"Couldn't fault"
paulc051, 29 Février 2024

Situated handily for all the city centre attractions. You can prebook a parking space for £15.50. We're allowed to check in early. Nice bar overlooking the street below. Clean well appointed rooms. Good choice at breakfast, with lots of hot items and cold offerings. The lady at breakfast was very friendly. Good choice and for 1 night it did everything I would have hoped for.

"Great time thanks"
James B, 25 Janvier 2024

"Overnight theatre stay"
Bettsie2014, 21 Janvier 2024

Great location of hotel near theatre. Cleans and spacious room. All facilities covered. Breakfast hot and lots of choice. All staff friendly and welcoming. Parking good. Would highly recommend. Great hotel.

"Basic hotel"
Kat B, 20 Janvier 2024

Basic hotel, no water in room and no room service available so take your own water Hot in room Breakfast dried up and poor quality considering the price was expecting better quality Reception staff helpful Parking directly next to hotel when pre booked was very good Good communication from hotel prior to stay Would stay again but wouldn't stay for breakfast next time

"A basic hotel with a good location"
Eamonn C, 06 Janvier 2024

We stayed 2 nights in a treble room.Good location for the city centre/sightseeing/good bars and restaurants. We did'nt have breakfast at the hotel as it was exorbitantly priced..plenty of other options nearby. Reception staff were very friendly. Our room was basic and rather jaded-the heating system is far too loud.Fresh towels delivered on day 2. A functional hotel.

"Brillant hotel "
oakley49, 28 Décembre 2023

Third stay here at this great hotel.Prebooked carpark and early checkin which is really helpful as can check in at 1pm.Always have a deluxe double room and never have any problems. Staff very welcoming and nothing is any trouble for them.Great location for Theatre Royal about a 2 min walk away.Already looking to book again for next Xmas.Thank you once again

"First class customer experience"
Stuart B, 03 Septembre 2023

Was down with my mate for the weekend and from the check in right until we left the customer service was excellent, even the lady who tidies the rooms came upto myself on the Saturday to ask if I needed it cleaned ,I wouldn't hesitate booking this hotel again .

"A Hotel with a Great Location and Excellent Service"
brianaZ1354UO, 13 Juillet 2023

I stayed for just one night. But what a night. Everything from the perfect location for the Theatre or Cinema, to the fluffiest of pillows and most relaxing of showers. The staff couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were so updated and clean and tidy. The price well justified. So come on. It's only a ten minute walk from the station. Plenty of places to eat and drink around. Get yourself here!

"Good overall stay!"
ebsmith18, 19 Juin 2023

From the time we entered the hotel we felt wanted. Helpful friendly chatty staff, clean and tidy hotel. Lovely neat room, just what we wanted. Breakfast was good and tasty, with helpful staff once again.. .

"April 2022 stay."
Staceyjayne9, 10 Avril 2023

We had booked the hotel for 2 nights to wonder into the city centre ,this was very ideal as everything is within walking distance. We arrived a little earlier than the check in and had pre booked the car park , luckily they let us park up straight the way and collect our room keys later on. The parking spaces are very small! Later on , we came to collect our keys , as we had already done the online check in sent via email. The room was very spacious for the 2 of us , the one thing that wasn't available was a mini refrigerator, that was a shame as it would have been ideal. The air con/heater was also very loud once turned on. The walls are very thin as are the windows , you can hear everything around you. We visited the bar whilst at our stay , it was very quiet which was good and had the golf on in the back ground , it could have done with some background music. During our 2nd night here we got woken up at just gone 1am , the fire alarm was going off in our room , woken up by the noise we were concerned and quickly started to get changed to leave the room, the alarm then went off and we looked through our hole in the door to see what was going on , we waited to here from the team about what had happened but nobody came to inform us. We then started to get back into bed and the alarm went off again at just gone 1.30am , once again we jumped up and it stopped. We were not informed but the staff what was happening, we then tried to go back to sleep but heard the fire alarms going off in all of the rooms around us for several minutes, we eventually managed to fall back sleep. Whilst checking out we asked about what had happened and the staff at reception just laughed it off and said it was the restaurant downstairs that had caused them to go off. There was no apology for disturbing our stay or for not informing us what had happened. This unfortunately made the end of our stay very disappointing.

"in nottingham for a conference"
tommyhughes111, 09 Février 2023

absolutely perfect - did everything we asked with a friendly welcoming face. The breakfast was nice, they cooked porridge which was great. The girls at the reception were really nice and helpful. really great

"Top quality"
Squash-Master, 21 Janvier 2023

Travelled over from Lincoln for a night to celebrate my birthday. Very very impressed! Swift check in, friendly staff (reception, breakfast, cleaning team etc), spacious modern rooms all in an excellent central location. We contacted the hotel in advance ref on site parking (which you need to book in advance), decided on the Q-Park Talbot Street, which is a short walk from the hotel. The discounted ticket works out slightly cheaper than the on-site parking @£12.50 for Q-Park. Breakfast selection was fantastic, all fresh and the service was friendly and good. This particular Best Western accepts Tesco Vouchers so we paid with those, so it cost 40p in total! An absolute bargain. We've stayed at the nearby Premier Inn previously, this Best Western hotel has a bigger bedroom and bathroom, I'd definitely stay here again in the future. Cannot fault it. Thank you for looking after us during our stay, keep up the great work.

"Another great stay"
oakley49, 29 Décembre 2022

2nd time staying here in a superior double room and once again 1st class service from all members of staff. We had booked a parking space at the hotel but 2 weeks before we were due to arrive had a phone call saying there was a funeral that day and they couldn't honour the parking but could offer us the Q park on talbot st a 3min walk away at no cost. What great customer service they could have left it till i arrived on the day but no they went above and beyond to sort it out.Location is a 2 min walk to the Theatre Royal which is absolutely brillant as that was where we were visiting. All in all a great hotel right in the centre of Nottingham at a great price with great customer service.Thank you again

"Good Value for Money"
TraceyMK, 17 Décembre 2022

Great location for Rock City. Hotel was nice but we did pay for a premium room. Nice big room and very clean. Parking is just round the corner, 2 minute walk away. The hotel does not serve food, only breakfast but you can order in or grab a takeaway and you can eat it in your room or the bar. I would stay here again.

"Great staff, pity about the hotel"
Five5, 05 Décembre 2022

The staff are really lovely and helpful. The hotel is in a good location for the town centre but the area is pretty scruffy. The hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. During my stay, the front entrance wasn't working, the guest Wi-Fi in my room wasn't working and the room was cold. I was there for three nights, staff in reception tried to be helpful but the room never warmed up.

"Good until that point...like coming up against a brick wall of couldn't care less."
Kay L, 28 Novembre 2022

Very clean and smart hotel. All staff on arrival and evening excellent. Next morning approx. 6 I phoned reception because television did not work. And I quote from receptionist Paul.."What do you want me to do about" The least I expected was politeness, the most was an offer to provide from a room that was not being used a tele swop that wouldnt have killed him. He also said" the tele was working in that room last week and the week before" I replied "Its not my problem I wasnt there, then he asked when did you arrive? The attitude was wrong right for the start.DO NOT stay in room 408 with out checking if the tele works.

"BEWARE IF YOU NEED PARKING"
Trucking3, 06 Novembre 2022

We booked this hotel as it advertised onsite parking which it does but has only 10 spaces for a 100 room hotel, we were redirected to the Q park about a half a mile away but on arrival our standard Land Rover Discovery wouldn't go in under the barrier so we parked in the crowne plaza car park which had many available spaces, you exit the car park through the crowne plaza hotel which looked fabulous, I know where il be staying the next time, In fairness our hotel rang later on to tell us we had indeed booked one of the 10 spaces and if we wanted to take our car out of the crowne plaza car park and move to their small car park we could but we didn't bother, rooms were ok and the desk staff were very nice, not so much the duty manager

"Just don't."
trishy_p, 26 Octobre 2022

My partner booked a two night stay as a birthday surprise - one of my very favourite ‘back in the day' bands were playing in the city and it was all supposed to be very lovely and exciting! Our room was an ‘upgrade' and we were originally shown to room 102. I asked if there were any higher floor rooms, as being a person of a ‘certain age' I'm not the best sleeper and easily disturbed by noise. The receptionist informed me that all the ‘upgrade' rooms are on the first floor…. It is what it is, fair enough. The Bluetooth speaker wouldn't connect, so we put the tv on for some music…. It came on but there was an issue with one side of the screen and only half a picture was visible, so we phoned reception (again, having already spoken to them to ask where the fridge was, and to inform them we only had one robe hanging up in the wardrobe). Anyway it was decided that all things considered it was probably best to move us to another room, at the end of the corridor (much quieter road noise so that at least was appreciated!) This room was smaller than the first but hey we weren't here to admire the design of the hotel and it seemed fine so we cracked on with our stay….. fast forward to the afternoon of the second day, just nipping back from a lovely explore of the city and a nice lunch before the band that evening. Summonsed over by the receptionist to be informed the tv from the first room was being sent away for diagnostics which would confirm exactly what the problem was AND the exact time the impact occurred…… hang on, this sounds very much like an accusation that WE caused the damage to the tv?! As I pointed out, if we ‘had' done that, we hardly would have reported it immediately, would we?! Surely any sane person would keep their heads down and scarper as soon as the stay was over… ?? (Probably just as the last people did!) To be then informed that housekeeping DEFINITELY checked the tv and it was un damaged (just like they checked there were two robes and actually cleaned and dusted ?!)…. AND we did have a bottle of fizz in the room so it MUST have been the cork from that (kicking myself for not taking my usual screw top! even though the location of the damage would have meant one lying flat on the floor to have an even near trajectory) So, guilty until proven innocent then?! I reminded them that since our arrival I had spent most of the time before the room change either whinging about stuff that wasn't right/missing or sitting in the bar, but would appreciate a copy of their cctv and phone records to prove exactly how little time had actually been spent in that room and that we DID, to within probably a minute, report the broken tv as soon as we noticed it. I was informed that this information could only be provided by the manager, who was not in but would be at 8am the next morning. I asked the receptionist to email him to give good advance notice of my request (we're all busy people) and she confirmed email communication was occurring but there was nothing more that could be done with the available staff at that time. It's fair to say we were VERY upset by this interaction- I'm a very honest person, hate confrontation and to be honest right then I just wanted to leave. We tried to resolve the issue that evening so we could go out without it hanging over us but it was impossible - the manager was unavailable and it would have to wait until the morning. Pretty much ruined the evening and obviously my partner felt gutted for taking me away to somewhere he felt would be great but in reality was really pretty terrible. Fast forward to the morning, expecting to speak to said manager….. NOPE. He's not in today and not available by telephone. There is no official complaints procedure, just his email address. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my time but NEVER had an issue of such magnitude completely left unresolved. To be accused of breaking hotel property, with the implication that therefore we will be liable for replacement of said property, is bad enough, but then to have no opportunity to understand exactly what this implication means, is really very concerning. Obviously we're worried we're going to get a grand charged to the booking card to pay for a tv we did not break but we'll try not to hold it against Nottingham- we thought it was a nice city however, I would never stay in a Best Western again and would urge anyone else to reconsider staying here. Bearing in mind also that this accusation was made in full view of other guests going in and out …. The whole thing is completely mortifying. I've never been accused of causing damage or being a liar and as a new experience, it's not one I care to repeat. We did have some lovely times, the band were great but to be honest I wish we'd stayed at home.

"Perfect for theatre"
fitchlea, 20 Octobre 2022

Booked here with friends for a theatre trip and it couldn't have been closer walk out theatre cross the road and you there Perfect. Plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby. Rooms are clean and beds extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. Only gripe was we ordered two Baileys at the bar and they were served in half pint beer glasses ! When questioned we were informed that they didn't have anything else, strange as we were the only ones in the bar. Having said it was a good choice for the weekend and would return if needed.

"Visiting Rock City"
suec1955, 05 Octobre 2022

Check in done Floor 2 myself and my Friend had 2 rooms big and clean room beds comfortable shower and products to use, our visit was to Rock City which is only a short walk away also great Rock pub next door didn't know was there till end of the night after leaving Rock City. Breakfast was good plenty to choose from will stop here again if going to Rock City again in the future

"In the centre of everything"
dthacc, 04 Octobre 2022

Great choice for an overnight stay when visiting Rock City. Tram stop 75 yards away. Rock City 100 yards away and a Rock pub next door. Plenty of eating options close by too. Very quiet hotel. Will visit again

"Sunday night stay"
Jonesy335, 06 Septembre 2022

Car parking at the hotel is extremely limited at an additional cost of £15 a night. Although I own an SUV it isn't particularly big but did not fit in the space! Check in was quick and efficient and what I have come to expect and appreciate as a frequent user of Best Western Hotels. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the bathroom fell well short of those expectations. The toilet had clearly not been cleaned and was evident as soon as the lid was lifted. The staff were very good in sourcing an alternative room as house keeping was not available. After an evening out and settling down to unwind in front of the tele we soon discovered that there was no reception. A few minutes fiddling did nothing so with it being quite late we simply decided to turn in for the night. A shame really as the hotel is ideally situated for the city centre bars and restaurants

"Family wedding"
TheWests3724, 30 Août 2022

I stayed to 2 nights one with friend and one with my partner. The hotel is in the middle of city centre with lots of rooms. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The wedding was well organised and ran very smoothly.

"Rubbish, stay elsewhere. "
william g, 29 Août 2022

Hotels are in the hospitality business. This means being hospitable. Not here though. Our welcome was rude, offhand and surly. Clearly the receptionist receptionist didn't want to be here on a bank holiday evening...not my problem. Our room rates as average, the air con is noisy, carpet stained, and I'll washed blood stains on bath mat. Now that I am in the room, I remembered having made the mistake of staying here before, why oh why am I here again. Not a mistake that I will repeat. Fortunately we are here one night only. By the way parking is very tight with few spaces.

"A Pleasant Night Away"
seanhNG, 26 Août 2022

Stopped here for one night whilst visiting for a wedding in Nottingham. Greeted and checked in by a lovely lady on reception. Room was clean and up to standards, a bit of water damage and damp near air con vent (room 411), but no major issues. A few drinks in the Lounge bar, again lovely chap behind the bar, reasonable prices for a hotel within the city centre. Overall, a pleasant stay. We would return again. Kindest Regards, Mr Hart

"Great hotel, great location! "
mattcI4227NY, 17 Août 2022

We all stayed here for when we were in nottingham for a graduation and glad we did. From the lovely greeting on reception when we arrived, the clean and tidy rooms, very comfy beds and awesome shower. After our nights antics we returned to the hotel at 11.30 and luckily the bar was still open so we carried on with a few pints, i assume the staff tolerated us as we were all pretty boosy :) the guy behind the bar even did us a couple of pizzas to take up to our rooms...i enjoyed a large margherita while watching arnies total recall on the flat screen. The next morning we went to the first floor for brekkie and was very surprised to the spread they had out. All you can eat breakfast buffet, everything was amazing, lots of choices just - one negative the sausages were very well done and tasted like cardboard :/ but everything else was lovely. Then we evem had a cheeky hour left to chill in room before checkout! When we come back Notts we'll def stay here again. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

"Wonderful staff "
Cfc4714, 09 Juillet 2022

The hotel is clean and basic but the staff in every area are wonderful always a smile always engaging and efficient in area . They make this hotel and make this a five star review . I hope they get the credit they deserve as you are blessed with a wonderful team . Well done all. Look forward to coming back .

"Perfect choice"
Rach371, 21 Mai 2022

Booked for one night as we were at an event at the Motorpoint Arena which is only a 15 min walk away. Central so great for all bars/restaurants. Room & ensuite were clean and beds were comfy and the staff were all lovely. Would def stay here again

"Silent Night Happy Night."
Leslie D, 18 Mai 2022

After the debacle at the Park View in Edinburgh, this was different class. Friendly reception, lifts, lovely comfy rooms and everything you could need. It was quiet as I needed some quality sleep and central for eating out. I would certainly consider coming here again, well done all.

"Staff made it."
JessicaH599, 15 Mai 2022

I have stayed at this hotel for work before and it is Of an OK standard. Great location in the city and easily accessed. The bed could do with an upgrade, lumpy and uncomfortable. The massive success for the hotel is its staff. A massive shout out needs to go to the kitchen manager, Mo. She looked after us and nothing was too much trouble, she without doubt made this hotel.

"Andre Rieu concert in Nottingham"
Alan B, 03 Mai 2022

Hotel was clean, staff very helpful and food on offer very acceptable. The only issue we had was finding suitable road access to hotel entrance. Being a first time visitor to Nottingham we thought the one way system, although no doubt necessary and no fault of the hotel, was confusing and difficult to navigate

"Great stay"
Forty4, 30 Avril 2022

Value for money ideally situated within the city centre . Staff friendly . Disabled on-site parking available . Dietary needs could be catered for and we were created with cake . Internet speed was great and available . Large bed

"Perfect location"
sparty328, 28 Avril 2022

Great location, good value for a city centre hotel. Was upgraded to a spacious room with all the extras including a sofa, however the table is too high in relation to the sofa. There's a power socket with USB port next to each side of the bed. WiFi signal is weak at the far end of the hotel. Bathroom had a nice powerful walk-in shower but disappointed that they're still providing the shower gel and shampoo in individual plastic bottles rather than a dispenser. Effective blackout curtains however the sound insulation could be a lot better. Unlike a lot of hotels they are generous with the amount of tea, coffee and milks provided in the room. Breakfast was as expected with the usual choices. Overall a good comfortable stay.

"great hotel"
p1bud, 22 Avril 2022

Impressed with the location of the hotel, so close to the pubs and clubs all in walking distance. If you park at the Qpark you also get discount parking, it's £11.50 for 24hrs. The hotel is very clean. The rooms have lots of space and the bed so very comfy. Staff were very helpful and super friendly.

"City Break"
Andy m, 13 Avril 2022

Perfect central position and the sat navigation took me straight there, not always easy in Nottingham, added bonus is the western has on-site park, limited in numbers but available if you book in advance. Rooms are clean and enough space if your staying more than a couple of nights.

"Great City Centre Hotel"
MTB99Mike, 17 Mars 2022

Great stay. Comfortable bed in a spacious room with an excellent modern bathroom and very good breakfast in the morning - couldn't ask for more. Staff friendly and efficient and hotel location excellent right in the city centre. Would definatly recommend and will return.

"Sleep"
davidrbmontgomery, 10 Mars 2022

Don't stay in this hotel until they have fixed the unstoppable noise from the air conditioning. I had driven 200 miles to Nottingham, faced a long day and 200 miles home next day, so sleep was vital! Never again!

"Quality hotel"
Ann J, 05 Mars 2022

Parked on site. Nice welcome on arrival. Given room upgrade. All very nice toiletries were Elemis, drinks and biscuits plentiful for a 1 night stay. Went to a show at Nottingham concert hall which was located just round corner and in good proximity to restaurants as well. Restaurant member of staff very pleasant. Restaurant clean and food was of a good standard with plenty of choice

"Great location and friendly staff"
gekaren1, 02 Mars 2022

This hotel is ideally located for shopping and the Theatre. The rooms are clean and the restaurant and reception are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good. We have stayed here many times and will continue staying here in the future.

"Disappointed"
Oliver B, 27 Février 2022

Booked this hotel after reading it had good reviews and due to its location near the city centre. While it is situated in good distance to the city centre and is easy to find, there were some issues that let this hotel down. The staff are friendly and helpful, however we had requested with the sign that the room be made up, we knew this had to be done before 1pm and put it out at around 10am. However housekeeping would not make up our room and so we had to clean up rubbish ourselves. Disappointing as I would expect the room to be cleaned considering this is one of the more expensive hotels in the area. The decor and furniture in the room is a little dated but was fairly clean. Beds are comfortable and the curtains are great if you like the room dark as do I. However I wouldn't stay here again, there are cheaper and better options elsewhere in Nottingham.

"Mrs"
heidihargreaves, 20 Février 2022

We were very happy with our stay. We stayed for one night in a large twin room on the top floor, a nice spacious room, blackout curtains meant we slept well. Reception staff very helpful, after chatting on the telephone we parked at the nearby Q Park at a reduced rate through the hotel. The hotel was clean and well maintained, breakfast was of a good standard and ran smoothly.

"Excellent"
Pathfinder500146, 09 Février 2022

Was really impressed with Best Western Plus Nottingham City Centre. My parking space was reserved following a phone call, I had a lovely spacious room near to reception and an amazing bathroom. Staff were courteous and helpful. Will definitely stay again. Thank you :-)

"Room smelled of cigarette smoke."
judithsmith19, 07 Février 2022

Unacceptable smell of cigarette smoke in room. Even with the window open you could smell it. Breakfast was acceptable, staff were helpful. I slept ok. Not much noise. Nothing else to say. I probably won't stay here again.

"Faulty towers"
Jayno1969, 16 Janvier 2022

If you want the faulty towers experience stay here ! Stayed here a few times but this time was dire. Ancient room. The heating didn't work so was brought up a noisy blow heater which kept me awake all night! The window didn't shut. Reported it only to be told no matainance in so they couldn't do anything so again a noisy nights sleep ! Never again!

"First Hotel Stay for a while on Business"
TheRetiredTraveller, 09 Décembre 2021

Having been locked away for any form of business travel for what has been an absolute eternity, on the 7th December 2021 I managed to attend a real person to person meeting, not Zoom, Microsoft Teams but real people. So my first stay at any Hotel was this Hotel. The first thing to note if you do stay here is that they only have 10 car parking spaces, and if you do not book you do not get. Not an issue for me as arrived fully masked from the taxi. My allocated room was 109, an executive double. The online check in and booking did not really provide the experience you would want but maybe I am rusty. BUT, the Hotel is very welcoming and the reception staff let me have my key and off I went to the room. Mine was on the front of the Hotel street facing. It was a very very nice room, in pristine decorative order and all the amenities you would have expected were all there. Was a very well maintained and brilliantly decorated abode for the night. If you do stay though I would look to see if you can get a room at the rear, NOT facing the street. The 2am boneheads that frequent the pubs and clubs want you to know all about hteir splendid night out and as for that damn car alarm that sounded 20 minutes on the hour every hour throughout the night, just ask to go at the rear is my advice. The bed was very comfortable. The bar area and restaurant looked good but sadly, my booked breakfast was not registered so missed that and cannot say one way or the other. I did try to get a drink at the bar during the evening after I had returned from my meetings but the only lady there was so busy with stock issues that I decided not to wait. So it may or may not be good. I do like the brand and I am a Platinum Card Member. This Hotel is a good option as it is well set for the City and areas like the bars, theaters and restaurants. I would stay here again.

"Big Value for Money"
clare721, 07 Décembre 2021

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was excellent, large comfortable bed, ensuite with excellent walk In shower. The staff were polite and helpful particularly with my deliveroo order. The food was amazing! Variety, good quality, tasty and well organised. Big shout out to Mo and her team ( Angela, Andrew, Matt, Paul and Rose) for delivering at each meal and coffee break. Thank you.

"Good City Centre stay"
SimonTHull, 07 Novembre 2021

We stayed for one night with friends whilst visiting family and the hotel was ideally situated close to the city centre, bars and shops. Easy check in and the room was very spacious with a comfortable king sized bed , large TV, safe and kettle with coffee and tea making facilities. Bathroom was well appointed with an excellent over bath shower which was easy to use with a good range of toiletries. The bar was quite small but the staff were friendly and had a good selection of beers and spirits.

"A relaxing visit"
ebsmith18, 31 Octobre 2021

We had a pleasant stay , comfy ,clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast was good, bar area was clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very busy but staff had time to chat and sort out any queries we had.

"Nice hotel"
rjnewsham, 30 Octobre 2021

The area where the hotel stood is quite close to the town which is a bonus. The hotel is outstanding for the price you pay for. The Staff were all welcoming and smartly dressed. The cleanliness of the Hotel throughout is spot on and I would recommend it to anyone

"Rude Staff"
W2293MUemmaw, 26 Octobre 2021

Booked on booking.com and paid for a room including breakfast. When going to leave the hotel, a rude receptionist shouted you need to pay for your breakfast. I politely said we had already paid and he rudely responded saying he was going to check my booking and charge my card if he needed to. Despite already paying for the breakfasts, I have since had MORE money taken from my card. Breakfast was also awful, cold and dry. Waiting for a response from the hotel via email but won't be returning.

"Staff were great"
diaryofstacie, 18 Octobre 2021

Stayed here a year or so ago and we had a nice time. room was spacious, reception staff nice. location was a bit dodgy, but it had parking outside and a few takeaways locally. would definitely stay again

"Perfect location, lovely staff"
17debbies, 17 Octobre 2021

Stayed here for one night - 5 minutes from Q-park Talbot Street. Right near centre of Nottingham within easy reach of all the main sights and restaurants. Warm welcome at reception from Alexandra and helpful advice on restaurants nearby. Nottingham sure is hilly! You're either going up or downhill so the spotless roomy shower was much appreciated after a long day walking! We had a great meal at the Calcutta Club a 10 minute stroll away and then came back and had a nice drink at the small but cosy bar at the hotel. Wioletta (originally from Poland) was a lovely bartender/receptionist - so glad she stayed in England! We had a nice chat with her and as always it's the staff that make the place!! Slept really well in comfy bed - didn't have breakfast as we wanted to leave early to see Robin Hood Statue and castle before heading home. Would recommend hotel for location and staff!

"Not a good stay"
Barbara H, 10 Octobre 2021

The stay was a present from my daughter who got a staff rate as she works for a BW hotel. The room was of a good size, however the mattresses had toppers on which moved and both nights I nearly fell out of bed. The mugs had ring marks, we bought some mugs so used them. The bathroom had hair on the floor, there was very low water pressure and the water looked cloudy. Our room was opposite a club which was noisy well into the early hours, sleep was not plentiful here. We got down to breakfast shortly after service began, the hot food was tepid at best, would not call it hot, went for just toast and yoghurt on second morning to avoid disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone it's not up to usual BW standards

"Excellent hotel in the city centre"
Colin M, 09 Octobre 2021

The hotel is literally 30 seconds from amenities. A tram stop is 50 yards away. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. This is now our go to hotel when we visit Nottingham which we do quite regularly.

