"LESS FRILLS MORE INSULATION"
WORLDTROTTER33, 05 Octobre 2018

The hotel is located in a nice area with quite a lot of restaurants very close. The lobby is nice and comfortable with stilish furniture and decors. Breackfast room is wellcoming and food variety is remarkable. My room (#104) was nice with a big bathroom and a comfortable. The only BIG but about this hotel is the sound insulation close to zero: i could hear from my room the music in the lobby and what was happening in every room next door. Despite this the staff took care of me in a very professional way decreasing the music volume as soon as I asked.

"Thank you for such a nice stay."
Scenic199162, 01 Octobre 2018

We want to thanks Lisa Buonaerva for her amazing services at the Best Western Plus Nice. She went the extra miles to make our stay unforgetable giving us all kind of information and tips about Nice and other places..... We`ll be back next summer. Nelson & Roberto.

"Bugs in my room!"
Burçin A, 26 Septembre 2018

Although decoration was very nice there were at least 20 small yellow bugs in my room. / 101. they told me that they can change my room. And asked me to pack my things so they can transfer my luggages to an another room. I was already late for a meeting so i asked them if we can do this transfer later but they insisted that i should do this at that moment. Their excuse for this rush was explained as “we should clean this room and resale it” it is really unbelievable! No one apologized for this situation by the way. Now i am staying in an another room but with a total stress thinking that a bug or an insect may appear somewhere in the room!! Decoration of the room is nice, for both of the rooms i have experienced. And also the breakfast is satisfying, but you should really pay more attention to the cleanliness and the attitude while handling a problem.

"Nice Best Western"
dikblack, 20 Septembre 2018

The hotel was ideally situated everything was within walking distance. The hotel was clean and tidy the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. I would definitely stay there again

"Awful wi-fi. Midget shower cubicle. Otherwise fine!"
LeylandAtlantean, 14 Septembre 2018

Great location for the railway station - 2 minute walk. The street to the hotel is not the best! Full of very boisterous and noisy "migrants". But 1 minute from the "main drag" down to the old town - Avenue Jean Medecin The lobby is OK and ground floor "lounge" is very sumptuous. Lift slow and small. Room quite nice. Decent furniture. Bed was 2 singles pushed together. Very comfortable mattress. Wi fi was awful. My phone got one bar. My iPad refused to find the router :-( Separate toilet "room" small. The shower cube was minute. c 70cm x 70cm. Seriously - a "big" person would not fit in! Air con was old but OK - fizzed and banged all night long (the air con - not the guests!). Worked fine for us but not memorable.

"Very clean"
Cjjp65, 10 Août 2018

Stayed here for 5 nights , staff great , rooms small but very clean and quiet Breakfast 12 Euro each, not worth it in my opion , 2mins away from train station , 15 mins walk to the beach but close to the trams go SAVE the walk , advise to get a hope on and off team ticket , Great value , Would I stay here again ,unless I won the lottery and pc stayed at a 5Star hotel yes I would , very pleasant hotel ,

"Excellent position as well high value for money"
micheleparisi, 05 Août 2018

Centrally located (just 2 minutes from the Central Station and the main shopping street, Jean Medecin), the hotel welcome its Guests with a professional, polite and smiling Team at the Reception. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and with all the main amenities to enjoy your staying. The bed is really comfortable, one of the best I've ever slept and the wifi is excellent! Rich breakfast and in all the areas the Staff is extremely polite and smiling. Definitely recommended, either for business or leisure trips!

"Really nice hotel to stay!"
TeemuPuu, 02 Août 2018

The room was really clean and functional. The staff was super friendly. Location is perfect near the shops, near the beach, near the train station! Really nice place to stay if you don't need any special luxuries like spa or swimming pool or something like that.

"Accomodation Nice"
Stoiean I, 24 Juillet 2018

I enjoyed the location Which was perfect and I truly recomand this hotel to anyone Who wants a nice hollyday in Nice. The bathroom wasn't what I expectoreaz? But in the end it was all nice and clean. The staff is Really nice and helpful.

"Our stay in Nice"
SCOTT L, 10 Juillet 2018

Whilst I was not over enamoured with the location of the hotel due to the kebab shops directly outside the hotel , certainly not the plac efor a romantic weekend away, the staff were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. No request was a problem. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. If it was in a better location it would ha e received a very good rating from me.

"Close to train station"
54Linda5454, 09 Juillet 2018

We picked this hotel as it is in walking distance to Nice Ville station. A Twin bedded room was booked (not requested) but on checking in we were told was not available. For our 2nd and 3rd night we could move into a twin room and were offered free breakfast as compensation. Not great but acceptable.

"Very bad condition"
Jerome F, 03 Juillet 2018

Muss room in very bad condition, the reception offers a new room also musty and a very small bathroom for maximum 6 years old Kids... Never ever best Western! 4 Stars for over 100€ per Night and no Standard..

"Relaxing stay"
cazh96, 30 Juin 2018

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights in this hotel and arrived very late at night. The receptionist at that time was very friendly and we were upgraded free of charge to a superior room! The room itself was clean and spacious, however the shower head was too large for the size of the shower, and often flooded the bathroom because of the slow draining water. The bed was comfortable, and we had a TV, coffee and a functioning air conditioning system. We were a bit surprised upon check out to see that we were charged an extra 50 Euros more than anticipated, and the staff at reception was not very clear why even though we asked several times. I believe it was the city tax but it's a lot of money to be charged extra! Something to be cautious of. Overall the hostel was welcoming and comfortable, and the location was ideal for shopping and beaches!

"The utter shock........"
793stuartg, 26 Juin 2018

Imagine, the chance to take your partner to Nice to soak up the sun on the Cote D'azur. It's on everyone's romantic break list isn't it? The word Cosy has been used a lot over the years but never has it been so far from the truth. Upon approaching the hotel, I suddenly realised that if we ever wanted a kebab, we would be in luck. With at lease 4 kebab shops directly opposite, I could hardly wait to sample the 'cuisine' there on the French Riviera. It was like Peckham high street but with extra dog poo decorations, the smell was quite a treat. Crowds of men all stood around (I assume they worked for or were friends with the Kebab shop owners) welcomed my partner with wolf whistles and blew kisses. The external condition of the hotel was not as it seemed in the pictures, but that happens. We were greeted by a friendly face and were checked in with ease. We were also travelling with my mother-in-law, she had paid far more for her room, yet, somehow, her room was at least half the size of ours. I understand that not all rooms will be the same but this was very unfair. The rooms look ok in the pictures BUT I would suggest they do not maintain them as well as you would believe. Our wardrobe door would not slide open, nor did it shut after. The TV and Air Con remote batteries were both dead. We can live with that as my partner always carries a vast supply of batteries when we have weekends away ;). Then, we move on to the bathroom. If you weigh more than a 6 year old boy, then you will struggle to get in to the bathroom, let alone make it in the shower cubicle. You would need the powers of Harry Houdini to make it in or out of the cubicle. If you drop the soap, or shampoo, good luck picking it up without your 'rear end' bursting out of the split door. The bar was never open.To get a coffee or any other refreshment made was like asking the staff if they would sign their worldly belongings over to you. The service was poor at best and rude at other times. The most friendly staff by far are those that earn the least, the chamber maids were very friendly and trustworthy. In all, Nice delivered for us, the sea front and bars in that area are far better quality (more expensive too) and worth the extra walks. My only advice would be to dodge this 'cosy' place if possible, you are far better off paying a little extra to be closer to the sea front. It was save you 15-20km's of walking a day and save your flip flops from the doggy droppings.

