Our hotel has joined Special Protection, a protection program dedicated to guests and staff. We will follow strict cleaning and sanitation protocols, technologies to support the interaction with the staff to promote social distancing and healthcare insurance valid throughout the stay at the hotel. The Best Western Hotel Blaise & Francis has an excellent location just 10 minutes from the Fiera Milano Exhibition Centre. We are just one and a half kilometers from Picanhas Churrascaria, two kilometers from Duomo Cathedral, Brera Gallery and La Scala Theatre and only three kilometers from Via Montenapoleone. Our hotel is characterized by a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Comfortable and spacious rooms, conference and meeting facilities are featured. We have an on-site restaurant, bar/lounge, concierge, safe deposit box at reception. Our guest rooms have cable or satellite television, mini-bar and hairdryer.
Couldn't sleep as the room was so hot and fed up with bad air. No possibility to open windows. Put the heater down without any significant effect. Evening pizza in the hotel was just disappointing. A blame for Italy. Any frozen product is better.
everything was ok, testy breakfast, good staff, they are always ready for helping you, room was very clean, with comfortable beds, clean bathroom and everything for travelers who wish to have a good rest after walking in a beautiful Milan :)
As part of a Wowcher deal, a friend and I had the good fortune of staying in the Best Western Blaine and Francis Hotel. All the staff were polite, welcoming and courteous from arrival through to departure. Check in was slick and we could leave our bags there to go off into Milan ( we had arrived early so our room was not ready). On our return our key card was ready. Our room with the requested twin beds was a really good size. A mini-bar fridge which was useful for milk for our tea / coffee. The room had a kettle. The bathroom was fine with generous towels, toiletries and hairdryer. We paid extra for breakfast ( 10 euros). It was delicious - a buffet style ... from eggs, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt - the crusty bread was so fresh and chunky apricot/ strawberry/ cheery jams were divine. Pastries & cake too. It was 5/10 minutes from the metro but if you have no actual plans then I would say a good walk into Milan but easy if you like walking and would certainly do that when I stay again. I would not hesitate to go again- so much more to see in Milan.

Dear Susie Thank you for your kind review. It will be a pleausure for us to have you still in our Hotel. See you soon, our best regards, Stefano Lucchini hotel manager
This hotel was situated near my course venue. It is not in the nicest part of Milan, with construction taking place adjacently. The building is old and the decor from the 80's. The room was ok, if just a little on the cold side for December. The bathroom was a bit colder, but water was hot. The breakfast is average with fresh Orange juice an coffee only available on request. The breakfast hall is shared with the reception and can be noisy and breezy dependent on people and main entrance being opened. All in all, the hotel is ok and staff friendly. Before i end up on the street in milan, i would book here again.
Stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a wowcher package. This hotel is quite a way out of town, but due to the excellent transport system in Milan that isn't a problem. We brought a 3 day ATM card for 12€ each and you get as many rides on buses, trams or underground metro as you like, excellent value. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were polite and helpful. We didn't bother with the hotel breakfast, instead we went in to town so we could make full days of the time we had in Milan. It's ok for a few nights but wouldn't like to think I was there for any longer simply due to the location, there is very little going on around the area with very few restaurants or bars.
The hotel didn't make a good impression. The corridors and lifts are outdated. The bathroom is old and broken in places with an irritating hot water mixer. The rooms are basic and the furniture needs some replacement. The breakfast was ok, good for Italian standards but the warm food was dry and not appetizing. The area around doesn't have many choices and it's a 10 mins walk from the station. The price was competitive.
The hotel itself is lovely, staff really accommodating and friendly. It's a bit far from anything in Milan. Gave it very good as it is very good but it's in the wrong city. Milan itself is uninspiring, might as well have been in Leeds. If you're looking for something nice in Italy, don't go to Milan, Monza is much nicer.
Stayed for 3 nights on a room only basis. The check in was quick and efficient. The room was a very good size with everything you could need. The coffee machine was a nice touch but very difficult to use. We did also have a kettle with teabags and coffee sachets, so no real prob. No milk in the room but a trip to the bar resulted in a jug of milk we could keep in the mini bar. We didn't eat in the hotel. Breakfast was in the lobby area and was €10 per person. We went round the corner to bar dori in carrefour. Really lovely people and very reasonable. Less than 5 euros for 2 coffees and croissants. It all depends on how much you want to eat but that was enough for us! They had new lifts at the hotel which were a bit sensitive. 10 people were meant to fit in but the lift decided when it was full and stopped, maybe after 7 people with bags. I am sure they will soon be recalibrated. Checkout is 12.00 which is good but we checked out earlier and were able to leave our bags in the secure luggage store. Overall very happy with our stay. If you get a metro ticket that is for more than one trip be aware...24 hours is 24 hours but 3 days is on a calendar basis, so our ticket purchased circa 17.00 on Sat did not run out at 17.00 on Tues as we expected, it ran out on Tues am because it was a 3 day pass....i.e. Sat; Sun; Mon. If you arrive late it might be best to use a single ticket to your accommodation and buy your period pass the next day. The hotel web site has good info re how to get there but could usefully explain more about the transport system so you can pick the best option.
My friend and i stayed at the Blaise and Francis Hotel for 2 nights 3rd and 4th October 2019 and we had a fabulous time. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfy and we had the best view of the mountains and the city. Breakfast was plentiful and yummy. The area looks a little run down but if you actually speak to the locals they are lovely, friendly and very accommodating. We would not hesitate to go back there and would highly recommend it. (I am very fussy and picky and it was really lovely) No English tea tho :( Bus service to the airport is easy to find and cheap 7 euros, metro stations are everywhere (altho very rarely anyone to help) and easy to navigate. The metro is a short walk away, local bars and restaurants are Chinese but once on the metro the City centre is a ten minute ride to access everything you could want if that is not your choice.. Watch out for the local alcohol measures...they are British triples!! Sue and Zoe.
We didn't pick this hotel we did a mystery holiday with wowcher. Hotel was a little out but 10 min walk to the station and a 10 min journey into the centre. Rooms were large. The bathroom could have done with updating. But overall lovely stay here.
