Best Western Bar Harbour Inn

This hotel is fine for when we visit family in the area. It's near alot of places (stores/restaurants) on the main drag so it's easy to get around. I've never used any of the amenities so cannot speak to them. There are not many other options, so whenever we visit our family in Amityville, we always stay here.

Relaxing stay, very comfortable beds, very clean hotel & rooms & excellent staff. Lighting was excellent & nice minimal. My friend visited from FL & my apsris too small, so decided to book hotel room for 2 nights to rest!

Romantic getaway gone bad they were not helpful i did not get the room I booked also was over charged an treated like a criminal I set up an awards account received none as well as the 2 nights get one free never got it

We stayed at the hotel overnight for a birthday party. it was the worst nights sleep I had in a hotel room ever. The bed was so hard it felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The AC/Heating unit was making a loud squeaking sound all night, keeping us up.

Great location very nice staff. The room was immaculate. My one and only complaint is that I had a room facing the main road. I could hear all the passing vehicles and the train at night. I would probably request a room in the back of the hotel.

We stayed here for one night closing our road trip through the USA. It is a very good hotel with a very friendly staff. It has a heated pool and 24-hour fitness center and a good outside parking space next to hotel. Rooms are spacious and breakfast was very good. They served one of the best bagels we have had in the States. Nearby there are quite a few restaurants and shops/shopping malls.

don't go there . They said 3 times there are microwaves in the double queen suites. they lied. There are no microwaves in any of the rooms. I like to have my coffee when I get up. not after getting showered and dressed and have to go downstairs to get it. they tried to give us a room that would have been a fire code violation.

Be sure to make notation when reserving if you have a room preference. Do not rely on calling and speaking to someone with request, as they do not make a notation of it! We called twice and spoke with someone who assured us we would have a downstairs, inside room. when we checked in they had not noted it. We received upstairs room!

We had a great experience while staying here for a family wedding. Donna and Arleen were amazing- they took good care of the free breakfast area and made sure the food was well stocked and the area clean. They were so friendly too. We will be back!

The family and I went to Long Island's Jones Beach for a vacation for the kids. We decided to stay in Best Western that was closer to the beach. The place was nice and clean with the staff being a very caring. One staff member by the name Donna went really out of her way to keep us welcomed. In the morning during breakfast time Donna went out of her way to help my family and I with waffle machine. Along with being caring she kept the dining area very clean. Thank you Donna for a pleasant stay.

The staff is friendly; room was clean and comfortable (although not fancy); the breakfast is hot with a good variety; location convenient to restaurants, shopping, freeway, train and activities. I will stay again in future when returning to the area.

We have stayed at this hotel each time we visited NY over the past 7 years. It condition of the hotel and poor customer service began after COVID and our last stay this month will be exactly that, our last stay st this hotel.

$320 for a 1 night stay i expected so much more. Not what I imagined. Room was clean but dreary. Parking lot is filthy.. people banging on doors at 2 am.. it served it's purpose, a place for a quick shower and a few hours of sleep, but didn't feel safe. For what I paid could have stayed at the Marriott or Hilton..

Roman betting, good location for family, breakfast was good. Enjoy the coffee maker with multiple options even hot chocolate. Good hot water and bathtub.:) well priced during the week…. Would consider going back when I need a hotel in the area again.

Don't expect anything fancy but it was a clean and comfortable stay for a night. Staff was nice. Breakfast was included and pretty nice. Parking was easy. Overheard staff and management going over cleaning protocols which is always nice to hear.

I had asked for a wheelchair-accessible room, but unfortunately, I didn't receive one. Since I have difficulty walking and standing for long periods, it was quite inconvenient. Additionally, I requested a late check-out from Ivy, and she granted it. However, another person called the room to inform us that there was no late check-out allowed. Then housekeeping knocked on our door, prompting us to leave. We were out of the room at 11:53, which was 7 minutes before the agreed late check-out time of 12 pm.

Iris made the check in at the front desk a breeze she was very kind amd welcoming. They had a wonderful assortment of beverages in the lobby available all day and breakfast was wonderful. Fresh fruit a hot breakfast and assortment of fresh pastries and muffins and cereal. Something for everyone and a very nice coffee amd tea machine. Our room when we arrived was cool they made sure to put ac on which was so lovely after a day at the beach. The room smelled very clean and was very esthetically pleasing. The beds were very comfortable and the sofa pullout was a nice option, we are a family of 4 and felt we had enough space to move around. The hotel staff obviously takes alot of pride here and do a very nice job. Our expectations were exceeded and the value was fantastic for a family on a budget. We will stay again!

Comfortable, clean and efficient. Smart building design/layout kept the sound of a busy Sunrise Highway completely unnoticeable. Staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast is always appreciated. Donna was especially delightful and her friendly personality reflects well on the place!

The location is convenient to LIRR, shopping, parkways. The breakfast was great (and so was Donna who worked it- she was the best thing about my stay). All rooms face parking lot. We stayed in room 111 - it was damp and dank - I thought I was staying in a basement. The sheets were damp and it was pretty gross that they never felt dry the entire stay (even after we put the heat on in the middle of July! to try and dry them and the towels out). Since ALL rooms face parking lot and HVAC intake is located on front room wall facing said parking lot, I got tons of cigarette and pot smoke in my room (no smoking allowed in rooms - which didn't stop somebody from blowing it into the bathroom fan and then it travelled to my bathroom. I understand NY is a pot friendly state, but when travelling with my young kids, it's just not the look/environment I want them in.) It needs a dedicated smoking area away from the rooms - the cigarette butts/empty packs left a lot to be desired (and I'm a former smoker!) Maybe the 2nd floor rooms are better and have no dampness (cause we were on ground level) and maybe they don't smell the smoke/exhaust fumes from cars as much as we did.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was. Our room was perfectly clean, and very modern. I previously read reviews and saw that some rooms were outdated, ours was not whatsoever. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was VERY nice! So much variety and Donna, the lady who seems like she runs it, was so over the tip friendly. She really made sure everyone was happy and had what they needed. I would 100% stay again!

Being a Diamond Member, we were automatically upgraded to a suite without any additional charge. The room was spacious and clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly. There was nothing more to say than the breakfast was more than adequate and the food area kept spotlessly clean.

We were booked in a motel-style room, which we did not know was a thing at BW. We were around the side where you entered the room from the outside. Also, the air was so humid all of our clothing and papers were damp. If you have any breathing problems, this room many be health risk (specifically room 128 where we were). We had to ask for items 3x not provided in the room (soap, "do not disturb" sign, bag for ice bucket). Also the internet was very weak. Overall, it was a most unpleasant experience.

First I signed a waiver and some other promise for not smoking in room. No problem - neither my wife nor I have ever smoked. We got in room (122) and were greeted with two flies flying around the room. The room smelled like cigarette smoke! (faintly). We should have asked for a different room at that point but we were in a hurry to clean up go to an event. We then discovered that the shower and sink drain were not draining properly- probably clogged with who knows what. When we came back to the room and tried to sleep we discovered the mattress was completely hollowed out. It was a deep concave shape that caused each of us to slide into the center of the bed. Finally my wife got the bed center and I tried to sleep on the narrow edge of the mattress however this didn't work as I fell out of bed twice during the night. At about one o'clock in the morning, I heard the next room door open and shut and a guy came out and smoked a cigarette directly in front of our room. The smoke fumes came directly through the in-wall air-conditioner and filled our room with smoke. That explained the faint smell from when we first checked in. The next morning I observed cigarette butts strewn all over the sidewalk in front of the room.

This hotel is the only one in the area so that's the only reason we booked. The first night there was a single chirp every 30 seconds. I figured a smoke alarm had a low battery. I traced it down to the room next to ours. You could hear it as soon as you got off the elevator. I asked the front desk to check on that room....and it obviously had to be empty. At about midnight and everything quiet.....except for the still chirping every 30 seconds I went back to the front desk and was told they would go up there right away and take care of it. The next morning once again I had to to to the front desk and they finally went to the room and fixed it. Later that day we purchased some soft drinks from a store and I went to get ice.....but the single ice machine was not working. The manager said it would be 45 minutes before they fixed it. A couple hours later there was an out of order sign on it, and it remains there still. Do they get some ice so guests can fill the ice buckets in the room? No. Then the TV stopped working. Not the TV itself but their satellite system. A few channels started working but still not working all day. Overall a very poor experience with this hotel.

It was a good place to stay except for arguing people keeping me up at midnight. People arguing and yelling at each other should not be tolerated after 10 pm. Noise issues should have been addressed immediately instead of doing nothing. Police should have been called.

Our overnight stay was very comfortable, and conveniently located on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa. However, the room is very clean and well stocked; but very small, and could use a chair and some luggage rests. The breakfast is one of the best we have enjoyed at any comparable hotel thanks to servers, Donna and Arleen. Donna even comes around to the tables and greets those dining. We always stay here when visiting family in Massapequa and will return.

After coming to town for a funeral we were left to find last minute accommodations. This hotel did not disappoint! Contnental breakfast was great, front desk service was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mary Ellen for all of your help. It was a sad weekend and the staff and hotel helped to make it bearable.

I Always stay at the location because it's close to Kings Avenue Tattoo in Massapequa. Easy to catch a train or Lytf anywhere you need to go. Lots of cool restaurant and Bar options to choose from. If you don't want to break the bank and save your money for eating out or shopping, please stop by and ask for Ms. KATHIE she is amazing.

Myself and my mother travelled from Ireland for the funeral of my aunt, may she rest in peace. From the moment we walked into this hotel we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. Katie on reception and a lovely lady who worked the food & refreshment area (I sadly didn't get her name) were so attentive and kind that the hotel became a home from home during our stay. I especially loved and appreciated the complimentary 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine available throughout our stay. Delighted by the availability of the little swimming pool and fitness centre. I am thankful for this entire experience at a time of grief.

I was able to pre-check in the day before I arrived. Once I arrived my room was ready, overly nice at the counter. The room was extremely clean you could still smell the bleach. The bed and pillows were comfortable too. I got back to the hotel late that night and the outside was bright, I didn't fear walking into my room. I would definitely stay here again.

No shampoo in room 109. Called front desk and she told me to come and get it which was difficult, to say the least, as I was in my birthday suit about yo get in the shower. Told me housekeeping would bring it to me. One hour later still waiting! Won't be back!

This hotel was in the perfect location for our trip to visit family in the area. Hotel was a bit noisy with some banging at various times during the evening. Also road noise and train noise due to the location. Breakfast was good, with a variety of products. Staff were helpful, friendly and our room was tidied every day during our stay. Even though staff cleaned, the place is old and needs update and serious TLC.

We came in for a Birthday party. Also to visit family. This was reasonable, and near stores, gas stations, restaurants, and the railroad station. Very convenient. Perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Many choices for breakfast which was included.

I stayed here with family and my bridal party so we had a place to get ready for the wedding. I would not recommend here at all. The door didn't work properly and it took us forever to finally get in (the staff knew about the door issue and still allowed guests to stay in it). The staff seemed unhappy to be there. The rooms all smelled and were filthy. The lights in one room didn't work and the fire detector was hanging by a thread in the other. I would not recommend.

During our stay, our clothes and bed linens were damp!!! Towels never dried after shower and mirror in bathroom still steamy 2 hours after shower. The room was small but serviceable and staff helpful and accommodating. Waffle machine broken and with a full house, ran out of many breakfast items on second day. Terrible experience

Room was fine. Ice machine broken entire month. Fitness center closed entire stay. Pool was closed most of stay. Breakfast was very few choices of bagged items. Room got cleaned every third day. Constantly had to ask for towels. Would not recommend

This Best Western needs a major overhaul. The rooms feel like a cheap motel yet the prices don't equate. The furniture in the rooms need to be trashed as they are old, worn, broken and outdated. The bathrooms need updating/remodeling. It was questionable whether the room was vacuumed prior to checking in. Definitely not a desirable place to stay. Pictures on the website make it look better than it is.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years while visiting family on Long Island & I have never had any issues. Stayed last weekend in May, check in was good & the lady behind the desk was very nice. The room was fine, 2 queen beds on 2nd floor no issues with anything. Continental breakfast was fine, the usual items. Will stay again.

Terrible service received during my stay , no one cares and they promise that they will take care of the issue, but they will not, look for another flag OR another hotel nearby if you have to be in this neighborhood

Room was dirty and musty; clothes in wardrobe came out smelling musty; roach on floor; previous occupants towels left on shower rod. Check in woman kept us waiting in line for 10 minutes while on the phone. New girl came in, didn't know how to do anything and needed first woman's help - all delayed because of lack of knowledge and the other on the phone. Power went out - no back up generator - causing check in further delays. Needed to make an appointment so had to come back later for room keys.

