Best Western Plus Oak Harbor Hotel & Conference Center

This is a good place in Oak Harbor, the largest city on Whidby Island.....also China City restaurant on the property, so you don't have to drive anymore that day. Friendly people, clean room and a good bed, what else do you want from a hotel? Would recommend.

Great hotel in Oak Harbor! The check in was quick, the room was very clean and had everything I needed. There is a pool and gym. The continental breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of parking. The hotel is right next to a Chinese restaurant that has a full bar. The room has a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee, and plenty of cable channels. I will stay again when I am back in town.

Reserved a room for one night for business, upon check in the line was quite long but the wait wasn't too terrible. Lobby has fresh baked cookies and snacks to keep happy. The gentleman at the counter apologized for the wait a few times; it was only him checking people in and there was another staff member there who wouldn't look up at the growing line in front of her, but kept busy on the computer and darted away once she saw the line was thinning. The man made a couple jokes and heartedly made us laugh as I got checked in quickly and promptly given the information about WiFi and breakfast. The hallway ceilings on the third were very vaulted and i almost expected the same ceilings in the room, sadly opening the door to reveal normal ceilings but a very spacious room. Nice to have a fridge and microwave. But bad things outweighed the good in this room. Removal of the thick cream comforter revealed the underside had some nasty stains of different colors and sizes, and the thicker sheet under that also had some stains closer towards the bottom of the bed. There was no mattress protector or any encasement on the bed, only a very old and ratty fleece blanket that was like the ones I used when I was a CNA working with older people who wet the bed. The fleece blanket was smaller than the king bed and positioned in the middle of the bed, creating an uncomfortable line on the sides on the bed. There was a wall thermostat in my room, when I tried to turn it on there was nothing on the screen so I called to the front desk asking how to operate it or if there was a trick. The person told me that it doesn't work and that the air is controlled by the unit under the window. That's all fine with me but it's pointless to put a thermostat on the wall if it's not even going to work. Flies on the window sill were pretty much the last straw for cleanliness. When the maids don't even wipe the sill, what else don't they clean?

Extremely welcoming and friendly staff; excellent selection at breakfast, would definitely recommend to anyone traveling with a pet - request a ground floor room with a patio door so you can have direct access to grassy picnic and pet area across the parking lot

Stayed the Labour Day Sunday at Oak Harbor Best Western. Great location between Deception Pass and Clinton Ferry terminal. Both check in and check out staff were extremely friendly and professional. Had a spacious king room on the third floor, very large suite with vaulted ceilings and large bath area. Great citrus bath amenities and the most powerful shower head we have ever witnessed in a hotel. Good continental breakfast though the food area was a little smallish and overly crowded, food selection was good.

We stayed here with a large group for a taekwondo tournament. The hotel is right off the highway and easy to find. The front desk staff was nice and helpful with good information about restaurants in the existing area. We stayed in a two bed room that had a sliding door to a tiny ledge outside. The room was a typical Beat Western hotel. It was plenty large for the three of us and had a mini fridge, hairdryer, microwave, and flat screen tv. The included breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast with lots of choices. The only problem we had was on Saturday night. There was a Party downstairs and the music was coming into our room through the floor until late at night. I called the front desk two or three times before they finally got the music turned down. I realize it wasn't the hotels fault I just wish they could have gotten it turned down a little quicker since I had my little kids with me. Our room faced the highway and there was not a problem with road noise. We would stay here again.

Great Oak Harbor location .We had a 2 queen room. Clean, roomy, and comfortable . Great water pressure in the shower. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. In the basement and small rooms . Great effort but not quit right. But would return.

One night's stay August 21.18 and very nice hotel with friendly staff from check in to check out. Lovely free breakfast.. unbelievable in fact. Hot and cold items with huge variety and a treat to have bacon that is perfectly fried. Would come back just for the breakfast! The prints throughout the hotel are lovely and suit the location on Whitby Island

Cookies at arrival with fresh coffee, great breakfast, and helpful staff! Slept great on beds. Awesome lighting in bathroom and terrific pool. Will make sure to share with friends very clean inside and out

We enjoyed our stay at this BW. We got a very nice room sometimes in BW the 'pet rooms' are not that clean or tidy but this one was. The staff was kind and helpful on check in and in spite of some computer problems on check out they were still attentive and showed no apprehension as they helped us get on our way as soon as they could

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The shower pressure was outstanding for a hotel!! Some areas of the hotel need updating like the bathtubs and the Pool area but overall this was a very good hotel that is close to everything in town. Only problem we had was with the breakfast and the Waffle Maker had to be replaced due to the teflon coming off, so we couldn't have waffles during our 3 day stay which we were looking forward too! We would stay at this hotel again.

Opportunities are limited in Oak Harbor, so I'm guessing that's why the Best Harbor stays busy. We were there for a military ceremony and were told this was the nicest place to stay. Plus it had our one extra requirement - a hot tub. Our room was just ok and beds were uncomfortable, but nothing ticks me off more than a hot tub that is barely lukewarm. Seriously, if you're going to have it, you need to heat it! The breakfast wasn't very good either. My Dad, who stays at Best Western all the time for business, said this was the worst one he's ever stayed at. My husband and I, who don't travel as much, were just disappointed.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They helped us by providing a map of the area and a magazine about the amenities in the area. The location is excellent for walking to shopping and dining. Our room was comfortable and convenient

I spent one night here. I was given a room on the second floor. The room was spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The plumbing is a little loud but overall the room was quiet. The breakfast was good. The room it is served in is very warm but there are tables out in the hallway where it's cooler. This was my first stay at a Best Western Plus. I was very happy and satisfied with the experience.

While I didn't quite get the rate I needed for work, the FOM was able to help me a little closer to that number, which my pockets really appreciated at the end of my stay. With close proximity to base and eateries, I will definitely be recommending to any future coworkers that need to go out there.

Room was large and very clean. The breakfast was by far the best I have ever experienced at a hotel and the staff was very friendly! I recommend to anyone going to Whidbey Island to stay here. Cookies were even in the lobby every afternoon.

We have stayed here previously. We aren't sure how BW decides on the PLUS . This hotel doesn't seem equal to others with that designation. It doesn't seem to get updated. We are Gold Star members, and usually get recognized for this, be it water bottles, upgrading, or honoring special requests. This time we asked for a top floor room. We are light sleepers. We were on 2Nd floor, and told that the windows above were for storage rooms, and offices. At our last night, we heard lots of noise, starting after 10 pm. Sounded like children running and jumping and shouting. After 15 minutes if this, we called the office. We were told they would go and talk to them. “ they are opening a hideabed”. The racket continued, running, jumping, thudding. After another call, quiet... then what seemed like retaliation, rhythmic pounding. So much for sleep. We were given a $50 refund on checking out and told the family checked in after 10 and were given a room with a king bed and hideabed. 4 or 5 children. We should have gotten an apology and refund of one night. Breakfast on first day ( we stayed 3 nights) was a disaster. Crowded, standing room only. No trays to take back to room. Better after that, when a Boardroom was opened for overflow. Still lots of uncontrolled kids creating messes and running wild. No reprimands from staff. We won't be back.

After spending the day at Olympic National Park and taking the ferry from Port Townsend to Coupeville, we spent the night at this hotel. The next day we were heading to San Juan Island. This hotel is situated in an area that has a lot of restaurants and stores. The hotel is very pretty and is up to the Best Western Standards. There were welcoming cookies in the lobby. Our room was very convenient on the first floor. The room was quite large and very clean. The breakfast area was down one floor in the meeting room area. The room with the food had a few tables, but there were also table in the hallway. So there was plenty of room to sit. The breakfast was the usual Best Western fare. It was very good and nicely presented. Very happy with this hotel choice.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Oak Harbor Best Western, now designated a “Plus” property. It is located in the same parking lot as the China City restaurant, handy for travelers who want to walk over for Chinese food. Our room (#108) was spacious and nicely decorated. Attractive cabinets concealed the microwave, coffee maker, and a refrigerator larger than what we usually find. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was reliable. The bathroom was a disappointment. The bottom of the tub did not look clean, and the door did not close all the way; perhaps deliberate, as there is a large metal cleat installed over the door top. This may be an indicator of a ventilation problem, as even with the fan turned on, the mirror was 100% fogged up after a shower. We used the outdoor hot tub and noticed the bottoms of both the pool and the spa needed to be cleaned. Nice strong jets were enjoyable, but we both thought the spa could have been a few degrees hotter. Back to the positives: the apples and cookies set out in the lobby were appreciated, and the included breakfast was quite nice, with plenty of choices including fresh fruit. I also liked very much the artwork chosen for the hallways.

On a recent summer vacation to Whidbey Island, we decided upon this Best Western. We arrived about half an hour before check-in and the lobby staff immediately sent the cleaning staff to our prepare our room and it was done in 10 minutes. Our two queen room was clean and spacious with enough space to put down an extra cot. The beds were extremely comfortable and made for a great nights rest. Included breakfast in the morning was the usual fare of egg omelettes, bacon, biscuits ,sausage gravy, waffles and oatmeal. Plus an assortment of yogurts, cereals and breads. The seating area was a little cramped and quite hot in a small room in the basement with a few additional seats outside the room. The gym was small, with a few cardio machines and a universal machine and that was it. The small pool outside was a little disappointing, but the kids still had fun swimming in to the 8ft middle. Soft cookies greeted us in the afternoons in the lobby and pleasant staff made for a great stopover when visiting Deception Pass and not wanting to camp.