Hotel staff are very welcoming and bend over backwards to assist you. The rooms are a good size and clean and hotel is quite quiet and the bed is comfortable also. toiletries are supplied in the rooms. Pay extra to have the breakfast it's very nice and plenty of choice it even has a fresh orange juice squeezer.Evening meals are very nice but pricey. The area is not the nicest a bit run down with not a lot to do, but it is located 5 mins walk from Lancetti metro station easy to hop on a tube 4 stops to Central Milan or get a train to Lake Como (about a hour). If you are out and about visiting its cheaper to buy a 3 or 7 day ticket that covers zones 1-3 metro (not trains) The train stations are a challenge at the beginning but ticket staff spoke English, some stations didn't appear to have staff hence the difficulties, we got the hang of it. If you are visiting Duomo buy tickets in advance the queues are horrendous if you buy on the day and its hot standing in the sun. In a nutshell great cheaper end accommodation yes we would go back to the hotel, a beautiful city and areas around the lakes have incredible beauty but eating is expensive. Enjoy!
Looks old and tired, elevator makes noise, water pressure in the bath tub makes washing a challenge, reception a little slow. Nothing really wrong with it, decent room all in all, just not that good an experience to make you come back
Not happy with this hotel. Although it appears good it is not. No phone service in rooms, no air conditioning, in rooms, lobby, elevators, and restaurant, Many complaints about service and stay. we had to share irons and ironing boards they had a schedule at 1am for the use, crazy. I had to sleep on top of my sheets because ac in room was not working so they gave me a fan it was 95 degrees outside you think a fan works???? Restaurant staff although very nice were clueless. When you asked about the choices on the menu. they did not know anything or what it was. I once waited 1:30 hrs for my meal. I would have left but there are not real restaurants in walking distance.
This hotel is located in between Garibaldi Train Station and Technical University Milan. The nearest tram line is number 2 that gives direct access to the city center. We stayed for business reasons. They upgraded our room, which was kind. Staff was very friendly. Few restorations can be recommended. In example the door of the room was not closing itself. You really needed to pull hard to lock. The safe was not functioning but as we did not need it it was not a problem to us. Breakfast was reasonable.
We have just come back from a two night stay and this hotel was great for us. For the price we paid we couldn't complain, it was easy enough to get to the metro station about 5minute walk and then a 10minute journey into the centre. We didn't use the hotel for food but the staff gave us the information if we wanted to. Staff were friendly and polite especially the guy who was cleaning the rooms - had a smile on his face every time we saw him. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy and the room was clean.
First time in Milan, for a works convention, this is a typically corporate hotel, nothing more or nothing less, hard to understand how a Best Western ld be anything more, as they claim, friendly staff, good choice at breakfast, my evening meal was "Standard" fayre, nothing more, room was large and with ample storage for my stay, bathroom a little shabby, the best feature was that the hotel was ideally situaed for our head office.
Pretty disappointing in my opinion. Was advertised as a 4 star on Hotwire but it was very basic. The fridge was dirty and there was mould in the shower. Luckily we were only there for one night but would not recommend.
The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is amazingly nice. It's very close to Alcatraz club (for those who travel for attending/working a show at that club). Breakfast buffet is complete. The restaurant staff is accurate and fast.
The staff was really helpfull and kind. Room were clean and well equiped. Breakfast was excellent just for 10 euros. The hotel is about 10 minutes from metro and tram station. The neighbourhood is not very nice but there is everything you need - small shop, restaurants and fast foods.
Stayed here this month. The room was lovely, comfortable and spacious with great views over the city rooftops. The staff couldn't do enough for me even preparing a light lunch for myself and two colleagues (when they don't do lunch normally). Really can't say enough for the people working here. I stay in lots of hotels for work and the level of service here is a new benchmark in quality.

My Wife and I stayed there, last weekend, 22 - 24 March 2019. The reception main staff (Jorge) tried his best. Though the room was very tidy and clean, basic but it lack warmth. The TV sat on the table and so, one cannot use the table when your partner wants to watch TV. There goes the space management. The staff in their restaurant, which also serves as a Bar & Breakfast Room were so indifferent to us. Service was poor. Whether it is their arrogance or prejudice, I don't know. They even had the gall to insult us in telling us that we cannot borrow a couple of wine glasses because we might walk away with them and they had us sign in their as their guarantee that we will return them.. What an affront!!. As it is, this is my second and last time in Italy and definitely never in a Best Western Hotel.
Lovely hotel. The staff were very attentive. Rooms all had all the amenities you would need for a few days stay. Location is a little far from city centre, but public transport and cabs readily available. I travelled with friends and we got 3 rooms on the same floor.

Very pleased with Hotel, Nothing to complain about at all. Friendly helpful Staff, Great quality of food for evening meals, Fantastic Breakfast choice. Great room with really good bed and pillows. . Overall good value for money
After raising a complaint file with both Best Western & the hotel detailing how I could not have stayed at the hotel since the hotels smell ( which the front office director referenced as “our usual smell” ) and the 2 subsequent rooms toxic aroma were in habitable made it impossible for me to stay so 45 minutes after arrival, moving rooms twice. I left. And with no senior leadership team to speak to I was requested to send an e mail. The hotel responded they could not resell the room, hence the room was not fit for occupation. And worst still, irrespective of my checking in to a best western at a higher rate 5 minutes away and subsequently staying a further 4 nights at 2 other best western hotels in nearby cities (of which I had no complaint) A total of 6 nights and as many thisabd Euros. Best western have thanked me for my loyalist by resoinding their management structure cannot impact or influence any complaints raised at hotel level. I will continue to pursue my complaint. In the meantime I highly recommend an alternative change that recognizes loyalty and a hotel that keep guest satisfaction at forefront of mind. Needless to say this will be the last of my money spent within best western portfolio.
horrible staff specially at the reception, she call herself the duty manager, actually it's the worse receptnist i had ever seen, what i believe it destroy the reputition of a four star hotel, will never stay again in any best weatern hotel just because of her
Located quite close to train station and infact 15mins by taxi to Milan central. The room size was big and with bathtub and all facilities one would expect. Taxi service is provided within 5min which is very convenient.