This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. It was dirty (dirty bedding, rust on lamps, dents/dirt on walls, burn mark/hold through comforter). It was also very loud and there weren't any amenities in the room (no mini fridge).

Love the whole experience at best Wester Hotel for Harbor Massapequa New York. It was the third time that I have been there. I do like the fact that it's near everything. I enjoyed the accommodations I think maybe some of it has to be upgraded but all in all I felt quite at home and so did the rest of my family. My daughter has a service to us and they were so cooperative the dog is a gem and not a problem but they understood and they were very very accommodating. Can't wait to come back again soon thank you

The Model (this is a Motel) was decent. It was exactly what I expecting for the amount I paid. I only needed a clean decent room for 1 night. I wanted something easily accessible. Well lit, on a major thoroughfare. The free self-serve breakfast was exactly what I expected. This motel was an 8 minute walk from Whole Foods, Hobby Lobby, Barnes and Nobles, Five Below shopping plaza. Kind of a bonus. The desk staff were pleasant.

Room was dirty. Used tissues on floor. Chair surface peeling. Peep hole stuffed with dirty tissues. air quality so bad my daughters asthma flaired and she had trouble breathing. When I checked out a day early they said it was fine and they would not charge for the second day. They emailed the receipt and it had the extra day on it. Since then, they have been impossible to work with and will not correct the bill. The hotel is dirty. The staff is rude and if there is a problem they say they will fix it and they won't. I have spent three phone calls trying to rectify this and it is still not resolved. Never stay here.

This was a very comfortable stay. After a rough week of work my partner and I decided to have a couple's get away and this place definitely felt welcoming and comfortable they have a pool and morning breakfast. Definitely would go back in the future.

This place was disgusting, the staff was rude, and there was water damage and mold in my room. It smelled musty. They never cleaned our room. They were terrible at customer service when we told the desk.

If you decide to stay, avoid them placing you in an outside room. Yelling at all hours of the day/night from the parking lot and neighbors. Dirty floor in the room with residue on the walls. Sewage odor from sink that was overwhelming even after reported. Weed and smoke smell constantly from people smoking in the parking lot and right in front of the doors. Zero rest to be had here.

The Best Western Bar Harbor Hotel is absolutely brilliant. Wonderful location near to transportation, shopping and restaurants. Great indoor swimming pool. Very nice gym to work out and get some exercise. Also the employees are truly professional in every way possible.

It's what you'd expect from a $100 motel on Long Island in the off season. Decent if you're in the area and need a room for a night or two. Breakfast is fine if you're looking for something quick and simple.

The room was filthy covered in dust. The comforter was ripped. There was a used mask under the bed. There was a broken electrical outlet cover completely exposing the wiring. The floor had stains on it.

The hotel is average for the price. The free breakfast is ok but slim by industry standards. The room was fair but could be cleaner (floors). Some of the front desk, specifically the young African woman, are very rude and disrespectful. This is not just based on my interactions with her. I noticed she spoke to other guest in person and on the phone the same way. She cannot deal with people. Give her a different job perhaps in housekeeping where she does not have to deal with people as much. I must add that I work in the industry and I stay in hotels about 250 nights a year. This is one of the rare times I had to pay for a room. I have never witnessed someone speaking to guest this way that still has their job. The manager must be aware of this because their office is right there. If the manager is making excuses the owner should look closely at the manager. Somebody is responsible for this epic failure. Will never return

Great stay for a sudden family funeral. We had 10 or so rooms and everyone was pleased during a difficult time. The staff , rooms and location were perfect. Many choices to eat ,drink and shop within walking distance.

This is always the best hotel to stay in. The people at the front desk are so helpful. The hotel is really nice, always clean and a great location. The beds are very comfortable. They also have a really nice pool. You will not be disappointed.

We traveled from out of state for our Aunt's wake and funeral. The room upon entry smelled of urine and cleaner. The room had residue as if wiped down with a dirty rag. There was urine and/or feces on the lid of the toilet, light switch and outlet were caved into wall, stickiness on furniture and floor. Thankfully I had sanitizing wipes with me to wipe down the room. I also wiped down the floor. You would not even believe the dirt and what not that came up off of the floor. Our son had new white socks on and after walking on the floor ever so briefly, they turned greyish/brown. We immediately brought up our concerns with the front desk and gave our cell phone number for the manager to call us back, (which was to no avail). I called corporate customer service thankfully. I should have known that this was going to be a hotel like this as upon entering the property there was a window with plastic over it and seeing how dirty the hotel lobby/elevator/outdoor stairs were. The front desk staff told us to go to our room incorrectly 2 times. Upon check out, she even gave us the wrong bill for a different room number. If we were not there for a wake/funeral, we would have left the hotel. It seems like an hourly rate motel. Be prepared to clean the room yourself should you choose to stay here. Our family rented 2 other rooms here as well, one didn't have soap and the other had to clean crud out of the fridge. They say that they have industry lead cleaning standards. Their excuse was lack of staff. If you rent a standard room, be prepared to carry your luggage up filthy outdoor stairs if they put you in a room on the second floor. You can hear everything through their paper thin walls/door/windows. They said that maybe they could change our room, but they were completely booked. I trust my cleaning over theirs anyway. Ummmm, hello, you are in a pandemic and this is your version of clean!? They need serious help at this hotel.

This motel is barely okay if you stay in the suite. The other rooms are on the small side. The suite is nice but there's not enough lighting. They need a lamp in the living room area because it's too dark and you can't read there. But the pool is a disappointment. It is freezing!! You can't use it. So don't stay for that reason. Things in the room need repair, such as the drain in the sink and the door lock. Other reviews discuss mold issues. We didn't have that, but that concerns me if part of the motel has that issue. There's no microwave in the room. Smaller motels have microwaves, so that's a drawback too, although the other issues are bigger issues, but still, they should have a microwave in each room when $80 motels even have them. You can tell they're cutting corners at this place. This place is poorly managed. I agree with the reviews that talk about the front desk staff -- they are rude, lazy and not willing to help, indifferent to the fact that you're standing right in front of them (one girl was on her cell phone and didn't care that we were standing right in front of her), and some of the front desk staff have trouble with telling the truth. We were told by a staff member elsewhere in the motel that yes, the pool was cold, but that the maintenance man wasn't there that day to do anything about it. Then the front desk staff told us that the maintenance man was unable to fix it. We were told by a third desk staff person that it's not "her responsibility." Uh, yes it is. What happened to treating the customer like we matter. And okay, which is it? The man wasn't there to fix it, or it's not their responsibility, or he couldn't fix it? Why are you being so defensive about your property? We know that the pool is ALWAYS cold because we stayed here a few months ago and it was cold then too. Another time, we asked one of the front desk staff if we could speak with the manager, and she said that there was no manager on the premises (poorly managed??? of course), but that was probably a lie because we saw someone in the room behind them who appeared to be a manager. We were treated rudely when we complained to the night staff at the desk about the pool. That was uncalled for. We were treated like we didn't matter to the girl in the morning who was busy with her cell phone and didn't have time to answer a question or check us out. We've given this place two chances. We're done, so not only won't be be staying here again, but we'll make sure we let people know not to stay here, and this review will hopefully get a lot of notice. I also filled out a survey for Best Western, so I did advise corporate about this place. I've stayed at Best Westerns before. Some of them are great. Some of them not so great. This was the not so great. Breakfast is a joke. There's nothing to choose from. There are no towels at the pool or the workout room, which should tell you that they really don't want you using the facilities. We stayed at a small motel the next night in another state, and that small motel had more amenities than this place, and the people were courteous. This place is poorly managed and they don't seem to care about their guests, about fixing the place, or about allowing you to use their pool or workout room. If you read some of the other reviews, you'll see that my review is similar to many about the pool, the staff, and the place needing repairs.

This is a decent motel if you stay in the suite. The other rooms are on the small side. The suite is nice but there's not enough lighting. They need a lamp in the living room area because it's too dark and you can't read there. But the pool is a disappointment. It is freezing!! You can't use it. So don't stay for that reason. Things need repair such as drain in sink and door lock.

Great staff at check in not so great in the morning during checkout. I was basically told I'm no longer important once it gets closer to checkout time . The checkin staff the housekeepers and maintenance were excellent . The front desk staff was horrible could hardly get one off of her phone and her headset while I tried speaking thru the small opening while she lounged in her chair this was my second z horrible experience with one of the two females this was my last stay as long as they show this behavior

The room was very clean in very good shape was very happy TV had premium Channels on it need it a refrigerator and a microwave and it would've been perfect Other than that I was very comfortable will probably use it again

After living on Long Island for 38years, I periodically return for holidays and family parties. I always stay at the BW in Massapequa Park because it is convenient and clean. It has an indoor pool and a decent size work out area. Coffee 24 hour availability

Nice facility with a great location to the LIRR and other major roads to go to local sites or NYC. Friendly staff, beautiful room, comfortable matress, free breakfast, nice amenities and great price provided super value to a very relaxing stay. Sorry we had to leave after 19 days.

Checked into room 219 on 9/30 for a 3 night stay, had to clean the floor, dresser and entire bathroom before we felt comfortable using the space (only hotel in area and a block booked for wedding). The staff did not seem to care about their guests and the cleaning staff appeared anxious to get out of work. The rooms are not "cleaned" daily, but this is never mentioned until you no longer have any towels and need to call the front desk. The floors outside the room was also extremely dirty with all sorts of spills and stains. Generally the entire hotel is a mess, better off booking some other place and driving an extra 20 to 30 miles.

This place is a mold-infested dump. Room was dusty and musty. Sheets were torn. On the bright side, I didn't wake up with bite marks so, at least there aren't bedbugs. Still pretty filthy. Unfortunately, there aren't many options in the area so plan ahead and book elsewhere.

we checked in on wednesday and the room was horrible and there was bugs flying in the room, half of the things in the room didnt work like the alarm clock. when i checked in i talked to the front desk and asked them for a 1 hour late checkout due to a personal reason, they said no problem. The day i checked out i was harrassed by the cleaning staff and the front desk and they had no recollection of my request. In addition, the hotel is dirty and not kept up to date . Please go spend your money somewhere at a nicer hotel. The pictures on the internet vs the actual room are two different things room was dirty nothing worked in the room breakfast horrible staff are liars

I've stayed at a lot of hotels and NOTHING compares to the mold problems going on here. I booked two rooms that had this serious issue but even walking past other rooms you can smell it as soon as they open the door. It seems every one of their outside corridor rooms has some major moisture issue. It's so bad the bed is moist and does not dry, you can see a lot of black mold on the walls and the smell is horrific. None of this is an exaggeration AT ALL I've just gotten off the phone with the Nassau County health department. There is no way maids and maintenance people can't tell the second they walk into any of the rooms. The hotel is well aware they have a serious health issue and are ignoring it. It gave my mother an asthma attack, I had to go to an event covered in hives. This place desperately needs an official to come shut it down. I've tried contacting the clerk for Massapequa Park and the code enforcers at the town of Oyster Bay. Our entire first story was underwater during Sandy and the mold/mildew and fungus issues were not even in this ballpark of bad. I booked direct through them so I can't leave this review on hotels.com but please don't stay here and if you did please contact the Nassau County Health Department to help explain the urgency of how bad these rooms are before someone gets seriously ill. There were these, what seemed like small swamp gnats and mosquitoes living around all the mold and fungus so whatever has been going on in these rooms has been going on for quite awhile. I saw another reviewer had management tell them it was because the hotel was close to the water. Not even close, I've lived much closer to the same water and that is most definitely not what is going on here. I've been in some pretty wet, dank basements and these rooms are still far worse. I cannot imply enough these rooms are not just dirty or in need of a deep clean, they are a SERIOUS health hazard.

Not as fancy as other Best Westerns that I have stayed in but VERY convenient location to family, restaurants, mall, train and reasonably priced. Bed was comfortable and shower temperature and water pressure good. Friendly staff; good free breakfast. Some extra room cleaning and renovations would be very helpful but comfortable and I will definitely stay again in future when returning to the area.

Stayed here during a high school reunion weekend. Room was quiet, bright and clean. Parking was nice and close. It was a central location, easy to find my way to the various meeting locations. It was wonderful to meet at breakfast with other classmates who were also staying there! I got a good price for the area.

This Inn is a dump!! Filthy room, cracks in bathroom wall, hair, yes I said hair, all over the supposedly clean bed. I knew as soon as I looked at it that it wasn't clean. That's what prompted me to pull the blanket back. The only positive part of this nightmare was that I never brought my luggage into the room.

