"One night Best Western at the airport in Syracuse"

Best Western seriously needs to update their software. They can not look up a reservation by your last name or by your frequent stayer card#. I'm sure other customers have showed up without their confirmation# only to be told they had no record of their reservation and they can't look your reservation by your name. Soooo frustrating!! And this motel needs some serious renovation! It needs new carpet, new beds, new furniture. Pillow top beds would be nice. Bless the hearts of the girls at the front desk. They really have to take the heat of frustrated customers like me. But they handled it well. Emily helped me the best she could.

"Brutal 70's Dump"

Place needs to be renovated or at least buy new beds and the proper linen to match, place was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I can pretty much guarantee that the Best Western franchise audit team hasn't done an inspection lately, or I would say they are in non compliance with brand standards. If we hadn't prepaid the booking we would have walked out and taken a different hotel. The hotel preys on the fact it is close to the airport, you should avoid a stay regardless of the price point. Looking forward to the management response as to how this is acceptable in any form! At best it is a 1 Star property.

My friend & I had a 6 a.m. flight to catch and decided to stay the night before at Best Western Syracuse Airport Inn. Great staff at front desk, lounge, restaurant & shuttle. Good, clean room. It was great to be able to leave car at hotel & get dropped off instead of trying to figure way through construction!

"A bit sketchy "

Given the flight schedule out of SYR you often have to get up in the wee hours to make your 5:40am departure. We decided to position down at the airport to have a nice dinner and not have to get up at 3 am. From the tattoo on the women checking us in - a dagger wrapped by a scroll that said something like “Beauty” and “Rage” to the overall aged feel of the place I would recommend staying further out. And they charge you $10 bucks a day to leave your car which is virtually the same as parking in the airport itself.

Surprisingly quiet since next to airport, but very convenient to be so close. We got in at midnight and just walked over to the hotel. Breakfast was good. Easy to get ride back to airport to pick up my rental car the next morning.

This was actually our second visit to this hotel. Had a pleasant room on the ground floor at the back which was very quiet. Breakfast was very good and we had dinner on out first evening and that was good too. The staff at the front desk and the dining area were all very pleasant and friendly. The housekeeping staff seemed to have an attitude and didn't like it when you had your "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Our last day the room wasn't even done and did bring attention to the Front Desk who in fairness did offer to try to get housekeeping to come back but said I would live with it. Went out of their way to find me some garden furniture so I could sit oustide on one of the nice days we had. Overall it was a pleasant stay and a good ocatuon for basically getting anywhere.

Great staff. Generous breakfasts. No elevator so get a bottom floor room. May be a little noisy but hauling luggage upstairs is a no go. Shuttle service to,airport and the driver was a great help since there is massive construction at the airport and things are hard to find? Only stayed overnight due to red eye schedule.

"Perfect place to stay when flying out of SYR"

You can't beat the location if flying out of SYR. It's literally right on the property and just a short distance from the front door of the airport. They also have a shuttle bus, so you can leave your car in their parking lot while you're away. It's nothing fancy, but they do have a pool and restaurant, so that makes it even better.

I stayed here as I had a very early flight the next morning and live an hour away - it was very convenient and everyone was very friendly and helpful!! Will definitely stay here again if/when I have another early flight.

We consistently use this property when flying in and out of Syracuse. The property has a lot to offer and is updating. The restaurant is open late to accommodate our arrival after work. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The access is easy, so close you could walk to the airport.

My husband and I got into the airport at midnight, to late to drive home considering we'd been up for 10 hour already. Went into the hotel and they said they had one last room, I said we'll take it. April the girl that check us in went above and beyond for us. The room was clean, big and very comfortable. Will stay again for sure. Thank You.

The hotel was overall in poor condition. I was recommended by American Airlines and if given a choice I would not have stayed and for sure will never stay again. The sheets are paper thin, old and linty. The room smelled weird. The chair in my room (239) was covered in spots and stains. I found someones hair in my bed and the sheets were wrinkled as though they hadn't been changed, just remade. The people at the desk acted as thought they didn't care about anything. When I voiced that I was not happy with the room and wanted to leave less than an hour after checking in, the woman tried to nickel and dime me saying I'd have to pay $45 even though I had barely touched anything in the room. Service was awful. (Except for the young lady on night shift, she was awesome and sweet). For the same price I could have stayed at a better hotel just a little bit farther away and actually enjoyed my experience. Also in the future, take into consideration that you are next to an airport and that customers may need to check out at odd times. I asked if I could check out a few hours after checkout, because my flight left at 7 pm. I was again told $45 for 5 hours, as thought the room was even worth that. In short... there's a lot of work you'd have to do. I'd rather stay in a college dorm room than this place again.

Did the stay and park package. Convenient and reasonably priced. Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. The bar is great, food is good. Breakfast is nice. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable.

Stayed at this hotel quite a few times for business related reasons, breakfast and dinner was amazing, food was great. Rooms are small but nice! The view of the runway is what I loved, especially at night. Hotel staff are very friendly!

"Dirty Sheets"

I was given a room that was "perfectly" made up with a well made bed, folded towels, new toiletries, etc. But the sheets were dirty! Not only that, but the same spill on the sheets was also on the nightstand next to it. After asking for new sheets, not one, but TWO staff members confided that "half-clean" rooms have been a consistent problem and that management has refused to address the problem. The staff members confided the issue to me separately... so it's not like they heard one another. It came from two mouths, separately, that had not connected with one another before telling me. That's confirmation.. confirmation in what they both said, and confirmed a third time by my dirty sheets. I only knew my sheets were dirty because I was fortunate enough that the last person actually spilled something on them. How dirty will yours be with stuff you don't even know about? What about your pillow case that you put your head on at night? There are so many other hotels around here, just be on the safe side and stay at another hotel. Also, they put your clean towels on the bed... Why are towels meant for your clean naked body being placed on a yucky bedspread? Also, when they brought me clean bedding, they did not bring me a replacement comforter.. just sheets. They definitely don't wash the top comforter after each stay. Why are they putting your clean towels on it? Poor management decisions. Save the risk and book somewhere else 2 minutes away.

We assure you that each room's sheets are changed daily. Our daily cleaning process involves the Executive Housekeeper stripping the bed and transferring those to the laundry room. Our housekeepers are then provided with clean, fresh linen daily. After the cleaning service is complete, we have our Executive Housekeeper inspect each room for compliance. Additionally, we are sorry to hear you did not enjoy our decorative dog towels on the bed runner. Bathroom towels for showering are available in the bathroom. Location was great. Fast in and out and clean. Only stayed one night but had an early flight. Shuttle service was fast and efficient. Early shuttles and late shuttles. Made my trip a lot easier. Shuttle driver loaded and unloaded my bags.

This hotel has the best location to the Syracuse Airport, but the rooms need work. Traveling with kids we like rooms that you cannot hear the neighbor or hallway noise and vice versa with nobody hearing our kids, but this hotel you can. The door to the hallway lets a lot of light in the room. For the most part the room was clean, there was a few flying bugs in it though. The shuttle service is terrific. Breakfast wasn't bad. Would stay again out of location and not having to get up so early for a flight.

It was average. The beds are only Full size beds. The complimentary breakfast was average with bagels, bacon, cereal, milk, juice, etc. However the staff were amazing. They went above & beyond to make sure our needs were met. We had just had a nightmare flight experience and the hotel clerk was super accommodating. This hotel also offers discount airport parking.

"Think walls"

The place needs to be renovated, very old rooms and the walls are so thin that I could hear everything my neighbors were doing until 3AM. The breakfast was ok, eggs, sausage, bagels. Maybe add an elevator. The night staff clerk was very nice and gave me choice of 1st or 2nd floor. It all comes down to convenience and being right near the airport, that's the only reason I stayed there.

Used the stay and park service. Shuttle was timely and both drivers helpful. Inn was clean. Ate dinner at the while sitting at the bar. Very friendly bartender and the food was good. No elevators so if you are elderly and have baggage request a first floor room.

Stopped at this BW during one of my road trip through North America passing throught Syracuse meeting my family and had been positively surprised. Free parking, large rooms, abundant breakfast. Available laundry service. Did not find gym! I will come back soon! Recommended!

Easy on off I-81 or 481 & easy to get to New York Thruway, about 6 minutes to Destiny, 10 to SU, 20 minutes to Oneida Lake, and you could actually walk to the airport, but you never hear the planes. Really nice employees that want you to feel comfortable and at home.

The room was old and dirty. There was dust everywhere and a mild (but unpleasant) odor. The coffee maker was in the bathroom - gross!! The girl at the front desk was very nice though and the breakfast was decent.

The place is old, worn, shabby and dated. Although I requested a corner room ahead of time when I reserved the room I did not get one.....I was told that a corner room would be ready. Carpets are dreary and very worn, the room is not well lighted, the shower turned cold halfway through, the bathroom also dated and worn, The amenities provided in the bathroom were a joke (soap, shampoo, coffee, towels, etc.are the cheapest of the cheap). Staff did not present professionally, dressed like they were hanging around in their living room instead of being the face of Best Western. Shuttle bus driver was the most helpful and professional. The front desk staff had attitude, not the good kind. I will not stay at Best Western again in any city.

The room was very clean, but a bit outdated. The staff were friendly. Breakfast Buffet and Wifi Included. Had a good nights sleep as the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is within 5 minutes of the Syracuse Airport and there was o noise from the airplanes in the night.

I have stayed here several times in the past. This hotel needs some attention by BW. What you paid to stay here they could have provided a better breakfast. Not great! The tv did not work properly in the room. The sink was starting to get plugged. Probably needed some "Drain O" to get the water to flow properly.

I have stayed here many times...for one reason. You can park your car and leave it there while you fly away. Upon return, the motel sends a shuttle to pick you up and drives you directly to your car. VERY CONVENIENT!! The staff is friendly and helpful. The venue is old and tired, but functional and comfortable. The walls are a bit thin...easy to hear noise next door..but everyone is staying here because they have a flight the next morning....so people generally turn in by 10:30. Beds comfortable. Price right.

