"Wouldn't return"

The bed was hard, the bedding was a sheet and a bedspread as then as the sheet. The toilet was not secured to the floor and the hair dryer got so hot I had to use a towel to finish drying my hair. The outside looks old and everything but the lobby needs to be updated. On a positive note the staff was nice and the breakfast was good.

I was very satisfied with this hotel. It has plenty of extras such as free wifi, a swimming pool, and a hot breakfast. The staff there were very friendly and always helpful, and when you've taken in all the sites locally you can always, relax in the hot tub. 4 stars!!!!

I recently posted about my very unfavorable experience at this hotel due to an employee - possibly a former employee - who I believe should not be in the hospitality industry as I found her to lack integrity. When Mr. Elisei Adam the hotel's general manager heard about my experience, he was extremely concerned and very quick to help make the situation right for me. I was very impressed and found his concern to be genuine, a trait that I believe is not all prevailing in hospitality as I believe it should be. After Mr. Elisei helped to rectify my situation, I contacted Tripadvisor for help (several calls which ended up in an endless non US call center who never seemed to be able to transfer me to the proper area) to edit my profile. When I never was able to receive help from TA, I found a way to have my previous review removed myself. I just came online to see if I had been successful, and saw these very unfavorable recent reviews on the hotel. I do not understand them as they make the hotel sound so dirty, and while I thought certain things could be improved upon during my stay (eg the breakfast area), I did not find the place "filthy" or with "dead bugs" or anything like that. I think these reviews might have been planted - they just don't make sense unless the hotel has deteriorated so much in the last couple of months which I would not expect under Mr. Adam's care. I want to also reiterate how sincere the general manager was in helping to fix the very bad situation I experienced with certain of the hotel's employees. Thank you

"Extremely Filthy Room "

We got a room with 2 beds the bed on the left had blood spots on the sheets. so we pulled down comforter on the second bed no blood had some brown skid mark like stains. this got us alarmed so we decided to investigate pulled off all bedding down to the mattress oh my we almost choked huge circle stains and the smell we couldn't identify was the mattress as if someone peed them selves in bed. upon entering restroom the tiolet was filthy. shower had soap scum. restroom floor had hairs in the corner. room carpet was surprisingly not that bad looking.

This has to be the worst bestwestern we ever stayed at. room was filthy had dead bugs sitting all over . almost like the room was used for storage had box marks on carpet. the person at the front desk evening shift did not care nor offer a remedy . now the bed sheets were stained although looked like they were never washed cause of the wrinkles. now the shower had soap scum, tiolet had hairs on the back seat and the top. only thing looked halfway clean was the sink . maybe they clean the sinks only .. would not advise stayng at this BW location ever again

We were just passing through and needed a clean, decent place to stay. Great price, too! Breakfast was the usual but was good and hot. Close to other stores and restaurants. Not an indoor access hotel--old style outdoor access.

"Dishonest/No Integrity"

After a very positive impression of April, the hotel's manager, my opinion completely changed. These are dishonest and dishonorable people. April did not make my reservation properly, charging me the wrong, a much higher rate. When I checked in Shelby checked the notes in my account and confirmed the rate april had entered was erroneous. She told me she would have my rate corrected, and I never heard from her again and so I presumed that she had. When I checked out I learned she had NOT taken care of this. After numerous conversations with Whitney, I was told that april the manager would call me to discuss/correct this. Nobody from the hotel followed up with me. These are not people with integrity. Separately, the sink counter tops are extremely low. I have no idea for whom these were designed. Also, there was hair in my bathtub upon arrival that of course was not mine, and the breakfast area is not kept very clean or neat during the breakfast time, and lots of things were out of stock. And you will smell the smoke from other guests while at the hotel. There are too many other hotels in the area, and I would recommend one of those.

Our stay at the Best Western in Marble Falls Texas was excellent.. Beds were comfortable, enough fluffy pillows room was clean, pool was a delight.. Staff was always very helpful and cheerful! Great place

Rooms are standard with a few issues with shower plumbing but the staff was exceptional. Breakfast was great too. Hours after departing, I received a call from Whitney that I had left some belongings in the room and after a few phone calls she was able to accommodate my request to mail them to me. Very courteous and helpful all the while.

We stayed here during the last week in February while on a mini road trip. The room was clean and the king bed was comfortable. The hotel is located on a busy highway but we didn't hear any road noise because we had the air conditioner running all night and it was fairly loud. The breakfast was very nice with a nice egg dish as well as waffle maker, pastries, bacon, sausage, cereal, etc. We got our fill for our ride north. The woman at the front desk when we arrived was very helpful in suggesting a great place to eat on the lake for dinner with views of the lake and sunset.

Absolutely no negatives about this hotel. Clean comfortable rooms. Great hot breakfast. The staff opened the breakfast up an hour early for us to accommodate our crew. Excellent service all around! We will definitely return!

This is the second time we have stayed here recently. Service and staff are consistent, no suprises. The property is centrally located and easy to get in and out onto SH281. Very close to food, shopping, and other necessities

Stayed for 1 night in October. Close to $100 for 2 double/queen beds. The breakfast was good. The workers were friendly and very attentive to refilling the breakfast area. Overall pretty good. I don't stay at Best Western typically so cannot compare it to other Best Western hotels.

Nice location - close to everything. Breakfast/Reception Area has been renovated. Nice and Clean. Friendly Staff. The night time desk receptionist went out of her way to make sure that the missing VCR was replaced and was working to our satisfaction.

