Best Western Plus Tree House

Used to be a great family value and didn't mind the noise and overall age of the property, but cost has increased a lot and they no longer include breakfast. There are other options in Mt Shasta for a better value.

This is a great spot in Mount Shasta. After a day of being in the snow, kids can play in the pool/hot tub. The restaurant is good and overall service is good. Beds are comfortable and the room is clean.

This lodging was very accommodating in all respects. It has a pleasant look that fits right in with the spectacular geography. It's very easy in and out access to I-5, yet quiet. With a restaurant, sports bar combo, there's no reason to leave the facility if one wants to stay put. It's maybe a 10 minute walk to main street, which has some excellent restaurants. Very well managed & staffed.

Best westerns are always my go to hotels. This hotel was such a great stay I loved it, the rooms were clean and spacious, the front desk and housekeeper were very nice and helpful! I love that it is right off the freeway. There's good food places around as well. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

My recent stay at the best western plus's in mt Shasta exceeded my expectations. The room was very spacious as well as very clean. The hotels location is ideal as it's close to the freeway, and very close to downtown which has lots of cute mini shops. Overall it was a highly satisfying stay and will being staying again in the near future.

My recent stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The Great Mountain View of Mt. Shasta from room 338 was absolutely breathtaking, providing a picturesque backdrop for relaxation. With two restaurants offering delectable options for both breakfast and dinner, dining was a delightful experience. The front desk staff went above and beyond, being both nice and incredibly helpful, and their bilingual capabilities made communication effortless. The housekeepers were friendly and ensured that the rooms were impeccably clean, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. Additionally, the rustic feel of the hotel added a charming touch, making it feel like a cozy home away from home. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating retreat amidst stunning natural surroundings.

The service here was amazing. The housekeepers and front desk employees were very friendly and bilingual which was great , felt right at home! The place was very well kept and I enjoyed my stay here. Definitely coming back here next time! It was a great place to stay

Our recent family stay was truly unforgettable. From the warm and attentive staff to the meticulously clean and tastefully decorated rooms, every detail exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect blend of luxury and nature, making our stay in Shasta an enchanting and rejuvenating experience.

We left this hotel with mixed feelings. The hotel is located at the bottom of Mount Shasta, and in order to enjoy the incredible views of the mountain, we paid extra for a “Mountain View” room. After checking in, we went to our room only to discover that the entire first-floor block of rooms sold as “Mountain View” rooms have no such views at all! Indeed - the windows face the mountain, but a line of bushes and another tight line of tall trees completely block the view, so all you can see is the hotel parking lot. I must mention that after complaining at the reception - we were upgraded to a very nice 3rd-floor room with excellent views of the mountain, but why does the hotel sell the blocked-view rooms at a higher price in the first place ? The hotel has a nice swimming pool, a tiny gym, but the price does not include breakfast (which is served at an extra cost at the restaurant).

Is very convenient to I-5. Accepts pets & has good pet area. Good pool, tho rarely do I have time to enjoy it! Requested a specific room and it was reserved for us, a very nice “perk”. Front desk staff was very helpful.

We stayed just one night but will be back. Enormous clean swimming pool and spa was open till 11, perfect way to unwind at the end if the day. Staff was great and helped us make use of our Best Western perks.

Very comfortable clean room, beds were perfect. Vaulted ceiling made it feel like a cabin atmosphere. Pool and hot tub were great. Good location not to far off interstate with walking distance to downtown for drinks, food.

The Treehouse is one of the best Best Western Plus properties I've ever stayed at. The second floor has vaulted ceilings and the first floor has a front porch overlooking the courtyards. Delightful stay with both Tesla and Rivian chargers on site

We were very underwhelmed with breakfast. Very basic breakfast for the price and not that yummy. The coffee was very acidic (taste burnt) and the orange juice is more punch like. Atmosphere feels more like a cafeteria style than resturant. Light background music would help liven up the space. They have a lovely outdoor patio/space but, feels very disconnected from the restaurant and appears not used often.

This is such a quaint place! It has so much wood that adds to its ambiance. Our room was clean and had a beautiful view of Mt. Shasta. We were on the the third floor with a vaulted ceiling. Checking in was very easy and the staff couldn't have been nicer. There is no free breakfast here, but the restaurant was very good.

It has a beautiful view of Mt. Shasta, but those rooms are premium price. We had one on the lowest level, with a small outside sitting area and easy luggage entry into our room. I'd worried that since it's right off the I5 Freeway exit, it would be loud, but it quieted at night. I'm not sure what makes it a BWPlus. We were not offered water upon registering, and there was no provided breakfast as in almost every other BW. I always appreciate charger outlets beside the bed, but these might have been old enough/ loose enough that they would not accommodate ours on either side of the bed. The beds were comfy.

Great location, beds and linens were excellent, room was clean but older in need of upgrading. Mold on the floor and in the shower of the bathroom, carpet coming out of bathroom frayed and pulling up to expose tack strip. Had bottom floor courtyard room, breakfast was expensive, no daily housekeeping unless requested (were not told that until after we inquired why none was given). New mini split set air conditioning worked perfect, not overly noisy. Price was high for size and condition of room. If you have an electric vehicle you will love the # of charging options, about 10 I think.

Great Service, large suites, and amazing décor. I loved the rustic cabin look of this hotel. The service was great and if you're lucky enough to stop by on a clear day you'll be in the direct shadow of Mt. Shasta in all her natural glory. The Treehouse Restaurant was good, but understaffed, and high priced for what it was. Also, the beds were kind of hard but not so much so that your back hurt in the morning. Overall, I recommend this hotel especially since my family and I stayed there twice within a month.

We have stayed at the Tree House many times over past 20+ years. Price has steadily increased as the facilities have deteriorated. The entry to room (218) which we were assigned was roped off because of construction. We did get around the rope and gained access to a very shabby room with worn out furniture and window so stained you could hardly see through it. There is more, but the point is many years ago the Tree House was great. Now it is a dump.

Welcoming friendly front desk staff. Clean room. Nice comfortable beds. Internet and TV work well. Decor, towels etc a little tired but clean. Dog friendly. Spacious room. Nearby Black Bear pub is good value

We stayed here during a ski trip. Great hotel but saddened that the advertised pool and hot tub was closed. Location is convenient and rooms are comfortable. Being able to access the room from the parking area was great for traveling with ski gear.

It was okay for one night stay. Double charged for breakfast. Breakfast wasn't buffet. Service wasn't great. Rooms are dated. Will stay other place next time. It wasn't worth $250. Heater was so loud, couldn't sleep.

The Treehouse in Mt. Shasta is amazing. The best, most friendly staff. Check in and out front desk staff were accommodating and acknowledged my Platinum status. Food is both restaurants was so yummy. Rooms clean and welcoming. I cant wait to go back.

First time here... shasta is great.. this place is great.. all the staff are helpful.. the food was killer.. there's this maintenance man who works there he helped with our luggage and gave us great directions.. we will stay here again..

Being in a BW Plus we were shown to the breakfast room not made aware that the breakfast was full service without discount. The door from the parking lot led into the room without a mat on either side to clean the shoes. Inside was a 2X2 tiled section. The carpet was unclean and worn where it met the carpet. Lobby and interior need a little face lift.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, and super convenient location to Mt Shasta Ski Mountain, restaurants and entertainment, plus great rates and most important family friendly. Their restaurant, lounge, pool, and large hot tub are extra added bonuses! Everything one may need for a comfortable and fun stay is on location. We are looking forward to our next visit and as always staying at the Best Western Plus Tree House!

If you like dirty carpet this is your place. Don't use the vending machines they like to take money but they don't like to give you what you paid for. Showed up at the restaurant that says "please wait to be seated" to a young man attending that counter. He just stared at us and I thought it was obvious but since no one was saying anything I decided to say "a table for two please". He then told me there was a private party and my underage son and I could find our own seat in the lounge. We were given menus but had to watch the wait staff prep for the next day until they were willing to take even a drink order. Not personable at all. Was our first stay here and our last, will be definitely trying out another spot when we come back next month to ski again.

Best place in town as far as location to the city and view of the mountain. It was Thanksgiving and nobody was serving dinner in the area. The meal at the hotel was amazing. Loved the stay and will be back.

Mt. Shasta is so close. It was beautiful outside our window. We were graciously welcomed at check in. The room was large and spotless. We enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant in the lobby. Very comfortable furnishings. People were using the indoor pool. Be aware there is no elevator.

Clean, friendly, dog friendly. Wonderful. The restaurant is fantastic both in service and quality of the meals. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We use this motel as a stop over our our way to visit family in Bend. Always superior.

Overall a nice hotel. The rooms are clean but I little dated. Easy on and off the freeway, walking distance from downtown Mount Shasta city. My biggest issue with this hotel is there is no breakfast. I'm a breakfast person and I do not like to drive around looking for restaurants in new towns for breakfast. There is a there is a restaurant next to the hotel lobby but there is no discount for eating there.

Do you want me to write 200 characters to describe how horrible the bed was. I have slept at so many hotels, motels, resorts this/these mattresses are the worst I've ever tried to sleep on. Hotel was pretty and nice to look at a good location. The only staff I encountered was the clerk when checking in she was nice and accommodating. For a hotel that you are spending 200+ a night to stay should have better quality mattresses!!!

What a shame that this otherwise good hotel would have this problem. Also amazed that I didn't see any customer warnings about this on Trip Advisor. My wife and I stayed here on 10/3/22. There was a loud train roaring by every two hours during the night making any attempt at a good night's sleep impossible. After cleanliness this is the most important thing a hotel can provide but impossible to do here. Other than that the luggage ramp required for luggage cart access in the back wing is really hard to navigate.

We had a late check in and the receptionist was kind and helpful :) my little girl really wanted to swim despite me being exhausted and it being 10:30pm! But the kind lady got us a room close to the pool making life easier for this exhausted mom trying to make the traveling fun for a 4 year old daughter. After long time on the road it is so nice to be greeted with kindness and compassion

Had a few problems checking in and out. Could not check in early and system was down when checking out (wanted to apply travel card). Employees always seem busy and provided poor customer service. WiFi did not work at all the entire time. I tried multiple devices with several advanced troubleshooting techniques. I created an online ticket which was never addressed. Location was good, near the main roads. The guest card still says grab and go breakfast, however when asked they will say they don't offer it anymore. There is a restaurant inside the hotel but it was pricey. There is a Mexican restaurant across the street or the Black Bear diner (highly recommend), both within walking distance. It would be nice if they realized the value of offering a free meal or at least credit towards that restaurant. The pool and spa was nice. Large area with towels.

Such beautiful wood throughout the hotel. A nice warm feel to the place. Very clean. Comfortable bed and a nice big room. The restaurant was very good and nice to have right on the premises. A plus is, across the street are two more restaurants, movie theater, grocery store, pharmacy, auto parts, two gas stations and a Starbucks. And electric car charging. The staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. I really can't say anything bad about the place, I will stay here again.

Picturesque hotel nestled in a drab town. Unique woodcraft. Good size rooms. Early early morning coffee. The restaurant is a standout and serves excellent food with style. Superb service. Friendly and accommodating staff. Plenty of parking. This is a find and recommended.

Big, green area to walk doggies; was not near any roads. Hotel provided station with bags and trash basket. Especially important for medium to big dogs who take a few minutes to sniff around. Restaurant and bar were commendable.

Four of us stayed here on 8/14/22 in rooms 221 and 223. It was our second stay at this hotel. Check in was poor the gentleman who checked us in was indifferent at best and did not explain the basics (breakfast, pool, how to easily get to our rooms) or acknowledge our BW status. Luckily the bellman who was there was excellent in explaining the basics and getting us to our rooms. Note: Two of the buildings have only two stories and NO elevators. The only elevator is in the three story building. The pool was very nice. Our rooms were good sized, clean had a microwave, fridge (no freezer) , TV, phone and coffee maker. The bathroom sink is outside the sink/toilet area. Our rooms were quiet. The phone in 223 did not work. The was a business center with computes and printers which was useful. The hotel does not provide either a free breakfast or breakfast credit but does provide free coffee in the morning. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good and we had breakfast and dinner there.

We stayed at Tree House for our company staff retreat and it was a great experience. The rooms are clean and the staff members are hospitable and warm. I would like to commend Darian who was the most patient one in fulfilling all our company folio requests. She did not hesitate to asssit even though It was a lot for her to do. Darian had sent me everything quickly and hassle free. I will definitely come back here!

The staff really make this place 5-star. Roxanne was especially incredible, helping my friends gather quarters for the laundry since the hotel didn't have any to make change. The town's businesses were also unwilling to change for quarters. Roxanne went above and beyond for us! She was friendly, kind, and gathered quarters from all her colleagues for us. Amazing!! The only reason I am giving this hotel 4 stars instead of 5 is because they beams in the room were dusty and I have asthma. It's an easy fix though.

Hotel is grimy. Room was okay, but refrigerator handle had dried food on it. Clearly not sanitizing as well as they could. Shiny surfaces throughout the hotel were streaky and not clean. Hotel is in need of a good refurbishment. Went to breakfast in the dining room and watched a dishwasher/cook come in to work in dirty pants and a t shirt. Came out and washed his hands briefly, dried them partially on a towel and wiped the remaining moisture on his dirty pants. Restaurant server was the only highlight and very friendly. Beds are hard, very hard. Paid almost $300 for one night for the above. Not happy.

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient to everything (freeway, downtown of Mt.Shasta City, local restaurants, Mt. Shasta and lakes around) The hotel is properly managed and showing its hospitality to all of the customers. Safe and comfortable environment.

This hotel is an older property that is post and beam and all wood work, walls ceilings all wood. Probably built in the 60's, it has been maintained about as well as such a structure could be maintained. The room we had was a suite with a bedroom. It was clean and comfortable. It is dated so don't expect it to be. Walls are a little thin as I could hear the tv in the other room. The guests were all very quiet and retired early. Staff nice. No breakfast (to speak of) was provided (grab bag).

Lovely friendly hotel. Spacious and clean rooms with amazing view from the balcony. Great food and beer choices in the hotel with several other options locally. The hotel also has a fantastic (and much needed) pool and jacuzzi. Definitely worth a visit.

I was here for a work trip, and the stay was great. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Mt Shast looks like it's across the street. The food at the restaurant was great( try the Pulled pork sandwich)

Patios with views of Mt. Shasta. The grounds are kept very nicely. Rooms are well appointed. Wonderful staff. Restaurant on site. Pool and jacuzzi are nice. No elevator though. Walking distance to a shopping center. The first Black Bear Diner is 2 blocks away.

Hotel is located with a pretty view of Mt Shasta. Hotel was kept up and clean. Just be careful of dog relief area. My dog got two awful stickers that made his paws bleed pretty bad. Was disappointing that it was a plus and they didn't have a breakfast

Excellent service. No surprises. Great view of Mt. Shasta. Several dining opportunities within walking distance and in the hotel. Plenty of parking was available around the perimeter of the hotel. Luggage carriers were available at elevators. Very well layed out property.

There are a lot of great things about the Tree House. We loved the restaurant for breakfast--but it wasn't included like it is in most Best Westerns. We loved the thought of heading to the bar at the end of the day--but it closed at 9:00pm. We spent extra to get a "Mountain View Room with a Balcony"--and, of course, Mt.Shasta is fabulous--but the view also included the whole top of the hotel (vents and such). The restaurant and front desk staff were friendly and attentive--but our whole 4 days and 3 nights, maid service did not ONCE come by our room to empty trash and replace used up items and well-used towels. The location is convenient to the freeway and anyplace you want to go in the area. I think, paying over $300 a night, I expected a lot more.

This place was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The room was nice and clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The restaurant was so good, even if I don't end up staying the night here again I would come to the restaurant.

This was our 30th plus stay at the Tree House. Says something, doesn't it? More words aren't necessary. I do wish they would extend the courtesy of the military discounts as they have done in the past.

This is not your typical Best Western. The woodwork and decor was very lovely and echoed the surrounding natural beauty of Mt.Shasta. The on-site restaurant was nice. My only complaint (which is negligible) is none of the employees seemed to be very into their jobs. Very blasé

This is a unique and special facility, definitely not a cookie cutter Best Western. The woodwork and some handmade furniture are notable. I didn't get to use the indoor pool, but it looks fabulous. The restaurant has great food and a great view of Mt Shasta. The view from our balcony room was amazing. This was our second stay here, and I hope for more.

