    « Horrible reception stuff »

I spend more than 20 minutes waiting check-in. Finally they have not found my reservation then offer to make a new one but +50% expensive 'because I did the reservation on site and it's require a specialist to find it' - ridiculous. The senior manager told me that there is no reasons for apologises. If you looking for special USSR service level you can easily find it in this hotel.

« Good hotel but poor air conditioning »

The hotel is comfortable and its staff pleasant enough and friendly, but went from -10 degrees to 20 in the room despite having the air conditioning on. We had to keep the windows open for the duration of our stay. Also every time I climbed the elevator the static of the carpet produced a discharge in my hands. I even leaned against an elevator wall and received an electric shock on my back.

« Good hotel with quick access possibility to city center because of Partizanskaya metro station. »

Is a quite big hotel, though they treat you gently. Sometimes checking in can take a long time, but that is the only negative point I can tell. The rest works efficient. Rooms are clean and WiFi is efficient. It is always nice to come back here, so far, I only did it businesswise, though Inshould do it for turism purposes as well. This because of Partizanskaya metro in the immediate neighborhood, with quick access to :oscow city center or surrounding places.

    « Excellent »

Was a fantastic location staff were excellent facilities excellent we used the gym we eat in the restaurant and the buffet restaurant fantastic choose for breakfast lunch and evening could not fault the food and excellent value the hotel was very clean room was nice good view was on the 11th floor only fault with the room the bed was two singles pushed together and I didn't like the joint but not a big deal was great location for the metro and good choose of resultant locally too stayed a week but have to return to Moscow soon so I will be going back as I can not find a better price for this quality any where else

« Good budget stay in Moscow »

If you want a reasonably priced hotel in Moscow then the BW Vega is a good choice for location to Red Square and other city centre tourist attractions. 4 stops on the blue metro line only 5 mins walk from the hotel. If you don't speak or write Russian then ask the hotel concierge to write you a note asking for a 1 day ticket (R250) which gives you unlimited use of the Metro. Only downside of this hotel is that it is on the opposite side of town to Sheremetyevo airport so can take a long time get there by taxi (1-2 hours depending on traffic)

    « Recommended »

Nice hotel near Souvenir Market and Metro station Partizanskaya, only 20 minutes to the Red Square and the Kremlin! I recommend to buy souvenirs there as everything is much more cheaper than in the city.

« Very nice hotel and service »

Very nice hotel room, good service and I have very good view over Moscow from my hotel room, food was good, you have KFC, Mcdonalds and Subway restaurants few meters from the hotel and nice Mall to, I love the place...

« Busy hotel near Metro »

This is a large busy hotel, that has a lot of coach parties. The room was clean and had fridge and kettle. Like another reviewer commented there was a distinct cabbage smell in the bathroom. However as our subsequent hotel had same maybe it is a common thing. There are a few restaurants and small food shops nearby but you need to use the metro to find night life.

    « Safe and gentle »

near metro station ,interesting market and mini buses to go anywhere, all food outlets. Especially halal food from Azerbaijan cafeteria. breakfast is amazing ,because all type of foods for different nationalities

« Overcrowded machine were you'll feel very small and not important with your needs »

I lived here and was running seminar for a week for a small group of people and was very dissapointed with overall experience. I run lot of events in different hotels in Moscow and that was by far the worst experience. Congress Centre staff was trying to serve our needs, but were failing in every second step . This hotel is just TOO BIG for the staff capabilities they have, so if you choose them for your event prepare to micro manage every single detail and triple check everything they promise you as they promise and don't deliver or deliver smth different than they promise. To sum it up - it is huge overcrowded machine were you'll feel very small and not important with your needs. If you still decide to choose them, because of their attractive price - good luck you'll definitely need it :-).

    « poor check-in »

I arrived at 1 am, after a long flight trip. But they said that I have to wait for some meeting ongoing!!! the first day, the room was not clean, and again I had to come down and ask... the breakfast is ok, but the reception is quite poor, both for the employee as well as for the duty manager.

    « Visit Moscow 8 dayss »

Very nice hotel. Nice room and breakfast. Nice location around River and Kremlin Ismilovo. The minor drawbacks: 1) No free swimming pool/sunna 2)Long curridors to reach to room from elecators. I'll recommend Best Western!

« Great breakfast, comfortable beds, 5 min to metro »

This is a big hotel (25 stores or so.) Clean, simpe, comfortable rooms. Very close to metro Partizanskaya, so it takes only about 25-30 minutes to get to the center of Moscow. Breakfast is a buffet style, self-served, with a great variety of food. The hotel offers a bus tour to see night Moscow. Also, they have a luggage storage: free of charge for initial 6 hours and about $2-3 for 24 hours. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for quality budget accommodations.

« Enjoyed our stay here »

This hotel is very large and accommodates many bus tours, particularly Chinese. there was enough space for everybody and I found the wide variety of nationalities added to the interest of our visit. My husband likes running, and there were ample and interesting places for him to do this nearby. We had a large room on an upper floor and it was very quiet and well serviced. There was more storage space for two people than I have ever seen in a hotel - plenty of space to hang and store things. There were bathrobes, slippers and (free) shoe-shine service. The bathroom was huge, well-lit and designed. The only drawback to the room itself was an offensive smell that came in via the bathroom two or three times in the week we were there. It smelled like either a 'drain' problem, or seriously overcooked cabbage. It came and went in a few hours, so was not too bad. The huge buffet breakfast had little to interest me (but I'm fussy). I found the freshly cooked eggs/omelets were habitually 'undercooked' and unpleasant for my taste (I believe this is typically Russian, though). Instead of the buffet, I went to the Lobby Bar for a coffee and a particularly delicious cinnamon, or raisin roll. They really were good. Alternatively, the Restaurant on the 1st floor serves breakfast - and I can recommend the Porridge with Berries. Next time in Moscow I might try staying near the Kremlin, or Tretyakov Gallery, and I would also be happy to return to the Best Western Plus. The Metro is handy.