Joel was a fantastic hoast lovely place to stay it's right around the corner from the train in a nice quiet area. Food was great lovely spread at breakfast. Overall this hotel is great very clean would come back in a heart beat.
This Best Western hotel has horrible rooms and customer service. There were several ants and pests in the guest room when we checked in. We highly recommend staying at another Best Western and avoid this hotel.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we had imagined a review to try to damage us. Unfortunately we are forced to provide an explanation about his stay and his discontent that I must find absolutely unmotivated and unfair. The ants he noticed in the room, were provoked by his food scattered throughout the room, we are sorry but are attracted equally with this heat and even if we do careful and periodic disinfection. We want to remind you that in Italy there is a law accommodated that obliges any person who sleeps at the hotel, to register with a valid ID. This law is an obligation not imposed by us but by law enforcement authorities. Despite several times communicated this obligation has tried to evade our control system, denying the evidence, despite the guest in his company has "escaped" from the outside door. We have ascertained with absolute certainty that she was not circumvented and that as a hotel policy a supplement for the extra guest who refused to pay up to the last one, I myself talked with her, meeting them economically despite the fact that she was the behavior he has adopted. In spite of this notable discount applied to try to better finish the stay for both parties, he threatened us with the review that he promptly made. We are a working team that loves its work of hospitality and that can not absolutely undergo certain threats before the law or our internal policies, very clear and visible on all the portals. We kindly invite you to choose another hotel, it is not a welcome guest. I also want to clarify that the Italian law (art.109) is not circumvented in any other Italian hotel, even with the negative threats of review. Thank you anyway for choosing us and we extend our best regards. Stefano Lucchini General Manager
Good 4 star hotel and ran very well, as you'd expect from a Best Western. You get a lot of hotel for your money, but the location reflects the price. In a very run down area of outer Milan. 15 minute walk to the metro. The beds are comfy and there was good daily cleaning in the rooms. Air con OK. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide variety of items. Car parking in the garage is expensive at €10 a day. Overall, a very good hotel in a not so good area of Milan.
Anna at reception put me down for breakfast when I told here clearly DO NOT. When I checked out, they expected payment. Disorganized. The lock on my room door was inadequate, it took 5 or 6 card swipes to get in.
Perfect location just a few steps from underground M2, perfect restaurant, excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. Resume: best hotel for business traveling or for tourism. Classical 4 stars hotel.

This is an excellent hotel. The room we had was really very nice and spacious and best of all, was spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Most especially Sandro at reception who made sure all our comforts were catered for. If ever we go back to Milan, this is surely the place to stay for us.
Beautiful hotel not far from the city center Beautiful sight on all over Milan. Very nice room with all comforts, clean and well equipped. Excellent breakfast and service, people at reception very kind Great
Really polite staff - reception was always very lovely and helpful. The food at the restaurant was great, I'd recommend it! I received the best customer service from Joel, the bar keeper. He was very friendly, made gorgeous cocktails and very professional. He is a true asset to the hotel!

Dear Elyza, I'm very proud of my staff, thank you very much for your review. Best regards Stefano Lucchini General Manager
We found the reception staff who checked us out to be the rudest staff we have ever dealt with! They did not even attempt to say sorry after listening to our complaints and her actual words were ‘whatever' after listening to us! The only bright side was Joel the bar tender - love him! To the two blonde girls who checked us out - we will never be coming back and will be emailing your manager

Dear Guest, We are very sorry for your complaint about our Staff, Our receptionists are often praised for their efficiency and courtesy and this is the first bad review. Anyway for us are important all reviews. Please let me know the reason of mistake with our staff at check out time, in order to proceed with disciplinary action . Best regards, Stefano Lucchini Hotel Manager
The hotel is okay. The staff is always cooperative. During our stay we found out that Joel, the barkeeper, has got a good feeling for making real good cocktails. Thank you very much - we enjoyed the time at your bar. You made a great job :)
Lovely breakfast in the morning, helpful staff, clean hotel with fantastic service. wifi was great, location was fine with tram/ bus stop and metro in close range (walking distance) only downfall is VAT 5euro per night per person, however it is for all hotels in the area
Stayed for a long weekend in November. Very good service for the price you pay. Location is not fantastic and amenities are average, however you aren't paying luxury prices for it either. Breakfast was average, with a fair selection but not much daily variation. Staff were wonderful, very polite and thorough. Rooms were cleaned daily and had no incident. Short walk from most public transport access, however there is a good 20 minute commute into the city or to reach more populated areas. It didn't make a difference to us while on holiday, however business travelers might need to assess their priorities. Happened to order room service on our last night and it was very good! Much better than the standard fair of the breakfast, and was a rather pleasant meal overall. Great stay at a good price, recommended for travelers.
We stayed at the hotel in the beginning of January for a business trip. The hotel is a little far away from the nearest metro, 10 to 15min walk. Otherwise it is a nice hotel to stay in, very quite and their breakfast was quite nice. The only problem is their website, I booked on the Best Western website but then when I wanted to modify it the option didn't appear. Then I called and they say they can't do any change by they own and gave me the website number, but still not possible to make any changes. At the end, I had to modify when I arrived at the hotel so I still had to pay a fee for changing the check-out date. I would not have to pay that fee if their website where working properly.
The hotel has very reasonable prices for its value, is located in walking distance to public transport stations, and close to the city center Surroundings are not particularly nice but quiet Breakfast is quite good and with many choices Staff is friendly and helpful Rooms were clean and bed fairly comfortable
We was transferred to this hotel due to a problem with ours. We wasn't overly pleased with the hotel's location and didn't really feel safe walking around especially at night and there want a lot in the area, the hotel itself was fairly clean and the food was ok. Hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the underground where you could access most parts of the city.
This hotel is realy great based on price. The breakfast is absolutely perfect, location is great too. It is near underground station and it's close to city center. We will come back soon. Only bad side is high garage fee, but ok.
This hotel is 5 minutes away to train station and 10 minutes to Garibaldi station that is linked with all subway routes. The stuff was very kindly and the room was clean. I enjoy staying there for some nights and the price was decent.