"Disappointing Service"
DawnDH, 04 Octobre 2021

The Manager was Very Rude on arrival and because of an issue he was very rude when approached. There is an extremely noisy hotel with a nightclub across the road that can keep you awake all night - when suggested that they install triple glazing I was told in no uncertain terms that 'This is Triple glazing'; Friends who had rooms on the other side of the hotel had partying and Severe traffic noise all night - Not well located.

"Theatre Stay"
grahamhelm55, 03 Octobre 2021

Marketed as a 4 star plus but far from it! Room was clean but ordinary. Dated and small television with dodgy remote. Room lamp bulb expired. No bar snack menu available and very "ordinary" breakfast . We usually use Holiday Inns and their standard far superior! On a positive note the hotel is ideally placed for visiting Nottingham Theatres

"Stay@the heart of Nottingham"
Samehelsheikh, 22 Septembre 2021

The hotel was good and the staff were doing their best to satisfy us. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and I'll definitely stay there again on my next visit to Nottingham. Genius location just in the heart of Nottingham. The staff are really good, friendly and very helpful. I hope things will get better after COVID19 challenges and the hotel will be back to full power.

"Great hotel, stay sadly ruined by too many single sex large parties."
Amanda S, 30 Août 2021

I'll first review the hotel and staff. Hotel is in a great location, perfect for a shopping trip in Nottingham and for eating out. There were 3 of us so it was good that we could book a triple room. All staff very kind and helpful, I do need to mention a lady named Mo who works in the kitchen/restaurant. What a lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble and she takes her time and remembers guests the following day in the restaurant. Plenty of freshly cooked items for breakfast. Room was very clean. Now for the bad points. Hairdryer in the room kept cutting out after 1 minute of use and wouldn't work again for another 5 minutes. Maybe it was cutting out when it was over heating but 1 minute isn't long enough to dry ones hair. Not great as there were 3 of us who all needed to use the hair dryer. With the windows shut we could still hear all the noise from the traffic outside. ( we were on the 2nd floor ) Roadworks started at 6am on the Sunday morning. Lots of large single sex parties had booked into the hotel, maybe stag and hen do's. Between 12am and 5am there was constant banging on all the doors along our corridor, shouting and running up and down. My friend asked them to keep the noise down but it still continued. I know hotels take bookings regardless of party size but I suggest that families, couples and parties of 3 ( who have booked the triple rooms ) should be placed on the higher floors and keep all the large groups on the lower floors. I really felt sorry for families on our floor who had young children as the noise was unbearable. Perfect hotel if you don't need to sleep.

"Perfect"
boistonm, 28 Août 2021

This hotel is in a perfect location for all the local bars and restaurants. It's is close to alot of shops and museums. The tramway is just at the bottom of the street. The check in was a pleasant experience and quick the staff were very helpful. The bar was a nice place to relax and unwind. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of choice. Overall a pleasant experience.

"Two-night stay in Nottingham."
Ancient-trekkers, 24 Août 2021

We stayed here for two nights and found the accommodation satisfactory for a large city centre hotel. We felt that the room towels could have been cleaner and the mattress was definitely in need of replacement. Lots of food choice for breakfast which was self-service in a light and airy conservatory. All the hotel staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

"Lovely stay with my boyfriend"
yoannexo23, 24 Août 2021

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the hotel for a night, we booked a standard room with breakfast included in the price. The lobby/bar area was smaller than l thought but very cozy. The breakfast restaurant was lovely. The room we booked was very spacious with a big king size bed, which was very comfy. We had two chairs with a little table next to the window, the view was nice The bathroom had a bath with a shower, which we didn't use but it looked clean. The breakfast was lovely, l am vegetarian but there was enough food for me to pick from. The hotel offers hash browns (crispy and very yummy), beans, two types of eggs, bacon and sausages. There is also bread that you can toast if you want. They have croissants and different jams, apple and orange juice, as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Overall we had a really good stay.

"Worst hotel I've stayed in for some time."
paulaU8901IL, 16 Août 2021

I'd like to start off by saying that I am actually a big fan Best Western hotels. Unfortunately my experience at the Nottingham city centre one was not optimal. From a dirty room, a tiny overpriced car park, and to being woken up at 5 o'clock with the noisiest delivery of beer cakes I have ever heard. I swear the bed was vibrating with every keg dropped on the pavement. It didn't help that the staff were talking loudly to the delivery driver too. I didn't think that the stuff that I encountered were very nice either not particularly interested in the fact I was at high level awards guest almost dismissing it. I certainly didn't feel valued in anyway. So in summary, do not stop going to Best Western hotels, I think the majority of them in the UK are wonderful and good value for money. Just don't bother visiting this one in Nottingham city centre.

"Not impressed"
IceTea96, 12 Août 2021

Very nice, friendly and polite staff. Very good location. But room... awfull. Room was dirty, some stains on carpet and side table. Bed very very uncomfortable... not really want to come back there...

"Saved by the Staff"
Exile42, 08 Août 2021

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We were not told that our room would not be serviced throughout our stay until the second day of our visit. We were told that this was a management decision arising out of Covid. We pointed out that we had stayed in hotels in June and July this year where full service of the rooms was provided and that we had paid a rate at this hotel which we considered was based on full service. In view of the decision, the room should have been provided with facilities, toilet rolls, toiletries etc., for the 3 days of our stay which it was not. The room was sparingly furnished. The carpets were dirty and marked, the bathroom door was damaged, the room decor was dull and generally the hotel felt in need of renovation. There was a lot of noise at night. Only breakfast was served and any other meals had to be ordered through Deliveroo. The bar was poorly stocked. Hotel car parking was expensive. The wifi was poor and you had to confirm login every 10 mins or so which was annoying when watching a film etc. On the plus side the hotel is convenient for the city centre and the staff were excellent.

"Perfect for Castle and City centre"
weemick, 30 Juillet 2021

We booked parking at the Hotel for one night and visited the Castle. However on leaving we joined the one way system to exit the City south and unable to follow sat nav due to road works all over and poor signage .It appears that Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham are now collaborating to to rob the Tourists by setting up Bus Lanes and Streets to trap them as more than 13000 motorists had been issued with fines in a short period . We had a Penalty charge Notice for £60 waiting for us when we arrived home!

"Splendid hotel in an ideal city centre location."
johnhouston2, 28 Juillet 2021

The Best Western is situated in a quiet street in the city centre and is in an ideal location, with plenty of parking options at the hotel and nearby multi-storey car parks. Over the years I have used this hotel many times and although I was sorry to see it change hands, there is no doubt that coming under the Best Western logo has resulted in a significant upgrade in overall standards. As I had checked in on-line, the actual process on arrival was quick and slick, and I was pleased to get a free upgrade to one of their premium rooms. The room was large, well decorated and appointed and very comfortable. The en-suite was also a good size and had an excellent shower. The towels and provided toiletries were all of a good quality. Breakfast was very good, as was the attentive service and, as ever, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

"Great Stay"
Maps651452, 08 Juillet 2021

Me and my husband visited nottingham for couple of days and booked The Best Western Plus Hotel, all staff was brilliant and so friendly and helpful. We went in the Premier room, was quite big, tea coffee facilities, toiletries, nice shower. Breakfast was also good everything cooked to perfection. Had a drink in Hotel bar before going out, nice friendly barman. Love nottingham plenty of shops, bars ,restaurants and this hotel is in the centre so was ideal. Great value for money

"Great staff and great hotel"

"Not impressed"
djadef, 30 Mai 2021

Hair dryer not working. Room service was not provided after promised and hand to pay for water that was said was provided. Blunt attitude and terrible customer service. Will not be coming back, booked mercure for tomorrow instead.

"Out of practice, it seems"
danninutter, 24 Mai 2021

We were met with poor service, incompetent staff and complete dismissal of our complaints and not one effort to rectify (drinks vouchers for bar, discount off next stay). We have been coming here for 5 years and have never ever felt this way. There has to be, in my opinion, something to have gone VERY wrong for you to be stood in front of a manager saying we've been loyal to this hotel but won't be returning from this one visit but it didn't seem that way to the staff. The fact that the manager literally did not care or even try to make us feel better has confirmed that our money is better spent elsewhere. It's a shame because the new bar is really lovely, the rooms were excellent and clean and this hotel is where we first stayed when we first came to Nottingham in 2015, so has sentimental value. We will be staying elsewhere on our annual trips to Nottingham from now on.

"Great Service!"
81cameronf, 23 Mars 2021

Absolutely amazing service as usual from Ross as I broke my glasses and needed them replacing. However the frame I had was discontinued so Ross was able to go through a selection with my girlfriend and they found the same frame but in a different colour, really extensive knowledge on what was best for me and listened to my needs. Definitely reccomed popping in to see Ross or his colleagues as they will help you with any issue. A very happy Cameron returning.

"Outstanding visit"
xsarak, 07 Novembre 2020

Exemplary service. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and overall experience was brilliant due to efficient and prompt service given. Room was organised, clean and tidy. Simply everything you can expect and more

"Fantastic "
marcwH1118GR, 27 Octobre 2020

We've stayed here three times now and always had a great stay hotel is in a great location and staff are fantastic friendly and helpful which is a big plus we've stayed at other Nottingham hotels but this one for location and staff is the best in Nottingham many thanks to you best western Nottingham

"Highly recommend"
allyb762000, 18 Octobre 2020

We have stayed here a few times. Perfect location in the city centre.. We have always found that the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble The rooms are very clean and modern. The newly refurbished bar is a welcome addition.

"Perfect for what we wanted "
ri_jade98, 04 Octobre 2020

Me and my boyfriend booked to stay here just for the night. Such a reasonable price for the room! The bed was very comfy and room was a really good size! The staff were lovely at reception. Exactly what we needed! Would deffo go back again for a weekend!

"Ok"
angiecrew, 18 Septembre 2020

Extremely rude ignorant and uninterested reception staff, was put off staying because of them. Room very nice. Breakfast was lovely the 2 staff on duty were an absolute pleasure that morning. Everything was done perfectly to follow government guidelines and social distancing. Overall a lovely stay ruined by reception staff

"Good location but average accomodation"
susan07049, 23 Août 2020

We stayed in this town centre hotel between 14-16 August 2020. It is in a very good location, however the room was average. We had no view at all. The staff were excellent, but the room was not cleaned throughout our stay. I had to empty the bins in my room myself. Breakfast was great on the last morning of our stay. Room for improvement.

"Great staff rubbish beer"
DazD13, 20 Août 2020

Staying here on a business trip. Can't fault the staff but the bar is not so good. The beer on draught is awful. Pint of peroni £4.90 which to be fair is standard price but tastes like vinegar. Maybe need to clean the beer lines. The Guiness on draught is a can that they put on a primer not good either. Just clean the beer lines

"Great stay"
sallyj447, 07 Août 2020

Lovely superior double room, very clean with everything you need. Well planned breakfast with a great chef who was welcoming and helpful. It's a shame some items are not not so environmentally friendly but that's due to Covid not the hotel. We'd come back.

"Expensive but smart"
verybadrobot, 14 Mai 2020

We had 3 nights here for a long romantic weekend away. We booked this particular hotel because we wanted to be in the city centre and we paid extra for an upgraded room because it was a long weekend rather than a quick overnight stay. We managed to park close by in an underground car park (expensive but convenient). The room was fantastic, very plush and comfortable. The ensuite was one of the best I have ever experienced with a massive double shower and robes for both of us. Really lovely toiletries too. The bed was comfortable (a little bit too soft I suppose) but everything was immaculately clean and perfect for us when we arrived. The Nespresso coffee machine was a real bonus- I don't know why all hotels don't provide these kinds of machines these days? Highly recommended!

"in the City Centre, worth Every Penny"
635saadh, 17 Mars 2020

Got to the hotel after 12 hours of travelling and it was a real pleasure to relax in the rooms. Check in was really fast. The room was really spacious, internet connection was superb, and the breakfast was really good. The price for the room is well deserved.

"Great"
Lukef1994, 07 Mars 2020

Whilst the rooms may not be the most modern in Nottingham, the hotel is great, the rooms are a very good size, and the bar is great too. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a business stop over!

"Ok for one night but lacking"
Tracy B, 05 Mars 2020

Convenient for the theatre and room amenities were very good (toiletries, coffee and biscuits, iron, room safe etc). But the beds were saggy, we could feel the springs, and not at all comfortable. We laughed at whoever sited the toilet roll more than an arms reach from the toilet, and the shower was poor and didn't drain very well. The day reception staff were friendly but the night gentleman receptionist/bar man was less than welcoming. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

"Great package: location, service and value for money"
nickt345, 05 Mars 2020

This centrally located hotel is modern and clean. The staff are polite and very friendly. The value for money is exceptional. This is always my first choice overnight stay when I'm attending an event in Nottingham.

"Relaxing visit"
ebsmith18, 03 Mars 2020

Oue stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. Staff encountered were all very helpful and friendly. Room was very acceptable and bed very comfy. Breakfast was enjoyable in the lovely dining area and it was nice to sit in the bar area at night and relax

"Great Hotel"
LeeTaylor58, 28 Février 2020

Great hotel in the heart of the town centre. Several local car parks nearby within a couple of minutes walk. Clean hotel with friendly staff. One of our group left his wallet in the bar which was returned with all the money, thanks for your honesty. Great breakfast in the morning with great friendly staff.

"Stag group"
Laurence J, 23 Février 2020

This hotel came as part of a Stag group package, so not personally chosen. Great location, very clean, nice bar area, pleasant staff throughout doing their best to accommodate guest requirements. A big shout out to the lovely lady who opened up the restaurant for breakfast on Sunday morning. Such a sunny personality, and so kind and helpful.

"Going to Nottingham? Stay here."
Ilovefootball16, 13 Février 2020

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Central location-across the road from The Theatre Royal-with a tram stop close by. Our room was big & the bed was very comfortable. I would ask for that room again. Nice breakfast (though the baked beans were a little cold). The restaurant manager, Mo Shelby, ensured we had everything we needed (except hot beans!! Lol).

"Good Overnight Stay - but Breakfast needs Overhaul"
basilhoward, 05 Février 2020

Clean, comfortable, well-appointed Bedroom - quiet & high up. Friendly staff. Excellent position right next to Royal Theatre. But Breakfast needs a lot of attention. Plenty of food - but Scrambled Eggs all shrivelled, toaster not working, coffee-machine bland. Coffee should be freshly-served, 4 or 5 recent fried eggs on the range. Reasonable price... esp. for TWO travellers.

"uncomfortable bed, poor service, poor quality"
Sherry F, 27 Janvier 2020

We stayed for one night in December. We had booked a room with king size bed. We arrived late at night really tired and noticed they had just put 2 single beds next to each other and called it kind size. The bed was so uncomfortable and when we complained in the morning, the lady at the reception said there was nothing she could do, but when the manager returns the next day, she would contact us. One month later, we received no call from the manager. Also the receptionist, although a very nice lady, did not have a clue about anything and said she was new. A very disappointing experience!

"Great location ! "
667sanap, 23 Janvier 2020

This hotel is very good for the price! It is located in the centre of Nottingham just 2 minutes walk away from corner house, intu shopping centre and market square. The rooms and bathroom were spacious and clean. We had an issue with the window in our room and rang too see if we could move, they moved us straight away! Our room had a big flat screen tv, the bed was 2 singles put together which wasn't convenient however it didn't cause much of an issue. The hotel offered a complimentary late checkout as we rang them letting them know we were running late. The staff were lovely and helpful, and we would definitely stay at this hotel again if ever visiting Nottingham.

"adequate and clean"
Dsaxton75, 23 Janvier 2020

This was an adequate stay, with clean, spacious rooms. Although no restaurant with this hotel, there are a number of restaurants a short distance away. The bed was very comfortable and I had a very good night sleep. The hotel offers WI-FI which is within good range. Overall I would stay here again.

"Basic hotel with no restaurant or room service available"
LouJ1973, 16 Janvier 2020

Arrived after 8pm to be told the hotel had no option to eat in the restaurant or order room service - is this normal for a BW Plus hotel? Advised to go out or order from Deliveroo - which I did from the list of recommended local restaurants and ended up with a cold, tasteless pizza! Waited 5 minutes in an empty bar for a glass of wine and eventually gave up - appreciate this is a city centre hotel and therefore many guests will go out to eat but after a long day travelling and an early start the following day some people just prefer to relax in their room, unfortunately not an option at this hotel.

"Fabulous location, lovely reception staff, scrupulously clean room"
Karen P, 14 Janvier 2020

Choose the hotel due to central location and were not disappointed. Hotel reception staff were fantastic - Cristina and her colleague - were very helpful and friendly, such a warm welcome. Lovely room on sixth floor - spotlessly clean, even when I moved the bed to retrieve a dropped earring 10/10. The only disappointed was some irresponsible guests allowed their children to run up and down the corridor at 1 am for best part of hour - knocking on doors, squealing and generally being disruptive - really annoying.

"Good location in city centre"
TattzJT, 07 Janvier 2020

I spent a very comfortable night at this city centre hotel. From the outside, it looks a bit grim, but inside, is a friendly clean environment and good sized rooms. Room service menu was vast and included local restaurants such as Wagamama. WiFi was great and facilities overall were as you would expect. I would stay here again.

"Customers money are more important than customers themselves."
claudioo708, 06 Janvier 2020

No flexibility towards the customer's needs I booked a non transferable room for someone who at the time of the booking felt unwell all of a sudden and past away 2 days after. Unfortunately reservation was under my name so the death certificate would not be considered. They preferred charging me for the room rather than showing empathy and flexibility, and in general keeping a customer satisfied. Especially given the general situation. I understand your policies but obviously customers stopped being a priority long time ago but what is really bad is your complete lack of flexibility and empathy. You have no values. All of this for £37. You truly are pathetic. You can keep my money

"Great visit!!"
Julie M, 01 Janvier 2020

We stayed for new year's and the hotel and staff were amazing, cannot recommend this place enough, staff were excellent, food was excellent, rooms were great! Beds were comfy and it's in a great location. Cannot thank the staff enough for their amazing service, they went the extra mile for us. They were especially helpful when it came to our family member in a wheelchair, did as much as possible to make our stay perfect.

"Lovely room"
sarahjd154, 23 Décembre 2019

We upgraded to a superior which was amazing and complementary drinks voucher included. Breakfast was nice but staff not prepared and service was slow 2 coffee machines 1 was broke so caused a back log of people queuing all in all an ok stay

"No complaints at all, good stay"
Mnree7, 19 Décembre 2019

The check in was quick, location central to Nottingham, and the room basic but with an updated bathroom (nice tub!). Walking distance to everything and nice staff at the front desk. Parking is a couple blocks away and you can get discounted rates thru the hotel. I would stay again.

"No negatives!"
Babyface421JohnC, 18 Décembre 2019

Everything went smoothly, staff, clean, nice room, breakfast very good with plenty of choice.location excellent could not get nearer the city centre.value for money, would stay again definitely, well done all.

"Excellent stay"
154williamh, 10 Décembre 2019

We stayed here before earlier in the year. The hotel was having building work done to various places, which has now been completed. We enjoyed it then and it was as good again, if not better ! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. It's in an ideal location for everything in the city. Will definitely stay here again !

"Bad food poisoning."
FoxesFan90, 09 Décembre 2019

Recently had my works Christmas party here. The food that was served looked like it had been reheated from frozen. I got home at midnight and went bed. I was then rudely awoken at 4am by crippling stomach cramps which caused me to have the worse D&V I've ever had until 5pm. By the 8th toilet visit I was basically urinating out of my anus. I think this place could do with a visit from the health inspector. One of my colleagues also reported diarrhoea and another said they had thought their turkey had veins of mould and therefore did not eat it. Appalling standards. Do yourselves a favour people and don't come here.

"Average stay"
pinkskiddly, 28 Novembre 2019

The hotel is very central so handy for Rock City , shops & pubs ,would also recommend the car parking which saves a lot of hassle. The rooms are clean & comfortable. However the breakfast was basic-if you don't want an English breakfast you're out of luck! A few (quite sad looking) pastries & a terrible plate of dried up meats was the only option . If you want to order any different eggs , you'll be lucky to get them before you've finished eating! Probably wouldn't return, Premier Inn is better value for money .

"Lynda and Chris in Nottingham"
FrequentFlier101047, 27 Novembre 2019

Excellent hotel, convenient for city center activities close buses and trams. Large room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, pleasant decor. Good breakfast. Convenient also for city centre restaurants and nightlife. Very convenient for lace market.

"Overnight stay for an event at Nottingham rock cityrock city"
chrisj122019, 22 Novembre 2019

Arrived early, reception staff were very helpful and stored luggage whilst we waited for the check in time(allowing us to explore the city and Christmas market. The room was very tidy and beds comfortable. The location is also very good and was just around the corner from Nottingham rock city. I will definitely be returning again, very good value for money.

"Great location clean & comfy"
BellaPeterborough, 16 Novembre 2019

On arrival we were greeted by a cheery receptionist who explained the hotel and how to pay for the q park parking. The room was clean quiet and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located for both shopping and the theatre. Breakfast was lovely and eggs were made to order. Parking was £9 and the car park was a 5min walk away.

"Great location, nice hotel"
309daisyl, 16 Novembre 2019

My partner and I stopped off in Nottingham on our way home to Aberdeen, we wanted to explore the city centre and so needed a hotel within walking distance, but at a reasonable price. This hotel did not disappoint! It is a 5 minute walk to the shops/bars/restaurants in the centre. The hotel has its own car park with very limited spaces, so you should reserve ahead, for £15 per day, they are however in partnership with Qpark which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, they have a discount rate for £9.50 for 24 hours which is payable at the hotel, so you're better parking at Qpark. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and well presented. It does have a bar and restaurant and also partners with deliveroo so you can get food delivered directly to the room or to the restaurant area if you wish. Would definitely stay there again!

"Good Stay"
markledo, 14 Novembre 2019

We stayed with friends recently for one night and had an enjoyable stay The reception staff were friendly on arrival and departure Our room was comfortable and spacious and perfectly adequate for our needs The lady on the bar in the evening was pleasant and we had some good banter with her The hotel is well placed for the town centre and limited parking is available but must be booked in advance Breakfast was ok, however we had to pay full price for each person, this is not bad value if you are a big eater however as my wife is not a big breakfast eater £9 for a bowl of cereal and a cuppa is expensive , maybe guests should be able to select smaller and cheaper options We would use the hotel again next time we are in town

"Stop over for show."
STEPHENK103, 13 Novembre 2019

Ideally placed for our visit to the Royal centre. Check in and out was fast and very efficient. The room was a standard double which was clean and just what we wanted for one night. We only dined for breakfast which was a buffet style and offered a good selection. The food was very tasty and plenty of it, overall a very good place to stay. Would use it again and recommend it for travellers etc.

"One night in Nottingham "
604jayf, 11 Novembre 2019

Stayed here for one night the hotel is lovely clean and modern. The bar was nice and the staff are very welcoming and helpful check in and check out nice and quick and smooth We would stay here again and its a perfect location for anyone wanting to have a night out or for a gig at the rescue rooms/rock city

"business trip"
eszyma756306, 06 Novembre 2019

Perfect location, delicious food in culturally diverse restaurants nearby. Close to shops and cafes. Perfectly during the pre-Christmas period. Love. Close to communication points and near ... the best ... Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem ... If you know what I mean ;) I have been several times and would recommend.

"great stay"
Iain M, 02 Novembre 2019

nice hotel, clean, quiet,EXCELLENT STAFF AND LOCATION easy access to all transport- yards away close to all venues and eateries only ninus the toilet paper is too thin!!!!!!!! and it doesn't have a proper on site restaurant when it was the Ramada, it had a good restaurant but as I've already said there are plenty of places to eat local, or you can order food delivered wifi is a bit patchy

"Excellent base for a visit to the Theatre or a Concert!"
Phil M, 31 Octobre 2019

It is very easy to get here from the station - frequent trams take you two minutes from the door. We took the offer of an upgrade to the superior double - a really good room with splendid facilities and a swish shower room. Staff were friendly - we would go again!

"Great Holet would book again"
trudge72, 31 Octobre 2019

Great hotel clean, very good location, 24hr bar, room were spacious for a standard double bath and shower car park for drivers, if you go by train like we did its a 15-minute walk straight up through the shopping centre keep going up to the square a road at the side of Debenhams to the top look left, a road the other side of the theatre If you have mobility issues the tram from the train station drops, you vitally outside get off at the theatre stop The staff were great big shout out to Neil and Marcello the night wardens who looked after us till 4am credit to the company I would stay here again

"Wish I could stay longer"
Victoria M, 28 Octobre 2019

Was upgraded on arrival to a massive room, wish I had stayed a couple more nights to really make the most of the space and the bathroom. Room was spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The shower was divine and very easy to operate, perfect temperature in seconds, no fiddling trying to guess which way is hot or cold. Perfect city centre location for local bars and entertainment. Didn't find it too noisy being in city centre on a Saturday night but noise from clubbers is to be expected. Look forward to staying here again in the future.

"Great City Centre Hotel in Nottingham"
Peter R, 23 Octobre 2019

Stayed here for the first time when attending a show in town. I have visited Nottingham for this purpose on numerous occasions but usually stay in one of a couple of other 4 star-type hotels but for various reasons used this hotel instead. The welcome was great, the room enormous, and the general friendliness of the staff was impressive and didn't seem contrived. I think I have found my new favourite hotel in Nottingham

"Good hotel, shame about the price"
Alice F, 20 Octobre 2019

Overall a nice hotel that is in a great location for shopping, going to the theatre, restaurants etc. If your looking for somewhere quiet to stay, I wouldn't recommend this one as it can be very loud at night time. The room was clean and of a very good size. Customer service upon arrival and departure was poor. The duty manager was blunt and it didn't seem like she could be bothered to take time to explain things properly. When we got to the hotel we were offered the option of paying upon departure. This sounded good and so we agreed to this. However, we were not told that if we did this, the price would go up. Therefore, when we went to pay upon departure the price had gone up by £20 in comparison to the booking price. We were very unhappy about this and felt like this should have been explained upon arrival. Something for others to be aware of in future.

