Majestic Ponta Negra Beach

The majestic is a well run hotel, with comfortable and big rooms, nice bathroom, excellent air condition and wonderful breakfast. The only reason for not giving it full score is that the wifi does not operate properly on some floors. Mine was fine, but colleagues had issues with the wifi. So far this is the best hotel I visited in Ponta Negra, in some 15 years of returning every year.

Great boutique type of hotel, great location, easy to walk to shops, restaurants and dinners. Amazing service from staff and a good variety of food for breakfast. My family and I had a very good impression of the city and the hotel was a big part of ot. I highly recommend this hotel.

I totally enjoyed the stay in the hotel. The room was clean with charming classical style. The staffs were friendly and helpful. I had great time in the restaurant also, with proper advice to choose the dishes. The location of the hotel is nice for business use, because it is located in the town with many restaurant and shops, but has good access to the beach to have a relaxed time. One thing that can be improved for the hotel is the internet connection, especially in the room.

We're platinum member at Best Western and are usually very happy with the service. This hotel in Ponta Negra is said to be a 5* hotel, but is just a horrible place! The rooms are clean and the staff are mostly nice, but in our room we were not able to sleep because we could hear the people talk outside (and being on a principal road every car which passed). Also there was something broken in the bathroom, so that every time when someone switched the light on it was so noisy, that we thought the whole hotel was going to fall! We had to tell the reception twice and I had to demand for another room after we had 2 sleepless nights! Also we had booked a room for 4 people, which at check in we were told was not the case (thank God I had printed out the booking): in the room there were only towels for 2 people and also not enough shower gel etc. In the new room we had the same problem. In the end we got the stuff (new towels etc), but you had to ask for everything. The breakfast is Best Western quality, but I go to a hotel, because I need to sleep. So even the food being good, we will NEVER come back here, as it was a horrible experience.

Location is not at the beachfront , but if your looking for a superb breakfast buffet, clean rooms and upscale restaurant for a Friday night dinner this is the hotel. Super convenient location for local shops at same block , safe area and great friendly service.

We loved the location and look of this hotel! We went at a down time of the year and got a great deal on our room. The staff is extremely kind, courteous, and willing to help. My only complaint would be that the wifi was very weak and didn't reach the bedroom or balcony in our room. The breakfast was wonderful! Highly recommended.

I had the opportunity to vacation days ago in this beautiful hotel and I can say that has a great location, great rooms and food, clean rooms and comfortables, excellent staff attention. A good place to travel in family, a couple or alone :).

I loved loved loved most things about this hotel. The staff are amazing. The breakfast was amazing (especially the tapioca, as fluffy as a cloud). The rooms were welcoming, clean, beautifully decorated. I ordered room service a few times and it was quick, well priced, and delicious. Here are the things that annoyed me so much so that I can't give this hotel a five star rating: 1. the wifi kept dropping and when I complained they told me the issue was my phone (but it absolutely was not my phone nor my roommate's phone. Our wifi worked absolutely everywhere else except in this hotel). The issue resolved itself 2 days later, sorta. It just dropped less often. 2. they charge R 5.00 for pool towels which I find super petty. It's supposed to be a high end hotel, is it not? Give me a pool towel, for goodness sake! 3. the pool is super nice but really really tiny. 4. the shower and sink in the bathroom take FOREVER to drain and apparently it's on purpose. There is a sign in the bathroom saying they do this on purpose to conserve water and you should only turn the tap on halfway. What kind of nonsense is that? There was a rain shower head and I couldn't even enjoy it. It drained so slowly that I'd have to turn the water off between shampooing and conditioning or it would overflow. 5. it's a bit further from the beach than I would've preferred. We met two ladies who were robbed on the street (which is a pretty quiet street) from the hotel to the beach at 2:00 in the afternoon, broad daylight. I kinda wish the hotel offered a golf cart shuttle to the beach so you don't have to risk the walk on those quiet streets. Though I enjoyed my stay, for all of the above reasons, I'm really not sure if I'd stay here again.

