"Not worth the price of brand name motel/ hotel chain."
Audrey G, 14 Avril 2024

Not the best westerns we are used to ... electronic check in - desk clerk lady was in the Philippines !!! Very nice and somewhat easy to check in . Double queen beds in large room was very dated from the carpet to decor. Everything had a musty smell. Air conditioning was in alcove to bathroom so air never circulated and fan was loud when it went on. Bathroom still had heat light. Towel had black streak on it that rubbed off. Breakfast was typical - reheated eggs, pancakes and sausages in microwave. Not satisfying for the price we paid.

"Fake Best Western"
mybluefroggy, 27 Février 2024

It's more like a motel 6 than your normal Best Western. The room and bathroom are extremely small with poor lighting. That's on top of a barely working controllable A/C unit. Breakfast was terrible due to hot food being cold and cold food being hot. (I went to breakfast as soon as it started) I wouldn't recommend staying unless you're only there to sleep. At least the TV had I think 30 or 40 channels and the Internet was good enough to be in a video call. The check in was through a Kiosk with a video call.

"Best Western quality & services declining"
3nails4me, 09 Février 2024

When you check in during the evening, there is no one in the lobby. You will hear a voice on a small screen behind you. This is the virtual person from California who checks you in & 2 key cards will spit out from a machine below the screen. My wife and I needed a place locally to eat. I asked the virtual girl in California - no help, but she said we could dial 0 on the phone & someone there could probably help us. Our room was very close. It looked as if it had been recently renovated, very nice paint, & new carpet. The room & bathroom were very small (reminding me of Motel 6 rooms I stayed in as a young person). The phone had no dial tone & would not work. The breakfast was adequate the next morning (hot & cold choices). I did not think Best Western would associate their name with a subpar hotel facility. [I will have to do more than just look at the first 5 or 6 reviews next time I consider staying in a Best Western hotel.]

"Clean, easy check in, great water presssure"
Jessicarick401, 07 Janvier 2024

Needed a warm place to sleep for a quick stop on our road trip. Checkin was very easy, even after midnight. The room was extremely clean, cozy, and the shower pressure was excellent. Express checkout allowed us to hit the road early without any delays.

"Clean, quiet, comfortable"
aktrav1, 14 Décembre 2023

After reading reviews from some of the other hotels in the area, decided to spend a few extra $ and stay Best Western. Was worth it - drive right up to your door, room was large, warm (winter trip), clean and well furnished. Included microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and comfortable beds. Also quiet and had a good night's rest! Pet friendly and space behind buildings to take your dog for a normal walk. Would stay here again!

"Surprisingly good"
Bonnie S, 24 Novembre 2023

Very impressed with the retro looking drive-up style motel... rooms updated and very clean. Worked great with a dog to have a direct entry room. Breakfast was well stocked with a good variety of hot & continental items. I'd stay again...

"Tired, hungry, ready to rest."
rodeomax, 30 Octobre 2023

Nice, clean, in a great location. I was tired, hungry, ready for a beer. The front desk pointed me in the right direction. Slept like a rock. Breakfast was good. Definitely set me up for the next day. Seems like a cool town. Wish I had more time.

"Comfortable Safe Place to Stay"
John P, 05 Octobre 2023

On our way to Montana from Michigan and found this location and hotel at the end of a traveling day and was very happy to find a safe comfortable room was available as well as a warm welcoming staff. A good nights sleep and a small warm breakfast helped make the trip fun.

"Thanks for taking good care of us"
Colleen F, 26 Septembre 2023

Clean, convenient and safe place to stay. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We had our new dog with us and they helped us make her comfortable also. There is not much out in this area to choose from and we feel grateful to have chosen this hotel.

"Nice, old-fashioned motel in Murdo, SD"
IrritatedPete, 24 Septembre 2023

We were driving across South Dakota and needed a place to stay. We prefer Best Westerns and were pleased to see one in Murdo advertised on the highway. It's an old-fashioned single story motel and our single queen room was very small. However, it was clean and comfortable. The staff at both check in and in the morning were very warm and authentic. We felt they appreciated us staying there. Lots of people were staying there but we didn't feel crowded at all. We would certainly stay there again. The only reason for a 4 rating instead of a 5 was the room felt pricey for being so small and in Murdo ... but I don't think there's a comparable property within an hour to the east or west.

"Great stop for family of six!"
mikeandmoe, 15 Août 2023

Great stop on our road trip from Oregon to Tennessee. We were traveling with our family of 6 (four kids) and this place had a room with three queens! So rare! Older place, but clean & nice. Breakfast was bleh, but otherwise great!! Would definitely stay again.

"Vacation"
ksgraham969, 14 Août 2023

Great service, friendly people, we would stay there again. Great location, close to restaurants, the rooms were clean, it was very quiet, had some good conversations with some other guests. Loved it, would stay again

"Bozeman Trip"
David T, 06 Août 2023

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I stayed here in May when I took my son to MSU for a summer internship in their physics lab. I liked it so much that we stayed here on our return trip to Pennsylvania.

"Best Hidden Gem in South Dakota"
andrewrE4272VD, 22 Juillet 2023

Murdo, South Dakotat is a small un-assuming town virtually in the middle of nowhere. Yet hidden in this town is a lovely, quality motel that well exceeded our expectations for our one night stay. The room was spacious with all the amenities we required. The staff were friendly and more than helpful, providing us with valuable advice and service on our trip. We were only using this motel for one night as a stopping point before heading to Badlands National Park. In the future, though, if we were going to explore Badlands for more than one day, we would rather use Best Western Graham's as a base than find a property in Rapid City.

"Not Worth the Price!"
Marykay C, 16 Juillet 2023

For being the most expensive Best Western we stayed at during a 5 day road trip, we were disappointed. The wifi did not extend to our part of the building and there were flies everywhere in our room. The drape would not stay closed in our room and since all the rooms are on one level we had to get created to get it closed. However, the front staff was pleasant and the room was clean.

"Old school wonderful hotel!"
Lakegirlindianapolis, 10 Juillet 2023

We really enjoyed Grahams. The receptionist stayed late for us to check in which was so nice. There was room to park our trailer. The above ground pool looked really nice. The 2 Queen room was HUGE, and the beds were very comfy. Nice bathroom. Plenty of room for 4. You could add more kids in air mattresses. Plenty of room for 4 more. Friendly staff. Breakfast was small and just ok.

"Stay here if you are in the area"
NorthBayVisitor, 06 Juillet 2023

My sister and I stayed here on our cross country drive. Excellent stop. Very friendly reception and attentive GM. Motel is clean and rooms were large with all the amenities you need. Beds were very comfortable. One thing I loved was they had 2 luggage racks in the room. Great touch! Breakfast was good, nice room just beside very attractive reception area. Recommend staying here if you are in the area.

"Excellent customer service and clean hotel"
ChrisCgeo, 02 Juin 2023

We reserved a room last minute and Nadine was incredible. She was so kind and helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and there's free breakfast. Loved that we could drive up to our room. There's a pool as well, but we didn't have time to use it.

"Happy travelers"
jeanniepanit, 01 Juin 2023

Don't let the size of this Best Western fool you. It was one of the cleanest and more comfortable rooms we've stayed in. The ice machine could have been a little closer but that was still ok. The person at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating with information on places to eat.

"DO NOT STAY AT BEST WESTERN GRAHAM'S MURDO SOUTH DAKOTA"
Regina L, 17 Janvier 2023

I paid $141.69 which included a pet fee since we were traveling with our small dog. Since we had a pet, we were given a pet friendly room with double beds. The room was old, dark, smelled unpleasant, and was a lot smaller than any other hotel we stayed in during our trip. For reference, we stayed in 6 hotels during our trip. We had neighbors on both sides and could hear everything. Not sure why they booked everyone right next to each other since the noise carried over. Our next door neighbors arrived when we were trying to sleep and played music we could hear very well. The heating system was very noisy and the room was small and everything was old. The only beverage option available upon arrival was coffee and there was no hot water available to make tea or room temperature water. The internet did not work and the rate for the room was astronomical compared to Comfort Inn (Rawlins, WY) that we stayed in the night before- $118.51 for 2 queen beds, pet fee, much bigger and WAY better room, lots of amenities (fitness room, pool + Jacuzzi, washer and dryer, refreshing lemon water available 24/7, freshly baked cookies at the front desk, customer service was excellent- staff was very attentive). Range County Lodging across the street (not sure how I overlooked this place) does not charge for pets, there is an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, and the breakfast menu and rooms look much better! DO NOT BOOK WITH BEST WESTERN GRAMHAM'S! I also stayed in Best Western in Beaver which was better but overall Best Western does not perform well compared to all the other options out there based on price, amenities, and overall experience.

"Great stay!!"
FellowTraveler696520, 23 Décembre 2022

We didn't plan on stopping in Murdo, but we were stuck in a winter storm and couldn't drive any farther. We spent 2 days here waiting for the storm to lift. The motel has definitely been around awhile, but we were pleasantly surprised at the updated rooms. Our room was comfortable and extremely clean. The pillows reminded me of the Hilton's awesome pillows. The sweet woman running the front desk and breakfast was so nice. Breakfast was good. We'd definitely stay here again!

"Loved it!"
Cassondra W, 10 Décembre 2022

It was like staying in a motel when I was kid, but updated just enough to be comfortable! Loved the town and the people were super nice! It was a relaxing stay. There was snow on the ground, and it was quiet and peaceful. I could live in that town.

"It was okay"
jjsim3000, 21 Novembre 2022

Old motel, had to walk in the cold to main office. Small rooms. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. A good place to sleep with the dog, nothing special. Requested queen bed, got 2 doubles. Probably would not stay here again, although there isn't much in murdo.

"slbmo"
sherrilynnmo, 26 Octobre 2022

The accommodations at this motel were very nice. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The only negative was the tight space on wall side of beds where there was only about 12-14" of space and no table / shelf to place glasses, cell phone, etc. The breakfast was tasty which filled us up for a full morning of traveling.

"Best in class for customer service"
laurieg2322, 18 Octobre 2022

This Best Western branded motel is pretty good. I have stayed here 3 times in the last year with two of those stays in a pet friendly room. The pet rooms were just as good as the regular room. Didn't try the Wi-Fi, pool is seasonal. The breakfast was good but the best thing about this place is the customer service. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful I just love it. On one of my stays my granddaughter and I were in a hurry to leave early so we were going to skip breakfast. When my granddaughter went to leave the keys the ladies there actually made us some breakfast to go. Awesome!! The only issue might be the big trucks parked in the parking lot that might be kept running. Didn't bother me but might bother some people. Not a reflection on the motel but there aren't many food options.

"Great Stay"
MammaMoose, 05 Octobre 2022

We weren't sure how this motel would be but we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and done nicely. They were small, but that didn't matter to us. The bed was comfortable. We liked being able to pull up and be right by our room. We sat outside our door in our lawn chairs and enjoyed being outside there. We would definitely stay here again when passing through to the Black Hills like we were.

"Horrible"
O9007OAbarbr, 28 Septembre 2022

Very pleasant female at the front desk, but that was the end of positive things. The room and the lobby were both very musty smelling. The smell was almost overbearing. The bathroom was the tiniest, most cramped bathroom I have ever been in....seriously, if you weigh 200 pounds or more, there is no way you will fit in the bathroom. The bathroom sink, which for some reason is outside the bathroom, was so low that it was terribly uncomfortable to try to use. There was only 1 restaurant in town that was open (we were told this when we checked in), and I use the term "restaurant" loosely here, because it was more of a "dairy queen/cafe" type thing. Luckily, they actually had good food and nice staff. Overall, horrible. I would NOT stay here. The price is ridiculous for these accommodations.

"Simple motel, great stay!"
arrdee2014, 13 Septembre 2022

Stayed overnight on our roadtrip. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only negative was that the bathroom was a little small but definitely not a deal breaker. Would stay here again!

"Great simple place."
daninstlouis, 05 Septembre 2022

I loved pulling up right to my door. The room was clean and well done. The person at the front desk was there when I checked in and when I went for breakfast in the morning. She was extremely helpful and pleasant.

"Do not stay here"
nicksapps1, 13 Août 2022

The lady at the front desk, was very sweet and helpful - that was the extent of good things during our stay. She was battling a fly during the check-in process, and this would turn out to be how our entire night was spent. When we walked in the room, we were greeted by no less than 40 flies and a dingy room. We went to the pizza place across the street across the street (recommended if you're unlucky enough to stay here) and when we came back with food there were somehow more flies. This, after I had killed as many as I could with a towel before we left to grab food. This made our dinner pretty annoying to eat, and made sleep impossible. We were tossing and turning all night because of the flies landing on us. When we woke up in the morning, because of the tossing and turning, my sheets had come off of the bed revealing what looked to be large blood stains on the mattress. I will provide pictures if/when this review is responded to. This room (140, I think) was absolutely disgusting. Around 9:30, we got a knock on the door. Housekeeping. Why? Check-out is 11. We didn't get any sleep, but if we had we'd still be asleep...why were they knocking on our door at 9:30? As we were loading our car, we had the door open to move bags, and the housekeeper just walks in. He was nice about it, and apologized, but I just don't understand the rush to get in there as we were well before the check-out time and obviously still present. Once we had the car loaded, we left the door open because he was clearly eager to clean that room. While we were still in our car about to back out, he walked into the room, laughed, and then walked next door to tell the female housekeeper something. He then walked back into our room still laughing. We can only imagine he was saying "hahahah, they found the blood stains", or something of that nature. Maybe we read into that too much, but given the night we just had that was the mindset we were in. We have stayed at Best Western hotels before on many occasions and had great experiences, however, this stay has assured that we will never spend our money there again. This room was nasty, overpriced (even if it happened to be clean), and the Wi-Fi was nonexistent - as if we were concerned about Wi-Fi at this point. We left without eating breakfast, so the silver lining here is that there's nothing bad to say about that. The lady at the front desk was the only good thing about this place.

"Passing through"
Lgerbig3152, 30 Juillet 2022

We were traveling through and booked this prior to our trip. When we pulled in we questioned our choice, however Arlene was fantastic, our room was clean and the breakfast was perfect. Will definitely go back!! Thanks again to the staff for making our short stay wonderful!

"Too many $$$"
Dean K, 20 Juillet 2022

This property was fine. The Room was clean. The front desk lady was helpful. But, the price was outrageous compared to what we had been paying for similar properties on the trip. It was well over $200.

"Marvelous Murdo"
JS-fromVT, 15 Juillet 2022

We were 2 days into a 3 day drive. Just wanted to grab a bite to eat and settle in. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. (Should check out the Rusty Spur for and awesome burger.) We were traveling with pets. Had an already for them to walk but the town is awesome to walk. Check out the car museum while there. We will be back with out a doubt.

"Loved the dog friendly room"
K9erthlvr, 27 Juin 2022

Yes, this is an older motel but it the rooms and area were clean. Great for dogs because you can walk right out to the parking area and many places to walk dogs. Behind building is grassy area with poop bags. The temperature was 100 so the pool was refreshing and very clean. Customers very friendly. Breakfast unbelievable with hot food such as pancakes and cold foods such as cereal. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Felt safe. Would definitely stay again. Beds very comfortable and despite being full vacancy our room was quiet. The not so good: air conditioner was set back from the main sleeping room but did cool the room and worked perfectly. The toilet and bath/shower cramped. Not able to open the window.

"Spendy"
emilyvonwald, 26 Juin 2022

Hotel wasn't the cleanest but the location was great. Very overpriced for a motel with an outside pool! The two double bed room was very little but worked when all we needed to do was sleep. Just spendy.

"Never Again Best Western Murdo"
O4475WGbenjamine, 20 Juin 2022

1. Stains on sheets 2. No sheets for fold out had to use our own 3. Dirty Pool 4. Safety pin embedded on floor, one of us stepped on the sharp end. 5. Coverlets soiled, not clean 6. Ashtray rigjt outside our non smoking room 7. Side walk to room dirty, not swept for some time 8. Fresh and old dog poop outside window in back of hotel. 9. High weeds/grass in back of hotel. Fire hazard. 10. Food, not the best but ok. It does not scream that they care about your health. 11. The food prep person was polite and professional. 12. We booked 7 people, paid for 7. Only 4 bath towels. 13. Hair on sheets. When bringing this to front desk all I received was a shallow ‘sorry'. When providing feed back via email which is generated after a stay I received and auto generated response. I get the feeling my feed back was not read or taken to heart. Don't stay here!!

"Great stay"
53wendig, 17 Juin 2022

Rooms were clean. Very kind staff. They even had some gluten free options and almond milk for breakfast! It had been a week since I got to eat breakfast at a hotel. This was a good find while in Murdo.

"Great family stop for travelers."
JBBTraveler, 08 Juin 2022

Clean and quiet. The absolute nicest staff welcomed us. The breakfast was great. More options than we expected. I would definitely stay here again. One family had the triple queen room which is perfect for families. My husband and I had a king bed.

"The best hotel in Murdo"
Journey45673106605, 31 Mai 2022

The room was big enough to handle two people. I drove from NY state to Gardiner, Montana to visit Yellowstone National Park, and this was the second stop. Didn't expect in Murdo there was such a good hotel. Murdo is a small town, and it was quiet and peaceful. This hotel was clean and well organized. The staffs were friendly to us. The price was a bit high, but totally acceptable considering the service and room spaces.

