Best Western Premier The Tides

The facility was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were very happy with the amenities and location. The ocean front room allowed views of the dolphins and sunrise. The only negative was the lack of coffee in the room.

We couldn't say enough good things about this hotel very clean and very helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Disappointed with the Basic Housekeeping I knew before booking that this hotel had no coffee pot in the room, slow elevators, and construction next door. I was aware of all of that and honestly didn't care. What I expected was something basic: daily room cleaning. My room was not serviced, even though I did not put out a Do Not Disturb sign or decline housekeeping. I notified the front desk at 4:00 PM about the room not being cleaned. I came back at 5:45 PM, and the room was still not cleaned. I can accept no coffee pot, slow elevators, and construction because I knew about them in advance. But daily housekeeping is a basic service I expect from a hotel. This was the most disappointing part of my stay at Best Western Premier The Tides.

Married couple who stayed 3 nights for a wedding in the area. We are used to better hotels, but liked this hotels location, so that's why we chose it. We wanted to be by nearby Coastal restaurant and also enjoyed the Sunliner Diner across the street. This hotel has a nice location right on the beach, however, it's really hard to walk anywhere around it since it's mainly on a very busy road (highway) with no sidewalks. We didn't have a car and found that to be a challenge. Staff at the front desk was pretty nice. Even met the manager and she seemed really nice even saying she would've taken us to the Publix up the street after finding out we had walked in the heat. She didn't have to say that, so I appreciated the sentiment. Not having a coffee maker in the room absolutely sucks and is mentioned so many times on here, you would think they would've done something about it by now. Also, having to sign out the towels on the 4th floor by the lobby for the pool is ridiculous as well. They should be down by the pool area. Nobody really monitors whether you sign them back in either, we just signed out and in and the same time. The pool was nice. It was refreshing, but not freezing cold. Hot tub was a nice temperature. There were a lot of families there and kids in the hot tub, but we were able to find some quiet times too. You could go down there very early and they didn't seem to mind, which was nice. The bar area at the pool is kind of underutilized. It could be more welcoming and a better atmosphere, but it just isn't. They couldn't even get the World Cup on the tv down there when we asked. There's some general maintenance that looks like it needs to be done too. Painting and pressure washing is needed. Beach access can't get any more convenient though. Room was clean and we asked housekeeping to make up our room in the mornings and it was always done timely by the time we got back from being at the pool/beach. Room was quiet too, even though we were on the 4th floor right down from the lobby. Hotel should disclose that there is something being built right next door. There is some construction noise and it does diminish your "water view" quite a lot. It really just overlooks a big construction sight and a highway if you get right down to it. This hotel might be perfectly fine for families, but as a couple like us who travels a lot, it missed the mark.

I researched and was so excited about this location. If you have a family…. Please read! Concerns- no sidewalk access to get across to places to eat. It was no easily to find places. The elevator was incredibly slow… which was an issue because the lobby is on the 4th floor and the pool access and beach access is on the ground level. They check out beach towels at the lobby (not at the bar or pool attendant). So when you need a new towel you have to go in, ride a slow elevator, to get a towel. We were there memorial weekend, bar was barely open. No coffee pot in room. We were hoping this would be our new regular place to visit, but we won't be back.

I love staying at this place, I think this was my 7th time. The rooms are always very clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel grounds are well kept. The staff members are very polite and helpful if you have questions. I feel some of the changes that have been made over the years have made it less appealing to some. I for one think taking the coffee makers out of the rooms is ridiculous. We had to bring our own coffee maker, coffee and cups. I don't mind paying for the breakfast, it is very good. I do wish they would just let us help ourselves to the drinks as it use to be a few years back. This time the servers were a little disorganized a few mornings plus now you are expected tip for them bringing drinks only to your table. I feel the quality of the bathroom toiletries have declined over the past few years. The tissue used now seemed very low quality. I will probably return again within the next year but if things keep being taken away or more charges added I will be more inclined to look elsewhere when looking for a place to stay in Orange Beach.

I have mixed reviews of this place . Good parts. It was right in the beach and we had an ocean view on the 6 floor . Room was as clean and bead was ok. Customer service at the desk was great and the in house pizza you can order was excellent. Now the cons : There was only 1 elevator working so some rides took awhile . For a room that was over $ 1300 dollars I expected a little more . The back board was coming off the bed and there were chips on stuff throughout the room. The bathroom was clean but the shower need some more attention. Breakfast cost you 14.99 for a buffet for adults . No coffee makers in the room and you can't get coffee until 7 for a price . The beach and umbrella are a rent me until you bring your own. I bought 2 waters and 2 little cups of ice cream and cost me right at 20 dollars . The cleaning crew never made it to our room. We would leaved at 7 in the morning and come back around 5 and she still hadn't been there . She knocked in our door about 5:30 for cleaning. We were getting ready so we did towels and told her to come back . She did not understand us at all. So the room was never cleaned . Not the best experience.

We have stayed at the Best Western Premier Tides twice now and a great visit each time. Friendly and helpful Staff and clean rooms.

I can not begin to tell you what a hidden gem this place is!!!! Prime location, not too loud, feels super boutique, some rooms have bunk beds and Xbox's for the kids, I could go on… but their customer service made me feel like I was staying at a Ritz Carlton. Kara or Cara (I am not sure about the spelling) made me feel like the biggest VIP during check in and during my entire stay! 10/10 will highly recommend to friends.

There are so many good things about this hotel - location, cleanliness, spacious rooms, balconies, big bathrooms, excellent service....BUT this is the first time I have ever had a hotel room that did not have a coffee maker. They also did not provide complimentary coffee in the lobby as other Best Westerns do. This is such a basic amenity that we didn't even think to look for it in the listing when we booked our room. We paid extra for an ocean view room so we could enjoy our vacation sitting on the balcony early morning in our pajamas and watch the waves and dolphins swim by....not to have to get dressed and go to the lobby with other guests to buy coffee. The breakfast bar ($15) was similar to what other BW's provide free as well, plus $10/night parking left us feeling like we were being nickled and dimed instead of clear, transparent pricing with traditional amenities that are provided by other similar level hotels. Even the other Best Western down the street provides in room coffee makers and free breakfast and parking. We also ran out of hot water two mornings, as some of the other reviews mentioned, even though we take short quick showers. I would love to stay here again, but only if they correct some of these issues.

Room was very clean, but the bed was rather uncomfortable. Verrry firm and could hear the springs squeaking. They did have fresh, cold, good-tasting water with cups at check-in. The lobby was nicely decorated. The whole hotel smelled lovely and the toiletries also smelled great (white tea & coconut). There is construction happening on the lot next door, so our balcony was pointless but it wasn't loud or bothersome inside the room. The pool is not heated, but the hot tub felt nice. A bit of a strange location for the hot tub (directly beside the parking garage) but it was fine. The breakfast was not worth $15 imho.

I called 5 days in advance to verify swimming pool heated and open and I was told “yes”. When we arrived pool water was very cold - neither pool maintenance staff or front desk were aware of malfunction! Heater was not fixed by the time we checked out 4 days later. We were told daily breakfast buffet available at $14.50 per person - only to find the next day dining area closed to “film a commercial” - front desk and buffet staff said they were not aware of date of filming in advance?! Had to make repeated requests for daily maid service promised by hotel - I was told housekeepers short staffed. Also overhead pipe in parking lot leaked on the day we checked out - covering our windshield in ice (maintenance did remove the ice but this was an appropriate fair well for a disappointing stay). We had 2 previous pleasant stays at this hotel 4 & 3 yr ago - but unfortunately this hotel now has serious deficits in management.

No coffee in our room, breakfast cost 15$ came into our room even with the do not disturb and no water for an entire day. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. Very expensive for little to no amenities and awful staff.

A nice facility with friendly staff in a good location. In order to work at the desk the entire room must be lit so no letting anyone sleep while you work. There is no in room coffee and no coffee available before 7:00AM. At 0700 the coffee shop opens to purchase beverages. During our stay the building was evacuated every day for a fire alarm. All proved to be false alarms but we were forced to quickly exit the building and wait in the parking lot while the fire department investigated. Our view of the construction site next door was stunning. Consider an alternative location

This hotel is conveniently located for all Orange Beach activities. This is a first-class property. Our room was quiet, comfortable, clean and pleasant. All of the staff were professional and extremely friendly. We enjoyed our one night stay.

Reasonable hotel with a good view. It is a value hotel that has started charging $15 per person for breakfast, which was previously complimentary. The rooms are nice. The in room bunk beds are reasonable.

This hotel actually surprised us. I personally feel the online pics didnt do it justice. The hotel was very clean and modern. We had a really good experience. The hotel is located beachfront but close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is family friendly and value oriented. But...be aware breakfast is at an additional cost of around $14 per person per day. Also, there is no in-room coffee. There is an onsite coffee shop though. Parking is also an additional fee of around $8 per day. Just keep these fees in mind when budgeting your room rate. Breakfast was really good and has a great waterfront view. Overall this location surpassed our expectations.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary Dec 20, 2025. This is a nice boutique hotel right on the gulf. The staff is very friendly and helpful - especially Carl! Rooms are fairly small, but very clean with comfortable beds. Lots of outlets and 2 - 1980's lamps. There are no coffee makers or a complimentary coffee bar - coffee must be purchased near the lobby. It was good, but it's $3.30 a cup. (why didn't they make it $2.73 so it would be an even $3?). Your room key is required to access the ice machine (?). On the 2nd day we had no hot water - lukewarm, which worked, but no hot. We enjoyed our stay here but probably won't go back.

Stayed here 5 nights during thanksgiving break and we truly enjoyed it. The hotel is directly next to a beautiful sand beach. Rooms are good and the breakfast is very delicious.

We were here to celebrate a special wedding anniversary. Everyone we came in contact with--from the front desk to housekeeping, to the dining staff, to the bar--were friendly, helpful, and made us feel at home. The breakfast buffet was top-notch. Wide variety of options, including delicious fresh fruit. Additionally, there was a chef ready to make a fresh crepe or omelet to your specifications. The breakfast buffet was not anymore expensive than other restaurants that serve breakfast. We also enjoyed the fitness center and the pool. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Our only criticism is at the Low Tides bar, beer was stored in coolers where the ice was mostly melted, and it was not very cold. Would be mutch better to have a refrigerator there.

We were in town for the Coastal Cup soccer tournament in Foley and stayed two nights. Everything was great. The location is perfect. Easy access to the beach. Heated pool and hot tub. The lobby and café area are on the 4th floor and have a great view of the water and beach. The room was nice and clean, shower and tub. Balcony with view of the beach and water. We only had one mean, breakfast on the last day, but it was delicious. I had the Breakfast Burrito with Conecuh sausage, and it was comparable with any breakfast burrito I've had at some really high rated breakfast restaurants. Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely be back.