Booked a stay but had to leave due to roaches! Manager refused to accommodate us and would not return calls. Had the nerve to bill us - even for the night we had to leave. Ladies of the evening in lobby when we checked in 8/18; hanging out in parking lot with locals when we returned that night. Terrible place!

We found bugs in our room in the morning. Reported them to front desk. Later, front desk said there were no bugs when they had it checked. Not the case as we found more that night and killed one to bring to front desk. We had to leave hotel without any help to find another place. Manager charged us for days there when I requested bill to altered. Bad, bad experience!

Toilet was not cleaned. Phone did not work. Asked for someone to come and fix it and a gentleman came into the room to try to fix it without a mask even though the hotel has signs before one enters the office that masks must be worn. The man had to leave the room to go and get a mask (did not even have one in his pocket.) Astonishing that their workers are allowed to enter customers' rooms unmasked. (Note: phone never did get fixed.) No luggage racks to put suitcases on. Bathroom moldy. The place looked and felt dirty to us. Trash bins outside our room were overflowing with garbage and seagulls had been into them and spread trash all over the parking lot. Not cleaned up until after 10AM in the morning. Won't be staying here ever again, paid a lot of money to stay in a dump.

Due to an error in communication the hotel canceled our reservation prior to our arrival. Mind you we were coming from 356 miles away to attend an event as vendors in Massapequa New York. The night manager had to scramble to get us a room. The room smelled intensely of mold, had a leaky pipes and we found a container of butane fuel ( mini canister) wedged in the pull out bed. The previous Occupants of the room had left a ton of glass shards between 1/2 and 1/4 of an inch in diameter and both my husband and myself injured our feet on them before the night manager came in and desperately tried to sweep them up but given that they did not have additional staff she was the only one available and it was too much work for a single person. Then we had to check out in the morning and pray that we had A room become available for that night. The second room was night and day to the first room it was clean and absolutely lovely but overall the experience was awful given what happen the first day. They also advertise breakfast being included what they offer is not a traditional breakfast but rather a few pastries some unidentifiable egg wrap product and a waffle station that looked cool but at the end of the day they don't specify that there have been changes made due to Covid & That would've been very helpful to know in advance. I do not recommend staying at Best Western. This was our first and last day we are never returning to this location again or any other best western property for that matter.

alerted front desk that there was mold in my room, they thanked me for alerting them and said someone would take a look, the pool was soapy and cloudy as if the laundry had backed up into it, I alerted the front desk and was told they were aware of the issue but for now that's just the way it is

With a few small fixes would give this hotel a better rating. Staff was amazing and very accommodating!! It's a older hotel with a great location. Two issues I had were with our room door needing to be fixed and the pool temperature. My kids loved our room location. Had trains passing by often but you were not able to hear them. They loved seeing the trains. Had a double Queen suite and it was one of the roomiest hotel rooms I've had at a 2 star hotel. Would stay there again in same room, hoping the door would be fixed and pool heat turned on.

Staff was nice front desk worker was cheerful and greeted all guests upon entry. This hotel has an outside concept all doors open to the outside not shared indoor hallways. Rooms were smaller sized but traditional 2 bed style rooms with bathroom and shower. Perfect price point! Excellent opportunity for great night stay and affordable.

Fantastic facility that offers many amenities. Wonderful staff of employees that are friendly. Very comfortable rooms. Terrific location with access to transportation and shopping. Near rental car facility as well.

Been here for 6 weeks in row, and in a different room every time. Seems like a revolving game of what's going to be wrong in this room this week. Slow drain,poor lighting, room door nearly uncloseable, carpet not vacuumed, heating/cooling control between rooms very inconsistent- not sure what brings people here, but everyday is an adventure.

We really enjoyed the fresh scent as soon as we entered the hotel. Great water temperature and pressure in shower. Very clean. Great reception on tv. Comfortable desk chair. Plenty of hangers in closet. Quality toiletries. Plenty of towels. Very high beds, very comfortable. Overall a great value.

Upon arrival, there was a half slice of pizza on the floor outside of our hotel room door. The staff were all walking around cleaning the rooms so we were sure that once someone saw it they would throw it in the trash. The next morning it was still outside of our door. The hotel room reeked of stale cigarette smoke even though the rooms are all non-smoking. There was a huge party that took place below us and it was very loud. We will not be staying again.

The location was great for visiting family but that was just about it. It started with the toilet paper roll was obviously from the previous guest, ripped up and mostly used, which we found to be a bit unsanitary. The shelves under the sink were only cleaned within arm's reach. The back of the shelves were filled with a layer of dust. They only provided one bath towel per guest. The television and dresser that it was on looked like it hadn't been dusted in quite awhile. The remote control had no cap on it so after we chased the batteries on the floor when they fell out, we had to hold them in place in order to operate the tv. Two lights didn't work and it was dark in the room to begin with. They only gave us one coffee pod for both of us, which ended up not mattering since there was no tray in the coffee maker to put it in to make a cup of coffee. The bed was the best (said with sarcasm)...The springs squeaked at any movement, right down to a mere sneeze. On the way out, there was a laundry cart blocking the stairwell, which we had to move with our luggage in hand to get out of the building...All and all, not a good stay and definitely not worth the money. This place compared to an old roadside motel.

Front desk worker was nice, but the first room was really moldy and smelled. There was visible mold on the decor, ceiling, walls etc. The smell was awful as well. Second room not much better, still mold in bathroom and a bit of a smell, but we dealt with it for the night. My husband is having an allergy attack due to sleeping with the mold and smell. Will never go back.

Stayed one night as we went around the coast of Long island. Only able to find one BW in the area where we went. Everything was fine at the hotel. CC worked on TV, as i have hearing problem. Computer worked great to check my emails at my business. Clean room and maintained property.

We love this hotel because it is so close to our daughter and her family. This wS our first stay since February and I felt very comfortable because all guidelines are being adhered to for Covid 19. We normally love the breakfast but were happy with the grab bags. We did go out to breakfast both mornings but the grab bags were nice for snacks during the day.

I've been staying here for the last 16 years whenever I travel through LI on the way to Montauk. Service, cleanliness and quality of customers is no longer the same. I'll probably not stay here again as this last visit grossed me and my wife out.

Room smelled like mold. Shower head blew off when I turned the shower on. Witnessed multiple drug deals in the parking lot. Very noisy. Definitely not a family friendly hotel. If you're looking to spend the night in a shady,dirty motel, this is the perfect place for you. Staff was friendly.

The beds were very comfortable the room very clean the beds are a little high if you are short like me you need a stool. The only complaint I had is I found it for a cheaper price and the wouldn't give me. other then that it was good

We stayed a week at the Bar Harbour Inn and it suited our needs very well. The Inn was well situated for our needs in a convenient location on a main artery and with convenient access to the LIRR station and local shopping mall(s).. It was only about seven miles from our destination so it worked well in this area where there are limited hotel facilities. Although there is no restaurant on site, numerous restaurants are close by. The Staff, both the Desk Staff, Housekeeping and the Breakfast Attendants were all very friendly and cordial and welcoming. The room furnishings were adequate and satisfactory, but seemed a little tired and dated - but they were fine for us. The room had two full-sized beds but only a single night stand and lamp between the two beds (making it awkward for the person on the wall side of the bed. There was a small desk with a lamp (that did not work)that took up a lot of the surface of the desk and a chair (the only chair in the room). There was a large TV in a cabinet at the foot of the bed that worked well with a remote specifically designed to be easily sanitized.There was a luggage carrier and a bench that was suitably sized to carry a second suitcase - a nice touch for the second person in the room. Two wall sconces and the single light over the night stand were the only lights in the bedroom which lacked an overhead light. The first floor room's window opened onto the walkway and parking lot requiring the window shades to be drawn all day and night for privacy. There was a coffee maker on the desk with coffee and tea (regular and decaf) and fixin's available. The bathroom, though a bit tight was nicely arranged with a tub/shower combo and a corner sink. Although counter space was limited, the lighting in the bathroom was better than any we've encountered on our last several trips. A nice selection of toiletries and three sets of towels were provided along with my three basics: Bar soap, face cloths, and facial tissues. The breakfast buffet (just off the lobby) was pretty standard with waffles and scrambled eggs every day and sausage and turkey bacon alternating. The eggs were OK but not great. Again, service from the buffet attendants was exceptional. Coffee and tea, regular and decaf is available 24 hours in the lobby. The first floor room in the back building avoided the stairs to the 2nd floor (only the few rooms in the front/main building have an elevator to the 2nd floor) and was very convenient to the parking lot but was subject to noise, particularly early AM, from the parking lot and service and housekeeping staff. A card/sign in the room states that room housekeeping is available from 0900 until late morning, but on the weekend, the maid arrived before 9 AM and couldn't or wouldn't return later to make up the room. We will return on our next trip.

Our room was very clean and the price was reasonable. Stay on the second floor if you can. There is no elevator so you will have to walk up a flight of stairs. Our first floor room was very noisy. Cars are parked right outside your door. Everyone is a wake up call when they start up in the morning. Also you can hear every step made on the room above you.

From the ladies at the front desk, to the attendant working the breakfast buffet to the housekeepers, these people made me feel as though I was a dear friend, staying in their home. I arrived frazzled and exhausted and left refreshed. Thank you, Best Western Bar Harbour Inn.

Only stay if you must. Hotel rooms very dingy and small. Carpet was wet and dirty. Bathroom was very run down, cracks in tub Breakfast was good. Staff was pleasant. Glad I was only there for one night. Would never go back. Also quite pricey for a run down motel

My room was warm inviting and very clean. All staff I encountered were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was great with a very good variety of foods to choose from.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is lovely, clean and bright with a beautiful lobby and pool area! I also loved that there were restaurants in walking distance (shout out to ciao baby!) But the highlight here is the staff. Kathie at the front desk is so warm and wonderful, she really went out of her way to make the hotel feel like a home for the few weeks we were there!

The rooms need to be fixed. There are cracks all over in the ceilings. Needs to be painted looks a little grungy. But everything else was nice. The bed was really super comfortable. Front seat service was great

We arrived 10/30 and stayed until 11/3...perfect location to hop on the Long Island Railroad. Restaurants close by, as well as shopping. Clean hotel, room was very nice...location of hotel was in a safe location.

My Wife and Daughter flew up from Myrtle Beach for a bridal shower.run as far as you can from this place.the smell of weed throughout the hallways Amongst other issues.management chose not to do a thing.parking lot in back was seedy.I called corporate they offerred me a 10% refund insulting.this isnt over

I went back too Massapequa to visit family knowing the location I figured that everything would be fine wrong the room was moldy floor was wet the board of health schould definitely shut this place down the worst welfare motel would have been cleaner

Great place to stay. Always clean rooms, always continental breakfast, and always fast check in and fast check out.that was so easy to do. I didn't use the Gym/exercise room, but it has what you need if you want to work out before you go out.

The Best Western Harbour Inn is a perfect hotel. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean. The free breakfast is great, so much to choose from to eat, and you can have coffee and tea and hot chocolate all night long. I highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was great Staff, breakfast and room My kind of place to stay All things word well for us. We were a little to breakfast about 10 minutes. The great staff help us have some food so we could get on our way and did it with a smile. Also paying the bill was quick and easy 1 2 3. Parking was good always near the room.

First I was given a key to room that another person was currently in. I put my key in walked in and found a laptop and purse. I quickly left and went back to front desk for another room. That's so not OK. Then second I was given a room that was so noisy with computers next door I got no sleep at all. Find another hotel. Plenty int he area.

The initial room I had, had a foul odor. I have stayed many times with no issued in past years but the rooms are now in need of an update with the carpet needing to be changed. It smelled as if maybe an AC filter or carpet was not good.

This has been the hotel stay ever . There were so many things that were either broken or just didn't work at all. The staff was really unconcerned about anything I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone

The only two real issue with this place is you have to walk through outdoor smoking to get into building as it is right near the entrance. The other issue is breakfast area is very tight and they run out of food often and take a while to refill.

The hotel was okay. We wanted a non=smoking room, but there were only smoking rooms. The room was dark, with no central lighting. There was a pool but no whirl pool or hot tub. The majority of the hallway is outdoors. There is a full buffet breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rates were fair.

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast. Good location. Will go back there next visit to Long Island. Front desk staff was extremely nice and caring to our needs and upgraded our reservation to ensure we were comfortable.

