"Perfect place to stay in Midtown Manhattan"
A4Canada, 11 Novembre 2024

Perfect place for five gals for a weekend away in NYC! The staff are wonderfully hospitable (very fitting with the name of this hotel). The two bedroom apartment was perfectly appointed and extremely clean and comfortable. The location was excellent and it even comes with a hot breakfast included. Highly recommended and we suggest considering this competitively-priced property for your next stay in New York.

"Perfect Spot for the Family"
Stephanie P, 10 Octobre 2024

It's hard to decide where to stay when you're going to visit NYC (especially when you're no longer bunking with friends who live near or in the city, haha). Most of what we wanted to do with our family was in Manhattan, so we opted for Midtown. The Best Western Plus Hospitality House on 49th St was a great fit for us! It was close to what we wanted to do without being crazy busy, the staff was very friendly, and it was actually quiet at night. It's a little bit dated, but truly, we can't recommend it enough!

"Very positive review of Best Western apartments Manhattan"
Roger L, 07 Septembre 2024

A very positive review of Best Western apartments 149E 49th St Manhattan (between Lexington and 3rd Av.) Firstly a very friendly welcome from Maria at front desk. She helpfully provided written directions to a local Morton Williams supermarket on 2nd Avenue (open 24hrs and loads of good quality produce, soft drinks and alcohol. Friendly checkout staff too) Apartment 8B 2bed with large living/dining area, spacious enough for family of 4 adults we didn't use the sofa bed which would increase capacity to 6 but might be a tight squeeze for 6 adults. The beds were very comfortable. The galley kitchen has a large capacity fridge, oven and microwave. Everything in apartment was clean. There were sufficient crockery and cutlery for 4. The shower room was clean with a good quality shower over a mini bathtub. The apartment was serviced every other day during our 6 day stay. The complementary breakfast is a nice touch. The breakfast room is fairly small we found it easier to take a tray of coffees croissants omelettes etc. back to the room for a more leisurely family breakfast experience. The location of the apartment in mid town east is excellent for access to Central Park 15mins walk, Rockefeller centre 10mins, Times Square 15mins. It's on the next block to the Waldorf Astoria. There are close by subway stations at 51st and 53rd streets. The general area is quite quiet for traffic, we were not disturbed by traffic noise. The area feels generally safe during daytime and evening we were happy to allow adult teenage children to go out alone in the evenings. Smith and Wollensky restaurant and grill on 2nd avenue was excellent for seafood and steak great atmosphere and friendly staff. Checkout time is a reasonable 1130am and there is a secure luggage room if returning to pick up luggage after checkout. We would definitely stay at the Best Western apartments again.

"Huge, lots of room to spread out"
cjyap, 17 Août 2024

Probably closer to 4.5 stars, since it's a bit dated, BUT if you can over look that, this is a gem of a hotel in NYC. It is Huge and a full breakfast is included. My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite; there was a full kitchen, a large roomy living room, a full bathroom with a tub, and a large bedroom. The living room had a pull out couch. We were on the 9th floor, and didn't hear much street noise. The breakfast in the morning was a full breakfast. There were warm entrees, fruit, pastries, bagels, waffle maker, coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt etc. Coffee is available 24/7. There are plenty of dining choices nearby. The hotel is on the East Side between Lexington Avenue and 3rd. It is 2 blocks from the 51st #6 Subway and 6 blocks away from #4, #6 and cross town shuttle stops at 42nd St. So this is a convenient location.

"A central gem,competitively priced!"
Gerry C, 21 Mai 2024

Best Western Hospitality House is just a gem! As some other posters have said it may look a bit dated as regards 'style' but that's a small price to pay for all the 'plusses' that this hotel offers! From check in to check out the experience was just superb.Staff were so nice, friendly and helpful from Front Desk to Room assistants they knew how to look after guests. We had an apartment that catered well for us,comfy beds, nice kitchen with some treats on arrival.internet/wifi, tv etc in all rooms as well as the things you might forget or could not take with you, such as hairdryer, etc.Breakfast was provided and consisted of most foods you wanted. As well as that there was an endless supply of water and hot chocolate as well as freshly baked treats available throughout the day! The site of the hotel is very conveniently located in Manhattan and close to Times Square and the many tourist attractions around there. It was possible to walk to most things and then the buses and the underground were close by for further travel. Our baggage was held for us (securely),free of charge on checkout day which made life so much easier and gave us several extra hours for exploring!

"NYC - April/24"
badweather, 26 Avril 2024

The hotel is quite old but a great spot near enough to downtown. About 15 -20 mins to LaGuardia. Depends on traffic. The front desk people (one was Mariella (sic) were amazing. So helpful and friendly. Check in/ check out was a breeze. The room was great! We had a penthouse room. 2 BR and 2 bath. A bit pricy but worth it. Huge terrace. Not a great view but it was nice to sit out and hear the sounds of the city! Breakfast included and your allowed to take back to room. Usual hotel breakfast items. The bagels were really good. There's 2 restaurants with in and outdoor seating on either side of the hotel.. One casual and one a bit more fancy. Both serving pasta and pizza. No gym or pool and only 1 small elevator. Would definitely return to Best Western Plus Hospitality House!

"Perfect for a family with older teenagers"
rob_s_mk, 11 Avril 2024

I am giving the hotel 5 stars as it has one feature (for us) that far outweighs a few other minor issues. We stayed as a family of four with boys 17 and 19. We had been planning to go to New York for a few years but almost didn't when Airbnb was banned as hotel rooms are not suitable in the US, i.e. only queen beds and no singles. However we luckily found this place that had two bedrooms (one with two single beds) plus a large lounge/diner and kitchen. Hence it was like having an apartment. The rooms are a bit tired so if you want a modern plush hotel then maybe it's not for you. The location is very central and you can reach a lot of places by walking. As an aside we used the subway for longer trips and found it to be fine. Breakfast is good but busy. The only gripe here is that the room was unbearably hot and hence we didn't always stay even if there was space to sit so would take food back to our room. The staff here and throughout the hotel are excellent. There was a lot of street noise. We were at the front ( level 4) but not sure it would be any different elsewhere. The New York 'honking' is a 24 hour phenomenon ! Overall if you are a family looking for space and location then this would be a good choice.

"Excellent service"
stacyevanoff, 05 Janvier 2024

The staff at this hotel was so friendly and helpful! It was a perfect location for everything we wanted to do! The breakfast was perfect and offered many options even gluten free! We had some issues with the room being too hot at times but overall I highly recommend this hotel!

"Great Space in 2 Bed Apt."
Caitriona R, 13 Septembre 2023

Great space in this large 2 bed apartment, Kitchenette, large living room with dining table, 2 bedrooms & one bathroom with shower in the bath. Everything was very clean with very comfy beds. Small buffet breakfast was included so we got our coffees, juice, bagels & muffins and brought them to the apartment to enjoy. Saw kids enjoying making waffles or having cereal which must be great for young families. Staff were very friendly, (shout out to Doughlas for his help) and they kindly stored our luggage on check out as we had an evening flight. Would highly recommend staying here rather than the cost of 2 or 3 hotel rooms !

"Good hotel in a great location in need of some modernisation. Poor management response to a maintenance issue."
80nellmary, 02 Septembre 2023

This hotel is in a great location and unusual for NYC in that it offers apartment style accommodation rather than family rooms. The hotel is clean but the rooms and decor are very dated and could do with some updating. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offer was far better than we expected and had several gluten free options. During our stay a water pump broke and we had 24 hours without water - not being able to shower or use the toilet was very inconvenient. The staff did their best to keep guests informed and for a short period there was a toilet/shower available on the ground floor until they stopped working. Disappointingly there was no management presence whilst the issue was ongoing and the staff present had to bear the wrath of angry guests. We were told that a Manager would be on site on the Sunday to discuss compensation but there was nobody there at the times we were (early morning/evening). We understand these things happen but it's how you deal with it that counts. To have no contact from a manager is poor and we felt sorry for the staff left to deal with the fall out. An email to Best Western has gone unresponded to as well. Will make us think twice about booking BW in the future.

"Good location , basic accommodation"
bebecailin, 09 Août 2023

Stayed here as family of 5. If you are expecting luxury this is not the hotel for you. This is an old style building but apartments are large with 2 bed (1 king and 2 single with sofa bed in living room) and 1 bathroom, very basic furniture etc. Small reception area on way in and lady on reception very friendly. Uber from Newark to Hotel cost c$130 incl tolls and tip They are clean and the location fantastic on 49th st and Lexington - straight walk down to Rockafella centre and about 10 mins from Grand Central station. Breakfast provided is basic but super for families. Food includes cereal, fruits , variety of pastries , yogurts and usually pre-made omelette or scrambled egg and some type of sausage. Breakfast area tiny but you do have option to bring back to room. We were usually down around 7.30am and it was packed at that time . We had to split up with 2 at one table and 3at another which was fine. The biggest downside for us was that as it is old, the air conditioning unit sits outside of window so our window never fully closed. Our room faced out onto Main Street so basically you were sleeping with window semi open in NewYork and it was so noisy with sirens , cars beeping horns etc ALL night so we so hard to get asleep. Also we could hear dripping all night- we think condensation from conditioning unit above us drip onto our unit (it's metal) so drip drip all night as well. The lack of sleep really was the only downside. Our 3rd child slept on sofa bed and if you ask at reception they have memory foam mattress toppers subject to availability and this made sofa bed much more comfortable If they could solve for the air conditioning / window situation this would have been better - after long day in New York sleep is vital!! maybe if booking ask for room at back as may be less noisy ?

"Traded Fancy for Roomy"
Happy_2B_Her3, 23 Juillet 2023

The hotel has its drawbacks: it's dated, the wifi in our room was awful, the remote didn't work, the elevator was slow, etc. BUT, it's a great location, the people who work there are all extremely helpful and professional, and I REALLY wanted some space, so after a long day of sightseeing we could go to our own spaces and decompress. Our room was basically a two-bedroom apartment, which was exactly what I was looking for. Not fancy, but absolutely no regrets after staying there for 5 nights.

"Girls Week in New York!"
keeyaahager, 28 Juin 2023

A group of 6 women from our family spent a week in this motel while checking out the city of New York. This motel was perfect for us as everyone had a little space to themselves after our long days out and about. There was lots of room to spread out and relax. We were very happy with the breakfasts, helpful staff, and cleanliness of our room. It was close to two subway stations, which made it easy to get where we wanted to go. We would definitely stay again!

"A great hotel with an amazing location - Perfect for a family trip to NYC "
Kai H, 18 Juin 2023

The hotel was just perfect for a long family holiday in NYC - we stayed 10 nights and were very happy all the way. The location of the hotel is simply amazing: It is in the middle of everything in Midtown East. In NYC terms really easy to walk to Times Square, Theatre District, Central Park, the "big" Museums, Empire State Building, Hell's Kitchen - you name it. Big Avenues close by so easy to hail a cab as well. To wrap it up: the best location you can imagine. We had a two-bedroom-apartment on the 8th floor. The room was large, well equipped and most important of all - spotlessly clean. Some features might look a little old-fashioned but it did not matter. The sound-proofing to other rooms was very good (beyond expectations, to be honest) and even the noise from the street was surprisingly modest in NYC standards. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful all the time. You did feel welcome. The breakfast room is miniscule, but it did not matter. We picked up coffee and other stuff every morning and had a family breakfast in the apartment. As the range in the breakfast is limited, it is worth while to pick up some fruits of your preference from local supermarkets. The closest supermarket is "Morton Willams". Open all the time - but for better quality fruit and veggies, do go to Food Emporium or some of the other chains.

"A+ size and location"
R0vingR0sie, 11 Juin 2023

This has to be the best value hotel in Manhattan! We travelled as a party of three, two of whom were in NYC for the first time. The "room" is essentially an apartment, and was incredibly spacious: one bedroom with a huge king bed, one bedroom with two twins, plus a large lounge, kitchen and bathroom. It was perfect for being able to retreat to when we'd had a huge day of walking. The location was brilliant: two blocks from the Rockefeller Centre, 20 minutes walk from Empire State building, and about five minutes walk to Grand Central Station, from where we could get anywhere. There's also a subway station right around the corner that we used almost every day. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Maria who welcome us off a long flight. She spent time to give us detailed directions and helpful tips, and it was a great start to our stay. The rooms aren't fancy, but they're clean and have everything you need, with very comfortable beds. The breakfast is a good start to the day, and we appreciated being able to take the trays back to our room. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and would definitely stay again!

"Great Location and Huge Rooms!"
JakeCus25, 06 Juin 2023

These are some of the biggest hotel rooms in all of NYC, and you won't beat these prices for this location. We were able to walk everywhere -- Rock Center, Radio City, Times Sq, Central Park. The subway stop is right nearby -- we were in Long Island City in Queens in 12 minutes! The breakfast is good with lots of options, and the front desk staff are the nicest I've ever experienced in NYC. I would recommend if you have a family or multiple people and you want to stay in the same unit. I am a big fan and will be back.

"This hotel is a joke!"
Karlefils, 17 Mai 2023

Too many broken items in this hotel. The only advantage is the location, but the price is way too high for poor équipement and very average service. The elevator was out of order for almost a day, the mirror in the bathroom collapsed, and the blinds in the room did not work properly

"Super location"
Dream34371134963, 02 Janvier 2023

Perfect for families. We had a double/twin/ pull out sofa in living room in our suite which was perfect. Rooms a bit dated but were spotlessly clean & well equipped with toiletries/extra bedding/ towels/welcome pack in fridge. Location was brilliant. 10/15 min walk to Times Square. Good restaurants and pizzeria right beside hotel. Breakfast was decent, small dining room so during busy periods was difficult for families to get seating together. Found staff to be very friendly & helpful.

"Bad management,rude people ,cold rooms"
Cemile S A, 01 Janvier 2023

I had to cover the window with pillows and could not avoid cold .It was Christmas night and 28 Fahrenheit was outside . There was no thermostat on the wall to adjust very rude technicians showed up could not fixed .Because there were windows AC with no isolation.Very rude manager even angry and rude general manager he was yelling to me while I was looking for my right with the other manager middle off conversation he involved without introduce his self .I feel free to write negative reviews because this guy does not care about customer.I was planing to stay there 7 nights but I had no good treat by those rude people.Zero customer service. Very small breakfast narrow elevator. The managers has no Human Resources skills over 4800$ for 7 days around 600$ a night and they ruing my Christmas and New Year eve.Only nice think they let me leave my next 3 nights with my refund.I had to save 1800$ and stayed one of Hilton group hotels with great experience.Never will be back and I do not recommend to anyone

"Great for Families"
CookseyMom, 27 Décembre 2022

This hotel is a former apartment building, converted into a hotel, so each unit/room has a living room and kitchen. Some of the rooms (for sure those that face the front of the hotel) have 2 bedrooms/1 bath. My family stayed in 2 units - 7C and 9C - which were 1 bedroom/1 bath, facing the back of the hotel. In summary, I would definitely recommend this for families who want a reasonable hotel close to a subway station in NYC. Below are more details. First - the good: 1) Generous space - definitely unique to NYC hotels. 2) Breakfast - the breakfast offerings had great pastries/muffins/bagels and basic egg/sausage or bacon/potatoes. The space itself is super tight so timing is important, and since mostly this is a hotel for families, there are many who chose to take their breakfast upstairs to their rooms instead of sitting in cramped quarters. 3) Staff - Very nice, attentive, quick to respond. There are only 34 units so seemed like the staff was able to handle all necessary requests quickly. 4) Location - 3-4 min walk to subway station, 5 min walk to Grand Central Station, 10 min to Rockefeller Center. From the subway we could get pretty much directly anywhere we wanted to go, and we went all over NYC during our trip. Now, the not so good.... 1) The units themselves are not spectacular at all. Extremely basic (i.e., low-end) furnishings. 2) The real bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed was not. 3) The bathroom was enormous for NYC standards but did not have a vent so go super hot (OK for us in December but wonder how a summer visitor would take it). 4) Natural light. If you are someone who loves windows, this is not the place for you. Maybe the street-facing units had better options, but ours facing the back and one side of the hotel really had no natural light even when we opened the blinds.

"Best stay at the western"
swilliams785, 21 Décembre 2022

A great hotel for value when there are 5 in the family and need a fair priced option that caters excellently for a families needs. Clean room and friendly staff. Adequate breakfast choice and a great location in midtown situated near all the main tourist attractions.

"Great location"
Nomad43894699100, 20 Décembre 2022

Close to the subway.... Convenient to everything in the city. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast selection. Safe neighborhood. Easy to catch an Uber right outside. I traveled with my mother and children, we had plenty of room. We would stay here again.

"Great Stay!"
westcoaster2022, 29 Novembre 2022

This is an apartment building brilliantly turned into a hotel. The lobby is narrow/confined and it is a bit off-putting at first, but the staff and hotel room apartments are terrific. Large spaces in the rooms- VERY large for NYC. Clean and comfy. Breakfast was good and all day coffee is spectacular. Situated in a very clean and safe neighborhood near many hotspots in midtown without too much commercialism right in your face. The apartments are a bit dark and the heating/cooling takes some practice but overall very comfortable. Highly recommend for larger parties.

"Poorly Run"
927dallasn, 27 Novembre 2022

We oeiginally booked 2-BR suite for 4 nights at $2350. Told on arrival that every suite except penthouse had just one bathroom. Two 13-year olds were w us, and Amanda at front desk added an extra $80 for the stay. We awoke extra early to rotate thru small bathroom with no vanity (using single lobby toilet when it wasn't out-of-order) and went touring. That afternoon, Amanda at front desk had locked us out of our room, saying we should've paid $160 extra for both children. Despite it being her mistake, everyone sat outside the room for an hour because Amanda then overcharged the bill, claiming it was tax. When her manager finally came, he let us into the room while they "corrected tax charge" in the system. Adding insult to injury, Amanda even said loud enough for all to hear "I'll bet she's using Amex to deny the charge". For $2500, better off booking 2 adjoining rooms elsewhere, getting 2 full bathrooms and professional hospitality.

"Manhattan apartment"
Bryan S, 11 Novembre 2022

Good location. Nice sized apartment with everything clean and working. Staff were very nice and very helpful. Didn't use the kitchen for cooking but it's newly updated and clean as well. A lot of good restaurants anywhere in Manhattan of course, but we went to a high end steak house one block away. Parking was convenient as well.

"Good for families"
Rwmacker, 03 Novembre 2022

When I first walked into the apartment I felt disappointed, it's very tatty around the edges and looks dated. The blinds in our bedroom hadn't been pulled all the way down but they were in between two windows, the window on our side had been screwed to prevent opening so couldn't alter this at nighttime, very strange. There were stains on pelmets and everything was generally well worn. After my initially disappointment the place grew on me. The space is very beneficial for a family. I have 12 and 14 year old sons and the sofa bed was a very good size for them to sleep on comfortably. The shower was hot and powerful. For New York the street was quiet at nighttime and we were only on second floor. It was beneficial to have the kitchen to keep snacks and water in the fridge. The place to eat breakfast is very cramped and hot, limited choice but enough to set you up for the day. Can take it up to your room. Overall very satisfactory but could definitely do with a facelift in the apartments

"The best place for families"
gbbb2022, 01 Octobre 2022

I have previously travelled to New York alone and always found the hotel rooms very small. I brought my family with me on this trip so needed more space and this hotel was perfect. Bedroom, spacious living room, bathroom and kitchen. The breakfast had a good selection and there is tea and coffee available all day.

"John Sinaga"
Johnson S, 15 Septembre 2022

During our 35 day stay in New York, this hotel was the most satisfying for our family. There is a kitchen, family room, dining table, bedroom, study table, bathroom, all of which are very spacious and clean. While other hotels tend to be cramped. This hotel is highly recommended because the facilities are complete, including a good breakfast menu, and also the location is very strategic.

"A great option in Midtown"
adricornell, 10 Septembre 2022

I forgot about this property, which is a hidden gem in Ams. It's centrally-located, and the suites are a full NYC apartment. You will hear the sounds of NYC, and there isn't much natural light, but that's to be expected, given its location. Amanda was beyond terrific and made sure I felt like a valued guest.

"Good"
klynchlouth1515, 07 Septembre 2022

Everything you want in apartment. We had an issue with the toilet engineer was very rude sorting out our toilet walked in with no notice. Reception was very friendly and couldn't do enough to help with any queries we had.

"Clean, spacious and great location"
janemesser, 23 Août 2022

Spacious clean apartment in a great location in midtown Manhattan. You can walk to lots of sights from here like Times Square, Rockefeller and Grand Central. Breakfast is included - it's pretty basic or alternatively there are lots of good places to eat nearby. I'd recommend ‘Blank slate' , ‘Abaita' and ‘The Smiths' all less than a couple of blocks away. The apartment was pretty quiet too considering the location and nice and cool even in August with air con in all rooms. Our apartment was well equipped for a family of 4 (with 2 teens ) with kitchen, living room and two large bedrooms. Cheaper than paying for two hotel rooms and more space for everyone.

"Perfect for families!"
jennifer_trvlr, 15 Août 2022

We stayed in a two-bedroom suite as a family of 5. Spacious (and clean) bedrooms, large living room, convenient kitchen, and free breakfast! We will consider staying at this hotel for future stays because of the space and close distance to many NYC attractions and restaurants. The thoughtful welcome basket was a nice touch as well! Highly recommend!

"Stay here! It's perfect!"
Wtxlife, 26 Juin 2022

We had a great stay in our 1 bedroom apartment. Great location. Subway 2 blocks away. Walgreens 2 blocks. I worried about some reviews but all was great. Amanda (Front desk)was the bomb! She answered some questions before our trip on the phone and was an even better help the week we were there! Don't let the reviews of the one elevator scare you. We didn't ever wait very long and if it was longer than we wanted we took the stairs. Breakfast was great. Every option you want. Hotel was clean everyone was friendly! Reviews about small dining and lobby area are pretty irrelevant if you are on vacation you won't be spending much time in those areas. Many thanks to the staff! Made our 6 day stay awesome!

"A Pleasant Surprise!"
Groovingranny, 25 Juin 2022

When I first entered the small, cramped lobby, I was taken aback and expected a negative experience. Boy was I wrong! The rooms here are spacious, comfortable apartments, far bigger than any I have experienced in a large city. Breakfast was much better than most in the time of covid. The entire staff was welcoming and accommodating. Location was perfect. Delicious restaurants within walking distance, and all attractions were reachable by walking or a short cab ride. This might not be the most upscale hotel, but it is perfect for a family vacation. I would stay here again anytime.

"Great stay in Midtown Manhattan"
Pandamonkey79, 05 Juin 2022

We stayed for seven nights at the Best Western Plus Hospitality House on East 49th Street. We had a great stay due to the following reasons: - Hotel arranged private pickup from Newark Liberty Airport - Very welcoming front desk staff on arrival. All the hotel staff were excellent throughout our stay. - Very spacious rooms, especially for Manhattan. Rooms are also self catering. - Excellent included breakfast each day, plus 24hr tea & coffee downstairs - Location on East 49th Street was fantastic, you are only a 5 minute walk from 5th Avenue / Rockefeller Centre / UN and 10 minutes from Times Square / Grand Central / Bryant Park - Hotel was very quiet at night when sleeping All in all, we had a great time at this hotel and would heartily recommend it to others.

"Spacious accommodations for family"
danananigian, 05 Juin 2022

Stayed here with my mother and two teenage daughters. We wanted a place where we could spread out and have some space and each have a comfortable sleeping arrangement. I was slightly worried about booking this hotel because it is a 3 star hotel and we normally stay in 4 star hotel or 5 star. The accommodations ended up being perfect. The apartment we stayed in was big and clean, two bedrooms, one room with a a queen bed and the other with a king bed and a big kitchen, living room and dining room. The sofa also folds out to a very comfortable bed. The apartment was really nice and clean. It was great having breakfast every morning. The breakfast had hot and cold options, something for everyone. The woman who helped at breakfast, Rosa, was helpful and accommodating. The location is this hotel is great, a 20 minute walk to Times Square. There is a pizza place on same block and a great market/eatery a block away called Duke. We ate at Duke almost everyday because there is something for everyone there and it's less expensive than a restaurant. Amanda at the front desk was really very helpful too, going above and beyond to answer our questions. This is really a cute little hotel, with lots of living space and great breakfast. Everyone staying there was a family with kids, lots of international people. I would definitely recommend and will stay there again.

"Horrific Service & Destroyed Dreams"
G2207, 01 Mai 2022

We were booked into an appartment with 2 beds, 2 bath and balcony, having booked (via booking.com) in August last year. I've been in communication with the hotel since January. They have cancelled our booking with less than 2 weeks notice!!! The reason given is they didnt log it in their system and are now double booked. I'm left at this late stage with few alternatives, and we have specific requirements due to the health of one of the ladies I'm travelling with. She has a degenerative disease and we knew we needed specific living arrangements that this hotel provided. This is a holiday of a lifetime given her weak health and is a nightmare trying to find alternative accommodation at this late stage. The hotel have never messaged me directly and their rudeness in lack of response let alone how they have treated us is beyond horrific. We're left struggling to find something and there as been a lack of decency to even respond to my polite enquiries. Horrific service, destroyed holiday and significant stress. Dont take the risk and be treated like we have been

"No hot water one day - still haven't heard back from general manager"
Bangkokgal, 10 Avril 2022

I do not like to give negative reviews, however I left a message at the front desk for the manager to call me from a week ago and then I called a few days later and left a voicemail message with the manager, but still no return call. My biggest complaint is that we had no hot water for one of our days of stay, which was miserable for our group to not be able to shower (it was out in the whole building). I see from another review that someone was comped for one night of stay for the same issue - I would like to get comped for one night as well please. I would not have complained like this in a review if someone had called me back and comped us for one night. I think the unit we got was likely one of the worst in the building - unfortunately nothing else was available when we checked in, however the price we paid was high given the quality of our unit. The positive of this place is the space and location - if you want an apartment rather than a hotel room, this place delivers (we had a 2 BR). The front desk staff for our check in was lovely. The front desk staff for the water issue and check out was less helpful. The parking was also great - the hotel has a deal with a garage a block away and our rate was $40 per 24 hour period for our Honda Odyssey - they valeted it at the garage entrance. Breakfast was standard - we skipped it after the first day because the coffee was awful and there are better options for going out nearby, but for those who just want a free breakfast, it's there. Kitchen is a galley but not well stocked if you want to cook (luckily we didn't want to) - there are enough dishes to eat and drink takeout plus a refrigerator. The beds are ok, but the pillows are the worst! We had 8 pillows in the apartment and none of them were comfortable. The hotel needs to change out the pillows for new ones. There is also a lot of street noise - sirens etc. - without soundproofing, but it is a city. Also, the apartment furniture is rather old and shabby, but it's serviceable. I don't know if that was an issue just in our unit, or if all units are like this. Really disappointed as a lot of the TripAdvisor reviews of this place were glowing - maybe they had different units, are not used to staying in nice hotels, or are families with toddlers that prefer space to other amenities. That said, if the hotel makes this right by comping a room and if I could find a better rate in the future, I would consider staying again as I am a Best Western rewards member and the location and parking option was good as was the amount of space.

"Horrible choice"
saadiyar123, 31 Mars 2022

One of the worst experience and choice we made. DONT choose them, oresls u suffer. The lift kept on breaking down for over 4 days. We were put up on the 6th floor and had to climb stairs everytime it broke as there was only one elevator. The 2nd day the heater in the room was not working, despite repeated calls no one came to the room to fix it and it was -11 degrees outside. The room windows wouldn't close fully so there would be air coming through. The third day the boiler broke down so there was no hot water in the toilet. Trying taking a shower when the outside temperature is minus and water is running cold. This is from the first day, not later. One of the terrible experience. Bad bad choice

"Good location and price, but be prepared to climb stairs"
Culture64839069064, 31 Mars 2022

We were traveling with a large family group and the location and price for two bedrooms was great. However, the elevator broke down almost daily during our stay and being on the 9th floor with smaller children, this was difficult. The heat in the rooms cannot be controlled and some of the window AC units were missing, until we requested them due to being way too hot in the room. One broke while we were there but they did come and fix it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, quick to respond.

