    « perfect location for a price »

I chose this hotel due to the location and the fair price. it is very close to main vancouver island specially if you drive. .I would recoommend it to young couple and family. pools in a plus. enjoy your stay

« Decent Stay in Great Location »

This hotel is decent for a really fair price. We wanted to be close to Grouse Mountain and the Suspension bridge. The rooms are dated so it's a solid 2.5 star from that perspective but the reason why this place is rated fairly well is because the staff is always working so hard to maintain it and keep it clean. We stayed two nights and had our room cleaned in between, fresh towels and soaps provided. Beds, linens and washroom were well maintained and clean. Check in & checkout was a breeze. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thanks BW!

« Fair price for a decent stay »

This Best Western is certainly nothing fancy, definitely dated and the attempted updates are a bit shoddy, but it suited our family just fine for how often we were even in the room, at a fair price, in a great location! We came for a quick getaway, stayed in a king one bedroom suite, and planned outings to the aquarium and the suspension bridge, both of which we arrived at within minutes, thanks to the fantastic location. We had minimal interaction with staff, but those we did see were very pleasant. My only complaint is that sound-proofing leaves something to be desired. The folks above us decided to host a gathering of sorts the night we arrived. We cranked up the fan and it was able to drown them out so we didn't bother contacting the front desk. We would probably stay here again if visiting Vancouver!

« Exactly what you need! »

We stayed here for a night before our cruise took off. It's a very nice family hotel. The staff is amazing! They helped us find things to do and figure out how to get places. The rooms are nice and clean. It doesn't have anything special but it has everything you need. You can hear the road from the room but it isn't bad. It's not a major highway or anything. It takes about 40-50 minutes to get here from the airport, depending on traffic. It was a $64 taxi. A little more expensive than I would have liked. You are outside the city but only about a $10 cab ride to Stanley park and Canada place. You are about 1.5 miles from the Capilano Suspension Bridge! We walked there from the hotel. Not a bad walk but it was uphill the whole time. It took about 30 minutes. I would stay here again for sure! If you are wanting the city life and to be able to walk everywhere, then I would stay in the city and not on the outskirts.

    « A Nice Place to Stay »

We stayed in a king suite room. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The decor is dated and a bit worn - but still nice. We ate breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby. It was a little pricey, but the food was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff was nice and friendly. For the price and location - a very good buy at a nice place.

    2
« They have no fridge »

Surprisingly our room didn't have a fridge. These days even motels have fridges in their room. A small fridge is like $100, I don't know why they don't provide it. When I called the front desk staff and asked for one, they never called me back. The room was clean. Parking is free.

    4
« Great Value, Staff with incredible attitude !!! »

Clean comfortable hotel just outside Vancouver, free wifi and the staff attitude and service was incredible, specially Michelle at the front desk, close to the Capilano suspension bridge, they get you a discount on this and parking is free also !!!

    5
« Great Value in Vancouver »

Great Value in Vancouver and clean and comfortable stay. Friendly and accommodating staff. Wifi, washing machines available and just several minutes away from Stanley Park and downtown. Practical location easy access to head to Capilano suspension bridge and near Grouse mtn and quick access to Whistler mtn via 1 then 99

« Great for a one night stay »

Myself and 3 friends were heading to Whistler for the weekend on our yearly Girl's Trip; we got 2 double bed rooms which was perfect for four women. The rooms were spotless, and the bathrooms were great. The DeDutch next to the lobby was very good as well. The hotel is right off of Lion's Gate bridge and was really easy to find. We would definitely stay here again!

    4
« Bargin place to stay »

I was in town for one night and just needed a place to sleep. This was perfect, it was not fancy, but clean, easy to get to and cheap with free parking. the neighborhood was close to downtown but quiet with a lot of restaurants.

« Good location if you are pushing further North »

The hotel rooms are clean & tidy. Hotel is fairly priced hotel for the facilities available. Plus, it is just off the highway 1 (approx. 5 minutes) if you are heading north from Vancouver. Staff friendly & helpful

    3
« Ok place to stay »

We often stay at Best Westerns, this one was not a great one. It was clean although I did find ants in the bathroom. Very disappointed to find out that breakfast was not included and the restaurant attached was quite expensive. The second morning we drove about 8 blocks to the nearest Timmies. There was a small fridge so I did buy a few things for snacking. It was located reasonably close to Stanley Park, (short drive) Unfortunately the pool wasn't open yet. Housekeeping staff was great, we didn't have them come in to tidy as we were only there 2 nights, but they made sure that we had clean towels and more coffee for the next day. I most likely wouldn't stay here again. The Cable TV kept blanking out so that we would have to turn TV off and on again(then find the channel again as it would go back to default) Took awhile to check out as my cousin had booked us in and I wanted to be able to pay for the room when we left. Front desk staff made us feel like we were inconveniencing her, even though we were the only people in the office at the time.

    5
« Clean room. Wonderful service. »

The reception desk service goes out of its way to be helpful. Room is very clean with proper cotton duvet! Everything is excellent, also the internet. Breakfast place right on the premises. I'm very particular and I always stay here.

    5
« Best Western great in North Vancouvrr »

Really enjoyed our stay. Friendly helpful staff and so quiet area. Close to everywhere, warm comfortable rooms. Staff had local advise on possible trips and days out even had some coupons for money off local attractions.

    4
    « North Vancouver hotel »

I was a little disappointed that this hotel didn't have free breakfast. Any other Best Western hotel that I stayed at did have free breakfast. I did like the kitchenette including dishes. We were able to make our own breakfast in our room.

    3
    « Clean. comfortable »

A one night stay while picking up a new car. Good location, clean and low priced. This is a motel, with a upgrade name, in a good location. Rooms are small but adequate. Nothing special but serves the purpose for a short stay. There is an outdoor pool. Restaurant associated with the complex. Free parking.

    4
« Affordable, Clean, Friendly Staff. »

We stayed at this Hotel in April 2018. The room was small, yet clean and it served our purpose whilst in Vancouver. It is very handy to the Lions Gate bridge leading into downtown and if you time it outside of rush hour, you are about 15 minutes into English Bay area. This is not a quiet location, being a motel with cars coming and going through the night, but that cannot be helped. We had appointments and were travelling with our Service Dog, who was accommodated exceptionally well. The Staff at this Motel, in particular Jenny, are wonderful. Also they give you passes to Steve Nash Fitness World during your stay which is across the road. There is a DeDutch on site, but closes late afternoon. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Best Western.

    4
    « Get away »

My husband and I really enjoyed visiting Vancouver area. Spent 2 weeks visiting different attractions in the Vancouver area. Really enjoyed Stanley Park, and hiking the Capilano Canyon area to see the swinging bridge.

    4
« Terrific for overnight medical stays »

Great bed and pillows. Easy check in and express checkout. Free parking. Very close to the Lions Gate bridge and downtown Vancouver as well as Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver and Capilano and Park Royal malls.

    4
    « Clean, affordable & convenient hotel »

We stayed at Capilano Inn on our way to the Nanaimo ferry. The hotel has little street appeal and needs to be updated on the outside. However it is entirely redone on the inside. The lobby and rooms are well-appointed and clean. There was little road noise apparent in the room. The inn keeper was helpful about restaurants and timing to the ferry.

  • 5
    « Nice Experience »

The room was clean and the location was very convenient for everything we planned on doing on our trip. Only a ten minute drive to Stanley park in one direction, and a four minute drive to the Capilano suspension bridge in the other.

    3
« A good place for quick one night stay »

An average motel for us to stay in the middle way from Whistler to Seattle. Nice and friendly staff; average motel; okay price. There are quite a lot of options for dining and grocery. Insulation wasn't good though. I didn't explicitly find elevators, so disabled people or people with heavy luggage may think twice.

    4
    « Great stay! »

Very surprised with the hotel! Clean, extremely friendly staff, and very cozy. I was staying for an extended period of time, so the laundry in the hotel was extremely efficient. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Extremely helpful »

The room was comfortable and clean. The front desk was friendly and efficient. Within 10 minutes if going to our room we received a call from the office to see if our room was satisfactory and if we needed anything. The hotel was close to restaurants. Very good experience. We would definitely stay there again.

    3
    « Clean and comfortable. »

Came for a medical appointment. Hotel- motel set up with outdoor pool. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Don't expect hi def and no fridge but would stay again. Well located for access to downtown Vancouver.

    3
    « Acceptable »

This is not Trump Tower, but it is clean, quiet and priced for budget conscience travelers. The rooms have been remodeled and updated within the last few years. Our rooms featured 2 bedrooms, couch that made a bed and a more private bedroom. Lots of hot water and good pressure.

    3
    « Best Western Capilano »

To be fair, a GOOD rating (rather than Average) would be more accurate, but this is not an option above. Good location in North Vancouver - close to Park Royal Shopping Mall, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Bridge. Hotel however looks a bit dated and needs a bit of a facelift all round.

    5
    « Clean, Quality... Comfortable. »

Last minute reservation... Sure glad that we picked this place. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful... Rooms were both clean and decor modern. Beds were comfortable, and had a good sleep... Would recommend this hotel as a Happy Customer

    1
« difficult to believe this is a Best Western! »

bed had broken springs, towels thread-bare, no elevator we on 2nd floor, window has board to place as window does not lock, check in was unfriendly, no breakfast included, food left in fridge must have been long time as it was covered in mold, room smelt bad, ......does not meet the standard we have been use to at Best Western

    5
    « Clean and competent »

At first glance it doesn't look like much but the room was very clean and in good working order. All staff were friendly and competent. I had a travel rewards voucher for $80 and though the total was $82 and change, they didn't charge my credit card the extra few dollars. I find this quite impressive because I have never encountered that. I would definitely recommend this property. We came for the suspension bridge Festival of Lights so location was perfect.