"Best hotel in Murdo"
ebell432, 29 Mai 2022

If traveling across South Dakota and a family of 6, you MUST stay at the Best Western in Murdo. They actually have rooms to accommodate our family- 3 queen sized beds and plenty of space in between. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

"Everything you need for a night of sleep before heading out in the morning"
Susan T, 13 Mai 2022

Made an overnight stop here before heading to The Badlands the next morning. The woman who checked us in was very friendly & gave us tips for our visit to The Badlands the next morning. The room was simple, but clean. Breakfast was adequate to head out on the road.

"Nice Stay - good value, clean, pleasant staff"
Chapsbaby, 05 Avril 2022

Stayed at Best Western Graham's during the last leg of our 12 day South Dakota summer vacation. Murdo is a very small town and as we were driving in, was a bit apprehensive as it reminded us very much of the Pixar movie, Cars. However, as soon as we checked in, we knew we had made the right lodging booking. The hotel staff was very friendly and our room was very clean. The receptionist provided us with an excellent recommendation for dinner. It was extremely hot out that day - in the high 90s, however, the room's air conditioner kept the room very cool. The free breakfast spread the following morning was one of the free best breakfasts we had during our entire 12 days in South Dakota.

"Squeaky clean."
anneQ3030PG, 28 Mars 2022

Squeaky Clean. Super helpful staff. Upon arrival first impression was great lobby and guest checkin was beyond clean along with the room. Staff very helpful. If in the area and want a clean quiet room this is the place for you. Give them a call and pet friendly too!

"Great value"
Wesley B, 01 Janvier 2022

Pleasantly surprised, cute room, comfortable with everything we needed for a one night stay. Temperature outside was 1 degree F and inside toasty warm. pretty decent pizza restuarant nearby. Great value for the dollar.

"Nice hotel "
Sconnie_Pat, 31 Décembre 2021

Enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were wonderful. The hotel is the old style motor lodge where you drive up to the door to your room. The breakfast was decent. I would definitely stay here again.

"Hunter freindly"
Rdockery, 07 Décembre 2021

We have stayed at the Best Western in Murdo, SD for years during pheasant season. The front desk and breakfast staff are always friendly and upbeat. Our hunting dog is allowed in the room. The breakfast is very good with plenty of food and good coffee. Rooms are clean and beds are great.

"BW Murdo"
LancasterPATraveler, 15 Novembre 2021

When I first saw this motel online, I expected the worst. It seemed like an old fashioned "no-tell motel" sort of thing. I could not have been more wrong. The lady at the front desk who checked us in was pleasant and helpful. The property was clean and comfortable. The town of Murdo had a nice small town America comfortable feel. Our room was bigger than expected, plenty of bathroom space, clean and comfortable, and almost everything in the room was new and functional!

"Hunting trip"
markfolkedahl, 25 Octobre 2021

Best hotel in Murdo. Nadine is a peach. As the general manager she goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay from arranging fo early check in to grouping our rooms together. We stay for a 3 day weekend every year for the last 11 years and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend this hotel.

"Retro motel"
elizabethtutko, 12 Octobre 2021

Normally I read reveiws before booking but glance at trip advisor that has it rated highly so just beware of that. Again, we had our pet with us and there was an odor of musk or something that had we not been exhausted we would of made a fuss but we were wore out from traveling. It did for the night and a plus was the beds were surprisingly comfortable which was nice. The lady at check out was nice and welcoming and yes, it is in a small town but it work for the night. Definitely need to add that it is a retro motel as to not be super shocked like we were, but we rolled with it.

"nice, quiet and safe"
twotravelers319, 07 Octobre 2021

This motel is an older one, but well kept with all good working amenities like refrigerator, microwave and coffee. The temperature was easily controlled and the beds were very comfortable. What more could you ask for?

"Loves this hotel"
Jah938, 01 Octobre 2021

A true joy in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't be happier with everything there. Plan on making it one of our cross country stops for now on. The staff knows the area and was directed is to a amazing pizza restaurant nearby.

"Do not waste your money"
unhappycouplesep2021, 30 Septembre 2021

Last minute decision to stop here. Other hotels were small town so we thought we would stick with a Brand Name! Big mistake! The room was dark. Went into bathroom area and the mirror looked like someone spit toothpaste all over it and hadn't been cleaned. Went into toilet area and the seat had a pubic hair on it and urine in the toilet. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Wonderful Adventure"
Passport33755401804, 16 Septembre 2021

This was a stop traveling to Glacier. Not a lot of services around the area, but this Best Western was clean, comfortable, and provided a nice complimentary breakfast. Staff were friendly and made you feel welcome.

"Warning Extreme Small Rooms"
Happyfamilyofsix, 07 Septembre 2021

Used to be a 60's road side motel; now named a Best Western... Rooms around 175-200 sq ft; Tiny rooms for tiny people? They should make 1 room from 2. Kind staff, clean room with older furniture. Breakfast was ok; We had an ok-stay; just the rooms very, very small...........

"Headed home"
Ray B, 29 Août 2021

Murdo did not have a lot of open places to eat, but did find a local restaurant that provided a good meal. Our room had some issues with aroma, bathtub drain, and blow dryer mount. The desk person and the breakfast server were very gracious and the breakfast items were ample and good.

"Nice Place to Stay"
Beijing02, 20 Août 2021

We stayed here twice on our trip to and from Oregon. This is a nice place. Clean and quite. The staff was very nice and helpful. They have a heated pool that so relaxing. The hotel is all one level so you don't have to walk far from your vehicles with luggage. They also have a nice picnic area under the shade trees.

"Very Friendly Place"
Luke B, 16 Août 2021

We stayed at this hotel on our way home from a road trip to Montana and the Northern Rockies. We needed a place to sleep for the night after spending some time at Badlands National Park. The hotel is clean, and the two staff members I talked to were genuinely friendly people. We got in late, and when I went to the desk to check in, the lady said that she was just considering calling me to make sure things were going as planned and that we hadn't had car trouble or something. I thought that was extremely nice of her. The room was basic and clean, but did have a sizable mini fridge. My only critique is the same as lots of other hotels/motels: the A/C units are incredibly loud, and the room doesn't seem to block out exterior noises very well. I didn't try the swimming pool or any of the other amenities. If you can figure out how to make a quiet A/C unit and insulate a hotel room from mechanical and people noise, I'll never stay anywhere else.

"Motel that treats you like family"
dasymay562021, 09 Août 2021

We were on our way to Sturgis SD and I twisted my foot and was in a lot of pain. We stayed at Graham Best Western so I could rest up. The staff went above and beyond to help me to be comfortable. They provided a ice pack, found a cane to help me get around, and even was able to loan me a boot for my swollen foot. Of all the motels I have stayed at none have ever done this much to make sure I had a enjoyable experience.

"So welcoming"
Amy K, 07 Août 2021

The staff were so welcoming and gave suggestions on place to eat. They kept the dinning area super clean for breakfast. Acknowledged you everytime you walked in the office area!!! The out door pool was well kept and cleaned, he was cleaning it in the morning before we left again!!!! Don't let that it is a little old scare you away from staying here. It was so relaxing!!!

"Awesome staff!"
tammyk134, 07 Août 2021

While it is an older BW it is very neat and clean. The staff are exceptional! The gal at the front desk when we checked in was super friendly and gave us great ideas for dinner. When we went in for breakfast in the morning we couldn't believe how friendly everyone was. And the gal doing the continental breakfast was amazing....never once did a dirty table just sit there and she filled everything quickly. We would ighly recommend this hotel!

"Love this little town"
triciaorpaulb, 06 Août 2021

Everyone was so friendly in Murdo including the hotel staff. It made us feel like we were at home. The motel style room was clean and comfy. Having a frig in the room was convenient as was having the bathroom sink separate from the shower. We enjoyed the spacious outdoor pool for a while in the afternoon with our teenage sons. There were places to eat dinner at nearby and complimentary breakfast in the morning. It was nice that warm breakfast choices were available. The biscuits & gravey were so tasty. Staying in Murdo was great for getting to the Badlands to hike before the day heated up. I will visit Murdo again in the future thanks be to this friendly little community!

"I Loved the Shower!"
L1351EXjasonr, 01 Août 2021

The shower, alone, made this a great stay! It has a truly articulating shower head and GREAT PRESSURE! The beds and pillows are comfortable, and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was your typical continental with some hot items (eggs, biscuits, and sausage the day I was there). The outdoor pool is nice. Great staff!

"Best thing was the breakfast lady"
Kirk H, 31 Juillet 2021

This is a pretty standard motor inn. Park in front of your room, swimming pool in the center. The room was fine, dated, but clean. In the morning breakfast was served in the lobby area. The lady running the breakfast area was SUPER friendly and helpful and so hospitable. I was sorry I had no cash, or I would have left her a big tip. She made our stay!

"Best Choice For The Area"
YooperChix6, 31 Juillet 2021

Well kept property, room was very comfortable. Our breakfast was the best of our trip ;) The staff is so kind and helpful. The night we stayed there it rained so the pool was cold. I settled on a nice hot bath in our room! This was the most expensive stay from our trip to South Dakota. Management wants to retain the good employees! So difficult to find good help.

"Clean but needs updating"
dakramp1978, 24 Juillet 2021

I will recommend this motel based on it being the best one in Murdo, S.D. It was more than halfway for our trip to Rapid City and just made sense with 3 kids. Very dated exterior as you park in front of your room. Thankfully there were no tour busses the night we stayed because that would have been extremely loud. Room was clean but not fresh smelling and AC unit was quite loud. Double beds felt very small and should be updated to queen size. Price was higher than we paid for a Best Western Plus in Rapid City.

"Extremely dirty bathroom"
Frisbee_0905, 21 Juillet 2021

The room itself wasn't bad but I have never seen a dirtier bathroom in any place that I have had to pay to stay. The sink was full of hair, the bathtub had lots of hair and the toilet had dried urine stains and pubic hair all over it. Disgusting!

"Very nice"
tanyaL4263, 20 Juillet 2021

Very nice, and friendly stuff. Rooms are clean and spacious and well maintained. Having hot Breakfast is a huge part of our choice in a hotel. They also have a playground and pool. We have a 2year old, so those things are very helpful when you been on a road and don't want to go back I a car to drive to the park. I wish More hotels would have that option.

"A pleasant retro surprise"
Tom H, 19 Juillet 2021

This was a little place off of I 90 at Murdo, South Dakota. Small rooms and tiny bathroom. Must have been an old motel at one point. One level and park at the door. Very clean. Good staff. Nice outdoor pool which we did not use. Very nice dining staff constantly keeping everything clean and stocked. Who needs a big room when all you want to do is sleep. Picnic table outside under the trees. A couple of places nearby to eat. Even had a window in the bathroom. Old style. Would go there again.

"Best Western is always a solid value"
PeterDanielsDenver, 28 Juin 2021

As per usual, I found another best Western experience to be solid and enjoyable. Good room, good beds at a nice price. Sage, who checked us in, was amazing. She knew who I was as I walked in the door. Totally pro - like what I would expect at a high end hotel. Honestly, unless I'm looking for a fancy place for more of a date weekend, I generally look for a best Western first.

"Average Motel/Decent breakfast"
50ishtraveler, 26 Juin 2021

Pros: Check-in was very pleasant. Rooms were clean. Bed and pillows were good. Breakfast was decent - yogurt, oranges and apples, microwaved eggs and sausages - have gravy. Cons: Room a little smelly, air unit terrible noisy - had to turn off and then got stuffy in the night. The biggest complaint: This not a 24-hour office. We did not know the office closes at 11 p.m. we got delayed and made it by 10 minutes. I did not ask what would happen if we had not made it in time. Think they should emphasize this fact. We did not use the small outdoor pool.

"Clean rooms"
Guide09460760695, 20 Juin 2021

We had 2 rooms for our family of 6. Both rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable but one of the rooms didn't have any soap in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. The lady working at the front desk was super friendly and helpful.

"Ok for one night"
Charcoal801, 15 Juin 2021

Room is quite small. The bathroom is very small but ok for one night. There're not much amenities around the hotel so it's better to arrive after having dinner. The free hot breakfast was really good. Nadine at the front desk and the other lady were super nice.

"Good stay"
Elizabeth147_88, 07 Juin 2021

CLEAN rooms, great breakfast ( biscuits and gravy was really good), and friendly/helpful staff. Well maintained for a older hotel. Did not have any noise issues that bothered us as noted in other reviews. First hotel we had seen with a car window wash station. We needed it! :)

"Goning home"
hoosiers2013, 22 Mai 2021

On our way home from Yellowstone, we stayed at Graham's Best Western. The lady checking us in was very friendly and helpful. She even recommended a great little local diner down the street that had great food. Hopefully, we'll get to stay there again in the future.

"Murdo Best Western"
Nick D Mr J, 09 Mars 2021

A much older Best Western establishment, but staff are very courteous and helpful, makes the stay much more enjoyable, friendly atmosphere. Rooms are older but clean with all the a commendations, quiet. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and quite a few choices. Highly recommend staying at this establishment when in the Murdo, South Dakota area.

"Pretty good for a motel"
bivni, 05 Janvier 2021

We stayed one night on the way to WY. Rooms were on a smaller side, basic, but clean. This is definitely a motel, the name "hotel" is misleading. From your room you will hear your loud neighbours who will arrive late or depart early. The breakfast was decent. Price is a bit too much, but OK considering there is very little competition around.

"Small but super clean.."
DotsonC, 06 Décembre 2020

I didn't expect much from the property as I was extremely tired and needed a place to rest for the night. I was in for a beautiful surprise. I was greeted and checked in by the manager. She was very pleasant and professional. The room was undeniably nice and clean. I smiled from eye to eye....glad I stopped.

"Wonder what it's like in summer."
F4981JCmichaels, 21 Novembre 2020

We stayed here in November 2020, so most other guests were work related stays. They kept us in the corner away from everyone else, which was much appreciated. With that said, we have no idea how thin the walls are, but where we were located, it was quiet; no sound at all. The heating system worked well, but it was ironic that it was fighting a cold draft coming in from the door. The beds are comfortable with multiple types of pillows available. The bathroom was, shall we say, "interesting." The door cleared the toilet seat by about one inch, and it faced 90 degrees to the entry. All in all, the bathroom was small, but the vanity area next to it was large. Breakfast, as noted by another traveler, was outstanding. We too had the experience of a person preparing our food and bringing it out to us, which included hot food choices. We tipped her; it was that good. The check in and check out staff were personable and friendly. The reasons I did not give this a 5 star are the bathroom size and I really wonder if you can hear your neighbors in summer when it's at capacity. The layout gives me the impression that you would at least hear the ones next to you, but I cannot say whether the walls are thin or not, since no one was in the rooms adjoining us. Lastly, it's all on one level, a basic motel format. Pricing was $116 +tax for AARP rate. So budget? Sort of.

"Between 3-4 stars"
WickedCakes, 01 Octobre 2020

As I had seen others comment about wall unit, it is loud and sounds like a plane taking off when it kicks on, we had turned it off for the night. This BW has obviously been some kind of motel previous decades since that's the feel of it as well the smell of age. My mom slept great (that's why I'd give it a four star) while I tossed & turned all night. The bed is a bit too soft for my liking. The big issue I had though was around 5ish am, it sounded like someone started walking on the roof (there is no second story to this place). After 15 minutes or so, we finally got up and shortly after turning our room lights on (for being awoken by the walker? On the roof), the sound stopped (I guess the person got off the roof). We also had arrived at night and majority of the units had the outside lights on except where our room, that part was left in the dark. Overall, it was an ok one night stay, looking forward to staying at our next BW which will be a bit more quiet. Oh, the other plus side to this place, it's is quiet at night, no screaming kids or people slamming doors... that was a nice point.

"Proactive and Innovative Breakfast Service"
DaveS_FL_OH, 28 Septembre 2020

We were on a lengthy road trip and staying at a different Best Western each night. This hotel was one of only two that was actually offering a hot sit-down breakfast. The owner/operator provided a staff member to take breakfast orders from the seated guests for all the usual BW offerings (eggs, bacon, sausage, breads). Our plates were prepared in the kitchen and then brought to us. I shared with Best Western corporate that this location should be viewed as implementing best practices that should be shared throughout the corporation. What we generally saw in other Best Westerns on this trip was using COVID as an excuse to cut costs and offer meager grab-n-go cold breakfast bags of marginal quality and quantity. Kudos to this location for finding optimal workable solutions; that is what a world-class customer service oriented business does! David W. Saunders, BW Rewards Platinum

"Great 1 night stay!"
988kimberlyv, 21 Septembre 2020

We stayed at Best Western Grahams for one night on our way to the Badlands. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice. We enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning. Definitely would recommend staying here!

"Noisy AC/ heat"
Paula H, 15 Septembre 2020

The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was good for the typical included breakfast at motels. It was clean. The problem we had was that the in-wall ac/heat was unbelievably loud when the fan kicked in. It sounded like a plane taking off. I turned the fan down to low, and that helped some, but it was still much louder than we would normally tolerate. I don't know if it was just our unit or if they are all so loud. We were here just one night passing through, so we put up with it and somehow got some sleep.

"Exceeded Expectations"
pdcj03, 15 Septembre 2020

We were traveling and needed a place to stay overnight in this rather remote area. Based on reviews, we chose this BW. It's an older property where you can park right outside your door. I was a little nervous about what we'd find. However, the room had clearly been updated and was exceptionally clean. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Mattress very comfortable. The breakfast area was large And spotlessly clean. We had the option, with the COVID environment to take a grab and go bag or give our orders to the pleasant lady maintaining the breakfast area. We opted for the hot breakfast and it was quite good. Staff wore masks and were very pleasant and helpful. Pleased with our stay!