Was here on conference. Hotel food and staff was good. Really nice breakfast with lots to chose from. Endless coffee or tea. Rooms were comfy and good size. Not a luxury hotel by perfectly adequate. Free wifi . Food very reasonably priced. The area is a bit dodgy and as a woman I certainly would not have ventured out alone at night. 10 mins walk to metro so easy to get into the city.
Me and my cousin stayed here while on a sporting event for two nights. The hotel was clean and tidy from the moment you walked in. We didn't check in till late, however when we arrive we were able to leave our bags pre check in. The room was a great size and great standard. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful through out. If in Milan again, would stay here again.
excellent reception ,very clean rooms, nice breakfast, big rooms. It was a nice experience tasking into consideration the cost,it is for sure that once we will visit again Milan we will go to this Hotel.
Wonderful hotel with American amenities including air conditioning! Quaint bar with Joel, the bartender, who was a real highlight on our trip. Friendly staff attending to your every need! Would stay again!
I was staying in the Blaise and Francis (also known prev as Hotel Milton) for business and chose the hotel for proximity to my office and cost. The hotel is situated off a small side street, in a rather run down area of the city. The hotel was clean, rooms spacious, good choice for breakfast and good staff. A train station is situated a short 5minute walk across the road from the hotel, which takes you into Garibaldi station in just a few minutes (1stop). Not an ideal area to stay, and limited restaurants in surrounding area, however if you simply want a cheap base to explore Milan, this hotel could fit the bill.
This hotel is set in a depressed area far from Milan downtown and also there's no underground station close by. However, it's the best option in the area if you're visiting the business area of the neighbourhood because you're at walking distance to the office buildings. The hotel is not new but the rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. The strength of the hotel is the people, they are very customer oriented, always good mood and also with a smile in their faces to help you. You can get a room in this hotel around 80€/night so, in my experience, it's a good value for money offer.
I like it. I used my 'miles and more' miles to pay and didn't spend too much. Hotel location is near station (20min walk) and 20min to metro but neighborhood is not too nice though. Breakfast is not too fancy but is very cheap. Room was clean and big. After all I recommend it

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review about our location. We wait you again to enjoy our hotel, please contact me directly at 02/36644780. best regards, Stefano Lucchini Director
Reasonably priced, spacious rooms, large toilet, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. A bit far from the city, but close to Milano Lancetti station. Not too many places to eat closely but simple take outs are plenty. Good for business trip.
My main reason for choosing this hotel was it's convenience to public transport, locally and for access to and from the airport. It was a reasonable price, much cheaper than the very central hotels. Also in a central area, local restaurants for evening meals are also very pricey. This hotel is clean and modern, with a good sized room with every amenity you would need. I cannot understand some reviewers talking about renovation being needed! Overall, we had a very good experience here. The first night we couldn't sleep due to very noisy aircon, which couldn't be turned off, so the next morning we were given a different room, with no problems. It was facing into an internal courtyard and very quiet. However, the hotel is on a quiet street anyway, so forward facing would also be quiet. There was a good choice at breakfast, regularly replenished whatever time you turn up. I would recommend asking for an individual coffee rather than use the thermos jugs of Americano - weak and tasteless. The staff all seemed very friendly and helpful, advising about tram routes, where to get tickets and ordering taxis, which came within a minute! The restaurant prices seemed reasonable - but if the wine you order is substituted, check the price! Don't assume it will be the same as your choice. During our stay the restaurant was being used for a private function, however, I can recommend the pizza/pasta place at the end of the street. It is called Friends and has pictures of the food displayed but it seems to be mainly used by local residents. The food is very good and cheap. You can also get fish or meat with nice roasted vegetables. My massive seabass was 15 euros, much cheaper than ti would cost in my home town in the UK. Milan public transport is excellent, only 1.5 euros per journey of up to 90 minutes. Most stations seem to have disabled access, but changing lines or even getting to the platforms usually mean a lot of walking. Near the hotel are several tram routes, same tickets as for Metro, purchased from a nearby tabacchi. LIne 10 takes you near to a good shopping street. The hop-on/hop-off bus, 3 routes, gets you around most of central MIlan, pick up spot in Piazza Castello. Warning about La Scala Museum: it requires walking up many steep flights of stairs and there is no lift.
Neat and clean basic accomodation. Located in semi industrial area but was close to my office. Resturant is not open for dinner on Saturday, but there are restaurants around within walking distance. Hotel offers shuttle service to train station. Recommend a trip or two in to Milan... a must.
First time in beautiful Italy, could not have picked a better place for money. The hotel breakfast was great, so many options if we needed anything we only needed to ask, short walk to metro to the centre. Staff very helpful and the best part was the king size bed was the best sleep ever...
Did stay one night in this hotel, which was enough. For sure not the best hotel in its price category. Room is large, but desperately need renovation. The check inn was friendly and they allowed me to have a late checkout without any additional fee.
Nice hotel, little bit far from centre (3-4km), but with good connection with bus, tram or metro. Neighborhood is also nice, many mini markets, shops, kebabs, nightclubs etc. Nice breakfast. Staff was very heplful, special thanks to Jadi, you made our life much easier :)
Stayed here for the second time with my 16 year old son and can only thank the wonderful staff here for making our stay really comfortable, the rooms are large and airy, and although the weather was wet and damp, our room (52) was lovely and warm. The bed was really comfortable and we both had 3 great night's sleep. Bathroom was nicely appointed and we had a well stocked mini-bar with more than reasonable prices. I would net hesitate to stay here again, excellent value for money. The metro station is about a 10 minute walk and the trolley bus probably a 3 minute walk the other way. Area is a bit dark but we always felt safe despite not getting back to hotel till well after midnight, no real concerns for us. Well done to all at this hotel, will be back for sure.
This is not a new 5 star hotel. But it has a good price concerning the standart quality. Breakfast is rich and the staff is very helpful. Not very close to the city center but there are connections nearby. Tram, bus and s lines are close just across the road next street but only the metro is not very close
Very nice stay at the Milton Milano. Set in a area quite outside of the centre, the hotel offers comfort accommodation at acceptable price. The access to the city centre is very easy by the suburban railway from Lancetti station. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is wonderful although the restaurant is quite cold and looks like not being heated. You can make your own fresh of oranges. There is a problem with the right elevator that is very slow. Towles changed every day, sheets on 4th day.
