"Friendly, clean, convenient and good value."
Diane W, 25 Août 2018

This was just a quick overnight stay but I was impressed with everything I experienced. Welcoming staff, complimentary water and a beer in the fridge, and a kettle! Although the room was very warm, The room also had a fan which helped a lot. Good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast. Overall, a very positive experience. Nürnberg is a lovely place. I recommend it.

"A nice place to stay"
WorldYouthDay, 13 Janvier 2018

This hotel is very close to the train station, especially if you walk to the rear entrance, and avoiding the tunnels outside if you had to walk to the main entrance. I did not have issues with the noise from the trains. The staff was nice and polite. Room was clean. There are tea making facilities and a fridge inside the room. Coffee and tea are provided in the room. There is a TV with international stations. It is convenient to walk to the centre. The best way I found to go to the city centre was, through the rear entrance of the train station (thus also avoiding the street tunnels), exiting the station from the main entrance. You would then find yourself at the gate to the city. If you are inside the train station going back to the hotel, walk past KFC, follow the directions to IC-Hotel, when you see Back Werk exit through the Platforms tunnel on your left. Once outside, walk towards Lotto, keep going straight and soon you will see the hotel. The hotel is also very close to the Central Bus station (ZOB) using the street tunnel. Next to the hotel is a supermarket where you can buy food or a cheap ready snack. Although the hotel is updated and well maintained, I had few power sockets to recharge all my gadgets. The main issue I had with this hotel was the undesired use of air freshener during Room Service. It really is unnecessary and not appreciated by every guest.

"BW am Bahnhof, Nurnberg, Germany"
williamlD3485HG, 24 Décembre 2017

great location, superb staff!, near the Altstadt including a Wienerwald restaurant which are hard to find in Germany now, along with a German restaurant nearby, noise proof windows, great breakfast, parking at hotel, free welcome drink, and great German Schnaps available at the bar!

"Nice hotel close to the train station"
nihal293974, 09 Décembre 2017

Breakfast was great. Staff was professional and kind. Location was convenient for traveling to the airport and close towns (Bamberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber). We liked the shared terrace. The hotel was clean. We recommend this hotel.

"Good Value in good location"
GregoryS57, 01 Novembre 2017

This is a very nice hotel with a great staff. It is close to the train station but outside the old city wall, so if you can find a place inside the wall for the same price that is close to the train station then go for it. The walk to the train station is longer that it appears on a map. The hotel practically touches the tracks (which explains why they give you ear plugs but I found the hotel quiet) but you need to go to the front of the station to enter so the walk is a lot further because the front of the station faces the old city and the hotel is in the opposite direction. Also, you have to walk through a tunnel to and from the station so late at night this may feel uncomfortable if you are alone but I found it perfectly safe. My room was clean and was suitable for one or two. I was alone. Two may have been a little tight. The walk to the old city is less than ten minutes. You can also walk to the old parade grounds, about 40 minutes. Plenty of restaurants and markets near the hotel without going into the old city. I would stay again.

"Good location good value"
GregoryS101, 17 Octobre 2017

Good value in this nice hotel near the train station but outside the wall of the old city. You need to walk through a well lit tunnel to get to the old city but it is safe even late at night. I would stay at this hotel again but do check the prices inside the wall first.

"Website does not give a fair representation"
MrLoo, 05 Octobre 2017

I stayed here one night for business The hotel has everything you need for a one day stay on a business trip (WiFi, Decent Breakfast etc ... ) and is close enough to the city centre so you can walk there. I was hoping - because a lot of hotels in Nuernberg are close to the railway and can have noise issues - that this being a little bit further away would be better . But I got a room facing the street with a tram - and it wasn't much better. I appreciated the free earplugs - I used them Everybody tries to sell his / her business - but the room I got was not even close and had no relation with the fancy rooms shown on the website. It was small and quite old / dated I think you can do better in Nuernberg and would not stay here again

"Terrible"
Rebecca L, 07 Juillet 2017

This hotel is terrible. Our room looks like it was decorated in 1950. The whole hotel is dirty and outdated. There is no air conditioning, limited parking, terrible wifi. I have to go to the front desk daily just to get the "free" wifi to work at all, and then it is unbearably slow. When we asked about air conditioning, they told us to buy a fan. I would not stay here again.

"Nice hotel close to railway station"
bruvan, 08 Juin 2017

The hotel is 500 m from railway station. Very gentle lady at reception, procedure that is very fast. The room is clean and bed is comfortable.Breakfast is complete and service is very discrete but nothing is missing.

"great place and free rental bikes"
samuellA3942AZ, 08 Juin 2017

Pleased to stay at a quiet, central, clean, safe hotel. Free rental bikes and very helpful staff. Very well located close to city center and central station. Overall very recommendable! Would come back, Moderate price. Excellent breakfast.