It is our stop between Portland and Pacifica about 3 times a year. Comfortable. Convenient. Great staff. Restaurant is excellent. It makes a long drive very pleasant. And the view is breathtaking. We look forward to staying there and having great meals.

Extremely rude lady seated us in the corner. Asked wether they could give us a window seat since there are some empties. She goes “it's Mother's Day, you forgot it's Mother's Day? We have lots of reservations blah blah, did you call your mom?” To say that is super rude and disrespectful. I would have fired her immediately if she was my employee.

We didn't really expect to find a room on our long trip home. We snagged a "mountain view" room. It was nicely sized with lots of room for our luggage and other traveling gear. I should have taken the map offered at check in because this place is huge and like a maze of hallways and additions. We managed to get lost a couple of times trying to find the restaurant, but it wasn't long before we figured it out. Our neighbors had a noisy baby that cried a lot, but after a trip to the bar we didn't really care and slept just fine. The "mountain view" was a view of the rest of the hotel roofs and the mountain was hiding in the snowstorm clouds, so keep that in mind if paying the premium $$$ for a view. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and roomy.

I can't say enough good things about our stay. This hotel is in a picturesque location with Mt. Shasta visible on a clear day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a nice size with a patio outside our room. The hotel has a large bar and dining room with good food so you don't have to go out. There is easy access to the freeway and stores are nearby. .

The hotel stay was fine, the rooms were clean but dated. The restaurant and lounge close early, we arrived just after 10 and everything was closed. We appreciated the front desk agent accommodated our request for a first floor room.

The town of Mt Shasta is set up so that the main street has a stunning view of Mt. Shasta. Walk anywhere, and the snow capped peak dominates the day. So, of course, when the Best Western offered a room facing the mountain with a view, I grabbed the reservation. Sadly, however, the "View" was of the row of hotel rooms facing the mountain. No a view at all. The failed promises continued when we were told that there was no Breakfast offered and that we should, "get a reservation for the restaurant in the hotel early because it's a busy weekend." One of the sales points for Best Western is the consistently pleasant breakfast bar and area. Disappointing.

We where traveling from Washington State to visit family in King City California. It's a long drive so we decided to stop here and get a hotel after driving for 8 hours . It was around 9 pm and we didn't have a reservation but hoped a room would be available. The women at the front desk was so kind and helpful I appreciated her quickness as well because I was so tired after this long drive. She got me the perfect room with 2 queen beds and 1 king perfect for our family. The beds were comfy the room spacious. The only downside was our room had a connecting door and we could here the people next to us opening and closing doors loudly and their baby being real fussy, but it's a baby and we understand. It was a good thing I was so tired that I fell asleep pretty fast .In the morning we grabbed the breakfast bags they offered. I think you should consider maybe having a muffin or a bagel with cream cheese and small juice in the bags two of the bags had apples with rotten spots on them. I sent an email when I got back home because we lost a pair of AirPod Pros and wanted to check if we left them at the hotel but have never received a response back . I hope to revisit here and stay a few days to explore this beautiful area.

This is a very attractive and convenient place to stay. We were happy to have a room with an interior hall leading to registration and dining. The motel has made use of different kinds of wood found in the area. There was no continental breakfast but the in house restaurant was very attractive and reasonably priced. Our evening dinner was excellent. I would highly recommend this facility. We did not use the very large indoor pool and hot tub but observed others having a nice time.

Traveling with a small utility trailer and 2 dogs. This place is excellent! Lovely rooms, great restaurant, grocery store next door, easy parking, helpful and friendly staff. Definitely coming back here. Oh and great internet which has been tough on this trip.

Excellent locationTesla supercharger readily available and the staff are very friendly and helpful in getting everything you need into your rooms. It's very cold so we're nice warm jacket before you venture over to this hotel.

We have been staying here for over 30 years and have always loved it, but I will say it has become even better!!! New owners took over some years ago and they have taken it to a new level. The hotel is clean and the service is so wonderful. They have updated the restaurant and bar and the staff is ALWAYS really friendly and helpful. This last visit was even better and we had a server in the restaurant that was so spectacular, thank you Roxane for being so friendly and such a great server, can't wait for our next visit!

I always enjoy staying at the Treehouse. Friendly, helpful staff, dog friendly, great restaurant and bar, ample parking and great entry/exit options for the rooms. I stay here as much as possible. Thank you.

My wife and I have used this facility before, and that is why we come back. Close to I-5, a restaurant and bar within the hotel. A cute small town is just a nice place to spend an extra day. They have a very nice pet area.

Came for a birthday weekend snowboarding trip with my family. The hotel is cute, quaint, and the perfect amount of rustic. I loved the cabin feel and the interior decorations. The front desk gentlemen that checked me in was very professional and kind. Actually, all of the front desk staff that I encountered throughout my stay were professional, kind, and courteous. The room was decent. I couldn't complain for the price I paid. Although, I had requested a top floor room....which I understand is a request, however, it was hardly a "mountain view". It was more..."pine tree view", as there was a big pine tree blocking our view of the mountain. With that being said, it wasn't a big deal and I will definitely be back!

Veterance don't stay at this place, the staff is very rude to us. And the the breakfast is a sack bag. This place will give a price over the phone and when you arrive at this place they charge you more.

Room was decent for this level of Best Western, staff were friendly and attentive. We appreciated having a quiet mini split instead of the usual loud heaters. This is definitely the lowest level of COVID safety we've seen in the past two years. None of the guests are asked wear masks in the lobby or halls when they swagger past the signs. The restaurant and bar that open onto the lobby are packed like it's 2019. We'll be happy to hit the road and head to safer hotels for our kids.

We travel with a small dog, so having a large dog area was nice. The rooms were good size but perhaps could use a freshening up. I would recommend a room on the first floor, you can exit into the hall or use the back door and go straight to your car. The staff was friendly.

The BW Plus Tree House Hotel is a magically peaceful escape directly under Mt. Shasta. The hotel is similar to a mountain lodge reminiscent of a European setting. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The dining room is beautiful attended by servers bringing patrons high quality meals from an excellent kitchen staff. The bar lounge is relaxing and spacious. The cleaning staff maintains the hotel to high standards. You cannot escape the energy emanating from Mt. Shasta in view outside the room window.

Front desk night staff named Brian was rude and started our stay off wrong then the woman after was just like him. We paid for breakfast but were treated as if we were trying to steal something. Then we didn't have cash so we asked the front desk if we could buy water bottles since vending machines didn't take card and my son was told by front desk she would bring water up and never did. We were snowed in so this was frustrating as we were all thirsty. Housekeepers and waitress were more respectful then the faces who greet you. It seems from seeing their interactions with others that because I wasn't dressed the part that I didn't deserve better treatment. I am a buisness owner of a trucking company and was very tired after a long drive through snow and ice. Staff should treat every guest paying that cones through the doors equally.

Beautiful property that is perfect for me and my dogs Joe at checkin always goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable in a ground floor room with outside access Mountain views and freeway nearby

Really enjoyed our stay at the tree house! Thanks to the kind and friendly staff, we felt welcome and valued. Checked in just in time to catch the alpine glow of the setting sun on Mt. Shasta from our balcony! Although there was a Black Bear diner across the street, we appreciated the on site restaurant to grab a bite before hitting the sack- french dip sandwich and chocolate mousse cake were pricy, but tasty, and the best part was we didn't have to leave hotel. Did we mention pet friendly, too? Real gem.

The hotel is dusty and the sheets are itchy. The shower water felt murky . There is too many dogs running around, pooping and throwing up all over. There is racism in the area. They have a dinner but no free breakfast like other Best Westerns. For the price is not the greatest you are better off at a motel.

About me: I don't think I've ever written a Tripadvisor review and I really like Best Westerns! HOWEVER, I am making a point to write this review even before I've left the aging, dingy premises. I am not a "fancy person; I enjoy Top Ramen, yet I am mystified how this fading hotel is a Best Western, much less a PLUS. My fault for not checking that there was a complimentary hot breakfast, since I've never heard of a BW that didn't offer that. Now I have - want to eat? Pay up, sucker! I am bummed - I wanted to find a new "home base" in the Mt Shasta area. I will keep looking; this is definitely not it.

The BW Plus Tree House exceeded my expectations. The entire staff was exceptional. A restaurant is located on the premises so no need to leave your hotel. The food was delicious to boot. Conveniently located right off of I5. If you want to be treated to a high end hotel at a reasonable price, look no further. They do not disappoint. One of my top 3 Best Westerns.

Beautiful hotel and area. Mt shasta was pretty.. The employees and guest's were very nice. Restrant on site was nice.. Overall it was a good experience and i plan to stay there on the future as well as explore the area.

After an 8 hr drive, it was nice to arrive to a clean and updated room. The bed was very comfortable. The challenge is the mask requirements. It seems to be very casual...that is challenging. We elected to stay in our room and eat our own food. Getting coffee the next morning was hard, places were crowded and very few people wore mask or did social distancing.

The 2 Q/1K “suite” has no sitting area & only 1 bathrm the pics shown online are of the K/K 2room suite shows a sitting area & kitchenette our family needed 3 beds so no switch they did nothing to make amends and admit the photos are deceiving. They offered us to use the lobby to visit- we wanted to sit around in our pajamas and have private conversations hence booking the suite and not adjoining rooms. The roof in the pool was leaking and clearly has been for some time - no big deal except for the rust dripping in

Easy on/off I-5, several parking options (towing and larger vehicles), both inside and direct outside room access, great area to walk the dogs and interior decor is a little dated but clean and you can see updates are being done. This is our third visit, and we will be back! The staff were very accommodating and fun to work with, and the adjacent restaurant had great food and several on-tap beer options!

This is not a typical hotel/stay. Mountain lodge feel. Great service. Cozy, relaxing hotel. Great food selection/full bar at the restaurant and lounge. Always look forward to our stay. Hope they have live entertainment soon

The exterior of the hotel is well kept, pleasing lobby, very nice on site restaurant. The room was clean, not much of a view, but convenient 2 entry doors, one to indoor hallway and one to parking lot. Staff was friendly. 1 star reduction for improperly working bathroom fixtures. The stopper of the bathtub didn't work, the faucet and shower head didn't work separately. When I tried to shower the faucet would also run, and when I tried to run water into the tub for a bath, the shower head also was leaking. This is annoying and wasting water. Breakfast in a bag was an apple, granola bar, and water. That's about the worst breakfast I've had in any hotel. The next night I was staying in a BW, they had a great full breakfast. It wasn't even a BW Plus! If this hotel wants to earn their “plus” they have some work to do!

really like the basic bones of this hotel. it is well situated, with nice people working there, clean rooms, and views of Mount Shasta. Was disappointed during last stay when loud drilling and hammering sounds nest door went on until 7 PM the day I got there and started before I wanted too wake up the next morning. Very unpleasant to be in room while that is going on. TV could not compete with hammering and construction noise. Had a headache when I left. They should not start doing this so early and continue it so late that you only have a few waking hours to enjoy the room without horrible noise nearby.

This was a seamless stay for us. The room was larger than a normal Best Western, the view was fantastic and the staff put in extra effort to help us with rewards credit. We were up for a wedding in McCloud. I have climbed Shasta and seeing it outside our window made me want to do it again. This well definitely be the hotel I stay in for that!

Tree House (definitely get a Mountain View room) has the best view of Mount Shasta. Sunset was amazing! Hotel was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff, and is pet friendly. Kitschy mountain lodge vibe, with updated rooms.

This hotel was so clean and comfortable! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has excellent food! And there's grab and go for breakfast at the front desk if you need it. Will definitely stay here again!

Upon arrival the room was extremely dirty. The bathroom floor was sticky microwave at greasy fingerprints all over it all the doors were covered with grease and dirt. Tops of lamps were dusty as well as tables and furniture tops. This was an extreme health hazard.

Really enjoyed our stay here at the Tree House Inn. The room was clean & fresh (even though it was a room that allowed pets), that opened on to a nice courtyard. Courtyard got a little noisy in the a.m. with an older woman's (old enough to know better) obnoxious laugh & plans for the day bellowed out at 8 a.m., but that's her discourtesy & not the hotel's fault. Pool was great fun for the grandkids, indoors & very clean, a nice break from the heavy smoke in the area.

Staff was all friendly, from check in to the restaurant. Clean! The food was excellent from Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Definitely a great place to stay! The hotel is beautiful inside with all of the woodwork!

We have never had better, kinder service! We were desperately looking for accomodations at 11pm and the gentleman who answered at this BW, Joe, couldn't have been nicer to us. We really appreciated it.

Hotel staff were amazing. The pool was too cold to swim in but all other services were good. Hotel is expensive but there is not lot to choose from so supply of and demand! Would come back. That's it ok

While I did enjoy the "treehouse" vibe of the common areas, our room and overall stay were a big disappointment, especially for the price. I do think had the room we were assigned been in a better location, we might have had a better experience. We backed up to the parking lot/freeway and had traffic noise, no view, no porch with chairs, no grass area...none of the positives that I saw in some of the other rooms that might have contributed to a more pleasurable experience. The room was $300+ a night but felt like a $150/night kind of place. It felt like staying at a cheap roadside motel. The decor was outdated and while there was a used cigarette waiting to greet us on the windowsill of our outdoor entry, the interior of the room looked clean at first, until we realized our kids' bare feet were getting dirty from the carpet. I'm so surprised this place has such good reviews, especially considering the cost. I felt compelled to write a review.

The outside was very clean, as well as our room. The room itself was dark, but I like that in a hotel room. The front desk staff was friendly and the Wi-Fi worked. However, on the 2nd day housekeeping never came and we had to ask the hotel staff (after attending a funeral) to please come take the trash, as it was overflowing. They informed us they do not do housekeeping anymore unless requested. We then went to relax in the pool and hot tub, but again, they informed us the heater was out, and both were ice cold. I paid over $300 per night at this hotel and do not feel it was worth it at all. Over $700 with fees for two nights and there's no housekeeping, no pool or hot tub, no breakfast?

The first time we stayed at this hotel was at the onset of Covid-19. It was extremely clean, the surfaces sparkled, and our room smelled of bleach, which was welcomed. We cannot say the same for our subsequent stays. We step in and there is always a "What's that smell?" It just does not smell clean. It looks clean and I wish the air reflected that. Also, when traveling with our small dog, she tends to gravitate to smells or crumbs under the beds. I would stay again as it is a comfortable stay and it is convenient to have a restaurant and lounge on the premises. The staff are friendly. During our last visit to the restaurant the service was a bit slow however the restaurant and lounge were busy. The hotel had no vacancy. It is a great stop in between Southern California and Washington State. I rated it only average for location but that's only because there are panhandlers in the local business area. I see that though as fault of the city management.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Great location with great views. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant and bar were nice as well. I would like to visit for a longer time next time I go.

was coming off a week of camping in a tent - had a great room and view of the Mt Shasta - there were fires nearby so lot of smoke. The bed was comfortable also used their indoor Jacuzzi but the pool was a little chilly for me.

I have been coming to Mt Shasta for my birthday for the last 7 years and the Tree House Inn is the best! I have stayed at other hotels in the area and there is no comparison. The staff are helpful and I feel like family when I stay here. I've never had a bad experience.

From the time I checked out, my stay here could not have been better. Excellent service from the front desk staff. Beautiful lobby and restaurant area. I had a number of requests of the hotel as I had been evacuated from my home due to a wildfire. All my requests were met efficiently and courteously. I kept having to extend the nights I needed to stay and The front desk clerk was able to keep me in my same room each night. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. All of the staff saw to it that my needs were met in my time of need. Great facility! If you want a great place to stay in Mt. Shasta stay at the B.W. Treehouse. Thank you all!

Excellent local knowledge at front desk was extremely helpful. Reviews must be 200 characters, so here's some blah-de-blah to satisfy the stupid requirements of the CIO of some moronic company. It was a good stay. Let me say it succinctly without imposing idiotic requirements.

