Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn

Pros: Reasonable price Quiet location Free parking Reasonably friendly staff Cons: NO elevator. Very basic breakfast Old and needs a major upgrade including installing an elevator Towels weren't changed in room and bed wasn't properly made.

Never stayed in a Best Western and never will again! A man used a room key to enter my room and asked where his stuff was! Apparently, he was a previous occupant and his key card was not deactivated! Thankfully, he left peacefully. I notified the front desk staff who were unconcerned. They stated he occupied my room the previous night and was is a new room tonight. Room also has an offensive odor, phone headset was not functioning, batteries in the remote were low, and the latch on the door was loose enough to allow a man to enter when latched. This hotel is NOT SAFE and the staff is unconcerned with security.

We previously always stayed at the BW in Opelika when in town for a football game. It has been a while and it shows. The property is not as nice as it once was. The shower had hair and dirt in it along with mold. The breakfast was not anywhere close to being good. The food was cold, there was not any napkins, the milk tasted old and the coffee was horrible. When we checked in, the body wash container in the shower was empty. Since it was late when we checked in I did not go to the front desk until the following evening. When I did, the gentleman told me they were out of body wash. We never received the code for the Internet. Also - my bill was incorrect. When I went to check out, I showed the front desk clerk my reservation and the amount and she told me that if the amount I had was correct, the manager would change it. She made no attempt to correct it. The manager was not there. She said that she would email me an update but as of 24 hrs later, I have not received anything and the incorrect amount is showing on my account. As I mentioned, we stayed at this property every weekend that there was a home football game a few years ago. The property has definitely not been kept to the same standards as it was then.

Chose this hotel because the other reviews were not bad and we just needed a place for two nights. After moving rooms TWO TIMES, we finally stayed in the third room. Ended up checking out and leaving before we even got to the second night. This is just not a good place. I know it's not their fault that dumbasses decided to smoke weed in their rooms, but at least ACT CONCERNED when guests tell you that people are doing drugs in your NON SMOKING hotel!!!

The BW in Opelika Alabama has roaches. The staff on duty was sleep in the lobby. No one could address the toilet that was about to over flow in our room so we had to move in the middle of the night to another room. The room appeared to be clean until you turn the lights off and the roaches came out of the socket in the bathroom. I had some food on the desk and a roach made it self welcome to my food. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable. So unhappy with my stay.

Awesome stay. Very convenient to location of hospital. My husband had surgery and had to stay overnight. Since we live 2 hours away and his surgery was at 6:15 am we stayed overnight so we didn't have to get up and drive 2 hours the morning of surgery. I was able to stay the night of surgery at the hotel to get rested.

The staff, especially Ricky and Vandana, were friendly, courteous, and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The refrigerator kept our food cold, and the freezer compartment kept our ice packs frozen. The free hot breakfast was delicious and provided us with a variety of choices, including scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, milk, juice, yogurt, bagels, toast, cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins, little packets of cream cheese, little packets of peanut butter, almonds, walnuts, raisins, cranberries, chocolate chips, and bananas. (There were bins for apples and oranges as well, but they were out of those items.) We have stayed at this Best Western several times before and the service is consistently good, the rooms are consistently clean, and the breakfast is consistently delicious. We received all this value for a very reasonable rate. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip!

Our room was not real clean. It was outdated and old looking. The breakfast was not good. Go somewhere else for breakfast. Person at the desk never asked how our stay was. The hotel was in a good and safe location. We would not stay here again.

Excellent overnight stay while traveling. Older and worn in spots, but great service from Ricky and then the night person. Clean good room, reasonably nice bath and a quiet sleep. We would stay again. Just off the interstate so no noisy trucks passing

I stayed here because it was close to my family reunion activities. Because my first stay with BW Plus in Greenville, SC was exceptional, I assumed I would have a similar experience - Not true! The condition of this hotel is horrible. The room had old carpet, electrical sockets with open holes all around. The tube had rust, the shower gel and shampoo were empty, and the tub stopper had to be removed for drainage. The back door never locked, so we felt unsafe. It was just terrible!

Breakfast was great. Had a variety, something for everyone. Loved that they had sausage gravy and biscuits. Front desk and housekeeping were great, friendly, helpful and nice. Check in was easy. Will definitely stay again.

The staff was friendly, the breakfast was outstanding (my wife still can't stop talking about the waffles), close to the interstate, and a great price! We had to review this hotel to give the staff its due! This will be our stop whenever we're back in the Auburn area!

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating! I felt very welcomed! The rooms were really nice! They were clean, pleasant smelling, cozy, clean bathroom, floor and carpet. The bed felt amazing with fresh clean sheets! I would definitely return to visit!

The best hotel in Opelika, Al. I would definitely love to visit it again in my next trip. Delicious breakfast items, clean room and comfortable beds. There is also a swimming pool and a fitness room available which is the best thing.

We came into town for a college football game and found this property smack dab in the middle between Auburn and Opelika. The staff was very friendly, especially Ricky, the gentleman who checked us in. Our room and the property were very clean and well-kept. The WiFi was uber fast...the fastest I've ever experienced in a hotel. The only issue we experienced was from other visitors who allowed the doors to slam as they were entering or exiting the rooms or the building. Sound traveled easily and often as people came and went without consideration for other visitors. Overall a good place to stay if visiting this area.

Little gem hidden off the main road. Super clean, great location near restaurants, quiet, room to park a trailer, safe well lit parking lot, nice free breakfast, everything you want at a very reasonable rate. Definitely highly recommended! An added bonus: a very engaging, lovely front desk gentleman named Ricky!

The room was a good size and very clean. We had a minor issue with our TV and Ricky was up immediately to take care of it. Throughout the stay he was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good with many choices. We'll definitely choose this BW on our future trips to Alabama when we are up visiting our grand babies.

Great customer service with Vijay. The staff was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, the pool, and the common area. The bedrooms were really clean and up to date. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel forsure.

This hotel was just as nice as any of the more expensive ones nearby. It was clean , bed and bedding were up to date and comfortable. Breakfast was decent but not wonderful. Ricky checked us in during both our stays and was very helpful and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back when up this way.

This place should just skip breakfast. I honestly don't expect much, but this food was actually inedible. Check in clerk was friendly, although we as Platinum level (which apparently doesn't mean much anymore) were not even provided as much as a bottle of water. Check out clerk the next morning was one very creepy dude, who actually never uttered a single word, or even responded to our "good morning". There have to be better options for a hotel in this area.

First thing walking in the door my room smelled like musty feet..then I noticed a little thing taped to the top of the TV that looked like a camera, so I hid it..then when I showered the smoke detector went off the whole time-because there is zero ventilation in the bathroom so if you shower with the door closed you suffocate, and then if you shower with it open the steam causes the smoke detector to go off because it's placed right in front of the bathroom door…last complaint is the noise-the people in the rooms right next to me on Friday night were VERY loud-slamming doors, laughing loudly, screaming, and playing music into all hours of the night and I got NO sleep and the hotel staff did nothing about it…I will not be staying here again.

I thought it might have just been our room, but after speaking to other people with our group, they all complained of inadequate AC. The lights above the mirror in our bathroom did not work. The stair wells smelled like a trash can behind an Indian food restaurant.

My stay at the Opelika Al Best Western was very pleasant. Room was very nice and clean hot shower cool air Wi-Fi friendly staff nice temporary stay away from home I reviewed several in the area and decided to go with the best western. Thanks Mr Ricky! Your the Best

Usually choose a different hotel, but needed a cheaper price for four nights close to the hospital. Was a little hesitant, but was pleasantly surprised. This is a great, clean hotel with exceptional staff and great service! Will surely stay here again!

I stayed at this property June 6-8, 2022, room 223. Basic property about 1-1/2 miles north of I-85. Ricky was fantastic at the front desk, check-in was effortless. My room was a bit dark and dated but appeared clean with micro/fridge. I slept well. Got room cleaned. Several restaurants close. Breakfast was basic continental. This is a great property if you are traveling and need a quick overnite to chill.

We love this Inn! We stayed here five days as a part of a wedding event. Our room was lovely, immaculate, and spacious. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented; and we appreciate the 24/7 access to coffee and tea. There was even a guest laundry facility, outdoor patio, and a comfortable living room area to watch TV and relax. The service personnel were helpful in every regard no matter what time we needed assistance or guidance for nearby attractions. We highly recommend this top notch Best Western Inn.

Traveling through Auburn and needed an overnight stay. Rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. Continental breakfast was very good too! With pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. Best thing was the price was right.

This is a very old hotel with no elevator. The rooms are dated and have a musty old smell. I saw two roaches crawling near the heater vent during the night. The owner/manager was really rude and unsympathetic.

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. The third shift staff is so very kind. The hotel is vey sanitized and clean. Vijay is the night clerk here and he is very helpful throughout my stay. Vijay helped my with luggage by taking it up to my room. Everything was so clean and smell so fresh when I got to my room. I will definitely be re to this hotel next time I am in town.

I always enjoy staying at this location. The exterior and interior appearance of this location is stellar, and the choice of restaurants is excellent. I enjoy going to the old downtown at the railroad tracks during my visit to this location. This Best Western is just a bit off the exit and hidden away nicely. The area feels safe and has nice trees and wooded areas around. We did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast this time round, but we believe it to be one of the best food presentations in terms of quality at any hotel of this caliber that we have tried.

There is a good room. There is a clean room and the front desk is super nice. The breakfast was good. The parking area was good.The warm water was great for a boat in the morning . house keeper very nice. Hole Way very nice and clean.

Nice location. Close to restaurants and shops. Short drive to Auburn University campus. The management and staff at this location were extremely courteous and serviceable. The hotel is clean and the breakfast provided was good for the value. Plenty of options to satisfy all palates. Definitely would stay here again!

The hotel appearance is setting is nice, but the food for breakfast is horrible everything is microwaved from the stale biscuits, rubbery turkey sausage not everyone likes turkey sausage, eggs I can't even call the eggs, eggs it was the worst stuff I ever tasted and I immediately removed them from my mouth. The room cleaning service was suspect I never had someone enter my room twice once to collect towel and then a second time to clean the room. I had to get upset and fuss with the owners and managers of the hotel just to get them to change there attitudes when I request towels or additional service. If it wasn't for Ricky my stay would have been much worse he was truly helpful when I needed something. So I would recommend not asking for anything from the front desk during the 1st or 3rd shift.

Been staying for work the past few weeks and the staff is very friendly and accommodating, Vijay is a great help in the mornings for making breakfast a little early for us because we start work before normal breakfast hours.

This was our third trip to Alabama since March 2021. The first two trips had different hotels that were okay at a higher rate. A family member from Opelika set this stay in motion for us. When I called to reserve I was very pleased from that point on. After a 754 mile drive we were ready for a quick check in and straight to our room. That is exactly what we got. Extremely pleased to enter a clean inviting room. It made for a very good rest. Hot breakfast the next two mornings were well balanced and tasty. Great coffee!! Can't say enough about the staff. Very nice and respectful. Thank you!!

Friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms, and easy on the pocketbook. What more can you ask for from a hotel? The beds are soft and comfy with great pillows and the air conditioning works a treat! I love staying here.

This is a PSA for all of my friends and family...Emelia was supposed to attend the Auburn University Honors Marching Band on 9/11/21. Since she tested positive for Covid, we were unable to attend. I went to cancel our hotel reservation at Best Western Hotels in Opelika, AL and was told I would receive NO REFUND. They proceeded to charge my credit card $300. I filed a "Customer Relations Ticket" and was still DENIED. I am disgusted at their business practice. I STRONGLY URGE all of my friends and family to NEVER stay in a Best Western Hotels & Resorts in Opelika EVER! They made an already nightmarish situation even worse. #disgusted

We arrived late, and Vijay was very helpful! He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Excellent customer service on to of a great deal! (We picked up a coupon at a rest stop.) Well worth stopping at the end of a long day on the road. Thank you, Vijay.

We needed a place to stay for one night while on the way to Gulf Shores. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. The only downside was there wasn't an elevator. Carrying the luggage upstairs was not fun. The gentleman at the front desk did offer to help. Overall I would recommend this hotel as it is a good value for the money.