I booked this hotel for 9 nights for a beach vacation. I was surprised on how clean and nice my room was. The cleaning staff did a great job. The breakfast every morning included scrambled eggs, bacon and make your own waffles and protein bars. The front desk staff was always helpful when I asked for information on where to eat, shop etc. I stayed on the first floor West side in a non-smoking room and had sun every afternoon. Why does Long Island still allow smoking at hotels? My trip and stay here couldn't be any nicer. I encountered no problems as some other reviewers have mentioned. My room did not smell like cigarette smoke at all. I want to thank Dianne, Kathy and Donna as well. Unfortunately I did too much on the beach and hurt my right leg and head to leave early Saturday morning and was very disappointment with myself. I have already given them dates for the same room for next summer and waiting for a price estimate. Looking forward to next year and thanks for a pleasant and very quiet stay.

This is an excellent hotel that I have stayed at many times. Centrally located on the South shore of Long Island. Clean comfortable rooms. Very varied breakfast. Excellent service from the staff. When they did not have jelly filled donuts for breakfast the first morning, I requested them. They were then available for the rest of my stay.

The hotel was very nice. I wouldn't plan on using the sofa bed in the suite; it was extremely uncomfortable. The beds were nice and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet in the am was a great value with lots of options that were tasty!

Your welcome/registration desk, when staffed by Joan, is your best asset. We have been staying at the BH for almost 20 years and every year Joan always welcomes us immediately chats with us and takes care of us in a highly professional manner. She is highly knowledgeable and helpful Even when she is extremely busy, Joan maintains her supportive, helpful attitude. What an asset she is to your facility!

The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The problem here is that they still allow smoking in some of the rooms and although we were in a non-smoking room, the smell of cigarette smoke was very noticeable inside. Also, the "smoking area" was right outside the lobby door so whenever we left our room we stepped right into a cloud of smoke. Would not stay here again.

Stayed at the Best Western for a family function. Very disappointed! The carpet was filthy! I always wear socks and by the next day they were filthy dirty. Told my concerns to the front desk and they said they were getting new floors, but I said that was unacceptable, shampoo the rugs in the meantime!!! The breakfast area was a mess and it was only 9 a.m. and the food was running low. The women working in this area was sitting down talking to patrons and outside talking to the housecleaning lady.

I booked for a 3-day week-end in July. The breakfast was delicious, with the bagels/rolls and cheeses, eggs and waffles. The staff from the booking in desk to the kitchen housekeepers were extremely cooperative. I had some breathing issues. They packed me up and were willing to call emergency 911 if needed. My only major complaint was that me room did not have a chair for my guests to sit. The TV was also limited channels. That was the reason I did not give it 5 stars...only 4.

Where I can begin, well if zero stars were an option that would be what I select for this hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel my wife and I were very skeptical as the lobby smelled unpleasant and the front desk staff were not very welcoming. When went into the room it only got worse from there. Upon opening the door we smelled an overwhelming musty smell. The bathroom was dirty and the end of the toilet paper roll looked like it had been chewed by a rat, which I suppose could have been a possibility. Being a frequent traveler I thought it would be good to do a bed bug check in this room. Thankfully there weren't signs of bed bugs, but the mattress had lots of hairs and other remnants from the unfortunate souls who had to call this room home for a night in the past. Within minutes I was at the front desk asking to check out and their policy. The woman at the desk didn't even try to apologize she basically told me it was too bad and she couldn't do anything for us. I asked for the general manager's name and she said she didn't know as they were transitioning managers. I hope the next manager know what he/she is in for! For the first time ever I decided I couldn't stay in a hotel I had booked so off we went to a nearby hotel that exceeded our expectations. If you want a clean, safe, and comfortable hotel keep looking.

We reserved a room with two beds and instead had one king bed. We needed to accommodate four people which was impossible because of the size of the room, even with twin air mattresses. The carpeting felt damp and the room did not come with a refrigerator. We won't be staying here again.

Stayed here with my family and we tried checking in around 10, it was too early but we mentioned how we wanted connecting rooms if possible and handicap accessible, my mother is handicap registered. We checked back in around 6, they told us no other rooms were left and They gave us the last room upstairs, there is no elevator to these rooms, how they expect a handicap person carrying luggage to make it to their room. It is non smoking yet there are chain smokers constantly on the balcony, so you always smell smoke. They also never clean the balcony so there's constant used cigarettes on the balcony and we saw a very large beetle outside our room. They never clean this area, it's didgudting. The breakfast was the only thing that was decent. I feel like they trick you with the makeover they did to the front and lobby however when you take the path to your room it's disgusting and not clean, you should have a gazebo or something and only allow smokers in that area if your hotel is smoke free

Pleasant staff, room was clean and comfortable, bed and pillows great. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices even make your own waffle, parking was adequate and we would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Booked this room at the last minute after leaving another horrible hotel in the area. This Best Western has very nice, clean rooms and a very friendly staff. We Had no issues at all. With Free breakfast in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. The rooms are extremely old with paint falling off the ceiling of the bathroom. Bugs crawling across the floor, smell of mildew. Absolutely gross! I will never stay at a best western again. Room never got cleaned and staff was rude.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Very clean and well cared for and staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Would give this hotel 5 stars but plastic cutlery and paper plates/cups for breakfast unacceptable. Either charge slightly more or charge slightly less for room and charge for breakfast. Other than the breakfast arrangements though, had a great stay here. Thank you.

I chose this hotel for reasonable price since we needed two rooms for my Father's wake and funeral in a nearby town. I had requested adjoining rooms and did not realize until we checked in they put the king on one side of the hotel and the double beds on the other. We changed and could only get on the same floor. The first room (all are non smoking) wreaked. We walked right out. Now we're on our third room change. Our next room put us on different floors. We went in and placed our luggage down. The lamp had vulgar writing on it in sharpie. There was spackle on the wall and the tub cracked and this was a renovated room. My husband went to the desk and although the employee was mortified all she said was “oh”. I messaged corporate who must have followed up as our total bill for two rooms was $50 less when we checked out. Part of the gym equipment was also broken as my son went to use it that night. If I had been a manager I would have compted one of the rooms and removed the lamp. I told them this in a follow up email. I just received word that in the future they'd make changes for new guests and try us again. Honestly such a bad experience while we were grieving, and a seeming lack of concern or pride of ownership has led me to go public with this. I do not recommend

Room was clean and comfortable; location convenient. Check in was effiicient. Price reasonable. There are few hotels in the Amityville area and we were happy to find this one. We would stay at this hotel again.

I reserved a number of rooms for family members traveling to the area for a family event. To start, the rooms were not located near each other even though I made the reservations over a month in advance — but others checking after us were offered by the staff to get their rooms together. When I got into my first room, it was extremely noisy from the road out front (this is a MOTEL configuration, not stated when making the reservation) and the drawers in the dresser would not stay closed. We requested another room on the other side of the building trying to avoid more road noise and the desk clerk (she was late arriving for her shift and seemed lacking in knowledge about how to move a room) just gave us a room a few doors down from the original one. The second room was a bit quieter, but the floor was so uneven that you could easily twist an ankle - dips, holes, etc. For $150/nt plus taxes, you would think they could take better care of the place. The only positive items were some of the staff. The woman who takes care of the breakfast items was superior in attitude and service. Some of the desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating, but there is a lot of variability in that area.

Best hotel east of NYC. They make check in and check out enjoyable. You'll never want for anything your entire stay . And your privacy is always a major priority. The kindness shown by every member of the team headed by a gentleman named Brian is in matchable .

Check out the picture. Housekeeping or management had to have seen this in the room and said "this seems acceptable." Besides hole in the wall this room had weird smell to it. Just felt dirty everywhere. If it had not have been so late mintue, would have never stayed here. DO NOT Reccomend! Expected better from you Best Western.

Stayed 4 nights to visit my son who was having medical issues. The staff especially the front desk , were always kind & so helpful with our needs & concerns. The dining room staff worked diligently to keep the breakfast area with food replacement, & a friendly clean area. The location was perfect for us, & was close to nearby shopping & restaurants & major highways were easily accessible. Our accommodations were clean & comfortable as was the rest of the hotel ( a huge plus . ) We had an interior room which I will request again on a return visit & recommend for convience sake. The parking lot was well lite & with ample free parking. Again, I must forward a big thank to all of the staff at this property that made our stay so pleasant as we endured some difficult personal issues. I continue to appreciate them . Best hotel in the area !

whether your an elite member or first time staying, when there is a problem in the room it should be addressed ASAP, not when it is convienent for eveyone else. did not appreciate workers two doors away from our room and not addressing the situation at hand so we could cont on with our day

I have stayed at several BH before and was glad all I had to do was sleep here. It is old and it appeared that the rooms had never been updated. From the minute we walked in, I hesitated touching things. The bathroom lighting was terrible. The light fixture gave very little light so you could hardly see yourself at all. Location was close to where we needed to go.

Clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced rooms. Excellent staff! Nice restaurants around to eat at and most will deliver to your room. Great selection for breakfast and I look forward to my stay there next month.

I walked into my room and could smell that somebody had been smoking - even though the woman at the front desk assured me that all rooms were non-smoking. I turned on the AC to rid the room of the smoke and moldy smells but it was barely blowing cool air.. The woman at the front desk that first evening was accommodating - she came up to my room, reset the AC and agreed about the stuffiness and that the AC wasn't working. The tech came in Sat. morning but when I arrived back at my room Sat night - it still was not right. He looked at it again and assured me it was fine. The unit obviously isn't big enough to cool down a large room. Also, the smokers congregating outside the reception area made a nice hotel look tacky. Other than that, the desk staff was very pleasant, room was clean, breakfast was great and the hotel was convenient. Hopefully, they can remedy the moldy and smoky smells in the rooms which seems to be a problem.

Everything was great with one exception. I had called prior to booking and specifically asked if the Wi-Fi connected through a website/domain (to agree to terms and such) and the rep said no. I had even explained that I have a game console I want to connect to stream; the rep stated I should have no problem. I was lied to. If you're a service rep and you don't know the answer just say so.

We didn't even stay once we walked into the room. We had no idea there were smoking rooms. And we got one. The room had cracked tiles in the bathroom and was dirty. We walked out and booked at another place.

Ask for a room away from the highway. limited seating for breakfast. Good value at $100 average value at $150.. Picked it for location to wedding at The Riviera and running at the Massepequa Preserve.

Checked into the hotel recently and was assigned room 202. Upon entering the room everything appeared OK until I noticed a darkened 3 foot X 3 foot ceiling section above the TV with a dark spot. Upon closer look it appeared to be mold growing. I immediately informed the front desk and spoke with the Front Desk Manager James. He said it was paint that splattered onto the ceiling when they were painting the furniture under that area. This was absolutely untrue and held him accountable for these words. My room was changed to room 208 that was right on the freeway. HORRIBLE!!! When I asked for the Manager or owner of the hotel phone number - James would not provide it. I asked to speak with the Hotel Manager several times over the next few days and he was never available nor did he ever return my phone call. I reported the situation to the Best Western corporate phone number. This hotel is individually owned and operated under the Best Western brand. The housekeeping person was aware of the situation and she said management was aware of it. I spoke with someone from the maintenance team and he said there is a leak. I did see several times maintenance enter the room with misc items apparently doing repairs. In room 208 the wallpaper is peeling away from the walls around the ceiling - carpet is buckling on second floor as you exit the elevator. Many concerns... and there is no one to speak with except the Front Desk Manager James. Overall a HORRIBLE experience at this hotel...

The property was so modern and our stay was so pleasant! We recommend this place! Our family will be coming back! The room was clean, the atmosphere was very friendly and we we're very comfortable. Try this place out!

There are not many choices in the area, so I booked here. I had a single queen room. It was very, very moldy; it was very dark; the drawers to the dresser did not close; the pillows were so lumpy I had to go buy new ones; the bed was lumpy and the room was very small. All in all the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I did peek into some of the larger rooms and they appeared more pleasant.

My husband and his family stayed here the night before our wedding since they were traveling from out of town. It's pretty much what you'd expect. It was a bit overpriced for what you get, but it did the trick for their needs. The rooms were fine, the breakfast was satisfactory, it was clean, but nothing fancy. There were no issues and nothing wrong, but the fact that it's the only real place to stay in Massapequa allows them to charge more than they should.

Stayed in room 223 the stench of smoking odor was the worse it stunk up my clothing soo bad had to buy a bottle of febreze for the room and clothing in order to wear into the church for a wedding. Was absolutely the worse place i have ever stayed at in LI, NY

We stayed here overnight to attend a concert nearby. Hotel is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the venue. The staff was wonderful- very accommodating, courteous, and attentive. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. However, the only negative thing I have to say is that there was a heavy musty smell. This was concerning, as I have respiratory issues. I would return in the future if management addresses this issue and rectifies the problem.