"Excellent staff. Spacious, very clean apartment room in a terrific location. Nice breakfast."
911didnotchangeme, 19 Mars 2022

The most important information is that the staff is just great and extends themselves to help without request. From front desk to housekeeping all were pleasant, caring, helpful and capable. Among them, they have numerous languages: Spanish, French, English ... The staff is very good about covid and masking. The tourists, not so much. We stayed for several days in PH B. The view was fine, nothing special, but the apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It's a full kitchen with normal appliances and we used it daily. Could use a few more utensils and cooking implements, but we were able to manage. As others have noted, the elevator is small and can be a bit cranky. It could happen that you'd need to take the stairs. So, if you have problems with stairs, plan accordingly. We will definitely be back and recommend BW Hospitality House to family and friends.

"Great value and convenient location"
nairnf, 07 Mars 2022

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 3 years and have always been very satisfied with the services and value. We particularly enjoy the convenience of having a separate kitchen and living room, which includes a dining table and chairs and desk. The included breakfast has an excellent variety of hot and cold items, which is an exceptional value.

"Fresh & Clean"
lin882022, 27 Février 2022

Welcoming, cozy, clean, hardwood floors a bonus. Warm in winter and able to adjust temperature by fan. Good breakfast in the morning. Apartments with living room and kitchen available. Will go back again!

"Great Accommodations and Fantastic Staff"
N8264IOkristenm, 24 Février 2022

The room was large, clean and comfortable. It did have a faint musty smell to it but given that the building is old, I let it slide. The water pressure wasn't that great but we were on the 9th floor. The food was good also. The best thing was the staff, particularly Mariela. She was so helpful working out a confusing situation before we stayed there and once we arrived, she was even more fantastic. She was helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we knew all the information we could need to navigate the city. The day we were leaving the front desk person (not Mariela but another person who was also great), allowed us to store our bags for a while so we could walk around a bit before leaving NYC. Great customer service and I would go there again

"Great staff. Good size room/apt. Great value"
188rupertl, 09 Janvier 2022

As usual, staff make all the difference. Really pleasant and helpful staff ironed out the hiccup of no hot water one night and we got a full refund for the night. Front desk guy Dana really helpful. Breakfast ok if other guests don't get there first and steal everything.

"Walking Distance to Times Square...."
80amya2021, 31 Décembre 2021

BWHH was a great choice. It's close to Times Square, Fifth Ave, Bryant Park, etc. Close to the subway, restaurants and grocery/pharmacy stores. Rooms are basically apartments. Had 2 bdrms, a full kitchen, dining area and living room w/sofabed.

"Spacious accommodation"
chloesecho, 28 Décembre 2021

I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the apartment. If you have kids, this is a good choice! Close to many attractions. There are restaurants and a pizza place next door. We had to change our travel plans at the last minute and the hotel manager was very accommodating - no issues!

"Great family hotel."
Trip820046, 30 Novembre 2021

Many NYC hotel options were well beyond on budget. Not so with the BWP Hositality House. Had spacious 2 bedroom room in a great Manhattan location that let us walk to all the sights. Highly recommend it.

"Best Best Western to use, avoid BW Herald Square"
sbraun0101, 29 Novembre 2021

Excellent location and amenities. Kind staff, room well stocked and comfortable. The BW Hospitality House is the best one to use in this area. On this same trip I also stayed at the BW Herald Square due to using up covid credits. The Herald Square is rating as premiere is dishonest, no amenities, staff made many mistakes, a badly operated hotel. This Hospitality House was great!

"Great stay, large room. Family vacation"
Faith G, 17 Octobre 2021

We cannot say enough about staff here! They all get an”A” rating! It's the difference between a good stay and a great stay! Room huge by New York standards, w/ kitchen, living/dining area w/seating for 6, king &queen bedrooms, plenty of closet space throughout. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, again, staff being the silver lining! Due to Covid-19 precautions we were asked to eat in room when hotel was busy, which I actually preferred anyway.

"Excellent 3 star accommodations in Manhattan."
zatyka, 01 Octobre 2021

My wife and I vacation in NYC every year. We usually go to a budget hotel with highly efficient rooms, but this was the first year we took our son (1 year old), and a tiny hotel room wasn't going to cut it. After searching long and hard, we landed on this hotel because they basically offered 1 bedroom apartments with a separate bedroom, living room, and full kitchen. This was SO helpful with a baby. It was easy to prepare snacks for the day, give the baby space to run around, and give my wife and I our own separate space to spend time while the baby was sleeping. The location in midtown was great. We were able to walk to almost everywhere. There was good dining in the area, though for some reason, you had to walk like 10 blocks to find a food cart to scratch that late night itch. Oh well, can't blame the hotel for this. The hotel really is a solid 3 star hotel. You won't have all the amenities of a 4 or 5 star hotel, but you shouldn't expect to. What you do get is way more space than most hotels in NYC, where you're basically left alone, which is my preference. There are a few things I could point out that could have been better (e.g. I'm tall and there were clearly some places that were getting cleaned by shorter staff), but overall I was extremely satisfied. I'm sure I'll be vacationing in NYC again next year, and assuming I can get a decent price, I'm very likely to stay here again.

"Good solution for a family"
HowardMich, 24 Septembre 2021

My grown daughter, husband and I just spent 7 nights at this hotel for a long overdue vacation. It was great having separate rooms and even 2 TVs. The location is pretty quiet and just a few blocks to the subway. Many decent/good restaurants on 3rd Ave and Ess-a-Bagel is super close. The trip was made extra exciting because President Biden was literally staying around the corner at the Intercontinental Hotel. I have never seen so many secret service and police roaming around in my life. Our street was partially blocked off because of the president's visit. I want to give a special shout out to Mr. Luna who was at the front desk when we checked in and was there when we checked out. Very helpful. Got us a ride to the airport. Which considering how many streets in our area were blocked off - that was an accomplishment. He was really nice and just kept saying he was just doing his job. Some of the other staff on the front desk were terrible. Literally never ever looked up or acknowledged us over the week we stayed there. When you consider that "the lobby" is literally the size of a corridor - means there is no way they could of missed us walking by. My only criticism of the room is the following: the air conditioning units appear to be old and were so damn noisy we kept them off at night. Further frustrating was the fact that most of the large windows are nailed shut. Could only open a few of them a couple of inches. Led to some very warm/hot nights while trying to sleep. Get new air conditioning units and all would be great at this hotel.

"great property"
Elissa G, 13 Septembre 2021

Love the place, It was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. In a fabulous location. You can tell it was once an apartment house turned into a hotel, but that is the great part because you have more room than your average hotel.

"Great Experience!!"
lwimette, 16 Août 2021

Our family traveled to NYC for vacation, and stayed at the Best Western Plus Hospitality House. Everything was perfect. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and in waning Covid times when they couldn't offer daily housekeeping services they were always available to meet our individual housekeeping needs. The size of our space was perfect to fit the 6 of us, roughly 1100 sq ft, AND we had a FULL kitchen. This was perfect for our family, to cut down on expenses AND also to be able to keep and cook meals in the hotel. The location was also perfect.....2 blocks from a grocery store, 2 blocks from a subway station and approximately 5-6 blocks from Time Square. This lodging option was PERFECT for our family.

"My first choice for a hotel in NYC!"
jdresearch2, 09 Août 2021

Fantastic rooms (large) in a fantastic location, but most of all, fantastic staff! Dana and Eddie and Mariella were always so nice and so helpful! They are the reason we will be back, and I will recommend to all my friends.

"Great place to stay!"
Nancyee24, 08 Août 2021

This is not a fancy hotel but it was Perfect for our stay. We stayed in the Penthouse A with lots of room and a terrace to go outside and hear the hustle and bustle below while sipping cocktails. It also had a fully functional kitchen with enough utensils and a dishwasher.

"Great Midtown hotel"
ChrisC88304, 05 Août 2021

Great location, large suites with full kitchens make this our go-to hotel in NYC. There isn't much of a lobby or a gym, but the rooms are great and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Noise level was low for midtown NYC.

"Worth it"
AmberkayP, 02 Juillet 2021

2 bedroom apartment, hardwood floors throughout, full kitchen, lots of space. all the amenities of home, smack dab in the middle of Manhattan. Clean, great location to subway, timesquare etc. we'll definitely be going back on our next trip to NYC

"NYC 2021"
Patricia S, 26 Juin 2021

Your stay won't be any better anywhere else in New York! Close to wonderful restaurants, subway, on a crosstown bus route and close to the subway! The professionalism of the general manager and his staff at this hotel is the best!

"family post pandemic trip"
hainim2013, 25 Juin 2021

This hotel is more for family who love lots room and don't expect luxury. Pro: good location. lots restaurant nearby. we have two bed room with full kitchen. employee are very nice. very reasonable price. Cons: lots street noise at night. no self service washer and dry in the hotel.

"Fantastic location"
DarrenLee222, 14 Juin 2021

This was our 2nd time staying here. The first was 8 months ago and now we just stayed 4 nights prior to Christmas. For a family of 6, you cannot find a better hotel. It is in a fantastic location, close to everything but off the busy streets to give you some breathing room in the city. Walgreens, grocery, pizza shop, etc all within a block. We get a 2 bedroom suite. Some things we love: 2 separate bedrooms, each bedroom has closets and it's own TV, windows that OPEN for fresh air (even in the bathroom), hardwood floors instead of dirty hotel carpet, full size fridge, friendly security staff at the desk all night, smiling faces of employees. If I could improve anything, it's the amount of electrical outlets. There is nothing next to the bed to charge a phone. Maybe they should get some new lamps that accommodate this.

"Spacious suite in convenient location… great for families!"
clairey707, 14 Juin 2021

We had a fantastic experience here. Located in Midtown East 1.5 blocks from the subway, the location was very convenient. Our room was huge! The bedroom had a King-sized bed with plenty of space for a travel crib, plus a full-sized kitchen and a living/dining area that comfortably fit a table for 6, even when the pullout couch was out. The water pressure/temperature in the roomy bathroom (which included a tub… good for kids' bath time!) was great, the A/C window units ACTUALLY kept the room cool, and the suite had closets galore. The grab-and-go breakfast included 2 cold and 1 hot option, which is pretty good for pandemic-era standards. Our family of 5 LOVED this hotel, and we plan on staying here again next time we visit NYC!

"Room was like an Apartment!"
dakotalayne, 09 Juin 2021

The staff at this hotel were SUPER helpful during the booking process. They also were very helpful during our stay. I can not say enough good things about them. When we arrived the lobby was a bit deceiving, in that it was super small (a narrow hallway), but the rooms…! It appears this was an older apartment complex that was converted to a hotel. Our room had a galley kitchen, spacious living room, and 2 large actual bedrooms with closing doors. They also had hardwood floors. It was very relaxing to come back to after a hectic day running around the city. We were just 7 blocks from Grand Central Terminal, and only a block and a half from a Subway stop, so travel in and out of the city was a snap. There were even 2 pizza restaurants next to the hotel. Also close to shopping and Rockefeller Center. We would certainly stay there again.

"Friendly and convenient"
pineappleexpress85, 04 Juin 2021

The location was great to see downtown and uptown sights. The staff always had a smile and greeted us as we came in or out of the hotel. Always had an answer to our questions and help when room keys failed. For a low key stay go with the hospitality house.

"San Francisco to NYC 5 day trip with my daughter."
SanFranciscoMaggie, 03 Juin 2021

5 day mission accomplished trip to secure apartment for my daughter, whom will be starting nursing school in NYC this summer. The BW Hospitality House is a historic, clean beautiful property. Friendly, and helpful staff. Safe, secure and excellent location. We will be returning often and will stay with this lovely, well established property and lovely inn keepers. Plethora of excellent, all price ranging dining options within 1"-3" walking distance. Right outside the door to BW Hospitality House -we dined and the most tasty Cafe Abaita, La Belleza Pizza, Smith and Wollensky. Places we strolled to- ( I am a 61y/o in fair good shape, but prefer the leisurely/sightseeing vs power walk when on in a new environment) 10-15 minute strolls we did- The beautiful and historic Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Grand Central Terminal, United Nations Headquarters, Central Park. $12.00 taxi ride, to the Upper East Side, and then again to the Westside. Clean and newish Metro Bus rides- for $2.75 with a transfer to use again. Had private economical car service arranged by Eddie at Hospitality House for our return flight EWR-SFO. Safe and patient driver Raul, Excellent service-(Jhonny's Luxury Corp Car Service) And considering I haven't been in NYC for 40yrs, and this last year and the devastation of the pandemic, I was not sure what to expect. I am a 40 yr career nurse, and of course safety protocols were practiced myself and daughter. Masking was honored and required in certain establishments. We never felt Covid unsafe and practiced tier level requirements and our own learned common sense as well as most humans we encountered. All I can say is thank to all the humans of NYC. You are kind, friendly, hearty and lively spirited! See you soon:)

"Spacious apartment at a great rate, in a great location, with friendly staff"
trekdaniii, 25 Mai 2021

This was a great hotel to stay in, that didn't feel like a hotel at all. It felt more like a friend had let me stay in their city apartment while they were out of town. It was a full apartment inside with living room, kitchen, bath, and bedroom. While I wouldn't call it luxury, it was very clean, comfortable, well-stocked, spacious, and extremely affordable like you would expect from a BWP in the suburbs. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It's in a great location, with subway access nearby, lots of local restaurants and stores, and only a short walk away from Rockefeller Center and Grand Central. Times Square and Central Park are a bit further, but still walkable. They also offer parking at a good rate through a local garage, and it's easy to get to from the North or East via FDR Drive. I will certainly try to stay here the next time I visit the city.

"First time staying at BW and last time ever !"
msdaniella2012, 04 Avril 2021

Was my daughters 9th birthday . My family went out for dinner and upon arrival we were cursed out by a guy who seem to be on drugs in the lobby. His stuff were scattered everywhere. There was no where to walk and he thought it was okay to curse at the children I was with. He also thought it was okay to body shame my sister. The lady at the front desk asked him to leave twice but he never got up. It was a terrible experience

"Great bang for your buck!"
lizbethjmu, 03 Avril 2021

This hotel was perfect for our family of 5. The suite was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location close to the subway was ideal. The front desk staff we friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Quick overnight was perfect"
Whichway2thebeach40, 26 Mars 2021

NYC is busy and exhausting. The place is a safe haven! This place was former apartments, so there are only 4 “rooms” on each floor. The “rooms” are one bedroom apartments! Our was spotless. Very clean full kitchen, living area with 4 seat table, larger bathroom and comfortable bedroom with a door. Eddy and Mariella at the front desk could not have been nicer. Due to COVID, grab and go breakfast available, and coffee and juice could be taken from the closed eating area. Subway nearby. We went to Guggenheim one day uptown and Soho the second. They held our luggage graciously. Pizza next door. Supermarket a few blocks over (they have great takeout dinners that will save you $$).

"Great NYC experience!"
goselahous, 03 Mars 2021

Fantastic stay in an incredible location! Room was a very reasonable rate for midtown and was a few minutes walk to everything. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Room was huge with a full kitchen and was perfect for a family.. Will definitely return!

"Excellent apartment experience in NYC"
CosmicCoyote, 13 Décembre 2020

Stayed for a week at the BestWestern on 49th st.. Saw two apartments and both were excellent. we liked the penthouse more as we need to be in quarantine and needed space. Excellent friendly, helpful and accommodating crew. Really made us feel at home. Excellent stay. We even stayed a few days later as it was so comfortable and fun,

"Perfect for long stay after surgery"
paperfiend, 20 Novembre 2020

This location was perfect for what my spouse and I needed when she had surgery in NYC and the surgeon required that she stay within an hour of the (Manhattan) hospital for two weeks post-op. Our room (apartment!) gave us the space to give her privacy when she needed it and the full kitchen meant we could bring and cook a lot of our own food to save some money since we were there for nearly a month total. The apartment definitely showed signs that it was well-lived-in and was an older building, but it was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Our room was on the street side of the building and there was definitely street noise as you would expect in NYC. We were here in the fall, early enough that the window A/C units were still installed but late enough that they weren't needed. Management was very helpful and arranged for the window units to be removed early in our stay, which really helped cut down noise since we could fully close the windows (two separate sliding windows, with a shade in between them -- good sound insulation). The galley kitchen included a large saucepan, large stock/pasta pot, strainer, and skillet for cookware, along with a toaster that could accommodate bagels. We cooked pasta several times, and made fried or boiled eggs for breakfasts. Most of the rest of our home-cooked food was things we froze and brought with us to reheat since we arrived by car and had space for a cooler. It might be difficult to do more serious cooking but being able to supplement already-prepared foods was nice. Full size fridge and freezer, full size cooktop/oven, microwave, and a dishwasher. There's a good pizza place literally downstairs, and a deli/bagel shop around the corner that has fast delivery and really excellent corned beef. We were here during Covid times, so we never had housekeeping come into the room while we were there. Every day the front desk would call to see if we needed housekeeping supplies, and we could put our bagged trash and any dirty towels/linens outside our door for collection. Supplies we requested were also left outside our door for us to pick up. All of the staff we interacted with were great! Robert, the manager, answered my questions when I called to get details about things before we arrived. Mariela, Eddie, and Dana at the front desk (and Durak the head of housekeeping who sometimes also staffed the front desk) were friendly and helpful. When we ordered food or groceries to be delivered, they received the deliveries and called up to the room to let us know it had arrived - due to Covid, delivery people were not allowed past the lobby. The entry and lobby are very small and narrow so just be prepared for that when going in and out. We drove our own car for a variety of reasons, and parked in the valet garage down the block. The hotel-arranged overnight price is VERY reasonable for Manhattan. I could have set up a monthly parking contract elsewhere and saved a bit of money, but it wouldn't have saved me that much and the garage was as convenient as you can get to the hotel. For laundry, they have an arrangement where you can send out your laundry to a wash-and-fold service which we did twice and were happy with. I highly recommend this property for those who need space or a full kitchen but would prefer hotel-type management and a nice parking arrangement rather than the unknown quantity of an AirBNB or other short-term apartment rental.

"Excellent Room and Great Value"
dar3272020, 07 Août 2020

Very nice and spacious room. Nice wood floors, clean and plenty of room all at a very good price for Midtown Manhattan. The service was great. The staff member who checked in was very nice and service-orientated. Only downside was that AC was delivered through window units so it took a little bit longer to cool the rooms and the central area (where sofa bed is) did not cool as much as the bedrooms. Would stay again.

"GREAT HOTEL"
janice859, 14 Mai 2020

With the exception of the bagged breakfast during the pandemic, the staff was extremely friendly and they made my stay a great one & I would definitely recommend and/or use them again. They made sure I got everything I needed and checked on me each day while I was there.

"Perfect for our family "
Winkadoo, 21 Mars 2020

We visited New York between 8th and 13th March. This hotel is located perfectly to explore Manhattan and beyond. The apartments are large and well equipped. The service from all staff was faultless. The apartment is clean upon arrival and cleaned daily. We travelled with our infant daughter and can't imagine how we'd have coped in a small hotel room; the space at this hotel is just amazing. We could put her down for her evening sleep and still enjoy our evening in the sitting/dining room where we could have a meal etc. No need to sit in the dark and whisper which we have had to do in other hotel rooms; parents will know what I mean. Would highly recommend this hotel for a holiday in NYC.

"Stranded in NYC with no Money"
TravelingCaterChef, 06 Mars 2020

I am on day three of a five night stay. Until today... I had nothing but praise for this particular Best Western location. The price vs location could not be beat... or so I thought!! At 9:00 pm I began to receive alerts on my phone in reference to the card that was on a hold for our incidentals. I immediately got dressed (I was going to bed as I had been up since 3:00am due to a filming call) and headed down stairs. The hotel had charged almost $700 to my card. At this point please keep in mind the only authorization I had given for this card (my business account) had been a $100 charge. Given that my fist night was a separate reservation than the rest of the stay, I then authorized a “rollover” of the same card for the next hold. The Assistant General Manager, Eddie, was the one who helped me. Upon alerting Mariela, the one bright spot in this experience, to the situation, including allowing her access to my card transactions... she then attempted to help me in every possible way, including contacting Eddie, who then made one phone call and proceeded to ignore her for the next two and a half hours... until it was time for her to go home. In the process of all this the hotel then charged my card an additional almost $700. So here I am, in NYC... with my 70 year old disabled mother-in-law... until Saturday afternoon with no money, insufficient funds on my business account, and two bounced scheduled payments that posted at midnight.... and Eddie just stopped calling his staff back and is just ignoring the issue. What will I feed my mother in law with? How will I get her to the airport on Saturday?

"Comfortable, clean, central, spacious"
8hn, 05 Mars 2020

The hotel is excellent value. Rooms are spacious for central NYC. Everything clean and comfortable and staff helpful and responsive. Good transport connections and lots of reasonable eating places around. Excellent grocery store a couple of blocks away.

"Fabulous Forty ninth St"
Lan_Pat_and_family, 21 Février 2020

Having spent 3 weeks in Europe, we arrived into NY for our first stop of 3 weeks in America. I had carefully researched accommodation options, and happily settled on BWPHH, for the room amenities (full kitchen, lounge, dining, 2 bedrooms with 2 singles in the 2nd room). Our check in was friendly and helpful. Our room was everything that we'd hoped for. As long haul travellers with many bags, it is great to be able to fully unpack and still have room to store luggage out of the way. We used the kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, we found the buffet breakfast to be limited, with unhealthy (soooo much sugar), overly processed and mass produced food. There were many people eating in the breakfast room, so I'm putting it down to the fact that we were spoiled by what the Scandinavians offer for buffet breakfast. For the remainder of our stay we ate in our room, with supplies we purchased from the nearby supermarket. We were more than happy to do this. We loved the location of the hotel. Easy walking to many attractions and subway stops. The nights we didn't cook dinner, we bought take away pizza from La Bellezza just outside the hotel entry door. Also recommended is Ophelia Lounge (5min walk along 49th) for drinks with stunning roof top views over the city. The one thing that we did miss was an on-site laundry. We were aware that we could send out our clothes to be washed, but as we had many woollen items, we were reluctant to do this. Highly Recommended.

"Great location, would be good for families"
cjyap, 07 Février 2020

This hotel is very convenient to Grand Central, just a short walk. It is right on 49th street between Lexington and 3rd. This hotel would be great for families and really anyone who wanted a little more space than is typical for NYC hotels. The building was an apartment building before becoming a Best Western and therefore the rooms have a separate bedroom, a sizeable living room, kitchen and bathroom. (I believe they all have this) The room I was in was almost 800sq ft! The hotel is very secure. To enter the hotel you pass the reception desk and to use the elevator you need your room key. I don't believe there are a lot of rooms in this hotel. There are 9 floors and the floor I was on had 4 rooms, so maybe 36 total? Our room looked out onto a courtyard, rather than the street so it was quiet. The rooms are very comfortable, but this is an older apartment, so it is not sleek and modern. The heat is through floor radiators. (I suppose if there was a very young child in your group, you'd want to be mindful of that). In my room there weren't blackout curtains, rather blackout shades that you pulled down. In our bedroom the shade was between two windows, so you had to open one window to access the cord to pull it down. I wasn't a huge fan of that, but that was the only downside I can find. This hotel comes with a full breakfast, and there are trays so that you can take your breakfast up to your room, which was very nice. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I called the front desk to ask them how to turn on the heat and someone came up within minutes to show me. The room was quiet for its downtown location. I will definitely stay here again.

"Midtown location perfect"
lovesfoodandtravel1, 30 Janvier 2020

Great location to use as a jumping off point for exploring Manhattan. Very friendly, clean hotel. 1 block from the big Macy's and a Metro stop. Decent breakfast which is not included anymore but was a reasonable price.

"No frills, nice staff"
Msaprilludgate, 14 Janvier 2020

I've stayed here on multiple occasions and while it does the job, the location is good and staff are great, it's just not very comfortable. Each time I've stayed, everything is the same since the lsst visit except with further deterioration. This is not a recently renovated property. The decor is old and depressing, the doors all stick and are loud in the apt, the radiator heating is clanky and hot as hell, the free breakfast is super processed and there's no allergen info available, the pillows are lumpy, the beds are sagging and certain rooms are loud with garbage truck noise at seemingly all hours of the night. Pros again... Nice staff, good location, a safe place to sleep.

"The best place to stay in Manhattan!"
Robin B, 14 Janvier 2020

The staff and accommodations can't be beat! You are comfortable and welcome at this hotel. It is conveniently located, easy to walk to many places and close to subway stations. Once you stay here, you won't want to stay anywhere else!

"Great Value !"
Lisa E, 13 Janvier 2020

I have never stayed at a Best Western before so wasn't sure what to expect. However, there were 6 of us in our party, so not many options in the city. We were pleasantly surprised with a very spacious 2 bedroom room with a nice size kitchen. Very clean. Great location and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

"Spacious, clean, affordable and functional"
beckydwinell, 12 Janvier 2020

Our family of five chose this location mainly for the kitchen feature and the location to local amenities. The room was more like an apartment than a hotel room. The kitchen was spacious with room to have more than one person in it. The living room and bedroom was also spacious leaving plenty of space for our three children to play and move about. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and towels. Extra towels and linens were available in the closets. My only complaint was the heat. It was so hot when we arrived that we had to shut the radiators off and open all the windows. We didn't turn them back on our entire four day stay and the room stayed at a more than comfortable temperature for us. The service was way better than many or all that we have experienced at other hotels or extended stay locations. Mariela was our favorite. My children, especially the youngest, looked forward to seeing her every night upon returning to the hotel. The front desk staff was always cordial. They looked up from whatever they were doing and greeted us anytime we came back to or left the building. We have food restrictions so I can't really comment on the food service provided. When it came time to check out, the elevator was down. The staff worked hard to get it repaired in time for check out. In the event it wasn't fixed, they offered to trek up to the seventh floor to help us with our mounds of luggage. I would definitely stay here again and we hope Mariela is still there two years from now when we plan to return.

"A True Gem in Midtown Manhattan"
delvallearellano, 09 Janvier 2020

The room was a full apartment, where my family of five fit very comfortably. The room was so nice that we had trouble leaving the hotel every morning. Breakfast was delicious and varied. All the staff were friendly and helpful. And the location is just unbelievable.

"Great place to stay in New York"
Jenny B, 30 Décembre 2019

We travelled from Australia to spend 10 nights in New York for Christmas. We had a two bedroom apartment and was the best find. It was like living in a home away from home, so much space. Far enough away from Times Square's hustle and bustle but close enough to walk. Great facilities around the hotel. Loved it here.

"Great location and service!"
Harrison H, 28 Décembre 2019

We were very happy with our stay at the BW Hospitality House. It's a small place and older, but our suite was huge, clean, and very comfortable. The location is ideal, close to Rockefeller Center and the subway. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating.

"So much room in the heart of Manhattan"
wferguson80, 20 Décembre 2019

We needed room for a family of five in Manhattan for one Saturday night in Manhattan. We found the perfect spot at the Best Western Hospitality Suites. The rooms are all old apartments that were made into a hotel. We had a king one bedroom with a pull out couch and a full kitchen. We didn't use the kitchen, which was fine. But we had a plenty of room!!! The bathroom was nicely redone. The whole place was clean and tidy. The staff were amazing. When we checked in, the woman came out to the street and helped bring our bags in, so that we wouldn't stop traffic on 49th St. The hotel is just blocks away from Radio City and Rockefeller Center. The breakfast was perfect for us. The had sausage, eggs, make-your-one waffles, cereals. This was a nice treat, since many hotels in Manhattan don't have breakfast at all. The parking lot that they work with is one block before the hotel. But it Was very convenient for us. It was cheaper to drive to NYC and park at this lot, than to pay for round trip train tickets. We couldn't have asked for a better experience from a hotel in the heart of Manhattan during the holiday season!