Our radiator went out a few miles north of Mt. Shasta City, forcing us to stop for repairs. When we learned we'd have to leave the car overnight, we found Dina at the counter, who took us under her wing. She was able to find us a room despite the "lodge full" sign out front. We were lucky, RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST HERE. When the repair pushed out an additional day, she made sure we had a room. She couldn't have been nicer in giving us terrific recommendations about everything this beautiful town has to offer. The Best Western Plus is a high-end 3-star hotel. The lodge has a rustic decor with many hand-hewn wood features. Our room was spacious, clean and had modern mini-split A/C, allowing us to set the temperature we wanted. Beds were quite comfortable. Can't comment on the Tree House restaurant, as it was closed for remodeling. But there are many good restaurants in Mt. Shasta City, including the Puerto Vallarta across the street. Other unexpectedly good restaurants are about a quarter mile away on the town's main street.

We stopped for one night on our way from Sonoma to Portland. The room was adequate, clean, towels and bed linens were okay. The front desk staff were efficient. Joey was pleasant and came immediately to help us work the room heat/AC. The restaurant was closed for renovation, but I thought BW did the best they could to offer a pay-for breakfast giving 3 meal choices. Coffee and juices were offered as options, but only one could be included in your choice. Otherwise, the cost is extra. Oh, well!

The hotel is quite nice and interesting, the location is perfect in a great location. We walked in after an accident on the road, the staff greeted us with compassion and empathy (shoutout to Takoda!) and we finally got some rest. Also got great recommendations to get more help from locals.

when we travel and stay at Hotels we stay at Best Westerns because of there staff friendliness and professionalism and the rooms are always clean and comfortable a lot of the Best Westerns have been remodeled

This was my third stay at this Best Western. I recognized two of the staff members and am pleased this property is stable and keeps good people. Joe was particularly helpful crediting gift cards to my bill. This place is just off the freeway, has ample parking, nice units usually of good value - we were there weekend of Memorial Day and it was the highest rate I've paid, but I didn't want to stay elsewhere. I like the in-house restaurant though this time we ate just down the road walking to the Black Bear Diner.

We regularly travel with our two very well behaved (and potty trained) dogs, and have had some issues with the cleanliness of the pet rooms we have been given at other hotels, but NOT HERE! The room was clean and fresh. The staff was extremely helpful and gave the dogs treats at check in. The large, grassy pet areas were very nice and clean. The hotel itself is lovely- probably the nicest Best Western I've ever been to. This is definitely our new go to hotel when passing through the area.

We had amazing stay at the Best Western. The staff was great and apart from all this we had an emergency situation that had responded to and with and we are very thankful for all their help. Thank you again and would recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed here one night. The outside looked great. Snd being tired we were happy here was a restaurant on site. The hotel is very large and not particularly friendly for those with mobility issues. Our room was dark and depressing. It was a garden room with exterior access. He exterior door had 3 deadbolts snd a thick heavy chain. The interior door had two deadbolts and a chain. Didn't exactly inspire confidence in our safety.

We did NOT want to stay at a hotel in the town of Weed, it looked like some people were living there just during a drive-by. We saw this place right from the freeway and they had plenty room for us to park while towing a boat.Nice drive through parking spaces and parking lot. It was nice from the moment we walked in the door. The decor is fantastic. It is so good staying there on our way up to Oregon that we made sure we came back to it on our way back from Oregon.

We use this hotel to pass though on our trips up and down the western I-5 corridor as kind of a half way point. It's nice enough to actually be a destination and we always look forward to our stop here.

This is probably the nicest hotel in the town of Mount Shasta. The hotel has an indoor pool, jacuzzi spa, guest laundry, restaurant, bar lounge, and rooms with views of Mount Shasta. If you are travelling on I-5 through California, Oregon, and Washington, and need a place to stay for a few days, this is definitely the place to do just that.

This hotel is very beautiful, high up in Mt. Shasta City. The air is clear, Mt. Shasta is beautiful and the scenery beautiful. I have no idea what kind of things are available to do, but I know family there, now, and they are into camping, fishing, hiking, and more adventure taking, so you can read into that all you want/

The price value was horrible! Not $200 a night room. Appliances dont work correctly, Hot Water seems shared not always hot. Dank and Dark Rooms, Small Pillows and stains on pillow cases, Small TVs Not Worth it stay the night in your car would be more comfortable Had to move in middle of night due to broken refrigerator and I am diabetic and needed it cant believe they do not have a spare one on stand by

In the midst of the pandemic. Not very welcoming also not wearing a mask. They don't ask their other patrons to mask either. I didn't feel safe here. The rooms are worn and need to be updated from 1970. Right off the freeway and has a Tesla charger. Other than that. I'd stay elsewhere next time

We book this hotel since it is the only hotel close to Mt. Shasta that is conveniently located near the freeway. We paid $216 to get a Mountain View but we were not expecting to have an outdated room. The pillow case had stain and bathroom were old and rusty. We stopped in Mt Shasta on our way to Southern California. What a great find! Beautiful gardens and great restaurant on premises. There is a train that goes by and you can hear the whistle, but it didn't disturb our sleep. Overall a fun stop and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Stayed here overnight while drive up to Seattle. The hotel was conveniently located by the freeway, though no freeway noise was noticeable from my room. I appreciated the ability to pull up in front of the room with my car, giving me peace of mind. The hotel itself was very clean, they were very clear about mask policies, and the staff I encountered at the front desk was wonderful. The room was clean and a notch above the average hotel room - thoughtfully decorated with a comfortable bed. A really bright spot on a long drive. Walking distance to downtown with lots of dining options.

Excellent location near the freeway, with attentive, service orientated staff. Beautiful views and ample well lit parking. I stay here whenever I'm in the area because of the terrific staff. I highly recommend this location.

Nice property. Need to clean your own room. No amenities open - pool, fitness, restaurant (take-out in your room). Was disappointed in level of service and cleanliness for the cost of the property. Rooms are nice size for 2 queens, etc.

We stay here on the way south for the winter and then home again, beginning as COVID got underway. Under these bizarre circumstances, we found the staff absolutely great, rooms are clean, beds comfortable. Restaurant is closed but there are a few tables (some heaters) outside, and take out is available. Facility is old, but well kept. Only reason I did not give a 5, walls are thin. I heard the the entire conversation regarding the impeachment, start to finish, clear as a bell. The darling little footsteps overhead running back and forth til bedtime. It is recommended, next time ask for 3rd floor.

We booked our vacation not knowing or told, all the amenities (Pool and Hot tubs) were closed due to Covid, yet none of the cleaning staff were wearing masks? At check in our room wasn't ready and we had to wait an hour as did our friends room. The rooms were overpriced for a weekday rate and the age of the facilities. Staff were friendly however.

This Best Western has one of the best views, mount Shasta is literally right in front of the hotel. Especially during the winter time, Mount Shasta is full of snow and looks beautiful. The rooms are very nice and clean. Plus, the restaurant they have there has very delicious food. I cant wait to go back again.

Yet another stay for our family at the Best Western Tree House in Shasta. This is our go-to hotel for ski trips to Mt Shasta Ski Park. We could see all of the Covid precautions. Our room was clean with plenty of towels and the beds and bedding soft and comfy with plenty of pillows. We missed going to the restaurant and sitting by the fire with all the other skiers and the pool and jacuzzi was closed. But we could do take-out off the restaurant so my daughter got her butternut squash ravioli. We did take out one night from the nearby (original location) Black Bear Diner and the food was good and the portions their normal BBD huge.

If your visiting family or friends in the area do you really want to wait for the bathroom? If you get a hotel room you don't need to wait . So you need to ask yourself air mattress or your own bed. Just think about it

Views of My Shasta, indoor pool and gym, indoor restaurant, complimentary coffee and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and well appointed with many separate entrances and small patios. Pet friendly with dog run.

Beautiful rooms, very clean. The view of Mt Shasta from my room was awesome. And I can't say enough about the hotel restaurant, Cooperstown Bar and Grill, amazing! I got the fish n chips, and it was as good as any from fisherman's wharf!

The staff went over and beyond for this tired traveler with 4 pets. The rooms are dated, but the experience was so great. The staff was excellent/friendly and was the perfect stop over before hitting the Siskiyou pass traveling from southern CA to WA.

This hotel is quite dated. The shower head sprayed everywhere when filling the bathtub which I had to clean out before use, there were little black flecks all of the tub. We found a dirty sock next to the bed. Very disappointed.

We like this location as a rest point along a trip we occasionally make but had not stayed overnight before. I was very impressed with the setting of the hotel with convenience to the highway and stores nearby but not actually in sight or sound of them. The trees around and the open not quite rustic build of the hotel is pleasing. Our room was very convenient to parking which appeared to me to be more the case here than at most motels. The in-house restaurant was timely and prepared food well - I would eat there again or at the Black Bear Diner which is just up the road, a short walk.

We have stayed here many time in the last year and each time we come it gets worse. This time we found old French fries and trash under the bed and spilled soda or smooth (or puke?) and old hair (not ours) under the chair cushion. Also dirty / moldy caulking in the shower. Almost felt unsafe putting the kids in the bath. Dust on the walls and bed. And all this in a time when they claim to be cleaning well because of COVID. If you stay here I suggest you thoroughly check the room before you unpack and demand better cleaning especially During the pandemic. I called the front desk about the under bed trash and they said they'd come clean it but bc of the pandemic we preferred not to have them come into our room when we were there but never heard anything more about it even when we checked out. The photos show the filth. Last time we stayed here a couple months ago it was also not clean so this seems to be a persistent problem.

Nice hotel when visiting Shasta Mountain. Clean and comfortable room. Although just next to the highway the isolation is very good and we didn't hear the traffic at all. Didn't take there breakfast but you can have it in their cafeteria space (it's not included in the price)

Arrived late for a one night stay on Tuesday night at Best Western Tree House at Mt. Shasta. King bed was comfortable, room was large, shower pressure fantastic and A/C worked well while keeping the smoky air outside. In the light of day the next morning, discovered several Cheerios under the desk and other bits and pieces around - clear evidence that the vacuuming wasn't done. Upon checkout, we spoke with the front desk clerk, registered our concern, and was told, "I'll tell housekeeping." She was pleasant, but seemed entirely casual and indifferent about the issue. Really expected a more accountable response that demonstrated care and concern. This would have been unacceptable at any time but very disconcerting, as we put our trust in the hotel for a clean room, especially during this COVID era. We began to wonder if the sink, knobs, handles, and other surfaces had been cleaned.

We found hotel to be clean and employees wearing masks. I still wiped everything down but Clorox wipe was always clean after wiping. Appreciated the microwave and refrigerator as we got pizza night one from Say Cheese (good!) and heated it up night two. We had a balcony room (nice sized balcony and they brought us extra chairs for our friends staying at hotel.) with view of Mt. Shasta- just be aware that while it IS a view, it is also a view of the roof top next door and the gas station sign nearby. : }. The reason for only three stars was our disappointment with the breakfast. The hotel has two restaurants and take out and outside dining were available for dinner (due to COVID restrictions and restaurants not allowed to serve inside). But breakfast was just a grab and go paper bag with a granola bar, package of cheese and crackers and a bottle of water. Really? Two other BW's we stayed at both had hot options that you could take back to your room or eat on the property. I know everyone is doing their best but think this should be reconsidered. Oh- Black Bear Diner next door has great French toast! It's the original BB so that was kind of fun.

None of the housekeeping staff were wearing face masks! Just can't believe it since they are going in and out of every room. We opted for no cleaning because of this. The rooms need to be updated, but get the job done. Our mini fridge wouldn't stay cold either so we kept having to get more ice from the machine. Lovely views and great location tho.

The room smelled like black mold . The shower and sink didn't drain. The employees at the coopers dining didn't wear masks. I hope they take the time to address these issues. Definitely not coming back. Very disappointed ☹️

This is a nice hotel in a nice location. I would give it a good review in non-covid times. However, the lack of mask use by hotel staff made our stay stressful. I personally saw about 10 employees during our three-night stay and NOT ONE OF THEM was properly wearing a mask. This is despite the hotel's stated covid policy of "face masks required for staff in public areas", and the California Department of Public Health guidelines for mask use (relevant points attached here): Guidance People in California must wear face coverings when they are in the high-risk situations listed below: • Engaged in work, whether at the workplace or performing work off-site, when: • Interacting in-person with any member of the public; • Working in any space visited by members of the public, regardless of whether anyone from the public is present at the time; • Working in any space where food is prepared or packaged for sale or distribution to others; • Working in or walking through common areas, such as hallways, stairways, elevators, and parking facilities; • In any room or enclosed area where other people (except for members of the person's own household or residence) are present when unable to physically distance. The front desk greeters do not wear masks. When I asked about it, they cheerfully said that they weren't required to because they were separated from the guests by plexiglass. They were not separated from each other by plexiglass, and I think it sends the wrong message to guests when they enter that they don't need to wear masks either (although it is hotel policy that guests do so). I also witnessed cleaning staff entering rooms with no masks on, and one worker even got into an elevator with me with no mask on. I also saw multiple other workers wearing masks over their mouths but not their noses, including servers at the restaurant. (My wife did observe food workers wearing masks correctly when she went to get coffee in the mornings though.) I realize that it's difficult for the hotel to police guests about their mask use, but it was clear that guests were not strongly encouraged to wear masks. I had to pass by many guests lumbering around the hallways with their suitcases etc with no masks on. My rough estimate is that about 70% of the guests I saw inside the hotel were not wearing masks. I wish the hotel staff made a bigger deal about mask use to the guests. I also realize that Siskiyou County has low covid infection and transmission rates. However, I fear this may not be the case for long, given the inter-mixing of non-masked staff with guests coming from all corners of the state and further afield. Mask use is proving to be an easy and successful means of blocking covid transmission - this hotel needs to take mask use seriously.

Expect lots of noises with the train going over the tracks and warning alarms when it crosses the street throughout the night. Walls are thin but that's to be expected. My room with a "view" of Mt. Shasta was the backside of the rest of the building and janitors room with the Mt. peaking from the top. Front desk staff were not wearing masks, disappointing. No shampoo or body wash in the bathroom but overall, room was clean and bed was comfortable.

We had a deluxe king with balcony and view of Mt Shasta!!! Loved sitting on balcony and having a drink and enjoying the beautiful view of the mountain!! Staff was very friendly and professional and rooms were clean!!! We ordered takeout from Coopers Bar and Grill ... enjoyed very much!! The night before we bought Amy's frozen dinners and salad at Rays grocery...... and that hit the spot!! Microwave and fridge in room!! We will definitely stay here again!! Loved it!

When my daughter and I pulled up to the motel, there was an open fenced area next to the front doors where several people appeared to be drinking and eating. There was no social distancing enforcement and I didn't see anybody wearing masks for COVID-19. When we entered the lobby to check in, there was one sign on the front door "masks are encouraged". A male and female enployee were sitting next to each other behind the front counter and were very close and not wearing masks. There were people walking through the lobby area carrying drinks walking towards the direction of the fenced area where all the people were. I only saw one lady wearing a mask in the parking lot, and not inside. When we got to our room, my daughter pulled down her top sheet and blanket and there were small crumbs on the sheet. We left right after that and I rented a motel in Oregon. I didn't want to go back into the lobby because of the lack of caring for the COVID-19 situation. I tried calling the motel from my cell phone but there was no answer. COMPLETE WASTE OF MY MONEY AND MY TIME.

We stayed here in room 114 on 6/19/20. The hotel is easy to find and has plenty of parking, The hotel has an upscale rustic feel. The restaurant is very good, the hotel staff were pleasant and efficient and there is a great view of the mountain. We arrived a little after 3 pm and found out our room wasn't ready yet, so we drove up Mt. Shasta and spent some time exploring it. Our room 114, was good sized, clean comfortable and quiet. There was a patio with 2 chairs that looked out into a courtyard. The bed was fine. The internet was good for emails and web surfing. There is a fridge but it did not have a freezer in it. There is a good onsite restaurant and you can charge your meals to your room. The hotel exterior looks very good and it is within walking distance to the main area of town. Breakfast is not included in your room rate. There was no coffee in the lobby which we assumed was due to covid 19 restrictions. We would stay here again. Covid protection. The front desk had Plexiglas barriers but the front desk staff did not wear masks, the restaurant staff did wear masks as did the housekeepers we saw. There was hand sanitizer in the lobby. Most guest social distanced but masks were 50/50.

