"Nice place"
WidthAdventures, 06 Octobre 2018

We stayed one night. Parking here is gated and is not included in the cost of the room. I think it was 7 Euro per day and we did keep our car here after checkout to go explore the city. The rooms were nice. Only one queen bed in each room and we had 2 rooms on different floors instead of close, but it all worked out. Train station is steps away which worked out well. Train wasn't cheap, almost 4 euro per ride so it may have been cheaper to just drive into city and park with 3 adults, but whatever, train stops in town were close to attractions and easy to find. Rooms were clean and well stocked. Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast here was included and was definitely way more than expected. It was quite large, well stocked, well staffed. Very impressive. I would stay here again.

"Great overnight stop--European atmosphere with overtones of America"
My02CentsWorth, 28 Septembre 2018

Booked via the Best Western reservation system on-line with no problems. We were en route from Basel to Nuremberg to join a river cruise so just spent one night there. A bit of a drive from the rail station, but in a nice neighborhood. Large room, comfortable bed, excellent wi-fi connectivity. And...the breakfast spread (included) rivaled what you'd find on a cruise ship. By far the best I've ever seen at a B-W (or any other) property. We also found a nice little Italian restaurant a five minute walk away--recommended by the front desk. Turned out to be great food at a reasonable price.

"Excellent hotel to stay at when we you travel to Nuremberg"
travelerEric, 27 Août 2018

Very pleased with the facilities. Very impressed with the quaility and selection of breakfast. You won't regret staying here. Do note that the hotel is not walking distance to the main train station, but it is close to a train station.

"Service above and beyond"
MissRich64, 14 Août 2018

We came to the hotel very road weary, with a confirmation from an online site. The site did not send confirmation to the hotel. The staff at BW, especially K, did everything to make us comfortable and ensure we had a room. When they realized my mother had been stung by a bee (nothing to do with the hotel), they offered to run to the pharmacy, provided ice, etc. The hotel has a nice cocktail lounge and it comfortable to sit there and people watch. There is ample and reasonably priced parking behind the hotel. Great place to overnight before going to the airport.

"Good stopping off point en-route to Italy"
BellaGlasgowScotland, 20 Juillet 2018

Chose this hotel for a two night stop-over en-route to Merano in Italy because of its proximity to the motorway. Using sat-nav we found it quite easily and left our car in the hotel car park making use of the train to get into the city centre. Train stop is a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has all you would expect of a four star BW and its cliental was a combination of business people and tourists. Small bar in the hotel and an excellent breakfast served. No dinner served unless you are with a coach party. We had a mediocre Greek meal near the hotel on night one and a brilliant meal in the centre of Nuremberg on our second night. Bedroom was spacious clean and had coffee making facilities which is always a plus. A good hotel for a short stay.

"loved it!!"
Lorina T, 12 Juillet 2018

it was perfectly located for my needs. its in an ok area, you could walk outside at night and not have to worry. their breakfast was excellent. the subway is close, a 10 min walk. parking is 7 euros a night and my car was secure. only problem was the bird perched on my window squawking at 4:30 in the morning!! (not the hotel's fault) i was nervous because no windows have screens in the hotel and the air mustve not worked in my room because i was hot. rooms are small (normal for europe) but coming from america, im used to queen size or bigger. its something you get used to fairly quickly.

"Perfectly Functional."
KPS1955, 04 Juillet 2018

Stayed for three nights. Location good for underground to city. Staff somewhat surly although reasonably efficient. Rooms clean with good air conditioning. A hotel for staying, rather than relaxing, but perfectly functional.

"Came close to leaving 5 stars!"
gafiltafish, 22 Juin 2018

Only con is that the people who work there aren't particularly friendly or personable (but that's Germany for you...).Also during breakfast I felt like one of the employees kept giving me the stink eye! Anyway yes this hotel is NOT in Old Town and it has no ambiance but you are getting... - 2 blocks away from the subway -a great breakfast buffet (probably the best included one that I have ever had in Europe!) -a large, comfortable room - a chocolate on your pillow, 2 bottles of water, and 1 bottle of apple juice in your room all complimentary - a fridge Oh yeah there is an ICE MACHINE you can use which is unheard of in Europe!! You also can choose between crushed or cubed ice! Would easily return if I find my way back in Nuremberg!

"Excellent hotel and great breakfast"
Steve Y, 18 Juin 2018

We arrived early but were able to check in straight away. We were offered coffee by friendly staff while the room was checked. There is no parking in the street that we could see, but the hotel has a secure car park for 7 euros per night. The room was bright and inviting, with a large bed and there was a refrigerator and safe , plus tea and coffee making facilities, and a balcony. The room was air conditioned and very quiet, and the breakfast was superb and very extensive. The S-bahn was just a two-minute walk from the hotel and for a few euros there is an all-day ticket for all city transport. The old town is not far and on the same line..

"Exceeded expectations"
Koshkha, 17 Juin 2018

We had morning flights from the airport and the Moevenpick at the airport was way over our budget so we picked the BW for a one night stay. We had a rental car so the large car park (at just 7 euros per night) was very welcome. The hotel is larger than I expected and the room was better too. I liked the large work desk, the comfy bed and the free soft drinks in the fridge (nice surprise). I was also pleasantly surprised by the range of items available on the breakfast buffet. Wifi was good and fast - no issues with that. Front desk staff were helpful and recommended local dining options.