« great landscape around hotel, excellent breakfast, average service »

I had experienced a four days stay in Vega. I like the landscape and enclosure around the Hotel. It is a good place for walking. The hotel is located close to metro station and you can reach Red Square easily by 5 stations. The variety of breakfast was amazing. all tastes has been considered. The room was ok. We had reserved a triple room but when we arrived there, it was only two bed in the room. Even when we asked to complete room items (like towel, bedroom slippers, etc.), they did not pay attention and did not provide them. The other problem was that when I asked for room service, Although I have removed bed sheets, they did not changed them.

    « Great hotel! »

The hotel is really nice. The breakfast was excellent. Although the hotel is quite far from the city centre, it is just few minutes away from a metro station. In addition, around the hotel there are good shops and few nice places to eat.

    « Good price&quality »

Fair price, locotad close to a metro station, 20 minutes in metro to the city center. It has a gym, good enough equiped. Rooms are big and look nice. The staff is polite. Next time i plan to stay there again.

    « Great Functional Hotel »

I have stayed here many, many times over the last few years and must say it is very consistent with customer service being top priority. As well as the complimentary water bottles that have been mentioned , there is a water cooler/dispenser on each floor to top them up at any time. Security is very good. English is not the first language, and is a struggle for some (still way better than my Russian though - so let's be fair) but with patience, your queries and needs will be addressed. Each client is made to feel special - check in process diodes take time, but this is not a hotel issue - it is the same process in any hotel in Russia - again, patience will be rewarded with a smile. Very clean, food is good and varied with many choices. Breakfast is brilliantly executed for such a large busy hotel, cleanliness and sped of table clearances is mind boggling. If you join the frequent guest or Best western rewards program and receive an upgrade well "WOW" - it happened to me during my last say and the room/suite was just amazing. Typical I had a very early flight it and not much time to enjoy - maybe next time :-) Taxi is the easiest route from airport if you do not speak Russian - ask in advance for pricing as this will vary dramatically - cash is king for the cabbies. Re booked for three nights next week - looking forward to seeing "old friends" again in the restaurant.

« The four stars are illusionary »

First they try overcharge you on the parking..... Try 850rubles per day if you have a slightly bigger car. Even if your vehicle fits in a standard 5.5m park.... NO DISCLOSURE OF PAID PARKING AT BOOKING TIME. On the website it merely says "private parking" - now we've driven Russia across the entire continent east to west, and paid parking here was a first. Next you need to check in.... The area resembles a fish market in China. Instead of giving all the bussed in tourists a welcome drink - sit them down - they have them standing around like a fish market all shouting at each other. After this, you will find the check in clerk forgets to give you a Internet voucher... Then when you get to the room you'll discover your tv doesn't work and the mattress is so bad the springs are prodding your ribs all night... Just to remind you this is four star?????? On a positive, most staff are kind, the rooms are immaculate and clean.... Overall the hotel is in good condition. It's also a good location with lots of cafes, tourist restaurants (read overpriced poor meals) - it's really close to the metro - easy to get to the city.

    « a great hotel to stay »

its long drive from the airport, but upon arriving you can start relacing.almost everything that a clients need is available there..the room and bathroom sre clean..not to mention the buffet the foodd are delicious but alas im not a good eater ????. the staff are kind though they dont speak well English or italian. .i will go back the same hotel if ever..

    « Very good »

Our rooms were in 11 floor. Good and clean rooms. It's really well and comfortable with respectfull staffs. There is no mini bar but 2 free bottle of water are included and you can make tea with them. The hotel is near the metro station and it's a big advantage. We were 9 adults and two kids, one room had extra bed in our voucher but unfortunately it wasn't registered in hotel documents and reception staff didn't do anything for us. By the way it's a really economic and clean hotel. You have to know that the hotel is very big and sometimes it will be very crowded. There is a lots of Iranian guest, maybe it's better to add a clock for Tehran time. Check out process has done simply

    « Very good overall »

Very near the metro station, easy access to the center. Not much to do around the areas at night. Clean rooms and accommodating personnel. Nice view and I liked the fact that in the room there were two bottles of water everyday. Very good price for the specific period.

« Recent stay and was pleasantly surprised »

We stayed here several nights. The room was nice and now they have a "proper water kettle" in the room so you can heat water. They also had instant coffee and tea available. Very nice. We like this hotel and will stay there again. They had a good buffet breakfast that is very nice with omelets cooked before you as well as the Russian version of crepes, which is super nice.

    « Ticks all boxes »

High standards throughout. Comfort, luxury - all modern conveniences, pleasant service, amazing breakfast choice, first class internet response, security and great location - we have returned to stay and plan to do so again.

    « Great hotel. »

Stayed here for 2 nice and was very satisfied. Close to the metro, great market near for shopping and restaurants near also. Great security. The rooms were nice with comfortable beds and it's was nice to have a robe and slippers to use after a long day of sightseeing.

« Very good Hotel, nice service ! »

Hotel is around 12 Km from City Center but Subway is near to the hotel (200-300 m) and area is fully served by restaurants, fast-foods, local market (where you can you buy really everything) and shopping malls. There are some other hotel at the same compound where you can live Moscow Night Life too. Hotel is amazing, and staff will take care of you anytime if needed.