  • 5
« Great stay! Great price! Great staff! »

Loved this place. Exactly what we needed for the trip. There's is even a great view of the mountains. Restaurant and stores within close walking distance. 15 min drive to downtown Vancouver. I would stay here again

    3
    « BW North Vancouver »

The traffic noise most of the night made it impossible to sleep until about 11-12 PM. No good restaurant close by. Not enough parking. Friendly staff but the lobby closes at night. No receipt for my company expense report. Lost power for a few hours but can't blame the hotel.

    4
    « Comfortable Stay »

Cancelled ferry resulted in an unplanned stay in LMD and this BW property was conveniently located and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff, well-lit parking and comfortable rooms/beds ensured a good nights rest before continuing my journey home. On-site restaurant, a DeDutch (not included) was also reasonably priced, quick with a good selection/prices. Would stay here again, and also recommend!

    4
    « Large room - comfortable beds »

Clean, comfortable, quiet and close to downtown Vancouver and the North Shore. The double queen room we stayed in was very spacious and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Great value and customer service.

    5
    « Great Place »

The rooms are clean and reasonable in price. This place is situated at a convenient location and has easy access to public transport and good restaurants. Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain and many hiking trails near by.

    3
    « Capilano hotel »

Good location for our needs, clean basic room at a decent price. BCAA discount honoured. Didn't use the pool. Has a on site restaurant for breakfast. On site ,no charge parking. Our room was close to the front of the hotel ,and we heard road noise,'traffic' while in the room.

    3
« best western airport, Calgary »

This hotel was perfectly adequate but would have been more inviting with an up-dated decor in the lobby. The restaurant could as well have done with a decorating update and the food was only okay. The location was perfect for my needs and I did enjoy the pool and hot tub.

    5
    « Freindly »

Staff and restaurant waiter were all very nice to interact with, when I come back to Vancouver, this is definitely where I will choose to stay again! I only had one small complaint that isn't worth mentioning, but I know Best Western will make it right, they always do!

    5
« Perfect Value for the price »

We loved our stay in this hotel. The hotel and the room were very Clean. We had a late check-in and the agent was very nice. Nice staff. Very good Location in North Vancouver. Quiet area. The WiFi speed was very good.

    5
    « Cheap and Clean »

with today's exorbitant hotel prices just a bit off city center makes sense and this hotel provided clean linens, decent food and friendly staff. The location is not central Vancouver which is very congested with parking problems and heavy traffic but just over the bridge is a neighborly North Vancouver with lots of places to eat and cheaper!

  • 4
« Basic accommodations in good location in North Vancouver »

Accommodations close to many amenties. Very easy access to Lions Gate Bridge, and to Park Royal Mall for shopping. Also a reasonable distance from Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain and Capilano University. No breakfast included, nor is there a fridge in the room. Breakfast at De Dutch (attached to hotel) was very slow, and expensive. Rooms are clean and well appointed.

    3
    « Alright »

« Great Value and Comfort »

We booked this hotel on the tail end of a vacation. We live 2 ferry rides away from Vancouver and always require a Hotel prior to getting back home. Best Western in North Van provided us with a clean, quiet, comfortable accommodation, at a very affordable price. We will book again soon. Cheers.

    5
    « Welcoming and efficient »

I had not stayed at best Western before so was not sure of the quality of the room and service. I had a stay of 5 days for business in Vancouver. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and efficiency of everything. All the room features(iron, hair dryer, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, shower and comfortable bed)worked perfectly. The room was always cleaned each day, supplies refreshed and the staff unfailingly cheerful and friendly. My room , as promised was also really quiet and the wi-fi worked perfectly for my laptop. I will happily return to this hotel if I have work again in Vancouver.

    4
« Great spot in North Vancouver »

The best Western in North Vancouver is in a good spot to see the city of Vancouver and the suspension bridge park. It's close to restaurants, and city transportation too. Well worth the price of the room, even though it does not serve breakfast there are plenty of places to have a meal with one restaurant right in the lobby.

    4
    « Anette »

I loved the location , staff were friendly , room was clean, clean towel ,clean sheets , with enough amenities, closet shopping center and easy to use public transport .And I enjoyed the free internet service.

    5
    « Receiving Excellent Service »

Truly an excellent place to stay.Very clean and presentable. Location is excellent and close to other amenities. Considerate and wonderful staff and service. As a senior with health issues, I would definitely recommend The Best Western Hotel.

    5
« a breath of fresh air in this over price , city »

My stay was, very comfortable , the bed was very comfortable, décor was clean and up to dare, Bathroom was clean and new it was cold , and someone went into my room before I checked in and turned up the heat. The front staff were very knowledgeable and help full with directions, The internet was fast and steady. The room rat e was very reasonable and good value, I will stay there everytime I am in Vancouver.

    4
    « Decent Hotel - great location! »

While this hotel is somewhat dated in appearance, the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We requested an early check in as we needed to attend a memorial. The front end staff were very friendly and accommodating. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It is in a great location - close to good restaurants, Stanley Park and shops and the Trans Canada Highway Good value for the money

    5
    « Nice room/Good value »

We where very happy with our room. It was up dated and clean. Everything we needed for the two nights during our conference. We would definitely stay there again, perhaps next time during warmer weather so that we can use that great looking pool!

  • 4
« Well worth the money »

I would stay here again for sure. This is the third time I have stayed at this location for a family trip for a sports meet. It is not a fancy hotel, but clean and has what you need. The staff is helpful and friendly. Well worth the money. Also close to shopping and some nice restaurants, so that is alway nice.

    4
« How to improve space for handicapped clients »

It would be a good idea if someone from the admin of all the Best Western Hotels took a seminar on how to cater to handicapped travelers. Many people these days have had hip or knee replacements and may use walkers and other equipment. Raised toilet seats are also a great feature. Handicapped people DO TRAVEL and if more care was taken to provide facilities, you would get a lot more bookings!

    2
« Hotel OK, but out of date »

We stay here one night. It was OK, but not to the standards we have come to expect from BW. No fridge, a sort of mini coffee maker, no complementary breakfast. No elevator to get to second floor, had to carry baggage.

    5
    « Pleasant and reasonable »

Very pleasant stay and reasonable, close drive to downtown and nice drive to Whistler. Also accomodating staff and took advantage of guest laundry machines. Parking was a lttle congested. But overall would recommend.

    4
« comfy stay and an affordable price »

Had a great sleep in the comfy beds and enjoyed the nice reno to rooms close to all shopping and restaurants. Nice shower and decor and I liked that the sink was outside the toilet/shower. Enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant in the hotel.

    5
    « lei »

It was a great place to stay for the price, it was reasonable. Most importantly it has laundry service on site. Inroom coffee/tea. Close to downtown and free parking was available which we needed since we rented a car for the few days. Close to activities and food stores.

    4
« Great place, perfect location »

We did not want to stay in Vancouver proper, but a little quieter area. We found the hotel with not problem, about a 2 minute drive from the Lions Gate Bridge. The front desk clerk, was extremely helpful, giving us hints without even asking. We opted for a kitchenette, due to food allergies, and was pleased to find everything we needed. Lots of cooking utensils, plates etc. There is a 2 burner hotplate, but no oven. No problem, as the microwave was suitable for our needs. Room was spotless. There was a tv in both the living area and the bedroom. Bed was comfortable. We were on the top floor ( there are only 2 floors ), facing away from the street, so it was really really quiet, perfect for sleeping. There is no elevator, but who cares, it was only a few steps. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. One day we locked ourselves out and the mail overheard us say "oh crap we just locked the keys in our room,", she immediately came running and open the door for us. Perfect location, there is a Mall with a Wal-mart about a 5 minute drive, lots of restaurants, and a couple of grocery stores nearby. Only a 15 minute drive to Horseshoe Bay Ferry terminal. Great place, will definately reccommend it .

    1
« Bullied at Check-In in a North Vancouver Best Western »

I would never stay at this Hotel again. I was bullied by a staff member and it was an extremely unpleasant experience. This is not what one would expect when checking in for a relaxing vacation. Unbelievable!

    5
« A nice, quiet facility close to all amenities »

Always stay at Best Western if there is one in the area we are staying or just passing through. Quality, service and cleanliness are always on the top of the list for us and haven't been disappointed yet

    4
« Nice and comfortable motel »

We've stayed at this motel several times during the past decade, and have found it to be a comfortable and clean motel. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Also, the motel's location in the North Vancouver district and proximity to Vancouver makes it an excellent place from which to see the local sights.

  • 5
    « Great stay »

Very clean and quiet suite. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, Nice to have TV's in living room and bedroom. Kitchenette very clean. Room serviced efficiently and was not lacking anything. Enjoyed my stay and will return again.

    4
« Quaint, cozy and clean.... »

This is a basic older motel on Capilano Road, a very central area with easy access to West Vancouver's Park Royal Shopping Centre, Upper Levels Highway and North Vancouver's Lonsdale Quay. It is modest but has all your basic needs including a little on site restaurant that is open from 7am to 3pm. I personally like being able to park outside my room with only steps to the door. There is an outside swimming pool too. They do a good job of keeping the outside area neatly groomed down to the painted grey sidewalks. The best part is the very reasonable price... it's not the Ritz, but it is quaint. Good value. I have stayed before and will stay again.

    3
« Close to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park »

Spent a week here at the end of our 2 week Alaska + cruise holiday. Set in a lovely, peaceful area & just a short ride from a nearby bus-stop to the Suspension Bridge Park (that's a must to visit). Walking distance to restaurants (fantastic greek/mediterranean one just 10 min walk away). Laundry facilities available. Free wifi in rooms.

    3
« Average Hotel for Price »

This is a fairly priced hotel, where you get what you pay for. Very basic but clean. Location is nice with many restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance. Close to several walking trails and parks. Enjoyed the Capilano River Park in the evening before bed.

    3
    « OK location »

While this hotel is centrally located in North Vancouver it is definitely an older building. Driveway entry almost impossible from the north because you must cross 2 lanes of fast moving traffic with no neutral stopping space. Staff very helpful in restaurant suggestions in the area. Disappointed that this property has no discounted breakfast arrangements with restaurant located just off the lobby.