"Hotel Needs renovation"

Pros: Convenient location & decent rate for a quick business trip. Friendly staff, room was clean and Bfast was what you expect. Cons: Overall condition of hotel is worn, tattered and in dire need of serious renovation. I don't mind older motels if they are properly maintained. This one just left a negative impression and I doubt we will stay here again unless it is completely revamped.

Good. Only stayed one night. Friday night in Marble Falls. We have slept on a better bed. But overall the room and the internet was good. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was okay. Good ice machine. Lake marble falls is a gorgeous body of water.

I particularly liked this hotel because it was in the middle of everything and it was very affordable and take military discount. We only stayed at the hotel in the evening and had an amazing breakfast! Most of the time we were out off-roading. The room I thought was clean, looks like it was newly renovated. Not a mildew in the bathroom. Very very clean!

was in town for a state football tournament. reservations made as a group for 2 nights, clerk argued with me that I had only booked it for one night, but we had confirmation. Hotel made it good after speaking to management, but it never should have happened.

Marble Falls is a great little town, and this hotel is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a clean, comfortable motel with reasonable rates and don't need a lot of extras. Our room had a fresh, citrus scent and was very clean and up to date with comfortable beds, a flat screen TV, a Direct TV with some movie channels included. It also had a DVD player and there was a selection of movies at the front desk that you could check out. The location is very central and provides easy access to shopping, dining, and local attractions. If you don't need all the fancy extras, this motel is a very nice place to stay, and it won't break the bank. I'll definitely be staying here on future visits.

This motel is clean and quiet. My room was spacious. Everything worked. The location is convenient -- on the north side of town with a Wal-Mart just up the street. The hot breakfast was probably the best I've ever had. Love those Texas waffles!

I enjoyed my stay. Because I drive a tractor trailer, I appreciate the ample parking along well-lit US 281. The room was clean, and my bed was comfortable. Joe, at the front desk, went above and beyond in providing quality customer service. I recommend this hotel.

The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good--it was a good place to stay. However, the weekend price made it more expensive than it should have been for an older hotel in a small town. I recommend it--and I'm told the price is much more reasonable on week nights!

Marble Falls hotel staff are very professional. The breakfast was delicious! The bed cover and bed sheets are clean and high quality. The appearance of the hotel exterior and interior is better than most of the same level of hotels we stayed!

We arrived early Saturday evening over the Labor Day holiday. We were warmly greeted by the front desk and the reservation was exactly as booked. We had our small dog with us; they advertised pets were allowed. No issues whatsoever and the entire staff is dog-friendly. The room was fine for what we needed. The bathroom was clean as was the entire room. No hairdryer as we knew to bring our own. Nice sized fridge and microwave for those that need them. The breakfast was typical for a BW property. Free eggs, meats and waffles, as well as cereal and oatmeal. The food was good. Nothing fancy. The staff really made us feel welcome and it was clear they took pride in running the establishment. While there are a few choices to consider in Marble Falls, this was clean, reasonable and welcoming. We will stay here again if we are in the area.

Wrong room, cigarette smell, noisy a/c and lousy discount, manager never available. I called two times to confirm we had 2 queen beds because I knew people from the hurricane would be driving north and the hotels would fill up. We were told a new employee accidently clicked on a 1 bed room with Jacuzzi the last time I called to say we would be arriving late and to make sure our 2 queen bed room was secure. They charged for the jucuzzi room and it smelled like cigarette smoke and the a/c was buzzing loudly, When I asked for a discount, they took the price for the Jacuzzi off and gave only $20 off the room rate. I was not satisfied with the discount and was told to call the manager when he returned on Tuesday. He has not been available any time I have called.

The hotel room was larger than most, but meh - so so otherwise. Check-in was seamless, but dragging a suitcase up the stairs was a challenge. Breakfast was ok. Overall; the room, grounds and pool area were clean.

I paid almost $200 to stay in a room that wasn't worth it. $60 would have been a reasonable price. We were at the top of the stairs so you heard everyone coming and going. We were at the end of the building so we also heard every car that drove by. The beds were so uncomfortable, you could feel every spring. And the pillows weren't full size. My head barely fit on them.

This was a nice place to stay. It was quiet and comfortable. It was convenient to get around Marble Falls and Fredericksburg areas. This location has both interior and exterior rooms. They allow pets. The breakfast selection was good and always plenty. The fitness center is the Anytime Fitness across the street-very nice. The hot tub was not working great-it was lukewarm and no bubbles when turned on. I would recommend.

This property was depressing and old. Value not expected for the price we paid. Room had odor from old carpets that need to be removed and replaced with Pergo. Linens of poor quality. Bed although not horrible, was not comfortable either. Rooms opened to the outside which is not safe for any hotel. Would not recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel and very nice staff. Big problem with the hotel internet WIFI which attacked our computer with a virus that our virus protection was able to detect and remove...but it made the WIFI unsafe and therefore unusable for our entire three-night stay.

Was pleasantly surprised at how well-kept this hotel is, given the older fashion of rooms opening to the parking lot. Great place for motorcycle enthusiasts (bikers) because they can park right outside their rooms. The entire hotel, rooms, lobby, pool, etc. was clean and well-kept. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Very good deal and close to restaurants, activities. There for golf at Hidden Falls and The Legends. Breakfast worth staying there to eat instead of Bluebonnet Café. What more can I say! Would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Pros: This hotel is pretty good - especially for the price in this area on a holiday weekend. The exterior is nothing special but feels safe enough. Check in & out were very quick and easy. You can "rent" movies from the front desk which was nice. Internet in our room was fast. Everything was clean and hotel is pet-friendly. Cons: It was very clear from the moment we stepped into the room that there had been some extremely heavy smoking previously in the room despite it being a non-smoking room. All of the furnishings were pretty dated, but clean. Faucet in tub was continuously running for the entire weekend.