Hotel has an excellent location, near of everything (beach, hotel convention, excellent restaurants, street food parks, handcraft shops, etc...)! The hotel is very pleasant and similar to an executive 5 stars. The breakfast is very taste but for celiac and lactose intolerants perhaps few options can be offered. Although I do enjoyed my time there, it was clear that they do not pay attention for details at all for an hotel for the category. I stayed almost 5 minutes waiting the waiter (that was in front of me) to observe that I could not start my breakfast without the tableware. Later they removed the saucer leaving the tea-cup with the saucer, and do not removed the plates that should be removed. In the room, the brown bed decoration should be washed because I observed food and beach sand.

I want to go back, unfortunately the rain disturbed my walks. I know there are wonderful places to meet in the city and to enjoy this hotel will be good ... Natal is a lovely city. I'm sure I'll be back someday.

We found this hotel to be well organized, very clean, and it is well situated in Natal. It is within walking distance of the beach, shopping, and excellent restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with waiters keeping things clean and fresh.

How a potentially perfect hotel misses the perfect rating: poor checking in and out efficiency, recurrent room issues (air conditionning, magnetic key not working), under-staffed for breakfast, etc... All elements that mitigate the excellent location and overall comfort of this hotel. Bitter taste...

The hotel is overall great . The location is very close to the beach, shopping center, drugstores, supermarkets and local shops.The lobby and the rooms are clean and the breakfeast is excellent. The swimming pool is small but cosy and the fitness center is good.

Great hotel, with good staff and service. Big bed. Clean bathroom, excellent location, diverse breakfast. Fast room service, large bedroom. little diversity of food in the restaurant. fair price , really enjoyed.

Great hotel with quiet rooms despite the central location. Great breakfast, friendly staff and everything very proffesional. The taxi service they use though is far from ok. Price from the hotell to the airport should be 80-100 real but We were charged 150 real because the driver had a rigged taximeter and basically robbed us on atleast 50 real. They should overlook the drivers they use or change taxi company.

Have had 2 separate visits to this hotel over the last couple of weeks. Both times our experience has been excellent. The reception staff were very friendly, showed a genuine interest in our recent travels, and remembered us from our previous visit - which was very nice. The rooms are extremely large and comfortable and (on both occasions) provided us with a great view over Ponta Negra beach. A luxurious hotel - particularly by Brazilian standards. The hotel is very well located - an easy walk to the beach (though not such an walk back due to a very steep hill). Lots of nice places to eat nearby.

We were a group of 4 and each one of us has taken the best of our stay. From the minute we checked in, the staff was ready to provide us with precise information on the destination including best places to be visited and to indicate a driver to take us everywhere. The hotel is highlighted by its structure, decoration and excelente and personal service.

Very good restaurant with a reasonable price, signed by an excellent chief, a very good breakfast, comfortable room, but they did not offer loccitan'e bath products like shown in pictures and did not brought new shampoo e soap after it finished, the internet is poor

Summing up in one word my experience with the Best Western Majestic: Fantastic. The decor is amazing, gorgeous. Rooms always clean and tidy, perfect lighting, large window and the bed and pillow super comfortable. Note 1000 !!!

Take cash and spend because the hotel is very good. Hotel expensive but worth it. Everything is very good. Even the beach towel is charged to the party, in compensation the rooms are wonderful and the breakfast unforgettable.

I had a hotel booking. I`ve got one e-mail from the hotel witch was (of course) portuguese, I called the hotel and suprisingly was nobody speaks English. I had to hold the line for about 5 mins, i was talking 3-4 different person, but en of the day i just hanged up. So after this i cancelled my hotel hotel booking straight away. I found a bit strange, if it is a 5 stars hotel, why nobody speaks english??? LOL

Nice rooms, good infrastrucutre, proper ocean view and very good breakfast buffet. Positive thing is the free parking under the hotel. Basicaly this hotel offered all we needed for our one night stay in Natal...

I`ve had an amazing experience at the hotel. Since my arrival, which was overnight to the check out, service was impeccable. The property has it all, the interior of the hotel is full of art and very classic, rooms are clean and comfortable, locations is great and my room had a beautiful view. The restaurant is a experience it self, with fine dining service and a very creative menu its one of the best options in the city. The hotel is a great choice for Business trip or vacation with the family, Ill definitely recommend it and will be staying there again. Congratulations to all the staff and the managers that make it happen with such ease.

