants, and local bars. Overall perfect place to stay in Orange Beach.

This hotel was perfect. The location, the room, the view of the beach from the room, and check in/out was smooth. The breakfast buffet was awesome!!!! I definitely enjoyed my stay and I recommend this hotel.

When arrived we had a few hiccups getting checked in with an error on the third party booking site we had booked through. Due to an update pending through the system we waited just under 10 minutes & were able to sort it out & check in. Absolutely Beautiful & clean rooms. Spacious with nice amenities provided with the room. Keurig coffee pot with coffee & sugar/creamer. Bar located at the pool was a very nice upgrade to your average hotel pool. Overall very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stay on the beach for a quick stay. Will be back again if the need arises.

We've stayed at this hotel for the past two years because it is amazing! The view from the lobby is incredible. There is also a balcony in the lobby where breakfast is served that is wonderful. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. There are always fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, fresh scrambled eggs. Bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast sticks, and biscuits and gravy are served on a rotational schedule and are always hot. The rooms are clean, fresh, and welcoming. The pool is great with an incredible view. The staff are very helpful and friendly. And best of all the beach is just a few steps away.

Service was excellent! Employees were friendly and welcoming with a smile. Eager to help and answer any questions we had. Bartenders were great as well. Best ran hotel I've been too in a very long time.

They saved us from a crappy vacation at a dump hotel (Beachside Resort). The beds were comfortable, pillows fluffy, very nice staff and a great breakfast (eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, grits, etc) unlike the other hotel that only gave us a muffin. The pool was nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again!!!

The staff from Courtney, Skylar, Holly, Scott, Marianna were absolutely THE BEST! Everyone made the stay amazing. At breakfast the staff was attentive. Housekeeping did a fabulous job and would say hello, I hope you have a great day! This was our second time here and it was just as amazing as the 1st time! We will definitely be back in May. I loved seeing the staff so cohesive.

I'm always looking for something to complain about. I couldn't find anything wrong! We enjoyed our stay@ convenient location too. Staff was awesome! Breakfast was great. Relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back at least twice a year!

Last minute we decided to stay at the beach instead of driving home, so had low expectations on the hotel we booked. The hotel was great! Staff was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. Kara at the front desk was so kind. When we called for extra blankets Courtney had them waiting when we walked downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and nice the hotel was for the price. Would definitely stay there again!

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, the breakfast buffet was beyond amazing and the options changed each morning, hotel and rooms were clean, bars were respectful to families and children, the beach location was perfect with access steps away from the water. Our 5 day stay was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel!

At check in front desk told us breakfast was daily 6-10am, we could eat it in the breakfast area or take it to our room to enjoy. Our first morning my husband goes to grab breakfast for our 2 young kids to bring to the room, as he's walking off a kitchen employee starts SCREAMING AT HIM that you can't do that you can't take food to your room. My husband told the employee the front desk said we could. My husband stops at the desk & asks, they said it's ok as long as we don't take their plates & silverware to the room. We go to the store & buy paper plates & plastic silverware. The next morning my husband goes to get breakfast again & the same employee SCREAMS at my husband saying the same thing as the day before, my husband told him the front desk said we could as long as we don't take the plates & silverware. The employee gets mad & stomps off, then a women employee comes over and starts screaming at my husband too. My husband goes to the front desk again & asks, the lady there tells him they've had problems with rodents so they don't want guests eating in their rooms. BUT EVERY ROOM HAS A MICROWAVE & FRIDGE !!!! And they advertise throughout the hotel they have room service pizza you can order !! This place is awful, to have staff scream at customers over some basically pre packed muffins & pastries that are for children is insane. At nearly $500 a night this kind of experience is one we will not forget & we will not be returning. Especially if they have a rodent problem !

Everything was great and amazing we all loved it, the food was delicious every morning. The pizza was outstanding and the pool was great, The mixed drinks we had was very good, The service was excellent.

Stayed last week of July. First of all, the hotel is conveniently located close to everything really. The only surprise was having to pay for parking but maybe that's normal in Orange Beach? The room was fantastic. We had balcony view of both the gulf/beach and the strip. I could even see the River on the other side of the road. The room was very clean. We had to wait until a little after 5pm (we arrived at checkin time of 4pm) but they gave us a $50 gift card at a great local seafood place that more than made up for that slight inconvenience. You have to pay daily for two chairs and an umbrella on the beach unless you brought your own. The pool/spa and pool bar was great as well! All in all, one fantastic beach stay at this BW Orange Beach hotel! We will come back again!

The hotel was extremely clean and smell super good. Our room was spotless every inch of it. The breakfast was outstanding very good. The staff continued to keep everything clean. During our two days stay we didn't find a single thing wrong. The staff was super friendly and nice.

Have several complaints Customer service was awful checking in. Elevators wait was nonsense Fire Alarm 3:30 AM several times through out the night with no explanation. Pay additional pay parking Would consider staying elsewhere

The beds are firm with a pillow top. I slept like a baby. My husband said they're the best place to stay in Orange Beach. Housekeeping was daily on the spot. Fresh towels and super clean. The view was wonderful and free breakfast was delicious.

Wonderful property located directly on the beach. Staff was very warm and friendly during check in. We extended our stay for one more night do to the great location and over all enjoyable atmosphere. Keep up the great work. We will be back.

My favorite hotel on the beach. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Perfect for couples or bringing your kids along. All staff are friendly and helpful. You can even get ice for your cooler before you hit the beach at the beautiful pool/bar area. Rooms are clean, balconies are gorgeous. We've been multiple times and it's always a 10 out of 10.

We stayed here for 4 nights over the Holiday. Kudos to the BW crew from top to bottom. Front Desk, breakfast crew, cleaning staff and engineers were all superb. In spite of the fact that one elevator was out of commission, I can't complain. Breakfast each day was well stocked with a great variety of items. The rooms were nice due to the full renovation in 2020. We'll stay here again.

We couldn't have been more pleased and impressed with this hotel in every way! Everything was on point from the value, the cleanliness, the staff, the breakfast, and of course the location! Gorgeous decor and setting! We will return!

ALL the staff was awesome. The food was awesome. THE PIZZA WAS AMAZZZZINGGG! The Gulf view... peaceful. The weather was awesome the ocean was a little cold but good thing the Tide has a wonderful, very clean pool!

Really beautiful hotel. Would've enjoyed it very much aside from the the one ride desk clerk and the cleanliness of the room. Would definitely give it a second chance. I'm sure that it was all due to a bad day on the staff's behalf.

My husband and I just had another excellent stay at the Tides. This one was hard because only a week ago I was at my brother's funeral, which happened on my birthday. We were Irish twins (only ten months apart) and this is the first year we won't be the same age for two months. The staff is amazing. Mariana who works in Food and Beverages in particular really lifted my spirits. I'd earlier met her and other staff who remembered us. Sandra who also works in F & B remains as sweet as ever. Visiting this hotel is like visiting family. Jasmine and Kara and the rest of the staff are just amazing and I thank God for them. Someday I'd love to live in Orange Beach. The Tides will be part of the memories my husband and I build here. PS The beach was recently dredged so there were so many sea shells. To further lift my spirits, I made ea shell craft pieces in my room (too cool to sit outside too long). And the sea was a clear as I have ever seen it. This is truly my favorite beach in the whole wide world.

The bed was comfortable the room was clean, the Mardi Gras decorations were nice and the people were the friendliest I have spoken to in a long time. We are older sisters (6) and haven't been together in 7 years. The oldest got a little lost one morning and they were so nice to help her. And us also! We played cards in the lobby at night and had a ball!

Loved the fact that it was small-boutique sized, breakfast variety great, decor nice, clean, neat, no funky smells, bed and bedding very comfy, keurig in room a plus, everyone was nice, great pool but heater was broke, hot tub great, fire pit a bonus, but kept forgetting about it being there, the availability of snacks, drinks, sandwiches, ice cream great, we came for a girls weekend, much-needed mental health weekend , it was absolutely wonderful!, first time staying there, I will come again! Thankyou, thanks everyone!

Great location for us. Easy access to Gulf State Park. Covered parking was helpful, though it cost an “extra” $11 per night. Accommodations were wonderful. Gulf view room was worth the extra $. Balcony was a good place to welcome each morning with a fairly good cup of coffee from Lobby coffeemaker. Sun hit balcony most of afternoon for winter “tanning”. Plenty of good seafood nearby. Only downside was lighted pier from hotel next door caused us to have to close curtains for sleeping. Way too bright and on all night.

All of the employees I encountered during my stay were all very friendly and professional. check in and out was a breeze. Great views of the beach. my room was on the side of the building but still had a great view. the room was spotless and really spacious. large shower and huge closet. the patio was big and had chairs to be able to sit out on.

All the staff, especially Robin, Jasmine, & Sandra, were so helpful & accommodating to make our stay most enjoyable. The breakfast offered was delicious & plentiful. All areas, lobby, dining/sitting, pool/outside, were all clean & well-kept.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tides. Staff was friendly and efficient. Very nice decor in both rooms and common areas. Beds were very comfortable. Balcony was roomy and deep, plenty of room for the 2 chairs and table. Great gulf views, in January you get both sunset and sunrise. The breakfast was very nice, better than standard hotel fare and the dining area is spacious with lovely gulf views through huge windows. Covered parking in handy ramp, $10 parking fee. The only issue we had was that the room has poor lighting. Small bedside lamp too low for in bed reading. Floor lamp has 40 watt bulb, so not much help. Please add a lamp over the table and put brighter bulbs in the bathroom. (Lighting is probably fine if you are 30, but as you get older, you need it brighter)

Property was beautiful - the view is amazing. Room was very clean, bedding was comfortable with nice amenities. View was as described. Check in process was quick and easy (we pre-registered online). All staff we encountered were friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to ring in New Year. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent parking $10 per night, well worth it. Awesome location in town, close to everything including Beach! Rooms were spacious and very clean. We will difentaly be returning.

Wonderful stay! All of the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, ( breakfast staff was the nicest ever!) Real plates, silverware!! Views were amazing, room was clean and housekeeping came promptly when asked. Kids had bunk beds with a TV and Xbox Pizza made in house was excellent. Only cons....if I'm picking at stuff.....pool heater broken, (they were working on it) , pillows not great ( we always bring our own anyway), you have to wear a plastic bracelet the whole time (we have 3 littles) and this took some convincing for them. We have stayed at many beach side hotels and this has never been a thing until here. The front desk said it's mainly for checking to make sure those eating breakfast are guests....but rather annoying with the kids. Parking was $11 a day. I think most charge for parking in the area. Overall wonderful stay and will definitely be back for our next beach vacation!!

We had this trip planned for a bit went in December for Christmas on their off season, So if you're looking to do a lot of water activities, depending on weather I don't think it'll happen!! Besides walking on the beach you have to drive everywhere.. which was ok.. Hotel it's self Is Great, We did Gulf view Absolutely beautiful!! The Wharf is Fun! We also went to OWA.. Paula Deans restaurant great!!! A lot of things for kids OWA had a real nice water park All of The STAFF From Checking in to Housekeeping To Breakfast employees were all Amazing & Friendly!! Breakfast is Great!! They actually use real plates & silverware wrapped in cloth napkins. Fresh Fruit. I was impressed!! I give this hotel 5!! I would Definitely recommend this Hotel!!!

So pleasantly surprised by this little hotel right on the beach! I booked a room with two queens and bunk beds for our family of six. We had an awesome view of the beach and pier, the breakfast was included and quite delicious, free coffee, and beach towels to check out for use. The staff was so so friendly and helpful, everyone just seemed happy to be there. The pool wasn't heated bc the heater was being repaired and poolside bar was closed, but other than that it was a perfect stay. Would definitely stay again!

We loved the close proximity to Gulf State Park. So easy to rent bikes & ride the beautiful trails throughout the park. Awesome beach! Can't compliment the staff enough! They are so friendly, helpful, kind, and accommodating! We'll certainly be back!

The most friendliest, comfortable hotel I've stayed at in a very long time! The view from the lobby is relaxing and breathtaking….the smaller hotel feel is wonderful ! Honestly the staff, ALL staff from the time you walk in was top notch ❤️

The location is amazing. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was nice and clean. The part that fell short was the service that was provided by the staff. I travel quite a bit and when I arrived I was basically treated like a guest who didn't matter. I'm diamond select and was never offered my welcome amenity. I asked to have an ocean view room and the clerk says “we do not upgrade to oceanfront you have to pay if you want it.” The hotel is far from full and that's very rude and unprofessional to say. I then asked what do the reward members get? She says this isn't the Hilton where they upgrade we are the best western and we don't do like other hotels and if I wanted a view I should pay for one because they are not free. I then asked for a late checkout and was told “NO” everyone has to be out by 11am so that housekeeping can turn over the rooms. Again the hotel has maybe 15 cars in the parking lot. It shows in previous reviews that others have issues with the staff as well. Not to mention the website says a heated pool and a pool bar but yet the pool not heated and there was no pool bar. The room door lock was broken as well. Television would not work.

I had a wonderful time during my visit. The staff was incredibly friendly. Upon my return home I realized I left something in my room. They went above & beyond to get it to me. From the honest housekeeping staff to the front desk and manager I could not be happier with my experience! I wouldn't stay any place else in Orange Beach. A++++

We loved this hotel!! Visited for the weekend after Thanksgiving for my husband to work at a wrestling tournament and this hotel and its employees could not have been nicer. Check in was easy, breakfast was DELICIOUS, rooms were very clean, gym was nice, and hot tub and view were great. Even the wristbands were not bad so that people from other hotels could not sneak in to use our benefits. Thank you all so much! (The only con was that pool was not heated but that was not a big deal since there was a hot tub.)

Absolutely loved this hotel. It checked off everything on my hotel list... room for our group of 5 (or up to 6) people, separate sleeping area for bunk beds (to separate from snorers), big rooms so we weren't tripping over each other, lots of counters/tables in room, even a walk-in closet with lots of organizer shelves and wire drawers (never seen this in a hotel before). The hotel looks like it has recently been renovated. The rooms smelled clean and were clean! Beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was the best I've ever had. Lots of selection, and the food was great ... they actually cooked the bacon! We were there 3 days, and the hot food was different each day. The eating area is beautiful and overlooks the ocean from the 4th floor... awesome view! Our family loved the free coffee/hot chocolate/expresso machine in the lobby ... we used it a LOT. Hotel is right on the beach and had a great sand volleyball court which my teen/20-something kids loved. We joined in with another family and had a great time. Hotel is on a more quiet area of the beach, so not huge crowds. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't want to be in a high rise but still wants the awesome view. We had a great time and are so glad to have found this gem on the beach.