"Decent hotel within walking distance of main train station & old city"
Crvan, 11 Avril 2017

The hotel is conveniently located within 10 minutes or less walking distance from the main train station. Hint: learn the way to get out the back side of the train station and you will cut down your walking time considerably! The hotel was nice and clean and the employees were very helpful. While the room size wasn't huge, it was typical European size. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good and had a nice variety of items to choose from. The hotel is definitely within walking distance to the train station and the old city or you can catch a Ubahn into the old city at the main train station. We used points for our stay and we would stay here again but would look for more conveniently located hotels depending on the situation.

"Nice rooms and handy for the station"
D G, 31 Janvier 2017

Very handy for the train station and the Deutsche Bahn Railway museum. The old city is withinin easy walking distance. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are well proportioned. My only gripes would be the duvet was a bit too thin for a winter night and there were no extra blankets available in the room. Also a faint whiff of drain in the bathroom, which I suspect has more to do with the city drainage system than the hotel itself.

"dark and tired"
Chanelle B, 17 Novembre 2016

Unfortunately this hotel which is located a good 10 min walk from central station lacks a positive atmosphere and is in need of renovation. The rooms are tired and dark but Clean. The reception staff disintersted, but the breakfast was good, as were the b'fast staff

"Great hotel, wonderful service!"
subarna_84, 06 Septembre 2016

This hotel is about a 10 mins walk from the central station, you have to walk through the tunnel, can be a bit confusing the first time. The hotel reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Received a warm welcome with sweets and cakes. Check in was quick, buffet breakfast included was excellent, lots of choices, hot and cold. During check out they gave us packets of juice , very kind touch again. Room was very nice, clean, elegant. Overall great, only downside no lift..

"A hidden special gem...ein Hotel der speziellen Art"
Swenija, 05 Septembre 2016

This wonderful small hotel reminds me of another time - of a time when the atmosphere , the feeling smong locals in a part of the city mesnt more to us than an Italian shower and 10 special shampoos. It is not at all old fashioned- it's just not a stilish hotel with the usual ( perfect) but allalike rooms. This hotel tells a story... About railways- a room card is like a ticket and the fotos or paintings show the old lines. This hotel is for you : If you do not mind a rather small room, well equipped, with shower, tv , wifi, and you cate more - about the courtyard side- like living there! It has a fridge you get free water or beer there. On the first floor ( court yard side) you have a terrace- you can sit there enjoy a drink or seeing how other people from the hood live- to me... Very special! Most of the guests come again- because of exactly that feeling- and if some complain that there is not enough room- we live in 21th century- the multilingual reception - can tell you the size of the room! - They are extremely friendly and helpful- you really could stay there at a very reasonsble price if you prefer atmosphere to a 5 star with less of it! Breakfast is perfect. There is also a 24 hour bar- you really get that train feeling... And then you forget about some things you might be used to! Like I said before. Rooms are close, so the only thing a guest should have: Respect from the guest next room! This used to be normal, and I prefer sn open window to ventilation sometimes! The same holds true for the terrace; Enjoy your drink and the sun going down or a candle- but think of the others. Hotel like these become rare. They invest, but customers have changed, but a hotel like that is really being in the city. Part of it. We will definitely go there again.

"Ok if you are single"
Pie-eater-1953, 28 Juin 2016

We arrived after 3.00pm on our first day and were given a warm welcome from the receptionist who gave us our key and said that there was a welcome drink in the fridge in our room. When we got upstairs the cleaners were on the landing but had not yet started to clean our room so we returned to reception where we were offered a drink while we waited in the small bar for our room to be cleaned. When the room was ready we were very disappointed to find that the room was very small and that the double bed was pushed against the wall which meant that you had to climb on the bed from the bottom to get in. We were staying there for a week but found that there was 1 wardrobe with a shelf and 8 coat hangers and no drawers to store anything. I did try to put some things on top of the wardrobe but found that it was thick with dust. The cycles available are poorly maintained - on 1 the seat could not be adjusted, another had worn bearings and all the brakes were worn down. The service from the staff at the hotel could not be faulted and the breakfast was all that you could wish for. Apart from the dusty wardrobe everywhere was clean and tidy. This is a perfect hotel for single businessmen but it is unsuitable for couples.

"Quiet good value hotel"
Paul C, 18 Mai 2016

The hotel is fairly convenient being a short 10 minute walk from the main station. I arrived late at about 10pm to a friendly welcome and after a quick check-in was given a WiFi password for my three night stay. The room was clean, reasonably modern and well equipped with a comfortable bed, fridge, kettle, coffee and tea, desk and adequate power sockets for a laptop etc. There was a modern shower with plenty of water pressure and a hair-dryer. No room safe but apparently reception have a safety deposit system. The breakfast was good with fruit salad, several yoghurts, cereal, a choice of rolls, sliced meat and cheeses. The hot food was limited to scrambled egg and sausage one day then egg / bacon another day. I will hopefully return here on my visit to Nuremberg next year.

"Great location!"
JumboT, 17 Mai 2016

Location is great, very near the Hauptbahnhof train station. Walking distance to Nuerenberg's old town. Spacious rooms. Free coffee and WIFI. We also rented a van and they provided a free parking space for it. Hellfull staff! Highly recommended!

