I had stayed here before years ago and it was very nice, nowadays not at all. That night there, were children running up and down the halls and children jumping up and down above me at 10pm, I put up with that, ok. At 5 in the morning I was awakened by an angry man screaming and banging the walls somewhere upstairs, I was frozen in bed, he went on for a long time yelling obscenities and banging. I finally called the front desk and it stopped about 15 min later. I immediately was dressed and ready to check out, they do have a free breakfast but the room was overflowing into the lobby with undocumented migrants, I checked out and wanted to speak to the manager. When I did I was offered 15% refund, later the area manger called and offered a 50% refund if I would revise a review to corporate and he was fixing the issue with the breakfast room, I agreed, he was going to email me, never did, never got any money back. Don't stay there, it is not a safe place!

Building is renovated but not safe and up to hotel standard the rooms have mold in them, the windows leak when it rains. The carpets smell terrible who only knows when the last time those were washed. Staff was very rude to other guest and you had a hard time telling who works there due to staff wearing street cloths.

Worst service ever - did not handle a locked door to one of our rooms in a timely manner and then only discounted one room even though we were all equally impacted - horrible service all the way around and then denied a call back requesting they rectify the situation by discounting our whole bill.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. I stayed a whole week, and my only regret; is that I stayed somewhere else the first week that I was visiting the area. Everyone on the staff…..Nobel, Gabby, Heather, Tyler, etc. were all fantastic and very accommodating to my three traveling pet rabbit service animals. There is a pool, laundry (which I didn't use), and a free hot breakfast every morning. I look forward to my visit here next year! I'll give it a top rating of two rabbit ears up!! Checked in at this hotel because I was attending a wedding and other guests were staying there. The hotel is apparently being reconditioned but in its current condition it's equivalent to a low priced motel 6. Room was okay but musty odor and damp. Hardly any water pressure and water was Luke warm at best. Way overpriced for these conditions, would never stay there again for that price or frankly any price.

This hotel was comfortable. We stayed here for two nights so we could catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The breakfast was eggs, sausage, assortment of breads, pastries, waffles, etc. The hotel staff was wonderful.

After a long day in the sun and driving out from the crowded Newport Jazz Festival, it was a straightforward drive to the Dartmouth-New Bedford Best Western. Check-in was easy, and our room was clean and comfortable. The pool looked clean and inviting although we did not use it. Although the price was a little steep for a basic Best Western, we will be back next year when we return to the Newport Jazz Festival. We enjoyed exploring New Bedford, a short drive away.

Our family of 3 booked a night at this hotel during a visit to other family members in the area. Our room had a king size bed and a sofa bed, so met our needs nicely. We did not have the opportunity to use the pool or have the free breakfast, as we had family plans which took up our time. The hotel location is convenient to the home of our other family members, so next time we are in the area we will certainly look to book a room here.

We stay at Best Westerns all the time. This one is very poorly managed. No carts in entry. Breakfast was terrible. No juice, milk or water offered. The elevator was broke one of the two days we were there. Not enough towels in room and none at desk. Towels were scratchy like sandpaper. No water pressure in shower. A plus was the room was clean.

This was the “worst” western experience by far. The lotion & hair conditioner were used before I opened them/not full nor did we get refills. The fire alarm was set off at 1am. Several smokers that smelled up the stairwell. Breakfast was scarce & not warm. Water in lobby was never refilled. Very disappointed in how clean the shower was and the beds were uncomfortable.

The room was good and clean. The walls are a bit hollow so you definitely will hear other rooms if loud enough. The pool was not working for some reason but i wasn't intending to use the pool. Definitely would stay here again.

I've stayed here a number of times over the past five years while attending events in that area. This hotel is usually very good. I've never had a problem that couldn't be taken care of right on the spot (borrowed bottle opener, keys need to be re-magnetized, and billing snafu). They always go above and beyond to make sure that we're happy with our room. The people that work there seem very nice. This time the lady at the front desk was very friendly. The lady handling the breakfast was helpful and talkative (which is nice, because it's weird at other hotels when workers just ho about their business and don't interact with the guests). I usually try to book a room at least a couple of weeks in advance for a better rate. Overall this is the best hotel in the immediate area.

Construction ongoing but no one every told us. Pool closed. The water trickled out of the bathroom sink. Hard to wash or brush teeth. The lounge chair was ripped and worn. There were ants in the bathroom all over the floor. The construction workers were right over our room banging at 7:30 AM! The pool was not working. No ice machine on ANY floor working. No breakfast, except grab bag. Dusty. Workers and other guest smoke right outside the ONLY working side door and I had to walk through them. Only one cart and no one could find it. They said the construction crew was using them. Limited parking. The window was never locked and we were on the first floor.

Got there, the receptionist was on personal phone call, acted annoyed that we were checking in. Noted from signs that the breakfast/pool/fitness room from the best western website description were all closed, no alternative offered for breakfast. Elevator was broken so we were directed to Jerry-rigged door on side of building near garbage and wooded area between properties. Stairs were dirty and smelled funky. Door at top of stairs wouldn't open until pulled with all my daughter's weight (I opened later putting more strength into it than would normally use for fear of breaking something- but when we went to the front desk as we thought it was locked- she dismissed and said "pull harder"). The room door opened one in ten times with the card swipe. The room smelled of smoke (non-smoking room). The outlets did not charge my phone regardless of which i put it into, which was weird because it charged without problem at local Starbucks and at UMass Dartmouth during day. Internet was spotty. People were loud in hallway throughout night. I deliberately stayed in Best Western because i was taking my daughter and friend to visit college. This was one of the slumiest hotels I have ever stayed in.

We were up to visit the Whaling Museum in New Bedford. The trip extended to chasing some lighthouses all the way to Falmouth and Woods Hole. This was a great location to do that. The hotel was quiet. The room was clean. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. It ialso helped that there was a BJ's close lower priced gas. We had a great visit. Thank you.

We showed the front desk how they were overcharging us and they refused to adjust the bill. Disgusting stains on the rug. Dripping stains on the walls! No towels or shampoo. The manager “Joe” is an idiot. Doesn't even attempt to solve issues.

Check in went ok. The grounds are fairly nice. Building is getting a bit old but, I think they're trying to keep up. I don't recall any issues with our room and the pool was nice. Breakfast was pretty good with some sausage, bacon and cheese omelettes as well as an array of cereals. It's just WAY overpriced - by like, double it's actual value.

I recently had a booking on July 26th and was there for no longer than an hour or two. In my entire existence, I have never been in a hotel as dirty as this one. As soon as you walk into the room, it smelled like a basement (as if the room was very moist.) The sink clogged up when I washed my hands, the floors were dirty, and nothing looked like it was cleaned or sanitized properly. You had to keep your shoes on that was how dirty the floors and rugs were. I observed black stains on the walls that appeared to be a bed bug infestation. If you were to search bed bug stains on walls -- it would look exactly like the pictures attached. Even if it was not bed bugs, there could be a possibility that it could be mold. Additionally, while checking in other guests were complaining that the wifi and TV were not working. The hotel receptionist did not make the experience any better. I informed him that I was going to check out due to feeling uncomfortable and explained why. The receptionist responded by being argumentative and defensive instead of providing a solution. He tried to argue that the room does not have bed bugs and that he knew exactly what I was talking about before even seeing/inspecting the room. He tried to explain that in the past there use to be pictures on the walls which would explain the stains. I explained to him that the stains were towards the bottom of the wall behind the nightstand/furniture which cannot be plausible for his explanation. Even when I showed him the room, he was adamant that it was not bedbugs and kept repeating that I had to show him an actual bed bug. If you know anything about bed bugs, it would be really rare to see one. I explained to him that regardless of his explanations, I did not feel comfortable staying the night long enough to find out whether it was bed bugs, mold, or something else. It would be too late by then. I checked out and was not refunded. Please save your money, and pay for something a little more expensive for a peace of mind.

Staff is incredibly rude, they don't acknowledge your presence until they finish what they are doing (and by that I mean getting off their phones). Room was "ok" Cleaning Staff walked off the job (according to the front desk) so our room was not cleaned The room itself had soap in the shower from the previous guest The hairdryer CAUGHT ON FIRE! (literally ON FIRE), told the manager, his comment "oh wow". I asked for another hairdryer, he said he would be back...never came back. Asked for a cot. 4 times. Got the cot..no sheets. Said he would be right back...still waiting. Desperately looked for another hotel (we had booked for 2 nights), could not find one. Upon check out, I asked to speak to someone, and was told the manager was at Dunkin Donuts and would not be back for a while Oh...and the best part, the front desk staff that got into a screaming match with each other with a lobby full of guests. Very Jerry Springer.

It's a $60 a night hotel going for $120 - $140, it's dark, dingy, room was just ok but I expect better value, TV didn't work (I didn't report it after having to get room keys a few times cause they didn't work unless you slid it perfectly). Spend $20 more a night and you'll get a much better room in the area.

I'm gonna start with the pros cuz there's just a few: Breakfast- definitely worth it! Hot breakfast was pretty decent! Some of the staff were pleasant. Cons: Horrible, terrible service. Despite the fact that I clearly spoke to the reception before leaving in the morning that I'd want the room service to be done. And I even left the room service required tag on the doorknob. Well when my wife and I were in for a surprise in the evening. ROOM SERVICE WASN'T DONE. Upon asking at the reception we were given reasons. We requested for more towels, that's the least they could do. Since We'd left all the towels on the floor for house keeping. And we were told that they were out of towels since their dryer broke down. HOW CAN SUCH A HUGE HOTEL RUN OUT OF TOWELS??? Nice way to ruin our 4th of July! The most unpleasant part of our stay: early in the morning at 4.30AM my wife and I were woken up by women chatting loudly outside our room. So we were given a room right opposite to the laundry room. So it was the housekeeping staff sharing their morning news with one another we guessed. That loudly! We had to call up the reception and tell them to resolve this as the noise didn't go down even after waiting for a while. Looks like Best Western didn't want us to take a shower, didn't want us to sleep through our stay this time. Forget the complimentary water bottle that I was supposed to receive for being a platinum rewards member. What more could I expect since I wasn't even given basic amenities such as towel and toiletries. If I've invested my precious time in writing this lengthy email, you should understand the level of frustration I've had this time around. I've been with best western for the last 5 years I guess it is time take a break and go with Marriott or Hilton.

Nice staff. Terrible hotel. It smells like stale cigarettes and mold. Rooms and furniture are outdated and stained. Had to change rooms twice due to unruly guests next to our room and a TV that did not work and windows that would not close completely and lock posing a safety hazard.

