    « Nice for a Night »

Needed a place to sleep on the way to Florida. As this place had an attached restaurant and lounge, it helped make my decision. The room was larger and nicer than I expected. Check in was friendly and efficient. The front desk clerk advised us of the $10 steak night in the restaurant.

« Decent room for the price »

This is a mid range hotel priced for budget minded business travelers. My room was comfortable and fairly clean although the toilet could have been cleaner. My room came with a television, microwave and fridge. The hallways were in need of sweeping and the garbage was not emptied regularly. Service was efficient and friendly.

« Best Value in Marietta »

I travel the midwest for a living, This BW+ in Marietta OH, is a place I look forward to staying on the road. This place has a wonderu=ful staff and all the amenities a travler could want. I recommend this BW+ over all the othe properties in the area.

    1
« Unsatisfactory in every way »

Exterior run down. Interior hallways dirty. Room dirty. Light bulbs missing in bathroom. Bathroom door conflicts with toilet. Room small. Breakfast eggs come from box. No yogurt offered. Pool outside. Staff could have cared less. Stated that if I didn't wasn't satisfied, I should stay somewhere else. Said it was not a

    « Clean, Neat, Convenient & Inexpensive »

The title of my review says it all. Neat, spacious King room. Everything worked & the bed was Very comfortable. Many dining choices in the area. The internet was of a high quality. Friendly staff. Usual, decent breakfast. Would easily stay here again.

    « dirty !!! run down ! »

the only thing this place has going for it is it has a good hot breakfast but you will have to wear a coat its very cold in the dinning room. the outside was very dirty trash & cig butts everywhere. the room was just ok...it was clean, the bathroom is very tiny...water pressure not the best ...checked in at 3 and had to wait on a room while the maids were in the hall talking...not worth 70.00 a night...wont stay again there is a lot of motels in the area....

    4
    « Great value »

This hotel is a bit dated, but the room was perfectly clean. The bathroom was small but the shower had great pressure and the vanity was just large enough. The furnishings could use an update, but the room was adequate in size, the bed was comfortable and the carpeting was in good repair. The breakfast was excellent - real eggs, bacon and delicious breakfast potatoes - items were replenished right up to the end of breakfast hours. This was not an upscale hotel, but for a very modest rate, it was certainly an excellent value. We'd stay here again if we are in this area.

    5
    « Visiting Family »

Visiting family in WV... we had a good experience here. The bed was a little too firm for us, but the room itself was good for the price. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is better than many of this level of hotel. Overall a good stay.

« You get what you pay for »

No visible sign on the actual building saying Best Western so it can be a little confusing to some not familiar with the area (the drive takes you to a golf course you need to turn left as soon as you pull in.) Staff is friendly. We were able to check in a couple hours early because we got into town earlier than expected and front desk was super friendly. Outside the hotel and inside is a little outdated but inside the rooms are updated. Rooms were emaculate. Only problem was, when we came back to our room late that night we realized our bed was broken. Front desk switched our room with one right across the hall. It's a pain to have to switch rooms late at night but things happen and at least the room wasn't far. Breakfast was good except gravy was runny like water. The hostess took it back twice to try and fix it but it didn't help. Price was good for a weekend. Half the price of other hotels in the area. I'm also not sure why the discounted rate for government employees was $20 more than the normal rate. I ended up booking at the normal rate because of that

    4
    « Great value! »

It's great value, i.e. a very nice place at a super price, makes this place a 10. New owner in the process of upgrading. Our room was clean and nice with very comfy bed. It has a very cozy bar with a small menu and friendly staff. Food was done well. A bowl of chili and some wings hit the spot on a rainy fall night! And it was only a walk down the hallway to get there.

excellent inn. safe and clean with friendly knowledgeable staff. best best western breakfast ever with real eggs. nice lounge to have a drink and unwind after long day on the road. good location with close shopping.

« Good selection, reasonable rates and great breakfast »

Hotel is right off I-77, making it very easy to find and at the end of a long days travel was much appreciated. Best Westerns' rate was very good plus we had a bonus coupon for $10 off from a previous stay and the breakfast, which was full of great selections, was what really impressed me. Would stay here again.

    5
« Jay to the rescue! »

Upon checking in the room had a bad odor, a light bulb was burnt out and the A/C wasn't working. The manager, Jay, quickly fixed all 3 issues and apologized for the inconvenience. Also the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

Have used it as a stopper on my travels for approx. 30 years. Has always been a nice stopover (even when it was a Holiday Inn). Always helpful and friendly employees and good service and food in dining room.