Vijay was very nice! He helped me late at night when I locked myself out of my room going to get some ice. Vijay saved the day for me and was very kind at 12:45 in the morning. The room was well kept and the fridge was nice to have. The fitness center is ok but the pool is very clean. For the price I was pleased.

The customer service is excellent ViJay was extremely helpful when I needed something printed in color for work and the printer in the business center only prints in black and white. He allowed me to use the printer behind the counter for those copies. I would've given it a 5 star rating had it had an elevator. I unload a lot each night and having to drag everything up the outside stairs is grueling especially in the rain.

Needed a last-minute room, called the hotel they had a room. We checked in late around 8:00 pm, the staff was friendly and handled our check-in without delay. It is well run and clean, with an excellent breakfast.

Our stay was very enjoyable for the price. It was easy to find. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Well balanced breakfast. The only issue we had was another occupant was smoking marijuana in the centralized sitting area outside and the smell came through our air conditioning vent which was not pleasant. We would definitely stay again but maybe request a room that is not near the sitting area.

No frills, but safe and convenient (2 miles) to the downtown Opelika railroad district where the restaurants and bars are located. Free parking, complimentary breakfast, and a 10% discount for veterans. I will stay there again in the future.

The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. The service there was superb. The rooms and public areas were very clean. The breakfast was always a delight, and they have available: Pancakes, Sausage Links, Sausage Gravy, Scrambled Eggs, Mini Bagels, Mini Muffins, Mini Cinnamon Rolls, Biscuits, Instant Oatmeal and Grits, Fresh Fruit, Coffee and Minute Maid Orange and Apple Juice. They have a gazebo courtyard area where you can sit and eat, or indoor seating too. Their pool was nice, outdoors with two shallow ends with steps, and a 5 foot middle. And there was a small coin operated laundry room if needed. Had a wonderful stay there.

Better than most of the 3.5 star properties in this area. Great staff and well maintained property. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel whether for a quick trip or extended stay. Excellent property!

We brought a group of students to this hotel and it was the most accommodating place!! Vijay was amazing! He appreciated that our students were musicians and allowed us to play in the conference room. The rooms were very nice and clean, the service was top notch, and we felt at home, safe, and well taken care of!!! Thank you, opelika Best Western !!!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western in Opelika. I cannot say enough about the outstanding quality and value of the hotel. All aspects of the visit exceeded out expectations. All members of the staff were professional, courteous, and friendly. We enjoyed meeting them each day and chatting about our visit.

Do not stay here or if you do don't trust the rate they gave you. I was given a rate of 55 a night for a work trip and 3 days before I was to check in, I was told the new rate is 319 and if I didn't like it good luck finding somewhere else. I FOUND SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Just stopped in for a night, heading to Augusta the next day. Place was small and personal, such a friendly staff and very clean. Love the convenience to the highway, with tons of good restaurants to choose from. I know a lot of places aren't doing a full breakfast but I enjoyed having my grab-n-go bag the next day. Look forward to going back one day.

I stayed there for a couple of days and I really enjoyed the ambient of the place. It was clean, tidy and the people working there were really attentive and helpful. The breakfast is simple but complete, you have coffee, juices, toasts, scrambled eggs and fruits. I would repeat my stay.

We were with friends on a motorcycle trip. We found this hotel to still have rooms upon our arrival so booked for the night. Rain was supposed to be moving in so Ricky let us park our bikes under the canopy out of the way of others coming in. After unloading and wanting to find someplace to grab supper- Ricky advised us of options within walking distance. He was so familiar with the area and gave us excellent tips on things to see and places to check out while in the area. You can tell he loves his job, loves people and proud of the area. So nice to see such great customer service in today's times and make you feel welcomed. He just didn't treat us well - it was everyone who come through those doors.The rooms were very clean as was the lobby and breakfast area. Great laundry room available which was also clean and handy. Ricky if you ever get to Wisconsin you better look is up so we can extend some great hospitality back.

Rooms and lobby area were very clean. It was a little cramped with 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 babies, but definitely not impossible. Vijay was very helpful when I had to take one baby to the lobby in the early morning. No elevator meant several trips hauling tiny human stuff upstairs. Would definitely stay again if I ever come back to Auburn alone or with a friend.

After staying at Best Western, I realized that it was absolutely the cleanest hotel in the Opelika/Auburn area. The staff was excellent, they worked hard to make sure that our stay was outstanding!! I would like to recommend them to any need hotel services.

Stay here often. Always friendly and efficient. Front desk area is clean and staffed. The rooms are dated but always clean. Never had an issue that wasn't corrected in a timely manner. Will continue to stay here when in the area.

So glad I reached Ricky at the front desk. Very helpful and understanding of my dilemma during severe weather in the area. We were able to park our Rv in the rear of the hotel to protect it from possible high winds. Ricky came to my family's rescue with two rooms. Thank you once again! Paula J.

We arrived in late evening and waited a few minutes for the desk clerk to take a reservation. Opted to get a double instead of king as none were left on first floor. There isn't an elevator. Beds were quite firm but I slept comfortably. My husband not quite so well. Very noisy guests in the early hours but overall it was a quiet stay. Nice grab and go breakfast. Rate was excellent and I would stay here again. A bit hard to find!

Stayed the night here the rooms was clean the attendant made sure all our needs was made thank you also made sure we had some snacks and made sure we had all our needs met. We will recommend this hotel the next time we come through.

We got in at 11pm and all the restaurants were closed the night manager gave us grab and go bags so our kids could eat! Room was clean and overall a great stay! I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

I stayed here originally in 2019 and have continued to make sure to book this place everytime I come back into town. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They are very kind and extremely helpful. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and quiet in evenings. Short drive to restaurants and shopping. Terrific staff! Especially enjoyed the evening desk clerk. He was helpful and full of energy. Not serving breakfast due to Covid but had simple bag breakfast of fruit, granola bar and water. Also saw they were remodeling some rooms. Mine was great. Felt safe when entering and exiting at night. Definitely recommend.

We walked in the door and were greeted so warmly! Ricky was friendly, chatty and helpful! We must have visited for at least 10 minutes! He was so funny! We would stay there again just to talk to him! The room was great! The check out clerk was friendly and helpful! A delightful stay!

From the moment we checked in, we knew things had changed. We'd visited this location once or twice a year for five years, and it used to be great. The new management was a horrible disappointment. The man at the desk went on and on and on about no smoking (We're not smokers, so we were a bit offended since we SAID we don't smoke.) There was a ragged desk chair in our room! Our room was never cleaned (We spent four nights), although we requested it. No fresh towels, no linen change. When I came out for breakfast the manager said, "No, because of Covid," and belched loudly twice. There was no mention of the included breakfast being canceled until breakfast time! We will NEVER go back!

From the service deck to the maid service they were always there with quick positive responses. The room saw spacious and in good shape. Located in a good area. The outside grounds were clean and the lobby and hallways were very clean and free from clutter.

Service was friendly and courteous. Both the check in and check out associates made you feel welcome. I find this kind of service rare during this pandemic. I will be back to this hotel when I return to Louisiana!

Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn was a great place to stay for the night. They maintained safety standards recommended during this covid season, but their hospitality went above and beyond. They had a 24/7 coffee dispenser, and although they weren't allowed to do their normal free breakfasts, they had a breakfast bag ready for all the guests that contained a breakfast bar, a a banana and a bottle of water. We stayed while moving into our new house. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and clean as well as the lobby. The breakfast was hot and provided a great assortment of items to choose from. I was able to print from the lobby computer available 24/7. It was too cold to use the pool but it looked clean and well maintained. We have stayed at this location on several occasions and always make it our go to when needing a place to stay in the Auburn Opelika area.

Stopover on a longer trip. Clean hotel but older. Room was good, bed was comfortable. Had to stay on the second floor. No elevator. Breakfast was limited but very good. Bacon was crisp and croissants were good. Made a breakfast sandwich. They had a pancake machine, pastries and fruit too. Water fountain. Price was right. Nice fellow at check in. I'd stay here again.

We have stayed here twice on our way to Florida. Its a clean comfortable place to stay. There is no elevator so make sure you ask for a bottom floor room if We you don't want to do the stairs. The breakfast has a wide selection and is fresh and very good. We traveled with another couple and they were very pleased with their stay also.

Nice location in my opinion I was able to get to Auburn and back within 14-16 minutes. The hotel was clean, and breakfast was always stocked. Coffee all the time. The front desk was always manned and willing to accommodate.

My family and I recently stayed at the Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and made sure all our needs were met. They provided a nice continental breakfast each morning and Coffee was available 24 hours/day in the main lobby. The rooms were modern and clean and the rates were very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. This was the perfect place for our stay in the Auburn/Opelika area.

It seems that we are always welcome. Check in is fast and easy. Henrietta makes breakfast delicious. She takes personal care of everyone, making sure we have everything we want. She keeps the area clean and pleasant.

We checked in early with no problem. We were greeted at the front desk by a very nice young man. Our room keys actually worked with the first attempt to use them. The room was large and very clean. Furniturenwas nice, tv was good and the bed was very comfortable. Could not have asked for more.

My husband and I have stayed at this location on multiple occasions as we are in the process of moving to the area. It's convenient location, reasonable rates, friendly staff and comfortable rooms keep us coming back to this hotel versus all of the other options out there.

We were awake all night, due to VERY LOUD noises above our room. Sounded as though people were fighting, moving furniture, stomping and/or running ALL NIGHT. It was horrible. Then a couple was fighting outside our room in the parking lot about 2 a.m., very scary situation. Thought about calling police to make sure know one got hurt!!

I highly recommend this hotel. Great stay...we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a large room with a comfortable bed, friendly staff and all was very clean. We c ouldn't have asked for a better stay. If in Opelika in the future, I would stay here again.

This BW is one of the best for location, service and clean, comfortable rooms. The staff is excellent and the beds are more comfortable than mine at home. Henrietta really puts on a spread for hot breakfast that rivals most breakfast themed restaurants.

We found Mr. Patel (the manager) to be very helpful and courteous in allowing an early afternoon check-in as soon as we arrived in town. He also made sure we received an item we accidentally left behind in the room. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked, plenty of room for seating, food was hot; hours for breakfast were sufficient. Cleaning staff friendly and helpful. This hotel was well located for our events and purposes; short trip into downtown Auburn with easy access to the main roads leading to both north and south Auburn as well as the surrounding area. Free parking and easy access to main floor rooms.

This was a great stay. The staff was friendly and pleasant to work with. The hotel was clean and the room was more than adequate. The wifi was fast and easy to connect. I did not find an elevator so if you are not wanting to use stairs for the second floor, request a first floor room.

We ended up here after our other hotel said someone cancelled our reservation. The best part for us was seeing Henrietta at the breakfast area. She took great care of us while we were there. We left on a Saturday and didn't realize the breakfast area opened an hour later. When she saw us, she said she would have had breakfast ready for us had she known we had to leave then. Great service! I hope you have a great wedding Henrietta! I will be praying for you. :)

Room was average but I found several strands of long dark colored hair between my sheets. The water pressure was terrible. I had a difficult time washing shampoo out of my hair. Along with awful water pressure, the hot water was non-existent!

Recently stayed here with my motorcycle club. Hotel was clean, modern and quiet. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was typical but done very well with choices. And it is convenient to restaurants.

The room was very clean, the beds weren't as great but did sleep well. Good breakfast choices. Manager and other employees were very friendly. No elevators. Good value for what we paid and very clean.

The front desk staff, breakfast bar staff, and house-keepers were beyond friendly and helpful! Their kindness and help just MADE our stay! We will stay here again! The in room was so cold that it semi-froze my drinks, which was wonderful, considering the weather was in the triple digits during my stay!

We frequently visit family in Auburn and ALWAYS stay at this Best Western, as we know we can count on the best in everything, including value for our money. Service is always excellent from the manager and his staff. The facility is always clean, quiet, and well-kept inside and out. Its location is convenient to shopping, restaurants and our family. Be careful though, there's a Dunkin' Donuts just a block away!