This place was HORRIBLE. We were with a large group of basketball players and families all down for a basketball tournament. My room was a nightmare! The window was broken and wouldnt close and had no screen so it was wide open. The heating-a/c unit was broken and wouldnt turn on and the floor was wet around it. The TV was unhooked completely and unplugged from the wall and we had to set it up ourselves and trouble shoot to get it to work. All rooms were outdated and dirty and smelled. The noise was AWFUL. Large groups of people yelling, running, and banging into the walls in the hallway well until 1am and they were asked multiple times to please stop and they should have been made to leave but were not. We were with a group that booked about 12 rooms that night and nobody slept and everybody couldnt wait to leave and go home and shower. We will never stay at this Best Western again!

I cannot express how horrified I am at this property. The room was disgusting, absolutely filthy. I think the hotel staff just remade the bed and switched out the towels and that was it! Every glass and mirrored surface was covered in greasy fingerprints, food and kissy lips on the windows (my god, how someone would put their mouth on such a disgusting surface surprised me even more than the lack of cleaning.) Taking all cleaning precautions and following Covid protocols??? I'm dying laughing here!! For the love of god, before you book here, please take a look at my pictures below... chewed gum left on the floor, food crumbs on the couch and floor, every glass surface covered in greasy prints and food (microwave, mirrors, windows), rooms freshly fragranced with eau de pot, TV and pool out of order. I called the front desk numerous times to be either switched out or checked out, but no answer. Go back down to the empty front desk, wait for someone to come back. Call the main number while I was standing there and listened to it ring and ring and ring. A flyer in the room listed the manager, Joe Rosario's phone number so I left a message... this is 3 days ago and I've not heard a word. The only saving grace was a morning shift desk clerk named Vee, who was the only person who seemed to give a crap, was on the phone with Joe expressing concern with staff not showing up and her attempting her best to handle -- everything, yes, everything. It would appear that perhaps Vee needs to be the one to manage the place. I've yet to hear back from good ol' Joe or from Headquarters whos said they would prioritize the issue (they did offer to compensate me with another nights stay and that location -- are you effing kidding me???). The only word I have for you about booking at this location is... DON'T!!!

If you are looking for a hotel that allows their guests to smoke weed in their rooms then this is the hotel for you. I had to call front desk a few times cause the overwhelming odor of Weed coming from room next door is just tooo much. It's clear The hotel workers don't care and didn't want to be bothered by my complaints. Young teenage kids in and out all hours. Would not recommend for families with children! I'm checking out today and going to a Marriot.

Fight broke up on the floor we were staying around 12:30 am and went to the lobby than onto outside . Front desk didn't know what to do and, refused to call the police. 7 to 9 people fighting screaming until about 2:30am in and out of the hotel throwing bricks at a parked car until the police showed up and took the fighters out of their room. Front desk didn't answer the phone to register our noise complaint. My kids still shaking about the nightmare we paid high price to witness. Employees told us , they are having trouble all the time.

I was staying overnight with family because we were in town for a UMass Dartmouth family event. I can tell you right now I will never stay in this hotel again. It was not only dirty and disgusting but some of the staff were rude and unprofessional. Our room smelled like an ashtray and the walls were dirty. Supposedly a non-smoking room, yet people obviously smoke in them and they congregate outside the front door smoking as well. The staff behind the desk try to be accommodating but I witnessed an incident with other hotel guests. There was a woman who said she was from housekeeping who started mouthing off to the hotel guests whose room was apparently given away to someone else after they checked in. Somebody from the staff called the police on the hotel guests who appeared to do nothing wrong but be upset about their room being given away. Another person in the lobby who I'm not sure was a guest or not, then proceeded to inject herself into the incident. There seems to be people wandering in and out who are not actually staying there. That woman further escalated an already tense situation by recording the exchange between the hotel guests and the hotel staff hoping to start a fight. It was scary and thankfully the police showed up to deescalate and solve the issue. I did not feel safe in that hotel and I will never stay there again. Buyer beware!

My friend booked a room for one night and we checked in at 3:30pm. We were given room 305 which was right next to the elevator. As soon as we went in all we could smell was cigarette smoke. We went down to the front desk and asked to have the room cleaned and we were told that they would be right on it. We left for the evening and arrived back at the hotel approximately 8:30 PM. We had trouble getting into our room because the key wouldn't work. We got the head of maintenance to try to help us out and he could not get the key to work either. After attempting to use the master key we realized that our room had been given away and that there were other people in our room. We then went down to the lobby to try to figure out what happened. The hotel was completely booked so there was no other room for us to move to. After the maintenance gentleman spoke to the woman at the front desk my friend said “we just want our stuff back. That's all we want.” A second woman behind the desk, who was not the woman who checked us in, proceeded to start yelling at us like we did something wrong. I said “you gave our room away what the heck are you even talking about?” We exchanged words and she proceeded to tell me she didn't even work the front desk and that she was a housekeeper. So in essence, a housekeeper was getting involved in something she had no knowledge of, and then proceeded to call the police on us. The police arrived and awe explained what had happened. My friend had paid cash for the room but reserved it with a credit card. They did not put into the system that they gave us room 305 and proceeded to refund my friend's money. The police officers said we should not have been called for this incident and we agreed. We did not call them, the employees did. The next morning my friend noticed that the credit card has been charged around 3:30 AM and that a completely different room number had been charged to the card. She was told that the cancellation was never put into the system. After some assistance from the general manager, she was able to get the refund to the credit card. The head of maintenance and the woman behind the desk were nothing but helpful. Unfortunately the housekeeper who had nothing to do with this incident decided to get involved and escalate this situation. This hotel smells disgusting and unfortunately it appears that a lot of the employees are inexperienced. I never give bad ratings to hotels but I have to for this one. I'm sure you can find a better place to stay for the money they charge for a night here.

The whole building was dingy and run down. The night shift person had a serious attitude problem. The tiles in the bathroom were broken, cracked and coming up. The toilet was loose and moving sideways, The room definitely didn't smell fresh or clean.

Pictures and services are not what was offered. Hallway and rooms need updating, musty smell. Mold and dust in ac unit, no filter, curtains missing hooks and didn't close properly, Room wasn't cleaned, reported to manager who did go and clean room. Happened again following evening when we returned. Manager off. Got maintenance who got girl to get clean towels. Had to ask to empty trash and make bed. Discount given after first incident but made excuses when incident occurred again. Breakfast buffet tables not cleaned after each use nor disinfectant available to use. Disappointing for Best Western to offer inferior quality. Looked like people were living there, not just guests. Many hotels in area, keep looking!

We have been staying in Best Western Hotels for years. This hotel is definitely not up to Best Western standards. We had a reservation for two nights. We arrived about 9 pm. Upon arrival I had an uneasy feeling. There were people hanging near the entrance and in the parking lot and it made me feel uncomfortable. We checked in anyway. We rode the elevator to the 2nd floor. I felt like I was on the Tower of Terror. There was a lot of grinding noises and jerking. When I walked into my room the window was wide open. I went to close it and realized that the entire sliding window was off the track. I moved the class pane to the right to at least keep the air out. When I looked around there was mold on the walls and the closet ceiling. There was a footprint on the mirror in the bedroom???? There was black mold around the outlets. There was makeup on the pillow case. Surprisingly, at first glance the bathroom looked pretty clean. I didn't examine it very closely. Even though it was 9 pm we decided that we were not going to stay. I did not feel safe in the hotel at all. In all my years of traveling this is the first time I did not stay at a hotel upon checking in. Over the years we have had a couple of rough hotels, but never like this. We went back to the front desk and explained that we didn't think the hotel was up to Best Western standards and that we were not comfortable staying. The girl at the desk was very nice and did not give us a hard time at all. She cancelled our reservations. We loaded up our car and left. I think Best Western needs to take a look at this hotel. It should not have a Best Western sign on it. Unless, this is what is happening to all Best Westerns. We had one more Best Western booked for our road trip and we cancelled that reservation too. We got scared. I know the pandemic has been rough on the travel industry. But this was bad!!!

I am 59 years old and this is the absolute worst hotel I have ever been in. Staff was extremely unfriendly and no help even with a Brokedown elevator.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. Something has changed for the worse. Groups of people were smoking at the front door. Our 1st room did not have a working toilet, refrigerator was removed and had a horrible smell. Our 2nd room was better, although the lock did not always work. The elevator made lous grinding noises and finally stopped working the last day we were there. Large groups of people hung around near the dumpster. WE DID NOT FEEL SAFE HERE. We will not return.

I would not recommend this hotel. It was run down and old. The refrigerator was leaking water all over the floor. It smelled like an ashtray yet was a “non smoking” room. All of our clothes and bags smelled like smoke for the rest of the weekend. We literally were there for 12 hours and all of our things stunk when we left. We couldn't open the windows to air it out because there were no screens and bugs immediately flew in before we discovered the screens were missing. It was not a pleasant stay.

This hotel is so gross and being used more as a trashy boarding house by staff instead of as a hotel for guests. Literally the dirtiest hotel I have stayed at, anywhere in the world. Staff complained loudly for hours all throughout hotel about having to do their jobs and every part of my room was disgusting, from dirty sheets to walls covered in food and dried urine congealed behind the toilet. Every common area was disgusting, food smashed into carpets and on floors for days without being cleaned, broken pool filters with thick scum rings in pool, and wads of dried toilet paper encrusting pool bathroom with snakes - yes snakes, sliding between women's room and electrical room. I've stayed in third world countries and never had an experience like this. The whole place reeks and it's easy to see why, because workers are complaining, arguing and gossiping instead of doing their jobs.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful ....even when I called at 3:00AM to ask for the herd of elephants upstairs to be evicted. The elephants did remain quiet the rest of the night. The hotel needs some attention to detail, maintenance, etc. I don't know why but the cleaning staff did not come in the room once in four days...COVID maybe. The mattress was terrible, AC did not really work, it was not that hot during my stay but I was trying to use the AC do dehumidify my room . It was clammy. When I got in bed it felt like the sheets were cold and clammy, very moist and humid in the room. This hotel has good bones, a little attention to detail would greatly improve this property.

We reserved a double room. It was dark, containing only two lamps in a very large sitting/sleeping area. The street noise was overwhelming. The room was dingy, and we had no maid service. No coffee maker. The breakfast on the first day was nearly empty - no eggs, no cereal, no pastry, no waffles for the waffle maker. On day two, most , but not all, of tose items were present. The bathroom was OK, with an excellent shower.

