« The Portraits on the Wall »

Cozy, clean and comfortable are the words that best describe my recent stay here. This pleasant hotel, a late 19th century edifice, is built inside a palazzo; I was told that each room is different. Upon arrival, I discovered that the safe in my room wasn't working so I requested and was moved to another room. This one featured a wall safe just like the ones I've seen in the movies. What fun! Every time I used it, I felt like I was in a film myself. Hotel staff are attentive; there was only one time that I had to make a second request for an item. The breakfast buffet is substantial with many hot and cold choices including fresh fruit ? I especially enjoyed the kiwis. Also, since it's on the 6th floor, there's a lovely view while you're having breakfast. There are many shops and restaurants in the area with an entrance to the metro stop Lima just steps from the hotel's front door. A pharmacy is also close by; the person who waited on me there spoke English so my transaction was easy. The 1st floor of the hotel has a terrace (see photo); it's an inviting spot to relax. Hotel guests are also able to go to the rooftop terrace on the 8th floor for a view overlooking Milan. I didn't get a chance to do this, but that gives me a good reason for a repeat visit. Finally, I saw some portraits in the lobby that intrigued me so I did some research when I returned home to find out who the people were. The paintings depict Girolamo Seccamani Mazzoli (the present owner's grandfather) and his wife, Countess Corinna Melegari, both of whom loved Italian classical music - especially the works of Giuseppe Verdi. In remembrance of them, all the hotel suites are named after Italian musicians or operas and include something reminiscent of the musician/opera in the rooms. I didn't stay in a suite so I looked at photos online to see if I could find some of these clues. And yes, I did see some. I love to discover places that have hidden meanings; this one has stolen my heart. I really must return soon.

    « Amazing location »

Loved where it was located because you could jump on the subway so easy and get around the city. Parked my car with them and they washed the windshield, left a thank you note and water. Amazing customer service. Lots of shops around as well as good restaurants.

    « Recommended! »

Located next to the subway "Lima", next to Corso Buenos Aires (in the centre of Milan) this hotel offers a very good services (parking, fitness centre, bar lounge with wifi connections). I have really appreciated the courtesy of all the staff (above all the ones at the Reception). Rooms and bathroom are very well-cleaned. In the morning we have a very good breakfast. From the restaurant you can reach the roof of the hotel that offers a fantasic view of the town. Prices are in line with the location and services offered. HIghly Recommende!

    « Worth it »

It is worth staying in this Hotel. That said, location is much convenient, especially for business travelers. Rooms were very clean and staff helpful. Breakfast met our demands and would stay again if we return. Thank you all!

« reasonable hotel right in the heart of the shopping street »

Location is right on Buenos Aires shopping street with the subway entrace right in front of the hotel. Hotel is in an old nice building, quite old furnishings, could use being refreshed, but clean and comfortable. Room big enough and bathroom way beyond average. I had also a small balcony facing the street which was a nice addition. Poor soundproofing to the corridor and very noisy housekeeping ealry in the morning. Reception staff vry kind, quick and helpful. Spa is small with relatively cold water in the pool (25 deg C). Not really worth visiting. Overall i would recommend and return.

« Very cozy hotel for families in the heart of Milan's biggest shopping street. »

The hotel located a couple of meters from the Lima metro station (red line which may take you to Duomo or to Cairoli Castello). Also it is very easy to get to there by walk (about 15 min. if no rush) from Milano Centrale (Central railway station of the city). The hotel combines old historic building and modern warm design. Our triple room was nice and spacious, with very good sofa bed. We've asked quiet side, so the view was on the hotel's back yard and not on the crowded street. Not big, but very nice indoor swimming pool and 2 saunas are open from early morning up to 10 PM. The breakfast was with good variety of hot (also scrambled eggs) and cold foods, included great selection of sweeties. We've enjoyed the hotel very much.

« First time in hotel Calles »

It is almost 1 year of my visit. I was looking some hotel in Milan with pool or spa. Picked any decided to dry Calles because of good reviews and nice pictures and best location. Can say it was a challenge to find a Hotel with Wellness not so expensive price also. Maybe in Italy those kind of Hotels are more exclusive and not so easy to find or they are overpriced. If some other Europe countries wellness center in Hotel is usual. for myself it playing a important part of my choice if hotel has spa amenities even if I don't use it. Specially 4-5 stars hotels I expect full comfort for that I am paying for. Generally: Hotel I liked little bit old style for my taste but nice renessaince style building but has everything necessary Bedroom was very comfortable and spacious nicely furnished with minibar that I liked a most I ordered cheese selection and glass of wine to room Dining area was Spacious went for breakfast but old style it is normal in Italy. Hotel is quiet Wellness area was a minus- very tiny and did not invited me to use it Then it was in first floor my room was maybe on5th floor... Did not wanted to pass from reception with slippers and morning coat, did not see anyone like this walking around. I asked also how to use wellness area, should book it previously if I remember correctly. I stayed in Calles 2 nights and did not used wellness. It is okay Can reccomend the Hotel it is for demanding customer. So for business client or families

« This hotel ticks all the boxes! »

So I researched the reviews for this hotel before I booked it and can confirm that it is a perfect hotel to stay in! Firstly the location, perfectly situated on the metro line one stop "Lima" and situated on the main shopping street. Secondly the hotel, it was pristine, with very friendly, efficient staff (Lorenzo was particularly helpful). The foyer is large and tastefully furnished in a modern style so it's already very inviting on arrival. The rooms are spacious and the beds so comfortable. The sleep quality is excellent. The bathrooms have all the amenities you would expect, modern with a great shower and hand basin with bench space! There's even a little night light underneath the sink. All the staff were really helpful and friendly, what a lovely atmosphere the hotel had. The wellness centre, pool, spa area, gym, all excellent! Lorenzo at reception recommended a wonderful restaurant just at the end of the street called Alba D'Oro, delicious authentic Italian cuisine, I suggest you try it. Next door to that is a café/bakery called El Murnè which I would recommend for breakfast or lunch, wonderful coffee, fresh pieces of pizza and focaccia, etc. Another restaurant is Mamma Rosa, a bit further away but a comfortable walk. I really recommend this hotel that would suite the business or tourist traveler perfectly.

« Family Visit for Easter »

We booked a Family Suite room 231 on the second floor and for us the room was perfect, a large main bedroom with Queen size bed and a further double bed settee in the lounge area alongside a kitchenette and dining table and chairs.. Both my wife and I sneezed quite a lot in our hotel room as there was quite a lot of dust around in our suite, I think probably due to the large drape type curtains which could probably do with hoovering and cleaning more often. Rooms were cleaned daily and we always came back to fresh clean towels and a well cleaned suite. A lovely view from the hotel roof and with staff who were quite attentive and as helpful as they could be. We booked the hotel based mainly on reviews and because it had a pool and gymnasium but we didn't know that children must be accompanied by an adult when using both the swimming pool and the gymnasium ( parents with children need to be aware of this ). The kitchenette in the room would have been very helpful if we could use it but even though it comes with the room you have to pay a further charge to be allowed to use the kitchenette which was very unfortunate for us as we had paid for bed and breakfast for 5 nights and after the first breakfast the scrambled eggs were cold in their container, the beans soup were really beans in water and the whole breakfast experience for us was so extremely poor that my wife and children refused to attend breakfast again after that first morning so skipped breakfast for all the other mornings even though we had paid for them and they ate elsewhere... I tried breakfast the following morning and decided that I too would miss breakfast and eat elsewhere with my family. I guess it is about what you are accustomed to and for me the breakfast is a definite and resounding NO... I believe there were 2 lifts that were quick and convenient as well as stairs and I saw lots of areas that were ramped to enable wheelchair access throughout most of the hotel. Location wise the Hotel was amazing, opposite Burger King with Lima Metro Station literally outside the Hotel's front door enabling us to be literally anywhere in Milan in less than 15 minutes... Would I stay again is an easy YES most definitely, we loved it but we would do room only though and avoid the breakfast...

    « Mi Dispiace »

the room we received had no sound insulation from the neighboring room, which meant tha the first night the neighbor knocked on the wall because we were talking late, the second day we could hear the couple next door. When I complained at the reception, the only words were "Mi dispiace" and NOTHING CHANGED! Atop as the service did not clean the tea cups, I asked the reception to have clean one, and again "sorry come down and take them at the bar!!!" What a service for a 4 star hotel. Highly disappointed of the experience

    « Great location »

One night in Milan was spent at the Best Western Hotel Galles. It's location was excellent for a tourist. The room was absolutely fine in comforts and clean as well. I had breakfast which was included and it was satisfactory as well. The location was key!

    5
« A really nice hotel in a perfect location »

This is a really nice hotel, everything works perfect - the wifi, the pool, the saunas, the killer breakfast with a nice view over Milano, the cleaning etc. All perfect. The best part, however, is the location - in the middle of the shopping area with many nice restaurants very close. The subway is literally outside the front door. And only 10m walk from the central station. The only thing I can remark on is that the reception staff were not very friendly. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay (4 nights in March 2018).

    « Weekend break »

Impressed overall with the hotel. The location is excellent and only a ten to fifteen minute walk from the centre of Milan. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. We were given a room on the fifth floor which was quiet. The room was an average size but had everything that was needed. A comfortable bed and a good selection of pillows. The bathroom was on the small side with a shower over a bath. The bathroom was dated, but clean. Breakfast was good; a wide selection of food and drink. I would stay at this hotel again if I found myself in Milan.

    « Good hotel »

The is located in one of the best streets in Milan, just beside the Metro. The room is clean neat, mine was a little bit small. The breakfast is good. The staff are helpful. It's a good quality for money hotel.

    « Business trip »

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel it was very good hotel. Location is perfect 30 metre first station from hotel. Staff who is working in reception it was very polite. Max guy who is work in lobby bar is very very good boy and very very friendly and polite, for him is 5 stars. Next time for sure I will book same hotel I had very good time in this hotel.

    « Good service »

I arrived at 12 noon in 30 mins I was given room , the kind receptionist gave me a double room instead of single. A nice gesture. Reception staff extremely helpful for restaurant searches & reserving your choice. Everyone was smiling!

    « Wonderful Location! »

This hotel is perfect for the price as it is steps away from the Lima Metro stop (which you can take to get anywhere in the city) and located in a great part of Milan. The lobby is beautiful and features the ?American Bar?. All the staff are very friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance to come back to Milan. The restaurant was very good and features a wonderful breakfast buffet.

« Great loacation! Great room! »

We stayed for two nights and we loved the location. It's right on one of the best street for shopping in Milan. You'll find all the mainstream brand on Corso Buenos Aires. It's 2 km away from the Dome and 1 km away from Central Station. Our room (485) was very big for a family of three, with 2 beds and a nice bathroom. We loved the cleanliness. The breakfast was rather average, but with enough choices to start your day in Milan. Very helpful staff in the breakfast area. Adelina and Lucia, thank you for feeling so welcome! The staff in the reception should smile more often.

« Excellent hotel with central location! »

Excellent hotel with the central location! We stayed here just one night, but I will come here back again. I guess the hotel was recently renovated and the room very clean. I was traveling with my friend so we had a double room. There were one bigger bed and another smaller, and door between them. The room is perfect for a family with one kid. The location is one of the hotel's strengths. Very close the Central Railway Station (Milano Centrale) although, the walk from the railway station is a bit too long. If you take the metro, you have to change once. But there's a metro station just outside the hotel, so you are able to go anywhere in Milan with ease. The street Corso Buenos Aires is very noisy and heavily trafficked street, but we had no trouble on noises from the street. The breakfast was very comprehensive, and it is served on the upper floor with a spectacular view up the rooftops of Milan. Lovely. As pictures shown, there is a sauna and pool in the hotel, but we were too busy to go there. So I have to come back here someday!

    4
« Good place to stay and lovely rooftop restaurant »

We stayed here for a weekend. As the metro Lima is just outside the hotel it's super easy to get around and the metro runs super smooth. You also have shopping just outside. The glassed top floor restaurant was really good and staff was super friendly. The room was good and beds semi hard. The spa was ok, pool was pretty cold for my liking so we hanged out in the sauna instead.

    4
« Good hotel, good location »

Two night weekend conference with a free day. Nice hotel, well located within reasonable walk to city centre, although subway available if you think that the walk's too far. Bathroom fine, good towels. Shower a bit feeble. Would recommend, although changing the music in the lobby bar would suit me. Quasi rap doesn't warm my review writing skills.

    4
    « Great location »

We stayed here for 5 nights over the New Year period. our room was comfortable, but the beds weren't great and the wardrobe door wouldn't close. The bathroom is a little small but contains all the essentials required, including a washing line! We enjoyed celebrating the New Year alongside fellow guests in the rooftop restaurant. The meal and service was excellent. Breakfast offered a wide range of food to suit most people. We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be comfortable, safe, welcoming staff and a great location. The metro is literally right outside and central station only a 10 minuet walk away. The local shops, cafes and restaurants are plentiful. Fabulous city and good choice of hotel, not luxurious but very good.

    4
    « Weekend Away »

Lovely hotel and amazing friendly staff. Food in the restaurant is great and the I formation about the local wines is interesting and much appreciated. The choice at breakfast is more than you could ever hope for and will see you through to gone lunchtime. Only issue was the lack of hot water for a shower on a couple of mornings but otherwise would highly recommend.

    « Ladies in Italy »

Hotel's location is near train station. Nice hotel and nice people working there. We got a good rate with twin beds to sleep 2 in each room. We got everywhere we wanted to go using train and taxi. Comfortable and clean.

    4
« Well placed. Excellent service »

Placed at Piazza Lima, just in front of the metro, but walking to the Duomo is perfectly possible from there. The front desk service is excellent. They perform a decent wellness center with swimming pool and sauna

    4
    « Great value »

This is based north east of the Milan city centre. It is about 10 / 15 minute walk from the main railway station. The rooms are good but maybe due a refurbishment. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful especially the at the downstairs bar. The restaurant on the top floor where breakfast is served has views out down Corso Buesnos Aires. Breakfast had a huge range. It also serves dinner at night but the waiting staff seemed a bit chaotic. In the basement is a pool and fitness centre. While the pool is small it is quite nice.

    5
« Great location, great staff, great breakfast »

We arrived at Hotel Galles after the "High Speed Train" from Rome got us to Milan several hours late. Exhausted and cranky, we checked in after two horrifying hotel experiences in Rome. Here things finally took a turn for the better. A small problem in the room was quickly and professionally addressed by a young man named Kith, and the room, restaurant and bar were all wonderful. Walking distance from the Central Station and in an excellent shopping district - this hotel was a pleasant surprise.

    « Family city btrek »

What a great. experience ! Milan is an outstanding city with a pletora of attractins - art galleries , shopping centres , fine restaurants . But if the hotel where you stay is cheap or bad , the final taste is not so good. Fortunetly for me , we made a reservation for an excellent hotel and we booked an apartament (Scala ) at Best Western Plus Galles . Located on Via Corso Buenos Aires wich is a famous spot for shopping , very closed to the center ( Lima metro station ) this hotel was the best choice for us.. Good services , spacious apartament , delightful breakfast , refreshing spa center and pool ( a bit small but my children didn't commented on this - on the contrary ) . All we had to do was to enjoy the nice four days city break in Milan and surroundings. Definetly we'll come back and thank to the management!

    « Another pleasent visit »

I have stayed in this hotel previously and need to say it has not lost its charm. Perfectly located with walking distance from Duomo , with plenty of small caffees around and shops to spend money on great quality Italoan goods. Reasonable prices in top floor restaurant with attractive cusine that will satisfy any taste. I have spent every evening relaxing in sauna and steamer before hitting swimming pool and finish it with glass of prosecco in main bar on ground floor. Staff is very pleasent and smiley which is a great asset to this hotel. Breakfast have variety of hot and cold options with seection of delivious cakes that alwayes went as a treat ;) Room was in great size with very comfortable bed. I will definitely come back to this hotel for another pleasent stay.

    « Great Location »

The hotel itself was busy therefore we had to kind of hang around for a place in the morning to wait for a table to free up so we could sit and have breakfast. We booked the B&B package as we wanted to explore as opposed to staying at the hotel. The rooms were well furnished and modern interior. Cleaning was done well and maintained by daily cleanse. The size of the rooms and bathrooms was big too! The hotel itself was situation right outside a train stop which was very convenient and allows you to get around well. Also just opposite there is Kiko Milano spa bonus for the ladies!! Just a few mins walk your in a full on shopping street which restaurants and big name clothing shops. After about a 15 mins walk you reach central station which is good to go to other cities or the airport as we did. We didn't see much of the staff to notice customer service as we spent a lot of time out of hotel however the few minutes we spent checking in and out was good.

    « Classic Gem »

I chose this hotel for location and expected a Best Western to be old fashioned and a bit rubbish. But the service here was excellence. I booked a single room to save money (for fashion!) and it was more a 3/4 bed with a single wardrobe, desk, trouser press and roomy shower room. Also it had a balcony which was a really nice touch. Toiletries are generous although no body lotion. Breakfast was ok, fruit options were a bit limited but at €7 one of the cheapest breakfasts I've had. I got a voucher for a welcome drink, and chose a prosecco. And that got me a further voucher for 10% off the restaurant. leaflet in the room said if I shared photos of the hotel with their hashtag I'd get a gift so I did. Got a free mug of Milan. Nice. Booked their driver service to Malpensa airport and a Mercedes turned up. This was only €2 more than a taxi and was worth it. Location is about 20 minute walk to Duomo along a main shopping street. Staff were very pleasant. Gym was functional and roomy. Would stay again.

« Depends on the room... »

A well-maintained and very clean city hotel, but the rooms that overlook the busy Corso Buenos Aires have a big problem, as it's too noisy to have the windows open with sirens etc. in the night, but there's no air conditioning working in the winter season and the rooms can get very hot. The heat is either on or off and the unit in the room does nothing. You have to ask reception to alter the heat and only some of the staff seem to know how to do this as it took three attempts for us. There's also sound between rooms if your neighbors are being loud. The breakfast was good with a reasonable choice and very nice staff. Swimming pool is small but great if not busy. I'd stay again but only away from the main street.

    « Great Location »

Great rooms, got an upgrade and our room was massive! For 3 people but can fit 5! Awesome, great staff and friendly. Great location to be in, downstairs shops all over. They also sell swimmers if you forgot yours.

    « Perfect location »

We spent some lovely days in Milan. The hotel is perfectly located, we only used the metro a couple of times. We cuould walk to the best shopping and to almost all cultural highlights ( and there are many). The hotels has a very good restaurant and a small but nice spa area, including a small swimming pool.

