"End of cycling Bolzano-Venezia with prolonged stay to visit Venezia (total 4 nights)"

User 30/07/2020

This hotel was our end of the cycling tour Bolzano-Venezia. We had additionally booked 3 extra nights to visit Venezia. (Not by bicycle!) Public transport (bus/tram) takes about 45 minutes from this hotel to Venezia and is very frequent. Roundtriptickets available at hotel reception à 3,00 EUR. Breakfast was of extensive international standard (instead of limited Italian). We had also dinner 2 times in the restaurant, where we appreciated the choices of the menu and the moderate price. One time inside and the second time outside on the terrace. Air-conditioned spacious room and rainshower in the bathroom.

"Nice experience"

User 20/05/2020

"A hotel with integrity and excellent customer service !"

User 11/03/2020

I urge you to support this fine hotel as they are refunding our monies paid when they didn't have to due to corona virus. Prior to this I had been in contact with them via the email multiple times and there customer service was so high. Everyone I dealt with was responsive and positive with an 'of course we can attitude'. They were even going to store our mountain bike for a week free of charge whilst we went on a cruise. We are very experienced travellers and I always find that if a hotel responds quickly and positively to your email queries that your stay will be great too. Prior to the virus outbreak I was so impressed with their customer service that I had brought a little present for one of the staff who was particularly lovely in her response that I was going to give her when I saw her.

CustomerCareIT, Direttore at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Mestre, responded to this review
Dear Hotot1, thank you for your kind review: it's much appreciated, especially in these particular circumstances. We would like to thank you also for your kind words regarding our amazing team. They definitely walk the extra mile to provide a high level of customer service. We trust that the actual situation will only be a distant memory soon, and truly hope to welcome you in the near future. Sincerely Giorgia Gasparini Resident Manager

"Very nice hotel to stay when catching a flight the next day"

ea14344, Fredericton, Canada 06/11/2019

North American travelers will love this hotel. Amenities are similar to 3-4 stars motels in US/Canada. Room is very nice and clean. Full breakfast is not included however, you can purchase it. Airport shuttle can be arranged for €6/person. A nice mall is about 15 minutes walk or if you know the bus schedule, it is less than 5 minutes by bus. It is far from Venice but you can easily take the bus (transfer might be necessary at Mestre Centro).

"Very nice services"

Krisztina T, Budapest, Hungary 13/10/2019

I stayed two nights at this hotel for business reason. The Hotel is very close to Vienna airport and not so far from bus station with whom you can easily reach nearby cities such as Mogliano Veneto. The room was big and comfortable and they offered coffee and tea at the room which is quite delighting in the morning. The breakfast was really good with wide range of typical Italian food, fresh fruits, hot and cold meals. The staff is really nice. The wifi was free and good

"Cold eggs ruined my whole day"

TravelerGuest, Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania 01/10/2019

The hotel is average Just another place to rest your head so it gets a 3 stars just for that. The lounge/bar/restaraunt is good and convenient so I'll add a star for that. The bed and pillows were hard as rocks. Minus a star for that. For breakfast, a bus load of tourists demolished the buffet breakfast just when I arrived. I understand that happens. I waited patiently while I had a cup of coffee for a fresh pan of scrambled eggs to come out from the kitchen and when they finally arrived after at least a 15 minute wait, I was finally able to start my breakfast. To my great disappointment, the eggs were colder than room temperature ... I had to spit out what I put in my mouth and could not continue eating from there. Ice cold eggs, yuk! Minus 2 stars for that. Off to the airport I went, hungry.

Dear TravelerGuest, thank you for sharing your valuable comments about Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Mestre. We regret to hear like our Hotel didn't meet your lodging needs and especially that great part of your dissatisfaction is due to the unlucky episode occurred in our breakfast room. Rest assured, your feedback has been shared with our F&B manager, as we recognize that any comment is precious to improve the quality of our service. Concerning our mattresses and pillows, you will agree with us if we write that their liking is subject to personal needs or taste. However, we will keep your observations as cues for future improvements. We hope you would like to give us another chance next time you are in the area. Sincerely Giorgia Gasparini Resident Manager

"Rude and Unpleasant encounter at breakfast time"

User 17/09/2019

A group of us (14) were joining an early morning tour to Venice City. Our tour manager made an arrangement with the hotel to open the breakfast area 10 mins to 7. But it opened its door slightly after 7am. Our group table was allocated far from the breakfast area. We had to leave the hotel at 7:30am. We found ourselves having to finish our breakfast in 30 mins. The staff even had the audacity to challenge the tour manager to write in to the hotel management. If that is the attitude of the hotel staff, May I add that it does not speak well for the hotel. It's our first visit to your hotel but it gives us a bad and poor impression due to the unfriendly/aggressive attitude displayed by your staff.

CustomerCareIT, Direttore at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Mestre, responded to this review
Dear LeasureJohn, thank you for sharing your valuable comments about Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Mestre. We regret to read that great part of your dissatisfaction is due to the unlucky episode occurred at our breakfast room. Please accept our apologies for falling short of your expectations, even though we were operating on a busy morning, as seven groups were scheduled to have breakfast. Due to organization reasons, different areas of the breakfast room had been reserved for each group. This is usually made in order to provide the best possible service. Any detail had been explained to the tour manager, the day before your departure. We are most disappointed to have failed in leaving you a good memory of our structure. This is not typical of our Hotel, nor our staff, and we will ensure that these issues are addressed internally. We hope you would like to give us another chance next time you will be in Mestre Venice. Sincerely Giorgia Gasparini Resident Manager

Nice hotel and a good restaurant. Good staff and helpful. Some nice shopping near by a short walk to the mall or an oulet store close. Getting into venice is around 35 euro each way, a little bit expensive.

"No Airport Hotel; shuttle service only at dawn and dusk; cab to airport 40 euro+/15 mins"

H S, Vancouver 28/08/2019

Only reason picked this hotel as it markets itself as offering shuttle service to airport and free bus pass package. We needed a one nighter before flying out of Venice. Upon check-in, front desk advised shuttle service only operated twice in the morning before 7:30am and twice after 6:30pm at 6 euro pp, nothing in between; taxi to airport would cost 40 euro. (btw same fare of 40 euro got us all the way from the airport to Santa Croce right by the Piazza Roma canals upon arrival to city). There are no taxi's which you can hail by hotel so front desk had to call for one and quoted 40 euro to airport. We waited for almost 15 mins before the "cab" arrived, which was not an official taxi but a panel van with no meter inside. Walking distance to restaurants is 10 mins+ in a light industrial neighbourhood. OVS corporate office next to hotel with fenced parking lot that you cannot walk through to restaurants located behind the block. Basically you are stuck eating in the hotel restaurant Movers, which offered mediocre food with high price tag. The waiter was not at all attentive and got our order wrong when we were the only table there. Bathroom was small and shower base had some sort of dark stains. The hotel promotes itself as an airport convenient stay which it's not. Sorry, online rating of above 4 for this hotel is totally off.

Dear H S, thank you for sharing your valuable comments about Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Mestre. We regret to hear that our Hotel didn't meet your lodging needs. It seems that great part of your dissatisfaction is due to the schedule of our shuttle service. We just would like to point out like any information about the shuttle service, as well as our location, is available on our website and main online travel agencies. Furthermore, we recently made many changes to our service: at first the change of our Hotel's name, in which the word airport is no longer included. About the taxi fare, we understand that it could seem expensive but it's a regular rate, considering the italian standards. For what concerns the ensuite bathroom of our Guest rooms, we use to receive many compliments for the modern and comfortable design, but it's good to hear also an opposite point of view. We are sorry that our food proposals didn't satisfy your personal taste. Rest assured that we have taken your comments seriously and will be use as basis of our improvement. We hope you would like to give us another chance next time you will be in Mestre Venice. Sincerely Giorgia Gasparini Resident Manager

"Good value for money"

babram575368, Tel Aviv, Israel 12/08/2019

Regular rooms, best value for money, breakfast was good, location was in not close to city center of Mestre, but youyou use a bus for 20 min to Venice. Checkin and out was very simple. Fast respond to customer requests. Free parking if you vome with car

"This is not an airport hotel"

Quijanotango, London 29/07/2019

Our flight arrived at the Marco Polo ariport at 11.30pm and we decided to book a room at this hotel thinking that we could use the airport shuttle and head off to Venice the following morning. The surprise came when we found out that the shuttle, which is not free and has a surcharge of 6 euros pero person, only operates for a couple of hours in the morning and a couple of hours in the evening, with the last departure at 9pm. We had no option but to catch a taxi which costed us 45 euros for a 10 minute trip. The room was fine and the breakfast quite good but to call this an 'ariport hotel' is just false advertising. If you don't have a car and you're visiting Venice, I cannot see why anyone would find staying at this hotel, covenient.

Dear Quijanotango, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport. Just leave us the possibility to point out that our location, as well as any information about the shuttle service, is available on our website and main online travel agencies. "Perfect for access to Venice Airport"

User 16/07/2019

My husband and I disembarked from a cruise in Venice. Our flight didn't leave until the following morning, so we needed a place to stay overnight. My sister recommended the Quid hotel as a quality place to stay with easy access to the airport. She was absolutely spot-on with her suggestion. The hotel staff, Michael at the front desk especially, was friendly and very helpful (especially since we arrived extra early with nothing to do until our room was ready). The room was great and very clean. The walls were a bit thin, however, and we could hear a lot of noise in the hallway/from other rooms. The breakfast (6 euros pp) and airport shuttle (also 6 euros pp) were well worth it! Getting to the airport was a breeze! We would caution people hoping to explore the islands of Venice that the hotel is not especially conducive to that. We wanted to explore more but found it just a bit too difficult to get back and forth from the hotel to the islands. If you just need a place with easy access to the airport, however, this is a great place to stay!

"Very good hotel"

VKonsulov, Plovdiv, Bulgaria 13/07/2019

This is the 3rd time I'm staying at this hotel. It's nice and clean, has free parking and decent breakfast. Bathroom is nice and modern, with a cabin. Location is somewhat convenient as it's 15 minutes from the parkings of Venice. There are also some convenient stores close to the property. I'd stay there again on my next trip to Venice.

FarAway68194880807, Montreal, Canada 08/07/2019

Very nice place, clean, spacious room, only problem, far from the airport, hard to locate without a GPS Nice breakfast, good coffee. I recommend this hotel without reserve. Mariangela is a very precious element at the hotel, the others at reception are fine as well

Climber37510132005, Naples, Italy 26/06/2019

This hotel is just about Ahhhhhmazing! It is conveniently located along the way, close to Venice, as well. It is fabulously priced. It is pet-friendly, YAY!! Their staff is absolutely amazing, efficient, speaks English, works fast to process your check in and check out. Their restaurant food (dinner and breakfast) is incredible! The rooms are clean, AC working well. My kitties and I have been staying at this hotel for past 7 years on our travels. I would not go anywhere else!! BWQ comes HIGHLY recommended!

"Review of Best Western Quid and missing item"

linswords, Piedmont, California 24/06/2019

I overall was not happy with my stay at this hotel for various reasons but mostly because they were not sympathetic to my missing item. I reported this missing item, the same day it went missing, the evening before my return to the US. I was told it was probably swept up with the laundry, and they would let me know by e-mail if they found it. Well, it did not show up, according to the hotel manager there. She offered no kind of compensation. I then wrote back requesting minimal compensation, and never did hear back from her. Also, the bathroom has a door stop that sticks out in the room, and you have to be careful not to stub your toe on it. Most bathrooms have a stop by the wall. The bathroom does not have a shower door, and somewhat floods the bathroom on taking a shower. *******I could overlook the above, but staff support at resolving issues, especially when traveling is important to me. They did not resolve my issue, or continue correspondence about it. Missing items from a room is not acceptable.**** To be fair I did have one good experience with the kitchen staff. One of the male staff set up wine service for our dance group in one of their side rooms. I wish I could remember his name.

CustomerCareIT, Direttore at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport, responded to this review
Dear Linswords, thank you for taking the time to submit a review about Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport. We are really sorry to read your words, because we always strive to provide the best possible assistance to our Guests. Like explained you by email, our chambermaid noticed your travel pillow on the sofa bed: this was the day before your departure. We also contacted our laundry service, which made proper checks and excluded that the pillow had been sent there. Further to your last email, as we never want any Guest to feel as if we don't believe in his good faith, we immediately contacted Best Western and required them to issue a travel card, as compensation. It will be equal to the declared value of your travel pillow. Due to Best Western Italy is not operational throughout the weekend, it took a bit longer to get their assistance. We were only waiting for their reply, in order to inform you about this good news. We really hope you will reconsider your opinion about our work and that you will give us another chance in the future to prove ourselves. Best Regards Giorgia Gasparini Resident Manager

"A little far out from many things to do"

702bjarnep, Dubai, United Arab Emirates 08/06/2019

The room is very nice and with the tv many channels I will know more as at this time I am waiting for dinner at 7:30pm And of course breakfast in the morning. But I see no problem as here at this hotel nothing is a problem.

"Inconvenient for Venice tourists"

User 06/06/2019

The hotel and it's amenities were ok though! The bar (opened till 12am) was located right behind the restaurant. I wouldn't have known it existed if not because I looked at the hotel brochure. 1 more complain is the room door. So hard to open and close with the room key card. We thought it was faulty at first and consulted the hotel reception. Apparently its supposed to be working perfectly fine. Very inconvenient. However apart from the above, to me the hotel is a very warm and comfortable place whereby business associates gather and chill (before their flight at Venice airport I presume) Room was clean and cosy, ok for a few nights stay. Not good for Venice tourist though. Even though we were able to figure out how to take the public transport to Venice, traveling back and forth from the hotel is still very troublesome. Thus if you are looking at a chill and relaxed trip to Venice, I would suggest you stay at one of the hotels in Venice area . That extra buck will be worth it trust me! Because unlike ppl who stayed in hotels located in Venice , we didn't have the option of returning to our hotel for a short break before continuing our activities in Venice because it's obviously too troublesome to travel back there again. We had to stay there for the whole day and Venice isn't exactly cheap.

Dear Ms Arielle, thank you for sharing your experience at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport. We are glad to hear that your stay with us has been comfortable. "Overnight stay as 6.30am next morning."

ponsford4, Sydney, Australia 03/06/2019

Location was chosen because only 10minute drive to airport. Staff gave us clear printed instructions as to how you return to main island to enjoy Venice for the day. Enjoyed a delicious dinner that was plentiful, (4 stars), reception 24/7 as we checked out @ 4.15am next morning.

"Great place to stay before heading to the airport!"

winerygroupie, Santa Rosa, CA 25/05/2019

We stayed at the Best Western Quid the night before we were leaving Italy after a two and a half week trip of traveling throughout northern Italy. Staff arranged shuttle service for us so we could return our rental car and then also shuttle service to get back to the airport the next day. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was very helpful and friendly and we had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Couldn't have asked for more!