We have stayed at The Tides frequently over the last 8 years. We don't even look for any other place because this is so wonderful. The staff is so friendly, efficient and welcoming. Seeing some of the same staff/friends does make it feel like being at home. We always get a beachfront room in order to enjoy the Gulf to the fullest. Breakfast buffet is worth the cost !!!!! Excellent selection including shrimp and grits, omelets and crepes besides many other selections.

The hotel is located right on the beach. The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. Most impressive was the FOOD. Best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Even the blueberry muffins we bought in the coffee shop were delicious. The balcony view was beautiful. My only complaint is the beds were very hard and made getting a good night's sleep difficult. Overall I would stay there again and think the head chef is a hidden gem.

This is nice hotel in a fine location on the beach. Our room was clean, and everything worked. The staff people we had contact with were competent and helpful. We would stay there again. However, they really do not need to nickel and dime customers with a fee for parking in their garage, and they should go back to a free breakfast. They charge enough for their rooms.

I attended a ladies conference at The Best Western Premier The Tides. It is awesome! I hghly recommend it! The rooms are spacious, the parking garage is a major plus, the breakfast is fantastic, and the two bars are awesome, and the beach is just steps away. Most importantly, the hotel staff, servers, bartenders, and housekeeping personnel were all so friendly and accomodating; everyone made sure we had a fabulous experience.

Hotel facility was great, friendly staff, very clean rooms, grounds, eating/bar areas. View was awesome from our gulf side balcony. The drawback was there was an overwhelming pot smell in the hallways, elevators, and our room/balcony...causing us to not be able to sit on our balcony, at night especially. It was never resolved and got frustrated complaining about it and felt it wasn't handled correctly or efficiently. So if you are looking for a "non-smoking facility" as it was advertised on their site...you may want to rethink this place.

The location and atmosphere was awesome. The staff is friendly. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Our family enjoyed our time there.

This was my 4th visit to The Tides and it was just as excellent as the times before, the last being 5 years ago. I almost don't want to be too truthful, because I don't want it to be too popular!!!! The staff throughout the hotel is the best - check-in friendly and easy (Kara and evening staff), Stefany at brunch as well as James' omelets, Patrick who is everywhere (!!!), Helder at the poolside bar. Hotel is very clean, beds very comfortable, location perfect, pool clean and inviting, security great, brunch delicious ($14+). Hotel is small enough that I saw some people often and enjoyed getting to know them. Dining room has abundant floor to ceiling windows that give wonderful, peaceful view. Dolphins at end of pier every early morning. I am ready to go back!!

We have never had a bad experience at the Tides. They always take care of us. This was our second time here for my 67th birthday and the first time for 64th. We planned to be back for 68.

The Room, Lobby, Coffee & Breakfast area, Fitness Center, all the Bathrooms, the Pool and Pool-Bar area were all very clean. I was very impressed with how clean this place is. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. The fruit bar is amazing! I especially love the white & milk chocolate chips with my fruit and yogurt. And the omelet the gentleman especially prepared for me was phenomenal! There is something for everyone at this breakfast. The coffee is great! My new favorite place. The best Overall Hospitality experience I've ever had and I've traveled all over the U.S. I will definitely stay here every time I visit Orange Beach.

Hotel had everything we needed. Morning coffee in the lobby was good. Pool and beach access were great. Best part of the trip was our bartender Spring! She was the best.

I typically stay in a condo in Orange Beach but this may have converted me to a Tides customer for life. Great location and pristine.

We've stayed at the Tides many times in the past. The customer service was exemplary. The front desk staff, restaurant staff, pool deck cocktail lounge staff (Spring who managed the pool bar in particular), housekeeping and the maintenance staff all did a great job. Even when there was any issue that came up, the staff corrected immediately

Absolutely amazing experience. The hotel was nice and the customer service was first rate. The hotel view is absolutely beautiful. We will be booking again in the future.

Overall a great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Extremely knowledgeable about the area and what it has to offer. A few things were noticed that could be improved one day both ice machines ran out of ice. Last year there was machine down stairs for ice chest. We were told it was out of service this year. Minor inconvenience. Also there was no ventilation fan in the restroom in the room.

Motel is very clean. Staff is pleasant and helpful. We booked a room with 2 queens and a bunkbed for 3 teenage girls and it was perfect! The extra space was greatly appreciated.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the front desk staff were super sweet and got our room ready so fast for us! Having beach access was an absolute plus for us with our kids. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was just incredible in all areas. Highly recommended! We had a small issue with our reservation but they corrected in pronto. The location was just right for us with a very short stroll to the water's edge.

Spring at the pool bar was amazing! She helped my family who had a situation needing discretion. I saw her helping guests with a bubbly attitude and really tried to make everyone's experience a positive one. She's a true asset! The rooms were awesome, the other staff were great and breakfast was spectacular we loved the fresh made omelettes and crepes. Elevators were very slow but that's the only negative I found. Parking was great and we appreciated our stay greatly! Thank you!

This is a beautiful hotel right on the gulf, with stunning views. The place is clean and the service was great. But, WE paid WAY too much! For 3 nights (ocean front room) it ended up being $1,931. There were charges we weren't aware of since the initial message sent to me said our charge would be $1,524. Imagine my surprise! I was aware I paid an upcharge for $120, but that doesn't explain the $407 difference. You will pay a charge for parking and it's an additional charge for breakfast. There's no complimentary bottles of water in the room. At that price all of those things should have been included! Not to mention all the taxes! There's county tax, state tax, and lodging tax. The $1,931 only included a $5 item from the pantry. No drinks or breakfast on this bill. So be aware! Check out all taxes and fees before agreeing!

Everything about this place we loved.. people were so friendly. Place was clean and pleasant. If I had one slightly negative thing it would be the drink prices at the pool bar. Kinda high for a small glass. But we give it all a 10 out of 10!!!!!

It was amazing. You could not get better service anywhere! Most friendly staff I have ever encountered . Beds were so comfortable, towels were so soft and fresh. The balcony was so relaxing facing the beach with beautiful white sand.I did not want to leave. My best vacation ever! Also exceptionally clean. Steps from the beach!❤️

LOVED this hotel! We were pleasantly surprised with such a clean, nicely decorated hotel with such a super location directly on the beach! Our room with a balcony faced the ocean front! Great pool, great breakfast! Friendly staff! 100% we will return!

This is a fantastic property! All the amenities you want with a resort, without all the people. Staff treats everyone like royalty. Entire place is updated and clean. Room was comfortable and always smelled so fresh. Beach access is perfect. The chair rentals are usually available, but they don't mind if you just plop down a towel. it really is a great central location

Everything was perfect, The service staff was very friendly, the breakfast buffet was delicious , there was a lot of variety and good price $14 adults and $9 kids, I would definitely come back,mi girls love the swimming pool area, and my husband and me the bar lol

The hotel was very nice. The staff was helpful and a pleasure to speak with. The breakfast was good. It's different from most BWs bc its not free but still worth the price. The room was very clean as well as the hotel itself. There's 2 bars in the hotel and the bar that leads to the beach has some great drink choices. They also serve pizza which was really good for my family and I. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance from hotel. I'll definitely be coming back to this hotel again and Jeana the GM is awesome.

When my family travels for vacation the one thing that we look for is a clean space to relax and sleep. If it's not clean we immediately pack our bags. But The Tides definitely exceeded our expectations. The front desk welcomed us and the room was everything they said it would be. It was also refreshing to not have to stop by and ask for clean towels after our day in the beach. Whenever we visit Orange Beach again The Tides will definitely be our go to place to stay.

The room was perfect for my family. It had two queen sized beds and bunk beds for the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful everyday we were there. Everyday without having to ask and plead they changed out our towels in the room. The breakfast was great and the bar staff made things so convenient. We enjoyed the week.

The views were amazing and weather was great. The room was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was great too. Beach was very quiet and clean. Bar was nice as well. White sand with chairs and umbrellas for guest. Balcony was very good and relaxing.

Location is great as it has beach access and close to several dining and shopping areas. Covered parking which helps keep your car cool during those warmer days. Nice bar by the pool and coffee bar at the reception and breakfast area. Very clean hotel and friendly staff!!

I went to the inaugural Sand In My Boots fest and stayed here with my 9 yr old daughter. Everyone was so helpful and nice, and she loved the breakfast options! Convenient location and good parking rates, too…. ………………………………………………………………………..

Best Western Tides is the perfect location, close to everything. Beautiful, white, powdery sand and just steps away from the hotel. Try Kit's Bloody Marys! Staff is friendly and helpful. Get an oceanfront room. View from our room was amazing!

The pillows are uncomfortable. This is the first Best Western where complimentary coffee and breakfast is not available. We paid over 6.00 for 2 coffees and another 5 for 2 muffins. For a fee you can purchase breakfast comparable to other Best Western properties.

This was a great place to stay. The rooms were very clean. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and made sure your stay was comfortable. We had an ocean front room with balcony that overlooked the beach and water. We would sit on the balcony in the mornings and watch people surfing and sometimes we would be up early enough to see the sunrise. At night, I would sit on the balcony and look at the stars and moon and listen to the waves crashing onto the beach. How relaxing!! We didn't eat the breakfast buffet because it was a little costly at $14.50 per person, so we ate the bacon egg and cheese breakfast bagel for $8 in the coffee cafe by the front desk. It was delicious and very filling. We highly recommend you get one. When we checked in, the front desk was selling cookies. We purchased the lemon cookies and the macadamia nut cookies. They were very good. I do want to note that when you get there to check in, you need to go to the left to the elevators and go to the fourth floor for check in. It was a little confusing, but later we saw a sign. We talked to multiple people that also said they were a bit confused when they first got there too. We felt safe while staying at the hotel and it is located in a good location. You have to use your room key to access the pool outside, the walk way to the beach and also to get to the ice machines. The bed was a little hard for me, but it was OK for my husband. Overall, this was a great place to stay. If we are ever in Orange Beach again, we will definitely stay here again.