    « oasis in a cold landscape »

Excellent hotel for a 3 night stay , ideal for business trip but also with all the amenities you can ask for. Centrally spot near all means of public transport and value for money . separate elevator that brings you in spa area , will absolutely stay there again

« Great location. Good value for money. »

A great location! Several steps from the subway. There are different sized rooms. Some are very spacious and other not. Very long corridors, with smaller rooms at the end , but very quiet. The spa area is a great place to warm up in winter. The breakfast is AMAZING.

« Top marks all around! »

With the chain name 'Best Western', I was expecting ho-hum average but was pleasantly surprised. Quiet and clean rooms, comfy beds, free WIFI, fresh and varied breakfast at only EURO 10.00, relaxing indoor pool and spa area, Metro stop at front door, 20-minutes by foot from the Piazza Duomo, and located on Corso Buenos Aires - a major shopping area. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I think we've found our go-to spot when in Milan.

    « Astounding Stay »

The hotel is located right at the centre and our check-in process was smooth. Internet was fast and our rooms was comfortable. they also have private car drives which can be more convenient and dependable than taxis. I would like to give credit to Vivianna, Raffael and Roberta for their help during my check-in and check-out, well done!

    « Wonderful Experience »

The hotel is located on a corner with a metro entrance (Lima station) not more than 50' from the front door. The lobby is welcoming, the staff was tremendous, fabulous, extremely accommodating, a genuine pleasure. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained during our stay. The food at the restaurant was very good (dinner twice), breakfast came with our room and it was amazing, I don't think there was a breakfast item not represented on the buffet. The location allows transit to the Duomo in about 8 minutes on the metro, Central Station by bus is two stops (5 Euros by cab), and there is an assortment of restaurants within walking distance for dinner, lunch, afternoon coffee plus there are shopping options all along the street. It is a very convenient area to stay in and the hotel is wonderful. We stayed here 5 nights, they have laundry facilities which was very convenient as we were visiting several countries on this trip.

« Wonderful hotel and very central! »

We stayed at this hotel for a hen weekend and it was amazing from the moment we got there to when we left. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location of this hotel is fabulous and within walking distance to pretty much everything. Spa facilities were really good! I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would return here myself. Thanks for a lovely time!

« Very Nice Hotel in Milan »

My wife, daughter, and I spent three nights at this hotel during a trip to Italy. Of the hotels we stayed at on our trip, this was the fanciest one. It is about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the Milano Centrale train station, which we were able to navigate with little difficulty, even with our luggage. It is also a short taxi ride from the Milano Garibaldi train station. It is just off of Corso Buenos Aires, a street lined with many major stores and restaurants. On the ground floor of the hotel it has an open airy lobby with the check in desk on the right side of the entry door. Most of the time we were there one or more concierges were available at the entry door to answer any questions we had and to arrange for wake up calls and taxis that we needed. The women who served these positions that we dealt with were polite, personable, and spoke and understood English well. Off the lobby there was also a bar which we did not visit during our stay. This hotel also has a nice fitness area in the basement which includes a small lap pool, hot tub, sauna, and exercise machines. My wife, who is a swimmer enjoyed having the opportunity to get in a swim on our trip. Our room was a quad room. We had planned to book a triple room due to the three people on our trip but found that it was actually cheaper to rent a quad room. The actual set up for our stay ended up being two rooms once you entered from the hallway. One room had a Queen size bed, a television and the bathroom while the second room had two twin beds (made by putting mattresses on what appeared to be sofas with the cushions removed), a television, and a table that could be used for sitting and eating at. The room with the Queen sized bed also had a small balcony. Both rooms and the bathroom were very nice and very clean. Neither of the rooms included an electric alarm clock. Our reservation included breakfast. We all thought that the breakfast was very nice and the best of the hotel breakfasts that we experienced on our trip to Italy. It was a buffet style breakfast that started at 7:00 am and was located in the hotel restaurant on the sixth floor of the hotel. Each morning they had scrambled and boiled eggs, fresh fruit, fruit in syrup, toast, cooked vegetables, cereal, cold and hot meats, cheese, biscuits, and yogurt. For beverages there was coffee, tea, juice, and hot chocolate. My wife and I loaded up on the breakfast and ended up just needing to eat a small meal for lunch as we were still full from breakfast. Note that off the restaurant there is a stairway that leads up to the 7th floor of the hotel where there is a rooftop terrace where you can get a nice view of the city of Milan. Within a 10 to 15 minute walk there are many reasonably priced restaurants one or two streets removed from the main street Corso Buenos Aires. The hotel is also within a 20 to 25 minute walk to both the Duomo di Milano and the Castello Sforzesco, both of which we visited. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay here again if we were to return to Milan in the future.

    « Excellent stay »

We stayed for two nights. Very comfy and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The location is excellent. Close to Corsa Buenos Aires, the high street and the Central Station. You can just walk if you like, aprox 900 m.

« Good hotel for a city break »

Friendly check in, very comfortable beds, decent sized room, good clean bathroom with a bath and separate shower, decent breakfast compared to some of the shockers in budget hotels in Italy. Right next to Lima Metro, lots of shops, bars and restaurants near by. I will go again when I return to Milan. Good price for 4 nights. Pretty quite even though near a busy road. The only negative I feel the bar was very expensive, other than that good.

« Bad customer service - otherwise nice staff, decent room and central location »

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a trip with family. The staff were very friendly and attentive, although came across as new/insecure. Rooms are pretty decent - and the hotel is clean, nice and has a lovely little pool and sauna area. I forgot an item in my room after departing and contacted the front desk: They directed me to their general e-mail with my question. After 3 weeks without a reply, I called once again. The reaction was to try again as there was no one responsible I could talk to. After an additional three weeks, I called again. Same response - try also another e-mail address. It has now been 2 months with no reply and no luck on the phone. This is completely unacceptable and unfair the to otherwise friendly staff on site (who are apparently not equipped with a mandate to deal with my query).

    « City break »

Stayed here for 4 nights. Good location circa 15 mins walk from central station. Next to Lima underground station so very convenient to get around. Pleasant public areas. The room was fine. Breakfast had a large choice and was good.

« Very nice hotel with a metro station 20 metre away »

I stayed here recently with my friend Steve, when we travelled to see the Milan Derby at the San Siro. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It is in a very good location on one of Milan's main shopping streets. The hotel itself is very clean, the rooms are big enough and the staff can't do enough for you. There is a fully stocked bar in the reception area, and a roof top terrace with bar service available by phone. The roof terrace affords great views over Milan. There is also a very nice fitness suite, consisting of a small pool with Jacuzzi, a sauna suite, steam room and lounge area, with complimentary tea and coffee. The restaurant is on the sixth floor with again some nice views. A major plus for the hotel is that Lima metro station is literally right outside the door, giving you easy access to all parts of the city. Absolutely one that I would return to.

    « Nothing Special »

A trip to Milan for my pregnant wifes birthday - Although in an ideal location I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star hotel. Check in was quick and efficient and the room was clean, however replenishing of tea bags in the room was none existent and the ?feel' of the room was not as I would expect for a 4 star. The lifts looked old and worn and the swimming pool was very narrow (and cold). Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about (fixing the toaster so you didn't have to put your bread in more than 4 times to toast might help!) Staff at the bar were polite but slow and don't expect a hot drink in the evenings as they won't serve you one! Once we had checked out (again very efficiently) we had our best service from the bar staff. Overall I wouldn't pay the €450 for two nights there again (in a ?superior' room apparently) and would more than likely try somewhere else in Milan in the future. All that being said we enjoyed Milan itself especially the visit to the Cathedral.

« Lovely staff clean rooms be aware of shower »

Reception , bar and restaurant staff were all very pleasant helpful people. However we had two issues with the room. (1) the shower was over the bath and the height of the step into the bath was very high. If a short or elderly person or somebody with mobility issues tried to get into the shower they potentially would have a problem. (2) air conditioning was switched off due to local authority decree. (understandably). However when we opened the window during the night the air conditioning unit flashed until we closed the window. Problem was resolved by reception next morning using their central control of air conditioning. So just a warning if you are not used to warm bedrooms.

    « Convenient »

The hotel is right next to an underground stop which takes around 5mins to the Duomo. It is also walkable for those who enjoy staying above ground and seeing some shops - takes around 15/20mins. I forgot to make use of the Breakfast, even though it was included in my booking - I ate in surrounding cafes and there is a grocery shop nearby too. The pool area is fab! I had this to myself while I was visiting - it also has a steam room and sauna which was lovely. The gym is small and basic but has enough to get a decent workout. Would recommend staying here if you are on a budget but looking for something comfortable and convenient.

    « Value for money »

This hotel is perfectly located right next to the metro station. I got the train very easily from Milan Malpensa airport to the hotel and used the metro system as transport throughout my stay. The hotel is located on corso Buenos Aires which has so many shops including well known brands and boutique Italian brands - this was excellent for me as I love shopping and was able to get chic one off fashion pieces from the boutiques. I loved the spa at the hotel the sauna and steam room were great as well as the pool; my only criticism was that it was a little small once there was more than six people using the facility but other than that it was perfect. I also thought the gym was a little small but it had all the equipment one would need for a city break or business trip. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. We didn't realise the room had a safe until another guest told us to look behind the picture in the room which we thought was quite quirky and clever. All staff were very polite and friendly however we did find that during telephone queries some staff had quite poor English which was a little disappointing as I imagine many guests speak English; however this didn't ever become a problem in solving any of our queries that we had. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here for a city break as it was perfectly located and excellent value for money.

« Couples getaway, 1st trip to Milan »

Great location with easy walk to train station and to the centre of old town and all the attractions or to the metro which stops right outside the front door. Comfortable hotel with very helpful, knowledgeable staff. Would stay here again!

    « Very Nice Hotel »

This hotel was chosen because we intended to arrive in Milan from Malpensa airport by train so chose one close to the Centrale station. As it happens we came by bus as it was cheaper and stopped at the station anyway. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel. Check in was simple, we were given an card key and directed to the lifts, which were very efficient by the way. Our room was good with a large comfy bed, good TV (BBC 1 & 2 for English TV). The room had a small refrigerator and a free wall safe for our valuables. Bathroom was well laid out and towels seemed to be changed every day. Breakfast was buffet style with everything you could want from hot food (bacon, eggs etc) to cereals, cold meats & cheeses and fruit. The hotel has a nice rooftop terrace which is fine for viewing the city and for a quiet drink. It also has a gym and swimming pool but we never tried them. The concierge service was excellent with some very helpful young ladies who seemed to know the answers to everything we asked them - they're great!. There is a luggage storage office which is very efficient. The location is good also for the metro system where you can get anywhere in the city for 1.5 Euros each way. A day ticket is about 4 Euros which is great value for all day touring. There are many restaurant nearby and also a nice supermarket if you fancy a bottle of wine to end your day on (ask the concierge where it is). All in all a very nice place to stay. One final tip, the window shutters do open but don't waste your time pushing or pulling them as the slide open - I did feel foolish when after trying for a while my wife showed me the way.

    « Great stay »

We stayed 4 nights here. The location is simply perfect. The underground is literally 20 steps from the door. The street it sits on is full of shops, bars, restaurants and bakeries. The breakfast in the morning was great. Plenty of options. The roof terraces were great for a view of the city. My boyfriend said the Long Island Ice Teas were amazing. Our room was large and clean. Only issue was the room was always too warm. Only a small slow fan. Too noisy with the window open so a bit of air con would have been great. I'd 100% return and recommend

    « Lovely hotel »

We decided on a city break in Milan and after looking at a lot of hotel options we opted for the Best Western Hotel Galles. We had a lovely time staying there in room 203 which looked out on to the main street. There was a small balcony which you could sit out on but quite cramped. The room was a good size and very clean. Breakfast each day was very good with a good hot and cold choice. The hotel also has a roof terrace which we used on a couple of days to sit and enjoy the lovely weather. There were four loungers as well as tables and chairs. On the ground floor there is a self serve area where there is an ice machine and ice buckets so you can fill them up and take cold drinks up to the roof terrace or your room. The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk into the centre and there is also a metro stop beside the hotel. We walked from the main train station and it was only a ten minute walk.

« Good hotel, good location »

The hotel features good location: metro station Lima is simply in front of it. If you want to walking to Duomo, it will take 30-40 min. The hotel building represents the Italian urban style of 19th century and it has a quite inner yard. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice and clean, and the breakfast in the restaurant on the 6th floor with a nice view is good. The hotel has its own underground parking garage. The garage exit is near the central entrance to the hotel, but finding the garage entry (especially in the evening) is a little bit complicated - contact the staff for instruction. The hotel offers a spa and a swimming pool also, but I did not visit them. Finally: good place for staying in Milan.

    3
« Good, but breakfast lets it down »

Bed and breakfast. Great location. Good large spotlessly clean triple room. Fantastic bathroom. Unfortunately breakfast was poor.hardly any fresh fruit, no fresh juices and cooked meats poor. Extra for omelettes etc. Coffee was not good which is disappointing for a hotel in Italy. So if food isn't important to you then this is a great hotel.

    « Fine place »

I´ve visited this hotel during my trip around Italy. It is located near at "Centrale" and subway. Nice and clear air-conditioned room, fine staff and perfect breakfast in the restaurant with nice view. Hope, I will come back again.

    « Citytryp »

Easily the worst hotel I have ever been in. The spa is excellent, the room was very average. The air conditioning was on everywhere which made me sick during my stay. Breakfast was very crowded, noisy, children running everywhere; not a good way to start the day, and there was hardly a place to sit. But the biggest complaint was that the staff was unfriendly. Even during check-in (which I did at 12o clock and still had to wait 2 hours until the room was ready), during breakfast (in which the Head over there didn't think I could afford the hotel and continuously kept asking my room number) to the cleaning lady who scolded me for turning the airco off in my room. This hotel: never again!

    « Comfortable Stay »

It was a good stay @ this hotel . We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom size was good but the shower cubical was a little too small for a comfortable shower. Metro station is right outside the hotel (Lima) , it's just 3/4 stops from Duomo. There are a few eating joints as well near the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

« Wonderful location, delightful spa area and fantastic concierge service! »

Stayed three nights with breakfast. Just walk out the door and the subway/metro was right there. Room was clean and comfortable with excellent housekeeping service. The best part was the concierge - wonderful service to find restaurants, tourist spots and even help booking train tickets. Really appreciated all the helpful service! We had a quiet inner courtyard room that looked out to small patio area. The robes provided were great for going down to the pool. The pool is small but very private. Waterfall is on a short timer but the push-button to restart was easy to access. Nice sitting area in spa with herbal tea on tap and great sauna and Turkish bath. Excellent showers in spa. There are two patio areas on the top floor that provide wonderful views of the city. The breakfast was plentiful but not four star. The kettle is in an awkward spot to use and the room could use more electrical outlets for charging stations. The hotel minibar was advertised as free but hotel charged for the water/coke upon checkout. Outside of these inconveniences the stay was enjoyable. Would stay again.

    « Great for a weekend getaway »

First impressions as I stood and waiting to check in were not great. Stood and waited and waited, I'm not a premium customer so stood in a queue with other non card holders whilst people cut in front of us - also not card holders but felt as they were going to a fashion show needed to be in front. Anyway. Where we finally checked in with WTH - very nice man and with a grumpy normally shy 3 year old managed to make her laugh! So very impressed. Room fantastic, it's a bit of a rabbit warren to find but very comfy bed, great bathroom. Very clean good lighting very nice. Pool is 5star although never did find the dressing gowns and slippers, the pool is warm with very cool cascade waterfalls and spa section. Breakfast was delicious good hot and cold selection. It's a bit muddled like the spoons are above the bread and the cereals and fruits are the other end. But very nice Wouldn't have dinner there though. Service is slow and the staff seemed rushed but it wasn't that busy. Food was nice, but a bit overpriced for what you got. Plenty of decent local restaurants with similar standard food at cheaper prices. All in all. Worth it. Very happy with our stay and would come back in a shot.

« A great home base while in Milan! »

We recently stayed for seven nights to tour Milan and other cities in Northern Italy. The hotel was an excellent home base for us, with a comfortable, always sparkling clean room, and an abundant breakfast buffet every morning. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive - they are always ready to offer directions, suggestions, and attend to guests' needs. Max in the bar/restaurant (he made my delicious Bloody Marys) and Mia in the front lobby were both particularly charming and delightful. We had dinner on two different nights in the hotel's restaurant, La Terrazza, and the food was delicious. The hotel is perfectly located with a metro stop right outside the front door, making it easy to get around Milan and to the train stations if you are venturing outside the city. Many restaurants and shops are in close walking distance. Would definitely stay here again! Loved Milan!

    « Ideal »

We stayed 3 nights here on a business related trip. My husband and I were traveling for some months and were on a short visit. The hotel was perfect for our needs. Clean, comfortable and convenient. All the Cs! Breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect- so close to the trains and a lovely shopping street. The concierge were very helpful and we were most happy with our stay. We recommend this hotel to any visitors to Milan

    « Dated rooms »

We stayed for two nights at this hotel near the end of our two week vacation in Italy just prior to taking the train to Zurich. We were upgraded to a suite after we found that the bathroom mirror in our originally assigned room was dangerous hot to the touch. We never found out what caused the issue. The free self-service laundry was nice. The front desk has to activate your key to unlock the laundry room. Laundry detergent is not provided however. We could sometimes feel the vibrations from the metro which goes directly underneath this hotel. The breakfast on the upper floors was quite good but did not have an omelet station.

    « Nice stay »

A very good and tourist friendly hotel located next to piazza lima metro station and Corso Buenos Aires which is a cozy avenue full of branded stores. We stayed in a family room which was not so big but it was nice with a big bathroom. Breakfast is served at thw roof garden and I characterize it rich and tasteful. Hotel also offers a nearby guarded parking with an extra charge per day. Personnel was friendly and serving. We enjoyed out stay there.