    « 5 Stars ? Top Shelf ? Simply Outstanding! »

Best Western Plus, Vega Hotel 71, Bldg. 3V Izmailovskoe Avenue, Moscow, 105613, Russia Sir / Madam, I came here to stay a week before my scheduled stem cell transplant from Dr. Fedorenko, at Maximov Hospital in Moscow. I will say that the traveling to a foreign country in order to get a serious medical treatment was stressful in and of itself. Any amount of stress can increase my symptoms and the degree of debilitation from the disease itself. I must say that from the moment of my arrival, to the last day before I was admitted to the hospital, I was under little or no stress. I must give the reason that I was so at ease, was the direct result of your professional staff at this hotel. These persons made me feel amazingly special and comfortable in my environment. They made me feel ?at home? during my entire experience at your hotel. Considering that stress can increase my degree of debilitation from this disease, the stress was eliminated almost immediately, after I entered your hotel and began experiencing the treatment and hospitality of your professional staff. What an awesome staff you have placed into this hotel. I have traveled to many parts of the world and dealt with many issues as many people have, however, when people go out of their way and beyond their responsibility, you know it, and that's just what these people did for me. I wish to point out for special recognition: Olga Belova Samara Kydrova Angie Makhmutova Ivan Zdorikov Viktor Petzici and Manager Vadim Nikolay Smekalov At the end of a long day and dealing with the common issues of traveling into a country with language barriers to overcome, these people made whatever issues I encountered, to just go away. Therefore, I must give your hotel a review worth 5 Stars ? Top Shelf ? Simply Outstanding! Sincerely, David M. Arnold Room 2405, July 27 through August 1, 2016

« Very Good Hotel in Moscow. »

I tried this hotel for the third time , every time i find it better than the previous ones. 1- Safe 2- Helpful Staff 3- Many facilities except only the rooms you can find the carpets & toilets are not totally clean

    « NICE HOTEL »

we where a group which spend 3 nights at this hotel....very well equiped rooms...even bathrobe was big enough for my big belly...!!!very good food....not comfortable stairs to the dining room....about 2 floors of stairs.....recomend opening the breakfast at 6 o'clock not 7...

« Huge hotel with good facilities »

I have started in a few Best Western Hotel and as the name suggests, it is one of the Best in Moscow. The rooms were comfortable with a good outside view and opposite Kremlin in Izmailovo. The room service was awesome and the only issue in this hotel is the food for vegetarians. The breakfast buffet was huge but no vegetarian options. The in house doctor was great help to my friend. The club and market nearby are of great value and the Partizanskaya metro station is of great value for connectivity in Moscow.

« Comfortable and safe hotel with amazing breakfast and super good gym facilities »

We stayed in this hotel in June 2016 and absolutely love it! On our early arrival we went to use luggage room which is free for the first 6 hours. Check-in process was flawless, no queues, we got the instructions how to enter the hotel as there are quite many security but it doesn't disturb; on the opposite, I felt safe. We asked for room on a higher floor and were not disappointed! Slippers, bottles of water, tea making facilities, WiFi in the room, everything was good! The room was clean, everything worked well, in other words, nothing to complain about. On the second night we asked for extra blanket and the service lady delivered it within 20 min without any problem. Breakfast is just perfect! I have never seen this much variety of dishes served for the breakfast. The food is of good quality and very tasty. Surprisingly enough, the dining hall was not crowded even though the hotel is huge and we expected something like that. They serve a lot of hot dishes (all kind of eggs cooked on your request, pancakes, fish, meat), a big table full of fruits, cakes, and everything you may wish for. The gym is state of art and you can do a perfect workout there. As the weather was good, we went jogging to the Izmailovskyi park which is nearby. The location of the hotel is not bad at all, it took us exactly 30 min by metro to get to the Kremlin walls from hotel door. The only downside moment we had experienced was a weird situation on the second day when the cleaning lady took our Entrance card (which we forgot plugged in because the weather was hot +30 and we wanted the air conditioning continuously cooling our room). She could have left the card on the table. When we went to the reception, they denied that it is ever possible but provided us with the new card without any further discussion.

« Just a quick stop over for a few hours, all it's good for. »

This property was poor at best. The area does not feel safe. Check in is a hassle and have to wait too much time to get your keys after going through an extensive interview as if you are being graded and if you fail you feel like you are not welcomed. Security at the elevators treat you like a criminal as if you are trying to trespass into private property, not a good feeling. You do not feel welcome here at all. It is only good for a quick one night stay and moving on to another city or hotel. The prices are expensive for the product. This hotel is far from Western standards, it feels like a 1+ star property elsewhere. Rooms need to be renovated, they smell musty and smoky even if there are non smoking rooms. The buffets are like a quick production line where you just need something to eat and move on. Not appealing at all. It was not a great stay at all and they didn't have to work hard at being bad. Unless they renovate their product overall I would not recommend this property to anyone.

    « Review »

My wife and I visited Moscow in May and stayed at the Best Western Vega hotel in Moscow. We picked this hotel because of price and location as well as positive reviews .The hotel is 200 m from the subway system. There are a number of restaurants in the immediate area as well as a shopping centre and grocery stores . There is a complex called the mini kremlin adjacent to the hotel. At ground level in the back , is some excellent souvenir shopping with very good prices. The hotel is about 15 floors in a complex of three or four hotels that was built for the Olympics. The hotel is very clean and there is extensive security in the building.

« Very Comfortable, Personal, Safe and in a Fascinating Location »

It was a very pleasant surprise to discover the hotel was so close to Izmailovsky Park and all the delights this area had to offer. The Hotel is very close to the Metro which gives swift access to the centre of Moscow and beyond. Safe, spacious and very comfortable the Hotel and the room catered for all needs; hairdryer, bathrobe , kettle , tea, fridge , TV , Air Con- the list goes on. The Reception Staff deserve special mention- they spoke English and were very helpful, patient and forthcoming for which I was most grateful. As a solo traveller I felt extremely safe in the Hotel with its tight security and in the neighbourhood with its many attractions including the false Kremlin housing a Vodka Museum and other shops and the Market close by. It was a delight to return to the hotel and the area after strenuous sightseeing forays in Moscow and then to unwind , reflect in the Park and the hotel I look forward to returning to this hotel- it may appear large but it retained the personal touch.