    3
« I wanted to like this hotel »

I felt this hotel could use a little work freshening up the decor and cleaning better. I thought the location would be good for our purposes of being in the Vancouver area, and I was right about that, so no complaints there. The parking lot is not the largest, but we never had any trouble finding a spot for the car. The staff was also very nice. I didn't think the cleanliness was up to par... we had some funky smell coming from under the sink, and the shower grout needed a good scrubbing.

    5
    « Nice hotel! »

The staff are pretty awesome. They are friendly and helpful. The location is good. It's only a short bus ride to downtown Vancouver. This hotel is less expensive compared to staying right in the downtown part of Vancouver. I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay here again!

    5
    « Very nice hotel. »

We chose this hotel because we wanted to be close to Horseshoe Bay which was only a fifteen minute drive away. The staff were very friendly and happy to give any advice needed. We were pleased to find that it has a small swimming pool. The rooms are basic but very clean. We did feel that it would have been nice to have a fridge in our room but it's just a minor issue. Close to Stanley Park and there is a bus stop nearby which we made use of as Vancouver is a very busy city to drive around. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    4
« Well priced hotel for Vancouver »

Good stay at this basic hotel. Very clean, although the rooms are a little small. Nice front staff - make sure you ask for their area coupons. Within walking distance of many restaurants. Nice and close to Stanley Park. Would stay again.

    4
    « Visiting Vancouver, BC »

This is a clean hotel, good outdoor pool, close to Stanley Park, easy access to downtown Vancouver. Great shopping nearby. Book early, competitive pricing. Good place to rest before going to Vancouver Island via Horseshoe Bay Ferry to Nanaimo, BC.

  • 4
    « nice simple hotel »

2 queen bed room is good for a small family. location of hotel is good, markets and dining places are in short driving distance. The parking lot is kind of small, need to be careful when getting in/out of car when parking on both sides of your car are occupied.

    4
« Clean Typical Best Western Hotel »

First the employees we met are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The place is a little older with outside entrances, but enough parking for everyone. We did not eat at the on-site restaurant, but walking distance to a number of restaurants. Rooms were big and nice comfortable beds.

    4
« Nice hotel lousy radio »

Nice hotel close to the ferry which what we wanted, clean room decent price. Only issue was the lousy clock radio that had two volume settings off and max volume. The only replacement the hotel had didn't even work.

    2
« Noisy neighbourhood, overpriced, substandard room »

Found a plastic straw in the bed, not ours. Room small and ugly, bed uncomfortable, weird tv channels, swimming pool in middle of parking lot, just generally not great for the price. We stayed here to be close to Stanley Park but it was a 20 min drive so I think we could do better next time.

    3
    « disappointing »

Only motel we stayed in that did not have free complentary breakfast. Had its own restaurant. No refrigerator, no microwave. Here again, the only motel of the trip that didnt. Overall we stay at Best Western when we can, but not this one again. No elevator.

    « Not a value stay »

First let me say that the desk staff at this hotel are very friendly and professional. I applaud them! But upon checking in we were very disappointed that there was no breakfast included. We use Best Westetn hotels often in the states and breakfast is always included. There was an attached breakfast cafe that was delicious but very pricey. The hotel itself is average but the mattresses need replacing. For the cost, this hotel holds little value.

« Good but could use updating »

This hotel had a friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms. The outdoor pool looked clean and inviting on a hot day. They had plenty of parking and are close to a bus stop for transportation to the various points of interest. The decor is a bit old and the structure is in need of some remodeling but otherwise a nice place to stay.

    « Great Value »

Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice room great value. The location wasn't too bad. Lots of traffic to the port. Any roads leading to the cruise ships will be busy. Fairly close to where we needed to be.

    « 2 bedroom suite awesome »

We stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. Chose a 2 bedroom suite as they didn't have 2 standards available. It was awesome and just a little less expensive than 2 standard rooms. The room was clean and spacious. It Had 2 bathrooms plus a vanity with a mirror and sink in each bedroom. This would be perfect for a family or a Girls Trip. Not far from downtown Vancouver -just across the bridge. Breakfast not included however which was a downside. The restaurant there was really not good- service great but food just mediocre. The outdoor pool was great. Family told us that the water was really warm and great for the kids. Staff were amazing.

« Older units in a cramped site »

Location is great, and the price is reasonable. Transit stop within a block and easy access to shopping, restaurants and walking trails nearby. Small restaurant on site open until 3pm (or so). Helpful and pleasant staff at the front desk. The site is very cramped and taken up mostly by parking areas. Parking was full and very tight to get in and out of with a larger vehicle. There is a small outdoor pool in the midst of all the parking. Little shade or landscaping around the pool. Rooms are quiet, but dated and dark. Wifi did not work. No fridge in the room I had. Nice layout with the bath sink separate from the rest of the facilities. All in all an OK place to spend the night, but no view or public areas that I found made it worth spending much time there.

    « Great Staff - Great Location »

I would recommend this motel to anyone looking to stay on the North Shore. The staff is wonderful, the location is perfect for downtown and the North Shore shopping. You can walk to numerous restaurants as well.

    4
« Friendly staff and reasonable price »

I very much enjoyed the location and proximity to everything of best western ! It's very easy to find ! And very comfortable for their pricing ! Central location and affordable rates make it one of the best stays in vancouver !

    4
« Convenient Place To Stay »

Great little motel. Rooms are dated but clean and well appointed. Do not go to DeDutch for breakfast - complete rip off. Denys across the street is much better - choice and value. Limited number of restaurants nearby but so so convenient for Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain and Stanley Park by public transport. Best thing about it - the neat outdoor pool - clean, sunny and just what you need at the end of a busy day being a tourist!

    3
    « Average Hotel »

The typical standard hotel, good for spending a night when you are very tired. Very close to the Capilano Bridge and Stanley Park. Staff very good, we had problems accessing the Internet with our Cell, although we didn't have problems with our Laptop. No breakfast included.

    5
    « Impressed »

Out stay here was an enjoyable one. The room was pristine and front desk went above and beyond to ensure our nights there were to our satisfaction. We had actually booked in to another hotel but the conditions were deplorable. Best Western stepped up on moments notice and made our transition stress free.

    « Super helpfull staff »

Super friendly and professional staff helped me with recommendations for places to see in the area, helped me with questions, even gave me a discount coupon to a local attraction. All this with a smile. Thanks guys!

« Great location, clean, excellent staff »

Standard rooms, no excess space, staff is top level, good location to Capilano swinging bridge and short bus trip into Vancouver downtown. Reasonable price for location. Great beds, no refrigerator or microwave. Air conditioning unit a bit loud. Dutch themed restaurant on site very good, no free breakfast. Others restaurants nearby - try Earl's for dinner.

    4
    « Clean and comfortable »

We were looking for a basic, clean room to serve as our home base while touring the area. This hotel met our needs -- friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location to area attractions; restaurants within walking distance. Clean and comfortable bed.

    « Another great stay! »

The staff here are always great! We've stayed before for school trips and they remembered us. We got a great rate and we were moved up to queen rooms from doubles when it was avail. Nice and clean and very centrally located! We will be back!

« Great Stay North Vancouver BC »

I stay at the Best Western North Vancouver when I travel to North Vancouver BC. It is clean quiet the staff is fantastic always going out of their way to make your stay great. The outdoor pool is very clean. Lots of free parking. Easy express check out. Close to Lions Gate Bridge downtown in 10 minutes. West Van Park Royal great village to visit for Great Dining and shopping. Lots of trail in walking distance. You are close to downtown but feel like you are still in Nature with all the green trails and parks close by. Great experience every time I travel . Kelly

    « good location »

Good location, just nearby lion gate bridge. Quite convenient with reasonable price. Good service in the front dest. Clean room, but no refrigerator. With free parking. Internet is fast and stable. With free breakfast can be better. With washing machine and ice machine, it is good. With swimming pool, it is amazing.

    4
    « Large suite »

Our room 210 had a fridge, a sink, a microwave and an electric 2 burner hot plate. Was cllean and had Pntene products. Good AC but it is aways to the bedroom, so had to overcool living room a little. Only issue was the smell of mild smoke in a non smoking room.

    3
« Not The Best Bang for Your Buck »

I've recently stayed in better for a lot less price, including breakfast, which this did not. Night desk service lacking. Old cigarette smoke odour reflecting need for renovations along with refrigerator appliance replacement. Morning desk service, the opposite of night: Very friendly, concerned, informative and helpful.

    « Clean Affordable Accommodations »

We stayed here with 17 friends and family members before departing on an Alaska cruise. It is very convenient to the Capilano Gorge Bridge and Park and Grousse Mountain. Rooms were on the small side, but clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable, towels were soft and more than adequately sized.A highlight here is the extremely friendly staff, especially manager Jenny. She was extremely helpful with recommendations, useful details, advice on local transportation and made this my best ever Best Western Experience. The hotel has a restaurant attached, and other restaurants within easy walking distance. The only downside is no elevator so you need to lug baggage up a flight of stairs to second floor rooms.I would stay here again and save $60 or more a night vs. anything downtown.

    5
    « Amazing »

Quality and value for the price is right on the money. Staff and management are truly awesome! Always stay at the Best Western Capilano in Vancouver. Without hesitation I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Highly Recommend »

This was a great place for myself and my two sons who are BMX riders. The room was clean, quiet, spacious and dark (for those who require a deep sleep) The Front Desk clerk was very accommodating to us. And the room didn't break the bank!

    3
    « Friendly Staff »

Fine place to stay with friendly, helpful staff. It is an older hotel in need of some upgrades but otherwise very clean and comfortable. Very close to lots of amenities. The outdoor pool was always being used and looked very inviting.

    « Great for a short stay »

The rooms were very comfortable, the hotel was well positioned in North Vancouver and had extremely helpful staff. It was also well positioned for local restaurants. All rooms had wifi and there was plenty of parking outside the rooms.