« Great place to stay in Milan. »

I booked this trip based on location and other peoples reviews. I wasn't sure what to think of the hotel before I arrive, but once I was there, I was very, very impressed with the hotel. The staff is amazingly friendly and the location Is close enough to some serious shopping and the Milan cathedral. The rings for larger than expected which worked out well for us. Would happily stay here again. If you stay there, make sure to go to the rooftop deck area to see a spectacular sunset

    « Lovely holiday »

This was our first city holiday. Hotel is in Lima, a lot of eating places and shops. 10-15minutes walk to Central. Public transport nearby, only a few yards from the hotel. Hotel staff were quite friendly despite the language barrier. We were booked on B&B basis though we chose to have dinner at the hotel on our first night. Food was okay, though we were disappointed by the steak which wasn't cooked properly, despite specifying that we wanted well done. Food was expensive as well. The hotel was quite clean. House keepers serviced rooms daily, changing bed linen and towels daily. Air conditioner was fabulous as the temperatures reached 32degrees. We loved the Indoor pool and relaxation room

    4
« Great location. Poor breakfast. »

This hotel is well located just above a metro stop but also within walking distance of the Duomo etc. We were happy with our rooms and enjoyed the pool/gym area. The roof terrace is worth a visit for the panoramic views of the City. In terms of food, we had an excellent lunch in the restaurant (the Milanese risotto was delicious) but we were very disappointed with the breakfast buffet. If it's not included in your room rate, don't bother. All the staff spoke faultless English and were pleasant and helpful. We would go back

    4
    « Comfortable and Convenient »

We chose the BW Plus Hotel Galles based on it's close proximity to the Milano Centrale Train Station and were not disappointed. The hotel is a few blocks from the station on Corso Buenos Aires which has many shops and some nice restaurants. You also are on top of the Metro Red line which will take you directly to all the places of interest. You can also walk to the Duomo and Castille in about 20 minutes if you choose. The room was small but comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the street. There was a small refrigerator and coffee/tea maker. There is an area on the 3rd floor where you can do ironing which was handy. The breakfast was very time and had a great selection of fruits, eggs, meats, pastries and juices. WIFI in our first room was terrible but much better in our second room. .

    « A Good Hotel. »

The room fantastic air conditioned even has an old fashion trouser press. The staff from the maids and especially the concierge who helped plan our days out with directions, fantastic plus. The food let it down a little the toaster on its way out as it took 5 turns to give the bread some colour, average.

    « Perfect hotel »

I was very impressed with this hotel for the cost.It was lovely decor, comfortable, clean and a very good location. Our room was lovely, spacious, well equipped with coffee making facilities, beds were comfortable and we were given 2 pillows! The air conditioning worked well which is always welcome when it is so hot outside.Staff were very pleasant and happy to help.I chose this hotel as I liked the idea of having outdoor space and a pool whilst we were staying. The spa/fitness facilities were good and there is both a garden and a roof top terrace with seating/sun loungers. We ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and both meals were good.We booked airport transfer as we had an early morning flight and this was arranged for us and was a very smooth service on that morning. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if visiting Milan.

    « Great City Hotel »

Excellent location if you want the main high street shops. Metro station is right outside the hotel. The concierge staff are really helpful. I arrived late at night and had problems with my aircon. They came up to sort out the problem within 5 mins. They were friendly and efficient at ordering taxis or giving you help and directions. I had a single room which i thought was really tiny, but i'm used to big asian hotels so maybe that's normal for Europe! The bathroom was clean, new and functional. The buffet breakfast i though was very good for a medium sized hotel. It had a really good range of things to choose from. I chose a room that looked onto the courtyard so it was quiet. The roof top terrace was a nice place to sit in the evening or i took my coffee from the breakfast and sat there in the cool morning before it got too hot. Overall i thought this hotel was very good value for money.

    « FANTASTIC HOTEL!! »

Spent 4 nights here recently, fantastic hotel, with great facilities. Friendly and helpful staff, fabulous location. Cannot recommend this hotel enough and if I ever return to Milan, I would happily stay here again. The rooftop terrace is a gem, panoramic views over the city whilst relaxing with a cocktail or two, watching the sunset, really adds a relaxing element to a city break!

    « Great find »

Room and bathroom spacious, beautiful decor, friendly and helpful staff. Also washing machine and dryer available for use. Lima metro out the front. Very quite with piazza on side street. Restaurant was good. Had to leave at 6.00am for tour so reception provided a breakfast bag and arranged taxi. Nothing was a problem. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

« Max the barman is a scholar and gentleman »

The hotel in Milan was superb for our purposes. We wanted to see the Milanese sights and therefore wanted to be central. This hotel is great for that. The American bar is awesome too. Whenever Max was on, we had drinks. He is a maestro of cocktails, who'll make a drink to your preference or to his own style. Definitely worth a try. In general all the staff at this hotel were great and the hotel restaurant was also good.

    « Nice hotel »

This hotel was booked as part of a car rally Europe tour so we only stayed one night. It's not entirely a pretty looking hotel. Car parking is not on site but is across the road in a car park. Check in was easy and efficient. Our room was a twin room with a small balcony overlooking the streets outside. It was a lovely view. The room was quite small with very little space to put my suitcase. You almost walk into your bed as soon as you open your hotel room door! The bathroom was a good size. The floors are all marble looking and slippery when you've come out the shower. There were robes and slippers which was a nice touch and a lovely coffee machine. I can't comment on the restaurant as we chose to eat out. We had a taxi into the centre as it was too far to walk. This took around 10 minutes and was €9. We got back to the hotel around 1145 and called for one last drink at the hotel bar. This was quite literally one last drink. The bar closes, even to residents! There was plenty of choice for breakfast but I found the hot food very bland. Scrambled eggs tasted odd and the bacon was almost inedible! I opted for croissant with cheese and ham instead. This was ok! The coffee was good! Overall, this hotel was nice, but not outstanding and I'm not sure I'd choose it again. It's not central.

    « 3 Nights Stay in June »

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Milan. The room was fabulous with all we required including a good sized bathroom and most importantly air conditioning as it was super hot during our visit in June. It is centrally located, not far from the train station and not far from the Hop On and Off buses. We loved the swimming pool and facilities within the spa in the hotel. The breakfasts were great and the hotel has great views of the city whilst you are in the restaurant.

Booked a couple of weeks before travel as had a good offer on price was definitely worth it .Close to Lima station or a 15 ~20 minute walk from Milan central we were close enough to the city but far enough away for it to be quiet .The restaurant on the top floor was good ,we had a meal there first night which was lovely ,it is also where they serve the buffet breakfast ,which was busy whatever time you got there but not packed out and we always got a table straight away. The buffet itself had a good selection and we always came away full ,didn't even need to eat the rest of the day.The room was a good size with a very comfy very large bed (could've brought that home ) and cleaned every day .Very friendly staff especially the barman ,we finished off each evening in the lobby bar and he was always happy .Very pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again

« Very comfortable and well situated in Milan »

The Hotel is well situated within 10 minutes from the center of Milan, close to shopping and outdoor markets and to underground railway and not far from Central railway. The hotel is staffed by keen and helpful desk staff who spoke a number of languages and were always ready to answer questions. Our room was well appointed with all the amenities you would care for including A/C, wifi, wall safe etc. The bed was full sized and comfortable and the room was spotless. Breakfast was included and it was served on the terrace overlooking the streets of Milan. Breakfast is buffet style with a host of varied options from cereal to eggs bacon, fruit and much much more. The maitre'd who I found to be especially helpful and put you at ease was a nice touch

    « Very good location »

It is very well situated. Just by the subway station Lima. Five stops to Il Duomo and very easy accessible from the central station with shuttle buses to the airport. The hotel itself has a very nice but small spa with a nice swimming pool. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are very nice with good bathrooms. The breakfast restaurant office a decent breakfast to a very fair price. The shopping on Corso Buenes Aires is very good.

« Great hotel central Milan »

Booked this about two months prior to visit and got a reasonable price. Ten minute walk to central Milan and the hotel has a spa and a small pool. Was really great to be able to cool off after a day sightseeing with a swim. Breakfast was in top floor restaurant. Busy and not the best of buffet breakfasts but you do have to make some allowances! Room was very clean, reasonable size. I asked for a balcony and we got a small one. Staff very pleasant, checkin and check out very smooth. Would definitely stay again and two nights just isn't enough to do the city justice. Short walk to Central station.

« Not worth the price we paid. »

Not a good value for the rate we paid: - A/C is controlled centrally by hotel staff. Our room wouldn't cool below 25 Celsius/77 Fahrenheit. After spending 1 hour walking with them to find a cooler room, they ended up splitting us up into 2 single rooms. This hotel should Not advertise A/C as an amenity. - No smoking policy is obviously not enforced as the smell was everywhere on our non-smoking floor. - 27 Euros per night for a detached parking lot. Not pleasant walking to and from there in the rain. - Very nice concierge lady but minimal knowledge of events and restaurants in the area. - For security reasons, the guest computers in the lobby are blocked from site where you need to sign in (e.g. email accounts) so be ready to look for an internet café if you need a computer. - Unisex showers in the pool/gym area with clear glass stall doors! A few positives: Good location Good size rooms and bathrooms Great breakfast

    « Always a pleasure »

Second time at this hotel and I must say it's one of best hotel experiences that I ever had! We had a very clean, spacious and modern room, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom was superb. All staff members are very friendly and professional. Wifi very good. The breakfast is very nice with great selection and a big plus for the variety of milk. The location couldn't be more perfect, Metro Lima is right opposite and the street is perfect for shopping! I will definitely stay there again!

    « City trip »

Perfect location which is only a few footsteps from the main entrance to the metro. Four stops from Lima to duomo where the fabulous cathedral is located and where the popular designer shops such as prada Gucci sit beautifully waiting for the visiting tourists. The hotel itself is clean breakfast is good and service is very attentive to clientele. The hotel accommodates a roof terrace where the views are breath taking. The hotel is located on a busy popular road named Buenos Aries. The shops are vast and in the evening bars and restaurants are spilled onto the pavements offering good food cocktails and a calm inviting ambience especially after spending a day sight seeing. The hotel is a 20 minute pleasant walk from central station where google map easily directs you too. From Malpensa airport a shuttle bus can be taken to central station for 8 euros and the journey is 40 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel for a good accessible city break to Milan.

« Comfortable and good location »

This is a comfortable and clean hotel with enough atmosphere but not enough to make it stuffy and unpleasant. The staff were fine, but then I don't particularly want people to fall over themselves with insincere friendliness. The restaurant breakfast was fine, with a good selection of food and plenty of space. The hotel is right next door to the Metro station, so if you get a Milan travel pass it couldn't be easier to get around. Walking into the centre is direct and takes about 20-25 minutes.

« Nice hotel in a good location »

I stayed at this hotel for a two night visit to Milan and was pleasantly surprised. It's got everything you want, staff were polite and friendly, the rooms were a decent sized and were well equipped. This hotel is in a great location with a hire bike stand and subway station outside. I didn't eat dinner here, only the breakfast, which was good. Although you do have to get here early as the items didn't seem to be topped up towards the end of service. Views from the top floor/roof top are amazing! The hotel has a small gym, with a few pieces of equipment and weights. They also have a sauna, steam room and relaxation room which was a nice place to relax.

« Worst accommodation and service in Milan »

I have never been so disrespected, you better not have any friends because they won't let them in and will probably humiliate you when trying to receive guests. They have a policy of not welcoming visits in the rooms, the service was poor and the breakfast was awful.

« Great location, great service! »

The location of this hotel is ideal if one wants to be close to the city centre. The wifi is free and relatively fast. Quality European style breakfast included in the room price, enough of a gym for a decent run and workout. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Weekend stop over »

A great hotel well located in the city Centre. The hotel was very comfortable and the room although a ,title smell was very functional and clean. Hotel staff from reception to the barmen were most helpful. Wifi is excellent throughout the hotel. Only negative was the breakfast; I expected better. But this did not deter from a wonderful stay. Would recommend to those wanting to stay where its central to most things.

« Great hotel fantastic location »

Stayed at this hotel during a quick visit to Milan and was pleasantly surprised. It's got everything you want, staff are lovely and polite, the rooms are well equipped and have all the right amenities. There is a gym, albeit very small but good for a run and quick workout, a nice Sauna and steam room ( which they call a Turkish bath). Didn't experience the treatments but the menu for this looked good. Lovely place to kick and relax after a long day exploring. The roof top restaurant and bar area was amazing, honestly is worth a visit, you can see all of Milan from here. The breakfast was good too. The location is brilliant, on the main road with lots of cloths shops and cafes etc. Metro station just outside and rental bikes too. Would definitely stay here again for my next visit.

« Excellent hotel, staff and location »

Just returned after a break with my family for my son's 21st. This hotel is in an ideal location close to all the shops and metro which is really easy to use to get to the top visitor attrations. Staff were friendly from the minute we arrived. The bar man in the American bar was really nice making lovely cocktails. The concierge helped us with directions to our trip to the san siro which is a must see. Lots of lovely places to visit really nice food and locals. Unlimited tickets valid for 48hours can be brought from reception and can be used on metro, tram & train and bus for £8.50€ really good value. Nice country and place to visit highly recommend

I had a good relaxed stay in this Hotel, very accommodating and reliable reception staff who knows well the area, can assist well on suggested restaurants and cafe... quick check-in / check-out... Nice and clean rooms... Serves good array of breakfast choices... Very accessible... few minutes walk to shops and Train station.

« Excellent All Round - (Still here!) »

The staff here are great, the location is great and the roof top is great! All joking aside the rooms are clean and a good size. We are in 309 and could not be better placed. We really liked this hotel all round. If we had to find fault (as people do) - my issue would be, I was not clear on the parking charges before I arrived which do feel a little high. However, that should not detract from a clean, friendly hotel in a great location.

« Perfect location, cozy hotel & great terrazzo »

This is a near perfect hotel! The location is great because it's located on a big street and also the metro station is just outside the hotel doors. Staff at the hotel were also very friendly. Breakfast and dinner was just great and combined with the roof terrace it was an amazing time. The room are also very good. Maybe not the most modern you will see but they're clean, cozy and we were lucky enough to have a little balcony looking out over the street. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

« "An old world charm" »

The hotel is 20 minutes walk from Milano Centrale, Malpensa airport is 50 mins drive away and the nearest metro station Lima (red line) is right outside the hotel. Shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs and nightlife are all within walking distance as the hotel has an excellent location for all amenities. The nearest hop on hop off stop is 5 minutes away near Stradivarius outlet. The breakfast spread is amazing and has a lot of options. The amenities are good and the staff worth mentioning. I would like to say a special thanks to Preethi who helped us with our wifi network issues and Kith who guided us in planning our shopping journey to Primark (located on the outskirts of the city). He also arranged our transport to Malpensa airport and gave us the best and economical option to reach the airport in time for our flight. Grazie Preethi and Kith :)

    « Good hotel »

The hotel is located near metro station. There are a lot of shop and restaurants in 5-10 minutes walk. The staff is friendly and always help in different request. There is even printed trains schedule in the hall. The room is cozy. However sound insulation is not good and you can heard the neighbors. Nevertheless the good balance price and quality

    « Perfect, Perfect, Perfect »

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Milan. Metro station is right outside the hotel so you can easily get to any part of Milan. The rooms are clean and fresh, couldn't have asked for anymore. We didn't leave the room until 3pm one day (after a few to many limoncello shots the night before) and on our return at 5, the room had been cleaned which was unexpected and very much appreciated! The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace with a stunning view of the city and snow topped mountains. Staff are very friendly and helpful! Fantastic!

    « Magnificent Milan »

This hotel had great ambience and very handy to the Metro and fabulous inexpensive restaurants and bars. However, we found the aircon inefficient, which made the room very stuffy but the double glazed windows kept the road noise out perfectly. Breakfast was good and all staff knowledgeable and attentive..

« very central, on the M1 metro , Lima station »

I stayed for 5 nights in a single room #236 , very comfortable with a small balcony overlooking a green central courtyard , bed very comfortable slept well from the first night, front desk very helpful booking restaurants every night, breakfast nothing to write home about but ample to start your day

« Great Hotel in a fab location »

We were three ladies in a room and the hotel was well set up for this with a sliding door to a separate room for the third bed. The facilities in the hotel and the staff were fantastic, they were very helpful and could not do enough for you. The hotel is situated next to the metro so getting anywhere was simple and convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be back! The pool and spa area were lovely an great to relax after a day out and about!

« Great location but not central »

The hotel is a 20 min walk from the Doumu. Metro is just outside the hotel. Great room although the shower booth was a bit tight. Good service and the hotel has a fantastic roof terreza with a view to the alps!

« First Stop Italy Vacation »

We stayed at Best Western Hotel Galles Milan for 4 nights from March 24th with our family of 4. It was our first stop after a 30hr transit time. The hotel arranged a private transfer for us from Malpensa Airport. We were very appreciative to be welcomed by a luxury van and very polite driver. We arrived at the hotel to be welcomed by very pleasant English speaking staff. We had a classic quadruple room on the 2nd floor. The room was huge, comprising of 2 large rooms and separate bathroom. One room with kids by sized bed and balcony and the other a very large room comprising a kitchenette, dining area, large sofa bed (with comfortable spring mattress) and another 2 seater sofa. The use of the kitchen and hire of kitchen equipment is at an extra charge of 50euro/night. We opted to eat out for dinner than pay this high fee. Breakfast was included in our rare and was extremely substantial. A good mix of hot and cold, cereals, fruit, pastries etc. Bacon was very popular and kept running out. Coffee was from automatic machines and was not the best. The room had a kettle and different tea, coffee, sugar, honey, lemon juice and powdered milk was supplied daily. The only real negative is that I requested a non-smoking room on the pre-checkin preference form. On entering our room it absolutely stunk of cigarettes. In fact the whole floor did. However, all doors that we could see had non-smoking signs on them. It wasn't until later that I remembered the pre-checkin preference form actually had check boxes to request a smoking room and it stated that smoking was only allowed on the 2nd floor. We were too tired to say anything at the time of checkin. After a day of opening windows, we actually didn't notice the smell anymore. The fact we had one of the few balconies outweighed the smell. The balcony looked out onto Piazza Lima, which proved to be perfect for sitting out on and watching the world go by. The view of apartments opposite was gorgeous. The hotel is close to all forms of transport. Good shopping is very close. The Duomo is walkable but long, but otherwise can he reached by tram. We purchased transport tickets from the hotel. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and excellent value for money compared to other more expensive Milan Hotels. All staff were great. The roof top was a nice place to go with a glass of wine or coffee. The bar supplied us with a plate of savoury pastries to go along with our wine. A very nice touch. We will definitely stay again if we return to Milan.