"Everything ok, noisy but excellent breakfast excellent"
Groovybaby18, 23 Mai 2018

This hotel is nothing special and you can easily get to the town centre by tube but one of the best things about it is the breakfast. If you are a light sleeper then make sure you take a room facing away from the train lines as the tube disappears into the ground just outside the hotel which was very noisy. The room was adequate everything was ok but aside from the breakfast nothing stood out for me. Tea & Coffee in the room but sadly you have an empty fridge so if you want a drink you need to go to the bar which in my case was a long corridor and 5 floors away. No alcoholic room service I'm afraid!

"Great hotel in quiet area"
jaggsmith, 09 Mai 2018

No complaints here! My daughter and I spent two nights at this hotel and it was wonderful. It's a short walk to the nearest ubahn station and from there, just a few stops to the old city and LorenzKirche. The staff here was friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea and apples are always available. The breakfast was absolutely amazing!! It was the most food I've ever seen in a hotel breakfast - a mixture of american breakfast foods (hot eggs, bacon, sausages, etc) plus all the German breakfast food of every kind!! Plus specialty coffee drinks are available at their machines: espressos, cappuccinos, lattes and more. Pastries, buns and breads of every kind, meats, cheeses, muesli, etc. The room was a very nice size plus we had a little deck. The beds were very comfortable as well as the quilts and pillows. The room was very clean plus had a bar fridge and bottle mineral water. We were very pleased and I would definitely recommend staying here.

"Very comfortable."
Ian-on-a-stick, 01 Mai 2018

I'm just back from a three night stay in this hotel and was extremely satisfied on all counts. Checking in and out was easy and English is spoken by reception staff. My room was huge. The room door led into a small vestibule where there was lots of storage space for clothes, a free safe, a fridge, a cupboard for storing food items, and a kettle, mugs, glasses and all the little packet stuff to make hot drinks. Two bottles of sparkling water and a bottle of apple juice was complimentary. Two doors led off this lobby. Door one went into the bathroom which had a shower with a deep tray that could be plugged up. Lots of soap, shower gels and shampoo provided in mini bottles and lots of towels. Door two led into a large bedroom with a Queen bed. That's the one that's bigger than UK King size. Comfy bed with really good pillows. Table and chairs also in the room. Plenty of lighting. Quiet and unobtrusive air conditioning. TV. Unlimited free wifi with good signal and fast response. Patio door leading to tiny balcony. Breakfast had very generous times. From 6:30 to 11:00 I think. Good quality food with great variety. Hot and cold. Attentive and busy staff clearing tables and setting up. A comfortable and clean room for dining. The hotel was quiet. I was extremely impressed by this hotel and wouldn't even think about stopping anywhere else when I return. It's 1.7 miles down a straight road from the old town. I walked it a few times. A flat, easy walk. Or a few tube stops getting off at the Eberhardshof on the U1 line. Hotel is 100m away from u-bahn. So to get here by U-bahn from the airport, I bought a single ticket which is available for use for 90 minutes from the time you buy it. Take the U2 line from the airport to Plarrer. It only goes in one direction as the airport is a terminus, Change at Plarrer to the U1 line going in the direction of Furth and get off at Eberhardshoff. Should take 30 - 40 mins at the very most. One last thing. If you're there at a weekend, the travel day ticket purchased on a Saturday for 8 Euro 20 is fantastic value because it's valid on Sunday too. There's an even better ticket deal if there's two of you. All tickets let you ride the S-bahn and buses too. You don't need anything other than your feet once you are in town as everything is walkable.

"Solid Hotel"
JMM2011, 16 Avril 2018

Stayed 1 night. Tram station is nearby, Running/biking trails are nearby. Parking in lot behind the hotel for a couple euro per day. Rooms were decent size, clean, and quiet. Breakfast was average/small selection, but satisfying. Easy check in, easy check out. About what you would expect from a best western hotel

"Good Hotel but a little bit old"
KDFaisst, 13 Mars 2018

Stayed here during an exhebition for one night. Staff is freindly and helpful. Rooms are clean but a bit outdated. Hotel has not been modernized for a while, but that is not a problem. Breakfast is standard, but plentiful.

"Just About Right"
Zubin K, 21 Janvier 2018

Stayed here 15th to 19th January with a 30 strong business delegation. An excellent hotel with a nice sumptuous breakfast thrown in. A first class hotel for the business traveler. Very comfortable rooms and cheerful staff. Will stay here again if there is a chance. Excellent location with the U Bahn close by (Eberhadshof) and very convenient to visit the Nuremberg Messe.