"NOT an airport hotel"

UsaKat, Estero, Florida 12/05/2019

We booked this hotel as it was near the airport, had a shuttle and a restaurant. We'd spent 2 weeks in Italy and wanted to be near the Venice airport for early am flight home. We returned our rental car at the airport expecting to find a shuttle for the hotel but there was none. Our taxi driver told us that this hotel was quite a distance- a 42 euro cab ride distance. We arrived around 11:00 am on a very windy, rainy day hoping to have lunch only to be told the restaurant was closed. We were told our only option was to walk 20 minutes to a shopping center. So windy I lost my umbrella on the walk. When we scheduled our shuttle for our 8 am flight, we were told the only shuttle was at 5 am! When we arrived in the lobby for our shuttle, there were bags of breakfast to go-but not for us. Never understood why. Very disappointing experience to say the least.

"A good one!"

ZrinkaR, Dubrovnik, Croatia 11/05/2019

A decent hotel outside of Venice. Big and clean rooms. Strong WIFI. Very polite staff. The breakfast is ok, though at one point there were too many people at one place, too early in the morning. Central Venice is around 30 minutes away. Airport is very close. The hotel has good prices. Convenient for a bussiness trip. Parking available.

"Tour group"

NormaT79, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, United States 10/05/2019

"5-star experience at a 3-star property."

Shawnino, Halifax, Canada 08/12/2018

We landed at the Venice aeroport to find Venice flooded out and no way to get to the original place we booked on Murano. We needed to stay somewhere and this place popped up on a Search. The hotel itself is unspectacular. Rooms average, included breakfast average-plus. Wi-fi average. TV almost totally in Italian. Newspapers all Italian.Do not confuse this place for a 4*/5* property. What makes me recommend it is the helpfulness and kindness of staff, who not only managed to twice extend our stay without making us change rooms but who found space for the other people we were travelling with who arrived the next day in similar straits. We were not overcharged and the front desk staff were cheerful and helpful, even directing us to a shoe-repair place that bailed me out of trouble. Front-desk staff spoke multiple languages and really seemed to put their hearts into what must be tough jobs. The disability accessible room was satisfactory, and as advertised. We had absolutely zero intent to stay here at all, never mind three nights, but I'm rather glad we did.

"A very welcoming stay during unusual circumstances!"

Dee2006, Hamburg, NY 17/11/2018

After a wonderful 10 day, 3 city tour of Italy, my traveling companion suffered a medical emergency at the Venice airport and had to be admitted to a local hospital just 3 hrs before we were to fly back to the US. I should add that neither one of us speaks Italian and since we were headed home right before this incident occurred, I was almost completely out of Euros. Thankfully, I had travel insurance and their contacts advised me to keep track of all my receipts (preferably charge) so they could review and “consider” reimbursement, so I depended heavily on my charge card from that point on. My priority, going forward, was to find a place to stay near the hospital. Since it was difficult to predict when she would be discharged, I felt I needed to book a hotel in 2 day intervals, then found that even hotels 15 kilometers from Venice close to the hospital (in Mestre) book up pretty quickly in September. After the 1st hotel during my "extended" stay in Mestre sold out mid-week, I booked a B & B that I chose to leave after the proprietors insisted on cash for additional nights (after booking with charge online), although I desperately tried to explain that I wanted to use my charge to avoid heavy cash advance fees. I was then lucky enough to book the Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice! I couldn't have been happier! I can't say enough good things about it! From the minute I arrived there, at the Best Western, I felt like I was home, as it had quite an American feel. It was, by far, the nicest of all the 6 hotels I'd stayed at while in Italy, including what they call "4 star" hotels in Rome, Florence & Venice. Of course I was able to charge my hotel stay! In addition, I was able to walk to the hospital in the mornings (about 1.3 miles), saving myself about 15 euros for transportation. For an additional 6 euros a day, the continental breakfast was the most extensive I've seen in any of the hotels I've stayed at; there were even 2 automatic cappuccino machines...delish! My room was clean and the bed was very comfy. I even found complimentary bottled water in the room! And of course there was a room safe for my passport. Since there was a group staying for a conference, the hotel was heavily booked and had a wait list after my 1st 2 nights there; after explaining my circumstances, however, the front desk staff was very accomodating, and fortunately, they were able to retain the room for me for the 3rd night...thank goodness! I should mention that less than a mile away is a nice shopping mall, Auchan, which actually includes a grocery store and some restaurants. I found I could arrange a taxi back to the hotel from there, as I'd be returning to the hotel around 10:30 pm. The only thing I was somewhat unhappy with was my dinner experience at the hotel. The last night there I decided to try out The Mover restaurant; although it was plentiful, unfortunately, the salmon I had was dry. Hopefully, it was an isolated experience, but really can't say for sure. Overall, I was very happy with my stay at the Best Western Plus Quid Venice...thank you for your hospitality, and your understanding!

"Clean hotel"

LYN, Sydney, Australia 14/11/2018

Hotel is nearby to airport but about 25 minutes by bus into Venice. Hotel was clean rooms were big enough. Shower in our room leaked onto bathroom floor. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. We were able to purchase ticket for bus and ferry from here. Breakfast was a buffet more than enough choice of food. We did also have dinner at there restaurant food was good. It was hot when we arrived and the aircon had been turned off staff did come and open windows for us.

"A good choice"

User 04/11/2018

We booked this hotel at the last minute due to potential difficulties on the island. The building is new and provides good clean accommodation. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast started so cannot comment on that. The shower is very good. Their restaurant is good providing large tasty portions. In fact when I saw the size of the starter I cancelled the main course. If we were using the airport we would certainly stay here again

"Work related trip"

User 25/10/2018

The hotel is great, new, clean and located right next to OVS offices. The staff is not friendly and could care less who is walking around the hotel. They do not even bother to greet the guests. Breakfast is optimal with many different options.

"Clean and Quiet"

User 24/10/2018

We stayed four nights and enjoyed the clean and quiet hotel after being in busy Venice. It is about 20 min. to the airport. The breakfast buffet is a good value. We had a rental car and the parking is ample. It is close to the bus.

"Very Satisfied Stay"

Adria50, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan 22/10/2018

We only stayed for one night for a flight out of Marco Polo airport in the morning. The hotel is clean and modern with a courteous staff. Had an excellent dinner in the restaurant (grilled salmon and vegetables) for a reasonable price. The full, varied breakfast for 6E was also very satisfactory. We used the shuttle to the airport in the morning and it worked perfectly. It is too far to commute into Venice daily. We took the water bus then took a cab from Piazza Roma due to our luggage. It took about an hour and cost 35E for cab and 7E for waterbus. We would return to stay for arrivals and departures from Venice Airport.

"Large shopping mall near by"

User 20/10/2018

Was initially disappointed that we were staying at this hotel which is near the airport instead of the city. Although rooms were clean & breakfast was ok, worried there was nothing to do until checkout time for our afternoon flight. The was a large mall about 15 mins walk from the hotel (freq by local) love the supermarket portion best. While my wife was busy with the rest of the mall , saw several eatries too. Great place to do last minute shopping before flying home ...if you could still can stuff things into your luggage.

User 18/10/2018

Our last night in Italy was ruined by staying here, there was no air conditioning as they had turned it off for the season. The restaurant didn't open until 7.30pm and then the food was atrocious and couldn't be eaten, the breakfast wasn't much better.

"Just OK"

Bonnie J, Calgary 09/10/2018

The room was standard, and fine. We left Best Western Madison and came here, what a let down! Check in was rude and a bit deflating. Really felt like we were an inconvenience, which soured us a bit on the hotel. The breakfast was exceptionally crowded with people filling their pockets to take on the bus that was outside waiting. Cappuccino machine, only one was working. Sad to say, wouldn't stay here again. Not a hotel issue, just the people we dealt with, except for Nathan when we were checking out, he was great!!

"Great hotel"

Barrie H, Heraklion, Greece 05/10/2018

For this band of hotel it is excellent. First rate staff and first rate accommodation. Rooms very clean and very well appointed. Worthy of a 4:8/5.0. Two minor issues need addressed however. Room service menu needs to provide a better selection. After a 14 hour day you arrive at the hotel feeling tired and possibly somewhat melancholy at leaving your family behind you may not wish to go to the restaurant but you do wish something more than a sandwich or a salad as is offered on the room service menu. The second issue is the breakfast. What is it with Great Western breakfasts. Having been in GW hotels from as far north as Norway to as far south as Italy I always get a cold ‘hot' breakfast- cold scrambled eggs, cold greasy bacon and cold sausage. Despite the fact I go down to the restaurant at 7:01 one minutes after opening time, the food is still cold. GW ......filling a stainless steel kettle with boiling water then placing a stainless steel plate of scrambled eggs on top does not keep them warm. The water needs continually heated. Over the years I have had numerous visits to GW hotels and I have never had warm scrabbled eggs.

"Very nice and clean hotel"

Matthew S, Calgary, Canada 03/10/2018

Our stay at the Quid hotel was much better than we expected. The staff was kind and helpful in getting us transportation to the airport. The hotel room was very clean and had a modern feel that we had not really seen anywhere else in the EU. The shower was amazing, but the small lip does not hold much of anything in, so I would recommend requesting extra towels at check-in, as one shower will soak the bathroom floor and make it slippery. The beds were more comfortable than any of the previous hotels that we had stayed in and the Nespresso machine in the room was delicious. The one thing I will note is that although this is listed as an airport hotel, it's not as close to the airport as one would assume. It was approx. a 15-20 min taxi, which cost roughly 30 euro each way. Having said this, based on google maps, it looks like most of the airport hotels in Venice are roughly the same distance. Either way, the hotel, and staff are great, the distance is more or less something that is good to know beforehand, as I feel like the review stating how close the hotel is to the airport are a little misleading.

"Great Hotel Close to Airport"

Hawaiiker, Cincinnati, Oh 02/10/2018

Stayed at this hotel for two nights & would stay again. Exceptionally clean, helpful friendly people, walking distance to mall & restaurants. The only thing it lacked was a swimming pool. Shuttle service was 6 euros a person. Breakfast was 6 euros too. Transportation by bus to Venice was convenient & 3 euros one way. Oh, free internet service too. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again here.

"Confort accomodition"

RomaLocuta, Rome, Italy 27/09/2018

Very confort hotel, spacious room, good restaurant and lounge bar, essential gym. Staff very professional and kindly. Location closed to the airport. Parking facilities.Recommended for business traveller.

"Quick Birthday Getaway "

Michele R, Atlanta 26/09/2018

Booked through which states that the hotel has COMPLIMENTARY breakfast but was told that our reservation was "room only". Showed the website and language in the general hotel description to the front desk and still couldn't come to a resolution. Nice, modern hotel but the bed is too hard and low to the ground. The shower needs a door to prevent water on the floor.

"Great hotel and location, but needs new beds"

User 02/09/2018

The hotel is great, with good sized rooms and inclusions. The location was also much better than expected, not just for the airport but it's also next to a shopping mall, close to the main piazza in Mestre and close to the train to Venice. However the beds were extremely hard. So much so that it disturbed our sleep. At least in that room, new beds were needed.

"Really helpful & cycle friendly"

User 31/08/2018

Comfortable hotel with a good breakfast and really helpful staff. We booked this hotel as they were so helpful in organising airport transfers for us and large bike bags. No problem when we arrived- the transfer picked us up and took us & 3 bike bags to the hotel. The return journey had a blip- the driver turned up and did not want to take all our bags. However, the hotel dealt with everything and within 10min another transfer had arrived and we did not have to pay any extra- they were fantastic at making sure we had the service they had said we would get. I would definitely recommend!

"Extremely helpful hotel"

happy_holiday044, London, United Kingdom 31/08/2018

We arrived late one evening with 3 bikes at Venice airport but the hotel had arranged a suitable transfer for us. The room was large, clean, well air conditioned and great (despite soaking the entire floor) showers. The breakfast filled us up ready for our cycle with a wide selection of foods to fit everyone's taste. The staff were extremely helpful both before and during our visit. It is a very short journey into town for food or there was a really great restaurant hidden a few minutes walk away.

"Updated Property"

User 30/08/2018

New hotel with nice decor walking distance from a large mall. Along a bus route that takes you to Venice in about an hour. Rooms had updated amenities and the breakfast was nice. Hotel staff were helpful.

"Good location and nice rooms"

ginner04, Richmond Hill, ON Canada 24/08/2018

Rooms fairly new and modern. For us the 10min walk to Maestre Ospedale Stn and the adjoining shopping centre was very convenient. My only concern is the map they provided for the hotel shuttle pick up needs to be updated. Both the actual pickup point on the map is wrong and shuttle bus description and needs to be updated (minor issue but for someone new to the area this caused a little confusion)

"Great hotel - with easy travel to the old town."

GlenMcR, Newmarket, Canada 09/08/2018

Had a wonderful room - large, great air conditioning, wonderful bathroom, terrific bed! The shower is enormous with a rain shower and hand held wand - both of which make a huge mess because there's no door and the water splashes everywhere - but there are lots of towels to mop up the water. The breakfast included was terrific - lots of variety, lots of tables. If you're walking or using public transportation as we were to get to the canals then there isn't much around in terms of places to eat. The place right behind the hotel is reasonable but don't set your expectations too high. We were able to take buses/trams down to the canals - one transfer along the way. Just be careful coming back - after about 8:30pm the buses only run once an hour.

"Hotels in Mestre, Venice"

User 06/08/2018

This hotels is a great options for those looking for economy while not willing to Venice. The hotel rates in venice are highly priced. This hotel is though a little far away from Venice island, but offers good value for the money spent. The breakfast provided is also very reasonably priced, though much options are not available for vegetarians.

"Excellent value and great location"

pedro00, UK 04/08/2018

This hotel is well located for the airport and the rooms are very nice. Everything seemed new and clean, which can not be said for all airport chain hotels! The service was great and the restaurant served very nice food that was well priced and had super service. Breakfast was also great with plenty of choice of fresh ingredients. I would stay here again.

"Excellent Choice"

David R, Greenville, South Carolina 22/07/2018

We were looking for a hotel near the airport. We opted for the Quid. Excellent choice. The shuttle to and from the airport worked great. The drivers were more than accommodating. There is a small fee associated with the shutter but worth it. The room was comfy and clean. Front staff very friendly.

"Top hotel for business"

User 22/07/2018

Best location for my business purpose in Mestre. Also a, shopping mall called Porte Di Mestre is near to the hotel for leisure time spending after work. Galloway chicken is near by as well. The place overall is calm and peaceful.

"Comfortable and Practical"

Bhupi53, Chandigarh, India 19/07/2018

Stayed for Two nights with family. Comfortable rooms. Good peaceful location for exploring Venice. Friendly and helpful staff. Value for money. Streamlined Check In Check Out procedure. Good variety in Breakfast.

"New, modern hotel"

User 19/07/2018

We purposely chose this hotel as we were only here for 1 night and wanted to be close to the airport. The hotel shuttle service worked well for us and was relatively inexpensive at 6 Euros per person, each way. Our room was very nice; clean and modern with all the amenities one might need. It's about a 10 minute walk to a really nice mall with lots of shopping and eating options. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff helpful and courteous. We felt this hotel, with the breakfast buffet included, was a very good bargain for the price we paid.

