Worst front desk service ever. Too busy playing on her cell phone to answer my call. Had to leave my room and go down to the front desk for help. Hotel is unkempt and poorly maintained. Plenty of other hotels in the area that are much nicer and the same price.
Everything was AWESOME!!! Mr. Dan Patel was absolutely amazing. He made our stay so satisfying and comfortable. He constantly checked to see if there was anything else he could for us. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was amazing. They had a full course breakfast with some of the best coffee!! Don't walk RUN and book this hotel!!!
The hotel is filthy and smells really musty. Not clean enough. The toilet is too low to the floor and the seat was too small for the toilet and stained on the back with poo. The towels were all muddy looking couldn't use to wash your face or anything. We slept in out clothes and didn't even shower before we left. It was the only place to"sleep" because everyone was coming up from the South for the hurricane. Would not recommend at all. Some people complain just to be complaining but I am just trying to honestly let people know how bad it really is.
Avoid this hotel. I booked a stay at $89.30 per night but was unexpectedly charged $164 per night without any notice. Although I informed the receptionist, no corrections were made, and I had to leave early for a flight, calling corporate for help. The room was dirty with a strong cigarette odor.
Overall OK, but the toilet seat was so loose, it swung in about a 75-degree ark. The plastic hold-down nuts were loose and worn. Inasmuch as this was a condition that developed over time, I think the cleaning staff should've long since noticed it and reported it to management or maintenance. It made me wonder about the other cleanliness requirements. I semi-fixed it eventually, but sure should not have had to put my hands under a hotel toilet seat to do it, and very surprised it was at a Best Western!
Good value, includes breakfast. Facilities included a swimming pool & fitness area, unfortunately did not stay long enough to use them but at least they were available. The staff was pleasant and greeted you quickly. Explained what you needed to know without having to ask. Mr Patel the owner/manager was extremely nice and wanted to make sure they provided what the customer expected.
*****WARNING****DO NOT STAY HEREThe stay that ruined my birthday: I was met with mildew in the bathroom, bedbugs in the bed and a rude woman In the lobby, she seem to be an owner, a mature, Indian woman. I have yet to receive a full refund they even tried to take more money from my card before sending a partial refund. This was the worst birthday ever this place needs to be shut down.
Room 210 had mold in the bathroom. The room smelled of mold and you could feel moisture in the room. It gave the blankets a wet sticky feel. I told the member at the front desk. She had no other rooms available. Because we were bringing our son down for college and it was late I had to deal with it. I sat up the entire night in the chair because I could not lay on the covers.
The room smelled, carpet was dirty and wet, we had to request for more towels b/c the towels we had looked dirty, we also had to go purchase our own pillowcases b/c those were dirty as well. Weren't very many options for breakfast and it was cold and reused from the day before it just didn't look fresh. Very noisy and just did not meet up to the Best Western standards. I was very disappointed.
BW overcharged me by $55.20 and instead of refunding the money back to my Credit Card, they charged this amount again, so BW owes me now $110.40. There was NO ROOM SERVICE at all during my whole stay. Due to the very strong accent in their language, it wasn't easy to understand the receptionists.
Nasty place, nasty food, nasty staff!!! From the moment I arrived my experience was a nightmare! The food was cold, machines didn't work. Ac was falling apart in the room. The bathtub interior was peeling and rotten. The room.smelled horrible and the room was disgusting!
I used to frequent this hotel until 8-1-2024, stopping there weekly.I've had problems with Roaches and management doesn't seem to care,I was offered rewards points for the inconvenience but never received them. My last visit was the last straw for me,a RAT decided to visit me as I was up getting ready for work.Usually when I stayed there I would place a towel in the 2inch gap at the bottom of the door as a deterrent for bugs and whatever else but the RAT was determined to come in. I reached out to management before I decided to post my review but to no avail, imagine what goes on in that kitchen at night. I pray that management turns it around.
They were renovating the hotel at the time, but the desk assistant went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The room was very spacious and nice. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was convenient to the interstate. Breakfast choices were a little limited. They ran out of eggs, but the attendant made us some fresh eggs.
I didn't feel safe here. As others have said the area is run down. There are people fighting over the road at the petrol station and probably drug dealing. The hotel feels dirty and uncared for. We had a good dinner at the nearby Baumhower's though.
The hotel was nice except for the shooting that happened just outside of the hotel. ?!!++&&-75_&--__&-65&&&4565_'-+8&_4____&&-66666-&...!!;-&__''&&-65___-+&_$$¢$_____&55⁵555&;++-5___. Tuffbc ffuesdgddhsudhd sbshsjhhjffvhuyfdrdgytddddxchhhhgHshshzbfhthdbsgZvh
Hotel is located next to a long term housing hotel. Kids and adults were out late making a lot of noise. i felt unsafe as someone cat called to me as I was getting out of my car. At 4:00 in the morning the trash truck next door created a lot of noise and woke me up. Hotel was clean for the most part. You could tell it has had some cosmetic updates recently but was previously an older hotel.
Best Western is usually an upper tier of value hotels. The property was in great shape, friendly staff. Deposit is overpriced but understandable. Terrible location for a nice hotel. Right next to a very crappy, poorly maintained hotel. Gas station across the street is lined with homely people, which I imagine are conducting some kind of business lol. I say that because you can see them walking back amd forth from the budget inn to the gas station at all hours. Makes the Best Western a bit less desirable. Other than that it was a decent stay.
Filthy, rude staff, horrid breakfast. I picked up 3 used wash clothes left from previous occupant off the shower rod. Honestly have never stayed in a place I was so disgusted. Keep looking if you are thinking of staying here. The prices were outrageous!
This is one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. On arrival the toilet has not been cleaned. Let's leave it that there. When I showered in the room, the shower floor had some sort of pocket in it so as I stood there showering it's popping up and down under my feet like I'm gonna fall. The view from the room look like a crack hotel on the other side of the road. pothole driveway that I've never seen at a best western. The air conditioner going off and on sounds like the car backfiring I did not sleep. I was up all night. I go down for breakfast and there's no coffee. There's no napkins. The area is dirty and the attendant drops waffle mix on the floor and doesn't clean it up. The wafgle mix machine isn't working properly and she sitting down chatting with someone. I said something to the front desk manager she put in tissues in replacement of napkin tissue. I asked for a copy of my receipt and she didn't wanna give it to me. She finally did give it to me, but grudgingly. Of course I need a copy of the receipt you ran my credit card. How do I know you didn't put any charges on my card. This really ruined my weekend.
The hotel was very clean and great staff. The area was a little sketchy but felt safe inside the hotel.
This was a hotel just off the highway with basic accommodations. It was a convenient base to visit Montgomery. My room was clean, breakfast was fine and I slept well. The hotel staff and guests were friendly; and there was ample parking. No complaints.
Hotel reeks of marijuana, homeless walking the parking lot at night, obvious drug activity in the parking lot and surrounding areas & my truck window was broken out with several items stolen with no response offered from staff. The responding officer said that this was a normal occurrence & that I was lucky to not lose more than I did
On a recent trip we stayed at four BW hotels, this was our least favorite. This hotel is next door to a low budget hotel, and shares a parking lot with a closed and vacant restaurant. At the rear of the vacant building was an overflowing dumpster surrounded by garbage. We made sure to remove all of our belongings from the car overnight. Upon arrival our greeting was friendly, but not professional. Staff members were very casual and did not present a professional appearance. There was only one working luggage cart. While reasonably clean, the hotel was in need of maintenance. Our only window was fogged over, and the bathtub was in need of refinishing. Breakfast service consisted of similar items to other hotels, but in less quantity and quality. Staff seemed to be short handed or late. Staff could use some training or supervision. We would not choose to stay here again, and cannot recommend this hotel to others.
Tried to check in to the adjacent Holiday Inn, but they had no rooms available. Was tired after driving 8 hours so stopped here. Big mistake. Why they require a $50 refundable deposit is beyond me especially since they have your credit card. Room was dark and in need of updating. Bathtub/shower had stains and looked filthy. Stains on carpet and parts of furniture. No ice machine on my floor. Had to go up a flight. Fortunately I was so tired I fell asleep quickly, arose early and went to check out but no one was on duty behind the desk. Waited until 6 am for someone to show up and then got out of there as soon as possible.
DISGUSTING avoid! We had read reviews and was hesitant in booking but gave benefit of doubt. We actually bought a disinfectant spray to be sure. Well it needed more than disinfectant spray! It did not feel clean going in, the carpets were dirty and we wiped surfaces all being gross. The furniture was badly stained and I wouldn't let a dog sit on! We had no running cold water unless u wanted to drink from the bath tap. We found a pill on one of the bedside tables just under the lamp and our concern was what if a child had found it. There was spilt liquid on the tv and fridge and nothing else was wiped clean. We decided to check pillows, sheets, underlay and mattress too. Everything had stains and there was no way we were sleeping on that! Last thing to top it off was the pubic hairs all in the bath plus cigarette burned shower curtain. We showed the only staff member available, being the receptionist, the room and she offered another room - of course declined! So unfortunately we were forced to look for another hotel at 9pm. Big shame for the Best western name!
I booked my stay and had a great experience. I came here to write a review but read through some of the negative comments first. All I can say is that you should not pass by this hotel because of those comments. The location is perfect and I did not feel unsafe at all. The area is not scketcy. It is right off the interstate with about four other branded hotels right behind it. My room was clean, everything including the A/C and shower worked. In fact this is probably the first time that I did not adjust the temp on the A/C unit. It was comfortable. The showers pressure and stream were normal. The mattress was very comfortable. The cover was worn but clean. At the price I paid I could care less about that. The team members were all extra competent and friendly.. I didn't use the amenities. Breakfast ended at 9 and I chose sleep over food. I grabbed fresh fruit on the way out. And that is a plus for them because some hotels only offer cut fruit. I went to the Waffle House across the street. So my experience was what I want, at the right price, and at the right location.
The place is as fragile as a broken floor, I could hear noise in the next room of someone having 'mad sex,' the room attendant's along with the manager Kimberly looks ran through, when I brought the matter of the noise consistently down the halls to the attention to the Indian guy. He seemed confused of English, and cared less of customer complaints, long as money was involved. I'd recommend staying downtown or in another location, prostitution is filled with common advantage around the area, one guy car was broken into the next morning. Inclusive with a fight in the parking area.