The hotel is disgusting.. my kids and I didnt even stay after being there for a couple hours. The rooms were not cleaned candy wrappers were left from the last guest and stains on the bed. The pool area is dirty. I asked corporate to refund my money and they didn't.

Covid vacation hoards inflate prices on weekends, so this was pretty expensive at ~$200 for a room. But the room was dumpy feeling - terrible smell (mix of cheap air freshner, perhaps smoke, and general staleness). Carpet was worn out, office chair had stains. In addition, room-to-room sound isolation was poor. Glad we only stayed at this dump for a night.

1. We had a reservation, arrived at 7pm. Took 30-40 minutes to get checked in, since they were not sure what rooms were clean. 2. NO blankets on the bed. We called down and were informed that "many had been stolen" and the few blankets they had "were spoken for". 3. No manager available to talk to. Got referred to Best Western customer service, have not received any response 6 weeks later. 4. Room was dirty, no way it had been "cleaned" since last guest.

My wife and I have stayed at many Best Western properties around the country over the years and this one by far was the worst. We are rewards members and really discouraged with this property. The moonier stuff like no wash clothes in the bathroom and no toilet paper holder was a bit irritating but the fact that after our shower curtain rod literally pulled out of the wall and was never fixed is unacceptable. Front desk was not picking up the phone so reported in-person to the desk. Usually the staff cares about these issues but not this one. We had a wedding (our son) to attend and when we got back late that night, fixture was still sitting in the tub untouched. We had others stay here for wedding and all had other issues with their short stay. Placde seems badly managed and uncaring. Sad to say. Will never stay here again if in this area.

We arrived last night around 9pm. A line of people were at reception all asking for towels and blankets. I assumed they were just asking for fresh ones because there is no room service but i found out, as soon as we got to our room that they were asking for them because there were only 2 small thin scratchy towels provided, no bath mat and no blankets. There was a crumpled up, we assume used, sheet on a chair in our room and no bedspreads. No net curtains at the window. The bare minimum provided. I wondered if only 1 sheet had been changed on the beds…. The room was tired and shabby in desperate need of a makeover. Breakfast (7-10 we were told) but at 9am was a disaster - nothing left! No cereal, no bread, no fruit. Thank goodness we were only staying one night, we couldn't wait to get out of here. One positive note- the poor girl Val, in reception was lovely, big smile, working against the odds, none of this her fault, just greedy management, no doubt. She deserves a pay rise or should get a new job! Overpriced and shoddy. Avoid unless you are desperate!

Mouse trap in lobby by desk.. 3 No top sheet between comforter and bottom sheet. 4. Windowsill. I can go on and on but hopefully this is enough to keep you away. Best Western should not allow their brand to sink this low.

My wife and son and I booked two rooms for one night on 6/25-6/26. The appearance and feel of this Best Western (Dartmouth/New Bedford, MA) are far from what I had experienced at other BW locations. There was a stuffy odor in the hallway and in the rooms, the carpet was old and dirty, the bed blankets and covers were sheer and wrinkled as if someone had just slept there. The wall paper was peeling in some areas. Overall, the place did not look clean and the odor amplified the lackluster visuals. And all for $175 per night; I'm thankful it was just one night. This Best Western needs some serious TLC.

I had reserved for 4 nights and left after the first night and got a much better hotel in Fairhaven. The first room they gave me the key cards would not work ... I had to go back to the desk 3 times (as if I worked there) and they kept giving me different cards none of which worked. Then they gave us a different room. The bathroom door would not close at all, like it didn't fit the frame and just stayed propped open. The room was not very clean, kids noticed hairs on the shampoo, and the coffeemaker still had previous guests grounds in it. No garbage can in room except bathroom. A single coffee cup in a room with two double beds. Mediocre mattresses and small bad pillows. Don't be fooled by the pictures, this is a shabby, dumpy feeling hotel. When we checked in, I was told very clearly that breakfast was 630 to 930am, but when we arrived at 9:05am there was no food left. I went up to the front desk, and was greeted with "Yeah?" Asked if there was more food and then was lectured with a nasty attitude that "it's first come first serve, and I don't put out any more food after 9am because of the waste. And it's the same at any other hotel you go to, for future reference." Another staff yelled out "They shoulda told you that when you checked in!" Gee thanks bud. The desk staff seems miserable. This place must only be surviving because they lure in people with the "Best Western" brand name, which I now know means nothing because they are all independently owned and operated. The only good thing is the nearby pizza place. Do yourself a favor and spend more for a better hotel in Fairhaven.

We got there late and it took an hour to check in due to inexperience. I will say that the person at the desk was very nice and tried her best but no one seemed to know what they were doing. The place needs a thorough cleaning!!! The wallpaper is literally peeling off & there was red wine dripping down the wall. The chair is thread worn. The bathroom door does not close all the way. The hair dryer did not work properly and had to be unplugged to turn off. Clock did not work. The windowsill looked as if someone had taken a chisel to it. The duvet crunches and not comfortable for a good sleep. I was appalled that during a pandemic more care was not taken. Kitchen area was disgusting. Something had spilled all over the floor and our feet were sticking it. The red headed girl was RUDE and not monitoring what was happening. Guests were touching the food without gloves. I am surprised that Best Western would want to be associated with this place. It was shady to say the least. I will not return!

I walked in one night for a late check in and the staff were fist fighting in the lobby The language was horrendous ! There was a young gentleman looks no more then 25 years old . Being beat up in what used to be a dining area . When I say assaulted he was in fetal position on the ground . I've watched this place go down hill over the years. I will now be staying at the new hotel in Westport I feel as if the staff is just as mediocre as the hotel. If drug, prostitution and street fights are your thing this is the place for you

We stayed at this hotel while picking up our college student. Is close to the college bit appears to be under construction. The breakfast was almost non existent....I understand it is during covid but have stayed at other hotels with a much better breakfast. Also had the worst neighbors. Continued to call front desk about the continual yelling and domestics taking place next door....yelling until 2 am and starting again at 630 am. Even looked at leaving hotel for peace and quiet

The manager gets defensive when mentioned, hence nothing is corrected. Brandon is the best front desk. He was awesome! He's super welcoming, always wore mask, and very informative regarding rules and hours . He always made sure there was coffee as well.

Having stayed here before, while they were revamping, there were some things we expected. Yes, companies use this hotel to house temporary workers, and they tend to congregate at the front entrance to smoke. It can also make it noisey at night. On this stay though there were more issues than the anticipated one's. On check in (which took way too long, as the reservation I made 2 weeks prior and called to confirm 2 days prior was incorrect) we noticed broken glass in the hall. Mentioned to desk clerk, an went to our rooms. We then went out twice, once to get food and once to retrieve something from the car an the broken glass remains, despite our reminders to said clerk. It was there over 4 hours until the next shift arrived. If someone has gotten injured the hotel would have been totally at fault. Once in our rooms, TV's didn't work, same desk clerk couldn't figure it out, ok no tv for us. Then upon stepping out of the shower and grabbing a towel, there was a clump of black hair stuck to the towel. Upon requesting new towels we received tiny thin pool towels. In addition slats on one of the beds were broken, making it list to the left and make a terrible noise I you moved on it. We placed our smallest party member on that bed and prayed for morning. At 0905 housekeeping knocked on the door like a police raid and announced rather rudely "check out time is 1100" like we wanted to linger after such a delightful experience. We gave this place a second chance after last year, not again

There is a mask mandate in Massachusetts. From the MA government site: "Governor Baker has issued an Order effective Wednesday, May 6 requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This applies to both indoor and outdoor spaces." Evidently Best Western is unaware of the law because NOBODY at this hotel - guests or staff - wore a mask. People congregated in the lobby, the pool and the one elevator in the building without masks or social distancing. If they would have just warned me two days ago they wouldn't be offering this bare minimum of protectionl then I would never have booked a room. What other safety standards do they ignore? The refusal to comply with MA law makes the rest of their issues seem trivial at this point but here goes. The hotel is dated to be sure but that doesn't excuse the drapes that were falling down in my room or the dirty microwave. You should know before booking the walls are very thin. I heard the TV and conversations from the room next door until the early hours of the morning. I paid $149 for a very basic room here. Last night I stayed at the Residence Inn Suites in Tewksbury and got a clean, updated room with a living room and full kitchen, didn't hear any sound from other guest rooms and paid $30 less. I understand prices differ from place to place but $30 difference between a modern hotel and a basic one? (Oh, and they insist on masks, use sanitizing equipment and all employees are trained in Covid safety protocols.) Even as the hotel industry is looking for bailouts, this hotel seems unconcerned with protecting its guests. Their failure to comply with the mandate even though huge retailers like Home Depot, Target, Walmart and scores of other businesses manage is the most important concern right now but it's certainly not the only reason to avoid staying here.

So the first room they gave us the beds were not made. There was Chinese food containers in the room. Door was wide open not safe. The second room air conditioning not working, hair in beds, sink and shower. Now it's late so I say just get some sleep and leave in the morning. There are people smoking drugs in the hotel and outside. Most of the people staying here seem to be low income so I'm sure the state is paying for these rooms. Party all night in some of the rooms and my 12 year old daughter got to listen to people having sex and banging on our wall. They smoke in the rooms. Went to complain and nothing asked to be moved nope sorry no rooms left, now its 12:30am and the party is still going on. One room had about 25 people in it. Not a very safe place to be. I dont know how this place got the good reviews something fishy here. Again go a few miles out and get something good or you will be sorry.

Fitness Center - 2 of 5 pieces of equipment not working. had 3 rooms - One with cracked window, one with slippery bath tub and no rubber mats available and all with TV or remote problems. A prepaid room was cancelled and although they honored the rate the Front Desk person had never heard of prepaying for a room to save money.

Situated on the main H6 just outside New Bedford but traffic noise not an issue. Large free car park adjacent to a modern and clean motel style property. Very good condition and clean with all usual facilities plus armchair desk and chair. Very nice indoor pool withtowels provided and washer / dryer laundry facilities. Excellent shower and a very comfortable bed gave a good nights sleep. Very good hot and cold selection for breakfast with fruit also provided to take away from a nice breakfast room. Staff very friendly and helpful when our planned trip was cancelled and they suggested other visits we could do. Adding an in room safe only possible improvement otherwise perfect.

Dirty gross sheets with blood, cosmetics or lipstick stains as well as bodily secretion stains all over the bottom sheet. Not willing to remake the bed due to staffing shortages, I finally had to move to another room. Light bulbs in the room that didn't work, Noisy hallways. And a breakfast bar with no bacon, sausage, danish, yogurt because they were all out due to misordering and the truck wouldn't be in until later in the day (hey folks, there's a supermarket nearby!). The only eggs were rubbery commercial grade stuff. WORST BEST WESTERN I'VE EVER STAYED AT IN MY LIFE!