"Brand New Hotel"

Raghav S, New Delhi, India 14/07/2018

We have been here for 3 Night stay, The property looks newly constructed and have all the amenities, situated near shopping complex and lots of Car Showrooms ( I tried new Audi A8 During my stay). Hotel is 15 mins distance on cab from Venice. We had purposely opted out stay at venice hotel cause i have fear that water stinks there. and i was really thankful that BEST Western Plus Quid Hotel Served us purpose and we really enjoyed our stay here. Also During i Stay i ordered some beverages from Room service but we did not accepted them since they were too cold to consume, by mistake we had signed the bill slip for which hotel add the amount in our bill. But when we explained at check out the staff understood the problem and refunded the actual amount

"Wonderful hotel "

viks100, Nottingham, United Kingdom 10/07/2018

We stayed overnight on our was to austria. The hotel is 10 mins from Venice. The hotel has a wonderful terrace bar and excellent wine. Hotel is clean and staff extremely professional and polite. Venice is the most amazing city. And not as expensive as you would expect if you go away from st Marks sq

dissapointed494, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom 10/07/2018

We stayed there for one night after our cruise ,it is out of the way on a trading estate. The staff were very nice and helpful however one night is enough as there is nothing there and its a 5 min walk to the bus stop ,there is nothing to see around the hotel in my opinion it is a one night stay between flights

HMQuidVenice, Direttore at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport, responded to this review
Dear dissapointed494, thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport with the Tripadvisor Community. We are glad to read your words of appreciation for our staff. For what concerns our location, we would like to make you aware that the nearest bus stop is just 200 meters far from our hotel. The bus stop is called “Villa Salus” and from here you can reach Venice, Piazzale Roma, with the bus line 8E (every 20 minutes) and then the tram line T1 or with the bus line 3 (every 30 minutes) and then the bus line 2 (every 10 minutes). Alternately you can take the train at the Venezia Mestre Ospedale railway station, which is one kilometer far from our accommodation, track n.1 to Venezia S. Lucia railway station. In both cases, it takes about only 20 minutes to reach Venice. You can find information about public transports and also buy tickets at our reception. Furthermore, in the area next to our hotel, there are several shops, bars and restaurants and a shopping center. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again, and we send you our best regards. "Very nice hotel, spacious well-lit rooms, helpful staff, good Internet."

Shar1805, Florida 04/07/2018

We stayed at Quid for 2 nights and enjoyed a modern, spacious room with excellent internet connection and good lighting. The bed was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast very good and the dinner adequate. There was only one TV station in English (France 24).

"Lot of comforts"

Richard T, Sneek, The Netherlands 04/07/2018

I suppose this hotel was either completely renovated or built quite recently. It is offering all what you could wish for from a 4-star hotel. Spacious, quiet, air-conditioned rooms, free parking around and in the garage below the hotel. In the area there are a number of places to go for lunch or dinner, including a shopping mall at walking distance. You are definitely not downtown in this hotel, but only 15~20 minutes to the old-town of Venice with good roads. The interactions with the staff were all good, friendly and helpful when needed.

"Clean and comfortable"

sweetiekin, Singapore, Singapore 04/07/2018

We stayed for only one night. The room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and no issues during our stay. Water pressure was a little low but no big deal. However, i noticed a lot of smokers in Italy, locals and foreigners alike. Perhaps should arrange a smoking room or smoking area further from the main entrance of the hotel. My experience was some tourist was smoking right outside the main entrance of the hotel, or some staff to gently remind guests not to smoke there. Just a suggestion.

"Excellent hotel with very modest pricing. Loved it!!"

npicard64, Camden, Maine 21/06/2018

Room was super. Large, couch, desk, honor bar, etc. Very comfortable. 24-hour desk coverage. Walking distance to the mall (not a great mall, but some place to go). Shuttle service to the airport was timely, comfortable and inexpensive. Highly recommend this hotel!

"Good Hotel for Airport Access"

eitwta, Waterloo, Iowa 14/06/2018

The hotel itself is very nice and has easy access to a restaurant. I would recommend this hotel if you have a flight since they have a shuttle to the airport for only €6 where many of the busses are at least €8. The staff was friendly and accommodating as well!

"Airport shuttle was great. Great staff at hotel."

LB-TX-2014, Austin, Texas 08/06/2018

My modern room and bath were immaculate. The downside is the location is not in a restaurant and shops district. The hotel restaurant does not operate on Sundays, so made my choices pretty slim (cookies and in-room coffee). Free mineral water. Get the "Lady Package" for 8 Euros. In addition to the fancy toiletries, it includes free cover charge for room service (normally 10 Euros). The only English channels (of the 109 TV channels) were China Global Network Television and Russia Today. No BBC or CNN. The shuttle is 6 Euros. Breakfast is 6 Euros. Worth it!

User 03/06/2018

It is a new and modern hotel with well-appointed rooms. The buffet breakfast and the set menu dinner were very nice. The only problem is that the nearest shopping centre is 15 minutes walk from the hotel which our group found a bit hard under the hot sun even in May.

"Great hotel"

TrevorP174, Ballarat, Australia 28/05/2018

The hotel and staff were great, couldn't do enough for us. Hotel was clean. A great shopping plaza nearby and a shuttle bus to get you to the airport at a cost. Problem with nearly all European Cities they have a hotel tax.

"Convenient to Venice Marco Polo and to shopping!"

Viree B, Fountain Hills, Arizona 27/05/2018

Immaculate hotel with easy public transport access to Venice and to the airport Marco Polo. Also close to a shopping mall! Very nice hotel with delicious buffet breakfast and restaurant on sight which was also very very good.

"Anniversary celebration!"

Dianne L, Hammonton, New Jersey 26/05/2018

This is our “go to” happy place! Brenda, who staffs the front desk, is always welcoming, professional and accommodating! Even with the street noise, we love the 1790 house! It is our “home away from home”. My husband and I have celebrated many anniversaries here!

"Good quality hotel"

User 12/05/2018

Stayed here 1st and last night of our cycle tour. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room clean and comfortable. Check-in nice and easy. Pre booking taxis and airport transfers were all sorted effortlessly.

"Great hotel!!"

lauren_f_24, Calgary, Canada 11/05/2018

Very clean, lovely rooms, modern design. Would definitely go back here! It was a great stay. The staff were helpful figuring out how to get around around and can purchase bus tickets at the hotel. About 30 minute to get into Venice.

"Always a good stay "

pushyjoe, London, United Kingdom 04/05/2018

Clean comfortable hotel very close to airport Spacious clean rooms comfy large beds Complimentary water and nespresso machines in the room is a very welcome touch. WiFi good throughout the hotel and can connect more than 2 devices which is very useful. Mover restaurant does very good lunches and dinner and bar has good selection of drinks . A mall is close by walking distance and a selection of restaurants also in walking distance. Good for business stay or even if you want a decent place to stay if you don't want to stay in heart of Venice but close enough to visit ..

"Excellent stay on every aspect"

User 01/05/2018

All comfort that you need away from home. Clean rooms, first time in my life where I slept in a comfortable bed, very quite besidea guest slamming doors early morning, great breakfast for on 6 euros, good parking spot just 15 minutes away from Venice. Would recommend for people travelling with family or as couple.

"A night of comfort"

User 19/04/2018

The was very clean, comfortable with friendly staff and essy to go to venice. The staff gave us bus tickets and usefull informations. A very nice breakfast. If I go to venice again I will book this hotel again.

"Modern, clean hotel. Nice stay."

Golf_Scuba_Eat, Boise, Idaho, USA 19/04/2018

Stayed in room 611 for 1 night, 18 April 2018. The room was clean and quiet. The front desk was very helpful with information on how to get to the tourist part of Venice. There is a large shopping mall within a short walk that includes a grocery store. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, pastries, cheese, meat, etc. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Amalia G, shefayim, israel 11/04/2018

We liked the hotel very much,The reception was nice , gentel and very helpful! They let us check in early , the rooms were wonderful , and breakfast very good. The neiburhud is quiet at night but very safe and friendly

"Good business hotel, but average service"

User 26/03/2018

A good business hotel. Big and clean room with everything you might need. Good breakfast if somewhat depersonalised. The restaurant has reduced opening hours and outside you almost have nothing to eat at the bar. The special degustation menu (which apparently is changing) was excellent and the other dishes fine too. But the staff wasn't really interested in serving us, and it took a lot of time despite the limited number of customers.

"A little dark and gloomy for my taste"

wasen, Gatineau, Canada 03/12/2017

We only spent one night there but found the room dark and gloomy. We had dinner in their restaurant and I ordered pasta carbonara and it was horrible. Tasteless and undercooked. I should have complained but I just didn't bother to eat it and the waiter never asked why I ate so little. Not a good sign. Breakfast buffet was okay. I would not stay here again.

"Hotel Before/After Cruise"

uliman49, Kelowna, Canada 22/11/2017

Clean, modern hotel situated outside the busy city and in an industrial area (no noise from industrial area). Large shopping mall within walking distance which includes a grocery store plus a small food court. Hotel has a restaurant on site (limited hours) but there are also a few places we saw to eat within walking distance. Public transit takes about 30 - 40 minutes to get into busy Venice. We even opted to take public transit (3 Euro each for a one way pass which is good for 75 minutes) versus taxi (approx. 40 Euro) for cruise port as we were travelling quite light. Hotel staff is terrific at giving information on the public transit and even sell the tickets. We opted for a 2 day pass so we could see Venice before our cruise, which included the vaporettos, buses and trams. Remember to ALWAYS SCAN YOUR TICKET as we saw passengers being fined for not having tickets or not having scanned them - hefty fine! If unsure, ask someone as many people speak English. For our embarkment and disembarkment days we bought one way passes at the hotel (good for 75 minutes and included the people mover at the port terminal). The Hotel Shuttle Service from/to the airport was great (6 Euro each versus approx. 40 Euro for taxi) but needs to be arranged beforehand. Big breakfast buffet if you opt to include breakfast with your stay. Queries to the hotel before arrival were answered promptly. We were very pleased with our choice in this hotel and the desk staff is terrific!

"A good night of sleep"

User 09/11/2017

Nice and modern hotel, located close to the airport. Rooms af nice and quiet, and I had a very good nights sleep. Breakfast is very good, a lot of good stuff to chose from. And impressive variety of pastry??

"Best Western Quid Venice Hotel"

OKBJYT, Vancouver 07/11/2017

Room was large, modern, clean and well laid out. Location while outside of Venice, one has the option of utilizing the train, bus or taxi to get to the main square where one can then take a water taxi for 7.5E or private water taxi. Near major shopping mall within walking distance which was great. Service at the hotel was great. Hotel not only services breakfast but has a separate bar/lunch/dinner area that is not over priced. Have been to Venice a couple of times. When we go again we will definitely consider this hotel.

"Venice for newbie tourist"

User 02/11/2017

Great buffet breakfast & in-room tea/coffee making service - top notch outfit !! After a short, 2-week European trip to eight countries, happy to say that this hotel rated in my top two for overall satisfaction !

"Pleasant surprise"

BaraniK007, Cardiff, United Kingdom 01/11/2017

I booked this hotel by mistake, instead of booking another Best Western hotel. But we liked our stay in this hotel very much. It took about 30 - 40 minutes to reach mainland venice from the hotel at a cost of 3 Euros per person. The bus stop is 2 min walk from hotel and there is constant service. The room was comfortable for 3 of us. The hotel staff was helpful pleasant and friendly. Shuttle was arranged to pick us from airport and it was 6 euros per person which is again a very good deal. The hotel restaurant didn't offer much choice of food but there are good restaurants in 10 - 15 minute walk. Overall it was good and would recommend this hotel, but personally If I visit Venice again I would stay much closer so that I will not lose even 30 mins which I can spend in that wonderful place.

"Great hotel for airport area"

travelkat2570, Atlanta, Georgia 30/10/2017

Stayed here one night before my flight. The hotel is very clean with good rooms. They serve breakfast for a low price. The front desk provides great service. One thing to know if that of you don't take their shuttle to the airport then the taxi is expensive at 40 euros. My flight was very very early so understandably the shuttle was not available. So keep this in mind. But otherwise this is a great hotel and it is near a big mall.

"Last minute stay due to bad weather"

alison p, Stafford, United Kingdom 18/10/2017

Our travel company arranged for us to stay here for the evening because fog had delayed our cruise ship from docking and we missed our flight. Only 10 to 15 minutes from Venice, we took a taxi into Venice and spent a lively evening wandering around old haunts. Staff at the hotel were friendly. Room was big and clean. Food was very good.

"Excellent service and great hotel"

Petra L, Dubrovnik, Croatia 17/10/2017

The rooms and facilities of the hotel were great. They even have a fitness room. The breakfast was satisfying. Great service, affordable airport transfer. All in all a great hotel altough a bit outside of the centre of Mestre.

"Too far from Venice and nothing in the neighborhood"

Dowrey, Sea Girt, New Jersey 16/10/2017

We stayed here on a group tour. This hotel was clean but too far away from Venice - 45 to 60 minutes away! There are no good restaurants in the area including the hotel restaurant! The food was not good and there was not enough staff to work the tiny restaurant! It took over an hour to get our meals and they were not busy! I can't think of a good reason to stay here!

"3 nights with the girlfriend "

User 16/10/2017

Staying at this hotel was a pleasure. The staff very friendly. Quality of the rooms excellent. Very close to a large shopping centre and easy access to local transport to Venice and Mestre Centre. Venice itself is a must for all couples, as very romantic and beautiful.

"Great experience "

Lori D, Charlotte 11/10/2017

My husband and I were traveling with another couple. We flew in from the United States for a cruise and needed to spend an extra night in Venice before flying home. We opted for this hotel due to its close proximity to the airport and free shuttle. Everything was great and the room was comfortable and clean.

"Great Hotel"

User 07/10/2017

This Hotel is very clean, Very Helptul friendly staff, and Excellent service. Only one night here, but very happy with it. Staff were on hand straight away, and any request dealt with immediately. Our bed needed separating and was dealt with in minutes.

"convenient and great"

MikeyDC, Washington DC 06/10/2017

This is a great gem near Venice... rates were very affordable, breakfast was fantastic and the location is good. Taxi is 35Euro to heart of Venice, bus routes (1 transfer) go by the hotel as well for 2-3 Euro. A good alternative if you want affordable and new comfort. very convenient to airport and free parking as well.

"Leisure visit to Venice for Biennale. Trip was so outstanding and this hotel played a big part in the success of my holi"

denisel2017, Hong Kong 05/10/2017

Must stay here as it is value for money and not far from mestre town centre. Massimo at the front desk was truly amazing, really attentive to the guests and put his heart to requests from guests. This is truly admirable

"Two stays , one excelent one disappointing"

KeithinScotland, Glasgow 29/09/2017

First stay excellent , on both occasions the food was lovely. The hotel rooms work well , good bathrooms, spacious and spotlessly clean . Reception team helpful with transport links , transfers, lovely team. Dinner on second stay service dreadful , far too short staffed although they tried so hard . No management or leadership evident which is not fair ,

"Bad restaurant"

JohnWeidner, Boulder, Colorado 29/09/2017

Ten minutes from airport. Front desk 10, helpful. quick to respond. Room OK & clean, bed comfortable. Bath clean and updated. Restaurant overpriced and FOOD HORRIBLE, soup cold, fish slimy, under-cooked. Staff not much better than the food. Every other meal I have had elsewhere in Italy was incredible with wonderful service.