My stay was comfortable. The room was clean and fresh. The staff eagerly goes the extra step to ensure your satisfaction. The hotel is not elegant or new but is in good repair and clean. The heating/air conditioning was quite and easily maintained the desired temperature.

Great stay. Convenient to the airport (just down the road). Amazing staff willing to go that extra mile for their guests. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is a little dated, but the room was very clean! And the cost was perfect!

We always stay here when flying to Punta Cana Dominican Republic. Great shuttle service and parking... The people working the front desk and shuttle service are always friendly. Great morning coffee and light breakfast... Great chicken wings at dinner time in the bar area.

You can easily walk from the hotel to the airport terminal in 10 mins but they have an excellent transport service. Our check-in was very efficient and friendly. The room was very small with an old mattress so it was not a very comfortable night's sleep, unfortunately. The room walls are also very thin. The lobby bar is cozy and the restaurant serves tasty meals for dinner and opens for the free breakfast at 0400 hours. There is long-term parking available at 10 USD/day that can be arranged upon arrival. This is a basic hotel but good if you need to Park and fly on an early flight.

"Place is filthy"

Flies coming out of the bathroom sink, dirty soap bar and hair in the shower. Shower curtain smelled horrible - scared to touch. Would not recommend to anyone despite convenience. Old is one thing, filth is entirely different.

It was clean. Probably should update the tv's. Had trouble logging onto the internet. No instructions given. Eventually call the front desk and the guy came down and got us going. More than I would have figured out. Not that tec savy. But it was a comfortable place and breakfast was ok. Not a full buffet but satisfactory to get us going. We would stay there again.

I would NOT advise anyone who cares about cleanliness to stay at this site! Guest are assigned rooms that are reeking of smoke. When reporting it to the front desk, I was told that they knew about it, apologized that the housekeepers didn't do a better job with airing the room. Why assign guests without checking it first? When assigned to another room which happened to be a suite and upon getting ready to shower, dark brown water flowed from the pipes. YIKES! When reporting it to the front desk, I was told that there was a plumbing issue a few days ago. Why didn't someone check the room before assigning guests to it? Seriously needs a new manager, a housekeeping crew and people who care about a BEST WESTERN site! NEVER had this serious problems at any other BW establishment! NEVER WILL STAY HERE AGAIN! If you do, good luck!!

This hotel is a great location for an early flight. Restaurant and bar in the hotel is nice as always, but not a huge menu, or any special. Rooms are nothing to write home about, but nothing broken, or dirty so for the value it is good. Note that there is no elevator, so you have to carry bags up stairs. You can pay for parking there, but for the difference in price, I decided to go to the terminal parking to avoid shuttles.

I don't go to Syracuse only maybe once a year. This is where I stay. It is a very nice place with friendly staff. Great place to stay. I have never had a bad experience at this hotel. I would highly recommend it.

The room had not been updated for some time. The onsite "restaurant was a joke. Don't expect breakfast to be ready if you have an early flight. Water was not available at breakfast. People were nice. Bed was comfortable.

Our flight was cancelled for mechanical issues, so the airline put us up for the night. Very basic hotel, clean, older, but thankfully coffee in the room and a 4 am breakfast and shuttle back to the airport. Had to go to the office when I landed in home city, so the in room ironing board was welcome so I could press my clothing. It's dated but clean and breakfast was adequate with protein canned fruit yogurt and the waffle machine. No complaints!

For travelers who have a late flight and need to get some good rest without traveling miles to find a hotel, this hotel is just the thing. Within walking distance of the baggage claim area of SYR. There is ample information about the features of the area in and around Syracuse.

This hotel was nothing great. Older hotel from the 60's with no elevator. Dated but clean rooms. Overall experience was just ok. To our surprise, the food in the lounge/restaurant was exceptionally good. Steaks and Oysters were much better than we expected to have in an airport hotel.

Flight to JFK was deferred to more than 12 hours later, and JetBlue gave me some options of preferred tariffs, and this one seemed perfect, and it's so close to the airport, you can see it from the parking lot. That had a vehicle come an pick me up, decent room to crash for the night, clean bathtub. Dinner available till about 10pm, but they open s early as 4am for breakfast, breakfast spread was quite generous on that tariff, mostly read-to-eat stuff but good for fuelling oneself before a journey.

Remember: this is 2.5* rated hotel on Hotwire. I paid $84 on a Saturday during the state fair. Hotel is located at the airport. It's a quiet place. Pool is outdoors in court yard. Restaurant and bar inside hotel with limited hours. Rooms are clean and generally updated. Staff is pleasant. Free Breakfast is reliable and adequate, there's plenty for everyone (eggs aren't the best but ok). I found this place to feel very safe including the parking lot.

This hotel was extremely cordial,clean full of hospitality. My daughter and I stayed there the night before a 6 a.m. flight and found the shuttle and breakfast times to be extremely convenient. We left our car at the hotel during our vacation out of the country and when we returned ,once again, the shuttle was most convenient . Parking at the hotel is cheaper than parking at the airport and you can create a package for a stay and park situation. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

Clean, an airport hotel for convenience. Restaurant hours are excellent a/w/a shuttle service hours. If you make any change to the reservation, confirm all other components as well. I found out after entering the room, if you change the number of beds, it does change other amenities as well. I was not given that information at time of change, as well as the cost. I think it is overpriced for basic accommodations compared to other lodging in the area.

Great staff and very convenient- right near the airport! Rooms were clean and neat. Iron, hair dryer, and other amenities were provided. It has a great restaurant and bar which I found extremely convenient . Coffee and muffins/bagels were available 4:30 AM for your "Red-Eye" flight.

Not as friendly as I would prefer. The rooms are acceptable, but it's an older hotel, so they keep it the best that they can. Beautiful outdoor pool when it's in season. Very close to the airport, of course, but also close to all kinds of restaurants from McDonald's to more expensive. Great location even if you aren't flying.

- Needed an emergency hotel after American Airlines cancelled flights from Ithaca so we needed overnight stay in Syracuse for a 6AM flight. Reservation was easy (called en route to Syracuse). They are practically on airport grounds, 5 minute shuttle that starts at 4:15 AM. They actually had breakfast set out at 4 AM to accommodate early travelers. Amenities were as expected at a Best Western, clean, comfortable, inexpensive. A good choice for travelers with early flights to catch. Restaurant dinner fare was mediocre - but they are open til 10 PM.

Great hotel rooms and convenience for travelers. This hotel is a walking distance to the terminals or just a short drive. Great for layover or early morning travelers. I did not have breakfast or other amenities, but the front office and the the drive to the airport was easy. Not sure about pricing, I think they are constantly higher due to demand. All the same, I will take it again because it is convenient.

The best thing is the location which is three minutes from the gates at SYR and there is a shuttle running back and forth starting in the very early morning (4:00-4:30 AM) . They also have free breakfast and coffee laid out early which is nice. The people who work there are very nice. Only downside to my stay was noisy neighbor (guest next door was loud and walls are thin). WIFI works great as well.

"Nice place to stay when getting in late at airport"

The motel is within walking distance from the airport. We needed a place to stay so we could pick up a car the next day during business hours. The flight from Minneapolis gets in very late at night and our car rental place closed at 10 pm. The motel had a nice room with a comfortable king size bed. They also had a very nice breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly and same person that helped with breakfast was the van driver that took us back to the airport.

The halls, lobby and rooms are filthy in this hotel. The decor is straight out of the 1970s and the amenities are no existent. You can get much nicer hotels for the same, or less money in the area. Highly not recommended.

The staff was outstanding. The rooms not the best. The pool not so great. I would not pick this location again. Breakfast good. You can bring your dog, good. Easy to highway and mall. The room was not clean.

The bed was too hard and the room too warm. No control for temperature. The room was very clean. TV was excellent. It had on demand that worked very well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Shuttle to airport was on time and easy.

"Only Nice Aspect is the Location"

We often find ourselves at the Best Western when arriving at the Syracuse airport late at night after the car rental offices are closed. The only redeeming features are the pleasant staff and the close proximity to the airport. The hotel is an easy five minute walk from the airport and it is fairly well lit after dark. Other than that, the rooms are often dirty, the beds lumpy, and the breakfast horrendous. I really wish the hotel would conduct an overall upgrade and refresh--the rooms look the same as they did when we first started staying at the hotel 22 years ago. But, thanks for having such great staff.

Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff everyone was very accommodating . The rooms are clean the location is excellent . The pool was clean and well looked after, it was very nice to sit by .

We stayed at the airport location to await our grandson who is stationed at Ft. Drum. The double beds did not accommodate 4 people so on the second night we took 2 rooms. We were surprised to find that the second room had a mini fridge and the first room, which was next door did not. The rate was the same for both rooms. Queen beds would have been so much better.

A pleasant stay in a clean and comfortable room where rates did not choke your wallet, Staff went out of their way to make the experience five stars in all respects. For a relatively small central NY airport hotel, I was impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the staff.

We stayed one night because of an early flight. The location couldn't be any closer to the airport a 2 minute drive..The restaurant was a little pricey but the food was good. The breakfast was better than expected, scrambled eggs, sausage,bacon, waffles etc...

Old but okay needs a lot of updating and cleaning and fixing Bathroom tub dripped all the time we were there. Sheets and pillows were also old and carpets etc. all needed to be upgraded. But for a one night stay it was okay

Clean, quiet, comfortable room. a stone throw away from the airport. I wasn't even flying anywhere, Great staff and breakfast is served at 4 am before I leave for work at 5 am. The friendly staff will take you right to the airport.

The exterior of the building was clean and neat. Front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My room was on the first floor, single queen bed. The room was neat and clean, but rather small only one knight stand. Did not swim in the pool. No problem with noisy neighbors. Slept well. Had coffee and donuts at 4 AM. Took the first shuttle to the terminal. Would do it again

From the times I would call to discuss my needs to the actual evening we stayed at this hotel was wonderful. They had a airport shuttle and the night auditor came and got us even through she works nights alone and after 12 midnight because our plane was late.