We came to the Northwest to visit friends, sight see and cool off in early July from our home in Phoenix, staying with friends near Vancouver, WA for 5 nights and needed 2 hotel nights on Whidbey Island. From other reviews we looked at the BW in Oak Harbor and found very good ratings and excellent pricing for our dates. The hotel was midway between the ferry at Anacortes and Coupeville as well, as we utilized the ferry system to avoid Seattle traffic and visit the San Juan Islands. The hotel was very clean, large room, quiet, comfortable bed, modern, good wi fi, microwave, refrigerator, many cable channels, nice bathroom and a Chinese restaurant in the parking lot that we used for dinner. The included breakfast was about as good as it gets for a hotel breakfast with an early start of 6 am. Employees were pleasant and helpful. Only negative was our arrival was at 315 pm, was told our requested top floor room would be ready in 25 minutes, was not ready until after 5pm. All things considered you could not do much better than this BW + for your accommodation needs.

This might not be the newest hotel in Oak Harbor but it is the best. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is always friendly, and free breakfast is great. Would not hesitate to stay here. I am in Oak Harbor for business often and if there is a room available, this is my first choice and it has been for the past 6 years.

We stayed here on our trip of the Pacific Northwest and it was so nice. This is a very nice hotel. Clean, nice. Excellent beds and nice breakfast. Loved it! Staff was very helpful. I would stay here if on Whidbey Island.

Large room, good bed, bathroom with details like a makeup mirror and built-in retractable laundry line. Naval base nearby flies jets low and loud, which we thought might disturb our sleep. But we turned the fan on "constant" and slept well. Good breakfast. There is a Chinese restaurant just outside the front door; we didn't eat there but it is certainly convenient.

Generally, this was an excellent overnight stop on one of the Puget Sound islands. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was decent. Good breakfast and good Wi-Fi added to the comfort. Upon check-in and during a couple of other visits to the front desk, the staff provided me with good information about online ferry reservations for the next day itinerary. The only concern would be sound insulation, as I was able to hear the young boy's cries and the parents' quiet discussion from the neighboring room, while I was on my laptop leading up to bed. During the night, I was also able to hear some movement from the other neighboring room, although it was not enough to disturb a good night's sleep.

This hotel is a short drive to the Anacortes ferry to Canada or the San Juan islands or to the Coupevill ferry to the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. It is conveniently located near a wide variety of restaurants, is quiet, comfortable, and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a pool and gym, which we did not use this trip. They offer a hot breakfast, with eggs, sausage, and potatoes or French toast. Easy on/off highway access, a short drive to Deception Pass.

The booking of this room was great, the staff helped me and was very wonderful to work with. The room was clean, but the AC unit was stinky. It put out a moldy must smell the whole weekend. We left our window open. Perhaps it needs cleaned. The breakfast staff and overall experience was not good. They were out of most items by 9am but advertise that it is open until 10am. Very disappointing. It also was too small of a room and people crammed in and tripping over other people and tables to get back to the hallway. Very displeased with the breakfast part. Other then that the hotel was clean, nice and great staff.

My fourth year to stay here. Since I travel alone and I feel safe and comfortable here. The staff is friendly and and some even remembered me. The room is clean and quiet. I have not used the pool but it does look inviting.

The room's carpet and bathroom floors need more attention along with the towel rack, which fell off the wall. The in room phone work intermittantly also. The hotel room itself was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable.

This place works to make your stay an excellent experience. And great value, as well. Safe, clean, thoughtful design. Excellent linen and bedding. Will definitely consider coming back, when in the area.

We stayed at the Best Western for the Whidbey Island Marathon. The hotel has comfortable beds and a great shower. Coffee maker and a refrigerator are good amenities to have. Good clean hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice hotel. The breakfast was good, the beds comfortable, and the location was perfect. The staff were all friendly. The whirlpool is old, but it was clean. We used the fitness center, and the equipment all worked. It is close to the Naval Base, which is why we were in town.

Clean, Comfortable, Great Staff with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The lady who checked is in was ready for us, and was very friendly and professional, getting us into our room quickly.

Not too long ago we were here and the place was darn good, amongst the best around. Well they have been doing a lot of updating and renovating here and it is AWESOME! Great to see the investments being made to make it even better. Greener now with LED lighting, updated bathrooms and generally darn good. A great team of people looking after you, and the only thing that I would do, is make the breakfast area bigger and better. The place was full all the days we were there and the staff do extraordinary work to keep it all moving sweetly. We will be back for sure!

Our stay was sub par. There were dogs fighting in the hallway and others barking for long periods. Additionally, there was some sort of dispute involving LOUD moving of furniture, throwing items against walls, and shouting for nearly two hours from midnight until 2am. We called the front desk to have it addressed, but their response was lacking (They said they'd address it “if they got a chance” and hung up). After the banging noises subsided, loud wretching and vomiting continued for another half hour.

What a nice place. When you first walk in it's very inviting and the staff is very friendly. The check in is fast efficient. The room I stayed in was on the ground floor and was nicely decorated and it was very clean. I was hoping for a top floor room as to not hear heavy footed steps from above but it wasn't an issue here. They offered an continental breakfast that was nice. Their was a Chinese restaurant that shared the parking lot, and had great food. All an all a very nice place to stay.

When requesting the room, one of the staff, (new) was a little intense. However I have been staying here regularly for over 4 years, and the day manager adjusted things for me to get my prefered room. Sausage at breakfast tends to be a little undercooked, other than that you cannot do better.

Beautiful place, excellent service and nice variety for breakfast.They need to have cinnamon rolls more than once a week they are delicious.. Just one complaint. You have go to to a laundry-mat, they have none there.

A comfortable place to stay for the night. Enormous, comfy bed, friendly, helpful staff. The exercise room was small but equipped with a great recumbent bicycle, which is my favorite. I'm disappointed that hotels don't put reading lights by the bed anymore - hey, we're not all glued to the TV! The hot tub was more of a warm tub, the pool looks tiny (it was covered over for the winter, the "hot" tub is available year-round.) Breakfast was OK, served in a windowless basement room (with nice posters to make up for the lack of view.) The staff were very helpful when I needed to print a document for work the following day.

I stayed here for one night, the Customer service is great. The Front desk is polite, and welcoming. They have cookies. The room was Clean, the television was newer with multiple connections available, DVD player was available, a microwave was set up in a cabinet with a nice size refrigerator. The bathroom had toilet paper, toiletries, and clean towels. The room was quite, and smelled clean Continental breakfast was provided in the Lower Level near the conference room. And to be very particular about a negative - hallways smell like cigarettes.

Came for the holidays and needed a place to stay for 1 night til my friend arrived. I chose this hotel because it was rated as one of the best also there were very little options online for hotels in Oak Harbor. Its a standard hotel. Nothing special about it. Didnt have really any issues other than the rooms are very dark even with all the lamps on. 1 lamp did not work tho. Also carbon monoxide detector was near the ceiling. (Not a smoke detector) Which is wrong. Should be lower around the height of a electrical outlet. Breakfast was great. Hot free food. Eggs, Waffles, French toast sticks, sausage, and a bunch of other stuff. Entrance is a bit confusing when using GPS because it told me to go around the back even tho there was a entrance on the main road. This was the cheapest priced hotel that i could find online tho once i got to Oak Harbor and did some exploring i found a bunch more.

Beds were comfy. Good selection of breakfast items. The strawberry and blueberry waffle mix option was very nice but probably should have some plain batter available too for those who don't want a fruity waffle

The best hotel stay on this trip. We had my service dog with us and they welcomed us with no questions asked. Very clean and comfortable hotel, great hot breakfast . Starbucks down the road a few blocks. Good home base for exploring the area. Will defiantly stay here again when in the area. Thanks staff

Reasonably-priced and comfortable accomodations. Minutes from the town center and waterfront and close to the Deception Pass and Anacortes. Polite and professional staff answered all questions cheerully.

A remodel is underway and the results are very good. Helpful, friendly staff. Willing to accommodate late checkout needs. I would stay here again next time I visit Oak Harbor overnight or longer. I recommend this hotel.

It's right on the main road, not close to the water, and has no real view. However, it is easy to get to a variety of other locations, staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was fine.

My husband and I went to Whidbey Island for a mini-vacation. We chose the Best Western at Oak Harbor because we have always had good experiences at Best Western Hotels and my husband enjoys the 5:00 cookies they serve. This Best Western was no different. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and a hearty breakfast made for a wonderful stay.

Overall I was very happy with this hotel. The room had clearly just been renovated, everything was clean, and attention had been taken to the details. Breakfast was included, overall pretty good, and of average quality. I've had better breakfasts, I've had worse breakfasts, but it was sufficient. My only frustration with this hotel were the surprises about the pet policy at check-in. When I booked the hotel, there was no option to specify that you had pets or how many, and no information about costs or limitations, only that there were pet-friendly. I put in the comments that we would have two dogs with us. All of my past experience traveling with our dogs has led me to expect no additional changes, perhaps a deposit returned at checkout. When we checked in, I again mentioned that we had two dogs and asked if they used different rooms for people traveling with pets. She said that they didn't, but they did charge a $15 fee PER PET PER NIGHT to cover the cost of additional cleaning. (They also had a limit of two pets per room - could you imagine if we had three dogs and showed up to learn that we would have to rent two separate rooms and pay an extra $45 / night?!) Had we factored this cost into the nightly rate, we would have selected a different hotel. The staff were super friendly to our dogs and to us and I would otherwise wholeheartedly recommend staying here - they even have lots of grassy places with trees to go out and walk the dogs! And fresh delicious cookies at night! But the bait-and-switch tactic made me frustrated and unlikely return, not to mention that if you travel with pets, you need to add an extra $15-30 / night into the rate when comparing to other hotels. And if you travel with 3+ pets, this place is basically not an option. If you're not traveling with pets, this place is a fabulous option!