    « value for money »

Everything one would need for a holiday. Simple but practical. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and efficient staff. Would recommend. Great experience with family. Good location with lovely swimming pool.

    3
    « N.Van motel »

Chose the motel because of proximity to Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Bridge. Check-in Staff member was friendly and was able to answer our questions about local transit and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We were a little disappointed there was no mini-fridge in the room. The only disappointment was with the on-site restaurant. Our orders were not correctly delivered (items missing) and the prices were high for the type and quality of food, in comparison with other restaurants we went to in the city.

    4
« Clean and Reasonable Rooms »

We were part of a 5 family group who stayed here prior top a cruise. Rooms were quiet, adequate, clean and comfortable. Nice to have decent sized and soft towels. Location is very good for Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain and public transportation. Unfortunately the hotel does not have an elevator for the second floor. Desk staff, particularly Jenny earned the hotel an extra star. She was exceptionally helpful and seemed more like a concierge than manager. The hotel is adjacent to a restaurant and near several others (Denny's and an fantastic Earl's).

    5
    « Wow! »

What a great place to stay, centrally located on transit. The city is open to you! Very clean with lots of parking. Park here and transit anywhere. Great breakfast, then go have fun! Easy to get to from Canada #1 off Capilano road at the bace of the mountain.

« Needs Updating, But Great Pool »

First thing I noticed was the funky smell when I entered the Capilano Inn & Suites lobby. I couldnt concentrate on the girl at the front desk...who was very nice and accomodating btw. The room also smelled funky, like men's aftershave. But it was very clean and had two tvs. No wineglasses in the kitchen cupboard but everything else was there. I couldnt find the ice machine even when I followed the map...but...the pool...oh yeah! Water was just right and it was awesome. In all, not bad value. Might stay there again on a ground floor.

    5
    « Great Vancouver location »

Excellent location in North Vancouver. Plenty of restaurants nearby and without the hassle of staying downtown. Our room was really clean and modern. Helpful staff. Quiet. The pool was a nice way to cool off in the heat. I would definitely recommend this Best Western. There's a complimentary Capilano Suspension Bridge shuttle that picks you up near the hotel and takes you to the bridge. After you're done at the bridge, the bus will take you to downtown Vancouver. Just catch another shuttle back to the Best Western Capilano, and you've avoided having to drive in Vancouver traffic.

    1
« Trick Doors and poor Air Conditioning. »

Just two of the problems I had. Excuses are no replacement for working room doors, There should be no trick to opening them. Staff was not helpful at all and just stood there staring at me when I asked for a fridge in my room, which comes standard in every other motel I have stayed at in the past 10 years. Then they wanted to charge me $19.00 more for the fridge in a room. Disgusting bathroom and hidden light switches did not make it any easier and then there was no listings for channels on the TV so you had to go channel to channel to see what was on and then guess and hope you enjoy the show.

« This hotel is very suited for short business or sports team accomodations. Provides quick and easy accsess to Vancouver. »

Nice, clean accomodations, Suitable for short business trip stays. Bus is very near to the hotel, allowing convenient accress to the areas around Vancouver. There is a restraunt connectioning to the hotel for breakfast or lunch meals. Other local restraunts are near by. If you like walking you can walk to the beach.

    3
    « It's a basic hotel »

The staff is nice enough and the location is good. The facilities are pretty basic. The rollout bed isn't the most comfortable but i've slept on worse. There is no breakfast included and the on site restaurant staff arent the nicest.

« Motel style Best Western on the North Shore, perfect if you are avoiding the traffic and going to the Ferry nearby »

Booked the place on Expedia, price was pretty good, rooms were clean and ready for us. We got a crib for our son and it was ready and waiting as well. The location is okay, but did my research before so knew what I was getting into. Parking is plentiful (but the place wasn't packed), staff were really friendly. Breakfast on site was not bad at all and there is an Earl's walking distance that I really liked for dinner. On a cold snowy day I can imagine that it might be awkward but it's Vancouver so likely never an issue. Just my Toronto bias, that it felt weird. AC Units are not HVAC so attached underneath the windows. Had loud and louder settings but didn't bother me. There are rooms at ground level, with outside entrances, or 2nd floor with stairs. So if you don't want to carry luggage up to your rooms ask for a main floor room.

    4
    « Quiet, clean hotel »

Quiet clean hotel to stay in while preparing for our cruise. 20 minute cab ride from airport ($50 + tip), 15 minute cab ride to Port of Vancouver. Hotel room was clean, and large enough for 3 people. Bathroom was newly renovated with rain shower fixture for shower and good water pressure. No breakfast, but there is a small restaurant on site.

    4
    « Best Western Capilano »

Good value for the money. Front desk staff was very helpful and provided a lot of information during the check in processes. Located near all major attractions. Rooms and exterior appearance were dated but I would stay here again.

    4
« Good value and loation »

My wife and I stayed here for one night in room 119, which is oddly shaped, but has a king size bed. This time of the year, before the summer, the room rate is very reasonable, around Can$ 100. The hotel is located close to many amenities, such as a good choice of restaurants and the Park Royal shopping centre. Depending on Lions' Gate bridge traffic, a trip to Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver is a mere 10 minutes. The hotel is basic, clean, and the reception is helpful. It has a small breakfast restaurant on site, but there are many other eateries in close proximity. All in all, a good basic hotel with ample free parking. We have stayed here several times now on our trips into Vancouver and have not been disappointed and will be back.

    4
    « Great service »

Situated close to downtown Vancouver this hotel is located on a busy road intersection, its ideal for visiting various attractions and handy for bus routes. Being on the road intersection can make some of the rooms a little noisy. We had great service from the staff, especially Michelle who checked us in and sorted a good quiet room. The room was very clean as you would expect but the bathroom area was a bit outdated and could do with a revamp. We ate breakfast here also and whilst is was not exactly gourmet food, it served the purpose adequately. There was a descent sized pool area across the car park. All in all, good value for money.

    3
    « Nice Place »

It was just what we needed. It was close to Park Royal and Capilano which were the two locations we came to the city to explore. It was a quiet, clean room and the wifi was great. The lighting in the room was terrible and the blow dryer was one of those little ones attached to the wall but those were my only complaints!

    4
« Good value for large quiet clean room »

Good value within 20 min downtown Vancouver. Parking free. Friendly staff. Very clean. Quiet. Older motel well maintained. large outdoor pool. Laundry facilities. Large rooms. Updated shower. I will use this hotel again.

    4
    « Excellent customer service »

Manager Jenny Hot did an awesome job taking care of our reservation screw up by Expedia. She was very patient, courteous and professional! The night shift clerk was very helpful in getting us a room when our reservation had been cancelled without our knowledge.

    4
    « Great value hotel »

Hotel room was neat and clean. Staff were extremely helpful. The major issue was the AC was "trying" to cool the room, but not enough. The hotel is off of Marine drive which made it extremely convenient. Parking was included.

    « Good »

Arrived late afternoon Tuesday May 16th for a medical appointment, front desk clerk was very helpful, arranged for a cab for us the following morning, made sure we had a room on ground level and answered all of our questions with a smile on her face.

    « Grouse Mountain Wedding »

We stayed for 4 days during our Daughters wedding, at the End of July, as the event was on Grouse Mountain. The Restaurant for breakfast was very good and busy. There were other Restaurants in walking distance and Shopping area not very far away also.

    « Best location »

I travel for business to Vancouver and Capilano Best Western is centrally located so that you have access to the downtown core as well as the business center of the east of Vancouver. Having the Lions Gate bridge near the hotel makes it a simple taxi travel to any fine dinning Vancouver has to offer. If I need to go the other direction I just get on the highway and aim for the Ironworkers Memorial bridge and I find myself in the metropolis of Burnaby where are the gigantic shopping malls... Overall I am very satisfied with the staff and location. It is definitely all about location, location, location...

    4
    « Great value »

This was a clean, inexpensive and comfortable room. No frills, but I don't need frills when I'm only staying one night. Great value. It is very close to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and close enough to down town Vancouver. A variety of restaurants nearby also makes things easy.

    4
« Good place in North Vancouver, near the city »

Near services in North Vancouver. Bus stop to go to the city. Near the bridge. Restaurants around. Good when you're visiting because room a bit small. There's no refrigerator so think of it if you want to have lunchs for your visiting. A lot of natural parks around.

    2
    « Loud room »

Great location, could hear guests through the walls early in the morning and could hear the guests above the room. Staff were helpful on check in, Internet worked. The TV had stations with snowing reception - which is something I should have complained about

    4
« Great staff sets it apart. »

As far as accommodations, this is a very average budget hotel. It is pretty dated, but they are trying to keep it fresh. What is interesting in our room, parts of the room were renovated, but parts were very old. The important things like furnishings and decor were new a clean. The bathroom was the most outdated, but clean. We got a suite which had an extra room and a kitchenette. The location was great because it was across from the downtown, but downtown was still very accessible over the Lion's Gate Bridge or via the SeaBus. It was also a very short drive to Capilano, or Hwy 1. We used the laundry and it was easy and cheap. What sets this location apart is the staff. I made a few pre-visit calls with questions and they were always very helpful and nice and always went the extra mile. They were very kind and tried to anticipate your needs. The price was also very desireable as I was able to stay here without breaking the bank. If you're looking for somewhere clean and convenient, and are mostly going to be out on the town anyways, this is a great place.

    4
« comfortable and reasonable price »

the front desk were great helped recommending places to to to eat they were spot on. we ended up staying longer as it was close by to the things we were interested in and it was as busy to drive around like vancouvre. The beds were comfortable and the pillows so we ended up staying longer close by to places. Would recommend this hotel

« Great location and rooms. »

Incredible value for the money. Adjoining De Dutch restaurant excellent. As a travel agent I stay in a lot of hotels but was more than pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, comfort and staff at such a value priced property. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.

    4
    « Older but comfortale »

Overall a good nights stay. The motel is quite old but well maintained. Very comfortable bed and the internet was very good. The only complaint was the bathroom was extremely small. Friendly helpful staff.