Just a sad place to stay and I guess they got you because it's an airport hotel so if you have an extremely early flight and don't want to have to drive an hour or more to catch a flight you have to stay there. They use to give free parking and shuttle service to the airport but no longer. If your flight departs before and returns after the shuttle service which they now charge for, it's a useless service. Almost better off sleeping in you car!

I need a clean room and comfortable bed for the night, Best Western Syracuse Airport Inn filled my need completely. I registered, left my bags in my room and took my daughter and granddaughter to dinner at the restaurant. The reasonably priced food was very good and coffee was excellent. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I woke refreshed and ready for a long day of travel.Very good breakfast gave me a good start to the day. Quick trip on the shuttle to the airport and I was on my way. Thank you staff for making my stay so pleasant!

"Filthy loud and disgusting"

Dirty bath. Floor. Black hairs all over. Short, long, curly and straight. I have white hair. I heard through paper-thin walls--everyone's wake up calls and showers. Awful place. The staff is very nice. Free shuttle to the airport.

There is NO elevator and the only staircase is very narrow.. Lobby does not look like it has been touched in years. Rooms have very outdated furniture, bedding. carpeting. dreary looking. Bathroom has old metal foot flush toilet and the bath/shower fixture is awful. Could hardly turn water on and off and adjust water temperature. . THIS WHOLE BUILDING INSIDE NEEDS ATTENTION!! SINCE THESE ARE INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND OPERATED, THESE PROPERTY OWNER(S) MUST ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY $$$, NOT THE CONDITION THE HOTEL IS IN.

Excellent location when flying into Syracuse. Shuttle runs early in the morning (4 am) and well into the evening. Quiet and comfortable with a friendly staff. Convenient nice restaurant for evening dining and waffles for breakfast!

"prostitutes propositioned me in parking lot"

I was propositioned by two rather large black prostitutes in the parking lot upon arrival. I hadn't even checked into the hotel yet and they were asking me if I wanted some company and what my room number was. I thought this was rather rude as my wife was sitting in the front seat of our car when they were literally rubbing up against me. I believe they wanted to steal my wallet so that's when I summoned an employee from the hotel by the name of Scott [-]. He acted as if he knew these two ladies and invited them into the hotel bar for some drinks. Being near the airport I can only deduce that this hotel caters to "working ladies" and that's how they fill their rooms and keep their employees paid. I moved on to a holiday inn near Liverpool and enjoyed my stay there. Will advise my company to stop booking at this hotel for future employee endeavors.

The only airport hotel I've encountered that is a 3-4 minute walk from the terminal, across the parking lot. (There is a van, but who needs it?) There are a lot of food choices at the free breakfast, to the point that one hardly needs a lunch.

"Convenient Location"

This hotel is right by the airport and offers a shuttle service so when you need to catch a flight, it is the place to stay. The room was spacious and the price is very reasonable. It is also very close to the Destiny USA Mall which was great!

Great place to stay for an early flight! Comfortable rooms! Breakfast was nice and ready at 4am for early flights. Shuttle service to the airport is nice. We stay there anytime we have an early flight out of Syracuse Airport.

"Disappointed in syracuse."

No elevator. Ran out of beer. Credit card machine did not work. Overall very dissatisfied. If hancock wants to be in the big leagues they must get a much more updated hotel. Very surprised a best western or the airport would not upgrade.

"A tired property but more than adeqaute"

The property is somewhat dated, particularly the bathrooms and the hallways. It was less than impressive when the clerk who greeted us has a pen perched on his ear. The property is barely a 3 Star, but given its access to RT. 81 and the fact that here are food, both dinner and breakfast facilities available it is more than adequate.

"room had been smoked in"

Thought it would be a good idea to have a room for the night before an EARLY flight out. We noticed the smell of cigarette smoke upon entering our room and had told the front desk. The comment was: "there should be no smoking in the rooms" :{ When we booked our room we got the package with a queen bed and to leave our vehicle parked there while on vacation. We were told we had to leave our keys with them in case they had to move it. (FOR WHAT REASON?) I don't know how you could have found your way around the parking lot because there were NO LIGHTS at all. We decided NOT to leave our vehicle there after all and chose the airport parking where we didn't have to leave our keys with a stranger!!! Not impressed!!!

Each and every time I stay I can count on the great service and clean room it is easier for me to stay at the hotel the night before my flight because I live over a hour way. Do not have to worry about the weather driving up and I know I will be on time and rested. A lot of people have told me the same thing your hotel takes a lot of stress off people knowing that you have clean rooms your food is great and we can count on being to the airport on time.

"Good stop over"

Front desk staff were cheerful and professional. Close enough to walk to the airport. Breakfast was a disappointment compared to other Best Westerns we have visited. We were there early but there was not much put out. When I asked for an apple the person in charge of the breakfast told me their apples come from Mexico and are poor quality this time of year. Funny the other BWs do not have that problem.

"excellent airport hotel"

Our family of 5 arrived in the evening, the staff was super kind and helpful, showed us where to leave our car for duration of our trip and provided us with a room upgrade free of charge the suite was perfect for a family of 3 kids, allowed us all to sleep better before our 4 am wakeup. They offered us a wakeup call which we received. Brought kids down for breakfast at 430 and took the free shuttle at 445 we were in the airport check in at 450. Coming back the shuttle brought us back to the hotel where I waited with the kids while hubby cleared the car of snow. So convenient, would definitely stay here when flying out syracuse.

"Great Staff Makes for A Great Stay!"

Took a trip to the Adirondacks on a cold March weekend, arriving near midnight at the Syracuse airport. We could not pick up our car until the following morning. We called the Best Western Airport Hotel and their shuttle came to pick us up at 11:55 PM. That was huge. Heather was ready and waiting for us and was a real pleasure, finding us the perfect room on the first floor. The room was smallish but the bed was superior. We actually got a good night's comfortable sleep, something we rarely do when traveling - big bonus points for that. The staff was so helpful in taking us back to the airport the next morning to pick up our rental car, answering our questions, signing us up for BW perks, even supplying a replacement toothbrush. Curt, Brendan, Sofia and Melissa all went out of their way to be helpful. The hot breakfast included great maple bacon and Greek yogurt. We will stay again before our 7am flight out next week. If you're flying in and out of Syracuse, this is a great option. A great staff like this one really makes a difference between a forgettable stay and one you want to repeat. We'll be back.

"Great in Syracuse"

What's to say? Stayed here twice in 30 days. Each stay was a pleasure and breakfast was very good. Heather (desk clerk) was very pleasant and helpful. First time there I had lost a piece of luggage. Called airport L&F who had it. Heather asked if she could run me over.

"Very nice hotel"

We made last minute reservations to stay at this hotel and must admit that although it's name is the "BW Syracuse Airport Inn", we were surprised at how close it is to the airport. It is literally between the control tower and the runways. Having said that, we only heard planes a couple of times the two nights were we there. We stayed in the suite on the second floor and couldn't believe how huge the rooms were. It was a great place to stay. The hotel is an older hotel but it's been updated. The bed was very comfy. The staff that welcomed us and that were there over the two days were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good...scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, waffles, fruit and muffins. One "down-side" is that the hotel doesn't have an elevator. It wasn't a problem for us but may be for some people. We're glad we stayed and would definitely stay again.

Returning from a ski vacation in Austria (10 hour flight) then return a return flight from Dulles (Washington DC) back home to Buffalo New York was grounded in Syracuse because of a snowstorm. The Best Western Syracuse Airport staff picked us up in the hotel shuttle and whisked us to our haven of refuge. I cannot say enough about the kindness, courtesy and efficiency extended to us by staff members Curt, Heather and Mary. The hotel and rooms are a bit dated, however our room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. So thankful to tumble into a warm, comfortable bed at the end of an exhausting day of travel. Breakfast is included, simple fare with plenty of coffee to get us up and started for a hotel shuttle ride back to the airport to rent a car to FINALLY get home to Buffalo.

"Excellent Customer Service"

Recently stayed at this hotel.....due to unfortunate illness had to leave a vehicle there much longer than expected. Staff were extremely courteous, and compassionate. Besides being convenient to the airport, very clean, and good breakfast, this kind of customer service is rare and greatly appreciated. Staff went well beyond expectations.

"Convenient"

Very convenient hotel if you have an early morning flight. Shuttle service is every 6 minutes. Free breakfast buffet starts at 4:00am. Rooms are a decent size, beds are comfortable, bathrooms not so great. No security bolts in the sleeping rooms, which is disturbing.

"Great for red eye flights"

We booked this hotel because we had a flight that left at 5:55 AM and were in no mood to be driving through city traffic at 4 AM to get to the airport. This place is literally at the airport. It's about a quarter-mile from the terminal. The room was nice and clean, neither particularly new nor particularly old. We got the hotel coupon rate and were very pleased. The restaurant is not much to write home about. It operates out of the same area where you have your breakfast. I would not go there on a date but it was perfectly adequate for dinner if you didn't feel like driving around a strange city at night. We got hamburger patty melts, which were quite good and french fries which were awesome. They were real, non-frozen french fries! They serve breakfast at 4 AM! And they have a shuttle at 4 AM! Breakfast had everything a reasonable person could want: Bagels, toast, peanut butter, yogurt, fruit, waffles, sausage, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice, mini muffins and danishes. The staff were very friendly and cooperative. I would definitely stay there again if I had an early or a late flight.

"Just need to be close to airport"

This best Western Airport in has been around for a long time and it shows it's age. It has second floor access, by stairs only, witch makes luggage difficult . The walls are thin, as you can hear the person on the other side snoring ! The bed was comfortable, room clean, service good. Try getting a room on 1st floor, toward the back of hotel for a quiet night!

Besides the smell of old cigarettes and mold...well, no it's still gross. Awful hotel. I had an early morning flight and figured it'd be great because it's literally right next to the airport. Please just keep driving. Run down, out of date and not worth the $3 it would've taken to drive to a Holiday Inn or Hampton. The owners need to light a match and cut their losses. Seriously if this is your place,you should be ashamed.