My puppy was such a great traveler, I chose this hotel for him. The rooms have patio doors which open out to a pretty, grassy area with a little waterfall. There are trails nearby that you can walk your dog and have a picnic under the trees. The restaurant makes delicious food, too.

Very homey hotel cionveniently located off the inrerstate. Good location for exploring the Mt. Shasta area. Decor fits the area. Even though its close to the interstate, rooms are relatively quiet. Restaurant and bar/lounge on site is nice and covenient.

I've stayed in a lot of Best Western and this one is by far the best I have stayed in. I loved this stay, but it it wasnt for this stupid covid it would have been even more amazing. I will definitely be staying here every time I travel.

The location is perfect, it's close to a grocery store, Subway among other small shops and restaurants in the "downtown" area. Close to McCloud and Burney Falls. As well as Mt. Shasta. The room was clean and tidy and I specifically like the room they gave us as it had a patio in the back where you can sit and eat.

We stayed here due to a unforeseen travel occurrence and found that the hotel was staffed well with cleaning supplies, guests and employees wearing face masks... This allowed us to rest well knowing it was cleaned well. We will definitely return to this spot when the opportunity comes again. The staff at the restaurant was friendly and the food was great as well-

From start to finish this much needed Mother Daughter getaway was perfect. As soon as the Covid 19 SIP mandates were relaxed we planned this appropriate sociably distanced vacation. The Tree House staff took all the necessary precautions and with smiles on their faces. We had a fantastic stay! Thank you!

This is the place to stay if you are looking for clean, cozy, and exceptional service. My family and I always stay at the Best Western Treehouse when we are in the Shasta area and have never been disappointed!

So the place is great for a roadside motel, my room was little dated, but the service was great the breakfast service was the best I found in my travels during the shutdown. Don't stay on the west side of the building too much road noise

This Best Western features a lot of wood decor, in keeping with its name and theme. It has a decidely West Coast/mountains atmosphere. The property has several buildings, most of which are connected by covered corridors. The parking lot was under construction when I was there, although I imagine they're finished with that now. The rooms were clean and spacious; the service was good. I had a nice view from my suite of one of the interior courtyards which was pleasant. One thing to note: there is a restaurant on site, but breakfast is NOT included. This was not clear to me on check in.

This was the perfect location for our short stay. Due to the COVID-19 virus, our cruise was cut short and all our travel arrangements home had to be changed. We were so happy this hotel was open and available as we drove from San Diego to Oregon. The welcoming staff and the warming fire in the the lobby fireplace helped us relax after driving amongst the many trucks in the rain. The bed was very comfy, the parking very convenient, and the staff very helpful. One reason we booked this was because of previous great reviews . . . especially about cleanliness! We certainly hope life will get back to normal soon for them all!

I stayed at Best Western Tree House for business related purposes and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The front desk employees were extremely nice, the hotel/room was very clean and smelled nice, the food was enjoyable, and there were plenty of amenities. The fireplace in the lobby was my favorite part of the experience. It was very cozy to enjoy a meal in the restaurant by the fireplace while looking up at Mt. Shasta. I would absolutely stay here again!

We were on our way from Palm Springs to Seattle and needed a place in the middle to stop. We also needed a place that allowed dogs. We feel we really lucked out here. The lodging is the type where you can literally drive up to your door and there is ample areas to walk your dog comfortably. The rates were decent and the staff very friendly. It was a quick sleep over but we would definitely visit again. It is right off I-5 so the location is quite convenient.

Service at the front desk and in the bar was terrific. Our meal was surprisingly good for a hotel chain restaurant. The room was clean and spacious. Both the hall door and courtyard door had multiple locks? Loved all the wood decor and beautiful setting.

Mt Shasta is a great weekend getaway for us. We enjoy the majestic views of the mountain, friendly people, beautiful little town with great restaurants and shops. We didn't drive from the time we parked our car Friday afternoon until we left Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and lounge and walked the short distance to main street for coffee and strolling past the shops. Fantastic hot tub and pool. Can't wait to go back.

From the first greeter (Joe) at the reception desk we knew we were in for a fabulous stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and charming. We chose to eat at Coopers Bar in the resort. Our waitress/bar tender, Sherry, made tasty drinks for us, and chatted with us about the area. This is a venue where everyone is friendly, but not intrusive. We had great drinks, delicious food, and conversation with “locals.” And it's the locals that know the good spots to eat and drink. As a special note, Tom, another bartender, found my gold earring on the floor of the lodge and was trying to find the owner, which was me. That kind of service is rare and appreciated. We did not use the pool or spa, but they looked wonderful. They were clean and larger than most hotel pool areas. We will definitely return.

Stayed 1 night passing through town. Very clean hotel, staff extremely helpful and polite. Beds and room comfortable. Check in a breeze. We upgraded to a view room, which did offer great sight of Mt Shasta. However, the 1 hour of viewing before dark was not worth the $30 upgrade. There is a restaurant on site and their food was very good. They feature prime rib nightly and hubby said it was very good. My large salad was fresh and tasty. However, for a BW Plus property, no breakfast is offered. Add that and the cost didn't outweigh the experience. Probably the best place to stay in town.

My stay was wonderful. From the moment I arrived to my check out everyone I had contact with was not only professional but the friendliest. They must love their job, as you can't fake smiles like theirs. The food was very good and my data worked flawlessly. Looking forward to my next visit to Mt. Shasta. Thanks for making me feel at home while away from home.

We've stayed here before and we'll stay here again. Great access off of the freeway and also a Black Bear diner just next door. Stay was also very professional and courteous. Room was very clean and comfortable. Also liked the outside and inside access to the room.

Favorite place to stay at Mt. Shasta City. We usually travel through this area by motorcycle,in the summer,we always try to stay here. It was our first time in the winter. So beautiful, snow,cozy rooms,bar,restaurant. We were traveling on a medical emergency and it was so comforting to arrive there and use the spa .

Overall satisfied with our stay, however, a little disappointed in our Mt. Shasta "view". Perhaps this view would be more enjoyable in the summer months, but for the majority of our 3 night stay, the mountain was barely visible. In my opinion, it's not worth the extra money unless you plan on spending all day on the balcony.

Confortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff, restaurant was convenient with good service and good food. The hot tub needed cleaning and the pool area need more fresh towels but overall it was a good experience and great location for skiing with kids at Mt. Shasta.

Picked it for the indoor pool, which the kids loved but was a little cold for me and didn't keep towels stocked. Hot tub was great. The little “store” with incidentals was lacking, and the vending machine only had drinks but was out of water. But overall great place, would stay again.

Friendly familiar faces and service and accommodations are all top notch! The property is quiet and clean. We love the pool and hot tub too. The only downside is the lack of breakfast. The restaurant is totally separate now.

Will never ever stay at this location again we stay at best Western is all over the United States never have we had to pay that much for a room but no one is Kalifornia not a tourist town understand it but for that price almost $200 a night you should at least get a breakfast they didn't offer nothing no toast no donuts nothing but they were willing to sell your breakfast and the thing probably for another 20 or 30 bucks a person but did not check on that would not recommend this place to anybody I'll care how much money you got !!!!!!!!!

The hotel and pool are AMAZING. The restaurant experience was awful. The food was bland and cold. Our waitress was terrible. I had to get condiments myself. And hunt down the waitress to get a drink refill. It would have been so convenient to have dinner at the hotel every night but we had to go elsewhere. I will never eat there again!

Overall, great stay for family. Friendly staffs and clean atmosphere. Took off one star is no free breakfast offered at this location. Well, the restaurant serves breakfast was very good and big amount of food. Very convenient to all hiking trails and nearby restaurants and movie theater. Great location during our stay at Mt. Shasta.

Lovely wood everywhere. Lots of varnish. The bar is very relaxing with friendly staff and great drinks. Gym was nice and simple. Very quiet rooms with nice amenities. This hotel has a pool and hot tub but I did t get a chance to use them. The pool is inside and open year around.

We had to stop in snow on way south and what a surprise! Most hotels along the 5 are not as welcoming and helpful - this was the exception. The place is beautiful and very lodge-like. They have a restaurant and little store close by. The staff is attentive and rooms are clean. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future - whether there is weather or not!

My wife and I were stranded in Mt Shasta CA by weather and car trouble and because of the wonderful staff we able able to get a room. We are grateful to everyone at the Tree House for making our Thanksgiving as good as it could be under the circumstances.

Room was great with access to courtyard. There is a restaurant and bar onsite. Breakfast "package" is extra $10 per person. The hotel is expensive for Best Western however we stayed using a free night certificate.

Really enjoyed my stay the pool and spa were a plus!! The room was very nice and quite. The staff was amazing !!! I really liked the restaurant and bar, food and drinks were always great! Staff in the bar and grill over the top, will be back !!!

This motel is terrific for the area. Decor is welcoming showing off the mountain atmosphere. The TV had an amazing picture. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.. Restaurant on site makes it convenient, Everyone was friendly. 2 doors to room, one to hallway, other to grassy courtyard with chairs on patio.

We stayed here only one night in the one bedroom suite. There were four of us staying there. It was perfect! Spacious, quiet, nice view of Mt. Shasta and nice creek in the middle of the courtyard. Nice touch! Everything we needed. The lounge was nice, good food, good atmosphere, friendly staff. The reception staff were so friendly and accommodating as well. We will definitely stay here again!

This is our favorite place to stay in Mt. Shasta. We try and get a room with a view to enjoy the mountain, but all the rooms are very nice. The restaurant has a wonderful view with friendly wait staff. Coopers bar is a great place to be after a day hiking or however you choose to spend your day. Excellent food and wait staff there too. A very comfortable facility. Highly recommended. We've stayed here many times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Beautiful older lodge-style property, with great amenities, a full restaurant and lounge with terrific food. Beds are the best we've slept in, in ANY Best Western in the last year, and we stay at many. Professional, courteous staff.

It was a clean comfortable hotel. Two restaurants in the hotel with a bar and entertainment on the weekend. Considering the size of Mt Shasta it was a great choice.Both restaurants had great food and I have to say the water straight from the tap is excellent

Love this hotel! Quiet, beautiful views, lots to do in the area. You can drive up to Lake Siskiyou or Castle Lake which are just minutes away or the Mt. Shasta Ski Park for Summer special events or skiing during the Winter One of our favorite getaways!

Staff is friendly, check in/out is very easy, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable! This location is really good as it is right off the freeway, it has a couple of dining options, and more are close by. I always use BW if one is close to where I am going - I know I will have a great room!!!

This motel is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The rooms are really lovely, and the view of Mt. Shasta from the top floor windows is amazing. The staff members were polite, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast from the restaurant was exceptionally delicious. And, the housekeeping staff was quiet and polite. The rooms are well built and almost soundproof. We had the best stay ever, in this A++++ motel! We are looking forward to staying there again. We recommend it highly.

Nice place to stay on the way home. Very clean and quiet. Restaurent was very good and great service. Great that the restaurent was on site as after a day traveling in the car, didn't have to deive anywhere to find a place to eat!

It was a very very beautiful and warm place to stay. Location is very good. Hotel is very nice. I loved their hospitality. A little pretty garden was nice. It was great if we could use a printer at the PC desk. Overall, it was a wonderful hotel. :)

The setting is lovely with views of Mt Shasta from the lobby and restaurant. Check in and out was fassmooth. We ate at the restaurant, which was reasonably priced. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable..My only negative about this hotel is that breakfast is not included in the already high rate. We were told, only after checking in, that we could pay an additional $10 each for a limited breakfast at the restaurant. We drove to Lily's, a local cafe, and had an excellent breakfast.

I was part of a firefighting crew and came to replace a colleague. Said colleague had left his room in the morning, paid for it and told the front desk I was coming to replace him. When I arrived in the evening, Sierra, one of the receptionists. She couldn't find my reservation so I told her that I would be taking my colleague's room.She immediately got excited saying that we hadn't warn the front desk and that the sheets hadn't been changed. I calmly explained that my colleague had spoken to them and the sheets weren't a big deal since there were 2 beds. Right away, she said that I would had to pay for my stay as well as my colleague's stay. I called my colleague to confirm he had talked to the front desk. He had the receipt and assured me he had dealt with a lady that was missing an arm. Sierra immediately said that was Dina (or Tina?) and she always left notes. Since there wasn't any, it was our fault. I passed my phone to her to talk directly to my colleague. At first, she refused but upon my insistence she took it. After talking to him she seemed to calm down a bit but came up with another problem which was the loyalty points. She could only assign them to me or my colleague. At every step of the process she found an obstacle. Everything seemed to be resolved until the next day when we tried to get in our rooms and the keys didn't work. Also, on my checkout they made me pay again for my colleague's stay. Breakfast is not included and the restaurant charges exorbitant prices. "2 eggs anyway" costs $14.95 + tax.

We arrived Sunday afternoon and were enjoying our view outside of Mt. Shasta on our cute patio. The parking lot was blocked off for repairs so the evening was very quiet. No people getting in and out of cars. However around 7pm work trucks drove up and a guy started up a big LOUD blower. He started blowing debris and dust all over the place. We called the front desk and asked why they would start working at 7pm on a Sunday. He said they would only be about a half hour longer. Really??? Should have told us about these repairs before we got there. I would have stay somewhere else in town. I should get a full refund.

The front desk staff was very welcoming. Our top floor balcony room was clean and spacious. The view of Mt Shasta was tremendous, however, be aware if you request a balcony, be sure it is on the top(3rd) floor or your view will consist of a pool building wall:(. Also, request a 3rd story balcony on the south end of the building. Ours was located on the north corner and true, the Mystic mountain still looked upon us, but the kitchen entrance for the restaurant was far less appealing with trash being hauled to the dumpster and workers taking their smoke breaks. I'm sure this BW could get a 5 star rating but our stay here didn't live up to that kind of expectations.

Beautiful view of Mount Shasta. GREAT FOOD! Eat at the bar! Fantastic service and awesome seafood. We had seafood chowder, a burger, and duck breast - really good. Cold beer excellent service Don't miss them!

We stopped to sleep on a road trip and they we great in finding us a room. It was around $200 but the room was very clean and comfortable. The new air units were quite and kept the room at a temperature we liked. Restaurant and bar were cozy and the live band made it fun.

This hotel is gorgeous! The main lobby and the rooms are very luxurious, and welcoming! We stayed here on business, and had lots of help from the wonderful staff! Highly recommend the restaurant downstairs as well! It also pays to be a best western rewards member, we were upgraded to the suite, and it was perfect! Great parking for large vehicles as well. Walking distance to town and food.

Awsome place to stay! Be good to the staff and help here! They take good care of everyone! This place is close to Rite-Aid. The front desk has a postage machine and will help you mail out your mail and packages by putting the postage on it for you and turning it over to the mail carrier when they come.

The group really enjoy the hotel, is beautiful, the rooms with mountain views are great, you can sit at the balcony, and see Mount Shatsa with all her beauty anytime....

I do like Best Western however I am finding that some of the Best Westerns like the Tree House in Mount Shasta is quite high even during the week I think that they could lower there prices during the week I could only imagine how high the price is during the weekend Also the air conditioning could use some upgrades as it doesn't keep the rooms very cool.

Very friendly staff at one of those Best Westerns that is from another time. It's a well-maintained spot on a gently sloping hillside with the serene Mt Shasta visible from an outdoor table by the front door. (I prefer thus to shiny and corporate feeling.) The map makes it look spread out, but everything was easy to find via internal hallways. Bed was comfortable for me, a little soft for my spouse. Good quality wifi, my daughter was able to watch something on her phone. The coffee was locally roasted and organic, available in the lounge with half and half but seemed a little weak. I was sorry I hadn't included breakfast as the French touring group seemed to enjoy it. My spouse and I split the BYO omlette and it was the right about for both of us. Fresh quality ingredients. Soy milk available for my daughter's latte but not almond. Sorry I didn't have time for a swim! This will be our regular stop when driving up and down I-5.

The hotel was conveniently located next to a Tesla supercharger, which was why we chose this place to stay despite the higher rate. The hotel interior was outdated, which was not great but still acceptable. The worse was the odor in the room - it smelt a but like feet, but they used strong fragrance to cover it up. The bed was not comfortable at all - I woke up sebera times from sore lower back. I was looking forward to check-out. Will not recommended.