"A bit out of the way but good"
halder, 06 Janvier 2018

You're not in heart of Nuremberg, but half way to Fürth so if you want an inner city hotel... look elsewhere... Otherwise, the underground is two minutes walk, the Nuremberg trials museum a ten minute walk. Breakfast is superb. The rooms are large, warm, modern, big tv, good WiFi. Definitely glad I booked it

"Perfect Hotel!"
Emiliano I, 08 Décembre 2017

I've been in this hotel two nights since I was visiting Nuremberg. I choose this hotel because it had a reasonable price and it is literally 50 meters far from the metro station. In less than five mins you can reach the city center using the u-ban 1. Room was big and clean, bed comfortable and bathroom very modern. Breakfast gives you a big choice between loads of different products and everything tastes so good. In the hall there is also a free coffee machine that everyone could use. The hotel provides a private parking that costs 7€ per night. Highly recommend if you want to have a nice and affordable stay in Nuremberg.

"Good for one night stay"
Carlene B, 07 Décembre 2017

We stayed for the location really, close to the Christmas Market but not too central. Breakfast was great, hot and cold selection. Beds were a little uncomfortavle, two singles pushed together. Otherwise a reasonable stay for the price. Parking available for average cost. Clean and friendly.

"Clean and Convenient"
Canadian-Swabian, 07 Novembre 2017

My husband and I stayed here during the recent long weekend and were satisfied with our experience. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the nearest U-Bahn station, and another 10 minute walk to some really tasty and affordable restaurants. Granted, this isn't near the Altstadt, and is smack beside a car dealership, but it's really easy to get to the city center. The hotel itself was clean, and our ground-floor room was spacious even for a standard two-person room. Breakfast was included, and had a variety of foods from bacon and eggs to the usual German cold-cuts and bread. However, we found the quality to be underwhelming, particularly the eggs which were often watery and lukewarm. We had a problem with housekeeping on a Sunday where despite hanging the "please make up our room" sign, housekeeping simply did not get done. When we inquired at the front desk, the woman explained that the housekeepers often don't stay as long on a Sunday, which for a hotel is kind of unacceptable. All the other days our room was cleaned, so it was really only the one day that was a problem. Overall, good hotel for a really good price. We would stay here again if ever in Nuremberg.

"Always a good choice"
Uwe S, 17 Octobre 2017

It was my second stay in the BW Nürnberg City West Hotel. I asked for a quiet room, and I got a nice quiet room at the end of the 4th Floor. It was really great and I slept soundly. Brealfast was ok, Front desk staff very nice. Internet soso (probably because I tried in the evening).

"Great hotel!"
enyaj-d-, 15 Octobre 2017

We arrived late at night after a long drive from The UK, the staff were very helpful, and spoke good English to help us order takeaway as the restaurant had stopped serving! The car park was full and we ended up driving round and finding a space on a side street - it did feel unsafe but we could fortunately see the car from our window which was a little more reassuring. When we arrived we went for a walk to find food or a shop and there was nothing nearby... hence why we ended up back at reception asking of help to order pizza! Room was fantastic - clean, spacious, lovely desk area and very nice bed. We would stay again, being prepared for nothing nearby! We got public transport (tube)from the station across the road into the city, which was easy to do!

"Basic Hotel with Basic Services"
Lancealot13, 07 Octobre 2017

The hotel is small, so you should anticipate that the rooms and the restaurant are small, as well (the menu, too). The hotel staff members are friendly and helpful, even though they seem to be a bit distracted or overworked. Everything about the hotel is clean and inviting.

"Nice stay with convenient public transportation"
Leo_Gabi_CA, 30 Septembre 2017

We stayed at room 542 for 2 nights. The fifth floor doesn't have balconies, but we liked our room with two windows, minibar and air-conditioned. It was clean and comfortable, no street noises. The hotel parking is just behind the building and they charged E$7/night. The breakfast was good and with many choices. The hotel location provides easy access to the old city where are located most of the tourists sights, just walk 200m to Eberhardshof metro station and take line U1 or U11 to Lorenzkirche station. Less than 300 m from the hotel, there are two supermarkets, Netto (at Fürther Str. 199) and Kaufland (at Fürther Str. 187). We had a nice stay there and if returning to Nuremberg, we will be back there.

"My favourite hotel in Nuremberg "
nelgeinwod, 28 Juillet 2017

I've been to Nuremberg several times now and stayed in a few different hotels, this is the only one I've ever returned to and will ever return to again. Perfectly located, great staff and the rooms are great. Nicely designed, really comfy and spacious. They serve the best breakfast I've had in Germany and I'm looking forward to staying again

"Simple and nice - I mean it's nothing fancy but clean and well serviced"
Tobias A, 20 Juillet 2017

I've stayed there for a night when I visited my grandparents. The staff was very polite, the hotel was clean and there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Yes, it is a Best Western (one of the better ones iMHO) and there is nothing old or dirty in there. Do not expect some kind of luxury or boutique hotel - but who does that when booking Best Western. Nice litte hotel with nothing to complain. Big plus: Breakfast buffet.

