Best Western Manchester Altrincham Cresta Court Hotel

If I must say so Myself some of the staff at the hotel was great Sam behind the bar and the other chap that works the from of house for the kitchen he was great needed my eggs well done and he would sort it for me every morning up until I left knowing I had work it was ready and waiting so thank you for that. But that horrible woman on the reception she honestly needs the sack and I will be putting in a complaint about her also as I checked out in a rush at 7 and left my charger behind I walked to the tram to go work and realised I left it in the room so I called up at 7.15 and I know the cleaners do not start till 8 so more than enough time for her to get it when I asked if she could just go to the room please to get my charger told her it was behind the TV and she said no I asked why as the cleaners wasn't there yet she said no I asked can she not get it and put it behind the desk and she just constantly replied no I asked why she just said no. I rang up the same day in hope she was gone a d she was still there and said ill have a look and ended up coming back on the phone saying I mentioned it to a colleague and its not on reception but it might be in the safe so the next morning I went down before I started work she was still on the desk I asked is there a manager in she said she was the manager I said so why can't you open the safe to check she said she doesn't have the code which I thought was a bit odd and she told me to try again later as manager I'd in at 8 terrible terrible service she needs sacking.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Was booked to stay here for 2 night for the Manchester Marathon this weekend, turned up at 8pm tonight to check in only to face some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Was told very abruptly and with no apology there was no room ready and that bizarrely the ‘room was unsafe' yet when we asked why, we were repeatedly told ‘I can't tell you' by the very angry lady behind the desk (chin piercing & glasses). She could not tell me how long it would be to sort and did not once offer an apology. She then dramatically stormed off for 20 minutes claiming she was finding a manager who never appeared. The angry receptionist returned to tell me a room was ready and had been ‘cleaned by a colleague' after issues with housekeeping. She still would not explain what had been ‘unsafe' about it and what her earlier dramatics were about. As a result of mainly her attitude, I (correctly) refused to sign for the room until I saw it myself. On going up to the room I shockingly found I had been given key cards to an already occupied room with belongings all over the bed. Thankfully I didn't walk in on a poor unsuspecting guest sat on the toilet. On returning to the desk, the angry receptionist seemed exasperated that I had issue with being given the keys to an occupied room. As if it was me at fault and not her incredibly shocking customer service. Then while stood around waiting yet again for a manager I watched an older white couple receive a very different reception to me. I hate to pull the race card, but to be honest it's hard not to. Fast forward another 20minutes and I finally found a supervisor who was at least polite, apologetic and appeared to understand customer service. By this point there was no way I was staying in this hotel. I was gratefully issued a cancellation and refund. Honestly I'd rather sleep in my car but thankfully I have family in Manchester I can stay with. I understand it's a busy weekend for the hotel, and the receptionist is stressed I'm sure. I understand stress, I'm an A&E Consultant. But I would never speak to someone how I was spoken to this evening, and if I did I would know it's time for me to leave that job.

I stayed here for one night whilst working in the area. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downside I would say is that the room was showing some signs of age and the same in parts of the hallway and could do with redecorating. There was adequate parking in the carpark. I would stay here again.

To be fair this one star is aimed at the owners , the breakfast manager had to scold me like a naughty schoolboy and I could tell she felt embarrassed as she apologized but said it's her job and the owners rules. NOTHING can be taken away so forget making yourself a little bacon sandwich the hotel reckons if you die from eating it they are liable , I have no idea how takeaways are still operating if this is a fear , I also questioned about waste though and said surely this cooked food needs to be eaten so taking a bit of bacon isn't doing much harm and apparently the staff all eat it. I'd love to see this after breakfast is finished , do they roll out all the mountain of bacon sausages eggs hash browns etc etc and force feed their staff it to ensure not one morsel of food is wasted. To be fair I cut the hotel a break because I don't care much but let's be honest the rooms are dated it's all old and shoddy looking . Maybe the owners should focus more on the hotel than monitoring guests at breakfast.

We stayed here for a football event and would definitely stay again. The hotel was clean, good black out blinds, plenty storage, good area for females to get ready with a table for appliances, slept very well. The food at breakfast and in the evening was very good, real cornflakes and orange juice, local sausage and Bury black pudding, quality bacon and fabulous coffee made with ground beans was very enjoyable, varied choices and ample quantities, must recommend the Lamb Henry, melt in the mouth, totally high end restaurant level quality. The staff were efficient but friendly and very helpful, nothing was any trouble. Lovely welcome! The tweaks to this hotel would be better lighting in the bedroom, it is very poor, dark lampshades aren't ambient just dull and ineffective. Soap bars went out in 1985, get refill bottles fitted to the wall. Small plastic toiletries are not cost effective and not environmentally friendly. Don't believe the bad reviews, this is a very well run hotel and would have no hesitancy booking again, very enjoyable, many thanks to Danielle and her team for making our trip fabulous! We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Cresta Court while attending a local football tournament. We travelled with a group of 36, 18 of them teenage boys. We were concerned after reading some of the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. Danielle was amazing and met us personally on arrival, she had arranged a fast group check in for us and stayed until everyone was settled just in case they were any issues. She devised a menu for us as we were half board and the food was great. I stayed in a family room on the first floor, it was massive and more than met our needs. Yes it's a wee bit dated in places but overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff were fantastic, shout out to Sam who worked hard behind the bar and always had a smile and plenty of chat. We would return if ever back down this way, Danielle organised everything so well and even arranged for us to hire a room to allow us to celebrate our boys winning the tournament. Thanks so much to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.

Tiny room and very cramped bathroom with no light over the mirror. Good handheld shower. No drawers and little storage space. Food standard not good, breakfast acceptable but limited and unchanging. Dinner quality poor - a long wait to be served tough steak. The young staff do their best and were always pleasant and helpful.

The poor ratings seem a bit overdone, and 3.5☆ might be fairer. The staff were pleasant, and the rooms comfortable, with all amenities, including free WiFi. The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear here and there, but nothing too serious. It is also situated right at the edge of the town centre, with multiple restaurants and pedestrianised shopping area within 300-500m. The breakfast was good, but the formal dinner wasn't, it being late and slow to serve, plus the roast beef was more akin to leather, and the Yorkshire puddings extremely tough and hard to cut. Not the worst have stayed in by any means.

Very disappointed with this hotel. After attending an evening at the hotel for a party night I was given a parking ticket after driving there and parked in the carpark. When booking there was no indication that you had to check your car in at the desk. It isn't on the ticket or on the website either. There are a couple of signs that are difficult to see, particular when it's dark like when I arrived. When I rang the hotel they said they could cancel the ticket but there would be a £25 admin fee. I paid the fee immediately however, a few weeks later I received a debt collect letter. I rang the debt collectors and they said that it hadn't been cancelled by the hotel via the parking company. Fast forward 4 months and it has only just been resolved. I have had to spend many hours making phone calls and being passed back and forth between the debt collectors, hotel and parking company. I made a complaint to the hotel and requested that the least they could do was refund the £25 administration fee as there incompetency had caused alot of stress and taken many hours trying to resolve this issue, which they refused accepting no responsibility. I felt compelled to write this review so noone else has to go through what I've had to. It feels like, yet another, car parking money making scam.

The hotel was terrible. It resulted in me having to leave & find somewhere else to stay at 9pm on the night of arrival. I've been to hotels that are a little bit grubby, then there's this place, absolutely filthy. It felt unsafe. This was the worst hotel for cleanliness I've ever experienced. It needs closing down. The restaurant area looks nothing like the photos. Seat covers were dirty and hanging off the chairs. Floors and tables were tacky. The walls in the hallway are falling apart and bad state of repair. Water marks all over the ceilings. Everything felt tacky and dirty. The room itself was disgusting. There was blood on the bathroom floor, black mould on the shower head. Radiator was all dented and black dirt all over it. Curtains were dirty. There was drips coming through the ceiling . There was so much dust and cobwebs above the bed. The mattress felt like concrete and the whole place just smelt musky and dirty. I was offered a room upgrade but the whole place was so dirty & grubby I declined. I couldn't bring myself to stay. Anyone who stays there is at high risk of infection. Those with an autoimmune disease I wouldn't even consider it. I was told to request a refund through booking.com which I did but unfortunately Best western then declined it after telling me they'd authorise it when they received the request. They clearly lied.

Paid extra for a “King” room rather than “Standard” but it was tiny - thought I'd been given wrong room. Would have called reception but room phone wasn't plugged into the wall and the cord was wrapped around it. At reception, was told a larger room would be the “Exec” at an extra cost. The Exec room was large, but really awful - Room 328 had curtains off the hooks, the toilet flush was loose, the socket nearest the bed was blocked and unusable, the plug-in wall heater didn't work and there was a random large unplugged fridge sitting on the vanity desk with nothing inside it. Reception didn't note or take interest in the faults, just said they were renovating room by room and they'd get to it. Meanwhile - they're happy to charge you full price. Avoid and try Premier Inn.

Apart from the foyer, this hotel from the moment we arrived gave me the impression of needing a total revamp. The car park is tatty, dirty and seemingly unsecure. The exterior appearance is poor with peeling paint. the foyer as I said was presentable but the carpets leading to the bedrooms is badly worn and the bedrooms themselves are very dated and quite simply worn out. Poor value even for a budget hotel.

This hotel is OK, but bear in mind it is a “doggy friendly” hotel. So if you're not keen on dogs wandering around or being woken up early by your doggy neighbour barking, don't stay here. The bathroom was a bit shabby but clean enough. The breakfast was average.

I stayed here for work, but wouldn't stay again. Check in was slow, but it was quite busy. They couldn't find my reservation even though it had been booked and paid for through a 3rd party due to it being business and I had emails to remind me from best western to check in in advance which I had done. They took a credit card for anything additional, I should have refused like my colleague did. The room was small but appeared fine for one night. The bathroom was very old and at first I thought I was going to have to have a bath as the shower wouldn't come on, but made a very loud clunking sound!! Eventually it started to work with a very fine mist!! There was nothing on the shower head to change it! I checked out the menu and decided to eat out, it wasn't particularly an inspiring menu. Sleep wise it was very hot in the room and the bed was extremely hard that my hips were hurting. I got up to find out I had been bitten in a few places!! I went down for breakfast at 7am, so not particularly late and the food was luke warm. Instead of being in a heated buffet area, the food was in containers warmed by little candles. They didn't keep the food hot. I checked out and was told all was in order and my colleague who checked out was told he had to pay, so he said you have to speak to the 3rd party booking and off we went. I should have been suspicious!! 2 days later I checked my card as I had a suspicion and I was right, they had charged me for the room! So it had been paid twice! I did eventually get a refund. I have read some of the reviews and double charging seems to be a theme here, so check your credit card!!! I will regularly be coming to the area with work but i would not stay here again.

Stayed in a twin room as needed to be close to the airport so wasn't bothered about luxury but it was awful. - lock didn't work on bathroom - old pipes were noisy - tatty furnishings and furniture - one bath towel provided for two people - room was down a tatty run down corridor - tried to charge me 2x. I was told that they attempted to change me again (bank stopped it) as i'd made the booking direct through the Best Western site and the accounts team were just working through the guest ledger and changing people coming to stay (no checking if it had been paid already). - bed was really uncomfortable and rock hard - cobwebs on walls and ceiling - stained carpet - Adjoining room door which we could hear people next door through.

Stayed here as a friend of mine who lives in Altrincham recommended to me a while ago. I don't know where they stayed but this hotel is definitely not the place described to me. Check in was fine, hotel seemed quite quiet and a lovely lady on reception checked me into my room. Hotel looks incredibly aged from the moment you pull up at the front the building looks derelict, can't say my room was far better. Walked into the bar area to see a bunch of tattered chairs with chair covers that don't seem to fit, ordered a drink at the bar to be told they don't have that available, ordered another drink instead to be told again that it wasn't available. Room smelt like damp and was cold took ages for the room to heat up, staff working seemed to be enjoying each others company but not much attention paid to the actual paying customers. Don't know where my friend stayed in the past or what has happened in the years since but cresta court is definitely not somewhere worth recommending. Didn't bother complaining on checkout after seeing other reviews for the hotel as my form of entertainment for the evening. They clearly don't listen or care, don't stay here.

I felt completely compelled to leave a review and warn fellow travellers from visiting this hotel! The building looks like it's falling apart… well it is, the signs are missing half the covers the entrance canopy is falling down and full of holes and place could be mistaken for being closed. Check in was ok, however upon arriving at the room, old, tired, worn out room that needs refurbishing, you'd be mistaken thinking you'd checked in to a Britannia property. What was worrying and made me leave this review is the conversations we overheard between staff in the bar area, the hotel is overrun with rats!!! the kitchens have rats that have chewed through electrics, why this property still has its kitchens open when they have rats in their kitchens is beyond me! Place needs bulldozing shocked Best Western have put their name to this place so they not check these hotels? I will not stay with Best Western again!

Super staff. Good breakfast. The location is perfect for connections to Manchester. The Altrincham Interchange is just a short walk. The iare also several shops and eating places nearby. We will return.

We had a king room booked but were given one with an old sofa bed too. The bathroom lock didn't work, there was a tear across the entire carpet and the ventilation outside was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think. We asked to swap and were transferred to another king room so small we could barely move, with decor that felt like student digs. The carpet was stained as were the pillowcases, there was a big streak of something that I hope was makeup down the sink, a couple of the light switches only worked some of the time, the shower curtain was badly stained, there were hairs left behind in the bath from the previous guests, and the TV was mounted at an angle and kept slipping back. I have no complaints about the staff or the restaurant, but definitely wouldn't stay again.

This hotel is getting very tired. Booked a cozy executive room and it was more than cozy! There was very little room to move. The bed was broken at one end. The TV did not work until you found the controls on the back of it. The remote even though it was showing as working didn't. The bathroom is dated and all in all this room needs a huge make over. Front of house staff seemed very grumpy and didn't want to engage. The best experience I had was from the lovely barmaid who made our coffees and the lovely lady at breakfast. Both served us with a huge smile. I will be staying else where in the future when coming to Altrincham.

This is a convenient hotel w/loads of free parking so it's used for airport parking. Small rooms but ok though. Long queue to check in and at dinner, so seemed understaffed. No air con and rooms can get stuffy. Also next to a loud main road. So I wouldn't stay here on a hot day. But still okay most of the time. They do put a fan in the room. The room had a rather unpleasant smell which did not go despite leaving the windows open for long periods. No idea what it was. I think the carpet may have needed cleaning. Key card stopped working the next day - had to get another one. This really is one of my pet hates. No apology despite the irritating waste of time caused by this and the queuing at reception (again). No doubt due to an antiquated key card system. At the very least, when this happens, an apology should be offered. Then the WiFi failed on the second day of my stay, saying “no more sessions are allowed”. It did reconnect next on the second try though. I couldn't be bothered dealing with the slightly arsey receptionist again so I just gave up, but it was unsatisfactory. The room didn't get cleaned on the second day which I found annoying too. Hotels seem to think they can get away with that now, ever since Covid. Having said that the price was good at £70 a night and I'd stay here again at that price. I don't think it's worth much more.

Hotel needs smartening up and decorating perfect place to stay for our needs just looking tired and in need of smartening up. Some new bar furniture would be a start and decorating is needed urgently.

This was like something left behind in the 1980s. It needs completely refurbishing. Definitely not worth the money- so disappointing. I would not advise anyone to stay here. The breakfast is also super basic and uninspiring. Staff ok but a shoddy experience overall.

Fast and efficient friendly reception and easy parking. Compact room ideal for a pre flight nap. However DO NOT EAT at the "restaurant." I did offer to pay 50% for the half cooked fish and chips and was told "I can't reduce the price just because you don't like it" Hmmm

A very old and tired hotel. Room was very small and bathroom outdated. Single use plastic shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles which once opened, need to be thrown away as the seal has snapped. Walls are very thin that you can hear a conversation going on in the next room. Foyer was pleasant.

Stayed for 5 nights for work with my service dog. Wonderful welcome from Cheyenne on arrival, easy check in. Room was clean, housekeeping clearly take pride in their work. Breakfast chef and waiting staff extremely friendly. Nice atmosphere in the evenings. This hotel is an excellent choice for work stays. It's convenient, functional and felt safe. We were allocated a twin room overlooking the horrible courtyard. Only took 5 minutes to take all our baggage back to reception to ask for a room change. Very helpfull reception gave us another room which a bit betterwas overlooking road and in better shape . This is a tired even scruffy hotel . Well cleaned but lots of basic decorating needed. Clearly Best Western dont invest and let the staff down. Good position . Big car park . We would not book here again and i imagine many others think the same. Do better Best Western. Look at your rooms . clean the stained curtains 240 fix the broken tiles paint the radiator . All basic stuff.

We stayed one night at the Best Western hotel in Altringham as we were meeting friends nearby. We chose the hotel because it has a very good amount of (free) car parking and also was within walking distance of the Metro station that we planned to use the following day. Arriving late afternoon on a Friday in August, we were first told that the hotel had no record of our booking. Apparently, the booking system has been 'upgraded' during the year and any bookings made in the early part of 2023 while not ‘lost' are not to hand and need to be ‘found' in the registry. One member of staff was struggling to cope with this reoccurring problem not helped by the subsequent arrival of a coach party. After about an hour's delay, we were given the pass key to our room on the second floor though unfortunately the lifts were not working either, (though they were operational when we checked out the following day). Our room was fairly spacious and airy and the large windows looked out over the street below. The room was furnished with double bed, desk and dressing table, and an open wardrobe. Tea & coffee making facilities were provided and a flatscreen tv was on the wall. The bed had two bedside shelves with independent lights and the main room lights could be switched from here as well. The bathroom had a bath with mixer shower, basin and toilet. A light with shaving socket was above a mirror over the basin. The room was clean and in a good state of repair. We were out for the evening but returned late on to find a function taking place at the hotel though still managed to easily find a parking space in the spacious car park. We both slept well in the room and arose the next morning for breakfast. Breakfast was served in a large room off of the bar area and comprised a buffet style English breakfast with additional options for cereal, fruit, bread and toast. Teas, coffee and fruit juices were also available. Customer parking here is valid for 24 hours from 'check in' and so we had time after our breakfast to travel to another appointment in Manchester using the Metro before returning, collecting the car and moving on to our next destination. In summary, despite an unexpected delay checking in and having to haul two suitcases up two flights of stairs, our stay was not an unpleasant one. The hotel met the criteria for our visit in that it had ample parking spaces and was close to Altringham Metro station, being able to leave the car in the car park whilst we visited Manchester was also a bonus. We both slept well and the breakfast kept us going well into Saturday. Would certainly consider visiting here again if we were in the area.

Overall Hotel is not to bad to stay in. A little dated in the rooms. However my 86 year old father and I stayed for 2 days to attend a Funeral. When we returned on our second night at 10.30 pm we requested to order food. We were informed that the kitchen was closed. I asked for alternative options or any other restaurant nearby. The Bar lady and reception person were unable to help. I asked if the manager could help. He just referred me to the ts & Cs of the booking with no help or advise to address my hungry 86 year old father. I asked the manager for his name. He replied Harry, but would not offer his surname, as I wanted to make a complaint of the lack of care and interest. As a result my Father and I had to go to bed hungry.

It was just a budget hotel, the room was compact. We slept well. We tried to eat at the restaurant and after being shown to our table NO BODY came to us for 15 minutes. We got up and walked out they just looked at us walking out not good. It was local to where we wanted to be that's why we choose it.