We had driven 10 hours from Seattle & through an Oregon wildfire - we were so exhausted but met with wonderful staff & great wine and snacks - we loved loved our spacious room & hope to go back to enjoy all that there is to be offered!!

After a long day on the road, you really want to stop for the night and not have to get back in the car to find a place to eat. The restaurant was full service with a lot of choices. The room was spacious and clean. We were lucky enough to have a view of Mt. Shasta it was beautiful.

Hotel is over priced for what you get, they used to have a free buffet breakfast than they went to 25% Breakfast than they did away with that. Breakfast should be included in the hotel price like Europe Than they over charge breakfast, was 30.00 for 2 people , I expect to pay that in San Francisco not Mt Shasta.

I had 1 day to go on a trip. I chose for my family and I a surprise trip to the Shasta Caverns. They were awesome! Then we drove 45 minutes to Shasta and stayed in the Best Western. Awesome experience start to finish! Great staff (friendly, courteous, helpful). The pool and Hot tub are wonderful. We had a great day swimming indoors and enjoyed the wooden decor on the way back to our room which looked out at Mt. Shasta. It was a trip that was short time wise but abundantly blessed. To the Best Western Staff thank you for making a short trip a relaxing trip!

Nice stay, rooms a little small for the price. The BW in Wilsonville Or. was a lot nicer with larger rooms and breakfast for all customers. The price was cheaper also. The staff was friendly and the grounds were clean. Ordered take out at Casa Ramos and they got our order wrong, to hungry to go back. The restaurant menu at the hotel was not very health friendly.

Our King Mountain View room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and had all the extra toiletries that we forgot to pack. The bed was comfy and the view did not disappoint. There are also a few good spots in town to get vegan food (Yaks, Phuket, Silk Road) The Berryvale grocery store had plenty of vegan goodies/snack food. Had a pleasant stay, would book this again.

I've been going to the Shasta area for decades and have stayed in many places (camped, houses, Weed, Dunsmuir, Mt. Shasta City, etc, etc). This is really the only hotel in Mt. Shasta City so options are limited. The proprietors of this hotel know they are the only one in town and price their rooms accordingly (really high). There are couple older motels in town that are decent. We were charged extra for a balcony room with a view. The view of Shasta was great, but we had to look out the sliding glass door. The balcony was rotting and I didn't feel safe walking on it. You could see areas on the balcony where the wood was collapsing (they even appeared to be marked with chalk, but remained). Putting weight on these areas made a crunching noise, the sound of rotten wood. The railing was loose as well. Our room overlooked a patio-like area between buildings. There is a table with an umbrella on the patio. It appears this is the area where employees go to smoke cigarettes. The smoke billowed up onto our balcony, making it unusable. Leaving the door open to let a nice breeze flow through the room just make our room reek of cigarette smoke. Also, some of the nearby rooms had guests that like to smoke marijuana on the balcony as well. This smoke also found its way into our room. Neither of these is healthy for humans, especially young children. For $280/night, this was completely unacceptable. The walls are extremely thin, to the point where I could hear the neighbor's conversations. Seems one neighbor was a businessman who conducted business via phone very early in the morning. Our other neighbor must have been hard-of-hearing as I could clearly hear the dialog from the movies he watched until 2:00am. The restaurant is very expensive. The food is ok. The previous Best Western 'Plus' means free breakfast is no longer accurate. This 'Plus' means $30+ breakfast/$40 dinner for a couple adults and a kids meal. You're better off patronizing the local Black Bear Diner (the original in the chain), which is a couple minute walk from the hotel. The room is a standard studio setup. The carpets are dirty so wear sandals. Our bathtub was dark, but I wasn't able to determine whether it was dirty or just old. Everything in the room worked. The wireless internet worked fine. Overall the hotel is ok. As mentioned, there are limited options in Mt. Shasta City so you're stuck.

There are pros and cons to this hotel, we stayed the Thursday night before memorial day weekend. The Pros: very easy to find, located right off the I-5 ramp so easy access on and off the freeway. The Cons: I booked a mountain view room facing Mount Shasta, which was cool but I didn't know that the train horn would sounding throughout the night. I'm a light sleeper so that was problematic. Also, the walls are very thin, I can hear conversations from the room next door until they fell asleep. Our room was also very dark - the furniture was very old school and in need of an uplift. This hotel is good for a 1 or 2 night stay if you're around the area and need to stay close to the border between California and Oregon.

Nice new hotel right next to Northbound I-5 exit ramp. Prices not too bad, but second highest in this tourist town, but worth it to get all the upgrades. Simple in room temperature control, and easy chairs on wheels was very nice.

After being told that our reservation at the Shasta Inn was not viable we were able to book into the Tree House for three nights. What a wonderful stay. The people could not be more helpful, the room was delightful and clean. Convenient elevators and ramps to make unloading a breeze....The whole stay was delightful.....We'll definitely be back!

Our group's meeting was held in part of the restaurant rather than in a separate meeting room. The arrangement was adequate yet unacceptably noisy. A basic room also cost almost $200/night. I'd expected much more for that kind of price. We'll stay elsewhere in the future.

Only stayed here 1 night so we didn't get to enjoy all that this place had to offer. The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again. We were driving a Tesla and there are 5 Tesla Superchargers in the parking lot, so that worked out great. Would prefer a slightly lower price but supply/demand pretty much sets this place on the high end of this town.

We had a room with a patio facing the interior courtyard. In the evening we sat outside and enjoyed a glass of wine. If you request a room on a higher floor facing Mount Shasta, you may have a view of the mountain. The room was good size and the beds were comfortable. The property is dog-friendly and there is a large grassy area adjacent to the property to walk your dog. Most of the staff provided excellent service. There is a restaurant and lounge on property. Breakfast is not included with your stay a this Best Western.

For the area, it is absolutely the best option around, and all the wood cabin features are cute.

We stayed here recently for several days to enjoy Mt. Shasta and the outstanding surrounding countryside. The motel is very good and clean, and reasonably priced. The Tree House Restaurant and Cooper's Bar & Grill located just off the lobby offer very good dining, mainly American comfort food, and beer on tap. And the motel is within easy driving of Crater Lake, Lava Beds Ntl Mon., and Mt. Lassen Ntl Park, all of which offer excellent hiking and other outdoor activities. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay to visit the area.

View Room was short walk to lobby and restaurant. Safety bars in tub were plentiful and in all the right places. Bed and furniture were easy to get in and out of. Room service was available and food excellent. Staff was extremely courteous, helpful, and well trained.

Pleasant, comfortable and super clean...very nice experience. Good breakfast at restaurant and nice bar for evening relaxation. Perfect place to begin and end a shasta mountaineering trip! Would stay here again anytime.

Best Western Plus Tree House was a great choice for our hiking group. They gave us a good group rate and excellent service at our group happy hours and dinner. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Great bed, great pillows. The little fridge wasn't too cold and Internet service was a tad hard to get onto and keep sometimes. Otherwise, highly recommend. Great restaurant - excellent food and service.

We only stayed one night and the hotel was nice. It could use some upgrades in the rooms. The staff was friendly and services was fantastic in the restaurant. The gym was small but I was able to fit in a work out before we left. Dog friendly and the outdoor area for the dogs was great! We especially enjoyed breakfast and then sitting outside enjoying the view of Mt Shasta.

We only stayed one night as we were driving back down from Oregon to San Francisco. The hotel was good and we enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. the room decor was little dated feeling but I think they were going for the woodsy look. the onsite restaurant and lounge were nice as well. We did not do the breakfast because we felt the price was extremely high considering many hotel chains include it for free (and yes, the cost of this hotel should have had a free breakfast).

The hotel is wonderful but be wary as a rate which I booked through their own Best Western web site was not honored when I arrived even though I showed them the reservation and rate. I was also told it was too late to cancel so it was either pay the difference (23% higher) and stay there or go somewhere else and pay for a room at Best Western plus wherever I went to.

Right off the I-5 when entering Mt Shasta with great views over the mountain A rather big place but with very large and confortable rooms fully equipped with a nice bathroom. A large indoor swimming pool is a definite plus. Nothing fancy but you get what you expect to get

This is the first BW hotel we have stayed at that did not offer a complimentary breakfast. I thought that was part of the program and we counted on it. When something is optional like that and out of the ordinary it should be clearly stated in the description of the property. We were so used to the BW standard we didn't even think of asking.

Attractive hotel in the middle of Mt. Shasta City. Had the option of a suite for 3 adults traveling together, that was reasonably priced. Especially when we were quoted $159 for one room for two. Besides being too high priced, there was no breakfast included with the room, a BW staple. Excellent restaurant for dinner. My entrée of chicken Marsala was the best! Room spacious and clean. All amenities present and functional.

My Hubs and I have been stopping in here for years! There really is no bad room in the place! It's always clean, the Staff has a 99% awesome rating from us. Friendly, fast service and if you get the side that faces the Mountain, there is the most stunning view! Garden views are nice as well. They have an awesome breakfast in the morning to get you on your way. We always look forward to our rest and stay at the Tree House. Thank you to the friendly Staff and Management!

Wow, were we impressed with Mt. Shasta Best Western. The lodge style atmosphere was so nice and inviting. Had a lovely mountain view from our room. We especially like the "pet friendly" policy - with large greasy field to excersize our dog. Planning next year's stay already.

I was treated really well by the staff here during a solo holiday travel. It was comfortable and clean and charming and had a nice earthy feel. Great view of Mt. Shasta, convenient access to freeway and easy to find.

We have been through Shasta City several times on our way home to Portland. We discovered this BW a couple years ago and have been staying here ever since. Large rooms, very comfy and clean. The restaurant onsite does takeout. Great food! Will recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Mt. Shasta Best Western and the charm of the rustic lodge environment was very fitting. The King room was absolutely wonderful, clean and cozy. We had our dog with us and the deposit was exceptionally reasonable. We also had a small patio which was nice.

A Best Western PLUS Hotel without breakfast or a coupon of ANY kind. Went down for breakfast this morning, and none provided. Nothing said at front desk yesterday when we checked in. My rating is for a full price Best Western PLUS Hotel WITHOUT breakfast included, not even a coupon for continental breakfast or something. Room was ok. Service people friendly. The pool and hot tub were closed because someone “puked” in the pool just before we arrived, which was annonced at the front desk via their walky talky radio system. I commented to the front desk person, “not in good taste” and she said it happens all of the time, and she has mentioned it to her higher ups.

We love the BW Tree House for a quick getaway. It sits in the beautiful little town of Mt. Shasta with a view of the amazing mountain you can practically reach out and touch from town. The hotel is quiet with beautiful grounds that accommodate our dog. The lounge has a great atmosphere with great food options and occasional live music. We love the restaurant and they have the most amazing jacuzzi in the north state that we are aware of! All that being said it's a great choice!

Good location on our trip north. Room was nice and restaurant was nice. The problem was it was Friday night and the lounge had loud music from 7-10 pm. Not that I didn't like the music, I did. But, our room was up the first hallway and it was too loud. There was no place to escape it. Also, staff was not very helpful with that situation or finding a map.

When you first come in you will love the ambience this place gives off with the Deep Lush Woods and craftsmanship.. due to other tripadvisor's post we decided to come stay here.. definitely not disappointed big large indoor pool and heated nicely the room in the pool area felt like a nice warm sauna maybe a little bit too much chlorine in the air. But totally understandable nice Jacuzzi also.. very nice restaurant next to the lobby.. comfortable clean room nice big flat screen TV with free HBO and cable. We had like a private little patio outside our room with only a few other rooms attached to it..that was on the first floor the other floors #2 and 3 had little private balconies. If I had a complaint the only thing would have been no free breakfast. But if it saves you a little money on staying the night I rather have it that way then pay for a so-called breakfast buffet or Continental breakfast that you usually don't like.. but you do have a restaurant right there.. and in the far distance you can hear trains which I absolutely love.. but could not hear them in the room.. this will definitely be my to stop at hotel on the way to Oregon and back home.. also great fast free Wi-Fi

Hotel was easy to find. Nice setting, had a large indoor pool, a bar and restaurant. Not giving out breakfast made it alittle more pricey. No freezer in room refrigerator. Market in walking distance, was a plus

When you walk in you will notice that these buildings were a true labor of love for the person who built them. Unbelievable work work and detail. The pool and hot tub area is beautiful. We would love to stay here for a few days, just to enjoy the ambiance.

Really enjoyed myself, was my first time at this property, it really nice. Look forward to coming back here, when I'm in this area. Couldn't have picked a better spot, has a nice bar & grill with a lot of choices.

This was the first stop of a birthday trip. The check in and room was adequate and of course the location is in beautiful mountain surroundings. The problem happened when I left my favorite necklace behind. We were many miles down the road after checkout and I called the front desk and asked if they would please retrieve my necklace and ship to me. They said there would be a charge and of course that was fine I said. When I returned from my birthday trip to my dismay I retrieved my mail and found a letter envelope with three sheets of paper and what appeared to have been puncture holes of where a necklace might have been. I could not believe that someone would so thoughtlessly of tried to ship a large pendant in a regular envelope. Needless to say my favorite necklace is gone, I was told that the incident would be used as a training on shipping and the person would be talked to. My husband and I run a motel ourselves so I ship all the time to guests. I would have thought the Best Western would have standards and shipping procedures. I am very disappointed.

Easy to find. Great view of the mountain. Easy walking distance to shopping. Friendly staff, very comfortable room. We always stay here when visiting Mt. Shasta area. The Coopers lounge is a wonderful place with a good happy hour and excellent food.

Family friendly , pet friendly, I am a light sleeper and tend to avoid hotels due to noise but this hotel was quiet and other tenants were respectful and courteous, I highly recommend this hotel for families

Convenient location at a reasonable rate. Clean and comfortable rooms, not luxury but not expected. Easy access from I5 and good starting point for exploring the area. Beautiful view of Mt Shasta in the background.

We've stayed in other cheaper hotels in Shasta & had to go find a restaurant to eat at. Staying here was much nicer because of the cleanliness of the rooms, an AWSOME restaurant, & our kids & us got to swim & relax in a nice heated pool & spa after a long day of snowboarding at Mt.Shasta ski resort. Definitely will be back in the month & Years to come.

The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Very quiet. Happy hour selection is great. The restaurant is very nice. Having a gym and indoor pool is pretty good too the staff are very friendly

When you walk into the front doors of the Hotel, the restaurant is just there to your right. Very nice inside. Relaxed atmosphere. However, there are many tables, unoccupied, but they stack everybody right next to each other. I'm sure this is more convenient for them, however it would be more convenient for the guess if we had been spread out a bit more. We were intrigued by the mozzarella sticks with raspberry sauce, so we ordered some. I found them to be okay. My husband absolutely loved the raspberry sauce. Just not with cheese. He took the breading off and dipped it. I ordered the spaghetti with sausage. They give you a massive quantity. LOL I asked for extra marinara sauce, and they definitely delivered. My husband nor I cared for the sausage. It had a very odd flavor. But the spaghetti was delicious, as well as the sauce. Hubby got the ribeye, added shrimp. Loaded baked potato, and veggies. The steak was delish! He liked the shrimp. Potato was great. Veggies were too hard for his taste. We got cheesecake and tiramisu to go. The tiramisu was OK. Nothing amazing, but good. The cheesecake was yum! Came with the same raspberry sauce, and we got extra. Hubby really loves it. He wants to buy a bottle, lol.

I was surprized by the price but was very happy with the hotel. This place is very clean and fresh. The money I paid was worth it the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and neat and the food was great. The place was. Decorated with a mountain type hotel I enjoyed staying there and would again.

Nice hotel located close to Mt. Shasta. It is self contained meaning it has a restaurant, bar and fitness area if you need it after a great hike or skiing in the area. Restaurant is very accommodating and serves good comfort fair. Bar nice with quite a bit of seating. Can get your meal from the restaurant served in the bar. Hotel also accommodates pets. We had our Irish Terrier with us and they have an area at the hotel for walking and taking care of "business" with your pet.