We went 5 days in October. The breakfast is very good , a lot of choices. The swimming pool is small and also the gym. It's clean. The cost of a service is not justified by a low quality. It's very expensive.

Positive marks: location, decoration, hotel's restaurant and hotel attendance. Negative marks: elevator (only works with room card) and beach towel rent. Resume: My experience in this hotel was awesome, I loved and I'd to go again.

This is a very good hotel. The best for me is the breakfast. Wifi works ok, sometimes is slow (not a good thing for this kind of hotel). Service is excellent. It has a very good location in Ponta Negra.

Very nice hotel, well decorated, very well located near the best restaurants and best handicraft stores and fairs. Breakfast is also very good with a lot of options. Staff is friendly, cleanliness is excellent, very comfortable beds.

I revisited this hotel twice last month, over one year and a half since my last review, and it continues to be a fantastic hotel, just like new, clean, comfortable, fantastic breakfast, friendly and efficient service. Wifi works perfectly. Best cost-benefit of Natal. Do not know why it has been listed as 3 and half star, since it is better that many 4 star hotels I have stayed in. Well located at the Ponta Negra beach suburb, near several restaurants, including two of the famous Camarões Restaurants.

If your trip to Natal is for business, please do not use this hotel unless you are obligated to do so by Corporate agreement as it was my case. The internet connection and speed is very low or inexistent.

Wonderful, comfy hotel. Worth every cent!! Delicious breakfeast, close to the beach and city center, service was great at all times, the room was spacious and comfortable, dinner was delicious with great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I am statying at the room 205 called Nisia Floresta suite. The Wi-Fi coverage in the room is almost non-existent. The signal is pretty low. My iPhone couldn't even find the network. I was able to connect only using my notebook and run the speed test several times. The download speed varies between 300Kbps and 700Kbps and the upload speed varies between 90Kbps and 300Kbps. Back to the dial-up times of the Internet.

This hotel is amazing! Very comfortable, decor is beautiful and really cozy! Staff is also really nice. Breakfast is really good, so many options in the buffet! Location couldn't be better, in front of the beach and a few steps from lots of good restaurants!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't express enough how great this 4-days vacation getaway has been. It was just enough days to quench my thirst. HOTEL: Best Western Majestic 4-5* BEACHES: Try them all! So many! ACTIVITIES: take the buggy cars. They are most fun and you will enjoy a lot more than the travel bus. Go to the dunas. Go to both ends of the area... Like Praia PIPA and CORAÇÃO. GUIDE: my man "BATISTA" he was so awesome! Laid back and fun. We did both trips with him. Each trip is about 7 hrs, but it will go so fast! Take this trip. You will not regret!

Stay for 2 nights. Good location, central to Ponta Negra restaurants, bars, banks, etc. Less than 1Km, easy walking downhill by road and street stairs from main Ponta Negra beach. Cozy almost familiar Hotel in very good overall conditions, clean and silent for the guests. The decoration(classic a little out dated) can be less popular, but it works in providing some class, charm and sophistication to the place for most people.Very good quality and varied breakfast in nice dinning room. The room has everything needed for a good stay and good quality sleeping: good size TV, fridge,safe,hair drier,minibar,24 room service, free wifi,good comfy bed with good matress and nice selection of pillows. Small pool(more like a very big jacuzzi) and basic fitness room. Chill out area and good quality Hotel restaurant. I had a lovely stay, would stay again if I ever return to Natal.

We had a very pleasant experience during our stay. Rooms are new, nicely decorated and very clean. Location is good, close to restaurants and a short stroll to the beach. The hotel has a small pool, but we enjoyed using, it was only the two of us when we were there. Breakfast has a good variety. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Incredible interior decoration... gold framed mirrors and archival photos in rooms, enameled ceramics, magnificently upholstered chairs in lobby and restaurant. Rooms spacious, clean, great bathrooms with modern showers, AC, TV, WiFi. Breakfast buffet included - excellent quality, excellent selection Incredible restaurant - top quality French cuisine, excellent prices. Excellent service - efficient, with a smile. Nice location - short walk to great beach, plenty of restaurants and stores very close.