My wife had a small issue with the A/C and Brian worked through the issue to help us get a solution and went as far as giving us a fan to use as white noise so my wife could sleep without any problems. Anything I needed or wanted Brian and his team were able to take care of it.

...and one of the housekeepers was terrific. They allowed me to check in early to get ready for a funeral, and when I wasn't thrilled with my first room because it didn't smell fresh, she instantly switched me to another. And the desk person came up immediately to switch the keys to save me a trip. Everyone was friendly on my way in and out over three days which made this tough trip a bit better. The breakfast was good and included good scrambled eggs, bacon and maybe sausage, fresh fruit, the usual cereals. I judge hotel free breakfast by the eggs, and I'd give them an A. I'll definitely stay here again when my budget needs a good modestly priced room for a few days in New Bedford.

My husband and I spent a night at this hotel as we were attending a Pat Metheny concert at a nearby venue, and wanted to spend the night nearby. This hotel was a nice find, and served its purpose perfectly. The reception greeted us warmly. They had many recommendations for restaurants nearby. Our room was very large and clean. Wi-Fi worked exceptionally well. The hotel had all the amenities one would expect from such a facility. The morning breakfast was plentiful, and was the traditional Best Western breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. We would stay here again.

This hotel standards are equal to a couple of hoodlums out to have a good time. Our room was next to young adults who were up partying half the night and smoking marijuana. I felt unsafe in my room so therefore, I placed a chair in front of the door. My room was located on the second floor of the hotel. To add insult to injury I didn't get the wake up call I requested the night before, I got up and had to scramble for my clothes, missed breakfast, and I was late to catch my boat to Martha Vineyard in Falmouth. I hope this review is scrutinizied by the manager of this hotel he needs to evaluate the noise level permitted in this hotel and provide law and order for the other guests who are trying to rest.

They were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. They went out of their way to help me save a bird that was injured out front. It says a lot about a person's character with how they treat creatures or people seen as lesser then them. They always made sure i felt home away from home and helped me take care of my needs. This hotel is in desperate need for a deep cleaning and revamp. The hallways are hot and the room that I stayed in was incredibly moldy smelling, dark and dingy. I chose not to sleep under the covers in this room because of the state of the bed skirt that looked like it had been on the bed for years (shredded & tattered). I also did not shower at this hotel since my assumption was that the room is not actually clean. There is nothing in the area of the hotel except for one restaurant across the street. It is a shame because the access road to get to Route 6 was beautiful, on the water & what looked liked very nice houses. Bottom line, wouldn't recommend, wouldn't stay again. Unbelievable that this place actually has reviews above 1 star.

This hotel is easy to find, with plenty of parking. Hotel staff was super - always a hello, a smile, and asking if everything was ok. The free breakfast between 7&9 was excellent with waffles, fruit, cereals, bagels, toast, etc.. The employee overseeing the breakfast area was also great. The beds are only double beds so if you are not used to sleeping in these, especially as a couple you could be uncomfortable but they do have king size beds in the king rooms. Room has microwave and a fridge, plus desk, tv, air conditioner, closet, ironing board and iron, and a hair dryer. I gave my overall rating as a three because the shower curtain rod needed to be fixed and the shower curtain didn't hang right or do its job. Also the sink appeared to be plugged somewhat, and the toilet handle had to be jiggled sometimes. The desk chair was disgustingly filthy and I thought there was no excuse for that. Perhaps they are in the process of renovating because the lobby and breakfast room were spotless and comfortable. The pool was small but good but then they had to shut it down for two days for maintenance. The halls, and windows were tired looking and needed some TLC. The price was reasonable but I stay at a lot of hotels and am not sure if I would stay at this one again.

I will try to keep this short, but what an amazing staff! Brian, Xiomara, and Cita absolutely love their jobs, and it shows! Wonder people that ended up feeling like friends, and I miss them all! Ok, our room was huge! We had a king bed, but could have fit two in there! Coffee maker, fridge and microwave in room. Good WiFi. Free breakfast. Coffee 24/7 in lobby. Beautiful inside pool. It was a little chilly, but the kids didn't seem to mind. We stayed here for a week. We will be back. We will recommend to friends and family.

Brian was a welcoming host and goes the extra mile to make your stay a positive experience. The hotel facilities are in need of a sprucing up but Brian was helpful in recommending restaurants, providing complimentary laundry detergent and finding a Greek yogurt for breakfast when it appeared they had all been eaten.

Anytime I went to the front desk the staff was friendly and helpful. If I asked housekeeping for anything they always returned in a timely fashion with what you asked for. Chantalle who worked in the breakfast area kept the tables clean and the food replenished. She worked very hard to accommodate anyone who asked her a question. Even though there were directions for using the waffle maker not everyone understood the directions and when they were struggling to make a waffle she would just walk over and help them out. She always said good morning to you with a smile. The room was nice enough. The room was clean. The furniture should be updated though the upholstered chair was well-worn. Refrigerator was clean. I would stay there again

I like staying here. Clean, quiet, centrally located place near ocean and lots of food and shopping. Right on relatively busy highway but still quiet. There is a clean pool which I did not use this trip but have in the past.

A car hit us and totalled our car in Wellfleet, MA which meant we could not make our reservation at Dartmouth since we were dealing with insurance and trying to get things, including a rental car, figured out. It was a traumatic day to say the least. We ended up staying at a hotel in Wellfleet while we tried to get things in order and deal with our injuries. I called Expedia and they were empathetic with the situation....they called Best Western for us to get a refund, but Best Western refused to offer even a partial refund. I am so disappointed in their customer service and lack of empathy and understanding. We will not give Best Western any future business. I have worked in customer service for decades and there are always exceptions to policies....but obviously not for Best Western...even if injuries are involved. My recommendation is to stay in a hotel chain that actually cares about their customers, unlike Best Western, who cares only about making money at any cost. So sad...

The rooms are comfortable and a reasonable size. I had a fridge and microwave which I especially want if staying for a longer period of time. It was easy to find. The internet service was good. The breakfast and service was fantastic. Thank you!!

worst hotel stay ever, and i have been to many different hotel for hockey tournaments and nothing ever happened like this. A very nice lady at the front desk kicked out the people at the pool that were in there for almost 4 hours to let us in. The people she kicked out almost broke the doors then came in yelling claiming they were racist cause they kicked them out for us to go in. The cops were called. The manager also babied out and left the building and left a innocent woman at the front desk to deal with it. whole night was ruined, we asked for a refund and the manager was a complete jerk about it. Never ever go to this hotel. The "A/C" kept going up and down so it was hot and cold on and off throughout the night. The hallway smelt like weed and their was music blasting. After the people left the pool was not clear anymore and there was hair all in the pool.

Nothing worked not even phone. Loud parties until all hours of night. People living there and walking around no shoes and in pajamas. Whole place dirty and rundown. Smell of smoke everywhere. Wouldn't be surprised if drug deals happening

We stayed here this past weekend for a basketball tournament. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was nice enough. I did notice the chair was stained on the seat cover, but other than that, the room was in good shape. The fridge/freezer and microwave in the room were clean and worked well. I did think it was odd that there were only 3 pillows on each bed. So if you share a bed, someone gets 2 and someone else gets 1. The pillows were not full sized either, and they were square, not rectangle. If I were to stay here again, I would bring my own pillow. The corridor floors were a bit creaky, which was not a problem, but an indication of the age of the property. We did enjoy breakfast both days. The ladies in the breakfast area worked super hard to keep everything replenished and clean. The hotel was pretty full this weekend and it was not an easy task to keep up with food for the guests. They have to prepare the food in a room the size of a closet though and I felt bad for them because if they had a more efficient area to prepare things, I think their job would be easier. The food was good though and we appreciated their efforts. My only complaint was that there was not really a place for groups to "hang out." The staff did allow us to use the breakfast area one evening but unfortunately there are guest rooms nearby and while there were only 7 adults in there and we were honestly just talking, but it was too loud and we had to disperse. We didn't mind because we didn't want to disturb any guests, but a lot of hotels do not have guest rooms near the breakfast or common area and groups can hang out a bit more. Overall, we had a good stay and would consider staying here again.

The staff at this location is exceptional from the manager to the cleaning people. They are always willing to go to the extra mile to make sure the stay goes well. I stay at a lot of hotels where I feel like fast food. I never feel that way at this location, it makes a difference

After fighting the traffic through Boston and a cold rainy day, we were ready to get off the road. The choice of this hotel was a wise one from the beginning when the desk clerk welcomed us and arranged quickly for a room. The room gave us plenty of room with lots of outlets for charging equipment and a laundry room.

After staying at several hotels in the area, we've come to find this one like a little family with the comforts of home. All the workers are kind and go out of their way to make every guest happy. Xiomara was awesome also and the manager Brian was a gentleman and even got our son whole milk at breakfast. Love these guys.

Let me just say, I've never written a review like this. I feel it is necessary unfortunately. My son and I stayed here while visiting family and visiting a college. We've stayed a few times but have seen the place decline in the last few years. We've had to move rooms 4 Times. The 1st, there was no heat in the room. The front desk lady didn't believe it so she came up and witnessed it. She then went back downstairs to get a key for another room and when she opened the door for the new room it smelled like marijuana. Enough so that they had an air filter in the room to clear it out. In fact, the halls often smell like marijuana. I have no problem with anyone smoking but I personally do not want to pay to stay in a place and smell it. The 3rd room the neighbors stayed up all night and banged on the wall. After taking all we could, we called them and they moved us to a room where the ceiling started leaking. Went to the front desk and the clerk called the manager and I heard him say “It can wait til the morning. Tell them to have a good night” I became so upset that I had to call the non emergency police number to help keep the peace. After hearing me yelling, many customers said to me that the place “is a dump” and “has gone down hill”. Needless to say I will be contacting the corporate office as soon as possible and will never ever again stay here. You definitely get what you pay for and my advice is to not take a chance on staying.

Those on the staff at this hotel go out of their way to get to know their guests, and to make them just as welcome and comfortable as can be. At the time of check-in, at breakfast in the morning, and again with the offer of a glass of wine at the end of a long day, the staff is there with a smile and a kind word. The hotel itself does show signs of wear, but is clean and comfortable. One suggestion might be to ask for a room at the end of the hallway away from the main road - as the sound of the traffic can prove to be bothersome.