Hotel is very much like a motel you would find on highways. I booked the mountain view room but mountains really blocked by trees and not worth it. Need to climb stairs for 2nd floor room (which is for mountain view room). Rooms are nice and clean but not sure if its really worth the price tag!! Breakfast is not included and even with 25% coupon they offer, its not worth it. I had a very bad experience with waitress Cecilia. I asked her to take a picture once the food was served and she said not right now! Anyways we took picture ourselves and then later she came back saying ok I can take a picture but we had already started eating so I told her we are good now. Perhaps she got angry or not sure why when she was picking up the plates she dropped syrup on my shirt!!! and they said sorry accidents happen! Its very obvious the hotel takes their staff attitude for granted as not many options in such a small town. I would suggest to book other hotels or even if you do book this hotel definitely eat outside. I had dinner at a nearby Thai place with extremely good food and staff attitude.

Awful! Old and with a creaky elevator. No full hot breakfast provided as was listed on hotelguides.com website (since deleted) - only a 25% off coupon. What good is that? Better to go to a restaurant and pay less!

I travel constantly (mostly business) and have become a fan of Best Western. Most locations are excellent and I've come to expect a lot from best western (especially the Plus & Premiere properties). This property met all of my high expectations.

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful location. After an exhaustive search for a nice, safe hotel that took pets, I was greeted at 11:30pm by a very kind, helpful staff member, who hooked me up with an awesome room. Will stay here again and again when I'm in the area. Best bed ever!

My wife and I chose Mt. Shasta as a good stopping point between Portland and Napa on our road trip south earlier this month. Unfortunately a cool, rainy day can take away from one's experience, so overall it was an underwhelming 18 hours in the town. From our brief exploration around Mt. Shasta, the Tree House certainly looks to be the place to stay - it was sold out in mid-November and is a cut above anything else in town. We did have a mountainview room - solidly clean and functional with a small patio right on the edge of the parking lot, with the mountainview across the parking lot. I don't think we would pay up for the mountainview if there was a next time. The bar and restaurant were pleasant - although our evening at the bar began with an old-timer lady customer absolutely berating a poor (and very capable) bartender about her order. You can't control your clientele! Exceptional bar service was the most memorable part of our stay, our salads were delicious - and I was only narrowly defeated by my wife playing backgammon!

This place is really nice! I have no complaints at all. I came here to photograph Mount Shasta, McCloud Falls, Sundial bridge and a few other beautiful locations in the area. Don't hesitate to book a visit here. Plenty of parking and wi-fi is free. I really enjoyed my stay!

Rooms were clean, and the restaurant has excellent food. The Friday night band at Cooper's Lounge downstairs was good and they quit playing by 11pm. We stayed in Rm 122 on the 2nd floor. There is no elevators and the stairs consist of two 8-10 with a ending in between. No Problem for us: However, my size 11 shoe needed to be angled to fit on the steps. Use reasonable caution and bannisters. Location is everything, easy access to I-5, there's a small shopping center next door, we walked to the movies in that shopping center. Up front I knew the bill was going to be $503 for 3 nights and it was at check out. We've stayed other places in Mt Shasta and I wanted the best for my wife even if it was a few dollars more. She was happy, therefore, it was a good visit. This was not our first stay here, but the nicest. We were there because of local Artist Stefan Baumann's bi-yearly Plain Air Oil Painting Workshops.

What a great stay in Mt. Shasta. Beautiful view of the mountain, great pet friendly grounds and a bar and restaurant on property. A walk to the movies and shopping. We couldn't have been happier. This motel is a gem stay along the I 5 corridor.

Just left Best Western Treehouse, right off the freeway, yet very quiet. We had a view/balcony room of Mount Shasta. The view of Mount Shasta was wonderful. The decor is real cabin mountain like, very fun. The bar lounge area was nice after a long drive

We enjoyed our visit immensely! Nice bar, restaurant with live entertainment, beautiful view of Mt.Shasta, and friendly helpful staff. I especially enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. Room had very comfortable beds. My only complaint is that this motel seems a little pricey, but I got a free room upgrade with a view so that was very nice.

I always stay at the Tree House when driving to the Bay Area. The mountain is right out the window. Its a short walk to the city of Shasta. There is a grocery store nearby and the hotel has on/off access to I-5.

This was a repeat visit. The entire operation is very professional. Our discounted rate room was on the small side, and afforded us a view of a quiet courtyard (we actually had a little patio out there with chairs, but never gave it a try). The room has the virtue of being pretty well designed. There are two sinks (one in the bathroom, one outside) but neither have much counter space. Comfortable bed. We were pleased to have easy access to the front parking lot (good to be there mid-week in off-season).

this hotel was excellent, room, view of mountain and staff were great..!!! I would definitely come back and stay at this hotel again. And it is close to everything, so when I come back I will definitely be staying here in the same mountain view room.

My coworkers and I were heading up the the area on business. We found the Best Western Plus Tree House as an option for our price. Upon arrival, the hotel lobby was very rustic looking. The wood doors were a nice touch. They had complimentary Otis Spunkmeyer cookies too. We checked in and went to our rooms. My original room was a handicapped room with two queen beds. I did not want this type of room. I called the front desk and was allowed to switch to a regular room on the second floor. The room overlooked the front parking lot. The room had two queen beds (asked for a king) but it was just me. The bathroom had one sink in the entry and another in the actual bathroom. The room had vaulted ceiling and a decent a/c unit. The only real gripe I had, was the loud music being played in the bar by a band until 10:00pm. The music was too loud. Overall the place is pretty decent. Enjoy!

We were passing through and decided to stop over, checked out local places and we felt this was the best option, got a good rate and stayed for the night, it does what it says on the tin, nothing more but all very clean and friendly

We only stayed one night en route to Crater Lake. Huge room with two beds though very dreary, musty and drab. Coopers bar also very drab and dark. Could do with a makeover. Front of house staff helpful.

More expensive than other Best Westerns, but very close to the freeway. Clean and quiet. Good desk staff. Somewhat sprawling layout with different floors in different sections--generally not a problem. We had a top floor with excellent view of Mt. Shasta. Refrigerator and microwave. Easy walk into the main street with various restaurants.

Clean, well-kept. Maybe pricier than I'd like but I've stayed cheaper and you get what you pay for. We enjoyed the breakfast here. The lounge serves decent bar food (nothing exceptional but just decent). Friendly staff.

I had a problem with my bank and the front desk staff went above and beyond to work with me to resolve the issue. My family and extended family stayed in two family rooms and had a great experience. The entire hotel was wonderful.

Great place to stay with large roomy rooms, very clean with a nice appearance. Had primer rib for dinner and it was excellent. Breakfest was not as good as dinner but it was still okay. They have a good size bar and our rum and pineapple drinks were terrific. Will stay there again

We always stay here on our way to Oregon and enjoy it very much. The rooms are nice and the restaurant is very good. A real plus for my grandson is the indoor swimming pool! In addition, within a mile is a great Italian restaurant called Mike & Tony's -- wonderful Italian food served family style.

My family stopped at this Best Western Plus on the way home from our vacation in Oregon. We have stayed in a lot of Best Western and Best Western Plus restaurants over the years. This location had very nice grounds and a fun wood paneled log cabin feel inside. Careful as there are no elevators. The restaurant was fine but the hotel did not include free breakfast like at most Best Westerns. The room itself was clean and nice. The AC was VERY quiet which was appreciated as it was sweltering outside and needed to be run all night. The wifi was new and worked well.

We stay at the Tree House every year. We love it and wouldnt stay anywhere else. It if right across the street from the DMV, Chase Bank, A hardware, KFC, Ray's Market, Taco Bell, and Rite Aid. Everything is right there for you.

Mt. Shasta in general is such a nice place to stay for west coast roadtrippers and the Best Western Tree House offers all the modest amenities to make your trip comfortable. Great location and check in was easy. There is dining onsite as well as many other choices nearby. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, the only downside is that the walls are very thin especially near the adjoining door. Normal conversation from the guests next door could be heard clearly enough as to be disruptive. That said though, I would stay here again. The good definitely outweighs the negative.

Myself and my wife enjoyed so very much this beautiful Tree House. The Mountain view room was comfortable and spacious. We stayed there due to the fact that we were uder a mandatory evacuation order from the CARR FIRE. We were delighted to find an in house guest laundry facilities. We were able to go for morning walks around the nearby lake at the resort and also went swimming. Everything was excellent.

Best Western Plus Tree House in Mount Shasta would make a great location for a vacation stay while enjoying this beautiful part of California. We were only there for one night as we were traveling through the state. We were pleased to find a room on such short notice, especially in the peak of wildfire season and so many people displaced by the Carr fire. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the check-in staff. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent, as was the view. Unlike most other Best Western Pluses, they don't offer complimentary breakfast, but they do offer a discount for breakfast at the restaurant and the prices were quite reasonable for a tourist location. The pool is quite large and the pool complex was very pleasant.

Very close to everything Mt. Shasta has to offer, we stayed in the Cedar Suite 331, with two large king beds, more than enough for two persons, but we really enjoyed that we could spread out. Equipped with a full kitchen. Plenty of parking and there is small mall nearby with a grocery store and movie theater.

Without fail, this Hotel is so pretty and peaceful. My Hubs and I called ahead and reserved a room with the most pleasant front desk clerk, his name was David, what a nice young man. We had a stressful trip there, but David made everything easy with a smile when we showed up late. We had not eaten all day and we were starving. The whole town shuts down around 9:30pm. It was around 9:45 and with our quick and easy check-in, we were able to get into the lounge and order a meal from another friendly staff member named Kaylyn. We knew she was about to give last call, but she gave us a menu and a beverage with a big smile and said “No problem, you guys are fine!” Very cool! Our food came out hot and fresh and fast. It was so yummy! We topped off our glasses and headed to our comfy room. The beds there are awesome. We stop at this Hotel quite a bit as it is the half way point to most of our travels to visit family. We always sleep so good here. The rooms are like little log cabins and very clean. We love it there. We always look forward to our stay there. Thank you to the whole Staff for all your help in always making our stay there, so pleasant! We will always come back. :-)

We were very impressed with the hotel, the service, the restaurant was good, the bar was cute. It's simple but a great location, have to give an extra shout out to Mallory who went the extra mile for us when we were checking in.

The room was nice, the food was good. The front desk staff were very helpful in suggesting hikes for me. There were even kind enough to let my look at the local hiking guide and make copies of the hikes I wished to do. I will be happy to visit them again.

On a road trip, and coming down from Portland, we decided to make a stop in Shasta. We are so glad we did! Booked a room here and chose the two room king suite. Little did I know that it was the Cedar Sweet and not only were there two rooms but a small kitchen as well. Very friendly greeting when I walked. The woman who helped me was excited that it was our first time to Shasta and the Tree House. She explained a little about the hotel, and the surrounding area. The room was on the third floor, and though it was on the highway side, the room faced Mt. Shasta and the view is great!!! Nice comfy beds, large bathroom with vanity outside, and a functional kitchenette. I decided I'm not leaving! Some may think it needs an updating, but I think it's fine just the way it is! The hotel is dog friendly, and Cako just made herself at home. As a guest, you get a discount on breakfast and I got ours to go. Normally we are on the road but we stayed until checkout. Again, the view is just serene and calming. It's beautiful in the evening light as well! Cako Approves!

We spend a night in this hotel every year either on our way to Washington state or back home to Arizona. The staff is great. Very welcoming and helpful. Coopers bar is a great little nook for drinks and food. Kaylen the bartender/hostess is terrific. So cute and friendly. The food is really good. On this visit I had the butternut squash ravioli with brown butter sauce with pine nuts, hubby had the French dip special. He said it was the best ever. Such a convenience to be able to have good drinks and food without driving. The rooms are very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The views of Mt Shasta from the room are beautiful. On this visit we stayed in room 103 on the ground floor. We were able to sit outside our room on a small front patio. Great for drinks with great views of the mountain This town is very scenic. Many good shops and restaurants. Many are within walking distance of BW. It is worth the stop. One caution!!!!! There is road construction on Hwy 5 near the exits to town. Back ups are common but the hassle is worth the stay

On our way to Eugene Oregon, we stayed overnight in Mount Shasta. I love the rustic feel of the hotel surrounded by trees and a and panoramic view of Mount Shasta. Clean, comfortable and spacious room with spectacular view. Very welcoming and personable staff.

This hotel has great views of Mount Shasta. Our room was very small and the air conditioning was very hard to control. The food at the bar was mediocre. We had the chili dogs and they had way too much chili powder and was not very tasty. We probably won't stay here again.

Wow! We stayed 3 nights with our dog and were very happy. Rooms are comfortable and well insulated from noise. We paid extra for view room ($40 a night) and it was well worth it. We had take-out dinner one night and breakfasts on the balcony. Was fun to see how Mt. Shasta changes. This was first time we had traveled with our dog and it worked out well - lots of yard areas and even pet waste bags provided. Close to grocery store (across street) and restaurants. Didn't try the on-site restaurant. Did use the hot tub - felt great after a day of hiking. Only issue in room was air flow - we left open the balcony doors a lot to cool room, but there was no cross-flow air (so we opened the windows in hallway). And, the light switch was crooked in the bathroom. The parking lot was full every night. Will be back.

My experience started off very well here - checkin was smooth. 5-star treatment. Lovely lady at check-in. Then it went downhill ending with a sour taste on checkout. Day 2 had no room cleanup. Day 3 had 2 issues. 1. At the restaurant, I got separated from my group. I had to sit later, but got service and finished. My friends table at the restaurant still had no food as I was exiting. My dish was not perfect either. The crab cake benedict had little or no crab, but manager did adjust on cost. Issue 2: Requested and got late checkout. However amnesia set in on checkout day. Manager made me feel all bad and threatening to charge for late checkout, while employee had to do CYA on what he promised. So overall a lovely property. But service needs to be bit more consistent. Friday's team did 5 star service, while the Sunday team left me with 1-star impression. BTW, walls are reasonable padded but you can hear steps from floor above u.

We selected this hotel for our Memorial Day Weekend trip to Mount Shasta because of its location; it is right off of I-5, with lots of gas stations nearby, a grocery store right across the street that is open early and late, and a couple of coffee shops within walking distance. It is also a great central hub for exploring Castle Crags State Park to the south, the waterfalls to the east, the buttes to the north, and Castle Lake to the west. The room we stayed in faced the highway so it was a little noisy, but the nice air conditioning unit/fan was able to cover up most of that noise. If you're a particularly light sleeper, I'd suggest getting a room that doesn't face the highway. We were on the lower floor, and you can park right outside your room, which is convenient if you have a lot of gear. An upstairs room is only accessible from the inside of the hotel, which would have been a bit more private. It was very convenient to have a microwave and fridge in the room to store leftovers and cool our water bottles. The shower temperature and pressure were pretty good, too. My only qualms are that I wish the bed and pillows had been a bit more comfortable (they were a bit too soft for my liking), and I wish the price had been a little lower. All in all, though, the hotel was great for its purpose and I would consider staying there again if I were in the area.

Our room had a gorgeous view of Mt Shasta! The queen sized bed was super comfy and besides being clean and having two sinks, all the regular amenities, the room was quiet! We stayed on the ground floor and could park directly outside our room,so easy to load and unload. This Best Western has a nice indoor pool and hot tub, an exercise room and a bar and grill on site. We decided to try their second on-site restaurant and were very impressed with the place. It had a great view of the mountain and great food too! Service was lovely and we weren't rushed. I ordered the salmon and it was so yummy!

This is a great place to stay if you are in the area The staff are friendly, attentive and very helpful. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. We had drinks in the lounge and dinner at the restaurant, the servers were extremely attentive, making sure that we had everything that we needed.

We spent one night here and it was good. Room was spacious and clean. The staff at the restaurant and front desk are really nice people. The beds are comfortable and I slept well. The food in the restaurant was great. I would stay here again next time!