"Great Choice - close to the metro system"
Midlifetourist, 06 Juin 2017

The hotel is about 5 short stops on the very reliable Nurnberg Metro. It takes about 10 gentle minutes to walk to the metro and another 15 on the metro to the centre. We drove to the hotel but left our car in the car park and used public transport while we were there as it semed easier. The hotel is modern, but not the prettiest hotel I have ever stayed in - however everything worked perfectly. So lets do the nuts and bolts. My son and I stayed in a twin room. The room was fresh, clean and modern with comfortable beds. There was a good sized tv on the wall and a modern bathroom with power shower. Wifi was very good and the rooms had reliable air conditoning which kept us cool despite the heatwave outside. The breakfast was free and delicious, with something for everyone, including tradition German meat and cheese fayre, plus a British Friendly bacon egg and sausage. The hotel is strongly recomended as the price was good too

"Turned out to be an excellent choice"
izzy96, 02 Juin 2017

The hotel is easy to get to from the airport - take the U2 to plarrer, cross the platform and get on the U1 get of at Eberhardshot, if you get on the last carriage it lets you off at the exit you need to take, go down the escalator and look to your left where you will see the sign that tells you the hotel is 50mtr away - it was so simple and easy to get to the old town and it was only two stops for the Nuremberg trials. It is not a very touristy area - there appeared to be a lot of car showrooms in the area therefore is was quite quiet, there was a lidl's and aldi's within walking distance a few eating places, a shopping centre across the main road but not much else. I was on the 5th floor and had no issues with Wi-Fi connection. The room was clean with plenty of toiletries provided, there was a safe and a fridge in the room - there was also 2 bottles of water and a bottle of apple juice in the fridge which were gratis. The air conditioning worked well, the windows were also able to be opened fully to allow air in if you did not wish to hear the air conditioning. The breakfast was plentiful, with a good choice - a hot selection, meats and cheeses, croissants and cereals, yogurts, fruits etc. etc., which was frequently replenished, waiting staff were attentive and efficient. The staff in general were very nice and helpful, everyone I spoke with spoke good English. My flight was not until late in the evening and there was no problem leaving my luggage whilst I had a day trip to Bamberg (which I also recommend). Overall I would have no hesitation in coming back or recommending this hotel to anyone.

"A Gem in Nuremberg"
Marilyn D, 17 Mai 2017

Recently we spent 2 nights at this wonderful hotel as a pre stay for a Viking River Cruise. It is centrally located to all of Nuremberg's public transportation. The hotel is modern and very inviting. We enjoyed a great breakfast each morning and we had a terrific time at this property. I highly recommend this property for value and convienence.

"Good for business or a one-night stay"
Andres M, 13 Mai 2017

Been here several times for business. Rooms are ok, clean and convenient. Nothing fancy. Staff is efficient considering this is mainly a business hotel where plenty of tour buses spend the night (with lots of people arriving/leaving at the same time) Breakfast is good, but only has a tiny bar the rest of the day.

"Good choice, parking safe"
Madredeuss, 25 Avril 2017

Real pragmatic good hotel. Breakfast has standard good quality, rooms are space full, and crew is OK. Best is the outside parking that really seems to be safe. Biiiiiiiiiig lights overnight flood the closed space. Well, you better do not leave valuables in your car... But...

"Comfortable bed and clean room"
JeanLeadel, 01 Avril 2017

I was on business trip and spent 3 nights in this hotel. Check-in was fast, staff was polite with fluent english. Only problem I had during my stay was very very bad Wifi signalin room 529 Anyway everyday I came back from the office, the room was clean and fresh - 5* to Chambermaids! - Well done Ladies. Breakfast was decent containing standard food + yummy salmon, I must mention! :) Service on breakfast was nice and fast. In overall I decided to give 5* to this hotel, because I was fully satisfied. Only thing which could be improved is the Wifi signal in rooms.

"Solid choice"
martin b, 06 Mars 2017

I book the team in here every year for a trade show- we stay just under a week and it ticks all the boxes. It's not flashy but the rooms are clean, the breakfast is a huge choice and well laid out and the metro is just outside. If you are a tea drinker bring your own bags as the ones they use aren't worth the effort but there is a free coffee machine /hot water and tea maker in the foyer. Down sides? None really - I wouldn't class this as geared toward vacationers- nothing wrong with it - I think they even have tennis courts but It's definitely a great base for weekend tours of the city or for business. We will continue to use it as our go to hotel for work trips

"Family Vacation - Christmas Markt"
rstelzne, 04 Janvier 2017

We were looking for an moderately priced hotel in a good location for our family. We needed 2 rooms for us and our young adult kids. This hotel hit the mark. It was close to the U-Bahn (1 block walk). The rooms were clean, fairly large for German standards and each room had a little balcony. The staff was friendly during arrival and whenever we had questions. It also had a bar with simple food, like pizza, which was great at the end of the day. The best part was the breakfast buffet which had a great assortment of breads, eggs, bacon, yogurt, meats, cheeses, juices etc. that fit both a European or US type breakfast experience.

"I recommend this hotel"
Violeta P, 02 Janvier 2017

I think this hotel has a great location between Nuremberg and Fürth. Metro station is 3 min walk. Nuremberg and Fürth are respectively 10-12 and 3-5 minutes by subway. Opposite the hotel there are fast food cafe pastry shop. * Polite and responsive staff * Spacious and clean room * Excellent, varied breakfast, also fresh juices and fruits * Very good Internet I recommend this hotel!