This hotel is at a busy intersection and sits behind a really old hotel. The outside has been updated and the inside has some upgrades and new furniture. The check in was good and we received the room type and location that we wanted. The breakfast was okay. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable.
My first and last time staying at this hotel. I checked in around 10 pm after driving about 6 hours headed home from a business trip. I was told that the hotel required a $50 deposit even thought I was paying by credit card. I have never heard of such!!! If not for the fact that I was tired I would have left right then. Next the TV in my room did not work. After the desk clerk brought me a new remote the TV worked for a minute and then would not allow me to change channels. Next at about 4 am someone's car alarm went off in the parking lot (3 different times). I finally got up to take a shower after not being able to sleep and found that the bathroom only had one large towel and one bar of soap for two people. When I went down to the clerk's desk to check out I heard screaming and cursing from a fight going on at another hotel nearby. What an experience!!!!!
I just needed a room for the night after driving 1k miles. The room was very clean, the bed was cozy. The room was super quiet and dark. Woke up, showered, went and got breakfast. I got the rest I needed.
A lot going on at this hotel. The staff was really nice and engaged in conversations. The room did have a little odor water was not really hot and initially I was given someone else's room. But the problem was immediately fixed. The area is ok, but ladies of the night were busy
The Best Western in Montgomery, Alabama, was my overnight stay for my drive to Florida. The room was clean, there were amenities in the bathroom, there was standard 50-channel TV, and Wi-Fi was available. The property offered breakfast, but not with as many choices as I had hoped for. All in all, it was adequate for an overnight on the way to somewhere else. I chose it because I'm in the Guest Rewards program and it counted towards a free night later on as well as getting special member rate.
A fairly decent facility, not in the best part of Montgomery, but definitely not the worst. I felt safe. Room was clean. Quiet. Minor inconveniences - no bath towels (corrected), sink drained slow, warm shower first night due to max'ed out facility, breakfast adequate - monotonous offerings. I'd consider staying again at the current rate.
I generally have not had a concern with Best Western. I have been a customer here and there. Since I recently joined AARP they have been offering perks that are simply amazing. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with most of the properties that I stayed. Accommodation were awesome and in return I gained loyalty gift cards and points for my stay… which is not to shabby. However the Best Western of Interstate 85 and Carmichael in Montgomery was the worst. The picture on the website totally deceiving… a stench smell that didn't smell like regular smoke, property with an armed security guard. Linen was frayed , coffee packets dated 2022. I did call customer service and they accommodated me with 5k in loyalty. Otherwise I am totally disappointed with this Property. I did speak with the Manager on duty upon my arrival at this property… totally disappointed….
It was an okay stay. If they have another best western, I wouldn't go back to this one. The shower curtain in the room was sour. That was the only real issue I had with the cleaning. The staff was not rude, but not super friendly either. Casino was 17 mins away, which we knew prior to booking. Not really much around the area so you should be willing to drive to the fun.
Pool was not operational. Why not say that on the site. Had a service dog. Had to wait several minutes to get permission from a manager. Staff came to my room next morning and said no dogs. I said she is a service dog for my disabled wife. They walked away. Not sorry or anything. Tub had black mold. Not a happy camper with this hotel. Most Best Westerns are very good. Not this one.
Bedsides the 5 gunshots that woke us up at the hotel next door, the first room had a broken air conditioner. The second room had stained furniture and carpet. The bed was comfortable and clean and shower was good.
Overall decent rooms but we had dirty pillowcases and a leaky showerhead. Best Western Status was not recognized. Breakfast was typical BW but basically gone when we got there at 8:40 (breakfast ended at 9).
I made the attached reservation for two rooms Oct. 15-16 on Monday, Oct 10. The rate was not a prepaid amount. Our plans changed, and I cancelled the reservation on Thursday, Oct. 14, well before the cancellation deadline of Friday, Oct 15. We were charged for the rooms despite abiding the terms and conditions of both the reservation and cancellation. Multiple calls to the hotel have yielded no result. The general manager has not returned our call. One assistant manager called on Sunday, Oct. 30 at around 9 a.m. to say they would issue the refund promptly. As of this writing, no refund has been made.
Was skeptical about staying here because of the bad reviews. We had 3 rooms and was a party of 6 stayed for 3 nights. Only problem we had was my room the refrigerator wasn't working the next morning and I wanted to switch refrigerator or get new room since the maintenance guy would be on duty in 4 hours. Nicole in Housekeeping brought me the key next door and we moved to the new room. Only other thing is up north the breakfast ar is open 6-10 M-f and 6-11 on weekends here its 6-9 and with the hour difference we only made it once and the review on the lady in the breakfast bar is dead on she is so friendly and helpful
This wasn't the Best Western quality we normally experience. The good point was the employees were nice. Our room was just OK for cleanliness. The side chair and carpet are overdue for a deep cleaning. The bed was comfortable, however The bedding/pillows did not smell fresh. The bathroom toilet seat was not the correct size for the base, and the vinyl floor “baseboard” was separating from the wall behind the toilet. We turned off the refrigerator because it made too much noise. Be warned to request a room that isn't on the elevator side as it backs up to another motel that was noisy from night owl individuals outside until 3:00am - did not make us feel at ease. This hotel was overpriced for basic amenities and we feel on our month-long trip staying at several Best Westerns this one was the worst value - should be in the $70 range.
Staff super friendly close to hospital and very quite.......I'd stay here again. We felt very safe using this property and its away from the interstate. Plenty of breakfast foods stocked We'll be back......
This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in there are stains on the carpet and bed sheets and covers. Rust around water faucets remote control was not working properly. Had trouble with ac unit. Front desk personnel were not friendly and never even gave us credit for being rewards members.
Looked a lil sketch right on the edge of the hood. Even so they maintained BW standard nice pool had to avoid a homeless dude to get to it. However it was a good pool and very nice hotel with standard hotel breakfast. I could really see this as a go to place. Customer service was flat out superior you would think they were your life long best friends.
The front desk lady was awesome , breakfast was decent, easy access off interstate. Rooms were clean the beds slept well. Refrigerator and microwave worked well, wifi access was good, was very happy with our stay.
This hotel smelled of marijuana in certain areas. Carpet was dirty. The bed was clean and comfortable. Just didn't like the marijuana smell. The breakfast area is small and not much seating. The breakfast was ok. Not a big variety of food. The area was crowded.
I usually don't write reviews, but I just wanted to share my experience. Pros: Very nice staff who tried to be as helpful as they could. Convenient location, spacious room, easy access to highway. Cons: The first room we were assigned was really dirty and had stains on the sheets and pillowcases and dust everywhere. They were nice and promptly moved us to another room. This room was better, still a little dusty, but okay. Then, the room above us started flooding down into our bathroom in the middle of the night, and we woke up to a flooded bathroom. On the other side of the bathroom, throughout the night, yellow water built up in the shower. Neither one of us had showered or even turned on the water, so I'm not sure were that came from. The maintenance people were nice, but at that point, we were just ready to get out of there. Also, their elevator inspection certificate was expired. For $99/night, I would go somewhere else.
We stayed here as part of a bus tour, so didn't have transport of our own. Whilst the hotel and rooms were nice, the hotel is situated on a sort of parking lot on a main road, so access any where for food is really hard OK if you have transport
This is a basic Interstate hotel / motel. Very nice staff at desk and breakfast, quality breakfast, clean ( old bath rag left in shower ), nice beds and pretty quiet. Would stay again. Hand sanitizer is readily available otherwise Covid practices are very lax. Typical of this area and the South in general.
The location was perfect for us, just off the highway. We were greeted by a sweet young woman who made our use of BW Gift cards easy (it it usually a hassle). Miss Lisa at breakfast was so kind, making sure that everyone was happy. Check out was fast and friendly. Overall a nice stay
Not the best part of town but convenient to 65/85. The hotel charged my cc a $50 incidental fee and not sure how there could be any incidentals at this place. This was not advertised prior to reservation or arrival. I was told by front desk that someone had caused some damage by smoking or something so I guess their response is to make all their customers pay. Would not recommend staying at this location.
Worst stay ever!!! The toilet and tub were completely disgusting, the tub and sink had brown water coming out. I don't know who is cleaning these room but they seriously need to do a better job. This room was GROSS!!
Based on the surroundings, we were not certain what we were going to end up with. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The inside was clean and well kept. The staff were very pleasant. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Aside from the bed being a bit soft on one side, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again.
The entire building smells like cat urine. We were put on the 3rd floor in a dirty room. The window did not even lock. The room smelled absolutely sickening. It took us less than 5 minutes to decide that we couldn't stay in this hell hole. Of course as we predicted, we were not refunded for our room, given our deposit back or anything. My advice, potential Best Western of Montgomery, Alabama customer, is to most definitely find a different place to stay. I would continue to describe this atrocity of an establishment, but I think I've made my point. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! It literally feels like you could contract an STD simply by breathing inside of the building.
I needed a place to stay after attending a concert in downtown Montgomery. The place was nice and suited us adequately. The breakfast was good too. I didn't use the exercise facilities and it was off season for the pool.
Completely satisfied. This was my first trip to Montgomery, but not my last. Location was convenient to my destination. Discovered other attractions I would like to visit. Overall Montgomery had more to offer than I anticipated.
This hotel is obviously very well managed. The entire staff is courteous, professional and friendly. The room and premises are in great condition and clean. The breakfast was great. The room amenities are complete with everything we needed including a refrigerator and microwave. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We had a nice quiet room very near to parking. I know that it's not always possible, but there was a girls softball team starting at the hotel and I'm sure the registration clerk made it a point to give us a room where we would have peace and quiet. Although the athletes were very nice and courteous, they were exuberant. Overall, I give this hotel five stars plus.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Convenient location near the interstate. The manager was very helpful and made sure we were happy. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area. Close to restaurants.
We booked here for our weekend casino trip. It was a good distance from both WindCreek Locations. The rooms were reasonably priced. My only issue was variety with the breakfast and it ending way to early.