"Central Hotel & Convenient for Train Station"
ChristopherSydenham, 16 Juin 2018

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Cosy Nice during a weekend away to see the Monaco classic Grand Prix. The hotel is modern and comfortable, the rooms are small but well equipped, clean and modern. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Since we were travelling to Monaco every day we chose the hotel based on its location as it is only a 100m from the train station, however, it is also very conveniently located for Nice's main shopping areas. Only downside is that it is probably a 15-20 minute walk to the sea front, but then you can't have everything :o)

"Great stay"
Meath88, 12 Juin 2018

Stayed 4 nights in this hotel and loved the location and the staff. Staff were very friendly and the price of the room good for nice. It was clean and basic but did the job for us that were here to sightsee.

"Nice"
blynch65, 04 Juin 2018

This hotel is good value, close to the train station, just off one of Nices major streets and close to all of Nices main attraction. The service was excellent, the rooms clean and the staff are very friendly

"Location"
LexBergen_Norway, 04 Juin 2018

Good location. Nice room. Small bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff.Close to the main street and Railway station. The beds are real good and it's great to have the opportunity to change pillows.

"Not worth the price - a very ordainry experince."
Glenn F, 01 Juin 2018

We stayed there during the Grand Prix weekend. Booked well in advance and found out we could have got it much cheaper on the weekend. The accommodation was very ordinary and the neighborhood is terrible. Youths in the streets and we saw at least three drug deals,The air-conditioning didn't work in our first room and we were downgraded to a smaller room before finally getting a room with air-conditioning only to find it was terrible. Not even a sorry or any form of compensation for the rooms. Will never return to this hotel.

"Nice rooms, functional Hotel, good location"
Tobias K, 30 Mai 2018

The Hotel is nice and beautiful, the room was small but comfortable. Its very close to the main station, to the beach and also to the old city and the harbour of nice. So it was an unspectacular but nice stay.

"Superb service and cleanliness"
AnnieHeath12, 29 Mai 2018

We stayed here because we wanted to be close to Monaco for the Grand Prix. The hotel was less than 5 minutes walk to the train station, and Monaco was only about a 20-30 minute train trip. The standard room was quite small but it cleaned to a superior standard every day and met our needs. Front office staff were also very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

"Perfect if you are travelling along the coast"
brd_london, 29 Mai 2018

The rooms here are a bit on the small side so you would not necessarily want to stay here for a week nor use the hotel for any reason other than for somewhere to sleep. A group of us were attending the Grand Prix in Monaco, so the location and the rooms were more or less perfect. That said the location is perfect for the train station and the rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly. Didn't try breakfast.

"pleasant and convenient"
742hdean, 29 Mai 2018

We used as accommodation over the week-end of the Monaco Grand Prix, which we were attending and for which purpose it served well. By way of a report, rather than complaint: neither the safe nor the kettle in the room (#111) were working, and she shower tray leaked. But the hotel is pleasant and stylish and very convenient for the station.

"The Bagman"
dball626454, 17 Mai 2018

Good hotel with excellent staff, and good breakfast. Standard room was a little small so upgrade if you want more space. Location was very good. Flat walk to old town and seafront, or 200m to the rail station and the tram.

"Best location and fantastic staff"
SarahhLavinia, 10 Mai 2018

This hotel is in an awesome location. Just off the main shopping street and 5 mins walk to the train station. We were upgraded to the suite which had a corner balcony (possibly room 208?). We saw other rooms and ours was a lot bigger. Our bathroom was huge also. Not sure there are many suites though so may need to ask the hotel if you want to stay in these larger rooms. You can hear a lot through the walls but we were not really in the room that much so it was okay. No noise or light from outside, so easy to sleep in the room. Hotel lobby is stunning and staff on the desk are so helpful. Cleaners did a really good job each day too. Clean towels everyday. We would go back here, as long as we could stay in the same room.

"Great Hotel. Outstanding Customer Service"
PassportStampsKatie, 19 Avril 2018

The Best Western Cosy is situated less than a 5 minute walk from the train station making it incredibly easy to get to and from and handy for day trips on the train along the Côte D'Azur. ?The hotel has been recently renovated and it is beautifully decorated in both the lobby and rooms. Our room was spotlessly clean, a good size, with comfy beds, a good shower (decent water power which is important), bedside plug sockets and tea kettle (you can take the Brit out of Britain....). There was a small bar in the lobby, very reasonably priced, with little cheese and nibbles in the evenings. ?The hotel manager Eric was simply outstanding in helping with an issue of Euros I had left behind and went above and beyond to help sort this matter out and get the money back to me (I have renewed faith in humanity). I cannot thank him enough. ?All in all, a fabulous French hotel with lovely staff always happy to help.

"First visit to Nice"
Burningbutterfly, 22 Mars 2018

The hotel is based near the main train station in Nice, around 15 minute drive from the airport. We arrived around midday check in was not until 2pm but we were able to leave our bags until check in time. The hotel seemed quiet during our stay and we were given a free upgrade. The room was basic but as we didn't spend much time in the hotel it was just what we needed. The bed was comfy, we were at the back of the hotel so didn't hear much noise from the street. The shower was poweful. The staff were friendly throughout stay. We didn't sample breakfast as it was 19 euros each but we went to a nearby cafe each morning for a croissant and hot drink. My only complaint was with the house keeping, the tea was never replaced throughout our stay, one day the toilet roll wasn't replaced and one day we came back to find the door to our room had not been closed properly. If you are not planning to spend much time in your hotel I would recommend this as a good place to stay

"Good staff, but rest depends on which room you are in"
rcantw550837, 15 Mars 2018

Staff very friendly & helpful. Located near station. Not best area of city, but good restaurants & bars close by. For breakfast, short walk to roundabout & Brasserie Le Circuit better option than hotel breakfast. Some in my party had excellent rooms. My 1st room had to wait ages for hot water, shower was tiny, and fan didn't work. Ceiling leaked also, so I was moved to another room. This much better, but still had to wait ages for hot water. Useless modern sink, unable to remove plug so had to jam it open with toothbrush to prevent further flooding to room below, whilst waiting for hot water. Some confusion when moving rooms, as names did not match room numbers.

"Friendly. Convenient for train station."
jude9999_10, 10 Mars 2018

The hotel has recently been refurbished. It has quite a smart entrance, lounge and stairs. The bedroom was quite nice. We had a problem getting hot water at first. The coffee machine did not work. The door was very hard to open. The hotel is a bit of a scruffy area of Nice. However, it is convenient for the train station and the buses. It is quite a walk to the sea front. The staff were very helpful. We didn't have breakfast as it was really expensive but we found a few good restaurants for breakfast just round the corner.

"Lovely staff, good location and good price"
EmmaMB, 02 Février 2018

We had a city break in Nice and we decide the book this hotel due to very good price offer. The hotel has a good location, walking distance to the main shopping areas, old town and the beach. The rooms are nicely decorated, beds are very comfortable and the shower is nice. We were impressed with Siamak who is lovely and super helpful. He did everything to ensure we have the best stay at the hotel and in general in NIce. Also, his music choice in the lobby was very enjoyable. I have requested in the room an iron and was delivered very fast. When we left we needed to place the luggage on hold and Siamak attended our needs promptly. The negative part of our room it was that had backside view and there was a really bad bathroom smell. The toiletries are not of a high quality. Also, the cleaning lady did not remove the food bag outside our door for many hours after we asked her to do so. Coffee, tea and sugar were not replaced so we had no coffee the second morning :( Phone signal + wi-fi were quite bad in the room we had.