Clean hotel and attentive staff. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods. Hotel was very quiet and we went to the restaurant that is on site for dinner. The food was very good and we'll priced. Grounds were clean and attractive.

professional but friendly staff...also kind to our very small elderly dog...clean in all public areas and well maintained outside...the buffet breakfast was a step above most chain hotels..make your own waffle was a big hit. Decent coffee and fresh baked goods. Hotel sits back from Hwy.20 so road noise is at a minimum.

We had to attend a cross country meet for our son so decided to make a weekend of it. Check in was quick and they made our new puppy feel welcome. Fresh hot coffee in the lobby was great and the kids were in the small pool ten minutes later. Of course, nobody else in there apart from them but it was reasonably warm and we enjoyed the hot tub too. Breakfast is included but as it was so busy we carried ours back to our room. It's simple but plentiful and filled us up before hitting some Beaches. Good value for a one night stay away and of course dog friendly too.

Don't be put off by a slightly worn carpet. The service, quality of rooms, the staff, the breakfast, the grounds...all outstanding. I would gladly stay here again. We had a nice relaxing stay, and everyone was very helpful. Big comfortable room, great bed. We just couldn't have been more pleased. It was a last minute reservation and we were accommodated better than expected.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent! The breakfast was much better than normal free breakfasts with a build your own french toast, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs.

We spent two nights at the Best Western Plus. There was a small problem with our room not being ready, but the front desk folks were extremely caring and fixed things quickly. Wife and I were very happy with the results!!! Breakfast was pretty typical fare, but would not eat the 'omlets' again...very very plain. Otherwise a good stay.

Clean room, comfortable bed, nice grounds. The hot tub is a little out dated but still good. Nice restaurant in the parking lot. Breakfast could use some work but the coffee is great! overall a great place to stay in town close to most everything.

We had a nice and relaxing time during our recent 3 day stay in Oak Harbor. The staff, at all levels, were very welcoming and pleasant. Check-in was very fast and we were able to check-in early. The room was very clean and quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was fine and the coffee in the lobby was always fresh. Lastly, the hotel staff were very sweet to our little dog. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a no thrills hotel. Nothing special about it. Free parking, has cookies and apples in lobby. Has ac units in rooms that for some reason during the day they don't run. Had husband check in for us I came in and of course they gave him the first room right off the lobby, which no one wants. I got us moved up stairs. Much quieter. When you walk on the floors it seems like their isn't any padding to cushion the sounds. Door slams in hallway you can hear. They have vending machines on first and second floor not sure about the other floors. Would stay here again, just a little over priced but no other name hotel in the area. Walmart isn't far neither is Starbucks, Taco Bell and Mc Donalds

Carpet was dirty and needed cleaning. Breakfast was sub-par as did not offer enough items such as waffle maker. Eggs were dry and tasteless and not enough food provided. Staff at check out not very knowledgeable

Our first stay in Oak Harbor! The decor is tasteful (unusual in some - who chooses the carpet in some places??) and spotless. It was delightfully quiet even though it was completely sold out the night we were there! I will stay here again and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

This highly rated Best Western Plus was in a convenient location near the center of Oak Harbor. We were in town for the Oak Harbor Music Festival. We spent minimal time at the hotel. We did eat breakfast one morning and we did use the pool and hot tub. As far as comfort, our needs were met. Some improvements that would have improved our stay: Screen on deck door. Coffee Table. More space in the breakfast area. Staff was courteous. Hotel was clean and seemed to be well managed.

This is probably one of the nicest Best Westerns I've stayed at. The room was in great condition and clean. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast options are plentiful: fruit, cereal, yogurt, muffins, toast, bagels, etc and a selection of hot items which were not my taste but others seemed to enjoy. The service was courteous and friendly. I would stay here again.

The Best Western Plus Oak Hotel and Conference Hotel is a good choice, when you are in the area. It is clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but does serve a breakfast, at no additional cost.

This Best Western room was very comfortable, clean, well appointed, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Complementary breakfast was very good.

Angelica Harris in Sales is one of the best. We are in conference rooms throughout the United States 10 months of the year, usually a different hotel every week. We seldom have the type of service we received from Angelica. She was always around to make sure we were well taken care of. We were also very impressed with the housekeeping staff. They were always very friendly. This was one of the few times we spent 2 weeks in the same hotel. We are glad we picked the right place for our longer stay. We plan to return next year.

A modern and a comfortable hotel, on the outskirts of town. It was a very busy weekend (Pig Fest in Oak Harbor, Art Festival in Coupeville, several high school reunions, plus the usual tourists for an August weekend), but the staff helped us to find routes to avoid the traffic jams and to find less-crowded places. The nice facility and the excellent staff are much appreciated.

Oak Harbor was a good stopping point for our trip to Olympic NP. This property was easy to find and close to dining options. It was clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and the added bonus of fresh local berries. Check in and check out was a breeze for this well organized staff. Overall and excellent experience.

The hotel was clean, had a great location, and the staff was incredibly helpful. The lobby was welcoming and cookies and coffee are always a bonus. Breakfast was quick but there was an excellent selection of items to choose from. We'd definitely go back!

This Best Western has it all....pool, hot tub, fitness center, dog friendly, updated rooms, good beds w/extra pillows....etc. The "Continental Breakfast" is a full breakfast and very good! I would totally recommend anyone on Whidbey Island to stay here for a pleasant experience in every way.

I have come to this site for the last several years. I find it friendly, well managed and it has become a favourite for me and the family. I will return. My only quibble is that the internet 'feels' slow but how is that really a bad thing? ;-)

Very good place to stay whether for work or play. Outdoor pool, business computer, fitness room and evening cookies...a good touch. Comfortable rooms and quiet. Only negative is the low energy light bulbs in the room. They are good for mood lights.

I am a long time BW rewards member. I have stayed here before. It has gone downhill completely. It is dirty and has ripped up carpets in the rooms. The bathroom was dirty. Hair and unidentified matter on the back of the toilet. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The kicker was, I always book a king bed for my husband and I. They insisted I booked two queens and that is what we were stuck with. I no longer travel for work. if Idid, i would sleep in the park before paying for a room here. NEVER AGAIN!! Glad I am also a Hilton honors member as I will be using that hotel group a lot more now.

I come to oak harbor often for business and always stay at Best Western. There staff is great and it's a great value for the money. Rooms are spacious and have a refrigerator with freezer section. Gym area could be better but they do have an out door pool.

This is a great hotel, clean and quiet, even with families staying there. Nice pool, great breakfast and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful if you don't know the area. Great value for the price.

The location of this Best Western hotel is very convenient to nearby NAS Whidbey Island and Deception Pass. There is a great Chinese restaurant adjacent to the hotel and many more restaurants within a short drive. The staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. Would definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

We had a very pleasant stay and would return again.We have relatives in the area and this is a great place to stay when we visit them. We will stay again next time we are in the area. Thank you Best Western. We stay at Best Western whenever we can.

Rooms were clean. Very nice staff Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast is typical Best Western breakfast. There is a coffee hut across the street. There is a little grassy space hind the hotel and they have a hot tub.

Family only stayed 1 night to on our way to San Juan Island. Beautiful hotel but plz be aware there's an air base near by w/ many flyovers! Very loud and the staff said would cut off their internet sometimes! Not sure if any other hotels would be better since it's a very small island. However, the service makes up for it. We're a BW reward member but no vacancy so we booked via a 3rd party w/ voucher to present on arrival. Though voucher said 2 dbl beds for 4, our room was actually 1 king bed. The staff called around & made the correction and gave us 2 dbl beds for cheaper price than the voucher! Wifi and breakfast were good, but no self-served laundry (for such a nice hotel) as we just came from 4 days at Olympic National Park.

Exceptional staff. A very comfortable bed. Very nice room with mini frig/micro. Very quiet hallway. Breakfast, and area to eat was very nice. They even offered fresh blueberries! We would absolutely stay here again!

I had read a lot of reviews before we booked.. The elevator was one to my deciding factors. Very Happy we choose this place. It is safe, clean, causal, has a small pool, simple free breakfast. My husband was stationed here years ago in the navy and wanted to share Deception Pass with me.(LOVED the beach area) Whidbey Island as a Whole was a pleasant experience. The hotel is not "fancy" but it was relaxed and friendly. Bed could have been better but could have been worse...The hotel is about 9 miles away from Deception Pass. China City, the restaurant next door was very good. Has a bar with happy hour if you don't want food... Went to Couperville ocean view meal about 40 min away. enjoyed looking around there shops.

This was probably one of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed at -- which was somewhat surprising given they stated they were completely full every night (3) we were there. That was very nice as frequently I hear slamming doors and hallway conversations at all hours of the day and night in most hotels. Room was relatively spacious considering it had 2 queen beds. But the bed mattress was somewhat bouncy so turning over tended to be disturbing to other person. And the staff was pretty much oblivious to guests and there were few interactions or overt attempts by them to be friendly or welcoming, whether at breakfast or when walking in the hallways. More than once there was no staff at the front desk and had to call out to get someone's attention and assistance. And as an elite BW member, I was not identified or recognized as such and had to ask about a "welcome amenity" I was supposed to receive upon check-in. Most hotels bend over backward to be sure to welcome their chain's frequent stayers.

Apparently well run hotel. Beds are great. Room was clean. Chinese restaurant attached has good food. Breakfast included had lots of choice but a bit short on table space for a big crowd. Overall a good experience.

Not the best hotel I've ever stayed, but for the price it was good. Outdoor heated pool and nice open lobby design- part of the 2nd floor hallway is open like a loft above the lobby desk. The continental had a decent spread- obviously not 5* dinning but it works.