Park and fly service is very reasonable we have used this hotel in the past when flying abroad the service is great you stay the night before you fly then the hotel arrange a taxi to take you to Manchester Airport pre flight and you leave the car at the hotel then on return the same service is provided to get you back to your car all inclusive in the price

I stayed here with my friend before setting of to the airport the next day. The team on reception were extremely informative and made the process extremely easy. Great dinner options as well as comfortable rooms.

I have just returned from two nights in this hotel. It was during the September heat wave, and I certainly felt it in the room. There is no air conditioning in the bedroom itself, with the only relief from a fan. Even with that running and windows being left open. It was very hot and stuffy all night long. On the other hand, the breakfast and dinner in the townfield restaurant was good, friendly staff. The hotel is in a good location, with adequate parking. The hotel room whilst hot was spacious and comfortable.

We had to overnight due to cancelled flights so the room was booked last minute the receptionist was friendly and efficient and he found our booking we had a few drinks in the bar which was comfortable the room is functional with tea and coffee making facilities …..the hotel is situated a stones throw from bars and restaurants in altrincham so a good location wouldn't hesitate to stay again if needed a hotel very good value at £70 room only for two people

Just to start the guy who works on your reception was amazing and a credit to your hotel. Stayed in lots of hotels over the years and he was probably the most nicest welcoming person you could meet. The hotel room was ok clean and what you would expect for the price and star rating. The breakfast was lovely however the morning staff on for breakfast need some skills on customer service. We got told to " sit at a table and we will come and clean it " it was obviously busy so a lot of tables hadn't been cleaned.. my partner went to sit at a clean table with comfy chairs but was told immediately to move as they had coach loads coming in. Very humiliated we moved but the next couple to sit down got left to enjoy breakfast at the same seat. The lady working seemed very overwhelmed and seemed to be taking it out on customers . We have stayed in lots of best westerns but never have we been treated like this. We had such a lovely evening but was ruined by the breakfast staffs behaviour if you are busy don't take it out on paying customers. Customer service makes a huge difference to someone's stay if the hotel lacks it people will be less inclined to come back.

I stayed with my daughter in a king room. I found it very basic for the price and the bed was too soft and uncomfortable. The shower curtain was yellow with age and the shower was feeble. It is definitely in need of some updating! The staff were friendly and the location was handy for the airport.

We are staying on stay, park fly offer. We've been here before. This hotel is very nice, clean, basic rooms. Amazing helpful staff who go above and beyond. Nicely situated, easy to find, definitely recommend this hotel

Handy location as the hotel is close to the airport and has ample free parking. It is a short walk if you want to visit the "downtown" area. We are happy that we can get a good night's sleep at the BW Cresta Court as we find it much quieter than another Altrincham hotel we have stayed at.

x 3 males stayed for a local gig. Confusion at check in, it was gone 4pm and room wasn't ready. Got given an unacceptable room due to sleeping arrangements. That was then sorted. Shower was extremely hot with no deviation no matter what we did. Staff were polite and helpful and remedied all minor problems. Room was clean and functional. Breakfast was first class and plentiful.

Overnight stay before daughter flew out. Great rooms - Exec King is great size. Great service for free taxi transfer to airport (even if we confused the hotel team, 3 needing to return 90 minutes after leaving!) Food Great at dinner and breakfast. Service good too, although reminder needed for additional bedding for sofa bed in Exec room. Otherwise great value and friendly team

The bed was comfy, pillows perfect both felt deluxe so obviously slept very well the room was clean and had everything necessary for a perfect nights stay. The concierge and reception staff manager were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was bountiful and no request was too much chef and waiting staff polite and efficient. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Brilliant place for an airport stop over. Cracking value for money. Room was lovely, plenty of parking at the hotel and transfer service smooth and well organised. Only around 10-15 mins to airport. Special mention to young lad on reception, apologies for not catching his name - he's really helpful and does a great job! Thanks for a faultless stay, if travelling to Manchester airport again, we'll definitely use this hotel.

The hotel needs work on it, needs painting and carpets are worn, some chairs in the bar area are dirty. Our room was noisy with traffic noise, upgraded to an executive room but not impressed with the room, good shower, bed comfortable

Room really REALLYYY dated very small, bathroom was also very small. No bath mat in bath to shower. Paid for cosy king room definitely was not cosy. Bed was 2 singles pushed together. On check out, receptionist didn't get up to see to us but instead was sitting out the back on her phone and just shouted from the desk. Would not return

Stayed here now twice 1st time it was not too mad but last time was very poor there was 3 Manchester United supporters club staying and was a brigde tournament and they ran out of Draught beer at 6pm sat evening and were then passing out 0% alcohol they had not a clue we arrived back to Hotel and were then told there was no residence bar after been told it was open to 1am then on Sunday night we meet all the bridge player down town and they told so they were enjoying a few drinks in the bar but it was closed at 9pm

We used this for an overnight stay before a flight. Family room with connection was huge, clean, well stocked and comfy. Great value for money, friendly staff and very convenient. Carpets were tired but didn't spoil our stay

The most awful stay I have ever experienced best Western being greedy booking two private functions two coaches dining experience absolutely diabolical trying to complain nobody wants to listen manager to ring yeah right one good point staff on breakfast more mature and run smoothly

Rooms were quiet and in a central location butwouldn;t stay again if I was paid. Hotel very tired, corridors and rooms smelled of stale carpets, deep engrimed dirt in bathrooms, second day dirty brown murky water ran from bathroom taps. Room cleaning is only by request, default is not to clean.

Stayed at the hotel overnight as have very early flight from the nearby airport. Rooms clean and tidy, very comfortable bed, new showers and amenities. The breakfast was freshly cooked with lots of choices too. Amazing team too.

Very clean hotel and great location. Parking was free which was great. The room was comfortable although very warm. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nantwich is a lovely town to visit. Would highly recommend.

We have stayed in many Best Western hotels and felt that this one was adequate rather than good. It is pretty much a case of getting what you paid for…rather shabby in places…room very small…bed quite comfortable…bathroom clean and decent sized towels. Breakfast was okay …average…a few rolls would have been nice and maybe a better choice of fruit. We had a few problems with reception and our booking but apparently there was a new computer system in place…but when your room keycard refuses to work after a long day sight-seeing it is a bit soul-destroying!

The hotel was so poorly maintained and managed. The front desk staff were outrageously unwelcoming and unhelpful, providing absolutely no assistance. They only asked people to wait, but nothing happened at the end of the day. Many parts and amenities in the room were found broken, including lights in the bathroom and some sockets. And during our two nights, they didn't make up our room even once, while our room keys (and many other guests') were found malfunctioning. And just on way out to check out, the ceiling just steps away from our room was falling! Upon our report of the incident, the front desk staff and the Reservation Manager didn't ever apologise for what happened to us in the hotel, but walked away! Also the baggage store room was a mess and the front desk staff was very reluctant to help opening the door for us, perhaps after our complaint about the ceiling accident. In short, this hotel is unforgettably horrible, unfriendly and dangerous!

Beware Cresta Court are now using a car parking company and charging for parking. Parking is free if you are staying or visiting the hotel and you register and validate your car Reg. Unfortunately these machines are not working properly. I've been attending a local group at this hotel every week for the last 7 years. I've just received my 2nd £100 parking ticket when I definitely registered on entering. They also send it late so you can't pay the reduced rate of £60. Hotel are not interested! Lots of members of my group have received these fines including our Consultant. It's a money making scam!

While the hotel was ok, BEWARE of the car-park capers that might well ensue. I entered my car registration number for the two day/night stay and three weeks later received a car parking fine for £60 from smart parking. I contacted the hotel by phone and email via Best Western hotels and they have no interest in helping whatsoever. I have to fight the car parking company myself and as a result of which, none of my frequent visits to the North West will be at the cresta court

Booked this hotel as part of a park & stay through APH for Manchester airport. When we arrived we were told that they didn't have a booking for us but this was not the hotels fault. There was a problem with APH as they didn't have a booking for another customer either. The hotel soon managed to sort us out a room out for the night. Room was really dated and very basic. The bed was too hard for my liking and felt like I was sleeping on a concrete block. Ate at the hotel restaurant which had appalling service. We were seated at a table but after 15 mins still were not asked what we wanted to eat so I had to leave the table to ask someone to take our order & when we had finished we had to ask twice for the bill. This is not good customer service. Overall the hotel reception & bar staff were really nice and welcoming but I would not be in any rush to stay at this hotel again

Sad to see that my suggestions after my last review have not been acted on. The restaurant is still cold due to the Aircon while the bedrooms are all too hot (most of them had windows open when the outside temperature was barely above freezing). As I suggested before, move the Aircon from the restaurant to the rooms. The restaurant for dinner is really bad, both food and service-wise, the kind of place I would expect to hear Gordon Ramsay describe as infinitely depressing. One of the dishes, firecracker chicken, is described as a vegan option, really? I know there is a lot of competition for dinner venues in Altrincham but to basically not even try to compete is quite frankly, sad.

Very friendly staff at check in, basic rooms that were clean, warm and adequate with good showers. We stayed the night before our early flight from Manchester airport. The hotel is busy 24 hours a day so there was some noise from the corridors but at the price per room with safe parking and taxi shuttles to and from the airport this is a gem of a hotel.

Stayed at hotel and opted for room, breakfast and evening meal. Checking in staff advised I was staying for 1 night with breakfast which I had to correct. Evening meal was ok but then was advised I had a bill to pay again advised staff this was incorrect. Check out noticed I had been charged for breakfast which again I advised was included within my options, hopefully get refunded soon as reception told me it was not something they could sort out immediately.

I'm an interior designer and was here for training and work purposes. I had a few issues with room over a few days In stepped Nathan(one of the hotels managers) . An absolute breath of fresh air . I stay in a lot of hotels all over the world and I know this gentlemen will go far. He turned a bad situation and potential terrible review in to a fully positive one by exercising some really good common sense and excellent customer service. His attitude, empathy and professionalism was second to none. I hope the hotel owners see this and embrace that they have a star on their hands. Thank you Nathan for excellent common sense and making sure you fully had the customers needs at the forefront. I now will be back when I'm in this area of the country

Used several times now for park and fly and overnight b&b on return. Although some rooms are rather "tired", they are clean, the staff are helpful, the airport service is great and breakfast is excellent!

Not happy with my stay at all... after being duped into paying an upgrade for an executive room, what I got was a dirty, grotty, old room full of old furniture and 1960's curtains, with none of the extra's I was expecting from this upgrade. The lift doesn't even have a working control panel as numbers are missing or worm away. The area on the 1st floor outside the lift is disgustingly filthy, as was the shower area inside my room . The room had two antique contraptions, one was a 1970's wall heater and the other was supposed to be a air cooling system from the 1980's. Lights didn't work or bulbs were missing, meant half the room was in the dark. Most definitely the worst room I have ever stayed in around the world. Oh and Michael, on the reception was miserable and probably allocated this grotty room on purpose. I have spoken to reception on check out, reported my issues. I was told no manager was in but would contact me, 10 days later, I'm still waiting!! Emailed the hotel, someone called AJ Ross-Jones, NO REPLY. Contacted Best Western Hotels, and they denied any responsibility, even though there name is plastered all over the hotel, they promised someone would contact me, STILL WAITING 10 DAYS LATER. On top of this, the hotel has now decided to charge customers to park from Jan 1st 2023. I have two words of advise... STEER CLEAR !!! see photo's attached and see for yourself. NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE , THIS HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED

Fabbie. Great rooms ( with an optional upgrade!) , the staff were helpful throughout and a friendly vibe at all times in the hotel. The rooms were great, clean , powerful shower which is always a winner and have no complaints at all

We used this hotel as a stay and park as we were flying from Manchester. The staff on the desk were very good. The room in itself was ok, comfortable bed, reasonable furnishings, and quiet. The issues we had were: Someone had been smoking in the room - the room was freezing cold - the heating was not switched on - even after using the heater for an hour the room was still very cold. We spoke to Libby on reception who was exceeding helpful and said she would provide another heater, which she did very quickly. By then, on checking behind the curtains we found two windows were open ! presumably by whoever had been smoking. Surely this all should have been noted by housekeeping when preparing the room? Once these issues were rectified we were quite happy with the room, the cost including the parking and airport transport was very reasonable. The airport transfer reliable and on time. Libby on reception provided first rate customer service, thank you! Issues should be brought to the attention of house keeping.

We stayed over for a night as we were at the new year Ball, the food was lovely and the waiters all did amazingly well to serve everyone fast with hot food. An added touch this year was the piper, he was great too. Just one negative was at breakfast I saw the chef on a couple of occasions coughing near the food and not covering his mouth, I think gloves & a mask should be worn while cooking & serving behind the counter. If I had seen this before i sat down with my food I wouldn't have eaten breakfast, as it was I didn't see this until I had finished unfortunately...

Staff friendly and helpful (5 stars), ample parking, great location. Mattress not the best, not the worst (I am spoiled with a great mattress at home). Shower not great, couldn't seem to get it to a comfortable temperature, seemed to stay incredibly hot whichever way I turned the knob.

Michael checked us in & was super helpful & polite also AJ Was excellent too! Their customer service skills was both above & beyond. Asked for an iron & board to be sent to or room, they never arrived… went into the bar area ordered food, waited 45 minutes to an hour then we had to ask where it was! Came out cold, sent it back & got our payment back, went to eat somewhere else…. Pillows too flat & hard… shower pressure very very low hardly useful. Not hot either.

We spent three nights over Christmas in room 110,an Executive room. I could mention a few of the little extras which would have raised my star rating: king size bed, double size quilt, hard pillows, limited hot drinks, no hot chocolate, drinks tray in a cupboard, couldn't open said cupboard as it was right next to sofa, no sanitary disposal, limited storage in bathroom, the one small shelf just at the right height to hide your face on, no heated towel rail. I'm pleased I got this room at a special rate as I wouldn't like to pay full rate. I could talk about the breakfast: great variety of food, excellently cooked, best breakfast I've had. I could talk about the staff: from check inn to leaving, they were polite, helpful and friendly. Couldn't ask for more. What I want to talk about is the mysterious noise, day and night. In our room and the corridor there was a low level humming noise, not unlike a fridge motor ( it wasn't). The sound was constant. It woke me up the first night and I could feel it through the walls. I thought it was a bathroom fan running in another room, but it continued all through our stay. WHAT WAS IT? I'd certainly stay again maybe on a different floor.

Megan and the team really surpassed themselves everyone had a fantastic time, the room was beautifully decorated and had a lovely festive feel. The bar staff were great and really helpful. Would definitely visit again

I had booked a stay 16th December and when I arrived was told the hotel was shut. They offered me alternative accommodation which was a 30 minute drive away. As I had specifically booked this venue for a function I was attending I had to decline. The hotel knew the day before there would be a problem and made no effort to contact me so I could make alternative arrangements

I meant to stay 2 nights for a business trip. Booked Executive Room with Sofa Bed, looking at the photos it is a big room with plenty of space. Ended up in a room the same size as a usual one but with an extra table and 2chairs which were out of place and just crumpled in there for no reason. The worse was a second night - hotel had to be evacuated because there wasn't electricity and I was rebooked in utterly rubbish, awful “hotel” where you can book a room for 2hrs - you know what I mean. Crazy experience and no apologies from Cresta Court at all, I am still waiting for a full refund.

Arrived at 3pm. Delay because room isn't ready. Will you be showing the football tonight?. Yes, definitely. Arrive back at hotel for football and food. Food not available in bar “restaurant too busy”. Now discover that football will not be on. Angry!. Order food and drinks in restaurant. Drinks arrive. Food does not arrive. Questioned why food was taking so long. Advises that “ we have new girls on” and that they haven't sent orders in. Free drinks supplied. Food will also be free. Absolute debacle from start to finish. Others around us are eating food ordered way after us. How hard can it possibly be?. At this point I'm exasperated. Stayed here many times. Never had this level of incompetence.

We stayed at Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham for five days and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff are super friendly and go out of thier way to help. The breakfast is one of the better ones that we have enjoyed. Plenty of offerings and very tasting. Special needs foods prepared along with an omelette that is out of this world. We will stay there again.

Had a 2 night stay at Best Western Cresta Court and the overarching impression left of the hotel is the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. An ironing board would be marginally less comfortable. We did bring this to the attention of the front desk as we requested a room with a different bed, but were told all rooms had the same mattress. The front desk did say they would look at adding another mattress cover to see if that would help, alas this did not occur. The hotel has a 7kwv charging point for EVs, but it is not specifically managed allowing residents to "camp" on the charge point with no mechanism to move those fully charged off the charge point to allow others access. The staff are generally attentive, particularly the restaurant staff. The buffet breakfast is very good and did not suffer the usual tired looking and missing ingredients towards the end of the breakfast period that often is the case. The hotel is "tired" in places, but I suspect a costly makeover would push prices up significantly. The hotel is conveniently placed for walking into central Altrincham for bars, restaurants and shopping. It is also within easy striking distance of Manchester Airport, Central Manchester and Salford. Get the beds sorted please or my back won't be back!

A great location for our needs. Large car park but it does get busy. Very good staff at reception and dining room. Breakfast was good. Room was warm but smallish. However for a one night stay it was ideal. Would certainly stay again

Great value for money. Clean, warm, functional rooms. Good breakfasts. Evening bar meals a little limited, but try the Spaghetti Carbonara - you won't be disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff. Will be staying again soon.

We had the executive room, which was a good size. bed was large and very comfy. Clean and well presented. Couldn't fault the breakfst - one of the best cooked breakfasts ive had in any hotel. Staff were friendly.

Booked a room with a king size bed - although it was in a standard/small room which meant it was a bit of a squeeze. Bed very comfortable though and had a good sleep. I recommend bringing earplugs if you're sensitive to noise when you're sleeping because even though the room that we were in was classed as a “quieter room” - there was noise from the traffic outside. For the money paid though - it was absolutely fine. Special shout out to Karolina the cleaning supervisor - our room was spotlessly clean which is something that is very important to us. Breakfast good quality and reasonably priced.

Stayed overnight 26/11/22 for a work Xmas party. Check in smooth, Xmas function goog and great breakfast next morning. Room small but clean, great shower. Good tea/coffee facilities. Shout out to Marcus who tried to resolve our mal functioning TV at 01.00am after party ended. He was in the room 5 mins after reporting to reception.

No heating. Staff uncaring. No apology. Would certainly not recommend. Ice cold room which when reported was met with “thanks for telling us” but no apology nor any expectation that the hotel staff cared

I was there two nights, room was fine, clean, serviced, hotel is fine too, I stayed there probably 6 years ago. Ate in bar, that was good as was the beer, parking on site. Only issues, I checked in, got to room on 3rd floor, it didnt work, went back and was given 2 new keys, next day both those keys didnt work and was given two more, keys not working was a pain but having to queue again to change them was more annoying.

The hotel is in a great location with ample parking, that's where the positives end. We stayed in Room 258 which you could barely move around in due to the lack of space. The bed was unfortunately very uncomfortable, so much so, we could feel every spring - which in turn, brought on a Fibromyalgia flare-up for my partner. We noticed also in the morning that the net curtains were also covered in mold spots.

This was the first time we'd been since the COVID outbreak (we stay over once a year for a charity event) and we're disappointed but not surprised that nothing had changed. The staff are friendly and helpful but the hotel and furnishings are tired abd a little grubby. Food, once served, was good but maitre d' had to be informed of intolerances (theyd been informed prior to event) and couldn't seem to cope with hubby having two at same time. Biggest issue is that the bedroom was tropical with no ac to bring it down. This lead to a v poor night's sleep. This has always been the case but had hoped hotel would have dealt with this issue over last couple of years. Breakfast had broad food choices and plenty of it. So a mixed bag.