    « Great breakfast »

The hotel is located a bit far from the downtown of Moscow. It takes more or less 30 minutes by subway to the Red Square. The room is small but very clean. Breakfast is excellent. Too many choices. They have two different restaurants which separate big Chinese groups from business people. It is a great ideal to avoid chaotic

« Nice, good value, but not 4 star quality »

Overall it was a decent place. Clean, seems to be well managed, 4 star caliber amenities (great health facility, nice lobby deli, good restaurants, etc). However, the rooms were more like 3 star quality by US standards overall. Very small (225 sqft), simple furniture, tiny TV screen (25"?), OK, but very basic. It's true that they included bathrobs, mini-fridge, etc, but you clearly are not staying at a Marriott or comparable. The area was what I would call 'iffy' as well, generally safe I think but I stayed aware of my surroundings. Close to Metro, which is convenient. Price was great, at around $65/night it was a good value. I just want to dispell the 4 star myth though, in my opinion it had 4 star amenities but more like 3 or 3.5 star quality. That said, I would consider staying there again at that price. One significant complaint: It was warm when I was there, 85-90 degrees, and the A/C in my room couldn't come close to keeping up. I spent much of the first night int he lobby just to be cool, w/ jet lag couldnt' sleep much anyway. After they checked ithe A/C twice I just had them open the window and they provided me a fan, which made it bearable. Might be typical in Moscow though, not a warm weather city so maybe other hotels have the same problem.

« Organized tour with family and friends »

We stayed at the hotel end of june as part of our white nights organized tour The rooms are spaceous compared to other european hotels we v visited, they are well equiped and clean. The breakfast is rich and the service is fast, their coffee was exquisite, I would recommend not taking half board as dinner is basic. The hotel is situated in a secluded area which is far from the center, around 70-80 minutes by bus in the morning. Metro is all in russian with no translation Kerp in mind that during our visit major work was being done on most main streets at the centre of town The area around the hotel feels unsafe at night and the lobby isn t very pleasant

« The Hotel is not bad, but if you have difficulties in using stairs, stay at another Hotel. »

We were surprised: the restaurant/breakfast room is located on the 2nd floor, but none of the elevators has a stop in that floor. Consequently, people had no choice, but using the 30 step stairs up and down. Later, we found, that there is nothing special about this solution, as in most of the public buildings, metro stations, and even the 8 floor monster buildings for dwelling are based solely on stairs. So, if you have difficulties in using stairs, (as I have), stay at another Hotel, or in another City.

« Convinient place to stay! »

I was staying here for three nights and I loved it. I really recommend to stay here. The nearest metro station is called Partizanskaja. The gym is in the hotel and it's open 24h. The breakfast is great and it has everything.

« Vega Izmailovo decent location and well rounded service. »

A lot of people underestimate those old style soviet hotels but my stay there was pleasantly fine. If you like to stay for really great rate, close to subway station and short ride from center with great breakfast buffet included with extra security and so on you may really want to stray here. WIFi was included and was really surprised with the breakfast here and choices. Not sure as other Izmailovo hotel Alfa, Betta, Gamma but Vega was good. Can't go to room without being checked with your luggage and your room key. Restaurant and bar I used was good. Had really good time at the bar talking to bartender and staff there. It so rare when huge hotels have great service. Rooms nothing special and area kind of not fancy but aas I said there is plenty places to go in Moscow and if you late or just lazy you can eat in the hotel. If you need go to airport there is flat taxi rate and they call it for you.

« Clueless and impolite staff, nice breakfast though »

The hotel looks nice and the location is good. But, the staff I encountered was clueless to say the least. I had made reservation of 2 days from and 1 day from at the last moment. I told the staff to merge the 2 bookings but they said it was impossible. I was supposed to checkout at 12 pm and recheckin at 2 pm. We had 2 rooms and we were not given the rooms together citing unavailability which I highly doubt. Even for my second day, they were not able to allocate the same floor. It was clearly written on the website that a child under 13 can stay for free. But, they said this is not possible and against hotel policy. I showed them the booking of agoda and still they were saying, we dont have the right to allow that. Finally for 1 day I paid in cash and collected receipt. But, they told that i didnt show up. I have given the receipts to Lets see what happens. So, to sum up a very bad experience but I have still given 2 rating because of the location and breakfast. Apart from that, a poor experience.

    « Very good hotel. »

Very convenient to shops and restaurants. Ivan at reception spoke very good English and was very helpful. Very large comfortable rooms. Hot water was excellent and no waiting time. Breakfast was unbelievAble with a good selection of food buffet style. Although tea making facilities were available there was no coffee provided in the room. Anastassia in guest relations was exceptional and helped us with reserving tickets for a Cossack show. This kind of service helps when one does not know the language. I will recommend this hotel to those willing to take on the challenges of commuting in the Metro.

    « Very good condition »

The hotel is auch little outside moscow but there is an underground about 50 meters away - so perfect. The rooms were a good european standard, clean - modern - simply. The staff was proffesional - really unusual for a middle priced hotel, especially in the east))

« Good hotel and very helpful staff »

The check-in was quick and easy, they asked me if I prefer a room with a tub or shower. I took the tub, it also has a shower head. I had Wi-Fi and breakfast included in my room. Subway about 5 minutes walking. When you go in they check for your card before entering the elevators. The bouncer can be a bit intimidating. After you get on your floor you have to swipe your card. In your room you also have to swipe your card. I was in the room for a few hours, and this also happened in hotel in Cosmos by VDNKH, while I was getting ready to go out someone tried to come into my room, as I saw the key move I asked to wait please, and went to check and no one was there. At first I assumed it was room cleaning, but if it was there would have been some cart, but there was nothing. Like the person ran away, and assumed maybe I was gone. I reported that problem to front desk. The room is very clean, staff very helpful and polite. The toothbrush handle is short, I held it with 3 fingers, and there is nice shampoo, but no conditioner. Also, when you turn the TV on, it doesn't turn on, after press number 7, it will turn on. I had fast Wi-fi in my room, and breakfast included. The buffet there for breakfast, is so delicious and a variety to choose from. Around the hotel there is a construction area, after that is complete it will make the hotel look better. There is a restaurant 1 minute walking "Home Made food" they have real home made food, pharmacy and store close by. I also tried the bar/lounge area that is on the first floor, as I waited for my taxi to arrive before going to airport, they were very helpful and nice to me and I sat there for 3 hours. I prefer this hotel over Cosmos, because it was more safe, better staff, but a bit further from subway station.