"No what you expected for a Best Western"

We arrived almost one hour and a half after the check-in time and our room wasn't ready. And the next day they were knocking on the door to clean the room one hour earlier. They offered courtesy DVD's (positive) but the DVD player did not work correctly and we called the front desk and they couldn't fixed or replace it (negative). And to add the cherry to the pie, the carpet was disgusting, the kind that you don't want to walk in it. The personal is kind and nice and they want to help you but they need to improve their costumer service.

"Clean but Dated"

Came into town for a one day event so stayed only one night. Room was clean but furnishings were near the end of their lifespan. Sound proofing was lacking. Room was farthest away from the main highway going through town but could still here road noise. Having the AC fan constantly running drowned everything out but the loudest of cars. Could easily hear other rooms, luckily no obnoxiously parties. Shower was big enough for me to stand up in (I'm 6' 2") and not bend over to get my hair wet. Had instant hot water and plenty of it. Free breakfast was your basic waffles, bagels, cereal, eggs, bacon kind of deal. Ready on time. Staff was friendly.

I came on vacation. I was with my man. From check in to check out the stay was wonderful. The location was good. The breakfast selection was good. We decided to check out a day early because we made other plans. When we decided to check out early the staff was friendly.

"Awful experience"

This has been a nightmare and the staff has been very unprofessional. They have tried to be sneaky and can not keep their stories straight on facts. Our employees did not do any damage. It took them 3 days before they said anything and only after I called for a 3rd time requesting a receipt. They sent 2 receipts for the room 11 minutes apart with a $300.00 difference. NO one could tell me exactly what damage there was and the story changed on how it was reported. I was told that they could not tell me about the damage until the manager was back and that was 3 days later and when I asked to speak to the Manager I was told that he was not in.

"One of the best!"

The room we stayed in is the best hotel room we have ever stayed in. We stay in that same room every time we visit. Awesome room!! The only thing we would suggest that should change is the breakfast. The eggs seem to be powdered, and would be nice if there was bacon in addition to the sausage. Everything else is perfect.

We stayed here on a short road trip to the hill country. We had no shower curtain, and we heard everything outside our door, and above us. Room was clean., and spacious. Staff very courteous and friendly.

The room was non-smoking, but we could smell smoke from previous guests. The plug in the sink kept dropping down. The tub faucet leaked. The AC was loud. The wifi did not work. We could tell the hotel is being remodeled. It is in need of some TLC to bring it back up to the quality it should have for its rates.

We will check with Housekeeping to see how it was cleaned and why it was rented if it wasn't ready to go. While we have spent a ton of money renovating the property and people have been pleased with the results we do have a few dripping faucets and other minor repairs to catch up with. We have just hired additional maintenance staff to help with these duties. Because we have been sold out every weekend this time of year we don't often have another vacant room to move a guest to if their A/C is too loud. We hope you will give us another try soon.

Very nice hotel, priced right, great hot breakfast. The "fiesta" eggs and omelets were wonderful. The only thing I would suggest is to get to breakfast early, otherwise it was not well stocked. Staff was exceptionally cordial and accommodating.

I have spent many nights in motels and hotels during my professional career both nationally and internationally. This stay was for relaxation and site seeing and my expectation was not for a superior room as this town was a small tourist town. However, I was blown away by the quality of the staff and facility. I would highly recommend this Best Western for a pleasant and rewarding stay.

Enjoyed our stay at this Best Western location. My wife and I chose this location because it was one of the cheaper hotels. I can't believe that rates are so much higher on weekends. The room was nice and very clean. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are great. It's also great to find a room with a larger dressing area. Also, I can understand those that have issues with dogs next door. Those with animals should be limited to certain areas of a motel.

Thank you Tim L for your comments. I'm sorry about rates being higher on weekends during our in-season at all area hotels. Our lake area (like beach or ski areas) draws sell-out crowds during flower season. I'm happy you found your bed comfortable and that you thought our pillows were great! Due to laws regarding service animals we can not restrict those animals to certain areas of the hotel like we do with regular pets. I apologize if we let a guest with a regular dog stay in a room thinking it was a service animal.

Unhelpful staff, loud dogs, messy & dirty rooms, uncomfortable bed. Our room was given to another guest at 1am, they tried to come into our room and were angry and aggressive when they couldn't get in. Front desk showed no remorse for giving someone a key to our room.

Thank you Robert W for your response. I checked our key log but found no key for your room made after yours. That is why it didn't work. This happened at 1am on a Saturday morning which leads me to believe it was another guest going to the wrong room after being out celebrating. (Not the first time.) It was probably one of the rooms on either side of you but they had been celebrating and simply went to the wrong room. Maybe one of the young wedding guests we had? I'm sorry they became frustrated when their key wouldn't work and became aggressive the door lock. I'm also sorry our clerk wasn't more responsive. He's new and was confused about how another guest received a key to your room since he hadn't checked anyone in during his shift. Marble Falls is a safe town with all hotels here being as safe as any in America. I hope you will give other Best Westerns a try and receive the good night's sleep you and all our guests deserve.