I know my reviews are long, so here is a TL;DR for you... *My room (407) was spotlessly clean *Any maintenance issues are promptly addressed *Room 407 has a lovely ocean view but is directly over the pool; noisy during daylight hours. Ask for a higher room/one away from the pool if sensitive to noise *Breakfast is delicious; the menu changes daily and has a wide array of items *Shrimp and Grits is to die for *Conecuh sausage is 1000% better than the grey links *Get Orange Blossom muffins when you see them; they go fast *Staff is wonderful; all departments deserve a shoutout for being friendly, helpful, and efficient. They love their jobs, and it shows After a fantastic visit to the Tides last year, I decided I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday in a place I knew and loved...and this time was even better than the last! The helpful Michael made check-in quick and easy. Once we were in our room (#407), we were greeted by a spotless room that smelled fresh and was very cosy. (Shoutout to the housekeeper who serviced my room, keep up the excellent work!) There was a slight maintenance problem... the outlet behind the night table didn't work, so my husband returned to the desk to ask for assistance. Michael was kind enough to lend us an extension cord so we could charge our items overnight; a work order was placed for the outlet, and it was repaired promptly the next morning by a friendly engineering guy (who remembered my husband's name the next day when he saw him in the elevator!) Room 407 has a lovely beach view-unfortunately, it is directly above the pool, and when there are screaming kids (and adults) playing in it, it is annoying if you plan on spending any time out on your balcony. Try to get a higher floor room if available. The breakfast is a thing of beauty. I can't write this review without commenting on the SHRIMP AND GRITS...WOW! I saw the advert in the elevator with the picture of that luscious dish and I was lucky enough to get it on our last day there (menu changes daily)...and it was DELICIOUS! I love the "local flavour" and it is well worth the price of admission. The other items up for offer on the breakfast bar were awesome as well (pro tip-skip the puny grey looking sausage links and go for the Conecuh Sausage-your mouth will thank you.) There was an array of choices to suit anybody's palate-fresh fruit, delicious muffins available for purchase next to the front desk (The Orange Blossom flavour is the best...it's often sold out, so when you do see it, grab one!) delightful little pancakes...and I even saw smoked salmon one morning...perfect for making your own bagels and lox! (or just eating it as a tasty protein). You can get an omelet or a crepe made to order by one of the lively gentlemen at the omelet station, and I guarantee you won't leave hungry! All staff we encountered were cheerful, helpful, and were genuinely happy to be at work, from housekeeping to front desk, to the breakfast folks, the pool, and engineering, smiles and hellos were never in short supply. As someone who has worked in various hotels in the past, I know how difficult it is to keep everyone happy in such a demanding industry. I had the pleasure of chatting with one of your wonderful employees, and he stated how great it is to work for people who really care! (Special shout out to David-you're phenomenal!) Thanks to everybody who did those little things to make my birthday special, like the free muffins, the birthday breakfast, and just the simple act of wishing me a happy birthday :) . *On a personal note, the care and concern the staff have shown helped to uplift me in a time of sorrow. My father passed a few weeks before my 50th birthday, and this trip was twofold-a celebration of my transitioning into the next stage of my life, and as a time to reflect upon my dad's life. Staying in a beautiful location surrounded by joyful people is just what I needed right now.

I had a wonderful stay here. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the views were spectacular. The onsite pool bar, the pizza shop and little snack store were an added bonus, if you're too exhausted to go anywhere after a long day at the beach, they've got everything you need. The staff was great. I have no complaints!

I stayed 3 nights on a tour and enjoyed The Tides. The hotel has an excellent location directly onto the beach, which was impressive. Rooms are large , very clean, and comfortable . I didn't have a balcony, which was a shame . Drinks at the pool bar are expensive, although Kit the Barman was a great guy . I really enjoyed this hotel and would highly recommend.

Very clean ,wonderful housekeeper,she kept our room,stocked and freshen our bed daily, our room didn't disappoint, the view was spectacular with hot tub and pool , plenty of sitting or lounging, with a wet bar, the pool area is beautiful at night and the pool is warm, also has a hot tub

Very friendly staff breakfast was very good just kind of expensive 14.50 a person . Clean facility pool area was awesome . Staff was really great. This was our 1st time in that area and the whole area is a good vibe . Parking is 10.00 a day that was kind of crazy too pay .

Mattresses are a joke. For the price i would expect a decent mattress. Mattresses sunk in the middle. Unable to sleep comfortably. Coffee machine did not work in our room. Front desk and breakfast was awesome. Thomas the omelet chef was courteous and very professional as well as our waitress. Warm pool was a good change of pace.

Cannot rave enough about The Tides. Great pool which is always lively. Hotel is on Orange Beach, has private access and beachfront. Staff was entirely great. Excellent location. Private patios off rooms. We had a beachfront room that had just a phenomenal view. We have young kids, and were very pleased there was a lifeguard station just a few buildings away. Orange Beach has a really friendly, chill vibe. Tides was clean, well designed, great staff, great location. Highly, highly recommend.

The breakfast buffet was the best part of our stay! They have made to order omelets by a chef named Thomas that were the best we've ever had! All of the staff were helpful and super nice. We were there with our high-school softball team and they made everyone feel right at home. We will be back!!

Good overall stay. room was spacious, comfortable and just fine for a 2-day business trip. all amenities were good and in line with what advertised. probably the best thing was the ocean view, this definitely made this hotel stand out for me.

Nice hotel great views and nice staff the pizza was great and the pools were heated, loved the coffee shop the staff can make you anything you want everyone we talked to went out of there way to make sure our stay was perfect. Great location to restaurants and activities.

It's a lovely hotel with the friendliness staff to accommodate me and my family! Definitely will be coming back soon for our next family vacation!! Or maybe even a weekend get away. Love the stay beds and rooms were clean and breakfast was great love it prices was reasonable. Room was full of towels and kids rooms is a twin bed literally beside the parents room both areas have television room is very spacious and love the workers very nice.

This is a great location especially if you are traveling with family. Close to a lot of activities and awesome beach setting. We will definitely be back! The hotel was very accommodating and tidy. I highly recommend this location!!!!!!!!!

I stayed here 4 nights & was very impressed by every amenity I used & by the staff I encountered. Room was spacious, updated & clean. Pool & hot tub were on the oceanfront & I used them each day. The bar on the pool deck wasn't open at any time I was there. There was a bar in the lobby but only open till 8pm & I usually went out for dinner & didn't return till after the bar closed. Breakfast is NOT included in the room rate, however it is available for $14.50 daily for adults. I've had lots of stomach issues/surgeries & cannot eat a child's portion at any sitting, so I didn't have breakfast there as was more $$ than I was willing to pay for what little I'd eat. Overall, a great stay & I'll definitely stay there again when back in the area!!

First impressions are everything and we weren't able to check in at check in time. During off season and the parking deck was only about 1/3 full & not busy at all this is unacceptable. We had a 2 queen beach facing w/ balcony. It wasn't as nice as I had hoped since the balconies are very noise & we could hear every word of folks from 2 rooms over. We could even hear them while we were inside. The beds really need to be replaced in 525. The side closest to the night table were unusable, therefore made the table unusable during the night. The divots are very bad where people sit on the side of the bed closest to the night table. I received an email asking if everything was ok with the room & I responded that it was not and the beds were bad and never got a response. Staff was friendly. Elevators were strange w/ no up & down arrow. Breakfast looked nice even though we didn't eat. Did not hear noise from neighbors but could hear hallway noise. With adjusted expectations on the balcony experience & new beds, I'd stay here again but only in the off season. I can't imagine the noise on the balconies on spring break.

This hotel is clean, well located for my purpose of my stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean, had a wide variety of food for breakfast as well as a great view. In top 5% of the hundreds of hotels where I have stayed over last 50 years.

Very clean facilities and wonderful friendly staff. Breakfast and cooks were awesome. They welcomed our softball team and took care of them. Had an issue with our coffee maker in our room, and they had it resolved in 10 minutes. Never had a place do that before.

My wife and I had a wonderful four night stay at the Tides over the MLK weekend. Parking was very convenient to elevators. The property itself is situated closer to the beach than most oceanfront hotels I've stayed in. It is extremely well maintained and appointed. It also included a heated outdoor pool and weekend bar. Our beachfront room was wonderfully close to the sounds of the waves and the sight of the beach. The balcony was a nice place to soak it all in. The room was extremely clean and beautifully appointed with all the amenities needed. It had plenty of conveniently located electrical and usb plugs for all our devices. It also had plenty of drawer, closet, and counter-top space for all our belongings. It included a nice walk-in shower. All the staff we encountered were very professional, courteous, and helpful. Our stay included daily housekeeping service ( a luxury these post-covid days). On the downside, I was disappointed that their wonderful breakfast was no longer free and that parking was $10 per night. However, their breakfast buffet cannot be beat for the price. The quality, taste, and selection of the breakfast buffet is outstanding and far beyond the usual hotel fare. It also included personally prepared crapes and omelets. The dining room itself is a nice experience. It is enclosed with ceiling to floor picture windows allowing light and beautiful views of the beach. The wait staff were wonderful and polite. This beachfront hotel is a gem and has become one of my overall favorites. I've stayed at several Best Western Premier locations. This property is by far the best.

This hotel is nothing short of amazing! This place is seconds away from a beautiful beach. Be mindful that you will have to pay for breakfast there and other commodities but it is well worth the price! Staff were amazing, and always mindful of their guests. We ended up staying an additional night due to having a wonder experience there at the Tide. We definitely will be staying there again.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel or the people that work there. It is like a piece of paradise. Best views, best breakfast, best people!!! It is always very clean and we have everything we need. Always look forward to going back!!!

Due to a change in plans, we arrived in Orange Beach a day before our Airbnb rental was available. So I needed a one night stay. We selected the Tides, and I'm so glad we did! The hotel has kind of a unique layout - when you enter from the parking lot, you have to take the elevator upstairs to the main lobby. The check-in was efficient, quick and friendly, and our hotel room overlooked the water so the view was amazing. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, we so enjoyed all the variations, including the made to order crêpes! We were able to get beach towels from the front desk and went out to the beach where we rented chairs and an umbrella for the day. The beach is beautiful, and very clean. The hotel gives you a wristband to wear, so we were able to come back onto the pool deck and use the restrooms throughout the day. We also ordered lunch from the pool deck. The menu consists entirely of just pizza, but that was fine (it was so delicious!) and hit the spot. Then, in the late afternoon when our Airbnb rental was available, we just returned our beach towels, and hit the road. Everyone there was very friendly and accommodating, and I would highly recommend!

Less than I expected from my previous stay. My first room had no television service at all. The staff said that the maintenance person was not on duty and they had no way to correct the issue. Was moved to a smaller room than was reserved after midnight. When finally getting ready to go to sleep, noticed a large clump of dark hair on the comforter of the bed. Moved to the other bed but couldn't imagine what else was dirty. Needless to say, it wasn't a restful nights sleep. I took photos and videos of the problems and presented to the front desk staff. They offered to cancel the reservation nor they could have the smaller room stripped of the linens and to offer a free breakfast that morning. Surprised by how they treated a Platinum Member who frequently stays in their hotels

Beds were comfortable, the hotel was really clean, and the people were really nice and helpful!! We really enjoyed our stay at The Tide. Nice heated pool and beach access at all times. Best place to stay. Amazing view! It was nice to have a heated pool were my son can enjoy the pool and hear the waves next to us! We will be going back.

Amazing Staff, Amazing Amenities. The hotel rooms were beautifully decorated, roomy & comfortable. Good location & I really appreciated the coffee shop & breakfast buffet. Hot tub was also awesome. I come to Orange Beach a couple times a year & would definitely stay here again.

1 lamp in the entire room. Bath and entrance has overhead light. Drinks at the bar are ridiculously expensive. I was there until dark. The lights on the pool had not been reset so lots of kids swimming in the dark. Parents brought flashlights!!Don't get ice unless you have your key with you, inconvenient, ugh.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar staff were very talented. The food was delicious. All employees seemed happy to be at work! The room was clean. 10 /10 recommend !! Oh and Perfect spot to see sunset.