This hotel is in a great location with plenty of parking and although showing a few signs of age overall was very good the beds were a little hard and the bedding needs updating but other than that a pleasant evening

Love staying here and I think the package is well worth the money. 2 course evening meal 2 weeks parking at the hotel breakfast if you have time and transport 2 and from the airport. Just the start of your holiday really. Connie & Peter

This is the 3rd time we have been to Cresta Court for the holiday package of car parking hotel room and taxis to and from the airport. The room was nice with 3 beds in the family room. The towels and linen were good and clean. There is tea and coffee making facilities in the room and we asked for more milk and coffee and this was not an issue. The bar is the downside as my husband waited 10 minutes and nobody came so we gave up and went elsewhere. All in all its a decent package for going on holiday and will use this again. The negative is everytime we have stayed at this hotel the shower are absolutely rubbish so if you have long hair like me it will take forever to wash it.

The staff when booking the stay were poor. Booked wrong date even though I confirmed it 4 times. Had to call back when I received the confirmation email. Was quoted wrong price so had to pay more. This caused stress before our holiday. Wont book again

Company booked me in for 5 nights whilst working nights last week, needed to work the weekend so they booked me in for 7 more nights. Spoke to reception 2 days before the first 5 nights were to complete to confirm I could stay in same room and not have to wake up early after night shift to change rooms which was agreed. At 11 on the day of first reservation ending, I was awoken by the phone to be told I need to checkout, I explained the situation which seemed fine only to be called 2 minutes later to tell me I had to change rooms to a different floor. No empathy from the staff who told me that they needed the room I was in, when I explained that the room rates for the second week were more expensive and why can't I stay in the same room I was rudely "that's hotel rates". I will get 3 hours sleep today prior to a 12 hour nightshift. I am working in this area until Christmas and will tell my company that if they book me into this hotel I will not be available for work. Worst key card system in any hotel I have stayed in, had to go to desk every other time I used card as it stops working. Still at the hotel for another week, cannot wait to check out.

As it says on the tin. Definitely recommend this service it went as smooth as ever. Even when we were delayed by 24 hours on our return. Nothing was any trouble. Staff very helpful on reception as it's the first time we've used it. Definitely use it again

Stayed here for one night but have used the hotel on many many occasions. Rooms are very comfortable but I would suggest pillow options…for me the pillows are to hard. My stay was marred by unruly and disgusting behaviour by Irish football fans who thought that unleashing a barrage of noisy football songs and bad language…this is totally unacceptable when there are other guests who do not want to be subjected to such moronic actions. This puts a lot of stress on staff and creates a bad atmosphere. This hotel has all the right facilities and would be well advised to deter the poor behaviour of Irish coach parties of unruly football fans..

Upon arrival the receptionist was busy with the queue in front of me, only when it was my turn did someone else come to assist. Sadly no apology for the wait, and a quite brusque manner from the additional person. Once in the bar, getting served with a simple pint and sandwich became a mammoth exercise. Neither of the staff focused on me, instead trying to do too many things at one time, I asked four times for a cheese & onion sandwich. Neither member of staff knew the bar menu, and the simple cheese & onion sandwich was completely unknown to them and I was asked to point at it. The manager then came out to say the sandwich wasn't available. I asked what was available, he said everything else. I order ham & mustard. The sandwich was delivered with no cutlery or napkin, and I wasn't asked if I wanted any sauces or anything else, felt like they just didn't care. The manager returned to clear the plate & asked if everything was ok, I replied it was not, your team have zero customer focus, no knowledge of what is on the menu or available from the menu, the food was delivered with no accoutrements. The manager asked if I was going to have dinner in the restaurant and I said I won't be now following my experience in the bar. Lack of customer focus from arrival at reception through to the bar for a late lunch. The team from top down need additional training and a return to customer focus. In terms of the room, bathroom was clean, but needs some maintenance. Location great, parking plentiful, room comfortable. However, customer experience dictates I wouldn't stay here again, or recommend it.

We were in the area for a family party and at the last minute needed a hotel. I remember this hotel being built and it was quite prestigious at the time. The rooms have been refurbished, but in our Standard Room a king size bed had been put in the place previously occupied by a standard double and the room was consequently rather cramped, but clean and tidy. The bed was firm, but the pillows were rock hard. Not particularly comfortable! The bathroom was a shower over the bath arrangement, and there wasn't a shower curtain or toilet soap in the toiletries pack - a bit of an oversight on house keeping. The hotel sorted the shower curtain but we did not have any housekeeping carried out when we were there, which is not my usual experience. The bar was OK, the restaurant is huge and reminded me of a works canteen. it had an open kitchen but was almost empty on the Friday night. The dinner we had was so-so to say the least. I had a ceasar salad, but the croutons were clearly out of a packet and fridge cold. My steak was OK but overcooked in parts. Staff were lovely and really helpful. We returned to the hotel on the second evening to find that three buses of Manchester United supporters were staying there. A small noisy contingent from the bar were (unfortunately) on our corridor and stayed up past 4.30 chatting - not noisily, but enough to be a disturbance. Overall 4/10. Unlikely to be a next time.

I stayed over night with my sons. The room was very tired. The carpets need replacing as they are very stained. The bathroom is also outdated with a dirty/stained shower curtain, mould in the grouting. The breakfast staff were really friendly and helpful. They were great with my children!!

I stayed one night as I was travelling to France the following day from Manchester. Check in was simple. The room was nicely decorated and clean. There were plenty of drink making sachets and portions. The bathroom was clean and there were fresh towels and other extras such as shower gel, soap and shampoo. The shower worked fine and the temperature remained constant. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. Unfortunately I had to leave too early (4am) for breakfast which started at 6am, however you could request a packed lunchbox, however I declined. The staff were very helpful and arranged for a taxi to take me to the airport in the morning, which arrived bang on time.

Stayed there whilst at one of my bestie's wedding. Staff were all friendly & we had a good laugh, whilst getting booked in. Food throughout the day & night was lovely. Breakfast fab too!!! Definitely recommend.

Excellent stay.Easy to find,only 20 minutes drive from Manchester airport. Free parking available, rooms perfect with comfortable beds. Very quick check in even in late hours. Nice breakfasts with good selection. I would recommend to everyone.

Stayed for business. Check in was quick. Keycards worked fine. Room was clean and so was the bathroom. the Bath itself was chipped, but I still managed to have a great bath in it. Restaurant was very good. Staff were excellent - though they were understaffed, they handled it really well.

Stayed for 1 night before flying from Manchester. Family room - brilliant, very large rooms with sofas to sit on. Clean and comfy beds. Rooms were warm but there was a fan. Reception - easy quick check in and staff was pleasant. Breakfast - fantastic choices, staff friendly and happy. Car parking - lovely big car park which is free so that was a bonus. Only grumble - we was on the first floor and the skirting boards need a good clean I think the cleaner forgets to do them. This would be my first choice of hotels when on route to the airport.

Stayed overnight on the 14th October 2022 - Arrived early afternoon - The lady at Reception was helpful and friendly. The room although small, was clean and had everything we needed. A special mention to the two ladies working the breakfast shift on the morning of 15th October 2022 - Both were very friendly and helpful, a credit to your team. (Apologies for not taking their names :) ) Free parking and plenty of room to park - A definite bonus.

We were attending an annual event . Having stayed previously we requested , and were allocated, the room of our choice . Sophie on Reception was helpful and friendly . Mention should also be made of Maria ( Reservations ) and the hard working waiting staff at our evening meal / breakfast next morning . Thank you all . The evening meal was a private function in one of the very pleasant dining rooms . Hot tasty food was served on hot plates ( cold plates are a particular bugbear of mine ) There is plenty of choice at breakfast . Another good feature of this hotel is the decent sized car park . Always a bonus in a busy place .

Reception staff unwelcoming and uninterested upon check in. I was glad to spend only one night in the hotel. Rooms very small and old furniture. Poor cleanliness - Hair in the bathtub, limescale in the shower and taps, mold in the bathtub area. In addition, bathroom: ventilation much too loud, sink with two separate taps for hot water and cold water Workplace much too small for laptop. Anyway, the internet worked fine. Check Out - Employee disinterested, didn't issue an invoice, claimed the room hadn't been paid although I had provided proof of payment. Invoice is now requested via email - let's see if it is ever sent.

We booked a double room ,stating we would be around midnight, when we arrived no doubles were available, and all you had left was a very basic twin , also the television didn't work ,disappointing as we booked as early as 27th of July.

This is a good value hotel. Staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and quiet, if a little tired. On site car parking was included, and its only a short walk to nice pubs and restaurants.

Reception staff unwelcoming and uninterested upon check in, the lady looked like she didn't want to be there, no guest interaction. The first bedroom we were allocated was filthy, the bathroom was full of mould, shower head had what looked like sludge on it. Shower curtain had brown stains on it. Toilet pipe had brown residue coming out of it. We complained and were given a different room. Second bedroom not much of an Improvement, wardrobe door handles missing, the latts that hold the mattress on the bed were broken on one side which meant one of us were laid in a ditch… We booked this hotel to stay over the night before our holiday to make it more relaxing but ended up with zero sleep! We didn't bother complaining about the second room, we had to be up on a few hours for our flight and we're so fed up at this point. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone complete waste of £70.00.

For the price I paid I didn't expect how mediocre our stay would be. The room was not in the 21st century and there was no air conditioning as the fan broke. The windows didn't open for ventilation and it was a hot night.

Our story has started out a little different. We booked a double wedding with Cresta court. My husband and I got married and so did my now sister in law to her husband. We were told all along that everything we wanted was available. The reality was something completely different. Our points of contact left the company (which they are entitled to do) but there was absolutely no contact from Cresta to let us know that we would now be detailing with different staff. The lack of customer service was absolutely shocking. I have dealt in customer service since I was 11 and this is just appalling. I spent many years working in hotels and worked in all departments. This is supposed to be the happiest day of our lives but the Cresta Court only added to our stress levels.While we had agreements with the previous staff, the new staff saw it as a “new” contract. We were then told the month before the wedding that the hotel was no longer dog friendly, we booked the Cresta so that two family members could bring their dogs, finally they said they would honour our booking in relation to the dogs. Avoid this place, at all costs. While they promise you the stars and moon, they certainly don't deliver. We were told originally that we could have the second bridal suite available for noon the day of the wedding. When the new team took over, they were refusing to “release” the room earlier that 3pm, when our ceremony started at 3pm, we were told you should have booked the night before. Even though they told us that occupancy for the hotel was 77%. If their accommodation staff can't turn around 4 rooms in a few hours, there is clearly something wrong in the hotel management team. We finally got to our room at 12.00hrs.on the day. On Thursday (Sep 22nd) my parents' room wasn't cleaned, they had to move rooms. My sister booked a family room, she had to ask for the kids beds to be made up. On Friday September 23rd my friend booked and paid for her room in advance, but had to wait as they couldn't find her booking. She went and had a full meal in the restaurant before they managed to find her booking. My now sister inlawwas told by the hotel staff to keep her autisic daughter quiet. Ava wasn't being overly loud, she was just excited to be a bridesmaid. During the wedding breakfast, rather than enjoying my meal, I was organising drinks for the 10 children at the wedding, as there was no drinks supplied for them, even though we paid £35 per head for the kids, there was also no jugs of water on the table, which is an industry standard at events and especially at a wedding. I also had to track down the manager as some guests didn't get their dessert. We were told the residence bar would be open until 1am after the wedding, but they closed it due to another group causing problems. Rather than kicking them out like a normal hotel or pub would, the rest of the residents and our wedding party who travelled from Ireland, Australia and from across the UK were punished for someone else's behaviour. My husband went to inquire about the bar being closed, before my husband had even finished his sentence the night manager cut him off and was so arrogant and rude. On Monday 26th September I went to the hotel to see my aunts and uncle before they returned to Ireland. I was trying to order coffee for the group. There was nobody behind the bar, so I went to the reception . There was an asian man behind reception, he was wearing a jumper with no name tag, I explained there was nobody behind the bar. I got a five word reply, “go stand there and wait” no customer service skills at all. The manager who looked after the wedding on the day was amazing, we can't find fault with him or the bar man in the Belgrave suite, they were warm, friendly and attentive. Just a shame the rest of the hotel was run like Fawlty Towers. I certainly hope Best Western headquarters see this and look into the hotel and how it's run.

The staff are amazing and Best Western have invested in redecorating the lobby area but the rooms are tired and need to be reworked. It's a shame as the hotel is well located but it could be so much better

Thoroughly disappointed King size bed was in a standard room, consequently limited room to move in Parking advertised was not available as car park was full of vehicles left there on a stay-one-night……leave it for 15 whilst you're away, basis. Never mind the residents. They don't matter. Disabled parking also not available as some taken by non disabled. Was staying for three nights and the room had not been cleaned on the second day. Breakfast no different than a Premier Inn. Chef was grumpy and said he was leaving as he'd had enough.

We stayed here prior to and after our flights from Manchester Airport. The staff were excellent, so friendly, and car parking for the duration was ideal. Small room but perfectly adequate, very clean, and excellent breakfast.

This hotel offers a Stay and park servicing Manchester Airport. Great for those who take up the offer but is of no use to anyone wanting to actually stay at the hotel. My wife is disabled and cannot walk any distance. We have stayed 3 nights and forced to park away from the hotel in an unsecured site, due to so many non residents parked on the hotel site. Two of the five disabled spaces taken up by other no doubt frustrated residents(. (no blue badges displayed) When we eventually go to reception we were told about the parking situation and the frustration the hotels policy was having, not just on the residents but the members of staff constantly fending off angry customers. One gentleman arriving back this evening at the same time, was a regular visitor who made it clear, this was his last ever stay, as he had to find parking in a local church yard. This hotel clearly does not consider its hotel customers but is just chasing easy money from car parking. Shame on you Cresta Court, we regularly stay in and recommend Best Western Hotels. No more The rooms are dated and cramped. Toiletries and towels of poor quality. Staff the only positive

The plus points here is the plentiful free parking, proximity to the town centre and friendly helpful staff. On the flip side out room was cramped, dated and incredibly hot with no air conditioning, so we endured the noise from the road and wedding guests outside and got very little sleep. The toiletries are basic and single use plastic bottles, also not great. For £122 this hotel was drastically overpriced, would avoid.

Room acceptable but toiletries had not been restocked properly. No fan provided despite heat as no air-con. Poor sound insulation - I was kept awake by noise from a room on the floor below on my first night and on the second night by the base beat from a wedding. Had I wanted to close the window this was not reachable without calling a member of staff (assuming anyone tall enough was on site. No proper bread at breakfast - only suitable for toasting. Reception staff not fully professional in their approach to customers - both me and other conversations I observed. They continue to use a taxi company despite telling me (after I experienced problems leading to me missing my train) that the firm regularly gives poor service. There are other taxi companies in the area I understand. I know it is only a 3* hotel but I trust Best Western from previous experiences and this has been severely dented. And the bed was excessively firm.

Wanted to stay here due to location. Stayed in room 313 and literally could scream at the problems with the bath! Plug didn't fit, put the bath water on and left it running, went back and plug out! Tried twice and ended up having to have a bath holding the plug in! Bed uncomfortable. Breakfast great and well worth the money. Friendly staff and lovely bar staff too.

All staff we met were fantastic, customer service with a smile and at the heart of what they do. The restaurant was a great experience, priced well and accommodating with gluten free options. Downstairs lobby, bar, restaurant looks lovely and is inviting. Unfortunately the bar didn't serve hot chocolate as an option on their warm drinks menu, which was disappointing for our children and the coffee we received was lukewarm. Rooms looked ok, were acceptably clean. Heater and fan provided, no ac. The walls between rooms allow noise to travel, the doors are heavy, no peep holes and when left to close do not always close fully, so always check. Doors closing is loud too. The beds were uncomfortable, either sleeping through due to tiredness and waking up with a few aches and pains or not being able to sleep. Both of us kept walking into the corner of the bed, near the desk, bruised knee. Bathrooms are in need of an update, with noisy refilling of toilet tank. Shower pressure was more like a trickle and the tap labelling for hot and cold was the wrong way round. No grab handles on the Bath and the bath fan was rather noisy. One double plug which had the lamp plugged into one and a single plug, which was insufficient to our needs and no USB ports. The board where the double socket was above the desk was wobbly, so when trying to take the plug out the whole panel board moved. Thank you.

The room smelt awful, presumably from a previous occupant. The bed was like sleeping on a board. The bed had no mattress protector. The light above the bed did not work. The shower did not stay in place and needed using with one hand holding it. The toilet did not flush very well. We had a room with a king size bed but that left little room for anything else. No room for bedside cabinets. The bathroom was tiny. When we arrived the car park was car park spaces are big enough for small cars only. All this for £137 per night including breakfast. Would I recommend you stay I would not.

I have been staying here over many years to visit family & friends. I booked direct with hotel even I have a reward card with AJ. I stayed 4 nights including breakfast. I asked for an early check in, but people in the night before asked for a late check out re an incident in the town the night before which hit the BBC news & only found out later when my room was ready. I was checked in by Sophie sadly no Exc rooms left for an upgrade, but my room 356 clean, small, quiet at the back of the hotel. The only noise is when the fans are going when kitchens are open. Its next door to housekeeping. I didn't have my room serviced, but had a "Refreshment Pack" each day left on my door handle. I didn't have clean towels or bedding. Housekeeping were amazing & thanks to Agnus, Pauloa. I got a lovely welcome back from the breakfast staff too Karen, Bev, Kerry. George, Asen, chefs Frank & Rob. Great menu for breakfast hot or cold, help yourself. I had lunch with friends & great service too with a good menu. we had 3 egg omlettes with ham & mushrooms, fish n chips with drinks. I also eat one eve in the hotel too & thanks to Jake, good choice there too. I had a burger with cheese & bacon & swopped the chips for a side salad with a drink. I can't fault the staff who always there to help you. My room key card was faulty & that got changed. The only thing is the parking which wraps around the hotel, with lots of people use this hotel for getting to the airport use hotel/fly package so cars don't move till they come back. Also vans, 4x4 takes 2 spaces. Vans should really park on the slip road, that's where the coaches park as had a group in for the Man United match. The last night I had to go round the hotel 4 times until someone was leaving. The rooms really need black out blinds & sound proofing. I did have my windows open as the room got warm. Just tip bring your own fan incase they are all being used as no sadly no air con..... Thanks to other staff on the front desk sadly forgotten your names, thanks to AJ who checked me out. You need anything for your room front desk can help out too. I recommend the hotel & yes will def stay there in the future. Looking forward to my next stay. Please read my other reviews.

I really couldn't fault any part of the stay, from check in to the room , bar and restaurant quality to the staff. It all worked like a well oiled machine. Check out to the taxi shuttle to the airport , it was brilliant and will be a part of any future holiday plans. The location is brilliant with a 5 min walk to an array of bars , restaurants of all around the world flavours. Absolutely Perfect.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Purchased it with parking at Care car park for Manchester Airport through Holiday Extras. Very reasonable. Very tasty breakfast. Very friendly helpful staff. Very clean room.

Lovely hotel, with great staff, so friendly and helpful. Only dropped a point because the rooms are a bit hot. The window was open which helped but a fan would have been nice by the bed. The food is nice and it is full and lively in the evenings.