I couldn't recommend the Opelika Best Western enough based on our recent stay. We checked in late and the Front Desk was unbelievably friendly and helpful even that late at night. Got us a super clean and comfortable room. The next morning the breakfast was standard but well prepared. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and went out of there way to be helpful. As we were there on a college visit, we will definitely be back. The price can't be beat!

We traveled by motorcycle to meet our son in Tennessee. Opelika was about half way. Since we are Reward Members, we chose Best Western. As a rule, Best Western hotels are clean and comfortable. This was no exception. In addition to clean and comfortable, the staff was fabulous! The young lady at the desk was very interested in the motorcycles and we had a nice talk during check-in. The rest of the staff was also exceptional. From the front desk to the breakfast room to the housekeeping staff, all went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We will stay there again!

The entire staff makes me feel at home. The reservation process is great and the check in is simple. Our group uses the Meeting Room has our home base and the staff always has the tables and chairs arranged for us. They even put orange and blue (Auburn colors) table cloths on the tables. I look forward to coming back each year.

We have stayed at this property for several years. The staff is very professional and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Rooms are clean and well maintained. I have never had one problem staying here. Excellent prices also. Breakfast is always good and the lady who replenishes the food is always helpful and has a cheery, positive attitude.

Best Western never fails to do their job. This hotel is no exception. The staff is great. The young man who checked me in was polite, smiling and made the small talk that makes you feel comfortable and valued. The room was spacious and had everything you could need to settle in. In the morning the food was a great balance of protein and carbs, with plenty of hot food to start your day. And if you get the pleasure of having Henrietta in the common room when you come to breakfast, be prepared to start your day properly. The room was very nice, clean, fresh feeling. The staff was very helpful and professional and the entire facility was well kept and welcoming. Breakfast was a great combination of hot items and other continental items. There was a very nice seating area outside for a very fall-like morning.

Due to our bus breaking down, we arrived in Auburn 3.5 hours later than we expected. The hotel where we had 8 rooms reserved canceled them without notifying us. The Best Western was awesome!! This hotel was better than most I've stayed at recently. Henrietta was so wonderful. I couldn't sleep & went to breakfast early & we had a wonderful chat. She took care of our whole group & was so great!! Rooms, lobby & halls are all very clean. A/c unit wasn't loud. I'd stay here again.

Friendly staff. Henrietta greeted our group with a smile every morning for breakfast. She was very kind a willing to cater to anything we needed. Hotel was in a good location and easy for us to get to where we needed to be. We will be returning there for future stays.

This particular Best Western is a small, older, clean, quaint hotel with a small pool, small gym and Great Breakfast with Excellent Customer Service! its a "Basic" hotel but met all of our needs while in town for a football game weekend! We have stayed at this location several times and its consistent with the cleanliness and great customer service. It's conveniently located only 4 miles from the Auburn University and close to plenty of restaurants, stores, shops and the interstate.

We use to stay at the Best Western Auburn/Opelika almost every home ballgame weekend. We stayed a few weekends ago after being away due to corporate raising the rates to an outrageous amount. The staff is still super friendly, location awesome and Henrietta (lady in charge of breakfast) is just the most precious lady. If you are traveling and it is not football season, i recommend this hotel. I miss it so much!!

1) Henrrietta in the kitchen made us feel so welcome. She was so kind and breakfast was always hot. 2) Ms. Dockery did a good job keeping our room clean. 3) a little surprised that our last night there, we paid $100 more than another couple checking in that same night. We were disappointed in the rate consistency.

All of the people I came in contact with were super friendly! The Breakfast Hostess, Henrietta was awesome! The only negative comment I have is that the mattress on my King Size bed needs replacing, not very comfortable.

Rooms need to be updated. Head board was hard and uncomfortable. Soap and shampoo dispenser did not work. Bathroom door would not stay open. Air conditioner was old and noisy. I would not stay here again.

The computer was down upon check in and the attendant gave us some snacks for our wait. We got checked in and went to our clean room. The beds are comfortable and a lot of pillows to find the best fit for comfort. Breakfast was good and hot. Hot coffee available in the lobby all day. We will stay here again.

We arrived on motorcycles and the desk clerk was excited about it. She asked questions and was very charming. She took great care of us and gave us a great room. The room was clean and the entire staff was friendly. We walked across the street for dinner at Outback. We had Bloomin' Ribs which were the best ribs I ever had. It's nice that there was food within walking distance.

We had a last minute one night stop here. The hotel was clean and comfortable with a decent breakfast included. All staff we encountered were very friendly. Nothing negative to say and Would stay here again.

Stayed one night with wife and kids while in town to help extended family. Very happy with our experience in the double bed room. It is nothing fancy, but it was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was a dorm fridge and microwave in the room, and everything (including the air conditioning and plumbing) work well. Staff was friendly and accommodating. One note: There is no elevator, so keep that in mind if you get a second floor room. The upside of that is that there are no floors above the second, so noise from above will not be an issue. The food at breakfast was cheap but plentiful. Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, breads, juice, cereal, fruit and yogurt. This Best Western does not have a waffle maker (which my kids had been anticipating) but the pancake machine more than made up for it. Location is just off 280, about a mile north of Tiger Town. You can get anywhere in Auburn or Opelika from there in about 15 minutes. We rarely stay in hotels in Auburn/Opelika, but, if I ever need one, this will be the first place I will call.

I stay at this Best Western when my business takes me to the Auburn/Opelika area. It's an older property but the rooms are clean and it's quiet. I've never had an issue staying here. The staff has always been pleasant.

We stopped here on our way through on a road trip heading to Florida. The rooms were comfy although the hallways/walls could use a refresh. Someone pulled the fire alarm in the middle of the night and we could hear a lot of loud talking as people came in late at night. The breakfast was decent in the morning too. Front staff was exceptionally friendly both checking in and checking out. I might stay again based on their hospitality but the rest of the place wouldn't have me go back.

I really wanted to love this place with all the great reviews but it was average. I loathed the carpet in the hall from 1990. And in the room from probably 2000. No elevator. Upgraded and clean for older hotel. Breakfast was good. I think this is probably good for families with children. Has outdoor pool which was occupied by kids almost the entire time. Small gym area. Suggestions: get something on the slamming doors as the walls are thin. Unable to rest well. Get rid of the carpet. Put additional pillows in room or better ones and an extra blanket. We were either warm or freezing. Overall I would say this is a good deal for the price especially with breakfast and if you have kids.

This was a last minute book, on the first night of our very long road trip. We enjoyed our stay here. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was free, with a lot of choices, including a yogurt bar with lots of toppings, and a warm pancake maker. Everyone we encountered was kind.

We prefer to stay on the first floor because of mobility issues, and they have accommodated us every time. After a hard day of driving it is really nice to see a happy person at the reception desk. Denise had been our house keeper and had done a wonderful job of making sure the room and bathroom were clean and pleasant. We stay at this Best Western often and it is a relief to know that the staff are consistent. Terrell makes a super breakfast when Henrietta is off.

This was experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. The service was horrible. The carpet throughout was filthy. The staff was rude. Side doors unlocked for anyone to come in. Heat inside was smoldering

I have worked on the hotel industry for 30 years and trust Tripadvisor reviews and recommendations every time we travel. My goal is to find a clean motel at a reasonable rate. This property exceeded our expectations by far. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was really fresh. Staff was very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this motel and we will definitely stay when in the area again.

We dealt mostly with Amina, who was extremely helpful during our check-in and throughout our stay. The hotel was clean and has a very nice, private pool area. We stayed two nights. I suggest they add a washing machine; there are two dryers, but only one washer. I also suggest that they add card-activated locks on their exterior doors to enhance privacy and security. The breakfast was very good.

I have stayed here multiple times and have never had a problem. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. This is the only place I will stay when coming through the area.

All staff was very friendly, from the front desk to the great cleaning staff! I was there to move my daughter out of the dorm which fell on graduation weekend. So that is the only reason for saying it felt a little far from campus. The rooms had been updated rather nicely and was very clean! I felt safe at night at the hotel and the parking lot.

In town for family get together and this hotel was our first choice. It is close to everything and everywhere we were planning on going. Easy-in-out. Staff very personable and attentive to our needs. Breakfast area clean and choice of food items very attractive.

Chose hotel because of proximity to tournament and strong reviews. In our experience, the hotel was overrated. While the hotel has been updated, it still looks old in the lobby and breakfast area. The room was better, however, the desk chair had seriously deteriorated synthetic leather (i.e., would not have been claimed if sitting on the curb). The hotel has no security on the outside hotel side door to prevent unauthorized access. The shampoo dispenser was empty in the shower; not a welcome surprise during the shower. Employees were friendly. Hotel was adequate, but I would not stay here again.

We were up here April 25th-27th for track sectionals. Everything about this hotel stay was great. Booking was fast and easy and Mr. Patel was very thorough and took care of everything we needed, very helpful and nice! The hotel looked great! When we got there everything was clean and in order. The rest of the staff were accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was great! We couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our event!

We stayed here because it was inexpensive with good reviews. The reviews were accurate. Our only hiccups were having to go back and get the key card programmed. Also the bottom sheet was too small for the bed.

There were a lot of us staying here while we assisted the community impacted by the recent tornadoes. The staff all were friendly, helpful, and made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms were kept clean and comfortable. Remember to tip your room cleaners!!

I am a lodging supervisor with the American Red Cross. There was a tornado in March 2019 that we came to support afterwards. Our volunteers were lodged, thankfully, at Best Western in Opelika. This was the best decision we could have made. The manager, Anil, was, hands down, the best manager I've ever worked with since ive been doing this...which has been years now. There's a hot breakfast every morning. The housekeeping staff is fantastic. Best Western and tgeir staff took excellent care of the volunteers we were able to lodge there. I will never forget that. I would recommend Best Western to all.

The Best Western is located near the Interstate, close to other hotels and several restaurants. The hotel was neat and clean. Our room was tastefully decorated and had a mini-fridge, coffee pot and TV. The bed was comfortable. No problems, except for the shower - the tub was slippery, there were no "grab bars", the temperature of the water was difficult to regulate, and the shower head put out very little water. The manager was receptive when we told him about it. There was a complimentary breakfast with the usual fare, which was nice. Room rate was average,

Hotel was ok. There are no guests elevators which made it hard for a family of five to be on the top floor with so much luggage. The breakfast area, although looked updated, was still very, very small for the amount of people that were trying to grab a sit down meal with very little seating available. The toilet ran all night long (literally every 45 seconds it would kick on and run for 10 seconds) - we did not call for it to be fixed as we got in really late and had to be up really early to keep on traveling (and the little ones needed their sleep). Beds were very hard and pillows was very thin. The night clerk wasn't very thrilled to be working, but the day shift was very kind and helpful.

Rooms were very clean. Staff was extremely friendly especially Henrietta who prepared a great breakfast each morning! I felt like I was staying at a bed and breakfast she was such a great hostess.The breakfast was hot food.

2nd time we stayed here. Very nice for the price. Staff went over and above! Breakfast is hot and really nice for a free amenity. On weekends, breakfast doesn't usually start until 7, but staff did it early for our small group because we had to leave early. Cant say enough about quality for the price. Henrietta (breakfast attendant) was wonderful!! Very attentive to make sure everyone had everything they needed. Rooms were clean. TV was larger than most hotels and so was the refrigerator. All of the staff was very friendly. I would recommend it.

Room 118. The receptionist at check in was absolutely a pleasure to work with. My room was nice, clean and comfortable. i really enjoyed that the shampoo and body wash is in the shower that you push for the amount that you want. Waste not, want not. I like that idea. The bed was comfortable. The hotel noise level wasn't bad especially since room 118 is near the side entrance. The had a shoe brush, a trash can and a cigarette disposal at this entrance. The area around this entrance was clean and neat. Parking lot was well lit. I checked in at 7 p.m. so this was a plus. I felt safe. Morning breakfast was the normal continental breakfast. The area was super clean, well stocked and organized. Henrietta was excellent with service and being so friendly at 6:30 a.m. She even came to ask if she could get me anything after I sat down. That was a pleasant touch. Check out was easy and quick. I booked this hotel because it was near a conference training class that I was taking. I had stayed in this hotel many years ago and it was not in the condition that I found it to be this time. I think the owners have taken pride with the cleanliness and service since the previous stay. (these may be new owners - I do not remember seeing the previous owners during that stay). I would recommend staying here. I usually try to stay near conferences that I attend. Less stress when it is time to check out and make it to the location quickly. When I realized it was the same hotel - my first thoughts were "oh no", I forgot how bad the hotel was so I was pleasantly surprised to find all the wonderful updates. Keep up the good job! Thank you Henrietta for making my morning breakfast very pleasant.