« So glad we stayed here. »

While the hotel is not very impressive on first glance, it is a treasure. To the rear of the hotel is a country club golf course. In the space between that and the hotel, there is a lovely garden for walking or sitting. The restaurant served a really good steak. The breakfast was nice and the service terrific. They even waited to clean up one morning so we would not miss it. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was well maintained, except for the Fitness Room. That needed some cleaning and equipment repair. We would stay there again if in the area.

    5
« One of the best. »

We have stayed at this hotel a couple times and enjoy it very much. The breakfast is very good, better than most. Tastes like real eggs instead of the "fake" dry egg mixes used at most hotels. This location is very convenient for us when we are traveling.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

Fist time staying there. These folks are great. I plan to stay there many more times while doing business in Marietta. It was recommended by a friend, and now I understand why. Exactly what I needed at a great price. Couldn't ask for more.

    3
    « Weekend trip »

An average hotel ...nothing very notable about it. The bed was not of the highest quality and I woke in the morning with back ache. The carpet was "sticky" underfoot. The shower had little water pressure and was slow to drain (up to my ankles after a short shower). Probably will not use this hotel again as there is a good selection in the area of other hotels. I found nothing (apart from the restaurant) that would make me recommend this to others.

    5
« Perfect stay for my daughter and 2 grandchildren »

I booked this room for my daughter and my 2 young grandchildren who were traveling back to their hometown (Elizabethtown, KY) from NYS. There was no problem booking it, checking in or out, or with their stay. The room was very nice and comfortable. I always try to find a Best Western to stay at for me or family!

« Front Desk Clerk was " the best" !!!! »

Visiting Marietta for the River Roar ... called the Hotel to get a room talked to , I'm hoping I get her name correct Alesha ,, I apologize if it's wrong. I asked about smoking, she of course explained it was a smoke free Hotel but I could smoke outside. If you are a smoker sometimes we are tucked back by a dumpster or a dark spot in the back of the parking lot , she assured me that smokers were welcomed and they had places to smoke and sit ....I'm not a big fan of always standing to smoke ... they had a bench and you could smoke by the pool!!!! .. Thank you Alesha I had a great stay . The rest of the staff was wonderful, the gal taking care of things in the area for continental breakfast was also the Best !!!!

    « Enjoyed our stay »

We stayed there in the middle of a 10 day motorcycle trip. I went to the bar to get some food. The young lady was very helpful and friendly. When she took a break I was trying to figure out what kind of beer I wanted and realized I did not have my glasses. The gentleman that took over for the barmaid was kind enough to read the beer list to me. The next morning the maids were happy to lend us rags to wipe down our motorcycles since it rained the night before.

    « Another GREAT STAY »

We arrived a little early around 1:00 pm during a weekday and asked if we would be able to check in since standard time is 3:00 pm we were unsure. They accommodated us with no problem even though it seemed as though there occupancy was pretty high. The Lounge did not disappoint as Kim was very busy she did it with a smile and a pleasant personality. This is our second time staying at this Best Western and would highly recommend.

    3
« Surprise appearance of hotel »

Not easy to find this hotel, signage was not ideal and the outside appearance is not up to the standard of most Best Westerns we have stayed at. Also, guest in another room had a barking dog. breakfast was good.

    5
    « Pleasantly surprised! »

This hotel has reasonable rates, a good breakfast with good coffee, a restaurant and pub on-site, working A/C, a pet friendly staff, large rooms with frig and microwave......much more than I expected for the price.

    5
    « Awesome Breakfast! »

It is not a brand new Hilton with fluffy pillows but the breakfast is better than a Hilton and it's free! Hot meal and not just the typical breads and cakes. The bar is really neat down stairs. My father-n-law are staying again this weekend so we can work on my farm house.

    5
    « great venue »

Our stay was exceptional, from the evening receptionist to the morning breakfast hostess. The campus was clean, everything was net, worked well and made for a refreshing experience We were not sure how far ahead we would travel on our trip, but the Best Western team made a late decision a great one, supporting us with telephone support, and the campus team was ready to help us check in quickly.

    « 2nd time »

Loved this Best Western. We ate dinner in the Lounge/bar and it was really good. Walleye Baked Potato Slaw and my husband had ribs. Very good meal. Also had breakfast. Clean rooms and enjoyable stay!!!