"Great stay"
TerriH1206, 13 Septembre 2020

Stayed here our first night in South Dakota. Our room had plenty of space an was very clean. Had a comfortable bed an great spot right off highway. Has nice outside pool area an picnic tables. The staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely stay here again!!

"Room Looking a Bit Tired"
TravelingSoccerLoon, 08 Septembre 2020

Room was clean but looking outdated in this motel style accommodation. Noisy air conditioner made it hard to sleep and bed not overly comfortable. Regardless of the state of South Dakota's policy, the motel has a responsibility to keep it's customers safe and should have a mandatory mask rule when in the lobby checking in.

"Best Best Western Ever!"
Deborah S, 08 Septembre 2020

This has got to be the Best Best Western! Great friendly staff, clean rooms, and still serve a hot breakfast! It still has the charm of the park in front of your room, but is quiet and clean! I would definitely stay here again!

"Not a good value for the money"
R W, 29 Août 2020

The staff were all very nice and friendly. The property is very old with exterior room entrances and parking at your door, unless you're on a large vehicle. They have a nice pool, picnic area and playground for the kids. The rooms however, leave a lot to be desired. Carpet was old and worn, AC did not cool the room at all. I slept very little due to the heat. The furnishings were very outdated and some were even stained. They did offer a free hot breakfast .

"Clean and Friendly"
tiphaniedirnberger, 23 Août 2020

This is a motel type set-up which is perfect for Covid-19 travel. The room was clean and the staff were incredibly nice. There is nothing fancy about this hotel but was perfect for our night stay. The outside pool was refreshing.

"Excellent in every way!"
tomorrowsantiques, 18 Août 2020

Quick and pleasant check in., park at your door, very clean and quiet. Small but very clean bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was well stocked and spotless! Easy on off the freeway. Only complaint was weak internet.

"Better than expected but a few things to mention..."
cindyjL1109BQ, 13 Août 2020

First off, the front desk lady was very nice and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the property was kept up. With Covid-19, I really liked how we could park right outside our room however, you do have to be careful with getting inside quickly with your luggage because of the flies around the doors. We got the room with 3 beds and a pull out. The room size was bigger than expected and very clean; however, the bathroom part with the toilet and shower was so much smaller and dated than expected. I past on showering that night because of it. The rest of my family found it tolerable. I loved that they had a hot breakfast option but I was disappointed you couldn't order it from your room and have it delivered or picked up as being form Illinois where we have strict Covid precautions, I was uncomfortable waiting for it while others were eating inside. The food was just ok. The donuts were not good at all. With all the being said, I did appreciate having a breakfast option as many hotels aren't now with Covid, and I would stay here again as the property is nice and clean and so were the rooms. I hope you found my review helpful.

"Terrible"
92jonim, 12 Août 2020

Our room smelled and was full of flies. We had our dog with us and I was very worried about fleas. I went to the office and the lady there just handed my a fly swatter. We are diamond elite members and this was the worst experience at a Best Western that we have ever had.

"Great Place for Traveler's to Stay"
dylanj1997, 29 Juillet 2020

Great place to stay while out traveling. Close to Badlands National park. Also good rooms with motel-style entrances. Rooms were also very clean and AC worked well. Will be staying again when I travel out to the Badlands area.

"Pleasant Surprise"
GYNinSTL, 28 Juillet 2020

Stopover on way to Badlands & Black Hills. We normally stay at regular upright style hotels but this was a very nice roadside motel. Room was clean and updated. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. I would stay here again.

"Great overnight place for travelers!"
strauss18, 28 Juillet 2020

We needed a place to stay on our journey to the Badlands and Montana, and the Murdo Best Western was perfect. Nothing fancy (thing old style motel) - but the rooms were impeccably clean, great AC, free breakfast, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even had a “family suite” with 3 queen beds - so everyone got a good nights sleep!!

"Clean but..."
81MikeR, 25 Juillet 2020

The front desk folks were very friendly - I arrived pretty late and got checked in quickly. I had a very clean room and the bed was super comfortable - however, the shower didn't seem to have hot water - I let it run for like 5 minutes and the best I could get was “not ice cold”, also the WiFi didn't hold a connection and made it so I couldn't download podcasts for the next day of my journey :( - aside from those two disappointing parts, it was nice.

"Nice hotel, nice price"
bill51449, 16 Juillet 2020

Great place to stay in Murdo, SD. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Pay attention to their suggestions for places to eat. They know what they are talking about! They were able to serve us a hot breakfast in spite of the covid madness.

"We LOVED! Murdo BW"
budlisasamsonm, 09 Juillet 2020

Clean! Nice! Quiet! Kind! We were hesitant to stay at a hotel during COVID but read the reviews and decided to try. So happy we did. Stayed on the way home from Badlands. Easy drive. Hotel was awesome. Clean, huge room, super quiet. Pool was open. The desk ladies were so NICE! Murdo is the perfect small town. Just loved it there and will stop anytime we are near!

"Gross refrigerator and filled with bugs. Overall, meh."
482alysiah, 05 Juillet 2020

Unfortunately, our most expensive motel was our worst experience during our road trip out west. We stayed in the Best Western one night and the room was filled with flies, wasps, and other bugs that we were having to consistently kill. We chalked this up to an easy mistake as the Midwest is known for summer bugs. However, the refrigerator had a half-open Pepsi and a disposable cup of some sort of liquid (we're hoping it was just apple juice...) upon arrival. Especially during Covid-19, we were very unpleased with the lack of cleanliness or care in the room. I wouldn't recommend this motel. Gave 2 stars because the beds were decent and overall it's a good location within Murdo.

"Excellent stop on way to Badlands"
AnnaMarieT917, 22 Juin 2020

We were arriving late and leaving early to get to the Badlands. I had to ask for help for a late arrival, I was offered breakfast items to be put in the room, and overall felt the service was excellent. The room is comfortable and clean.

"Great, clean motel!!"
pfidlin, 25 Mai 2020

Great spot to take refuge. We stayed here when traveling to South Dakota, and it was a great spot to stop and rest. Very comfortable bed and sparkling clean room. What m9re can you ask for? If you're looking for an economical, comfortable horel, this one is definitely worth looking into!!

"Overnight stay on the way to the Black Hills"
HKK_13, 24 Mai 2020

This is an older traditional motel-style motel. You park in front of your room door. The property seemed to be in excellent condition and the rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was pre-wrapped donuts, muffins, etc. plus yogurt due to COVID-19 restrictions. Otherwise, the breakfast area off the office looked very nice. We had a quiet night, even with people in the rooms on both sides of us. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

"OK Motel"
bc41457, 21 Mai 2020

The hotel is clean and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is older and there is nothing fancy. I would have rated it higher but for the paper thin walls and the obnoxious guest next door. Fortunately I had good ear plugs and a sound machine to drown out the loud conversation and stomping.

"Cleanest room I have ever seen."
birddogrun, 18 Avril 2020

I had to drive from Montana to Iowa to pick up a Lab. puppy because the airlines would no longer take live animals due to the Pandemic. I was ready to sleep in my Tahoe, but it was brutally cold. I figured that a small town motel was safer than a larger city hotel. I was ready with disinfectants of all sorts, but when I walked into room 109 and cleaning normal surfaces I realized that the room was cleaner than anyplace in my own home. I stayed there on my return with my new pup. I'm not sick.

"Excellent Hotel!!"
Elphaba, 02 Avril 2020

This hotel is clean. Room had all the amenities (Microwave, large fridge, coffee maker) plus some older touches: bottle cap remover, pull down ironing board. Loved the shower with a bar to hold onto. Super Breakfast. Good coffee.

"Small town experience"
Rick E, 24 Janvier 2020

Small town experience worked out fine. Old fashioned park in front of room. Friendly staff and adequate room and amenities. A good find along the way to west coast. It's small but nice. Would recommend

"Much needed and pleasant stay"
Scott K, 01 Janvier 2020

So we got stranded in a snowstorm in SD. We spent 30 hrs in our vehicle. We were finally rescued and brought to Kudoka, SD. No rooms were available in town and a local couple took us in for the night. We were very grateful for this. The interstate opened up the next day (Sunday), around 10:30am. We decided to give it a try. Well whom ever decided to open I90, should have their head examined. We made it to the next town (Murdo, SD), and took us 1-hr to go 40 miles. My wife called ahead to the Best Western, to try and secure a room. It was about 11:30AM and they told her a room wouldn't be ready until around 1:30 or so. But after my wife explained what had happen to us, they said they would get a room ready ASAP. When we arrived the staff was very pleasant and concerned for us. They said it would just be a few minutes and our room would be ready. We waited maybe 5 minutes. We were very grateful for this. Our room was cozy, comfortable and warm. A much needed rest. The hotel also gave us "drink coupons" for a local steakhouse 2- blocks down. Also much needed. We can't say enough about how well we were treated here. And the free breakfast in the morning was delicious! If we ever wind up in the area again, we will surely stay here.

"Great experience"
Cindy K, 17 Décembre 2019

The staff at this property were so friendly and helpful that it made our stay. The property was clean, and the bed was totally awesome. It had great high-speed internet, breakfast was good and it was quiet. If there were something to do around Murdo, we definitely would return to stay at this property.

"Vacation"
sskroll, 23 Novembre 2019

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel rooms are on the ground level and doors open to parking lot. Reasonable priced room. Very friendly staff and helpful about where to locate places in the area.

"Old School"
hurricanemama, 05 Octobre 2019

This was an older “motel” all on ground level. Parking right at door was a nice change from the high rise hotels of today. The room was spacious, clean, comfy and very quiet. We did not have time to check out breakfast, but it is provided. Definitely nicest looking hotel in area. Would recommend when in Murdo

"Clean, comfortable room but prefer interior hallways"
Ellen W, 02 Octobre 2019

The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There was a fridge and microwave, which we appreciated. I prefer a hotel with an interior hallway, rather than one that the door opens directly to the outside, but this being said, the room quality was very good. Unfortunately it was a windy, chilly day and the walk to the breakfast area and the ice and vending area was a bit cold.

"family vacation never stayed at a Best Western before"
ginafoster, 01 Octobre 2019

excellent stay during our family vacation. Normally we would not stay at a Best Western but, we decided to give it a try this last trip and we were pleasantly surprised!!! Clean, friendly, good breakfast!!

"Great stay"
Shane C, 22 Septembre 2019

Great place to stay. We only stayed here one night as we were passing through. Nothing fancy but nice motel. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Only down fall, to much light coming in through the window at night.

"A Motel!"
Karen S, 16 Septembre 2019

Wasn't expecting the property to be a motel, but it made loading and unloading convenient. Looked like the nicest motel in the area, at least from the outside. Beds and pillows were comfortable, room was quiet. Nice size refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was pretty good with a make your own breakfast sandwich option with toast or an english muffin with egg, sausage, and cheese. Staff was very friendly especially at breakfast.

"Great stay "
CRNA2011, 13 Septembre 2019

Wonderful stay before heading into the Bad Lands. Had a large room with three queens and a pullout that was perfect for our group. Clean and comfortable. Would stay again. The outdoor pool was still useable in early September.

"Great parking, all one level. Had to go outside to get to breakfast."
photobug429, 10 Septembre 2019

We were able to park by our room which was a big plus. The room was on the small side, but there were 2 chairs which we appreciate. There was no skim milk at breakfast, but there was yogurt and toppings. Coffee was good.

"Suprise"
Leann K, 24 Août 2019

We were so surprised when we got into the roon how nice it was. The mattress and pillows were awesome. So comfortable! The breakfast was goid enough and everything was clean. We thought the price was little high though.

"A perfect experience"
NumberOneReviewer, 14 Août 2019

My wife and I decided to stay here on our trip to South Dakota and this was a great hotel. We got great service from everyone here. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is in a quiet location where you don't hear road noise. The hotel is easily accessible from I-90 at Exit 191 or Exit 192. We would definitely stay here again

"Quaint "
brenhawk08, 09 Août 2019

We stay here every year on our way to Deadwood. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds great coffee and breakfast. We can't wait until next year! If you are traveling this is a must stop and don't forget to ask the staff about the Murdo Drive In

"Great Family Hotel"
James D, 04 Août 2019

Wonderful staff. They were able to direct us to great restaurants and stores for food. Plenty of parking space. Able to park in front of hotel room. Comfortable Beds. Breakfast was plentiful for parents and children. Pool was fun for kids. The hotel doesn't look like much from outside, but everything was up to expectations for a Best Western.

"excellent hotel"
Odyssey58130842659, 27 Juillet 2019

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were AMAZING!! WE checked in after a long stressful drive and it was nice to find that our room and the hotel itself greatly exceeded our expectations.

"Our stay at the Best Western."
jhenryc1948, 22 Juillet 2019

Fast Friendly service with a real smile from the clerk at the hotel. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Great restaurants were almost in walking distance and served great food that theyrecommended. Got an excellent nights sleep.

"Good option in a limited market "
TeresaCJ, 11 Juillet 2019

My husband and I needed to keep our schedule flexible so I booked this room on the same day while at the Badlands. There are limited options along I90 from Badlands to Sioux Falls and many are unknown brands and not highly rated on Trip Advisor (which I trust implicitly). I had forgotten BW is a drive-up motel which we do not like. However, all of the positive comments are true. Very clean, friendly, family oriented.

"Very nice family suite "
C476HIjulied, 07 Juillet 2019

The hotel is very nice, from the outside its deceiving. Front desk and rooms nicely updated. Staff very friendly. Breakfast had a lot of choices, hot and cold. Family suite was very spacious, and clean. Double vanity/sinks were a plus also. The girls enjoyed the pool.

"Pleasantly surprised"
JoyousWITravel, 06 Juillet 2019

Stayed one night on our way through South Dakota. It is a small, well kept motel. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable. Convenient to be able to park close to room for unloading and loading. The complimentary breakfast was also good- better than most hotel breakfasts with an attentive hostess who chatted with guests. Highly recommend if you need a night in the area.

"Decent Stay"
Daydream17271803408, 05 Juillet 2019

Stayed on our way into Wyoming. We over paid for the room—but it was A holiday weekend...I'll probably never stay here again, but that is only because we won't stop at that location the next time we are in South Dakota.

"Nice motel in South Dakota"
JillB400, 30 Juin 2019

Lost one star because WiFi was SO slow; could only connect one of our 3 devices in our room, finally got my phone connected in breakfast room. Breakfast was good with eggs, pancakes, sausage, biscuits plus all the normal fare, Front desk people were friendly, room was nice, with nice shower and plenty of hot water. Did seem expensive for the middle of South Dakota.

"Pleasantly surprised"
Rachel C, 28 Juin 2019

Had no idea what to expect from Murdo, SD coming from Chicago. Was looking for a place to stay on our way to the Badlands. Did my research and settled on this place despite my skepticism of staying at a Best Western. I was doubting my decision as we drove up. The outside was unimpressive but our experience was great! Newly updated throughout. Clean facilities. Great staff!!! And yes, the beds were great. We enjoyed getting to know other families at the nicely kept outdoor pool. The ladies in charge of the breakfast were friendly and constantly cleaning and taking inventory or food and supplies. We had a great experience.

Well-kept small motel, love being able to back right up to your room door! Generous sized room, very clean, comfortable beds, we slept great. Nice outside heated pool, convenient laundry room. Immaculate breakfast area, food was fresh and very good.

"What a gem!"
Quest775949, 23 Juin 2019

Such a pleasant surprise in this small town. The rooms were recently renovated and were perfect. Our granddaughter enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was very good. We could not have been more pleased and will definitely stay at a Best Western again.

"Old Motor lodge feel"
John-Cypress-Tx, 13 Juin 2019

Lovely little spot of the beaten path. Nice staff and clean quit rooms. Breakfast is quite nice for the location, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and the usual cereal and pastries. The dining area is a bit small but it works. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area. Not much to do in the town but a decent place to rest for the night.

"Nice stop on a long trip"
Paradise649210, 10 Juin 2019

The motel is nice and the beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was good but did get a little crowded in the morning. The breakfast was better than average and the facility was very clean.

"Clean and surprising nice"
kristins254, 10 Juin 2019

I'm not used to motels. It this one was really clean and then beds were so comfortable. The kids and I swam in their outdoor pool which was fun. Breakfast was average but the beds were so comfortable to me. I actually got a good night sleep.

"Quiet and clean"
Phyllis B, 01 Juin 2019

We were ready to stop for the night and saw the Best Western sign on the freeway. The rooms were nice and clean. While carrying in our bags, my friend noted a family with a baby going into the room next to us. He was worried we would hear crying all night, but we didn't hear any sound from the rooms on either side of us. The bed was a little too firm for my liking, but sleepable. The outdoor pool was about 80 degrees.

"Best stay"
lnelson5, 05 Mai 2019

Best night of sleep we have had in years. The bed was really comfy & the breakfast was hot and delicious. One of he best hotels we have stayed in a long Time. The room was also very clean. Thanks so much for your great hospitality.

"Best Western Graham's in Murdo South Dakota"
Julie_9000, 24 Avril 2019

Excellent experience! Manager Nadine was a gem. Staff were also very kind and accommodating. The hotel was easy to find, not far off the highway, but far enough!! Very clean, safe and comfortable!!!!!

"Clean and Comfortable"
aloecken, 21 Mars 2019

Small town service and comfortable beds. The bed is the important part for me when I stay at a hotel. The staff was welcoming and friendly and we shared a few laughs - breakfast was good. We would certainly stay there again,

"Great place away from busy cities."
Bonnie P, 03 Février 2019

I found this Best Western when I had to find a place to shelter from bad weather. Now, I always stop here on my way back and forth thru. South Dakota. Very clean and a great friendly staff. Prices are comparable to other Best Westerns. Pet friendly as well!