Everything was great as usual. We stay here every time we go to Orange Beach. The beach view is great from the balcony. The restaurants near by are great and the traffic is laid back. We plan to use this spot every time. The change to the free breakfast was new this time so we didn't opt to pay

Great place to stay. Have stayed at this location many times over the past years. Comfortable rooms. Beds are nice. Now- what I found this time around was different. Since my last stay, granted it was probably 7 years ago...you have to pay $14.50 for breakfast. For so long, this location was like any other Best Western and breakfast was provided. We passed on this. Another issue. Coffee selection in the room for the keurig was limited and my friend tried it, said wasn't that great. Went to lobby, where best western historically has free coffee for guest. Not this time, have a coffee bar, where you have to pay. Yep, we passed. Prior to arrival, I checked available rooms at the location, noting a available room with a gulf view and balcony. I asked at check in if we could be upgraded at to this room at the same rate we had for our initial reservation. This was denied. Great location and place, just not typical Best Western accommodations. Would I stay there again, probably so, due to it's location and view of the area.

While the room was nice , the fact that the bar doesn't offer lunch options means we won't be back. We rented a beach chair /umbrella setup with the plan to stay all day. We are used to beach bars offering food menus. The only option here is order a pizza in the bar and pick it up at the lobby desk. We are here for 3 days. Even if we chose the pizza option we wouldn't want it more than once. There are no nearby beach restaurants within walking distance like we see in our favorite destinations.

The place is amazing. Very nice staff and they are very accommodating. The breakfast buffet is very good and Mr. Thomas who handles the omelette & crepe station is THE BEST!! Not only is he The Best omelette maker but an even better person. Great man and so glad I got to meet you this past weekend. I can't wait for another omelette!! Thank you to everyone there and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would like to see some handicapped accessibility to the water at the beach and more handicapped rooms. We stayed at the Best Western in Tenn and it was horrible. The beds were cleaned and had wet bedding where it wasn't completely dried when put on the beds very very smelly. We used our own blankets and pillows from the car. It was very disturbing.

I stayed here four years ago. Something has changed but a lot of things for the better. The hotel is clean. Parking is great. The breakfast is definitely worth the money. Everyone was very nice. Right on the beach the bar and the pool were amazing. Definitely worth it.

Never had a better hotel staff … they are what makes it great! Truly everyone we came across was absolutely great. Hotel is older than many in the beach but the staff are top notch! Breakfast was great, pizza, and bar great additions. Loved it there!

Very nice hotel. Beautiful beach and views. All the workers were nice , friendly and helpful. It would be so helpful to have the Weather Channel on the TV. We were evacuated from Hurricane Milton. We wanted 24/7 info on the impacts and where would be affected. No Weather Channel? On a huge TV with a bunch of channels? That was very disappointing.

The room and hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub was nice. Easy access to the beautiful beach. The breakfast was really good. I found everything satisfactory. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee shop did not open until 7 am and coffee was not available until then. They ran out of regular coffee for the rooms. It would be nice to have coffee available in the lobby from 5 am-7 am as well.

This hotel has always been one of our favorites and it's still great if you don't mind paying extra for breakfast now. We use to stay here and they had free continental breakfast but that has changed not to where it cost about 14 dollars for adults and 7 for kids. They use to have a free hot chocolate and coffee machine in the lobby that my kids loved to use especially in the winter time that they got rid of now too so that was disappointing. Overall it's still a great hotel with friendly staff.

This is our go to place when we visit Orange Beach every year. I believe this was our 6th time staying here. We did not receive our welcome package this time as we normally do for being BW Rewards members. A few items are starting to show a little wear but everything was functional. We had a minor problem with the commode flushing and the in room safe. Maintenance corrected both problems promptly. One of the elevators had a small vibration and strange sound at times. The ice machine at the pool was still out of service as it was back in May when we were here. The breakfast was very good as in the past. It was enjoyable having Shantol or Bailey greeting us every morning. Overall our stay was very good. We plan to return next year.

Highly recommend this beach-front hotel! Panoramic ocean views with spacious rooms, a breakfast buffet with excellent food, coffee bar, tiki bar and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again in the future on our next beach trip!

This is a very nice hotel right on the beach. The staff and service were excellent. I'll be staying here again. I enjoyed the selection for breakfast and loves the fresh omelets. The poolside bar was great and although small, the pool was refreshing. The hot tub was great!

Staff was absolutely amazing from check in to the breakfast staff rooms were immaculate the views were gorgeous will definitely be returning for trip very soon. Can't believe how polite and courteous the entire staff was. TOP NOTCH!!!!!!

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Premier Hotel, Orange Beach, Al. The staff are soo nice, the room was clean and the beach was amazing. My family was very happy. I stayed only one night but it will be a memorable vacation. Definitely, I will come back.

This is a stunning location for a hotel. Right on the beach and near to an amazing restaurant - Zeke's. The hotel only offers pizza as food of an evening but there is a fabulous restaurant a stones throw away called Zeke's which is on the marina. The breakfast is outstanding. Such a choice; fresh fruit, cereals, fully cooked, pastries and even pizza! They even offer to make omelettes or crepes especially for you.

Wonderful place staff was excellent especially Arie she was a lovely young lady rooms were clean and not that small either they have there own entrance to the beach plus a bar by the pool they also serve breakfast for 14.99 I didn't try it but there pizza was great

Coach found us a group rate for our daughters' soccer tournament this past weekend. Not only were the rates very reasonable, but the hotel was great! The rooms were perfect, and that view in the lobby/dining area is gorgeous! All the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal with Thomas whipping up fresh omelettes and crepes! They even openers up a bit early to accommodate our early morning soccer games. Highly recommend this Best Western directly on the beach.

Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall fantastic experience. Only downside was you had to pay for breakfast. That being said tho, the breakfast was very very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!!!!!

On the beach, friendly service, can't beat it. Went with the family (3 kids under 10). Got into an easy cadence of beach, dinner, and then hotel pool at night. Great location on the strip, all kinds of great seafood near by (driving, but you would want to cross the 4 lane road with littles.)

We had a nice relaxing couple of days here and are excited to return asap!! Everyone was extremely accommodating and friendly. Our waiter at breakfast “Bailey” was TOP NOTCH and very polite and went above and beyond to make our meal special!

We have returned to BW Premier “TheTides” in Orange Beach many times over the years and with each return visit this wonderful hotel has become even more wonderful. Every aspect of this hotel is perfect. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Cleanliness is constantly assured. Security for guest safety is a priority for every BW team member and is maintained throughout the hotel, from the parking garage, the pool and spa, the elevators, all public spaces and of course the main attraction ~ the rooms. Comfortable beds, cushy pillows, ample space, great storage, balconies with vistas of the ocean and bathrooms that encourage a relaxed bath or a quick shower. My wife appreciates big mirrors in and outside of the bathroom. Finally, every proud residence has a great room and for The Tides it's their grand lobby on the fourth floor, which serves multiple purposes: guest registration, coffee bar, lounge, gathering place to relax outside on the large balcony overlooking the ocean and most importantly, it is where the most extraordinary breakfast you will experience in any hotel on the planet. Crepes made to order, omelettes made to order, a variety of superior fruits, meats, yogurts, bread and my personal favorite ~ creole shrimp, various types of grits, cheeses and sauces galore. The Tides is the one hotel that you should consider above all others when traveling to coastal Alabama ~ including all the fancy and expensive high rises up and down the beach. Safe travels to you and yours, wherever you may roam on your adventures!

The easiest way to explain this place is a piece of Paradise!!!! It started before we went speaking to Kara on the phone. She is so helpful and the sweetest. In the morning Thomas made the best crêpes you will ever eat . So glad we got to meet him. He was such a pleasure. Gearld made tacos in the afternoon and they were yummy! He is so friendly and always makes us feel so welcome. We look forward to seeing him every time we go. Thanks to everyone!!!

The room was very clean and comfortable. Above what I expected. Staff was pleasant, polite and professional. Breakfast was amazing. We had shrimp and grits with cook to order omelette. View from hotel dining area was awesome with outside dining option. View from room was outstanding!! Truly enjoyed my stay, it exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this hotel to all family and friends.

Great stay at the beach! Clean room and A/C ran good and cold. Lots of storage throughout and room layout is fantastic for families: 2 queen beds and bonus bunk beds room, and two TV's with tons of channels. The staff here are helpful and friendly. $14.99 for Breakfast buffet was extremely Worth It, with beautiful beach views while you eat made-to-order crepes and omelettes and loads of fresh fruit, bacon and sausage! One morning they had yummy shrimp & grits too! Highly recommend BW The Tides for your Gulf Shores stay.

Excellent, Excellent staff and location. Great breakfast. Clean everywhere. Right on the beach. So convenient. Only complaint was that the bed could have been a bit softer but I can over look that because everything else was so good. This was me and my families first time in Orange Beach and it won't be our last. We will be back next year and staying at BW Premier!?

The Hotel is really nice and clean. The only issue was the Construction next door. Did not interrupt sleep at all. The coffee shop was great and so was the pool bar. Staff was all wonderful. Beach location very close to all things you would need.

Beds are not as comfortable as I would have liked but room was very clean. I purchased a foam mattress topper from JCP before leaving on vacation to add to a bed and it worked fine. The 4th floor checkin and eating area was an amazing view overlooking the ocean and Orange Beach. We would stay here again.

Several things to like about the BW Tides: location (right on beach, very short drive to most restaurants), nice pool + hot tub, pizza available to order in-house, towels for pool/beach, pretty quiet & didn't hear noises at night... A few minor downsides: $11/day for parking, hot tub didn't have jets, breakfast wasn't complimentary, only two elevators (could have used 1+ more!)... Overall, a great place and would definitely stay again!

We made a quick family trip to the beach this weekend. Hotel was a great location. Loved having ability to rent beach chairs too. The only thing that wasn't exactly as advertised was that we reserved beach view. We might have been able to squint and barely see the corner of the beach. Mainly it was construction site view. We didn't complain as otherwise hotel was great! Would still stay there again.

Clean, convenient to beach, restaurants, and shops. Pool had multiple depths which is great when you have kids. Flavored and plain water was available in the lobby and pool areas. Fitness center was a good size, and water was also available there, as well as towels to wipe down equipment when finished.

Just what we were looking for. We booked the room last minute and we couldn't have been more pleased. The bunk beds added just the right amount of space needed. Also, the pool and beach access were very convenient. Let's not forget about the pizza, amazing! Will definitely book again.

Fantastic hotel! It's a fairly new building, so everything is in pristine condition. The location is phenomenal with direct beach access. Where the hotel is located, the beach isn't as crowded. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. Overall, a great place to stay if you're visiting Orange Beach.

We went on our honeymoon. I didn't realize i had booked a non-ocean view room and called the hotel, they completely upgraded us to a full ocean front room. The rooms were very beautiful and very clean. We will be back. Room 722 holds a very loved place in our hearts. Thank you for the Tide Team!