« You Made This Brooklyn Girl Vacation A Dream! »

I have to write this review because, I truly would like Best Western and Hotel Galles to know how PLEASED I was with the wonderful accommodations. First let me say that this was my first international trip and I was traveling alone. I am a girl from Brooklyn, New York and have never been privileged to travel internationally. I found this fantastic deal on a European vacation to both France and Italy and I decided to go for it. My first stop was France, now my accommodations in Paris was less than desirable ( I stayed at a Comfort Inn) so I was really expecting the worse in Milan honestly, I did not have my hopes up, but I was wrong! I was greeted by the most smiling faced staff, everyone dressed so well and the halls and mirrors shining like the beautiful Italian sun. As my driver dropped me off and carried my bags inside, the team expediously got my checked in to my room. Although the single room was cozy, it was superbly clean ( I am looking at you Comfort Inn Paris!) and it smelled so cozy and nice. I relaxed on the bed- soft and the pillows-OMG. Those were some of the best pillows I have slept on. Please note, I have bad back, and living in NYC is so expensive that I truly have to always budget. My back was in so much pain in Paris because of the firmness of the bed, that I had to take painkillers to assist. I propped the pillow on my back and took a much needed nap and when I woke up-- no pain. The pillow had healed me-- seriously! Please if someone knows the brand, send me a response so that I can order personally. It will work wonders for folks with back problems. Additionally, the breakfast upstairs in the restaurant was clean, sunny spacious with accommodating staff and offered a lovely spread of options. Even during one evening as I sat down for dinner and asked to order from the children's menu-- the staff on site, this wonder Senegalese women, told me that I would not be able to order from the menu (since clearly I was not 14 years old). However after much pleading, she smiled and said 'okay' and let me have my kids menu options+icecream+ prosecco. She even laughed and called me 'bambino' during my meal, as I laughed and blushed--I enjoyed her light humor in the situation. Later on that evening I ordered from the hotel bar that closed at midnight, as midnight was nearing and I was looking to order a second drink, he did not rush, he was so polite and sweet, I just wanted to hug him. Okay now for the major story- so trip advisor folks please don't judge me. So I had met a guy right next to the hotel since it was a restaurant adjacent the hotel and we had lunch together and spent the day together. Very romantic. We made plans to do lunch early the next day, so he walked me to the hotel and we said goodnight. When the sun rose the next day I was extremely tired and I don't know if I was up to the continuation of a foreign romance, so I took my hotel phone off the hook. I guess my lovely suitor showed up for our date as planned and the staff told him that I could not be contacted. The manager then came up to my room and said ' We have a gentleman downstairs wishing to see you, we know that you are traveling alone and we want to make sure you are safe'! SCORE one for Milano, I don't get a score for being kind of reckless, but I am so happy the hotel staff truly had their guest best interest at heart. Overall just fantastic, my friends always laugh because I love staying at Best Western Hotels when I back in the states, but Best Western Galles, was definitely top notch, near the metro, a massage place next door (traditional Thai massage you must try) and they lock the hotel door entry during the evening hours for maximum safety. I could not have asked for a better trip and I will be recommending this specific hotel for anyone staying in Milano, I will definitely be back!

« Nice and clean rooms, amazing view at rooftop »

This hotel is handy situated right next to Lima metro station and walking distance from central railway station. Rooms are big, nice and tidy. There is unbelievable view over the city in the rooftop terrace.

« Great location clean rooms good breakfast buffet »

Would recommend, close (5 metres from front door) to Metro station and about 10 minutes from central station. Has pool, spa and gym. Hairdryer in bathroom - all basic ammenities covered and you can mini bar options too.

« Great location, clean room but extra double bed too small for two teens »

Booked this room/suite for a family of 4 and added ages of teens (12 and 13) when booking. The suite was a fair size but the bed for the boys to share was way too small for two (and they are average sized kids, not on the larger frame) We asked for an extra trundle or bed at our charge but this was unavailable so had to have a teen in our bed. Other than that the breakfast was fantastic, service good and location great. Close to the metro and lots of shops and restaurants.

« Terrible service and smelly room »

service not friendly..door manager just glance at us during check in, not offer any help on the luggage..check in counter also not really friendly..there is no welcoming feel of this hotel.we feel like to check out as soon as possible

« Excellent place to stay close to station and nearby shops »

I would say I had no qualms about this hotel it was lovely and the staff friendly especially the manager of the restaurant we booked for 9pm and what a lovely last evening we had on our friends trip me and the girls sat and were served amazing food. The spa facilities were good as was the recepton staff . rooms were roasting though as due to city lawas cant use air con at that time but they gave us a fan at our request which definately helped so thank you. Clean place and overall enjoyable!

« Two days stay in Milan »

We booked this hotel base on TA review. Hotel is very convenient , subway right in front of hotel from here we can jump on Metro line M1 to major attractions or walk to main train station. Room is very nice and have all amenities we need, electric kettle, coffee, tea... Shower stall is a little bit small even myself an Asian guy still find it is tight to turn around. Breakfast was very good with bacon , sausage, eggs, cereal, yogurt, pastries no complain. There are 2 coffee machines I wouls recomment this hotel

    4
    « Good location - great staff »

I stayed here for four days for business and found this hotel an excellent choice. The rooms are comfortable and clean and are equipped with everything you could need. The spa area was lovely - small but beautifully maintained with subtle lighting, a lovely pool and sauna and steam room along with a lovely relaxation area. The staff were also really helpful particularly Preethi who went out of her way to help me with my travel arrangements. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and I would definately recomment this to others travelling to Milan.

« Bit dated and overpriced »

Location was good near Lima metro. For the price of the hotel it isn't that flash. 4stars but it is old and dated. Room service finishes at 1030 so if you're coming in late don't expect a meal. Breakfast wasn't bad but nothing outstanding. I have stayed in many hotels in milan and understand they are generally expensive but this is a bit much for what it is in my opinion. Also aircon didn't work. Photos make the place look better than it is. In saying that the staff were very friendly and we're able to help with everything

    5
« Perfect for weekend break! »

We stayed here for 2 nights- got a really good last minute deal - hotel was perfect for access to underground station. Staff recommended a great pizzeria around corner and vouchers for Prosecco in the American Bar were a nice touch too! Room was small but had everything we needed - safe, wifi, tv, hairdryer- on 3rd floor with balcony overlooking street - noisy at night but to be expected - not really a problem- ears plugs available at reception. Didn't use spa but it looked lovely. Breakfast was good- hot and cold food and plenty of choices- panettone was another nice touch! Staff very helpful although one waiter at breakfast rather rude and abrupt. Roof terrace good for photos. Stored our luggage for us at checkout at 12pm - good, efficient system. Will definitely return!

    « Great hotel »

Staff we're extremely helpful and location is great for shopping and nearby metro station Lima the only part I didn't like was the breakfast as the coffee cappuccino and the juice was not at all tasty they need to check some items in the.breakfast buffet

« A great base to explore the city or for work »

This is a Best Western with all the trimmings. It totally changed my view of what a Best Western is. This hotel is great for business with lots of practical perks - a business center area, bar to have a relaxing aperitivo in the evening, an ample lobby to sit and do work in, a small spa for treatments, an indoor pool and gym, a steam room/sauna area, and ample plug points in the room. When you need to unwind on a work trip, this place offers you a place to do that comfortably. It is conveniently located next to the metro so you can be at the Duomo in 10 minutes. The immediate area around the hotel has high street shops and lots of good places to eat within 10-15 minutes walk. Great value for money - I will definitely be back!

« Not small rooms not boring area! »

    « Enjoyable Stay. »

Just returned from a two night weekend stay in The Galles with a group of friends. Being regular visitors to Milan we were looking for a good quality hotel at a reasonable price and were not disappointed. This is a modern, clean and efficiently run hotel. Rooms were fresh, clean and had all the required equipment, air con, wifi, digital TV, safe, minibar & hot drinks, hair dryer. Breakfast was excellent with an large array of hot and cold options. Great leisure facilities with gym and pool. Nice American bar and reception area. Whilst its location towards the north of Corso Buenos Aires does not have the buzz and food and drink options other areas of Milan offer, it is clean and safe with enough options to get by. There are more happening areas but you have to weigh this up against the quality of hotel and budget. Also the fact that the metro is literally at the front door gives you quick and easy access to wider Milan. I was very pleased with my stay and would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

    3
« Small rooms in boring area »

The rooms are small, you can hear the neighbor very well, unfortunately for me. The room was not so tidy and the shower were so small, I almost got stuck. I don't like when they spray the rooms since i have asthma. If you are sensitive and have asthma, this is not your hotel.

« Just checked in and already disappointed »

My boyfriend and I just check into this hotel tonight, thinking we're going to get breakfast for €1 per person each morning but as it turns out it costs €5 instead... apparently you have to prebook it before checking in to get it for €1?? We could've gotten any other hotel in the area for the same room price with breakfast included... (You, beware there's a €5 city tax per person per night that is added to your room bill).

    « Excellence time »

We had an excellent time at this hotel in Milan. The whole experience was great. Very nice staff, the room was very clean, modern design, great amenities and fast free wi-fi. Breakfast included was very good!! Perfect location: easy travel to all parts of Milan. I would not hesitate to book here again.

    « Great location »

Great location next to M1 red line metro which stops at all tourist attractions. Buy a 24 or 48 hour ticket at station. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Bags can be left after checking out of flights are later in the evening. Breakfast good including coffee from machine, which is illy. Room comfortable, a little noisy from metro but clean and has all one needs. Would stay again.

« Nice Hotel, Great Location »

This is a pleasant hotel a ten-minute walk from the Central train station. Although there is a subway stop practically adjacent to the hotel, I enjoyed the walk down the Corso Buenos Aires into the center of the city. I was actually surprised that, though my room was on a lower floor overlooking the busy street, I was never troubled by noise. The American-style breakfast was ample, even for a chow-hound like me. After an exhausting day of touring, it was fun to go up on the roof with a book. The staff were unfailingly friendly and courteous.

    « Excellent Hotel »

We arrived at Hotel Galles on October 5. We were very well received, greeted by a friendly and very helpful staff. It was especially important after a very long journey. Our room was fantastic, very clean, more than enough towels with a balcony looking out on the neighborhood. Traveling around the city was very easily done from the hotel. Staff was very helpful with directions. Their restaurant suggestions were perfect. The area was filled with restaurants and shopping. A perfect place to start our holiday in Italy.

« Ideal position for sightseeing »

Arrived about midday and found that by joining Best Western loyalty club we could get an early check in. Had requested 2 rooms close together, high floor and quiet rooms and all our requests were met. Our double room was a bit small but adequate but the other room, a triple was huge. Very friendly staff who helped us with our trip to Lake Como which was wonderful. Friday night Happy hour included snacks and delicious Palma ham which we watched being sliced. The position of the hotel was perfect for the underground which was €1.50 single trip. Return tickets can be purchased from reception for €4. The swimming pool was quite small but had everything that was needed. Steam room, sauna and chromotherapy room. Always clean and plenty of towels. Breakfast was included in the price. This was quite hectic and seem to run out of everything but was quickly restocked. Usual hotel buffet type breakfast with a good selection of teas and coffees. All in all a lovely stay and if we visit Milan again, we would definitely stay at this hotel.

    « Autumn Break »

October visit to Milan. To visit the attractions and some day trips to recomended places and also hoped to see the Last Supper Painting, which we failed to get tickets. Noise from the trains late and early was cause of lost sleep. Still loved the hotel and good breakfast. Will recommend

« Excellent location, no sleeping at all! »

We want to that hotel for 2 days, I have only one good thing about this hotel that the location was great in the mean street and near the metro station. We stayed at a room that the window is viewing to the Main Street, its was noisy as hell and we couldn't sleep, its was like the cars and train are in the room all night long. The second terrible thing was that the ear condition didn't work. It was not cheap hotel at all and very bad experience .

    « Vacation »

Great hotel. Beautiful and modern, a nice end to our 3 weeks in Italy. Stayed here for 3 nights. Loved the location, we could walk everywhere and the shopping was amazing. I would stay here again for sure.

« Very nice Milan hotel close to Metro station »

My Wife and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Galles mid-October for 2 nights and found it a very pleasant stay. Check in staff were helpful and we were quickly in our room on the 1st Floor which was of a good size and decent standard. Bathroom also very nice and the shower was absolutely beautiful! Centrale Station was a simple 10 minute walk away. Breakfast on the 6th floor restaurant was of a good standard - fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon etc, all very good including the coffee. Only slight negative was there was a rumbling sound that could be heard from the close proximity of the Lima metro station which is right by the hotel. I presume this is only because we were situated on one of the lower floors, however this would not stop me staying here for a future visit and was not an issue during the night. Recommended

    « One night »

It is a very nice hotel with helpful staff. Not sure on how central to the sights are as it was a transit stop for us. Only criticism is the while staff gave us a map on check in, they did not offer to write down any sites at all.

« NEXT TO METRO - EXCELLENT FACILITIES »

Stayed 4 nights at this Hotel. We were situated on the 4th Floor - high enough to only just hear the Metro rumbling underneath. The room was an excellent size with a very large and modern bathroom. The double bed was soft and of a good size. The TV was large and the A/C was quite adequate with idiot-proof adjustments. The best thing about this hotel besides location, room size were the pool and gym facilities which included a sauna and Turkish Bath, aroma therapy room and massage facility. Breakfast very adequate with good choice of Continental and English breakfasts, pastries and fruits. Very good location to the Metro also. Thanks for a lovely stay Hotel Galles Mike and Lori

« Good location 10mins from main station »

I always have a good experience of Best Western, this was no exception. A nice modern clean room with quality bathroom with a Metro 10metres away. The only thing I didn't like were the coffee machines which were not only tepid but also have funny tasting coffee, unusual for Italy, but we asked the staff and they made something decent for us. Never understand why something as simple as coffee should be an issue but its quite a common problem in a lot of quality places. Oh the bar area is also very good.

    « Nice »

We stayed here for about 3 nights and it was the only hotel that had its breakfast room on the top floor, which made for a nice view. Concierge service was excellent, providing us with information on recommended restaurants to go to.

« Fantastically located, right in Corso Buenos aires where all the shops are! »

We visited the Best Western hotels for the first time and were so taken aback by their hospitality! The reception personnel were extremely helpful and nice. The spa area and salt room (!) was a nice touch, even though some of the facilities there (showers were broken). The breakfast was pretty basic, but the staff was super attentive. We will definitely visit the Plus -chain of hotels again!

« Good value for money »

Hotel was nice, however room slightly too small. Bed was comfortable, the spa was fantastic. The only bad thing I have to say was the price of drinks were extortionate, can of fanta was 6€!! Apart from that nice stay here.

    « Horrible service »

We stayed in this hotel in the month of July. Close to the station & the check-in was good. The room was a suite & the AC wasn't working. On informing the reception we were told that the windows are not properly closed that's why it's a problem. The Staff came to check it & finally after 2 hours realised there is a problem with the AC. We shifted to 2 rooms & the next day were back to another suite. Again there was a problem with the AC & this time the whole hotels AC wasn't working. There were 200 guests we were informed but the AC technician had left for the day & couldn't be disturbed. The whole night was terrible. What I failed to understand was how come they didn't have a backup & the attitude of these people that the technician couldn't be disturbed. 200 guests who have paid good money can have an uncomfortable night. This hotel should be the last choice in the great city of Milan.

    « Our Milan holiday »

This hotel has good amenities except our room was very small. We were also put in a smokers room and when we realised it was too late to do anything. It is central and the staff are always polite and friendly!

    « Great Hotel »

Only spent one night here, but could have spent more time. It's location was near the train station and a metro stop. The breakfast buffet was filled with all sorts of choices: eggs, meats, fruits, pastries, etc! Also, the concierge was very helpful and spoke beautiful English. The bartender even made a wonderful martini! I highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in Milan.

« Staff a bit rude, Services are excellent, Good choice of hotel in Milan »

The staff can be a bit rude and pretentious but once you get over that, the hotel is great. Good location (10 min walk from Milan Centrale), great amenities including computers, printing, spa, pool, sauna. We were able to leave our bags upon check out and return to avail of the changing rooms and toilets which was a lovely touch. Would definitely come back again and maybe get a smile out of reception!!!

    « Excellent »

Very clean hotel. Rooms are comfortable and cleaned everyday. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. The metro station Lima on the red line is just outside the hotel. The location of this hotel is excellent, in the middle of Corso Buenos Aires. Reception staff very helpful and always happy to help you. Will return to this hotel again.

    « Simply the "Best" »

Spent 3 nights here recently and we could not fault the premises. The location was ideal as it was so easily reached by metro when catching the airport bus into the city. From Linate the bus took approx. 30 mins and the metro about another 5 mins. The reception staff were most welcoming and our room was first class. There was an in room safe (at no extra charge) which was a real bonus, and tea/coffee facilities which were replenished daily. Breakfast was plentiful with the usual juices, cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast/croissants etc as well as cheeses. The hot food was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans and rice. If you wanted fried/poached/omelette you paid extra. You certainly would not go hungry. We requested and were given a room with a balcony which was lovely. We would certainly stay here again if we ever returned to Milan.

    « Back again.... »

We returned to hotel galles once more. Smaller room this time, which was surprising given we were return customers. It's funny how the smallest things can be the most annoying. When we arrived the were Tea and coffee making facilities... Little did we know that once we had used the TWO teabags that was that... I asked the maid and she told me to go to reception... Very strange... I assume you need to buy more... Breakfast is a delight, with most things available... The pool is good if not heated.. We are back in a month or so so we be asking for a bigger room next time and maybe a few more teabags.

« Good choice for city trips »

The quality does lift the price: The Galles Hotel is directly located on the Metro station red line ( main line ). You are in the heart of Milan. Attention: as the hotel is facing one of the main streets in Milan ask for a quiet room. Then it is perfect to stay here!

« Make time for the Chromotherapy room »

Very convenient for shopping, sightseeing travel as right on the doorstep of Lima station. Close to the Centrale station too. Good breakfast to start your day. Visit Joe Chipole restaurant for dinner and have the steak and Tiramisu.

« Best hotel in Milan »

Very comfortable and service is amazing. Breakfast was to die for plus easy access to everything. You won't be disappointed so 5 Star quality. The view on the top level restaurants is amazing as well. Definitely come here when in Milan.

« Great choice in Milan! »

We loved this hotel. From our checkin to checkout we had great service! We spent 2 nights here and had a standard double room. Room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed and pillows. Ensuite was well appointed also. Air conditioning was very much appreciated as the weather was hot and humid. Located 20 mins walk from Milano Centrale and with four convenient Metro entrances right outside the door we couldn't have been happier. 10 minutes and you are at Duomo. Breakfast was ok and ask for the espresso don't use the machines. Decor is probably a little dated but this hotel is great value in an expensive city.

« Central and good value »

Just back from a weekend at Hotel Galles, thought the hotel offered excellent value. The staff on the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful with good local knowledge, recommended a local restaurant which was very good. The spa was peaceful, relaxing and never busy when we visited. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The only downside was that our air conditioning was noisy, we switched it off by opening the bathroom window which did mean the room was warm but easier to sleep. Would definitely recommend and would return.