« Good Hotel with good Metro connection to Red Square »

I recommend this hotel for travelers who are ready to negotiate with the Metro system which is not easy to read on first sight. The Izmailovo Kremlin is 5 min away, walking distance. But it is not a hitstoric site it is a tourist attraction like Disney Land. The Service is very good. Neighborhood is typical Russian with Restaurants in walking distance.. Against rumors there are no prostitutes hanging around. As a single male traveller I was not bothered from any. Metro to Red Square is about 20 min.

    « Moscow Best Western »

This hotel is fantastic!!!! Security is tight, but I'm fine with that if it keeps everyone safe. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The security can be a bit intimidating, but they have to be strict. The subway stop, Partizanskaya is very close and within 20 minutes you can be walking in Red Square. There is the market too within a 10 minute walk. Also, Izmailovo park is close too. You can feel like your in a Russian forest in 20 minutes with several miles of trails in the park. There is also an old church within the park that was built in the 1600's. I highly recommend this hotel.

« Waste of your time and money »

My Russian trip started in Moscow. This hotel was chosen because on the internet it said that it was very close to the subway station and that it takes around 15 minutes to get to the heart of the city from there. Well this was true, however the hotel itself was absolutely disappointing. First, it was nowhere near the pormised 4 stars - the area around the hotel was filthy, walking from subway station we saw two big rats crossing the street, that scared my girlfriend and ruined the evening. Even worse experience we had entering the hotel tryin to get to our room. A big bouncer blocked our way to the elevator asking us something in Russian. He wasn't friendly at all and scared us again. We understood later that he demanded for us to show him the room key. Which we did and he didn't even apologize for being rude. We complained to the reception and they didn't apologize for their staff either. This isn't the way that would attract many customers as I am going to tell everyone I know who ever comes to Moscow not to stay at this place. I know, Russia might not be very secure but enforcing security you at least could be respectful to your guests, not the other way around. It's the guests that you want to feel secure not scared. Unacceptable. The room was very poor for 4 star hotel and the worst part was that it smelled cigarettes. I hate the smell of tobacco indoors and this was absolutely bad. On top of it, the room was very HOT, windows wouldn't open and the AC wouldn't work. At the reception they said the floor had an AC malfuntion like it was something that is ok and acceptable. Well, it is NOT. I was offered another room but the other room wasn't better and it was HOT, too. 4 star you say? Not even one. The lobby had half a dozen prostitutes sitting there, which wasn't pleasant as well. The bottom line. If you want to stay at thw 4 star hotel in Moscow, avoid this place. It is even worse than a roadside motel in the middle of nowhere. Save your money and time, go some place else. Rooms: Smell tobacco Cleanliness: 2 out of 5, dirty&dusty Service: Horrible. You don't feel that you're welcome there Price: For this price you could find a hotel somewhere in the city center that would be cleaner and better

« The Best in Izmailovo Hotel complex »

I have been there 3 times each one for around one week, the hotel is renovated many times, the hotel contains many restaurants that you can choose from with different cuisines Italian western and middle Asian, the reception desk stuff are friendly and eager to help and amazingly they can speak English, the rooms are very clean and tide, not spacious but Okay, I have tried the standard room and the Superior room where there are not much different except the interior design of the bathroom, i recommend this Hotel for who wants a budget and neat accommodation in Moscow, also it is so close to metro and tram "????????????" station.

« Great location, nice rooms, very good service! »

It's located very conveniently near one of Moscow's metro station. It's also not far from the airport, which makes it very convenient. The area around includes many restaurants, bars, and the Ismail Kremlin, which is attraction on its own. Rooms were spacy. clean and nice. We spent there three days. Wi-fi was overall good, although it can be improved. The sercive was very good. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was also good and included variety of food. They had special Easter eggs and cakes for us, which was very nice.

Great hotel for the price, great services located close to hotel. Only complaint room with single bad that had 2 twin mattresses together. Very uncomfortable. Restaurants in hotel very good at reasonable prices. Buffet was excellent.

    « Will not return. »

Hotel in general is fine, what I did not liked is: the curtains in the room are too small, and all night is light in the room, for me it means that I can not sleep. They should definitely change that. Other point, they have not installed power sockets near the bad, means you need to fine one under the table and connect your PC and phone there. Breakfast is not tasty at all, looks good, but very bad taste. Internet is very slow, impossible to work. All the rest is fine, but I will not return here.

« Great choice close to a metro »

Positives: The staff was great. The hotel is not the newest one but it is renovated, nice and clean. Breakfast was good a there is variety of things to choose from. Is is very close to a metro station Partizanskaya (3-5 min) so it was absolutely perfect for visiting a city. There is a shopping mall nearby, 24h pharmacy just around a corner, also Burger King, KFC etc. Negatives: Everything was great. A room could be a little bit bigger I guess and TV as well but these are just minor things.

« Good place to stay in Moscow »

This hotel was suggested by a tour operator, and it turned out to be a good place to stay. What a wonderful people they are, so helpful, so live and friendly. Breakfast spread was excellent, Rooms are small but one cannot ask for more in a city like Moscow. My only regret was, the hotel is far from Kremlin, but it is well connected via Metro. Being my first visit to Moscow and language being an issue, I had to depend on Taxi.