Pros: Rooms are clean and up to date.Access to the beach is easy and convenient. The tacos and pizza are delicious. Cons: Construction is happening next door. A partial view is NOT worth the extra money! We were not warned about this before arriving. It is an eyesore from the balcony and very loud! Also, hotel guest pay $10.00 a night for parking. There are no other parking options available.

The best place to stay. The people working are so nice and friendly. The rooms are nice, clean and the beds are very comfortable. Such a beautiful place. If we needed anything all we had to do was ask. We had a beautiful view of the beach nice access to it.

The hotel was super and all the services and amenities was great as well. The breakfast was great the food was delicious. The views were very beautiful and breathtaking to look at. The pizza was very good and flavorful and nice and hot. Best hotel

Previously breakfast included in room charge was self searing and wonderful. now $14 and waited on by unpleasant staff. Had to wait to be seated for a while there was not even self service coffee.

The beds were super comfortable. Check-in process was seamless. Pool bar was amazing. The beach access was conveniently located off the pool deck. This is not a huge hotel therefore the amount of people was just right for a weekend in June at the beach. Overall will be staying here again.

My mom and i were taking my kids and some friends to gulf shores for my daughter's birthday. We found this room literally on the way there and it was the most reasonably priced. We get there and its everything we were looking for! Pool, hot tub, bar, walking distance to the beautiful beach, enough beds for all of us. We will be back as soon as we can!

Long Story Short: If you had a 3-5 family unit, then this hotel is one that you should consider. My clan was pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay. If you come here expecting a 5-Star experience, then you will be let down. For those with an open mind and open budget to match, you will get your pennies worth staying at this property with an EXTREMELY short walk to the beach and neighboring eateries.

This hotel is clean, professional, kind service and safe. Breakfast cost about $15 a person and it is an average buffet with an incredible view. The pizza restaurant and the bar only stay open until 8pm. Access to the beach is super easy and the pool area is nice. There is a washer dryer available. The view from the right side of the building is amazing. There is no hotel on that side blocking the view. Parking is shaded.

This was our 5th time staying here and we really enjoy the Tides. On our arrival while unloading our car and getting ready to enter, the fire alarm went off. We were delayed about 30 minutes being able to use the elevator. This was not the hotel's fault, we later learned that someone was smoking in their room and set the alarm off. Our ocean front room was very nice as usual. No problems at all with the room during our 4 night stay. On Tuesday we found that the ice machine by the pool for coolers was not working. No big deal, we did not try it again while there. The next day we went to the pool bar and could not get a drink because the crushed ice machine was not working. The was no big deal either, I did see it working later that day. Now to the breakfast change set up. This was our first time there since the change. We did not mind at all paying extra for the breakfast. The problem was having to be seated and not being able to get our own drinks. We prefer going back to the way it was in 2023, to seat ourselves and get our own coffee. One last thing, the door leading from the stairwell to our 6th floor was never secured while we were there. I think maintenance had a work order in for an external door company to repair it. We plan to return in September.

Charged $11 per day for parking. Breakfast no longer complimentary, $14.95 per person. Several hotels in close proximity with free parking, free breakfast, and more updated/nicer amenities. Also a major inconvenience was having TWO false fire alarms in a 24 hour period. The hotel had to be evacuated both times, and one of them occurred at 4 AM. Imaging being woken up to a fire alarm in your hotel at 4 AM and trying to quickly get your family down 5 flights of stairs. According to front desk personnel, there was no fire either time, both were “system errors.” Would not stay here again.

The Tides continues to shine as one of our very favorite hotels. Clean rooms and all common areas. Kind staff especially Kara who goes above and beyond for us every year during our stay. She is a role model for excellent customer service and just being a kind and good person. (This woman deserves a raise!) The new breakfast was excellent and despite the new charge for it, we found it to be so worth the price and so enjoyable. Kudos to Sandra who works the breakfast front. She is kind and on the ball and the cooks do an outstanding job on keeping the varied buffet delicious! Tacos and quesadillas are now offered at the bar along with many fun tropical drink selections. Beach and pool are fabulous. We hated to leave after 5 nights as we usually do!

I had to quit my job due to health issues, and after a year of painful nerve treatments, I decided it would be nice to unwind and heal at the beach. My first impression of the Tides Hotel is how beautiful and clean it is. Well kept, spotless, and tidy-not an easy feat in these times. After years of working in housekeeping you notice the details, and my room passed my inspection with flying colours. Tub spotless, trash can clean, bag secured properly, bedding crisp. spotless and beds made tightly (my beds would've passed the quarter test!) towels fluffy, clean, and with no signs of wear. (kudos to the laundry folks!) Surfaces dusted, polished and no fingerprints anywhere...the only snag was a stain on the side of one of the dining chairs, but it looked like paint/or nail polish?) The halls and common areas were clean, trash cans not overflowing, and the whole building smelled so fresh and so clean! A shout out to your housekeeping department-and especially the housekeeper (s) who cleaned room 601! A/C unit was powerful-the room stayed cool and comfortable during our stay, with no funky smell. *One thing you might need to take note of-please check the temperature of your refrigerator...mine was temping at 43F-45F, and it's not safe to store perishable leftovers in it above 40F. Had to toss half a (delicious) two-day old shrimp pizza because I didn't want to make the 8hr drive home with food poisoning. My room (601) had a really nice view from the XL balcony-of both the beach and the city (corner room). There is a large crane /drill in the lot next to the building-luckily, they were not working during my stay, but I can imagine it would be problematic when work begins/resumes. The big drawback was the traffic noise-if you are looking to have a quiet dinner outside or take a nap in the lounger, it's so noisy that you can't hear the ocean over the traffic until well after sunset. Kind of disappointing, but the view through the thoughtfully designed glass balcony railing sort of makes up for it. (just have to look past the crane, lol). We used that balcony every day, though, in spite of the noise! Hubby and I liked sitting up there instead of being down on the beach-no crowds, no sand in your shoes, and you can have dinner overlooking the sea :) Interactions with staff members ranged from warm and friendly (housekeeping, breakfast) to lukewarm (front desk.) My husband reported that a couple of F/D people were not overwhelmingly friendly, just "there", although one young lady at the desk was very personable and helpful. The luggage carts are...weird. Instead of the full-sized ones you usually see at hotels, the ones here look like the little Smart Cartes you see at the airport. Easier to steer around than the big ones but be prepared to make multiple trips or use bungee cords if you have lots of stuff. Completely useless but fun observation-the hotel employees' uniforms are really cute. Love that the colours are all unified throughout the hotel, from the rooms to the uniforms. :) Other than a few minor issues, I was very happy with my stay, and will return...hopefully for my 50th birthday! Thanks to all the people who work hard to keep this hotel running every day!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything from the room to the Lobby was sparkling clean. Food was readily available through their breakfast buffet, wrapped and freshly prepared sandwiches and wraps, fresh pizza and lots of other goodies. We loved sitting in the lobby or open balcony area looking out and listening to the beach. The hotel pool and beach access were perfect for easy access. So many great options- this stays on my “return to” list!

This place is wonderful! Everyone who worked there was excellent. The room was great. It's very clean. I recommend staying at the Tides! You must order the pizza from the restaurant. The hotel has many safety measures in place to keep you safe. We'll definitely be coming back.

Staff was very friendly. Hotel had beautiful views and was right on the beach. Pool was refreshing, as well as the poolside bar. You can't beat the location. Only downside is that they no longer offer free breakfast. Rooms are very modern and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a very good hotel in a fine location on the beach. The staff people were friendly and competent. Our room was clean, and everything worked. The first three floors are a parking garage with covered parking on 2 and 3. The price of the rooms varies depending on the view or lack of view. Rooms without a view can be fairly inexpensive. The hotel was well maintained, which is not a given when travelling these days. For people who have stayed there before, the free breakfast is gone. They charge for it now, which lessens the value a bit. We would stay there again if returning to the area.

This is a well maintained property with a super friendly staff that goes above and beyond their duties to help you feel welcome. It has a very nice lounge area that flows smoothly to the pool area then the beach access point. If you go you must have their morning breakfast it was delicious.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Tides. We were alittle disappointed… the best part of the hotel the first time was lacking this year. ( free breakfast, rooms cleaned daily in a timely way, terrific bar service). These were the reasons we came back this year but unfortunately it wasn't the same… Still has a Terrific view, lobby, and friendly staff… great location on the beach.

Stunning hotel with an incredible beach and a fabulous beach. Awesome location close to the best bars and restaurants. A must. We loved the breakfast buffet overlooking the ocean, the hospitality was none other, and the staff was eager to please...from hot americanos to drinks by a lovely pool. Fabulous stay!

Not friendly at all breakfast was not free they don't tell you this when making reservations they wanted $14.50 per person and it's not a buffet that gives you much to chose from when asked to up grade on our room they said you couldn't do that when we have before so over all they were just rude

My family & I had a wonderful experience at the Tides during our family vacation! The ocean view was breathtaking, room was clean & comfortable, staff was friendly & helpful, food was delicious & the pool/sauna was the best! It was overall an amazing time & I highly recommend this hotel. We felt very safe & at home here with our young children.

We absolutely had a blast and very compatible with our toddler! Has the absolute best breakfast view. Worth every penny right on the beach. Clean, comfortable, and they have everything literally at the hotel from drinks to pizza to towels and sunscreen you really don't have to leave to go get anything!

The staff is so friendly and really made the trip amazing. The facilities are clean and easy to navigate, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby to visit. The beds are soft and the breakfast each morning was so well made and full of variety! I really can't say enough good stuff about this place. They make you want to come back as soon as possible.

Just a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice. Room was very clean. Pool and bar area was awesome. The Lobby has windows all around and the scenery was spectacular. Employees were always working and cleaning the building and the grounds. Just had a mini vacation, we will be back.

This is our 3rd spring break here. The hotel is always clean and smells fresh. The staff is very pleasant and has awesome customer service. The breakfast is no longer complimentary but it is reasonable and very good. We will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay. The staff is very friendly. They even have a number to text for any needs. We didn't need housekeeping services daily, but when we did we just texted that number and they responded quickly. We also left a bag, the front desk called and will have UPS send it to us! Great trip!

The Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly! There was easy access to the beach. I would definitely stay here again. My entire family enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Having access to pool/beach towels is definitely a plus and very convenient.