"good location"
Simon P, 15 Décembre 2019

Apart hotel in great location. Large rooms, but in need of decorating. Would stay here again as its ideally situated for exploring New York with 2 metro stations within a 5 minute walk, and a bus stop just outside of the front door.

"Huge rooms, brilliant service, great location"
daisydbin, 14 Décembre 2019

Our family of 6 stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate my birthday. Mid town location is great, all main attractions walkable, even for our youngest child. The staff at the hotel were all amazing. So kind, friendly and helpful (a real change to the type of service we get in the UK!). Our children loved being able to make their own waffles every morning. The complimentary breakfast is perfect to set you up for a long day sight seeing. Loads of choice and Rosa always on hand to help and replenish! (Thanks Rosa for my birthday message and chocolates!). You can even make your breakfast and take it back up to our room, should you feel inclined! And Rosa doesn't mind you taking pastries and fruit for later on! The rooms are huge. We had a two bed apartment for our family of 6 and it was perfect as a base in NYC. Yes, the decor is a little old fashioned, but it was spotlessly clean, beds were huge and really comfortable and the kitchen was massive with complimentary fresh coffee, tea, milk. Don't hesitate to book this place if you need a comfortable, clean, well located, super friendly base for your stay in NYC. It's a little hidden gem and we will definitely return! Thanks to everyone at the hotel for helping to make my birthday weekend so special :-)

"Great Rooms "
CrisWeiss, 08 Décembre 2019

A real luxury to have so much space in NY. The double rooms are incredibly big with living room, well equipped kitchen and very good bathroom. It is an old construction and rooms can be offered a remodeling but what they offer in terms of space is priceless. It was my daughters birthday and staff was so kind to leave a chocolate for her in the room. Service is 5 stars.

"Raining penthouse"
Amanda C, 05 Décembre 2019

Rented a room knowing there was a serious leak. Ran into the maintenance man in the elevator, which he knew about the problem already. It was like a constant stream of rain. On and off. It got the living room soaked. My kids blanket wet 400 gone, offered nothing to fix my disfaction..

"Slightly Tired but saved by spacious rooms and awesome service"
Jasmine C, 09 Novembre 2019

We stayed 4 nights. So glad our airBnb cancelled on us. if not, we would not have stayed here! Location: Convenient enough! Subway was close by and bus stops nearby had buses we needed for our trips. Room was very spacious! Very very big, which we really enjoyed. Everyone had their own space. Beds could have been firmer. Staff were friendly all round, maybe except for one lady at the front desk who was quite condescending but it could be just the way she speaks. Breakfast was a simple do. Simple, but enough =) Hotel was slightly old, decor and carpets slightly tired. But we would stay here again because of the spacious rooms and great service.

"Good reception, great hotel in mid town New York"
perrypvo, 07 Novembre 2019

The hotel is roomy and comfortable. Reception staff is friendly and nice. Location is mid town NY city, near all time square and other tourist destination. You can either walk to take subway to. Great experience and highly recommended.

"Tired but saved by staff."
Sandies23, 31 Octobre 2019

Arrived tired, disoriented after long journey from UK. Mariela made us so welcome! She was enthusiastic, full of information and so helpful. Hotel in good location for travellers. Very noisy at night daily 4am trash wagon was painful...

"VERY GOOD"
decaugnanny, 31 Octobre 2019

Location is a bit out of the way and if you're driving there you have to park over the other side of the road and drag your suitcases across a busy road. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The suite was clean, the beds comfy, the shower hot. On the down side the air-con is noisy, the street outside is noisy early morning and the lobby/reception area is minuscule with barely room to move let alone get your cases by someone talking to the receptionist. All in all I would still recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

"In the heart of it all!"
James J, 28 Octobre 2019

I had an opportunity to stay at this hotel with my friend. We were placed in the penthouse suite. The room was relatively clean. It was a fairly large room (800 sq. ft) equipped with a living room, separate bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom, and full kitchenette. The room also offered an outdoor terrace with a seating area. The terrace area was suspect. I saw blue cleaning gloves on the ground, used cigarettes in a cup on the table, and other debris could be seen throughout the perimeter. The staff members were friendly and accommodating.Unfortunately, we missed the complimentary breakfast. I would stay at this hotel if given the opportunity. The bed was clean and comfortable. Everything in the room appeared to work in perfect order.

"Awesome Location and Service"
BuzzyBelly, 21 Octobre 2019

This hotel is in an awesome area - close to Grand Central Station (visit the Market there for fresh food) and close to several subway stations. Plenty of restaurants and bars within a couple of blocks. Our room was very clean and the front desk was very friendly - Eddy even remembered our name every time we passed him. The breakfast was good. Everything was fresh and they had different hot options for each of the 3 days we were there. Loved the full kitchen for dining in after a long day of being tourists.

"Great accommodation in heart of Manhattan"
385TamaraR, 19 Octobre 2019

We stayed here recently in a one bedroom apartment. Travelling with a young child it was nice to have a kitchen/ more space available. This apartment was really spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the included breakfast was perfect! The location is so close to the subway and major nyc attractions. I will definitely use this hotel next time I'm back! Thanks for a great stay

"great staff"
Daniel M, 10 Octobre 2019

the staff went way out of there to correct a large problem i created by booking my rooms for the night before by accident, they were able to change my reservation to the next day, (that was the day we arrived and discovered my mistake), and honored my payment for those rooms, just another reason I stay with Best Western as I travel the country for woork and pleasure, thanks again

"Exceeds Expectations"
toddfulton, 04 Octobre 2019

I heartily recommend this hotel. Great value, spacious accommodations, perfect location and gracious service. I'll acknowledge that the common areas are small and that the hotel is not brand new, but in NY all I require is a clean, quiet room and occasional help with directions. Eddie Luna's service went above and beyond.

"Perfection"
J9015CKkellyp, 30 Septembre 2019

This hotel is my new go-to hotel in NYC! We redeemed two nights on points and it is a STEAL for what you get. The points room is Penthouse B, which is on the top floor and the back side of the hotel, so it's quiet (not on the street, no one walking above you), it's large (separate bedroom with closing door, decent sized kitchen, dining area, living room), and it has a great balcony that is very peaceful to sit on at night. The location can't be beat - two short blocks from the subway (6 line) and within walking distance of a whole bunch of stuff, including a grocery store three blocks away. Seriously, this was one of the best points redemption values I have ever had for any hotel brand (I'm also Marriott and Hilton elite). I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

"A place to put your head only"
nannyliv, 27 Septembre 2019

On arrival we had to wait in the street as reception is so small with only enough room for a couple of people with their suitcases. We stayed here for 4 nights and the staff are its main asset! Nothing too much trouble night or day. We stayed in a 2 bed suite The Beds were a bit hard for us. We were on the 4th floor and the bedrooms are streetside which meant we were woken every morning at between 3.30 and 4 am by the rubbish collection....it didnt help that the air conditioning unit is fixed in the bottom of the sash window and only plastic covering the remaining gap either side so it was like leaving a window half open which didnt help any in shutting out the noise. Add to that that the air conditioning when on was very noisy and so none of us got a lot of sleep. The lounge had no outlook at all only onto a brick wall 3 foot away which made the room dark and depressing. But and this is a BIG bonus the whole apartment was very clean Breakfast was a bit hit and miss on the hot selection but there was always plenty of coffee bread bagels pastries and fruit. If you are elderly or have young children be aware that there is quite a lot of walking to the attractions and you'd need to be an athlete to make it to Statten Ferry by foot! It served its purpose but should we go to NYC again we wouldnt choose this hotel

"A Great Stay"
Sithbi, 25 Septembre 2019

Not the most luxurious option but clean and comfortable whilst providing a generous amount of space for the three of us staying. The central location made it really easy to get around. The bed was large and very comfortable - I'm told the sofa bed was too. Breakfast was generous with a good selection so we could set ourselves up for the day. All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful, making us feel welcome. I'll stay again.

"Visit to Grandma's house"
shelirene1, 08 Septembre 2019

The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. Housekeeping was good and street noise was minimal (I like to lead with the positive.) But it's like staying at Grandma's house, very dated. The window unit air conditioners were loud and blew directly on the bed (no central air). The bathroom was a little updated. But if you need all the extra space and full kitchen (which I didn't) I guess it's an option. It was a last-minute booking and the east side hotels I usually stay in were super expensive, so I went for price & you get what you pay for.

"Amazing customer care!"
UKansas, 19 Août 2019

We had to cancel our trip to NYC last minute for a family member's sudden health emergency and this hotel was SO considerate in dealing with us and our reservation. We will definitely be staying here when we are able to re-book our trip. Wonderful experience!!

"Very nice hotel"
Gcallejas86, 19 Août 2019

We booked this hotel for a one night only, just te relax one day in NYC before catching our flight home... Great wifi... Personnel is great in every way! Breakfast is included and it is very good! Some fruit, waffles, eggs, variety of bread and pastry! Coffee etc! Location is excellent! The pizza right next to the hotel is a must have!! Italian style, so good! I recommend this hotel !

"Great location in Manhattan"
C2188YDwilliamw, 16 Août 2019

Truly a gem, large suites, perfect for families and convenient to all the places to see in town. Friendly staff , nice breakfast included and reasonable nearby car parking, having stayed in many Manhattan hotels this will be my preferred hotel in future

"Family Stay at Best Western"
Kate79, 14 Août 2019

I stayed at the Best Western Hospitality House for six nights during August with my family. We have two boys aged 17 and 20 and wanted more space than a standard hotel room offers. The Best Western Hospitality Suites did not disappoint in terms of space as we had a two-bedroom suite with sofa bed in the living room and full kitchen. It is true that the rooms are a little old and tired looking. Our room was also quite dark as the living room looked over the wall of the next door building. However, the room was very clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, including the sofa bed. As mentioned by others, the breakfast is very good, with a wide variety of foods offered. The staff at Hospitality House are very helpful and friendly. All the staff we dealt with...at reception, cleaning our room, serving breakfast...were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. If I could give the hotel 4.5 stars, I would, because the rooms are a bit drab and tired but it has to be 4 stars or 5 stars. I've gone with 5 stars because the location of the hotel is so convenient, the room was kept super-clean throughout our stay and the staff are great.

"Good Location on Manhattan Island"
rosemW8148EF, 09 Août 2019

My grandsons wanted to see New York so we went. Our hotel was in a good location. We had a suite. It was quite nice. The air conditioner worked quite wonderfully as it was hot the first week in August.

"Nice location and room in Manhattan"
fbai305437, 08 Août 2019

Location is convenient. Around there are many nice restaurants, including Japan, chinese food. Less 10 mins walk to 5th ave. House room is good for family. There are one bedroom and one living room, one small kitchen with all necessities. Big room space in downtown Manhattan. One concern is noise outside, including construction, air conditioner, alarm from street, etc. But that maybe is typical midtown Manhattan characters. Breakfast is simple and nice. Coffee taste good.

"Fabulous Place to Stay a Few Days or a Few Weeks"
Michael S, 24 Juillet 2019

We were welcomed when we checked in by Sam S, a friendly and gracious gentleman who treated us like old friends. He had my reservations already to go and took the time to explain some of the features of the hotel. He is knowledgeable and will devote however much time you need to answer questions about the area attractions. The establishment is actually a former apartment house and the suites are spacious and well furnished and very clean. There is an actual kitchen, living room/dining room combo, bedroom, and bathroom. There is plenty of storage for clothes, a safe in the closet, and comfortable furniture. There's a TV in the living room and one in the bedroom. There is a desk for work and a table for dinner. The kitchen has a 4 cup coffee maker and some dishes and silverware. It also has a microwave, 4 burner/oven, refrigerator, and storage for longer stays. Security is very good and there are only 4 suites on our floor. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are visiting New York. Also has free pretty fast internet. It's definitely a wonderful place to stay in New York.

"Perfect for a family"
CGO2015, 15 Juillet 2019

We spent 3 nights in 2 bed suite. The accommodation was clean, well thought out and had everything we needed. There was a welcome basket in the fridge, toiletries in the bathroom and lots of spare bedding, which we used on the sofa bed in the lounge area. The beds were very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep in a long time. The breakfast was perfect for us, lots of choice of cereals, breads, cakes, waffles and a different hot option each day. Tea and coffee was always available- which was appreciated. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Mariela on the main desk was so helpful, giving us written recommendations for lunch and a supermarket all within a short distance. The lovely lady who looked after the breakfasts and the other staff were also amazing. All in all I would recommend on service, cleanliness, convenience of location.

"Great home base for our NYC trip with our family!"
HavekKidsWillTravel, 13 Juillet 2019

With our bigger family, the right accommodations are definitely important to enjoy our travels. We stayed in Penthouse A which had two bedrooms, sleeper sofa in the living room, two bathrooms (a must for us!), full kitchen, dining table and the terrace which we LOVED and ate out on each evening. There is a grocery (Morton's) about a 10 minute walk away and we also did an Instacart delivery to have food to cook in each evening (we stayed 5 nights). This is NOT a new build hotel in the suburbs, so don't go expecting that. There is some older building charm, great hardwood floors...Everyone in our family slept great - no noise concerns. The included breakfast was adequate and appreciated to get us off to a quick start to our day. It starts at 7am - we did miss it one day as we left early to catch our ferry for the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, but they do have a grab and go option. Each morning the attendant took good care of the buffet offerings. We walked to Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Grand Central...there are also two nearby subway stations. Starbucks nearby and as the Buttercup Bakeshop which was a yummy treat. The staff here is what made our stay special. EVERYONE we encountered was delightful and friendly. Our youngest son checked in each day with the front desk when we were leaving and when we returned to chat about our plans. He's excited to come back and stay here again. The front desk arranged our return to LaGuardia. Reasonably priced and great for our family of six and luggage (Suburban). Check in with the desk if you need airport transportation. The only negative (that I do understand) is that the terrace off our room was unavailable M-F during 10pm each evening until 6pm the next day due to construction at a neighboring high rise. Certainly a safety issue but if you book the penthouse and want the terrace available during the day, be sure to call ahead and inquire. We would definitely recommend and return if we ever return to NYC.

"NYC"
Teresa B, 13 Juillet 2019

Great location and walking distance to all the activities we had planned. The staff was so friendly and always so helpful with any of our questions. We had a 2 bedroom suite for our family of 5 and it was perfect! The breakfast gave us a good start each morning and we would just take up to our room to enjoy. Noise level was ok. We were on the 6th floor and still heard the typical sounds of NYC at night- but I think that's to be expected! Close to shopping and restaurants. Would recommend and stay here again.

"Roomy apartment in great location"
CarolineH892, 12 Juillet 2019

The apartment was a good size for the centre of Midtown and close to subway stops. The breakfast was a helpful addition. The bathroom is very small and overall the apartment could do with an upgrade for the price we paid.

"Great place to relax after walking NYC all day"
apuse10, 11 Juillet 2019

This place was convenient, comfortable and accommodating to all of our needs. Grocery store 0.2 of a mile to load our full kitchen. Time Square, Central Park, and 5th Avenue all within 15-20 minute walk from BWHH. Great restaurants right next door and within minutes (walking) of this place. People were all very friendly and informative.

"Lucky to find this place"
musictrekker, 08 Juillet 2019

Typically would not stay in the Best Western chain. However, we brought my teenage daughter and her friend. This hotel was awesome. It was a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. Spacious and separate. Extremely quiet in terms of hearing other hotel guests. This hotel also provides a breakfast in the morning from 7-10. It was nice not to have to go out to find food. Breakfast always included an egg portion, meat (bacon or sausage), make your own waffles, cold cereal, bagels, croissants, toast, juice, coffee. There was always plenty of food. Location was great in the East midtown area. 2 blocks to the 6 subway. Extremely convenient. 15 minute walk to Rockefeller center or times square. 15 minutes to central park. Plenty of restaurants nearby, a grocery store 2 blocks away. We could not have been happier. Rosa in the dining room was so kind, and Mariana at the front desk was very helpful. I would go back here if I return to NYC. It may not be the Plaza or the Waldorf, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. $2300 for 8 nights.

"Good Value"
gcpolice106, 08 Juillet 2019

This hotel is in a good location and parking nearby can be found for $35 per day. Hotel is not fancy, but meets your needs and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good, but the eating area is a little too small, so we ended up taking our food up to the room.

"A place for families"
HeloisaHP, 02 Juillet 2019

A great location, close to many restaurants on 3rd Avenue - including all the ones kids like ! Right next door to the hotel (it is NEXT door) there are two great gourmet restaurants that we loved. The suite was so convenient for travelling with kids: two large screen tvs for the the "rest time" during the hot summer days.King size bed in the bedroom and a large bathroom made our days very easy. Breakfast, with hot item was included in our rate and this saves a lot of time if you want to visit the city and don´t have too much time. We were very well treated by the friendly staff which provided the limo transfer to the airport, which was on time and with great service.

"Well located and very spacious hotel"
Curious50710111243, 30 Juin 2019

Large room and very nice lady at the front desk. Only disappointment was the driver that brought us back to the airport. He claimed another price (excluding tolls) than I agreed with the hotel (fixed price including tolls), who arranged this for us

"Great Rooms for Families with Teens"
ChrisF3702, 20 Juin 2019

My teen sons are too big to sleep in a full sized bed together anymore. When I learned a roll away bed could not be obtained due to fire codes I canceled the reservation at a competitor hotel a block away and chose THIS HOTEL instead. SO HAPPY WE DID! We had a New York City apartment experience with plenty of room to stretch out and happy teens, to boot. Great pizza right next door added to the appeal. I hope to stay there again!

"Empire State Building Vow Renewal"
Nancy B, 18 Juin 2019

The Best Western Hospitality House provides 2 bedroom-1 bath suites. It was perfect for our 2 couple stay. This is one of few properties in Mid-town Manhattan to offer 2 bedroom units. It was clean, nicely decorated, and the hotel staff was outstanding. The apartment kitchen was sufficiently appointed for eat-in during the stay, and Morton's market is around the corner! The location was perfect for getting around Manhattan and only a few blocks to the subway stations. The staff even went so far as to lock away our bags on our day of departure as we had an evening flight. They also recommended limo service for us to and from the hotel, which was also outstanding! This is a gem for a stay for more than 2 people in the City that never sleeps!! Loved it!!

"Angie's 50th Birthday Celebration"
ccmolette, 15 Juin 2019

Andriud and Mariela represents this hotel with courtesy and grace. We had a large group coming in with more luggage than we probably needed,Andre took over and made sure we were all set up. He made sure our room were acceptable. New Yorkers are know for bad attitudes not at this hotel. We were treated as as family with the up most respect from the door. Mariela handle the front desk like a pro she was very professional and very accommodating very knowledgeable on things to do and transportation .She was very warm and friendly even with everybody checking in at once. I was the event planner I had been working with the GM Mr. Robert for a year throughout this time he kept me informed and was very patience with my back and fourth and always answering me back in a timely matter. If was great to finally meet Mr. Robert he took the time to come out and meet me face to face I truly appreciated that. He made sure that we were all happy and Mr. Robert every one seemed to very satisfied and happy. The rooms where apartments style, large rooms enough space for everyone. Rooms where clean my bed was a dream as soon as I hit it i was in another world.Kitchen has everything you need serving of dishes for up to 4 people cooking ware as well. Grocery store up a couple blocks and they deliver. Great location off the beat easy enough to get to where ever you were trying to go. There are 2 great restaurant right next door, I recommend you try them. The area is kinda pricey, but it is New York . I would recommend this gem to anyone I love New York this is my new home away from home. You will not be disappointed . Thank you Best Western Plus Hospitality House you did not disappoint!

"Angie's 50th Birthday Celebration"
Suellyn S, 13 Juin 2019

Andriud and Mariela represents this hotel with courtesy and grace. They are very personable and professional. They made sure that we did not have any issues during our stay .Breakfast is served everyday between 6-9, with a variety of things to chose from to start your day. I would definitely recommend that you stay at this hotel especially seeing how most hotels in New York does not have the size of this hotel.

"Hospitality House NYC"
Departure57042812059, 06 Juin 2019

Robert Gaeta (GM) and his staff continue to be a Flag Ship of the Hotel Industry. Great location and amenities. I have been staying at the hotel for over 16 years and as long as business continues to take me to NYC. The Hospitality House will always be my " Home away from Home"

"Fab stay"
jillsy0306, 05 Juin 2019

We stayed in a two bedroomed apartment, one king room and one twin room. We needed two separate beds for our teenagers (so many hotels offer accommodation for 4 in two double beds which is no good). Fantastic location, good choice of breakfast to get your day started. Rooms are huge for NYC - not luxurious, a little tired and could do with some upgrading BUT clean with lovely comfortable beds and the apartment cleaned every day. Staff were great and arranged another night for us without any problem when our flights were cancelled. The restaurant downstairs (Toscana) was lovely and Dukes deli along 48th street had lovely fresh takeout options. All in all a great find for our family. Top tip...take ear plugs if you like to sleep with air con on, otherwise unplug the air con unit and tuck the cable inside the window then you can shut the window all the way if the street noise bothers you!

"Family visit to NYC"
Richard B, 02 Juin 2019

This accommodation is perfect for a family base in the heart of the East side. 5 Minutes from the Metro its a perfect location for sight seeing. We had a fold up bed set up in the main room which meant we could have 2 adults and 2 teenagers in one apartment which made it a cost effective option. Negatives: The rooms was a bit 'shabby' in places and there was only the absolute basics of crockery and pans. Positives: Great breakfast included with hot and cold food, lovely staff, perfect location and for us the most cost effective accommodation as a family of 4.

"Great location"
Denise F, 31 Mai 2019

Great location to all the usual tourist attractions. Upon arrival we was greeted by a very friendly FOH team member. Rooms are really spacious, with free WiFi , newspaper left outside your room (Monday -Friday) , breakfast provided downstairs , daily housekeeping in which you state what needs attention , ie trash need emptying etc. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. Would use this establishment again.

"People Win Awards"
seemytravel, 25 Mai 2019

As I walked into the Best Western Plus Hospitality House in New York City this week - the first thing I saw was a shiny award on the front desk. Then my attention shifted to some happy ladies laughing and hugging each other. They said their goodbyes in Spanish and one of the ladies gave a parting gift to the other lady behind the welcome desk. Meet Mariela - the Guest Services Agent. She speaks several languages - I later discovered. I was 4 hours early - expecting just to check my bag. Mariela insisted I stay and enjoy a coffee in her kitchen when she worked on getting my room ready. First Wow. Enter Andrew, manager of house keeping. A first year university student from Brazil - working hard to pay for his own education. Andrew just wanted to let me know that he had fully inspected my room and it is now perfect for my arrival. Andrew had my bags sent up along with some chocolate truffles to add to the welcoming snack basket that was already prepared and waiting for me. Here is the thing. Yes the hotel was cool. The rooms: massive. Snacks: are always awesome and the staff where super friendly - but lets be honest, all all these things - are they not standard for any business? In a world where every service experience has a Tip % or $$ amount option at checkout - do we really expect over and above service levels anymore? Since when is friendly hospitality a value ad? I don't think these things separate a business from others anymore. However, here is what I think does. As I was checking out of this already awesome hotel - I watched the award winning scene unfold. The cutest little girl with the saddest little face reluctantly walked by the front desk with her mother trying to cheer her up and out the front door. Mariela saw the little girl and sprung into action - having nothing to do with sadness, she halted them both and rushed to the little girl's side with the biggest smile and said in a tone you would hear from your favourite aunt “you need a sticker… come with me! Immediately I could see the little girl pondering the idea as her frown turned upside down. I watched, actually I filmed with my phone, the rest of the scene - i couldn't resist. I had the evidence I was looking for. The reason there was a trophy on the front lobby desk. Mariela, crouching down at the little girls side, opened a big box of colourful stickers - that transformed that little girls day and mine. This level of care doesn't just make a business extraordinary - it makes our world a better place to live in. Companies don't win awards. Process doesn't win awards. People win awards.

"New York New York what a wonderful town!"
lpridden, 23 Mai 2019

Our long awaited visit to New York was made extra special by choosing to stay here! The apartment was huge! A large lounge/ dining room, lovely modern kitchen, two large bedrooms and adequate bathroom all within 10 mins walk to main attractions! Breakfast was included, good choice of cereals, breads, fruits, yoghurts, waffle maker, and a couple of hot food choices eg ham & cheese omelet. Also range of fruit juices & hot drinks ( available all day) The whole place was very clean, warm & welcoming, as were the staff, especially Sam on reception who was very helpful & informative! Staying here was the cherry on the cake of our wonderful holiday, would definitely recommend!

"EXCELLENT APARTMENTS"
Fluffychris, 22 Mai 2019

Five of us stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in May to celebrate, a birthday we had 3 apartments. The apartments were well equipped (including a kitchen). The hotel was kept very clean and all the staff we met were polite, cheerful and efficient. The breakfast provided had both hot and cold choices and was very good value for money. Situated in 49th street it is handy for all the attractions in mid town New York..

"Lots of room"
Wander21617513141, 30 Avril 2019

This is a great hotel because it is a converted apartment building, so most of the rooms have lots of space. My room had a full kitchen, full living room and separate bedroom. If you had to be in Manhattan for an extended period, this hotel would be a great place to stay because you would have plenty of room to work and would be able to make meals in the kitchen. I arrived via AirTrain and subway from JFK airport. From T4, it took about an hour, then was a 10-minute walk to the hotel. The front desk people were much more professional than at a typical non-luxury hotel, both at check-in and check-out. I was impressed with this. The lobby is standard for Manhattan (tiny). They seemed to have given some thought to the extras that might make your stay a bit more comfortable. There were complimentary snacks in my refrigerator, earplugs in the dresser by the bed (street noise in Manhattan is unavoidable no matter where you stay), and the breakfast had everything I needed (including a copy of the Sunday paper) -- waffles, multiple varieties of syrup, extras for oatmeal, some hot options, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, etc. The breakfast area was quite crowded when I went down there but I just brought everything up to my room, where there was plenty of space. This is an older building. The rooms had been updated and were current, but don't expect a brand-new hotel.

"Fantastic spot for families"
Emily G, 28 Avril 2019

We stayed here in April and was very happy with the apartments. We stayed in 3D. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I cant remember all of their names but we had a lovely chat with Andriu and Mariaela. The hotel was so clean and safe. The apartment we got was very spacious and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was a great addition. I would stay here again no problem.

"The Best but at a NYC Price"
RockynotBates, 20 Avril 2019

There were 5 of us so we needed lots of space. BW Hospitality provided all of that and more. Great location, clean and fully equipped. Breakfast area somewhat crowded but with everything you could ev er want for breakfast, even waffles, I made on myself. Grandkids made them too. Sam, the main man in the "lobby" was great, full of NYC lore and useful information. Woke up to some major jack hammering, but your in New York, what do you expect? Everything worked for us at the BW Hospitality!

"Great Location without a good night of sleep."
Yumikogirl, 14 Avril 2019

Pro: Location is very convenient. Walking distance to Time Square etc. Sizes of the rooms are very nice. Free O.K. Breakfast. Con: Super loud, noisy street side rooms. Avoid them! Our family can barely can some decent sleep during the stay. One of the window can't even fully close. Constant noises through-out the night, very frustrating!