  • 4
« Good location and reasonable rate »

Reasonable value for a hotel close to Vancouver, Comfortable bed in a relatively small room. Free WiFi and parking. The rooms don't have a fridge! We had food that needed to be put in a fridge. In 60 years, this is the first hotel, that I have stayed in, that didn't have a fridge in the room. Stairs to upstairs rooms are a bit challenging with heavy bags.

    « Very Good place »

Chose this one for our overnight stay. We've been visiting for the 3rd time now and learned to stay close to where we wanted to sight see. Before we stayed in burnaby and richmond and they are farther than what we wanted to really drive. This hotel is about less than 15mins away from waterfront and Capilano suspension bridge. It has good restaurants around the area. Parking is a little hard. Very tight spaces. Our room is decent. Bed is clean and comfortable. Bathroom is a little dated but clean. I just wish breakfast is included. Will definitely stay here again.

« Excellent place to stay »

    1. Excellent value. 2. Cleaning staff super friendly. 3. Front desk staff super friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and accurate. 4. Close to everything in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and Stanley Park/Downtown. 5. Less than 1 hour and 20 minutes to Whistler, so why spend a fortune to stay at Whistler when you can stay in North Van for a fraction of the cost and drive back and forth when you want to ski? 6. Restaurant, which is not owned by Best Western, has very good food but is pricey. 7. Seconds away from awesome Capilano Suspension Bridge, and a couple of minutes away from Grouse Mountain Resort, and about 10 minutes from Cypress. 8. From the outside the place is very clean but not fancy, but don't let this fool you. Rooms were very nice - this is a great place to stay.

    2
    « Could be better »

I can say that the room was fairly nice. We had a king suite room so it was nice that the bedroom was separate and there was a sink in the room as well. The bed itself was very comfortable. There was a "kitchen" in the room that was VERY old, with burners built into the counter and a weird built in fridge and the fridge made so much noise. The water pressure was barely there and with the rain shower head you couldn't actually rinse your hair out, we had to re-rinse in the sink. The room was very noisy from the stairwell and the adjoining room. The blankets provided for the sofa bed were a joke. They were so old and worn and scratchy I would have been embarrassed to put them out. When we asked for an extra duvet like what was on the bed, we were told they had no extra duvets. Seriously? So if there was an issue with the duvet on the bed, they aren't able to fix it? That's poor service. There is an attached De Dutch to the lobby, but you don't get any discount for staying at the hotel. Overall a dissatisfying stay.

    4
« Better than Comfort inn »

The room was clean, bed was great, I preferred the layout and decor of the Best Western over the comfort in. Shower head and pressure wasn't what I would call good. Great location, I'd stay again for sure.

    « Excellent value! »

We drove from Vanvouver airport late at night and chose this BW because it was on our way to Horseshoe Bay to catch the ferry to the Sunshine Coast the following morning. Wise choice. All personnel were hospitable and made us feel welcome. It's small, no elevator and our door opens to the outdoors, not a hallway like other BW we stayed at. Not a problem though.

    4
« Clean, comfortable and worth it! »

The rooms are not super modern, but they are clean and enough space to move about. We couldn't beat the price, $70 roughly. Restaurant on premises, but extra cost. Close to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. I have to note...this is THE 1st time I have seen a recycle bin in a hotel room...impressed! Honestly, that move would bring me back to stay here again.

    3
« Likely to be my hotel again in my next visit »

We were given a room on the upper level due to full house and were promised to be relocated downstairs on the 3rd day. However, this arrangement had never been materialized and was possibly a stalling tactic. The room equipped with no refrigerator and thus making us a bit awkward after returning with dairy products. Location is the key attracting point as it is only ten mins to drive down to downtown. It has an in-house cafe which we have not tried and Denny's restaurant is just across the road. In general, I consider this hotel satisfactory in most aspects.

    4
« Enjoys comfort and Cleanliness »

I would stay at any Best Western that up holds the standards upheld by this organization of hotel service. I have stayed in many high end hotels and Inn and B&Bs and Lodges. I do appreciate a very comfortable/clean bed and floors; not to keen on rugs. I especially appreciate being checked in with courtesy and kindness; not someone trying to please everyone at the same time. One customer at a time, especially not cutting me off for a long time because the phone rang - put them on hold or have one person manning the phones. Courtesy check-ins go a long way when recommending a place to stay.

    3
« Tight parking clean rooms. »

Parking was free but was very tight for larger vehicles or trucks. Room was clean. Nice and close to Park Royal mall, and access to lions gate bridge. Outdoor Pool was still open in October but we didn't use it.

    3
    « Inn needs updating. »

Was disappointed. For being a Best Western I expected a little more updated room. Furniture and room décor was old. The bed was very hard and I had to keep turning over through out the night so I wouldn't go numb on one side only. It has a full kitchen if you want to cook. They have different recycle bin for you to use. The good: Its close to Capilano Bridge and the bed and bathroom were clean. The Dutch café attached to the office was expensive for breakfast and just ok. The sour dough bread was not fresh tasting. the price of room was budget. You get what you pay for I guess. But we wanted something close to the bridge. Which was only a few minutes away.

    4
    « Budget Friendly »

I spent 1 night here with my family. Its convenient to get to and parking is a breeze. There is some confusion with where the entrance is to the reception. It appears to be the entrance to the DeDutch Restaurant. We drove around the hotel parking lot once before I went inside and confirmed that it was also reception. Check in was a breeze. The rooms were nice and upgraded minus the bathrooms which need a lot of upgrading. Grout was missing from the bathroom walls. The beds were cozy and soft. The rooms were clean. The outside doors however, let in a lot of the outside traffic. Bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper. There was no fridge and no microwave.

    5
    « Great Service »

Excellent Hotel, Inexpensive compared to other hotels, especially coming from Seattle, and very good quality. Front desk was very helpful, she even gave us some coupons for some attractions in Vancouver, gave us a list of restaurants nearby. Great service, better than most Best Westerns ive stayed at. Best part was that it was closed to attractions and a walking distance to restaurants.

    4
    « Clean and tidy »

A cheap and cheerful motel with excellent friendly staff. A little tired but room was clean and tidy, was a great base for a couple of days. comfortable bed with clean ensuite. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel if your want a quick bite in the morning. there is also a small outside pool.

    3
« basic, clean, older facility »

We were satisfied with our stay as the price reflected the older condition of this BW. The rooms are small and no king beds available. The hallways and room were clean and comfortable with good heating system, fairly quiet.

    « More than I expected »

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was pretty nice. This hotel is located in north Vancouver. It was close to many Attractions. We paid $300.00 dollars for 3 nights. We had a small living room. A kitchen with fairly large refrigerator sink and dishes and microwave. The bedroom was clean with a king comfortable bed. There was a tv in the living room and bedroom. WiFi worked great. In my.opinion I think think this hotel was super.

« Well Located Budget Hotel »

I rented the double queen room as it was a good deal compared to the Pinnacle Hotel I normally stay at. For under $100 a night in North Van close to Capilano Suspension Bridge, Stanley Park and Park Royal mall I have no complaints (other than no fridge). Room was clean, beds comfortable, and outdoor pool was a hit with kids. If the price is right I would stay again.

« Smelled bad but everything else was ok »

Everything was acceptable however the hotel front desk area and the room itself had a strong smell of staleness, bad perfume or something.Everything in the room worked properly, the bed was comfy and the air conditioner was not too loud.

« Excellent "Bang for the Buck"!! »

I rented this hotel last minute and ended up with the King Suite as it was the only room left. I would ask for this suite next time. It was excellent. Huge bedroom in the back of the suite that is on a quiet residential street (may even be an alley). It was so quiet, I didn't need the earplugs I pack with me for hotel stays. The King bed is very comfortable. The kitchenette was well appointed and the sofa bed not too bad for comfort. The room was clean, the staff friendly and this hotel is very convenient to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.

    « Stop over »

The staff here are very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I do wish Best Western would renovate some bathrooms to accommodate people with a disability. It's very hard to climb in and out of tubs. It was helpful that we did get a ground floor room. Maybe 1 room out of three or something could be just a shower as an option.

    « Best western motel »

This location is more comparable to a motel in its layout. Has the quality of any other Best Western. Great location for everything you might need in the area. Heated pool, coin laundry, parking at your door. Advise to get an top floor unit. We could hear the people above us shifting around while trying to sleep.

    « Good Accomodation, but .... »

...there are no safety bars in the shower. Very dangerous for seniors to get in and out and to maintain balance while showering. ... however, it is a very clean room and the great restaurant overcomes the longish outdoors walk from the room to the office.

    « Pleasant and Comfortable »

Enjoyed our stay at Best Western Capilano. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. I appreciated the pre-printed list of restaurants in the area so we could find a place to eat - good thinking!

« Great location and friendly staff »

This location was awesome for visiting the city of Vancouver, Stanley Park, and the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. The staff was efficient and friendly. At check out, I was provided with excellent border crossing information and routes to take to avoid traffic and a long wait on a weekday morning. De Dutch restaurant onsite had great breakfasts at reasonable prices. Internet worked well, room was clean and very comfortable.

Nice clean hotel. Good rooms. Friendly helpfull staff. Free parking and free WiFi. Next THE hotel there is THE dutch restaurant for breakfast. Close to capilano bridge and THE horsehoe bay Ferry (20 minutes drive).

« Great location in Vancouver »

We stayed 5 nights here, great location, with parking , swimming pool and very comfy beds in good sized rooms. Easy access in and around the sites of this beautiful city either with a car or using public transport (day ticket 9.75cad adult)

    4
    « Great location »

Not only a great location, but reasonably priced. Right near the bridge to Vancouver and easy access to all of N. Vancouver. Able to get to all the sight in N. and S. Vancouver. It's located right off a major road.