Good relaxing stay for a vacation. Right in the beach and very accommodating. I really like the most that I was informed of any charges. That makes me plan out my budget for my trip even better. The breakfast was good and we ate outside on the patio over looking the beach. The lobby view is to die for.The room was right for my family of 6 with the bunk bed room for my boys. They loved that the room came with an Xbox for them to play! The staff was very friendly and very accommondating. I will be back this summer and when I'm there it will be my hotel of choice. Love the view and the pool ! The room is clean and spacious ! Quiet and lovely. The lobby is stunning - house keeping is great and the room is well kept through out. But don't like the fact the breakfast is now a paid breakfast- overall it was fantastic

If we had never been to the Tides, we probably would have rated our visit 4 or 5 stars. But this was our 3rd visit and things were radically different. What we had LOVED about the place was the free breakfast with breathtaking view, and the wonderful coffee machine that allowed us to make coffee or cocoa any time of day, exactly as we liked it. The staff, too, were wonderful: cheerful, laid back, helpful. But just a week or two before our stay, "management" had done away with the free breakfast and the magic coffee machine. Now the breakfast is $15 per person, and you have to order coffee from the bar. We had been grandfathered in since we had made our reservation long ago, so we got the breakfast free, but now instead of just walking in, choosing a seat, and helping ourselves, you are supposed to wear or carry a wrist band (for the entire stay, we were told when we checked in--I almost turned around and left then!), then check in at a hostess stand. You don't get to ponder where to sit because a staff member now follows you and asks if you want coffee. The (complimentary at breakfast) coffee is bitter, no matter how much sugar you add, and they didn't have any non-dairy creamer for me as I was able to get in the past. But the worst part is that you've got this person assigned to you, making it obvious that they expect a tip. The whole feel is unpleasant compared to the ease of seating and helping ourselves as before. There had only been one woman running the entire room, cleaning the tables and chatting cheerfully with everyone. Now there's a bunch of uptight young people who are vying for tables. They have added a few more items to the breakfast, but still, with a $30 price tag now on it (plus tip), we felt that if we came back in the future, we wouldn't pay it and sleep later. There was a lot of new staff and the one desk clerk that we had really enjoyed talking to had less hours, so we only saw her once. Not seeing her familiar friendly face when we checked in and went to breakfast also added to our feeling that things weren't as nice as before. Last year, there was a lot of excitement over Mardi Gras, and they were giving away beads and Moon Pies. This year, there was a small decoration on the front desk with some beads in it, but it seemed that they were not for taking but only for decoration. We almost checked out after two days and went somewhere else, but I was able to find a flash sale online for the very room we were staying in: by checking out and then rebooking our room, I was able to save $200 over our original booking. (The front desk clerk "couldn't" help me with it--apparently saving $ is the guest's responsibility.) In conclusion, we had planned to make this a yearly stay in Jan/Feb, but now we will be looking to see where else to go. The Tides now seems like any other hotel where $ is more important than the guests.

The beds were not very good. The pillows were flat and gave no support even with multiples. Parking is very tight. Was not easy to find one that wasn't next to a wall. Shower was fine. Good pressure and hot water. But the beds were the worst

The Hotel was clean and nice but my reservation was wrong. Only 1 room left but was $200 more. Ice machine was broken, called 4 different times for pizza no one ever answered. Noise was awful. Heard traffic from the bedroom. Could see and hear traffic from balcony. People smoking on balconies and were not supposed to. I am allergic to smoke and it caused migraine.

The staff were all friendly. the pool bar was good with a great bartender. Walk out to the beach from the hotel. Hotel is close enough to town. Breakfast was good although you had to pay a small fee for it.

The experience from check in to check out has been by far the best in a very long time. We definitely received more than what we paid for or expected. The staff was super nice and caring. They all seem very happy with taking care of the guests. The hotel was super clean, the towels very white and not like thrift store / good will old towels. The breakfast area was incredible food and delicious. Location was just perfect r walk for church, restaurants and just to look around.

We had a good stay at this Best Western. Disappointed to find they charged $15 for breakfast. When I made our reservation, breakfast was free. Found The Ugly Diner which was very good for breakfast. Also, $11 per day for parking which was not terrible. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice with waterfront balcony. Would consider this location again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay here. It feels very safe, secure, and clean. We would love to comeback and spend more time. The location is perfect and the views are great. We did not eat breakfast because of the cost, but it wouldn't deter us from staying again. We didn't use the pool either but it looked nice.

Changes from December '23 is reason for very good rather than excelent rating. Neither of the noticeable changes would be cause for not considering future stays. December '23 stay breakfast was included but is now charged. Still a quality breakfast but for the price I will go eat at a restaurant. Coffee machine available 24hrs in the lobby during December '23 stay has now been removed & replaced with water dispensers.

Great location, on beach with plenty of shopping and restaurants! Comfortable room with plenty of storage space, safe, microwave and fridge! Hotel was very clean! Great access to pool and beach! Very impressed with the staff that continually made sure that everything was ok from before check in to check out.

My son reserved our room about 2 months before our trip starting January 20th to January 24th. Breakfast was included per website. After arriving at the hotel and at breakfast podium on January 21, was told Monday and Tuesday's breakfast would be $14.99 per person because of policy change. My son did not really want to address the issue. I DO want it addressed. I feel because of when this reservation was made, we should not have been made to pay that fee for the breakfast we paid for months prior. I realize and know my son used his points for this reservation. Don't know if it's been done as of yet, but I suggest the website be changed to “no breakfast” included and show the amount if you choose to eat on property. I will say property was very nice, as was the staff and breakfasts provided with the booking. That is not the issue here. I feel this was unfair to my son and me. It is not the amount, but the principle. Thank you. Room 704

My room was super clean and spacious, had a view of the beach. Lobby is very spacious, clean, inviting, and has a beach view as well. Super friendly staff members. Great breakfast menu everyday with lots of choices, I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

We love Orange Beach and the Tides. We have stayed here 3 times and will stay here again. This isn't a big hotel but it is nice. The beach location and access is great. Free breakfast is very good and has just about anything you could want. All areas are always clean and neat. Also has easy access to restaurants and shopping. Staff is friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms may be a little pricey but not terrible. Rooms may be on the smaller side for some, but why sit in the room? Sit on the beautiful white sand beach!

Omg!!! I love this place. The balcony with the look to the beach is great! The breakfast and all staff were excellent. The pool next to the bar lounge was perfect. At night the pool was beautiful with the LED lights lit up. Overall was an amazing experience! It was a great gift from my family for my bday. Thank you very much

Loved everything about this property! The staff was excellent, great convenient location, excellent breakfast buffet, nice rooms, clean pool area, beautiful stretch of beach. My only areas that could have been improved upon were the too firm mattresses and the scratchiness of the towels (if you are sunburned, it will be torture!). All in all, excellent and will be our go-to place to stay :)

Customer service was excellent especially Courtney and Robin. Perfect location and atmosphere. First time in Alabama and just stayed at another hotel for conference and finished time at The Tides. Will return next year!

It is very clear that the staff of this hotel make customer service their number 1 priority! They were the friendliest, most helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I honestly can not recommend a better place!

The first room assigned to us smelt like pee. They quickly moved us. I couldn't really complain because they were letting us check in 2 hrs early. The second room coffee pot broke and refrigerator broke over night. They did fix it as soom as we told them. The refigerator issue was a little sad lost a bit of cash on food that spoiled. However the hotel staff was always willing to fix or help. We told them about the fridge at breakfast, when we got done eating, we went back to the room and it was replaced already. They were always kind. The rooms were clean. The elevator is slow. The bar by the pool makes a great drink. The breakfast was very good. Very family friendly by the hotel. We had a nice view of the water and was impressed by most of the accomidations. So for a hotel to habe issues thats normal, but the fact they fixed it immediately put them in the 5 star spot for me.

This hotel is a little gem. Forget everything you think about Best Western. Service is excellent. Great staff. Angie that works the very early morning shift is very helpful and got my day started on the right foot. Scott and Miriana (I know I didn't spell it correctly) are great at the bar. Rooms are clean. Pool area is nice and clean. Excellent walkway to the beach. Beach chairs are available. The beach area was never crowded. We will be back!

Everything about our stay was wonderful! Will definitely be back! The breakfast was outstanding, the view was wonderful, the staff were amazing and served the guests with smiles and the location was so convenient!

I try and give honest reviews on hotels wherever I go and this one is no different except…. please understand it is MY OPINION of why I gave it an average rating. The property is very clean and had nice accommodations. The staff were all pleasant and while the breakfast did not change too much over the course of our stay, it was nicely done. Now you are wondering,”what could be wrong?” Well, as a guest you need to wear these plastic bands at all times..when you are using the amenities and eating breakfast. I was informed by management that they will be upgrading to a silicone band instead of plastic and the breakfast will be upgraded with seating options and will soon become NON COMPLIMENTARY! This band wearing did not stop those non guests from using the facilities as my husband and I witnessed first hand during our stay. So the burden of their security issues are put back onto the consumer and personally I do not believe if I am paying for the accommodations and now if I was to return, I will have to pay for breakfast and still wear a tag at all times. No thank you. Not for me.

The hotel and staff were great. My only complaint was with the tv service, direct tv. The reception was in and out. TV service should be upgraded not a satellite on the beach with the wind continuously knocking it out.

Love the safety features, felt that our family & grandchildren were safe, breakfast is delicious, staff are very friendly & helpful, there is always staff cleaning , love that! Excellent location . Can't wait to go back

Great place. Very nice people, great handmade pizza, not overly packed. Just need to add some lights at the pool area. One downside is the fact that the peir is for a different hotel. Would have been nice to be able to walk out there.

We arrived after traveling 13 hours just to be informed our room was gulf view. I showed the associate my email stating beachfront and she stated no it meant gulf view. I asked for a manager and she said no one was working today. I asked her to contact management and after an hour she did. It took another hour before a manager arrived just to inform me it meant gulf view. I stated that's not what I purchased and showed him my email. He still stated it meant gulf view and that's what I purchased. After 4 hours he finally relented and we received our beachfront room. I have never been treated this way before here since we frequent this hotel each year except last year for our wedding Anniversary. I hope the management team reaches out to me. If they'd purchase a few days for us to return next summer I may reconsider this hotel again.

Beautiful hotel! Big lobby with an awesome view of the ocean. Nice, clean pool. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious! Lots of options. The beach was amazing and right out the back of the hotel. Walking distance to a good restaurant across the street. I would have loved more options for food on site. Short drive the the Wharf, restaurants, and local bars. Overall perfect place to stay in Orange Beach.

This hotel was perfect. The location, the room, the view of the beach from the room, and check in/out was smooth. The breakfast buffet was awesome!!!! I definitely enjoyed my stay and I recommend this hotel.

I would recommend this hotel to family and friends they provided excellent customer service from beginning to end. The breakfast was delicious and the scenic views were just amazing. I can't wait to go back!

When arrived we had a few hiccups getting checked in with an error on the third party booking site we had booked through. Due to an update pending through the system we waited just under 10 minutes & were able to sort it out & check in. Absolutely Beautiful & clean rooms. Spacious with nice amenities provided with the room. Keurig coffee pot with coffee & sugar/creamer. Bar located at the pool was a very nice upgrade to your average hotel pool. Overall very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stay on the beach for a quick stay. Will be back again if the need arises.