We were a family/friends of 7 persons on holidays to Brazil for a special occasion. had booked several nights here, 3 rooms. check in went fine. Our room was fine and we were very pleased by the cleaning personel who did a good jobb. the problem stared on our first morning. We woke up to loud music on the corridor. We couldnt get back to sleep so got up and down to breakfast. The volume of the music as we opened our door was ridiculous. Even in the lift the music was blaring........and I ask, whats the point? Breakfast was fine but only 1 person at the eggstation isnt enough and he didnt have a word of english. after many frustrating minutes a guest helped translate our wish for 2 fried eggs..... This happened every morning x 5! Our second night we were woken up around 3 am to terrible noise coming from the room besiden us, sounded like furniture being thrown around, things been broken, a massive fight with screaming men.....my husband called reception and asked for help. Luckily whatever the security did, it as quiet the rest of that night. The night after that there was more commotion so not much sleep either... We decided to complain at reception to be met by shrugg of the shoulders and she could move us to another room! I suggested they move the disruptive person instead as he was the problem, not us. Found her attitude very condescending. As i wrote in the start, we were 7 persons in 3 rooms. The others, in a different room, had no airconditioning and rang reception the first night as the heat was 27 degrees in the room, nothing was done. Next day they complained again and were told it was working now.....so next night, no aircon then either. They rang reception and someone in a deep sleep answered he would come up to fix it. They waited, rang again, he never turned up... As we were in Brazil for a special occasion, my husband booked a table at the hotels restaurant for 1830 hrs. Half of our party were flying out that night therefore it was handy to eat, celebrate and end our holiday with this meal. ALAS........ our booking was nowhere to be found as well as the restaurant didnt open until 1900 hrs...The booking list was full and our name was not on it. So we ended up in a small place close to the hotel but it ruined our last evening. At check out, our bills had items on it that were not ours so they were deleted. The lady, the same one we have dealt with before, was very rude and practically threw our bill at us. I really dont think foreigners are welcome here! To be charged for beachtowels is also something new to me. all borrowed towels were returned everyday and signed for. Never experienced that before in a so called 5 star hotel! We would NEVER stay here again.

For me, the place just lacks a little humanity and warmth, it's corporate and professional, not personable. Restaurant staff well trained but food is not all that. The decor is very confusing. I will not got back to this hotel.

Good hotel, with very kind professionals, comfortable and clean room, and perfect breakfast. The location is very good also, near the beach and with a lot of restaurants near too. Definitively, I recommend it.

Pros: (1) Great rooms, very clean and cosy; looks like they were recently renovated; (2) Beautiful view (if you get a front sea room); (3) Well located; (4) Nice service; Cons: (1) Sometimes I felt like the decoration was too much fake and exaggerated; (2) Although breakfast was great, It lacked a larger variety of healthy options. (3) The pool was definitely the lowest point... Too small, with no view and nothing to do.

I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, some of the staff were wonderful and really went above and beyond to help us. When they couldn't provide a service, they were quick to suggest an alternative. The hotel is clean and located on the main avenue, with quick access to restaurants and shops. Some of the negatives are: we couldn't exchange money to local currency at the hotel, they do not have an ATM machine, other staff members seemed irritated when we asked for help and the beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. (views are still nice if you're on a high floor and have ocean front). Natal itself seemed like it's about 60 years behind the times, but there are beautiful things to see and do here. (beaches and dune buggy rides).

I have stayed in this Hotel since 2012 and in my opinon it is definitely the best option in Natal for Business purpose and for turism as well. I can mention the cordiality of the staff, the quality of the Restaurant, the room cleanliness and the good and the fancy environment. I have been indicated this location to all my collegues and friends.

We had a perfect stay. The Magestic is an impecable hotel filled with remarkable details and excellent hospitability. Upon arrival we were upgraded free from charge to an ocean suite. Truely perfect.!

Best hotel in Natal. Location is very convenient, close to the beach and to markets, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are very well furnished, but, maybe, a bit small for 3 or more people. Beds are not full-size queen, so a couple would stay a bit tight. Apart this, the rest is perfect. Breackfast is also great, with quality and style

Located at Ponta Negra, next to the beaches, markets, bars and restaurants (include Tábua de Carne, another must go restaurant in Natal). Everyone who works in this hotel was super courteous and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I ever had in a hotel. I forgot my facial cleaner in the bathroom, called them one day after I checked out, they found it for me and I got it back another day later.