Set on State Road next to historical motels, Best Western Dartmouth is the future of this area. I stayed for a 6 night business trip and will definitely make this hotel my choice for value hotel in the area. Excellent internet connection, Residence Inn worthy breakfast with scrambled eggs and meat every morning. Clean room with fridge and good cable tv. Nice shower pressure. The staff is great. Brian, the manager, works hard and runs a great business. The hotel is lucky to have him. Cask and Pig Kitchen and Alehouse across the street is very good. Great visit to New England. Pats!

Hotel was very clean, profession employees, great breakfast. Our room was right in front of the elevator and at night many times when people got off it, they would stand and talk for a while, this is not a problem of the hotel but of inconsiderate guests.

I stay at this hotel sometimes to visit my son at Umass Dartmouth. Over the past year the customer service has really improved. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is nice. The free breakfast is excellent. It's about 20 to 30 dollars cheaper than the Marriott. I would recommend staying there.

We spent half a night at Dartmouth's Best Western Hotel - half a night because we had to get up at some unearthly hour to get to check-in for our flight from Boston's Logan Airport. But it was very good, very clean and very comfortable with very polite and kindly staff. Bravo!

Brian the GM and Cortney the front desk manager could not have been more friendly or helpful. Felt like family there. The hotel is pleasantly located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants nearby. The person in charge of the breakfast was not only friendly but efficient. Food was hot and plentiful. Would certainly stay there again if in the area.

On a trip that included stays in Boston, Cape Cod and Newport, Rhode Island, this hotel was disappointing on several levels. First of all, the roll-away bed that was supplied was not fit for even an animal to lay on, it was nothing but thin fabric and springs. Had to resort to putting another thin mattress on top with blankets to make it somewhat sleep-able. These need to be replaced. I would hate to see a child having to endure sleeping on one of these. The hotel is undergoing renovation and it needs it. The outside was dirty and not inviting. There isn't much around as far as a view -- Capri Motel next door and a Chinese Restaurant across the street. I do have to say that the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was not ready when we arrived around 3 pm. There was a great deal of confusion as to the room we were getting. The key didn't work to the first room, the maid tried a key to a second room (it was occupied) and finally we landed in the room we stayed in. We had booked to stay here 2 nights -- we cancelled the second night and went elsewhere. In a pinch it would be ok, but if you are looking for a nice hotel for the money, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere (at least until the renovation and upgrading is done). I do hope they are renovating the rooms and not just the lobby. Breakfast was ok. So overall, of but not great.

My room smelled a musty and the carpet was wet. They had a big old box fan on the floor and the heat was on in the room (but it was 70 degrees outside). The service was great, and the breakfast was amazing. There is no hot tub, just a pool, and it was filled with children yelling so we didn't get to use it. Overall it was not worth the price I had to pay for the night.

I stayed at the Best Western with a wedding group, and I would not recommend it. There are a few positives: It is conveniently located and the staff is friendly. But the positives are far out-weighed by the negatives. This property looks tired from the outside and inside. Our room was dark, dank, and very stuffy. It smelled like mildew and cigarette smoke. The curtain was falling down, and there were stains on the bathroom tile. Our room was on the 1st floor and it was very noisy, being near the breakfast area and across from the pool. There were areas in the process of renovation (the fitness room, for one), so I hope that more will be done. Our room rate was reasonable, but given what we got, I wish we had spent a little more and stayed elsewhere.

The breakfast area was littered with crumbs. The floor was dirty. Our room was not cleaned. There was a discussion about when we removed our “do not disturb” sign. Would not adjust room rate for no cleaning. Noisy, lots of families. Our air conditioner leaked. The carpet was soaking wet. The pool key card was broken and the handicapped lift into pool was not working. Trying a different hotel next visit.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with another couple and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly always tending to your needs whenever you need something. Brian is the most friendly person you can ever know - he is everywhere in the hotel and works extremely hard to make sure everyone is happy. Tawanna and Courtney were super employees as well always with a smile - The breakfast was very nice with friendly girls running it every morning - There is a lot to choose from and the coffee is really good. Rooms are a little dated but very clean - bathrooms look newly renovated .Wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel. We had everything we needed - Thank you to the super employees running it !!!!!

We spent the night of August 21 2018 in this hotel. Check in was easy, but the room we got leaked rain water into the air conditioner and into the room. Upon inspection, there is black mold at the top of the wall and ceiling, and the wallpaper was falling off the wall. It was obvious that this situation had been going on for quite some time. I'm never going to sleep in any room with black mold, so I requested another room. We had to change floors, and the 2nd floor made creaking sounds and I could feel the plywood sagging in a few places. Room 217 did not have a fridge or microwave. And there was no toilet paper holder. The room beside us had 4 children that screamed throughout the night. Overall, not our best stay. Hopefully the remodel will address the leaks and floor issues. In the meantime, I suggest you look elsewhere.

The room was clean and comfortable except for some mold in the air conditioner vents but there was no bad odor. The walls are a bit thin as I heard the person snoring next door but other than that, our stay was excellent. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and offered many choices. The girl serviceing the breakfast area was very nice and helpful to all guests. We were only a short ride into Newport so location was good. We will definitely return when in the area.

Staff is friendly, breakfast offered good but the hotel has water problems! Our room smelled musty when first entering. After a day away, we came back to our rug saturated, window sill soaked and ceiling with large wet spot! Mold is probably growing in wall and under rug because this probably wasn't the first time. I heard other people complaining of same problem in their rooms.... People with respiratory problems would not do well staying here!

The only reason I didn't give this place 1 star was because people seemed to try. But the place is dated and it shows. Frankly, I'm surprised that Best Western let's them get away with it. The best part was the convenience to the places we wanted to go. It's equidistant between Woods Hole and Newport. The noise from the highway was annoying and would be even if this were a 5-Star property. I wouldn't stay here again.

I have stayed at multiple Best Western property in past and can say this is the worst managed property. Manager had excuse for all the problems me and my fellow visitors reported on our stay and he didn't resolve any to our satisfaction. - Elevator certificate was expired 4 months back - bathroom flush was not flushing properly - room was not cleaned when we checked in - bathroom door was not closing. - you can hear noise from next room. Quality of room was very bad - hotel staff not responsive.

Friendly staff, but the quality of the hotel is very bad. It is old and not modern in any way. Bathrooms especially need a renovation. The rooms are not cleaned properly at all and it was dirty at check in. No soap or shampoo or anything available. The carpet was very dirty and needed a vacuum. Lots of black hair on the bathroom floor and in the sink. The staff tried to help but no good....

Son and I spent night here before he began orientation at UMass Dartmouth. Some lousy plumbing issues in the early morning became a real problem and when they weren't fixed by the time I returned in the afternoon, and the hotel was booked solid, so I packed up to leave. At this point, the Gen'l Manager came up with a great solution and my second night was great. Quiet room on the 3rd floor. Hotel is close to UMass Dartmouth as well as easy access to food, shopping and tourist destinations. Thanks to Britnee and Brian (Hope I got that right) for their excellent service and care. Britnee provided some great options for eating out - keeping the rest of the list for next time. UMass Dartmouth discount.

The Best Western in North Dartmouth has been redone to a nice standard but what really stands out are the employees. One particular employee “Courtney” is a shinning star. His helpfulness and politeness are far above the norm. Made our stay very pleasant.

The folks here are very nice - but, there isn't enough of them. Rooms aren't cleaned well, daily room cleaning not provided, busy breakfast area (good) maintained by one person (who's good). Rooms are dated, a bit dinged up, and need are bare (need more furniture).

Stayed here for three nights on business. Would not have been my choice accommodations but options were limited and I thought I might give it a shot from pics and descriptions. The first thing I noticed is that the pool wasn't working and that wasn't listed anywhere on the site when booking. When I got in my room was surprised to see there was no phone as I needed to contact the front desk because my tv remote was not working. I called from my cellphone and the front desk was very attentive to my issue. Remote was replaced but I still didn't have a working tv but was too exhausted to contact the front desk again. The next morning I informed the front desk of the issue at around 7:30am and was told it would be taken care of, however when I returned 12 hours later still had issues. They eventually just replaced the entire tv and remote to fix the problem. Iron in room also didn't work. Overall ok stay but wouldn't stay here again as there were a few other small issues. Breakfast room staff as well as the front desk staff were all very nice and addressed any issues promptly I think the property itself needs an overhaul.

This was our first stay at this hotel and may very well be our last! Upon checking in and being given our room keys, we were unable to actually get into our room as the keys didn't work. We were then moved to a different room. When we opened the door, the room temperature was very hot. The thermostat didn't work correctly, so I turned off the heating system and opened the window for ventilation and to cool off the room. When we returned to the room the next day after being out all day, the room keys wouldn't work. We got the keys re-programmed and discovered our room hadn't been serviced that day. Wired Internet service was good; wireless much less so. Breakfast was satisfactory both mornings we were there. Front desk staff was very professional, friendly, and accommodating of our problems. Overall facility cleanliness left much to be desired. The pool was closed for maintenance. One of the stairways was closed due to structural concerns, a serious safety issue.

This property was highly recommended for our group, but was a serious disappointment. Our group arrived late on Friday, and immediately encountered problems with rooms, keys, heating, etc. Problems with keys continued into Sunday morning. Housekeeping was not efficient, and at least 2 rooms were without washcloths. My room was nearly midnight getting washcloths and one of the other rooms didn't get them until the next morning after 2 phone calls. The beds were not comfortable and there didn't seem to be a pillow on the bed that was comfortable either. The bathroom was cold and there was no warm it up. There was no ventilation either. As for the room heat, it was very noisy. The positive was the breakfast buffet, which great. The waffle iron was definitely a plus, Children running around over head after 10 pm was uncalled for, although I do understand them having extra energy,but having quiet time would be great. Over all, I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made. The only modernization noted was the shower stall and bathroom counter. While I have stayed in worse, this property was not what I am accustomed to with Best Western.

The rooms at this hotel have no insulation, so you hear every word the people in the next room or the hall are saying. It was like there was no wall at all! The continental breakfast was very skimpy, the room wasn't clean. Not at all up to the standards of other Best Westerns. There are other motels in the Dartmouth/Westport that would be much better.

They have some of the most comfortable beds we have ever stayed on! I know that comfort is subjective to everyone, but most hotel beds are really hard and cause issues with my back, this one did not. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast very good. I would recommend this Inn to any one.