"Good place to stay when flying out in the AM"

I selected this hotel because it is very very close to the airport. The room was ok, kind of old. The mattress was surprisingly firm. We ate at the restaurant. The food was good- like bar food. Decent breakfast included in the price of the hotel. (Even waffle, eggs and sausage). But so close to the airport- its worth it.

You can't get accommodations any closer to an airport. The rooms are outdated but clean. The staff was friendly and they have loyal guests so that says something as well. I met a few couples who were traveling through and preferred to stay here for the food and convenience.

Went shopping for the weekend, was the only hotel available that was anywhere close to reasonable. To start th carpets were very dirty, could use a cleaning. the rooms were paper thin, could here everything. In future when returning to shop will pass on this hotel

"There When I Needed Then"

My first night was a scheduled one as I was to return home the next day. However, after sitting in the Syracuse Airport from 10 AM until 8 PM, I realized I would not be leaving that day. I called Best Western and they were ready to accommodate me for my second night there! I met some nice people in the lounge, joined them for a drink and the night turned out to be a lot of fun!

If you are coming from a distance and have an early morning flight from Syracuse airport, this is the place to stay. Shuttle service starts at 4:40, and the drivers are polite and helpful. Breakfast available. Restaurant on site, with average quality food.

"Convenient stay before flight"

Due to weather, our flight was cancelled, and we were sent to the Best Western next to the airport with a discounted rate. Best Western provided a shuttle to pick us up at the airport, and advised us there would be one in the morning to take us back to the airport – starting at 4:15 AM on a first-come first-served basis. We needed to be at the airport by 4:30, so we were advised to come to the lobby by 3:45 AM to make sure to have a place on one of the first shuttles. We were thrilled to learn that they begin serving breakfast at 4:00 AM – so we were able to grab a bite to eat before heading out on the shuttle. There were hot and cold items available on the breakfast buffet – and it was much appreciated! Our room was clean; the beds were typical for a hotel – firm mattress. Housekeeping had folded a towel into a bunny, which was just a nice little welcome. We noted that the TV remote had been sanitized. The walls between the rooms were thin – we could hear our neighbors' conversations very clearly. After they fell asleep, it was quiet – even though we were next to the airport, we didn't hear the airplanes. Overall our stay was enjoyable, and allowed us to get some much-needed rest before our early-morning flight.

"Don't let the name fool you"

The worst Best Western I've ever stayed in (by far). Room had a horrible smell. Needs a remodel: Old and dusty. Bed and bedding not comfortable. Only a few rooms have fridges. 1st shuttle leaves at 4:15 and you have to get to the lobby well before 4 to get on the first one. (Tip: you can just walk to the terminal in 5 minutes). No bedside outlet for your phone charger. Tiniest room I've ever stayed in on the US.

"Disappointing stay"

Conveniently located near the airport. Was disappointed with check-in and check out service (from same employee) but assistant manager was more than friendly in communicating the process of applying the promotional discounts. Breakfast bar was fantastic. Restaurant conveniently located in hotel. Had a nice outside pool. Bed was too soft and had seen better days. Room was huge and comfortable.

"Avoid if you can"

The only thing this place has going for it is its location.. the only hotel at the airport. Tired, old, bad decor and staff to match. The room furnishings could be described as "early plywood". Bad paint job, dirty carpet. Ick!

"Hurricane Matthew"

On 10/06/16 I reserved a room at airport because I had a 6:00 a.m. flight out the next morning and it takes 2 mins to get the airport. By the time I inquired on 10/06/16 of the likelihood I would be able to land in Daytona Beach due to Hurricane Matthew the next morning, I had a choice - stay overnight in Atlanta or stay in Syracuse until I got out on 10/08/26 at 2:15 p.m. I opted for Syracuse. Upon check in they increased the additional night by $38 because of a "special event dirt race" which they expected would fill the hotel. By my calculation they neither filled the hotel nor did this great crowd of people show up. Also, I asked if I could extend the check-out time of 11:00 a.m. on 10/08/26 to 12:30 p.m. because my flight would not leave until 2:15 p.m. The front desk clerk was unwilling to commit to the late check-out at check-in and advised to ask again Saturday a.m. I did and was advised they could only extend to 12:00 p.m. but I was called and asked at 11:15 a.m. if I was staying another day and I had to remind them they said I could stay until 12 p.m. Hotel is old, run down, smells and beds are uncomfortable with bedding that slips and slides all over the place to the point where I had to remake the bed and tuck in sheets before I could re-enter after getting up. The male front desk person who checked me in had the personality of a turnip but Sophie, who extended my check-out and then drove me to airport was very personable.

"easy airport shuttle"

Hotel was clean, food was good and the shuttle to the airport was right on time. Front desk helped me save an hour of sleep by recommending I not get there prior to TSA opening! Airline said 3 hours prior ....well 1 1/2 was just fine!

"There is no elevator"

When I last stayed at this airport inn, I must have had light baggage because I didn't notice the absence of an elevator. But this time--given that indeed there is no elevator--I had a terrible time trying to drag my suitcase (on wheels) up the stairs. In fact, I injured my ankle in the process. It was almost (but not quite) as bad going down the stairs in the morning. I can't imagine why an airport inn catering to guests who might have heavy luggage does not have an elevator. As before, my room was very nicely appointed, quiet, with good internet service. I do have a complaint about the bathroom however. The one grab bar was suitable for someone taking a bath (i.e., was placed quite low) but not at all useful for someone taking a shower. Do people really take baths in motels? My advice: If you plan to stay at this inn, get a room on the first floor or take only very light luggage.

"Served Its Purpose"

This hotel doesn't offer much but then I wasn't expecting much. It's an airport hotel in Syracuse, NY. It's very convenient if flying out early the next day and you can grab a drink at the small lounge if you want. My flight left at 5am so I did not get to try breakfast.

"Old, tired, and musty"

I have stayed here on several occasions due to the airport location. This hotel is definitely not my favorite place to stay. It is old, the furnishings are terribly outdated, and the entire place looks tired. Our room had a musty odor. The breakfast area is depressing and was not clean. Food was typical free breakfast fare. Front desk personnel also drove the shuttle and seemed inconvenienced to do so.

"staying here is exhausting"

The lobby looks OK, but as soon as one enters a hallway, the flight instinct kicks in. The carpet and the color of the walls might look good in other lighting, but add light from those horrible CFL bulbs and the combination makes everything look shabby and depressing. I wanted to leave right away. The walls are thin. One can hear the TV and the conversations in the adjacent rooms. In my room, there was no way to shut off the fan. The buttons simply didn't work. The heater turned on and off regularly. I figured that if it was going to blow air, it might as well blow warm air because the room was quite cold. There was no way to do that either. Result: it was a cold and restless night. The heater woke me up 10+ times. Breakfast: This is another hotel that trashes the planet. Everything in the breakfast area is single-use / disposable. No real mugs, silverware, cups, or plates. Bags and bags of trash every day. Then there is the attitude problem at the front desk. One of the women working there clearly prefers arguing over problem solving. After waiting 15 minutes, I just wanted to get out of there and on my way. Instead of organizing the shuttle service, I had to hear, "But you said..." argue argue argue. There were 2 good things about this hotel. 1) It is close to the airport. 2) The airline paid for it. I would never pay to stay here.

"Beautiful pool and gardens"

My daughter wanted a hotel with a pool so we picked this since it had an outdoor pool. The hotel itself is not very interesting -- old, though clean and new carpets. But pool was lovely and the surrounding gardens are spectacular -- clearly a labor of love. Particularly nice since the hotel is built in a pentagon shape, so the pool area is completely enclosed. You have no sense of being near an airport. I've stayed in much fancier places that didn't have such a pretty and relaxing pool area. Pool season is over now of course, but would highly recommend in season. Staff also very sweet and helpful. Breakfast good.

"Tired"

This hotel is tired and out of date. It would appear that they have not updated the hotel, particularly the guest rooms, since they built the hotel which I would guess was 40-50 years ago. The bathroom in our room had standing water in the main sink. The sheets looked and felt old and thin. The booth we sat in for breakfast had a 3x4 inch gash in the seat and the wood table tops were sticky as if the vanish has long been worn off. We picked this hotel because it is the closest hotel to the airport terminal and I can leave the car, for a price, and they shuttle you to and from the hotel. Well that is partially true. Tonight when we returned at 12:59 PM,on schedule, we retrieved our luggage and called the hotel. But this hotel, unlike the other nearby hotels, did not have a driver on duty. They told me to walk or take a cab. It is doubtful I will return to this Best Western any time soon. The other hotels close by are new, and priced competitively.

"Relaxing Site Whether You Are Flying Or Driving"

We didn't need to stay near the airport, but it was convenient to our route. The hotel is nice. The room was clean. The bathroom is a bit small, but very well designed. The housekeeping person must have worked in the cruise industry as we had a towel animal to greet us on our bed. We don't usually eat at the hotel we are staying at, but we were tired and it was convenient to do so here. They have a small dining area that doubles as the breakfast space in the morning. It could use some decorating as it is dark and quite unattractive. The food was good. Despite it being very close to the airport, we detected no plane noise in our room. The soda machine was not working. Breakfast was pretty standard. The hotel is easily accessible.

Recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be near the airport. We've stayed there before and was glad to see they finally got a new passenger van. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are super clean and overall, is worth the money.

"Perfect for early flight"

We only stayed here because we had a 5:45am flight. It was alright for a night but I would not stay for any longer. The rooms are older and need updating. It was fairly clean but nothing above and beyond. The two things that we found great were the free airport shuttle started at 4:15am and the free breakfast started at 4am. Perfect for the early flights. One thing to remember is everyone who is staying here is doing the same thing you are-catching a flight-so make sure you arrive downstairs 10-15 min early for the shuttle if you want to go first. Our van was full immediately and the driver had people waiting for him to do the turn-around even at 4am! The good thing is the round trip takes no time since this hotel is in the outskirts of the airport parking lot. The free hot breakfast looked ok but we didn't have time to eat. We grabbed a couple of yogurts and were on our way. The location and ease of getting to the airport gets 5 stars for sure!