"Christmas markets in Nuremberg"
John M, 29 Décembre 2016

Just returned from a very enjoyable short break to Nuremberg to take in the Christmas markets. We stayed at the Best Western Nuremberg West and were very impressed by the hotel, the staff and the facilities, a very good choice for the money. The room was very pleasant and the breakfast excellent. We thought we might be a bit 'out of town' but the U2 train proved to be excellent and we could get anywhere in the city in a few minutes. The markets were ok, very atmospheric but slightly lacking in choice. There was regular 'Christmas' entertainment on the stage in front of the town hall which added to the atmosphere and we enjoyed the evenings without spending a fortune. Nuremberg was an excellent choice for a short break due to the many attractions the city has to offer, the castle, various museums, the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and exhibition, and the courtrooms for the Nuremberg trials made for some very interesting visits. Thoroughly recommended.

"Very nice and cosy"
snatchik, 18 Octobre 2016

Clean room, bath gel and shampoo included. Even 3 bottles of water are included! Very nice. Hotel has own payable parking, but there are many free parking places on a street nearby. Breakfast - good choice and high quality.

"3 day stay in BW hotel Nurnberg"
Stjepan V, 25 Septembre 2016

Everything was super like expected. It just that feeling that you get when there is a lot of guest always full it is like big retail chain. Maybe just my feeling but this is one thing i dont like it. You have feeling like you came to a store and you wait in front of casher in the line. No personal tuch. My remark is only on this but all the other things are ok. Breakfast is nice, rooms also.

"Convenient friendly hotel, with very good breakfast"
Simon554, 08 Septembre 2016

This was our second stay at this hotel and once again we received a friendly welcome on arrival. It is not in the centre of Nuremberg, but is just a few stops on the U-Bahn, and the Eberhardhof station on U1 is just a very short walk. Public transport is good and we found it convenient for the Altstadt and an easy connection for the airport. If there are two adults travelling together or with children then the Tages Ticket Plus is a good option and is cheaper than getting separate day tickets for each person. Valid for one day only, but if you buy it on a Saturday it includes travel on Sunday. Using a Bayern ticket covers the whole of Bavaria for one day, so we made a day trip to Regensburg on the Danube river. Being outside the central area we found BW Hotel Nuremberg City West is quieter than many hotels. Breakfast is very good, with plenty of choice, and very efficient friendly breakfast staff. Sometimes crowded when coach parties are visiting, but we always got seated quickly and the breakfast times are longer than most hotels we've stayed at. Our room had a fridge and a kettle and a safe for small valuables. Be aware there is no restaurant at this hotel - they only do breakfast, which we really enjoyed, and a few bar snacks. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, and would love to stay again if I come back to Nuremberg.

"Good Hotel and Excellent Value"
Lincoln1966, 04 Septembre 2016

Good comfortable room with plenty of space and a fridge for use of guests. There is an excellent buffet breakfast which is well worth having and will set you up for the day. There is an underground station in comfortable walking distance with a regular service that runs to the timetable. Staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. There is a shopping centre with supermarket nearby and there is a good Italian Restaurant on the main road.

"Best choice sometimes in case that you search best as budget traveller"
Goddiejens, 28 Août 2016

Professional service. Very clean room. I ordered non-smoking, calm room. I received room 533 available by elevator. Very calm, aircon worked (outside more than 30 degrees celsius). Bistro Maximilian nearby for not so much hunger and Asia Star for big hunger satisfied me with very reasonable prices for best quality and quantity offers. Bitburger beer was better based on my taste than Felsenbraeu in the hotel bar. WiFi good. Service perfect.

"Great hotel, great location."
jko29, 23 Août 2016

Lovely clean, modern hotel, right by ubahn station. Ample parking (small fee). Friendly staff, fabulous buffet breakfast included in our rate. Fridge in room, plenty of space, with a small balcony. Short ubahn ride to old city-we were lucky enough to encounter the music festival-live bands from around the world playing in the main streets.

"Average Chain Hotel"
Vlo Z, 28 Juillet 2016

The Good: Clean, well kept hotel near airport and 5 min drive to city center. Room was a nice and spacious. Lots of options for breakfast and plenty of seating. Secure parking lot on site. Basic hotel that served its purpose for an overnight layover. The Bad:The bed was horrible. The bed was so hard at one point in the night I considered sleeping on the floor. All of the "hot breakfast" items were cold and breakfast had only been open for 30 mins.

"Efficient, comfy, easy access hotel."
Thomas Q, 20 Juillet 2016

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days spending it racing. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very helpful, friendly and polite staff. Everyone I met were pleasant and made you feel welcome, a good point in my eyes. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from and again helpful staff to assist you and ensure your cup was not left empty. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom facility is small but completely acceptable for me. I liked the fridge which was a nice touch, with a local shop you can stock up and have somewhere to keep it cool. Free wifi was a bonus and the metro beside the hotel helps you get around. The only slight negative was the noise from the street outside, it went on early in to the hours, but the Windows shut help keep that down. If like me you prefer having a natural draft at night it may be worth asking for a room not street side. Other than that small minor this is a hotel I will gladly stay in again.