Rude Rude Rude!! Don't ask for anything because you will not get it. I had to wash our towels. We asked for fresh and never received them. Went out for the day to come back and find them laying on the floor where we left them. My husband asked before we left and was told they didn't have any because they were washing them. The breakfast here is awful. Went to get coffee and the coffee pot is broken. Was told by the staff member she could hear us up old decaffeinated coffee in the microwave. No coffee in the rooms although they offer. They do not have top sheets under the comforter so you are sleeping without one. Towels are stained, bedding also has stains. This place is poorly managed. Worst visit to Montgomery we have had yet.
I've been staying at best western for months and I always keep on staying at best western thru out 2022 win I travel in the future I will always be looking for a best western I truly wish I could have the hole crew from Montgomery to be at the next best western were ever it will be thanks ladies and guys
I showed up after the Christmas party. That didn't matter . The staff still offered me some food and something to drink. I wasn't much left but I fixed a plate and joined the after party. They were a nice group of people, so when I'm in the area i will definitely come back.
My stay here last week was the worst experience ever. The room smelled bad, there was trash in the floor, and cockroaches were in the room. Forget that the TV remote didn't work. I didn't sleep a min.
The hotel is not in the finest of neighborhoods, but did not feel unsafe, just a industrial area . Hotel rooms were tastefully done and clean. Staff was helpful and attendant at complimentary breakfast was exemplary. would have no difficulty staying here again !
Nice hotel for an overnight stay. Breakfast was a little less than desirable as food was cold and no flavor. A lot of other hotels in the area were booked so we were glad we made a reservation. A lot of things around the hotel if you have other needs while traveling.
My friend and I decided to stay at this hotel to be near the casino. It was the best decision with the best price and breakfast bar. The breakfast bar had a large variety of foods to choose from. Everything was fresh and hot!. The beds were comfortable too. Everyone of the workers were extremely nice with beautiful smiles every time we left and came back. The room was super clean and quiet. This is the best of the Best Westerns!
We had no issues with this hotel or the stay, the front desk attendant was so helpful this one attendant went above customer service, the rooms was clean and the bed was comfortable, breakfast was available, hot and cold
They hotel room had mold in the bathroom, grass on the carpet, hair on the sheets, and the building smelled like weed . There is another hotel near by where the people just hang out. We stayed less than an hour and checked into another hotel, they also did not give a complete refund.
I've made it a habit to stay at Best Western hotel for work. I love racking up the points. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this location is. My room was clean, but didn't have a strong chemical smell, which is great. It was just fresh. The linens on the bed seemed brand new and crisp. I usually wipe down, Febreeze, and Lysol rooms I stay in, but I didn't feel the need to do that here. The surrounding area itself is not the best, but it is close to plenty of restaurants and shopping.
We were in town for a military graduation ceremony. Gerald C. checked is in he was very hospitable. The bed was comfortable. I try to leave positive post reviews. So check our experience and you be the judge. Our A/C barely worked, there blood on blankets that tucked that we didn't notice until day two. It was not our blood. You would think they would offer a concession for two days since were sleeping with someone else blood in the bed.... The carpets throughout the building and rooms need to be cleaned. We notice mold later on behind bathroom door. They didn't offer any type concessions. The hotel located between two other hotels behind an old abandoned Chinese Restaurant. Watch out for the whole in the Chinese restaurant parking lot near the hotel. There are stores and shops near by make your own decision. The rules in hotel say no pets allowed but there were pets with other guests in the hotel. My husband has allergies with dogs and cats, so we usually try to stay in a pet free environment. It also smelled. If you have pets coming in the building the carpets should be daily, weekly, and etc…. 4 stars for bed comfort 5 stars for Gerald C. - Front Desk Check-In 2-3 Breakfast 2-3 stars Overall experience There was no hot water available for tea drinkers. There were 3 coffee containers available.
Soggy sheets, smelled horrible, no towels. Floors disgusting. The employee at check in was very friendly and breakfast was decent. Would never spend that much money for a room that I felt completely disgusting in
Booked this motel through my Best Western account with their summer promotion. All the pictures and reviews sounded good since it was remodeled in 2019. However, our room was dirty, carpet and walls had some stains, only was given 1 towel, and there was a dirty/used washcloth hanging over the bathroom shower rod. Sign in lobby said masks required but this was not enforced. I am not one to complain so after I checked for bed bugs everything looked okay and we just went with it. However, in the morning when we got up there were several small bugs crawling on the walls and across the bathroom countertop including on our baby's clean washed bottle. I absolutely hate bugs. I complained to the front desk when we were checking out early that morning and he proceeded to give me stories about how if there's any food in the vicinity we should just expect bugs and that when his grandma and mom were raising him they always had a spotless house but they still had cockroaches. He told me to wait until 8:00 a.m. that day and call back and speak with the manager. However, we were on vacation and I didn't have cellular service 2 hours later when I went to call around 8. By that afternoon we were at the beach and honestly I did not want to call and even continue thinking about bugs when I was having a relaxing trip. I never did call and complain to the head manager because I didn't think it was worth the $120 for me just getting irritated and upset. However, I will say that we did have food in the room but we had food in all of our hotel rooms for the past 10 days and this was the only one that ever had a bug. The other complaint is the fitness center was so hot with no ventilation and the pool is outside across the parking lot with no secure access. The closest door was also broken so we had to walk our kids all the way across the parking lot to the front entrance late in the dark. Sketchy area. I really do not ever complain about motels and the staff was very nice even when he was trying to explain and come up with excuses for why there were bugs in our motel room the next morning haha. Stay if you want but just check your room really well and be aware that the pictures are not what they are in real life. It only took them 2 years to pretty much destroy and stain all the remodeled updates which is really sad.
Only two real complaints. One was the swimming pool was not clean. It's under trees, poor planning. The breakfast was out of juice and out of breakfast items. For the location, it was okay. Location needs to be upgraded.
Check in was easy. Desk clerks were amazing! Housekeeping dropped the ball. They left trash and towels in the room. Not a good cleaning job. Also someone smoked weed because I could smell it in my room. Ms Patricia, was great. The food was actually good. No brow bagged breakfast. She was very nice.
Do not stay at this hotel. I can't imagine there's a worse hotel in Montgomery. The staff there will smile and lie to your face. 2 towels for 3 of us for an entire weekend. Asked multiple times for towels with no luck. Oh I've got you on our board he'd say. No comforter. No maid service.
My shower/tub room wasn't clean at all and I have pictures to prove it. There were also at least 4 roaches in the bathroom. Paying $100 a night should not warrant these accommodations. Bad experience.
The hotel gave off the impression of being very unclean due to stains on the carpets and walls and the smell of marijuana all throughout the building. Staff was courteous and worked to fix problems as we brought them to their attention.
Filthy, horrible. Strong oder of smoke and marijuana. TV broke. One hotel staff working, runny all over did not respond when front desk was called. Guest service was horrible. We had to leave as I did not feel my family was safe at this hotel.
Clean, friendly, comfortable and affordable. My home away from home and I can actually leave my cleaning products at home and have more time to relax or concentrate on my business needs. Staff is always courteous and cheerful.
I did not book this hotel. We were staying with a group. They said it had 4 out of 5 stars, so I thought it would be ok. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the staff were friendly and helpful. I was so disappointed in this property! The outside looks nice/new. The inside was another story. It smelled smokey and stale. The hallways, including the walls and floors were very dirty. Floors had stains all over them, and our room/bathroom walls were filthy. There are two other motels (one in front of property and one behind property). There was quite a bit of noice coming from both of them well into the night. I did not feel comfortable there and would not stay there again. Find another hotel.
Pros: Front desk people were nice Gave us additional towels with no problems Cons; Pool was not cleaned The odor in the room gave it that cheap sleazy hotel vibe Breakfast was not served during our visit (something about food not being delivered) TV remote was awkward and had to press several buttons before they worked If you're just passing though it's okay.
Was totally surprised on the condition of the rooms and bathrooms. Stains everywhere from hallway to rooms. Limited towels and did not feel room had been thoroughly cleaned and rust in tub of bathroom. Very disappointed of Best Western and letting this property be in the condition it was in. Left a night early.
We stayed here for our niece's softball tournament. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. They have complimentary breakfast. (I always like making waffles.) We would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I stayed there on May 1st 2021. As we returned from the casino around 1:30 am we were getting ready for bed and as we turned the sheets back there were blood stains and a big brown spot at the head of the bed. All other hotels were booked by this time and we slept on the two chairs that was in the room. Upon on checking out the manager Jason would only refund half of our money. It was the worst hotel experience my wife and I have ever had and we travel a lot. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Will never ever stay there again. If you do please check your sheets or bring your own.
Got there after 9PM, check-in was ok. The hallways on the floor were severely stained , Room was ok but 5 out of 10 for clean. Chair was severely stained and sticky. Breakfast was so Corona bad we passed. Elevator failed while we were there and I am handicapped. No help offered. Front desk help laughed and was outside smoking when we did finally get down stairs. This was not a Best Western quality place at all.
We felt like we were in a prison ward. Banging on outside doors at 3:00AM. Plywood covering windows. Fencing fallen down providing access to what appeared drug deals in the adjoining parking lot. The hotel does not appear to have taken little precaution to protect guests though it did require a key to get in and out of external door. Once outside we were exposed to people coming and going through adjoining broken down fencing.
Check in was good but got to the room and it smelled of smoke. Got a room change and this room had an odor of smoke as well but not as strong as the first room. Also saw a cigarette butt on the floor in the hallway. Checked the sheets and it had some stains on them. Pointed that out to staff and they came in to change them, but 3 or 4 tries finally found some sheets that were not stained as bad as the rest. Thought I turned on the refrigerator but it did not cool my drinks. The chair and foot stool had stains all over them and did not want to sit on them. Woke up the next morning and started to brush my teeth and saw a roach on the counter by the coffee maker. Took care of that but saw another one crawling on the wall. Decided it was time to leave, went to front desk and reported the problem and told him we were going to check out early because of the problems. Forgot to get his name but he acknowledged my concern and asked what room I was in and told him.. As we were leaving he was behind the counter and I said just drop the room key in the box and he said yes. Two days later I get my bill and it showed me staying for 2 days when I only stayed 1 day. Still trying to get that fixed. Overall STAY AWAY from this hotel the pictures are clearly not what it looks like.