We were surprised when our room included a sitting area, which gave us room to spread out. The beds were comfortable. Our only complaint is the low lighting (there were no light fixtures near the couch for reading) and the bulb wattage was a little lower than needed (seems to be a theme in motels). Overall, we would recommend Best Western Dartmouth Inn.

Alarms going off...faulty wiring...scary. To stop the alarm, carbon monoxide, you had to turn on the light on the bed stand. Ac unite did not work properly, and no water pressure. Noise from the room upstairs...someone walking back and forth half the nite, pounding their feet as they walked.

Front desk people were very helpful and friendly. Cleaning staff did great job.Breakfast attendants were terrific and social. Room was well maintained although the walls are a bit thin and you can hear noise coming from rooms next door and from hallway. Didn't care for pillows but bed was decent. Overall it was worth the money and had a good stay and was centrally located for what I had to accomplish. Would stay again.

The location is on a busy road but don't let that dissuade you. The staff has been well-trained and they are among the friendliest we have known. The rooms are very clean, smell good, and have all the basics. We left our w.c. night light by mistake, but wish ALL BW's would have these. We hope to return some day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The desk clerk helped us with choices on where to eat dinner. Very nice breakfast with hot items. One day they had sausage. The next day they had bacon. Eggs and hash browns were available each day. Clean rooms. The hotel was close to the Lizzie Borden house and close to Fall River. Very enjoyable stay.

This hotel is located about four minutes from UMass Dartmouth and just a couple of minutes from a variety of places to eat and shop. The free breakfast is good and the offerings include everything from fresh fruit and yogurt to eggs, sausage patties, and make-your-own Belgian waffles. The juices are a bit watered down from the machine, but there is always water, milk, and coffee options. I will surely be going to stay there many more times over the course of the next couple of years.

Very comfortable bed and the room could fit a family, there is only one indoor swimming pool and gym, the dining area is kind of small, parking lot got crowded at night I will come back again mostly because of the location it's in the middle of downtown Boston and Martha's vineyard.

We stayed at BW Dartmouth Inn July 14-July16. The hotel itself was clean,neat and welcoming. The front desk employees were always helpful. The breakfast staff Dylan and Rose were outstanding. They were always busy making sure everything was always full, coming up and asking if there was anything I needed. Speaking to them you could tell that both employees took quality service extremely seriously. They were always pleasant and enjoyed what they were doing. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent service and staff. Room was clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. Bed was reasonably comfortable, firm and not sagging. Sheets were good and pillows we're comfortable and plentiful.for our king sized bed. The room had it's own in wall heat/AC unit that was quiet on low speed fan (my Geek moment was using the sound meter app to measure it at 28 decibels). The staff (Christy at check-in and Jamal at checkout) were super friendly and helpful for local information. The young lady running breakfast was really efficient and very busy keeping up with setting an excellent breakfast and keeping everything clean and cleared. It was an excellent stay at this Best Western. I'll note that the pool looked inviting and the recent renovation really show nicely in the rooms and the rest of the facility. Excellent value at this level of hotel.

The hotel is next to a run down motel in, what appears to be, the outskirts of town. It looked worn/old on the inside. Our room was typical but, was not properly stocked. We were missing bath towels, tissues, and cups. The front desk did replace them for us, but it was inconvenient. The elevator had an issue and sounded like it was going to break. The breakfast room was very small and crowded. My room was next to the fire exit stairwell, which I had to hear slam shut all night. It is alongside a road with no sidewalks, so no place to take a walk. I would not return.

except when I checked into my room, there was only 2 hand towels...that's it. No bath towels, no wash cloths. Totally unacceptable. Other than that most things were pretty good. Room was quiet, A/C worked as it should, room was dark for sleeping, bed comfortable enough. TV didn't work all that well (noisy screen, probably satellite service), parking is a little cramped. Breakfast was typical hotel free breakfast fare, but attendant was extremely pleasant. Beyond that some inconsiderate guests, but that doesn't factor into this rating.

Stay here 2 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great as well with a nice selection of food. All that was good but that is where it ends. The room air conditioners didn't dehumidify the rooms so everything felt damp bedding and all. The place needs a good cleaning. The walls were so thin we could hear the couple next door and they weren't just talking at 2:00am. You could hear their TV as well plainly through the walls. We got no sleep, left extra early to get out of there. Also the printer in the business center doesn't work. Thankfully the employee printed boarding passes for me. I used Best Western points and glad I didn't spend money on this place. Would recommend you check out other places in the area before ever considering this Best Western. It was unlike any other Best Western we have ever stayed at and we have stayed in many of them. Very sup par compared to other Best Westerns.

We had the two bedroom suite. King bed in one room, queen bed in second room, full kitchen, sleeper sofa in living room. One bathroom. The space allowed us to spread out. Nice inside pool. Breakfast had sausage, eggs, potatoes, pastries, bagels, cereal, boiled eggs and yougart. Laundry has one washer and dryer. It is an older hole so is a little noisy but clean. Wifi worked great. This is our first time here for our golfing break. We had seen and read reviews for the hotel by we were still surprised by the quality of the hotel staff and golf course! The staff here were friendly and helpful at check in. The building should probably be demolished. The floors were all warped. Our room door (only one of the keys would work) was tough to open because of the bulging floor. The bed was extremely lumpy and bowed in the middle. The pillows were wonderful.

I got a great rate of $40 at the hotel because of a group, but $40 is probably the most I would've paid. I stayed on the 3rd floor in a double bed room. The room was alright, no closet and very loud toilet when you flush it. Going on the 3rd floor also meant that I had to take the elevator. The inspection certificate expired in march or April of LAST YEAR! The elevator was horrible and no doubt would probably fail it's next inspection (if the hotel ever calls the company to inspect it). Where everything was at the hotel was a little weird too, everything was on the first floor for amenities except the conference room and business center which were on opposite sides of the second floor, and the second floor has little support on it. If one person jumped on the second floor, they would probably fall. The hotel definitely needs some renovations. Also, the pool was closed when I went so I can't say anything about it.

We stayed at this hotel twice in the past month. Staff was exceptional, and the pool is sparkling clean. The beds were a little hard, but everything else was really great. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was complementary and had a wide variety of choices. Dylan, the chef, was young and enthusiastic. He took great care of us, and was so friendly and people oriented. I work with teens and young adults, and rarely have seen someone with this level of work ethic and professionalism at his age. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and look forward to going back again. This hotel is very close to UMass Dartmouth, and we are so happy to have found a home away from home while our daughter attends college there.

Stayed here 2 times. One for a week. Staff was nice. Waited forever to get my room. Booked online and there systems were down. That should have popped up when booking the room. I was upset that's not my problem. They should have roomed me right away and delt with that issue and let me know once they figured it all out. I don't feel like I should have sat there while they made phone calls. There evelator has been expired from a check since last year. Very unsafe. I told someone about it. I go back giving them another chance. Which I should have never done because the elevator was still not inspected and my room keys get all messed up. Had to go back and forth downstairs to 3 times. They fixed it but still didn't make things okay. They were friendly people. I will not go back there until I know that the elevator is updated. I am willing to give only one more chance for them and I hope they can prove me wrong next time.

This hotel is a great place to stay. The staff is very helpful. They quickly attend to any problems. When our room heater stopped working we reported it to the front desk and the maintenance man was there in minutes, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed.

If we hadn't prepaid for the nights we would have relocated. The front desk help is nice but not extremely helpful, we checked in having reserved a top floor room and received a 1st floor, when we asked to get the room we reserved we were told that they didn't have the authority to change it. When I asked when the manager would be on duty, our room was quickly changed. Loud, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything and I mean everything in the next three rooms around you. They also stack rooms, meaning there were two other patrons in the hotel two of the five nights we stayed and they put them next us on both sides, did i mention the walls are paper thin. Breakfast was okay. Pool and workout room were okay but not great, no Jacuzzi. Location easy to get to but hard to find entrance, where it is overgrown, and hard to see going 50 mph.

This was not my favourite hotel on our road trip round New England. It's in serious need of a refresh and update. There's also nowhere to get anything to eat or drink and we had to resort to a Walmart picnic for dinner. The bedroom walls are paper thin and I could hear the man in the next room talking on his phone, I actually heard his conversation. The room was a good size and the bed was clean.

My family and I were staying here for a family wedding. A large block of rooms were booked for this. We called many times during the day to request an early check in, but were not able to secure this. No big deal, as regular check in would give us plenty of time to get ready. When we arrived to check in, we were told that no rooms were available. It was not until 4pm, (1 hour before we had to leave for the wedding) that we were able to get into our rooms. Chrissy at the front desk was extremely rude throughout the wait. The worst part of this stay was the fact that none of the staff would take ownership of the issue. Everyone continuously gave excuses as to why they couldn't help and why it was not their fault. Upon checkout, we were offered either Best Western Points for another stay, or an adjustment to be made the next day. After a week and a half of follow up, I had received no such adjustment, nor had I received a follow up call. It wasn't until I finally completed my Best Western survey that I finally received an email from the General Manager. Even she did not take ownership, or allow me to fully voice my frustrations. You may pay more to stay elsewhere, but if you need to be checked in before dinner, expect to be treated with respect, or want to be able to speak with a manager should a problem arise, Pay It!

Stayed here, last minute on a trip to Newport when we needed a reasonably priced accommodation for one night before our stay at rather pricey Newport hotel. There is a somewhat dreary feel to the lobby and hallways, dark and not particularly welcoming but nothing specifically wrong. King room was spacious and clean although equally dark. The bed was not comfortable - very hard, and the sheets were very low thread count and quite worn. Towels also low quality. Included breakfast in the morning was sad. The scrambled eggs were watery - likely reconstituted - and inedible. Even the no-name ketchup couldn't save them. Sausages were pale and extremely unappetizing. Best bet might be cereal which we tried - but was a little stale. We took coffee and left. I give it three stars instead of two because it was clean and that's most important but I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't repeat.

A very nice and comfortable place, it is out of the town. This hotel is about 10 minutes from shopping malls and a good choice for places to eat. A nice pool and nice place for breakfast. One problem is when you travel back to the hotel at night, you must be carefull or we pass by.

