    « CONDEMNED! »

This hotel has been closed and condemned since the end of December! It looks very run down and sketchy. For some reason I was able to book it on booking.com even though it is closed. Luckily I got a full refund.

    « Punitive cancellation policy »

A buddy and I planned a motorcycle trip through eastern Washington for the first week of October and included a single night stay for two rooms at the Shilo in Moses Lake. Well, his moto broke down the day we were to check in and we had to cancel the trip. I called the desk to cancel the reservations and was informed by the clerk that the "computer says you are supposed to check in and, if you don't, you will be charged full price". I objected to that but was told "There's a 24 hour cancellation and besides it's in the computer, there's nothing we can do. Oh, and every hotel has a 24 hour cancellation policy." I replied that that's not the case and was dismissed by the clerk telling me "it's in the computer". I realize that a business must protect itself, that cancellations can be detrimental to the bottom line, but to be dismissed by an officious clerk and to be charged full price for two rooms isn't going to lead to customer loyalty. I have stayed at this location a number of times in the past but won't consider it for any future travel.

If you've made a reservation here when they were still Shilo Inn, they won't honor the price. Horrible customer service! No one called or emailed us to let us know the changes & that the hotel is under construction. Obviously, didn't want us to cancel & wanted us to be there stranded & have to pay new price which was $50 more than our booking price. The pool & sauna are closed along with fitness center. We didn't go to continental breakfast as we assumed it would be junk like everything else around the hotel. The room itself, thankfully, was okay & all redone inside, but they're obviously still in the middle of stuff. Our sink drained super slow & the shower is still old. The shower curtain was dirty where obviously it was still the old one left up during construction & it had dust all over the top. The bed must still be the old ones they're using; hopefully, they'll eventually get those changed. It felt like sleeping on a brick slab. The side door was unlocked when we left to go to our event, which it looked like they're in the process of getting the key card installed. We thought, okay, it's 5 pm I can see that it's unlocked now. You could tell the first floor is still under construction-no carpet paper up where they were doing painting. So we get back from our event at about 12:30 am. We thought, let's try the side door; it's closer to the car & our room than going all the way down to the lobby. It was open...anyone could have entered that door & been roaming the hallways. We couldn't believe it! The kicker was....she told me she couldn't honor my Shilo price, but then when I asked her if I could get Best Western points since that's their new franchise she said no because they actually don't turn to that until September 1. So, they're not honoring Shilo prices or BW prices. There wasn't a manager available, of course, making some young girl have to deal with all the upset customers who has no control to make anything right, really sucks! Once you do become Surestay, you won't have our business! Even if it is a nice place, you have horrible customer service!

    « Family Fun »

Our family enjoyed the indoor pool, steam room and sauna. The room was adequate for our big family, the kitchenette made it easy to not eat out all 5 days. The location gave us quick access to everything.

« Trying to make it better but still over priced. »

Stayed here before going to a concert at the gorge. Price was high they are trying to remodel but have a long way to go. Toilet was plugged when we got there complained to front desk was offered a plunger not a repair. Didn't have time to change rooms do to having to get to the concert. Not worth the money.

    « Okay »

Little overpriced for the accommodations, but they are remodeling. Probably would not stay again. This might be worth the price after they are finished remodeling. Overall the staff was friendly enough and the cleanliness was average.