This is our 2nd time staying here and everything is top notch at this hotel...proximity to beach..Breakfast...hospitality...excellent staff...everyone does a wonderful job. ..My son likes the beach and the hot tub is his favourite..we did miss the pool this time as it wasnt heated due to an ongoing issue but they were in the process of getting it fixed...we will be back again..

Despite the November chill in the air, the Tides hotel offered warmth from the moment we arrived. The attentive and welcoming staff assured our every need was met. This premiere BW property offers amenities found usually in four and five star resorts. Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, we were footsteps from dipping our toe into the ocean. While enjoying the extensive breakfast offerings, we were mesmerized by the view of the sunrise, pelicans diving for their first meal and dolphins at play. We are return guests to the Tides, always leaving feeling refreshed and renewed.

We booked a last-minute stay at this hotel and wow! So impressed with the quality of the property and the friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and just what we needed to get us on the road for a long trip home. The views were amazing — it didn't matter that it was so cold outside. Being so close to the beach was still mesmerizing. The lobby is gorgeous! The windows are floor to ceiling and the panoramic view while eating breakfast was so calming. We'll be back!

The entire stay was absolutely amazing. I give the room an A+++ for cleanliness, comfort, and decor. The view from the balcony was an added enhancement to our experience. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delightfully delicious options (grits, oatmeal, eggs sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, OJ, coffee and much more).The staff (Keisha and Jasmine) were very kind, oourteous and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again. Loved it!

We went road-tripping for our honeymoon and had only planned on staying here one night and ended up here for 3! It was THAT good! We stayed in 3 different rooms during our stay due to last minute deciding to stay another night- two nights in a row- but every room we had was perfect! Our first room was the king bed partial view- great views & balcony. The second room was the double queen ocean front & waking up to the sunrise in that room was amazing! Our last room was the double queen partial view suite- this was our favorite room! We had a HUGE balcony w/ a lounger & we got views of the city, lagoon and ocean! Every room was spotless, the staff was amazing, the pool & hottub were clean and the beach was spotless! It was perfect weather during the day to lay on the beach & stick your toes in the water or play in the pool. 10/10 recommend!

This is a Best Western? Be prepared to be amazed! Do yourself a favor and upgrade to room with view of ocean. This is a lovely hotel. Clean, quiet, on the beach and budget friendly. They offer full breakfast with ocean view balcony dining. They have a beautiful pool and hot tub area with views of the ocean and full bar service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a hidden gem! Beautiful hotel, with amazing views and absolutely phenomenal staff! The rooms were comfortable and CLEAN. Every staff person we encountered went above and beyond. The breakfasts were fabulous and I cannot say enough about how well maintained the facility is. Would 10/10 recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to visit Orang Beach. Finally, want to give a shout out to our great bartender, Sean, Go Noles!!!!

Check in was easy. The rooms were large and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Would definately book this hotel again. The lobby view of the ocean was a delightful surprise.

We were looking for a 5 day vacation with a nice beach, warm weather and a nice hotel but had to be in the US and a shorter flight. We have found that and more! Reasonably priced with an Ocean View, a Free Breakfast that is very good and offers options that should suit everyone, it does change a bit day to day, the Coffee is a Regional Roast that I would like to have drop shipped to my house, even the Decaf! This Venue is the Real Deal and is definitely worth checking out. The Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, don't hesitate to ask away. For the Best Prices they suggest calling directly to the Hotel and sometimes it doesn't hurt to check back a week before arrival to see if the price may have dropped. We will certainly be back again.

Gulf view was great. The only thing I would change is another lamp in the sleeping area. A little bit too dark for me to read. Breakfast was great. Mariana at the bar was very friendly, personable and we got to trade family stories with her.

The property was very clean! The staff very professional and friendly! The views were fantastic. Breakfast was great and the dining area had a beautiful view. You felt like you were having breakfast on the beach. Our only complaint we wished we could have stayed longer! We had dinner at Cobalts across the bridge heading east. It was fantastic….

Perfect location for a fun short trip to the beach! Easy walk from the hotel to the shore line. Beautiful views in the lobby/dinning room. Comfortable rooms, great for kids, bunk bed nook comes with a separate TV!

We enjoyed our breakfast with the view. Loved free beach towels and the friendly way the staff treated us. Like the pool & hot tub after a day at the beach. Our room had two queen beds & a bunk in a secluded area. Great for kids!

I would give unlimited stars to this Best Western!! It is a small hotel. However the customer service was unbelievable. Check in is on the 4th floor, (different, yet makes sense) They really did treat us, even the lil one, like family. Very clean and modern. Loved the hot breakfast. Enjoyed the hot tub... Easy wide, smooth, and short boardwalk access to the beach. No long walk.... Thanks to all the employees

We were visiting on our babymoon and it was exactly what i needed. We were so impressed by the hotel and the staff. Everyone was so friendly and went above and beyond. The only less than average service we received was at the pool bar. It was very slow. The free breakfast was honestly the best i have ever had at a hotels included breakfast. The hotel was so clean and bright with the best views.

I am a travel professional and I have been in the business for sixteen years. I typically am IHG loyal because they meet / exceed expectations but saw this hotel and had never stayed here in OBAL so I thought let's try it. It was a personal retreat - and I had a wonderful time. Rooms, lobby are wonderfully decorated - clean and sleek. Pool is great, the staff was truly wonderful. Everyone I came in with extremely hospitable. Loved that they had a bar at the lobby, at the pool , complimentary breakfast and pizza as an option for dinner if you didn't want to go out. It was absolutely a perfect stay. I felt very safe traveling alone - key card access to most everything which I appreciated. Only thing that would be great is if there were more elevators. very clean! LOL! 5 stars - highly recommend

We paid for the "beach view" upgrade, but the lady who took our reservation didn't explain to us that it meant we'd be on the side of the building, facing a parking lot and hearing traffic noise. The manager wouldn't even come out to apologize to us or offer to let us pay for an upgrade--she just told the desk clerk to let us know that we couldn't change rooms as long as we'd gotten the room we'd asked for. At least one other couple there had the same issue, so it appears to be a recurring problem. If you want to face the beach, just know that you have to reserve a "Gulf view" room, not a "beach view." But at least the breakfast was OK, and we enjoyed the view from the lobby.

Great hotel and staff was extremely friendly! The view was amazing! The breakfast in the morning was amazing and loved that it was included in our stay. I will definitely be back. Keep those friendly people you hired around.

The view from the lobby alone is worth a visit! Can't complain about anything-this hotel knows how to take care of its guests! From check-in to pool time to beach time to check-out, a five star hotel. Good use of space to have parking on lower floors and hotel start on fourth. The lobby view at breakfast each day was perfect. Our room was two queen and a bunk- just enough room without feeling like we were in each other's way.

Breakfast was incredible for continental breakfast (Sandra was wonderful for cleaning our plates in a hurry and provided us such good info for our trip). The male bartender (didn't catch his name) was fantastic! The hotel was so clean, quiet and convenient location to all things Orange Beach. Friendly staff and great experience overall! Great for a relaxing get away with your significant other and/or family.

The staff was amazing and friendly in all areas: cleaning, restocking, greeting, check-in, pool bar, and all. Location to everything from the beaches & fishing of Gulf Shores to Perdido was perfect. I will definitely rebook for our future visits. It was one of the best experiences in a US hotel.

We didn't plan ahead. We went to pick up a friend and decided to go to the beach for a few days on the way back. This was my first time in orange beach and it was great. We definitely will be back

This Best Western Hotel is awesome with a capital A! I admit it's pricey but when I got there , it was worth every penny. Easy access to the beach, a nice covered poolside bar, a huge dining area for breakfast. Not only was the view from the breakfast room an ocean view but it was an actual full breakfast not just continental. Also there are washers and dryers in each floor . If you can get past the price you won't be disappointed with this very very clean hotel for solo trips or families. Highly recommend.

We wanted a weekend getaway that we wouldn't have to worry about planning any details. This was it. On site coffee, bar, pizza, beach, pool, & spa.. with attentive welcoming staff.... 5 minutes from dozens of well rated restaurants and a few groceries.... large spacious rooms... lovely balcony... and breakfast that could sustain armies! It was an immense pleasure eating our breakfast on the balcony while watch a dolphin pod for entertainment... We are definitely saving them as a repeat location!

Excellent location, friendly staff, amazing breakfast buffet! The beds were comfortable and this hotel is conveniently located near lots of restaurants. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach. Nice location near a pier. We saw stingrays and even a couple of sharks swim by. Sunrise is beautiful from the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

First, I'd like to give a big high five to a wonderful staff. Friendly, smiling and happy faces are always a plus. The hotel was top notch. Resort style in a compact space. And, a great location too! There is literally not one thing I can say negative about this place. Will definitely stay again!

Absolutely hands down great staff, friendly service and the room was top notch. The check in process was seamless as was their engagement. When we used the bar out by the pool the bartender was able to provide exactly what we needed after a long drive. Will come here again

I recently stayed at BWP for a short get away. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and the location gave island vibes! The complimentary breakfast was also a plus. I'd definitely choose this location for future stays.

This was my first vacation in twelve years and my daughter's first time at the beach. The entire staff was professional and extremely kind. Check-in was smooth and the woman working at the front desk (Carol) informed us of all of the features their hotel offered. We checked-out our clean beach towels from the front desk and headed to the beach and then to the first day. The beach and the pool was super clean. The hotel's heated pool was so relaxing and clean. The restrooms were extremely clean and offered free tampons and maxi pads for ladies. Our a/c went out in our room so I called Carol at the front desk and Mr. Justin Anderson came about five minutes later to fix the problem. It turned out we needed a new a/c, but Mr. Anderson said they always have new units available. He had the new a/c unit installed and working in 10 minutes! In the morning we enjoyed a great hot breakfast at the hotel. I was impressed that the breakfast menu changes daily! Even the kitchen staff would come out to make sure the food was good and they always asked if everything was good, which it always was. At night we order a pizza, which was made fresh to order at the hotel and it was amazing! This hotel sits right on the beach so every morning we would have breakfast watching the beautiful Gulf of Mexico from the floor to ceiling windows. The view was breath taking. The Front Desk Manager informed me that we can rent chairs and an umbrella at the beach. The young lady renting the chairs and the umbrellas was super nice. She told us to pick which set-up we wanted (she was at the each early in the morning setting-up the chairs and umbrellas for the hotel guests). I'm sure glad we did because it was hot and sunny. It felt great to relax at the beach. We were also able to meet the part of the Coastal Beach rescue team. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. I will be returning to this hotel with my entire family in just a few months or sooner. This is by far the best hotel on a beach I have ever experienced!

Exceeded expectations! Cleanliness is number in importance to me when it comes to lodging, and we found the hotel to be very clean all around, from the rooms, to the balcony, lobby, pool area, even the poolside restroom! Can't say enough good things about the complimentary breakfast experience! Top notch in every way, from the food selection and taste, to the staff and dining room. Hot selections of eggs, potatoes, sausage, grits, oatmeal, daily rotation of bacon or sausage, and pancakes, biscuits, or French toast. Cold selections of cereal, 2 kinds of yogurt, fresh fruit, granola. Choice of toast-your-own sourdough bread slices, croissant, bagel, muffin. Juice, coffee, milk, water. The food area was kept clean and stocked, and dining room was beautiful and spacious, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beach. Another thing I like is that the hotel is right on the beach. Just a short ramp down to the sand…No long boardwalk like some places have. Pool area is very nice and family friendly, with a bar where you can order drinks or pizza. Yes, they offer gourmet pizza, which you can order from your room phone or at the lobby or pool bar. We got the “Shoreline,” and it was delicious! You never need to leave the hotel, but if you do, there are plenty of stores, and restaurants nearby. There is a daily fee for parking, fyi.

Stopped overnight because this hotel was on the beach. Ended up staying an extra night. Way exceeded our expectations! All the staff were so friendly. Will definitely be coming back. So glad we found this hotel.

Wonderful staff. Poolside view was lovely. Pizza was excellent. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Their lounge has an amazing view of the water.One drawback much waking distance. However that seems to be the case in general.

Great stay with a "Gulf Front" View! Make sure you select "Gulf front"! All the staff were great, they want to make sure you have the best experience. Especially Marianna,& Sandra, very warm, kind and down to earth! Felt like we had known them for a long time! The Breakfast buffet was Delicious, best Ive ever had at a hotel! Will definitely stay here again!

I loved it! Everyone was super friendly helpful & nice. The front desk when you walk in was awesome. The pool was great with beautiful views of the beach. The pool bar was the best. The bartenders were exceptional. There were two ladies & a guy there. They are awesome bartenders. I wish I had names. They worked so hard & with a smile. The frozen drinks were amazing. The best on beach. Breakfast was so good & much appreciated The ladies Hedi & Sandra were super sweet. The views were awesome on the patio outside where you could have breakfast & in the lobby. I loved my room, it was so clean & looked great.I will definitely return to this hotel. It has the best staff, rooms & beach views! 10 stars!

This is my new favorite hotel! The lobby is on the fourth floor with a beautiful wall of windows to look out at the gulf! The free breakfast is amazing!! Everyone in the breakfast area is so friendly and helpful, they welcome you as if you were in their home! The food was all perfect! There are so many different food items! Everything was so clean and fresh! The rooms are clean and everything looks so new and updated! The room with the bunk nook is so perfect! There is even a TV for the bunk area in addition to the TV in the main room area! There was a microwave and a refrigerator also! There is a very nice sized closet with shelves and pull out baskets for plenty of storage! The pool area is nice and the views of the beach are Incredible! This is the best place to stay on the beach!

Wonderful staff. The lobby is beautiful. Wall to ceiling windows facing the gulf. You can enjoy this space while having breakfast or any time. Great coffee 24/7. Close to many restaurants. My husband and I have stayed here 3 times.