"Quaint property"
User, 25 Janvier 2018

A small but well located hotel on a street corner .Easy to miss but what an amazing location 5 mins to the main station 4 mins to the tram station Walkable distance to the shopping area All in all an amazing property at rock bottom prices The staff goes all out to help and guide u a special mention for Louise here They all speak english and on good days in the evening lay out chocolate croissants Definitely a value based hotel

"Great Updating. Super Comfy Bed"
Chel-TVLR, 08 Janvier 2018

Two of us stayed here one night and chose this hotel due to its proximity to the train station. Arriving late and leaving the next morning, we didn't expect much knowing we weren't in the touristy part of Nice. What a pleasant surprise to walk in and see the hotel. It is very nicely decorated with a professional staff. Check-in was quick and easy. Getting off the lift, the hallway was as expected given the neighborhood, but then we reached our room. Again, a great surprise. The room was nicely updated and decorated. Great storage in the closet. Our room had 2 chairs and a desk. The bathroom had lovely tile work; the shower, while small, had good water pressure. The room had a super comfy bed and nice linens. In the morning we were informed the train we were waiting for had been delayed, so the hotel allowed us a last minute late checkout to accommodate our schedule. Top notch all around! With the super beds, great staff, and the location; this is a great choice.

"A wonderful holiday"
hadasaw, 08 Janvier 2018

The hotel staff was exceptionally courteous and polite. We were warmly received and willing to help. The room was clean and cozy, the bed very comfortable and the shower comfortable and comfortable. The hotel is located a five minute walk from the main train station - which was very convenient, especially when we used parking near the train.

"Great staff with a few reservations..."
Erik H, 02 Janvier 2018

This hotel was well suited for our purposes. Very close to the railway station, and spacious enough to spend a week there. I must say that the staff at reception and at the bar were exceptional - reservations, special requests, enquiries, typical touristy questions. They were patient, accommodating and ultry helpful and friendly. What we had a little problem with was with the room itself. We had a junior suite, and the secondary lock on the door didn't work, plus the chain lock was damaged and very fiddly. After the room was cleaned, bar glasses etc. were left there from the day before - not taken with them. When we asked multiple times for an extra set of towels, they didn't come - only on the 3rd reminder, did they arrive. The room appeared clean, but when you looked closer you noticed it was clean on the surface, but there were quite a few unclean spots. So, all in all a mixed review. Good price and location, great service staff on the front end, but beneath the surface not quite as perfect as the outward appearance.

"Tour of Nice "
Qn4lyf, 01 Janvier 2018

After 35 years my best friend from college and I reunited in France. She wanted to show me Nice. She booked this hotel because of its close proximity to the train station. Excellent choice, it was a little over a block from the train station. When we arrived the staff went above and beyond to make our trip exceptional. We were greeted and the person checking us in spoke both English and French. The young man behind the desk mapped out Old Nice and New Nice. He also told us areas to avoid because there wasn't any thing to see and where to eat. When we went to the bar for a drink we were made to feel at home. They even provided snacks and bottled water. The room was a little small but very clean. Excellent price and excellent customer service. Highly recommend!!! The only potential issue, if you need a wash cloth they don't provide them but it's my understanding that's the norm in most European hotels.

""Nice""
SamAdams2017, 28 Décembre 2017

We were checked in to our room early which was a nice welcome. The lobby is very comfortable with excellent wi-fi in the hotel. The lift is very tiny having to have made two trips with our luggage. The room was cosy as the new name suggests but nice and clean. I did, however, find the previous guests lingerie in the draw which caused a bit of confusion between the front desk and housekeeping staff as to who was to remove it, at one point asking me to take downstairs to the front desk (wasn't going to happen) A five-minute walk from Gare de Nice-Ville train station and a ten-minute walk down to the beach along Avenue Jean Medecin, the main street full of shops. Across the road from restaurants and fast food shops. Overall a nice hotel in a good location.

"A COSY PLACE"
sabelo d, 08 Décembre 2017

The Best Western is a comfortable practical place that I enjoyed over a two night stay in Nice. I used a delux room - generous size, big and comfortable bed with a large TV set. The hotel enjoys a very good location especially if you envisage usage of the train and tramp because it is a stone' throw away from Niceville train station. The tramp towards downtown is a mere few steps away. It is in the middle of many restaurants and small supermakerts. The bus to the airport, I think bus 99 is at Niceville and you just drag your suitcase to the bus stop. The big Television has many chanells of which a good number are English Language channels such as BBC, CNN,CCv and others. The lobby is a homely ambience with comfortable couches and a larger than life television. I enjoyed a variety of complementary sweets during one of my relaxations there. The deco of the lobby is interesting with small deco pieces that you will not come across somewhere else easily. My time was short and spent away from the hotel exploring the Riviera so I did not get much experience with its people. But everything that i needed was in place and delivered meticulously.

"GREAT STAY!!!"
andreania356, 27 Novembre 2017

One of the best hotels that I have been recently. Friendly staff at the reception and courtesy. The room has everything you need and the whole atmosphere was really friendly. I recommend this hotel!!!

"Nice experience"
mdaele_300664, 24 Novembre 2017

Excellent hotel, excellent service/staff and delicious breakfast. I recommend the hotel to anybody travelling to Nice! Nothing negative to say about my stay, only that I wish that I could have stayed longer!

"Nice place to stay in the center"
Voula S, 28 Octobre 2017

It's a nice clean place to stay in the city. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is not included and the price of it is high per person.. However if you have a car, avoid it coz parking is a lil headache. a good choice if you want to stay in the center of Nice.

"good inside, bad outside"
Le_zOU, 26 Octobre 2017

This is decent hotel with a very friendly and efficient staff in one of the worst part of the city. very dodgy and noisy area (close to the train station so to be expected). Staff is very polite and eager to help. No parking in the area so plan for a 36euro/day underground car park ... There was a leak from the bathroom aboce and the staff quickly offered us a new room. Air con is noisy and reset to 26C everyday (or is it the cleaning lady ?), hot water in the shower is just enough for one... so shower first if you are in couple :p On the plus side, it is a good shopping location, but choose something close to the promenade or the Old Town if you are in the city to visit...

"tremendous location, nice design"
marc l, 23 Octobre 2017

Superbly located at the top of Av Jean Medecin an easy 5 minute walk to the SNCF allows for exploring to other towns yet there is no noise at all from the station. The walk from the hotel is a delight passing all the lovely shops onto Place Massena and into the old town with all its fabulous eateries. The room was the delux a good size, quiet and superb bathroom. You must opt when booking for the breakfast, its tremendous and kept us going through the day until dinner. Ignore the Kebab shops immediate to this hotel our room faced them and we had no noise at all. Great value

"Good value for your money"
mbijke_999323, 12 Octobre 2017

This hotel is located near a great shopping street in the city of Nice. The station (for trips to Monaco or Cannes) is nearby (5 minutes walk). Personal of the hotel was very friendly. The classic room is small but clean. Breakfast was also good. The only remark is the loudness outside that enters your room. Unfortunately it already started at 6.00 a.m. Overal it was a pleasant stay.

"Wish I could give 3 and a half points!"
Joy I, 12 Octobre 2017

We came here for 6 nights to celebrate my husband's special birthday. (Should have tried for a free upgrade!) Plus and minus points for the hotel. Plus points - very central, close to the SNCF station and main tramline. Within easy walking distance of the main areas of town - the Old Town, Massena Square, Promenade Des Anglais etc. The entrance area of the hotel itself is very smart, obviously recently decorated to a very high standard. Comfy bed. Very little street noise. Safe provided in room and free Wifi. Minus points - the shower in room 408 is tiny, the space to enter the bathroom between the sink and the door is about a foot so if you are a larger person - forget it! We had to constantly ask for coffee and milk for the room and the cleaner never cleaned the cups or left new ones. Only one small lift but the stairs are lovely. We thought the breakfast was very expensive (19€ each) so went to a local cafe each day instead. All in all, it was a very nice experience. The staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful indeed. We would return but maybe ask for a bigger room. Merçi a tous!