Booked for one night. It's about 7-10 minutes away from the nearest metro. Rooms are clean, well cared for and neat. Staff members are really nice and professional. Ambience is really nice and properly suited for client needs. We arrived early and rooms were not ready but staff offered to keep our baggages free of charge in a locked room! We had a buffet breakfast (which is really cheap) and it was delicious with Italian and American dishes including fresh fruit and baked products. The only down side is that the breakfast was not included in the price paid for the stay. If you're in Milan and want a reasonably priced hotel that is very comfortable to stay in this hotel is the place to go!
Location: Out of town on suburbs. Appears to be an area locals live in. Hotel on a side street. Turkish kebab shops and small cafes on main road. Metro stop about 10-15 minute and tram about 3-5 minute. Staff: Welcoming. When we arrived said they had upgraded us free of charge. Gave us instructions to get to room (we were on floor 10) and use wi-fi. When we left the staff member on reception engaged in small conversation but apart from that no-one tried to offer any information etc on visits, sights to see. Room: Large. 2 double beds could have fitted in. Shower was over bath. Mini bar/fridge. Kettle with tea and sugar available. Room had safe box and bathroom had hair dryer. Wi-fi could be used in room. No issues with connectivity. Bed was firm to very firm. Two pillows. One soft, airy and other firm, strong. Views from room were looking over apartment blocks and diused factory or similar. Could see far and wide due to being on floor 10. Food: Only had breakfast. Meats, cheeses, fruit, cereals and cakes. All tasted reasonable. Easy to find a table at 8.30 on a Sunday morning.
Great Hotel very friendly We arrived before check in and they managed to find rooms earlier Very Clean rooms with good shower Very helpful staff Stayed for Inter Milan v Southampton match No rigid rules and kept bar open according to demand Fair way to Metro but taxi into centre about 18e
Room was spotless clean & spacious. Friendly & helpful staff before booking and after arrival. Delicious and varied breakfast. Approximately 15 minutes walk from metro station and 3 minutes walk to tram stop which will take you to centre of Milan.
Location was great. Very near the Metro and the train station. Lots of Shop around. Service was also excellent. Free flowing capsule coffee and free candy. Breakfast was good. Food was freshly cooked.
The Hotel Building is Old and not in very Good Part of Milan. We stayed here one night, the first impression of the room is more or less like a Ex-Office Block. The Room and Bathroom was clean. The hotel staff was helpful. Overall, I found it value for Money.
We stayed just one night before flying out of Italy. Room size was good and buffet breakfast was reasonable. They should restock the buffet more often as we found many items missing. Jady good service at Reception. Location is okay but not much within close walking distance.
I was at the hotel for 1 night stay and I reached the hotel post 10pm. THe hotel staff was very courteous especially Andreas & Joel from kitchen and bar respectively. Despite the kitchen was closed, andreas prepared food for us and gave us dinner! Both Andreas and Joel have been brilliant in serving us despite not been obliged to do so.
Everything was nice. 3 rooms beds were spacious, all amenities provided. I personally like the bar area which is provided by Joel who was great company and cooker Andrea who prepared food until past midnight. All in all nice experience
We have been in Italy for just over a week now. I booked 2 hotels through Hotwire and 2 without. The hotels we book with Hotwire booked us single beds twice. The hotels without Hotwire were very easy to deal with. At the Best Western Milton in Milan, they told me I had to pay an extra 30 Euro a night if I wanted to sleep in the same bed as my wife instead of a single bed. And of course their hotel was all booked up for the night and they couldn't do anything about it. Really? Their wasn't a sole in the place. I won't even get into the seedy part of town this is located. My advise would be if you don't want to get up charged for a room you have already paid for don't use Hotwire and don't come to the Best Western Milton Milan.
We booked into the Best Western Milton for one night before our flight from Linante the following morning. The hotel isn't the most attractive from the outside and neither is the area. The hotel is quite basic. However the rooms are quite big and have all you require in them. Breakfast in the morning was adequate and sorted us for our flight that day. Overall I would not book this hotel if I was to come to Milan for another stay but it was fine for an overnight stop over.
The Hotel Milton Milan is set in an outer suburb just off a main Avenue into the city centre. Has excellent transport links either Bus?? Tram??Train?? or underground ?? More or less 20-30 mins into the Centre. The Hotel itself is faultless. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Tea & Coffee facilities provided in the room. There is also a safety deposit box which is free of charge during your stay. Key code at reception. Breakfast is excellent. A wide selection of hot & cold food. Today I squeezed my own orange juice with little juicer provided. Lots of fresh fruit, cakes and patisseries all available in a very relaxed atmosphere. Good Value for money???? My only criticism is the surrounding area on either side of the hotel is not so attractive. A pile of rubble and a building site on one side and run down buildings on the other. Take a look at the pictures provided. But if your on a budget and don't want to comprise the quality then give it a go. WARNING?? A Coca Cola 6 euros Drinks in Hotel bar are very pricey ! ENJOY YOUR TRAVELS??
We were arriving late in the evening to this 4 star hotel for long Monza F1 race weekend. At arrival there were difficulties to find our room as there were 'update of IT system' ongoing. Two gentleman were working with PC. Finally after long waiting, testing wrong room and waking up wrong customer...our room was found manually. We spend also some extra days after Monza F1 race and were suprised to hear that 'AC broke down' on Monday just day after Monza F1 when most of other customers left. I understand that during hot summer holiday period without business customers it is economical to save cost if hotel is not fully booked - but the heat in room was infernal and after complaint reception booked our room on the 'not so hot and sunny side of the building'. Next day the reception gentleman said AC was repaired and working again but we did feel no lower temperature. Inferno continued. Not convincing. Nice reception manager tried her best, but understood the situation was out of her control. Breakfast was ok. Not going to visit this hotel again. AC energy is wrong item to save costs during hot summer days.