On a long guys trip, this was our last stop...and the one I was least certain about. I'd read plenty of stories about all these beach hotels and the wear-and-tear from families/spring breakers. However, this hotel was gorgeous! Clean (we saw workers constantly wiping/polishing/sweeping) with beautiful views (check out the huge windows overlooking the ocean from the lobby while you enjoy a cold beverage). Staff was so friendly and helpful, getting us info before an early am fishing trip. And breakfast might have been the best I ever had at a hotel. Would stay here again a thousand times!

We stayed 4 nights and very much enjoyed our entire stay. The staff members were very pleasant. The rooms were top notch for a beach front hotel. The breakfast was very good and dining area was very clean and had a great view of the gulf. The only negative was that the elevators were slow on occasion. We would recommend staying here if you visit the area .

The Tides was an amazing place to stay. The breakfast was tasty and Sandra went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She is definitely an asset to your hotel! We also enjoyed delicious pork tacos and drinks by the pool!! Even with a little bad weather we had plenty of seating under cover by the pool. Highly recommend and we will be back.

We had a wonderful trip! Every staff member was lovely, the room was great and in close proximity to everything. We loved the amenities and the fantastic beach access. We loved being able to order pizza in the lounge and not get out. We'll definitely visit again!

Pot smoke from other "guests" throughout the visit (paid $600+/nt for this garbage stay). From sun up to sun down and throughout the night, whenever my wife, kids, and I were on the balcony attempting to enjoy the view from the hotel we were inundated with so much marijuana smoke I thought Snoop Dog was staying next to us. Like literally insane! If we stayed at a typical garbage Best Western I would have expected this, but not a beachside semi-nice looking hotel stating it is family-friendly. We told the front desk numerous times and were essentially told due to a lack of supervisors on property and security they do not enforce the no-smoking policy. This is interesting because I had to sign a binding contract and even give a copy of my driver's license when I stated I would follow this policy also. I will never stay at another Best Western and am canceling my loyalty program with this hotel immediately. If you want better clientele at your establishment and get rid of the stigma Best Western's have had over the years, you need to act differently.

Definitely not as advertised! The pool is much smaller than the pictures appear, its stained, has a tub ring but the worst is the razor knife blade rust stains in the kids sprinkler area. No blades were present, but the fact the rust stains were allowed to stay just looks dirty. The hot tub is no better, paint flaking off cap stones, green ring around it. The pool area needs help!! The pool bar, another joke, instant cheese quasada for $6, yet it's only available on the weekends, you can't make this up. So no food all week. The good... nice beach, parking under cover, the breakfast is good, but is all instant food, far from fresh. The rooms have no bath fans, toilet water valve loose from the wall. They don't clean your room unless you ask. Not really a resort, just a dirty hotel on the beach.

The staff here is wonderful. Marianne is great, but they all are. Super clean and comfortable beds. ONLY issue is slow elevators. The beach chairs are not like the ones pictured. They are the cheaper fold up chairs. One family member recently had surgery and one selling point was the type of chairs pictured. I think the picture of the chairs on the website needs to be updated. I highly recommend getting a room with a balcony. I really missed having one but it was my fault for the late booking. The breakfast is fantastic.

I would 100 % guarantee the Tides for your next stay. The location is perfect and the free hot breakfast was amazing. The Tides was very clean and updated. The bar by the pool was another great thing to use…..

Tides was a beautiful hotel right on the beach. It was very clean, had comfortable beds, and great air conditioning with a continuous fan option for those who sleep with a fan! Staff was very polite! Breakfast was wonderful every day! We were reluctant to book at a hotel because we typically rent a VRBO condo for family trips, however Tides did not disappoint for our last minute trip. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a great hotel. It was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a very positive experience. The only slight issue is that there is not daily housekeeping. This might be everywhere right now due to covid and lack of regular help that is happening everywhere. The setting is amazing. Clean beach, nice pool, easy access to restaurants. We'd go again!

This was our second trip to OB, this hotel is the in my eyes 5 star, the staff and the amenities are top notch very clean and the pool and beach is perfect, the rooms are so comfy and the view is amazing!

The only complaint I have was the parking for my truck but if you want to stay at a nice small place with big location and great Low Tide bar servers and food. This is the best you will find. Everything was well kept and everyone was friendly and helpful

The hotel was great! The room was very clean, the front desk people were excellent, and the free breakfast was delicious. It also sits along the beach, which you can reserve chairs an umbrella. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great for families.

This visit we stayed in one of the Corner Suites that sleeps 6 (#626) at the BW The Tides. This is a review of this room. The separate bedroom was very roomy with a comfortable king bed, tv, a separate air conditioner and its own closet which was nice The grandkids loved the little bunk bed room with its own tv. The living area had a sofa sleeper for 2, another tv and separate air conditioner. This room has a HUGE corner balcony with a table and 4 chairs where you can eat while enjoying the view. 2 additional chairs would be nice since the room holds 6 people and there is plenty of room for them. The bathroom in very large but could could use a few extra hooks for the towels. The room also has a Kuerig coffee maker and coffee pods. Overall this is a GREAT room, although pricey. It is cheaper than 2 beachfront ones though. The breakfast buffet here is the best “free” one we've ever had. Real breakfast foods, real eggs & bacon and/or sausage everyday. Fresh cut fruit, not from a can. There is a “free” specialty coffee drink machine in the lobby all day which was a big hit. They charge $10 a day for parking but it is covered and we have found that most hotels/condos in prime areas do that now.

Staff is not friendly. Elevators are super slow. We got a partial ocean view room and the room faced a construction site next door. All you could hear is dump trucks and the reverse beeping noise from your balcony, not ocean waves. There is no room service so you are suppose to leave your trash and towels in a bag and fill out a door placard for your items. Two days later our items weren't replenished so I kept going to front desk to ask for things which I got attitude for… the first night we got into bed and our pillows legit smelled. Like they were not changed from the previous guest. So I stacked them up and went to the desk to request fresh ones. The attendant gave me a dirty look and said without acknowledging this “Our pillows don't smell.” “I've never heard of this.” She stomped off and got us 2 pillows instead of 4. It was pointless to argue. I've stayed all over the world and have never complained of pillows before, ever.. To be dismissed was frustrating. You are paying a pretty penny to be treated like this. The location was good and and the beach was beautiful. The pool was not as marketed and basically a kiddie pool. Never got in it. The hot tub is by the parking garage and super small. The paid parking in their own garage was unfortunate, however our vehicle was secure in the garage. Breakfast was good surprisingly and clean in lobby. Overcharged my credit card for our stay and called to rectify this. They still haven't taken the extra night off 3 days later and I've called twice. First time to Orange Beach- we will be back, but will not be staying here.

We absolutely loved everything about this property! Our room accommodated our family of 5 perfect with bunk beds. Everything was super clean. Staff was all so friendly. Free breakfast in the morning was really good!

This was the perfect place for a beach getaway. So so clean !! Beds were seriously comfortable. Front desk staff was especially nice and accommodating. Rebecca , Cara and Taylor ! Free breakfast was delicious . So many options from fruit to bacon and eggs, cereal, bagels . The list goes on. The dining room attendant with the infectious laugh was too kind and helpful. This is not a huge all inclusive resort if that's what your thing is. This is a smaller scale place but it was perfect for us. Not too crowded. Little bar by the pool. Seriously easy beach access. Volleyball net right there. No room service but you can order a pizza from front desk. It was delicious. There is an 11.00 charge per night for parking and a resort fee of $50.00 I think. We will definitely stay here again !

Very clean room most of the times that we stayed here, the last time it could have been cleaned better. the breakfast is very good, they serve good coffee and tea all day and night. the Gulf view is rooms are the best .

Beautiful property ON THE BEACH. Very nice pool and bar. Pool is a little small, but I didn't care because I never got in it. Rooms were clean and tidy. Gulf view balcony was breathtaking. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Bacon or sausage each morning, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, chilled fruit, etc. Nothing fancy or "five star," but everything you need. Buffet style -- and free. Grab and go. Perfect for kids. The front desk attendant ("Key") was simply amazing. She was super friendly and extremely helpful. She always said hi, and she took a genuine interest in my well being and comfort. Kudos to Key! All of the staff were EXCEEDINGLY nice. I have two complaints: (1) there was only one washing machine (6th floor) AND it was broken; and (2) the elevators are slow. That's it. NOTE: As of June 2022, there is construction next door. Heavy equipment was in use. You can't fault the hotel for nearby construction, but figured I should mention that.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Tides was extremely clean. The breakfast is a very nice touch and is delicious. The was a gentleman cleaning tables during our stay that really made the breakfast experience enjoyable. His attitude was great and you could tell he enjoyed his job. The staff members we all very courteous and helpful. Thanks for making our trip and stay something we will remember. We will be back.

First of all I know it's pricey but let me reassure you it's worth it. I went for a solo trip and didn't need a condo just for me so this is how my search began. The room I stayed in was very nice , very clean, and actually it felt like I was at a resort. Now the one thing that threw me off is that the check in lobby is on the 4th floor and not on the 1st. It was cool because if you park your car in the deck it's actually easier. The pool area had a bar and jacuzzi and was really comfortable. You can acces the beach from the ramp behind the hotel pool and you don't have to walk a mile down a long path to get to the sand - very close. So the breakfast is awesome and it was a typical hotel breakfast but it was served in the lobby area on the 4th floor which was very large and overlooks the ocean. They also had a nice laundry room on each floor near the elevators. The king bed was extremely comfortable and the balcony wasn't large but large enough to sit and see the ocean and street side at the same time. There was a desk in the room , a microwave and a fridge. Bottom line is it's a very nice hotel. As far as safety, you could not access the pool area without swiping your room key to open the door that leads outside , so you know it's only hotel guests in the pool and with beach access. Walmart Neighborhood store was a few blocks away. My favorite restaurant Bubbas was about 3 minutes down the road and in the opposite direction the FloraBama bar was less than 10 minutes away as well. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Great amenities, very nice fitness center, excellent hot breakfast, and the poolside bar and beach access were perfect. The employees at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were very clean. We ordered pizza from the front desk and it was really good, and very convenient for a beach day. Would highly recommend, look forward to staying there again next summer.

Great hotel- Beach view from our room was beautiful! Great location. Easy to get around to everything. Breakfast was really good too! Nice view of the beach while eating breakfast. Eggs, bacon and sausage and I got hooked on the strawberry yogurt and granola. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were really quiet inside- could not hear other guests.

I wanted my husband to experience beach front and this room did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the pool and the beach. This day there was a lot of seaweed in the water and on the shore so we spent most of our time at the beach. One thing I would like to recommend would be to include the beach chair/umbrella in the cost of the room so it is hotel guests only.

Mark and I had a wonderful time. All of you were so friendly and helpful.i would recommend the Tides to everyone. Many things to do like paragliding, Dolphin cruise on a glass bottom boat. Many different restaurants ect.

Best breakfast buffet but very limited options after that. Very kid friendly with a very diverse and friendly staff. With limited foid options after 10am could use a couple outside grills for guests to be able to grill up some burgers or steaks or local fresh seafood without having to leave property for overpriced average at best lunch and dinners.

The staff was friendly, no exceptions--front desk, breakfast staff, etc. Comfortable room with great view. Breakfast was presented professionally with a good variety and all very tasty. Easy parking. Above average fitness center.

My kids and I had a great time! Hotel was right off the beach. Hot tub was great since it was an unusually cold weekend. Ordering lunch at the hotel was very convenient but also very expensive. Staff was great and very helpful.

We love The Tides. We normally stay at Turquoise place but stumbled upon Tides last year when Turquoise wasn't available. A Tiki bar is a must for us, and Tides was one of the few places in the area who offered that! Rooms are clean, front desk staff is extremely friendly, Tiki bar staff is fantastic as well as any staff on site. The mini store and complementary hot breakfast are huge bonuses. We have made this our new place and try to make it down here at least twice a year now! My only suggestion would be to do something about the young kids running around the breakfast serving area and dining room. I think a sign to have parents accompany young children in all times in that area is a must. Multiple times there were small kids cutting off adults and weaving in and out of serving lines and I witnessed several employees and others get bumped into by kids and almost spilt hot food and coffee on them.

My husband and I enjoyed this hotel so much. The staff is so helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is out of this world delicious. Rooms are very clean which is very important to us, we'll be staying here again.

A beautiful setting, miles of beach in view with the Gulf of Mexico glistening emerald there, too, superlative hospitality crew, a scrumptious, vast breakfast buffet, it wouldn't be hard to spend more time here almost every day. Outside amenities to complement a family stay--pool & beach and, also for the adults a pool side bar, a clean, well equipped exercise room and fantastic GULF view balconies in most rooms. We've stayed here often and look forward to our next stay!

Our stay was Friday through Sunday. It was our first time staying in a Best Western Premier. Also, it was our first time vacationing in Orange Beach. The check-in process was fast and smooth. The front desk staff were happy we were there. They made us free welcomed and relaxed. To be honest everyone on staff were very nice to us, professional yet hospitable. We looked forward to seeing Sandra in the mornings at breakfast. She was incredible! Making us feel relaxed and taking such excellent care of us! She saw us leaving while she was on her break and went out of her way to say hello and wish us a safe trip back home. If her manager reads this, and I hope they do, Sandra is a wonderful asset to your resort. I hope she is treated and payed what she is worth. There were others that acknowledged us and were very kind and helpful as well. Thanks for making our "baby moon" enjoyable! Looking forward to future trips at BW Premier. The Burge Family

We loved our stay at Best Western Premier Tides. All of the staff including the front desk, house keeping, breakfast staff, and pool bartender looked like they loved their jobs and were accommodating.

Hotel was worth the price. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean. My family enjoyed it very much. We got our rest and beach time! We also enjoyed the pizza from the hotel! The beach was clean and not crowded which was an additional plus for our stay! Nice restaurants all around too. No issues over here! Will come back again and stay at the same hotel!