"Good location, price and service!"
yeonjuc329, 11 Octobre 2017

We stayed for a night in Nice and it was wonderful. Especially, the counter service was excellent. Staffs were very helpful, kind and considerate. The lobby was nice and cosy even thou the room was normal.

"Great room if that's what you want!"
Sxysusie22, 19 Septembre 2017

If you are just looking for a room with a comfy bed in a great position in Nice. This property is ideal, close to train station and shops, 20-25 min walk to the beach too! We stayed just bed as we don't eat breakfast. We offered breakfast for 19euros pp which I thought was expensive. The beds are very comfy. The shower is tiny and I'm only 5ft but there is hardly any space to move. The tv didn't show English channels and the tap didn't run cold water to clean your teeth which wasn't nice plus it wasn't fixed right. The hotel has obviously been modernised to look good but cheap fittings. I would really like to give this hotel 3.5 stars, as it's just a good location with a comfy bed. It wasn't bad but not excellent either, nice is expensive so taking that in to account I don't feel it was overpriced.

"Nice hotel in Nice"
Jue222, 19 Septembre 2017

Stayed fo a week in September 2017 hotel is very near the main railway station which is great for getting the train to Monaco or Cannes etc. The area is a bit tired with more then the occasional beggar. The hotel is quite smart and the staff were lovely. We had the breakfast included which was typical continental cold cuts, breads, cereals but also scrambled eggs and sausages. There is a nice lounge but did not use the bar as it was too expensive. We found Nice to be much more expensive then other European cities for drinking and eating out. The room had pro's and cons. The beds were fantastically comfortable, there was adequate storage and as we are on the 3rd floor we were not disturbed by street noise. The bathroom was smart and modern but the rainfall shower head did not work so we had to improvise with the wand attachment. Having said that the pressure was great and there was always hot water! The sink was odd too as there was no plug . Style over function not to mention not very environmentally friendly. Also struggled plugging in our UK Adapters into the sockets in the room. The only 2 that worked for us were in the bathroom. Great for the hairdryer but inconvenient for charging phones etc. This is a decent hotel but not perfect. If we return to Nice we would probably choose some where nearer the promenade or the old town

Small room, small bath, good breakfast and position. There are couple of free spaces to park if you lucky that's a great benefit. Proximity to tram line. Very good Vietnamese restoran in close proximity to hotel.

"An all you want stay in Nice"
marcoH5153PR, 12 Septembre 2017

Very nice hotel conveniently located near the main train station. The personnel is very friendly and was able to give good recommendations on what to do and where to eat in the city. Next time I'm in Nice, I would certainly try to book this hotel again.

"Smallest shower...ever"
Anja C, 29 Août 2017

Close to the railway station and tram, this hotel is well positioned and nicely decorated. The rooms are small but the shower is minuscule. I'm 5'4" and weigh 65kg and I didn't have enough room...let alone my husband. The staff are a bit average and don't show much interest or assistance.

"Excellent Value and Quality - Near Train Station"
Michael M, 10 Août 2017

This is a Best Western Hotel that is an exceptional value and quality for the price. It is just steps (downhill) from the train station (or uphill on the way back to the train) and only one block off the main trolly promenade in town. The hotel itself is surrounded with lots of little markets and shops, as well as restaurants that are great. We spent four days here and loved every minute of it. The staff was helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to help me with a billing concern. (They were correct I was wrong, but they were patient in explaining to me why.) Most everyone at the hotel had some basic english skills which was helpful for us, and those that didn't, went out of their way to find someone who spoke english and could help us. A definite will stay here again.

"Staying in Nice"
Waleed E, 09 Août 2017

The hotel is near the main shoping riad and 5 minutes walk to the train station. The rooms are clean and there are 3 different sizes of room small, medium, and large with balconies. It is not really 4 stars hotel but it is location is great and the expresso machine in the room makes the difference. The left is slow.

"Good hotel"
Mrjo192, 31 Juillet 2017

We only stopped for one night on the way to Provence from Florence. The hotel is Ina convenient area by the train station and the junior suite was a nice upgrade although they didn't mention we had been upgraded. The rooms are nice with a balcony but the breakfast offering is poor.

"Not a good place ! Not clean room"
Robert N, 21 Juillet 2017

Our AC did not work. Rough neighborhood. Did not fix AC. Nor have another room. Room had a bad smell ! We usually have good luck with BW. Not this time. Try another hotel. Skip this one. Photo of room temp at 1am

"Would be difficult to find a fault!"
Lanky-Lulu, 15 Juillet 2017

The welcome on arrival was warm, the desk staff were knowledgeable of the hotel and its amenities. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious (just to note: we could hear our next door neighbors when in the corridor but not from the room). The breakfast was mostly cold foods but lovely for the price and ran for a good few hours every morning. Really well situated, a 2 minute walk from Nice Ville train station and a 2 minute walk from the nearest tram stop, which was not utilized due to the beach and city only a 10 minute walk away.

"Very close to the train station"
Andreea E, 12 Juillet 2017

Where to start? The location is very easy to find, especially if you came by train as you have a 3 minute walk. Around the hotel you have a lot of grocery stores and fast food, so there is always something open. The lobby is set up as a living room where you can chill with your friends and also get a candy from the candy bar set up by the hotel. You can either order coffee or drinks or just watch TV. Going up to the rooms, they are very spacious and offer different views of the city as it is located on the corner of 2 streets. Also, once in the room you have everything you need: a coffee machine (not the regular kernel), big closet and super comfy room. The breakfast is just great! Big variety of choices from fruits, to cheese, ham and jams as well as pancakes with maple syrup if wished. There is a big variety in coffee as well for everyone to try out as well as 3 types of natural juice. You really get to lose a lot of time deciding what to eat as you will want to try them all. As I said, everything about it makes you want to come back, especially the staff working which can help you out with any questions/inquiries. What we did not like was the fact that despite the room being very big, there was a problem with the bathroom. The toilet was in a separate room from the bath and the sink and mirror. So you had to choose between going to the bathroom or taking a shower/washing your hands. It was a little uncomfortable, but given the fact that most of the time we were out and about it wasn't something to ruin our vacation.

"Damp small rooms, strong cigarette smell"
Hanna K, 03 Juillet 2017

Not anything as modern as advertised /what it seems. We stayed for one night. (2 people) The room was on the first floor. Small and dark, one Window in the corner of the wall with curtains that were glued in place over the window and could by be moved. The room smelled very strongly of cigarettes. (And all our clothes as well afterwards) There were hair in the bed & floor. In the morning our clothes were damp and smelled horrid. (even ones that were dry when We came) Not pleasant at all. Wont come back, not even for one night. Not worth the price per night (120£).

"We had a Nice stay"
Stine G, 03 Juillet 2017

Stayed here for 9 nights in june/july, good sized room but a small bathroom. 1-2 minute walk from the train station. the service is good and we figured that if you leave a note and some tips for the maid, they do a super job with the cleaning. The breakfast here is 20€ pr person and if you eat breakfast at subway or buy a baguette at a bakery or something you pay øess than half of that, so we never regretted not getting the hotel breakfast. The location is great, several places to eat and grocery shops nearby, the main street is one street over, and we walked to the promenade in 10-15 minutes, but if you don't feel like walking there is a tram that costs 1,5 € pr person that goes thrugh the main street almoast all the way down to the beach and promenade.

"Europian Honeymoon Vacation"
Dimitri B, 12 Juin 2017

Have been travelling Europe for 4 weeks and this would have to be the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in my life. We were given a room on the 4th floor infront of the elevator. when the elevator is called, it sounds like there is a jackhammer going on in the room. We turned the air-conditioning on in the room to cool the room down, after 10minutes the room smelt like a sewerage main had burst in the room. Complained and asked to be moved, where we were then moved to a room with no working air-conditioning. The next morning we were woken up at 8am to be asked to leave the room, as there was a leak in the ceiling, to which we found out they should not have given us that room in the first place. The manager would not come and speak to us in the morning at all. Do not recommended this hotel at all.