"A few problems but I would stay again"
Suzette M, 18 Juillet 2016

Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Lots of toiletries but bathroom hand-basin tiny with high sides making it impossible to fill the hot water jug which had to filled from the shower head. Volume on TV was turned down so low by management we were unable to hear the news. It was a cold wet morning but no heating provided. User-pays safe car parking. Friendly, helpful staff but poor management overall. Rating: 6/10

"nice price and staff"

Car park behind the hotel, free wifi, easy acces and a very nice breakfast buffet. Although very busy with busses and near the altstad, about 45 minutes nice walk. Finding a quiet place for breakfast is a bit of a thing but good quality buffet. You can be here anonymous and easy. Good bed and clean bathroom with good shower

"Nuremberg City West Best Western"
William W, 28 Juin 2016

Surprisingly very good value so close to historic Regensburg and Nuremberg with nice rooms and an excellent breakfast. Has a well functioning air-conditioning system that is hard to find in Germany for some odd reason.

"Great price and amentities"
Eric K, 20 Juin 2016

This was a nice one night stay when traveling through southern Germany. The rooms were clean and the service was great. The had a laundry area and the cost was cheap compared to other places. The breakfast was great. The only tricky part is there parking, the parking lot is small and you can easily drive past it. Don't accidently park in the parking lot across from the hotel, that is for a store. ($2.50 euro mistake)

"Great location"
Mary B, 19 Juin 2016

I really enjoyed this hotel; I thought it was well priced, and centrally located on a side street. There is some kind of tech school across the street, but no noise from it. There is a pay for use laundry area in the basement with ample ironing boards. The room was large, with an entry way complete with closet, shelving, counter space, fridge, and coffee maker. The bathroom is right inside the door, but I didn't like the bathroom door; quite narrow. The bathroom was ample, but no tub. I could have sat down in the shower and used it as a tub though. The bed was very comfortable, adorned with chocolate when I first checked in. There were 2 chairs to sit in, and a small table. The air conditioning worked fantastic. Breakfast was quite ample. They had every option; eggs, bacon, sausage, as well as yogurts, cereals, breads. There is a terrific Italian restaurant on the main street a few blocks away, as well as a u-bahn station in the opposite direction.

"Visiting and Relaxing"
241Trip, 21 Mai 2016

This property offers great service, comfortable rooms and relaxing atmosphere. The staff while you register is very friendly, very helpful, and ready/prepared and able to provide you with the information(s) that you are beneficial to your stay, visit, or business needs. Very multi-talented and resourceful staff at this facility . The breakfast is simply "outstanding", if you have special needs, just ask and with eagerness and friendly efforts, they will assist.

"Great choice for short time stays"
HeikeSch_12, 17 Mai 2016

I like this hotel which is just a few metro stations away from the city center and main train station (Hauptbahnhof). The metro station is very close and has an escalator as well as a lift. This will spare you using a taxi when arriving or leaving with lots of luggage. For the airport, one only has to change the metro once at the central rail station. The room and bathroom are smallish but modern, clean and have everything you need including a normal sized fridge that will help you save money if you don't want to eat out. It is even stocked with 3 free bottles of soda (however, they do not provide uncarbonated water, unfortunately). Besides an ample and great free hotel breakfast buffet, directly across from the hotel is a bakery/deli that also offers small meals, coffee, ice cream etc. Furthermore, on the other side of the main road is a discounter (grocery store) where you can buy almost anything to stock up your fridge. The hotel offers a free business center with 3 computers with internet connection and a printer, fax, and scanner. The only problem I ran in is that one cannot open and print out pdf-files as the computers don't have Adobe!! However, I managed to open it on my laptop, copy it with the snipping tool, paste it into a word doc and thus print it out. The staff was very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist me with various whims and wishes. As a repeat customer, they even granted me a late check-out as an exception as I had a flight in the late evening. I will keep staying at this hotel whenever I am visiting Nuremberg. However, I will not stay on the ground or first floor anymore because of the noise! If you need a quiet room, do NOT stay in room # 139 or anywhere near it. They are located right above the breakfast room/kitchen and the loud and incessant noise starting at 6 a.m. until about 10 a.m. of chairs getting pushed screechingly along the tiles (one should think that cheap felt pads on the chairs ends could easily solve that issue), dishes etc. smashing down on the ground will wake up the dead! Also, the staff exit is there and they often make real loud phone calls right below the guest rooms' windows as early as 5:30 a.m. If you have your window tilted, you can't avoid being woken up and hearing every word. Also, avoid rooms on the ground floor that show towards the busy street that is used a lot on work days by school children and rowdy teenagers (the weekend should be fine, though). Also, do bring an eye mask if you need your room real dark as the short curtains allow the street light and the morning sun to shine in.

"A very good stopover"
hendrik_vankets, 25 Avril 2016

We used the Best Western City West hotel as a stop over on a ski trip to Austria. The three stars are well deserved: close to the motorway, a private car park, steps away from the Metro , fairly large bedrooms of Best Western fame and a very nice breakfast: all what a stop over hotel needs to offer. There are no dinig facilities but the receptionist had already reserved a table at a nearby brasserie. So what more? Easy, pleasant place near motorway and city. Thanks.