Hotel is very comfort: room was clean and the view from 10th floor was amazing. Breakfast was good and though the hotel is a bit far from centre, public transport works fine. Hotel would be excellent, but the staff is not friendly. They dont make customer feel welcome.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my fiancé. The check in was fast and the receptionist gave us a map of Milan and circled all of the places worth visiting. She told us which trams and trains to get and was very helpful. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a mini bar in the room and a TV which had quite a few channels (all in Italian - we didn't manage to find the English ones even though they apparently had them). The room also had a bath which was lovely after all of the traveling we had been doing! Breakfast was lovely, they had a selection of pastries, sliced meats and cheeses, pizza, desserts, toast, cereal etc. The restaurant also had a bar and a small outdoor seating area which looked nice but we never went to it as we were out. There is also a nice Pizza shop around the corner from the hotel where we got a pizza to bring back to the room on one of the nights. Was cheap and tasty! There's a tram stop next to the hotel but we didn't use it as we were exploring Milan on the Sunday and the shops were closed to buy the tickets. So instead we walked to the metro/train station which is about 10 minutes down a straight road (super easy to get to). It was super easy and cheap to get to the main part of Milan. We spent a few hours around the cathedral, fountain, castle and there's a beautiful park at the back of the castle which we chilled in for a while. We also visited the football stadium which was also easy to get to on the metro. It's also easy to get to the train station on the metro which is how we came to Milan and how we left. Overall, a great 2 days in Milan, lovely hotel and would definitely stay there again. TIP - Have plenty change for the ticket machines and ladies - take something to cover knees and shoulders if going into the cathedral. Also, buy tickets for cathedral inside the museum rather than next to the cathedral as there's a much shorter line.
First trip to Milan and two nights spent at this hotel. Staff are so very friendly. The rooms are spacious but standard. The breakfast is worth a mention. Lovely spread. I found this hotel a bit expensive though compared to the rest of the hotels I stayed in over my two week trip.
Can't park my car in garage with my booking only if I pay €12/day extra?? Good location about 5 min drive to city center?? Excellent restaurant with a great buffet breakfast??Staff very polite and helpful??
The rooms are very good standard for Milan. The hotel has no other facilties apart from a restaurant which is pricey. The are many options an easy stroll away from the hotel. The location is not all that bad. We always felt safe and the people are friendly. The tram takes you straight to the duomo and is easy to use.
Very nice hotel with spacious rooms and very tasty breakfast. It would be nice though to have some gluten free options as it is 4* but still I found vegs and fruits I could eat. Polite staff and good service room. Few minutes walk to tram and from there quick connection to the city.
I really enjoyed staying at that hotel very recently. The rooms were big and breakfast very tasty (as my fiancé stated - I didn't eat). Service very nice and staff helpful and polite. Easy access to city centre by tram or by walk 25 Min what I was mostly doing.
The Best western Milton Milan is a very nice hotel, situated four stops on the metro from the centre of Milan, the hotel was very clean and smart, the room was the largest of our Italy tour, pointlessly clean, with very efficient and friendly staff.the breakfast was wonderful,it had everything a traveller could want.
Rooms were nice and clean. Air conditioning didnt work. Staff nice. Was a bit of a pain to get there and into the city everyday. Only a couple of subway stops away. We stayed only one night in transit to NYC. Was good for what we needed.
We have spent two nights in this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Spacious and clean rooms, good and english speaking service and they offer an excellent breakfast. The location of the hotel may be a bit off from the city center but the tram-stop was only a 5 minutes walk; the tramline will bring you right into the center (Duomo).
Found a special price online around 40 per night. Good hotel and comfortable, very happy that they include breakfast (very nicely stocked) and instant coffee/tea on the room. The minus is the location, the neighborhood is not the best but ok, and there is a tram and train station 5 min walk, the tram takes 20-25min ride to get to the city center, the metro is 15min walk (depending on how fast you walk, I'm a slow walker...) and that takes like 15 min to the cathedral. We stayed out one night and took a taxi from naviglio, it was around 20euro cab ride to get back to the hotel. Overall good hotel, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, remote location but connected, ok if you don't mind a bit of commute to get to the main attractions.
The hotel is clean, smart and comfortable. The breakfast is great, a wide choice including unusual items such as pizza and cake. Two downsides for me; - No gym on site. I was here for business and would have like yo exercise. There's a gym 400m down the road but at €25 per session!!! And the roads are too congested to run out on the street. - The air conditioning isn't powerful enough. When it's 25C at night even with the aircon you know it's going to be difficult to sleep.
We chose to stay here for one night as we were attending a concert (the Pentatonix) at the Alcatraz 'nightclub' 1 kilometer away. The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was 'top notch'. This is probably one of the cleaner, modern facilities near Milan center. Avoid the no drive zone, park here (16 Euro extra, or 'street park' for free) and metro into town.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Normal best western standards. Clean and comfortable. Fast room service. Wifi connection so good in the Rooms too. Plenty of choice for breakfast too, including freshly squeezed orange juice! Staff were friendly and helpful. Can't really complain about anything except that the area isn't great, but safe enough, no problem at all, even after dark. The hotel was good value for money. The metro is about 8 minutes walk from the hotel, from there you can get to Duomo. So location wise it's fine.
We were impressed from the minute we walked into the hotel! The staff was very polite and happy. Our room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast which was incredible. we had a great stay and would definitly stay there again.