First of all we had to try 3 different remotes to get the tv to work. The gentleman at the front desk was really helpful with this. There was no Kleenex, which is not a big issue, but looks like others have had the same problem. Lots of noise during the night. Loud car stereos in the parking lots on and off. Woke up at 2:30 am to shouting outside our window and at 3:30 with people in the hallway talking/shouting. Not a good sleeping environment. I expect better from Best Western.
Great hotel with great customer service. Kim really helped during a difficult time. Facility and staff are phenomenal the room was quiet check in was speedy and efficient. Kim went above and beyond. I will definitely be staying again
We always stay here when we go to the casino in Montgomery, Alabama because the price is great, the staffs is friendly and the place is clean. When I check on the price at the casino hotel it was way out of my budget but at this hotel we always feel good when we stay there.
Eric is a wonderful employee and helped us out all night! We had no issues with anything while we was here. Just our brains locked the key in the room lol but Eric helped us out tremendously!! I recommend staying here in the future!
I've stayed at this hotel a few times. The area seems sketchy, but the hotel itself is safe. It's a nice sleek option for a decent price in Montgomery. I like that it was close to downtown, EastChase and not too far from Chantilly. The staff is very outgoing and will accommodate any thing that you may need.
I stayed in this motel a year ago, it had just opened after a renovation and seemed good, although hard to find. My recent stay offered no prepackaged breakfast of any kind, and it was more expensive than I expected.
The checkin was quick and easy. The workout room was great. From there it was not a good stay. The room was dirty. Previous guests had spilled a drink all over the nightstand which I had to clean so I could charge my phone. The carpet was so dirty and stained we refused to walk in the room without shoes. The upholstered chair/ottoman in the corner were so stained we didn't want to set anything on it. The room had a stale cigarette smell also. I would not recommend this hotel.
Brought my granddaughters out for a weekend get away . And this was one of a few hotels that pool was actually open due to covid 19. My girls enjoyed the pool. My only complaint is that it took almost 8 hours to get clean towels and house keeping never came to room.
We have stayed st numerous Best Western properties. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was friendly and kind. BUT... it sure went down hill from there. The toilet bowl was dirty, there was food on the floor behind the bathroom door. The constant noise level from room above was insane. Walking back and forth for hours like they were trying to get a mile in ... then we left early the next morning to go play golf in Greenville, we arrived back at the hotel around 5-6 pm and never had service to our room. We had to go get towels from the front desk. The tub fixtures were rusty and this place was just plain nasty. Also cigarette smoke was very noticeable early morning hours. People were hanging out in the parking lot area late hours. Never again will we stay at this location !!!!! No one should.
Enjoyed our stay here. Wasn't long, just needed somewhere for a good night's sleep close to the Interstate. Our room was spacious and clean. Have stayed here twice now and both were good visits. Would recommend.
No towels in the room no remote control the toilet was not flushed when we checked in and the room smelled like someone had just finished smoking inside the room when we entered does not recommend just hotel to anyone
The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and quiet. Basic breakfast is available. Not really of interest to me just had a cup of tea. Fresh fruit is my preferred choice. We would stay here again.
Everything was great the room was a little small but it was awesome I will be using BW again the staff was friendly the breakfast was hot and fresh ,the roomservice was nice ,we didn't get a chance too get in pool bc the weather was cold
The African American male, who worked 3/7/20 evening/night shift, was a jerk. He has a nasty attitude and is not customer friendly. He does not listen and was just down right nasty. The hotel issues should never fall on the customers. We don't over book rooms, the hotel does.
We stayed here for one night for business. The room we got was right next to the pantry... we asked for another room, and the frontdesk staff didn't even pretend to look in the computer and told us they are full... absolutely full to the brim kinda full.... no room at all... You know he didn't even bother to look and couldn't care less. The room looks ok in the photo but don't be fooled... the room was small and cleanliness was only ok... Super noisy, especially inconsiderate guests would gather outside the hallway to chat ALL NIGHT... random suspicious ppl would hang around the lobby and the breakfast area at night.. Breakfast was awful too.. for 100 USD per night it is a rip off.. don't stay here
Everything in the hotel is spic and span. Large breakfast area with multiple rooms. Helpful housekeeping staff. Comfortable beds are softer than average. Heating unit in the room worked well but vibrated noisily when the heating element came on to maintain temperature setting. Reported to hotel manager who was available at desk on check-out.
This hotel in pictures seems okay, however in reality, it is surrounded by one star hotels on both sides. The entrance to the hotel is through a run down restaurant parking lot!! Not a 3 star hotel!!!
This hotel is conveniently located just off the freeway and near several good dining and shopping options. The staff at check in was very friendly. Excellent beds. Good breakfast and great WiFi. The room was very quiet and comfortable.
Stayed at this hotel for two nights while on a trip to visit family. The whole hotel reeked of bleach, air freshener with an undertone of cigarette smoke. The floor under the AC unit was very wet, making me think either the window leaked as it has been raining or the AC was leaking and there was mold in the corner of the windowsill. The staff was rude. I waited for 10 minutes for someone to come help me check in and the breakfast staff was talking on their phone headset both mornings while serving breakfast.
Nice hotel with pleasant staff. Plenty of hot and cold breakfast items available. Great tasting coffee too. I would stay here again. Beds are super comfy. The only issue is you can hear people above you.
Would not stay here again. Room smelled musty, dim lighting, ugly decor (especially hall carpet). Worst was having housecleaning walk in mid-afternoon without knocking while we were getting dressed for an event. They had not cleaned the room by that point, other than to remove towels, then they hung a Do Not Disturb sign on our door and did not replace the towels! Not cool!
Stayed here while passing through Montgomery. Is was clean and overall I would give it a 6/10. The rooms were smaller then expected. The breakfast was ok, the waffle batter was definitely watered down, or they are using a brand other then Golden Malted. Eggs, sausage and potatoes were available, some cheese and tortilla wraps would have put it over the top.
great new hotel. Very clean. I stayed on 2 different occasion Will stay again. I love stay a best western for business trips. Nice TV in room. If you are in town and looking for a good stay give them a chance.
Worst BW I have stayed in. Will not return to this location. First room offering smelled of mold and mildew so we were offered a different room. When opened door the smell of new room hit us in the face. We opted for the first room. The TV remote malfunctioned and heat/ac could not be controlled, just shut it off. The people were nice but did not acknowledge any problem with smell. Maybe because I paid with BW Reward points I was only offered crappy accommodations.
Very efficient service desk personnel. Clean rooms and good breakfast choices. Left my garment bag they were extremely Helpful in helping return it to me. Location is excellent for any type dining you could imagine.
This place needs to improve cleanliness. Just that simple. Not what would be expected from a Best Western. There were stains on the comforter, halls and floors are a sticky mess, initial appearance is good but that is where the cleanliness ends.
Comfrey bed with nice sheets, great HD TV w good channel selection and a remote that works well. fast internet, decent room lighting, lots of hot water, nice towels good heating in room and good breakfast
Nice hotel. Very clean. Extremely nice staff. It is very close to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, so its great to see a play, then go to the hotel. It's a hotel, not a motel, so quiet and safe. Pleasant surprise.
The Staff in all departments are wonderful and helpful. The first night we arrived the front desk clerk welcomed us. The breakfast staff is wonderful. Location is wonderful. It is 15 minutes from all the attractions.
Conveniently located close to airport and downtown. Complimentary shuttle from airport and to area restaurants! Hosptitable staff, clean well appointed room, large roomy suite, comfortable bed and pillows.
If you need a clean, easy to get to, budget friendly travel hotel this one meets the bill. Very easy to get too. Very comfortable room. Very kind staff. Only downside was the breakfast did not start until 6 and we had to get on the road.....Great travel stay.
On a recent large group bus trip to Montgomery, this Best Western went out of their way to provide us with great service and excellent accommodations. Checking in (31 people) was orderly and efficient. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and staff were always available to help us in way.
Positives: Breakfast was nice enough. Omelets, turkey sausage, potatoes, yogurt, whole and 2% milk. Breakfast starts at 6am and not a second before. Everything seemed to be on the healthier side. Not greasy. Big dinning area. Doors did not click loudly shut which sometimes wakes me up. Beds were comfortable, not hard. Heavenly pillows. Hot water was instant. I had it turned all the way to hot for a perfect shower. Negatives: There was a cheaper hotel next door and I worried about our car a bit. The parking lot is extremely well lighted at night. My husband likes white noise. The digital ac is quiet and efficient but does not have the feature where the fan can run and make noise. If he would have wanted noise he would have installed an app but he was tired. * I will stay there again. It is extremely convenient to the interstate, QUIET, and clean.
Stayed for Thanksgiving with infant son and pre-teen daughter. Checked into room 132, after several hour drive, son was asleep as it was late night. Took a shower, got into bed and felt something on my legs. Turn on lights and there was dirt and debris in my sheets. Got out of bed and noticed same debris on floor. Put son in neighboring room with family I traveled with and asked for a new room as house keeping was gone. Put in room on second floor, room 224. Immediately checked sheets and to my satisfaction, they were clean. Floor had stains but it was going on midnight and I just needed to get my son and rest. Ate average breakfast next morning and left at 10:30ish that morning. Returned to hotel at 11pm that evening, room service had come as beds were made. Pulled back sheets to disgusting stain. Asked for another room. Was put in room 332. Third floor smelt like marijuana but that's more to do with guest. Room cleanest of the trip. There was no bellhop so all items carried from floor to floor via elevator. Carpet on 2nd floor dirty. Was told GM would call but never got a call.
The staff made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. They changed their breakfast for Jewish people with dietary restrictions, took our departure pictures and generally took great care of our group of 31.
This fit my needs and more importantly my budget for a two night stay just 10 minutes from downtown Montgomery! I had no problems at all at the hotel and it is on a highway where there are other places to shop and run get necessities or eat out if necessary. The only concern I had was the gap underneath the room doors. That let noise in from the outside. So, I would suggest them redo the doors. I put towels at the bottom of my door to make me feel more comfortable.