"More than what I expected "

User 27/09/2017

The hotel has a great location. Close to bus stop. The airport shuttle service is excellent. The staff in the front desk are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good but it could be better. Complementary drinks, coffee and snack in the room. The food at the hotel's restaurant is delicious. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

"Excellent base for access to Venice"

Pentland1, Glasgow, United Kingdom 25/09/2017

Agree with previous comments on cleanliness and comfort of rooms and nice bathrooms. Special mention to two staff members - Allesia in the bar restaurant who despite a very busy few hours managed keep smiling whilst dealing with lots of demanding customers. Excellent professionalism and leadership credentials. Also to Norman on reception. Although all reception staff were great, Norman really did show excellent customer service qualities. I hope they will both be commended by the management as both are a credit to the hotel and Best Western Group.

"All you need!"

Terra C, Novato, United States 24/09/2017

We stayed at the Quid Best Western in Venice because of its location near the airport The staff was excellent. The restaurant served a nice lunch and the breakfast buffet was extensive and affordable. Our room was comfy and the shower had great water pressure. We rented a car at the airport and it was about a10 minute drive. It worked perfectly for us!

"Excellent location very affordable even for a very picky person like myself."

Lindpro, Toronto 21/09/2017

You have to stay here if you are going on a cruise. They provide free shuttle to and from the port. The hotel is clean, comfortable and affordable. If you decide to stay a few days before or after your cruise this hotel is also perfect for that since it's close to the airport and it's within walking distance to the train station to take you into the city. Shuttle to the airport is also included. Perfect for a stress free trip!

"Quiet and Comfy"

mg0rm1, Naples, Italy 08/09/2017

This place is a short, easy drive to Venice. It's modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet with a friendly staff, tasty breakfast, decent Wi-Fi and free parking. Not much else to say about this place. It's basic and more than adequate for any regular traveler who doesn't like to pay a zillion bucks for a quality hotel room.

"Great Staff"

EdCrowleyNYC, New York City, New York 07/09/2017

Choose this hotel because we had a early flight out of Venice. Great staff helped us book a tour of Venice on short notice and arranged transportation. We were in Europe for 9 days, this was the best breakfast we had. We left a personal item in the room and the staff worked diligently to ensure it was returned to us. I booked two rooms on the web and the gentleman who checked us in was able to switch them to a connecting family room.

"Great location near the airport"

User 06/09/2017

Booked this hotel as a minute deal for our flight departing from Venice Airport. We have managed to get a good rate including breakfast for a family of 3. Location Its about a 15 min drive to the airport (we booked a rental car) where it is fairly easy to find and navigate. There are ample parking spaces provided to guests. Reception Easy, straightforward checkin no dramas. They are knowledgable around the area as I asked for shops that open next day for last minute shopping. Room Comfy beds, clean and crisp. All I need. Breakfast A good selection of continental, Italian and english breakfast was on spread at the buffet table. The Italian section is worth dropping by. Checkout Easy and no drama. We were out in 5 mins. Overall a good hotel in Venice if you have a car rental. Its a good starting point to go around the sights of Venice. Just be sure to do your homework on finding a place to park ( very expensive )

"Last minute booking due to flight cancellation - great service"

Louise H, Manchester, United Kingdom 03/09/2017

Due to an EasyJet flight cancellation 8 of us (2 children and 6 adults) needed a few rooms, some food and refreshments before a new flight the following day. Hassle free booking, sorted the best room mixes for us all and kept the restaurant open for us due to our late departure. Exceptional reception staff. Free wi fi, free use of business centre. Restaurant food lovely Recommend highly and will definitely book Beat Western for other trips

"Good hotel close to the airport"

User 31/08/2017

we sleep one night as we arrived form the airport, close to the airport cca. 8 km. Rooms are enough big, modern furniture. A lot of free parking spaces in front of a hotel. Bathroom also clean and spacious.

"Great vacation in a beautiful city in a wonderful hotel"

tvl65, Voorthuizen, The Netherlands 30/08/2017

Everything was at the highest level. And the hotel, and the food, and the atmosphere.Transportation from the hotel to Venice takes 30 minutes, but very convenient. I highly recommend when visiting Venice.

"A very convenient hotel to stay while visiting Venice"

dunjaperic, Calgary, Canada 29/08/2017

Great hotel, great staff, very good buffet breakfast, close to public transportation taking you into the heart of Venice. Round trip ? Only EUR 3.00. Staff is very, very helpful and kind. Ready to help with all your needs. I will stay again when visiting Venice. The rooms are comfortable, clean, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. The underground garage is very convenient and free.

"Nice hotel in vicinity of Venice."

SunnyAustin, Austin, Texas 29/08/2017

Relatively new hotel in Venice area. Very friendly staff -- eager to help. Breakfast was good -- lots of variety. Bus connectivity from Venice at night is a problem. Free shuttle service to airport starts only at 5:00 am so could not use it. Showering without letting water out of the shower pan was a challenge. AC was not cooling enough -- staff mentioned lowest it can go is 4 deg less than outside temperature.

Nooreddin, Baghdad, Iraq 27/08/2017

i was satisfied in this hotel , good location ,nice staff ,wide rooms , good breakfast , room service is nice ,clean and comfortable beds , easy to reach the center of the town , quite and air conditioned

"One night stay"

JClaireDavies, Stafford, United Kingdom 25/08/2017

Modern hotel, that is spotlessly clean. Very helpful staff, detailed information given about how to get into Venice, which is a short journey by bus and tram, which only costs 3 euros, all very easy to do. We only stayed one night before we flew out of Marco Polo airport, which is only about a 10/15 minute drive away. Breakfast was 4 euros, excellent choice and great value for money, I don't think I have ever seen as much choice in a hotel before, something for everyone.

"Overnight stay"

Helen O, Newcastle, Australia 23/08/2017

The hotel was situated approximately 15 mins from Marco Polo Airport, Venice and I was picked up and dropped off by the hotels shuttle service. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and provided everything that I needed for an overnight stay including a buffet breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant where I had lunch and dinner and the menu was extensive and food delicious. It was a great start to my holidays in Italy.

"Great stay at Best Western!"

User 23/08/2017

The staff was kind, friendly and helpful, the breakfast was various and delicious and the rooms were cozy and clean. Anything we needed was provided by the staff within no time and we felt very comfortable during the whole stay. It was excellent!

"Comfortable Hotel"

KezzaT2014, Bremervorde, Germany 19/08/2017

This hotel is well set up for eating and comfortable accommodation. Although a distance from Venice itself public transport is very efficient and we had no problems finding our way around. There is not a lot to do in the vicinity of the hotel except for a mall.

User 18/08/2017

Very clean hotel, drinks and snacks free in the room, good spread of breakfast, child friendly hotel. No negative comments about this hotel. Family and baby are happy durinh the stay. Highly recommended!

TryAndCatchTheWind, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada 14/08/2017

Beautiful hotel. Was a little difficult for us to find traveling from Canada and driving ourselves, but I think that is to be expected! very kind staff, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast and parking right outside the door! Couldn't ask for more!

"Highly recommended hotel"

mrokach, Toronto, Canada 13/08/2017

We only stayed a night, but this is a clean, modern and well equipped hotel. The staff are efficient and friendly. You will also find they provide extra touches that make your stay pleasant. We would definitely return to this hotel.

"Nice & clean hotel with helpful staff"

javaman011, klagenfurt 10/08/2017

we booked 2 nights there, the price was very good, just € 85 for the room, breakfast extra for special price, just 4 € per guest, which is very cheap for the tasty breakfast variation....the staff there is awesome, very well trained, good english skills, and they gave us very helpful infos to get takes you abt 30 min to Piazzale Roma, where you get a lot of public transport options, including the ferries, the so called Vaporettos. The rooms are really cozy, well equipped, nice bathroom. Only the shower floor is a little bit annoying, as the water floates out during your shower and flooding the bathroom...but we can only strongly recommend this great hotel and will come back for sure...

"Stop over in Venice"

User 09/08/2017

We had a stop over in Venice on our way to Vienna. This hotel was in a very good location and was clean and with wonderful AC. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They were courteous when my mother and I arrived late from the airport and sent their driver again without question. They also helped us understand the tram and bus lines and gave us tickets, stop names and where to get off to go back to the hotel. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

"Best Western VCE airoprt"

Zuro, Wilmington, North Carolina 08/08/2017

A cute Best Western hotel close to the Venice Italy airport. Rooms are clean and nice, breakfast bar was good as well. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel; bus will take you to Piazza Roma on the NW side of Venice. From there you have about 15-20 minute walk to St.Marks Square. Ride is about 15-20 minutes and it is only 5 stops (Eur 3.00 PP roundtrip-buy tickets in the Tabacco Shop just down from the hotel). Hotel also has a shuttle to thye airport if you need one and a small parking lot for your rental car. Note: the hotel is very strict and they only allow 2 people per room even if the room is big enough to accommodate 3 or 4.

"Great airport hotel"

MaimaiCA, California 04/08/2017

Great airport hotel. The staff was very helpful. We stayed one night - we got off our cruise ship before flying home. We checked in early enough, the staff was helpful in showing us how to get on the bus back to Mestre and Venice. Transportation was easy to find. The shuttle to the airport was convenient. Breakfast buffet was extensive, breads, pastries, hot and cold food. Rooms are very comfortable.

"Top hotel"

User 04/08/2017

Easy to find, reasonably priced hotel. We parked straight in front of the hotel, receptionists were friendly and kind. Rooms was very spacey with nice furniture and bathroom wasnt missing anything. Everything clean and pretty. Hotel breakfast was rich and well prepared. Only dissapointment was hotel restaurant but, that doesnt belong here :) hotel we recommend for sure !!!

"Visiting venice"

silvia712000, Timisoara, Romania 02/08/2017

Nice hotel, the rooms were nice and the staff very friendly! The hotel also have big parking wich îs very good if you travel by car. Breakfast and the food at the restaurant of the hotel was ok. If you travel by car, It s very difficult to reach the hotel because It s in a new area and the navigator dont bring you exactly at the hotel

Alice B, Atlanta, Georgia 29/07/2017

This hotel is close to the airport. The rooms are spacious, spotless and modern. Would love more English TV channels! Staff went above and beyond with any requests. I would definitely go back but Venice smells like a sewer.

"Very good hotel"

User 24/07/2017

This hotel has comfortable location, friendly staffs with english, good rooms, reasonable prices for service, goof wi-fi and excellent breakfests. In future, i would like to stop at Quid hotel Venice airport.

"Good choice, but they 'nickel and dime' you"

World_Hiker_Dallas, Dallas, TX 23/07/2017

We thought the Best Western Plus Quid is an overall good choice for the Venice airport. It's a 15 minute ride, so it is fast and convenient. We never really understood their pricing schema. First, they charge for the airport shuttle (6 E). Then they want to charge for the free breakfast buffet (1E). Then they surprise you with city tax. So your great deal is not so great anymore. Why don't they just raise the hotel rates and include everything for free? The wifi did work well and I guess it was free, but you never know. It's a classic bait/switch game that I dislike. Overall the staff is great and despite the idiot that does the pricing, we would probably be back....

HMQuidVenice, Direttore at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport, responded to this review
Dear Guest from Dallas, we would like to thank you for the time spent on reviewing our structure and for the words of appreciation for our staff. We are sorry your stay at BW Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport was not completely satisfying. All the information about the pricing policy is available on our official website. At the section “Home” > “FAQ”, we clearly inform that city tax isn't included in the cost of the stay and, also, that breakfast is available at the special price of 1 euro per person per day, if purchased from the official website. Purchasing it directly at the hotel reception, in fact, will cost 4 euros per person per day. At the section “Services” > “Shuttle Service”, instead, we communicate the price of above-mentioned service. Best regards, Giorgia Gasparini Resident Manager

"Excellent hotel"

Peter R, Mol, Belgium 18/07/2017

Excellent hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights after finishing a one week cycling tour from Bolzano to Venice/Mestre. The hotel offers a good service with Friendly staff . Great breakfast with wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables , fruit juice, cereals, Bread, meat, etc. Clean, spacious room and bathroom. Public transport at 5 mins walk from hotel to Venice. Recommendable.

"Good hotel just outside venice"

Sj1811, Yorkshire, United Kingdom 17/07/2017

This isnt really an airport hotel. Its on an industrial estate outside venice. But it us an easy bus ride in and out and cheaper because of this. Hotel was clean, modern, good wifi and a decent enough breakfast. Free car parking!

User 16/07/2017

Excellent choice to see venice without the hassle to stay in the water side. One time we took the bus 1 min away from the hotel to the port. The other time I drove my car and parked at the port and started to enjoy venice.

"Well equipped and good value"

nigle88, Elgin, United Kingdom 13/07/2017

We stayed here the night before a flight as it was located well for the airport compared to getting out of Venice. The hotel was good value, 4€ for the breakfast is a steal as it was a great spread. The restaurant and bar are also very good. I can highly recommend their airport shuttle at €6 per person one way. The rooms (executive) were comfortable and had everything you need, some even have a view of distant Venice!

"very good launchpad for visits to venice"

Guido D, Rome, Italy 10/07/2017

the hotel is an excellent Launchpad to visit Venice. there is train station you can reach in 15m on foot where there are trains running every 30m for a 15m ride. tickets costs 1.25 euro. The hotel and the rooms are very modern, stylish and well-equipped. Front-desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We got there at around 12:00. Our room was not ready. They vowed to make it ready in 15 to 30m. It was just the time for quick McDonald's lunch for my kids in a very nice shopping mall nearby. We also had dinner in the hotel returning from venice. it was a very good surprise. Dinner was excellent and much cheaper than what e would have paid in Venice in a more relaxed setting. Breakfast, at least for us, was not included iin the room charge. we were offered to have it for 4 euro each. it was worth it as also breakfast was good for quality and variety of options. Probably considering that it is used by travelers who need to catch planes, trains, they could start it earlier than 7:00. The hotel also has a very convenient, free-of-charge, indoor garage. it was very convenient for us travelling by car. For many other hotels in Mestre the garage is an extra.

"Good stay the night before our cruise"

MoreVacations:), Montreal 03/07/2017

My wife, son and I stayed here the night before our cruise. We took their shuttle service from the airport (6 Euros per person, reservations required) which departs every two hours. Luckily the timing worked out because I wouldn't want to have waited around after our overnight flight. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at around 12:30, so we put our luggage in their storage room and walked 10 to 15 minutes to the nearby shopping mall to have lunch. The room was ready when we returned. We could have just left the luggage there and gone straight to Venice but we really wanted to freshen up before going. Would just like to mention that the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was smaller than what you would have in a Best Western in North America but that is to be expected in Europe. We had a double bed and a pull out couch for our son and both provided a comfortable night's sleep. The room also had a programmable safe (something I always like to have), a mini fridge, desk and chair and a television. There is a standing shower in the bathroom but only with a half door so you need to be a little careful not to get the floor wet. There is a train station behind the mall (Venezia Mestre Ospedale) with trains running every 30 minutes for the 20 minute train ride to Venice (Venezia Santa Lucia). There is only one ticket machine at the station and another inside the mall at the exit closest to the station, credit cards are accepted. We actually had to use the one in the mall because the one at the station was broken. Taking the bus is another option but there is no direct route so the train is probably the better option. If you need an adapter, first check with the front desk as they do have a few to lend out. If that doesn't work out, you can go to OBI, similar to a Home Depot and buy one there as we did. It's located between the hotel and the shopping mall. The breakfast buffet was really good with several different options to choose from. We used a loyalty program for our stay so it was included. However, there is normally a charge for this according to the hotel's website; 1 Euro per person if ordered in advance or 4 Euros if purchased at the hotel. We used Radiotaxi Venezia for our transfer to the cruise port the next day. They offer a flat rate of 35 Euros for guests staying at the hotel and the car was ordered for us by the front desk. I suggest you contact them ahead of time by email to confirm this rate. I think the hotel has another option as well to get you to the port but I'm not sure of the cost. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here!