"Best Western Hotel Madrid Nice"
Barry P, 07 Juin 2017

Absolutely disgusted. Yoh had to sit with your legs hanging out into the room when using the toilet and try and squeeze in sideways when using the shower. Then they tried overcharging me when i left!! 4 star???

"A gem in a very busy town"
PhotographerLondon, 06 Juin 2017

We booked this hotel for five nights last week in May with British Airways Holidays. Due to the BA IT disaster on the last week end of May we had to stay another night and the hotel was most accommodating in letting us have our room for an additional night. Personally, we have only praise for this small hotel. It is barely five minutes' walk from the main station and airport bus stop, but its surrounds are quiet. Previous reviewers bemoaned the presence of fast food outlets nearby but these and their clientele did neither create undue noise in the evening nor made they feel the area less secure. Public transport like the tram and local buses are easily reached from the hotel. We also would like to praise the staff, day and night, and during breakfast, who were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was ample and varied. The room, though somewhat small, was most adequate, very clean with a very comfortable king size bed. The hotel is inside a historical building so rooms will not be the same size as in a newly built one. Sound proofing was excellent. The air-conditioning worked perfectly. So yes - we would happily stay at this hotel again.

"Grand Prix weekend"
656calw, 31 Mai 2017

This hotel was perfect for our needs, located very close to the station with very comfortable beds and pillows to rest weary limbs after two long days . The rooms were clean, the staff extremely helpful and friendly, the bar area is very small but for our needs this really didn't matter. I have knocked a star off as we couldn't find an English speaking channel on the TV and the main shower head switch proved impossible to find.

"Great Location"
Russcake, 17 Mai 2017

This hotel is Very close to the shopping streets and about 10/15 minute walk from the promenade. Staff were very helpful and polite! The room was nice with a good size bathroom. I would recommend this hotel

"great all around"
Mariya D, 10 Mai 2017

Booked this place after deciding to extend our stay in Nice for another night. It's close to one of the main train stations. It exceeded our expectations. Clean, great breakfast, free and good wifi throughout the whole hotel, very helpful stuff (especially Sebastian). We had relatively spacious room with 2 balconies on the 3rd floor. Complimentary croissants and water in the lobby is very nice touch. Although the place that we stayed in initially was 4 stars and this was a 3 star hotel this was by far a much better place. We made a mistake with the dates when reserving, but Sebastian could not have been more helpful in resolving the situation, we ended up extending it for extra night. Thank you.

"Good hotel but no English TV channels"
Bruce A, 07 Mai 2017

We stayed two nights here and walked everywhere. It is close to the railway station and the express to the airport, and the tram to the waterfront, although the it is only about 1 km to the beach. The rooms are modern and spacious; WIFI is strong. However, the TV offers 40 French channels, 6 German channels, 2 Russian channels and the only English language channel is China International Network! I have never stayed in a hotel, anywhere, that does not offer either BBC or CNN.

"Great Nice Hotel"
alex h, 21 Avril 2017

Really enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights in a twin room that included breakfast. Staff were so helpful for advice, directions and leaving bag for the day. Fantastic location for the train station and nearby shops and being on the 4th floor we were away from any street noise. Would definitely recommend!

"Good location"
juurikas, 17 Avril 2017

The location is very good. We stayd in superior room, what was spacious. But there was many downsides. No doors for shower cubical, once was, but not anymore. Air con didnt work. I ask'd that is it possible to fix those things, answer was yes, technician wil come on monday, he didnt. Breakfast was good on the first morning when one man was in charge. Rest of the days was some ladys and then was problems with refillings and empty plates. Many clients ask'd from them this and that, then they brought what was missing. Stuff in reception was very good and helpful and the only part who speaks well English. Ladys from breakfast didnt understand that almost at all. Wifi was good, in the hall is computer and printer. Best thing about this hotel is a location as I wrote, just 3 minutes to walk to main train station Nice-Ville. Good place to stay if You want to travel around.

"Good for train station but the location has multiple fast food outlets nearby "
SimonWindsor, 15 Avril 2017

The hotel is clean and well presented, the room comfortable. But despite 3 days of requests the room air conditioning didn't function. To keep the room cool it was necessary to open the window which made it quite noisy as there are numerous fast food / kebab outlets nearby which made it noisy especially in the evening. If they fix the aircon this would be less of a problem as the double glazed windows moderate the noise quite well. Some lone travellers might find the area a bit intimidating at night. The breakfast was hit and miss, on the breakfast menu fried eggs are listed, but I only managed to get them on 2 out of 4 days, also when items such as ham etc were finished replacements had to be requested , this was at 9.20 when breakfast was still supposed to be available until 10.30. If the management manage to get the aircon working and have more control at breakfast it would make a reasonable hotel especially if you need access to the train station.

"A pleasant stay"
463edwardw, 05 Avril 2017

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Many choices at breakfast. The hotel is very close to the railway station and within walking distance of the shops on Jean Médecin and the tram line. Simple to get to the hotel from the airport. The hotel is not located in the most up-market part of Nice, but I was never harassed or felt threatened. The lift in the hotel is only small. The size of the bedroom was adaquate (single traveller) but if a couple you might want to consider booking one of the larger rooms. Breakfast was available from 7.00 am.

"Lovely Modern Hotel"
helendc1, 24 Mars 2017

We stayed here on the last 3 nights of our holiday. This hotel was central for transport, restaurants and shopping. It was very good value for money. The hotel was spotless. It had fast free wifi and was very nicely furnished, The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good english if required. The bedroom was modern and spotless, The breakfast was standard stuff and the man in charge of it was very efficient and kept the tables and room spotless. He seemed very happy in his job. I particularly loved the picture on the wall of a very modern last supper!

"Just good location"
SydneyPath, 20 Mars 2017

Hotel location is good accessible to shopping street but not the heart of the shopping stores. 5 min walk to train station. The hotel itself is aged, only lobby is newly renovated. Quite noisy at night hearing street people talking.

"Good location and very comfortable"
HayleyMace, 20 Mars 2017

Stayed for two nights for business. The hotel is five minutes from the railway station and near lots and of restaurants. I had a really big room with lots of space, very comfortable.breakfast was plentiful.

"Not really a 4* but..."
gph92, 18 Mars 2017

I stayed here recently on a work trip. The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to the railway station which was ideal for us, given we used to train everyday. The staff are also incredibly friendly and attentive. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and sizeable. Unfortunately, that's where it stops. The bathrooms aren't sizeable and only include a very small shower. Furthermore, albeit I appreciate this is somewhat out of the control of this hotel - the considerable noise in the middle of the night from the Hotel de Flandres, immediately across the road, sadly disturbed our sleep on two of the three nights of our stay. Breakfast was okay, although choices limited. Overall; great location and staff - the rest would appreciate some further work to justify the four star standard in my opinion!

"Very comfortable hotel very next to the railway station and the shopping streets"
Giuliano S, 18 Novembre 2016

I was there a couple of nights for a business trip and it was very comfortable. Breakfasts very rich and personnel very friendly. I only missed a parking, even if they have a convention with a parking next to the train station, it's quite expensive...

"Excellent Hotel and staff"
636s_amusm, 03 Novembre 2016

It was a long weekend stay. I arrived late after 9pm. Everything was in order. The room was very nice, clean and tidy and very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but had a nice shower, clean towels every day etc. The breakfasts were fantastic, great choice and plenty of it, cereal, scrambled/boiled eggs, yogurt, bread, coffee, juice, cold meats, pancakes etc. etc. The guy serving at breakfast (sorry I can't remember his name) deserves a pay rise..he was really friendly, spoke good English, as did all the staff. I loved the design pieces in the hotel, the warm and welcoming lobby, the friendly service, great location, just a great hotel that I would return to anytime. I felt at home straight away.