Nice, spacious rooms with king bed and couch, very clean. Had a larger-than-mini refrigerator. Great location to Navy base and restaurants. Included breakfast, which was not bad at all. Pool and hot tub were very clean and in great working order. Friendly, helpful staff.

The property was in excellent condition, presentation and service were outstanding. Mr. C. Marshall Smith checked us in and out. He was the most helpful and caring Best Western staffer I've met. He must have noticed VETERAN on my driver's license because he made a point of thanking me for my service.

The Oak Harbour Best Western Plus was a real treat. Very clean, well laid out, new furnishings in a beautiful location. The girl at the front desk was efficient, not overly friendly but got the job done quickly. One thing I missed was our receipt under the door in the morning. Definitely would stay here again.

The rating for this hotel could jump from poor to very good if the front desk staff was trained better. The hotel it self is in a great area. It offers a pool and hot tub, has a great picnic area in the back with bar b q perfect for families. The breakfast area has plenty of seating and a good choice of food. The beds were extremely comfortable. The check in was a disaster. We were using points for one night and cash with travel gift cards (from spring promotion) for second night. We were told upon arriving that she had our reservation for Friday night not Saturday. I had to explain where to look in computer and how one night w/points and one night cash is usually listed separate. It took her forever to find the second night. Then she couldn't figure out how to check us in, She did say she was fairly new. After struggling she told us to come back the next morning to finish process with the day staff. She handed us the door key we went up to the room and they did not work, she forgot to run them. We knew where we were going to eat the second night but wanted to go to something a little less fancy the first night. We asked for a recommendation for local seafood or steak place. We were told NO seafood restaurants in the area. Really it's Whidbey Island. If staff does not know this it would be so easy to put together a cheat sheet behind the front desk of different restaurants in the area. Upon arriving home I always check on line to make sure charges on my card match what is on receipt. To my surprise our first night was charged to our card in full and our points taken from our account. Management did fix it as soon as I called them. Luckily I do this after every stay just in case. It was just very frustrating. The potential is there if the staff was just trained better and had the tools to help them out.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again. A real bargain and exceptionally a great time was had by our party. We would recommend this hotel to all our friends. We were close to everything and the staff was always willing to help with directions.

Lobby was well lighted, clean and staff friendly and courteous. Room near lobby was spaciousand very clean. Bed and pillows appeared new and clean smelling. TV was large for room size with bluray disc player below. Breakfast was included with pre-made omelets, sausage and biscuits and gravy and more. Check out was quick and easy with friendly desk person.

I am very pleased with the hotel! nice sized room. Great amenities. Loved the coffee in the lobby. Great pool and hot tub! could not believe how nice the room was!! Clean is the best!!! will for sure be back anytime I am in the area.

Be very cautious when providing this hotel with your credit card for a reservation, as the manager cannot be trusted. We made reservations here on May 22nd at 5:51am MDT for stay on June 13, 2017 for which we have a written confirmation #187308361. We had a change of travel plans and called about 1pm on that day to cancel the reservation. We were informed by the "manager," Marshal, that they had us arriving the night before and that we were a no-show and they had charged us for that night. He was informed that we had never made a reservation for that night and that we had a written confirmation in hand. He initially said it was not a problem and that he would check into the issue. We were passing through Oak Harbor, so stopped in at the hotel and showed him our written confirmation for the night of the 13th, which he acknowledged, and, again he said he would straighten it out. Fifteen minutes later, Marshal called us to say that he would not refund the charge and that we would have to call Best Western. We called Best Western reservations and we talked with Andrea in customer service and she assigned us case number 170613-3753. Andrea called Marshal, and he would not change his charge and that they could not over ride his bogus charge. She was sympathetic and said she did not blame us for being upset, particularly with our proof of confirmation for a different night. This man is a cheat and has caused a charge to our credit card that is unauthorized and fraudulent. Someone may want to advise Marshal that we have proof of our reservation for a night other than that for which he is attempting to charge us. Of course we are going to deny the charge, and if Marshal continues to place fraudulent charges, we will file criminal charges with the local authorities in Oak Harbor.

We stayed here for a night over Memorial Day weekend and it was a great location! It was only about 10 minutes south of the primary tourist site, the Deception Pass Bridge to allow you to beat the day trippers, at an affordable price. There were restaurants all around, both fast food and stuff more unique to the region. Our room had 2 queens with ample space for both luggage and kids. The onsite amenities includes a small pool and a small “gym” but both served its purpose. The gym had treadmill and bike, plus couple cable machines to allow at least the basic workouts. The best was probably the included breakfast, which had most of what you'd need: bread, waffles, bacon, eggs w/ cheese (why does Best Western always mix in cheese with their scrambled eggs…), yogurt, etc. It got pretty crowded on this holiday weekend in the dining space but there seemed to be always places to sit.

My sister recommended this Best Western. When we first arrived in the afternoon, we were told our room was not ready. The hotel seemed peaceful at that time. When we returned in the evening, it was noisy with kids running around the hotel. I can understand the hotel being busy with it being Memorial Day weekend. I thought the noise will calm down at night time. I was wrong. Our room was near the lobby. Adults and kids shouted in the hallways at least past 10pm. The hotel appeared not to be controlling the noise. We eventually fell asleep. The continental breakfast in the morning was the typical chain hotel breakfast where you do want to eat too much of it. We stayed at better quality hotels on our trip for the same price.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and beautiful grounds. The quality of everything is supurb. Our price was a great value for the room we had, but we were discounted with a group rate. We had a double Queen room on the second floor facing the street (highway 20) for a Friday and a Saturday night stay. The noise level was not really high (the usual slamming doors, footsteps on the ceiling/floor from above and voices in the hall (especially on Saturday) but I did hear some trucks outside, even with the AC on and the TV volume low. If you want it quieter, get a room on the 3rd floor and facing away from the road. There is an outdoor pool and parking lot on that side, so you can't get away with no noise. The beds were nice, the room clean, 2 upholstered chairs and a desk with adjustable chair, enclosed refrigerator/microwave cabinet with an efficient layout. My only complaint in the layout would be there is only the one sink located inside the bathroom, so we had to take turns getting ready in the morning. The morning breakfast was great with hot food (scrabbled eggs and sausage one morning and cheese omelet with bacon the next. They had all the other usual continental breakfast stuff also. If you are looking for waffles though there is none. The mints in the room, a supplied makeup mirror on the bathroom wall and the cookies supplied in the afternoon were great extra touches to emulate a luxury stay.

This hotel was very well maintained, staff was very friendly and welcoming. Had good restful sleep bed was very comfortable with lots of big fluffy pillows. Had a very nice breakfast selection to choose from

This is tucked into a parking lot, but really nice place to stay. The hotel offers free cookies, a heated pool and hot tub and free breakfast. It is about 6 miles south of Deception Pas park. Very nice.

This is a very nice place to stay while on the island. The rooms are very clean and in wonderful condition. The breakfast is good and the staff are friendly. The hotel is within driving distance of all attractions on the island. We stay here whenever we visit.

Stayed here to shorten a long day of travel for business. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the shower had good water pressure! I didn't use the wi-fi but my husband did and it seemed fine. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, a nice thing since I've had some bad experiences with other Best Westerns - if the need ever arises I would stay here again.

Delighted to discover this well kept, clean, quiet hotel in a small town we'd never visited before. Nicely appointed, uncrowded room. Comfy King bed. Breakfast could use some work and no gluten free options. But overall very pleased. Recommended!

Great stay for one night- the breakfast is amazing. Quiet rooms- large and comfortable beds. Our room was a little dirty- hair balls in bathroom and tub was dirty. TV's and cable need to be updated. But overall the kids were happy and the room served its purpose.

I have never stayed here and witnessed any trash or not tidy room or area. Totally satisfied with this hotel. I have stayed numerous times of the year and have recommend it as well. I would return still and would definitely recommend to all.

We were pleasantly surprised at the Best Western Plus in Oak Harbor, WA. Newly redone, the building and appointments were up to date. They have a super area for your pets as well. Clean, large, friendly and comes with breakfast! I'd definitely stay there again, and I've already told my bff about it.

Check in was pretty bad (distracted service), didn't give us any information, just handed us the key with no directions to our room. The pool was out of order. And breakfast was ok. The beds were very comfortable though!

Good prices on the rooms, and excellent service. The breakfast is worth waking up early for, and the walk to eat lunch is a block away. The internet on the island is very bad so getting and keeping it in your room is a little challenge in its own.

This hotel fit our needs exactly! We were in Oak Harbor to see our son and enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good and the staff was accommodating. My children enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and we look forward to the pool opening soon.

This hotel was a great place to stay for a cheap price, tasty continental breakfast, friendly staff and parking. Would recommend this hotel to anyone! There is an outdoor pool which would be great for the summer. Located near restaurants, gas stations, Wal-Mart and anything you could need.

My previous experience at this hotel was not good but I am pleased to write that this time reflected in a total turn-around from the past. Staff were courteous and pleasant. The room was clean, well-appointed, convenient for today's electronics age. The only reason for not rating it a five would be the breakfast. Barely warm and dry eggs, sausage and potatoes and poorly stocked breads, pastry and yoghurt. Seems like an easy fix and hopefully it will happen. I will return when on the island next time.

What else can I say? Clean, quiet, had everything in a very convenient place. Excellent service! I would not hesitate to stay again and recommend it to anyone...including families. And handy to restraints downtown to boot.

Nice and clean. Very easy to find and convenient location. My only complaint would be breakfast.... it has some hot items but it just wasn't very good. I would stay here again though... the staff is very friendly and the rooms are large.