    « good hotel »

had loads of joyfull and happy momments while at the hotel, met and made friends with some really intresting people keep up the good work , hope to visit you soon again , happiest day is when i got an unexpected xmas gift from the hotel's managment , it was really very nice of them.

« Great hotel for this price... »

Hotel is located in the olimpic village complex just 200m from metro station Partizanskaja. Very big hotel, oldish architecture also furniture. Very clean hotel and rooms, like everywhere in Moscow. You have 2 bottles of water, few teabags, sugar and teapot in the room. The water pressure in the bathroom is too high that you can even have waterjet massage (great). Security in the hotel is on the high level from the entrance to your room, you can't even enter other floor with your room card. It looks very professional. The food was repetitive and a little bit poor for people who dont eat meat. Only thing beside the food that I didn't like it is heating. They turn on cooling in April and the temperatures outside were 8-12C. In the room was around 20-21C. When I ask receptionist she answered me on poor english that the heating doesn't work. Gym is also nice.

    « Very good! »

The hotel is very good and clean. It's situated on a beautiful place, 2 minutes from Izmailovo Kremlin and 5 minutes walking from the metro. The staff is very nice and help full. Breakfast is very tastful with much choice. The security give's a save feeling. The price and the overall quality of the hotel is very good. Next time when I go to Moscow I go back to this hotel for sure.

    « Excelent business hotel »

Best Western Vega isgood hotel for all those who travel to Moscow for business. It is near metro and taxi station and a shopping mall. Service and food are very good. And they have security scanners at the entrance which seems to be very important these days :(

« Good value for the money »

We stayed (couple) there for four nights and it was quite OK. It's near a tube station that will take you to the center in short time. There is not much to do nearby and yes there is construction work, but the noise was OK (starts early in the morning, but not too loud!). The rooms are neat and clean, well equipped - the bed is good, so are the sheets. Overall the only weak point is the breakfast, although quite complete the quality of the product is so-so. It's good place if you want to enjoy Moscou and are on a budget!

    « Excellent! »

This hotel is such good value for money. Very plush, clean with excellent customer service. For what we paid we were sure we must be in the wrong place. The reception is huge, with plenty of staff efficiently checking us in very quickly even though there were dozens of coachloads waiting, the hotel staff processed everyone (as far as I could see) very quickly. The room we had was very clean, spacious and was well maintained and cleaned by the daily maid service. Good bathroom facilities and a couple of English speaking TV channels which we noticed other channels catered for many other languages. The hotel has a security system which after reading other reviews we found a bit daunting, as though the hotel may be in a bad area but the area is actually really nice, with friendly small cafes and a small supermarket nearby. The security system is simply showing your card to a doorman, who was very polite, and swipe it through a door when you get to your floor. The metro is just a few minutes away and simple to use. Takes you to the centre of Moscow in around 15 minutes. Highly recommended.

    « Great hotel »

The hotel is great and very close to metro. As Diamond Best Western member, my room was upgraded and the service was great! Also, the breakfast was very tasty and I reccomend the hotel to everyone arriving to Moscow. One of the best Best Western hotels in Russia.

« Best Western on a decent fair level »

Although it is a huge hotel, the level of service is increasing every time I come there. Fast and easy check in with lady that really made an effort to choose the right available room for me. Although room is hot and bed needs new matrasses, nice water and thee in the room. Sanitary fine and clean. Friendly staff, especially security.

« wonderful hotel ever i stayed in before »

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights . booked before 2 weeks and price was so good . Would like to mention so frandly hotel stuff and the place is jusr perfect - clean room , no strange smells, so nice breakfast - best one . Location is perfect also- get to metro and find yourself os citycenter is easy and fast. Close to hotel is so beautiful Izmailovskiy Kremlin ..i enjoed a lot walking around there.

« Wonderful hotel and very good staff »

Very good hotel, nice staff, english is very well, very good restaurant! Good service and wonderful food. The rooms are not to big but clean and very comfortable. The bar is nice and the service is good.

« An Australian in Moscow! »

Being alone and in Moscow while my husband had medical treatment at a hospital nearby, I felt pleasantly safe at this hotel. There were staff that could assist who spoke English. It was close to the subway and trams for easy access to everywhere I needed to go.

« A Good Base if Taking the Metro »

The BW Vega is part of Moscow's Olympic Village, a complex of high-rise hotels and restaurants built on the periphery of the city for the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. The Vega is by far the best managed of those hotels in Olympic Village, and does give you the Zeitgeist of late 1970s in which it was built. The managers of the hotel aim to please, which is quite notable for large hotels in this region. The breakfast buffet is abundant and varied (although I would not recommend the omelets). It is a 15-20 minute metro ride to the Kremlin. Since the Moscow metro is remarkably efficient, clean, and rather atmospheric, I found this to be a fine and workable solution. I chose it for the positive traveler reviews on line, and for the value to price ratio.

    « I've been everywhere... »

this is a very nice hotel to stay very clean and you got little super markets around is very convenient. is about 200 yards from the biggest Fleamarket in Moscow you can find everything here. the vega hotel rooms facing the city are the best. thank you for the effort you put every day.

« Fits the purpose but nothing special »

I stayed in Best Western Vega while I was on a medical trip in Moscow and it was relatively close to where I needed to be everyday. The hotel is very close to both tram and metro stations and there are also fast food restaurants and supermarkets near by which was really helpful on my trip. We stayed in the deluxe room and it was clean and well equipped. The hotel staff were also helpful and attended to most of our needs. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you need to be in this area (40 mins from the centre) or if you are looking for something decent at a relatively cheaper price. I remember that the hotel was also not too far away from the airport.