"Convenient Syracuse stay"

Needed to attend event in Binghamton, NY. Had to make last minute flight and hotel arrangements. Flew from San Francisco, CA to Syracuse, NY, rented a car and drove to Binghamton. Return flight from Syracuse was in the morning, so rather than drive up the day of, decided to take advantage of the convenience of this hotel with its proximity to the airport.

The room itself is very standard - a bed, a tv and a chair ( at least I think there was a chair). We only stayed for one night do we didn't get a chance to use the pool or any other amenities but the location was great for us as we wanted to go to the mall (formerly the Carousel center) and we also needed to get to the Greyhound station. Both were close, easy drives.

"Only exists because of the airport"

Poor quality hotel. Would not survive/be able to charge high rates if it weren't right next to the airport. Many other hotels in the area that have shuttles, stay at one of those. Bed is fine to sleep in but rooms are dingy and tiny.

Beautiful flowers and outdoor pool area. Very helpful staff. Small bathroom (shower, toilet and sink) but there was a sink outside the bathroom so that was helpful. Convenient location to airport and yet I was not disturbed with airport noise.

The staff are really nice. Breakfast buffet from 4-10 so convenient. Things to improve: the bed is very lumpy woke up with backaches. The plumping make a growling noise like a dinosaur when the water is being turned on. Other than that the room is spacious.

"I was there and charged me no show! They charge me twice I did not want to credit the charge"

It is the worst experience I ever had! I was to the restaurant and order a glass of hot milk and they told me they did not have a way to warm up the milk, can you imagine that! I show up at front desk, identify myself and got a room! next morning checked out to grab my plane. When got my credit card report they charged me twice! when I asked they told me I did not show up! OBVIOUSLy I did, but the guy at the front desk gave me another room instead of my reservation! Can you imagine! And the worst! when asked the manager he was completely narrow minded! I will never ever use again a worst western hotel, rather sleep at the airport.

"Dated Hotel with poor customer service"

We stayed here as a park/fly hotel for a family vacation to Mexico. We checked in on a Friday night and were given first floor rooms. We left our car keys with the front desk with our return flight information. The first shuttle of the morning doesn't leave until 4:15 AM which cuts it close for large traveling groups or people with international flights. On return flight we called to confirm the shuttle service back to the hotel from the airport , we were told we need to be back by midnight because they don't guarantee the shuttle after midnight. We did get the shuttle after numerous phone calls back and forth since Mary couldn't find us ( 4 kids and 4 adults ) standing in the rain with 10 suitcases. We loaded the shuttle ourselves and on the way back to the hotel; Mary hands us our car keys. I tell her we have hotel rooms for the night and she said she hopes we have guaranteed reservations because the hotel is completely booked for the night. We get to the front desk and start to check in . My husband grabs a baggage cart and starts loading our suitcases, The desk clerk giggles and says that the baggage cart won't help us because we have 2nd floor room and there are NO ELEVATORS! I asked if there were any first floor rooms available , Melissa says her "tip" for me is the next time I should request a first floor room. Seriously ? Once we got all settled at about 12:30AM we went to get ice from the ice maker and the ice maker on the second floor was shut off. We had to go back downstairs to the end of the first floor hallway to get ice. The front desk did not even offer to fill it from the restaurant for us. We put our do not disturb sign out but were still awakened at 8:30an by housekeeping knocking on the door.

"Aging slowly but surely"

Classic 1970's Best Western low rise hotel at airport. Lots of things to like - park and fly; breakfast - free starting at 4 am; good sized rooms; friendly staff; beautiful pool courtyard; TV options much better than expected Issues: low wattage lights in rooms make rooms appear dark. Washrooms that would fit into a subcompact car with room to spare. Blackout curtains have seen better days - year they shrink! Decor update is about 20 years overdue. Physical plant is slowly deteriorating with stains on walls and pipes hidden but obvious. A place full of good folks that needs a liberal renovation and repair budget to bring it into this century. But if you can live with it, and I can, it is a nice place to stay in a city with somewhat limited airport options.

"Just right for overnight"

Stayed there on trip thru town. Just needed one night to get off the road and get some sleep. Had room reserved ahead, and when arrived staff was very helpful in getting us checked in. Night clerk was very helpful in guiding us how best to park our pickup and trailer. Road access is great for larger vehicles, tho admit if had not known the place was there by using google.earth, I would have given up on driving jnto the airport access road. This hotel is wornand dated, but staff was great. Breakfast in am was a buffet style Nd as good as any basic hotel breakfast might be.pleasing to us for starting our next phase of our across the country trip. Glad we chose this one.

"Poor service and lack of maintenance"

Service was poor and unaccommodating Could not provide a first floor room to wife and myself even after being informed that wife has great deal of problem with stairs. Hallway fire doors were all wedged open and one exit was blocked by shrubs outside the building.

"Dirty, poor AC..ick!"

I was just exhausted or I would have loaded the car and gone elsewhere. I found a little "present" in the toilet that wouldn't flush down, a grimy counter top next to the unexpectedly unplugged microwave (perhaps broken?), and an uncleaned stain on the mini dining table adjacent the bed. I wiped down everything I'd touch with Lysol wipes and called it a night. In their defence, I'd requested a ground floor room as they have no elevator and the desk clerk tried to sell me on going upstairs but I hate dragging my stuff up stairs...maybe the rooms there are better?

"SYR Old and Only Airport Hotel"

This is a very convenient, yet old and tired, airport hotel. Nothing has been upgraded inn the past 20 years; or so it appears. The location and price were very good. There is no elevator, which might have been OK in the 70's, but we were very surprised in 2016. The restaurant was closed when we arrived; but the bar/lounge was serving some food and the usual beverages. We would stay here only because of it's location when arriving late in the evening.

"Convenient"

The Best Western is the closest hotel to the airport. Checked in at 2 am without a reservation due to several delays and rerouting. The front desk agent was most pleasant and offered assistance with my bags. It is an older property, but well maintained. The courtyard around the pool area is surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. The complimentary breakfast is well stocked, there is something for all to get you going. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. If need be, I would chose this hotel again.

"nice place to stay"

my grandson and I spent 4 nites here. The building is clean and well maintained, comfy beds and extra fluffy not-flat pillows. Nice pool and great quick breakfast options. We saw the same young woman on the housekeeping staff everyday and she's friendly and sure works hard ( I wish I had asked her name). The only complaint I have is that the internet did not work on my7 yr old grandsons tablet in the room and barely worked in the lobby, resulting in him being bored without his Minecraft fix. We'd stay here again for the convenience of being close to many eating options and major highways.

Stayed here upon arrival and when we departed Syracuse. They have a convenient hot breakfast available for early morning travelers. Rooms are comfortable, nothing fancy, clean, and adequate. The shuttle service was very good. Perfect if your plane arrives late or leaves early.

"Nicely Adequate "

If you just need a room overnight, then this hotel is fine. Anything longer than a sleep before heading to the airport, which is about half a mile away, and you may be disappointed. Some pluses are: The pool is nice - goes to 9 feet deep, the breakfast starts at 4 am and goes til 10am which is very convienent. However, the room wasn't the cleanest and there was no maid service between our two night stay. Also, there is not a fitness center at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful at check in.

Hello 1982! Your hotel is calling - seriously, it seems that could be the approximated date of their last remodel. A seriously outdated hotel: old fixtures, cobwebs in my room, dusty carpet... I could go on, but you get the idea. Oh, and really small rooms. Every.thing about this building reeks of the 60s (I was being generous with that 1982 date). The exterior doesn't look like it's ever been updated since being built. On the plus side, the staff was OK, and being within walking distance of the airport (hotel is on airport property) is convenenient. Otherwise, save yourself the aggravation and stay somewhere else. Oh, and just remembered: I couldn't get the wifi to work either.

"Close to the airport for those late night flights."

Our flight got in at 12:45 am and this was really the only option we had. Walked to the hotel (shuttle stops running at midnight) after we got our bags and checked in. The rooms are a bit dated and the air is a little difficult to control. The breakfast is not bad and nice to have since there are no other options close by. Wifi is not that great.

"Where are the airplanes?"

I have stayed in this hotel five times over the past year. The service is always excellent, beds comfortable and clean, easy breakfast room with early opening hours for those first morning flights. There is pride showing in the maintenance of the outside grounds, flowers blooming everywhere in the spring through fall months, and a beautiful pool. My only question is: Being situated so close to the airport runways, how is it that you never hear the planes?

"Too expensive for the room"

Attending an event in Syracuse we found out quickly that most of the hotels in the area were booked since it was the Graduation weekend for Syracuse University. Of course that would mean they were able to "jack up" the rate". We found out our rate had been increased close to 100% and it was definitely not worth it. The hotel is old and you can see it everywhere. The room was clean, but the bathtub was super slippery, a person in our party slipped and hurt herself. When that happened she grabbed for the shower curtain and the rod came out of the wall. One good thing was that maintenance arrived fairly quickly to repair this. If the rate for this hotel had been what it typically was I would not have complained, but to increase the rate so much...it was not worth the money at all.

"Overnight for early flight"

This hotel is outdated, it looks like there have been no improvements in 20 years. The staff appear to need a lot of training, although I'd made a reservations weeks in advance w/ the same clerk they messed it up on arrival which cost time checking in. I would have expected they were ready for us considering we showed at 7PM. The only reason I stayed here was because of an early flight & it's walking distance to hotel but I'll seek another option next time.

"Worst Hotel Ever"

This all really happened. Our stay at the Best Western Syracuse has been very disappointing. We have been here since July 7th, and leaving tomorrow July 12th. We have several complaints, though our main difficulty is regarding room service. We only had one day where we had our beds changed and had a housekeeper tend to our room. Every night, we returned to our room only to discover the room untouched. The front desk would tell us that we put our “Do Not Disturb” sign on the doorknob (they told us this for three nights). We NEVER put that sign up. Not sure if the front desk is making excuses or house cleaning at this hotel has poor management. We are people who typically only requests new towels, though due to their unusually cumbersome bedding, we would always wake up with the fitted sheets peeled off; no matter how you slept. All 5 of us experienced the same thing with each of our beds. There is no comforter, just two top sheet with a very thin fleece blanket in-between. Other things: our telephone did not work, our clock kept alarming at midnight EVERY night (until we finally just unplugged the clock on our third night). There is free Wi-fi, however the internet session ends every 15 minutes. So you have to continually you have to rejoin the network. Can get old after time. A family member also staying in this same hotel experienced difficulties her stay. Her main complaint was regarding the shower and only having three streams of water from the shower head. We would have left earlier, but due to the process of arranging a funeral for our beloved mother, there are bigger problems to deal with. Also to note, there is poor insulation. You can hear absolutely everything from your neighbors. Currently listening to my neighbor coughing. From conversations, to the toilet flushing, to their snoring. Just know that if you stay here, everyone is listening (and your room will never be cleaned).