"City break"
fuerte100, 20 Octobre 2019

My only fault with the hotel was that there was no onsite restaurant open on an evening, you could order Deliveroo though. There were plenty of restaurants nearby though. If your going to drive you get discounted parking at Qparking just a couple of minutes walk away.

"Comfortable hotel, let down by breakfast"
Afterbrunel, 17 Octobre 2019

Decent hotel, central location, I slept well. Recommended car park is a long walk from the hotel; beware if you have awkward luggage. Reception staff helpful. After I booked I was emailed with an invitation to bid (i.e. pay extra) for a larger room. The quoted room sizes are standard rooms 226 sq ft; superior rooms, er, 226 sq ft. The big downer was a poor breakfast. Plates stacked high in the plate warmer, so that the plate you can reach is nowhere near the heating element; no fried eggs; scrambled egg cooked hard, nothing tasty. No artisan bread. Coffee luke warm (even after I had furtively used some hot water to warm the cups, which are massive, and stone cold.) The breakfast staff were very obviously demotivated, so any attention-to-detail issue was never going to be dealt with.

"BWNCC"
alunburnett2018, 13 Octobre 2019

Great location, comfortable rooms. Speed of checking in and out was exemplary. Right on doorstep for royal theatre. Car park next door although we used alternative as satnav struggled with given post code

"Ideal for concerts and shopping "
walshy1160, 10 Octobre 2019

We stayed at the BW in order to have a days shopping and to attend a show at the Concert Hall. The location is ideal for both, the Theatre Royal and Concert building being just a 2 min walk. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff provided a warm welcome and the rooms were amazing. Nice decor and well fitted out. The bed was large and really comfortable. Breakfast was first class. The only very small negative is that the hotel is located in the very busy night club area so there can be some external noise.

"Excellent hotel"
jayyy666, 06 Octobre 2019

Stayed here over a weekend. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is brilliant, smack bang in the middle of the town centre. Right next to the theatre. And the rooms are lovely and very spacious!

"comfortable stay"
Sandeep S, 04 Octobre 2019

the room i was booked for was nice and big and comfortable only issue just facing the road did hear some noises in the night > the approach to the room was rather strange first the lift then take the stairs to your room and if you have luggage which i had was a little difficult as i had asked the reception to keep one of my bags in luggage as did not need but she told me take it to the room as it is only on the first floor > otherwise very helpful staff gave me a charger for my phone> the breakfast was just ok

"Godawful noise late at night from the street"
ptskipton, 03 Octobre 2019

Probably ok if you're going clubbing - but the noise from clubs outside was unbelievable - my room was vibrating. Not very helpful reception staff - they saw me struggling with bags and didn't help, and were just quite dismissive when I was signing in. I asked to change to a quieter room and they just said all rooms were noisy and what did I expect from a city centre hotel. Pretty appalling service

"Lovely stay"
579iainj, 22 Septembre 2019

My wife and I stayed here in one of their superior rooms which was excellent and great value. It's located in the heart of the city and we'll definitely be returning here the next time we visit nottingham

"Excellent Hotel."
Getaway826005, 18 Septembre 2019

We had a lovely clean and comfortable room which was also very spacious. The Breakfast was very nice with a good choice. Staff were Friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is very close to some of Nottingham's attractions and a minute away from a Tram stop.

"Good overnight stay "
Hocha1, 16 Septembre 2019

Stayed 1 night with my son before attending an open day at Nottingham Uni. The hotel exceeded my expectations given what we'd paid and has clearly had a recent refurb. Beds comfortable, good night's sleep (woken by traffic at 06.30 but it's a city...), lovely new bathroom. Great central location. We weren't that impressed with the breakfast though. Fruit salad mostly underripe apple and pear and the croissants had the texture and taste of underbaked bread, cheap OJ. Not a dealbreaker - I'd stay here again.

"Perfect choice for Theatre Royal"
Adrian M, 08 Septembre 2019

Stayed here for one night, quite literally couldn't be any closer to the Theatre Royal - we could see it from out hotel room and only 2 minutes walk. Even if you aren't visiting the theatre then this is still perfect for exploring the city centre as everything is on hand - though you are on one of the nice quiet side streets. The hotel is located on a dead end street so not much passing traffic - perfect for a good nights sleep. The hotel does have small car park (approx 10 spaces), and you can book ahead to reserve car parking space - cost is £15 per night - alternatively there are plenty of other long term parking sites nearby. We stayed in an upgrade rom (room 102) and it was lovely - nice and spacious , great bathroom - though no bath only a good size walk in shower which suited us. Also had a nespresso machine, nice toiletries, bath robes etc. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The premium rooms appear to be in a quieter part of the hotel, so whilst there were a few stag do's booked in we didn't hear any noise and enjoyed a perfect nights sleep in a very comfortable large bed. Staff were great - the friendly greeting from Maria when we arrived and also when we checked out was much appreciated. Also Angela at breakfast was equally cheerful and very helpful, both are a credit to Best Western and this hotel Breakfast and bar all worked well, and were very clean - we were expecting a budget hotel, but this exceeded our expectations, would definitely recommend this and will be staying again when we are next in Nottingham.

"Perfect for Nottingham city centre especially Theatre Royal"
kiera1999, 02 Septembre 2019

This was a great hotel - fantastic location very close to the Theatre Royal which we were visiting, and to restaurants and bars. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. Room was very comfortable and clean - extra wide double bed which was very comfortable, windows you can actually open (a rarity these days and I like the fresh air), sparkling clean bathroom with a nice hot shower. Parking in Q Park 5 minutes' walk away only £9.50 with hotel discount - a very good price for a city centre. The air con/heating system didn't seem to work but this wasn't a problem for us as the temperature in the room was fine because we could open the windows. This will now be our hotel of choice next time we visit Nottingham city centre.

"Weekend break"
markpX4353MJ, 01 Septembre 2019

Stayed on 30 th aug till 1st sept. Right in the town centre in the midst of great pubs, restaurants, shops and close to bus and tram stops. Hotel was great, room cleaned daily, large room, huge double bed, tea and coffee making facilities in room also room has a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board , excellent value for money wouldn't hesitate to stop here again no complaints whatsoever.

"Lovely 2nd visit"
940jemmad, 31 Août 2019

We stayed here last night for my birthday we returned after a lovely stay last year...when arrived was able to check in room early which was great lovely friendly staff on desk...room is amazing lovley and big clean comftable..superb...close to bars, shops etc...only small downfall was this morning being woken up at 7.30am by drilling and roadworks directly outside hotel and right by our room 513...not nice when we booked a weekend away i think hotel should of told us about this happened as might of made us think twice before booking...as was very loud.

Staff excellent/warm friendly and attentive Only 10 spaces available on site however, Good deal with parking only 3 minutes away - only £9.50 at Talbot Parking (24hrs) Close to local amenities Clean beds/comfortable Big room Good internet Breakfast and Lounge facility fantastic Location - superb as 2 minutes to town square

"Great staff"
Darren C, 22 Août 2019

Stayed one night with my son and had a good stay, Staff are great and the rooms good. The shower was a little weak but ok. Breakfast was tasty with enough options to suite all tastes. Parking was a little expensive for £15 per night.

"Horse racing trip"

Staff friendly and helpful, clean and comfortable room. Well cooked and good selection of breakfast. Great location directly behind theatre and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Will be coming back again.

"Hidden Gem"
ataylo407463, 14 Août 2019

A lovely hotel in the heart of a bustling city centre. Great rooms, with complimentery toiletries, free wi-fi, very comfortable bed and lovely staff. The hotel is very clean and welcoming, with a lovely vibe.

"Superb"
Culture824690, 14 Août 2019

What a great hotel, could not fault. The new lounge bar was great and surprisingly good value. We also took advantage of the superior rooms at £20 I think and managed to book a space on site which was great as we couldn't find another hotel in the center with on site car parking

"Very helpful staff"
Louise R, 13 Août 2019

Great central location. Staff went out of their way to help you with everything from places to eat to getting around. Friendly warm welcome which made our family stay easy and relaxing. I would def recommend.

"Good"
Ben H, 07 Août 2019

Stayed there for a night on business met back very nice reception staff...very welcoming...room nice bed very comfortable...Bar area nice..my only negative was that evening meal is delivered via takeaways...deliveroo...but saying that there are plenty of eaters. in all good experience at this hotel...I do recommend this for a stay...

"Lovely place to stay"
Coachman3982, 06 Août 2019

Stayed for one night as a stop over whilst visiting Nottingham. Really found this hotel fantastically located and took advantage of being able to book our car into the limited parking available (in advance for a charge) so that it was secure whilst overnight in a central city location. Every member of staff I met was warm, welcoming, friendly and treated me like royalty. The room was modern, spacious, comfortable and well appointed. This was only a basic standard room but excellently appointed. I only have two comments of a negative nature, which are minor but significant. Firstly the whole hotel is ridiculously hot, thankfully the rooms are air conditioned so they can be made comfortable - but the public areas... wowsers!!! The second comment relates to the night porter and the product knowledge and ‘measures' knowledge when working the bar. I know operating a bar is probably not a primary function of their role, but if serving and charging they should know primarily what measures drinks are sold in. I think foremost he thought we were trying to trick him when we pointed out his mistake, but the bar menu clearly states correct volumes and to start with he wasn't very forthcoming. After eventually correcting his mistake with a lot of coaxing he was actually a warm and sociable fellow. I would suggest this probably a training issue and something management should be addressing. Would I stay again? Hell yes. Value for money, quality accommodation and attentive staff. With the city centre location it represents an attractive option when visiting Nottingham. Thanks for my stay, I'd love to come back if you'll have me Best Western Plus.

"Excellent hotel"
perla1, 04 Août 2019

Perfectly positioned hotel for shopping in the city center or a visit to the theatre Royal. It's literally at the end of the road two mins walk away.Excellent hotel very clean, helpful staff and lovely breakfast.

"Excellent place with a great team"
gstevie88, 02 Août 2019

Great hotel and the staff make the place. The main team always have a smile and will sort out anything in their power to do so. This is my hotel of choice and I travel almost every week to Nottingham.

"Stopover in Town"
Carlsberg2, 31 Juillet 2019

This hotel was easy to find using a sat nav. It is very well positioned in the middle of town next 100 yards from a tram stop. Within walking distance to centre and 15mins away from train station. Hotel has limited car parking so book space when booking room. Otherwise hotel can/will direct you to a 24hr pay car park nearby. Hotel looks deceptively small from the outside but is quite large and modern on the inside. Ideal for stopover in Nottingham.

"Lovely Superior rooms and friendly service with little touches"
lesleybMK, 28 Juillet 2019

Stayed here with my husband after being at another city centre hotel for a conference. For us personally, we loved it. The superior rooms have been beautifully and very recently done out, and seem to be very good value for money. We found the whole place to be welcoming and friendly. The manager took the trouble to show me a room before I booked it, and on arrival we had a special envelope addressed to us with some vouchers for a drink each at the bar. I did join the rewards scheme which I think unlocked a special rate and may have explained the drinks vouchers, but it was all a lovely touch, and did actually feel very rewarding!! The breakfast service was friendly, we spoke to Mo who seems to work extremely hard to please, and also Marcello on reception who was training and extremely bubbly and friendly. We didn't find the traffic noise too instrusive at all but would definitely prefer to be on the side of the hotel looking out over Upper Parliament St. Altogether we would love to return. Thanks to the team.

"graduation stay"
aredwo631390, 18 Juillet 2019

large, clean room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of space, toiletries, tea, coffee etc Central location to the city centre. Check in was efficient, on arrival I asked if our room could be ready earlier than the usual 3pm check in time, as we arrived early, (12pm) it was ready soon after.

"Good location but too noisy for a nights sleep"
LondonPoddy, 18 Juillet 2019

We stayed in room 304. Unfortunately, although the room is large and comfortably furnished it overlooks a very busy main road, several bus stops and traffic lights. The huge buses run every 10 minutes throughout the night. The aluminium double glazing is old and very narrow, possibly 6 mm, with no real sound insulation. Further the two sliding window locks are loose and its a real struggle to close, once open - my wife failed manage it. I managed but because the windows are old spec and not air tight there is no sound insulation. The air-conditioning is also loud but not as loud as the air conditioning units outside the building. Parking is £ 15. Room charge for a Tuesday night was £ 125 but did not include breakfast which was £ 8.90 each and was average. We didn't try the coffee but there was coffee machine from Krea which uses powdered milk and terrible coffee. Not recommended if you are on business and need a good nights sleep. The location of the hotel is good for restaurants etc so it depends on the individual needs

"Good value for money in a city centre"
Kate G, 17 Juillet 2019

Nice an close to city centre, friendly staff with good amenities. Some rooms slightly dated but currently under refurbishment, newly decorated suites 10/10. New bar and reception area which was lovely although drinks a little on the pricey side. Stayed here last year, this year and would definitely return again shoud we come to Nottingham again.

"A good place to stay"
BruxStu, 15 Juillet 2019

We did one night. The room was clean, tidy, well presented & had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy. We didn't have a view but that didn't matter as we were in & out. The upshot though, considering it is only a two minute walk from the busy theatre end of town, was that there was no outside noise, which guaranteed a good night's sleep. Breakfast was same as most hotels nowadays, full English, deli, cereals. The food was hot, fresh, tasty & well presented.

"Nice enough"
Diclat, 11 Juillet 2019

The room was ok, albeit a little tired, but had everything you needed. The bed was super comfy and the aircon in the room was great. Reception and bar staff were pleasant and cheerful. You order evening food through the bar team to just eat and there is something for every taste you could imagine. It was hand delivered within 25 mins and the bar provided plates and cutlery. Breakfast was nice, cheerful staff and something for most people's taste. All in all for a city centre hotel, I would recommend.

"Disappointed with receptionist"
Peter M, 07 Juillet 2019

I would recommend this hotel, good value, great condition and lovely staff. However I phoned receptionist to request an extension lead in my room. Christina told me that they didn't have any. I asked if Maintainance had any and she told me they don't use them and there was nothing she could do. I then went out into the corridor and asked a lovely lady from house keeping who got me one in 5 minutes. Christina has no business working in hospitality, she clearly couldn't care less any guests even when I confronted her with this.

"Location"
Venture699868, 05 Juillet 2019

The best part of the hotel is it's location. It is a five minute walk to all the shops and restaurants. Great location if you wanted to go out as there are a lot of pubs and nightclubs within a short walk. A tram stop is just down the street. Rooms are big for a standard room and there was an ironing board in our room. Best part of the room was the wall radiator in the bathroom to dry towels. The beds are comfortable.

"Good location and great breakfast"
Ripon123, 04 Juillet 2019

Great location if you are visiting the city centre. Plenty of parking nearby. Theatre/concert hall is literally just round the corner, which was the reason for our stay. Loads of restaurants within easy walking distance. Room was adequate and clean other than what looked like an ink stain on the carpet. Cooked breakfast was excellent with quality bacon and sausages, rather than some of the cheap stuff you can get in some large hotels. Staff pleasant and helpful.

"Hen do"
Austin8606, 03 Juillet 2019

22 hens stayed here for the weekend. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Our air con in the triple room wasnt the greatest but wasnt a massive problem. The breakfast included was lovely and the hotel 24hr bar was very nice would definitely stay again

"Best western"
Sightseer51798947477, 02 Juillet 2019

Very clean and comfortable beds I love the music button make it bluetooth in the bedroom good coffee good size room I would stay here again and chill drink was cheap £4 a drink some room you get a free drink with it who ever in the room

"Good Business Hotel"
Companion08880016793, 26 Juin 2019

The stay was overall good. The breakfast gives you choices between a traditional English breakfast (bacon, eggs, cheese, grilled tomatoes, beans, hash browns, etc.) and the traditional continental option too. The breakfast servicing staff is very good. Good coffee and tea options. Rooms are big enough and basic. Not much of a view on one side of the hotel and that's what I got. The other side is slightly better.

"Great City Centre Location"
282mollyb, 25 Juin 2019

Night away booked and wanted a city centre location not far from anywhere. Parking is payable at £15.00 overnight, I understand some may find this a little expensive but for a bustling city centre it is reasonable, especially when you compare it to what other cities such as London charge in their hotels. Cristina checked us in, we had been on the road since 4am so we wanted an early check in. She arranged this for us and was professional yet fun to talk with and made a fab first impression. The room was gorgeous -RM104. Spacious, a comfy bed (one of the best nights sleep I had) and some cool extra features such as a sound button in the bathroom so you can hear the TV! Breakfast was good - I think they were undergoing refurbishment in there but Mo and Angela did a great job of keeping things clear and topped up. Maybe one small thing- have a clearer sign for the parking? I had to go in and ask for directions even though it was literally around the corner. Just makes one less thing for the receptionists to explain! Apart from that- great stay and we shall return

"Friendly staff"
Experience345513, 20 Juin 2019

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights, the location is great as its just a couple of minutes walk to the city centre. Whats really endearing about the hotel is its very friendly staff, I would like to especially write about the new trainee Dirah who was extremely helpful in ensuring a quick check in and in general taking great care of all the guests at the hotel. The staff are very polite and have an enduring quality of putting their guests at ease. What could have been better though is the Wi-fi connection , it was slow and was getting disconnected often. The breakfast was decent and the room size was adequate

"Excellent hotel"
vodkatonicplease, 13 Juin 2019

Right in the centre of the city this is a great hotel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and a decent size. The bed was extremely comfortable. Nice bathroom with shower over the bath so everyone is catered for. Very good breakfast choice , buffet style for the cooked , personally prefer cooked to order but it was still very good. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

"Great central city hotel"
teresajowle, 09 Juin 2019

Booked this hotel for 2 nights and was offered an upgrade which I took. The room was spacious and had extras such as robes, Elemis toiletries, Nespresso coffee. Lovely clean rooms and fantastic central location close to the theatre. Would definitely recommend this hotel, couldn't fault the room, location and room.

"Hard to find but Hospitable "
shelliem11, 07 Juin 2019

Have visited this hotel on a number of occasions though very difficult to find the car park . Reception staff very welcoming, well equipped rooms, great WiFi and drinks reasonably priced . Ideal location to explore Nottingham city centre.

"Value for money city stay"
Ryegella, 04 Juin 2019

Ideal location for city stay. Found all the stay very friendly and helpful. The standard double room was a reasonable size, but did not like the king size bed whihc is 2 mattresses zipped together. The main probelm was the quality of the mattress as not very thick and hard to sleep on. Had better nights sleep in a well known budget hotel. There was no air con and it got very hot and stuffy. Windows would open but to the noise of the street life as faced noght club and pub. Avoid weekend nights. The breakfast was good. Good selection and easy to order items to be cooked to order. Overall got a discount through BW rewards that made this value for money. Would come again but try premium rooms.

"Good rooms and central location"
Stephanie B, 02 Juin 2019

Stayed here for two days and was a return visit. Upgraded to deluxe room which was beautifully decorated. However did have to ask for extra refreshments and housekeeping walked in twice despite do not disturb sign. Other than that lovely stay.

"Good value for money"
LindyChelmsford, 30 Mai 2019

Comfortable stay in a convenient location and at a very reasonable price. Some noise from the city but to be expected on a Saturday night. I didn't have breakfast but cost for this was reasonable too. I would stay here again.

"Fantastic Wedding Venue!"
debbiem212, 19 Mai 2019

We highly recommend Best Western Plus Nottingham City Centre to host and celebrate your wedding. From the first day of meeting Paulina and choosing our date to the invaluable advice whilst planning our day, they made it so easy. Our day itself was magical. The hotel looked beautiful, all staff members were fantastic and so helpful and friendly. We never expected our day to be so stress free, all of our guests had a fabulous time!

"Business visit"
Phil R, 17 Mai 2019

Business type hotel- City Centre as it says. Room 6th floor - just OK. Staff at the reception - very good. Restaurant staff exceptionally good - and food also. The chef was available to talk to, and great personality. Meeting rooms good and always kept clean and tidy

"Dissappointed on the wheelchair access"
Caroline_Millar, 17 Mai 2019

The room was lovely, the food was great the staff were super however the access into the hotel and around it were difficult due to me being a wheelchair user. Entrance in was via the car park and had a steep ramp. Difficult since I am in a one arm drive manual chair. Also to get into the bar I had to go back out to the car park and in via the staff entrance. Yes, everyone was great and gave me plenty of assistance but being able to do it myself would have been nicer. The door to get to the toilets on floor one were also very difficult to open.

"Great value for money"
myoud, 14 Mai 2019

Hotel and facilities were excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. My room was huge and exactly as I requested due to inability to walk far. My bed was massive and for once there were power points by the mirror and a light over the mirror in the bedroom.. This is something sadly lacking in many hotels. Good range of toiletries. One very slight niggle having to carry the kettle from tea tray over to power point as none by tea tray. Not good for someone with disability to be carrying kettle. This was just a small niggle.Everything else was excellent. Would certainly stay there again without hesitation.

"Good location to town"
Tourist717393, 12 Mai 2019

The location is good and rooms are adequate but it is a no thrills hotel. There is no atmosphere and it is somewhere you would stay if you were in Nottingham overnight for work. My husband was working and therefore it was convenient for me to be able walk main shopping area.

"Very good hotel with great service"
AshleyG9645, 12 Mai 2019

Stayed 3 nights and found the overall experience very good. Spacious high spec room, large comfy double bed, lovely bathroom, everything one would expect. Breakfast was good in a delightful large conservatory dining room. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only criticisms I would have is limited parking and they had issues with the key system and we had to have a pair of new keys on two occasions which was very frustrating. Overall good value for money £89.61 per night B&B compared to other chain hotels we have stayed in.

"Terrible"
nick k, 11 Mai 2019

We stayed in room 316- cost £120 p/n. Had everything you needed, apart from the most important thing, A MODERN BED! this thing seems to be over 20 years old with a dodgy topper on it. My hips and back are bruised from the springs. Its like sleeping on a gate! Room also needs touch ups. As a regular visitor to Nottingham, i have to say, never again will i used this hotel

"Awful!"
Inspire00570792041, 09 Mai 2019

The bed was two lumpy hard single beds zipped together which was absolutely horrible. The pillows were terribly thin. The breakfast was freezing cold, the staff didn't speak to us once. My partner left his phone on the bedside table, we rang Reception and they spoke to housekeeping who denied the phone being in there. They didn't even let me speak to the person in charge of housekeeping.. it was 100% left in the room! For £103 for one night, I wouldn't of paid £50 for it.

"Best western"
Connector23661160842, 05 Mai 2019

As always friendly and very welcoming receptionists :) the bed was more than comfortable, had a great nights sleep. Cleaning staff also very friendly :) Great location in the centre of nottingham with plenty to do around. A very enjoyable stay. Thankyou.

"Excellent hotel for the price"
Roving39918525146, 04 Mai 2019

Bed was massive, girlfriend didnt wake me up once despite how much she thrashes about in her sleep so five stars there. Staff were friendly, helpful and didn't laugh when I asked dumb questions so brilliant there. It's within walking distance of loads of things to do, places to eat and shops to go to. If you're having a day out in Nottingham I'd go for this hotel, will definitely stay here again I the future

"Good one night stay."
satan, 04 Mai 2019

Opposite Crowne Plaza hotel for those who will come here, as sat nav kind of misleadingly leads you in a different direction( at least mine). Good hotel, good for a night stay, clean, pleasant, king size bed was very comfy. Car park needs to be pre booked or there is one behind Crowne Plaza and hotel will discount you the price, so cheaper to leave there than actually at the hotel. Breakfast was good, not mega large variety, but good for everyones taste! Has some bar opposite, so some people made a big noise at night time, but nothing major. Would recommend!

"Fantastic hotel, location and staff"
NatashaAimee, 01 Mai 2019

We stayed at this hotel last night and it was fantastic. When I booked I was emailed with the option to upgrade for £20 which I did and the room we got was beautiful. The view was of a roof top but otherwise this room was exceptional. Perks were it is beautifully decorated, super comfy bed, Elemis products in the bathroom, a gusto coffee machine and pods, plus a drinks voucher! The location was absolutely perfect, it's next door to the Theatre, Concert Hall, Corner House and town centre. A short walk from the castle and the Motorpoint arena. The staff were all lovely and couldn't do more for us. Highly recommended and we will return.

"Hen party weekend"
franks123457, 28 Avril 2019

We came here at the weekend for a hen, the staff were helpful, polite and very accommodating. They organised transport when we couldn't, the hotel was clean and very comfortable beds. Would 100% stay here again.

"For a Wedding Notts City Centre"
PURPKING, 26 Avril 2019

I was back in Nottingham for a good friends wedding, I wanted to return to another Best Western to see how they vary. I have to see although it was 30 pounds more than my last room in Nottingham. It was worth it, the room was huge even by the standards of other 4 stars I've stayed! There was more than enough space to use my wheelchair with ease, bathroom was very spacious with intuitive shower controls. Bed was amazing as ever even though one side was creaky it didn't effect the GOLDILOCKS of the sleep experience I now expect. From Best Western, Room service after five in partnership with Deliveroo is great offering you to pay for food by cash or card. Staff friendly and helpful, had a problem fitting in the lift with my chair and was helped out. So only complaint lifts too small but workable. Great location in heart of city.