Hotel has been around for ages so understand it's quite hard to keep it modern and fresh. It's more or less the only choice in town and on the plus side it is only 5 minutes to all the bars and restaurants so ideally placed. I chose a double room. Bit small, so not a lot of room, bed quite uncomfortable so didn't have a particularly good nights sleep. Shower was below average. It's my number one beef with hotels where the shower is too slow and difficult to control the temperature. Didn't eat so can't comment. The welcome at reception was where it started badly. Guy in front, who she knew was handed chat, smiles and a bit of banter. I got cold porridge. It's not hard to be friendly and welcoming. I've stayed here many times but she wouldn't have known that. Made even more disappointing by receiving exactly the opposite the following night in another hotel in Glasgow. But I will probably stay here again as there isn't anywhere else in Altrincham.

We were very happy with your service. Our only complaint was how stuffy the room was. I understand the weather was exceptionally hot before our stay but it might have been better to have a fan running in the room prior to arrival . Our only other comment is that there was not enough milk sachets supplied but that seems to be a universal thing in hotels!

Stayed for a few hours after getting back to Manchester about midnight, before onwards travel the next morning. We had a family room on the top floor, which was very ‘tired' and in need of modernisation. Main issue however was the heat. It's not the hotel's fault that it had been 30 degrees for a couple of days, but walking into the room was like entering a sauna. No aircon, little ventilation, and a noisy fan. Sleep virtually impossible. Breakfast was pretty good, and staff were friendly. I might be being a bit harsh rating 2/5 for this one stay, and I'm sure the hotel would be fine for overnight business types in normal British weather. Just be careful if using it like we did in mid-summer.

Night before a holiday hotel is OK but staying in room 222 and although you would not normally require it there is a severe lack of air conditioning I would not normally submit such a review but not great hopefully this will be sorted by next time

Had a room over the extractors from the kitchen. Noise intermittently all night. Very disturbed night's sleep. Had I been staying for more than one night I'd would've asked to move. Very dated room, the bed was comfortable but it wasn't worth the £75 room only charge was justifiable. Reception, restaurant and bar areas very modern and air conditioned but the ladies toilet is not air conditioned and like an oven. The rooms are also not air conditioned so quite stuffy. There is a fan in some but not all rooms but that just circulates already warm air. The food was very good.

We like it here and it fits our needs perfectly The staff are great and friendly Bar is good and the breakfast is really good As a hotel its great value for money and the only down side we think is that the rooms themselves are tired and we think its time for a refurb. Great parking and close to the centre for the bars and restaurants We've always had a nice warm welcome at reception and thats always a great 1st impression

Stayed on night Aug 22 before an early flight with my wife and two kids 23 months and 11yrs on a park and stay deal. Really good value, family room we had was massive essentially two rooms knocked into one. Staff were really good both on reception and the bar. Good in the restaurant was excellent. Only downsides are the road outside is noisy and the room was very warm but that wouldn't be enough to stop us booking again and the only reason it gets 4 not five stars. Taxi to take us to the airport was waiting outside at 4.30am organised by the staff and included in the booking.

Everything felt disconnected I responded to a email regarding upgrade and another online check in I felt that I wasted my time responding to theses as there was no record of ether on arrival Plus wake up call was late and when you ask for at 2am everything is timed to perfection when we were leaving I saw a taxis outside and asked if this was our taxis the response was properly again not very professional Taxis driver didn't even help with bags

Once you get past the ugly building (let's face it you can't do anything about that) the hotel is decorated to a great standard, lovely staff, food was great (even if the menu is pretty limited) and very comfortable bedroom. I'd definitely use the hotel again.

My big issue with this hotel is their inability to make the rooms useable in hot weather. I don't stay here by choice, a charity I work for organises my accommodation but Next time I am going to book myself into the premier inn up the road that has air conditioning. This hotel looks okay in the pictures because the public areas have been "done up". This is where the good news ends however. The rooms are tired and desperately in need of a makeover. My first room had three lights that didn't work and no tv control. Personally I would have sent someone up with 3 light bulbs and a spare remote but the grumpy receptionist with black hair decided to move me. My new room (333) only had one light that didn't work however it had a broken mirror, stank of damp, the bath was in an awful state with a big yellow stain down the middle and mildew round the tiles. I don't believe that only being 3 star should be an excuse for being grotty. Both rooms were roasting despite having fans. This hotel is out on its own and open to sun from all sides yet despite knowing that the temperatures were going to be at record highs no one had even thought to close the curtains to help try to make the room cooler. I asked the hotel to remove the window restrictor so that I could try to get some air into the room but they refused. Other guests had even hired in commercial air conditioning units as it was so bad. I know the hotel will blame this on the extreme temperatures but I stayed here last year in much lower temperatures and it was still the same. I understand they don't have air conditioning but that makes it even more important that they do everything else they can to keep the rooms cool. I know other hotels I stay in do shut curtains in the day if they don't have air conditioning. Last time I was here the temperature was so bad that I got heat stroke!! This hotel is tired and dowdy and the lady on reception with black hair was miserable - maybe she has to stay in one of their rooms too???? There is no excuse for taking this charity's money for such poor rooms and lack of care for your residents. The only bright spot was the breakfast cooked by a nice happy chef in front of us. Funnily we were all down for breakfast really early to escape to the air conditioning that the hotel seems to think is essential for the public rooms but not where you sleep!!!.

Stayed here for 1 night, room was a standard double, lovely and clean with plenty of storage space with nice decor. Breakfast was 10/10 would highly recommend it, the chef was the nicest one I've met ,he was so friendly and helpful he cooked it all to perfection, was all high quality ingredients . Will definitely stay again. Oh and the reception lady which I assume was new was so lovely, she always greeted us with a beaming smile . Thanks for a great stay .

Resident DJ nasty with some of my guests on requesting music. Failed to record an accident in the accident book on requesting this 3 times. Check in times are ok if NOT attending a function but if so then check in needs re looking at as the function as already started before allowing check in late afternoon. Breakfast was lovely , very good choice and easy to see whats on offer. Some of the staff are lovely and helpful but recent changes to staffing are letting this hotel down, standards have dropped from before 12 months ago. Its a shame as the events team were brilliant when we first booked our wedding prior to lock down. The hotel function rooms/ reception areas/ bar areas and toilets were all lovely and clean apart from a family room which had tissues,dirt and dropped tablets on the floor, obviously not cleaned by housekeeping and there was a toddler staying in the aforementioned room. The family picked it up themselves as didnt want to upset the wedfing day with complaints, but they should have reported it straight away really. Please dont let this review reflect on some of the lovely staff that still remain there. But staffing does need re looking at

Having paid extra for an “Executive” room, it was a good size for the two of us, however : Even having an Exec room, it was old and shabby. It was however clean ✔️ The room was beyond hot as we were there on the 2 hottest ever UK days. There really isn't an excuse for a chain of this repute not to have had air conditioning installed in this, a city centre hotel. The staff did their best, once pushed, but with so many issues my positive outlook was sorely tested. The shower in our first room did not work, so we had to pack everything up and wait 2.5 hours for an alternative room to be cleaned for us. The room card key failed 3 times in 3 days, necessitating us having to repeatedly return to reception. The printed drinks menus on the tables in the bar listed incorrect pricing. It would have been nice to be thanked for pointing this out to them (I could have reported them direct it to trading standards) but hey hoe. I asked for a discount due to the shower issue and was told that I could have 10% off, but, I would have to speak to the manager on the following day. It was sorted, but again, nothing was achieved on the first time of asking. The staff must be saints to have to work in and with, such a poor building. Best Western should be ashamed of themselves. Premier Inn, if there is one, will be my go to choice for a value hotel in future.

For the second year running I tried the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham and for the second year running I have been very disappointed. The Reception staff were not too interested in my arrival which was a bad start. My room had one very small window which hardly opened and was utterly useless on a hot night. There was a fan in the room but this only blew hot air around. The room was unbearable and impossible to sleep in and it would have been cooler sleeping in the corridor. I won't be back a third time unless air conditioning units are installed. I really wanted to give this hotel one star but made it two as the bar staff were helpful!

Adequate but small room, we had to move around carefully. Chose two single beds and very glad I was as king size beds are not the usual. Grim faced member of staff checked us in , her expression never changed . We did not eat or drink here as we had been to a family party. Tiny bathroom. Decor needs an update, looks quite 70's ..

The hotel is very well located a few minutes walk from the town centre. The staff are friendly and helpful The bedroom and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. The only problem we had was that the water took ages to empty from the sink. After a visit by the maintenance guy it didn't really improve. As the hotel as been there for a very long time maybe it's time for all its tubes to have a good clean out. I've booked to stay again next week More positives than negatives.

Easy check in, arrived just at the right time! The queue formed behind me! Very clean room with a Fan and pre covid bedding. Good facilities in the room. The evening meal was good with excellent dessert. Good atmosphere in the party. The staff in the breakfast room and reception were very pleasant. Making the booking was more of a problem. I rang 4 times and was told she could not help and could I ring back later. I eventually got a male who told me the rooms had all gone. When I explained that I had rung several times and that I had been attending Act events twice a year for 9 years he found a room.

We stayed for one night last weekend First impressions weren't good as check in was a long drawn out affair I took advantage of the advanced on line check in which is designed to speed up the process but they had no knowledge of it so a waste of time Room was large & classed as an executive king room but lacking in basic facilities There was no functioning dressing table just a cupboard squeezed into the corner with hardly any surface space One chair for two people & only two tea bags left Bathroom dog eared & needs refurbishing The pillows were very hard & we asked for a softer option but they didn't have any alternative so had a restless night trying to get comfortable The lounge was dull & the chairs looked threadbare & dirty so not inviting at all Also the toilets in the foyer were not clean A large glass of wine was about £9 The bar food looked uninviting with cheap ingredients Needless to say we took advantage of the short walk into town where there are lots of choices of interesting meals available Would not stay again

Hotel located at the section of 2 roads. Both of them are quite noisy, but there is also no accoustic insulation between rooms. So you can ave the feeling to sleep with your neighbour! The restaurant is closing at 9pm, that is quite early, especially when you come at 8.45pm and the answer is that they won't have the time to serve before closing!

Stayed here before in October but had to come back for the Rob Higginson amazing breakfast! Best scrambled eggs. Always lovely to chat to Rob and wonderful to see someone so dedicated who shows such an interest in the guests and is so helpful . .Reception staff as always most helpful and accommodating. Great location too and even managed to charge my car.

Some of the function areas looking tired & could do with a uplift. I rang in the morning & asked for early arrival. A room was available & I was able to arrive early to get ready for a wedding at the venue. However, the bride & bridesmaids had to wait an hour & a half over normal check in times, the previous night because rooms were not prepared.

Had a great stay at this busy hotel. We had to change our booking several times due to personal circumstances and the hotel was very helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It is a busy hotel. There was a Prom and Wedding Reception held there during our two night stay but both seemed to be well organised so didn't disturb the other guests staying there. Parking onsite is busy but we did get space to park. The bar area is quite large with both indoor and outdoor seating. As the hotel is a short walk to the revamped Market area in Altrincham its great location for local bars and restaurants. We would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is well situated close to Altrincham town centre and there's loads of free parking. Room rate we paid was good value at under £60/night and although the room was rather small, it was fairly comfortable and worth the money. Our main complaint was the hard mattress. Staff were quite friendly on the whole although check-in was awkward as apparently the system was down. There are hand sanitisers everywhere and Covid precautions have been taken. Breakfast decent and comprehensive. Staff happy to help with requests for ironing board, milk etc. Generally a good hotel.

My partner and I stayed several time. This time was at the beginning and end of our holiday to france. We aren't complainers but our 2nd stay within the 10 days wasn't the best. No toiletries, we had our own from our holiday. Bathroom was well worn with silver fish coming in and out of skirting boards. Our 2nd room that week was 309. Told staff on check out. The said they would sort this. Such a shame because hotel is very handy for airport and Altrincham is such a beautiful place to visit.

The room was as you would expect, basic but had what you needed. However the rest of the hotel was tired, lots of wear and tear on the furniture. There were weddings and parties happening which were raucous and not very under control. The noise kept us up as we could hear the base of the music and we were on the top floor! The staff were pleasant and helpful considering the circumstances but they seemed stressed about the parties/ busyness of the place.

Parking is a big issue with narrow spaces and if people have not parked evenly between the lines spaces are wasted. The hotel looks dated and a bit tired on the outside. The welcome at reception was not inspiring, this may have been due to there being a wedding reception taking place and a lot people about. We were very worried as we approached our room that we would be disturbed as dogs could be clear heard barking in the room next door, however the walls are very good and this was not an issue. Our room on the first floor was very hot despite the window being fully open. The room was clean and of a reasonable size with a modern bathroom with a large walk-in shower however there is an electric towel rail that it is very easy to burn your leg on when using the toilet. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of freshly cook items. Check out was quick and friendly.

Lovely hotel with a fabulous breakfast, pleasant and friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble. Great arrangement they have with a local taxi company for transfer both to and from the airport. Good parking facilities and the big advantage is you keep your car keys

The hotel is situated in a convenient position. The receptionist on arrival was a bit grumpy, maybe having a bad day . The car park is very very busy. I assume people are parking long stay for the airport so if you are checking in later on you might have problems parking . It would be a shame if guests staying for a night or two couldn't park due to this. The rooms are ok though very hot and a bit dated. The the shower over the bath is inconvenient if you have a mobility problem and was more of a trickle than a shower

Plenty of parking and easy access to reception. The lady was friendly at check in and handled quickly. The room was clean and the furniture was comfy. A little dated, particularly in the bathroom, looked like it needed updating. The room was quite warm though, no air con and could only open a very small window. There was a fan though which helped.

Paid for bed and breakfast as no other choice even though we would be leaving too early for breakfast. The kind lady on the desk ordered us a taxi for 3.45am which promptly arrived next morning. She said she was ordering ‘grab bags'? ie a sort of takeaway breakfast for us. This did not appear even though the desk manager went looking for it. The room was basic but ok. Just appalled at the people staying around and about room 123 as they don't know how to lower their voices when people are in bed. I heard room number 127 mentioned in their shouting.

We stayed here the night before our flight from Manchester airport. Location is good, 10 minutes from the airport. We booked a package which included hotel stay, transfers and parking for a good price. Room was dated and not very clean, chewing gum stuck to the carpet, dirty bathroom tiles. Needs a refurb, you can tell the hotel has a quick turn over. Carpark is crammed, spaces are small and we were worried about our car whilst we were away. You are not allocated a space you are just asked to park where there is a space. Lobby/bar area is quite nice but I would say this is the only nice area within the hotel.

Only stayed one night used there airport shuttle service fantastic location went into town for a night out was really lovely will definitely use again perfect for airport shuttle and location staff was very helpful

The location and the staff are extremely great. The hotel, rooms and premises need an uplift and upgrade. Close to Metrolink and Market with lots of bars and restaurants. Tesco close by. Great English buffet breakfastw ith options included in the room rate. Great place to host events and bar and food was great.

Very poor. No parking. Tried to charge us again despite us paying at time of booking. Originally booked nights at weekend rate which had to be cancelled due to COVID. However would not me book 2 separate nights I stead. Therefore I have lost 1 nights stay.

So pleased that we found the Cresta Court hotel for an overnight stay close to Manchester airport. From A.J on reception to Jade and Karen in the bar / restaurant, this little gem provided exceptional service. Nice clean rooms at a great rate

Evening wedding party We had our wedding party booked here for the third time after postponing multiple times due to covid, the team have been so understanding moving our deposits over :) On the night everything went smoothly! Big shout out to Aren he was amazing :) Would recommend cresta court for any parties

We've just returned from a holiday to Spain from Manchester Airport! As we live in Doncaster and early morning flight means we have to stay overnight in a local hotel. We have used the Cresta Court previously and so decided to do so again. The package includes a nights accommodation plus transfer to and from the Airport and eight days parking for our car. The whole experience was trouble free and well organised, The Cresta Court ensured that our transfer to the Airport was early enough to cope with current problems Manchester Airport is suffering from and on our return the Passenger Cars driver used by the Hotel picked us up and took us back to the hotel is a friendly and speedy manner. He even asked where our car was parked so he could transfer our luggage for us! If you have early flights from Manchester I highly recommend the Cresta Court service as being very efficient, safe and reasonably priced.

First time at Cresta Court for many years. Everything was very good. Stayed overnight for family party. The hotel was very welcoming at reception. The bedroom was fine but rather warm. Bathroom facilities were very good. The party room was well spaced out and the buffet of hotpot or Lasagne was delicious and hot. Breakfast was very good, good choice and nice and hot. Everywhere was very clean. Thank you for an excellant weekend.

Really nice executive room, great staff and service. Always a good breakfast here. Great location for Altrincham night life and good tram service to the city and attractions. Onlyt downside is smokers congregating around the main entrance - they need a designated area.

This was a first for me - park the car, go on holiday then stay over on return. Should have done it before. The Cresta Court made this a great option and easy to organise. The staff and facilities were excellent and rounded off our holiday to a tee.

Did'nt enjoy the stay at all. Uncomfortably hot and not able to adjust the heating. Bed was not comfortable and the hotel was generally dirty and and noisy till late. Service was poor. Breakfast was OK though.

Needs a refresh. The curtains, bedding and shower curtain are all looking tired and threadbare. The loo roll on the holder is almost empty so why leave it with a little point just swap it. Found the guy on reception a little abrupt maybe needs a hand with better customer service and the one behind the bar - he sneezed in the open air before pouring us a drink so that was nice, a problem with or without a global pandemic but not great when you work in a bar with drinks and glasses everywhere. There is a leak in the bathroom from the toilet, there is an open section of the pipe from the cistern which appears to be leaking down the wall onto the floor. We can hear every noise in the hotel, noisy guests with no respect banging around the corridors and next door with their OCD light switch on-off-on-off check every few mins so I would advise bringing ear plugs to block it all out. There is plenty of parking which is a bonus.

I have stayed here many times over a number of years. I can't remember ever having anything I was unhappy with during my stays. On the contrary I always find the staff pleasant and efficient even when busy. The rooms are always clean and warm. It is also worth joining the Best Western rewards scheme. I have recommended the hotel many times and continue to do so.

This is probably one of the best ‘Best Western hotels I've stayed in. The staff in the bar and restaurant were really helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the hotel practices good hygiene with hand sanitizer at the lifts and around the public areas. The hotel manager was around late which is nice to see as most probably finish early but she was keeping an eye on everything. Reviews are a personal opinion and mine is that we enjoyed our stay very much and we will return.

We had our wedding ere on the 23rd April 2022 and had an amazing day from start to finish the staff were lovely especially Asan who looked after us all day the room we got married in was beautiful and after in the belgrave suite we're we had our reception was beautiful to all set up lovely, the food and buffet was lovely I would definitely have another function here again thank you so much. Thank you to Helen Potts for arranging are marriage for us.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately our room seemed to be over a staff break area. At 2am we were woken by staff chatting right under our window. This went on for approximately half hour or more. We'd already been roused once by someone banging in the room above, and as we had to get up at 5am to get to the airport, we weren't exactly delighted I did report it to the receptionist as we checked out

Stayed here for 1 night as was travelling to Mexico from Manchester Airport the following day staff omg what can I say go above and beyond to help you and the food omg food was very very tasty and very very efficient in between courses we didn't wait long parked the car for 15 nights staff very knowledgeable and helpfull and the staff on reception need recognition for the hard work they do would I stay here again too right I would definitely come to this hotel again if I am flying from Manchester keep up the good work guys 7 stars from me

I've stayed here a lot over the last 4 years. Always found it to be a very good hotel with friendly staff. The reception welcome has always been superb. I don't often eat in hotel restaurants as a solo traveller but I'm glad I did this evening. Bang Bang Cauliflower was incredible. Just the right amount of heat and flavour to die for. I had mushroom kebabs (being a vegatarian) and they were superb. Plenty of taste and enough on the plate to make a main meal. Kudos to the chef who has freshened up the menu since my last visit

Not the best….the room looks good and is reasonably modern however it's smells of mould, bed is also rock hard it's like sleeping on the pavement. Food was good though and reasonably priced. . ………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

We stayed for a week visiting relatives - paid over 1200 GBP for two very small rooms; outdated bathrooms with very weak water pressure; one fan in the bathroom did not work at all. No clean towels provided until we complained. Housekeeping staff were great but clearly overwhelmed. Not enough staff and using the excuse that the 'general manager has made the policy' is simply not good enough. Rooms were finally cleaned on our last day. Walls thin enough to hear next doors discussions. Not somewhere we will return to at all. Looking at other comments obviously used as a one night stay before a holiday parking option. Staff were surprised that we were staying a week - so were we in the end.