    4
    « Excellent location »

Excellent location very very close to Metro station also near bicycles where you can rent bicycles. Also it is close wide ranges of shops. The hotel has swimming pool l, gym, and spa Rooms are affordable and quite big. Disadvantage the noise from metro.

    « Don't Expect Much »

We stayed here with our two young boys. We weren't looking for much, just a clean place for a few days before we flew home. It didn't feel like a very safe area. The hotel was dark and musty. The food was pretty bad, even by Best Western standards. The hallways were always full of laundry carts. And someone on the staff came into our room one night at around 2:00 AM. I chase them out screaming. The front desk staff were really welcoming. But overall, we couldn't wait to leave.

« Great hotel to sample Milan from »

Overall: really please we stayed here Positives: - good location as just off a main shopping street but is a half hour walk to the centre - lovely staff who were very helpful and polite - very clean and well kept room - fantastic roof top area overlooking the city - there's a hop on hop off bus stop 5 minutes down the road - a 20/25 minute walk from the station - ate in the restaurant which was lovely but a little on the expensive side - the aircon works! - free wi-fi - quiet - nice, quiet and cool garden area to sit in Negatives: - not that many places to eat around the hotel - nor many bars around - hotel drink prices are very expensive - showers are baths you need to climb into so ask first

« Brilliant location, lovely clean rooms »

Stayed for long weekend at end of August as a family with 2 children under 5. The family room was set up with a super king bed and a single bed. We pushed the beds together and slept as a 4 perfectly comfortably. There were light duvets and sheets which were more than adequate in the summer heat. The bathroom was a really good size for a family, no bath but a lovely shower with a seat instead that the kids took well to. The spa and swimming area was a nice touch. Very small but was fine for the kids. No separate area for children but there were foam noodles for them to play with. Breakfast had a good selection of cooked breakfast, fruit, cereal and pastries and a good coffee machine. Service was quick and easy. The packed breakfast option was not to our taste but it may suit others. It consisted of jams, rye bread, crackers, fruit juice and fruit purée. An odd combination in my view. Hotel location was perfect. Just above the Lima underground station and on the main road for shopping and walking distance to most restaurants. Walking distance from the tour bus stop and the central station. Some reviewers commented on the sound of the underground, I only heard it in the spa which is in the basement. From Linate airport the hotel is only a 20 minute journey by taxi that cost a little under €30. Overall a really good stay in a great location.

« Superb Hotel, very Comfortable »

Couldn't ask for a better hotel for our visit in Milan. It is located in the Center for everything. There are 6 exists and entrances for the metro just 2 min from the hotel. The room was deluxe in everything thing. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was OK.The shopping stores are next to you to the left and right. If you walked straight forward you will reach Duomo after 35-45 min walking. If you can't walk just take the metro to the close stop to it. Just one advise take the rooms at the upper floors to avoid the sounds (Not so noisy) of the Metro coming and going because the hotel is located above the metro station. We were at room 125.

    5
« Clean, comfortable and just what we needed »

We booked this hotel as part of a package to Milan. It's on one of the main shopping streets although a little distance to the main attractions. However the metro is right outside the door. The rooms were clean, of a good size and provided enough TV channels in English so we could keep on top of watching the Olympics. The breakfast was extensive and of good quality, perhaps bigger cups for tea would have been good and a bit more fruit. The staff were helpful and having a gym and pool (although small) with sauna and steam room available was a great way to relax after a long day. Would think about staying again however not it in best location of tourists perhaps better for business or for tourists people who don't mind a little walk!

    « city break »

    « Good hotel »

By far this family room was the best. A/C worked great big bathroom, very roomy for my family breakfast was great and only €5. Dinner there was expensive but the food was good. The staff was friendly and nice. I would most definitely stay here again if I go to Milan.

Couldn't ask for a better hotel for our first trip to Milan. Excellent location with a 10 minute walk from central station and right next to the metro, all travelling and site seeing was made very easy. The spacious room was lovely and the spa was such a great surprise. It was very quiet and we had it all to ourselves. The staff were very helpful and helped us plan a trip to lake como. I couldn't fault them. Would throughly recommend.

    « Nice hotel... »

We spent 2 days in Milan at the BW Hotel Galles during a European Tour Trip... It is situated almost next to Corso Bueno Aires.... The check in has been swift and the staff helpful.... The room was a bit small and old-fashionably decorated but when one is tired, a comfy bed is the most welcome despite the small space... The hotel pool was a blessing after a few tiring travelling days.... Diner at the hotel's restaurant was awesome and will never be forgotten, the food served beyond expectations.... Good experience overall, wished we could stay longer....

« Great hotel in a great location. »

We had a night in a family room recently and the standard was very high. Very comfortable beds, space for a family of 4 to be together, lovely bathroom and towels. The buffet breakfast was amazing with a very wide variety of foods for all cultures. Close to shops and restaurants and we walked to the central station in about 10-15 minutes. There is also a metro station next to the hotel. The staff were very helpful with recommendations for dinner near by.

« It seems good but... »

In my bathroom the sink was broken and there was a lot of water on the floor, I had to wait more than 24 hours to be repaired. Very small swimming pool, people don`t wear cap so many hairs in the water. In my tariff the minibar was included but when I left they wanted to charge me again. Pay attention!

« Comfortable stay, convenient location »

We had a two day stopover to finish our holiday. Convenient location 10 min walk from central station and next to Lima metro. Easy to reach main tourist spots. Family Room (2 adults & teenage children) very clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet plentiful and varied, excellent restaurant meal, quite privet but delicious. All staff very helpful, happy to recommend.

    « Stunning »

This hotel was beautiful. We had a junior suite to accommodate a family of 4. It was very spacious and luxurious. It even had a small balcony. The shower room was spacious with coloured lights in the shower (optional). We used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. All were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was fresh, varied and well prepared. The breakfast room was replenished and cleaned efficiently. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good location on Buenos Aires Street next to Lima underground. Would definitely return.

« Don't think typical Best Western but think quality hotel »

Stayed in a triple, classic room for three nights. The location is excellent, on a busy shopping street and as soon as you step out the hotel doors, there is an entrance to the 'red line' on the underground train system and if you're slightly concerned about using the underground/subway/tube in a foreign country as I was....there is no need to be here as it is easy to understand, clean, efficient and simple to get round on. The hotel room was more like a quality hotel room than the usual Best Western type of chain hotel. Very nicely decorated with a very comfy mattress on the bed. Large TV screen on the wall with numerous international channels, a mini-bar/fridge and a kettle with complimentary tea/coffee. The only downside was the size of the in-room safe. Big enough for passports/documents and even for a Canon DSLR camera but not nearly big enough for an average sized, 13" laptop computer. The air-conditioning worked but not all that well, however I have to emphasize that I am a bit of a cold temperature freak, so perhaps others will find it perfectly within norms. The bathroom was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The hotel also features a small indoor swimming pool, a gym/fitness room and laundry machines/dryers for guests to use if they don't want to use the formal laundry service. Not many hotels of this standard have that available. A big plus point for families who have been travelling around for some time. I did not eat dinner in the hotel but did have breakfast. Lots of cereals, ham, fruit juice, coffee machines, a few types of bread/rolls as well as patisseries, bacon, scrambled egg and sausages. A fair variety and it was tasty. On the subject of eating........there are several touristy restaurants within a block of the hotel, but we actually saw them heating pre-cooked food in one of these places. A far better bet is a restaurant just two blocks away called Pizzeria Sabatini at Via Boscovich 54. Looks a bit up-market from the outside and almost as if it might be expensive but it's not. The prices are no more than the tourist places and the service is excellent, the venue lovely and a huge menu with genuinely, fresh made cuisine (you can see into the kitchen area and observe the chef cooking your oder!). Not just pizza and pasta but also mains of fish and meat and some lovely desserts. We went two nights in a row whilst staying at the Best Western Galles. Overall, the Best Western Plus Galles appeared to be a good cut above any other Best Western I've been in before. It really does feel as if you are in a quality, 4 star hotel; and in fact, that's exactly what it is. I would not hesitate to return.

    5
« Fantastic staff and amazing service »

Went there in August with a friend, could not have had a better experience. Polite staff who were ready to answer any questions that we had. Very clean and well maintained hotel Well worth the money. It is also next to an amazing shopping street. On the other hand the shopping experience in Milan wasn't as pleasant. Would recommend the hotel to anyone intending to visit Milan.

    « Ticks most boxes »

If it's your first time to Milan and you're nervous of navigating your way around the city, or you have a family to organise and travel around with, this hotel is perfect. Placed on one of the main streets that are full of shops and which leads directly to all the key areas if you are on foot, or the underground entrance is outside the door, and incredibly easy to use. Front desk staff are very helpful; hotel is clean, cool and well designed, with a small pool and spa which we found a great relief after a day sight-seeing in the heat. We had two children with us and got two double rooms inter-linked, which was perfect. I would highly recommend an afternoon mooching around the Brera area. All the little streets next to the Pinacoteca di Brera are a delight; plus an evening stroll along the canals in Navigli with supper along side the water shouldn't be missed. Why not a 5 rating? The noise of the underground. Definitely request a high floor room facing inward if you want to avoid the street noise and the noise of the underground. Luckily, we were on the 5th floor facing the courtyard and could hear very, very mild rumbling, but lower down it is no doubt much noisier.

« Great Location at a good Price »

Don't let the "Best Western" name fool you. This is a real hotel, not upscale, but very comfortable and at a reasonable price. An excellent breakfast layout for all tastes. It is located right by a metro stop, so easy access to the rest of the city, and only a few stops from the Duomo. I'd definitely go back.

the hotel is clean.rooms are big and bathroom is also big compared to other hotels in italy.its is far from the main square and shopping center, but if you like to walk, you need an hour on foot.we reached the hotel at 10 am.normally rooms are not ready.we left our luggage in the hotel and went out.they said rooms would be ready at 2pm.we came back at 4 pm and rooms were not ready.one of my friends became upset, becuase she wanted to take a shower.they said the hotel was fully booked, and they didnt finish cleaning.above all this is not our problem to wait in the lobby waiting for our rooms

Although it was a little different than what we expected when we booked this hotel, it was nonetheless is good experience for a family of 3 and the staff are very friendly and helpful. « Very good hotel in central Milano »

A very good choice to stay in central Milano. The rooms are big enough, location quite central, only three stops with the metro to Duomo. Friendly staff. One minus: Being in Italy you expect a real breakfast including good bread and Italian coffee. And some delivious juice? The breakfast here was quite ordinary, nothing more :-( The pool and spa in the basement is great!!

    « Location location location! »

Prior to visiting I couldn't have appreciated the close proximity to the metro station and what a blessing that would be. Stops on the metro are much closer than they are on the London Underground so you really aren't far from anything. Perfect location! Some background noise from the metro but nothing too distracting and the last tube is at 12:30. The hotel has a large lobby and attentive receptionists so despite being a busy hotel, service was efficient. Rooms were a good size and with all amenities you would need. Tea and coffee was replaced daily too. Breakfast was a busy affair(!) but staff need commending on their hardwork to replace empty food stations and clear tables. Hot and cold selection with self serve drinks. Don't order espressos from the hotel though - small, cold and bitter. They're cheap enough and much better out in the city!

This was a delightful break from the hostels I had been staying in prior to coming to Milan, and is excellent value for money.

    « Ok hotel »

Visited from UK. Stayed 5 nights July 16. Hotel good location next to metro station. Although the vibrations from trains passing underneath can be heard til after midnight. Our rooms were on the first floor so quite loud at times. Rooms on the small side, bed quite close to room door could hear other guest talking (not quietly) along corridor through the night. Free wifi good. Rooms had aircon. Free tea and coffee although not refilled everyday. Room clean enough, but visible dust on the shelf above bed. One free bottle of water in room on arrival none there after. Small mini bar fridge. Gym and pool area all good. Breakfast was chaotic! Too many people to little space. Staff unsure of what was going on. No cutlery and plates readily availvale on more that one day. Food selection was good. Sun terrace on roof good. We ordered a drink at the restraunt to take to the roof but this incurs a service charge of 5.50euro. American Bar on ground floor good. Staff there friendly, prices ok. Other staff friendly enough. Is billed as a 4 star hotel, but have stayed in better 4stars. Tourist tax was 5 euro per person per night. On last night there was a black out which left a lot of people locked out of there rooms for over an hour.

    « Excellent stay »

I strongly recommend this hotel, in first place for its location, which is at walking distance from the Central Station but long enough so as to feel you aren't in a railway environment. Very convenient also because it's the main shopping area with stores such as H&M, Zara, Benetton, etc. Regarding its services, the hotel offers a very complete breakfast in a pleasant area at the top of the building with good views; it also has a nice and very comforting spa area with indoor pool, which we visited after a long walking day. The room was very tidy and with good bed, a small balcony, coffee/tea maker, minifridge, trouser press, very good in general.

    « Excellent City Hotel »

We stayed here for two nights in July 2016 and the hotel was excellent. The hotel itself is located in one of the main shopping districts, right by the Lima Metro station, and thus has excellent and quick links to all the main areas of the city. The Duma is around a 10 minute metro ride away. Additionally the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main bus station in Milan. If you are travelling on a bus from Bergamo Airport to Milan, this is where you will be dropped off at. The room was spacious, with a very large bathroom that included a bidet and large shower. The beds were comfy, and the 'pillow menu' that allowed you to request different types of pillows from the reception free of charge is great for those that are picky with their type of pillow. The air con had an automatic setting that kept it at a cool room temperature throughout the dat, we found this to be the perfect temperature although you could change the temperature if you wanted. The room also came with an ironing board, kettle, mini bar and safe. Our room offered an excellent view on to the main road. You were able to open the large window and stand on the mini balcony, a nice rarity as we find windows on high floors in hotels usually only allow you to open them to vent. The breakfast is incredible at €4. It includes a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast items, such as egg, sausage, bacon, beans, toast, pastries, fruit, yogurt, ham and cheeses, spreads and hot drinks and fruit juices. It really is incredible value and I'd recommend all guests pay for it. The gym was nice, reasonably equipped with plenty of weights and a few machines. It was clean and is open 24 hours a day. The hotel also has turkish baths, a sauna, himalayan salt room, and small but nice pool. We were surprised that a city hotel would have all these facilities. The staff were polite and helpful. Many of the reviews mention how you can hear the rumble of the metro line. Whilst this is true, it really is a faint sound that wouldn't wake even the lightest sleepers, and the metro line stops running at midnight anyway. It is a bit ludicrous how people book hotels in the centre of major cities and complain about noise like that, but if this is a big problem then I would suggest requesting a room on one of the higher floors. Additionally although our room overlooked the busy main road, the windows soundproofed this completely. Overall this was an amazing hotel, and if we visit Milan again we will definitely be back.

    5
    « Very good 1 night stay »

Stayed only 1 night. Very satisfied with the service provided to us on our short stay. Courier service and punctual taxi service. Hotel's location excellent as just above LIMA metro station. Also just in the middle of Corso Buenos Aires and very close to Stazione Centrale. Breakfast very good too. Will definitely be back when back in Milan.

The staff were extremely helpful we were disappointed that as we had booked on line we were told it would not add to our Best Western Nights they said we should have rung them direct. Disappointed with pool quite small as picture does not reflect the size.

« Perfect for stopover or a few days in Milan »

We were two adults and 1 teenager in our room. One double and one single bed. Once again I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the three hotels we stayed at in Italy. Breakfast was included but doesn't open until 7 am. Which is late when you have tours to attend. They do supply a take away box, but it contained all processed packaged foods. No fresh muffins or fruit, which needs to be addressed. The subway is a few steps out the door. We booked two coach tours while in Milan. Both were easily accessed by the subway to the Tourist Info Office in about 8 minutes. There were some noisy children in the room next to us running up and down the hall late in the evening.

« Perfect location, good hotel »

I went here with a friend for our trip to Milano. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the best shopping street (in our opinion). They have affordable brands. If you walk further you are close to the Dom and the expensive shops. The metro is also just across the hotel. The hotel itself has a nice spa. It's a great way to relax after a day shopping. Breakfast is also well. The staff is very nice and the rooms are clean and big enough. We had some problems with the shower and the sink, but when we told them they replaced it right away. You can hear the subway in the hotel, it didn't bother us so much. It's also a very crowded area so noise is normal here. If we go back to Milano we certainly would book this hotel again!

« Great location and seevice »

Came well recommended by TripAdvisor - we agree! Excellent service - efficient and friendly at all times. Location is perfect with restaurants and Metro very close. Just a 10 minute walk to Central Station and trains out of Milan. Only drawback - so called 'early breakfast' was a coffee machine (very good!), fruit juice and a biscuit. Great recommendation and choice!

    « Good choice »

Good choice for location if traveling by train (short taxi ride) and Metro access except that subway travels under the hotel so noise and vibrations every few minutes until about midnight. Only stayed one night so was unable to look into everything else hotel has to offer but it looked extensive.