We stayed at the Best Western Marble Falls with much of our family and friends while attending a wedding. The staff at the hotel was wonderful and helped us every step of the way. The pricing was very reasonable compared to other hotels we shopped in town. Most of the rooms we occupied were newly renovated with new carpets, paint bathroom flooring and probably more. The hotel was still being renovated but there was very little disruption as a result. The BW team worked with us on last minute rooms for guests and were very helpful with room requests, etc. The breakfast was very tasty and well stocked. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide insulating sleeves for the coffee, which comes out on demand and very hot - even when using two cups it is hard to hold the cup until it cools off! We would stay here again when visiting Marble Falls and thank the staff for their help!!!

First room the toilet was broken, second room reeked of smoke and was a non smoking room, third room was acceptable. The quality is not up to the standard of Best Western that I am used to, in both cleanliness and decor. Won't stay here again.

Went to get utensils but door was locked, I could see through the window the clerk hanging out with a lady while laying on the couch watching sports with a dog climbing all over him. I knocked and he didn't even notice. It's in a good location along the highway, room was ok and seemed clean, but not sure if I'd stay again.

I apologize for this incident. I'm assuming you came to our lobby area after 9:00 pm, and if so, yes our side doors would be locked for security reasons. There is a sign at these entrances asking after 9pm to us our main/front entrance. However, there is no excuse for what you found in the lobby or that our staff did not notice you. I'm pleased that you took the time to share this information with us and I can assure you this will be addressed with the staff member directly. Our hotel is under new management and working with staff to ensure quality guest service.

I usually never give bad reviews but this hotel is horrible. Its suppose to be remodeled recently but they did not get to the room we were in. It smelled like smoke. The lady at the front desk said that our room was one that HAD been smoking but not anymore. It smelled like old smoke. The parking was crazy and the ice machine which they only had one for the whole hotel , was located in the same place as the washer and drier.

When I saw the "under renovation" sign in the lobby I was worried, but during my stay the only evidence of renovation was the construction dumpster in the back parking lot. When we went to our room I found new furniture, but carpet needed some TLC. When I spoke with the reception desk, I was informed that the carpet delivery has been delayed but management felt the customers could benifit from using the new furniture while the property waited for the new carpet. We will return to this hotel when we travel to the Hill Country for the fall colors.

Check with the hotel before staying, undergoing renovations. Must have really looked old before, you can see some progress but wait until they are done. Carpet was old and in need of replacement, counter top was new, beds decent, water slow to drain in sink and tub.

Our room was very clean and it was back from the highway so noise from the main road through town was not an issue. The desk staff made very helpful recommendations for dinner and breakfast was good with a nice selection of fruit. Worth a stay.

When we stayed at this hotel on July 12th, we felt that the hotel was fine, the staff was friendly, and we felt that we would stay there again when we were in this area. Unfortunately, I left an item in one of the rooms that we had reserved. I called the hotel the same day, to let them know that I had left something (which they found), and I requested that they ship it to me and I would pay for the package. Over the next month, I called 7 times, to find out why my item wasn't returned to me, to no avail. I requested that the manager contact me several times, but never received a call back. Whenever I would try to contact the manager, she was always 'out of the office'. I used to work in hospitality, customer service should be at the top of the list. This hotel, or actually the manager of this hotel, doesn't have a clue about customer service. On my last two calls, I requested to have my credit card credited for the price of the item that I left, since I'm apparently never getting it back. That didn't happen either. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I will never recommend it to anyone.

"Definitely Needs An Upgrade"

This Best Western is in need of repairs and updates. The lobby had a "pardon our dust" type of sign, and the ceiling above the front desk was torn up. John at the front desk was very nice and helpful, even recommending a place for dinner (On the Rocks) that we loved! The breakfast was pretty good. They have the obligatory Texas-shaped waffle maker (which we love), and we were surprised and delighted to find they had mini omelettes on the buffet! On the downside, our NON-smoking room had a cigarette burn on the comforter and overall the room was dingy and in need of updating. The area outside the rooms and on the stairs was COVERED in cigarette butts. :-(

Hotel was not worth the price ($142) a night and they said regular rate was over $150 a night. Rooms need updated with new carpet and air conditioning. Socks were very dirty after walking on carpet. Pool and hot tub not cleaned. There was grease or something gross in hot tub. This was reported, but not completely taken care of. Breakfast was good.

Room smelled a little smokey, but other than that, everything else was on point. Parking was a little tight as we arrived late and we had to park away from our room. We were happy to be on the bottom floor as we had quite a bit of scuba diving gear to lug inside.

We arrived at 3:45 and were told to come back later. We paid for a 3:00pm check-in. They couldn't tell us when it would be ready. In our sweaty workout clothes we went out around the town trying to kill time. We returned at 5:00pm and were told there was a room ready and clean but the pull out couch hadn't been put back in yet. We said that we fine. When we entered, we noticed there were no toiletries except two USED bars of soap. Gross! The room was not clean. Very disappointed. Only positive here was receptionist was nice and we were allowed late check-out. Clear mismanagement issue though. Very over-priced for what you get.