We've never stayed at a BW before because it wasn't a high end name. Let me tell you they blew us away this trip. This hotel is amazing. I can not say enough about how perfect our 6 nights here was. We had everything we needed they were always checking in on us. Staff is extremely friendly and they remember your face. Always felt safe and loved the small feel of meeting new people and seeing them around the hotel. The beach access is incredible. I loved the layout of our room. As a family of 5 it's hard to find a room not insanely priced for all of us. The double Queen with bunk bed was perfect! The location was great with lots of choices to eat and shop for souvenirs. The staff made great suggestions for dinner. When we come back we will be staying here again!

We loved this hotel. Our rooms was great, clean, and had an amazing view. The breakfast was fantastic- as was the staff. We loved the pool and hot tub area. Only cons were that the bar in the lobby wasn't open, you had to return down to the pool area and there are no pool towels by the pool.

We tried this hotel for the first time and found it to be a great place to stay right on the beach. We had access to the beach and beach chairs. Access to shopping centers and close to restaurants. Great family environment with great service. We will come again.

We checked in Hampton Inn & Suites (down the road from Best Western Premier) and we were very disappointed! Everything about our room was outdated and in poor condition. An hour after check-in (late evening), I canceled our next night and looked for another hotel on-line. We found Best Western Premier, Tides Hotel, which was available. We didn't have our hopes high, but it was the difference between NIGHT & DAY from Hampton Inn & Suites....we were so impressed and happy that we added a night!! AND it was about $80 more at Hampton Inn & Suites. A BIG shout-out to Kara (front desk) at Best Western Premier, Tides Hotel....wonderful asset to Best Western.

Awesome beach access with nice heated pool and great full breakfast buffet. Decent pizzas for later in day. Large rooms and nice staff too. Late hour check-in you need to call to get them to buzz you inside. No room service ( pick pizzas up at front desk in fourth floor lobby) and no maid service (leave tag on door for maid service telling them what you need (towels, tp, etc).

From the moment we made our reservation to the time we were driving away we had a great feeling for The Tides. Everyone was hospital and imitated a conversation in a friendly southern manner. The Libby and breakfast area was beautiful due to the view and cleanliness of the floor to ceiling windows across the entire wall. Not a better place to see the gulf and beach. It was bitterly cold outside but the coffee l, tea and hot Chocolate were their 24/7 to warm our insides. Rooms weee perfectly clean, great balcony overlooking the gulf, bedding was soft with great mattress and pillows to sleep. Toiletries were top notch and had a light island smell without being overpowering. I cannot say enough.

I was a little reluctant to stay at a hotel as I've always stayed in a condo when visiting the beach. However, this ended up being an outstanding experience for my family. The staff was so friendly and happy to accommodate our needs. They had a 100 rating and the hotel smelled so good and was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable and we even had an ocean view with a balcony. They had an amazing breakfast buffet with many options! I loved the state of the art coffee machine in the front lobby! Hot tub, pool area, and pool bar was top notch! We will be back for sure!!

We both had a great time. We fished, had great meals, breakfast every morning all staff went above and beyond to make our stay Wonderful. From front staff to room attendants to repair people all were Awesome

I have never stayed anywhere with such polite and attentive staff! Everything was AMAZING. VERY clean, breakfast was amazing, room was nice, and the lobby and views are beautiful. The kids enjoyed the heated pool and the adults enjoyed the bar. There was never a moment where the staff wasn't smiling or more than eager to help I have never experienced customer service like this. I will definitely be returning!

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is in great shape and very clean. It was cooler when we visited so the heated pool was awesome. The breakfast was one of the best that I've had for a hotel breakfast. The view from the dining area was absolutely amazing as well.

Hotels are expensive now but having great staff makes it worth it. Every employee we encountered was friendly and it sure seemed genuine. The breakfast buffet was great. Probably the best we have ever had that came with the room. The two ladies who worked at the buffet were great, Sandra and Salena. We only stayed two nights but we liked everything. We would definitely recommend this place.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating, breakfast was superb we stayed for 3 nights everything was perfect! I wish the outside bar was open but I guess it was due to it being off season. I highly recommend this place.

Surprised my wife with a short stay here for her birthday, and she kept telling me I did good. Loved everything about it. Room was modern and clean, the lounge-breakfast area is spectacular, staff was friendly and helpful, the parking garage was great, making it easy to get things from the car easily. Pool was really nice, wish we had brought our suits, but we expected cold weather. Will definitely become regulars in the off-season.

We stay here every time we come to Orange beach. Customer service is top notch, always clean, and beautiful views every way you turn. Pool is heated and always nice and clean. We enjoy the hot tub which is lit up real pretty colors. The breakfast is very good and the views from your table are breathtaking. We will continue to come back every time!

We had the most excellent stay at the Tides. Incredibly clean and a wonderful staff. Very comfortable. We will make it our regular stop in Orange Beach. The FULL breakfast on real flatware was a plus. We highly recommend this hotel

I am very picky. This hotel is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room is very clean. When you arrive and are very tired from traveling order the pizza they serve. The bartender is very helpful. The breakfast was awesome. The room facing the Gulf is wonderful. It was perfect.

Absolutely the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The included breakfast CANNOT BE BEAT ANYWHERE!!! Not just toast and cereal, but full deluxe breakfast with GRITS !!! Sandra at the breakfast bar made sure we were well taken care of and that we were completely satisfied with the food!!!! BW if you are reading, she is an employee you definitely want to keep and PROMOTE!!!!! WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Everything about this property was fantastic! Right on the beach, exceptionally clean rooms and public areas, and such a friendly staff. Everyone we interacted with took great care of us, especially the Front Desk and Breakfast staff. It was a quiet stay, no noise from other guests, there was plenty of parking and the $10/day was very reasonable.

Loved, Loved, Loved!!! It was like having a little piece of Paradise. Everyone is so nice and helpful. There could not be a more perfect front desk person than Kara. She is a ray of Sunshine. Also, not sure of the name but the man that does breakfast is a pleasure. Great job everyone!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Our stay could not have been better. This is our new favorite hotel. Room was exemplary, the people was helpful and pleasant, food was good. The room is very large and had plenty of flat surfaces and storage.

Very clean, excellent atmosphere. Amazing view at Breakfast Buffet! Friendly staff! Especially Kara at the front desk. They have a Monster Coffee Maker that grinds the beans and brews on demand! You could see Dolphins swinging in the ocean from the Breakfast Bar.

Lobby is on the 4th & 5th floor and the breakfast area is here. What a wonderful vista while having breakfast. Tall ceilings and beautiful decor. Breakfast was the best we've ever had in a BW or any other hotel. It was great to walk out on the beach and feel the sugary sand between our toes. We loved the waves crashing on the beach. All we can't think of a better place to stay at Orange Beach. Our room was on the 7th floor and we had this beautiful balcony that we could sit on enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the waves crashing in. We didn't expect the room to be so spacious and were pleasantly surprised. We would definitely stay at this BW again. Keep up the great customer service. We're sure that you guys will be #1 soon

Very nice waterfront hotel; clean rooms with nice decor; great breakfast buffet in a relaxing 2 story room with ocean views and a very friendly, cheerful staff. There are laundry facilities which makes it nice for extended stays.

this property is managed and maintained impeccably. Grounds are gorgeous on this property. Furnishings are soft but strong designs and beautiful color combinations. Staff is one of the best trained in customer service, that we've met.Helpful front desk, bar tender is a gem,even Carl who makes Sicilian style pizza, the crew who cleans and disinfects, Sandra especially, the bkfast crew always smiling and helpful.The rooms sparkling clean.They charge a $10 fee for parking and a $50 percharge that's refunded if not used. a near perfect property that deserves a loud Welldone

Booked a beachfront for street view. I have street view at my home. When someone books a room expecting to see the oven and you give them a view of the street it's going to be disappointing. I came back to desk to ask for another room and they said housekeeping was behind and they would call me if something else came available.

We found summer in the dead of winter at BW Premier Tides Hotel, which is directly on the sugar white sands of the Gulf. The warmth of the professional staff, the heated pool, hot tub and ample sunlight were a welcome respite for us. This hotel offers a wonderful breakfast in a very comfortable dining area overlooking the ocean from the Fourth floor. The onsite bar offers guests cocktails made to order, which you can enjoy as you watch the sunset on the ocean. World class dining, excursions and historical adventures are within a short drive. We have returned to the Tides often as our preferred place to "get away".

This was the most relaxing trip we have ever had. The staff was so nice and friendly. Especially Ms. Sandra, bless her heart we were always the last ones for breakfast and she was so sweet. Jen was amazing too. We sat two nights in a row chatting with her and drinking. She even helped me find a rum drink I liked. Can't wait to go back! Very clean and comfortable!!!

Have stayed here several times before but this visit after Hurricane Sally was like staying in a new hotel. Everything was so clean and crisp. The room even had a Keurig coffee maker/coffee pods, microwave and mini-fridge. The balcony is also much larger than those at the Hilton where we have been staying down the street. If I had a complaint about the room it would be that I don't care for the "half pillows". I just didn't find them comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the area was super clean with a GORGEOUS view of the Gulf of Mexico. They also had a variety coffee maker in the lobby that made specialty coffee drinks. My husband LOVED it! Only other complaint is that they now charge a $10 parking fee.

The kindest person checked us in ( early ) she was so nice and gave us great info ! The room was beautiful and the view gorgeous . The pool area is very upscale . The sweet young lady at the bar was so accommodating . The pizza is really good . The breakfast was the best I have ever had . Whoever manages this hotel should take pride in how nice and helpful all the staff were ! We will be back and Would recommend this gem to anyone .

We called the Tides as we had a last minute change of plans at another hotel. They had availability and advised us by phone that we could come in and check in if the room type was already clean and available. When we arrived, the gentleman at the front desk was accommodating and welcoming. He was there the next morning when we went down for breakfast and was equally kind and friendly. Throughout our stay, every employee was helpful and seemed pleased to assist guests. It is so refreshing to stay somewhere that provides true customer service! Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Really enjoyed our stay. Short walk off the back porch to the beach. Awesome heated pool and hot tub. Really loved getting served a hot breakfast and getting to eat it with the view of the beach. Would definitely stay again. There is a $10 a day fee for parking.

Wonderful place! Great rooms, my kids loved the bunk beds and the fact that the pool was heated was awesome!! A lot of delicious breakfast options as well. Employees were all very nice and helpful! Will definitely stay again!

My only complaint is that we arrived several hours ahead of schedule and we were told that they would let us know as soon as a room was ready. At 4 we still had not heard from anyone so we went back to the front desk and waited in the line of people that they were giving rooms to. Obviously they had rooms available and didn't bother to let us know even though we had checked in six hours prior and was waiting patiently. We also asked to stay another night at the end of the evening and were told they they were completely booked up but the Internet showed that they had several rooms available. We decided to go elsewhere

Our stay at this hotel couldn't have been any better! It seemed to be newly remodeled, sparkling clean. Staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Heard very little noise from other guests. Breakfast was delicious. Pool area was well kept. The only minor complaint during our stay was the elevators are a little slow. But they do have steps. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing beach trip!!

My room was not ready at check in. The staff member was not even sure how to check me in. The restaurant staff was rude. Our key cards to the room rarely worked. The store would not sell my daughter a snack, claiming they were closed. Yet, they sold a snack to the person behind her. While i was ordering a pizza from the restaurant, my daughter was headed out to the beach and stopped to wait on me. The staff person immediately told me that she could not have the one beer in her hand at the table. Remember, we were headed out to the beach when i stopped to give this hotel my business of ordering a pizza.

We had a wonderful experience at the Tides Best Western Premier. The hotel is amazing and in a great location. I can't say enough about the staff, they went out of there way to make our stay so enjoyable. The breakfast each morning had so many options to choose from. The hotel is very clean and sanitized. Can't wait to come back again.

I believe it was Clara who helped us with a super quick check in process...very witty and funny...also hats off to the breakfast crew who do an amazing job in refilling everything as quick possible..lot of options for breakfast and I can say one of the best...

Everyone was excellent, Sandra especially with the way she handled the breakfast crowd. The front desk folks and the girls that did the room maintenance were great as well. The maintenance supervisor was also amazing.

This Best Western is the absolute standard. I've never been to a Best Western or any hotel that checks all the boxes like this. Beautiful, clean property. The friendliest and most helpful staff. So much attention to detail to make your stay so enjoyable. The best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel and a super nice fitness center. The pool is heated which is a huge plus and it overlooks the beach to enjoy the sunsets. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a quick 2 night mini vacation at this hotel and it was very nice! The room fit 6 people very comfortably and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Access straight to the beach for fishing and fun. Heated pool was great too, even in December!!!

My husband and I were in the area to see a condo in nearby Pensacola on which we made an offer (offer accepted), and needed a place to stay. We loved the Tides. In the past, we've rented a condo in Emerald Skye next door, but our landlord sold her place. We stayed at Tides. Kara was so welcoming at the front desk. All of the breakfast staff was welcoming, too. The older woman working in the dining area was so diligent and a reminder of the backbone of our society: hardworking people. The room was clean and quiet. The amenities were to-notched (best smelling lotion in any hotel I've ever visited). If you need extras, just ask. Keisha was a gracious housekeeper. They don't clean daily but give you a way to ask for what you need by 11am daily. Suits us fine in these strange public health times. There's a jacuzzi and pool. We saw people from so many backgrounds and everyone was friendly. When we have overflow guests in our condo, we're sending them here! Happy holidays and safe new year to everyone!!

This Hotel exceeds any hotel we've ever stayed at. The personal service they provide is exceptional! They know you when you walk through the Lobby! They are friendly and professional . The hotel itself is so comfortable, clean and inviting. And it smelled amazing! From the views to the breakfast! They were even checking the temp of the food to make sure it was at a safe temperature! Kara at the front desk is amazing! She's so friendly and professional! And remembered us from our last stay! We can't wait to come back!! Great views of the beach!

My kids told me not to leave a review because they don't want the hotel to be busy the next time we want to come stay. This hotel is honestly great! This morning's breakfast was excellent! Lots of great options! The staff at breakfast were very helpful!The view for breakfast eating was so nice. I liked how the room is set up with the bunk beds in their own little space. Very happy with our stay here!

Accomodations were great for price during the off season, would stay here again. They claim all the staff is vaccinated which means some old fellow was probably fired for their convictions, hope I'm wrong about that.