    « Excellent Choice »

Looked at many hotels in the Vancouver area. I did not want to be directly downtown but wanted somewhere convenient to all areas. I picked this hotel for it's location and reputation. We had a one bedroom suite that was not too large or small but just right. It had a nice size fridge with an actually small freezer. A microwave and two burners if you wanted to cook. The bedroom also had a second vanity so wife could get ready there and not in a foggy bathroom. Parking was convenient and free. Great location for going north or south on the 99 or east on the 1. Highly recommend.

    « Comfortable and affordable. »

Stayed here over two nights to visit my son and family. Very clean, comfortable beds, and fairly quiet considering location on main street. Many nearby restaurants for breakfast lunch or dinner. Close to many great attractions for day trips.

    3
« Great Staff/ Hotel in ok condition - not worth the value »

Great friendly staff. Helped us a lot! However, prices charged for this hotel does not reflect the overall condition of the room, hotel or internet that was provided. I would only consider staying at this hotel if it was lower in prices and since it is in close proximity to amenities.

    5
    « Awesome stay »

We didn't plan to spend the evening at a hotel. August 27th, pretty much all of Vancouver was sold out. We stayed at a not so economical, 1 star the night before :/ I spent over an hour trying to find a hotel before our 11 am check out. We were so relieved when we found a room here. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into our king bed room. It was fresh, clean and quaint. We loved it. We were afforded early check in and the clerk was gracious to inquire of us our eligibility of special rates and we were!! Definitely will stay there again. Highly recommended.

    3
« Okay for the price »

We decided on this hotel for our visit to Vancouver mainly because it was so close to three attractions we planned to visit: Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain are just up the road and Lynn Canyon Park is a short drive away. We stayed two nights. This was an older hotel, but it was clean and simple and appropriately priced. Staff was very friendly and professional. The bed was a bit hard, but manageable. Had usual bathroom amenities, cable TV, free wifi, and pool. There was a restaurant in the lobby, but it was not free. We opted for Dennys which was a short walk away.

    « 3 Nights »

Stayed for 3 nights the hotel is very good quite close to downtown Vancouver actually, I was exceptionally happy with Grace who cleaned our room for 3 nights, she did a stunning job and organized everything in the room in ways I couldn't have thought of myself. I was quite happy with the hotel it looked great etc but when I walked in I was missing a microwave and fridge in my room, I asked for a two queen bed room! I went to reception and was told I would have to upgrade at $10/night for the microwave and fridge BUT they would only be able to get me two deluxe beds so not only was I supposed to pay 30 dollars on top of the 600 I already paid them but rather have them switch me to a room with smaller beds as well.. They did offer me an alternative which was to warm my food up at the reception where they had a spare microwave. The wifi in this location was also drop dead horrible, had it not been for my data I would practically say that I did not have any internet at the hotel. Overall I liked the hotel it was clean, the receptionists were friendly for the most part and Grace did an amazing job at cleaning our room but perhaps if BW could get rid of those minor annoyances I'd be glad to stay there once again!

« Was Nice, Not Great, But OK »

We have stayed at many Best Western hotels as we are platinum members and for a hotel it was just ok, I suppose we expected for the outrageous price we paid staying two nights we would of got more. They only had two double beds available so my husband and I had to sleep separately and there was no microwave or fridge in our room. It was nice they had a pool and close to a gas station and resteraunts ( Earls was real good) We checked in early which was nice as well.

« Great service!lovely clean room. Good value. »

Stayed here whilst visiting Vancouver. When searching for hotels, this was one of the cheaper options, so I wasn't expecting anything major. However when we arrived we were extremely pleased by service we received. The staff (especially a lovely lady on the desk, Michele) were by far one of the most helpful reception staff we have ever encountered at any hotel. She gave us great information on tourist activities and even gave us coupons off. Location was good-only a short bus ride away from stanley park and on route for the free bus ride to capilano suspension bridge. Room was good value-no complaints. Would highly recommend.

    4
    « Pleasant Stay »

We reserved two rooms. We arrived too early for check in yet the staff gave us one room and we were able to store the luggage in our room until the second room was ready. Reception gave us lots of information about what to do and discount coupons. Also told us that we had two bus lines that would take us to Stanley Park and provided change. The pool is nice it is outside. Bummer no complimentary breakfast but many places in the area to eat. The room was ok but the air conditioning units should be updated (noisy and not very powerful). Late in the night someone was smoking on the first floor and my room smelled like cigarettes for awhile. Besides that a very pleasant stay.

    « Best customer service! »

The room was a pretty standard room as far as hotels go. There was a pool onsite, guest laundry, and a gas station near by. We were less than a mile from a grocery store that was a very nice walk for our family. We were also just about two blocks away from the free shuttle to Capilano Suspension Bridge (which was amazing!). We stayed at the hotel for two nights before our Alaskan cruise. We had picked up some souvenirs while in Canada before our cruise. When we got home and unpacked, we realized we were missing all of our Canadian souvenirs. I called the hotel and they told me they had my things. WHEW! The offered to have them shipped to me, I quickly agreed! They called me no less than two times to verify that they had the shipping address correct, and to verify that they were using the correct credit card. They were so very kind and friendly every time they contacted me. Our souvenirs arrived safely, and within just a few days of my phone call to the hotel. I would highly recommend them for their service! Thank you for saving our souvenirs!

    « Visiting family »

A convenient location for what we wanted. The hotel is very basic and looking a bit tired. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a restaurant on site but the breakfast wasn't that special nor the service. Dennys was just around the corner and within walking distance.

    5
« Very helpful in the face of Vancouver's ridiculous taxi rules »

Somewhat unprepossessing from the exterior and the rooms are a little basic, but clean and with very comfortable beds. This is an excellent place to stay if you have business in North Vancouver or an overnight stop before a ferry from Horseshoe Bay. It is also very handy for the Capilano suspension bridge, the shuttle from which will drop you by the hotel. But what made this hotel was the extremely helpful attitude of the staff throughout, and in particular when we had to get to the ferry and were confounded by the ludicrous regulations governing Vancouver taxis. We were a party of five, which is only just short of a capital offence in the eyes of whatever insane and protectionist body governs taxis in this place. So with no taxi willing to take five and with the clock ticking until ferry time, the manager stepped in to help - as did her daughter, offering to drive us to the terminal. In the end this wasn't necessary, but many thanks to the staff for their help. (On the same day, there was a local newspaper article featuring some Vancouver politician complaining about too many cars on the roads. Mate - try loosening your silly rules about four in a taxi and there might be a few less.) The pancake house on-site does an excellent and quick breakfast. The waitress in there is the best server we had during several weeks in Canada.

    « For a wedding »

This is the second time we have come to this part of Vancouver for a wedding and decided to stay here again. It is a simple hotel but comfortable enough. It does have a restaurant on site which we used once for breakfast not overly inspiring but went back to Dennys which is walking distance around the corner.

    3
    « Basic and dated »

Stayed a few nights in a 1 bedroom suite. The room was in the back on the property and on the second floor. Room was a nice size. Furniture was dated (80s) and the A/C came from the 70s from the looks of it. We had to keep it running the entire time to keep the room cool. The bedroom is located on the far side of the room and does not have and AC unit in it. They have free WIFI, but it was real spotty at best with several disconnects. A major factor when traveling out of country if you trying to avoid mobile phone roaming charges. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but then would I visit North Van again for an extended stay? Probably not.

    4
    « Convenient and comfy »

We stayed one night while passing through so only really needed somewhere clean, close and comfy and that is what we got at a good price. If you wanted somewhere as a base for a few days it would also work as Downtown, Stanley Park, Capilano and Grouse Mountain all close.

    2
    « Less than I expected »

Upon arrival, there was no parking close to the office. The parking was very tight (the stalls were narrow) in the regular parking lot as well. The room was very small and could use updating. The bathroom was also very small and could use some updating as well. Bed was excellent. Was happy with the internet service. We had booked for 3 people but there wasn't shampoo for all of us.

    2
    « Heart Break hotel »

The room was a bit shoddy and small. There was no breakfast bar and a I pad and kindle were taken form this room belonging to my grandson. It was not turned in. First time I have had things stolen in a hotel.

  • 3
    « Very basic old »

Not a very pleasant experience for the price we paid. Very basic accommodation, but clean and fairly quiet. The parking lot is very very tight, We arrived at 10 p.m. and it was very hard to find a spot.

    5
« Everything you need for a great price! »

I was looking for a cheap room in the Vancouver area and this definitely satisfied that. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was for the star rating though. Very clean rooms with nice bathroom and showers, nice tv, and decently comfortable beds. Didn't dine at their restaurant but it smelled really good during breakfast hours. Very easy (and free) access to the Capilano Suspension bridge from here as well. That was a huge plus for me.

    4
    « Small but Clean »

We spend two nights at the Capilano Inn on Father Day's Weekend. It is a little old and the room was on the small side, but it was very clean and well maintained. It was very convenient for us as it is only a short distance to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and easy to the Sea to Sky Road. The restaurant at the hotel is wonderful. We only ate breakfast there but the Dutch breakfast was delicious!

    4
« Good Beds, no brkfst »

We were disappointed to not get a hotel breakfast. The De Dutch restaurant adjoining the hotel prepared fantastic food and had great staff, but it was pricey. More costly than some of our other lunches, etc.. Maybe we splurged since it was our only sit-down breakfast. It was delicious!

    3
    « Capilano Inn »

Conveniently located near Lions Gate Bridge and Capilano Suspension Bridge. Rooms are clean but small with plain decor. No breakfast service offered. Quiet property with access to nearby food and gas.

    3
« FAIRLY GOOD IN NEED OF A RENOVATION »

This hotel is close to the North entrance to the Lions Gate Bridge. It offers excellent access to Vancouver without the high prices that Vancouver hotels are known for. It has an onsite breakfast/lunch restaurant (no free breakfast), and is close to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The rooms are small and dated, but the beds are comfortable. The rooms lack sufficient power outlets, and the room was hot due to a lack of air conditioning. Internet was poor. Parking is very tight, and would be challenging for anyone with a large SUV or pickup. Front desk staff were very helpful. I would stay here again, but a renovation is overdue.