"Really nice friendly hotel"
Sharon L, 25 Avril 2016

Have stayed at this hotel many times. Friendly & helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Great Wifi. Good prices. U-Bahn at end of street for easy access to city centre and exhibition grounds. Lots of small good restaurants close by: Italian, Greek, German & Asian. Hotel will give you a map with directions, but note some restaurants only take cash (no cards).

"Nice cheap and cheerful hotel"
Adam C, 08 Mars 2016

I stayed here whilst visiting IWA, a very busy period in the Nurenberg hotel world. The rates were OK and to be expected for such a time. The breakfast is fantastic, cereals, hot food, pastries, plenty of teas, coffee, juices etc. The rooms are OK, rather basic and no double beds in twin rooms. Staff are helpful and most speak English. The hotel is just 50 yards from the nearest U-Bahn, so getting into town or the convention centre was very straight forward and quick.

"Good hotel"
martin b, 03 Mars 2016

Stayed here twice now and both times been impressed. It's pretty standard for a hotel but super modern, very clean and a great breakfast. If you are looking for something special this one isn't for you but as far as hotels go this is as good as it gets for the price and quality. Perfect for business trips or a safe bet for just having somewhere to base yourself while you do your thing. Metro is right outside and there is an Aldi a short walk away for supplies. Also a car park and a multi storey opposite if you have driven here.

"Great room & breakfast. You will need the fridge - see tip in review"
Dean W, 09 Février 2016

Booked via HRS 6 months in advance with no deposit. We turned up on the allotted day and was greeted professionally although there was no offer of a porter not that we needed one. The lobby has two Shindler Lifts ( it made me snigger anyway) one of which goes to the basement where there is a kids room, business centre with pc's and a printer and a vending machine room for snacks and ciggies. The room was incredibly hot - 30C !!!... someone had turned every thermostat up to max but I quickly opened the huge window to the balcony and got it cooled soon enough in February. The room has its own fast free wifi, huge desk big enough for two of us to work and comfy double (twin) bed, nice. No bath or bidet but good shower and lots of freebie toiletries. A couple of free drinks and choccy on the pillow 1st night but these didn't get renewed. The room also had a generous fridge, something we should have realised was there because on Sunday almost everything is closed so had to resort to the rather tatty nearby coffee bar for a sandwich for dinner. Tip: fill the fridge with goodies if you're staying on a Sunday ! The bar in the foyer was bleak and not well stocked but prices were reasonable. Breakfast was an amazing American style buffet with everything you could possibly want. A real pity the catering didn't extend to room service and/or dinner, neither of which were provided. Nearby there was a Netto supermarket, café bar, an incredibly busy Italian and a lovable Greek restaurant with surprisingly authentic cuisine. There is apparently a good Chinese nearby too but we didn't find it. The Hotel is right by the (U) underground station and only 12 mins or so to the center of town so a good location for shopping or sightseeing. We were visiting the Messe on business which is on the other side of town about 25 mins by tube and the airport is similar distance. the U is very pleasant compared to London underground, clean , quiet, cheap and fast.

"Good position and value"
Mick D, 22 Janvier 2016

Stayed here on a recent tour of Xmas markets in Bavaria. Hotel prices in Nuremberg and the other cities sky rocket when the markets are on, so decent city centre hotel out of the question. After some time looking at maps of Nuremberg (very sad), finally found this place directly next to the S Bahn running directly into city centre. Hugely popular with tour groups (breakfast the next day was fantastic, but very very busy), and you can see why. Staff were pleasant, rooms decent sized and all have balconies (not that we spent too much time out there), and the city is lovely. Decent option for the price conscious traveller.

"GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY HOTEL"
santhosh59, 08 Janvier 2016

Booked online. Location wise it is little far from main rail station. However the hotel is value for money experience. Check in was little delayed, since there was a huge pre Christmas crowd. Front staff very courteous. Rooms are good, clean and spacious. Breakfast was good, Free Wi-Fi. True to Best Western Standard all basic facilities are there including business centre.

"A good hotel, but far from city centre"
Marieta_Oradea, 12 Décembre 2015

This hotel is optimal for those who have cars or travel by undergorund to visit the city. Its location is 7 undergorund stops from old centre of the city. the hotel is clean, modern rooms and bathrooms, lots of toiletries, safe, stroing wifi in rooms, coffee and tea, very good breakfast, a little bar in the lobby. But there is no restaurant, and in the evening you do not find any decent restaurant in the surroundings. opposite is a nice bakery, some shops not far. Staff very friendly and proffesional.

"Christmas market trip"
Gill D, 11 Décembre 2015

The hotel was excellent. I asked for a quiet room on a higher level and this was what we were given. It was a lovely room with a balcony (although, of course in November it was a bit cold to sit on it!). The breakfast was extremely good and it was kept well topped up with plenty of staff to do so. The Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Although this hotel is outside the old town it is only a two minute walk to a U Bahn station and a ten minute ride into the centre. Would certainly stay there again.