"Suited our needs"
sandra b, 20 Avril 2019

The room and bathroom were clean apart from some pubic hairs that we found on the duvet cover, not pleasant! Otherwise our check in was very smooth and our room was ready early. After I had booked I received an email from the hotel saying if I wanted to park at the hotel then I needed to pre book, I rang up straight away but was told that the parking was all full but was given clear directions to a car park which was only a couple of minutes walk away from the hotel, they also gave us a discount for parking there which was considerably cheaper than using the hotel car park. We had a room overlooking a road and facing another hotel but it was very quiet and we had a good night's sleep, we had a drink in the upstairs bar and breakfast here too which was good, plenty of choice and eggs cooked fresh to order and the breakfast room was very pleasant to sit in, the staff were all friendly apart from the receptionist when we arrived who wasn't very welcoming, she just booked us in, no smile or ' how was your journey etc.' Apart from this we did enjoy our stay here and would return.

"Decent stay during the renovations"
Jason S, 18 Avril 2019

Overall we had an enjoyable stay, The room was a large size with a good size bathroom. The breakfast was both plentiful and enjoyable. There were renovation work going off within the hotel but as we stayed over a weekend we were not disturbed by any of it. Parking is an issue and I recommend you pre-book it at the time of booking. The only down side was the occasional outside noise we could here which was probably down to the windows/frames being old and requiring replacing. But it would not stop us staying here in the future.

"Ok, could be improved. "
BILLINGSSR, 16 Avril 2019

Me & my partner enjoyed our stay. However, there could be several improvements to ‘upgraded rooms'. Superior rooms are not much greater than the standard offered. Wasn't great also as there has been construction going on for several weeks now. Could possibly stay again but not really expecting too much.

"Very disappointed"
Peterbarlow1388, 04 Avril 2019

The hotel was shambles! Extremely noisy outsode. Windows were damaged. Needs new soundproof windows, needs to ensure staff are aware of updated charges for the car park they have a relationship with. Find a new company that allow you to exit and return without having to pay so much each time. Shut the hotel for a few daysdduring refurbishment of access areas as I had to walk through muck and grime, squeeze past contractors and step over wires, tools and buckets that presented a major health and safety risk.

"Enjoyable overnight stay"
Venture52595718545, 01 Avril 2019

Excellent hotel, the staff were all so friendly, and very helpful. The location is perfect if you are going to the theatre royal, literally a stones throw away, I would recommend to everyone . Room was spacious, very clean. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice

"Well situated hotel"
Curious28403747168, 01 Avril 2019

We use this hotel because it is in the centre of Nottingham, easy to get around. The tram is a couple of minutes walk away. Buses just down the road as well as the main shopping area. Ideal hotel for business stay or leisure.

"Disappointing for the price"
MartinTafft, 25 Mars 2019

I think that, if an hotel is undergoing some refurbishment, it would be nice to be informed of this at the time of booking in order to assess whether to look at alternatives. We weren't informed and therefore arrived to find that a temporary reception had been set up and limited lift access was available. It hardly set the mood for the stay to have to endure this less than auspicious start. Whilst the room had everything that we would have expected, it wasn't really particularly attractive or especially pleasant. It wasn't even all that clean. Hotels have changed in recent years, but it was still a little surprising to find that the restaurant (other than for breakfast) is only available for food delivered in from Deliveroo from one of a small number of selected local restaurants. The location of the hotel is certainly a real plus as it is very central. Maybe it will be a more pleasant place to visit when the refurb is finished.

"Far too noisy for quality sleep!!"
johnnyboats, 22 Mars 2019

Fabulous location. Lovely front of house staff. You have to pay extra for parking (not clear on booking.com). At night, the noise coming from the bars/clubs below is almost intolerable. Drunken behaviour and screaming/shouting all throughout the night and well into the following morning. Then at 7.30am they began their maintainence work to the new reception and started drilling. No sleep and then a three hour drive home. Reception staff were delightful, however they were very unconcerned about our noisy night. I feel this is because they must hear it from customers all the time. What can they do about it? Not a lot.

mobah, 19 Mars 2019

Lovely hotel, great location, comfortable rooms and spotlessly clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, would not want to stay anywhere else on our next visit to Nottingham , didn't eat at this hotel but restaurant looked lovely and once again very clean and inviting, secure luggage store is always a plus point for me will definitely return in the near future,

"Sleepless night, bad customer issue management"
Benja_Switz, 18 Mars 2019

I staid at the hotel on the night of 6th of March. pleasant staff at check-in, and the room interior was fine (my room was renovated). but I realised very early that the windows were offering no sound isolation against the pedestrian crossing's regular beeping at the traffic light just beneath my room... Then came the real issue... the fire alarm went on 4 times between 23.00 and 02.00, every time by mistake (supposedly due to renovation works below the hotel), screaming every time between 10 and 30 seconds !!... Needless to say that this was a bad night.. By the 4th time, you just expect it to happen again and don't go back to a good sleep... Upon check-out the morning after, all the staff did was to offer apologies, but when asking for a compensation, they said they were not responsible and could not do anything... For me the hotel management had several hours to review the issue and could have been proactive in the morning in approaching guests with a nice gesture (financial or else) in order to "ease the pain"... Morale of the story, I'm a business traveler who will look for other alternatives on my next trip to Nottingham...

"Short stay"
Road01999472192, 17 Mars 2019

All staff were very helpful and quick at checking me in and out. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, very attractive and comfortable. The Best Western is ideally situated near the city centre and my stay was for Rock City/Tap n Tumbler/Albert's which were a couple of minutes walk. I will stay here again and again on my regular visits to the city for rock concerts etc

"Overnight stay"
tisard2016, 28 Février 2019

Very much enjoyed my stay here. Room was lovely, bed comfy. Breakfast was enjoyable. I forgot my toiletries, was provided with toiletries free of charge. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. I would for sure stay here again

"Deliveroo restaurant!"
BFFanatic, 19 Février 2019

Chose this hotel as it had a restaurant only to find you order via deliveroo. Maybe I am old fashioned. Maybe I should have tried it. But felt like I best western had exaggerated a basic detail. Anyway plenty of restaurants nearby :-)

"A pleasant hotel"
jason r, 14 Février 2019

Me and my wife stayed here for two nights (Monday and Tuesday). On arrival we were upgraded which was a nice touch.Best place to park is the Q car park just round the corner (5 mins)£9.50 for 24 hours. The room was large and very clean.Brekfast was delicious with plenty to choose from.Would stay here again.

"Comfortable and functional "
PCliveR, 08 Février 2019

It's not an exceptional hotel in any way but the staff were friendly and helpful, check in was efficient and the room clean and bed comfortable. All the essential boxes ticked. Location was perfect and very central.

"So cold and noisy"
greatsnoring, 01 Février 2019

What a joke-4*. Freezing cold room, very noisy as no double glazing. Bar was like a morgue. Staff were lovely but very apologetic about what a dive this place is. If this is Nottingham-s best, I suggest you don't bother visiting. I will never stay at a best Western again. It is dire. The highlight of the trip wad the journey home. I always thought premiere inns were bad but I've managed to find somewhere worse. Do not bother staying here. It is really bad.

"Birthday bash"
juliebD2988IF, 27 Janvier 2019

We came here for one night found the rooms very clean and comfortable staff polite and smiling. Breakfast was lovely. My only complaint was we was in a front room on 4th floor as the noise was horrendous Saturday night it was so was very lively very noisy kept us awake most of night the double glazing wasn't great. Other than that no complaints. Thank you

"Okay but ......."
andyt937, 19 Janvier 2019

We decided to stay here for one night due to its proximity to the Masonic halls we were visiting next day. It is in a good location with the Nottingham Theatre Royal being a 30 seconds walk away. There are plenty of nice pubs and restaurants around the hotel and the shops are 10 mins walk away. It's situated on good bus an tram routes. The hotel itself says it is a plus but I have to say it's little more than a travel lodge type hotel. It is clean and the rooms are well appointed. Take your own toiletries because there was one very small bottle of shower butter in the bathroom to share between the two of us. We didn't try the breakfast at £8.95 per head so I can't comment on this. The bar area on the 1st floor is nice and serves tea and coffee if required but is not open until the evening. We paid £53.10 for one night. The car park is small and needs booking in advance for an extra charge. Other than that the Q park around 300m away has an arrangement with the hotel of £9.50 per 24 hours. You can pull up for 15 mins outside the hotel to drop off your luggage before parking the car. The let down for this hotel really are the staff. They are less than enthusiastic and appear to be disinterested at times. In addition they sometimes give out wrong information when asked. I think a course on smiling and greeting is needed for some of them. All in all a clean nice hotel in a good location. Would stay at Roomzzz just up the road next to a large car park next time though.

"Plus?"
IanRR255060, 18 Janvier 2019

Decent sized, clean and comfortable rooms with great views on the southside. Excellent location for us tourists, I thought. Best access from the Railway is via tram to Royal Centre. There, theatres, shops, pubs and restaurants abound. There is construction work going on. I've had bad experiences with building noise in hotels and like to be told in advance. Can't find any mention in my booking, not sure if this is the hotel's oversight or mine. The Wi-Fi signal peters out before it reaches the 5th floor. 5.5mbps down (65 where I am now), uploads failed altogether. Posting a letter would be faster. This Best Western was a BW+Plus. Whatever the Plus is, is still a mystery.

"Great location in Nottingham city centee"
Elizabeth C, 13 Janvier 2019

We visited for a Saturday night stay in January & enjoyed our time here. Our standard room was very comfortable. The location in the city centre is excellent, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and bars, as well as the theatre and cinema complex. The buffet breakfast was great, served in a bright & airy conservatory area. We paid £15 to park in the hotel's car park, and were disappointed to find that we had to move our car the next morning when we checked out, and pay to use another car park for the day. I would recommend using the nearby Q park instead, which is better value. Overall, this is a good city centre hotel & I would return.

"Great city center hotel"
shiltoncarol, 06 Janvier 2019

We stayed here when visiting the city for the first time. The hotel is right in city centre, close to the theatre, and market square, and a tram stop. We found it very clean with very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was included and was standard. The only downside on our visit, was their was a wedding at the hotel on our first night, Which were informed about as it meant that the dining room was not available, Not a problem as we had arranged to eat out anyway, the little niggle we had was that we were directly over the reception, so could not only hear the wedding, but could see into it as well, through the window and conservatory roof. The music although not too loud was disruptive trying to get my granddaughter to sleep. The music did go off at midnight prompt, but felt that the hotel could have given us a higher room, and the ones on this floor more for the wedding guests. The second night was very peaceful. Looking at further questions, my granddaughter uses a wheelchair, the accessible entrance is round the side via the car park.

"New Years Eve stay & gala dinner "
Char-Pei88, 04 Janvier 2019

Let's start with the hotel - great location, just a 5 minute walk into the town and Market Square which still had the ice rink and other food stalls and bars which was lovely. Parking at the hotel we reserved - it's right and had to ask someone to move car to get in reserved space but no issues and sorted quickly. Is still £12 to park here and Q Park so depends whether want the faff. We upgraded to a superior room and wow was well worth the little cost to do so. Recently upgraded - so much so the wardrobes still smelt new. Nespresso coffee machine and very smart and modern facilities. Breakfast was great too - lots to choose from and buffet style. New Years Eve gala dinner - this was good and well organised and the food was great. As other people have mentioned: shame the DJ didn't pay more modern tunes or even some from after 00s! With the most recent I think being Spice Girls. It is mostly the older age range which go to this which is fine and still had a great time and would go again - but maybe not for a few years. But for the price you can't really go wrong! Would definitely visit hotel again as a great base whilst in Nottingham.

Negatives Impossible to find using the hotel post code Deliveroo service does not deliver on service or price Took over an hour to arrive 2 pizzas 2 sweets £37.00,And cold to boot I don't think this is value at all Positives Use the local Q park as a post code, the hotel has an arrangement resulting in a reasonable charge for your stay 2 minutes walk and your there Very friendly receptionist efficient booked us a taxi which arrived on time. Nice clean room comfy beds tea making what more do you need Buffet type breakfast of great quality again friendly staff nothing too much trouble Wonderful experience please sort out the delivery food and the parking instructions and you will produce an exceptional service

"Christmas Party Stop Over"
111nileshp, 15 Décembre 2018

Needed room so that I could stop over after the company Christmas Party. Booked the room online which was a pleasant experience. Check in was a lovey smooth process and I was in my room within 10 minutes. I was placed on the 4th floor and also provided with a letter from the management advising of Christmas parties being held at the hotel on certain dates. A nice touch. The hotel doesn't pretend to be anything else than what it is. My room was well sized with a double bed. Bathroom was clean and looked new. Signs of a recent make over were visible but that didn't put me off. The shower was powerful and hot. Pleased to have a safe and drink making facilities. My nights sleep in the bed was comfortable and taking into consideration there being a Christmas party being hosted downstairs, I didn't hear a thing and I slept very well. Checkout was just as smooth as check in. I would use this place again.

"Picking up our daughter from university "
mariarE6145MY, 15 Décembre 2018

I had booked this hotel a few months ago and managed to book an executive room for a very reasonable price and I have to say we were more than happy with the room, it was very spacious the bed was massive and very comfortable. The staff were warm and friendly. Although we didn't have breakfast it was offered. It only took us 10 minutes to walk into Nottingham and the hotel was happy for us to leave our car in the car park after we checked out.

"Overnight Stay"

Great location within walking distance of all Nottinghams City Attractions.. Staff very welcoming. Rooms well equipped clean and comfortable. Didnt hear anything during the night to say we were in the middle of the city..

"How can they tell?"
Beech79, 11 Décembre 2018

Busy reception and quite a wait, that was not too much of a problem. The room was fine, shower good and all was well. Took me a while to find the place from the public car park but find it I did. On booking I checked to see if they had a restaurant and they confirmed they had one on the first floor. They had to check to see if they could supply a gluten free breakfast. Product knowledge? On arriving at the restaurant to see bare tables and some tables on top of each other I knew there was a problem. I asked how the restaurant worked and they told me it was done with their partner Deliveroo. I asked how did they deal with special diets. The response was it will be in the brochure. Only Pizza Express did gluten free. So, I asked how they managed contamination and who was ultimately responsible . I was told Deliveroo?? The hotel is the main agent, takes the money etc. I was nervous and decided not to eat there. The room turned out to be noisy and the walls very thin Breakfast was just ok and functional. I left there hungry and disappointed

"Beds that go clunk in the night!!!!!!"
sheffieldblock, 10 Décembre 2018

We went to Nottingham for the Christmas market and a weekend away before Christmas as my job means I have to work through Christmas. We was getting there early to make the most of the weekend and was going to leave our case at the hotel as we had to park in the Q park a couple of streets away, (an extra £9.50 for 24 hours with hotel discount) but when the Lady eventually found our booking a room was ready. So dropped our case off in the room. The hotel is located in the town centre and close to the tram stop, plenty of places to eat and drink, close to the Christmas market. The room was lovely and clean but the beds, oh my gosh, for £207 per night for a basic room with no breakfast I'd expect a comfy bed. The beds are 2 singles fastened together with a topper so they are nice and big, however my half of the bed felt like I was sleeping on chain mail with all the chinking, boings and digging in of springs. My partners half creaked and clunked, we both tossed and turned and ached the next morning. In the bath there was the big metal disc that usually covers the drain just randomly sat in the bath, the window handle was literally hanging on (which I reported in case it did fall off and hit someone below). Then to top it off someone previously had used some of the coffees and put the empty wrappers back upside down to make them look like they was full!! There was only 4 little milks left in the room, it takes 2 to make the coffee look coloured, I know you can get more from reception but when you're in your night attire you don't wan to get dressed to go to reception for more supplies. There was toiletries in the bathroom which looked really nice, (can't comment on what they are like as we take them to our local homeless charity) We was on the third floor right at the end so it was really quiet which was a plus. This is the most we have paid for a basic room and it certainly wasn't worth the money, we have stayed in little B&B's for a third of the price and had more luxurious rooms with comfy beds.

"Fab weekend in Nottingham"
28south, 02 Décembre 2018

Had a fab 3 days 2 night stay in Nottingham. Stayed at the Best Western Plus , all the staff were friendly and very helpful especially Jack on breakfast service , they were under a lot of pressure due to being under staffed and no manager . He couldn't have been more helpful also Debbie on reception was really helpful too .

"Annual Xmas day n night with my Mum "
X5143ZCnataliec, 02 Décembre 2018

We stopped at the best western plus on the 30th nov and loved it. We had ore booked parking as parking is limited on site at the hotel. We arrived about 11.30 to go and do some shopping so nipped into reception to get out parking permit. Natalie on reception was lovely and advised a room was clean if we wanted to get settled in out room. During the night my mum suffers with leg cramps n had a particularly bad attack in the night (quinine in tonic water helps) I called reception n the night man said they normally only do food but I explained the situation n he went to the bar to find a bottle of tonic water and bought it up for us as I was in my pjs as it was 2am. All the staff we encountered on our stay were lovely and the hotel is in a fab location to get to the centre for shops and restaurants.

"Best location"
yazan787, 30 Novembre 2018

What i liked most about hotel was the room, location and service which was the best thing. They helped me to find my lost bag with talking to the coach office and they gave the needed information. I got after 3 days. location was the best thing,it was near to the university which help me a lot so i did everything needed easily, also there is a lot of cafes and different restaurants near.

"Not what I was expecting form a Four star hotel"
364steve, 28 Novembre 2018

Before I start I would like to say the staff were very friendly on arrival.I was on the 3rd floor and the lift only goes up one floor then you have to walk up flight of stairs to reach each floor, not the best if you have heavy cases or struggle to get up stairs.i ordered. A superior room and would not like to think what the standard rooms are like, however nice and clean.the shower were the poorest I have had in a hotel and this was a real let down.

"Shopping and concert"
Alan P, 27 Novembre 2018

Location brilliant right in a big and great city centre. First time in Nottingham and we'll impressed. Hotel was spotless everywhere. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good. Parking at the hotel no problem. Room was perfect bed very comfy and shower room great. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely return.alan.Hull.

"Slept well"
Blakkers, 25 Novembre 2018

A warm welcome from lovely Debbie and her colleague. A good nights sleep in a clean comfortable room and I did not hear much noise, despite the city centre location. As mentioned by other reviewers pre-book a parking space if available.

"It's ok, but not much more"
Frequent_Flyer1234, 22 Novembre 2018

So the positives, location and the room was very clean. I wouldn't have said it was anywhere near a four star hotel though. It's basic, but as I say, clean. Very basic toiletries indeed, but very fluffy towels which was great. The room was adequate, had what I needed. There is no restaurant as such for an evening meal, it's only deliveroo. But there are lots of restaurants very close by if that's not an issue for you. Parking is very limited at the hotel and the Q Park is a 5 min walk away. Breakfast was only £7.95 but again it was pretty basic and not what I'd expect from a four star hotel. Again breakfast was not terrible, and the breakfast staff were lovely, but I'd expect more. I think the hotel is an ok choice, but if you are expecting typical 4 star, I wouldn't say this met that standard.

"Practically perfect"
GaryMoody, 19 Novembre 2018

Hotel is right in the middle of town ideally situated for any town centre needs (i was going to a gig just around the corner) The room was very spacious, warm and a lovely comfortable bed Bathroom was large enough and a lovely shower Very good breakfast The parking cost £12 which could be seen as expensive but I usually stay outside of the city centre and pay over £6 each way for a cab If I have any criticism (and this is quite petty) the signs in the car park hang down quite low and hit my hatchback when I opened it-no real damage and, as I said-quite petty Definitely be staying here again

"A pleasant hotel in a good location."
valerier471, 12 Novembre 2018

We were going to a music gig on Sunday so wanted somewhere close to Rock City. This hotel was perfectly placed. We were offered an upgrade which we took and were very pleased with the room. It was roomy with TV, tea and coffee making, sofa and a comfy bed, the bathroom was large with a great shower. There was not much of a view, but overlooked the main road. The tram stops were close as were shops and restaurants. Because the carpark is small you are only able to drop off luggage and use the large multistorey Q carpark unless you have booked a space in the small hotel carpark. They are quite tight spaces if you have a large car. You do receive a discount at the Q carpark when staying at the hotel. Breakfast is self service with plenty of choice. The staff are friendly and helpful. When asked at the end of our stay if everything was OK we did mention that house-keeping had not cleaned our room yesterday by 4.20 and had phoned to ask if we wanted it done then. Of course it was too late as we were relaxing before getting changed to go out. The staff apologised and said that they would ask what happened there. A good hotel for a short stay in Nottingham City Centre.

"Wedding "
markoY3099GE, 09 Novembre 2018

Best western plus Very cosy room great bed quiet location very clean bathroom lovely fluffy towels great wedding breakfast Reasonable drink prices Would recommend But awful to find give yourself plenty of time No car park 4/5

"Perfect!"
Karen E, 07 Novembre 2018

My sisters and I could find no fault with this hotel. We were given a triple room (not something all hotels can offer) with a lovely view over the city. Staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was scrumptious. It has the added bonus of parking, and is within easy walking distance of all that Nottingham has to offer. We will certainly return. (A trip to Notty would be well worthwhile in the run up to Christmas: the Christmas market/ice skating on the Market Square will be amazing.)

"Centrally and conveniently located hotel"
Michael W, 06 Novembre 2018

The hotel is located just a minute walk away from the Royal Centre tram station and nearby restaurants and shopping centre. The room is clean, large with nice views overlooking the city centre and beyond. The bed and pillows are clean and comfortable. It would be even better if the room is equipped with a fridge. Staff are helpful and friendly.

"SUPER"
Punkpanther, 29 Octobre 2018

Upon arrival we were informed that we had been upgraded to a Superior room. These rooms are lovely. The staff on reception and also in the Breakfast room were excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

"Clean, basic and central with limited parking"
OmarK_uk, 28 Octobre 2018

Tucked away behind a side street next to the Theatre may explain the low price, but proximity to city centre and on-site parking (must book space in advance, limited and narrow bays. Staff friendly and knowledgeable arrived after 5pm on Sunday night, and housekeeping were still out in force, but very polite. Late checkout available on weekend. Room was clean and well provisioned with tea/ coffee/ amenities. Bathrooms look relatively new, modern and clean. Furniture is open door style, fitted and basic, akin to newer PremInn. Could not find restaurant, but with dozens available less than 200m away Is recommend exploring. They do offer a Deliveroo service (whatever that is). Overall basic

"Another First Class Stay"
sxfox, 28 Octobre 2018

Having stayed here before I booked parking in advance. Straight in to reception and booked in within a few minutes. The room (Premier) was very recently refurbished and was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. An excellent bathroom with large shower and anti-mist mirrors and TV speakers, if that takes your fancy. The room came with WiFi, hair dryer, ironing board and the usual tea making facilities and the bed was a king size and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was of the usual high standard and plenty of it. This hotel is situated centrally and convenient for most attractions. I always use this hotel when I travel to Nottingham, it is of an excellent standard.

"Good Location, below average bed, bit noisy."
markeric, 20 Octobre 2018

Stayed here for a night in October when visiting my son at Uni. Situated 30 seconds from city centre so ideally located. Very basic hotel with hardly any reception although receptionist was pleasant. Corridors and room were clean. Mattress on bed was well worn and bed quite squeaky. There was a wedding reception so could hear the music from that quite clearly although I had ear plugs so still slept. Apparently function on most weekends. Also, constant humming in back ground....again ear plugs solved that problem. Would try somewhere different next time.

"Great city centre hotel"
Rob S, 20 Octobre 2018

Great location in the city centre. It has a car park but you must phone and reserve a space - these aren't guaranteed just by booking a room (I was very lucky as hadn't done this) I received a free upgrade - room was excellent Will definitely stay again when in Nottingham next time

"Disappointing "
Chris F, 18 Octobre 2018

Stayed overnight due to work. Checking was easy and staff on reception were friendly, but that was the highlight. The room was clean, but had little or no sound proofing. It was like sleeping outside and the night was disrupted by noise from revellers and traffic until the small hours. After a long day I just fancied eating in the restaurant rather than going out. However , the restaurant and bar was empty and I found out that the only way if eating was ordering a Deliveroo meal! Ridiculous for a hotel! To be honest , I wouldn't bother again and would stay elsewhere in the city.

"Great place to stay "
Sean B, 12 Octobre 2018

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff. We were informed about discounted parking nearby as guests, albeit a little too late as we'd already parked at a relatively extortionate car park the next street over, but never mind. Close to a number of bars and a 5 min walk from the centre.

"Very comfy clean bed "
amy_jai29, 11 Octobre 2018

I stayed here on a business trip recently...on arrival the receptionist was friendly and helpful enough. Easy access to the list and found my room quickly. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Their pillows are to die for I had such a fantastic sleep there. The room was pitch black and very quiet there was hardly any noise disturbance just the odd door shutting. My friend who stayed further into the centre was kept awake all night by noise from drunk people so I felt fortunate that I had such a restful nights sleep. I had intended to order room service after a long day but was disappointed to discover the choices were very limited mainly just paninis/sandwiches. I ended up using just eat to order kfc. There was no bath or mini bar which had been advertised when booking that was annoying. In the morning I went down for breakfast the lady who greeted me was so unhelpful and rude. Once I was seated with my breakfast I watched her greeting business men in suits and the way in which she greeted them couldn't of been more different to how she had spoken to me. She asked if they had been before the ones who said no she helpfully showed them where things were and the ones who said yes she smiled and said enjoy your breakfast! I had literally had ‘what's your room number' barked at me and that Was It. I was very smiley and polite so I can't help but think that it's because either I'm Female or that I wasn't suited and booted as I had a while before my meeting! She then kept huffing and rolling her eyes at another member of staff like it was all too much trouble and effort. I don't wish to get this lady in to trouble but I do think she needs pulling up on the above as it was very offensive and upsetting to of been treated so differently. Once I left the dining area she didn't even acknowledge me it wasn't until when I checked out that a friendly Receptionist who's name o believe is Carly ? Asked me if my breakfast had been ok. All in all it's a beautiful clean hotel just the lady at breakfast and the lack of promised facilities that let it down !