"Great time in New York for Spring Break!"
CatherineH1993, 02 Avril 2019

We just returned from a trip to New York and stayed at the BW Plus Hospitality House and found this hotel to be the perfect set up for out group of five people. We stayed in a two bedroom/one bath suite and had plenty of room for our group. The people that worked at the hotel were so friendly and very helpful. The location was great because we could walk to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. My only complaint would be how small the room is where they serve a complimentary continental breakfast. We usually had to bring the food back up to the room to eat because there were no tables available. They offer plenty to eat each morning and the food was good.

"Great place"
Traveler29722503968, 01 Avril 2019

Very clean rooms. All of the staff was extremely friendly from check in to the breakfast host. Nice spacious rooms. Good. Breakfast. Had the usual waffles, scrambled eggs, pastries, juice, coffee. Had no issues at all. They even stored our luggage for us since checkout time was before we were leaving the city that day.

"Perfect location"
ankala23, 28 Mars 2019

Loved the location of this place! Close to the UN and Rockefeller Center. Apartments are great for take out so you don't have to eat out every night and you can save any left overs in the fridge ;) subway is also close. Breakfast was good, great selection of pastries, offer for eggs etc changed daily. I would definilty stay there again!

"Very Central"
AAS, 18 Mars 2019

Very close to the subway and a 20 minute walk to many sights this hotel is a great no frills option for visiting the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful for learning the lay of the land. The one bedroom apartment we had (4D) was clean and comfortable but not fancy. We used the large refrigerator to stock water and snacks for our trip. The toiletries included shampoo, conditioner, lotion and bar soap. The kitchen also had paper towels and dish soap. Breakfast was mostly a continental setup with one egg and meat dish a day. Nothing fancy but certainly enough to get the day started. The hotel is off a main street but still in a very busy neighborhood with all the city noises. The bedroom windows were double pained and blocked out most of the noise but construction nearby started right at 7am every morning but Sunday. Great space for a family to spread out - highly recommend if you no frills fits the bill.

"Locality"
Tourist24225984058, 17 Mars 2019

Central to fascinating sites and the UN. The rooms were homely but the kitchen appliances were outdated e.g. there was no coffee maker other than a kettle. The heating system adjustment was done manually by the serviceman instead, so couldn't self-regulate heating

"large well equiped apartment in great location"
Julie S, 15 Mars 2019

Stayed in a two bedroom apartment for 6 nights, 2 adult children. Great option for families Very large well equipped with full kitchen and dining area. Comfortable beds, very helpful staff. Breakfast was fine, got busy at times so we took tray up to the room and used our own toaster etc. Lots of restaurants and a supermarket close by. Metro station around the corner, but also walked to times square, Rockefeller centre, grand central station and even to central park( long but doable). The only complaint was that it was noisy at times with sirens but I think that is hard to avoid in New York. Would Definitely recommend

"The Best Accommodation in NYC"
Terence B, 13 Mars 2019

Have stayed here lots of times over last 12 years - but missed the last four years as a result of ill health and weather/flight cancellations. Came for a further visit - this time with son and wife - on the condition we came to the Best Western. Despite not coming for four years, it's nice to be recognised by the reception staff who are always helpful, chatty and friendly. The hotel is close to all main attractions, facilities are superb. Great to come back to in the evening with a takaway and a bottle of wine, have a shower and watch TV in very comfortable chairs. Full kitchen is superb as is the hot buffet breakfast and the breakfast lady. Breakfast is price inclusive - ommelettes, sausages, bacon, waffles, yogurts, cakes, cereals, fruit, cheese tea, coffee, juice - such good value. The breakfast sets you up well for the day - to shop and explore NYC. Thank you to the Manager Robert and every-one for making the trip as good as ever.

"very large rooms"
Christopher E, 03 Mars 2019

hotel was converted from apartment buildings and they kept them the same size. full kitchen, huge living room with table and 6 chairs, separate bedroom with a lot of closet space throughout. Centrally located to midtown but out of the way noise wise.

"Great service and value"
THE_REAL_CYGNUS, 03 Mars 2019

Hard to beat the pricing and service given the location in the middle of manhattan. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Full kitchen, living room, dining room. Clean rooms. Free hot breakfast comes with the room.

"Great location at an affordable price"
arianna24601, 24 Février 2019

The staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend this hotel for families taking a short city break, it's a lovely hotel and is located very centrally so it's easy to get around and explore NYC. The staff also speak several languages which is helpful for those coming from non-English speaking countries. The only thing I would say could've been better was the bathroom, which could probably do with updating (although it was perfectly decent).

"Hidden Gem"
Cary G, 24 Février 2019

Want to keep it a secret so we can book it next time we are in the city. Nice large room, probably an old apartment at one time. Great for a family with two bedrooms and a living room. Centrally located and easy walking distance to many things.

"Perfect"
margouillette, 23 Février 2019

WE had a wonderful Time ! The hotel is just perfect for a family even when you have more than 2 kids! Perfect location and a good complimentary breakfast ! ( Yumm waffles!) and cleaning every day just perfect. Also the whole crew is very helpful and special thanks to Mariela who has been very very nice helpful and smily with us !

"Best Western Plus - NYC"
Judy C, 21 Février 2019

This is a wonderful place to stay in NYC when you are traveling for business or fun. The apartment is spacious and the included breakfast and internet are welcomed added bonuses. The staff does their best to make you feel at home.

"I Challenge you to find somehwere better in NYC,"
G5593RTcb, 13 Février 2019

We stayed here for 5 nights in January 2019. It's really quire hard to put into words what a great place this is. Firstly, the location is fantastic. its located roughly 10 minutes walk away from Rockefeller Centre, Bloomingdales and Central Park and only 5 walk from a Subway. It is surrounded by Deli's, pizza places and convenience shops so anything you need is close. Also some more up market stuff if that your sort of thing. We checked and found staff very helpful and pleasant in chat. We got to our 1 bedroom apartment room which you could actually use as your full time home. Kitchen spacious with all bit and bats you'd ever need. Living room well furnished with plenty of space including a large dining table. Bedroom was large and comfortable with safe, ironing board and huge wardrobes. Bathroom again spacious with plenty of storage. This place is a genuine apartment that you could easily call your home. One night we returned and a complimentary bottle of wine had been left for us. Nice Touch. The breakfast, well it deserves its own paragraph. I'm a big fan of American breakfasts and this kind of set up is easily worth $50 of your money per person. Bagels, Cereal, Waffles, a hot tray of Meat/Egg option, juice coffee. It was terrific. Be wary on a Sunday as NYC wakes late and so it go busy and we ate out. $60 and very underwhelmed. The real shame was the greed of other guests who felt it was acceptable to also make their lunch for the day. We paid the same price of roughly a low grade Hilton in a suburb of NYC, you know them rooms that has a bed that fills the room with 1 foot to move around and a bathroom with no window and no breakfast included and costs at least $12 a day in subway fee's. If your a glutton for punishment or cant see false economy crack on, If you've some common sense get this booked and you can thank me later, To Robert and the team, You was superb, Keep up the great work, the maids, front desk clerks and breakfast girls, 10/10. See you next time,

"Grear location and space"
PantallaMaco, 02 Février 2019

The hotel is very well located and the size of the appartment is incredible for New York. We had a full kitchen, two bedrooms and a livingroom with a bathroom. The cleaningness was ok. But the only thing was that there were no service. They were refurbishing the lobby and the personnel was always busy. I would recommend it because of location and size of the appartment but if you are looking for service is not the place

"Ideal location for exploring NYC"
Catherine J, 15 Janvier 2019

We stayed at the Best Western Hospitality House for five nights at the end of November 2018. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring NYC on foot but is also close to a subway if that's what you prefer. Our room was spacious and kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The sofa bed in the living area is larger than average and accommodated our children perfectly. Having a full kitchen, including full size fridge, was an excellent bonus. With jet lag we were sometimes ready for a snack outside our normal hours! Our rate included a complimentary breakfast which offered an impressive range of options. There was even a gluten free cereal option which suited our needs. The small price to pay for being in such a great downtown location is the outside street noise. If this is something that will bother you earplugs are essential. The front desk staff we interacted with were Eddy & Mariela. They were both friendly and very helpful with directions, information and arranging transport for us. We hope to return to NYC and will definitely stay here again.

"Above and Beyond!"
bhogge123, 08 Janvier 2019

They provide all the essentials for your entire day. Everyone was so nice. Housekeeping was very attentive. Great location, close to Rockafeller and Saks. We walked everywhere. Will definitely stay here again!

"Great Hotel in New York"
Escape28099293038, 05 Janvier 2019

Great Hotel in New York - with great prices! Many things to see in walking distance, such as Shops on 5th Avenue, Central Park, Times Square, Theaters. Our rooms was a 2 bedroom suite with 1 bathroom and a full Kitchen!

"Perfect for 4"
200isabelc, 20 Décembre 2018

Great location, bed was comfortable, breakfast was normal and it's included. Our room was very quiet for New York noise! The price is high because of location, But you can fit 4 in one suite. No need to add anything else.

"NYC"
Sailawaywithme, 19 Décembre 2018

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was adequate. We stayed in a 2 room suite that felt more like a NYC apartment than a hotel room. It had a galley kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and the rooms were large. This would be great for families with children who need extra refrigerator space or wanted to eat a few meals in the room. There was only one bathroom, which was a minor inconvenience with 5 adults. The room was clean, but since the building was older, had a lived in feel to it. Our biggest complaint was that the room was HOT! We could not control the radiator heat but there was a window air unit with a fan. We ended up opening the windows to manage the room temperature. Our location was ok, in between two subway stops and we were able to walk to Rockerfeller Center. Overall a good place to stay for our group of 5.

"Perfectly located for most things in Nee York"
49cheryla, 11 Décembre 2018

We have recently stayed here 29 Nov - 3 Dec in suite 2B and could not have been happier at our choice of hotels. This is truly a diamond in the rough. From the staff to the rooms, amenities and proximimty to all major attractions in New York, we could not have gotten better. The breakfast choice is amazing; waffles, muffins, pastries, eggs, ham, yoghurts, jams etc. fruit and many choices of drinks. There was coffee available 24 hours a day for free. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a sofa pull out bed and they gave us an extra bed which fitted comfortably in one of the rooms with a double bed. The rooms were cleaned daily and a newspaper was also provided daily at your door. Toiletries were replenished when required. We were 10 minutes away from Fifth Avenue & Rockerfeller Centre & 20 minutes from Time Square & Central Park. You made our New York experience what it was & we can never thank you enough. When we come back, we will be staying again.

"BEST Location for a NYC Stay"
knorden2, 07 Décembre 2018

There is NO BETTER place to stay in NYC than the Best Western Hospitality House on East 49th St. The location, accommodations, free breakfast, free WIFI, and INCREDIBLE STAFF have kept us returning to this location for 14 years!!! This is an older hotel with great character and that is bolstered no doubt by the staff members who make you feel like family. EVERY employee from the cleaning staff and maintenance man (Jimmy) to the office staff (Dana, Eddie, Sam and Mariela) and Manager (Robert) is devoted to making your stay the VERY BEST! No better value for your money in the City than HERE!

"Great location, wonderful staff & comfortable stay"
Christina N, 29 Octobre 2018

The staff was wonderful & kind in every exchange myself & my family had on the property. The room was as large as i have ever seen in NYC. Amazing location, just 2 blocks to the subway & with in 5 blocks of Rockefeller Plaza.

"Great Girls Columbus Day Weekend Getaway!"
fpikulinski, 15 Octobre 2018

With being a travel agent I highly recommend this hotel property with having a nice roomy comfortable bedding and clean 2 bedroom apartment with a full size kitchen. The welcome basket was a nice surprise and the hot and cold breakfast daily was very good. With just returning a week ago and traveling with 3 girlfriends we can't say enough about the front desk! Mariela we enjoyed so much with her funny personality and very informational about the area and getting us to the nearest subways and thank you for the early check-in! Mariela, Dana, Eddy and the breakfast staff were very professional and nice along with working with Sam over the phone. Thank you so much for making our girls getaway a pleasant one and look forward to returning in the future! :)

"Superb value for a family with children"
Michael2018-B, 14 Octobre 2018

We stayed for a week with 5 people (parents with 3 children <12y) and were extremely happy with our stay, made up of the apartment (size, equipment, cleanliness, in fact simply the concept of a temp apartment and opportunity to stay with children, as standard hotels can hardly satisfy the respective needs), the incredibly kind/helpful staff, who took care of any issues/questions we had, plus the unbeatable location in the middle of Manhattan. And all this at a commendable price - by NY standards, of course. By this measure, another standout feature was the breakfast, limited as the selection was. This was the perfect base for discovering NY with our children; we definitely recommend the place and will always choose to come back!

"Our Second Time Here"
Carol S, 13 Octobre 2018

We stayed here last time we were in NYC so decided to stay again. This place is not fancy, but the value for a midtown hotel is outstanding. There's a tiny lobby and only one elevator, but inside the rooms there is plenty of space. Wood floors, it's very clean, and there are plenty of windows. There's a kitchen - I mean a real kitchen with cabinets and a full size refrigerator, plus a stove and a microwave. The living room/dining room area is large and comfortable. Our room had two bedrooms, and they're very nice sized. The bathroom is big enough to move in and there's plenty of hot water. WiFi is free, too! They have free breakfast. We enjoy staying here. There's plenty of room to move around and relax, and we don't have to pay a fortune for it. Plus, the staff is outstanding.

"New york"
glenlee2018, 05 Octobre 2018

excellent hotel. Very friendly staff and close or within walking distance to a lot of the sights. Clean rooms, good breakfast. arranged tickets for the hop on/off bus. Staff arranged bus back to airport.

"Great"

"Like being at home in a nice location in NY."
Marcelo T, 12 Septembre 2018

Great space and confortable apartment at a good location, close to Metro Station and blocks away from Fifth Avenue, you can walk to Times Square if you don´t mind to walk for 25 minutes. Eventough there is everything for you to cook at the apartment, it is quite good to have breakfast included at the daily rate. Air conditioner a kind of noisy as they are window models and not central unit models.

"Wonderful Stay!"
trelay15, 04 Septembre 2018

I just got back from a 6 day stay here and it was wonderful! We upgraded our room to the two bedroom penthouse and I am glad we did! We had 5 people staying in the room and we had plenty of space! The extra bathroom and personal terrace was worth it! The suite was large, two bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining room and full kitchen! The staff was super friendly and very helpful! Probably the best staff I have ever had at a hotel! The breakfast was great every morning, it did get crowded a couple of mornings, but we had the option to go back up to our room to eat. The only kind of negative thing is there is only one elevator, so at busy times like breakfast it took a few mins for the elevator to get to you. But that only happened at breakfast time. And when we first got to our rooms, the two bedrooms were very nice and cool but the living room was warm, it was a very hot day so it took a while for the living room to get cooled off, The location is great! Within walking distance to a lot of attractions and just a short walk away from the 6 train. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning!

"Amazing apartment for 5 inc 3 teenagers"
Lemonie, 02 Septembre 2018

Our local travel agent came across this beauty. Wow we were bowled over by the large apartment for 5 of us. Great space and lovely interior. Guess the kitchen could do with modernising but we only ever used the kettle. Fantastic location and would stay here again, best choice we made for a family of 5. We had a two bed apartment on 4th floor. No views but great Blo Blo bar opposite if you fancy a nice salon. Apartment complete with all gadgets. Breakfast was very good, great choice and plenty of tables. Only one morning we had to sit in the enclosed courtyard, nicely decorated. Not sure why people complain about breakfast. All staff very helpful and friendly. This place will get my vote every time!

"Great hotel"
Dave B, 29 Août 2018

We just returned from a 5 night stay and we're very happy with our time spent there. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms are fairly large by Manhattan standards. We had a 1 bed King Suite which provided a great space for our family with a kitchen (including full size fridge-freezer, oven and microwave) and a dining table. The complimentary breakfast was great providing all the essentials plus the kids loved creating their own waffles. There are a few tables down there but we normally used a tray and brought back to our room anyway. Location wise there are a number of convenience stores and restaurants nearby which we made use of. There are a two subway stations within a couple of blocks that will get you to most parts of Manhattan pretty easily. The hotel reminded us of Citadines apartments that we have previously stayed in London and Paris but arguably with better equipped rooms. The hotel is a great base for a city break but if you are looking for a grand entrance with bar and restaurant then this probably isn't the place for you. Would definitely recommend and consider staying in again.

"Great customer service"
Kitty K, 28 Août 2018

Great location and space for a family vacation. We stayed 7 nights with two kids (tween and teen) so opting for a hotel with apartment-style units (with a full kitchen and dining space) made our vacation much more comfortable. We all appreciated the space. The daily buffet breakfast was just enough to get us going, with a great selection of breads, baked goods, eggs, drinks, yogurts, fresh yellow bananas and green & red apples. The cafeteria tends to be crowded but you can take food to your room. Overall it was clean and well stocked. If something was missing or running out, it was promptly replaced by Tsiering (thank you!!). We'd recommend a 2-bdrm unit facing the street vs back due to the elevated noise from the exterior service elevator and overall construction of the building right next door (weekdays as of 6:30AM). We give it 4 stars due to the noise (not hotel's fault) but it was significant. Customer service at this location is simply outstanding; a HUGE thank you to all of the hotel staff and in particular to Andriu, Eddy, Mariella and Tsiering - thank you for your warm and welcoming smiles, stories, recommendations, and overall attention to detail!!! :)

"Unique lodging and excellent value"
mtown27, 19 Août 2018

Just finished celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, spending three days / two nights in NYC with my wife at the Best Western Hospitality House. My wife wanted a hotel that had a kitchen will a full size fridge, was clean, within walking distance of all our sightseeing (St. Patrick's, Rock Center, Central Park, MoMA, the Met, Times Square), with large rooms, and not too expensive. This hotel met every criteria as advertised. In addition, the staff (especially Andrieu, the breakfast staff, Robert) were wonderful, the window a/c units functioned perfectly, and the couch was a nice size. What made this hotel really unique was the size -- the configuration as a former apartment created a cozy setting with large spaces. Our 1BR King faced the back, so yes, it was a bit noisy during the day (nothing excessive ... mostly the whirring of some kind of elevator) and there was no view, but that has been clearly stated in previous reviews and on the BW website -- so no deduction of stars. With the a/c on, street noise was minimal and noise from the other three apartments on the floor was nonexistent. Because of the discount that the hotel provided on the lot located on 49th between 2nd and 3rd, even parking was a great deal. We plan to come to NYC for 1-2 night trips in the future, so will definitely stay here again. Well done!

"Great location. Great choice for families."
SteveWhymark, 18 Août 2018

Best Western Hospitality House was perfect for our trip to New York. We wanted two interconnecting rooms for our family of four and so this apartment was ideal. Location was great. It was two blocks from a subway station for travelling up/downtown. There was a bus stop virtually outside the hotel going east/west to the piers. We felt fine and safe on both subway and buses. We found the subway staff in the ticket offices really friendly and helpful. A refillable metro card covered both. Walking wise you can walk to Grand Central or Rockefeller Centre in 15mins and Empire State in 25mins if you want. Hotel itself was excellent. Again really friendly and helpful staff. Wifi was brilliant (happy teens). Apartments were nice and large. Very comfy beds - better than home! Air con was good but you traded sound proofing of street noise as it's installed in the windows - that said we didn't struggle sleeping. In general rooms, kitchen and bathroom were well kept and clean, except for under the radiators (really don't know why hotel over looks this as everything else is well kept). Kitchen had sink, fridge/freezer hob/oven, microwave, toaster. Nice complimentary basket when we arrived. Breakfast was included and very good compared to other places we've stayed. Lots of selection and the breakfast room lady was just lovely - always smiling and keen to help. To find the best choice of deli's and restaurants head in towards 6th avenue and around Rockefeller /Times Square. In addition to the usual attractions we liked hiring bikes around Central Park, Circle Line Landmark cruise and Intrepid aircraft carrier. When we left for the airport we booked a taxi with Dial-7 who were good and reliable. Really pleased with our choice. Would recommend staying here.

"Poor Service"
charliedee2018, 08 Août 2018

Room was adequate. Breakfast poor only tried once, that was enough.. Manager very abrupt and at times I would say rude. Was told I could use the phone in my room for nothing even showed him the number I had to call only to receive a charge went I left. Must be better places in NY.

"Exceptional hotel in the heart of NYC"
familyoffourNJ, 01 Août 2018

If you're not looking for a posh lobby and a grand elevator, but rather a spacious, clean, comfortable hotel in a great location, at an excellent price, Best Western Hospitality House is for you. This hotel is a well- kept secret in NYC, just steps away from the Waldorf-Astoria; a short walk to Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Station. The suites are comfortable, very well appointed and recently renovated. The breakfast was a welcome benefit to our stay at the BWHH as was the welcome basket. The staff was accommodating and friendly. It's not often that I can say that we had a perfect stay, but this hotel truly impressed us and our stay was perfect. I highly recommend this property for one night or one month. It's that good.

"Small Hotel in a great location"
Ragnar R, 20 Juillet 2018

The hotel location is great! The museum of modern arts, United Nations and Central Park all in walking distance as is the theater district. The rooms are comfortable and generous, this appears to be an old apartment building. An update would be welcome especially to reduce the noise from the street, even as we were on the 7th floor. The breakfast included was generous, but seating is very limited. Either be earlty or late, at 8:00 it is a challenge. The staff works very hard to help,

"Great location with large, comfortable suite, excellent service!"
littlelulu10, 14 Juillet 2018

The suite we stayed in was large and very comfortable, daily cleaning was excellent with extra towels, breakfast very good and staff very pleasant. Wonderful location! All in all great stay! However, the room was old & run-down and needs renovation. The kitchen could be more updated.

"Fantastic!"

6 women travelling to New York for the 1st time. Staying in a 2 bed with a large pull out sofa in the main room. Rooms were spotless and very large and we had clean towels everyday.Kitchen was well equipped and the fridge had a lovely welcome basket. Breakfast was lovely. Included a couple of hot things that differed everyday such as scrambled eggs and bacon or omelette and sausage. Lots of pastries, muffins toast and a waffle maker. All of which were unlimited and could be taken back to rooms. Tea and coffee is 24 hr and u just help your self. The staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here if I come back

"A great value for centrally located mid town."
Bill V, 05 Juillet 2018

This facility is a converted, perhaps apartment building, that has rooms that are bigger then most NYC housing. There is a kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances, a large living area, and separate bedroom/bath. We found it very clean with comfortable seating and bed. It is within walking distance of Grand Central Station, a block away from Park Avenue shopping, less than a mile walk to Time Square. We enjoyed the proximity to the stop for Hop on Hop off bus tours. If you care to eat in your room there are several close restaurants for take out. The staff was wonderful! Say hello to Robert the GM and the fine young man at the front desk. The complimentary breakfast area is staffed by a very accommodating young lady. We'd definitely stay here again!

"Good home base for 4 nights in NYC"
LeftymartinMiles, 19 Juin 2018

Party of four spent four nights in a suite in June - two in the bedroom, two on the pull-out couch in the living room. Nothing fancy, but perfectly functional, comfortable, and good mid-town location. Simple breakfast available in the morning though we typically skipped this as there are lots of tasty breakfast options in the area. Friendly staff - no problems at all - AC units a bit on the noisy side but they just drowned out the street din in any case. For a group of four on a budget in a very expensive city, this was a good choice.

Indeed very central with 15 mins walk from all attractions. Excellent rooms, with the highest standards of cleanliness. Warm & welcoming staff of the hotel. Rooms have a fully functional kitchen with all utensils. The only negative point is the breakfast, which is atrocious. Better to eat breakfast outside or make it yourself (if your room has a kitchen). People to look out for are Robert Gaeta, Tsering Yangon & Mr. Sharma who are very welcoming.

"Location and Value - What more do you need"
SmortonSydney, 06 Juin 2018

We stayed here as a family and it was just perfect. We had a two bedroom apartment that had loads of space and was just fantastic to relax in after a big day out exploring. Breakfast was included in our package and it was tasty and sufficient. The hotel is in a great location, close to convenience stores, coffee shops and most importantly a fantastic subway line. The hotel was always clean and well maintained. Its nothing fancy but its very nice and in a great location. Why spend a fortune when you can stay somewhere great like this for a reasonable price! More money for shopping !!!

"Great Location, spacious accommodations"
Susan J, 29 Mai 2018

This is a great value. The location is incredibly convenient -- central to all things midtown and to transit for elsewhere in the City. This is our second visit and, construction notwithstanding, we will likely return. We had the good luck of being here over the Memorial Day weekend so we didn't experience the construction noise for the first couple of nights.

"I shall return"
orangeexplorer, 28 Mai 2018

Well, this is just the best secret in New York. In midtown Manhattan, you can stay in a hotel room with more room than the average New Yorker's entire apartment. Actually, your room is an entire apartment. It will include a bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful and will even give you restaurant suggestions so you can afford the ride back to the airport. Do stay here on your next visit to the Big Apple. I will!

"Great location, excellent hotel for families"
Jennifer S, 27 Mai 2018

Our family of five (with teens) stayed at this hotel three nights The location is right in the heart of Manhattan, so close to many tourist sights. The building is old and appears to have once been apartment units. However, everything has been updated with a modern touch. The rooms are huge...our suite had two bedrooms, a kitchen, and sitting area. Although construction was going on beside the hotel, it did not bother us. We were on the second floor and slept well, even with constant traffic around the clock. The stafff was also very courteous and helpful during our entire stay. The breakfast has a variety of foods, but is quite small. They have gluten free and dairy free items if you ask for them. I would try to eat early, as a few items, like yogurt, are gone if you come 30 minutes before breakfast closes. I would have been nice to have had fresh scrambled eggs instead of the powdered box kind. Fresh fruit, besides apples, would be a nice touch too. (Our family eats fresh scrambled eggs and fruit each morning, so this is something that we noticed right away. But may not be a big deal to others). But I overall would highly recommend staying here. Check last minute deals. We got a good one the day before arriving.

"Three Rooms for 10 of us!"
JOHN P R, 16 Mai 2018

Family get together in the city and this was a gem! We had two 1 bedroom suits and one 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were very clean and very spacious. Think of this more of a apartment than a NYC hotel, We only stayed one night but we will definitely be back. Parking across the street from was about $40 because we were staying here. There are only 4 rooms per floor! the breakfast was nice with an attendant that acted more like a waitress which was very nice.

"Perfect!"
C M, 17 Avril 2018

My husband and I have both stayed here in the past and loved the location and convenience but it was even better this time. We were travelled with three ‘kids' (19-23) and as such it provided ideal accommodation for us all without the necessity for three individual rooms. The accommodation is massive by any standards but especially in NYC. The kitchen if fully equipped, the lounge/dining room huge and the bedrooms very comfortable. The free complimentary breakfast not only saved us money but also previous time. The selection was great and the kids loved making their very own waffles. All the staff were polite and helpful and I can't wait till my next visit.

"Perfect for a family with 3 teenagers"
wirley1066, 15 Avril 2018

Stayed here for 5 nights with 3 teenagers, location is perfect with a short 10 min walk to into the centre. The first night we were doubtful about our stay due to the noise of workmen working through the night and the windows not sealed 100% due to the cooling units being place in the frame allowing noise to travel in from outside, however we put it down to jet lag and the following nights were fine, the apartment itself is massive and a welcome break for some down time, breakfast was a bit repetitive but quite suffiecient to set you up for the day, (you can also bring pastries and muffins back to the room), staff were all really helpful, allowed us to keep the room on a few hours longer on the last day for no extra charge, and stored our luggage until ready for the airport trip. - Thanks BWPHH

"Best stay Ever ! Thanks Sam "
wwells003, 10 Avril 2018

Not only great accommodations , apts and breakfast , but over the top customer service Sam front desk concierge was overly helpful in making my stay Rememberable that I booked and extra night .. Thanks Sam see you again soon

"Excellent place to stay"
Maureen V, 09 Avril 2018

We had a family trip to the city. My family was a group of four and we we got a free upgrade (without asking) to a two bedroom suite. Absolutely spacious with enough room for our entire party (10) to hang out. The front desk and nice woman in the breakfast area were wonderful. Parking is about a block away and was reasonably priced for overnight stay ($35). Only draw back is that the lobby is tiny.