"Bright, efficient - and that's just the staff!"

suefirstnature, Bwlchgwyn 29/06/2017

This hotel is several kilometres from the airport but they run a regular shuttle bus to and fro which needs to be booked in advance of your arrival or departure. The charge for this is 6 Euros per person. The staff were warm and friendly and spoke excellent English. Both check-in and check-out were handled very smoothly and efficiently, and the rooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There is wifi and air conditioning throughout the hotel. The restaurant serves a good variety of food and local, reasonably priced wine is available. The buffet breakfast is excellent and well worth the 4 Euro additional charge. We have already booked a second stay in this hotel.

"Don't get fooled by Airport hotel"

G C, Orlando 24/06/2017

Excellent hotel but it is advertised as Airport hotel and it is 10 km away from airport. Not bad if you have a continues shuttle but this is not the case. You have to order the shuttle, pay for it (not to bad) but if you come outside their schedule times you will end up with an 40 Euro taxis trip. I would call this misleading

HMQuidVenice, Direttore at Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport, responded to this review

"Great Place to stay"

Mally07, Kalona, Iowa 23/06/2017

All of the staff were very friendly and even though we didn't speak the same language it was easy to communicate with everyone. The whole hotel was very well kept. The breakfast had a very good variety of choices. We were on a tour which had set us up with this hotel and it was a very good choice. I would come back again.

"Clean and New"

User 21/06/2017

My husband and I stayed here for one night before flying out of Venice airport. The hotel is very new and the rooms were spacious. After being crammed in small hotels throughout Italy, it was nice to have a sitting area! It's within walking distance to a mall and also near a bus station for a bus into Venice. They have a reasonably priced shuttle that takes you to the airport 10 minutes away. Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous at check in but also with helping us get into Venice for the afternoon.

"Great place near Venice at a reasonable price"

Trippy667, Havana 21/06/2017

We stayed here in early june before we did a cruise out of Venice. We wanted a place that was near Venice, but not at the cost of being in Venice and we got it. We used the airport pickup which was very convenient and it only cost €6 per person. The map is easy to use to find the pickup location and it was only about a 10-15 minute drive to the hotel (at least at Italian speeds it was!) The building seems fairly modern and had all the major amenities one would need. The beds (we had) were big, almost like having two twin beds pushed together. The room looked very nice with a Tv that had a few english channels (not that we used it much). There is a restaurant with the hotel that offers a great breakfast. The breakfast cost us an extra €4 per person per day, but was ideal as there was no way we'd get anything near that anywhere else. The hotel can arrange a trip to the cruise terminal as well if you are looking for a spot before a cruise. Cost €20 per person, but if more people are taking it the price goes down (so we got told, there were 4 people in our van but we still paid the full price). The location is near a bus line that takes you straight to Venice (and back) depending on the time of day and about a 10 minute walk from a train station that you can use to get around as well. There is a fairly large mall nearby that has a grocery store inside and a few restaurants. Make sure you speak to the desk about the best way to get into Venice when you arrive! We did enjoy this hotel, but there were a few minor issues we noted. Our bed was rather hard, which did get uncomfortable after a few nights. Not sure if this is normal in all the rooms, or if we just got lucky. The restaurant didn't seem to have the best choices for food other than breakfast. We did speak to a couple other people about it, who mentioned the same issue. Perhaps we just hoped for a different menu. Also, the hours were very Italian, which being a hotel that likely caters to foreigners meant that it didn't work out that well when our bodies were on a different time zone and we didn't want to have to wait until 1900 to eat. (That said, there are several good places near by that offered better hours). Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and we would be more than happy to stay again should we pass through Venice.

"i have stay several time in this hotel"

kamruzzamanshajol, Dhaka City, Bangladesh 20/06/2017

room was Clean and comfortable and service is really friendly ,People are co-operative and helpful . Morning Breakfast has lot of choices . There is very good dining and bar . Its location also good near to mestre and Venice . Bus Stoppage is near , also there is behind the hotel big shipping mall .

"Great Hotel"

Bonnie S, Bella Vista, Arkansas 07/06/2017

We stayed at this hotel on the last day of our stay in Venice. The accommodations were modern and comfortable and the breakfast was great. I am vegetarian so the only complaint I have was dinner. They served a frozen Veggie burger that was Luke warm and hard and I couldn't eat it. It's also convenient to the airport.

"Perfect place to stay prior to airport departure"

Birmingham_ALKaren, Birmingham, AL 26/05/2017

I stayed here one night as a solo female traveler in early May 2017 prior to my departure from Italy. I chose this hotel due to its early breakfast (7:00 am) and dependable airport shuttle. This is the second time I have stayed here for this purpose and again I found Best Western Quid Hotel to be clean, safe, modern, quiet, & comfortable. The friendly & professional front desk staff and airport shuttle driver all speak beautiful English & were very helpful. The ample breakfast is set up to accommodate a large crowd at once. I could have stayed somewhere else more "charming" in Mestre, costing less, but this hotel met my needs perfectly at the end of a wonderful 10 days in Europe.

"Big room in quite location"

User 26/05/2017

This was our first time in Venice, I had no ideas about the city surrounded by the water and I was glad that we booked this hotel. The outside was not really modern but the room was big& they offered breakfast for $4 /each more which was convenience for us. Customer service was just fine but could be improved.

"Modern Hotel 15min from the Airport"

mhollek, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany 23/05/2017

New and thus modern hotel in an industrial area near the airport. There is a good all you can eat Sushi place 10min walk away Breakfast was a bargain with 4€. The transfer with shuttelbus to the airport cost 6€

"Great Hotel, Poor location"

Sam P, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States 17/05/2017

Great rooms, wonderful staff, good restaurant, very good breakfast. Only negative to this hotel is that it is located in a commercial district (think auto dealerships, office buildings, etc.). 10 minute walk to other food venues. 5 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you to Venice. After about 9:15 AM, the bus takes you to a tram stop to Venice. Takes about 40-45 minutes each way. Cab to Venice takes about 15-20 minutes but costs 35-40 euro depending on traffic. So unless you like walking in a commercial area, figure on adding the cost of cabs to everything you do.

"The Best Western Quid Hotel Venice"

Greezer50, Brisbane, Australia 17/05/2017

The Best Western Quid Hotel although a little out of the city offers excellent accommodation and fine food in the attached restaurant. The room was great and very modern. The buffet style breakfast was second to none. I would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Venice Italy.

"Nice and confortable hotel"

Luis R, Lyon, France 12/05/2017

The hotel is situated on an industrial state, the place is quiet and calm. The rooms as spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows are also comfortable. The free wifi works well and fast. The hotel is not far from the Airport. The staff is nice and helpful.

"Comfortable Affordable"

User 24/04/2017

There are a few budget hotels near the airport. We opted for the Quid because it was affordable and near the bus route to the center. Rooms are standard with a reasonable breakfast. Stefano and the manager were very helpful with info about bus and trams to Venice. Also on enquiring about Verona and the Juliette opera we were given relevant information. Both staff members were extremely helpful. There was ample parking.

"Clean and modern"

Gerald Mr D, Mount Forest, Canada 22/03/2017

This hotel is very clean and modern. It is close to the airport and a short drive to the old city. Staff is friendly and courteous. I stay here every time the night before I fly out of Venice. Highly recommended for short stay while traveling.

"Friendly folk"

mcbear, Okanagan, BC 25/12/2016

Our cruise ship was delayed getting into port because of heavy fog, so we missed our flights home. We had to scramble to find a hotel, but were very happy to find that the Best Western Plus Quid Hotel was highly rated on TripAdvisor and that they still had rooms available. They offered a low-cost airport shuttle, but it had to be booked 24 hours in advance and we were in need of immediate transportation. We took a taxi at a cost of 40 Euros, a trip which took about 15 minutes from the airport. We used the hotel shuttle the next day to return to the airport at a cost of 12 Euros for 2 people. The van was on time and the driver was helpful with our luggage. Our room in the hotel was clean and modern. We were impressed by the fact that there was a complimentary mini-bar, a feature we have almost never found in other hotels. Breakfast was only 4 Euros per person. It was quite delicious and included a good number of choices. The breakfast facility was clean, roomy and had a pleasant atmosphere. I was happy to see that the hotel had taken the trouble to decorate the lobby area for Christmas. The staff at the front desk were cheerful, courteous, professional and helpful. I found all of the staff in the hotel to be very friendly folk. I would certainly stay here again.

"Great value location for exploring Venice"

elimron, County Kerry, Ireland 21/12/2016

Modern, clean hotel with all usual amenities. Inexpensive shuttle and taxi service to Marco Polo airport. Ask at desk for special 3 euro ticket for bus to venice (return trip includes a tram for part of way). About 25 minutes to Venice. Breakfast is self service and offers wide variety. We had lunch and dinner on some days- all were very good. Conference rooms were bright and well equipped. Rooms are a good size with safe, tv, fridge, good wifi signal . Rooms serviced daily. Small quibble- shower enclosure tends to allow water flood over side when you use the main shower head on ceiling

"Excellent value 4 star hotel close to Venice"

tedchyn, Dallas, Texas 25/11/2016

The Hotel is located is Mestre where is about 30minues bus ride to Venice Proper. We stayed 4 nights as a base visiting Venice. Bus and Water taxi pass can be purchased from the front desks 40 euros for 3 days. Hotel front desks are friendly, courteous and room is in excellent conditions for the price paid. Good breakfast for 4 euros a day is a bargain. Airport pickup and drop off need to be communicated 24 hrs beforehand or email and pickups are always on time at 6 euros per person. There is big shopping mall where McDonald Restaurant is located (20 minutes walking) have many eating places.

"Clean and modern"

octobergirl1, perth 04/11/2016

Loved this hotel. Stayed on three occasions in September. Rooms are spacious. beds very comfortable. Only problem is shower. It is impossible to shower without flooding floor of bathroom. Lovely buffet breakfast with courtyard if you prefer outdoor seating. Shuttle is well priced too/from airport. Its not on island but not too difficult to get there and saves lugging your luggage over bridges, canals if only in Venice for a couple of days.

"Excellent 4-star property, 30 mins away from Venice mainland"

himanshuarya87, New Delhi, India 27/10/2016

Considering the steep prices of hotels in Venice, we decided to stay in Mestre which is about 30 minutes away from the mainland of Venice and had reasonably priced hotels. I chose this hotel as it had a good number of positive reviews and contemporary interiors for which I have a personal liking. The staff was courteous and helpful. The receptionists gave us a city map and patiently explained to us the route to reach Venice mainland via bus and tram. All in all, the service was worth the price paid. The hotel also offers a paid shuttle service from/to the airport. I would like to come and stay again at Quid if I visit Venice again in future.

"Excellent Hotel!"

karenorso, Delta, Canada 20/10/2016

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful newer hotel for a few nights before flying out of Marco Polo Airport. From the moment we went to check in, to the very comfortable, clean room we were made to feel welcome and at home. The customer service is second to none, you get the feeling that the employees genuinely enjoy serving you. From the housekeeping staff to the breakfast staff and the wonderful ladies at reception, they all had smiles and were more than happy to help their customers. We also enjoyed Movers, the reataurant. The food was delicious. Special thanks to our waiter Mattia, who made sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend a stay here!

"Very good both for business and for free time"

AAGP_80, Stezzano, Italy 16/10/2016

I have spent 5 days in this hotel at the beginning of October during a business trip. My room (7th floor) was tidy and clean with a big desktop where it is possible to work (no troubles with wifi or internet connection). The bathroom was a bit small but with a big shower. No snacks in the mini-bar. Nicely furnished room. I enjoyed both the breakfast (italian and continental) and the restaurant inside the hotel. The hotel is at 10-15 minutes from the airport and 30 min from Venice parkings if you want to spend some time between the canals.

"Modern, clean with excellent breakfast, but far from Venice"

MaraToronto, Canada 13/10/2016

Make sure you call at least 24 hours in advance to book the free shuttle otherwise it will cost 50 euros to get there as it is NOT near the airport! (Name is deceiving). Also, it is far from Venice as you have to take a bus and a tram to get there which took me an hour and a half. Coming back at night you have to walk from the bus stop through a deserted commercial area, so make sure you are not alone!

"Short but Great"

Jeremy K, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia 29/09/2016

Stayed at the BW Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport for 1 night as part of a group tour. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was decent with the usual European spread Staff were friendly and are particularly helpful. There is a pizzeria within walking distance from the hotel in case one is not interested in dining at the hotel. Overall, was very satisfied with my stay at BW Plus Quid, and might consider returning to the hotel if I were to visit Venice again

"Hotel stuck in the middle of nowhere"

Jane W, Brisbane, Australia 28/09/2016

Stayed here 3 nights after a tour of Croatia. Hotel is very disappointing. I can understand why people choose to stay here as it is relatively inexpensive compared to hotels in the heart of Venice. However, the hotel is in the middle of a semi-industrial area, and it takes a good 30 to 45 minutes by public transport to get to Venice proper. There is an excellent shopping centre about 10 minutes away by foot. Check out the supermarket and the locals going about their business. The rooms are very roomy and quiet. Breakfast buffet was not up to standard, very limited choices, hot food was cold and I was shocked at how badly the bacon was cooked, something the Italians usually do well. Dinner and drinks in the restaurant were very well priced and the pasta I had was cooked well. However, the dining room is not open for lunch, nor can one get a drink until the restaurant opens at night. Some of the reception staff were on the unfriendly side, but overall most of the staff were approachable and helpful.

HMQuidVenice, Direttore at BEST WESTERN PLUS Quid Hotel Venice Airport, responded to this review
Dear Jane, we are sorry you consider our location “in the middle of nowhere”, even if it isn't. The hotel is located in the new AEV Terraglio Area, near the highway exits Castellana and Terraglio. This area is completely new and feature modern, urban design architecture. Considering we care about our customers and we don't want to cheat them, the information that the BW Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport is not in Venice island, but it is in Venice-Mestre is available everywhere on line. Furthermore, most of the people who took the same organized tour you made in Croatia affirm that we are the best hotel where they stayed at, and we are proud of this. Concerning the restaurant, during your stay – Thursday, 22nd and Friday, 23rd – it was open, so we don't understand why you affirm the contrary. Our Mover Drink & Food Restaurant closes only on Saturdays and Sundays for lunch. Anyway, we are happy to know that you appreciated the pasta prepared by our chef and the drinks made by our bartender. We hope to see you once more. Best regards, Giorgia Gasparini, Resident Manager

"Good place to stay"

welltravelled019, Toronto, Canada 19/09/2016

Rooms are a nice size. Bathrooms are modern and large with good showers. Rooms are clean. Beds are quite confortable. Tv had English Chanel's for a change. Parking was available and free. Breakfast was very good as well. We will definetly return again.