Came for a funeral nearby. Musty smelling rooms, HVAC either too cold or too hot at night, came home with 8 bites from the night's sleep-either mosquitos or spiders. Cigarette butts on the outer corridors outside of some of the non-smoking rooms.

Just stayed there August 2018. Given an outside room because I walk with a cane. Room was very damp and humid. The bathroom door can't close shut because the door is swollen from the humidity in the room. No grab bar in the bath tub, not good if you are handicapped. Health hazard because of the dampness, sheets and towel were damp, the notepad was damp. Told that the problem was that it was an outside room and the hotel is a mile away from the water. I lived on the water in Seaford and never had this problem in my home. Staff was polite and there was nothing that they can do and were aware of the issue. Nothing could dry in the room and mold must be building up. Shut down the outside rooms and add grab bars in the bath tub. Best Western should inspect this property and force a clean up of this health hazard.

Stayed here when we had our hard wood floors done. Very clean and the rooms were spotless. The staff on hand are extremely friendly and offer any information needed. I recommend this to all. I would go back here anytime.

Nice place and fairly close to Jones Beach. About a 10-15 minute drive from Jones Beach. We were seeing a concert at Jones Beach theater and stayed at this Best Western. Breakfast area was small and not a lot of seating. Had to take my breakfast back to my room to eat.

We found ourselves on LI without a place to stay on a last minute trip to the beach. Contacted Best Western after seeing the hotel on Trip Advisor. They had one room left that would meet our needs. Called and spoke with Kathie. She was great! Held the room for us, checked us in quickly, and was very helpful. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and staff friendly. The hotel is on a Main road. It's directly across the street from Long Island RR station. Plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. We went to Fire Island to Robert Moses State Park, which was about a 10 minute drive. Very happy with the hotel.

We recently stayed at this hotel when attending a Dave Matthews Band concert at Jones Beach. This is the second time staying at the hotel. The front desk staff is always extremely friendly. When we checked in, they had us in a room on the second floor. We were tailgating at the show and had a lot of things in our car that we needed to take into the room overnight, so I asked if they could move us to a first floor room on the outside, so we could just back our car up to the door. They were very willing to accommodate our request. The rooms are decent and up to par with other Best Westerns. Nothing fancy, but a comfortable place to spend the night. The outside door to our room stuck a bit, and you had to push pretty hard to open it, but outside of that I have no complaints. The location is good. It is on a busy highway. It's a bit of a challenge to get out of the driveway, and if you want to go left, you have to turn right and make a U-turn at the next light. There are a couple of late night diners on the same road, which is great when you are attending a concert and want a bite to eat after the show. The hotel is right across the street form the train, so although we've never done it, it appears that it would be easy to access the train and get around that way.

I had numerous problems beginning at check in. I booked a two-queen bed suite, non-smoking many months in advance. When I arrived, I was told I was in a smoking room, which was unacceptable. I reminded them that I was a Diamond Select member and didn't appreciate the treatment I was receiving. The best they could do was put me in a queen room with a pullout sofa. The room had a huge wine stain where someone must have thrown a glass against the wall and there were numerous bugs. I complained and was told that there were no other rooms to move to. It was only a two day stay so we dealt with it. My wife took a shower only to realize the hair dryer didn't work. The next night, the remote control didn't work. On each occasion, I informed the front desk that I wanted to speak to the manager. They left notes each time and said the manager would get back to me and make things right. She never did. I enquired again and the front desk hand-wrote a note requesting the manager provide a number of points to my account and again, I have never heard from the manager, nor received any points. I did return for another stay and fought to be placed in a different room and inspect it before checking in. The second room/stay was a completely different experience than the first. Much better.

This hotel is right in the middle of town, close to the train if you need it, comfortable beds, clean rooms, free wifi and breakfast with plenty of parking. The reasons I did not give this an excellent rating are there are no elevators so if you are on the second floor you have to lug your bags up the stairs. Also I went to the front desk to get change for a $100 bill and was told they did not give change which I had never had a hotel tell me.

Nice place to stay and use MTA. Cheap way to see most everything on the Island. We went to a couple of local restaurants and had some great lobster rolls. Enjoyed the US Open while on the island. There local transportation rail is good to get to where you want. We took it into Manhattan and Long Beach.

The BW is convenient to shops and restaurants. It is also located near (1/4 miles, more or less) the Massapequa Park Station of the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). For us, this was a pleasant surprise since we intended to make a couple of day trips to NYC as well. From Massapequa Park, it's a one hour ride to Penn Station. I highly recommend travelling to Penn Station during off-peak hours, you will save a little money and stand a chance at getting a seat. We spent 5-nights at the BW. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean, comfortable and updated with a wall thermostat controlled AC. Breakfast was well prepared and presented. Coffee is available 24/7 in the eating area which I appreciate because I tend to run out of the pods in the room pretty quick. Cost was average. We enjoyed our stay. Would stay again.

I only spent one night, but everything went great. Friendly guy in reception, good breakfast and clean room. Good wifi. I would recommend to any of my friends. Not dog friendly though. If you have a pet, use BW Woodbury NY.

The best part of this hotel is the staff. James was especially helpful when we had questions and concerns. The night clerk and the woman overseeing the breakfast area were friendly. The breakfast area was well-maintained and well-stocked. The hotel is conveniently located. It is close to the Wantagh Oyster Bay Expressway. Wantagh Parkway is also nearby, so access to Jones Beach is easy. You can walk to some restaurants including a Panera's, located in a small shopping center. The front of the hotel is newer, but the back rooms are from a long-ago motel. We stayed in the front several times and enjoyed the stays. This time, because we arrived on short notice, we had to take a room in the back. The rooms there are clean, but very small. We were on the first floor for one night. We heard every step of the people above and they didn't retire until after 1a.m. The hotel was very accommodating, and moved us to the second floor for the next two nights which was much better. The hotel is busy and gets some hard use. The outside of the windows and the stairwells are in need more attention.

My family and i stayed at this hotel for a week. We found both the staff and facilities to be excellent. The cost of the room was reasonable considering the location near NY City, If I need to be in this area again I will definitely stay here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Newly remodeled including the parking lot. New beds (a little too firm for me, but better than worn out!). Plenty of hot water with good pressure in shower. Would definitely stay here again. Only complaint would be lack of sound proofing between rooms and from outside. Not a problem for me as I sleep with ear buds and white noise.

My wife and me stayed here for 1 night. We were attending a concert at the Revolution Bar in Amityville, which was about a mile east of this hotel. So it was an easy drive back and forth. The hotel is off Sunset Hwy, which has many restaurants, shops, gas stations, etc.. The hotel is a bit dated. It a motel-style with free parking. Our room had a musty smell to it. We stayed in a non-smoking room. Whenever we put on the light in the bathroom, the exhaust fan turned on and on occasion, we smelled smoke from the other rooms. On the flip-side, the bed was comfortable, the room had plenty of storage, the rate was decent (under $ 150) and staff was very friendly. The hotel offered free continental breakfast, but we skipped to hit the road early. If our needs bring us back to this area, we would consider staying here again.

Service was good, lobby was nice, breakfast was good. Room was a let down. It was a motel room in the parking lot, it was more like an $80 room not a $160 room like we paid. The carpets were smelly and filthy, my feet were black walking on it. Beds were clean but other than that the room needs a fresh coat of paint, a new carpet and a deep clean.

Our big issue was there were several bigger parties in the hotel at the same time and some were clearly partying a bit too loudly and the smell of weed was prevalent all over. The front desk was nice about it, but The beds weren't very comfy, the towels weren't great, and the pool is ok, but small and in a room gets loud and it was very oddly cloudy in the pool. The free breakfast is nice enough, typical continental fare plus eggs and sausage, waffle machine, and cereal. It's right on the main road so easy to get to stuff nearby, so if you just need a cheap place to crash it does the trick.

Who makes an online reservation at 9pm for that night? You just show up, if you need a room right then and there. I was back and forth making a reservation at 2 hotels and the online page reverted to it's default date and I did not notice. As a result, I was charged for not showing up for that night's stay. The representative who handled my request for help, said that while the hotel would credit me for the night, the night that I need is not available, so, THEY GET TO KEEP MY MONEY. Who can afford that who is staying in a Best Western?

There are very few hotels in the Massapequa area, so when visiting family we oftentimes stay here. Nothing fancy, but good breakfast and friendly staff. The water is hot and there is good pressure in the showers.

On the plus side: free internet and breakfast; convenient location; close to food and shopping; friendly staff On the negative side: small rooms; NOT clean especially the bathrooms; breakfast is great if you beat the staff to it; motel not hotel I am not a hotel snob but for the price and the lack of cleanliness I would not stay here again.

I come to Long Island several times a year from Florida To visit family and friends. I always chooses the Best Western Bar Harbour Inn in Massapequa to stay. I travel alone but never feel alone when I am here... Behind the front desk is Cathy who always makes sure you feel welcome and that you will be comfortable. From making sure you like your room , you were happy with the buffet breakfast and offering her help any way she can. Today she faxed some important documents for me. Tonight, when it is snowing wildly and I was hesitant to go out, she offered to share her home made meatball sandwich with me! She also gave me some soup! She is always taking care of someone's concerns. The hotel also has a gym indoor pool and laundromat..and a secure happy feel to it. Thanks Cathy ,and the rest of the staff ,who work with smiles on their faces to keep their guests content. .

My wife and I are excited to be spending the night here with family & friends following our daughter's wedding. We had the pleasure to meet 'Kathie' who was kind enough to give us a tour of the different rooms avail and explained all the amenities Best Western had to offer. The rooms were large, exceptionally clean, and nicely furnished. This coupled with free breakfast, an exercise room, and an indoor pool is sure to please, so we booked in total 10 rooms.

The staff makes this an easy place to stay. I have returned here year after year. From check-in, cleaning staff, breakfast..... they are helpful and friendly. I always ensure I tip them for making my stay EASY!

we stayed in the hotel for 12 days there was a16 of us and 6 fell sick ..ended up in hospital bedrooms were very humid and stunk there was bed bugs in the rooms we had to ask to get the rooms cleaned no room cleaning after 1pm ..... couldn't tell if reception staff or just loiters ..... no greetings when you walk in ..... DON"T STAY AT THIS HOTEL !!!!!

Perfect choice if you are visiting the SouthShore in Nassau County. Safe location with clean and comfortable rooms. A breakfast buffet is included in your rate and if you check around you will find that the rate is reasonable. I will stay again the next time I visit the area.

I stayed here over 10 years ago while visting nearby family, and the hotel room conditions were so deplorable, we barely made it through one night. I was hesitant to give them another try, when attending another function recently in the same area but I was encouraged by their complete makeover and hotel renovation not too long ago. I was overwhelmingly pleasantly surprised at how great the hotel and new rooms looked! What an amazing improvement from before! One suggestion I would make to the hotel, is to have someone do a quality control Check of the overall cleanliness of the room after servicing in preparation of the arrival of the next guest. Reason: not a show stopper, but I did find 2 different strands of someone else's hair on two of my 4 pillows, and a strand of hair on the shower bathtub. This something a quality control checker could have picked up. Otherwise the room and bathroom were immaculate.

The location was very convenient and safe area. A few restaurants near by but did not visit any of them. Not to impressed with the breakfast. If your a non smoker make sure request a non smoking room. The web site I booked this room did not have that option.

I visit my hometown NY every year and prefer best western for quality and convenience. The employees are caring and the desk staff always on duty. The breakfast has enough choices. The general bathrooms are extremely clean and well taken care of. This is my go to hotel for any NY visit.

The hotel is covvient to get to, located on sunrise hwy in Massapequa Park. The rooms are really nice and the beds are really comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a great breakfast, serving bagels, donuts, cereal, toast, waffles, 4 different types of juices, coffee and tea.

Having to be to a very early meeting, I spent one night here for the convenience of the location to the meeting venue. I was pleasantly surprised to find a rather lovely room and bath. It was clean, fresh, and very comfortable. The ladies at the desk were very cordial. When they heard I would be leaving at 5 the next morning, they offered me a snack bag containing granola bars, an apple and a bottle of water. Nice touch.

I've stayed at this Best Western 3 years in a row when needing to be on South Shore of Long Island. It's my favorite; excellent rooms, staff and awesome breakfast included. Great Italian restaurant next door too. Perfection!