Excellent stay, clean and new decor. Friendly and kind staff. Coffee and breakfast provided. Centrally located to downtown Montgomery. Excellent option for those looking to stay within budget and have quality accommodations.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a fly drive through Alabama holiday. Location was good and easy to find. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Queen room with 2 double beds was ok and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and was fine and tasty. Good place to stay for a couple of nights.
We had a Youth Choir Festival. Easy access from I85. B'fast was as good as any restaurant for a quick yet filling start to our day. The only complaint about this hotel is the placement of the sink in our room. Design doesn't allow for easy flow.
We stay at this location for an overnight break on the way to Orange Beach. We had planned to stay in Prattville but missed the exit and are glad we did! Eric and Kyra and the whole staff at this hotel were fun and welcoming! We spent the night and then headed downtown to do a little sightseeing before getting back on the road. I would definitely stay at this location again due to the location and hotel staff.
On October 5th and 6th my family of 15 checked in to this location. We were greeted by James. The check-in was smooth. Later that night an additional family member arrived and the person working the front desk about 10 p.m. I did not get his name but he helped find a room with a decent rate. The breakfast area was set up nicely, food was hot and plenty, nobody had any complaints about their accommodations in their rooms everything was clean and ready for us on time. We did not use the gym nor the pool. I would stay here again.
One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in in quite some time. The hallways were clean and the colorful decor was so appealing. This hotel had that "brand new" type of clean to it. The bathroom was kind of small, but I could live with that. Next time we travel we will be looking for a Best Western.
Where to begin... For starters I wasn't acknowledged for being an Elite member. The hair dryer was hidden in a different spot than typical places at BW hotels. The air/fan wasn't even on when we arrived and never got caught up, even though I set it on high at 65. I felt like I was laying downhill in the bed. Oh..and when I asked the girl at the desk for a couple washcloths, she gives me those plus towels because she "didn't know what I needed." On the plus side, the cleanliness and appearance of the place was great! Breakfast was great! And bugs were NOT present in the room, which is a big positice for me.
We did not have any problems with the hotel. The breakfast was not that good so we didn't eat it. The problem was there was not that much parking and there were 2 or 3 construction trucks parked along the back. I scrapped up my car because there was not enough room to get out.
I have stayed at this particular hotel before and it was great! My last stay, however, not so much. This hotel is directly in the middle of 2 really low budget hotels. My first night I was awoken to people screaming and fighting at one of the other hotels. This went on for quite awhile. The 2nd night I was awoken several times by car alarms going off at the shady hotel next door. My room was not cleaned prior to my arrival as I stepped on grape stems twice. I did not bring grapes. I did not step on the stems until the last morning, but gross....this means the floor had not been vacuumed prior to my arrival. I also noticed, on my last night, that there was a plastic knife in the floor, under the desk. Just more proof that the room had not been cleaned. I just pray the sheets had been changed. Ignorance is truly bliss on that subject. I'm just glad that I was only in the room to sleep (or try to anyway) and not any longer. I also noticed ants all over the counter where they were serving the continental breakfast...needless to say, I did not eat breakfast. I know this hotel can't really help that they are surrounded by trashy hotels, but I will not be back to this hotel because I like not being awoken by screaming and possible criminal activity every night. I also will not return as this hotel apparently has major issues with being able to adequately clean (grape stems, knife, ants...).
My boyfriend and I stayed here and the room was to our liking. It looked just as amazing as the picture that is on the website. I will be coming back to stay. The people were super friendly. The hotel room was super clean and the lobby was as well.
I notice that the carpet in the hallway was dirty and the toilet need to be updated to low.I didn't agree with the price because lots of the five star hotel don't charge these price over price for what you not getting.
This was a last minute booking to cut our drive from Atlanta to the beach in half. The reviews seemed favorable and the price was right so we booked it and arrived around 10PM. When we got there, I stood at the check in desk for a solid ten minutes waiting for someone to show up to check us in. Then, we got to the room. It was clean and no complaints about it. However, every room around us sounded like there was a party going on. Loud music coming from the room next to us and the three rooms across the hall were all talking so loudly, it felt like they could have been in our room. Then, there were people standing outside our door at 10:30 on speaker phone. We went to the person who checked us in and asked if we could move rooms. He said the only rooms he could move us to were double queen rooms and he would have to charge us more. He said he would come and ask the other guests to quiet down. About 15 minutes later, it was getting worse and the front desk guy hadn't made it down to talk to anyone. We were exhausted and decided to cut our losses, eat the non refundable hotel booking cost and booked at the Fairfield Inn down by the airport. Significantly better experience AND we ended up getting it cheaper than we got the Best Western. Who knows, maybe it would have quieted down. But I wasnt interested in spending a night unable to sleep. I would recommend a hard pass on this hotel and stay somewhere else.
I stayed 4 nights and the front desk and housekeeping were a absolutely wonderful every single employee I came in contact with was very polite and very helpful to me and my family Kim B was especially helpful at all times. I felt so welcomed almost like I was at a family members house. Thank you all so much. Will recommend and def stay again the next time I'm in town
What can I say. Overall great experience. The room was clean and comfortable. Employees were very pleasant, professional, courteous and efficient. Breakfast was satisfying. Didn't use the pool so I can't comment on that. Just an overall nice 3 day stay.
You can get a room here for under $100 on the internet. Mine cost $144 because the company booked it the day of. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. Driveway doesn't look like much driving in but the Wifi is good, TV has all the channels now (last visit Fox news was missing) and it was relatively quiet. Great place to stay for under a hundred. If you get Kim at the Front Desk, she will make you feel at home. She's awesome.
We checked in and went to the room. Bathroom had a couple faux pas. The room otherwise was OK but when you find things it kind of deflates your expectations. Breakfast was bare compared to other Best Westerns we have stayed at. After check out we went to the Legacy Museum. Dramatic! Being from New England I could only imagine what life was like and what the Civil War did to transform our society although reading some of the documentations that are present you would still be hard pressed to say that the Alabama has changed for the better. One document stated that Union troops pulled out shortly after the war ended, methinks they should have occupied the South for a longer period to force changes and protect American Laws. It was a travesty of justice that has remnants that remain against Americans.
I located this hotel and thought it was a good choice for a one night stop due to weather con dictions. When I arrived people were standing around outside the door. I didn't realize the actual front desk clerk was outside. When we attempted to check in, the person came inside. He was pleasant and gave me my keys. He even walked down to ask the housekeeper was the room ready. She replied yes. I noticed the bathroom door was hung improperly and offers no privacy, but overlooked it because I was tired. I took a nap for about two hours, woke up took a shower and went to unpack some necessities. I opened the drawer by the bed and next to the Bible ...used syringes. I was immediately went to the front desk and a different person was there. I showed him the syringes and he offered to clean it. I asked did he have protective gear, he said no. I have never been so grossed out in my life. Do yourself a favor... pass this one by. Unacceptable! Pictures of the door to the bathroom and the syringes.
This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in a while. Staff was really friendly, courteous, considerate nice and hospitable. Check in was fast. Room was clean and comfortable. I would rate it 4.9 out of 5.
Average Hotel. It's NOT a Best Western PLUS, so it's not as nice. It worked for one night. Located Northeast of Downtown. It's close to the interstate, but there are weird on and off ramps, exercise caution...especially at night. Room could of and should have been cheaper. It's just an okay property. Typical BW breakfast, nothing fancy.
The staff was very professional. They greeted you with a smile and was able to help you experience the best hotel experience. My family and was there the Fourth of July for a short vacation and I certainly enjoyed the pampering we received at best western. Everything was clean and very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone in this area who are looking for top quality and care visit best western Carmichael road, Montegomery, Al. Thank you Best Western Family.
The front desk was excellent. The rooms was nice and roomy. They upgrade me to an apartment suite free of charge because I told them I was there doing college tour. Will recommend this hotel to everyone. Only problem is the hotel sit in the back and you have to drive thrur a restaurant parking lot
Clean and reasonable with excellent breakfast. I did not rate 5 because carpet in the halls was stained and old. The breakfast had more than most hotels free breakfast. Many probably don't need to advertise breakfast if they don't have enough for the guest. We were traveling through as a break in our trip. You can't be the price and friendliness so I would say yes, book it!
I enjoyed staying at this property with a friend of mine. The check in was nice and the room was fresh, clean and appealing. When we checked out we were hoping to get breakfast however the attendant Deborah was just completing her clean up. She was so friendly. We only wanted some juice not to delay her process however she went above and beyond. She turned back on the juice machines and also made us a small bag of fruits and snacks to take with us on the road. Will definitely choose this property my next stay in Montgomery. Great hospitality!!!
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed for the first time at this hotel and it is the nicest one I have stayed at for the value. So I will stay there next time I go to Montgomery. It had recently been remolded and the updates were fabulous.
We stayed here for my niece graduation and the hotel is very nice!!! The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable!!! The staff was AMAZING!!!! THE BREAKFAST WAS SO GOOD!!! If you come here look for Ms. Debrah and Ms. Kyla!!! They had this morning breakfast on point!!! The sausage look like it was handcrafted!! The eggs were cooked to perfection!!! The waffles were better than waffle house! If we come back to Montgomery we will CERTAINLY STAY HERE AGAIN!!
After no cooperation from the Manager, I want to thank the cleaning staff for retrieving my lost item and receptionist, Kim Long, for seeing that it was returned to me. I appreciate their kindness. The hotel was fine - room clean - and good location for our visit.
How do I began we are from Ohio and it was a long trip to see my grandson graduate and my debit card was not working when we arrived at the hotel and James the front desk clerk helped me out in more than one way he went beyond the call of duty to make sure our stay was good and I want to thank him for that someone anyone please give him a raise he really does deserves it
My stay was very comfortable and the room was clean. I just wanted more choices for breakfast. I think the stay would have been better if there was an indoor pool or maybe the pool can be closer to the hotel.
We stopped here on our trip from Louisiana to Savannah. The hotel was very clean and updated. All personnel were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of hot water and breakfast was satisfactory. The only negative point was the EXTREMELY uncomfortable easy chair.
We stayed here one night and it was a good place. Farther off of the highway than we thought but not a bad location and a decent rest. The people were friendly and the place was clean. Get a room away from the traffic noise.