"Unexpected stay"
Larry L, 27 Novembre 2015

We were forced to miss our flight home because of an illness. I always stay in Best Western Hotels for business and was happy to find a Best Western in Nuernberg. Although only one night, our stay was restful and the staff were very helpful under bad circumstances. I'm glad they were there.

"My worst experience with Best Western Hotel, all over the world"
Ernanim, 17 Octobre 2015

I stay 3 night, from September to October 1. It was really a night mare, many aspects. Room very uncomfortable, cold, and bathroom, with a very tiny soap. Internet, very poor, in the evening difficult to use. I was attending an exhibition in Nuremberg, and in the evening the best I could have, for a meal, was a small pizza at the bar, with loads of people shouting, as there was football, games for champions league. The Pizza was horrible, and the only meal available, by other hand the restaurant was closed for breakfast. There was a post of TripAvisor, saying EXCELLENCY??? Breakfast was poor, and little choice. All that for 210€ a night?? I stay many times in the Best Western Hotels, in the world. But after such experience. Never again. Terrible.

"Good Hotel but not for staying anywhere close to downtown Nuremberg - Limited Free Parking"
Jonathan D, 14 Octobre 2015

Hotel is nice but its not anywhere close for site seeing without bussing/driving in to the main city somehow. Most of the people staying here were on business. It had a good rate so I stayed here after touring some of the city sites. With that being said the hotel was nice, staff friendly, breakfast full/complete and the room comfortable. It was a little hold with some noticeable wear on some of the ceiling parts in my room but not a big deal. Parking was almost an issue as they have far more rooms than their lot provides. I would stay here again if staying in downtown Nuernberg was not important.

"Not what I expect from a hotel!"
Kolsass, 09 Octobre 2015

Booked the hotel because the description said parking available....well, there is; however it is very limited! I believe 62 spots for 232 rooms! The hotel is also in need of some paint, new carpets and new beds. It is similar to a Days Inn....

"Handy for the airport"
sparty328, 01 Octobre 2015

I stayed here for one night prior to taking an early morning flight. It's not quite centrally located but there are a few restaurants within walking distance as the hotel doesn't have a restaurant. The room was fine and clean, the bathroom is a tight squeeze but adequate. Unlike other Best Western hotels I've stayed in there were no coffee making facilities in the room and the one in reception was out of order. On check in I was recognised as a Diamond member and offered a free drink at the bar. Though the hotel does have its own car park at a small charge I found there was ample parking around the hotel. Wifi is included and was a good speed. Unfortunately I had an early check out so wasn't able to try the breakfast. Good value for money and convenient for the nearby airport.

"Leisure and free Time Enjoyment"
241Trip, 28 Septembre 2015

A great place to stay and location is very good. Service is/was outstanding and the breakfast is superb. The staff is helpful and eager to assist, has answers or knows where to find them. Public transportation is within easy reach.access. The room(s) are clean and freshly made.

"Decent location but staff was hit or miss"
Tintin423, 19 Août 2015

We stayed at this hotel for Challenge Roth and it was just a block away from a subway, just a few stops from the train station and downtown Nuremberg. The small street the hotel was located on was kind of busy and smokey but otherwise fine. Some of the staff was very nice and helpful, but others not at all. When I asked for change for the laundry mat, they didn't have any, no offer to find any, nor was there a change machine. One day, the cleaning service took two pilsner glasses I had purchased -I assume they thought they were the hotel bar's? I called the front desk to let them know and to ask if they could be returned & the man just said "thank you' and hung up -the glasses never to be returned. I think I'd prefer to stay in a nicer hotel closer to the Old Town area if I were to return to the area. Free wifi and refrigerator in room were nice.

"Still after 4 years, it has to be mentioned..."
Christof W, 09 Août 2015

...staying at this hotel was an outstanding experience. I worked for a longer time in the region and stayed at this hotel on a 5 nights-per-week schedule. The service of the entire staff was just outstanding, friendly and attentive at any time, no matter what the request or issue was. I have to outline this. I even had some good entertainment on mingeling with the hotel staff when I sat at the bar and we were having conversations about the world we live in. Big big thanks after all this time, my great acknowledgement of this. My room came with free wi-fi, a plain kitchenette with a fridge and free breakfast, which always was good and accompanied by great service, once more again. As the name suggests this hotel is in the westend part of town, not really at the city center, but Nuremberg is not that big, moreover there's a tube station within 3 minutes of the hotel. Other side of the road there's a big grocery store and a number of smaller places to eat out. The hotel recommends 2 mapped running tracks for those who'd like to work out. Not sure if the hotel staff has changed since then. Well possible. If you should read that, this is for to you. Thanks a lot! I would always choose this place again. Stayed Sept 10-July 11.

"Challenge Roth 2015"
JumboT, 19 Juillet 2015

Roth has no hotels, unless your booked with a home stay. In our case, we booked in a nearby town in Nuremberg about 30km from Roth. Best western is located near the train station so it's easy to move around. There's also available parking for those bringing cars. There is free wifi and coffee. Breakfast is also good but is optional when you book. Rooms are spacious but make sure to select the quiet area. The staff were very helpful with all or needs. So I highly recommend this place!