"Ideally situated for train and tram, good value for money."
rrax201, 30 Octobre 2016

As with everyone, we can only speak about our own experience of our stay in our room at the time of year we went. We stayed for a week in mid-October, booked as part of a package but upgraded to a superior room, which included a safe at no extra charge. We didn't use or need the air con, but it was provided. One very important plus - fast and free wi-fi with good signal strength in our room. Other hotels please note!! One of our smartphones always logged on immediately upon returning to the hotel, the other one was a little more troublesome, but that was probably down to the operating system of the phone. We still managed to connect, but had to do so manually each time. Not the most salubrious area and not a 5* hotel, but for friendliness of staff and value for money, we couldn't fault it. Location was perfect for our purposes - 4 minutes stroll to the train station, two minutes walk to the tram stop. Trams are very frequent - if you see one about to leave, don't rush. There will be another along before you know it. Breakfast was (I think) from 7.30-10am and the gentleman in charge always greeted us with a smile and was very efficient. The selection didn't vary a great deal from day-to-day but was a good standard of buffet with plenty to choose from. Fresh fruit, cereal, scrambled or boiled eggs (I think you could request an alternative, but we didn't feel the need), lovely bread, ham, cheeses, salami, tomatoes, cucumber, yoghurt, toast, croissants, chocolate and currant pastries, fresh coffee and tea.... the list goes on. A typical city hotel, not bags of space but sufficient for our needs although I do wonder whether a standard room might be a little cramped. Just one small problem and one minor irritation. We encountered a smell in our room when we arrived. We found almost immediately upon lifting the decorative cover plate on the shower waste, that the inner plastic that formed the trap had not been inserted correctly, thereby preventing a proper seal. This may have been a one-off, or may account for the problem that others have encountered. The management will no doubt have ensured by now that the cleaners are aware (we did mention it at the front desk) but if anyone else has a similar problem, it would certainly be worth checking. If Trip Advisor will allow it, I will attach a photograph, The other thing was that there were no TV channels in English, not even a news channel. Not a major problem for us as we don't go on holiday to watch TV, but worth noting. Overall, we feel we made a good choice and would be happy to return in the future - which I may well do in 2018 when I hope to watch some fast cars drive around a street circuit that happens to be situated no more than a 30 minute train ride away....

"Business trip to Nice"
priyash, 11 Octobre 2016

I stayed in Best Western de Madrid for 11 days in Sep 2016. The location is superb - the Nice train station is a 2 min walk, there are bus/tram stops nearby, plenty of dining options around, plus lots of places to shop. I've been to Nice a couple of times for business, and so far this hotel has had the best location, esp. if you rely on public transport and prefer not to drive. The breakfast was great, there was a good variety, and the croissants were lovely. Abdel always greeted us with a smile at breakfast, made us comfortable. It was a very pleasant start to the day and we looked forward to it. I would certainly stay here again.

"Fantastic in every way! "
Sheila E, 10 Septembre 2016

The moment we arrived in the hotel we felt at home. The welcome was warm and we were given all the information we needed by the very charming manager. The decor throughout the hotel is beautiful and the breakfast, at 12 Euro, was unbelievable! I have never stayed in a hotel with such efficient air conditioning! I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

"Great service, especially from Mr. Siamak"
Lars M, 09 Septembre 2016

Service was excellent and especially Mr. Siamak was very helpful and even upgraded us when we had to change rooms due to the AC not being fully functional. The process went very smooth, fast and allowed us to enjoy the rest of our stay even more.

"Worst Hotel Ever"
Randall D, 07 Septembre 2016

This hotel is located directly across the train station. We arrived on Bastille Day. There were piles of trash near the hotel front door, and across the street. The room was dark, dingy, and dusty; not to mention the room was so small that there was hardly any space to walk around the bed. The room was ready upon arrival, but the bed looked & smelled if someone had just used it. The bed was made the same sloppy way the next day.

"Perfect hotel to stay for 1-3 nights with comfortable rooms"
Gaile B, 25 Août 2016

Perfect for couples staying for 1-3 nights, comfortable room, well-equiped bathroom. Tastefull breakfast with homefood feeling, especially pancakes.. Very friendly and attentive staff, which showed us perfect places and beach to visit and paid lot of attention during staying at lounge. Very modern, cosy and comfortable lounge of hotel. The only disadvantage that there is no free parking, so we spend about 20 eur overnight for parking. Perfect price and quality balance!

"Good hotel near the train station"
tentpole, 10 Août 2016

Stayed here as we needed to catch an attitude early morning train. Walking distance of the day train station. Smart hotel. Good breakfast. Area late at night a little dodgy with a group of Romanians drinking outside in the street until late but they were no real problem.

"Gorgeous & Fantastic Value For Money!"
lisa p, 07 Août 2016

We stayed for 4 nights on a road trip around France in the last couple of weeks and this hotel was fantastic. They upgraded our room for free as it was our honeymoon and the reception staff/cleaners were tentative & friendly. the hotel had a very luxurious feel about it and the bed was comfy. The rooms smelt lovely and you were a street away from the centre. The only gripe I have is we were driving and so needed somewhere to put the car, the parking for this hotel is situated between the Ibis & train station and is multi storey parking. Its secure parking but a pain in how much it costs as you are paying city centre parking prices.

"Stayed three nights in July 2016"
CaveeSoodin, 25 Juillet 2016

Enjoyed staying there. The staff was very kind and helpful. Rooms was clean but a bit dim due to a defective bulb which was replaced almost immediately. Breakfast was good. Hotel is very well located, just five minutes walk to train station. Main street with trams just a few steps away. Wide variety of restaurants with Chinese, Indian, European cuisines, Turkish kebab, Pizza, McDonald and KFC all around.Sales were on in all shops and we enjoyed shopping also.

"Comfy room"
wlyeungaa, 03 Juillet 2016

The hotel is close to the train station and just 15 mins walk to the beach. The bed is comfy. There are several restaurants downstairs (pizza, burger, kebab, mcdonalds). Lighting in the room is a bit dim but overall a stay in the hotel is recommended.

"excellent hotel"
micheledearden, 19 Juin 2016

Absolutely loved staying here. One of the nicest i have stayed in in nice and i have stayed in about 8 over the years. Very clean and modern. The staff, everyone of them was pleasent and very helpful, couldn't do enough. Air con worked and the room had everything you needed from hairdryer to tea and coffee facility, which is a plus as not all hotels have them. There was a safe, free of charge. Never heard any noise at night. Location was perfect just 5 mins from train station. I will definately be going again.

"Great hotel"
dscs2014, 16 Juin 2016

I recently stayed in this hotel with my sister for four days. The hotel is spotless in every area, our rooms were made up everyday and even when we requested extra towels it was no problem at all. There was a small issue with the kettle in the room and an iron not working but it was rectified straight away. All the people that work there were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast isn't up to much, however its sufficient to get you going in the morning. All in all a very nice stay. The hotel does have free Wi-Fi, however we found that it wasn't very good in our room, saying that we didn't really need it as we were on holiday!!

"Good location"
Andreea M, 08 Juin 2016

The main advantage of this hotel is the location, close to the railway station and not far from the old city center, about 15 minutes. The hotel is clean, but the room is very small and smells like humid. The WC and the shower are separate. Breakfast is good, although not varied. The staff is helpful and wi-fi is fast. It seems a bit expensive for what it offers.

