    « weekend »

We spent one night in this hotel and we were positively surprised by the room, it was clean and huge, with a lot of windows. The bathroom with shower was clean and new-modern too. The breakfast was good even if they could put something more, both salt and sweet. The hotel is close to the city center but around it there's nothing. I know that there's also the possibility to reserve a massage but we didn't try it.

    « Disappointed »

We are at the hotel presently staying for 3 nights. The rooms are good and the food is lovely. But if you are a smoker; although there is back area with tables and chairs which we thought we would sit after breakfast we were told that this area was closed so therefore had to stand on the front steps of the hotel to have our cigarette. Not very good for a four star hotel

    « A pleasant stay »

Stayed in the Russian Suite and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious and well-equipped, with all expected amenities. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice and was served in pleasant surroundings. Handy location for walking to the old town where there are lots of restaurants to choose from. Only slight criticism is that the member of staff who checked us in was not exactly welcoming, he acted as if we'd interrupted his quiet Monday afternoon. Olsztyn is a great place to spend a few days and this hotel is a good choice.

    « nr 1 in the city »

Prepare to be amazed. The place is just great and the staff - top notch. I absolutely recommend Dyplomat to everyone! It's close enough to the center but far enough from noise and hassle. Rooms and bathrooms immaculate. Really great place.

    « Superb...again! »

They say lightning doesn't strike twice. Not true. I've just stayed in my beloved room 304 again, here at the Dyplomat. The room against which all other rooms must be measured. Massive, clean, light & airy. The best hotel room in Olsztyn! Breakfast (self serve) was varied & excellent. Staff friendly without being overbearing. This hotel is hugely recommend for anyone who is staying in this city- if you've never been to Olsztyn before, book this hotel and live like a Lord for the duration. Sadly, I must shortly leave Poland in order to return to Great Britain but, sure as Good Queen Bess likes to stick a crown on her head when welcoming the Prime Minister of Djibouti, or wherever, I'll be back...

« Boutique hotel ? good for any occasion »

Very pleasant hotel. The clerk at check-in had trouble to find my reservation (by Best Western network) but finally he found it. Spacious rooms with nice decor, spacious bathroom. In the cellar bar (where breakfast is also served) with the decor as befits a place in the basement. On the last 4th floor there is a small conference room with a partially glass roof with a nice view over the rooftops of Olsztyn. Unguarded parking is in the street below the hotel, or about 150 meters underground paid one in an office building. I would recommend this hotel.

    « Wedding Party »

Great venue for a wedding party, the food was good, few dishes didn't do well. Krokiety were a bit wired. The staff was excellent and very friendly. We did have one problem but as soon we alert the staff about it, they deal with it very good and quick. The hotel is very clean and very stylish. Manager Filip was very helpful. Overall is a great hotel and I will be definitely back.

« Great place, great value »

Amazing staff at the front desk helped us with taxi arrangements to and from the train station since we don't speak a word of Polish. The room was spotless though a bit small and the lack of AC might be problematic in the summer. The onsite restaurant had a limited menu but the food was excellent and the wait staff very friendly.

« Nice hotel but lack of wow factor »

I stayed here during a business trip and I have to say that I liked the rooms and the bed. Big and very comfy but what I did not like was that the bathroom smelled like smoke. Just like someone just had somoked in there, and it did not go away. The restaurant was nice with good food and a nice outside area that made dinner in to a lovely a late summer evening. The location was not that bad but I had problems finding a green area close by.

« Good hotel, good breakfast close to Old Town »

I was on a short business trip to Olsztyn and stayed in Dyplomat because of the price mainly, but I was nicely surprised with the quality of my stay. Room was big and perfectly equipped. Hotel makes more of an impression of old hotel with tradition then average Best Western Hotel. It has style and is placed in an ancent builting with very nice cellar where they serve really good breakfast. Old Town is about 10 minutes of walk. My only problem was some noisein the morning due to constructon works outside, but I forgive...whole city is under reconstruction and gets more and more beautiful each year I visit it.

    « A great find! »

We were in Poland for 2 weeks; one week in Masuria and another in Hel and, well, the local team in Olsztyn, the mighty Stomil, were at home and the last bus back on a Saturday night to Mragowo was too early- look, you get the drift (!) and this meant a hotel for the night in the lovely city of Olsztyn. I booked about a month before we stayed and the rate was (translated) about £46. For that we got a superb room (203), huge, cavernous it was- a blimp could have parked itself in there and you'd still have space to move comfortably around. Spotless it was, too. Breakfast was excellent- a lot of choice and no fuss as it was self-serve. We had little need to engage the staff, but they were fine when we did (we had to change our door-card, which didn't work), and checkin/checkout was painless. I'd recommend both the city and this hotel to anyone, oh, and for those waiting at home with bated breath...Stomil beat Katowice 2-1!

    « Really nice stay »

Very comfortable rooms with actually all you need, great service. Very close to Old Town and Railway Station. It is actually in the middle and you need 10 minutes by foot. Breakfast was good. I recommend this place.

« Great hotel and restaurant »

My room was VERY big. My co-worker's room however, was so small that he could barely fit his suitcase in and walk around comfortably. So, he checked out and went elsewhere. The restaurant was absolutely fantastic! We ate there like 4 nights in a row. Yes, it was that good. Short menu, 5 or 6 entrees, but loved it. Overall, great place. Staff really friendly and accommodating. 2nd time visiting, Wifi was great as well.