I made a contact with this hotel for my daughter's wedding on Labor day and it was a disaster. The place is completely mismanaged. I had a wedding contract and booked two rooms for ourselves and got a confirmation. Two days before the wedding I called to change a reservation on one of the rooms and was told that I have no rooms and there is nothing they can do for me. One of the representatives said she just came back from a leave and does not know anything, another said looking into a computer" I don't know what is going on here. You need to call tomorrow and talk to a hotel manager". I did and I've never experienced such a rude hotel manager in my life and I travel a lot on business in US and abroad. She was disrespectful, rude, talked over me and later when my daughter called she would not let he put a word in. She did not know where the contract was in her computed and she was the one who handled the contact!!!!! I gave them all the business for that weekend - they were booked only for that one night of our wedding and I was the one who was insulted and disrespected and had to book the rooms in another hotel for a higher price. In addition our wedding guests told me that other rooms reservations were also messed up, one woman got three rooms under her and two other guests were left without a room. Upon check there was a lot of confusion with the names and confirmations. We called the headquarters and they said they will talk to us and see what they can do and guess what? After speaking with co-owner and his promise to call me back, no conversation happened. So, it is a Best Western policy I guess to hide from their customers and hope customers give up. I will contact headquarters again. I regret I gave this place my business.

Staff is average as far as friendliness; rooms are very clean, appointments pretty good and beds exceptionally comfortable. No noise issue and there is a heated pool. This BW was on a bridal list for lodging and we were quite pleased. The front desk staff made helpful suggestions (Dickie's for clamcakes and nearby stores) and answered our many questions. Many thanks to Monika for always smiling. Cookies, coffee, and tea were always available. The hotel is not the newest which accounts for generous size rooms and only a refrigerator. To me, it looked at though it had gone through a remodel since carpet wasn't stained. The air conditioner was the quietest we've experienced. I do wish the window had a privacy sheer in addition to the curtains. We heard no road noise. Our party enjoyed the clean dining room and good food options which were constantly refilled. I enjoyed making a breakfast sandwich, my husband and friend dined on Belgian waffles, and there were numerous choices for all family members. A sign said gluten free options were available upon request. This location was perfect since we spent the majority of our time in the New Bedford area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night to sleep between our trip from Newport, RI to Cape Cod. The hotel was in a good lovation with lots of stores and restaurants down the street. Parking lot was safe overnight. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly especially at the main desk. Check in and check out were quick and easy. The breakfast that was included was really good! They had a good variety of food like eggs, sausage, cereal, a waffle maker, fruit, juices, and muffins/bagels/Danish. The 24 hour cookies and coffee were good too. We did look at the pool and it looked nice but we didn't use it. The room itself was clean but kind of outdated. There was a funky smell in our room (not sure if it was cleaning products?) but we were too tired to complain about it. We didn't notice it after a while anyway. Bed was comfy, pillows could have been bigger and more firm. The walls were paper thin which was the biggest annoyance. We heard some of our neighbors doors opening and closing which I think is typical hotel noise anyway, but we got woken up at 630AM due to our neighbors conversation on the phone...we heard everyword loud and clear. Overall, the hotel was a fine stay for that one night.

This hotel has a good breakfast, silent place, big rooms and very good internet speed. It has a good location and it is very clean. The price is good for what you have. They have a inside pool and a fitness center which I didn't use because we didn't have time to.

No hot water. No attempt to resolve problem. Terrible mattress. Room had terrible smell. Front desk was told about hot water problem at 9:00am and when we returned at 2:00pm, we were told she didn't have the time to look into it. Had to request aerosol spray to get odor out of room.

People at the front desk were very helpful. Very easy checkin. The lobby had cookies fruit and donuts. There was also 24 hour brewed coffee and decaf 24 hours. The room was very large with a king bed and 2 armchairs, and a desk. Large clean bathroom also. The price was very good and the motel was full. Very good breakfast included with french toast, eggs, bagels, toast,, rolls and muffins.

Hotel was nice, Front Desk employees were very helpful. Check-in was quick and the room was adequate. I stayed in room # 101 and after checking in and unpacking I noticed that it seemed a bit warm in the room. The digital readout said the room temp was 74. I adjusted the setting down to 68. I checked it after an hour and it was still 74. I made sure I set it to 68 again and the temp in the room never changed from 74. If I was staying more than 1 night I would have had to switch rooms. Other than this one issue everything else was fine.

This hotel serves a great breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, French toast, breads, fruit, cereal and yogurt. They also have grab bags for those who must check out early. They serve chocolate chip cookies in the evening. The rooms are clean. Customer service and staff here are efficient and respectful. They also have an indoor pool. Everything is clean and comfortable

You guys were great! We were there for a CrossFit comp. There was very little outside noise and sleep disturbance, it was great! The parking was accommodations were great as well not having to park a million miles away from our cars. Also, the front desk clerk gave us waters on the way out because she saw we were on our way to the comp. thank you for everything!!!

Our family of 5 stayed there one night on our way from NY to the North. The place is very conveniently located close to the Cape Cod bay where we went to watch whales. Monika and her team were extremely welcoming and eager to help in any way, which made our short stay very pleasant and relaxing. The rooms are large, well equipped and very clean. The indoor pool provided great relaxation after the drive and there's plenty of dining options around. Thumbs up for the warm welcome and dedication to making customers feel at home!

We travel in our retirement and often stay at BW properties. For the area, BW Dartmouth Inn is a clean, comfortable, and affordable property for anyone visiting or doing business in the New Bedford/Mattapoisett/Dartmouth area. Our first room while clean and comfortable, had a television with snowy reception at best and a very slow drain in the shower. Because we were staying for several days, we accepted the management's offer to change our room. The remainder of the stay was most pleasant. The breakfast room was well kept. The pool was refreshing. The fitness area had enough equipment to keep my husband happy. The staff is attentive. Had we not experienced the problems on the first night, our rating would have been excellent rather than the very good.

a very friendly reception greeted us( which is something I look for in this country!) Room was clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom clean. The indoor pool was a bonus although my family said it was a little cold. having a refrigerator was a plus too so we could freeze some drinks for our long journey the next day ! Breakfast was excellent too. definitely would stay here again

The Best Western Dartmouth is where we most often stay while in the area. It's close to UMass-Dartmouth, where my son went to school, and easy on/off access to I - 195. They serve a hot breakfast and there's a nice selection for everyone.

So who stays in hotel in their hometown? Me! Plumbing Emergency to be exact, but the air conditioning was a plus since the heat index was over 100 degrees. But that's not why I'm writing this. I always wondered why the parking lot here was always packed, but now I know. This place is awesome, from check in, to comfy bed, nice toiletries, and a pretty darn good breakfast. Great reception on the television, and since we were NOT on vacation that was a plus for us. Plus, the room had both a refrigerator and a microwave. Absolutely would stay here again in a heartbeat.

stayed for one night to visit family in the Fall River area before heading to Newport, room was clean, spacious breakfast fine, staff pleasant, no complaints until check out i had redeemed Amex rewards points to secure a $100 Best Western gift card to use towards the room cost with tax which totaled $140.73 i handed the card to the gal at the front desk she was clueless as how to apply the gift card gift card to the guest folio, assured me it would be applied and then checked me out, I receive my Amex bill and see i was charged the fill $140.73 to my card, and no $100 credit was applied, i emailed the hotel and the property manager Lind Avylla repied showing that the $100 was applied to the room folio leaving the $40.73 as correct charge. 3 months later my AMEX card still has not been credited the $100 credit due. after a repeated email to the hotel manager no reply, well for sure i will be looking at staying at the Residence Inn next time im in North Dartmouth

Stayed at the Best Western in North Dartmouth for 4 nights. The room was spacious and clean. The complementary breakfast was well maintained from 6:30 to 9:30. The walls are rather 'thin'.... as you can hear guests in adjoining rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again!

We were surprised that the bathroom had no exhaust fan for clearing up the moisture after showering. Also, there was very little water pressure when showering; made a simple task like rinsing your hair take twice as long. Would have liked to see healthier options with breakfast, like a fresh fruit salad or whole wheat/whole grain breads.

We visited family in the area around the 4th of July and this hotel offered the best bang for the buck. It is very conveniently located and looks nice. The room was clean and the AC worked very well. The walls were a little thinner than I expected but didn't interfere with sleeping. The complimentary breakfast was good, the eggs weren't from powder and they have a waffle station with whip cream. The staff was very pleasant and call right after we left to tell us we forgot a USB charging cable in the room. I would recommend the hotel, we'll stay there again.

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are of decent size with nice amenities. Communicate with cleaning staff for best service. Located off a busy highway, but not a problem. Good selection of eating sites not that far away. The breakfast time is a nice offering with a good selection.

This is my third time here. The room is large and clean. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioning works nicely. The fridge is cold! The wifi is good. The staff is awesome. But--there is no security lock on my door, one trash can, and the pool is loaded with chemicals. It can be noisy. The traffic is loud on route 6 and driving on it can be terrifying. There is not anything remotely resort-like about this location. For work, it's good.

The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate except for the juices and coffee which were dreadful. The waffles were better than at many higher end hotels we've been to. The staff was friendly and very competent. It was a good value and we would return again if we were in the area.

We had the best service from a best western I have EVER had. ALL employees were so nice and helpful. We were even able to do laundry here. Score us. We were traveling the New England states and just needed to do some laundry to continue with the trip. The prices were reasonable for laundry and they have soap and fabric softener in hand. The morning breakfast had eggs, sausages, your own waffle maker, bagels, breads, milks, fruit, juices, water, and coffee. Lots of seats to sit and chocolate chips with the waffle maker. I would stay here again for sure. Rooms are neat and clean.

My friend and I were taking a workshop at nearby UMass-Dartmouth. Although I had booked the hotel online, once the receptionist heard we were there to attend something at UMass, she offered us a special discounted rate provided for the college for a Standard Room . Since I normally go for Superior or Deluxe Rooms, I was a little worried about what the quality of a Standard Room might be, but since we were not planning on spending much time in the room, we decided to go for it. The receptionist easily and cheerfully adjusted my reservation (thereby reducing our cost by almost half!) and offered to see if an upgraded room was available. It wasn't but I was pleasantly surprised with the size and quality of the Standard Room - I have no complaints! Everything in the room was clean and in working order. The internet was a breeze to connect to and was only sometimes a little slow. I was also amazed at the selection, quality and quantity of the breakfast buffet. My only complaint of my entire stay here was that the juices offered in the machine of the breakfast buffet were very obviously watered down. They were not juice. With everything else being so good, that was an odd thing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone attending anything at UMass - it was a very convenient 5-10 trip away. It was also very convenient to the entire Southern Mass coastal area, especially New Bedford.

The front staff was very nice. Our room was adequate size. The cleaning staff was not great. Very noisy first floor room. The bed was not very comfortable. No microwave in the room, but there is a mini fridge. Television was very snowy.