"Great Location"
J-W, 13 Mai 2016

This hotel is located just a short walk to the train station. Once you are at the train station you can walk through and end up just out side of the Old Town. The hotel itself is very small and the rooms are small but do able. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was just seven dollars, so that was a big plus. Our room was on the road side, but by about 11 p.m. the traffic was not an issue. We able to get plenty of sleep even with the windows open.

"High prices poor rooms"
Baggywrinkle75, 13 Mai 2016

Not much choice when an expo is on. Prices were more suited to a 4-5 star. Rooms too hot, no way of cooling unless you opened the window and then you had too much street noise. Location OK staff good, but overall a poor quality for the price. Lighting in bar and breakfast area poor, too dark.

"Perfect for business"
ctgo, 24 Mars 2016

This hotel is really a good choice for a short stay in Nuremberg, it's located very close to the city center and about 300 meters from the train station. The rooms and the hotel in general is a bit outdated, however it looks clean and well maintained. They have a fitness room with equipment for cardio training and the quality of the Wi-Fi is very good. The breakfast is good as well and the staff is friendly and happy to help.

"Good value, friendly staff"
Lohikarhu, 04 Mars 2016

Our room was fairly spacious, and quiet, breakfast was quite good, coffee already on the table, reasonable selection, freshh, and open quite late, nice if you want to sleep in ;-) Staff were friendly and helpful; for some reason, the heating in our room was not working very well, and, upon request, the front desk very quickly supplied an electric heater to get us back to comfort, and the heating worked well after that day. With two of us travelling, with business computing needs, it would have been nice to have more electrical outlets for chargers/adapters. WiFi was useable for two devices at once. Several good restaurants nearby. One free beer and water, per person, in the minibar. Limited parking was available in an inside courtyard.

"Cheap and good"
Turiddu73, 21 Février 2016

Very cheap hotel close to the railway station. The breakfast is super!!! The room is cleaned and confortable. The mini bar has a water sparkling water and a beer included in the room fare. The staff is professiona and kind Very easy to reach motorway. I suggest it for business trip.

"Hotel located close with city centre"
Bruno D, 05 Février 2016

Hotel located close with city centre only 10 minutes walk and 5minutes from train station. Hotel has a parking although very limited and parking place narrow. People are very friendly and enjoyed my stay although was only for 1 night. Breakfast with fresh ingredients and more than enough you can eat. No issue with noise from the street. I will stay again in this hotel.

"Fantastic"
Matthew23LFC, 05 Février 2016

I really enjoyed my stay here, the rooms design was unique and the complimentary free bottle of beer is a lovely touch. Really good location for a short stay in Nuremberg as it is a 5 minute walk from the train station. The rooms were clean and I really couldn't fault this hotel.

"Clean and convenient "
TonjeLyngaas, 17 Septembre 2015

This hotel is close to the railway station and also in walking distance from the city centre and shopping area. It is possible to park your car in the backyard, but there is limited amount of space. The hotel itself is simple, and although a bit outdated decor, the rooms was clean and comfortable. Good WiFi speed and plus for free drinks in the minibar! Breakfast was above average, good selection of food. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff.

"Close to the railway station"
Nijumohan R, 13 Septembre 2015

Located quite close to the railway station. The staff was friendly. Rooms are quite small but maintained well. The city center is close and easy reach on foot. Try to get a room on the street side of the hotel.

"Quick Stop in Nuernberg"
ReCensore1980, 16 Août 2015

The hotel is not too far from the station in a quiet zone. It is possible to leave the car inside with a little extra amount. The room was clean, big enough and the staff offered 2 bottles of water and beer. Breakfast very good! Free wi-fi available. The city center is just a few minutes walk.

"Comfortable and Convienent"
Bob H, 15 Août 2015

Conveniently located close to the main train station and within easy walking distance of the historic district. Limited off street parking. The rooms are on the small size but are very comfortable. Good Wifi. During the summer months the rooms tend to be a little warm but the staff was gracious enough to provide a fan which make the heat more tolerable. The hotel offers a very good breakfast buffet - better than many I've had in the past. The staff are all pleasant and helpful.

"Great!"
Frida30, 23 Mai 2015

I stayed here 3 nights and was very staisfied with everything in this hotel. I got it for a nice price, and it gave all I expected from a 4-star hotel. The room was quiet, the size was ok, the bed was very comfortable and the room was alltogether nicely decorated. Wifi worked well and service was good. The breakfast was very good, well worth the 10€ it costs unless it is included in the room price. I asked and got a water kettle, coffee and tea to my room. Yes it is on the "wrong" side considering the Centrum, but it is just 5-10 mins walk (the tram stop doesn't help much because the tram just ends the other side of the railroad tunnel). Instuctions to find your way from the railway station: take the "south" exit, and when outside, turn left. Continue until a bigger crossroads with a traffic light. Then turn right and you're there.