« Nice and in great location »

I liked the service. Hotel is also clean.. It's the best I tried in Italy. The metro is exactly near the door so going to Doumo is not issue. The location in middle of shopping streets, amazing !! The only point is water mixtures in the bathroom need maintenance

« Good location, average rooms. »

Stayed in a twin room which was functional but quite small. Slightly strange as we had duvets with sheets (not duvet covers!) so felt a bit unclean. Could hear the metro until about 12:30 at night and also right next to a busy main road so could hear cars and sirens. Breakfast was average, would have preferred to pay a bit extra and go to a separate cafe. Pool, sauna and steam room were a nice addition but only used once during our 4 night stay. Location was good, right next to metro stop and easy to get to sights such as duomo. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

    « great hotel »

A great hotel right next to the train station, which was perfect for our itinerary. (Note that Milan centre and the sights are a decent walk or a few Metro stops away, but easy to get to). Modern, clean rooms and furnishings, excellent Wifi (free), comfortable bed. Couldn't ask for much more. We belatedly decided to extend our stay by a night and they were able to accommodate us, which was very helpful. Staff were in fact very polite and helpful. Special mention for the bar who prepared some excellent cocktails

« Excellent Choice Near Milan Central Train Station and Linate Airport »

We passed through Milan at the very end of our 2 week family trip to Europe and needed a hotel that provide easy access to Linate airport early in the morning. The BW Plus Hotel Galles fit the bill and more. It's a 3-4 block local bus ride (Bus 60, across the street in front of the train station heading east--it comes frequently) or 15 minute walk on a nice day from the train station and a 15 minute taxi ride to Linate airport. Beyond that, however, the hotel was surprisingly pleasant and nicely adorned for a big city urban setting. It sits right off the square at Piazza Lima at the intersection of Corso Buenos Aires which turns out to be one of the main shopping streets in Milan (not necessarily a feature we cared about in our situation). The hotel is very nicely kept up--impressive lobby and plentiful, friendly staff--and our room was spacious and superbly functional. We stayed in 'family' sized rooms (2 adults, 2 kids) throughout our trip and this was one of the largest and nicest rooms we had. There were two separate bedrooms, a nice sized bathroom with clean and modern shower stall, and small kitchenette with a fridge (that wasn't turned on, strangely), and a sitting table near the kitchenette. Ample closet space if you need it and large flat screen tv's in both rooms if you like that kinda thing. The only negative was the indoor pool was very small--our 10 year old who loves to swim actually declined to get in. So instead we had a few hours to kill before dinner (check out the Norrin Cafe Bistro in this area--check out my review) so we ventured down Corso Buenos Aires and waited for the hop on, hop off tour bus to come by and pick us up for a 90 minute tour of the city. What a great idea! Stop #8 was a 10 minute walk from the hotel--well worth it if you want to see a few sights before deciding which ones to explore in greater detail. The kids loved it. We arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 5:00 am the next morning with the help of the hotel front desk and that went off without a hitch. It was a bit pricey despite the short drive--66 Euros including a 10% upcharge for using a credit card. I think I could have found a cheaper shuttle online but since it was last minute I decided not to overthink it and just get the job done. In any case, we loved our short time in Milan and hope to return sometime in the not-too-distant future. If we do so we will surely consider the BW Plus Hotel Galles!

« Start of family trip »

We absolutely loved this hotel. Friendly people, fantastic breakfast and lovely rooms. The only problem we had is that we specially booked 2 luxury rooms for us, but only got one large room of 20m2 and the other one small. We had to pay for two big rooms because they insisted the tiny room was also luxury. Maybe only because they had gowns in the room! The rest was lovely! Right in the shopping district with nice restaurants close

« Great location and rooms »

I stayed at the Best Western Galles hotel for two nights with my family and it suited our needs perfectly. Located only a few metro stops from the main sites with the metro station exiting onto the square the location is perfect, close enough to the sites without being too busy. Our room was comfortable with two separate bedrooms and basic clean facilities. The décor and furniture was a little dated but perfectly fine. The leisure facilities were nice and clean though the pool is a little small when things get busy. There was plenty of choice at breakfast though it was always busy with a bit of pushing and shoving to get what you wanted!!. The only minor niggle is the very small and slow lifts meaning you need to be patient when waiting to get up and down the floors especially with luggage. Overall this hotel did the job and I would certainly return next time I come to Milan!

    « Better then expected »

Currently staying here checked in for 8 nights it's so much better then I expected. The staff are very friendly the rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant is really nice. The breakfast buffet could use more variety (no baked beans) the pool and spa area is really relaxing. The tv in the rooms can use more English channels as most are Italian not a single English movie channel. No complaints about the appearance of the hotel or customer service.

« Noisy hotel with a poor cooked breakfast »

This visit was just an overnight stay in Milan in order to catch a flight back home from Malpensa and for this the hotel was fine but we would not have wanted to stay longer. Although we were on the fourth floor the incessant rumble of th underground metro trains was annoying. This must have been worse for guests on lower floors. The good point of the hotel is the rooftop terrace on the eighth floor. This gives panoramic views over Milan and the opportunity for city centre sunbathing in peace. In the morning we took the included buffet breakfast. The selection of cold food looked very good but the cooked breakfast was poor. The scrambled egg was ok but the bacon and sausage was tasteless and the fried potato, which is normally my favourite, was horrible. There were no cooked tomatoes or mushrooms.

« Great location, comfortable stay »

We've just finished a great 5 days vacation in Milan at Best Western Plus Galles hotel. Very good hotel, convenient location, very near to everything and most importantly very near to a metro station or I'd better say that the metro station is right in front of the hotel (see the pictures attached to this feedback). A supermarket is at 10 minutes walk from the hotel and it is open until 21:00. Just ask at the reception. The room was large, spotless clean and had a mini-bar, air conditioned, a very comfortable king size bed. Our room (220) had a balcony which was really a plus. The big plus for the hotel was the very rich breakfast: lots of options for all tastes and a very good Italian Espresso. The clerks at the reception were extremely patient and took their time to explain and to provide us the good directions and transportation options. A small MINUS: for a 4 stars hotel they should offer slippers and bathrobe in the room by default not by charging the client with 5 EUR. During our stay in Milan we went on a 1 day trip to Como lake on this itinerary starting at 07:00 in the morning: Milan N. Cadorna -> Como Nord Lago (by train) -> Bellagio (by bus C30) -> Varena (by boat) -> Milan (by train at 20:43). Wonderful !!! I would definitely recommend Milan and this hotel as a destination for vacation to everyone and it will be my first choice for any future trip to Milan.

« Great place to stay »

Just returned from our trip to Milan. Stayed here for a week. Great central location with metro stop right outside with links to the centre. Nice swimming pool with sauna and fitness suite. Ample choice at the breakfast buffet. Clean rooms and all the facilities that you need for a comfortable stay. Air conditioning was not great but the staff supplied us with a fan which helped. Special thanks to Deborah on reception who really was helpful when our transfers never turned up and made some calls for us to get it sorted. Would recommend this hotel

« Chronic overbooking, old dated room, and poor service. Cut and paste, take no responsibility management responses. »

We were booked into this hotel through a Delta Vacations package and the hotel was packaged with our flight. The arrangements were made in January--5 months before our trip--and we arrived mid-afternoon on the day of our reservation, right at check-in time. Since we were traveling with our adult son, we had booked a double room and a single room. Well, they claimed we only booked a double and that they had nothing else for us--they were totally booked! I showed them the reservation document from our payment in April that clearly stated one double room and one single room, but then they repeated that they had no rooms and that we could contact our travel agent. Ridiculous, obviously we could not since it was midnight at our home. We waited in the lobby and about 1/2 hour later they came up with a "triple room" for us. A tiny double with a side room (no door) all sharing one small bathroom. After that they just ignored us. This room was old and dated (it looked nothing like the rooms on the website). It was on the first floor looking onto the street (noise all night long). The worst was the subway that rumbled below the room periodically while we were trying to sleep. The next day I woke up early (6:30) and asked about the free early risers coffee and light breakfast. It was shown on our itinerary to be available from 4AM-9AM. I could not find the "breakfast". Out of frustration I asked at the desk, only to be told it was around the corner. Well, what was around the corner was a VENDING MACHINE and, I was told, that it "closed" at 7. Do NOT book this hotel as part of any package. You will be treated with distain and given the leftovers--at best.

    « Fantastic hotel »

Really great hotel, 10 minute walk to central train station, metro just outside the door of the hotel, plenty of places to eat and drink. Hotel staff were very happy to help, and very polite. Our room was a little hot for us so they provided us with a fan free of charge. The hotel has a swimming pool and jacuzzi and also a spa. Our room was a little noisy with the windows open and because we were one the first floor you could here the trains running underground. We had a great week and would recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Comfortable stay »

Usual stay in Milan business trip. Great position just on top of the red line underground (but sometimes you can hear the trains on lower floors), comfortable rooms, personnel helpful and kind. Small swimming pool, sauna and gym. Good morning breakfast in the beautiful "terrazza" on the rooftop. In several years I was never disappointed.

    4
    « Great location »

Centrally located with the convenience of the Metro at your doorstep (although the rumble can definitely be heard in your room). Neat, clean rooms. Good spread for breakfast. Didn't get to use any facilities as we stayed only one night. Nice bar area downstairs.

    « Two Sisters »

We loved it! Fabulous helpful staff, great location (right on metro station) but very quiet and has a guest laundry. They also had in room tea making facilities, unusual in Italy but very welcome. The only tiny negatives for us (being very picky here) were tiny bathroom and no room safe (which is fairly standard in Italy). Would highly recommend.

« A really good base for a visit to Milan »

The hotel is situated right by an entrance to Lima Metro station so even if it's raining you can get to the station in just a few steps. The hotel reception staff are very helpful and make checking in a pleasant experience. Both the rooms we had were clean and tidy and showing no wear and tear. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. There is a large TV in all rooms. We had a room rate that included breakfast. This takes the form of an enormous buffet which has something for everyone. The leisure facilities are in the basement and include a gym, steam room, sauna and pool. The pool has a waterfall at one end that you can start at will, a refreshing experience after a long day of site seeing. There are some interesting showers, each with a different way of delivering water in the leisure complex, along with nice toiletries. All these facilities are free. The American bar in reception is very welcoming and is generous with drink sizes. Also a plate of snacks appear with the drinks in the early evening. Prices are reasonable given the size of the drinks. The hotel also has a restaurant on the top floor offering views over Milan. This is also where breakfast is served. The food is excellent and more of a fine dining experience which is reflected in the price- we had a three course meal with soft drinks and beer for 225 euros. It was the best meal of the holiday. Service is friendly and at just the right pace for a dinner. Above the restaurant is a sun deck where you can relax and enjoy fine views over the city. The hotel is situated on avenue buenos Aires one of Milan's main shopping streets. I would definitely return there

« Great location and staff »

A great location and a welcoming staff. Unlike the US, Best Westerns in Europe are more upscale. This restaurant has a bar, a restaurant and an open air seating area were they will bring you drinks. The staff is very accommodating and the concierge recommended two great nearby restaurants. The hotel is located in a very upscale area and right next to the subway for easy access to all attractions and other areas

« Comfortable hotel in good location »

Hotel was located beside Lima underground train station. 24hour rail ticket at Eu 4.50 made it easy to travel around Milan. Parking a car at Eu 27 per night was expensive but worth it. Easy hotel to access by car. Breakfast with a view on the sixth floor was as expected with good range of food. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was comfortable but not large ,bathroom was good. Shopping outside hotel in via beunos aires was quite convenient also. All in all quite a good value hotel.

    4
    « Very pleasing »

Traveling with family and friends, we stayed at the Hotel Galles for two nights and quite enjoyed the facility, its service and location. Nice comfortable rooms, friendly lounge service, and enjoyable breakfast. I did not use the spa or pool facilities but my friends used it every morning and thought it very nice. We sure liked the location adjacent to a metro stop but also close enough for us to take a few leisurely walks to several of the historic sites we wanted to visit. A pleasing stay for all of us.

    « Good enough »

This hotel is a 10 minute walk from the main station, just turn left, It's on the doorstep of Lima station which is 4 stops to the duomo which is probably where you will end up everyday. Got a double for single use, lovely bedroom , I had to phone to find out where the safe was as it was hidden in the wall behind a painting of Milan ! Good wi fi TVs had bbc 1, 2 and bbc world Good coffee at breakfast, downside view of a wall, and to get into the bath for a shower you need to be very agile as you had to lift your leg very high to get in , not suitable for the elderly Reception staff very helpful

« Beautiful Hotel but not a great location »

The rooms were really nice but the view was awful and the location not the greatest. The food for breakfast was just mediocre but the snacks at the bar for happy hour were nice and the dinner menu was nice - pasta dishes were good but bread not fresh.

    « Love this hotel! »

I stayed here for 4 nights on a short trip to Milan with a friend. The hotel is in an excellent position close to all attractions in the city by foot or by metro - Lima station is on the door step. The twin-bedded room we had was completely adequate with a small fridge and comfy beds.. The bathroom was fine with everything you might need including a hairdryer. Breakfast really good - yes the choice is the same everyday but there is a vast variety to choose from - hot food, cold meat and cheese, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, pastries and cake. The custard filled croissants were a personal favourite. (One little gripe - the toasting machines take forever to actually toast the bread - not an unique problem to this hotel however!) The pool and spa area is small but beautiful and very relaxing. The bar and beer garden area also very good. After all that I will say the staff are the best part of this hotel - receptionists, concierge, waiting staff, bar staff and cleaners were so friendly and helpful. I will be visiting Milan in the future and I will be booking into this hotel. A real find.

« Perfect Place for overnighter »

The hotel was kind enough to upgrade our rooms for free. The check in was fast. Rooms clean, tidy and comfortable. The facilities were amazing and I could have stayed there all day but had a plane to catch. The hotel was so nice they kept our luggage save while we went out for the day after checking out. Great choice.

« A very nice spot in Milan »

I am very happy that I chose to stay into this hotel. We landed at Linate airport and we took the shuttle bus until the Stazione Centrale- 9 Euro -2 ways. From here we took a taxi that left us in front of the hotel- 10 euro each way. At the reception desk everything was smooth and clear and a few minutes we found ourselves into a nice room, with a small balcony, at the second floor. Not all the rooms have balcony, but all of them have windows that can be opened. The room was spotless, with a decent size, with twin beds that can be pushed together to create the feeling of a larger bed. The room had tea or coffee facilities, a mini bar and a large LCD. The space inside the room is nicely decorated and is giving the sense of elegance. I liked the fact that we had marble into the room. The surface can cleaned easier than a carpet and it cannot be stained so easily. The room was cleaned everyday, and smelled fresh each time. The hotel is very well organized. At the 3rd floor there is an ironing room with two ironing machine. The dining area is at the 6th floor offering a nice view over the city. The breakfast was OK. I did miss the tomatoes or the olive in the morning, but I have always found something to eat. Espresso was very good also. On the top of the hotel there is a terrace where you can enjoy drinking coffee or a glace of wine and having very nice views. The metro is passing right under the hotel but the noise is not as loud as I have been expected and I stayed at the second floor. The internet is working great and is free. Beside the noise there is a good thing having the metro so close- the station was right in front of the hotel and after 3 stations, on M1, you can reach Dome. I suppose that you can walk to the Dome, but I did not try because there was not enough time. For sure I would love to come back and stay once more into this lovely hotel.

    « Very good location »

What I dislike is the room size. It was very small. Otherwise, it was good value for the money. It was 950m away from Milan Central train station. 20m away from Lima metro station, where you can take the metro to anywhere in Milan. Breakfast was very good but limited varieties. However, the overall conditions of the hotel was very good. Staff were helpful and always smile. It was 20 minutes walking to Duomo area.

    4
« Great Location to tour Milan »

We enjoyed our say at the Hotel Galles. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast top notch. Close to major shopping and lots of restaurants close by. Has easy access to all of Milan via the metro which is right outside the hotel and only 10-12 minute walk to the train station. Would stay again if back in Milan.

    4
    « Absolutely fine! »

Stayed here for 1 night for work. Lots of shops around, easy access to all of Milan via the metro which is right outside the hotel. Yes, there is noise and grumbling of the metro underneath you - even though I was on 4th floor - but it didn't stop me going to sleep. Was more annoying in the morning when trying to snooze, but you're in the center of a busy and vibrant city so you would get this same issue staying in the very center of any great city! Just bring ear plugs if you want them. Breakfast was fine, I didn't use the spa as I didn't have time. Everything clean in the room and a good size.

« good for but no smiles »

the location is amazing, 1 minute and you will be in the metro, easy access to the shopping streets, 15 minutes to walking to reach Duomo Milan, 10 min walking to the main trains station, many services around you. the room very modern and clean , the size is good , all the facilitates are working properly, nice design , nice pool, the rate was not bad.the staff was not much friendly comparing to other staff in Italy, maybe they are practical . any how they are pilot but a smile will not kill you .

« Good Overall Experience for a little city break... »

Have to start off by mentioning the location...this was very good by the way! You're near the shops and the central station and restaurants etc. Very easy to get to other areas from the hotel. The room was perfect for our type of holiday...would just say that the shower was a bit temperamental, but all in all a clean and tidy spacious room. The breakfast was great, the staff were very attentive. I also have to say that the staff surprise me on my birthday with a lovely card and a Milano key ring! We used the pool and sauna facilities and this was all great! I would definitely recommend to stay if you are looking for a quick city break or on a business trip!

    « Great Location »

Located virtually above the metro station linking you to most of the sights which was fantastic. We walked to the hotel form Centrale Station, because of taxi a strike, took about 20mins. Reception staff were very helpful at check in and throughout our 4 night stay. Room was adequate, bed was comfortable. We had an issue with our bathroom door, fixed straight away. We used the swimming pool, sauna and massage chair. All brilliant. Breakfast was varied, lots of choice for even fussy eaters. Can get a little busy but wasn't an issue. Food seemed to be replenished at regular intervals. Would highly recommend hotel and will definitely stay again during my next visit to Milan. We bought out tickets to use the metro from reception and tickets to visit the outlets from reception. Thank you to all at Best Western Hotel Galles, for our most enjoyable relaxing stay.

    « Delightful & Charming »

Twin room, slightly small, fine for 3 nights, great products, teasmaid. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast top floor great variety of food, extended the roof so there are three terraces you can enjoy your breakfast. Fabulous Spa which we thoroughly enjoyed everyday, steam, sauna and swimming pool, a very well equipped gym - I'm told by my friends - I'm no gym bunny prefer the relaxation bit! Wonderfully central on the Main Street. Close to lovely restaurants. We did eat one night in the hotel it was ok nothing to write home about. The windows open which is a plus nowadays you can't open the windows - only a/c, the bonus there are both and you have a choice.

    « Another great stay »

This was my fourth stay at this wonderful hotel. It is located on one of the main shopping streets in Milan and just next to the Lima metro station, which is very convenient. The staff are polite, efficient and friendly and the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean and well equipped. I was very pleased to be upgraded to a larger room with a separate room and day bed. This time my room overlooked the front of the hotel on the main street but I was not bothered by noise. If you have trouble sleeping, I suggest you ask for a quiet room at the back. Breakfast is on the top floor and the room is spacious and the breakfast plentiful with a wide choice of food and all top quality. My favourite hotel in Milan.

« Posh Room at cheap price »

Me and my husband and daughter came for a 4 day break, I booked this hotel in advance through trip advisor! I was a little worried before I had arrived at hotel if it would be good as the price was excellent. I could not believe how perfect the room was just beautiful, we had a queen size bed and a single, there was plenty of room, it had tea/coffee facilities and a large tv with British channels, the wifi was really excellent signal. The bathroom was quite big, there was a bath with shower and plenty of towels free toiletries a hair dryer with two heat levels. Also had a fridge with cold drinks and trousers press and there was a balcony with chairs overlooking the courtyard. My room included breakfast which was buffet style, the breakfast was ok but wouldn't be worth paying much for. The maid service was good everything was done my only disappointment was on the day before we left she had not replenished the coffee and milk that was complimentary anyway but I liked to use it. There was also a swimming pool and spa and a gym this was free to use and quite nice, towels supplied. Good location easy to walk down to the centre of town. Overall this hotel was very good and if I was in Milan would defiantly stay here again. Well done to Galles!!!