I have traveled to oak harbor in the past for various reasons but this trip I messed up my motel reservation. I was supposed to book 10 days but instead only booked one (yup one) not a great start right. But when I realized this and called the motel the folks were patient and helpful and did some juggling whic allowed me to stay the full trip there. Very nice.

Went to my nephews wedding on Whidbey Island. 1st trip to the island, there was a music festival on the same weekend. Dog friendly hotel, large area to walk the dog, benches & picnic tables to sit & chat. Friendly staff especially after I locked myself out of the room. Breakfast was ok, good restaurant cattycorner to the hotel. Local drivers did yell at my CA license plates to go home.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and were lucky to have a bottom floor room with a sliding glass door to go outside. I am a fan of fresh air whenever I travel and so it was nice to be able to just step outside and take in the nice ocean smelling air. The room was a very good size, clean, and smelled good. I would definitely recommend staying here. My only complaint is that I wish they had an indoor pool; there is only an outdoor one, which we didn't use.

Good hotel for the area. Located on main road, with ample restaurants nearby. The pool and hot tub are open late in the season. Ample parking. Courteous front desk staff. The breakfast needs more than the western omelets, though. Regular scrambled eggs would be nice sometimes. Well maintained public areas and rooms.

Ive stayed at this hotel a couple times now and I think they deserve a review. I will always book best western when staying in the city. They always accommodate me with my endless needs. Breakfast is my favorite part of the stay, oatmeal is one of my favorites and their coffee is always great.

Very professional and helpful staff. All amenities of more expensive hotels with a better value. Close proximity to all parts of Oak Harbor. If you are looking at other hotels even if they are priced a little lower this will be the best value for your dollar.

Pleasant comfortable room with space for labradoodle antics. A bit gloomy interior - too little wattage in the lighting. Nothing extraordinaryl for dog-walking explorations unless you drive to the harbour area.

Nice lobby, lovely and spacious room, quiet, comfortable bed. I booked this room even though I live in Oak Harbor because of the serious wind storm. We live in a forested area and falling limbs kept me awake at night and we had lost power. I wanted to work during the evening and morning and get some sleep at night. All was wonderful except the internet ceased working in the morning, but I still accomplished what I needed.

The Best Western is a great option for Whidbey Island travel. Close enough to beach and also to restaurants. This hotel situates you on the North end of the island with an easy trip to Coupeville which is a must see. If you are familiar with Best Westerns you will not be disappointed. While it is not beach front is easy access to the main beach in Oak Harbour. Everything is close to this hotel.

Visiting Deception pass and Whidbey island. The hotel is clean with convenient location to the island. Family oriented with pool. Good continental breakfast for the family. Also had coffee, fruits and snacks readily available in the lobby area. Reasonably priced. Nothing to complain about. Good Best Western standard.

Loved the place. Won several yearly awards for the best place to stay in Oak Park, WA. Actually stayed an extra day because they made it so nice for us. Besides, the evening cookies are great! Friendly, clean, great breakfast, comfortable, accommodating!! Highly recommend. That says it succinctly.

This hotel is very nice, staff was very accommodating, facility is well looked after. They could have more info about the breakfast. Had to ask where and when it was served but it was very good once we found it.

Only problem with the hotel was they need better maintenance for the pool/hot tub . Upon arrival the hotel staff was very friendly and quickly got us in to our room even though we were an hour early. Our room was immaculate and a lot larger then we were expecting for a double room.

We found this hotel to be perfect for our needs. It's clean, renovated and modern, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. It's a good location and a nice place to stay.

If you want to be sure you are not left in the lurch, book only through TripAdvisor. They are a really good resource in the event that you have a dispute for a paid in advance booking with no cancellation, or any other issues you may run in to. Book through TripAdvisor, and you can have confidence someone will have your back should you need help. They have been a real asset this trip. The room was very nice. The housekeepers did a great job! There wasn't anything that wasn't very clean and inviting in the room. Great job to them! On the other hand, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I would not stay at this hotel again,based on that, because service is part of what we buy into when we decide where to spend time away and relax, or celebrate our special occasions. I also don't feel the town of Oak Harbor is a very romantic place to spend time. We decided to try this place because of location to other areas we wanted to be central to. Never again.

As you may notice in your travels, just because a Hotel Chain has a certain Brand association, the standards can vary from location to location. Best Western Plus Harbor Plaza in Oak Harbor Washington has set a High Bar for Best Western Franchises ... Easy friendly check in ... Clean well appointed rooms Front desk very accommodating.. ( We added a night to our stay and the evening person worked hard to ensure we did not have to switch rooms... even though they were quite full ) Lots of parking, complimentary newspapers, cookies and breakfast included. Close to many good restaurants.. and shopping We will not hesitate to return here on future trips.. A no stress no negatives clean reasonably priced stay.... If you have Airmiles ... it can be "free"

The lobby has fresh coffee and in-house baked cookies. The room was very clean and looked like the furnishings were new. The lobby staff were friendly and helpful, especially Amanda. She went out of her way to help us diagnose a cell phone problem. The breakfast was very good with many delicious choices and everything was constantly replenished. The motel is on the main road through town, yet we never heard any traffic.

Clean, easy checkin & checkout, comfortable, good group rate, good hot breakfast. Quiet a/c and nice beds and linen, well equipped and stocked bathroom. Only downside was noise from overhead and adjacent rooms - thin walls and floors. Take earplugs. Otherwise, a good Best Western.

Not a stellar experience staying here. Room size good and appreciated the full length mirror on back of bathroom door. Beds/pillows not comfortable. Bathroom faucet wouldn't run hot water. Room cleaning was sub-par. Toilet paper not replaced and beds not really made. Staff encountered were friendly. Breakfast room ran out of some foods/coffee a half hour before breakfast was to end. Good food choices. For those who are gluten-free, there's boiled eggs and yogurt and fresh berries. If I were traveling in the area again I'd probably try a different hotel.

We stayed two nights while attending a wedding on Whidbey Island last weekend. Check in was simple and quick, the one elevator was adequate, and the room was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing really bad either. We has just stayed in a Hilton extended stay motel in Lynnwood, and may have become a little jaded with what they offered. Things like a social hour in the evening with snacks, beer and wine, elongated stools, lever handles on all doors, massive indoor pool, and a gianormous breakfast fare. All at about the same cost as here. The breakfast here certainly was decent, and I did enjoy it for two mornings. The rooms were clean, if slightly dated, and we didn't have a complaint on them. All in all, a favorable experience, but not quite a memorable one!

A better Best Western, attractive and clean, good staff who were on top of things. Breakfast had more offerings and fresh choices that I had seen at other BW hotels. Unfortunately during our one night stay quite a few rude guests slammed doors, ran in the hallway and yelled after 10 PM and again early in the AM. It was more than one guest/room.This is not typical of BW hotels, which I have found to be usually quiet. I think it was probably just bad luck the night we stayed. But resulted in little sleep.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at the Best Western in Oak Harbor and every time they've been wonderful at accommodating us for our little guy. Super nice staff and will be the only place we stay in Oak Harbor!

Good clean rooms, great service and real nice breakfast. Bed is very comfortable and WiFi is easily accessible. Love the in room coffee but there is always coffee by the front desk as well. Love the cookies in the evening to satisfy a sweet tooth.

Very friendly staff waiting to check in and out. Clean room, comfortable bed, tub/toilet separate from sink which is handy. Ok breakfast, coffee and cookies in the evening. Only thing that marred our stay was the loud TV noise next door. It was on all night and apparently who ever stayed in the room was either gone or an inconsiderate jerk. When I finally called the front desk at 6 am the friendly clerk said she could hear it from the hallway but the guest did not respond to her calls or knocking on the door. On check out the desk clerk was very apologetic. Other than that we had a pleasant one night stay.

Very quite and comfortable in a nice are of town. Our purpose is traveling there was to avoid the Interstate I 5, and to go over the beautiful Decepetion Pass bride. This trip took one hour compared with three on I5.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. We had a non smoking room with 2 double/ queen beds. The room has a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Breakfast coveted the basics and set us up for the day. Coffee, cookies. And apples are available in the foyer this is a nice touch.

Our best way to check a motel room to make sure it's clean is to check the grout in the bathroom. The BW's bathroom grout hasn't been cleaned in years. If a property pays attention and keeps rooms clean and fresh they pay attention to everything.

Attended a naval reunion at this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. No major snafus and the hotel was kept clean. Only drawback (minor) is that they didn't have the breakfast buffet that other hotels may have (not as much of a selection).

I try to stay at Best Western because they provide usually a good quality and good value experiance. My last stay was an exception. I may be too judgemental here but there was a convention/reunion staying at the place and they were wall to wall at breakfast. One if my favorite things about Best Western is the breakfast and when I can't even get into the room where the food is served from 6:30 in the morning until 9:00 or so when they close, I get irritated. I was going to stay 5 nights but cut it short. I don't know what the hotel could have done differently except perhaps to provide a room for these folks to have their coffee and chat other than in the hallway outside the breakfast room.

I look forward to staying at the Best Western in Oak Harbor. I stay there about once a month. Everything is clean, comfortable, amenable, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. But since it's the best game in town, I recommend reservations in advance. When I was there, it was sold out.

Clean, quiet room. Very spacious. The windows are left open in the hallways which allows the heat to pour in. It was 90 degrees that weekend, so it would have been a better choice to leave the windows shut. Staff is pleasant.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on a recent trip. We intended to stay one night, but extended our stay for a second night. We liked the fact that we had a ground floor room with a sliding door to the outside. The best part of staying at this hotel was a nice young lady named Joann. She extremely pleasant and exceptionally helpful! She was the nicest person we met at any of the hotels we stayed at.