We've stayed at this hotel for the past two years because it is amazing! The view from the lobby is incredible. There is also a balcony in the lobby where breakfast is served that is wonderful. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. There are always fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, fresh scrambled eggs. Bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast sticks, and biscuits and gravy are served on a rotational schedule and are always hot. The rooms are clean, fresh, and welcoming. The pool is great with an incredible view. The staff are very helpful and friendly. And best of all the beach is just a few steps away.

Service was excellent! Employees were friendly and welcoming with a smile. Eager to help and answer any questions we had. Bartenders were great as well. Best ran hotel I've been too in a very long time.

They saved us from a crappy vacation at a dump hotel (Beachside Resort). The beds were comfortable, pillows fluffy, very nice staff and a great breakfast (eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, grits, etc) unlike the other hotel that only gave us a muffin. The pool was nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again!!!

The staff from Courtney, Skylar, Holly, Scott, Marianna were absolutely THE BEST! Everyone made the stay amazing. At breakfast the staff was attentive. Housekeeping did a fabulous job and would say hello, I hope you have a great day! This was our second time here and it was just as amazing as the 1st time! We will definitely be back in May. I loved seeing the staff so cohesive.

I'm always looking for something to complain about. I couldn't find anything wrong! We enjoyed our stay@ convenient location too. Staff was awesome! Breakfast was great. Relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back at least twice a year!

Last minute we decided to stay at the beach instead of driving home, so had low expectations on the hotel we booked. The hotel was great! Staff was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. Kara at the front desk was so kind. When we called for extra blankets Courtney had them waiting when we walked downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and nice the hotel was for the price. Would definitely stay there again!

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, the breakfast buffet was beyond amazing and the options changed each morning, hotel and rooms were clean, bars were respectful to families and children, the beach location was perfect with access steps away from the water. Our 5 day stay was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel!

At check in front desk told us breakfast was daily 6-10am, we could eat it in the breakfast area or take it to our room to enjoy. Our first morning my husband goes to grab breakfast for our 2 young kids to bring to the room, as he's walking off a kitchen employee starts SCREAMING AT HIM that you can't do that you can't take food to your room. My husband told the employee the front desk said we could. My husband stops at the desk & asks, they said it's ok as long as we don't take their plates & silverware to the room. We go to the store & buy paper plates & plastic silverware. The next morning my husband goes to get breakfast again & the same employee SCREAMS at my husband saying the same thing as the day before, my husband told him the front desk said we could as long as we don't take the plates & silverware. The employee gets mad & stomps off, then a women employee comes over and starts screaming at my husband too. My husband goes to the front desk again & asks, the lady there tells him they've had problems with rodents so they don't want guests eating in their rooms. BUT EVERY ROOM HAS A MICROWAVE & FRIDGE !!!! And they advertise throughout the hotel they have room service pizza you can order !! This place is awful, to have staff scream at customers over some basically pre packed muffins & pastries that are for children is insane. At nearly $500 a night this kind of experience is one we will not forget & we will not be returning. Especially if they have a rodent problem !

Everything was great and amazing we all loved it, the food was delicious every morning. The pizza was outstanding and the pool was great, The mixed drinks we had was very good, The service was excellent.

Stayed last week of July. First of all, the hotel is conveniently located close to everything really. The only surprise was having to pay for parking but maybe that's normal in Orange Beach? The room was fantastic. We had balcony view of both the gulf/beach and the strip. I could even see the River on the other side of the road. The room was very clean. We had to wait until a little after 5pm (we arrived at checkin time of 4pm) but they gave us a $50 gift card at a great local seafood place that more than made up for that slight inconvenience. You have to pay daily for two chairs and an umbrella on the beach unless you brought your own. The pool/spa and pool bar was great as well! All in all, one fantastic beach stay at this BW Orange Beach hotel! We will come back again!

The hotel was extremely clean and smell super good. Our room was spotless every inch of it. The breakfast was outstanding very good. The staff continued to keep everything clean. During our two days stay we didn't find a single thing wrong. The staff was super friendly and nice.

Have several complaints Customer service was awful checking in. Elevators wait was nonsense Fire Alarm 3:30 AM several times through out the night with no explanation. Pay additional pay parking Would consider staying elsewhere

The beds are firm with a pillow top. I slept like a baby. My husband said they're the best place to stay in Orange Beach. Housekeeping was daily on the spot. Fresh towels and super clean. The view was wonderful and free breakfast was delicious.

Wonderful property located directly on the beach. Staff was very warm and friendly during check in. We extended our stay for one more night do to the great location and over all enjoyable atmosphere. Keep up the great work. We will be back.

My favorite hotel on the beach. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Perfect for couples or bringing your kids along. All staff are friendly and helpful. You can even get ice for your cooler before you hit the beach at the beautiful pool/bar area. Rooms are clean, balconies are gorgeous. We've been multiple times and it's always a 10 out of 10.

We stayed here for 4 nights over the Holiday. Kudos to the BW crew from top to bottom. Front Desk, breakfast crew, cleaning staff and engineers were all superb. In spite of the fact that one elevator was out of commission, I can't complain. Breakfast each day was well stocked with a great variety of items. The rooms were nice due to the full renovation in 2020. We'll stay here again.

We couldn't have been more pleased and impressed with this hotel in every way! Everything was on point from the value, the cleanliness, the staff, the breakfast, and of course the location! Gorgeous decor and setting! We will return!

ALL the staff was awesome. The food was awesome. THE PIZZA WAS AMAZZZZINGGG! The Gulf view... peaceful. The weather was awesome the ocean was a little cold but good thing the Tide has a wonderful, very clean pool!

Really beautiful hotel. Would've enjoyed it very much aside from the the one ride desk clerk and the cleanliness of the room. Would definitely give it a second chance. I'm sure that it was all due to a bad day on the staff's behalf.

My husband and I just had another excellent stay at the Tides. This one was hard because only a week ago I was at my brother's funeral, which happened on my birthday. We were Irish twins (only ten months apart) and this is the first year we won't be the same age for two months. The staff is amazing. Mariana who works in Food and Beverages in particular really lifted my spirits. I'd earlier met her and other staff who remembered us. Sandra who also works in F & B remains as sweet as ever. Visiting this hotel is like visiting family. Jasmine and Kara and the rest of the staff are just amazing and I thank God for them. Someday I'd love to live in Orange Beach. The Tides will be part of the memories my husband and I build here. PS The beach was recently dredged so there were so many sea shells. To further lift my spirits, I made ea shell craft pieces in my room (too cool to sit outside too long). And the sea was a clear as I have ever seen it. This is truly my favorite beach in the whole wide world.

The bed was comfortable the room was clean, the Mardi Gras decorations were nice and the people were the friendliest I have spoken to in a long time. We are older sisters (6) and haven't been together in 7 years. The oldest got a little lost one morning and they were so nice to help her. And us also! We played cards in the lobby at night and had a ball!

Loved the fact that it was small-boutique sized, breakfast variety great, decor nice, clean, neat, no funky smells, bed and bedding very comfy, keurig in room a plus, everyone was nice, great pool but heater was broke, hot tub great, fire pit a bonus, but kept forgetting about it being there, the availability of snacks, drinks, sandwiches, ice cream great, we came for a girls weekend, much-needed mental health weekend , it was absolutely wonderful!, first time staying there, I will come again! Thankyou, thanks everyone!

Great location for us. Easy access to Gulf State Park. Covered parking was helpful, though it cost an “extra” $11 per night. Accommodations were wonderful. Gulf view room was worth the extra $. Balcony was a good place to welcome each morning with a fairly good cup of coffee from Lobby coffeemaker. Sun hit balcony most of afternoon for winter “tanning”. Plenty of good seafood nearby. Only downside was lighted pier from hotel next door caused us to have to close curtains for sleeping. Way too bright and on all night.

All of the employees I encountered during my stay were all very friendly and professional. check in and out was a breeze. Great views of the beach. my room was on the side of the building but still had a great view. the room was spotless and really spacious. large shower and huge closet. the patio was big and had chairs to be able to sit out on.

All the staff, especially Robin, Jasmine, & Sandra, were so helpful & accommodating to make our stay most enjoyable. The breakfast offered was delicious & plentiful. All areas, lobby, dining/sitting, pool/outside, were all clean & well-kept.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tides. Staff was friendly and efficient. Very nice decor in both rooms and common areas. Beds were very comfortable. Balcony was roomy and deep, plenty of room for the 2 chairs and table. Great gulf views, in January you get both sunset and sunrise. The breakfast was very nice, better than standard hotel fare and the dining area is spacious with lovely gulf views through huge windows. Covered parking in handy ramp, $10 parking fee. The only issue we had was that the room has poor lighting. Small bedside lamp too low for in bed reading. Floor lamp has 40 watt bulb, so not much help. Please add a lamp over the table and put brighter bulbs in the bathroom. (Lighting is probably fine if you are 30, but as you get older, you need it brighter)

Property was beautiful - the view is amazing. Room was very clean, bedding was comfortable with nice amenities. View was as described. Check in process was quick and easy (we pre-registered online). All staff we encountered were friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay! All of the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, ( breakfast staff was the nicest ever!) Real plates, silverware!! Views were amazing, room was clean and housekeeping came promptly when asked. Kids had bunk beds with a TV and Xbox Pizza made in house was excellent. Only cons....if I'm picking at stuff.....pool heater broken, (they were working on it) , pillows not great ( we always bring our own anyway), you have to wear a plastic bracelet the whole time (we have 3 littles) and this took some convincing for them. We have stayed at many beach side hotels and this has never been a thing until here. The front desk said it's mainly for checking to make sure those eating breakfast are guests....but rather annoying with the kids. Parking was $11 a day. I think most charge for parking in the area. Overall wonderful stay and will definitely be back for our next beach vacation!!

We had this trip planned for a bit went in December for Christmas on their off season, So if you're looking to do a lot of water activities, depending on weather I don't think it'll happen!! Besides walking on the beach you have to drive everywhere.. which was ok.. Hotel it's self Is Great, We did Gulf view Absolutely beautiful!! The Wharf is Fun! We also went to OWA.. Paula Deans restaurant great!!! A lot of things for kids OWA had a real nice water park All of The STAFF From Checking in to Housekeeping To Breakfast employees were all Amazing & Friendly!! Breakfast is Great!! They actually use real plates & silverware wrapped in cloth napkins. Fresh Fruit. I was impressed!! I give this hotel 5!! I would Definitely recommend this Hotel!!!

So pleasantly surprised by this little hotel right on the beach! I booked a room with two queens and bunk beds for our family of six. We had an awesome view of the beach and pier, the breakfast was included and quite delicious, free coffee, and beach towels to check out for use. The staff was so so friendly and helpful, everyone just seemed happy to be there. The pool wasn't heated bc the heater was being repaired and poolside bar was closed, but other than that it was a perfect stay. Would definitely stay again!

We loved the close proximity to Gulf State Park. So easy to rent bikes & ride the beautiful trails throughout the park. Awesome beach! Can't compliment the staff enough! They are so friendly, helpful, kind, and accommodating! We'll certainly be back!