"5 star"
camperman999, 05 Octobre 2018

Stayed for two nights in order to run the Robin Hood half marathon. We didn't know what to expect although the rooms looked ok online, on booking in we were given an upgraded room which I have to say was fantastic! A large and very comfortable room, spotlessly clean everywhere and extremely well decorated. The breakfast was very good the following morning, and the staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. Overall an extremely enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel at a great price. Well done.

Small rooms, older establishment. No security lock on door for nighttime. small and tight elevator only serves two people with suitcases. Breakfast included and quite reasonable. No fridge, ice has to be collected and/or delivered from limited bar service.

"Very Central Location"
Adeyemi B, 02 Octobre 2018

Best Western Plus, Nottingham is family friendly and their staff are professional in outlook. I stayed with family and we enjoyed the breakfast for the whole week of our stay. Hotel is roughly 50 meters from a Tram stop and there are more than enough restaurants around the City Centre to choose from. I would consider staying here again in the future.

"Wonderful staff amazing room would definitely return"
Helen C, 29 Septembre 2018

Arrived early morning for a conference and no problem parking there for the day Didn't check in until 9pm but the room we had was amazing so clean so big Only downside was the bathroom ceiling was painted over mould. I know this as I let properties so have an eye. Yes I would definitely rate this hotel

"Weekday stay"
Dan B, 23 Septembre 2018

Wow, what a wonderful find for the price. this property is situated right in the heart of the city centre - about a 20 minute walk from the station. Check in handled very efficiently. We were on the 6th floor, there are two lifts - our room 612, overlooked the city - The beds, were soft, but comfortable, the air/con worked perfectly, and the temperer was just right. There is a bath, with shower attachment, and plenty of condiments. Included within the wardrobe is a safe. The TV works well, with all freeview channels available, including the local Notts TV. There is also strong wifi throughout. Breakfast is a feast, the mushrooms are simply heaven, and if, like me, a vegetarian you can order veggie sausages. Breakfast is served from 0630. All in all a perfect budget hotel, with all attractions within easy walking distance. Well worth a stay if ever you find yourself in Nottingham.

"Wonderful hotel"
peachy1027, 21 Septembre 2018

This hotel is lovely, kind friendly reception staff, hotel is great, rooms are lovely, we are currently here on our honeymoon, and the room we have is amazing. This hotel is in a great location with shops pubs on the doorstep

"Convenient for a night out in Nottingham (especially Rock City)"
simondfox, 13 Septembre 2018

Having a large car, we didn't like the review of the small on-site car park. The car park to use is Q-Park, a large multi-story within a few minutes walk. Go straight to the car park and keep your ticket, then walk to the hotel, in the morning you pay £9.50 at reception. Hotel itself is of a good standard had no real issues with the room. I was surprised no USB charging point, but we had our converter anyway. Modern shower and bath, which has no taps! Enjoyed the buffet breakfast that was free due to their offer. Receptionist very friendly and breakfast staff quickly cooked poached eggs to order. Gave 5 stars as there is no reason to deduct any!

"For the money, it's worth a score of five"
Mike E, 10 Septembre 2018

Bearing it mind that this is a pretty standard modern four star city centre hotel, it does what it says on the tin. I had a meeting in Nottingham and I was just looking for a cheap hotel nearby for a single night. For a price of £79 (including a wonderful breakfast), I felt that I got excellent value for money. It did everything that I needed, and more. The room and the en-suite bathroom were both spacious, well set out and comfortable. There was a TV (with plenty of channels), a comfy bed and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast in the morning was tasty and included everything that I wanted. I would have no hesitation in going there again, or in recommending it to others.

"Change the mattress !!!!!"
cardifflocal_11, 05 Septembre 2018

Great location rooms were fine and clean. Breakfast good and staff friendly. My only complaint was the worn out mattress with springs . Very lumpy and uneven. I stayed here 6 months ago and was just the same in different room. I mentioned it then to staff and again today. If you want a comfy mattress go elsewhere. Otherwise all good.

"Lovely City Centre Hotel"
Sue S, 01 Septembre 2018

Stayed here for a couple of days and it's a lovely hotel. The view from the road is underwhelming but once inside it's a different story. When we checked in we were greeted by very friendly staff, it was quick and efficient. We did have superior rooms and they are huge, very very clean, nice soft carpets, giant showers, usb charging points, enough mirrors near sockets and a lovely big snuggly bed. We'd not opted for breakfast but did try it out for a very reasonable charge and it was nice. A couple of problems with timings meant my friend had to wait for an egg but overall a good breakfast served buffet style. This hotel has many plus points and the friendliness of the staff is one of them, not one of them was grouchy, they were all willing to chat and help. The public areas were all very clean too. The one downside is there wasn't much of a view but it's location made up for that. Don't be put off about the parking as it is literally a 2 min walk from the hotel.

"Lovely hotel"
jemma d, 01 Septembre 2018

I came here last night with my husband and couple of friends for my birthday....parked at q hotel car park 2 min walk from hotel and 9.50 for 24 hours brill....was able to put bags in hotel early until check in...nice reception staff...upon returning checked in room was very large...very enjoyable stay and we would stay here again...location great.

"Over night visit"

"Does what it says on the tin"
Tidesin, 03 Août 2018

Stayed for 2 nights in a new Superior room decent size and well furnished whilst building workers were on site commissioning rooms it did not impact the stay. A good breakfast buffet style & pleasant staff. Location of Hotel is good within easy walking distance of city centre would suggest booking parking on site as there are only 10 spaces & good luck in finding hotel not the easiest even with a satnav

"Unbelievably noisy!"
thebakers23108, 02 Août 2018

We stayed here last weekend while taking part in the Outlaw Triathlon, the room was clean and tidy and reasonably spacious however, all this was spoilt by the noise! The double glazed windows didn't mask any noise. There was a wedding party taking place although it wasn't just this as we could hear traffic all through our stay. We had to be out the room at 3.00am to to get the race however the carpark was locked until 6.00am in the morning (it would have been nice for the reception staff to have informed us of this) luckily our bikes were already on site and we had wisely put our wetsuits etc. were in our room. Otherwise it would have been a costly a wasted weekend! Just a few other minor things that management might want to take on board, there bulbs not working in the bathroom may be an idea to sort out after last occupant hands keys back in. Also our partners told us that when they booked out at 10.45 (along with other guests) the reception staff took booking calls while dealing with them, very rude and annoying

"Superior double room"
michellepK6823VL, 30 Juillet 2018

Beautiful room, lovely finishing touches and high quality. It was noisy outside our room and so struggled to sleep until the noise had died down, would take ear plugs if we were to go back. The breakfast was amazing! Only grumble was that they had a private wedding on which meant we were unable to use the bar though we could sit in the break out area and have drinks brought to us. However we felt a little uncomfortable and invasive of the wedding party who kept passing us to use the toilets etc. I think we should have been informed of this prior to our stay and maybe offered some drink vouchers to use in our room or something. We did love our stay though!

"Lovely, well placed hotel and excellent value"
Fiona H, 30 Juillet 2018

My husband and I stayed here for one night to attend a school reunion in the centre of Nottingham. The location is very central and we were impressed that, despite being on a busy main road, the room was very quiet. We were upgraded to a Superior room when we arrived and I have to say that it is one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. It was a lovely, big, comfortable room, beautifully decorated and with great facilities. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of variety to choose from. Overall, we thought it was incredible value and would happily recommend it to anyone wanting a handy central location.

"Good budget hotel"
UKtravellergirl, 25 Juillet 2018

Rates for this hotel are very reasonable and the location is excellent. Parking was fairly priced but could have been better sign posted. Rooms are fine. Clean and functional. A comfortable bed and good bathroom, mine had a bath. There is aircon which is wonderful when staying during the recent heatwave but it is very noisy. Overall a good option in central Nottingham. I'd stay again.

"Good budget stay"
Rory561, 16 Juillet 2018

Stayed 2 nights when attending a wedding. Hotel is on a busy road with a small car park. We had 2 rooms, one of which whilst perfectly clean smelt very musty. It was no problem for it to be swiftly changed, thanks to the desk staff. Rooms are small but spotless and comfortable. Bar area is nice and staff pleasant.

"Good hotel but bad car park "
TravellingCollies, 13 Juillet 2018

The car park is tiny ( I was informed I could use a neighbouring hotels car park). Even the spaces are so narrow; I was worried leaving it there that it would get dented by opening of doors. Although there's not much they can do about this I feel the problem was mainly due to a function or bar event they had on. Couldn't they charge unless a room is booked; might encourage car sharing etc. Or allocate car park spaces to rooms and have an overspill area. Just suggestions. The staff themselves were friendly and polite and the room although small had everything I needed in a good central location to the city. It was clean and had a good size ensuite. The standard you'd expect with the chain name. I would stay again on the basis I need to leave early again based on the car park. Thanks

"Good Quality Hotel"
c_hill9982, 08 Juillet 2018

Stayed here while on a stag weekend. Room was clean and modern and most importantly air conditioned meaning a good nights sleep was had. Breakfast is a buffet style and was very nice, fresh and plenty of choice to eat. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Located perfectly for the city centre therefore ideal for bars, restaurants and shopping. Parking available, but needs to be pre-booked. There is an alternative payable car park that with a ticket validated at the hotel is £9.50 for 24 hours. Highly recommend staying here. Better than the majority of similarly priced hotels. Top marks

"Ideal central location with very comfortable rooms and some good value deals."
Ian P, 08 Juillet 2018

Possibly the best feature of this hotel is the prime location, close by Theatre Royal, multitudes of restaurants and proximity of tram stop, with short walk to central square. The modern rooms are well equipped and comfortable, especially with a cost effective upgrade to a premium room. The downside may be that there is no evening restaurant service (deliveries and room service available) but with the many eating experiences so close by, most residents would probably want to eat out anyway, so probably a wise management decision. One failure was house keeping service - the essential refreshment and resupply during a two night stay was not undertaken without mid afternoon request. Perhaps a rare oversight but still needs clarification.

"Triple room"
David B, 02 Juillet 2018

Stayed here 2 nights for friends stag do. Triple room, 2 single beds and camp bed which was slightly smaller but mattress still thick and lad who slept on that said it was still very comfy. Had everything you would need in rooms like kettle, ironing board, iron, fresh towels, hairdryer, toiletries etc. Rooms very clean and beds comfy. Decent shower. Breakfast was lovely with choice of full English, fruits or continental. Coffee tastes bit rank though from the machine but that's my only gripe. Staff where all friendly and helpful. Would defo stay again. TIP: The hotel have limited parking so if ur driving there is a car park on next street where you can get reduced rates, just ask reception. Photos: view from room 6th floor

"Gets the job done"
CeruleanSun, 02 Juillet 2018

For anyone who has stayed at a Best Western before, will know that they are pretty much the same wherever you go. I've never had a wow experience at a Best Western and I find them useful for one night or two at best on your travels. The beds are big and comfortable and the room has all the essentials, but the shower is a bit weak and not massively hot, even past 10pm at night by the time I got to use it. There is no major car park at this hotel, the parking is reserved for the Crowne Plaza opposite where it seems to go underground, which leaves just the street parking if you can find a space. It was free however from 8pm until 8am. As the hotel has a very central location of the city, the road below can get quite loud with drunken revellers (Friday night) but they do stop and you can phase out the noise fairly quickly. Didn't stay for breakfast, but it looked to be all ready to be laid out in the morning buffet style. Would probably stay again and know exactly what to expect from a BW by now.

"Short and sweet"
Terballs, 24 Juin 2018

We only stayed one night but would definitely return for a longer stay. Upon arrival, Ross at reception was so friendly and welcoming while still being professional. First impressions of a hotel can set the tone for your stay and we were impressed. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Nottingham, right in the centre. The rooms were a nice size. Very comfortable and clean.

"Best Western plus Nottingham"
grainnebrown, 23 Juin 2018

Upon arriving my daughter and I were checked into our room my a member of staff that were so frosty and not welcoming at all no smiles or welcome to Best Western. All we got was handed a card with our room number, we had to ask which floor. After our evening out the 2 members of staff Debbie and Ross were so friendly asking us had we had a nice time this evening and gave us recommendations for places to visit and really couldn't do enough for us. Our room was lovely, clean and very spacious. I would definitely recommend staying here and sending Miss Frosty on some customer care courses.

"Mr Wayne Robinson"

I found this hotel brilliant to stay in , value for money cleanliness and the food was superb. The staff couldn't do enough for me. I must give a big shout out to my main man sevan at the front desk the guy is a credit to the hotel.

"Another great stay in Nottingham"
BrunoGnosall_Staffs, 21 Juin 2018

Our favourite hotel in Nottingham, good service from friendly and helpful staff plus very well located in the city centre. Would recommend that you try the new executive rooms, very spacious and well laid out

"Perfect location for the city"
Georgia P, 19 Juin 2018

Excellent location for visiting the city centre. We were very lucky to get our room upgraded to a newly done room. It was lovely, very comfy bed, excellent facilities in the room including, teas and coffee machine. The bathroom and shower was amazing, with beautiful toiletries. There was a big space in the cupboard which looked fridge sized, I think possibly the fridge hadn't been installed at that point as the room was so newly decorated. Really good choice of breakfast buffet, and some items that could be ordered freshly cooked. Only downside is that it's extremely noisy outside from the local bars etc, that went on until very late, so I had trouble sleeping. But I think that's to be expected given the location. Overall a really good stay.

"Overnight stay"
Annie W, 17 Juin 2018

Had a lovely overnight stay here after checking in and straight out of the stage. Rooms clean, bed linen clean, tea and coffee facilities in rooms. Staff were lovely, especially sevvan on reception. Breakfast was very nice. All in all a comfortable stay.

"Lovely Hotel in a Cracking Location!"
Honky2nks, 16 Juin 2018

I stayed here with a friend when we recently went to see a show at the Theatre Royal. The hotel could not have been in a better position as it was practically next door to the theatre! Check-in was simple and quick and the receptionist was friendly enough. We had a twin bedded room on the third floor which was nicely decorated, clean and well equipped. The en-suite had a bath with a shower over with a great and simple 'press button' control - brilliant, press one button for the shower and another for the tap!! There were plenty of toiletries and lovely large bath towels!! There was plenty of tea/coffee and milk and even some biscuits which was nice. The mugs were quite small though, 3 sips and the tea was gone! The hairdryer was good, the light above the mirror didn't work though which I meant to mention when we checked out... The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast the next morning was perfectly adequate with good continental and hot choices. There was only basic sliced brown bread though and I quite like a choice of fresh rolls/ loaves to choose from. The same small mugs were the only ones available at breakfast which was disappointing but not the end of the world! The hotel is again well situated for the shops/ shopping centres and we were able to leave our bags in a safe facility at the hotel for the day. It is about a 20 minute walk to the station. If I ever needed somewhere to stay in Nottingham again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

"OK for business trip"
Nothguoh, 13 Juin 2018

Stayed for 1 night in twin room on the 6th floor. Small, basic rooms but very clean and perfectly adequate for a night or two. Over bath shower was OK but water pressure a bit low. Tea making facilities in the room. Air conditioning was very loud so had to turn it down but room got very warm during the night. Not at all bad for £50 quid! (free breakfast as I registered with them) which was very good

"Reasonably priced city centre hotel"
jamesons_drinker, 13 Juin 2018

We had been invited to a wedding at the Best Western Plus Nottingham City Centre. We travelled by car and parked in a local car park which has an arrangement with the hotel (discounted 24 hr parking). There was no problem finding a parking space (this was around 11 am on Saturday) and it was then a short walk to the hotel. There are a limited number of parking spaces at the hotel itself, however another guest said he found it difficult to find the entrance to the hotel car park. Our group consisted of three people, and we were able to book a triple room. The room was slightly cramped with three single beds taking up much of the floor space, but this was just a minor inconvenience. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The main downside was that the room was very warm. We found that the air conditioning did not work and was noisy, so we opened the windows. The windows only opened partially and street noise levels were quite high - revving cars, people shouting etc. This noise continued until the early hours of the morning. We found that the staff were very efficient and the wedding and reception went without a hitch. The next morning breakfast was served in the same area the reception had been held. We found that the area was clean and tidy even though the festivities had gone on well into the night. Breakfast was exceptionally good. It was buffet style with a huge variety of ingredients, all cooked to perfection. There was also a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fruit etc.

"And rest"
Chesterfieldsunshine, 04 Juin 2018

We booked through booking .com no problem there. We were emailed a week before to see if would like to upgrade for an extra £20.00 So glad we did. Reception was quite busy when we arrived but we were not rushed, the staff on from desk were extremely friendly and very helpful. We were upgraded to the Nottingham suite. A newly refurbished room to a fine quality finished room. Everything was spot on the decor was tasteful and bright the room had a small couch and table with a lovely dressing table chair and very comfortable big bed. The bed linen and towels were crisp. Large tv with lots of channels and sound piped through to the bathroom which had a large double headed shower. toilet and wash basin. Forgot your toiletries don't worry there were plenty supplied. Hair dryer, tea coffee facilities and welcome drink of bottled water. The room had a save although it wasn't secured down. There was even an iron and ironing board. There is a bar that's open from late afternoon and breakfast can be eaten at the hotel. Now for something new the hotel is part of a scheme were you can have takeaway delivered to your room, Indian, Chinese, pizza, just incase you want a night in. Remembering the hotel is in a busy nightlife area there was minimal noise and very little noise from other guests at the hotel. Having not been In Nottingham for many years the reception staff were helpful in advising where to go. The only down side of the room the curtains were an inch to short which meant when the sun rose they let the light in. We had a delightful stay and will defiantly return.

"First impressions count"
KevMac1960, 04 Juin 2018

I have no idea why the duty manager at reception chose the hospitality industry for her career. We arrived to check in and were asked if we had a car in the car park. On answering yes we were told “well you can't park there. You have to book” she then took exception to my son signing the second room details with the same address as mine practically accusing him of giving false details. Shame the first impression was so annoying as the room was nice, the location great and a good breakfast. Good thing is there are plenty of other good hotels near by so next time I'm in Nottingham I won't trouble the lady and will go somewhere else

"Great stay "
David E, 02 Juin 2018

My wife and I booked a midweek break at this hotel ! This former Ramada Hotel is in a great location in the heart of the city ! Check in was quick and efficient, nice big room with king size bed. Delicious buffet breakfast, and great value for money. Will definitely be booking again !

"Very disappointed"
Miriam K, 31 Mai 2018

The hotel is situated right in the city centre, which is a great plus. You've got everything you need within 10 min walking. All clean and tidy. The room was quite small for 3 people though. Clean bathroom, with towels and shower products. Unfortunately we were very disappointed about a couple of things that we were told were included, such as 24h room service and housekeeping, which would only be working in the morning. We were told room service was available 24 hours, so when we decided to order some food, the night receptionist Michael kindly told us it was impossible because that evening he was alone and couldn't leave reception to go and cook for us. At that point he offered us some flyers where we could order food from, which was very nice. The day after, we left the room quite late in the afternoon and we asked if it was possible to make up our room. We were told it was not possible as housekeeping team was already gone (they only clean in the morning, which I find unacceptable considering it's a 4 stars hotel). When we came back in the evening, we asked again and Michael (clearly upset about that question again) told us he was alone.. At that point we got pretty upset, considering that also in the guest book it's mentioned ‘24 hours , after that ,we asked for extra towels and he gave us 3 small towels , obviously we asked him to give us big ones but again the same answer “ I can't leave reception “ so obviously we got ever more upset and on top of that he said “ you're trying to get on me “ . How can you say that to a client ?! Anyway, big thank you to him because we would never come back ..

"SUPER CITY CENTRE LOCATION"
Riche8, 31 Mai 2018

We stayed for one night while we were in Nottingham to visit the Royal Concert Hall. This is about 100 yards from the hotel and the tram stop is even closer! A friendly welcome, smart clean hotel and great room with king size bed and a bath. Difficult to find anything to fault with this hotel, great location and good value.

"Great Location"
Alistair R, 29 Mai 2018

If you are watching a show at the Theater or Concert Hall, this hotel is perfectly placed. 2 minute walk. Big rooms with a very big bed. Tea and Coffee making facility, tv, free wi-fi. Reduced rate car parking just around the corner. For the price, perfect.

"Daughters Wedding"
875frederickw, 28 Mai 2018

Have just attended a wedding at the Best Western and have to say the organisation by the staff was exceptional. The event staff Paulina and Andrew were second to none and we only had to ask for something and it was done. We would also like to mention Mo and her staff from the Restaurant, Food was first class. brilliant. From arriving to leaving no one had a bad word to say. We stopped for 2 nights and once again the room was big, clean and had all you wanted for an enjoyable stay. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep so your spoilt for choice. Would def recommend.

"Good value"
mberlin2015, 28 Mai 2018

We did not manage to get to this hotel by car , although it is situated on a proper street - the Sat-Nav gave up after the 5th round through Nottingham. We parked our car close by and walked over which was ok..The Hotel itself has seen better days, especially the reception area could use a refit , the rooms where nice and spacious. This hotel is perfect if you want to walk over to Rock City , Rescue rooms or the musical theatre - all these are virtually max 150 meters away.

"Too hot"
Julian K, 22 Mai 2018

If this is the Long Eaton one (which I assume it is) this hotel really needs a/c. Far too hot. No cooling. Open the windows onto the roar of the M1. Pillows too hard, room needs a Refurb - previous jobs done poorly. Electrical sockets did not work. If warm avoid. Break, although dear, was however good. Nice staff.

"Amazing new rooms"
kati1807, 19 Mai 2018

Ive just checked out of the Best Western Nottingham City Centre. I was alloacated one of the new Superior Bedrooms what a large spacious room, plenty of plugs, aircon and a lovely large walk in shower all tastefully decorated. breakfast was tasty and all very hot with wide range of choice and Will def be back for another stay.

"Very nicce hostel!"

The Best Western Nottingham is a perfect place to stay in Nottingham City. Helpful, friendly Staff, Clean bedrooms, comfy beds, toiletries, iron and ironing boar. Lovely lounge areas - basically everything you need - at a very reasonable price. Would definitely stay there again.

"Great hotel in town centre"
cartdeco57, 13 Mai 2018

We upgraded to a superior room for a minimal cost. The room was really good and very clean and modern. Great views. Pleasant staff and good breakfast with lots of choices served in pristine restaurant area. We only stayed one night but would book for longer on next visit.

"Very, Very Good"
Phil H, 12 Mai 2018

An excellent hotel in a great location - especially if you are going to one of the nearby theatres. Staff were good, the bar was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We took a superior room which was absolutely fine and appreciated the voucher for two free drinks which were quickly converted into G&T's.

"What a wedding!"
Annamarie1804, 08 Mai 2018

We attended a family wedding on the weekend if 4/5, having also booked rooms for an overnight stay. Apart from one of the rooms not being ready because the bride was still in it?? the whole day was fabulous, the staff were excellent and everyone had a fabulous time!

"Brilliant as always"
Jayne H, 08 Mai 2018

Stayed here repeatedly when attending concerts and Xmas shopping. Excellent situated in centre. Staff always helpful. Very cheap secure parking nearby at q parks. Free drinks vouchers too. Lovely food and very clean rooms and lovely bed linen

"Ideal city centre location"

Great situation for being in city centre. Only drawback was noise from nearby bar late at night. Staff kindly provided ear plugs. Room excellent...all usual facilities provided. Very good buffet breakfast with a wide choice

"Lovely clean friendly staff, great location"
lisafentz45, 08 Mai 2018

Lovely and clean hotel friendly professional staff Great location although I was in room 208 and noise from the ? Pubs clubs went on until 03.30 even with windows closed you could hear music shouting although I have stayed here many times before and this is the first time I have noticed this. breakfast fresh hot worth money.

"Good mid range city centre hotel"
Albermarle, 07 Mai 2018

I had stayed here a few years ago when it was the Ramada, but for subsequent enquiries the price was always £100 plus , which was too much .So this was the first time I had been back as the price was more reasonable, and now it a Best Western . First impression was that not a lot had changed but the room was a more contemporary with anew bathroom . Although not a luxury hotel , the public areas, corridors and rooms were all recently decorated , new carpets etc and no sign of any grubbiness. The eating area is fine for breakfast but a bit soulless/empty in the evening , as was the bar. However this is often the case in city centre hotels as most of the guests go out for the evening, there being many bars and restaurants around . Breakfast was buffet style so hot food was a bit dried up . Coffee was from a proper machine so was good . Non hot food offering was adequate but not more. Staff were all OK. If arriving by car make sure you use the postcode advised and not the actual address of the hotel . There are about a dozen parking spaces at the hotel but you need to book these in advance for a cost of £12. This is strongly recommended as it is only £3 more than the multi storey and a lot more convenient. The hotel claims to be a 4* but I would say a good 3 * , although they are still working on some improvements /upgrading rooms etc.

"Kevin lord "
kevlord, 27 Avril 2018

A great place to stay room is quite large and airy. All the staff have been very friendly even going out of their way helping us save money in a car park. Good reasonable price and very close to the city centre very much appreciated by myself as arthritis in my knees makes walking difficult. Thank you very much Best Western Plus Nottingham we will be using you again.

"Will definitely stay again"
Bev K, 27 Avril 2018

Very good value for money hotel. Well positioned in the city centre. Very helpful staff, friendly staff. In particular Mo in the restaurant, she is an asset to the hotel. I hope the manager appreciates the good work she does.

"Mid week stay"
628jt2018, 26 Avril 2018

The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and friendly both on reception and in the restaurant where the food was fabulous. Only let down was being on the top floor there was noise/vibration from the Air Con on the roof but resolved by sleeping up side down!!!