Very nice stay at this hotel, staff was friendly and courteous. Knowledgeable in the local area, provided maps and suggestion. Eager to assist. Had three rooms, one ADA. As requested at booking that all three be as close as possible. They were able to provide three rooms next to each other, can't get much closer than that. Very comforting to know that ADA assistance could be provided quickly because of the close proximity of the rooms. Would stay here again or book Best Western in other areas

We choose to stay at Best Westerns plus or Premiums as we consistently get good value for the dollar spent. If we know in advance where we are going to be we use the reservation line. If we don't we have a list of Best Westerns Hotels in the cities we are going to be driving through on our road trips, so we can always manage to find one.

stayed here for one night prior to taking the ferry to Orcas Island. hotel was clean, quiet, well equipped and staff helpful & friendly. buffet breakfast was scrumptious! parking was free. driving to the hotel took longer than expected as hotel was located further than we thought, but it was all wortht the ride!

This hotel is located within minutes of the harbor, naval air station, restaurants and the numerous parks on Whidbey Island. Check-in went smoothly and we were soon situated in a room with a king-size bed, couch, mini frig, microwave, chest of drawers and table with chairs. The bathroom had a good size vanity, something we did not find at several other chain hotels we visited on this trip. The complimentary breakfast served each morning featured eggs, potatoes, sausage etc. We found the staff uniformly friendly. I will more than likely book this hotel again should we return to this area.

My extended family and I visited this BW for 2 nights. The purpose of our visit was sightseeing in various state parks. We were able to book adjoining rooms. The rooms were clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool after a long day's sightseeing and hiking. Breakfast was typical BW. It seems the hot items change daily. One day we got eggs and potatoes, the next day (unfortunately) biscuits and gravy. There's plenty to chose from. This was a wonderful visit!

We were in Coupeville for the birth of our new grandson, and when things were moving along slower than expected, we decided to try to book a hotel room so we could get some sleep. The Best Western in Oak Harbor had one room available which we gratefully took. It was a super nice suite room with a large comfortable king bed. There was a complimentary continental breakfast in the morning as well. We were very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel. We had an all too brief stay, but we would gladly stay here again.

This Best Western hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Whidbey Island. Deception Pass and the Deception Pass State Park is located just north of the hotel. Lots to see and do on Whidbey Island and this hotel is a great place from which one can have access to other sights and activities on Whidbey Island.

My family and I had a 2 day stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Location was also great, it was close to many things including a restaurant called China City right in the same lot as the hotel. We were able to walk there for diner on our first night. We also thoroughly enjoyed the use of the pool and hot tub. I was happy to soak in the warm water until 10 pm. We also were very happy with the breakfast spread. The first morning we had scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage and french toast. The coffee was great and there were many other options to choose from. The second morning they offered biscuits and gravy, bacon, and cheese omelets. I only have a few complaints to mention... 1. The bathroom had a strong mildew smell. We called housekeeping and they came right away to replace the shower curtain and that solved the problem. 2. The pool and hot tub both need some maintenance. The ladder to the pool is very wobbly and lifts out of the cement as well as the handrails for the hot tub. Other than these two things I just mentioned we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

We had recently stayed at this hotel and wanted to make sure we got a room for our return visit. We had our grandson with us and the staff was very understanding while we checked in with a 3 year old who wanted multiple cookies. (They are fantastic) The rooms are clean and very sound proof. The pool is very warm and clean, as is the hot tub. We are very comfortable in this hotel.

This hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. The best part of this hotel was the location. We enjoyed going out to Deception state park, walking on the beach and watching the fighter jets land at the naval air base..we will never forget it.

Stayed for 3 days before trip to San Juan Islands. Nice pool, Jacuzzi and picnic area. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Nice location close to shops and restaurants. We will be returning next year. Breakfast was decent. Good variety

Except for the beds, we were relatively pleased with our stay here, but would not stay again because of the hard beds. I could cite a few minor issues but they are not deal breakers for anyone thinking of staying here. It is clean and adequate for a one night stopover, especially if you are used to 2 star lodging; don't expect more than that, however. We woke up with aches and pains after tossing and turning all night on those concrete platforms they call beds. Those of you who recall your stay in the former Soviet-era Gulag will be quite comfortable on these beds.

but, breakfast is below average for a Best Western, the internet was slow and it would have been helpful to have a laundry facility to wash clothes. The pool was small but was sufficient. It was great to have a dvd collection to choose family movies from.

Honestly to go in to detail about my experience is painful and upsetting as romantic weekend ended with my wife and I sleeping in the hotel parking lot as the staff kicked us out due to a domestic disturbance in the suite next to us.

Large room, very large fridge, bed was OK, internet good, TV was awful 3 remotes not instructions, channel guide incorrect. Coffee filters not cleaned coffee pkts. not replaced, kleenex not replaced, front desk not too with it re. phone services.

After a weary trip to wonderful Whidbey Island we arrived to a super looking facility. However when checking in and several times later when we were in the Lobby the clerks were nowhere to be seen and at breakfast the staff seemed to be having a tough time (there was also no syrup for the great tasting French toast sticks and no salsa or ketchup we could find.) The rooms and facilities were very pleasant, but the staff seemed to be having a trying time, I guess it can happen, I'd be willing to give them another try.

First of all the hotel is beautiful and the staff is so welcoming and polite and eager to help you at all time of day and night. I stayed here two times over the July 4th week. The first stay was Saturday-Monday and we got in fairly late after a 16 hour drive and the staff was still happy to assist us even though it was late evening. They already had the pack and play in the room for my daughter which was really convenient for me. The room was beautiful and the view off the balcony was really nice to because it's so beautiful in Washington nothing but green trees everywhere. The second stay was Tuesday through Saturday but I only had reservations till Friday. Everything was wonderful with that we have the breakfast a couple of days which consisted of biscuits gravy eggs bacon oatmeal cereal yogurt with fresh blueberries granola strawberries they had bagels and muffins and waffles a few juices coffee and tea it was wonderful and by the time we went to go check out on Friday we decided that we would rather stay one more night then crashing at my brothers house and even though they were foremost capacity they still found a way for us to stay in the same room so we didn't even have to move I would highly recommend staying with them it was a wonderful hotel with wonderful stuff on a beautiful island

I reserved a two queen-bed room to travel with my sister. I was "upgraded" to a suite with one king bed and a fold out couch without them contacting me ahead of time. We did not want to sleep together (which was why I ordered a two-bed room). The hotel was fully booked and the hotels nearby were also fully booked so they couldn't do anything about it. I slept on the pull out bed. It was very slanted, bumpy, and extremely uncomfortable. The "suite" was actually a regular room that they took a bed out of and put a beat-up looking couch and chair into. There was also only one staff person there for a large sold out hotel. It took an hour for her to get a break enough to come and make up the couch for us. They only offered me a 10% discount, which doesn't seem fair since they gave me 50% of the beds I paid for. I will not be back.

I enjoy staying at Best western Hotels> I find them clean and comfortable. Great hotel. Friendly staff - provided excellent tips for dining. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. Much nicer than other BW hotels where I have stayed. Breakfast room was nice and clean and offered a reasonable selection. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Great rooms, comfortable beds and good facilities. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Been coming here for many years and the breakfast is still average. So many of the BW hotels serve the usual Best Western style breakfast and it is so much better in some locations. This is one simple way to get the rating here to AWESOME.

Extremely helpful staff, especially the front desk folks who went all out to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was OK, but not great. Fresh blueberries were welcome. Good location not far from the old city center on the harbor. My main criticism is for the bed, which was way too hard for these old joints. Would suggest they add a foam topper like other Best Westerns have. And the Internet connection on the lobby computers is way too slow. Overall, though, the room was clean and comfortable.

This hotel is clean, easy to find, and has helpful staff. The bed was a bit hard, but comfortable. The continental breakfast had good food and a large variety. Eggs and french toast were hot. I would stay there again without pause!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Really nice staff. Enjoyed the pool and fitness room. Breakfast was average. Had an enjoyable time and plan to stay here again when in town. There are some great restaurant choices. We had Chinese and Mexican delivered to our room.

Stayed from June 3 to June 13, visiting our son who is in the Navy. Nice hotel, very clean and the staff were very friendly. Can't beat the breakfast. We went out one morning to a local diner and paid $35 for a breakfast that wasn't any better. We will be staying here the next time we visit.

We spent one night in Oak Bay at the Best Western Plus and found staff extremely helpful and the amenities and room exactly what we needed. We took advantage of a CAA discount to reduce our overall cost.

Oak Harbor is a place we enjoy visiting on a regular basis for the live performances at the Whidbey Island Playhouse and walking along the docks and shoreline. The Best Western hotel in Oak Harbor is the nicest hotel in the area, with good amenities, helpful staff, and quality, clean rooms. They even have cookies in the evening.

Great room, great breakfast, and decent service one slight delay at booking in but otherwise no complaints. Parking available for our boat on trailer attached to the car. Second time here and we will be back when in Oak Harbor.

We only stayed one night, but it was a great stay nonetheless. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was that it was pet friendly. Our ground floor room was clean, quiet and had comfortable beds. The fresh baked cookies in the evening were a nice treat. We didn't use the outside pool or hot tub but it did look nice. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of variety (omelettes, biscuits/gravy, cereal, muffins, oatmeal, toast, etc.). We would definitely stay here again. The location is at the north end of town but there are a few restaurants within walking distance. A very good base to explore Whidbey Island.