Is as expected - a travelers hotel Located next to three other hotels so does what it says on the tin Staff very friendly and helpful Rooms clean but functional Free on site parking Did also have laundry services available on each floor so handy if on a long road trip
Deborah killed it for the breakfast, the 5 starts are for her, although our room did have struggles with having a shower curtain ready and having a floor towel for the bathroom. The Tv was dope, the beds were well done and the gym was well kept!
Noisy, can hear guests walking in rooms above... lights from hotel next door made it difficult to sleep even with window shades...smoke free hotel but smokers hung out at front ddoor... take your own soap & shampoo& towels as backup... Good location
This is a newly renovated hotel with exceptionally friendly front desk staff and a spacious well equipped breakfast area. Our room was spanking clean and quiet, with comfortable beds and a good amount of counter space. The only low note was the dining room staff person, who was invisible when a large group of school students took it over early, leaving the counters sticky and the coffee urn empty. When they left and she finally emerged, it was only to mumble loudly to herself and clang pots together in an apparent effort to deny the space to those of us trying to eat in peace.
This well situated BW offers clean and affordable rooms 15 minutes from downtown Montgomery and its epic Legacy Museum. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious and well appointed. What puts this BW into the 5 star range is their excellent staff. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely to care about your experience. In particular Deborah Smith, the breakfast attendant, was especially friendly, making sure we had a full breakfast even though we were nearly late.
In our STRONGEST of opinions, if Best Western hopes to retain its FORMER best ever of any “ chain hotel” status, it MUST keep on top of those (?) franchisees whose “Best Westerns” obliterate ANY sense that Best Western remains a chain one is THRILLED to see and KNOWS will be of the highest quality. This horrible hotel, its native Montgomery EMPLOYEES aside (all so sweet/helpful/seemingly under a HIGHLY authoritative regime), was SHOCKING in its immensely low-grade construction, UTTERLY base provision of even towels (strictly ONE per person) to its SLIMMEST and SINGLE “ bedspread/sheet combo, to its PARKING LOT filled through the evening with LOUD, DRINKING, SMOKING people who were not FEET below our window- yet NO ONE would remove them AT ALL! This is now the 3rd foreigner-owned Best Western that degrades, in our strongest of 20 plus year experience as Best Western guests, both your BRAND and, far worse, our previous unquestioned knowledge that stating at Best Western MEANT expecting/receiving a QUALITY stay!
We love Best Westerns, but not this one! Checked in about 10pm and we're accosted in the parking lot by someone asking for money. The room was clean, but when housekeeping made up the room the next morning, they simply emptied the trash and removed used towels. Didn't even straighten the bed covers. The beds moderately comfortable, but the mattress covers had a slightly plasticised material that crackled when we moved and made us feel clammy. We requested an extra chair for the room and had to ask 3 times before they said yes. Try another motel when you come to Montgomery!
Friends and I stayed here over March 24th & 25th. Our rooms were well appointed and clean, but the standout was the staff here. I cannot recall all of the names, but Kym stands out at the front desk and, most of all, Deborah, at breakfast. Breakfast was utterly swamped by two busloads, and Deborah was overwhelmed by the need to resupply the dining area and responding to a literal din of requests and questions. Yet throughout she remained genuinely cheerful, good humored, and eager to assist. This woman is a huge asset to this motel, and its owners are truly blessed.
Deborah, the chef here did an amazing job on food, and came and talked to me and my group. She embodies a love of food and people, and made my experience here feel like I was staying at home. Thank you!
Room fine, location good for highway and only a few minutes drive to the awe inspiring museums and memorials of the civil rights struggle. Breakfast enlivened by the delightful Deborah Smith who could not have been more delightful. Not to leave out the rest of the staff who were helpful and friendly.
Very last minute stop! Couldn't complain not one bit! CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!! Respectful staff. Best part was waking up for breakfast, breakfast lady Deborah; was very very very kind and made very delicious food. She was the best!
Not a pleasant place to stay went for my Daughters Graduation . Noisy place to stay also prior accommodations no towles in room. Breakfast was horrible ran out of things . Front desk personnel had a Kleenex stuffed in her nose checking out customers
We got the room at the last minute. The night staff was very polite and helpful. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Ms. Deborah was very polite and attentive she kept the food serving and dining areas clean and serviceable. The day staff and manager was very polite and approachable. I would stay here again.
I stay in Best Westerns all the time this is one was the absolute worst. The in-room microwave had leftover food in it. Bathroom tub had hair on the walls. Sheets on the bed were stained periods carpet throughout the entire Hotel was very very dirty and nasty.
This was the first Best Western I have stayed in; I have always associated BW with a place for truck drivers, families with 2+ children, cheating spouses, etc. I gave BW a shot because the facility was updated and I had to make last minute plans I think it the hotel is a great value, but there were the problems lies. Because it is affordable I think it attracts the kind of people I prefer not to be around e.g. the occupants of the adjacent room, banged on doors, walls, made noise and made my stay terrible; part of the problem is due to the paper thin walls, I could even hear the occupant above me walking around. If money is a major factor, I would say stay there, otherwise pay for quality room.
Apparently reservations mean nothing to this company. Reserved room weeks in advanced to stay at this specific hotel because daughters team was staying. Arrived to check in to be told they were overbooked by at least 6 rooms. Front desk Erick tried to help a best he could called manager for approval to offer comped room next door at sister property Americana Inn. Sister hotel no where near the caliber of what I actually booked but attempted to take the room anyway. Americana Inn clerk called manager and they claimed no comps. Not sure what kind of business they are trying to run but normally when you screw up you attempt to make it up to your customer as best you can not offer them a room that they have to pay for that is of lesser quality than what you booked. Booked directly with best western so no way to blame this on the third party apps. Will NEVER stay at Best Western or any of their other properties again.
Had a reservation for over a week. Arrived to check in and no rooms available even with our confirmation #!!!! Never will Best Western receive my business!!!!! Don't let the thought you actually have a reservation fool you it means nothing. Would have left no stars if the app would have let me.
The best lady that I have every meet at a motel I have been at very nice and helpful thanks you much Rocket .The food was great and hot with everything that you need a good breakfast and will be back again
She is an awesome person. An asset to your company. She was very friendly and professional. The food was well prepared. The arrangement of the food was very pleasing to the eyes. Everything was delicious. She made sure that all our needs were met. Will be returning because of her!!
We were in Montgomery for a few days visiting some of the Civil Rights sites. The hotel was well located and clean and fresh (the carpet in the halls was disorienting though, joke). The staff was very helpful even though they were busy with some college sports teams (good luck Berea baseball). We will see you again.
This was my second stay at this property, and I was there for two nights. I was surprised on the second day that I did not receive any housekeeping services - when I inquired at checkout, I was told that they were sorry but had no idea how that had happened. I travel over 100 nights each year, and I expect the room to be cleaned and new both towels each day. Their nonchalant attitude and failure means I'll take this property off my list.
Apparently the price as listed on TripAdvisor and many other sites mean absolutely nothing. Upon arrival, the amount quoted and the amount charged was considerably higher than what is available on the sites. The hotel is shamingly dirty. It doesn't take that much to keep the carpets vacuumed – – cheap management or lazy employees?
Hotel was dirty, couldn't access wifi, breakfast was minimal. Staff did not seem customer focused. Should have stayed in nearby Holiday Inn Express. Slightly higher cost but probably would have been worth it.
I made a last minute reservation and was greeted warmly when I arrived. James was very helpful when checking me in and gave me a room on the first floor so I did not have to go far with my luggage for the one night. Checkout was very pleasant and quick.
I really like what Best Western has done with their hotels. The staff was friendly. The room was spacious and accommodating. The breakfast can stand to be improved. I actually ate breakfast at other local places because the breakfast are was overcrowded and they ran out of some items. It is continental at best what a few add-ons. However, I did enjoy the room and my stay. I would definitely stay there or at Best Westerns again..
Overall hotel service was great (as usual at BW) .. but the breakfast experience was absolutely unacceptable having food and beverages finished in a short time and not been able to resupply them and having just a sorry as justification.
Our room was nice, but had problems w checkout! Room had already been paid for but they still charged my best friends card, saying we came in to late, even though she called several times to confirm it was ok that we would be in late! They did reimburse her! Always get your receipt and check it! The breakfast was ok!
After a greuling 24 hr airline trip, and 3 hour cartrip from Alaska to Montgomery we arrived, most grateful for a most sincere " Welcome"! Accomodations were spot on! The FD Crew and Charles, made our stay delightful with their authenticity, smiles and sincere desire to create " We are happy that you are HERE." namaste
Kind, helpful staff; clean-both qualities we strongly appreciate. Breakfast was varied and tasty; the breakfast staff attentive and friendly.Minor improvements would be softer towels and toilet paper.
The neighborhood this hotel is in is not so nice. My kids were starving when we got in mid afternoon so I walked to the Taco Bell next to the hotel and I was approached by homeless people twice. Which made me a little uneasy but I never felt threatened. It's about a 15 minute drive to Maxwell AFB. The hotel itself was good. Room were clean and modern, the beds were comfortable and the staff is wonderful! Thanks to Johnathan to checking us in and being so kind and accommodating. Breakfast at the hotel could use some work...,yuck. The hotel does have some cereal and pastries that work though. My kids even said the milk tastes like chemicals. Although they did live the fresh cookies in the lobby every afternoon.
We came as a wedding group and had such a great time! The people that made our experience the best was Kimberly, latisha and moniqua from housekeeping, james and kyla from the front desk and Darrell who was working security. Also the front office manager/supervisor was great too! Ya'll have a terrific team and we had a great stay!
Pros; clean, close to the interstate, check in excellent, great internet service, nice LG tv, enjoyed the fitness room, lot of restaurant in the area, breakfast average. Con: fire alarm went off around 530 am, I could here the person that stayed above me every move, went to checkout waited 5-7 mins for someone to acknowledge me, never said good morning how was your stay or sorry the alarm went off at 530 in the morning scaring me. And this was the general manager Nicola. No courtesy. Will I stay again no this was my first time staying at a best western. Keep blind closed.