It was okay. Woman who checked me in could of been a little more friendly. Her tone when telling me "This is a non smoking facility so don't smoke or your gonna pay $250" Um okay Room was clean. Pool was full of children - looked like a birthday party of some sort. Breakfast was basic. Woman who handled my check out was much nicer and made small talk.

We were very pleased with this motel as our choice to be near a family graduation ceremony. We visited nearby Portuguese and American style restaurants that had value and great food. The pool and hotel lobby provided locations for family fun.

Having stayed at this hotel before, we selected it due to lower rate. Many of the other small hotels in the area either had no vacancy or the rate was $160-$190, too high. Booked through Priceline, walked in and got our room. Originally on the 3rd floor, we asked for the first floor. DO NOT GET ROOM 101 - it is nice, but it is next door to the kitchen - very noisy starting at 0600! I would recommend room 114 which is at the end of the hall. The staff was nice, the room was comfortable and convenient to all we needed in Dartmouth, including the UPS facility to pickup a package. Harley Davidson, the Dartmouth Mall and Shaw's grocery are just down the street. And just a couple of miles away is Buttonwood Park and Zoo - truly worth your time when visiting. Bonus is just off the freeway, I-195, but tucked back so you would not know if not familiar with the area.

Where do I start! First off they have risen their prices tremendously which is completely not worth it. This hotel is surrounded by disgusting motels, and not to mention they are located right next door from a well known disgusting motel in which they basically share a parking lot with. The location is by far not worth prices of 125+ daily..... I'm sorry it isn't worth the same rates as there other locations in which I've stayed... Greed and poor judgment on there behalf... Secondly, the amount of rude staff members (front fest specifically) most certainly over weigh the polite professional staff, but in all honesty due to their location the rude unprofessional staff seems expected. I have never been rude to personally but have seen front seat speak to customers in a manner where I'd would not allow my employees to speak to them. Customer service trainings is what's needed for some of their employees. As I checked in I was told this is a "non smoking room so I suggest you do not smoke it won't be worth it" who in the world says that to a adult? I am aware it's non smoking that is what I booked!!! I am aware of the meaning of non smoking. Third, i came down for breakfast one morning and it was put away at 930am !!!!!!!! By far the first hotel that offers breakfast till 930am??? But I guess pinching every dime of their customers what this location is about. I'm glad front fest was more concerned about explaining the definition of non smoking instead of advising customers that breakfast here ends at 930am, it's a don't ask don't tell policy here apparently or maybe I should have researched, but one would expect to be given the level of customer service from the besternwestern. Lastly, the walls are extremely thin so your privacy is close to non. If anyone has read the review responses from management it shows clearly the level of rudeness, ignorance and pure disrespect for how they value their customers. I have stayed here quit a few times and this will be my last. It's clear due to the location that they are use to certain type of people because that is how they treat their customers. As if because one has chosen this location they are all the same. I was under the impression they would treat their customers in representation of the name of the company not the location....

Last year our stay was filled with complaints about the cleanliness of the lobby, halls and room. This stay was completely different. With the exception of a few small trash papers at the base of the shrubs. management has transformed the property. Rooms, hallways, lobby spotless - room amenities first class. The property is a great place to stay!

The hotel was nice and it was clean. There was plenty of parking. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The internet worked great. The bed was comfortable. They had free chocolate chip cookies. They were having bacon, eggs, sausage and more for breakfast. Unfortunately for us, we had to leave early so they gave a bag with fruit, water, and a breakfast bar. If in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

We were there for a very short time, but this is the fourth time we have stayed there and it is consistently good. The walls are a bit thin, so we could hear a lot from the room on either side of us.

I originally booked a 2-night stay but ended up only staying 1 night. Here's why: Room: When I entered the room, I checked for cleanliness (I always do). Bathroom was clean but it needed more lighting - a bit too dark. I uncovered the bed and I found hair on the bed - hair that could have attached to the sheets from the dryer - still gross. I didn't complain since I had plenty of other space to occupy. Everything else on the room seemed clean. Then, comes sleeping time. I could hear the guy next room clearing his throat and every time he coughs like he was using a megaphone. I can hear muffled voices and tv noise. The worst part was when I could hear the footsteps on the floor above me every time they get up to use the bathroom - I know because I can hear the toilet flush. As the person takes a step, my roof rumbles. This was the deal breaker for me. Breakfast: The eggs were very salty. the blueberry muffin I had was good. Coffee was good, too. I didn't get to use the pool or the fitness center but the pool looked enticing and the water was clear. When you walk into the hotel, the place looks cute. The lobby was presentable. I liked the lobby and breakfast dining area. On my way to the room, I passed the pool area.. the halls sublty smelled like feet. I think it's from the chlorine odor from the pool that never gets to air out. The halls are dark (but with lights, if that makes sense.). Staff: very friendly and accommodating. The waiter from the breakfast lounge (I don't know his name but he had black, curly hair) was cheerful and friendly. The receptionist, when I inquired about leaving a day early, was helpful. She explained what I needed to do to make sure that I will not be charged for the night that I didn't stay. The communication between staff were good. The General Manager checked me out and I didn't have to explain anything. The staff was wonderful but because the hotel is poorly made, I will not be going back, I would rather pay more at the Hampton Inn than come back here again.

Seem nice when walk it but not. My father said oh nice place had only one bad review.He must not scrolled down.If you want a room with nicely made bed ; Rude front desk workers ; Small pool; Nasty breakfast;Coke straw and sos pad from last person come hear.Atleast house keeping gave my extra towe.l felt like I was in a 2 chain video.When I was ready bring it to front desk attention lady just seemed to ignore me witch made me more upset so went back my room packed up left key on desk and left good thing was check out time anyway probably charged me for not bring key to front desk oh well.

So when you first enter the hotel, the lobby is cute, smells nice, cookies are always available. Going down the hall to the elevator, you get a whiff of the pool which is enticing. Upon entering the room, its clean, a little on the average side when it comes to cleanliness and décor. Small TV compared to most hotels I've stayed in, beds a little on the uncomfortable side...but All and all the room is worth what I paid for it..HOWEVER, the breakfast sucks! I stayed there a year ago and was not impressed and sadly its even gone down hill since then. The only reasonable thing to eat is the waffles, and when I got there (an hour before it ended) , there was not enough mix left in the batter container, to make a full waffle. I looked all around for someone to get more, but nobody was around. The juice is totally watered down, the eggs tasted like microwaved napkins and the pastries were low quality previously frozen stuff. Just yucky!

Arrived early in the morning after a long overnight drive and a large, clean comfortable room was waiting for me. A good breakfast and good coffee. Friendly efficient staff, nice warm pool- all in all a great place for a very reasonable price. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!

My stay here was good. The key cards I was given at check-in didn't work, and when I went back to the front desk. the woman working there was very professional and helpful. She apologized for my trouble, gave me new cards, and radioed a housekeeper to meet me at the room when I went back, to make sure the new key cards worked. I really appreciated that extra step, rather than sending me back and forth figuring out what was wrong. The room was clean and comfortable and had a coffee maker, fridge, ironing board & iron, hair dryer, flat screen TV, everything you need. Wifi was free and easy to use, and pretty fast. There is an elevator. The pool looked great but I didn't have time to use it. Even though there is a coffee maker in the room, I appreciate that there is coffee available in the lobby 24 hours, and hot water for hot chocolate or tea. And cookies! The floors throughout the hotel seemed kind of uneven, in the hallway and the room, but once you get used to that, everything else is fine. There is shopping and dining very close by. There are some closed businesses in the area, so I see why some people think the area is a little scary, but there's only one door in and out of the hotel, which is through the lobby that is staffed 24 hours, so I felt safe staying here on my own.

Booked 5 nights, rooms did not even get looked at until multiple requests and on day 3. Lots of parties and noise. The area is not very nice, a little scary really. The workout equipment was broken. Not happy for the price.

This Best western i have stayed at and i have been too many of them.Again thanks to the great front desk staff that helped me. The pool was warm and very clean and they take great care of it. Room was clean and very clean,plus the maids did a great job cleaning it and they where there when we needed anything. Lobby was very clean as well as the rugs in the hall way. I can't wait to stay there again it was a great 3 nights we where there thanks you all again.

ok, this place had its ups and downs.. lets start with the downs first...no hot water in the bathroom, the bathroom door did not close, could hear the noise above us and next door, and the best is... a family or couple decided to let their little tyke run around in the hall at 4AM knocking on doors, yelling HOUSEKEEPING... I assume I scared the crap out of him when I answered it in my Halloween costume.. FOR THE POSITIVE... the bed was comfy.. plenty of pillows.. however this was the only best western that didn't provide free bottled water.>>no biggie.. I could splurge for $2 at the vending machine.. As noted earlier, there was no hot water, and before I could hang up the phone, the MANAGER and the repair team were on it and were ready to provide us with another room etc.... free sunday breakfast, free internet, but it was very slow and I don't know if it IS slow or because of the college kids that took up two floors.... all in all I would definitely go again.. and they have an INDOOR pool...

A bit shabby and dark. You could hear people walking in the rooms above. The linens on the bed were a bit rough and tatty and the bedskirt was torn. We were quoted one price when we checked in and when we paid the bill, it was a different price. The check-out person was rather argumentative.

Every staff member I encountered in my 3 day stay earned recognition and my time to say thank you! The late night desk clerk who managed other unreasonable patrons with tact and professionalism, the morning breakfast staff who provided many "extras" and pleasantries to start the day, the housekeeping staff that would greet you coming and going and ask "is there anything else you need" made this a very pleasant stay. I found the hotel to be clean and well maintained. I felt safe travelling alone.The location of this hotel is also a find. It was convenient to all the locations I visited in Newport RI, Fall River,MA and New Bedford , MA.

Although many of the guests rooms weren't ready at 4..which was difficult since we needed to be at venue for 5..all of us who had rooms shared for friends to put their belongings in. No view-highway and other shopping or hotels or parking lot views..uggg. Breakfast was great with lots to choice from! Real cream for coffee would be nice since there is a fridge. Could hear everything in others rooms that were next to us, even the battery on a fire alarm was beeping..eeeek!

The hotel staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel is very nice and reasonably priced. The rooms are large and comfortable. The location is excellent - near shopping, UMass and the ocean beach. I will definitely stay here again.

.this is a clean facility to syay at. staff is realyy nice from the manager on down to the maintenance person.unless you are an extremely fussy person the breakfast is very good and it is part oftheroom price which is also very reasonable. you can travel to Newport,thecape,new Bedford. a nice relaxing vacation my wife and I have needed something like this. for our budget it was well worth our spending32nd anniversary here.