"Larger than life"
wordsanctity, 07 Avril 2018

The hotel was more than I expected. Rooms were larger than expected and the staff were more than friendly and helpful. Sam at the front desk was very funny and welcoming. Breakfast had fresh pastries and hey even gave free snacks in the fridge. Room also came with a kitchen area that we were very grateful for

"Spring Break in NYC --- LARGE ROOMS!"
DoneTravel, 30 Mars 2018

This hotel is a lovely old style New York apartment building, it is not a fancy "cool" new hotel. The room space tremendous and highly recommended for travel with families. We met so many international travelers in the morning breakfast room. The breakfast room is very small (we were on Spring Break - a popular travel time) it was often crowed during later service (but they do provide trays to take back up to your room, since there is a full dining room that is an option for many), but we are early birds and had no problem with seating between 7 am and 8 am. You are three blocks from the subway (a direct line to Penn Station) and a 15-20 min walk to Broadway, 10-15 to midtown (depending on your pace). The pizza place next door is fantastic (they sell by the slice) huge TV channel selection and the free wifi had a very strong signal. There was a full kitchen in our unit, which we put to use especially the full size fridge! This is a older building, it has radiator heat, window unit air conditioners and one small elevator that can fit about 10-12 people without bags. We loved our welcome basket, the staff, especially the young woman working breakfast. She refilled my coffee and offered my kiddo a chocolate muffin, which made her day! Thanks, Best Western, We will be back!

"Spring Break in NYC"
Nancy A, 29 Mars 2018

Great location and perfect for families. Very spacious suites and fully equipped. Hotel staff is very helpful. Would recommend for families that need a little more space than a standard hotel room. The only issue was that it was noisy due to construction going on behind the hotel.

"A Gem of a Hotel in NYC"
M_Joyce-Kershner, 19 Mars 2018

We traveled to NYC for my husband's surgery at Mount Sinai. I stayed at the property for a week. The hotel was perfect, a great gem of a hotel in a busy atmosphere. The staff and the General Manager, Robert, were always warm and friendly. They very much offered a welcoming feeling in a busy city ... a city that you can so easily get consumed in the hustle and bustle. The free breakfast was such a help to our budget as well. I highly recommend the Hospitality House to anyone traveling to NYC for business or leisure travel.

"A-MAY-ZING place to stay...SO MUCH ROOM!"
htownmomof3, 17 Mars 2018

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! Location is excellent...I mean, it's around the corner from the Waldorf=Astoria! The staff is fantastic, accommodating and so helpful...(say hi to David for us)! We had a lot of questions as this was our first time in NYC and needed suggestions for things to do during the day as we had Broadway and hockey scheduled during the evening. They sale discount tix there for lots of "touristy" adventures! The suggestions they made were spot on! The free breakfast in the morning was wonderful and so above par of what you would think for a "free" breakfast! The street, though louder during the day due to the building construction next door, was quiet and neighborly in the evenings. Pizza place next door was fantastic as were the guys there (they delivered to the room at their suggestion. HOWEVER, they are closed on Sundays!) and there is the New York Luncheonette around the corner that was very good and reasonable albeit tight but normal for New York I suppose! The room apartment we had was the two bedroom king/queen combo. Very spacious and a great space to decompress when we needed to escape the hustle and bustle. The charm of the building is still intact and homey. The beds were extremely comfortable and the king room had his and hers closets. Small but functional kitchen was a nice plus. Great selection of TV channels. Always more than enough clean towels. If we ever return to NYC to do the things we didn't get done this time, we will definitely stay here again....

"Great for families"
tb0cchin0, 12 Mars 2018

We have a family of five and this place was great. The ovation was convenient, the breakfast was great and the room was perfect. I was able to have my twins stay in one room, my daughter on the sofa and my wife and I in the big bedroom. The TV had on demand programming which my kids enjoyed while we we resting in between our long trecks around NYC. The bagels were great at breakfast and the staff helped with any questions or concerns we had.

"I love this place"
dipjeanloyal, 08 Mars 2018

My husband and I stayed here 2-21-18 to 3-7-18. We also stayed here in 2017. I hate to tell you about it because I don't want it to get too popular. What a fantastic place in midtown NYC! A full three-room apartment to feel at home in, with breakfast included, all at a very reasonable price. The staff is terrific. I can't name all of them, but want to specifically mention the wonderful Tsering who keeps the breakfast buffet so beautifully, and Tom, building maintenance chief extraordinaire, who is so nice and hard-working. The entire staff is great, and so are the accommodations. Please don't come, so I'll be able to get in next time.

"Big Apartment in NYC"
Jeroen v, 06 Mars 2018

We stayed here for one week with our family. great location to stay, big rooms, fine beds, and a lot of living space in the middle of New York. Excellent Wifi and a good start of the day with a various breakfast. We will definitely come back here!!

"New York apartment "
beatrice390, 12 Février 2018

Stayed here for the first time for 3 nights. We found that this apartment is on the great location. 10-15 minutes by easy walking to Times Square and major theatre. For the apartment itself, the room is quite old and a bit dark but it's very clean and the bed is super comfy, even the sofa bed , my kids said that it's the most comfortable bed that they ever sleep. ?? The apartment had everything you could possibly need, a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave , big fridge and fully equipped utensils. They also provide a sponge and dish soap. Just for information, there is no washing machine and dryer in this apartment, so it's a bit problem for a long term traveller with kids. The free wifi is excellent. The receptionist need to learn what the meaning of hospitality is. Not very welcoming and a bit rude. I had a small problem when I check in, the receptionist insist that I haven't make a payment for my stay , even I showed him my payment receipt. After my long explanation, he still charged my credit card. Lucky me it was sort out quickly after I emailed the manager. Overall, it was a nice stay and I look forward to go back again to stay at this apartment.

"Annual shopping / friends trip "
NYCshoppinggal, 02 Février 2018

Why do we keep coming back ( 10+ years ) ? Location , staff, TWO bathrooms, breakfast downstairs to start your day , and a spacious suite style set of rooms where we can spread out and relax at the end of the day . I'm not a good one with names , my friend writes every one down and makes sure the Manager , Robert , know how helpful his staff is . They always remember us ! We feel it's ideally situated for the areas we visit - walk to Central Park , Grand Central , Bryant Park , Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral . Subway to Macy's , Soho , WTC and Freedom Tower . We had great Uber drivers this year when we went to the theater and out to dinner . Doubtful that we would ever hail a yellow cab ever again ! Getting back to the room - full size fridge in kitchen / stove with oven and a dishwasher . I imagine some families who have an extended stay can save money on meals by cooking in the room . Breakfast is fine - great way to not have to start your day hungry or looking for a place to eat . There is a table in most suites I believe, you can bring food back to the room and eat if you want . Hot water in the shower ??but occasionally heat is a bit too hot and we have to crack a window . Beds are comfortable, even the pull out sofa . So it's not an elegantly appointed or super modern hotel . But it checks all the boxes for our trip . Can't wait for 2018 ...

As a Best Western Loyalty member I look to stay at Best Western properties when I can. This one is outstanding (with a few problems I will mention). The building is a former apartment building - 9 floors plus penthouse with two units. Because of my Best Western standing I was offered a penthouse. The unit is a bit weary/run down and could be improved but it was quite spacious, including a large living area with a work are and kitchen, as well as a bed room and a bathroom. The bathroom had an upgraded shower but the rest of the area was a bit shabby. There were steps up to an outdoor terrace, but it was closed due to construction of a nearby building, plus it was winter anyway. However the terrace was pretty messy. The biggest problem was being awakened around 2:00 AM with a horrendous sound which I thought was coming from the pipes. (I was later told it was the elevator). This sound lasted about some 7-10 minutes and recurred continually throughout the night, giving me precious little sleep that night. When I mentioned this to the front desk in the morning I was relocated to a different room - a king suite which also had a large living room with a dining table plus a kitchen and a king room. This was actually a much nicer room. Again there was a problem - it being winter and the hotel has very old heating system using radiators and they only come on when the temperature falls below 50. In the bedroom the radiator valve was not properly working and emitted a terrible hiss so that I had to turn it off in order to sleep. The hotel maintenance staff came up the next day and replaced the valve and this solved the problem. The kitchen has a fully operating over, full size fridge, microwave, toaster, dishes, utensils, everything to prepare a meal (which I did not) or have food on hand to save on dining costs (which I did, including leftovers from previous day's meals). The staff was great, with particular kudos to Eddy Luna at the front desk who was really helpful with the above problems. Oh, I should mention that during the weekdays of my stay there was a terrible racket from the demonstration of union members protesting something with the construction site next door and they were sounding a bullhorn all morning long. Nothing the hotel could help with of course. Also breakfast was really great, fine selection of pastry offerings, hard boiled eggs, hot entries, etc and a really hard working attendant who kept coming by to offer you refills for your coffee. All in all a GREAT stay!

"Best Western fan - but this one only good for groups"
sandra f, 18 Janvier 2018

I did like it - the team is great - the manager readily accommodates - Dave and others at "front desk" are very kind. HOWEVER - it is best for groups of people and not solo or couples. Basically a room with a living room and old style kitchen. A bit stark, cold in the winter (old style radiators). Its not for romance or solo traveler who wants a "hotel room". A good location - easy access to everything. Decent breakfast. Fine for groups - seek elsewhere for couples and solo.

"Wonderful Hotel for Families "
beccafloyd, 16 Janvier 2018

We had a total of 14 people (ages 6 to 79) in three 2 bedroom suites, and this was perfect for us. We were able to spread out but also have room to gather and visit. The free breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very nice and accomodating. Also, I recommend both restaurants right outside the hotel (La Bellezza for pizza and Toscana 49 for fine Italian). It was cold while we were there but we loved returning to this hotel after a day of sightseeing, and I would recommend it to anyone.

"Great stay for families"
Stacy C, 12 Janvier 2018

This hotel is great for a family because there is a lot of space with a family room and kitchen. The location is perfect for tourist spots and subway locations. The room rate includes a very nice breakfast. Sam at the front desk was helpful finding a place to eat. The decor is a little old and there is construction going on next to our room so it was a little loud in the morning but it's a great place to stay.

"Great accommodation for families"
Ric M, 10 Janvier 2018

Our accommodation had plenty of space for our family. It had a full size kitchen and a huge living room. The bedroom was also separate. The building itself is quite old and we had no views at all. But that's not what we paid for. What we wanted was a place that was central enough while also offering the flexibility of being able to cook for our kids who are quite fussy eaters. Our accommodation also came with a complimentary breakfast. Most places offer only continental breakfast. This Best Western also served hot breakfast and the waffles were great. The server at the breakfast lounge was nice. The location is also good as it is only a short walk to the Rockefeller Center and even shorter walk to the subway.

"Great location and good service"
ypklee, 06 Janvier 2018

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a family trip. Even thought it doesn't include a free parking, there is a 7x24 parking 2 mins away and hotel guest will get a discount of $35 per day. We stayed at the penthouse unit, everything is clean and all the hotel staffs are willing to help. Since it is winter, the steam based heater generate a loud noise in the middle of the night that none of us got good sleep. After mentioned to the service person, he immediately brought two portable heaters and shutdown the main heater. The problem has been resolved nicely. Thank you for such a great service. The attendant who responsible for the breakfast area also did a great job by cleaning up the area and refill items. Front desk has answer all my questions patiently and provide advice on where to dine. The location is probably the best part as it is close to all attractions or subway. Will definitely come back for next stay.

"Best Western Plus Hospitality House"

Excellent place to stay when in NYC. We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. The staff and everyone we had contact with were helpful and made you feel welcome. Also the three words of location, location, location helped. Excellent location for us. Love that area of NYC!

"A Lot of Space"
Barry H, 20 Décembre 2017

This hotel offers a lot of space compared to other NYC hotels. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. The hotel is in need of an update. It is not inexpensive. It does have an excellent location. I would call this a boutique hotel as it is small. The lobby is very narrow and breakfast room has limited seating.

"Great Stay"
scottrothpsyd, 19 Décembre 2017

We loved our night at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and perfect for our family of four. My two small children shared the fold out couch and my wife and I slept well in the bedroom. The location of the hotel is perfect and they offer discount parking at a nearby lot. We will be back.

"Perfect location for family travelers"

Perfect location and perfect for a group travel. The property is within walking distance to all popular sites. The rooms are best suited for a family vacation. Considering that the property is in a prime location, the price is very fair!

"2nd time in NYC"
MiaKitten, 13 Décembre 2017

This was our second time in NYC but this time we wanted to stay near the city and this hotel very much served its purpose! The staff were nice and hotel room was spacious! Location was everything! The wifi was my only issue it was pretty slow I ended up using my 4G. We had a late flight but the Dave helped us by storing our luggage.Thank you Dave and Andriu for your outstanding customer service!

"Great location great hotel"

We did a girls weekend and this was the perfect place! Close to all major downtown attractions (very walkable), close to great food. The rooms were perfect! For the price you can't beat it! The staff was so friendly and accommodating as well.

"I am so glad I found this hotel!"
JWelfare, 10 Décembre 2017

For 3 adults the one bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable, we had a bedroom with a king size bed, a full living room with a pull out sofa and a full kitchen. It was really a shock to find something this roomy in the city! The free breakfast was great, different hot items every morning and a very attentive dining attendant. The desk staff was very helpful and very friendly. The area was close to everything we needed - restaurants, subway, shops and Time Square. I would definitely stay here again!

"Aussies holidaying in NYC"
32YL, 06 Décembre 2017

We are staying 6 nights in NYC close to Christmas. This Best Western is great value for money - 2 bedroom apartment (fully serviced), free breakfast (not just continental but includes limited hot breakfast too), fantastic central location in Midtown East, close to 5th Ave, Central Park, 10 min brisk walk to Times Square/Broadway, Rockefeller Centre and so much more. Fab restaurants and bars everywhere and a block from the subway. It's not ultra modern but it is clean and comfortable AND very spacious. We will return!

"A real surprise in NYC!!!!!"
sjk7301948, 30 Novembre 2017

We have visited NYC often and were very surprised and pleased when we found this hotel. We currently are big BW fans, and this stay just reinforced our view. The concept of turning an apt. building into suites is great: room to breathe, room to have meals on our own, and room to just relax esp. with a 5 night stay. The price is , I expect, reasonable for NYC. The location is great: really walkable to most mid town sites, and in a bit of a neighborhood esp. if one wanders to 2nd avenue.

"Good Alternative for Large Group"
eurotripper22, 28 Novembre 2017

I booked the BWHH for a recent family trip to NYC. Upon arrival I was a bit disappointed with condition of room - décor was very plain and just felt a little worn out. Bathroom was smaller than what I thought from pictures, but was in good condition. Lots of room - would be ideal for a family with small children. Construction noise was quite loud beginning at 6 AM as they are building a high rise condo development next door. Lots of street noise as well, but I guess you're in the city that never sleeps. Overall it was fine just not as nice as I had hoped for at this price point. Dana at the front desk was awesome.

"Loved this place ! "
User, 27 Novembre 2017

We absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed here at the beginning of our trip. We flew in really late at night (after 30 hours of travelling) to be greeted by a lovely gentleman at the check in counter. We were exhausted and had 2 tired kids in tow, he processed us really quickly and was able to recommend a nice Italian restaurant for us to eat at because we were starving. Our room was big (for NYC) and warm. We had plenty of space for us and the kids to relax. The kitchenette was super handy with a toddler. The location was perfect, only a 5 min walk to grand central station, 10 mins to Rockefeller and Times Square. The breakfast staff were lovely and despite how busy it got over the holiday period (thanksgiving) the food was always plentiful. They also offered a cheap laundry service which we definitely needed with so many people. I would recommend this property to anyone! We loved our stay here.

Perfect place to stay with family in New York . We had a two bedroom suite with kitchen and lounge room. Adequate breakfast that you can take to your suite if you choose. "Good Hotel , friendly staff but all spoilt with construction noise"
crystaljoan, 07 Novembre 2017

We stayed in this hotel in end of October .We found the whole apartment huge and very clean .Welcome pack was very helpful after long travelling.Wifi worked well .We found the beds and pillows the most comfortable we have ever slept on .Unfortunetly good night sleep was destroyed by near by construction starting as early at 4 am .One time we heard such a loud bang we thought is was some kind of explosion it scared life of us .The construction workers bang the metal .I tried to close the window fully but you can not as there is a cable from AC .Because breakfast area is so small we had to wait most of the days for free table but you could take the breakfast upstairs if you wanted .Reception staff always happy to help and give plenty od advise .As a overall it is very good located hotel .Shame about noise .

"Visit to the Big Apple"
NedKel2013, 28 Octobre 2017

Stayed with the family at Best Western Hospitality House 145 East 49th Street. Excellent Hotel, the Manager and staff were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The facilities were first class. There is no doubt everyone went the extra mile to make our stay more pleasant.

"Great value stay in NYC"
BrianaKC, 22 Octobre 2017

We stayed here for three nights in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was a good size, a little dark due to not much natural lighting. Main downside was only one bathroom, thought there'd at least be a second toilet but no. The room was clean, had everything you could need incl a full kitchen. Wifi cut in & out a bit. Breakfast was pretty good but it was always so crowded, the space definitely was not big enough for everyone - they need to somehow take reservations (as silly as it sounds), make sure people don't linger or have it open longer. Restaurants & supermarket in walking distance. Easy to get a cab but also not far to walk to the Rockefeller Centre, Times Square etc. All up, very good value, highly recommend.

"For bigger families up to 6 ppl & parking"
LalaPc2014, 22 Octobre 2017

We arrived early morn and parked at one of the garages on 49th street. The concierge had recommended the one right before 3rd street but I misunderstood and left it a block before, between 1st & 2nd on right hand side (there's another on left). They all charge $55 overnight, "valet" - you leave the key, for a sedan type. All good. We even returned to pick up some things at night. Hotel held our luggage during the day. But at 8:30pm no manager, only the porter. We had to wait a good while, not sure maybe 10-15minutes until he came down the elevator and finally checked us in. By then, after an entire day sightseeing, our little ones, everyone exhausted. Not good. Our suite on the 8th floor HUGE! FULL kitchen, 2 bedrooms, one king, one two twins and a pullout queen or full sofa in living room. 3 TVs, Also dining rm, One small bath. Price range, mid pricey for NY around five h. But excellent location, safe, close to metro and even central station and touristy times sq. Will stay here again definitely. The freebies: waters and snacks, very appreciated. Comfy beds. Seems renovated. But not recently. Clean. Quiet. Blackout blinds. Enough said.

"The Location and the size make this a great choice for families and larger groups."
Katia K, 22 Octobre 2017

We travelled to NYC as a family of 4 adults and we needed a hotel with a kitchen and enough sleeping areas for 4 adults who prefer separate beds. Our room had a pull out couch, a king bed in its own bedroom and a room with two single beds. The beds were comfortable. We had a kitchen with all necessaries and one bathroom. There were few windows but enough to bring in light (I enjoy walking through NYC, I don't really need to look out the windows). The window air-conditioners were fairly loud so bring something to block out the sound if you are a light sleeper. It did not bother us. The TV's had a full list of channels. They included a free breakfast which was a great addition. The staff was helpful. I loved the location. EVERYTHING was within walking distance. It is the biggest set of rooms I have ever stayed in Manhattan and I will definitely stay here again. I loved being able to spread out in the room and cook my own meals. I wish they had valet parking. But, the parking lot is close by. The closest grocery store is a 5 minute walk, so is a decent pizza place.

"Huge room by Manhattan standards. Excellent value and location."
pingvuiini, 17 Octobre 2017

My friend and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Hospitality House for one night on October 12, 2017. My friend made the booking and he lamented how expensive it was for a room in NYC, even for a Best Western. Having previously stayed at the Hampton Inn Chelsea and twice at the Dream Hotel (now Dream Midtown) we were very much aware how small the hotel rooms in NYC are. We arrived at JFK and took the usual Airtrain/E Subway into town to the Lexington & 53rd Street Station. The hotel is about a quarter mile southwest of the subway station down Lexington and then in the middle of the block southeast on 49th Street. Check-in was quick and efficient and we were quickly on our way up the elevator to our room. For security you need to insert your key card into a slot before pushing the floor button. Upon entering the room we were totally blown away. Holy cow! It was a large suite with a medium sized living room/dining room with sofa, chair and dining table. Also a kitchen, two bedrooms, small bathroom with tub and several closets. The bedrooms and living room each had a wallbanger AC unit and flatscreen TVs. A complimentary snack basket in the kitchen included bottled water, cookies and crackers. Nice! The finish details in the room were a little on the old and rough side, with crudely painted baseboards and door jamb casings and older appliances in the kitchen. But the roominess of it all outweighed such minor trivialities. Our previous lamentations that we were paying too much immediately vaporized and we bemoaned that we weren't staying longer. Location of the Hospitality House is great and the energy of NYC beckons. The Waldorf Astoria (closed for extensive renovation) is the next block on 49th. Other interesting sites within a mile walk northwest are Saks Fifth Avenue, Fifth Avenue shopping in general, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall and Times Square. A tiny bit more walking distance northeast on Fifth Avenue will take you to Central Park. Of course, the delightful plethora of restaurants and other dining options festoon the streets of NYC. Since we were only staying one night we really didn't use the kitchen at all. We had just returned from two weeks in London and Paris and neither place had a tub and I don't have one at home, so I definitely took the opportunity to have a bath. There is no gym, but the hotel has a day pass deal with the local YMCA for guests which we didn't use due to time constraints. The one thing that prevented a good solid sleep for me was the constant din of the city. All sorts of things are happening in NYC at all hours of the day and you definitely hear it unless you are more than 20 stories above it all. We were on the 5th floor and the wallbanger AC units prevented the windows from being completely shut and sealed, thus letting in substantial amounts of noise. I was awakened a few times during the night from police sirens, beeping from trucks backing up and just the general cacophony of the city (although jet lag may have played a part in my restlessness). Breakfast buffet was included and the buffet included the usual items that we've seen at other Best Western properties in the U.S. but slightly more abbreviated due to constrained space. They have the usual waffle making machine, tiny egg omelets, sausages, OJ, coffee, cereals bread items, yogurt and fruits. BUT NO BACON!!!! >:^( Over the past several years I have been more and more impressed with Best Western properties the world over and the Hospitality House only augments this standpoint. My friend initially checked rates for the Dream Midtown since we've stayed there before but he balked at $400+ per night, so I suspect that the Best Western room was in the low to mid $300 range. Still a bit high we thought. But after seeing the room we both felt that such value in terms of space, amenities and location is unheard of in Manhattan, rough edges notwithstanding. This would be an excellent option for families. When I return to NYC I will most probably indulge and book the same room again if the price is right. And I will be sure to bring a very good set of ear plugs.

"Very comfortable department for a family with children"
Andrea P, 11 Octobre 2017

Family with two children (or three) could enjoy this perfect department quite well equiped. Its location is very good, enough quiet and not so far of the main attractions. A good breakfast is included also so you are ready to visit NY earlier in the morning. A Gray Line stop is in the corner. Andrea from Uruguay.

"Good size apartments"
PEPPERPOTS99, 06 Octobre 2017

This doesn't feel like a hotel it is like having your own apartment - heaps of room to spread out for suitcases and shopping. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with a king in one room and 2 twins in the other - beds were really comfortable and I'm a tough critic. There is only 1 bathroom but it was a decent size and had storage places for all the bits and pieces. The apartment had so much storage so unusual - we could unpack and truly move in! Housekeeping was consistently good! The lift was not so slow - I had read reviews and was nervous given we were on the 8th floor. Staff were pleasant but we didn't have much contact but were lovely when we asked questions. Location is walking distance to lots of train stations, Times Square, Central Park, top of the rock - we did loads of walking and felt totally safe. Most nights noise levels were fine - for New York we had pretty good sleep quality. The kids enjoyed the waffle maker - if you are looking for an apartment style with heaps of space in a central location then look no further!

"3 Old Girls"
Patricia S, 06 Octobre 2017

A perfect place to stay - all suite - beautiful - the staff is AMAZING! Close to everything, cross town bus route (straight to the Ferry) and everything in between. Great full breakfast complete with the NY TImes, USA Today, good food, excellent coffee - the only place I stay in NYC!

"Spacious by NYC standards!"
Laura M, 05 Octobre 2017

Great location and friendly staff. Size of room was very spacious (but we had a handicapped room by chance, so perhaps that was the reason). Only disadvantage was window looked at concrete wall and jackhammering outside our window starting at 8am. Would definitely stay again!

"Really nice hotel in New York City"
arthurr59, 22 Septembre 2017

I stayed at this hotel because of previous experiences with Best Western. Was not disappointed. Very clean and with new furnishings, The hotel has all suites and they are big. Great location in Mid Town Manhattan, closer to Park Avenue than Broadway which makes it a bit quieter.

"Great Hotel"
Karen T, 22 Septembre 2017

We booked this as two couples staying in New York for 5 nights. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Room service was very good and attended daily. Great location. Breakfast was provided, only draw back was plastic plates and utensils, other than that a good selection. Free tea and coffee throughout the day and night. Staff on the front desk are very helpful, thanks for a great stay

"Would recommend"
456elisabethd, 21 Septembre 2017

Extremely helpful staff, very clean everywhere, surprisingly good self service breakfast, especially making your own waffles! Spacious two bedroom apartment, well equipped kitchen. Good location, easy walk to Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller, Times Square, Grand Central and two minutes to subway. Would recommend.

"A great find in NYC"
Karina H, 20 Septembre 2017

Location is unbeatable, apartment is roomy and fully equipped, staff was always helpful and breakfast a great plus. We are certainly planning on staying here in future visits. We've found our 2nd home in this place!

"Holiday"
paulineh770, 14 Septembre 2017

We have just returned to U.K. From a amazing time in New York, this Hotel was lovely, the apartment was large, beds so comfortable and everything was clean, and was cleaned by the wonderful staff everyday, complimentary breakfast included every day which could be taken back to room, nothing was to much trouble, the staff put up with all our questions and never lost patience with us. The only downside was quite noisy at night but hey this is New York, this did not detract from a amazing experience we had a lot of fun, Robert the manager came down to breakfast every day to chat with quests and make sure everything was ok, he was a mine of interesting information, would certainly recommend this Hotel and all staff

"Fantastic"
RMJMA, 07 Septembre 2017

Have stayed here twice with friends while visiting New York. Staff very helpful rooms are spacious and comfortable, rooms are very clean. Breakfast is very good. Location is excellent just a short 5min walk to 5th avenue

"Huge room, perfect location and wonderful staff...a true New York gem..."
905suzannep, 06 Septembre 2017

The best New York surprise...this property is just perfect for exploring this utterly amazing city...ask for Sam...a wealth of knowledge and kind...we LOVE this city and you will really appreciate this hotel...huge rooms, great Italian restaurant next door...highly, highly recommend...!!!

"Conveniently Located"
cremoinfo, 05 Septembre 2017

Well located in mid Manhattan and convenient walking distance to many of the fame sights. Many good eating places nearby as well. The rooms are large and airy and have a reasonable kitchen for you to prepare simple meals should you wish. Some aspects are a little limited e.g. The size of the breakfast room.