They have one of the best continental breakfast I've ever had from a hotel. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. SJ was awesome. She always had a smile and never missed a beat

We've stayed at this hotel twice now, and it's been wonderful. The desk employee, SJ, is so hospitable, and intelligent. I'm thankful she was there to help us when we got in pretty late. They offer one of the best complementary, healthy, and diverse breakfasts I've seen. the people that work there are just so kind and helpful. I don't know what else I could ask for when traveling, it really is a home away from your own.

We were stopping overnight on our way to take my grandfather home from UAB hospital and the staff was incredibly kind and caring. They helped us get the doors propped open for my grandfather who has a lot of trouble walking. They were all very kind in attitude and attentive in their care of us, most especially SJ. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers of all kinds.

Beds were very comfortable and overall a nice midrange motel. Staff were all very eager to please and the rooms were clean. The only problem was the soap and shampoo containers on wall were out. Everything else was great.

This is a nice facility and the employees are always friendly and helpful. We stayed there on 21 Dec 2018 on the way to Richmond Hill, Ga for the Christmas holiday. I left an item in the room and the employee who found it turned it in to the office. I learned first hand that the employees at this establishment are honest. I will continue to stay at this facility any time I come to Opelika. The rooms are clean and the staff is honest, friendly, and helpful.

My family and I stumbled upon this hotel first in December 2017, on our way from Houston to North Carolina. We found the staff and room tip top and were pleasantly surprised, the kids especially, by the generous breakfast the following morning, both in terms of food items and the length of time in which the breakfast was served. We decided to stop at this hotel again for the same occasion, on I way to NC in December 2018.

My family booked two rooms at Best Western for an overnight stay, and our experience was nothing but positive. Both rooms were very clean, had comfortable beds, and all the amenities that we needed. Staff was great- Terrell (?) at the front desk was very helpful, and Henrietta went above and beyond to make sure the breakfast area was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good- especially the bacon! Would highly recommend this hotel.

Had a wonderful stay up this best Western motel in Opelika Alabama. The room was very tastefully decorated, the beds were very very comfortable, and the breakfast the next morning was terrific. I would recommend this motel to anybody traveling through this area.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at Best Western. Rooms very nice, quite hotel and beautiful lobby. Customer service was outstanding at check in. We will be back. They were able to accommodate us on same day notice. We like the layout of the hotel as well and that the doors lock from the outside at 10 and have to use front lobby entrance. Felt very secure.

We travel between Memphis and Orlando several times a year. This Best Western is an ideal location for us to stop. Also, we have found that the staff is friendly and helpful. The motel is well maintained and very clean. There seems to be a fairly low turn over in staff. All of these positives indicate to me that Mr. Patel is a good manager.

They had a clean room, friendly staff, easy check in process, and a nice and warm breakfast. The only downside was that we could hear everything outside our door, but it wasn't extremely noisy when we stayed.

My overall experience was great. I really was satisfied with everything. I would have liked for the exit doors to be looked from outside but other than that I was pleased and would certainly stay again

I took my cheerleaders to state this past weekend, and we stayed at the Best Western in Opelika. We had the best experience! The hotel staff was so helpful and took the best care of us. They provided a delicious breakfast, and we had clean, well cared for rooms. We plan on staying here again next year!

She was super friendly amongst the other staff as well. We enjoyed talking with her and felt as if we were old friends. She made sure we were well taken care of! Best customer service and most friendly faces. SJ was most helpful and I feel that I found a new friend. The room was tented to with up most care to every detail. I will come back!I have traveled for years and know what I like in hotel stay. I came in never staying here before and SJ met me with a smile and a Really warm welcome. I could not feel more comfortable!

Super friendly and chatty! Always made sure I had what I needed at breakfast. I was very impressed with the service of something as simple as hotel breakfast. Super friendly and nice workers here like Henrietta.

It's always a nice and clean first rated experience. SJ made my check in and stay worth while. I also received a complementary bag (reward bag). Room was clean and bathroom also. Location of hotel is perfect for dining out or shopping. .

I received good service from the front desk. There were a few complications with the check in at first but SJ did a good job of making things happen! I'm a Best Western Platinum Member & will continue to stay here as long as the service stays on this level.

Attended daughters homecoming so most of hotels sold out, and those left very expensive, this location was a median choice based upon high number of travelers in area. It's a small hotel, somewhat dated, and could use some updating, but staff very friendly and accomodating, and room was clean.

Room was clean. No elevator and must enter after hours through lobby. Should put card readers on exterior doors. Marble walls were nice in shower but the push soap dispensers took away from the look. Bed was not very comfortable. Shower did have very good hot water and water pressure.

the inn was very quite and very clean just what you need on business trip. rest and quite to enjoy your stay. very please with the attitude of the clerk at check in and check out. need more characters to make this long enough don't understand this process but this is all I have to say.thanks

Anil the superior has been extremely helpful coordinating and giving our U.S Army Reserve company the best rates and services in town. He has been flexibly and patient with our schedule and our soldiers who stay there each month. The hotel is clean and provides excellent quality of service to our soldiers. No complaints from anyone, and our soldiers feel safe and comfortable staying here. Overall he has been amazing to our company. Highly recommend this hotel.

This non-smoking hotel, with inside corridor, is clean and pleasantly decorated. Check-in was quick and efficient. Our room, including the bathroom was extremely clean. Bathroom has granite surrounding the bath tub/shower. I felt like it needed some kind of bar to hold on to for safety purposes. It has built in soap & shampoo dispensers. Extremely quiet--no street noise at all. Has granite vanity outside of bathroom. Also has a microwave & fridge. They served a hot breakfast with eggs/sausage/bacon/gravy and biscuit on the hot bar. Typical breakfast fare otherwise. Breakfast attendant very helpful; offered to get guests anything. Kept tables & counters clean.

Took my grandson to play some baseball in front of some college scouts at Auburn and elsewhere. Friendly staff and great service. Kudos to Henrietta on the breakfast and Terrell at the Front Desk. Also enjoyed the clean pool and room.

This was our last stop of a 16 night road trip as we made our way back towards Atlanta. We were checked in by Scott who couldn't have been more helpful. He was so polite and friendly. The rooms was spotlessly clean, the pool area lovely and the laundry facilities ideal. We had stayed in 6 hotels during our trip, some large higher star chains but this lovely little Inn was by far the most pleasant stay and Scott was by far the most pleasant person we encountered at any of the check ins. Would stay again in a heart beat if ever in the area

From the phone call when making reservations, to checking in with Scott, the housekeeper who personally showed us to our rooms and helped us with our luggage, to Henrietta at the delicious breakfast and back to Scott when checking out, the whole staff treated us very kindly, respectfully and most friendly. We have an adult special needs daughter in a wheelchair and every request was received with a smile and every need was met!

I was here for business so I had pretty early mornings. The breakfast was always hot and ready. The staff, especially Henrietta, checked on me to ensure they had everything I could want for breakfast. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a place in the area.

The motel is in a quite, safe looking area. I drive a truck, and am always treated well there. The only reason, I don't rate excellent, is because no elevator. I manage walking up and down the stairs, but at my age (62) luggage and I do so much better on ground floor or in elevator. My room has always been clean. The breakfast is always been very good.

Everything was clean and the staff was so incredible. All shifts and positions were professional, helpful, and extremely friendly. And the breakfast was so good. Recommend to everyone needing a hotel in the area.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay at Best Western. The breakfast was more than we expected. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, pancakes, etc. Henrietta and Jodi were great breakfast attendants. I would definitely book at Best Western again.

Front desk clerk was helpful. All of the first floor rooms were booked by a tour. There is no elevator, but he offered to carry our bags to the second floor. The common areas and room were clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had to leave before breakfast, but they had hot coffee available which was an unexpected plus. We would stay here again if we can get a first floor room.

I had no complaints. The room was clean, up to date. The bed was extremely comfortable. I usually bring my own comforter, but had no problem using theirs. Bathrooms clean. No issues. Great find for the money spent.

We have stayed at this location numerous times over the past 2 years. The hotel has always been great and the staff is outstanding. The room rate is very reasonable for the amenities that are included (wi-fi, exercise room, breakfast). The breakfast is much more than just coffee and donuts--it is a hearty breakfast with a great variety of food items.

The breakfast very very delightful, and felt just like a home-cooked meal. Henrietta, the breakfast attendant, was very helpful at breakfast, and made sure everyone had everything they needed! She was very polite and kind also.

I recommend this hotel for those who are thrifty with their spending. it is a good value for the cost per night. It is clean and has a very friendly staff. The breakfast was really good, which included pancakes. I enjoyed the breakfast very much, especially Henrietta who prepares breakfast and keeps everything stocked up and clean. The front desk was very good with customer service.

This is the second time I've stayed at this Best Western and both times my stays were pleasant. The beds are comfortable the rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly, and breakfast in the morning as well presented in prepared.

We have patronized this BW many times over the last 8 years and have watched it evolve into a high quality facility from check-in, accommodations, comfort, amenities, staff attentiveness, breakfast (free), through checkout. Location is very accessible and numerous quality restaurants, gas stations, and access to US and Interstate highways. Its recent renovation added a great deal to atmosphere and memorable experience. Perhaps even greater than the accommodations is the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of both staff and owners...exemplary! Thanks for a great stay.

My husband, sister, aunt and I traveled to Opelika for a family reunion. (We are all senior citizens) We arrived a little before check in and were very warmly greeted by Terrell at the front desk. (Happy belated Birthday Terrell) He made us feel very welcomed. He assigned us great rooms on the first floor--2 queen beds, microwave oven, coffee maker, refrigerator. He told us about the complimentary breakfast buffet. I was pleasantly surprised with the selections. I like my bacon crispy and this was perfection! There was a pancake machine which rolled out 2 pancakes at a time. I thought they were delicious. The orange juice was some of the best I've tasted. And I have to mention Henrietta, the attendant. What great service! She came around and asked with a smile if there were anything else she could bring to you. We weren't use to this. Additionally, when we went out to the pool, we saw a chair that allowed handicapped patrons to get into the water. The Best Western was near shopping and eateries. This was not the official reunion hotel, but I don't think the other hotel could touch the service we received.

My husband and I were passing through this area on our way to Florida. We were happy to find this Best Western. We arrived very late, but the customer service at the front desk was top notch. Marquel, I hope I got his name right, was polite and attentive. He got us quickly on our way to bed after a long day of driving. The room was clean, and had a fridge too. The morning staff at breakfast were friendly and accommodating as well. We would stay here again.

My mom was in the ICU at the EAMC near by the Best Western. I am from out of state, so I had no transportation and this hotel was within walking distance. Friendly staff, warm breakfast, and a clean room! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

The rooms were great! The pool was decadent ( the grand-kid and I spent 6 hours a day there)! Anything we asked for they worked to get for us. I would recommend this hotel to everybody!! The food was great and the hostess Henrietta was very nice! Jolanda was very accommodating for everything that I needed.

When traveling out of state and ending up in the hospital with our son the Best Western came to the rescue. They were able to accommodate our late minute checkin and gave us a discounted rate on our room. They had a good breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, and a grab and go bag for breakfast. Luckily it was a short stay and we were on our way :)

Seriously one of the best little places you could imagine... You won't believe how clean it is! Pool is small but very clean. In 2 days I've watched people working all over the property. Full hot breakfast... Coffee 24/7... Extremely nice staff...

I enjoyed my stay. They had a fitness area, and Henryetta made sure our needs were met at breakfast. The rooms were clean and the hotel is in a really convenient location. We ate dinner at Outback which was located within walking distance.