The check in staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The complimentary breakfast was fine. I was disappointed in the room quality. It had a little bit of a musty or smoky odor, even though it was a non-smoking room. The carpet on the floor had lots of stains and holes, including about a 4x4 inch rip in the dressing area. The bed only had a lamp and a night table on one side of the bed. I know it's just a Best Western, but that doesn't seem like it should be a big expense to upgrade to a reading lamp on both sides and a night table on both sides. I don't ask much of a small town motel, but would like to be able to read in bed at night at the same time as my wife and to then be able to set my glasses down on the night table and roll over to sleep.

We stayed a night here during a weekend. Everything was mostly full and expensive so I booked here instead of paying almost 300 usd for La quinta or holiday inn. The room was good in size. Friendly staff. Very clean and some what comfortable. No elevator though.

We walked into the room and the rug was stained, old and dirty. There was a bug crawling across one of the beds. There was obvious dirt in the edges of the rug in the bathroom area. I know they were remodeling rooms on both sides of us, but until they get this done I wouldn't lay my head down in this room, so we left....certainly not the four stars reviewed room I was led to believe. I chose BW Marble Falls for a number of reasons. First, reviews on Tripadvisor. Second, price which was much better than other hotels. I hesitated to book the hotel when I read that some rooms were smoking rooms. This was not a problem as my designated non-smoking room did not have any sense of secondary smoke or residual smoke from other rooms. The hotel was even better than I expected. The king bed room was large and very clean, comfortably furnished. I was greeted warmly at check-in. John repeatedly asked if I needed anything else and to let him know if I needed anything later. Breakfast was very good. I would have rated this facility higher if it were built with inside halls; however, it is an older structure but well maintained.

Spent 2 nights here over a weekend, did not check out the pool, but it looked adequate from inside, maybe not perfectly clean? The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety, including blueberry (Texas shaped) pancakes. Overall our stay was nice, and though the view isn't amazing from the hotel, it is a more inexpensive option to stay in while enjoying the hill country.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. The staff are most friendly, very informative and helpfull and make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and silent and you are in an excellant postion to scout the wonderfull surroundings and statepark and Austin is not so far away as you might think. We reccomend this hotel as a good place to stay and like to thank all staff memebers and especcially Tami, who gets up at four every morning to make a delicious breakfast for you all!

From the time I called to make reservations with the cheerful, friendly voice to check-in to our stay, we had a wonderful time. We had a long weekend in the Texas Hill Country and stayed for three nights at this Best Western. Each morning we had slightly different breakfast entrees, and each was excellent. We so appreciated the variety and the service and friendliness, especially that of Tami. The Inn appeared to have been recently updated, and it was spotless. There were good quality sheets and mattresses, and an abundance of fresh towels. We were impressed with the effort made to please the guests.

Every time we stay here it just keeps getting better ! The staff really makes sure that you are taken care of ! This property is very well maintained and is top notch. The staff at the hotel make the difference, it is an area that they excel in by providing assistance and making the stay worth it. The price point is fine for a basic room, great breakfast, and stop over location. The key to any hotel is the staff and this BW has some of the best people working to provide the guest with outstanding service.

We visited the swim holes and decided to book this hotel. We rarely stay in hotels rooms because of horrible previous experiences but. I gotta give it to Best Western!!! The room in this Hotel was A1. Very Clean Room. Friendly & helpful staff. The breakfast had alot of variety not plain and gross like others. Delicious & Nutritious Breakfast. Fun Time in the pool & hot tub with the family! Near by attractions and stores! Best Western is indeed the Best!

My wife and I were disappointed in some aspects of this Motel, and happy with others. Pool: very sad, full of algae, green water. Hot tub: VERY small, clean, Breakfast: OK to good with good selection. Nice scrambled eggs, good link sausage, good coffee & juice. Bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, waffles. Room: boring but clean with nice sheets and clean bath, good water pressure and hot water. However, strong smell of comet could not be defeated even when left door and window open for 3 hours. EXCELLENT: an opening window with screen. DVD's available to borrow. No harley noise till 8:30 AM, a plus. No train noise (no train) & AC is loud enough to drown traffic noise on US 281.Nice tables and chairs in pool area for al fresco breakfast. Pricey for what you get.

I organized to split a room with a friend and his young son, along with my young son to participate in a local tournament. I arranged the hotel and choose the Best Western with 2 queen sized beds. I did not want to stay in a cheaper hotel with the little boys. I was expecting the BW to be a 3 1/2 star hotel, because the price of the room was twice the price of cheaper hotels in the area. I was shocked to find the exact same rooms from 1 1/2 star local hotels in the area. The rooms even looked worse than the cheap local hotels. I was embarrassed that my friend had to pay for their half of the room, because I felt like I wasted their money.

Decided to stay here while on a business trip. Was awakened at 04:00 (AM) by a complete stranger opening my door. As soon as he saw me laying in bed half awake, slightly frightened & very annoyed he quickly shut the door and disappeared. I notified the front desk to ask who it opened my room and why they said they had no knowledge of anything. I called the law and had them come out but sadly they could do nothing as the entry was unforced and nothing had been stolen. It is a real shame that a hotel chain as large as this can't insure the safety of its guests nor manage and limit access to its own facilities. I would choose an alternative hotel if possible.