The most friendliest, comfortable hotel I've stayed at in a very long time! The view from the lobby is relaxing and breathtaking….the smaller hotel feel is wonderful ! Honestly the staff, ALL staff from the time you walk in was top notch ❤️

The location is amazing. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was nice and clean. The part that fell short was the service that was provided by the staff. I travel quite a bit and when I arrived I was basically treated like a guest who didn't matter. I'm diamond select and was never offered my welcome amenity. I asked to have an ocean view room and the clerk says “we do not upgrade to oceanfront you have to pay if you want it.” The hotel is far from full and that's very rude and unprofessional to say. I then asked what do the reward members get? She says this isn't the Hilton where they upgrade we are the best western and we don't do like other hotels and if I wanted a view I should pay for one because they are not free. I then asked for a late checkout and was told “NO” everyone has to be out by 11am so that housekeeping can turn over the rooms. Again the hotel has maybe 15 cars in the parking lot. It shows in previous reviews that others have issues with the staff as well. Not to mention the website says a heated pool and a pool bar but yet the pool not heated and there was no pool bar. The room door lock was broken as well. Television would not work.

I had a wonderful time during my visit. The staff was incredibly friendly. Upon my return home I realized I left something in my room. They went above & beyond to get it to me. From the honest housekeeping staff to the front desk and manager I could not be happier with my experience! I wouldn't stay any place else in Orange Beach. A++++

We loved this hotel!! Visited for the weekend after Thanksgiving for my husband to work at a wrestling tournament and this hotel and its employees could not have been nicer. Check in was easy, breakfast was DELICIOUS, rooms were very clean, gym was nice, and hot tub and view were great. Even the wristbands were not bad so that people from other hotels could not sneak in to use our benefits. Thank you all so much! (The only con was that pool was not heated but that was not a big deal since there was a hot tub.)

Absolutely loved this hotel. It checked off everything on my hotel list... room for our group of 5 (or up to 6) people, separate sleeping area for bunk beds (to separate from snorers), big rooms so we weren't tripping over each other, lots of counters/tables in room, even a walk-in closet with lots of organizer shelves and wire drawers (never seen this in a hotel before). The hotel looks like it has recently been renovated. The rooms smelled clean and were clean! Beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was the best I've ever had. Lots of selection, and the food was great ... they actually cooked the bacon! We were there 3 days, and the hot food was different each day. The eating area is beautiful and overlooks the ocean from the 4th floor... awesome view! Our family loved the free coffee/hot chocolate/expresso machine in the lobby ... we used it a LOT. Hotel is right on the beach and had a great sand volleyball court which my teen/20-something kids loved. We joined in with another family and had a great time. Hotel is on a more quiet area of the beach, so not huge crowds. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't want to be in a high rise but still wants the awesome view. We had a great time and are so glad to have found this gem on the beach.

This is our 2nd time staying here and everything is top notch at this hotel...proximity to beach..Breakfast...hospitality...excellent staff...everyone does a wonderful job. ..My son likes the beach and the hot tub is his favourite..we did miss the pool this time as it wasnt heated due to an ongoing issue but they were in the process of getting it fixed...we will be back again..

Despite the November chill in the air, the Tides hotel offered warmth from the moment we arrived. The attentive and welcoming staff assured our every need was met. This premiere BW property offers amenities found usually in four and five star resorts. Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, we were footsteps from dipping our toe into the ocean. While enjoying the extensive breakfast offerings, we were mesmerized by the view of the sunrise, pelicans diving for their first meal and dolphins at play. We are return guests to the Tides, always leaving feeling refreshed and renewed.

We booked a last-minute stay at this hotel and wow! So impressed with the quality of the property and the friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and just what we needed to get us on the road for a long trip home. The views were amazing — it didn't matter that it was so cold outside. Being so close to the beach was still mesmerizing. The lobby is gorgeous! The windows are floor to ceiling and the panoramic view while eating breakfast was so calming. We'll be back!

The entire stay was absolutely amazing. I give the room an A+++ for cleanliness, comfort, and decor. The view from the balcony was an added enhancement to our experience. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delightfully delicious options (grits, oatmeal, eggs sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, OJ, coffee and much more).The staff (Keisha and Jasmine) were very kind, oourteous and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again. Loved it!

We went road-tripping for our honeymoon and had only planned on staying here one night and ended up here for 3! It was THAT good! We stayed in 3 different rooms during our stay due to last minute deciding to stay another night- two nights in a row- but every room we had was perfect! Our first room was the king bed partial view- great views & balcony. The second room was the double queen ocean front & waking up to the sunrise in that room was amazing! Our last room was the double queen partial view suite- this was our favorite room! We had a HUGE balcony w/ a lounger & we got views of the city, lagoon and ocean! Every room was spotless, the staff was amazing, the pool & hottub were clean and the beach was spotless! It was perfect weather during the day to lay on the beach & stick your toes in the water or play in the pool. 10/10 recommend!

They offer full breakfast with ocean view balcony dining. They have a beautiful pool and hot tub area with views of the ocean and full bar service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a hidden gem! Beautiful hotel, with amazing views and absolutely phenomenal staff! The rooms were comfortable and CLEAN. Every staff person we encountered went above and beyond. The breakfasts were fabulous and I cannot say enough about how well maintained the facility is. Would 10/10 recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to visit Orang Beach. We were looking for a 5 day vacation with a nice beach, warm weather and a nice hotel but had to be in the US and a shorter flight. We have found that and more! Reasonably priced with an Ocean View, a Free Breakfast that is very good and offers options that should suit everyone, it does change a bit day to day, the Coffee is a Regional Roast that I would like to have drop shipped to my house, even the Decaf! This Venue is the Real Deal and is definitely worth checking out. The Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, don't hesitate to ask away. For the Best Prices they suggest calling directly to the Hotel and sometimes it doesn't hurt to check back a week before arrival to see if the price may have dropped. We will certainly be back again.

Gulf view was great. The only thing I would change is another lamp in the sleeping area. A little bit too dark for me to read. Breakfast was great. Mariana at the bar was very friendly, personable and we got to trade family stories with her.

We enjoyed our breakfast with the view. Loved free beach towels and the friendly way the staff treated us. Like the pool & hot tub after a day at the beach. Our room had two queen beds & a bunk in a secluded area. Great for kids!

I would give unlimited stars to this Best Western!! It is a small hotel. However the customer service was unbelievable. Check in is on the 4th floor, (different, yet makes sense) They really did treat us, even the lil one, like family. Very clean and modern. Loved the hot breakfast. Enjoyed the hot tub... Easy wide, smooth, and short boardwalk access to the beach. No long walk.... Thanks to all the employees

We were visiting on our babymoon and it was exactly what i needed. We were so impressed by the hotel and the staff. Everyone was so friendly and went above and beyond. The only less than average service we received was at the pool bar. It was very slow. The free breakfast was honestly the best i have ever had at a hotels included breakfast. The hotel was so clean and bright with the best views.

I am a travel professional and I have been in the business for sixteen years. I typically am IHG loyal because they meet / exceed expectations but saw this hotel and had never stayed here in OBAL so I thought let's try it. It was a personal retreat - and I had a wonderful time. Rooms, lobby are wonderfully decorated - clean and sleek. Pool is great, the staff was truly wonderful. Everyone I came in with extremely hospitable. Loved that they had a bar at the lobby, at the pool , complimentary breakfast and pizza as an option for dinner if you didn't want to go out. It was absolutely a perfect stay. I felt very safe traveling alone - key card access to most everything which I appreciated. Only thing that would be great is if there were more elevators. very clean! LOL! 5 stars - highly recommend

We paid for the "beach view" upgrade, but the lady who took our reservation didn't explain to us that it meant we'd be on the side of the building, facing a parking lot and hearing traffic noise. The manager wouldn't even come out to apologize to us or offer to let us pay for an upgrade--she just told the desk clerk to let us know that we couldn't change rooms as long as we'd gotten the room we'd asked for. At least one other couple there had the same issue, so it appears to be a recurring problem. If you want to face the beach, just know that you have to reserve a "Gulf view" room, not a "beach view." But at least the breakfast was OK, and we enjoyed the view from the lobby.

Great hotel and staff was extremely friendly! The view was amazing! The breakfast in the morning was amazing and loved that it was included in our stay. I will definitely be back. Keep those friendly people you hired around.

Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Only little hiccup was parking and rooms were a bit smaller than we expected. Overall relaxed atmosphere and decor of hotel was gorgeous. Breakfast was more than you could imagine.

The view from the lobby alone is worth a visit! Can't complain about anything-this hotel knows how to take care of its guests! From check-in to pool time to beach time to check-out, a five star hotel. Good use of space to have parking on lower floors and hotel start on fourth. The lobby view at breakfast each day was perfect. Our room was two queen and a bunk- just enough room without feeling like we were in each other's way.

Breakfast was incredible for continental breakfast (Sandra was wonderful for cleaning our plates in a hurry and provided us such good info for our trip). The male bartender (didn't catch his name) was fantastic! The hotel was so clean, quiet and convenient location to all things Orange Beach. Friendly staff and great experience overall! Great for a relaxing get away with your significant other and/or family.

The staff was amazing and friendly in all areas: cleaning, restocking, greeting, check-in, pool bar, and all. Location to everything from the beaches & fishing of Gulf Shores to Perdido was perfect. I will definitely rebook for our future visits. It was one of the best experiences in a US hotel.

We didn't plan ahead. We went to pick up a friend and decided to go to the beach for a few days on the way back. This was my first time in orange beach and it was great. We definitely will be back

This Best Western Hotel is awesome with a capital A! I admit it's pricey but when I got there , it was worth every penny. Easy access to the beach, a nice covered poolside bar, a huge dining area for breakfast. Not only was the view from the breakfast room an ocean view but it was an actual full breakfast not just continental. Also there are washers and dryers in each floor . If you can get past the price you won't be disappointed with this very very clean hotel for solo trips or families. Highly recommend.

We wanted a weekend getaway that we wouldn't have to worry about planning any details. This was it. On site coffee, bar, pizza, beach, pool, & spa.. with attentive welcoming staff.... 5 minutes from dozens of well rated restaurants and a few groceries.... large spacious rooms... lovely balcony... and breakfast that could sustain armies! It was an immense pleasure eating our breakfast on the balcony while watch a dolphin pod for entertainment... We are definitely saving them as a repeat location!

Excellent location, friendly staff, amazing breakfast buffet! The beds were comfortable and this hotel is conveniently located near lots of restaurants. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach. Nice location near a pier. We saw stingrays and even a couple of sharks swim by. Sunrise is beautiful from the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

First, I'd like to give a big high five to a wonderful staff. Friendly, smiling and happy faces are always a plus. The hotel was top notch. Resort style in a compact space. And, a great location too! There is literally not one thing I can say negative about this place. Will definitely stay again!