We had to come to Alabama not on the best circumstances. We were here for our grandfather's funeral. A few of us from the family got rooms here. It was clean, comfortable and they have a nice pool. They have a good hot breakfast ?? scrambled eggs bacon ?? sausage. There is a breakfast hostess named Henrietta. This lady is so sweet and gave us the best service every morning at breakfast.

The hotel employees are very friendly from the moment of check in all the way to check out. They make the stay a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone staying in the Opelika/Auburn area.

Very friendly very clean, wonderful staff great reception. Has a decent breakfast for the family. Easy checkin easy checkout, free newspaper in the morning. The vent in the bathroom did not work the toilet had difficult flushing. The price was on the upper side for a pillow.

I went on a little getaway by myself to Opelika and stayed in the Best Western there. It was truly a lovely experience! Everything there was so clean and fresh, the pool was well kept, the workout room was very clean with fresh towels, my room was wonderful, it was so quiet, the staff was so kind and always went out of their way to help me, and the daily breakfast was delicious. I really enjoyed getting to know Henrietta, the breakfast staff lady- she was so kind and helpful and my three little boys enjoyed chatting with her each morning when I would video call them while I was eating my breakfast. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The check in was slow due to a large bus crowd arriving. This was the weekend for the Tuskegee University graduation. The hotel was clean and the rooms are spacious with a Frige, Microwave, and the rest of the amenities that made me feel right at home. The bathroom was nice and spacious as well, bed was comfortable and slept really well. You can hear noise from the floor above. That would be the only negative thing I would say. There is free breakfast. We did not get to use the hotel fully as we were a late check in and early departure. Request a lower room as there is no elevator at this hotel. This is a nice hotel and if you are in the area give it a try!!!

I was 100% happy. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms looked new. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. We were really happy with the price off Priceline and this hotel. Henrietta answered our questions and kept the breakfast bar up. The employees looked and sounded happy as they were getting ready for their work day. It was nice to see everyone smiling.

This is a great hotel for football weekends. Check in and check out are quick and smooth. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The parking lot is well lit for those late games. Highly recommend!!

For overnight stays, the roadside Best Westerns are fine. Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, mediocre breakfast included. Wife and I both have mobility problems and despite booking over a month in advance and asking for a ground floor room, we rarely get one. Understood that such requests are not guaranteed, just seems odd it never works out.

Clean. Excellent value. Room was large and comfortable. Full bathtub with shampoo and Dial liquid body wash in dispensers. Coffee maker in room with decent coffee. Comfortable outdoor seating area. Fitness center with water dispenser and a handful of machines.

The check-in and the check-out process both went extremely smoothly well. I requested a certain room location which was accommodated. The dining area was clean and the food offered was very good. My stay, although very short, was pleasant.

All the staff members encountered from the front desk clerk, the breakfast area waitress, and the housekeeping staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and recently renovated. The complimentary breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and kept well stocked. Be advised that the breakfast seating area is small if traveling with a group. Also be advised that this is a 2 floor hotel with no elevator so if anyone in your travel party has mobility issues be sure to request a first floor room. The hotel is conveniently located near Outback, Golden Corral, Taco Bell, and other eating establishments.

Best Western Opelika is the most comfortable and accommodating hotel. Excellent service and really care for the guest.They really take pride in their job and go out of their way to make sure the guest have the best experience away from home.This is my home while in the area. Henrietta and Terrell were excellent. Breakfast was also great,hot and fresh.

This is a quiet room with good bed. It is in a safe location, very clean and the people here are all so nice and accommodating. The front desk, the breakfast service person, and the manager are all nice. We stay here every time we head south from VA to LA. The free breakfast is a plus and always has a great choice of items. The price is very good as well. I found that calling directly to the BW in Opelika instead of going thru the nationwide 800 number for BW saved me money as well. CALL DIRECT! You won't be sorry if you stay here.

We were greeted immediately, and check in was quick and kind! This BW property is extremely clean, its older but very owell taken care of! We had a room on the ground floor. The room was clean, and spacious. The person(s) above our room were very active, and every footstep vibrated through our room ceiling! Our only other concern about this property, was the multiply door access from the outside, with no room key required. We walked the entire outside of this place and it was extremely well taken care of! Our breakfast was fantastic! The lady attending the breakfast was Henrietta, and was very friendly and kind! The front desk gentleman was Terrell and was equally kind and enjoyable! We highly recommend this place, and look forward to our next stay!

We got a great deal on this hotel on Priceline. Other than a small hiccup at check-in, the process to check in and out was seamless. The room was nice, although the double beds (2 doubles) were tiny. Hubby and I eventually separated as we kept bumping each other. But we did ask for 2 beds, so not the hotels fault. The room was pretty clean, and newly renovated. The fridge was very large for a hotel fridge. The bathroom was quite compact, and if you are sitting on the toilet, you cannot open and close the door. The location is a bit awkward to find, even with a gps, and seems to be in a weird spot. And the sign is low to the ground, so you cannot see it from a distance. If you see a farmers market nursery, know that you are close. We did not eat breakfast so I cannot speak to that. We chose Western Sizzlin instead (see my review). Overall, we would return to this location if we could get a good deal again.

Pros: Friendly front desk, parking for the trailer we were pulling, very clean, spacious room, really hot water, excellent water pressure, shower head was nice and high so my husband didn't have to crouch, DirectTV. Cons: Bed was a bit firm for my preference, AC unit was annoying at times, no elevator. I would stay here again but would request a first floor room.

Avoid Breakfast at all cost.The older Lady that prepares the food always wants you to hear Her political views and hatred toward President Trump and other figures even if your interested or not.I enjoy a meal with my Family without having other people forcing their unwanted or unsolicited views upon Me and my Children. This matter needs to be addressed and resolved.

I was very impressed with this Best Western!! Very clean, very friendly and professional staff. Brianana H. was responsible for cleaning my room prior to check in. I am VERY picky and I was very happy with how clean it was!! Even had a clean and sanitized TV Remote. Normally I have to clean it myself before I touch it with bare hands. Your folks are doing a fantastic job here so please take care of them. Many hotels do not have workers who truly care about their work and have pride in the results. These guys do and it SHOWS!! There were several people that I can recognize by name, Henrietta (breakfast set up), Terrell Front Desk, but there were several others that worked in these areas on the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th of Feb 2018 and they too did a wonderful job! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling. Thank You All!! Your hard work is truly appreciated! My only concern for this hotel is there is No Elevator.... Some people may need one. There may be also be a safety concern for walking alone in stairwells late at night or early mornings.

This was probably the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in in my entire life, which is such a comfort when you're staying in a place that isn't your own. The staff was super friendly, and Terrell, Anna, and Justin are great at the front desk. The breakfast attendant was attentive and kept the breakfast full and hot... and it's an awesome breakfast! I had the biscuits and gravy two mornings in a row, but there are also pastries, fresh made to order pancakes, fruit, oatmeal, hot eggs, bacon AND sausage, bagels, and juice and coffee. Best part is that it is included in your room rate. It was cold during our visit, but there is a nice outdoor area with a pavilion and sitting area and there's also a big outdoor pool. We will definitely choose Best Western Opelika again when we are headed to the area to visit family.

Very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Good breakfast and coffee. Enjoyed staying here. Have stayed several times and will stay there again in the future. Close to restaurants in the area. Good showers and good towels. Good selection of channels on the tv. And a grab and go bags in the morning which is very nice thing to do.

Very nice room, very clean and comfortable. Yummy breakfast and nice staff. Even though this inn is tucked away, I can't say how nice of a visit I had. Would be great for a family stay during big football game weekends.

I was in room 208 and I felt like at home and everything was fine. It was my first time their and the receptionist was very kind and friendly. I would recommend to all my friends and family members if they need a place to stay when they are in town this is the place to go. I enjoyed my time there. This is a great hotel. No complaints other than there is NO ELEVATOR. So make sure you request a bottom floor room if you have a lot of luggage. That's the only inconvenience I could find. The breakfast was great. Gravy & Biscuits, Pancakes, eggs, sausage links, bacon, cereal, bagels, muffins, and a few other items. Beds are comfortable but a little on the firm side. Great seating area to relax, even if it's raining. Clean rooms. Nice bathroom. Nice TV and a lot of channels. Several restaurants nearby. Quiet and safe. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

We had a really comfortable stay at this Best Western - it was the final stop on a week long road trip and it was wonderful to have access to the great wifi, laundry and the fitness room. The staff were really lovely - welcoming, friendly and above and beyond helpful when we had any questions or issues - thank you again to Anil and Becky for all their help with the pancake making machine! Anil had already ended his shift and was meant to gone so really appreciated the extra time he spent ensuring my daughter got some pancakes! The rooms were warm (it was January when we visited so that was a priority!), clean and comfortably spacious, the parking was fabulously convenient and it was located just a few minutes drive from the centre of the very picturesque town of Opelika so we could skip out for food and sight seeing super easily. A really good stay, I recommend it for anyone visiting.

We stayed a weekend while in the area for our son's robotics competition the place is very clean, quiet, and has very friendly staff. We are especially complimentary of the young lady who prepares breakfast each morning. She is friendly and takes great pride in her job.

Spent two nights in the Auburn/Opelika area for a customers' conference. I was pleasantly surprised at this little gem. The price was perfect! The rooms were totally updated and very very clean! Breakfast was great and I LOVED LOVED the automatic pancake maker. You have to see it to believe it. The staff was always there to help out with any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in this hotel many times when I am in Auburn, and I return every time because of the kind and caring staff. They go out of their way to be sure that your stay is enjoyable. It is a very comfortable and clean facility with a nice breakfast buffet.

Our school :Lindsay Lane Christian Academy in Athens, Alabama attended the robotics competition at Auburn University for the weekend. We chose Best western they gave us an excellent group rate the staff was very friendly and the rooms were in wonderful shape (love the decor)the breakfast was delicious I highly recommend this hotel 5 stars ??

No frills, staff (with one exception) was average, rooms average, bathroom small. One employee, Henrietta, made our morning brighter with her greeting, her smile, and her service. No one else seemed to care either way.

While the staff at this hotel could not be friendlier or more helpful, the facility itself leaves a lot to be desired. We stayed the weekend of Iron Bowl '17 (War Eagle!) with another couple in a second room. For the price charged for the weekend, we expected more. PROS: good staff, good breakfast, clean, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, not far from the University. CONS: The room was extremely noisy! I felt like the ice machine was IN my room and the people walking around upstairs were about to sit down next to me on the bed. The bathroom was small with very poor lighting and a miserly water-saver shower-head. The bath soap and shampoo were in dispensers in the shower like a discount hotel, and there was only one small bar of soap for washing hands. While we were asked if we would like rooms next to each other, our friends were placed on the other side of the hotel and not even on the same floor. The hotel had no SEC channel (and hardly any others! Even in the lobby!) which I found odd in a hotel catering to an SEC crowd during football season. While I know they meant well, I would suggest that the staff notice when people are eating together and not insert themselves into the conversation. I probably would have appreciated the company if I was dining alone but I found it difficult to talk to my friends, whom I rarely get to see, for the over-familiarity of the breakfast attendants. I've stayed in many fine hotels and, as I said, for the price paid I was expecting more.

The room was very nice and clean. Room had a comfortable bed The breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful. Person at front desk checked to see if a certain restaurant was open for dinner, since it was Thanksgiving Day.

This is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The food service was outstanding. Henrietta was a very friendly and helpful empolyee. She has a golden personality and very easy to talk to. She made our experience outstanding. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I always enjoy staying at this BW - I travel a lot for work and so it's refreshing when I find a hotel that is clean, friendly and affordable. Anil and his staff are always a joy and are always accommodating to my needs.

This was as great value for the price; rooms were clean and I was able to check in early. All of the staff was pleasant and I left a clothing item in my room and they contacted me to make arrangements for me to pick it up!

My room was cleaned and smelled awesome. The tv was huge with HD quality and Directv. The free breakfast was delicious and wasn't just bagels and cereal, you had a hot breakfast. After forgetting toothpaste, the hotel provided free Colgate packets.