Nice place ,front sea. Center of Varazze town . 20 meters from beach , Clear as colors and building. I was there with my dougrther for lunch. Little bit longer in time( to start time ) but quality top. I suggest "gamberi di santa margherita taken in free Walter Hours before near Santa Margherita sea) All very well prepared , If they will start to check all details in few years this restaurant will be one of best in class in Liguria. Regards
This hotel served us well for a short 2 night, 3 day trip to Milan for my fiance's birthday present. The neighborhood is not too bad we weren't out that late but felt safe(ish) walking around in the day. It is a good base for exploring central Milan and even Lake Como, which is beautiful. The metro station is quite a walk (20 mins or so) but the tram and subway is much nearer (5 mins walk) once you get the hang of how it works! The service in the hotel could be much better but with what we paid for a 2 night stay, couldn't really complain. The receptionists understood very little English and offered no assistance at all to help us get a good nights sleep due to our VERY noisy neighbors in the next room. After calling down and going down to reception 4 times and nothing being done to ask them to quieten down, my partner had to go and knock on himself- which he regretted after he saw what was going on in there! All in all it was a great, cheap trip and we weren't expecting much due to how little we paid for the hotel but it was fine apart from the noise incident.
don't event stay in this hotel . Me and my colleagues were in a business visit and stayed in this hotel for 3 days. We were waiting for a taxi in the lobby . my colleague kept his laptop bag in the chair in the lobby entrance and within 2 min bag with laptop with bag was stolen . And worst part hotel staff didn't cooperate with him also refused to show security camera . Thankfully My colleague passport was with him and not in the bag .. The reception staff first said they are not authorised to access the security camera of hotel lobby which was Preety much unbelievable. When in the evening we again told the reception desk that we report to police and also mention in the report about security camera . Then the staff started saying the camera is not working due to maintenance. It's pretty much evident that hotel staff are involved in this atleast ..
I'll go back to BEST WESTERN Hotel Milton Milan for the service, for the food but not for that neighborhood. The neighborhood is full of graffiti and all the guys from that area are eye rapping every woman alive, even if she is holding hands with her boyfriend/ husband. But on the bright side, the rooms are nice, clean, we had a east orientated room and our room has sunny in the morning, perfect to wake up. They bring slippers and bathrobe and they make an effort to understand English. The breakfast is indeed delicious, we had dinner and it was even more delicious, even though the kitchen only opens at 7 pm , you can say that is a bit pricey but hey you get what you pay for. The hotel has its parking, which is chargeable and there is a tourist tax you have to pay as well. We pay 44 euros for parking and tourist tax, we stays 2 nights for 2 persons. The tourist tax is 5 euro/night/ person. In the end of the day you cannot blame the hotel for its neighborhood, it wasn't the best experience but we appreciate the effort.
This is a great hotel with good links to central Milan. You are only a brief walk to the underground which will take you to all the major destinations for a reasonable price. We found most of the staff to be polite and accommodating. The rooms are a good size and include a moderately supplied mini bar. The let down for us was the meal that we booked in the restaurant. We waited for 45 mins only to find a hair in one of the meals. The waiter made no attempt to apologise and just disappeared. After a while we decided to leave and go to our room, we then received a call from the restaurant to tell us we should not have left without telling them!! In the case of an absent waiter who are you supposed to tell? We did get a refund for the meal but no further offers were made for what was a completely ruined evening. Would we visit again? The answer would have to be no.
Clean and large room with plenty of extras - tea/coffee, toiletries etc. Quiet location, not in the centre of Milan. There was a good choice for breakfast with croissants, lots of fruit, breads and sweet pastries. Reception staff helpful and spoke good English. Free wifi that had a good connection
Although the hotel looks close to the airport, it's not as you have to travel by motorway. There was no one to pick us up from the airport although description says shuttle provided and the telephone lines at the hotel were 'broken'. All taxis charge a minimum of 25 euros from the airport! When we got there we were given a room next to some sort of bell, that rings every half an hour, until 2am! Absolutely ridiculous! How can one be expected to sleep? Best to avoid this place!
This hotel is a short way from the Central Station in Milan and a bit further again from Duomo. You can get the Metro from Central for three stops to Maciachini and then the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from there. The hotel itself is a little bit tired but all the amenities you need, including very comfortable beds, are here. The breakfast is very good with a large selection available in buffet style, including freshly squeezed orange juice which you make for yourself from the pile of oranges available, using the squeezing machine. I travelled in a group of 12 and we were all very happy. Although check-in time is 3 pm, we arrived at about noon and the staff were lovely and got us all checked in to our six separate rooms. The hotel is in a residential area and it is good value for money for Milan.
The hotel has 2 distinct features, very lovely view of Milan at sunrise and sunset and is nested in a calm and green neighborhood. 12 minutes away from airport but has Gal Rate city closeby which has several restaurants and shopping.
We had a great stay in this hotel, hotel was clean and the breakfast was excellent. A little far from city center and metro station, but the price was ok. The morning view from the upper floor was wonderful.

Dear Guest, thank you very much for your kind review. We look forward to see you soon back in Milan! Warmest regards Diego Brachetti General Manager
Large and quiet room. Very nice welcome from the reception that advised us about the nearest underground station (10 minute walk). Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. However, the area is not particularly enjoyable, but the city center and Milan's interests points are really close thanks to the underground.

Excellent breakfast! Great room. Beautiful view (from the 11th floor). Good Wi-Fi. If Maciachini metro station seems too far (around 800m), try trolleybus 90 and 91 (station Viale Edoardo Jenner) to/from the metro station Zara.
Our stay here was not the best possible. The hotel is on the well known street buenos aires which has a lot of traffic and it's on top of the metro station which each time causes noise. The hotel was clean, breakfast good but all the noise made us a lot of issues
The room was big and clean, wi-fi was ok. Good breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Nice place to stay for couple of days. About 800m to metro so it takes some time to get somewhere you want. Would rather find hotel near metro.
When we get to the hotel was around 5pm and stefano greeted us at reception (by the way he is a really nice and helpful kid). The room was nice and the breakfast room even had a juice squeezer so my fresh juice was fresh not half fresh haw a lot of hotels does. I could say that in the cold buffet was missing the salami and wasn't much cheese left at 8/9 am . Except that everything was good
Nice hotel, great free breakfast, and clean room. I booked as reasonable price, but it was too far from downtown, and it takes 15min to metro. It is very good hotel if you have a car. I don't recommend for walkers.