We pulled into the parking lot and we were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant on the side had a couple of guys playing a Pink Floyd song, very nice! Our room was ready and we went up the flight of stairs with our suitcases. There is no elevator. It was a nice rustic room that came with a fridge, microwave and a single cup coffeemaker. The bedspread was showing signs of wear but overall the room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was super friendly and ask if we needed anything to let her know. The front desk was personable and helpful with are questions about the area. There is plenty of parking and across the street is a small shopping center with a supermarket. The restaurant was on the premises so there wasn't a free breakfast. If you have a Tesla they provide plenty of charging stations and also more across the street. Being an older hotel there wasn't a lot of usb ports so that should be considered when staying here. But the biggest and best thing about this particular hotel is the view! Mt. Shasta is simply spectacular. You just have to see it for yourself.

We spent two nights in a room with a view of Mt. Shasta, located on the second floor of building 3. The room was very nice, had all the usual and necessary amenities. The hotel itself has the feel of a lodge, along with its confusing corridors and stairways. It does have a coin operated laundry, which served us well as we were at the end of the first week of our 2-week driving vacation. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a full-service restaurant which serves decent food and has evening entertainment. The lodge is located just off I-5, just off one of the main streets of the village of Mt. Shasta. The tourist bureau is a couple of blocks up the street (away from the Interstate) and the entire village is easily walkable from the lodge. Our room with a “mountain view” also had a view of the rooftop equipment of the adjacent wing - e.g. the HVAC system - so really, it's not worth the extra cost - you get great mountain views anywhere from the village. Driving to the mountain is about 30 minutes to the Bunny Flats parking lot, where you can hike all (or part) way to the summit or just enjoy the view. Overall, great location, friendly staff and confortable place to stay.

We only stayed here one night, but the room was nice, clean and quiet. The room did have a fridge, but no freezer (diabetics take note—we had to run our ice packs down to the front desk for overnight freezing). The hotel has plenty of parking and beautiful vistas in every direction. All in all, a nice place to stay.

Great staff and dog friendly property. We loved that we were in close proximity of all the outdoor activities we enjoyed with our dog. The Tree House Best Western had rooms with high ceilings which we liked as it gave an open feel to the room.

This hotel was in a wonderful location with beautiful grounds. We had a small patio looking onto a courtyard with a waterfall. We had dinner in the restaurant and were extremely impressed with the quality!!!

The Treehouse, Best Western is adequate..and I think overpriced. The Ads talk about a spectacular view of Mt Shasta: I think you can see it from a couple rooms of the second floor over the lobby. Rest of the rooms have no significant view. The Beds rate a one star or less Comfort Level. The rooms are clean, but I found many candy wrappers under our beds that we sure didn't put there. We ask if they had Senior or AAA discounts when we checked in Thursday night in for 5 days: they offered a discount, but we checked out after 3 days, on Sunday Morning, and they cancelled any discounts and charged the higher weekend rate. Almost $500, with California Tax. Our friends stayed at a Comfort or Choice inn for $88 per night and they got a free breakfast. The best this place does is give a 25% discount if you eat breakfast in the Dining Room. The Dining is adequate, $60 + tip for 2 Seniors with black coffee and no alcoholic drinks. I wanted something special for my wife for our 24th Anniversary: Better Luck with the 25th. There is a Shopping Center, with Ray's Supermarket within walking distance where we brought back food since my wife has a gluten-free diet. Mt Shasta is a nice town with spectacular views of Mt Shasta. We were there for an Artist Workshop in Oil Painting. If you come to Mt Shasta check all available motels for what best serves you and your family. Best prices seem to be on CA-99 on the south side of town. This motel seems to have the most convenient location for I-5 and town access, but not much of a view of Mt Shasta. Average rating for people staying one night and will spend $200+ if you eat there. Poor rating if you expect a view of Mt Shasta and a comfortable nights sleep.

My wife and I just spent five nights at the Best Western Plus Tree House in Mount Shasta. We were in Mount Shasta fishing with Jack Trout fly fishing. We had great fishing and we truly enjoyed our stay at the treetop. Our room looked out to the magnificent Mount Shasta. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was good. The staff was friendly and cheerful. Youu can't go wrong with the treetop. Book a bit in advance as the the front desk rates will be substantially more. We would definitely stay at the treetop again.

My neighbors house burned down today and when he called to get a room for himself, his wife, and 3 young boys, he was told that they DO NOT rent to local people. He even explained to them that his house just burned down and the answer was still NO. I am in disbelief that any hotel would do this, and I find it unbelievable that Best Western condones this practice. I can tell you with certainty that I will never refer any out of town visitors to this hotel, nor will I ever eat in their restaurant again, and we have been regular customers over the years. This is a disgrace.

Nice property. It's clean and modern. They allowed my two Border Collies for a fee of $20 per night for both. They gave me a first floor room with both interior and exterior entrances which was handy with the dogs. Breakfast is not included, but guests are given a 25% reduction for breakfast in the restaurant. I usually eat at Black Bear down the street. I would stay there again.

I was on the 2nd floor with the spectacular view of Mt. Shasta. I was lucky because it was a clear day and no cloud cover. Room is ample for one person. Everything worked including internet. Hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, movie theatre and freeway. This BW has a bar and restaurant. You get a certain percentage off your breakfast the following day.

Hotel room was fine, average, okay. Hallways were dark and noisy; whenever someone walked past our room at night it woke us up! Pillows were old and lumpy. Restaurant food was okay. Service was friendly but unprofessional. You're in the middle of nowhere so I don't expect there to be 4-star service. Overall it's okay for a place to stay while passing through. And if you had kids they might enjoy the indoor pool.

Would definitely recommend. We only stayed 1 night but will stay longer next trip. Hotel is centrally located with easy access to all activities and restaurants. Has great staff! Rooms were clean and comfortable!

We stayed here with our two Westies (dogs). This is a very comfortable hotel with a wonderful indoor swimming pool and good restaurant. The room was nice, with both an outdoor and indoor entrance/exit. Great place across the parking lot to walk the dogs. Dinner and breakfast were tasty and servers pleasant. Mt. Shasta is spectacular and some rooms have views of it. In any case, you can see the mountain from the parking lot. Highly recommended!

This Best Western was extremely disappointing. It's a very unique building and could be very nice but the bed was so uncomfortable that I barely slept at all. My husband and I really enjoy sitting outside for a glass of wine, if possible, after a day of traveling but the sitting area outside of our room needed a lot of attention. It could have been beautiful because it was right at the base of a landscaped waterfall but the 2 chairs, table, and the ground were dirty...I even scraped some gum up by the table because it grossed me out. Plus a few minutes of raking rocks back into place at the base of the waterfall could have made it perfect. Breakfast with stay is pretty much the norm even at facilities that charged less than what we paid here but there was no breakfast. There is a restaurant in the facility with a discount provided but the prices were quite high and we choose to go elsewhere. This experience has caused me to distrust the Best Western brand and especially Best Western Plus. There was no

The tree house is a very unique hotel. The decor is amazing, reflecting the region with wood accents throughout and huge wooden doors. Check in was friendly and professional and we appreciated the ramps at the back. It is a great hotel to relax and shake off the road for awhile.

Staff is very friendly/helpful, the rooms are nice & clean. Many different types of rooms to choose from, all at a great price! Nice that it is located near the highway, but once inside, you can't hear any highway noise. We will continue to stay at this hotel in the future for all business and/or personal trips!

Right next to I5, can be noisy. Beds are comfortable however and rooms are a decent size. They have 2 restaurants and an indoor pool (we didn't use as the smell of chlorine was overwhelming), as well as a jacuzzi. Very dog friendly, dog park in the back parking lot, dogs welcome out on the patio of the restaurant and in hotel lobby. 5 minutes from town, super convenient location with a Rays supermarket within 2 mins walk, as well as a Roundtable pizza and a Subway. Great views of Shasta and rooms in the rear are quiet. Staff is all great, very friendly and helpful. Overall pleasant place to stay. Would get 4 stars but we came back from a day of hiking to find out door open, probably from housekeeping who had forgotten to close it. Not super happy with that.

The exterior of the hotel presents a clean and pleasant style. The lobby exudes comfort, much like a lodge. However, the rooms throw you back to the 1980's and are not comfortable at all. With all of the hotel chains to choose from these days, BW, should really update their rooms for comfort.

Our one-bedroom suite was very clean, comfortable and quiet with a nice mountain view. Pleasant, accommodating staff. Pool and spa were busy with other families who, like us, were visiting the nearby Shasta Snow Park. Only complaint was the poor-quality cooking in the on-site restaurant.

How anyone could not absolutely love ?? the ??Treehouse ?? is beyond my comprehension...our favorite place to stay while traveling fro OR to The SW. (And we stay at many BW'terns). It's a magical place with exemplary customer service, FANTASTIC FOOD and perfectly appointed rooms. The first time we stayed, we were on the Northside third floor and had a fantastic mountain view but we much preferred the sea ?? level ?? room we got the next time thru as we were able to back the truck up to an adorable "little porch" and easily unload ?? dog, luggage etc. SO FLIPPING COZY! ...and spotless! No other place would we stay in the area! Thank you all employees for making this a nice respite on an otherwise weary journey! ??

I would love to come back again at this time of year. This Best Western is in a quaint location. The lobby had a comfy vibe and beautiful wood interior with a gift shop. Great location to visit the little shops in town. Hotel was so nice and had a great pet area.

Had an overnight stay at this location and found it to be very nice, comfortable and quiet. The staff was great, check-in a breeze and the view from our room of Mt. Shasta was awesome. This is a pleasant change from the typical ubiquitous hotel chains. The building has a lodge look. The rooms open both from the street and onto a hallway. They are comfortable and the bathroom has two sinks, one in with the shower and toilet and one out of that area. This certainly makes it quicker for two people to get moving in the morning. Breakfast is not included but there is a restaurant and a discount on breakfast. Food was good there.

Met our son here for a weekend. Fire blazing, comfy bar, great bar food. Stayed the weekend and truly enjoyed our stay, had a room with a small view of Mt Shasta. We will stay there again, and have already sent friends there..

We always enjoy our selves when visiting this hotel. The pool and hot tub are a big hit with the kids and the bar/lounge are a hit with the parents. Feels like a home away from home. We bring our dogs for a getaway as well, very pet friendly!

We had a very reasonably priced room, and the view of Mt. Shasta out the room's window was pretty stunning. We were in and out pretty quickly, so I can't speak much to the hotel's amenities, but the front desk staff were outstanding.

We stayed here on the recommendation from a friend. We were greeted in the lobby with smiles and a great welcome....nice way to start our stay. Cozy restaurant across the street. The sweetest mountain top experience with views of Mount Shasta, friendliest staff and exceptional food! I tell all my friends who are traveling in the area they must stop here. The air is clean, the people are friendly, they have an indoor pool and training center. Well worth the stop.

The Hubs and I are on the road again. Packing for a long road trip. Never really knowing where we are going to end up to rest for the night? So solid plans are not our forte. I'm usually googling places to stay that we can rest a few hours out, when I decide to save a few bucks and use one of those cheap hotel booking sites. HUGE mistake! The website took off like a fire hose with my credit card info! So distressing!! It took me almost 2 hours to cancel the card info and it booked me on the wrong dates! I had absolutely NO control of booking my dates! It just flashed on the screen in bold letters; “CONGRATULATIONS, YOU'RE GOING TO MT. SHASTA ON JAN. 5th!” How unfortunate was that??? I needed the reservation for Dec. 23rd! I wound up calling the Tree House Best Western in Mount Shasta and making my reservation with an actual real person that was actually on property! Yay me!! They gave me my reservation at a awesome rate! Super easy to deal with! When we got there I explained to the ladies behind the desk, Tenzin & Michelle, my nightmare cheap hotel website episode and they told me to never use those sites! They said to always call them direct and promised comparable prices! They were SO nice and friendly! They gave us such a nice room and breakfast vouchers and put a smile back on our faces! Huge shout out to Tenzin & Michelle for easing the pain and giving us excellent customer service! We'll definitely be back ??????

My spouse and I have stayed at the Tree House multiple times on trips along I-5. This hotel's best feature has to be the indoor pool and spa...they are both awesome. The food at the restaurant is consistent and the service at the bar is friendly. They allow dogs for $20/night/dog. Easy access to the freeway, only a short walk to the main strip in Mt. Shasta. Also right next to a grocery store and they have multiple Tesla Charging Stations next to the property. Highly recommend this hotel. Prices vary but we've been able to time our trips and catch some great rates for less $100/night. But we've also seen rates as high as $285/night.

Very bad pancakes. It should not be hard to make a descent order of pancakes. the pancakes were not even mixed up, the basking soda was not even mixed up in the batter. this is not rocked science, my 10 year old granddaughter could make better pancakes

We stopped here on our drive from frisco to Seattle through several national parks...had taken the suite which was pretty spacious ..comfortable bed.. restaurant food was decent.,, you also have some other restaurants within a few minutes drive..... friendly staff at front desk who were very helpful....think this hotel is the only decent hotel here.. others are mostly home stays and smaller ones.....

The tree top was our last night on the road!!! It was cold, dark and raining when we arrived. The lobby was warm and welcoming. The Christmas decorations were perfect for this log cabin setting. There was a roaring fire. We got in to our room settled in for a few minutes then went to the bar/lounge and had dinner. The server was wonderful and professional. We had a great nights sleep and woke up to a dusting of snow and lots of ice on the road. Check out was noon so that gave us time to have a nice breakfast and get repacked. By the time we left the road was much improved.

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff and homely surroundings. Low rise hotel with really good restaurant. Reserved a table and had a really nice meal. I would say the best of the holiday, I had Chicken Marsala and my husband had Stuffed Chicken. It was half price wine night as well, so that made it even more enjoyable. Overlooking Mt Shasta so excellent views outside. Rays Food place over the road for food shopping. Would recommend.

The Hotel was OK for Mt Shasta, but the most expensive hotel in town. Food is good but priced higher than other restaurants. Rooms are OK but not many perks. TV reception was very poor at times. Parking was plentiful, although we were at the hotel during a holiday period.

The Tree House is in a great location, just off the main road into Shasta. Rooms on the first floor have views of Mount Shasta and we were lucky enough to get one and enjoyed the view as the clouds cleared during the afternoon. Rooms are large and comfortable .. queen beds are huge and you can easily sink into them for a great night's sleep! The atmosphere here is friendly and relaxed and all the staff were extremely welcoming, trying to make our stay as good as it could be. Breakfast was great - we had pancakes and oatmeal which were both delicious and served with plenty of side extras. Altogether a great place to stay after (or before) a hike to Mount Shasta.

Stayed there only one night but what a beautiful spot! Although even in fall time and the rain it was great. The hotel is well kept and we enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby which also you could see in the dining room. The building kept with the mountain scene and although we never ventured out of the hotel the area would be awesome in the summer. We had breakfast there as the hotel provided a discount coupon with your stay. We enjoyed the friendly staff and the scenery despite the rain. To bad we were on our way home and the weather wasn't cooperating with our journey!

My room was impeccably clean and the trades who installed the tile and caulking and painting were excellent. ( I am into detail.) I also like the sanitized TV remote and the crisp white sheets and duvet. The decor fits the area with wood everywhere, also clean and well maintained. It is worth the price.

didn't like bed, it was to hard. very confusing on how they numbered rooms. found out after I searched around that the 300 on my room number was the third wing and not the third floor. I just assumed and didn't listen when told how to find my room .Didnt have room service

My wife and I were traveling through the area and read reviews on line trying to find a decent place to stay. We decided to try the Best Western Plus Tree House in Mount Shasta and were quite pleased with the choice. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were big and very well designed. The doors to the room allowed some hallway noise and could be improved upon, but not a big problem during our stay. The restaurant was very nice and food was good. It was good to be able to stay in the hotel and have a very nice meal after a long day of travel.

Without exception, the Tree House Inn in Mt. Shasta is my favorite all time place to stay. They never fail to go the extra mile and can always accommodate any special need you might have. Late checkout, early arrival and clean digs are always options there. LOVE, LOVE THEM!

We were very sad they have gotten rid of their amazing breakfast buffet. It was definitely the reason we kept coming back. The hotel is nice, service good but quick breakfast in the hotel make a it easier for our family to get out the door on our road trip!

We stood for two nights on our way north to hike around Mt. Shasta. Staff was very friendly and forthcoming. Our room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was not included but could be had at the hotel restaurant. A nice bar is available for drinks and food in the evening. The rooms next to us were being remodeled with new a/c units which caused some noise during the day. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We were passing through and needed a place for the night. A little pricey, but the cleanliness of the room and awesome shower (warm and excellent pressure, rare in hotels) made it worth the $$. If we come back this way again, we will stay here.