"2 night stay"
Cords8, 22 Avril 2018

Stayed here in a recent trip for business. The car park was an absolute nightmare to find and can appreciate this is not necessarily the Hotels fault but all the same. The room I had was great and newly decorated. However please sort the water pressure out it rains harder. I must say the service is also where it lets itself down. I booked a wake up call for both mornings and failed to get the second one. Check in I felt was impersonal and I was told everything was either in my key card or guest directory. Was up late having a few drinks and got to 11pm went to the bar for another and was told they were then closing I mean seriously. Breakfast was ok nothing special. Waiting to depart I was in the cue to only over hear some guests having paid less then others when having there car parking tickets validated. The frosty reception team didn't seem to bothered by it. I wonder if they got out ok oh dear. Fortunately for myself I hadn't been inconvenienced and the parking ticket validated correctly.

Booked a double room at this hotel last minute to attend a concert at Rock City. Called ahead to try and book a parking space but the limited parking was already fully booked. I was directed to Q car park nearby (3 minute walk) and told the cost would be subsidised by the hotel, £9.50 for 24 hours or £6 between 5pm and 9am the next morning. The hotel was clean and tidy, the king size bed was comfortable and I didn't hear any noise from the city outside. It was a hot day so we left the room key in the cars slot and the air con on. Upon our return we realised the air con was faulty. I called reception and asked for a fan, which was delivered quickly. The fan was rather small and had little effect so it was a little warm for my liking. We validated our car park ticket at reception and as we tried to leave the car park it wanted us to pay again. A couple of minutes with the parking attendant and a call to the hotel saw us allowed out of the car park without paying again. This hotel is ideally placed for Rock City and the city centre and if you pre-book early enough you can even park on site. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again. We reported the air con issue again as we checked out, so the next guests don't suffer the same fate!

"1st visit"
SMRHBoston, 17 Avril 2018

We booked this hotel because of its location near the royal centre as we were going to a show there last night. This was an excellent idea. Good and polite service from all the staff we met, clean and spacious rooms, comfy bed, hot water.easy shower controls, tea and coffee facilities. A bar and lounge to have a drink in on our return from the theatre. A good breakfast this morning. In fact all we could have hoped for. We will return when we go to the next show ,

"Nottingham visit"
magret1110, 16 Avril 2018

Visited this hotel for bed and breakfast on 13th April. We were met with a lovely receptionist and quickly accessed our room on the 6th floor. The double room was lovely, bed comfortable and the room was nice and cool and quiet which enabled us to have the best nights sleep in ages. Breakfast was also delicious, would highly recommend this hotel

"I good solution for a visit to Nottingham"
georgekzachos, 05 Avril 2018

A good hotel in a Very convenient position in Town Centre of Nottingham. Very close to tTram Stop, Shoping area and the Theater. Very polite and helpfull staff especialy at the Reception. Jordaine and Christina answered all of our inquiries with patience and efficiency!.Typical but very good Breaksfast!

"Never disappoints "
GarySummers, 02 Avril 2018

Two night stay in a family room to enjoy the social life of Nottingham. We use this hotel normally twice a year and it never lets us down, perfect city centre location, friendly helpful staff and a clean and spacious room and bathroom facilities. The bar is reasonably priced for a meeting place before hitting the city. We only ate breakfast but with it being self service there was plenty to set you up for a day in the pub or out at the shops. One point to mention is the limited car parking available on site so best book a space.

"Satisfied customers"
ericcharlesworth, 02 Avril 2018

Lovely room, excellent evening meal and breakfast , well worth the very reasonable cost. Evening service was slightly slow so if visiting for a pre theatre meal add a little extra time.Theatre only 4 mins walking time from hotel

"upgrade disapointing"
Geenorina, 01 Avril 2018

took advantage of the upgraded deal. Nespresso machine leaked and only provided with two capsules of dubious dupe coffee, Toiletries Elemis was a nice touch.. no handles on deep bath meant not good for stiff joints. wouldnt spend the extra £10 per night again

"Highly recommend"
Ash G, 31 Mars 2018

Just left the best western hotel couldn't have had a better stay. Jordaine and Cheistino both helpful and efficiant. Would deffo recommend. I was here alone for work and any help I needed they were happy to provide me with both recommendations and advice on where to go.

"Comfortable, Friendly & Efficient."
mandybutters16, 27 Mars 2018

We stayed on the Sunday evening and checked in to the hotel before the Micheal McIntyre show at The Motorpoint Arena. We only met Reception Staff who were very friendsly & efficient. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Overall we were very happy with our stay at the hotel .

"Couldn't fault any of it.."
gmoore476290, 27 Mars 2018

Great stay in nice room.. special thank you to Jordan on the front desk who went out of his way, and came into the street to find us when we were having trouble locating the hotel on foot! Brilliant!!

"Disappointing"
carlhayes1, 26 Mars 2018

Arrived at 1430 was told room not ready. Then got told the upgrade I had paid for was not available but told all rooms are the same so we will put a coffee machine in a room with some slippers and a gown so it will be the same as an upgrade. Don't know why I bothered as room all ready had a kettle and brew making machine so now had 2! total waste of money paying for the upgrade.

"Best place to stay in Nottingham"
pknigh701847, 26 Mars 2018

Best place to stay in Nottingham value for money, staff friendly and meal deal excellent value centre of town with trams just down the road, rooms clean and a good size, extra large king size bed , spot on

"Budget Hotel rather than city hotel "
Celtfam, 24 Mars 2018

The hotel is really centrally placed for Nottingham in what looks like a converted office building. The hotel is clean with friendly staff and serves a good breakfast. However on the budget side it has rock hard beds ( we had two singles that had been made as a double), low power bath showers and the bar come restaurant/breakfast room lacked warmth or a hotel comfort feel (played a radio station for music?). It's advertised as having parking but doesn't highlight you have to book early for the 11/12 spots it has. Despite the great price I'm not sure I'd return.

"Clean, comfortable and exceedingly helpful staff on reception!"
Anne M, 19 Mars 2018

I don't leave many reviews, but just had to this time as we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in particular were impressed by the very helpful staff on reception, (especially all their efforts printing out e-tickets for us despite various email hassles). Our two rooms and en suites were clean and looked newly decorated, we all had a very comfortable night's sleep. The restaurant and bar area is light and bright, conservatory-style, with sofas as well as tables and chairs. My reason for giving the hotel four not five stars is that the breakfast was only "ok" (rather dry pastries, crumbly scrambled eggs, no grainy bread etc), the road outside was quite noisy with Saturday night pub goers, and the reception area itself is a bit scruffy and gives a poor first impression. We'd happily stay there again though.

"80th Birthday Party"
DebsInk, 14 Mars 2018

Could not fault the Best Western Nottingham City Centre, we have had an afternoon tea party for my mum's 80th Birthday, There was a welcome table before you went in the main room with a choice of Prosecco, Buck's Fizz or Orange Juice, the main room was set at one end with a comfortable sofa & chairs then the other half the tables & chairs for eating. The food was a lovely selection of sandwiches with the crusts cut off!! Salmon & Cream Cheese, Egg, Tuna & Ham Sausage Rolls, Vol Au Vents with a couple of different fillings, samosa's, spring rolls & onion bargee's along with crisps, nuts & cheese & pineapple on sticks. A great selection of cakes with a homemade lemon posset & shortbread biscuit WHAT A TREAT!! Well done to the chef Matt. I also want to thank Andrew & Mo for the excellent customer service & making every lady along with the birthday girl feel very special. We will definitely be back for the next big celebration

"Very comfortable pleasant stay!"
Michs004, 08 Mars 2018

I stayed here for one night March 2018. I had a lovely spacious and comfortable double room. I was very pleased with the room and the facilities provided. Breakfast was an additional £7.95 and standard hotel breakfast. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. I had a 20minute walk from the train station and did not get much chance to explore the area so can't comment on location.

"Lovely hotel"
19spyro74, 08 Mars 2018

I stayed here last Saturday night. The hotel was lovely. I checked in on my own and the reception staff couldn't do enough for me. I called ahead to check if there was a hairdryer in my room to save me carrying one (there was!!). There was tea/coffee/water facilities which we didn't use. The hotel is in the right location for a night out. There is limited parking so I would advise to to pre book early with the hotel. If you're too late like I was, there's a car park just across the road for £9.50 for 24 hrs which the hotel recommends. I would definitely stay here again. Good value hotel in the heart of the centre. What more do you need?

"One night stay"
Debra G, 08 Mars 2018

My daughter and I stayed one night for a gig. Hotel in excellent position for the venue. Pre booked hotel parking which was a little tight but safe. Our room was clean and once I figured out the heating it soon warmed up. The beds were comfortable, tea, coffee and biscuits provided as well as iron and ironing board, no hairdryer though. Breakfast was ample, hot and very tasty. I would stay here again.

"Short stay"
joanmyers7414, 04 Mars 2018

We stayed over night but this was uncomfortable. The bed was not the greatest comfort. Hardly slept due to hearing people in the corridor passing by and talking. Breakfast I had to wait for but it was ok. I would not stay there if I wanted a good nights sleep. Also I smelt cigarette on the floor I was on.

"Perfect hotel for a short break in the city"
purplemay, 27 Février 2018

We stayed 1 night in a standard twin room. The room was compact but had everything needed and it was all pristine. The beds were comfortable and tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc were provided. Breakfast was superb. The price was inexpensive. the staff very polite and helpful. The hotel appears to be aimed at short stays of a day or 2 and for that its perfect. Its central location is minutes from the theatre, casinos, cinemas, bars, restaurants etc. It would be ideal for theatre or city break.

"no way 4*"
theboy75, 25 Février 2018

stayed here saturday night with a friend for a night out..reception staff ok, massive room for improvements. Told i needed to prebook car park with them and when advised i had rung the day before and was told to turn up on spec, met with a dull raw...not happy and staff were just like Oh well... room was just ok, shower was appauling just managed a dribble at best. breakfast was shocking, no food on the hot plates and waited over 10 mins for a refill. with approx 40 in the breakfast room there was a gentle hum of frustration but no action.. def not recommend and as a travel agent aswell will not advising...stick to prem inns or dont go

"Family stay"
David C, 25 Février 2018

Great stay, friendly staff. only a short distance from the town centre with bus stop right out side the front door. This is my second time staying here and will be coming back next year. Only put 4 star as the parking is a bit hit and miss.

"Great location "
bunnybumboo, 25 Février 2018

Hotel is in a fantastic location within walking distance to the centre. Parking is available under the hotel, but had sold out so we parked at the nearby q-park (discount from the hotel), so worked out as £9.50 for 24 hours. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room did the job, bed wasn't the cosiest but was fine for one night. Room was tidy and clean, good choice of tv channels. Would stay again if In Nottingham and would recommend!

"Did the job, great location and quiet"
Jon M, 20 Février 2018

Stayed here for one night to see a gig in Notts Location was spot on - nestled in between the venue (Talbot Street) and the City Centre. Car parking was secure and easy. Breakfast absolutely fantastic, room was great, nice and quiet location and staff were pleasant apart from checking in when I was asked what bedding arrangement I wanted (Twin or double) bearing in mind I was room sharing with a mate. It left me to having to make a slightly embarassing statement that I was in fact happily married to a woman so 2 single beds would be fine ;-) All in all everything was as I wanted - but if I had one criticism its that the hotel is a pain in the backside to locate when driving if you use their postcode cos if you miss the turning off the roundabout then its a 2-3 mile trek around the one way system to attempt to get into the street again.

"Flying Visit"
alexberwick, 19 Février 2018

This was only a quick visit to Nottingham for one night. However it was a very comfortable visit. We got a free upgrade to a better room and enjoyed the additional facilities this provided. We would certainly return to stay here again.

"Disappointment from the moment of arriving to the moment of leaving."
gpr, 17 Février 2018

First impressions last and the receptionist on entry was at best lost in her job at worst the most difficult person. Although she was polite, she was the most unhelpful person to have at an hotel desk. The booking system had no mention that parking needs to be booked and after talking to other guests even booking parking does not mean you will have some at this establishment. If you need wifi DO NOT STAY HERE. Yes it is free but in all honesty if it was a paid extra they would be giving refunds daily. It was rubbish, in and out and business emails would not send. It was better on day two but only during the day, in the evening it was back to popping in and out and impossible to use. Other than the initial receptionist, the staff were generally friendly and helpful and the breakfast good. However there are other hotels within a stones throw that actually provide what the advertising says which begs the question of, why would anyone stay in the Best Western with similar priced hotels across the road? The room was clean but I was surprised to be asked if we actually wanted the room cleaned after the first night. The room was cleaned and beds made as expected but two empty beer bottles were left in the room which left me doubting that the room was cleaned properly. I had complained throughout our two night stay and when it came to checkout our ticket from the local multistory car park was validated to give us the hotel discount. The very nice receptionist acknowledged our grievances and told me that it was the least they could do to cover our car parking charges and had done so on the ticket. I was grateful that they had given us a little sugar to ease our bitter experience. Unfortunately this was just another nail in their coffin as to get out of the car park we still had to pay £16 at the barrier. Why lie? This hotel really lets down the Best Western brand and I would advise anyone considering staying there that there are better hotels for similar money just across the road. Stay here at your peril.

"Not a great stay and weird tasting mushrooms "
User, 15 Février 2018

So I stayed here with my brother as we were attending the Bowling for Soup gig. First impressions were nice, everything clean and well presented. Shower was easy enough to use. Then it came to sleeping, the air con was unbelievably loud and the mattress was also thin. I think I must have slept for about an hour and a half and then eventually waking up at 2.30am and not being able to go back to sleep. Went for breakfast just after half 6 and the sausages were over peppery and the mushrooms just tasted weird. The black Pudding was delicious! Overall it wasn't a great stay, would probably go somewhere else next time.

"one night stay with my husband in a double room"
dooblol, 13 Février 2018

Excellent stay. clean comfortable spacious room. Breakfast a must, there was cereal fresh fruit etc. full English with everything you could think of, all piping hot, toast and pastries, it was amazing. Staff really friendly and very helpful. would definitely stay again. Best breakfast in any hotel I have stayed in.

"Pleasant Hotel"
nostalgicsoul, 13 Février 2018

I booked a double room for 4 nights. Room was clean, spacious, and bed is so comfortable. Staff are very friendly. I complained next day how the internet was a bit weak in my bedroom and they quickly changed my bedroom. They even upgraded me to a superior room since all other rooms were booked. Stuff really go all the way to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was good, not much of a variety but it was enough. Location is great and very convenient. Price was very good compared to other hotels.

"Great simple hotel in a good location"
Suitcase_Packer, 13 Février 2018

Simple hotel in the city centre with parking spaces and at a good price. Room was comfortable, clean and a good size. Breakfast was very good. Reception staff were excellent - very friendly and recommended local places to visit and eat / drink.

"Great location"
lisahughes248, 13 Février 2018

The hotel location was perfect for my business through the day, and leisure time in the evening. The room was very nice, and breakfast was also great. The staff were all very professional and welcoming.

"close to city centre, helpful and friendly staff excellent breakfast"
Latson, 04 Février 2018

the hotel is about 30 seconds from the city centre, close to everything, tram stop right outside, staff were very helpful and friendly, hotel was clean and quiet, parking on site was a bonus. pub underneath is very good

"Disappointing on so many levels!"
Simon C, 02 Février 2018

We'd read reviews and thought we'd have a lovely stay. Our hotel did not have the star rating feel we'd expected. The location was ok but to be honest the bins by the hotel and the road hotel on did not fill me with hope. Our room was clean except for bath mat and window. First thing we saw on arrival was a massive bird poo smeared down the window! Bath mat dirty. At night the room felt like a sauna and when we opened windows it was so noisy. On top of bedroom fan we had passing traffic, sirens and a lot of noise from loud party goers. It was a very unpleasant stay. We did not sleep well and wlll not return.

"A bit beige"
Hoptonjohn, 31 Janvier 2018

So I stayed just one night check in went well although I subsequently found out I had to go back and ask for login details for the Wi-Fi. Would be nice if they asked on check in if you needed it. The room was comfortable clean and quiet and the shower in the bathroom was fine. Breakfast was okay just a bit bland. All in all an okay experience but in the end the hotel didn't linger long in the memory.

"Good but not great"
Bethan W, 29 Janvier 2018

Came here for my partners birthday as we had booked a show in the Motorpoint. We rang in advance but there was no parking available at the hotel which needs to be reserved in advance. Staff were helpful on the phone and advised that parking is £9.50 for 24 hours in the Q Park on Talbot Road which is literally a 3 min walk away from the hotel. They also confirmed that the rate is only available when you pay for the parking at the hotel when you leave (as I was looking to reserve a space). The hotel charge £12 for on site parking. The room was quite large, I found the bed comfortable however my partner found it quite hard. Room was clean, bath and shower in decent sized bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities together with ironing board and in room safe. We didn't have a problem with the WiFi but it was quite slow. We found the room cold as the key is needed to activate the system. Room would benefit from more electric sockets. We did not have the breakfast after reading other reviews on the same and felt £8.99 was steep considering you're close to a number of eateries who charge less. Hotel is in a good location. Motorpoint was 15 min walk away with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops on the way.

"Spoilt by poor information"
mars m, 23 Janvier 2018

Our sat nav took us to Upper Parliament Street - Which we later found was the back of the hotel. There was no signage on that side whatsoever to identify it as a hotel . The rooms are on the first floor above a Chinese restaurant. We rang reception - described where we were and the restaurant etc. the receptionist who clearly had never been to that side of the hotel and didn't know Nottingham then said said she needed to get a map to work out where we were. After 3 fruitless calls to reception - who were unable to advise or direct us - it took a further 30 minutes driving around Nottingham to find our way . when we did arrive the reception staff totally disregarded our frustration and comments.

"Would definitely use it again"
Pads0n, 13 Janvier 2018

Found it difficult to find this hotel in the car even tho' SatNav post code quoted worked well, its just not very visible, just go straight on into the dead end. The onsite car park seemed very strange at first but after 2 days use decided it was very handy and would use it again. Our room was ideal for a city break. The only downside was the breakfast, excellent quality food but usually almost stone cold would not pay for this option in future.

"Comfortable overnight stay"
SnowyinSandy, 13 Janvier 2018

We received a nice welcome on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable. Great WiFi. Breakfast was busy, but the service was attentive and effective. Would prefer fresh tomatoes for breakfast. WE did these when we stayed at a premier inn!

"A bit disappointed to be honest"
OlderGuy1956, 08 Janvier 2018

I normally like Best Western hotels - good quality, and you can be sure that you're going to get it. Well this one is slightly different. The entrance is strange - small and understated. The car park has a set of mis-sized parking places that don't quite fit your car. The air conditioning / room warming system is noisy, and out dated. In addition the cleaners turn off the system (to save money?) so that it takes a while to work out why the room is so called. The system also only works when your key is inserted in the electricity holder - so the room is always cold when you enter it. The bed was really uncomfortable, with an extremely poor (old?) mattress. The breakfast was poor - the food was not hot, and the bacon really undercooked. The internet is difficult to get onto for phones and iPads, and was never very quick. The staff on the front desk, however, were excellent. Overall a really disappointing experience.

"Beautiful wedding"
ehind2018, 06 Janvier 2018

This venue was central and very local for shops and venues Our wedding day was made all the better by the staff and accommodation at the best western hotel We cannot praise the staff enough for their attention to detail and smooth running of the wedding breakfast and the evening events Our food was perfect . We recommend this venue for any occasion including new year

"A hotel that ticks all the boxes"
Craig R, 05 Janvier 2018

The Best Western in Nottingham was the base for our anniversary outing, we spent 2 nights there. Location-wise it is in the back garden of most of the sights of Nottingham town centre, just off one of the main roads which keeps background noise from the city fairly low thankfully. Check in was fairly straight forward, the only stress on my part was recalling if I'd settled the balance or not beforehand! Based on the 5th floor, the room was spacious, clean and pleasant. Views over Nottingham were eye catching.Facilities were good, we had an iron, bathrobes, hot chocolate, hairdryer all close to hand. Bed was lovely and the shower was straight forward to use. You also got free Wifi (as long as you set it up in the first hour!). One gripe was that a Wedding reception was being hosted whilst we were there. Now I have no issue sharing the hotel amongst people who are celebrating a grand occasion, the issue I do have is hearing their music playing whilst I'm trying to sleep. The experience took me back to staying at a costal caravan park when you could hear the repetitive rumble of the on site amusement park's sound system. Abit of sound proofing might help? Breakfast was had and it was exemplary. Cereals, fruits, toast, full english breakfast. You name it, it was there. Plenty of room to sit and bask in the morning (even with the venue being full with Wedding guests). The dining area itself had a roof window which brought the sunlight in, made the place look charming. The room was maintained well by the cleaning staff and everyone was incredibly friendly. Overall my stay at Best Western was good, afew minor gripes but vastly outnumbered by the good experiences I had with them. I would recommend it at the price.

"Bitterly disappointed "
Fasil89, 04 Janvier 2018

Me and my wife visited here recently while visiting Nottingham. The price was very reasonable and the pictures looked great. The room itself was a superior room which was a good size. The bathroom was nice and clean. However, the heater in the room, which is also the AC, was very very noisy and loud. We needed the heater because the weather was quite cold but weren't able to leave it on during the night as we couldn't sleep with the loud noise. The bed was awful. A horrible mattress with springs poking into our legs or back and every time I made any movement on the bed it was creak like an old door and my wife would wake up. On the plus side, as already mentioned above, the bathroom was very nice and clean and the room itself was cleaned well. Also the staff were friendly and helpful which is 1 of the reasons I'm giving this review 3 out of 5 stars and not 1 which I was considering to do previously.

"Home with extra's"
mikeshol, 31 Décembre 2017

The best is in the name. Friendly attentive staff excellent rooms along with great selection of quality food. Location is fantastic all in all a premier league hotel where others try to compete. Definitely a hotel I will visit again along with the other seven of us who all rated this one of the best we have experienced.

"Go to Premier Inn instead"
Cristiane W, 26 Décembre 2017

Broken window vent made the room drafty and the heater is extremely noisy. The beds are old sprung and every time someone moves it squeaks. There was rubbish left under the bed which was really disgusting to see. And the dust is making me sneeze a lot. In short I advise you go to Premier Inn.

"Great value for City Centre"
Geoff993, 20 Décembre 2017

Nicely refurbished rooms, staff excellent. We attended a Christmas function which was really well managed, Good breakfast the next morning. A useful feature was the on site parking giving direct access to the reception.

"Great hotel"
Traveller6265, 19 Décembre 2017

Really love this hotel, second time staying here (first was when it was a Ramada). Easy to get to from the motorways with it being “top end” of the centre. Lots of car parks nearby (crowne plaza one opposite is £17 overnight, avoid it as this hotel has discounted nearby Q Park rate of £10). Spacious rooms, comfy beds, modern decor, decent shower, toiletries provided. Just round the corner from Rock City, great location very central but not totally in the bustle of it. WiFi free and didn't cut out. Would definitely stay here again

"Close to town"
julietigger10, 19 Décembre 2017

Ideal for shopping close to cinema and theatre nice clean rooms little noisy as our room overlooked the restaurant conservatory and they had Christmas parties on but not too bad good value hotel Plenty of toiletries we also had bathrobe in room

"Better than expected"
Just_Tim_from_London, 19 Décembre 2017

The hotel was really quite nice. Modern room, modern bathroom. Clean. Quiet. Check-in was a bit difficult but the person dealing with me had a 'trainee' badge so wont judge harshly. Check out was excellent. Total cost was £35 so was experting it to be a bit grotty so was pleasantly surprised. Location was good. Would happily stay there again. View was of an air conditioning vent. Don't expect Parisian skyline views. It's Nottingham...

"Enjoyed my stay"
janedT2290LI, 18 Décembre 2017

Precooked only to be informed would be able to get a meal on arrival due to Christmas party night. After sending an email & ringing prior to late arrival I was warmly greeted and able to get a meal delivered to my room which was great - thank you. My room was fine - clean tidy and quiet. Breakfast was ok reasonable choice and a peaceful dining room

"Girls night away"
louise p, 12 Décembre 2017

Stayed hete thete was 8 of us for Christmas market great location center to everywhere easy to get to trainsration breakfast was lovely and rooms were nice and had everything we needed would recommend

"Excellent Location, Unhelpful Staff"
KalexPlymouth_Devon, 11 Décembre 2017

We stayed here at the weekend and arrived just after 2pm to check in. We were told that our room wasn't ready so we offered to go and get some lunch and then come back. When I asked how long we should leave it, the receptionist just said, "I don't know, we're very busy." So, perhaps an hour or two? "I don't know, we have 90 rooms booked up today so we're very busy." Great, thanks for your help! We came back 2 hours later and successfully checked in. The hotel's location is very central, and there is a multi-storey car park 5 minutes away that you can use at a discounted rate (£9.50 for 24 hours). The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy, that's about where the positives end. When we came back to the hotel that night, we hadn't eaten any dinner so we asked for room service (which is advertised throughout the hotel as being a 24 hour service). However, we were told room service wasn't available as they were too busy and there were only two members of staff to do it. Why advertise it then? I suggest Best Western employ more members of staff, particularly at such a busy time of year. Surely maximum occupancy is something that every hotel strives for, when it achieves it it should be a good thing rather than an inconvenience. There is a Premier Inn just down the road that I have stayed in before and was a LOT better. I wouldn't stay at the Best Western again, there are other better hotels around for the same kind of budget.

"Good hospitality"
RaniYu, 10 Décembre 2017

I stayed 5 days at this hotel. I checked out on 11 pm and it's only 10 minutes by taxi from station street where I get off from the coach. The wifi was free and the signal was good. The hotel room was comfortable, clean, have a good space and there is a bathtub in the bathroom. The hotel is only 5 minutes walking to the city center and Christmas market if you visit Nottingham in December. In my opinion as Asian, the breakfast menu was boring as it's always the same choice everyday (egg, sausage, bread), however they have various kind of beverage (i like the hot chocolate).

"Overnight stay"
D5069IIneilr, 08 Décembre 2017

The hotel is situated close to the city centre, so it's an easy walk if you want to go into town. Being on the fifth floor gave me a view of Nottingham, and considering it was close to the city centre nice and quiet as well. There is a car park at the hotel, but it's small and only accommodates a few cars, so it's a bit pot luck as to whether you can get a space or not, but there are several car parks close by. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable, so no complaints from me. There was adequate choice on the bar menu, and a good selection for breakfast.