First of all this hotel is not a 4* hotel at all.. Hotel staff is good. But there are lots of areas that require upgrades. Rooms are very basic. Internet is extremely poor, you would want to bang your head on the wall to connect to the internet and browse. Breakfast area is very congested. The orange juice squeezing machine was extremely messy all the time and very unhygienic, most of the the cutlery and plates were not properly cleaned and washed. Another poor thing is the rooms are very noisy making hard to sleep. Lift is very noisy. Rooms are very warm that you would like to turn on the aircon but the policy in this hotel is either you can use aircon or heating option only which was quite funny..aircon only in summers and heaters in winters. you can't even get fresh air with the air conditioning..which was only blowing hot air. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
We stay at BW for one night. The room is basic, without safe and cabinet (only hangers) but is clean. It's a walking distance from metro Machiachini and railway Lacetti. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the best, they have a lot of choices and also a fresh made orange juice and coffe. The position of the hotel is good for exploring the city. The value between price and quality is ok.

This hotel I use in work as it is located very good in relation to my workplace. It is a bit strange in its looks, but it is clean and rooms are ok. No gym makes the hotel less attractive for me. Ok, for a night in business but not something I would use for personla travel
The Milton Hotel is a really good option to stay in Milan. It's a few metro stations from Duomo and really convenient to visit the Fiera Roh exhibition site. Just notice that there's a 10 min. walk from the hotel to the nearest metro station (800 metres). The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are in excellent shape and also big and luminous. I would highly recommend the breakfast buffet, with a wide variety of options. I would say the hotel is worth every penny. If you decide to have lunch or dinner around the hotel, I would reccomend the pizzeria Ti Amo Pizza, in via Jenner, very close to the metro station.
Me an my boyfriend have arrived there at night, the locatio was a bit tricky to get there at first. We took a taxi from the centre that cost 15euros. In the morning we got a map and directions to the metro which was 10/15 minute walk. You can get a daily pass for 4euros and travel with no limits, which was very helpful. We had a large, very clean room which was also cleaned daily! The bathroom was nice and towels were changed on a daily basis. We loved our stay there! Staff was also friendly, I do recommend! however, during our check out we had to pay extra 50 euros for the tax that hasn't been mentioned before.
Its always impossible getting a hotel in Milan in October due to Expo but this hotel, near MXP, was great. And very reasonagle price (135€). Room was nice, modern, clean, bed was comfortable. Hotel was quiet. I never used the restaurant but the breakfast was extensive and very good. Staff was not overly-friendly but got the job done. I used the shuttle to get to MXP then took airport bus to city center. Returning in the evening, shuttle came to get me. Worked out great. Hotel exceeded my expectations; I experienced none of the issues of other reviewers.
This hotel is a nice surprise in Milano. Large rooms well equipped and attentive staff. It's a short 10 minute walk to the subway through quite streets albeit a little too quite at times...however never felt threatened. And a short 3 stops to the Duomo and downtown Milano. The rooms are fully equipped and you can ask for most things, slippers, tooth brushes, etc but no robes. Breakfast is very well stocked with the normal Italian selection plus eggs. However during Expo tends to be a free for all with many delegates jostling at the servery areas. A good Business hotel in a quite part of town. First time tourist's may choose to stay to stay closer in however prices rise accordingly. BWMM is a good reasonable priced choice.
This hotel is 3km from central station or a 1/2 mile from a metro stop. It is out of the way and in a residential neighborhood, we walked there at night but not late, not sure it would be too safe late at night. We liked the view from our room, the hotel breakfast was not bad but the place gets busy in the morning. The staff was helpful. It states they have laundry facilities however it is more like they will have someone do your laundry. If I were going to Milan again I would stay in an in area with more around it not so far away. The rooms were clean and staff helpful. Very large rooms. had a mini bar, no english language channels even when they are listed on the channel guide, the staff states they have them but cannot find them on the tv either.
I visited this hotel recently and I was really impressed. We went as a family, two adults one child. We had room 113 which had a super king size bed and a single foldable bed, but already assemble and made up. Perfect for a child aged between four - 12 ish. Lovely spacious rooms, clean, comfy bed and pillows. Complimentary toileterries (which I tend not to use anyway), mini bad which wasn't too badly priced. Tea and coffee making facilities - tea bags weren't there when we first checked in but arrived after room service attended the next day. But that isn't a complaint as ample tea bags available downstairs. Clean bathroom and lovely shower. Plenty towels and changed everyday if needed. I read a lot of reviews before I booked it, and as per usual there will be the odd review which isn't so good. But that's expected with any hotel. I was a little concerned it was too outside of town - but it wasn't. One short bus journey, bus stop is a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel and it's about five short stops to the central train station, where all of the coaches are located for the airports. From the main train station we went to Venice. About a 3 hour train journey, cost about £250 return for all of us. But worth it. Getting bus tickets is a bit of hassle. But we travelled free on the buses whilst we were there. We asked one local how to get a ticket on the first day and she said all the inspectors will be on holiday so just travel for free. Underground stations are about a 7-10 minute walk away as well. I remember one review in particular which said it was scary at night time to walk to the hotel. This is not the case. We had our 8 year old son with us, and it wasn't bad at all. Quiet at night time yes, but that's expected. Breakfast was plentiful. Can't compliment their breakfast enough. So much to choose from. Coffee machine doesn't offer a great choice of coffees but you can ask at the bar for them to make what you want. Only issue I had when we went was one morning we left the hotel room late, the room service staff came to sort out the room and due to us being in the room didn't clean it. We said we would leave the room and go downstairs whilst it was done, but she didn't seem to understand. There was a big language barrier. If I go back to Milan, I wouldn't think twice about going to stay here again. Locals are lovely. Very helpful. Underground stations are nearby. Local corner shop a minutes walk from the hotel. And a big supermarket two bus stops away. Lovely staff also.
I have been in many many hotels, and this hotel have never been near 1 star worth!! I don't know what to say else about this hotel than. It' is absolutely the worst hotel ever!! Nothing worked properly, everything was dirty.it stunk.i could go on for ever..
A very nice hotel not close to the city center though.i liked the rooms and the breakfast was so big you didnt know what ti eat!! the people working there were polite and kind and they were always looking to help you!!
The hotel is a mature building, rooms are well equipped but the ventillation is noisy. The area is outside Milano but metro station is close. You can easily access the main attractions with yellow line (M3). Usually the restaurant is not working in August because of holiday season (?) but breakfast is very-very good!