    « fantastic »

Cindy, was my group coordinator, and seriously couldn't me more helpful. Our entire rowing team stayed for the week, and the staff was exceptional. Breakfast was prepared early for us because we had morning practices starting at 6:30, and all 33 of our kids were well fed and ready to start the day of grueling training. We were so appreciative of the staff that made sure our kids were taken care of. The front desk staff were courteous and professional. Also, upon checkout, I had asked the housekeeping staff that if they found any articles left behind if she could throw it in my room, because I had a late checkout. Jerseys, socks, coats.... all were bagged up for me. Please give great recognition to the housekeeping staff working on Sat, April 8th. I am so very grateful. She also expressed that she was a mom of teenagers and understood. From one mom to another, thank you. Overall, our team will be back next year, and also recommend your facility to others. Thank you. - Talia Longton

    « Great Visit »

My family and I were in town for a funeral and received great service at Best Western. Patti was extremely nice and accommodating to our needs. She needs to be praised for her outstanding service. She told us where to go for sight-seeing, places to eat, etc. She was great!

    « Great place »

Check in was easy. I say here regularly and staff is always accommodating to my needs . The beds are so comfortable and clean. I would recommend any one coming to Marietta to stay here. Food is reasonably priced

    4
« Would recommend the hotel, not the bar »

The hotel does leave a lot to be desired from the outside. Good thing for Tripadvisor! The rooms are up to date, the bathrooms are very small, but up to date as well. No complaints for the good room rates that go with it. After driving all day and then reading the great revues of the bar, I was excited to just stay at our hotel and have a beer and dinner, I was, however, very disappointed with our bar experience. We sat at the bar and the bartender appoligized for everything from the poor service, the missing food and food quality for not only our dinner but several others, but offered nothing for a discount. We must have heard "I'm sorry" about 15 to 20 times while we sat there. I ordered the steak special medium rare and it came well done (another I'm sorry was all that was offered). They ran out of bread, potatoes, and chicken by 7 on a Friday night. We were told beers were 50 cents off until 7:30 and the bill came at full price. I had to ask for the discount. If this was a normal night, I would recommend going elsewhere to eat.

    « Never judge a book... »

I've avoided this place in the past because it doesn't exactly excel in terms of curb appeal. Not that it looks like a dump, but it certainly doesn't look like a newer place, is nondescript and located in a dated plaza that neighbors a title loan business. I'm very glad I finally gave it a try! It has obviously benefited from a fairly recent remodel, and the room was in very good shape with a very comfortable king bed and a sofa. For a negotiated price of $50, the room also had a fridge that was mid-sized, not mini, a microwave, free WiFi, a large television with plenty of channels and a full hot breakfast. The onsite bar/restaurant was called The Pioneer (I think) and had a wonderfully kitschy, over-the-top ambience that almost seemed like a Disney-themed attraction with wooden log furniture and plank bars. The food and service were both very good and the atmosphere was fun. Like the pioneer version of a tiki bar. For $80 this would have been a very good value. For $50 it was exceptional. Will definitely visit again. A special word of thanks goes to the warm and friendly service of Jay and Mary.

    « A Hotel with a working Restuarant Inside »

On my list of favorite hotels is Best Western. Why? Because they offer very good customer service regardless of whether or not they have a restaurant or not. On this particular October night my stay would take me to Marietta, Ohio. My original plan was to stay in West Virginia somewhere but I found myself in Ohio. Upon checking in the staff member on the evening of Oct 27th they were polite and efficient and checked us in with in a matter of minutes explaining all the policy's. What makes this one different is that the added bonus was that they had a working restaurant right there in the hotel. But first, my room is clean and neat. The added bonus is that it has a half sink outside the bathroom so that if someone is using the main bathroom you still have access to water for coffee. I was also impressed that they had a full size armoire in the room. I have never seen them in other hotels.. the room has a refrigerator. It's early evening and you need dinner-well you don't have to go far because the Pioneer Tavern is right there off the lobby. It's cozy and comfortable and the menu has a variety of choices. On this night they are all decked out for Halloween and our choices for the evening is baby back ribs. I can't even begin to tell you have awesome they were. Ribs that you can pull apart with your fork! The food was really good. The one hallway remember me of walking thru a medieval castle and I thought that was "cool", The have a exercise room and pool. In the morning enhoy your breakfast in the breakfast room which allows you cereal, waffle, coffee, tea, orange juice, scrambled eggs, and other choices. Check out was just as easy and the hotel is located within an easy reach on Interstate 77. If I every have the opportunity to stay I would.