This wasnt tghe hotel i booked, but when the hotel i did book called saying the pool was downfor two weeks.. had to book quick... Suprized it was right in the air port. Thought wow this is going to be bad.. but not at all.. close to 81. Easy to get to mall , Zoo places to eat and shop close.. Took our grand children on a vacation they loved the pool the staff... Noting that he hotel in right on the grounds of the airport, it's appeal (based on location) is very specific. Lobby is nice and clean. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, and free breakfast buffet. Nice, large outdoor pool. Rooms very very spacious and clean, with huge closets. Towel animals welcomed us on the bed. Cute touch for this type of hotel.

Our family of 4 stayed here one night in prep for a 6am flight the next morning. The pro's include the frequent free shuttle to the airport and long-term parking that is cheaper than the airport's, but in general we felt the hotel was very dated in decor/updates and not as clean as we would have liked for the price we paid. They do offer a free continental breakfast which opens at 4am- perfect for those headed out for early flights. We were not able to try out the pool.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights as we were visiting Syracuse. The continental breakfast is great and the man that works there is very nice. The front staff were quick upon arriving and friendly. I had left something in the hotel after we left the country and as soon as I called they had shipped it to me. I really appreciated that considering it was very valuable to me. I will definitely stay at Best western again especially because the great and friendly service!

Nice looking and clean rooms, lobby a bit dated and shabby looking, the shuttle service is also poor and you wait for 2 -3 returns as the bus is very small. Staff does not care, are slow and a bit rude overall. I guess you get what you pay for with this aspect. Close to airport, I had to walk back from car return as driver was "busy".

Reserved and paid months in advance, called to inform I'd arrive late with a kid and, regardless, they put us on the 2nd floor of the building with no elevators available. After dragging the luggage upstairs, we got to the room and found out the AC did not work properly. Called Front Desk and they informed of "tricks" to make it work. Apparently this is better than maintaining it properly... Even with the "tricks" AC still does not function as it is supposed to. Called Front Desk again and they said they could not do anything because they did not have another room and I booked through a 3rd party (how and why is this relevant?!). I have no second thoughts when I say this hotel should not be in business and certainly do not recommend to anyone.

We had a problem with slugs (snails without shells: bugs) on the walls of our room. Clearly, we could not sleep in that room. We went to the front desk and, right away, they gave us a different room. I wish, based on the creepy factor, that they had given us a break on the room rate, but I didn't ask so, my bad. The second room was fine, but we still checked for critters. We chose this hotel based on its location to the SYR airport - for that we give it 4 thumbs up!

"Extremely close to the airport, but..."

The staff was kind, and helpful. The hotel, and room, were clean. But... the hotel and room were severely outdated. The bed, though clean, was mediocre in comfort and a bit squeaky / rickety. The AC unit was noisy and not very efficient. The bathroom was oddly cramped, and awkward to use. The room does not have enough electrical outlets to charge a phone and a laptop without unplugging lamps, the clock or a TV. For the same price, and only 1/4 mile further away, there is a much more updated hotel competitor which I have used before and will probably use going forward.

I needed a place to stay at the airport, and didn't want to rent a car until the next morning. This hotel is walking distance from the terminal - and yet it was quiet and peaceful. The building and decor is a bit tired, but good enough.

Hotel is older and furnishings are dated, but clean. Building is built in pentagon shape and my room was on a "corner" so very oddly shaped. Room was very large and overlooked the pool. There were two sinks, one outside the tub/toilet area. The sink inside the tub/toilet area jutted out almost in front of the toilet! Breakfast area was large and clean. Food was typical complimentary breakfast fare. The "fried" eggs looked very unappetizing. The courtesy shuttle was readily available and took only a couple of minutes to reach the airport. Front desk personnel was friendly and helpful.

An older facility but well run and maintained. Extremely convenient. I have stayed here before and found it an easy way to lessen the burden of an early flight. I can recommend staying here and using the lot for parking the car during a trip.

Perfect place to stay if your flying. The hotel and rooms are clean and nice. I bit over priced if you want a beer however, $ 6.00. But all and all I would recommend it for sure. The ventilation system is awful/ caked debris in unit/ vents etc/ I brought in my own Windex and paper towel to clean window glass, mirrors , TV screen. Allergies kicked up. "Why do I keep going back?! Convenience."

This place is terrible, but, it is just so darn convenient. This trip we paid $230 for the privledge of staying here. No park and fly, just a basic room (with a cleverly folded towel one might find on a cruise ship). Early breakfasters can grab some quick eats before boarding the first shuttle at 4:30am, or get a grab 'n' go bag from the front desk. My biggest issue this visit was the fact that the fire doors were propped open, thus rendering them ineffective in the event of a fire. Escape would be to an enclosed interior courtyard. They have such a loyal, albeit captive audience. I just wish they would step up their game.

"Good value"

We stayed here for college graduation weekend. The place was full but it didn't feel crowded. The hotel put extra food out at the breakfast buffet and kept refilling it. The walls are paper thin so we could here lots of hall noise, but surprisingly we didn't hear much air traffic (the hotel is literally right next to the runway).

I have to say the staff here was the rudest I have seen in a long time. I had to change my dates because of a emergency and the Hotel would not let me cancel my dates and had to pay for a night I wasnt even going to be there. overall it was good for a one nights stay to wait for the flight the next day and had shuttle service to the airlines was good and you could keep your car in their lot for one day flight. so you didnt have to pay extra for parking. it was very convenient to stay but a little high for the price unless you book online. the breakfast didnt look to bad but i did not have anything but a glass of juice. the staff helped me bring my things down and get them in the car because i was having a hard time walking my knees hurt alot.

We stayed overnight before flying out of Syracuse Airport and also on our way back.. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay. The breakfast was very good. We asked for a room on the first floor and they were very accomadating.

"Not What It Used To Be"

I am in and out of Syracuse Airport all the time and stayed here many times because it was convenient but if one looks around just a bit there are much better deals that include parking your car. This place is old and getting older all the time but the prices are going up . They need to put some money into the place and try and keep the costs reasonable. I do agree that the restaurant has always been nice.

"NO SLEEP"

Water lines rattling in walls and acknowledgement by staff this this was a known problem. No offer to fix problem. People in neighboring rooms complained as well, staff seemed to not care. Would not recommend to others. Holiday Inn close by would be next choice for next trip to area.

"Close and convienent, plus parking and early breakfast before flight"

This was a great pre-flight stay over, with parking during our trip. We had to be at the airport by 5 for a flight to JFK, so rather than fight an hour plus drive, we stayed at the BW Airport. They are right at the airport, with a fast shuttle in both directions (you could walk if you really had to) With the added bonus of their low-cost parking during our trip it was a great deal. (Call hotel for package) And the best part was that their included breakfast opened at **4 AM** (or before!) - which was fantastic, as we had just time to make our connection @ JFK, and little opportunity for food on the flight to the West coast.

"A little tired but still a good bet"

We were pleasantly greeted when we arrived without a reservation. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was right out of the '60's and needs updating. That being said the real jewel is the restaurant. The server exuded local charm and was attentive without being obtrusive. I asked for the roast beef and it was nothing short of excellent. My wife asked for the pasta and she was also pleased. Very easy access off and on Route 81.

The staff here was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of, shuttle was quick and efficient. Great breakfast variety of hot and cold. Great coffee. Didn't realize they have a restaurant. Easy to get to, close to 81. Park and fly option is available.

"Nice place to stay"

It is very easy to get to and close to the airport. It has a very small bar/restaurant and they have a free breakfast that starts at 4 am. It is also very easy to get to and out of when driving. You also can leave your car there if going on a cruise or vising Disney Land.

"Shuttle is great!"

This hotel is basic and it met our needs for a flight leaving at 5:45am. The shuttle starts leaving at 4:15am and due to the fact there were many travelers needing to the get to the airport, the driver started the shuttle before 4:00am.....Great customer service. The driver is very friendly and it is only a 5 minute ride. Bari area is nice and very cozy; the food is pretty good too. The breakfast was also basic but put something in our stomachs prior to our trip. Overall a very nice experience.

"Convenient & Close to Airport"

I am very glad I chose to stay at Best Western. I had an early morning flight the next day and thanks to Best Western it was very easy to get to the airport. I parked my car at the hotel for a reasonable rate and they shuttled me to and from the airport. Breakfast also started at 4AM so I was able to grab some fruit and pastries for the plane! I will definitely stay here again.

"clean room, decent breakfast - but the staff was the best!"

We were diverted here due to weather late at night. Once the staff knew my 92-yr-old mother was not able to walk a distance unaided, they stepped up and made sure we had a room adjacent to the lobby. She was helped from the taxi, luggage was placed outside the room, and check-in was accomplished while we were seated by the front desk. Their caring attention made a bad situation much easier to bear! The room was small but clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast featured egg and sausage, which was a pleasant surprise for a budget hotel.

This is a very nice hotel that offers a good Breakfast and a free Van Shuttle to the airport that runs both early and late. Very pleased with our stay and the special services offered at this hotel. Breakfast was very good, especially the waffles, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There was surprisingly little noise from planes that kept the rooms nice and quiet.