The BW is hard to notice. It shares a small sign/location with an Asian-style restaurant (the restaurant sign is more noticeable). The hotel is back a 150-200 yards from the street which adds to the “lost location”, but after searching for a few minutes and driving past it twice we made it. The first room we checked into had a noticeable smoke smell (207) so we asked for a different room and got one that smelled fresh. The front desk was very accommodating and made the switch as needed. The rooms are recently refurbished with modern style furniture and are clean (excepting 207 smoke). Internet speed was very quick for a hotel at 20mbps. Usually I get around 3-4 mbps. My personal dislike about the hotel and one which would dissuade me from staying again....the A/C unit is a “through-the-wall type and you cannot set the fan to run continuously. So all night you get the on-off startups and stops. If you are a light sleeper, it's a pain. Other than that, a decent place to stay. (and only a very short drive to Jan's Beach House and Grill....check their reviews.)
We arrived late and check in went well, helpful with where our room was and the internet code etc. Good room, everything worked as it should. Unfortunately there was a large group of kids and chaperones at breakfast time, they had taken over the breakfast area with their luggage etc. There were US service people in uniform that didn't seem to get a breakfast nor a place to stay. I don't know how the hotel could have handled this however, I would have myself, but I'm a guest in your country and felt it was not my place to correct basic manners of others. I'm pretty sure the hotel staff could have said that they had to remove the luggage etc from the eating areas.
We had to evacuate PCB because of hurricane Michael. We decided on Montgomery and we are happy we did. Stayed a Monday night to Friday morning. Everyone in this hotel was so accommodating and pleasant. Especially Kim that checked us in and James that checked us out! We had a fabulous stay! Will for sure stop there next family vacau to FL! Indiana loves you guys!!
I just wanted to say i'm very impressed with Kim- one of the receptionist. With the hurricane coming she was extremely busy. Phone was ringing off the hook and she managed to help all customers via phone while the lobby was very full.. I thought great i'm going to be standing here forever but nope she was able to help everyone in a timely fashion. All with a smile on her face! Her hospitality was great even with the chaos. Thanks Kim
This hotel has the best hospitality of any we have stayed in. Kim at the front desk was friendly and gave good restaurant recommendations. Hats off to the other Kim who works breakfast/housekeeping/laundry. She is a jewel. She worked hard to keep the breakfast buffet supplied and hot. She would go around asking patrons if they needed anything - refilling their beverages, etc.. We asked for extra coffee on day 1, (without us asking again) she made sure we had extra coffee in our room . I cannot say enough about this wonderful lady and know she will go far in the hotel industry. Kim, it was nice meeting you and chatting each morning. Take care!
James Miles - the hospitality of this staff member was excellent. Very efficient and proficient. Knew his job well. Helped in many different areas. Pleasant personality and willingness to help with everything.
I recently stayed st this hotel and the staff were amazing!! Especially Kim on the front desk. She always greeted us with a big smile!!! I highly recommend this hotel!! Also very clean !! Breakfast was great
Overall the hotel as lizzards, roaches, and the breakfast served is over night stocked.not a good place to stay needs improvement on the staff they are very unprofessional.they need to replace the staff in the house keeping department,,they allow the worker's to clean rooms while sleeping with the quest.which I'm informing that some housekeepers sleep around on the clock and the general manager Nicole needs more equilivant for her position,,I advice people be careful when booking cheap rooms.
Stayed for one night passing through. The hotel was great. The fitness room has dumbbells up to 50lbs. The breakfast is great the pancake machine was fun! I will prob be staying next month on my way back.
First time staying at this property. Appears to be almost new. Rooms were clean and comfortable although a little small, as were the hallways. However, this in no way detracted from having a great night sleep. They have a very friendly staff---- housekeeping, front desk (Kim), and all we encountered, were so pleasant and outgoing.. The location is excellent with easy access to the interstate. The only downside, and the reason I didn't give an excellent rating was because of the breakfast. It was OK, but not outstanding. When I was having breakfast, I never saw anyone checking on food, or replenishing items. For instance, there was a waffle maker, but no syrup to put on them. Also, one banana for fresh fruit selection. I'm certain if I had been eating earlier (I was eating about 1 hour before buffet closed down), this might not have been a problem, but just saying-------Bottom line however, this is a very nice place to stay, with a pleasant and helpful staff.. I would definitely stay there again.
I have never stayed at a Best Western so I was kind of iffy about staying here, but I'm so glad I did. I was stuck in Montgomery for 3 weeks & the entire staff made me feel like I was at home. My room & the setting of the hotel was great. I truly have not one complaint at all. The entire housekeeping is great! I love Kim, Tish, & Sabrina! The front desk staff welcomes you so well at check in & every time you pass by. James, Kim, & Nicole offer amazing customer service! This has become my favorite hotel & will be the hotel I suggest to everyone. I will definitely stay there my next time in Montgomery.
I was skeptical at first with your hotel since it was by two motels that didn't look so great but on the outside looking In i couldn't have chosen a better place for a night stay fresh cookies where baked and nice flavored water also I really enjoyed the front desk person James he was just a sweet pleasure to see we held a good conversation upon my check in I wanna say congratulations to him upon his graduation and I hope you do your best in your bright future ahead of you and I wanna say I didn't get a chance to meet the MOD Nicole but you run a tight ship and like that thank you all for the nice stay.
I was pleased with the congeniality of the staff. The two housekeeping ladies Kim and Trish worked hard on all floors to be ready for our bus. They were short on help and they did not let this bother them. I hope to experience these kind of people on my future trips.
This is an amazing hotel. James, who was the Front Representative that checked us in had excellent customer service. He smiled and was attentive to us having a wonderful stay. I love the smell of the hotel when I walked in the entrance. Our Room was clean and cozy.
I stayed at this property some time last week and I just found the TripAdvisor card James gave me he wanted me to do a review of the hotel and I must say that it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at the ENTIRE staff was friendly hand helpful and I wanna give James a big thank you for making me feel at home If was leaving in the morning or coming back in the afternoon he still had the same warm welcoming spirt that you can't find in many places thank you Best Western.
The hotel is in an area directly off the interstate. It has a beautiful front, but sits in an area between 2, not so classy hotels. The look out the window is the privacy fence of the not so great hotel (being nice here) behind BW and the windows directly into the rooms of that same hotel. It is kind of creepy and you must keep your shades pulled. The hotel pool is way across the parking lot of the hotel. When folks come back in to the hotel from the pool, it puddles water all the way from the front door into the elevators. The floors are not carpeted so it makes one very leery of falling. The parking lot is part of a restaurant and it is horrible due to extreme cracks and pot holes. It is a shame this beautiful hotel is in this area. The hotel in front is a Sure Stay, part of BW - you would think BW would just incorporate the 2 and make a truly nice hotel. It is close enough to the Casino to warrant such a thing I would think.
We were passing through on our way to Florida, and made a last minute reservation. The front desk clerk James, was very friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The motel room was clean, and modern. We had no issues. The motel was just off the highway, easy to get to. James recommended a restaurant just down the road for us, and it was excellent as well.
The Best Western Montgomery I-85 North has absolutely everything you can imagine for a moderately priced hotel. One of the best parts of our stay was our check-in experience with James, and the WONDERFUL bed they provide. Our rest was great and I can't say enough about James and the other staff at the hotel. We felt like ROYALTY. We was saddened when we had to leave. For the money, this hotel "rocks"!!
Appreciated everything....cleanliness, modern, access, breakfast. Especially appreciated front desk Kim who is frirndly and professionsl. She cares about the hotel guests. She is as bright and beautiful as rhe flowers ourside. Thank you Best Western for hiring great people.
James was very informative, helpful and a fabulous customer service person. I really appreciated all he did. Hotel is so clean and smells wonderful. Shower had strong water pressure. Breakfast was nice.
My family and I travel quite often and i had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Montgomery. James who was on duty had the most friendliest attitude ever. He was knowledgeable and a such a pleasure to speak with. What really amazed me is that he kept a smile on his face the entire conversation. It very rare that a person can find such great customer service. Thank you James for all that you do and please keep up the great work. Mrs. Davis
Very friendly & helpful greeter at front desk; personnel working food area kept all food items stocked and area clean; overall excellent staff; lobby inviting and clean; clean & comfortable room; average breakfast; overall very good value. Will stay again on next trip.
We had a late check in as we were coming from over 9 hours away, they were amazing! Rooms were updated, and clean. Only downfall I left my shampoo in the shower and by the time I made it to my car and walked back up to get it, it was gone.. so room service wasn't that great.
fantastic hotel! I stayed here overnight for a business meeting the next day, I was stressed upon arrival and talking to the great front desk service and being checked in quickly made the night much smoother! The room was clean and my stay made my experience in Alabama much better.
I brought a big group in to stay and got a great price, and the Sales Manager and General Manager were professional and willing work with and accommodate us. Front desk staff was well dressed and articulate. They made sure the needs were met. The only thing that our group thought that needed improvement was breakfast. They need healthier options. Vegans could find nothing to eat , so fresh fruit would be great.
Love the staff. James at the front desk was excellent. Needs improvement in the breakfast set up and things to do in the area for entertainment. I believe the rooms near work areas should be rented once the location is full.
Property was very clean and the room was very comfy. I loved the sheets! The staff was super. Property was conveniently located right off of the interstate. Hotel appears to be recently redone. Breakfast was good also.
Great accomodations for an excellent price. Kim, the front desk professional, was so helpful and pleasant. She truly cares about the comfort of her guests and treats them like guests at her own home. The rooms have all been updated and the beds are very comfortable. Could not hear at peep out of any guests or any road noise. Will visit again.
James is the best. After waiting 2 hours in traffic he made the check in a breeze. This hotel is exactly how it looks online. GREAT stay with welcoming employees. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
I visited this location and for whatever reason traffic was horrible sat on 85 for 3 hours. Upon arriving I was greeted by great customer service a young man named James. Quick check out. I discovered this hotel on USAA.
James was very helpful and very attentive to what the customer needed. I will definitely stay here again and will recommend this hotel to others. The mattress was wonderfuly soft both my husband and I woke up very refreshed !!!
James is just a gem amoung others I am thankful for great service at your hotel he helped us with breakfast and with our bags now that's a a great man check in was good and check out was good also and the general manger was so kind and helpful also.