    « Well done »

I choose this hotel based on cheap price and also because of known brand) I did need a hotel close to city center, close to metro station and some comfort for reasonable money. In reality my expectations have been fully met. Clean room equiped at 4 stars, mostly save territory around, more than expected approach to guest security, average breakfast - all of these confirms 4 stars service. The only concern I have is some smell of tobacco. I've no idea, where it comes from in non-smoking room, but in general this does not offend me. Izmailovo Kremlin is close walking distance (up to 5 min), which is nice and good to look through the window even at breakfast time =) Finally I'm satisfied with this stay. Thanks for that.

« Good hotel with excellent location »

I have stayed here many times and it is consistently good. The rooms are clean, the front desk staff is helpful, and the price is reasonable. My room was modest but perfectly comfortable. I had everything I needed and it was cleaned everyday. The location is excellent, just minutes walk to metro station on blue line. I have no reservations about staying here again and it is a good area that is safe. My two complaints are first the wi-fi (free) is not very reliable and I was dropped many times when I tried to use it. I think that this problem is being addressed. The second problem is that the non-smoking rule (signs are everywhere) is not enforced. On my most recent trip I stayed five nights and every day I could smell smoke on my floor. My room smelled like stale smoke, it is not pleasant for a non-smoker. My feeling is that if the hotel is non-smoking then it should be non-smoking. They have many security guards so I think someone could walk the halls once or twice a day and evict anyone who is smoking. That will stop the problem. Otherwise, I enjoy staying here and the service is great. I will stay here again next time I visit Moscow.

    « Great Hotel »

I have been staying at the Vega hotel one week a month for the padt four years. I always heck into this hotel when I travel to Moscow, it's convenient to shopping, restaurants and local attractions. The hotel has been under going renovations for the past few years to make the eminities even better and to make the room quality better as well. They have been very successful, as the renovations look good.

« good place to stat »

Clean big rooms (stayed in delux type), good service, good breakfast. all is great in this hotel and would stay here again. here we go with funny story at the very beginning of my stay: but arriving from Brasil, i had to wait for check-in for couple hours, i sat at the reception took a nap, and security waking me up saying it is not polite to sleep here !!! i stood up and walked arround, being too mich tired from long flight came back to reception, my eyes closed, here we go with another security waking me up... i stood asked for manager to explain that never happened to me before !!! she talked to security guy and apologized to me, and gave me right away a room to rest !!!

    « Security is awful »

I was in this hotel with my family in the end of November. Conditions is good enough and rooms equipped with everything you need but security is absolutely awful. In the front door you will meet security gate with couple of guards. This guys do not search you carefully but create a queue. There is no reason to do it ably annoying people. I put low mark only for this and hope the hotel will refuse it in future. Thank you

« Hotel with good accomodation and friendly service. »

The only minus I experienced, was that the heat in the room was rather uncomfortable. But the hotel offers a good and professional service. Advantage aswell is that the hotel is situated near Partizanskaya metro station, so the city center easy to reach. Nice that the hotel installed a fitness center; sportswear not to forget when comng back

« Home away from home »

I stayed at the Vega for two weeks while my friend was in hospital. It was like a home away from home and I loved every minute I was there. The beds were super comfy, the breakfast AMAZING and the staff were always extremely helpful - even though I spoke little Russian. The wifi was an added bonus. The signal was always great and the internet super fast. The hotel is in a great location close to supermarkets, shops, the tube station and the tram. Everything is within walking distance and it's easy to find your way around. I love the Vega and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Moscow.

« Fantastic servivice at the Vega cafe »

Alik, Nazim and Nadia provided excellent service everyday in the Vega cafe ! My months stay at the Vega was made very memorable by these workers who were so friendly and were very diligent ! There service was more than attentive ,I would recomnend friends and family to stay at the Vega for tge fabulous service ! Thankyou !

« Unwelcoming front line staff, but overall an OK hotel »

First impression was that the hotel was crowded, but that was just the lobby - there was no line for the actual check-in. The impression for check-in was very poor - Anna was abrupt and borderline rude... and when I though this was odd, she picked up the phone to answer a call, and oh my God - this kind of converation (the tone, so irritated) could NOT possibly have happened at any decent 4-star property anywhere. Very unprofessional. I was given a room with two single beds which I didn't book - I wanted a queen-size bed. However, I was told that I get what I get, no other options were available. Then there are guards before elevators asking for guests' room numbers, which I find very odd. This probably adds to security, but is just strange! The room itself was on the smaller side but decent (I booked a Deluxe), with a mini fridge working just fine. Very dry air in the room and lots of dust seen with the sun shining through the window. Otherwise no complaints about the room (besides it being two single beds which I had no use for). Beds are OK but no comparison to Marriott of Sheraton. Water is supplied daily (two 500ml bottles). Cleaning appeared to be thorough. Overall, this is no Marriott or Sheraton, but the property is convenient to the Metro and cheaper, so may be worth considering if you are on a budget and are willing to deal with a few customer service flaws.

    « A 3-day accommodation »

I had a 3-day accommodation in the Best Western (Wega) hotel. Actually I had no choice to select this hotel as I travelled through arranged tour. The services if I overlook one hour delay during admission/receiption till room delivery (!) The others services including staffs' behaviour, breakfast, room cleanless were acceptable & good. Regarding the hottel location it is sorrounding by many other hotels like alpha, Beta,... Its a tall building and your sight veiw depends on the wing where your room is on that. From north you will have "keremlin ismayolv" where had an architect similar to "st basil church" ,Vodka museum also locates on that. On south wing you will have a clear veiw toward Ismaiylovsky wide park. Subway station, childeren park (inside Ismaylovsky park), shoping center all are close to the hotel location.