Just back from 3 nights in Milan, stayed in this hotel. Was great from start to finish. Staff were excellent from check-in until we checked out. All very friendly. « Excellent, convenient, and well-managed »

This is a terrific hotel located right above the Lima Metro station in Milan, making it extremely convenient to get in and out of town. We booked a triple, which is a room that has a double bed on one side, and a single bed on the other, with a short hallway and a door separating us. It was absolutely perfect for the three of us. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from Milan Centrale, and I would advise you to take the walk instead of going up and down Metro steps with luggage (it will require a change of trains). You can also take the tram, but that is very crowded. The hotel is beautifully appointed, down to the last detail. Breakfast is included, and is ample and varied. We stayed in Milan for two nights, went out of town for a few days, and came back for four more. They offered to hold some of our luggage for the interim, so we had only to bring one suitcase when we left town. And for free. This is a great hotel. It is on a noisy street, however, so ask for an internal room rather than one that faces the street, and you will be better off. You will hear the metro gently rumble under the hotel. I would stay here every time I stay in Milan.

    « Nice hotel »

Check in: Very quick, pleasant staff and they let us check in a couple of hours early because the room was ready. The room: We'd booked just a standard double as we were only there one night. The room was very small and hot. The air conditioning did work but it didn't get that cold. There are no irons in the rooms so iron your clothes before you get there and pack as neatly as you can to try not to crease them. I called reception to see if there was an ironing room but they just kept transferring me to the restaurant because they didn't understand. The hairdryer is a machine on the wall in the bathroom with a hose coming out of it. My hair is long and needs a proper hairdryer, thankfully I had a can of dry shampoo because it would have taken forever to use, so ladies take one with you. Facilities: There's free wifi, a pool, turkish bath, sauna and gym. Very nice to chill out when you've had a long day of seeing the sites. Breakfast: This was included in our booking so I'm not sure how much they usually charge. The breakfast hall was very busy as it was a Sunday but we got seated quickly. There was lots of choice and everything was well stocked up so didn't have to wait for anything. After breakfast it's nice to walk up to the roof terrace, there's some lovely views of the city. Location: Great location. It's a ten min walk from the central station and there's a metro station right outside. Overall we had a nice stay and for a one night city break we got a bargain. I would stay here again and would recommend to others.

« One of the Best »

The Best Western Plus Hotel Galles Milano is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We had three people in our party and stayed in a junior suite. Room was spacious and comfortable after we found the remote control that operated the air conditioner. Our stay in Milan was short, if I ever get the chance to return I will be staying at this property again.

« Ideal for the Milan Salone Del Mobile »

What a fabulous hotel: right on the M1 (red tube line) which gets you anywhere. Super super clean and service impeccable. Nice free breakfast on the 6th floor, with great views especially from the top roof terrace. Friendly staff; very welcoming and efficient in check-in + check-out + luggage deposit. Pool and SPA - but we haven't checked them. Super cool wifi for free. Best value for money - especially during the operation busy Salone Del Mobile. We'll definitely come back next year !

« Good hotel , nice amenities, metro noise »

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel , the prices was 3x times than normal due to furniture exhibition although I was not going there. The location is great 10min walking distance from milano central rail staion. 20 min to Doumo. The Lima station is just outside the hotel. The front disk was nice and helpful. I booked superior room which I can get advantage to early check in(11:00) but I didn't happen and I waited until 14:00. The room was good in sized and comfortable mattress and pillows. Also I have advantage to use self laundry by free of charge because My room is superior type but I didn't use it. The bath kits was fantastic. The breakfast was good. The swimming pool is small but good , the depth is 110cm. Nice sauna and acceptable gym. The only disadvantage was the noise from the metro most the time, my room was in first door 131 , also it was written in website that rooms are soundproof but I can hear anything outside the room. I will give this hotel second visit but I will ask for room without Metro noise.

« Modern, Clean and Friendly »

This hotel is located right outside Lima Metro station which is only a few stops from Duomo and the centre of the city. It is a modern hotel with clean, spacious rooms. There is a roof top terrance with nice views over the city. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

« Clean well situated hotel. »

Well situated hotel next to metro stop giving direct access to central Milan. Can hear the metro in some rooms, but it did not disturb us. Nice clean room - decent size. People at front desk quite helpful. Breakfast buffet with good choice. Small gym. Our daughter loved the swimming pool. Underground parking (not cheap but it never is in Milan). The exit of the parking is right next to the hotel but finding the entrance was quite frustrating! This was more than made up by a lovely touch - as we picked up our car to leave town we found that the windshield had been washed and that they had left a bottle of water for the trip. Much appreciated!

    « Convenient and central »

A great place to stop over if you are travelling but I can't say I would like to stay more than a couple of nights. This is more of a business and lay over accommodation and is kept to a high standard. The restaurant is very interesting on the 6th floor with excellent views of the city. The food is very good but inconsistent and breakfast is busy but a very good choice. There is some notice feel the tram but that didn't worry us. Rooms are spacious and clean with nice bathrooms. We stayed both on our outbound and inbound journey to Rome which we much preferred as a city. Very accessible to the rail networks although funnily enough not by the tram station outside which was a little perplexing when we first arrived.

    « Wonderful stay! »

Can't say enough good things about his property. Staff are gracious, friendly, helpful and very professional. Room overlooking the piazza with a balcony was a lovely treat and the room was immaculate with marble everywhere. Buffet breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone's tastes. Will definitely be returnig to this property.

« An Excellent hotel choice. »

Lovely rooms, spotless bathrooms, and a huge breakfast buffet. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and responsive. The location is steps from the Lima Metro stop and provides quick access to the center of Milan. Delightful rooftop restaurant and breakfast room and a 7th floor sundeck with expansive views.

    « Terrible nights sleep »

A clean, well positioned hotel for the metro. That much is positive. The receptionist checked us in saying we needed to pay in full in advance. This meant that we had no recourse to complain about the terrible endless overhead banging noise in our room from the terrace above. The noise from the trains coming into the station was quiet in comparison. They never offered to move us until 4 hours before check out at 4 am in the morning. We stayed five nights. Not once did they sort out the noise. The fold out double bed (so they could call it a family room) sloped upwards towards the foot end rendering the bed very uncomfortable. Unhelpful reception. Left feeling exhausted and upset that nothing was resolved. On a positive note it was well cleaned and the children enjoyed having a pool to swim in.

« Could have been better »

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The reviews were generally very positive but unfortunately I can't say it was so great for us. Whilst the Hotel is very convenient for the Metro and is generally very welcoming, I was disappointed that our "de luxe" room on the third floor was quite small and surprisingly noisy due to the Metro line running under the Hotel! The coffee machine was all but inaccessible - as for some reason they always are. Bed was very comfortable. Our main concern was dropping in to the hotel bar, just by Reception - it hardly ever seemed to be staffed. Every time we had to ask Reception to call the barman who obviously had better things to do. The coffee machines at breakfast always seemed to be breaking down, as did the toaster on one day, and staff seemed unconcerned at such issues. A pity, as it could have merited four stars....

« Excellent stay with kids »

We had a great stay with our two kids - 2 nights on the way to Florence and 1 night on the way back. Both times we were given 2 connecting rooms. The first time it was on 2nd floor and the rooms were very spacious and nice, the second time we had our rooms on the 5th floor and they looked like a palace. Breakfast room on the terrace is great, the pool is wonderful for the kids, location perfect next to the tube stop. Overall - excellent and thanks!

« Loved the pool and sauna »

We stayed here our first night in Europe after a long travel day from the west coast of USA. The pool and sauna were great to combat travel fatigue! Our room was clean, breakfast buffet was delicious and extensive. We took the metro to the Duomo, toured the sights downtown, metro back and then walked 10 minutes to catch our train to Venice. The location is great for a short stay.

« Great hotel in excellent location with bonus of a nice spa facility »

We had a two night stay here over the Easter weekend. Location is excellent a short bus ride from the railway station and about 5 minutes on the underground metro to the Doumo. The bedroom was delightful and extremely comfortable with a great bed. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Breakfast was excellent...even on Easter Sunday when the hour went forward and there was a late rush the staff were truly brilliant providing service with a smile and constantly replenishing the fine quality food. Amazing. Aperitivo is just on a Friday but we did not partake. The leisure facility is super and we had the pool to ourselves mid afternoon. The hotel has a nice roof terrace and also a garden area...we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the lovely Milan sunshine. The hotel is spacious and has a feel good ambience. Restaurant menu sounded great but we only sampled a late night chocolate soufflé with cappuccinos because we preferred to eat out on this occasion. A great romantic getaway. Great value for this quality. Highly Recommended.

« Ideal for a city break with family »

We stayed for 4 nights on this our first visit to Milan. After searching through what seemed like tens of hotels, we finally opted for Hotel Galles for three main reasons: 1. Family rooms (2+2 arrangement) 2. Good location 3. Restaurant, bar and pool facilities A number of the more expensive hotels we considered did not have the above combination so, even though we usually opt for more luxurious accommodation, this seemed to suit us well. Whilst dated in parts and lacking some finesse, the hotel was comfortable, clean and situated well for a family wanting to get out each day and explore the city. The staff were all helpful and very accommodating at all times. Our family room (425) was clean and had everything we needed including tea and coffee facilities (although the milk was a rather awful powder substitute which was disappointing). The room lacked any air conditioning and had a very basic and rather useless temperature control which meant our room was permanently far too hot. The real bonus of this room is the large terrace / balcony which overlooks the inner courtyard of the hotel. Whilst not at all private, it does make for an excellent outdoor space, especially for the children - the table and chairs ideal for them to sit at and eat, drink or do drawing, etc. It seemed only two rooms offered such outdoor space. The pool is small but fine for a dip and splash around with children. They particularly liked the three big water jets which can be switched on at the push of a button and make for a bit of fun. For adults there is a perfectly adequate sauna and steam room also. Again, we found all these facilities to be clean and in good working order. Breakfast was a classic European buffet and the choice was good and food / drink quality was average. The Terrace restaurant did open until 19.00 each night so we used the American Bar's menu for some light bites as it served food from 17.00. We were able to take the food to eat it in our room which worked well and was particularly useful to avoid the children having to stay up very late. For a no-frills, comfortable stay, it was fine. We should add that we were blessed with pretty good weather so we walked everywhere with ease. However, the hotel is situated right next to a Metro station making it very easy to travel around using public transport if needed.

Fantastic hotel, staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast good plenty of choice . Fantastic facilities sauna, gym, swimming pool. Our room was great double room with balcony. « Ok »

All of the good reviews are true. Overall the Hotels location could not be in a better spot: it is centrally located and you can walk to everything. The hotel is bright, clean, and spacious, modern but with its own fascinating past. The room we had was very large as was the bathroom. Breakfast was very good with a great selection of hot and cold dishes. Throughout the hotel service is excellent. Large-hotel facilities: pool, gym, turkish bath. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

« Great hotel, great location.. »

We stayed in a superior double room at this hotel for 2 nights and it was perfect. Large, well furnished room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Large bathroom. The room, bathroom and the entire facility were very clean. The included breakfast was quite complete (cold and hot meats, eggs, cereal, breads and beverages, etc.) and very good. The staff was very friendly and helped us sort out the subway system which BTW is very clean and easy to use. The free wi-fi worked well. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and would book it again without hesitation.

    « Mostly positive »

We spent one night in this hotel. It is a business like hotel. Not the poshest area of the city nevertheless we can't fault the facilities and it was clean and comfortable. The major issue is the tube passing underneath regularly and we could feel the room vibrating every time. Although I'm a light sleeper I did manage to sleep. It is also very close to a tube station. Worth it if you get a good bargain.

« Good location for good service »

We spent a night at this hotel, which is conveniently located near an underground station along one of the main shopping streets of Milan. The city centre itself is about 20-25 minutes away on foot, while the main railway station is about 10 minutes. The room was well equipped and the bathroom clean. Maybe the room was a bit dark, but we didn't mind. Breakfast was pretty good and you can enjoy a nice view from the terrace where it is served. The staff at the reception were very kind. We got a special offer online so the price was more than reasonable. I'd say that it is a good option if you want to stay in Milan.

The Hotel is very good location,(Piazza Lima), near the central Station and shopping street. The room is small, but clean, the bathroom too. This time was very noisy the room.(under repair the Hotel). The elevator was often closed. The staff was in reception very friendly, but in the breakfast Room unfriendly. The caffe was very bad, the breakfast is ok.

« Convenient location, superb service. »

Hotel Galles is conveniently located just outside of Metro station Lima. From Linate airport if you travel on the express bus, the Hotel is within walking distance from the point where the bus terminates (San Babila). If arriving by taxi, the journey took about 25 minutes. The staff was welcoming and helpful with recommendations for restaurants nearby, there are several to choose from. The room was spacious with a large double bed. The bedding was comfortable and I had no trouble with sleep. There is a restaurant on the top floor and a bar on the ground floor. The food in the restaurant is pricey and of average quality. The bar serves free nibbles with drinks - peanuts, crisps, cheese, etc. Will choose to stay here again.

    4
    « Central located hotel »

Good room and bathroom, good fitness center and fresh nice breakfast...at the terrace with nice view, space in the lobby...One negative point....Located over the metro station Lima you feel the vibration and the noise when metro is working...fortunately that from midnight up to 5am underground is off...

« Wonderful hotel for location and value. Amazing buffet breakfast! »

We stayed in a ?Standard Double' room and it ticked all the boxes for being very clean, quiet, having a good amount of floor space with a very a comfortable bed and pillows. Large windows opened up over the street to take in local life and the vibrant cafe culture below. The room featured complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar, LCD TV, in room safe and a decent sized closet. The bathroom was large, clean and accommodated two adults with ease. The shower water pressure was great! In room WIFI was free and had a consistent, strong signal. While we didn't use the hotel restaurant due to so many great options right on our door step, the included daily buffet breakfast was the best we have had in Europe. A vast array of tasty hot food, pastries, cereals, toasts, muffins, cold meats, cheeses, spreads and sweets made for an overwhelming breakfast experience. The self serve coffee and tea machines are easy to use and produce great hot drinks. Hot chocolate and fresh juices are also available. Use the Lima underground right outside the hotel to quickly and easily get to the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele ? 4 stops and a 10 minute ride. The staff are friendly and helpful without being in your face and the hotel's proximity to local landmarks, transport, shopping and dining can't be beaten.

    « cute hotel »

This is a lovely hotel, very near the centre of the city. it appears to be a small hotel when first walk in as it feels very cosy. However it is large with lovely bedrooms, with a free spa, and swimming pool (even if it is quite small). The staff on reception, restaurant and the bar were all very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Fantastic breakfast. It was great to be able to leave luggage for free in the hotel on last day until our departure in the evening. Check out of the room was 12.00, such a bonus if you don't want to get up early. The only downside was that the bar closed early and did not even stay open for the length of time reception said it would.

« Water damage, change to poorer room, no apology - no refund »

During our stay there was a water damage above and water leaked to our room. We had to change our room of course, but we get a really small and horrible smelling smoking room (we had booked and paid for bigger non-smoking room). Staff said that the hotel is almost fully booked and they have available only this small room and suite, but they can't give us the suite! Oh yes, they really told that. On morning we asked that could the hotel compensate us that we got a cheaper room that we paid for, but the receptionist (Francesco) said that it's not possible and didn't even apologize. So it looks like that for this hotel it's ok to charge customers for better room than they get.

    « Excellent location »

Wow. Nice room, everything worked, large size since we stayed in family suite. Locati N is superb. Right at the metro entrance Lima station, 5 min to Duomo by subway, on one of the major shopping street with any kind of shops imaginable. Will stay again if back to Milan.

    « Hotel Galles Dec 2015 - Jan 2016 »

The hotel is situated in a lively area just outside the metro station which is excellent for transport to the main attractions and stations. The room was as seen in all photos however the shower cubicle was slightly small for my liking. Besides that the hotel was very good, the breakfast selection was also good. The spa area also relaxes you at the end of a long day. The staff are very helpful. I must mention KITH LANDICHO who was an excellent contact for the hotel. I telephoned the hotel requesting places to eat and events during the New Year's Eve and new year period and Kith kept in constant contact with all the events and restaurants. He was also there to advise on the attractions of Milan and the best way for transportation for the places we went for days outside of Milan. Whilst he is given the job of a concierge he should definitely be in a higher position since he made our trip much more organised than it would have. Kiran Patel

    « Perfect! »

The hotel was very close to Milano Centrale Train Station (5-7 min on foot) and also there is a Metro stop (Lima) next to the hotel entrance. Very good location (Corso Buenos Aires - the heart of Milan for shopping). There are plenty of restaurants and cafeterias in the area. Also, you can use the Metro to go to the centre (Duomo - only 4 stops) or in any other place. The hotel is exactly as it seems in the photos. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are perfect (big, shiny and very clean). The breakfast was PERFECT! A very big variety of hot and cold dishes. They even prepared us for free an early breakfast box to take with us to the airport!!! Strongly recommended!

« very good for everything »

Could not get the family suite for three nights (Dec 28 -30) on hotels.com so called hotel directly and the staff were great in arranging this over the phone. Both Roberta and Marco were very helpful. Also gave me the same low rate including breakfast. Hotel is 5 minutes from Central train station and 20 minutes from Garibaldi train station. Shopping convenient nearby on Corsa Buenos Aires and metro station right outside hotel. Hotel has small indoor pool and sauna. Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold food but it closes precisely at 10:30 and things are immediately removed. Family suite accomodated 2 adults and 3 kids very well. Staff was all polite and helpful. One hiccup- at check out I advised we were 5 people and five large bags needing a taxi to the train station. We got a minivan that could not accomodate us and had to wait for a second larger van. Also, the morning crush on the elevator could not afford the bellman the ability to take our bags down. I think the luggage lift may have been out of service. Advise moving out 30 minutes earlier in the morning to get out on time. I highly recommend this hotel.

« Shopping hotel in Milan »

An average hotel right on the main shopping street in Milan. Bedrooms are rather small and quirky. Has a nice restaurant at the top of the hotel with views across the area, Food was good if a limited selection. Plus points are metro outside the door and right in the middle of the Corso Buenos Aries shopping area. Negative points are the hotel is a fair walk to the tourist attractions around the cathedral area, 20 minutes plus, though metro will get you there much quicker. Service was good but hotel was let down by the small bedrooms.