    4
    « Vacation in Vancouver »

Hotel was neat and clean. The location was very convenient to several attractions and restaurants. Only problem was that when we used the guest laundry, one of the dryers was broken and this significantly lengthened the time that we had to spend doing laundry. Also the restaurant at the hotel did not have a great variety of menu selections so we avoided it.

    4
    « A good place to stay »

The hotel looked nice and the room was clean, comfortable, but small for two beds. The beds and pillows could of been better, The bathroom was small but the shower updated. No microwave or refrigerator, which we really needed. Enjoyed being close to the attractions we wanted to visit. Stanley Park and Lynn Canyon were only a few miles away. The hotel staff were very nice and did try to help. We probably would stay again.

    5
« Most helpful reception ever & great location! »

The reception staff were so helpful and the location was awesome after spending a whole day in North Vancouver. Comfortable room but had noisy guests above us & traffic starts early & goes late so not the most peaceful location but definitely a convenient one. There is a separate restaurant attached and other restaurants within walking distance.

    4
    « Best Room Ever »

Room immaculate & bed the most comfortable I have ever had the pleasure to sleep in. I loved this Suite, it was spacious & the tv was easy to figure out. I really liked how the den area was completely separate from the bed area & really loved the separate sink in the bedroom for makeup in a.m. I could not hook up to internet, the signal was too weak, not sure what the issue was, but didn't need it anyway. Was not a real issue for me & there was a hotel help line for that, I just did not call.

« Nice stay before cruise »

This hotel made a great place to spend a couple nights before getting on our cruise ship. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with any questions we had about the area. Not having complimentary breakfast was a negative. The breakfast we purchased at the on-site restaurant was good, but a little pricey. Free shuttle service to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park was convenient although we opted to walk back to the hotel.

    3
    « Great staff! »

We recently stayed here during a very busy weekend that saw the hotel filled to capacity. It is one of the more basic Best Westerns that we've stayed in, but for our needs it fit the bill. The room was a fair size and was kept very clean. The pool was used a lot but, considering how full the hotel was, by 10-10:30 all of the noise had quietened down. The hotel should be commended for its excellent staff. The front desk staff were always willing to go the extra mile, and the cleaning & maintenance staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The guests who were in our room before us had spilled water on the carpet, and we were not able to move rooms because it was a very busy weekend for the hotel. The staff checked in with us every day, monitored the floor and gave us a generous discount for our stay. I gave a general rating of "Average" only because of how basic the hotel itself is, but the staff deserve an "Excellent."

    1
« Best western Capilano inn & suites »

Not worth it, this best western is a dive, it's not up to best western standards, should be torn down and rebuilt, taking it out of the 20th century and bringing it into the 21st century, should have more than just one suite that takes 5 people, had mould on the bathroom walls and drywall is peeling and mouldy, would recommend the Grouse inn across the road. Not even worth half a star, should have no stars.

    4
    « Comfortable Over Night! »

This hotel is located in an easy to find, practical location, close to all the places I needed to go to. Well maintained (painted sidewalks) and nice and clean throughout the property. Room was clean and tastefully decorated, basic. Bed was very comfortable. Restaurant on site... what more could you ask for? Evening gentleman that checked me in wasn't overly warm and friendly, but the check out staff were. The restaurant provided a nice breakfast, however it took a very long time for my order. I will stay here again.

    3
    « No WiFi »

This hotel is located in a cluster of reasonably priced hotels in North Van. It was clean and comfortable and the staff tried to be as helpful as possible. However the WiFi did not work well at all. It was so slow that the hotel connection constantly timed out while I was trying to check my email and online speedtest could not even run a check on it Front desk staff gave me a number to call which turned out to be an internet provider/troubleshooter out of the USA. I called them 5 times for help until they finally told me that the Best Western refused to pay for enough bandwidth to provide WiFi for all the rooms and there was nothing more they could do. When I checked out the lady at the front desk commented on how many complaints they were receiving about the internet service. If you are on business or need basic WiFi to check your emails avoid this hotel. If you do not require internet services this is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced hotel. Nice swimming pool as well.

    « average »

I chose this hotel because of its location: I was on the North Shore for business and did not want to do the bridge twice a day. For that this hotel was great. For families etc on holiday, it's much more reasonable in price, but for business, not that great. The internet kept dropping, there weren't a lot of plugs, no office chair so I used a side chair whose arms did not allow me to sit as close as I needed to. Really noisy bathroom fan, light switch to sink area was at the exterior door, and because it's a wood structure I heard every footstep of the occupants above me, and the noisy infants beside me, Beds great, decor really dated.

    « Clean »

We spent two nights here while we attended a wedding. Very clean comfortable and affordable. Kids enjoyed pool and was a relaxing stay. Quite quiet as well considering it being located on a major rout. Close to many good restaurants if you don't like pricey pancakes at In house one. Would stay here again!

    « Just OK »

You definitely get what you pay for. We selected this location because of its ease of track to other attractions we wanted to visit while here. We always stay at a Best Western and frankly we expected a little better. The room is ok, stuffy and you need to keep the air on which is very noisy. We had a street level room and if you turn off air conditioner you can hear all the walking and noise above you. We always leave the cleaning staff a daily tip since we appreciate the work they do for us to make our stay pleasant hover after the first day I considered not leaving anything. The bed looked like it was made by a ten year old. No care was taken to make the bad properly. You do not have a option to change sheets and I find that u acceptable. Fridge was older than me and freezer section did not freeze. For someone that needs to keep ice packs frozen so we can carry our insulin during out days out it was a problem( I told then about this before we arrive). Honestly won't stay hear ever again or recommend to anyone,

« Might as well have slept in the car »

Arriving at the room I noticed I could see light through the the closed door. Apparently seals are optional. The toilet was ready to fall over and there was no water pressure. The lack of noise suppression from the front door would not have been too bad if the rest of the guests were civil. A little traffic noise I could live with. But of course someone was up screaming and arguing until three and some other people were running around until five. I did try turning on the air conditioner to mask the noise but you will need hearing protection to avoid permanent hearing loss. Pretty much the worst hotel stay of my life.

    « Good Stay »

Very good staff and good location. Restaurant food was pretty good. Consider putting fridges and microwaves in all rooms as that is expected these days. Hotel is a clean but getting a little dated. Will stay at a different hotel on my next trip.

« Pleasant Stay - Would Go Back »

Stayed here on two separate occasions in a matter of days as we were staying for a dance competition. The room was great and the location was excellent for our needs. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom, although a little small, was clean and just what I was expecting. The lady I dealt with at check in on the first occasion was awesome - extended my checkout time and sorted out payment automatically as though this was a standard thing to do, so I could just leave the key in my room and be gone. The gentleman that I dealt with at the second check in was not quite so obliging and said I would need to come and pay when I left. The hotel was busy so parking was a bit hard to come by but there were still enough spaces. I was a bit disappointed that despite calling ahead to cancel the crib that was on both my reservations, that message from central Best Western reservations had not got through to the hotel. So full marks for them having a crib in the room ready to go but bad job by Best Western reservations for not advising the hotel locally that it was no longer needed. All in all a great stay and I would definitely stay there again if the need arose.

« You get what you pay for »

A pleasant hotel with convenient location to the Capilano Suspension Bridge - the reason for our stay. Facilities were good although we didn't bother with the restaurant and eat out for breakfast. Rooms were average but pleasing, clean and comfortable.

    4
« Great Location, clean, but slightly dated »

We stayed here 3 times in the last 25 years. It is a great location near the Capilano Suspension Bridge & Stanley Park. Breakfast is not included in the rates. Great place if you're heading north or taking the ferry to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

« Surprisingly clean and very friendly staff »

Meets needs. Nothing fancy or many amenities (besides outdoor seasonal pool and restaurant), but great when doing a lot of sight seeing anyways. Felt like a safe hotel, very clean and very friendly staff. They went out of their way to be accommodating. Also very affordable. Would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Surprisingly nice stay »

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night and the hotel is older and a bit dated in places, but you can tell they are working to improve it. The place was very clean, the staff were friendly, and the beds were very comfy. Parking was a bit of an issue. It almost seems like maybe they should do away with the outdoor pool and just make parking more accessible. One complaint was that someone started using a saw in the parking lot at I think around 8am and that was a bit annoying, and also some traffic could be heard, but our room wasn't far from the road so I guess it is understandable. I am a light sleeper so I could hear it but my husband couldn't hear any traffic. My husband enjoyed it so much he booked here for his recent work trip.

« Good Value, Nice Hotel »

Was looking for a cheap, clean, convenient hotel as I had an early morning appointment. The Best Western fit the bill. Denny's is a short walk away. Beds were comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

  • 3
    « Met my needs »

My stay was satisfactory. The hotel was clean. I did not understand the process of checking out and having hotel staff confirm that we had left the room which meant I could not check out while my husband was taking our bags out. Keys had to be turned in (both sets). The location to the scenic areas, Capilano Bridge, Stanley Park, Lions Gate Bridge, and Park Royal Shopping is perfect.

    4
« Clean at affordable price »

We were very impressed with the cleaniness of the hotel. The staff was very friendly. Location is perfect for the suspension bridge and Grass Mountain. However in the morning it was a bit noisy due to guests checking out with car doors banging. The bed is on the 'soft' side in our opinion. The price is very reasonable. We never had a bad experience with Best Western.

    5
    « Convenient gem »

Do not be fooled by outside appearance. The rooms are very clean, the beds super comfortable, and the location is perfect. It is also an extremely great value. I would stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for affordable place to stay while in Vancouver. Grouse Mountain and the suspension bridge are just up the street and it's easy to get to downtown.