"Adequate"

Spent a blisteringly hot night at the Inn. The facility is clean but rather worn out once you get past the lobby. We had a room at the end of the hallway so were spared some of the noise. The AC was noisy and never really reached the desired temperature, running all night. We ate supper at the in house restaurant and it was adequate. Later, we sat in the courtyard by the pool in an effort to cool down. It was well maintained with a tropical feel about it. The room appeared clean and relatively updated. The bed was adequate. Breakfast is included in your stay and it was set out timely for an early a.m. flight. They must have been very short staffed that a.m. as some young woman was trying to put out breakfast, take care of the front desk and drive the van to the airport. If you stay at the Inn, you can leave your vehicle for the duration of your absence (probably within reason), which is a huge advantage. Supposedly they will also pick you up at the airport on your return trip. The numbers we were given were out of order or someone wasn't picking up. Husband ended up walking to the Inn to get our car while I waited with our luggage. Not a big deal but could be if you were physically unable to walk or had children with you. As I've mentioned several times, our stay was adequate. One wouldn't want to plan a week's vacation here but if you have an early flight and don't want the hassle of airport parking, this should more than take care of your needs.

Excellent accommodations. "Very nice ppl but rooms bathrooms way too small"

The room was kinda dirty and there was no comforter on the bed. It was either too cold or too hot and I had to sleep in my hoodie. The ppl were very nice especially in the bar area. There was all kinds of stuff behind the furniture. The room we stayed in was not that clean for the price paid.

"Do not expect to sleep well"

I have never reviewed a hotel before, but my experience here was uniquely terrible, so here are my grievances and recommendations: 1. Upon entering the room (213), I noticed the heat was turned up to 85 and the air was very dry. I had a sore throat that got worse all night. Recommendation is to run a sink or the shower to increase the humidity, if you find your room in a similar condition. Do not expect the room to be comfortable upon arrival; it will probably be too hot and very dry. 2. Room 213 has a particularly noisy (~60 dB) heating and air conditioning unit that turns on every 5-7 minutes. One of the motors in the unit has a bad bearing that rattles in a rather annoying way. If you're a light sleeper, this can keep you awake quite effectively. Recommendation - avoid room 213. 3. The guests across the hall from us were making a ruckus louder than the HVAC unit. I left the room at half past midnight to get some salt to gargle for my throat, and one of the individuals in the other room happened to be exiting also. He asked, obliviously, "Sorry, are we keeping you up?" I replied that he was. Recommendation is to avoid this hotel if you want to avoid rude guests who don't understand that hotels, especially ones near airports, are for tired travelers who need to sleep. 4. When I asked for a customer survey card at the front desk the next morning, after sleeping for 2 hours, the receptionist looked at me like I was crazy. She told me they do not have any, but she would take my concerns to her manager. While trying to relay my concerns, she rudely tried to interrupt me and provide excuses. This staff member in particular did not seem to care about customers at all. Additionally, the cost I paid was more than what they told me it would be over the phone. Do not expect a friendly receptionist. Ultimately I would recommend not staying here if you want friendly staff or a good night of sleep.

"Terrible heating system"

If you want to stay here, make sure you turn the thermostat up to 90 degrees. That is exactly what the hotel staff told me to do while checking out and letting them know that the furnace wasn't working. Oh, and bring ear plugs since the malfunctioning furnace is so loud that you are assured a complete night of non-rest without them.

"Some good, some bad"

The checkin was flawless, lobby is clean, parking convenient, overall property is well maintained, checkout was quick and simple, very convenient to airport. The bar was unattended and had to wait for some time or bartender to show up. Bartender friendly, had to ask me how to make my drink?, beverage prices very airportesque, WOW! Breakfast was standard free breakfast (you get what you pay for :-) The restaurant was the main drawback, the food was defiantly better than McDonald's but could have been less corporate with a little effort. Prices were high for quantity and quality (surprise!), the main problems were staff oriented; first was the racial slurs which could be heard from the kitchen and the second was the waitress who was downright rude and inappropriate. She herself could keep me from returning. And she lost this hotel one rating point. NEEDS WORK

"Find another option "

Stay here prior to our early morning flight. Upon arrival found two employees smoking in front of the entrance door as I approached the door with our luggage they both stood there talking. I said excuse me as I put down my luggage to open the door. Neither felt the need to assist. The desk clearly was very helpful. Got us checked in quickly as it was late. He suggested a wake up call at 0300 in order to make our flight on time. We were also advised told our car would be started and warmed up at the hotel entrance upon our return. No elevator available as this is clearly an older hotel. The room was very small and dirty and cold the temperate was set at 50 when we walked in. While looking for an outlet to charge my phone for the night I found a cheep dollar store extension cord with all outlets being used by the lamps and clock. This is a clear NYS code violation and a fire hazard. I'm glad I set my alarm on my phone as our 3 am wake up call never came. There was hair on the walls , shower curtain and blocking the drain. The shuttle to the airport was great the driver was very helpful however the van was dirty. Upon our return a week later the shuttle was again a good option When we got back to the hotel to get our car we found it not started and warmed up as we were told but still out in the lot covered in snow. The room cost us $180 for the night and parking. My wife and I are both very disappointed with our stay. We won't stay here again. There are other chain hotels in the area with park and ride options to the airport should the need arise.

"Missed flight"

Having missed my flight in snow storm, it made sense to stay at the airport. They have everything you need, a laundry, lounge, pool, restaurant. The place was clean, they have "clean remotes" the rooms are nice, it was quiet, the staff was friendly and professional. The menu lacked gluten free options and the restaurant staff had little food allergy awareness, the front desk was very helpful in finding a place to eat.

You pay a premium to leave your car in hotel lot. Yes, it is convenient, yes there are some grab and go eats, and a shuttle, but this is perhaps the most run down hotel we've stayed in ever. There are plenty of other options in the vicinity that offer a more comfortable night's sleep, extended parking and a shuttle. We had to haul our luggage up the stairs (no elevator). Five minutes down the road you will find a cluster of newer hotels vying for your airport business. Do yourself a favor, you deserve it.

"A Good Inexpensive Overnight"

Everybody's reason for picking a hotel location is pretty personal.....location, value, close to travel route, near attractions an so on. We were not visiting Syracuse on this trip, but passing through what we believed would be a good stopping time for the day. As I searched the chain hotels and what might be nearby to eat I uncovered the Best Western at the Airport. Airport hotels are not always the least expensive and might be fraught with noise. But at $117 with taxes it seemed to be one of the better deals and it was right off the interstate tucked closely to the terminal. My low level of concern for the possibility of plane noise was quickly removed. We heard nothing from the room. And, instead of eating off property, we ate at the hotel and it was quite satisfactory.

"Good Stay"

I like this hotel, especially since it is right on the airport. Can't beat that convenience. The front desk clerk greeted us, checked us in efficiently and sent us on our way. He also called us about an hour later to check and make sure that everything was good in our room, which it was. The only thing that I don't like about the hotel is that it is a little outdated in the rooms. The room itself, where the beds are, are nice. The bathrooms are extremely outdated and need to be remodeled. Great stay otherwise.

I didn't want to complain about my room because it was cheap, close to the airport, and the staff were great.. But the bathroom had hair all over it, there was a dirty baby binky on the floor, my hair dryer was broken, and there were crumbs and garbage in various places. Room 129. ????

Stayed here overnight because of an early morning flight departure. Room was clean and there is a restaurant in the motel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.There is a free shuttle to the airport.

"Quick stay before trip"

We drove down from Ottawa for a park and fly. We arrived at about 8:00 PM to get some sleep before a 5:00 AM Jetblue flight. The room wasn't new, but it was clean and quiet. We got our wake up call, as scheduled, at 4:00 AM. Went to the breakfast room to eat and took the shuttle to the airport. We had plenty of time. As an side, we found both the airline counter staff and TSA to be both more professional and thorough yet more relaxed at the same time, than we have seen at any other US airport. What was very nice about this hotel was that when we checked-in, they took our car keys. This was great, as I always worry about losing them when we are away. What I didn't know was would happen when we got home. After our trip we arrived back at SYR and called the hotel to ask for the shuttle. They asked who were and said the shuttle would be there in 5 minutes. The shuttle was there in 3 minutes then they drove us right to our car (in the car park), the driver handed my the keys and asked "can I help you load your car?". How great is that? No nonsense of going back to the hotel lobby to wait and get our keys back...quick shuttle right to our car and the driver could not have been nicer. While the hotel was not brand new, the added service was very much appreciated and the sort of thing that would make me consider returning.

Our flight was canceled. This hotel is located right at the airport with a convenient shuttle service. Also close to the rental car section. It's a basic hotel with decent service. They have a cafe that opens for breakfast and reopens for dinner. Very nice when you're stuck without a car. Bed was comfy. Staff was pleasant. Good place for overnight stay, but not for longer stay.

"Convenience to airport its best quality"

We always stay here when we have an early flight departure, at least for the last 5 years. They are the closest to the airport terminal and have a free shuttle. Free breakfast also. The rooms and the hotel in general are clean but are sorely in need of updating.

I would not recommend this Inn to anyone flying in or out of Syracuse; unless you have no other options. If you are able to use a taxi; use another inn. The breakfast is weak; rooms are utilitarian and not the cleanest.

I have stayed here a couple of times, as I have had to catch early morning flights the following day. The rooms are great, although the hallways still have the smell of old cigarettes sometimes. Being right next to the airport, the rooms are adequately soundproofed; I cannot remember a landing or departing jet waking me. That said, the beds are awesome, and the rooms spacious. But the food is what surprised me. I restaurant has a great selection, and I have not had a bad meal there. Add the fact that they serve Guinness, and you have a perfect place to dine! Breakfast is also excellent, and starts at 4am. That gave me plenty of time to get up, eat, check out, and then travel the few hundred yards to the airport. The hotel has a van that can take you if you have lots of luggage, although generally I just drive over to the parking lot and leave my car there. The staff are super friendly, and definitely go the extra mile to make sure that you have a restful stay, be it overnight, or longer.

"Super Close to the Airport - Late night Shuttle, Efficient Staff is KEY!"