I stayed overnight on 2nd April and the room was nothing special for the price. Service was very slow in the function room and the staff were short with us. Then the whole party vacated to the residents bar, where only one girl was tending to everyone. She looked underage too, apparently this hotel allows kids to serve alcohol. At the end of the night, the manager got into a very loud argument with a number of customers before abruptly closing the bar early. I went to bed shortly afterwards but the noise continued until 6 in the morning. All in all it was poorly organised and staff were running around like headless chickens.

This hotel was extremely dated and quite dirty. When we arrive the hallway was lined with huge bags of dirty laundry which made it difficult to walk along the hall to my room. The bed was horrendous so we left and had a late drive home.

booked this hotel for the night , before flying out in the morning. choose this hotel because they provided a taxi service to and from the airport in with the cost of the nights stay. ( plus car parking at the hotel for duration of holiday) the rooms are clean and well equipped. Best of all the taxi picked us up on time, and on return, one call and the taxi arrived within 10 minutes. brilliant

Room was clean and decor was in good repair. Dined in the the restaurant Townfields efficient service. Food poor, I had fish in batter which was clearly a frozen product My partner had gammon steak, we asked for mustard to be told they didn't have any and the same chef! just shrugged his shoulders when the waitress passed on our complaint about the gammon steak being a little tough.

A very pleasant stay, very friendly and helpful staff, room very cleaned, tidy and well maintained. Extensive breakfast choice. The only negative aspect was the choice and quality of the draught beer in the lounge.

We arrived at 2 in the morning after returning from the airport. The hotel is in a poor state of repair. The carpets are threadbare, the seating in the reception is filthy, The corridor decor is old and tatty, the bathroom sink has blood on it, one of the pillows had dirt on it, the sink was blocked. The whole place was just aged and in poor condition. The standard of cleanliness was very poor. We were only there for one night on the way back from the airport, but we got up early and went home for a shower as we felt that we could not use the bathroom amenities. I would not stay again whilst the hotel is in this state.

An enjoyable visit to Altrincham - we had very comfortable beds and the breakfast in the morning was above expectations. The staff went out of their way to cater for our needs. I would highly recommended this hotel.

So difficult to rate. Hotel booking was easy, straightforward to find, short walk into town centre and plenty of free car parking. Doesn't look great from outside, looks like a 70s throwback. Public areas nicely decorated and furnished plus check in was friendly and efficient. The standard twin room was very small as were the beds. They were also very hard, good for my back but others may find uncomfortable. No air con although a large fan in room. No iron or board that I could see. Shower over bath was truly pathetic. Wi-Fi in room was actually pretty good, struggled a bit with Zoom calls but handled data just fine. Bar lounge was nice and served coffee throughout the day at reasonable prices. In the restaurant the burger was actually very good. Breakfast on day 1 a little dry but second morning it was very good. Bacon was really nice. Staff were really nice and helpful. It felt just a tad expensive but to be fair it was in line with competitors in area.

Met basic needs for Manchester marathon weekend. Great location and close to tram line for getting to and from start. Rooms are very small. Needed a travel cot and advised to get large king size room. Travel cot would t fit at end of bed and had to move bed over to make just enough space. Not ideal room if you have a baby who can crawl…there is no floor space

Parked and stayed here before flying from Manchester airport. What a little gem, in a lovely town, plenty of amenities in the hotel and outside ., and your car parked safely on the hotel car park while you are away

Stayed here for a few nights for work, the location is a few mins walk from the altrincham town which has great vibe! The hotel rooms are run down, sheets:towels marked/stained, bathroom tired generally old. The room was large had a fridge in and coffee machine - bonus! The walls were thin and the majority of weekend guests were there for weddings, parties, football and were drunk/loud. The bar/reception was open all night with people hanging around outside on the corridors. If you are looking for a base and no sleep it's fine, if you need to sleep avoid!

Sadly the decor on the ground floor bar and restaurant which looks new and vibrant does not match the rooms as they are tired, dirty & dated. Road traffic noise due to ineffective glazing (we were overlooking the main road). Would not stay here again sadly

Nice warm welcome at check in Room was great 10 minute walk into town and great car parking The bar has everything you want drinkwise All the staff we met were nice and friendly and we had no issues at all with our stay Its excellent value for money Yes the outside is looking a bit tired but other than that we enjoyed our 2 night stay and would definitely stay here again

Scruffy, and tatty! Staff need training and probably support and better pay! On the plus side, clean sheets, and towels. Comfortable beds, and plenty of hot water. Chipped baths, and tiles, and stained carpets. Needs a refresh and staff training.

This hotel was not difficult to get to from the city centre and the room had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed. The staff were lovely and the deal I found on Wowcher helped me get the best value. My only issue was the passive racism displayed by many of the guests during my stay. In all honesty I would not recommend this hotel to people of colour who wish to avoid these types of experiences. Otherwise a nice hotel and a good trip to Manchester!

Dated hotel which I agree with other reviews that this hotel badly needs some investment. Room was big & clean. Okay for one nights stay as stayed due to deal I got for staying overnight & parking my car for the duration of my holiday. I wouldn't have liked to pay full price to stay here as not worth the cost. The staff are exceptional & I think this what makes this hotel highly rated.

A very dated and out of condition hotel. Room was fine but tired decor and standard. Carpets ripped on stairs and ill fitting, poor quality repairs in bathroom, just generally deteriorated. Outside of the room the hallway smelled like wet dogs. Booked the hotel for its proximity to friends, but mostly because it advertised EV charging which sadly we couldn't use as a Tesla driver left their car plugged in to the charger for approximately 24 hours. We must absolutely stress all the hotel staff we interacted with were all absolutely lovely.

Great reception upon arrival ro pleasant with comfortable bed. Parking and transfer to the airport first class. I have been to this hotel before and will certainly be coming again. I totally rcomend this hotel

Checked in to room and discovered that only one light worked in it all and the kettle didn't either. No hassle to change room but very noisy from the road so not much sleep. All staff extremely friendly and polite. Breakfast was fresh and tasty.

Noisy, paper thin walls, cold, desperately in need of a refurb. Pillow case on inside out, water damage to bathroom door, open kitchen where fuses blew so swearing and shouting from kitchen staff, no notification food would be delayed…. Just awful, awful,awful. Wish I'd taken the advice of my colleagues to stay at the Marriott slightly further out!

Stayed here for one night. The hotel is very jaded and could do with a face-lift. Our room was adequate but the bathroom was really dated with very noisy plumbing and the shower was just a trickle. The complimentary tea and coffee tray had only tea bags and milk. We did not complain as we were only over nighters but I feel that it was very expensive for what it was. We stayed in the city centre for less per night with a much nicer room and facilities. Other guests we were meeting up with said the breakfast was awful. Would not stay there again. Please note, rooms are not serviced 'due to covid' so if you are there for more than one night you will not get your room cleaned. Another excuse for poor service.

Not the hotels fault, however woken @ 3 am by a drunken man banging on the door trying to get in the bedroom. This went on for about an hour, but reception could not find any trace. Room Comfortable and very clean. Breakfast very tasty. The food for the party the night before was absolutely amazing! Compliments to the chef

Good value, great staff, really nice food. The breakfast was especially good, lots of choice. Restaurant for evening meal also great food and service. Wish they would put more milks in room, but all hotels are hopeless for this.

Overnight stay and 7 days parking for the airport. Arrival was straightforward and parking on site was easy. Not clear if car park has cameras or well lit areas for cars being left for a week or so but everything seemed ok on our return. Shuttle bus to the airport was well organised - really good value. On our return - hotel staff assisted us in contacting the shuttle/taxi company and we were quickly returned to our car and travels homeward.

We had a brilliant stay at best western cresta court Altrincham on arrival the reception staff were fantastic with our welcome and advice on the facilities, the hotel was super clean in all area's our room was perfect, clean and fresh the bed was super comfortable and we shall certainly be returning just couldn't find fault , a pat on the back to all the staff. We stayed here for one night in a king size room. Although the bed was king size the room itself was very small and cramped, and the bathroom too was very small. That said, the staff were all very polite and helpful and the self-service breakfast in the morning was very nice, with plenty of choice. Given that the breakfast was included by booking direct and the total charge for the room was reasonable, it would be unfair to criticise too much. So although the review is for the 3-star "average" score, there's nothing wrong with average sometimes. Would stay again.

Room was very small, the bed felt like you were sleeping on the floor, mold on the window sills which had then transferred to the curtains, hardly any water pressure in the shower and when arriving into the room once we were given our key, the room had a terrible odour and there was rubbish remaining in the room from the previous guests. The walls are also very thin so we heard many conversations of other guests, people using the toilets and people passing wind. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We only stayed for one night on a DB&B basis. EVERYONE, from the reception staff to the restaurant staff in the evening and the following morning were so friendly and helpful. Quality and choice of food at dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Can definitely recommend.

For a “standard double” the room was quite small. Comfortable enough though. The bathroom was pokey and the shower pretty basic. For the price I paid I was disappointed with this room. Having stayed in several Purple Palaces recently, their rooms were far superior at a lower cost. Lovely staff on the whole, especially a lady at breakfast. Good ok.

Room was comfortable. Dinner disappointing as only a very limited menu(different to what was described on website!) Only 4 choices for starters and mains and 2 for pudding! Waiter seemed a little confused on table layout so by the time our puddings arrived the ice cream had partly melted! Breakfast next morning was really nicely set out with lots of choice but on asking the chef for poached eggs we received a very rudely spoken 'how many' as if it was too much trouble! I was there to try and make a hospital visit more bearable for a friend but found our experience to be one of disappointment! My friends treatment is ongoing so we will need accommodation again in the future. Hopefully if our next stay is with you it will be an improved experience? Angela Henstone

Shared a twin room with my nephew for two nights and we were both very happy with all aspects of our stay. The room was perfectly adequate, all facilities were clean and functional, beds were slightly squishy as were the pillows but this did not effect our quality of sleep (we were shattered though). We didn't use the restaurant in the evening but breakfast was fantastic! it was self service, there was plenty of everything on offer both hot and cold and everything was tasty, we made the most of it and even took an apple with us. All staff were extremely efficient in the restaurant and reception, the service/facilities staff too. My nephew and I checked out feeling very satisfied with Cresta Court Hotel and both agreed we would stay here again, very happy customers, many thanks to Best Western Cresta Court.

Good size (Executive) room, clean and tidy. Excellent Staff through out the hotel. Did not use the restaurant in the evening but Breakfast was really very good, loads of choice all fresh and the room and surrounding are very pleasant. Cannot say anything negative about this hotel and would recommend if you are planning to visit the area.

Myself and my parents stayed for 10 nights visiting family in Manchester and we could not have been better looked after than we were. Alan and Andrea couldn't do enough for us and helped us upgrade our rooms with ease and nothing was too much trouble. We also had the pleasure of meeting Hannah who was equally helpful and attentive and always had a lovely smile on her face. All in all we had a great stay but these three people were the ones that made it perfect especially during a sensitive family time. Thanks again AJ, Andrea & Hannah. One night stay on a business meeting in the hotel. Room was small, tired decor but worst of all, bath was dirty with hairs trapped between bath and shower curtain. Was revolting and not what I would expect from a hotel. Room was warm and fan did not work so had to open the window. No USB socket. Meeting room was small for our group

This was always our go to hotel for flights out of Manchester Never been for a few years however it is as good as we remembered Staff excellent Rooms clean and spacious as we require Facilities great Excellent location We used the park and stay offer (as previous visits) leaving the car at the hotel with a shuttle service offered every 30 mins. Excellent service We will return

We stayed overnight on the 15th January 2022 before going on holiday, we had lovely evening meal and a nice warm bedroom, left our car in their car park for 22 days, and taxi for both journeys included in our package. Lovely warm and contemporary decor. Staff were wonderful, nothing too much trouble. On our return just rang for the taxi, came within 10 minutes , unfortunately our car wouldn't start due to the bad weather, my husband went into reception and a very helpful man came out to help, we had to ring for breakdown service , I went inside and the lady on reception organised some coffee for us while we waited as we were cold ! The hospitality staff were wonderful, they offered fresh pastries too, all complimentary. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone at all. We shall definitely stay there later in the year, 5 out of 5 for everything.

Friendly staff who couldn't do enough to help. Unfortunately the hotel itself needs some serious TLC. In 2022 one does not expect to see mildew growing on the bathroom celing. OK for a one night business stay but never for leisure.

Staff were brilliant. I had a few minor issues that were sorted straight away. Service better than a lot of higher priced so called luxury hotels I have stayed in. If I was to return to the area I would book again.

Everything generally ok, a few slight problems with the room. A couple of lights out, and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall. Unfortunately the maintenance guy finished his shift at 3.30 and we couldn't check in until 3pm so there was no way of getting the jobs done before we left in the morning. The breakfast was excellent and we had a good night's sleep

Whilst the food at the Friday night party and the breakfast at extra cost were really good, it was let down by the dreadful room. Too small for a king size bed, very very uncomfortable bed, tired, outdated and a yucky small bathroom. Not good enough for the money. My friends stayed at the premier inn for a third of the cost, so I deffo won't be staying again. Wall was paper thin, so why fill up two rooms next to each other. Fill every other one, the hotel was nearly empty. Also when I queried it next morning I was told I should have asked to change rooms. Why not give out the better rooms to start with, save having bad reviews.

Well appointed executive room, well worth the extra. Everything worked, no negative issues. Breakfast very good as usual. Didn't use the bar or restaurant in the evening, although menu looked comprehensive and the drink selection good.

The hotel was excellent value for money it was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The location was great for our visit and there was plenty of car parking. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked. The overall experience was very good!

Perfect inexpensive room in the centre of Altrincham. We just needed somewhere to stay as we spent a weekend with some friends and it exceeded expectations. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. The room was a bit pokey, but ultimately I slept like a log in a bed smaller than what I'm used to, which says something for it's quality.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel the staff very friendly and helpful especially has my wife is a coeliac so can not have anything with wheat barley or rye the morning waitress was very helpful especially as we did not know our way round we're we were staying her name was be Thank you to everyone at the hotel

Thank you Cresta Court for our first near normal new year's eve. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute. The food was lovely in the dinner on nye. The staff worked so hard. Came for New Year party. Disappointed when Gala dinner event was cancelled and told that we would lose the deposit if we didn't transfer to the party. We were offered a free Bucks Fizz as consolation Left party at midnight but bedroom was above party area so loud music til 1am. Always found the hotel and facilities very good and staff helpful. Hope next year will be better.

Visiting from France and meeting family for Christmas who live locally. Booked our children into hotel too. Ideal location. Plenty of space in lounge bar for our grandchildren to play their games. Will stay here again.

Enjoyed our brief stay, plenty to recommend it. Very close to town centre. Comfortable room. They respected my wish for someone with a disability. Didn't enjoy breakfast for the price it charged! Would recommend this hotel for a stay & close to the airport.

Fantastic staff at Cresta Court. Cannot thank them enough. From the moment we checked in to checking out gave 100% excellent service. Room was great. A bit too warm and couldn't have the window open all night due to noise outside (large humming air conditioning unit I think) but wasn't a huge issue as not in the room too long. Great size room with a double and a single bed for Grandson. The wedding team were AMAZING!! Timings were perfect, and the food... Well... stunning. Everyone had an amazing day all thanks to the team.

I have stayed here a few times & had diff rooms, but this time all the EXC rooms had gone & given 356, very small double, but its quiet. I was upgraded by AJ as Man United football match was cancelled due to Covid as got room EXC 330 as my usual EXC room was booked. I stayed 4 night, 2 nights I paid with points, paid for 1 breakfast £10, 2 nights on a great deal on the website for BW Reward card holders. I had to this via BW hotels on the phone to use your points, but its worth it. I had a lovely stay room very big with big double bed very firm how I like it, 4 pillows. Cupboard plenty of hanging space, lots of drawers, safe in a cupboard, but due to Covid open, but locked so you can't use it. Plenty of tea, coffee, milks, sugar, bis, 2 bottles of water, coffee machine. Sofa bed, extra coffee table & 2 chairs. Decor could be updated along with the windows, clean & tidy. Bathroom shower over the bath, but needs a heated towel rail or heating, plenty of smellies, needs a lick a paint too. Plenty of towels.... Hot water, power shower was powerful. Housekeeping didn't come in due to Covid, but you could get most things from front desk ask before 11am the following am, but I saw housekeeping on the floor, so just ask for the items I needed. Thank you for keeping us safe. Plenty of hand gel around the hotel, wear masks in public places of the hotel. Plenty of free parking this time too. Thank you to AJ, Andrea, Karen, Hannah, Rachel who checked me in/out. Sorry to hear Emma C & Scott have left, wish them well. Breakfast was buffet, help yourself, plenty of it. Nice clean hotel room. Friendly helpful staff. Only had the breakfast on a two night stay, which was very good. One downside being, one of the evening there was a function resulting in a noisy night (Music didn't finish till 0020, if there is a function don't stay in room 107) Otherwise would recommend if you are staying in the local area stay here.

Our flight was cancelled and the airline, eventually, took us to this hotel. We arrived just after 9pm to be told the restaurant had closed at 9pm. Would have thought someone could of at least provided some sandwiches. Don't know what they charged the airline but it was too much. NO I wouldn't stay here again.

We had booked the king size room for a lovely weekend night away in Altrincham, the photos on booking.com looked lovely that's why we upgraded to this room. Once we arrived the room was very small and cramped. The bathroom was very tiny, there was only 2 small hand towels, the bath was dirty where it hadn't been cleaned properly, the lights constantly flickered on and off and when trying to use the shower the water was just coming out of the fittings and spraying everywhere. As for the room it was very dark and cold, there was stains all over the carpet and rubbish left underneath the bed. When selecting a “King size bed room” I would of expected it to be a king size bed , not 2 single beds pushed together. You could feel the join in the middle and was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Although this next bit isn't necessarily about the hotel I still believe something could of been done about it. At 4:30AM the room next door to us was full of what I believe to be young lads, they banged on our door and several other doors on the corridor, they had a speaker on loud, were shouting and being extremely loud, the constant banging around in the room and all the walls actually kept us awake from this time until 7AM when the noise finally stopped. From in our room we could here other visitors to the hotel shouting to the room telling them to keep the noise down, I believe as this is a hotel and a lot of people were made aware of the disturbance someone should of gone to the room and told them to keep the noise down, at one point we honestly thought they had pulled the radiator off there wall and smashed the whole room up the noise was that loud. We actually packed our bags and was ready for walking out at 6 o'clock because we couldn't believe how awful our night at the hotel was. We are appalled at this hotel and couldn't believe how much the photographs didn't reflect the actual hotel itself. We have stayed in many hotels across the UK and can honestly admit this is the worst place we have ever stayed, we couldn't pull out a single good point from this hotel apart from the kind ladies on reception and we are really upset that it ruined our weekend break away just before Christmas

For the price, the hotel room isn't bad. A bit dated but spacious and comfy in the triple room. Although some have a fridge and others don't. Check in was at 3pm but the rooms were not ready. Reception staff were friendly enough and it wasn't a problem for us as we had a drink in the bar. We went for a Christmas speakeasy party evening - however, there was nothing ‘speakeasy' themed about the evening. We had pre-ordered meal choices but we were all just served the same dishes on the night, including the gluten free member of our group. No one asked what we had ordered. Therefore we had to keep calling over members of staff to change our meals. For the price of the evening, the meal wasn't great. We went into the bar for ‘happy hour' before the evening started, but were charged full price and told its only happy hour in the function room bar - which had not been made clear to us previously. The discount wasn't honoured. We had previously arranged for a cake to be brought in at breakfast the next morning with a few balloons for one of our party who was having a birthday. No one seemed to know about it and it became a bit of an issue to accommodate. We sorted it ourselves at the table but one member of the team didn't seem happy about it at all. Overall, it's ok to stay if say, it's an airport stop over. But would not attend here for an event again.