Easy off the hwy. Check in went well, he was friendly, recommended several dining options nearby. Room was typical of Best Western, fronted the hwy but we did not hear the traffic at all. Pool looked nice, it was busy on the hot evening we were there. Parking was good, continental breakfast was typical of BW. Would stay again if in the area.

This place is spotless, has great rooms and beds, a nice little pool and hot tub. It also is in a training zone for jets to learn to land on aircraft carriers. When they fly it is very very loud even in the room with the window shut. So if you need quiet this is not your spot. They stopped at 10 P.M. so we slept well. The breakfast is unusually good for hotel food!

My sister-in-law and I stayed at the Best Western in April for a friends wedding that was in Oak Harbor. The lobby was nicely furnished and had fresh cookies and fruit to offer. We had a first floor room that was clean and had comfortable beds. The bathroom is a little small, but it served its purpose. The continental breakfast was not the greatest, but it was free. We did use the hot tub one afternoon and it was nice.

We spent a couple of nights in Oak Harbor, WA. We were going to a graduation of our Son on the Naval Station on Widbey Island. This Best Western Plus is just a few miles away from the base. We love the plus, meaning we can get breakfast in the morning. They offer a nice assortment of cold and hot food items to get you started on your way. We are Best Western rewards members. We like the Best Western Hotels, they don't disappoint. Clean, comfortable and affordable. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Once again, had a great stay.

The Best Western Hotel in Oak Harbor could easily be a model for other hotels. There is attention to detail. The staff is first class! The room was good sized, very clean and very comfortable. The location is excellent for many activities in the area.

My wife and I stayed here on our visit to Whidbey Island. The room was very nice and clean. The bed and furnishings were excellent. The hot breakfast was very nice. We will definitely stay here when we return this summer.

Spent two days here and enjoyed going out and exploring the Island. Every thing was fine nice breakfast. Normal free breakfast. Only disappointed it did not have a laundry. there is a restaurant right in the same parking lot, we did not eat there because we found a great place down the street and ate there every day.. Seabolt best sea food around.. I would stay at this BW again.. good location and good service.

I was looking for accommodations in Oak Harbor which would take pets. This was perfect. Rates were good, very clean, friendly staff, great continental breakfast options, lots of grassy areas for the dog.

We attended the Penns Cove Water Festival and stayed at the Best Western in Oak Harbor. We have stayed here in the past and like it's location to the rest of Whidbey Island as well as places to eat. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is friendly and responsive. Our only issue is that the rooms are showing their age, and could do with a sprucing up, especially the bathrooms.

I have stayed at the Oak Harbor Best Western 3 times in the last year and each time I have been highly satisfied. I go to Oak Harbor to visit family so I do not spend a lot of time in the hotel but I do very much appreciate the quiet when I come in at night and the breakfast in the morning is a great way to start the day. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bed is a little to firm for my comfort but that is the only thing I can find to complain about. The staff are very friendly. I know I will stay there again.

My aunt and I spent 2 nights here for our semi-annual girls' shopping trip. We were very happy with our room and the amenities. The motel has an exceptional breakfast buffet with different items on our 2 mornings, including eggs, sausages, bacon, biscuits and gravy, as well as the traditional oatmeal, cold cereal, toast, bagels, waffles, etc. They also have free newspapers and snacks in the lobby - cookies and a fruit bowl. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The motel is conveniently located to move around Whidbey Island - it is midway between Anacortes and Coupeville and only a short distance to LaConner. We would definitely stay there again.

The staff was very helpful and attentive. The rooms were as advertised and were clean and well appointed. The overall hotel is very clean and quiet. The breakfast was better than expected. It had biscuits and gravy one morning with omelets. The other morning was French toast, sausages, and scrambled eggs. In addition, each morning they had oatmeal, cereal, breads, yogurt, yogurt toppings, etc. It was a nice surprise. I would stay again.

Passing through Oak Harbor we just needed a place to stay. For the price, comfort and amenities this place wins.. clean, comfortable room with a decent breakfast Other places we checked could not hold a candle to this Best Western

We just had a quick overnight stay at this hotel but the room was spotless and the bed and pillows comfortable. The room has many plugs for all your electronics and good Wi-Fi. We did not have breakfast as we left very early to catch the ferry to Port Townsend. Lots of parking in front of the hotel and a Chinese restaurant right next door. Close to shopping and other restaurant choices. Lovely pool setting.

Looking forward to this review. We spent 19 nights at this site. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Midway through our stay the Hotel allowed us to upgrade to a more suitable room based on our length of stay - especially nice since we were traveling with our pet dog. The pet area was perfect - should be mowed more often. The complimentary breakfast was well done - should add waffle maker and more choices through out the week. Thanks Oak Harbor staff for making our stay pleasant.

The Best Western Plus Harbor Plaza and Conference Centre in Oak Harbor is a good hotel and an example of what the ‘Plus' in the Best Western chain should mean. What is more, when we were there in May 2016, the cost was very reasonable. I asked them what the rates were in the busier season in July and found that it was not much more. It is a great location. You can easily access the areas of interest all around. Anacortes 30 minutes to the north, Coupeville 20 minutes to the south, lots of beaches nearby for walking and exploring, and La Conner 25 minutes to the north-east. The hotel is very clean and the grounds around it are lovely. The staff was very pleasant and helpful when needed. Parking is ample. The hotel has a pool and a well outfitted exercise room, neither of which we used just because of our own interests and other plans. The rooms are very well appointed, again, in line with the Best Western Plus standards. The construction of the building is all wood, so if you have noisy neighbours you're going to be completely aware of them. The floors are wood construction as well, so you will hear people walking above you. All that is, of course, a function of how thoughtful your neighbours are and not something that is a fault of the hotel. In our case, we had extremely pleasant and considerate neighbours so there was no problem. The internet worked very well. We could easily watch streaming video, which is not always possible in hotels. The breakfast was the Best Western Plus standard. The breakfast location is in the conference centre downstairs and was a nice place to sit and eat. I tend to stick to the dry cereal, toast, and yogurt as I find the sausage and eggs to be a bit made of rather undefined produce. Regardless, the breakfast was fine. I do wish they would offer a dry cereal that wasn't so full of sugar as the ones they have. There are some raisin brans that would satisfy this. This Best Western was no different than others in the US. I did find the dry cereals in Best Western in Canada were not always so heavily sweetened. It would be nice to have a gluten free cereal offered complete with almond milk. The quick oats offered cannot be guaranteed to be gluten free. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we are in the area. Our stay was very pleasant.

The hotel had a nice exterior. Nothing over the top and the staff was average. Good value for the area. The pool and hot tub close early, as an adult I would of liked to have a dip after 10pm. Good staff, average food, extra hotel tax that I was uninformed of was a disappointment.

There was a lot more to see on Whidbey Island than expected, and we ended up spending 3 days there. The hotel is well-situated to explore both north and south. Our room was at the back and quiet - no traffic noise. Hot breakfast was a good setup for the day, and staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee is available in the lobby all day, with cookies in the afternoon - yum! Day 1 - ferry from Mukilteo to Clinton and explored the south half of the island, including some lovely wineries. Day 2 - drove north to Deception Pass and spent a couple of hours viewing it from the beach, the bridge and the other side. Then headed to Fidalgo Island and Anacortes; explored the town, and checked parking available for the San Juan Islands ferry. Day 3 - decided to see the middle of Whidbey Island. Fort Casey State Park (huge area, great picnic spot and views, lighthouse). Coupeville is lovely (superb ice creams, $3 for 3 scoops). Ebey's Landing state Park - good views from old gun location. Day 4 - explored Oak Harbor, drove up Mt Erie on Fidalgo Island - great views to the south from a lookout less than 50 yards from the car park at the top; the path is not signposted, but is near the phone tower.

This hotel was very easy to find. Park lot was full when we first got there because there is a restaurant in the same parking lot. So we just parked at the front door to unload our luggage. We were greeted by a very nice lady. She checked us in quickly and pointed us in the direction of our room. Our room had a musty smell when we first walked in, but we opened up the slider door and that helped. We were priced with a wifi code but the signal wasn't very strong in our room. The room was large with a couch and king bed in the room. the bathroom was a little small but got the job done. We ate breakfast down stairs in the morning. They had a good selection of food. And plenty of places to sit down and eat. Over all this was a very nice hotel. Its an older hotel but it was well kept.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights to visit family in the area. From the time I made the reservation to the time of check-out, ALL of the staff at this motel were friendly and helpful. I call it a motel because there is no official restaurant attached. Breakfast is complimentary, and unusually good for a free breakfast. The lovely woman who was working kept everything fresh and restocked. I was impressed! We oddly enough had booked our room for the same days that some old friends had as well (small world)! So we sat out by the pool one night while their kids had a fabulous time in the heated pool and jacuzzi. Our room had a mini fridge and a king bed. What I enjoyed most was that it had a "mini balcony" as well. Honestly, the only negative to this motel for me personally, I found the bed a little on the stiff side. On the Plus side would be that it's close to everything in Oak Harbor, friendly staff, clean rooms and a good free breakfast.

Have stayed here many times and it has always been great. The rooms are very comfortable. The bed comfort is excellent. The Internet was great with excellent signal strength. They always have an excellent breakfast with a nice variety of items to choose from. Will definitely return.

Nice accommodations. We were there one night, because my husband ran the Whidbey Island Marathon the next day, April 16. The race shuttle picked him up at the front door, and that was a great plus. The rest of the week-end was spent with friends in Langley.