Recently stayed at this NEWLY RENOVATED Best Western with our family of 4. The staff was great, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast offered so many choices and was excellent. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to all our friends.

Love the staff, Henrietta was a great hostess and would help with anything you needed. She has a wonderful personality. Blake was also very friendly and put up with the 5 of us. It is a small town hotel, felt very safe and very friendly.

We were in the area to golf last week and found this hotel online based on the reviews. It was a great value. Newly remodeled and extremely clean. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk was quick with a recommendation for dinner when I asked. He pushed the luggage cart to our room when my husband went to park the car. Breakfast was great and the lady overseeing it was very sweet and helpful. Definitely recommend and we would stay there again if we're in the area.

the motel is hidden off the beaten path of Tiger Town, very quiet and very clean place to stay. the room furnature is dated but well kept. like before very quite so you can rest without interruption. very good value for the rates offered.

We stay here on our way to and from South Florida several times a year. Much of the staff is the same each time, and the are always cheerful and helpful. The youngsters that work reception in the afternoons are especially helpful and seem sincere when they say, "If you need anything, just call the desk for help."

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Bestwestern Auburn/Opelika. Because it was game day weekend, the prices were a little steep but I was glad to find a hotel. The location is good. Right off of HWY 280. The drive from the hotel to the university is not bad. About 15 minutes.

We stayed on a football weekend. We had a newly remodelled room. Staff were proud of where they worked and extremely pleasant and helpful. Cold breakfast was adequate. Comfy beds. Only 15 min. to Auburn.

Mrs. Henrietta Black was great. She greeted me and assisted me with what I needed for my meal. I noticed that she greeted everyone and often assured that the area was continuously stock . I personally like to thank her for her professionalism and if management could reward her with a monetary award as a show of appreciation for her effort. also from desk was great too.

This hotel was very accommodating for our traveling sports team. The breakfast was replenished regularly, and the staff was helpful in lots of ways. The location was easily accessible to major roads and restaurants.

My only complaint was that the room had a bad smell. The staff was lovely. The hand towel was dirty so I requested all new linen and they brought it immediately and even made bed up again even though I told her she didn't have to. She wasn't happy but she did it and didn't complain and played with my baby. The room was clean we just had 2 big ants on the curtains when we arrived. I thought it was going to end up terrible but it wasn't. Overall the staff had great attitudes and I would stay there again. Bring your own thick blanket if you would like one. Theirs is more like a throw blanket with 3 layers of sheets.

The hotel room was clean. The hotel has received an update recently (or it seemed). The flooring in the hallways and lobby looked new. The side doors are locked at night to add security. The breakfast was average. The sausage was slightly cold, but I only expect so much out of a continental breakfast. There was plenty of variety. We did not have any issues with noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms. I would stay here again.

The place is a little dated but there is a pool and lots of parking. Instant hot water but small bathrooms. Unfortunately the double beds were the smallest I've ever seen. Breakfast was standard fair and they stayed ahead of the rush. The staff were very good and helpful.

On our way home and having driven all day we were looking for a good comfortable rest and bed, and found it at this Best Western. When we checked in after dinner the clerk was very pleasant and was quite helpful. The bed was very good and the sleep was appreciated. The breakfast was typical for motel.

This was a good value for the price, but would like more security on the other access doors after 7 or 8 pm using key cards. Not a bad experience, but would be more likely to stay again with this feature.

Close to the interstate but on a side street just enough back to be quiet. GPS suggested because the sign on the main traffic street may not be seen while watching other vehicles. Standard breakfast with usual items - no complaints about quantity and selection.

We were very pleased with our recent BW experience in Opelika. Friendly people, clean property, good breakfast, and an excellent value. This is our second time relaxing here between meetings, and we will probably stay here again next year.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel from the phone call to check out.Evette took our reservation and met us with a cheerful smile at check in. Our room was clean and quiet. The pool area was very refreshing and well maintained. They even have a great covered deck area for giving. Breakfast with delicious and a wide and plentiful variety of items. Great safe location close to Interstate a several options for restaurants nearby. We will definitely keep on list for future trips.

Great mid range hotel, with convenient location, but a little Difficult to find your first time doing there, but is right behind Domino's Pizza. King room lay out excellent, Breakfast good, Hot water plentiful Employees very helpful.

We stayed here one night before our flight the next afternoon out of Atlanta, which was an easy 1.5 hour drive. On the outside the hotel looked new. On the inside you could tell that it wasn't new, but it had been completely renovated. There was fresh paint and new carpet everywhere. The room was clean and a nice size. There was a refrigerator and a microwave. It was the normal Best Western room that we have come to expect. The front desk clerk that checked us in was very pleasant. The pool was nice. Also there was an outdoor seating area that was very inviting. Breakfast was the usual Best Western fare. The gal who ran the breakfast area was very accommodating. She kept asking everyone if there was anything else they needed. I would definitely stay here again. The price was right..... $80 with tax.

Anil & staff have gone above and beyond to take care of all my employees while are company is doing work there. Anil has been a joy to work with and has made my job easier and less stressful when booking rms. I don't know of any GM's that go out of their way and provide dinner to their guests like he did for my guys!! Plus, as the hotel has been under renovations he has been more than accommodating to us and moving my guys so that the noise & dust haven't affected them. I highly recommend this BW!!! We chose this hotel for three reasons-hot breakfast, outdoor pool, and the reviews. I am going to divide my review into categories and you can decide what matters to you. Location- it was easy to find and there are many restaurants nearby. The hallway doors are unlocked to the outside and they do not have card key entrance. I did not think this was safe. Breakfast-yummy and fun toppings for pancakes. Amenities- There is NO elevator, the pool area is small but clean, and there is a nice outdoor deck with picnic tables and a grill. Room-clean. The bed is a comfortable firm bed, if you prefer that. We do not and did not sleep well. This will be the reason we do not return. The pillows are the small square ones (hate them). The redecorating is nice. The shower goes cold when a toilet is flushed. No extra towels in bathroom. Staff- they were so friendly! Everyone greeted us and seemed happy doing their job. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.

Not like your usual Best Western. The TV hardly had any channels, they had paid programs like face cream, copper pots, jewelry, etc. Probably the cheapest service you would pay for. The room had this awful green color, no decorations. Extremely plain. Carpet in poor condition, no baseboard and ceiling could use work also.

Chose this property for it closeness to the hospital, 1-2 minute drive. This appears to be an older property that has been updated. The property was clean. The room was clean and updated. But the room had that old hotel room musty type of smell. There was no bed spread, just a thin sheet and thin blanket. Had a room with two doubles. The mattress was ok, but not great. The A\\C worked very good. The staff was friendly. Felt safe staying at the property. Easy to get in and out of the property. Only negative was that musty-mildew type odor in the room. Doubt I would stay there again by choice. Room rate was a little better than some of the other newer hotels in the area.

We love staying at Best Western Opelika. The employees are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The free breakfast is great! Internet hookup is great and there is a computer in the lobby to use if you need to print something. We stay there 2 or 3 times a month. I love the rewards system. This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a review but this Best Western deserves it ! This was the cleanest (inside and out),most friendly,standard Best Western I have ever stayed at . It was just far enough from the interstate to be very quiet with plenty of parking. There were many restaurants within one mile with a Duncan Doughnuts ,Domino's,Heaven Baked Ham in walking distance(across a quiet street). The whole area seemed very safe and clean.I would highly recommend this hotel. This hotel should have a plus rating !!!

Living in Opelika and hosting out of town guest frequently, we are always needing hotel rooms. Usually for business, we might need one room per night or 10 rooms per night. This hotel was great,clean everything was updated.The only problem was they had a pancake machine.I love going to Best Western because of the waffles.The pancake machine didn't work right and they tasted horrible.But the rest of the breakfast was good.Grest value for the money

Travelling alone, needed a place 5 nights while playing at Grand National. I checked reviews on various places in Auburn and Opelika. I'm not fussy, so no need for an expensive fancy place. This was a few dollars a night more than I wanted to spend, but I'm glad I did. The high points... Location - 10 minutes from the course, and lots of restaurants within 10-15 minutes along Pepperell Pkwy from Opelika to Auburn. Room - spacious, modern, clean - much better than I was expecting Breakfast - I just grabbed a quick bite each day, but I could see that they have a good selection of food, with toaster, microwave and pancake maker (don't know what else to call it) I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.

After driving all day, it was nice to be welcomed by a friendly employee. Our only problem was the key card being wiped clean by the time we got to the room, but that was taken care of easily. Our only minor criticism was the lack of sausage in the gravy the next morning.

Stayed here while visiting our son who is working at Auburn University. Room featured a very comfortable bed and the bathroom looked newly renovated with a lovely shower. We had problems initially with the TV, however my husband tightened the wall connections & we were fine--very large selections of channels. Large selection of restaurants nearby & quick ride to downtown Auburn.Kudos to the super friendly woman who took care of the breakfast area--she was amazing & we appreciated the hot breakfast every morning. Would recommend to folks traveling in the Auburn area!

Stayed overnight at this hotel while traveling through Auburn/Opelika and left my camera in the breakfast area. After leaving, I called two hours later down the road to find out they had found it and placed it at the front desk. I returned to pick it up without incident. I really appreciate the honesty and integrity of the staff there; I can't thank them enough. The hotel is a little dated, but clean and comfortable. Location was convenient to the interstate. I would stay there again.

Stayed a couple of nights while we toured sights in the area. Hotel in not new, but is clean and reasonably updated. WiFi was challenged one night, but the front desk said there was an area wide problem beyond their control. Quiet and easy to get to. Access to many sights around and plenty of restaurants with 5-10 miles. Breakfast was good--standard offering as most other hotels.

This Best Western Hotel was great! Clean, nice and was very accommodating. I made a specific request and they had no problem meeting it! The rooms are very spacious and quite. The grounds were well kept.

This hotel is pretty good. The front desk staff was friendly, there is a free breakfast and the location is good. There is no elevator so I had to drag my suitcase up and down stairs. In addition, the pressure in the shower was very low and the water was either scalding or cold.

I will make BW my hotel of choice. The staff at Auburn/Opelika was extremely fantastic. The Pancake Bar was to die for. They made me feel right at home. I was mostly impressed by the shampoo and the body wash that was already in the shower. I was greeted when I walked in and I was also told to have a nice day and stay warm When ever I'm in town again I will insist on BW.

Visited for sons basic graduation. Takes about 35 minutes to get to the post. Allow an hour and remember that these cities straddle a time zone, so GA is an hour ahead. Pretty standard rooms with great TV and expansive cable. Like 100+ channels. Free wifi, larger fridge and microwave in room. Beds are firm but comfy... they may be memory foam. No elevator, which is odd. If stairs are a problem, ask for the 1st floor. Excellent staff here. Every person we have talked to! My only concern is that there seems to be no security on stairwells and exterior doors at the hallways. For this reason I would hesitate to stay here alone. That freaks me out. The area seems safe enough but I really prefer card keys required for all access points away from the lobby.

Nice BW, very reasonably priced. Wi-fi was good, direct tv a pain to deal with. Breakfast was basic, area small. Room was clean. Basic toiletries and good towels. Exterior doors not locked, but never felt unsafe. Only complaint was the ice machine next to our room, should have changed as soon as I saw it. Someone getting a lot of ice at 6am! Very noisy.

Blocked FOX News for a while... ( direct tv) Wifi sketchy, breakfast was terrible, front desk willfully unhelpful. Newer bestwestern. All king beds upstairs, no elevator, blankets scratchy, good bed, . Eggs pure rubber, biscuits cold and day old , good coffee, good yogart. No bananas. Wait person unfriendly and unkempt. .. but if all you need is a very good bed, clean room, at a decent price.. this is just fine BW.

Like the title says, you can stay here and be fine. It's near enough to Auburn (especially on a football weekend) and right off the highway. Breakfast is ok (grits were great!) and it's just this side of clean and nice enough. Sleep quality was very good. No elevator (only two floors) and side entrances are open 24/7...?? People were nice. Not a Hampton Inn, but it served the purpose.