    « Fantastic value »

The room I was given was very clean. The quality of the rooms was excellent and the price was very reasonable. The hotel is very well kept up. The location id convenient closed to the metro station. Staff were extremely friendly. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The value was fantastic. This was my second stay at the hotel and it was great!!

« Okay - Its Still a Western Three Star »

I have stayed at this property off and on for 21 years. At first it was a 1980 Olympic hotel that was in bad shape. They have improved it over the years until finally it became a Best Western Plus, claiming to be a Four Star hotel. But, its a Russian Four star which equals a western three star. Be aware that there is no A/C except in summer and the rooms came be too hot for westerns. It is popular because of the location and cost, which is reasonable for Moscow. It also tends to be crowded for that reason. They do need more people on the desks.

« Good hotel for buisness visits »

I am staying this hotel for years. Been a part of bestwestern network it provides good vaue for the money, good location ( near to underground and main railway stations). The breakfeast little bit crowdy, but reasonable. Good selection of food. The restaurant little bit expensive comparing to restaurants in the city.

    « Value for Money »

Hotel is about 15 minutes ride on the Metro from Red Square in an area with a few other hotels, restaurants & supermarkets. There is a good supermarket next to the metro entrance which sells everything including vodka shots. The hotel is a bit out of the way but we got a good deal for this hotel through a booking site so didn't find that a major problem. It appears a lot of tour groups use the hotel. The rooms are standard for this type of hotel chain and were comfortable & clean. We arrived on a very early flight so had to leave our luggage in the left luggage room, the first 4 hours are free after which you have to pay 150 roubles per hour. As we were booked on a tour we didn't get back until after 6pm and they wouldn't agree to have our bags moved into our room once it was ready as a lot of hotels do. The room information folder needs updating as we went looking for a restaurant in the hotel that was shown in there only to find it had been shut & replaced with another one. Overall good value for money if you can get a deal.

    « Great Hotel »

I had recently stayed at this hotel and had a delightful experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling for business or leisure purposes. Besides the nice rooms, i have also enjoyed an excellent customer service that was provided to me during the whole stay there( which i highly value)! The staff of the hotel were very accommodating and helpful. Especially, i would like to point the receptionist Gozel, who was very welcoming and friendly. It was tremendously kind of her to get me a map and show all the places i wanted to visit, which made my 'sightseeing experience' much more enjoyable. I have to admit she is a valuable asset of the hotel, as I have never enjoyed hotel service this much! I will definitely stay here again.

    « A great stay in Moscow »

It was a wonderful stay and we loved everything about the hotel. The hotel is close to the metro and there is a flea market nearby where you can shop for your souvenirs. The room is clean and comfortable. There are lot of shops and restaurants nearby. It is a nice place to walk around. The guest book mentioned that there is tea and coffee centres on certain floors but when I enquired they said they just have the tea facilities available in each room. Unfortunately no coffee available and I am a coffee person. There is drinking water available on each floor and they provide you with complimentary water bottles each day. The breakfast was great with variety of selections. We really enjoyed our stay.

« Good Location, comfortable rooms »

Rooms are comfortable, and front desk is very helpful, talk to Viktor, he is pleasant and knows a lot about how to go about the area, restaurants, subway, how to get downtown, etc. There is a lot of construction going on, but it does not interfere with your stay, mainly if you use the subway system.

    « Worth considering »

This hotel is worth considering for the price despite what you might think about the location. It occupies one of four housing towers built for the 1980 Olympics and has an interior that reminded me of an out-dated cruise ship. But that's ok. You're in russia and don't need glamour. As for the location it's really not that bad if you don't mind walking or taking the train. It's just four stops from the city center and sits next door to a market that now occupies the fake Kremlin built for the games. The reason I mention this is because it's a great destination for wondering around if you fly in from overseas that morning and don't want to venture far. (HELPFUL TIDBIT... Do consider buying souvenirs here. The selection is better than in Saint Petersburg and prices are a bit cheaper.) Unfortunately I can't exactly rave about the neighborhood, which felt sparse so we didn't go exploring. That said there is at least one sport bar nearby along with some small food shops if you want to grab a snack or bottled water. Lastly and most importantly, Since this hotel favors the likes of tour groups and weddings, the buffet breakfast was the best we had throughout our trip! It even included an omelet station. Ps- other helpful hints: 1) do negotiate cab fare. The offered price is much higher than what they will take. 2) the nearby "Russian restaurant" serves delicious entrees but extremely slowly.

    « Very good »

I stayed to this hotel from 16 September to 20 and really I liked , The rooms so clean and beautiful...I had a twin so the breakfast was clean and good...I can offer to you to this hotel and Reception workers thanks for everythings...Especially Rethanks for your interest and for service friendliness miss Alexandra...

« Back Again, Very Busy Hotel ! »

The staff I have found are excellent, friendly and professional and given my Russian is very limited all were good at English from the front desk to the cafe. The rooms have a very used feeling as this is a very busy hotel with large bus groups but the rooms are comfortable just slightly dated. They have kettle, tea and free water and the bathroom good although I did have a bit of a battle getting the shower head to stay facing me, but eventually I won. The free internet was good but in the evening not such a great speed when the hotel was busy. I did the breakfast the first morning but after that it was too busy with the large groups and In fact I was almost trampled on the opening of breakfast by an enormous group so decided to have coffee and croissant at the cafe for the rest of my stay. If you don't large busy hotels I would say this hotel is not for you but it's close to the metro and not that far from the centre of Moscow. I was working close to the hotel so it was fine for my needs. Hotel laundry was good but not the best bargain but there is a good Italian restaurant next to the hotel for evening meal

Getting to the hotel ...

All directions
·From: The east. By metro from city center - station Ploshad Revolutsii (on the intersection with the green line Teatralnaya - dark blue line) it will take 15 minutes to the Best Western Plus Vega Hotel & Convention Center. Station is called Partizanskaya.