« Bargain at the price »

This is an older motel recently purchased by Best Western. It is clean, very well maintained, staffed by competent and courteous people, and providing all the necessary amenities (workout room, cocktail lounge, pool, restaurant, great contiental breakfast). The signage has not been updated and it is hard to find. It is just across the street from the Red Roof Inn. Turn in at the Cashland sign. The rates are well below the other major brand motels, and you will enjoy your stay.

    3
    « Close, but not a winner »

The people at the desk were accommodating, but the room was underwhelming. In addition to a window that desperately needed housekeeping (cobwebs), the lamp by the bed had a short, making reading challenging. The sink had crazy splurty water that erupted rather than ran from the faucet, and the tub drained slowly. The bathroom door showed its age. Housekeeping did not come until we asked for it at the desk. That aside, the breakfast was plentiful and satisfying and the hostesses were friendly, efficient and eager to please. With more attention to maintenance, it could have been good but lack of attention to these details matters.

    5
    « What a Great Find »

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the bed felt new. The continental breakfast was wonderful. The location was convenient to the freeway and no noise from the freeway traffic. Marietta is a beautiful town with a lot of rich history.

    « Weekend get away »

We really enjoyed this restful place to stay with a great breakfast and a great rate. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable too! The staff made our stay very pleasant.. The Ribs were really good too!

    « Older but Quaint »

Stayed for the night. Desk service was friendly and fast. Hotel had a full service Tavern and restaurant on the premises. The Tavern looked older European style and had the darker ambience. Rooms were clean but were very old and appeared out dated. The room Didn't have sufficient plugs for charging electronics needed to be creative with existing outlets. No outlets were on table or night stand lamps. Bathtub had visible yellow/brown stains in the porcelain and stains near the drain from water drips. Beds were ok but older. Several pillows were flat and old. Price was reasonable however. We didn't try the free breakfast as we already had alternate breakfast plans. Overall my rating is mainly based on the age of the facility and it's current state of needing upgrades.

    « Meh! »

We had made a reservation because we were travelling through and would be arriving late. When we arrived they had difficulty clearing the reservation to check us in and it took awhile to get a room. When we finally got to our room, the room was not cleaned and the bed was unmade. We called down and they gave us a new room. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was really yummy. Lots of selection and the attendant was super friendly and helpful. I was grumpy about the check in and first room but after a good nights sleep and yummy breakfast I was satisfied with our stay.

    3
    « Good not great »

Overall this hotel is fairly average. Nothing fancy but not terrible. We tried to check in early, around 2:30, even though it said not until 4. We came back at 4:00 and our room still wasn't ready. Luckily they were able to transfer us to a different room. Room was cleanly, but nothing special. Very easy to hear other guests though. Overall a good experience.

    5
« Great place to stay »

This hotel is a wonderful placed to stay. Comfortable rooms and the pool is outdoor in a very nice setting. The breakfast was very fulfilling. Lots of hot items and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. They go out of the way to make you comfortable and fill you up with a great breakfast. The bedding was very clean and comfortable. We would stay here again. I will come back in the summer with the kids for the swimming in the pool in the wooded setting that looked very inviting.

    5
    « Great hotel »

We had a late eve/night check in and had no issues. They had breakfast in the morning. We over slept and missed but they always have a good breakfast. Love being able to get on the internet. Haven't had a bad experience at any Best Western.

    4
« Very comfortable quiet hotel with bar, restaurant and meeting rooms »

Got a special rate through Hotels.com which sometimes are a little iffy but this hotel generally lives up to the Best Western standard. The building is a little old but furnishings are up to date. Bed was very firm so if that is not to your liking it would be a drawback. Otherwise its very clean and quiet. The hotel backs up to the Marietta country club so a room in the rear is very quiet.also makes it convenient if you are playing there.Front faces Ohio 7 hwy so don't know if that would be noisy. The room is very spacious but the bathroom is a little tight. Fitness center, business center, bar and restaurant on premise. Lots of parking and it feels safe.Staff is good and they gave me early check in. Full breakfast and they make really good biscuits-about the best I have ever had.I'll stay here when in the area

    5
    « Excellent value »

Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also included with many of choices. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Town of Marietta is very pretty with beautiful Victorian homes and the Ohio River running through it.