In an attempt to spend my husband's birthday night in a peaceful,& relaxing and affordable environment, My expectations were truly met ! From the week before with the representative assisting me over the phone several times with my internet booking to insure I receive the discount. To the day employee joan answering my many calls to adhere to my requested, then approved early check-in time. Then to including another night to my late request. Finally to the food provider assisting me with the packaging of ALL my items ! The hotel & was also clean at all times of the day & night. I will DEFINITELY be back ! - I Appreciate all the gratuity ;)

Stayed at this hotel because I was going to a concert at Jones beach. The hotel was within 15 minutes away. The desk clerk at check in was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. Only downside was the bed was uncomfortable. It was a king size bed and we got 4 tiny pillows . There is a free breakfast but we did not have enough time to try it.

The complimentary breakfast is filled with different choices of very good tasting foods. The suite's refrigerator was a welcome addition. The beds are comfortable; the sheets are clean smelling; the hallway and reception areas shine; and for the most part, the staff is respectful, courteous, and caring. I highly recommend this hotel for one night or more.

Good location, friendly helpful staff, good amenities, good parking. The sink drain wasn't connected to the lever so it didn't drain, but putting a small bottle of conditioner held it up to drain. Arrival and departure were easy

Very helpful front desk folks got us checked in. The rooms were recently updated so they were sparkling fresh. Nice to sleep on a new bed! The had a fire pit with seating which made for a quiet evening.

We were very disappointed in our stay. There was a fire alarm at 5:10 AM on the second night of our stay due to the front desk clerk burning his toast. We were ushered out into the rain and when we returned he told us he had to call a few numbers to find the keys to turn the alarm off and it was because he had burned toast. No apology was given. Then to top it off there was no cleaning service for our room that day and we had to call twice for towels and to have someone remove the trash that we had cleaned up ourselves. On a good note, the front desk staff were helpful with maps of NYC for us.

The Hotel, Room and Stay were all perfect. The Beds were extremely comfortable. The Best Noght Sleep I've had in a long time. Breakfast was also good. They had a selection of juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. In addition to fruits, pasteries, cearals, along with Waffles, Eggs and Sausages. The indoor was nice too and open until 10 PM. This place is a special place.

Came back to visit LI for a high school reunion. Service was excellent, locations n was difficult to get in and out of, room had a damp odor and did not seem to be healthy. I had to fix the shower head who sprayed all ver ceilings and walls but fixed easily. Not much f a choice in the area for hotels so not sure I would stay here again.

This is a nice clean hotel in a good location with a friendly, helpful staff. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a medium priced hotel in this area. It is close to the LIRR station for trips into Manhattan and there are numerous restaurants within a 15 mile radius.

Great service and room, very good and healthy breakfast, awesome coffee, 24/7. Rooms and bathroom very clean and very comfortable. Ease of getting in and out on a major highway, and very close to train, and airports. Right on Sunrise Highway, and very pleasant experience. Walking distance to food and shopping.

I stayed here for a girls reunion visit. We had a queen deluxe suite for 4 and it was nice and roomy . Nothing super fancy , but clean, fridge , coffee maker, and always someone at the desk to assist. Continental breakfast was complimentary and nice . I would recommend staying here.

This hotel was very clean and the amenities offered were exceptional. The staff is very helpful answering questions. The location was great for us as we were attending a family reunion/graduation party. They have an indoor pool and small fitness center as well as a small business center that was very helpful. The only drawback is the entrance to the hotel to check in is located in the back of the building which is alittle inconvenient. Both other than that, this is a great hotel.

Very clean. Great breakfast friendly and accommodating staff. Good location. Beds were very comfortable. 5 minutes from Railroad Many shops like kohls, White Castle and a shopping mall and a great diner all nearby.

One of the most comfortable hotels and caring staff. Anything needed was addressed immediately all recommendations were spot on. This will be my go to hotel when I am on a trip to this area. I have been to many of the so called higher end hotels in the area and they don't stand up the the caring staff this best western offers.

The desk staff weren't welcoming to my children. This isn't a family style hotel. It's more for the quick hook up or I don't care young adult. For the price you can get better price, 3+star on Priceline, etc. Wk before, we stood at Marriott 4nights at $84a night king bed plus sofa sleeper and fits 2adults 4/5 kids w/ no problem very spacious room w/frig & Micro. Staff at Marriott was extremely nice to adults & children. Priceline is great way to book & express deal was secure and great. Definitely will book thru Priceline every time.

If you are staying over the weekend, make sure you speak to the girl who works the front desk on the weekends! I think her name is Shelly or Michelle. She's a very pretty girl, very animated and Is absolutely adorable! she recommended several amazing places to eat, including sushi, as well as fun places to go on the island. Definitely would stay again.

Nice Best Western. Comfortable, SUPER high beds (be ready to jump). Very nice size bathroom. Decent quality complementary toiletries.They have smoking and non-smoking rooms, make sure you specify your preference when booking.

I spoke to Kathy three times before coming down from upstate NY. SHE WAS WONDERFUL. You have a pregnant supervisor.... OUT OF THIS WORLD HELPFUL!! Our trip was for a communion and needed to be at the church at 1pm. The staff made sure that we were settled and out the door on time. I couldn't ask for a better stay. TY TY TY!!

Railway/Transit System runs all night right outside the door, and bright safety lights in outdoor walkways shine in around the drapes all night. Very poor condition, outdated, and this is a motel, not a hotel! Majority of rooms are only accessible from the outside. Not Recommended.

From check in to departure - everything was fantastic. We used the pool and it was very clean. The continental breakfast was so good. The area was very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very helpful during our stay in town for a funeral. Staff was amazing and breakfast was wonderful. I felt that they did everything they could to make our difficult time easier. Stay was quiet and location was close to everything we needed.

I stayed at this Best Western for 3 nights from March 31, 2017 to April 3, 2017 in room 229. Overall I was happy, but there were some issues I could not ignore. We paid a pre-tax rate of $127 per night. That seems like a lot compared to the quality of the hotel, but that's probably the norm for a hotel located in a county with one of the highest costs of living in the entire United States (hence why I no longer live there). Check-in was very quick. However, getting to our hotel room was not easy or convenient. First off, whoever designed the layout of this hotel should have their architectural credentials revoked. We had large and heavy suitcases with us, plus small children. To get to room 229 there is no elevator! You have to carry all your stuff up stairs, but that's not the worst part. The stairs are located outside! So if it's freezing cold in January, pouring rain, steaming hot in August, etc., you have no choice but to carry your suitcases up a flight of stairs and then continue walking outside to get to your room. This type of layout may be fine in tropical climates, but not in the frozen tundra of Longk Guyland in the winter. The room was OK and had a slight “aroma” to it, but I would not necessarily describe it as a bad smell. They should invest in some room fresheners. When I walked by other rooms with doors open I smelled the same “aroma.” The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. The flat-screens were nice with a large channel selection. There was not a ton of space in our double bed room. There was also no microwave or refrigerator, which would have been nice. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but had sufficient room. Some of the bathroom tiles were loose and the bathroom lock did not work. There were ample towels. Maid service was very good. My wife was bothered by the heater going on and off all night and that it was a little noisy. However, it did not bother me at all and worked well. The wifi worked very well. My kids and I enjoyed the pool area. The water was warm enough to swim in. Many hotels keep their pool water too cold, but the temperature was about right. A little warmer would have been nice. They also had a small exercise room with three pieces of large equipment. They had a great breakfast buffet every morning that was constantly attended to and clean. Sausages, scrambled eggs, bagels, donuts, waffle maker, milk, cereal, juices, bread, and coffee were just some of the options. There was also always a lot of parking spaces. I liked how the breakfast lasted until 11 am so there was no rush to wake up early. There was coffee and tea 24/7, which my wife liked. Check out time is 11 am, which is too early. 12 pm should be the norm. However, they did call our room after 11 and let us stay to 12 pm if we wanted, so that was nice. The hotel is within walking distance of the Massapequa Park LIRR train station and to a nearby strip-mall. Marc T. Hardekopf

Very nice hotel and staff. Quiet. Located walking distance to good food and shopping. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Upon check in, which was fast, I went to eat at Ciao Baby, right next door, per recommendation of front desk. Food was great! Simple breakfast in AM at hotel. Walked to TGI FRIDAYS for dinner and mall was right there. I really liked this place!

This was my third stay at this hotel this year. The common areas and room were clean and the bed was very comfortable. However, and this was not the fault of the hotel, I was unable to get a room with an inside corridor due to heavy booking. The probllem was that the room was located on the ground floor neat the front of the hotel and the entrance to the corridor leading to some rooms and the lobby area. The door to this corridor made a very loud screeching noise each tome it was opened, and since the hotel was quite crowded, this was quite often. Also, and again this is not the fault of the hotel, some guests were very loud while going upto the second floor rooms and entering or leaving the interior corridor. While the hotel itself was very nice, the room location and resulting noise level made this a less than perfect stay. .

I checked in for six nights recently to have time to visit family & friends that I have not seen for years. An amazingly clean & quiet facility. I've never seen one this clean. I had a single king room on the second floor and though the hotel was full on one Saturday night I not even heard any doors close which often happens in the average hotel. Full bkfst selections including waffles, etc. open from 7 to 11 am. The TV in my room looked like a 48" HD set. 55 channels. Fridge & coffeemaker included. Very friendly room staff and in particular the desk staff. This is a family run hotel that they obviously take pride in. I look forward to staying there on my next visit in the Spring.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming in for a weekend or a week or longer, Very helpful & courteous staff. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Service staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs.

The front desk managers are terrific! One lady in particular (she was there most nights) was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help and assist. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge. It came with a fridge, desk and a large sofa seating area. It made our trip infinitely more comfortable. The beds were huge and very comfy. The bathroom was a good size. There is on'site laundry facilities, a swimming pool and business centre. The free breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, make your own waffles, cereal, bagels, rolls, donuts and muffins were available daily.Free Hot drinks, milk and juice were available 24hrs from the machines too. There was also a microwave available for guests. There was an ice machine and several pay soda machines too. There was plenty of parking. The hotel was a "no frills" hotel, but they did as much as they could to make sure things are available to you and convenient. Very very highly recommended!

We had just toured Fire Island and was looking for a place to stay. The gentleman at the front was very friendly. The room is clean, and comfortable. We had room 232 just around the back. It was quiet. The bedding top notch.

Not Clean no trash pick up, bed to hard and high , bathroom sink and tub filled up with water. The bathroom door was so bad i would not put my bathrobe on the hook.,I understand this is a smoking room everyone smokes in the bathroom really need to be clean. I will not be coming back to stay.

The people that work at Best Western are great, along with the cleanliness of the rooms. Breakfast is terrific and satisfies everyone, no matter their needs. Always accommodating and never a problem. I will always stay at this hotel when I am in New York.

We are here for 4 nights. Room is comfortable, clean, fairly quiet to the busy street outside. The staff is very friendly. The only minor issue I had was a malfunctioning iron cord, and it was replaced within 5 minutes of telling the staff. The only addition that would have been nice is a microwave as we like to bring meals back, as opposed to eating in a restaurant. Motel is close to shopping, and restaurant, within walking distance. Breakfast selection is very good.

Gorgeous roomy rooms. Fit the 5 of us with a pull out sofa. Wonderful staff who answered all my questions and were very helpful. Coffee bar open 24 hours. Breakfast was wonderful with a great selection. Will definitely stay here again.

We were there with a group of 24 people and had 13 rooms booked. When we arrived the keycards etc were perfectly prepared, the ckeck inn process was done in only 3 minutes. Perfect! The rooms were comfortable and spacious, the pool is clean. Breakfast is good. All our expectations were fullfilled, partly exceeded. Thanks, we will be back next year.

Stayed overnight for my dad's funeral. Ran into a problem for a place to eat the food that friends and family were sending, so I called the hotel and spoke with Kathy to see if they had a room that I could rent. She said that if I didn't mind using a common area we could use their breakfast/coffee area for free. We ended up with a (2)3' sub, bagel sandwiches, a Zorns turkey dinner, multiple deserts, and around 17 people. It was a GREAT lunch for in between the wakes. Your whole staff was VERY ACCOMMODATING especially, KATHY!!!!! It made a tough day a little easier. Thanks again to Kathy, and the whole staff of the Best Western ............Mike

The hotel room was clean, the staff was friendly, location was so so, and the breakfast buffee wasnt much to brag about. It was ok for the price we paid, so we wouldnt mind staying here again - much due to the friendly and nice staff that worked there :)

Nice hotel, friendly and courteous staff, plenty of restaurant / diner choices. Breakfast was very good, bed comfortable. Coffee and snacks (fruit) offered 24/7. All in all a good experience. Would not hesitate to go back.