Competitive price and a large well maintained room. The hotel is clean and staff were really pleasant. We used room service in the evening and the service was quick. In a good location for Altrincham and surrounding areas.

Staff were fine, one of the beds in our room did not have bedding,I had no time to complain as in a hurry, took some bedding of the other bed, the quilt was stained. A huge hotel, can be expensive and cheap at the same time, it served its purpose.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Checked in online to avoid stopping at reception, supposedly we just had to pick up the key but had to answer loads of questions and took ages so prior check in was pointless. The room was extremely tired, poor finishes all round, damp patches all over the ceiling and couldn't even see out of the windows due to condensation (couldn't attach this picture for some reason!? The bed however was a great size and very comfortable!

Well I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times prior to flying off on holiday. We paid for hotel parking a night in the hotel and transfers. I would say its a good package but I certainly did not find the room adequate at all. The shower was the worst I have ever used and literally just a drip to wash your hair with. There is coffee and tea facilities which was good. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in and could not walk past eachother it was so small. The pillows were not great at all. The hotel is around 15 mins in a taxi from the airport which is positive. I would maybe return again in the future but make sure I requested a shower that worked.

15 minutes from Manchester Airport. Plenty of places to eat and drink close by.. hotel bar is ok. Reasonable value, best to book direct. Staff are efficient and friendly. Best thing about the hotel is the fantastic breakfast.

Got put up here due to a flight cancellation. First impressions good. Real friendly reception staff and decent looking public area. Room was dated, needed attention of a paintbrush, carpet change, was small & an uncomfortable bed. That said, it was clean. WiFi was sporadic on the day I was here and made it difficult to carry out some work I had to do. Breakfast was excellent as were the breakfast staff. Ok for a night I guess, but wouldn't be too keen to stay for longer.

Nice hotel with a good location and plenty of free parking. We had 2 rooms for our family. Both on the same floor but not particularly l one to each other. Furnishing was lovely, rooms a little tight for space but adequate, bathrooms in need of a little updating. One of our rooms smelt of cigarettes and was also rather cold despite the radiator being on. Overall for the price the stay was fine. Would come back.

The hotel is well located and parking was straightforward. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as possible. The room was clean and comfortable and an acceptable size for the price. The breakfast was okay, although we skipped it on the second day for something far superior in the local town. Unfortunately, the bed was awful, the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The pillows, too, were hard and sleep was regularly disturbed. Consequently, we slept very badly and returned home exhausted.

When we arrived the entrance from the road was a little tricky to find as it was not sign posted. Reception and lounge was clean but unfortunately the room was filthy. booked a King got a Small double. Friendly staff!

Not a bad hotel; a bit tired in places. Very firm mattress and pillows. When we asked for softer pillows we were told a lot of people complain about them. Why don't they change them then? Breakfast was good except the bacon. We stayed in 4 different hotels on this trip and all had bacon you could re-sole your shoes with.

Rooms are clean and functional. Beds comfortable and large enough. Only small problem I found was that the parking spaces are not very generous at all. Cars are pretty crammed in and if one person parked close, or over the white line, you've no chance of getting your car in. Other than that, I would highly recommend every other aspect of the hotel that we experienced.

I always stay at Cesta Court. I find it great value, easy access to Manchester, Altrincham and the airport. I find the parking access simple, check-in straightforward, staff friendly and I have never thought to stay anywhere else in the Cheshire/Manchester area. Tram to Manchester central is about 15-20mins, airport drive is about 15mins, Chester is about 40mins drive.

Well positioned hotel executive rooms stayed in are to a good Standard some an excellent standard. Staff are welcoming and do their best to offer an excellent service. would stay again. Breakfast very good and variety of produce is excellent something for every one.

Nice hotel, convenient for location. Clean and tidy. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on food or drink. Warm reception and helpful. Stayed in a king room, bed massive, nice bathroom with towels. Only issue was room was too warm for me.

Staff were really excellent - not just with us, I saw them cope with some really rowdy bar patrons and was most impressed at their professionalism and how they kept their cool. In additon, the Saturday morning breakfast was pretty chaotic and they kept it going really well despite obviously not having enough staff. Food was good. Big thank you to the lady who gave me 2 extra tea bags of earl grey for the room! Public areas are a little tired, fabric chair arms worn through for example, but everything seemed clean. Booked a king room. It was tiny with very little room between the bed (which was comfy) and the walls which made it really claustrophic to us, not helped by it being overly warm, even with the window open. We left a day early as a result of this.

We had a lovely four days at the Cresta Court. The double room we had was ok, but the family room was exceptional for the price we paid, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were universally friendly and helpful, but Robert the breakfast chef deserves a special mention. He was manning the open cooking station and buffet calmly and coolly, and went out of his way to help guests find what they needed. Keeping a supply of delicious poached eggs going was especially appreciated!

On arrival we were advised our room would not be ready for 15-20 minutes. 35 minutes later we received our key card. Room was an executive family, although very big, mediocre decor. Sofa bed provided for my daughter had a spring sticking through the mattress and the sheet was too small. Carpet had some large stains otherwise the room was clean. Best western website advised that the lounge bar provide light snacks. When asked, only tuna sandwiches available. No guest information in the room. Breakfast however was excellent. Great selection of food items and Kerry provided exemplary service. For the money paid would have expected better.

Staff helpful and friendly wjth exception of the night porter who was unhelpful and rude. Apparently it is no longer possible for residents to be served from the bar after 11 pm. We sometimes arrive late at night and it is not acceptable that we cannot be served from the bar

Me and my wife have been using this hotel for years now,we attend United home games, we are pleased with the room the staff are very polite and helpful and the restaurant is very nice with good service,we always enjoy our stay and can't wait for the next time

No main light in the room so very dark . Bar is very expensive & limited seating. Very small choice at breakfast, for £10 would expect more than 7 options.

I enjoyed my overnight stay, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room, though a bit on the small side, was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only thing which I found a bit of a pain was there were no plug sockets by the beds. Other than that, I would stay there again.

Very comfortable hotel with all the usual facilities run by friendly and helpful staff. Large car park so there's no problem finding a place. Good breakfasts with veggie and gluten free etc options. Only negative point was a very loud air conditioning unit right under the bedroom window which started up early in the morning- mention this at check in if you are a light sleeper.

Handy hotel but starting to look a little tired and thread bear in places. Don't know why hotel rooms have carpets these days when wooden or Amtico/Karndean flooring would be more hygienic and easier to keep clean. Overall I was satisfied with my stay with respect to the rate paid and my choice of hotel is mostly about location than quality of stay.

The booking was made in advance direct with the Hotel. We were made very welcome on arrival, the bedroom was ready , clean, and functioned well. The breakfast was very good with excellent choice of food.

Whilst the hotel is a little tired, it's a decent enough place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good location to shops, restaurants etc and to the tram station. Trams work so well, very impressed. Plenty of free car parking. Breakfast is basic but sufficient.

The room was large enough to move my walker around. The accessible shower had a ramp and seat and was easy to use. There was also a ramp to the restaurant. Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was lovely and generous portions.

Stayed here for the marathon great location not far to walk to the tram. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and had everything you required. Breakfast was great lots of choice

The website is very misleading as the hotel is not a 2 min walk to the metro, and where it says "All of our 148 bedrooms have been refurbished within the past 2 years" clealry did not refer to our room (222) as the bathroom was more than 20 years old since last updated. The room its self was very clean and very compact, however both pillows and mattrass were very hard. The shower room and curtain smelt of damp, plus there was no rail to hold to get into the bath, plus 2 peeop could not be in there at one time and the Toiletries were of very poor quality Although more importantly, we were never told upon arrival that the rooms were not cleaned, even though there is a sign on the door to “clean my room”, so when I asked about it I was told due to Corona cleaning was not longer offered and to pop by reception when I needed a clean towel or more tea and coffee. Whilst the breakfast room staff were very helpful, it is clear there is nowhere near enough of them to keep on top of the many empty, dirty tables. The choice of food was good and fresh, however a large queue for the tea and coffee area all the time and there was always running out of juice. There is no bar menu as advertised, and I was told there was only the restaurant menu from 5pm, the bar staff was new (and alone) that day and didn't know the answers to my question and of course the service was painfully slow. It would be nice also if there was a dedicated smoking area for guests away from the entrance as its quite shocking to have to walk throught a number of guests smoking, let alone the amount of rubbish and dimps they dropped on the floor plsu you can smell it the moment you come out of the lift, The bar area itself is nice and I guess that's where they spent most of their refurb money on, however I have never in my lift been in a hotel that does not offer drinks for residents at 23.30. The hotel is in a great location and is very good value for money, however it would be nice if they could improve a little on the above points to make this a really enjoyable stay.

The Cons: The room was a little cramped and dated. The evening lighting could have been better as the energy saver light bulbs next to the headboard were next to useless... the adjacent reading lights were brighter. The pillows were too high and hard to what we're used to, and the mattress was quit hard. Walls were paper-thin and guests were often heard slamming their doors at 2am - meaning I didn't sleep well during our stay. The Pros: The staff were wonderful (apart for the young ones in a hurry, who seemed to think that customer was 'just getting in my way' - very impolite was my reaction). The mattress protector was replaced during the second evening of our 3-night stay and our request for a bathmat was also provided for. Parking was amply available - 5 or so disabled bays at the front, close to reception. Breakfast was good and I commend Chef Robert for his Full English... On our final morning, I noted he even cooked a large pan of scrambled eggs for another guest even though it was (just) past the time for the breakfast sitting. Overall, I had a pleasant experience - made especially so by the staff. Thank you.

We used this hotel when visiting our student daughter as most central Manchester hotels were booked up (Tory conference, football matches). The hotel staff were good, very helpful and polite, and the room was spacious and clean. Our only problem was with noisy neighbours – a group of very drunk and very loud football fans. However, after complaining to the lady on reception, someone was sent up to sort the problem and the chanting/swearing died down. So, great staff and OK hotel, but I'll be checking the football fixtures next time.

Stayed two nights for Manchester United the rooms are basic but clean and had everything we needed even an iron an board. Nothing too much trouble for the staff cleaner was stunning an had top banter credit to the team. Direct links to stadium, worth staying again for sports package includes breakfast and beers.

We have used the Cresta Court consistently for interviews and meetings over the last 5 years. Always been very happy with the service and cleanliness of the Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Very easy to book.

Good rate for bed and breakfast-£62. Good internet access. Room was small but had everything we needed. Noisy traffic overnight due to location of room. Good breakfast well cooked but a bit of a scrum at the time we ate. Service in restaurant for evening meal was attentive

Me and my partner enjoyed staying at the Cresta court hotel and we will definitely stay here again. All of the staff were really nice and helpful. We had a 3 course meal and breakfast and the food was amazing.

My wife and I were given an adapted room (for disabled) next to a noisy lift. The room was boiling and the desk top fan useless. The window that could be opened let into the room the noise of traffic from a main road thoroughfare intermingled with the noise of sirens from the emergency services. The hotel was heaving through the night with young adult clientele. Too noisy for us old fogeys

All the basics were fine . But we noted a deterioration in the breakfast from the last time we stayed. It is now a rather impersonal self service set up whereas when we stayed last year tea and coffee were table served and the cooked breakfast was served by a cook who very obviously took pride in his job and was relentlessly cheerful.

Reception excellent. Rooms small and tired looking. Check what your booking provides. We thought we had booked the same deal but part of the family had breakfast included and others did not and asked to pay £10 each on top. Very annoying and left us hangry!!

Stayed here several times in the past. Great location for the airport with free transfers. Arrived early hours after flying into the uk from lanzarote. Fast and efficient check in. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Great place to start and finish your holiday.

As per the title! The hotel is a great venue ideal to hold a function or for a short stay within the area. The rooms were clean and functional with working bathroom, clean and tidy bed. Linen was spotlessly clean and all staff - every member of staff I interacted with, including the cleaning staff, were polite, friendly and helpful, there was a 'can do' attitude. I did not use the bar/restaurant facilities during my stay as they were not needed with my itinerary, but I was offered breakfast, and the area looked pleasant and inviting. I only have two criticisms of the hotel. First of all, the car park layout is poor - more spaces cannot be created by painting them far too narrow, I could barely leave my vehicle and it made parking difficult. Secondly, none of the hotel is Air Conditioned, not even a ventilation system. I found my original room to be too warm as it was on the first floor and most windows were locked for security - the reception were very obliging in relocating me to an upper floor in order to have opening windows.

Stayed here with my son on a sports weekend break. Good location . Close to the tram/ train and to the shops/market. Good value for money but the rooms need a little modernisation. Ground floor reception and restaurant areas are well decorated and modern. Overall a good choice for a short break.

I have stayed at Cresta Court a few times now, and have always found it to be very straightforward and easy. OK, it's not super-luxurious, or boutiquey, but in my experience, everything is clean, it all works and the rooms have everything you need. In fact, having stayed in super-luxurious and boutiquey hotels in my time, I would say Cresta Court compares very favourably on a lot of metrics. Check-in is friendly and competent, the rooms are spick and span, with full length mirrors and mirrors by a desk/table so you can do your makeup without having to put all your stuff in the bathroom basin. They can't offer amazing views of the beach, or a beautiful medieval city etc, but that's not why you're in Altrincham in the first place. The restaurant is not a gourmet hub of experimental gastronomy, but breakfast and dinner are both nicely cooked and served. In other words, it does what it sets out to do really well, and is very good value for money.

As the title explains, we attended a wedding yesterday and all the staff throughout the day were lovely, it appeared to be pretty organised however the hotel itself needs attention. The toilets next to reception were honestly like a sauna. It made me feel ill each time I went in as it smelt of warm pee, I know I'm not alone in thinking this as many guests were going back to their rooms to use the toilet there instead. The rooms were a huge let down, the bed was awful, soft and definitely need upgrading. Lighting in the room was strange, so it was very dark. The bathroom was that of a much lower grade hotel, black around the silicone, frayed shower curtain and some kind of splatter all over the back of the door. The rooms all have fans, so clearly the hotel are aware that the room temperature is an issue, it was sooooo hot despite only being 17°-21° all day. Along with the awful mattress both of us got very little sleep. I paid very little in comparison to others, so I didn't complain to the hotel. However if I'd paid more, I'd have been furious. Breakfast was decent for the cost!

We used a function room at the hotel for a family funeral and I can't tell you what great customer service and support we received from Fatimo in arranging this. Nothing was too much trouble and she made the whole process so easy at a time that can sometimes be difficult. The staff who looked after us on the day were amazing and the food top notch (and reasonably priced). I would definitely recommend this as a venue for any get together/event.

My Sister and I stayed to attend a family party held in one of the function room. The food at the party was absolutely delicious especially the carvery. Our room, 108, was very spacious but a little dated. The bathroom desperately needs updating in a similar style to the rooms across the corridor which you can easily see when the maids are cleaning the rooms. The hotel overall was very clean with sanitiser available at regular points. Every member of staff we encountered was polite and friendly. Would gladly stay again if we are in Altringham.

All contact with staff was great, very welcoming, pleasant, and happy to greet. Room was clean but decor dated. Not the fault of the team but could use a refresh. Previous reviews had mentioned low water pressure in the shower so we were prepared and this is nothing the team would be able to resolve. Would def use again and only scored it average because of the room decor. The bar, reception etc all looked recently refurbed

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending the Neighbourhood Weekender Festival in Warrington. As we aren't familiar with the area we thought this was close as on the advertisement it said ‘1.8 miles from Victoria Park' when we googled hotels close to Victoria Park Warrington. It turns out the hotel is around 15 miles away. Luckily the hotel has a taxi service that took is there in the mornings but they refused to pick us back up after the festival which meant we were stranded in a place we'd never been before. We ended up getting lifts back with a girl who took us under our wing but we don't know what we would have done if we weren't so lucky with that. Apart from the distance and taxi issues, the hotel and the room was lovely, tidy and clean and we slept very well. My only complaint is the black mould growing on the plastic on the bottom of the shower screen and the fact no shower caps were provided. We also asked for a fan to be put in our room in advance and we didn't get that but we still slept really well in the end so this wasn't essential.

Overall, our stay was very comfortable, the rooms were really nice and clean, the staff was very friendly. the rooms, bar and restaurant and communal areas were clean and modern, and the breakfast was a really good start of the day. Great location too. We will be back!

Cresta Court hotel is a large hotel just outside Altrincham. We used this hotel as our base whilst attending a family celebration nearby. Nice friendly staff, clean room with usual amenities. Ample parking although it was almost full when we arrived probably due to a wedding reception taking place. Good place to stay and not expensive

Stayed here for one night as I had an appointment early the next day. I was a bit worried as I didn't pay much and some of the reviews were a bit off, but I just needed somewhere to sleep. I needn't have worried - it exceeded my expectations! The staff on the front desk were lovely and welcoming. I was travelling alone and have severe anxiety but felt cared for and safe. The room was spotlessly clean, a nice bathroom, a TV and drink making facilities, a fan and even an ironing board. The bed was nice and comfortable, the room was perfect temperature and I slept really well. Breakfast was self serve and a good variety available, again the staff were extremely friendly and making conversation with all guests. It was a very nice atmosphere and environment. I have paid much more for hotels in the past and they haven't been as nice as this one! Overall I am extremely pleased and will be back again in the future. :)

I stayed here as part of a park and fly deal. The deal was quite good as it included an over night stay, parking for the duration of the holiday and transport to and from the airport in a taxi. There is a lot of car parking space at the hotel which is great. I felt that the check in staff were good and they asked me to fill out a few bits relating to when I was to be picked in the following morning and when I would be returning. The taxi was waiting promptly for me in the morning at 4am which I was impressed with. On return I was asked to phone the taxi agency when I landed so that they may come and pick me up to take me back to my car. I wasn't too impressed with this part (I know it's not the hotels fault but it is part of their package). I did give all my flight details before I left but they didn't seem to have me on their files. They said it would be an hour of waiting. He told me to wait in the wrong place (he said meet and great when it was the pick up area). Anyway from there it was no issue to get back to the hotel. My stay was ok. The bed was comfy enough and it had all the things you would expect including a tv, kettle, soap and shampoo. The room did not have air con and so I had a fan. The room was still hot even with this but I was thankful for it! I had my dinner in their restaurant and was impressed with their service and good food.

Received a lot of emails prior explaining check in process and if i needed to upgrade etc. Super easy and receptionist was great and i had no complaints at all. Room did the job. Would highly recommend and stay again in future.