Our golf group finished our tour in Opileika, staying at this BW. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was varied and well presented. The staff was very helpful. Good stop! We will go back again.

Love this hotel. Always clean and comfortable, inside and out. Reasonably priced except on football game weekends, then you can forget it. This hotel is always well maintained. I hope the older it gets, they continue to put money into it to keep it running. Nice comfortable patio area. Clean pay laundry area. They have a pool, but I have not been around to see it this year. When ever we head to Florida from Memphis, we plan a stop at the Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn. Since its renovation several years ago, they have maintained the quality and clealiness. The staff has always been helpful.

I am a charter bus driver and have stayed at many different hotels. This by far was one of my best experiences. The staff was friendly and always had time for a hello and a smile. The room was clean and well proportioned and the bed was comfortable.

I needed a few hours of good sleep on a long driving trip. Hotels.com listed a number of inexpensive hotels with poor reviews and expensive hotels with good reviews. This was the only facility on the local list with good reviews and a reasonable price. Those reviews were accurate.

We checked in after a long, arduous trip and were absolutely exhausted. Luckily for us, Olivia was behind the front desk. She not only was very professional, but treated us as though we were family. That was our introduction to this hotel. We got to the room and it was extremely clean. The next morning, a different front desk clerk, Gabrielle, treated us royally and made us feel as though we were important guests.

This Best Western was set back from the main highway but easy to get to. It was well maintained and the staff got us checked in very quickly. The room was well laid out and the beds very comfortable. I was surprised at how quiet it was, so you could get a restful sleep. The breakfast area and the meal were very good.

They were amazing from start to finish we had sick family at the hospital and came in late and I was still able to get. Room and a discount for the hospital and also Justin the clerk on night shift was awesome customer service was great all the girls that fixed breakfast which was really good also and clean rooms and nice housekeeping they are a good place to stay definitely best hotel I been to in a while A++++ great thanks guys I highly recommend this hotel to anyone for a stay for the game or if your in town for business whatever it's a great place and for kids our daughter was with us and she is 3 they were very nice.??????????????.

Good location and not too far from Auburn's football stadium. Very clean, newer hotel. Room entry through interior of hotel. Good hot & cold breakfast options. Big flat screen TV, refrig & microwave in room - coffee maker & hair dryer in bath room. Also, shower had shampoo & body wash dispensers which was a nice alternative to standard small shampoo bottles & bar soap.

I'm with piggly wiggly and just wanted to acknowledge that Oliva at the front desk is very friendly and goes above and beyond even reminded me to get a receipt for my stay! The fresh coffee helped with the early morning departure and she even allowed me to come get my headphones I left in the room

We had 2 rooms both clean on our way back to South Carolina breakfast was good but the new pancakes machine is not very good cold and thick. You where supposed to have wi-fi did not work in the room I had worked to get done never work call no help

This was a good place to stay for the price, rooms where clean and quiet, close to shopping and eaterys, breakfest was only complaint i had next to no elevators. Front desk staff where nice. Theirs is a 20.00 charge for incedentials

Bed was comfortable, fridge was cold. Not my favorite layout (my room faced parking lot on first floor), but a decent place to stay for the value. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and neat.

I stay here often to attend nursing school and early morning clinicals at the local hospitals and I will never stay anywhere else. I love the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE (from the front desk to house keeping everyone is very friendly and helpful). The hotel is modern with EXTREMELY CLEAN ROOMS, well-appointed with comfy beds, microwave, fridge, desk, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. The pool is clean, clear, and relaxing. I utilized the on-site laundromat to launder my scrubs and it is extremely clean, cozy, with great equipment.

We had a family funeral to attend and stayed here. Gabriele and Olivia were both cheerful, helpful, kind and friendly. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and the price was great. I highly recommend it. EXCELLENT STAY!!!

We stayed one night here on the first floor. Overall the room was very clean, no signs of wear or dirt. The hotel has free breakfast, free wifi, and I believe they have a pool as well(I am not a fan of hotel pools). It is walking distance to a few restaurants including Domino's. I do have a few complaints. The peephole on the door is GARBAGE, I couldn't see anything through it. Also the beds were a little too hard. For me it was ok, but some of my party said it was a problem. For handicapped people, there are not any elevators which should be expected for a two floor hotel, just make sure to ask for the first floor. This hotel does what a hotel should do well, and is a good one for staying a few nights.

This was our second stay at this specific hotel and we were not disappointed. The nightly rate is a bit higher than I would like but the cleanliness and the staff are top notch. The pool was clean and the deck chairs were in good condition. Only 2 of the tables had umbrellas to protect you from the Alabama sun. It would be nice if there were pool towels so we didn't have to use our room towels. Complimentary breakfast offerings are comparable to other hotel chains but here the breakfast area is sparkling clean and attended. There is NO elevator for this 2 floor facility so if steps are an issue for you or you have children and luggage to lug, be sure to request a first floor room.

Being not from America I was worried about getting lost so I ask the desk clerk for information on taxi and maybe some of the questions were stupid but that guy did not mind. Joe I think was him name he really helped me find good food and just answered my stupid questions. My stay was great!!

I really like this chain and have started staying at more of them in my business travels, but this one was a little lower in quality than I'm used to. It was just really noisy and very cold in the room and I didn't sleep well at all because of it. It didn't matter how high I set the a/c, the room still felt like an ice box. I literally had to sleep with a sweatshirt on. I tried turning it off one night but it's just too hot in Alabama in the summer. The one night I had it off, I had trouble sleeping because of how loud the fridge in the room was. I don't mind the constant sound of an a/c all night but a loud refrigerator that constantly kicks on and off was very annoying. I had perishables in it so I didn't want to unplug it. If you are a noise sensitive person, this may not be the right place for you. I also had a problem trying to set the water temperature in the shower. I don't mind dealing with these things for a night or two, but for a whole week it was not enjoyable. That being said, the staff here were all very friendly and the breakfast was good.

A great hotel. We stopped here for an overnight stay as we were traveling. Checked in after 10 and the front counter attendant was waiting on us,he was super nice and was very helpful moving things along quickly.Stayed on 2nd floor and had to use the stairs because of no elevator. Room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic,had something for everyone. We would stay here again for sure.

Not sure I want to let everyone know about this little gem. We stayed here for a weekend getaway and the staff was above fantastic. Breakfast bar was good. Location gave us easy access to the areas we were going around Auburn. Rooms were well maintained.

I feel that I am lucky to find this hotel. The rooms are very clean...front desk people are very nice. Had one small problem (no HOT coffee at 3:30am) which was not a big deal. Janiece and Galdaj the (Whoop Whoop girls) are really good at the front desk and I believe the next time I am in town (in about 3 weeks) I will have hot coffee.

Stayed at the hotel on an over night while passing through. Accommodations were great. Rooms very clean and cold. Janiece was awesome! Breakfast was amazing! The biscuits and sausage gravy were tasty. The yogurt bar with toppings was a big hit! Will stay again if ever in the area!

Great hotel, except no elevator. With a walker this created a problem. We were moved to a first floor room immediately the next day. Otherwise the hotel was great. VERY quiet rooms, we could barely hear any noise, comfortable, clean, great breakfast. Convient to restaurants, shopping, gas.

Our family stays at several hotels throughout our vacations. The best western in Opelika is quite possibly the cleanest. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast area had several options. Pool and fitness center were very clean. Nice sitting area in the back with picnic tables and a grill. Rooms had room to move around and were very very clean. Would defiantly stay again!!!!

We were on a long road trip and this was one of many stops to rest and rejuvenate. JaNiece checked us in and was very informative as well as very personable. The next morning we had breakfast and Gabby as well as another staff member made sure we had everything we wanted. The room was very clean as was the breakfast area. The staff was genuinely friendly and treated us like extended family. If I ever find myself in Opelika again, I will definitely know where to stay!

First up, the service that we received from JaNiece at the front desk was excellent: check-in and check-out were friendly and professional, we got some great local tips, and we'd go back just on the basis of this experience. Other aspects of our stay could have used some improvement, however. The accommodation was clean but noisy, with creaking floorboards in the room above and some disturbance from the corridor, too. The pillows were a little too small to provide a comfortable sleep. The vending machines weren't working, but the front desk could not offer an alternative source of bottled water (which was unfortunate, given the hot temperature). The outdoor pool looked pleasant enough, and the buffet breakfast did its job fairly well. It's a good place to spend the night if passing through, and it's good value, but it's wise to keep expectations realistic.

we had been on the road for 9 weeks when we checked in. Janice was great. We were doing a big motorcycle trip and this was out last night on the road. we stayed at many places along the trip, but I think this was the most pleasant group of employees we encountered. And we rode 13,800 miles and saw lots of hotels along the way.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff at this hotel is the best I have ever come across at a hotel. Janiece is the perfect person to have at the front desk for check in. If I owned a hotel, she would be the one I would want at my front desk. She was super friendly! After we had been there a while, we could not get the TV working. I asked her about it and she came down to our room to fix it for us... everything with a smile! Terrell was there for check out and he was also wonderfully friendly! The lady at breakfast was wonderful too! Did a great job! Kept everything stocked and warm. It was a wonderful stay and If I am back in the Auburn/Opelika area, I would definitely stay here again!

Later that night she came in and fixed our TV. Everything with a smile. When we checked out, Terrell was wonderful. The lady that did breakfast was fantastic! Never ran out of anything... and she was very friendly! Will stay here again if we are back in Auburn/Opelieka

Clean, quiet and accommodating. The only draw back is no elevator. But to the hotel's credit, if you have a physical condition that makes it hard to climb stairs the staff makes every effort to place you on the ground floor and help with luggage and mobility. Janice goes above and beyond her customer service responsibilities. She takes a personal approach to make sure your stay is a good one.

This hotel was great for my family! JaNiece was so professional and courteous at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make sure that our check in and stay went without a hitch! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the price was perfect and the location was convenient as well.

The room was clean and it is conveniently located. But what I especially liked was the service. During breakfast, an employee named JaNiece was extremely friendly and fun to talk to. When I asked for a pitcher of water she stopped what she was doing and came back with it along with a big smile. I think she was awesome and you won't meet friendlier folks anywhere!

You get what you pay for .i booked my stay online . I was very disappointed in this hotel . It is NOT a family hotel . It caters to Truckers . I was traveling for just one night with my daughter . We felt very uncomfortable the whole night . The parking lot did not have enough room to park due to big trucks everywhere . This hotel does not have an elevator . When I arrived , I was told because I was checking in at 8 pm all the bottom floors was booked so I would have to stay upstairs with no elevator . I was in an accident several years ago . I have no knee cap . My daughter had to assist me up the stairs . Not enough handicap parking along with all the large trucks parking and taking up 3 spaces was not accommodating . The toilet did not flush correctly and the room smelled . I will never be staying at this hotel again and would highly recommend if you are a family looking for a family oriented hotel then look somewhere else . If you are in the trucking business then this is the perfect hotel for you . Even the desk clerk said they cater to truckers . Very disappointed that Best Western would have their name on this establishment .

I am on the road 300 plus days a year and I meet lots of people along the way... Today I met a very nice young lady who totally made my day a lot better. When you are in soooo many motels, you can be surprised and delighted to see that someone at the place where you are spending your money, seems to really care about your well being. She made sure I knew what door to use and about what time and where breakfast was going to be served and the Internet user name/password and what was the check-out time...etc. If I owned a property I would want Janice (the hotel front desk clerk) to be the first person my customers speak to when they open the door. She knows how to talk to people and make them feel at home. That's how you keep your rooms full...keep your customers smiling and they'll come back! The property is very nice and very clean. It is what you expect from Best Western.

The whole staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The room I was in was very clean. The air conditioning would freeze you. I liked that. Clean breakfast area and the food was good to. JaNiece was very friendly and funny.

After a slight problem with our reserved rate was solved, the accommodations were very nice. Large room, with all the amenities. Frig, microwave, coffee maker, and a nice bathroom. Very clean. We were on the second floor that is quiet as there is no elevator or ice machine. Full breakfast included and there was no problems with the WiFi.