"Nice Price Small Room"
Stoddard C, 11 Janvier 2019

If you have to stay in Murdo, the desirable selections are two. We have chosen the Best Western several times over the Range Country Lodging. There's nothing wrong with the BW, but the heater/ac is noisy, and the room is small. The desk and especially the breakfast attendant are very courteous and friendly. Next time through, though, we are going to try Range Country which has pretty solid ratings. We continue to look forward to a burger and fries at the Rusty Spur up the street.

"Good choice"
Acadia8, 20 Octobre 2018

We stopped here for one night on a cross country road trip. Friendly staff, clean rooms, right off the interstate with easy access to gas station and local restaurant. The breakfast included more options than the typical motel breakfast, which was a nice surprise.

"Funeral Blues"
Barb850, 14 Octobre 2018

Had to make a quick trip for a funeral and on the way stayed at this motel to spend the night and continue on the next day. What a great place. I was totally impressed with the lay out of the motel. Easy to park, quiet rooms, comfortable bed, and the breadfast the next early morning was perfect. I had coffee, muffins, fruit, yogurt, enough to get me down the road, and even an extra bagel to take along. It was just what I needed for the night. Very nice staff when checking in too.

"The best place in murdo!!!!"
889bertg, 22 Septembre 2018

A lot of parking Space ans even for big Truck. Service was excellent. Place is clean. The pool is heated so that a plus. The only thing why IT not a 5of 5 they were a lot of fly in the room. (I known i am in the Badlands.

"Road Trip"
87marlenep, 19 Septembre 2018

All rooms are on ground level with out side entry. Small room and bath, but clean. Comfortable bed with generous pillows. Freezer with the refrigerator. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM in a small breakfast area. Typical hotel free breakfast.

"Stay Here! "
packer022049, 18 Septembre 2018

This motel was exactly what my family was looking for! It was clean, felt safe, friendly staff, close to the Badlands, great free breakfast, and the room had everything we needed. I had not stayed in a motel in a very long time. I was a little concerned about what it might be like. This motel far exceeded any expectations we had. Parking right outside our door made unloading the car so easy. They have the best biscuits for breakfast sandwiches! Every other hotel on our road trip had ones that were dry. These were perfect. There was only one downside that I can think of. The bathroom is very small. However, they do a good job of maximizing the space they have. The sink and vanity are outside of the bathroom which helps a lot. If we go through South Dakota again we will absolutely stay here!

"3rd Day of cross country trip"
Harleyridermarc, 15 Septembre 2018

Pulled into Murdo tired and ready for a rest . People were great and room was pleasant and clean. Woke up next morning to a good breakfast and we were on the road. Not much in Murdo but the pioneer museum was fantastic and local rest. Was good. Good clean family spot to stop. Graham's is the place to stay.

"Not impressed for the price"
fritz1102, 14 Septembre 2018

Very friendly front desk. Asked about senior discount and was told yes, so gave clerk my AARP card. After the fact, noticed NO discount given. Was surprised that each room had their own outside entrance door, so about 5 flies followed us into the room. Tried killing them with bath towel so we could sleep without pests. Very clean room, but could hear noises from rooms next to us; needs better insulation. Last, but not least, asked clerk about good place to eat. Another mistake as it was the worse, over priced frozen food.

"Another Great Experience"
Pioneer4138, 08 Septembre 2018

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is like an oasis in the desert. Clean, comfortable and very enjoyable. Really enjoyed the soft towels. You can't go wrong staying at this hotel.

"Good place to stay, comfortable & quiet. Safe feeling."
gdMariesa1969md, 06 Septembre 2018

Started out with this motel after driving 1000 miles from KY for our vacation, Check-in staff was very friendly & helpful. It was comfortable for a good rest before the next day's adventures. It's breakfast was good, not great, but considering it was included was okay, nothing over-the-top.....basic. The staff we encountered were friendly. Couple we were with enjoyed the late-night pool swim for relaxation. We would stay again, if the price was right, again. Double bed room was clean. Bathroom was clean & no mold, which is always a plus when we stay in a rented room.

"Comfy and friendly"
stkatravels, 01 Septembre 2018

We stayed on our way to the Black Hills. The staff was very friendly at check-in, breakfast, and check out. The room was clean and pretty quiet. Kids swam in the outdoor pool even though it was a bit chilly outside. The room was good sized. The sink was outside of the door leading to the toilet and shower. This was handy at times. The shower/toilet space is pretty small and there is no counter or place to set clothes to change into, etc. The breakfast was pretty good. They had pancakes, cereal, bananas, oranges, apples, yogurt, English muffins/biscuits, eggs (round, formed eggs), cheese slices, and meat to make breakfast sandwiches. They also had juice, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa packets. Would stay here again!

"Vacation stop over"
Sray53txtn, 30 Août 2018

My wife made our vacation travel plans and we stayed at the Best Western Graham's for two nights. We visited some of the local sights and had a great time. I'm giving the hotel 5 stars for cleanliness, ease of access, and a superb friendly/helpful staff. The morning hot breakfast and coffee were great too. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling through the area. There is also a nice park about .3 miles away to get a nice after dinner walk. Nice, comfortable, clean, friendly place to stay!

"Always a great stay"
Russ H, 29 Août 2018

I always stay here when I'm in Murdo. The motel is always very clean, has comfortable beds/linens, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also good. The price is reasonable. Try it, you'll be glad you did.

"MT Travelers"
Steven S, 28 Août 2018

Do not BOOK your stay online... BUT an awesome little motel to stay at. CALL the motel directly & you'll get a better than advertised 'online' price. Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. If you need a quiet, clean, & restful night's sleep, this is the place... Just call them directly & save $20 a night!

"Small town big impression "
David R, 26 Août 2018

For a small hotel in a small town this place is fantastic. The staff is very professional, the rooms are up to date and spacious. The shower actually has a shower head that is adjustable for a child to a 6 foot tall person. The breakfast was delicious. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, sausage, breads and pastries, and more. Please stay here!!!!

"Clean"
lorijdear, 22 Août 2018

Stopped on our way to Mt Rushmore. The motel was old fashioned but clean. The breakfast was good. The breakfast lady was very nice! The town is very quiet! We got good advice about the local restaurants.

"Much nicer on the inside than what you expect"
TravelerfromNJ2, 17 Août 2018

Both my husband and I were surprised when we pulled up to a one-story motel that appeared to be a motor court from the 1940s or 1950s. It turned out that the rooms were very nice inside, although a little smaller than what you usually encounter these days. They've definitely been updated recently. See attached photos. We had a comfortable king bed, upscale bathroom amenities in the vanity area, and a very clean room and bathroom. Even the TV remote appeared to have been sanitized and placed in a bag for the next guest. Although we didn't use it, we checked out the outdoor pool, and it looked nice. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the staff was friendly. Murdo is just east of Badlands National Park. If this is a good stopping point for you for the night, this is a nice, quiet, clean place to stay.

"Stopped to get out of the heat on a motorcycle trip"
John H, 07 Août 2018

This is an excellent hotel with clean rooms and a friendly staff. They have a pool on site, it looked wonderful but we did not use it. The rooms are peaceful and very clean. The free breakfast in the morning was great. The staff is owesome

"Hidden Gem"
magicmommy, 30 Juillet 2018

The hotel and staff were wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff warm, helpful and friendly. Just one head's up- the office closes at 11pm so if you are going to be a late arrival make sure you call and let them know. The front desk called me to make arrangements for our key pick up as I had assumed the office would be open 24 hours. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

"spacious room"
dovermier, 30 Juillet 2018

Very friendly helpful staff. Room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. the outside swing was great for the kids that had been cooped up in the car for hours. Breakfast was very filling and the area was very clean.

"Didn't expect it to be so grwat"
Ema1130, 29 Juillet 2018

I didn't realize it was a one level hotel and felt skeptical about it. Upon checking in with a very very friendly lady who was very informative, I felt more comfortable with the hotel. The lobby was very clean and inviting. Our room was clean. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool that was also clean. They kids mentioned it felt like a lot of chemicals in the water and their skin and eyes were burning. We never mentioned anything about it to staff. Clean and soft towels were provided for pool use. The breakfast was great and More than we expected! They had pancakes, eggs, sausage, yogurts, assorted cereals, coffee, tea, juices and much more!

"Nights Stay"
JB5V, 22 Juillet 2018

We found the staff very friendly. Single floor older style motel but don't let that stop you from staying. Rooms were extremely clean. Hot breakfast was good. We would stay here again without hesitation.

"Clean and Convenient!"
Kelley V, 09 Juillet 2018

We had a short night's stay here on the way from Minneapolis to the Badlands and the Black Hills. We arrived later than 11pm and arranged for our key pick up. The room and all the grounds were spotless! The caretakers of this place take some pride in keeping it extremely clean, which I really appreciated. The morning breakfast was adequate and my kids were able to get in a quick morning swim before getting on the road for our daily adventure. Thanks Best Western Graham's, we will always recommend you.

"Nice Place"
kimreed900, 06 Juillet 2018

Newly renovated. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom tiny but nice. Breakfast was a large assortment of hot food. Biscuts and gravy, pancakes, sausage patties & eggs. Along with cereal, donuts, muffins, danish, yogurt, fresh fruit and more. I highly recommend this place.

"Family vacation "
SkyProphet, 30 Juin 2018

Fantastic hotel in Wall SD. Very strategic stopping point for families heading west to Black Hills. If you have a long drive en route, consider spending a night here, then continue west to Black Hills. You can also get a day trip in to Badlands Park from here - just 15 minutes away! Outdoor pool and breakfast were excellent!

"I enjoyed the stay"
tgaud, 30 Juin 2018

I enjoyed the overnight at Best Western Graham's in Murdo. It is a motel of medium standard. The rooms are ok, though in need of refurbishment. They look a bit old. Comfy beds, plenty of towels. Well equipped room. The hotel has a nice outdoor pool. The breakfast is ok, though some vegetables (vitamines) and ham/cheese (proteins) would be appreciated as an alternative to all the carbs. Check in and check out was quick.

"Fantastic!"
sparkle21214, 26 Juin 2018

My family and I stayed at this hotel on our cross country road trip. It was by far the best hotel we stayed in yet! The room was clean and very spacious. It also looked newly updated. There was a beautiful outdoor pool and a small play area which my toddler loved. The dog area was also perfect for our lab. The staff was very kind and prepared a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for any families passing through the area.

"Very clean, quiet, great breakfast"
Amber D, 18 Juin 2018

This was our favorite hotel of the 3 we stayed in on our trip to South Dakota/ Wyoming. The staff was very nice, the hot breakfast was delicious, and even though there were a lot of people staying there, it was very quiet. I believe the rooms had all been redone recently. Excellent place to stay!

"Driving cross country"
mawarnerdc, 08 Juin 2018

Stayed here one night on our cross country drive. The rooms have been remodeled and are big, clean and very comfortable. The wifi worked great and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place. Pool was inviting but a little to cold to swim in the day we were there. Pet friendly and we never heard any of the dogs barking from the other rooms. Very quiet even though you are near a road. Thanks Best Western!!

"Clean with a pool"
TBPhineas, 05 Juin 2018

Great easy place to stop. The check-in and out was easy, the room was clean and updated. I was traveling alone and felt safe. Late in the evening I discovered that the crank bathroom window was open which I closed. No big deal until I could not figure out how to lock the window. Because I was alone I was now nervous about someone being able to come through. I didn't sleep well even though the bed was very comfortable. Morning breakfast had a nice selection for a small town location. I have no problem staying here again in the future if necessary but will have a better look at the window to confirm security.

"Nice As Can Be"
Mike O, 28 Mai 2018

We booked here because of the location, and were very glad we did. After driving east and looping through Badlands National Park we returned to the Interstate at exit 131 and continued driving east for another 60 miles until exit 191. We noted no hotel/motel choices over that distance. The desk clerk, so sorry I did not get her name, was as nice as can be at check in. And, when she noted that we planed a early morning departure prior to their hot breakfast service, she proceeded to give us a couple of to-go breakfast bags. The niceties continued out in the parking lot where we found a windshield cleaning station. This place struck us an an example of a days-gone-by motor court, where a single level of rooms are configured in a "U" shape facing the parking lot and pool. This place also struck us as being well kept, all in our room was clean as can be; same for the grounds and common area. Nicely done.

"Definitely Would Stay Again"
MnNanook, 23 Mai 2018

We would definitely stay at this Best Western again if we are in the area. Everything was very clean, bed was very comfortable, the room was surprisingly quiet, and the breakfast selection was better than we usually find at similar hotels (eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, cereals, yogurt, fruit, etc.). The woman who checked us in and was working again in the morning was friendly and very competent. It seems like every effort has been made to make sure that the needs of guests are met--I even noticed gluten free options for breakfast.

"Mid-way on I90"
nickschulte, 19 Mai 2018

Best motel in Murdo SD, short walk to the Buffalo Grille and Bar (best restaurant in Murdo). Great staff, completely courteous and helpful. Really like the 'old style' of your car right in front of your room. You won't be disappointed.

"South Dakota sunset"
johnkW9073DB, 05 Avril 2018

My stay at Best Western Graham's was clean and comfortable. I was able to park right in front of my room, so that made it convenient. Also, I'm glad they constructed the shower head so that it is higher, because I am over six feet tall.

"Clean and friendly"
Sue W, 06 Mars 2018

Headed for mitchell but had to stop due to icy roads. Nice surprise. Newly remodeled rooms with decent bedding. Pet friendly. Will return as a reliable stopping point between Wisconsin and wyoming. Helpful and accommodating staff and hot breakfast included.

"A Very Solid Average"
Stoddard C, 03 Mars 2018

Clean, updated, decent motel for being in the middle of nowhere (Murdo, SD). Clearly the best bet in town for a good place to lay your head. Wish for bigger bathroom, especially vanity area, a few more towel bars, and a heating/AC system that doesn't run full time and is a bit quieter when it does run. Very pleasant and chatty innkeeper, good hospitality effort

"Our Go to spot in South Dakota"
V B, 29 Décembre 2017

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It is not the fanciest place but we have found the rooms clean and comfortable and they take pets. The staff is friendly. We will continue to stop here for the night whenever we take cross country driving trips.

"Nice place"
Silvia and Greg S, 06 Décembre 2017

This motel was a perfectly fine place in the middle of nowhere. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the front desk clerk very friendly. There is a great restaurant within easy walking distance that was recommended by the desk clerk.

"vacation"
charlesv87, 19 Novembre 2017

great place to stay very very clean everybody was helpful and kind wanted a queen bed when booking had to upgrade to a king and was charged more instead of making a ajustment for price would and will stay with best western again.

"Cozy spot off of I-90"
Misty Rose G, 08 Novembre 2017

The company I work for requires a lot of traveling throughout South Dakota. We do blood drives in and around Murdo. This is one of my favorite hotels we stay at! The rooms are very cozy and clean. They also have a nice little breakfast area, which is nice, especially if you have to be up before the sun!

"Good place to stop for a rest"
Lisamarie1138, 04 Novembre 2017

We were driving from Wisconsin to Wyoming and this was one of our stops. While it looks unimpressive from the outside, we found it to be a very relaxing and comfortable stop. Due to some horrible traffic, we ended up arriving several hours later than anticipated and the office was closed, but they called us to make sure we were still coming and made sure we were able to get our key. The beds were comfortable, and in the morning they had a nice breakfast put out - I was pleasantly surprised at the freshness and choices, including things like non dairy milk options. There was also a little playground for the kids to blow off some steam before another day of driving.

"Don't let the "strip mall" appearance fool you"
823joyceg, 21 Octobre 2017

As we approached the Best Western after dark and I saw the "strip mall" exterior -- single level, all room doors open to the outside -- I thought, "Oh no." But the reception area was lovely ... and when we opened our room door, the room was very nicely furnished and up-to-date! Really like the toiletries -- especially the lemon scent to the shampoo. We slept very well! B'fast was average (the b'fast area is quite small)/ Staff were great on check-in and check-out. Definitely would stay here again!!!

"Good stopover for travels"
caperwi, 16 Octobre 2017

Good stopping point while crossing the state. Difficult to access with ongoing interstate construction but a nice oasis once arrived. Average room, comfortable bed. Some issues controlling the temperature. Very friendly and helpful staff.

"Okay overnight on trip through South Dakota"
Paul A. P, 10 Octobre 2017

My wife and I stayed here on our way from Minnesota to Mt. Rushmore. While it is very old-fashion (single story and park in front of your room), the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was limited, but adequate. It was not as nice or as modern as I had been lead to believe from the reviews I had read on Trip Advisor, but it met our needs for a stopover on our western trip.

"Very comfortable, close to freeway"
Loretta M, 10 Octobre 2017

We called while heading east on I-90. The woman who answered the phone, and was probably the same person who greeted us, was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and shower was great. There wasn't a big variety of food at breakfast, mostly carbs. More fruit would have been nice, but it was your typical hotel breakfast.

"nice overnite stay"
Ed B, 05 Octobre 2017

Just exactly what we needed. Nice clean room for an overnite stay on our way home. Room was small but very clean and quiet. Had everything we needed and a fine breakfast in the morning. Would stay there again!!

"Ok for and overnite stay"
Joe Y, 03 Octobre 2017

It was clean, quiet and very acceptable. The included breakfast was just OK. They did an excellent job of getting our luggage to the room from the bus. It is an old style motel, one floor with rooms opening to the outside. If your worried about safety, this may not be your place. Although it is well lit and the wasn't any problems.