« Best Western In Marietta replaces old Holiday Inn »

This hotel as a Best Western Plus is much better and appears to be better managed than when the facility was a Holiday Inn; we have stayed at this hotel for many past years and are pleased to see the upgrade that Best Western has made

    2
    « Best Western Marietta »

There are many other hotels in Marietta OH use them Bed was terrible your head was lower than the rest of your body until we slept at the foot of the bed AC was barely adequate The breakfast was good and the lady working was nice as well

    4
    « Good clean place »

The hotel is conveniently located off I77 and across from a shopping center, great location. The place has some age on it and maybe the carpet needs replaced? It smelled a little musty. Overall the room was in good condition, the staff is very friendly & helpful. There is a restaurant/bar area but warning, no food after 10PM. The continental breakfast is better than most.

    4
    « Great value »

Room was clean, service was friendly. One issue was the carpet, it was really sticky. I realize guests come in with all sorts of crap on their shoes, but I think a little steam cleaning would get me to give 5 stars

  • 4
    « Hidden Gem »

I would definitely stay here again. The motel itself is old but inside you'll find clean rooms and tranquility especially if you stay on the backside. Room 224 gives you a view of the pool and the woods that separates the golf course. The breakfast is deluxe with real eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits and gravy. There is also the traditional BW choices, too. It has a restaurant and bar that opens 5 to 10. You would never know it was the happening place on Saturday night while in your room. We only knew because we went to get coffee. There is also a fitness center with modern equipment including a gym system. And if you want to enjoy the outdoors, there was patio furniture including table back of the hotel as well as beside the pool. The backside of the hotel was an oasis for us. And if you need something, not only does the hotel offers items but there is a Walmart across the street.

    5
    « Good/Bad »

First I will start with the good. My room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Now the bad. I have never been in any hotel like this until now. When I would leave my room I felt like I was in the desert. It is hot, humid, and very stuffy. I would be working up a sweat by the time I got to the steps. I'm actually not upset for myself having to deal with it for a few days, I am more upset that the staff has to work in a miserable environment on a daily basis, mainly the maids. I was a guest for a few days and clearly seen how these girls were suffering. As I talked to them daily I couldn't overlook the fact that they would be sweating so much that their clothes was sticking to them, their hair would be wet and just plain exhausted from the heat just because they wanted to make my visit pleasurable but at the same time dealing with someone who doesn't respect their employees enough to have adequate air-conditioning. Do not think I am insulting them, exactly opposite as a matter a fact, I give them much respect. The reason being is that even though I knew they just had to be miserable they ALL kept a smile on their face and always made sure I had everything to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. I know these girls are underpaid and even worse only make minimum wage. The only reason I will return to your hotel is for the cleanliness and the girls who made me feel at home. These girls keep YOUR business open. What would be worse? $1 or $2 more a hour for them to show your appreciation? Or your bankruptcy? You have to give to receive. Praise the ones who put dinner on your table because remember they are only making sure they have dinner on their tables as well. Please know the only reason I am giving this hotel a 5 star rating is because of the cleanliness and to let others traveling know if you want to feel like your at home while your away these girls sure accomplish this. I give a negative star for employee neglect and giving no respect to the girls who make it possible for you to buy butter to put on your bread. To whom it may concern, Just think about what I said for a bit and maybe it will all sink in, better yet work their job one day and you will change your mind set. Thank you for everything you did for me while I was visiting. See you girls in October!

« Older Hotel, but nice! »

Great staff, really clean rooms and nice location. Breakfast is really nice, as well as view. Only negative I would even mention would be to wipe down the furniture in the rooms every now and then. Other than that, really nice hotel. We've stayed here twice and its been really good both times.

    3
« Meets Standards of Average »

I was surprised to see that this hotel had a three star rating. It is an older building, with carpets, curtains, and furniture to match. It was clean, employees were friendly, towels were plenty, soft and absorbent. The "lounge" chair had held many butts and was uncomfortable to sit in. The tv was a flat screen but all channels were analog, fuzzy, and obviously not high def. This is my wish for all hotels including this one. Have the shampoo and conditioner labeled so that a difference can be detected when I'm not wearing my glasses.

    5
« Awesome hotel! Friendly staff! »

Staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Thanks! Our key could open the outside door so it was easy to go in and out if we needed to. I wish we were able to try the pool but we didn't have time. Pictures looked great on the website. Fitness room was very clean and didn't stink like most usually do. Outside of the hotel was clean and no trash. Looked like a 5 star inside and out.