Staff makes the stay at this motel a pleasureable experience. They were accommodating to our family when we experienced the unexpected sickness and death of one of our family members. The rooms are very practible and clean. I have NEVER experience a staff as friendly as the one at the Best Western Auburn/Opelika Inn.....must be that Auburn..War Eagle Spirit!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. This motel is very upscale with large rooms that are well decorated and furnished. The large flat screen TV had HD reception. The room had all the usual amenities: A/C, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, and curved shower rod. The breakfast was the standard continental but with an automatic pancake maker. The front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Very nice stay and it is highly recommended.

We were greeted the second we came into the building. Everyone was very pleasant ,especially Janiece who got us set up in our rooms. She knew the person's name who booked our rooms for us ,before anything was said. We were very pleased with the attention we received . All of the staff were very friendly & pleasant. We would recommend this motel to anyone that needs a place to stay in this area.

Driving between Crystal River, FL and Memphis in one day wasn't possible when traveling with our elderly parents -- so we broke up the looooong drive with an overnight in Opelika. The staff were super friendly, both at check-in and at the handful of other times we either passed by or stopped in at the front desk. The rooms were very clean and very quiet, and we liked the pool and small weight room. Wanted to walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner ... no can do. (No sidewalks, no crosswalks, and a multilane highway to cross!) It was easy to drive the half mile -- just felt a bit silly doing so! We were so tired that we didn't manage to go Opelika proper -- but that just shows how easily we got to the hotel from the freeway (and back on the freeway the next morning).

We were in Opelika for our granddaughter's college graduation. We arrived early and stopped at the hotel to see what time we could check in and the nice man working the desk said we could check in right then and he even gave us a ground floor room. Our room was very nice and clean. Later my husband discovered he had lost one of his hearing aids and started to retrace his steps out to where he had packed the car. The girl working the desk at that time, who's name was Janiece, offered to help us look and walked with us looking all the way. We found it in the parking lot thank goodness. Janiece offered to be of help if we needed anything else. All the staff we came in contact with where super nice.

Stay at this hotel last week and the breakfast attending Ms. Milley Calloway was outstanding, she was very knowledgeable about the area and gave my wife and I some great idea's to do while we where in Opelika, she kept the breakfast area clean and stocked of all brealfast items. Wonderful and friendly thank you Ms. Milley for a great stay at your hotel

We had a great stay from check in to departure. Clean, well appointed rooms, plenty of refreshments and amenities. Great, friendly staff and appetizing breakfasts. We had a late check in for Auburn University graduation, and the staff made sure we got to the room and informed us of key card operation, in room amenities, where and when breakfast was served and made sure we were happy with the rooms. We stayed 2 nights, and returned to cleaned and replenished rooms with in room coffee, all soaps and shampoos and clean towels. A great stay over all and we will definitely return.

We were in town for the Kenny Chesney/Miranda Lambert concert.. First thing Janiece was amazing!! she is one of the friendliest front desk clerk I have ever had.. There was a line to check in & on top of that there was lady that needed assistant with I am guessing her ticketmaster tickets. Janiece helped all of us and kept us laughing, never got overwhelmed she was just amazing, so friendly, bright personality & smile. There needs to be more of her in this world!! Second the room was very clean, smelled great, beds very comfortable. Very Good experience

The room was clean and the desk clerk was exceptional. Oliva was very polite and seemed so happy to be there. The breakfast was better than we expected due to having more than the traditional continental breakfast.

Two most important factors - clean rooms and friendly staff. It is an older hotel but well kept. There is no elevator to the second floor. The staircases are not very long or steep but they are narrow. The a/c was cold and the beds comfortable with a lot of soft pillows. The staff was very accommodating by opening the breakfast room early because there were several groups who needed to be out early. Checkout was at 11 and would cost $10 dollars for a noon checkout. All in all, we would stay here again on our next trip to Auburn.

You never know what to expect when you're traveling to an area you've never been and staying a hotel you've never stayed in. While traveling for business, my company booked this hotel for me. When I checked in Janiece was at the front desk - she was amazing. Very friendly, personable, funny and she definitely knew what she was doing. Later in the evening we had an issue with the toilet. Janiece was still working and she was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure the room was okay for us. As a matter of fact, she was handling a check-in, a guest with a wi-fi question AND ME. And she handled it like a pro - didn't miss a beat! The next morning our team had to leave before breakfast would be ready. The staff made sure that were able to get some muffins, juice, fruit and coffee before we left. We were bummed we missed out on the biscuits though. The room was great, the bed was comfy, the staff was excellent. I highly recommend this Best Western and make sure you say hello to Janiece!

Long day of driving decided to stop and rest. I have stayed at Best Western many times before. We stopped at the Best Western in Opelika, Al. and was greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Room were very comfortable and clean. As always the we enjoyed the breakfast bar in the morning. We checked out in the morning and forgot my wife blanket and pillow in the room. I called Best western and ask if they had found the blanket and pillow, they had and ask if they could ship it to us, in a short time we had received the pillow and blanket. My wife was very happy and is now sleeping back to normal. The staff at Best Western went out of there way to help us out and we really appreciated it very must. I will stay again at Best Western and enjoy the friendly service. Thank you again

My son plays on a travel basketball team and we had to stay in Auburn for the weekend. Janiece made sure we were taken care of. She was very familiar with the area. Breakfast was good and convenient for a group of growing boys. We were very pleased with the overall visit and price. To make the stay even better, we won the championship!

We were greeted with a smile and lots of laughter! JaNiece has a great personality that was very warm and inviting. After traveling all day to get down here her attitude helped pick is back up, and with her advice we had a great first night out. We love staying here during home football games at Auburn. We have stayed here for the past two years and have never had an issue. Nice rooms, good breakfast and good location. Staff is super nice and so very helpful.

Janiece was very friendly!! She was also very welcoming! She gave us all the information needed! She was informative and gave extra information. She showed us where breakfast was located and she informed us of where the pools were located.

I would like to say that the stay was great the front desk lady Gabby was wonderful, she was nice and funny while we were checking into the hotel. The room was well maintain, and the beds were so comfy. Thanks for a great stay.

So a friend of mine and I made a last minute reservation after the A-day game last year to avoid driving after an exhausting day enjoying all the festivities. We made the reservation over the phone and showed up within the hour and were placed in a room with no problems. We had a nice relaxing stay in a clean room with a pleasant breakfast the next day before both parting for home. However, many months later after reviewing my end of year credit card statement, I realized I had been billed for 2 rooms, instead of 1. After some research into the issue, it was realized that the clerk had mistaken my last name over the phone and taken my credit card number over the phone for a room under the erroneous last name. When we physically showed up for the room, we were booked in another room as the last names did not match. The room under the mistaken last name was charged with a no-show. After discovering this nearly a year after the fact, I thought there was going to be little to no chance of getting a refund or if so it was going to be a major hassle. The hotel owner actually took the time to call me and offered a refund with no hesitation, and we discussed the situation as a learning experience for his staff (and myself honestly, use confirmation numbers and/or email addresses to avoid this problem!) He could not have been nicer about the situation. Bottom line is, if you are looking for a clean and convenient room next time you are in the Auburn/Opelika area, and want to support honest businesses, stay here. I will definitely go back next time I am in town.

Thankful for the clean quiet hotel room, Best Western at its best, after our tour of Shiloh National Battlefield. We were glad we were able to enjoy their hot breakfast buffet before we got on the road to visiting relatives in Florida. There was a nice outdoor pool, but we didn't have time to use it.

This is a very nice, clean, very friendly hotel. Staff treats you like family. Love staying at this hotel when in the area. I feel very safe at this hotel and as a woman traveling this is very important. Janeice at the front desk is always happy and smiling makes you feel welcome

Had a great experience. After staying in many se lvl hotels this one was better by far. Nice rooms with great colors and nice sofa on the window that allows you to drink a nice cup of tea watch the outside and enjoy the breeze. Within walking distance theres a large shopping center with many places to eat. Great staff, basketball field Great hotel!

I stayed here while visiting the vet school at Auburn, and it was great. Not too far from the town, and the room was very clean and modern. The staff was extremely accommodating and helped me out with everything I needed! Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

While traveling with our competition show choir we stayed at the Best Western during Valentine's weekend. We had no hot water whatsoever in the morning and all the breakfast items like biscuits, gravy and eggs were cold.

Overall, very nice hotel! Good service, great value, and very clean. Nice rooms. Friendly service. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I'm in Opelika, Alabama again. This would be one of my top choices.

Enjoyed my stay. Everything was clean. Everyone was friendly. The rooms were wonderful. The hotel was not on the main road so we could not hear any automobile noise. Very central to where we needed to be. Breakfast was very good. I loved the pancake machine.

I attempted to check out at midnight, on duty was a different personnel than the gentleman who checked me in. Personnel was unable to check me out or provide me with a physical or electronic receipt due to being unable to close or batch out. Personnel assured me I was good to go and that an electronic copy would be sent to me before 0400AM which failed to materialize until I called the next day to request an e-copy be sent which was done promptly. A copy of the receipt is required for accurate reimbursement for work related travel. Also previously when I stayed at the BW in Opelika in 09/2015 I was presented with a breakfast goody bag which I found thoughtful during my travel on the road. On this occasion I was not offered anything when I attempted to check out.

Excellent property off of Hwy 280 for access anywhere in the Auburn area. About 10 minutes from university and my meeting was 15 minutes away. Anything you would want to eat within 2 miles including a Outback Steakhouse about 200 yards from the hotel. Only negative is the hotel is tucked away a bit inside from the exit. But it is an excellent hotel with some of the friendliest staff I've stayed with. Pancake machine was great also.

Check in was smooth and desk clerk helped me locate my local destination and a restaurant for dinner. Room was clean and temp controls were adequate. Breakfast bar was well-stocked and maintained. Enjoyable stay - would recommend to others

This is the first time we have stayed in this hotel. It was very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location was very convenient to Auburn University and to restaurants and shopping. The price was reasonable. We will stay here again.

I find the overall experience at most hotels under a hundred dollars to be very much poor to average; but this is one of those exceptions. Check-in was quick, the receptionist friendly and eager to inform you of their services, breakfast, etc., the room spacious and equipped with fridge, microwave, etc., nice towels, a large and comfortable king size bed, and on and on. The next morning breakfast was good, and included everything from a small buffet of eggs, sausage, etc., to pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, juice, good coffee, etc. So, for a total of $78 we got a great night's sleep in an excellent small hotel.

Recently my husband had surgery at EAMC that required him to stay in ICU. Although, we live not too far away, I did not want to be away from him. He did not want me to sleep in a chair all night in the waiting room, so we compromised. I stayed at the Best Western a mile away. Perfect for the situation we were facing.

If all Best Western hotels were to emulate this one, the chain would enjoy a much better reputation! We were pleasantly surprised by a clean, kempt room with good amenities (fridge, microwave, tv, wi-fi). The bathroom was updated and I LOVE the dispenser in the shower - something more hotels should use rather than providing little bottles of shampoo, etc. The free breakfast was fine and again, the upgraded pancake maker is sooo much better than the flip waffle maker at most hotels. We would definitely return here.

I was lucky enough to get last minute tickets. I booked this hotel the day before. I was very surprised they had rooms available. It looks like it recently renovated and had new TV's and furniture. Never tried a Best Western before, but will definitely stay at this one when I come in town again. Hotel is clean, convenient to restaurants, and they even had a shuttle take us to the game and bring us back.

When I stayed at Best western hotel this was on a football weekend I was up one morning about 7:15am i get up an look out the window an see one of their employees with a white pillow Case. Putting tissue into her suv it was a green Kia if you take from the company you work for ain't no telling what you would do in a stay over.........

We stayed here for Iron Bowl weekend because it was one of the only hotels with availability. We were very happy with our stay. Room was very clean, one of the cleanest I've stayed in actually. Bathrooms were very nice and spotless which was very nice. Breakfast was about what you would expect, nothing spectacular but still very good considering it was free. The only negative is that there are no locks on the exterior side entrances so anyone can gain access to the hotel at night. Overall very happy with our stay and would go back again