"Nice lobby area, but rooms could be renovated"
Gediminas S, 05 Juin 2016

The lobby is really nice and renovated, but the rooms are quite outdated and needs renovation. Also parking is not very convenient, its not included and we paid more than 25 euros per day. Also we found some black hair on the walls of the shower, it was not a big issue, because we washed it all down with shower, but still maybe something to check upon.

"Disappointing but passable"
cdale91, 23 Mai 2016

My girlfriend and I were visiting Nice from Fri - Mon for a long weekend in May 2016. We were greeted on arrival at the Hotel by a friendly receptionist who swiftly sorted our our access cards and directed us to our room. We went up to our room to find the door propped open and a cleaner hard at work. We came back downstairs and were offered another room, so again we went back up the stairs with all our bags, to find work men in that room doing some refurbishments. We went back downstairs again to be told to wait in the lobby, and the cleaners rushed to finish our original room. When we finally got in the room, it was as you would expect of a 3 star hotel room in a European city. The bed seemed reasonably comfortable, the room was clean and tidy, though the air con did not work and I had to find a youtube tutorial on how to pair a universal AC remote to a mitsubishi aircon unit, eventually I managed to get it to work though it was not very good. The sound proofing is pretty decent though it does get loud outside on the weekend. The doors slam shut so if you have people on your floor you are constantly jumping out of your skin every time someone comes or goes. The hotel is not located in a particularly nice area, surrounded by a few run down takeaways with some suspect characters hanging around, pretty unnerving if arriving back to the hotel after dark. To get away from the negatives though, it is a very short walk from the tram stop, and we walked every day down the parade of shops to the beach and all along the promenade. There is lots of good restaurants a 10/20 minute walk from the hotel and it is in close proximity to most attractions, including the old town, the cliff with a great view, and all bus/train/tram stops.

"Good place, well located but too expensive though"
Jerms10, 19 Mai 2016

This hotel was a good one! But for 120€, way below expectations though in terms of comfort. Very good location, a service top notch provided by Simiak (sorry for the spelling) at front desk who went above and beyond his duty to make us feel at home. The furniture in the room is ok but nothing special. The other staffs are not so amazing, barely talk to guests unfortunately! Breakfast is acceptable. This four stars is mainly given to thank Simiak! This hotel has a Ritz Carlton kind of gentleman! That makes the difference!

"Good Location"
Thomas L, 18 Mai 2016

The Hotel sits a short walk from the train station and one block from the Main Street and tram stops. It is a very casual walk to the main tourist area and the promenade. It is a modern hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. There are a variety of restaurants in the area. It is a Hotel that we will stay at again.

"Under expectations!"
98lina, 10 Mai 2016

The location is ok although by night is very noisy because the slamming doors ( is the only way to close them). I stayed 7 nights and i can not say that they took goog care of the room. The most important thing is negligence of the kitchen staff, they arrange the pancakes bare hands, after cleanig the tables and other activities.I also saw sam small black insects flying over pillows.

"Avoid the place "
User, 08 Mai 2016

Avoid! A few notable mentions as to why I rated this lowly. I arrived at 2.30pm (checkin starts from 2.00pm) to find my room still being cleaned. The first thing that became obvious was the air conditioning unit did not work. Fortunately the windows provided good ventilation during daylight hours (you would want these closed for noise reasons come bed time however). After a few hours in the room it was time for a shower, only to find there was no hot water for the shower. To top it off the basin tap only had hot water, no cold. Someone plumbed the wrong feeds to the basin and shower! The hotel must know this yet continue to sell this room to customers? We were then moved to another 'superior' room on the first floor which was not so superior, only to find there was no form of air conditioning whatsoever. A very hot, stuffy night followed (being one level up from a busy street we didn't want the noise associated with having windows open). The female staff member who checked me in was lovely and very apologetic, but the rooms themselves are what let this place down. I would not stay again.

"Superb"
gianfratei, 31 Mars 2016

Great place to stay. Staff real gentle and professional. Hotel just in centre with comfortable and luxurious room and great breakfast. Superlative price for value. All perfect in elegant and clean room.

"Odd shaped room"
Mark W, 28 Mars 2016

The hotel lobby is nice, the checkin staff are all lovely and very helpful and the location is very close to the main train station and the tram network. The bedroom has most things you expect from a budget hotel, 3in1 bathroom wash, towels, tea and coffee with kettle in room. Thats the good part.. Now for the iffy bits. The rom we stayed in was very... strangely shaped. When you opened the door, it brushes against the end of the bed, then you have to shut the door to be able to get into the room. The bathroom is weirdly split into a toilet in one and bathroom and sink in the other at separate ends go the room. The room was a strange shape, it felt like an afterthought. The area was a bit dodgy late at night, but fine in the day. Breakfast was passable, the quality of food was fair. However, it was really awkwardly played out and things that ran out were slow to be replaced. I think the breakfast room needs a rethink on the layout. All in all, it's fine, but there are better places to stay for similar prices.

"Not very good."
Timothy M, 03 Mars 2016

I only stayed here one night as it was a last minute booking and wanted to be close to train station as I was arriving late. This hotel is about a 5 minute walk. But I was very disappointed with the hotel. When I arrived there was no one at desk, had to look for desk clerk. The desk clerk was not at all friendly nor made me feel welcomed. It was like I was bothering her. The room itself was fairly large but in need of renovation. It was a dark brown color with very low lighting. I was unable to double lock the door and had to put a chair there for security. The room did not have any towels and I advised the front desk when I went out for dinner. When I returned there still weren't ant towels. I called the front desk to get towels and when she brought it up to my room it was just one towel. Needless to say, there was not a floor mat either. But on a positive note, the breakfast was very good. Large selection with tasty items.

"Small but bed very comfortable"
Jo-Anne B, 28 Janvier 2016

We slept well. In fact we never sleep in later than 7:00 am and our first morning we slept until 10:30 am! The room is small and so is the bathroom, but for a 2 night stay it was perfect. If you have a car, get proper instructions where to park it. We were showed quickly on a map where to park about a block or two away and unfortunately there are two lots and we parked in the wrong one that the hotel does not support. The man at the carpark was very nice and gave us a discount for a 3 day parking. The hotel was unable to reimburse us for the $50. euros spent at that parking lot.

"Mixed bag"
Lovetotravel1959_04, 21 Janvier 2016

Pros: Just five minutes from the train station, walking distance to all major attractions, well appointed if slightly small room, modern decor, wood floors, across the street from laundromat. Cons: noisy late into the night [may be less of a problem in summer with closed windows] and sketchy area [didn't feel totally safe after 10 pm]. There is a police station across the street but it closes down at night [!]

"Good location, close to station but rooms need a rehab!"
fauberte, 30 Décembre 2015

I'm a diamond member with best western and this location was a bit of deception. The location is nice, close to main boulevard and about 15 minutes of walk from the beach. The lobby seems decently nice but the rooms interior are from another generation with old look and overused furniture's and the quality of the bed was below average as well. In return, the price was competitive for the high season. So if location and price are your main requirements, this hotel correspond to this but don't have high expectations for the interior of the room. Based on my personal taste, We won't return to this location on my future trips to Nice.

"Cheap comfy warm"
Yogamax, 25 Décembre 2015

Great bed, breakfast, shower & cheap too. Easy to find. Internet worked EVERYWHERE not just in the lobby, left luggage, 24 hour reception, maps assistance I could have asked for no more. Blah blah blah as Trip advisor wants a certain amount of letters before it will let yo post!

"Close to station, friendly staff"
lovecats65, 18 Décembre 2015

I just spent one night here, and chose the hotel because it was very close to Nice Ville train station. It was perfect for my needs. Very friendly staff, comfy & quiet room, decent shower. I'd definitely return if I needed another stop-over in Nice.