We stayed here while driving to the beach. We have teen boys and need a place with a pool and breakfast. The hotel is newer, and has a very nice pool that's big enough for several people to enjoy. Several restaurants are nearby. The front desk clerk was delightful and check in was quick and easy. Would go back
I stayed here with my husband while he was passing through town for work. Overall, I was pleased with the experience. I thought the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful, our room was clean and stocked, and the gym appeared to be above average (we didn't have a chance to use it but considered it). For the brand/price I thought the majority of the experience was very good. My only issue was our breakfast experience. The breakfast consisted of sausage, eggs, Grits packets, a few pieces of fruit, cereal, “breads,” and yogurts. There was supposed to be a waffle station but it was “out” (at 7:05 AM). I was disappointed there was no oatmeal option in addition to the lack of waffles. The lady serving breakfast seemed ready to go, offering as a response to a BW guest (who said “good morning! How are you?”) that she was “tired” in front of the entire room. This sentiment was stated a few more times during our meal. I would likely have given the BW 5/5 if not for our breakfast experience. As previously stated, keeping in mind this is a Best Western with a good rate I thought it was a very nice stay.
I've never had anything but positive experiences at Best Western properties, and this one was no exception. It's squeaky clean, modern, and the staff is friendly, warm and professional. It was our first time in Montgomery and James at the front desk made us feel special! I would recommend this hotel whole-heartedly. ( I especially liked the exercise mats in the Fitness Center and the yummy cookies in the evening.) We've stayed in a lot of inns and this is our favorite. Keep up the great work.
Customer service is excellent every time I arrive. James is always here with a friendly smile and a handshake. Breakfast time waffles is always a plus. Good work on the new renovation. It feels like a brand new hotel!!
James was especially helpful in solving the problem of a leaking refridgerator which had been inadvertently turned down. He also provided information about local eateries and where to find the on-site laundry facilities.
We stayed here one night and loved it. Located away from other businesses so feels like an island. Front desk service was great at finding the lowest rate for us. Room was great, beds comfortable, WIFI easy to access and rock solid. Breakfast was a feast and well stocked. All the staff were nice and friendly. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
We arrived late. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little small but clean. Did not like the location...got woken up in the early hours from the parking lot of the hotel next door (boom boom music). Will not stay here again.
I initially booked this trip solely based on price & location. My best friend & her husband were renewing their vows & I was needing somewhere to stay while visiting from Atlanta. The hotel was newly renovated & the room itself was clean & well-equipped. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and the highway. But the best part about my stay was definitely the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional & very helpful. Special thanks goes to Kayla for a smooth & quick check in, the awesome cleaning crew for all their hard work & assistance, and most importantly, thanks to Kim for being so awesome at check out. Each one of these team members went out of their way to help when I needed something. They made sure my needs were taken care of & that my stay was enjoyable. I will absolutely stay here again when I come back into town :-)!
The new face of Best Western. I'll start. with check in. I came in very late and was greeted by Kim and Kris. They were both so helpful, kind, courteous and professional. They had me checked in and into my room in no time and made me feel like my business is valuable. The hotel has just gone through a brand change and a 100% overhaul. It is beautiful. The lobby is bright and colorful but very tasteful and modern not to mention spotlessly clean. When I opened the door to my room with the new high tech RFID touch card entry I was blown away. Not unlike the lobby, the room is bright and modern. Hardwood look flooring in the foyer and bathroom and beautiful carpet in shades of grey and black in the bedroom area really give it a modern and premium look. This does not look like a budget hotel. The furnishings are perfectly coordinated with a comfortable chair and ottoman, a desk and chair for working and an extra large mini fridge with a microwave. There is also plenty of storage with 3 drawers in the unit that holds the fridge and microwave, 2 night table drawers and a closet with cubbies to hold everything you need. The bathroom is split with the toilet and shower with a a door that closes and a vanity outside that area so more than one person can get ready at one time. Now to the bed. I spend most of my life in hotels either traveling for work or pleasure in some of the best hotels and resorts in the world and this bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Breakfast is included with make your own waffles, eggs, etc... I can't sing the praises of this hotel loud enough. It is a welcome addition to the Montgomery area. From now on when our employees travel to Montgomery they will be staying in this hotel. I hope the owners realize what a gem they have here and keep this hotel in the pristine condition it is in now. In the bedroom area alone there are 8 outlets for charging along with 2 usb connections on the alarm clock! There is also a 24 hour well equipped gym and a nice pool (not sure of the hours). The grab and go market could have been better stocked but that doesn't affect the 5 star rating I give this hotel. It really should fall into the Best Western Premier category. Thanks again to Kim and Kris for making my stay perfect!
I just wanna say that James has really shown me a great time at this hotel I will be coming back I have never experience such hospitality from one person and I just want to thank him for his hard work and dedication James is just the BEST!
I booked a room at a nearby hotel. When we got there, we couldn't bring ourselves to stay, so we hopped over to the Best Western. The entire staff, especially James, was incredibly attentive and friendly. The room was clean and well-appointed for the price. The provided breakfast had lots of options, including fresh fruit, which was a nice change. There is also a snack bar to purchase drinks and snacks, which is, in my opinion, a big step up over a vending machine. I need to give an extra special shout out to James. He was an incredible host, and my primary reason for actually writing a review. The man is awesome!
I was very pleasantly surprised with how clean and nice this hotel was! For the price, I was expecting everything to be pretty average, but it exceeded my expectations in every way. Staff was AWESOME, so kind and welcoming. The room was very clean. The hotel was recently renovated and still has that fresh new building smell. We stayed for 1 night for our halfway point to Florida and we will stay again for our next trip. Breakfast was nice as well.
I stay at numerous Best Westerns (my primary Hotel is possible) and this one rated on the upper end of average. The point that brings this hotel up above average is the staff. We checked in and was a little curious because no employees were around. Turns out the clerk was closing down the pool outside. He (James) was very courteous and hospitable. He took care of us smoothly. I will say that the housecleaning staff could use some retraining. The first room we were in still had a bag of hamburger buns and a case of beer sitting in the floor. James quickly moved us to another room. The rooms are damp smelling, but I have found that seems to be the norm for the area. Breakfast was on the average side for most Best Westerns. The offerings were few, but good. The rooms and decor seem almost institutional. It seems like they were shooting for a modern look, but missed the mark. Once again, the staff we interacted with was great! They were friendly and easy going. Should you stay? Sure. I would stay again.
The hotel is easy to reach and it was about 20 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go in Montgomery. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, I thought they were very large for the price-good value, The staff was, without exception, fantastic. Check in/out was smooth. Would stay there again.
The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. The staff was most helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was clean. I would recommend this hotel any time and when I am in this area I would stay there again.
My fiance and I stayed here for our second trip to Montgomery. It's within walking distance to food and shopping and that's a plus since we decided to walk to Golden Coral for dinner. I was very happy with the staff and overall cleanliness of the hotel however I was able to hear normal conversation in the room next door and footsteps from the room above - disappointing. This rating could have been much higher had it not been for the distractions of footsteps and conversation coming from another room.
Montgomery is a friendly city, very rich in civil rights history. I highly recommend staying more than one day. Our stay during the week was a good decision, because it was not crowded. We have found It's best to make reservations with a hotel by calling direct. We were able to get a ground floor unit.
Front Desk Staff - super friendly and helpful. Clean and convenient to resturaunts. We were shocked to find the hotels Direct TV network does NOT permit Fox News in their TV lineup. Only channel missing hmmmmmmmm.
We brought a group of 55 students and chaperones on our Spring Break College Road Trip and we were amazed that this newly remodeled hotel did everything right! Rooms were clean and bright, staff was extremely friendly and helpful with the changes we requested for our large group. Breakfast was well received by the students with all the differences in likes and dislikes, everybody found something to eat! We found this one of the best overnight stays of our week. Well managed facility. We'll be back!
This hotel is very clean, modern, and sleek. There is an easy check in, the breakfast is amazing, and the staff will help you in any way needed. We had a family of four, and there was only one bed. However, we were supplied with extra blankets and pillows so we were more than comfortable.
Does not deserve previous reviews. Completely remodeled, if not for some minor growing pains with new staff and some availability issues with breakfast items (cream, milk sugar) I would have given it an Excellent.
Every hotel in the area was booked until Wednesday, with the exception of this hotel. I found out why. I called to book my hotel on Friday night. The phone was answered promptly and I booked my room. When I received my confirmation email it stated, if you are not checked in by 4pm (check in is at 3pm) you risk losing your room. I was in town for work and would not make it to my hotel until about 5. On Saturday I made multiple attempts to contact the hotel to let them know my arrival would be late, but that I would be there. No one would answer the phone it would ring and ring and ring with no answer. On Sunday I attempted to call again. No answer, then a woman answered said the name of the hotel and hung up, I called again they answered and hung up, after that I was no longer able to get anyone to answer. Thankfully when I booked they did not require my CC to reserve the room. So, I called another hotel that was next door and was informed they were "sister" hotels and she would find out why they are not answering calls. Magnolia inn and suites August 25
Really dirty rooms. We entered the room and found a cigarette in the toilet. The swimming pool was closed.... but they said we could go to the "other" swimming pool across the parking lot which waa also closed and dirty (look at the Picture ). Not recommended. Thanks God, it was only for the night.
The lady taking care of the front desk at night is really nice and accommodating. We got a first room in which the sheets on one bed had stains and a used soap was still in the shower. So we asked to changed room which they did right away. The second room was slightly cleaner but the mattresses of both rooms were dead. The room smelled of mold/humidity. We were there for 2 nights and the room was not cleaned while we were there. The hallway smelled of smoked pot the 2 days we were there. When we checked out, the lady at the front desk (another one, not accommodating at all and slow as can be) could not print out our bill because she was out of paper. This hotel should be closed and renovated. Until then, go somewhere else.
All staff greeted us and our little dog with warmth and friendly conversation. Our daughter and two grandchildren live in Nashville and my wife was born and raised in Montgomery so we make it a point to stop at this well located motel each and every time with drive from Orlando Florida to Nashville and back again.
I would never recommend this La Quinta due to it being dirty, smelly, the breakfast was not presented in a pleasing manner, the staff was too busy to respond to any request due to being on their cell phones or outside smoking, tables in breakfast were dirty and should have been cleaned.