"Great Stay"

Dennis H, Venice, Florida 18/09/2016

Convenient to the Venice (VCE) Airport, with shuttle service, this modern hotel is a good base for sight seeing. Local bus / tram connections to Venice - Piazzale Roma €3.RT! Excellent bar/restaurant on-site. We really enjoyed our stay!

"very poor service and very unhelpful staff"

User 18/09/2016

there are no glasses in the room, we called reception they said call bar, bar said if he has to sent empty glasses to room he will charge 5 Euros, also he said if i need glasses have to go down, only one small bottle of water for two people in the room, if one person stays he gets the same bottle, so it should be atleast two bottles if two people are staying.

HMQuidVenice, Direttore at BEST WESTERN PLUS Quid Hotel Venice Airport, responded to this review
Dear Guest, we are sorry your stay with us did not meet your expectations, even if – to be true – we do not understand your disappointment. We already provide our rooms with two glasses, but you required having different types of glasses directly in your room. Every hotel worldwide calls this service “room service”, and room service has a cost. Concerning the bottles of water, our minibars include always one bottle still and one sparkling. Due to our policy, they are free of charge and replaced for the entire length of stay. It is possible we made a mistake, but it would be enough to call reception, informing the staff, and in few minutes, you would have had the new bottles. We sincerely hope you will return at our hotel in future in order to review it in a more comprehensive way. Best regards, Giorgia Gasparini Resident Manager

"Solid hotel for access to venice"

binkTravel, St Albans 16/09/2016

Good price and rooms were clean and smart. Parking is free which was useful for our visit. There's a bus into Venice just nearby. We drove and parked at Marco Polo airport which was about 15 mins then took a water taxi into Venice. Breakfast was ok , for 4€ , can't complain too much. Rooms were a bit warm as aircon is a bit inadequate. Staff were helpful

"Very nice stay"

User 10/09/2016

Chose this hotel due it's location near to the airport as well as Venice for the last 3 nights of my holiday. Stayed with 3 young children and had interconnecting rooms which was great. Rooms were very nice and cleaned daily. Very close to a mall which was a short 5 minute drive away which has a few food options and a supermarket where you can get reasonably priced precooked full chickens and potatoes to appease my English taste buds! Great to be able to park underground and get into the lift straight to your floor. Didn't manage to try the breakfast as we ate cereal in the room which is logistically easier with 3 kids, but it seemed to be fairly priced at 4 euro. Drove to Jesolo beach which the kids loved and was about 40 minutes drive away. We found getting into the Venice very easy using the train station at the rear of the mall which is Venezia Mestre Ospedale station. You can park your car at the mall or near the station if there's space and it's just a couple of stops to Venice, 18 minutes journey in total into Santa Lucia station on a great clean double decker train. Cost 10 euros return for my family and for me is a lot better option than using the buses. The staff were friendly enough and spoke English. The hotel caters for a lot of different kinds of guests and is probably more business orientated than family however we had a great stay and I would definitely stay again.

"Great hotel. "

Edin S, Perth, Australia 02/09/2016

We stayed at the hotel overnight. I cannot fault the hotel and the services they provide to travellers. The only downfall is its location situated in a semi-industrial area and far from city centre. Taxi's are pricey we paid 40 euro from the airport to hotel but on our return another taxi asked for 35 euro. Hotel and the staff were wonderful.

"Ready nice"

schokokuss, Mosbach 01/09/2016

Good hotel, good location (direct Busses to Venice in the morning (ever 30 minutes between 7.17-9.17 am) and Tram +Bus in the evening) description and map of Venice and Mestre in written form explained by staff. Massimo (staff member) was really friendly and gave us lots of information ? big rooms, modern, german Tv, free minibar with water, free parking (also parking garage) and an absolute good breakfast buffet for 4€! Nothing to complain, we would definively recommend the hotel and would book it again!

"Great hotel near Venice"

User 31/08/2016

Make sure to arrive before 9 PM at the airport in order to get the shuttle service, instead of getting overcharged by a taxi. I was pleasantly surprised how clean and plush the hotel is. Breakfast is very good value. Some of the staff are very friendly and professional, however the guy at reception was a bit too brash. Although it´s a bit far from the centre of Venice, the hotel is linked very well by bus and tram, which will allow you to get to Central Venice in 30 min. (buy the bus and tram tickets at reception) Try to explore Mestre, as it has an authentic vibe of italian life (few tourists). Avoid going to Murano (tourist trap) and explore Burano and the other islands instead.

"Not so close to Airport.. but good to stay at."

Peter_B_Simons, Portland, Australia 26/08/2016

We arrived at Venice and had hotel shuttle booked for 6 Euro each. Hotel is several km from the airport to Mestre. It is in the middle of commercial area off main freeway near car service centre. It is located near main bus route but not that easy to use so walked down road to main intersection and caught No2 bus to Venice from there. When returning have to get off and walk rest of way. There was another H2 bus going past but not sure how it worked?? The hotel is modern and very clean, WIFI works well as does AC. Some staff could do with happy pill at times but overall do their job. The breakfast is excellent is quality and value with a very good variety of food and good coffee (machine).

"Excellent Hotel"

Sanaz E, France 25/08/2016

?We Stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was very clean The room was cleaned daily to a very good standard. The staff were very kind and friendly.Breakfast can be added for €4 per person. The breakfast was excellent. You could find everything you wish. For traveling to Venice, there was one small problem. We had to take bus to go to either city center or main train station to be able to take another tram or bus to Venice. The buses from hotel were not very frequent (every half an hour) and very rare at night, two times when we came back very late from Venice we took taxi to the hotel (15 Euro), but I think it is worth, because it is not possible to find a hotel with this quality in Venice. In addition, 10 min walk from the hotel there is a big shopping mall including a massive supermarket. There is also shuttle to the airport for 6 euro.

"Excellent Hotel"

User 21/08/2016

Stayed for two nights staff were very helpful with maps and bus tickets into Venice. Very clean and comfortable hotel and a great choice of breakfast. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for a few nights or more.

"Excellent hotel for trip to Venice"

sanrou, Landgraaf, The Netherlands 19/08/2016

We rebooked last minute to this hotel with 7 people (3 rooms) and were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get to Venice. I took up to 20 minutes to get there either by bus or by bus and tram. Tickets were available at the reception desk (3 euro per person to Venice and back). Rooms were big, clean and breakfast was great. I stayed in Venice last year so can compare the stay in Venice or Mestre...true the experience is different but the price too. Mestre is a great alternative if you don't want to pay Venice prices. Staff was also very friendly although it was very busy when we arrived.

"As good as a best western can be"

Paul T, Mount Gambier, Australia 19/08/2016

Stayed here for two nights. The services were good, a great breakfast on each morning before we set off for the day. The room was clean and comfortable with a shower that worked a treat. Good nights sleep as no night noise.

"Excellent hotel"

R_Kesh, London, United Kingdom 14/08/2016

Excellent hotel: very clean. The staff were very kind and friendly. Very good spoken English of the staff which was very helpful. Room was cleaned daily to a very good standard. Very clean and modern hotel. Would highly recommend. Breakfast can be added for €4 per person. Travel to venice: very convenient, easy and cheap to reach main venice for €3 return ticket from hotel. This took us by suprise at how easy it really was. Well worth it if this hotel is working out cheaper than staying in the heart of Venice. We felt it was quite nice to come back to a quiet location after a long busy day in venice to unwind. Some areas became really smelly in the heart of Venice around the canals and at times the smell was strong and disgusting. Shopping: Not much directly outside the hotel although there is a nice shopping mall around 10 mins walk away called porte di mestre. Worth a visit as they have good bargain and sales on clothes. They also have a few places inside the mall to eat as well as a massive supermarket.

"Good hotel for short stay"

PTBARB15, Naples, Italy 14/08/2016

Best Western Venice is a good hotel to visit Venice for a short stay. Only downside (according to my wife) is you don't get the feel of being in Venice staying here as the hotel overlooks car dealerships and not the romantic canals. But at the end of the day the price, free parking on site, and quiet location (away from Venice) won us both over. For the hotel itself reception was very helpful, room good size, clean and modern. Bathroom is big with walk in shower. Breakfast not bad for 4 Euro. Free Wifi was excellent. Bus and tram ride from hotel into Venice was a little confusing at first but we figured it out.

"Short stay before cruise"

Peter N, Edinburgh, United Kingdom 13/08/2016

Our family of 4 adults & 2 children have booked for 1 night stay before our cruise holiday from Venice. We do not have high expectations but are presently surprised. The hotel offers transfer from Venice airport at 6 euros per person (child of 1 year old pays the same as an adult). The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. Staff very helpful in arranging our transfer from hotel to cruise ship terminal at a good price. I was particularly impressed with their restaurant that served excellent Italian cuisine at reasonable price. Their breakfast is good too. The only drawback of the hotel is lack of any attractions in the surrounding area - walking to the nearest shopping mall is at least 20 minutes! It is just good for a stay of a day or two.

"Excellent stau"

Dawn281, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom 11/08/2016

Stayed overnight before going on a cruise. Reception so helpful - they had very clear details to help us get to Venice Island - it was so easy to do too and all at the cost of only three euro return. Hotel clean, lovely rooms, great staff. We added breakfast at the cost of only 4 euro and it was well worth it. Would stay again.

"Three night stay for a family of three. "

User 07/08/2016

Great breakfast for just 4 euro a person. Rooms are clean, wifi works most of the time. Great location to catch the bus to the tram in order to reach Venice. Tickets for that were 3 euro a person. My only complaint is that the room service disregarded my "do not disturb" sign on the door for both days I had it hanging on the door. I guess, in a sense, I am complaining about fresh sheets and towels. The staff have been very nice and helpful with any questions I have had.

"5 days stay at Best Western Plus"

Adrian C, Gatineau, Canada 27/07/2016

This is an excellent hotel, rooms are clean and very modern. Breakfast was available at the cost of 4 euro per person. The only drawback is its location, especially for one that intends to visit Venice Santa Lucia. From here, you can take the bus to Mestre downtown and the tram from there to Santa Lucia. The tram comes every 10 minutes or so but bus schedule is very bad. From 8:15 pm to 10:05 pm there is no bus so if you happen to miss the 8:15 bus you will have to walk to the hotel, about 30 to 40 minutes. That happened to us twice and after one day of walking in Venice the last thing you want to do is more walking to the hotel. The crew at the hotel was again excellent, helping me book on the phone a tour at the Doge's Palace and promptly responding to our needs, for instance one extra bed was brought to the room upon request.

"Very good hotel"

mussi2016, Vejen, Denmark 23/07/2016

Choose this hotel if you are traveling to Marco polo AirPort venice and want to go to venice - very good service - the hotel are Nice and clean - good aircondition and the Price is ok for what you Got - free wi-fi and only 3 euro for a trip to venice and back - bustransfer to the AirPort - 6 euro

User 18/07/2016

Apart from a receptionist who had locked the door at midnight, and who then fell asleep, leaving my girlfriend locked out side and banging the window for 20 minutes to get back in (she did call me too, but I think I was allowed to sleep as I wasn't working!!) the remaining staff were very helpful and polite. Best Western is situated about 10km away from Venice, you can buy tickets from the reception for the public buses, and the bus-stop is just outside on the left (DON'T FORGET TO PRESS TICKET AGAINST THE DIGITAL SCREEN IN THE BUS TO VALIDATE IT). The rooms were sufficient enough, cleaned every day,and the shower is great. I would recommend it to people who are staying outside of Venice, even after the little mishap of locking the doors!!

"Best Plus ..not only in the name.. in Service too"

kanchikaruna, kanchipuram 18/07/2016

We stayed one day in this best hotel. The "Best Plus" is not only in the name. Each and every places like rooms, dining, reception, hall and services like WIFI, cleanliness everything it reflects. The breakfast consists of many fruits, Juices highly suitable for vegetarian also. Enjoyed with pleasure during the stay and the opportunity for stay, if comes once again, it will be the golden chance for us.

"Best Rooms"

User 11/07/2016

This place was great to stay at as the rooms are quite spacious and you have everything you ever need. My fiance and I stayed here for a few nights as part of our Europe tour and we enjoyed it quite a lot as it is relatively close to 'Mestre' the main land of Venice. However the only downside was there was no shower door so the floor was always wet

"Another great stay this time with family"

LawrenceBell, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia 08/07/2016

This my second time staying at the Best Western Quid. Previously I was on my own and had a single room. This time we took the double room option for our family and everything was perfect. After flying 15 hours from Bali it was nice to go to the mall door for fresh fruits and vegetables and things that we forgot. It close proximity to Venice which makes for an easy venture into the city without paying the outrageous prices of Venice hotels.

"Nice comfortable hotel. Helpful & friendly staff."

Ana C, Toronto, Canada 07/07/2016

Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport is a nice clean, modern hotel in a quiet area. It took us about 15-20 minutes and about €40.00 taxi fare to get there from the airport. Decent sized room. Beds were comfortable. Clean bathroom with all the up to date amenities. Wifi was working great. The bus stop to Venice was within walking distance. There was a mall about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. (However the direction was a little confusing. We asked several different people; they all pointed to a different direction). Our luggage was being delayed during transit. Luckily there was a big supermarket inside the mall so we could buy all the necessities. There was also a food court where we could grab a quick bite before rushing off by taxi to Venice. (Since we spent quite some time dealing with our lost luggage at the airport, we were left with very limited time to explore Venice). Just for info, the pizza in the food court was pretty good and reasonable priced. Taxi fare cost €40.00 from hotel to Venice. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The patio was a comfortable place to have breakfast with cool breeze and sunshine in the morning. All the staff from the front desk to breakfast room was super friendly and helpful. Making us feel welcome and comfortable.

"A Modern Escape in Mestre"

HoneyBrown1976, Los Angeles, California 01/07/2016

When I looked for a hotel in Venice upon my return from a cruise, I wanted one close to the airport but stylish. I found one. The Best Western Plus Quid Hotel served the purpose by offering great customer service and modern, comfortable facilities. For example, a bathrobe and slippers await you. Also, complimentary snacks and drinks (Coke, water, fruit juice) await you in the refrigerator provided. Along with a comfortable bed, the best shower I've ever experienced awaited us. While there are satellite channels in Italian, push the English subtitles, if necessary. Also, there's a mall with a supermarket nearby (walking distance), if you choose to watch your food budget. We enjoyed our stay and, if we're ever in the area again, another stay will be granted. Recommended!

"Good hotel but not near airport"

DavidUK_12, Rochester, United Kingdom 30/06/2016

Clean hotel with lovely rooms of good size. Great staff on reception. Breakfast plentiful. Certainly not near airport - taxi fare was 50 euros, but hotel offers shuttle service for 6 euros per person. Bus journey to Venice was 30-45 mins.

"Clean and tidy with great restaurant"

cfurnace17, Campbelltown, Australia 28/06/2016

I stayed at this hotel a couple of night during a 3 week tour of Europe. The rooms are clean and good size for a few nights stay. The breakfast is very varied and the restaurant and bar is very nice. They also provide an airport shuttle for €6 which is great as a taxi will cost you €40. It is very easy to get into Venice island with a €3 return bus/tram ticket you buy at reception. I would recommend this place to stay in Venice.