"Near the station"
WhatAnotherHoliday, 07 Novembre 2015

Well positioned for the station. Had a large room but floor was very dusty - bring back carpets! The breakfast was OK except for the fact that there was only one chap working in the breakfast room and he was so busy dealing with a full breakfast room, clearing tables, washing up by hand and re-stocking the buffet that he didn't have time to cook the advertised egg dishes. On the Sunday he must have had a day off as two ladies replaced him for the day. When we asked for eggs they said "finished", which I translated as "we don't cook eggs". It was a pity as otherwise the hotel was good.

"Comfortable and great location"
lindahJ6923VA, 01 Novembre 2015

We stayed for three nights. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel as there were so many places near by. Very comfortable and modern despite it being an older building. very close to the train and tram.

"Don't let the lobby fool you"
Patrick M, 27 Octobre 2015

Although close to the train station and reasonably priced, I wished I had checked the room before paying. Once I opened the door, I was overwhelmed by the stench and thought maybe if we just open the window to let air out while we grab a bite to eat. Didn't help. Moving on. After the meal we had, I was excited to have our own bathroom but was confused on how a normal sized human is supposed to actually sit on the toilet as my knees were jammed into the wall. I actually had to step out of just to wipe myself and pull my pants up. Ugh, real turn on for my wife I'm sure! So, after relieving myself and prepared for bed, we realize the only plug to charge our computer, phone, camera, etc was in the restroom! On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, we had two pillows each which was nice, the climate control worked, the WiFi was decent, and the guy at the desk was nice.

"(Superior Room) Great value and overall a good hotel!"
Rory S, 19 Octobre 2015

We stayed 3 nights in a superior room. Pro: Great Bed Good WiFi Multiple language channels Nice balcony Very good breakfast GREAT AC! Stylish room Location to tram/shopping district/beach - We were able to walk all throughout the city and bike rentals were available nearby. Cons: Hot water was not consistent. We had some troubles getting the water hot. At best it was around warm. Unfortunately, the shower would sometimes go cold. The handle was also pulling away from the wall. Neutrals: The location was overall good, however as some have mentioned, the people outside the hotel (towards the train station) seemed a bit sketchy. We had no issues with them, so it was not really a problem -- just something to be aware of if traveling solo. Bathroom was fine. The size was good in a superior room. The hot water was the only (small) issue. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and very friendly (and bilingual!) staff. We would be happy to return.

"Hotel De Madrid, Nice"
Warren H, 11 Octobre 2015

Well situated, 2 minutes from Train and Tram service. Rooms are stylishly decorated, a little dark but no problem. We paid for a superior room and had a balcony which was very good. Continental breakfast in room is very good value for money. The bathroom is a good size, however the shower was not good. We could only get a luke warm shower and we did bring this to the attention of the reception. No action was taken. However we learnt that if you kept on flushing the toilet during your shower it became hotter!. The location is great, v.close to shops and 2 stops on tram or 10 minutes walk to Rue Messina where all the restaurants and bars are located. 10 mins walk to stony beach. Overall, very pleased and would recommend this hotel.-

"Good location"
11spenser, 26 Septembre 2015

Pleasant hotel, though décor rather dark so not good if you can't see to get around very well. Breakfast room décor good though. Great location on a cross roads near railway station, with lots of restaurants nearby. Good buffet breakfast and your eggs cooked how you like.

"Convenient, clean hotel in Nice"
Deeirish, 24 Septembre 2015

Desk staff were very helpful to us. Easy access to the train station and buses. Breakfast was ample and varied. Room was clean and very comfortable. We did not have time to explore the neighborhood due to limited free time (attending a wedding in a village close by), but we would definitely use this hotel again on future trips.

"Nice in Nice"
Laura H, 23 Septembre 2015

We liked over all. Rooms quite small, cleanliness on average levell (dust in corners), service and location very good, breakfast also very good. Near railwaystation, tramline to the beach and to the old city quite near and easy to use. Main shopping street also very near. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"Cozy hotel"
Phan M, 09 Septembre 2015

cozy and elegant hotel, not far away from all the central attractions. Minutes away from the Train station and Airport bus station. Close to the high street and many local shops. We've got a free upgrade so we were super happy with our stay!

"Quiet hotel in the center of Nice"
Oliver1001010, 23 Août 2015

We booked a room for a few of nights and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is very clean and peaceful and ideally located in the center of Nice - train station, restaurants, shops and even the beach are all within walking distance. Kind and effective staff.

"Week break"
Allyson S, 20 Août 2015

After initially booking into an apartment we changed to this hotel, we'd read some reviews that didn't make it sound good, but I have to say this hotel was fantastic for our stay. The staff were more than helpful, they went out of their way on several occasions to help us with our trip, the room was great, clean, well serviced, food at breakfast was good. The only negative thing I can think of is that the air conditioning in the room was a little loud, but there was really nothing more bad about this hotel

"Nice hotel in Nice"
Natalie B, 18 Août 2015

Room was nice, we had a nice little balcony out the front and bathroom was quite large, beds comfy. The lift is so small but not too much of an issue. Location is ok, close to lots of shops and restaurants and station. Easy walking distance to lots of places.

"Great Staff"
timd329, 10 Août 2015

Nice location, easy to find once noted close to train station. Staff were very helpful, and made the visit. Difficulty in parking, only available on street. Bathroom on the small side, but good size bed.

"Best Western Hotel de Madrid Nice"
ddelldell, 17 Mars 2015

A great hotel, very convenient for the station, shops & tram. Rooms were spotless, staff were very helpful and I'd happily come back here again. Buffet breakfast was very good & there is free internet & printing on the PC in the reception.

"Good location!"
Youmi C, 07 Janvier 2015

It was 5 minutes walk from the Nice main train station where the airport shuttle also stops. Around 15 to 25 minutes walk to beach and city center. It's very good location! The room condition was fair for the price.

"Offloaded even with Guaranteed Booking"
wildfirejc, 02 Janvier 2015

In the morning of our check in day, we took our luggage there and told the manager we would be going on an excursion and would be back at 5 pm. He told us check in is at 2 pm but not to worry, he will keep our luggage safe and when we return at 5 pm he will check us in. We came back at 5 pm and he told us some story abt flooding in 2 of his rooms and he has to offload us to another hotel nearby (the sleazy end). He also forgot which luggage we had and nearly gave us someone else's suitcase! On hindsight, someone less honest might have taken ours if he was so blasé about other people's property!

"Centrally located"
Heinz-Peter R, 26 Novembre 2014

Hotel is located in the center of Nizza only meters from the main street. The sea is a 10 min. walk away. The hotel is close to all means of public transportation. Fast free internet access in room. Very good breakfast.

"A GOOD OPTION IN ORDER NOT TO SPEND BILLIONS IN MONTECARLO"
Andy M, 10 Novembre 2014

The hotel is in the downtonwn of Nice, near the train station. Rooms are big and comfortable: it is the best choice you can make if you travel for business in Montecarlo and you do not want to sleep there and make empty your bank account. The standard of the hotel is pretty high as well as most of Bestwestern Hotel. The onyl problem is the lack of parking.

"Great location"
Mohammad N, 16 Octobre 2014

The hotel is situated in the heart of nice. It's very close to the seaside (10 min enjoyable walk) . It's also a walking distance from the different attaractions in nice, the shops and restaurants areas. Its the typical "just right" hotel.

"Good value Hotel near main railway station"
David D, 21 Septembre 2014

Good value 3 star hotel 2 mins from main Nice-Ville rail station and main Jean Medecin shopping street. Friendly receptionist has good restaurant recommendations. Room good size, but bathroom very small.

"Nice Best Western de Madrid"
Peter K, 21 Mai 2014

Great location for Nice. 2 minute walk from the SNCF station, 10-15 stroll to the Prom des Anglais. Small rooms, even smaller bathroom & shower room, however workable for a long weekend break. Very quiet at night.