First: The hotel lobby area is beautiful. Beach styled and classy. Very well designed. The room was very clean. I did not see any spots on the upholstery or the carpet. I didn't see dust. I appreciated that. The staff I encountered was friendly and hospitable. They made you feel very welcome. I can only comment on the suite which I love how it's laid out. The beach is right outside the hotel door and it was beautiful. Second: The breakfast is good. They often give bacon and sausage during breakfast. A lot of places usually have one or the other. It was always nicely done and presented beautifully. My only complaint would be the eggs. Maybe change up because a bit of an aftertaste when I was there, but then I'm an egg person. Third: This was our 2nd stay and it may become my go-to hotel for Orange Beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay with a balcony looking right down on the beach. The view was fantastic - sunrise to the left, sunset to the right, beautiful beach and waves as far as you can see. We could watch birds diving in the water and even some occasional dolphins surfacing. The free buffet breakfast was excellent (better than what we got when we went out to an expensive breakfast place one morning). The lobby/breakfast/bar area on the 4th floor has a nice view of the ocean/beach and an outdoor balcony with seating. Everyone was nice and helpful. Parking was easy inside the parking garage (always got a spot right near the elevator on the 2nd level). The room was comfortable, with a fridge and microwave and TV with premium channels. Everything was clean and in working condition. They didn't have the usual maid service due to virus precautions, but they would switch out any towels, etc. if you mark what you need on a door hanger. We thought the value was great for such an amazing location and view.

If you have a service animal I would not recommend going to this hotel. I have never felt so unwanted and unwelcomed with my service dog before. My husband and I felt like our every move was being watched. The manager upset and and embarrassed me so bad in the lobby that I had a anxiety/ panic attack in the room after I could not calm down or stop crying for a solid 30 min. This is not how your honeymoon should feel. Truly, you should never feel that way.

After a horrible experience at Hilton Pensacola Beach recently, the Tides Best Western OB knows how to treat their customers. Kara was GREAT at check in or if we had questions. Spacious, clean rooms. Great breakfast bar! Will choose it again!

We had a great stay here! The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff had a "You are family" vibe to them which is really unique. Only thing was the confusion on the bike rental vs. complimentary bikes and when they would be available for use. Room was very nicely appointed, clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool water was cold and the hot tub was out of service which was unfortunate. The breakfast was excellent! Great hot options such as grits with toppings, oatmeal with toppings, eggs, bacon/sausage, etc. The food set up was nice in that it tended to alleviate the usual congestion. Again, staffing......all breakfast staff were attentive and really seemed to enjoy their job. Superb! It made eating even more enjoyable. Beautiful breakfast seating and surroundings. Parking was easy and convenient. This is the place to stay in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores!

Hotel is well-well staffed w friendly, eager to please staff. Beautiful, very clean facility w fresh flowers in the lobby. Lobby/dining area faced the ocean. A full hot breakfast w lots of variety greeted us daily. A porch off the lobby was a nice place to take in quiet or view sunrise or sunset. Quick board access to beach. Good fitness center. It was lacking a yoga my arms and front desk worker was able to provide one promptly Great heated pool and bar area. Rooms were fresh, well stocked and quiet. All in all, a perfect day.

We enjoyed the Hotel very much. It was very clean and updated. The breakfast selection was good and view from the sitting area is spectacular. Beautiful beach. Would definitely stay there another time.

We came down here for rest and relaxation, and that's just what we did! The hotel was extremely clean, had friendly staff, and provided a full complimentary breakfast with hot and cold foods. The view was amazing and the beach was well maintained and pristine. There was shopping and many great restaurants nearby. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Always enjoy the stay here. The location let's you experience several great restaurants and a 7 minute drive to the Flora Bama!!! Very friendly staff; nice Fitness Center; clean spacious room; outstanding breakfast; right on the Gulf with perfect views. Covered parking a bonus.

Enjoyed the facility!! Staff was great. Enjoyed the services of Herald and Mrs. Sandra. The breakfast crew were wonderful in customer service. I really enjoyed the safety of the rooms being higher floors. Access to pool and beach was card accessed. I had unplanned incidents happen the the hotel was very gracious and accommodating. House keeping Stacy was understanding to assist with needs during our stay. I was amazed at the room accommodations. We had two queens and the boys had a bunk bed in a separate room. Over all I would recommend and go again. Did I mention they had a full hot breakfast bar. The pictures were taken as we were leaving. It's a great place.

Gorgeous updated hotel. Very clean with excellent breakfast and nice beach. I would recommend bringing your own chairs for the beach as the availability and times chairs can be rented is minimal. The hot tub was inoperable (which I did see in previous reviews, but I was hoping it would be fixed). The pool was not heated and was freezing which was disappointing, but overall good experience. I would definitely go back.

Needing to get a break my wife and I decided to go to the beach even though we are not sit on the beach people. We are however sit on the balcony, read a book and drink wine kind of people. So the Tides Hotel in Orange Beach, AL was perfect for us. The room was very nice and our view of the Gulf of Mexico was perfect. Of course we enjoyed sitting on the balcony, people watching and just relaxing. The Tides has pool with a bar located close by. The bar tender was great!!! They also have a bar on the 4th floor where the lobby is located. That is also where breakfast is served which is a buffet. The buffet offered a variety of breakfast items. The dining room also has an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico. Many that we talked to mentioned that they have stayed at the Tides Hotel a number of times including a couple from Wisconsin that visit every year. Highly recommend the Tides Hotel if you are ever in the Orange Beach area of Alabama.

We booked this hotel last minute on a impromptu trip to Orange Beach (from Destin). I looked at several properties on Hotels.com & decided on the Best Western. Both my husband & I were pleasantly surprised. I am a former flight attendant & have stayed everywhere :) The front desk clerk (I didn't get her name) was great. She anticipated our needs & had 2 cups of ice waiting for me when I came back for ice w/the bucket. The hotel also was very clean, great pillows (a rarity) and a great air conditioning unit (even more rare). Breakfast was a real surprise with biscuits & gravy! We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I could suggest would be making the check in process easier. Where to park? What floor is the lobby?Maybe make a couple spots on the street level to temporarily park until you check in & find out what floor you are staying on

Loved location and beach access but would have liked to known ahead of time major amenities such as pool heater and jacuzzi were not working with it being October. Great breakfast and dining area with view.

I came down for my graduation and had an amazing time. The hotel was clean, there was a variety of food for breakfast and the staff was really nice and helpful. I also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was right on the beach and there's 24/7 access to it. I will definitely stay here again.

We LOVED every minute of our stay! Beautiful and super clean and up to date hotel! We loved the pool and quick beach access! It was so easy to grab beach towels for the day and return when we were done with them each night! The view from the dining room is breathtaking! And that breakfast was exceptional everyday! The staff made us feel like family and were ALWAYS accommodating and helpful!

We took a quick trip down to the gulf and stayed at the Tides while there. We have stayed several times before and every time it has been fantastic. We don't even look elsewhere when traveling to Orange Beach.

Driving from Texas to Florida. Our first time in Orange Beach and so happy we found this hotel. Great location. Secure parking garage. Staff super friendly. Exceptionally clean. Great breakfast buffet included. Nice pool and directly on the beach. 2 Chairs and umbrella rent for $35 daily. Take your icechest to the beach. Will for sure stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. Some as a romantic getaway with my husband. This time with my daughters and grandsons. The breakfast is amazing. The bar next to beachside pool was so convenient. I will continue to return and highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this hotel. It was so nice - seemed very new and clean. Our room was great - had a balcony with a partial ocean view. But we didn't spend much time there as the dinning room had floor-to-ceiling windows and a patio. The pool area was fabulous as well. But the best part was the beach! Beautiful sand with chairs and an umbrella you can rent. We were only passing through on our way to Florida but we would have loved to have spent more time here. Hopefully we will be back!

This hotel is absolutely the best in the area! Kara at the front desk is so sweet and helpful! I stay here often and it's always great to catch her at the front desk but if you don't catch her every single person that works in this hotel is amazingly friendly and always ready to do anything they can to make your stay better. There is a great bar down at the pool and the breakfast in the morning is hands down the best one I've ever had at a hotel. The views are amazing. The rooms are clean! You can't go wrong staying here

Our room faced the Gulf of Mexicoand the beach. Just what we asked for and the people at the lobby desk were very courteous. Breakfast was fantastic. We had inclement weather for most of our five day stay but there are plenty of things to do in the area.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was exactly as described. Easy check in & out. Breakfast buffet had a different selection everyday. Staff was very cheerful. We will be returning for a longer stay in the near future!

Great service and very clean, great location on the beach, the Hot tub was unavailable with no warning and limited access to food with no restaurant, only breakfest but was great. bummer pool closed at 10pm and bars at 8 pm inside and on the beach

He made sure we had seating for me and my family members. He deserves a thumbs up for GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Now on the other hand Deanna Dixon which was part of management came out and got on to Rajaun and his coworker in front of everyone that was eating breakfast. She was very loud and unprofessional. I thought she was a guest. She had no name tag saying that she was staff. She needs to be retrained in customer service. I have worked for the Federal Government in this field. I know what it takes. We greatly enjoyed our weekend here! Skyler and Holly at the front desk were so accommodating and helpful— truly wonderful at what they do! Their smiling faces and conversation made us feel right at home! The property is very clean and the view of the beach can't be beat! We received top-notch service everywhere on property— bar tenders, front desk, beach chair rentals, and house keeping— all wonderful.

Excellent staff, excellent location! Rooms are clean and spacious with spectacular views. Austin the bartender gave us numerous recommendations that did not disappoint. I highly recommend Best Western The Tides! We had a wonderful time and will definitely return!!

Great place to stay, pool on the beach, direct beach access, delicious breakfast served. Nice bar area outside by the pool. Has secure parking and close to plenty of nice restaurants! Really enjoyed our short stay and so did our teenage children.

This hotel was fabulous. It was super clean and everyone was so nice. Our room was located near the stairs which was great - elevators weren't that slow but sometimes it was easier to use the stairs. Parking was easy also. Breakfast was open and had lots to choose from. View from room was excellent also. Best feature - the beach/pool towels!! You can check out clean warm towels each day and use at the pool or beach. Was nice to turn them in for fresh clean towels after a day in the sand.

We had such an amazing stay! Our ocean front room was perfect for us! We watched dolphins go by every morning from our room! The breakfast was perfect! And the gym was great too! Walks in the beach and body surfing on the waves followed by the pool with an ocean view! This place was perfectly located too! The front desk (Kara) got to know us by name in the first day and helped us with everything we needed! I was blown away by the services!

Your check in personnel. She is awesome. She was very attentive and took the time to answer any questions. she made notes on a repair that we mentioned she was there on check out and was just as friendly.

We were so impressed with this hotel. It was very clean, the room was perfect for our family of 5, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast, great pool with a bar, ON THE BEACH! Paid for an ocean view and got a view of the highway and partial beach view for the same price. Typical bait and switch. Manager was extremely rude and told me that I didn't reserve what I knew I had received. Will never stay there again!

You will not find a better hotel that has the friendliest staff, clean establishment, amazing breakfast and a killer view, anywhere!!!! They can't be beat!!! We won't stay anywhere else when we go to AL

This Hotel exceeded my expectations, the Resort was absolutely stunning the staff was amazing and the atmosphere was breathtaking! We loved the pool and the access to the beach and the views they were awesome! I highly recommend The Tides and if you go say Hi to Jennifer and Tony at the pool bar, they were awesome! Oh, and the rooms and balconies were gorgeous! We will be back soon!

This hotel was clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had such a great time and would definitely stay here again. It was very much worth the price the pool area was very family friendly. The breakfast wasn't bad either. Could have used some different items on breakfast bar but was typically hotel breakfast.

This was a perfect location and the front lobby and breakfast staff was absolutely incredible! Very comfortable beds. Microwave and fridge in the unit. Ice maker for coolers located by the pool. Highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning!

This hotel is not too big, so the beach is not crowded. Their breakfast is excellent. There are a lot of options, including lots of fruit. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will be returning next year!

David and Emily were working on Wednesday night June 9th, 2021 when we checked and were extraordinarily patient and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our stay and check-in experience wonderful. They are friendly, endearing, and both have a great sense of humor. They both deserve a merit and a raise.

The Best Western Tides is great for a family vacation. We are a family of 5 so the two queen beds with bunk room was perfect. The daily breakfast was good with a lot of options (I'm a vegetarian), the attendants were kind and helpful. The hotel, parking garage, pool area and the access to the beach were well maintained. For more privacy in the bunk area I brought a tension rod and shower curtain. The daily rentals for beach chairs and umbrella is $35, hotel parking is $10 daily, and hotel beach towels can be checked out for no charge in the lobby. We enjoyed the Orange Beach area. There are restaurants, ice cream shops, arcades, and drug stores close by. My family approved and is looking forward to our next visit to Orange Beach and stay in the Best Western Tides

spectacular service, cleanliness was awesome, breakfast and pool bar drinks and food so great and yummy. we were so pleased with the entire experience and will be back! Pool bartender on Sunday was the sweetest , checkin was super professional and so friendly and the check out desk lady Sunday was the sweetest and beat! i wish i'd gotten names, and i never am moved to do reviews for less than stellar service

The staff here is the best! So welcoming and friendly. Made it feel like visiting close friends. Hotel is beautiful! The rooms are very quiet. Had people in the rooms next to us and we didn't even know it. Can't beat the location right on the beach. Breakfast was also wonderful. Great variety of options and everything was kept very clean and picked up. Definitely recommend!

Check in is at 4:00pm, and we planned accordingly. Arrived at 4:00 and was told room was not ready. Had to wait over an hour in lobby before we got a room. Finally got to room. The two lamps in the room didn't work, the refrigerator didn't work, the coffee pot was overflowing with last guests remains. It was disgusting and disappointing. I was locked out of my room 3 times because card key never worked and I was forced to go down to the lobby to get card key redone. The first time they asked for my ID. I just went to get ice, no I don't have my ID with me! Very aggravating!