Dear Valued Guest, Please be assured that guest safety is our top priority and something we take very seriously at the Best Western Marble Falls. We have strict guidelines for our employees on how to handle guest safety and we provide our guests with the tools to be safe. Most hotels, including ours, have hotel doors that are set up with dual locking system as well as a chain/slide bar lock for even further security. One lock is an internally-accessible-only deadbolt and another is our electronic key system. It is impossible for a person to enter the room through the door if a guest within the room were to have locked the door properly with either the deadbolt or the slide lock. In addition, after your call to the front desk as well as the police, we checked our key system and found no evidence that any other keys were made or issued. The police verified that there was no forced entry and nothing was stolen. Marble Falls is a very nice community with a very low crime rate. We do not take lightly guests' concerns, however, after our investigation, it seems clear the door was not secured properly from within the room. We did have a fierce thunderstorm blow in from the south in the early morning hours. Since the door was apparently not properly secured by the deadbolt or slide lock and if it was pulled closed tightly, it easily could have blown open given the gusty thunderstorm winds. There could have been a person walking by the room with concern that a door was wide open at 4:00 a.m., but we nor the police found any trace of foul play. We regret you had an alarming wake up call from what appears to have been Mother Nature. It's always best to check your doors and windows and utilize the proper locking mechanisms before you turn in for the night whether at home or traveling. We hope that you will give Best Western and especially Best Western Marble Falls another chance to serve you in the future

Really liked having exterior and interior doors. Breakfast was good for hotel breakfast. It was quiet. The AC worked great. Beds are comfortable and the staff was friendly. The room was very clean, pillows soft. A good place to stay

This was the second time we had reserved this hotel and the first time we stayed. We were able to get a lower level room and it was absolutely perfect. The room was comfortable and clean and smelled nice. The breakfast was more than adequate and the front desk staff was kind and accommodating. The location was perfect for us. The pool was fine, nothing fancy, but was perfect for our kids. You will definitely have a great stay here.

This is an excellent hotel for the value! My husband and I were very pleased with the attentiveness of the hotel employees. We requested a quiet room following our eight hour drive and were kindly accommodated by the on-site host. I booked online and was given a great discount! This hotel seemed somewhat older, but the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Included breakfast was small but very good, and food was warm. We were there for a family health emergency, but we would definitely stay there again. The sign said the hotel said wifi, but the password wasn't offered, and I just never asked for it.

"Good Stop Over Stay"

This motel is older in style with the rooms facing outdoors. One side faces a Sonic restaurant on the side which can get noisy on weekends. The rooms were clean and the amount of space was good. We liked the vanitory outside the bathroom which helped with three women trying to get ready at one time. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. You can borrow a DVD from the front desk and enjoy it in your room. The breakfast was the usual but plentiful and fresh. All in all this was a great stay outside of Austin for a good price. We would stay here again. Try the Bluebonnet Cafe right down the street for some great pie!

We had a great one night stay. When we checked in Severe Weather was coming so it put a damper on our plans however they had a DVD lending library which helped entertain our kids for the evening. The room was spacious, clean and smelled fresh. The room had a DVD player, mini refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker. Breakfast the next morning was the standard Best Western breakfast we look forward to. Eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, fruit, bagels, toast & pastries. They had a small outdoor pool & hot tub. It was minutes from anything in Marble Falls. It wasn't a 5 star hotel but it was a 5 star best western. For those who travel with pets, they are pet friendly. This is the second hotel we have stayed at in Marble Falls and while it wasn't our favorite, we were pleased and would stay again.

We have stayed here many times and will definitely return!!! LOVE the "Jacuzzi" in the room and Marble Falls has a lot of fun and beauty to offer! We especially love Perissos Winery, walking down by the lake, dining on the lake. I guess the only thing I could say that they might improve upon is the quality of food offered for breakfast...Better eggs, better sausage or offer bacon? They do offer fresh fruit, etc. so, you won't go hungry for sure but, the food could be better :/ Again, though "Overall" this is a GREAT place to stay! Super nice staff and clean :)

This was my second time to stay here. The front desk lady was wonderful again. Accommodated a change in my room. Very nice. Room is nothing fancy but it's clean and reasonably priced. Good location. Rooms open to the outside. If I was traveling alone I wouldn't stay just because I'd feel safer with a inside room. Not that it isn't safe. Just because I'm a women and the world is crazy.

Had trouble with refrigerator and a/c not working. Encountered a few (tiny) roaches. Was moved immediately to a room very nearby for my convenience and the second room was exceptionally clean and in working order.

Than you Anita D for taking a moment to comment on your stay. We accidentally checked you into a room that was not supposed to be put back in service. We had a long-term guest staying in that room who had to go into the hospital. Some food was left out for a few days and attracted some bugs. We normally treat a room like this TWICE but we made a mistake. We bombed the room immediately but didn't get the professional service we use to treat that room when they came. All electrical appliances were unplugged during treatment so naturally they didn't work. I'm glad your second room was exceptionally clean with everything in working order.

Room was comfortable, but our refrigerator did not work when we checked in. Water dripped out of the facet all night in bathroom. Both items were corrected after we notified front desk. We really like the fact that they used Fitness Anytime as their fitness alternative to on site. Bed was bit hard, but ok.

Thank you for your review Richard P. I am surprised your refrigerator did not work when you arrived. Although they eventually break down they are commercial grade so it is rare that we have to replace one. Many times the previous guest (or children) have turned the knob up or down causing it to appear not to be cooling or freezing everything! Or it could freeze up and just need to be unplugged for a short period. We are glad you notified the front desk and they were able to satisfy you. The Anytime Fitness Center that we contract with gives us the best work out facility of any hotel in the area. We may not be the most expensive hotel in town but we can still act like it!

The manager who checked us in was very kind and let us know where we could park our truck and trailer. Our room was very nice, though I didn't care for the small pillows. We didn't try the breakfast but there was coffee available in the lobby all hours. Very reasonable rates.