"Wonderful stay that helped make New York extra special"
highamfamily2017, 02 Septembre 2017

We were a party of six people with ages ranging from 82 to 10. Great suite, easy walk from time square. Immaculate rooms with great complimentary breakfast. Staff couldn't do more to help. Would happily stay here again, everyone was realky happy

"Stay here"
Robb D, 01 Septembre 2017

This isn't the most glamorous hotel in New York, but for the price, the staff and the room accommodations more then make up for it. If you're on a budget and want to stay close to the center of town, I recommend this place.

"A family haven in the Centre of Manhattan"
sammyt393, 30 Août 2017

The hotel staff is welcoming but the room sizes are the real surprise. The rooms are extraordinarily large and come with a separate lounge and kitchen. It felt like we were in our own house. The location is perfect, with plenty of parking nearby.

"Last minute - one night stay"
Sherri F, 29 Août 2017

Our first time staying in NYC, and booked last minute. Stayed just 1 night, but would have been very comfortable for multiple nights for my husband, myself, and 3 teenagers. The whole unit (5B) was better than expected; 2 bedrooms were very roomy, nice sized bathroom, spacious dinette/living, and cute kitchenette w/ full-size fridge, stove, dishwasher. The suite was older, but appeared clean. The only down-side was quite a bit of noise from street. During the middle of the night there has a very heated arguement between what appeared to be employees from the Marriot which has service entrance directly across the street.

"need improvement"
jamala527, 16 Août 2017

diffecult to sleep because of the outside building construction and street noise. Can be improved by fixing new windows with sound isolation. This is the main issue with this property. The location is good. there is special rate for parking your car in nearby garage.

"Conveniently located"
JulianMeg, 10 Août 2017

6 nights on the only ground floor room near the elevator and staff rooms. A bit of noise through the walls and under the door because if its location but that was tolerable. What wasn't pleasant was the constant noise in the lobby. Visitors would constantly gather nearby/outside our room at all hours. This took the shine off what was a pleasant stay. A courtesy sign would have alleviated this issue. Rooms were spacious and the bathroom huge. Both were very clean. Construction noise next door didn't bother us as it was only slight, but finished before we returned from our days out. The staff were great especially "fast" eddy who looked after us following a long trip to NYC. The ladies in the breakfast room were extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. Excellent location just down from the rock so only about a 10 min walk to TSq. Would stay there again.

"Great Hotel! Great Location!!"
G1750AFadamb, 04 Août 2017

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and the hotel was kind enough to leave a bottle of wine and a congratulatory note for us upon arrival! This was such a nice and special surprise! My husband ended up getting a stomach virus 18 hours in to our NY trip and spent the rest of the time in bed so LOTS of time was spent in the room... I slept on the sofa bed (not wanting to catch his bug!!) and it was quite comfortable as well!! Great location, too! The gentleman at the front desk also extended our check out time to 12:30 to allow my husband time to get motivated and for me to pack everything up!! It was so helpful and I cant thank him enough! Get a bagel from ess-a-bagel around the corner!! Its the best!

"Very roomy and comfortable"
Lisa D, 28 Juillet 2017

We were a group of two adults, two teenagers and one child. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite - what a great room. We were happy to have our room on the second floor as we didn't have to use the elevator frequently - very quick trips in and out and to breakfast. The breakfast was very adequate - on days that we arrived before 730 am there were lots of free tables. The one day we ate a bit later we just brought a tray to our room. Great location a block from the Waldorf and a few blocks from Rockefeller Centre. It is also less than one block from the hop on hop off bus stop. Although our room faced the busy street, the air conditioner blocked out the traffic noise with the exception of garbage collection one morning (6am!) when the loud truck sound continued for quite a while and woke everyone even the heavy sleepers. Other than that very quiet and we never heard any sounds from neighbouring suites. The one down side with a two bedroom is that there is only one bathroom.

"Comfort in the heart of NYC"
KittyGrandma15, 26 Juillet 2017

We had a suite with a bedroom and a pull-out couch in the other room. Large rooms, bed was very comfortable, and there was a full kitchen--even a dishwasher. Not far from Times Square. It was a great "base" for us. There is even a swimming pool offsite.

"WORST PLACE EVER DONT GO !!!!!awfulll"
Geo S, 25 Juillet 2017

Where to begin with this ..... to begin with I book a 2 room penthouse suite for July 29 to the 30th for a little get together with some friends and family. I booked the room on May 2 2017 well over a month. My cousin reserved a different penthouse suite for the same days as she was having people with her as well our original goal was to all meet up go out to dinner and then go out to enjoy the scenery. So a couple of days after I made my reservation I called to make sure everything was set I talked to the manger and he question me if I knew he said my cousins full name name gave me her phone number. I was surprise of the question and didn't think anything of it I said yes that's my cousin. He then processed to ask me what our intent was going to the hotel I briefly explained our plan for the night. He kept telling me they don't allow parties and i kept reassuring him there won't be any parties at the hotel that wasn't our plan or goals. He kept reminding everyone about it after I repeatedly told them not to worry that we're all adults not children. He then proceeded to tell me if there is a party we would get kicked out without refund I agreed because I knew no party was in mind. Long story short I get an email today saying our reservation was canceled. I immediately call and spoke to the same manger I spoke to a couple of months back and he told me he cancel it because he didn't feel comfortable with having us st the hotel because he still felt like we were going to throw a party. REALLY!!!!! 4 days before our check in date then cancel it that is so wrong. My cousin got the same email stating that they canceled our reservation she then called and got the same reply . I then called cooperate mangers and he said well if they feel a danger to the hotel they have a right to cancel reservation WHAT DANGER !!!!!! So now I'm basically out of a place to stay after months of planning these people are rude and unbelievable don't go there ever !!!!! Good thing I rsvp with hotel.com and they made it right by finding us another hotel around the area but now me and my group won't be in the same hotel because 4 days before it's impossible to find I'm beyond pissed and annoyed

"Amazing!!!"
Rebekah H, 23 Juillet 2017

The staff were so kind and helpful. Rooms were beautiful, clean and made you feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious lots to choose from. Close walking distance to everything. I would most definitely want to stay here again .

"Fits 6"
Michael A, 12 Juillet 2017

Excellent service, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Suite fit 6 easily with an excellent kitchen and plenty of room. Perfectly situated for walking to all the main tourist destinations yet quite enough to sleep. It was the perfect place for our family of 5 to stay.

"Family Trip to NYC"
D9456NLbrianc, 07 Juillet 2017

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Hospitality House for 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend with our two kids. The room is more like a one-bedroom apartment than a hotel room, and was great for sleeping since we weren't all in the same room. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The kids slept on the pull-out couch and didn't complain. There was a full kitchen and plenty of space in the fridge for keeping drinks and lunch items. There were two TVs so the kids could watch what they wanted and the adults something else. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a typical hotel breakfast - a nice option to grab something before heading out. The location is great - accessible to a subway station about a block or two away. As long as you aren't looking for a large, luxurious lobby, this hotel is a great option.

"Excellent base for families"
Coila M, 22 Juin 2017

We are a family of four who stayed here from the 4th till the 11th of June 2017. Travelling with two teenagers it was really important to have enough space for everyone and this hotel did not disappoint. This is more than a hotel. We had a very large two bedroom apartment with the added bonus of hotel staff and breakfast buffet in the morning to set you up for the day. The buffet is more suited to our teenagers taste buds, waffles, danish pastries etc. The hot stuff was boring and a bit bland but it kept us going till lunchtime. The staff are attentive and the hotel manager was happy to leave the comfort of his own home one evening to help us gain access to our apartment after our teenagers locked us out! The hotel is well placed for all Manhattan has to offer and I highly recommend it for families. It was lovely to go back to for a rest from pounding the NY streets before venturing out again in the evening We didn't use the kitchen but the fridge was appreciated for keeping our drinks cold.

"Alright"
lylauren, 15 Juin 2017

This hotel doesn't have a wide breakfast variety and a small space to eat it. The lobby is very small, and when I went the elevator didn't seem to be working correctly. However, the rooms are very spacious and nice. There isn't a great view of the city. The bathroom made a rattling noise a lot.

"Great place "
Jim S, 11 Juin 2017

Stayed here five nights for our first trip to New York City. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Great location for seeing all the major sites in the city. The staff was very nice and helped us out with all of our questions. Tom went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Will stay here again on our next trip to the big apple

"BW+ Hospitality House NYC"
866charleso, 11 Juin 2017

I make 2-4 trips annually to NYC for business. I like the location and the apartment type of rooms with full kitchen and separate sleeping bedroom(s). GM Robert Gaeta and his Staff are excellent host while in NYC...always greeted by my name and ready to assist in any manner they can.

"BEST WESTERN MIDTOWN"
H5975JScarolem, 10 Juin 2017

Rooms are HUGE and clean. Crazy convenient in midtown east side. Helpful and accommodating staff. Would stay again. Husband had surgery in City and staff was sensitive to our needs (early check in, carried luggage without asking). Nice hotel.

"The staff and location are amazing"
Tammeka H, 05 Juin 2017

This location is amazing and the staff is very friendly, accommodating and super nice . I had some personal difficulties when booking and the GM Robert was supper helpful and very nice. The rooms are very comfortable. The location is awesome. Very central to everything. I will definitely be staying her again

"Revisit"
mcg26, 31 Mai 2017

Went to NY 2 years ago and happy to stay in these apartments again. Great location for a city break. Friendly & helpful staff. Good facilities and alot of choice for breakfast. Room with its own lounge & kitchen with a very comfortable bed so able to have a much needed good nights sleep! The only negative is that the room could do with a much needed makeover & redecoration.

"Not up to par for Best Western"
2bears93442, 16 Mai 2017

We are 2 couples, long-time friends and travelers, familiar with smaller hotels in NYC. While this one's location is very good--easy walking to Grand Central, UN--and the room sizes adequate, we would not stay here again due to: sloppy upkeep & maintenance, infrequent and poor maid service, crowded& small breakfast area. Plus the 2nd bed/bath in our 2 bed/2bath PH suite was unacceptable because the bedroom was quite small and lacking a closet or other storage for clothes and the bath was not connected. It was off the dining/living area--so be certain to bring a robe for those middle of the night trips.

"New York Vacatiion"
angelod994, 14 Mai 2017

Great staff, very friendly and always willing to help. Nice clean rooms, well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast food was good and offered a nice variety. Will definitely stay here next time in New York

"Bachelorette party "
Susan K, 08 Mai 2017

Booked a beautiful, spacious two bedroom apartment style suite for our bachelorette party of five. Perfect location, close to everything. Very reasonably priced, actually pretty cheap for the city. One bedroom had a king bed, the other had two twins. Living room had a pull out couch. Bathroom was nicely tiled and offered a plethora of little shampoos, conditioners, soaps, shoe shine packets, sewing kit etc. Kitchen was a nice addition. Pleasantly surprised to find a welcome basket waiting for us with waters and snacks. Coffee and flavored creamers were also available along with dishes and everything you need to enjoy a few meals indoors. Also had a very nice dining room! Lots of attention to detail you don't often see in a typical hotel like finding all the remotes in sanitary pouches. Refinished old wood floors throughout with area rugs gave it a nice, home feel. A very tasty complimentary breakfast spread was also included. Alana took care of all your breakfast needs, from fresh waffles, huge gourmet muffins to omelets, sausage, coffee and juices. Everyone at the front desk was very accommodating and always went out of their way to offer their services. They stored our luggage in the morning so we could start our day before check in and were happy to see us celebrating adorned in our silly Tutu's at night. Loved our stay at this location. Will definitely stay again.

"Great experience and comfort"
Flora G, 06 Mai 2017

Home away from home. A bit noise due to building works next door but it did not bother me at all. Area was very safe and three woman and a child felt very safe walking around. Very close to central station, BBC and all main attractions

"spacious but noisy"
Cathy D, 04 Mai 2017

Our stay there was good because the room was much bigger than I thought. it was clean and there was a lot of space to put our clothes and accessories away. The bedroom was not noisy but the living room where our teens slept was! Indeed the window with the air conditioning was far from being draft proof and even with pillows to try to shut ourselves away was useless. Breakfast was good but crowded after 7.15, some customers had to take trays and have breakfast in their room.

"Great Location, fabulous staff, nice suite."
Bershires, 02 Mai 2017

Once upon a time, this was a lovely little apartment building and now it's a very nice small hotel, which almost, almost makes you feel like you're a New Yorker. The breakfast was really well done and the staff that works that shift really, really work hard. The young man working the dining room was a marvel and so helpful. A great location and a great staff.

"Great location and great service!"
monap437, 26 Avril 2017

This is my second stay at this hotel. Spacious rooms, great staff, location is excellent. Within walking distance to subway stations, B roadway, Times Square, etc. Super close to Rockefeller Center. Will stay here again!

"Amazing room and staff"
H8034RAamandap, 21 Avril 2017

Stay was beyond what we expected. Friendly staff, and amazing room. Breakfast served has huge variety and staff was very quick to fulfil requests. We were all very happy with our experience especially my 2yo son who loved the spacious room

"HUGE place! "
Xscooter73, 11 Avril 2017

We booked last minute and found this wonderful gem of a place! The hotel room is more of an apt and there was so much room. A full kitchen, a small dining room area, living room, nice size bedroom and a full size bathroom are all included. My husband and I slept in the bedroom while our 2 sons slept on the pullout couch. Both areas had their own TV's so the kids could relax and watch their own shows while we adults did the same in the bedroom after a long day.

"Second visit"
G4422, 08 Avril 2017

Booked the penthouse suite for 5 nights as previously stayed in the queen suite. The penthouse comes with a balcony which has a lovely view of a construction site. The penthouse interior appears smaller than the queen suite so, unless necessary, don't pay extra for the penthouse as it's not worth it. Check in was 3pm but cleaning hadnt even started when we arrived at 3.50pm. Had to come back one hour later which wasn't very pleasing after travelling for 13 hours. A mix up meant the balcony could not be used for one day. It was suggested we should not be too concerned as we had received a free upgrade to the penthouse. This was not true as was pointed out to the staff. We received a small reduction and some wine and chocs which was nice Would we go back again?.... probably due to its location, the facilities in the room and the good breakfast choice.

"Business Trip"
yangki2017, 31 Mars 2017

Excellent service and very honest room services. I never lost anything because I always carry many expensive jewelry and other staffs. I met a young black man at Break Fast area he is excellent in service and very caring for customer.

"Brilliant Apartment!!! Very welcoming staff"
Sarah T, 26 Novembre 2016

Stayed at the best western this week 20th till 23rd November & picked this hotel based on the apartment & extra bedroom ( 2 bedroom apartment ) 1st time in New York & was shocked at how big the apartment was! Staff were very welcoming & very helpful. Apartment was very clean & after a long flight the kids were thankful of the welcome basket supplied.Free fast wi-fi was a massive plus! Breakfast was perfect, self service to pastries, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, make your own waffles, omelette, sausages etc Tea, coffee & juices. Free Tea & Coffee all day. Check out was at 11.30am & pick up was at 2.10pm but case's were securely locked away so we could spend our last few hours shopping. Found everything in walking distance of the hotel $22 in a cab to battery park ( for statue of liberty ) then after there we went by cab $6 to the 9/11 memorial then from there $26 back to the hotel that was for 4 of us so not as pricey as we thought. Pizza place next to hotel was great too, fab price. Could not fault the hotel, we had the best break ever! Can't wait to go back!

"Excellent spacious landing pad for central NY"
craigcN8730JO, 19 Novembre 2016

Excellent spacious landing pad for central NY activities. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and recommend this hotel for small groups. Excellent value for money with great staff, feels more like an apt than a hotel.

"Incredible GEM"
Fumbleayah, 17 Novembre 2016

Amazing rooms and fantastic location. Each and every staff member are incredibly courteous and this hotel is special. Rooms are HUGE for New York City and classic with hard wood floors and looks and feels like the bed is brand new

"Comfortable"
Kirsty H, 15 Novembre 2016

Me and my family where so impressed with this hotel, the room was lovely, clean, comfortable and had so much space. I had two young children with me age 5 and 3 so having the kitchen really helped and it had everything I needed which was a great help and relief. Not only was the hotel great but the staff where amazing too so friendly and helpful they made our stay that much more enjoyable. Thank you so much for making our experience even better we will certainly be back.

"stolen watch"
djaq, 14 Novembre 2016

It could have been a pleasant stay but someone stole my wife's watch...Also we could not open the bedroom window because it was broken. However, the apartment was comfortable with a functional kitchen, close to the center.

"Excellent low cost alternative to a hotel"
ReviewChamp, 14 Novembre 2016

Although the apartment rooms are getting a little dated, they are excellent value for money. Situated in a good location in the centre of the city, the famous attractions are only a short walk or subway journey away. Good selection of breakfast, which is buffet style.. so fill your boots! Staff are extremely friendly and courteous, only too happy to help. Downsides were the construction work which starts very early next door can get a little loud and the heating seems to only have 2 settings.. off or extremely hot!

"Love this place !"
BlairStCloud, 10 Novembre 2016

Second stay in this hotel in NYC and I still love it. Perfect location, massive apartment (for NYC space is just awesome), super breakfast and the staff is so kind and still available. My husband, my daughter and I love this location and will come back to this hotel as it is a perfect match for visiting Manhattan.

"Our staff at the best western"
marymS2345OL, 08 Novembre 2016

This hotel was a very pleasant experience for me and my family. The rooms are spacious and clean and the location is excellent. My teenage son was delighted with the Free Wifi in the room which was very efficient. The breakfast is good with lovely coffee and the New York Times to browse through. I would definitely stay here again.

"Fantastic trip"
Jamie B, 23 Octobre 2016

We are a family of 5 and wanted somewhere Central in Manhattan. This venue didn't disappoint! Not far from the subway but very walkable to all the major midtown attractions. Yes there is an active building site next door but all suites for families are on the opposite the building side and if like us anyone would be out of the hotel whilst work is being done. The breakfast will set you up for the day and all staff are very accommodating. Will definitely stay here again when next visiting this amazing city.

"What a pleasant surprise!"
Mary C, 21 Octobre 2016

I stayed in this hotel from October 17 to October 20. I was expecting a cramped NYC hotel but we had a 2BR suite that was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was construction going on around the building, so there was some noise during the day, but overall, the room was great. The employees at the hotel really made our stay better. Dave at the front desk, Anthony in the back at the breakfast buffet, and Tom the maintenance man were all outstanding - very friendly and helpful staff. The location of the hotel was perfect, in easy walking distance to the subway. We bought a pass for the big red bus and there was a pickup was a block away at the Waldorf Astoria. We were able to walk to 5th Ave, St Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, etc. Overall - great stay.

Richard G, 20 Octobre 2016

Do not stay at this hotel. We were charged for not arriving even though we cancelled our booking well in advance both in writing and telephonically. We tried repeatedly to contact the hotel manager, Eddy R. Luna, to get a refund but he simply refused to answer any emails. Stay here at your own risk!

"Another Awesome Stay at the Hospitality House"
John J, 12 Octobre 2016

My wife and I have stayed at the BW Hospitality House on 4 previous occasions. We are from British Columbia, Canada. This time, we brought our best friends along as we were visiting New York for a week holiday together. The rooms were great. Very large apartment style rooms with full kitchen, living room and separate bedroom with a king bed, (in our rooms). The hotel is so convenient being about a 10 minute walk to Time Square and just a few hundred yards from the Metro station that connects to the whole city. We met our friends for breakfast every morning and were greeted by Anthony, the breakfast attendant. He was so nice. always helpful. Had a great smile and very positive. He was making sure all guests were well looked after. He took a selfie of all of us! Very nice fellow who gave the breakfast room a wonderful welcoming feeling. All other staff we encountered were great as well. The housekeepers were great. We have seen Sam the evening desk fellow many times. He is a wealth of touristy information. The manager Robert always around to interact with his guests. We will always stay at the Best Western Hospitality House when visiting our favourite city, New York as it is our home away from home. Thanks again everyone for another memorable New York holiday.

"recent stay in NY"
Elizabeth C, 10 Octobre 2016

Our apartment was very good value , ideal for 4 friends, lovely beds, kitchen could have been better appointed, but wine glasses and plates came quickly after requested. Was a bit concerned about shower fitting. All staff very friendly, helpful and cheerful.

""Standard" room ??"
John V, 09 Octobre 2016

I live in New York, but often get a room to spend a night in the city for dinner and drinks. Nobody wants to drink and drive. So I call Best Wetsern Plus on East 49th and Lexington, and they have one room left. They said it's a "standard" room with a queen bed. Sounds good for just one night, right.....WRONG! As I'm checking in I ask for a room on a higher floor (as far away from city street noise as possible), and the response from the desk clerk was "it's on this floor, and it's the only "Standard" room we have. The room was off the side of the lobby, behind the elevator bank. The room itself wasn't half bad, except that it felt like it was I. A basement since the window got no real natural light What was so bad about the room was it felt like the maids room, noise from the lobby all night and the breakfast room that sounded like a college mess hall! To make it worse they said the room was non refundable once booked. I'm sure they get a lot of people walking out once they see it. Since I didn't want this to ruin all our plans, I lived with it for the night. I feel I was mislead by Best Western. Fool me once, never fool me again. I will never stay at another Best Western again.

"Nice little bolt hole"
Alan J, 08 Octobre 2016

We had two separate stays here last month on our way in and out of the USA and a trip to Nashville. Its location is ideal, with a bus stop right outside and an excellent pizzeria next door. Next to that is a superb restaurant. All you need in the way of shops, bars and restaurants is only a couple of blocks away and many of the sights are within walking distance. The place has been around for a while but is clean and our two-bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. We were advised of the construction noise beforehand and, whilst annoying, it did not disturb us too much. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, friendly and efficient. The breakfasts were a real bonus and, again, the staff were excellent, especially Anthony who was always pleasant and willing to help. A really great place to stay.

"great service and great location"
299shannonm, 06 Octobre 2016

this is a great hotel-clean, convenient, and the staff are amazingly welcoming and helpful. it has the charm of an older hotel with all the convenience of a new one. Can't beat the location for easy access to downtown.

"Great place.. construction killed it"
Kez C, 05 Octobre 2016

The hotel is in a great location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is good and Anthony makes it excellent. Having that saves time in looking around. The construction is such a disappointment. It's not the hotels fault. But 7am till 7pm construction is rubbish. We had a one bedroom that was facing the site. Our bathroom window opened completely. I could have handed them coffee. They worked through the night, cranes and supplies being dropped off. So please don't expect that 7 till 7 is fine . in 14 nights I had two nights sleep. This construction is happening for another 2 years. Although we were told its 7 till 7 at the time of me reading this on Trip Advisor and think it would be ok., is not. Leaving windows open for fresh air was difficult because of the noise and with no screens it meant mossies. it's an old building so air conditioning is in the windows and noisy. Construction is constant in New York. But there was no mention of this on the Web site when I booked 12 months ago. Staff are lovely, but not very good at giving tourist advice. It's our second trip so we were fine. Id stay again, after construction.

"Lovely 7 night stay"
Graeme017, 26 Septembre 2016

Our family enjoyed our 7 night stay here. Pleanty of room in the apartment which was appreciated.Yes it may appear older but very clean and almost new bathroom was wonderful. Robert was terrific in the lead up to deal with and even helped arrange a driver pick up at JFK(Victor) which went perfectly. We also made Grand Central station our start to all destinations through out the week. Hotel complimentary breakfast is nice and taking it back to the room is the secret,as mentioned previously its a little hard to get a table at times.Bed was super comfy as well. As for the construction, lets be honest you didn't come to the Big Apple to stay in your room,so it won't bother you at all. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

"I was so pleasantly surprised!"
pugmeister2011, 24 Septembre 2016

I didn't know what to expect, but was lured to this hotel by a great deal on HotelTonight. I stayed in a beautiful, renovated apartment. It was meticulously clean and was furnished with a modern touch. Beautiful hardwood floors and area rugs! The staff was warm and welcoming. Lovely and safe neighborhood with restaurants, a market in the area, and a yoga studio about ten blocks away. This place is a great way to stay in NYC if you are traveling with a family or a group. Yes, the apartments are "older" as some people note, but that is a non-issue since they are so well-kept. Nice "free hotel" style breakfast with hot and cold options. There is one downside: the hotel is directly next door to a construction zone. This is obviously not the hotel's fault. But it gets noisy quite early. It's not a problem if you're visiting for business and don't plan to be there during the day. But if you're a family and have a baby that wants to sleep during the day, you may have a problem. I was fine at night. I ran the air conditioner. There are two layers of Windows, which helped too. I slept like a rock. I'm an early riser and would definitely stay here again.

"Hotel with the works !!"
gaggs, 22 Septembre 2016

Stayed for 14 nights in September 2016. First the good points, and there are a lot of them. Close location (5 mins walk to Grand Central, 10-15 to Times Square), plenty of good restaurants within 200 metres, well stocked 24 hour supermarket just around the corner, large rooms and fully appointed kitchen, efficient daily housekeeping, decent bathroom with (small) bath and accessories, friendly staff, excellent buffet breakfast with great pastries (the room is pretty tight but you can take your breakfast back to your room), high speed Wi-Fi available on all devices. The big downside is that the hotel is next to a construction zone. This obviously isn't anything that the hotel can do about. It is not a garage they are building either, it is a 50-60 storey building so it is going to take at least 2 years to build. The works start pretty much dead on 7am or 7.30am Monday-Saturday and the noise is constant and very noticeable until around 5-6pm. The bedrooms facing 50th Street will just about be able to shake hands with the construction workers as it goes up. If you are planning full days ie out at 7am ish back around 6ish it won't mean a thing, but if you like to lie in, like to come home about 4 for some R and R and a quiet wine before dinner, or if you need to stay in your room for the day (ie sick) then it might really aggravate you and make for an unpleasant stay. Our verdict - really liked the hotel and the apartment, but we'd probably wait until the construction is complete before having another extended stay. Then we'd love to come back

"An amazing hotel"
sharonltaylor, 22 Septembre 2016

Stayed for four nights with my husband. What a fabulous hotel we walked into our room to be amazed by what we found it was huge not a room but a suite with everything needed for a break. Hotel in an ideal location five minutes walking distance of Rockerfella Centre and fifteen minutes to Times Square. The hop on hop off bus service passes the hotel with plenty of restaurants nearby. Would stay here again. Just a bit of a warning DO NOT use the yellow taxis for your airport shuttle pre book with the hotel. The yellow taxis have no idea where they are going they got us lost taking us to the hotel. We hope to put on a hotel video soon

353brays, 18 Septembre 2016

just come back from a wonderful 5 days in New York i went with my husband and adult son, stopped at the best western plus with the most charming Robert (manager) Dana David Anthony and i think it was Audrey the lady that helped in the cafe, all of the staff made you feel so welcome and part of the family, nothing is too much trouble for any of them, the apartment is large and clean plenty of towels large TV massive fridge and ice box everything you need for a break in New York better than a hotel as you have a lounge area to chill out. this is perfect for Lexington and 5th Av, St Patrick's is the most beautiful church i have ever seen and will stay with me forever i never thought i would see such a wonder in a city just breathtaking !!! The cafe/ diner plenty to eat for everyone they even had porridge, the brown bread is lovely, bagels muffins danish waffles, eggs, fresh juices, fresh fruit ,yogurts, and a choice every day of hot bacon or sausages scrambled egg omelets, you will not be disappointed. Yeah there is work on a building next door, however your out most of the day and it wont affect you. if you want tickets for Broadway we got a great discount for Jersey Boys by going to the Theatre in the morning what a fab show. Go on book this place you will not be disappointed its wonderful Thank You Robert and staff for making this extra special

"6 Very happy Irish ladies"
clairecrillysmart, 15 Septembre 2016

Visited Best Western for 5 nights from September 7th and really was very impressed from start to finish! Very central hotel located in walking distance to Times Square, 5th Avenue & Central Park. Staff were very polite and helpful and a special mention to Anthony who greeted us on arrival and seen us off on our departure with a nice cup tea in hospitality area while awaiting on our shuttle bus. Room 8a was clean to a high standard and met needs of 6 Irish women on a shopping trip, plenty of space for shopping and bathroom was also maintained to good standard with plenty towels, only draw back I could mention is low voltage for hair dryers but with a hair dressers directly opposite hotel we treated ourselves to a lovely holiday blow dry with glass of prosecco ?? Having stayed in many 4 star nyc hotels in past and whilst they all have impressive lobby areas all hotel rooms are very small so I would really recommend Best Western for there actual room sizes that are like staying within apartment. Really suitable for a group of friends or families. A extra added benefit was inclusion of breakfast that was also a high standard with good selection and complementary tea and coffee available through out the day! Will definitely return myself and recommend to others. Thanks, Claire Smart

"Great location and amenities - ideal for families"
Evening_bell, 14 Septembre 2016

I visited in Feb 2016 with my parents. They are a bit older so we chose this Best Western for its location (near the subway, St Patrick's, Rockefeller etc. - not too much walking) and amenities (free breakfast and kitchen). It's very clean and spacious and we were very happy with the stay. The suite had one queen bedroom - this was nicely furnished, they had no complaints as to the mattress quality, and also with a built in safe. The living room doubled as the second bedroom - this had a fold out sofa bed, still a decent night's sleep! It's got a good sized TV too, plenty of election primary coverage when we were there! The kitchen was a real plus - after a long day's sightseeing we relished being able to relax with a cup of tea and a snack and the kitchen (replete with welcome basket of snacks) gives the freedom to do that. It would be extremely helpful for larger families with kids who don't want to spend a fortune in restaurants, and sure enough we saw lots of young families in the hotel. Regarding breakfast - arrive early as the breakfast room fills up fast! It's the type of breakfast typical of a lot of US chains - decent filter coffee with a selection of creamers, make your own waffles, omelette, bagels, cereal etc. - nothing stylish or pretentious but a good start to the day. (As an Irish visitor I can confirm that you should bring your own tea, but you already knew that :) ) What else to say - great value (we booked on the Best Western website), quiet (note, there was construction work ongoing while we were there but not while we were in the room). It also has a more intimate feeling than many other NYC hotels, partly because it's a 10-storey on one of the quieter Midtown streets, but also the welcome is friendly and the service very professional - staff were very helpful with taxis, etc. You are made to feel that your custom is very welcome without ever being intimidated by the surroundings. I would highly recommend this hotel!