"Best Western in Murdo, SD"
joannk263, 27 Septembre 2017

The comfort, the cleanliness, the amenities, the breakfast, the heater, the carpet, the desk clerk, the towels, everything about this stay was wonderful. We'd been sleeping in hotels for 4 days and this was our very best experience.

"Murdo, South Dakota"
777annf, 23 Septembre 2017

The location was OK, Continental Breakfast lacked any Gluten free bread products, over all breakfast met everyone else's needs, service and staff were very helpful and met all our needs, over all this is just a upgraded motel, some what poor by Best Western standards we have become accustomed to. We will in the future stay at other Best Western's.

"TRIP OUT WEST"
V6942LIdeborahr, 23 Septembre 2017

VERY clean all updated...VERY NICE STAFF, outdoor pool... we were traveling in a group of 4 and loved our trip to Grand Junction Co. would recommend it to all....this motel is a few blocks off the Interstate but well worthy the visit...Staff were very sweet and accommodating ....

"Older but good hotel"
michaelcY9344HU, 22 Septembre 2017

When you first pull into the hotel, you can tell it is an older hotel, single story with outside room entrances. The woman at check-in was nice and informative. The rooms have been remodeled, so the rooms are nicer than what the outer appearance seemed. Only complaint I had was the bathroom is small. Being a bigger guy, it would have been better if the door opened out of the bathroom instead of in. Beds was good, decor was updated. I would suggest it in your travels.

"Great people and clean facilities!"
Ed S, 21 Septembre 2017

If your travels take you to the Badlands or the Black Hills of scenic South Dakota you can rest easy at Graham's Best Western. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff make you feel like a family friend visiting their home. No impersonal motel feeling here!

"Wonderful basecamp for an exploration of the Badlands"
abretske, 20 Septembre 2017

This really is a great place. From the front desk to housekeeping, the staff treats you like friends who are stopping in for a visit. At only 60 miles to the Badlands, you can not find a nicer place for your lodging. Great beds, spacious room, free internet and breakfast. We had a very nice time.

"Clean and Confortable"
Russ H, 18 Septembre 2017

This hotel is clean as a whistle. Rooms are basic but comfortable and have everything needed for a good nights stay. Staff are really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Grahams if you are traveling through Murdo.

"Comfortable"
DickandRobin, 18 Septembre 2017

Traveling long distance, found ourselves in Murdo. Property consistent with other Best Westerns. Better breakfast than some included. Nice staff. Otherwise nothing remarkable. Located convenient to chain restaurants.

"Great Stop in Murdo"
jfparmn, 18 Septembre 2017

We've stayed here several times over the past 20 years or so, most recently on a return trip from the west coast. We have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean and in good repair. The motel is located a short distance from the highway, so vehicle noise is not a problem. Good breakfast with a nice selection of hot and cold items.

"When you need a stop in the middle of "nowhere!""
Toranut1997, 14 Septembre 2017

As others have mentioned, Best Western Graham's doesn't look like much from the outside. But the rooms are clean, well maintained and spacious. Internet works well, breakfast included is above average. Staff is kind and helpful. Grocery store is right around the corner should you decide to eat in (as we did). A welcome respite on a long drive home!

"I'd stay again"
abw17, 10 Septembre 2017

Clean, modern comfortable room. Welcoming and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again. I was initially concerned because the outside seems like an old fashioned motel. Rooms are modern and up to date.

"Quick overnight "
Nicole C, 04 Septembre 2017

As my friends and I were traveling through, we decided to stop in this town because of the time change that happens. We were greeted by excellent staff as we walked in around 9pm. The establishment is clean and has a pool. They also offer breakfast in the morning and it was very good. They even had things for people who can't have dairy like almond milk.

"Small rooms, but lovely"
55SharonG, 03 Septembre 2017

We spent a week traveling through South Dakota, and this was the best hotel we stayed in. The rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. There was coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours. The pool looked good! They even had a windshield cleaning station set up in the parking lot. Breakfast in the morning was well-stocked and the staff was courteous.

"Would stay again. TINY breakfast room"
Adrian J, 03 Septembre 2017

Check in staff was pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Nice room. Expensive to do laundry. Felt safe. Hotel is just around the corner from the "main" traffic area, so it was quieter. Hotel wasn't full when we arrived, but it was full within a short time. Nice shaded small picnic area to sit at. The breakfast room is TINY.

"Traveling Around"
maynardj2016, 02 Septembre 2017

This motel and just like some or all the motels in Murdo SD don't have a night person. So when you stay there book before 11:00pm. The motel has parking for pickups with trailers. It's a very nice motel with a good hot breakfast. Not bad for the value

"Passing through stay"
roadryder, 29 Août 2017

We pulled off the interstate after long hours of driving and found this motel. I don't normally stay at Best Westerns. The motel was built in the 60-70s but very nicely updated. I loved it! The front desk lady was super nice and offered a discount so we checked in. She suggested a steakhouse up the road from the motel for supper. It wasn't fancy but it was delicious. And the breakfast provided by the motel was very good. If I'm ever driving through South Dakota again, I would stay again.

"Oldie but goodie "
Robert W, 29 Août 2017

Built before 1970, I think, recently remodeled, a pleasant surprise. The check-in desk clerk went beyond the ordinary in making certain we received points, information about amenities and local restaurants. Lisa at check-in was great, thanks. The room was clean and comfortably decorated. Very small however. Price was a bit higher than facility of this vintage warranted.

"Best Western in Murdo, SD"
Donna W, 29 Août 2017

Our last stop going home to Illinois from a 2 week trip out West . Older motel, but love you can drive right up to your individual room. Staff friendly, and breakfast was fine. Hot eggs and sausage and dry cereals and rolls. Internet was great, best we had out West, clean, remodeled up to date rooms and plug ins for your cell phone and computer. Would stop there again. Just down the street we ate late at a great place, called the Rusty Spur.

"Happy surprise"
Nancy F, 28 Août 2017

We've had good luck and bad luck with Best Western but were extremely happy with our choice in Murdo. After a very long day of driving we found a completely updated motel that must have been a "mom and pop" kind of place but was clean, pleasantly decorated with the current style and a nice size room. It was quiet and we slept very well. Breakfast was better than the average small town continental and included eggs and sausage. We will definitely stay here again on our way west this fall.

"Very clean and updated!"
Katelyn M, 26 Août 2017

We were very impressed with this hotel. Being out in the middle of nowhere, you never know what you're going to get! We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was, we would definitely stay there again!

"Excellent value"
Neil R, 24 Août 2017

Had lower expectations for this type of lodging but was very pleasantly surprised. Quiet and clean rooms of better than average size. Good breakfast included. Would recommend this lodging to family and friends.

"Excellent place to stay!"
lorijosall, 24 Août 2017

The staff was wonderful, the room was clean and neat and very pretty, and lots of room to move around and it was just a great experience. We had a bad storm the next morning and the ladies even held breakfast for us and offered to make more of anything they offered, very considerate and it was a great place to stay.

"One of the greatest hotel experiences ever!!!"
Jeremy B, 22 Août 2017

We weren't at the hotel long as we had so much photography to do in the Badlands and we had to leave early for the total solar eclipse. When we arrived the nice person at the front desk made us a fresh pot of hot coffee for the road and also got some hot water for a nice cup of tea. Truly a wonderful stay and you guys should proud of the staff (especially whoever was working around 4 p.m. on August 20, 2017). Thanks again!

"Small Town Motel "
User, 14 Août 2017

The rooms were very small but clean and modern. Tiny bathroom for a family of four. I liked that we could park right outside our room-it made it easier to unload and load the car. Breakfast was great. Lots of family friendly options and healthy options like fruit and yogurt. Mini fridge in the room was great! Front desk staff was very friendly. We should have listened to their suggestion to eat at the local drive in for dinner, but instead we tried the Rusty Spur and were extremely disappointed. Our kids had fun splashing in the pool but it was very cold - I lasted about 3 minutes before getting out to huddle under a towel.

"Nice, Clean, Friendly"
hcspartafan, 10 Août 2017

Needed a place on short notice on return trip from Montana. Rapid City area busy and expensive with motorcycle rally so moved on. Staff (Lisa), was very helpful. Knew I would be a late arrival, made sure that even if I arrived after she was gone arrangement could be made for keys. Clean, hot breakfast, and imo a great value. Next time through will stay there again.

"Travel Home from Yellowstone NP--Stayed in Murdo, SD"
stacybT3686ZE, 08 Août 2017

This hotel is AAA rated and we were able to have a discount on the room due to our AAA membership. Check in was smooth and our room was clean (except for the toothbrush and razor that was left on the small desk). The room appeared to be newly refurbished. Clean bathroom, but very small tub/toilet area. Beds were very comfortable and had clean, white linens. Breakfast, though free/included in the cost, was mediocre. Presentation of the breakfast was very nice and the staff kept items full. One staff was a bit rude to another guest--the guest wanted a to-go breakfast bag (front desk referenced this option), and when they asked the staff for this, the staff acted put-out and asked if the guest had already eaten. Most hotels offer this without question.

"Small town surprise"
danielcI9704IQ, 06 Août 2017

Traveling across the country with my wife and dog we always look for nice accommodations. Sometimes the time of day dictates where we stop. Using the Best Western app pointed us to Murdo. Always apprehensive about hotels in tiny towns we decided to give it a try. We we greatly surprised with the hotel, staff and accommodations. It was one of our best stops in our 14 hotel stops. Thanks for everything.

"Not good"
Hoernsch, 03 Août 2017

This hotel is not very good. The room was hot even though the air conditioner ran all night it only put out warm air. Beds are very soft. Breakfast limited. people at front desk were very friendly. Town is only a block long so don't expect much in Way of dinners

"Vacation stop over "
Ann and bill S, 02 Août 2017

Hotel was okay. First room had a offensive smoke smell. We were moved per our request, at once. Bed, linens, towels were great. Breakfast was just okay. This was listed as a best western plus. Nothing about this hotel is a plus

"Dirty!"
lezlig2017, 01 Août 2017

Our room had 3 large dead beetles. Room & bedding smelled like dirty clothes. Maid practically kicked us out at 7:30 the next morning. I almost slept in the car but with 2 young children, that wasn't an option. Breakfast & front desk staff was great. That's about it. The "lobby" is deceiving. Very nice! Rooms are not.

"Quaint town"
121marksp, 31 Juillet 2017

The hotel was very clean and neat, the staff were all great. It was a nice place to stop for the night. However, the town itself is run down. There was only one place to eat and it took 2 hours to get our food. With hat said though, they too were friendly and very accommodating.

"Our favorite!"
bettibiz, 29 Juillet 2017

My husband and I stayed here during a 6500 mile trip across the US to sightsee and visit family. We stayed in several hotels that were fancier, and many that cost the same or more. Hands down, this was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. We booked it last-minute from on the road, and were worried upon arrival – it's very old-school, the kind I remember staying in when I was a child: one floor surrounding the parking lot, with the pool in front. It turned out to be the perfect form of nostalgia – the outside quaint and old-fashioned, but the rooms beautifully updated with wonderfully comfortable beds and bedding, the latest in technology (including “clean remotes,” which I love!), and quiet-running, higher-end AC units rather than “window shakers.” The folks at the front desk were every bit as friendly and welcoming as you'd expect in the Midwest, and the whole experience makes me want to visit again, just to stay here. It has my highest recommendation.

"Summer vacation out west"
18albertf, 27 Juillet 2017

Very friendly, clean and reasonable. Several eating places near and picnic tables on the lawn. A museum was near with lots of very very interesting things to see. They also had a restaurant inside with ice cream which was very good on such a hot day.

"Nice accomodations"
Jean C, 26 Juillet 2017

We had a nice room, clean, comfortable and spacious. And, on the advice of the desk clerk, a nice dinner at a local restaurant. Breakfast was fine, normal motel breakfast. It was a little too cool and windy to use the pool but it looked nice.

"Great"
K.k. P, 25 Juillet 2017

We searched for a clean, reasonably priced place to stay. We found it in Murdo. The motel was clean, comfortable and the price was right. We would plan to stay again! We can't say that so much in this part of South Dakota. We try to avoid Rapid City and Wall. Nothing fancy -but you'll be happy you stayed!!

"Wonderful place"
X8093FHcatherinef, 20 Juillet 2017

Great place, wonderful staff. Awesome breakfast, everything was clean and orderly! I would highly recommend ! If I was ever in the area again I would definitely stay there and I plan on taking my other family members on another trip in a few years and I will be at this hotel

"Clean and Spotless"
Michelle G, 16 Juillet 2017

This place was clean and spotless. Very impressed. Staff was friendly and courteous. Typical carb breakfast but that was fine. Coffee could have been stronger. Outdoor pool area was very nice. We just stayed one night but would stay again when passing thru.

"Clean, friendly, safe"
Sarah B, 15 Juillet 2017

We stopped in tiny Murdo, SD on our cross-country move. This hotel had friendly staff, a clean room, an very good breakfast. It's easy to get to from I-90. I usually feel less safe when my door opens to the outside, but in Murdo, this doesn't seem to be a problem.

"Clean and Friendly"
John W, 15 Juillet 2017

We stopped here overnight on our way back from a road trip. We had our four-year-old son and nine-month-old daughter with us. The room was very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. Complementary breakfast in the morning was also very good. I would definitely recommend staying here.

"Beware"
Barbara Hughes D, 13 Juillet 2017

We cancelled our room 10 days in advance and got charged for it anyway. Appeals to corporate and the hotel fell on deaf ears! Have never had this problem with other hotels. Will not recommend or stay at Best Western hotels in the future!

"Nice overnight stay"
kvjneuman, 12 Juillet 2017

My wife and I had reservations to say the night on our way to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Check in was quick and easy and we were able to get into our room very quickly. The room was very clean and room enough for the two of us. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but not a problem. My wife is a reader and is always worried about lighting in motels/hotels and was very happy to have bright lighting. We didn't stay for the free breakfast since we were on a schedule.

"Good enough for a night"
karenhZ8114LT, 10 Juillet 2017

We are used to staying in hotels like Holiday Inn Express when on the road. This was not quite up to that standard, but there were few choices in town. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was fine for an overnight stay. The pool was too dirty to swim however.

"Family vaction to South Dakota"
207melissay, 10 Juillet 2017

The desk clerk was very helpful with getting us checked in, helping us find dinner options, and directing us to a city park as well as explaining the pool and park on site access! The next morning breakfast was amazing, lots of variety and good food! All the staff were very friendly.

"A chance to experience a vintage motel!"
ohl740, 09 Juillet 2017

Our family stayed at Graham's Best Western on a recent family road trip. It's an old-fashioned court-style motor inn, and the kids were fascinated by the ability to park right in front of our room. The room was updated, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. There's a window wash station to remove bugs from your windshield, essential on long car trips. My husband enjoyed a swim in the pool after checking in, and the kids and I went to the Murdo Drive In for ice cream based on a tip from the staff. Their menu includes old-time treats and flavors that you can't find most places anymore. The breakfast exceeded expectations, too, with an excellent variety of hot and cold options. We enjoyed sharing with our teens what traveling was like when we were kids! Except this was probably better, because I don't remember motels providing breakfast back then. Highly recommended! P.S. My son left something in his room. We called, and they looked for and found the item. They mailed it to our home (I paid postage, of course), and because we were traveling for two weeks, they offered to wait a few days to send it so it wouldn't sit on our doorstep. It arrived home right before we did! We appreciated the exceptional customer service at this hotel.

"small and quant"
Fredrick L, 06 Juillet 2017

This hotel is old but they have spent the money to up date the property. It was a good buy for the money. if you are in this area it would be a good place to stop. It is not to far from the Badlands and Wall.

"Very clean!"
Roland D, 01 Juillet 2017

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of our room....very enjoyable!! Everything worked great! We are always leery of staying at a hotel where the entrance is outside....but we felt really safe here!!

"Great last minute rest stop"
Leigh R, 01 Juillet 2017

We were halfway through a 20 hour road trip and wanted to rest for the night. There weren't a lot of options in the area. I chose this hotel because of the reviews and wasn't disappointed. The rooms seemed as though they have been updated recently and were kept very clean. We had a room with a small dining table and it was very spacious. Perfect for my husband and I, and 2 teenage boys. The boys used the outdoor pool to burn off some energy from being in the car all day, and refueled at the breakfast in he morning. The breakfast area was spotless and there were plenty of selections for the whole family.

"Graham's Best Western, Murdo, SD"
H7127LSjasonh, 01 Juillet 2017

Graham's Best Western has been our resting point on our travels from MN to Mount Rushmore over the past years. Service has been wonderful and friendly, rooms clean and very comfortable, and just a great spot to rest for the night.

"Super clean and very accommodating"
ckwallace, 29 Juin 2017

We were headed east from Montana and need a place to stay after visiting Mt Rushmore/Custer State Park area. This is about 2 hours east so, while not in the heart of things it was on the way for a much better price. The property itself was exceptionally clean, the breakfast was nice and the staff was super friendly. One feature I thought was awesome was they had a gas station like window washing station in their parking lot, very accommodating! We did not get to try it but they have a nice outdoor pool that would have been a hit for the kids if had arrived earlier.

"Friendly and Clean"
Susan H, 26 Juin 2017

Front desk staff was incredibly friendly. I arrived very late and they were helpful and understanding. Breakfast accommodated gluten free guests which was surprising. They had nice assortment of cereal, pastries and yogurt etc.

"Would stay again!"
952raea, 25 Juin 2017

This hotel is wonderful. Everything was renovated and beautiful inside. It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. They recommended a local place to eat that worked well for my family. The rooms were smaller, but really clean and bright. Overall, great experience.