    « Excellent hotel all-round »

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Galles for 4 nights over the new year period & I would definitely stay there again. The rooms are extremely clean & the hotel is very central. You can walk to most of the main attractions (about 30 minutes to the Duomo) or you are literally steps away from the Lima metro station. The free breakfast is fantastic & you can select from eggs & sausages to meats & cheeses, cereals & pastries & more. One of it's key strengths is its staff. Every employee I encountered was pleasant, helpful & friendly. In particular, Saranga/Max was so friendly & welcoming. This is a perfect base for exploring Milan.

« Good Rooms, views of Buenos Aires corso and I love the SpA »

I went there with a colleague in November. The hotel centrally located close to corso Buenos Aires offers a great view of city centre. Breakfast which also is on the top floors offers another great view of the skyline during clear days. I was happy with the room, of course it is a bit historical premises, therefore it may possible to hear the next door neighbor if he is a bit noisy or sick as it happened to my colleague. Spa represents a bit of luxury at affordable price even though only a few meters long. Staff nice and helpful.

We have just been to the Milan Christmas Markets and decided to stay in the Galles again (second time in 3 years). The hotel was as ever inviting and the staff friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent with the Metro stop being just outside. The rooms were clean and comfortable as ever and the restaurant was excellent. Plenty of choice for the breakfast from scrambled eggs and sausages to cold meats, fruit and refreshing orange juice. A very relaxing place to put your feet up after a long day shopping in Milan.

Hello everyone, i visited best western hotel galles in august 2015 It was such a delight , clean rooms , really friendly staff ( when the receptionist knew we are lebanese she was very kind to speak to us in french :) saying that she wanted us to feel like home ), beautiful lobby , close to the city center , really close to the piazza lima metro station which help you get to the duomo of Milan and the galleria vitorio really fast , although i personally advise you to walk there just to get a glimpse of the chic , elegant and refined buildings, city, and streets of Milan.

« Excellent location and great service »

We booked the junior suite as there were 4 of us. Stayed at room 325 on 3rd level. No train noise and we slept soundly through the night. There's a king size bed and 2 single beds. 2 TVs and safe box. Room is very clean and has a balcony. Bed is most comfortable. Big bathroom with 2 basins and rain shower that had nice and strong water pressure. Hotel is situated along Corso Buenos Aires, very good for shopping. Very convenient as the metro is right outside the hotel. Milan Duomo and Corso Vittoria Emanuelle II the famous shopping area are only 4 stations away. Excellent service from hotel staff too. Wide variety for breakfast spread and we so love the cappuccino. As we wanted to leave early to Malpensa airport which was before breakfast time, the hotel prepared packed breakfast for us. Cost from Galles hotel to airport is 120€ for a minivan as we had many luggages. Duration is about 45 mins. For those who are looking for halal food, there is Halal Turkish kebab cafe at 60, Corso Buenos Aires about less than 100 m away.

« Very nice hotel & very close to the city center »

The hotel is located at the heart of Milan, on the famous corso Buenos Aires. To go to the Duomo you only have to take the metro from the Lima station just outside the hotel and in 3 stops you will reach it. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly and very helpful at all times. The breakfast is excellent and full and the swimming pool/spa area basic but clean. On the down side is the little noise from the cars/metro and the outdated/overused furniture. Overall is a very good hotel if you plan to go for shoping close and walk the city!

    « Such friendly staff »

Found this hotel to have the most helpful and friendliest staff so far on our trip. They knew the city very well and would always offer recommendations. Really well located. Metro right outside the door. Close to anything you need. The breakfast was great, plentiful and great variety. Had dinner at the restaurant one night on it was fine. The rooms were always kept clean and had a great pool and gym facilities. Well done to all the staff there as they really were great.

Medium hotel in downtown. Close to train central station (600 mt) and in front of a metro stop. Very kind and competent personnel, but rooms are too small and very old furnished. Buffet breakfast with a big amount of choices. Good for shooping and business travels, you can enjoy a spa.

Stayed there on the 21st of November for 3 nights, The hotel location is great less than 7 mins by the tube to milan central. Triple room was spacious and clean. we stayed at the 5 th floor which was far better than the 1st floor by which we stayed at room 124 however we have asked for a room move and got offered a way better room. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I must give credit to the waiters at the breakfats buffet very helpful always smiling and attentive. I do recommend this hotel if you want to stay in milan just make sure that you dont choose rooms on the lower floor.

    « Outstanding »

Our two nights were outstanding and I do not say that lightly. From the moment we arrived by subway we were very pleased. The subway tunnel system has an entrance within 100 feet of the front door. The entire hotel is all polished marble floors with accent lighting everywhere. The staff all speak English. The guest restrooms have L'Occitane hand soap from France. Friday night has a happy hour with nice snacks at the "Americana" bar. The basement has a wonderful included spa with a gym, hot tub pool, sauna and changing rooms. What a treat for sure and so pleasant. Our suite was one of the biggest on the 5th floor with a Queen and a full inside with a Greek shower that was so nice that each of us made silly noises as we took turns indulging in this simple pleasure. The amenities and accent lighting was a nice touch. The TV was large with a good selection of English channels with a game system available upon request. Did I mention our minibar was included each day, I am not sure I have seen this service in many years and it was nice to have it stocked each day. Breakfast was included and more than satisfactory with many choices that were tasty and in a fun buffet style without cook to order eggs however but eggs were available on the line as scrambled. Coffee and juice were also commentary. Go to the roof with your last cappuccino and look for the cathedral and you will smile. This hotel was one of the best hotel experiences in my memory, I wish I had 1 more day and would enjoy returning, I highly recommend staying here on the 5th floor.

« Not the cheapest, but nice; cool rooftop terrace »

This hotel cost about double, per night, what I paid for other similar star level hotels in Rome and Naples. But the front desk staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very extensive (for European standards). Room was clean, location is good. An added advantage was the rooftop terrace where you could see the Alps from the hotel. We could also see the Duomo from the hotel. Nice views.

Courteous and professional staff. Rooms are comfortable and fairly modern. Comfortable bedding. Self laundry facility is a major plus. Location of the hotel is prime and in the heart of a shopping area: Corso Bueno Aires. Very close parking facility in case you arrive with your car rental. Breakfast is very extensive in terms of variety and leans towards an American breakfast. Upon pulling my car out of the parking structure, I found a thank you letter and water bottle on the car shield compliment of the hotel. A few steps away from Lima metro station. Would surely reconsider this hotel.

« Excellent trip, great fun »

Stayed 3 nights in early November, great hotel, FANTASTIC location, tasty breakfast, ample rooms, thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the city. Previous complaint included the slow lift??? There are two other lifts available!! Roof terrace is lovely too.

« Water damage and change to smaller "smoker" room »

A hotel with excellent location. However, the hotel had water damage upstairs and water leaked to my room. I had to leave the bigger non-smoking room I had and had a smaller "smoker" room instead (although there were other possibilities to offer). My complaints were ignored and no refund was given. Bad service, would not go again.

    « Well located!!! »

Near the stores, in font of a subway station, simple but honest bedrooms... Service is professional, and breakfast is amazing! Lots of food, and the best thing is the Italian quality guaranteed! I would recommend!

« Clean, efficient hotel with fast internet »

Stayed here with the family for about 3 days. The hallways of the hotel are typical European size: small, but they fit our biggest size Rimowa and Tumi luggage. Breakfast was good but is on the top floor. The people are friendly and courteous. They are good at cleaning up the room. The internet speed was amazing! Was expecting it to be slower than home but we reached 50mbps which was pretty good for a hotel. Clean rooms, efficient and friendly service, good breakfast, and fast internet. A good place to stay when in Milan.

« Special trip to Milan »

Booked the hotel as a surprise break for my hubby's 60th birthday. Had a fantastic time. The hotel is centrally located and right by the metro to get you around Milan. The rooms are a little small but are decorated nicely. Our room had a little balcony that looked out onto Corso Buenos Aires, on an evening we could sit out and watch the world go by. Stefano, the hotel manager was very helpful before our arrival, helping to sort out a surprise bottle of bubbly for when we arrived. The staff behind reception were really helpful and were able to answer our queries about Milan and places to visit. Breakfast was fine, very much on the continental style, plenty of choice for cereals, cheeses and meats, pastries and fruits and yoghurt. If you are looking to book this hotel, asked for a room on the 3 rd floor or above, as you will hear the rumble of the metro on the lower floors. I would book this hotel again, if we were to visit Milan again. We had a lovely break and enjoyed having time as a couple again.

« Dont choose this hotel »

I was very dissappointed staying in this hotel for several days in october. I really didn't like the way guys on the reception were working. Smiling very unplesantly, just because they have to smile. And saying they are trying their best, but in fact these were just words. I had problems to check-in, girls on reception couldnt understand what I need (i guess cause of their bad english or smth), like they are 1st day at work. I had to wait more than 40 minutes and not because there were a lot of people. Just because guys work like this. And then they promised they would change the room, but in 1 hour they said that they DIDN'T TELL this and not going to change anything. You think I'm insan and don't remember what other people say?? And the cleaning of the room was bad enough. And the rooms themselfs looks very very old and unplesant, not like in the pictures. it's really dissappointing when your vacation is spoiled with bad attitude of stuff. I wish I wouldn't choose this hotel.

« Average Hotel located at good site »

The hotel is located at a good street famous of its stores for shopping with relatively good prices, the hotel rooms are clean, but small, the bare area is not pleasent, the elevators are small, the restaurant has a view but not comfortable. The conference rooms are small and not well equipped. There is an indoor swimming pool and spa, but i didnt get the time to experience them

    « Very good ! »

Had a pleasant stay there. We were 4 friends spending 1 night and the room was perfect for us as we had a lot of space ! The 3 beds were very confortable. The bathroom was big and the room was really clean. The hotel is well situated, just outside of the metro station and on the perfect street for shopping. Only small thing is that you can really hear the metro (noise & vibration) from the room. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff was very friendly and efficient.

« Nice Hotel with a good location »

We stayed two nights at this hotel. Our room was on the 5th floor and it was fine. We had early breakfast both days and it was also very nice. Both days, we were out early, busy Milan, and what we really appreciated was the convenience of the location. Just outside the door is the Metro which is great to see the city and get around very easily. The Hotel is on the busiest shopping street in Milan, so it is near everything. Metro or walking the Duomo and all that is not far. Room was clean, bathroom modern the way we all like, the room was a combination of modern and traditional, and I have no complaints. I guess we were lucky to have our room higher up.

    « A perfect choice »

Galles Hotel turned out to be a perfect choice for us in Milan. First of the location is excellent, rooms were huge and immaculate, and the staff is not to be believed in terms of friendliness and making sure guests' needs are met. Breakfast large and varied with almost anything one could want available. Loved coming back in the evening and go to the spa . I would highly recommend it !!

    « Nice location »

I was in this hotel for a business meeting. I find it nice, comfortable, perfectly located in the central area, 20 min walking distance from Dome, La Scala etc. Very nice breakfast room on 6. floor (breakfast itself is quite traditional). Negative is the Metro, which you can hear in a whole building. The staff is friendly and useful.

    « Location works well! »

Best things about the hotel for us...location right on a main shopping strip: metro literally at the front door: super helpful staff: good breakfast selection Not so good things...a 'double room' had the smallest bed I've ever seen..def not a double and more like a large king single; 5 floors up you still heard the train underground (both ok for us but 'buyer beware'). Despite being 'Best Western', which conjures up cheap hotel chain to me, the decor was very nice. We'd stay again with a bigger room and no lower than 5th floor. Ps..about a half hour walk to the Duomo or two-three metro stops.

    « Don't stay on the 1st floor »

The hotel was placed in a great position close to shops and the Hop on Hop Off bus was close by. The only bad thing was the Metro running right under our room starting at 6.00am and finishing at 1.00pm the next day.We thought was were getting a good deal using one of the many on-line booking agencies but if the price is too good it means you are on the first floor don't take it.

    « Great hotel »

The hotel was in a prefect location for shopping, transit metro and restaurants. The rooms are large and clean. The bathroom is modern and bright. The breakfast buffet was well done and food was wonderful. The spa area was clean and very well done. The only issue we had was with our ventilation/heat system which would turn off during the night. Staff and front desk was very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Metro noise unbearable »

We stayed 3 nights (well actually 2 nights as the pre-paid hotel had given our 3 rooms away). After a long 2 flights from Vancouver, Canada, we 3 couples arrived around 9 PM to find that there was "no room at the Inn". We had to be taxied to another HI about 10 minutes away. In the morning, we were taxied back. Although the Metro was extremely convenient- right below us - we were on the 2nd floor and the train noise was unbearable. A Metro train came in each direction every 6 minutes and we could hear it enter the station and leave the station - i.e. a noise every 90 seconds on average. I shook the room until 1 AM when it stops running. Recommend avoiding this hotel, although other amenities quite nice.

    « Conferance visit »

Had a 3 night stay at this hotel. Ordered a double bed for single use to ensure some space, but the room was even rather small. Breakfast was OK, but rather caothic in the weekend. Lunch was smple, not impressive. The hotel location is perfect for urban exploring. 20 meter walk to Metro station and 5 minute taxi drive to the central train station and airport bus stops. Nice staff.

    « Good location »

The hotel is in a great location the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. They had their own self service washing area for ?5.00 for the entire stay which we found very useful on a long trip. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and appeared to be good for families.

« Friendly staff and nice lobby area »

The Galles was the first hotel we stayed at on our 2 week vacation to Italy. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at ease. The hotel is located very near a Metro stop which made it convient to travel around the city. We did make it to the Worlds Expo just a 20 minute Metro ride. Our room was on the 6th floor just off the elevator and down the hall from the Dining Room, where breakfast was served very early. We could hear everyone coming and going! Our room was small, and the bathroom was smaller than one on a cruise ship! The lobby area had comfortable clusters of chairs and tables to enjoy an afternoon snack and drink from the bar.

    « Great hotel »

I could not have asked for a better hotel. Upon check in the gentleman was so nice and upgraded us to a suite. We stayed three nights and loved the location. Was easy to get to the Duomo and The Last Supper. Was walkable to the train station also. Breakfast was included and was great to start off our busy days. Would highly recommend!

    « good value hotel »

nice hotel decent value a few stops from the Duomo (or a 20 mins walk). Conveniently located right outside metro stop and along a great shopping street. Nice restaurants nearby one block away. hotel spa good and clean - pool a bit chilly, but lots of relaxation areas and sauna and steam. would recommend to stay here if you want better value for money and happy with a short walk /few metro stops to the main sights. would stay again. free breakfast included.

« Fantastic hotel in a great convenient location »

We stayed here twice in two different rooms whist we were in Milan. The hotel is located right next to the Lima metro stop and is right on the corso buenos aires which has a lot of shop that leads all the way to the gold triangle of shops. Checkin was a bit slow and took a while to get going even when queuing in the priority line as we had booked a Junior suite. If you want to use the laundry room (which is included if you book a suite) on level one you will need to tell them at check in so they can activate your card for the laundry room. Our first room was the Giuseppe Verdi junior suite (231) is quite spacious with a separate sitting room which was converted to a bedroom for our son. It was nice to have a bigger table and a kitchen sink, microwave, fridge. Finding the room can be a journey as the building has a maze of corridors. Each room in our suite has its own air conditioning controls which came in handy. room 231 was a single room junior suite. It faces the street entrance to the hotel and has roller shutters to block out the noise and light. Our second visit was in Room 560 which has a balcony that looks out onto the back with other apartments. It appears that they have different classes of junior suite and the bigger ones are given to longer stays and on a first come first serve basis. Although the room is smaller it is still very nice. Use of the washing machines and dryers is free, you just have to bring your own powder or get some from reception. Note though that the machines are not very powerful. It took numerous trips to the laundry to check. All up we spent 4 to 5 hours in the evening doing it. The washing machines takes a few minutes to get going ( we called for help and a gentleman came in to help - service was prompt. The swimming pool is about 10 metres long and about 1 m deep. It was a nice to have a bit of a swim, sit in the sauna. One end of the pool is a big jacuzzi. They also have a few different types of showers to try. Booking direct with the hotel has the extra perk of having the mini bar included (soft drinks and snacks). These were all replenished each day if they are consumed. As we had a tour that starts at 7 (and breakfast starts at 7, we were able to get a packed breakfast before the tour). Taxi to the Milan info centres 12 early in the morning. Breakfast has a nice spread of cold mets, pastries, juices, jams, bacon, scrambled eggs teas and a few coffee machines. The receptionist during the evening shift (Maria) was friendly and remembered our names, even when we returned to the hotel for our second stay 4 days later. The usb sockets above the bedside tables were a nice touch and handy for charging phones in room 231. Room tip - avoid rooms on the sixth floor as this is where the restaurant is and the rooms are clustered around the lifts. Make sure to go up onto the terraces on level 7 for great views of Milan. Over all the hotel offers great value for money and is conveniently located on the M1 line.

    « A Quality Hotel in Milan »

From the moment you arrive, Marco and the team make you feel welcome in the Galles. The bedroom was large and spacious, a lovely clean bathroom with The BBC on the TV to make me feel at home Max in the bar was always good with a smile and a funny story

    « Nothing we didn't like »

Stayed for three nights (like everybody) in a street front room with a balcony. The room was larger than expected and the balcony overlooked the side street. The view was nice, no problem with noise even though we were on the second floor (or first if you're Italian). The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Go to breakfast before 8am and it will be relatively quiet but it gets crowded after 8.

« Excellent location with great pool/spa facilities and breakfast »

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in September, 2015. We really enjoyed the central location next to a subway, which made exploring Milan very easy. The room was decent sized and very clean. The bathroom and shower were also very nice. The best thing, though, was the pool and spa facility which provided a needed respite from all the touring. Breakfast was also very good.

« Excellent Hotel location and good price/quality value »

The nicest thing is sure the Breakfast Room on the rooftop with it's view over Milan. The hotel has a lot to offer - like the very nice SPA facility, so you get to relax after your shopping tours in and around Milan. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. I stayed several times in this hotel and can suggest it to anyone. Regarding the location you can reach this hotel easily with public transportation and car.

Getting to the hotel ...

All directions
- From the motorway take the Tangenziale Est (bypass) and exit at Lambrate. Then follow direction to City Centre (Centro). Keep straight, driving down Via Rombon and Via Porpora until Piazzale Loreto. At the roundabout, take the 5th exit into Corso Buenos Aires. Continue for around 600 meters until you reach Piazza Lima. You will see the Best Western Plus Hotel Galles on your left hand side.