    5
    « Great place! »

Where do I start great place great location & our room was very clean. We had a king suite and it suited our needs very well the fridge & the little stove came in very handy. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on. We didn't hear any street noise it was very quiet at night. The price was excellent as well compared to others in the area. No breakfast was included but we bought our own food to keep in the fridge it worked for us. Two little drawbacks is parking is a little tight when your in a bigger vehicle and lastly the WiFi seemed to cut out in the bedroom area but worked fine in the livingroom. That being said I would most definitely stay here again if I find myself in the area!

« stay in Best Western Capilano Inn & Suites »

A good hotel, especially for travelers with family like us. We liked that it was very near the Capilano Suspension Bridge. However, we were really disappointed at the traffic and the distance to downtown area. On the over-all, it was a very satisfying stay.

    4
« Great Deal for tourists »

The hotel is in a good location for its price, walking distance (20 minutes) to both Park Royal Shopping Center and attractions such as the Lion's Gate Bridge and Stanely Park. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and it takes a 10 minutes ride to the Grouse Mountain. The room is clean and well-heated and the beds are comfortalbe. The internet is not that fast, but sufficient for light browsing and emails. Staffs are professional and courteous. Complementary breakfast is not included, though there are many restaurants within walking distance.

« Not bad at all »

Wasn't expecting to much cause it was a Priceline deal but it turned out to be a real good value. Quick check in. Bed was fine. Floors clean. Bathroom needs an update. Parking was no problem. The location to lions gate bridge, West Vancouver, and shopping was excellent. Try it out. Nothing really negative except. My remote didn't work so good!

    « Great Deal! »

We thought this was a great value for the price. Close enough to the city, without paying downtown prices. It is located near a busy street so if your room is on that side, it can get noisy with passing cars and trucks. But the rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We slept very well! No fridge, but they do have a coffee pot. We will stay here again.

    « Great Experience »

Nice staff, very comfortable beds, exceptional cleaning staff. A bit noisy with the busy roads right there but due to the comfort level of the beds we didn't find it an issue. Amenities very close by and a great breakfast restaurant in the hotel.

« Receptionist - Beyond the call for duty! »

Michelle took her time to advise me on a number of issues. The hotel is very good compared to others in the area. Walk to restaurants. Usually quick access to downtown Vancouver over the bridge but avoid rush hour.

    « an ok stay. »

This is more of a travel motel. The rooms are a reasonable size, they are clean and the beds are comfortable. There walls are super thin and lots of road noise. No microwave or fridge unless you book a deluxe. Very small basic bathroom . The hotel was in the right location to meet our needs and the price was good value. Adequate but no more than that.

« Not welcoming, comfortable hotel though »

Room was fine, staff not so friendly. Room was over parking lot, so heard everything! Bed was comfortable. Ended up with 3 charges on my bank account for one night stay. Not happy with employee denying she didn't do it. Then how did I get three charges.? She said I would have to contact my bank on Monday. Wow, that's it?? Would stay here again, possibly. Room was adequate, restaurant so-so with their luke warm food. Beware of the front desk people!

« No 24 hour serivce at the front desk »

The overall accommodations were good, but the guest services was truly lacking. No matter where I go I have a routine I prefer to follow which includes starting my day with my fitness routine. This requires an early start to the day and I chose this hotel because of the availability of a fitness facility. Unfortunately I had issues getting to the gym because the front desk attendant was not available each time I arrived to the lobby. The day shift representative were great, but it takes one to really sour an experience.

« excellent service and valuel »

This is a small hotel in North Vancouver with easy access from #1 highway. The reception staff were most accommodating and polite. Our room on the the second floor was immaculate in presentation and quiet at night.

« Long Term Stay in North Vancouver »

The suite had a separate bedroom and was very reasonable in cost with the kitchenette and King size bed while we were visiting family & friends for over a month or more. The hotel is centrally located for shopping in West & North Vancouver, skiing at Whistler & Grouse Mountain, easy access to the downtown area and Stanley Park. As well as getting to and from the airport, and out to the valley to the ferries & US border. We have been staying at this same hotel since 2007 and keep coming back to the excellent service by all the staff and management.

    « Good value »

My husband and I stayed here February 2nd, and my husband stayed alone February 3rd as I was post-op in hospital. Our room was clean and quiet with adequate amenities. The bed was very comfortable with stored extra blankets if we needed them. There is some street noise from Capilano Road if the window is left open a bit for ventilation. Our one complaint was that wifi would not stay hooked up for long. I went to the front desk twice for help and was told that the signal for the adjoining hotel was stronger and to hook up using their password, but this didn't last long either. The following night Bob used the computer in the lobby to notify family of the day's events. So if you want workable wifi don't stay in room 234. Otherwise it was fine.

« Great place to crash »

The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. It was a brief stop-over on our way up to Whistler and we arrived late at night. Check-in was a breeze, as was check-out, and the whole process was very smooth. Would definitely recommend this hotel for this type of stay again.

    « Third Stay »

Yesterday was my third stay at this location. I really like this Best Western, its one of my favorites. Very clean, the towels smell really nice and everything is always in good working order. Staff are great. This place always fills up at night and some guest vehicals are extremely expensive, so that says a lot. It is cheaper than most places on the coast and has free parking. So this place is a steal of a deal.

Quiet, clean, well-appointed room right off Hwy 1 in North Vancouver. Just 10 minutes from downtown Vancouver or attractions in North Vancouver. No breakfast included or microwave or refrigerator in room.

Our family stayed here for our annual new years trip to the Grouse Mountain ski area. The room is clean, newly remodeled, and well heated. It worked very well for our skiing and recreation needs. Breakfast restaurant was delicious, too.

« Always A Pleasure to Stay at the Best Western North Vancouver »

I have been coming to North Vancouver for the last 3 years off and on. I am always happy to book the Best Western Inn & Suites. I am a loyal member of Best Western . Very, clean , Location is quite the suites are in the back and very quite. The King Suites are very nice. Your best bet on the North Shore Vancouver BC. Kelly

    « Just okay »

Well not a bad price here BUT old, dated, a tiny tv and my check in person was not all that sympathetic to my really horrid day I had! And as far as I know no free breakfast either...? So a best practice to maybe just pick somewhere else unless stuck.

« Inside is so much better than Outside »

The check-in representative was pleasant and knowledgeable. The outside of the hotel though, had kind of a "budget" look. The parking was free and available. The room itself was very nice but somewhat cozy and quiet. It had an air conditioner, a small, but full bath with tub, 2 sitting chairs, complete cable tv and wifi. The location was perfect for us, as we were taking a BC Ferry from Horseshoe Bay at 7am. The absolute selling point for this hotel, and the reason I would gladly return is the comfort of the full size bed. I haven't slept so well in a long time. It was on the firmer side, but probably with a comfortable layer of gel on the top. I have never experienced a hotel bed so comfortable. Breakfast was not included here, but we were leaving so early, it didn't matter. We had a wonderful breakfast on the Ferry. I'm so glad we picked this hotel.

For the money it can't be beat....clean rooms that sure could use updating but we were there to sleep....the front desk staff was wonderful, conveniently located close to amenities like Tim Hortons, Denny's, de Dutch...great food at reasonable price on site, shopping, and tourist attractions. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

    « Clean and comfortable »

We stayed at the Capilano Best Western for 1 night. We were passing through. We were pleased at how clean the room was. We always check the mattress for anything creepy crawly, the hotel was immaculately clean. The look of the hotel is getting dated and tired, but for a clean reasonable comfortable bed, short term stay, this was perfect for us. We will return for sure.

« Free parking, clean and great value »

When I was initially browsing around hotels for our trip to Vancouver, I looked in the downtown core area and everything was pretty expensive not to account that there's no free parking. So even booking through sites like Priceline seemed to be pretty pricey as parking in those hotel adds up. I then further looked for hotels just within 15mins drive from the downtown core and landed upon this Best Western! What drove me here was first, it had pretty decent reviews, reasonable price and it was the edge of North Vancouver so still pretty close to the downtown district. It also served as a prime location when going to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park or the Lynn Canyon Bridge or Whistler. Sometimes crossing the bridge between North Vancouver to downtown Vancouver looked pretty congested but to our surprised, it never really affected us much, especially cause we started most of our days doing activities in North Vancouver then heading to the downtown core. Now talking about the accommodation itself, it's pretty clean for what it is...it's very simple, don't expect much as it is an "inn & suites" after all and not a Best Western Plus. We knew that going into it and it served our purpose. We stayed there for 3 nights, we were all pretty well rested, washrooms were clean, only thing I would pick on is that they don't have that much staff, so say if you ran out of tissue, you would have walk outside to the lobby to get it yourself..which isn't really a deal breaker! We stayed here mid September weekend and to our surprise, the parking lot was pretty packed on the nights of Fri and Sat. One issue we did have when we stayed was there were also a pack of motorcyclists staying there and they were SUPER loud, one night they came back really late and you can hear all the loud noises their bikes made as all the room windows and entrances faces in towards the parking lot. And one morning, they decide to head out SUPER early and was making a heck of an exit. I think in general, at normal noise level, you wouldn't pick up much noise from the outside but because these were Harley Davidsons outside idling for awhile, we heard it all and disturbed our sleep. All in all, I would still recommend this as their location is convenient with FREE parking, rooms are clean and pricing is reasonable.

    « Great Location & Great Value »

Stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter and our exchange student from Montreal. We were visiting from the interior , but I grew up in North Vancouver and lived here till mid 20's, figured this motel would be a good location and wasn't disapointed. This motel is in an excellent location, which was one of the reasons I chose it. We were able to go to attractions on North Shore in minutes and also be in Stanley Park in under 10 minutes. Not to mention that Park Royal shopping centre is walking distance or a 3 minute drive. Nothing fancy, our room was clean, free parking and wifi. Very basic, but that is what I expected. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again, I wanted a clean place to sleep, great location and no hassle, that's what we got. If you want no traffic noise and frills, not the place for you.

We spent two very enjoyable nights at the Capilano before or cruise. Staff and facilities were both excellent. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was delicious! Would definitely recommend (though be aware that there is no lift to the second floor)