We had a wonderful time at The Tides hotel. The staff was kind and helpful, and the full breakfast bar was the best hotel breakfast I've had in a year! They also have a coffee machine in the lobby that makes superb coffee.The guests were also very kind. It had nice access to the beach and a very nice pool and hot tub. The weather was such we didn't get to use the pool much, but it was warm and clean. Our room and the hotel were all clean and well kept and the decor was lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great location and nice views Breakfast Buffett had plenty of options, my picky kids loved it. Rooms were clean, kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Covered parking onsite was a plus. Staff was very friendly. We used the chair rental service which was set up right on the beach in front of hotel, easy and reasonable

The tides (traffic light 13 in Orange Beach) is a nicer Best Western. It is ON the beach with good security: pool and beach access through the pool area is by room card. May 2021, operations were ALL open! Staff (mostly) wore masks and guests, though requested to, did not. Hotel is walking distance (next traffic lights # 12A and 12B) to restaurants, groceries and sundries. They do charge for parking daily$10, but that gets you a SHADED parking spot in garage. The pool area is partially under the building- which I really like because of the tropical sun which I personally limit exposure to .lol But it also has lounge chairs and sunning areas as well as large hot tub. It has steps in an are and I believe I saw a lift for lowering person's into the water that need that assistance. It has a bartender most of the day. In May the hours were roughly 9-9. Next door, is a fishing pier (if you have or get an Alabama salt-water license). It is one of the few piers on the Alabama beaches, and although it belongs to another hotel, beach access if free to all and should you desire, you can try for fish rumored to hang out at the structure. I found the rooms bright and very clean. The windows have darkening. The view of course is spectacular, so if you are a traveler and can, get a beachfront room at a premium. (There are 7 floors). There rooms are spacious and the bathroom is not cramped. Standard sdsize tub and curtain in non-ADA room. One lavatory though there is a large counter. Huge closet and I cannot imagine anyone ever filling all the drawers! If not, just be sure to have the full breakfast simply for the morning beach view from the 4th floor where the lobby/check-in and dining is located. Breakfast was my only complaint because the strawberries, cantaloupe AND honeydew melon, though beautiful, were past overripe and well on the way to spoiled (c'mon man!). Some rooms have bunk beds for children and I may have seen a sign those rooms aware equipped with a game system for the kiddos. Drinks and sunscreen are available at the dream to purchase. Not much else.

OMG! If you are searching for the best place to stay in Orange Beach, AL., Look No Further!! The hotel just re-opened, and it is beautiful! The Manager & Staff are so cheerful and accomodating! Our beachfront Room #520 was gorgeous with new beds and mattresses so comfortable. Do not miss out on this oasis on the gulf!!

This is a great hotel right on the beach. It is a small hotel, so the beach is not crowded, and there is always close parking. The design is so smart- the parking is on the first 3 floors, and the pool is built half under the building, so there is always shade. We had a corner suite, which was large with a living area, small bunk room, large bathroom, and separate bedroom. It was also very clean, which is SO important in this day and age we are in right now. We had a wonderful stay until we got our bill at checkout. I had booked our room online ahead of time, and then we decided to add on another night at the end. So my husband (who is an elite status member with BW) checked us in and told the front desk that we wanted to add on another night, assuming the extra night would be at the same rate we were already paying, and not thinking to ask how much it would be for another night (our bad). However, when we got our bill the last day, we found out the extra night was $200 MORE than the rate we paid per night for the other 2 we had already booked, making that one night more than 50% more than the other nights. Yes, he should have asked and not assumed, however, the person who checked us in should have made him aware of the price difference, since it was such a BIG difference, as a courtesy. When he said something after the fact, they said oh well, sorry. Kind of ridiculous I think and definitely put a damper on our trip. We wouldn't have stayed another night if we knew it was that expensive. So I don't know if we will be back here..

Devin L and Shay are amazing front desk associates. Hotel was in a great location and was very clean. The gourmet coffee machine was a daily must. This Will be our new go to vacation spot!! Only downfall is beach chairs aren't included like some of the other panhandle hotels but the other complimentary amenities are exquisite.

A girls getaway brought us here after a horrible experience at the Fairfield in Orange Beach (it was disgusting). Anyway, everything about this hotel is amazing. It is so nice and clean. The rooms are incredible with balconies and great gulf views. The staff is nice, courteous, and extremely helpful.

I read the info on the steps taking for Covid 19 but when we visited we were disappointed that they were really not in effect! For example, they have hand sanitizers but they are either empty of the batteries need replacing so not working! In two days I have yet to see one person sanitizing elevator buttons, countertops, and other surfaces in high traffic areas. They offer sack "breakfast" bags to go that are the same thing each day - sausage biscuit, fruit and juice There is no reason they could not offer a healthy alternative such as yogurt, fruit and water bottle? This is a beautiful property in a great location. Hope their corporate offices do something to improve their adherence to the Covid 19 measures they advertise.

Some staff was extremely rude. Do not go during covid you will get the same breakfast in a sack everyday. They would not switch it up and would be easily to do. Will not stay there again do to rude staff.

I am here on 8/13 through 8/16. I had two reservations under my name, one for a big balcony, ocean front and one for ocean front. They asked me if I wanted the big balcony and it was ocean front, I said sure. Now I sit in front of the street view and have to go out to the balcony and lean over to see the beach. The whole trip is ruined. They tell me they have not got any ocean rooms available now. Well I just cancelled one an hour ago. This is a waste of money. Front desk said 'We'll put you on the list, uh huh'. Wish. I knew his name. So if you want to waste your money, stay in a wrap around deck room, complete with street view but again, lean over the deck and you can see the ocean. Melanie Starbuck

Very pretty, well maintained hotel. Good location in Orange Beach, away from the crowded beaches of Gulf shores. there is a restaurant across the street. Breakfast room was closed from the 'pandemic' so we had take out breakfasts. Nice pool and large hot tub. Elevators a little slow. We had an amazing oversized balcony, you could see the beach and the strip from it. Room is large and clean.

The breakfast is horrible right now. I seen the alerts on the website regarding changes to how breakfast is served. I called and spoke with an attendant who assured me that breakfast was basically the same. The attendant told me over the phone that we would be able to order everything that was normally on the buffet at the podium and then staff would put it in to go containters for us due to COVID. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! We got a sausage biscuit and cuties one day and just a sausage biscuit the next. One day we got jelly with out sausage biscuit and one day we didn't. The elevators were always busy and there is only 2. The hotel staff and guest for all 7 floors have to use the 2 elevators. The pool could use a better cleaning. I found the hotel to be overpriced.

Right on the beach, waters were warm and the seashells were plentiful. Roughly a quarter mile from a Wal-mart, Rouses, Publix and a bevy of restaurants. Bar by the pool was nice too. Mini-fridge and microwave kept leftovers and drinks at the right temperature. The fam had a great time!

We are here now, I would give this a place 5 stars if it wasn't for the horrible breakfast. I realize due to Covid the buffet can't happen but my understanding was that you still got to pick options. That is not what is happening. They hand you a sack breakfast with a sausage biscuit with a piece of fruit and juice. That's it. We base hotels on if breakfast is included and this is not breakfast, one of our kids won't even eat it. For the priced the hotel they should do better. Otherwise the hotel room is nice with nice pool and entertainment. Too bad they are cheaping out on breakfast. We will be eating out for breakfast the next two days if our trip which we were not planning on.

1. They have only 2 elevators for 7 floors and the elevators are extremely slow. During peak hours of going to the beach, coming back from the beach, or going out to eat, you can expect to wait up to 20 minutes to get on the elevator. 2. Do not wear jewelry in the pool. They use very harsh chemicals that will turn your jewelry black. 3. Do not accept a room anywhere near their gym. Another guest would drop weights on the floor every morning starting at 6:30 and would continue at 20 minute intervals for almost 2 hours. The noise could clearly be heard from the front desk and the staff did nothing about it.

The Tides is a really pretty property! Decorated to give a modern beach feel! Great location, and close to restaurants and groceries. However, this place is FILTHY!!!!! The lobby was extremely dirty from the floors, tables, doors and windows. The place has not seen a broom, mop or glass cleaner in a while! The trash can near the elevators were over flowing. It's a complete turnoff! So unfortunate to see what could be a really top property on the beach be maintained in such a poor way. Management really needs to step in and evaluate the this property!

First, ignore the fact that this is a Best Western property. This is not a Best Western hotel. The Tides (a Premier property owned by Best Western) is a great hotel to stay at, right on the beach. Friendly staff, hot breakfast (served covid-safely in to-go boxes), free covered parking, a free ice chute for your cooler, a pool that is mostly covered to protect from the sun (with walk-up bar/food), clean rooms, and a nice covid-friendly housekeeping process. Parking spots are a little tight, due to support pillars in the parking garage, but is manageable. If you can, taking the stairs will save time, as the elevators are popular (and covid capacity-restricted). The A/C in our room worked great. No problem holding the room at 70 degrees, which is a God-send after a day in the hot sun. The beach behind the hotel is full of soft, white sand and was not crowded. Location is handy as it is away from the main, public beach (near The Hang Out), which is a more wild-like atmosphere. I would definitely return.

Clean, updated & excellent staff! Everyone we encountered was polite and helpful. The hotel was exceptional ly clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was a perfect start to our day! I would definitely stay here again.

Just left after a 3 night stay at the Tides. Clean room, comfortable beds, beautiful views from a private balcony, delicious breakfast with several hot and cold options, easy parking, nice pool and outdoor bar area, easy access to the beach with soft white sand, wonderful staff throughout!! Room 724 on the top floor was perfect for my family of 4. Really enjoyed our stay. If I had to pick anything to change, it would be the speed of the elevators.... pretty slow. And the room needs more lighting.... in closet and above the microwave/fridge cubbie. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. I would definitely return in the future!

This was our second time to stay. We arrived on June 13 and stayed a week. Was highly impressed with the cleanliness and CDC guidelines that they following. This is the best place and only place we will stay in the Orange Beach area. Their outstanding staff of front desk personnel, Stormy and Leslie, along with Desk Mgr. Kara and Assist GM Ben, are the reasons we keep returning! They take customer service to a whole new level, and their passion for their customers shows. Our stay was wonderful as always...absolutely no complaints. The entertainment at the pool, mostly by musician Austin who quickly became our new friend, was great and relaxing. We will be returning again in October. If you haven't stayed here yet, you need too!

Like my title indicates, the nightly rate is pretty pricey; over $400 per night including taxes and fees. Room was excellent - I had a balcony with a view of the gulf. Room and the amenities were terrific! Just a reminder to take your own beach chairs/umbrella unless you want to pay $35 per day to rent a set. Nice pool/bar area as well. Garage parking is on the first 3 floors and the hotel lobby is on the 4th floor. Not a large hotel, but very nice.

Hotel staff had signs reminding of social distancing, but this was not enforced. Pool, elevators, and breakfast area were very crowded with no social distancing and very few wearing masks. Trash was overflowing in the hallway trash cans. The room worked well for our family and the beach was beautiful, but anxiety was heightened due to others not following Covid guidelines to minimize the spread of the virus.

We arrived on Friday afternoon (June 26) for a two night stay. We had a 2 Queen partial view room. The room was spacious and clean. The location of this room was nice (next to lobby/breakfast area). The beach access was great and my kids enjoyed the pool. Now, on to why I only gave three stars. We decided to stay an extra night and our room was not available so we had to change rooms on Sunday. We moved to the 7th floor to a beach front room. The room was significantly smaller than the previous room (same 2 Queen bed setup), smelled musty, carpet wet in front of mini fridge, mold on bathtub, chairs stained, and a dirty thermostat. Elevators very slow and all trash in the elevator corridors always full/overflowing. Breakfast is included but lacking. This was our first time staying here. Would consider again, but only on 4th floor. Tips: Check in is on 4th floor (“L” on the elevator)

We have stayed here 3 times in the last 3 months and enjoyed each stay. We stayed in a different type room each time but always get a Gulf view room. We have stayed in a 2 queen, 2 queen + bunk beds room, and a suite. All 3 were nice i would say each room could use a little maintenance. A couple rooms had tiles cracked and coming apart and one room had the plastic on the corners coming part. The rooms were very clean though, and all the workers we encountered were very helpful and friendly. On a few stays, there were loud people in the pool very late at night, an on our last stay, a group was in the pool after 11 at night with screaming kids and a bluethooth speaker blasting music that we could hear all the way up in our room on the 5th floor which kind of ruins the view and sounds of the ocean at night. We did contact the front desk and he was gonna take care of that, but they finally left shortly after that. Maybe they could enforce the pool closing time to help with that. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan on staying here again next time we are in the area.

People at the hotel are very friendly. Hotel is kept clean. We stayed in a room with two queen beds and two bunk beds. The kids enjoyed the room with the bunk beds, it was isolated from the rest of the room, so they essentially had a room to themselves with their own TV and outlets for charging devices. Hotel is steps away from the beach. The pool area was used primarily by families with small children during the day (teens and adults at the beach). Hotel is doing their best to provide breakfast to all guests during COVID. During our visit, they did not offer a buffet, but you were able request what you wanted, and they would make your plate for you. Food was good. Wife and I agreed that we want to come back.

While the outside of the hotel appeared dated, the interior had been renovated and was gorgeous. Rooms were clean and comfortable - could use better lighting. But overall a great experience and very convenient to get to beach and pool. Will definitely stay there again.

This was a first time to Orange Beach and we chose The Tides due to its'close proximty and east access to the beach. This part was really nice! Part of the hotel cost was breakfast included. We tried it the first day and were quite disappointed. Because of COVID, we received a styrofoam container of food. The eggs tasted like they were powder eggs, the potatoes were cold and the muffins hard. It was disappointing. The room we had attractive because it had a view of the beach...very scene.

Very nice hotel. Not a huge high rise building - so that made it nice. Friendly employees. Very clean! Nice pool area. 1-3 levels are parking. Lobby on 4th and rooms are on 5, 6, 7 floors. We had a side view of beach and it was nice.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are comfortable. The closet has shelves and drawers to easily arrange clothing. Everything is well kept and the lobby decor is beautifully beachy. Parking is under cover and easy to find. Staff is very kind and professional. Bunk suites are great for kids, and the side view, large balcony has a view of the beach and the lagoon. 4th stay in 2 years, and every time has exceeded my expectations.