    5
    « Everything I want a motel to be »

Large, clean comfortable rooms with ample reading lights, a sofa and coffee table, large desk, fridge and microwave. AC was quiet and worked well. WiFi worked well. Very attractive grounds behind the motel, ugly parking lot in front. Could use a sign on the building to let you know you're in the right place. Unusually good complimentary breakfast and seating area. Breakfast staff were the most helpful and friendly I have ever seen.

    3
    « Consider your options. »

Arrived at 9 pm. Temp. outside was 89 degrees! We entered the room and the AC was not ON! It ran all night, ON HIGH and never kicked off. Between the loud motor of the air running and the outdated mattress, we didn't sleep much. Still had a 6 hour drive in am and it was miserable because neither of us slept well. (we drove 10 hours prior to arrival) However, the breakfast was great!

« Great Place to stay before crossing into West Virginia »

Always like a Best Western but this place was one of their best. Everything you need was there including a resturant and bar which we did not use. Has a fitness room too. Very comfy beds and nice and quiet at night for sleep. Outdoor pool avaiable. Good selection for complimentary brerakfast served 6:30-9:30 am.

Check in and check out was easy; accommodated us to room location; room was comfortable; air conditioner worked great; the room was clean. They held room for us for a late arrival. Easy to get to from the freeway. Free breakfast was available for the eating. Only thing that would have made it better would have been free bottled water in the room.

« A nice getaway hotel in historic Marietta »

We stayed at this hotel for one night during a recent trip to Marietta. As always, I considered the Tripadvisor reviews before booking. Before arriving, we took a short paddleboat tour aboard the Valley Gem on the Muskingum and Ohio rivers and got to learn a little about the development of the area. We were very happy with our choice of this hotel. I asked for a room on the second floor and was assigned to an even-numbered room with a view of the back of the property and the swimming pool. Compared to busy Pike street in front of the hotel, the back is calming, peaceful and green, adjoining the Marietta Country Club. There was no balcony - that would have been perfect. We went for a swim in the large pool that is very well-maintained. Later we stopped in the neat-looking cave-type lounge for beers. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. We thought that all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were diligent about keeping the buffet stocked with bacon, sausage, eggs and potatoes. We were able to get a late checkout (2:00) and tour the Mound cemetery and the bike trail along the river. We would stay here again!

« Walking Distance to Historic District »

I was pleased with the location of this facility relative to the historic district of Marietta and a short manageable walking distance to the river front walkway. Rates also reasonable and very quick access to IR 77

« Clean, comfortable and convenient! »

We stayed three nights this visit but have made this our go-to place whenever we come in to visit family. The rooms are clean and comfortable (although we do recommend a room on the backside of the hotel as they are quieter). We eat at the restaurant often and have enjoyed everything we have had there, from the homemade chili to the steaks! We also use the bar to meet and mingle with family and friends. The convenience of having a bar and restaurant on site, as well as their great location close to other restaurants and shops makes it our choice time and again. The hotel manager, Jay, always makes us feel welcome and works hard to make the hotel run smoothly. We will be back soon and recommend this place to family and friends. Sadly, we have never had the chance to use the pool, but it sure seems to be a hit with the other guests.

« Great location and renovated with pool, bar and nice ammenities!!! Play golf at Country Club!!! »

The Hungry Detective was travelling on business and stayed here one night. I always look for a Best Western when travelling on business due to the fact that Best Western and renovated and upgraded all the properties that I have stayed in the last two years. The Marietta Country Club is right next door and looks immaculate. The property was clean and the room was wonderful. Great bed and pillows=great night sleep!!! Jeff the night time front desk associate did a great job with speedy check in and recommended a great place on the water for dinner/drinks down the road. VERDICT: Best Western your guilty of providing a great night of rest...keep doing what your doing...your hotel rocks!!!

« Incredible Amenities, Budget Friendly Prices »

This hotel is located on the other side of the highway from historical Marietta. The hotel has been renovated and the lobby and surrounding amenities seemed new. The amenities on this hotel were off the chart. There is a restaurant, a full bar, a large pool (9ft deep on one end) and hot tub, a 24/7 workout room, a laundry, and a business area. The hotel room had a micro and minifridge, and a desk area with a couple of chairs. There was plenty of storage space for those staying longer. The beds and the pillows were very clean, as was the rest of the room. Breakfast came with the room and ensures that you can probably skip lunch. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, waffles, fruit, pastries, yogurt, granola bars, and an equal variety of drinks were for the taking. It was good. We got in here for half the price we pay at one of the Hilton properties and got amenities that made us want to stay a bit longer. If you are coming through or to Marietta, this would be a smart option.