Upgraded us to a suite. Beautiful spacious room. My husband, myself and Grandson stayed in the room. Very courteous staff, loved that there was 24-hour coffee and refreshments in the lobby as well as a coffee maker and various coffees in the room.

First the PRO'S: very friendly/accommodating staff, mostly clean, comfortable bed/pillows, great water pressure/size of shower, quiet despite being in a main road, yummy complimentary breakfast,, quiet/working A/C system, needed to stay an extra night unexpectedly and it wasn't a problem--stayed in same room CON'S: EVERYTHING was too SMALL/CRAMPED--VERY SMALL ROOM for the price--very cramped/tight quarters for 2 adults and a child (states sleeps 4 guests), small pool/fitness center/breakfast area, some mildew spots in bathroom

Kathy at the front desk was wonderful. She went out of her way to make sure that we got everything we needed for our kids. This hotel is definitely kids/family friendly. This is the second year that we came back to stay here for our trip to Jones Beach. Great location and our kids love their swimming pool.

It was a good stay, pillows and bed were not the most comfortable but for the price it was a good stay... walking distance to a couple of restaurants for dinner... free breakfast in the morning is a plus!!!

Stayed one night 8/14/16, ( room 110) in town for a funeral. I should have known something was up when we checked in and the A/C was on 60 degrees. Carpet, sheets pillows were all damp. Room was musty and moldy smelling. I was just so tired from traveling, and emotionally drained, I did not complain until checkout. The front desk said they could not do anything for me. I just want to warn the next traveler.

We had been put in a handicap room 103 and the floor was moldy and smelled musty. Was afraid to take a shower and put my feet on the floor, nothing a little bleach wont resolve. The breakfast was not bad and the swimming pool looked clean.

I am not one to normally stay at this type of hotel. I was pleasantly surprised that the place was halfway decent. The breakfast was good the room was clean and comfortable. The prices were reasonable for this area

This review is written by a Travel Agent with 25years industry experience and 30+ years of travel under my belt, initial external appearance is great however these were the let downs 1- there were large holes in the carpet that look to be at least 12months old with no attempt to repair 2- our king sized bed linen consisted of a very old stretched out of shape with no elastic mattress protector that didn't even remotely stay on the mattress while we were in bed, it slid off then took the loose sheet that was our bed sheets with it exposing the mattress. 3- the king-sized mattress was absolutely covered in dark splotchy stains, dirt marks and god knows what other bacteria. Keeping ourselves protected from this was almost impossible with the inadequate bed linen used. 4- our room was full of small flying bugs similar to that of a fruit fly. 5- The picture frames hanging in the room were silver painted/laminate and were falling apart the silver was peeling off in large chunks from every corner. 6- two of the wall hanging light fittings were hanging off the wall with only one screw keeping them from crashing to the floor. And lastly 7- three attempts to contact reception staff both by phone and visiting the desk were met with absolutely no answer either phones weren't answered or there was absolutely nobody at the check in desk when visited. The only time we saw the desk being attended was Saturday lunch time when two women were sitting behind the desk reading magazines with their feet up on the desk relaxing like they were at home. We stayed here for 3 nights and by the second night I was tempted to drive back to Manhattan a day early as I'd been unable to get a decent night's sleep. I'd also like to note that although not essential items the rooms do not facilitate a bar fridge or a in room personal safe however they do offer security boxes at reception which didn't seem overly secure to us. We did read on TripAdvisor after checking in that multiple instances of theft/disappearing belongings have occurred in the past so I would recommend locks for suitcase and as we did take all valuables passports money etc with you when leaving for the day.

We were in Massapequa Park for a family wedding. We brought husband's elderly mom too. At the last our sister (in-law) decided that her mom should stay with us. Luckily we were able to get a room for her for one of our nights. This is a centrally located hotel for our purposes and quite nice. Rooms and king beds are comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good. Nothing fancy but eggs and sausage hot and good rolls/bagels/muffins. We were not disappointed with any part of our stay. We went to a wedding at Crest Hollow in Westbury which was an easy drive from our hotel.

Very clean and the staff is friendly and efficient! Kathie (front desk) was very helpful when I called to make reservations. It was my pleasure to meet her in person the next evening. She is certainly an asset to this business. Joan was the front desk person when we checked in, and was very helpful with providing us directions. If we have a reason to return to this area again, we will certainly stay here ! ! !

Hotel is very clean and the staff is efficient and friendly. I was apprehensive about staying at this hotel but was pleasantly surprised to find it was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast in the morning and all day coffee, tea and fruit are a nice touch. I would stay here again next time we are in the area.

I requested and was granted a late check-out time (12:00). By 10:30, I had most of my belongings out of the room, minus a large box that held 11 bottles of wine, which I needed help from my brother to carry down. He went to get it just after 11:00, while I was finishing breakfast in the lobby. The housekeeping staff was coming out of the room, having just finished cleaning it. My brother said we had a late check-out, and the staff said the front desk never informs them about late check-outs. So he asked about the big box of wine, and the staff said they didn't know what he was talking about, he must have the wrong room, etc. They started showing him a map of the rooms, which was clearly a way to distract him (presumably so that they could magically "find" the wine). Then they claimed to have called the front desk staff, who supposedly instructed them to have my brother come down and resolve it with them. He came downstairs to me and I told the front desk that a box of wine was missing from the room, which was cleaned already, despite a late check-out. (It seems that they were NOT already infomed of this by housekeeping staff.) They said they were looking into it, while my brother went back upstairs. He caught the housekeeping staff with the 11 bottles of wine, divided into separate bags, and they were frantically putting them back in the box. From their actions and their flat-out lies, they had obviously split up the wine amongst themselves. We made a complaint to the front desk, and although they were not rude about it, and agreed to inform the manager, they insisted that the wine was split between the bags because the box was too heavy for them to carry downstairs. I might have believed that, had the housekeeping staff immediately turned over the wine. But they lied and hid it, and I am disgusted. I am a local (was staying for a wedding) and I will never be staying here again, nor recommending it for out-of-town visitors.

We stayed at this hotel several times before. This time we stayed in one the suites. The room was very well kept. The bathroom was clean. Beds were very comfortable. However, the mattress on the sofa bed was too thin and not as comfortable as the beds. Love the free hot breakfast! Belgian waffles,eggs,sausage, bagels, muffins etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.Will definitely stay again.

My family and extended family came to NY from out of state for a family reunion. We all booked rooms at this hotel and there were some positives and negatives to our stay. The positives were that the staff were friendly and personable for the most part. The breakfast was good and everyone of all ages was abet o find something that they could eat before our busy days started. The rooms were also clean which was great. Unfortunately there were some negatives to this hotel as well. When we checked in, we were informed that we were on the second floor outside. that wouldn't have been a problem except we were also informed there was no elevator to take and we would have to lug out suitcases up the stairs...strange!!! The pool was murky and dirty. When we inquired about it at the front desk we were told that "that is the way it was supposed to look." Finally, the walls to the rooms were paper thin which meant we heard all the comings and goings of people and their conversations...more than we have ever heard at any other hotel. We never did get a good nights sleep the neuter trip because of the noise. If you are going to stay here, make sure you get a room inside.

My husband, son, daughter, grandson and I were visiting L.I. overnight to attend my nephew's Friday night wedding. It was the first night of the July 4th holiday weekend so finding reasonably priced accommodations for the evening was a little tricky. I found the Best Western Bar Harbour on TripAdvisor and it met all our needs. We were able to check in at 1pm so were able to get ready for the 4:30 church service at the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the staff was welcoming and professional, the room was clean, breakfast was good and the pool was lots of fun. No complaints what so ever about our night/morning at this hotel. Would definitely come back and would certainly recommend it.

This was my first time in this hotel. Based on the reviews on this site from other guests, that's what mainly influenced my decision in staying there. Checked in the room (located on 2nd floor outside), room was relatively clean. Later that night when we returned to the room, we started seeing flying carpenter ants. Literally, every minute or so, I would see one on the bed, then on the night stand, then on the walls, etc. I must have killed at least 10 within the time I was on the phone with the front desk. It was terrible. I was surprised to hear the general manager was on vacation until Tuesday, July 5th. How does a hotel not have a manager on duty on a holiday weekend? Not acceptable. The lady at the front desk did give us a different room (inside on second floor) which was much cleaner with no flying carpenter ants. I've never seen anything like it. Clearly the ants were coming from outside; there must have been a hole somewhere underneath the door or the wall or something. When I reported it to the front desk clerk, she said she's never heard of that kind of problem before. I find that hard to believe. Here are other concerns; the walkway outside on the second floor had some kind of juice or something that spilled. That spot was there when I checked in, in the afternoon, until later that evening. Could have been juice or something else, See pictures. I also observed a male walking around the property on the day we checked in. He asked if we dropped a small purse he found. I said no. I watched him as he walked towards the lobby. Later that evening, I noticed two women searching the ground for something. I asked what they were looking for. They said a purse. I told them a male picked it up and walked towards the lobby. The two women went inside towards the lobby. The next day I saw the women again and I asked if they retrieved the purse. They said no; the front desk didn't find anything, nothing was turned in. Then they asked if I could tell the front desk what I saw which I did. Turns out the male was the owner of the hotel and the purse was at the front desk all along. Seriously, the owner didn't communicate to the staff on duty or to ask them to forward the information to the staff that were working that evening he found a purse? He left no note or asked staff to leave a note so that everyone would know? And the customer had to return several times to retrieve it? Unacceptable. I will not return.

Room clean and comfortable, breakfast had many choices. Overall an excellent value. Have stayed here many times. Hotel is close to LIRR and its is a easy commute to the city. Coming back in Oct. and will stay here again.

We recently stayed at this hotel while attending a concert at Jones Beach. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Greeted us with a smile, and gave us all sorts of information while checking in. We were only there one night, and she checked us in and out, so she is the only one we interacted with. The room itself was very clean and nice. The furnishings seemed to be updated. The bathroom was very nice, and had an exhaust fan which is nice to have. We were in one of the rooms on the outdoor corridor, which was fine. We had no issues with noise. I was only able to grab some bagels and coffee at the free continental breakfast, so can't comment more on that. The location was very convenient. It was on a busy road with lots of stores/restaurants/etc. Very convenient to get to Jones Beach. While we didn't utilize it, there was a train station very close that would take you into Manhattan. We checked online, and it looked like it was around 45-60 minutes to take the train from there into the city. Great area and very nice hotel.

A fine hotel i a great location staffed by quality personnel.I have used this location for a number of years when visiting Long Island and have found the staff, location,amenities, surrounding area to be great. decent restaurants, shopping malls,movies,beaches and major roads are all nearby.

Prices are high $150 for the kind of room I had received was told it's the very last room so I wouldn't have been able to change rooms Really dirty carpets / walls / bedding Smallest pillows in the world tried to get two more but they didn't have anymore to give out the shower head would shoot out water up and over the shower curtain all over your belonging that where in the bathroom The next day I ended up needing to stay another night and had asked if I could have a different room and when asked why I let them know a few of the things So the manager said come back in a few hours and they will have a better room The room was up graded ( bigger ) didn't need big just clean and as I walk into the very bad smelling room ( smoke ) it's Right on the main highway out front where I'm able to hear the people walking by and all the traffic too thanks for the wonderful up grade to what they would call a Suite ??

Very clean and great location. Nice continental free breakfast! I would recommend staying here. Very friendly reception area. I took the LIRR to NYC and the station is across the street. Also, drove to The Hamptons, and only took 1.5 hours.

This Best Western is our Home away from Home when we visit our children who live on Long Island. We have been coming to this hotel for 12 years and we are always satisfied and happy. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is clean and equipped with enough shampoo and soap and towels without asking for more. If we need more of anything the housecleaning department is right there with what we need. The Hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. We would not think of staying any where else when we come to Long Island.

I stayed one night on business, and the hotel rooms were very clean at this hotel. They offer a fast check-in, free breakfast in the AM along with free wifi. There is plenty of room for parking a car. The only downfall is that the hotel rooms on the main floor have outside access (similar to a motel),which can also make it slightly noisy if people are outside. However, I would stay here again.

Stayed four nights in a double queen non smoking suite. It's an older hotel but in very good to excellent condition. Neat, clean and well run. Breakfast was served very efficiently and the attendant took great pains to ensure that what she had was made available with frequent refills of fast moving items. We didn't use the pool or exercise room as we were too busy with relatives, but they both looked well kept and ready for use. When the time comes we'll stay there again.