"Large group of International Visitors"
280fionaa, 06 Décembre 2017

We have an annual event for 50 international visitors each year. We have used the Best western for the last 4 years. They have always been extremely courteous and welcoming to our visitors and dealt with all their requests quickly and efficiently. It is an ideal city centre location and very reasonable priced.

"Well located and comfortable"
161mouradr, 05 Décembre 2017

We liked location near the shops. Rooms were fine and breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price was right on the day I booked. I wanted to extend one night but price had gone up.

"Central Hotel"
karenrS5764UF, 05 Décembre 2017

The hotel was easy to find and very close to City Centre attractions. The reception staff were very helpful & the rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The beds were dreadful, very saggy with no mattress protectors. The shower was poor, and the bath was very slippery (no anti-slip bath mat available)

"Worse Christmas meal ever!"
debshan, 02 Décembre 2017

I didn't stay in the hotel but had my works Christmas party there. The food was appalling. The soup had no flavour, the terrine was like dog food, the turkey was a minute portion and didn't taste like turkey, it had a salty processed taste. The gravy was tasteless as was the veg. The parsnips were dry, so was the stuffing, I got 1 sprout on my plate. The lemon tart filling was ok, but the pastry case was dry and had an odd taste. The only thing that was marginally good was the roast potatoes, which were a bit burnt. Not what I expected for £25. I came home and had a pizza.

"great"
Georgina W, 30 Novembre 2017

Brilliant stayed overnight after seeing a concert, hotel was clean and breakfast was excellent. Only problem was the room wasn't ready on time and we had to wait, though reception was very apologetic it was little annoying.

"One or Two Minor Gripes, But Would Definitely Use Again"
Andrew G, 27 Novembre 2017

Stayed for two nights arriving 20 November 2017. I had room 313 and found it a bit noisy in the mornings as there was a service area for the hotel below my window. Heard trucks etc. collecting bins for example. Air conditioning very noisy, but switched it off at night. Room very clean, and bed very comfortable. Plenty of hot water in bathroom. Good wi-fi signal, but did require a new access code after first day as pass only for 24 hours. Couldn't add dinner to room as hadn't registered a card -- hadn't been asked to at check-in. Breakfast fine, but I'd lose the radio / music from dining area. Too loud and mostly drivel. Location is excellent, and staff very friendly. Would use again, and comfort and location meant a 4 from me.

"Excellent location"
Steve C, 23 Novembre 2017

We stayed overnight after a visit to the Motorpoint Arena. The hotel is standard city centre type and very satisfactory. Great location for all main central Nottingham venues and restaurants. Only gripes were the air con/heating fan was so loud we had to turn it off to get to sleep and in a similar vein, the spring closers on the doors cause them to slam and we could hear every door close on our corridor (or so it seemed).

"Conveniently located"
Cameoe777, 19 Novembre 2017

Excellent location for an above average hotel, convenient for business. Nice rooms, internet included. I did not try the breakfast. The hotel staff was very kind. There is limited parking on site, but there is also a public parking nearby with agreed rates.

"Hotel as a conference venue"
DJH62, 17 Novembre 2017

I have spent the last two days facilitating a workshop for 25 people (some staying overnight) in this hotel and we had dinner on the first night. The conference facilities are excellent - equipment was provided and the late change of seating arrangements also accommodated. The tea and coffee area was kept well supplied and the space very clean and tidy. The lunches and dinner were lovely - well prepared, plenty of choice and I liked the buffet service. Mo looked after us superbly - a credit to the hotel. Will definitely use this venue again.

"Decent enough hotel for overnight stay."
stacesl3, 15 Novembre 2017

Stayed here last week on a business trip. Hotel located in a pretty good spot, very central. Stayed on the 6th floor so pretty quiet, room was a standard size I would say, bathroom very clean. Kettle in the room with biscuits, I liked that there was an iron/ironing board in the room so you dont have to ask for these. Bed was pretty comfy and a range of pillows so something to suit everyone. Breakfast was just okay, not a huge amount of pastries, and my bacon was overdone and no grilled tomatoes...I know that sounds petty but just a personal preference, we only had limited time so couldn't ask for anything. Overall not a bad hotel, ideal for an overnight stay. I would probably rate this 'good'

"Not too impressed"
Vic_brookes, 14 Novembre 2017

I arrived and parked up only to be told that as I hadn't booked a parking space. It wasn't the content of the request more the manner in which it was presented. When I got to my room I found that my WiFi password had expired (it has to be logged onto within 2 hours of check in. When I got to the bar I wanted to put my drink on my room but was asked to pay as I hadn't registered my card at reception. The receptionist had not offered this as an option. Room was nice and in a good spot (less than a mile from the parking I finally found) Not dead bad but the staff were not particularly helpful and travelling a lot for business means that I do appreciate helpful and friendly staff sometime more than the room/facilities.

"Good central location"
dianapU6032CH, 14 Novembre 2017

Carpark is an added bonus although chargeable very convenient, allowed us time for a little shopping on the day we vacated.Stayed in room 501, spacious, airy, lovely comfy bed. Check in was quick and efficient. This was our 3rd stay and we will return again.

"5* service"
macpark2016, 13 Novembre 2017

Excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the two young lads serving at breakfast on Saturday morning. The room was comfortable, and it was very easy to control the temperature. Only slight moan was the fan on the air con/heating. It was very loud, even on the lowest setting. Bathroom was spotless and gleaming.

"Rescued by sensible email!"
Paul S, 11 Novembre 2017

Getting lost on our way in the centre of Nottingham, the email had a real phone number that took me straight through to reception rather than through some distant call centre. The trainee receptionist guided us in in a very short space of time, and we had parking on site that we hadn't expected. Very grateful we had a good stay in a clean room, excellent staff and excellent breakfast.

"Overnight stay "
di_brooks, 08 Novembre 2017

Ideal location minutes away from theatre we were visiting. Reception staff very welcoming and efficient. Had booked for three single occupancy rooms (all)given an upgrade on arrival/double bed/coffee machine as well as tea tray with biscuits in each room. I had a faulty kettle which was replaced when I informed reception. My only gripe was the air-con was noisy so I switched it off. Clean room. Good selection breakfast buffet. Definitely use this hotel on next visit to Nottingham.

"Very central"
4dgatts, 07 Novembre 2017

In the heart of Nottingham this hotel is a must for visitors. Close to all public transport and 15 minutes walk from station. Good choice of shopping, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance.

"Great for the Royal Concert Hall"
Lisa K, 07 Novembre 2017

We stayed for one night to attend a concert at the Royal concert hall excellent location, tram just seconds away . We booked a superior room, very good quality. Room was at the back of the hotel on the fifth floor, nice and quiet , no street noise. Room comfy and well equipped, plenty of plug space and bed was really big and soft . Only slight criticism was breakfast as the hot food was overcooked due to being under the hotplates too long. Everything else was great and staff very polite. Good stay !

"Theatre trip"
alanwI7879WF, 07 Novembre 2017

Excellent location for attending Nottingham theatres. Good value for money. Card can be a little tricky to get it to open bedroom door. Try it a few times! Put card in slot on entering room or you will have no lighting! Not overstaffed but they are obliging.

"steve and ruths wedding"
birdmanivan, 07 Novembre 2017

as father of the groom i thougherly enjoyed the 3 night stay .ur organisation of there wedding day was second to none ,nothing was to much trouble for your staff ,my room was lovely and clean . wouldnt hesitate to use your hotel again

"Night at the Opera, Just the Job!"
Tony O, 03 Novembre 2017

This was just a one night stop to drop in at the opera, staged at the Theatre Royal about two minutes from this hotel. The location and price couldn't have been better! The reception staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. The disabled room (201) could not have been better. Plenty of space in the shower room, with a proper walk-in, easy to use shower, and located very close to the lift. The actual room was excellent, plenty of storage space and a good sized bed. We didn't eat here as there is so many restaurants in the local area. We chose 'Revolution', our first time in one of these chain restaurants. It was brilliant; the service, the food- both choice and quality. Not knowing the area, we booked a parking spot in the hotel indoor car park. This is very limited, maybe eight cars. But that would depend on the the individual driving skills. A better option for disabled badge holders would be to park outside the front of the hotel, there are parking bays for disabled badge holders. So much easier. Make sure to use your badge, as the Nottingham traffic wardens are like Doctor Who characters, they appear out of nowhere, give a ticket, and disappear just as quick. The location of this hotel is great if you want the Theatre Royal, restaurants, the indoor market and a ridiculous amount of shops. We will be using this venue again.

"Nice location Poor Hotel"
Claire T, 01 Novembre 2017

Booked as central for a gig at the theatre royal....all good up to arriving car park space booked, upgraded room with what sounded like nice extras. Left car went shopping then back to check in....downhill from there. Booked twin room and upon entry seemed okay, but upon looking closer.....upgrades were poor.....nespresso machine with just 2 poss. No extra milk....dressing gowns stiff and smelly shoved in drawers....and the beds, oh my god....supposed to have mattress toppers on them as upgrades.....NOTHING JUST A MATRESS WITH A SHEET. Spoke to reception who after nearly a hour moved us to another room....NEXT DOOR...all okay there but bathroom smelt damp and dank. Towels awful not soft but had enough by now....made the most of it....COMPLETE LACK OF PLUG SOCKETS APART FROM NEAR THE TELEVISION meaning hard to get ready rtf. Noisy overnight with cars and Screeching people but is central so expected that. Noisy aircon or something outside room....Doors not flush so when lights off light from the hallway shines under the door and also through the peephole. Breakfast wow what an afterthought that was.....overcooked sausages like rubber, Had to wait 10 mins for a fried egg.....croissants and baked goods overbaked and dry......fried items and hot items all been Sitting there for a while, was no pride taken in this, seen better in a layby cafe. Would not recommend something overall not quite right here, dated hotel and Def not BEST

"Central gem."
lmille_380927, 31 Octobre 2017

Lovely hotel in centre of Nottingham, with small parking area which is useful. Room was good size, comfy bed and clean bright bathroom with a lovely big shower. Only down side is you can hear the street noise/crossing beeping, maybe needs extra glazing to make room quieter.

"1 night visit"
RobertsonFamily13, 31 Octobre 2017

Clean, comfy beds, bathroom very good standard. Daughter & i visited son at university in Nottingham was ideally situated in the centre, parking onsite good. Very close to shops & restaurants, will use again

"Great Location, Friendly Staff, Good Hotel"
Mr_Clueso_Inspects, 30 Octobre 2017

I stayed here for a week, and not knowing very much about Nottingham and which was it wasn't a good area I wasn't sure what to expect. This is a great hotel if your visit takes you to the centre of the city, and the theatre is literally just outside. Bars, restaurants and shopping are literally all around and you're not going to be more than a 10 min walk from any of the major attractions really. The hotel has to sides, 1 facing the street where you enter, the other faces towards the city centre and the main road. I'd avoid the top floor, as there seems to be a hum perhaps from an air con unit on the roof, the other floors seemed to be quieter. I also found the side facing the city to be both quieter (mostly) and with a better view. However on the noise front, the glazing isn't the best and you can hear some traffic noise, and on the busier nights in town rowdy revellers may disrupt you. That aside though I found it to be perfectly reasonable, clean, and the staff friendly. They also offer a parking deal with the Talbot Street Q park which is a cheap as it gets too.

"5am trip report writing "
Pamela K, 25 Octobre 2017

Well this is a first. It's 5am on a Thursday morning and I've been awake for 15 minuets and no sign of sleep returning. I am currently in bed writing this report. I have been woken by numerous delivery trucks and bin wagons. I feel like I've woken up in Kings Cross station it's so loud. I have a fell day of meetings and the lack of sleep is a major concern. I was disappointed to discover that all beds are single ones zipped together, so if you're like me I wanna star fish when I have the bed to myself.......well you can't, unless you was a sore back from the lack of support in the middle of the bed. I don't need to leave the hotel until 9.30 so it's a bit early to consider breakfast. I could never stay here again. Sorry.

"Sadly disappointed"
Jodie J, 25 Octobre 2017

Our room was not ready at check in time and was told it could be a couple of hours wait by a very rude receptionist. Room only had enough coffee for just one drink even though a deluxe room was booked for two people.

"Great location and freindly staff"
451simoncg, 24 Octobre 2017

This is a great location for the city centre of Nottingham and have always found the staff really supportive . Rooms are much improved and breakfast spot on. Only wish car parking was a bit cheaper but then it is in the middle of a city.

"Trip to Notts again"
W5632OGmarkw, 22 Octobre 2017

Great place to stay pleasant and helpful staff overall a good base for any trip to Nottingham central to lots of great music and theatre venues shops pubs clubs and restaurants. Always a good place to stay and ever helpful staff

"overnight stay"
Yanni111, 19 Octobre 2017

Everything was adequate & location was perfect. Reasonably comfortable & staff were great. Car park was fine & restaurant/bar facilities good. Lifts were modern & re-assuring. En-suite bathroom was nice

"Review"
richardaR4304BB, 19 Octobre 2017

Taking into account that the hotel is in the city centre my stay for the money not very good my bed was quiet uncomfortable I suffer with a bad back and this bed was way below at other hotels at cheaper prices The noise levels from the local night club was totally unexceptable which I believe triple glazing would have helped The breakfast for your nightly rate was not good with low quaility sausages However on the plus side the cleanliness of the room was very good

"Good value for money - bit of external noise"
SBarnesDarlington_UK, 19 Octobre 2017

Food excellent, room of a high specification with a smashing shower & complimentary toiletries & large bath sheets. Staff were all very friendly & helpful. The only negative was some noise from the street when the nightclubs were turning out BUT what can you expect when you are in a busy city centre location which was extremely convenient in other ways.Very enjoyable stay. Thanks to all staff.

"Excellent service"
glescaboy, 18 Octobre 2017

Stayed here for a two night get together with friends and could not fault anything about the hotel. From food to accommodation was perfect and the staff could not be better responding to requests. Would visit again.

"Very good hotel"
Clive B, 18 Octobre 2017

Good efficient and friendly staff. I arrived too early room wasn't ready.I went for a pint in a pub close by, it's a heavy rock pub, didn't stay long. The food in the hotel restaurant was good and a fair plateful the staff in the bar and restaurant very good

"One night only...."
mark d, 12 Octobre 2017

Late booking and didn't realise the goose fair was in town so very happy with the stay. There was a wedding in the hotel which if we were intending of eating in the restaurant would have been a disappointment but as we were eating out didn't affect us. The room was fairly decent although wouldn't class as a superior double but the breakfast was very nice with a lot if choice for a buffet. Would recommend.

"Noisy"
mrees_873552, 12 Octobre 2017

Friday night stay. Lots of hen and stags staying in the hotel woken up 3 times early hours of the morning when they were coming back to their rooms. Room in need of refurbishment and definitely needs new mattresses as the 3 in our room had collapsed

"Good with one or two provisos"
puttingitright, 12 Octobre 2017

We had a short break here last month. The hotel is pretty much in the city centre and has parking for 12 vehicles with direct access to reception. We booked a parking space in advance and that worked well. Otherwise there is a multi storey car park virtually opposite. The room was well equiped, clean and comfortable with the exception that the wardrobe was of the doorless variety which does not make for pleasant viewing and seems to save little if any space. The bathroom was excellent with a really good shower. Ou room had rather a bleak view and was very noisy with the window ope. But the double glazing was very good and cut out all the noisy. The room was air conditioned wfficiently and with minimal noise. The dining room is very wooden and open with a lower level with buffet area and bar. The breakfast buffet was reasonably good with a fair variety of cooked ptions and porrage available to order. It would have been nice if the continental breakfast could have been extended to include fresh rolls and some cooked meats. But, all in all, breakfast was very satisfactory. Efficient toast maker and self seve tea and coffee. Not so dinner. We dined there once, on the Saturday, and we were the only diners. From time to time groups of men came to the bar and were fairly noisy - as much to do with acoustics as the people. The dining room under these circumstances seemed umwelcoming and lacking in ambience with the two of us eating alone. It would probably be far nicer when a third or half full which it probably is during the week.. Unfortunately the food did not make up for that and was at best very indifferent. Fortunately there are many restaurants of a variety of types within easy walking distance. Reception was efficient and pleasant. Efficient lifts. There are some meeting rooms and I would imagine this would be a good place for business meetings and small events. I also feel it is a good place to stay for weekend braks and I would certainly be happy to stay there again. Score better than 3, but not 4.

"Ok but not worth the money"
martingH8534WR, 12 Octobre 2017

Ordered a bottle of champagne for on arrival as a surprise but wasnt ready so had to sit in a very inadequate reception area for 15 mins Nothing special about the hotel or room really clean but only really a £90 a night room

"Rude behaviour"
sarahQ7022YU, 12 Octobre 2017

Night porter was incredibly rude and reduced my daughter to tears - not acceptable. His behaviour was poor and showed a lack of training. No one should be spoken to in this way ever. This totally spoilt our stay.

"A not so restful sleep"
clooneycolgan, 04 Octobre 2017

Arrived at the best western mid afternoon, small but serviceable, rooms were a good size, everything you could need for a weekend stay, the let down was the bed - it was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever stayed in, it sank in the middle and was lumpy, not conducive to a good nights sleep - made all the more annoying by the fact it faced the Main Street so lots of external noise because the room was uncomfortably warm too - come on best western improve your mattresses!

"Great hotel and great location."
paulinecR7134BX, 04 Octobre 2017

Travelling with friends for a concert so location was excellent and near to a vast variety of good restaurants. I could recommend the Turkish restaurant.... scrummy food. I would recommend this hotel.

"Better than expected "
MissKayKayXOXO, 04 Octobre 2017

Was a bit worried about staying here as I thought it was going to be a bit old and shabby but I was wrong! Check is was very simple and quick. Room was a lot bigger than expected, had three beds even though I'd only booked a double. Bed was massive and comfy. All areas clean and pretty quiet. Only negative was the room was cold, not really something that ever happens in a hotel. Basically I used my hotels.com rewards to stay here so was very happy with the outcome. Would recommend and stay again.

"Great room; had everything I needed"
rnew111, 04 Octobre 2017

Room was better than expected, very clean, lovely big bed, all the bits and bobs I needed. Continental part of breakfast was really great. Hot part was not - eggs so runny my plate was covered in water that made everything soggy, poor quality / cheap sausages. Free wifi is great, but the password expires a couple of minutes after you arrive - I got to my room, unpacked, went to logon and it had expired!

"Trip to Notts"
mwarre_437217, 03 Octobre 2017

Great place to stay pleasant and helpful staff overall a very pleasant place to stay and nice and central for all the local pubs clubs and many sights around town plenty to see and do and great facilities

"Wedding"
Kay C, 19 Septembre 2017

A fabulous wedding venue, beautiful garden and pagoda for the ceremony. The hotel rooms were really clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The wedding breakfast was delicious and hot. Could not fault a thing. A fabulous wedding.

"Ideal Location for City Centre"
fredallcock, 14 Septembre 2017

The Best Western Plus in Nottingham is ideally placed for the City. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the Staff were all very Courteous and Polite. The food in the Restaurant at Dinner and also at Breakfast was very good.

"Handy city centre hotel"
TortgirlScotland, 10 Septembre 2017

This hotel is right in the city centre and there is plenty of public transport close to the hotel. The ground floor of the hotel appears small but there is much more room on the upper floors. The room was quiet and well decorated with a modern bathroom and excellent shower. There is air conditioning but I did not need it. The room had a nice city view. Dinner in the restaurant was good value and the breakfast was plentiful. Wi fi worked well but you need a separate code for each device.

"Good Hotel, Good Price"
Tabs72, 06 Septembre 2017

We stayed at the hotel for one night and it was on a groupon deal. The hotel was very pleasant and all staff were helpful. The room we stayed in seem recently renovated and was full of little extra such as a coffee machine, bottle water etc. Location is first class with all shops, restaurants, cinema etc minutes away. Parking is available at Q parks a five minute walk discounted to under £10. Breakfast was very good, buffet style with attentive staff who offered several options of egg cooking to accompany your breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay for under £60 with breakfast.

"The Place to stay"
316lanc, 05 Septembre 2017

Excellent place, comfortable, hospitable, clean and the food is good. Staff are friendly and professional when I was check in, as I was late when checked in, the staff was so attentive and made it so quickly so that I can get to my room and rest. The room was clean and everything were spotless and well presented. I will definitely come back and stay at this hotel, so convenience for my needs. The location is easy enough to find and yet I can get to the motorway so quickly also. Parking facility were excellent.

"Good location but a few niggles"
Isobel B, 30 Août 2017

We stayed in mid August for a two night stay in a triple room. The three separate beds in each room is good however having three beds on the side of the room with NO electrical sockets beside any of the three beds which meant we had to keep getting up and plugging/unplugging phones and laptops. Between three of us we had 5 devices and there weren't sockets enough for this so we spent a lot of time swapping which item we were charging which was a bit of a pain. Get wifi codes and passwords when you check in and be advised you need a separate code for every single device so if there's three people with 5 devices, you'll need 5 different accesses. They print these off on a slip which is helpful. On arrival we tried to check in at 2pm but were told the room wasn't quite ready. We felt quite tired and really wanted to get into the room which by 2.20pm we finally went up to our floor and sat outside until we could get in which wasn't until about 2.35pm which was really unwelcome and not satisfactory to us. Maybe get more cleaners so they have time to do each room? The room was clean and well presented when we went in. Room 210 - one issue with the windows. Opened these a crack when we had not long been in the room. Once the air con was working decided to close them. Literally nearly lost a finger - the handles are hanging off and the opening/closing mechanism which sits into the frame is so stiff that whilst pulling like mad to try and get the window to move, it closed suddenly on my finger. Cue a lot of very bad language on my part, finger bruised and with a large dent in it. This needs fixing - someone could lose their finger. No excuse for this to be unrepaired like this. It is however a VERY good location for the theatre and all of the city centre, and it's very close indeed to the tram (there's a stop just outside the theatre) so it's easy to get places by public transport. We pre-booked the hotel car park which was highly convenient indeed.

"Don't stay here"
cambs2005, 30 Août 2017

Really great location! The hotel stunk of smoke everywhere! When entering the room, we could see loads of drugs use from our view. So either this was happening next door, or the cleaners dont clean. Either way there were drugs happening at some point.

"Great Location "
Chris E, 29 Août 2017

Good value for money , clean and tidy rooms , very good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice . The location is excellent, only 50 yards from the very centre of Nottingham. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is limited on site parking , only about 15 - 20 spaces , so we pre booked at a cost of £12 which covered us for our 24 hour stay ! Overall a very good experience!

"Well situated for exploring Nottingham"
Sandra B, 29 Août 2017

The location of the hotel was really good. Near the city centre and located very close the main tram route. The hotel room was good but the bed was really uncomfortable. The mattress seemed very close the end of its life so very poor nights sleep. Other facilities fine but not up to 4 star rating. Hotel has very very limited parking which must be pre booked and was full when we stayed there. Had to use car park a couple of streets away which was quite pricy.

"3 Night Business Trip"
Scarlettsdad, 23 Août 2017

Stayed on Business for 3 nights. The room has been refurbed to a high standard, being large and well appointed. There was a fair bit of Road noise and the A/C was so loud it's impossible to sleep with it on. The Food was excellent although they did run out of several options over the three days. The Hotel is ideally located in the heart of Nottingham, with Marco Pierre Whites and a Casino next door. 100 Yards to a Tram Station and very close to Nottingham Rock City. Free Wifi, but you must validate the code immediately.

"EXCELLENT"
Graham B, 20 Août 2017

After initial problem with the booking - do not book 2 rooms and try to pay for them once !! - the stay was terrific. We had a superior room which was brilliant. Stayed 3 nights - staff superb, breakfasts great .

"Good stopping point "
Laurista, 19 Août 2017

Stayed with family if 5, had to book 2 rooms as cannot have 3 kids in 1, but was a good price considering we rocked up late as we were not go no to make it to our campsite. Rooms were a good size, clean, tea and coffee. Breakfast was good in the grill across the road. Good stopping point.

"Nice overnight stay"
Halfblood-Queen, 16 Août 2017

We had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel, as promised we got a discounted rate at the Qpark across the road and round the corner, 2-3 mins walk away as their car park was full. The room we were given on the 5th floor was large, bright and comfortable with a large double bed, there was an ironing board and iron (we didn't need this) however I didn't see a hairdryer, there was tea/coffee facilities and you could have optional room service if you wanted it, there was also a small flatscreen TV with free view channels, the buffet breakfast was pleasing and plentiful my only gripe were the hash browns I think they must have been stood that long they had gone brittle and shattered like glass when I tried to cut into it and it went everywhere, staff should be mindful of how long food has been stood, reception staff were really helpful as were the staff in the dining room, we didn't have our evening meal in the hotel as the bar and restaurant was closed due to a private function so can't comment on this, all in all we enjoyed our trip to Nottingham.

"Mr"
Neil W, 15 Août 2017

I stay here for business on a weekly basis. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were recently refurbished to a high standard. There is always a warm welcome from the friendly and efficient reception staff, who greet guests in a pleasant yet professional manner. Special mention must be made of Claire, whose customer service skills are exemplary - always cheerful and helpful; an excellent ambassador for the Best Western brand.

"Nice place for short stay"
Matthew C, 09 Août 2017

Stayed with friends for a weekend. Rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was popular with the group and had a lot of options. Parking nearby but may be limited for the elderly or disabled as not part of the same building/property.

"Good"
Brent H, 07 Août 2017

Room where good and clean. Pricey but wasn't much choice left when we booked! Pre book the parking if you can, if not the nearest car park is 1 min away. Hotel car parking is quite tight though so becareful if you do Park in there!