    « Comfortable Stay »

A good stay. Property looks to have been a former classic Holiday Inn(?) with a restaurant, bar and pool. A little aged but clean and in good shape. Nicely appointed king bed rooms with a couch and work area. I had a second floor (top) room which faced the back of the property which overlooked the lawn and a golf course beyond a tree line. WiFi was good. Free "continental" breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon and ham. Nice, affordable stay.

« Not fancy but nice »

Stay here for six nights. Hotel is older but clean. Rooms are mostly up to date and very clean. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Buffet breakfast was better than many that I've stayed in. Restaurant only served breakfast. The bar was popular most nights when I used the Internet in the hallway. Only found one set of washers and dryers in Laundry room. Good value for the rate. Would stay there again.

« A Good Time Had By All »

We were looking for a nice hotel that wouldn't break the bank. We found it in this Best Western. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. They also had a very nice hot buffet breakfast. It was not a huge buffet, but very adequent with sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal, bagels, toast, bisquits/gravy, etc. Other than breakfast, we did not use the restaurant, but one night we enjoyed a beverage and great karaoke in the lounge, which was very clean and welcoming. The hotel is also very close to activities, attractions and the local college. Glad we stayed there.

    « Good experience »

Hotel staff are very good. Breakfast was good. Just need to up grade the hotel some. access to the hotel was a little confusing, but not bad. Did not care for the "bar", but mostly because its not my thing. I will most likely stay again.

« Clean and well maintained with great amenities »

It was refreshing to find a place that was so clean and well kept. The rooms are comfortable with a lounge chair/ottoman and a desk with an ergonomic chair. There are plenty of accessable power outlets for all your electronic needs. The grooming area is separate from the bathing area with adequate room for extra luggage. The Indoor pool and excerise room was prestine. We will be making this one of our favorite stops on trips through this area.

« You Get What You Pay For »

Cheap hotel for the one night we had to stay out here. The outside of the building is incredibly run down. They have no signs even indicating that this is a hotel. The staff was unfriendly and not helpful at all. The room itself was nice and clean but it seemed like an unsafe environment to stay at. All in all I do not recommend staying at this hotel and I will not stay here again.

    « Delightful Stay »

We enjoyed this hotel so much. From the easy access from I77 to the onsite Restaurant/Bar to our very nice room with comfy bed and warming light in the bathroom for after a nice hot shower. Dinner was hot and hearty and the bar staff friendly. Breakfast in the morning was delicious hot scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, fruit and toast an added bonus for our stay here. We ate in front of the windows with a lovely view of the gardens, waterfall and golf course. Birds and squirrels adding to the delightful morning scenery. Priced right for our budget travelling home from the south We are definitely coming back.

    « Cockroach »

Started off by not knowing if we were at the right hotel. No name on building, only a sign at the front of property.. Upon check in I asked for a crib for my 1 year old, friendly front desk agent said they would bring one. I told her no rush as it was 4pm and had plenty of they one before bed. We got settled into out room and the kids wanted to watch t.v. Surprise, tv turned on but no picture. I tried to change inputs and still nothing, made a call to front desk and she advised that maintenance comes in at 5. No problem, we were going to dimner anyways. On our way down the hall my wife is yelling at me to come back, so I had no choice there and as I did she pointed out a roach that was on the inside of our door and was running to the top. I slammed the door and it fell to the ground and started to run back up the jam as I took the picture. Killed it and looked for more and couldn't find any but if there is 1 there is more. So we went into town for dinner at The Marietta Brewing Company(great place and left a review for it also). We returned around 7 and found a whole new TV to replace the broken one. Still no crib tho. I made another call down she advised they have a crib but are having trouble finding a mattress and asked if a couple comforters would work. I asked if they were hard bottom cribs and she said "Honestly, I've never seen the cribs" son don't know who couldn't find the mattress and apparently she wasn't the one looking for it. So we had no choice but the use the comforters and he's 18 months old so we're not afraid of him suffocating but if he was a baby insure wouldn't advise it as they are huge and wasn't the most level or comfy looking when thrown into a crib. When heading the breakfast I'm the morning I seen housekeeping and talked to them about the crib, they stated they left them mattresses with the crib. So I'm guessing they don't know where to look? Breakfast was very well stocked and the lady running it was great. Always cleaning our table from plates as if we were at a real buffet. I left a few $ tip as I felt she deserved it and was always running around to accommodate people. Beds were firm but not to bad, newer and bedbug free. That's the main thing. Room #139

    « Above the expected »

The hotel was clean and the staff went above the duty to make us feel welcome. The breakfast food and atmosphere was the best. I could sit at look at the beautiful garden on real restaurant like tables. I felt important to them.