I was disappointed in the room, and the staff at the check in desk. The carpet in the room felt damp, and there was a strong mildew smell the moment I walked in. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, and half of the lights didn't work. I left a day earlier than planned, losing a nights rate.

This hotel went way past my expectations! The hotel was clean and the decor makes it seem airy and spacious. The room was much larger than I was expecting which was great considering I was traveling with two other people. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be going back!

This was our 3rd time staying at The Tides, and it never disappoints! Here we are in a pandemic in May, and the hotel handles itself marvelously. As you enter the 4th floor (where the lobby is located), you'll be immediately welcomed by Cara, Leslie or Stormy. These 3 are kind, welcoming and will help you as much as possible. The lobby is not your regular lobby. Need to see the beach? It's right out the wall of windows that you encounter! Or outside on the patio! There is always coffee and tea available and you choose the strength and size you want. The breakfast is usually a great buffet, but of course, with this pandemic, they've had to modify. And modify they did to the best anyone could do. They placed a menu on the board displaying your breakfast options. As you line up, they ask you what you'd like, and then proceed to fill your container to go. They offered eggs, sausage, muffins, fruits, cereals, juices, milk and other items as well. And you can sit and eat there or take it back to your room. The breakfast staff worked as fast and hard as they could. They did a great job for handling so many people so fast and efficiently! The rooms? They are cleaned before you arrive. We've never found a dirty room. You also are asked to place your dirty towels in a bag, leave them inside your door and housekeeping will pick them up the next day as well as replace your needed items. This process worked well for us. Though we've always found The Tides exceptionally clean, they always had someone cleaning something! We constantly saw people in the lobby, around the pool area and in the halls freshening and cleaning. Please follow the social guidelines they ask (as in only 4 to an elevator), and keep the pool chairs where they have placed them, and you'll have a wonderful trip to refresh and restore you during this time. Note that during this pandemic, things have changed everywhere, but The Tides made our May get-a-way, a wonderful diversion from the everyday stresses going on. You won't be sorry for your stay! Fabulous stay! The hotel is wonderfully located within steps from the beach; the decor is perfectly themed for a beach stay (light gray wood with blue hues). The view from our room of the beach was terrific. Most importantly, Jeana, the GM at the front desk provided above and beyond service to us. We will be back!

We came down to get a break from being cooped up in the house. Despite the regulations due to Covid-19 the employees and facility was AMAZING. We met Stormy while in the pool area, she the bartender/pool watcher. This girl did an AWESOME job to make everyone happy due to the limitations. We can't wait to enjoy our new visit! The hotel was clean, the staff was super friendly and the price was great. With that being said, I was a bit upset the umbrellas and chairs were not out on the beach like advertised. However, the rent for a day was set up right in front the hotel. I'm not sure if thats what the hotel meant or if the Covid BS made them pull the free ones. It was just a slight inconvenience, I should have packed my own. You might want to verify with the front desk before packing light. The elevators are slow, not like Margaritaville's slow but you're going to wait a little while.The room was nice, plenty big enough, great use of space in the closet, we (3 ladies) were all able to unpack. The AC worked great. Our corner room patio was HUGE with a nice patio table set and a lounge chair, beautiful gulf view. The bathroom was cleaned, I'm pretty sure, I mean it looked clean and smelled clean but there was a hair on the shower wall. Again, no biggie, just making an honest review. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW!! that's my only complaint. They have the little square pillows and they are kinda flat. Between that and the curtains leaving a slight gap allowing light to come in, I didn't sleep too well. As for the gap, I will bring clothes pins next time. We heard a good bit of road noise but we were in the front corner of the hotel, I expected that and honestly it wasnt too bad. The restaurant was closed due to covid, breakfast was grab and go, the pool bar was open and the drinks were good. The pool wasnt packed, even though we didnt swim we did lounge and enjoy some drinks. Parking was tight. I dont mean not enough, we had great parking spaces everytime we came back from an outing, I mean the spaces are little and the concrete post make turning in and out a bit of a challenge if you have a SUV. Overall we had a great time, the hotel was perfect for us.

Get location. Rooms where clean, staff was friendly. Hopefully when we go back next year everything will be back to normal. Miss the free breakfast and having fresh towels ever day. All in all it was a great stay

not knowing a great deal about the Alabama coast line but we are always up for somewhere new to visit. The location of the Tides is great. Hotel is well maintained, the staff was great and so friendly, breakfast had enough selections for most everyone. Loved the access to the beach and was able to take a peaceful walk every day. our stay was first of March so it was not warm out, but still a perfect get away. Restaurants very close at hand.

This hotel had everything we needed, even for a family of 6 with 3 teens and a 10 year old!! The property is beachfront with an outdoor pool, hot tub, weight room, included hot breakfast, spacious lobby, games, Xbox in room, and on site beach lounge rentals and activity rentals. We did some sightseeing in the area, but there were days that we did not even leave the property, as we had plenty to keep us occupied on site! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We simply adored Stormy and were SO impressed by her enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to this hotel!! We are already hoping to plan a trip back to the area and will book at the Tides again, simply because of the pride that Stormy displayed in her work and this company. While there are many choices of lodging in the area, in the end, staff can make or break the experience. Thank you for the wonderful memories, Best Western Tides Hotel!!

We had an ocean beach room with a view that was spectacular. Our room was clean had all the amenities that you could expect from a hotel. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best we have had on our travels. The staff were very attentive and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here if we have the opportunity to return to Orange Beach.

What a great place! Not too crowded. Great pool and the best beach! Corner room with balcony was an added perk! Pre-packaged breakfast items were a great idea during the coronavirus pandemic. Staff were all very friendly. #TidesVibes

After a 12 hr drive, the Tides provided free hot breakfasts, ocean view seating in the breakfast area, plenty of seating. It is a very clean hotel & the staff is friendly. Beach towels provided by the hotel. There is a "toy station" on the left of the beach providing beach toys to share, I dont think it is provided by the hotel, but still a perk. Although everything was great, I would have preferred to see more variety offered at breakfast. There are several options, but the SAME several options offer everyday. Our last day of our 5 day visit almond milk & pancakes were put out. Great variety of muffins, but only 1 type of bagel- plain. I cannot eat eggs or drink milk, so 5 days of very yummy potatoes was enough, until cereal today! Our in-land room had a nice size closet to store clothes & goodies, but no place to dry bathing suits, I recommend bring a drying rack. Ocean experience was great! Mostly found broken shells, but we researched high/low tide info to find a few beautiful treasures. Overall, we are already planning a return visit & appreciated walking right onto the beach.

If you want to be right on the beach and a room with a nice balcony, plenty of room, Friendly staff and a breakfast in a large comfortable common area with the most beautiful view then this is the place to come. This was our 3rd visit and will plan to come again.

Had a beautiful large corner room with a huge balcony overlooking the Gulf. Could not have been better. Many restaurants nearby as well as things to do. State park right down the road, grocery, liquor store, everything!

The staff was really welcoming and accommodating. Our bartender, Leslie, was fantastic! The drinks were soo good! We had a corner balcony which was huge and had an amazing view, and the room was nice and clean as well. Also located right on the beach which was very convenient when we wanted to take our kids down to the sand and enjoy what we really came for. Will be coming back this summer for sure!

This hotel is very friendly, clean, and accommodating. Kara, Summer, and Jennifer were super helpful during our stay. The rooms are spacious and my son loved having an Xbox in the room. The breakfast buffet was also hot and had a nice variety each morning. We are looking forward to our next visit here! #tidesvibes

This is a beautiful hotel. A bit strange that you check in on the 4th floor but, meh, not a big deal. Our room had a gorgeous view of the ocean and beach. The pool is beautifully lit at night, the hot tub was great the first night, already on when we hopped in. The 2nd night it was not on and we could not find the switch to start it. Was still nice and warm. Breakfast was great.

My husband and I made an unexpected trip. We did not make prior arrangements. We come across The Tides. When we walked in we were met with a smile, and awesome service. With that quality of service we stayed 2 nights. The hotel has simply the best view! We will be definitely staying again!

We loved the location, the room, breakfast, lobby, etc. The help at the front desk were awesome even putting something in a refrigerator for me. The best thing is the close proximity to the beach. There are many great restaurants nearby too.

I found this hotel by accident when all others were booked for my last minute trip. What a beautiful view of the Gulf! The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and I look forward to returning soon!

I told the front desk person I'd do this because I was so pleased with our stay. The room was beyond clean and just lovely, it was also nice to have a nice balcony attached. The lobby has a wall of windows over looking the gulf, it's gorgeous. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and had a big variety though I only grabbed a few muffins so can't speak to how it tasted. The rates were fantastic as well, though it was January so winter rates bring costs down. I'd stay here again if I get the chance. Fantastic stay!

We've stayed at a lot of Best Western hotels, and The Tides was perfect in every way! I don't very often give 5 stars, but The Tides would deserve 10! Beautiful room, amazing service, beautiful breakfast room overlooking the Gulf with healthy choices, beautiful pool area, and all so very clean. This was our first visit to Orange Beach, and we want to go back and stay at The Tidesl! Well done!

The place is gorgeous and the staff are the best we've encounter. The food and services were the best ever. The staff goes out of their way to make comfortable and enjoy your stay and they succeed. Very happy with our stay at the Tides. Great location (beachfront); nice amenities (pool area, beach access, lobby bar and lounge); and good customer service. Complimentary breakfast was above average; actually pretty good. Would stay here again.

Very clean. Convenient to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The complimentary breakfast is very good with lots of choices. Leslie and Stormy are exceptional employees. We enjoyed them very much! The covered parking ramp is great.

This hotel was everything we wanted for a great price. It is on the beach with beautiful views and beach access. The breakfast has a yogurt bar, hot foods, and the other normal breakfast option. The hotel is minutes away from both Florida and the gulf shore.

Our compliments to James the chef who makes a great breakfast! The Grits were some of the best we've had. The hotel is very clean, staff very accommodating and location great We highly recommend it as it's on a beautiful beach with easy access to restaurants and shopping.

We came here to relax and decompress. This was just the facility to do that. The rooms were nice. My kids enjoyed the pool. The hot tub was perfect! The lounge areas throughout the hotel are comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Great Experience! Quick 3 day trip to Orange Beach. We were very impressed with the beautiful accommodations. Hotel is maintained well & the amenities are top notch. Staff was extremely helpful & pleasant. We were especially impressed with the ocean view through the window wall in the dinning room. The breakfast was delicious! Always clean & staff constantly replenishing food and cleaning. James was great! Always smiling & went the extra mile to make our stay exceptional.

This is a great place to stay while in Orange Beach. It's one of the newest hotels in town and it's right on the beach! Great staff. Great breakfast. Great location. Stormy was super friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend that you spend a few bucks more and get a beachfront room. You wont be disappointed!

Great smallish hotel. Great price, nice breakfast, friendly staff, really nice rooms and of course great beach views. I would stay here again in a heart beat. We did an early morning walk on the beach and pretty much had the beach to ourselves.

We went here for our early Anniversary trip. 41 years. We were met with a friendly face at check in Stormy was her name. She was nice and prompt too. Will make this a go to spot from now on. Nice beach and close to lots of things to do. The wharf is a few miles.

Shout out to Stormy at the front counter for fixing the mistake Travelocity had made! Amazing hotel with an amazing view, saw plenty of dolphins from our balcony! I thought watching the surfers was cool too!

Nice new hotel! Great staff, clean, good location. Loved that our room had a king instead of a queen & bunk beds for our kids! One thing to note: rooms are only located on floors 4-7 so you will be using the elevator or stairs often as beach/pool is on ground & lobby on 4th. Other than wishing I knew that in advance, I have no complaints! We enjoyed our stay & would come back!!

Great view from beach front rooms, awesome employees who go out of their way to make you as their #1, complimentary breakfast, pool, hot tub, workout room, comfortable beds, microwave & dorm refrigerator. I couldn't ask for more!!!

This is a newer hotel, on Orange Beach. Beautiful view of beach from lobby, and many rooms. Best selection of breakfast food I have experienced. Very competitive priced. Clean, comfortable room and patio. Close to businesses.

We discovered stool in the bath tub at night after checking in. We were travelling with family so I called to have it cleaned and sanitized in the morning. When they were a no-show in the morning, I called 2 more times. I had to eventually request a room change at 2pm when house keeping never showed so We could finally take our showers. To my dismay the new room had old urine on the toilet seat. Just gross! During our 6 night stay, Whenever house keeping did show up things were half done. Breakfast was ok. We will not return to this location.

Great property right on the beach! Super friendly staff, clean hotel and rooms! Great Breakfast and food! Will come back! We came from Michigan for the beach - beautiful sandy beach, and had a wonderful time, especially for the holiday week!

Wow! was that a Best Western? Very nice property in a great spot. Good size rooms-very clean and new furniture-comfortable beds. Beautiful boardwalk and beach, great view of gulf from room and lounge. Dolphins daily...

This place had a decent breakfast. The lobby was great, very modern and nice view. Our ocean view room was perfect ( i would have like the heater on the other side of the room because we slept with our balcony door open to hear the ocean all night but the heater was a bit loud. The bed caused me some nasty neck pain. There was an alarm clock in there ( an iHome i think ) it was so bright we just unplugged it. Who uses alarm clocks anymore... use your phone people. Any way this was a great stay and would definitely stay here again

I travel to the area a good bit. I check here first and when there is a deal available, I get it. The staff are super nice. They are the sincere kind of nice...none of that scripted positive attitude smiley stuff. They seem and act like they care. It may just be that view from the lobby and desk. It is awesome. High ceilings with floor to ceiling windows looking out over one of the best views of the beaches that I have seen. The pool is heated. I have been swimming with my young one a few times in the winter in the outdoor pool. The only gripe I had was the TV interface. I am an IT guy and had to swallow my pride and call the front desk. They had a quick solution. I am fairly sure they get this call a bunch.

This is a surprisingly lovely hotel. The rooms are spotless and comfortable... The lobby is wonderful with a nice bar and views and decks to enjoy the awesome view.. The breakfast was huge. There were so many options. We can recommend The Tides when your in this area.