This is our second visit to this property. The staff is super friendly and efficient, check-in is a breeze, rates are great, and the accommodations are more than adequate. A hot breakfast served daily, not just some continental items! The beds are comfortable and the pillows are fluffy. If I had one negative to say about the property it would be either the air freshener or carpet freshener that they use after cleaning. It is very strong and for those with breathing difficulties or asthma, it might cause a problem. I would hope that they could use some unscented cleaners instead. The best thing about this property is that they are EXTREMELY PET FRIENDLY! This makes my wife happy :) Highly Recommend this property!!

Pros: Desk staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Close (even walking distance) to restaurants and shops. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Cheap rates. Tea and coffee available in the lobby 24 hrs. Surprisingly quiet, did not notice traffic noise. Cons: While there is also a door that opens to the central hallway, it had a door that opened to the outside, as a solo female, I do not feel safe. Also, the window next to the door had wooden shutters, and faced a business that left the lights on 24 hrs, so it was bright enough in my room that I could read all night. The bathtub was dirty (possibly blood, or boogers???), I did not even take a shower. The remote control, which was packaged as a "clean remote," had food or something on it, I wiped it with Clorox wipes I had with me. Bathroom floor was sticky.

The convenient Sonic drive-in next door turns it's lights off around 11pm or midnight so I am not sure why they were on all night when you stayed. (We previously haven't had any complaints about the blinds in that room?). I am have assembled my staff and made them aware of your issues and we hope to see you again in the future.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was standard Best Western fare. The room AC/heating was neither too hot or too cold, and thankfully it was humid as we have found in other Best Westerns. All in all, a nice experience.

Excellent stay/ excellent staff--very caring. Motel in process of taking care of some previously deferred maintenance projects---these did not impair excellence of this stay. This location is perfect for our bicycling group, with many good rides in the TX Hill Country nearby, with some accessible right from the motel Plenty of good restaurants nearby. i have also used nearby Urgent Care medical facilities which were excellent

Need larger size drinks or snacks for your lake trip, golf outing or day at the Adventure Park? We have a dollar store right next door. We also have the most common over the counter medicines our guests might need but we are only a one block walk from a major chain drug store! And restaurants of all kinds are within blocks of our hotel. We have the most convenient location of any hotel in Marble Falls!

I stayed here for a few days for business. I was greeted with friendly faces, impressive staff members, clean environment, and a great breakfast! I noticed that they had put out some decorations for Christmas, which I found to be very thoughtful. You can tell management pays attention to the little details in & out of the room. There was a Front Desk clerk who I was especially impressed with, I believe her name was Grace. Every time I would see her she was smiling & happy to stop and have a conversation with you. She was always quick to make sure I was taken care of, and did a great job on breakfast. I also was greeted with a friendly manager who really seemed to care about the guest & our needs. I really was just so impressed. I highly recommend this Best Western, they work hard to make you feel at home.

Working in area & stayed here. Brief but nice. Older style on outside with doors that open outside. Inside was nicely updated & a fairly large room. Of course no swimming as its cold, but they do have a nice outdoor pool. I highly recommend a room in the middle of hotel due to road noise. It has a nice location with easy access. Fresh coffee & comfy beds. Clean & smells fresh . Will stay again when working in area.

Room was typical of new BWs in small towns, but the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. We were visiting family in town and they came by the hotel to say good bye. We all had a great breakfast together and they even comped additional family's meals who didn't stay the night. Great overall experience. Also loved that you could check out movies from the front desk, each room had a dad player.

This is a budget hotel that is not as competitively priced as other budget hotels in town. You're better off going either up or downscale. $15 more, and you're in a much better category in this town. $20 less, and you won't notice the difference in facilities and service.

I am sorry we weren't the hotel for you Mr. Litton. Because you booked through Expedia I do not know what they charged you. What we charged them was a low rate and our hotel is easily worth that rate. As our other Trip Advisor reviews show, our guests usually do notice the difference between our hotel and cheaper, budget hotels. Those priced lower than us have an inferior breakfast, smaller pool, no DVD Players or Free DVD Loaner Library and no agreement that lets our guests work out at the Anytime Fitness behind us for free. (And they just added a free massage machine!) Please call us directly if you return to our area for the lowest rate available.

My husband have stayed at this motel a number of times, and everything has been fine. This past visit wasn't all that satisfactory. The room was clean, but we had minimal coffee supplies in the room. I went to the desk to request additional packets, and the poor clerk had a hard time finding more. I would think this would be a pretty standard request, but obviously the management there is running things on a shoestring and supplies are kept to a minimum. I had to call for an extra blanket as none were in the room. Again, the poor clerk valiantly scrounged and found one. The absolute WORST thing about this visit was the lack of hot water. It was cold and rainy during our visit, and I also had a bad head cold. All I wanted was a nice hot bath and a comfortable bed. I only got one of those. I called the desk and was told maintenance would take care of it. Next morning, still only tepid water. Breakfast was pretty good, and as always, the staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be. This is clearly a problem of poor management trying to squeeze every last dime of profit from customers. I was disappointed as we've stayed here many times and always been satisfied.