Where do I start , our first room had a bed that was clearly beyond its shelf life ,we recorded the sounds and went to front desk , showed them the video the young guy immediately changed our room So far so good . Reception had offered me points on the gold card or a voucher for a free drink ,I took the drink as I knew my wife would enjoy a G&T - BIG mistake ,I went to the bar and enquired should I use this for a pint or a G&T ,” oh get the pint as the spirits are more expensive “ so I ordered a pint and paid for it ,when my wife came down I ordered her the G&T and then the fun started ,briefly the waiter couldn't process the free drink,so called another manager who eventually discovered the voucher was only for a beer or wine etc not G&T ,I pointed out his own staff didn't know that and it doesn't say that anywhere on the voucher itself so off he trots and comes back saying “ on this occasion we will let it go but please remember for future use it's beer etc “ . I replied that he might like to advise his managers to simply put it on the voucher and also maybe let the waiters know? As it's embarrassing for all Next morning we we went out and came back c 6pm to find the room had not been serviced so once more to receptionist and we pointed out we were not happy so could they record the fact and we didn't want it done now ( c 6.30- 7pm ) as we were getting ready ,she agreed and said something would be done . Of course the cleaners then knocked ! On checking out we were asked did you enjoy the stay so we answered honestly no ,it was the worst we had had at that hotel ( we had our wedding reception there ,left the area twenty years ago so have used it for every trip back to family .) We reminded them they were going to sort something and yes ANOTHER manager appeared who tried to explain sort of defensively and a little sharply that if we worked in hospitality we would understand that they were working up to 1 6 hours a day . She added everyone else was understanding ,pointing out room service at 7 was offered but declined- as if it was normal! I replied we usually patient but the constant repeated failures were not acceptable, maybe she was new to the role but customer service and the notion that the customer was always right were not part of her training ,to me at least. “ what are you looking for she enquired “ a gesture I said £10 or £15, simply an acknowledgment. “ . She countered …I can offer you £54 ,is that alright . I of course said thanks , no wonder they are struggling. My perception is they are trying to run a hotel at full occupancy with a number of key positions not covered . Yes I would go back hoping the staff and managers were more effectively trained ,and reminded they don't always need to have the last word . All our items we asked to be recorded but they were new to the manager so clearly the processes they have are clearly inadequate .

Booked this hotel for a one night stay with 14 nights parking. Transfer to Manchester Airport was included in the price. Check in quick and efficient. Reception staff organised our transfer to airport. Room was well decorated and spacious. Would certainly book again when travelling from Manchester airport.

Rooms could do with refurbishments and are quite cramped. All the staff are excellent always very welcoming. Communal areas very pleasant (bar & restaurant). The breakfast is great value everything is catered for. No air conditioning.

Friendly efficient staff. Food well cooked with lots of choice. Good location and good facilities. And we had a very nice breakfast with a range of healthy choices. I had bran flakes because they keep you regular.

On arrival staff at reception were friendly and polite, room was really hot but a fan was provided. Shower could be better. Bed really comfy pity I did get any sleep though due to next door fighting and sounding like smashed hotel room up. On Arrival for retirement doo we had no bar staff for 30 mins then the 2 that came to serve said "this bar isn't supposed to be open this evening" They then disappeared after serving drinks and a different bar person just kept nipping in to serve but we didn't have a staff member all the time so was constantly waiting for a drink unless went to main bar near reception which had different prices and was holding a wedding so wasn't really ideal to go get our drinks. Having not slept I skipped breakfast and left to go home early so not sure what that was like.

First time visit to this hotel and I am so impressed of the friendly service and my stay! We stayed here for one night before travelling up to Scotland. Check in was super fast and easy! Rooms were clean and basic, beds were very comfy! Breakfast was amazing too with lots of food options available! The food was fresh and you won't go hungry! Overall really enjoyed my stay and definitely will return! Well done!

I visited here last night to meet my mum and her friend who were staying here! We had dinner in the the restaurant of the hotel! The food was lovely we all throughly enjoyed the meals we had great portion sizes and the food was very tasty! The gentleman that served us was lovely! His name was George! Very polite guy!

The reception staff could not do enough for us, so helpful and so friendly. The room was modern, clean and comfy and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a lovely short stay, we hope to come back soon.

We had to book a hotel at short notice near to Manchesyer airport. The Best Western gave the best package, one night stay with car parking and a taxi service to the airport all in the room price, which was reasonable. Had a small hiccup with the taxi shuttle, they don't like to take more than two people (we had four in our party) with luggage in a car. So make sure the hotel requests a bus if there is more than two of you, as we had to wait a further half hour for another car to turn up.

Cycling coast to coast 4 bikes and luggage bikes put in a room and liked up very good breakfast traveling with 1 vegetarian no problems at breakfast The group was spreed from 43 to 70 Good position for town Center plenty of nice places to eat

Just a little feedback We stayed for 3 nights from 5th August and had several issues: We were upset that there were no draws in the room and we did not want to live out of the suit case. We did complain at the time. There was no bedside table for clock, book, drink, etc. Clearly a small set of draws would clear this point. There was no handle to help us out of the shower. It's likely that an older person will slip. There was no receptacle or than a cup for drinks. I need a drink during the night. It is clear that the room refurb was about saving money but it fails to satisfy us. The publi areas were OK and the staff were very helpful. I would advise to demand a room with draws if you plan to stay more than one night.

We found our standard room to be rather basic and a bit cramped for space. Bed was lumpy and pillows very hard. There was a lot of road noise during the night that we couldn't shut out as needed the windows open for air. Good location fir both centre of Altrincham and easy to get into Manchester with its really good tram links. Bar area was very nice and welcoming but when we checked in quite late as we'd been out all day it was difficult to get the attention of reception staff who were in the office.

I had a very very terrible experience here. The toilet seat was very bad and shaky. It eventually got disconnected and gave way as I sat on it. It had to be removed completely to avoid any mishaps. I have never seen a brown almost turning black dirty and disgusting bath screen seal. It was so horrible to look at. The bed was so so uncomfortable. It was shaky and felt it was going to fall apart just like the toilet seat. The whole ambiance was a turnoff. I wish I could rate a Zero!!!

We had lovely stay at the cresta court hotel the room way nice and clean good breakfast and the staff was excellent the location of the hotel is good easy walking to bars cafe and restaurants and the tram into Manchester is just a 10 minute walk

Staff friendly and efficient. Rooms small and dated with over power smell of cigarette smoke. Cigarette butts discarded out of bedroom windows at the main entrance, staff do their best but are fighting a never ending battle. Very busy and noisy hotel which resulted in a bad nights sleep. Breakfast good if you're a meat eater not so great for those who aren't. Location was good for our needs but wouldn't stay again, over priced.

Stayed for a wedding.. wasn't sure what to expect .. pleasantly surprised at size standard and staff. Very nice clean and welcoming. Only downside was they didn't swipe card so a little embarrassing when trying to pay fire drinks during the night as didn't realise

I have stayed at this hotel many times for business & a few times with my wife when meeting friends in ALtrincham. We stayed last weekend on Friday & Saturday night & on arrival all was ok. We left to go out the first night & the bar was full of wedding guests. When we returned to the hotel after midnight there were 2 Police cars outside and when we got to our floor 2 officers were entering the room next door to the one our friends were staying in. They had to listen for almost an hour to an altercation between a couple before the Police took one or both of the parties away. Meanwhile after having been in bed for only an hour or so, my wife & I were woken first by the fire alarm going off for a few seconds (as many other people were I'm sure) & then were unable to get back to sleep due to the noise from a room party somewhere very close to us - we put up with the loud music, shouting & swearing for about 15mins then rang reception. We were told it would be sorted, it wasn't so we had to report it again & this time the music was turned down/possible open window shut as the voices became muffled, but the party still seemed to be going on. On the second night of our stay, we returned to the hotel to be greeted by guests from another wedding milling about directly outside the main entrance clearly worse for wear, smoking, drinking, swearing & causing an obstruction. There were glasses & bottles on the wall & the ground (& there were a lot) plus cigarette butts all over. This should not be allowed as it's unpleasant & unsightly and the glasses/bottles are dangerous if anyone fell - there should be a designated smoking area away from the entrance & guests should be encouraged to remain in the bar/lounge area. This kind of scene is intimidating & unpleasant to anyone arriving at what is normally a reasonable hotel.

Public areas of the hotel are OK although reception area gets crowded very quickly as it's small. Rooms are small (pleased to get a king sized bed but not when it is squeezed into such a small room!) and desperately need some TLC. We had cracks in the ceiling and broken tiles in the bathroom along with a broken toilet handle. Staff where friendly and helpful and the breakfast was satisfactory. Overall 'fair' given how little we paid for the room + breakfast.

I came with my mum after visiting the flower show . The rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Decent shower . Comfy bed and good breakfast . Easy check in . Staff friendly inwpuld happily stay again

No Air-conditioning made room very uncomfortable. All other aspects of room fine. Staff friendly helpful. Cling film on bread at breakfast not a good idea. Fruit cocktail at breakfast would have been good to.

The overall stay was great. Beds were really comfy. Check in was super easy and they have a lift in the building so you don't have to carry your bags up. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Hotel is in walking distance to everything and you can get the tram into Manchester which was good. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely too, choice of full english or continental and it was have a much as you can eat. They only one downside was that we stayed whist it was very hot (30+ degrees) and the hotel rooms were really hot. They provided a fan to try and help with this but it was still very stuffy so just be prepared if you happen to stay during summer months

A great base for two days visiting RHS Tatton flower show and a National Trust property nearby. The front of house staff were excellent sorting out a mixup with an external booking company and were very friendly. Easy parking and close to restaurants and bars for the evenings we were there. Altrincham was such a nice place to visit.

We've just had an overnight stay whilst attending a family party in the area. It was a last minute booking. The hotel was clean and the staff polite and friendly. Our room was a little dated, but it was clean and served it's purpose. A good breakfast, which was self serve. The hotel was busy (fully booked) and there was a shortage of staff in the restaurant but they were coping as best they could. As a budget hotel it was okay.

The room we stayed in was extremely dated! Huge stains all over the curtains. Bed was rock hard. Bathroom was dated and didn't feel clean. Killed 5 silverfish bugs in the bathroom at night time. Extremely hot and lack of air ventilation. Lack of space to move around

Rooms were so hot as there was no A/C. First fan didn't work past setting 1, second fan wasn't very effective at all. Shower was pathetic and had no power as off a tap in the bath. Considering the reasonable looking reception area, the rooms were a massive let down. Won't visit again.

Stayed 2 nights, a Friday and Saturday. Hotel is generally tidy, better than it looks from the outside. Beds and pillows were not comfortable at all. It was a warm weekend but no air conditioning and the fan in the first room not functioning properly. All that plus the noise from busy roads outside and someone nearby playing loud music till 4am made sleep impossible. Changed rooms for second night, away from roads. Still too warm and again rowing neighbours made sleep almost impossible. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Staff were very helpful when asked.

I stayed for a night out with friends.The beds and pillows are too hard and uncomfortable, the room was far too hot (no air conditioning) and there is lots of road noise. Not a very restful stay. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly but the sleeping arrangements really let the hotel down

Very good price for a basic hotel. Staff on checking in and out were excellent and COVID compliant. Room is basic but did what I wanted and the coffee making facilities and biscuits were welcome. Bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was decent although toilet flush needed a bit of elbow power I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and will do so again.

Absolutely perfect.Have stayed previously and intend to use regularly in future as we are moving to Ireland and hope to be flying in to visit our family nearby. Restaurant manager was friendly, helpful and courteous and dealt with a difficult guest with tact and complete respect.

Arrived at the hotel, parking was very easy, lots of space. Clean and bright reception area, Check in was very easy and quick. Booked transfer to Manchester Airport. Lift to the floor and room. The room was spacious and well Presented, spotless clean with modern decor. Beds extremely comfortable. Staff were welcoming and courteous. Will certainly recommend and will stay again. We always stay in this hotel when in Altrincham as it never fails to please. The staff are always very attentative, good selection of drinks and food. Parking is always easy and relatively secure. We highly recommend.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was great for an event in Altrincham we were going to and the room was ideal. We paid £10 each for a good breakfast, which was all very well organised. We would be happy to visit again.

This is my hotel of choice for a pre flight stay and parking. It's a brilliant location close to the airport and you can ask for a private taxi to be included in your quote with car parking. The price is extremely reasonable and better/cheaper to book direct with the hotel than through any other source. Other than value for money it's the staff that make this hotel special from a lovely greeting at reception to the amazing Karen at breakfast nothing is too much trouble and you'll be made to feel that you're the most special guest they've had! Great amenities a short walking distance with a trendy nightlife of bars and restaurants. The hotel restaurant has a good menu very reasonably priced too if you would rather stay in.

Paid for an executive room which was lovely . But I didn't expect at 3 am the fire alarm goes off and for ages. Then my neighbour started to kick off about 4 am lots of shouting banging doors then they were removed from the premises . It wasn't the hotels fault but it did ruin my stay as I left feeling exhausted ,

We stayed for 2 nights this weekend and had a lovely time. We booked an executive room with dinner bed and breakfast. The room was huge and the bed really comfy. Having a little fridge in there would have made our stay more comfortable, but the bar were happy to provide an ice bucket when we asked. Breakfast was ok, the dining room is very pleasant and there was plenty of food - our only criticism is that the bacon was overcooked and our steak at dinner was very well done when we had ordered it to be medium. Although I'm sure if we had mentioned it they would have changed it for us, but we didn't want to waste the food we had been served. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are friendly and welcoming and lovely. The hotel has a laid back atmosphere and you can feel at home there. We found Altrincham itself had a lot to offer. The shopping high street is within walking distance and it has the market running down the middle of the street. It looked very pretty. We were spoilt for choice with bars and restaurants too. All in all, we loved our stay and would definitely come back. Thanks Cresta Court!

My wife and I booked this hotel as we wanted to visit Altrincham markets. The hotel is ideally located for the town centre and offers free parking. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful. The room was great (I think we were upgraded to a 'superior' room). The bed was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was decent too! Highly recommend. Great value. Will definitely stay again.

We have stayed here twice now last year and this year all very Covid safe fantastic things in places and staff can't do enough to help nothing is to much for them and it's a dog friendly place as well

Great room with lots of space. Whole hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The breakfast was tasty and lots available. The dining room was well laid out with lots of space between tables. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Staff was fantastic and super helpful. I really appreciated that. Food from the Townsfield restaurant next door was pretty good. My room was quite warm and the window could only open minimally. There was quite a bit of dust and the carpeted floor hadn't been vacuumed in some time as there was a build-up of dust under the bed. The fan in my room did not work and there was a bobbi pin on the desk from a previous guest. The lack of cleanliness is really my only complaint.

Zaynab and I and our pet chihuahua Prince have just spent a total of 6 nights at the Cresta Court hotel. We stayed for 4 nights last week and have just been back for the last 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. It is the best hotel we have stayed in throughout the country. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the food is superb. We want to say a massive thank you to the amazing manager Adele and Mark for going out of their way for us and for making us so very welcome and making us feel so special. Excellent service throughout my stay. Checking in and checking out was smooth and hassle free. The staff at breakfast were excellent and so friendly. The room was a small double and quite compact but fine for a single traveller, it was however very clean. The hotel is a good bit away from Manchester City centre but taxis weren't overly expensive and were extremely speedy.

Stayed here one Saturday night. Had full English breakfast included. Really liked it here, 5 mins walk to town. Hotel was great staff friendly, rooms clean, excellent breakfast. No complaints. Thanks.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Charming and efficient staff. We were a large group (34 guests). There were no complaints. We are very likely to use this hotel in future. Our enormous coach was easily accommodated in the car park.

Attended an ice hockey camp with my son. Location for ice rink and local bars/restaurants perfect. However, room quite small and tired looking so can't give full marks. Staff pleasant and informative, and would definitely return; good value for money.

Stayed here several times in the past, and in spite of restrictions due to covid, everything was spot on. Room service for dinner was excellent as was the grab n go breakfast. Plenty of hand sanitiser at key points, and will definitely stay again

I stayed here after moving out of my house and waiting for my new house Friendly, helpful staff Despite COVID restrictions a pleasant stay I also had my dog with me and the hotel catered for her as well

The room was hot so I opened the windows - but having a front facing room, it was impossible to sleep as the road outside is constantly busy and noisy. Staff were great and the COVID19 protocols were very reassuring. Suspect a rear facing room would have improved my score and they cannot really help the location, but I didn't have a relaxing sleep. Will be back and will request a rear facing room next time.

The hotel was very easy to find with plenty of parking. Upon entering at reception I was greeted by a very welcoming and friendly member of staff who sorted out my room and gave me all the info I needed about room service and breakfast. All the staff I met were very friendly and chatty. The room was good nice comfy bed the only let down was the windows as with being next to a busyish road could hear the traffic. Apart from that my stay was very good

The hotel has parking on site and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The catering offer through the limitations of the restrictions is very very good. Rooms are very clean and the wifi is good. It is situated on the main road at Altincham and easy to find.

Stayed at the Cresta Court in Altrincham for a two day business trip. The online check in made arrival very straightforward. The provisions for breakfast and dinner in room were bery good. There was a good sinner menu and delivery to the room was prompt and courteous. The guys serving breakfast to go were friendly and efficient and did a great job in these trying times. Well done Cresta Court team.

Stayed at the Cresta court hotel. lovely place rooms a very big and clean tho it could do with being a little more modern bit more color in the room. the bathroom was roomy and easy walk in shower was very modern. also allowed Dogs which is a great Bonus for us

The room was what all we needed for a one-night stay. Parking excellent and staff very helpful about ensuring accessibility for my partner. Room service was prompt and food good and all the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Internet and TV good. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Manchester. It is also very easy to get to and find from the M6 and M56 motorways. And all the facilities of Altrincham are a short walk away.

The hotel was nice overall, most of the staff were nice besides Bev. She has a bit of an attitude problem. Maybe she didn't get enough sleep? But yeah, overall good stay. Lovely food - only thing I didn't like about breakfast is how runny the eggs were. It was ready to sprint off my plate.

Great location only a 5 minute walk into Altrincham, family room was comfortable and spacious. The hotel itself was immaculate and staff are excellent, particularly in the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious, including cereals, fresh fruit and a full english. Our evening meals were also very nice. Me and my husband both agreed that our stay was faultless.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is well situated close to Altrincham town centre and there's loads of free parking. Room rate we paid was good value at under £60/night and although the room was rather small, it was fairly comfortable and worth the money. Our main complaint was the hard mattress. Staff were quite friendly on the whole although check-in was awkward as apparently the system was down. There are hand sanitisers everywhere and Covid precautions have been taken. Breakfast decent and comprehensive. Staff happy to help with requests for ironing board, milk etc. Generally a good hotel.

Stayed here when flying from Manchester,easy to find and safe on site parking with excellent taxi transfers included in price, nice friendly hotel staff, excellent food in restaurant, rooms and facilities good, so good we stayed for the night on return, would highly recommend and will definitely use again

Stayed a night at this hotel. Were extremely impressed by the covid 19 measures that were in place at reception and in the dining area. Check in took 5 mins and was given room 331 which was a lovely clean room. Especially the bathroom . In the morning we went down for a lovely breakfast. Very varied by rangeing from cereals and toast to pastries or a full English. We chose to go down the full English route which was very tasty. The guy serving was extremely pleasant and chatted with us and wished us a happy holiday when we were leaving. We will definitely come back again Thanks for a lovely nights sleep

We booked the hotel through holiday extras with parking included and it was such good value. We had a fantastic family room, which was spacious and well equipped for five of us. The taxi to the airport was well organised for the next morning and the staff were really helpful, particularly as I'd made a mistake with our booking! We didn't get the best night's sleep unfortunately because we were facing the main road and it sounds like there is loose manhole cover, so it was extremely noisy, but obviously that's not the fault of the hotel. Definitely recommend!