Hotel is one of the nicest in the Orange Beach area, they paid attention to every detail in the rooms. Nice, calming environment. Lobby has fabulous views of the beach. Breakfast was very nice start to my day. Excellent grits. Would stay here again!

This was our second trip to Premier Tides in Orange Beach, AL. We had rooms with balconies and loved sitting outside in the mornings & evenings with coffee. View of Gulf was fantastic, beach was accessed easily from building. Wonderful!!!

If i could give it lees than one star I would! A horrible way to end a vacation! Driving back from a family vacation in Florida to Texas, booked this room through hotels.com and didn't notice the date for check in was tomorrow and not today. Usually not a big deal, hotels with customer service will simply change the dates for you easily, however Stormi the associate who answered the phone informed me that yes they had a room available, however she would not agree to change my reservation date and no manager was on property for me to speak to. She was rude and just told me i could cancel with no refund and book a room for tonight. I even offered to pay more to have her change the date only to hear a nope, cant do it. I wasnt trying to cancel just stay 1 day earlier and i was already told they had rooms available. Horrible Customer Service.

Great discovery. Breakfast included, overlooking the ocean. Stayed for 3 nights, weather was not the best but didn't prevent us from venturing out. Got the laundry done, only one machine. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Rooms were great. We did not pay extra for the Ocean View, however the view from the bar made up for it. Pool bar closed, spa quite nice for a warm dip. Highly recommended.

The Tides Hotel on Orange Beach was awesome for us! King room with Ocean View was great! Clean and spacious facility. Lots of close by restaurants to drive to. Breakfast hours till 10 am - yay!!! During our stay in November, it happened to be the annual Songwriters Festival - so that was a bonus! Lots of live entertainment at various locations. Outdoor pool bar was closed, so a little disappointed in that. Felt very safe there and rooms also had mini safe in closet. Would return and would recommend.

Breathtaking view from Lobby/dining area. Outside amenities were lovely. Including gas fireplace with seating area. Hot tub and heated pool. Direct access to the beach. Gorgeous upscale decor. A true value for your money without paying high end prices.

Booked a 2 night stay before starting a road trip around Alabama. Very friendly, efficient staff. Ben who kindly found us our room despite our early arrival and Michelle who took it upon herself to come down to the pool and offer to get drinks. The pool bar was closed this late in the season. Both deserve a special mention. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Not sure why there is mention of slow lifts, we didn't find this to be the case. Breakfast was good with plentiful options, both hot and cold and constantly replenished. China instead of the usual pre packaged plastic and sugary foods that is supposed to be classed as breakfast. There was even fruit salad and a large bowl of natural yoghurt !! The hotel has it's own parking garage so your car feels a little more secure. Plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from in a quiet area. Definitely recommended and excellent value for money.

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were gorgeous and clean (even though housekeeping accidentally gave us 2 conditioners and no shampoo lol). This was hands down one of the best hotel stays I've ever had! I highly recommend this place

Nice, diamond in the ruff! Hands down one of the best hotels I've been too in a long time. The pictures doesn't give it enough justice. The customer service was outstanding for us and the view was breathtaking right on the beach front.

We loved this hotel. It was perfectly located right on the beach with a wonderful balcony that overlooked the white sand below. The staff at this hotel were fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and organized. Room - perfect. Seriously. This room was a good size, had an incredible view and included a great little couch area. If there was one thing I didn't like (literally the only thing) it would be the coffee in the room. Hotel - well maintained, great location right in Orange Beach. We borrowed the hotel bikes and went on a 3 hour ride, hung out in the pool and hot tub and lounged on the beach in beach chairs. Overall, a great hotel. Cons - really just bad coffee in the room. Breakfast was decent - not great, but it was included and got the job done. And it really didn't matter what we were eating with that amazing view to look it. This is the perfect hotel for a beach getaway. Free parking, a laundry room, water bottle refill station, decent gym and a great outdoor pool/hot tub.

The Hotel was in an AWESOME location in Orange Beach, AL DIRECTLY on the Beach, close to shops and restaurants. The Staff at the Front Desk was absolutely delightful! The Hotel and our Beach Front Room were very clean with GORGEOUS Views of the Gulf! The Breakfast was Hot & Fresh with a Beautiful View of the Gulf! The Lobby area was large with plenty for children to do. It had books, coloring books, board games, ping pong, etc. The Pool and Bar were Beautiful. The Hot Tub was nice and clean and felt great! The Staff members impressed me the most! Everyone was always happy and appeared to enjoy their job and always asking if we needed anything! It was a Great Weekend Get Away and hate we had to get back home. We WILL BE BACK!

This was the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in! Beautiful property right on the Beach. The service was outstanding! Staff was very helpful - friendly - efficient. Location close to so many great restaurants. Will definitely stay here again!!!

The Tides is the best place to stay in Orange Beach. My husband and I were there first part of October for originally 4 nights, but ended up staying 6 nights. We didn't want to leave due to the beautiful hotel and beach along with the exceptional customer service provided by Stormy, Kara and Asst. GM Ben at the front desk. These 3 are the "face" of BW's The Tides, and they have a passion for what they do and it shows! You were always greeted with a smile, and they are naturals for dealing with the public. Was disappointed that the front desk manager, Tasha, wasn't as outgoing and helpful as they were. Stormy worked hard to find room for us for the 2 extra nights, and we were able to have a beachfront view before we left. Michelle, at the Low Tides pool bar was another exceptional employee. She served us promptly and always with a smile. She made us feel like we had been at The Tides before in the past, but that was our first time. She was great with ALL the customers giving suggestions on where to eat, what was happening in the local area. Michelle, along with Stormy, Kara and Ben made us feel like family. Our stay was perfect and it was all due to those four wonderful employees. You can't stay at a better place, and we will be back!

Overall, very good. We stayed here last August and loved it! The breakfast was above average for hotel food, but quality dropped since last year. Also, the lobby shows signs of wear. Excellent customer service.

The Tides was recommended by two gift shop owners in Fairhope, AL. The hotel was conveniently located on a beautiful stretch of Orange Beach. As a during the week walk-in, I knew the rates would be lower. I did not expect the customer care to ensure that two-day stay would exceed my expectations. Without hesitation, Stormy applied all possible ways to meet and exceed my budget. She also without asking, provided me with useful information about the BW stay advantages and recommendations for shopping and eating within the area. The weather was beautiful and we took advantage of the beach, pool and outside patio/bar. There, Michelle made sure we were served promptly, with a smile and engaged us in conversation that immediately put us in a relaxed vacation mood. Her exceptional service and personality was not just for us--she made sure all of her customers received the same treatment. Before we left, I booked two more nights two weeks later and received the same great service. I told Storm and Michelle this just might be a ongoing habit every couple of months. Loved the hotel, staff, decor, location, breakfast, view. I'll be back! Thanks!

Stayed a couple of nights here in October. The hotel is right on the beach with a great view of the Gulf from the lounge/breakfast area (4th floor). Parking is below the hotel and very close to the beach which makes accessing your car very easy. Checkin process was very smooth and the front desk service was excellent. Our room was on the 5th floor, so we just walked up and down the stairs to the front desk/lounge area when necessary, as the elevators were a little slow. The room was very clean, very updated and very comfortable with a frig, micro, tv, wifi, etc. We did not have an ocean view and had double beds, but we were fine with all of that. The TV is a little tricky, but once you figure it out - all good. The room door was very heavy - but if that's all there is to be negative about - you know it's a great place. The Continental breakfast provided was very good. I opted for the scrambled eggs and yogurt. My husband had bagels and cream cheese. Our friends had the crunchy and hot/, fresh waffles with syrup - which they raved about. There was also fruit, cereal and other options including freshly squeezed juices. On beach days, we would just walk out through the pool area and head down to the beach. We did bring our own chairs and umbrellas, but you can rent these from the hotel as well for a nominal fee. You will love the soft, white sand between your toes and the clear, warm water - just wonderful on a fall day. The weather was in the low 80's, but very nice. There are plenty of places to visit within a few miles. We spent a day visiting a fort (Fort Morgan) built during the Civil War era. If you're not into forts - there are plenty of other things to do within a short distance including visiting The Wharf. Our stay was excellent and with great views from the lounge! We will definitely return here!

The Best Western Tides Premiere in Orange Beach was absolutely awesome! From checking in at the front desk with Kara to Adam & Brian in maintenance taking care of any special needs to Elizabeth in housekeeping we were pampered. Michelle at the pool bar was a blast and Kim and her special recipe wings were out of this world! We truly felt like we were staying with family during our visit and can't wait to go back!

The Tides was an excellent place to stay. We had a handicapped accessible suite and it was very comfortable. The balcony was something special. It was also in a good location to find plenty of restaurants close by.

First of all, I would like to thank Ben, the hotel's assistant manager. As a former hotel assistant manager myself, I was extremely impressed with his problem-solving abilities. For such a young man, he was very professional, respectful, and exceeded my expectations. (There were a few problems with my stay, and one rude staff member, I won't be mentioning her name.) But Ben made up for all of that. He provided solutions that will keep me coming back to Best Western for years to come. Stormy, at the front desk, was so sweet and personable. I enjoy talking with her and she made my stay very comfortable. Top notch. Kara was at the front desk on our second day. I really enjoyed her attitude and friendliness. She was also very accommodating and professional about changing my room. One last thing, I love Southern hospitality, and I think Ben, Stormy, and Kara are the epitome of that Southern charm and delightful manners. Thank y'all for being both sweet and competent at the same time!

We stayed here after a issue at another resort and was very pleased. After checking in and getting everything moved in it was was a great place and very helpful staff. I will be using it in the future.

One of our best vacations ever. Very clean, great buffet breakfast with dining room overlooking the beach. Room was excellent. Staff was very helpful. Close to numerous restaurants. Minutes to the Florida line, lighthouse and Naval Air Museum. Great location!

This property has a great location with excellent beach access. The covered parking and complimentary breakfast as well as the lobby and pool bar set it apart from other beach hotels in the area. The design of the property is unique in that you have a great view from the breakfast area and can even sit on the balcony to dine.

This is truly one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a minute. Def will recommend to friends and family and will not hesitate to return. It was clean and trendy...everyone was helpful. Had ice outside the bar for our cooler...breakfast had so many options could stay several days and never eat the same twice. And the view of the beach at breakfast...fabulous! Pool and hot tub area nice and inviting. Heads up...lobby is on 4th floor when you go in. Nice wide beach, not overpopulated. Chair/umbrella rental was $35...we passed because we had our own.

It is often difficult traveling with small children and older individuals. This staff made it enjoyable for both my frisky grandson and my old bones to enjoy and please the kiddo's mother as well. Having that view while eating breakfast (which was awesome)was worth the price by itself.

The beach was amazing and the hotel was super clean and updated. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. Couldn't ask for anything more! The pool was a nice size and it didn't feel crowded. Plenty of parking and staff was friendly

We enjoyed our stay! The room with 2 queen beds and bunk room was perfect when traveling with kids. They loved their space. Everyone on staff is very friendly! Hotel and grounds are beautiful! Great breakfast too!

Beautiful beach. Michelle at the beach bar was most pleasant and attentive. Room modern and very clean. You can rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Sand is like talcum powder and the water in the gulf is warm and clean. No shells and seaweed!

Upon arrival you pull into a parking garage and enter through the ground level to check in. you must get on the elevator and come up to fourth floor, which is labeled L for lobby (in the elevator) to get to the front desk. We were allowed to check in a little early and both the young lady and guy working that day was extremely helpful and sweet. We stayed in room 601 with an oversized balcony. The views from the oversized balcony are fantastic. We found breakfast was a little bland with the same thing each day: yogurt with some toppings, cereal, pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice, apple juice, hot coffee fresh fruit. We did have one situation that totally ruined a day of our trip. This was an extremely special trip for us because my husband had fought cancer for 2 years and had just turned 65. Plus, it was also our 30th wedding anniversary so we wanted everything to be perfect and special. we went down to the front desk to get some beach towels and head to the beach for the day. the lady at the front desk was over at the bar area putting ice in her coffee when we arrived. She allowed us to stand there for a few minutes and then finally said if you come down here I'll help you....instead of walking over to assist us at the front desk. My husband asked Trisha, the front desk manager, if we could have three towels for the beach. She asked us our room number and name. She said she was going to document the towels against our room and that this was our towel limit for the day. She was very short and rude to my husband, who was being extremely polite. Then she yelled across the lobby to the house cleaning lady room 601 will not get any more towels today they already have their limit. Everyone in the lobby turned to look at my husband and I. This was extremely embarrassing for us. I also found this a security concern because now everyone knew what room we were staying in. I must add every other employee that we met in the hotel was extremely polite, especially Chris the maintenance man. All the housekeepers we're polite and friendly and spoke kind to us. We will finish our stay within the next 48 hours and hopefully not have any more interaction with Trisha. We would return to this location in the future.

The staff was very friendly but didn't seem to have it together. breakfast was the same every day despite what is advertised. All in all it's a good place to stay and previous three times was great I hope they do better we will give them another chance next year maybe .

The Best Western Premier Tides Hotel was a nice change from staying in a condo as we have done in the past. The room rate was reasonable, the staff (especially Ben Copeland and lead bartender Michelle) were absolutely fabulous! Those two made our stay very memorable just by being such friendly and easy going people. Our check in was easy and so was checkout. Complimentary breakfast was very good and they always had hot coffee and water available in the lobby as well as computer access if you wanted/needed to google something. Great location, excellent beach access. Nice lobby with grand windows in the breakfast area, though the breakfast itself could use some help. Housekeeping seems to be understaffed but does a good job once they arrive - all staff members we encountered were very nice and helpful. Other than the breakfast my only other minor complaint is the complete lack of places to hang swimsuits or towels in the rooms, there isn't even a towel rack next to the shower in the bathroom, I'd assume nearly everyone staying here is going to take a dip in either the pool or the ocean. Others have noted that it is expensive, for the money it could definitely use nicer pillows, but it is also right be right in line with surrounding properties. We would stay here again.

Breakfast was good, price for a hotel on the beach was very good, room and hotel are very clean, staff was very friendly, surf fishing on the beach was good too, Caught two slot reds, bluefish, ladyfish, and a small pompano.