"modern hotel in a quaint area."

JUDEBOY3, Mumbai (Bombay), India 14/06/2016

Beautiful hotel, Helpful reception(Masimo and his friend were very helpful,,especially masimo was good in giving directions in detail and more)....beautiful area,,,BIG supermarket "AUCHAN" 10 minutes walking time(will take 3-4 hours to cover the whole mall,,also stock up on ur alcohol and food.which is integral part of a vacation,,besides connectivity and location of ur hotel) At the mall check out ALICE pizzas which are very good and v.very comfortable rooms n usual the shower spilles over and makes the bathroom floor wet,,good hotel to stay with good connecivity to venice via tram n bus. 20 MIN away.

SharynTheBasin, The Basin 12/06/2016

The Quid hotel is a modern comfortable hotel ideal for travellers looking for a quiet hotel - free wifi - a restaurant and bar with easy access by bus to central Venice ( €6 round trip ) - staff are friendly and informative and the beds are comfortable

"Stay here please nor Venice itself"

MalcolmandSue, Devon UK 12/06/2016

Stay here, relax in quiet area, catch easy and quick bus + tram into Venice, save hundreds of pounds, stay longer etc etc. It all makes sense. Breakfast great at 4 euros pp. Staff know how to treat tourists as well as businesspersons, rooms lovely and quiet and we'll air conditioned.Nearby there is an eating place as well as the hotel's restaurant. Parking free and easy. Ask hotel for sat navigation number before you drive there to make things easier. We could not think of anything to critisise about this hotel! Would have no hesitation about returning. Venice is beautiful, unique and should be on everyone's list of must see places and, if you want to pay 3 times the BW rate, then do stay near the Grand Canal or on the Lido etc etc. But if you want to treat yourself to an 80 euro gondoliers ride for 30 minutes then stay at the BW because you'll be spending plenty in Venice itself. Just have 3 days at the BW, spend heavily in Venice and return to an oasis of calm. That's far better than spending loads on a Venice hotel and depriving yourself of a snack in St Marks square where you can watch the multicultural world go by!

"Overnight stay before our cruise out of venice"

acgreene2016, Stuttgart, Germany 31/05/2016

We arrived in venice via train and realized that Maestr station was the closest, so we got off there. We then took the bus to the hotel as described in the hotel details on how to get to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel does not tell you when to get off the bus. it tells you which direction to go, but doesn't say which stop to get off. We tried to figure it out and realized one stop had the same street name, so we assumed we would get off there. the bus system in Venice is very different. Each stop listed does not indicate there is only one stop. there are multiple stops with the same name and you have to know which one to get off. We picked the wrong one since we weren't aware of this strange bus system. this left us walking for about an hour to the hotel which was EXTREMLY frustrating considering I had done the research to get the bus directions. You can imagine I was pissed when I got to the hotel, but to my surprise the hotel was beautiful and the staff was awesome. The room was great and the breakfast had a lot of options. The hotel also sell bus/tram/people mover tickets to get you to venice and also to the cruise port. Our stay was only one night but it was wonderful. The only change I would suggest is that the hotel give more specific directions on how to take the bus to their location

"Good place to say"

Bernhardstauner, Adelaide, Australia 29/05/2016

This hotel is part of the tour we are on, it is clean, very comfortable, and handy to the airport. It has a restaurant which is reasonably priced, room service is also available at €5 per person extra It is a €30-35 taxi trip into Venice, taxi service is available from the bus terminus at Venice

"Lovely 3 day break"

samdodd81, Staffordshire, United Kingdom 28/05/2016

Hotel was great.10 mins from airport and 30 from venice. Rooms modern and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful with good range. Bar was relaxed. Staff helpful and friendly. Venice is beautiful - loved it

"Good value, good location, moldy bathroom"

User 24/05/2016

This hotel in Mestre offers a good value compared to hotels within Venice. A bus/tram connection brings you to Piazzale Roma in 20-30 minutes (depending on the connection). Unfortunately, the bus runs every 30 minutes only, hence you need to plan your travel. The check in process was swift. We came around 5pm and our room was ready. The bed was clean but the bathroom was moldy, especially the sealants. Our family room was small for 2 adults and 2 kids. Breakfast was okay but getting boring after a few days. Tips: order your coffee/espresso/cappuccino from the waitress. It is much better compared to the coffee from the machine. If you arrive with car, the hotel offers free parking. Just a few block away, there is shopping mall for groceries (e.g. Auchan), clothing, food, etc. Overall, this is a good option to stay when you visit Venice.

"Overnight stay before our Trip home"

mikeb0449, Bridgewater, New Jersey 21/05/2016

The room was modern and spacious, the amenities were adequate and the shuttle service to the airport was reasonable. Overall the hotel was perfect for an overnight pre-flight stay as it was only 15 minutes to the airport. For an extended stay it is fairly isolated.

"Overnight stay was excellent."

Robert B, Ringwood, Australia 20/05/2016

Stopped overnight before my bike tour of the Dolomites. Staff were all brilliant. Very good room, well appointed. Breakfast was your typical hotel fare but with an Italian cheese selection as well. Check in, check out was a breeze. Do yourself a favour. Highly recommend.

"Conveniently located by the airport"

Jbmisch, Miramar, Florida 19/05/2016

After spending some days in Venice with a hotel along the canals- we knew a much needed rest from the hustle and bustle was needed. We took a cruise out of the Venice port and after returning checked into the Quid hotel a little further out and closer to the airport. Flight the next morning would be departing at 7 AM so finding a water taxi and all the walking that early seemed a little inconvenient if we'd stay by the grand canal. Upon checking in that Friday morning, we took a bus to Venice to further explore (bus stop was like a 3 minute walk to the main road and 20 minutes from Venice) We also arranged for airport shuttle in the morning that would take us to the airport at 5 AM (10-15 minute ride) Overall, it was super convenient. Nice rooms- all renovated and free wifi. A few issues noted- bathroom floods a little when showering. Not a huge deal since I usually put a smaller towel down anyway to soak it up, but there's no way around it. My second gripe was the air- conditioning. The thermostat in the room would not work and it was hot. I tried calling the front desk but there was absolutely no way to communicate- and nothing indicating how to do so on the phone. I was already in pajamas and did not want to make my way all the way downstairs so I just opened the windows which helped but then again did not shelter us from the noise. The next day I brought it up to the front desk staff who told me the windows were open which is why the AC wouldn't work. My room key was plugged in and my windows were closed before I decided to open them because it was so hot but whatever. It was a great option nonetheless to stay there since it all turned out to be so convenient.

"Once you find it, its great!"

Saphora, Montreal 18/05/2016

Google maps told me to turn right on Via Terraglio, coming off the motorway. Should have been left. I should have paid attention to the sign on the lampost! Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Bus stop to Venice mestre is 3 minutes walking. Wi-Fi Throughout the hotel. Great choice at the breakfast buffet, with at least 3 excellent coffee machines.

"Very Good Hotel"

paulkondos, Melbourne, Australia 18/05/2016

We stayed at this Hotel Twice ( Two Couples) in September and October, The rooms are very large, the staff are very helpful, all the Amenities are very good, Close to the Airport, shuttle bus is available,5 minute walk to the buses, breakfast and Food is very good. 10 minutes walk to a Fantastic Large Shopping Center, Fashion Designer Clothes,Good restaurants and takeaway, one of the best and largest Supermarkets, better shopping than Venice, The Hotel is situated in quite area. We would stay there again, when traveling to Venice

"Great hotel"

nicko4, Chicago, Illinois 16/05/2016

The rooms are very well appropriated with great beds and plenty of space. It was very clean. The staff is the best. They gave us excellent direction for taking public transportation to get to all our sites. They also have a great breakfast in the morning. They have more than just a continental breakfast.

"Close to VCE & a bus + tram to Venice"

ncworldexplorer, Atlanta, Georgia 10/05/2016

Close to VCE and easy enough to get into Venice. The rooms and clean and modern, everything you need. Shuttle to the airport was less than 10 minutes. There's not all that much to eat within walking distance but if you spend the day in Venice you've probably filled up there

We stayed here for 3 nights for Valentine's Day weekend. Hotel was close to the airport but along a busy motorway. Wasn't much on offer in the area however there is a bus top that takes you into town, with a pretty straight forward route into Venice (hotel reception sells bus tickets and provide a map which was really helpful). We had b&b board and was pleased with the breakfast Buffett. The one day we planned to eat in the hotel restaurant didn't go to plan as the kitchen was closed. They did however have a free buffet that we could help ourselves to. All an all a pleasant stay but not the best location if you plan to spend most of your time in Venice.

"Front desk staff very helpful.A bus into City is just a 5 minute walk away."

Gerard D, Windsor, Canada 04/05/2016

Our travel agent set us up here and we had a great stay. A hotel employee picked us up at the airport and drove us to the hotel. Very nice clean and a short walk to a grocery store and bus stop. i would stay here again.

"Pleasent experience in Venice"

User 28/04/2016

The hotel is conveniently located in Mestre and is easy to get to by car from Treviso Airport. There is free onsite parking. The internet in the rooms is very good. Although, not a perfect location to visit Venice because of the bus service, it is not difficult. The rooms are good and clean. The breakfast is same everyday and is fairly adequate.

"Good cook"

Dana78, Bucharest, Romania 27/04/2016

Very convenient hotel for a Venice trip. Reasonable price, free parking, helpful staff. The breakfast was also good, with a generous cookies selection. Tasteless omelette tough, also coffee did not impress me in any way, altough at first glance there seemed to be plenty of options to chose for. What I found outstanding, however, was the dinner menu. The cook really knows his business, we had a portion of deep fried fresh seafood with vegetables tempura, pasta with shrimps and one portion with ragu for the child - all delicious. I never order deep fried seafood, as usually it tastes of no seafood at all, but this time I really regretted not having done it. I tasted from my husband's dish and it was the most tender and tasty deep fried seafood I have ever eaten. The freshness of the ingredients was really there, from the fish to the cooking oil. Really great! The tiramisu at the dessert was served in a cappucino cup and was also good. I would recommend eating dinner there, it is really worth every penny - for us it was around 90 eur for 2 adults + 1 child (kids menu is also available), one wine bottle included.

"Very Care Taking Experience"

Maxiestar, Washington, DC 20/04/2016

I want to thank the many excellent staff persons at the Quid Hotel who helped us during a medical emergency. They are: Massimo, Ahmed, Martina, Irene, Mauro, and Adriano. If I missed anyone, my apologies. My husband broke his ankle on the flight to Venice. He had to have emergency surgery. My Venetian friend booked me into the Best Western Quid hotel because it was near the Mestre hospital. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. I explained my situation and they helped me get my luggage from left luggage at the airport, a wheelchair from a local medical supply company, and moved us to a handicap accessible room when my husband was discharged from the hospital with a very large, heavy cast on his leg. Both rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. I just cannot say enough positive things about the staff. At a time when my husband and I were feeling overwhelmed and confused, the staff helped us sort through many difficult situations. I highly recommend this hotel for individuals who want to stay in the Mestre area.

"Handy location, clean and tidy with parking"

UrbanTraveller88, London, United Kingdom 14/04/2016

We stayed at the hotel in March 2016 after arriving from a cruise. We received a friendly greeting and was given a brilliant room on the ninth floor. The hotel is situated on an industrial park but it is nice and quiet. There is a bus stop right outside which takes you into Venice and only takes about 20 minutes. The restaurant menu looked expensive so we found a great place just behind the hotel selling chicken and burgers.

"Very good hotel for the money."

VentsiBeast, Plovdiv, Bulgaria 06/04/2016

This is my second stay at this hotel. I chose it for my 2-day stop at Venice for the reason that it's away from the crowds and it's a modern, clean hotel. I'm not a fan of the old-school hotels in Venice. We were greeted at the desk by very kind receptionist. Room was given to us quickly. It was clean and nice, not very luxurious, but minimalist designed and spacious. My only complain is that the elevators are quite noisy, so it's better to choose a room away from them. The breakfast was surprisingly good, containing the most important meals with a very good quality. There is free parking in front of the hotel. Whenever I'm going back near Venice, this will always be my first hotel to consider.

"A good modern hotel"

goyalair, Gurgaon, India 01/04/2016

Stayed two nights. Good hotel with well furnished rooms, small but functional bathrooms. Comfy beds. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. Free wifi with good speed. Location is on suburbs but have good shopping areas nearby. Direct bus links to venice city in 30 min else bus/tram link to venice city.

"Excellent hotel"

Adriangp1963, Westbury, United Kingdom 27/03/2016

Stayed for two nights after a cruise so we could visit venice. Excellent room and the receptionist were very helpful. Breakfast was included and was continental style. Free wifi and checkout at 12. We paid a further 30 euro to keep the room til 6pm as we had a late flight. To get there take the T1 tram towards favuro and get off at mestre central, then get 8E bus towards prezogli. Quid Hotel can be seen on the left get off at the stop opposite the car showrooms after going under a bridge. Takes in total about 45 min from Venice pizzale roma. Bus/tram station

"Modern affordable hotel - good location for a visit to Venice"

Dorota1234, La Prairie, Canada 12/03/2016

We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Plus Quid Hotel Venice Airport - prior and after our cruise to the Greek Isles. The hotel is outside Venice but well connected by bus - there is a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you to Venice in about 25 minutes for 3 Euros return. We even took the bus with our luggage as it arrives very close to the cruise terminal in Venice. The rate of the hotel is half of what you would pay in Venice, also there is a shuttle that can pick you up from the airport at a nominal fee (you can reserve the day before your flight by emailing the hotel). There is a HUGE shopping center 10 minutes from the hotel, where you can find restaurants, groceries and plenty of stores.. The hotel itself is clean, modern and comfortable. The rooms are a lot larger than standard rooms in the city. Overall, it is a good option for someone who wants a good accommodation, and does not want to pay the steep price of Venice hotels.

"Overnight stopover "

daveconnects, Stafford, UK 27/02/2016

Arrived late into Venice Marco Polo Airport and picked this hotel as a stopover before heading up to the Dolomites to ski. Really good hotel. Rooms spacious, modern, very clean with an excellent shower room. The whole hotel looks recently refurbished with high quality furnishings both in the bedroom and lobby. Staff were both efficient and friendly. The breakfast offered a wide and excellent choice. Would definitely recommend and would stay again in this hotel if in the area.

User 22/02/2016

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Venice, but it is well connected with public transport. For 3 euros you can buy a return ticket and travel to the heart of Venice takes 30 minutes (bus and tram) has free parking, the staff is friendly and the food is good and varied. The hotel rooms are modern and new and very pleasant and have all. hotel price for 2 persons in February amounted to 68 euros inclusive of tax. A good choice for those who come by car and a beautiful home after a long walk Venice. A much better choice than in Venice, because you have no where to park the car and parking costs about 35 euros and then still have to drag suitcases through the streets of Venice where you'll pay too expensive old damp hotel.

"Feels just like home"

Irene H, Madrid, Spain 17/12/2015

Been staying at this hotel a couple of times for work and I have to say that it feels just like home. The attention at the reception is great as well as the rooms and all the services. Maybe missing some healthier options for breakfast but it's not too relevant. The offer a lovely buffet at the bar so you can relax with a tasty spritz while eating something. By the way I would like to highlight the service from Luca at the bar who has always treated us perfectly anytime we go there.