"Small town"
WILLIAM P, 22 Juin 2017

Small town, nice hotel and had a great stay. Did not realize there was that much in Murdo, they did not have as many signs up a Wall Drug so you could have missed it. he car museum sounded interesting but we stopped to visit a cousin and go to the Lutheran Church.

"Baggerdude"
BaggerDude, 22 Juin 2017

The rooms were very nice. Comfy beds and nice amenities. This is a "motor lodge" type of motel with only 1 level, exterior entrances and parking right outside your door. As a motorcyclist, this is a great feature. I'd recommend this motel to my family and friends.

"nice for a nights stopover"
stgard, 17 Juin 2017

There aren't too many hotels in Murdo, we stayed one night, it was clean, quiet and friendly. It just has small rooms, is why I gave it a four, but we had no complaints at all. Would stop there again if passing through.

"Don't let it fool ya!"
759janab, 16 Juin 2017

This a quaint little place and the hotel is quaint as well. Don't let the remoteness of the area fool you. The rooms were extremely clean. So much so you will notice the freshness of the linen when you walk in. The breakfast is good for a quick breakfast and the staff friendly and helpful.

"Our stay in Murdo South Dakota"
220dad, 13 Juin 2017

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Murdo South Dakota. To have such an excellent lodging facility in a community of only 500 people was unbelievable. The room was quiet, neat and very homey. The staff was excellent and friendly. We would stay there again.

"Great Hotel in Murdo, SD"
Duane H, 11 Juin 2017

Clean rooms, great breakfast, convenient. Breakfast are small but food was great. Hotel was not an inside hotel as door faced the outside, Was very quiet though, Rooms were not modern but were clean and adequate,

"Nice tidy hotel"
Dave W, 10 Juin 2017

Our family found this hotel to be friendly, clean and convenient. The breakfast wss excellent. Nice pool area. The room was clean and comfortable. Don't let the old style motel format fool you (drive up exterior rings), the rooms are updated and nice. It gave it a nice retro feel!

"Good nights rest"
bettyg17, 09 Juin 2017

Nice, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Quiet even though just off interstate. Older Best Western but not really obvious as rooms were updated. Good, clean accommodations for my two dogs. I like the older curbside entrances as it is easier to unload and load my car when I travel by myself. No long trips to room with luggage.

"Great stay!"
a t, 09 Juin 2017

Newly remodeled large clean room. Friendly staff and hot breakfast, pancakes, sausage, biscuits gravy, eggs, etc. Great value and location for those traveling with family. Free wifi and outdoor pool. Will stay again!

"Added to my favorites "
Laura C, 08 Juin 2017

We were on a business trip with a little recreation thrown in. We got in just as they move into "night desk mode", I called and Donna said she would just wait for us before leaving. Warm greeting and then an absolutely clean room with comfy bed, fridge and microwave was a great ending to our day. In the morning it was great to be greeted so brightly by the desk attendant as we came in for breakfast and the breakfast area attendant was just as sunny and friendly the whole time. They had the normal offerings of biscuit, gravy, hotcakes, sausage, fruit, eggs both scrambled and hard boiled, pastries, toast, cereals etc. All was kept filled and hot. They even had almond milk for our dairy free toddler! My number one judgement for a hotel is clean and this one hits it but it also makes a big difference for me (and my return visit) is the staff and they were flawless at this location!

"Best Western grahams (looks can be deceiving)"
stlaaa, 30 Mai 2017

We stopped in Murdo SD for the night. We booked this place based on trip advisors reviews. On first sight I thought wow is this place looking old. Our room was pretty good. Lots of space pretty modern. The bed was comfortable. We all slept well. The complimentary breakfast was good. I would go here again. Lots of parking. We were pulling a trailor and they provide parking for this and bigger rigs. I called the hotel directly and was given a better rate than calling the chains reservation system. So if you are on the way to SD this is a great stop over.

"Back again!"
notpicky68, 29 Mai 2017

BW Graham is the place I go to when traveling through SD. The price is reasonable, the rooms updated, spotless and very nice. The breakfast is also very good, even offering Gluten free choices and lactose free milk. The owner has tried to think through every detail in making the place comfortable and is very helpful.

"Happy"
avponds, 28 Mai 2017

Very small town but very happy with staff and our stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Don't be put off by appearance. Everyone we came into contact with we're friendly. Seems like many people stay at this location due to remoteness of area.

"Average"
A7859HVjohno, 18 Mai 2017

Not horrible but not great, Wi-Fi kept disconnecting about every 30 minutes. Average hotel with average accommodations. People in the area didn't seem real friendly and the staff was kind of just there with the exception of an older gentleman that was in the lobby drinking coffee. He was very nice but not even sure he worked there. When you are in the hospitality business you need to be a little outgoing.

"small town hotel off the highway but really nice place to stay in SD"
robertts131, 02 Mai 2017

If you are ever passing through the eastern part of South Dakota, say on your way to the Badlands or Rapid City, and need a place to spend the night this is a great choice. This hotel is a nice, clean, comfortable place, offering many things (pool, breakfast, and more). Murdo is a one light (blinking red) town but really pretty nifty in my opinion, it was a neat place to spend the night on a recent road trip to Yellowstone National Park.

"What a gem of a find"
barbinarizona, 02 Avril 2017

We're traveling from Chicago to Seattle, and wasn't sure where we'd end up each night. About two hours east of Murdo we started researching where we might stay that night. Via several searches we decided to take a chance on the Best Western due to its great reviews. We so glad we did. The clerk over the phone was very friendly, and once we got there, we were surprised to see it was a renovated motel, but no worries. Front desk was friendly and efficient, and explained all the perks of the hotel -- free wifi, and breakfast the next morning. The room was renovated fairly recently and the whole room was spotless...including sanitized remote! Yes, the bathroom was tiny but completely updated, functional and spotless. Breakfast the next morning was quite thorough....biscuits and gravy, makings for egg sandwiches, cereals, yogurt, fruit, pastry, juice and coffee. The biscuit and gravy was quite good. We were very pleased with our choice. The owners/managers obviously have pride in their property.

"Convient and clean"
557allisona, 30 Mars 2017

Stopped here on our way to Badlands National Park while driving across country. Staff was extremely helpful at check-in with recommendations for restaurants in the area. Very good accommodations and I would definitely stay here again.

"Exactly Right "
24QueenBee, 17 Mars 2017

Friendly front desk clerk and fast check in. Clean, nice smelling room. Very comfortable bed, soft fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Good shower with good water pressure. Very nice breakfast, quick check out.

"very clean and friendly staff"
46Juliet46, 06 Mars 2017

i enjoyed my stay at the best western in Murdo, South Dakota. staff made me feel at home and helpful to answer any questions i had. i would definitely stay here again when passing through South Dakota.

"Overnight stay"
Jim C, 23 Novembre 2016

Small town but since it was getting late and dark early we decided to give it a try. Saw they had a Best Western and that it was pet friendly so we got a room for the night. Lady at the front desk was very nice and gave us a comfortable room. Rooms are clean and since everything is all on one level you don't have to worry about overhead noise. Morning breakfast is the standard fare but was good enough to get us going.

"Extremely friendly staff"
Rdockery, 23 Novembre 2016

Great location for hunting parties in south central South Dakota. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, overall nice property. Dog friendly. Bird cleaning station convenient to parking lot equipped with water, cleaning tables, and trash cans.

"Friendly welcoming staff, comfortable bed,"
Sylvia J, 06 Novembre 2016

I have just driven across the U.S. from PA to WA and I am very happy to recommend three hotels, this being one of them. It was close to the exit of I90, and had the nicest person in charge. She helped me when I had problems with my car, she couldn't have been nicer. There is an interesting restaurant up the street with a kind of wild West atmosphere to it. The room was clean and the bed super-comfortable. They have a nice free breakfast and plenty of parking spaces. Would return there.

"Best stay of our trip"
Becky H, 31 Octobre 2016

Our stay was very pleasant. The desk staff was very friendly both in making our reservation and upon arrival. She directed us to a nearby restaurant that served great food. The lobby was welcoming with its Halloween decorations and candy. The hot breakfast was plentiful and good with biscuits and gravy, sausages, eggs, fresh rolls, and much more. We were able to park our car right outside our door. The room was very clean and convenient, and the bed was quite comfortable.

" Third times a charm"
Julie T, 28 Octobre 2016

We always stay here if we're within an hour of stopping for the night. The rooms are spacious, recently updated and comfortable. I like motels we can park outside our room door. This trip, we had our dog along, so we used the pet area behind the motel, but even my seasoned older dog did not want to go near it. She must have smelled something she didn't like. This would be the only improvement I would suggest they work on. Unfortunately some rude pet owners don't pick up after their animals, ruins it for all of us. The hotel even provides little poop bags. The pool area is nice, breakfast is free, and there is ample parking.

"Not a good place to go if you have a pet."
838kennethj, 27 Octobre 2016

The room was fine. It was clean, but dated. And not very large. They charged a $20 pet fee, which I thought was a lot. Other places I've stayed don't charge for pets. This place is in the middle of South Dakota, so there are not a lot of options. With taxes, the total bill came to $100. The pet area in the back is covered with large stones. Difficult to walk on, really not pet friendly. The place has a lot of units; they put a highway work crew in rooms on either side of us. They were pretty tired I guess, so they didn't bother us except for a parking battle. They brought a lot of big trucks with them. Looking at the size of the place, they could have put us in a further away room without any problem. We were traveling at the end of April, so they were not very busy. All things considered, I will not stay here again.

"I liked the retro look"
Judy H, 25 Octobre 2016

If I hadn't found it on TripAdvisor I probably would have passed it by. Oh, it's clean and inviting, I'm just not used to the single level, park outside your door motels. Glad I chose it. Took me back to a simpler time. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The morning breakfast included waffles. There was biscuits and gravy. And all the others you would expect in a free breakfast bar. I liked it. I was gonna be sittin in a car all day. I didn't need a big heavy meal. I chose cereal and biscuit. I was pleasantly surprised when the biscuit was not dry and crumbly. I haven't been this way since I was a child. I loved my trip to the monuments! I must come back. If I'm in the Murdo area I will choose this BW. Thanks for making me feel like a kid again.

"Passing Through"
Karen G, 23 Octobre 2016

Driving home and needed a place for the night. What a wonderful surprise. An older hotel that was completely renovated. Very friendly and very nice accomodations. Free internet, hot breakfast, and the rooms were beautiful. The artwork of the local area was a nice touch. Lots of pheasant hunters were there with their dogs so pet friendly too - but it was very quiet and we got a great nights sleep. They also had a nice outdoor area with picnic tables.

"Outstanding stay"
Michael T, 17 Octobre 2016

Spent 4 nights at Best Western for opening of pheasant season. The motel is perfect for hunters....large CLEAN rooms, fridge, microwave, pet friendly. Parking right out of your door. While probably built in the 1950's, this property is very well maintained and the service is outstanding. Will stay here every year!

"Passing through "
Shawnsjob2, 14 Octobre 2016

Very glad to have stayed here had to stop for the night & in a small town, always feel its a roll of the dice whether it's decent or not. I would stay again & recommend to anyone. Clean, friendly, comfortable. Comfy beds, lots of pillows!

"Sweet Little Motel"
krismb12, 12 Octobre 2016

We LOVED this sweet little motel. Murdo was a planned stop along our road trip and when we got to town we saw this place and thought we'd give it a try. It's an older one-story motel that reminds you of years past. But while some of those older places aren't kept up, this one is! It's been remodeled inside, everything is nice and clean and just adorable. They are pet friendly and have a nice pet walk around the back. We missed breakfast at this stop due to being in a hurry to get to our first pit stop (Wall Drug) so I don't know if it was good or not, but I imagine it was just fine like everything else at the hotel. The cost was average to maybe a bit high for the area, but worth it for a comfortable stay.

"Great for one night stop."
Sue Z, 11 Octobre 2016

We came in late at night so this was a great place to stop for one night. Though the room was dated it was still very clean with comfortable beds and hot showers. We thought it was a little overpriced since it was more dated. There was a nice breakfast the next morning with plenty of choices to please all. The staff was super cheerful and friendly. The outside and front office was decorated really nice for Halloween.

"Convenient location for I-90 travelers"
Easyflyer, 06 Octobre 2016

We've stayed at properties in Chamberlain and Kadoka, SD before which met our expectations, and had originally planned to stay in Chamberlain again, but a change in our last two days of traveling made Murdo a more convention location. This BW was probably better than the other two properties in which we stayed before (and which met our expectation). It had all of the basic amenities (WiFi, good selection of cable TV channels, and a hot breakfast with good variety). It also had an appreciated extra--a windshield cleaning facility close to the office and swimming pool. It was especially appreciated in late summer given the number of large bugs flying across I-90 and other roads this time of year. There is a large car museum (which we didn't visit) very close by, and a full-service restaurant about a block away. We'd stay here again when traveling on I-90.

"Visit Murdo!"
Wanda J, 05 Octobre 2016

If you ever travel in the Murdo, SD area, the Best Western here is really really nice. Easy access off I90. I've stayed here a number of times over the past 10 years and this place just gets better and better. The rooms are immaculate, the towels plush, the WiFi great, the decor lovely & customer service excellent. I wish I could have accommodations like this on my whole trip! #VisitMurdo

"Nice Surprise"
TechyD, 01 Octobre 2016

Didn't look like much on line but turned out to be a great place run by very accommodating people. Older but upgraded and very clean. Being able to park right outside your room is tops for me. Above average breakfast made it even better. Super rate, too.

"Super Place to Stay!"
User, 27 Septembre 2016

When stopping in Murdo for the night, you must stay at Graham's Best Western. It is squeaky clean and you'll enjoy a full breakfast in the morning. Farmer Bros coffee, scrambled or hard boiled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fruit, and every imaginable breakfast bread and cereal. The room was even decorated for fall. Friendly staff too.

"South Dakota Trip"
Karen S, 20 Septembre 2016

This hotel was right on the main street of town, easy to find. Staff was helpful and friendly and gave good recommendation for dinner. The pool had just closed for the season so that was the only disappointment.

"Excellent motel in Murdo"
NeilfromDayton, 11 Septembre 2016

This is a very good place with lots of nice features, including spacious rooms with microwave & fridge, park-at-your-door layout, a nice outdoor pool and a shady grassy area with picnic tables. Sleeping here was good on comfy mattresses in this quiet motel, away from the Interstate. Breakfast is included and it is above average for a free motel breakfast. I saw an assortment of nuts, fruits, granola and chips you can put on your yogurt, The hard boiled eggs were peeled for you, which was cool. Also fresh donuts, biscuits & gravy were offered. We were there on Labor Day weekend and the place was full early.

"Very pleasantly surprised"
Bethany H, 11 Septembre 2016

On our way to the Badlands and very nervous about a Best Western in the middle of SD but we were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are dated but they are incredibly clean and the mattresses and pillows were new and very comfortable. Again, the rooms were very clean. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful

"Nice place to stay on the way home"
Lynn244, 09 Septembre 2016

We were on the way home from Mt. Rushmore and stayed here. It was a good choice. Our room was very clean and had a nice shower. The room overall was very nice- it had a refrigerator and microwave. There was a nice outdoor pool. It is a one story hotel. You can park your car right in front of your room and walk in. It must be a good place because the parking lot was completely full in the morning. The breakfast was great. Sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage, eggs, danish, etc. The lady that was in charge of the area kept it totally filled and was always cleaning it up. When we arrived, it was recommended to go to the restaurant/bar down the street. The next morning we found out there was a whole town down the street the other direction with a lot of stores and restaurants. so check out the area.

Lisa C, 08 Septembre 2016

Nice hotel, large rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast offerings were disappointing. I had to leave the hotel and travel to a restaurant.. Please advertise that the breakfast is basic continental so you customers will be prepared.

"A Traveler's Understated Oasis"
jaamo, 05 Septembre 2016

Located at what is essentially a crossroads in Montana, we found the motel to be a pleasant surprise. Very clean, very spacious rooms. The breakfast buffet far better than most and the staff friendly and helpful. They have a laundrya nd a small pool, don't gouge you in the vending machines. Would gladly stay here again.

"Great place to stay"
randysgirl, 04 Septembre 2016

We were traveling and just needed to stay one night. The check in clerk lady was very friendly and helpful regarding places to eat around there. She also chatted about the Best Western points system and I signed up. The lobby has plenty of things to look at and we bought and mailed some postcards to the grandchildren. The breakfast was good. The room was very clean and had a door that the husband could step outside to smoke. (The motel is all nonsmoking rooms) We didn't have anyone with us that would have used the pool but it is advertised as heated and there is a playground for children there

"Best place to stay!!"
Donny M, 02 Septembre 2016

This is a fantastic place to stay. The staff treats you like family and will go out of their way to help with anything. I would not consider staying any other place other than this place if you are in the area.

"Family trip"
Margaret A, 30 Août 2016

This is an amazing hotel! It is shiny and clean, smells wonderful, and is not lacking in any amenities. Staff are wonderful regardless of the time of day or night. Don't pass this hotel by if you are traveling through South Dakota.

"Feels like Home"
Mark D, 27 Août 2016

This beautiful property in a very small town was just like being at home, from the warm, friendly staff to the very nice comfortable room. Place was filled overnight, but it was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop.

"Good place to stop"
TrineLovheim, 26 Août 2016

This was just a rest point on our road trip, but we were very pleased with it. Lovely pool to relax in. Close to Badlands NP. OK breakfast. Excellent choice. Room was clean and bed comfy. Very friendly staff.