I arrived into the Syracuse airport at 11:00pm on a Saturday night. Once i collected my luggage, I called Best Western and within 5 minutes, a shuttle van appeared! I was nestled in to my very comfy bed by midnight after a fast checkin. The hotel is clean, rooms a tad small but comfortable and was exactly what I needed after a long day of flying. I had trouble accessing the internet in my room, however after a breakfast of hot waffles and sausage (included) the front desk staff went through all the steps to get me connected to someone at the cable company who could get my Apple laptop connected to the internet. I was denied a later check out time (the cleaning crew wanted to be done by noon - it was a Sunday so I couldn't blame them) but I was then whisked back to the airport to collect my rental car by the hotel shuttle. I would use Best Western again for any Syracuse travel!

"Best Hotel When You Fly From Syracuse"

I always book this hotel when I have to fly out of Syracuse. The staff are always amazing, they actually suggested an earlier wake up call time this trip due to them knowing about the longer wait times at the airport next door and it was a good thing they did or I might have missed my flight! Always fantastic because you can leave your car there. They take care of your keys so you never worry about losing them when you travel and then as soon as you are off the plane the shuttle is there waiting to take you back to the hotel and your car. You leave your flight time with them and they are always there waiting for you to pick you up. So easy!

"A long weekend to visit family"

A pleasant and comfortable hotel. It was very busy the weekend we were there so had to wait quite a while at the airport for the shuttle to arrive. Breakfast was absolutely chaotic and had to wait both Saturday and Sunday for food to be topped up. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

This hotel will work for anyone its is clean and I did not have any problems with anything. I will stay there next time I am in Syracuse. Its just a short walk to the hotel from the airport but they also have very good shuttle service. I recommend that you stay there. For the price you pay its well worth it. The staff was very accommodating. We decided last minute to book a room when our flight came in late on our return trip. We stayed the night before our trip and decided then to book so we didn't have to drive home so late.. The young man booked us a room with a reasonable rate. He picked us up at the airport as well. "Dated hotel"

Common areas and room were very dated. Had a little bar with a couple good beers on tap and there was free breakfast with waffles in the AM. We were booked here through a softball tournament's travel company, so really had no choice. All things considered, wouldn't stay here again for the price.

"So Underwhelmed"

From first glance, when you drive into the hotel parking lot, this hotel is clearly very old. When I walked into the lobby there were leaves ALL OVER the lobby floor. Have any of the employees heard of a broom? There is no elevator at the hotel, instead they have a rickety set of stairs covered in dull, stained, putrid green carpet. Yay, seeing the staircase gave me all kinds of thoughts of what my room may look like. I walked into my room, #205, and the bed sagged in the center. I was so tired, all I wanted to do was get comfortable and sleep because I had another 5am flight in the morning. Well, I tossed & turned all night on that lovely (sarcasm) bed. I could have spent the same amount of money or less to stay at the Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Suites down the road. I would never stay at the Best Western again if I were back at Syracuse Hancock airport. The Best Western is old, unclean, rooms are terribly small, beds are uncomfortable, and the staff that I encountered were less than helpful.

"Even at bargain prices, it's overpriced"

Walked in. Asked for room rate for standard queen bed room. With AAA discount, was quoted US $150 for the night. At counter, used smartphone to access hotels.com. was quoted CDN $124. Hotel clerk says: "Well, that makes sense. Book directly with us and you save because of the exchange rate." Kid you not! He got it backwards. US dollar is worth more than the Canadian dollar, at this time! Therefore, the US dollar amount should be less than the Canadian dollar amount. Score on staff helpfulness - 0/10. The place, although just ok, needs a good clean up, not from housekeeping but from building maintenance. The room was OK but very small - so small that when I got out of bed, in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I hit the bridge of my nose against the sink counter in the bathroom as I squatted down to do my business. The bridge of my nose bled. I teach for a living. Now, I have a scar right in the middle of my face for the next week! In addition, the heating system turned on and off at least a dozen times thought the night. The noise kept me from getting a proper night's sleep. Score for accommodations: 3/10 Free breakfast buffet consists of mass production waffle batter that you cook yourself, 4 tpes of cereal containing plenty of sugar, ho-hum drip coffee, and small danishes. Only healthy items are single-serving yogurt cups and a little fresh fruit. There is no gym at this facility even though it is the only hotel at the airport. This is just a larger version of a Motel 6.

My husband and I stayed here to catch an early morning flight out of Syracuse. This is our third time staying here. It's quiet, you do not hear planes. Our room faced the street and noise didn't bother us. The facility is clean and staff friendly. We will continue to stay here whenever we need to fly out early, you can't beat the convenience.

"Perfect for an early morning flight"

I mean, seriously, the terminal is less than 5 minutes from the parking lot of the hotel. With their shuttle service, this is the ideal place to stay before an early morning flight or to crash when you get in late. It should be noted the planes are taking off within view of many of the rooms, so noise can be an issue. But other than that - Everything was clean. The staff was helpful. Overall, a great place!

We spent 1 night at this hotel on two different occasions while traveling. The hotel is clean, comfortable and suits the purpose fine. This hotel provided transportation to and from the airport terminal. The long-term parking was free. My wife and I were very satisfied with the service provided.

"Convenient Location"

I was happy to stay right at the Syracuse Airport at a reasonable price without having to drive in the middle of the night for an early flight. Plus they will shuttle you and your luggage to the terminal and back when you return from your trip. I was happy to keep my car parked in their lot at a much lower rate than at the airport garage and was a nice surprise that this was offered. Size of the hotel is reasonable and simple layout like a circle so you cannot get lost. Has a pool and very early breakfast, 4AM, making it nice for the early flight. Very quiet. I never knew I was at an airport. Easy access off I-81.

Good value for the price. Friendly staff. Fast check in and check out. Average clean room and hot breakfast (with meat). Nice size eating area for families. Beautiful outdoor pool. Location is within 5 minutes of restaurants and walmart.

We booked this hotel because they offered the stay and park option. The price was reasonable. We stayed at this hotel the night before we flew out. The shuttle took us to the airport and when we returned we just called the hotel and the shuttle came to pick us up and took us to our car in the hotel parking lot.

Location of hotel fabulous in terms of proximity to airport. Lack of elevator an issue and bathtub required cleaning before it could be used. Room also required vacuuming. Staff was courteous and there were no issues with either check in or check out.

"Not a hotel. Find another place!"

First, this is not a hotel, it's a former officers quarters or barracks and it shows. Understand that this hotel is ON THE AIRPORT PROPERTY! Drive 500 feet more and you are among Long Term Parking and Rental Car lots. I feared we would hear planes taking off all night but, the staff at check in said we would not hear any planes taking off due to the sound proofing in the roof. I can say that I did hear very few planes overnight. We arrived around 8 PM to find that our reserved room wasn't 2 double beds but, one queen. That doesn't work for two big guys. Do yourself a favor, book online if you plan to stay here, then you'll have confirmation of what you booked. I sense since we checked into the last room, we were given the "last room left" after satisfying everyone who checked in before us. I suppose if we checked in earlier, we would have been given a room someone else booked and they would have gotten the scraps upon check in. Being the last room available due to auto racing in Syracuse, we were told they were sold out and basically it was take it or leave it. There was no offer to make things right, just a false offer that we would be upgraded if there were any rooms left to upgrade to. A cot was wheeled up and unfolded between the foot of the bed and the TV as the room was incredibly small. There was no refrigerator in the room, the shower floor flexed, half the water in the shower came out the downspout and the heater thermostat not working were just a few of the problems. I plugged my phone charger into an outlet strip on the floor which was among several wires. I'm not sure how safe that is. The floor around the bed seemed dirty and dark. This is a classic example of getting what you pay for as this place is bare bones lodging. You can put lipstick on a pig but, it's still a pig. Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay. In all my years of traveling I can honestly say that this is the worst Hotel/Barracks/Officer's Quarters I have ever stayed in! There's a reason they serve breakfast starting at 4 AM besides the fact people have to catch a flight. It's because people are happy to leave!

Handy to stay if you have a very early flight. Nice bar and great TV. Very clean. Breakfast has MEAT..... Free transportation to the Airport ALL the time. Fast checkout. Could use a fridge in the room.

"Location and bed were great"

Shower stall was dingy and unclean looking. Shower had no water power. Room was similar to what you'd get in 1950-same furniture!! The Valance over window has fallen down and never been replaced-nails sticking out of wall. No elevator for luggage to 2nd floor. Wake up call was forgotten. Room numbers seemed to be maze'like/down one side then back up the other. Customer serv in evening was great, a.m. not! I said my wake-up call was forgotten and told 'I didn't do that' instead of 'I'm sorry'. Big disappointment for saving a ten min ride to airport from a better hotel. Will not stay there again.

"Excellent Choice"

This hotel is conveniently located close to the airport. I usually arrive late due to connecting flights, and I always find it's beds to be extremely comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful. I have stayed here several times with always the same results. It is a very good value and always gives me a good nights sleep.

"Hospitality "

The customer service last night was nothing less than amazing. After checking into the hotel, my daughter became sick and needed to be taken to the ER. This was a difficult situation since we were in route to Germany and did not have a vehicle. Mary at the front desk quickly came to the rescue. Not only was she so kind as to shuttle us to the ER, but she then proceeded to take us to the drug store to pick up the desperately needed medication and returned us to the hotel. Without her assistance I'm not sure we would have been able to make it to the hositpal, let alone Germany. Thank you so much for your generosity, it is appreciated more than you know.

"Convenient place to stay"

To catch an early flight out, it's a good place to stay. With a moderate amount of luggage we caught the comp shuttle to and from airport. Took advantage of comp breakfast for a 04:30 kick start. Only thing I have a question on is they advertise free parking but we were charged $60+ for parking. Wonder if it would be better to drive from home and just park at airport?

I have investigated your comments and will take steps to ensure that the confusion experienced does not happen again. My staff will also be made aware of your comments and immediate corrective action has been taken. Please keep in mind overnight parking is free when available, however if our guests would like to leave their vehicle in our parking lot after they have checked out of the Hotel this is considered a Park&Fly package. Park&Fly packages are different rates and are only available by contacting the Hotel directly. Extended parking is never available through a 3rd party reseller.