"Staff are a credit !!"
Tracy M, 13 Septembre 2016

Spent 6 amazin nights in NewYork with sisters and friends. These apartments were in a fantastic location, the moment we got there, we were met outside by the happiest, smiliest lad I've ever met. Anthony took our bags and along with every single staff member made our week so enjoyable. We were pleasently suprised wit a lovely welcome basket of water and snacks in our apartment, Breakfast is included, was delicious. Rooms were spotless.. linen and towels were changed daily. Staff on the desk couldn't be more helpful, with tips, idea's on where to go and arranging transport. Will absolutely visit again and highly recommend staying here x

"Awesome NYC Suite Hotel, Great Location & Price!! :-)"
Seth H, 07 Septembre 2016

I never stayed at a Best Western, but thought this would be a good first try. If you are looking for an affordable Suite hotel in the heart of NYC with the best staff, comfortable and clean accomodations, look no further. This BW hotel offers full 1 bedroom suites with full kitchen, living room and bedrooms with Queen and King beds. Not fancy shmancy, but offers great accomdations that are clean, usefull and reasonably priced. Best off all, EVERY staff member at the hotel is super friendly and willing to help with any request. You can't go wrong from staying at this awesome NYC hotel.

"AWESOME VALUE!"
David R, 05 Septembre 2016

Booked a last minute night in NYC with the family. What a pleasant surprise! I called on the phone and the manager was very helpful and even greeted us on arrival the next afternoon. The room was HUGE! The suite was a large one bedroom apartment. Nothing fancy but clean and comfy. The staff was courteous and helpful from start to finish. The complimentary breakfast was nice too. The only knock I have is for those who want to sleep in. A building is being erected next door, so 7am jack hammer wake up! This place is where I will stay for future NYC visits Thanks Again Capt. "All the Hospitality you'll need"
Richard O, 05 Septembre 2016

Superb family hotel situated just a couple of locks form the Rockafella Complex & within easy walking distance of Times Square & Grand Central. Apartments are either spacious 1 or 2 bedroomed & have very large & comfortable bed mattresses. Staff are brilliant & keen to assist - breakfast food is great but it is a smallish room & can be a squeeze. Eat outside on the deck or take breakfast back to your room if you prefer. Best Western please dont change what your doing here - you have a great team & a great offering for families as well as couples looking for room space.

"A Gem in New York City"
L M, 04 Septembre 2016

This hotel met all our expectations and beyond. The location is perfect to walk to major attractions and the subway is close by. The staff in particular Sam at the front desk, Anthony and his assistant at breakfast were extremely kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to help guest. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff extremely efficient, they left clean towels every day. I would and have recommended this hotel to friends and family traveling to New York, they would not be disappointed. We had family living in New York meet us at the hotel and they were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the spacious room. It is because of the staff that I truly believe makes the hotel exceptional! There is a great selection for breakfast ie coffee, fruit, pastries, hot foods, and our favourite the waffle maker! The only con would be the noise of the construction next door and the low water pressure in the shower. Definately would return to this hotel again!!

"A pleasant surprise! "
Melissa M, 28 Août 2016

Stayed here in November 2015 and completely forgot to write a review. Stayed here as a family of 5 for our 1st visit to NYC and was well aware we didn't pay as much as some of the surrounding hotels so wasn't expecting much. But what a find!!! The room was probably one of the best Iv stayed in, given we didn't spend much time in it as we were out all day sightseeing but they accommodated a family of 5 adults with plenty of extra room. Very clean too. Staff were very friends offered help for us with directions and always a friendly greeting. And wow breakfast all I can say was the waffle machine was the best addition ever! Would and have recommended this hotel to others and would 100% stay again in the future. Pretty central for all our tourist needs.

"Good location. Hotel "OK". Construction work next door may bother some."
Brit_in_China, 28 Août 2016

Within reasonable walking distance to many sightseeing attractions and shopping. (Empire State, Rockefeller, Central Park etc.) Subway close by. Grand central 10 mins walk. Hotel rooms are large. A bit worn but clean. Units have kitchen. Apartment style. Construction work next door starts at 7AM! Its pretty noisy if you were trying to sleep. Made no difference to us since we were getting up and heading out for the day. Did not affect us at all. Staff are friendly to guests and helpful (but pretty rude to each other - not the most professional environment). Single elevator means it can be long wait. (We used the stairs but walking 8 or 9 floors might not be practical for some). Breakfast included. Reasonable quality. Very accommodating and helpful breakfast staff. Small breakfast room. But we did not really have to wait more than a minute for a seat. (Could also take back to your room if you prefer).

"Recommend! "
frankiej91, 24 Août 2016

This hotel did meet our expectations, it was ideal for somewhere central to stay just to sleep in if you're out a lot in the day. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The room has everything you need to cook in, and have a comfortable stay, I found the beds very comfortable, which was a benefit because I suffer from back problems. The room is cleaned every day with fresh towels, bed made etc, and the maid even washed a few cups up for us, we were also given a local newspaper each morning. Breakfast was a lot better than expected, it consisted of cereal, tea, coffee, juice machine, yoghurt, fruit, bagels , toast, muffins, some warm food, but most importantly a waffle marker, which we enjoyed, there is a lovely man that ensured coffee is topped up, and who very approachable. The only low points were, the plug sockets are low voltage, coming from England a lot of my appliances did not really work in the plugs, for example, my hair dryer did not work as it would normally because of the low voltage and phone charging took a little longer than normal. However, the hair dryer that is provided worked fine so we just used that. There is also construction work being undertaken on one side of the hotel, it starts early but also ends early, if the windows are shut it did not bother us that much, we did just block the noise out after a while. All in all, this hotel is a great location, and has everything you need to have a safe, comfortable stay, I would stay here again.

"Excellent stay"
Jeri H, 23 Août 2016

This hotel was very nice and within walking distance to most everything we wanted to do, and also close to the subway for sights that were a little further than we wanted to walk. Our 2 bedroom suite was spacious and very clean, as was the rest of the property. The breakfast was good and there was plenty. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

"Great time with the family."
Huw D, 20 Août 2016

Travelled as a family of five. 2 adults 3 children. The two bedroom apartment was large even though we used the sofa bed. Very clean. Our apartment was at the front so not much construction noise that was going on in the back of the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel was ok but the seating area is small and can get cramped. Go early if you are having your breakfast there. Too noisy to eat outside with the construction going on.Easy walking distance to the subway. Would happily stay there next time in New York.

"Best Western Hospitality House stay"
Caroline L, 19 Août 2016

Lovely stay. Excellent location and within walking distance to all attractions. Huge, clean suite. Construction noise did not bother us at all as we were gone all day. Outstanding staff who will go out of its way to make your stay enjoyable. Special mention to Anthony, the breakfast room attendant. Would not hesitate to stay there again on our next visit.

"Really liked this hotel"
jwcudworth, 14 Août 2016

This hotel turned out to be a very good choice. I did a lot of research before making reservations. The location was wonderful because we could walk everywhere except to Lower Manhattan. The rooms were very clean and bed was very comfortable. We never heard any construction noise, but we got there on Fri afternoon and left early Monday morning. The hotel itself was very quiet. We never heard a sound from the hall, the elevator, or any other rooms. I would definitely stay there again.

"Excellent service, helpful & friendly staff"
Izzy146, 08 Août 2016

Prompt service on arrival and given a free upgrade to a penthouse suite - great. Suite was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a good kitchen, a welcome pack was provided which was a nice touch. The staff were fantastic, especially Anthony who was really attentive, always had a smile and went out of his way to help us. Good variety at breakfast and plenty of it, food was constantly being replenished Great location. Thanks for a lovely stay

"Disappointed"
Erika L, 07 Août 2016

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for our anniversary, I requested ahead of time for a quiet room since we're taking breaks in between exploring New York as it was my firt time in the city. We got checked in at their only first floor room(1A or A1). At first I thought that was convenient.. But as we walk closer to our room, there were elevator, rest room, luggage room and executive office surrounding our room. We will hear door closing and opening every now and then, water running from the bathroom nearby, etc. Then the next day, we headed out early to explore the city then headed back after lunch to take a break since we're just walking around and our feets were getting tired. Then it got worse. There was a construction next to the hotel, which I am aware of since it's on their site. But God did it feel like it was next to our room. It's so loud in the room and so much louder inside the bathroom, and it would stop for a minute or two then it will continue! We asked the front desk what time they usually stop and he said between 5-6pm. We literally got the worst room in this property which I thought was inconsiderate. I know I am paying less since I am a BW employee, but this is not right. To have your guest suffer from that disturbance just because they're paying less is not very nice. We were tired since we really couldn't nap. It was really so loud. It just makes me really sad. I hope the room would be put out of order until after the construction is done. I feel sorry for all that's been and would be assigned on that room. It is terrible, no one deserves that. Cleanliness was good. I would stay here again when the construction is over. Maybe this is just really not the best time. Everything was in walking distance from this property which is awesome of you're first timers too like us.

"First class hotel but Wi-Fi not free in the rooms"
HeartQ8, 04 Août 2016

Great location and big rooms but the wi-fi not free in the guest rooms when the smaller hotels provide such service free in the same area, compare to others New York hotels it is a good chose. The location on theTimes is the key and it is very clean big rooms.

"Old - noisy - expensive."
ldniko, 24 Juillet 2016

The room are old and worn out, there is quit a bit of noise from construction and thing like the air-condition system was just warn down and did not work properly. Not worth the money even though it is in a nice walking distance from many things.

"Pretty good"
bethanym49, 20 Juillet 2016

Decent location, pretty central and good distance to walk to most attractions. Rooms are spacious and nice enough, very nice of staff to leave a welcome package in the fridge too. However, the front desk staff were atrocious at my time of visiting. They basically ignored our party of 9 for 20 minutes, and were extremely rude. We had to be moved rooms after one night as a result of a mistake, but the janitor there was extremely helpful. Breakfast was okay, the waffle maker was a particular favourite. I'd stay again if the front desk staff were changed.

"Enjoyable stay!"
792katalin, 15 Juillet 2016

We enjoyed our few days stay at this hotel despite the active construction site next door, perhaps just because most of our trip included the weekend and a holiday which were days off for the construction site, and therefore afforded us with pleasant tranquility. Besides, we did not spend much of the day at the hotel, other than sleeping and relaxing at night; which brings me to the bedroom bed that was somewhat small for a "double" as listed, and the sofa bed in the living room that was not the most comfortable. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our "suite" for its size that is premium in midtown Manhattan. The suite was clean and maintained clean daily, including the most important amenities: the bathroom and the kitchen! Hotel personnel was friendly, professional and welcoming.

"there is jackhammering all day next door"
Charles B, 14 Juillet 2016

Don't stay here. I have in the past with good results. There is now a 60 story office tower being built outside your window & the noise is non-stop. There are plenty of other nice hotels in the area for the price they charge.

"Great Location"
regalsnipe2016, 11 Juillet 2016

This hotel has some really good points, it also has some bad ones too. Firstly it is in a great location, close to Rockefeller Centre. The subway is a couple of minutes walk and also a Gray Line Tour Bus stop is on your doorstep. The breakfast was great, well organised and well stocked with toast, danish pastries, muffins and some hot food as well as cereals and a waffle maker. There is a tea/coffee machine available for use all day. They guy who looks after the breakfast area was really friendly and helpful. The bad points are our room was really grotty, it was just a basic double room which was cramped and not very clean. There were hairs in our bed on arrival and a huge dead beetle in the shower. The safe batteries were held in place with duck tape, so the whole initial first impressions were very negative. In fairness the young guy on reception, Anthony, was great in helping us with these issues. On the whole the location made the room bearable as we only really used the room to sleep and shower. The building work is very loud during the day but if you time it right with sightseeing etc. it's normally finished by the time you return. I must also say the pizza place right next door is really worth a try, it was cooked to order and really fresh.

"Perfect Location"
Lauren N, 07 Juillet 2016

The hotel was in the perfect location to get around NYC. It was close to the Metro & Gray Line bus stop. The two bedroom apartment was larger than we expected. The staff were very helpful & accommodating to our requests. Some construction behind the hotel was noisy during the day, but the beds were comfortable & great for a good night's rest. We were very satisfied with our entire stay.

"Great Boutique Hotel in the Heart of NYC"
bronx616, 06 Juillet 2016

Well it's not really a hotel, it's an apartment. Each unit comes with a bedroom, Small kitchen, and living room. You can stretch out and enjoy the added space. Lots of nearby shops, restaurants, and a short walk up to Rockefeller Center (best area in the city around the Holidays)

"Great location, some nice inclusions, crazy construction"
orange-hats, 03 Juillet 2016

This hotel has a great location! And you get a full apartment - closed bedroom, living room, dining room and full kitchen. This was very nice. Breakfast was included and is good. Nice selection. It's self serve. The room while large is quite old...but it's very clean. The bathroom had a strong smell of bleach. The bed was supposed to be a Queen but we think it was an extra long double. Not very comfortable. We had free wifi and newspaper each day. They also had breakfast to go bags which was a nice touch. The person at the front desk most of our stay was very friendly and helpful. Construction .... It really is intense...the noise from about 7:30 to 6 pm. We were out for most of the day so that helped, but it's constant and loud when you are there. At least it is not at night. It's not their fault....hopefully the digging part will be done soon because the regular construction noise was not so bad. restaurant right next door Toscana was very good. Great service and delicious food. Great location, easy access to subway and walking distance to lots of stuff. If construction was done, would stay again, but not till then.

"good location but noise unbearable"
lesley w, 15 Juin 2016

Booked here for a week. Had a two bedroom apartment. Good size with full kitchen. Easy access to subway, sites etc. However, DO NOT STAY HERE, at least until the building next door is finished. You will be sleeping next to a construction site. Constant from 7:00am to 6:00pm. With all the hotels in New York, pick somewhere else.

"Fantastic stay"
Dave F, 12 Juin 2016

Had a fantastic five days stay, staff could not have be been more friendly or helpful. Yes the construction noise is loud but not a lot that can be done about that. Thank you to all the staff you do New York proud. Room is large and kept very clean. Breakfast is great, for us Brits we very much enjoyed making our own waffles. If anything ran out staff very quick to replace.

"Spacious apartment next to construction site"
jalmiller, 04 Juin 2016

Great location in midtown Manhattan. Spacious suite with kitchen, sofa bed, separate bedroom and bathroom. Reasonable decor but dark rooms with limited natural light. Major construction work from 7am until 6pm. Very noisy. Avoid the penthouse suites which have worse decor, less well maintained and are smaller.

"Best Western - Best Stay"
L6648NLlisat, 03 Juin 2016

Great location, staff very friendly and helpful, great size rooms, especially for all your shopping! These are great suites to stay in. You have the subway right at your door front which gets you downtown very quickly and 5 minutes walk to Grand Central and 5th Avenue.

"Great apartment - worth dealing with the construction noise?"
starfish2005, 31 Mai 2016

Yes! It is worth working around the construction noise. It starts at 7am - 6pm, and currently the machinery being used vibrates the building. The apartments are huge and clean. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is modern, clean and well stocked with toiletries. Everyone who works here does a great job and is very friendly and helpful. The welcome basket is a really nice touch. I wasn't expecting to have to make up the sofa bed when we arrived, our room booking was for 3 people, I feel this should have been done. The bedding itself is a little tired and worn, and if replaced, would match the lovely fluffy towels. This accommodation is for families who want to have the luxury of space, wifi and breakfast included in the price, a great location, the freedom of full kitchen facilities, and who can work around the current noise.

"Exceptional hotel and fabulous staff!!!!!"
D H, 25 Mai 2016

Stayed for 3 nights in the Penthouse A. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and private balcony. Exceptionally clean. Spotless. Very spacious. Family of four including a 12 year old and 22 year old. I can't say enough about the staff especially Robert the general manager. Arranged a car to pick up and drive us to the airport. Reasonably priced. Amazing driver! A couple of awesome surprises in the room upon arrival. Breakfast was great and the server in the cafeteria was awesome! I would definitely stay here again. Free wifi! Only regret was booking through booking.com. Wish we could've stayed longer. Great location. See ya next year !!!!!!!

"Surprisingly Good!"
WendyAnn W, 20 Mai 2016

My friends and I did not the previous hotel booked, so this was a last minute booking. When we arrived at the front desk we were greeted by Sam Sharma, CHS, CGSP at guest services. He was warm and welcoming, he made us feel at ease. He was also, very friendly and jovial. We felt so welcome by the staff members and breakfast was a such a delight, that I would go back there again. We had the penthouse room, it was a like renting a little apartment in the city. It was only three of us, so it was just enough space for all of us. We liked that it available at short notice, and that they were so accommodating and welcoming for our short stay. It may not have the high end rooms in Manhattan, but the service was impeccable and the treatment we receive will never be forgotten. One more thing, I liked that it fit within our budget.

"Genuinely nice staff"
Schmetterlingtasche, 14 Mai 2016

I could see the construction site outside my window, but I arrived on Friday and left on Saturday, so did not endure the noise. Without the construction, this is a great place to stay. It's small, not the Hilton, but the staff goes out of its way to be welcoming and kind. Even the maintenance man said hello and asked about my visit. The breakfast room attendant greeted me cheerfully with a smile. I guess I was surprised at the warmth this small place offered, but it made the difference. I would certainly come back here. (But I would watch Trip Advisor for news on the construction!) My room was large (it was the ADA room), clean, and well-appointed. A basket with snacks and water! Amazing! And real toiletries and a sewing kit in the bathroom. Internet was excellent. They stored my bag for me at no charge, and called a taxi to the airport. Great location near to the subway.

"Perfect for families"
neet321, 09 Mai 2016

We stayed a week here in the 2 bedroom suite. It had 2 rooms, both with queen beds and a fold our sofa in the lounge rooms. 3 televisions, one bathroom and a full kitchen. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable, we all had a turn sleeping in it and wouldn't recommend it at all. The only disappointing thing about the room. But the apartment itself was amazing especially with 2 Adults and 3 kids. We walked almost everywhere and it was very handy to restaurants and pharmacy ( convenience stores ). There was free breakfast each morning and when the kids where asleep we would bring back muffins or yogurt for them a big plus when travelling with kids. If you need to use the sofa bed I would question if the mattress had been replaced because I slept in it for a night and it was like sleeping on springs. All the staff were very friendly.

"Don't come at the moment!!!"
Liz W, 02 Mai 2016

Great value hotel apartments, very good location BUT Sitting in our bedroom after a good day sightseeing as this is the room with double glazing, it would be much pleasanter if the jackhammer on the building site right outside our window wasn't going.....and won't stop till 6pm ( it started at 7.30am). Great pity as otherwise ideal but until this 60 story building is completed only stay here if you are deaf, earplugs work for you or you don't mind being woken at 6.30am when they start arriving on the building site.

"Spacious, well-located accommodation."
Christina H, 27 Avril 2016

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite here as a couple with our 3 year old son and our parents. It's a great sized apartment, decor etc. not bad for the price. The living room and bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen well-equipped (with super cold refrigerator, which was great). The bathroom was small but adequate although we really could have done with 2 bathrooms between our 2 families. There are 2 bed, 2 bath suites at the hotel but I wasn't able to select and book one, so it seems to be pot luck. If that's a facility you need, you could try calling them (although that wasn't successful in my case -more on that shortly). Oh and the bath towels are quite small, so you may want to pack a bath robe / dressing gown -I wished I had! Cleanliness was generally good, although there was grime on windowsills from the opening mesh and dust on high surfaces like the top of the freezer that might bother you if like things ultra perfect. The location is hard to beat. Central for the subway (a few minutes walk to catch an uptown / downtown 6 train and Grand Central not much further away) and for many of the highlights of Manhattan itself on foot. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The only issue was the construction work going on at the rear of the building. That was incredibly noisy from 8am through until 5pm. Not too much of a problem if you're planning on being out and about all day, but does take a little away from the idea of having somewhere to relax and go back to during the day. We were on the 7th floor and the noise was severe enough to interrupt speech and television viewing, so I'd imagine pretty unbearable on lower floors. Air-conditioning worked well, but was also quite noisy. No fan in the bathroom, so prone to humidity if four people are taking a shower in the morning. Water pressure about average, so not a power-shower but enough stream to wash your hair in reasonable time. Decent hairdryer in the bathroom (good power and doesn't require switch holding down), but tripped out on me after 3 or 4 minutes use every time. Probably due to overheating as I have very long hair. So you might want to take your own if you rely on one. Breakfast I would imagine was fine for most people. Good selection of pastries and giant muffins, some pots of yogurt, fruit (whole apples, oranges and bananas), bread, bagels, jam, butter, cream cheese, cereals, waffle-making machine and a small selection of hot items (scrambled egg and crispy bacon). Wasn't great for me personally and I ate out after the 3rd day but probably just my personal taste. The hot food could have been more diverse and appetising (I don't like bacon and the eggs were too sloppy for me), a fresh fruit salad would have been nice, as would more choice in fruits and I don't personally like danish pastries or the flavours of muffin available (no blueberry, plain or choc chip). Again, a lot is down to personal taste though and there is certainly enough there to set you up for the morning, along with plenty of coffee and juice. The breakfast room did tend to get a little busy after the first few minutes of opening so I'd reccomend either getting there for 7am sharp or taking a tray up to your room -where if you have a suite, at least you can make decent toast! -I'm not a fan of the rolling grill toasters, they're slow, inconvenient when the restaurant is busy, and either burn or undercook. It would be nice if toast was provided instead. The only other negative would be communication about sleeping arrangements. Our particular requirements for this trip were: a double room for my parents-in-law and a room for us and our 3 yr old. We were repeatedly told how the living room had a sofa bed which sleeps two and repeatedly explained that this woudn't be suitable for us as we needed a private room for each couple and the baby needed to be in the parents' bedroom. It would hardly work to put the baby to bed at 7 in the living room as then we'd all be confined to our bedrooms all evening! Plus as an anxious child in a strange place, we felt he'd be better in with us. As this was an important aspect to us, I made two phone calls and sent 3 emails to have it confirmed that we could have a roll-away bed in one of the bedrooms. Despite this there was no roll-away upon arrival and we were told there was no record of our request. However, I do have to say that the roll-away was then brought immediately with no problem, it was just a little frustrating having taken so much trouble to plan it. Staff were friendly and professional at all times. We met several reception staff and cleaning staff, all were pleasant and helpful. Overall, I enjoyed the trip and the accommodation. As we now have family in the city, it is likely that we will return fairly frequently. If we went as just one couple with children, I would very possibly stay here again. If there were two couples again I would stay if I could be assured a 2 bed, 2 bath suite. I would also have to carefully consider the price for regular trips as it's not a cheap option, although as mentioned, with the location and size, this is understandable.

"Great if you are deaf !"
pennygallagher, 21 Avril 2016

This was our second visit to this hotel and I would like to start by saying our first visit was excellent which is why we booked for a second visit ! (and our last visit) We arrived late in the evening and all was OK until 7am the following morning when the demolition work began. When we stayed before this was just a empty plot and during the drive from the airport we had discussed what may have been built in that plot over the last year. Little did we know that they were going to be digging further into the ground from 7am in the morning to 6pm every day ! The ground workers were using a 30 ton machine and a breaker the noise was deafening . This was NEVER ADVERTISED ON THE WEBSITE the only information that was pointed out to us was the small print on our booking.com confirmation sheet stating there maybe some building work being carried out during our stay i emphasize the word BUILDING this was not building this was demolition of pure rock in the ground. When we complained to the hotel manager (once he arrived he insulted us by informing us this was the city that never sleeps ! .ironically on our third night we really didn't have any sleep as a dodgy fire alarm decided to go off at 2AM ! He did in his defense move us to a different room but this made very little difference. But overall our whole experience was VERY disappointing.

"Birthday trip "
NearAndFar73, 17 Avril 2016

Stayed here with my husband and 2 children... WOW what a fantastic find!! Huge apartment style rooms fully working kitchen 2 large bedrooms... Great lounge... Perfect place to relax after a busy day of shopping and sightseeing.... Fantastic location!!

"Construction work in progess"
Andrew A, 15 Avril 2016

Be aware that major construction work is taking pace immediately next door to the hotel at the date of writing and that the construction is in it's early stages so will be ongoing for some time. For future reference, the room itself was comfortable (We just couldn't hear ourselves think from 7am!) The breakfast was basic, self service and on disposable plates / cutlery, but satisfactory.

"Excellent suites in a fabulous location"
Tahniat S, 11 Avril 2016

We had a superb stay at the suites hotel. The two bedroom suite was the size of a large Manhattan apartment. There was lots of space and the amenities were unparalleled for what we paid. I would unconditionally recommend this hotel.

"Good location and breakfast but needs some attention in places"
kfh30, 10 Avril 2016

This hotel was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast tasty and plentiful. When we arrived they offered us an 'upgrade' to a larger two bedroom suite which we didn't really need but agreed to as it was late and we were very jet-lagged so just paid the extra. The rooms were huge and beds comfortable, but I feel if we had said no then we may have been allowed to have it for free as it was clearly made up ready for us with a cot which I had asked for, so felt we may have been slightly conned into paying for it, but still it was nice to have the extra space!! There were a few things which I think might need a little TLC, like windows that have had aircon adding then any left over holes filled with foil or tape so still a bit draughty, and the radiators were very noisy at night. The kitchen had an oven but nothing to actually cook anything on except plates, and generally not very well equipped! I guess they don't expect people to be doing much proper cooking whilst there but it was one of my main reasons for booking somewhere with a kitchen as we had two young children with us so eating out every day wasn't the plan. It also wasn't mentioned when we booked about the noisy building work going on right next door - not really the hotel's fault but may have changed my mind when booking. Generally would recommend for location, price and breakfast but think it could be so much better with just a few little tweaks!