"Good for an older property"
AggieREprof, 24 Août 2016

Tussled with myself about whether to give this motel a Good or a Very Good rating because other than the breakfast, which was below average, I really have only a few additional negatives about our experience in this older property. We were only offered a room with two queen size beds and the beds fit so tightly in the room that choosing either one meant one of us had to get up in the dark with only one foot of space between the bed and the wall. My glasses had to go on the floor overnight and I hoped that I remembered to fish them out so that I didn't step on them in the dark. The a/c was placed weirdly in the dressing room so that it had a hard time cooling the room. But the room, including the shower, toilet, and sink were clean. The bed linens were clean too, although they were too small for the bed and kept coming untucked whenever I arose during the night.

"Excellent"
ronjulie2016, 21 Août 2016

Very friendly and clean. Were quick to help us find a plug in for hooking up our RV while friends stayed in a room. Highly recommended and the pool was great. Breakfast was good and had a decent variety of choices.

"Traveler Friendly"
rjkholland, 21 Août 2016

On our way through South Dakota and stopped here. Super friendly and very helpful. We were traveling with friends in an RV and they did everything they could to help them out. Outside pool perfect for family fun. Great breakfast! For a small place they put out a lot! Clean too! Great small town bar/restaurant within walking distance.

"Exceptional Customer Service"
Merry B, 19 Août 2016

My husband and I just completed a leisurely cross country drive and stayed in many small towns along the way but I must say this little hotel in Murdo, SD surprised me. The room was nice and clean, the bed comfortable and they had a lovely little breakfast in the morning. But the thing that stood out for me was their helpfulness when I realized 4 hours down the road that we left something in the room. I called the desk immediately and was told that the cleaning lady did find the item in our room and they would be happy to arrange to mail it to us! Now, this is not the first time I've left something in a hotel room but it is the first time I've ever been able to recover the item so I just want to say that from my perspective the Best Western Graham's deserves extra credit for their outstanding customer service.

"Murdo Sd - Hotel"
LisaKWSmith, 18 Août 2016

very nice place to stay. has a small playground for the kids. has pet area in the back of hotel. has a pool and vending room. the breakfast was disappointing and could use improvements and as a coffee drinker I would love better coffee and creamer options and the size of the area is small especially if the hotel is packed there is no room what so ever. the ladies at the front desk super nice. this was a stop for us between destinations that was great we even went to Pioneer auto to spend a few hours. would stay again for sure

"Great service and Best Free Breakfast."
4buddyTravlers, 17 Août 2016

Customer service was great. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. This had one of the best free breakfasts we've encountered. Was not all Sugar and Starch actually had protein (sausage & eggs) dining area had staff cleaning and replenishing as needed! Good location for our drive. No stairs to deal with if you have any medical issues.

"Good experience"
honorthyharley, 15 Août 2016

I can see why this motel has such good ratings. It was clean, our room was spacious, the staff was friendly and professional, and everything was wonderful. I'm picky and I was very pleased. Thank you for such a great experience!

"The Pet Friendly Place to Be"
Josephine H, 14 Août 2016

There was a nice lighted area for dogs to exercise and potty bags were available. It was large enough for dogs to avoid each other when there were more than one or two. The cost for pets was very reasonable which was greatly appreciated.

"Clean and comfy"
bchlvrmn, 12 Août 2016

We spent one night when traveling through the area. Choose this place based on trip advisor reviews. Room appeared to be recently updated and clean. Beds are comfy and everyone we encountered was friendly. I felt it a bit overpriced but would stay again if passing through.

"Would stay here again"
Heather M, 11 Août 2016

Room was very clean and the staff was friendly upon arrival. Was pet friendly and they put us close to the pet yard which we appreciated. Breakfast was good and they kept it well stocked but was very crowded. Easy to find right off of I-90

"Nice hotel experience"
Mike H, 09 Août 2016

We found this place on Trip Advisor and booked it as it had good reviews and wasn't overly expensive. I love motels as I like to be able to pull up to my room and unload my stuff without having to walk across a parking lot, into a lobby, up an elevator an down a long hall. Some people like that as it gives more security but I like motels. It was clean and well maintained. The breakfast is your standard continental breakfast, not great but not bad for free.

"Perfect "
Kelli L, 08 Août 2016

Our family stopped here on our way back home to WA. The family suite was large enough for my husband and I and our 4 teen/preteen girls to really stretch out and relax. It was very clean, and quiet, and the beds were so comfortable. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good - we didn't use the pool but it looked nice. I highly recommend this place.

"Good stop for traveling"
Carriehep, 06 Août 2016

My family slept here on our way west. It was clean and quiet. The staff at the desk and working the breakfast was friendly. The breakfast offered the typical free breakfasts items you usually see with free breakfast. (Hard boiled eggs, pancakes, toast/bagels, cereals, biscuits and gravy, apples/bananas) We did not use the pool as it was rainy, but would have if the weather cooperated. It is only an hour to Badlands National Park from here. We would stay again.

"Super Quiet for a full motel :)"
Work2snap, 05 Août 2016

We stayed in Murdo after visiting the Badlands. The motel is about a 50 min drive from the park. There is a time change between the park and the motel and that can be a bit defeating especially if you are running a bit late. This is place smacks of the Howard Johnston's I stayed in as a child. The motel was full but it was very quite. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower rocked. They had a nice looking pool but we did not have time to enjoy it. The parking was great, right in from of our room. They offered a nice hot breakfast and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

"Old fashion style motel."
mike p, 03 Août 2016

Nice to have an outside pool. Very friendly staff. Great warm breakfast. Towels for the swimming pool are available in the lobby at check in. Lots of parking for those pulling trailers. Our room had a bathroom window should we need to make a quick get-away.

"Staff is Great, Hotel needs updating"
gloriak452, 02 Août 2016

For the price paid this hotel needs serious updating. The staff is great and went out of their way to get us checked in on arrival. The confirmation says check in is 12 but in reality it is 1PM. They were able to let us in before one. The room definitely is not set up for 4 people in a room and the lobby was located way across the parking lot if you needed anything.

"Clean hotel, friendly staff."
Jillian H, 30 Juillet 2016

My husband and I recently stayed here before heading over to the Badlands and Black Hills. Cute little hotel - very clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and even stayed late to make sure we got checked in. Great (free!) breakfast. Far exceeded my expectations.

"Old school but safe choice"
cliff_rock, 28 Juillet 2016

Stayed here for one night on a road trip. It is an older property, but our room was clean and well maintained. Front desk staff was very nice. The front desk closes at 11pm as I recall, so contact them if arriving late. This was a family suite that had 3 beds and a sofa sleeper. Small fridge in the room, too. This particular room was very large. Bathroom was a little small, but large double vanity area made up for it. Breakfast was a bit above average. The photos on their website don't quite do it justice because there are actually three serving areas with a good variety of good options, both hot and cold. Outdoor pool was warm and clean, with a pretty nice deck area to lounge. Towels are provided at the front desk. At a glance this place looked a bit sketchy for our taste but it was a perfectly fine stay.

"Yellowstone/Mount Rushmore"
443keithw, 26 Juillet 2016

No complaints but nothing outstanding, maybe one of the better hotels in the area. If going South, Murdo is the last town to get a decent accomodation. The one thing they did have that I have not seen before was, a wind screen washing station, very handy

"Great place to stay in Murdo, SD"
Sandra M, 22 Juillet 2016

The accommodations were great. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Thought I was sleeping in my own bed. Recent upgrades to the rooms made our stay very comfortable. Loved the shower and bath accessories. Great breakfast with lots of choices, loved the coffee. We will be back and staying again at this Best Western.

"Very clean place and friendly staff!"
cmhawkeyes7677, 20 Juillet 2016

We stayed here for a night when traveling home and it was very clean and the staff was very polite. I would recommend this to anyone passing through the area. Pool did not have a deep end, but got to 5 feet deep. Pool was clean and maintained well.

"Very Clean and Delicious Breakfast!"
Loves2teach123, 19 Juillet 2016

We are not used to staying in a motel, but this was very nice. The atmosphere was outdated, but it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The weather was stormy, so the kids couldn't swim, but the pool looked nice. The breakfast was awesome. My teenagers were most pleased! It was a great start to our Black Hills vacation.

"Great surprise"
Wolfie52, 19 Juillet 2016

This was just a fights stay, with 3 teens on the way across the country. I expected this to be Ong the poorest hotel/motel we stayed in, but it was among the best. We stayed in a room w/ 3 queens! Nice room layout and comfy beds. As always, quiet is important with me, and didn't hear any unwanted noise. Breakfast was good, pool was nice, desk people were friendly.

"Fantastic..."
Dave M, 18 Juillet 2016

This property was great! Clean inside and out, updated, and well kept. I love this old style of lodging where every room is on the first floor and you park right up to your room door but finding one that isn't a complete dump is very hard to find these days. I just wanted a clean room and comfortable bed on the last night of our trip but we got more. The only complaint is that the breakfast did not start until 6:30, most start at 6:00. I need my coffee but I would not let that stop me from staying here again, it was a great choice.

"Great hotel"
mzvic92, 16 Juillet 2016

I admit that I am a bit of a hotel snob, usually staying at Marriott & Hilton hotels. But on our recent road trip we wanted to stay outside of the badlands so we could explore them the next morning. We were thrilled with the Best Western in Murdo. We got to the hotel minutes before a powerful storm hit & the front desk was experiencing problems with their credit card machines, but they never skipped a beat. The small lobby was packed with other travellers trying to get in from out of the storm. They quickly checked us into our rooms & on our way. The rooms were clean and spacious. We liked having the mini fridge and the moveable shower head. I will stay here again on my next trip through the badlands.

"Very unique breakfast option."
Craig R, 15 Juillet 2016

Super friendly and helpful staff. Explained breakfast options in detail. Breakfast included an additional custom omelet breakfast held outdoors next to the pool. Softest biscuits I ever had. Very similar to KFC biscuits in softness.

"Nice place to stat"
Linda H, 15 Juillet 2016

Nice clean, quiet room with nice choices for breakfast and friendly people. Breakfast choices include eggs, sausage, toast, muffins, gravy, biscuits, yogurt with various toppings, cereal choices, juice, coffee and more. All rooms are on the first floor with door to outside, like older motels.

"Best motel in America"
TravelinNurse, 12 Juillet 2016

I've stayed at this property various times throughout my life, this being the fifth time. Through the years the outdoor pool remains refreshing and the beds comfy. The staff is kind and helpful. We were informed that our room had been remodeled over the winter. No complaints! They even have a Windshield washing station! I'd stay again!

"Don't let its looks fool you."
Tim M, 12 Juillet 2016

It may look like a run-of-the-mill motel, but its rooms and the staffs' service are first-rate. A very enjoyable experience! Murdo is a very small town, so everything is within walking distance. Stop there and enjoy South Dakota hospitality at its finest!

"great setup"
Caitlin V, 12 Juillet 2016

I love the breakfast outdoor setup. the Omelet outdoor was so yummy and delicious. It was easier to load and unload our stuff. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even have bicycles for the guests to ride around town. I have never experience this great setup of the western style.

"Super clean, super nice"
Susan G, 11 Juillet 2016

The hotel room was immaculate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The internet worked well. It is an old fashioned motel that has been totally refurbished and updated. We were happy with our stay.

"Trump would stay here !!!"
Red B, 11 Juillet 2016

Would-be President Elect Donald J. Trump would think he woke up in his Penthouse Suite in Trump Tower if he so fortunately found himself in these rooms. Melania would enjoy the biscuits and gravy, to the fresh hand picked fruit! Ivanka, Don and Eric would give this place 'two NY thumbs up' I'm quite certain. It's that good!

"Simple-Good Value"
craindedo, 10 Juillet 2016

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was small, but all we needed for a quick overnight stay while driving through. Rooms were updated. Breakfast and lobby area were very nice, clean, the food was good, and the staff was attentive!

"Refreshed on Road Trip"
pammysubs, 09 Juillet 2016

My 89-year-old dad and I were on a 5,000 mile road trip in June. We needed a place to stay as we crossed South Dakota, and I found this Best Western online. I read the reviews ahead of booking it, and I'm glad I did. This was the best looking place in town and the staff was phenomenal. Jeannette took my call the night before we arrived and made sure to save a large room close to the office for my dad and me so he wouldn't have too far to walk. She was the one who greeted us in the office when we arrived and pleasantly took care of getting us checked in. This may not be the newest or fanciest hotel around, but it was certainly clean and welcoming after our long journey. I'd be happy to stay here again anytime I'm in the area.

"Wonderful surprise for large fam!"
User, 09 Juillet 2016

Coming through late with our 6 kids, other hotels full. Stopped in, not very hopeful that we'd find the 2 double rooms we need for our crew. Sweet woman at the desk informed me there was only ONE room available - because no one wants such a big room. 3 queen beds and a pull out! Perfect for us! Room was clean and very well stocked. Breakfast the next morning was excellent - a wide variety, well stocked, and tidy. As anyone with a big family can attest, hotel breakfasts can be a huge $ savings, and variety keeps everyone happy. Staff was very friendly, kind and helpful. We will stay at this hotel again.

"Great laundy facility"
Dorothy C, 07 Juillet 2016

This is an old motel than has become a Best Western. The rooms are nice size. The best feature is the laundry facility as there is no public laundromat for nearly 100 miles. There are not many motels to choose from for miles so they can charge higher prices. We could get points here. No breakfast is offered. Lobby is closed at nights.

"Nice place to stay"
Sandra K, 06 Juillet 2016

This is third year we have stayed at Graham's on our way to Yellowstone. Very clean pleasant place to stay. Ladies were very helpful at the desk. Good breakfast served with everything freshly stocked. We have been very happy staying there.

"Don't pass on this hotel!"
Derek T, 05 Juillet 2016

I pulled in off the freeway in the early evening and found this place and am I ever glad! The woman behind the desk was very nice and helpful and even though I requested a single room , which were all gone< she put me up in a wheel-chair access room anyway. It was super clean and spacious! The pool was a short walk away which suited my needs as the temps were approaching 100 F. The breakfast in the morning was ample and tasty which sent me on my way westward.

"Very nice, clean motel! We liked it!"
Lynn K, 04 Juillet 2016

This is a vintage 70s type motel that has been redone and is very nice. It's a throw back in a very fun way with clean rooms completely remodeled and a nice pool out front. It's nicer than any we've stayed at in Wall or Chamberlain. We typically stay at Holiday Inn Express or Hamptons. We would stay here again! Try the Drive Inn for the best hamburger you'll ever eat! Rooms have ref and micro.

"Great place to stay!!"
dannyb581, 04 Juillet 2016

We were traveling to Mt Rushmore and all the hotels close were booked. We called and asked about 2 rooms and she graciously told us she had a room w/ 3 Queen beds available. We arrived around 10:30 pm and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was very clean and beds were comfortable!! Breakfast the next morning was also very good!! So glad we stopped!!

"Old Motel with Modest Updates and Tricky Front Desk"
Kevin K K, 29 Juin 2016

Ran into a weird deal upon checkin. I asked what they had for rooms and they had a Family room option 134 with 3 Queen beds and a pullout couch for $139. I said I would take it and gave her my card. Ran to the bathroom in the lobby (1970s decor but very clean) and came back to get my card and room keys. We had just weathered a wicked storm with 50 mph winds, and we're looking to settle in. Went to room 144 and opened it. Only 2 queen beds! Went back to the office to explain that they had given me the wrong room. They tried to convince me I got what I paid for. I almost relented but told them that I agreed to take the family room for 139. Finally, the Mgr told the coworker, "Oh, just give it to him. It's not worth arguing. " Wow! They tried to pull a fast on me after committing to the family room and price. Weird, but we did get the spacious family room 134 with 3 Queens. The room is clean with Modest Updates to make it comfortable. It still has old windows, doors, walls, trim, etc. It will certainly work but for $150 after taxes, perhaps should have looked around for a 1-night pass thru stay. Hopefully breakfast will make up for the fast one being pulled on check in!

"Clean & Pleasant Room At A Reasonable Price"
M8223DCjohnd, 25 Juin 2016

Due to a automotive breakdown, my family ended up staying at this motel for 3 nights, while searching for a repair shop and waiting for car parts. The staff at this clean, pleasant, friendly motel worked hard to help my family be comfortable and to find the help that we needed. We ended up making some friends and having a good time, thanks to this motel staff.

"Clean & Comfortable"
JenNiffer, 24 Juin 2016

We were so impressed with the cleanliness, comfort, & customer service. We stayed one night with our kids. The breakfast was good and there were many options. The wasn't a spec of dust or grime in our room. Would definitely stay here again.

"Lovely one night stay"
Denise H, 23 Juin 2016

This place looks like an old-fashioned motor hotel from way back, but don't be put off by that. Very nice staff, room was a bit dated but very clean, comfortable and QUIET!! Breakfast was typical but there was enough food to fill us all up before we hit the road again. Nice stay.

"Best Western, Murdo, South Dakota"
Delores E, 22 Juin 2016

Staff was very nice. My family was traveling during their vacation and this was, happily, the hotel that had a room with 3 queen sized beds! We had no objection to paying a little extra for the room, because it saved us from having to get a second room!!

"Great place not far from Badlands Nat'l Park!"
dawnrenee0516, 20 Juin 2016

When we first drove up, I was concerned, as the hotel is a renovated motel, with exterior doors. However, when I checked in, the lobby was very nice and the staff were very helpful. When we entered the room, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms have been completely renovated and are very nice. The bathrooms are small, but have new tile and are clean and up-to-date. We had a very pleasant stay.