Dear wordwiz00, thank you for being a repeat guest. I am happy you found your room clean as usual, enjoyed the breakfast and found our staff friendly and helpful! As for the 3 problems you experienced during your stay: 1. I fully understand how nice a hot bath or shower is during a cold, rainy day. (It's even better on a snowy day.) It turns out that out hot water boilers are all working fine (which is why no one else complained) but our water softener had a valve problem that allowed water to continuously run through it which let hot water escape. The hot water was fine except for the last guest showering. (We can't tell when plumbing parts might wear out.) 2. Blankets are kept 20 feet in the linen closet. All 5 members of the front desk staff know where they are so I am very surprised there was any problem at all getting you one. 3. I recently took over the ordering of supplies and underestimated how much our guests like our in-room coffee. (Usually we serve the famous Wolfgang Puck brand despite it's high cost.) Although we ran out in our supply closet there were still coffee packs on the housekeeping carts which is why it took the new employee a moment to locate them. (Our ownership has spent thousands of dollars on the hotel exterior this past year and will be spending more to drastically improve our lobby and meeting room this coming year. I've seen the plans and they are very exciting.) I am sorry we gave you the misperception that we are cutting corners when we are doing the opposite.

I've stayed here twice and found it comfortable, accommodating, and great for a single woman traveling alone. I had problems with my new, replacement iPhone I had received earlier that day and could not get the telephone function to work, I contacted my provider on my laptop via texting at their website. After tech figured out my phone did not have a necessary card in it, I was told to get a very small paper clip to use to try to push a tiny button --- I ran down to the desk clerk at almost 10:00 pm while the phone tech waited on the laptop in my room, the clerk quickly found the small paperclip I needed and that saved the day for me and the tech gave me a code to punch into my phone to fix it. Best Western Inns in my experience have the best, most accommodating, friendly desk clerks of any hotel of this price range. I prefer Best Western when I travel for that reason (plus the comfortable, updated beds, rooms, and baths. This hotel is by the highway but I had no highway nor traveler noise in my room and the room was very comfortable. I had 2 stays here, October and December, 2015.

My husband and I spent two nights over Thanksgiving at this hotel and found it provided good value for the price and service was especially good. The night clerk, Grace, was especially helpful to my husband when he had some problems in the business center. We will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Marble Falls area,

I just had a very good stay with excellent service for a short trip with my daughter and never been in Marble Falls before. We were their to visit a park site and star gazing event. We did take advantage of the free movie selection and the breakfast buffet in the morning before returning home.

You don't mention where your dark viewing area was but I am sure there are many sites nearby with very low light pollution. One of many, many reasons to come to Marble Falls for a great getaway. Excellent service and staff. The room was clean. The breakfast was nice. My family enjoyed the in room DVD player and complimentary movies. It was a pleasant stay. I would recommend both the hotel and the town to others.

We really like it when we know our younger guests are happy here. We have a pretty good selection of kid's movies and always are interested in what the kids want so make sure they let us know. We've been known to go out and purchase their request immediately if we can find it! See your group next year.

My family had a nice stay at the Best Western in Marble Falls, Staff was friendly and professional. I would consider staying here again. They helped us with directions to wedding venue and to Blue Bonnet Café . We had great time

I had to stay at Hill Country Inn the first night as I waited too late to make reservations. I will not make the same mistake again. I recommend Best Western Marble Falls Inn, Marble Falls, Texas for anyone's stay in Marble Falls. It was about $10 cheaper than Hill Country Inn. Staff were exceptional, breakfast was fantastic, and everything was clean. Check in clerk was friendly at check in and very helpful later at night when I needed a snack due to low blood sugar.

Great staff,restful night,nice breakfast.I left an item in the room and got a call to return and claim it.Thanks for an honest staff.We stay here 5-6 times a year while working on our retirement property.We can hardly wait to move to God's beautiful Texas Hill Country!! Thanks again !

We had our out of town guests stay here the weekend of our wedding. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. Everyone was so nice, easy to work with, and excited to have our group there. The hotel was clean, and breakfast was pretty good! If I had to say anything bad, housekeeping did come a bit early...

Weather was going to be nice so we decided to head to the hill country and explore Marble Falls area and enjoy eating out in the country air. Drove around the area lakes and went shopping at local stores. Went to Russo's for Dinner and was great we set outdoor, next night we went to On The Rocks and also set outside view and food was excellent

Thanks for your review wessels072482. Because we are a tourist destination we enjoy more great places to eat than you would normally find in a town this size. I'm pleased you liked the bird's eye view from Russo's Restaurant. My wife and I love it too! (I hope you were aware we have coupons from Russo's for 15% off for our guests!) It's nice you found On The Rocks and their lake view also! We do have a number of guests like yourselves who extend their 1-day stay because they found so much to like here. Hope to see you again.

Staff is great and the hot breakfast was very good. They even ran it longer than normal for our group this weekend which was amazing. They also have a dvd player and dvds in the lobby that you can use which is great. I would definitely use this hotel again if we got back to Marble Falls. Only knock was the beds were fairly hard which I don't like but others may.

All excellent except one morning was bad breakfast (cold). The only other complaint I have is to make up more characters just to make someone else happy. So the clerk or manager that was there the daay of checkone was very helpful. Didn't catch her name.

I am sorry your breakfast was cold, we have a new employee involved with our buffet who simply forgot to turn our electric chaffers on. We realized our error and the following guests got the hot and delicious breakfast we usually provide. And so will you during your next visit. I promise.

We have stayed at this hotel two years in a row. It is nice and has a great breakfast. Surprised there was a king bed option. It is a little dated but we were not there to stay in hotel. Nice location and lots of things to do in the area. Good value.