We stay here for business and pleasure whenever we are in the area. King Size room was nicely laid out, bed, sofa, chair all excellent condition and comfort. Staff was great, we hit there when the annual marathon was scheduled and at first we were worried about getting where we needed to go on the local streets. No worries, the hotel had maps of the route and alternate roads for vehicle traffic, not to mention extra safety pins on the front counter for marathon participants. Love this place

I booked a King Room for an overnight Saturday stay. Check in was a breeze and parking was plentiful. My room overlooked the pool and area out back and it was a beautiful weekend so the sunset was amazing. The sliding doors opened, which was a pleasant surprise, so I was able to enjoy fresh air and a breeze. The noise from the pool was not too bad with the doors closed. The room was very clean and did not smell, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast served was okay, pretty standard fare, nothing fantastic. The area was so small and cramped, it was hard to get around with the people and tables in there. That was the biggest issue overall with the breakfast.

Great, friendly staff. Very accommodating with late check-ins. Rooms are average, but the best option for chain hotels in Oak Harbor, WA. My only complaint was the continental breakfast, limited options and quality of food was below par. I chose cereal over hot items on day 2 and 3 of my stay. Overall, great place to stay, no issues with cleanliness, very tidy.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We were there during a family crisis and ended up with 5 rooms and multiple days. The hotel worked with us on everything we needed. The breakfast was good and an added plus. Will definitely stay with them again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the large size of the room. The bed was very comfortable and there was a couch and coffee table positioned in front of the TV which made it much easier for viewing. This was our first visit to Oak Harbor so we weren't familiar with the area, so we were relieved that the hotel was easy to spot just as we drove into town. We would definitely stay there again.

You can either drive or take the ferry to Oak Harbor. The Hotel is close to the center of town, there are restaurants and coffee shops nearby. If you need to rent a car there is an enterprise rent-a-car a few blocks away. You are just a few miles away from the Naval Air Station and the spectacular views of deception pass. The nearby beaches and lakes offer lots of recreational opportunities including kayaking & whale watching. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There is Wi-Fi and the lobby has two desktop computers and a printer. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I had a room in the back of the hotel which gave me a view of the town and snow clad mountains. I would stay here again.

There is not a lot of competition. Only 4 hotels in this tiny town, so they could easily do a half-baked job and still make a ton on money because of the lack of competition and the sprawling military base a mile away. But they have a great hotel here. Well maintained, clean and modern with all the expected amenities. The complimentary fresh cookies in the lobby at 5 pm each day is a nice perk too.

We own a business in town but commute from a distance and we always stay here when we are too tired to drive home. Ashlie the manager is so professional and kind and her staff are consistently friendly. This hotel is beautiful inside, rooms are immaculate and very quiet! They always accommodate us even at the last minute. We would recommend staying there to anyone visiting Oak Harbor. It's definitely one of the BEST hotels in the area! Thank you for always making us feel welcome!

Stay is for business and usually there weekly. Many other workers and military and military families stay there as well. Very quiet hotel. Breakfast has decent selection considering it is free. And provide to-go breakfast bags as option. Breakfast server always pleasant and keeps area stocked and clean.

The room was comfortable, easy to access, quiet even through a 65 MPH wind storm, and comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and are going back for another 2 nights! Breakfast was excellent; service desk excellent.

Located on Hwy 20, it was easy to find. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. I was greeted by friendly staff who were quite cordial. The overall ambiance of the hotel was quiet and well run. Housekeeping left me alone (by my request) and were friendly when I did bump into them in the halls. The breakfasts were very good, with a great variety of choices. Each day they had a different main dish. Monday was scrambled eggs and sausage; Tuesday was Omlettes and bacon; and so on. This was accompanied by excellent coffee, juice, and side dishes. The only drawback was the fact that the pool is outdoors, so it was not in service the week I was there. The hot tub is also outdoors, and I decided not to use it, since it was a bit cool and rainy during my stay. I wish these had been indoor, as I was looking forward to a little swim time during my trip.

Very nice and clean Hotel. The rooms were very clean and I had everything I needed in a room when I travel for work. I would have used the hot tub but I did not bring my shorts. The breakfast was hot and had many food options. Thanks, Best Western

I stayed in Best Western for a very short stay and it was a good choice. The hotel was very neat and well maintained. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was excellent - there is nothing more to ask for within this price range. I will be back again!

Very comfortable room, good hot breakfast, slow WIFI, parking lot a little dark and great staff from check in, out to super room staff. On my first day accidently left envelope on desk with cash in side. Three hour later realized I did this returned to room which was already serviced and envelope was still there and cash in side. All the bad stuff you hear on TV and Internet went out the window with this one hotel staff member Thank you.

Friendly, helpful staff in general. Standard American hotel rooms. Nice to have basic toiletries, a microwave, and small refrigerator available in the rooms, and a small fitness room. Good freshly baked cookies, apples, and coffee in the lobby. Not the best, however, for noise proofing, which you can hear from the next room and hallways sometimes.

Everything in the room appeared to be BRAND NEW! All of the countertops...bathroom, tables, etc...have granite surfaces. All of the desk and lamps have LED lighting. The HVAC system worked very well...adjusting the temperatures perfectly.

I never write reviews for anything, good or bad but I thought the staff here needed a quick mention. I was in town visiting family and our son was tired from the car ride. We got to oak harbor and the front desk associate was nice enough to let us in a bit early so our little guy could get in a nap. Also at breakfast the lady helping out befriended our son and was really sweet. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. Btw great continental breakfast too!

We went to see family in Oak Harbor for a few days and needed a hotel. We stayed at others before but wasn't pleased. Decided to try Best Western and now we have the hotel well stay at when in the area. The room was great, the staff very friendly and a complete breakfast instead of just a muffin.

When I travel I try and stay at a Best Western I have always find that I have a good experience with no surprises. Breakfast could have been hotter and parking lot was a little dark. Staff was very friendly and room comfortable.

This is a typical average motel.. I would have liked a thicker pad between the matress and sheets, but other than that the bed was nice and the room was clean. My major issue was the noise from above. I could hear every footstep of the person who was staying above me. If you stay here, you should ask for a room on the third floor so that you won't have to deal with that. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of options. The lady attending the breakfast area was very nice and accomodating. The free wi-fi is a nice perk as well.

Nice hotel good location.. clean rooms.. good beds.. lots of parking .. felt safe at night there.. bad breakfast.. always hot good coffee in the lobby.. employees were nice a helpful.. clean inside and out.. nice area for our service dog to walk..

We came in late and I forgot my government ID and the front desk clerk was super friendly about it and still honored the discount. The room was chilly when we arrived but it warmed up quickly and was very comfortable. The beds were a LITTLE hard (not much), but the pillows were fluffy and abundant. The hot tub was fun for my kids, and the breakfast really offered a lot in a very clean breakfast area with a nice QUIET television.

Clean friendly and convenient for seeing the island. The continental breakfast was very good. Easy to find with lots of restaurants around. The only disadvantage was the small bed. Make sure you verify if you want a king or queen.

I've stayed here a couple times on business trips. Have had no issues. Just seems to be a well run hotel. Some hotels constructed around the same time really show their age and neglect - but not this one. Nothing too fancy, but everything works, is clean and functional. Bed mattress and covers are comfy. TV and internet WiFi work well. Used the small heated outdoor swimming pool one evening and really was nice for relaxing. Make sure you bring your swimming suit. Last trip, I even had an owl hooting outside my window for up to an hour - a nice touch of nature! Some of the ground room floors are partially sunken under the ground and may have a slightly musty odor - would opt for the 2nd floor if you have a chance. The breakfast is good - lots of offerings, not just a bunch of empty carbs. I'll be back.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was very accommodating and upgraded our room as a Diamond member. The hotel is close to quite a few restaurants, one is on the premises although we did not dine there. Highly recommend this hotel for those traveling.

Best Western always delivers and the Oak Harbor branch continued in this vein. Solid and wonderful place to stay for a family friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was great and the staff were helpful with anything you need.

This hotel is clean and comfortable with a nice pool and hot tub. The main drawback was the lack of sound proofing between the rooms. We awoke at 5:30am to people conversing next door and it sounded like they were in our room! When I asked the front desk person for a quieter room for the next night I was given the option of paying about $50 more per night for the top floor or a room down the hall but no guarantees that it would be quieter. As there were many empty rooms available ( mid week, low season), I wonder why the rooms are filled side by side. The desk clerk didn't seem that sympathetic and so we decided not to stay the next night.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Best Western hotels always have good beds and lots of pillows! It's also very nice to have a full breakfast provided by a friendly staff. My only criticism is that the walls are very poorly insulated - we could hear every conversation in the next room.

We are always happy with the staff and amenities offered at the Oak Harbor Best Western Plus hotel. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and the cookies offered in the evening are a special treat.

Stayed here for just one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were impressed with the quality of the breakfast - lots of options, everything was very good. The room was a bit dated - could have used more power outlets - but very clean. The bed was comfortable. No major complaints for this stay, for the price, it was an excellent value.

This hotel is conveniently off Hwy 20 shortly after entering Oak Harbor. We drove up from the south and through Deception Pass, and we arrived at our hotel destination shortly after. We loved the very nice Chinese restaurant that shared part of the parking lot with the hotel. The check-in was quick and friendly. There were refreshments in the lobby to welcome us. The room was clean and included a refrigerator. The hot breakfast buffet was varied and tasty. I appreciated the reasonable price. I hope we get to come again.

The only fault of this hotel is the amount of noise that the structure allows. The ceilings and walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. The other aspects of the hotel are wonderful. Breakfast, location, staff. If you want to get some rest, this is not the hotel to stay in. If you are not concerned about this, you will be fine.

Very pleased with the accommodations. Room was comfortable, quiet and spacious. Bed was a tad hard, but good overall. Breakfast was much more than expected and very good. Price was, surprisingly, much lower than we expected.