« Great price for an above average hotel »

Clean hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast, excellent showers, convenient location, plenty of parking, nice outdoor pool area with grill, big fridge that actually worked. If you want a 4-5 star stay with a 2 star price, this is the place for you.

« Honest and helpful staff »

I stayed at the Best Western with my daughter's high school basketball team. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy, found everything to be more than adequate. I left my Kindle and pajamas behind. Staff kindly shipped both back to me after calling me to let me know I had left them. Definitely recommend, and would stay there again. The staff makes this a great place.

    « Good Value »

My husband and I stayed at The Best Western Plus for one night while traveling. I made the reservation on PriceLine and with taxes, the room was $80. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and they had a large selection of breakfast items. Definitely a good value.

    « Great Night »

Great night stay in Marietta, Ohio. My only complaint is that the sign is too small and hard to locate. Also the access to the hotel is poorly lit. Breakfast was excellent and we were on our way home in a timely fashion.

    « Almost perfect »

This hotel provides a clean, well-decorated, and comfortable room, as well as free hot breakfast. The view from my room was beautiful, overlooking a country club golf course. All staff members were exceptionally cordial and helpful. The breakfast foods provided were plentiful, but items like bacon and eggs were only lukewarm, the only flaw in an otherwise perfect overnight experience.

« Clean, convenient, firm beds »

Stayed one night in Marietta en route from Cincinnati, OH to Staunton, VA. BW is our "go to" hotel chain and we knew that there was onside Marietta on Rte 7, so I reserved. Plus hotels aren't my favorite type as we has a really bad experience in Oklahoma City, OK and enclosed hotels tend to have an odor. I think it's the sanitizer they use in the nonsmoker rooms--it smells like cat piss. A trip to Walmart for a scented candle helped with this.. My biggest problem was the mattress. My husband likes a firm mattress, as a "side sleeper" I need a little give. The King mattress in our room had NONE.

« Depends on what your priorities are... »

It's a Best Western, not a Marriott. So this review is tempered by the right expectation. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. The hot breakfast every day - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, biscuits, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, muffins, etc. It really is a great set up, and the breakfast staff is really friendly. The room is satisfactory, no complaints there. The biggest complaint I have, and this is a really big deal to me, is that the wifi is basically worthless from 7:00 - 11:00 PM. I am here working and I am also in school (Online). I have both synchronous and asynchronous class, and I cannot attend class here. I have to go elsewhere. This is a major inconvenience. For the work stuff that can't wait, I either have to try to get ahead late the night before, or very early AM. During the day, when most of the guests are out, the wifi is still sub-par, but functional. There is no option for a hard-wired connection here either. If I were paying for my own accommodations, I would have to stay somewhere else because high-speed access is on the "A" Priority list for me. I would miss the wonderful breakfast, but I would literally buy-back hours of my life, and that's worth another $20/day if that's what it took to get good access. Best Western, if you are reading this, you have to make the investment in at least 2 orders of magnitude increase and/or add a hard-wired connection. Even if you had to pay for the high-speed access, I would pay it, and so would many others.

« Great Hotel next to many places »

We were at this hotel last year. The staff was very helpful. The buffet breakfast is very good. The girls work hard to keep food filled, clearing tables and ask if you need anything? The room is comfortable. We stayed there during the Marietta Festival. We did NOT take the shuttle because that is a hastle. We parked at the Rite-Aid for $5. it is close to the main area.

« Nice place to stay »

Nice clean place. Easy to find. Pool nice. Breakfast buffet was better than most. We enjoyed the Valley Gem Sternwheeler for the afternoon....west through the locks down the river. Very comfortable, narrated ride. Golfed the next day at the golf club next door.....crazy hilly course but fun. Wish Marietta had more of a night life downtown...looks like they are building it up now.

    « Boat race weekend »

Nice room with good furnishings, Outdoor pool was in good shape. Included a very nice breakfast buffet. Had no trouble switching my room from front side to rear side. I suggest to do this because front side faces Route 7 which has a lot of traffic.

    « Very nice. »

Clean and easy to access from the highway. Best value in this area. Pools was nice, the pool towels could be a little bigger as need two to dry off. I would definitely stay here again. lots of pillows and a very comfy . The spa tub was a bonus we didn't expect.