I had stayed at the Best Western Tree House once before and remembered it as being clean and comfortable. This time however; it exceeded my expectations as I stayed 5 nights while working on final preparations of my son's Mt. Shasta wedding. The location was perfect, centrally located and close to everywhere I needed to go and especially right across the street to Rays Grocers who seemed to be open later than all other merchants in the town and where I could quickly pick up extra last minute items still needed for our event. The beautiful shrubs and trees on the hotel grounds were well maintained and the waterfall right outside my room showed the thought put into the hotel's landscaping. My room was spacious and the 2 entries, one into the enclosed hall leading to the lobby and the other opening up to a sunny patio seating area outside with courtyard view and the waterfall were very nice. One main thing in particular I noticed is how well insulated my room seemed to be as I could hear nothing from either I-5 close by, the hallway, the room above me, or the room beside mine. This rated high with me as I have found noise intrusion to be very irritating at other places I've stayed. All in all I would stay again without any hesitation as it was comfortable, clean and I felt safe and secure in my surroundings which was highly important to me as a female traveling alone until later in the week when I was then joined by my husband. The icing on the cake was the view of spectacular Mt. Shasta when I stepped outside!!

This Hotel is a 10 plus! everything about it is warm and inviting and a very home like feel. The interior is all beautiful wood and the rooms are very very clean. The swimming pool and hot tub are extra large as well and there is a restaurant on site.

The hotel is located close to the Highway but it is absolutely quiet. The rooms are a liitle bit old fashioned but well maintained and clean. The hotel has two restaurants bit we did not try them and complimentary parking

As usual we had a wonderful experience and don't stay anywhere else when we travel north. The view from the dining room of Mt. Shasta is stunning and the warmth from the wood burning fireplace is peaceful.

Comfortable rooms and beds; great service. A great place to relax and has a beautiful view of Mt. Shasta. Rooms are clean. The restaurant serves good food and has great service. If anything needs attention, it is taken care of quickly and efficiently.

Nicely kept three-story facility (elevator,) with high-quality restaurant attached. Some rooms feature breath-taking views and private balconies. Very courteous and attentive staff. The property is located adjacent to the freeway, but most rooms are away from the highway noise. Nice fireplace in reception area.

Beautiful views of Mt. Shasta is visible from many of the rooms at this hotel. The staff is excellent: helpful, professional, caring, prompt. The pool and hotel facilities were clean with no odors. The food in the restaurant was good. I think the dinner menu could be updated a bit, but the shrimp scampi and season veggies was very good. The quality of prime rib needs to be upgraded. Other than that, everything was good and we would definitely stay here again.

This was a last minute stop during my road trip. Late in the evening I was not sure any rooms would be available, but they got me in, a little higher price than the two previous Best Westerns, but the location I had little options. Great room but I did not use any other services on this stay.

In my opinion, nothing special stood out to rate this hotel exceptional. The hotel is unusual in decor, the halls were a maze, no free hot breakfast, packaged cookies thrown into a plastic container on the front desk and employees (3) sitting on their hands at the front desk while one did the work. The room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view of the air conditioning unit on the roof on the building next to us.

Excellent all around. Great people, great location, great everything. Make sure you visit the Fish Hatchery just across the freeway. I stay at a lot of Best Westerns throughout California Oregon and Arizona. Love the brand. However this one stands out as my favorite.

Fairly nice place to stay. I'd recommend with only small reservations. The food in the restaurant is surprisingly OKAY and there is a shopping center nearby with a supermarket, so you can make stuff in the microwave and have fresh fruit, if you're so inclined. Nice view of the mountains. They need to get heaters for the patio so you can sit out at night in all sorts of weather.

We have stayed at at the Best Western Plus Tree House over the years and it is one of our favorite getaway locations. The rooms are terrific and the view of Mt. Shasta is beautiful. Hotel was fine, bar/restaurant staff was outstanding. Had a pretty decent clump of hair stuck to the wall of the shower. Reported it to the front desk that morning. Came back and room was cleaned but hair remained.

It's not often you arrive at any hotel and actually have your expectations completely surpassed. We contacted the hotel in advance asking for an accessible, quiet room. Not only did the staff hold the perfect accommodation for us, they were courteous and took their time with each customer during the check in process. The staff are upbeat, cheerful, and really set the standard high for customer service. Our room was well located, was quiet, and well appointed. There is also a coffee station available in the lobby for folks wanting a freshly brewed cup. The property is well maintained and this is our go to place to stay in Mount Shasta.

The Best Western Tree House is a great place to stay! It is close to the highway, close to shopping, and a five minute drive to Mt. Shasta! Everyone is very attentive and helpful. If you stay here, be sure to check out the restaurant and the bar & grill. Both have amazing staff and really excellent food choices. We will definitely be returning!!

If you stay here, make sure you get a room that is not facing the gas station and parking lot otherwise you will not have any privacy nor open curtains to see anything outside! The room is really small, less than 200 sq ft. This hotel exaggerates its views, so if you want a good view, make sure you stay upstairs and not downstairs where you will look into parked cars only a few feet from your window! The staff at the counter in the daytime are very kind and helpful but one woman who took my booking did not represent the room accurately, saying it was a mountain view room when it actually was blocked by trees, and most of the view was of the parked cars in the lot. It was the most disappointing misrepresentation I've experienced in many years as a frequent traveler.

I love staying at this Best Western Tree House. I really like the types of rooms, lounge and restaurant. I use the fitness center as well as the lounge and restaurant. The food and drinks are great. I sometimes plan trips just so I can stay at the Tree House.

Greatl staff and very clean and well maintained. BEDS are great! The staff is helpful and friendly. They are willing to work with you to find the best prices to help you secure a room. We love visiting here and having a meal in the dinning room looking at the Mountain.

The Tree House in Mt Shasta has spacious rooms, is pet friendly, and a very positive energy. The staff were so up beat and went beyond just doing their jobs. There was live music to add to the atmosphere. It is my go to place in Mt Shasta.

Beautiful hotel and very spacious and warm room with a perfect view of Mount Shasta. Staff was very friendly and outgoing And the food was quick and delicious! We enjoyed the walk into the quaint little village

Restaurant offered decent food, decent price. Breakfast was unfortunately not included in the reservation however desk provided a 25% discount for breakfast for their customers. Breakfast was fairly priced and not expensive, with very large portions! Cottage potatoes were too greasy. Pancakes were huge but good.

I don't understand the great reviews for this hotel. We had some hairs on our pillows when we arrived, and the bedspread was very old and dirty looking. In fact the whole bed was old and funky looking, the pillows were terrible - as well as someone else's hairs, yuck. I had a lukewarm shower, no hot water at all, and that was a very unpleasant experience. When I checked out I let the front desk person know, and he didn't really seem to care, and certainly never offered a refund or anything. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, or stay here again. Extremely overrated.

We were charged $260/night for a tired noisy room in late September. (which I thought would have been off season). we could clearly hear conversations from the adjacent room. in addition there is a train nearby which we heard throughout the night. unlike most BW hotels there is no complementary breakfast available and we were only provided a 25% off coupon at the attached restaurant. Convenient location but poor value.

We love the Tree House--it's the one place we stay in Mt. Shasta whenever our travels take us near. We've stayed there 8-10 times over the years, and often re-route our travel plans to include Mt. Shasta and the Tree House. We have a favorite restaurant in town that we use often, but we've also eaten delicious meals in the Tree House's restaurant as well. The motel is very comfortable, with spacious rooms that make it easy to relax; some on the side facing Mount Shasta even have "front porches" where you can enjoy the views of the mountain while having snacks or wine/cocktails. If you're traveling on the I-5 (or nearby), it's a great choice!

Some rooms on freeway side and some rooms with views of Mt Shasta. The Mt Shasta side has infrequent trains going by. Plenty of parking. Two levels of rooms in three wings with no elevators. Upper rooms have vaulted ceilings but lower rooms have minuscule patios. Smallish, in my humble opinion, but adequate rooms. Nice large flat screen, HBO, no safe, desk with roller chair and lounge chair with footstool, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. And two stands or places for suitcases...imagine that! Wall mounted air-conditioner and plenty of electric outlets. The usual- plastic drinking glasses (only two), washcloths and toiletries provided, USA Today and coffee available in the lobby. No brekkie at my $140 rate which means effectively add $25 to your room rate. They do offer a 25% discount for brekkie in the restaurant. Good free wi-fi (very important) in our room 233.

Excellent choice for full service motel which includes a restaurant and lounge. This room has a private patio to view the beautiful new landscaped yard. We enjoyed a fresh brewed cup of coffee and the cool mountain air after our drive in above 100 degree heat. Very nice!

Rooms were nice, clean and spacious with plenty of outlets. What I liked the best was a room with an outside door plus inside door. It is so nice to back up to the door to unload heavy suitcases. I wish all hotels had this feature. Front desk was were good. The restaurant was fantastic. Dinner menus was large and food was prepared well. Breakfast was equally as good. Real breakfast with discount coupon from front desk. Did not have the nasty free breakfast that the others serve!

Love the place the price sometimes is a little high to me but I love with in the lounge has a band and I can just relaxing comfortably stay there. The food served in the bar from the restaurant is delicious the staff is great my bed it was extremely comfortable I just felt that the price was a bit on the high side

The Tree House Hotel in Mt Shasta is extremely well located, just walking distance from downtown. It has all the amenities you'd want--nice, clean rooms, great restaurant and bar, indoor pool, and exercise room. Both interior and exterior are very attractive.

Very noisy rattling AC and nothing can be done about it - not all rooms. If you're facing the freeway you can hear it clearly (avoid that side). Not worth $220 per night. Room set-up very strange: 2 rooms with beds in them, this is not a real suite, so false advertising. See pictures. Also, good luck watching TV at that angle. Final bill discrepancies, had to go back to have it fixed. This place needs major updates or should be sold to a better hotel chain.

We stopped for three days in one of the rooms with a view of mount Shasta which gave an impressive view which was constantly changing with the light. I would recommend these rooms. The staff were all helpful. We had breakfast one day and it was good being freshly made served quickly. If driving down freeway 5 or for a short break I recommend this hotel.

So for starters, my "mountain view" room offered an expansive view of the parking lot with just a sliver of mountain in sight. The king bed I asked for turned out to be a queen. On top of being dated, the room could have been cleaned better. It was on the, which I would expect in an old building like this.

Not a bad hotel, little dated with the decor unless you like the 70"s look. Clean, well kept, A/C needs to be replaced, loud and not that good.. I would stay in it again since I had been in the Comfort Inn down the road in Weed for 4 nites and it was not a good experience..

We planned a overnight stop in Mount Shasta and booked this hotel! I researched the hotels in the area and decided on the Tree House. Marci was amazing and made sure everything was perfect for our visit. Unfortunately the fires in the state were so bad we couldn't even see Mount Shasta from our hotel room window That aside the hotel was perfect being they had an indoor Swimming Pool and Hot Tub. This fact alone makes this hotel the number one hotel in Mount Shasta. We had a long drive and drove down from Vancouver, CA and there is nothing better then after a long days drive than an amazing swim and dunk in the pool and /or Hot Tub. Thank you BWPTH for an amazing relaxing stay

We stayed at this BW while attending a car show in Mt. Shasta City. We were so pleased with everything about this hotel. We like to get a room where we can easily park our classic cars as well as see them from our room. The staff did a great job accommodating our needs. Plus the room was very comfortable and had a great layout. It was also quiet enough where we could get a good nights sleep. The on-site restaurant and bar was a great bonus as well. The food was really good and the atmosphere very comfortable. We really enjoyed our dining experience each time we ate there. Thanks so much to all the staff and their efforts. We will definitely be back!

Hair in sink of bathroom, room has weird smell, bed comfortable, not cleaned enough. hotel is eerie, I would not stay here again. The pictures make it look wonderful, should have known better., we were however given $45 off the bill once we complained at check-out. majorly overpriced for what this is, but the best bit is the Tesla car chargers. Other than that, pretty awful hotel. Couldn't bring myself to eat the breakfast, just stayed one night and bolted. Overall, they need to renovate the whole thing. Also expect loud train noises all night long!! Don't try sleep.

You will want to make sure to arrange your travel to stay in the Best Western Treehouse in Mount Shasta, California. The employees are friendly, helpful, and pleased to be of service to guests. The bed was one of the most comfortable of our hotel stays. The bar and restaurant serve a wide variety of food and drink options that are worth coming home to in the evening after a day out in the wonderlands that surround Mount Shasta. The hotel decor is appropriate for the area, and exceptional in its style. We loved everything about this hotel! You will be happy with a choice to stay at the Best Western Treehouse hotel in Mount Shasta, California.

This hotel rates as excellent in our view. The rooms are great. The restaurant is delightful. Hotel staff customer relations are top notch. The indoor pool and hot tub are marvelous. We recomment this hotel highly.

We stayed 2 nights and thought the hotel was a pretty good choice. Had a king bed room on second floor with mountain view. Spacious room and bathroom. Quiet ( except the trains) despite being near road. Convenient location to walk to several restaurants. Staff all friendly. Loved the fact we could get to Shasta hikes really quickly. The only thing that may prevent us staying again is the fact a train line is nearby and trains come through constantly even during the night and blare the horn - woke us up even with ear plugs.

If you happen to be passing through Mt Shasta City, or it is your destination, consider staying at the Best Western Tree House. You can't go wrong and if you have a furry pet with you, they are pet friendly. There are restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores in close proximity and a lovely little town with lots of shops to explore, plus easy on and off freeway access on I-5. Also railroad buffs will love the sound of an occasional freight train passing through on the Union Pacific mainline.

Best Western, Mt. Shasta. Get a mountain view if you can, though there was smoke from fires buring everywhere, obscuring pristine views. Our king/view Room has a “bar” sink, as well as a sink in the toilet area. Shower/tub with a mat and grab bar. Lots of brownie points for towel racks. Three of them. This is a first. Frig, no freezer,microwave, good lighting. Breakfast no longer free. They claim food waste, which sounds legitimate. HowEVER, instead of giving each person a choice of, say, 5 different limited menus included in the price of the room, instead you are offered a 20% (if memory serves) off coupon. Perhaps because we're used to B.W's including breakfast in the cost of the room, I find the "coupon" very annoying. The restaurant food was average. There is also a separate bar. It took a bit of a hunt to find the 2 sets of stairs leading down to the huge dining/reception area. EXIT signs abound, but not at all helpful, as most seem to lead to closets or closed doors. Rather dangerous, should there be a fire.The rooms are all situated in a"U" shape surrounding the huge area below.

Friendly staff, good restaurant and great location. This BW+ has many amenities if you are staying on a leisure trip, such as an indoor pool, laundry etc. Its proximity to the I-5 was amazingly quiet. The complex is a little lake a maze, but hallway signs were good in directing to the lobby and restaurant.

We really enjoyed our weekend here. The hotel was very nice for our whole family. The grounds are very pretty. The rooms were very quiet. We rented 4 different rooms and each one was nice and had a good view. Breakfast was slow, but exceptionally tasty. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights in late August, toward the end of high season. My wife and I had a room that was clean and spacious, and we had an adjoining room with a bed and TV for our 10-year-old, with a shared bath for the three of us. As many of the reviews here have mentioned, the location is ideal for seeing all the sights in and around Mount Shasta. The decor is modern rustic, very appropriate for the region. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the dining room. Granted, we only had breakfast there the first morning, but none of our dishes were very flavorful or appealing, and the service was very happy hazard. The coffee left a lot to be desired too. So we ate out for all our other meals, which was just fine because Shasta has so many wonderful options.

I have to say that our stay was excellent. Room very clean, and ACs were very quiet, contrary to other posts. Food also very good. Liked the breakfast menu!!! If staying in Shasta, I highly recommend. From direct booking at hotel to check-out, all wonderful and cheery service. Well done, staff!!

This hotel was the best stop over from central Oregon after the 2017 solar eclipse. This hotel is location to the finest golf and amazing mountain view's of Mt Shasta. Also, the hotel host the largest indoor swimming pool in northern California. Thomas Braun