"Exceptional!"
JoJer02, 20 Juin 2016

We were all pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Not a lot of hotels to choose from but we think we got the best place. Very friendly & helpful staff. The price was reasonable. The rooms have all been remodeled. My husband lived the shower head. The beds were very comfortable. And all the guys loved their biscuits & gravy. We highly recommend this hotel.

"Great place!"
JenHen4, 18 Juin 2016

We stayed the night traveling back home. It was a wonderful stay. Swing set and pool outside for kids. Clean, large room and great hot breakfast! Will stay here again if ever passing thru! Nice little town that's a hidden gem! When you get a chance a recommend you stay here.

"Small Town Gem"
Ronald A, 15 Juin 2016

While Murdo South Dakota is not a large town nor having multiple tourist sites it has a gem in the Best Western franchise .Decent, clean rooms, wide driveways, a place to relax next to pool and all on one level .You get a good breakfast also . All foe a reasonable price .

"good"
martyMissouri, 11 Juin 2016

The room was clean but small. The staff was excellent. A good place to spend the night while traveling. We were ok with this place. We would stay here again if we ever pass this way again. The staff were really good.

"Great!"
Deborah W, 11 Juin 2016

We had a busy day of exploring and traveling. We were tired and were delighted to find this Best Western would be just right for the distance we wanted to stop for the evening. The room was clean, large, great bathroom area with a window that opened nicely, comfy beds, nice place to take our dog, and a good breakfast in the morning. It was a great stay to get us ready to continue our travels. Thanks!

"Quirky Fun Place"
Paul S, 02 Juin 2016

We stay at least one night on our annual family prairie dog trip. The hotel has 2 'bunkhouse' rooms 3 beds and a fold out so we can get the common experience. The breakfast area has been enlarged. Nice. Murdo is not touristy in spite of the car museum. The Buffalo Bar, the Rusty Spur and the Anchor get mostly locals - places where you can kick back and enjoy a few cocktails.

"On the way to Colorado"
Lauren C, 31 Mai 2016

Stopped here for the night. I was so impressed! Rooms were Very Clean, had a small dog with me they even had a dog area out back of our room to walk the dog! Front desk personnel were extremely friendly and accomodating. Beat part was the free breakfast we had before we headed out. WOW! I would highly recommend this Hotel to all people traveling West. Superb!

"Badlands National Park Stopover"
Kerry R, 31 Mai 2016

This was basically a one night stopover before heading into and exploring Badlands National Park. I was able to make it to the motel before a major thunderstorm hit the area, and the room was a good comfort from the storm. It was a clean room, good bed, TV and Internet, and breakfast in the morning.

"Great Hotel in a "Secret Location""
Jeremy B, 31 Mai 2016

If traveling along I-90 and you don't want to spend insane amounts of money in Rapid City or Wall for lodging, consider staying in Murdo at this Best Western. It's a single floor and all rooms are accessed from outside. Very pleased with this hotel and it was very enjoyable.

"Worth staying...and visiting pioneer Auto show.."
Gillian L, 29 Mai 2016

Staff friendly and informative. Rooms clean and comfy.Enjoyable Breakfast. A good base to visit surrounding areas. We ate at the Rusty Spur..very good. The outdoor pool wasn't open due to the time of year...The Auto museum is 2 minutes away from the motel, within walking distance. 1880 town about 20 miles away towards Rapid City.

"Overnight at Murdo"
Stacye M, 20 Mai 2016

Graham's Best Western is a motel--drive right in, all rooms are ground level. Very neat and clean. Refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker. Bathroom sink separate from tub/shower and toilet. Two double beds in our room. Pool available, but not open during my visit (not in season yet). Free wifi that works well. Excellent value.

"Quite impressed"
Diane K, 16 Mai 2016

The rooms were very well maintained and clean. I wasn't expecting much from this older fashion motel in a small town. But it was great. We were very comfortable. Plus the breakfast was so much better then other hotels we have been to. They even had almond & Silk milk. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Nice place.

"What a pleasant surprise"
Janice P, 12 Mai 2016

Murdo doesn't have many hotels so as a recognizable name, we booked a room. The exterior was clean sand well-maintained. The desk clerk first helped correct an error I had made while booking, then gave recommendations for dinner. Much appreciated. Our room was well-appointed and spotless. Beds were comfortable. Everything had been updated. Because this motel was originally one of the many built in the 1960s, my expectations were low but I was very pleasantly surprised.

"Clean roadside motel but pricey "
Pete Z, 09 Mai 2016

We stayed here on a cross country trip with a toddler and a dog. We chose the location out of necessity, both in driving distance and the need for a pet friendly location. Overall, it was acceptable. The rooms were clean, but make no mistake, this is a motel not a hotel. All rooms are walk in first floor units with really no amenities. For the price, it was hardly a bargain. Considering the wonderful hotel we found in Deadwood the next night for a lower cost, I'd recommend that anyone keep driving past Murdo. If you have to stop, however, this place will do.

"Great Find"
Larus-glaucescens, 09 Mai 2016

Normally I would not stop at a motel like this with old-style single-level wings and outside doors. I like Holiday Inn Express when I do road trips. However, TripAdvisor had really good reviews of this place, so we checked it out. The rooms are recently remodeled, and they are every bit as nice and fresh and clean as Holiday Inn Express rooms. The hotel also has a hot breakfast/continental breakfast with eggs, etc. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator and microwave. Very nice! I would definitely stay here again. We ate supper at the Buffalo Restaurant and Bar down the street, another surprising and serendipitous find in Murdo. (See my review on that.)

"Clean rooms, friendly staff, great hospitality"
PJ H, 09 Mai 2016

Everything was perfect during our stay over the weekend. Rooms were very clean, the breakfast was outstanding, and the front desk attendant ALWAYS greeted us every morning with a smiling face. It's the little things that make this place stand out over the rest of the hotels in town. Definitely staying here next summer.

"Travel Stop"
John H, 29 Avril 2016

When heading back to Minnesota from Colorado our preferred stop is at Graham's in Murdo, SD. The service and quality is always consistent and is the value to the cost is good. We have stayed there many times over the last several years.

"I dig it"
fleeonfire, 27 Avril 2016

Really nice and updated on the inside. Not much around but this is a good pick. And the tv is a flat screen with all the good channels. It's really clean on the inside. It's nice what more do you want me to say trip advisor. It's not a roach motel or a rent by the hour place. The people are nice around the area it's not the ghetto

"Nice Hotel"

The bed was nice and comfortable and the room was quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay there again if in the area. The room was clean. The bathrooms were small, but clean. Gave us a bag of bottled water, a banana and an apple to take with us.

"THIS WAS A TRIPADVISOR MOTEL OF THE YEAR"
Myrna S, 20 Avril 2016

We have had a lot of breakfasts in hotel, motels over the past few years and this was the best of all. It was so clean I think you could eat off the floor. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable along with good pillows. The lady that checked us in was a wonderful person with all the information necessary to make our stay a good one. I recommend this motel as a good one

"What a nice stop!"
Michael E, 08 Avril 2016

I was shocked at how nice this little motel was. It had a nicely updated bathroom, the bed was comfortable, and the TV was a nice size for viewing. The room rate was also pleasing. I easily would recommend this as a nice haven for the evening.

"Pleasantly Surprised"
Kris M, 06 Avril 2016

I hadn't stayed in a motel in years, so was a little hesitant about this location. From the moment we turned onto the property, you could see that it was well maintained and cared for. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, updated, and had lovely prints of South Dakota landscape on the walls. Being such a remote location, I was not expecting much for breakfast options, but again was pleasantly surprised with hot breakfast options. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

"Great Hotel!"
Sarah C, 04 Avril 2016

We chose to stay at Grahams on our way to Mount Rushmore. It was a great place to rest our heads the breakfast was good and hot. Would stay there again if we were in the area. Lots to do wish we would've gone to see the car museum but the weather was not in our favor.

"Comfy bed in a snowstorm!"
Y3907ZKrachelh, 04 Avril 2016

This was a lucky find in the middle of a late spring snowstorm - and a very pleasant surprise! Helpful staff provided a late night snack of milk and yogurt, and there was popcorn and pop in the vending machine. A hot, well-presented breakfast got us on our way in the morning.

"Gave away our reserved room!!"
Shannon H, 01 Avril 2016

We reserved a room over a month in advance for a king bed and when we arrived they had given away our room and told us all they had left was a room with two full beds instead. They gave away the room that we reserved. Absolutely awful service.

"Excellent little place"
Diana C, 28 Mars 2016

Room was very clean and very well maintained, staff was excellent, rooms were small but it was all I needed. The hotel is in the middle of South Dakota and I needed a place to stay because of bad roads, I was very impressed!

"Motel with clean but small room"
Tom S, 10 Mars 2016

Clean property & room. This is a motel with small standard rooms only large enough for 1-2 people. Heater was a little funky but bed was comfortable and hotel staff were nice. Good choice for traveling business or truckers.

"Great Place for overnight stay!"
Laura S, 09 Mars 2016

The staff at this location were exceptional!!! The rooms were a bit small, but the king size bed we had was Awesome. We had stayed the previous 7 nights elsewhere and I finally got a good night sleep here. Off the beaten path, but nice and quiet.

"Really Good place to stay!"
Thomas W, 08 Mars 2016

This motel is an excellent example of what can be done eith a floor plan from the 1950's. The owners have updated every detail - paint ,bathroom, lights, TV, king bed, to the best of today's standards for a travel motel. The people were very friendly, they had a really good breakfast, and a very nice room that you could park in front of and walk into your room.

"Very nice room"
spinwear, 24 Février 2016

Very friendly staff, pillow-top comfortable mattress, very nice room. So glad we stayed here. Would definitely recommend this motel to others. Very quiet. Price was reasonable, good internet, adequate breakfast. Linens were so soft. I love parking right in front of the door.

"Good Place to Stay"
1978HappyTraveler, 21 Février 2016

Newly remodeled rooms are very comfortable, the beds are excellent, towels & linens are soft! Good internet connection, breakfast was good, CLEAN quiet rooms. Friendly outgoing staff, I would recommend over any of the other motels in Murdo!

"Comfortable and reasonably priced"
Kathy D, 15 Février 2016

Graham's is a comfortable motel and I slept very well. We usually stay here when going through this area rather than closer to Rapid City where the prices are considerably higher. You can park right in front of the door so it is very convenient. Staff is always friendly and breakfast is fine.

"Honest and decent people"
timothymnmjc, 13 Février 2016

Driving across the country from Florida to Idaho trying to make it in three days this was a late evening stop off the highway. Cold night and very tired the receptionist was kind and friendly. My room was clean, warm and a home feel to it. Dated room but all clean linens, clean bathroom and just a nice comfortable feel. A nice early breakfast and off I went. A couple days later I realized I left a gold anniversary watch there. A 1,000 dollar watch that my wife gave to me. I called them and they had been trying to reach me but my voicemail was full. They sent the watch home to me in two days. I was very thankful for their honesty and goodness. Its great to see people who still care and have a kind soul. By the way Rustys down the street had a great Bacon Cheeseburger.

"Great Start to our vacation"
Luv2FishAlways, 09 Février 2016

My mom and I took 4 grandkids on a vacation and stayed here out first night. Everything was great, although they thought the pool was alittle chilly. Across the street is Prairie Pizza which is very yummy. Ordered it over the phone, walked across the street to pick it up and there were nice outdoor tables by the pool to eat at. The front desk person was very helpful with many questions we had. Would definately stay here again!!

"Nice Place after a long ride"
DisappointedAgain3, 27 Décembre 2015

We had left Deadwood late in afternoon and made it to Murdo. We chose the Best Western because we had stayed here before. The rooms were newly done and had the most comfortable beds and pillows. Very Clean and the breakfast was very good. Eggs, Cheese and Sausage on a English Muffin. Better than McDonalds. Fruit, yogurt, Cereal, Toast , Rolls, Etc. Very good variety. Had a very nice dog area cleaned out for us behind the buildings. Didnt have to walk through the snow.Would definately stay here again

"Decent and Clean"
Hannah J, 26 Décembre 2015

We drove into Murdo at 6 at night in a white out blizzard on Christmas Day. This was the only hotel open, so it got points for that. Rooms open onto the parking lot, which I never like, and is especially bad when there's drifting snow. Rooms are definitely a little dated. That being said, it's a good place. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable and shower was nice. Seems like a family run place and the staff were all very helpful and kind.

"Surprisingly Nice!"
USPT2012, 21 Décembre 2015

Really friendly, helpful check in staff and pet friendly motel. I travel with 2 working dogs so I prefer to stay in motels with immediate outside access rather than having to take them down hallways or elevators. It's become very hard to find nice motels now and this place was a very pleasant surprise. Very clean, very modern with lots of extras in the rooms. Full breakfast was included though I don't usually bother with it and didn't this time either. My only complaint was that there were tons of loose dogs harassing my leashed dogs. They don't seem to enforce a leash or even a pick up policy and that becomes a hazard to my working dogs. I mentioned it to the housekeeper and got nothing but a shrug. I hope they fix that policy for the safety of all but other than that, a great place to stay and I'll definitely try then again as I'm on that trip every 2 weeks.

"Best Western hotel, Murdo, SD"
Austin B, 18 Décembre 2015

Everything was excellent and I was able to get a perfect night's rest and a good breakfast. The staff were well trained, timely, and polite. I had no problems in the room. Breakfast was served at a time which worked very well with my schedule. I was even given tips on local eateries. I would definitely go back and give this hotel more of my business. Thanks for helping me with my trip!

"Murdo rocks!"
Red B, 17 Décembre 2015

If you're looking for a clean comfortable stay in the heartland of South Dakota...go out of your way to stop here. The ladies are welcoming and helpful to all your needs. The beds! OMG the beds! The most comfortable in all of the Milky Way Galaxy! Stop in and talk Steelers Football with the staff and locals, and enjoy a phenominal breakfast to boot! Never have I seen such loyal fans, and I am from Pittsburgh! Double Tree, Hilton and LaQuinta move aside...the peeps at Graham's have it all!

"Great place for the price"
Capt_America_IA, 03 Novembre 2015

We have stayed here for years while hunting in the area. Very clean and nice for the price. Nothing fancy but great people. The breakfast is basic but good. They allow dogs and have a bird cleaning station

"Good stay in a small town"
MarcosPrairie, 30 Octobre 2015

We were on our way to the Badlands and Black Hills and stayed at the Best Western in Murdo for one night. This is an older motel with outside entry to rooms. However, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. I would rate 5 starts except for the age of the hotel.

"Quick stay, off interstate. Good value, breakfast included"
bshoptaugh, 29 Octobre 2015

Stayed here while driving on I-90. Decided to stop due to construction/rain that permeated trip. Free WiFi, decent value. This is an old-style hotel/motel with street-level buildings surrounding a pool/lobby area. Good value, decent stay. Price $119 Auto museum in Murdo.

"Great Value"
Jean B, 22 Octobre 2015

I chose this motel because of the reviews and the price. The price was so reasonable and I was not disappointed in the room. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the shower drained properly (very important to me). The room also had a refrigerator and microwave, which I appreciated. The breakfast was tasty and the staff was friendly.

"Quick overnight stay"
Thomas M, 19 Octobre 2015

We were on our way back from hunting in Wyoming and needed a place to stay, so we called from I-90 and we got the room we were looking for 3 Queen beds and a sofa bed 140.00 good price for us, room was clean for a quick stay

"Good Breakfast... Fair stay"
MotorBikeDude73, 11 Octobre 2015

The staff was great and friendly. The rooms were spacious. The towels were a bit dingy. The breakfast was great. Overall a good stay, but for what I ended up paying, I would have liked to have a bit more. For over $100 a night, I typically expect more.

"Great stay!"
Linda G, 07 Octobre 2015

While this is an older motel with smaller rooms the friendly, courteous staff outweigh the size of the rooms. Breakfast was wonderful. The location was a bonus with a nice friendly restaurant down the road. The room we had was comfortable, clean, and cheerful. We would stay here again!

"Poor Best Western. $126.00"
James C, 29 Septembre 2015

Old style motel rooms. Pool not open, Breakfast was mediocre at best. $126.00!! Not representative of Best Western. On way back stayed in Murdo SD at Landmark Motel South of I90. $59.00 warm pool open until midnight. Room very well decorated and would definitely stay there again.

"Very clean!!"
Jeffrey T, 20 Septembre 2015

This hotel is super clean with very helpful staff. There is plenty of HOT water and the bathroom drains worked quickly, no clogs or slow tub draining. Breakfast area was very clean and the food selection was excellent. The guest laundry was spotless and the machines appeared as new. Nadine at the front desk was very pleasant, offered helpful suggestions and directions to local restaurants and quick to remedy a minor problem with the room coffee maker. Overall, this is a great place to stay and I would not hesitate to stay there; neither should you!

"Nice stay"
Ju-Ju, 20 Septembre 2015

The rooms are modern looking and very clean. We has 2 queens and the room was spacious and had a small table with 2 chairs. We could pull our vehicle right up to the door. All the usual amenities. They had some play ground equipment for kids. Breakfast was the usual and the attendant was attentive. The staff was friendly. My only complaint would be the towels. They are gray looking.

"Vacation"
245vickil, 14 Septembre 2015

It was an acceptable hotel with nice beds and a recliner internet access for free. It made the room more comfortable. It is a remote area of Wyoming, but we were on our way to see Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Rushmore, and the Tetons. Not a lot of choices for resturants but found one that worked out for us. We were only at this hotel one night moving on to Yellowstone the next day..