The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is very good and is fairly priced, the rooms are clean and comfortable and it is well situated in the town. Excellent! Breakfast is great and served at a very convenient time. Fast and efficient check in and out.

Always clean friendly and a good place to sleep eat and drink. Me and my partner always come to this hotel when coming to see friends and family in Manchester. Amazing staff made our stay even more enjoyable. The option to leave your car and get a pre paid taxi to and from the airport too good to miss. Rooms very clean food fantastic so eay to get to, but the thing that makes it special were the staff, A big thank you to the night staff sending us on our way at 3.30 am with two fresh coffees. Nothing was too much trouble, well worth booking the Cresta Court

The staff at the Cresta were excellent. Gave great service and were friendly. The rooms were clean but slightly dated. Bar well stocked. Very clean social areas adhering to Covid practices. Hand gell in all areas. Tables cleaned after each use. Breakfast was excellent. Good quality full english. So close to all bar areas in Altrincham Lovely italian over the road Da noi.

I had to work away and this hotel was near my work location so I booked it as I knew I will be out all day so I wasn't looking for anything expensive. Hotel is clean and is adapted well to Covid health and safety. Breakfast was actually good, chef Mark was making eggs to your choice and considering it's a basic hotel the variety of breakfast was great and tasty. Service was also great in the restaurant in the evening, very friendly and polite. So two things that I wasn't so pleased with is that I book Standart king size room and it was much smaller then I thought also the other thing that had a impact on my stay was the bed, as it was really hard to sleep on. Overall this was good stay on a budget.

Very helpful staff at front desk after I arrived having not booked a room they made sure I was given an appropriate room. The room was clean although slightly noisy with the main road just outside. Lots of options for breakfast which was self serve. However evening food menu was limited although plenty restaurants nearby for more options but they were not accessible as much due to COVID-19 at the time. Showed sky sports for the football and a nice chilled environment.

Stayed for one night with work, checked in very late Delighted to find they were serving food to the room or outside, full credit to the hotel for providing this as many still aren't during this time. Room was small, but clean with decent amenities and the bed comfortable Would recommend if you're looking for a base for greater or central Manchester

I was very disappointed in this hotel. I stayed during covid19 lockdown (essential worker) and although it was acceptable the public areas were closed, there wasn't even a bar of soap in the bathroom. I booked an executive room with a king size bed. The room I was given, although recently refurbished by the looks of it, was very small, small window, very little natural light, was stifling hot with no AC or fan (good job i brought my own fan) and only had a standard size bed, not a kingsize. Exec rooms on the website looked far larger, nicer and bigger beds than i got and felt very cheated that i didn't get what i paid for. Had it not been covid19 lockdown i would have complained but under the circumstances I didn't. I wouldnt stay again if i am going to be cheated out of what I paid for

Had to travel to the area due to my fathers death, a lot of hotels in the area wouldn't accommodate me due to covid but this hotel listened to me when I explained why I needed to travel from Portsmouth to Stockport and happily took my booking. Very friendly when I was there, bar etc was closed but nothing I asked for was too much trouble. Very grateful for the kindness shown during this awful time. Room good too. Would recommend if in the area

Hotel is fine for a short stay - staff great, rooms clean and adequate - perhaps a tad dated and WIFI isn't great at times - but overall - fine for what I need. Regularly stay and not had any other issues asides from the WIFI

The poor hotel staff are fighting a losing battle - no matter how good their service, the condition of the hotel is outdated and in need of repair and updating. I had no problem with the staff (although the restaurant staff were slow). The room was much smaller than cheaper hotels (such as travelodge or premier inn) - it also had pools of condensation on the window ledge (I wondered if that may be the case when I arrived and saw several bedroom windows open during a very windy cold evening). My room was cold when I entered, I turned on the old radiator and it took quite some time to warm up (I went to dinner and came back and it still wasn't warm enough - staff gave me a portable heater). The bed mattress was so light I could move it with a couple of fingers, and it was uncomfy and lumpy. Add to all that, the noisy main road that the less insulated windows were facing, and it made for a night of barely a wink of sleep. The bath water dribbled out and took around 20 minutes to fill up to a decent enough level, and the service in the restaurant was slow - even for just a drink (I think maybe my order wasn't put through and they forgot about me). However, the food was excellent, and the restaurant was quite nice in its presentation. I checked out early and moved to the Travelodge in Trafford Park which was not only warmer, more comfy, quieter, with decent water pressure and so on, it was also cheaper!

Stopped 1 night. Lovely staff, made us feel very welcome. Room was nice and good coffee making facilities. Comfortable beds. The hotel had an Abba tribute act in the evening and they were fabulous. The stay finished with a lovely breakfast.

My room was a bit on the wee side and there was a mad function going on but a perfectly decent hotel. No issues at all. Shower wasn't great, quite a weak stream. Bar seemed understaffed with until later.

We stayed one night before our flight from Manchester Airport. The reception staff were most helpful, efficient and answered our questions. The room was small but adequate, very clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but this is not a holiday destination hotel, it is for business stopovers and PERFECT if you're flying from Manchester Airport. The taxi organised and paid for by the hotel arrived on time, and the taxi on the return journey arrived very promptly, both taxi drivers courteous and well presented in clean vehicles. Thoroughly recommend as a Park & Fly hotel, we will be using again. Great start to our holiday!

We stayed here for a valentines special..it was absolutely amazing. We had 3 course evening meal and breakfast.which were both delicious. The staff were very friendly and professional.we would definitely stay here again

The hotel is practical, clean and generally good. The communal areas are a lot better the rooms just a little tired but functional and fine for a business stay I just wanted to highlight some feedback from my recent visit and the service provided by Emma C on reception. She really went over and beyond with an issue I had printing some important documents, she tried a couple of things that didn't work and then found a solution. Id travelled all the way up from somerset just to present these forms so not having them would have been a nightmare This and her general helpful and pleasant demeanour really make the cresta court – an asset to you

stayed here on the run upto Xmas . very good hotel with acceptable food and lodgings . we took our doggy with us and he was welcomed with no problem. easily accessible from the M6 and other main routes

We have stayed several times in the Cresta Court and we have never had a bad experience. We were able to secure an overnight stay in the hotel for £57.00 as we are regular visitors to the hotel.. A bargain for anyone's pocket that you must agree. Now onto the stay, checking in was done very efficaciously and we were then off to the town with a cheery farewell from the receptionist. When we came back from the town we had ourselves a lovely room, very comfortable bed and a functional bathroom with a bath which in some other hotels you are deprived of. Augmenting this is a nice warm radiator creating a room with a warm atmosphere and considering that the weather outside was atrocious we were warm and comfortable. What more can I say about the Cresta apart from the fact that its just perfect for an overnight stay and the breakfast which is included in the price is always excellent. Bravo the Cresta Court bravo...

Easy access from m62 ,handy and secure parking.Quick and efficient booking in and access to room. Efficient and polite staff.Nice basic room with all amenities,Clean quiet and comfortable.We always use this hotel when going to Man aeroport,includes taxi fare as well!

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel nice check in transfer to airport in the morning was good even though he tried to charge us !!! Coming back was another story we waited over a hour for a return taxi even after being told our taxi was waiting for us when I rang on landing:-( when I got back to the hotel I told the night manager about our experience he didn't seam intrested

Used this hotel for first time for stay and parking before going on holiday. We were warmly welcomed and given our room and completed parking details. The room was good and warm. We had a meal package and the food was good served by friendly staff. The breakfast was good and varied.

Excellent location to access the airport only 10-15 minute drive, The town with many eateries is only 10 minutes walk. Staff are friendly and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. I've had mixed experience of eating in the restaurant hence the 4 rating

On the 25th Feb 2020 we held a Robbie Burns Night 90 friends gather for a traditional Scottish meal of cock-a-Leslie soup, haggis neeps&tatties, cranachan what a fabulous night was had by all a big thank you to Nicky in the events team & Mark the head chef l, Anders the event coordinator & all the staff for a fantastic night of celebration

Booked throught holiday extras this hotel gave us a good nights sleep in a very clean room & comfortable bed . with an excelent breakfast cooked by a Chef who goes out of his way to prepare food as you like it . I must say its the best full inglish Ive had .The young lady at the bar prepared us the best cappuccino .We had this when we returne 3weeks later to pick up the car . We dicided to stay another night on return before diving home rather than driving back srait away .This gave us the oppertunity of enjoy another super full english.Car was left in car park of hotel take keys with you easy check in & out . Transfer to airport & pick up spot on .

Hotel was convenient for our one night stay (3 rooms) for our holiday trip. Cars were left at the hotel for the duration of the holiday as part of the deal and a taxi took us to the airport and on return we waited 10 minutes for the minibus to pick us up which very good. The downside was the fact that the hotel from the outside looked tired and needed some maintenance, family rooms were average and the the staff were very good.

Altrincham is a perculiar place to find a hotel not many choices, the Cresta court offers a very good blend of free parking, a central location and a fair price,the front lobby is ultra modern and a traditional standard reception with excellent staff is manned twenty four hours. The corridoors are quite narrow and can feel a little hemmed in but the hotel is kept to a good standard. The rooms are on the small side but furnished very well, i think since my last visit the beds have been changed and some new furniture added, some nice touches with a cosy chair to watch tv or read and biscuits with hot drinks this is a rarity these days. The bathroom is acceptable although water pressure is a bit weak, the only real negative i have is that some faint noise is heard from the air con or kitchen fans even on the third floor and this can disturb sleep to a degree, All in all i like the crest court it has a home feel to it and is so central for Altrincham and Trafford.

I had to spend a few nights in Manchester on business. I work for a charity so I try to keep my costs down. I would say that the Cresta Court compared very well with other hotels I have stayed at, even some that cost half as much again. The room was very clean. One of the bed lights was not working and the TV was on a stand that was about five degrees from horizontal but otherwise I felt that it was well maintained. There was hanging space but not a lot of room to store other clothes. I only had breakfast once but it was very good and you could eat as much as you wanted. I wish I had more capacity. The hotel has parking but I went by taxi from Stockport station as I had to see someone on the way. I went back to Stockport by train which only took about 16 minutes. There is also a direct tram service into central Manchester and the hotel is on the junction of the A56 and the A556 - so transport links are excellent. The train station is about five minutes walk from the hotel; and there is a bus station there, too. Altrincham is a handy place to base with lots of cafes, supermarkets and take-aways within walking distance.

Used this hotel twice this year great service for hotel park stay and transfer to Manchester airport good food and breakfast and dinner .very good staff Would recommend a stay from booking to transfers every went smoothly .

Currently staying at Cresta Court (yes it's that bad I need to write a review before my stay is over) and I am struggling to say anything nice about this place except the fact the chap behind the bar was very pleasant and apologetic. Rooms are tired to say the least, I'm in a king size non smoking (allegedly) room and as I said - tired looking! Old fixtures and fittings don't deliver the extra I paid for the ‘nicer” room. I also waited for over and hour in the bar for a burger & chips which eventually turned up burnt and dry!! I'm visiting Manchester on business and this clearly doesn't deliver the service expected or required for my 3 day visit. Would definitely recommend- STAYING ELSEWHERE!!

I have stayed at 3* Cresta Court (Best Western) on several occasions and it's nicely situated only a short walking distance from central Altrincham. The staff on reception are very friendly and the bar and restaurant are modern open plan and does a nice breakfast. Sadly, the bedroom I had was in need of some TLC, dated decor/little untidy in places and a shower with a mind of its own (really hot or really hot), but otherwise good value.

the room we were allocated was a gorgeous big room with a king size bed. Plenty of room, and with a table and 2 chairs, perfect for early morning cuppa or late night glass of wine, we ate in the restaurant on the first night and food and service was first class, breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

We all had a brilliant night from arriving to checking out the following morning. The room was beautifully decorated ith balloons etc.and the food was excellent. The DJ made the night with really good music that got everyone dancing. We couldn't fault anything and will definitely be going again.

Great and good... Bar and food is good and front of house is excellent Me and partner comes often and stops here... Bed is soooo comfortable we do not want to get up and clean. We will be back We do not have breakfast but have bar and restaurant food in evening Good enjoyable night

Stayed here before flying out the next day. Room of average size but cold despite a red hot radiator. Bathroom with bath dated and looking a bit sad. The stay really went downhill when we went to the restaurant. As we walked through to the restaurant passing the bar we could see it was quite busy with people eating. In the restaurant there was only one other table occupied. Our food order was taken however as it was an open kitchen you could see the bar food orders were being prepared before ours. 30-40 minutes must have passed and only when we complained was our food prepared. Even then one dish had to be sent back because it had not been prepared as requested. At no stage in all this did any of the staff ask if everything was OK. We complained to the manager on the way back to the room and we were met with a less than caring response. The manger on duty the next morning had a very different attitude and took our complaint seriously which was recognised in our final bill. Needless to say our experience will not encourage us to book here again.

Stopped last night at the hotel last night. The hotel and the room was fantastic but some other guests thought it was appropriate to argue and bang around outside our room from 1am - 3am so didn't get much sleep

we always stop at cresta court hotel when we go on holiday its perfect next to town center and trams we always stop to nights plus park for 14 nights or more also taxi to and from the airport witch is all in the price witch also is brill

I stayed here on Christmas night to avoid travel in the evening. It was a popular spot and there were lots of other people staying for one night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel looks like it has had a recent refurbishment as it was very nicely presented. A couple of things I would improve, there were no plug sockets by the beds in any of our rooms. I would have thought that this was a standard requirement these days as lots of people use their phones as alarm clocks when travelling. Also, when going back to our rooms after breakfast, none of our key cards worked, meaning a trip back to reception. Other than that, a pretty decent hotel for a short stay.

Visited the hotel bar last week before watching Man United at Old Trafford. Had the Cresta Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. I've got to say that it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Atmosphere welcoming, staff very attentive. Thoroughly recommended!

Robert the chef what a guy he is, he is the best thing about this hotel, each day after a horrible 12 hour shift I'm greeted by Robert's smile hes very friendly and is a great chef the food is amazing, he goes the extra mile to make your customer experience great! He even made me a custom sandwich to take back to my room, Guy deserves a medal! (Other than that) hotel is decent very clean and staff are polite rooms fairly small but it's my company who's paying for It so cant complain all in all I'd rate this hotel a 9 put of 10 purely because of the staff

Booked an overnight stay because of the hotel's proximity to the Airport. Nice room, very warm. Lovely comfortable bed. Downside: my Daughter had to sleep on the sofa bed. This is a danger to health as it is impossible to get in or out of without bumping or scratching something. These beds should be got rid of. Car parking is included in the price. A convenient taxi is provided for the trip to the airport and a number to ring for picking up on return.

Plenty of parking. Check in was very quick and very professional. Room very clean and today. Stayed in the suit and it's excellent and includes a lovely coffee machine and big tele. Bed comfortable and pillows lovely. Bathroom spacious and a spa bath.

The Cresta Hotel is very nice, with spacious rooms, good decor, well situated and handy for the airport. My only issue during our stay was the breakfast time. The hotel hosts a lot of parties at this time of year, so attracts a lot of overnight guests, but the number of staff allocated to serve breakfast (the breakfast itself is fine) does not meet demand. The staff on duty do their very best but the chef is unable to serve omelettes etc., due to being overrun and those serving tables were in a constant rush to assist guests but they were fighting a losing battle. Similar to last year at the same time, additional tables had to be set in the bar area to accommodate numbers but there was no sign of more staff being brought in to help deal with the problem. It is not normally my nature to look for reasons to complain but this situation stuck out like a sore thumb last year and this year. Breakfast time apart, I have no complaints. All staff were very pleasant and helpful, with facilities very good.

We had 180 work colleagues stayin in the hotel overnight before an early morning flight to Iceland. Bev and her team at Cresta Court are a 10 out of 10 - 180 bodies descended for breakfast at 5:30am and we were welcomed with a smile & brilliant service! Thank you - Ray

I'd like to start off by talking about the positives of this hotel. It's in a great location within Altrincham - you can easily walk to the centre of the town with nice restaurants and markets/shops in 5-10 minutes. There's a pretty big carpark, the choice at breakfast was good, and the staff were pleasant. We had travelled to the area for a family event so had picked the location for convenience to that, as opposed to anything else. The not-so-good was the small and incredibly dated room (lime green and brown together anyone?), worn carpet, a fair bit of someone else's hair left in the bath, the shower that flooded the bathroom floor immediately and the toilet roll handle that fell off the wall as soon as you looked at it. The walls are paper thin - you can hear everything (and I mean everything) through them. Loud TVs, sneezing, snoring, the entirety of conversations and the loud sex our immediate neighbours decided to have in the morning... although as we left we noticed that they had also left the door to their room open - classy. The thing which really affected our stay though was the conference/event which was taking place at the same time. So if you are looking at staying here I would really (really) recommend you do some research to find out if you are going to be sharing the space with a party night or something similar - and then don't stay here. There was a dance happening on the night we stayed, so the loud music from the event space which leaked to our room went on till around 1am, and while we were lucky enough not to be disturbed after that, others in our group were then kept up for hours by the after-party which went on in the room next to them (who did not turn the music off even after the hotel staff were contacted about it). The conference that was happening in the hotel while we were there happened to be for people recovering from substance abuse, and I don't know if it's normal for a Saturday night that this hotel has to have security outside, but any time we entered or left the hotel we had to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke from 25+ smokers at the front door which also leaked unpleasantly into the lobby. The environment downstairs in the evening felt loud and unpredictable, lots of shouting and roaming about going on, and not somewhere we could have relaxed, so we had to spend the evening in our tiny lime green and brown room. The next morning at breakfast was similarly zoo-like. We felt like there was no 'room' for anyone else while this event was on, if that makes sense, and were keen to leave, so my main point here is regardless of what type of event it is, it's not much fun being a guest on the sidelines when this hotel has been taken over by a large event. Take my 2/5 rating as a reflection of my personal experience here, rather than the overall hotel perhaps. If you choose to stay here, as long as you check there are no events on you will probably have an adequate, albeit very unstylish, ;) experience.

I was invited to a black tie dinner at this hotel and was impressed by the preparations and the decor. The drinks were a little OTT (£24 for an ordinary bottle of Pinot Grigio) but can't fault the service and the politeness of the staff. Despite there being a choice of main courses, my wife, 2 other guests sat at the same table and several others dotted around the room chose the risotto. Everyone of them sent their meal back, cold, tasteless and a case of one slice or two it was that pressed together. Surely a risotto shouldn't be too hard to make! It spoilt part of the night.

We booked to stay here as we had tickets for Dunham massay and don't live nearby. I think our room must have been above a party and the music was so loud and the room was vibrating. We did ring down to reception but was told the music would stop at 12:30. I understand that it probably couldn't been helped but it's really not what you want for a weekend away. Once the music did stop, we couldn't sleep anyway as the beds and pillows were so hard. The double bed was just two beds pushed together and they kept pulling apart so that there was a big gap in the middle. We left early in the morning so that we could actually go home and get some sleep. One positive though, is that the man working on the bar at night was lovely !

Noisy kitchen extraction under my room window. Couldn't get to sleep for a long time then woken early by it. Poor night sleep. Staff indifferent to the issue. This room must permanently suffer this issue, couldn't have been a surprise....