"good modern place in Nottingham"
hmori_490296, 05 Août 2017

We enjoied large, splendid rooms and the modern equipement. A special surprise was the rich breakfast buffet with complete English breakfast, Continental breakfast and many fruits and cereals to choose. The hotel is located close to the centre of town and most of all points of interest are within walking distance.

"Nice clean hotel"
David E, 05 Août 2017

Nice and clean. Easy check in. Big beds but not the most comfortable as the ridge down the middle can be felt. Breakfast was acceptable buffet style but other hotels brands are much better quality in that department. Overall it was reasonable but there are better alternatives for the money.

"Stay for wedding."
susanlY4654HD, 03 Août 2017

Very pleased with hotel, excellent breakfast. The only draw back was driving to the hotel, even locals could not direct us!! Ended up driving over the tram lines as advised by a tradesman, apparently this is common practice!! This didn't spoil our stay at the hotel.

"Well placed little hotel for a city stay"
973rosie, 02 Août 2017

Uninspiring exterior hides a nice little hotel with unpretentious but practically laid out bedroom and modernised ensuite. The conservatory dining room was airy and attractive, and the self service breakfast worked well, including efficient coffee machines. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel car park is minute but the set up with the nearby public car park works well.

"5 night stay"
Shirley D, 02 Août 2017

reception staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was terrible, hash browns under cooked, beans thick and sloppy, asked if chef could make me french toast and was told he could not, last morning left without breakfast as was better at home.

"Not what it looked like in the picture"
petite66, 02 Août 2017

Welcome on reception was so unfriendly that it ruined my whole stay. We travelled from London arriving really late at the hotel. When I booked it I was told the Parking was on a first come basis, so I parked and went to reception (because it's small they can see the car park)and the guy on the desk first question was did you book a space, without any greeting and before I could answer he said you better move that then. I was horrified at the way he spoke. Not the attitude you need at that time of the night.

"Weekend stay"
Maccabmw, 02 Août 2017

The hotel is well located for the city centre shops and nightlife, we had a twin room which was clean and spacious, the bed mattress wasn't the best though. Shower and bathroom was modern and clean but the water pressure was a bit weak. Excellent breakfast and facilities were very good i.e. Nice bar and lounge areas, room was quiet with little outside noise, car parking limited though.

"Mid-Week Getaway"
tiffanyhattersley95, 22 Juillet 2017

We decided to visit Nottingham City Centre for a mid-week break and wanted a hotel close to the city centre, that was comfertable and functional to use as a base whilst exploring, the best western met and exceeded that requirement. upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who gave us advice on where to park, how to get around the city and some great places to eat (Annies Burger Shack!) We were given 2 keys and were left to settle in. The room was lovely and well above what we were expecting. There was a huge bed, desk with hairdryer, mirror and televisoon etc. Ample wardrobe space, table chairs and en-suite bathroom. The room was clean, fresh, big and comfortable and the bathroom was surprisingly modern for a middle of the range hotel. There is 24 hour room service and always someone on reception, which is always nice. We didn't opt to have breakfast, so unfortunately can't comment but we did swing by (accidentally) one morning and there looked to be a big array of the usual hotel continental style. The hotel is based next to a tram stop and is a stonesthrow away from the centre of town, it was a great location to visit the city for shopping, with the cornerhouse very nearby.

"A pleasant stay"
Jenna R, 21 Juillet 2017

Can't beat that location! A hundred steps from the tram and the city centre, it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go from there. Nice shower, and more room than friends of ours had in a more expensive hotel across the street. Elevators are a little cozy with kids or luggage, but we were pleased.

"Daughters graduatìon"
Jane C, 21 Juillet 2017

We stayed here overnight arriving at 8.30pm.Driving here after having finished work. The room was clean (spotless) including the bathroom. Tea making facilities, iron and ironing board. Airconditìoning! We went for a look at the concert hall and when the graduation would be delivered. Well sign posted. There is a few pub and a casino nearby with loud music. But this quieted later and the Windows being closed cut the volume down ( no problem). The breakfast was good and staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was early for us at 6.30am due to going to the university for 8am (cap and gown collection). We asked for a fried egg and was given them within minutes (freshly cooked). Can't fault the place was university has finished or we could call again.

"Great Location for City Centre"
Hotspur2014, 20 Juillet 2017

Stayed 2 x nights for son's graduation. Perfect location for Royal Concert Hall, literally 3 minute walk. Great for all the other city centre attractions. Very good size room, clean and well equipped shower room. Plenty of car parks close by which you need to pay for, but I guess that is the trade off for the central location. Reception staff very helpful and efficient. Clean, modern interior.

"Lovely reception staff"
Morley69, 17 Juillet 2017

Didn't like the bed it was like sleeping on a sack of potatoes, apart from that the room was nice. Breakfast was a little sad, staff a little slow to replenish and it was just like warm. The two ladies in reception were lovely and helpful. Hotel is an ideal location in the city centre

"Terrible"
rgolds_467779, 17 Juillet 2017

The light in the bathroom was not working. The shower was rubbish and the beds had the springs coming through the mattresses. We tried to get a parking space 2 days before travel but was told the car park was full but that they had special deal with q park which was about 10 mins walk away. Location excellent for the town centre but no breakfast included and only 4 pound cheaper than premier inn!!! Would never stay again worse nights sleep ever plus all night all we heard was the emptying of bottle bins outside our window.

"Flying visit, great place to stay"
David O, 17 Juillet 2017

Had a one night stop over whilst visiting Nottingham. This hotel is ideally suited for a night out in the centre of Nottingham! Car parking is a little limited for a such a large hotel. 'First come, first served'. Never great in a city centre. Rooms were great. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom facilities. Quiet night. (Aircon didnt work and leaving it on was too noisy to sleep.).

"Extremely Good"
Tom S, 17 Juillet 2017

Extremely comfortable and affordable hotel. Highly recommended for anybody visiting Nottingham as it is right in the heart of the city. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable and very clean. Free wifi worked very well. Breakfast was also very good with a lot of options available.

"Efficiency and convenience"
madeleine382, 13 Juillet 2017

Very nice stay in Best Western Plus Hotel. I appreciated the friendly personal an the comfort of the room. Excellent location in the city center near to the tramway stop and to shopping avenues. The Breakfast was very good.

"Student visit"
Richard P, 12 Juillet 2017

Very nice room. Good breakfast. Excellent reception staff. Evening meal offering needs serious review if they wish to encourage eating in! Overall a very pleasant quick stay. Being asked to write 200 characters is a pain.

"Excellent access to city centre"
mikkot225, 12 Juillet 2017

Traveling with family. We got good rooms with plenty of floor space. Bed were comfortable to sleep. Breakfast was regular british with all options. Black budding was a bit unique taste, maybe regional specialty. Remember - very limited number of parking places! Generally very good hotel.

"Basic, adequate for a couple of evenings"
drfling, 09 Juillet 2017

Location - Very close to center, shops and restaurants which is always a bonus, though the hotel wasn't so easy to find as it's behind a main road Service - Pretty basic yet sufficient for checking in and out (didn't use any of their in-room service for my 2-night stay) Cleaniless - Good enough, bathroom almost spotlessly clean Downsides - 1) No mini bar in the room, so there's no way to keep my bottles of purchase cold, though the bar staff was happy to supply buckets of ice; 2) My view was just the opposite hotel, but considering that it's a short stay, neither bothered me too much as long as the other aspects were up to standard; 3) Woke up by the bin truck emptying the large bins in early morning as my side of the room was facing the back street, this might bother some guests more than others; 4) Wifi only works for one device!

"Human factor"
irena659, 08 Juillet 2017

Very good location in city center close or in short walk distance from most sight seeing places. Good room facilities/features and breakfast. Good external noise and smell isolation. Unfortunately at second stay night neighbours were drunk, they were smoking on the corridor, and this cigaret smell came through the gap in the bottom of the door into room.

"Hubby's Birthday"
JennieJulian, 05 Juillet 2017

Stayed for three nights to celebrate husbands birthday. Room large and clean. Staff all very friendly. Bed was large king size and very comfortable. Shower and bath excellent Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again if we return to area

"Worst bed I've slept in"
Danielle P, 29 Juin 2017

The mattress was so old it had I dip in where the hundreds of people have slept in it before. I tried to roll out of the dip but it was impossible it was that deep! Breakfast was pretty horrible too but on one plus is the location.

"Room great all other areas disappointing"
ShazzaW50, 28 Juin 2017

Stayed for one night (and I am writing this whilst I am still at the hotel) on business. The room is great and the hotel is in a fantastic location (walking from the station to the hotel it is evident the hotel is in a very vibrant area of Nottingham); room and bathroom very clean so no complaints there. However, the room and all the common areas on the second floor are invaded with cooking smells. I ate in the hotel restaurant and would have to say it is one of the most depressing and underwhelming places I have ever eaten in and the food matched the experience. I wonder if the management have ever sat in the restaurant and experienced it as guests do - the air conditioning is noisy and blasts out and I would suspect that contributes to the cooking fat smells pervading the restaurant. I ordered Hunters chicken and it did, to a point, resemble the menu description, however the chips and onion rings had obviously been cooked in old fat and tasted terrible. The staff are great, very helpful and it isn't their fault there are issues, management should experience all areas of the hotel as guests have to. I run a hospitality business in the Highlands of Scotland and have done just that so I know what my guests are likely to experience. I don't like rating accommodation with a 3-star as I can only imagine how that must feel to the management and staff at this hotel but there are issues which should be addressed. I would recommend staying but strongly advise to eat elsewhere

"Nice"
smills_755748, 25 Juin 2017

Hotel was really nice, we booked to check in around 11-12 but when we arrived we had to wait until 3 which was a disappointment. Room was standard even though we paid more for a better room, staff friendly and breakfast in the morning good!

"Good hotel, friendly staff and nice room. "
andy1234567800, 24 Juin 2017

Stayed in the hotel with a friend as was going on a night out in Nottingham. Really good location. Very central and about two minutes walk from the corner house which had a few good bars near it. The room was relatively expensive for Nottingham but it was because I booked fairly late on and it turned out to be cheaper than most hotels in Nottingham. They have onsite parking but limited space so ask before you go. If not there's a 24 hour car park across the road for about £13 for 24 hours. The room was nice, staff were friendly and would stay there again. Only spent one night there and the breakfast wasn't included in the deal I booked so can't comment on the food but the bar was nice and reasonably priced. Would stay there again

"short break"
John R, 24 Juin 2017

staff really nice and helpful as always . rooms comfy and quiet . breakfast could have been hotter . good location for everything , and very clean . everything you need from a hotel for a few days away .

"Best Western Hotel, Nottingham "
Jeanette M, 23 Juin 2017

Booked in last night. Excellent location. Room ok. Water pressure nearly zilch. Mattress awful... very uncomfortable- not had much sleep at all. Breakfast was cold... Good point-car parking on site, reserve at time of booking. There is a charge!

"1 night stay."
npriceiom, 22 Juin 2017

Excellent 1 night stay in a great hotel Very good value for money. Hotel right in the centre of Nottingham. Great deal of things to see & do with lots of restaurants & bars right on the doorstep. Within walking distance of the railway station.

"Decent stay but shocking wifi"
Wint22, 21 Juin 2017

I went to Best Western when it was originally under different management and was very pleased with my stay so opted to return despite the change in management/ owners. My stay at the hotel was very good and I cannot fault the room as such- I got an upgrade which was an added bonus. The breakfast selection was very good! My only complaint would be that of the wifi, it was truly shocking. Given the fact I was in Nottingham for work purposes the slow and temperamental wifi was not conducive to me getting any work done.

"Great Choice"
abdelrida2017, 21 Juin 2017

I was in the hotel during June, the stay was comfort and the staff were very helpful. It has excellent location just few steps from everything. I was granted late checkout for free. Certainly I book again.

"Nice hotel near Nottingham centre"
david m, 21 Juin 2017

Facilities and staff at this hotel are very good reception staff are friendly attentive and professional and give advise and directions about the city breakfast in good have used this hotel a couple of times will definitely use again if visiting Nottingham again

"Amazing stay - lovely staff!"
shanemckye, 14 Juin 2017

Stayed for a night with a friend and had a lovely night, as soon as we arrived we was welcomed with a warm smile - the receptionist's were very helpful. The reception lady with the glasses was friendly and made us feel more than just another guest, even made us laugh! the Bar staff were lovely - specially the girls on there.. rooms are spacious and very comfy! location is perfect- everything within walking distance :) thanks guys!!

"All round ideal hotel."
LordLeeD, 14 Juin 2017

The hotel was in an ideal location near the city centre, the hotel was easy to get around, the bar was relaxing and excellent service. The room was very nice, it was clean and had a nice view on the top floor.

"Didn't feel safe"
mc10111010, 08 Juin 2017

The carpet inside the hotel room looks dirty, very uncomfortable mattress, I don't think they clean the room everyday, I can see dust and food stains on tables and shelves. We didn't feel safe when we were in the room all time, there is no fixed lock inside the room, so everyone with a hotel card might enter the room easily, and at night time, there were people yelling at the corridor. We stayed there for two nights and on the second day one of our key card was not working, so we went to the front desk, the lady was very rude and told us not to put the key card together with the iphone, and the strangest part was the key belongs to another room!! We have put the keys in out wallets all the way during the stay.

"Nottingham"
lstone826, 08 Juin 2017

Great place. Staff was absolutely wonderful. They answered all our questions, helped us navigate to places of interest and sort out parking. They even helped us reserve our very own parking spot in the garage as we had a very large van that could only be parked in the very last space before the exit.

"Quick visit"
jacrimel, 07 Juin 2017

Excellent value for money. Good quality produce for breakfast.Very satisfied with our room, great walk in shower as was needed. Staff are very friendly and obliging, easy to book and within easy walking distance of the theatres.

"A great place in central Nottingham"
Richard O, 05 Juin 2017

Just round the corner from the city centre and with comfortable rooms. Bright and warm breakfast room on first floor. About 10 minutes walk from the Castle and, if you want to go shopping, you're immediately into the main commercial district.

"Amazing staff"
rthomp_754304, 05 Juin 2017

We stayed for a hen do and the staff were fabulous. They were so accommodating and did everything they could to make sure our stay was perfect. Thank you! The hotel was located in an ideal area, within walking distance to most things.

"Booked parking not available / noisy at night"
DLandKL, 01 Juin 2017

We arrived late on a Friday evening to be told that all the parking was booked, despite having requested it when making th booking. Staff blamed booking.com for not passing on our request but they had received our request for a quiet room which was written in the same linen on our booking request as the parking request. We were told it was a "city centre after all". We were offered cheaper parking at a nearby car park but as we had specifically booked this hotel for the onsite parking that was still an inconvenience - 7 minute drive back the next morning to collect bags due to the one way system. In terms of the "quiet room", we were awakened during the night by people shouting and banging on doors. Breakfast was both good and good value. Room clean and comfortable.

"My wedding venue"
J2656OLjulie, 01 Juin 2017

They did us proud absolutely amazing we held our wedding venue here and it was perfect thank you Andrew and Paulina and more head of catering you made our day perfect the rooms were amazing the food was amazing the staff couldn't do enough for you

"Quick trip"
johnbS2959FD, 01 Juin 2017

Excellent location room was excellent only downside the air con was noisy and didn't work but overall happy you can find all local transport nearby and it's only a bus ride from the race course didn't have any food but visited the Warsaw cafe a 10 min walk great breakfast

"Convenient City Centre location for touring Nottingham"
959colinp, 01 Juin 2017

We stopped at BW Plus to tour around the centre of Nottingham. The hotel was clean, efficiently run, staff were very pleasant and helpful, Room was plenty large enough, well equipped, newly decorated I think, and the 5th floor gave fairly good views.Comfortable very large bed, all the usual mod cons. Quiet at night considering the proximity of the busy road and being only a few minutes on foot to the city centre. The excellent Nottingham trams stop just a minute from the hotel entrance, and provide easy affordable access to the main parts of the city. Breakfasts were self service mostly, and a good choice of very good food. Would not hesitate staying there again!

"Good night out"
19kevm, 29 Mai 2017

Great location, only 100 metres from the Theatre Royal and 5 minutes walk to Market Square at the centre of Nottingham. Hotel was spotlessly clean, little noise from outside (but we were on the 5th floor). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Booked hotel parking in advance which was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice, Nottingham is a lively, vibrant city with some great restaurants and pubs. Had a good time and would definitely use this hotel again,

"Best western"
663wendy, 24 Mai 2017

Had a great stay and close to all the pubs and clubs. The town centre was about 5mins walk down hill, so be aware if you are walking back late after a few drinks its uphill with shopping bags. There is a nice little cafe just on tbe corner for sandwiches or a bacon butty.

"Do not stay here !!!!!"
ScottW999, 22 Mai 2017

Rooms were reasonable priced, and I can see why !!!!!!!! Single beds were uncomfortable, air con didn't work, and noice from outside horrendous at 6 in the morning as double glazing did little to block out traffic. Breakfast was awful, under cooked and raw !!! On plus side great location and clean rooms

"Great city centre hotel"
Julie C, 21 Mai 2017

This hotel is perfectly positioned in the city centre. Good size comfortable room with bath and shower. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Lots of restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Great shopping centre.

"Overnight stay for theartre visit"
sistersue61, 20 Mai 2017

A little difficult to find - even with the revised postcode the hotel advised, my car satnav would not locate it but Google Maps did! Car park - which has to be booked in advance - is compact and has a height restriction - as discovered by the minibus that hit its roof - fine for smaller cars. Small smoking area at top of car park ramp, just outside entrance. Friendly and welcoming staff, easy uncomplicated check in process, with wi-fi codes provided and as we booked a superior room a complimentary drink card. Our room was on the 5th floor, lifts were small but quick to arrive. Room was nice size, had iron, hairdryer, kettle and coffee machine with tea, coffee chocolate and biscuits provided as well as bottled water, We also ahd dressing gowns and slippers. Toiletries were Elemis and very nice, Bed was large, but was one that could be split into two, so there was a join in the middle which wasn't the most comfortable to lie on. Bathroom was clean and had a shower over the bath, unfortunaely the extractor fan did not switch off and was noisy all night. Lights are worked by putting key card into slot and the room was well lit. The hotel is as it sats only a two minute walk from the Theatre Royal and numerous eating places. The restaurant was lovely, we had evening meal there as we had very little time, the food was hot and tasty in good portion sizes, Breakfast was a buffet style with Continental and full English breakfast choices - this was cooked well, and very hot, with a good selection of food. Check out was also very easy.

"Worse hotel"
nathaen l, 20 Mai 2017

Worse hotel iv stayed in and im a electrical contractor so stayed in some bad ones. On arriving was a unconcious woman and blood all over reception floor. They had booked me 2 rooms instead of 1 which i requested. My tv channels were not working and reception told me it was cos im on top floor. Being in the trade i find this a rubbish excuse as iv installed in bigger hotels and got perfect reception on every room. All for £115 1 night stay bargain. Aviod like the plague.

"Hard to Find"
kparki_281332, 18 Mai 2017

Hotel is pretty good all round Breakfast excellent,However we spent over an hour and a hlf trudging the streets of Nottingham, trying to find the Hotel as we booked it under the name Ramada and were not notified of the name change, consequently late booking in meant we could not eat before our concert and had to rush to get changed and out, which spoilt our evening.

"Nottingham Best Western"
73Makem, 15 Mai 2017

Recently stayed for 1 night, excellent location for the city centre, shopping and theatre, great pubs either side of hotel . Friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay with very reasonable room and rates. Room was clean and reasonable, bed a little hard but not uncomfortable, bathroom clean and a good size, bar was friendly and it was an excellent breakfast. Will be staying again when we visit in the future as well as recommending to family and friends

"So Convenient ....."
Triumph006, 13 Mai 2017

This Hotel is very conveniently placed in the Royal quarter of Nottingham, literally a 60 second walk to the Theatre or Concert Hall, with umpteen places to eat, in fact, spoilt for choice. Parking spaces are limited but again for convenience I was happy to pay the £12 fee for secure on site parking. Our room was clean and very comfortable, if a little warm and stuffy but everything you would want for an overnight stop. However, the highlight for us was discovering the very pleasant lounge area, sofa's and settee's, and the very warm and cheery welcome from all the ladies at breakfast. Listen up Mr Best Western!!...these ladies are a credit and asset to this Hotel and I'd certainly do my best to retain them, so thank you ladies for making our breakfast experience such a pleasure, thus ensuring that we'd definitely use this Hotel again the next time we attend a gig at the Concert Hall.

"Good Quality at reasonable price"
Simon J, 12 Mai 2017

Stayed here for work, booking through booking.com at a price considerably less than similar hotels nearby. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Bar area quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet but was able to order fresh poached eggs which arrived quickly.

"Nice Hotel. Good location. "
PaulnKaz, 11 Mai 2017

We booked this hotel when it was owned by a different hotel chain. Reception Staff friendly and polite. Room was clean and tidy. We had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was ok. We would return to this Hotel and recommend it.

"Nice hotel, good location"
ehopki_931569, 07 Mai 2017

This was a very comfortable hotel, in the centre of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good there was a menu. The tram stop was only a couple of minutes walk away, the market square and Victoria shopping centre were a few minutes walk away. The theatre was two minutes walk away so this hotel is ideal for a theatre break in Nottingham.

"Car Park"
petecQ8661LW, 05 Mai 2017

Car park under hotel and always smells of food. They hold a very limited amount of cars. Costs £12 a day to use car park. Saying that I booked room incorrectly and they ended up not charging me the extra. Thank you

"Same everytime "
Parris B, 04 Mai 2017

Slow service everytime. Why can you not employ or rota on more staff? I love the food and I continue to visit because when i receive the service it is fantastic, but just slow. Speed up guys, I love your food.

"Nice hotel"
martin f, 01 Mai 2017

The hotel is ideally situated in the city centre. Parking is limited so pre- book it before you arrive. Reception is small but staff are friendly and attentive. Room was adequate but a little dated and needed up dating in decoration. Breakfast was good with a variety of food and beverages. Will use again if in the Nottingham area.

"One night stay"
kittykat_freddie, 26 Avril 2017

After slight hiccup at check in, staff on the front desk seamed to ignore us when we went out and came back, the room was pleasant and clean, staff at breakfast were very pleasant and accommodating. Only stayed overnight after seeing a show, but probably won't stay again, will look at crowne plaza across the road similar room with breakfast was cheaper and the staff more customer oriented ( we parked in their car park).

"Great find"
susg2017, 25 Avril 2017

A fantastic location for access to the Concert Hall. The staff were so helpful and the accommodation was brilliant for our needs. On check in we had a reservation for 3 rooms and we were all given rooms in the same location and with everything clean we were off to a good start. In the restaurant the choice of food offered for Dinner was limited but adequate. The staff were very pleasant and helpful particularly the Restaurant manager. Breakfast - the food was good but due to the volume of guests sometimes we had to wait for the dishes to be replenished but again the staff were very helpful. Check out was quick and we would certainly stay here again

"Very pleasant hotel "
TrishWarnz, 25 Avril 2017

I arrived in Nottingham for a business trip. The location and price are what had drawn me to the BW plus hotel. On entering I was created warmly by one of the new trainees who helped me to get settled in. I stayed in 316 which had a nice view and was above the restaurant. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. I liked the bath as well as the products and the shower power. Definitely recommended even for the budget traveller. It's a 10min walk from the Station.

"Recent trip"
markjc2017, 21 Avril 2017

Hotel was very noisy so sleep was difficult. Stag parties seem to be the norm. Would be better if they kept them to the lower floors leaving the couples to the higher ones. We look to stop at another hotel next time.

"Reasonable Hotel"
kirstygater1704, 20 Avril 2017

This Hotel did not cost us much compared to what we paid the previous night in Liverpool. It was very clean and modern - Just what we needed for a 1 night Stay Was in the Centre and within walking distance to whatever we fancied doing.

"Frequent guest"
girlynightout2017, 20 Avril 2017

Stayed here many times under the Ramada name. Great location for being right in the centre of town. Only issue this time is that as usual I booked a twin room but was put in a double. Breakfast choice was limited but food was nice.

"Nice hotel in heart of city centre"
Sharon G, 20 Avril 2017

Stayed for one night as on a business trip. Hotel tucked away in a quiet location but near to the city centre. Nice, tidy and comfortable place to stay and would stay again if ever in the area either for business or leisure.

"great location and recently refurbished"
sclark_396673, 13 Avril 2017

The hotel is in a great location very close to the theatre royal and concert hall. The twin room was very spacious, comfortable and clean with a good sized bathroom. The hotel had recently been refurbished. Another plus is that it has its own car park under the hotel, which although is an extra cost, its worth it for the convenience.

"Family trip"
Claire W, 12 Avril 2017

Another amazing Best Western. Reception Staff, brilliant. Cleaners, brilliant. Chef and restaurant staff, brilliant. Clean and tidy rooms. Spacious, beds comfortable View, well your in the middle of the City centre!! Breakfast was delicious and scrambled egg did not come out of a carton. Bacon was perfect and so was the rest. Yummy. Another perfect stay. Will definitely come back.

"Great stay over hotel"
Lee M, 11 Avril 2017

Great city centre hotel, brilliant well kept rooms nice bar and seating area, breakfast very good and extremely enjoyable and well cooked, good service at reception and went out there way to help will be using again when in the area. Car parking on site but limited need to arrange when booking

"..excellent city centre hotel.."
rossmagpie, 11 Avril 2017

..although Best Western had only been running the Hotel for 3 weeks they had already stamped their quality of comfort and service on the establishment..most impressed!..although the decorators were still around they did not disturb us in any way and indeed were excellent with their manners and help..

"Two night stay for ice hockey finals"
Denise C, 10 Avril 2017

Nice room with decent shower. View from window wasn't very nice. Air conditioning units. Price on bill said £109 but was extra as it was a busy weekend. Had to park in public car park 5 minutes away and although there was a discount it still cost us £28 in total from Friday until Sunday. No information telling us this. What happened to their car park? Bar was lacking any atmosphere.