"Very Poor service"
gabby287lol, 31 Mars 2016

I had stayed here for one night with my friends. We booked the penthouse suite and are still waiting for our refund because our room that we had paid 500+ was apparently being used. Management was absolutely horrible and are very disappointed. I travel often to the city and this was just the worst trip ever. Never trust this place because when we had left the room to walk around, our stuff in the room was moved.

"Great location - good for large groups"
Ahotelguest, 30 Mars 2016

13 of us stayed here recently for 4 nights across 3 apartments. All very spacious and well equipped with comfortable big beds. Location is very good, one block from The Waldorf Astoria and most things are within walking distance. It's not quiet at night (but where is in NYC?) and you do get used to it, especially as you do so much walking. We stayed here 5 years ago and would still recommend as a good value place to stay in NYC.

"Location, Location, Location!"
MillionMilerRoadie, 29 Mars 2016

We had 7 reservations for week long stay for our group of colleagues from all over USA and overseas and we all enjoyed the hotel very much. The suites were very roomy and the full kitchen was so useful. The hotel had free wifi, which is very unusual for a NYC hotel, along with tasty full hot breakfast. The service at the hotel was excellent, from the front desk manager, to the housekeeping ladies, to the breakfast folks. There are many places nearby to dine. My only comment is that there were several large families who seemed to be from Europe or Latin America would come to breakfast and leave a big mess. They did not clean up after themselves and left the mess for the poor ladies to clean up. They treated the place like a restaurant - what a bunch of cheap, mean, barbarians! The worst is that I noticed very few of them bothered leaving a tip for the hard working folks every morning. I made sure that every person in my group left tips each morning, not only to the breakfast team, but also to the housekeeping ladies. I do not know why folks from Europe seem to be so reluctant to leave a tip. My group, who are from USA and East Asia, recognize that good service deserves recognition.

"Great hotel"
mmccaully45, 29 Mars 2016

Much bigger than the average hotel in New York City. Great for traveling families or groups. My kids loved breakfast. I Would definately return or recommend this hotel. Very clean and affordable. Check in and out was very smooth.

"Did not disappoint "
MrsBradders, 26 Mars 2016

I think I must of researched every single hotel in Manhattan and finally decided on this one based on the space it offered our family and the location. Space was brilliant. The two bed suite was more tired than I had expected, but once we looked past this, the space and facilities were spot on. Two large bedrooms with a living area and a small kitchen and small bathroom. Beds were incredibly comfy. The kids enjoyed the breakfasts, especially the waffle making machines! Space was limited in the breakfast room, and one morning we had to take our food up to our room as there were no free tables. The staff were friendly. Location was great. Seven minute walk (three blocks) to the Rockefella centre. Lots of eateries close by. Would we stay again? I don't think so. Not because we didn't like it, we did. But next time I think I'd like a little bit more luxury.

"Great location, great accomodations"
jill4272015, 22 Mars 2016

Stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate 60th birthday. Best location in New York. Best attractions within walking distance and the subway is right around the corner. We had a 2 bedroom suite which must have been an apartment at some time. Tons of room and tons of closets. Nice bathroom and great kitchen. Lovely gift basket in fridge and really nice breakfast. We had a major glitch with some misinformation but the general manager conscientiously and graciously resolved it making our stay memorable and fun. Thank you best western plus.

"Best kept secret in all NY"
franksro, 16 Mars 2016

BW is convenient to all of midtown: entertainment, restaurants, places of culture. Great for families who are having health issues and need a place to stay far from home while family member is being treated.

"Good overall experience and value for money"
paul s, 13 Mars 2016

Enjoyable stay from 5th-12th march in excellent location for various attractions. Manager was very honest before booking regarding the noise from the adjoining construction site and managed to get us on the top floor which we requested. Had a plumbing problem the first morning and the maintenance guy was there within the hour and fixed it.Loads of good bars/restaurants within walking distance.

"Excellent Experience!"
10suzy, 11 Mars 2016

Extremely spacious! Not you typical NYC hotel for the price! Stayed for business! Came back for fun! Within walking distance of United Nations, Broadway, Times Square, Grand Central Station, St Patrick 's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and best of all the LEGO STORE! Ask my grandson!

"Tons of space!"
L6090PJjenniferd, 25 Février 2016

Stayed here for one night with my cousins and their kids. This was the only suite that could comfortably sleep 5. The gentleman at the desk was very pleasant at check in, and my companions were all thrilled with the complimentary breakfast in the morning. The room we got had two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living area and a small kitchen. It was perfect for our needs. Do ask for a topper if you are going to be using the sofa bed - it was deemed unsleepable by my 19 year old male cousin, and I thought teen boys could sleep on anything! Also, the room was really warm - plan your sleeping attire accordingly!

"Just perfect for families"
squishy_9, 23 Février 2016

Stayed here on our first international trip with my 14 month old in the blizzard. Always going to be an interesting time but this hotel is fabulous for families. We were there for 5 nights and really felt like home. Our party of 5 was able to spread out ad each get space in the 2 bedroom apartment and not feel like we were on top of each other. The rooms were designed so that the toddler didn't wake people in the rest of the apartment when he was playing at odd hours thanks to jetlag. Right from the beginning i was impressed with this hotel. A couple of queries before our arrival were answered promptly and a request was handled beautifully. We were also allowes to check in a little earlier after a 15 hour flight which was so lovely with a tired baby. The staff were really lovely and friendly. The hotel is in a fabulous location right in midtown. An easy walk to central park and close by to several sub way stations to make getting around very easy. The rooms are a great size. The 2 bedrooms were huge and the king bed was a rare (but very welcome!) Find. The bathroom was small but well laid out for functional usage. The kitchen was huge, we ate in a couple of times and had everything we needed to make simple meals. The tvs had a good variety of cable channels (great when you're up all hours with a jetlagged toddler)! The heating was a bit overzealous and even in mid winter we had to keep a window open to get the temperature right. That was probably my fault for not being able to work the radiator style heater. The provided breakfast was simple, but exactly what you need to get you started for a day it sightseeing. There was always lots of each item and the breakfast room was cleaned quickly after each party left. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it was a little noisy so get a room higher up if you can. The staff were all very lovely and helpful - the only downside was that on our way to the airport we asked reception to call a cab and they called a town car which was twice as expensive as a taxi. I felt pretty ripped off by that and it put a bad finish on what was otherwise a fabulous stay. The hotel is a fabulous choice for families and was a great introduction to international travel.

"Great location, lots of space, cost effective suite hotel"
Wendy H, 20 Février 2016

6 of us stayed in a 2 bedroomed suite on the 7th floor. 2 excellent sized bedrooms and a double sofa bed which was fine once we had requested a topper for it. The suite had a good sized living room, a bathroom and a separate kitchen. The Hotel is very well located around 10 minutes walk from the Rockefeller Centre and around the same from Grand Central Station. We walked everywhere except when heading right down to the Financial District. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a saving not to have to buy breakfast every day. The only downside was that the suite was particularly noisy, having a broken window frame on the very window below which there was building work taking place on an adjacent site. It started at around 7.30am each morning - helped us to get up and out ! (A silver lining!). This isn't glossy and new accommodation but it is very spacious and very clean.

"Botched reservation"
Jeanie, 04 Février 2016

We booked through Expedia by phone. I talked with the representative and 3 times confirmed that there were 2 bathrooms in the suite. He assured me each time that there were 2 bathrooms. With 3 females and 2 guys getting ready for shows at the same time, this was an important amenity for us. We arrived at the property, checked in, and discovered only one bathroom in the suite. BWPlus blamed Expedia, Expedia blamed BWPlus, and BWPlus said they could not refund our money because we had already checked into the room. Location is not bad and the room was good for the money, but we won't be returning.

"Perfect for a family group, great location, good value"
MortonFan, 30 Janvier 2016

We had apartment 3A, a front-facing, two bedroom flat. It was great for my sister and me, who were treating our nephew (16) and niece (15) to a few days in New York. The location is excellent, plenty of dining options close by. The hotel is, I think, an old apartment building. I just has one lift but that wasn't a problem for us. We had one bathroom - again not a problem, and a large, spacious living / dining area. It had a TV as did each bedroom (a king and a twin). Plenty of towels and bedding. My nephew slept on the pull-out sofa bed, which didn't have the best mattress on it but after reading reviews on here, I knew to request a mattress topper which improved the comfort for him. We didn't use the kitchen, but it was a decent size, very clean and looked well-equipped. Central heating was big old radiators - at times they hissed a bit but no big deal. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was that it serves a complimentary buffet breakfast. The breakfast room is small, but turns over quickly and there is everything you could want from cereal, to waffles, to a hot option (eggs / sausages). The staff kept the food turning over and the place clean. The rooms have trays so if you like, you can come down and collect breakfast to have in your room. It's self-serve and everything is paper plates / cups and plastic cutlery. By day 4 we decided to treat ourselves to a real NY diner breakfast and found just the place one street up, behind the hotel - the New York Luncheonette on E 50th Street. Fast, efficient service and a nice authentic experience for the kids. The staff at the Hospitality House were extremely helpful and accommodating - my sister and I were delayed 9 hours and our niece and nephew arrived alone, never having been in NY before. The BW team settled them into our apartment and sent them off in the direction of a McDonald's. By the time we arrived, they were well fed and tucked up fast asleep! We really appreciated them looking out for the kids. The Hospitality House isn't a luxury hotel but for groups or families who want space and flexibility in accommodation and / or catering, it's fantastic. It gives you a real taste of living in a Manhattan neighbourhood, it's small-scale, intimate and has a great team looking after guests. They also looked after our luggage on the last day and arranged a limo service to the airport - more comfortable than a cab and not much more expensive. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Great Location/Price/Size"
smg50, 21 Janvier 2016

Breakfast and wifi included, great location to walk to Theatre district (about 15 mins) on the same street as Rockefeller Centre, very handy to subways. Apartments have a full kitchen+ lounge/dining area + separate bedroom and bathroom, BIG for NYC accommodation and so much better than a normal hotel room. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean and comfy bed/s. I was visiting for a week with my two teenage daughters and would definitely recommend

"Big space, Great location, Nice Staff!"
Carolyn C, 20 Janvier 2016

Easy access to the E and 6 trains (you can get anywhere in NY from the E and 6). Walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Grand Central. More money than some other hotels that are "fancier" but you are getting more space and a small kitchen. Be aware no high floors so you hear the street traffic. And elevator lobby on each floor is small so noise travels into your room. The staff is very nice. I planned my husbands surprise birthday party and had family fly in from all over and they were very helpful. We've stayed there multiple times.

"Hospitality House is a big Plus"
253carolr, 17 Janvier 2016

If you like to stretch your dollar like we do, this is a great place to stay. It is comfortable with lots of elbow room. The convenience of having a full kitchen, living/dining room and separate bedroom during our week in New York was fantastic. Dining in saved us big bucks...and time! We didn't cook. We bought home cooked meals (not TV dinners) at Morton Williams super market - two blocks away - and used the microwave. We ate out when we wanted to, not because we had to, and could store and reheat our leftovers in our room. A free fresh breakfast every morning is a super "plus" for us. Now we're spoiled and always search for "free breakfast" before booking. The location fits our needs. The Subway is close, and used to be our primary transportation, but we now love getting around on New York buses! Often easier and more convenient than a subway for many trips. A 10 minute bus ride puts you 2 short blocks from the Times Square TKTS booth. The same unlimited ride card is good for subways and buses. We have been to New York almost annually for years and Hospitality House has been our first choice in recent years and is our first choice for next year.

"BEST Location & Service"
Karen M, 14 Janvier 2016

We spent 6 night here in Jan 2016... was recommended by my sister and daughter who had stayed here on separate occasions... So glad we booked and stayed at this hotel... Robert the Manager and Sam on the front desk where just excellent and went way beyond what we have experienced in the past.... King Size suite was VERY spacious and incredible for the price we paid... location was EXCELLENT, room was EXCELLENT, service was EXCELLENT... would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC and will stay here again in an instant.

"Awesome"
Philmedds, 08 Janvier 2016

Really good stay had a two bedroom suite five adults plenty of space. Breakfast was adequate to keep you going for a long day walking. Main plus point is location brilliant. The staff are helpful especially with directions.

"Perfect for families"
EllaLancashire, 05 Janvier 2016

We stayed here at New Year with our family aged 21 19 17 and 13 . The apartment type arrangement works really well and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and spaciousness of the accommodation. The staff could not have been more helpful and breakfast was perfectly fine . The location is really good too . This is really good value and a perfect base for families to use . The kitchen is well equipped and whilst we didnt do any self catering it does provide the option.

"Christmas in New York"
John M, 05 Janvier 2016

23rd /30th December 2015 Christmas in New York Very well Located Hotel for all New York sites and transport. Buses right outside the door, subway two or four blocks away depending which line you need to use. Staff in this hotel are helpful, polite and nothing is to much for them, a credit to this hotel. If you were to ask me to name one it would have to be Eddy Luna, a minefield of information, a guide to New York all on his own. Rooms as described I cant fault them, but as some other reviewers have stated the sofa beds could do with being upgrade, they are a bit hard and lumpy. Breakfast, once class every morning ( thanks Abdul ), we always ate in our room, again because as some other reviewers have stated the breakfast room is quiet small and when it is busy it does get very cramped. Other then the above two points this is a first class hotel and first class staff. Some people may find this hotel a little out of the way but remember the best and quickest two modes of transport are walking ( don't forget to keep looking up ) and the subway, after all your are in New York: Grand Central 5 mins 5th Avenue 5 / 6 mins Top of the Rock 5 / 6 mins Times Square 10 / 12 mins Central Park 10 / 12 mins All times are for walking WTC 20 / 25 mins by subway

"Fabulous hotel for families perfectly positioned in NYC"
Craig L, 03 Janvier 2016

Stayed here for New Year 2015 - we were attracted by the large family suites available which have two bedrooms (a queen and a king size) a spacious living room and kitchen. The locations is perfect - just a 10 minute walk to the Rockafella Centre and maybe 15 to Time Square or Central Park. It's clean and well decorated but if you want luxury stay next door at the Waldorf Astoria. The buffet breakfast is perfect for families with a full range of cereals, pastries, breads, hot option and the very popular make your own waffles ! The staff were 1st class, helpful and knowledgable. Our daughter was poorly during our stay and was sick - the hotel were superb at servicing the room without problem, cleaning and replacing all the bedding and towels. It is a little noisy outside but then the city was really busy being new year and after all New York is the city that never sleeps !!!!!!!!!!

"Just like an English Bed & Breakfast"
Thescheff, 01 Janvier 2016

A quaint hotel in a great location with very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Being between the United Nations and Fifth Avenue the location was excellent. The rooms were spacious, quiet, very clean and ideal for a family of four that needed two separate bedrooms. It was expensive but New York at Christmas is expensive and this seemed good value for money especially given breakfast was included in the tariff. The only issue was that the wifi was very slow and one bathroom was an issue on a couple of occasions. I'd thoroughly recommend for families visiting New York that need an extra bedroom and a bit of space.

"Great location & value"
Lynda S, 30 Décembre 2015

Great value in NYC. Short walk to every thing & near Rockerfella centre. Suite, king bed in separate room plus queen sofa bed in lounge with full kitchen perfect for a family. Great Italian restaurant next door. Really friendly staff. Simple breakfast included.

"Good location"
ErikvanDriel, 27 Décembre 2015

Well located. Walking distance to most tourist sites. Spacious, clean apartments. Street noise and hooting can be irritating early evening. Breakfast is fair. All and all good value for money based on location and accommodation

"Great for families"
marshaandduncan, 23 Décembre 2015

While not cheap (what is in NY City?), the penthouse suites in this hotel are great for traveling with families who do not want their kids in separate rooms. Kitchen minimally supplied but adequate. Living area, dining table, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. Beds very comfortable.

Can it really be 9 years ? Our group of girlfriends returns annually for our weekend of shopping and fun . What adds to the experience is our accommodations at BWHH! It's really a little apartment that lets us have room to spread out ( 2 bedroom / 2 bath with full kitchen and living room / dining area ) and not feel on top of each other. There is a full complimentary breakfast on the Lobby level with scrambled eggs , bacon/sausage , pastries , cereals , juice and coffee . Perfect for families with kids who are hungry the minute they get up . You can eat it in the breakfast room or bring it back to your " apartment ". No restaurant in the hotel but right next door is the San Martin - delicious Italian with an A rating . Everyone of the staff is so friendly and helpful - thanks Sam for helping us arrange transportation to and from the theater ! The beds are comfortable and the housekeeping staff is good - everything is kept very clean . We stay on the top floor and there is even a huge balcony with some patio furniture . It's not elegant or fancy but - location location location ! Thanks again to all and looking forward to next year .

"Great location, good value"
Steve J, 05 Décembre 2015

Spent 5 nights here recently. The location is great - a few minutes from Grand Central which gives good access North and South. You can get from Midtown on either the 4,5 or 6 line to Brooklyn for $3. There were 5 in our party and so we had to use the sofa bed. The hotel provided an additional foam top mattress but the bed still wasn't great. The beds in the other rooms were comfortable. Room was clean and the staff were excellent. Breakfasts were good.

"had a great holiday here"

Great location the hotel is getting refurbished at present but the staff are so nice and helpful would recommend this hotel the room sizes are amazing some of the furniture needs updating but overall great place

"Brilliant base for a first time family trip to New York"
Claire H, 27 Novembre 2015

To call this good value for money is an understatement. The hotel was priced similarly to others we looked at but where you get a single room in them, this offers a large apartment. It's in a brilliant location, close to the Rockerfeller and 5th Avenue shopping. All the staff were wonderful were really helpful. What's great: Location Wifi Comfy beds Fully stocked kitchen Breakfast included Close to subway What could have made our stay better: Window closing in our room to reduce the street noise

"amazing service and value"
msviper, 25 Novembre 2015

We were three couples(family) grovelling at the start of nov. We were surprised by the fantastic quality of the room suites, one couple had a two bedroom with super king and queen, another a super king and twin and ourselves a one bed queen. A fantastic amount of space with great quality furnishings. Well equipped kitchen. great location to times square etc. the most fantastic part were the staff. Sam on the desk in particular was amazing, booking us dinner, subway times, transport... well everything really. Would highly recommend this hotel if you want space, quality and great service.

"Birthday Celebrations"
Essex5, 23 Novembre 2015

Stayed here with family for 7 days. Great central location, clean rooms and very helpful desk staff. Very good for us as we had an odd number of 5 people. Particularly impressed with a nice bottle of wine, chocolates and a birthday card from the Manager! The ONLY gripe I have is that there are not enough tables in the breakfast room but nevertheless the choice is fairly good. Would recommend without hesitation.

"Great option for groups in NYC"
Laura P, 20 Novembre 2015

Great place for large groups to stay. Living room provided an excellent space for in room pizza dinner from the place next door. Easy access to subway. Large rooms great for group travel. Friendly and helpful staff.

"Fantastic!!"
Bev L, 10 Novembre 2015

Absolutely brilliant apartment! So much space, the staff were amazingly welcoming and helpful. The location couldn't have been better, so close to 5th avenue and Central Park, would deffinetly stay there again. Even a newspaper delivered every day and stored our luggage for us overnight while we went on a trip to niagra falls. Food was lovely, a bit busy in the mornings for breakfast but we always had a table and the kids loved helping themselves. Overall fantastic, thank you best western!!

"Excellent situation. Friendly service."
Elizabeth W, 29 Octobre 2015

The rooms are a bit 'tired' but spacious and clean. The sofa bed in 2C needs renewing and the air con. is draughty but overall its good value and we enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast is adequate and the breakfast staff very helpful.

"Excellent value"
elizabethcF7283BY, 28 Octobre 2015

If you are looking for good value and a convenient location, this Best Western is an excellent option. While it is not high-end, it is well-suited suited for a group or family who plan on spending more time exploring the city than in their room.

"NYC BEST western plus lovely warm and welcoming 11 Nights"
sonnymustravel, 28 Octobre 2015

Really good hotel for families we stayed during the January whiteout this year the hotel replace windows In our two bedroom apartment and made it even better to sleep ,soften the street noise , sirens going all hours of the day the lift was tight with cases and persons and often filled with staff doing their chores housekeeping where great. A ready decent place to stay with nice people running the hotel And central to everything we wished the hotel could put in washer/dryer combos in each apartment and it would be PERFECT

"good for families"
charlie010115, 22 Octobre 2015

This was our first visit to New York and we looked at lots of options for accommodation. The Best Western provided us with the space we needed. It was in a good location and we were well looked after by all the staff. It was a little noisy at night but remember it is New York - we used ear plugs and didn't have a problem

"Location, Location, Location...We will be back"
Penny4urTh0ughts, 20 Octobre 2015

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Best Western Plus Hospitality House in New York City from October 6 to October 14, 2015. The hotel is strategically placed in mid-town manhattan - you could not ask for better proximity to upper and lower manhattan, rockefeller center, theatre district, subway access and Metro, shopping on 5th avenue, grand central station, and time square. The hotel itself had the best hot breakfast each morning. Lots of international guests. Everyone was content. A USA Today newspaper at our door each morning, and the New York Times available at no charge in the dining area. The suite we had was more like an apartment - very spacious. Entry way, full kitchen with dishes and microwave, and stove, and complimentary snack basket, a large living room with TV and DVR, free WiFi, an adjacent dining room table for six. The bedroom also had a TV and good channel package. The full bathroom was roomy with good lighting and plenty of space for toiletries. The hallway closet was stocked with towels and toilet paper. There was housekeeping service everyday. Any room temperature needs are quickly addressed by the front desk and engineering. You can count on Sam Sharma to direct you to a closeby cozy and intimate dining experience for two at Bobby Vans - that was special for us as this trip was for our anniversary. Just outside the front door of the hotel is a pizzeria nextdoor - great for the munchies!! Plus there is an Italian restaurant next to the pizzeria for a full course meal. The weather in New York was perfect - no winter clothing necessary. The only long lines for attractions was 9/11 Ground Zero - you need to get there before 11am. Also, if you want to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, don't go on Sunday - too many people. Be sure to see a Broadway show - we saw Jersey Boys and it was fantastic!! Packed house. And if you need transportation to and from the airport, DO NOT take the Airport Shared SuperShuttle Service unless you like standing around in the airport for 4-6 hours waiting for your pickup. Book your transportation thru Victor's Limo Service 917-373-1283 as he is reasonable and will provide curbside door to door service. Our morning ride to JFK only took 45 minutes...traffic not bad...again, the hotel front desk provided this information. If we ever go back, we'll be sure to call and book with Best Western Plus Hospitality House. I hope you find this review helpful and that you enjoy your trip as much as we did.

"Location!!! Great hotel."
AfricanNomad1985, 19 Octobre 2015

The hotel is very well positioned, close to various attractions. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was an absolute treat. The rooms are nice and modern as well as very clean. We will definitely make use of this property when we visit the states again.

"Great accommodation"
Jwright76, 16 Octobre 2015

We stayed here end of September/early October for 4 nights. Hotel staff were all very friendly, and looked after us following an issue with our booking. We had a one bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and surprisingly quiet at night, compared to other hotel we stayed in closer to Times Square. The bed was very comfortable, however the kids did share the sofa bed which was just adequate for them but I wouldn't want to sleep on it as you could feel the springs! The breakfast was good. Large selection of options available, cereal, croissants, muffins, pastries, eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, juice, coffee etc. there is gluten free cereal on request as well as gluten free bread. Unfortunately I couldn't eat the gluten free toast as it has to be put in the same toaster as the non gluten free and would be contaminated from the crumbs, which would make me sick. It would be great if kitchen had a small toaster in the kitchen for gluten free. Location was good, short walk to subway. Only 5 min maximum walk to Rockefeller Centre, and not much longer to Grand central station . There is a pizza/Italian restaurant down stairs (no gluten free options) and the family said the pizza was really good. We would definately stay here again and have recommended it to other family and friends.

"Just what we needed"
StephSandison, 11 Octobre 2015

I stayed at the Hospitality House in September 2015 with my family. We had two apartments - a 1 bedroom & a 2 bedroom. Both of which were lovely, spacious and extremely clean. I felt that the location of the hospitality house was perfect...not too far a walk from all attractions and points of interest. We stayed in New York for 4 days and only used the subway once and that was to get to and from the 9/11 Museum/Staten Island ferry. It was a 5 minute walk from the Rockefeller Centre and about 10 from Times Square. The breakfast was a selection of breads & pastries, cereal, bacon, egg, sausage etc as well as fruit juices, tea & coffee. It was lovely. The staff were friendly and so helpful. I would definitely stay here again :)

"Great Accomadation"
Penny B, 05 Octobre 2015

Really enjoyed our stay here.We stayed in March of this year and it was lovely to come back to a lovely warm apartment . We stayed in the Penthouse two bedroom suite with large kitchen ,two bedrooms ,lounge and a wrap around patio. Beds were super comfy. My only complaint was some of the reception staff were a bit frosty but hey you can't have it all.

"New York midtown "
Amanda C, 02 Octobre 2015

Very basic accomodation and breakfast. We stayed in penthouse and defiantly wasn't penthouse worthy. Long walk from any attractions including E49 street to time square and Central Park and the shopping district. Wouldn't stay again only due to location. Accommodation was adequate.

"Ideal Base on East 49th"
Alison5864, 01 Octobre 2015

We had a fabulous 4 night stay in this accommodation. The suite was well furnished and ideal for our needs with a kitchen, bathroom, double bedroom and sitting room with dining table and sofa bed. Complimentary breakfast - croissants, muffins, cereal, pastries, fruit, juice, waffles, toast, hot drinks - was more than adequate in setting us up for the day. Reception was always helpful with our queries and other hotel staff also friendly. We had no negative issues

"Another Great Stay"
Marilyn C, 28 Septembre 2015

If you need a convenient hotel in mid-town Manhattan this is the one. Our Suite was large ( by NYC standards) and well maintained. Short walks to Grand Central and Time Square and reasonable cab rides to anywhere else on Manhattan. If you need to know anything - and I mean anything - about where to go, how to get there or what it should cost just ask Sam at the front desk.

"Great Hotel Find"
smartcar8, 28 Septembre 2015

We booked a 1 bedroom penthouse suite at the Best Western Hospitality House through Expedia for 4 nights in September. The suite was for 3 adults. Suites have one bedroom, one bath, a living room with a pullout bed, a small sitting area and a kitchen. When we arrived there had been some mis-communication between Expedia and the hotel and our penthouse suite was not available for the first 2 nights. The manager could not have done more to correct the problem - giving us a 2 bedroom suite for the first night and providing us with lots of extras throughout our stay. We were very impressed with how the incident was dealt with. The rooms in the hotel are very spacious by NYC standards and as this is an older hotel, the soundproofing is very good, you hear nothing from room to room. You do hear street noises through the night (sirens, horns) but this is NY so is to be expected. It may have been a bit noisier the week we were there as the UN was in session and the Pope was in town - so security was extremely tight. Breakfast is included and there is a really good selection - for us it was great as we like to start early and we didn't have to use time searching for a breakfast spot. You can eat inside or on a small outdoor patio. The location is perfect, a few blocks from Rockefeller Centre, Times Square, The UN Building and a couple of blocks from the subway. We arrived at JFK and took the Airtrain/Subway and only had to walk a couple of blocks to get to the hotel. Overall we were very impressed with the hotel the staff, the location and the easy going atmosphere of the hotel. We would definitely book this hotel again!