"Met all expectations"

Nikolay P, Moscow 05/12/2015

We spent one night here in Dec 2014. Room: The room was clean and comfortable, but not very spacious. And with rather scary paintings on the walls. Location: The hotel is located in business zone of Mestre – nothing interesting around. The best way to get to Venice is a taxi. Breakfast: The breakfast was rather good but lacked the variety. Parking: The hotel offers free underground parking! Check-in / Check-out: We didn't experience any problems here. Internet: It was free and fast. Overall: This hotel is a very good option to stay in Mestre for business or for visiting Venice (if you can afford a taxi). It is also a perfect place to stay if you are travelling by car.

"Best Western Quid in Mestre, Italy"

Deborah G, Florida 27/11/2015

The Best Western Quid is in a good location if traveling by car in Italy. The bus schedule has changed recently so that you must take either two buses or one bus and the tram into Piazza Roma. The hotel is clean and provides a complimentary breakfast, which is good. If staying for just one night and need to go to the airport or cruise terminal this is a fair choice since the hotel is located in a commerce area (few eateries near the hotel).

"Modern, quiet and great value for money."

This hotel, 15 minutes in a taxi or by shuttle from Venice (Marco Polo) Airport is a real find. Modern, quiet, and breakfast is included. It's a decent breakfast too with everything you'd want. The room had both tea / coffee making and a Nespresso maker! Very helpful staff. The hotel has their own airport shuttle van.

"20 min taxi from airport. Bus, tram, water taxi to st marks sq about 1half hrs!"

rockySouthWales, south wales 08/11/2015

This is not an easy or convenient hotel to stay in if visiting central venice ! We stayed as an excellent pre cruise deal with iglu! Hotel is modern business type on an industrial estate. Room was boiling hot! Awful. But immaculate, soft towels and bedding ! Shower was doorless so water spilled out everywhere. Nice nespresso machine. Typical italian breakfast, really good. Nice cappucino to order but machine ones were ok too. To get to st marks square the very helpful reception will sell bus/tram tickets. Very cheap few euros ea. Bus is 5 min walk. Then 20 min on bus, change at mestre centro 2min walk, to a tram which is about 30min. Then purchase water taxi tkts from office of newspaper booth €7.50 ea one way. Which is 2min from tram. This takes about 40 mins due to numerous stops! We missed our bascilica and doges meet time but a quick phone call and they rearranged time. Great trip ! We ate in hotel restaurant very nice, very small portions. Wine 25 eu house red. Lovely food esp tiramisu! 90euros for 2 a light dinner! Would prefer to stay in centre though

Great hotel, modern, clean, spacious. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is alright, takes about 25 minutes by bus/tram to get into Venice. The good thing is that the bus stop is very close to the hotel. Great Pizzaeria close by for dinner

"Modern business hotel with comfortable accomodation"

stephenjason, Singapore, Singapore 05/11/2015

Quid Hotel Venice Airport is very modern and comfortable business hotel. Everything you would expect is in place - very freindly staff, clean rooms, nice flat screen TV, delicious breakfast, and enjoying an Apero Spritz cocktail pre-dinner with bar snacks are a must. The only negative is less about the hotel, and just the location if you intending to be a tourist in Venice. It takes about 90 minutes to catch the bus and tram to get to the city centre. Secondly, there are not many restaurants in the vecinity of the hotel. Avoid the Galloway restaurant behind the hotel. The hotel has no gym, but you can use the Virgin fitness centre nearby at a reduced entrance fee.

"Excellent accommodation at a reasonable price. Will stay again."

HerculesC130, United Kingdom 05/11/2015

Having stayed here before on business, I thought this time I would treat my wife to a few days in Venice, staying at the Quid Hotel. It was just as good as I remembered and well placed for visiting the tourist areas. Reception speak excellent English and were very polite and welcoming. The booking in process was quick and easy and our quiet room on the 7th floor was spacious and immaculately clean. The FREE Wifi worked well, air con was good and parking is free just outside the hotel. Breakfast is not quite up to the standard of the rest of the place with what appears a chaotic level of service. When tables needed clearing, all the staff were putting out more food. When food needed putting out, all the staff were clearing tables! There didn't seem to be any organisation of staff at all, with them all doing their "own thing". Also, the noise levels in the canteen style breakfast area can get quite loud, not really a calm pleasant eating experience at all. However, when the food was available, it was of reasonable quality and with plenty of choice, so not a total disaster and certainly not something to put you off staying here. The restaurant in the evening was quite empty, and a look at the choices and prices were most probably the reason, although the ambience looked pleasant enough. There is a cheap option restaurant nearby, where you can get "fast food" as in chicken & chips or pizza if you are on a budget. Big portions and cheap, but not for the person looking for a gourmet extravaganza. Lastly, beware if you have a Best Western rewards card. If you book this hotel through, etc then you will NOT get the full Best Western Rewards points. Not a lot of people know that. All in all, we would definitely stay here again especially if you can get a good price.

Avail, Sligo, Ireland 03/11/2015

Stayed here on our last visit to Venice, hotel and all of its facilities are excellent, modern and spotless. It is quiet a bit to Mestre, but there is a very good bus service which passes every 15 mins or so.behind the hotel is a great american style restaurant with wide variety of foods to suit all tastes and prices to suit all purses. massive shopping mall walking distance away with all the usual stores and eating centers.

"Amazing.. Our best stay in Italy"

User 02/11/2015

The best western quid hotel delighted us in every way possible.. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety.. The restaurant was expensive though but the staff was very helpful in telling us about the near by pizzeria.. We ate at Galloway a cool hip place nearby.. The room..the bathroom and the complimentary snacks in the room.. All left us smiling.. Will recommend this hotel to all if you do not mind a short ride on the bus to Venice :)

"Top marks"

RichardEditor, Menai Bridge, United Kingdom 01/11/2015

Well priced and convenient for Venice by public transport (plenty of parking at hotel) with clear instructions for travel given by friendly and remarkably helpful reception staff. Room spacious, beds comfortable, bathroom splendid, Internet connection good, only downside was the room was rather too warm (winter and air conditioning switched off). Breakfast included in the price excellent. The hotel was very clean, spacious and light. Restaurant rather expensive and on the night I ate there service not efficient although waitress was charming - they seemed understaffed. However, within 10 minutes walk there is a superb, modern shopping centre, although didn't notice any restaurants the range of take away food was mouthwatering and tables to sit at to enjoy it plentyful. Near to the hotel was a 'restaurant' called Galloway - would not recommend that. Would book this hotel out of choice and have already been back once.

"Venice without breaking the bank"

Scipoletta, Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey 25/10/2015

This hotel is not far from the airport. The rooms are nice and clean. Hotel looks new. Its a small hotel, but only 1 block to the bus into Venice. The ride is about 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly. The food at the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was a buffet and included in the price with a large selection of foods to choose from. I would go back.

"Comfortable But Only Good for a 1-2 night stopover no Red Carpet here."

ginapeterb, London UK 23/10/2015

We booked 2 nights here, because its in Mestre Area, and out of Venice, because we collected a car at Venice Marco Polo, be careful with the route to this hotel, its simple on the map, but without your own Satellite Navigation in the car, it would have been awkward to find (we had a mishap, our Nav packed up, it took us 1 hour 30 minutes to keep stopping and asking people, how to get there) the Hotel is fine, its in an industrial area sort of (retail park complex), there is a supermarket and retail area about 5 minutes drive away, the room was fine, good quality beds, adequate towels in shower room, generally a nice room, but thats where it ended, there was coffee and tea making facilities in the room, but no milk or creamer, on the 1st night, we were tired and couldn't be bothered to go and ask, the next day when we cam back from our trip into Venice, I went down to reception and told them there was no Milk or creamer in the room for the tea and coffee, and they shrugged their shoulders, and said, ok I will give you 2 ??? Not impressed !, The hotel breakfast room is like a Canteen, and nothing more, we could not sit down on the Sunday morning, as the hotel was over crowded with people going down at around 8 to 8.30am for breakfast, and it opens at 7am, with no where to sit, we had to wait until someone vacated a table, then the tables were filthy and the staff there were overwhelmed with cleaning the tables for new guests, the breakfast consisted of hot and cold items typical Italian offering, Scrambled egg, streaky bacon, boiled eggs, sausages, and cold items, cheeses hams and breads, etc, what you would expect, and pastries, coffees, nice cappuccinos, etc, the breakfast itself is ok, the waiting for a table, and hanging around, looks like a bus station cafe at best. The Lifts were irritating, for one thing, they are slow, very slow, and always full at peak times, and it took a long time to call down the lift to ground floor, its only a minor irritation but at peak times, it will appear a bigger irritation on your stay, they could be better, and other hotels, have far faster lifts, I am sure. I would say, use this hotel if you have a 1 to 2 night stopover, don't use it for any longer, it isn't going to roll out the red carpet for you, and only use it if you are coming by rental car, the hotel shuttle is available to VMP airport, but only at certain times, and costs I think E6.00 per person per journey, there is on site parking and its free, WIFI is also free, and worked very well, we chose it because of price, and price is the key, you get what you pay for, the staff issue was a mixed bag, first night very friendly and helpful, 2nd night, indifferent and not helpful, overall, I would say, its ok to use at weekend, but anytime other than that...look for somewhere else.

"Great hotel in every way!"

bufflehead123, Nanoose Bay, Canada 22/10/2015

This hotel is modern, clean, comfortable and close to the bus route to take you right into old Venice. It also offers a very good free breakfast, and the staff are so helpful I was really amazed. There is not much around this hotel except for a shopping mall a few blocks away, and the restaurant in the hotel is pricey, so don't stay here for it's location, besides being convenient to the airport and bus and train.

"Nice property, but terrible staff"

Karen T, New York City, New York 11/10/2015

I stayed here about a month ago with a friend for one night because we were leaving on a cruise from Venice, and arriving late at night so we wanted to stay close to the airport. I emailed the hotel a few weeks before to see if they could arrange a car for us from the hotel to the cruise terminal. They were very nice, and said that we could set it up when we arrive. Our flight ended up getting delayed 12 hours in Istanbul on our way to Venice, which as you can imagine was very stressful. I had my father call the hotel to let them know that we would be arriving in the morning because of our delay so that they keep the room for us. We arrived at 7AM, the hotel itself is very nice. The lobby, the rooms, the outside, it's esthetically gorgeous. The gentleman that checked us in on September 13th at around 7AM was not so nice. He was very rude for no reason, and when I asked him about booking the shuttle to the cruise terminal he told us we would have to take a taxi, and that the price was going to be 5 times what they told me weeks prior via email. When I told him that I had been communicating with someone via email at the hotel and received different info, he told us that there was a shared van leaving for the cruise terminal at 1PM if we wanted to take it. We said that would be fine, and then I asked if they accepted credit cards for the shuttle. He just gave me a hard no. I came to Italy with a little bit of Euros, becasue we planned to have time on Sunday to exchange money or withdraw (which was not the best decision, I know). I asked him if there was an ATM anywhere, to which I received another hard no. No offer to help problem solve, he just didn't care. He said you can probably figure something out. We were so tired after traveling for 36 hours (from NYC to Italy) that we just went to our room to go to sleep. When we woke up for breakfast 2 hours later, which was pretty descent, and we stopped at the front desk and spoke with a woman who was also very cold and rude for no reason. I asked her if there was an ATM near by, and right away she gave me directions to one that was in a mall down the street. So all of the sudden there IS an ATM??? Interesting... This hotel is full of employees that hate their jobs, and it really shows. I would never stay here again. It's not even anywhere near the heart of Venice, which honestly is the whole point of visiting Venice. When we came back from our cruise, we stayed at Hotel Serenissima and it was an absolutely amazing experience. It is in the heart of Venice, the staff is unbelievably amazing, and it's not that much more expensive than staying all the way in Mestre. Also, a cab ride from the airport to the Best Western Quid is 40 Euro, so don't think that it's a super inexpensive hop, skip, and a jump away. I highly recommend that you look into Hotel Serenissima, and that you shell out a little more cash for a much better experience.

"Great value for money - Excellent service."

Yna B, Stamford, United States 06/10/2015

Read reviews of this hotel on line, liked it and booked for three nights during our visit to Italy from USA. Excellent experience, room was very clean and breakfast was the best, lot of choices in breakfast, loved it every morning. The hotel is visible from main road, opposite to bus stand, you can even see from the bus stand, made it very convenient for local travelling. The hotel has a beautiful shuttle service, dropped us to our cruise dock in their shuttle and also dropped us to the airport. How much better you can ask for. Lot of convenience. The entire front desk staff was very helpful, specially Mr. Massimo who was of great help in guiding us for local travelling, giving us all the tips and made sure that we get our shuttle service in time. There was little issue with the breakfast as they charge extra for breakfast for the 2nd member. Only one member gets it free. It was fixed to our satisfaction by Mr. Massimo. Over all great experience. If Massimo is not available, Mr. Mario is another great person to deal with. We bought bus tickets and day pass for local travelling from front desk of this hotel, they were very helpful in day to day guidance as you need a good reliable source of advise in a foreign land. Over all very happy with this hotel and will certainly recommend it. Its all because of the friendly and helping attitude of employees who work there.

"Airport convenient, nicely-priced hotel"

User 25/09/2015

I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice hotel this was for the price. The room was very clean, recently decorated and had tons of room for our 6 pieces of luggage. The breakfast included in the price was very nice and convenient for a morning flight. The hotel owns its own airport shuttle that made it super easy and inexpensive to get to the airport. It is not very easy to get into Venice if you plan on spending time there the day before your flight. I'd suggest taking the hotel airport shuttle to the airport and taking a water taxi or shuttle into the city from there. All in all, though, for what we needed, this was a very nice hotel.

"Misleading - not close to the airport at all!"

User 24/09/2015

We needed a hotel close to the airport to spend the night, as we were arriving late in the evening and had to leave again early morning. We were completely mislead by the hotel name, as it is not close to the airport at all. It's a 15km ride, 36 euros by taxi. Another misleading point is the fact that the hotel says it has a shuttle to and from the airport, but in fact, the service is restricted to certain hours of the day. Do not stay there if you need a hotel located close to the airport!

CustomerCareIT, Responsabile relazioni con la clientela at BEST WESTERN PLUS Quid Hotel Venice Airport, responded to this review
Dear Mrs Vanessa, we are sorry your experience at our BEST WESTERN PLUS Quid Hotel Venice Airport did not meet your expectations. To be truth, we misled no one. Our hotel is located at only ten minutes from Marco Polo Venice Airport and it is connected with it by our shuttle service. The shuttle service is available at scheduled hours, reservation is required at least 24 hours before and it costs 6 € per person. This information is clearly expressed on our official web site (section “Location” > “Directions” and “Services” > “Shuttle Service”), as well as on all the main touristic platforms. Stephen K, Kendal, United Kingdom 17/09/2015

Modern hotel with good facilities, good breakfast, wifi & well placed between airport and Venice. Public transfer good and cheap but last direct bus out of Venice is at 8.35 which makes an evening out in Venice a little awkward.