I had a business trip in the New York area and stayed at this Best Western Hotel. The caring staff made this extended trip quite enjoyable. They suggested great places to eat and listen to live music. The room was very clean, breakfast delightful and location ideal. Close to beaches, shopping and mass transit.

No nearby alternatives. It's been there forever but recent updates are very good and welcome. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. Some chairs were missing from dining tables. Very good restaurant next door Ciao Baby. No Golf Channel on the TV. Front desk ladies are the best. Maturity makes a huge difference!

We needed a fairly inexpensive place to stay while we attended a family wedding. This hotel was a good choice. It was conveniently located between the wedding & reception and there were many eateries and shops within a short drive. The room was a bit small but the space was utilized very well, especially the bathroom. We did not know the area and were making a reservation solely on what we saw on-line.

This hotel is an excellent choice with a very reasonable price. It is centrally located on Long Island, walking distance to Major Train hub, shopping and Restaurants. Safe area with clean rooms, great amenities (heated indoor pool very nice!) excellent breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. The price was VERY Reasonable for the location. Other Hotels in area much higher prices for comparable rooms.

The room was very nice, a huge fluffy king size bed and a pull out couch. The room is listed for 3 people. The couch was horrible. No cushioning at all and the mattress was thin and sagged. We had to request bedding for it. This couch should be upgraded if this is expected to be used as an extra bed. Breakfast was great. Very attentive staff continuously replenishing food. Awesome bagels and pastries.

Nothing special about this motel. Rooms are worn, but clean. Most rooms have an musty odor. One smelled of dog. The walls are thin & you hear your neighbors on all sides. Cranking the A/C's fan & leave the bathroom fan & the TV on all night helps. One of the few places with HDTVs & HD cable. The breakfast was limited & many items were out by 7:30am. Everything, tables, counters, utensils, were all sticky.

stayed here many times motel ok,but the beds need new mattress as you can hear the springs moving as you turn. presure in showers was great plenty of hot water. had smoking room but was called at midnite to tell us not to smoke in the bathroom. should have a sign up stating this

I stayed here for one night as I went to a gig at nearby Amityville. The hotel was clean with good sized rooms. I was surprised that the room I had did not have a safe to hold travel documents and spare cash, but it wasn't needed. This hotel does have a small gym and a small pool (not long enough to do proper lengths swimming) and plenty of parking.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Bar Harbor BW. I hate to give it a good rating as it seems when I do that along with others, the rates get higher for the better ratings at the Best Westerns. We can't afford to stay very long because of the cost of the rooms.

A true motel with outside entrance to each room. Security might be a concern. Friendly front desk staff. Average breakfast. Very affordable. Room was clean. bed was comfortable but a little worn out. Plenty of well lit parking. My room was quiet.

I have stayed here 3 or 4 times now. The rooms are clean. The rooms are affordable. The rooms have freaking fans in the bathroom. If you travel a lot then you know what a big deal a fan in a bathroom is. The air conditioning and heat work great. The rooms are quiet. There is plenty of parking. The complimentary breakfast is actually pretty good as well. You can get hot cocoa 24/7 which is also a plus. But the single best thing about this inn is their service. I left a $1500 laptop(cause I'm an idiot) in the room. They did not steal it. The room service brought it to the front desk. I called the hotel and they knew right away. They put me in contact with UPS and I'll have my computer back in just a couple days. Also, the wifi is excellent. I'll be staying here again every time I'm in the area. :)

Room was clean. Breakfast is well stocked. Had a king size bed so not much room; just the desk chair-no other place to sit. There is the hotel building and the parking lot-nothing else. If you get in late, you may not find a parking spot. I am not complaining; the location met our needs.

This is the second time we have used this hotel. Both times the staff was especially kind and accommodating. They understood what was needed and did whatever it took to make it happen. The front desk staff was sensational. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. This is our new home base whenever we come into NY.

There are not many hotels in this area at a location that is so close to public transportation. If you need somewhere to stay in this area, your only other option is going to a motel. This hotel is great for the price, you get a nice breakfast in the morning and the rooms are clean and staff is professional and nice. My only issue is that I couldn't get the wifi to stay connected for very long, but that could just be my phone.

Location convenient, rooms are updated and clean. Continental breakfast is typical but easy if you have kids. Family and friends were majority of guests for a couple nights. Staff friendly and accommodating. Indoor Pool was out of order during our stay. You can walk to local shopping to Kohl's, etc. Italian restaurant next door.

at the room the door don't close good, so all ninth come cold from the door. I check in around 12AM the service at the front desk terrible.!! make mi waiting 25 minute before someone show up. I pay for 2 bed and I have only one, I ask for king side and give me queen. very bad. we are in 3 and sleeping in one queen bad. very bad. very bad.

the bed was very comfortable the room was clean and quiet the check in and out was easy the location was convenient and parking is adequate the hotel has several upgraded rooms the staff was helpful and the cleaning drew was exceptional

Last minute trip. Booked room that morning & got a clean, nice room with great service & staff that went out of their way to help us with our 2 small children. We originally picked this hotel because of their location & indoor pool but everything turned out to be a great experience . Breakfast was great & kids loved making their own fresh waffles & my wife liked the fresh fruit & selection. Pool & pool area was very clean & made for a great time for me & the boys while my wife attended to family business. Would definitely recommend to other people & stay again when were in the area. Also a lot of great restaurants within walking distance. Traffic could be a little noisy if you get a room along the highway.

Stayed at this hotel between 4 Feb - 8 Feb as convenient for access to the LIRR & close to family. Provided with room 210, which was large, with a seating area & a large bed with comfortable pillows. Check in efficient. The good parts of this hotel: Wifi worked very well, had no problems especially with streaming. Breakfast was plentiful, waffles, bagels, yoghurts, sausages, cereal, eggs & bacon, which was gratefully received from the catering lady on the Friday of our stay. Westfield Sunrise Mall not far away. Indoor pool & gym, both used. One member on front desk very helpful. Now to the bad: Room not cleaned during stay. There's seems to be no checking on who comes in or goes out of the hotel, which leads onto my next bad point. LOOTED! Whilst we were having breakfast on the Friday, someone STOLE $260 out of my partner's purse. Mentioned it to the front desk, which was acknowledged with a cursory "I'm sorry", and when asking for the manager, conveniently not arriving at the hotel until after we've checked out!!!!!!!!!!! After our experience was soured by this response, I cannot recommend this hotel. "Caveat Emptor" Let the buyer beware comes to mind.

I frequent this hotel every summer for about 40 days on business. The staff is warm, friendly and go out of their way to make sure their guests have a comfortable, relaxing stay. Kathy, Nicole, Joan at the front desk were the best!! Rooms are clean, Wifi is excellent. They have a small gym with televisions next to the lobby, an indoor pool and laundry facilities. a large array of breakfast including eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, donuts, coffee, tea and fruit. One of my highlights when I'm away on business. Overall a great hotel with a fantastic staff to boot.

I would not stay here again. The only reason I have not switched hotels is this one is conveniently located to my work and I'm here on an extended stay trip. I did however ask to switch rooms and nothing else was available but Cathy was very polite and helpful with everything I needed from her at the counter and so have the breakfast attendants as well. It's outside entrance and I am in the back corner of the building. It's very very noisy I hear the garbage truck in the middle of the night, people talking word for word in room next door, blaring music, etc. I also think that because the rooms are not inside they are not as closely monitored on what is actually going on in the hotel. Some guests seem to live here so it's more of a motel feel. The rooms are very small and the bedding is no longer white but a dingy yellow with holes in the sheets. The rooms have no fridge and the windows are very drafty. Not worth the price we are paying to stay here with all the complaints!

If you like scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast every day, this is the place. No changes here. Clean as expected and located close to where I needed to be. No refrigerator or microwave in the room like there is in Days Inn at the next town.

My family loves NYC. This year we decided to spend Christmas in the city. after much research, we decided on this hotel as it was close to multiple restaurants, close to the LIRR station and had an indoor heated pool. Rooms were up to date and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was always fresh with a great variety of local bagels and doughnuts along with eggs, sausage, muffins, coffee and juice machines and a waffle maker. If you want to stay in NY on a budget and be within a reasonable distance from the city. This is a great place to stay.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The door was not sealed so cold, December air kept our room very cold. The wallpaper was peeling from the wall and ceiling near the door. My husband, kids and I all got sick from eating the breakfast. Will never stay there again!

Was very happy with our stay,all the staff were very friendly and attended to our needs and requests, the breakfast was good the location was very good, the room was clean and neat each day . Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay with great value.

I just love to come and visit this places; very friendly staff, everything it's super clean, definitely they work hard to keep high standards, and off course I will visit once, and off course I going to visit over and over. I think it's located in a very convenient spot, just on the right hand of one of the main highway's of Long Island. Plenty parking, safe, clean and luminous.

Our stay at the Bar Harbor Inn in Massapequa Park, NY was awesome. Everyone was very helpful and concerned about our visit and helped us with rental cars, transport to JFK at four in the morning and even finding a lost USB drive and holding it for my sister to pick up. The room was very clean and comfortable and the housekeeping was great. The breakfast room was clean and had a hot breakfast every day. Eggs, sausage, waffles, bread, and doughnuts and more.

We have stayed at this Best Western numerous times in the past and it continues to be an excellent place to stay. Clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast is a bit smaller than other Best Westerns we've stayed at but this one is always fresh and quite adequate. Eggs, sausage, breads, rolls etc. Constantly be refreshed. The staff is quite friendly. We will definitely be back.

It's a Best Western, so you know what you are getting. Nothing luxurious, but very safe and satisfying accommodations. No reak high end offerings in the area. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were nice. Quiet stay with great parking access.

I stay here almost every trip to Long Island for work. Hotel is on the way to our warehouse. It is Convenient, Clean and comfortable. Rates are par with the area but the convenience and service win over. Great folks too.

We were in town for a big family gathering so there was no room at my family's house. I'd passed this place by so many times, but never stayed. I know it was recently remodeled and it shows. Everything felt very new, and all was clean and tidy. The room was very quiet despite the outside facing doors, and the free breakfast was fine for what it was. I'd stay here again, though the rate seemed a tad high for the location and amenities provided.

My overall experience int his hotel was beyond exceptional. Everything from the comfort of the beds to the decor was Amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. Oh by the way the comforters are amazingly soft :-)

My family and I had reservations to stay at this hotel one night while renovations were being done on our home nearby. After check in we went to our room, however it smelled horribly of chemicals (either bug spray or from the indoor pool). The manager on duty was very kind and gave us a new room, however upon going into that room it reeked of smoke and I unfortunately have asthma. We decided not to stay at the hotel and the manager on duty gave us a number to call to see if we could get a credit for the stay but we unfortunately forgot to follow up. The staff was very nice and the hotel was average from the looks, but the smell was too much for us.

most of my business trip to Long Island NY I've always looked forward to stay in you your hotel. Although it is a smoking room I do enjoyed my stay at this hotel it really differed from other hotel I've stayed in the area when it comes to clean and friendly staff.

The hotel is in a really good area of town, close to some good restaurants and there is a mall not too far away. It is on Sunrise Hwy so there is some traffic noise but not too bad. The picture makes it look like it is an " inside" hotel, when in fact most of the rooms in the back are motel style with the doors opening up to the outside. That being said, we stayed in one of the back rooms and it was very nice. Very clean, comfortable beds, and really nice bathrooms. Good wifi reception and a great breakfast with eggs, sausage, and a waffle maker. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

A great location with a staff dedicated to providing great service. Reluctant to profile this facility for fear that rooms may not be available when needed. I'm not certain what else to say in support of this facility that has not been said above and in the items checked in the survey. A great Long Island facility at a reasonable price.

I have stayed here several times and the experience is always the same. From reservation to check-in to check-out every one of the staff is friendly and accommodating. EVER ONE of them. Don't forget to leave a tip for the cleaning staff and the lady at breakfast.... They all want you to be satisfied. This place makes it easy. P.S. This hotel accommodates smokers so if you don't smoke, ask for room in the front building.

This visit was the third time we stayed at this hotel. It is always an enjoyable experience. The facilities are well maintained, the room is great, parking is convenient, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This place is filthy! This washcloth in the picture was for the bottom of my feet AFTER I'd showered and walked barefoot on the carpet. Mildew covered bottom of shower curtain. Non smoking room wreaked of smoke. Impatient front desk clerk was rude and told me to call "tech support" to help connect the free wifi. Tiny room, no elevators. Can't think of one good thing to say about this place

I was in town on business and stayed 2 nights at the hotel. I have no complaints at all. ...very friendly staff that were very accommodating as i needed to check out a day early. Nice room and a comfortable bed
